My kid and I had a blast. Loved getting to pet a reindeer and ride on a train on a full train track. My son enjoyed meeting and talking to the conductor. We sat with the reindeer for a good 30 minutes and Wes just chilled by us <3

The kids had a blast on our Thursday ride! The ride was an hour long which is perfect for younger riders. The gift shop is fairly priced and is a fun way to bring home a small keepsake for memories.

This was supposed to be a family trip. My son is home for HBL from the Army. This was supposed to be a nice surprise for us all. Paid for the overpriced tickets and was looking forward to it! Got an email, AN EMAIL! NOT A PHONE CALL, AN EMAIL. Stating that our tickets had been canceled and refunded. No explanation as to why. When I contacted the company, their one employee denied that the tickets could be refunded because they had not refunded any tickets. I sent them the EXACT same email I got from them! I haven't heard back from them at all. Seriously?! This how they run their business? Not even a phone call or response to my message. Anyone who asks me about them? I will tell to NOT waste their time or money

The family had a great time on the Polar Express! The entertainment was funny and the staff kept us occupied the entire time. The hot chocolate was very good and so was the cookie. Santa was there on the train as well. We went for first class tickets so you can sit around a table with your family. I would recommend first class because of that. In coach you sit facing one direction so I imagine it’s more difficult to interact with your family and maybe see your kids’ reactions to what’s going on. Would definitely recommend doing this at least once. I hope we can do this every year!

Train ride was lots of with singing. The Reindeer farm was awesome. Hot chocolate sitting by the fire. Had fun!

We enjoyed the Midland Railway Maple Leaf ride. The sounds and smells of the open air ride was perfect. We did not see any Maple Trees, but the other trees were turning yellow. Thanks for a cool morning ride in the countryside and trees.

The Polar Express was fun for everyone of all ages. Train ride to the North Pole with hot chocolate and a cookie, narrated book and a visit from Santa who gives everyone a bell.

We took our kids (nieces, nephews and my daughters) on the Polar Express train ride in December. I will never forget that experience! It was so much fun and everything was perfect!! We live 10min north of the MO river and our drive was about 45min. It was quick and the only issue we had was the kids needing a bathroom break as soon as we got close. :) I'm happy you offered the preferred parking passes and I ABSOLUTELY recommend that if you can because you walk a couple feet to the tent to board the trains. It's fast and saves from any inconvenience beforehand. I can't imagine there is any... but it was so nice to be that close regardless. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful memory I will never forget. I know our kids won't!

The experience was amazing, we did the murder mystery and dinner. The service was very good and great interaction from the server's and staff. The food was good, but I was expecting outstanding food to go along with the rest of the evening. I do plan to go again.
Very helpful and nice ownership... enjoyed our wine tasting relaxed atmosphere. Good wines at a reasonable cost.

Delicious oven fired pizza, wide variety of wines, excellent knowledgeable owners and staff and a beautiful country setting makes this a great place to relax and spend time with loved ones/friends. Cute gift shop. Perry Lake reservoir just down the road makes for a nice ride back home.

Beautiful place, the wines are delicious, price is definitely reasonable. Staff is friendly and helpful, the pizza and cheese/meat platters are fabulous! Highly recommend!

We went last summer for a date night. Probably a 40 minute drive for us but I wanted to try it since they advertised on Facebook. Pizza was pretty good but the way we were treated made us feel strange, definitely a locals only vibe that we got. Almost like the people working there and other regulars were wondering why we were there at their spot.

The staff is so friendly and fun!
The patio and grass seating area is lovely.
The indoor seating area looks nice, but the weather is good, so we sat outside.
We'll absolutely be back.

It was so nice. The people were so nice and friendly. The wine was good. They even sat outside and visited with me for quite awhile

We absolutely love this winery. The owners are so friendly and they have some great wine!! We love to go on their Friday date nights where you get a pizza, bottle of wine, and 2 slices of cheesecake for a very reasonable price! We always end up taking home another bottle of wine or two. Sitting out on their outside seating enjoying the beautiful Kansas views makes for a Wonderful time.

Wine in Kansas! Who'da thunk. And it's good! Cozy little place and great, friendly, helpful owners.

If you are looking for a nice girls night out, this place definitely fits the need nicely. I went out last Saturday night with two of my girlfriends and we had a wonderful evening. The patio area is comfortable, you can bein the shade or sun depending on your mood. The wood fired Mediterranean pizza was delicious and the wine was superb. I would advise buying it by the bottle as they can recork it for you if you need to take leftovers home, but who am I kidding, leftover wine? Ha! The new owners are great and I can’t wait to visit them for many years.

This museum is definitely worth your time for a nostalgic trip to the past. From the beautiful and historic Christmas tree displays to all of the artifacts from the wars and time gone past. This museum is a real gem.

The lecompton museum was wonderful. The reenacting of the rich history of Kansas was very informative. Bill McFarland showed us many historical figures that shaped the outcomes of Kansas families in the early formation of the territory.

Played for seniors yesterday from home upstairs in the chapel for Christmas this year. (Vespars program this Sunday 12/3/23) Such a beautiful venue. Tree expo from that era till now. Was territorial capital of Kansas. Must see. Free. Downtown Cafe round the corner also great.
Jim Faelske — Google review
We stumbled across this jewel while visiting Lawrence. Worth the trip. It filled in a bunch of history I either didn't know or forgot. We got lucky and met a museum volunteer who opened up the "closed today" museum and gave us a personal tour (love me a small town museum). Even if you don't get to the museum there are lots of street level signs and explanations about why they say slavery started to die in Lecompton.
Tom Simpson — Google review
My wife and I visited here for the annual Christmas tree displays. We will be returning. 150 Christmas trees with lights and ornaments from a large number of different times. Just an incredible number of displays. The nostalgia was incredibly moving for me.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Entry is by donation so very affordable for young or elderly families wanting some fun without a ton of money. Space is tight and there was a good number of people so be prepared to take some time and be patient. The building was built in the early 20th century and with all the exhibits it can be hard to move around at times with all the people there.
Todd White — Google review
Thoroughly enjoyed the Museum & Constitution Hall. Lots of history about "Bleeding Kansas" Very friendly staff & hosts!

Really not much to see for the distance you have to travel. They were having a street fair with a few vendors. The church had a scrumptious chicken dinner. There is a cafe there.

Small and quaint .
Aunt Netters Cafe have Great Cinamon Rolls !
Recollections Antiques was not too small and not too big . We bought a few things and were "tempted" on many more .
Constitution Hall was open and the guide was very informative , concise, and willing to answer questions .
Wow , Lecompton Does have a Lot of history for its size !!

Everything you hope for when you stumble into a small town. Cool history, nice people willing to tell you about the town history, and a great little lunch spot with pies. What a fun way to kill a couple hours!
A must visit for American History junkies. It was here that pro-slavery forces drafted the first Constitution for the State. If it had passed and been approved by the people of Kansas, then it would have been admitted as a Slave State. Thankfully that did not happen. Some might say the American Civil War actually began in this sleepy river town.
Kevin Baumann — Google review
One of the best tours I've ever had. The period-costumed docent gave an inspiring 15 minute chat about the events that happened in Lecompton and its effect on the 1860 election and the history of the United States. The first floor has some well-designed displays.
Bryce Caster — Google review
Interesting place. The care taker was very knowledgeable. Lots of history.

Went to a flea market outside of constitution hall. It's a nice place inside.
Kellena Smith — Google review
The building is amazing....especially when you consider how old it is. The information, pictures and history displayed are amazing. It is 1/2 block from the downtown. We ate lunch after touring Constitution Hall. The gentleman working was a wealth of knowledge. The merchants were super nice and lunch at the Cafe was incredible.
Get the pie!
So is the time to drive to LeCompton worth absolutely.

Very informative! Excellent Tor guide! Original wooden frame building amazingly escaped destruction through the years.
Clinton State Park offers a variety of outdoor recreational activities such as playgrounds, disc golf, boating, swimming, and camping. Visitors can also explore the native flora and fauna by hiking on nature trails. The environment is clean and peaceful with ample space for RVs or tents. While there may be some minor issues with bathrooms and showers, they are still satisfactory. Additionally, the park features a well-maintained marina with friendly staff members who cater to visitors' needs.
One of my favorite lakes. Great trails, camping area is well maintained with plenty of lots with power. Marina is also really nice and the people are very friendly. Easy get away for a weekend and close enough to town if you forget something.
Nicole Merrow — Google review
I was there right before their official season started on April 1st. There were not a lot of people there. And it was exquisitely quiet. Well maintained the staff was nice and very helpful. The bathrooms were clean and the park well maintained. I will definitely come back.
The only problem I had was there was no water at my site which was Prime and had water & power capability. But due to the faucets not being frost free the water was off. Both at the sites and at the dump station. There was water in the rest rooms and showers but I desperately needed to fill my RV potable water tank and was not able to. I also did not find any reference on website or posted in the park about the water. So if it's important to you ask before you go.
Cecily Brown — Google review
Would have given it 5 starts except for the fact we experienced a contractor spraying glyphosate along the campsite edges the last time we camped there. Extremely disappointed in this. We thought camping was a safe getaway from city life. Other than this, it's great. We stay in the Walnut campground in Bloomington East. During the week it's a great, quiet campground, full of deer, beautiful birds and other wildlife. It's quite a bit louder on the weekends, but still a great place to camp.
Shannon Thomas — Google review
Clean and quiet. We had our class C 31 ft in 509. Plenty of room. There was a large mud puddle on one side, but it didn't really impact our fun.
The bathrooms and showers were pretty decent. I have seen cleaner ones, but not too bad.
We will go back sometime this summer.
Wayne Ruley — Google review
Not impressed with the office or it’s staff. The office is dirty and a mess. Their reservation system is a joke. We were told (November) that there were no reservations needed and to park anywhere we chose. We parked, set up, and went to the office to pay. Then we were told that we were in a reserved spot and had to move by the same person who told us there were no reserved spots. The campground is is big with nice spots but dirty. Trash left by other campers, dog feces everywhere. No one patrols the campground. Very disappointed. We have camped in many state parks and this has been the worst.
Diane Segerstrom — Google review
Great, spacious campgrounds off of the lake. Plenty of great stuff to do with or without the lake.
These sites are much more spacious than the ones on the other side of the lake by the corps of engineers, but those are pullthroughs and I think they have some paid laundry machines as well.
Tristan Rethman — Google review
Primitive campgrounds are well kept however, the place is crowded due to the lake. The bathrooms are absolutely terrible. For the price of the campground, you ALSO have to pay 5 dollars a day (to enter)...kind of stupid, but I was hoping for the money this place would have upkept and decent bathrooms. Especially for a statepark. Nope. One of the bathrooms is bolted up, the other is left open, its filthy, and the entire campground has to go to that one. My point is, dont bring toddlers or little kids where you may need to use the restroom facilities.

