A amazing experience during winter one of the best light shows I've ever seen even comparing to other states I've been in! Super family friendly awesome staff and like I said one of the best light shows you'll see! It's a must check out during winter and if you're anywhere near here or even far away it's well worth the trip!

We have had a wonderfully relaxing weekend in the cabin at lu mill. Cabin was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Love the tub!! The only complaint is the water. It smells. Once we took a bath in that awesome tub, it made the room smell like the water. It could be that we are used to city water and this is well water but I would advise anyone to being bottle water.
Please stop by the gift shop and get a wine slushy or two! Those are to die for!!
Other than that we love it and we will be back!

Very friendly and accommodating. Tasteful sweet wines. Loved our samplings. Definitely approve of Muscadine wine. Lovely gift shop with jellies, sauces and condiments. Answer the phone cheerfully and provide needed information. Amazing buffet included a large food, drink and desert sampling. Wait staff very accommodating. Holiday light show is worth the trip

Great Winery! Enjoyed the delicious wine tasting, pleasant & knowledgeable staff, as well as the beautiful property with the fish pond. Will absolutely be back for more in the future . Thank you!

We spent our 5yr anniversary here this past weekend. Very nice and tranquil. Bring something for the flying insects if you leave your doors open. Make sure you get some wine slushy! Very close to Carolina beach were we drove down for a day trip. Dollar General & local gas station is near by. We will revisit soon.

I loved the place nature wise it was amazing and quiet perfect for couples and even newly Weds like us 😁 just an fyi at night it's pitch black, no lights so be careful driving at night in that place with the cabins and the beds are tough as rock but overall we enjoyed our little getaway so thanks

Very beautiful vineyard. I love the lights during Christmas and I love Mr. & Mrs. Claus! The price was only $10/person. Under 5 is free. When it isn't the holidays this is still a beautiful place to go check out. You can pay to catch and release fish, you can rent one of their beautiful and cozy cabins. You can also check out their gift shop including their delicious wines and juices that they make! 🥰

We had a lovely stay at Lu-Mil Vineyards on September 3rd as part of the Harvest Host. Andy helped us get settled into our spot and gave us all sorts of great stories about the vineyard and its history. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous abs worth a walk around the land. The site was level and had power and water. We did the tasting and walked away with 4 bottle of their wine and one wine slushy. Must have a slushy!! We would definitely come back and plan to in the future.

The wine slushiest are perfect on a hot day. A great overnight #HarvestHost stop with our travel trailer. They even offer Elec/H2O hookups. Dog friendly on the patio. Very quiet and relaxing winery.

So, it was OK. I just expect more. We brought dinner back and no utensils. So think hotel not cabin. Also no hair dryer. No daily towels. My biggest peeve! Was all the RULES. We drove from South Florida and I was looking forward to having my parents over (who are local and would have bought a few bottles of wine). But they seem to be strict as they post the rules everywhere!! No this no that… no no no!! Looking for an excuse to charge more!! Beautiful location. No frills no extras. Boring. Staying at the competitor next month. Yeah we come monthly for several days at a time. Their loss. Clean and price is same for anything in the area.

We had a lovely wine tasting here a few weeks ago! We are members of Harvest Hosts so had the wonderful opportunity to stay overnight in our RV. Staff was super friendly, wines were delicious, the grounds are beautiful and our stay was so appreciated! Thank you Lu Mil!

Best place to get away from society and enjoy a little nature! I wish they would take the TV out of the rooms. Would love for the cabins to be a little cheaper with pricing (especially) the ones without hot tubs. Weekend or not, if no hot tub and just an average cabin, should never be over $75 a night
Ann Smith — Google review
A truly wonderful experience. My wife and I stayed as part of Harvest Host. Our tasting found every glass an enjoyment. The vineyard and grounds were spectacular. My wife said that it was the loveliest winery she has seen.

After visiting another local winery in the area and having a poor experience, I headed over to Lu Mil and was greeted with smiles and kind staff working behind the table. The wine was sweet and delicious, the grounds were nice to relax and enjoy fresh air. Worth the visit when visiting or passing through.

Delicious wine and beautiful vineyard. Book a cabin, it's very peaceful.
Odyessey — Google review
We went here for a 3 day getaway. Check in was super easy and the the lady running the counter for the wine tasting was nice with a good sense of humor. The grounds around the vineyard was very well kept and clean. The cabin was itself was clean and set up nice. The only issues we found with the cabin was that one of the running boards on the bed had previously been broken and was patched back together. This caused the lost at the foot of the bed to feel less than sturdy. There were also a lot of large gnats inside the cabin, assuming these were fruit flies from the vineyard and nothing can be done about it. Just beware of it if you plan on having lunch or snacks in your cabin. The heart shaped tub awesome for relaxing after a day of walking around the property or fishing in the two lakes. The lakes are beautiful and the grass around them are well manicured so enjoying a nice walk is easy to do. I would like to add that the fishing aspect of our trip was enjoyable with the exception of the lakes are not very deep and you have to fight with algae and pond weeds. The lakes are also open to the public for pay to fish. We had the unfortunate pleasure of having to listen to several foul mouthed youngsters as they made their way around the lake fishing. There is not a lot to do in the surrounding areas but we were ok with that since we wanted to spend our time on the property anyway. All in all, we plan on going back again.
Featuring an expansive relict lake, this wooded park offers camping, fishing, hiking & swimming.
We loved this small campground. Each site has plenty of room - no rows of trailors. You are surrounded by nature instead! Beautiful large lake. Plenty of rangers patrolling the area. Great trails. Very quiet. Unfortunately, we did see a large political flag displayed.

We stayed at Jones Lake State park 3 nights. We had a fhu site. (1 of 6). It was a nice park with a great trail. We did the bay trail. 4 miles. It was muddy last 2 miles. It rained our 2nd day. We were going to go and do the 5 mile trail. There is no dump station at this park.

Elizabethtown is so lucky to have Jones Lake State Park! It is a very well kept park with great trails! The bathrooms were clean and they had nice picnic tables, perfect for a picnic! They had a nice pier you could walk on! I also really enjoyed walking to salter's path! Once we got their they had a nice bench we sat and relaxed at for a few minutes! Overall it is a great state park!

It's a lovely state park and I enjoyed my time hiking the Bay Trail. Visiting this Carolina Bay lake gives you some nice views. It could use some work on the trail but they have to deal with flooding from rainstorms. Also, the Mountains-to-Sea Trail goes through part Jones Lake State Park.

Very enjoyable visit. I went trail running today and had a good time. The park is very clean and well kept. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The visitors center has some interesting exhibits which are well worth the time to check out. I would like to camp out in a month or two.

Very well kept park with great help. In the rangers headquarters is an exhibit of the area an how the lake was formed very informative. Bathrooms are new and clean. Only a few full hookups but even the primitive sites were nice. Decided to stay another day. Ready to move to a primitive site but we lucked out our site was a cancelled and we got to stay.

Friendly staff. Excellent camp ground. Great showers. Lovely lakeside views!
Apparently I've reviewed it before but what I said wasn't very helpful. Here's why I hate the gravel on the trails: the rocks are huge. They turn ankles easily. They're pointy. The gravel used on the tent pads would be better. Smaller stones. More comfortable walking surface. It helps control overgrowth better, too.
This is a problem on most NC state park trails tho, so I won't hold it against them. I hope the next time they lay more gravel down, it's smaller stones.
Kai Llamas — Google review
Great park for day use and camping. Not a lot of campsites but very good/bathhouse. Lake is very shallow and not good for fishing other than maybe yellow perch. Note you have to make reservations on line ahead of arrival.
chris farthing — Google review
I can’t say enough about how we love this place! First of all it’s super clean! The whole park is well kept and bathhouse is a lot cleaner then other parks we have been to. Things to do: multi use trail that goes around the perimeter of the lake, kayaking (bring your own), swimming, hiking, fishing, and so much more! It’s more secluded then other lakes which something we look for when camping. And if you need to get a few things from the store Elizabeth Town is only minutes away. Just go!
Jaja Jaja — Google review
Love this place! Great option to go to if your tired of the over crowding at White Lake. The water only goes to about 5 foot in the swimming area but is clean. Kayaking around the lake is also something we love to do and there are plenty of picnic shelters to have a birthday party, all of free.
The Airborne & Special Operations Museum Foundation is an extensive exhibit featuring the U.S. army, airborne and special ops. It includes a theater, motion simulator, and various exhibits that display the history of soldiers who have sacrificed for their country's freedom. The museum is well-organized with memorial plaques and gardens to walk through. Admission and parking are free, but visitors are highly encouraged to donate so that this inspirational institution can continue to honor lost, current, and future soldiers.
A great afternoon to learn and pay respect to our lost, current and future soldiers who protect us from harm. Well organized and displayed. This exhibit is free but highly recommend a donation to keep such an inspirational institution going so that we never forget what our soldiers gave/give up for the freedom we take for granted.

I took my youngest daughter to see some of the history her father was a part of. The exhibits were exceptional. There was a point where my emotions almost got the better of me. This museum is filling a large void with regards to information on the sacrifices our men and women in the Armed Forces have made to better this country and the world! The Staff was excellent! Definitely going back soon and frequently.

As you walk through the doors of the U.S. Army Airborne & Special Operations Museum, you are immediately transported into the world of these elite soldiers. The museum's exhibits are designed to take you on a journey through the history of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces, from their early days in World War II to their current role in the Global War on Terrorism. It was a great experience.

An outstanding and highly recommended museum - to include free admission..!
Plenty of parking and there was a gift shop onsite, too.

A wonderful visit to the Airborne and Special Operations museum just outside of Fort Bragg! Definitely allow yourself at least 2 hours to tour the entire facility and watch a few video loops. Admission is free and so is parking, there is a lot to see around the museum, memorial plaques and gardens to walk through.

Immersive. You feel like you’re walking through history. The mannequins are positioned so realistically. The exhibits are full of artifacts and interesting information. The layout of this museum is well thought-out.

Such a great homeschool field trip. There was so much to be taught and the museum does an excellent job illustrating the different roles and wars that took place. Can't believe it's donation only. They could easily charge a hefty entrance fee.

Time allocated: 3.5 – 5 hrs
Fantastic! If you are not interested in the military or history, you may be able to go through in an hour. But if you like military history, you may find yourself staying for several hours. Only thing that was evidently missing was a static display of the aircraft that supported the Airborne and Spec Ops. Granted there are a couple within the museum, but sadly there are no large outside exhibits.
Mark Smith — Google review
Amazing museum! It's free and even kids will have a great time. The veterans memorial is on the other side of the road, which is also very interesting.

Amazing museum and wonderful staff. I can literally spend 4 hours here and still feel as though I'm missing important historical facts. Definitely recommend.
Dark Seraphim — Google review
I could have spent three more hours in this museum. The dioramas are so well made. The stepwise sequencing of events from inception to present day ops was "loud and clear". Floor directional arrows would help, as well as increased air flow on the exit end of the display area. Well worth the time and donation money to see the details from a black project perspective.
TK Cloonan — Google review
This is a well done visual history with interesting artifacts and lifelike figures. Starts at 1940 and walks you through to current conflicts. The volunteer staff were kind and shared the path to take through the exhibit. While we didn’t get to experience the simulator because it was down for repairs, we spent 1 1/2 hours walking through reading and viewing the exhibits. As veterans, it’s hard to leave without being impacted by the men and women who have served our country. As a free museum, I would definitely recommend visiting.

Walked through today with my father in law. We were fasinated by the historical outlay of all the exhibits. The museum walks the patron through the history of ABN/SF one jump at a time. Every one should add this to their bucket list.
North Carolina Veterans Park is a beautiful and well-maintained park that honors veterans from all branches of service. The park features an interactive story garden and commemorative sculptures, making it a great place to take a break from your busy day or travels. Visitors can gain insight into the dedication and courage of our military veterans by taking a short walk through the park. There is ample parking available in the middle of the lot, and visitors are encouraged not to skip either side of the parking area.
It was a beautiful and well kept park. We really enjoyed it.

Take a break from your busy day or long travels and visit here. A lot of insight and background. Great for short walk to view dedication and courage. Don't skip both sides of parking lot. Parking is in the middle There's a small area across the street but didn't visit that area this time. Some water fountains were down due to Covid. We arrived after 4- when the shop closes. See pics

I visited Fayetteville before but it was on a Sunday. Drove by this park and only had a few minutes to look that day. I made the two hour return trip, yesterday specifically to spend more time and be able to enter the building. I am sure glad I made the trip, The hospitality of the two wonderful ladies at the front desk on Saturday, April 1 , made the trip well worth it!

The memorials under construction but still rather impressive for the artwork. Visitor Center was closed despite the sign saying otherwise but you were able to see the fallen soldier table in the corner and able to get some good pictures if you tried hard enough

The Cape Fear Botanical Garden is a 77-acre public area that houses more than 2,000 different plant varieties. It features an arboretum and a children's garden, as well as several sections for walking and relaxing by the pond, under trees or in the gazebo. While some of the land is forested with trails, the garden itself has plenty to offer visitors all year round – even during winter.
This was the first time that I experienced going to the Holiday of Lights in the Garden after living here for 10 years. There were so many lights to see. I can’t believe that I waited 10 years to come and experience this place. My daughter went to see one of her friends perform at a Christmas Show. I am very pleased with the experience. This was my first time at the Botanical Gardens and it is beautiful out there. There were so many lights and different themes of lights to see. There were little areas of kid games, vendors and even informational booths from around the community. I love supporting local businesses and there was some fresh baked goods that I bought several items from. We had some hot cocoa and coffee from the coffee stands that were there. My daughter and her friend went into this big pipe and rolled down a hill. There were picture taking with Santa and the Grinch too. It is definitely a place I would go and visit again. Prices weren’t too expensive to go in and I remember being able to buy tickets online.

What a relaxing, educational and calming experience exploring the park. A very good place to just chill with nature whether you choose to do some walking, exercise, meditation, special occasions, play, or study the many varieties of plants, trees, and flowers, as well as the animals that complete this ecosystem.

