Edgewater Park is a beautiful 147-acre park located in Cleveland, OH. It features beaches, a pier for fishing and a yacht club. The park is great for picnickers, swimmers, and people who enjoy water sports. There are also several picnic areas perfect for families to gather.
This has become a very popular park in Cleveland for good reason. I'd never been, but we finally visited during the summer when visiting my parents.
It's a pretty long park. There's a beach as well as plenty of park area. We started out down by the beach which was really pretty.
Then we went up by the Cleveland sign which I preferred. Other than right by the sign, there were less people up there. There are also beautiful skyline views and plenty of shade.
If you haven't been, this park is a must in the summer.

This is a nice family/kid friendly park. The play area is very entertaining for the children. It would definitely benefit from some swings and a few more areas designed for the younger children. I really liked the view of downtown Cleveland [didn't even realize I was that close]. There's a little paved trail for dog walkers, bicyclists, etc. It appears to be well maintained.

Enjoyed our walk around the beautiful park and then used one of the picnic tables for our brown bag lunch. Did swim in cool Lake Erie. Very gradual entry slope well into the lake. Beautiful setting and clean park.

Came here for the 2024 eclipse. Cleveland Metro Parks and Cleveland PD did a fantastic job with the event. The park was clean and we felt safe the entire time. After the big show traffic for the most part filtered out quickly. The food and drinks at the pavilion were a welcomed surprise for sure. Great spot to watch planes and trains! ✈️ 🚂

Excellent place for kids, adults, and dogs. This was our first visit but it will not be our last. Clean park, exceptionally clean bathrooms, great place for picnics, beach was very clean, and the pier was enjoyable. This is a place for all ages and all cultures. Run, jog, paddle board, bike, hike, fish, play ball, let the dog swim and play, and let the kids slide and swing, a d even enjoy the big front porch style swings under the concession bldg. Plenty of parking everywhere.

This park is gorgeous! It is so big and surprisingly so clean too. Lots of picnic room or room to kick around a ball. Swimming area looked great, although it was still way to cold to utilize that when we were here. People were fishing from the rocks too. It was such a relaxing day. The pier is also pretty cool… it really feels like you’re at the ocean.

Edgewater is absolutely beautiful! We have a great time everytime we visit. It is very family friendly. Plenty to do and plenty of room to spread out and enjoy some time with your loved ones

Very beautiful huge park. Concerts in summer time. Beautiful beach. Food trucks. Huge parking for free. Public restrooms. Great views. Lovely sunset and sunrise

Huge waterfront park along Cleveland' Lake Erie coast. Come to watch the sunset, walk on trails, swim, play sand volleyball, kayak or paddle board, enjoy the sun set, enjoy the water, go fishing off the rocks, fishing platform or pier, relax on the rocks, grass, in the woods, anywhere. Plenty of benches, tables, grills. Clubhouse has food and drinks in the summer., Bathrooms in 3 areas. Bring your kids or dogs. It has everything! Concerts and festivals in the summer. Beautifully landscaped and maintained.

Edgewater Park is a beautiful urban oasis with stunning lake views and lush greenery. It's perfect for picnics, walks, and enjoying nature in the heart of the city. The park is well-maintained, and the amenities like playgrounds and trails make it great for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

I was at Edgewater during a snow storm and it was a blast. The roads and paths were largely free of slow and ice and it's a great place to experience the frozen lake. Always has done great views of downtown as well. Highly recommend walking out onto the lake and savoring a definitive Cleveland winter experience! Just make sure you layer up because there's no protection from the wind here!

It's a beautiful park, but the crowds can occasionally become too large and parking can be an issue if you're unable to walk or bike here. There is so much more to it than the beach, which really only encompasses a small fraction of the whole park. I've lived within walking distance for a few years and I'm still finding new areas I never knew about.

Beautiful Park, looks like the beach!!! Amazing for dates, hiking, sitting on the pier, and I saw alot of people having picnics. Great for a family outing or walking your dog too.

Excellent spot for views of Lake Erie, family fun, exercise or tourist attractions. One of the Cleveland script signs is at upper Edgewater park. Playground is incredible. Beach isn't the cleanest but it's free & a nice spot for beach combing or walking.

Beautiful park!!! There is a nice walking/biking trail. The beach is pretty large with clear water. A long pier for fishing or just enjoying the view. Lots of picnic tables with grills for family cookouts. Pet friendly, i saw several dogs out for a stroll. Recommend 💚💯💯

Great place for the entire family. Plenty of room for any activities. It has picnic tables and public restrooms. The beach is really nice and has more than enough parking spots for easy access. Tons of fun and scenic photo opportunities too.

One of the best, if not the best place to see the Cleveland skyline from Upper Edgewater! Great park to walk, ride your bike, or sit at a picnic table for lunch. The beach is usually clean and we always feel safe going here. Highly recommend catching a sunrise at either the pier or upper Edgewater to start your morning!

WOW, what a park! It's absolutely beautiful here. I could have stayed here my whole trip and been very content. A must see if you're close by.

Out on an adventure with the family and drove across this beautiful scenery. Not much picnic area but lots of parking and a beautiful view and a lighthouse out in the distance as well
The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is one of the most popular Zoos in Northeast Ohio. The zoo has a wide range of attractions, including an African savanna, Asian highlands, Australian adventure, a lush rainforest and more. There are also 4D theaters and the Ben Gogolick Giraffe Encounter.
I love this zoo. You can see the care they put in for all the animals, from the new habitats for the tigers and leopards to the invertebrates in the Rainforest building everyone is so well cared for. Very clean and well landscaped too. I highly recommend buying your tickets in advance, or if you're local going in for the membership. It pays for itself in just a few visits and it's such an amazing organization to support.

Took my grandchildren to the Asian Lantern Festival and they loved it! The photos are just a small fraction of the attractions and exhibits that they displayed! It was so much to see and really beautiful, but be prepared to put on your comfortable walking shoes! You can either walk through or drive-through...$66 for 4 pack tickets, is not bad. $22 if purchased separately! Really a unique experience!
Chris Nichols — Google review
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is a must stop for year-long fun. During summer you can visit the animals, in fall plan a visit for Boo at the Zoo. My family's favorite tradition is to visit the Cleveland Zoo for Wild Winter Nights. Walking through the beautiful light displays and listening to the carols is a holiday treat. You think it would be too cold, but a hot chocolate or mulled cider warms you up! This year, we tried the drive-through, and it was just as enjoyable! I look forward to seeing Wild Winter Nights in winter, as much as I enjoy visiting the animals during summer.

Best Zoo I've been to. Everything was well designed so that you could have multiple views of each exhibit. The educational signs around the park were really neat too. Very clean. Animals are clearly cared for and seem content. Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful place!
Heather Dubois — Google review
Excellent experience all around, would highly recommend! Exhibits were well laid out and cleaned, and other foliage/scenery was delightfully themed as well. Overall layout was quite good, although there could be some improvements on directional signage. The rainforest experience was excellent, wrapping up an amazing visit!
Kendall Roth — Google review
Amazing zoo! Very well-kept. Saw so many animals up close and many unique animals we had never seen at other zoos. We were here during the lantern festival during the daytime and even though the lanterns weren't lit up they were beautiful and added so much to the experience. Lots of great food options too. We were visiting from out of state and were very impressed with this zoo.
Katherine LeRoy Merry — Google review
Another incredible zoo experience with abundant animal and aquatic exhibits. The grounds were gorgeous, and improvements are in the works.
Perhaps the only ding is that one must retrace their steps several times to go from one habitat to another. Lots of walking; we covered over 5 miles on our visit. Would prefer a loop network or some other connections to avoid backtracking.
Jack Sweeney — Google review
My wife, son (aged 8 months), and I went on a Sunday and it was a wonderful time! We got close to some of our favorite animals (elephants and giraffes) and had a great time exploring the various areas and exhibits. Tickets were $19 for adults and under 2 got in for free which was great. If you have kids and are looking for a good outing I recommend checking it out!
Also, they have a nice nursing / comfort station by the entrance restrooms. My wife used it to feed my son and it was great to have a spot to do so with privacy.

I recently visited With family in the local zoo and I must say it was an incredible experience. The variety of animals was impressive, ranging from majestic big cats to playful primates and exotic birds. The zoo had well-maintained enclosures that resembled natural habitats, providing a comfortable and safe environment for the animals.
Overall, I had a fantastic time at the zoo. It was educational, entertaining, and provided a great opportunity to connect with nature and wildlife. I would highly recommend visiting this zoo to anyone looking for an enjoyable and educational day out.

We always have fun at this zoo! But we were sad to find out that the primate building is closed right now. We are in town for such a short time, we missed seeing one of our favorite areas. The play area in the Australia section was a lot of fun for my kids. I hope we'll have a chance to come back!

I have gone countless times in the last 6 months and I have still yet to see everything! Staff is always helpful and friendly and willing to speak with guests and it gives for a better experience. I know that the staff there work extremely hard and I appreciate all that they do. I definitely bring family and friends of all ages there everyone can have a great time.

This is a nice enough zoo. The landscaping is quite nice. The current resident artist has gorgeous sculpture installations. The animals we did see were very nice and well taken care of. Things that bumped the rating down for me: the map is terrible, like literally almost impossible to make actual sense of. You're better off wandering around hoping you come across what you're looking for. There's a lot of dead space. Again, the landscaping is very well done, but you're walking trough significant portions of the zoo with not much to look at or interact with. Being close to Columbus, it's a super tough comparison because the zoo in Columbus is absolutely amazing. It was worth going, but not my favorite zoo.
Elise Garber — Google review
Asian Lantern festival was beautiful. The show was quite entertaining and the food tasty. Could not if asked for a better night to walk around and admire the festive lights.
J-Kube — Google review
The zoo is such a fun place to go, and the Asian Lantern Festival is just a spectacular event. Going early affords you better pictures but as night time falls the colors just jump out at you. Some of the displays move. The whole park is decorated with exhibits and whether you're young or old I'm sure you will enjoy it.
Nancy Pringle — Google review
Been here for normal zoo hours and it's a great zoo. Has tons of animals, is a good size to spend a few hours walking around. But it's not too big that you might not make it to every area of the zoo before you leave. Nice and clean, friendly staff. Has a good selection of food if you come hungry. And I love all the events they do. I come here every year for the Asian lantern festival and it's always a good time. They have so many unique decorations put up. It also different every year. Definitely try to show up when it's starting to get dark so you can really enjoy all the lights they have up

Amazing zoo. I have been all over the country to see zoos and this one is one of my favorites. Each exhibit is well crafted and there are lots of animals to see. I definitely recommend going early in the morning so you can take your time. The parking lot fills up quickly. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this if you are a fan of zoos.

We visited the zoo on a Sunday night in August to see the Lantern Festival. We only had a few animal.sightings, so I can't say much about that. However, the Festival we went for was amazing.
We were there a little before dark, so we had a chance to see everything before and after it was lit up. If you have a chance to visit the zoo for this event, I highly recommend doing so. Absolutely beautiful with lots of photo ops and just a really awesome experience to walk through (we did not do the driving tour).
Jackie Adler — Google review
One of the most beautiful and well kept zoos I have been too. Delicious food, fun extra activities, great hands on play and experience for the kids to enjoy. The elephant exhibit was particularly amazing. We love visiting even though we are from out of town and the Zoo is so large we spend hours there without seeing it all! So fun!
Jennifer James — Google review
Wear comfortable shoes, lots of walking through this beautiful zoo. Animals look well-kept and staff appear to really care for them. Lots of families with young children, nice place to spend a few hours. Events ran through the day and we had a great time - you better believe we rode the carousel during our visit!
Theresa St. John — Google review
A great Zoo! Animals are really taken care of and was super clean. Even in the winter when it’s cold, they do a great job making sure the animals are comfortable. I went in late February; a lot of the shops where closed and the train was closed for the season but the layout of the park is like a huge circle and easy to see all the exhibits. For me ( no kids and mid thirties) I saw everything within three hours. They also have plenty of places to sit and rest and restrooms in every area.
Monica DeSha — Google review
This is a really cool zoo. The animals are awesome! The exhibits are close up and personal with many of the animals (safely, of course). There are a plethora of refreshments available as well!
Carl Garfield — Google review
A beautiful zoo! Mature forest and well maintained grounds. Pretty spread out so be prepared for some serious and challenging walking although they do offer a free shuttle to the primate, cat & aquatics area...but it's a very nice walk up the boardwalk, just easier back down.
African area is great. Elephants and rhino aren't to be missed. Giraffe feeding is always fun and a challenge to make them use the 18" tongue and work for it. Waterfowl lake is beautiful. Wilderness trek is a trek but don't miss it! Only really disappointing area was Australia. Aviary was closed and the kangaroo walk-about isn't the free range walk-about I've experienced in most other zoos.
Wrist band is worth it, especially if you have kids. Gets you the 4D theater, carousel, train and discounts on other attractions. Be there for elephant crossing, either morning or evening.
Been here many times since my first visit in June of 2023 including the Asian Lantern Festival and Wild Winter Lights. And finally got a membership.
Kenneth Hanf — Google review
I had the pleasure to visit during their Corpse Flower bloom in summer 2022.
It was the highlight and reason for visiting, and it was stellar! Zoo staff were also amazing for the massive line that formed, and general guidance.
It was my first time at the zoo, and I got to see all of the animals on display, as well as attend the Asian Lantern Festival.
It is an interactive zoo, and has plenty of animals on display, and educational opportunities.
Viktor Phelps — Google review
We love the zoo! They say the membership pays for itself in 2 visits, and they’re honestly not lying. We have gone so many times this past year, taken advantage of the discounted tickets for their after hours specials, and have also taken advantage of their concessions and gift shops. It’s the perfect excursion for us to do as a family, and the membership really has saved us a ton of money. All of the employees and volunteers are soooo friendly, and love sharing their knowledge on the animals, and even the personalities of each individual one. I will forever sing the Cleveland Metroparks’ Zoo’s praises, and highly recommend the membership to anyone and everyone.
The Cleveland Metroparks Administration Office manages over 22,000 acres in 18 different locations. Visitors can enjoy activities such as sledding, golfing, and picnicking while also having the opportunity to take pictures of the animals. However, food prices may be expensive on Mondays so visitors are advised to bring their own. The venue is a community asset and staff provide top-notch service including help with lost and found items.
It is a beautiful place. So much to see. You can take beautiful pictures of the animals. There is so much to see so much to do too. If you do go on a Monday I would pack food because food is expensive on Mondays'. So enjoy your time there... Have fun. 🙂

Most of the Metro parks system is very clean but for some reason there's an UNGODLY amount of rangers that the sit in the back of parking lots burning fuel In big SUV with nothing to do. It's not like there's any crime at the zoo LOL

So much fun. Great time with the family. The zoo is so large we'll have to go more than once to see it all. Would definitely recommend a stroller for the little ones.
Kelsey Brown — Google review
The zoo is nice and spacious and the exhibits are great. One draw back of visiting the zoo today was getting something to eat! At 4:20pm most Cafe's were already closed! Visitors should be able to buy food up until the zoo closes.
I had not been here in years, but upon my return, I was glad to see that this nice winery had not changed. They have million dollar views from their high perch in this part of Summit County which provides terrifically views. As the saying goes, form follows function, and as a place to share nice wines with family and friends, they succeed. While I prefer to have some bread and cheese with my wine, the options here are scarce. So plan accordingly. Call the winery and make appropriate plans. You will have a nice time here. Enjoy life...enjoy The Winery at Wolf Creek.

