Really incredibly comfortable reclining seats with footrests! Plenty of room to move around, the sound was at the appropriate volume and the place was clean. I'll make a point to go there again just for the recliners!

Most comfortable reclining seats ever!!!
Especially while watching a long movie.
I took my parents to see the avatar which was 3 hours long actually. They were saying it was the best movie experience they've ever had. Personally I thought the screen was not big enough for my taste but I guess the building wasn't big enough for bigger screen.
This place is pretty small, less seatings available. But it definitely makes it up with reclining seats for sure.
4 out of 5 stars for me due to smaller screen to my liking.
HAN'S GARAGE — Google review
The screens at this theater need a serious upgrade. This is my local theater and I have AMC A-list so it’s quite inconvenient to have to go to a different theater because this one always disappoints. You can hardly see the screen the brightness is so messed up. And a lot of the recliner seats don’t work. I hope they fix this because it really is so disappointing.
Allison S — Google review
The theater seems a bit old. The seats were very comfortable, the temperature was comfortable and the picture/sound was clear. They had popcorn and drinks from the cool dispenser but the drinks didn't taste that good. They needed more syrup. They didn't really have a big selection of snacks otherwise. Also, when the movie ended the mail was closed so we had to walk all the way around to get back to our car. It was a chilly rainy night so it kind put a damper on our mood. Next time I'm going to go to a newer theatre closer to home.
Dana Stalgaitis — Google review
I went to see Oppenheimer on Saturday night. The theater wasn’t especially busy and the place was filthy. Trash just overflowing like it hasn’t been changed all day. The interior of the theater is super dated. The bathroom is bright, spacious and relatively clean but the rest of the theater was dirty. If I’m going to pay $14 for a movie and $6 for Kit Kats, I’d like the place to at least be clean.
Teresa Zaki — Google review
Sweet smell of popcorn 🍿 every where with regular around $9 and large at $10. Multiple screens with different shows are available. Shows before 4 pm are 30% off all days. Though I felt some tidiness should be maintained by people. Nice small small cabin theaters they have. With multiple movie’s going on in parallel. Popcorn 🍿 cheesy n other flavors with lot of drinks 🥤 to choose from however pricey 🤩
Staff is very nice around 18 theaters they have in East Brunswick Square mall.
Lot of parking spaces are available. AmC theater have dual entry one from the Mall side and one exclusive for AMC from back. Parking can be done anywhere in East Brunswick parking spaces. Thanks 🙏