Beautiful garden. Great for visiting or hosting events including weddings. Ample parking. Lauren (event coordinator) was really helpful and friendly. David was amazing as well. 12 hour rental. Worth your money but not flexible with media vendors. They only contract with two media companies that are not very affordable.
Chris K (Queen M) — Google review
The grounds of this facility were beginning to display the festive colors of spring and summer, and the temperature was perfect for an outdoor adventure. Many crew members were actively working to weed beds and plant new flowers around the property.
We did not explore the entire garden park, but we found the historical exhibit and the children’s park to be delightful. My toddler grandchildren enjoyed the rope spider web, the slide, the spectacle sculpture, and the log tunnel. The General Store took me back to my childhood with the many artifacts from bygone days. The tobacco barn and the outdoor privy are excellent teaching tools for the children who study late nineteenth and early twentieth century America.
The facility has some indoor and outdoor spaces that welcome memory-making occasions like weddings, small formal dances, and birthday parties. I hope to return in the summer to see more colors in the foliage.

Great experience! The gardens are fantastic. We went in the winter, and it was still very nice to get out and walk around. The gardens have lots to look at and great views of the river. I am sure that all the Pokemon Go lovers will be amazed at all the available content on the game that is in the gardens.

Fantastic botanical garden. Even before things begin to go into full bloom this place is absolutely gorgeous and serine. It was so peaceful to walk around the garden and down the river loop looking at all nature has to offer. I can’t wait to go back after the spring plants begin to bloom!

Very pretty garden with a lot of sections to walk around. Has very relaxing places to sit by the pond, under the trees, or in the gazebo. The annual membership costs half of those at other gardens I've been to. Only downside is that the actual garden area is not too large; much of the land is forested, with trails.

Visited during the “take a child” event. Loved the quietness of the location even though it was in the heart of the city. Loved the children’s play area. Beautiful flowers and well maintained. Would have loved to have a bit of explanation for the old houses that are on the property but none the less they were adorable. Gift shop was great. Will return.

This place is SO much better than I had expected & that is saying a lot, because my expectations were quite high to begin with.
Tips:
-You can bring a wagon or stoller, some of the paths are packed gravel so a jogging stroller is advised
-Pack a lunch & eat at some of the benches throughout the garden!
-They have a Children’s Garden, with a little playground & an above ground walkway
-Family passes are $90ish for the year, if you go & decide you like the gardens, you can use your receipt towards your family pass
-Go in the mornings! The shade (which there is plenty of) is so nice in the morning, especially when the air is fresh & cool in the mornings
My kids & I have had such fun. It’s so well-kept & beautiful!

A wonderful garden in Fayetteville! Highly recommended going for quiet walks and beautiful scenery. There is something to do all year round. We have yearly memberships and it pays for itself! Christmas time they have a beautiful light display and guests get to walk around and enjoy the lights at their own pace. It’s a beautiful and quiet garden get-a-way from the city for sure!

There was no attendant at the ticket counter when we arrived and we were left waiting in the lobby until finally someone called us into the gift shop to purchase our tickets to enter the garden. I tried being friendly but felt the woman working the gift shop was not welcoming. With military discount tickets were still almost $20 for the two of us, pretty buildings but not much to see. We were gone within an hour and left with a lackluster impression of the gardens and overall experience considering the entrance fee.

This is our third year of Holiday Lights and I love and appreciate the effort CFBG puts in to make it better every year. The layout was different and unique. Really enjoyed how they had a couple of photo opportunities in different areas to help with line volume. We also liked the way the food trucks were set up this year as well. We had a great time exploring and will be back again for different events!

The walk is very enjoyable, especially through the shade of the trees. There are paved and unpaved terrain to choose. Plenty of places to sit and rest. I didn't see bathrooms out in the garden space, but the one in the vistors' center was clean and not too far from most of the attractions. The entry cost is reasonable. To be fair, it's been a very hot week with no rain. We will need to come back in spring or early summer when the garden has more color and is hydrated to fully appreciate the space, but it was a nice way to pass the time waiting for our flight.
Nice location to take in some woodsy nature and fitness desires. There’s multiple trails that you can take that different distances and incline aspects. I like to visit the trail to clear my mind, and reset for the upcoming week. The gate closes at dusk so show up earlier in the day for the full experience. Biking, jogging or just getting your steps in. Dogs are welcome but it’s mandatory for a leash.

Family-run zoo featuring a wide array of animals, most of which have been rescued.
This is a great place to take your kids. Awesome experience being able to see many types of animals. Being able to be up close and feed them was very cool. Bathrooms and wash stations are available. Both was very clean and convenient. This is a very cheap place to go for a fun day trip with your family! Will be coming back!

Went on a Tuesday morning. Arrives around 11:30am, the parking lot was semi-full, but the space is large enough to social distance easily. There were a lot of different animals and my little one loved the free roaming peacocks and chicken. Some people were saying that there's enough feed for the animals and that they didn't even want to eat it, but we found that we ran out of our first two cups of feed within ten minutes of our visit. They may have went closer to end of day? ::shrug:: Would highly suggest buying more than two cups of feed for the giraffes. They love it and are so friendly. It was such an awesome experience for me and my family. There is a nice restroom area by the gift shop with AC and child friendly sinks. There's also hand washing stations throughout the zoo. Some were out of water, but the next one isn't far away. The safari ride was great. I understood the complaints of some of the visitors who've left reviews, but I figure the driver and the your guide for the safari are working the safari ride and working on building the drive through road out, so they're probably tired is all. Overall, great trip with staff that were helpful.

This place is awesome! We had so much fun!! We did the car tour first and fed the animals from the car. It’s one of the coolest things ever. Seeing the animals up close and personal is really cool, but being able to interact with them, makes the experience even better. I will say to watch out for the ostriches. They are a bit aggressive. They are not dangerous or anything. They just will stick their entire head and neck in your car trying to get the food. And they’re very fast. If you can, get an extra cup of food, because when we ran out, they pecked at the glass, wanting us to let the window down and give them food, but we didn’t have any. So next time we plan on getting a few extra cups. Because there were people behind us, we did feel obligated to go a bit faster. They tell us that we can pull over and continue, let the other people go around us, but with the animals so close it’s really hard to get off the path. It definitely wasn’t a problem, but we could’ve definitely spent a lot longer on the driving tour, because it was such a cool experience.
After that, we parked and went inside to see the other animals. It was such a nice set up. They had a good range of animals considering it is just a family zoo. We were very impressed. We bought more food inside to feed the giraffe, they like fresh carrots. It was so crazy being that close to them. My favorite was definitely the Tigers though. They are such a beautiful creatures.
They have set up the property to have several different places and scenes for pictures.
They have a place to get hot food, snacks, and a gift store as well. They even have a playground for kids.
Heads up, they offer a discount for teachers, and if it’s your birthday.
Will definitely be going back.

I won’t lie I was scared of the crazy ostrich’s 😂😂 but it was such a great experience.
They have a nice little kick back area too where the kids can play in the playground and you can swing and enjoy the view.
We cannot wait to go back!

I had fun while I was there..
The entire zoo took no less than an hour. It was stroller friendly and kid friendly. They had a small kid area for the kids to play near the entrance.
I would suggest not to buy the food to feed the animals. The zoo is small and there’s two cages in between the animals and you.. so it makes it harder to feed the animals. Plenty of people don’t finish the cup and end up leaving it everywhere. Which we needed up picking up extras along our route.
They had a tiger, I was surprised. Pretty clean too!

We have been planning to come here for a long time and finally did. The experience was wonderful! The variety of animals was great and the interactions that the kids get to have with them is amazing! Being able to feed the animals inexpensively was a huge plus. All of my kids got to see something that they were excited to see. The Safari part where you drive through the park and get to feed the animals as they come up to your car was very exciting. There were endless giggles and "ooohs and ahhhhs" from the kids. We will definitely be back and would recommend anyone to go!

Aloha Zoo is a really fun zoo. Great for younger kids. Lots of ability to interact and feed animals but not too huge. We were there from 10-2. They have picnic tables around so feel free to pack your lunch.
I love feeding the giraffes there. We went this past weekend and all of the animals were quite interactive. We got to hear monkeys talk, feed a baby cow, goats, and alpacas. They have also added a drive through portion to the zoo which is awesome. Our kids loved having the big animals come to our car and get to feed them. They were all pretty tame about getting food which was nice.
It is 15 for an adult entry and 13 for kids 2 and up. Feed is an additional cost 3 dollars a cup ( keep the cup refills are only a dollar). The giraffe feed is cash only- $3 dollars a cup so make sure to have some cash on you 😊. We did three cups for the drive through portion and that was pretty good.

What a great place....the drive thru was under renovation but will be open February 2024. It is very nice to bring your kids or just to admire the special animals 😀. Very interactive as well. You can feed the goats, giraffes 🦒 or anything that's hungry for a snack 😋.

Great place for kids of all ages! Easy 75m drive from the raleigh area. Price is very reasonable for the walk through and drive through. The cups of food are $3 which is great. Snacks available (ice cream chips drinks) and a clean restroom. Play area for younger kids. Animals are very loved and well kept. The drive thru was our favorite!!!!!

Great place to learn and encounter exotic animals. Very educational talks in the amphitheater and details about how it all started. Donate to this great organization! The bathrooms are pretty new, air conditioned and all the details were thought of. Small sinks for kids, changing station, a chair and clean. The safari ride is a lot of fun. Soon they will be integrating the animals out in the safari ride so they can just walk up to the vehicle!

It was a nice place to take my grandson. He enjoyed it and the animals mainly were rescue animals. They are doing good by them. Tickets pass for each of us and he’s only 4 we’re $12 EACH + any food you bought to feed the animals. Think I ended up spending like $35 total. But it was for a good cause and the grandson enjoyed it as did I too!!

Absolutely loved the experience. You drive through the first half and some of the animals will walk right up to your car, which is super fun. Second half you walk through and there's lots of animals to see. Lots of benches and stuff to take breaks if needed in this heat.

Great time and memories for the entire family. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The animals were all so friendly and came right up to us. We spent several hours there. Highlights were the drive through safari and feeding Jeffrey the giraffe. My kids got to touch and interact with so many animals and jeffrey was such a good sport even enjoyed the scratches from the kids. The price was well worth it and buying the feed was to. We visited the gift shop which was very clean and well stocked with reasonably priced goodies. The restroom was very clean as well. Will be going back soon.

Great experience with my daughter! It's a very large open range where you can take your own car and drive-through where the animals roam. You can purchase feed and feed the animals from out your car window! If you've never done something like this I highly suggest it. It is a great family adventure, full of fun and laughs. After driving through the Safari you can get out and walk through the zoo. There are caged animals, with plenty of different exhibits of all sorts of endangered species. It's an older setup, however you can tell they take very good care of the animals! I will absolutely be back! This wasn't my first time there however it was my first time driving through the Safari in my own car.... Talk about some major belly laughs 😂 it's not expensive and it's not far from Fayetteville! This is a must due on my list.

The animals were very sweet and totally fine with people touching them. The Kangaroos, Giraffes, lamas, ostriches, and goats were all very excited to see people. Totally worth feedingthee little guys especially the Giraffes. Great experience and the employee's were all very nice.

We visited for the first time today and we absolutely loved it!! Our 2 year old grandson loved feeding the animals both parts but especially in the drive thru area. I wish the tigers would have been awake but just like house cats they were being lazy. The prices were good for everything, including the gift shop. We will definitely be going back again!

Our kids had a good time and for that we are so grateful! This place felt kinda greet tho. Almost every trash can overflowing. Animal habitats looked…sad. The safari was underwhelming and at one point our kids saw an animal being carried away in a bulldozer and then just laid out on the ground (they need privacy when something goes array or an animal needs attention). The indoor exhibit reeked of urine.
I think maybe they are understaffed or staff is under led at the moment. Since I couldn’t find any information on this place being a sanctuary, if the animals are purely there to make money, they should certainly have more money spent on their wellbeing.
We’ve never been and I hear it’s under new management. Hopefully if we find ourselves there again, things will have improved

Definitely enjoyed ourselves especially the ride thru part. I was excited scared amazed all at the same time. The staff was friendly the price is reasonable. Definitely suggest everyone to take love ones so the see for themselves.

I feel like the animals are bunched together all on one section of the property. The building, cages and walking areas are just so close together. There's barely walking room to make a pass on the narrow walk through to see the animals. As big as the property is, I feel like the animals should have more room with bigger, cleaner and updated cages. They don't seem happy. At the giraffe, they have carrots to buy for $3.00 to feed the giraffes in order for them to come to you but, they can eat the food that you buy at the ticket window. I went here because it was the same concept as Zootastic Park ( that I have visited) and 1/2 the drive but, next time I will drive the extra mile. I mean it was entertaining for the kids and a eventful day, but not what I expected. As an animal lover, I feel like with all the room available, they should have larger living areas.

Definitely go on the trail to feed the animals! So much fun, so much laughter! So many beautiful animals! This is a must! I love this place and I have been coming here for years with my kids. There's never any way to, cute little gift shop, and you can feed a giraffe! This blows Asheville zoo out of the water!

Fantastic experience! We did the walk-through, left to have lunch, and came back to do the drive-through. I think we spent around 4 hours total in the park, and we enjoyed every minute. Amazing variety of species, and we were able to feed so many of them! The animals know what to expect, so they’re chill and just go car to car collecting their treats.
Management is knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly love the animals. Denzel and the woman whose name I can’t remember were both happy to answer questions and chat about the animals. They were both very kind. I feel so bad I can’t remember her name.
Feeding the giraffe was very special!

I’ll give this place a 2 thumbs up in Safari Adventure as I love to see the Wild animals in close up. the animals are harmless, The one that get close to your vehicles are Emu, Zebra, Camel, Donkey, and many more while you can also see Animals that are just chilling and in the ground like the Bison, Elks, deer, Reindeer, Bulls, cows, Goats, oxen’s, and many more. There are also animals that were kept in the cage for safety reasons like the Lemur, the Tigers, and there are also the reptile species, cheetah, monkeys , and goes on,
Not too bad to spend a 2-4 hours depends how long you want to stay, There kiddies park and playground for the kids , as it is Kid friendly The entrance fee is $15.00for Adults and $13.99 Dollars for kids you can also feed some of the animals where you can buy them at the entrance, There’s a small gift shop but no Cafe or place where you can buy food, The place is privately operated So over all not too bad for exploring this place located in Cameron, NC check it out and enjoy your mini Safari adventure.

