The McLarty Treasure Museum is a hidden gem located at the site of a Spanish fleet shipwreck in the 1700s. The museum showcases salvaged items such as coins, sword hilts, rings, and dinnerware found on the beaches. It boasts a lookout point with a pirate flag and ship wheel overlooking the beach, adding to its charm. Despite its historic location and impressive collection of treasures, admission costs only $2 per person.
This is a very cool place to learn about the exploration and treasure of Spain!
The staff there were super friendly and were excellent tour guides and told me everything about the artifacts in the exhibits. The outside portion was awesome as well! Definitely coming back in the summer!

This is a very nice, albeit small, state run museum about the history of the treasure coast and the Spanish treasure fleet shipwrecked here. Admission is $2. Please bring fives and ones. They do take credit/debit, too. There’s multiple displays and dioramas, many with sound, about the history of the area, the people who lived here, and, of course, the treasures lost here. A 45 minute film runs continuously and although fairly dated it’s still interesting. They also have a boardwalk leading to an observation deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It’s accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. There’s a small gift shop with books, “coins,” maps, postcards, jewelry, and ironwood at very reasonable prices. Great way to spend an hour or two learning about the area.
Kat — Google review
Great little hidden jewel. Only $2.00 admission charge. Very informative staff and a nice video (at 45 minutes a bit long but very informative). The displays of recovered artifacts are well layed out. There is a board walk area to view the reef area where the ships went down.
Ken Hudson — Google review
Perhaps the BEST Treasure Museum in all of Florida. A fantastic array of artifacts, treasures, history and the staff provide great info and stories. You may catch a dose of "treasure fever" after leaving this place. Walk outside and take a pic at the wheel and think about what it was in those times. I highly recommend this off-hidden museum that's truly one of kind!
MannyG33309 — Google review
Such a fabulous little hidden gem of a museum! The location is gorgeous and historic. This is the exact spot where a fleet of Spanish ships sank in a hurricane in the 1700s. This museum has a gorgeous lookout point complete with a pirate flag and ship wheel overlooking the beach. The museum features all kinds of treasure found on the beaches like Spanish coins, sword hilts, rings and other dinnerware. To make it even better, it only costs $2 per person and we met the nicest docent who talked to my daughter about items found on the beaches and even gave her a few little things to take home with her! We found this place by accident on our way home from the Keys, but I'm so glad we did. Hope to return one day!
Casey M — Google review
A great way to spend a couple hours, a good movie for background on the treasure coast. $2 to get in. Worth the trip. Also Mel Fishers museum isn’t too far but is much more expensive but lots of treasures to see.
John Gillispie — Google review
We stopped by this museum and it was a highlight of our trip. I never knew about the shipwrecks and never knew this was why the area is called the “treasure coast”. The staff was incredibly friendly and genuinely excited to share their knowledge and relics. The artifacts and history boards were so interesting and the video played on repeat highly informative. It’s a fun stop and might get you excited to go hunt for nearby treasure.
Tonya Beaver — Google review
Such a lovely museum! The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The museum's collection is well kept and organized, so it's easy to follow the history and inspect various artifacts up close. The video presentation offers great insight about the 1715 fleet, so don't miss it! Overall, very pleasant and makes for a great little outing. Highly recommend to all!
Sarah Nolan — Google review
Excellent place to visit! Lots of information and treasure finds on the 11 ships lost in 1715. They provide a 45 minute video on the history of the shipwrecks and you can tour the building at your own pace. Very knowledgeable guides and super nice. Observation deck that overlooks the beach/ocean. Wheelchair accessible and seating provided throughout.

What a great place to visit and learn about the treasures. Corey had lots of interesting information to tell. Thanks for a wonderful visit. The video was very good, needs a bit of an update in the time frame to be more recent as well.

A small museum that gives a brief history of the intersting history in the area. Worth a visit if you are in the area

Always great to visit and share stories about the 1715 Fleet with park employees and fellow 1715 Fleet members that u may run into. Nice displays of artifacts and colonial currency, weapons of the period. Amazing story of shipwreck survival, treasure, and the treasure hunters who found it. Definitely a great place to visit if you are into history shipwrecks pirates and treasure!
Sebastian Inlet State Park is a great place to go for outdoor activities like surfing and fishing. There are also areas for swimming and wading, making it a relaxing environment perfect for all types of visitors.
If you want a quiet, family friendly place to hang out and swim and site see, this is the place! We were staying in Orlando, FL May 1st '22 - May 6th '22 and wanted to see some clear blue water without all the chaos at the popular beaches. It was a little over an hour and a half drive from Orlando, but it was worth every minute! The water was crisp blue, there was a small inlet where you could swim in and didn't have to worry about crashing waves. There were several piers you could walk in to just embrace the beautiful scenery. To top it off, they had a bar and grille there with awesome food and drinks! My husband and I ordered the fried clams, bacon cheeseburger, and fish & chips. It was all good! You have to go here to appreciate the beauty of this place.
Tina — Google review
The actual “inlet” that everyone wants to go to is on the west side of the road at the parking right before the bridge. Doesn’t seem super obvious from the google maps location. Just park and enjoy the protected waters. Parking is by car and was $8 definitely worth it. You get access to both the beach and the inlet.

Excellent place to spend the day out camp near the water. I haven't ever seen so many sea turtles in one spot in my life. Boat ramp to launch a boat, intercoastal wade fishing is phenomenal. Kayak fishing is amazing, along with pier and jetty fishing. A beautiful lagoon to swim in for the kids and family. Perfect for a day trip.

They have a small cove that's great for kids! Its like a sandbar... Many people brought canopies, chairs and floats. It's close to bathrooms (they have changing rooms) and eating. You can also bring coolers. They have a bait shop, an entrance to the beach and fishing off the jetty. Varied and quite enjoyable
Elena Boughey — Google review
Sebastian State Park is amazing. First I have to say is the Park Rangers and staff which there is also volunteer staff, are all helpful, polite, and professional. They really make the Park n Campground extra amazing. From the beach, through the monster mouth inlet, to the Indian River Lagoon, this is where you want to bring your bikini, fishing pole and your camera. What a beautiful State Park, GODS most creative art work. Dog Friendly, just follow park rules and no issues..

Beautiful state park with plenty of areas to explore. The RV camp area sits adjacent to water access making kayaking, fishing, swimming and water activities extremely easy to access. The breeze keeps even the hot days nice and manageable

We camp here every year for my husband's birthday. The park was well kept and quiet, and the bathrooms were clean. As always, we really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice, well kept, and spacious camp sites! The bathhouse(s) were very well kept and stocked with paper etc. We only stayed one night BUT we will be back to check out all the fun things to do in the area! Bring your fishing gear, boats, etc. We also loved the little fishing museum (free to attend) on site! The very informative video is packed with great info about the areas history! Be sure to watch for the MANY turtles, dolphins and beautiful birds in the park!
Victoria Price Avon ISR — Google review
Such a beautiful spot to stop in and check out. Our beach house provided a great setup so I wouldn't spend the day here..but it's worth a visit for sure. We waded in the inlet, and the kids tried to snorkel, but it wasn't as clear as we hoped. The boardwalk is lovely and easy to access to check out some action. We saw lots of manatee, crabs, different sorts of fish, and gorgeous views.
Lindsay Prose — Google review
Spent a day here with my young children. By far the cleanest beach I’ve been on in Florida. The Atlantic beaches had large waves and cold water, but the north river inlet was zero waves and warmer, shallow water. The bathrooms were clean and all staff were friendly. Saw dolphins, turtles and countless birds.
Lee Kyler — Google review
Great place to visit and spend some time. Walked the peer and watched the folks fishing. Looking into the inlet I saw a couple of large dark shadows, turned out to be a couple of Rays gliding up the inlet. Plenty of people using the small bay but I can imagine it gets busy at the weekend. Nice little cafe serving hot and cold snacks and drinks. Well worth the parking fee.
Vincent Worrall — Google review
It's an older State Park but it's well maintained. We camped in space 60 for two nights in May and the full cost was $51.50 with the senior discount - the base cost was $13 a day but they add on fees for utilities and booking the site in advance. It was reasonably private and very quiet; lots of places to walk and sights to see. Sites are generously sized. Camp hosts were friendly. Winds whipped up in the afternoons which made it impossible to have a fire so we had dinner inside our van both nights. It's free to dump your holding tanks.q

I am glad we decided to drive on A1A Hwy was suggested by a local resident. We stopped and checked out the Sebastian Inlet State Park admmiss is $8. It is very clean and nice camping, swimming, fishing and picnic area. I do suggest a little more shade in the park overall is a great place to visit.
Jojo Wan — Google review
An absolutely beautiful location! Views from many campsites are incredible! It's August and in the 90s but sitting in shade with sea breeze is beautiful. Fishing is good too! Noseeums can be a nuisance but still a great place to get away!

Incredible State Park. Great beach access and spots to fish the inlet. Nice museum on the south side. Ample parking and camping spots available.

Nice spot to photograph diving osprey, pelicans, terns, and gulls. We also saw black skimmers, reddish egrets, Wilson's Plovers, and all the usual suspects. But beware the noseeums and sand fleas --- they will eat you alive!

Stopped to enjoy the park, have lunch and walk our two best friends. Beautiful area. Well stocked Store and the small museum was very informative. Right across the water is the Indian River Lagoon Preserve State Park.

Relaxing, family-friendly environment. Perfect for fishing, building sandcastles, reading a book, having a picnic, and swimming with wild dolphins. Please respect the animals if you come. No touching!!!

Beautiful state park here. We had a party of 6 in one suv running us $8.00 for entrance. That price covers up to 8 per vehicle. The parking lot here is in a little rough condition. Depending on events going on it may or may not be easy to find a place to park. The views here are wonderful and worth it. There's food here and large clean bathrooms. Showers just off the beach are a large help. It worth going out and spending some time here. Family friendly
Cory Brown — Google review
Very busy but extremely cool State Park. There's so much to do it's crazy. Launch a boat, hike, surf, fish, swim in tide pool, camp, have dinner. The rangers are very nice, wildlife viewing is off the charts. If you hang out by the fish cleaning stations a while you'll see the Pelican's do what they do best - wait around to take fish and scraps. The squirrels seem to have be accustomed to people feeding them however - I had two of them beg me for my chips (an inch away from my foot)
Maureen Kennedy — Google review
Wonderful place! Took all the kids & got to see dolphins while we were swimming. Found crabs in all the rocks. Was able to take a cooler and hang out in the water all day. You can walk all the way to the river waist high. Great for kids!
Arial Shelton — Google review
What a great place to visit. My family packed a lunch and made use of the picnic area on the south side of the inlet. We noticed that this side has some nice campsites. We didn't camp here, but we will consider it on my next visit.
Don't forget to drive over to the north side of the inlet. The boardwalk goes out a distance and you'll see fishermen casting their lines. You can walk around the park, enjoy the beach area or even stop at the restaurant.

Love this park, the staff are amazing. The location, fishing, birds, wild life. The water is beautiful. 10 stars!
Gwen Cook — Google review
This park has something for everyone! From fishing to swimming, surfing, and picnicking, the activities are endless. The scenic fishing pier and stunning beaches are just the beginning. We loved having plenty of tables and shaded areas to relax with our family. Plus, the RV areas and ample parking made it easy to spend the whole day here. The $8 entry fee for a car is a steal for all the amenities and natural beauty on offer. We'll be back again and again! 🌴 Highly recommend!"
The Vero Beach Museum of Art is a contemporary regional museum that showcases American and international visual art collections. Its sleek, white building located in Riverside Park offers changing fine-art exhibitions and regular outdoor jazz concerts. The museum features a small but carefully chosen selection of works from famous artists such as Monet, Matisse, Picasso Rembrandt, Hockney, Warhol, Cassat, Rockwell and more.
Small but lovingly curated museum. Lovely outdoor sculpture garden. We visit once a year on vacation and there are always different and extensive exhibits. The current exhibit features local private collections. Stunning works from Monet, Matisse, Picasso Rembrandt, Hockney, Warhol, Cassat, Rockwell, and more. Highly recommend. During pre-pandemic times and hopefully in the future there is a nice cafe.

Impressive museum for a "small town". Staff was amazing and displays of art pieces from local artists was really neat. To see a Picasso or Matisse not far from an up and coming local talent shows you how amazing the Vero community is. Would highly recommend. Don't forget to see the outside sculptures in the back.

First time visiting here. I went over the weekend .Although it was nice and had an interesting Egyptian display with lots of interesting information. The museum was a bit small than others I have been to. Luckily there was a free art show outside the museum going so we went there afterwards which was nice. Nice spot to waste an hour for 2. This museum is located inside a beautiful park.

Great little museum but professionally taken care of with amazing exhibits. Always check on what's upcoming on their website featuring art, photography, paintings, sculpture and video. They also have an art school for kids along with workshops.

We came to the MOA to see Rolling Sculpture. We had not been here previously. There is plenty of parking and we took some time walking the grounds prior to going inside. The Museum is small, with only a few exhibition halls, but it is beautiful. We spent about two hours here and really enjoyed the visit.

Ok, not a art critic but this place is very cool. Spent a day here with the wife. Very elegant and classy. Staff was super nice and knowledgeable from my point of view. Check out there schedule, worth going too. Will go back

We had a homeschool field trip to the Vero art museum, and I think we were one of the first groups to come for a field trip since everything has opened up again. Our group was mostly younger children with my son being the only older age one. A group was given several sets of tour guides and all the guides were very friendly and knowledgeable.
There is a children's section to the museum though it wasn't open when we visited. There's also a garden area but it started raining during our tour so we couldn't access it, the pavers get slippery in the rain.
I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of art given how small the museum looks from the outside, and there was a lot of attention to detail given during the tours. There is a small gift shop here.

We visited the Vero Beach Museum of Art and took a guided tour of the exhibit Rolling Sculptures. It was an excellent experience. Our Docent, Deborah Flynn, was charming, patient, knowledgeable and enjoyed taking us walking around the cars, motorcycles and mascots. It was a very interesting well curated exhibit that took us all back to a time in history full of creativity and contrasts.

The night projector installations a brilliant idea. Something really nice to do after hours and enjoy the creativity of others and experience with alike of the community. Such a fun and creative idea definitely should consider this monthly as an event to attend to and rotating the art and themes it as it goes. Thank you for doing this!

Lovely place! The M. C. Escher exhibit is a lot of fun and I suggest you all go and see it while it’s up. The museum guides are very friendly and come up to you to talk about the artists and tell you a bit about their life. Beautiful and well maintained place!

What a great museum. Today we saw the MC Escher exhibit and we loved it! Very clean and quiet. We will be back.

I’m not extremely into art but this exhibit is very cool. I had the pleasure of being in town while the MC Escher exhibit was available which was the main reason I decided to go. It did not disappoint. I really enjoy his artwork and the trippy ideas he had. Was nice that military/first responders get in free.

One of the best museums I’ve ever visited! I’ll be honest I didn’t expect much from this museum because I was visiting Fort Pierce (somewhere I’ve never heard of) with a friend and we were looking for something fun to do. I didn’t expect such amazing and emotionally moving works of art. This has taught me not to judge a book by its cover (or not to judge a place just because you’ve never heard of it!). I’ve added my photos of my two favorite pieces. If I ever visit Vero Beach again this is the first place I’ll be visiting. Thank you for displaying such wonderful artwork!

This is an unexplored gym, who knew? The grounds are spectacular and the facility is First Rate. We didn't know about this place, but we do now!
The McKee Botanical Gardens is an 18-acre plot of land on the National Register of Historic Places that boasts a lush and serene tropical jungle garden filled with exotic and native plants and trees. Visitors can enjoy a range of amenities, including a library, cafe, gift shop, and children's center with a splash pad. The gardens offer plenty of photo opportunities featuring different orchids and fun dinosaur exhibits.
What an amazing peaceful place. The grounds are spectacular and clean. With all the different trails you are always finding something different. Got kids? There is an area just for them...and it's awesome! FUN!

This garden is wonderful. If you’re thinking even a little bit about visiting, DO IT!
First off, it’s very affordable, the staff is all very friendly and helpful, and the entire grounds is spotless.
Secondly, the area is huge with something magical to look at every single step you take. Make sure to get a map since a lot of the paths are interweaving.
We ended up buying a membership as we left and already excited to visit again soon. HIGHLY suggest a stop by. It’s something you will likely remember for a very long time after you leave.

We had a fantastic time! So beautiful! I took along my two tiny travelers, a two year old and a 12 year old. They both had a blast. They enjoyed the trails. The tot could not stop talking about the giant mushroom statue. And they loved cooling off in the splash pad area. Highly suggest going, great for kids and adults of all ages. We spent about 3 hours or so. And we probably still didn’t see all of it. As we spent most of the time in the children’s garden. But we are already planning another trip!
Phylicia Herline — Google review
Beautiful garden with lots of pretty flowers, ponds, and trees. Also saw lots of interesting reptiles running around.
The kids' zone looked like a fun spot for young kids who like climbing and exploring. The kids' zone also had those in ground water spouts/fountains that shoot up water for kids to get wet/cool down so be sure to bring their trunks/bathing suits if you don't mind them getting wet.
Can get a little warm on a hot summer day, but there are a lot of shaded trails that help with the temperatures.

