This island has the nicest beaches only accessible by boat so no crowds. Dog can run free.

My stay at Cayo Costa State Park in Florida was nothing short of magical. Camping in one of their cozy cabins provided a perfect blend of comfort and nature. The beach, hands down the prettiest I've ever seen, offered pristine shores and breathtaking views. A true haven for those seeking a tranquil getaway surrounded by the unparalleled beauty of Florida's coast. Cayo Costa State Park is a gem for nature lovers and beach enthusiasts alike.

Beautiful beaches, trails, wildlife...you can tent camp or sleep in a rustic cabin. There's no air and minimal power. Don't forget bug spray and flashlights. Be sure to chat with the Camp Host Mary, who's there from Nov thru Apr.

My favorite State Park ! We camped two nights there in February 2022 ! Had a great time fishing, beach combing , exploring the island and bike riding ! Can't wait for the campground to reopen !!!

Miles of beautiful beaches and incredible shells. There is a shuttle to take you directly to the beach, but it's less than a mile away. Great place to anchor.

No electric. No hot water. Little shade. Lots of bugs. Camping on the island is for folks who are willing to handle some discomfort in order to enjoy a beautiful beach and wonderful sunsets. I look forward to camping there again.

We love this island. Secluded, beautiful, tons of shells, what’s not to love!?!?
We take a boat out here and go shelling. We are never disappointed!

This is my second favorite place behind Little Gasparilla Island. Both are must see places! Cayo Costa has wonderful petrified trees, warm waters even in winter, dog friendly, picnics are a must!

Go to place to get away from Tourists and Snowbirds! Beach & water pristine & plenty of privacy for boaters to pick & choose their spot on the Gulf beach.

Beautiful park! Too big of a trip for just one night. We stayed 2 and still didn't get to see most of the park. The park tram schedule could use improvement. They pick you up too early for the boat so you waste a lot of time just waiting. Bikes are a must of you want to cover any ground. Great rental prices but they don't allow campers to keep them overnight which is really unfortunate. The camp grounds is a 20 minute walk from the camp store so come with everything you need. No rats on our visit. Great shelling on the beaches. Sites are gorgeous all though some don't have any shade.

Special place in Florida to hang out everybody I ever met out here was so nice. This is the way Florida supposed to be.

It was a hot trek but we'll worth it. Once on the ferry it was lovely. Wear plenty of sunblock and have water for the trip to the island.
The beach is great and we often felt like we had it to ourselves during the week. It was beautiful and breezy. Bring some sort of shade and plenty of sunblock.
We stayed in a cabin. We were pretty prepared but we're worried about the no electricity thing. It ended up not being a problem. I went and read a book one day while I charged my phone near the store. Everyone was so helpful and friendly.
We brought camp stoves and simple meals and it worked out. We went to get ice for our coolers every morning.
Be prepared for bugs! Mosquitoes, midges (no-see-ems) and possibly chiggers. The midges don't seem to care if you have bugs pray on or not.
We wished the private showers didn't pool water so much. It would have been nice to have a platform or something. Otherwise, great for such a rustic experience.
This tour is a must!! The guide was funny the hostess during the tastings was funny and it was a lovely experience. The rum was also very good. We bought a few to take home. Will return and highly recommend.

Nice outside / open air tiki hut vibe. We got there late so things were pretty much wrapped up. But we ordered a drink and caught the last few songs from the band.
Good selection of rum cocktails, and friendly staff. The only knock against them is the bugs... they are right next to a pond and the bugs / No See Ums were bad. I HATE those damn things.

FUN little afternoon activity. We were unaware we had to make.a reservation. They were accomdating and squeezed us onto the tour. They do them on the hour. Nathan was very informative and was able to answer ALL questions our curious crowd had. Crazy to think they consume over 20 tons of sugar in there operations, but have less sugar content then a lot of the name brands were used to. They had two signature cocktails on special the Mango Arnold Palmer and the Vanilla Bean Sunrise. They both were tasty, I'm not a big tea fan so Sunrise was my favorite. Want to order a wicked punch but it was not available, but did get a sample during the tour. YUM!! Sampling was fun, with the amount of people on the tour it did get a little hot and stuffy in the gift shop at the end, but we made it. Love that they utilize LOCAL ingredients to make their RUM (they have a Vodka too). Take the time and check this operation out, you will not be disappointed.

It’s a great place to go and visit take the tour along with the free tasting. If you have people come visit make sure you take them here. It’s fun and the staff is fun and very knowledgeable !!

Such a great place! We did not take a tour but did sampling. They have an amazing line of rum. Hands down much better than mass produced rum! The staff is phenomenal! We are only here for this week and have made 2 visits here so far!
Darrell Hall — Google review
We toured twice, once alone and once with visiting friends from up north. It is really fun. The tour is about 30 minutes and informative. Samples are great. We walked out with several purchased bottles and we don't really drink rum a lot. It is a fun staff and one of the few (maybe only?) woman-owned distilleries in FLA. This is definitely worth a visit. If you can come on Friday or Saturday later in the day, the tiki bar is open with live music (one guitar player so the noise isn't overwhelming). We would definitely do this again when time allows.

Was hoping to come in for a tour while vacationing, but time flew by and we only were able to visit on an off day. Did a tasting of 4. The vanilla, keylime, pineapple, and mango. All were very smooth. Favorite ended up being the mango so I got a bottle of that one. Hoping the product line will make its way to Michigan to make it quick accessibility.

This place is awesome. Great drinks, owner and employees are great people. Went there after a spring training game. They had food trucks (food was pretty good) and bands playing for bike night. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Distillery tour was very informative and fun! Rums were very tasty! Coconut was my favorite but I tasted several and they were all awesome. Tour included a small cocktail which was delicious. Wish I could purchase in Maryland but will ask locally when ordering a drink.

A wonderful experience for a rainy day in Cape Coral. Staff was amazing, knowledgeable and funny. Tastings were available tried several, all would be great for mixed drinks.

Had an amazing time at Wicked Dolphin on a beautiful Saturday. The tour was educational, entertaining, and perfectly timed. The staff was friendly and helpful and drinks were amazing. I’ll definitely be back and bringing friends and family.
Nedal Nabhan — Google review
Went with out of town friends to tour the distillery. We were told to go into retail lobby to await our tour to be called. When we entered a woman immediately welcomed us and said “before the tour starts you should sample the rum.” There was a handwritten sign with 3 options for a rum drink. We all picked the same one which was mixed up in a plastic cup. Then the woman said that will be $25. WHAT? We had NO idea that there would be a cost. I didn’t see any sign indicating price. There were handwritten signs all over the retail area. It left a sour taste in our mouth so to speak.
We went on the tour which was great and informative.

We found this event online in Eventbrite and decided to come. They give us a tour of how they make their own rum. Skyler, which was our guide, explained in detail how the process was. In the meantime, Jane brought us some rum examples, and then, at the end, we were able to test every single rum. We ended up buying some bottles and a punch, which is a little cocktail with coconut rum and cranberry. It's definitely worth coming out and having some fun.
Oscar Manosalva — Google review
This is a great place for an interesting visit, and also from which to purchase rum whether or not you are able to visit their distillery. Their tours are interesting and the rum is very high quality. They have won over 50 awards, several against international competition. Although all rum is made from sugar, all the sugar has been removed by the time the distilling is complete. Any sugar you taste in rum is from things that are added to it, such as coconut, mango, etc. They offer several of these fruity rums as well as some more complex and interesting spirits, such as coffee-infused or spiced rum. Their oak barrel aged 10-year-old rum has many of the characteristics of a fine whiskey and works well as a substitute for bourbon in your favorite cocktail. They also have a great recipe book for sale including interesting cocktail combinations and food. Their rums have all natural ingredients and significantly less sugar content than rums you might be familiar with from the "big boys" in the business. If you tour, you'll enjoy the tasting at the end, usually led by Jen, the tasting room manager. She makes some great suggestions for ways to drink Wicked Dolphin rum, as well as running commentary that will keep you amused. You're sure to enjoy some great rum, and a fun time if you can visit.
Douglas Hoffman — Google review
My husband and I went to the wicked dolphin distillery today. We did a tour which was very nice and everything was explained very well in the making of the various rum flavors along with. The bitters you can purchase separately. The staff was very nice and welcoming, and the ability to sample the various products was nice. They have a patio out front that allows you to get a drink and sit while you’re waiting for your tour to begin. I would highly recommend a visit.
The Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, Florida, span 21 acres and showcase the former residences of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. This historical attraction offers insights into the lives of wealthy individuals in the early 20th century. Visitors can explore the research lab, botanical gardens, and a museum that houses intriguing artifacts related to these famous figures and their families.
We were trying to find something to do before we headed to the FT Myers airport for a late flight today and I found this historic site on Google Maps. The Thomas Edison and Henry Ford winter home museum was the PERFECT last day for our trip to Florida! CHET WAS OUR GUIDE, he was super knowledgeable and very informative. The total tour took about 75 minutes but it was a beautiful day and we moved from place to place so he kept our attention! For a moment we dreamt away and realized we were standing in the same spots as some of the all time greatest inventors in the world and that was fantastic!! The fact that Thomas Edison and Henry Ford were best friends was the best of all the fun facts! As a BIG bonus the trees are absolutely breathtaking! Pack a lunch and just sit in the gardens and take it all in! Completely unforgettable and highly recommendable!!

I went to Edison and Ford Winter Estates during a trip to Fort Myers. I took a guided tour which was approximately $30. Our tour guide who called himself an historian, provided a lot of good insights regarding the lives of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford and kept us engaged during the entire tour. It was approximately 100 degrees outside that day but he managed to keep us in the shades most of the tour. You're not allowed to go inside the homes but you can peek through the doors/windows. After the tours which was approximately an hour and a half, I went back inside the museum to visit some of the exhibits of Edison and Ford. I also visited the grounds which are well maintained and beautiful. I could have spent a whole day there.

I learned so much. It was like a trip back in time. The grounds, lab, and museum are well worth a visit. Just check the weather first. If there is thunder they close the grounds. The museum with all of the phonographs and Model Ts are still open during thunderstorms though. They will stamp your receipt so you can come back.

Gorgeous grounds .. fascinating friendship between Edison & Ford ..💡 🚗 Thoroughly enjoyed walking through the gardens & seeing inside the houses. Loved how we were able to take a self guided tour & see inside the homes. The houses 🏘 have 1/2 opened doors to allow for a wonderful view of the various areas of the inside of the homes. The gardens, houses, workshop & museums are meticulously kept. A very enjoyable experience & we learned a lot! Highly recommend!

Well worth the stop. It's always fun to visit places where wealthy industrialists from the 19th century vacationed. Both men were true pioneers from 1880s through their deaths in the 1930's and 1940's .
Take your time use the app and do a self guided tour. It really well done.

Absolutely wonderful. It's like taking a walk through history. I would like to extend special thanks to one of the volunteers, named Steve. He seems very passionate about his job and made our tour that much more special (it was my first time in the U.S.). Highly recommended. Beautiful place. Greetings from Hungary!

Came here on the first day that they celebrated their holiday nights special event. Booked the guided tour and our tour guide did a fantastic job explaining all the information. It’s a very expansive estate at the same time the guide didn’t waste any time and we were able to finish the tour after an hour without issues.
It is absolutely beautifully decorated and they aren’t normally open this late but it’s beautiful to see all the holiday lights being set up. It’s quite a unique experience.
They also had some food vendors which we partook in a few treats since it was getting late and it was a replacement for dinner. Recommend buying guided tour tickets early as they do sell out pretty quickly.

I had a wonderful experience at this museum, which featured both outdoor and indoor exhibitions. Additionally, they offer two engaging activities for people of all ages, making it a delightful experience. The workers were extremely friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment. If you find yourself in Fort Myers, I highly recommend visiting this museum!

Went today with my wife. Had Bailey as our tour guide. We loved the experience. We got to see where Thomas Edison and Henry Ford spend summer months. Homes were amazing and the grounds were well maintained. The cost of the tour goes to property maintenance as we did see some lingering damage from Hurricane Ian. We have lived here three years and I am so glad we finally went. Perfect for locals and visitors to see a little piece of history right here in Ft Myers.

The Edison & Ford Winter Estates is a must see when near the Fort Meyers, FL area. It is truly an amazing iconic walk through the past. Not only the history but the museums with their stories. And all set on breathtaking views of waters and lovely gardens. The history of great people of the era that visited or stayed there is amazing to read about.

A great place to visit if you're in the Ft Myers area. We got a cool little " private" tour because only 4 of us had paid for the guided tour. Scott was so knowledgeable about every aspect of Edison's history. He was very impressive. There is a museum with Ford's cars and some of Edison's inventions. Across the road are their estates which sit on beautiful waterfront grounds. We learned a little about Ford, but the majority of the tour focused on Edison. There is a cute gift shop at the end of the tour.

On a recent first visit to Ft. Myers, I decided to check out this amazing place on the river. I never knew that Henry Ford and Thomas Edison were next door neighbors in their winter homes! Both men are legendary American icons. The grounds of the estate are gorgeous. Throughout the tour there were volunteers to explain and demonstrate things. I particularly liked Edison's office and home. They have a fantastic museum with an original model T. There is ample parking and the admission fee was reasonable. This is a must see!
Michael C. Delapena — Google review
Well maintained residency, location is near the water with great view. The parking is free. If you buy tickets online, you need to exchange them to waist bands at ticket office first. It is better to visit the museum first because it has so many first hand real things to see and read. Also the garden and the park adjacent to the ticket office are great, many nursery items for sale. Spent about 2.5 hrs today but could do more especially at the museum.

Fun experience with the family! Please note that if you are going on a reciprocal membership please be sure all reciprocal members names are on cards or you need to pay for those not named.
Gardens were well maintained with really interesting specimens. I had no idea the extent that Edison and his assistants experimented with plants.
Plan for the weather as most of the exhibits are outside. Gardens close in thunder alerts. You cannot walk through houses, but they have opened all the doorways to see in many of the rooms. Highlight of the gardens is the self guided audio tour. Short, entertaining, informational and well done!
Museum is quite interesting and air conditioned :)

A great place to take a 3-hour break. They have guided tours and self-guided tours. The self-guided tours have follow-along references using your cell phone. Great for keeping your own pace.
There were just as many children excited to see the Winter Estates as the adults.
A few of my favorite highlights are in the images of the laboratory, the Ford, and the pier.
At the end of your visit, cool down in the museum. And before you go, there is a seating area with some refreshing drinks in the shade.
So neat to see what the inventing minds of our country had for their everyday use.

Don’t let the price which may seem high shy you away from this gem of a destination in Fort Myers. There are plenty of places to stop and admire the view and the beautiful grounds without a lot of noise or heavy people traffic. I spent 30 minutes on a bench under coconut trees just listening to birds and the waves of the river splashing against the shore. The app is full of great facts and content to make the self tour fully immersive. The staff were all so pleasant and helpful.

If you're in Fort Myers, you've gotta check out Edison and Ford's winter estates—it's a real gem. First thing you'll see is this massive Banyan tree at the entrance that's just mind-blowing. Seriously, it's like nature's welcome hug.
Inside, there's this mix of cool old buildings, beautiful gardens, a research lab, and a museum dedicated to Edison and Ford. It's not just history; it's like stepping into their world.
Oh, and don't miss the on-site store – they've got some really unique stuff. Plus, You can see the native plants of Florida from the garden next to the on-site-store.
Whether you're into history or just want a chill day surrounded by good vibes, these estates are a winner. It's not your average tourist spot; it's like a little escape into the past with a touch of nature. Don't miss out! 👍

Very interesting exhibits, thought I knew quite a bit about Edison, but a lot of this was new. Interesting insights into his life and friends.
The grounds were very nice as well, nicely maintained and interesting plantings.

I was in town for another event but spent the rest of the day here touring the grounds and museum.
I absolutely enjoyed my visit. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a mini presentation on how to work the old phonograph devices that I enjoyed listening to.
There's lots of small little walking trails on the grounds including one by the river that is very nice. You can't get lost and there are benches to sit everywhere.
I enjoyed using the app to tell me about certain spots.
I'm not much of a plant person but they have plants everywhere here. Some very pretty.
I am a history nerd and this is a great place if you like history. I learned a lot.
Jennifer Nanek — Google review
If this is the type of history you enjoy, you'll probably like touring the grounds and poking your head into the homes, Edison's study, and the museum. The homes are underwhelming in my mind; period furniture that you'll see at just about any historical home/building of roughly the same era. That being said, it isn't totally my thing, so you might notice interesting differences. The grounds are pretty with a variety of plant life and a nice walk along the river. The museum is brief, but once again, interesting if this is your type of history. The laboratory adjacent to the museum was the not intriguing thing for me.

A must-see attraction when in the Fort Myers area. Took the guided tour and it was a great experience. Started with a 15-minute intro to Edison, Ford, and the history. The group (~12 persons) walked around with the guide and we stopped regularly to get more info about the buildings, plants and trees, history, etc.

We've lived in Fort Myers for a few years, yet this was the first time we were willing to dish out $30 to visit this place. We picked a good time, because the place is very beautiful when covered in Christmas lights. The Christmas trees decorated by local classrooms were particularly nice. The history and exhibits at the estate were interesting, but I'm not convinced worth the $30 entrance fee by themselves.

Wonderful visit. The guided tour is recommended if you want to ask questions or learn more in depth knowledge if the premises and their occupants. Didn't realize that the Edisons and Fords were good friends. Great gift shop with a number of books to choose from, great kids toys and handmade art pieces.

We went for Holiday Nights and loved it! They did such an amazing job decorating for the holidays. We loved learning about the estates and the families who lived there. There were plenty of docents around to answer questions and they were very knowledgeable. The interpretive signs were also very helpful. We had a laugh over the house rules. "Don't kill the black snakes under the porch. They are there for a reason!" And "Don't tell us about Palm Beach. We don't care." There were many photo ops throughout the estates. The gift shops had really nice things from snacks to books to Christmas ornaments.

We came on a Saturday evening for the Holiday Nights light show. It was such a cool experience. The houses had the top glass doors open. You could look into the rooms but could not enter. The gift shop was also open, and there were plants for purchase. The only thing we could not do was the museum as it had closed a couple hrs before we arrived. This is a family event, so bring the kids. The bathrooms were clean. There was music playing as well as snacks and drinks available for purchase. The Banyan trees are an amazing sight to see. The parking does fill up, but there is plenty of overflow parking available. I recommend to anyone looking to get into the holiday spirit.
The Hotel Indigo Ft Myers Dtwn River District, an IHG Hotel, provides a laid-back atmosphere with a rooftop gym and outdoor pool for relaxation. In the Fort Myers River District, The Firestone offers enjoyable views of the bay over four levels, including options to drink at their Sky Bar or Martini Bar. This hotel is also significant as it is where two individuals who met online during the COVID-19 pandemic had their first date and became engaged almost two years later.
Hotel Indigo is where my now fiance and I met almost 2 years ago on our first date. We met online when Covid first started and he convinced me to come from my home in Hollywood Florida to have dinner with him. It's been an amazing experience from the moment we met. He proposed to me right before Thanksgiving 2021. Now we are looking to have a small wedding and I would love for us to exchange vows in front of our loved ones there.