I’ve been coming to the winery for many years. I LOVE white lies! Today I attended my first event in the great room, it was absolutely beautiful. The views were great and it was just private enough from the main winery. Our bartender at the event was great and kept the wine coming! One of the best bridal showers I’ve been to.

Me and my girlfriends come here every year for Goat Derby. The first two years we were able to come in, sit down, enjoy the wine, great food vendors were available and the atmosphere was wonderful. The past two years however, they have removed all of the tables from the inside room next to the main bar, we think to promote their VIP option $$$ to make it more exclusive to sit inside. As a result there was nowhere to sit with the exception of a few picnic tables outside, with the turn out being so big the competition is steep for those few tables. The past two years we have left early due to being freezing cold, wet and unable to sit down. Trying again this year, bringing our own chairs just in case, hoping for the best.

I used to live really close to Mapleside Farms. When my kids were little we used to take them there in the fall for the festivities. Back then Mapleside was full to the bursting with gifts, baked goods and everything apple in the fall. I went recently for the first time in about 15 years. I was very saddened to see that there was nothing left of the old place I remember. There was apple cider in the cooler case and a few products for sale. The bakery did smell delicious. Bought the place was pretty much deserted. Unfortunately I think it's a sign of the times. Small businesses are really getting squeezed out. Nobody wants to buy gifts at small businesses. Which is really sad. I will say that their new barn for special events is absolutely gorgeous! I am hoping that this is how they will continue into the future. Their apple cider is the best. We traveled there to buy 5 gallons we are converting to hard cider. I'm including some photos of the outstanding view of the valley behind them. And the new event barn.

I have filmed 3 different weddings at Mapleside Farms barn, one of which was my first ever wedding! I filmed this particular wedding in May of 2022. This has always been a great venue for me and offers the perfect amount of everything. This place on any given day with a sunset alone has a great vibe, so of course weddings are fantastic. I am excited to see the new updates and look forward to coming back here as soon as the next wedding allows! Drone pictures from this awesome 3rd experience. Enjoy!

This was my annual trip to Mapleside Farm while I am on my Fall vacation. It was beautiful as usual. My family and I live for the cider and hot apple doughnuts. It has become a Fall tradition. I now take my grand daughter.

We visited for the fall festival. We had kids ranging from 8-18 (or much older if you count me in) and we all had a blast! They have corn mazes, hay rides, pig races, giant bounce pads, and much more. The 300+ foot slide down the side of the hill (pictured) was definitely the highlight! Those young people hauling the burlap sacks back up the hill deserve a raise or at least a tip jar. The fresh, hot, apple cider donuts were amazing and washing them down with a cider slush was great. So many foods that smelled so good, but we couldn't try them all. Prices were fair. All of the employees were polite. It was very well run and enjoyable.

The property was relatively clean and calm. My family and I were able to relax sitting over the side of the hill top. I’ll definitely go back in the fall for some of the events. Pretty empty though since it’s summer time.

It was worth the drive from Cleveland. There are multiple tractor rides (hay ride, pig and cow cars, etc). Animals. Legendary pig races. Hot apple cider and really good food. Pumpkin patch. Beautiful views and backgrounds for pictures. They also take credit cards everywhere you may need to spend money.
James Trowbridge — Google review
All I can say is wow! My mom and I went to one of the Pumpkin Village weekends where nearly the whole farm is transformed. There are 7 different themed weekends and even though I'm an hour away this will now be a yearly tradition!
The parking was pretty easy to figure out, just make sure you read their website for any updates. We bought our tickets at the gate and went on a Saturday around 4:00 p.m. Surprisingly, despite the amount of people, it did not feel busy at all just because there's so much to do!
Plenty of portapottys - so no wait!
We rode a giant slide, watched a live play that was very cute, there was tons of food to choose from, the fries looked so good! They also had spots for you to buy alcoholic drinks. They had liquor, wine, beer and other non-alcoholic choices. Of course I chose my first spooky beer of the season!
We took a hayride around the orchard but they also have all kinds of different things for kids. I can't even begin to describe how much there was to do!
We left with pumpkins and cider and plenty of memories. :)
This is a must do if you're in the area!
A very relaxing trip down the canal, as if you had lived back in these times. 2 horses pull the boat down to a lock, then they turn the boat around and go back. They allow you to go up top of the boat (for a few minutes, 5 at a time) to get the best view Educational and interesting, there's a 30 minute movie that's a must see before departure time, and boat ride is 1hour. Boats run 1pm and 2:30 only most days in the summer and only on Saturday and Sunday in spring and fall.

this is an absolutely beautiful park. I am very interested in the history surrounding the Ohio and Erie Canal. The visitor center has wonderful displays and a video of the history before you take the canal boat trip. The cost is very reasonable and the trip is enchanting. I highly recommend this.
Also, remember Canal Fulton is an historical town. There are many quaint shops and restaurants to enjoy.

A little escape from the world. My mom, daughter and I really enjoyed our tour. Great tour guide. Our favorite part was the old window Christmas displays. We went home feeling so happy and glowing from our experience here. Great job!

What an amazing collection of Christmas memorabilia, toys, store Christmas window displays, and Christmas movie props. Came here for my sister's "Christmas in July" birthday and we were amazed at the quality of everything we saw on the 2 hour tour.
The dedication by their team to not only aquire such a collection, but also get everything working and moving properly is truly a spectacle worth stopping by to see.
Highly, highly recommended!

Wonderful experience at this amazing place! The passion and love that goes into this place is evident. Every worker made it fun and special. Thousands of unique items from decades of Christmas movies and shows. Take the kids and plan to spend several hours.

This place is one of the most magical places on earth, and it's only 40 minutes from my house. It's a must stop for the holiday season. We got a picture with Santa. He was absolutely wonderful and kind. For seeing so many people, he was still cheerful and gave such a jolly smile for our picture. Which was $11, to me, very affordable. We were blown away by the entire experience.
My only objection was that there was only one bathroom at the end of the over two hour tour. Overall, I do highly recommend it!

We had such an amazing time. As someone who absolutely loveeeesss Christmas, I definitely recommend this place! We drove about 4 hours to get here and it was definitely worth it. You can just feel like Christmas spirit as soon as you walk through the door. We are definitely coming back next year and the year after that. The staff here is amazing. Every room is unique and you can tell a lot of thought was put into each arrangement. They don’t just have Christmas items up. Each item is unique and special and you can tell it is treated with care! I can’t stress enough how lovely this place is. Mark Klaus is like a real life Santa Claus giving people the gift of Christmas. I’m truly grateful for this place and all of the wonderful staff! Thank you so much!
Margan Harris — Google review
Amazing place, they really packed a lot into the area. You got to learn a lot of information about certain Christmas movies, Christmas characters, the actors, and even just how some were made. A lot of it was showcasing items in movies which I felt that part was a bit boring. They did not have many areas to sit once you were in there, so it got a little tiring there. The final room was by far my favorite. There was a giant slide that was really a lot faster than I expected, and amazing things to look at. If you are looking for something to do with your family for the Christmas season, I recommend castle Noel.

An amazing treat for any Christmas fan! Movie props, classic window displays, and an abundance of cheer! It’s a great stop for all ages! I couldn’t recommend a place more! Well done!

I think this is a great place to visit. There are so many cool movie memorabilia items to see. I would recommend visiting here. The only thing I would like to see changed is not having to watch any videos. I would rather have extra time to look in the toy room. We really enjoyed the big slide and getting a family photo with Santa. Photos are $12 which I thought was affordable. This is a fun place for adults and children.

Having lived in Ohio most of my life, I don't understand how I never heard of this place before 3 weeks ago. It is truly an experience worth having, even for those who are not "Christmas people". The memorabilia and collection stored inside these walls is truly enchanting and the care each tour guide demonstrates to maintain that "Christmas spirit" makes it all the more enjoyable. I would recommend this place based solely on the toy room (if you know, you know) but certainly the entire experience is worth the trip.

Such an Amazing time for all of us. I love the whole setup. The gift shop has a wide variety of things to choose from. Upon entry/starting you are able to enjoy a purchased adult beverage during the tour/visit. So much to learn and see. We had a blast!

Lovely staff and a wonderful collection. I wish you were allowed to browse for longer in their collection. In certain rooms a game of I Spy would be spectacular.

Wish you could do a self tour. We were shuffled through like a herd of cattle. The rooms my Hubs & I wanted to see longer we weren't able to spend more time in.
I will also state that we had reserved tickets and our tour left 25 minutes behind schedule. At 10am on a weekday the 1st week of November. So, not on a weekend and not a busy time. 😕 it wasn't the experience we were hoping for. The last room was neat and I really appreciate all the hard work and wonderful restoration it takes for the decorations.
Not the Christmas joy I was hoping for.

Great experience ,,Nostalgia,, Each room kept your attention and held your interest.. expect 2-3 hours for the experience. ( I did not look at this beforehand we picked a later time frame it was okay but the baby was a bit crabby by the end #plan accordingly ) everyone was friendly helpful and each experience was unique. Love ❤️!

Took our baby girl to castle Noel for her first Christmas it was absolutely wonderful! However, the group sizes for the tours were way too big and most of the time while the tour guide was explaining things we were still in the other room and we could barely hear them or see what they were talking about. Also, we were taking a back that we could not take pictures with Santa as part of our original ticket price when we bought them for the tour. but it did not ruin our experience that much. I just wish that it was just a little better.
the good outweighs the bad exponentially look forward to coming back next season

We had a lot of fun. Found parking pretty quick, then we walked around the square enjoying the lights.
Inside Castle Noel had lots of history, Interesting room after interesting room filled with great decorations. Staff Does a great job. Definitely something to check out.
You'll be North-Polish by the time you walk out too...

Amazing place to walk down memory lane from all the old classic movies to the amazing Saks 5th Ave displays. Going down the red slide from The Christmas Story!!! You will definitely spend at least 1.5hr inside this guided tour.
This organization really has the city of Lorain's best interest in mind. Without them we wouldn't have Rockin On The River, which is one of my favorite things to attend in the summer. I'm always excited to see what they do with Midway Mall since they are the owners now!

This is one of my favorite places in Lorain County. The beach is always clean and quiet. I love taking my kids to swim and the beach playground is an amazing bonus. I'm thrilled to hear that there is funding to upgrade it as it's a bit worn down (to be expected as it's on a beach). I love the rose garden. There is equipment to rent. It's just a great area representing what our little community has potential to be.

Happy people enjoying bliss. Visit for a dose of stress relief 😊❤️. Beautiful rose bushes fragrant and vibrant, amazing lakefront views, soft grass to tickle your toes, good vibes to sooth your soul. There are also benches to lounge upon, a pavilion, plenty of garbage cans to dispose waste, on site park rangers, and public restrooms. A must visit if you are in Lorain Ohio. 👍😍

A wonderful place to spend with family. This place has a fun park for children, it has gazebos to spend a picnic day, it also has a center to reserve and carry out an activity up to weddings. You can enjoy the sun, bathe with very clean water. Pets are not allowed, you have access to a small library so you can access to bike, fun games using the library card. Honestly you will not regret it, the hours will go by quickly in the blink of an eye of how much fun you will have.

Rose garden is beautiful in late spring to early summer when roses are in full bloom. Fountain and roses are a nice backdrop for wedding, prom, and homecoming photos. Beach is ok, shallow swimming area with a lifeguard posted during peak season. Sand could be nicer but it is a lake beach. Summer beach volleyball tournaments are held here. Also a good spot to watch storms out over the lake.

The beach was clean and well-groomed with a good view of sunset. It has a good sized play structure for kids, a rose garden and fountain that is lit at night.

What a great park! I ventured out to explore some new areas and came across Lakeview Park. It was more than a park. Had a great beach, restaurant on site was good. The service there was extremely friendly. Enjoyed the Rose Garden the fountain, and the recycling fish. I loved being able to sit by the beach without having to go directly on the beach with all the sand as I was not dressed for that. Very clean.

This was my first time at Lakeview Park, and it was fantastic. There is a playground area down on the beach, you can swim here, there's restrooms and concessions, a large water fountain, a rose garden, plenty of benches to sit down on, and at least 2 pavilions. I believe there's something for everyone at this park. Oh, lots of parking g as well.

Great beach! Beautiful place. There are some lovely memorials around the park. Beautiful flower gardens all over and a fantastic view of the sunset! Plenty of room for activities and enjoying a moment in time at the park.
Along with the fabulous repertoire the OLO programs, I'm amazed how the whole production staff seems to come up with so much magic. The musicianship of the singers and orchestra is excellent.

An otherwise delightful performance of Girl Crazy was spoiled today (7/14) by an orchestra that was too loud (drowning out voices) and a sound system that failed in act one but was better managed in act two. Much of the dialogue and songs was indecipherable. Choreography was generally excellent. Having had season tickets for nine years, today was a disappointment.

This place was awesome! I went early October, last year. The staff, the surroundings, the experience was more than I expected. I have a fear of heights, but have always wanted to zipline. I am thankful for our guides, Curtis and Jared and the group of people who shared this experience. They were patient and kind. Couldn't have asked for a more supportive group. Thank You All!!! I do intend on returning.