It needs an upgrade the recliner seats are old. Some torn and when reclining it makes loud sounds like it's breaking.. theater 10 seat E8 to be specific. Good location but the floors were so sticky my flip flops had to get scrubbed on the bottom when I got home. Teenagers running through the theater during movie. Movies aren't cheap anymore I want to enjoy it when I go.
Marissa Meyer — Google review
This was my first time seeing a movie since COVID. Not the best experience for the prices they charge, lol. For a Friday night the place was definitely understaffed and unprepared. There was only two girls working the snack stand and the line was ridiculously long, there were no napkins ANYWHERE in the place, bathrooms had no soap and missing TP in some stalls. You’d think on a Friday night they would have at least toilet paper and soap in the bathrooms. Lastly, you pay all this money for your tickets because of the fancy recliners, but they don’t even recline. I’ll be try New Brunswick or Menlo for my next movie night.
Christina Kelly — Google review
Although the place could use a little refreshing, we had an overall good experience there. Sound and screen were very satisfactory and the place was pretty clean. I do want to mention that we were there for the second showing so I can't guarantee what it's like in the evening. Also, we didn't use the theater bathrooms as reviews were quite scary. So I cannot attest of their condition either.
DJ H — Google review
Do NOT order the pretzel bites they were gross. Didn't taste like any pretzels I've ever had before, and I had to throw them away. I just ordered the salted ones.
I do like the free large popcorn refill and drink refills. Theater is a bit dated, but they have comfy chairs. If you get an early showing in a Sunday, make sure to park at the rear entrance to the theater as the gate to the mall is closed, and they refuse to let you in.
Jessica Halpin — Google review
Good theater. Make sure you park your car at the back of the mall where the main AMC entrance is. If you leave the theater after the mall closes, you will have to walk all the way around the outside of the mall to get to your car. The recliner theater was large and has the AMC signature recliners (theater 7). The other ones don't have the AMC signature seat but the old regular plush ones. The food is good. It was pretty clean theater.
Amir Mohammed — Google review
This movie theater is not that great. I came to the theater because it was showing a movie I wanted to see and it was the only one with recliners. The theater I was in was very small, maybe 40 seats. It had a very small screen and about 10 of those seats where what most consider way too close. the audio is decent but the screen definitely took me out of it along with the uncomfortable "leather recliners" that were bottomed out with butt cheeks before I even sat down. the theater in New Brunswick isn't much better but it's a little bit bigger and at least you don't have to pay $2 for a delivery fee if you want to order on the app
Sal Cossari — Google review
Really basic bare bones mall. Only one floor. Not much going on. They have very few store compared to your average mall. Unless you're intentionally going to one of thr restaurants, Macy's, JC Penny, or the movies, not really worth the visit.
Sabrina Carmant — Google review
Not the Worst Theatre and Absolutely Not the Best... They Do Have the Leather Reclining Seats Which Is Most Important... The Place is Small,, Outdated and Crummy w/ Stacks of Supply Boxes Stored Out on the Main Corridor... NO Courtesy Popcorn Given When Asked Even Though I Bought 2 Food Items Which Comes w/ Pretty Good Portions @ a Good Price Compared to Other Theatres... Box a Fries and Mozarella Sticks Were $7.50 Each... Comes With 8 Moza Sticks So Thats a Great Price...
The Renaissarian — Google review
The movie theater is good, but something must be done about people who sit on someone else's seat. This happened a few times. Outside of the movie rooms need update.
Olu Obafemi — Google review
It is our favourite family movie theater.
In I am mute very comfortable cinema halls - their a set. Seats are displayed and it is possible to have a rest lying.
Also, the pleasant and honest personnel work there.
I recommend for visit.
Longtime sanctuary offers a home for a wide range of abandoned & abused domestic & exotic animals.
So good to see such a loving place. We drove one hr and half and it was well worth it. The rescue zoo had most of the animals there, tiger, bear, monkey, deer, lion, you name it. Perfect for kids or animal lovers. Keep up the great work!
Jay Pao — Google review
This was an incredible experience for me and my family as big cat enthusiasts. Being able to admire these majestic animals up close was truly unforgettable. It's evident that they're well-loved and cared for. Despite the park's small size, the range of rescued animals is impressive. I highly recommend visiting. Plus, at just $10 per ticket, not only do you get a fantastic experience, but you also contribute to the welfare of these animals.
Temur Sultanov — Google review
It's heartwarming to know that someone is taking care of these seemly discarded animals. Feeding them ourselves is so much fun! The Belgian horse stomps his foot twice after you give him a peanut absolutely delightful!
Nelson Soto — Google review
I feel peace knowing all the animals are safe. Many are from closing zoos with no habitat to go to. Others were an attempt to domesticate a wild animal. It is a wonderful place to see them at peace and not in a concrete stall. All corals are replicated to their natural environment as much as they can be.
Joan Wagenheim — Google review
Great work being done. All the animals have names and their story on how the ended up at the poopcorn park. Go later in the day most of the animals are out because they all know its feeding time.
Clark Neumany — Google review
My wife, 4 year old, 2 year old, a bunch of friends, and I went to the Popcorn Park Animal Refuge in Forked River, NJ yesterday and had a great experience. It was our first time, however, our friends have been a number of times. We had such a great time. Not too much walking. Kids love it and are already asking to go back. Coolest thing might be that you are less than 5 feet away from bears, cougars, lions, and tigers. Parking and refuge are all dirt so be prepared to get a little messy. Can't wait to go back!
Joseph R. Pratico — Google review
I love this place. Taking my son is always a good time. My family used to bring me here all the time as a kid, so this place is a tradition to stop by in nice weather. The entrance fee is cheap. My son got in for free and my ticket was about $7. The park is very clean. I personally think the cages are a little small for some of those animals. But I hope that they are being treated well behind the scenes. Because it is a safe place for animals needing rescuing.
stefani sprague — Google review
Came today with the kiddos, an inexpensive way to connect with animals and nature. The whole place was pretty clean and the animals seem loved. There are not allowing you to feed them popcorn at this time. Only negative is a lot of exhibits were empty.
Raylyn Tupper — Google review
This place was so awesome. I wasn't sure how it was going to be, But it did not disappoint. The kids loved it the cards outside of the cages were super educational. The one complaint I do have is that the bathrooms were really far. And if you're going with multiple kids especially a baby. It's hard because there steps into a trailer. Other than that I thought that it was a great place for an easy outing.
Angela Tonuzi — Google review
Fun place for all ages. You can get close to the animals. They have big cats and farm animals. Reptile house was closed. Clean and wide pathways and plenty of popcorn to feed the animals. The bears only like peanuts though😆 Take your kids. For 5 bucks you can't go wrong
Jonathan Bollback — Google review
Knowing that rescued animals have a refuge and in turn, contribute to the enjoyment and education of both children and adults is wonderful. We didn’t see any turtle, probably because they’re relocated due to the cold temperatures in this fall season. Similarly, the monkeys were hiding inside their shelters, so we didn’t see any. Nevertheless, the most memorable moment was the majestic roar of the lion. Despite my daughter's efforts to capture a video, she unfortunately missed the opportunity. The peacock's stunning display of its feathers was truly enchanting.
Parking is free. We paid our entrance fee on site because I couldn’t find a place to pay on their website/online. Food and drinks are not allowed. Cold drinks are sold inside. No cafe or food stall. So it’s better to eat and drink prior to going in. It takes less than 2 hours to walk around. There’s a small gift shop. The staff is pleasant and friendly. We enjoyed our visit here.

Such amazing work this organization does to make animals that can no longer be cared for have a home. Being so close to many of them truly makes me happy and seeing a Patagonian Mara was a true treat!
Rachael S — Google review
A local family friend recommended a stop here with our 3 year old. We're so glad that we stopped by. The zoo is the perfect size for a 3 year old to explore (not too big and not too small) and had lots of animals for her to see up close. Her favorites were Seven the horse and the new lions.
We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
Elisabeth M — Google review
Nice place with lots animals. My 23 year old niece and 11 year old son loved the place minus the sand on the ground. Don’t wear your best sneakers.
Heads up, you can meet the pets without making an appointment. They only give a photo album to browse. I don’t think that looking at photos will get these dogs and cats new homes quickly.
Asya Ojeda — Google review
Cool local zoo that helps rescue animals.
Unfortunately you can't feed the animals popcorn or peanuts anymore as of 2024.
sean bolden — Google review
Great place and a wonderful service for the animals who need to be rescued. When we got there, we were informed that they no longer allow feeding the animals anything and they no longer provide popcorn and peanuts. That was a bit of a disappointment for us, but we still had a nice time!
The Princeton Public Library is a must-visit spot located in the heart of downtown, just a short walk from Palmer Square. It offers an array of highbrow educational materials, tech classes, and film and book festivals. With access to over 145,000 books, it's a haven for book lovers. The library also hosts events for all ages, making it an inviting space for families.
This is one of the best and most well thought-out public libraries I’ve ever encountered. There are multiple study areas, both indoor and outdoor patio and balcony seating areas, a beautiful Children’s Library with multiple computers in which children can play, work, work and learn. The adult section also has multiple computers and all areas have amazing and friendly staff. There’s also a small cafe to meet any snacking needs.

Beautiful building in the heart of downtown Princeton. You can send faxes here and make copies as well. Very friendly staff and snacks and coffee/tea available from a vendor in the front lobby. The library has many books computers, and it is a very quiet environment if you’re looking to do work or study. You can reserve a private room or private meeting space as well. Located on the second floor.

Parking is metered.
You get library card without charge if you are student at Princeton , live in Princeton or are a teacher. For others it is subscription based.

A beautiful three-store library which gives you a sense of being at home yet provides you a quite place to study! Great people & nice place for readying/ study time!