Bottom line: you want to stay here.
Great location, competitive rates. Convenient to restaurants, nightlife and attractions as well as being family-friendly and with quiet rooms. Very safe (courthouses on 3 sides). If you like fun, drinks or bingo, definitely settle in before Thursday night for the hotel restaurant-bar. No spoilers.
Lovely, clean, modern rooms set amongst updated-where-needed historic architecture. Incredibly friendly staff, prompt housekeeping, cozy bed and linens.
In ~3 decades, this 3-night stay was easily one of my best hotel experiences. Will be back.

Under renovation. Pool was closed fitness center etc. Poor customer service. Room was never cleaned. Elevator smells like smoke. There’s a drag queen night on Thursday nights that gets super loud and was unable to sleep. No vale parking with all the bars and restaurants parking is an overall challenge. I did not enjoy my stay at all. I hope my company books me else where when I return.

Good location, didn’t catch her name, but one of the front desk girls was great. Super friendly, gave great recommendations. The rest of the front desk had no personality.
We stayed there as part of a wedding block. They’re under renovation, and there was no notice given that the pool and bars were closed (something we were excited about). When alerting the front desk to our disappointment, the response was ‘Oh, sorry’. For a few dollars more a night, we could have stayed at the brand new hotel downtown.
The rooms were a outdated, but clean. The air conditioning unit sucked, and there was no mini fridge in the room. Wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here.

Terrific hotel, Terrific staff! I stayed here for the Fourth of July. The room was perfect, very clean and and a decent size. The view was excellent ( I booked the 6th floor balcony). You are well within walking distance to many restaurants and bars and very close to many attractions. I would definitely recommend Hotel Indigo in downtown Fort Myers!

Loved the place. The front help are sweet and very helpful. Our room view was facing the city which was a nice view. The rooms are large and smelled Hella clean. Hottest running water possible and fairly quiet for it being downtown. Reason for four stars is due to the renovations being done leaving certain areas unattainable. Regardless, we would still recommend people to this hotel.

The unit is undergoing massive renovation but........the staff here is incredibly awesome! By far the friendliest and most helpful staff I've ever had at a hotel. The rooms are super spacious comfortable beds and a view of downtown. The rate was discounted because of renovations. Overall the experience was fantastic.

The location is the only decent part of this hotel.
The AC unit is incredibly loud, the TV is tiny, there is no mini refrigerator, the shower water smells, baseboards are filthy, room service is bizarre at best, the windows don’t open/nor is there a balcony in all but 4 rooms, the furniture is as cheap as it comes and don’t forget anything because the front desk lacks basic toiletries. The lobby bar is depressing and I’ve yet to see the rooftop bar open.
Oh and there’s tons of tacky wall paper and curtains that desperately need to be washed.
Laken Sisko — Google review
Hotel is under pretty major remodel. And when they are finished it will probably be a great place but for this stay our room was VERY small, & unfinished, . Tile in bathroom was dirty & mold in the shower. Definitely not a room worth $200 a night. We have stayed in much nicer places for a lot less money.
It is in a good location for the downtown, if that's what you are looking for.

We live in the neighboring County and come to Fort Myers at least once a month, first time at this hotel. It was a large room very clean and nice. The staff were friendly informative and happy to help. The hotel has a Rooftop Bar, pool and a nice workout area. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and other downtown events. Had a great stay for the money and location. Plan on doing it again.
Tim Lloyd — Google review
The hotel is located in Historic Downtown Fort Myers. Which is about 10 minutes from Page Field and 20-25 minutes from the Fort Myers International. The beaches and Sanibel are 20 minutes to the west.
The hotel had a boutique feel to it with remodeled rooms in a historic building. The hotel was undergoing some major renovations during my stay so the pool and fitness center were closed. Also, the rooftop bar and restaurant were closed. However, just outside the hotel there are tons of local small restaurants serving all meals.
The staff was very kind and even let me use their microwave since there isn’t one in the room. The room was very clean and modern as was the bathroom. The bed was really soft as were the linens. The room has satellite TV and fast internet for streaming. The room however does not have a fridge and as mentioned above, no microwave. The location is unbeatable with many shops, restaurants, and the marina within a short walk.

This island park offers activities such as fishing, swimming & snorkeling plus an 1890 lighthouse.
Highly recommend! We went to the beach yesterday (May 14, 2022) and it was P.E.R.F.E.C.T. Only $3 to park and plenty of parking spaces when we arrived at 11:30am. Gorgeous sand, beautiful shells, refreshing water. Clear...you can see to the bottom! Very friendly people there too. Don't listen to the poor reviews! We are locals and this was our first time there. Best beach we have been on since living here (30 years between the two of us).

It's a nice beach. White sand, lots of shells, but no parking with a lot of people. If you are looking for something more secluded, pull off on a side road. This is where you'll find a secluded beach. There is a rip current here so be aware. Nice restroom facilities, but there is always a line. Walkable distance from food. South Beach Bar is a 6 minute walk.

The Bocca Grande Island is very beautiful. Since this is a private island the cost for the entry is $6. But the beaches which I went to including state park with a beautiful beach( crystal clear greenish water, very calm) was free. Not all beach accesses have showers or restrooms. The Gasparilla Island State park has both and it’s free. There is not much to sightsee on the island, mostly residential areas and a few restaurants, which were closed. Some hotels probably offer food, but not many. If you plan to spend time on the beach then this is definitely the place.

Cool day but came over from Atlantic Coast for shell hunting. Boca Grande did not disappoint. Town was great for a quick lunch too. Only problem (especially north end of island) locals do not give access to beach. Thank goodness for this state park with many areas. Loved that bicycles and electric carts were tge preferred way to meander around. Lovely sunset too.

Most beautiful beach I have ever seen in Florida! Lives her 22 years and I had yet to find a beach with such clear beautiful water. Swimming manatees 3 ft away! Shells and beautiful sand.$ 3.00 parking highly recommend!

Gasparilla Island is a wonderful place to hang out with friends and family. Safe with ample parking. Plenty of places to shop, eat, sit and dream about a nice beach life. There is often traffic jams coming and going.

Loved this spot. Worth the drive! $6 toll road to get there. $3 to enter. Beach wasn't too crowded. White sand and blue water. Outdoor shower to rinse off. Two restrooms. Great for families, fishing, snorkeling... can't wait to go back.
Mandy Bratton — Google review
One of the best beaches on the barrier islands. Gorgeous turquoise waters, white clean sand and never too crowded. Get there early as parking in the State park is very limited.

This beach is BEAUTIFUL!! We went on a Wednesday so it was not packed at all. It was $6 to get across the bridge onto the island and $3 to park which was cheap. The water was refreshing and esthetically pleasing. Coming from Massachusetts you don't see water and sand like this so it was a real treat. I would definitely recommend!!
Cindy Palumbo — Google review
It doesn't get much more beautiful than Boca Grande. The beach near the southern tip of the island is quiet and peaceful. Shells are abundant. The old railway bridge ruins make for a cool backdrop. It's not too far of a walk to the public restrooms which are clean and well maintained.
Stacy D — Google review
Very nice and secluded beach. We had fun. The water had a lot of algae and a strong current. I wouldn't recommend for inexperienced swimmers. The waves were nice. It was very empty when we went. Lots of sea shells on the sand.
Roman Rzadkosz — Google review
Nice place for a walk on the beach. It’s a shorter beach than siesta key. From the beach into the water place have a drop off edge. Careful of the rip tides. I wouldn’t take kids swimming here.
They do catch sharks off this beach.

beautiful beach with white sand and clear water. also tons of sea shells and a beautiful lighthouse. In my opinion best beach north of the keys

Awesome! Beautiful water, clean beach, blue skies. Lots of boats to watch, lots of people to watch but not crowded. Wonderful "old school" beach. Love it. The Rangers there are the best and will assist in anyway they can. Great crew. A couple bucks to park and literally feet from the beach. Wonderful place.

Beautiful, upscale old Florida vibe. Charming homes and businesses. Great beaches. 🌴

Very nice beach located at the southern tip of Boca Grande. Great views of the Gulf, Cayo Costa (an island across the channel) and the jetty. There is a lighthouse and museum, with restrooms as well. Currents can sometimes be fast and tricky, so don’t venture out to far.
Brian W. — Google review
I love the beach it's not crowded, for those who like fishing, it's a good place too next to the beach.
Probably one of the best uncrowded and clear water beaches in southwest Florida. Great to soak in the sea salt water and watch the beautiful boats go by.
Catherine Bill — Google review
anyone who goes here needs to know that it is dangerous to enter the water anywhere near the pass on the intercoastal side. However the gulf side beaches are some of the nicest clearest waters around and the is no dropoff to worry about. Just ensure when you go they are in a "red tide" event, this will ruin your trip. If it is then just head east to the atlantic coast and enjoy a favorite Jupitor beach where you can enjoy the reef up close from the beach.
Robert wells — Google review
What a heavenly beach. Absolutely beautiful. Nice clean bathrooms are available. Not very crowded. I tried fishing here and had an absolutely great time. I caught lots of small fish and I cought my first pompano (and it was a keeper) very exciting.
Brandon Cornell — Google review
Not a good beach for families with little ones. There’s a big drop off, broken shells are abundant and the day we went anyways, the sea was rough.
We did see fish even in the little ways we went in. However, water wasn’t as clear as I was expecting from all the hype we heard about this area. (Went mid October)
No manatees or any other wildlife.
Church was closed, lighthouse museum was open, but didn’t go in as we were all in our bathing suits.
Did find 2 Sharks teeth without digging around & son’s picked up some larger whole shells.
Entry fee and small parking fee.
This time of year, all senior citizens at the beach except for us.
Lots of people fishing from the beach however didn’t see anyone catch anything.

6/12/2023 UPDATE:
Since Ian happened last summer, this beach has lost a lot of sand. The beach is much narrower and the drop off at the front isn't as deep but now the water level is a bit deeper than it was las summer. My sone is now turning 4 in August and the water was a bit deeper on him. It's still nice and I got to see a manatee again this year and that was so exciting !!
Original:
This beach is pretty quiet and just relaxing! We were a little bit north of where the pinned Boca Grande Pass spot is (aroung the 5th street entrance) but I just want to review the beach as I saw some say it wasn't kid friendly 😁
it's a narrow but nice. The sand is a bit shelly but bareable being barefoot. The current isn't bad at all and the waves come in at an angle. I have a almost 3 year old and he loved the fact he could walk out probably 30 feet from the shore and still stand on his own (its knee to hip deep about 50 feet out I would guess). The waves weren't too bad and he did really well for his first ocean trip! There is a slight drop (maybe a foot or less) at the very beginning and the shelly sand ends at the sea kelp line (you can see it in the photos). Just on the other side there was just pure soft sand. I even saw a manatee and was so happy I got to see one 😁😁
Thanks for reading my review and hope you have a great beach day!

There’s a $6 bridge toll. Card or cash. It doesn’t read the transponder. It’s a private bridge.
Lovely and quiet beaches. A little narrow. Not many washrooms just portaloos. Perhaps it’s recovering from the hurricane. It looks like a wealthy island though.
Sim B — Google review
One my favorite beaches! It’s beautiful and clean! There are manatees that swim around this area so be on the lookout! I’ve heard manatees are friendly though. Unfortunately there aren’t any wash station around. There are portable potties.
Before getting to the island there is a $6 toll but we’ll worth the trip!

I love love this beach! We love coming in the evening! When we came, literally no one there. Had the whole beach to ourselves. You do have to pay a toll fee of $6 & $3 for park fee. Worth it though! The water was super clear! Brought our snorkeling masks & saw a whole bunch of fishes, starfish, shells! A must bring - goggles if you want to explore. The sand is white & soft! There's so much seashells. Saw big lizards in the marshes, minding their own business. Saved for future visits.

We are visiting and discovered this place. What an awesome spot to hang out on the beach and watch the sunset! Beautiful scenery everywhere from the amazing beach to the super nice houses. I would definitely come here again!
Manatee Park is a waterfront recreational area that offers visitors the chance to enjoy various activities while being close to nature. It features scenic trails, an amphitheater for performances, and kayak rentals for those who want to explore the waterways. One of its main attractions is the opportunity to observe Florida's gentle giants, the manatees, in their natural habitat from November to March.
first we walked around the property saw a couple manatees but the watercolor is very dark so you only saw like a little nose about coming out of the water. Then we rented kayaks for the 2 hour kayaking trip on our own They give you a map and it's pretty simple to find the manatees they tell you where they're hanging out that day. Well worth the trip we had a great time 15 to 20 manatees They came right up to our kayaks You just float around in the bay area about a mile down river. It was a little windy so the paddle back took a good hour of paddling non-stop.
Kimberly Hartman — Google review
The information boards about the manatees were very Informative. Plenty of seating and shade for those taking their time along the walk. Very much enjoyed the music from the lady playing the hand pans in the pavilion.
Mike Bersuder — Google review
What a lovely park. The workers are helpful and friendly. I like coming here because they have rentals for my family and friends to join in on the fun! They also have clean bathrooms that are fully stocked.
You're able to go either up the river or out towards the bay for different experiences. The houses around there are nice to look at and up river there's a farm with cows! I frequent often.
Raysa Rodriguez — Google review
The park is very small and picturesque, we went at around 9 in the morning and we saw many manatees poking their heads out and tails. I would recommend going there at opening time to see the manatees as they like it a little bit cooler and will surface more of their body at the temperature. The boardwalk was gorgeous, and very education for the little ones. They have bathrooms, playgrounds, and a butterfly garden. They also have kayaks you can rent and go around the mangrove forest being up close with the manatees. The parking was also very cheap with it being only 2/hr, and the place was definitely worth the time!
Ragu N — Google review
It is a beautiful area to paddle around. They have kayaks for rent, and you can bring your own and launch there. The parking was $5. We saw 3 manatees while we were paddling around in the early afternoon.
T R — Google review
This was a surprise! We were looking for covered playgrounds to burn some energy while staying out of the sun.
Before we even made it to the playground we took a walk through the mangroves, saw some manatees, hung out by the water, played on the boardwalk, and hung out with a (fake) alligator.
Parking is a reasonable $2/hr. Parking is plentiful for the size of the park. There is a gift shop with snacks and reasonably clean restrooms.
There are lots of walking trails, all gentle and easy. The highlight of the visit was the walk along the water, which had covered awnings every 50 yards or so which provided VERY comfortable manatee viewing areas on a hot 90F day. The water channel appears to be a power-plant cooling discharge...my guess is that manatees like the warmer water. I was chasing a 3 year old so I didn't have much time to learn (but the opportunity is there with lots of signage).
We got to see a few manatees without a lot of waiting. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip...we're big animal people. What toddler parent isn't?
There are boardwalks over the water through the mangroves that lead to a kayak launch area (it would be LOTS of fun to rent a kayak here...maybe when the kid is a little older), another manatee viewing area, and other locations within the park.
The playgrounds are on the smaller side and better for kids under 4 probably.
This was a great visit and will be a future stop. If you bring lunch, this could be a two hour visit. More if you rent a Kayak.
Dan K — Google review
Great place to learn a thing or two about Floridas wildlife, kayak on the orange river, and, if it's winter time and the water is below 68°F, you probably will see manatees!!! It's very inexpensive to rent a kayak, the facilities are clean and functional, and the employees are kind and helpful. You really can't get lost and it's very safe! They also have a little gift shop with snacks and such. I definitely recommend! Have fun 😊
Mimi — Google review
I visited the manatee park with high hopes of seeing these gentle giants, but unfortunately, there were none in sight. The park's size was smaller than expected, and the overall experience left me disappointed. Considering the absence of manatees, I doubt I'll be returning.
Sarah C — Google review
Great park! Parking was only $1 for an hour, and the kiosk closest to the gift shop accepts credit and debit cards. Plenty of spots to stop and view the manatees. We have visited the park in the past but were unable to spot any, but this trip we easily spotted many swimming around and coming up for air. There are some boardwalks and walking trails in the park to enjoy the area. Worth stopping by if you’re in the area!
Olivia Rimkie — Google review
We first went late in the day. We walked along the boardwalk & saw two manatees surface!! We went back the next day to rent kayaks. We rented for 2 hours & saw a ton of manatees! We saw several pods hanging out near the banks while we were out. Highly recommend going out in the kayaks (the tour sounds cool if you've got time!). The water there was very dark & murky, but we had no problems finding manatees. There were tons of them!!

What a nice park. I have been a lee county resident for 40 years and have never been to this park. I took my kids for a meet up with our homeschool group and it truly is a gem. We had fun looking for manatees and walking the small trail they have. We went and looked out over the water. We visited the small shop and got drinks. The kids played on the playgrounds and we walked around the entire park. I would recommend anyone visit this place. Definitely will be back. You pay for parking but it’s $5 for the entire day. You can also kayak, launch your own or rent one from the park.

I love this place! We used the public kayak launch, which isn’t too far a walk from the nearest car drop off point. It’s a cool mangrove area within the park, but this leads you out to the Orange River. They also offer kayak rentals here. We didn’t see any manatees, however we did see turtles, and lots of bird and fish. The current was not even noticeable as we headed east on the river but once we turned around a wind kicked up making the current pick up against us. Overall easy awesome paddle!

Awesome Park, we visited on 12/28/2023. There were a dozen or more manatee swimming that day do beautiful site to see. They also offered kayaking with the manatee, which looked really cool, but we had other things to do. I'd highly recommend seeing this if you're in the area.

This was our second time at the Manatee Park! It’s such a great place to enjoy watching the Manatee and their baby’s, pluss sharks, and other fish close up between January and March. They have an area with butterfly’s, a snack bar, inside area with tons on back ground information about the Manatee, they sell refreshing snow cones, they have a Gift shop and if you want to see Sea Turtles, snakes etc you can go down the street in overflow parking and get a ride to visit the Florida Aquarium buildings where they rescue sick turtles etc and see them up close as they get rehabilitation and later get released back into the ocean. We had a great time and it’s Free!
Timothy, Renee Moore — Google review
Nice smaller park right on a canal and a smaller river. A shorter trail will take you along the canal and to the river. Unfortunately the river was extremely warm (92F, 33C) here in March, so it is too warm for manatees. So no animal sightings at all. There are restrooms and a gift shop.
Thomas G — Google review
A beautiful park with a butterfly garden, walking paths, kayak launch, two small playgrounds (no swings), and lots of nature. We did not see any manatees as we were there during a time where they have typically left back to the ocean. There is a gift shop open until 5pm and public restrooms.
Ashley Goodwin — Google review
Cheap fun for all. Paid for parking. A very nice and clean park. The manatees were so neat to watch. The gift shop was reasonably priced. We did not kayak due to it being a very windy day. The paths within the park were clean, smooth, and easy to get around. The butterfly garden was beautiful.