Booked this for my daughter's birthday since she wanted to go. Booking went great no issues staff was friendly the entire time with al my questions. Once we arrived everyone was pleasantly nice and encouraging since this was our first time. The nervous anxiety hit a peak on the climb to the first line but after that first zip we were all hooked. My daughter's only complaint was we couldn't go all day. We will be booking another trip soon hoping to take the whole family.

I had a terrible time when I visited common ground. I was kicked off the course halfway through because I couldn’t get the hang of manually breaking. The guides didn’t care to listen when I was asking for advice. Instead I was embarrassed and told I would NOT be getting a refund. So beware future zip line guests… if you need extra attention to get the hang of it, you won’t get it here. And you won’t get a refund if you can’t finish.

Fantastic experience! Our guides were friendly and efficient as we zipped through the trees, sharing tidbits about the plants and animals in the area. And super-safe, keeping an eye on approaching storms. It's amazing to have this type of outdoor experience so close to the West suburbs and even downtown Cleveland.

If you like Butter, yes I said Butter! They have a Cheese for you, Amish Butter cheese. I absolutely loved it!! Just melts in your mouth! We also got a Baby Swiss Cheese Roll. We will have to go back for the Sharp, Swiss next time, Hubby won't stop talking about it and now the kids want to try it.

We drive over 2 hrs each way to load up on cheese. Due to the pandemic the prices have skyrocketed like most places did. We will definitely be going back but perhaps not as much since the main reason was such a huge difference then our local grocery stores. Gas prices shot up to boot. It's charming tho

So I went on a Saturday around 1 and the store was packed not quite enough room to walk around and look without stepping on someone else. There was a line to buy some specialty cheeses so I skipped waiting in line and just grabbed some cheese that was sitting in the cooler. I would recommend the variety bits as they are tasty the pepper Jack cheese in the variety bits was amazing. The Ziller cheese I was told was the #2 cheese in the world, not sure where the voting was or what type of cheeses were being judged that is just what the lady behind the counter said while handing out samples. I’d suggest not to go on a weekend if you have the option unless you don’t mind right quarters and waiting in line.

Had a great visit to Guggisberg Cheese factory. They gave me samples and they were all good. The baby Swiss is really good but the cheese called Ziller was my favorite. I bought some hot chocolate powder as well.

Going to the Amish country and not visiting Guggisberg Cheese is unthinkable! Unless you have a genuine reason not to do so.
The cheese factory is about two miles off the main road between Millersberg and Berlin. The store has a fabulous collection of goodies - cheeses, meats (not for me though as a vegetarian), hot sauces, jams and jellies, soft drinks .. I could pick up only as much as my helmet would hold - 4/5 types of cheese and some hot sauce bottles. Found the smaller pieces of buttery cheese really appetizing and at $2.95 a small box, I should have probably picked up some more. Very little salt, and a hint of being sweet, in fact .. simply wow! The horseradish flavored cheese was simply outstanding. I was indeed happy to have taken the small detour and fill my bag with the goodies. Next time I am here, I am going to have a larger bag with me!

We had an enjoyable quick visit here. We were able to sample and purchase some cheese. It was very busy, so we want to go back another time when it's less busy so we can look around more.
Upon check out our kids were given a coloring book, sticker, a hat and a fan shaped like a cow. They really enjoyed that and of course so did we.
We're looking forward to visiting again.

Charming stop with housebaked Amish goods, crafts, seasonal produce & a petting zoo.
This is a nice petting farm. We actually had the opportunity to watch an animal in labor and giving birth. This place is also a bakery. Great for the kids and adults as well. Indoor and outdoor. I believe we also took a carriage ride here for an extra cost.

This is a true gem and a must see in Amish Country! My daughter loves seeing all the animals and feeding them carrots. This visit she wanted to ride a horse. She chose "Big Bob" and we went on a ride. She loved it. They have goats on the roof of the barn to feed via the ice-cream cone conveyor belt. They have plenty of seasonal items. Right now they had pumpkins and fall flowers. They have great food options for a snack or a meal. Overall a great place for your whole family!
Jesse Goodall — Google review
A large agri-entertainment facility with a petting area (closed during our visit), a farm store and a bakery. The baked goods were, well "good" comes to mind. We bought a couple cream sticks and asked for 2 coffee to wash them down but they ran out of coffee. Everything we saw here was good. But everything we saw we had seen in two or three other places. There just wasn't anything that grabbed you. Maybe if you had kids the petting area would be an attraction. But without it, and with it being off the beaten track, we probably will skip it it the future.

Beautiful experience for kids and adults alike. Locally manufactured goods and food in the stores with the highlight being the massive petting zoo, of course!
You can buy vegetables for the animals (at super fair prices!) to feed, pet & cuddle them. Inside was also a huge canary aviary where the birds sat on your hands to pick some of the greens.
Horses, sheep, goats, bulls, alpacas, pigs, chicken, turkeys, … it’s awesome!
If that’s not enough: enjoy the beauty of the Amish countryside frequented by their classy horse carriages.

The Amish buggy ride is a fun experience. We had a driver that was Amish & born in the area. He was very friendly & talkative. Great visit also.. the produce & store has a good selection. Of course picked up way more of everything because it's fresh. Would definitely return.

We visited this farm and bakery last Saturday. I recommend going in the bakery first getting your treats and eating them before going over to the animal exhibit. The bakery was very good clean and oh my gosh the sweets from there were divine. We had cream sticks my son had a large donut. I wanted a fry pie but though today I'll get Creamsticks. The farm part was nice my son loved it we got a kick out of all the animals. The only thing I would say is 6 dollars a person was just a little steep and then having to pay for added food it just seems a little high but we had a good time despite. And this time there was more animals

When visiting Amish Country in Ohio, Hersherger’s Farm and Bakery is always a great stop for all ages. It has been fun to watch the changes they have made to the place through the years. In addition to being a farm and bakery, there is a country craft store, a concession stand, and a petting zoo with a small fee for the kids. And, if you walk behind the craft store, you can also check out the farm’s work horses.

Lovely set of Amish shops and attractions. The line of food stalls along the market really helped drive that community market feel, too. Lots to do if you come with any little ones: carriage rides, petting zoos, lots of sweets. Personally, I enjoyed the selection of fry pies and leather goods. Parking is ample and the whole lot is kept very clean

What a wonderful place to take the kids in Amish Country! I've been to the area and driven by here so many times, but never stopped here for the petting zoo until the other day with my toddler. The petting zoo and buggy ride exceeded my expectations and they were much more affordable than I expected too. Some of the animals are even out walking around with everyone and napping in the open where the kids can pet them easily and some you can pick up and hold. It's not your average petting zoo, there were so many animals to see and pet! The bakery was great...next time I'll bring a cooler with me to buy refrigerated items. Our buggy driver was so sweet and offered such a wonderful experience! We also had delicious homemade ice cream before leaving, and they also had homemade kettle corn and local angus burgers and more! What a neat place to spend a couple hours.

Absolutely the most amazing way to spend a few hours with friends and family.
No better time to go than early October as the trees are changing colors 🍂 and the pumpkins sit arranged in the most beautiful displays.
The entire experience is unforgettable, especially for children.
If a petting zoo could EVER be described as "clean" and "orderly" this one fits the description. It's literally perfect! And the animals are incredibly healthy and well taken care of.
The Amish are some of the most extraordinary people in the world, and they do EVERYTHING with excellence. It's unmatched!

We have been going to this place since my daughter was barely able to walk and she loves it! It is a very fun atmosphere and the animals are so gentle and lovable!
Their food truck has delicious food but isn’t open during the winter season so we usually just go in the bakery and get some cheese and trail or beef sticks and cheese. We definitely recommend checking this place out, especially in the summer when they have horse and buggy rides and the food truck is open :)

Pine tree farm, furniture/decoration shop and restaurant. My wife spends hours and dollars here. The restaurant is wonderful. They have multiple daily specials so every visit is unique. A beautiful country barn that is the location of both a restaurant and gift and furniture destination. Around Christmas it is also a place to buy Christmas trees. What started out as a Christmas tree farm has turned into so much more. At the Pine Tree Barn it’s Christmas year round. At least it is in the gift shop! But it is more than just a Christmas store. The shop is housed in a converted 1800s barn and sells all kinds of specialty items as well as furniture.
If you visit…be sure to stop in the back of the store and eat at their quaint restaurant. Because the weather was perfect, we asked to sit outside to enjoy the view while eating our soup and sandwich. But the highlight of lunch was the homemade dessert options. We opted for the Crumb Lemon Muffins; they were fantastic.
I highly recommend after the gift shop visit, you take a stroll out back to check out the gazebo, Christmas trees and lake. Such beautiful scenery. It makes for a wonderful lunch outing!

Very quaint place. Food was delicious (chicken wrap, onion soup and ham and chicken crepes, raspberry cream pie)
Beautiful shop with so many beautiful things to look at and buy (think Cracker Barrel lobby).
We lunched on the back porch/deck. It was very hot (no cross breeze).
Our server was a doll and she fixed one minor issue with our meal.
Beautiful views. The clientele was a distinguished mature crowd.

This place is great to cut down your own fresh Christmas tree, lots of options. This was our second time, and is sure to be a tradition for years to come. We were let down by the restaurant, made reservations for a Monday at noon. Waited 45 minutes after placing our order before walking out as we still did not have soups or the sandwiches we ordered. May be worth the wait if you have no other plans for the day (like cutting down a tree and then decorating it at home an hour away).

It's a beautiful scenic view and a lovely one tank trip. There were quite a few "older" people shopping and although it was previously a barn, I felt the uneven floors, lots of steps and lack of restrooms on the main floor was inconvenient. Very pricey. Good food in the restaurant and our waitress was very attentive to our needs.

Love love it here! Can't wait to go back when it's nice out to enjoy the property. It is gorgeous. Cute little shop areas with all sorts of goodies. Ate lunch in the cafe. The French onion soup was delicious, the salad and white French dressing was so yummy. The best was my lemon muffin. Still warm and the lemon flavor was amazing! The furniture isba little too pricey for me but some unique pieces. Came back for mother's day weekend. The food was just as excellent but the view even more breathtaking. My mom truly enjoyed herself. Just love it here!
Unexpected tourist stop on I 71 that has become a destination for many. Such a delightful surprise! Reminiscent of a small town farmers market, offering nostalgia and homemade candies, fudge, jams, spreads, meats, tons of cheeses, snacks, gifts, etc. The atmosphere is friendly and the entire place is clean and well kept. Tons of free samples and a cafe ready to make you a fresh sandwich. If you’re a cheese and candy lover, this place is Heaven on earth!

I've driven by this place a lot over the past 9 years and finally decided to stop in. Now I'll stop each time. 😊 This place is huge. The upstairs is filled with cheese of all flavors and different meats. Lots of snacks, tea,, ice cream and misc. downstairs along with a place to get lunch.
Staff is so friendly and they offer samples. Even in the candy shop! The kids were excited and I didn't complain 😉. I was so busy looking I didn't get photos inside.

Loved it!! You may sample any cheese in the store, same with the candy part. Great tasty samples...was not let down...I could've been here for hours but I had to get moving. Got some goodies and I'm good now.

We came for the fresh local honey but we conquered the cheese! We arrived less than 30 minutes before closing but the staff was super friendly. The owner (or manager) saw us oohing over the cheese section and brought us over for tastings. Definitely a great place to visit! 👍

This place is really neat. First off it’s easy to get to from the interstate and there’s plenty of large vehicle parking.
They’ve got a few buildings to check, but you should start with the big one. Huge selection of all sorts of food. Cheese, meats, snacks, jelly, sauces, I could go on and on. They’ve got a small restaurant that serves a perfect lunch. Mostly sandwiches.
The other building we went in had candy galore. Lots of unique stuff.
Well worth the stop for sure!!!

Fun and unique experience to break up the travel to Cleveland. Two different buildings - one has all the cheese and lots of other fun stuff. The other has lots of different candies, chocolate, fudge, etc. There is also an ice cream shop. As you walk up outdoor music is playing classic oldies - reminds me of Kings Island water Park. There is outdoor seating with a view of a pond. They use the old style huge, clunky registers to ring you up. Lots of staff so you won't wait in line and all are very friendly. The cheese is good - many different offerings. They let you try before buying. The chocolates are amazing. If it has a special seal on it - they make it there. Highly recommend the dark chocolate peanut butter cups. Prices are more expensive for the handmade but worth it.

Love this place! There are so many cheeses and sauces ect. I was really surprised that the prices were good. You can try just about anything. The candy shop is wild. Everyone here was so friendly and willing to help.

So many different types of cheese! If you love cheese, this is the place to go. They also have a nice selection of meat sticks, butters, teas and crackers. The chocolate store has lots of chocolate and delicious fudge. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the place was clean. We'll definitely be visiting again some time.

Ummm, they have a barn full of cheese! We had 300 miles left on our road trip, but saw a sign for Grandpa's Cheesebarn, so, yeah, here we are. If you love fermented cow juice with random flavors added as much as I do, don't miss this cheese lovers playground. They have plenty of samples to keep you full for days. Well worth the detour.

Grandpa's Cheesebarn is a GEM! There is SO much to try! It is very nice that you can sample just about everything before you buy. The staff is super friendly and the food that we purchased is very high quality. Nice little touch that you can buy an insulated bag and they provide an ice pack. Also, very nice little area between the cheesebarn and the candy store where you can sit and enjoy the things you purchased! LOVE this place!

Stopped in today, Sunday. It was really busy. But the lines moved quickly! Love getting to sample different items before buying them! And trying things never heard of. Bought so much stuff! Then went to restaurant and tried something new, big hot dogs with fried bacon, yum!! Will be going back!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here, bought way too much lol. So much to choose from, the selections of cheeses and other snack foods are tremendous. Variety is amazing
Then go to their sweet shoppe and again the selections of new and old fashion treats are never ending.
A bit pricey but the quality is excellent. 18 yr old cheddar is $39.99 a pound, we bought a small block and it is awesome. The double dipped malt balls are great but too much wax in the chocolate for me personally. Homemade thick fudge is awesome.
Looking forward to a trip back in a few months.