Nice place to bike around. A few big hills. Great place for boating, fishing, kayaking, and hiking. Lots of acreage. The beach stairs are crazy (100+) to get to the small beach.
A G (Annarosa) — Google review
Went tent camping, and our site was nice. I recommend Campground 3 over Campground 1. Campground 1 had a lot of sketchy campers and vans with junk all around their site that look like long term stays. It's unfortunate because C1 primitive sites had more privacy and foliage than C3. Also if it's not super busy, try and find a spot in-person instead of online, because the quality of the picnic tables varied greatly, and you can scope out the area to find a spot in an area you're comfortable with. Beach area wasn't groomed at all, swim at your own risk (to your feet).
Peter Spexarth — Google review
They are adding sewer hook-ups to many sites! You just have to be careful picking your site,if you back-up to the lake the wind coming across it can be bad!!!
Doug Pritchard — Google review
My husband and I have been staying out here for several month and we just love it. The camp host are very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to help you. Clean bathrooms and warm showers.
Angela Halligan — Google review
Don't go here the place is a dump, the ladies that work the phone told us the wrong information twice. We were told that we could camp in the spot. That we picked that was marked by numbers but, then a park ranger came and screamed at all of us,he told us that we couldn't camp this because thier used to be a toilet thier. There was no signs saying we couldn't camp there and the camp host said we could. The showers are all broke, half of them have no locks. The bathrooms are all graffiti up, rust all over the bathroom doors. Mariana is over priced, it was 14 dollars for sum weights and some hooks. I'm never coming back, don't come here, it's a dump full of outdated bathrooms and showers houses .
Adrian Madrid — Google review
This is a huge park. Bring something to ride. We checked in after hours on our own after scouting what was available. The pads are huge and your closest neighbor is about 30 feet away. The campground was so sparsely populated that our closest neighbors were 100 feet away. The park is very clean and we'll kept. We took a walk and the whole thing is pretty flat. The dump stations are on the way out. The pads we stayed at had water and electricity. The bathrooms were clean and large. I wish we had more time to explore the park. We didn't even see the lake. I would go back and stay a few days.

We recently took our granddaughters here for a week and they had so much fun. The RV Sites are clean, spaced well apart and level. Restrooms are clean and playground was fun for the kids. We love Bloomington East the best.
Sandy Eckley — Google review
We had a wonderful time at Clinton Lake. The weather was great and our friends agreed it was a fun weekend. The only negative was the trash bag ripped open when we were trying to finish up the cleaning. We didn't have another bag so we had to leave the trash in the plastic trash container under the sink in the kitchen.
Pam Crawford — Google review
Great park. Showers were hot and clean. Park was well maintained. It wasn't loud or raucous at night. Everyone was friendly. Good dump station which is easily accessed! Would definitely recommend this place. Most of the park shuts down after November. One or two shower houses stay open though.

Wonderful state park. I’ve been coming here for years to camp and it always is a place to make great new memories as it offer hiking and biking trails and nice lake and full hookup campsites

Needs to be updated. Stairway down to the lake was terrifying! Rails weren't connected and the stairs were falling apart. Other than being out dated it's a beautiful lake and surrounding area.

Nice clean park, excellent hook ups, but the signage needs addressed.
We camped in Prairie Clover Campgroud and arrived approximately 15 mins after the main office closed, so we had to find the camp host and that proved difficult.
The signage was terrible.
The scenery was beautiful and the campground was perfectly spaced.
Campground just needs better signage.
We would camp there again if we are out this way.

Nice state park with camping close to Lawrence, KS. The state park has an archery range, disc golf and beach.
Jo Povall — Google review
This is a great park! Our site was in the sun which we needed for Star link, but there are many other sites in the trees. Some have full hookups, some just water so pay attention when you make your reservation. Bathrooms were clean, sun sets were beautiful, deer visit the field in the center of Prairie Clover campground at dawn and dusk, there are owls that swoop around in the trees. The fireflies were AMAZING and plentiful-they looked like twinkle lights at Christmas! We stayed here to be "close" to Topeka and Kansas City while we adventured in both cities. We'd definitely stay here again-even just for the deer and fireflies!

Great place to go fishing with my husband! And going on walks to enjoy nature, the veil of the lake at sunset is breathtaking~
There's a reason this course is ranked #1 in the state of Kansas. A challenging course, but also very ENJOYABLE. Major kudos to the staff, very friendly, and after a week of heavy rain the course was still in great shape. Even though I lost a ton of golf balls on the back 9, I loved the way the holes were designed. I found it was best to stop worrying about my score and instead take in all the sights and sounds the course had to offer.
Tyler Layton — Google review
We played here on 04/13/2024 and were extremely disappointed. In the past, ride alongs were accepted when walking on. It was brought to our attention that this is not the case on weekends any longer and after severe back and forth our Ride Alongs were granted with a $40 upcharge. Nowhere is this stated on their website. Also the course was not in great shape at all and did not justify the $135 green fee. Multiple fairways were gouged by what appeared to be the guidearm from the mowers, tee box's were bare dirt in various prime spots, multiple sections approaching the green were flooded and the bunkers were concrete solid which guaranteed a gouge on your wedge if you hit into them. This will be my first and last time playing at this course which is a huge shame after reading the rave reviews from the past!

They definitely need a field marshal out there
got stuck behind a foursome for over an hour, they wouldn't let me play through. I just left after the 10th hole..

Fun round and unique track. It can play more difficult than the rating and slope leads on with the winds on exposed holes, but fairways are wide and conditions are phenomenal. Great experience from start to finish!
Brandon McElhiney — Google review
One of if not the best courses I've played within an hour of KC. However, the experience was destroyed by the pace of play. 4 groups backed up on a single Par 5. Took 5 and a half hours to play 18 with no break at the turn. Waited 10-15 minutes to tee off on every single hole. And this was on a Thursday -- couldn't imagine playing on a weekend. Multiple groups behind us just gave up and drove back to the clubhouse. Course quality was great but I certainly won't be going back.
Nick Arthur — Google review
Great course! Several par 3's that were tough on us but a really fun course to play!!
Kristy Koch — Google review
We played there on 8/19/23 was very disappointed. Tee boxes are trashed. No cart service. It was 107 degrees and the back 9 had zero water on the course everything was empty. When you pay almost 150 dollars to play golf you expect more from a golf course than this. Needless to say I won’t be coming back and spending my money there.
Doug Hay — Google review
We golfed it recently and had a fantastic experience! Great staff that were all incredibly helpful and helped us enjoy the round. The course was in great shape as well. Greens are flawless. I will be coming back for sure.
Doug Carlson — Google review
The course did not meet expectations. Front desk and bar staff were very nice and welcoming although the course was over rated. The prices for the actual golf was outrageous. For 100 dollars on a Friday in September after Labor Day Weekend, the course is full of water, dead spots all over the tees, fairways, and greens, and water coolers do not have cups on a 90 plus degree day. Holes 1-7 were in great shape. Holes 8-18 were in very rough shape and quite disappointed.
Austin Cedro — Google review
Great layout! Simple things could improve course; pins in same spot both days, no beverage cart, water but no drinking cups (hot out), mowed and grass clumps all over fairways, some fairways on rough shape, very slow greens. Could be a top notch destination. Casino needs updating.
Louis Olsen — Google review
What a great experience! We called a day before and Caden was able to get us a tee time for the following day. We arrived a bit early and got sent out right away, had the course to ourselves. The carts where prepared and brought to us, bags where loaded and off we went. We grabbed a few beers before heading out and where served by the lovely Emma. The course was in excellent shape. The staff and atmosphere make this a fantastic day. Thank you!
Entertainment complex featuring modern hotel rooms, a casino, multiple restaurants & golf.
Attended a conference at this facility. No gambling, hotel, or restaurants. It was on a Saturday night so I expected it to be busy, but not as busy as it was. This made parking difficult, certainly for my large truck. I was successful, but there was many drivers going up and down looking for a spot. Inside, the facility is quite nice. The staff was outstanding. Friendly and helpful. Microphone was easily heard, technology for computer display available . Lighting well done. We had performers with plenty of room. The food served at dinner was very good. Steak, nicely cooked, and salmon. Not much for fish, but the steak was very good. Potatoes and vegetables with a tasty dessert. I would definitely recommend.
gary duggan — Google review
Went simply to gamble, did not stay at the hotel, and had no other business in the area.
On that basis, I gave the location three stars as it is out of the way.
We hadn’t been there in a number of years so we had to get new cards. The people working there were very friendly. Those were the only casino employees we interacted with.
The casino was very clean and had a nice selection of penny slots. We only play penny slots so I don't know about the selection of other denomination slots.
The wife and I decided that if we come for the holiday lights at the Topeka Zoo, this casino would be on the list of possible places to stay.
I did look at the prices and found them reasonable for the average room. The higher end rooms are out of our budget.
We looked at the menus of the grill and the steak place. Definitely some things we would eat.
Not sure when, but we will be coming back.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Prairie Band Casino, and I must say, I was genuinely impressed by the experience. As a first-time visitor, the casino's exterior gave off an air of grandeur, and stepping inside confirmed that impression.
The casino's interior is not only expansive but also remarkably well-kept and visually appealing. The cleanliness of the space was immediately noticeable and added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. During my visit, I couldn't help but notice the massive bingo room in action – a lively addition that adds a unique touch to the casino's offerings.
For someone who primarily enjoys slot machines, Prairie Band Casino didn't disappoint. The array of slot machine choices was quite impressive, with a notable selection of machines that aren't commonly found in the Kansas City area casinos. This variety added a distinct flavor to the gaming experience.
However, what truly stood out for me was the fact that the casino's buffet was still operational. On the evening I visited, it was seafood night, and while the options were somewhat more limited than expected, the quality of the food was exceptional. The dishes were fresh, devoid of any telltale signs of being left out, and the desserts were nothing short of phenomenal.
Equally deserving of praise was the service. Our server was not only attentive but also incredibly friendly and accommodating. Their presence certainly enhanced the overall enjoyment of our dining experience.
In the end, my visit to Prairie Band Casino was a rewarding one – not only did I have an enjoyable time, but I also walked away with a modest win. I'm eagerly looking forward to returning in the future, as the casino's combination of a well-maintained environment, diverse slot machine selection, delectable dining, and excellent service left a positive impression on me.