Outstanding battlefield with a cemetery, historical markers, a visitor center and houses that were field hospitals. Visitor's center has changing hours, but is worth a stop. Highly recommended.
Oh no... they close at 5 and I arrived @ 5:30 🙄. Since I still have a couple hours to drive to get to my destination, I drove around for a little bit and located Stop 1 Confederate High Tide. The Battlefield is very clean and spacious. It has informative historic markers and signs. If you have time, I highly recommend doing the entire driving tour.

I love visiting here when I get the chance. Despite our difficult history as a nation, it is still important to learn from it. This place allows such an experience. I love getting to visit the visitors center, as there are some great items for sale, and it offers a bit of history on the battlefield. There is also a very nice walking trail, but it can get muddy at times. There's always something to do regardless of the time of the year.

Guided tours of the battle sights. Cemetery is a mass grave sight. Well maintained grounds with handicap access. There's also a visitors center with maps and souvenirs. The main house was used as a makeshift hospital during the battle. There is also a separate kitchen for the house that you can check out. A workers cabin can also be seen. The house well is capped off.

We visited Bentonville Battlefield State Park in North Carolina. It is very interesting history to me. I was unaware of the large battle that took place here. We stopped in the visitor's center, looked around and watched a 15 minute movie about the history leading up to the battle. Unfortunately, the Harper house was closed for restoration work. However, we did get a tour of the grounds and outbuilding. Our tour guide was informative and provided a good picture of the history of the battlefield and the Harper house. There is a self guided motor tour to different sections of the battlefield and surrounding area, that is about 10 miles. We tried a couple stops, but we didn't get good enough cell phone coverage to be able to hear about the sites. I like historical places of interest and this was a good visit to part of our nation's history.
At the visitor's center, there is a vending machine for drinks, restrooms and picnic tables. We visited on a Tuesday morning and there weren't a lot of people. By the time we left the visitor's center, several more people had arrived.

If you haven't been and have a chance do not pass it up. Went to their "Peace to the Gallant Dead": the 157th Anniversary Commemoration. This was the anniversary of the first day of the battle. Over 4,000 luminaries lit up the battlefield to the sound of taps in commemoration of each of the casualties of the battle there. You can see the house where the injured were treated. Such a sobering experience Thank you Miss. JoCo Emilyann Marsh for the invitation to this event. I will be returning and offering to volunteer 🧜♀️

Nicely preserved battlefield in which one can walk and explore sections of the battlefields, trails, cemeteries, and check out the museum (check hours of operation). This is the site of the largest Civil War battles in North Carolina, but it is often overlooked as significant because Lee surrendered to Grant just a few weeks after the last shots were fired here. A fascinating and horrific time in this country. I am glad this and other sites are preserved so those that follow May remember and learn from the past.
Mark MIlburn — Google review
The park looked interesting, but when they state gates close at 5 and you park at 4, they mean buildings will close at 4:15. It's a little disappointing, but I did get to park on "overflow" outside the gate and tour the monuments. I'll go back and look in the house when I can spend more time.
Although it is primarily a Confederate battle memorial site, there is information and a monument dedicated to Union soldiers who fought and fell there.

Impressed by our experience here! The workers in the visitor center were so nice and helpful! We took our time and explored all the battlefield had to offer. I loved being able to dial in for the phone guided tour. We went on the driving tour as well! Just an awesome visit with tons of information!
This animal sanctuary is a true labour of love. I am in awe at the small staff yet how well the animals are cared for. Every exquisite animal (carnivores excluded) had their own carefully cut fresh produce. It must have taken hours just to prepare their breakfast. The water bowls were clean even the ones outside and the pens were free of odors.
The animal themselves had such wonderful personalities. From the pig that followed me around trying to squeeze in tight spaces, the tortoises that came to visit me and my favorite the monkey who played peek a boo. (Yes really) The cats and kittens (available for adoption) including a beautiful orange kitten who was the most affectionate cat I have ever met. He would make a wonderful cat especially for someone who needs company.
There are python snakes, sloths geckos, an alligator, a camel, horses goats. As you walk to the back of the property it gets more exciting.
I could have spent 4 hours here just enjoying the animals though it was very cold today.
It’s worth a trip and consider a donation if you can. The sanctuary is definitely a place worth investing in.

Self-guided tours are available!
Definitely a beautiful concept, however they seem to be pretty short staffed. The animals didn't seem their happiest unfortunately.
However!
The team are for sure trying to provide the community a window into what beautiful creatures exist in the world and they can use your help!
Whether that's donations, volunteers, guidance, and supplies.
They do house a plethora of exotic animals and with that being said being able to maintain proper care, proper habitat, and interaction looks challenging.

Wonderful experience at this animal sanctuary. All sorts of rescue and rehab animals to see. You can interact and/or get up close with pigs, sloths, a camel, exotic birds, horses, etc. There are even kangaroos that roam freely, although they don't want guests to approach them. Allow at least 1 hour. Lots of uneven terrain as you walk around as this is a natural environment. Restrooms available, although they're a bit aged but, since this facility depends on the entry fees and donations to take care of all these animals, I would say they are putting the funds in the right place.

Already asked, Jalapeño is not up for adoption. (He lost some more feathers, he loves the attention and connection with people.)

Truly one of the most unique animal sanctuaries I've ever been to. With water bottles and restrooms insight, this establishment clearly puts effort into making the lives of these exquisite animals the most that they can be, with a good amount of freedom for each of them, while keeping everyone safe. My husband and I were in awe of how many different kinds of exotic birds there were, each with a different song. Jalepino the bird was so friendly and happy to hop on our shoulders, the animals were happy and interactive, and the signage was very helpful in identifying what different species we were looking at. We loved the funny little monkeys, and prairie dogs trying to teach us how to dig a proper hole (seriously!). Overall, I'd say this is one of those, "so close to home, you just gotta see it to believe it" kind of places.
What a beautiful way to spend a perfect Sunday afternoon! Thanks for bringing the magic back to our lives!

We were celebrating my best friend Candice birthday in NC last weekend. We had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful establishment and we were WOWED by the service, wine, food, vibe and the family. Nate greeted us for our wine tasting but he also gave us great background information as well. He kept us engaged and he took extremely good care of us our entire visit.
Before we left we met the wonderful Liz who is a shining spirit in my book.(P.S. Try the Mary Elizabeth wine 🍷 when you visit) She encouraged us to come back for dinner, so we did and when I say, " NO REGRETS!" ALL OF OUR FOOD WAS DELICIOUS 😋
Angie our server was funny, entertaining and a joy our entire dinner. She was even able to have Mr. Linwood the chef stop by our table for 2 seconds so we could thank him in person for the magnificent meals he prepared for us.

I came here on a Friday afternoon for wine tasting and it was just me there. The set up for wine tasting is way different then what I'm use to. Since it's a winery and a restaurant you do the tasting in the dining room area at a table and the server brings a different bottle out one at a time. The wines were sweet but not overly like most muscadine wines. Had some pretzels to enjoy while tasting. The Brady wines was pretty cool too, never had those before. A brought a bottle to enjoy while taking in the views. The property itself is very pretty , will have to go back and visit and maybe try the food.

Arrived after the wine tasting times, expected to at least have a bar to buy a glass but no, it seems it’s a restaurant that doesn’t want to be a full winery. My wife and I went and got a flight each, I liked every beer I tried and naturally took some home with me. The tour was fun and informative. We had a great time at the Aviator brewery. We used a Groupon. We went on a Friday evening. It was fairly busy and they seem to have a number of repeat customers. You get a flight of 6 beers and they are very generous servings. I would say the flight glasses hold about 3 oz. Each. The staff is very friendly and willing to answer questions. There are a number of oversized games you can play. There are indoor and outdoor seating. Outside there are lights around the veranda area.

Over the last 2 years I have noticed the beer quality of Aviator has gone down hill. For years I enjoyed most of their offerings but lately not so much. Not sure what they are doing but it is not the same. Food is decent so I'll still pop in from time to time but obviously with all their growth they haven't kept the same attention to detail with their beer.

Some of the best beer in North Carolina. I wish they would open up a tap house in the RTP area so I wouldn't have to always go out to Fuquay....but either way I always make it a point to go visit aviator whenever I can!

We came to aviator and they were so hospital and kind. They seated us and took care of us and then apologized on Vicious Fishes behalf. THANK YOU so much for saving the day!!! The food was delish, the drinks were awesome and the hospitality was fantastic. I’m having a wedding soon locally and will make sure my guests stop by. Unfortunately, the owner of Vicious Fishes never properly apologized and accused our party of being “too drunk” clearly we had no problem at Aviator. Thank you so much!!! We will come back again.

A very nice place to have a drink but the wait staff are very raciest. I felt very uncomfortable. The waitress went and took care of all the people that came in after us. My fiancé had to go to the bar to order our drinks and even after that the waitress came 15 minutes later to ask if we needed something and never came back to our table. All the white customers were taken care of immediately. While nobody came to our table this is a very very raciest place to come to as a black person. I don not recommend this place to anyone.

We were pleasantly surprised by this museum. It is very well done! You learn about the history of an interesting lady. There are number of costumes worn in movies as well her personal attire. Also a number of personal items.

For anyone who's interested in the Golden age of movies, this is a great day trip. There's a short movie (18 minutes) to get you started and then you can explore the many costumes, ephemera, and personal items from Gqrdener's life. Be sure to take advantage of the docent and ask a lot of questions, it will make your trip more memorable. I spent 2 hours but you could spend less or more depending on your level of interest.

I truly enjoyed the Ava Gardner Museum. It's small but filled with information about her. The movie was great.

A Beautiful museum. The person in charge of the museum is very enthusiastic and you can tell that she loves her works, she make her best effort to answer any questions you might have and put that extra to make sure your visit is memorable.
We visited Saturday afternoon and found parking in front of the museum. I did not see a parking lot. The museum is very clean and cozy.
If you want to know more about this iconic artist and are in the area you must pay a visit.

We pass signs for this museum on our way to Myrtle Beach every year and this year we decided to stop to check it out. We are very glad we did! The lady at the front desk was very helpful and full of information about Ava and the 20 minute movie gave more background on this beautiful lady. There are lots of original items and costumes and the library is full of interesting photos and facts. Definitely worth the stop (It's easy to get to off 95) and small enough that you can see everything in 1-2 hours.

Thrilled with my experience! I spent about an hour enjoying the exhibits. Beautiful costumes and an intriguing story for fans of Golden age Hollywood, music, and popular culture. She was a magnificent figure - a Goddess embodied to teach us all about true beauty and art.

I really was not familiar with Ava Gardner before I came to the museum.
I was just looking for things to do in Smithfield, NC.
But I found it was well worth my time.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about Ava Gardner, particularly the paintings of her, which each have their own unique trait.
I would definitely recommend a visit.

When you 1st go in, there's a lady at the door who gives you loads of helpful info and then there's a 10 minute movie. Very helpful info before walking through the museum. There is a small fee but well worth it for all that is in there and all that you learn. Can't wait to go back!!

Very knowledgeable host at the small museum. Great theater room with large screen to watch a short biography of Ava Gardner. Lots of dresses and outfits from personal and professional life. A woman before her time for sure. Plan 1-1 1/2 hours.

Have wanted to visit for years.
My mother told me of this grand Love. My MoM was from Japan and loved movie magazines.
I was enthralled as a teenager.
Tony Bennett had just joined Ava and Frank in heaven.
I asked them to please welcome Tony to Heaven.
I shared a quiet moment to thank her for her influence that her Life and adventures made a difference for those who came after her.. that she is world recognized and still influences women and our daughters and on it goes.
Timeless.
A daughter of North Carolina .
Two dragonflies came to visit me during prayers.
Synchronicity .
Ava is ever in our hearts

This is absolutely worth a visit. A lovely and personal tribute to a screen legend. The docent is the daughter of one of the museum's founders and her time ans attention to my visit was much appreciated!

This is a wonderful and classy tribute to Ava Lavinia Gardner and everything she represented to her fans. I was personally thrilled to see the references and memorabilia related to Frank Sinatra (of course) but also Mickey Rooney, Artie Shaw and some of her friends and acquaintances like Earnest Hemingway and Howard Hughes etc... this place is well maintained, the hostess was very knowledgeable and friendly, it was very neat and clean and perfectly placed in her own small hometown! The price was very reasonable. It's an easy stop as it is right off I-95 and well marked plus a quarter-mile down the main street from the museum is the family gravesite where she is buried. Overall a very pleasant experience! 🥰👌🏻
Swimming beaches & hilly hiking trails around 9 lakes, plus campsites & boating excursions.
Very much enjoyed camping here with my son's. Campsites are nice enough and easy to get to, clearly marked. Bathouses we're better than expected. We camped right on the lake and the boys fished all day and night. Caught plenty of channel catfish. Will go again!

This was a fun stay. Was there for 7 days and it went fast with lots to do in the area. Staff was easy to work with and kept the park up well. Our spot (B9) was secluded with the neighbors a ways away, and an easy walk to the lake! Will go back if in the area.
Jim McMichael — Google review
A wonderful group camping location on the lake....very spacious and cared for... Staff are responsive and understanding... Water pressure on site is plentiful... Views from the campsite are what we hoped for... Unfortunately, there are planes from time to time overhead... But not bad... Bathrooms and showers are well kept and hot water is plentiful... We will definitely be rebooking again...

A nice relaxing area. Currently free to enter. The sign says no charge to enter until March 31st. Plenty of parking . Plenty of kids were there on a weekday. There are places to change clothes, grill, relax and have a good time. Alot of trees for shade and open area if you want to get some sun.

