This is a nice small casino with a colorful upbeat look to it. I wonder if the management would be kind enough to let us know via a response to this review if and when the second floor (upstairs) will be back in operation? The upstairs had several fun older style slot machines and some of us really do miss it. News about whether it is coming back or not would be very appreciated.

Gaudy decor, weird smells, A TON of employees (that helps the local economy I suppose), only one level of gaming, very little to almost zero payouts on any machines (I've been to Vegas and know better to play table games), expensive drinks and food reflecting the absolute lack of attention to detail or care. I'm a chef and I was appalled, neverless disappointed. You'd think in a place that makes MILLIONS per year on electronic gaming alone would offer something close to a 2 or 3 star worthy food rating AND make it affordable? Nope. This place represents many sins, but, the food and beverage costs are unacceptable. I only pop in here once or twice a year and I'm reminded why with a new, bad experience each time. Sad it was the first and only time I've eaten there. In my 30 years working in kitchens all over the US, I can confidently say Argosy should not serve food without a complete overhaul of their staff back there.

I've been back to Argosy a few times lately, really like the improvements made and I heard they are now getting a steak house which is a definite plus...really like the additional casino floor space....still would like to see a few more slots, but overall, for a small quaint casino, not too shabby with the improvements made!

They have recently installed metal detectors you must walk through and empty your pockets before entering the casino. This really doesn't give an inviting welcome and is extremely over the top. This is not the airport, if security is the issue than you need to hire more security guards, not metal detect/pat down/wand your patrons. We stopped by with family after spending the day in Grafton and were all surprised by this new entry regulation. Needless to say we have no intention of returning.

This was my favorite casino until tonight. They got rid of all the keno machines and replaced them with video poker. Only one of those machines has keno, and it only has Keno, Multi Card Keno, and Caveman Keno. The denomination values available to play only consist of 5-cents, 25-cents, and one dollar. The staff working the entry are normally happy and upbeat, which always created for a warm and inviting feeling. Today they asked if it was our first time there today, which was pretty odd. The casino had a strange, eerie vibe that we had never experienced before. We won't be back. It was fun while it lasted.

Not a bad casino. I did wait about 15 minutes to get a drink. There were only two of us at the bar but everybody that walked up to the service side got served immedietly. Meanwhile I'm sitting at the bar watching everyone get their drinks. No apology, not a word from the tender of why i was still waiting.
As far as the games themselves... the machines were pretty tight. It was Sunday night so i thought they would be a little more friendly.. lol. Also they had a decent craps fans going and a few people at the BJ table. My first visit. I give it a 6-7 on the 10 point scale.

We ate at the grill. The food was cold. We were the only ones in the dining room at the time. The wing would have been so much better hot. The potatoes were not warm again the gravy would have sooo much better warm. The waitress was great, very warm and inviting.

This place is nice. Very colorful. Loose slots and very friendly people. I'm hoping that soon the live entertainment and the larger choice of food will return which was shut down do to the pandemic yet at this time, there is still much fun to be had. Argosy will help with all your needs like directing you to gamblers anonymous if needed. Also providing handicap availability.
Assmartech — Google review
Horrible don’t waste your money or time. Customers are literally thrown out at 10 minutes before actual closing time. The facility only has 1 level instead of 3 which it started with and all the older machines I play are gone so I was very disappointed. Will not be returning didn’t want to give it 1 star.

Always clean. Calm atmosphere. Fun slots and games. Bloody Mary's 6/10 but definitely enjoyable. Affordable drink prices.

I gave 2 stars for the memories I've shared with my family there, back in the 90s/early 2000s. However, things have taken a dramatic turn for the worse. I won't blame those new slots at the local bars. This is on the casino. First off, the top 2 floors are now restaurant's instead of slot machine options. 2ndly, they've taken the best machines and removed them and replaced them with the Almighty penny machines, which btw, do absolutely nothing but take take take! Example, I played $1 per spin and on average hit 35 cents!? This isn't winning it's losing in a BIG way! Maybe I'll have a dream about Alton Belle when it used to be awesome! That'll be a really nice dream!

The head of security, George, has to be the dumbest, most clueless wannabe cops I've ever met. I told him I can't go through the metal detectors or get wanded because I have a pacemaker. He's so arrogant he won't listen to the fact that pacemakers and metal detectors (even the wand) can't mix. Despite a medical card, proof and an adult conversation, George wanted to play tough guy. His bosses should be ashamed of his pathetic actions. I hope you guys review your policies and teach your head of security how the world works intead of having him enforce his ignorance like a mentally challenged boy lost in the village.

Small casino and not much excitement. Comps are next to nothing and drinks and food are overpriced. Business at this place has gone down big time since Illinois decided to allow gaming at bars and restaurants. You would think they would offer drink specials or cheap food to compete with them. I guess they don't care.

I visited Argosy Casino in Alton, Illinois for the first time for dinner at the buffet. I'm not a gambler, but we did walk around the gaming floor and played a few games. The dinner buffet was ok. There wasn't a huge selection like at other casinos, but it wasn't too bad. I was full. Walking around the gaming floor wasn't too bad either. We did play a few games. There wasn't a line for us to get the playing card and it was an easy process. I will say that I've visited other casinos in the area and this one was the smallest I've ever been too. We drove from St. Louis where the casinos are bigger, have more clubs/restaurants and much bigger buffets. The Argosy Casino is quaint and was great for us to experience being that it was my first time. We did go on an evening during the week and their still wasn't too many people there which was nice for us as we didn't have to fight through crowds. If you're looking for a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, this was a great spot. The drive in from St. Louis was amazing scenery as well from seeing the sunset over the rivers to the cute town of Alton.

Unfortunately we went to the Riverside Grill for dinner. It is a poorly managed restaurant. Tables were dirty. Staff just didn't seem to care at all. My salad was given to the table next to me who literally just sat down. So when my overcooked steak came my salad arrived at the same time. While the guy at the table next to me finished my salad just in time for my steak to arrive. Overall a very miserable experience. They really need to get their act together.

Always a fun time. 4 stars cause I lost. Next time I'll give 5 stars if I win lol
Interactive science activities such as archaeological digging & making music from random objects.
Amazing place for kids and even for adult. You can spend a whole day with your kids. Nice place for organizing a party also. Staff are also helpful. All activities are so much fun with some leaning.

Such a neat little place to let the kids play! We went for a school field trip, and it's nice to have everything in one place. Unlike some bigger places, it's relatively easy to keep track of the kiddos! I highly recommend checking it out at least once or periodically!
Celsi Lyons — Google review
I really enjoyed bringing my kids here for an afternoon of fun with Friends. They loved exploring and checking out each interactive area. We spent most of an afternoon going from room to room checking out each activity. My kids were 1 and 4 and had a lot of fun. Older kids would also enjoy being able to understand a little more. My kiddo's grandparents have also taken them back since and they enjoyed the time there as well! I'd recommend for one on one time with your kid or bringing a group!

Simply an amazing time! We came here for my niece's birthday, and the private room was so nice for the event. The employees were incredible with our children, and helped them make slime, and served the cake. Our kids had the best time playing and the entire center was safe and secure, so they could explore the exhibits freely. I would recommend the Myseum to anyone! Such fun for kids and the kids at heart.

We had my grandsons birthday party there and all the kids had a blast. They were really busy and there were several parties going on before, during and after ours so things were a little hectic. Lots of different activities to keep the kiddos busy.

This place was incredible! I loved it! In fact we loved it! I took a toddler and two teens and we all found something to enjoy! It's great for kids of all ages especially the young ones because there are play areas and plenty of areas for parents to sit. They have a cafe area that has a playhouse and you can bring in outside food to eat. The dinosaur exhibit and the children's vet areas are my favorite. It's also based on science so kids are learning while they play. We went on a weekday and it wasn't crowded so we had plenty of time to play. They also had a small gift shop so that was an added plus to get the two year old out when it was time to go☺️ It's pretty easy to find and it's neighbored by another store in somewhat of a strip mall. That also close at 3 on weekdays.

I brought my 12 year old son for a couple of hours. He had been asking to go all summer. But, honestly, there wasn't a lot for him to do. The only thing he really did like was at the end with the optical illusions. The Tesla Coil exhibit was shut off since it scared a child. So, that was a bummer as well.
Mary Makler — Google review
This place is great especially when its not too busy. It’s way more affordable than magic house and my kids have as good as a time or better. Tons of activities and areas to explore and great for all young aged kids. Both my 1 and 3 year old love coming here.

Myseum is such a fun interactive museum for all ages. They have a toddler area, slide, bounce house, and many different activities that most ages will enjoy. There's also a gift shop as well. They offer birthday parties and school field trips. The admission price is very affordable as well. Would recommend anyone with little ones to check this place out!

Great place for kids, probably up to 12 yrs.
- Wonderful place for a group trip, and they have group pricing.
-Check their website! They post the scheduled groups or field trips so you can avoid super busy times.
- Be sure to wear socks.
Alexa Tischler — Google review
Our family took an impromptu visit to the Myseum. We were in the Town & Country village and just happened upon the kid’s science activity center. We did not ahead of time know the hours or price. We arrived just an hour and a half before closing. Our kids were immediately excited just seeing all the colors and activities and bounce houses on display. The clerk was friendly in his greeting, gave us a rundown of the facility and within minutes we bought tickets and our kids were at play. It was $6.96 per child and 10.95 per adult. I felt it was a little pricey just because in our case we only had a little over an hour to play. We almost saw all the exhibits in 80 minutes but didn’t have much time with each activity. I think 2.5 hours would have been a good amount of time to allot for. Some amenities we did not check out were the trinket store and dining area and toddler area. My boys (10, 7) loved the stem building room and the slide. My girl (3) loved the animal veterinarian room. We went on a Friday at 1:30 as my kids were out of school so it was not too busy so we didn’t have to worry about waiting to use rooms or toys which was nice. We had a great time!

Our favorite spot when we come to St. Louis!! It’s much smaller than Magic House, but there’s plenty to do for a full day of fun for my kids ages 6 and 3. We even got a pizza delivered last time to play longer. (There’s a little cafe area with tables). The kid’s favorite attractions are the super slide and inflatables.
Michelle Kubot — Google review
We enjoyed the time we spent here today. It was a rainy Saturday so it was busy. But it did not feel overwhelming inside. If you have a sensory seeking kiddo there are a lot of outlets for sensory inputs. Good age range of activities to check out and saw several employees cleaning surfaces while we were there. My kids are 8 and 1.5 and they were both very happy!
I will say the bathrooms are too small with how crowded it was there was only one sink in the women’s which is primarily where all the kids end up too.
My daughter pinched her finger pretty good in door of the cages in the zoo. Left a nasty blood blister.

A terrific statue, sans glasses. Robert was a very noble and good human being who justly the honor done to him. Up he showed the world that just because something might appear wonderful it can also be a disability but yet through it all he came through with grace and courage.

Great for teaching kids! You can reach them about genetics and math (size and scale) and then go see his statue. Kids love to sit in his chair or stand next to him/ under his hand. Lovely tribute to Mr. Wadlow.

A real piece of history!! The world's tallest man! Stand next to him and see how you stack up to him. Put your shoe next to his and see the difference. Sit in his specially made chair. You will get lost in it! He is buried in a cemetary very close by. Don't miss stopping by.

This is a fun photo op to make when visiting Alton, Illinois! Robert only lived to be 22 because he got an infection in his feet which killed him. #bucketlist
Robert Wadlow was the tallest man to have ever lived. He was born in Alton in 1918 and at the time of his death in 1940, Wadlow measured 8-feet, 11.1 inches tall. He is named in the Guinness World Records book.

This is a interesting and sad story as he only lived to 22 years old.

Such an interesting bit of history. It's very sobering to see in person how tall he really was and imagine how uncomfortable he must have been his entire life. Worth the visit.

This is a small tribute to the Gentle Giant. It is in a small grass area with brick walkway that is more of an in-memorium of the local celebrity than a it is a park. Nonetheless this is a worthwhile visit because you can stand next to a life sized sculpture and replica chair that he used.

We were so excited to stop and see the statue of the tallest man in the world. It was raining so no one was there. If you are in the area, stop and check it out! Also research Robert Wadlow. Very interesting!!
If you're a fan of Route 66 the way my wife and I are, then this is a must visit place. Lots of historic things about Litchfield and Rt-66 that came thru here.

This museum hasn't been open that long, but it's such a gem. A Norwegian family drove up at the same time I did. I used their phone to take a picture of them. Believe only one spoke English but we were able to communicate just fine. A couple from England also toured. They do ask for donations, but no one twisted my arm. The guy behind the counter was very informative and walked around in the building answering questions, etc. There is on room dedicated to veterans from the area. The museum isn't so large that it's overwhelming. Just the right size to me. I did learn that Milnot, the canned milk was invented in Litchfield by a creamery there. Also Chili Man Chili was also invented by the same creamery. It's a must stop if you like history or anything to do with the Mother Road. Don't forget to walk across the street and eat at the Ariston Cafe. It's been open since 1924.

The Laumeier Sculpture Park is a 105-acre outdoor park located in Saint Louis, Missouri. It features contemporary art installations and frequently hosts concerts and events. The park's grounds are filled with unique sculptures that visitors can enjoy while walking on the trails or simply exploring the area. The park is family-friendly and offers ample parking for visitors to explore its many offerings.
Pretty neat little place and it's free. Came here for a quick walk because I was in the area and was able to check out some of the interesting structures that they had on display. Quite family friendly and ample parking. The trails mostly don't have shade so don't come on a hot day.