This visit, the last before our two boys have a baby sister join the pack, was all about the kiddos.
The yearly family pass is a great investment for anyone who has the ability to visit several times a year and, while we've been busy with our recent move to Vero along with projects with our "new" 1933 house and ~1 acre lot and therefore have only visited two times since buying the pass in July, it was still worth it.
Hopefully, I'll be able to peruse the beautiful gardens next time; this visit was straight into the kids splash area, then to the pirates ship (it made me conscious of my back's decline in flexibility!), then back to the car. Destination: Ice Cream!

The McKee Botanical Gardens was beautiful! Lots of great photo opportunities. A lot of different orchids and fun dinosaurs across the area with a cute kids center if you bring your kids. There is a Cafe, though it was closed when we went. Hope there are more variations of plants for our next visit, but overall really loved it!

Beautiful garden with a dense canopy and lots of opportunities for capturing intimate shots. A smaller size property compared to some, made for a nice leisurely walk while still seeing everything. A little off the beaten path but well worth the drive. Great kids area with a unique playground.

Ti had been wanting to visit since moving into the area over 4 years ago, and I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit on July 19th. We entered at about 3:30, knowing that the gardens closed at 5, but we managed to see most of the property. Thankfully, there were plenty of shady areas and trails to keep us from overheating on the hot July day (*you are permitted to bring water with you). There are a lot of interesting features and beautiful plants. Some are identified by markers and/or signage, and it would be helpful if more were. We had the added treat of an interesting exhibit of "balanced rock sculptures" that were displayed throughout the grounds. They even had a map showing where each of the 25 installations were located, and while we found many, we ran of time before finding all 25. I would highly recommend purchasing one of the membership options, as the admission fee is $15 per adult for a single day visit, yet you can purchase a 1 year membership for a single adult at $50 which allows unlimited visits for a full year from date of purchase (*another membership option for 1 adult plus a guest is only $60 for a year of visits). I look forward to returning, but plan to go earlier to have more time to explore!

A very well maintained and quite exotic garden. Lots of water ways and butterflies all around. We saw plenty of fish and a couple of small turtles on our visit. There were some nice artful touches as well as several tastefully constructed shaded areas and a large central building with an historic overview video presentation. There is an on site resteraunt (we didn't use) that looked very nice and had inside and shaded outside seating. The staff were lovely and our visit was well worth the entrance fee due to the professional way the gardens are managed.

Beautiful peaceful place to walk through! Plants, waterfalls, trees, ponds, stone bridge and nice trails carved throughout.
The artists that made bamboo statues of birds were very interesting!
There is a restaurant, gift shop and public restrooms.
Plenty of parking and reasonable entry fee.
There are planned events posted for kids on a sign.
A lot of people contributed a lot of time and effort to preserve this area making it a beautiful place to enjoy!

Beautiful and small botanical garden. Easy for seniors and people in wheel chairs to access. I went with my father and we had a wonderful time. Make sure to put bug spray on before you go as it is very much a tropical garden.
I was surprised by how nice the Cafe on site was. I got an iced coffee and freshly baked chocolate croissant and it was absolutely delicious. They also offered complimentary strawberry and mint water. Which was very refreshing after being out in the Florida heat..

Very well-maintained garden surrounding a maze of streams and ponds. I visited in the middle of the day, during the middle of September. Although it was a little humid, my stroll was pretty much shaded the whole time. It took me about an hour and a half to walk the trails. Can you imagine what it would’ve been like to visit this place in 1932, when there was wildlife like monkeys, big game, and alligators? My thanks to Arthur and Waldo for this awesome attraction! Also, kudos to the people who’ve maintained it over the years 😍😊😘

I'm only giving it 5 stars because I can't give 10. Great gardens. The new children's area is top notch. Very well thought out with perfect activities for kids. Bring clothes the kids can get wet in to enjoy the splash pad but plenty of great places for the kids and parents even without the splash pad. The gardens themselves are very well thought out and have great picture spots. We actually arrived right as it started to rain and thought the paths would not be good after it rained but they were actually perfect. The gravel they use on the paths made them not muddy and very enjoyable to walk on even wet. The rain actually cleared the gardens out of people so we had the place to ourselves for a while after the rain stopped. They have a very nice cafe for food and drinks. And the staff was great.

We do enjoy visiting this botanical garden 🪴 We are pass holders (which I highly recommend. It’s a bit more than a regular entry but well worth it, as you get entry into several other gardens, as well). They have special events throughout the year that you won’t want to miss. We just went for the holiday lights (they have a special night for pass holders). It was pretty, as always, but it seemed like they didn’t have as much this year. Don’t be discouraged though. Be sure to check it out during the day too. There is a little cafe, but it doesn’t appear to be very dietary restriction friendly. They have a kid zone which is Awesome and a little gift shop too.

Been twice and will be back again. I find it therapeutic just to wander through the beautiful trails.
Lots of labels so you can identify the plants. Highlights for me were the gorgeous water lilies on the pond and the kaleidoscope area. The visuals were stunning. Trails are easy to follow, mostly in shade. Check out the Hall of Giants for some history. You can do most everything in 2 hrs. Separate event: The annual car show (Feb) was crowded- come early next year or plan to park offsite and take a shuttle.

A lovely historical "jungle" barn and garden that have been restored! The current exhibit of avian sculptures made it interesting and fun to search for each one, and signage provided information about each bird species. Numerous plants were in bloom. This is a perfect afternoon excursion, and you could have lunch in the cafe. We saw people of all ages. Peaceful, lovely trails that were easy to navigate with a map. Not all paved, but I did see some light wheel chairs being pushed.

I’ve been to 3 botanical
Gardens in the last few weeks and this by far is #1 out of all those. The Christmas tree light display was beyond incredible. Everything was set up so perfect and precise. The staff was very friendly and guided you like you were on a tour. $15 admission. Got there at 6pm when it opened and it was packed already. Will return next year for hopefully another visit.

This place was a 2 hour drive for me and 15$ a piece to get in (2 of us) but when I tell you their place was so well worth it it was. You can spend hours in here and just get lost. I love it and will
Come back it’s gorgeous in here!!!!!! There is a cafe inside so no need to leave just enjoy
The National Navy SEAL Museum is a compact but impressive establishment with displays showcasing the history and equipment used by the Navy SEALs. Visitors can explore exhibits of armory, weaponry, and historical artifacts while also experiencing a realistic feeling of being a paratrooper inside a helicopter. The museum has an excellent section on Medal of Honor recipients, which highlights their bravery in full detail. Additionally, visitors can learn about the various operations that were conducted by Navy Seals outside declared wars such as Panama and Haiti.
This is a small museum but packed full of excellent exhibits, armory, movies and weaponry. The volunteer docents were very good and explained everything to us before we entered. Climb inside the helicopter and you will get a realistic feeling of what it was like to be a paratrooper. The Medal of Honor section was excellent because it gave the full story of the bravery of the recipients. We particularly enjoyed seeing all of the operations that were conducted by Navy Seals outside of declared wars (Panama, Haiti, etc.) The Normandy section was very good as were the sections on canines. Great experience.

The museum was a fantastic experience. It's not the biggest, but each item and exhibit was authentic and high quality. Extra points if you are able to speak to some of the workers regarding the origin stories of some of the pieces. There is a military discount for veterans and active duty. The grounds outside the building also have really great exhibits. To cap it off, you can walk from the parking lot to the beach and enjoy some fun and sun all in one visit

This place is cool! The outdoors are totally free and perfect for kids (of all ages). There is a fee to tour the museum inside. The ships are amazing and really give you a sense of the hardships of battle. After your done here, you can go directly to the beach in the same parking lot, or the playground next door. BTW parking is ample and also free 😃

Great place if you are there when there is not a crowd. I enjoyed all the exhibits. They were quite interesting and the obstacle course outside was fun. At the same time, I was quite disappointed about the inconsistency of mask wearing among the staff and the inability to socially distance within this setting. That's why I only gave a 4. We were between 2 large groups of people who were oblivious to everyone else around them and totally ignored any type of 6 foot space. Even a staff member who was unmasked continued to approach me (masked )to talk about something-disregarding my "No, thankyou"'s and my backing away from him. I just found it surprising during Covid. I think it would work better if there was perhaps an overall limit on the number of people in the building at one time so there is more ability to have some distance from others.

Being a Navy Veteran, this place has been on my list for a while. I finally got the opportunity to go today. (9/3/22) It's an INCREDIBLE experience. A very well laid out museum with tons to see and interact with. It really brought back a lot of memories for me.
If you are planning on going, set aside a GOOD block of time. Also try to go when the weather is good because there is a lot to see outside on the grounds as well.
Just an overall incredible experience. I look forward to going back, hopefully with friends and share all the history contained therein.

This museum has so much information so I recommend allotting 2-3 hours to tour. I really enjoyed my time there and learned so much about the Histiry of the Navy Seals.
The museum and grounds are spectacular and so well kept. I was super impressed with everything.
Mr. Andy Brady runs the museum and he shared quite a bit of the SEAL history as we were leaning facility.
There is a store on site with souvenirs and more. I highly recommend visiting if in the area or have a passion for the Navy Seals.

I brought my two year old and my 8 year old here. I was able to use a wagon and navigate thru pretty okay. It has lots of gear, weapons, machinery-pretty much everything navy seals use and have used. They show you the changes in equipment over the decades. They have an outdoor obstacle course that the navy seals use. My son had fun. They also had some boats, and other vehicles that you can actually get inside of. There is a small memorial garden honoring fallen seals throughout the different wars. I feel like it’s a bit pricey for what they have and to be honest to allow people to experience history. Adults are $15, children are $7 and toddlers and infants are free.
There are a couple of picnic tables you can sit at and snack on. It does say no backpacks or big bags but because I had my son I guess they let me through with them-they didn’t question me.

So much better than expected! My wife spent a lot more time reading the displays next to the exhibits, and was more interested than she thought she would have been going in. The story telling is great, displays include everything from vehicles, boats, helicopters and gear. Great gift shop with reasonable things appropriate for friends and family. Discounts for families, seniors and vets. Go!

What a tribute to those who have kept us safe and freedom alive! Weapons, vehicles, and moving stories of heroic sacrifice fill every corner. Modern static and interactive displays. Videos are so well done. Full size Blackhawk Helicopter inside. History spans from early beginnings as training ground right in Fort Pierce for WWII UDT Frogmen to today's SEAL (Sea/Air/Land) Teams. Outside is an amazing collection of boats and displays. Gift shop is well stocked with many mementos for your visit. We took 2 hours and scratched the service. Tickets are so reasonably priced. Don't miss WII beginnings: Normandy Invasion clearing mines and beach fortifications while being shot at and all with "swim trunks and a knife".

The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum in Florida is truly an epic experience for anyone interested in the history of the Navy SEALs and the incredible sacrifices they've made for our country. From the moment you step onto the grounds of the museum, you can feel the weight of the history and the importance of the mission these brave men have undertaken.
The museum is filled with an amazing collection of artifacts, exhibits, and interactive displays that bring to life the heroic stories of the Navy SEALs. From the early days of the Underwater Demolition Teams to the modern-day operations, every aspect of their remarkable journey is captured in vivid detail.
The highlight of the museum is undoubtedly the actual gear, weapons, and equipment used by the SEALs, including the famous MK V Special Operations Craft and the SEAL Delivery Vehicle. Walking through these displays, you can't help but be in awe of the skill, bravery, and dedication of these warriors.
The museum also offers a number of hands-on experiences, like the chance to climb aboard a real Navy SEAL Mini-Sub and to test your skills on the SEAL Obstacle Course. These activities give you a small glimpse into the intense training and preparation that these elite soldiers undergo in order to carry out their missions.
One of the most moving parts of the museum is the tribute to the fallen heroes of the SEAL teams. The memorial wall and the displays honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice serve as a powerful reminder of the tremendous courage and sacrifice of these brave men.
The staff at the museum are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated to sharing the incredible history and legacy of the Navy SEALs. Their enthusiasm and willingness to engage with visitors make the experience even more enriching.
Visiting the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum is not just a visit to a museum; it's an opportunity to gain a deep understanding and appreciation for the men who have served and continue to serve in the Naval Special Warfare community. This museum provides a truly epic and humbling experience that will leave you with a profound sense of respect and admiration for the Navy SEALs and their unwavering commitment to our their nation.

Leave it to UDT (oh yeah, Seals) to have a museum this awesome. We've visited three times and each time learn something new or discover a display that somehow missed our attention on the previous visit.
Make sure to visit on a sunny day as the outside displays (mostly SDVs and watercraft) are worth the walk.
The gift store? Just have your credit card at the ready, that's all I have to say about that.

The Elliot museum is a very cool looking modern building near the beach. It has a rotating exhibit that feature local artists and photographers. It has some interesting historical information about people and places in Florida. There is a large collection of old cars, trucks, bikes, motorcycles, and an airplane. My favorite part was the old general store that is from the late 1800's.

I hadn’t been here since the new building was constructed 10 years ago. The car collection is certainly a highlight, as is the system that allows you to select and bring down cars from the upper levels for a closer examination. However there are other impressive displays as well, including a wonderful selection of paintings by The Highwaymen.

The Elliot museum's car collection is primarily model A and T older cars, but there are several more modern cars to enjoy.
The real amazing part of this collection is that nearly 50 cars are racked in an automated storage system. Each car requested for viewing is brought out of the three story racks and placed on a revolver turntable for viewing. A technological marvel worth the visit.
The staff were pleasant and willing to show me many requests for specific cars.
I enjoyed it immensely and recommend a visit if you are in the Stuart Florida area or passing nearby on travel.

Great museum with rich history of the Treasure Coast. Great selection of cars with a cool system to take a car off a multi-level rack to a display. Just pick the car and the device rings the car front and center and gives you a 360 view.
Interesting display as this is a replica of a steam engine that was produced in my hometown in upstate New York.

The Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center is a 57-acre research and educational site featuring a network of nature trails, a lagoon, and saltwater tanks. Visitors can explore the building's interactive games, learn about Florida's water and animals in the museum, and take advantage of restrooms on-site. The attraction offers a chance to feed stingrays and invertebrates while observing large saltwater turtles and fish up close. Admission prices are $8 for children and $16 for adults.
April 2022 - what a great place. The kids loved this place and we had a hard time getting them to go. In the building they have some games you can play. Restrooms, a little museum about the animals, Florida water, ect. Very cool place to visit and we have no wait. Their is a trail but we didn't go that far. It was really hot outside for us with 3 daughters under 10. I highly recommend this place.

Such a great Place! Years ago they were tiny but just as great, now they have built and expanded so many beautiful and truly enriching experiences on the property. There is a beautiful gift shop when you walk in ( be prepared to want to shop, truly I wish I had for that in my budget it’s like a mermaid emporium) and then they have a stingray touch pool just outside that we’re you can sit and learn about them and also touch them- including toddlers which was very cool. My little 2 year old darling was so excited by them and would have jumped in if I let her ha! Next to that is an interactive young childrens area- both are outside. Then the newest attraction is a big “air conditioned” building with another interactive room with puzzles for older kids and then a nice small little museum type walk through that introduces you to our local marine ecosystems which was done really well. Again my toddler could not get enough and we spent a good hour walking through it several times over! Everyone is very nice and informative as well. Outside that is a huge estuary I guess you could say. A man made giant “ lagoon “ as it’s called there or big pond that has a huge walk around deck ( which also leads to some pretty cool wildlife trails) and in it you’ll find all sorts of big ocean life including turtles, stingrays, and even nurse sharks which was pretty cool to us!!!
I explained all this so that hopefully someone reading this can see how worthwhile it is to go here! You and your kids will love it!

Amazing place to learn about and see Florida marine wildlife! They have stingrays in a touch tank you can feed, a huge pond/aquarium with tons of fish, sea turtles, an octopus, and a nature trail. This is a very educational spot to spend some outdoor time. Really big lagoon with rays, fish, and turtles all swimming about. There's plenty of educational placards and displays as well as different talks given. Take a walk on the nature trail through the mangroves (best enjoyed after liberal application of DEET) and see their oyster reclamation project. A big plus is that active duty military and veterans get in free.

My wife would likely disagree with the five stars due to the smell in the Nature Trail, but I thought it was a fun experience.
Great access to animals of all kinds. Really interesting exhibits in the park.
In my opinion, the VERY SMELLY Nature Trail is a 3/4-mile walk through an actual marsh. The methane gases due to decomposing detritus (and who knows what else) are REALLY strong, but it was lots of fun.

Bathtub Beach is a family-friendly destination with a unique feature - during low tide, the reef creates a shallow pool resembling a bathtub. This makes it an ideal spot for young kids and those who want to swim without worrying about the tide. The beach offers limited parking but provides amenities such as a gazebo, shower, and bathroom. Additionally, Bathtub Beach is handicap accessible with designated parking and wheelchair-accessible sidewalks leading to an overlook pavilion and sun deck.
Bathtub beach is awesome if you have young kids or want to go into the water and not worry about the tide. The reef is a great barrier and during low tide creates a shallow pool, which is why it is named bathtub beach. Parking is very difficult most days and is very limited. It does have a gazebo, one shower, and a bathroom.
Chad Rockefeller — Google review
One of my favourite beaches. It gets its name due to an area that is corrderned off by a coral reef. So the swim area is warm and you are able to walk out quite far. Safe for the kids to enjoy playing in the water. 😊
NOTE: At this time the bathtub is temporarily closed for restructuring.