Great water front campsites (tents) and nice spacious pads with power just behind them (have power hookup). Can’t beat the cost for a couple night rental. Swimming was good and the water is super warm (it was early August), great to lounge and just relax in, just don’t expect to take a dip and cool off 🤣
Zachary Parchomenko — Google review
The water level is too high because of recent storm. The ramp was completely flooded and in some places parking spaces are completely submerged in water.

Great Day Trip! $7 parking fee for all day long. Grilled right next to the beach at a picnic table. Parked in the first entrance and i love that the water was shallow enough for my 5 year old to play in. She ad a great time at the park as well.

Love this lake! My papa is a regular here he drives here from Durham. He goes to this lake almost every week. Caught some great fish here, lost my biggest fish I ever caught and made some awesome memories

It would have taken a 5 star review, if it was not for a situation we encountered on our second night there. Around midnight on Saturday (Sunday June 2, 2023), the campers in the campsite before ours began to argue loudly, screaming and using profane language. My daughter, a minor who has special needs and could not sleep, shouted "please shut up", to be answered by foul language. We contacted the park rangers and explained that their argument had become physical, also there had been statements of a knife or the threat of stabbing. 45 minutes later, rangers showed up, as the altercation had come to an end. Aside from this, we enjoyed the park and lake, my kids love the place and we will continue to go, but do recommend as an expert in the safety/security/enforcement field, to have a better response time for volatile situations as this, as this could have turned into a life threatening situation, without the involvement of other campers, not the rangers.

Love the set up of the sites and scenery. Facilities are very clean. Most campsites are level and are easily accessible for rv parking. Only gave a 4 rating due to no water at campsites as it is still winter. Currently here (February) and Temps are in the 70s. Attached pictures are of campsite C19 in Poplar Point.
Michelle Bayless — Google review
Just beautiful 😍 I stayed at the Poplar Point section.
The RV sites are far enough apart so as not to disturb your neighbors.
Many of them double as tent sites.
I was surprised to learn that they just installed 50 amp service as well⚡
Nice walking trail🥾🚶

Really lovely campsites on Jordan Lake. We didn't have direct access to the water, but could have selected a site closer to the water if I wanted to.
This time of year, the bathrooms are locked during the week (which was on the posted info but we didn't really pay attention so it was a bit of surprise for us).
We love car & tent camping. Loved the clean and freely available bathhouse. Good privacy this time of year.
My only word of warning: be prepared to be "inside" of wherever you are sleeping when the sun sets. The yellow flies and other flying bugs came out and were relentless, even with our tried and true thermocell. It's not unexpected being out in the wilderness, but should be known in advance.
We will ABSOLUTELY be back for a longer stay next time!

It's a great place for a family outing, fishing, camping,They have 3 beaches. My grandkids loved it. You have to get there early in the morning, bring your food, drinks and don't forget the charcoal for the grill.

This was my first time here. It's a beautiful spot! It's a very big area, and was also very clean. There was a nice playground area for kids, nice bathrooms, and even a pretty area for camping. It is definitely a great place to relax.
The carnival was fun.. But it's the same thing every year.. About time they add something new... Kids still had fun

This outlet has a very convenient location. It has been here for a long time and offers several brand names and specialty stores. Is very busy. Lots of parking spaces. Restrooms are clean but not enough of them during peak hours/seasons. Lounge is large and clean.
M S — Google review
Lots of stores to browse and it has a casual strip mall feel. An enjoyable shopping experience. Ample parking near each individual store so you don't have to walk a great distance unlike most other outlet malls.
Dave Guryevsky — Google review
We travelled down from Virginia and stopped off at this mall to pick up some items from the Carter children’s store. Music was loud enough to think I was in Tijuana and almost samba danced round the store. Staff were disinterested except for the obligatory ‘can I help you find anything’. In my head…..Yes, the volume button for this racket over the speakers!!
I made my purchases more out of necessity (quick baby gift). Prices misleading and not displayed very well. Amazon sells exact same items cheaper and without Samba (my bad for not forward planning). Buyer beware. None of these stores offer any real discount, definitely a ploy because of shortage of good high quality shopping areas. So let the exploitation of the masses commence.
Signage around the mall area states military discount……. I asked in the aforementioned store and it was like I had just cussed at her. Anyway, military discount is ONLY offered in stores where there is a patriotic star displayed. Good luck in the scavenger hunt for that one. Sorry my experience was not even mediocre and won’t be returning.

I make a trip to the outlets a couple of times a year. There's always something fun to discover. When you're all shopped out. There are a few good places to stop and grab a bite. The only drawback is the parking situation. For as much space as there is, if you find a spot, you need to grab it.
Terry Eldridge-Murray — Google review
This outdoor mall has a bit of everything for shoppers. You won't find restaurants here, but there are a few nearby.

Love the Outlet stores. It's in a good location and has plenty of stores with a good selection of food places in the area. It can be expensive but it's worth the experience if you don't mind walking and shopping. I like that it's only an hour from my house. I even enjoy the drive to and from my house.

I had a great experience at Carolina Premium Outlet. However, I recommend going on a weekend during the holiday season. Two factors highly noted was Carolina Pottery had Senior Citizens 65+ entitled to a discount on Tuesday. There are quite a few stores that discounts for military persons showing their id and a symbol is displayed outside the store to inform them before entering. Great discounts but walk around and check out the prices before purchasing the first thing you see. Especially if you are trying to stretch your dollars which is not made out of rubber. I found my favorite store Woodbridge and went back the next day. The jogging pants are fleece line thick and very warm if you jog, or walk your dog early morning or late evenings.

Great location for me as I work next door as a gymnastics instructor and it's only a mile from home! While I've never personally interacted with staff, I've given a little wave here and there through the window as I walk by and they seem friendly. My daughter loves their dog that she often sees, too. I'll be sure to come here for any future garage door needs.

Jewelry outlet a little suspect but Nautica and Nike outlet are great
Columbia is outstanding as well, they even offer employee discount for all mall employees. I think Nautica does the same.
And Cracker Barrel is phenomenal for eating before or after shopping

I finally visited the Smithfield Carolina outlet stores today. I'm really not an outlet shopper at all but I heard this location had a variety of stores and brands I enjoy. I did not get a chance to visit every store while on a time limit but I am happy with what I spent within my budget for the quality of items I purchased. I enjoyed shopping at the Adidas store. They had a 60% off clearance sale and I was able to purchase 2 outfits for my daughter priced at $7.99 & 10.99 per piece. The selection was excellent and I saw some adorable IVY Park sneakers and boots by Beyoncé. Customer service was excellent. I also visited the Lane Bryant store to purchase undergarments. The customer service was impeccable and the store was well stocked compared to Raleigh. I was very happy with the sale items I purchased and will definitely return to visit the remainder of the stores.
This outlet mall could use a modern renovation so that is the only negative.
Mariss — Google review
Great sales and majority of stores had great customer service. 1 store we went into didn't even greet us. It was the store that sold dresses for sweet 16 or proms. Shame on them.

I had a fantastic experience at this outlet! They have an incredible selection of brands available at unbeatable prices. Highly recommend checking it out!
Saurav Malla — Google review
Only con, but a big one, of this place is not entirely their fault, is the road markings into this place!!
It is a nightmare for non regular customers. The turn lanes are so faded you miss them and other drivers are aggressive and impatient. They should "encourage" DPW to re-strip the roadway and use more signs. If it's dark outside and raining it's 100 times worse. But, inside the area is clean of any trash and clutter. Plenty of parking. And I feel safe there.
Sc783 — Google review
It's not terrible. I had a hard time finding items that fit me well, I'm on the tall side but Columbia was the only place that had clothing that I'd say fit well on me, the Big and Tall was more big than it was tall. "Premium" seems to be focused on the price of items more than quality or selection in a lot of stores. Was relatively clean with an ok food selection. Average outlet. I doubt I'll be returning if shopping for myself.
Skyler Shaffer — Google review
This was our first visit here after quite some time and it was a lot of fun. I would have given the visit 5 stars had it not been for us getting hit by clouds of weed smoke coming from every direction as we moved from place to place.
Smoking weed is still illegal here in NC, right? I'm just trying to educate myself about this just in case I missed the news that it's legal, now.
I hope our next visit will be a bit better. I will revisit my review if things improve at that point.
NOTE: I fully realize weed smoking is not the fault of Carolina Premium Outlets. However, having to endure it while on premises does diminish the overall experience for many people. So, the review nets a '3' rather than a '5'.

My son and I explored Carolina Premium Outlet. He got great deals and loved shopping at this place. Definitely, we’ll be coming with the whole family.
JRs was excellent.
My son-in-law and I went there to pick up cigar pipe tobacco and cigarettes for the wife. I can't wait to get back there to try other cigars. This is definitely the place to go for all youe6smoking needs. It also has a nice lounge to sit and smoke cigars
Papabear Sciuti — Google review
Great selection and friendly staff. It's worth the drive and definitely the place to stock up or buy gifts for the cigar fan in your life. Reasonably, price for consumption and didn't feel price gouging. Definitely will be back and best selection I've found in the greater Raleigh Durham metro so far.

The customer service department will not get your order corrected if there are issues. If you need to make order changes I recommend you talk with management or sales. Three calls and two wrong shipments and still waiting for my order to get here. Sounds like she is watching TV at her house.
Daniel Meehan — Google review
Prices were good and I got greeted pretty quickly. There was an odd greeting after I entered the store which caught me off guard. It was like I was getting reprimanded for not speaking loudly enough to have service. None the less, I did get out of there pretty quick. I don’t actually smoke cigars but when you walked in it smelled really bad of cigar smoke and there were people playing corn hole.
Michaela Radermacher — Google review
Great spread of facings. Knowledgeable staff to help find a stick to match your palette. Prices are good. Clearance items’ prices are great. Their house cigars are my “sacrificial lambs” for my humidors, and they are great for short smokes, the golf course, or friends who won’t truly appreciate a higher quality smoke.

Great cigar store with huge selection. Prices are average. Look for the discounted clearance items for some bargains. Much smaller place that it used to be. It is also a cigar lounge now
Howard W (HDog) — Google review
A cornucopia of cigars, pipe tobacco, cigarettes and accessories.
They have downsized quite a bit since my last visit a few years ago, but they still have an amazing selection of fine cigars. Very reasonable prices on all brands and their JR label cigars. They also have ultra premium cigars in a special walk in humador.
With the downsize they kept the selection and now feature a spacious smoking lounge.
Definitely worth the stop.
Jonathan Greenstein — Google review
My happy place. Unmatched selection, service, and price. Rarely do you find such a well rounded and pleasant experience.
mickey Dickinson — Google review
Ok to the people who say the place smells like smoke. Yes yes it does. Why? Because in this day and age you can actually still smoke inside here.
If you're a cigar smoker there are few places left you can actually smoke a cigar inside or outside for that manner.
So if you are complaining that it smells like smoke you must NOT be a smoker so ....
Now for pricing. All cigars are priced by the stick at just slightly below MSRP. Box pricing is discounted. And if your like me only shopping their closeout shelf just picked up a box of undercrown 10 factory floor box of 20 for $132.30 before tax. That is $139.70 less than 20 cigars at the MSRP of $13.60 a stick.
Just remember all things are relative.
Gary Phelps — Google review
Very big selection of both cigars and cigarettes. They do have a smoking area so if you want to sit down and smoke a cigar you're more than welcome. It's right off the highway so if you just passing through it's a quick on and off. Prices are very reasonable. And the staff is friendly.
Gerard Lo — Google review
The place is quiet, like a library. Very spacious and chilly. There's never a crowd here, so if you are The loner type, you will love this place. All the other stores in this shopping mall as of this review, are boarded up, except this one Cigar Store. There are wooden statues and wall pictures of crowds, which adds to the quiet erieness. The manager or owner was following me around, suspiciously watching. You can hear slow wooden creaking from customer footsteps, some breathing.. just a lot of silence here. Was almost disturbing.
Small, industrial craft brewery specializing in a lineup of American styles using local ingredients.
Great brewery in downtown Clayton. Nice ambience with cool events; yoga, live music, a nice rotation of local food trucks, and most importantly, great beer. Ample parking, reasonably priced drinks, an all around good place to spend an evening with friends and family. Kid friendly during the day events (like Sunday morning yoga for example), but I do wish they had more stuff for kids to do and adults alike; maybe Cornhole boards for the adults, things like that.
Great local staple for the Clayton area.

This place is awesome. I moved my parents to North Carolina over Memorial Day weekend and we took a break from unpacking to get a bite and beer and holy cow; the beer is amazing. I come from Boston where there is a brewery on every corner but Deep River is one of the best that I have been to. Up north every brewery is 15 IPAs but Deep River had lagers, pale ales, reds, shandys, wit, seltzer and ciders and many more! The atmosphere was awesome. They had an American Flag/Jeep event going on and an awesome food truck but despite all that plus the holiday weekend crowd, the best part was the staff and prices. Such great and friendly staff and great beer and an even better price!!!! 12/10 must visit! Dog friendly and they had games for kids too!

Visiting family in Clayton, and they brought us by here. Nice venue, food trucks, plenty of space indoors and outdoors, seems to be family friendly, large beer menu (15-18 taps). I sought out more of the obscure beer offerings, which were a miss for me, BUT I would not say this place is bad just because my two beers weren’t the most amazing beer I’ve ever tasted. Solid place, def recommend.

First time visiting this brewery. Came for Octoberfest event. Excellent selection of tasty ales, from IPA to porters, stouts and lagers. Very large indoor with ample seating and great room for live music. Outdoor patio and street level seating areas also popular amongst guests. They were not doing any sampling for this event so we had to order a beer we thought we’d like the best but they were all good.

The American Tobacco Trail is a scenic and historic trail that stretches for over 22 miles through North Carolina. It follows the route of an old railroad bed and offers a picturesque journey through forests, wetlands, and farmland. The trail is popular for walking, running, cycling, and horseback riding, providing opportunities to enjoy nature and outdoor activities. Along the way, visitors can also explore local wildlife and learn about the area's tobacco farming heritage.
Great trail, this map marker is not a trailhead but rather just a midpoint on the trail itself. 22 miles!