I had the privilege of getting a room for two nights in the Garden Tower. I was very impressed! The room was immaculate! The entire hotel was clean and well kept! My girlfriend and I had a fantastic experience! All the staff that I spoke to were extremely helpful and accommodating! I literally have nothing to complain about if I wanted to. I love all of the effort to help the local population and fund education, community, etc! I have been here a couple times in the past, but this is the first time I stayed at the hotel!
I will be coming back when the outdoor pool opens!
What a great experience! Thank you so much for everyone's hard work and attention to detail. This was a much needed mini vacation and it was perfect!

This is a wonderful place. Excellent and modern facility. We had room 1060. Nice king bedroom over looking a gorgeous pool and fountain. Bathroom had a garden tub and shower was very nice. Staff everywhere was very social and talking with them felt like family members. Buffet was very nice. We are currently waiting for the Gary Allen concert to start. The event center is spacious and every seat is a good seat. Drink buckets and popcorn during event was VERY reasonably priced. This casino runs many promotionals and giveaways. Haven't taken many pictures yet but will update post with those. Highly recommend if you are in the area. We flew from Seattle doing family visits in the area and so glad this was a stop we put on our itinerary.

Stayed here Christmas eve. Room was very nice and the tub in the room was to die for! Hot tubs were very nice! One has a waterfall above one side (tropical feel). They don't close at 10 like most hotels... stays open till 2am for adults over 21! Loved it here! Casino was nice and clean and not overly crowded.

It was quite a drive to get there, but well worth it to spend time with my daughter. The room was a nice size and the bathroom was awesome. The bathroom had a big beautiful Jacuzzi tub. My husband and I had so much fun over the weekend. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. This was our first time visiting Prairie Band Casino. The machines actually PAY!! We'll be saving up, to come and stay again. The rooms were nice, and the buffet was really good. It was a shock to see machines that were clean! The two casinos we go to in KC have nasty, dirty machines.
Can't wait to come back!!

Stayed there with negative temps. There is so much glass in that place through the corridors on the hotel side that it is really cold going through or exiting your room. Air felt tight and suctioned in the room. The filter to air unit was thick with dust and installed backwards. However service desk and maintenance took care of the issue promptly! It is a beautiful hotel and resort. The hot tub was absolutely amazing. I do enjoy staying there and the staff is always friendly.
Only real negative - I don’t think my sheets were changed prior. There was no fitted sheet. I pretty much always bring my own sheets anyways and blankets. I’ve stayed there multiple times and I absolutely enjoy it especially looking at the courtyard. Though it is closed when there’s inclement weather, it’s beautiful

Wife and I are veteran gamblers and of all the casinos we have ever been to this is the worst. The payouts are terrible and we spent several hours trying the slots. Even walking around you rarely saw anyone winning money. The hotel was fairly nice other than our shower head was broken. Two of the restaurants were closed so dining was limited. Bottom line is do not use this casino if you like playing a lot of slots. There are plenty others that pay out better.
After talking with other people while there it appears that free rooms are given away all the time. The way they are paying for this is to fleece the slot players. Beware! I am not just disgruntled with this lack of payout and posting a bad review. I know from experience that this casino is notoriously bad for paying out any money.

This little hidden gem is one of my favorite casinos! The rooms are spacious and the shower tub combo are the best I have been in for a casino! The indoor pool is set at a great temperature and the outside hot tubs are perfect! Great food, gaming and points! Chris the operation manager took the time to get us to the pool, super nice and helpful!

I took my mother out for her birthday there
The casino was small compared to the ones in Oklahoma. The slots were below avg on payouts. In 3 hours of trying different slots, we had 2 payout. The majority didn't even pay enough back to let you play for a while on the money you were putting in. Tried the buffet. 25 dollars per person. Poor selection and the food wasn't good. Save your money and eat before you go. If you want steak Roadhouse is about 1/3 the price of their steak house. If you want to go to golden coral. It's cheaper per person and they have better selection and quality. Needless to say, we will never go back.

It is 3am and I'm sitting in my car right now because my room was so disgusting. The AC barely worked, the floor was so sticky that it made that tacky noise as I walked into the room. There was a woman's hair tie on the curtains to hold them shut I'm guessing. I tossed and turned from midnight until now when I decided that out in the parking lot with the drunks was a better option. I brought these issues up when I got here and I was basically told since I was a Veteran and was getting a discount for the room that those rooms were where they put the best available room rate guests. So if you get a discount, expect a substandard stay. He offered to upgrade my room, but at my expense. You would think that when you book 2 nights and a spa treatment that you would receive a more respectable offer. I grew up around casinos, and hotels. I've stayed in countless places over my years and have never been stonewalled like this by a casino before. Not to mention the walk to and from the car was ridiculous. Now I'm a veteran. I have stayed in some eyebrow raising places and was more comfortable. That's my review.

Older room that could use updating after they built the new addition. Do not like that you make reservations for a certain type of room, and it's on the first come, first served policy. It should be whomever makes the reservation at the time there is that room open. That's who should get the one they ask for. I mean, that's how most lodging facilities operate.
Can't say that I have ever been "lucky" on any slot machine at this casino. Have never hit more than a $20 amount on any slots. I would choose to spend my hard earned money at a place that pays out better and more often. The food here has always been top-notch, although it is high for the amount of portions one receives. We will return as we have family in the area and need lodging accommodations.

Hotel rooms are horrible. Head board is all scratched. Lamp base is scratched up. The space where the refrigerator is kept is way to big and wood is broken, therefore the refrigerator almost falls on the floor when you open the door. There are no reachable electric outlets near the beds, rather they are on the wall behind the mattress. Not worth the money! Will never come back.

We came down to celebrate our nieces birthday with our uncle. He has been coming here for years. He enjoys the casino; it’s huge. We enjoyed the hot tubs, indoor pool, and the small game room they had. Our suite was amazing, but the smoke smell in the hallway was overwhelming. It was coming into our room through the door cracks. It would have been ok if we were smokers. The steak house was decent so was the buffet. The staff was amazing! We will not return to this location again due to being accused of taking the robes. I understand some folks don’t know not to take them, but I travel a lot so I know not to take them. That was upsetting. I’m not a thief and I don’t like being accused of being one. Especially when there weren’t many people who looked like me there. I don’t carry myself like that and never will.

The facility was much smaller than I thought. The casino was small, but clean. The employees were friendly. I stayed in the hotel and my room was very clean and the room was spacious. I got the room with the large tub and it was deep and long. Room to stretch your legs out.
Overall a nice place about 30 min north of Topeka.

Had a very good experience and won almost $600 on slot play. Fair amount of table game options but was never approached to order a drink while I was playing blackjack. Restrooms were extremely clean - impressive. All around a great casino and my regular spot!

We had a great time at your facility! However, when we tried the buffet, it was somewhat disappointing
Both of our prime ribs were raw and the chocolate cream pie was bitter.
We did however thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The 2.5 hour drive was well worth it
The Kansas State Capitol Visitor Center offers tours of the state capitol building's chambers, library, and murals. The dome also provides stunning views. The entire building feels like a museum with classical art and impressive craftsmanship in the woodworking and stone work. Visitors can experience the history of politics as they stand in rooms where political figures once debated. Overall, the center is a must-see for anyone interested in history and architecture.
The tour was packed with lots of history and interesting facts. There's a library with a glass floor. The entire capitol feels like a museum filled with murals and classical art. The chambers were in session and it felt as if the old days were back alive with the political figures debating in rooms that are filled with a glorious past.