At the front of the park is the art gallery where very exquisite art was on display! There were a lot of beautiful art filled with knowledgeable books that were sold at a cost of $5 which are fun table pieces to have for friends! The party leads down into fun filled trails, beautiful art throughout the park, and knowledgeable plaques posted to learn more about the artist and the reason behind the style of art displayed! Beautiful scenery mixed with incredibly large sized art all throughout the park makes for an otter world experience filled with the collision of raw nature and intellectual art! Have fun and soak up the beautiful weather right now!

We LOVED this place. It is very easily walkable even for those who may be differently able. There is also an art museum and educational lab. All the sculptures have braille as well and are easily accessible. 105 access so you can see something new every time but still feel like you've seen so much with each visit. There are some structures that are walkable and interactive, there are some with mantras and thinning pieces, there are others that call you to do more than just look. It was fun for kids and adults alike.

What a lovely park! Such a nice area to spend time outdoors and walk - and the sculptures make it so much more interesting. Great place for a picnic too. Some of the sculptures are pretty neat. And free admission. We only stayed an hour but you could easily stay for several hours if you want to get your steps in.

It was a beautiful, sunny but cool day when we visited, so my review may be biased, but we really enjoyed our adventure at the park. It's expansive enough that you have to walk a significant amount, but we didn't mind that. There are enough pieces and variety that it made for a wonderful experience, getting to see so many different types of outdoor art. We would definitely come back during the spring to see how everything changes..

I came here last week with my dog to explore a new park in the STL area. When I came here, the weather was cool and gloomy, which was decent for going for a long walk. Since I came the day after a rainy day, I stayed on paved pathways to avoid muddy trails. I enjoyed my walk in the park with small, medium, and large sculptures to admire and read the story behind them. I had a great time here with all the different sculptures to see. I highly recommend seeing this park while in the STL area.

It was far better about 10 years ago when I took my kids. We literally just went there for a walk and it seemed like a lot of the sculptures were only accessible if you crossed the bunch of grass. I was hoping there would be more defined walkways that went to each one of them and it seemed like many were missing or just so far away that I couldn't find them

The Saint Louis Zoo is a world-renowned institution and one of the top zoos in the country. It features animals such as penguins, bears, and elephants, as well as a train ride. Admission is completely free for visitors, but some attractions are ticketed.
What a great time! This was for my sons class field trip. The animals were all out, not hiding in the back. I love that people have to make reservations to be there. I think that helps so it is not so crowded. So much better not walking into people every time you turn around. Was able to get some great pics of the animals. Enjoy!!

The zoo is free, but the parking is $15.
We started our day with a behind the scenes giraffe tour. I posted a tour review under the link for the giraffes.
We also watched a mini sea lion show. It was a mini show because they are practicing for the full length shows that will start in a couple of weeks.
The zoo is kept clean, and the people who work there seems to really love their jobs. Most of them were very happy to share so much information with us about the animals. Many of the buildings are historical, with a few that were built for the World’s Fair.
The exhibits had information for each animal. I appreciate the numerous signs asking patrons to not bother/harass the animals, and a phone number to allow anyone who witnesses concerning behavior to report it.
I would love to see most of the animals in bigger enclosures. Even if that meant they had fewer varieties of animals. I did appreciate that most of the exhibits had a wide variety of live plants and trees in them.
Our funnel cake was delicious. The gift shop staff was very nice. We loved our visit!

The most beautiful and fun part of the St. Louis zoo are the gorgeous native wildflowers in bloom! I loved to see interesting pollinators at work. Great idea to start replacing the stinky fuel trains with electric trains. I prefer the train ride connection around the elephant house as opposed to the stinky train rides through dark tunnels. We were expecting to see more sights from the train and we can't recommend the added expense! The penguin and puffin indoor exhibits were a fantastic way to cool off from the heat and sun. They are so amazingly cute! I loved walking through the butterfly enclosure for close encounters with a nice variety of butterflies. The grizzly bears were fascinating to see eating what looked like frozen blocks of food. They showed their intelligence using various strategies to break apart the food blocks. I was deeply sad to witness the tiny enclosure for the polar bear and wish it a happy and free life in a better, more wild place. I hope that it can be given more room to move, swim and be free. 🐻❄️ This zoo would get a higher rating from me if it weren't for how upsetting it is to see our cramped polar bear friend trapped and sad.

As a St Louis resident, the STL zoo is my number one favorite place to hang out in the city.
Whether it’s busy or slow, hot & humid or cold & rainy this is always the place I am always drawn too.
If you are just visiting the city the zoo needs to be on your list of places to visit.
It has 2 entrances and both are easily accessible. It’s free to enter and there is so much to see. Every person who works here is friendly, knowledgeable and works to create a great experience.
The facilities are always clean and there are so many vending choices that there is rarely a wait. You can also always bring your own picnic in and eat in the grassy field areas in the middle of the park. It’s a nice quiet space with picnic tables and lots of grass to get away with your group for a bit and eat or just chill for a bit.
If it’s super hot or cold you can always count on enjoying the bug house. It’s indoors and it’s wonderful for kids. Then at the end you can walk through the temp controlled butterfly dome which is just amazing.
Seriously do not hesitate to visit this place, it’s a true gem of the city.

Great zoo. We were traveling through the area and stayed an extra day based on the recommendation of friends. We were not disappointed in the least. We spent the day there with our 3-year old and had a great time. The zoo has a great layout and is very clean. Staff was also very helpful and friendly.

We love the St Louis Zoo for many reasons. Most recently, we visited for event called Animals Aglow. The animals, of course, are the best part. The atmosphere is always wonderful. They have some great events the whole family can enjoy, such as Boo at the Zoo and Christmas lights. Last but not least, the admission to enter the Zoo is free.

I love the St. Louis Zoo! It’s really the perfect size where you can see everything in one visit but there is still a lot to see. The Penguin exhibit is one of the nicest I’ve ever see and definitely my favorite of the exhibits and it was the only place besides food vendors and gift shops that we ever ran into lines even when there tickets were sold out. If you’re going during busy times- weekends, holidays, spring break, summer break I’d definitely recommend making reservations ahead of time. It also took us about 45 minutes to park on a nice day so keep that in mind parking when you’re planning your day at the zoo.

Beautiful zoo! And it is free! They charge for a few of the attractions but they are geared more for smaller kids (Dino, train, petting stingray.) The bird house was one of my favorite exhibits. We also loved the penguin exhibit and how close we were able to get to them. It felt like we entered their habitat, but without disturbing them. Oh, and the Grizzlies! Really, a great zoo.

This is one of the best zoo in the US. This place is huge. It’s FREE. Only charge $15/ vehicle for parking. It’s a lot better than Washington DC Smithsonian zoo. Each habitat was well maintained. Animals were healthy and happy. Be sure to bring good walking shoes. We spent about 3.5 hours here. And walked about 4 miles. We wanted to see all of them. And for us the highlight was definitely penguins exhibit. We got to see them so close. This is by far my favorite zoo.

Fantastic zoo!!! If you plan on seeing the whole thing, I would highly suggest planning for a whole day there as the zoo is huge!!! The dinosaurs are worth the money, super cool, and the kids loved it! The train is nice but you're not allowed to bring any stroller on which can be difficult when you have small children. This zoo is so much fun, and is great exercise!
Savanna Sprague — Google review
Amazing! If you love penguins, you have to go to this zoo. It's free to visit, but $15 to park. For $8, you can get a wristband to ride the train all day long. It is great for traveling between sections of the zoo, especially on a hot day.

Free zoo! Visited on Labor Day weekend (Saturday at 11 AM). It took a long time to get parking and it was hard to find spots (there is a fee to park). A lot of people parked across the bridge and walked.
It was very hot out so many of the animals were sleeping. We were able to bring in reusable water bottles and a few snacks.
The butterfly room is really special. I would recommend going early in the morning.

What can I say. You can't beat free. But for real this zoo was amazing. I wish I had more time to visit all the exhibits. The park was clean and wasn't overcrowded when I went. They have a huge selection of animals to look at. Plenty of spots to sit down and eat and of course gift shops . I'll definitely want to come back if I visit Saint Louis again. It's a great spot for family trip.

This is a beautiful zoo located in Forrest Park! It was very clean and had wide, accessible paths. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We went on a Monday at opening. It is free to get in and view your favorite animals!! I would check the website for the things that cost money. There is a mini train that encircles the property that does have a fee, for instance. Parking at the site is $15. My husband and I parked at a free lot, near the art museum, that was a 5 minute walk away! Loved this place!

We loved going to the Zoo! Growing up in San Diego we always loved the San Diego Zoo so it was a fun experience and see another large Zoo. Free admission is amazing! Buying the additional attractions is a fun plus for those who want a few extra things to do. The wrist bands made it easy to walk into the extra attractions without having to keep track of tickets. It was clean and well kept. If you are a member of the Zoo the attraction tickets are 50% off. If you are a member of any local Zoo they will honor the 50% off as long as you show the active membership. I didn't know that until I walked up to the window to purchase our tickets, so that was a bonus! We went during the Halloween season and the decorations were awesome! We ate lunch at the Lakeside Cafe. The lines looked long but they were pumping food out quickly. The standard kid friendly options are available and some adult options as well. They did offer alcohol, limited selection but it was offered at a reasonable price actually. The food wasn't crazy priced either, but what you would expect from any fast food place in 2023. Getting around was easy even when it got congested with people. It was a cooler day when we went so the animals were active and out playing. Overall it was a great experience all day and we will definitely make our way back to spend more time looking at all the animals.

Keeping in mind that I have only been to this zoo... I can never get enough! We are annual zoo members to the St. Louis zoo, we enjoy supporting their various conservation efforts, as well as their animal variety. We, as a zoo family, have watched many of their enhabitants grow from babies alongside our own growing family. They have a lot to experience and have many "pay to experience" options as well such as stingrays and giraffe feedings. We love that our annual zoo sippers can be reused year after year, so everyone has their own favorite color and animal. Their parking is reasonable for a family or large group, but they offer free nearby lots as well. They have many accessibility options like wheelchairs, scooters, strollers, and sensory kits, making it fun for the whole family! They have a ton of food options and misting fans to cool off in the hot summers. If you haven't been, I recommend going at least once to see all that the zoo offers.

This zoo was really good. We had some of the best animal experiences we have ever had with the penguins and polar bear. We went on a weekday and the weather was cold. It was not busy and the animals were active. We would happily return or recommend to others.
Douglas Hutchings — Google review
Nice zoo. Wasn’t crowded at all. Very hot out would recommend bringing personal fan or coming on a cool day. Gift shop items were reasonably priced. Also if you choose to touch the sting rays be aware of the fact that there Is no soap to wash your hands with. Everything was good except for the fact that you still need to pay for refills with the souvenir cup otherwise great experience.

This free zoo is such a gem. I absolutely love the penguin exhibit. It's cold! There's also a very cool area for children to play and have up close views of animals along the Primate Canopy Trail. There's free street parking or paid lots.
Bonnie Robinson — Google review
Loved our time there! Even though a lot of the animals were MIA this time of year and it was under 40 degrees out, but the ones that were out and about were so fun to watch. Parking was $15, but free admission! That’s amazing that such an awesome zoo is free to the public.
Mel P — Google review
What a great zoo! It was truly a beautiful set up and maintained zoo with plenty to do! The admission was free for the entire family which is a huge plus, and there are a few paid attractions in the zoo which were worth the money, but entirely optional. The food was tasty and prices fairly. The animals looked to be well taken care of and had nice big enclosures. The zoo was huge and had much more to do and see than we were expecting coming from a smaller city with a much smaller zoo. Spent 4 hours here and honestly could have spent even more time to see and do everything. If you enjoy zoos at all this is absolutely a must visit if you're in the area!

We’re from Las Vegas and absolutely LOVE this zoo! It’s FREE ADMISSION and placed in a gorgeous park setting. Food is great, employees are always super nice, and the zoo is large! Lots of wonderful animals to see. If you’re in the area, it’s a MUST visit attraction❤️

This is a beautiful zoo! The vibrant metal art really bring a happy vibe throughout as you're walking through the grounds. It was pleasant surprise and to enter is free! I would definitely recommend this Zoo. I think due to the time of year (late March) much of the food places were closed - but there were tons of options! Parking close is $20 but there is also a lot of street parking if you don't mind walking a little. I look forward to visiting again!

This is a high quality free zoo. I was surprised with how good it actually was. Staff seemed knowledgeable and although it was busy on my visit-lines went by quickly. Parking at the official zoo parking lot cost $15 but I would rather pay that then drive around forever trying to find a place. I always wish animals had more space at every zoo- but I think the upkeep of this zoo surpasses many others I've seen. Great place to pass an hour or two.

What a great experience! There were some animals not out yet, due to the temps, but overall it was fantastic! Definitely recommend this Zoo! The sea lion show was fun and my kids loved it! After 5 hours, we still hadn't seen it all. We will definitely return to finish seeing all the animals.

The St Louis Zoo is one of the best zoos that you will ever visit. It it free to get into the zoo. You can pay for parking, or you can park for free on the street or museum parking lots. The animals are so well taken care of, the enclosures are always clean and you can tell that a lot of work gets put into them. You can bring food or buy food there. The zoovenir cups are a great deal. It's under $2 per refill, any time you come back. The animals are pretty much always easy to see. The kids always have such a great time. I HIGHLY recommend a visit or 3 to this zoo. After you're done, take the path near the south entrance, across the highway and visit Turtle Park. It's very unique and super cute.

I wish I had more time to spend here when we went! First off, its free!! Can't beat free! There are so many amazing exhibits and works of art featured here. My family had a great time venturing around and checking out all the animal enclosures. Will definetly be making this a regular place to visit when in St Louis!

FREE ZOO! Thanks to a local tax that supports museums the St. Louis Zoo charges no admission fee. I've visited since a child but it's been a while.
Some of the same charm remains with upgrades added. Plan on walking a bit.
You can ride a train(about $15) which will take you to the different sections of the zoo exhibits. The train has a wheel chair access car. Pictures are just not good enough. This zoo is worth the visit.
Parking is $20. Some parking spaces available on the streets with an added walk.