What a kool lil museum. I ain't a smoker but the process was interesting. Don't skip the 15 minute video at the beginning. It was pretty informative on the process. Lots of artifacts from times past. The property has a few buildings scattered about.
The best part was the blacksmith Dakota, WOW, he was so kool. Loved all his explainations about his trade. He made me a few things too.

Located in downtown Raleigh, Pullen Park is home to a carousel, miniature train, and many other attractions for the whole family to enjoy. It has been in operation since 1887 and is one of the oldest amusement parks in the United States.
Beautiful park with a large playground for kids of all ages. The train around the park was more fun than I thought and great for taking pictures. There is also a place to eat and a carousel here as well, and plenty of restrooms. You can even take a paddle boat out on the lake!

What a great park! I was in town and wanted a park to go to with the weather being so nice and I saw that there was a lot of reviews for this one and I decided to check it out! It was AMAZING! My daughter absolutely loved how versatile that park was! The coolest part of the park had to be the Marry-go-round! The paths are paved so they are stroller friendly. There was a lot of shade and places to sit and have lunch. There was even a little food hut in the park! We didn’t eat there but many people did! The coolest part was the music that was playing near the restrooms, gave retro vibes to the area and made you feel like you stepped back a few decades

Pullen Park is North Carolina’s oldest public park, and the 5th oldest operating amusement park in the US.
There are lots of flowers and gorgeous landscaping to enjoy while strolling around the park.
And there is a little train you can ride that circles the park.
The real highlight here however is the Gustave A. Dentzel Carousel which dates back to 1911. I may or may not have pushed some children aside to make sure we got on the cats! There were also giraffes, goats, bunnies and of course plenty of horses. Took me right back to childhood. Well worth the $2 ticket price.Swan shaped paddle boats are also available for rent. Plus plenty of play areas for kids and some other interesting things to see like a retired train car.

Pristine park within the city of Raleigh NC. It is beautifully landscaped around ancient trees. It has plenty of paved pathways and bridges with benches and seating areas to enjoy the beauty from. There is plenty to do. You can ride a train, a carousel and paddle boats. There are picnic areas and playgrounds for toddlers to older children.

We had such a good time at Pullen Park. I enjoyed riding in a paddle boat; you will see beautiful scenery around the park while paddling. There’s no long wait on weekday afternoons. The park offers many attractions for kids and families, including carousels, a train, paddle boats, and playgrounds. There are also some picnic areas, or you can enjoy walking around, and tickets are not expensive.

This is a 5 star park but only gave it 4 star due to lack of parking spaces. Otherwise beautiful serene peaceful park with natural beauty surrounding it. Definitely highly recommend taking the train!

This is a great park, not just because of the attractions and play area, but the history also. It makes it all the more enchanting. The train and the historic carousel absolutely delight my toddler, as do the paddle boats. Be prepared to wait if you go on a weekend, though. There's pretty much no wait on weekdays. There's picnic shelters and grills, and a great playground, with stuff for kids of all ages. The concession stand also has great food and treats, and the restrooms are very clean.

Awesome park. There a lot of activities to do for all ages like train ride, playground, carousel, kiddie boat ride, Paddle boat and alot more. Definitely recommended. Buy tickets online to beat the croud. Lots of parking. Clean restrooms. Mist stations & water filling stations located throughout the park. Cafe inside the park.

A fun park for all ages. Rode the train which runs along the park boundary, it was a short lovely ride. This beautiful park has a lake with fountain and boat riding activity, walking paths, bridges, playing areas, kids activities, carousel, shelters, benches, kiddies boat ride etc. Well maintained restrooms. Parking available but may gets busy on weekends. It has no entry fee but activities are chargeable.

Had a lovely experience at Pullen Park over Labor Day weekend. We were able to ride the train, carousel and Kiddie boats. The cost is $2 per ticket and it's easiest to use your smartphone to buy tickets in advance. There are several different playground areas all designated to fit different ages. Gorgeous flowers and plants. Beautiful landscaping. They also have paddle boats for rent and a nice walking trail around the lake.

Kids love this park! Can’t ask for more. A full playground, a train that you can ride around the park, a carousel, and a concession stand! During the warmer months there’s boats and other activities that we weren’t able to do, while visiting during January but there’s still a good amount of attractions for kids of younger ages.
Park is extremely clean, staff is friendly. A good place to come and take a stroll too. Dogs can’t come into the playground area but it would be a nice place to walk them around the pond.

Our favorite park in the triangle! $2 tickets per person for the rides (train, boats, and carousel). And a fun play area for kids. The peddle boats in the pond were not open when we went at the end of March even though it was a warm day.

The park is beautiful and I'm absolutely in love with the cypress trees around the grounds. However, one really big problem that we encountered is that there was music playing over a loud speaker. I imagine that for most kids, that would be fine. Unfortunately for us, my daughter is autistic and music triggers meltdowns. It's a sensory thing. We were trying to walk to the park area to see if we could get her to play a little bit, and as we got closer to the music she got upset and we had to leave. It took over an hour to calm her down. I know that our experience isn't normal, but it would be amazing if more places considered children that aren't neurotypical and maybe could skip the music or have sensory friendly days or times without it. It's so hard to go anywhere outside of our home and parks are usually a safe place.
I don't imagine that we'll be back because of this.
That being said, it's a lovely little park and I think most kids would really enjoy it.

a beautiful place to walk around… the train ride was $2/person - if you go during the week, the wait isn’t long at all.
the big swans are picture worth as well.
the playground looked great, but we didn’t have anyone with us to test it!

Excellent place to bring the family.Clean and well kept. Lots to do and the employees were super friendly and helpful. Carousel, train, paddleboats and a kiddie boat ride. The playgrounds are awesome too!

We came here in mid February. The playground is very crowded yet a place to cool down. Train ride is entertaining with kids, and the same with the carousel. At this time, the carnival games were closed, but I’m sure they are as good as everything else. A great way to relieve your kids, and having fun yourself at the same time.
The North Carolina Botanical Garden is a green oasis with display gardens, trails, art exhibits, and an education center on the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill campus. The garden features native plants from all over North America including wildflowers, shrubs, trees, ferns and grasses. There are also herb gardens and water plant basins with huge tadpoles, baby goldfish and minnows inside!
Amazing outdoor garden with easy waking trails. Lots of different plants and flowers on display with informative signs. Easy to navigate to areas of interest with a mix of dirt and planked wood paths. Plenty of seating options in each area. Informative friendly staff ready to answer any questions. Free parking and admission! Would reccomend

Small garden but very nicely done. Some shady areas, but also very hot in the sunny areas so plan your day accordingly. Small parking spaces, but we found one in the shade so that was nice. Indoor building had AC, gift shop sold seeds for some of the plants and they had a large selection of nice gifts for the gardener in your family. Beautiful place. So many butterflies and loved the history of the cabin!!

Free admission with plenty of parking spots. I can see this place being stunning in the right season when the flowers are in bloom. When we went. (End of March) it was beginning to look pretty. There are plenty of trails to walk around. The herb garden was our favorite. There are restrooms and a shop as well.

The carnivorous plants were in full bloom when we were there, and it was a pretty sight. The chess board added a fun element to the experience. Though the place was small, it had many species of plants, and they were well labeled.

It was pretty good. This was our first time going and they seemed to have some nice trails. The flowers were pretty but I think it's a bad time of year to visit. I would imagine it is more beautiful in the spring. Today was hot but most of the trails that we checked out were shady.

We love coming here! It's very peaceful, and there's so much to see year-round. It's a very comfortable place for babies to explore nature. When walking the gardens we get to see fish, and tadpoles. There's a birdwatching station, a sandbox and some grassy areas. It's perfect.
The discovery room (ages0-10) is amazing too!

It's free to come to the botanical gardens here and they have a lot. The sculptures were stunning and I was very impressed by the nature walks! Their trails are well maintained and labeled properly. The plants have educational plaques so you learn a lot here too! There is a library, gift shop, plant shop, and classrooms here as well with very friendly staff.

Free admission (please consider donating $5/pp) to beautifully kept, natural gardens in a non fancy setting. Perfect for families with littles as they can wander and roam. Flowers were lovely and plentiful in May 2023. We did the scavenger hunt and walked around for about 1.5 hrs happily. Enjoy!
The PNC Arena is a very nice and clean arena that is popular for hosting events such as the Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL and NC State Wolfpack men's basketball team of NCAA. The Arena can seat upto 20,000 people for basketball and ice hockey events.
Great overall experience at the Canes game. There’s a ton of energy in the stadium and the staff are very nice. They have a good amount of concessions that are expensive like at any sports arena. Parking at the stadium is $10, but there are parking areas further away that are free and not too far to walk. There were kids’ 2 minute hockey games in between periods as well as other questions to the crowd for prizes. They keep you very engaged throughout and have different clips of the team answering questions during breaks. There’s a large 360 degree view screen so everyone can see even if you aren’t sitting close. Seats are as expected (not that comfy, but will make do) and there are beverage holders between each seat. They have box seats available, too. Would definitely go again!

I went with my best friend and brother to see My Chemical Romance at PNC Arena in August, and it was a great experience, even though I was/am sick!
I called ahead of time to get permission to bring a bag no within the "clear bag" policy for medical needs and the security guy I spoke with on the phone was so compassionate. When I got there, I had zero issues moving through security with my (not clear) bag.
Once we got up to our (nosebleeds) seats, it became clear that due to medical issues I have, I was not going to be able to enjoy the show from there. I got dizzy, nauseated and started experiencing cardiac symptoms due to how high up, hot and crowded that section was. I went to speak with an employee and explained my condition and almost immediately all three members of my party were moved down by three sections where I had room to sit back, spread out my legs and enjoy the show. We were still high up, but much more comfortable. We were not charged for this. (View from these seats pictured.)
When I still found myself needing to leave early due to being high up and affected by the music, I went to the ground level and walked into the hall, then watched the last few songs from right there and nobody minded. I was asked several times if I needed anything/was okay by staff and was even given a free bottle of Gatorade (which is saying something, since I'd paid $9 for the first bottle I had).
I really enjoyed the show!

I love PNC arena for multiple reasons, the acoustic are awesome! I really enjoyed going to to concerts and how versatile and flexible this venue can be, and it's the home of the Carolina Hurricanes, Let's Go Canes!!!. The venue is really nice, a lot of parking and they are for the most part very organized so it makes it fairly easy to go in and also the staff on the stands are great! They all are very friendly and welcoming. I'll highly recommend it 🔥🔥🔥

The concert was absolutely AMAZING. I felt safe there was a lot of security. A fight broke out and the security rushed in and dealt with it and the show didn’t stop. The staff was exceptionally nice and welcoming and I was rather shocked and impressed. Security redirected people in a very polite manner. I didn’t see anyone get aggressive. The response from the guest was also kind. If the police took the same approach I think society would be better. I watched how the security interacted with crowd and I was in disbelief truly I was. The arena is beautiful, the concert was amazing and the security was kind. This was a great experience.

Visited PNC for a concert and was highly impressed. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, everyone was super polite and friendly. I do wish it was more clearly marked which entrance we could use. I think we could have entered where we parked (West) but there were only signs or instructions for GA and VIP. The only potential issue we had was with one usher that assumed we were in the wrong seats after being seated by a different usher. I purchased handicapped seats due to health and size. She was extremely rude and the situation could have been handled differently.
We were in section 225 and the view was great.
Concessions were expensive, as expected ($17 beer). Parking, both entering and exiting, was a DREAM for an event this size.
Overall this was a great venue and I look forward to seeing other shows here in the future.

My pastor and I brought our cuurch youth group for the Winter Jam concert. It was an awesome event. There was plenty of seating comfortable enough to sit for a long period. The concession foods were reasonable prized for such an event. The employees and everyone there was great. The bands were awesome.

Always a great time coming in for Canes games. They sell N/A beer in the C-store right beside The Eye. Really great for those of us who don't partake.
If you're wanting to shop at The Eye, recommend getting there an hour before the game. Pictured is 20 minutes before puck drop.

Get the club access! It’s so worth it! We saw a sold out comedy show at PNC last weekend. We were seated in 228E which were padded folding chairs behind the stadium seats for section 228. We had SO MUCH leg room and the chairs were much roomier than the stadium seats. The convenience of being right at the bar without having to go out into the concourse was wonderful! I honestly think being on club level is better than being on the floor where it’s much more crowded and chaotic.
One issue (and you can see in the photos as the seats are empty just before the show started). Doors didn’t open until 7 for an 8pm show and people were lined up around the arena. At 8pm when the show started, everyone hadn’t been seated yet. We were early, but I imagine finding seats in the dark when the show had already started wasn’t easy.
Parking was expensive ($40 at the gate - they did take cards), but well staffed with easy instruction. Even for the sold out show, things were orderly and went quickly as we were exiting.
Really a great overall experience. I would definitely see another show here.

Reminds me a lot of an older arena. Love that they honored the Pepsi Delivery Man. Thought ticket prices were high, especially for higher up. Seats higher up are also too small and crammed together. Your hips are jammed in and there is zero leg room. I guess if you are 5ft tall and only 100lbs, you'll be fine. Spent almost $100 on two loaded fries, a pretzel and 3 sodas.

Last game I went to was a Hartford Whalers game in Connecticut back in 1995, 29 years ago. The first ice was brown, the lighting was yellow, a lady got hit in the face with a puck and we my dad and I sat in the nose bleeds. Then the Whalers became the Canes… granted I am a Canadians fan but I am at this game to be with friends and share an experience.
Bright amazing lighting, glass ice, massive screens, clean bathrooms, polite staff at all stages. It was an amazing experience full of excitement and fun. Bought a Whalers hat just to remember the old days. And maybe a bit of Canes fan now. Looking forward to bringing my wife next time.
Appreciate all those who put forth the effort for all the fans.
Highly recommended.

I attended yesterday March 20th my first ever Carolina Hurricane NHL Hockey game making the very long drive from Charlotte. The arena is very nice very beautiful clean. The Internet WiFi speed was very fast. I seated in section 306 row M one last row before the last row and I had a great view all of the seats in the arena are very good and you could see everything without looking at the scoreboard. I parked in the premier parking lot which is located just a minute walked from the east arena entry. Getting into the parking lot was supper getting out took me 10 minutes which honestly it's not that long of a wait. The cost of confession is very smiler to attending NFL game. I paid $12 for popcorn not very big size but delicious not very salty nonetheless and a bottle of Mountain Dew. Finally from the parking lot attendance to security personally at the entry all the members of the staff were friendly and very polite. I will definitely back again for Hurricanes games at PNC arena.