Beach is wide with hilly beach. Sand is coarse (shells). Very clean. Sections of the beach have nice shallow waters for children so it's very popular. Also near the very end of Hutchinson Island. A rock reef off shore breaks with waves ... Very pretty.

One of my favorite beaches. When the tide is low, you can appreciate the shallow water and small pools are formed making it safer for young children. Water visibility also becomes crystal clear. Great beach to find all size shells.

A Handicap accessible beach!! YES, YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY! There’s parking with sidewalks accessible for wheelchairs. There’s an handicap accessible overlook with a pavilion and sun deck. The beach is perfect for new and casual swimmers. The reef creates a lovely pool and sandbar.

Found my new get-a-way beach. This great little beach is tucked away from other busy beaches. The ocean was the perfect temperature and the sand was clean and soft. It was not crowded which is nice and there were family with children enjoying the serenity of the peaceful shore.
Plenty of lifeguards to ensure the safety of visitors, showers to wash off and a wooden gazebo where you can sit and have a nice lunch. Parking is limited so get there early. I've read that its a nice place to snorkel but unfortunately the ocean was rough today due to yesterday's storm but I'll be back. Bring the family, pack a lunch and come enjoy one of the best kept secrets on the treasure coast .

Supposably this is a great beach for snorkeling, but it looked like it got hammered from a hurricane this year. A lot of erosion. There was a purple and a yellow flag up so we didn't go in. The Purple flag is because there is some creatures in the water you shouldn't be swimming with like sharks or jellyfish. Yellow flag is usually a rip tide or rough water. Maybe we'll try again next trip.

The Jonathan Dickinson State Park is located just north of the late Burt Reynolds' estate and boasts of 16 natural communities which include the Loxahatchee River, river swamps, and mangroves. The park offers opportunities for kayaking, canoeing and hiking along the river shaded by cypress trees.
Camped here for 2 nights with our big Fifth Wheel. Great park with full hook ups! RV lots are spacious and pretty level. Almost all spots are fairly close to the bath houses. Very clean and well kept. Lots of trails to explore. Close to the beach and popular tourist spots. We will definitely be returning!

We recently stayed at the River side campground at this park and were pleasantly surprised. We stayed at site #100, which I believe is one of the best sites on that side, pretty spacious and close to the restrooms, which helps since these are not full hookup sites (only water and electric). The park itself is huge with beautiful scenery and offers various activities (biking, hiking, canoeing, horseback riding). We really enjoyed riding our bicycles on the paved path and going up to the Hobe observatory to look at the sunset. The park is also located close to other popular spots in Jupiter, such as the Jupiter lighthouse and the Blowing Rocks preserve. Overall, we had a great time and definitely recommend this park.

Campsites were fabulous - full hook up in Prairie Loop, large site, and very clean. The boat tour and trapper tour was great, but a bit pricey at $30 each for a family of four for an hour and a half. Calm river waters for kayaking and fantastic visitor center with plenty of interactive exhibits. The trails are predominantly geared towards mountain bikers for obstacles though. The walking trails were short and upper platform was closed at the observation tower, so park improvements could be made for walkers/hikers. All rangers met were very friendly!

Camping grounds well maintained. Added feature of being able to hook up sewer line from RV at the campsite. Not much privacy between sites, no big trees or brush. Huge state park, looks like if you have bikes or kayaks there are plenty of trails and a waterway to paddle. Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse is just down the road, about 10 minutes away and definitely worth seeing.

Just wanted to let you know that our Girl Scout troop had a fantastic weekend at Jonathan Dickinson. We saw Otters and slept next to Sandhill Cranes and what appeared to be their nest, and a huge variety of wildlife. Massive gator tail and tracks through the campsite were a nice touch. We stayed at the Youth Primitive Campsite. Wonderful hiking trails. Absolutely beautiful and pristine country. Wildly impressed with the size and diversity there. The staff was really amazing as well. Rangers came out to check on us after a rather nasty storm. They called during the storm and then followed up in person. They ended up with hail at the ranger station and we just a massive amount of rain in a short time. All the staff and volunteers at the Education Center were really nice, took their time with the girls and managed to handle all the other traffic coming in as well. All went well. Everyone came home with a good experience and great stories and memories. That is truly a special place.

Arrived for a last minute 2 night reservation as a refuge from Bahia Honda State Park. Made the call to confirm the park was open and not closing due to a tropical storm watch. Very friendly check in by 2 park rangers. Stayed by river side camping. Our site had an issue with the 30amp, switched to 50 amp and it was resolved. No shade and no privacy but very nice to have a concrete pad so close to bath house. Many ants throughout site and bath house. Walked trails over to educational center and gift shop/kayak rental (gift shop very nice). Drove to look out tower on a very windy day.. beautiful! I would not recommend the “swimming” area with rope enclosure. Kayaked at boat launch where the nicest kayak launch was slightly hidden. Beautiful kayaking and a must do. ***NO CELL SIGNAL WITH VERIZON**** and 2 bars with AT&T

This is the best RV camping parks in America I have visited. Varied landscapes, clean and efficiently managed. Staff knowledgeable and polite. Even other campers were terrific. But you have to book as soon as possible, like other Florida sites, there are too many weekend users who take up all reservation weeks leaving those of us traveling distances out of full week possibilities. But great park.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park. A wonderful park with a variety of activities to do; ranging from hiking, kayaking, swimming, biking, or anything in between. Quite a few trails that span a great distance into the forests surrounding the area, as well as a great overlook towards the front of the park. The greatest attraction is the boat ride out to Trapper Nelson's settlement, where the rider can sightsee an amazing river along the way. Additionally, the park has a visitor center, picnic tables, and a concessions area for recreational usage. Overall, a fantastic place to spend an afternoon.

In my opinion this is not a good camping option for tent campers looking to get away from everything however there are a couple primitive camping sites that I will be back to try. Rangers/staff were all very friendly and helpful. Hiked up the tower for an AMAZING view (highly recommend)

This is a large park with many things to do. Camping for RVs or tents are at the end of the road by the Loxahatchee River. There are many miles of trails throughout the park. Pick up a map when you enter the park. There are a few maps of different areas showing the marked trails. There are also unmarked trails throughout the park. We walked 5 miles down at the end of the road in the Kitching Creek area. We headed both north on a wide trail (rangers drive on it) which goes for many miles and then took a few smaller nature trails to the south of the parking area down to the campground.
There is a roped-off swimming area with signs that say “no lifeguards on duty” and signs that say Alligators are in the area. As nice as it looks, I think I’ll swim someplace else.
There is a large mountain biking area. It has bathrooms, a bike repair station and even a wash station for after your ride. There were a bunch of cars in the parking lot and a few people getting ready to ride. It must be a great place to ride. Easy trails with little hills.
I want to get back to walk on some of the different trails.

This is a great place to relax and have fun. They have a boat tour up the Loxahatchee River to Trapper Nelson's, where a Ranger can give you the history of the place. You can camp, rent canoes, kayaks and a small motor boat. They have camping cabins that have kitchens and a snack bar by the river. You can go hiking and see many types of wildlife. They also have a ranger lead hike that you can book.

The pine grove campground at Jonathan Dickinson is one the best campgrounds we have ever camped in, seriously! We were lucky enough to get a two week stay here and we loved it. Full hookups, spacious private sites, clean and beautiful bathrooms, access to miles of walking and biking trails. Sunoutdoors and all your fancy-pants $100 per night private campgrounds - eat your heart out - Jonathan Dickinson State Park has got it going on!!!
The park itself is very beautiful. I particularly enjoyed experiencing the unique vegetation of this part of Florida which I had never seen before. There is an observation tower to climb for a great view of the park and the surrounding area.
The park covers an area that was occupied by Camp Murphy - an army base in WW2. There is a very interesting history here and you can still see some relics of the camp scattered through the park. My husband is very interested in history and one of the park rangers took the time to explain a lot of it to him, so nice!
Thanks for a great two weeks Jonathan Dickinson!!!

The most vast state park we have ever been to, hands down. An insane amount of land for endless activities and one can find and do what they love and enjoy best. Highly recommend for a day trip or to stay and enjoy what the park has to offer. Beautiful.

This place is awesome! Well maintained trails and also has plenty of hiking trails. Be warned though that there are A LOT of bycyclists here so be aware of the trails; saw a group of birders that were standing in the middle of a biking path and almost got hit by some cyclists. Small fee to enter (we paid $6) and there are campgrounds too. We came to bird and were able to see the scrub jays here.

One of the larger state parks and a gem. Beautiful long winding roads through glorious Florida nature. Trees as far as the eye can see.
Husband climbed the Hobe tower for great views from the highest point in S Florida and we drove to the large picnic and concession area and enjoyed an ice cream by the river.
Plenty of picnic tables and pavilions, children’s play area, kayak and bike rental and a small gift shop and food truck.
There is a boat tour that leaves from the dock, which we unfortunately did not have time to enjoy.
If you’re in to train spotting, the Brightline track also runs through here for great views!
There are also several campgrounds and cabins for rent.
A lovely escape from the s Florida traffic and only $6 for entry!

We had a great time camping here this week. There is so much to do and see. Lots of bike trails, hiking, boat tours, kayaking, geocaching, birding and wildlife viewing. We climbed the Hobe Mountain Observation Tower, took the "Trapper Nelson" Boat Tour (A MUST SEE) and hiked Kitching Creek Trail. The restrooms are very clean and the staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful!

Love this place! So wonderful to get away from it all, either for a couple of hrs. or for a couple of days. Wander through nature, clear your mind. Pure tranquility if you need it. Otherwise go on a boat ride, rent a bike, stay overnight in a cabin or on the campsite, …

Great RV camping experience! We stayed in the PG loop for 3 nights. The PG loop is pretty far from the river area if you’re walking or by bike, but otherwise it’s very clean and the campsites are spacious. The park has a lot of hiking trails - we did the green loop, it’s about 5 miles long, about half of it is sandy and a lot of hills, very tiring but great views! We also kayaked, which was a great experience, and checked out the observation tower. The park rangers were super helpful and Patrick at the concession stand was very friendly and kind. We will definitely come again!
The Blowing Rocks Preserve, a protected area on Jupiter Island managed by The Nature Conservancy, boasts pristine beaches and an impressive outcrop of Anastasia limestone. Visitors can observe the unique blowing rocks phenomenon at high tide. The preserve also features a wildlife habitat and education center. While parking is limited, entrance fees are waived (though donations are accepted). Overall, the preserve offers a beautiful natural environment for visitors to enjoy and explore.
I’ve lived in central Florida for 17 years and never knew this beautiful gem existed until now. What a beautiful discovery! From the amazing short shaded hike to the rocks! Went during low tide so didn’t get to experience the “blowing rocks” but we were still able to capture some awesome photography above and below. If you’re not gonna get in the water, still bring your water shoes and at least one towel cause the rocks are tough to walk on and you can rinse your feet at the end of your journey.

Blowing Rock Preserve had been on my bucket list for a very long.
Floridas weather was predicted to be a beautiful day with no rain in the forecast.
It was Mother’s Day and I was afraid it may be a bit busy, and it WAS!
Parking is extremely limited.
Be prepared to keep circling until
Someone leaves the preserve.
They parking spots are very tight and most spots do not easily accommodate larger vehicles.
(I drive a full size truck)
The education center was closed which was Disappointing.
The restroom was two portable toilets so go prior to arriving.
Along their trails there are many information signs that tell a lot about what you will be exploring. The walkway is shaded and easily walked but I would not consider it handicap assessable by wheelchair by any means. Once you reach the beach you have very steep steps that you have to walk down to get to the beach the sand is very hot to be prepared.
Once you get down the stairs you still have to walk down the beach on ways to see the rocks, But once you get to the rocks it is all worth it! The rocks are absolutely gorgeous with the crashing waves and make great backdrops for family photos.
What’s the tide start coming in you will get wet so be prepared for that as well. There is a donation jar there and I believe it was requested two dollars per person which is more than generous for what you get for the area.
So it’s very physical terrain to walk on,
I didn’t see any wheelchair accessibility, lots of stairs, lots of hard walking and thick sand with uneven surface

Beautiful beach. Rocks were cool and the kids enjoyed exploring. Make sure to get there early. Parking lot is small. Wish the education center was open, but the boardwalk was nice. The trail along the beach was pretty. Overall great stop!

Absolutely stunning. If you enjoy a walk back in time and feeling like you are on a different planet this is definitely a place for you .
At high tide the water lapping and blowing through the rocks is amazing… have your camera ready! During low tide it is an adventure weaving in and out of crevasses climbing into cave like structures and seeing all the different rock formations. The water is a beautiful blue color and so clear plenty of places to snorkel and see beautiful fish 🐠
A+++++++++++

This place is beautiful. As you walk to the beach down the nature trail, you are engulfed in nature. On the walk down, you can hear the waves crashing against the rocks.
Once you get to the beach, it is an amazing sight with mesmerizing sounds. Walking/sitting on it takes your mind to a different, calm place. It's easy to forget you are in the craziness that is South Florida.
Beautiful scenery in the rest of the preserve, too, but the beach is a must see.

This was my 2nd time there. The beach was beautiful and clean. They have buckets you can use if you want to pick up any rubbish. Which people were. I had forgotten about all of the storms we've had, about 80 per cent of the rocks and caves were filled in with sand. Still, a beautiful day there and the trails across the street. Very pleasant.

A truly unique Florida experience! I’ve lived in Florida for 20 years and visited a large number of state parks and preserves but this area really is something unique in our very low to sea level, flat state!
There’s a lovely visitors center and Intracoastal boardwalk opposite the main beach entrance with informative displays and bathrooms.
The short walk to the beach access leads to two sets of wooden stairs down to the beach and ocean. You can then walk along to the right to view the coral formations and appreciate the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
It was overcast and chilly the day of our visit but that just added to the wonder!
There is disabled parking on both sides of the road and the trail to the beach is pretty even. To access the beach as I said there are steps to navigate and the sand is very soft so walking is challenging if you have mobility issues.
Overall well worth a visit!

Beautiful! Pristine beaches & Anastasia limestone (Come at high tide to see the blowing rocks!) Parking is limited, but first thing in the morning or around noon there seems to always be a few spots available. The entrance fee ($2/person) is currently waived, but they're still accepting donations. We'll definitely be coming back here!

Stunning! Amazing! Beautiful! Breathtaking! We got out here as soon as they opened the gates (9 am -beware walking through the mangroves first thing you will get attacked by mosquitos). The beach is so clean and so beautiful. I LOVE that the beaches here have buckets for you to grab and carry along the beach to help pick up trash. They offer turtle nesting walks at night (there is a fee and registration process for this). Very limited parking however there is another lot across the street where the bathrooms and research/learning center are located.

Love this preserve! Sadly the rocks are not blowing currently (due to natural sand shift) but place is still pristine. Limited parking and limited hours of operation keep it crowd free. Great walk going north on beach! Pristine beauty of nature here. Go early to get your parking spot especially in high season. Enjoy this beautiful beach!

I recently had the opportunity to visit The Nature Conservancy's Blowing Rocks Preserve in Florida, and it was an absolutely breathtaking experience. This preserve is a hidden gem along the Florida coast, offering a stunning display of natural rock formations and beautiful ocean views. The high, limestone rocks against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean create a picturesque scene that is both unique and awe-inspiring. The preserve also offers well-maintained trails that make it easy to explore and appreciate the diverse flora and fauna. I was particularly impressed by the efforts to protect and conserve the area's natural beauty. The educational signs along the paths provide valuable insights into the local ecosystem and the importance of conservation. This place is a must-visit for nature lovers and anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful and scenic escape. The tranquility and beauty of Blowing Rocks Preserve truly make it a remarkable and memorable destination in Florida.

Blowing Rocks is truly breathtaking. Delight in the beauty of the beach, where waves crash against the rocks, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. Depending on the tide, you might explore within the rocks or witness them submerged. The presence of a trail and beach adds versatility to this stunning natural haven. A must-visit for those seeking both coastal charm and scenic trails.

Gorgeous doesn't begin to describe this beach and the cliffs! Every few feet brought new oohs and awes. The water was turquoise and thundered up through the cliffs. I didn't expect to find this coastline in FL. A very lovely trek!

This entire area is so beautiful. The sand dunes which cover the coastal communities reveal a part of Florida that many of us are not used to seeing. Residents keep this area pristine. Sadly, the huge rocks were covered in sand during our visit, but still the area was worth a visit. Meandering on the dune is a worthwhile activity. Also, cross the street to visit the museum. Make sure to leave a donation.😊 Thank you for preserving this area!!
Spring training facility for the NY Mets. Older facility. Could use some more hand rails on the stairs. Park on grass $10. Lots of friendly and helpful volunteers. Local police help with traffic control.
Bath rooms are small. Tiki bar. Berm behind fence on 1st base side, with sun deck behind. There is an adjacent practise field.
Main field has no dugouts. Nathans hot dogs but no Nathans mustard.
The announcer got the name of the visiting team wrong (!). Too many commercials, too loud, on the announcement system.