Amazing zoo, the best part was how the animals were active all through and the ample space that they were allocated. It was a real treat to see cheetah, tiger, rhino, elephants, etc. The zoo is big and beautifully maintained. The metal sculptures throughout the zoo added to its beauty. The zoo is free to visit but one needs to pay for parking. Free parking is available on streets, but you would need to walk for about 10 mins. It's worth visiting again :-)

We went on Good Friday the last time we visited, so it was packed. When it's not as packed it is even more enjoyable. The animals are well taken care of and the zoo is clean! And free entry is so nice.
Had a great time visiting with Rich Henry at Henry's Ra66it Ranch and got to learn a bit about the ranch's history. And about Route 66 as well! Be sure to stop in - you won't be disappointed!

Rich Henry is a nice fella, lots of interesting stories to tell. The real rabbits are cute. The collection of Volkswagen Rabbits is impressive. A nice place to stop as you go along route 66. Entry is free, he has some memorabilia to buy.

What was most interesting (besides their extensive knowledge about VWs) even more than the vintage VWs out in the elements and their 4 legged namesakes were extensive memorabilia and souvenirs of America's motoring past inside.

Super nice and knowledgeable owner, we enjoyed the long conversation with him. A memorable place to stop on Route 66. Photographers, you won't be disappointed. I read one review down below, it is unfair to criticize the owner and his store hours. Owner posted his hours on website and he closed his shop due to covid-19 restrictions.

You may question the 5-star rating, especially since we didn't get to see or pet any rabbits. However, the catchy "rabbits" (Volkswagens) were fun, and the memorial gravemarkers for the rabbits made for a few interesting moments.

Henry's Rabbit Ranch was such a fun stop on Route 66. Rich Henry is really nice and helpful. The ranch is part Jack Rabbit Trading Post and part Cadillac Ranch. Worth a visit on your travels.

One of Route 66’s iconic stops, unfortunately for us it was closed the day we stopped. It looks like very eclectic from the outside and it would have been nice to have visited. This is something we found with a lot of the “iconic” Route 66 stops during our cross country trip.

We visited Henry's Rabbit Ranch right as he was leaving for the day. But he was kind enough to spend some time with us. We talked about the ranch and such. But we didn't want to hold him up too long. So we looked around and took some pictures. It was great for me, since I also had a past with the era of most of the Rabbit cars he had. It brought back a lot of memories.
Although we didn't get to see the actual live rabbits. We were appreciative of the time we had, with trying not to be imposing. As such, we had a pretty good time at this unique roadside attraction.

I very much enjoy any time I get to come by the ranch. I have visited both for fun and for titling work and I was happy both times with my experience. So many cool items on display and I love the Campbells 66 trailers. Thank you Henry!
The Missouri Botanical Garden is a beautiful botanical garden located in St. Louis, Missouri. It contains a wide variety of plants and flowers, as well as a number of greenhouses and gardens. The gardens are open to the public during the daylight hours, and it is a popular tourist destination.
Went here with my girlfriend the weekend before Christmas. It was a cold, but magical night. The lights and displays were wonderful with a great atmosphere. Taking our time it took us about 2hrs to walk through everything. We had hot chocolate and s'mores by one of the fire pits. If they do it again next year we'll be there!

A really nice family friendly garden. Current under renovations to welcome center area, looks like a big project that will be amazing when completed. We came on Juneteenth for a free day at the gardens. They often have gardening workshops and the kids area of the gardens is amazing! Tons of fun things to play on, a slash pad, and more! Would come back just for the kids area!

Went to Glow lights. Was really nice, cold but nice. Only down fall was they take no cash at all. Only Credit/debit cards. They have a machine you can put cash in and it gives a pay card to use. So if you put $30 you have to use it all there. So unfortunately we were unable to buy hot chocolate, s'mores or any other items they sold. An advance notice on website or even at the door would have been nice. We'd definitely go again. The kids gad lots of fun.

I first visit back in the late summer during a blown glass exhibit; Chihuly items in every corner that were wildly complex and beautiful. I spent almost 7 hours on the grounds and met a very kind guide in one of the out buildings. We talked for an hour and he made me feel at home, educated me on some of the ceiling murals and told me where else to look for great exhibits. The gardens and all the butterflies and wildlife brought me a lot of warm, happy memories. Now that it’s right in my backyard, I’ll get a season pass for 2024. I can’t wait to spend more slow afternoons here.

We went to the Garden Glow last Wednesday, and the Garden looks great! The new lobby and front steps blew me away with how amazing they looked. Everything looks so open and modern! I am a big fan of Glow, and of the garden in general. I love how it's set up, and the sense of peace and calm I get from being among all the flora. The new gift shop looks awesome, and I really like all the learning opportunities presented to guests throughout the garden. This is a St. Louis gem that we are so lucky to have!

This is an awesome botanical garden. It’s very large and there is lots to see and do. We spent a couple hours there and didn’t cover as much as I would have hoped. I would definitely want to come back if I had the opportunity to. There are lots of different garden themes, ponds, and exhibits. It’s really beautiful and well taken care of. It’s perfect for plant and nature lovers!
The Japanese festival aspect was really cool as well. There were some fun food options and a lot of people dressed up for it. It was fun to see a celebration of Japanese culture at the gardens.
Because we went during the Japanese festival, it costed a little more- about $16 a person (special discounts didn’t apply during this particular weekend). It’s usually $14 a person though. We waited just a few minutes to get in because we bought tickets in advance. I would recommend buying ahead if its a busier time or a festival is taking place. I have heard weekdays and mornings are not quite so busy.

Can't wait to come back in late spring when more is in bloom. The gardens are massive, you could spend all day enjoying and exploring. Beautiful well kept grounds take you on a journey. Looked like a really beautiful place. I guess we shouldn't have been, but we were surprised there was an entrance fee. We were hoping to just wander around for a little while. We did check out the gift shop and there were many cute items. Parking was easy and that was free. If we are in town again maybe we can plan to spend more time there and the fee would be worth it.

Went to view their lights. Very impressive and well organized for the amount of people who are visiting. The parking lots fill up and while it may be intimidating to find street parking, I did get pretty lucky. Can’t say that the experience will be shared by others, but don’t feel overwhelmed! It’s a one way trail to enjoy the lights, so be sure to enjoy everything as you come across!

What a beautiful botanical gardens right in the middle of a charming neighborhood. I think they said it was 76 acres. It was a perfect day to go. Mid-60's and sunny in March. I was surprised how many plants and trees were already in full bloom outside. They also have some great indoor areas. The glass dome was full of gorgeous plants and trees, with waterfalls and flowing water throughout. I loved the Japanese garden areas so much. So beautiful and relaxing. There were little pools with great statues around the grounds. I saw that there was a restaurant with cute outdoor seating, but we didn't eat there. Great store with so many fantastic and unique items/gifts. There were lots of people, but at most times, we didn't feel like it was too crowded. We enjoyed our visit.

The Japanese garden was absolutely beautiful and bloom. The climatron was very clean and and lots of room to move around. It's still early in the year so not a lot of things were blooming yet. The magnolia trees were very fragrant. Everyone was very helpful and polite. Definitely going back later on in the year when more things are in bloom.

This is just a review of the Garden Glow for the Holidays. It's open until 10pm, so the later you go, the less crowds. When we were leaving at 8:30, it was considerably thinning out. Lots of very cool light displays. Very organized as you are directed along a route. The regular garden displays are not open. Only a portion of the garden is lit up.Nice photo opportunities set up along the way. It's a little expensive but worth the money at least once. Also a great way to get some fresh outdoor air at this time of year.

The Missouri Botanical Garden is truly one of the most spectacular gardens you can visit anywhere and one of the top places to go in St. Louis.
Whether they've got an exhibit going or it's just the "normal" experience you're sure to have a fantastic time in this picturesque location. The photos in this review are from the 2023 Chihuly Exhibit.
There are plenty of restrooms scattered about the Garden, as well as many benches if you need a rest or would just like to sit and contemplate your surroundings.
I would recommend setting aside at least 2-3 hours for a visit, more if you want to see everything at a leisurely pace.

The Missouri Botanical Gardens is like an oasis in the middle of bustling St. Louis City. Though it is a ticketed entry ($14/adult for non-STL residents), it is worth every penny (especially when you're saving on all of the free things to do around the city). We took our teenager at the end of summer, who is big into science and biology. She left saying that she was only familiar with maybe 10% of what she saw before visiting the gardens. There is a wide variety of plant life all throughout.
The gardens and walkways are meticulously manicured, all amenities sparkling clean, staff are friendly and helpful, and the giftshop well stocked and making you want to spend more and support the gardens. I LOVE that there are multiple spots throughout the garden where you can purchase small plants. 🪴 There are resources for the seasoned gardener as well as beginners and students.
Love the various sections of the gardens and how well marked they are. There are free days to visit and a summer-concert series, as well as various special ticketed events. I hope to become a member in the future when I have more time to visit. The membership is affordable and will keep you coming back again and again to enjoy the natural beauty.

Very impressed. It's huge with a wide variety of theme areas. We didn't have kids with us, so I didn't do more than a quick visit to the children's garden. It looked like a lot of fun. There were other areas that appealed to kids & allowed them to play. Great value!

Note: If you are Missouri residents tickets would be half of the price. Bring your proof with you
It was a beautiful space and everyone was so helpful in the lobby area. This garden is an absolute must-visit, offering a serene and picturesque oasis right in the heart of the city.
The cherry blossoms were in full bloom during my visit, creating a breathtaking display of delicate pink petals against the clear blue sky. It was the perfect backdrop for leisurely strolls and memorable photo opportunities. The garden's layout is thoughtfully designed, with well-maintained paths that meander through a diverse range of flora and themed areas.

It's so big and a lot of trails to explore. There are a lot of different areas or "regions" to see. We went late fall so a lot of the water fountains were off or not running, and the colors were not as bright on the plants but still a go walk. The climatron was gorgeous inside and so much to look at. I would do that again and again. Tickets are reasonable, and parking is free. Wish they had better food options. Very limited, so we thankfully brought something to drink and snack on for ourselves.

I recently visited the Missouri Botanical Garden during their Garden Glow event and it was a truly magical experience. The moment I stepped into the garden, I was transported into a world of enchantment and beauty.
The Garden Glow event is an incredible display of thousands of twinkling lights that illuminate the garden in the most spectacular way. Every corner is adorned with colorful lights, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere that left me in awe. The attention to detail in the light installations is truly remarkable and it's clear that a lot of effort was put into creating this magical ambiance.
Walking through the garden, I was greeted by a variety of themed displays that were both whimsical and breathtaking. From the dazzling light tunnels that led me to different parts of the garden, to the sparkling light sculptures that depicted various animals and plants, every turn was a delightful surprise. The garden truly comes alive at night during this event, creating a memorable experience for visitors of all ages.
Aside from the enchanting lights, the Missouri Botanical Garden also offers various activities and entertainment during the Garden Glow event. From live music performances to fire pits where you can cozy up and enjoy a warm drink, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The festive atmosphere and lively energy added an extra layer of joy to the overall experience.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Missouri Botanical Garden during their Garden Glow event. It's a truly magical experience that will leave you with lasting memories. The combination of the stunning light displays, festive activities, and warm atmosphere make it a must-see attraction during the holiday season.

I totally adored the Missouri Botanical Garden! It's like a hidden gem in the heart of Saint Louis. The vibe there is so chill, and everything is just perfectly kept. Plus, parking's easy, and the entry fees won't break the bank. The staff? Super friendly and welcoming. They even have cool volunteer gigs if you're into that. I snapped some pics in March, but can't wait for spring when everything's in full bloom. Seriously, go check it out!

Beautiful garden and VERY large! You could easily spend 2-4 hours here. We really loved this place, but for my husband, kid, and I, it was $48. My brother is local and it was free for him and his kid. $48 felt steep for an hour walk and a teenager that was only there because had to be. Teens should be $6 with a paying adult like the locals later in the day, if not free like the 12 and unders.

Visiting St. Louis and this is listed as one of the top places to visit/do. This was really disappointing. I have visited several Botanical gardens this time of year in several different states and this is the only one charging full price when mostly everything here outside is dead except a few tulips and daffodils...I rated this botanical gardens a 2 out of 5 because I really enjoyed the dome. Other than that.. save your money and wait until May or so to see when everything blooms.

It's reasonably priced for admission. It's beautiful, the views from the random spots you can sit along the way around a particular area are all great.
If you use the train, the drivers are all great and super knowledgeable about the flora.
The glass artist that was on display had some stunning work.

Restaurant: zero stars
Gardens: five Stars
We waited over an hour for 1/2 of a grilled cheese and chips (it arrived stone cold and was inedible for $14) and the egg and ham sandwich (which arrived missing ingredients and since it is order and then get your food brought to you service there was no way to get this fixed since the girl of the ordering counter absolutely did not care at all about doing any sort of job). I did not want the sandwich, but ordered it because they were out of what was actually good on the menu. So be prepared for that as well.
The gardens themselves were wonderful and I desperately wish we had simply skipped the cafe so that we could truly enjoy them instead of having our time eaten into with very bad food that was highly overpriced and ridiculously long awaited.
The City Museum of St. Louis is an impressive performing arts center made entirely out of found objects. It provides a fun and frivolous setting for artists to exhibit their work, while also being a serious architectural and artistic project.
This place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! If you get a chance, go! Doesn't matter if you have kids or not. The art is wonderful and the kids had an absolute blast! So much to see and do. My kids and I spent 4 hours here and I feel like we barely scraped the surface. The cave system is awesome. And all the slides take it to the next level!