We have been here for quite a few events. The latest, Machine Gun Kelly, rocked! Quick access to get into the parking lot, lots of law enforcement directing traffic, no extended traffic jams. Parking was expensive, $30! Safety & security was a 10 out of 10! Lot's of law enforcement, dogs, and metal detectors. Seating is great, good views on the club and lower levels, floor is obstructed by the pit. Food and drinks, well make sure you eat beforehand, EXPENSIVE, as with any venue. If you are drinking alcohol, holy cow, double shot bottom tier liqour.... around $30. Other than the prices for parking and food /drink, I love this venue!! SEE PICS, CLUB LEVEL. By the way club level seating has great vending service, little to no wait, no crowds like lower level, and much nicer bathrooms with no wait!!

We went to the Monster Jam show at PNC Arena. We all had a great time! Ages ranging from 4-60. Previous reviews mentioned the venue being too small for the trucks and although there is some truth to that I do not feel like it took away from the experience, especially for the kids. We had great seats ( 2nd row back and across from the tunnel. This allowed us to see the trucks come out of the tunnel plus close up view of the trucks). I don't think there was honestly a bad seat in the house though. You also can interactively vote on the performance of each truck. We also enjoyed the motorcycle stunts performed mid way through. Recommendations: pay for parking in advance through parkwhiz. You can often find promo codes online. Bring a thin jacket/sweatshirt. It did get drafty at certain points in the show. Bring earplugs or headphones especially for the kids. Overall this was a great experience and I'll definitely look for more shows in the future!

I love PNC for all kinds of events, but especially Canes games! Yes, food prices are high but that is to be expected- there’s tons of great places to eat in Raleigh before catching a concert or game. My biggest complaint is with parking prices. $40 is way too expensive, and even paying $25 in advance on ParkWhiz is pricey. Especially considering what a nightmare it can be to get out of the lots.

Beautiful arena! Great show!
The security guards are SO nice and so helpful, they walked us like half a mile to our Uber zone, some helped take great pictures, they’ll walk you to your seats and to the bathrooms if you need help, I seriously didn’t encounter a single person at this whole place who wasn’t amazing!
I hope to come back soon!
Only kicker -

Great place to see a hockey game!
I drive 9 hours at least once a year to see the Canes play and it is well worth it.
The arena is a little old but they make changes every year.

$40 for parking then have to walk almost a mile to get to the entrance. Should provide a shuttle service for that price. Be sure to eat before you get there. Food is outrageously priced. Seating is uncomfortable. It's tight and allows no leg room. You're basically right on top of one another. Other than that it was a pretty good experience. First hockey game. The Canes got their butts handed to them by the Tampa Lightning ⚡ Do better PNC arena.

Huge and beautiful place. It is an indoor arena so no worries about the weather for your events. There is ample parking. Sometimes you pay to park and sometimes you don't. It all depends on the event. I paid about $35 for parking for my event. Very clean place and restrooms. Big arena with lots of sitting area. There was ample security and lots of staff to assist you if you are lost. Thank you for reading.

Great views around the arena, and the fans were great, but the arena has no character. Where's the history of the team? Where are the displays, the info, the personality? Good food choices throughout though, overall a great place to watch a game. Stated to be the loudest arena in the league. It's loud, but the loudest? Check for yourself!

1st game of the 2024 playoffs!
The 'Canes won 3-1. 5/5
The beer cost $17 + $4 playoff cup. 3/5
The parking cost $45!!!!!!!! 1/5
It took 45 minutes to leave the parking lot after the game. 1/5. Worst experience I've ever had with a parking lot.
So... due to the supremely high costs and the awful parking experience... 3/5 overall.

Very clean. Masks required, which is great!! This is probably the best kids museum/activity center I've ever been to. My son is 2 and we could have easily spent 4 hours here. In two hours, we almost almost everything (but we were chasing our little guy all over).

What a wonderful museum for the kids and adults to explore together! So many activities and learning spaces! My grandchildren had the best time taking me to each and every space and playing while pretending and exploring! The favorites were the Medical van, Veterinary office, farm, helicopter, creative space, Toddler Hollow, Money, Camping, and Hockey!
Enjoy this time for ages 8 months (Baby space that is wonderful) and up. Make sure you have plenty of time. We missed a couple of areas because I didn't allot more time (3 hours) so I would say at least 4 hours if you have an active preschooler or older kiddo. We had a 1 year old and 4 year old and could have stayed another couple of hours. Fabulous eating area for snacks and an on site Café for those who want to grab a meal and coffee. We also don't do a movie which is an option that they would have loved. Can't say enough great things. Go here for a day and have fun!

This museum was really fun and my son enjoyed it. We got there at 1100 and it was packed already. I thought we’d only spend an hour but that quickly turned into three lol. There was so much to do that he was knocked out on the drive back home. He really enjoyed being able to color his own car and have it appear on the big screen. We will definitely come back.

We got tickets in advance for the 10:30/11 time slot. Got there a bit later but that wasn't a problem. Easy access with scanning the tickets.
The museum was very busy, but with it being the Wednesday before Thanksgiving it was expected.
My kids are 7 and 9. They enjoyed the downstairs a lot but they enjoyed the upstairs more. The downstairs area is for smaller children I'd say. The upstairs is definitely more for the older kids. It's a lot of fun and you can easily spend the whole day there.
There are plenty of hand sanitizing stations around the museum, there's an elevator, water fill up stations, a nursing station and plenty of bathrooms.
The only thing I wish they would have had was free parking. You can street park and pay or pay for parking in one of the lots. But it wasn't a deal breaker.
I definitely recommend this museum for children.
We did not visit the cafe, gift shop or IMAX.

Spent a delightful 3 hours here with 7 and 4 year olds. We explored nearly all of the exhibits and faced tears when we had to tell the kids it was time to go. Really clean, really fun and creative exhibits. The water table was probably the biggest hit for the 4yr old, followed by the room that lets kids color balloons and cars then projects them moving around on a giant city map. 7 yr old liked the balls in the “economy” exhibit. It was pretty crowded on a Friday but still totally enjoyable. Almost no wait- we got tickets online the evening before.

We went on a Monday, there was a decent amount of people there. So I would recommend going on a Monday. There are a lot of exhibits here. My 8 month old enjoyed the baby area, there were a lot of soft obstacles for him to climb on. He also liked the toddler area, he could crawl around and there were some stuffed animals and some things for him to crawl on. I strolled him around to the other exhibits, he was too little for most of it but he enjoyed watching the other kids and splashing in the water table. The cafe outside was not great. I got a water and my daughter got a smoothie but the staff at the cafe were very friendly and attentive. There weren’t any handicap doors, which made it a little difficult with a stroller. I think we will be back when he’s 2, I think he’ll enjoy it a lot more! I would say if your child is walking until about 7 years old is perfect for this museum.

Enough to do for the entire day. It can get chaotic on busy days so we go on off times. Love the outdoor and indoor sections. Kids love the sand. We enjoyed watch Polar Express on IMAX. We had no issues finding specking on the street.

Wonderful experience for younger kids. Place was clean with so many hands on activities! Lots of fun things to do from science experiments and water tables to learning about forestry, firefighters and carpentry. Reasonably priced but it fills up early. Go late morning or early afternoon to beat the field trips from multiple schools.

Great place to take children of all ages. I could have stayed there all day. The name is misleading if you are not a local. I expected to see how marbles were made and for there to be marbles everywhere games tournaments, make your own marbles..ext..
Over all this place was a hit I enjoyed dancing to the music, the water area, the outside garden, basketball, trampoline, omg they really out did it with the variety of things to do. I loved it! My grandsons ages 3,2,and 1 enjoyed it.

First time visiting. Lots of activities for young kids. My kids really enjoyed their time there. There is an area for toddlers as well as an area for infants. Must buy tickets online in advance. We opted for the 1 year basic membership. $150 covers admission for 1 year for 2 adults and all kids in the household. Opens at 10am but members can enter at 9am. There are two levels and two small outdoor areas. Parking can be an issue since it's downtown Raleigh. Street parking in the area is free on weekends and metered during the week. Kids will definitely enjoy.

I... LOVED IT. I had a lot of fun going with my friend and her grandkids. I had just as much fun as they did (if not more lol).
Definitely recommend! It's a place where kids and adults can have fun, and have learning take place (without realizing it!).
Definitely can't wait to go back again!

This is a great place to take the kids. We especially enjoyed the hurricanes hockey area. We also liked the IMAX animal kingdoms movie. I took a star off because I usually expect some kind of free parking. I parked on the street not knowing I would have to move my car after 2 hours and I circled the block several times trying to find a new spot (losing time to play in the museum). Finally I realized there was a parking deck that I will use in the future that is close by (ended up paying twice to park). Overall this is a wonderful place for kids to play and the workers seemed cordial as well.

Took a trip to Marble’s with our boys, and they had an absolute blast! They loved just about every single thing on both floors. The staff was friendly and helpful. The best part was the splash area, they had the most fun with that! Your ticket/sticker gets you all day come-and-go access to the museum. So we even enjoyed surrounding downtown Raleigh for lunch! Great place to spend the day with your kids. We would highly recommend!
The North Carolina Museum of History is a repository of information about the states past. It has a variety of exhibit spaces and hosts special events throughout the year.
For anyone that loves history as much as I do, you will definitely enjoy your time at Raleigh History Museum. It is free and not too hard to find parking close to the museum (especially on weekends when you don’t have to pay to park). The staff are friendly and willing to help with any questions. Even on a Saturday it was not too crowded, and walking through the history of North Carolina was so fun. It is a clean and educational place for both children and adults. There were so many exhibits to see and so much stuff to read that you can spend as much or as little time as you want here.

It is a very well maintained museum. The staff were very friendly, had a great time seeing all the exhibits from olden times maintained in the best way possible. And it's open to the public for free, but you can do your part by offering small donations. My favorites were a couple of exhibits with houses and rooms which were about 150 years old and also a few exhibits where they recreated models of scenes from the past, the one I have in my pics. This is a good place to learn and feel the history of North Carolina. Overall, time well spent at the museum.

I brought two teen boys who are into basketball, since this was one of the few museums they agreed to visit. The exhibits are geared more for Tarheels fans than general basketball aficionados, and it didn't take long to see everything, but it was still worth the drive. I particularly enjoyed seeing the letters Coach wrote to Michael Jordan about the ways he could improve over the summer. And the short shorts are classic. It helps that it's free, except for the parking.

One of the best museums I've been to in a long time. This museum contains an astounding number of amazing artifacts (including two full houses). Information and artifacts are organized beautifully and exhibits are designed to immerse you in the history. Parking was easy and admission was free!

Amazing place to take the family for a free outing. We didn’t have time to view everything, because we did the Natural History museum first. We really enjoyed it, from my 12yo on up to my adult kids.

This museum is awesome! You will learn the history of North Carolina but also that of the United States. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, another exhibit pops up. Very well done.

This museum is free, has restrooms, gift shops, and a cafe that is sometimes open. The parking lot near it charges cash and about $2 per hour. The museum is great, there is so much to see, there are about 4 floors and 2 buildings. It is fantastic for kids and adults. There are live animals and insects as well. There are also films in both buildings. The fun demonstrations and activities are usually done on weekends but a weekday is nice and calm if you don't like being around too many people. The museum has animals, plants, insects, rocks, wood, and dinosaurs. You will spend at least 2 hours here but could easily spend 4.

This museum has done a great job of documenting NC history in an interesting way. Today a gentlemen explained how native Americans made canoes before there were metal tools to use. The kids found it very interesting. We have visited before so revisited some of our favorite spots. The pirate display is always a favorite. We also enjoyed the sports hall. Highly reccomend for almost any age.

Fantastic museum. Well put together, good layout. If you appreciate history of anything, you'll enjoy this place. The cost is absolutely free, which was right up my alley. I was a little limited on time, so I had to make my way through kinda fast. I was not lucky the day I stopped because it was field trip day and there was kids running around screaming. Other than that I had a great time.

It’s Free! Which is something you don’t see often at least when we have traveled to so many states. I’d say this museum is better for older kids not little kids as it’s not as interactive. It opens 2 hrs before the other museum. The daily planet cafe down the street is delicious too. Quick few min walk.

We visited over spring break with our 7 and 11 year old and enjoyed it immensely. The exhibits are so interesting but require quite a bit of reading so our kids of course just sped through the whole place in a couple of hours. I could have stayed all day reading all the great exhibit info! The free admission is fantastic and we parked in the adjacent city lot for $2 an hour. We ate lunch at Gringo-A-Go-Go (short walk away with great Mexican food) and highly recommend visiting!

Cool free thing to do while in town. The lady at the help desk was helpful and gave a brochure explaining each level and also how to get tickets to a current special attraction they had going on. Took my dad and my son. There were interactive displays that caught both of their eyes. So much to learn: went on a Monday so it wasn’t a big crowd which I loved cause no rushed feeling. The sports area upstairs was pretty small with a few highlights that my son enjoyed. We all learned a lot which was the goal. On street parking was available close by.

Last week, while the mother-in-law was here comma we decided to go to a few museums.
One of them what's the North Carolina Museum of history. This was my first time here as well.
We went on a Saturday. We couldn't find parking directly at the Museum but a few blocks away we found some underground parking that was free.
It was a nice little walk to the museum. It allowed us to sightsee and find other points of interest we would visit afterwards.
The museum itself was very fascinating. Not being a native to North Carolina I learned a lot about its history. It started from the indigenous people, traveled through slavery, civil wars, the evolution of industries like rail, farming and later tobacco. Race division and spotlights on specific individuals to the state.
There was quite a bit of artifacts from eating utensils tools, guns, uniforms and even toys.
We only had the chance to look through one part of the museum's exhibits. Hunger took over and we went for lunch. The second floor had some other exhibits that I would love to visit.
For anyone who loves to learn about history I would highly recommend the journey through their exhibits.