Well worth the visit. I am a member of the library as a non resident. Simply pay the library tax portion a resident would owe and get membership for a year. This gives you access to their extensive collections as well as many other amenities. This includes free parking in the adjacent deck for up to two hours, study rooms, and, museum passes. Anyone can use the excellent cafe!
The library is well-staffed and although it gets crowded at peak times, there are plenty of places to sit. The library offers spaces which are for quiet work and study complete with computers.
There are dedicated teen and children's areas which have plenty of books, teen and kid-friendly seating, and computers.
The library is conveniently located in the heart of Princeton and I highly recommend a visit.

Princeton public Library is definitely one of the best Libraries in New Jersey but from my point of view it’s the best, it’s beautiful, clean and has everything and all the services in addition to their little gift shop that has souvenirs, gifts and T-shirts. They have many tables that have puzzles so you can enjoy your time by doing that. Even walking around was definitely a good experience.

The Princeton Public Library makes me so proud to live in this city. It has a comfortable vibe, generous amenities, and an incredible selection of books and other media. It always feels like home when I go inside and everyone I’ve encountered who works there is helpful and kind. The events and resources they provide for the community far surpass expectations and are fun for all. Someday I’ll leave this city but I’ll never forget this remarkable library ❤️

As all of Princeton this library offers not only books, but much more. The 3rd floor is a kids floor, with a story time room and events for kids going on all the time. Free online library through the app, 2$ off the parking ticket, and free tickets to local museums for members are awesome features. On their website you can find info on the events constantly happening here for kids and adults, take those museum tickets. It's a really nice, safe and friendliest place to be.

One of the better public libraries I've ever seen. It's clean, well organized and offers a lot of resources to the community. The staff here is really helpful and it's a great place to get some work down. They have power outlets all over and free "high-speed" wifi.
Tommy Chen — Google review
Great public library - it’s very clean and spacious inside. There’s a place to play board games or solve puzzles or play chess. You can also rent video games and movies which is awesome! It was a little loud on the weekend with a lot of kids running up and down the stairs, so I recommend sitting away from the staircase. I also wish they had more seats for reading, as a lot of the seats were workspace focused.

As a gorgeous library erected in the heart of Princeton, this public facility is a cornerstone to the civic foundation that serves in the backdrop of the collegiate campus. Often times, the beauty of towns and cities are overshadowed by the latter tenant, however, the Princeton Public Library challenges this construct in a good old-fashioned manner.
The library adopts a modern archictecture build, blending in with the surrounding buildings and tones along the main thoroughfare that bisects this part of town. However, sitting at three stories in height, the library is hard to miss. The glass panels provide a sense of elegance and grandeur to the brick-and-mortar structure, while offering insight to the ongoings within.
Each floor has its own unique design and arrangment to provide contrast, while complimenting the purpose and catalogue of media located on that floor. A flight of stairs offer open access to the first two floors, while the third floor is more enclosed in nature. The third floor is dedicated to children, which offers a great space for children to explore and/or discover their love for reading without having to worry about bothering others. The wide selection of media is expertly organized to provide easy and logical navigation and location.
Access to the building is available from Witherspoon Street and from the side of the Spring Street parking garage. The facility is ADA-friendly in that it has an elevator that provides access to all three floors. There is a community cafe on the first floor as you enter the building that provides light refreshments, with a used-book store and small over-the-counter gift shop located on this floor as well.
Overall, the Princeton Public Library is a great visit and a staple to Princeton-living that is worth your visit while you're in town!

Very neat and clean, well organized library. It is spread over two floors with a special section for children. The best part is that the library is open seven days a week. Plenty of reading space with chess and puzzle tables, scanners, computers, printers and digital search stations placed all over the library. It is open to the public but books can be issued only by members.
Dhirendra Nath Mathur — Google review
This is a beautiful library. But for the third time, I have tried to bring my children here for a children's event and found the garage next to the library closed because it is full. After circling around and finding the parking lot across the street from the library also full, I finally found a 30 minute parking space on a street a few blocks away so my child could go to the science program. But she couldn't stay afterwards to read books as long as she wanted because we had to go back to avoid a ticket. Since it's so difficult to get to this library on the weekends, we normally use the nearby Mercer County libraries to read books since they have parking. The Mercer County libraries don't have as many resources as Princeton, but they've done their best with what they have and create a welcoming environment for children. It would be nice if Princeton could please hold their children's events off location somewhere where people could park so the people paying very high taxes could use the library.

What a terrific public library this is! The librarians and staff are all friendly and helpful. This library has wonderful resources including the large multi-purpose Community Room, several conference rooms, a training center and 9 study rooms for patrons to reserve & use. In addition, the library has wonderful technology in all of the public spaces.
The Princeton University Art Museum is a public museum that exhibits over 80,000 works of art from ancient to contemporary times. The collection includes a wide range of art and artifacts, including symbolism-rich pieces with great historical significance. Although it is a small and free museum, the collection is impressive enough to capture the interest of adults and young children alike. Visitors can easily spend several hours exploring the exhibits depending on their level of curiosity about art history.
Surprisingly nice for a small and free museum. A good collection of art and ancient artifacts. If you have younger children it probably won’t keep them occupied for more than an hour; adults can easily spent a couple hours or more, depending on your level of interest.

Princeton's Art Museum is a small, quiet little museum. When I visited, you couldn't bring in water bottles, so most people "parked" theirs in the coatroom until their visit was over. I didn't worry that someone would steal my (unattended) coat.
The Museum's collection is modest but interesting. Princeton's campus is beautiful and there are many cool restaurants and shops right nearby.

There is so much art everywhere, and so many different pieces to look at! It's very fun! It has a gift shop where you can purchase books about art they have out. All different things to buy there. Copies of art, postcards, books. Bring money for a book at that gift shop. Expensive but worth it, especially if it's not a place you visit more than once or a couple times in your lifetime. Great for a day trip!

It's a very complete museum! It's huge actually. You wouldn't think it's that big when you see it from the outside. It has all types of art you can imagine from old to modern art. Princeton University is an esteemed institution of higher education established in 1746. It is renowned for its engineering, science, and humanities programs. The campus boasts impressive architecture and holds historic significance. Though it is a private university, it has high academic standards and values its exclusivity. However, this exclusivity can limit access to certain areas on campus such as the university chapel which is only accessible to students, faculty or staff.
Truly an iconic Ivy League university! The moment you enter the gates you can feel the 300 year history of this legendary university. The time capsules for each batch are a beautiful tradition and placed in a very aesthetics manner. The town of Princeton around the university is a great place to walk around among a truly accomplished crowd of people!