Amazing place for everyone. Toddlers to bigger kids to teenagers and adults. You could spend hours here and keep finding amazing things. The food isn't crazy experience either so you can spend the day here. They were super great with our large group over the weekend. We had about 90 people in our group and they were super accommodating and there were no issues.

This is the most amazing museum we've seen. It is a total immersive experience that bring you from one world to another completely different world. It has an aquarium, and many indoor and outdoor playground, plus an open rooftop. It is literally a playground for both kids and adults. What are you like to climb and crawl, or just walk without any strenuous moves, there is always a path to explore all the hidden gems in this museum in ways that you are comfortable. And it has so many spaces and so many ways to see things that you can spend days getting lost in these world. And even if you come back again and again, the experience can still be completely different. We highly recommend this as a must visit if you ever come to St. Louis.

City Museum is one of the hardest places on earth to describe. It’s fun for kids and adults alike to explore this massive building with all sorts of oddities, places to crawl and explore, and climb. You might be crawling through narrow spaces on your hands and knees or suddenly exploring caves. They have an outdoor area with massive metal structures to climb as well as a unique rooftop area (open seasonally during the warm months) with things that you must see to believe.
I highly recommend getting knee pads for just about anyone who is going to explore anything here. You have to explore and play at your own risk and be cautious. If you do have kids with you, it will be easy to lose them as some slides go between floors and it may not be quick or easy to catch up.
The space is well maintained and the staff is generally very friendly and helpful when needed. There are snacks available on the second floor and there’s a bar on the third floor. They have lockers available to rent and it’s worth it to have a place to stash items since you will work up a sweat and it may be easy to lose valuables.
This is one of the most unique places I’ve ever been to and something that I’d consider a must visit attraction for anyone coming to Saint Louis for the first time. Don’t skip this and take your time exploring since there’s a lot to see.

This place is an amazing place to visit. We didn't get to do much of the outdoor equipment, so try to plan to come on a nice day. If you want to do everything you better plan a day for this. It's massive inside!
Kids of all ages are welcome here.... And I stress ALL ages. Even the grown up kids, that have their own kids. Just plan to run and climb all over the place. Adults can climb most everything without an issue. There are narrow areas, but fairly easy to squeeze through. It's a good time!

I truly love this place. If you go to St. LOUIS, the City Museum is a must-see/do! Since college, I've enjoyed exploring this multi-story playground filled with amazing works of art and pieces of St. Louis. I had the privilege of bringing my kids for the first time and they had a blast.

You have got to take your children here! I visited as the parent of adult children. I wish I had taken my kids here. This place is amazing. Be sure to give your kids a quiet break every once in a while because it’s really overwhelming for little ones. The employees are polite and thoughtful and knowledgeable. There’s something for everybody here to see or enjoy. The views from the rooftop are nice. The young man running the Ferris wheel day I visited was very entertaining and really seemed to enjoy his job. I wish someone would check on the antique cabinets because items are falling off the front of the shelves. I’m looking forward to returning

Such a cool concept. A beautiful and strange interactive experience that was just as much fun for me as it was for the kids. Only thing that prevented this from being five stars was the rooftop closed during our visit, after we had bought tickets for it, due to heat/lack of staffing before we got up there and they do not offer refunds, only rain checks. Since we aren't from the area (and I'm sure a large number of other visitors are not local) there's no way we'd have been able to come back.

What an absolutely awesome experience for kids and adults! You have to be fairly nimble but there's fun to be had from all. Even just walking through and checking things out is pretty neat. One of our favorite Parts was the seven story slide, it was really fast and an absolute blast! Parking was easy and a good time was had by all. The only negative that I can really think of is St Louis is not nearly as nice overall as many big cities I've been to but, of course, this has nothing to do with the quality of the museum.

Love this place! The most extreme climb is definitely on the rooftop. If you’re coming for a single day then just get the roof pass and do it. Such a fun place to spend hours, always something new, food, everything to stay entertained.

This has got to be one of the most unique places I have ever been. Literally everywhere you look is a place to climb or slide. A lot of this place is mosaic tile that is absolutely beautiful. We spent around 3 hours here and didn't get to see the whole thing because of how massive this place is. We have a 3 year old that would not sit still, he had to see and explore everything. There are endless thing for kids to do here. Unfortunately we were not able to get on the roof because of weather, but we still had an amazing time. Id recommend this place if you have kids and want to see something like you've never seen before. I cannot say enough about this place and how much fun we had, we will definitely be back!

If Mad Max had a Kids Palace this would be the destination!! What an adventure. So much climbing and birth canals secret tunnels!! make me wish I had knee pads and a headlamp. There is so much to climb!! Then Slide! It’s one big cavernous Jungle gym! Your inner child will be revealed and there is even an old school pinball section. We didn’t get a chance to see all the outdoor activities like the Ferris wheel school bus etc… because it was winter;(

I used to come here when I was a little kid. I remember it being one of the craziest but most awesome places I had ever been to. Now that I’ve visited it as an adult I have to say that little kid me was ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! I have never in my life been through a more endless and fascinating place like the museum’s cave system. It can be a tight squeeze sometimes, but the sheer wonder of it all makes it worth it! You see one little crack in the wall, something you wouldn’t normally ever consider a pathway, but when you peek in you realize it’s a tunnel that leads deep into the walls and high above. There are a million endless routes, all of which bring you to one awesome lookout or another. I HIGHLY recommend you bring your kids here, even teenagers and adults can get a kick out of the place, you just have to be willing to explore a little! (Although if you are claustrophobic or have a fear of the dark, this place’s tunnels are NOT for you!) the outdoor metal structures are also loads of fun to climb and get a good view of the museum, so I would suggest visiting on a day with good weather! Although, I will warn that you may want to bring a packet of antibacterial wipes, as you’re going to be on your hands and knees touching and squeezing through all sorts of stuff that a million people have touched before you, so even the non-germaphobes might want something to clean up with!

The City Museum is unique in the way that it feels like intentional chaos. It’s almost like an interactive art museum. The playgrounds/ climbing/sliding structures are very unique. Most of them go from one floor to another (I think there were a few that went between three floors). The day that we went the museum was packed and with the play structures being so big and behind walls and going floor to floor, it was extremely stressful trying to keep up with the children with our group. If you are expecting an organized, learning environment for kids, this is not it. This isn’t the kind of museum that has different learning stations, everything just randomly turns into something else. You go from a winding metal structure for kids to climb on to a wall of antiques with no explanation. The one real station I saw amidst the chaos was a toddler area where some big kids had taken over and there were no workers to be seen. We were there for several hours and I only ever saw one worker. There’s no one there to help parents FIND their kids when their kids go down a slide when the sign says it ends on one floor but actually ends on another. There were also several things that stood out as red flags to us as being safety concerns/ not up to code.
Maybe it’s not always as busy as it was the day that we went but it was stressful as the parents trying to keep up with kids that go up a set of stairs that go behind a wall and it takes you 5 minutes to find where it comes out.
I will say that the food from the restaurant we ate at was good. (Alcohol available- and after spending time in that museum- I can see why.) 😅
The gift shop souvenirs were about as random as the museum which was kind of funny. My aunt and I joked that the t-shirts in the gift shop should say “I survived the City Museum with all my kids.”

The most redeeming quality of this place is all of the stuff that has been kept out of a landfill. Props to the artists who’ve created a fun place to explore.
My 80s kid at heart did appreciate that there was a lot of space for free play, climbing, exploring.
But… There were WAY too many people in the facility. My husband commented that this may have been where Covid originated. I understand that they are making $20-30 per person, so packing them in makes more money. But limiting the number of people would increase the quality of the experience so much more.
Gift shop idea- sell headphones or ear plugs!!!
It felt like half of the facility was food places, gift shops, and kiosks where you can spend more money.
There appears to be plenty of space in the building that isn’t being used. I’d consider visiting again if they open up new spaces to explore. Otherwise, I most likely won’t return.

This place is so special! It's unlike any other attraction you've ever been to. There is just so much to see and explore, I feel like you can keep going again and again and you'll find something new every time. it's great for all ages - we were a huge group from ages 2-13 plus adults and everyone had the best time. The ONLY thing I will tell you is all the nooks and crannies make it super easy to get lost so you do have to keep a very careful eye on your kids, including knowing where they are going to end up when they go down a slide. But it is absolutely worth the extra effort. We love this weird wacky wonderful museum!

Whoever said this place isn't for adults must be old or boring!! 2 adults in their 30s had a wildly fun time for nearly 5hours! The roof is underwhelming, you don't need to pay more for it. But the inside (and outside) are a blast. Be sure to find the 10story slide (it's kinda hidden in what feels like a boiler room). The circus was cute, and the aquarium had some interesting fish. My only comment is that the seahorse has a sign about how they mate for life and dance with their partner twice a day... but there's only 1 seahorse! I really wish they would adopt another one because that's heart breaking. Oh and your knees will be sore after climbing all of the steel tubes!

My son had a good time. He is 10. He definitely saw it is a cool adventure. If there was a way to ensure he couldn't be taken or hurt without my knowledge, I could have let him run free a little more but I felt like I'd lose him if he got out of my sight because this place goes on and on! Lol. So I was overprotective and followed him around. Every thing was really cool. Unfortunately after walking thousands of steps to reach the top they said you can't slide with a small bag. I had to bring my bag to be able to pay for our way in, etc. So that was unfortunate after walking so many stair cases. Maybe a sign at the bottom saying no bags allowed? 🤔 it was hot, but overall the place is very cool and very fun for a kid to explore. We may come back some day and try again when he's older.

So much fun. And so big. You can explore for 8 hours straight and not see it all. There's so many little surprises and nooks and crannies. A great place for kids to go and get some of their energy out.
The halloween decorations are a nice touch and makes for a spooky good time.

This place is incredible. It's nonsensical. I don't understand any of the why or how. It's like Dr. Seuss came back from the dead and took up welding.
It's incredible fun no matter your age. There's stuff you can climb on. There's stuff you can climb through. There's places you won't fit. You'll probably get lost. Your kids will get lost. You'll leave with a different set of kids than what you started with. It all somehow works out in the end.
There's not much to say other than bring some knee pads and have fun in this gem of a place. This place is the best thing St. Louis has to offer.

First off this place is extraordinary, it is fun even for a 16 to 30-year-old, I wasn't expecting to see a grown adult have fun inside the caves and all the places you can crawl. It's a place where you can learn and have fun at the same time. I would recommend it for any age. The only thing I recommend for families with kids is that SUPERVISE YOUR KIDS, and know where they are at all times, YOUR KIDS CAN GET LOST IN THERE.

Whether you buy your tickets in advance, you pay a convenience fee which is $2 a ticket or you can buy it at the window. Wait a little bit and pay a little extra which evens out to what you would pay online. Kids absolutely loved it. I just set them free and let them go explore. We spent 4 hours and we left the museum to eat lunch and then we were able to come back in and play some more. There are bathrooms on every floor, and food vendors as well. They had a variety of food to choose from around $10 and up. We Chose to have a picnic in the parking lot, Beside our vehicle. Parking was $15 for the day.

Great museum with a variety of displays, bars, and restaurants through its several floors. Most of the museum is climbing stairs, tunnels and caves. There are more slides than I could count and some decent several floors.
This place is ideal for active children and is less ideal for older or sedentary individuals.
There was a live performance tasty was interesting. Solo circus.

There is so much to see and enjoy at this place. It really was so crowded that it made it difficult to enjoy. I was lucky to be able to sit down for the circus. It was enjoyable. It's fairly easy to lose your child in the tunnels because I really have no idea where they end up or come out. If you don't follow your child into one of the many random holes.. then be prepared to spend most of your time searching for them instead of actually enjoying your time there. We got to enjoy one of the slides that were outside. Honestly, I haven't been down a slide in probably over a decade.. until today. It was exhilarating! I wish i could have been a lot more in shape, 10 years younger, and here without kids.. and probably with a max of 100 people there.. then it would have been Amazing! Also face painting $17 come on? The only thing we ended up buying in there was a Maple the dog plushie from the circus, and that goes to a good cause, so it was well worth it! This place is also Very warm.. so dress light.. but not so light that you stick and squeak all the way down the slide.

Absolutely perfect. I loved every bit (except the architecture and bug rooms). One of the first things we did was go to the circus harmony show. The cast did a amazing job. My favorite part was the aquarium. Didn't order food but the restaurants smelt awesome. The tunnels around the building have quite a few tight squeezes. Perfect place for children with tons of playspace.

A haven for artists….which is both good and bad. Good, because it’s a very creative, interesting space. Not so good because they apparently don’t apply common business principles. For example, it took 35 minutes to park. Why? One entrance, and one person taking $$. The wait to get in was another 40 minutes. Never mind that we bought out tickets online; that does not matter until you get into the lobby. Once inside, the long lines continue: for the restrooms, the slides, and best of all, for food. I was the fourth customer in line at Beatnik Bob’s and waited 30 minutes to order and receive my food. They had 3 people working in the restaurant. I actually felt bad for them. See my photo for context; it was taken immediately after getting my order. Finally, I find their security protocols completely lacking for such a large space. No metal detectors, no bag checks, no visible security officers. There were cameras, but it sure seems like you can bring in what you want, and I’m not ok with that. (Though I wish I would have brought in some snacks.)

The City Museum is an experience different from all else. I found it similar to The House on The Rock and Meow Wolf in the way that it is so crazy to behold. The size of this place is amazing, and every inch is packed with activities, art, and the main attraction, tunnels. Everywhere you look, you see a metal tunnel, or a hole into the wall, or a massive tree with metal surrounding it, just waiting to be climbed. Although some tunnels are a bit of a squeeze, there are almost always multiple ways to get to any given place. Both adults and children were exploring, climbing, and being active in this marvelous place. We spent 8 hours exploring and I'm sure we still didn't see everything. There are almost no words for this place, and I would recommend this place with the absolute best of my ability. Keep in mind that I didn't even mention all of this amazing place, there are so many activities and hidden crannies.