This hidden gem is Always a family favorite stop when traveling. They have the best selection of meats, cheeses, snacks, and candy. If you've never been here, be prepared to be blown away with the enormous selections. It's literally a barns worth of amazing delicatessen. If you need to make an enormously delicious charcuterie, then this would be the place to go.

Such a fun stop. When we arrives I didn’t know the cheese was on the 2nd floor of the. Barn. I literally went up 2 steps up the stairs and was hit with a strong cheese smell. It was amazing. Tons of stuff to look through. Different flavors and variety. We had a really fun time checking out and sampling all the different snacks. Really looking forward to make some broccoli cheddar soup, with this red onion cheddar!

I've been an Ohio resident my entire life, and after 29 years, I FINALLY visited Grandpa's Cheese Barn. 🧀 This place is a staple in the midwest and now I personally know why. This place is massive and there are endless varieties of cheeses, jams, fudge, and gifts. 🎁 You can sample any of the cheese or fudge products, which was nice because there are some strange concoctions that we just had to try (aka, the apple pie cheese). 😆 We bought a handful of goodies from both the cheese barn and the candy store next door. This was a great pitstop on the way back to Columbus from Cleveland.

Stopped for the cheese, but only left with the sweets. I’ll definitely be back when the crowd may be smaller for time to explore the cheesebarn. Happy to have gotten some sweets and samples of the fudge!
Cheers!

So many unique cheeses! The cheeses are upstairs, and you can sample as many as you like. Just ask one of the friendly staff behind the counter. My daughter tasted a 19 year old sharp cheddar. I ended up purchasing a smokey bacon ranch cheese, so good! The staff has stories to tell on different cheeses.
There are 2 candy stores, but we were only focused on the cheeses.
Percy is my buddy and is just amazing ... Bring him some live grubs or some clearly safe food for a peacock. What a bird!! Smart, kind, resilient and hopefully by now an established Milan icon! Please show kindness to this amazing bird! Long live Percy!

We really enjoyed it! We had our 7 & 9 year old boys with us and were worried they would get bored and touch things they shouldn't. They had plenty to keep them interested and occupied though and good news---nothing was touched or broken (after a stern pre-tour warning from Daddy)!! Very informative and interesting tour. I just wish the hours of the Milan museum were the same. Plenty to fill up an afternoon in this corner of Milan.

This museum might be small but it is filled with artifacts from the Edison Family. The tour does not only give insight into Edison's life as an inventor, but also insight into life in the mis 1800s in a community thriving due to the canal system in Ohio.

Fantastic tour guides, but Thomas Alva Edison was a remarkable inventor. Tour through his birthplace here in Milan and then his other inventions with voice and movies. Glenda and Dillon were remarkable guides. I was amazed at his prolificity.
Sizable state park with a scenic gorge, river & hemlock forest, plus campsites & lake view cabins.
This was my first time hiking at Mohican State Park. I started at the gorge overlook. It has amazing views. I then took a very steep trail from the overlook down to Clear Fork Mohican River. There is a new cable bridge that takes you across the river to a trail that I took to a covered bridge and then on to Big Lyons Falls and Little Lyons Falls. I was very impressed by the trails and how they are clearly marked. The river is beautiful as it winds its way through the gorge. The falls didn't have much water going over but the rock formations and the challenging hike was worth it. Mohican State Park is truly one of the best state parks in Ohio.

I stayed in campground B which is great because it's close to several trail heads and cost less. Water does not taste great, but the pit toilets were very clean and practically no smell, even in 85 degree heat. The river was very high as you can see. This was a nice experience because it was not busy. It would be very tight on a busy summer weekend though. I did shower in campground A. They were very clean and they also have a great camp store.

We stayed in the Cabin Camper #2. Small but functional cabin with a full size bed and a bunk bed, small table for 2, desk area, microwave, mini fridge and freezer. The fire ring had a small grill cooking over it. There was a window unit with heat and ac. My son is 6’4 and could stand comfortably. It’s actually much larger than it looks. Bathrooms are a short walk away. It was very quiet during the week. We enjoyed hearing barred owls around the fire at night. There was a nice playground not far. Very little traffic near the cabin. We enjoyed a family friendly hike to lyons falls that was a short drive from the campground.

We went on a Saturday in April that was pretty chilly but had a really good time. There were other people there but it wasn't too busy. We took a trail that was a little more difficult. You go down steep inclines and then it takes you along the river and then you go back up any steeper incline were at some spots you have to climb a small ladder at 90° angle or grab onto tree roots to help pull you up the incline because it's so steep. The trail itself was maybe only 18 in wide at some spots and a little bit muddy and sketchy. If you're not very athletic or get winded easily, I would not recommend that trail. Probably if you are afraid of heights that might not be the one for you either. I was definitely winded multiple times and had to stop and pause. But it was worth it and I want to go back when the weather is a little warmer. We would also like to go down there to camp and canoe at the canoe rental. There is also a ropes course and putt-putt at the spot we stopped at.

Had just a great time hiking through the St Park yesterday, 12/28. Low trail surfaces are muddy, but manageable (hiking boots, please). Some people traffic, but still plenty of time alone in the forest. Plenty of terrain variation if you want a workout. Looking forward to going back.

Campground was full for Easter weekend in April, WOW. Enjoyed the Lyon Falls trial. Walked it all the way around down over the covered bridge. Took us beginner's about 1.5 hours. River was high and fast so we didn't do much fishing. My only complaint is WHY DO PEOPLE FEEL ITS OK TO PUT THERE DOG IN THE CAMPER, GO TO ANOTHER SITE AND ALLOW IT TO BARK FOR 5 STRAIGHT HOURS?
Greg Bentkowski — Google review
Hiked from the Mohican Lodge and Conference center to Big/Little Lyon Falls to the covered bridge and back. Trails were a bit muddy, but being bridle trails I wasn’t surprised. It was a great 11.5mi hike. Only time I’ve been to Mohican was to paddle, but hiking is so much more pretty and less crowded than the river. Can’t wait to go back again to check out more trails.
Sandy Pringle — Google review
First time visit the Mohican state park! Great park with multiple walking trails! Visited two waterfalls, but the waterfalls flow so low! The most of trails are shaded in the forest! Not hot at all! One of the trail has some challenges with ladders! So interesting 😊

Mohican Gorge Loop trail is a very fun 1.8 mile loop. Tons of elevation change. From the parking lot I went to the left and it's 10-15 min of switchbacks to get you down to the bottom of the gorge and takes you along Clear Fork River. I did some rock hounding along the banks. Continuing on the loop you come to the new cable bridge. It's fun to cross, swings and stays a bit. When you cross the cable bridge it connects you to a longer trail (map sign is right there) but I didn't have time for a different trail today. Next time for sure. I went back over the cable bridge and continued on the gorge loop trail. You pretty quickly start the ascent back to the parking lot and it is NO JOKE! Very steep incline and climb. Some helpful steps have been installed and one portion you have to climb a ladder! Very cool and great exercise. There are 2 nice restrooms, and overlook viewing areas. Also a nice area w picnic tables and a grill. I can't wait to go back and do more exploring.

Spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon here with my family. We completed the Gorge Overlook Trail. Just to add, in my opinion, DO NOT attempt this trail if you have small kids or knee trouble. The decline/incline is significant. Otherwise, it’s absolutely gorgeous here.

I recently visited a state park, and it was a nature lover's paradise. The hiking trails were a highlight, offering a variety of terrains to explore. Along the way, I encountered a picturesque river stream that added to the charm of the park.
The scenic views were breathtaking, with lush greenery, towering trees, and glimpses of wildlife. It was a photographer's dream, and I couldn't resist capturing the beauty around me.
What made this park even more enjoyable was the soothing sound of the river stream as I hiked. It provided a serene backdrop to my outdoor adventure.
In conclusion, this state park is a hiker's haven, complete with a tranquil river stream and stunning scenic views. If you're seeking a nature escape, I highly recommend a visit. It's a perfect blend of natural beauty and outdoor exploration.

We stayed at the primitive campground by the river. We kayaked and fished. Hiking was excellent. Check in was a little difficult. With no cell phone service or Internet we had to register at the State Park office. Overnight stay was $25. Next time I'll bring my Ohio buckeye card and save 50%. Very scenic and quiet at night. Remember flash lights, it's very dark at night.
Kingwood Center Gardens in Mansfield, Ohio is a stunning 47-acre former estate transformed into magnificent gardens in 1953. It offers a visual feast with its captivating beauty and unique collection of plants, botanicals, and flowers. Visitors can enjoy the gorgeous floral displays in any season, from spring blooms to fall foliage. The property also features popular attractions such as historic tours and other nearby points of interest like the Richland Carrousel Park and Snow Trails.

Such a beautiful place! The incredibly sweet and friendly staff at Kingwood truly make the whole experience wonderful. The well cared for gardens were absolutely beautiful. The perennial garden in particular blew me away, it was so incredibly vibrant and choke-full of blooms!! Everything about this place is handled with class and care. I particularly enjoyed learning about the history of the property. Tours of the manor are self guided. The on site cafe has some wonderful food options: healthy, seasonal, organic and local items available. I would stop here for just lunch alone if I lived nearby. The garden shop had an excellent variety of quality plants and garden goods at fair prices. Our visit at Kingwood far exceeded expectations. I look forward to visiting again and possibly taking some classes down the road (botanical cocktail classes, yes please!)

I visited the center today with my family for the first time. I was impressed with the beautiful, well-maintained variety of gardens. Walking trails in the woods are easy and pretty. The buildings and statues were historic and lovely. The peacock roaming the grounds was a bonus. Lots of butterflies and birds. Currently, they have a special Lego display event that is wonderful to see—plenty of parking. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price is very reasonable. We spent about 2 & ½ hours there but could have spent more time in the mansion (main house). The website is very detailed.

We drove down from Cleveland on a spur-of-the-moment and we had a very nice time. Really enjoyed the Kingwood House and all of the surrounding gardens. Unlike Holden Arboretum, which can get crowded on Holiday weekends, there were plenty of peaceful and secluded spots to picnic, smoke medicinal herbs and have a beer or just break out a hammock and enjoy a book and a snooze! I&I would highly recommend for a day trip as the $8 admission is well worth the drive! The speeding ticket I&I got on the way back was annoying but, I was doing 84 in a 65 so...We will be visiting again!

Longwood Center Garden is a wonderful place for all ages and mobility.
There is a great children's area, along with a story book trail, which is paved.
There are plenty of shaded areas.
Those in a wheelchair have plenty of access to areas. (I'm trying to remember if there was any area that was stairs only. I believe one way might be by stairs, but another would be accessible through the grass.)
Every area was clean - gardens, greenhouse, cafe, restrooms and gift shop.
We strolled for about 3 1/2 hours and will be returning to see a few things we missed.
Entry for adults was $8, which is more than reasonable.
Lego display was fantastic, but be sure to check the website as I believe it is leaving this month sometime.
Highly, highly recommend!

The trails and walk ways around the estate are well tended to. There is an amazing Storybook trail. The ponds were lovely. The greenhouse was so amazing with all the different plants. And the actual house/museum was really neat to walk through. Overall, a stunning place to visit. The Lego sculptures were super neat and fun to see as well. Me and my husband went for the total eclipse and let me tell you it was such a delight. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, even though the event had them working hard. The food was spectacular. The gardens/mansion itself were stunning, even in the sparse blooms of Spring there was enough biodiversity to really let the meadows be filled with swaths of yellow and purple flowers. The peacock is a plus, too.

This is a great trail to walk or ride your bike. I travel all the way from Columbus because this is my favorite trail to ride my bike 25-40 miles. There is a tree canopy for most of the trail so you don’t have to worry much about getting too hot or getting too much sun. The initial ride is along the River on one side and a big wooded hill on the other. The trail doesn’t have many big hills to ride over, it’s pretty level.

I can only speak to about 10 miles of the trail but it is seriously one of the best I’ve been on for biking and walking.
There’s a lot of wildlife too. During my quick ride today I saw a deer and two groundhogs. A lot of the trail is surrounded by trees which provides nice shade / scenery. I love that there are benches throughout and I love the bridges!
I have tried to rollerblade here before and while it was okay it can be tricky due to the sticks and debris from the trees etc.

Very interesting. You should check out if you have a few. Takes a little bit to walk through the whole park but very cool scenery and very rich in the history. They host events here as well would definitely make a great spot for photos, an event, or industrial wedding theme. Also you can go to the top of the tower and get a great Ariel view but they do shut down the entrance to it around 8 or 9. It shuts down at dusk and opens at dawn I believe.

I was really pleased to find this place, it definitely is interesting for what it is. It was massive compared to some parks I have been to. And it was walker friendly for most of it. Some people had their dogs unchained which was a little unnerving bcz they did not have control of their pups. It's also interesting to look at & not, all the same time. Some of it was a cool art display but when you look at it as just twisted metal that was donated from somewhere else or whatever you just kind of stared at it. The ruins are probably the best part. To see what things lasted for how long. I don't know if I would stop by again, but again pleased I found it, and pleased it was such a nice day that I was there. Did not get to explore the whole place but still it was a thing to do.

Wow! This park is amazing! Loved the ruins and the ability to walk up the giant tower. If you go you have to do that! There is parking in several areas. We did every trail and got 3.1 miles of walking. Every part of the park was beautiful and well maintained. There are restroom facilities in two location. There is a small museum but it wasn’t open when we went. There are trash containers everywhere and plenty of benches, picnic tables and swings around the lake and other areas. The trails are paved so it is completely accessible.

What a stunning and unusual park!!! I absolutely LOVE repurposed old buildings but have never seen a park dedicated to that like this! It's not like most your parks, with amazing views due to the steepe style land design, and artifacts from the past, with informational plaques around, this is a must see park.
For the geocashers, this is a great spot! Multiple caches on location. If you are near this park, please take the time to go see it!
Sophisticated hotel with a restaurant & a spa, plus conference space & an indoor pool.
We just love it here, like a mini vacation in Newark. We needed to get out of the house and enjoy New Year’s Eve with a kid-friendly atmosphere. We brought our own snacks, and the kids had a blast in the pool! Can’t wait for the restaurant/bar house to open more regularly, and the spa to open soon! Such a lovely place with king beds in every room. At LEAST double the room space as any other hotel, with the added bonus of a sectional/sleeper for more room and relaxing.