Left after 2nd inning....life long Mets fan, very disappointed. Was always a dream to visit here, big let down. Just moved to the area so this was on the top of the bucket list. Most annoying was Q-tip old timers in section 205 refusing to let people sit in the seats they purchased. Its reserved seating, not first come first served. What are you supposed to do with a bunch of geriatrics on their last legs though? Heard the argument over seating for the 4th time and just took the family and went home before things got ugly. No usher presence didn't help matters. Plus half the stadium was closed off for renovations compounding issues. Food options were decent, that was about the highlight. Wish this night ended differently, will probably be going to Rays, or Tortugas games moving forward.

Such a cool little place! We stopped in as we were driving through Okeechobee and definitely glad we did. It’s self walk through and by suggested donation. My son loved walking up to all the animals (which were double caged) and it really allows him to feel apart of the experience. It’s cool so see so many different animals in one place and cohabiting!

What can I say except this place is AMAZING!
We were staying locally for doctors appointments in Orlando. With spring break going on as well as a Pandemic - we were a little hesitant. We didn't know what to expect (We have a high risk child).
We arrived a couple hours after they opened - there wasn't much people at all. You are immediately greeted by the welcoming committee of Arnold's though (the cats lol) as well as a very friendly deer.
It's not too big but we saw almost every single animal. It's not like the zoos at all. Your able to see each & every animal. There's no crowd of folks you've gotta walk by or put your kid on your shoulders just to be able to see the animals. There's also a nice garden to take a stroll through. Not huge but cute!
The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful as well. My child LOVED coming here and as parents - we did too. It just felt so much less stressful - you can easily enjoy and breath. Lol
Beware of the deer walking around though. He saw my husband saying hello to HIS ladies behind the fence and didn't like it. He decided he was going to try and take on my husband until he moved away from the fence. Can't blame him though :)
As for fee....they run on donations. Kids are free but they do ask a $10 donation for adults. Honestly - if you were considering donating anywhere I would say donate it here. You can obviously tell while there that it's going to a GREAT cause.

What a fantastic adventure. You can tell the caretakers love the animals, their jobs and making visitors happy! Short staffed and still took the time to bring out two baby animals for us to hold and pet before we left. So much more than I imagined for a small rehab facility. Great Job!

Such a neat animal sanctuary! We drove over an hour to check out this place and it was great. We got to pet some of the sweetest animals, walk through a beautiful butterfly garden, and even hold a baby raccoon! We were able to see so many different kinds of animals and got to feed the deer. Staff was beyond kind and welcoming to us; they made an effort to have conversations with us and brought out a sweet baby raccoon for us to hold and love on. This was a really fun place and we will definitely be back again!

This place was amazing! Super friendly staff, family friendly, great alternative to the zoo. I would highly recommend this as a fun place to take the kids on a day trip. There are picnic tables under a pavilion where you can eat your packed lunch. You can even bring apples and carrots for the deer! Great place!

We are South Florida residents and LOVE Arnold's Wildlife Rehabilitation because it is truly a hidden treasure. The staff is knowledgeable and provide a real hands on experience if they have any available animals. They are great story-tellers and truly care for the animals that have been brought to them. This is not a zoo--this is more of a rescue and with the hope that many of the animals can be released. Cierra and Kimmy are dedicated staff members and truly made our family feel special while we were there. While we were there we fed the chickens, took pictures with the peacocks, walked through the butterfly garden and learned about all of the animals. We received a special treat because they had an influx of rescues and were provided the opportunity to hold a baby raccoon and armadillo and then feed a fawn. This was truly like no other experience I have ever had. It is $10 per adult and children are free--but please remember they do take donations as well. We brought towels, dish detergent, extra money and lots of fruits and veggies for the animals. I honestly can't say enough nice things about this place! Do not miss out on this adventure;) Go to Lake O park after and bring lunch. Great day trip!

It was a wonderful place to bring a young boy. There were so many animals that kids could interact with firsthand. There were two panthers there and they were really exciting to see. Sometimes you go to these wildlife places and you don't end up seeing half of the animals because they're all sheltering from the sun, but that was not the case with Arnold's. Our tour guide (I think her name was Celeste) was very knowledgeable and took a lot of time to share with us. I recommend Arnold's Wildlife Rehab Center.
Ken Thompson — Google review
Our family visited Arnold's not expecting much to see. How surprised then we were to find so many remarkable creatures (some of them really fascinating).
Our little boys got the welcome of a lifetime by a hissing juvenile alligator (of course, caged). They were ecstatic when hearing the koukaburras laughing (incredibly after having learned a few days before of their peculiar bird call). And they found it hard to get away from the very funny acting capuchin.
All in all, it was a great experience for us all as a family. We ended up visiting twice. It does more than deserve the suggested donation and the staff's caring for their animals is commendable. A 15-30 minute visit is enough for most people.
This high-energy casino features slot machines, poker & bingo, plus a 24-hour American restaurant.

My first time visit at this quaint casino located in "Old Florida" and I look forward to returning. Southern hospitality quite apparent - excellent customer service!
Different to many other casinos in that the ambience is relaxed, kicked-back.
I appreciated the holiday decorations both inside and out. The icing on the cake would have been a holiday jackpot, but maybe, just maybe - next time. ;-)

It's a nice place and the people are nice. It is a bit small but they do have a non-smoking section. The food isn't bad though the fish and chips could be better. I will try the hot dog next time. Casino was very nice, We went to their restaurant and the food was fantastic, However, they took my card to pay the bill, and they were gone 20 minutes , I had to chase the waiter for my card back. He stated he gave it to the cashier. In the next couple of days, I started getting $1000 transfers on my account. I realized I was hacked, and obviously, it happened here at this place. Be aware of the workers for scams. I was scammed and will never let my card leave my hand again. I will pay cash her if I am to return....

The Brighton casino is a nice place to come and try a hand at the black jack table or poker for that matter. They have only two handful of cards tables. To make up for that they have over 100 slot machines varying by style and price to play. If you’re wanting a nice dinner with fellow players they have you covered. This is not a personal experience, but a general comment based on reading your reviews and general views on casinos. We are considering a trip to your facility.
I understand you and other casinos want to provide accommodations for smokers. But to do it at other customers health expense is inconsiderate at best.
Why in the world can't the casino industry reverse the allotted space for smokers and non smokers? Or, even better, have a separate building for one or the other. Again, more space allotted for non smokers.
I feel also that it is very unfair, and borderline abuse of the casino employees. If we can't legislate consideration for other people's health, maybe your industry could at least care enough to help. Your thoughts?

Lovely murals. Nothing open on Sunday?😣 Many sad tourists. Very limited restaurants, and most offer only breakfast items. 🤔 Beautiful lakes. Another sad feature:Many shops even closed Monday's, and IF they are open, only till 3:00 PM. If you enjoy walking through a " CLOSED TOWN" and viewing murals, during the DAY..NO LIGHTING AT NIGHT, you will enjoy Lake Placid.

The murals of Lake Placid Florida are an experience not be missed. Several recently added murals are beautiful. There are 47 historic murals, 17 one of a kind trash containers all companion pieces to the murals, and 49 bird plaques all over the business district. Come visit the Town of Murals that Reader's Digest named "America's Most Interesting Town".

Great example of Public Art in the Town of Murals - Lake Placid, Florida. These are just a few of the dozens of murals around town. As an owner of several rental units, land, and a home in Highlands County, I have been apart of the community since 2001. With that said, I'm still a fan of the murals and have "walked the town" each time I make it to Lake Placid.
Dozens and dozens of wonderful murals – some as large as 175 by 30 feet and others filling several stories on downtown Lake Placid buildings – are painted throughout the town. Pick up a guide ($3) to these murals at the Chamber of Commerce - where there's a 10-minute video you will thoroughly enjoy - and then take a leisurely drive or casual stroll to see the story of cattle drives, of Lake Placid’s pioneers, of Native Americans who lived 10,000 years ago, of sandhill cranes and the citrus industry, and larger-than-life local residents like lady rancher Jennie Reninger who was so good with a bullwhip she could snap a cigarette out of your mouth from 10 feet away – one of the earliest anti-smoking campaigns, from what is advertised in the guide.
You haven't visited Lake Placid if you don't visit the murals. Highly recommended - 5 stars and an almost free ($3 for the guide) experience. My recommendation is to walk the mural route. It's a much more enjoyable experience.

This place was amazing. It doesn’t look much from the outside, but once you journey along the bridge into the park you’ll see another world. They have a deep rooted story behind the beginning of the park. A vast amount of alligators as well as other animals on property. If you want a close encounter with an animal, it’s really inexpensive. It’ll make a great memory and an even better photo opportunity. Amber was a great help and knowledgeable, and very entertaining when feeding the large alligators. The rest of the staff we saw were hardworking and cared for all the animals they have there. Make sure you see Goliath and the Albino alligators. They are fascinating and rare. It will be a fun and educational place to take your family to. Recommended!

Today was our first visit to Gatorama and it certainly will not be our last. Everyone was welcoming and passionate about crocodilians and it shows. We came for the Hatching Festival but found more adventure feeding gators *and* crocodiles(!) from the boardwalk, holding a piebald alligator, watching the Fast Hands feeding demonstration, and listening to staff excitedly tell us everything about their favorite crocs. One guy even coaxed the Orinoco crocodile out of the water so we could see her better.
The Hatching Festival is truly an amazing experience and one I hope to get to repeat. The team of staff and volunteers make it easy to let a baby gator hatch in your hand. There's not a long wait for your turn and they let you take as many photos as you want. There are several hatching times so everyone gets as much time as they need, although some of the babies are ready to go from the moment their head pops out.

This has got to be one of the coolest places I have visited recently, being able to see and interact with so many gators and crocs is a one-of-a-kind experience, forget an airboat ride if you want to truly see these amazing creatures stop by this place, there is also a few other animals to see.
The only place to see a blue-eyed gator (which I am totally in love with) to be able to stand in front of these gators and feed them is the most intimidating adrenaline rush mixed in with awe of how the staff was able to tame these incredibly large animals on land.
Now let's talk about the staff being genuinely kind and knowledgeable (Thank you Ben, Allen, and Mrs. Patty, this was truly an experience we won't forget and definitely will repeat).
Gatorama is a little gem everyone needs to know about.
Trust me make the trip stop by. You will not regret it.

To be honest I was hesitant to come here. But my husband talked me into it and I am so glad he did! This place is amazing. I loved everything we saw and everything we learned. Dan and Christine were so awesome to talk with. We would love to come back and spend even more time. I know it says people typically spend an hour and a half here but we spent three and enjoyed every minute. We paid to feed Dozer the tortoise and that was so special. But now I want to come back and try holding the python, Blue and maybe even try catching a gator. Go visit Gatorama you won't be disappointed.

It's $25/adult for entry, which gives you access to a viewing walkway for the adult gators, viewing area for juvenile tanks and some exotic animal exhibitions. There's a vip ticket that gets you close up (like in the video). If you're road trip and need a break from driving it's an interesting half hour stop.

If you are passing through please stop and check this place out. If your vacationing in Florida and you want to see something unique, not associated with corporate America and seeing nature up close and personal. This is your place. I highly recommend it. It's as close as you can get and actually you can get even closer. LOL five stars truly for this Roadside Attraction. Friendly folks and family owned.

What a cool experience. Gatorama has a super friendly staff. From the ticket sales to the shows, it was a cool experience. We really enjoyed the self guided tour of the animals. The enclosures alone are worth the price of admission, but there were also shows to see. Cody was entertaining and full of facts and comedy as he fed the gators and put on the experiences. This place is do much more than just gators. Well worth the money. Also, a huge shout out to the owners for the Veterans discount. I never expect a discount, but I am truly grateful for businesses that offer it. Overall it is very family friendly and safe for all ages from young to old. We will definitely be back.

Fun for the whole family. Make sure to catch 1 of the feeding shows. And let the kids catch the baby gators, the experience is worth way more than the 10 bucks.

This place epitomizes the ‘Old Florida’ sort of attraction. It’s off the beaten path, funky, bare-bones. Plenty of gators in all sizes. I accompanied my 4-yr-old grandson, whose class was doing a field trip there — all the kids loved it, especially when handling ‘baby’ gators, and I guess that’s what matters most!
Can I say enough about this place? I took my son's gator to another processor who charged me double what these fine people did, and the other people were just plain mean and nasty. Everglades Adventures were kind and professional, had much cleaner and better facilities, and were well worth the drive. I would use them again and again!

We had a great time with Capt. Ron's Awesome Everglades Adventures. The tour starts off with a discussion on safety followed by some maneuvers to acclimate the group to the handling of the Waverunners.
Once this phase was completed we set off into the Everglades. RJ, our guide, was very knowledgeable and know where to take us to see Dolphins and Manatees. At one point we were surrounded by Dolphins!! Then it was off to a sandbar/island for some shelling and a brief rest.
When we returned to Caxambas Park RJ burned a CD full of pictures for each of us.
I would recommend this tour to anyone. It was great fun. Bring sunscreen. You'll be in the sun for a few hours.

Wonderful tour! Camry was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide who made it a fun and interesting tour! Saw lots of wildlife including alligators, raccoons, deer, wild pigs, cows, bulls and a variety of birds. The changing terrain was very interesting and we learned a lot about the Florida eco system as we traveled through swampy areas, fields etc. Highly recommend this 90 minute green bus tour - we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Always enjoy time spent at the Babcock Ranch. Guides are always friendly and informative. Always plenty of wildlife and nature to see. This is my 3rd time, I try to bring any friends or family that come to visit. They even have a small snack shack with plenty of options including gator bites to curb the appetite. The shack closes at 3 though so go early!

Modern rooms & suites in a casino retreat with an outdoor pool, 3 restaurants & regular live shows.
Great place to play for leisure.
I really enjoyed the drinks. I had to actually walk to the bar and get them though.
Don't know why the ladies walking around never acknowledged me nor ask if I wanted anything.
They walk by so fast not making contact.
I even asked a lady in red and black to take my order she left to find the waitress after waiting 1 hour I politely asked where is the bar.
I found it and ordered from the bar.

Parking on a busy weekend physically challenging. If you get sent to the out lots you must be able to climb on a bus to be shuttled in. No complaints about the slots and restaurant. Not much wait for food service and the food was good and generous. I was there for a car and music show and there were also many good truck options and vendors outside. Traffic is heavy so give plenty of time to get in and out.

I'm local and for years I've been going with my family, enough that we know many of the dealers. They are seriously short staffed both on the floor and in the restaurants, so although the food and service is great, it does cause problems.
There used to be enough incentive to come when we got points as we played, both on the table and on the slots. Gradually, we were forced to jump through more and more hoops for even a drink comp, and yesterday was the last straw as we were told we needed to hunt down a casino host to convince them for a few bucks after spending hours and hundreds of dollars on the tables. It adds insult to injury after losing, when before we could console ourselves with a dinner we are now told we have to beg for a drink. No, thank you.
There's now no point having a unity card, so I tossed mine. I spoke to several other people who concur.
They've raised the table minimums drastically as well, so don't expect to stay long.
The only up side was the band that was playing that night. Soon the bands will be playing to an empty room unless something changes.
This is one of those places that is perfectly aware you have no other alternative for gambling, so they treat you however they like.

Too bad, my husband is on the IRS radar. He hit a jackpot and had to fill out an IRS report of income. (my way of telling people do win.)
The next day, I played Black Jack and ordered a drink by the time the drink came. I was out of chips, and the waitress came but refused to give me the drink, saying, "You aren't playing." (free drinks are for those at tables and playing) Even the Pit Boss verified I had been playing. But, the waitress turned around and left.
No problem, I went to check with Casino service and was given a drink from the bar. I was told a supervisor would speak to the waitress.
When my husband came to find me, he was also given a courtesy drink from the bar.
They were very accommodating on the casino floor

We go a few times a year with my Grandson Chad who is avid player and I must say the casino is very rewarding. We always have comped lunches and drinks when we come out and have the time of our lives. Go with a group. Each person puts in a $20, take turns, on button, and play for fun. 9 outta 10 times 5 hours passes and we go home up or about even and just always glad we went. Special Thanks to casino and that nice gal named Gloria G. who is a casino host. She is always so nice and makes our time very fun. I love the new games and hope eventually Lucky Mi returns. Cant wait to go again this weekend. Thank you and Good Luck to all.

Only visited casino and it was to much smoke for me. The non-smoking area is adjacent to the smoke. Virility of games was good and plenty of machines to play. Only a short ride from Fort Myers. The one meal was acceptable and the services was friendly. High charge on cash withdrawal so bring your money with you. Good luck.

Good assortment of games, smoking Casino, but pretty well ventilated if you don't smoke. Decent Long Island Iced Tea, decent payout, and of course the Blackjack girls are beautiful. Very revealing and sexist outfits, but I guess that's to be expected. Highly recommend if you can't afford to go to Vegas. Just wish they had at least one day a week for $5 blackjack on a few tables. I think they're losing money by not having that as an option at least one day a week. The Seminole in Hollywood has two tables every day of the week devoted to $5 blackjack. Just saying

I’m no casino frequenter, but at least three or four times a year. I’ve been to all the local ones in South Florida, but my first time here. I’m kind of surprised, it’s a nice and peaceful casino in a beautiful setting. Make time to go outside to the stands for the horse track and look over the infield and see the link flamingos, they are easy to see. The casino floor is actually quieter than any casino I’ve been to, it’s not overly loud machines blaring. This place is definitely nicer than Gulfstream Casino, by a lot.
The food options looked reasonable, if unimaginative. Fair pricing. And where else can you get a Cuban coffee for $1 these days. If you like slots (I did see they have a poker area but didn’t go there), definitely give this place a chance.