Sooo much fun! Our kids had the best time and want to go back as soon as possible. It's a little intimidating at first since your kids essentially just disappear into this massive maze of tunnels and slides and crawl spaces. Once we were able to get over that fact and join in the fun with the kids, we couldn't get enough. We spent the whole day exploring the space and probably could have spent another day or two easily. They also have a small selection of lizards and fish in the museum - including "Dr. Fish" that eat the dead skin off your hands. Really weird, but also a unique experience!

It was very busy. (forgot about the existence of spring break) lol! I love the creativity and trade skills on display to create such amazing pieces and the fact you can touch and interact is a dream for me. I loved being able to touch the designs and feel the work. You definitely need knee pads if playing in the caves! My inner child was so happy here, to feel pieces of time and the re-purpose of them into new yet respectful ways to inspire new generations. ❤❤❤

Not adult friendly for sure. You can only enjoy it with kids and even then, I wouldn’t bring my child there. Some parts are definitely dangerous. There were barely warning signs or instructions anywhere even though there were clear safety hazards. Some areas were pretty disgusting too. If you’re walking around and not touching anything, some parts were cool to look at. My friend had a good laugh when I hit my head on one of the slides so that was fun! I would definitely not recommend it as a St Louis must. And definitely not worth the price.
Busch Stadium is one of the most beautiful and historic ballparks in America and is home to the St. Louis Cardinals, one of the best baseball teams in the world. The stadium offers great views of downtown St. Louis as well as the iconic Gateway Arch.
My brother and I decided about 10 days ago to get tickets for the Cards/Royals series. We purchased Champions Club seats to take advantage of the all inclusive tickets. We could not have asked for a better time! Getting there was easy to find, when we got in we were directed to where everything was. We found seats to eat at prior to the Game. Joyce came and waited on us. She was GREAT! When We we’re head to our seats, Brian filled us in on all the info we needed about the club and how it works! He could not have been nicer. When we got to our seats, Melissa took care of us all night. She was INCREDIBLE! She had a full plate and handled it with the utmost ease and Grace. She definitely made the experience even better! Thanks so much!

Took a tour of one of the most beautiful stadiums I've ever been to. Our tour guide gave us some great historical facts. Even though the Cardinals aren't my team, I gained a new perspective of the city and their team (11 championships). At almost 20 years old, the stadium still looks brand new. The grounds keepers keep the grass and dirt looking perfectly amazing. Seeing the Gateway Arch in the background is even more awe inspiring. The tour allows you to actually sit in the dugout and see what it's like being so close to the field itself. Take the tour. You won't be disappointed. In addition, walking on the street, you are so close to the excitement of the game. It's as if the restaurants and streets are inside the stadium, even though they're right outside. It is the only stadium I've seen that incorporates and envelops the outside streets at the same level. Fun place to visit. Can't wait to actually see a game there.

Had a blast at the game! Was clean, and pretty well handled for the amount of people there. Definitely a bit confusing to drive to ( not a city girl) parking very close in garages and what not. streets were decently clean on the small walk there. Did see a fight break out in a restaurant right there as we left the game. it was a worker threatening a customer... so that was kinda scary it was heated.... but the stadium itself was great.

Top-5 stadium in baseball to catch a game. It truly is baseball heaven as you take in the smells and ambiance of the park and of course St. Louis Cardinals baseball. The view of the Gateway Arch is immaculate. However, be aware of the Gestapo patrolling the entry gates. Some Cardinals ushers take their job a little too seriously, so make sure you read what is and isn't allowed in the stadium before you have to make a jaunt back to your car. Lots of reasonable parking lots around the radius of the stadium. The concession stands and souvenir shops are second to none. If you arrive early their is plenty to do in and around the stadium (Ballpark Village and Jefferson Expansion National Park). Put Busch Stadium on your bucket list, it's a good one.

What an incredible visit we had to Busch Stadium! As a lifelong baseball fan, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to stop by on our way to Kentucky, and boy, am I glad we did!
St. Louis is known for having some of the most passionate baseball fans in the country. The rich history of the team adds an extra layer of excitement to the whole experience.
Let me tell you, the stadium and weather on that particular day were nothing short of perfect! The setting was simply breathtaking, and I couldn't help but soak in the beauty of the old ballpark.
Now, let's talk about the Cardinal Club House Store – it was a delight! The store was filled with an impressive array of Cardinals merchandise, and the crew inside was warm, welcoming, and eager to assist.
One thing that stood out to me was the fantastic outside area around the stadium. It's a perfect gathering spot for fans to come together, share their love for the game, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere before and after the games.
I'm now more determined than ever to plan another trip back to watch a Cardinals game. Maybe, just maybe, they'll be taking on the Braves! I can already feel the excitement building!
If you're a baseball enthusiast or just looking for an unforgettable sports outing, Busch Stadium in St. Louis is an absolute must-visit. The combination of the stunning venue, passionate fans, and the Cardinals' remarkable history makes it a baseball lover's paradise.

I used to work here as an usher and can attest that the organization truly puts its best foot forward and strives to provide the best customer experience for fans from all over. The theme nights, giveaways, policies on bringing in food, games on the Jumbotron with prizes, and more only add to the experience of the game. I’ve been to other stadiums in MLB but truly , without being biased, Busch stadium is the best.

Loads of fun for the whole family or even just a fun night/day out with friends or significant other! As with every entertainment venue, the food was pricey. But we enjoyed the shrimp and beef tacos at the Mission Taco Joint and my daughter enjoyed a chicken combo from It's Big Chicken. We did this as a field trip for our homeschooled daughter and you can go to their website and receive a certificate for attendance of First Game as a credit per lady at the entrance. We found the certificate and filled it out; however we have not verified this credit claim is true.
Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves for our first time at this stadium❤️🥰

Top 5 of the best stadiums I've been to. The only thing that you need to do is educate your employees on where the same day memorabilia is in the park. It took me a better part of two innings to find because no one could direct me. But I will be back. I did enjoy the experience there and the seats are all wonderful. I also suggest doing the stadium tour before the game.

Busch Stadium is a fantastic sports venue.
Cardinals fans know when to be quiet; and appreciate the small things when there team executes small things.
Entry was easy. The stadium was walking distance from my hotel.
Restaurants and bars surround the stadium so there are plenty of places to visit before the game.
I love that you can see the Arch right over the left field skyline.
Center field is a great place for families to get together and hang out; with the large scoreboard to keep up with the game.

My wife and had an absolutely wonderful time attending a game at Busch Stadium. I’ve been a Cardinals fan since 1968, but for whatever reason, I rarely make it to a game. This year was different and I hope to make the time for more games in the future. Our seats were great, the staff working the game were very friendly and the whole experience was memorable. I can’t wait to return for another game.

Did the classic tour. Very cool stadium and the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Got to see some cool spots like the dugout, luxury boxes and radio booth. Kids liked the tour as well, not just for baseball fans. Reasonably priced too. Fun thing to do for an hour if you’re into cool buildings.

Went to the home opener. Amazing experience. It was everything I expected and more. We got to see so many former greats. It was cold (42 degrees) but we won so it was worth it.

My baseball cap off to the man who made the BEST dang hotdog I have ever eaten in my life. It's always a great time in Cardinal Nation, but Lilgreg really made a masterpiece at the bacon wrapped hot dog stand. It truly added to one of many great days at Busch Stadium.

This stadium has great views, plenty of parking at parking lots nearby (buy in advance), and hotels within walking distance. Plus, ballpark village has bars, restaurants, and shopping.
The Gateway Arch is an iconic monument in St. Louis, Mo., commemorating the exploration and settlement of the American West. The arch was built in the early 60s and is a massive 630-foot-tall structure topped with a striking metal entrance facade. The top of the arch offers stunning views of both the city below and the surrounding countryside, making it an excellent tourist destination for those visiting St. Louis with children. The Drury Plaza Hotel St.
Super cool experience! The pods in the tram are tiny but we got to ride in one ourselves, so nice to not have to sit in one with strangers. The door is glass which is awesome as you can view what the inside of the Arch looks like on your ride up and down. 4 min up, 3 min down. Husband is claustrophobic but was OK on the ride! Time at the top is short but plenty of time to take pictures of just look and enjoy the view. Our group was only about 11 people total so not crowded at the windows at all. The museum is interesting with lots to read. Cafe was expensive but food was OK. Tour guide for the tram was upbeat and friendly. The Arch was definitely the highlight to our trip to St.Louis! And the small state park surrounding the structure was nice as well.

It's cool to see. I don't know that I'd need to do it more than once. Buy tickets in advance. You can also check the website around 900a and see if they are any available tickets. I checked and got a ticket for the same day. You have to go through security as it's a national landmark. They have a museum area after that and other setups to learn about the arch and its history, there is a gift shop and cafe inside. Line up at your time... there aren't many people lining up until about 4-5 min prior to the scheduled time. You stand in line for a while before you get to go back. There really isn't a benefit because you get assigned a group 1 through 9. You sit with your group in the pod up and down...maximum of 5 people

Great place to visit! Lines all ran smoothly and it was an orderly transition from the check-in to the top and back down. Some unique history all the way from out greeting to a little movie to the facts projected on the doors that let you on to the tram. 4 minutes up and 3 minutes down. Yes, the tram is small but you can see the inside of the arch via the window/doors on the side. They allot the group 9 minutes at the top which is more than enough time to get some great photos. I’d recommend the movie on the building of the arch as it helped to make sense out of the architecture and the construction. The museums in the area were also very informative. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful experience and you get so much more than you expect. It's not only an amazing overlook of St. Louis and the Mississippi river from above, but there's an amazing historical (museum) exhibit underground and a really informative guide of the design, construction and engineering of the Arch and it's interior carriage transportation.
Well worth a visit and they lots of different ticket options, but just the entrance and rid-up was only $17 and really good value IMHO.

I had never really wanted to visit the Arch but I thought I'd give it a go and I was pleasantly surprised. A beautiful museum to see before you have to purchase anything at all. Definitely go to the top of the arch. Amazing views. And if you get there at noon you can see the shadow perfect between the two legs of the Arch!!!

Wonderful experience! It was cool driving through town and seeing the arch get bigger and bigger as we got closer. Then to be standing under it was amazing. The view from the top and museum were fabulous. The tram ride was faster than expected. We’ll worth the time and Money!

We had the chance to visit a couple of times. It has an incredibly beautiful atmosphere. It looks so beautiful from the outside. It makes me happy every time I see it. The museum is incredibly beautiful. There is a very beautiful narration. Everything is simple and technological. The main problem here is going upstairs. It's incredibly claustrophobic. Unfortunately, you can't find a satisfying window when you go upstairs.

Worth doing it to check the box, but not sure I’d feel the need to do it twice. The whole thing is about $15+ per person to take the tram (a claustrophobic Ferris wheel ride staring at concrete) up to a small room to look out tiny windows. I had more fun taking pictures for tourist families than I did staring out the tiny windows. Cool view, but a little anticlimactic for the price. The museum looked cool, but unfortunately we were in a bit of a rush and didn’t get to check it out.

I came to the Arch as a child and my son is now 10 years old so it was time to create the memories with him. He had learned about the Arch at school and now he's been able to witness it first hand. Overall it was a great experience. A little crowded and had to wait for a chance to get my son up in the windows to see the sights and get photos of him. A security lady asked us to leave as I was grabbing a couple photos we had waited on other people to move on, for my son's memory book. I explained to her we had to wait on all of the other people to be able to look out. Maybe she was having a bad day. Regardless the trip was nice and the other employees were all super nice and professional. The landscaping and surroundings were all beautiful.

It was such a cool experience to see in person. It's a lot bigger than I expected. We went there early in the morning, and there was no one around, so we got a lot of time for pictures and just enjoying the arch. By the time we did the sightseeing outside and went up into the arch, we were done by 1130 or so, and it got busy quickly. Would recommend if you are able and around the area.

The Gateway Arch is an amazing work of engineering and design. The tour was good but the narrator spoke so fast I could only understand bits and pieces of the story. The ride to the top was awesome and the view was incredible. They really could use an updated version of the videos though. I felt like I was sitting in an elementary classroom watching an old documentary. Not a good feeling. The parking was much to far from the entrance and the signs were poorly placed. I have bad knees and back. I park with a handicap tag but could not find the parking for handicap. The parking cost was too expensive as well. If you fix a few things mentioned you could easily reach a five star rating. All that said, I do recommend this business. It is worth seeing.

I have had the opportunity to visit St. Louis the last 3 years in a row and every time I land I go right to the ARCH and walk the park! Depending obviously on the weather, but the last 3 times it has been amazing!! I still have not gone up the ARCH on the elevator, but it is on my to do list. There is something about hanging out in the national park and enjoying a bit of history!!! This super conductor definitely is a cool part of America. Look it up and read about it and I promise you will be fascinated. Today the lawn were beautiful and the skies were amazing!!

Should be on the to-do list for everybody visiting St Louis. The Arch itself is huge and you can go up all to the top. Tour guide Sandy was awesome and very funny. The museum is just as impressive as the Arch itself. The history and development of St Louis is clearly explained. Well done. Museum itself is very clean and modern.

Well done National Park Service! I bought tickets online about a month ahead of time. I was able to have the tickets on my phone. We arrived about 30 to 45 minutes ahead of our tour time to allow for the security check. At the appointed time we were directed through the tour. The tour guides were courteous and very helpful answering questions. The views from the top are spectacular and for me, well worth the price of admission. The ride up and down is a little bumpy and the pod is a little claustrophobic, but should be no problem for most people. There is a historical museum after entry and before or after the tour that is worth a walk through. There is a concession stand of sorts as well as a souvenir shop. Overall, a great experience!