This hotel saved my wedding.
Three days before my wedding, the original hotel where my wedding party & family was going to stay had a fire and would no longer be able to host anyone. The Cherry Valley Hotel was unbelievably accommodating — They were sympathetic to our situation and made it so easy to transfer everything over, even giving us discounted rates along the way. The staff checked in on us regularly, going way beyond the original hotel's accommodations and truly making our stay special.
Beyond the incredible staff and overall hospitality, this hotel is incredible and exceeded all of my expectations. It's absolutely gorgeous! The water and fall lighting is absolutely gorgeous.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you, Cherry Valley Hotel. You're the absolute best!

The only bad thing that I can say is the shower will get water throughout the whole bathroom so just throw a towel down by the edge of the shower and it'll keep the water from going everywhere.

We stayed for 2 nights during a conference. The front lobby is beautiful. Check-in staff very friendly. Room super clean with huge bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Igloo dinner was delicious. Waiter was great (bald guy)! Good drinks at the bar. Great overall experience!!!

The hotel is very pretty. Our room was spacious, our bed was comfy. I wish it had a microwave in the room though. There seemed to be a staffing issues. The bars and restaurants were not up to full service. Our breakfast was the best meal there and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely give this place another try.

We had the most relaxing time here. We checked in at 3pm on Saturday with 6:30 dinner reservations, I took 2 naps in between; the bed was so comfortable! Dinner was fantastic! Chef Craig is creative and brings all the flavor to you in his dishes. In the morning we had the breakfast buffet, checked out and relaxed on the patio before bidding farewell to this amazing and comfortable independent hotel. Well done, Cherry Valley Hotel!

Room was clean. Smelled a little like stale cigarettes but most hotels do.
Hotel staff was great. Bartender was good. Check in team great. Dave that assisted in our meeting room and welcome dinner was top shelf. Loved him.
Lunch meals were simple and perfect. Sandwiches and salads one day salad and burgers and hotdogs the other day. Just fine.
Ordered a pizza one night. 2/4 not great but we ate it.
I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are very nice. They are clean and everything was in working order. You are given a paper with "rules" when you check in. There's nothing crazy, but it says to not use their washcloths to wash makeup off your face, and makeup wipes are provided. However, makeup wipes were not provided. A minor inconvenience, sure. Made washing off the makeup a little more difficult. Also, there is no clock in the room.
The banquet room for our party was beautiful. The food was delicious. It is a great place for events.

The grounds are very pretty and the location is great. The hotel was quiet.
We booked here to enjoy the pool and hot tub and unfortunately the hot tub was down. We were disappointed but appliances break and sometimes that can’t be helped. However I began reading reviews that have said the hot tub has been down for at least several months. It’s very deceiving to advertise amenities that you know aren’t in working condition for long periods of time. It wouldn’t be hard to note this on your website. We could have stayed elsewhere had we known. The pool was freezing and the area around it was filthy. There was food covered in ants, bandaids, trash, etc. We tried to swim the morning of checkout around 9:30 (the hours online say they open at 9) but the doors were locked.
We needed the pullout sofa but it wasn’t usable. The springs were painfully protruding and the bed was dirty with hair and dead spiders all over the sheet.
The window curtain in the room was dirty and had staples hanging out of it, which scraped my ankle when I walked by.
There was trash left behind the toilet.
The room was so hot. We opened the patio door to cool it down since it was chilly out, but even with the air running we couldn’t get it below 72.
We only interacted with a few staff members, but those few could use some training. They seem inexperienced and not very friendly.

The outside definitely needs some work but the rooms are recently remodeled and very clean.
This is a 2 story building and very very long. It's a haul from 1 side to the other. The court yard is beautiful, but again, needs some landscaping.
The pool is small, but clean. The breakfast buffet was very good. I would stay here again.

Odd location to find 5 star quality, service, and amenities but Cherry Valley delivers. From the moment you check in the staff is gracious, accommodating, and welcoming. The hotel is nicely appointed with lovely rooms that are clean modern and well kept. The mattress in the room was amazing, between the bar and the bed everyone should be resting well! The hotels restaurants, bars, pool, and spa space all deliver exceptional service and quality. I'm from Central Ohio and I can't wait to come back!

I have been going to Cherry Valley since I was child for staycations and family events! The hotel has grown and changed with times. Keeping up a high standard! The restaurant was great especially on NYE! The rooms are spacious with nice amenities! The hotel was recently renovated and the staff take pride in their hospitality! I also got engaged there 2 years ago and love coming back to celebrate our engagement anniversary ❤️

Service was good by all of the staff while there, other than one person. Our key card did not work on door C & the maid staff said thevteader was broken. We saw a male employee who looked like a maintenance person while leaving exit C & asked if the venue could fix it & he was kind of nasty when he said the C rear entrance was for employees only. Based on his tone & demeanor I felt like apologizing for asking him. Not a friendly person like everyone else.
Also, under post service, I left my phone charger in room 229 & called 2 days in a row & was told to leave a message on the lost & found line. I told the front desk I would pay for the shipping. I know I left it there. I left 2 voicemail message & they never called back. On day 3.... I called & the person at the front desk said she would orally pass the information on to the cleaning manager. I asked if they would call me back even if they did not find it. No call ever came so I gave up. Other than that, very nice place.

We were VERY disappointed to arrive and get checked in, then go to the pool area, just to find that the hot tub was inoperable and looked horrific! We had even asked before even booking the room, SPECIFICALLY if the pool and hot tub were up and running, and were told YES!!!
If you’re a non-smoker, you’re gonna smell the old smoky residuals as soon as you enter the room hallways…. The rooms themselves are the same. They clearly put some effort into trying to COVER the old residues and smells, but total remediation is really the only way to truly get rid of that kinda thing!
We came here specifically because we were looking forward to the hot tub experience after an 8hr drive….never again for this place. Don’t waste your time or money. Don’t lie to your potential customers. The damage you do on the backend will be far worse!
In contrast to that, I will add that the dining experience was MUCH better and Dylan was an awesome server! Great music and ambiance in the restaurant.

The good: I booked the Cherry Valley Hotel specifically for the Christmas ambiance and it did not disappoint. When you walk through the front doors it was like walking into a Hallmark movie. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. Everyone was so nice and warm. The room was spacious with a nice sized bathroom. Beds were comfy as well. We had an issue with our first room and the did not hesitate to move us to another rooms. We had Christmas Eve dinner in the restaurant and the food was incredible. Our server Jada was amazing, knowledgeable and accommodating.
I have just a couple minor complaints. I wish they offered complimentary breakfast. I of course knew they did not when i booked but this normally is something we prefer. My other small issue is there were not enough plugs in the room. In other hotels the lights have at least USB plugs in them.

I drove 8 hours to Ohio from NJ to pick up a puppy and had no energy to make the drive back by the time I made it there. I stayed at Cherry Valley for the night and had an awesome experience. The entrance and exterior is so welcoming and the front desk staff was so nice/helpful.
The dog-friendly room was great because it had easy patio access to a grassy area. I was actually super impressed with the room as a whole and I LOVED the huge bathtub. I work at a popular casino/hotel in Atlantic City and this room was far cleaner and more modern in style than what I see on a daily basis. I honestly walked in and said wow out loud.
Thank you for making my solo journey with a dog less stressful! So glad I found this hotel!
Beautiful scenery, calm atmosphere fresh air, fine wine- Everything I needed
The staff was very friendly and ready to educate me on the different wines
Try the flight for tasting you won't regret
Town Square is a winner, legacy wasn't bad either
They also had a mango slushy which I should have stayed away from since I'm not a fruity wine fan lol but it was refreshing on that hot day
They also sell nice articles you can buy as souvenirs or gifts for others

Charming venue, good wine, friendly staff and overall an outstanding place to make an afternoon or evening. The view from the patio and the quietness and calm are serene. They truly grow their own grapes and make a few types of their own wine which are actually very very good (unlike other Ohio wines I’ve had these are fantastic). They also serve select craft beers, wine slushies, and pizzas.

We were looking for a good place for wine tasting and luckily they were open on Tuesday. Most others were not open till later in the week. We were welcomed when we entered. The building is clean and comfortable and new looking. The staff is helpful to pick wines. We each got a 4 flight of wine to taste. We shared a nice meat and cheese board. The food was fresh and delicious. The wines we chose we more on the sweet side and were also very good. I highly recommend trying this vineyard. Prices are fair. The environment is comfortable. The restrooms are clean. I will come back.

We loved our visit to this winery! It was a great pit-stop on our way to Kentucky! I love that they had wine, beer and bourbon. The guys in the group opted for those options while we ladies had the wine. I personally thought the drier reds were delicious and bought a few to take home.

I have been to many wineries around OHIO and can very confidently say that Rockside Winery is my favorite. They have an amazing selection of wines for any taste. I particularly find the fruit wines to be absolutely delectable and I am always happy with every glass I try. Now if the wine was not enough to get you in the door, the staff there is as warm and inviting as you will find. Ryan and Taylor are especially delightful and will make you want to come back again and again. Ryan has a great breath of knowledge when it comes to wine and a great and caring disposition. Taylor is a ray of sunshine every time, she has kind and wonderful attitude that will make feel welcome and brighten any day. From the beautiful grounds to some of the absolute best staff anywhere, Rockside Winery is a must.

Enjoyed a nice 4 miler by starting at the Mink Run trail by the marina, and the doing the Briar Run trail and the Lakeview Loop getting hooked back up to the Mink Run trail back to our car. It was a nice walk, not major elevation but not flat either, some mud obstacles to pass around and some signs seemed to be missing but overall a very nice way to spend 2 hours. There are many activities at this park, fishing, kayaking, camping, boating. Well maintained and very clean (free of trash etc).

A great park. The camping spots aren't too close together (at least the section we are in) and it is all well kept. The showers / restrooms look relatively new so that was nice also. Everyone we have met that works here is super nice.

Camping the weekend was lots of fun. Lots of outdoor activities and some very good camping spots. But beware there are some bad ones as well, the spot next to ours was flooded and they still rented to someone. We saw several so beware if its rained over the past few days. I'm sure we will be back after this weekend the whole family had fun.

We absolutely love camping here. The lots are spacious & you're not piled right on top of your neighbors like some other campgrounds. The park & facilities are always super clean & there are always new seasonal flowers growing along the sides of the roads as you drive around. They're continually adding new quality of life improvements like a putt putt zone, dog park, corn hole decks, or new showers & restrooms. Highly recommend.

Very nice place to visit and explore. The loading docks were well maintained and made unloading easy. Very clean environment and the water was amazing. Next time plan on bringing my skies and fishing gear. Everyone I ran into was very polite and a pleasure to be around.

The entrance staff was supper helpful and friendly! I mean I have not had that awesome of service in a long time! The bathrooms were flush toilets and clean and bright. My spouse even took a shower. It was a safe environment. Drivers were cautious of the kids running around. Most of the pull in spots were taken on this rainy fall weekend. We used tents, but most people had plug in pull behind trailers... Which was great for tent campers because no generators kicking on and off all night long. The camp sights were well mowed and free of debris and previous campers ash fires! You could hear the trains and 23 in the distance.

I think I’m spoiled as the sites at parks I usually go to are not as exposed as many of the sites here. Also there is no water at the sites. That all said I was blown away by the hospitality by the hosts. From an ice cream social to a meet and greet with a great horned owl, I have never seen remotely this level of hospitality at a state park. Add good playgrounds and a putt putt course and I’d definitely be back.

Located just 5 miles North of the City of Delaware is the Delaware State Park. It is a fairly large park on the West Shore of the beautiful Delaware Lake. The park is pet friendly and has a good size sand beach with a plenty of parking , well kept campgrounds, playgrounds, picnic facilities and numerous hiking trails. The disc golf course winds through the woods.

The camping experience here is wonderful! You're not stacked on top of each other and it's very clean and quiet. My only real gripe is the terrible dog "beach" which is really just a bunch of weeds and big rocks. Not really safe for all dogs to enjoy. Otherwise, we definitely plan to visit again because it's very dog friendly!

Very nice campground with lots of activities and beautiful scenery. Loved the way each campsite had a touch of privacy or seclusion from the next one... The naturalist program was a hit with my girls.. Just a wonderful 4 days spent there!

This review is for the Beach. Although I’ve heard great things for the State Park Itself regarding the campgrounds, I haven’t myself been but I can say it looks nice. What I can talk about is the beach, which me and my young daughter enjoyed on a hot summer day recently. My only gripe is the actual beach, the sand, it seemed more like hard dirt. The beach was also small, but google does say 800 feet. The booeys seemed not too far out, but as for in the water the water was pretty shallow, not too dirty and we enjoyed our stay. Initially it seemed to have a lot of visitors but when actually swimming that wasn’t the case at all. We were for the most part alone. If your looking for a nice beach near the Columbus area that isn’t Alum Creek Beach this is your ticket. My daughter wants to go back tomorrow. It’s free, don’t need a campsite. Check it out, you’ll be glad you did.

About the campgrounds:
My family stayed here (at the campgrounds) for two nights and three days and we loved them. The layout of the sites are spacious and convenient; there are bathrooms/showers, a playground and dumpsters located close by to each set of campsites. The facilities are clean and pretty nice to use. I've included pictures of the campsite bathrooms.
They even have balls that are free to use on the playground areas for free via the "honor system." The playground we stayed by (sites ~60-100) had swings, a small basketball court, a climbing area, swings, a place to play horseshoes and a place to play Cornhole.
I also like that you could reach the hiking trails directly from the campsites. The trails are nice for walking or biking. A lot of nice scenic points and a place enjoy nature away from everything else.
About the park/beach:
The beach is only an 8 minute drive from the campgrounds. It has a really nice playground and a dog park. The bathrooms were just okay-- the stall doors in the womens restroom did not lock. They have a place where you can rinse off after being in the water. Lots of parking.
Easton Town Center is a vibrant hub for shopping, dining, and entertainment in Columbus. Visitors can indulge in retail therapy at Jungle Jim's International Market and explore the local culture at German Village. Nearby attractions include the Grange Insurance Audubon Center and the lively Short North Arts District. For those looking to venture further, Zipline adventures in Rockbridge and historical sites like Carillon Historical Park in Dayton offer exciting experiences.