Went with my family to check out Florida wildlife, wasn’t disappointed! lot’s of manatees were in the canal and we could see there noses, tails, and bellies popping out of the water. Cool trees and nature paths to walk around, cute little gift shop as well. Highly recommend it

a wonderful place to take the family and kids for a day trip, or if you’re new to swfl. the manatees are gentle creatures, and you’re able to rent kayaks to ride alongside them in the water. there are trails to follow in nature and a fun park to distract the kids for a while so parents can take a breather
Punta Gorda's Muscle Car City Museum is a car lover's dream come true, with over 200 muscle cars from the 50s to the 70s on display. There's also a gift shop and a retro diner, making this an ideal spot for a day of nostalgia.
Muscle Car City was amazing and worth the trip and the entry fee. I could have spent the entire day here viewing the incredible display of automotive history. If you are a General Motors fan, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Cadillac this is the place to visit. I was impressed by the inventory of cars and by the meticulous care and overall presentation. They have plenty of cars to view but also have signs, gas pumps and other items of automotive history. There was something new every time I looked closer. I intend on visiting again. The entry fee is reasonable and they offer an annual membership too. There is also a classic style diner on-site for breakfast and lunch. Make sure to talk a walk through the giftshop too, there's something for everyone!

The Peace River Wildlife Center is a refuge and rehabilitation center that offers educational tours to the public. It is located next to Charlotte Harbor, and specializes in preserving native wildlife by housing injured animals year round. The center also hosts regular events showcasing different animal species.
Let me start by saying the birds here are rescues and most likely would not survive in the wild. Donation requested to enter is $5 or $3 for children. Example of birds I saw were several types of owls, American eagle, red shouldered hawk, sandhill crane, vultures, and many more. There are bathrooms, trails and picnic areas adjacent to the center and a gift shop too.

I absolutely love this place! The birds are beautiful and cared for so well here. The volunteers show a passion for the animals and have so much knowledge to share. Each time I have been there I have had volunteers tell stories about the birds and more information about them. Only a half acre with lots of heart, and with plans for a new 3 ACRE space nearby!! They have many great species of birds and other wildlife being housed here. These people are very kind and willing to take the time to about their animals. Very passionate for their work. And on top of that, the enclosures themselves are fairly well maintained. Its not any kind of huge zoo and has the primary focus on birds, but its still nice to spend spme time to appreciate the wildlife of Florida. On top of that, this is a wonderful location, right on the river with a nice picnic area, a boat launch, small pier, playground, sandy beach. Just a great place for a picnic or day outside the house

What a fantastic way to end the year!
Our family trip to the Peace River Wildlife Center was nothing short of amazing, and it's all thanks to the incredible experience they offer.
A special shoutout to our guide, Michael, who was a treasure trove of knowledge and kindness. His passion for wildlife and the environment made our visit even more meaningful. I also enjoyed speaking with Michael about technology.
The Wildlife Center is home to an astounding variety of animals, each more fascinating than the last.
But the star of the show was undoubtedly the American Bald Eagle. Seeing such a beautiful and majestic creature up close was a humbling experience and easily the highlight of our visit.
I can't recommend the Peace River Wildlife Center enough to both visitors and locals. It's a gem that truly encapsulates the beauty and diversity of our natural world.
And the best part? There's no entry fee! They operate on recommended donations, making it accessible to everyone.
If you're looking for a memorable and educational experience, this is the place to be.
Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to connect with nature and support a fantastic cause!
And make sure you stop by the adjacent hotdog stand before you depart!

The changing terrain was very interesting and we learned a lot about the Florida eco system as we traveled through swampy areas, fields etc. Highly recommend this 90 minute green bus tour - we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Great place to go. Stay for lunch, the prices are decent and the food good. The tour was beyond our expectations, and the tour guide made it even better.

Always enjoy time spent at the Babcock Ranch. Guides are always friendly and informative. Always plenty of wildlife and nature to see. This is my 3rd time, I try to bring any friends or family that come to visit. They even have a small snack shack with plenty of options including gator bites to curb the appetite. The shack closes at 3 though so go early!

What a great experience!! Was fun for all ages in our group, and better than we expected. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and could answer all the questions that were asked. It was so fun to see the different animals, learn all about the history of the ranch and Florida. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed!!

We went on the eco tour and had more fun than we did on the tours in the everglades! Loved our guide, who was the manager, and we seen a lot of animals. Loved the deer that were fed by our guide, and the sensational 17 pigs that came running up as a group. We were very impressed with the tour and will definitely recommend it to others!

If you're looking for a quaint waterfront shopping complex with specialty shops and casual restaurants, Fishermen's Village in Punta Gorda is the place to go. There's also a marina and lodging onsite.
So many great shops to go to! if you’re looking for tourist clothes, hats, jewelry and more, you’re definitely going to find it here. only downside is that the restaurants typically have a long wait time and are often a bit expensive. Would recommend checking it out for sure. right on the water, lots of great boats and views.

We went for Thanksgiving dinner. Had reservations for 530 but didn't get seated for an hour.
Crazy busy. Service was great but food was really good. Mixed green salad, crab salad(yummy), green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy, turkey and prime rib! And for dessert there was cheesecake, chocolate cake, pumpkin pie and pecan pie. Everything was so delicious and it was all you can eat for $36 each person plus your beverage. You do have reservations. I have never been here and the view was to die for, overlooking the Harbor. I will definitely be back!

9pm on a Friday night almost everything closed. No live music... Hanging Shark still not back up... Disappointing we get out kids pic taken next to it every year for the last 10 years... Everything is very clean but has lost it charm... The new Dry Beach is nice... Not much going on.

Nice views and great photo ops. Tasty eateries- interesting shops, and all around good experience. We went to Harpoon Harry’s- (review separate from this one) and Brew House (same) as well as brought home sweets from the candy shop. Definitely a place to see if you are staying in this area- looking for souvenirs, etc!
Clean restrooms
Family oriented
Fun for date day (closes fairly early- but early dinner and a walk around the harbor or town is fun!).

Beautiful sunsets to enjoy at some of the really good restaurants there. Some shops are more pricey and high-end, and some are more reasonable with expected tourist apparel and souvenirs. Great place to take the kids for lunch or some ice cream, then walk around a little. They have cute little photo op places, too.

We always like coming here. Plenty of places to shop, several eateries to go to (there are a few more open now) and great views of the river/bay area. It gets busy in the fall and winter, of course so be prepared to have some wait times at the restaurants. They have really improved on the area since the original opening back in the day. Christmas lights are a great touch so kudos to the staff that put these up. The whole area is clean and well organized.

LOVE Fisherman's Village. Love to browse through the shops, never know what treasure you will find. Love the restaurant at the end of all the shops. I had the scallops basket and my honey had the grouper. As usual, the food was absolutely delicious. We got a table by the water. So fun to watch the boats come and go. Atmosphere so relaxed and staff was super nice and efficient at the restaurant. Would definitely recommend Fisherman's Village

As soon as we got there, we were offered a free tour of the place, and the driver was super friendly. The shops were all clean, the workers super friendly, and the scenery is beautiful! We also had coffee and breakfast sandwiches from the Cafe, and everything was great! They also have rooms above the shops, where you can stay, and while I didn't see them in person, the pictures of them look awesome. I definitely recommend visiting!!

Awesome place to walk around with cool shops and good restaurants. They even have assistants on golf carts willing to take you from one end to the other (remember, they accept tips!). If you want something it is probably there. The shops have all sorts of things like sandals, shoes, clothes, jewelry, bags, candy, ice cream, hats, souvenirs, you name it.

Visited The Pier at Fishermen's Village with friends. They have waterfront seating as well as a spacious indoor dining area and generous bar. Good food and service for reasonable prices.
In season, they have live music but you need to arrive early if you want a seat.

Little touristy, the pier at the end of the walk has good sushi. Some really great shops here as well. The oil and vinegar shop is top-notch, and the tea shop is a real winner. Parking can be an issue depending on time or day.

We were there for the Christmas lighting. It was an awesome sight. The wharf could use more restaurants. Some places had an hour wait time, others had you were on your own to find seating. The food was fried, I am not a fan of fried, but the view and activities made up for that.

This is a fun place to go. There are plenty places to eat with great restaurants and plenty of places to shop also. Bring your walk and shoes because it's plenty big. You can either be inside or outside your choice but there are plenty of places to go. If you time it right you leave and be able to enjoy a nice sunset.

The sports bar Restaurant half way down has fabulous burgers. They have gluten free buns if you go that way. They are actually tasty. Nice view of harbor. Every time I have been there they had a band or singer. Nice atmosphere with bartenders that are generally senior friendly. I say that because the younger people on our left and right arrived well after us but got served first and we had to go and flag someone down. Maybe because I had my USMC hat on. This has happened last two times on a Saturday. I go there to watch Penn State Football and the bartenders always want to change the channel on me. They must think because I am old they can just shove me aside. Oh well, nice place. Maybe next year.

Upscale shopping and dining area on the water. Very nice to spend a few hours shopping the tourist type shops and then enjoy food and drinks. I marked it down to 4 stars only because the shopping and restaurants are typical in this resort type atmosphere. I did not mark it down a star because it was not nice. I marked it down because it had nothing out of the unusual that would surprise and delight you. If in the area I suggest you check it out.

A Captivating Experience at an Amazing Hotel - Unforgettable Sunrise and Sunset Views
During our recent stay, my partner and I had the privilege of experiencing the awe-inspiring beauty of both sunrise and sunset at the captivating The Suites. From start to finish, this hotel provided us with an absolutely amazing stay, leaving us forever enchanted by the mesmerizing views of the sun painting the sky with its vibrant hues.
One of the most memorable aspects of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking sunrise offered by the hotel's prime location. Nestled along the coast, The Suites boasts a privileged position, allowing guests to witness nature's spectacle from the comfort of their own room. The moment we drew back the curtains and welcomed the first rays of the morning sun, we were overwhelmed with a sense of tranquility and gratitude. The horizon, adorned with shades of pink, orange, and gold, together with the gentle sound of crashing waves, created a blissful ambiance that set the tone for the perfect day ahead.
Equally astonishing were the hotel's sunset views, which were nothing short of magical. As the day drew to a close, we found ourselves at the hotel's rooftop terrace, overlooking a panorama that seemed straight out of a fairytale. Basking in the warm glow of the setting sun, we witnessed the sky transforming into a canvas of purples, blues, and fiery reds. The surrounding mountains and the vast expanse of the sea blended harmoniously, creating an indescribable moment that left us in complete awe.
Apart from the magnificent views, The Suites impressed us further with its exceptional service and attention to detail. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist in any way possible. The rooms were elegantly decorated, offering unmatched comfort and featuring large windows that maximized the view. The hotel's amenities were top-notch, with a well-appointed spa, exquisite dining venues, and a variety of activities geared towards relaxation and immersion in the natural surroundings.
We cannot fail to mention the hotel's commitment to sustainability. The Suites actively engages in eco-friendly practices, promoting the preservation of the surrounding environment. This dedication resonated with us and enhanced our overall experience, allowing us to truly appreciate the beauty of nature in its purest form.
Overall, our stay at The Suites was an enchanting experience that surpassed our expectations. The opportunities to witness both sunrise and sunset each day were a gift we'll forever cherish. If you are seeking a hotel that offers a truly magical blend of remarkable scenery, impeccable service, and a sense of connection with nature, look no further than The Suites. A stay here promises lasting memories and a heightened appreciation for the natural wonders that surround us.

Popular place so it is a little hard to find parking.
There are plenty of shops to find treasures, or just browse.

There is a bar in the center of the beach (no swimming) with live music .
It was a very pleasant day.

My husband & I had breakfast here last week for the first time.
The place was clean, but freezing! The light fixture above our booth was moving from the blast of air conditioning blowing on us & on our food. It cooled my pancakes down right away. My food was a good price at $6.99! I got 2 med pancakes, 2 sausage links, & 2 eggs too. Hubby got an omlette that was good, toast & hashbrowns that were not at all crispy, mostly white. We will try this place again, but be sure to sit in a better place there. Don't be in a hurry as though not too busy, it took a long time for the food to be cooked.

You also can go out for lunch or dinner, there are several Resturaunts on the water to eat! Captains table is one of the places we have dinner. Sarasota National Cemetery is a well-maintained military cemetery with beautiful displays of headstones decorated during Christmas time. The community shows their love and respect for those who have served by honoring them in various ways. Visitors can witness the amazing exhibits and appreciate the effort put into decorating each headstone to honor those who have passed on. It is a must-visit place for anyone in the area looking to pay their respects to fallen heroes.
This National Cemetery has the most amazing volunteers. I have had problems with local florists not confirming delivery to my brothers grave site. Florists will not provide photo of arrangement and have delivered to the wrong plot on occasion. The cemetery is filled with kind volunteers who have sent me photo confirmation of delivery. My brother is buried in Florida and I’m in RI so there is no other way to know whether flowers made it to his site. I’m so grateful for the cemetery volunteers, their compassion, and willingness to help families of the deceased. Such a blessing 🙏

The cemetery is beautiful and it was an honor to bury my parents there. The communications are lacking however. I was originally told it would take about seven days for plaque for the niche on columbarium. Then told up to sixty days. I was told I would be notified by email when it was done. Never received one. Had to drive there to see it. I called and asked about it. The woman had no idea and told me someone would call me back. That was a week ago. No call.

This is a beautiful well kept Cemetery. My grandmothers headstone was not up yet and she still had a reef for Christmas with her marker. It melted my heart all the wonderful people that brought and took their time to decorate the headstones for Christmas. I went to take her marker some flowers, it was a lovely surprise. I know they hold this event but I didn't expect it because her headstone was not up yet. I would suggest anyone in the area to go around and look at all the displays and the many beautiful ways the National Cemetery honors those who have served. Especially around Christmas time it is amazing to see how much love is put in by the local community gives to our loved ones that have passed on.
The Arcadia Opera House is a historic building in Arcadia, FL that is currently being restored for recreational use. Despite past claims of a vinyl record stash upstairs, it has been confirmed that the records are no longer there as the owner has moved away. The building holds historical significance and features cute shops and art, making it worth a visit when in Arcadia. It also hosts performances for those interested in experiencing its cultural offerings.
It looks like this building has classes for the arts, but we were there for the antique shop. We didn't have a lot of time to spend there, but we found bargains right away. The owner is very helpful too. If you like antique shopping, this whole street is full of them. Definitely make an afternoon of it. Several restaurants are available as well.

The opera house is beautiful, it's good to see such a historic building be cared for after all these years. It is sad that there's no elevator or ramp for people with wheelchairs to easily access the building upstairs but I understand that you have to do what the historical society tells you. It's still a wonderful place to hang out, especially if you are into Alt fashion or are looking for something witchy, Subcultures downstairs and The Midnight Dove upstairs had you covered!

Building being restored for recreational use. There is NO LONGER a vinyl record stash located upstairs in this building as people have claimed in the past. The person that owned those records moved to Maine a few months ago. There are a "few" old and moldy records located downstairs in the actual antique store, but that's it. 5 stars for the historical significance of this building and town. I was just there today and spoke to a guy on the 2nd floor. The vinyl is gone.

Very cool building. I need to go see an event there soon.
The artist himself gives tours of his aluminum castle & collection of art made from recycled items.
Absolutely love it! Arthur Solomon was obviously an absolute genius, a phenomenal artist in so many different mediums & techniques and a brilliant businessman.
I was cycle touring through the area and saw a nondescript sign for "Solomon's Castle". On a whim, I decided to detour and check out the"aluminum castle". There was so much more than just an aluminum castle 🏰.
When I arrived onto the property, I met the late Arthur Solomon's daughter, and she gave me permission to plug my gear in for recharging whilst touring the grounds and the castle. I didn't realize until later that she was his daughter, she was so humble I thought she just worked there.
Stained glass windows, wooden artworks, a wooden ship that houses a restaurant, and innumerable other treasures all hand made by Arthur Solomon.
And the property is still run by his family. What a tribute to a legendary man.
The only thing missing, is not being able to meet the man himself, as he sadly passed away in 2016 at the age of 81. How I would have loved to have been apprenticed to a genius of that caliber.
'I make things. Arthur Sanford Solomon".

This place was such a hidden gem! The family that owns it is a great family. Their heart is in it. Listen closely to the tour. I visisited with my two children 10 & 12 and they got many of the well written puns that flow with the art work- if I say more, I'll spoil it! The grounds are well kept, and beautiful for pictures. The boat on a moat/ pirate ship restaurant was homey, clean, and old Florida. The food was great, southern style. We loved the ice cream desserts, we had after the tour. . Angie was our server and she was the kindest, the other waitress was super kind too, the service was great. All clean! It was touching to get to talk to the staff and owners. One of my favorites was right before they end the tour you'll see a beautiful dining room with a door to nowhere. I highly recommended this place for a family, friends or date night. Go before July ends!

The castle and the grounds are beautiful. I can't remember the name of our tour guide, but he was amazing. Don't skip the walk along the creek. Knocking one star because lunch was mediocre (wait staff was great). But a BLT should have real bacon, not the tiny precooked (and half frozen) microwave strips of fake bacon.

Solomon's Castle was a unique and cool experience. Solomon's metal art showcased in the castle was impressive, and the creativity extended to a fascinating ship restaurant. The addition of a gift shop and a lighthouse added to the charm. However, the $35 price tag for a single tour seemed a bit steep, especially considering the remote location. We opted out of the tour due to the cost, but the overall atmosphere and Solomon's artistic touch made it a memorable visit nonetheless.

Amazing artwork! The "corny" humor some have commented on are exactly what the artist scripted for the guides to say about his art. It was endearing, like your dad's jokes... punny for sure. We went with friends who had been before and wanted to go again. There is a lot to see. Nice area to walk around outside. You can take all the pictures you want-- outside only. The Café is pretty good. We did go see the classic cars on the Encore tour. Very nice vintage Fords 1930s and older in great shape and some other makes. Highly recommend both tours!!

The castle has very interesting architecture, the materials are mostly from recycled items. The most unique aspect are the 100's of amazing metal sculptures and wood block paintings made by Mr Solomon. He was a genius. There is also an extensive collection of pre1935 vintage autos kept in 2 separate buildings.
He built a large wooden boat which holds a restaurant where visitors can eat lunch. Additionally there is a very nice outdoor patio where you can also eat lunch in nice weather. The food is very good and reasonably priced.