Great experience. You go up a very small tram elevator and it's pretty cool. They have a small museum inside, obviously the gift shop, and a few places to eat inside. Would highly recommend if not afraid of heights and not afraid of being an enclosed spaces.

We went on a Saturday and it was fairly busy. We did the tram ride to the top of the arch and it was under $20 a person. Our son was free since he's a wee tot. You enter at the bottom and go through a security check(similar to at an airport). Then you can walk around and learn all the history facts. There is a little cafe and gift shop in that area, as well. If you have a ticket for the tram, you continue on to the next area and guides put in groups. The rest is a quick history lesson then an even quicker ride to the top. You get around 10 minutes to look out of little windows at everything around you then you hop back in your tram and head down. It's a really quick experience but also a neat one. The trams are quite small and fit 5 people snugly(see video). If you're claustrophobic you might consider skipping the tram. If you park by the water, be prepared to climb several flights of stairs. We did it taking turns carrying our 40lb son and the thigh burn was real😅

I didn’t even realize you could get to the top till we saw the tiny dots that were actually windows. Was hesitant to go the top at first, but totally worth it! You don’t even feel like you’re that high up, cause the structure is so secure.
What was even more amazing is if you put your compass in front of the plaque, you’ll find that the Arch points exactly West and East to the degree! What an amazing place!

I had an amazing time here! It was absolutely worth the visit. The museum had tons of cool exhibits and lots of seats which I appreciated. I was too scared to go up the tram, but they had a virtual view of what it looked like, which was awesome! It was a beautiful day when I went too so the view was breathtaking honestly. The front desk museum attendant was also very helpful in pointing out some cool spots to see in STL. The rangers make the security checkpoint very easy and simple to get through, they repeat the instructions often and there are signs. Overall I recommend checking it out if you can! The museum is free, there is a cafe and a gift shop in the tram lobby. There was also a virtual reality experience that you could buy.

This is one of my favorite place to visit. It always amazes me with its beautiful and unique architecture. We could go up the arch. Better if you buy tickets in advance online. You need to go through the security check. There could be line depending on the crowd and time of the day. However queue passes fast. There is a museum after you pass through security, which is beautiful. You could enter either of north or south entrance to take tram to top of arch. They also got a decent cafeteria inside if you are hungry. I recommend one should take this tour and go top of arch. It never fails to amaze you. I love going to St. Louis because of this Gateway arch.

This was an awesome experience. I’ve visited the museum before but was finally able to ride to the top today. The trams are claustrophobic though so if you have issues with that then this might not be for you. If you can do it however, it is so worth it. On a clear day, the views are incredible! As someone with sensitive ears, they did feel a little uncomfortable during the ride up and back down. You only have 10 minutes at the top so you should promptly start taking your pictures and what not upon getting off of the tram. Be sure to check out the museum and gift shop as well!

I have driven through St. Louis a few times but never actually visited until this weekend. What a great place! The Gateway Arch was great. The views are spectacular and really gives you great sight lines and visuals of the city and Mississippi River. The museum is also very nice, did not have food but the cafe looks nice. The staff was friendly and helpful and we had a great time.

My expectations were exceeded! I loved the park and the museum inside. The building itself is clean and the museum is well kept.
The ride up was less scary than I expected. I put a picture of the pod you ride up in. The entrance for the pod is 4ft tall so if you’re taller you might feel a little cramped. But, I was able to fit in there with all 5 of my friends (the pod holds 5 people max).
Again, I went in with low expectations and I definitely was pleasantly surprised.

The trip to visit the St. Louis Arch was an experience that truly surpassed any waiting time. The awe-inspiring sight of the iconic monument towering over the cityscape made every moment of anticipation worthwhile. However, navigating through St. Louis to reach the Arch was an entirely different story. The route we took felt unsafe, with dimly lit streets and questionable neighborhoods along the way. Despite the breathtaking beauty of the Arch, the journey to get there left us feeling uneasy and cautious. While the Arch itself is a must-see attraction, travelers should exercise caution and plan their routes carefully to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit to St. Louis.

Really enjoyed the place. I wasn't able to go up due to the number of stairs to get to the tram and then at the top, but it's got a wonderful park outside. Inside, the museum is well-designed, there's a dining area, a movie theater that shows stuff like the 1970s documentary, and my favorite: A VR experience that has you fly through a painting showing small scenes of a moment in time. It's very well done and feels like a ride.
Outside of the Arch, the place is very accessible and the staff is very friendly and helpful (like most national parks). You do have to go through a metal detector, but it was very efficient when I was there.

The park around the arch is a peaceful place to spend time for couples, family, alone, or friends! The location is walkable from downtown. It is right by the river.
There are paid parking lots, but the street parking is cheaper. The area is safe.
Bathrooms are inside, at the bottom of the arch. You can pay to go up a tram to the top of the arch, which is a unique experience with cool views. There is also a free museum that you can walk around and learn a lot of history, a cave, and gift shop.

the arch is cool, the park is pretty, you get to see the river, city hell, downtown. Very pleasant place to walk. Its just disappointing that the museum and the tram close so early. Would have been nice to have gone up there during my layover. Why not have rides up and down at sunset? Or at night when you can see all the lights? I think people would really enjoy that.
The Lory Theater is an old-fashioned local cinema featuring two screens, which has been in operation since the early days of movies. The theater originally served as a vaudeville playhouse and still retains some of its vintage charm. It is particularly known for its delicious popcorn, although some patrons have suggested that the seats could be more comfortable. Despite this minor issue, everyone who visits The Lory Theater will feel welcomed by the friendly atmosphere.
My friends and I have seen every Marvel movie here since I can remember. Best popcorn around. Only complaint I have is the seats could be a little more comfy. But that hasn't ever stopped me from going. Extremely welcoming vibes here also!

Honestly the Lory doesn't feel like a commercial movie theater, it feels like a movie theater in your own home because it's just that comfortable.
I hope that everyone reading this review gets a chance to see another movie at the Lory because it is such a great place and captures everything that a small business should be, it really is like no other.

Fried chicken & other classic American comfort foods served family-style in a farmhouse setting.
Reservations recommended. We got 10 min late, but got seated fairly quickly. Kids choices are slightly limited but with sides and pretzels on the main menu, we made it work. Many strawberry options, as we were during strawberry season.

The Country Restaurant is just one of many wonderful things Eckert's has to offer. My grandfather and father and myself all moved to St. Louis as young adults (3 separate moves that is) and all had a love for Eckert's that has been passed down and spread. I do not typically eat at the restaurant, but a group of friends caught their special brunch for a birthday celebration and the food was great. I am not sure if the brunch setup is year round or seasonal, but eating there for any meal/occasion is likely to be successful.

Would have been a FIVE star review. The only negative was the LINER between the tray and the food. I get it, the liner is appropriate for the fried Chicken, fries, burgers and the like, but it is not appropriate for mashed potatoes, green beans and the country fried steak with gravy as it became saturated and it deteriorated. I would have preferred the meal be served on a plate minus any paper liner. I hope that management understands. All else, portion size, temperature, service and flavor was fine.

Food was very good. Fried chicken needed a little salt but the texture was perfect. Mimosas did not taste like they had any alcohol in them at all (literally just juice), but they get some points because the flavors in the cider flight had some bite and were both crisp and refreshing. Can’t complain about the service since we were the only ones there for a bit of time. Atmosphere was very relaxed and clean.

Homey, popular country restaurant. We went on a Saturday in mid-October and were told the wait would be 35-40 minutes for a table. Thankfully we stuck around and it was more like 25 minutes. There weren't a lot of vegetarian options, but I enjoyed the opportunity to eat a couple appetizers and call it lunch! I had the fried okra and spicy breaded cauliflower, both of which are delicious. The cauliflower truly IS spicy--I think it's dipped in Buffalo sauce. My friend had the pulled pork mac & cheese and the onion petals. Our waitress was fantastic and our food came quickly. If you visit the Belleville farm, I recommend stopping by.

Wonderful place to take the kids! Only suggestion from someone who is disabled, you need more benches! This picture taken from the only bench from the very top of the entrance by the trailer rides all the way to main entrance of the store/restaurant. There were plenty of empty spaces to add them along the fence and store walls. From someone middle aged walking with crutches, it just would have been more enjoyable being able to sit elsewhere. Then you have a lot of elderly that come that would probably like to sit while their companies can stroll the grounds & shop.

First time eating at Eckert's restaurant. The potatoes were crispy and well-seasoned just how I like them to be. The pancakes were extremely dense. It took a lot of syrup to soak into them. Not really my preference when it comes to pancakes, which is the only reason the food received a 4 out of 5. The atmosphere was ok. Same for the service. Nothing really stood out or was lacking of that matter which is why I gave it a 4 out of 5 too.
Overall, I will come back to try their lunch/dinner menu on a day other than a Sunday.

My first bite, I thought I had suddenly developed Covid and lost my sense of taste. But no, the food was just that bland. Love Eckert’s as a whole, but if you like flavor..this restaurant is not for you. Save yourself the money. Also, avoid if you’re a vegetarian/vegan.

I've been in the STL are pretty much my whole life and never made it over to Eckert's, so I was very excited to visit in Oct during apple season. I had planned to meet a friend there on a Saturday and we made reservations for the restaurant (our main draw).
As I was arriving I had to sit on the highway at a stop waiting for parking and that is when I began to realize it may be very crowded that day. I was right. Saturday was not a good choice to visit... Once I arrived and tried wandering around it was a bit rough. There were lots of people. Everywhere. You couldn't turn around without someone right on top of you... This was a bit much for me. There were signs pointing to a large event group that happened to be meeting right in the middle of all the attractions.
I did get the chance to walk through the country store and it was pretty neat. I enjoyed the home decor and crafty items. I also ventured into the grocery store (they may be the same store, I was a bit confused). I was really impressed that there were so many Eckerts specialty items and they even had gift sets. There were quite a few things I thought of purchasing but the lines were 20+ people deep and I decided to pass :/ There is also an apple cider sample station in the middle of the grocery that I thought was awesome! My friend and I each tried a lil cup and it was delicious!!!
Let's get to the restaurant. I'm very glad we made reservations. When we went to check in, they were quoting people 2+ hr long waits. As you all may know by now they no longer serve their legendary bread and apple butter. This is very sad. Our server took the time to let us know that they had to stop due to supplier inconsistency. I had already read about this online but my friend who comes here often hadn't. She was pretty irritated about it. She made a couple good points that resonated with me:
1) this is the equivalent of TX Roadhouse not serving their rolls and butter or Red Lobster not having cheddar biscuits or Olive Garden not having breadstick. Ok, I understood that.
2) They used this largely to advertise their made on site apple butter and we generate sales that way... so it may be time to think of another way to deliver the apple butter. Maybe simple bread or biscuits since the apple butter is really the star.
That said I definitely felt bad for he wait staff as we could hear over and over again people asking about the bread and them having to explain it.
Now, I really came here for fried chicken! So you know I ordered the 2 piece and requested a leg and wing is possible as those are my faves. It took a LONG TIME to get our food. Easily 30-40 minutes... I just thought they were frying the chicken fresh and my excitement was building. But then they brought me the 2 smallest pieces of chicken I've ever seen... together they didn't equal one normal piece of fried chicken... and my disappointment set in. When you look at my photos just know - that is a regular size scoop of mashed potatoes next to my chicken, not a large one. On that note - the potatoes were TASTY! I really enjoyed them and the chicken was fried perfectly, crispy and delicious. The green beans were plain like they just came out of a can, no seasoning. Overall this meal is not what I expected from all the other rave reviews....
My friend ordered a pork power bowl and said it was good, not great. It was her first time having that item. She did really enjoy the lemonade they serve.
We left right after eating because the crowds were just too much... I will say it looked like there was a lot of other awesome stuff to do, but all we saw were long lines and big crowds. I'd like to get back here on a weekday sometime and try the experience again.
This is the best sailing association in the Saint Louis metropolitan area. CSA has several loaner boats and instructors for beginners. The club fees are very low. The club has the only youth sailing education program in the area. On site camping for members, bath house, training and meal building. Ask about summer youth camps.

Beautiful artwork. Enjoyed this hidden gem hidden in Mt Vernon Illinois. The main gallery costs $5, but it is well worth the admission price. They also have a book of their collection available for $25. I purchased one and am enjoying the enriching additional information. They also have a walking path you can take to see many beautiful sculptures on your tour through the grounds with additional exhibits located in other buildings. Due to time constraints and my sister being in a wheelchair, we were limited to how much we could explore, but still enjoyed much they had to offer and enjoyed talking with museum staff about the history of the museum and their collection. I would highly recommend this activity for anyone who likes nature and art in general.

We drove from out of state and were so impressed by their beautiful grounds and helpful staff/volunteers. We were expecting big crowds, and even though we heard that they had sold 1500 tickets, since they have so much beautiful outdoor space, we had a very peaceful experience with very few people near us. Although we didn't get to spend much time enjoying their facility (since we were focused on the eclipse), their indoor space was also very nice, and amazingly enough, I didn't even have to wait to use their restrooms, which were clean and very nice. We enjoyed some of the outdoor sculptures and would love to visit again if we are ever back in the area. We are just so grateful to Cedarhurst for hosting such a great event!

This is one of the most interesting places I've ever visited. There is no admission fee on Thursday's, and the rest of the week it only costs $5. If you have the chance, go check out the outdoor sculptures. They are truly amazing!

We were traveling through and planned to stop. I had hope to be able to see more of the outdoor sculptures but being in a wheelchair they weren't easy to get close to. Most of the paths weren't paved. I did enjoy what I could see and the museum was very nice. I would like to visit again when in the area.