I'll never travel to Columbus without this trip planner again
The Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens offers a diverse array of exhibits, gardens, and social events inside or outdoors. The 88-acre botanical landmark has an impressive plant collection, seasonal art displays, and nature-based exhibitions. It is located east of downtown Columbus.
Awesome experience. Butterflies were active and awesome to look at and every room I went into felt refreshing! There were also massive and amazing glass pieces that were shown all throughout the conservatory that was so fun to look at. Great place to stop by and look at beautiful plants and feel the positive energy. The facility was very clean and easy to walk through. Staff was incredibly kind as well :). I went on Thursday at 1pm and it wasn't too busy but I'm sure it's a different story on the weekends. Parking was also free so that's a plus!

Great for all ages! The fall/ pumpkin display is fabulous! The color throughout the gardens is amazing. The fall colors are brilliant and the pumpkin's add the perfect touch as they are tucked into displays everywhere! Truly a beautiful walk in the middle of the day. There is handicap parking and the gardens are handicap accessible.

This is truly a Columbus gem! There is so much packed into this building, but by following the free, numbered map they provide at check-in, you should be able to see everything and experience each room or “climate” within two hours. They have such a great diversity of plants and flowers! This is a kid-friendly place, just be respectful of those who are there without kids looking to have a quieter experience. There is a small section along the self-guided tour where parents can stop and rest while kids play around with the kid-friendly, touchable exhibit. There are also plenty of places to sit throughout the entire building. The staff is very friendly and kind, especially in the gift shop. This place is so beautiful that I wish I could’ve been married here! My husband and I visited on the weekday (on a Wednesday specifically) so it was quieter and we didn’t have a wait. I do recommend buying your tickets online in advance. And if you have a Dawes Arboretum membership, you might get a small discount on tickets! That’s not guaranteed, so be sure to check before buying.

This is the place to go if you want to walk around in the winter but stay warm while feeling like you are getting out. The blend of inside with outdoor features is amazing. You can always check out their website for updates, projects and events going on in there. I'd recommend buying an annual membership. It pays for itself in a few visits. I'd recommend you go at a minimum once a season. There's something big each season plus lots of events throughout the year. Summer, you have the whole train feature going on outside which is huge by the way. Winter, they have the Christmas lights everywhere. Night time they light up the glass features year round but they change them out through the seasons. Daytime, you have the children's park summer has the outdoor water areas I'm the kids playground. Inside there is the butterfly exhibit, There are several temperate zones, glass displays, tons of amazing photo opportunities everywhere. Go to the website and just scroll.

We had some time to burn before an event so we decided to check out this place. I did not expect to stay there for an hour and a half! There were so many gorgeous plants/trees. My favorite things were the bonsai trees and the railway outside with various carved wooden houses. Each area had a theme like animal, fairy tale, European, and wild west and the craftsmanship was phenomenal. The glass work throughout was a nice added touch as well.

Lovely place for an afternoon walk and a chance to enjoy nature. The topiary section is really well done and although the bonsai section is a bit small, the trees are very well maintained. The miniature train exhibit that is currently hosted at the gardens is really worth ehile seeing. Very well done.

My wife and I had a good time here! Admission is a little pricey and could be less for what we saw. However, it was fun seeing all of the plants/flowers and they were all taken care of extremely well.

This place is beautiful. We had to plan our first visit well because the first time we tried to go here, it was on the first Sunday of the month when it's free for county residents. We highly recommend not going then because you won't find a parking spot and it's stupid crowded. Instead, we went the day before and we nearly had the place to ourselves. The building has lots of history and we found out the fiddle leaf fig they have here is at least 100 years old and the largest fiddle leaf fig indoors in the United States. I would like to go back for other events and even though we don't live in Columbus, I would consider getting a pass here. They have a lot for little kids and our daughter (2) loved it.

Gorgeous!!!!! If you're a Columbus resident, you can get free tickets through the library! Otherwise, I think the entrance fee is well worth it. At this time of year the perennials are mostly dead, but the plants inside are thriving. Beautiful bonsai exhibit and really fun train exhibit when we went. Strongly recommend.

My husband and I visited the conservatory as our anniversary date. It was a really great experience and everything is absolutely beautiful. It's worth the 3 hour drive. Can't wait to take my daughter and granddaughter when the weather warms up. There's so much to see outside that we missed because it's February.

A gorgeous preservation of natures beauty as well as a setting full of unique and breathtaking glass sculptures. I made a visit with a friend of mine and neither of us knew what to expect, but the staff was kind and helpful, and the map made it easy to guide ourselves around the different sections of garden/exhibit.
This is a great spot to bring kids, as they have a ton of outdoor space and activities for families. The exhibits were clean and impressive, though a bit crowded.
The butterfly event blew me away. Being in a room surrounded by so many gorgeous butterflies was magical.
They have clean restrooms, a nursing room, an eatery, a gift shop, and i believe they even offer glassblowing courses on certain days.
I will be back again for sure! I was very impressed by my visit.

This place was so cute, and so pretty at night with all the Christmas lights lit up. My friend and I even enjoyed the space designated for kids (I need that mushroom shaped drum), and we got to see the inside and outside for a couple of hours before it closed. I loved all of it, and we got to get some small things from the gift shop too!! We want to go back when it snows and sometime in the spring. Definitely worth the money and trip time!!

This conservatory is truly amazing. Whether you are coming to see the flowers, to entertain your children in the kid area, or just want to see the butterflies, this place has much to offer for everybody. The Halloween event is especially nice. I recommend becoming a member. I can promise you that you won’t regret buying a membership. In summary, the conservatory is an amazing place, with something for everyone.

Very nice conservatory. Lots of plants and flowers. There is a gift shop and dining area. The butterfly area is really nice and we loved seeing all the different butterflies. The outside area is one of my kids favorites with a wonderful play space (especially when the weather is warmer and the kids can play in the water-bring a change of clothes). I recommend going in spring or summer if you want to be outdoors and see a lot of the flowers in bloom. Elevators are available to navigate between floors for those that may need them.

What an excellent place to appreciate flowers, plants, bonsai, topiary displays, Chihuly glass art, and a children's garden. The conservatory was set up and organized very well. My group and I thoroughly enjoyed walking through and seeing all the beautiful displays. They have a gift shop. There was a live band playing while we were there, which was a nice touch. The parking was free, but the admission fee was a little steep for seniors. They had clean, accessible bathrooms. They also had wheelchairs for those who couldn't do the walking. I am glad I visited this conservatory, and I recommend you visit here as well. Definitely deserves the 5 star rating I give it!!

Love it every time! My kids love it, too. The children's gardens are awesome. We also love all the indoor spaces and the outdoor trains. We come several times per year. And it's especially cool during Pumpkins Aglow in the Fall and Conservatory Aglow at Christmas time.

We went here for pumpkins aglow. It was a family friendly Halloween event. (Although the gentleman directing parking had some colorful language to describe a free for all parking situation...it was very busy for a week night apparently) The map provided was of the Conservatory; not of the event, and it was really too dark to read outside anyways. The pumpkins were all displayed really well and themed. There were some unused spaces that might have been good for treat stations. We went on a week night and found some of the entertainment only available on the weekend. I do wish that had been reflected in the price we paid for tickets. The food truck area did not have enough seating on a weeknight, the bar also ran out of coctail mix by 7:15pm. We had fun, and will likely return but would like to spend the day.

What a great place! This is the largest collection of Chihuly sculptures outside of his own museum in Seattle. Such a delight to see his art in concert with the gorgeous plants and flowers 🌺 (I attached a map of his art pieces around the gardens). Most of the best parts are inside so even if the weather is not great, still an awesome visit! Also a full children’s play area on the lower level. Plus a cafe and nice gift shop - you’ll enjoy! 🌈

Such a beautiful building at any time of year but the lights at Christmas are my favorite! Beautifully done and spaced out for everyone to enjoy! The kids loved it and so did the adults if we’re being honest! A must see with the family if you’re looking for an adventure during the holiday season!

Stunning! We came for Conservatory Aglow with our kids (9 and 12). The lights were very impressive, and we loved the music throughout. We spent about an hour outside, grabbed some hot cocoa, and then toured the botanical gardens. There was so much to see! Well worth the money - will definitely return.

A very beautiful building with white design. The orchid garden was very lovely. My favorite was the butterfly garden. The staff told me there were more than 2000 butterflies here, but I think they have less…. In general the experience was nice. I spent about 1 hour here.

I absolutely loved my visit to the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Columbus! This place is a true gem and deserves every bit of its five-star rating. Not only are the gardens absolutely stunning, but they also offer a variety of activities that are perfect for families.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of participating in some Japanese cultural activities, which were both educational and entertaining. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Exploring the gardens was a true delight. The variety of plants and flowers on display was breathtaking, and I found myself constantly amazed by the beauty of nature.
Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Whether you're a nature lover, a family looking for a fun day out, or someone simply looking for a peaceful escape, this place has something for everyone. Can't wait to visit again!

Gorgeous botanical garden. Butterfly garden had a lot of activity and no wait to enter. Butterflies are more active on sunny days! Great spot to take photos and don’t miss out on the outdoor areas. The gift shop is reasonably priced and a good size.

This place is great for plant lovers and families. They separate the plants based on their climates, which you can feel as you walk through and take in all of the foliage. Between all of the rooms, the hallways are lined with various plants, different every season. In some places it is not clear what direction the walkways go and you might walk through the same area twice. Every season there are also different exhibits, so every visit here may not be the same. They also have a seasonal butterfly blooming exhibit where you can walk through a mist of butterflies. If you want small plants or memorabilia of your own, there is a gift shop near the entrance as well as a cafe. This is a great place to visit during a weekend.

I recently visited the Columbus Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, and it was a delightful experience, despite some areas being closed. The beauty of the place is undeniable, with bee hives buzzing for pollination amidst the few blooms of the season. What added to the charm was the colorful array of visitors, wearing vibrant Indian and African attire, which, humorously, added more color to the scenery than the flowers themselves. Capturing 90 images around the park, I found it to be a peaceful retreat, rich in diversity and life. A truly fun and picturesque day out!

Butterfly exhibit was incredible, they’re almost flying right on top of you! Huge bright butterflies everywhere. Kids loved that part, but make sure you dress down as it’s very hot and humid in there.

Beautiful place, gorgeous tickets in advance just in case. Our time was for 1pm, but we arrived pretty early, and it wasn't a problem at all!
Great place for a couples outing or to take the kids as they have a dedicated area.

Beautiful, even on a rainy day! Was in town visiting family and came here to visit with them. Of course it was a rainy mess that day so I did not get to enjoy all that the Conservatory and Gardens had to offer. However, what I did see what fantastic.
Ticket prices for an adult was something like $23 or $26 which is a little steep for a rainy day because you can't enjoy everything. However, the butterflies were amazing, staff was friendly, and what I did see of the grounds were so beautiful. Will definitely be returning on my next visit to Ohio (with hopefully better weather).
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is a popular family destination with a hands-on tide pool, reptile lab, kangaroo walkabout, and more. It's home to many animals including an impressive menagerie of primates and animals from all over the world. There's also a golf course, water park, amusement park, and more.
First time at the Zoo in the winter and it was Great! Hardly anyone was there so it was like we got the animals all to ourselves. Africa area is closed for winter so we couldn’t see gorillas, lions, or giraffes but plenty of other happy and active animals were around and able to be seen. Tickets are half price for the winter too so take advantage of that deal!

Great zoo for the whole family. Lots of parking. Clean and well staffed. I saw EMS and security team members roaming the zoo.
Many attractions have wheelchair access. Clean and kid’s friendly. Lots of customers but didn’t get overwhelming for me because the place was so large, everyone was well scattered.
Lots of restrooms, small gift shops, drink and snack stands, and restaurants throughout the zoo. Lots to do. Lots to look at. Lots to buy.
Affordable prices for foods, drinks, snacks and admission. Parking is $10 in addition to admission cost. Water park is also additional.
Place is huge. Plan to stay a whole day or maybe even two days or else you’ll be rushing to get through the entire place.

Incredible zoo and water park! My family and I paid for two of the behind the scenes events (Jack Hanna and the Safari Ride) and these were so amazing we want to go back. We also fed the sting rays which was so fun. Very affordable considering everything we did that day. My only suggestion is to get there early or spend two days there in order to see everything. One of the best zoos I have ever been to. 🦓🦒🦚🦡🦛

Amazing Amazing experience. Got the chance to bathe an Elephant and learn about them. Our Zoo Educator Erin was amazing. Chris, the Elephant keeper, was also amazing. They were both very knowledgeable and awesome to be around. All the staff was amazing. The animals are well kept and taken care of. Lots of animals to see, great experience gaining knowledge from all the Zoo keepers. Well worth the travel and money. Wild Burger has a very tasty burger, customer service was on point.

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium exceeded our very high expectations. Every exhibit was well themed, spacious, and full of activities for the animals. The pathways were well-marked and well-laod out. Water cups were available at all drink and food stands with fountain drink sales. The animals were allowed to choose whether to be in their outside or inside habitats.
There were many species we had not seen in person before including sand cats, several reptiles, and polar bears. The reptile house was expansive and impressive. Personally, I have never seen a feline that I didn't love and the number of big (and small) cats at the zoo did not disappoint.
I have only great things to say about this zoo. A couple of tips we discovered; definitely buy tickets and parking online, this makes entering so much faster; purchase a refillable drink mug and enjoy complimentary refills the day of purchase; ride the Dinosaur Boat Ride (additional $3 charge, worth it); and if possible, ride the zoo shuttle from the nearby Park-and-Ride for $3 tickets.
Finally, the zoo has been collecting cards for Jack Hanna and his family. Jack Hanna spent his life educating people on animals via his TV appearances, shows, and the zoo itself. He is stricken with advanced Alzheimer's disease and no longer recognizes the zoo that he helped to shape. If anyone is so inclined, there is a small mailbox in the guest relations building, inside the zoo, next to the turnstiles where you can leave a card or note for him and his family.

My visit to the Columbus Zoo was truly incredible. The diversity of animals and their well-maintained habitats left me in awe. From playful penguins to majestic big cats, it's a wildlife enthusiast's dream. The staff's knowledge and passion shone through in their interactions, making it an enriching experience for all ages. It was a Halloween holiday, so seeing children in different costume was a plus. A must-visit for anyone in the area and nearby state.