Have been to a number of state and provincial capitol buildings and this is one of our favorites. The 15 year renovation resulted in an exceptional building and the interior murals, stained glass, sculptures and the dome with all the marble, bronze and copper were all top notch. Speaking of the dome, do the tour with the guide to see the inner and outer dome as well a seeing the view of the city from the top - afraid of heights or physical limitations will make it virtually impossible to climb the 296 steps of the tour. A must do if in town!

This is one of the nicest state capital buildings I have ever been in. Murals on the wall Tell a beautiful story of how Kansas came to be. The interior is spectacular. You can also take a tour up the steps to the dome and look out over the city and surrounding area. There are 292 steps. We did not have time to do that, but if I never back in the area I would definitely schedule time.

Amazing Tour! We headed to a lot of different areas and who knew this place had 9 stories? It's also amazingly beautiful, I mean it's not everyday that you see 24 karat gold painted walls. It also was, in my opinion, an interesting adventure! And is also an amazing experience that will last!
I also got to see the dome and it's so cool up there especially inside the dome (before you get to the top part) and it's obvious that there is a lot of history in this building. I also wish to show pictures of the place and I wish they would alow me to show more then 50 Pictures as, I have an absolutely astonishing amount of photos and I would love to add them!

Great historical place to celebrate the very diverse and storied past of this very underrated state. The tour was free, informative, and very very cool. The parking is accessible from 8th street, and is located beneath the statehouse, underground. There are two tours, one being a historical tour, the other a dome tour. The dome tour is exactly what it sounds like. There are several spots where you can stop and not continue all the way to the outside part at the top. There is a level up by the inner dome where you can see the inner areas of the top, but if you continue upwards you will be pretty high up on a very sturdy staircase that looks down through a hole in the center of the inner dome. You will see all the way straight down to the first level of the statehouse. It is quite a view! If you are not squeamish about heights, by all means climb the stairs to the outdoor part where you can see the surrounding area of downtown Topeka. If you don't want to do a ton of climbing, stick to the historical tour. You will get to see both chambers of government, many works of art, and the stories behind them. There will be some climbing of stairs, unless the historical cage style elevator is running. You will also get to see the library with the glass floor. We visited with some of our New Jersey family and they were astounded at how far reaching our history is. Between the architecture, the art, and the history, this was such a great tour. 👍

As I was wandering the beautiful halls of our State Capital I met a man from Ohio. He shared that our Capital building was a regular "tourist" attraction for promoting Kansas. He told me I should be proud of our Capital to which I replied, "Sir, I absolutely am!" Upon entering the building I received a warm and friendly welcome by the gentlemen manning the entrance of the Visitors Center. To the left is the desk of the Guided Tour staff and the very nice Gift Shop. I went to my Governor Kelly's office but alas - she wasn't in house that day. From there I wandered, taking pictures as I went.. the art work in our Capital building is exceptional. The moulding and woodwork is kept and cared for as are the Native Stone pillars, granite and marble flooring.. The Kansas State Capital Building is indeed a testament to our Heritage and Strength..to our History. A favorable destination to take out of towners!!

Beautiful, rich history across each level of the building. It's stunning inside and out. They offer guided historical tours and If you want to go all the way up the dome, you'll need to tread several steps. Anyone who can't go up the stairs by themselves is prohibited.

If you find yourself downtown and need something to do, I'd highly recommend a tour of the capitol dome. It's 296 stairs with 3 rests along the way. If you are afraid of heights, this isn't for you. In the summer it is very muggy until you can get to the top and step into the fresh air. It's free to enter and tours run multiple times a day.

The Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site is a museum operated by the National Parks department, which played a significant role in ending racial segregation in educational facilities through a 1954 court case. The museum offers high-quality exhibits using diverse media types such as educational boards, documentary videos, historical footage and audio. It also includes difficult historical content that provides visitors with a profound experience. Additionally, they offer stamps for National Parks passports on a self-service table with an ink pad available for use.
Very well worth a visit. I was able to ask a lot of questions of a well-informed docent. It's free and you could spend an hour here if you look at every display.

Upon entering, I quickly realized that this museum does not mince words nor sugar-coat the history of segregation and racism in public schools in the U.S. The museum is housed in an old school building with many of the rooms intact and well-preserved. The 5-video series in the auditorium are worth a watch if you have 30 minutes to spare.

Wonderful stop … All the park rangers were so friendly and helpful. Park ranger, Preston, was greeting outside and was incredibly helpful and informative! Really appreciated his overview and ability to answer questions helping to share this period of history, connect dots to different events in history and creating greater curiosity to go home and learn more. So insightful and appreciated.
This stop is excellent to review a critical time in history …. There are about 5 rooms to walk through with short films, some interactive learning boards, a classroom set up from the time, a little gift shop, models of segregated schools, etc. Solid learning for kids and adults. So glad we stopped …. Spent 2.5 hours …
Thanks so much!

Best rangers out of all the national parks and landmarks we have been to. Hands down a great place for some hands on learning partnered with great visual tellings and representations of history! Thank you to our ranger for making our little guy a Jr ranger and speaking about the fights in the past and in the future with him among all four of the big fights. It was cool to see and hear and such discussion needs to be fostered

This was a super cool stop on a long trip we took for vacation. We just stopped for a break from riding in the car to stretch our legs and wasn't expecting it to be as great as it was. It was educational and interesting and didn't cost a thing. It's a great place to take your kids to teach them about history and loving others. We all wished we had a little more time to spend there. The park ranger that greeted us as the door was very kind and attentive, and we were able to add a stamp to our National Parks passport. Unbelievable...I turned into an 8 year old the entire 2 house there. Brought back wonderful memories. As a second grader two of my friends bought me the EK action motorcycle jumper. This was a good experience. It wasn't to expensive and it had a lot of memorabilia. It had his motorcycles and his truck that have been refurbished. It started when he was a child and went through his death. It is all cataloged and talks about what he did and there was even videos of his jumps and wrecks. I liked how it really focused on him and not the rest of his family. It had some things from my childhood as in toys and even a Wheaties box. :-) It was also a beautiful buliding that it was in.

The Evel Knievel Museum Topeka, Kansas:
When growing up Evel Knievel was my hero, an unstoppable Superman that never gave up and never backed down from a challenge. Every time he had an event on TV I was glued to it, wondering if he would make it or crash in some spectacular fashion.
What I didn't know about this amazing man was how wonderfully clever a self promoter he was! Going through the museum you travel through his life all the way from his troubled and wild childhood to his sad and unfortunate death at a much to young age for a superhero. He passed away in 2007 at the age of 69.
Evel Knievel is in the Guinness Book of World Records for breaking the most bones....., 433!!!
Also on display was "Big Red", the truck that was used to move all his equipment and ramps. It was found rotting away in Florida for 30 years and brought back to it's former glory after an 18 month and $300,000 dollar restoration. This was a custom made, one of a kind truck built by Mack Trucks.
The two story display is the largest collection of Evel Knievel memorabilia in the world. It's housed in a Harley Davidson store that also has a nice display of bikes through the ages.

The staff is great and the gift shop has really great stuff. It's in a Harley Building so you can also go look at their badass collection of old bikes and even Harley snow mobile in the basement. The museum has a fun virtual reality stunt jump and we loved it.

4 of us were in Topeka for the weekend. Thought we'd take in the museum. We weren't expecting much. But WOW, were we surprised. This is a treasure, explaining, describing, anything and everything about Evels' life and times. The building was astounding. I think it'll be a huge loss to Topeka as the plans are to move the museum to Las Vegas.....

I loved the artifacts and the informative displays. The curators/restoration team seemed to pat themselves on the back in some of the descriptions of the items. It's in the basement of a Harley shop, and it exits at the Harley showroom. If you're a Harley guy you may be into that, but not I.

Cool to see so much of Evel's history in one place. The restorations were all done really well, and the displays for his most historical stunts provided more details that were so interesting to see. It was definitely worth the trip from the KC area.
Made me wish that I still had my Evel Knievel BMX bike, but I doubt that it would be considered "museum quality" by a long shot.

Evil or Evel?
Either way the museum of Robert "Evel" Knievel is amazing. What a story of this man's whole life: from a kid jumping over grass fires on a bicycle to the world famous Snake River Canyon jump. This museum tells the tale of this American icon. Interactive screens, static displays, movies and more.
Hurry before this Topeka legend moves to Las Vegas.

Spent about 1.5hrs to read through everything and also did the 2 min simulator ride. A really well curated museum to showcase Evel Knievel’s career from child to retirement. Really great short plaques throughout with videos showcasing the jump. Loved that they summarized whether the stunt was a success or resulted in an injury. However, would of loved to see a dedicated section for his son, after learning that his son followed footsteps for 40 years.