We attended an art fair here. We enjoyed ourselves, but everything was high end retail and we weren't expecting that. The property looked beautiful and I would love to go back and just walk around.
If you hunt Pokemon this spot is loaded with Pokestops!!

It was nice to get around on the paths through the Center. Using a mobility scooter, I was able to navigate the paths including the pea sized gravel paths with my low clearance scooter.
Many of the sculptures were far from the path but I had my binoculars with me for bird watching and could use them to see the sculptures better.
I did not visit the museum.

I always enjoy visiting Cedarhurst! I did not enter the museum today as I wanted to explore outside instead. I noticed recent updates to the grounds on this visit. The nature trails are no longer plain dirt, gravel has been added to the paths and other improvements such as labeled path markers. They’ve definitely stepped up their outdoor game. The lovely pond is pretty anytime of year, but it’s especially nice in the warmer weather when the fountain is flowing.

We went for the Christmas Light walk. It was excellent. About a mile walk in length with volunteers to help shepherd you in the proper direction. I can't believe it was only their 2nd year doing it. A+++ All around. Drinks for adults and kids alike. Lots of kid crafts are available also. We will be going back again for sure next year.

It's a great place to take your kids, the dog, or just go for a walk yourself around the park sculptures outside. They've got great courses and activities for kids and family. And many very good art exhibitions.

Great place for families to enjoy. Would recommend anyone in the area to enjoy. Clean and well kept. A nice gem to spend some time.

Found this park on the way to Giant City State Park. Knew it was a park my grandchildren would love. I was right! Visited with the grands and had a wonderful time. It's free, but they do take donations. It's privately owned, so anything will help. If you're thinking about visiting, you won't be disappointed!

We were here for the eclipse in 2024, and I can't say enough good things about this park. We were here from about 8:30 am to 3 pm, and even after the eclipse was over we still had to pry the kids away from the park they'd been enjoying all day. The 2yo kept going back into the castle, and even the 11yo said he was still getting lost in it and finding secret passages. A fence encloses the park, though be aware there are 2 open gates on opposite sides. The only restrooms are port a potties, but they were cleaned and well-maintained. Though the castle is not handicap accessible, a disabled parent can easily come into the park and watch their kids play. The giant sleeping dragon was also a huge hit. Thank you so much for this amazing place!

I think what this family has done to honor their child is spectacular! This park is such a cool place for children and D&D fans to visit. I don't know how the game is played but there are many characters set up throughout the park. The adult size castle fort is much larger than we thought it would be. It's a great place to check out if you're in the area. They have a donation box there so try to take some cash with you to drop in.

Very cool attraction! Definitely recommend whether you are a DnD fan or not. There are so many things to see that even when you think you've seen it all in an area I'll bet there is something in a nook or cranny you missed. Definitely recommend for kids of all ages.

Grown ups will enjoy as much as children when you explore the hidden gem of a park dedicated to the memory of the owners son who tragically died in an accident. Boo loved Dungeons and Dragons and his father and friends transformed this magical park into a castle and grounds where dragons and wizards roam. Trap doors await with hidden passages to open up in a different room in the castle. Beautiful flower beds surrounding metal sculptures of winged creatures. We visit a couple times a year and find new things that we have never seen. Bring your kids and try keeping up with them as they wonder in amazement. What an incredible place.

Great place to take the kids! The castle playground is so much fun and the dragon statues really make it unique. The kids are already begging to go back!
A 2-ton bronze monument to Superman represents the town's claim to being his birthplace.
Stopped here while on a road trip recently. Neat town, I picked up a couple things at the gift shop. I would like to see the gift shop have more reasonably priced toys for kids.

We visited on Eclipse day so the town had blocked off the streets around this.
If you are a comic fan this place is fun. Great photo op with the statue! A few blocks down the street is a Lois Lane statue that is not to be missed.
Jason Bushmire — Google review
I would say this statue is one of the most unique courthouse statues I’ve ever come across! This monster is 12’ tall and has a nice platform where one can take photos with him. It’s a roadside America attraction, but is located in the hometown of Superman, Metropolis, so be sure to visit the town and museum/shop when here. Pull right up to the courthouse and you’ll see him; there are many helpful signs directing FB you right here, as well. Cheers!

Fun little clean town with several photo ops Superman is in great shape, there's also Big Boy, Lois Lane, the Daily planet, criptonite, and several beautiful and cool murals. A Superman store also!! Stop and have some fun!!

I understand that there are a lot of places that claim to be the real Superman home, but my road trip took me through metropolis and into Superman square. As you drive in. You see a huge statue of Superman just in the center of town and it's so cool. I got into town around 4:00 and all of the stores were closed already which was super disappointing since there was nothing at all to do in the town but look at the statue I guess try to go earlier in the day if you wanted to walk around and really get to feel for the town, but it's a really quick and easy stop if you're ever headed out that way
Aimee Robidoux — Google review
This was so cool! This little town was absolutely adorable! Although everything was closed on a Sunday except the Superman store.
I would have thought the coffee shop or food would have been open. There was a decent amount of people walking around looking for a place to sit and eat.
Just check the hours before you make that long drive for your visit to metropolis.

The National Quilt Museum is a remarkable exhibition space that showcases an extensive collection of quilting and textile arts. The museum offers rotating exhibits, workshops and features beautiful creations with bright colors and intricate details. Visitors can admire the creativity in each quilt, including a wooden one displayed in a separate room. Even if you are not particularly interested in quilting or textiles, this art gallery is worth checking out as it presents stunning works of art that will leave you fascinated.
Wonderful museum. Admission price is reasonable and there are some stunning works of quilted art to be seen. The studio space is well organized and thoughtfully filled. Gift shop has a few great finds.
Sarah Hartman — Google review
It was just okay. I was kind of disappointed because I was expecting older quilts and some frames of older times to be on display. The oldest quilt dated back to 1980. They were more modern. Sewn with sewing machines, which is still a lot of work, but I look at a National Museum as having really old artifacts. Hand seen quilts along side of the newer ones. Frames that were used in my grandmothers and great grandmother's times and beyond. Things like that. Pictures from those eras. There were some nice quilts there. There was a Shakespeare section on display. I did like some of those as I do like some Shakespeare.

Great place to visit even if quilting isn't your thing! This was actually my husband's idea because he had seen the sign for it as we were driving! When I looked up pictures it looked really neat so we made time to check it out! We are so glad we stopped because it was amazing! Lots of beautiful creations and bright colors! If you enjoy art in general, this is a great place to check out. We were in awe at the fine details and creativity in each quilt. They even had one made from wood in a seperate room! Very fascinating! They let you take pictures, just no flash photography!

It was very neat to see all the different styles and types of quilting. I never knew so much of this. And they had a special exhibit by Dr. Karen Nyberg, noted astronaut. I was impressed by the depth and breadth though admittedly I would have liked more historical quilts. Admission prices are fair for a museum. Would recommend.

I happened on the museum on the day of the total eclipse and they were hosting people on their lawn to view it. Their staff was enthusiastic to tell me about the museum, encouraged me to walk around, and shared some of their own passions with me. Everyone here was awesome. I loved hearing other crafty people talk about the techniques they noticed used in the various works, which were very impressive. I'll be back!

The Paducah Wall to Wall is a notable historical landmark that showcases the town's rich heritage during the Atomic Age era. The murals are exquisitely crafted and depict various aspects of Paducah's history. Visitors can enjoy an evening stroll while viewing the colorful mural paintings, including a full-sized stream engine. The area surrounding it is well-maintained with benches that provide views of the river, where a riverboat can also be found docked at times.
We enjoyed walking along the wall, seeing the numerous beautifully painted murals and learning the history of the town from the placards. Also, the river valley is gorgeous too.

Civil War site with an old fort & artillery, a soldier cemetery & riverside battlegrounds.
Beautiful and perfectly re-creation of the fortifications. The view is spectacular. After visiting numerous other battlefields, this may be my favorite of them all. You can feel the battle going on as the ships come up the river and the Rebels hold them off with their cannons. This fortress makes you want to be a kid again.

Had an awesome experience visiting this National Battlefield. The rangers were very helpful and provided me with plenty of maps and info to complete some hiking trails and self-guided audio tours.
The signage throughout the Battlefield was well laid-out and easy to find on the map. This is important because there are sites located throughout the town of Dover; not just within the park.
It was so cool to be able to walk through and picture the history that took place here. Having accounts of those who served during the conflict was extremely valuable and sobering.
One thing that surprised me was seeing a Confederate monument for the first time in my life. Once you do some reading of the provided info packet and the associated signs at the site, you begin to understand its importance. The soldiers of the Confederate Army were often buried where they fell and/or placed in unmarked mass graves nearby. This monument stands as the sole marker in recognition of their memory. War hurt a lot of people on both sides and it's important to have an open mind in order to understand our history in its full narrative.

I stopped by here on my quedt to get a junior ranger badge for every national park, historic site, or natural place. The visitors center is still umder construction so the rangers are in a trailer. There is a 20 min movie about the fort and the leaders involved. This was Grants first victory mainly due to the bad choices the confederate generals made.

We have found a place we love to come. We are returning with garbage bags because of all the garbage on the bank. I have updated photos since first visit to show there is going to be a tremendous tall weed problem if someone does not maintain it . We pulled many weeds to make a path to water. We have loved our time here but it will need maintenance. For now we are happy to pick up garbage and play and read there. Bathroom was immaculate with working faucets, soap, toilet seat protectors and paper towels. There was also heat . The garbage and recycling bins were locked preventing use

Nice educational park, overlook of Cumberland River. Canon's line the river, pretty view. Education plaques to read. Limited parking, not handicap accessible. Walking is hilly, unstable for those with balance instability.
Amy Christle — Google review
As a person who loves history, this was a great place to visit. It has such a cool story, one that actually helped shape America more than I ever thought. It has several awesome views of the Cumberland River with replicas of the cannons that once protected it. The road/trail is marked well with directions on where to stop. The stops have good descriptions of what happened at each place and its significance. Some of the information boards at the stops have been weathered and damaged and need replacement. The visitor center was in the process of being remodeled. I can't wait to see how it turns out. There are several other must-see places related to this park to stop at that are scattered around Dover. All in all, a beautiful National Battlefield with a great story.

Totally enjoyed our visit. The video at the visitor's center is a must before taking a look. The numbered locations and audio from the website are a great help as you tour this location. We were there for at least 3 hours taking it all in and had to abruptly leave due to illness. We plan to go back soon to finish where we left off.

Love visiting this place. We did the driving tour thru all the locations. It will take a couple of hours to see everything. The visitors center is in a temporary building but still worth a stop. Anytime you can visit a historic site do it. Always something new to learn.

We enjoyed our visit and tour of Fort Donelson Nat'l Battlefield. We started at the Visitor information Center. (They are renovating their headquarters, so follow the signs to a trailer.) Very well informed staff will answer any questions you have, give you a detailed map to follow. There is a recorded explanation of each of the 11 stops via your phone. Made it more interesting. Be sure to view the video at the hotel. The sacrifice of the soldiers reminds us of the freedoms we take for granted today that have come about because of these soldiers giving their very lives so we can be free. Let us never ever forget that freedom isn't free.

Who knew!? We stumbled upon this place during a visit to Kentucky Lake. Such a pivotal story of the Civil! Well maintained, plenty to see, definitely worth checking out!
State park featuring a 351-ft. memorial obelisk topped by an observation room, plus a small museum.
A rather interesting state park located at the site of the birthplace of Jefferson Davis. Though Davis is remembered as a Mississippian, he was born here before soon moving to Mississippi. The obelisk on the site is the largest unreinforced concrete structure in the world, and one can’t help point out the similarities between this and the Washington Monument, two obelisks for first presidents of American nations. There is a small museum with a small entrance fee (a discount on that and going up the monument exists for military and US government). There is also a little shop selling everything from General Lee mugs to prints of paintings, to books by Booker T. Washington.
Outside the visitor’s centre, there is a WC, many park benches, a playground, and open field where one can recreate. I think it’s worth a visit for history folks and regulars alike. It was cool to see people coming together and enjoying themselves, not frothing at the mouth because of politics or correctness. Cheers.

With all the madness about monuments I've kinda made point to go seeing and taking kids to learn about those around us just in case one day they are gone. It's amazing how this is well kept the people are really nice and sweet. They have tons of knowledge. Kids really enjoyed the playground out in the back, kinda cool swinging on the swings wit the monument right there. The museum is small but, educational.

It's a beautiful area with an interesting monument to a person and moment of history. Was closed without indicating why. Could still walk around and read the information. Suggest looking up information before heading out. Nice park for a picnic or just to relax a bit.

Even though I live in KY it is still one of my favorite places to go visit at different times of the year. It's just a beautiful place and drive. The museum has so much information it's great to know that's here in KY.

Birth place of Jefferson Davis with a small but interesting museum also an elevator ride to top of monument for a breathtaking view of the Kentucky Blue Grass area. On site you'll find a nice shady picnic area with tables and a playground for the kids.

Visited today, we wanted to take the little tour but it was $6 per person. I'm not sure it was worth that so we skipped it. Other than that, it was neat.

The staff is amazing, i loved the view and ride up the tower, the stuff you can purchase is awesome and the map where you can show where your from is really cool too. Only thing bad about it is that you can’t take the stairs anymore but other than trhat 100%

It's always a great place to visit along our route west. The couple manning the gift shop and museum were so friendly and informative. We found some really cool books for sale. The grounds are always clean, and restrooms are spotless. There's a lot of history here. Well worth the stop.

Took my kids here to see a piece of history. The elevator didn’t work so we couldn’t go up to the top of the obelisk but their was a little store and museum there. We didn’t do the tour but got some cool stuff from the gift shop.
The Trusty Notary — Google review
Beautiful 😍 place, the person who guides the tour to go up the elevator to the tower tells the story of Jeferson and does it with such passion that it seems that you are watching it in a movie. If you have the opportunity to get to know this place and these people, do it. Excellent service also in the store, they also sell very nice souvenirs

Very cool piece of history. Would have never heard of it had we not met a local couple that recommended it. Definitely worth the elevator ride up.