Princeton University is a private Ivy League university located in Princeton, New Jersey. It was founded in 1746 as the College of New Jersey and is one of the oldest in the U.S.
Princeton is ranked among the top universities in the world, and is best known for its rigorous academics, prestigious alumni network, and of course, as its well proclaimed beautiful campus.
Princeton offers a broad range of academic programs, with majors ranging from humanities, social sciences, economics, and engineering.
Its campus is absolutely beautiful. It consists of various large extensive buildings and structures all throughout the walking area. It is very much common to see students alike and tourists taking photos of such aforementioned structures because of their voluminous space and architecture.
Princeton's undergraduate curriculum is based on a liberal arts foundation, requiring students to take courses in a variety of disciplines.
As stated on their respective website:
4 years of English
4 years of Mathematics
4 years of one foreign language
2 Years of Laboratory science
2 Years of History
Princeton also offers a variety of financial aid programs to help students make college affordable.
Not only that, but undergraduates also have the opportunity to conduct independent research, often under the mentorship of Princeton's world-renowned faculty.
All in all, Princeton University is a world-class institution that offers students the opportunity to receive a rigorous education and learn from some of the best minds in the world.
It is a community where students can grow and thrive, and make lifelong friends from all over the world in an environment where young minds are constantly being challenged and older minds are seeking to serve and teach their years' worth of knowledge.
If you are a high school student who is interested in attending Princeton, you should start planning early. Princeton has a very competitive admissions process, and it is important to have strong grades, and extracurricular activities in progress while you still have time.
In addition to that, I definitely recommend visiting the campus and talking to current students to learn more about the university,
student life, and its unique culture it portrays.

This is a very old school with charm and beautiful architecture. I just walked through the campus, but it was quite lovely. I cannot attest to the education, but from what the school has posted everywhere, it seemed like a very “where are your papers?” university, which is quite something. I will not doc any stars because of it, but I was not allowed in the university chapel because of it (only students, faculty, or staff allowed)- I know it’s a private school, but I though these places were supposed to be open to all, like their predecessors in England like Cambridge or Oxford.

The campus is beautiful. It's an arboretum as well. There's a famous rose garden and a nice free museum. You'll also find some of the most pretentious and entitled little monsters south of NYC here. A bastion of "wokeness" and antithetical to academic freedom, it would be wise to avoid Princeton altogether.

It's beautiful!! It's amazing to walk around the campus. It has a very Hogwarts magical vibe. The buildings, the built and everything about this place has a history (the good and the bad). It almost feels like having a connection with that history while you walk through this place.

While Princeton University is often celebrated for its prestigious academic programs and distinguished faculty, there is a notable policy that has been a subject of contention among students and alumni alike: grade deflation. The grade deflation policy, which aims to curb grade inflation and ensure that grades are awarded more stringently, can be seen as unnecessary and even detrimental to the student experience.
Firstly, the policy can foster a hyper-competitive atmosphere, where students are not only competing with the rigorous course material but also with each other for the limited supply of higher grades. This environment can stifle collaboration and the free exchange of ideas, which are vital components of a healthy academic community. Instead of encouraging students to learn and explore intellectually, the policy may push them to focus narrowly on achieving high grades at the expense of deeper understanding and creative thinking.
Moreover, grade deflation can have significant implications for students' futures. In a world where GPAs often play a critical role in graduate school admissions and job opportunities, Princeton students may find themselves at a disadvantage compared to peers from institutions with more lenient grading policies. This can be particularly disheartening for students who have worked diligently and performed well by objective standards, only to have their efforts diminished by a policy that seeks to limit high grades.
Additionally, the stress and anxiety induced by such a stringent grading policy can take a toll on students' mental health and well-being. College is a time for intellectual growth and exploration, but the shadow of grade deflation can loom large over this experience, turning it into a high-stakes competition for academic survival.
While the intention behind grade deflation—to uphold academic integrity and prevent grade inflation—may be commendable, the policy's adverse effects cannot be ignored. An academic institution of Princeton's caliber should aim to cultivate a supportive and encouraging environment where students are motivated to learn and grow, not constrained by unnecessary limitations on their academic achievements.

It's a historical theater, surrounded by Princeton University. Clean, easy to navigate (some stairs/no elevator) there is a bar for cocktails, water, etc., plenty of staff for assistance, and there did not seem to be a bad seat in the house. We were there to see "The Woman in Black", which was excellent. A short walk away is a free parking garage after 5pm.

Just been there for Indian classical music event (Ustad Zakir Hussain). A wonderful, historical place. Like the interiors, the sound was great. Has multiple theaters inside, beautiful setup. Nice parking and restaurants around. Dingi train is just 5 min walk to platform.

Beware there is no elevator. It is a historical theater and it is a treasure. Centrally located, but planning dinner in one of the only two neighboring restaurants nearby can be stressful as many others have the same idea. We will be back for Bruce Hornsby ANY DAY!

Theater was nice. Will call made us pay for an extra ticket that we did not order. We ordered 4 seats next to each other, and the 5th seat was located somewhere else. We explained the situation and how it was no logic to it, and they still made us pay for it. Other than that the experience was very good.

One of the best regional theater venues in the state. Variety of offerings with reasonably priced tickets. Community groups are included and several events are free. The only reason for four stars rather than five is the location of the restrooms.

We attended the performance of Bulrusher last night at McCarter Theater in Princeton. The production was well done and what incredible performances by the entire ensemble. Each of the actor and actresses gave award winning performance especially Jordan Tyson the actress that played Bulrusher. The role was an intense role with so much emotion and Ms Tyson played it brilliantly. It also was nice to be greeted before and after the play by Martin Miller the new Executive Director of McCarter. I have been a subscription subscriber as well as just buying individual tickets and McCarter never fails to show why it’s a Tony Award winning Regional theater. To the entire cast of Bulrusher as well as the set designers, lighting and back of the house crew. Well done!!! Bravo

A great theater for not being in a big city. Quality productions and a true theater experience awaits in this beautiful building. They host a wide variety of events from plays to musical acts to Q&As and more. I enjoyed their annual performance of A Christmas Carol. My group of 10 enjoyed the play thoroughly.