If you were born before 1970 or just a fan of pop culture, this is a good visit. The two guides were very friendly and helpful and the museum is filled with so much information and memorabilia. Topeka Zoo & Conservation Center houses a variety of animals such as lions, bears, alligators and bugs. In addition to the animal exhibits, educational programming and special events are also offered here. The zoo is currently under construction which has affected the number of animals on display. However, visitors can still enjoy their time exploring the park which is well-maintained by friendly staff. A unique feature of this zoo is its dinosaur exhibit that adds an extra element of excitement for visitors.
Great experience at the Topeka Zoo, line was really long but they worked fast to get everyone through. Glad they had Dino Days on Spring break this week, kids really enjoyed the Dino Don animatronics! We also enjoyed the indoor rain forest was pretty neat with the waterfall. Good amount of Animals we’re not out and about. Giraffe are being updated is nice and Orangoutangs were definitely enjoyable and fun to watch. We rounded the Zoo 1.5 hours. Not a large Zoo like Kansas City. Tons of parking right out front. Goat food was out 1/2 through the day, not to many goats to feed and understandably they don’t like to over feed them. Looks like they are adding on to the Zoo seem to have a nice big area of ground under construction.😃

Zoo was decent, I have been to 3 zoos in Kansas now. This ranks number 2 to rolling hills zoo to me. Parking gets pretty crazy. Zoo said 300 animals online. The Topeka Zoo is a fantastic place.
I can measure decades with how long my family has been going here. Fantastic photo opportunities as well as a true joy to just walk around. They have all kinds of special events quite often. Such as the Zoo Lights yearly, as well as walking with the dinosaurs display.
This zoo is not gigantic! So it is pretty fantastic for families with smaller children.
It has been remarkable getting to know about the animals as well as learning more and more about conservation and animal care. Oftentimes, they have zoo keepers with small displays to show you all kinds of various things such as pollinators or pelts of animals.
Over the years they have had many babies born! Tigers, giraffes, orangutans, swans, even the Golden Lion Tamarin!
We really love the rainforest building, every time we play, "find the sloths!"
The playground area is fun for the kids. In the summer they usually have a shaved ice truck there in the zoo. They do have a food area too! Great souvenir shop.
The zoo continues to add more and more amazing things to check out and learn about. Constantly looking for all the cool things they have.
My family loves this Zoo!
Also, right across the street, the playground is fantastic, they have a mini train that runs in the warm months, and there is a carousel not too far away.

Due to construction it appeared like Half the animals weren’t out. The first half of the trip I felt like I payed to see empty cages but as I kept walking I found things more worth the money spent and eventually appreciated stopping there. The tiger I don’t think liked me as you can tell he got up in my face and kept looking at me like a snack

I grew up going to the Topeka Zoo. I was so excited to go but frankly I was very disappointed in the condition of the zoo. I know they have a lot of construction going on and hopefully some great things coming but for now, where are all the animals? The rainforest seems to have maybe 1/2 of the exhibits that it used to. I only found 3 reptiles in the entire park! There was a time when they had an entire section dedicated to reptiles and now they have some goats and a Llama. 😥 Don't get me wrong goats are cool but not the reason I would go to a zoo. This was probably the last time I will ever visit the Topeka Zoo.😥

Visited the zoo today with my daughter and my mom. We've never been there. And I have to say I'm very disappointed in it. Half of the enclosures were empty. And the animals that were there looked miserable! The enclosures were so small. The giraffe inside literally paced back and forth. The tiger paced along side of the fence. The elephant rocked back and forth. I'm very disappointed. It's spring. Clean the place up! Clean the enclosures!! I'm glad I didn't pay full price.

Great little zoo with some awesome events. The new giraffe exhibit is nice, and the Japanese garden is a MUST SEE. The staff are wonderful and informative. It is a very affordable way to spend a morning or afternoon in Topeka. And right across the street is a great park with a Choo Choo train! I also would be remiss if I fail to mention the great events put on by the hundreds of staff and volunteers, such as Brew at the Zoo, the Holiday Lights, and the special private events that can be held there. The Japanese Garden is a beautiful location where you can host your event.

During our particular visit, we found that several of the "crowd drawing" animals were not viewable - though there could be many reasons (including animal welfare) for that. Overall, the animals appear to be well cared for and, generally, in appropriate enclosures. Oddly, the highlight of our visit was the Japanese Garden. While it feels a bit random, it was beautiful, well cultivated and peaceful. I would have appreciated it if the Zoo had labeled the various plants and included a written explanation of the design and artistic intent of the garden itself. Those small steps would have significantly enhanced the educational value of the garden.
I'm a big believer in the importance of conservation, and I appreciate the role a quality zoo can play in that process. So, my review is not a critique (or endorsement) of that end of the conversation. Purely from a "visitor experience" perspective, the Topeka Zoo was -- okay.

This isn't a very big zoo but it is nice to visit. My daughter and I had a particularly magical experience with the female orangutan and her baby. I liked the greenery around the zoo, especially in the Rain Forest. The "bug zoo" room was a great spot too. It seemed like a noticeable number of animals weren't on display. There's a lot of work being done which I'm sure it the reason for most of that. I can't to see it when it's all done.

About 40% of the exhibits seem to have no animals. We were there on a weekday in February.

Always enjoy time with the kids, walking around enjoying the animals, and the new additions. This Zoo is small but growing quickly.
Gage Park is a renowned recreational area that offers various amenities such as a pool, gardens, outdoor concerts and carousel perfect for picnics. It boasts of remarkable architectural designs that showcase unique building concepts. The park's landscape is breathtakingly beautiful and captivating during spring when tulips and hyacinths bloom, filling the air with their sweet fragrance. However, the rose garden is not accessible all year round while the fountains are inactive.
Not from Topeka but thoroughly enjoyed our walk in the park. Wide and well-maintained cement paths, large mature shade trees and so many things to do and see such as the gardens, carousel, zoo, train, playground/picnic areas, zoo and so much more. Well done!!!

It was chilly and windy the day we visited. Tulips and hyacinths were blooming and smelled lovely. Found a hydrangea bush that had dried flowers that I found pretty. Obviously the rose garden was out of season and the fountains were not running. There still was a little ice over the area that has fish.

Loved coming back here. One of my favorite parks in Topeka. Wish I could've gone to the zoo the following day with my Son's family, but was not able to join them. Took some pics while at the park. Very interesting architecture in this place. Love looking at other peoples ideas in buildings. And of course the landscape is nice here as well. Can't wait for Spring! :0

A gorgeous little Park tucked away in downtown. Certainly a location that is all ages. Besides the glory of the park itself there is a carousel, a playground, a lake, a train ride, and water fixtures throughout this location. A wonderful location and space for various outdoor activities.

One of my favorite Parks in town! So well kept and big enough to go for walks in different areas to change up the scenery.

It's quite large park with lots of fun to do. Zoo, play ground, rose garden, mini train(not operating every day), pond... perfect place for walking and relax under the tree. Even better, there is Dillons with Starbucks, Walgreens, some good restaurants nearby(10th Street), so I can have a more enjoyable time by going to park with coffee and snack.

Grew up in this park. Now my kids like to go when we visit. Some of the old school equipment is still there, which is pretty awesome. If you're looking for the metal roller slide you won't find it! The stuff in its place is pretty good though! Clean throughout. Lots of picnic areas.

We had a great time at the zoo. They had a Display of Dinosaurs everywhere. It was very cool. The animals were all out and pretty lively. Our Grandaughter had a blast. Afterwards we went to the park across the street. There we rode on the train and had a picnic lunch. A great day.
My son played golf here with his high school. Staff was very friendly and the views were great!

I give it four stars because it's a small town golf course which is a positive. I like to play small town courses because they are unique.
The fairways on this course could use some work. A lot of bare spots or weeds. I wish they would make red tee boxes . My partner and I noticed the yellow, white, etc tee boxes were nice and well marked, but the red tee boxes were a different story. They weren't easy to spot because they were not well marked (only had one small red box) and there wasn't an actual tee box with nice grass to hit from.
If you want a new course to try though, I would recommend this.

The Kansas Museum of History displays artifacts, dioramas and photos showcasing the heritage and history of Kansas. The museum provides ample space for events and exhibitions, which can be explored during favorable weather conditions. It offers an interesting insight into the formation and development of the state, helping visitors gain a better understanding of its past. Overall, it is a fascinating museum that presents an engaging account of Kansas' rich history.
Great memories there. Getting a renovation but look forward to seeing the museum reopened. Lots of history on the property

One of the best museums I have ever been to. Glad I stopped in here. Edit: 5 years later and I still feel the same way. My favorite museum and I've been to a lot of them in so many states. Sad to learn that it will be remodeled and done over but I would be excited to see it when it gets finished. Great facility and great experience. Highly recommend!

Great place to learn about Kansas history.
Have been here with school field trips as well as a family outing. The kids enjoy it and do not get too bored too fast. There is a play area in the lobby where kids can dress up and learn more hands on 🙂
Prices are fair and the gift shop has nice items as well as local honey and more.
Check out their events hosted and go see the amazing history of our area!

It's closing down September 4th for remodeling for the next 18 months I believe. We went for an hour didn't expect it to be so in depth. Absolutely amazing I suggest that you take 2 to 3 hours to go through the entire thing cuz we didn't have a chance to go through half. But I must say my favorite part homage to all of our fathers out there definitely the Santa Fe train!

A very well put together museum. Lots of information you can absorb and great dioramas/displays. We ran out of time on our visit, but we enjoy reading everything so that can take awhile. If you plan on visiting give yourself atleast 2 hours, and if you're like us plan on 3.5hrs.
I came here with friends. We drove from Dallas, and it took around 2 hr. We had to stop all the way to the park for snacks and restrooms. This was our first visit, and we loved this place. The park was clean. Good place for a group. Beautiful scenery. It was a great day and nice weather here at the park. Impressive state park with very large campsites. Very peaceful out here. The biggest expense was the five dollar day pass, but the park is always beautiful. This year the lake was way up, which was a different experience. Myself & 3 friends stopped an afternoon at Prairie Fire. We didn’t have a booked tasting, but Julie and Bob & their team were so amazingly accommodating and such a joy. We tasted 4 wines and a sangria and the show stopper was the warm mulled Red! I truly appreciate the passion they have for their craft and in sustainability. I took home a growler of the red mulled along with several cheeses, summer sausage and a candle in their beautiful store. If you are considering a stop at this winery, it’s so well worth it. The views are incredible and the whole ambience is just perfect.