One of the most surprisingly awesome places to spend a few hours. In the middle of nowhere but worth the 1.5 hour drive from Tampa. The 45 castle tour is awesome. Howard Solomon was a legend, albeit gotta imagine a lot for most people. Hell of an artist. Boat restaurant on the property serves a great lunch. Gift shop is a bit weak, wish they had some reproductions of his art for sale. Overall tho can't recommend this place more for a random visit. A+++++

The tour guides were excellent! Well worth the adventure.

We had a delicious lunch at The Boat in the Moat, followed by an informative and humorous tour of Solomons Castle. Cindy was our tour guide and did a great job of showing us all there was to see. It's one of those unique places everyone should visit at least once. We'll definitely go back for lunch again in the future.
Awesome town! Wonderful walking tour of amazing murals. Definitely stop at the Chamber of Commerce to see the mural film.

Lovely murals. Nothing open on Sunday?😣 Many sad tourists. Very limited restaurants, and most offer only breakfast items. 🤔 Beautiful lakes. Another sad feature:Many shops even closed Monday's, and IF they are open, only till 3:00 PM. If you enjoy walking through a " CLOSED TOWN" and viewing murals, during the DAY..NO LIGHTING AT NIGHT, you will enjoy Lake Placid.

The murals of Lake Placid Florida are an experience not be missed. Several recently added murals are beautiful. There are 47 historic murals, 17 one of a kind trash containers all companion pieces to the murals, and 49 bird plaques all over the business district. Come visit the Town of Murals that Reader's Digest named "America's Most Interesting Town".

Great example of Public Art in the Town of Murals - Lake Placid, Florida. These are just a few of the dozens of murals around town. As an owner of several rental units, land, and a home in Highlands County, I have been apart of the community since 2001. With that said, I'm still a fan of the murals and have "walked the town" each time I make it to Lake Placid.
Dozens and dozens of wonderful murals – some as large as 175 by 30 feet and others filling several stories on downtown Lake Placid buildings – are painted throughout the town. Pick up a guide ($3) to these murals at the Chamber of Commerce - where there's a 10-minute video you will thoroughly enjoy - and then take a leisurely drive or casual stroll to see the story of cattle drives, of Lake Placid’s pioneers, of Native Americans who lived 10,000 years ago, of sandhill cranes and the citrus industry, and larger-than-life local residents like lady rancher Jennie Reninger who was so good with a bullwhip she could snap a cigarette out of your mouth from 10 feet away – one of the earliest anti-smoking campaigns, from what is advertised in the guide.
You haven't visited Lake Placid if you don't visit the murals. Highly recommended - 5 stars and an almost free ($3 for the guide) experience. My recommendation is to walk the mural route. It's a much more enjoyable experience.

Highlands Hammock State Park in Sebring is a vast park with full camping facilities, offering nine beautiful trails to explore. The Cypress Swamp Trail, originally built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, is a great starting point for adventure. The park features clean restrooms, a conservation museum, and opportunities for small music events. Visitors can rent bikes and enjoy walking through well-kept trails surrounded by diverse trees and plants.
Gorgeous park, so well maintained. Great service.
Interesting museum! Nicely put together.
Cute gift shop. Ice cream was a fantastic way to end the day!
Beautiful trees, trees and more trees!!! It was like walking in a fairy tale.
Only wildlife we saw was a snake, loads of lizards, couple of birds and some squirrels.
I took my 4 sons, they loved it. It was easy to get around with them. All of them had a good time, so I highly recommend for families!

We stayed at the campground over Labor Day weekend. Campground itself is really spacious with very large sites. Most of the sites are 30 amp electric with water but no sewer. There are a few sites with 50 amp service. We were lucky to get a 50 amp site. That allowed us run both of our conditioners. It was an extra hot week.
There are some really great trails in the park with lots of wildlife. There were deer roaming the campground every day. On the trails we saw armadillo, water moccasins, wild pigs. My wife saw a bear cross the bike path/ trail.
They have a nice store on site that has all the essentials. The Rangers are really helpful and nice. They don’t normally cut your grass while you’re in your site. With all the rain we had ours grew really quick during the week that we were there. The grass was really long and they were nice enough to cut it for us
Overall it is a really great place and I would recommend it.

The park itself is very nice with hiking trails throughout and a few bike paths. The Cypress loop under the canopies of tree branches for cars and bikes is beautiful and serene. The campground was disappointing with the amount of sites cramped in with little or no separation. The weekend campers transform the campground into a loud, kid ridden environment who like to let their dogs get wander off leash. If you want peace and quiet avoid Friday and Saturday.

I really wanted to give this park a high rating due to its historic nature (it is Florida’s first state park) and also because some parts are truly awesome (Cypress Swamp Trail), but I just couldn’t. The problem is that all the trails are very short (30 minutes are less). Many are connected so you can make a long walk of it but it still tends to take the fun out of things. You might even find yourself driving from one trail to another, which isn’t much fun. The Cypress Swamp Trail is a must see piece of Florida, but I wish it was 2x or 3x larger. One cool thing about this park is the old boardwalks on various trails, some of which are only single rail. There are also many impressive trees on other trails that are highlights. Given that Cypress Swamp is the most popular trail, it has a decent sized parking lot. Others typically had smaller lots with 5-6 spaces. On a Saturday in March, some were filled up. Almost all the trail walking here is under the shade. Note: if you drive into the park from the east, the gravel road is VERY bumpy for cars so be careful.

The trails were beautiful and well kept. Really appreciated how well maintained the park is. The primitive camping sites were also very clean and beautiful. We saw a coyote and other wild life. I would give it a 5 star if the primitive camping wasn't so close to a main highway. I could still hear cars and that wasn't the vibe but overall it was beautiful.

Great piece of nature! It's the first Florida state park, and it's a must-see. Primitive and non- primitive campsites are available. Wildlife everywhere, so have your cameras ready. The C.C.C. museum, next to the supply/gift shop, is certainly worth a visit. If you happen to be camping in the summer months and looking for a place to cool down, then take take a drive ten minutes up the road in Sebring to Lake Jackson, a beautiful, clear, public, and free swimming spot.

Deep in the subtropical jungle! gorgeous trails - hiking, biking ! The boardwalk trail has haunting views as it winds over the moving water! Part of it is closed now, but enough is intact for some amazing views and deep shade cover! Spectacular central Florida environments with many trails and picnic areas. The camp store was a welcome surprise with flush toilets, snacks and water for sale (plenty of other stuff too!). The tram runs in season and the museum was closed on July 4 when we visited but they look intriguing! Bikes for rent! A lovely picnic area near the camp store. The drive there was beautiful!

Nice Florida campground with helpful, friendly rangers. Narrow road driving through campground past mostly tenting area with many vehicles parked along the road. Campground was full and busy when we were there. Camped in site 42 which had a low limb - keeping us from backing well into the space. Rangers were planning to remove that limb. Space was large and fairly private. Parked on grass with water and 50 amp electric. Was fairly easy to get into, as there weren't vehicles parked along the road in this area too much with more RVs in this section. Interesting hiking trails. We were disappointed that the CCC Museum wasn't open when we were there - lack of volunteers. Campground is close to town with shops and restaurants. Good AT&T phone signal.

We enjoyed this park. They could improve on their park map for trails. We started on fern garden trail then it lead to hemlock and on the live oak trail. Those trails on the maps are not marked well and ended up taking the road back on the loop. It’s a beautiful hike but a little worrisome not being able to locate our car or any restrooms around near roadside trail heads.

Lovely State Park. Hiking trails are very nice. I was a little disappointed in the scarcity of wildlife. Everyone raves about the tram ride but I was here in January when every day broke the record for new Covid cases and I was not comfortable taking the tram where no one was wearing a mask and there was no social distancing. Campground was very tight with campsites very close together. Rangers and camp hosts were very pleasant and helpful.

We really enjoyed spending time at the park. The museum gives an in-depth history with illustrations and artifacts about the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) whose members built this park and many others across the country back in the mid to late 1930’s. The trails are well kept and are great for leisure walks. We saw people riding bikes and jogging. There is also an area for family camping. We’ll definitely come back.

What a beautiful park. We chose to drive through and get out and walk a couple small trails. There are plenty of trails to choose from. You can also camp in sites or “the wilderness” as they put it. There is a spot to rent bikes, a small gift shop for souvenirs or snacks. The restrooms are very clean. There is a conservation museum and also a place to have small music in the park events. But the beauty of the park was my favorite. So many different trees and plants. The swampy part was my favorite. We did not see any alligators or bears. But we did see bear droppings.

Sorry to say this was a disappointment playing this course during a week's worth of golf with buddies in February. The service staff was excellent, the facilities were excellent, the caddies (Mark an Tito) were great. However, at about $400 greens fees on the Red course and another $125 for a caddie, this course was in poor shape - the worst of 5 that I played over a week in February. No grass on the fairways, no grass on the greens. There must have been a freeze. There was no evidence of attempted overseeding. For the condition the course was in, this was an $85 green fee course. No warnings, no apologies for the course condition, just $400 paid at the counter. Interesting little 7 hole par three "course" we played afterward for fee. Hard to find the fairways but it was free and in better condition than the Red Course.

Nice place to visit, with mostly very good reviews on key aspects of the "Streamsong experience" yet some downers too.
Wonderful hospitality from the valet parking to the baggage assistance to the front desk. Good food with a variety of restaurant options. Nice rooms and good views all around.
Today, our caddie called us "bud," "bub," and "buddy," out the flag on the green to point out our putting line, and didn't really stress himself to fix divots or ball marks. No real training in evidence here. Your caddie experience is important. The other downer is that they don't care if it takes you 5 and 1/2 hours to play around. Took us 20 minutes to play our first hole and I express concern and everyone said relax and enjoy the experience. Part of the experience is getting done in a reasonable amount of time rather than canceling dinner reservations.
Love the courses and layout. Just need some fine tuning on the balance between laissez-faire and gettin' r done.

The lodging was OFF the chart! It took me a couple of days, just to take it in. But teamed up with world class golf.... Hold on. Red or Blue? Both have one of a kind greatness. Special holes that take your breath away. Black? I can't say. Equally spectacular, but to me Red or Blue. Period. I walked, with a caddie. In the future I would walk with a cart. On a personal note I don't like those old English buggy 2 wheeler. I wish they had the modern 3 wheel push carts. ( Red, Blue, black are the golf course names )
David Reed — Google review
We played all 3 courses. Indeed, these courses look and play differently than other typical FL courses. They have a lot of similarities: wide fairways, rolling hills, crowned design greens, elevated greens, fast tiering greens, very undulated greens, etc. The Red is a must-play with much more green surroundings, scenic layouts, and more challenging holes. The Black comes with huge greens with huge undulations. It's more deserted in its surroundings than the Red and Blue. With football-field wide fairways, the approach shots and putting are more challenging than anything else. It's very easy to get a 3-putt given its fast speed and huge undulated greens. My favorites would be Red, Black, and then Blue. All bunkers are considered waste areas. It's easily around $215 to play a round here with cart, caddie, and gratuity. I feel that there are excessive restrictions to play here with a hefty fee. You can't go to the range without a shuttle (for Red and Blue). The rangers will clock you frequently. I play relatively fast but still feel the pressure of being monitored every second. They try to make you feel attentive by breaking into several stations: bag drop, bag loading on cart, shuttle to range, starter, caddie, etc. All these so-called services make you feel that tipping on every station is necessary. Again, when everything adds up, it's kind of expensive to play a round even during the summer times.

Former phosphate mine with horse, bike & hiking trails amid wildlife, forests, hills & lakes.
It’s like hiking in Belize or some South American jungle, plenty of hills and trails, and the terrain is NOT flat like you’d expect in Florida. Plenty of wildlife and gators in the river, and just a great place to shutoff your phone and get one with Nature. Mountain bike trails are cool, and there’s ramps and jumps everywhere. Been there 5x and I’m always discovering something new! 7000 acres to explore. 5 stars for this gem!

Let's first start on the bathroom, can only speak for the men's. Loved it! Great showers, hot and plenty of room and hooks for your things. Very clean. Rate that a 10 when it comes to camping restrooms/showers.
Easy pull- in or back-in spots. Great layout, with plenty of room at the site and separation from others.
Sweet biking right from the site to the trails.
Nice green runs, fun blues and the double blacks,?
Well that was way over my head...ahhh!
The staff was extremely friendly.
All in all we didn't want to pack and go home!

It was a fantastic day of riding mountain bikes. Trails are well marked. The one-way pattern helps the enjoyment of the trails. Picknic tables and bathrooms are at the large parking lot.
Loads of trails for beginners, intermediate, and advanced riders. All were well marked wirh green, blue and black.
There were some elevation changes but very minor compared to New England mountain biking. But while flatter than what I am used to, it was still very enjoyable, and they built features in spots to make it a challenge.
This park lived up to my expectations and overall, I enjoyed my day here a lot and look forward to a return trip.

Very pleasant park with very clean & maintained facilities. There was much standing water producing swarms of mosquitos but it IS Florida!
I walked around the horse loop side & will definitely go on that side if I visit again. A lot of brush had been push down in the loop I was in & was rather unsightly.
The rangers were very pleasant & helpful & it's always fun to meet fellow campers. This is a popular destination for trail bikes but even though there were large groups on the weekend they were a fun to be around.
I would certainly stay again but on the horse loop.

This place is great. If you have kids, look into getting them swore in to become Jr Rangers at a national park. They will get badges and pins and activities. The lady that swore my kids in was very nice. At the ranger station they had all kinds of cool stuff. And $5 to enter, can be paid by cash, card, or online ahead of time.
The Agrico trail was great! There were so many elevation changes, it was very un-Florida. It is also right by the playground so the kids can play there too. There are also some pretty cool mountain biking trails.

Parkesdale Farm Market is a marketplace that specializes in strawberries, citrus fruits, and vegetables. They also offer seasonal shortcake and shakes that are quite popular with their customers. Duncan McClellan Gallery is another great spot to check out if you enjoy shopping, while Siesta Beach and Honeymoon Island State Park provide opportunities for some fun in the sun. If you're looking to explore beyond Clearwater, Ellenton Premium Outlets has plenty of options for shoppers, while St.
Plant City is the home of the Florida Strawberry Festival each year and is known far and wide for the best strawberries anywhere. The Parkesdale Market is a roadside open-air produce market that specializes in strawberries but also has a complete selection of fresh produce. Our visit today was in October, when newly planted strawberry plants can be seen up and down the local roads, meaning fresh strawberries are out of season. But, we did stop for strawberry milkshakes and some everyday produce. We are consistently happy with the quality of the fruit and veggies we buy and the prices can't be beat. The strawberry milkshakes are always available and a special treat we love. In the early months of the year, the fresh strawberry crop is picked and the special desserts from fresh berries are the reason Parkesdale has the reputation it has..

The atmosphere is very cute and pleasant and it is so convenient having all of the produce, jams, jelly, plants and home decor all in one place , HOWEVER, I feel like if you are proclaiming yourselves to be “world famous” in the midst of the strawberry capitol, you should probably have amazing strawberry shortcake. The milkshakes are good, the berries and cream are good, the options for healthier drink alternatives in the cooler is amazing and I appreciate that but that cake in the strawberry shortcake is truly awkward. It has the weirdest taste and texture and we just did not cafe gif it , no one finished theirs. The test of the stuff is neat and tasty though. I feel like if you are in that area by all means stop by but you will want to get in early to beat the lines.

What a local gem! Luckily, I was able to try their famous strawberry shortcake on the last day of the season. I'm not normally a fan of this type of dessert, but this place was amazing. The fresh strawberries are perfectly balanced. The shortcake didn't get soggy and had a nice texture. Surprisingly, the soft serve vanilla ice cream was smooth and very flavorful. Can't go wrong with a mountain of whip cream, either. I can't wait to try their strawberry shake. There was a long line which was expected on the last day , but service was so quick with plenty of seating. Cool weekend spot!

My first time here and it won’t be my last night. We were out on a Tampa Bay Adventure and stumbled across here. I was wondering why everyone was coming out with a pink drink at 9am and now I see why. The best strawberry milkshake I ever had. It was nice to do some produce shopping and not spend $100 bucks. Also had a great mixed cup of boiled peanuts. Some salted and some spicy. It was a perfect pit stop to our next stop. Hoping to come back for the strawberry shortcake.

During our trip to Tampa we visited this farmer’s market based on a recommendation from a Youtube Video. One word: Awesome!
After driving about 20 miles from Tampa Downtown, we were amazed to see so many people waiting in line on a weekday afternoon. Pretty much everyone got their Strawberry shortcake and it was magical. I would say go for the one with non dairy and vanilla ice cream toppings.
Our son opted for milkshake and it was great as well. Strawberry shortcakes are only available till about first week of April.
Boiled peanuts is another gem. We liked both salted and spicy varieties. Recommend visiting them if you are in Tampa.

My wife went specifically for the strawberry shortcake which is talked about all over the state of Florida and it lived up to the hype. The strawberries are beautiful and perfect. They almost look like the fake plastic fruit that you see on table centerpieces. We bought the honey gold pineapple which was so delicious. It literally had a honey flavor in addition to the ripe pineapple. It was so good. The grapes were large and crisp on the outside and full of flavor. This is a must for fruit lovers. This is a wonderful time of year for good fruit and Parksdale farm market is the place to get it. Try the milkshakes too while you’re there.

Visited today and it surely didn’t disappoint! The strawberry shortcake was absolutely delicious. The sweetness wasn’t overwhelming it was done just right. Love the market and the cute picnic area! Lines are long but it goes down quickly! Also parking is a little nuts but we parked fairly quickly even though it was full. Definitely recommend this place for all friends and families!

Pretty great place to visit. Little out of the way, but a perfect afternoon. The plants are absolutely spectacular & the Strawberries are obviously amazing!

Do you love Strawberries 🍓? If so, the next time you’re driving through Florida, carve out some extra time to stop in Plant City, FL. This is a great family stop. My kids loved the milkshakes, strawberry shortcake and strawberry sundae…the best part is this place gives you huge portions! As a bonus you can pickup some fresh fruits & veggies.
Dinosaur World is an open-air museum situated in Plant City, Florida that boasts over 150 life-sized dinosaur models nestled amongst indigenous flora. The park is located between Tampa and Orlando and has an entry fee of $20 for adults and $15 for children under thirteen. With a Fossil Dig and Boneyard exhibit, Dinosaur World caters to visitors of all ages who are interested in exploring the prehistoric era.
WOW!! What an experience, the dinosaurs are amazing, the landscape is outstanding as well.
The facilities are clean, the playgrounds are great! It was unfortunate that the fossil dig was closed. But the gem excavation was open which is a bonus! Make sure you get your tickets with excavation.
There no food here but many clean picnic table, makes for a great family experience.