I can't really comment on the outside because I went in the evening but the inside is warm and felt very old school in a good way. There is a small concession in the lobby and they have ushers to help you find your seat. The seating is regular theater seating, rows of fairly comfortable connected seats with balcony seating in the back and exclusive balconies on the sides in the front. We went to a preview showing of A Christmas Carol and they did a very nice job with the acting, scenery, and sound.

The theater is a 5 star! My family and I have made it a traditional to see a Christmas carol every year. This products of Christmas carol was a 2 at best,2 for the amazing costumes. They turned a classic into a politically correct nightmare. Scrooge was played by a woman that didn't have the energy or bitterness, they cut out most of the wonderful singing and dancing at the nephews Christmas party and tiny Tim and Scrooge's story all a thing of the past just to modernize a classic!

We've enjoyed a lot of great shows here. They have also been vigilant about following best COVID-19 protocol, including their encouragement of indoor masking. The latest show we saw was done by the 1491s, an incredible collaboration and one of the few plays led by Indigenous creators and cast. Definitely makes me much more loyal to MaCarter.
Bucks County Playhouse, located in an 18th-century grist mill in New Hope, is a renowned performing arts theater. Having begun its journey as a theater in 1938, the playhouse has hosted great shows and famous actors such as Grace Kelly, Dick Van Dyke, Liza Minelli and Robert Redford. It serves as a testing ground for Broadway plays and actors debut here before moving on to Manhattan.
We went to the "Benny and the Jets: An Elton John Tribute" the show was phenomenal. Theater does require vaccine proof and masks the entire show. Show wasn't sold out, but 80% full theater. Loved the live music, love Elton John and this band's main entertainer sounded and looked like Elton John. It was so moving, I have chills and tears happening throughout the show. My fiancée loved it as our Saturday night out on the town. Encourage people to try this theater and see the other events they have happening.

We came to see New Hope and have a relaxing, rejuvenating day. Never did I think we would run into this 32 yo bartender, Wren, with the wisdom that no 32 yo should ever have!! He not only took care of our food and drink needs…. He was REAL in every sense of the word!
We spent over 2 hours just relaxing and talking. Most amazing bartender we have ever had! And we are in our late 50’s….we’ve had a LOT of bartenders in our day

The Bucks County Playhouse is an excellent place to enjoy a show or a play. It is small with good 👍 seats. You are close enough to the stage,so that you can see and hear everything. Also there is a restaurant and bar 🍸 that is attached to the Playhouse. You can have lunch/dinner before or after the show .Or during intermission, you can go to bar and have a drink. Also there is an outdoor deck, which overlooks the scenic Delaware River. The staff at the Bucks County Playhouse was friendly 😀 and very helpful during my visit
I would recommend visiting the Bucks County Playhouse to 👀 see a show. It's an 👍 great experience!!!

This theater has history. I think my own father once performed here! Great location...right on the Delaware River...and small enough so that all seats are good ones. Limited "star" quality of performers, but that's OK by me. In the summer, sit outside before the doors open and sip a glass of wine. Nice!

Beautiful setting to see a play or a show!! Great staff, too. Also, there's a relatively new restaurant and bar attached for before and after the show, and easy access for a drink at intermission! We've seen plays and concerts there and every time it's fantastic!

Super charming theatre in a picturesque riverside town. Not a bad seat in the house! Valet parking only (at least for our event). They were friendly, but the lot is quite small compared to the size of the theatre. Will definitely be back! Especially if Nicholas Rodriguez is in the show!!

Been so many years since my last visit and so many changes to the theatre, all improvements. The house is small and the seats comfortable. Our seats were good and I suspect there really isn’t a bad seat. We saw a musical play, “Cross That River”. Piano, bass, guitar, drummer and violinist all on stage with a small cast of a few others. It was a great story with a nice lift at the end and encouragement reminding us who we are in this great country! Parking can be a drag in New Hope so be prepared to pay up. We did not avail ourselves to snacks or drinks but it looked like there were some. The town is full of great places to eat and shop so you can make a full day of it. I think it’s time to keep this little gem on my radar.

We came to Buck’s county to see a show at the Buck’s County Playhouse – The Bridges of Madison County starring the great Broadway star, Kate Baldwin.
The area around the theatre is absolutely beautiful. The theatre is situated right on the Delaware river overlooking New Jersey.
The theatre is a renovated historic gristmill right on the water. The seating is nice and comfortable – with a little leg room – its not too tight.
The stage is easily seen from most seats without issue – as the theatre is small-ish.
The sound quality if fantastic - we heard every word and song as clear as can be.
I am glad we came to see this show because otherwise I don’t think I would have known about the town of New Hope and what a charming and historic little town it is.

New Hope is a riverfront town in Bucks County, Pennsylvania that is bustling with shops and restaurants. Tourists can enjoy the view of the Delaware River while riding on the antique coaches of the New Hope Railroad.
We went for the Christmas special Santa's steam engine rail excursion with our toddler. We booked the tickets in advance and just had to park at the station and board the train.
The coach class was a bit crowded but we had the whole coach to ourselves in the First class.
We were greeted by the conductor and others who were very courteous and polite. All employees were wearing a mask and maintained adequate distance.
Santa and Mrs. Santa were present in the 1st class and spent a good amount of time with us and made our toddler feel very special. He was so relaxed and enjoyed the whole trip. He had plenty of room to go around and was very excited to see the Steam Engine.
The whole ride took about an hour and 10 minutes and was very comfortable. They also provide beverages and snacks on board at very reasonable prices.
On the whole a great experience and a must visit if you are in the area. They also have Fall, Spring, Summer rail excursions that are a must try.

The cheapest ticket was 30$ for a 45 minute round trip. The scenery wasn't great but it's a train ride. They have parking at the station its 26$ for 2 hours and 6$ for each 1/2 hr afterwards. There are machines for you to purchase train ride tickets right on the platform. There is also a gift shop and bathrooms at the station. There is also a bathroom on the train.