Very noisy. Very tight slots. I don't expect to win every time. Some playback would be nice. Asked six months ago to have my dual account to be fixed. Nothing yet. I'm not getting play points due to this. Overhead music needs to be coordinated. Multiple zones. Playing different songs.

Always a fun time. The place is quite large. Penny slots are for me. You can find many for under 88 cents per pull. Most games are colorful and offer interactive fun. They offer a large non-smoking area
here are plenty of tables, but I have not played. Alcohol is served, but at a cost, in most areas of the casino.
Breda Purdy — Google review
If you smoke, you're in luck! If not, you'll be hard pressed to find any table games that aren't cloudy, and even the non-smoking areas are getting some second hand exposure, even at 1030 am when I was there. I played at a 3-card table for about an hour, all my sinuses could bear. Switched to a slot and actually made the experience better by winning more than I'd spent! Easy, close parking during my morning hours visit. I stopped by the Player's Club, friendly staff! The husband of a table player sitting next to me hit a $40K+ progressive slots jackpot as we were playing poker! I'm betting they had a very nice lunch that day! Remember, only gamble with "front pocket" spare money, never your wallet!

The casino was very nice, courteous staff and wide variety of slot machines, gaming tables, etc.
I will add that drinks in Casino were not free. While I only drink sodas it was the very first time I've been charged for drinks. Both sodas and alcohol or beer are not free. Caught me by surprise.
I would still highly recommend.

I'm commenting on this place as a whole and it is a great place as a casino, hotel and entertainment complex. It is a little bit in the middle of nowhere but is really just an hour or so drive from most places so not bad. The casino is very nice with all the games and table games you could want. They bring great second tier entertainment here and have a good indoor and outdoor venue. As casinos go, the hard rocks are the premier ones in Florida and this rates third on the list. Which means it's still good.
Mike Fritsch — Google review
This place has come a long way in the last few years. For its size, it's got plenty of slots, table games, and a decent High Roller section. It does have a non-smoking section which compared to most is probably the same percentage as a bigger Casino. However, the no smoking section is adjacent to the smoking section so it still smells of cigarettes and cigars. However, if you don't smoke, you won't end up sitting next to somebody that does. Overall, smoke inside the casino is not too bad. Outside of Friday and Saturday nights when it's super big. Two restaurants and a little coffee bar with sandwiches and sweets make this a place you can stay at all day. I live in Fort Myers and I'm only about 30 minutes away so I've never actually stayed in any of the rooms. Highly recommend.

Everyone we dealt with was very nice.... I would definitely be at this casino more often if it weren't for the smoking. I appreciate the non smoking areas but the table games are all in smoking areas. As soon as you walk in the casino the smoke smell hits you in the face. Hopefully they will eventually go full smoke free, until then I'm out.

I was extremely disappointed in the wait service at the machines. I asked for bar service repeatedly, even asking the floor walkers/managers. At one point, a floor person even volunteered to watch my machine while I went to the bar. I reluctantly did so, only to be totally ignored by the bartender, who was around the curve. I had been on a roll, and I was getting *very* annoyed at this point. I went back to my machine and was told by the man that he would send a server over. I waited another 20mins before she appeared. By this point, my friend said, and so did several people, I should have been comped a drink. It was my first time there, so I just dumbly went along. And of course, my roll ended ... ☹️

It was nice, if a touch on the smaller side. The restaurants and bars there are nice as well. We had good fortune, as my wife won 300+ on our visit. The ticket cashing machines actually give you change, unlike so many that won't. Plenty of TV's if you want to watch sports... Not overly noisy too. Lots of parking...
Manatee Park is a waterfront recreational area that offers visitors the chance to enjoy various activities while being close to nature. It features scenic trails, an amphitheater for performances, and kayak rentals for those who want to explore the waterways. One of its main attractions is the opportunity to observe Florida's gentle giants, the manatees, in their natural habitat from November to March.
first we walked around the property saw a couple manatees but the watercolor is very dark so you only saw like a little nose about coming out of the water. Then we rented kayaks for the 2 hour kayaking trip on our own They give you a map and it's pretty simple to find the manatees they tell you where they're hanging out that day. Well worth the trip we had a great time 15 to 20 manatees They came right up to our kayaks You just float around in the bay area about a mile down river. It was a little windy so the paddle back took a good hour of paddling non-stop.

The information boards about the manatees were very Informative. Plenty of seating and shade for those taking their time along the walk. Very much enjoyed the music from the lady playing the hand pans in the pavilion.

What a lovely park. The workers are helpful and friendly. I like coming here because they have rentals for my family and friends to join in on the fun! They also have clean bathrooms that are fully stocked.
You're able to go either up the river or out towards the bay for different experiences. The houses around there are nice to look at and up river there's a farm with cows! I frequent often.

The park is very small and picturesque, we went at around 9 in the morning and we saw many manatees poking their heads out and tails. I would recommend going there at opening time to see the manatees as they like it a little bit cooler and will surface more of their body at the temperature. The boardwalk was gorgeous, and very education for the little ones. They have bathrooms, playgrounds, and a butterfly garden. They also have kayaks you can rent and go around the mangrove forest being up close with the manatees. The parking was also very cheap with it being only 2/hr, and the place was definitely worth the time!
Ragu N — Google review
It is a beautiful area to paddle around. They have kayaks for rent, and you can bring your own and launch there. The parking was $5. We saw 3 manatees while we were paddling around in the early afternoon.

This was a surprise! We were looking for covered playgrounds to burn some energy while staying out of the sun.
Before we even made it to the playground we took a walk through the mangroves, saw some manatees, hung out by the water, played on the boardwalk, and hung out with a (fake) alligator.
Parking is a reasonable $2/hr. Parking is plentiful for the size of the park. There is a gift shop with snacks and reasonably clean restrooms.
There are lots of walking trails, all gentle and easy. The highlight of the visit was the walk along the water, which had covered awnings every 50 yards or so which provided VERY comfortable manatee viewing areas on a hot 90F day. The water channel appears to be a power-plant cooling discharge...my guess is that manatees like the warmer water. I was chasing a 3 year old so I didn't have much time to learn (but the opportunity is there with lots of signage).
We got to see a few manatees without a lot of waiting. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip...we're big animal people. What toddler parent isn't?
There are boardwalks over the water through the mangroves that lead to a kayak launch area (it would be LOTS of fun to rent a kayak here...maybe when the kid is a little older), another manatee viewing area, and other locations within the park.
The playgrounds are on the smaller side and better for kids under 4 probably.
This was a great visit and will be a future stop. If you bring lunch, this could be a two hour visit. More if you rent a Kayak.

Great place to learn a thing or two about Floridas wildlife, kayak on the orange river, and, if it's winter time and the water is below 68°F, you probably will see manatees!!! It's very inexpensive to rent a kayak, the facilities are clean and functional, and the employees are kind and helpful. You really can't get lost and it's very safe! They also have a little gift shop with snacks and such. I definitely recommend! Have fun 😊

I visited the manatee park with high hopes of seeing these gentle giants, but unfortunately, there were none in sight. The park's size was smaller than expected, and the overall experience left me disappointed. Considering the absence of manatees, I doubt I'll be returning.

Great park! Parking was only $1 for an hour, and the kiosk closest to the gift shop accepts credit and debit cards. Plenty of spots to stop and view the manatees. We have visited the park in the past but were unable to spot any, but this trip we easily spotted many swimming around and coming up for air. There are some boardwalks and walking trails in the park to enjoy the area. Worth stopping by if you’re in the area!

We first went late in the day. We walked along the boardwalk & saw two manatees surface!! We went back the next day to rent kayaks. We rented for 2 hours & saw a ton of manatees! We saw several pods hanging out near the banks while we were out. Highly recommend going out in the kayaks (the tour sounds cool if you've got time!). The water there was very dark & murky, but we had no problems finding manatees. There were tons of them!!

What a nice park. I have been a lee county resident for 40 years and have never been to this park. I took my kids for a meet up with our homeschool group and it truly is a gem. We had fun looking for manatees and walking the small trail they have. We went and looked out over the water. We visited the small shop and got drinks. The kids played on the playgrounds and we walked around the entire park. I would recommend anyone visit this place. Definitely will be back. You pay for parking but it’s $5 for the entire day. You can also kayak, launch your own or rent one from the park.

I love this place! We used the public kayak launch, which isn’t too far a walk from the nearest car drop off point. It’s a cool mangrove area within the park, but this leads you out to the Orange River. They also offer kayak rentals here. We didn’t see any manatees, however we did see turtles, and lots of bird and fish. The current was not even noticeable as we headed east on the river but once we turned around a wind kicked up making the current pick up against us. Overall easy awesome paddle!

This was our second time at the Manatee Park! It’s such a great place to enjoy watching the Manatee and their baby’s, pluss sharks, and other fish close up between January and March. They have an area with butterfly’s, a snack bar, inside area with tons on back ground information about the Manatee, they sell refreshing snow cones, they have a Gift shop and if you want to see Sea Turtles, snakes etc you can go down the street in overflow parking and get a ride to visit the Florida Aquarium buildings where they rescue sick turtles etc and see them up close as they get rehabilitation and later get released back into the ocean. We had a great time and it’s Free!

Nice smaller park right on a canal and a smaller river. A shorter trail will take you along the canal and to the river. Unfortunately the river was extremely warm (92F, 33C) here in March, so it is too warm for manatees. So no animal sightings at all. There are restrooms and a gift shop.

A beautiful park with a butterfly garden, walking paths, kayak launch, two small playgrounds (no swings), and lots of nature. We did not see any manatees as we were there during a time where they have typically left back to the ocean. There is a gift shop open until 5pm and public restrooms.

Cheap fun for all. Paid for parking. A very nice and clean park. The manatees were so neat to watch. The gift shop was reasonably priced. We did not kayak due to it being a very windy day. The paths within the park were clean, smooth, and easy to get around. The butterfly garden was beautiful.

The Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is a protected wetlands area that features a scenic boardwalk trail and an observation tower, offering visitors the opportunity to observe native wildlife in its natural habitat. This private park provides great information about the early Florida conservationists who helped establish and maintain the sanctuary.
What an amazing place! The lady who checked us in was super informative and sweet. Saw so much wildlife and the information on the tour was terrific. Lots of great Info about the early Florida conservationists and great minds behind the Sanctuary. Ranger also helped us spot gators (though we had just missed otters! Bummer) Totally worth the $$$.. it’s a private park and the boardwalk is great and accessible. A beautiful stroll through time. Saw tons of herons, egrets, ibis, woodpeckers, wood storks, hawks, black vultures, deer and a gator. Also saw lichen and many 800 year old bald cypress ! Will be back for the ghost ;)

Most of the time you are in the shade. I went in June so there wasn't much water yet. Tons of wildlife. Gators, baby gators, raccoons, woodpeckers, vultures, hawks, frogs, lizards, owls, butterflies, and many many birds.
Tip: we were passed by almost everyone because we would take a few steps, stop, listen, and look around. That is how I found the gators and the raccoons as well as many birds.

Absolutely wonderful experience here! Quietly walking through the park is so interesting. It’s really a great place to experience nature and see amazing animals and plants. Coming from PA, I saw so many things I’ve never seen before! I loved walking the trail and looking and listening to all that the swamp has to offer. I also enjoyed my conversation with Art, a volunteer who was out on the trail to share information with visitors. He was so genuinely kind and helpful and my family and I had a nice time chatting with him. Overall, it was one of my favorite things I got to experience in Naples.

What an absolute delight of a habitat! My hubby and I are both biologists, avid birders, and native plant nerds, and we had an amazing morning on the boardwalk. This habitat is endemic to our state and can't be found anywhere else!! We saw salt and pepper square stem wild flowers and salt marsh mallow in full bloom and don't even get me started on the scarlet hibiscus! Just gorgeous! This is a truly special place that should be preserved for our future. We love that they only allow so many people on the boardwalk because we were less likely to be disturbed when getting the awesome bird photographs that we came early for. If you love Florida native plants and ecosystems as well as our lovely native wildlife than this is the place for you. We will absolutely be back for more of real Florida.

Loved the sanctuary itself. It was beautiful and well kept.
However, we used to faithfully give to Audubon for many years, but after they use their charity in a political way we no longer will donate or support them. Which actually very much saddens my heart to do so but we won't stand by while our beliefs are mocked. They are a charity, for birds. It's unfortunate they have to politicize that.

I had a fantastic day hiking/walking along the boardwalk today (it is all boardwalk). Took me about an hour to get around once.
The first quarter-mile or so goes through grasslands, so no shade, but the rest of it, except for the very end where it goes through grasslands again, is mostly shaded by the very tall trees.
Sunday afternoon it was pretty crowded, but that was good because there were other eyes picking out the alligators, turtles, etc.
Don't forget to look up, so you can find the owls and other birds, flowers, lichen, raccoons, and of course, look down so you can see the alligators, lizards, turtles, etc.
Keep your ears open for the multitude of birds, which I could never actually find because my eyes are not trained for that, and for the various bullfrogs, who were quite vocal today.
Nice visitor center and restrooms, lots of parking. There is a $17 charge to get in, but it's really worth it - plus it's for the Audubon Society.
The loop is about 2 miles, and since I had time, I ended up walking the trail twice and saw different things each time.
Some people were commenting on not seeing wildlife, but you really need to look hard for it sometimes and don't go in there with the expectations of seeing dozens of alligators. I saw three. Four raccoons. One owl. A dozen lizards, one turtle, etc. but it was all very nice.

Amazing! A wonderful walk along the boardwalk showing off a protected mature cypress forest. Rich in plant and animal life. Suitable for entire family. Saw many birds, alligators (and baby alligators!!), racoons, and plants. Informational signs along the way. Was a wonderful day!

I am neither a biologist or an arborist. I am a mom of three children (8, 11, 14) who were not at all convinced that a swamp was a worthy way to spend their morning. Upon arrival at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, however, their spirits were quieted and they gave space for it to be bearable. In the end, and to their surprise, we all really enjoyed it! I didn’t hear one complaint until it was time to leave.
Understanding my role of mom, you will allow me to show you the swamp as my boys saw it. My oldest, a daughter, read the plaques and enjoyed the expected sights, such as the hidden bittern we spotted (pictured—you gotta look carefully!). My boys, on the other hand, saw things such as the cypress tree eating a hand rail and the nice tree hugging the other tree (aka the Strangling Fig—a misnomer in their opinion). They continued to notice more cypress trees trying to consume handrails or “melting” onto the edge of the boardwalk, but occasionally had their attention turned to the swamp beyond the boardwalk by raccoon families, a (false) sighting of a ghost orchid, and—most impressively—a very big alligator.
Along the way, guides helped us see things our novice eyes did not spot. Our questions to them were simple and easily answered, but I overheard some very in depth exchanges between the guides and more knowledgeable guests than we. They were helpful in both situations.
I would recommend this for any age! One consideration for those who might struggle to walk for a long while—there are benches along the way, but if you or a loved one has difficulty with distances, rest may not be as accessible as needed. There are rails to lean on along the entire boardwalk.

Great family activity. We came at the end of March so it was dry season. The first hour, we didn’t see much. Just lots of walking to see many trees and a few birds. Close to the end, it was a bit more swampy and so it got more interesting. We saw many birds and alligators. I recommend going when it is less dry so that you could see more.

Beautiful hike plan to get theirs early as they do close the trail around 1:00 since the hike takes about 1:30-2hrs. Love walking here to see all the beautiful unique air plants, any of the animals and all the bird sounds!

Such a peaceful, beautiful place. It is absolutely amazing to experience some of Florida's natural habitats and see land that is untouched (less the boardwalk providing you said view!)
I took my seven year old with me for our first girls "hike". She was able to keep up, even taking the extended path (3mi.)
Being from the north, I wasnt sure what I was getting into going to a swamp. Certainly not at all like the stero type I grew up with!
Plenty of picture taking opportunities. A great way to connect with nature and only 20 minutes or so from the residential communities of Naples.
The gift shop had so many choices to bring home a keepsake from your visit, so be sure to bring your wallet!
They offer a few snacks and bottled beverages, but you'll want to make sure you had a meal before or plan to after.
Restrooms at the entrance but not along the boardwalk. This didn't cause issue for us, but something you'll want to take note of before you get out there!

Beautiful park. Well maintained. Very friendly staff. There’s a nice facility at the entrance with restrooms and lots of information on the area. The entire thing is a handicap & stroller accessible boardwalk. Costs some money, like $20 an adult, but given what they do to protect our Florida ecosystem it’s well worth it. We were lucky enough to see a gorgeous owl perched on a branch not even 15 feet away. Very memorable.