Amazing setup and beautiful landscape!! We visited this place with our three children (9, 6 and 3 year old). And everyone loved every bit of it. Mind you it was 92F degrees outside when we went there to visit. However, due to the excellent landscape (lots of thick and tall trees and bushes) we could barely see the sun while it was pleasantly mild temperature all throughout the park. There are plenty of dinosaur and ice age animal exhibitions to see and take pictures of. They have gem finding and fossil finding mini section where children can have extra fun activities for additional fee. General admission prices we found to be adequate for the amount of fun we received during our visit. Don’t forget to ask for their military discount if you’re a veteran or active duty member. And even your spouse or significant other with a proper dependent ID can get a small discount, which I found it to be really nice (every bit helps 😊). All in all it was an amazing experience! Highly recommend visiting this place. Be sure to bring lots of fluids and a stroller or a cart if you got small children. You’re going to be walking a lot. 😁

Went today for my son's birthday. He absolutely loved it. It is definitely a cute place. There were these ducks that followed us for a second patiently waiting for fish food. It was a great time with the family. Highly recommend

If you're in the area, it's a must-see. It's definitely a family orrinted activity. Dress accordingly, most of the exhibits are located outside. The gift shop is very neat. The staff is very helpful. The ticket is very affordable.

Great place to visit and take family. Love the winding paths that you can travel down at your own pace. Beautiful setting. They do not have a place to eat and while the large gift shop carries water, you are welcome to bring your own cooler and the local pizza place delivers here. They are more then happy to invite you to eat in the lovely picnic area with whatever food you bring in. Very helpful and nice staff. Easy to get to right off of I-4 and plenty of parking.

Military get in free!
I’ve driven by this place for years and thought it would be a bunch of chipped-paint-cheap-small plastic dinosaurs around a lake.
My three and one year old LOVED it. Perfect place to take children under 5. It’s divided up into two chunks—there is a playground as soon as you walk in (yes!!) followed by a walking trail of dinosaur species in the back. Dinosaurs are clearly well cared for (no chipped paint!) and they feature ones that I’ve never heard of…so that was kinda fun to learn new things.
There is an option to “upgrade” your ticket and do a rock discovery activity in the middle of the park. We purchased that but it was SO busy with people and the kids wanted to hit the trail right away so I do regret doing that upgrade because we never did it. If you have kids over 5, it would be worth it to do that extra activity.
Could you make a day out of this? Absolutely. It’s also a mile away from Keel & Curley winery which often has strawberries and u-pick options. I am surprisingly pleased and excited to go back.

Loved visiting this hidden gem! If you have a Dino obsessed little one, I’d definitely recommend taking them here. They have what seems like hundreds of different Dino sculptures with descriptions of each dinosaur. Some I’ve never even heard of! I was pleasantly surprised with how many different activities there is to do here. Seems like there is something to do or look at no matter where you looked, which we all enjoyed so much. Especially some of the more “hidden” dinosaurs. I love that there are multiple playgrounds for multiple age groups. Was really excited to see that they were adding a splash pad, but unfortunately it was not in working order when we visited. Overall, it’s a great little place to explore for a few hours with your littles! **Please call ahead if you plan on using military discount because their online and in person discount is very different**

Dinosaur World is a really amazing place. My kid loves it a lot. you can spend around 2 hours there. escavation pass doesn't mean much for adults. it would be better if you could provide some more interactive activities with dinos for kids.

Took my five yr old grandson, who is very knowledgeable about dinosaurs. We had a blast. Worth every penny. We only spent a few hours, but could easily have made it 5 hours.

It is best to think of this place as a nature park with dinosaur statues and a few activities for the kids. It is a good place to go when the weather is nice and you just want a relaxing few hours. You can bring a picnic basket, walk around the trails, read the placards about various dinosaurs, and enjoy your lunch. It has some activities for young children such as a kids train ride, playground, and mini golf.

We enjoyed the Cave City KY location and saw the Florida one was close to our Spring Break trip so we HAD to go! We had a blast! Everyone was nice, it was very clean, and we just had a blast. We enjoyed the quarter smasher and the automated cotton candy machine. We all need to support places like this. So, if you're in the area, check out this super fun place!

This out in the open dinosaur world of a gem was absolutely fantastic. Really a great place to take the kids they do need more drink and food options while there but all in all a really great facility. My daughter had a great time in the playgrounds and really enjoyed walking the yard looking at the full size dinosaurs this was a great family treat.

This park is very nice and simple. My 3 year old had fun here. We did the fossil digging and gem panning. The playground is nice too. Just make sure to bring snacks and drinks especially during summer time as it tends to get really hot. But there are shaded areas where you can rest and have picnics. Interesting place for dinosaur lovers out there!

We have always wanted to stop at dinosaur world and finally had the chance. It was a really neat experience for everyone. I had doubts that the older kids wouldn’t like it but even the adults enjoyed everything. It wasn’t too crowded and it was nice being outdoors. The only complaint was they didn’t have any options for food or even snacks.

This is a big playground. Like any playground at any park. Its picnic style they do not sell food. A bit expensive for what it is. THE STAFF is really nice. I love the souvenir store. Its more for babies than big kids. Definitely not for teenagers

Took my son for his 3rd birthday (should have went a day early for a free ticket).
Dinosaurs are cool to look at but a lot costs extra. I wish everything would be included in the price, since it's already pretty pricey.
My son had a good time but was disappointed we didn't have a train ticket (we thought we purchased one at the front)
Did enjoy it was dog friendly, so our pups got to join for the day.
Pretty much a one and done deal, no desire to go back again.
Bring your own water and bring plenty, NO water bottle filing stations at the restrooms.
Was cool they had it decorated for Halloween.

Very nice!! Mom, daughter and 4 grandchildren aged 9 years to 10 1/2 months!! Rode the train, played in the fossil dig, fun on the good sized playground, took a cooler with drinks, sandwiches, chips, snacks... you can take a stroller or wagon for kiddos, lots of entertainment for everyone, mini golf...... great gift shop nicely priced... a very good bargain! The store says 2 hours but we could easily stayed for 4 hours!

Surprisingly well laid out and clean. Great for families with smaller kids. Nice paths.... short and simple train ride.... reasonably price compared to others these days. Most of all, my children loved it. They have a dinosaur themed playground that the kids enjoyed thoroughly. How is this place not better known?

The past is a mysterious and exotic place. Dinosaur world took me to this place and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Me and my best buddy spent 2 hours journeying the park and observing these representations of beautiful beasts. All the reviews say it is for small kids but in reality it is for anyone who appreciates prehistoric animals. Would definitely recommend!

Really cute park to take the young dino enthusiasts. We were there for about 5 hours. Spent time with 2 Paleontologists, learned some interesting facts we didn't know. Prospected for gems (crystals and stones), dug for some little fossils (mostly little teeth and mini bone fragments). The dinosaurs throughout the park are very well done and maintained. They look fantastic in photos. There are real fossils in the museum and the Exhibition Cave. Plus real Dino skeletons in the Doom Exhibit. Fun Dino toys for purchase in the gift shop. Bring your own cooler and snacks. Lots of picnic areas to take a break and eat your food. The playground was a great spot for my 6 year old to finish using up his energy for the ride home.

Fun and cool looking place, whole family had fun! Definitely another great option to bigger theme parks, as it's cheaper and less crowded. (I prefer this.) Beautiful plants as well, it really felt like we were in a jungle.

Thank you for being dog friendly! Gibson felt so welcome from start to finish. We love the shade and reading through all the education signs.
We also couldn't help but notice how clean the dinosaurs were. This park is clearly loved by the on-site team and it shows!
Bok Tower Gardens is a National Historic Landmark in Citrus County, Florida that features beautiful gardens, twice-daily carillon concerts, and the Mediterranean-style Pinewood Estates (circa 1930s). The gardens also hosts outdoor classical-music concerts.
What an absolutely beautiful hidden gem Bok Tower Gardens is!!! If my friend hadn't told me about it I wouldn't have stopped to check it out. What a vast array of beautiful landscape to walk and explore; 250 acres worth!! We barely scratched the surface and I look forward to going back to explore more! I love how all the plants are labeled so we know what we are admiring!! We so enjoyed the gardens and the tower, and next time will explore more of the nature trails. We also enjoyed the children's garden, Hammock Hollow, where my 5 year old could explore on terrain more fitting to her size!!
We grabbed a bite to eat at the cafe; delicious sandwiches and ice cream!! Was a nice treat before exploring the gardens. Make sure to also take time to go inside their mini museum and learn the history behind Bok Tower and Gardens, as well as learn more about the making and insides of the tower itself.
Bok Tower Gardens is a place you could spend your entire day exploring, as well as just relaxing on a blanket with a picnic relaxing!!

This place is beautiful. We spent half a day there walking around and looking around at all the beautiful plants and trees. It was amazing to walk around and check out the grounds and old buildings. The tower is amazing and we stayed for the carillon bells. I can't explain the beauty at this place, just spectacular. The food at the Cafe is delicious, great salads and sandwiches. I really enjoyed this place and recommend, so relaxing and a place to de-stress.

This is definitely one of Florida’s hidden treasures. Unspoiled by man’s forward progress, this sanctuary features some extremely beautiful trees, plants, flowers, and foliage. And of course, the main centerpiece is the Bok Tower Bells. If you want to avoid crowds and screaming children, and screaming adults, this is definitely worth the visit. It’s about 45 minutes or so from the Walt Disney World resort. It’s definitely worth the drive.

Just back from a visit to Bok Tower Gardens and I've got to say, if you're someone who loves a bit of nature and history, this place is a must-visit. Nestled in Lake Wales, Florida, the gardens are a creation of Edward W. Bok, a Dutch immigrant who really gave back to his adopted country. This beautiful spot isn't just about the lush landscapes; it's also home to a stunning 205-foot tall Singing Tower. The sounds of the carillon bells ringing through the gardens are simply majestic.
We went for Mother’s Day and it was the perfect setting. The tower, the music, the expansive views—all contribute to a peaceful, yet exhilarating experience. They even play a mix of top 100 hits, adding a modern twist to the historic backdrop.
For anyone looking to spend a day surrounded by beauty and calm, I can't recommend Bok Tower Gardens enough. Bring a picnic, enjoy the koi fish in the reflection pool, and just let the beauty of the place wash over you. Whether you're a history buff or just someone looking to unwind outdoors, this place has something for everyone.

This was a really lovely experience and I would love to come back. I feel like they offered everything I would have ever expected or hoped for as far as gardens or estates go, and they did it well. Between the gardens themselves, the introductory video, the museum, the cafe, the tower itself and the gift shop, everything was top notch.

Beautiful garden. Trails were paved and mulched, well kept. Bathrooms were cleaned. I enjoyed the walk through the garden. Looking at the map, I thought it was a lot bigger but after walking, it fell just right. Not too short, but also not too long. Perfect for younger kids. As you drive in, you pay at the front gate, then drive to the parking lot.

We love the many incredible Botanical and Natural Gardens that Florida offers for visits, at the “top” of our list is Bok Singing Tower. On this particular visit we had a goal to hike their trail system along with the Garden. We ended up doing over 5 miles including a variation of terrain. It is no easy feat to hike a grade of significance in Florida.
The bonus was the large number of Azaleas in bloom. The music from the carillon echoed in the hills as we traversed the sand and clay terrain. The gardens transported us to far away places with strange sounding names. Then we inadvertently crashed a wedding where the theme from Jurassic Park brought in the Groom and Bride’s entourage. And you know… in that setting it worked.

Visited 4/16/2024 and had a great time. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The grounds are immaculate. We brought a picnic lunch and enjoyed time by Bok tower as the carillon played. There are lots of small secluded areas to enjoy time together in a peaceful outdoor area. The tour of El Retiro is worth it and brings you back to a time long past. We did stop in the cafe, where they have a selection of beers, food, and ice cream among other things. All were excellent. I'll be back!

The landscape is so diverse and well maintained. There were so many portions of the gardens to explore. The tower was really neat, the bells have a beautiful sound. The Old Florida is very interesting and fun to explore. We would highly recommend a visit, plus it's out in the country. This is an opportunity to get away from all the crazy traffic of a more densely populated area

What a wonderful experience! While visiting friends in Cocoa, FL, we planned a day trip and drove to Bok Tower Gardens (something they'd talked about doing for a long time and just hadn't been). The grounds, gardens, the home on the property- El Retiro- were all beautiful! And the main attraction- THE SINGING TOWER!!! oh my goodness!!!! It was stunning. It looked like we were in another country or maybe we'd walked through time??, into Middle Earth (Lord of the Rings). I hope to visit again, soon! It was just a perfect day!

You can easily spend a couple of hours just exploring around this beautiful place, but at the same time, everything is close so it’s not an exerting walk by any means. Magnificent!! I was here many years before all the gardens were added. Such a huge variety of flowers and plants, vibrant colors, the winding paths with groups of plantings artfully designed - with many to attract bees and butterflies, plenty of places to sit after much walking, exceptionally clean... And then there's the tower itself. Beyond words...exceptionally well maintained, looks new.
And add to all this a perfect sunny cool day with a nice breeze -- we were in 7th heaven. We will definitely be back.

Bok Tower is an expansive garden where the centerpiece is a giant bell tower. You can enjoy a well-manicured garden while listening to the captivating sounds of the bells. The Circle B Bar Reserve is a 1,267-acre park situated an hour outside of Orlando in Lakeland, Florida. The park features hiking trails and bike paths that provide access to Floridas many natural habitats, as well as a lake for fishing and birdwatching.
When I moved to Polk County, I fell in love with the parks & the lakes. The nature walks are awesome. Circle B is one of my favorites I enjoy it to the max every time I go. There are beautiful birds, turtles, alligators, squirrels, raccoons and the peace you feel inside is the greatest. Enjoy walks with friends, family & kids Highly recommend if your in the area

Circle B is my new happy place. Despite being only feet away at times from large alligators (whether you see them or not), the trail by the lake is incredibly peaceful.
This is a great spot to get some steps in on the trails, spot and photograph wildlife in their natural habitat, or just take a break from your hectic life to reflect and appreciate nature.
Yes, there are a ton of alligators sometimes on the trail itself, but as long as you give them the respect they deserve they won’t bother you. There are plenty along the “alligator alley” trail but if you keep going on the marsh rabbit run trail you can see many more LARGE gators sunning themselves on the beach just on the other side of the canal. The whole park is full of different types of birds but I highly recommend the boardwalk with a gazebo on the lake that affords an excellent opportunity to see large ospreys and eagles grabbing a meal.
I gave the trail 5 stars but keep the following in mind:
- There are no water stations along the trail so bring a full bottle before you start your hike.
- parking can get crowded at the entrance. Even when the lot is full however the trails themselves never seem crowded.
- certain trails can be closed due to a variety of reasons. This is especially true during alligator mating and hatching seasons (typically in the spring and summer) when alligators are known to be aggressive (as I said outside of these periods they’re incredibly chill as long as they’re not provoked).
Overall this place is truly a hidden gem and one of the best places in the state to see Florida in all its natural beauty.

Great park for photography! In fact, I've never been to a park where there were more photographers than anyone else. There must have been 50 guys with telephoto lenses. Was great walking with others and watching what they watched (attached is a photo with faces removed for privacy). I include a sample of some photos I took from my trip this morning.

Such a great place to see wildlife!! No cost to get in. We have visited twice and both time we saw an armadillo, a wild hog and many many alligators. The alligator alley path is narrow and you can see wildlife on both sides of you. Also there is a bald eagle nest in one of the trees you can see. If its sunny bring lots of water!!

Great hiking park. Taken family here on visits many times. It has a nice indoor visitors center, it could use a water stand. The trails are nice, when they aren’t closed. Hit or miss. And as for the animals, it’s nice to see them living their life in the wild not zoos. In total. It’s im fun once or twice :)

We had a great time! Beautiful scenery and easily walkable. We saw probably 25 alligators both large and very small! Some were camouflaged very well so keep an eye out! Saw some beautiful butterflies, majestic birds, turtles, a squirrel, a raccoon, and a friendly armadillo. The trees with Spanish are breathtaking! If you are going with a small child I would probably hold them, push them in a stroller, or at least hold their hand. Most times the path has a steep drop into marshy/brackish water with alligators.

Nice place to go and get rid of your daughter's boyfriend. He will never be found. Ok in all seriousness, he is a good guy. This is a very nice place to go. Great old trees, scenery, wildlife everywhere- including gators. The trails are walkable or bikeable. No dogs due to gators! Lots of different trails to take and the indoor exhibits are well done. Good place for photos so take your camera.

I go here to be with nature and my thoughts with God. Everything just slows down as you enter the gates (speed is 15) and gives you time to breathe, walk and think. I notice most others slowing down and enjoying the alligator and special bird/animal/plant sightings…I take photos that look professional almost because everything is so beautiful in its simplicity. As I walk, I like to imagine the original owners walking the dirt roads and what they were thinking…and when my family come from Texas and wants to see an alligator (lol), this is my “go to” place to take them.

It was odd at first to walk along the lake and to see so many alligators on your left and then to see all different size baby gators on your right. Raccoons walking and minding their own business. We took so long on this trail taking pictures and just hanging on the covered walkway on the lake watching so many alligators just floating along. There is more to the Reserve we just didn’t get to it. Many birds, and turtles.

I tell my husband I’m going to the ‘bird show’, when I go here, because that’s what this place feels like to me. It’s incredible- there’s so much diversity here and it’s right on display as you walk down the trails. It’s like the birds are performing just for you. I love coming here after sunrise when the birds are most active. The wildlife photography opportunities abound. You’ll see lots of other wildlife, too- not just birds, but they are the main act for me. The marsh/swamp is beautiful and the live oak and cypress trees draped in Spanish moss give this place a very enchanting allure!

This was an amazing place to visit if just being in town shortly and wanting to see wildlife.
We saw around 20 plus alligators, Armadillos, raccoons, snakes, and countless birds.
We visited here twice, first time in the p.m. around 5 to 6:30.
We saw way more wildlife in the evening.
When we visited in the a.m. around 8 to 9 we saw significantly less animals so I would suggest going in the p.m. if you have a choice.