Train ride is kinda bumpy but an overall nice experience. Very spacious in the seats. The conductor tells you cool facts about the area pertaining to the railroad as you ride. The train station itself is also very lovely. My son was super excited about visiting. Staff very friendly. Parking is really ridiculously overpriced and honestly a nightmare. $50 for 3 hours. Street parking is apparently super iffy.

We did the Traditional Excursion on a coach ticket. The train is really nice and the 1900s music added to the experience. The train was clean and the guide was knowledgeable. All staff was friendly. If you want solely the experience of a ride on a traditional railroad train, then you’ll love it. There isn’t much to see on the actual ride, mostly just houses and trees (which were bare this time of the year, early April). It was a nice experience, not sure I would spend more than $30 bucks per person on it! The ride was 45 minutes, but since it isn’t in a circle, you get the same view twice (just a heads up!).
If you’re going with children, a themed ride might be best for you.

Excellent experience on the steam engine. Service, hospitality, and ambiance were superb 👌. The scenic view was not much, but we enjoyed the atmosphere 😀. Cheese tray and one biscuit basket per couple were served, one could not ask for more, wine was served 4 times, two red and two white.

Fun ride on the train with a steam engine on Labor Day weekend. We picked the air conditioned car because it was about 90 degrees. (The website said these tickets were $45, but on checkout we were charged $50 per ticket, and that was before the $9 service charge. So--a little pricy for a 45-minute ride.) Very friendly and informative staff on the train.

I could see how this can be a nice experience but for us it was an unfortunate flop. Because of the rain the engine kept skipping and the train was jerking a lot and not safe for walking or standing up. And we had to stop on the tracks for a long time and couldn't really enjoy the ride. The hostess in our car was super nice though and tried to make up for the delay. The hot chocolate tasted horrible so I didn't drink it, but my husband and daughter did. My husband got nauseous and my daughter was throwing up for hours. I was fine. We spent nearly $500 for this experience and I unfortunately do not think it was worth it, so I do not think we will ever return in the future. I wish this wasn't our experience.

On a weekend visit to New Hope, and while walking by the station, my wife and I decided to check out the train.
It departs from the station each hour during the day. We purchased coach tickets, which were about $30 per person. The other two options were first class (about $50 per), and open air (not sure if the cost was different). Outside of sitting in the dining cart, the experience in coach wasn't really different.
The ride was smooth, and very informative. The conductor gives local facts along the way. It heads about 20 minutes in one direction, then turns around to head back to the station. Total time was about 45 minutes.
An experience worth doing if you never have.

I can't believe I grew up in Bucks County and only found out about this place like a month ago.
My wife and I did the fall foliage train ride, lounge seating first class. It was a very nice ride, despite it being a bit late in the season to see much foliage. The conductor provides a fair amount of education information on the ride. Service was quick, but the beer selection is greatly lacking (at least it was craft beers though). The booths are quite tight FYI. I'm 6'-4" and 330lbs. It was a squeeze for me to get in there, but I made it. They provide a deck of cards, which was fun for my wife and I.
Fairs are quite pricey, which doesn't surprise me given the location. We just booked another Christmas ride, but we chose to do the "Traditional" ride instead of Christmas themed ride, because it's about 1/3 the price. Also, fair warning, parking in their lot is very expensive! We went to get lunch after the fall ride (2hrs + lunch), and parking came out to $56. You can do meter parking on the other side of the tracks (by triumph brewing) for a fraction of that cost.
We are excited to go back in a little over a month!

The traditional excursion in the open air cart was SO much fun and I can’t wait to go back. Staff was friendly and helpful and there are drinks available for purchase during the ride. I’m only giving it 4 stars because of the outrageous cost of parking. $26 for 2 hours or $62 for the whole day. We didn’t have time to find parking elsewhere and make the train or we would’ve. There are other lots nearby for much cheaper.

Well, I'm going to post this again. Because apparently the railroad doesn't like their bad reviews. This place is a total rip off! I spent two hundred dollars on two first class tickets in the dining car that had no food... Well unless you want to count the stale pretzel that you had to buy... For the bags of chips you had to buy. We got a 20 minute Bumpy train ride. Which we couldn't see anything because the inside lights were on.... The bartender was the only thing that made that trip tolerable... Then you reach your big destination where there is a quote unquote festival... Which included one food truck.. With a mile long line... And a very very long line for any sort of Halloween haunt.. We stood in the mud. There was no dry area to go to with no cover or shelter... Tried to eat but all the picnic tables were wet... So we got soaked... To top it off . We didn't know until we already were there that they don't accept cash at all... Nowhere in the gift shop or at the bar or anywhere.... Then the topping on the cake was being charged. $32 without any notice. Just to park our car right there in their own lot !!!
Please don't waste your money... It was absolutely horrible...
They should be ashamed to call themselves new hope... It's more like no hope!
I usually don't go through the time and effort of leaving reviews on Google. But for this I had to!

Had a great experience on the New Hope Railroad for the Christmas experience with Santa. My 3 year old daughter loved it. Santa did a great job along with the bango player. The conductor and all the staff were also very polite and helpful too. I didn't know what to expect when reading the other reviews but we gave it a shot and were pleasantly surprised. It's definitely for kids and if you go in with the expectations that it's not about you and it's about how happy they are with the experience it's worth it.

Such a wonderful experience! I went here on a date with my boyfriend and we loved it. The narrations throughout the train ride were informative and caught your attention. My only con was I felt the audio could be a bit louder. The wine was fantastic and I loved that it was all local wines and beers. Our hostess Mya was wonderful. She was attentive, sweet and very hospitable. Overall this was a great trip and I would recommend it. Thank you New Hope Railroad and Mya! Definitely will be coming back.

It was OK. Scenery was pretty. We took the 4pm train end of October. It would have been good if they dimmed the lights inside the train car to see better as it got dark. Not sure if coach tickets we were supposed to have a guide or not, but pretty sure we were supposed to have one. Also the music was so low you couldn't hear it very well. Wish we could have upgraded before the ride to first or platinum class.