Love the columbus zoo! The food was great, people were friendly, and the weather was mild so ALL the animals were out and active. North America is under construction so not too much to see there, but if you walk past all of that still has all of Africa and the North America bears to see. ❤️❤️

The Manatee and Stingray habitats are awesome…
Very large parking lot. I was in awe of the size of the parking lot. The zoo employees were very friendly and polite. The zoo itself was cool but if I’m honest, I thought it would be a lot better. Very muddy, lots of construction I couldn’t find anywhere for my son to get a snack, a lot of things were closed or broken. This was on a Thursday, 70 degree day, in March. Maybe bad timing to visit but I wasn’t impressed. I will visit again in the summer to compare experiences but I am weary of what the large parking lot means for crowds in the summertime.

We went for a school field trip for my first grader. It was a gloomy day but the animals were still out and about. Saw lots of staff cleaning up inside and outside exhibits. The way this zoo is set up makes it super easy to get around. All of the staff I encountered were super friendly and very helpful. Train ride was only $2.00 a person! Really enjoyed our day here.

By far my favorite zoo in Ohio. This is the first time we've gone this late in the year and it's beautiful with the leaves changing. Since it was cooler more of the animals were active which we loved!! The new underwater tunnel for the seals is awesome & one of our favorite things there this year. Wasn't crowded at all. The Zoo and bathrooms are very clean & the staff is super friendly, great with kids! They've added Adventure Cove since I visited last & it looked like it could be fun, but you can only ride a few rides with a Zoo admission ticket. We LOVE Sting Ray bay. The stingrays get super playful when you're feeding them!!

This was my first visit to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and I am sure it won't be the last. Even though the temperature was hot the park has several places to go inside for quick cool downs. The park is easy to navigate. The exhibits were informative and interactive. The animals were active or visible too. My son (10) had a blast in the stingray pool with several opportunities to see and touch them up close. Overall a great day and I look forward to returning.

We went here for the lights and they were absolutely gorgeous. Pictures didn't do them justice. Such an awesome zoo and pretty clean for the most part. I would suggest getting there early if you also plan on seeing the animals as most exhibit areas closed at 5 pm which we did not know and missed a ton of animals. It was also very crowded if you don't enjoy being shoulder to shoulder with people, the line to get in as we were leaving was all the way to the parking lot.

Our first time to the Columbus Zoo. It wasn't over crowded and we could walk around easily. If you're a Hot Chocolate fan I would highly recommend getting the souvenir cups that you can get free refills as you go throughout the night. Wait times at the food carts are not horrible either! And very nice staff members.

We went on a Saturday and it was somewhat crowded being Earth Day Weekend.
The exhibits weren’t overly crowded. Had to wait at the more popular ones where animals were active (at most-2 minutes)
ALOT of Construction on exhibits making them un-viewable.
My only pet peeve is having only ONE first aide station at the very front of park.
Food was super pricey. One med fountain drink and two- 2 piece chicken tender with fries was almost $35 😳
You can get free cup of ice water anywhere, which is nice.
Parking was pretty easy. Tram was not operating at the time.
If not requiring any discount (ie military) I would get tickets online. I needed military discount along with Franklin county discount for daughter so we were able to get tickets for $22 each. So that was awesome. However, had to wait in line to purchase tickets. Only waited under 10 minutes. Ticket girl was very friendly.
ADVICE:
1. Get tickets online if possible
2. Take picture of where you are parked
3. Download Columbus Zoo App
4. Make a plan to tour park so you aren’t going back and forth. (Only going wrong way once, my daughter and I still walked a 6.14 miles—this started at car and finished at car) so about 5 miles.
5. Bring own food
6. Bring empty water bottle to fill once in park. You may be able to bring full bottle (not sure) bottled water is $3-4

We went for the holiday lights and it was worth the 2 and a half hour drive for us. We also arrive close to opening time before it got flooded with people at sun set so that was a smart move.
It felt like the entire zoo was ours. The downside was that half of the animals were gone but that’s completely understandable as no decent person would want animals to freeze for our entertainment. Regardless, we had a beautiful walk through the entire place twice. Once for animals and second time around for the lights.
The huge LED Christmas tree is the star of the night as it is just a technology marvel to view.
SO MUCH EYE CANDY!

I hadn't been to the Columbus Zoo for a long time! So much bigger. The zoo and aquarium were absolutely amazing! Natural habitats we're well maintained. Animals seemed clean, well fed and mostly active. We all enjoyed the wonderful displays. Price was about $25 for the zoo and aquarium. They also had rides! I think you could pay per ride or maybe buy a ride pass bracelet (??). Also, they had a splash park! No info to give, just that I saw it as an extra part of the zoo area (need to buy a extra ticket for the water park). This attraction has a HUGE parking lot ($10 for parking...I highly recommend buying tickets online. Also, you should print your tickets before you go! You pay for parking at the same time). From the parking lot, there is a "tram" to get on to ride to the main zoo entrance. We had a great day!

We had a great day at the zoo. They have QR code that you can scan to have the map right on your phone or they offer paper maps as well. They had great signage too so it was easy to follow and find your way around. There were volunteers at a lot of the animal viewing areas that shared information about the animals we were seeing. They have plenty of seats throughout for breaks. You can take in drinks and snacks too which is a great way to save some money. They do have stands throughout for food and even offer Great Lakes draft beer. They have a great food court too. The outdoor area is covered with plants so you get plenty of shade. We saw a good amount of animals. We learned a lot we didn’t know about different species too. I would recommend you check it out.

This is by fair the biggest and best zoo I have ever been to. We went here on our way down from New York and it was a great decision. We spent 5 hours at the zoo saw plenty of animals. The zoo was very clean, staff was helpful and friendly and they had a lot of displays and beautiful landscaping.

This zoo is one of the best I've ever been too. The animals are excellently cared for. They have zoo ambassadors at the exhibits to answer questions about the animals. There are multiple shows and demonstrations. The zoo offers private tours and experiences for an additional charge. It is huge and beautifully designed. There is a water park right next to it that I haven't explored. I have visited this zoo twice and each time I left completely exhausted. You could easily spend a couple days here to really get to see and do everything. They have food, alcohol and dessert available for purchase. The entire campus is non-smoking. There is plenty of parking, and a train inside the zoo and a shuttle to ride if you are parked far. The zoo has a couple of little rides. It's perfect and designed well for families or whomever to enjoy!

One of the best days of our vacation was spent at this zoo! I would definitely come back again, this time maybe for The Wilds experience.
We got there fairly early, not long after opening. FYI, there is a parking fee collected when you enter the lot, so be ready.
We saw so many animals and had great views that allowed for some awesome pics. Definitely recommend spending the extra cash to feed the giraffes, too. I do this at any zoo that offers it and it never gets old. We covered most of the zoo in a very busy 3 hours, but if you want to take your time, you could easily spend a whole day.
Oh, and I loved the Frosty cart, it was a great treat right before heading out. I haven't seen one like this anywhere else and it was a perfect ending to the day.
Definitely recommend.

We love close enough to go to the Zoo regularly and enjoy the beautiful grounds and education offered. The zoo doesn't remarkable job of encouraging conservation and understanding animal habitats.
I am adding a review of the WildLights for 2023. The sheer volume of work that goes into this endeavor demonstrates the sense of bringing community together. It was awe inspiring - packed for sure. Things seemed to run orderly and for trip the weather was cooperative. If you haven't gone go- parking is $10 and then of course the price of your ticket worth it for a family outing to see lights and enjoy the sights...side note most all the exhibits close at 5PM.....so don't expect to see the animals..just the lights.

Fun, fun, fun!!! We spent 5 1/2 hours, and still could have a little bit more time! The boys had fun, seeing some cool animals that they didn't get to see very often. Lions where very active, gorillas where fun to watch run around, Elephants wherebout and walking, and the sting a ray bay, was a must! So so cool to touch them!

We went during the last part of March, and it was still cool enough that some of the animals were off exhibit. What animals were out, were great to see, and very active! The amount of walking g between exhibits is a bit tiring and the exhibits that were closed for the season looks like they had not been touched since last year, they looked like an abandoned part of the zoo.

This is the most kid-friendly zoo I have ever been to. It's extremely large yet the entire zoo has exhibits geared toward children. Eleanor and Josh especially enjoyed learning to be copilots. You can get very close to the animals, which is unusual.

Christmas lights was one of the best displays I have seen bar none. Worth the trip for sure.
If you are going to see animals go earlier in the day because a lot of displays of animals end about 5. The one bad thing I will say is if you go,plan on being stuck in parking lot for at least 2 hours or just camp in parking lot all night. No traffic direction to exit so therefore all night traffic jam

It's pretty much always a good experience here. The membership is a great value if you live in the area. The free parking for members is huge.
The zoo fits a lot into the space. It's not as sprawling as the Cleveland Zoo, but it has a good selection of animals and habitats. There are some fun, unique areas like walking with the kangaroos and the tunnel going through the seal area. The boat ride through the Dinosaur Island area is a hit with the kids.
The zoo does get extremely busy on weekends and during summer, and traffic shuts down the city during Zoo Lights in the winter.

A solid 1/3 of the animals just seemed to not be around. I understand we’re early in the season but we paid full price for probably 1/2 of the attractions being available.
No line control at the entrance so people were just all crowded up against the gates to enter with people just cutting and shifting into lanes after already standing in line an hour before getting to this point. 2 lines that just turned into a chaotic blob.
The Unextinct after hours exhibit was a much better experience than the daytime zoo visit. I would do that again.

I love going to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. They have so many great animals to see. I especially enjoy the Pallas' cats, the bears, the sea lions and seals, the reptile house, the penguins, the tiger, and the manatees. The property is well kept, and the habitats for the animals are nice and spacious. It's a great place to take kids or to just spend an afternoon. You'll want to allow yourself plenty of time to see everything, though, as it's a large zoo! Definitely worth a visit, or several!

We came to do the Frankie Experience; a behind the scenes visit with Frankie and his mom Phoebe. We were able to feed Frankie and help bathe both of them. We even got to touch Phoebe’s foot. We learned a lot during this visit. We highly recommend doing the Frankie experience. It was a lot of fun.
Zoombezi Bay is a major water park located adjacent to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. It has a variety of slides, pools, and other attractions for both adults and children.
Had a great day in the sun with the family. It was a perfect thing for us after not being able to do much this summer. The workers were very helpful answering our questions and showing us where things were. Spent 1 HR at the zoo and 4.5 hrs at the bay.

They need to improve on a couple of things. The hours for one. Make it to reflect how many people want to come. There was too many people allowed in at one time. Capacity levels were too high. Broadening the hours would make it better. It takes an hour just to get to the top of one slide. 10-7 is not realistic. Open earlier at least. Second is that they need more people to empty trash cans and clean. Trash cans were full, bathrooms stank and vomit was on a walkway that never got cleaned. The tubes were slightly deflated and many people were just swimming down it. $$$$

Fun place for kids, price for food is normal just like any parks, I went on a Wednesday so it was not busy. Do NOT waste your time buying the zoom pass bracelet that let's you "save time" in the lines. 80% of the time I was trying to get the thing to work because it wouldn't swipe, and you have to make a reservation at each ride with it. Save your 27 bucks. It's not that drastic of a difference.

Took my 7 year old daughter and was surprised at how large the park is. There are many slides and attractions. We especially loved the lazy river and wave pool. I will say food and drink are pricey and there's a long wait for service. Lines to the slides seemed a bit lengthy considering how many "lanes" were available; however, as with every business, certain areas seemed short staffed. The splash pad area was insane, but plenty to keep everyone happy. For the money, a good value. Get there early if you want a shaded spot. Plenty of chairs but shade is definitely a premium. All in all, would definitely do it again, but perhaps renting a cabana would be worthwhile.

Never disappointed even though I prefer a creek or lake over public swimming places .. spent quiet a few of my kids birthdays here and they always have a blast. Just spent my youngests 10th birthday here and he enjoyed it as did the rest of us however it would have been nice to have had a private cabana my oldest is 17 and not once has one ever been available and so many times I've seen the names reserved but theyve been unoccupied for several hours even half the day before the people who rented them show up and I think that's a waste and disappointing for the people who do want one for when they open til the time they leave so my rating is based off feeling like their should be more available

My six year old had a fun time! He pretty much stayed at the wave pool which was his favorite! We visited on a Friday and we got there at 11:30, and it was extremely crowded. We didn’t purchase the fast passes for the water slides because my son doesn’t like them, but I recommend doing that. The lines for each slide were SO LONG. There is a lot of different things to do here and a lot of different food items. We brought in our wagon and a small cooler with drinks and snacks, the sign says no coolers of any size inside the park but the guy that checked our cooler said it was fine to pass through. We go to cedar shores quite a bit in Sandusky and in comparison I would say that this water park is aimed more towards older children. Or kids/people that are into thrill water slides. We did enjoy the lazy river. If you plan on visiting be prepared to stay all day, and definitely bring some food and drink.
We would visit this water park again 😄

Tons of rides, plenty of food options, fun lazy river ride, rides for older and younger kids. Nice tropical decor. The lines can be very long but they do have so many people that visit this place so be ready to be patient waiting in lines. We went there when the forecast was supposed to be raining but still too many people are out enjoying the park. The location being next to the Columbus Zoo is a bonus because you get to have two attractions in one.
In fact, if you buy a ticket here, you get free entrance to the zoo the same day which means, you really need to plan a whole day trip if you want to take advantage of the rides, sightseeing the animals and more.
Fun place for families with kids but you can also come here and enjoy as an adult as they do have adults-only sections.

It took us about 4.5 hours to complete all the haunts and rides. The twisted clown haunt was the best, but they all were good. I think we got a good value for our money. First time here and it was a pretty good time. The park seems like they keep up with it pretty well. The kids area which is called baboon lagoon was a blast for my 4 and 6 year old. On the negative side of things: 2 of the 4 bigger slides for the kids area were closed. It looked like the 2 big slides that dropped pretty fast were closed as well. The wave pool was the smallest one I've ever been in with the deepest part only 5'. The waves only got maybe 2ft from the original water level. The baboon lagoon was filled with over protective parents that had to go up and down with kids on the slides which made all the slides have twice the wait. Let the kids play, they don't need to be attached to your darn hip. If you feel the need to walk your child up to a slide a couple times to learn the "ropes", fine, walk your happy butt back down. Later in the day it was clearly noticeable that they let entirely too many people in the park. People were set up in the landscaping and lawn because all the chairs were taken. The lazy river had people just treading through it because there weren't enough tubes for the amount of people. It's like they pack people in like sardines. Overall it was a decent time. I wish they just managed the amount of people better as this had to be a safety hazard.