Very thorough and detailed state museum. Interactive, there a videos and elements of certain exhibits that you can touch. One of the most interesting areas talks about the raids and the attacks in Wilmington. There is also talk and a state of Thomas Day who I believe is extremely important to NC history. Well planned and executed. I look forward to visiting again soon with friends and family. Lots to learn here and easy to navigate.

So much to see and learn! I couldn't see it all with the time I had. My favorite exhibitions were the piracy in NC and the Industrialization timeline. This is a great place to take the kids.
The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is the largest museum of its kind in the southeast and dedicated to natural sciences. It features a collection of 1.7 million specimens from every animal species and is spread across three campuses.
A large, poignant, nicely arranged collection of NC natural history from prehistoric time to now and beyond. So much to read and see and great interactive screens in Building 2 (don't miss going!) The building is really nice and well-planned. Nice customer service. Clean bathrooms. Great for all ages. Free and handicap-accessible. Free parking. In a great area close to other attractions.

This place has definitely improved over the years! It's definitely worth your time going. It's free to enter and the paid events are not expensive at all. The best part is, you could spend all day there and still not see everything! I especially love their dinosaur exhibit. My only complaint is I wish the dinosaur exhibit was larger and more interactive for $10 a person. But I was surprised that they move!

Outstanding museum that continues to thrive and innovate. Currently under construction which is a testament to their constant growth. Big dinosaur stuff on the way! So informative and interactive. The exhibits truly come to life. The museum is free however certain exhibits are ticketed. Membership is less than $100 for families! You can’t beat that. A beautiful place to learn and grow. I highly recommend and look forward to coming back, I’ve been visiting this museum since I was a kid! I admire the progress and look forward to more knowledge and creativity. Stop by when you can!

What a great museum North Carolina had! I could spent a whole day here just looking how amazing they created the space. It’s spacious, detailed, and neat, and clean. The museum also has special exhibitions to interact with the visitors. With the amount of what they provide, it’s amazing that they don’t charge visitors to enter the museum. It’s a great place to learn and bring kiddos to explore.
They have a cafe if you want to rest a bit and enjoy a cup of coffee while waiting for the kids to explore 😃

This is a free museum that is open to people of all ages. I was so impressed by their collections. It’s a 4-story museum with a breezeway that connects to research labs that are currently in operation. They have interactive exhibits that are so fun for the kids and adults alike. Watch for special exhibits that they are rotating through. Be sure to keep an eye out for some unique finds that are native to North Carolina and even more rare finds that exist only in this museum. The staff is very friendly and helpful!

Loved it. This place was massive and free. Two buildings, one was four floors and the other was three floors it took us about 5 hrs to go though the whole building and see everything. The bug exhibit was amazing especially with the terrariums of live bugs. Sadly the butterfly room was closed but we did see the sloth that was in their and got to watch him eat. They also had live feedings during the week. They also have a nice little Cafe next to the butterfly house on the fourth floor so you can watch the butterflies while eating.

Amazing Place! I took my family here for the first time and had quite the adventure. There are countless things to see and do and I only wish I could've done more. They have almost everything you can imagine in a museum. From the Paleontology Lab to the Living Conservatory, From the Biodiversity Lab to the 3D Cinema, this place has it all. Whether you're taking your kids there to learn something new or just looking for a little bit of nostalgia. No matter the reason, this place certainly has what every adult and child needs.

This museum is in downtown Raleigh and offers a nice variety of things to view and learn about. It is free to get in. The museum also has movies and special exhibits that require payment. Some of the areas close sooner than others. However, whether young or old, this place has something to educate anyone of any age. It is two buildings with multiple floors. There is a parking deck close by to park in, and it's just a short walk to the entrance.

We took our kids here while on vacation in North Carolina. They had such a great time looking at the dinosaur models. I was very impressed that such a neat place was free to visit. You can tell that all of the models were very expensive and well made. My favorite part was learning about space and all of the space rocks they have on display. They also have a really pretty butterfly botanical garden that is also home to a sloth. Sadly this area was closed to visitors being able to go inside. Overall a 5/5 experience, perfect for learning! I can't wait to go back when the kids are a little older and can really appreciate what it has to offer.

Little disappointed that alot of the interactive labs and displays weren't working on the nature side. We originally went here 5 years ago and now again in 2023. As an adult nothing has changed much. Kids enjoyed it as they were to young to remember our first visit. If you do want to do labs do them first as they close at 3.

What an amazing place!! Lots of natural science exhibits from reptiles to dinosaurs with great staff available to answer questions and help with the hands-on displays. Something for all ages from toddlers to adults and there is no cost to get in to see the exhibits. There are some things like movies and such that do have a charge, but with everything to see on multiple levels, we didn't have a need to see any of that. Every time I come to North Carolina, I am more impressed with the states commitment to quality of life for the residents here, and this free museum is a great example.

Great museum! We spent about an hour there but could have spent the whole day. Lots of exhibits to check out, and lots to learn. There were lots of families walking around and enjoying the experience! They have some dinosaurs, spiders, bugs, geology, history, etc. very well laid out among the 4 floors with a cafe on the fourth floor. There is also a Sloth that you may be lucky enough to see like we did!

Located in the heart of downtown Raleigh, this museum is an excellent choice for a weekend getaway or a weekday excursion with kids. It boasts an impressive collection of live insects on the top floor, other floors included snakes such as copperheads, cottonmouths, rat snakes, and other snakes commonly found in North Carolina. The dinosaur exhibits were a big hit with the children.
We also decided to explore the spider exhibit, but I wouldn't recommend it. There are far more captivating displays and a 3D film to enjoy elsewhere.
What's even better is that there's no admission fee, and the place wasn't crowded during our visit. I wholeheartedly recommend this museum for families, kids, or anyone with a passion for spending quality time exploring.
Parking is available in public areas, and even on a weekend, we found ample street parking.

We go to this museum all the time! We have never been during Bugfest. It was absolutely amazing!! One of the ladies that work there told us it’s the biggest event of the year. They offer several insects for you to see and touch, they also have lots of vendor set ups outside, you’ll get to see people dressed up in costumes, face painting, and just a lot of education on the several different kinds of insects . My kids loved it. We had so much fun and look forward to going next year.

the museum is rich in exhibits 3 or 4 floors, for all ages. About 2 hr walk through. You are your own tour guide. Best part is its no cost at all. You'll learn a bit of history on wildlife and science. The dinosaur exhibit was pretty cool. I was to scared to get in there with the butterflies though, it would be a nice experience if you aren't squirmish like me. Quite fascinating. Something fun to do if you're already in the area. I wouldn't suggest traveling more that 2 hours to get here. I don't like that there's certain life wildlife displayed in cases that aren't the appropriate length requirements for them to thrive in. I hope they are taken out at night or something, but don't believe they are. But overall all great experience.

Fun and educational place with lots of great exhibits. It was surprise for us knowing the museum is absolutely free to the public. Clean and very well maintained place. The North Carolina Museum of Art is a world-renowned art museum located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The museum attracts more than two million visitors annually and houses a permanent collection spanning 5,000 years. The museum also features traveling exhibits and an outdoor monument park and amphitheater.
What a nice community resource! The grounds are lovely. This is both an indoor and outdoor experience. The West Building has the permanent collection, and it's very decent with a few big names (Raphael, Monet, Rodin). Loved that everything is free. Lots of outdoor space designated for events and short walks/hikes.

Gorgeous place! We usually go there to walk outside and there is lots of space to spread out from other people. What I especially love is that the grass is all natural (not an urban desert like many people’s lawns) and they have wild flowers planted throughout the area. Not only the wild environment looks absolutely stunning but it also supports bees and other insects. If you look closely, the grass has wild clover mixed in which is a native flower and feeds rabbits and other wildlife plus it’s drought resistant and stays green all summer long. It doesn’t grow long so you don’t have to mow as often if at all. We need more (or all) lawns to be natural to support our wildlife. Plus it’s healthier for people too.
Another great thing - the NC Museum of Art is dog-friendly! There is a creek in the woods so dogs can quench their thirst there if you forgot water. I recommend all people who are travelling and need a place to stop and stretch their legs and give a break to their dogs/kids to stop at this place! Take advantage of this beautiful place and don’t forget to take pictures!
Love this place! Breathe fresh air not pesticides!

Beautiful museum. We came for the Dutch Art exhibit- it was spectacular. I generally prefer 1-2 hours at the museum, here I was happy to stay for several hours to take it all in and I’d happily return. Our local family purchased memberships which seem really worth it. Cafe was decent- great cappuccino, sandwiches were not bad, salad had great dressing. The outdoor grounds are beautiful and lots of fun for kids and adults!

This place is free all throughout the week The common ground is the free access. there are paid parts of the museum there are paid exhibits. But there is enough there to view for 3 hours of free fun and that's not including outside or reading all of the notes we came in about 12:00 and still left as they were closing. We had a great time. There are also two different buildings that have different exhibits in them. Will definitely be back soon. My favorite part was probably the cigarette machine or the old Roman statues. The cigarette machine has several different artists concept of art. It can arrange from pictures to portraits to sculptures. Definitely read signs around the exhibits some say don't touch some even say do not enter PLEASE READ THE SIGNS AS WE DEFINITELY MADE SOME MISTAKES AS WE WALKED AROUND THE MUSEUM FOR OUR FIRST TIME.

The entire experience at this museum was exceptional!
Outdoor areas are great, very peaceful and lots of sculptures. There is a lot of walking involved, so wear comfortable shoes.
There are multiple nature trails as well as the outdoor exhibits, they are very relaxing and you can rent a bike. We also had lunch at the cafe and would recommend.
The indoor exhibits are simply amazing! There is something for everyone, from Renaissance portraits to the ancient Egyptian collection to the Roman mosaic to the modern art. There is so much to look at and I would have spent a whole week there wandering around. There is also an interactive area that is fun for little and big kids, and even adults.
Everything about this museum is great, and I would definitely recommend this for any art lover.

This is a fabulous walking area. Dog and bike friendly too. There are benches and vistas aplenty.
A gorgeous combination of meadow, shady woodlands, pond, hills, and resting spots with large scale sculptures and native floral. There is a lovely bee garden with hives and plenty of healthy activity.
A must if you are in the area. Open dawn to dusk, plenty of parking. Over 5 miles of trails, I didn't even cover half.
The general art museum is free as well, but I didn't have enough time for that.

Absolutely beautiful museum with stunning outdoor spaces. Saw a family having a picnic and people strolling (and biking) around. I was fortunate enough to see Ruth E Carters exhibit and it was so captivating to see her career accomplishments laid out with thorough background information. The amount of research she does for her costume design is above & beyond. I ran out of time to finish seeing the exhibits in the second building, so I'll have to return!

We had a great time at this museum! We went with a school group with the Expedition School. The focus was on art made by women and on art made of recycled and found objects. The NC Art Museum offered a excellent docent who taught us about many of the works on display. Our teacher had worked with the museum in advance to create a scavenger hunt for the kids to find the art that will fit into their future science, ELA and Art projects. I’ve been to this museum many times before on my own, but I really appreciated how they handled having a slew of middle school kids trying to navigate their assignment. Excellent space and we loved the art!!

This place is free? I just don't understand how this huge place is free for all to enjoy. Amazing grounds, fun sculptures, interactive art, nature beautifully maintained, extensive walking trails... I could go on about the unique gem that this place is, but instead I say go see for yourself.
All the amenities too, free parking, access to a cafe, bicycle rental, great places to relax and take a break.
The only thing that it might be worth knowing before going is if you mainly want to stay indoors call before you go, on our particular visit the west building was closed and the east building has a large number of exhibits getting redone, so if you plan was not to be outside and walking around talking it all in you may not have enjoyed it as much as there would be limited things to see.

We went to see one exhibit and quickly realized we should have allowed more time to see the rest of the museum. Loved Afrofuturism. We also had tickets to the outdoor concert featuring Samara Joy. Rain was predicted for the day and hours before the concert was to start I got an email that arrangements were made to change the venue indoors. Brilliant! Bravo to the museum and staff for making this happen.

A multifaceted place with both indoor and outdoor options. It was just a tad cold for us, so we did not explore the trails (but would very much like to.) It definitely seemed like a regular destination for local folks to visit for outdoor walks with families and with their dogs!
Inside it has both the formal/historical, and the more current/local, types of exhibits —in the west and east buildings, respectively.
The range of the formal presentations is impressive (I.e., African, European, American, Egyptian). Also, their use of unified/simplified large digital touchscreen displays is both very attractive (less clutter) and very effective. They have even used technology to make ordering food at the restaurant/cafeteria easy, right from your seat. Pretty cool.
Being slightly out of town makes them easy to get to and easy to park, all for free.
If you like museums at all, this is an easy choice to be sure to include in your visit to Raleigh.

This museum is amazing. We didn't realize how big it was, and came after 12 pm on a Saturday and only had time for the West building. We came back on Sunday and spent the whole day doing the East building and outdoors. You can easily spend days here. There's so much to look at, and the paths outside are great, mostly all paved, and extensive.
The bathrooms are clean, and each building has a free locker area to lock up your jackets/bags while you're walking around.

Absolutely stunning. I was impressed, both by the exhibitions and the park. You'll need a full day if you really want to delve into the collections. The staff is extremely friendly and the lighting is most of the time ideal, which really stimulates our contemplation of the pieces of art on display. Plus we were warmly welcomed, we really appreciated the passion that the staff showed.

Visited during my first time in Raleigh and I was blown away by the quality and the quantity
of art on display. While the more contemporary artists were my favorites (especially Kehinde Wiley's Judith and Holofernes), there are also ancient and classical works as well. That includes a few Monet paintings, a Botticelli, and others.
Rain prevented us from checking out the sculpture garden, but I'd love to go back and see it on a future visit. The café and gift shop were nice as well. The best part is that admission is free!