A small fairytale town that is filled with souvenir shops, restaurants, beautiful houses and historical sites. One of them and the most important is the railway. With roots dating back to 1891, when the tracks were laid by the North-East Pennsylvania Railroad, the New Hope Railroad has become a landmark in the region. The trip was about 30 minutes, during which time you can enjoy beautiful views and listen to stories about the creation of this road. After the trip, you can walk around the city, or go to the park that is located across the river. Everything is within walking distance. You will get a lot of pleasure and spend an unforgettable weekend or holiday.
Sesame Place is an amusement park with many fun activities for kids, including a water slide and rides. It's located in Middletown, Pennsylvania, which is about an hour from Philadelphia.
Fun rides for younger kids., the girls sure had a nice time. The parade was totally mind blowing 🤩. But food pricing is definitely overrated, 1 bottle of water costs over $4.99 plus taxes. I drunk at least 5 of them, I can’t imagine such ridiculousness.🙆🏾♀️

Great place for young kids. Lots of rides and half the park has water-related activities. Would advise going early or later in the day (opening time or after 3). Otherwise kids will enjoy. Cute parade of all the Sesame Street characters. Check pricing and perhaps bring your own snacks and water.

Today started off very well even though it was light rain and kind of chilly. Upon arrival we asked the staff if the park would remain open and they said yes. The park opened at 10 and around 1:3 they advised the park was closing, there was no lightning no thundering and no additional explanation. Staff advised all guest to either request for a sunny day pass via the app or website or venture to customer service in the front of the park. I went to customer service since I had already purchased parking and a reserve space for the 3pm parade. Manager Zach refunded my parking and the reserved space for the parade but without the tax so it didn't match the price it was purchased for and he could not provide an explanation why. He just said that's how it is & when I asked to speak to another manager, Zach Advised he was the only person I can speak to. I just said OK and I knew at that point I was just gonna need to contact Corporate to provide them some clear feedback on the experience. I am from Georgia and visiting family in Virginia. I decided to take my Little to Sesame Street for the day which is a 4 1/2, so you can imagine how disappointed I am to have only been park for less than two hours and not only not receive a refund appropriately but given a sunny day pass option. I did advise to Zach that sunny day pass is not equivalent for this type of situation, since the weather did not impact the park, closing, the park chose to close on their own, without any additional explanation. But from the looks of it, it was due to lack of staff. There was no thunder or no lightning and the rain actually stopped at 12:30. anyone thinking about going to Sesame Street try the Florida location. Longhorn Location is not worth the money nor the lack of customer service, under construction rides, ill prepared staff, and so on and so on. I truly expected better.

We love Sesame Place! There are rides and roller coasters for everyone. My kids feel safe tuning around the place and enjoy all the rides because they are kid friendly! A few things I would change is the food as it truly sucks and it is overpriced; for the admission price the park charges the food should be better. Also the candy they gave for Halloween war poor in comparison to your regular trick or treat!

We had a great time here with a 3 yr old. Staff was enthusiastic, we didn’t encounter a single grumpy employee. The performers at the parade were wonderful, they put on a great show while keeping kids safe and entertained. If you come on a weekday, the lines are short (if there at all) and the park is less crowded. The park was also notably clean and well-kept, none of the rides appeared to be run-down.
Here’s a tip: BRING YOUR OWN FOOD. You cannot take it into the park. However, you can leave the park and come back (they stamp your wrist) and they have an area of picnic tables and umbrellas just outside by the preferred parking. Bring your own food and keep it in your car, the park is so compact that’s it’s very easy to head back to your car, even with little ones! Food prices were HIGH inside of the park, $12 for a hot dog, $7 for a pretzel…just a few examples.
Also check out their season passes, especially if you’re coming with a group. The gold pass gives you what is essentially 5 tickets (the pass holder plus 4 guests a season) for exactly half the cost.

An amazing experience! Who doesn't love Sesame Street! It was orderly and super clean. Even though it's "off season" right now, there's still so much to see and do. Buying tickets on- line is a breeze. The park is Cashless so bring a card. You can also convert your cash to a temporary debit card while you're there, they have kiosks available. They have everything to accommodate everyone. It's great. They even have Sensory areas. As far as I could see there are only Gender Specific bathrooms, though. Plenty of parking, too. The day can be rather expensive so plan a budget. Lol (One clothing patch cost me $23.00 but it was worth it) Have a funtastic time!

Very nice experience. Sesame place was very clean. Very busy and very popular. It was 95 degrees and the water park was amazing. The sprinklers and shallow pool areas are nice for kids and adults to relax. There are changing areas and plenty of bathrooms. They have special sensory rooms for anyone who needs them. The bathrooms are freezing cold especially nice when it is very hot outside. The bathrooms are clean. The staff are friendly. The parade was nice and fun and entertaining. During the week it's about 13 minutes long. On the weekend it's longer at 30 minutes with more entertainment according to a friend who stayed over the weekend in their sesame place hotel. It's nice and strict here. Security is strict here and keeps the park safer. The preferred parking attendant was very nice and friendly and helped me by directing me to a good spot. Upon entering you see New Jersey police standing by keeping law and order. Overall the park is nice and clean. Come early to beat the crowds. Good place for the kids to play and socialize. The park is handicap accessible in all forms. Special needs children friendly environment. I would recommend this place.

My kids love this place. Prices are reasonable compared to others in the same category. Bring sunscreen. Lots of walking. Water attractions close at 6 pm. Then last parade at 7pm and closes at 8. Early enough to get the kids whined down before bed. There are many shows and opportunities for the kids to meet (visually) their favorite characters. Plenty of water fun. Some rides for older kids. My 13 year old has been coming since age 6 and she still enjoys it. Download the app for maps and hours/schedule of activities. Highly recommend.

Sesame Place is awesome for younger kids (and their adults!) It is low key and relaxed. There are lines but they are relatively short especially compared to other amusement parks. It wasn't especially busy but it was a weekday.
There are water rides intermixed with dry rides and it doesn't seem to matter what order you do them in. Everyone there is in swimming suits the entire time. There are water zones where kids can play. There are water slides, and 2 roller coasters. The wooden coaster is the only ride I saw that you have to be a certain height to ride. All of the other rides smaller kids can ride with an adult.
There are a ton of photo ops and the characters walk around the sesame street buildings. They have a photo card that photographers will scan & take your pictures. You can buy them at a kiosk but most will let you take a picture with your phone or they will even take it for you.
The food... is expensive! And very limited. I would recommend bringing a water bottle (they do have water fountains where you can fill them up at.