Stopped in for the first time and I guess you need reservations as we arrived at 1:50 and there was a group with another coming at 2, however, we were still there st 2:15 and no one had shown up. We ended up just buying a bottle not knowing the taste and I bought candles since they were nice. It was a nice venue but not likely to go back since it seems if you don’t have reservations they don’t care about you

A fantastic stop if you're driving down I70 between Manhattan and Topeka. Very friendly service and great views. They have quite a few wines (100% Kansas grown grapes) but my wife and I's favorite are the sparkling wines. They also have a great selection of other "made in KS" items.

Stopped by here as a last minute stop and it was perfect! Though we weren’t sure if we were in the right place due to having to go down the dirt road. But at the end of it is a big winery and there shop. The $5 tasting flights are worth it! Had fun tasting some wine and looking around at other Kansas items. Though it seems like it would be a perfect place for big events we didn’t really have time to explore the actually vineyards. Though the person was really friendly and informative about all the different wines we tasted and any questions we had. There were also some really unique artist items around the shop for sale. Defiantly going to have to look into there different event they have and plan a trip back out.

Absolutely phenomenal! Bob (the owner) and Brie (the dog) were amazing hosts. Bob is personable and talked to every patron at every table. The wine tasting was amazing. We took home a bottle of our favorite wine from the tasting and a growler of Red Sangria.
We sat outside, listened to live music, ate from an assortment of available local charcuterie items (the vineyard provided a knife, pair of scissors, plates, napkins, and forks if needed), and walked around the vineyard.

Omgosh! This place is phenomenal! I love how it's off the beaten track so you can really enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. The wine was excellent and the sangria was simply magical! Ron did a wonderful job explaining the different flavors and styles on each bottle overall making us feel welcomed and helping us understand a little more about all wine in general! Super impressive place and hope to go back soon!

On our way from NC to Denver, CO to relocate we stopped here to take a break. It was a magically pleasant experience. Before the road trip people told us to sprint through Kansas because there would be nothing there - they clearly didn't pay attention to the Flint Hills area not this winery. Ron did our tasting and we talked to the owner as well. Both were just beautifully kind people and they let us take our dog off the leash to run free in the field. That was much needed after being in the car for 3 days. STOP HERE! You will see the beauty in Kansas!

Loved this place! Friendly and knowledgeable staff who assisted in finding a great wine to enjoy. Lots of good options for both white and red; they even carry rosé and some champagne. Great local cheese and summer sausage options as well. Be sure to walk through their vineyards for the best views of the hills. The place has the look and feel of being at home.
I love cheese curds so when I saw the highway sign I had to go in. Thank goodness I stopped because these were the best curds I have had. Previously I reviewed that the creamery in UT had the best. Not anymore. This place has beat it. On top of the curds, I bought a pack of beef sticks. They had a special going on I. Which I got both items for a total of only $8! Such a great deal.
If you like cheese this is definitely the place to go. They had blocks, sticks, shredded, and many different flavors of curds (cheddar, pepper Jack, garlic, Mediterranean, Buffalo wing, and dill). I got the Mediterranean. It was delicious!

There are also other things like caps and other apparel.

T O U R I S T T R A P ! ! There is no squeak to these cheese curds, they are weeks old, not days or hours like authentic cheese stores. The cheese is just ok, there is a reason why you do not see any USDA awards or recognition for their cheese.

Amazing cheese selection. Brilliant service. Pretty much anything I've had here has been brilliant. Get some curds, a gift box, a wheel of cheese. A great tour of a beautiful home, and a local legend for the town of Emporia. The tour was about an hour long, and the guide was knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the short video at the start of the tour. Stories like that of William Allen White show that you can come from a small town, but still make a huge impact on the country.

I went here today on a field trip. (To go you had to read 5 William Allen White award books and pass the quizzes over then with at least an 8/10)
I liked it! But I can definitely tell you that some people were bored. It was cool to see a house where presidents have been abd where this famous author and editor actually LIVED!! I think I found it more interesting than some because I love books too. It wasn't the most fun thing in the entire world, but it was still pretty cool.
I would recommend this!

Before I visited I knew just a few things about White. He was the owner and editor of the Emporia Gazette in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and was widely known for some of his editorials ("What's the Matter with Kansas?" etc.). He wrote a wonderful memorial to his young daughter Mary White after her tragic death riding her horse. That's about it. Visit this house and you will learn a lot more. It is well worth the trip, plus this part of Kansas is quite lovely and not entirely flat--the Flint Hills are nearby. Do visit if you are as close as Wichita or K.C. Spend a few hours learning about this man.
The haunted historic tours were well worth the money. Emporia always has neat downtown events.

My daughter is very upset because we paid for three tickets to the carriage event. I was told the event is 6:30 by my spouse and it was really 5 pm. I was late delivering because we are busy this time of year and explained the situation to these folks. I know they managed to fill the seats so it would not have been a burden to move us into another slot. I personally will not spend money on these events as I am now short $30 from this organization.

Cute little zoo! And did I say little, but goodness, just going off memory they had black and white swans, a bobcat, vultures, lemurs, monkeys, turtles, ducks, a couple types of geese, two bald eagles, owls, bison, llamas, a deer, peafowl, foxes and some type of ground squirrel/prairie dog. It was very well kept and clean. We had a wonderful visit.

Love this zoo! Pretty Small but super neat and worth the stop even if it weren’t free. The lynx is so playful and cute. Definitely my favorite animal there since I didn’t get to see the raccoon as out of the few that I’ve seen so far refuse to let me be their father and come outside.. anyways the Mountain Lion is the biggest one I’ve seen yet and was more traumatizing than the one that tried to eat me at the last zoo.. ( for legal reasons that’s a joke)

Such a wonderful little zoo! I wouldn't go out of your way to visit, especially if you have to travel quite a ways, some of the things mentioned on their website were not there, but if your close or traveling through it is worth the stop! It is so beautiful! We're about 35 minutes out and we were so glad we chose there to meet up with family. We are looking forward to going back after the renovations and additions are done!
We stopped while traveling to stretch our legs on the walking path along the water. This historic site was in front of the parking area for walking. It was an interesting site that we weren't expecting. I don't think it was open that day, and I'm not certain it's a place you can enter. The buildings were nice to see, as well as the information posted near them, on the signs I shared here in my photos.

It's a little place that is rich with American history. It's not exciting, and I wouldn't recommend bringing children to visit as there is not much for them to do but run around on the lawn. It's great if you are interested in Native American history and how the natives were actually treated. Overall I felt a sense of sadness when visiting this place and reading the signs around the yard.

Not what I expected. As a retired teacher, I was expecting to hear about the kids that were there, the teacher, teaching methods, and perhaps see a recreation of a room the boys stayed in. It's nothing like that. It is worth seeing, but it is a history of the town with hands on Indian artifacts. There are lots of pictures and some period furniture.

It's closed like everything right now. I assume the inside of the houses are really nice but who knows? It's nice to see the buildings preserved, unlike the Indian school just south of me, north of Newkirk, OK.

Early pioneer extra large reconstructed log cabin created in the Mormon community in Council Bluffs in 1847. Nice visitor center with a short video and several displays on the history.
11,000-acre nature preserve housing a visitor center, accessible hiking trails & historic buildings.
Great place. There is hiking trail of gravel road of 1 mile (not a loop). The ranger will aware you for snakes sleeping on the trail. So beaware of that. No fees involved.
I also visited several historical houses which is part of this place. You can see old day farming stuffs, gas station, etc. Must see the Ranch house - One can learn how the foods were stored in the winter. Outside the ranch house you will see how the toilets were made out of wood (yak!).
There is also nearby school house at a 5 min driving distance.

This is a very nice National Preserve. There are many, many miles of trails here to hike. Also part of the preserve is an impressive 1880's house and limestone barn so a little ranch history as well. Definitely worth a stop.

We were able to tour the visitor center, the barn, and main house before we ran out of time. We took the guided van ride into the park. If you like wide open spaces, this is for you. The milkweed and yarrow blooms were beautiful. They had not had much rain recently, so the flowers are a bit behind schedule. We saw some bison right by the road as well as in the distance. I recommend allowing time for the van ride. There are some walking trails.

It was very nice going out here. The visitor center is clean with lots of information on the area's plants and animals. The park ranger inside was very polite. We enjoyed our walk on the trails, and it was cool to see bison free roaming. I also appreciated the signage warning visitors to keep a respectful distance. The meadowlarks were very vocal during our visit which was just perfect for a day outside in Kansas.

A winter visit I'm sure is very different than when the grass is green and the flowers are in bloom, yet it was enjoyable to visit the grounds, home and take a hike. We saw the bison off in the distance which was a great!

An absolute beauty of a place. You can spend hours hiking here, and taking in the scenery.
You get to see heard of Bisons. The rangers at the visitor center, who were friendly, can guide you on where to find them.
Remember to carry water and some snacks with you. Also get your sunscreen, and bug spray.
There's absolutely no shade, so be prepared.
The nature trails are on gravel, hence, not stroller and wheelchair friendly. They have a Bottomland trail which is apparently wheelchair friendly.