Wonderfully well-kept buildings and boardwalks. The preserve itself encompasses several types of habitat and really shows of the beauty of this region's nature. If you love the play of sunbeams through a thick forest canopy and trees from a thousand years ago, all in the cooling shade with a fresh scent of water, tea-stained but very clear, and to hear the songs of many birds and the soft croaking of an alligator to her hatchlings, and to catch sight of hawks riding the thermals out above the marsh, then this vast silent isolated sanctuary is for you! If you can avoid groups of people along the boardwalk, you will be rewarded with the profound quiet of nature: no distant rush of traffic, not even passing aircraft, something actually hard to come by in our area. This sanctuary has been in place long enough that you will see many cases of trees' boles growing around/incorporating the handrails of the boardwalk, and many others where the rails have been cut back to give the trees room. It's a great walk, whether you actually spot animals or not :-) OK, I know it sounds like I'm totally enthralled, and just for balance: I'm not fond of their gift shop, it's large enough and has many things, but it doesn't seem to connect with what is outside their doors. In general I like gift shops, this one just seems to me to have too much kitsch and not enough connection. Perhaps it just suffered by comparison to the gorgeous swamp we had been traversing!

You and I, dear reader, don’t know each other. We may or may not like many of the same parts of the day.
If you respect your fellows and admire nature with a hushed reverence commonly shown in the awe of a centuries-old place of worship, we have common ground.
If you are looking for flashing lights, blaring music and dancing bears, you are in exactly the wrong place.
The most exciting non-human mammals spotted during our mid-day March visit were raccoons and squirrels. We have too many of these at home to be interested.
Several on the boardwalk noticed a dark, ridged stripe basking in the sun. Probably a gator’s back. Could have been sculpted. Many small skinks and kin escorted us through the greenery.
Several birds, from anhinga to ibis to ted-shouldered hawk.
Lots of plant life unfamiliar to this northerner. Tall cypress, small water spangles, and lots in between.
It was less eventful than I hoped - even expected - but I loved it. I could spend many days wandering these boards. I’d be sure to spot something new each time.

It was a nice cooler day to visit. The nature and beauty are unbelievable. It is a nice boardwalk path that you take for 2 miles, no way to get lost. You stay on the boardwalk the whole time. Use the restroom before you start. It does take a good hour and half to walk the whole way. We saw a raccoon, birds, a gator in 2 different areas, an anahinga (look it up)drying its feathers with wings spread out and a baby bald eagle in its nest. There are not too many creatures in the water except for the gator. Had a small lunch in the Café and a nice gift shop to look through. Nice visit. 17$ for adults. We bought our tickets in advance online.

Our first time here and we thoroughly enjoyed the walk through the Audubon corkscrew swamp sanctuary. The full walk is about 2.5 miles on a boardwalk. The boardwalk goes through the swamp with safe guard rails. You get to see many areas of the swamp, some fields and prairies that are marshes as well.
We saw many birds, including herons, ibis, warblers, and many more. About 30 species during our hike.
There are many stops along the way with benches where you can sit in the peace and quiet and enjoy the foliage and the wildlife. I recommend it for a place of tranquility. This was my first visit through a swamp, and it was much more pleasant and enjoyable than I ever thought it would be.
There are tour guides that give tours on Sunday mornings. We ran into some of these tour guides during our walk on the boardwalk. They are very knowledgeable and sometimes will point out birds, orchids and other sightings as you walk on the boardwalk. I was very grateful to run into these tour guides.
There is a very nice gift shop in the visitor center with lots of gifts around birds. There’s also a little café where you can buy food. They have salads, sandwiches, and drinks that you can purchase, as well as hotdogs and condiments.
If you really like your visit, you can purchase a membership on the way out, and they will credit your ticket purchase toward the membership. I highly recommend visiting this place, if you would like a pleasant hike, and to see the beauty of the swamp as well as the birds.

Pretty place to spend the day in nature. There are public restrooms at the entrance as well as a small cafe and gift shop. The boardwalk leads through a prairie areas as well as swamp. You may see alligators, birds, deer, raccoons and if you are super lucky panthers and bobcats. The path is pretty safe since you are on the boardwalk the entire time. There are lookouts along the way and sitting areas also. Online tickets were required for Thanksgiving however you may be able to purchase tickets when you arrive. I suggest calling first.

We went on the last day before 2 weeks of upgrading. Due to our earliest many animals and bird were in the move. We heard an alligator roar very close, saw raccoons, owls, frogs, ospreys, etc. There are 4 different types of environment, not just straight mangrove. Shop was open. Rest rooms at start but not on 2+ miles boardwalk.

So beautiful and peaceful! Saw so much wildlife on the large loop walk. Really easy boardwalk path with lots of benches along the way. The area is very well preserved.
JetBlue Park, also known as Fenway South, is the venue where the Boston Red Sox hold their spring training. It serves as a home to the team and has been given the nickname "Fenway South" due to its design resembling Fenway Park. The stadium was named after JetBlue, a prominent airline headquartered in Boston, which purchased naming rights for this modern facility.
So I am here at the BeerFest and I’m so glad we came!! It was so much fun! Different beers for all tastes! Ice cream, hot dogs, French fries, discount prizes, donuts, 🍩, music, 🎶 and soooo much more. Come! #enjoy and know you will have a wonderful time. All American baby! Plus… wait for it! A tour of the stadium! We were in high heaven 💃🏻🎶♥️. God bless America!!! You’re welcome ☺️

Great sight lines. Fun pregame atmosphere with live band on the plaza with food trucks. Food is expensive yet most of it was well received. Sitting in the Green Monster keeps you in the shade. The stadium is not wraparound, so make sure to do the walk out to right field lawn and also all the way up to the top of the Green Monster (ask the security guard if you can grab a pick) - make sure to look behind the stadium from up there too, to see all the practice fields.

The ballpark is just OK. Really slow and long food lines and the game wasn’t even sold out. Craft beer options are very limited. Hammond Stadium a few minutes away is a much better experience.

Replica of their stadium provides the 'feel' of hometown baseball.
Purchase tickets on-line or at the stadium. Parking was efficient. Traffic not bad. Some areas covered for those sun conscious. Varied food options. Cool yet sunny skies gave a lovely experience of spring training. Saw a hometown player bat several times along with a home run.

I went to a Red Sox versus Twins game on Sunday March 26th. I thought the park was very nice, and there's really not a bad seat in there.
The game started at 1:00 and there was a decent amount of shade for about half of the seats in the stadium. I would not have wanted to been in the outfield bleachers, or in the seats beyond the left field wall, or a few other areas but generally it is a great ballpark for viewing.
Parking was a bit of a hassle, but you just have to get there a little bit ahead of game time to ensure that you're going to see the first pitch.
As is typical these days the only reason I didn't give it five stars was because of service and employee attitude. I went to a concession stand up up beyond the left field line, since they wouldn't let me enter with my own water bottle (hydro flask), and water was $4 a bottle. The other prices weren't bad, for instance for an Italian sausage with peppers and onions for $7.75, or a hot dog, but then you had to wait to get a drink and pay at the end of the line. If people wanted only food they still had to wait for people getting beers and drinks and it was extremely inefficient and time-consuming. Two people cooking in one person checking everyone out when the ratio should have been reversed.
I will say that I'm 6'3" and the aisles were a little cramped. Be prepared to stand up and sit down every time someone wants into or out of your row.
Fun day, good seats, slow food and drink both in the concession area and the vendors walking around.

Easy parking. Wonderful design allowing for shade and breeze. Love the Fenway park design and accurate dimensions. Looked forward to attending a game here for many years. Finally made it to see a young Team Jam ministry friend's son play in the Perfect Game 14u national select game. Probablly the most enjoyable and comfortable game experience Ive had in years. Last chance to be here was in 2013. Had to wait a while for this. Saw our young friend win the homerun derby too!

This is one of our favorite parks for spring training. The carnival atmosphere right outside the stadium is so exciting and unique! Food trucks, live music, batting cages for the kids, radar gun for the kids! Love the vibe at this park. We are Atlanta Braves fans and the visiting team players exit on the 3rd base side at the end of the game. They give autographs and talk with fans and kids!! Great stadium and venue!!!

Good fun in the sun! Food, drinks, and parking were all easy as can be. There isn’t a bad seat in the place. I’ve been to Fenway hundreds of times in my lifetime and this was a nice second choice if you’re looking for a fun ball field to visit. Be careful of fly balls along the pesky pole!

Very cool. Same as Fenway, except every seat in the stands is a great seat! Watching them play under the lights was amazing!
Kimbrough Polinsky — Google review
This was our first trip to JetBlue Park, and it won't be our last. It has a very retro feel, similar to Fenway, as it's clear it was designed to replicate. The outside surrounding the park was done really well, it has that street party feel like when you are in Boston. Most of the seats are in direct sunlight, so be prepared to get a lot of sun. We sat on the first base side 5 rows in, which was a fantastic view, but even the seats against the wall behind us looked great because of how small the park is. The scoreboards are operated manually like Fenway. Oh, we had the opportunity to get pictures with the 07 and 13 world series trophies, which were on display. The Ortiz picture I added was made of Legos. Parking is free, somewhat easy to navigate, but plan on being in a long line of traffic after the game since there is really only one way in and out for most of the vehicles. Cute town, but loved the experience. Go Sox!

Had a great time. Very clean. A ton of people to help you out. Be careful using a 3rd party service to get tickets, and then having them ready when you go to the gate. Make sure you follow the 3rd party steps so you are ready and your wife doesn't yell at you while you do it in line.
I like how they have recreated the green monster. They even have someone keeping score manually.

Great ball park and very well maintained fields. Our fields for the tournament were the best. The grounds crew and facilities management did an amazing job of preparing and taking care of the fields throughout the tournament. I’m extremely grateful and thankful for my opportunity to play at this incredible ball park.

I got there so early I was 20th in line. I received my medium sized Hawaiian shirt. I virtually had the entire park to myself for the first hour I was there. I walked around and saw everything I wanted to. By game time the park was jam packed. The Red Sox won in late innings to beat the Philadelphia Phillies. I highly recommend. My ticket was very reasonable @ $36.00.
William Cloutier — Google review
Don’t love the stadium design. Small electronic scoreboard makes it hard to see info, especially important at Spring Training with unfamiliar players. Concourses were extremely cramped and effectively outside the stadium disconnecting you completely from the game when going to restroom or seeking food. Food was actually pretty good. The mini big green monster is awesome.

We came down for a Red Sox-Yankees spring training game and were treated to a great blowout by the Sox! Lots of quality concession options and activities. I found the infrastructure to be of good quality, but the amenities not very well staffed or stocked. The concession stands were extremely, painfully slow, requiring several innings of standing, and there was no ketchup, barbecue sauce, or any condiments like that. A little more attention to detail would make this ballpark perfect.

The CREW Bird Rookery Swamp Trails is a former logging site that has been transformed into a popular destination for birders, hikers, and bikers. The park offers 12 miles of trails for hiking and biking, as well as a boardwalk for visitors to explore. However, those who visit should be aware that the area is home to numerous alligators and it is recommended to leave small dogs at home and carry small children.
This is one of my favorite trail in the area. Guaranteed that you will spot the wildlife including gators. Please give them their space if you come across one sitting on the trail. Respect the fact that you are in their territory! Almost 13 miles of loop if you finish the trail! Lots of birds and other wildlife to see in the further distance so make sure you bring binoculars to have the great time. Get there early in cooler weather and you will definitely come across gators sunbathing! We also came across some snakes so make sure to pay attention to your surroundings! Little children and dogs I would personally not recommend bringing since there are no barriers to protect them except yourself! Get out there, have fun and wear comfy shoes for better experience!

I go here about once a month and I absolutely love it. Great photography opportunities, not crowded and everyone you come across is very friendly. You can view wild gators up close (just be careful and obviously don't feed them). I'd recommend going early morning or right before dusk to avoid the heat and humidity. Oh, and it's free!

This place is amazing! I saw, no exaggeration, at least one hundred different alligators! Babies, and big ones. In the water and on the trail….at one point about a dozen blocked the trail and I sadly turned back around. I also saw otters playing, in the water and running the trail in front of me. This was my highlight!! Long hike, and it can become longer if you have to turn around 80% of the way through the loop, so bring lots of water, sunscreen, and bug spray.

Walked the first mile of the trail in mid-January 2024. Lots of birds in the canal leading to the parking lot and right by the parking lot. Overall we saw Red shoulder hawks, double breasted cormorants, snowy egrets, tri-color, great blue and little blue herons. Lots of warblers. Look for Ida the one-eyed alligator near the large drain pipe. Lots of black vultures.
Wear hiking boots, it’s pretty muddy. Bug repellent highly recommended.

Only go here if you really want to be up close and personal with the Alligators. You will likely see lots. Please leave your small dogs at home and carry small xhildren. We rode bikes along the trails. It is a 12 mile loop but it takes 2 miles in to get to the loop. You can walk, or ride bikes. We had our kids 9, 10, 13 and 15 with us. 2 times we turned around because big gators blocked the path. We saw all sizes from babies to big 10-12 ft. We saw birds and turtles to. Parking lot can easily fill up on a busy day.

This was our first visit and it was amazing. I don't know why I have not come here before. I have to admit we saw way more alligators than we did birds. I am from Florida and I have never seen so many so close. I could not believe it. We saw 14 in total. 6 of those were babies. Everyone was very respectful of their space and very careful. It was a pretty walk but you are right in nature. There is a short boardwalk and once that ends the rest of the path is right in the middle of it all. The first alligator we saw had part of its tail across the walking path. Crazy! Take water and be aware that the only facilities are two port a potties in the parking lot. Do NOT bring pets. 1) they are not allowed and 2) they will be gator food.

This place is a hidden gem. I can't believe I didn't know about it sooner. Beautiful and well-maintained trail with close proximity to tons of wildlife. We saw hawks, egrets, herons, and plenty of gators. Were saw so many babies which surprised me since it's so early in the season. We went early before it got too hot and it seemed like the gators were more active in the water, when we left in the afternoon they were all out sunning. Most of the gators on the trail scurried off before we got to them but as long as you give them space they won't bother you. I will definitely be back!

It's definitely our new favorite trail! We immediately got to see otters playing and eating mud fish( I actually have no clue what kind they were, but they were interesting looking) in the water. The alligators ranged from medium-sized to juvenile. Of course, we saw some birds: Osprey and Rosette Spoonbills. There were plenty variety of plants to look at and a variety of butterflies everywhere! The walk to point A is about 1.25 miles. Easy to medium difficultty as there are stumps sticking out of the ground that blend in. And if you are a head on a swivel when out in nature such as myself, you don't always look where you are walking. Make sure to bring some water. We will definitely be returning to this location to bike next time.

This is an awesome place to See Florida wildlife. Make sure you use sunscreen. Bring bug repellent. Plenty to drink. To do the whole thing is over 12 miles. If you bike it, know the trail is bumpy, roots and rocks. Also, I wouldn't bring my dog here. The alligators are sometimes literally on the trail or right next to it!!

This trail is very nice if you like alligators and want to see them in their natural habitat. It can be dangerous because we had to pass really close to like 15 of them. They were sunbathing on the middle of the trail and from both side were swaps. Because of that it was impossible to go around them in a safe manner, so please be very careful and cautious!
It’s really not for everyone and light hearted people.

There is a short boardwalk and two long trail options if you walk past the boardwalk. I visited in the summer and knew that I would not be able to complete either loop because of the heat. My plan was to turn around after about one hour. I walked slowly because I was looking for wildlife to take photos of. For 90% of the time I was alone, as most visitors did not walk far beyond the boardwalk, and it was nice to listen for wildlife and not be disturbed by other visitors. I did not see much, however. One squirrel, one small egret, a very quick small green bird (probably a warbler), lots of insects and a bald eagle who was eating something on the trail but took off before I could get close. On my way back I got caught in a typical summer storm but it wasn't too bad. The place seemed beautiful to me in the rain and it wasn't hot anymore. Of course the trail got a bit more difficult but it was worth it.
The Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, Florida, span 21 acres and showcase the former residences of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. This historical attraction offers insights into the lives of wealthy individuals in the early 20th century. Visitors can explore the research lab, botanical gardens, and a museum that houses intriguing artifacts related to these famous figures and their families.
We were trying to find something to do before we headed to the FT Myers airport for a late flight today and I found this historic site on Google Maps. The Thomas Edison and Henry Ford winter home museum was the PERFECT last day for our trip to Florida! CHET WAS OUR GUIDE, he was super knowledgeable and very informative. The total tour took about 75 minutes but it was a beautiful day and we moved from place to place so he kept our attention! For a moment we dreamt away and realized we were standing in the same spots as some of the all time greatest inventors in the world and that was fantastic!! The fact that Thomas Edison and Henry Ford were best friends was the best of all the fun facts! As a BIG bonus the trees are absolutely breathtaking! Pack a lunch and just sit in the gardens and take it all in! Completely unforgettable and highly recommendable!!

I went to Edison and Ford Winter Estates during a trip to Fort Myers. I took a guided tour which was approximately $30. Our tour guide who called himself an historian, provided a lot of good insights regarding the lives of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford and kept us engaged during the entire tour. It was approximately 100 degrees outside that day but he managed to keep us in the shades most of the tour. You're not allowed to go inside the homes but you can peek through the doors/windows. After the tours which was approximately an hour and a half, I went back inside the museum to visit some of the exhibits of Edison and Ford. I also visited the grounds which are well maintained and beautiful. I could have spent a whole day there.

Well worth the stop. It's always fun to visit places where wealthy industrialists from the 19th century vacationed. Both men were true pioneers from 1880s through their deaths in the 1930's and 1940's .