Disgusting. MASSIVE OVERCROWDING. There is nowhere CLOSE to the staff required to accommodate the DANGEROUS AMOUNT of guests they cram into this cesspool. Seriously: they have GOT to be breaking some sort of capacity to lifeguard law. CERTAINLY IN THE CHILDREN'S AREAS. The hordes of people frantically swarming in tells that there must be PLENTY of revenue generated to raise the workers' compensation. (not to mention the INSANE daily price per person) Teenagers usually LIKE working at water parks! It just shows how greedy the whole Columbus Zoo enterprise has become. TONS of rides were closed, because there weren't enough staff to monitor them. Due to an insanely more expensive "fast pass", which essentially allows people to cut the big line and continuously ride a ride multiple times....it took us close to 2 hours to wait in line just for the first ride which sat up to four, yet the people running the ride weren't calling out to ask guests in line if more riders wanted to share a tube when only 2 were riding. Only half our party got on that ride. This was due to the fact that we had one relative monitoring our 3 children (ages 4 and 6) in the "Baboon Lagoon." Which SHOULD NOT have been an issue. But THAT was the worst of all. I would bet there were around 200 people in that section. (people, not little kids) And there was ONE GUARD...Mindlessly blowing an ear piercing whistle at parents who dared to rest their bottoms on the pools edge to actually WATCH their children. (THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO PLACE TO SIT) Every. Single. Chair. is covered with one flip flop, empty sunscreen, something dumb. And almost no one is at their seat all day. Mind you this was at like 11 am right after opening. Ever think of having a few seats just open and not allowed to be hogged the whole day by one person, but left for people who might have a disability and just need a seat every once in a while? Large unruly kids and teens had migrated over to the children's Baboon Lagoon" area, infiltrating the entire platform... they were out of control. There was no guard on the actual platform area. There were NO slides open or "working" at the top part, but of course none of the big kids knew that so they were cramming past all the little kids, practically knocking both the children and parents over in a rush to find the "next best thing". Literally every slide had ropes just sloppily tied to block the opening. When I tried to tell the lifeguard about the older kids pushing the smaller ones, he shrugged his shoulders and said that "they were allowed to be up there and that there was no height restriction on that ride". I understand this for parents, however I thought it mentioned in the pamphlet that that area was geared for younger guests. At any rate this particular lifeguard was not concerned about the safety of the children being pushed but more about defending the fact that the older kids had the right to be up there and he definitely couldn't do anything about it. I saw him TRY to speak to a manager-looking girl who appeared to be no older than 20, and I watched her shrug her shoulders shake her head and just walk off. In the end I could tell that it wasn't their fault, and the park was just being managed in a ridiculously poor fashion. Whoever is in charge ultimately does not care about the safety of the guests, the stress of the workers, or weather or not a child drowns. Because IF this water park continues to be run in this fashion, no doubt an accident will most certainly happen. By noon that day, most people were leaving. We decided to try to sit down for a picnic lunch on the way out. Of course the teeny tiny picnic area...which like, can I just ask:why bother? There IS room for additional picnic areas. So yeah, the picnic area was swarmed with people & no place to sit. AND then GEESE! For some reason people are feeding geese. There are no signs to inform people NOT TO. DEAR ZOO: you have an E:coli situation in your picnic area. Please educate folks on not feeding the animals.

I think it's extremely overpriced. If you have a family of 4 you will spend about $200. It's more cost efficient to go to Kings Island. You will get coasters and water park and they close late. This park does have a lot of water rides and activities for all to do. I like that it's connected to the zoo but it's two different costs. I'm ok with that also.

I took my 2 granddaughters for a nice day in the water. With my zoo membership the entry cost was still pricey at 75.00. We did bring a lot of our own snacks and drinks knowing in advance that the cost for these things were high. Two small dip-in-dots was 15.00 bucks. The souvenir store has some items fairly priced but mostly very expensive. All together for three of us sharing one order of chicken tenders, one order of nachos, 2 collectible cups and a t-shirt each, was over a 400.00 dollar day. Now on the good side, the water felt marvelous, the lazy river was amazing and we did that several times. Staff was decent. Due to the cost, we can only enjoy this park once maybe twice per summer.

COSI is an educational science center that offers interactive exhibits, working labs, and planetarium shows. The Center of Science and Industry is popular with kids and adults alike for its interactive learning opportunities like the electrostatic generator and High Wire Unicycle.
The over all experience was great!! There is plenty of things to see and learn from most being highly interactive to keep the kids entertained and engaged. Some of the themes include space, life, electrical, recycling and many more. Including a special exhibit featuring Cuba that I personally found very interesting. There is also indoor and outdoor play areas. The interactive stage was a nice break for the kids to enjoy an informative show on electric charges. The only down side was the extra expenses that aren't included in the initial entry fee. The Marvel superhero was the one that stood out for us. None the less we enjoyed our experience and look forward to taking the two hour trip back up again soon.

We absolutely had a blast at COSI! We were trying to fit a lot in and definitely needed more time and we were there for 5 hours. My little girl was three at the time and we did have to pay for her. I am a teacher so I did get entry free which was so nice! If I wouldn't have checked out the counter and paid cash I never would have known that so I'm glad we didn't prepay.
The activities were fun and engaging. There were so many sections that we couldn't really do with our girl because of her age so we are looking forward to going back multiple times as she's growing. The tot area was okay for her. She is almost four so she was a little bored up there. She really enjoyed the house area.
We really loved multiple areas where my husband and I could have stayed there for hours playing! I love that they had an interactive space where they could make parachutes and test them out! We really had fun in that area as well. I could go on and on... So much fun exploring science!

While the Center of Science and Industry museum has some interesting exhibits, the overall experience fell short of expectations. The exhibits seemed outdated, and there weren't enough interactive activities to keep visitors engaged. Additionally, the ticket prices felt too high for what was offered. Overall, it's an okay place to spend a few hours, but don't expect to be wowed.
The Titanic Exhibit was an additional $42 per person after paying the $35 entry fee and with parking and any food and trinkets !! Not sure how these places expect to go broke!

The price was quite a bit of sticker shock, especially the random Columbus arts and culture fee 🙄.. but seeing how the kids reacted to everything, even how the adults in my group had fun with them was pretty awesome. We passed on the additional cost attractions so I can't comment on those ... Except the marvel exhibit. That alone is worth the whole trip for me, it's a FANTASTIC exhibit and I highly recommend it for adults and children alike.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Atomic cafe food was excellent. Whole museum was clean and well organized. If it was closer to me I would even consider the membership program they offer.

This museum was so much fun! Went with some friends and we had the most amazing time. So many interactive exhibits and many learning points. The King Tut exhibit was one of the coolest things I've done ever and the artifacts blew me Away. I highly recommend locals and those traveling check this place out. Planetarium comes with admission! I believe adult tickets were $25 at the time so definitely reasonably priced for all the magic you're getting. 3 floors of science and exploration? I will be for sure coming back with my daughter.

So much to look at! You can easily spend a few hours here.
If you go on a Saturday try to get there right as they open to avoid it being crowded the entire time you’re there. They have a great kid space upstairs that is spacious and they have a nice water area.

A really fun museum. We enjoyed the rat basketball a lot. The dinosaur exhibit is pretty good and so are the interactive space displays. Can't say anything about the planetarium because they cancelled the last two shows for the day. I never found out why. The small town of Progress was exceptionally enjoyable. The food at the cafeteria was surprisingly good. Very good infact. Prices did seem excessively high though

Beautiful science center and fun for kids all ages. My toddler loves the kiddie area and the dinosaurs and my other older children enjoyed the rest! Will definitely return!

Really great place for both parents and kids!! Very interesting, and they had tons of fun hands-on stuff for all ages to enjoy!!😁 The only thing that was a little disappointing was the planetarium show, which was not very entertaining for the kids and was more about Egyptian mythology about the stars than our solar system. We said that we should have skipped the planetarium show.😕

Visited COSI on 10-14-23 with three adults and five kids. The total price for the entire day, which included parking, entrance, and food, cost approximately $410.
We've been coming off and on for some odd years, and while we have always really enjoyed it as a family, it gets harder to justify the astronomical price, comparatively to other things.
Many exhibits are the same as they've been, with little to no change whatsoever, in the last decade.
The cafeteria can hardly maintain the influx outside of very early morning hours. Prices for food are extremely high (higher than amusement parks, football games, or other comparative places pricing), and this particular time, the special exhibit (Barbie) was incredibly underwhelming.
While the kids had an incredible time, and we adults too, and enjoy what COSI has to offer, as a returning and paying visitor, it's in need of a total face-lift in regards to maintenance; and just in general.
If you've never been, it is highly recommended as it's a unique and incredible place to experience. Adults and children alike can explore and be immersed into a world of science and exploration, but it has little to no return value outside of special exhibits.

My family went to enjoy the Titanic Exhibition. The place was insanely busy. Overall, the exhibition was incredible and we spent several hours exploring the rest of Cosi. Definitely a fun way to spend an afternoon with kids.

I love this place, but I wish it had more hands on things for the younger kids to do. We went for the Marvel attraction. It was cool, but definitely for teens and adults. They did have the costumes from the movies on display. We went on a Saturday so it was very, very busy, but that was expected. My only complaint is about the rude adults that do not try to control their children, or know how to act in public themselves.

Very cool place with so much to see, for the very young to adults. Grab a map and wander around. I found myself having to stop the kids from just running up to an exhibit and touching everything and if it didn’t “do” anything, they’d run to the next thing- there is a lot of reading involved before you can do the actual activity. So, I had to call them back, read the instructions to them, then it was actually a cool thing to do. My kids were ages 8-12. They just wanted to physically do everything without really knowing what they were supposed to be learning about. So, adults, keep up and get engaged along with them so they know how to complete the activities and maybe learn something from them. The Marvel exhibit is cool, but I’m not a fan of the extra charge to see it. The outdoor courtyard stuff is fun and there’s a playground out front of the building too. There’s a cafe and gift shop. So much to do and see, could be an all day thing if you want to get your money’s worth.

My family had a blast at Cosi! Love the teacher discount and the reciprocal memberships to other museums. My oldest loved the king Tut exhibit and my youngest loved the dinosaur exhibit. The kids play area is great and the outside play ground is so fun. So much to do we never see it all in one visit. I always recommend this place to anyone coming to Columbus.

COSI is committed to recycling, protecting and preserving nature, and maximizing fun when educating kids. We have a membership and go there often (it's paid for itself on a few visits already!). There are little things about this place that can make it interesting if the big displays don't catch your attention, like the sun dial in the outdoor eating area of the café. There are a variety of farm animals and an activity tent available for their Farm Days now, so go pet some docile creatures and learn how to support local farmers.

Huge muesum with lots of exhibits to see. Spent about 3 1/2 hours just to find out I didn't get to see the ocean stuff, kinda bummed. I bought tickets for the Motion Simulator ride and it was pretty awesome. My favorite was the King Tutankhamun exhibition. Pretty amazing story and beautiful replica of his tomb. Let's not forget the planetarium. So beautiful, calm and relaxing. Durring our presentation, we got a little history about how the Egyptians used the stars and sun for many things.

One of my favorite science centers. I have been here roughly fifteen times throughout my life and each time I have enjoyed it. Three floors packed with exhibits to see and learn from. Something for every age found here, especially if visiting with littles who would benefit from the third floor kid room specific for all under first grade. This was the first trip my kids were too old to go in but we always enjoyed the time spent here at Cosi, definitely recommend a stop!

Went with family to visit for the first time. Lots to see and do here for kids and adults alike. Interactive exhibits and neat displays to try out. Prices were reasonable, and it wasn't too busy to wait and try things out. Would go back again!

Went here on a spontaneous trip and it was absolutely wonderful. Easily spent 3 and half hours attending all exhibits. Dinosaur exhibit and the planetarium show were hands down my favorite spots.

Wonderful place to spend the day. Plan for the long haul there is so much to see it’s worth return trips. So many fun activities for the kids. Spend some time in the store and grab a kit. If you’re hungry the cafe was great! The trip back in time through progress was incredible.

Cosi simply is one of the best science museums in the nation (having visited most of the popular ones around big cities) ; the building is well thought of and the space is perfect for accommodating amazing collections of science and nature exhibits. Several areas have rotating exhibits that keeps it fun.
Various events keeps us coming from dinosaurs tales, to rats basketball, construction displays with real bulldozers, to adults only night at the museum!!
The kids play area is one of the best and most comprehensive I’ve seen (at par with children museums) with well maintained and cleaned items.
Membership includes reciprocity entrance to most science museums nationwide.
Parking is easy.

What an amazing resource for the community. Such an incredible experience. There are so many interactive exhibits to spark curiosity in both the young and young at heart. Just the history behind the museum is exceptionally enriching. COSI has been on my list since the sixth-grade. Today was the day. The planetarium was awesome.😃 The glass elevator was a crowd pleaser. The energy, the ocean, & the recycling ♻️ information are definitely something we can all learn from. Take the day or more to enjoy 😉 all COSI has to offer.
Like and follow for more adventures ✨️ Travel well 😌

Wow! What an amazing science center! We were first timers from out of town and we had the best time!
It was crazy busy due to spring break, but once the initial entry rush was passed, there were only a couple exhibits that were too packed to really experience and that’s saying something since we were there for about 6 hours.
We all had fun, but the younger kids were kinda done before our oldest, so I’d recommend more for ages 6+, although they do have a little-kid only space. Our littles just didn’t want to spend that much time there.
Highly recommend the Electricity Show and Rat Basketball! Other favorite exhibits included the Gadgets and Dinosaurs.

A great place to spend some time and learn about various things from science to history. Great for kids and adults alike. Wish I had better timing to see the Titanic Exhibit though.