The best times to visit this park are probably the spring and fall. I had intended to hike here on the beautiful trails, but temperatures were in the hundreds during my visit. The park is free to visit. The visitor center has interesting displays and a short movie. They also offer an air-conditioned van ride about 3 miles into the hills, which was very nice. The tour guide was quite knowledgeable and we even saw a couple bison.

Free admission with a variety of trails to hike. A couple of the trails have free roaming bison on them, but there are also options if you prefer some distance. There is no shade or tree cover, be sure to plan accordingly.

It's a nice 1881 ranch to tour. It is a free tour. We walked around the home. Very ornate wood and stone work. We toured 2 floors of the barn. You can hike over the hill to see Buffalo. We weren't up for it, So we didn't see any. There are nice public bathrooms and park rangers are available. Handicapped parking is available at the top of the hill. Masks are required in the house. Only 10 guests at a time inside.

This was our first visit to this wonderful site. The extant buildings are well preserved and very interesting. We really got a sense of why people were attracted to Kansas. There is a sense too of warmth and well-being that is still present.
The pictures are from two locations: the National Park Service site for the TGNP and the Schrumpf View Point south of the preserved area. Both are interesting and worth your time.
A second or third visit is needed to hike the trails that begin at the preserved farm site. It was 100F the day we visited so plan accordingly. Approximately 12 miles north in Council Grove there is a brewery, River Bank Brewing. After a long, dusty time on the road it's just the thing.

Beautiful place with amazing views of the Flint Hills, tall grass prairie, and bison. Everything is free, but if you call ahead, you can book a van tour which will take you up to the highest point for some amazing views and photos. You will also see the bison herd on the tour.
We also toured the old barn and home. It was a great educational experience for all.

This place is a must stop if anywhere in the area. Best deal around, free, and what a history lesson. Plan to be here a couple of hours to experience all this place has to offer. You are able to go into a large barn with turn of century equipment, a 4 story mansion and outbuildings. There are multiple trails and a one room school house. Experience yesteryear and make this a stop.

Born and raised in the Flint Hills of Kansas, I love the beauty in its simplicity. Post-university, I’ve enjoyed living in and experiencing big cities around the country and traveling internationally, but my heart always brings me back to visit Kansas, especially my native Flint Hills. Once you learn to appreciate the vast and romantic barrenness of this wild Kansas landscape, your awe for dramatic mountains, oceans and city skylines changes and amplifies. Your perspective evolves, your eye will see the world in a new way. Listening to the waves of wind hitting the tallgrass, it can be hypnotic. While at first you might feel alone, stand still and you can sense the centuries worth of inhabitants and travelers who preceded you; the indigenous people, European explorers, Santa Fe Trail pioneers, homesteaders, farmers, bootleggers. A rich history. Hike the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, and get lost in its meditative charm. It is a one of a kind experience. I recommend reading PrairyErth by William Least Heat-Moon before your visit.

Wide (really wide) open space on rolling hills and gulches. Magical for its serenity, silence, far horizons, and history. Seeing the undisturbed bison herds in the distance was special. Take a camera or phone with a good zoom lens but don't forget to look down at the watering holes and wallows as you walk. The sky is endless.

This was a great stop on a trip from Wichita to Topeka. We had planned on spending two hours here but ended up hiking for four. You hike to get to the pasture where the bison graze. It was a breathtaking experience to find the herd. Just make certain to wear appropriate sun protection (as there is no shade) and to bring water. There is also an old school house you can visit. The visitor center has a water fountain with a bottle filler and restrooms. The park rangers were friendly and helpful. They also offer a van tour.

This is an amazing preservation of Kansas history! The limestone buildings constructed on this ranch in the early 1880s are unspeakably jaw dropping!! I could have watched the buffalo roaming in the natural prairie for many more hours than I did! The many trails are a great way to experience the land, natural habitats, and breathtaking views. Plan to stay an entire day here as it is well worth it!!! I'll be going back!
Beautiful old courthouse. The oldest still in operation in Kansas.
Eduard C Hanganu — Google review
This is the OLDEST county courthouse in Kansas built in 1871 at a cost of $41,000. It is a MAGNIFICENT historical structure and I got to wander around without hindrance. More details are offered in other reviews but it is, without a doubt, worth visiting if you are in the vicinity. The old jail cells that were in use up to the 70s are like human bird cages. Kudos to everyone across the decades that was involved in the preservation of this architectural treasure.
Guy Daley — Google review
This is one of my favorite places to visit and "wonder around". Millions of dollars have been put into restoring this building into a work of art. All I can say is that it is absolutely beautiful! Itis wheel chair accessable in nearly 95% of the building. The few exceptions are a couple of narrow hallways, and staircases and the old jail cells from the late 1800's that have also been restored.
John ?arQive? Bellia — Google review
We really enjoyed seeing this courthouse. We were headed between prairies in Oklahoma and Kansas on the Flint Hills scenic byway and saw this on the tourist info. We just walked in and wandered around the building and through the old jail upstairs. Our kids got to sit inside the tall oval window at the top. No one ever asked us what we were doing. There was another family going through when we were there. We felt free to respectfully roam through. The kids especially loved the jail and the cells in it. It was a very unique jail in my experience-walls and everything made out of metal or painted to look that way. The courthouse and stairwells truly were beautiful. I noticed a little vintage collection box and put in a few dollars to help preserve it, but no one asked us to and there is no charge to go through. If I ever came back to the area again I would definitely stop in and encourage others to make the stop. Check hours, though, as I believe it is closed on the weekends.
El Dorado State Park is situated adjacent to the El Dorado Reservoir and is primarily focused on offering camping and cabin lodging facilities. The park boasts of its vast, pristine lake that exhibits sheer beauty and cleanliness. During summers, it transforms into an exciting spot for activities like fishing and floating to beat the heat. While some areas of the lake have trees in the water, it does not deter visitors from enjoying their time here.
So beautiful. Great camping. Lots of deer and other wildlife to see.

Hello Cabin Searchers & Readers,
I am a veteran with an Emotional Support Animal. I called a bit ago and was told I was not allowed to bring my buddy with me to stay in a cabin , unless it was cabin five. Well it’s booked for the night I am available. I will never consider this place again. What’s the point in having a support animal if I can’t bring them with me on one overnight stay; seems unethical? Also, the webpage needs to be more clear that this isn’t allowed, so someone like me doesn’t have to be embarrassed when calling to talk about it when trying to stay out here for one night. God Bless America 🇺🇸 and don’t go here.

Always a great place to visit with the family with many things to do. Whether you are there to fish, camp and cook, shoot, or hunt, they have it all. The range staff are extremely friendly, supportive, and helpful, and always provide a safe environment. The fishing can be hit or miss but can catch some good cats for sure. The camping grounds are a little ran down now that the correction facility is no longer there, and the road back behind the rock quarry is closed so you can't go back there and fish. Wildlife is always active and beautiful to see.

I love this lake because of its size, cleanliness, and beauty. I would recommend everybody to visit this lake. Maybe come flooded during the Spring but in the summer it is a fun place to be. Not a fan of the trees in the water in some parts of the lake but I often enjoy fishing and floating in the lake to keep cool. Has a fairly good sized Marina And plenty of camping spots for any kind of camp or whether it's just for the day or for the whole weekend.
Eric Toms — Google review
As of 12/31/23, the lake is extremely low. Don't expect to drop your boat in most areas that used to be boat ramps due to the low water. There are parts of the lake that are now weed fields and mud flats and some parts that look like they have water but it's only a couple of feet deep. If you had a great time two years ago, it may be a 180° next time. Hoping for more rain to fill the creeks so we can get our lake back in shape. Happy New Year y'all.

Just spending the night while I travel through. Aww showers, yes, and they say laundry also? Won't check that out. The lake is nice and it is clean. Your shower house has an open roof but the water is not too hot or cold. It is nice. I would come here again.

It is a pretty State Park, with grass around the lake. We swam in the warm, muddy lake to cool off from the humidity and skeeters. The camp host was not to be found, but he certainly found us after 9:30 pm (do your job at a proper hour, or wait!).
Site 44 had a fish prep station that was falling apart, and a picnic bench that when sat on, flexed and bent. When the camp host decided to come collect $24 for the night, he invited himself to sit on it (with all our food and such.... In my "kitchen"). His response "oh, this bench isn't good; go ahead and drag yourself a better one over". The street light kept on all night at a campground was an especially lovely touch... What a joke.
Bathroom was clean, but couldn't lock the stall doors because they were broken. Paid $24 to park in the grass and eat on broken gear/equipment. I give it two stars because the grass was mowed and I got to see a live armadillo. :/
Sprayed herbicide 20' from my kids and camp.... I'll be contacting folks regarding this situation.

We camp here multiple times a year. We do both primitive and RV camping just depending on weather and who all is coming. It is always a great time with well kept campsites, roads and bath houses. We prefer to stay on the Bluestem side because we are closer to the boat ramps, beach and bait shop. Highly recommend!
Walnut River Brewing Co. offers a wide selection of 12 beers on tap and several others in the fridge, making it difficult to choose just one. The bartender is helpful in recommending options, and the warm pretzel bites are a tasty snack option. While disappointed that the kitchen was closed for lunch during the visit, it's noted that food is available on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Fantastic experience, atmosphere, and service. It's not often that I find a place that I enjoy every beer and that is the case here. James is a fantastic server, attentive and present and he's done a remarkable job. I will be coming back.