A photographers dream location with dozens of bird species, alligators (all chilled and used to humans), armadillos and rare sightings of bobcats.
Flat and easy trails, and a lot of friendly folk out and about loving nature. Get ready for gear envy if you like to take pictures, there are some big lenses out there 😍 but everyone I met was happy to share their knowledge and help identify birds.
Real cool place 👍🏾

Had a Fantastic experience touring the place. Our guides Barry and Jeff shared a wealth of information. Jeff, one of the original team members to help develop Circle B Ranch as a Reserve from an active cattle ranch. It was amazing to see how Circle B Ranch has transformed from a water deficient, overly grazed grasslands into current marsh and wetlands. There were pictures to show the amazing transformation!!! With educated transformation of the land, they've been able to bring water back! Which in turn brought birds, animals and vegetation. We were fortunate to see bald eagles nesting, an alligator, different birds including herons fishing with one having captured a long eel for lunch! There's a visitor center with numerous trails. Circle B Ranch Reserve is continuing its transformation into a beautiful natural environment for the current and future generations 🙏

A good place to see a range of landscapes and wildlife. The alligators are the clear reason many go here. They are abundant.
It is a large reserve and the walking trails have been in good shape each time we visit. There is a mix of surfaces from shell or dirt, paved and some boardwalks.
Near the parking area there are a few buildings. An educational center, bathrooms, etc. There are a good many picnic pavilions and tables. We almost always take a lunch so we can hike some of the trails, eat, and go back out.
There are no animals allowed in the park and if I had a young child, I would be very aware that there can often be large alligators along the trails. Yesterday we had no less than 10 around us at one point while walking one of the strips of land with water on each side. These large alligators cross these areas so you may come face to face to one. Yesterday we got to see a large female with her newly hatched little ones all along the shore.
When visiting you can expect to see eagles, herons, osprey and other waterfowl. There are rabbits, racoons, turtles, wildflowers, butterflies. It is full of life.
There is a central part of the boardwalk along Lake Hancock that has not been open on any visit we have had. They also close sections when it is not safe for pedestrians due to certain alligator activities. Check the website before you go to see what trails are open.
All bathrooms are near the parking areas.
Obvious things are needed if hiking, water, bug spray, etc.
The fact that you can walk along the shore of a large lake, or through a swampy area, an upland, an area filled with large oaks, these things make a visit quite nice. It has a range of environments to enjoy.
Again, be mindful of the alligators. We spotted two yesterday that were so well camouflaged that many didn't notice that they were passing within a very short distance of what were clearly large animals.

This was our first visit and an absolutely spectacular time!! Naturally, a little scary considering you are so up close and personal with the gator families. However, they are so calm and respect you, as long as you show them the same respect. Just really a neat thing to see and experience! So much wildlife! We only walked 3 trails and will be back to walk more! Highly recommend!!

This is the most lovely place! It is so peaceful and not a bad walk around the various trails around the park. This place definitely became our favorite place to go escape reality for the day.

Amazing preserve/park. The live oaks are breathtaking. We took the Alligator Alley Trail. Lake Hancock on one side and the swamp on the other side of the trail. We saw all kinds of birds and a raccoon strolled across the path right in front of us. Saw many gators sunning. Coming back again. NO DOGS !

The reserve is full of rich history, efforts towards conservation of natural resources and a beautiful place to get in some extra steps or have family time on budget. Would definitely recommend the Circle B Bar Reserve for any nature lover, photographer, etc. There’s plenty of regular and accessible parking. They do have an accessible trolley tour so be sure to tell them when booking. Hat, sunscreen, water, comfortable shoes and your hypervigilence when walking paths. The wildlife lives here and we are guests. Follow rules and don’t harass the wildlife. It’s a beautiful spot and photographers can get a permit to take photos here. Staff is friendly and helpful. Volunteer opportunities are always available if you are looking for something to do. Put this on your list of “places to go”—definitely worth it.

This is a nature preserve on the shores of Lake Hancock. Admission is free and parking is free.
The visitor center serves as a hub to use the restroom, get maps, and cool off in the AC. But be warned, it closes at 4pm! We made a lap around the lake trail before returning through the marsh trail. It was about ~2 miles. We saw alligators, turtles, birds, racoons, and more.
I thought it was slightly difficult to navigate the campus. It really needs a big map near the parking lot displaying all possible trails and locations.

This place was magnificent! Wildlife all around! Seen so many gators and birds! Also a racoon came right up to us! Definitely coming back. We took alligator alley trail and it didn't disappoint 😀🐊

Amazing Place for Unforgettable Hikes...You WILL see gators, all kinds of birds and tons of critters. Great paths that are well maintained and breathtakingly gorgeous habitats. Best Reserve in All of FL ❤️ Keep a little ones close and bring plenty of water.

What a beautiful place for a short visit or a day trip. Trail signs are fantastic, most trails are 1-2.5 miles each. Lots of things to see prairie, marsh, lake environments. There is a discovery center (open on Saturday) tram tours, port o lets. Of course the highlight? Gators! Tons of them! Saw them sunning themselves right on the banks we walked by, in the lake, big splashes when one gets scared of YOU! Bald eagles, osprey, herons, egrets, ducks & more. Peaceful. Thank you people of Polk County!
**Leave your pets & fishing poles home. Neither are allowed & that's exactly why the gators are still fearful. If you need to fish or bring Fido everywhere, please go somewhere else**

Great trails. Take an umbrella. That Florida sun is hot! Lots to see. Make sure your phone is charged so you can take photos. And bring water! We saw a lot of neat wildlife.

Wonderful place to hike and experience wildlife. Not to mention, it has no entry fee. Tons of wildlife to enjoy and photograph. Would recommend for any nature lover and photographers. Make sure you bring everything you need with you.
At LEGOLAND Florida Resort, you can enjoy a day of fun without any stress. The park is filled with colorful LEGO bricks and features attractions geared towards children aged two to twelve years old. Rides and attractions include the attached water park which offers a refreshing break from the heat. LEGOLAND Florida Resort also includes an 150-acre theme park, 5-acre water park, on-site accommodations themed with LEGO bricks, and a world famous botanical garden.
Hadn’t been here in 10 years since our son was little. They have made some improvements but this place is still as amazing as it was back then. The food, drinks and rides were great. We were actually there a total of 5 hours and rode 14 rides!! We do Disney regularly and 3 rides is the norm there. We got annual passes so we will definitely be back. This place is so cool. Clean bathrooms and everyone was super friendly.

Great park about 1 hour away from Disney ( out west). This is a great park for small children, not so much for teenagers. You can bring your refillable water bottles as they ah e refill stations for ice, water and soft drinks even if you don’t buy their cups. You should buy their cups to refill fountain drinks though. I went Labor Day weekend, the lines weren’t long at all. The most I’ve waited in line for a ride was approximately 15 minutes. Bring a change of clothes or towels for the rides that involve water. The food isn’t that great. Tickets are approx $100pp. I found a great deal online. Pay for 1 adult and kid goes In free plus paid for parking $22. I paid $268 for 4 tickets. Google search “ kid free with adult ticket” ( Honest Kids)

The service has been immaculate. They have a lot of staff members and all have been very kind and helpful. The free buffet breakfast has lots of options to every age and diet. Is it the best buffet? No, but it’s good for what it is. The themed rooms are a big hit with the kids. And every day they get a new small Lego kit they get to put together and keep. The castle hotel has a playground you can hop over to and utilize during the day. The Lego building play areas have been really fun for the kids. It’s been an all around great fun experience. The downside; all guests 48in and shorter, no matter the age are required to wear a life jacket in the pool area. Even if they know how to swim. I don’t think much older than that would have much fun.

Excellent theme park for kids, specially for toddlers. Many attractions for all ages and with a best in class decoration. You really feel like you’re inside a Lego toy.
Food is not that special, but enough for spending the day.

The best theme park we have been to! The hotel rooms were well decorated. The buffet skillets for breakfast and dinner were amazing. Great place for all ages but in order to ride all the rides you have you be 48” tall. We loved all the Lego made characters throughout the park. Each area is decorated to its own theme. My kids rode their first roller coasters here and are hooked to ride more!!! Very clean, friendly staff, reasonably priced food and gifts. We can’t wait to come back and stay longer! No I’d also suggest the pontoon ride on the lake. The Captain is very knowledgeable and easy going and super kid friendly.

If your child is into Legos this is a MUST! Pay the extra $ and stay at the resort as well. You can't beat the convenience of having your hotel room steps away from the theme park.
The rides were great for my almost 5 year old. He loved all of them and especially loved the building stations they had throughout the park. I think his favorite thing to do was build the cars and race them with other kids at the Imagination building.
Every staff we encountered was so nice and helpful.
The park was clean and kid friendly.
We had dinner and free breakfast at the resort and it was surprisingly very good! Service was great. Room was great!

As a “Lego Nerd”, wife’s words, I was excited to take my ten year old son. We had so much fun going to all the exhibits and rides. We went in the middle of the week and there was little to no wait for most rides. It is definitely geared more towards younger kids, or adult kids 😆, than teenagers. I do like the fact you can bring your own water bottle and fill it all over the park. We have been twice so far and plan on going back a lot more.

Legoland Florida was SUPER FUN! We went on almost all the rides in one day, the wait times are pretty short. They also have a water park. Regular parking was $20 and preferred parking was $50. My favorite part was Mini land USA. Legoland is an awesome, extravagant, amazing place to go on the weekends or weekdays. I would recommend bringing tons of water too. And coming on a weekday.

Legoland was better than I expected. There were plenty of rides and activities for my young kids to do. We spent an entire day there and didn't get bored. There were refill stations for drinks at the park. I wish there were places for mist or outside fans as it got really hot, but we took breaks as needed.
My kids enjoyed every area of the park that we went to. We tried the pizza and pasta for lunch, and I do not recommend it. It is pricey for food that doesn't taste good. I really enjoyed the 4D movie. It was very interesting and short enough to keep my kids' attention also long enough to cool off.
I dreaded going to legoland, but I am glad I went. Highly recommend.

Great place for families with young kids. The park is small and easy to get around in a few hours. Food choices vary and are a little pricey for what they offer, but they do allow small coolers in. Young adults and teens will enjoy the park, but only a few rides are available to them

This was our very first Legoland Trip and we drove about 13 hours for it with a 9 & 7 year old and it was well worth it. We stayed at the hotel and went to the parks. The hotel was incredible. It was so much fun, it had so much to do and was really cool to look at. The rooms were a little smaller than I thought however they were perfect. My husband and I had a blast along with our girls. They had a dance & pajama party every single night and a party elevator although the music wasn’t working on the elevator but my girls still sang and danced in it and enjoyed themselves. The park had plenty to do. We had 3 days at the park and we got to see and do pretty much everything. You could stay a entire week or more and not run out of things to do but for the Legoland part of our trip those 3 days were perfect and they got to do everything they wanted. My husband and I also love legos so it was really neat to see everything built in Lego. My camera roll is more full from our Legoland stay then our beach portion of our trip. I definitely recommend visiting Legoland instead of Disney. It was a really cool experience!

We visited the place a week after new year. We only purchase 1 park ticket which is the Legoland itself. The weather was cold. There were less visitors. Most of the food carts were close. few rides. children will definitely enjoy the park. In terms of souvenir items there were not much to choose from. I was looking for architectural lego design but there was none.

So much fun there! We conquered the whole park in 3 hours - two adults with no kids. Some of the rides have about a 40 minute wait. Spots to go indoors and get out of the sun throughout the park. Very clean and organized. Only wish they had more "healthy" food options in the park. A ton of great photo op spots and most of the employees will take your photo with characters that appear.

We got our annual pass back in December 2021, it is well worth it. Been here already 3 times and my little one loves it. We have $299 pass , we love it, no need to pay for parking ( we park in preferred parking) , we are allowed to bring 3 guess per pass in the year. We have use some already. I must confess it is a great park, lines for rides at the most 20 minutes and not all the time.

Legoland is a great park for the kiddos ages 3-10. Especially if they love building with Legos. The coasters and rides are all appropriately themed and exciting for that age bracket. I have 3 boys and they LOVED IT! As an adult I enjoyed the large Lego builds. I would recommend this trip to anyone who comes to Florida with young kids. The wait time for all the ride were very reasonable, 5-25min per ride.

We really enjoyed the craft at the Legoland theme park. I was just amazing. We really enjoyed miniland and we actually started there must of our visit. The best part for us was to see our hometown in the mini city. "Miami Beach". But, all the Lego craft is just amazing. It a must see to believe scenery. 👀😯👀😯👀😯👀

This was my families favorite vacation! I wish we would have come here sooner. We stayed in the Legoland Hotel (pirate theme) and my kids loved it! The room was cleaned daily, housekeeping was great! The free breakfast at Bricks was awesome, we did it everyday. We also ate at Shipwreck in the Pirate Hotel, it was good but very expensive. Both restaurants are family style. We went to the pool and had it all to ourselves for an hour, best time to go is around 11. It was very clean.
The park was a blast, so much to do and so many places to cool off. The wait times were not insane like Disney. It was definitely less crowded during the weekday vs weekend. My kids road everything they wanted to multiple times. My only regret is not coming here sooner!

This park is specially designed for children under 12, but it's fun for all ages. The wait time was short at an average of 5 to 10 minutes per ride, with the exception of the cypress boat ride that had a 25 minute wait, I suggest going on that one right when the park opens before the line gets long. Buy the tickets online directly from Legoland for a secure purchase and to receive the best discounts. The kids love all the interactive attractions and rides, Legoland got the formula right, it really gets the kiddos involved like no other park!

WOW !!! What a great place to take your family. We made the trip on 10/29/23 and it was worth the 90 minute drive. Our daughter had a blast and their Team is absolutely Awesome. Halloween was in full swing and passing out candy from 2pm to 7pm, and not skimping on it. We had so much fun that we have decided to purchase season passes on their program. And the food was delicious and very reasonable!!!!

Pros: when the park isn't busy, it's a pleasure to be there. We went on an "off season" day and it was perfect. No lines, kids were able to ride almost all of the rides other than the rides that were undergoing "annual maintenance". Overall a really great trip and the kids had a blast.
Ricki Mindick — Google review
I went with my kids today, and in my opinion, it is not worth the price for the amusement park. Regular fair rides are way better than this park, and it's over hyped. The only advantage is that 4 year old kids are allowed in all adventure rides along with an adult, which is not feasible at Universal and disney.
S Bansal — Google review
First visitors. Familiar with all Orlando parks and we live here, so went with family and a 2 year old. Rides are per typical of a county fair and over very quickly. Grounds dirty. Rides that were supposed to be open until 4pm (the pirate boat ride is the picture with my watch) were closed early.
But the ABSOLUTE WORST THING THERE WAS THE FOOD. The all you can eat pizza and pasta buffet was something straight from your nightmares. SUPER EXPENSIVE and all food bars empty all the time. They were adding ONE pizza at a time, while 15 people waited. When you did manage to launch yourself , Hunger-Games-style, to fresh food, it was absolutely awful. No cokes in any soda machine at all. And did I mention trash everywhere?
Finally, rides for a tot are SO minimal. Even super safe rides (like floating boats) they can't ride.
The only redeeming things about this place (still not worth the price point though) were the Cypress Gardens area, and the mini Lego land.
Been here, done it, and if you have an option - recommend that you pay a little extra and go elsewhere.

So let me start by saying this place is nice for the kids and they loved it BUT the prices are just outrageous for what you are getting. Yes they get a little scavenger hunt in the fully themed rooms and they get a free small Lego pack and a juice but does that really justify the prices? I don’t think so. Otherwise it’s just a regular hotel. They do have the little play area in the lobby but the lobby is small. Perfect for the kids but the prices are ridiculous. Our kids did enjoy every minute and I’m not regretful but they should consider lower pricing so more families can enjoy the experience. That being said they do have a full bar downstairs where you can watch your kids play and have a drink and food. The breakfast was a family style all you can eat which was included in the price but still not super spectacular for what we paid. The breakfast was good though. The aesthetic and the decor is perfect and the kids thought the elevators were so much fun. Bathrooms are a little scrunched but the room overall was nice and it accommodated our 3 kids perfectly.

This place is a ton of fun, especially for younger kids, but even the bigger ones can get in on the excitement. The Lego creations are simply incredible and truly captivating. The rides and attractions offer a good time, and there are indoor rooms for Lego building, complete with air conditioning and seating for a much-needed break from the sun and walking. While things inside can be a bit pricey, it's par for the course with most theme parks. Overall, we had an absolute blast!

Excellent for 6-9 year olds! 48" can pretty much ride everything. 44" can ride with another kid who is 48"+.
Not a lot for toddlers under 34-36" but we went for the older kids. My 2 year old could do 3 rides. This was our 2nd trip and we just discovered the red schoolhouse building with the childcare center inside. It was great for an air conditioned break. Small indoor playground, kid's restroom, several lactation rooms, fridge & sink, many changing stations. Our toddler was able to nap in a lactation room with the lights off while my husband took the older kids through the park.

BLESSED to be a Polk County resident for annual family passes for our 11 year old son. He will soon "out-grow" much of the rides, since going at age 2½. The Water Park is the BEST for local FUN during Florida heat. The atmosphere and remaining Cypress Gardens, Ski Show, and Holiday Events are FUN for All, and returning visits. A 20 minute drive to Family FUN for Children is a Luxury; since, other families have to get on a plane, pay for a hotel, and book well in advance. And; Mom got a Discount, and Preferred Parking. NO Lines to get thru to Parking. I only went to get my PASS and purchase a "Gift Card" for The BIG Shop or LEGO Factory Store. They do not offer "Gift Cards". I did not go further into the Park for visit. Other Guests have more thorough REVIEWS and Beautiful Photos. ENJOY🤗

I went with my wife and an adult friend (no kids) and was shocked at how fun Legoland actually is. There is a LOT to do, including some really fun rides and excellent theming. There's also a HUGE section of Lego cityscapes with realistic 5-6 ft tall buildings depicting the Vegas Strip, Florida cities, San Francisco, DC, and more. I spent about an hour just looking at all of that... Almost like a Lego museum. There are also fun Lego building options like the new Ferrari build-and-race where you build your own Lego car from scratch and literally race it like a soapbox derby.
For the coasters... The wild mouse (Great Lego Race) was maybe the best wild mouse model I've been on. Dragon is extremely well-themed with tons of Lego animatronics and a decent family coaster at the end. Coastersaurus is bad. Rough and forceless with TINY cars very difficult for adults to fit in.
Non-Coasters... Ninjago was disappointing. It was the first ride (I think) with the AR hand-motion shooting but the sensors were not calibrated well and there were no physical sets at all. Just screens, screens, and more screens without an interesting story. So if the only point is shooting for points it would be much more fun if it was properly upkept. The queue was very cool though. (In general I LOVE the idea of putting places to build Legos IN the queues so kids can handle longer wait times.)
Lost Kingdom Adventure was good in concept but again, not calibrated well. I like that when you shoot targets it activates effects. I feel like this one would be better without the guns at all. Just let us go through the "not-Indiana Jones" story with all of the effects happening for everyone.
The LEGO Movie Masters of Flight was a cute concept for a ride and is basically a better version of Disney 's Soarin' ride (but not close to as good as Avatar: Flight of Passage). I liked that the ride had a story as well as most and scent effects.
Pirate River Quest was disappointing. The wait times were outrageous for not that many people in line (a general problem at this park) especially because they were only running 3 boats on a 20-minute ride. And they only hold up to 8 guests each. So ~70 passengers per hour. And for most of the ride I wished I wasn't on it. It's mostly just a pirate telling you to count gems then giving you the answer before you even pass by all of the gems. And most of the figures are not made of Lego and are stagnant. Not nearly enough animatronics for a "pirate battle." The parrot talking got really old really quick too. I did like the last part sailing on the open water but I'd rather just walk through the Gardens next time. Because I chose to do the ride I didn't have time to walk through Cypress Gardens which is included with admission.
Mia's Riding Adventure was the only true thrill ride in the park, being a big disco-style spinner ride. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Coast Guard academy was basically go-karts but in boats. Super fun but the wait was ridiculously long because they weren't using over half of the boats.
NFPA Rescue academy was a super-fun competion to put the fire out the fastest. A slight workout!
Most of the rest of the rides are kiddy flat rides. I think you need a lot of kiddy rides in Legoland BUT too many of them are just the same flat track with different ride vehicles and scenery. Would be nice to have a really solid kids' dark ride along the lines of Ratatouille at EPCOT or Small World at Disneyland/MK.
The park was clean enough though the bathrooms weren't great. The rides and experiences were a lot of fun. The only negative is that the operations on the rides are TERRIBLE and it's mostly not the employees' fault. It's because the ride's capacities are akin to fair rides but the park is built to attract thousands per day, causing lines with literally 20 people to take 20+ minutes. Most theme parks have ride capacities around 600+ per hour per ride and this one is about 15% of that.
Also know that AAA Gives good discounts if you're a member.