Came here on the first day that they celebrated their holiday nights special event. Booked the guided tour and our tour guide did a fantastic job explaining all the information. It’s a very expansive estate at the same time the guide didn’t waste any time and we were able to finish the tour after an hour without issues.
It is absolutely beautifully decorated and they aren’t normally open this late but it’s beautiful to see all the holiday lights being set up. It’s quite a unique experience.
They also had some food vendors which we partook in a few treats since it was getting late and it was a replacement for dinner. Recommend buying guided tour tickets early as they do sell out pretty quickly.

A great place to visit if you're in the Ft Myers area. We got a cool little " private" tour because only 4 of us had paid for the guided tour. Scott was so knowledgeable about every aspect of Edison's history. He was very impressive. There is a museum with Ford's cars and some of Edison's inventions. Across the road are their estates which sit on beautiful waterfront grounds. We learned a little about Ford, but the majority of the tour focused on Edison. There is a cute gift shop at the end of the tour.

On a recent first visit to Ft. Myers, I decided to check out this amazing place on the river. I never knew that Henry Ford and Thomas Edison were next door neighbors in their winter homes! Both men are legendary American icons. The grounds of the estate are gorgeous. Throughout the tour there were volunteers to explain and demonstrate things. I particularly liked Edison's office and home. They have a fantastic museum with an original model T. There is ample parking and the admission fee was reasonable. This is a must see!

Well maintained residency, location is near the water with great view. The parking is free. If you buy tickets online, you need to exchange them to waist bands at ticket office first. It is better to visit the museum first because it has so many first hand real things to see and read. Also the garden and the park adjacent to the ticket office are great, many nursery items for sale. Spent about 2.5 hrs today but could do more especially at the museum.

Fun experience with the family! Please note that if you are going on a reciprocal membership please be sure all reciprocal members names are on cards or you need to pay for those not named.
Gardens were well maintained with really interesting specimens. I had no idea the extent that Edison and his assistants experimented with plants.
Plan for the weather as most of the exhibits are outside. Gardens close in thunder alerts. You cannot walk through houses, but they have opened all the doorways to see in many of the rooms. Highlight of the gardens is the self guided audio tour. Short, entertaining, informational and well done!
Museum is quite interesting and air conditioned :)

A great place to take a 3-hour break. They have guided tours and self-guided tours. The self-guided tours have follow-along references using your cell phone. Great for keeping your own pace.
There were just as many children excited to see the Winter Estates as the adults.
A few of my favorite highlights are in the images of the laboratory, the Ford, and the pier.
At the end of your visit, cool down in the museum. And before you go, there is a seating area with some refreshing drinks in the shade.
So neat to see what the inventing minds of our country had for their everyday use.

Don’t let the price which may seem high shy you away from this gem of a destination in Fort Myers. There are plenty of places to stop and admire the view and the beautiful grounds without a lot of noise or heavy people traffic. I spent 30 minutes on a bench under coconut trees just listening to birds and the waves of the river splashing against the shore. The app is full of great facts and content to make the self tour fully immersive. The staff were all so pleasant and helpful.

If you're in Fort Myers, you've gotta check out Edison and Ford's winter estates—it's a real gem. First thing you'll see is this massive Banyan tree at the entrance that's just mind-blowing. Seriously, it's like nature's welcome hug.
Inside, there's this mix of cool old buildings, beautiful gardens, a research lab, and a museum dedicated to Edison and Ford. It's not just history; it's like stepping into their world.
Oh, and don't miss the on-site store – they've got some really unique stuff. Plus, You can see the native plants of Florida from the garden next to the on-site-store.
Whether you're into history or just want a chill day surrounded by good vibes, these estates are a winner. It's not your average tourist spot; it's like a little escape into the past with a touch of nature. Don't miss out! 👍

Very interesting exhibits, thought I knew quite a bit about Edison, but a lot of this was new. Interesting insights into his life and friends.
The grounds were very nice as well, nicely maintained and interesting plantings.

I was in town for another event but spent the rest of the day here touring the grounds and museum.
I absolutely enjoyed my visit. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a mini presentation on how to work the old phonograph devices that I enjoyed listening to.
There's lots of small little walking trails on the grounds including one by the river that is very nice. You can't get lost and there are benches to sit everywhere.
I enjoyed using the app to tell me about certain spots.
I'm not much of a plant person but they have plants everywhere here. Some very pretty.
I am a history nerd and this is a great place if you like history. I learned a lot.

If this is the type of history you enjoy, you'll probably like touring the grounds and poking your head into the homes, Edison's study, and the museum. The homes are underwhelming in my mind; period furniture that you'll see at just about any historical home/building of roughly the same era. That being said, it isn't totally my thing, so you might notice interesting differences. The grounds are pretty with a variety of plant life and a nice walk along the river. The museum is brief, but once again, interesting if this is your type of history. The laboratory adjacent to the museum was the not intriguing thing for me.

A must-see attraction when in the Fort Myers area. Took the guided tour and it was a great experience. Started with a 15-minute intro to Edison, Ford, and the history. The group (~12 persons) walked around with the guide and we stopped regularly to get more info about the buildings, plants and trees, history, etc.

We've lived in Fort Myers for a few years, yet this was the first time we were willing to dish out $30 to visit this place. We picked a good time, because the place is very beautiful when covered in Christmas lights. The Christmas trees decorated by local classrooms were particularly nice. The history and exhibits at the estate were interesting, but I'm not convinced worth the $30 entrance fee by themselves.

Wonderful visit. The guided tour is recommended if you want to ask questions or learn more in depth knowledge if the premises and their occupants. Didn't realize that the Edisons and Fords were good friends. Great gift shop with a number of books to choose from, great kids toys and handmade art pieces.

We went for Holiday Nights and loved it! They did such an amazing job decorating for the holidays. We loved learning about the estates and the families who lived there. There were plenty of docents around to answer questions and they were very knowledgeable. The interpretive signs were also very helpful. We had a laugh over the house rules. "Don't kill the black snakes under the porch. They are there for a reason!" And "Don't tell us about Palm Beach. We don't care." There were many photo ops throughout the estates. The gift shops had really nice things from snacks to books to Christmas ornaments.

We came on a Saturday evening for the Holiday Nights light show. It was such a cool experience. The houses had the top glass doors open. You could look into the rooms but could not enter. The gift shop was also open, and there were plants for purchase. The only thing we could not do was the museum as it had closed a couple hrs before we arrived. This is a family event, so bring the kids. The bathrooms were clean. There was music playing as well as snacks and drinks available for purchase. The Banyan trees are an amazing sight to see. The parking does fill up, but there is plenty of overflow parking available. I recommend to anyone looking to get into the holiday spirit.
This tour is a must!! The guide was funny the hostess during the tastings was funny and it was a lovely experience. The rum was also very good. We bought a few to take home. Will return and highly recommend.

Nice outside / open air tiki hut vibe. We got there late so things were pretty much wrapped up. But we ordered a drink and caught the last few songs from the band.
Good selection of rum cocktails, and friendly staff. The only knock against them is the bugs... they are right next to a pond and the bugs / No See Ums were bad. I HATE those damn things.

FUN little afternoon activity. We were unaware we had to make.a reservation. They were accomdating and squeezed us onto the tour. They do them on the hour. Nathan was very informative and was able to answer ALL questions our curious crowd had. Crazy to think they consume over 20 tons of sugar in there operations, but have less sugar content then a lot of the name brands were used to. They had two signature cocktails on special the Mango Arnold Palmer and the Vanilla Bean Sunrise. They both were tasty, I'm not a big tea fan so Sunrise was my favorite. Want to order a wicked punch but it was not available, but did get a sample during the tour. YUM!! Sampling was fun, with the amount of people on the tour it did get a little hot and stuffy in the gift shop at the end, but we made it. Love that they utilize LOCAL ingredients to make their RUM (they have a Vodka too). Take the time and check this operation out, you will not be disappointed.

Such a great place! We did not take a tour but did sampling. They have an amazing line of rum. Hands down much better than mass produced rum! The staff is phenomenal! We are only here for this week and have made 2 visits here so far!

We toured twice, once alone and once with visiting friends from up north. It is really fun. The tour is about 30 minutes and informative. Samples are great. We walked out with several purchased bottles and we don't really drink rum a lot. It is a fun staff and one of the few (maybe only?) woman-owned distilleries in FLA. This is definitely worth a visit. If you can come on Friday or Saturday later in the day, the tiki bar is open with live music (one guitar player so the noise isn't overwhelming). We would definitely do this again when time allows.

Was hoping to come in for a tour while vacationing, but time flew by and we only were able to visit on an off day. Did a tasting of 4. The vanilla, keylime, pineapple, and mango. All were very smooth. Favorite ended up being the mango so I got a bottle of that one. Hoping the product line will make its way to Michigan to make it quick accessibility.

Went with out of town friends to tour the distillery. We were told to go into retail lobby to await our tour to be called. When we entered a woman immediately welcomed us and said “before the tour starts you should sample the rum.” There was a handwritten sign with 3 options for a rum drink. We all picked the same one which was mixed up in a plastic cup. Then the woman said that will be $25. WHAT? We had NO idea that there would be a cost. I didn’t see any sign indicating price. There were handwritten signs all over the retail area. It left a sour taste in our mouth so to speak.
We went on the tour which was great and informative.

We found this event online in Eventbrite and decided to come. They give us a tour of how they make their own rum. Skyler, which was our guide, explained in detail how the process was. In the meantime, Jane brought us some rum examples, and then, at the end, we were able to test every single rum. We ended up buying some bottles and a punch, which is a little cocktail with coconut rum and cranberry. It's definitely worth coming out and having some fun.

This is a great place for an interesting visit, and also from which to purchase rum whether or not you are able to visit their distillery. Their tours are interesting and the rum is very high quality. They have won over 50 awards, several against international competition. Although all rum is made from sugar, all the sugar has been removed by the time the distilling is complete. Any sugar you taste in rum is from things that are added to it, such as coconut, mango, etc. They offer several of these fruity rums as well as some more complex and interesting spirits, such as coffee-infused or spiced rum. Their oak barrel aged 10-year-old rum has many of the characteristics of a fine whiskey and works well as a substitute for bourbon in your favorite cocktail. They also have a great recipe book for sale including interesting cocktail combinations and food. Their rums have all natural ingredients and significantly less sugar content than rums you might be familiar with from the "big boys" in the business. If you tour, you'll enjoy the tasting at the end, usually led by Jen, the tasting room manager. She makes some great suggestions for ways to drink Wicked Dolphin rum, as well as running commentary that will keep you amused. You're sure to enjoy some great rum, and a fun time if you can visit.

My husband and I went to the wicked dolphin distillery today. We did a tour which was very nice and everything was explained very well in the making of the various rum flavors along with. The bitters you can purchase separately. The staff was very nice and welcoming, and the ability to sample the various products was nice. They have a patio out front that allows you to get a drink and sit while you’re waiting for your tour to begin. I would highly recommend a visit.
Lovers Key State Park is a state park that is located in Fort Myers Beach. It offers breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico, manatees, dolphins, and bald eagles. The beach is open 365 days a year and provides a perfect getaway for any beachgoer.
Lovers Key State Park is a really neat location with lots to do! We just got our annual park pass and decided to try this one out! They have an awesome shuttle to and from the beach. The beach views and sand are gorgeous! We did one of the walking trails which takes you through some jungle looking wilderness, past the butterfly gardens and next to a bunch of beautiful scenic waterways. I would highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area and have some time to explore! They have a cute gift shop, rentals, discovery center and much more for the whole family!

I wanted to enjoy the paddleboards offered at Lovers Key again, but the day got away from me and I arrived too late. The boards need to be returned by 4:30 and it takes about 15 minutes it fill out paperwork and make it across the street where the boards are located. So be there by 3 at the very latest to enjoy a full hour paddling the channel, maybe you'll see a manatee while you're paddling. I made my way out to the beach. It is a short walk but there is a tram that runs from the parking lot to the beach. Ample room in the back of the truck for chairs and coolers. They have bathroom facilities in the parking lot and the tram drop off at the beach. The beach was wonderful, white sand and plenty of shells. Saw small sea birds, pelicans, dolphins and even a manta ray leap out of the water! The park closed shortly after sunset. The last tram waited for the people to clear the beach before pulling away. There was not much time after arriving in the parking lot to get in your car and go before they locked the restrooms and main gates. Found out they have several beach wheel chairs available for use!

Beautiful state park with wonderful beaches between Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Springs. There is plenty of parking for an entry fee of 8$ per car, which is very reasonable.
We went there several times with our kids during our Florida holidays and it was always an experience. Even the little tram ride from the parking spot to the south beach is great for them.
At the beach you have all facilities in place with restrooms, showers and picnic areas, as well as a little food truck.
The beach itself is amazing with clear water, white sand and tons of shells. We will definitely come again ...

We really enjoyed our day at this park. We mostly did a beach day but also did some hiking on the trails. Note that after parking you take a trailer ride to the beach from the parking lot. This was running continuously all day and seemed to be back every 10-15 minutes or so. This worked out well. They had good bathroom facilities at both sides of the trailer ride (adjacent the parking lot, and at the beach), so this was nice too. There is a gift shop next to the main parking lot and it has some ice cream and drinks there too, plus lots of gift ideas. There is also food available at the beach. The beach was great for shells, we got some good ones! It was a red flag day so the water was rough, but we did walk along the shoreline and that was nice. Lots of birds around and the water was a pretty color here. 2+ miles of shore here so you can walk a long ways. We had no problems parking but got here around 10AM-ish, I'd imagine at later times after noon it gets much busier. When we were leaving the lot looked pretty full. Highly recommend this place.

Great beach and many people visiting Ft. Meyers never make it here. This beach is hidden and you have to go over the bridge coming from Fort Meyers. Then you have to take a weird turn to get to the parking lot. You have to pay, it’s not free. The beach is pretty and there are a number of people fishing day and night at this spot or near by. It’s a hike to the nearest beach but you can go down further. It’s very pretty and there are several mangroves in the area. Some people are more adventurous where they go on a kayak in the mangroves near by or the coves. It’s not wilderness but use your common sense. If you swim keep in mind there are currents don’t underestimate the ocean.

Visited this state park to catch the sunset, and it was breathtaking. The beach is beautiful, and you have the option of taking a tram or a half-mile walk to reach it. Keep in mind that the park closes around 6 due to hurricane-related issues affecting the lighting. Overall, a serene and picturesque spot for nature lovers.

What a stunning knock dead gorgeous place. Beautiful beaches, estuaries, and Discovery Center.
We first stopped at the Discovery Center to get the lay of the land, so to speak. We were met by Glenda, a docent who volunteers her time here. Very pleasant lady and very knowledgeable. She was able to answer all of our questions, and she pointed out things to do after leaving the Discovery Center.
The Discovery Center is amazing. Very well put together, giving you an excellent overview of the biodiversity of the marine life and land loving creatures. There are a lot of interactive displays for kids of all ages. There is a telescope there where you can spy in on a nesting pair of Ospreys. We strongly recommend that you visit this place first.
From there, we walked over and took the trolley down to the beach. The beach has been combed down to a depth of three feet to remove the hurricane derbis from hurricane Ian less than two years ago. Be careful if you go into the water. It is strongly recommended that you wear shoes in the water. Many hazards may still be on the ocean floor that can not be seen. There are restrooms near the beach area.
There are lots of trails, and you are allowed to ride your bikes on these trails.
Again, it is a must-see place during your travels to this area.

Embark on a thrilling adventure with Key West Express, a ferry service that offers high-speed trips to Key West. The jet-powered catamarans provide a quick 3.5-hour journey, making it an ideal day trip option. Guests can enjoy amenities such as onboard entertainment screens and friendly crew members. While seating choices may require early arrival, the overall experience is praised for its ease of booking, convenient parking facilities, and efficient boarding procedures.
Great trip! Bar and bar food & snacks available for purchase. Boat goes fast!! Enjoyable ride and comfortable seating. We went for the Key West Day Trip. I recommend staying in Key West for at least an overnight as there is not much time to spend on the day trip. We got the sneak preview of key west. We bought tix for the conch train, which in hindsight, I would have not done.

The boat is cool, being a 12,000+ HP jet powered catamaran with food and drinks on board. That being said, the trip was like other mass transit options. Lots of waiting in lines and mass humanity. The personnel were nice enough, the boat was fairly comfortable, the experience of sailing across the Gulf of Mexico was great. The downside to it was the crowding and the waiting.