With 12 beers on tap, and a fridge of several others, it's not easy to choose just one! I'm not really beer drinker, but the bartender recommended one to try and it was pretty good. Biggest disappointment was that we had anticipated ordering sandwiches for lunch, only to be told their kitchen was closed. During our time there, we did have warm pretzel bites, and it sounds like they only serve food on Tuesday and Friday. Otherwise, it's a clean, friendly spot to grab a drink- and buy some to take home, too.

Here on a Tuesday night. Populated but not packed at 5:30. At 7:30 we joined the weekly trivia game, which was fun. We also lucked out and got a tour of the facilities. Lots of brews on tap. I ordered a sampler of five. Definitely varies in quality. If they have Ridiculous on tap, give it a try. The bar sits six people. The main bar floor seats around 24, and they can open up part of the brew floor to accommodate another seven people. As far as clientele, average age was 40.
They have a kitchen. I ordered a "Kitchen Sink" sandwich, and it was basically a toasted club sandwich. I liked it, but nothing to write home about. The point of this place is the overall ambiance (which you can see in the photos) and the beer. It's a really neat place, and I would definitely come back. Oh, and they can host small events of up to like 65 people.

Because of my wife and friends we hang out with, I tend to visit quite a few wineries. Among the things I truly appreciate in a winery is a variety of sitting areas, the option to bring in your own food, and (obviously) great wines. Grace Hill offers all of that as well as a tremendously friendly staff, entertainment and seasonal events, and a winery dog.
Our group of four found ourselves commenting that it isn't often that we end up buying bottles to take with us at most wineries, much less the multiple bottles we purchased from Grace Hill. Unfortunately, I may not find myself visiting again, but I would make a point to stop if I ever find myself within an hour of here. I wish we had dedicated more time for our visit. This probably would make it into a list of my top five wineries out of the dozens I've visited.
Jeff B — Google review
While the wine was OK, the lack of customer service certainly could be improved on. A few points to consider; a tasting reservation should imply that you have somewhere to sit to enjoy the experience (not just stand at a bar), rinsing of our glasses between wines would have been appreciated, yes we were offered a food menu, but again, standing to eat was the only option offered us. As someone who has enjoyed wine tasting all over the world, the standard has been that when bottles are purchased, the tasting fee is waived, and often times the glass is included. Not the case here. Our server acknowledged that she was new, but wrong menus, extremely small pours, and lack of knowledge certainly impacted the experience.

Tucked away off of a backroad in Whitewater, This place makes for a great option if you are looking for something to do with a group of friends or family. Visited for a wine tasting, stayed for a bit longer to enjoy a bottle and charcuterie with the family. Wine tasting was fun, Michael was a good wine steward explaining all of the selections, and he was spot on when he suggested our purchase selections based on our facial expressions when tasting. Peaceful overlook of the vineyard, very "farmy" feel. Charcuterie was quite tasteful--not basic cheap stuff. VERY good wine! Highly recommended for a fun activity off the beaten path.

A very fun experience picking grapes and learning how a small winery makes wine and how grapes are grown. Great atmosphere and a good time with folks. Great meal as well. The venue is located not far from a paved road but still private enough to make for a great gathering place for 50 to 100 people. Highly recommend their grape picking in September!
I've been going to this theater since I was a kid, and I go more often nowadays than I ever have. The employees are all very nice young people and the owner is an awesome guy. It's a great movie theater. The tickets are very low cost and the snack bar is similar. You can go to the movie and have snacks for two people for under $30 which is pretty difficult nowadays. I will go there as often as I have the opportunity it's unfortunate that they are low in staffing but they're doing a great job with what they have and there's no waiting just less availability for movies hopefully they can find some people to join their team. I think the only particular issue is that there is no quarter machine for the arcade or an ATM easily accessible within the movie theater for people needing cash. Otherwise I look forward to visiting the movie theater again.

All Star Adventures is a large amusement park with rides for both kids and adults, bumper cars, go-karts, mini golf, and more. It has a great atmosphere and is perfect for a rainy day.
My kids and I really enjoy coming here the westside has a better arcade for sure and the go carts go pretty fast here, also had laser tag and rock wall, golf driving range and a batting cage!! The east location had there track down for repairs the day we came. But there carnival rides worked and a better miniature golf course for sure provided lots of shade! All in all they both have good things and was a great time would recommend either one. I rate it 5 stars!

It was our first time having a birthday party there. The service was good. The party decorations were great. The bad part was that we had unlimited rides, but only the go carts were running, and it was very cold. Was not worth the price we paid for very little rides, so if you decide to reserve a party do it after all the rides are open for the season, which is the same price.
The pizza! Was horrible, my kids love pizza and they refused it basically because it was burnt!

The employees were so kind to my 4 year old. There weren't enough to staff the rides but the park was slow and he had his own personal ride operator who ran the rides he wanted next. Owners should do some basic maintenance (paint, pieces missing). Whi ever trained the staff, great job.

They were lacking employees to ride all of the rides- BUT the employees that were there worked super hard to try and be there to operate what people wanted to ride. Overall a decent place. They really should put some money into it. But I'm sure covid is hitting them as well financially. My family had fun and thats all I wanted. :)

All rides said they were open, but not enough employees to run the rides. My son rode the go carts 3 times. On the 4 time they told him he couldn't ride by himself because he wasn't 18. All employees should be trained on the same information. In MY opinion it was not worth the money I spent.

The staff here was very nice, friendly and helpful. This used to be a very nice and well maintained park. It is showing it age. The outside buildings are in disrepair. The mini golf courses used to be beautiful, it is now a mess. The course holes are in pretty good shape though. The fountains don't work at all and the course accent lighting is gone. The waterfall features, which were beautiful, now don't work and smells bad. All the water features needs cleaned. The go carts are fun but the track needs some serious work in several parts. I am sure the last couple years have been really tough, it is just sad to see the park going down hill.

Decent time, nice but expected more. Went on the 4th of July and it was dead. Perfect for our family of 5. No beating crowds in the heat. Almost everyone we met was super polite, outside of the snack bar attendant who simply didn't understand the concept of me wanting to know the size of a large popcorn. He finally understood and went into the back to grab a tiny paper bag sized far less of the amount you'd get from a single bag of microwave popcorn-and I can't be exact in my memory but I think it was priced at $4.99. The snack bar was outrageously priced yet barely stocked. No pizza, hot dogs- just candy, popcorn and drinks. I opted to run to the store down the street and stock my backpack with snacks and treats for our 3 kids. It states no outside food or drink unless you're having a birthday party, but the status of their snack bar warranted improvised snacks. Half the rides were closed or not working. There were more kiddie rides available, which was nice for my 2 year old, but not my older 2. And they didn't have enough staff to have an attendant at each ride. Only 2 people for each area. So there was a small wait to get on rides as the attendants had to walk over between rides. We will return soon as we got a family pack of tickets, 30 for $65 and still have 14 left. Tickets are good for 30 days after the initial purchase. But for a family of 5, that should say enough.
Walking Circus — Google review
Due to staffing issues which unfortunately is not their fault you had to wait for the attendance to open rides they had one for the go-karts and one for everything else so as lines would build up he'd have to wait for the ride he was already running to dwindle down before he can move on to the next ride. Same thing inside you went to the concession stands and two employees are standing back in the back on their phones while another one was running around trying to do everything and couldn't keep up with the line. We did have a good time riding the go-karts and other rides but you have to remember no staff short staff sometimes means you're not going to have that great of an experience.

I took my grandson here for a home school field trip. I was pleasantly surprised at how good a nature center surrounded by an urban environment could be. The nature center has a small but comprehensive natural history museum with displays of most of the major fauna in Kansas. There were even a few live exhibits of snakes and reptiles. The nature trails through the attached Chisholm Creek Park were paved and well maintained ranging in length from 1/2 mile to almost 2 miles. A large variety of habitats from wetlands to prairies are contained within this small area. It was very interesting and a well spent hour and half for myself and my 6 year old.

This is a gorgeous place to walk or ride bikes . We went shortly before dusk and watched the sun set over the wetlands and through a field of yellow sunflowers . The deer , ducks and other water creatures , dragonflies and a wide variety of trees and fauna were a joy to see. Beautiful paved and unpaved trails. You are almost guaranteed to see deer, turtles, geese, ducks and butterflies roaming around the park. The deer are not that afraid of humans so you can get pretty close to them. If you are willing to go a little off trail there are some wonderful isolated hammock spots in the middle of the plains. However be prepared to wade through miles of tall grasses and get ticks on your legs in search for these spots. This is a great park about 6 minutes from WSU for a quick getaway from city life.

Our go to place for nature walks! There are multiple trail options and they are stroller/wagon friendly (although there are a few places you may have to lift the wheels up a bit to get up onto a bridge). The indoor area is free and has tons of info about Kansas plants and wildlife. We always see something neat every time we visit! There is a map at the entrance of the paths and also one you can download from their website. Super easy to follow and they all circle back to the parking lot one way or another. There is a large outdoor picnic area right next to the parking lot as well.

Admission is free and open. Kids will enjoy walking here and parents will enjoy the time out with the family to somewhere quiet and relaxing. Sometimes animals can be spotted but it depends on the season and time of day.

Cool nature displays and an interactive scavenger hunt for kids, plus miles of paved walkways for getting your steps in!

A quiet oasis in Wichita. It’s well kept and litter free. The paths are moderately well maintained given that it is a nature preserve and that is the primary goal. You want decent shoes, and at some points you should take care, but there are plenty of paths that would even be wheel chair friendly.