Compared to Disney Theme Parks, Legoland is a bit far to the city. But it has its unique themes since visitors can see lego characters, animals, and famous landscapes everywhere. It is amazing to see the mini city around the US to the world. They are all beautiful. There are many rides at Legoland and waiting time is so much better than at Disney World. Kids seem so excited there as they can see, touch, and take pictures with their Lego characters. Kids and adults can join the rides and most of rides there are mild and experience for kids.

Beautiful gift shop where your campus tour starts. A Sears catalog home with the interior remodeled in a prairie style. I love the shadows of the courtyard lights and porch pillars. Thoroughly enjoyed the 2.5hr in depth tour. Excellent guid and well worth it. While the buildings were interesting I think my favorite part was the 1 mile worth of Esplanades. I think a press of button on the tour should add a glimpse of the 45ft water dome in action particularly on a warm day, but the fountain still looked good at half power.

If you are passing through Lakeland and love architecture you MUST stop in and go on a tour. Call ahead to set it up, we did the full 2 hour tour and saw a collection of some of the most amazing buildings in a single campus you will ever see - and most still function! Our tour guide was great and told us all about the area, buildings, history, etc. Don't miss this! $50 for the full tour per person but well worth it.

We enjoyed the self-guided tour, which started in the gift shop. Note that you should park across from the visitor center - there is no on-street parking in this historic district. My favorite was the mile-long covered walkways (esplanades) between buildings. They had geometric cutouts to allow light and water for the plants.

The Frank Lloyd Wright tour on the campus of Florida Southern University was a very surreal experience for me. It felt as if I had been transported back in time to 1937 and was witnessing the construction of this beautiful campus through the eyes of a visionary genius. The walls in the courtyard seamlessly connected as I walked through the main (original) campus buildings. Despite the ceilings being only about 6'6 tall, there was a strange sense of security. These structures are truly one of a kind. The architecture bears a striking resemblance to the modern designs featured in today's magazines. I recently came across images of Beyoncé and Jay-Z's home in California, which was the most expensive piece of real estate ever purchased in the state. Surprisingly, it looked remarkably similar to the buildings that Frank Lloyd Wright constructed on this campus. The use of concrete blocks, minimalist aesthetics, and continuous lines were strikingly familiar. The campus itself is undeniably a masterpiece. I couldn't imagine attending classes every day in a building that is a literal work of art, but that's a whole different topic. Moreover, it's astonishing to think that Wright managed to complete all of these buildings during World War II. The entire experience was truly surreal, and I highly recommend taking the time to explore and appreciate it.

Very beautiful and peaceful. We went on a Sunday afternoon, the weather was great, lots of families all around, but it was not crowded. Beautiful setting right on the lake. Lots of grassy areas for relaxation. It is connected to Barnett Family Playground and Splash Pad, but the playful sounds from the park did not deter from the beauty of the gardens.

Quite frankly one of my fave places in Lakeland. An always wonderful hit of nature and calm in the middle of the city.
The caretakers/gardeners are also super friendly and have no issues with answering questions about the garden, plants, or anything else you may want to know (within their purview of course). And if you ask they’re more than willing to give cuttings if possible (not always allowed for some). Anyway the whole place is beautiful. It’s well laid out, well structured, and a delightful place to visit.

This is a beautiful sculptured garden that borders a lake with interesting spots for multiple age groups. While there, there was a wedding rehearsal, to take advantage of the beautiful settings. The gardens offer ideas on how to group various plants.

Simply beautiful. Quiet peaceful setting just off Lake Mirror in downtown Lakeland. A perfect place to unwind or take pictures. The plants and flowers are majestic and give off a calming vibe as you walk around. Not huge… but we’ll worth the visit. This place has so many photo opportunities and so much to take in … well worth the trip.

A very nice, small, formal garden next to a lake and open lawn areas. A splash park for children is next door and the most amazing roses I have seen surrounding the "Magnolia Building "which is directly next to Hollis Gardens. I go often just to see the roses.
There is a small cafe at the magnolia bldg. and there are many downtown eateries close by. Great garden for a short stroll. There is no fee to enter.
Public bathrooms are next to the splash park and not well marked, so look for the two-story building beyond the play area / water park.
The kids love the water features and fun looking playground equipment. The nice lawn going down to the lake where the town holds some events gives a good open feel.
The garden has a variety of plants including many Tropicals and some vegetables. Each little area has its own theme, surrounded by boxwood hedging. A fountain runs down toward the lake from a large half circle pergola / pavilion. This area is highest point and the garden and gives you an overlook at the areas you can explore working your way down to the lake. There are several artworks in the gardens and on occasion we have gone into the Magnolia Bldg. for little art shows, etc.
Drive or walk south to Morton Lake to see a great many waterfowl. Swans, black and white, etc.

Very nice public garden on the southern end of Lake Mirror. Free to walk around, with a great variety of plants and flowers. Would be a good location for a portrait shoot. The Garden Bistro was next door was awesome for Sunday Brunch.

Very nice well maintained garden. We loved seeing the multiple fountains, and enjoyed watching the birds give themself a little bath. My oldest son liked the art sculptures that were there. Also enjoyed the little pond with the koi. I think they would benefit from a bigger area to swim. My favorite part was the gardenia trees, they smelled so good when you walked by them. Would definitely recommend a stroll through the garden.

Title: A Botanical Paradise in Lakeland!
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars)
Review:
Hollis Garden in Lakeland, FL is an absolute gem that will leave you enchanted with its natural beauty and tranquil ambiance. As a nature lover, I was thrilled to visit this exquisite botanical garden, and it exceeded all my expectations.
From the moment I stepped foot into Hollis Garden, I was captivated by its meticulously designed landscape. The garden is a symphony of colors, featuring a stunning array of vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and beautifully manicured lawns. Every corner seems to have been carefully crafted to offer a feast for the eyes.
One of the highlights of my visit was strolling along the winding pathways that lead to hidden treasures within the garden. Every turn revealed a new breathtaking vista, whether it was the cascading waterfalls, the charming bridges, or the serene ponds adorned with water lilies. It felt like stepping into a fairytale land where nature and art seamlessly merge.
The attention to detail in maintaining the garden is commendable. The staff takes great pride in their work, and it shows. The flowerbeds are immaculate, the sculptures are well-preserved, and the entire garden is kept clean and tidy. It's evident that the team behind Hollis Garden puts in a tremendous amount of effort to create an unforgettable experience for visitors.
Apart from its visual appeal, Hollis Garden offers a sense of tranquility and serenity that is hard to find in today's busy world. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat to unwind or a picturesque spot for a picnic with your loved ones, this garden has it all. I found myself completely immersed in the calming atmosphere, feeling a true connection with nature.

Went here and a lovely walk with some great views and plants. Followed this by walking round lake mirror and seeing the sculptures. Total about 1.5 miles but easy walking. Parking available for free

A small botanical garden with a grand view of the lake in the front. It’s seems like a popular place for people to take photos of weddings and other events in their lives. Best place also for TikTok. Parking is small but additional road side parking

This is a review of the Hollis garden in Lakeland Florida.
I believe this to be a city maintained park garden that is surrounded by office buildings and restaurants etc.
They have a fireworks display at 4th of July late at night from the center of the lake.
Is a long walk around but absolutely stunningly beautiful as the lake is filled with various fish, turtles and there are birds, ducks and swans everywhere.
We were here on vacationing visiting family but I would have to say if I lived in the area I would be here constantly it's free to just walk around there are playsets for children, we encountered several friendly people who were walking the perimeter for exercise along with others who are just out for a stroll in their lunch break from offices I assume based on the way they were dressed everyone was in good spirits it was not crowded and fairly neat and clean.

Very beautiful, beautiful little garden. Well worth the walk through! It's right next to the main lake, downtown, and all the shops! Well kept, lots of flowers, fountains and places to sit and relax
Josiah Kenyon — Google review
The food is excellent and the wait time was good. The food prices weren't bad and were decent compared to most places.
If you like vegan or veteran options, this is the place for you, with meat lovers also getting some love as well.
This place has beautiful scenery and nice staff. The outside area lets you view the downtown lake, and you will be surrounded by excellent infrastructure for ventures and gardens. The flowers and plants are beautiful, and the area is well taken care of.
The only problem is that the outdoor area is limited and a tad small, so if you are planning to take a group there, reserve a table. The standard setting carters to a couple seats, with a few 4-person tables and only 2 tables on the outside patio. There are plenty of seats inside.
I would recommend this place for a hangout for brunch or a morning date.

Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium serves as the spring training home for the Detroit Tigers, as well as the seasonal home for the Flying Tigers. The stadium boasts recent improvements and is considered to be one of the best parks to watch a game in Florida. During the summer season, minor league games are played at this beautiful stadium.
We have always loved going to the Tigers spring training. Stadium with the new improvements are nice. Sad that you have taken away the vendors that walk around with product.
Also, when entering you should have one line for bags and one line for people who DO NOT have bags to search. Quicker lines!

One of the best kept ball parks in Florida! Every single person who works here is so friendly and greets you with a smile! Parking is free and the concession prices are extremely reasonable for a baseball game, including the beer prices! This is great for the whole family to go see some baseball! They do special events and bingo on Tuesdays which is really fun!

What a phenomenal experience, this venue is first class and so great. First of all, every employee encountered was friendly and said hello. From the parking lot to exiting the stadium every employee was beyond great. The stadium is clean and inviting. You will get sun on you if you have a lower level seat so be ready. They allow you to bring in an unopened water here. The game itself was great, very fun and fan interactive. Only complaint was exiting the parking lot it was a bit slow, otherwise awesome time.

Nice stadium convenient location fun and cheap games lots of fun ! We love coming here as these games really hit home ! See what I did there ! They have great sponsors and a coupon on the ticket for things like boneless wings at hooters . That's a plus and I don't even go to hooters ! We miss the meet and greets with the players , therefore we would like them to come back. The store is pricy but ok for a souvenir store for a baseball game. I got a mini bat and baseball. Batter up ! EDIT ! VISITED TODAY AND I ACTUALLY FOUND A VENOMOUS SPIDER. IM NOT LYING . THE SEATS WERE LOADED WITH WEBS AND I ALMOST GOT BIT. The shade in the upper levels is pretty good. The canteen good is delicious. I got a fry cup , pepperoni super slice , and a souvenir lemonade. Lemonade was very good and the pizza was worth beyond five stars . It wasn't even the best pizza ever 🤣. Fries remind me of the ABC commissary at Hollywood studios with a bit more salt and flavor. They were better than abcc (ABC commissary) . And you get a whole lot more. The Souvenir cups were great. Definitely coming back as I've been coming for more than 5 years !

I will give this stadium 5 stars because it’s very nice once you get inside stadium, great features and lots of nice places to eat and drink. The parking is a major problem if good team is visiting, they have parking problems! Cash only when parking!! Stadium is beautiful and very clean, friendly workers as well.

Excellent service and a great ballpark with great views everywhere and close access to players!! Staff were super attentive on a day that had a heat index of 120 making sure everyone was alright!! Will be coming back here much more especially for spring training and more games!! I’m from Columbus Ohio so that says something!

Great seats at an unbeatable price and pure fun. I’m not a baseball fan but I had the best time here! We sat really close to the dugout for only $35/seat and players autographed balls for the youngsters in our section. The manager gave us quite a few of the foul balls, too. Top notch concessions and a great ballpark staff and fans made this a night to remember.

Great experience as first time visitors of this stadium. Nice facility, good options for food and many restrooms. Was a bit of a wait to park but not enough for a complaint. We enjoyed shaded seats and walked around the stadium quite a bit taking in many viewpoints of the game. I'd recommend seeing a game here and I'm sure we'll be back! 😊

Spring training home of the Detroit Tigers. Beautiful stadium. Best park to a watch a game in Florida. Minor League games all summer

Great fun in the sun watching the Tigers (barely) beat the Twins. Really wonderful way to spend a warm and sunny Florida afternoon. But… don’t expect wonderful food. My hot dog was as cold as rolled up balogna but my pretzel was warm, kind of. Still, we weren’t there for the food. The park is beautiful and both teams played hard. Well worth the forty bucks per ticket. FYI… we were in section 211 and it was in the shade all afternoon. It would have been a little hot if we had been in the sun the whole time.
Phil Messina — Google review
There is nothing like a great baseball game. But being here gives you a completely different aspect of it. It's like watching the tigers at your hometown field. You feel up close and personal. If you have never been, you need to go. Very reasonably priced. Everyone pretty much working is florida retirees and make it a great event.

Been to Florida a few times now and we wanted to see a Baseball game, the staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming, thanked us for our support at the end and even organised a game ball for us to take home, would recommend for first timers.

Nice little stadium but the old fogeys running security are the worst. Won't let you bring in a backpack even though other milb stadiums do and are crotchety about it.. Food and beer selection was good. Team store lacking variety on souvenirs like shot glasses and magnets. Also this is a cashless site so bring plastic.

First spring training game for my husband and me. What a great time! We had wonderful seats and beautiful weather. Excellent size venue to see the big league guys up close. Stadium was well staffed and didn't have to wait in any lines but we did arrive just after the game started. The place was packed. All the traditions at the ball field were upheld, making for a great day with the family/friends. Would love to come down from South Carolina again to catch a game and maybe a ball!

Had a great day at a spring training game. Lots of vendors and good options for food and drinks. Would have maybe had a couple more available especially in outfield areas to spread people out in the main concourse area. Great to sit on the grass and watch BP. Few party areas for groups which is nice. Parking was easy and in and out quick.
Curtis Wakefield — Google review
Publix field is a great venue as always. Concessions were a bit busy but it was first game and vs Yankees. The ballpark is super fan friendly. Took a while to park. Would recommend parking 1 hour before first pitch and buying general admission parking online. No need to upgrade parking as they have shuttles running from overflow lots which are a quick walk to stadium.
Daniel Toy — Google review
I would get there early. The traffic was awful. Getting into the gate was fairly easy. There are multiple lines so don't just get in the big line. You cannot take much into the field, read the list of allowable items. Parking was not terrible, parked at the Lutheran Church on the corner for 5 bucks. It was a nice day and day one, the #Yankees first game against Detroit was 22 to 10.

Very nice stadium with good sight lines. Parking was easy, stadium attendants drove us directly to our gate on golf carts.

Park at the church for $5 just a block north of the stadium! Stadium is very clean & well maintained. Frozen cocktails on 3rd base side concession area are a big plus for hot days. Field is built up a little so front row seats your adult head at players belt level.
Had an amazing time on this tour! Rachel, our tour guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the environment we were in. We saw lots of different wildlife and got to hold baby aligator's! Would definitely recommend this tour if you are looking to have an awesome, authentic, Florida experience!

First impression, well i must say I was a little sceptical and wasn't even sure we were at the right place. After checking in we were grouped with another family for what I would call "Gator 101" with miss Rachel. She is so knowledgeable about gators and a natural as an instructor mixing in some humor which we all enjoyed. After some mentoring we were able to handle some smaller gators with close supervision of course. After that we ventured off on an air boat with captain Joe. Super great guy and fun to be around. Joe was awesome how he interacted with us and our kids so we were all involved. He told us everything we wanted to know about the birds, turtles, bald eagles, snakes, gators and plants. If you're considering an air boat tour I highly recommend Captain Fred's. Quality memories made here. Thank you to all the caring and hilarious staff. We all had a blast, and the kids loved every minute. We'll be back!

Just fantastic! We're visiting FL to go to Legoland and read reviews so booked a tour. Captain Rachel is phenomenal: she knows the good spots to see wildlife, describes the natural history, mating info, etc. We saw birds, turtles, and GATORS. My 7 year old will never take nature for granted. I think we're a little jaded and skeptical but this tour surpassed all of our expectations. Zoom in on the first pic for a beautiful garor.

My niece and I had a wonderful tour today. From learning about alligators, to actually holding some alligators and having a blast on the airboat! Rachel was so much fun and very informative! Captain Joe was pretty cool too. Living in FL for 12yrs, I had never done one of these tours before. This will definitely be an adventure I will never forget. I will be seeing this place again! A must for when family comes for a visit. Thanks Rachel and Captain Joe for a fun afternoon!

Had a great time! Highly recommended for families looking for something unique. We had a group of 9 and everyone had an awesome time. Captain Rachel was knowledgeable about the gators, down to earth, and all around made the boat ride a fun experience.

The hubby and I were invited to go on this airboat tour. At first, I didn't really want to go, but since we were in Florida, home of the gators, I thought "why not". I may regret it. So you listen and learn about the gators and even get to hold them. At first I didn't want to hold it but thought, "when will I ever have this opportunity to hold these creatures". So I did and it was amazing. The actual tour of going out on the swamp land was a great experience. We saw birds, a bald eagle, and a momma gator in its habitat. She was protecting her eggs. The tour lasts about 2 hours. Our tour driver Luke was a lot of fun. Try this tour and hold a gator..you won't regret it.