A museum that hits WAY above its weight. 🎨 10/10 worth going, not least because it's 🆓! (Donation suggested) Great variety of art. It has a surprising amount of antiquities too. It's a beautiful place to take a stroll around the museum grounds.
The Streets at Southpoint is a chic and modern mall featuring well-known retailers, high-end department stores, restaurants, and a cinema. With an extensive collection of indoor and outdoor stores, this shopping destination offers ample opportunities to shop or relax in the open air. Despite being fairly crowded with families on weekends, most visitors are seen wearing masks to comply with safety measures. The mall's exterior is well-maintained and provides plenty of outdoor seating for people-watching or dining.
First time visiting here. I must say this is an incredible Mall. Well maintained so much to see. I loved the outside area. Best mall I've been to in a long time.

My favorite mall. I drive from Pinehurst to shop here. Excellent variety of restaurants. A great feature of this particular mall is that inside offers all the top stores, and on a nice day it's relaxing to be able to shop the outdoor stores!

Great mall. Love that there’s an outdoor element with great stores and sit down restaurants & movie theater outside. Mall is always clean (including the restrooms). Parking lot is patrolled and well maintained. As far as malls goes this one is a 5-star

I recently visited Streets at Southpoint and was thoroughly impressed with the shopping center. The mall is well-designed, with a wide range of stores and restaurants to suit every taste and budget. The parking lot is spacious and easy to navigate, with plenty of spots available even during peak hours.
I particularly enjoyed the variety of shops at Streets at Southpoint. There were high-end luxury brands as well as more affordable options, so there really is something for everyone. I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the mall - everything was spotless, and there were plenty of staff members on hand to keep things tidy.
The food options at Streets at Southpoint are also excellent. There are numerous restaurants to choose from, ranging from fast food to sit-down dining. I tried a few different places during my visit and was happy with all of them.
Overall, I highly recommend Streets at Southpoint to anyone in the area looking for a great shopping and dining experience. The mall is clean, well-designed, and offers something for everyone

This mall is fairly big, many stores inside and some outside which are located just outside of the doors. The mall was kind of crowded but most were wearing masks, don’t let the news stop you from stopping here the atmosphere was just fine. Mostly families on a Sat. Night.

Beautiful mall. one of the more nicer looking ones. A really nice atmosphere. Better than Triangle and Crabtree mall

A really nice mall! I really enjoy the atmosphere here and the way that it’s setup. It’s really neat they have the regular interior mall part with 2 floors, and then the exterior part. Plenty of stores to chose from!

Best mall in the area. The parking situation is atrocious, though. When there are a lot of cars, it's super hard to navigate. Someone hit my car here.
Other than that, I do enjoy the outside part of this mall. Lots of benches to enjoy the nice weather.
I'll always come back here. Just salty my car got hit 😄

I've been coming here 2-3x a week for the last 18 months and it's infuriating to see how this mall closes at 7pm during the week still as a holdover from COVID.
People are all over the mall at 7pm and being kicked out. The food court starts closing at 6:30 to make it even worse.
How are working people supposed to enjoy the mall when it's always closing as soon as they get off? Even the stores I ask don't understand why this place still closes early as until 2020 it was open late nightly.
This mall can do better!!

Went to this movie theatre in this mall recently. The theatre was fairly clean and comfy. The cashier was decent with customer service and servicing nice and hot popcorn. The line wasn't too long for service or ticket purchase. I recommend parking by the Cheesecake factory and walking to the theatre.

Well kept mall and has major retailers hard to get to in other directions (e.g, JCP). Stylish indoors and I believe there is an upcoming city investment to reinvigorate (though you wouldn't necessarily think it was needed based on how the interior looked to be honest).

Great mall and maintained very well, lot of good restaurants. Play area for kids. Plenty of free parking and Wi-Fi.
Your wife can easily spend here whole day :)

The food was wonderful. I had a seagood enchilada with rice and beans it was wonderful. I loved the atmosphere. The staff was wonderful. They have a great children's menu. If I loved closer, I would become a regular.

Very nice and clean mall not too congested. The food court is kinda dark that was a draw back for me I didn't feel comfortable in a dark setting I need to see what is on my plate. Most of the stores were nice even though not many good sales were going on. I saw some young kids hanging out but security advised them to leave without a parent present that was different to see. Overall it was a good experience
Frankies Fun Park is a family-friendly amusement park with go-karts, mini golf, batting cages and more. The park is perfect for all ages and features an indoor Johnny Rockets restaurant. There is ample parking and the attractions are fun and exciting.
Frankie's is AWESOME! The atmosphere will definitely turn you into a kid again. So many games inside and rides outside. My favorite is Putt-Putt. However, I was unable to play b/c I wasn't dressed for the cold weather and it is an outside game. I had alot of fun while there. I will definitely be returning.

We had a very nice time. The kids played games inside. Some wore mask and some didn't, which is fine. The miniature golf course was very nice. Nobody rushed us since we were a little larger group. I just wished they had people on the floor inside disinfecting the games that had high traffic. So many people playing right after each other and touching everything, they didn't have any one trying to disinfect. We are still watching this pandemic go up and down. We just can't let our guard down. We don't want to go on lockdown again.

First time visiting this establishment. I had a good time. Went with some colleagues and played alot of group games. Which is great because there's always something to do. Definitely give them a visit and come with your family. Just know you'll be spending a pretty penny...just like anywhere else, lol

Place was nice and we had fun and enjoyed spending a couple of hours there but sadly most of the rides we wanted to go on was closed. It was also very expensive. There was 5 of us and spent almost $300 just to play almost everything that was open/on. $5 for a quick 1min game is totally not worth it.
Sheena MB — Google review
The mini golf here is great. However while we were there, 3 separate groups just walked across our hole to get to the exit. Not sure if they were just rude or if there is a layout issue.
The amount of arcade games is pretty small especially for a place that is constantly packed. I took my 4 year olds here, and I would hesitate to bring them again because of how crowded the arcade area gets and people not paying attention to smaller kids.
I would do the mini golf again though.
Stefanie Menardy — Google review
Excellent and challenging putt putt course! Greens are in excellent condition! I would take off 1/2 star for them not blowing the greens with a leaf blower. You will be putting on top of leaves and flower blooms on several holes!

The outside stuff is better than the inside stuff. I prefer to spend my money on rides because you ride longer for the money. They need more parking spaces. I rode around 10 times to get a park.
Vanessa Mc — Google review
Kids always have a blast here. It’s clean and ride operators are cool and seem to be paying attention to safety. Indoor arcade with VR options, batting cages, terrifying and less terrifying outdoor rides, mini golf, and go karts. Be ware, you buy a card and have to reload. Unfortunately the rides and attractions don’t list how much each costs so you can stand in line, get to the front, only to be told you don’t have enough on your card and have to go reload. Would be better if the attraction sign said how many $ or points it costs so you can keep track. Otherwise , always a fun time.
Autumn Paine — Google review
Plan to arrive early - lines build up through the day. The parking lot is not built for the size of this location so if not arriving at open, plan to allot extra time for finding a spot. Kiosks all around to add funds for attractions. We went on a busy day over Spring break and several rides were closed because they weren't staffed. They did open later in the day once more staff were present. Also the lines for the food grill were LONG - they had two spots open and it moved SLOWLY. The seating options however are fabulous, with some indoor and some shaded but access to the outside breezes.

Had a great time with the family. It was crowded but it was still fun. The go carts were the best!! The games inside are fun and over stimulating 🤣 laser tag was a hit! The food and drinks are super expensive though! Fun time!
Natalia Giancola — Google review
Frankie's is fun for all, but get ready to cough up a lot of $$$! Especially with the arcades, money evaporates pretty quickly! But overall it's a good environment and lots of activities of kids of all ages! The downside was that many of the activities were closed. Also go early because it gets really crowded an hour or two into the day!

Brought my Grandson to Frankie’s because it was where we went last year and he wanted to go back. It’s a nice arcade with Go Carts, Laser Tag and Putt putt. Kinda expensive to play games like 2.00 each but then again I was used to paying.25 back in the day. Fun atmosphere and grandson left happy.

It was fun i liked the mini golf course it had a really nice decoration. The food was great I like everything about it except for one thing when i has waiting in the line for the go-carts the smell that the kids and adult were giving off was awful.. it not just in the waiting lines but inside to i get it, it was hot that day..(DONT WANT TO BE MEAN OR DISRESPECTFUL) BUT... Just put some deodorant on when going it shouldn't be to hard.

This facility is VERY clean and well kept up. The mini golf courses are really fun. There is a good variety of activities.
The Italian sandwich in the restaurant was one of the best I've ever had. Overall, our party was very impressed with the food given our presumptions.
Keep up the good work!

Overall, fun and great experiences doing all of the activities, but oh my god! Clean those bathrooms. Staff was just walking around looking at the papers on the floor, I get that this is the dirty people that comes to this place with zero education or awareness of others, but the place should do something about this. It was gross to even walk by the bathrooms 🤢

There is so much to do here for the kids ages 3+ to adults. It's a well-kept and clean park! We visited on a weekday in February 2024, and there's weren't many people, so we didn't have any lines at all. One downside, though, was that there weren't enough employees to man the rides, so we had yo wait for them. It can get pretty pricey!!

We had a lot of fun! A little pricey, but worth it! Next time it's a sunny day we'd like to try mini golf here! It was raining last time we went or we would have gone that day too! My 3 year old had a lot of fun! We especially like the racing games and physical ball games!

Took my daughter for her birthday and had so much fun. This is an AWESOME place for family fun and enjoyment. Many types of indoor and outdoor games, bumper cards, go carts, and so many more. Any child, and even adults can enjoy something. My only issue and recommendation is that they sanitize the machines, especially the virtual games and goggles after so many people are putting them on. While we are still recovering from Covid and at risk of it. Will definitely go back, and recommend to others.

I was visiting from NYC and had a very good time; the food & kind service was greatly appreciated.
Home of the Class A Carolina Mudcats, with luxury suites, a restaurant & 300-ft. video scoreboard.
I absolutely love the Mudcats & 5 county stadium. It's always clean & has a great atmosphere. I've been bringing my family here for years, even as adults, my kids like to come here as a family. Just recently, I brought my service dog for his 1st game! He loved Muddy, but not the little one 😁😁😁 If you live here or you're just here for a visit. I highly recommend coming to this ballpark for a really good time. If it's a night game, there will be fireworks & good music! If it's your birthday, they will put it up on the screen if you tell them. & there's always fun activities for the kids to participate in! Go & make some memories.

Over priced tickets and food. Unsafe food: I found a dead beetle in my white paper bag below the bag of peanuts. Rude fans: someone knocked over my 95% full peanuts leaving me with about 40%. Unsafe: no one checked my bag upon entry or confirmed if I even had a ticket. Waste of money: overpriced food with bug and no need for ticket to watch the game in person. Although the county is under a mask mandate no one, volunteer, employee, fan, wore a mask. Forced paid parking. I could continue…

Mini Muddy, one of their mascots was precious and brought so many smiles to young and old. The stadium was well organized and well kept. They made good arrangements for the handicap. I am in a wheelchair and was accommodated with seating with my party. We all enjoyed everything--the game, the food, the accommodations, the whole family experience.

This is a great ballpark. Lots of different food options beyond the typical ballpark fare of hotdogs and peanuts.
There are several craft beer stands and places offering craft cocktails.
Large team store with a variety of merchandise including game-used jerseys and equipment.
The ballpark has a kids' play area and a pair of active and friendly mascots.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great ballpark for a Low A minor league team. Seems to be in the middle of nowhere, but very convenient to get to. Typical concession selection. Killing me with the $9.00 draft beer though!!

This is a wonderful home for the Carolina Mudcats! Small, hometown atmosphere. Concourse is easy to navigate and seating is arranged where every seat is a good one. Great place for the family to catch a ball game!

Hadn't been to a Mudcats game in years. Unfortunately they lost but it was a fast-paced game and high-scoring on the other side. Stadium was only half filled. Fireworks were fun. The food was average and expensive but what isn't these days. Wish they had wine for those of us who don't drink beer.
Terri Moore — Google review
Always a great day spent at the ballpark! Seats are reasonably priced- call the office to buy them, they are less than using the web based ticket sales site. Military gets a discount too.
Ball Park food- there are plenty of $5.00 each options. Yes it costs more than McDonald's- but for 15.00 you can get a water(refill it at the water fountains), hotdog, and a Pretzel OR nachos and cheese.
Remember your sunscreen and hat!

Went to our first Mudcats game. Getting there was easy. We came from Louisburg so it was a quick trip down 39. Parking was 7 bux. Not awful. Getting in was easy. The parking lot is right there so you don't have to walk a mile to get in. Place is in good repair. Concourse is wide. It got a little crowded at times but not horrible. There's really not a bad seat in the house. We were in section 213. Great view. We did get some tacos. They were ok. Maybe a little pricey. Next time we'll do a little tailgating before going in. Save some money on food. The level of play was good. Mudcats won. Fireworks after the game were ok. Getting out of the parking lot after the game was rough. That was the worst part. Took forever to get out to 39. All in all though, it was a great time for a little bit of cash. We'll totally be going back.

Fan experience was great. Was on the party deck located on the left field side. It was my 2 daughters first baseball game and they had a great time. They managed to get a game ball and have it signed by the left field outfielder and the mascots Muddy and Mini Muddy.
Absolutely amazing experience, food, ice cream. We got some muscadine juice and blistered peanuts also! Can’t say enough about the friendly business and amazing hospitality! If you are looking to camp we stayed down the road at Tar River Life Campsites and had the best weekend!

This was my first visit. The wife and I stopped in to see what they had. They had peanuts and cider and other food related items. Theres an ice cream place attached to the shop. Nothing is in season right now, we just wanted to check the place out. Prices on must things were higher than at other farm stands in the area. The wife found a Keychain she liked. The folks working there were nice. I'll make a return trip later in the year for some fresh produce and see what prices are like.

Fresh meat, produce, jams, and jellies!

There is even a coffee and ice cream shop on site that is delicious!
However, my wife and I went for the U-Pick flowers. There is a whole field of wildflowers from June-August that you can go pick yourself for a reasonable fee.
We had a great all around experience at Vollmer and will definitely be returning!