Key West Express was easy to find and parking is not free. Parking cost 51.00 from Friday to Sunday. Fee per person was 119.00 for both ways to and from but check online at their website for sales. From the moment you enter the parking lot a man greets you and shows you were to go and park. Collect your own luggage from the car and take it onto the boat where they will store it for you but be aware space for luggage is limited so get there early, if not you may be taking it with you which isn’t terrible but you have it by you taking up room. Boarding was easy with your boarding pass (if you don’t have a boarding pass go to the window and they will issue you one) my husbands boarding pass was on another booking number so I could not print his pass for some reason. A glitch in the system and they should fix that issue but the lady at the window was knowledgeable about that so she printed the pass and we were on our way. The crew greets you as you board and disembark. And if you have any issues there are plenty of nice people to direct you along the way. Upon boarding a man takes your luggage and you can then take your seat. You will collect your luggage at the end of the trip. It will be on the lower level and they direct you to circle around and collect your own luggage then proceed to disembark. Seat choices are first come first served, no assigned seats, and restrooms are plentiful. Restrooms are not fancy but have everything you need to go including hand washing and hand sanitizer. They are outside and inside. The inside you have tables and a cash only bar where they sell food and liquor and beer on the first floor. Long Island iced tea was 9.50 not bad and nicely made with plenty of liquor. Hot dog and hot pretzel was good. Two liquor drinks, a hot dog, bag of Doritos and a hot pretzel with cheese was 27 dollars. Not badly priced we thought. We sat outside on the way down from ft. Meyers to key west. It was around 90 degrees and sunny and very comfortable at first. But three hours of constant wind was a little much for us so on the way back we sat on the second floor where they had inside tables also and you can move around and go outside when we wanted too. There are spots outside where you have less wind. They have two different boats. The one we took down was different than the one we caught back so keep that in mind. Seats are plentiful so you shouldn’t have an issue. The trip took about three in a half hours or so. Food and booze like I said is cash only. People left there things at their seats and moved around with no issues. Trip was smooth and it was nice not to drive down ourselves. We caught the 6pm boat back from Key West with no issues. Keep in mind check out is usually 11 am so if you’re taking the 6 pm boat you may have a little wait. We had lunch and did some shopping to kill time. We thought leaving the hotel at 4 pm was good. The hotel stored luggage for us, and then called us a cab. We were there by 4:20 and was able to get an inside seat with no issues. All cash on board and tip the crew because they are great. Smoking is aloud on the lower level while on the boat for all you smokers. Very easy process for the first time for us. We would definitely recommend Key West Express.

Fun and convenient. Smooth rides from Fort Myers Beach to Key West and back, under excellent weather conditions in February. I didn't realize how big this boat was; the main level cabin is about 36 feet wide with tables for up to six along the sides and rows of seats in the middle. Cocktail bar and snack bar in the center with reasonable basic food to hold you over. Second level is similar inside seating. Highly recommend to climb the stairs all the way up to the 3rd level (outside deck) - it is very windy up there but it feels great and the view is amazing.

While on vacation, I decided to take this ferry from Fort Myers to Key West. I had parking near where the boat was docked. I boarded with no problems, but there was no direction on where to sit. The seats were comfortable. The seats with tables were all taken by those who I guess were experienced riders. The ride to Key West was smooth, but 4 hours felt a lot longer than I imagined. The bar and gallery were quite pricey, but I wasn't surprised. The ride back to Fort Myers was a lot rougher. Several people got sick, but the staff handled it well. I stayed up top where the up and down wasn't felt as much, but the wind on my face and ears was intense. The staff was friendly. It was not a bad experience but something I won't do again.

From the time we arrived in the parking lot it felt like we were traveling abroad for a big vacation. Staff greeted us with open arms, helped with questions, and got us underway on time. The ride was fun and refreshments reasonably priced-just wish they had frozen drinks with umbrellas. Would definitely do this trip again! You don’t need/want a car on Key West-parking sucks. Walk, get a scooter, bike, whatever, it start your trip on the Key West Express.

Seriously, the crew could not be nicer. They were affable, helpful, and considerate. The food is basically mid-grade freezer section food, which is fine. It definitely was good enough but could be better. The drinks were OK also. Same ok, not fabulous. The bathrooms were clean and plentiful. Decent shows were available to watch on the TVs to pass the time. The ride was smooth in both directions. My only complaint is that we wished the seats were more comfortable. After being in Key West all day, being in seats that could be reclined enough to put our feet up and nap would have been greatly appreciated. Overall, this is an amazing way to go back and forth to Key West.

Best way to get to Key West, much better than driving (we've done both). Be warned, however: making a "day trip" is a 12-14 hour day. Better to take a day or 2 on the island.
Amazing vessel and the crew is top notch. Snacks are good and there is a decent selection at the bar. Ride the wind on the top deck or relax in the AC on the lower deck.
I can imagine it would be a challenge to bring young children, or even teenagers, as there are times on the 4 hour trip where there is no Cell or 5G service (gasp!). You are on the open Gulf 😀.

The ride was pretty chill. They have screens with HGTV playing. If you want a choice of seat you have to get there really earlier. I'm not sure about the Fort Myers' side, but the key west side people were waiting 5 hours before loading. The crew was nice. The snack food prices are not bad, but the food was. If you want, bring cash to tip at the end, but I will say this SHAME ON THE OWNER if the crew truly needs tips to survive. The cost of this was what I would pay for a flight or a two day cruise. So if the crew needs tips to make their wages, then the owner is making bank by not paying them enough and pocketing more than they should, and then asking for $$ on wages he should be paying himself.

Awesome way to get to Key West. Boat rise was smooth and alot of fun. Very seamless on both ends of the journey. I suggest staying over the night in Key West to see the sunset at Mallory Square. The food and drinks on board were well priced as well.

I highly recommend their services! From the easy booking process to parking facilities right at the dock and boarding procedures that the staff facilitated with ease, this was a pleasant experience! Howie, the friendliest bartender ever, was courteous, friendly and very efficient even with the large crowd. He got our drink orders and food choices done with yummy results. The drink and food choices are enough variety so there's plenty for your liking and prices are more reasonable than I expected. Many people use the ferry for little getaways to Key West and the staff is very accommodating with luggage. There's plenty of room to walk around and also decks for your viewing and photo taking. The facilities are very clean and bathrooms were much more spacious than expected. The staff is very thorough in explaining all rules and conduct aboard ship and they will even assist with excursions on Key West if you need. Definitely a great idea to pick their brains since they have font of information and suggestions and don't mind sharing their knowledge. I definitely recommend & a little tip, take the ferry and spend the night since Key West is so full of fun you won't want to leave!

First off, it's super convenient to take this to Key West.
Do NOT expect first class cruise ship experience. Come in thinking it's a relaxing little ferry ride with a full bar. The food is nothing special, but at least it's something to put into your stomach until you make it to Key West.
Being that my wife and I came on a Friday as the tourist season was starting to ramp up, we got sat outside on the second level. All of the interior was full. We got there an hour early, just a heads-up. It's the same going back too from Key West. Get there are early as possible if you want interior seating.
With so much going on and it being a new experience for me, I found it overwhelming because I didn't know where the bathrooms were or where the bar was at first.
Just get up and walk around. It's a pretty chill experience, honestly. The bar and cafeteria area are both on the first level.
There are bathrooms on both the first and second level. Bathrooms are larger than an airplane bathroom, but similar to a degree.
The staff was excellent and courteous. They gave us advice as we were traveling.
Side note, call your hotel to see if they hold luggage. Hotels don't check in normally until 4 pm, and Key West Express will get you there around 11am. The Hyatt Centric I stayed at did hold luggage. If you stay at a hotel that doesn't hold luggage, the ferry drops you off at a place that will hold your luggage and deliver it to your hotel when it's time to check in, allowing you to wander freely around Key West until its time for check in. From what I saw on the pricing, it was pretty comparable.
The one major problem was a storm front came through the night we were headed back to Fort Myers, and even with the crew trying to get as close to shore as possible, the waves were horrible. I had sea sickness almost the entire trip back. Threw up over...and over....and over.....and over. I sat outside on the first level near the smoke break area. People were running to the bathroom, and even coming outside on the deck to hurl over the railing. It was a bad storm.
This is not the crew's fault though. It was still a horrible experience back.
The kicker to that return back was that my wife actually got there early and got excellent interior seating....but I still ended up spending most of my time outside enjoying fresh air while dry heaving.

This ferry service was excellent! Got us to Key West and back to Fort Myers on the same day! Friendly crew and great views!

I had a great experience taking this ferry down to Key West for the first time. Check-in process is very organized from start to finish. The services on the ferry are accommodating. I do recommend bringing a blanket and a good book to read! The ride there and back was smooth with very minimal disruptions. The crew and captain are super friendly and helpful with answering any questions you may have.

Very expensive, especially since we carried two bikes. The galley food is just what you'd expect. The trip was relaxing both ways. We did not partake of the booze but the bar seemed well stocked.

It was so easy to get to Key West by catching the catamaran from Ft. Myers - much easier & faster than driving.

You will absolutely love the experience of taking the Key West Express to Key West! The crew is truly amazing, the boat ride, the views, the onboard restaurant and bar services...don't miss out!

Great way to travel to Key West. However, be sure and get a prescription for something if you're prone to sea sickness. Rough waters going back to Ft. Myers made for a not so enjoyable time.

We decided to take this express which is very well run and offers a bar and hot food options. It was advertised as 3.5 hrs but it took 4 hrs each way. We still had enough time on the island for a day trip.
Barefoot Beach County Preserve is an undeveloped barrier island that boasts a pristine sandy beach, a learning center, a butterfly garden and a walking trail. This nature preserve is widely regarded as the best natural beach in Collier County with crystal clear waters and great amenities. Visitors can enjoy spotting various types of wildlife including turtles, fishes and birds while strolling along the boardwalk or engaging in activities such as snorkeling.
Drove down to Barefoot beach after finishing my convention. This is a beautiful secluded beach. White sands, small waves and green water. Not a lot of beachgoers after 5 pm. The sunset was amazing and worth the drive. The water was not clear on my visit, but I believe it can be with proper wind and tides.
There is a kayak launch across the parking area and the canal side looks beautiful with the mangroves and very natural. I did see the famous gopher turtle crossing the path.
Pets are not allowed contrary to this google map information.

This beach is great. There are limited public restrooms but they are available. This is a “hidden gem” that many of the locals visit and the cost of admittance is $8.00 per vehicle. Bring snacks and water and be prepared to walk a bit for the restroom. There are rinse off stations available and wheelchair access. There is a food stand on site too. This place is a must visit if you’re a local or visiting the area. In order to get to this place, you do have to travel through an HOA neighborhood.

Bonita springs is between Fort myers and Naples. Not much crowded.

In staying in the Area, this was the family favorite beach to hit, and went several times during our stay in the area. It does cost to get in, but to avoid the crowds at Fort Myers, it was worth it. When you are heading there it will feel like you are lost, trust the directions and keep going! Long stretch of beach to explore! Was very clean and clear of debris/garbage. Well maintained.
There was a limited food option if you didn't pack food, or grab ice cream for the littles. I will warn that bathrooms a little bit of a walk from the beach area if you have littles with.

It is true, this is one of the most beautiful beaches I've visited in America. The only fee you have to pay is $10 parking and you enjoy a full day of white sand, clear water and the most beautiful sunset eve.r

Beautiful beach and extremely clean. The beaches in the area get quite congested so recommend going early to find parking. Sand is soft and white with lots of little shells to collect. Pushing a stroller or cart may be a little challenging, so keep that in mind

This beach is a hidden gem. Not overly crowded. At first, we thought we were going the wrong way because you have to go through a gated, rich neighborhood to get to the beach. You get your parking ticket through a pay meter, just $10. The preserve closes at sunset and the rangers will let you know. There are golpher tortoises out and about so make sure you make sure they are not under the car or that you're driving too fast. Lots of beautiful shells to collect, different types that we couldn't find on Sanibel Island. We spent a lot of days at this beach. Definitely our favorite in Naples/Ft. Myers area.

Visited late afternoon recently and enjoyed the area. They had recently reopened and hurricane damage was evident in many places yet. Beach was nice, a decent crowd but not overly packed and was able to park ok. Beach access is a bit of challenge yet with only one entry and a longer walk. We did get to see a gopher tortoise before leaving which was a bonus. Nice place that is still recovering.

This is a beautiful beach for swimming and relaxing! The shells after a storm are just stunning! This is the best beach in the area make sure to stop by!

The park is partially open due to Hurricane Ian damage, but beach access is allowed.
Haven’t seen any of the resident gopher tortoises yet, and beach access is close to the parking areas. Bring a plastic bag to pick up trash when you go please!!

This beach is beautiful, quiet, calm & peaceful. Is not filled with people on every inch. Probably My favorite Beach in Naples. No access to bathrooms/etc in direct range. Long walk. Other than that, it's a relatively wonderful spot!

Gorgeous stretch of beach, with access to the bay side as well for kayak launch. Area still recovering from Hurricane Ian, so some parking areas are closed, and lots of construction vehicles on the road toward the park.
Park has provided portable toilets at Parking Lot 3, which is the only one with beach access available at this time.

Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve is a stunning destination for eco-educational experiences. It offers guided tours in various nearby national parks and wildlife refuges, providing insights into local hiking trails, environmental research, and diverse bird life. Went to today’s Farmer’s Market and was terribly disappointed! ONE pricey fruit & veggie stand and the rest jewelry, clothing, CBD products galore and other miscellaneous tents.
Was told on my way out that Marco Island has a true FATMER’s Market in Wednesday’s! That’ll be my next visit!
OTHERWISE The ROOKERY itself is fantastic! I’ll make multiple trips there when it’s open!

Absolutely incredible sunset rookery boat tour with Ryan and Forrest. They were absolute authorities on local hiking trails, local environmental research, and of course all the amazing intricacies of the awesome critters we saw.
Speaking of, the bird life diversity and behavior on display was jaw dropping. Never seen anything like it, backlit by the dramatic sunset.
This was a total highlight of our time around Marco Island and I’d strongly recommend to everyone!

Great resource, but closed to the public until summer (best estimate).
The Sanibel Lighthouse, LLC is a historic beachfront beacon located on Sanibel Island that offers spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico. The grounds are open to the public to view the exterior of this historic lighthouse up close, and it also makes for an ideal location for photos and memories with loved ones.
First time visitor and I absolutely love this beach. Parking is limited, there are several very small lots. Parking is $5 an hour, you prepay and put slip in your car. Bathrooms were clean. There is a fishing pier and the landscaping everywhere is well maintained. Found some pretty shells, water was very clear. We will definitely return!

The beach wasn't crowded. I found parking easy. The water had a bit of a current but not to strong. The tree area had alot of tiny biting gnats.

This is one of the amazing locations s we visited during our Florida trip. The beach was almost empty, and the light house was unique.
There are limited parking spaces, and the parking payments can be done through the phone. The parking area had a lot of slush!
I would recommend walking past the light house and you would be able to see an amazing view of the city.

A main historical point on Sanibel Island. Well preserved, nice historical plaque, the houses and adjacent blogs. are well kept. Definitely worth the visit. And so close to a beautiful beach that changes daily and has many different shells. This is a fun beach area for kids also since it is shallow for a ways out.

Favorite Florida beach!! Best and clearest water, biggest and prettiest seashells! Not overly crowded which is nice. Parking can be challenging but if you have patient's you won't have a problem finding a spot.

Some storm debris and more bugs here than the upper island spots. But we loved this whole island! Visited on a Fri in Sept. Soft sand, great shelling, awesome spots to eat. Our only out of pocket was parking. Lots of rebuilding underway but definitely open and ready to have your support and patronage

The facilities for this place aren’t the best due to reconstruction from the hurricane. There are only Porta Potties around the beach. However, the parking is the standard 5/hr and is right on the beach front. This beach is amazing for people who love to collect shells, the collection on the beach itself was fantastic. The water was very moderate in temperature, and there are sandbars so the water is very shallow and is perfect for little kiddos.

Excellent beach for walking my puppy. Clean and plenty of room for everybody. $6 toll to enter island. $5 an hour to park. Limited parking. But if you get there by 8:30am or so you should be good. Rising sun is beautiful. So calming.
Mike & Erin Jarvis — Google review
The toll getting to the island is ridiculous!
Once you get to the lighthouse, parking is limited, if it’s the weekend, holiday or summer, get there early.
Both the beach and the lighthouse are wheelchair accessible.
Public restrooms were clean
Make sure you explore the west part of the island as well.
Christmas is a great time to visit and my favorite, so many homes and businesses partake in the decorating.
I’d recommend bringing a cooler with your drinks and lunch, the island is a bit pricey.

Gorgeous beach. We went to watch the sunset, and it was worth it. Lighthouse is still being worked on since the hurricane. Give yourself some extra time to get on and off the island, especially from 4-6. We experienced a lot of traffic.

We were there on Dec 9. And we didn't have any gnats or noseeims flying around like we had about a month ago. Weather was beautiful but the water was like ice water! But that depends on where your from I'm guess. It was to cold to get in over our feet. But a very nice walk down the beach.

It's a wonder to see it come back to life. Go early to get parking. It's paid by app. Love this feature, you get reminded before your time is up and can add time without walking all the way back to your car. There are (port a pottys) but bring toilet paper just in case. There are no showers so I suggest a gallon of water in your car to rinse with. Definitely a do not miss for the visiting guests. Don't forget sunscreen! They offer buckets to help clean up, so if you see trash, remove it. As for shelling it's the best I've ever seen for a beach lately, and I've lived here for 28 years!

Went around 2pm on a Saturday in February, very crowded. Parking is through smartphone and $5/hour. Coming from Sarasota county I wasn’t impressed. As there were no recent major storms, there wasn’t much in unique shells to find. However it’s a beautiful little lighthouse.

So parking is 5 bucks per hour, they do check this regularly. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, they were running plates. Get there early for shells. I would plan on a day if checking out the local scene, which currently is still during construction due to Ivan. But worth the drive, it is a beautiful beach.