Did the evening trip out on Lake Hamilton and there were lots of great sites to see. Lots of birds and alligators for viewing. Trip was worth the money and was very entertaining. I would recommend to others, just be wary there may be a lot of bugs

We called the day of and got a reservation at 4 pm. We had an absolute blast!! Captain Rachel was fun and knowledgeable and made sure we had the best experience. We had 4 adults in our party and Captain Rachel made it an adult experience! We saw plenty of gators and the boat ride is one to remember. Holding the baby gator was a once in a life time thing and no other tour has this added perk. We will be back to see them every visit. Worth the time, money and drive.

Hillsborough River State Park is a wild and natural spot next to Tampa city with plenty of activities for visitors, including fishing and kayaking. It's also home to an interpretive center with information on the Seminole Wars.
This state park gives you the best parts of natural Florida. It is exceptionally well maintained, and trails are easy to navigate and follow. There is a playground for kids, and my son loves it. There is bountiful wildlife to see here- this past trip we saw lots of turtles and an unusual amount of red shouldered hawks. There is really good tree cover for most of the trails, so it is one of the better trails to undertake during the summertime.
Lindsey Tuttle-Cox — Google review
Went for a day hike, did about 10 miles of the trails. Really enjoyed the river. There are simple trails that allow you to see the rapids, while small, the bubbling water flowing over the rocks is pretty cool and rare for this area. These can be seen on a short hike without doing a long-distance hike. I would say less than five minutes from the parking along the road. A ranger at the entrance can direct you if that is what you want to see. There are very nice boardwalks and paths along the river in this area. Very user friendly and very scenic.
There are other areas with bathrooms, camping etc. We only hiked the trails. Going over the suspension bridge was a very fun experience. The water was much clearer than I anticipated. We saw a good many fish, and there were many alligators to see too.
The trails were clear enough to follow, and not so wide as to feel like you were hiking on a road. Doing the longest portion that goes past the route to the primitive camping we only saw one other set of hikers. I enjoyed this area greatly as we saw some huge oaks and the portion that runs along the river gave a real glimpse at a river in a very natural state.

The park is beautiful. Space 42 was very big and close to the river. The trails were nice, and the only bike trail was nice as well. What I didn't like is that there were no other bike trails, you cant ride your bike in the nighttime because "the road is closed for safety reasons at night," and the bathroom was super disgusting. I have never seen something like it. I think it is safer to shower in the river than in their bathrooms, no lie. I don't think I will come back to this park for a while. Ah, the pool is still CLOSED!. bummer.

Beautiful park to visit if you’re in the area or just passing by. Entry was 6$ and I parked in P2 This is just views from the River Rapids trail to the suspension bridge / Baynard trail. Definitely bring water and bug spray. There’s a lot of wildlife visible from the trails. There’s definitely alligators so pay attention to every step. There was fishing going on also if you’re into that I cannot specify what fishes are in the water tho.

This was our first of many State Parks we stayed at, well the Park needed a little rehab, it made up in nature, wildlife and beautiful views. We did learn our first lesson by arriving to the campgrounds after dark, you can’t see anything. There were some boards missing from the wooden paths, but the paths were marked very well. The campsites are large and spread apart with some privacy. We will definitely be returning to this park. The Rangers were very helpful and polite. If you look at the pictures I attach you’ll see what a beautiful park that it is. There was also a beautiful man made to table bridge that you could stand on and look at everything around for a long time. The restrooms were immaculate, and the laundry area just right.

A Gem for Nature Enthusiasts and Campers - Hillsborough River State Park
I had the most wonderful camping experience at Hillsborough River State Park and I can't wait to share it with everyone. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the park's pristine beauty and the array of activities it offers.
The cleanliness of the park was truly impressive. The well-maintained trails, facilities, and camping areas reflected a commitment to providing visitors with a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It's evident that the staff takes great pride in keeping the park in impeccable condition.
The size of the RV sites was just perfect. Spacious and well-spaced, the sites offered privacy and a feeling of being close to nature. It's rare to find sites that strike such a perfect balance between convenience and preserving the natural surroundings.
Speaking of activities, Hillsborough River State Park truly shines. There's something for everyone, whether you're an avid hiker, a water enthusiast, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat. Exploring the trails, kayaking along the river, and even picnicking by the waterfalls - every moment was an adventure.
Overall, Hillsborough River State Park is a gem for nature enthusiasts and campers alike. The park's cleanliness, the thoughtfully designed RV sites, and the plethora of activities available make it a destination that stands out. If you're looking for a rejuvenating escape surrounded by nature's beauty, this park should be at the top of your list.

Great park with a history that goes back to the Great Depression. Developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during FDR's presidency, trails were cut and established and an impressive suspension bridge over the river was built.
A great way to spend the day or even a few hours - not bad at all for $6 a carload (at the time this was written). Be on the lookout for wildlife from alligators to turtles.

Incredible park, the trails are manicured enough to walk but not so much that it makes you feel like it’s too humanized. I came here really wanting to see an alligator and on the way out we were able to see one swimming in the river. The water is crystal clear, you can see TONS of fish swimming around. There were some incredible birds as well and some turtles. Out of our 7 day trip to Tampa this was definitely one of the best places we went.

Visited Hillsborough river state park in May 2023. Looking for a location to hold a wedding ceremony for my youngest daughter. It’s a very beautiful park and the staff and volunteers were very helpful. Lots of camping spaces. Lots of walking spaces. Would be a nice way to spend the day and get out of the city. Upside: it’s close to the city.

Nice little classic state park. The river is beautiful and they’ve done a nice job with plenty of bridge and boardwalk infrastructure where needed to enjoy it. If you are visiting the Tampa area, this is definitely worth a half day to visit the real Florida. I’ve heard that weekends are a zoo, but it was very pleasant on the weekday I visited. The trails are easy for families and I saw many people walking large dogs. Some parts of the Seminole trail were a little primitive though. Saw a few gators, many turtles and a few impressive cypress trees.

Loved it but was attacked by fifteen thousand fleets of mosquitoes. Big boys with long snouts. Right through your shirt. I felt so sorry for the soldiers who had to be there. Ugh . All I did was pray I would not get malaria. I know a bit dramatic. But hey . Mosquitoes down here are so big they could ride the adult rides in bushgardens. Ugh 😣😫 next time longer shirts and jeans n lots of big spray and repellent packs up .

This area of Tampa has the best nature trails and scenic parks, this one is one of my favorites and it’s HUGE. You could walk the trails all day. And they are beautiful. It has Floridas only white water rapids (or one of the only ones) it’s small but gorgeous none the less. Boardwalk trails, bridges, small education center and a seasonal swimming pool

My parents got married there 43 years ago in April. This place will forever hold a special place in my heart. Even still, it's beautiful, I've been there so many times to walk the trails and I've even kayaked through the river which I totally recommend to anyone who loves to do those things. It's absolutely awesome. You see so much more. Warning the river has Gator's all through it. They never once bothered us, as we didn't bother them, I've seen otters playing and recently my bf, my daughter and I got to see a beautiful owl perched in a tree. Can't wait to go back again.

We're definitely coming back!!...As Floridians we haven't done much in-state camping because, of our daughter's school years, we usually go - to NC mountains - during the summer. Now that she's on her way out of college we'll be doing some more in-state camping & this S.P. is just what we like. Woody & forresty with plenty of trails, the picnic area has plenty of space & pavilions & grills...The campground loops are laid out nicely & easy to move around, we even saw about a half a dozen yurts. We'll have to bring the canoe next time!!

Beautiful county park. The Hillsborough River is so clear and pristine! Wish you could swim in it....but as you can see there are gators around every corner.🐊 Great trails to hike along the river. Bring bug spray, mosquitoes are out already.🦟 I thought the camping area was larger, but there are only 3 small loops. Some sites are along the river, though. We will definitely be returning for camping!

Amazing park with nice, shady trails and a big bridge. The walk is nice and usually not toooo crowded, though it is busy on the weekends. There are rapids at the river so they’re pretty and sound pretty.
If there’s been a bunch of rain, the far side of the second trail will be soaking wet— though the first trail (with the forest prayer) will be just fine! Have seen alligators and armadillos around!
Carly Cahill — Google review
Beautiful park to explore. It can get pretty busy with people. The wild flowers are blooming and the fuzzy caterpillars were everywhere. Some of the trails are pretty buggy so make sure to cover up to not get bit by mosquitoes. Good chance you’ll see some gators lounging around in the river. Careful on the trails as of 3/23/24 many of the boardwalks were rotted and shakey; if your not careful a foot will easily go through in some areas.

If you love nature trails and a beautiful river. This is the park to visit! Absolutely beautiful park! The trails here are awesome. But my favorite park was walking along the river that led to a really cool wooden bridge. Make sure to go across and hike the trail on the side. The best part is, it doesn't cost much at all to enjoy such a spectacular area. There are picnic tables and restrooms available on site.
Michael Jimenez — Google review
It's a busy place. There's always a line to get in on the weekends. So be prepared. It's not that bad. It's very pretty. There are several walking paths by the water (busy) and through the forest. There are fishing spots available. They do not allow you in the water. There are alligators. I only saw one on this, but I know there are many more. The mosquitoes are horrible during the summer so be prepared. They have camping available. Primitive to RV. There's a swimming pool, but I've never known it to be open. Or never paid attention. There are plenty of shelters for parties. And play grounds.
Kim Fields — Google review
This is my first time going here hiking so if you're going by yourself it's only $4 to get in. Otherwise it's $6 for one car load of people if you walk in or if you buy cycle in it's $2. I did two of the trails both of them go along the river one more than the other they were super nice it was a beautiful day perfect day for walking the trails or a lot of people in the playground areas and the picnic areas the bathroom was really nice Yes I always check those out I normally have to go before I start my walks lol. I like that they have recycling stations. They did have water stations but I was not able to use them because there was a boil water notice so that was a little depressing. But the suspended bridge that was fun moves way more than I thought The boardwalks along the river and everything are nice. You won't be disappointed if you go.

This year, we booked a tee time for last week (early May 2022) and all I can say is WOW!! We were all grateful that we played here this year as they're supposed to be aerating their greens in June. Prior to playing here, I'd heard nothing but great things about this course and now, we all know why. It's one of those rare Florida courses that has extensive elevation changes, rolling undulations and almost 200 bunkers. Some of them were huge and deep. Almost all were well maintained. The greens were lightning fast and pace of play was perfect.
A warning for high handicappers like myself; this course is tough if you spray it all over the place and you will likely have very few, if any even lies. But, it is fair if you play smart and one of my favorites that I've ever played in Florida, despite all the challenges the layout presents. I highly recommend them as one of the best public access courses in the greater Orlando area.

Traveled to Orlando with friends on an impromptu golf trip and played a few name brand courses in the Disney area. Southern Dunes was hands down our favorite and the most affordable! It was peak season rates but the conditions, course design, and pace was unbelievable. Maybe the only round of golf I’ve played at a public course that was 4 hours flat, the pace was worth it alone. Add this course to your plans and play it twice. We played it 3 times we liked the course and staff so much.

Played 7 courses in 6 days, and this was tops of them all. Incredible layout, conditions, staff were all super friendly. Course is incredibly challenging but gives enough tee blocks that you can easily find one that suits your game so you enjoy.
Greens were some of the best you'd find anywhere. Top Notch in every aspect.

Don’t really even know where to start. This course has made an amazing turnaround in the past 1.6 years. Course is in great shape plus it’s a great track to play. Driving range is the best in the area. Chipping area is the same. They are redoing the putting green now but is very close to opening it. I’m a 4 handicap and if I lived in the area I would definitely be a member or if your from out of town this is a MUST COURSE TO PLAY!

BEAUTIFUL course in great shape. Lives up to its dunes name!! Pace of play felt very slow, but played in 4 1/2, so not unreasonable. Very friendly starter, but could have used a ranger. One foursome spent 9 minutes on the green!

This course is a must to visit! Over 200 bunkers but very enjoyable to play and the layout is just in my taste. Quite windy this time and that made things a bit harder.

What a great track to play. Course was in excellent conditions, and just a beautiful layout. Awesome practice area, with grass driving range. Be ready for some US Open type greens, very fast. I am a single digit handicap and I was on the defense when it came to putting. Very true and very fast.. I would say this is a “must play”, best value especially for what you get. Tour level conditions which I loved.

First time I've ever played abroad and this was such a great course. From arrival to departure, the staff were on hand to help me, just wonderful service. The Hire clubs are better than the set I have at home, the course is in great condition and is very forgiving. I would throughly recommend it to everyone.
Now one year later and I've played it a couple of more times, just cannot fault it here, really reasonable prices(about £60 for 18 holes, club hire and a buggy) and the staff are so helpful and friendly, a really good course.

A really beautiful course. I’ve never seen sand traps this size before at any other course I’ve played. Definitely a challenging course, but really nicely maintained.

Excellent course - layout was very challenging. Greens cut low and sandy but still rolled true. Tons of bunkers and only 1 hole with water. Stopped in clubhouse after, sat at the bar where food and service was excellent. Will go play again.

The highlight of our trip. Worth the drive and such a blast to play. While it is intimidating at first glance, it’s very playable and a fun course to play. A must do for us every trip going forward. Top of the line Bloody Mary to start the day out too. The staff was fantastic as well. Thank you for a perfect day Southern Dunes.

Great track. Well maintained. Not the hardest course but if you find the bunkers, obviously it plays tough. Definitely recommend this course.

Right from the start it felt like we not wanted there. The bag drop guys watched us carry our bags over to the carts and proceeded to watch everything we put in the cart. Went inside the golf shop and not one welcome or good morning from the two staff on hand. As we approach the first tee the starter looks through our cart looking for outside alcohol, I ask him if there is anything we should know about the golf course and he walks away. Middle of the first hole we get an alert that no outside alcohol is permitted and is grounds for immediate removal. Expecting then to see the beverage cart a few times it take 8 holes before she is found. When she does arrive we get two drinks a piece and I ask will we see you again soon. Her response if you want more you have a cooler. Sweet thanks but that wasn’t the question!! While the golf course was fun to play the grumpy and miserable staff attitude and service makes this a place I will not revisit. There were 12 of us in the group that all felt the same way.

Overall I’d highly recommend checking out this course. The staff at bag check are fantastic, pro shop staff fantastic, clubhouse bar service fantastic, course is pretty good for the price. The only issue we had was the beverage cart girl on 10-20-2023 in the afternoon yelled at us at hole 9 for throwing away (in the garbage) our styrofoam drink cups we originally got when we purchased a drink inside at the bar prior to starting the day.
She asked us why we’re trying to destroy the environment and we should be re using them again! No joke! She refused to serve us because we had disposed of our styrofoam cups! No joke! Several alerts on our cart about not allowing private coolers. We get that, but maybe people are carrying in because the cart drink service demonstrating such poor customer service? I’ve never encountered anything like this.
Aside from that I’d say our experience was very positive and the staff was very hospitable.

What an amazing course! The staff was wonderful. The cart was very nice with GPS. The driving range is grass (+). The putting green is unique and in good shape. The course itself is incredible. Visually intimidating, but you realize that you actually have a lot of room in the fairways. But yes, sand, sand everywhere 🤣 Every hole is unique, and none are boring. The beverage cart came around twice, and we didn’t tee off until after 2pm. They have a cool outside bar that has an attached automated driving range. All in all, l can’t wait to return.

The Disney Wilderness Preserve is a protected nature preserve in Kissimmee, Florida. The preserve is home to over 1000 species of plants and animals, including alligators, deer, and panthers. The Nature Conservancy operates the park, which is part of the Everglades ecosystem.
It is a very nice place with beautiful and clearly marked trails. Most of the sections of the trails are covered with thick grass like a carpet, very comfortable to walk. There were many animal droppings and birds. So the reservation is successful.

Great trails for all the family!
The entrance and parking are all completely free. There are also electric vehicle charging points available.
They have very clean restrooms available at the start of the trails.
The trails have plenty of options for all ages and abilities. Don't miss the views over the lake.
We saw lots of wildlife and were lucky enough to find a friendly corn snake on the path.
Such a beautiful place away from the busy world.
Definitely recommend you visit!

One of the best outdoor experiences in Florida that is free for you and your family. You can walk along various trails to see tons of cool animals and plant life. There are multiple ponds all over with the main lake towards the center of the preserve. We were on the look out for gator’s, but did not see any. PLEASE NOTE we had our kiddo with us and thankfully we brought our hiking stroller. There are trails, but you will need a jogging/hiking stroller with air in the wheels. The rubber wheeled strollers will not do you any good here!

Free hiking trail in the Kissimmee area. It is closed on Sunday's. Wide open trails so best to do when it is not spring or summer. Muddy and flooded in some spots. It's worth checking out if you are in the area. Very easy terrain too.

This is a nice clear trail to walk through. No crazy wild animals, not that I seen. Just make sure to bring your water if you plan to do the six mile hike

I came here in the morning and it was empty only me and 3 other cars. The welcome area has trail maps, gendered bathrooms, picnic tables, and a place to refill water.
I’m not sure exactly which trails I took but the trails were clearly marked and well tended. If don’t run into a single person the entire time I was hiking until the end. Such a beautiful and peaceful place to hike.
Definitely come early, bring a hat, and water because there is no shade. I left around 11:30am because the sun was getting too intense for me.

Wish my walking partner Casper was here with me .
But this is a beautiful place to walk and just enjoy hearing the birds chirp and the wind blow .

The Nature Conservancy's Disney Wilderness Preserve is a beautiful place to appreciate and visit. It has an interesting history. Very pretty and peaceful. Please note this is a nature PRESERVE and not a nature park. Activities and facilities are limited, by design. There are beautiful trails, clean bathrooms, and friendly staff. Admission is free. Ample parking. Highly recommended.

It's surprisingly amazing, easy trail surrounded by beautiful trees and plants. We spotted a couple unique birds (a red mark on the head) with their baby wondering on the grass, it's a well managed park and very healing environment.

Well kept, bathrooms available, map available, 4 different trails, several picnic tables, cute spot for kids, quiet, filled with dragonflies, frogs, and butterflies.

We love doing the trails here. The entrance it is completely free. They had restrooms at the beginning and they are clean. They have plenty of parking for electric and handicap. The trails are well maintained and we took our little wagon in case the kids get tired. There is not enough shade so take plenty of water and sunscreen but we had a great time and got to see some animals along the trail.

Lovely quiet place to visit with 4 trails from the very short up to about 4 miles. Take bug spray and good shoes as many parts were flooded on the paths . Toilets at the start/finish and ample parking

There are 3 different trails/loops you can take varying in length. Parts are concrete others are uneven ground. The restrooms were clean. There's a few picnic tables, under shade. We went during lunchtime, and my kids are noisy, so we didn't see any animals. I imagine early morning/late afternoon would be best. There is not much shade on the trails. I would go again, but not during the hottest part of the day.