From a purely historical standpoint, it's cool that this monument is in the middle of nowhere KY honoring the confederacy's only president. This structure is impressively massive, and the park lands are very nice. Small museum behind the structure and elevator inside the monument when it's operational. Some folks put a lot of money into this back in the day.. I hope I'm not paying for it now.

Was driving along the roadway and spotted a massive obelisk jutting into the sky.
It wasn’t a planned destination but we couldn’t pass it up.
It’s a wild monument to the president of the Confederate States.

Great history, unknown until that massive tower popped over the horizon, great conversation with the front desk, it is a destination, picnic, playground, peace and quiet...
Park & marina offering a fishing pond, playground, 1.8-mi. walking trail & athletic fields.
My favorite park in Clarksville to bicycle and enjoy Nature. I feel the safest in this park and enjoy bicycling around the marina, lakes, ducks, geese, and trees. Spectacular views, bridges, and statues. The restaurant nearby is wonderful to eat and drink at too!

Liberty Park is a beautiful place for the family to enjoy! We love the Playground area and the beautiful pond. The kids love to fish there and it's a very safe environment. The movie night in the park is awesome as well. We enjoy each visit as if it were the first!

We had lunch at Liberty bar and grill. I had the salmon and it was delicious. We had their fried mushrooms as an appetizer and I love that they use the whole mushroom instead of pieces. My husband had the Hawaiian chicken and it was juicy and flavorful. We sat out on the deck overlooking the marina because I had my support dog Julian with us and it was beautiful. Our waitress even brought Julian a bowl of water. It was a great date lunch. In which we don't get too often because my husband is an over the road truck driver and is only home once a month. So this was a picture perfect experience.

Dunbar Cave State Park, home to a historic cave, offers a natural and well-maintained environment where visitors can enjoy bank fishing, hiking trails and diverse wildlife. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and maintain a welcoming hub next to the parking area with clean restrooms and an excellent display of the park's history. Visitors can purchase souvenirs that capture the essence of the park from locally sourced materials.

The welcome hub located next to the parking area is healthy, informative, and happily lively with clean restrooms and an excellent display of the history of the park.
Mainly-local and regionally-sourced souvenirs are available that exude the essence of the park.
The trails are serene, filled with wonder, and are as extensive as one could need.

Our first time visiting Dunbar Cave State park! The park is very clean, well maintained the swan lake is beautiful the nature is breathtaking area is peaceful this park has its own spirit very different from other parks that I've ever visited .. The cave is big and it's cold inside much different from outside temperature if you want a cave tour you have to buy a ticket and pay the fee other wise you can just walk around the area but you can't go inside the cave.. Great area for walking, hiking, running with your family friends and pets.. There are plenty seating areas all around if you wanna rest ... What I like about it is there's a short history written on Interpretive Signs. Overall we had a very nice time seeing this historical place. Highly recommend !! if you are visiting Clarksville make sure to stop by.

We are a family of 4 with 2 kids (9 & 7), we took the Underworld tour inside the Dunbar Cave and enjoyed it very much. Our 2 guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The tour itself was easy for most ages. It is dark, only being illuminated by flashlights, I was concerned about our kids being scared but they did very well and were excited. I am 5'10" and had to bend down a few times as to not bump my head and all adults had to crouch just once for a very short time. Definitely recommend to spend the money on the tour, it's a unique experience!!

Awesome place. You can walk hike this area or sit and have a picnic. No trash cans, so you take everything you things you bring in with you when you leave. You can tour the cave in May through September. The history of this place is extraordinary. So many things added changed, and all the people this place has experienced is phenomenal. Dogs, children, and all ages are welcome. Animals must be on a leash at all times!

We went off season in March so cave tour was not open yet. We did walk a a couple of trails, went to the entrance of the cave, and paused by the pond to watch the various water fowl. Our trails were the easier ones since I use a walker with wheels. Easy to navigate. Stopped in the park information center which houses a small museum and gift shop. Purchased a few souvenirs. Nice day and fresh air, made some great memories.

A beautiful area and a great place to clear your mind. The park isn't massive but what it lacks in size makes up for in beauty and interest! There are two different walking paths which both are great.
I highly recommend visiting this state park along with others around Tennessee! Note: they do offer guided tours of the cave when you register online! The cave its self is an adventure. Have fun.
Matt Campbell — Google review
Beautiful site with some thought provoking history. Lovely trails to walk or hike. Book your tour in advance if you want to go in the cave, otherwise you can only enjoy the entrance area on your own.

The par-core kitty 🐈 trail is where the magic happens. The trees have gorgeous root structures which lend the gift of natural steps - one of my favorite things. I have never figured out where this trail ends. I need a trail map.
I have waited two decades for the Clarksville to give this place the TLC it deserves. Night walk solar lanterns, painting, changing out the rusted gate/entry to cave and oh yeah....the cave. I do remember when it was shut down and issue with the bats and routine pond growths. I would like to see this area updated and loved on a little. Add a little romance.
Aspire — Google review
Ranger was informative and the signs around the park were as well. The ranger explained the reason why the cave closes during the winter is to allow the bats to hibernate. Enjoyed watching the geese in the water.

I enjoyed the trails- saw lots of wildlife and their native grassland is awesome! so many pollinators!
I will say their pond needs some TLC- its full of invasive species and algae and just looks a little sad.

I rate this 5 stars with some caveats:
1. If you hate learning history you won't enjoy the cave tour. The tour is basically all about the history of the cave and while there are some cave formations they aren't the main focus
2. Do not bring little kids on this tour they won't understand the history nor appreciate the cave
3. If you have trouble walking this is not the cave tour for you. This cave does not have concrete walking paths like other popular caves so you are walking on slick uneven rocks the whole time.
4. I HIGHLY recommend checking out a more well preserved cave like Cumberland Caverns before this one. This cave was heavily damaged before the state took control and it's a perfect example of why caves have the rules they have. One of my favorite parts of the tour was when they took you to the most damaged room on the tour first and then went to the best preserved room in the cave right after. It's a stark difference and shows just how damaging humans can be to caves and why it's important to protect them.
5. Yes you can see the Native American pictographs and yes they are pretty cool. If you have poor low light vision though they may be hard to see so keep that in mind
Overall I recommend this tour, it's very different from other cave tours and gives you a good perspective on why preserving caves is extremely important

Great place for an easy hike. Plenty of nature and some wildlife will be present. The cave entrance is permanently closed, but you can still enjoy the opening entrance and read about the history.

I took and put away my children’s phones for the day and decided to visit the park, they enjoyed it and never complained. It was quite, peaceful and had interesting sites and trails. Amazing blessed day with kind families all around. The visitor office and gift shop was clean and polite customer service.
Only cons; people visiting with their dogs should pick up their waste and not leave it in the middle of the trail.

Really cool place to come explore and learn about the history of the area. Parks staff was great and knew their stuff. Make sure to bring a sweater along with you if you are going into the caves. You can only access the caves by taking a tour with the parks employees.

This place is fascinating and very cool. We did the unknown realms tour a little pricey but its 2 hrs long and go deep in the cave. Our guide was very informative.Just know you have to climb up and down and will have to crouch a few times.

This is a nice walking park with several different trails. The cave area is cool. We went on the same tour twice, we liked the first one so much. They offer different tours on the weekend but we had to end our vacation on Friday. The first tour was great. The woman that led it gave a ton of interesting information and was very engaging. The second tour was a little disappointing. The guy that led it did not give as much information although he did give the basics, it wasn't as interesting. Would definitely go on one of the other tours if we visit again.

If you have a delivery with a 53' trailer my recommendation is to back up from the street, the guys working there will help you stopping the traffic, once you are in the lot you have to blind side manuever but it's easy and the guys gonna help you; fast unloading by one of the owners and a crew member... Awesome experience to me because they treated me like a one of their clients, giving me some drinks and they are amazing people. The vineyard it's a beautiful place, definitely i would like to back here

I definitely recommend coming out for a tasting!
Plus check their Facebook page, sometimes they have live music and/or food trucks come out too! There is a really nice outdoor area with a little stage and plenty of picnic tables for seating.
The grounds are well kept with lots of flowers decorating the outside of the building. The gift shop is fun to look at but the wine really is the show stopper here!
My favorite was the golden rose! Hands down if I could only pick one wine for the rest of my life… it’s this masterpiece!

Terrible service. I walked in and was greeted, but that was it. I looked around the wines for a while and not once was asked if I required any service. Workers conversed like I wasn't there. Then I got to the counter and had to talk to the cashier for her to pay attention to me. I was looking at the lipstick display next to the counter and cashier rung me up without asking if I needed anything else. Won't be going back from a lack of customer service.

Nice winery around Clarksville. Went there on a Friday evening and they had a live band outside. It was a nice atmosphere and vineyard looked amazing. We love going here on Friday nights as a family. The kids always find other kids to play with, there’s always great live music, and we enjoy the wine they make as well. We even went the extra step of becoming members of their wine club.
Edit 8/30/23: we received an email about picking grapes at the vineyard. We’ve never had grapes straight from the vine, so we went and picked a bag to enjoy. Fresh grapes taste 100x better than any store bought grapes!
The experience here was one of the best...the people and atmosphere can not be beat...the strawberry wine is a must to try...left with 3 bottles of it...the service is some of the best and hospitable I've had on the road from Texas to West Virginia...keep doing what you are doing girls!!!...I'll be ordering for shipping soon!!!

Very nice stop, so convenient to I65. Staff were very friendly and we did do a wine tasting (in fact my husband did 2). I chose the fruity flavors and they were very refreshing after a long drive. No electric hook up but it did cool down enough in the evening so we could sleep. Gift shop was filled with wine related items and, if not traveling in such a small RV, I would have purchased several items.

We stayed here for the night via Harvest Host. This is the cutest Winery I have ever been to! Their decorations are so Winery inspired. They have so many cute camping & wine items for sale too which was an unexpected delight! Of course everything we tried to eat was delicious, along with all of the different fruit flavored wines we sampled. We liked the peach wine the best but that's what we typically drink, so we got a bottle of their Tennessee Blackberry wine instead. It was very delicious. The best part of all was the excellent customer service from Trish & LaWanda! They made our visit so fun! You deserve to make a stop here if you are heading north or south on I-65!

Cute winery and #HarvestHosts with super friendly and accommodating owners/staff.
We arrived this afternoon and the owner helped us get parked in a boondocking site (our preference) out of the way as we won't Friday until tomorrow afternoon as we work remotely from the road.
They have homemade chicken salad and pimento cheese's in addition to an impressive wine list. We shared a flight and found we really liked one of their reds.
Think we'll be hitting them up tomorrow at lunch time before we hit the road again. I just live stupid like these! 🤩

This place is awesome. My dad came in for a visit from Illinois and my daughter and I surprised him with a trip to the winery. We did the $30 tasting which included a beautiful platter of cheeses, fruits, crackers and their chicken salad which was delicious and sample the many different types of wines they make and the history of each along with a tour of their chandelier room which had several beautiful chandeliers and a collection of antique furniture where parties and bridal showers are held. The staff was wonderful and Karen who did our tasting was very knowledgeable about the wines and the history of the winery. If your looking for a quaint place to go and enjoy some wine this is the place to go.

Update December 29th 2023
We stayed through Harvest host again. This time we arrived too late to partake in a tasting, but staff was still fantastic. The owner was very communicative and hopeful and when we went in to the winery the next morning to pick up a few small items, the girl behind the counter was extremely friendly. We got some chicken salad to have for lunch on the road and it was delicious! We will definitely be back the next time we're through town.

We did the Moonlight Zip lining and it was so much fun, our instructors/guides (Mary & Colin) were great fun, very experienced, were very organized and kept things moving. They even had glow sticks for everyone so we could see each other in the dark... Was such a laugh, the whole experience.... My only recommendations would be to take a small flashlight, use the bathroom at the gas station in town before you get there (bathrooms have no power or running water) as super creepy in the dark!! And tip your guides at the end, they deserve it, and have a great time.

I don't remember much of this place but I have been thinking about it for a while and decided to write a review. This was by far the most nostalgic memory I have as a kid because it has that weird aesthetic unlocked memory feel you know? I now remember it much better thanks to images from the past. This is probably now the saddest place to go if you remember it in it's prime time. Now it's a ghost town. I hope that we can get something like this back in the future due to the heavy influence of nostalgia on the consumer market today. I hope I have some place like this I can take my future kids to in the future and hopefully get to finally try that indoor go kart track out 🤣

Update: as soon as I posted this, I noticed the review below mine from 4 months ago described that this place was abandoned even back then.
I suggested an edit to google to change the decription for this Outlet Mall as permanently closed.
Original post:
I arrived, and this building was abandoned except for cabelas and an ice rink that did have a few cars around the area labeled "practice," but I question whether the "skatepark" / go kart area was still in business as some colorful decorations were up, but the front entrance looked abandoned, and there were no cars. All the stores were empty, without signs, and 90% of this building looked like a ghost town.

Dead mall. Everything is closed except for Cabelas and ice rink.

I've never been to a mall that was as empty as this. The storefronts to lack of Christmas shoppers really bummed me out. It actually made me think of Dawn of the Dead or the video game Dead Rising. Place was an empty apocalyptic nightmare waiting to happen.

My son said the ice was good, but some locker rooms were small and his team was split into 2... he said the abandoned mall was creepy

There's nothing here. If you specifically skate or play hockey...or need to specifically visit one of the 5 remaining stores, then it is worth your time. Otherwise it's walking exercise in ghost town.