This is a great place for the kids to have a fun time. We visited and 7 hours went so fast it was unbelievable. So much fun!! My one problem was the staff at the food center big birds burgers. Look for 4 kids and 2 adults it was $114 for chicken nugs fries and a drink for each of us. You can not bring any food inside. The girls serving the food at the pickup counter at least 3 I interacted with were so RUDE it was unbelievable! For paying all that money you deserve a smile and a response not just a mean stare. Even rude to my kid when he asked for BBQ SAUCE. they are young prob don’t make much but just be kind and if u are miserable find another job. Other then that a coke bottle is $6! They take absolutely no CASH anymore. I would not visit again but it is a nice day trip outing for the family. The characters are very nice and patient with the kids. Water and park are extremely clean!

I have been loving this place ever since I was about 4.Parades are Fantastic! They get you to move and groove every now and then. The Character's Include(That I saw on most recent visit for meet in greets) Elmo, Count(excited about), Rudolph (Holiday exclusive),Big Bird, and Bert and Ernie.I am very happy with this choice of characters for the day. We(my family)has time to see them all!Shows are Marvelous! But,I recommend the characters should interact with the kids more and not interact on only the front row.Rides are amazing 😍!Love them!!I recommend this place for 2 and up!Rides for all ages and groups.I come here multiple times a year even though it is a long ride from my home.TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!If they let me I would give this place a million out of 5 stars :).(I have showed pictures of the characters along with this review)

This is the best place to go in summer, with amusement facilities and water parks. There will be a parade at 3:00pm,So you have to take a seat in advance. There are also restaurants, hamburgers and hot dogs in the park.

Sesame Place Philadelphia is awsome & I absolutely love coming here throughout the season!!
They have something for everyone from rides, shows, meet & greets & the parades which are awesome!!!
Dine with Elmo & friends is such an amazing dinning experience!! While it's expensive: I believe it's absolutely worth it especially when it's an all-you can eat buffet plus the characters come see you at your table for close interactions as well put on a great show to entertain the guests & I would definitely recommend it when visiting!!!
The meet & greets is wonderful! You're never too big or small for furry hugs & the Sesame Street friends are all spectacular!!!
Lastly the Sesame Street parades: they're spectacular especially when the music is upbeat, fun & all your favorite Sesame Street friends come down the street spreading joy, fun & laughter to everyone!!

Overall good experience. Arrived right when the gates opened at 1pm on a Sunday and got right in. Only reason for 4 out of 5 ⭐️ at 1 point we did wait almost 30 minutes for a rather large souvenir cup to arrive which we paid for and the park was promoting. Should have been readily available but clearly the lady behind the snack stand was not prepared or given the proper cups to be sold.
Other than that highly recommend.

Had a great time, kids enjoyed themselves. As well as a few adults. I was very impressed with the parade, the hard work that was put into the performance shows, as well as all the other shows. Excellent job.Downside the way, consumers revert cash to a card, then charge 5% in the process.

Sesame Place Philadelphia is an absolute gem for families with young children. Every visit is filled with laughter, joy, and endless opportunities for our kids to simply be kids.
As members with passes, we've had the pleasure of experiencing all that Sesame Place has to offer, and it never fails to exceed our expectations. Recently, we attended the unveiling of the newly-redone merry-go-round, and it was a delight to see the excitement on our children's faces as they experienced the revamped attraction.
From the thrilling rides to the entertaining shows and character interactions, there's never a dull moment at Sesame Place. It's a place where our kids can let loose, explore, and create unforgettable memories.
Overall, Sesame Place Philadelphia is a haven for family fun and adventure. We cherish every moment spent here and look forward to many more great times ahead.

Amazing place for a complete family fun with young kids. They have many drives which are young kid friendly. The splash pool are an amazing attraction for the kids. The place can be crowded so be prepared to wait for the drives. The food is expensive but that is expected. Plan ahead and book your tickets online in advance to avoid waiting in queues.
Peddlers Village is a large shopping mall in Lahaska that features 65 shops and an inn. The mall is popular during the holidays as it features many restaurants and bars.
You gotta go here!We went to peddlers village the other night while they were having a fire&ice thing going on along with a cute scavenger hunt! We had a lot of fun! We also like going here all the time because they are pet friendly you can always expect to see some doggys 🐕 walking around! It was really nice! If you've never been you have to go they have a ton of festivals going on throughout the year!

Great first time experience. The shops were very welcoming and cozy. The ideal spot for a holiday date, and you don't have to spend any money! With that being said, you probably don't want to spend money because the boutique shops could be a bit pricey. We arrived late afternoon so we experienced both lights on and off. Plenty of walking so wear comfortable footwear. Make sure you have a map and dress accordingly. Enjoy!

After my wonderful wine flight at Angelico Winery, only 20 min drive to this beautiful area. Unique shops spread out the whole little town, gardening are nicely down, a lot photo opportunity.
Great for family visit as well! Nice go spent 2-3 hours.

Very nice place to visit during the holidays. The drawback is parking, and towards our departure it was difficult to even walk on the sidewalks. The stores seem to be more kitschy than my previous visit. We stopped to eat at Hart's and were lucky to grab a seat at the bar due to the 2 hour wait!! Lines were super long all over the village. You really have to be patient and love people to get in and around everywhere. We drove there to celebrate our 1st anniversary, it was nice, but think going up there during the year would be better.

Visited this place for the first time and just fell in love with it! It has everything you can wish for in a village - great food, shops, events! We attended the Octoberfest and enjoyed the food, music and games. Also, saw the scarecrow contest and it was amazing to see how creative scarecrows could be. We also enjoyed the antique car show. Can't wait to be back for Christmas!

Many Interesting little shops and events appealing to a wide variety of interests. good food and family fun. Been here a couple times, this past visit was the first during the day, very pretty there at night during the holidays. Old world feel with all the brick layed pathways and old buildings.

Great atmosphere with lots of fun, diverse shops! Beautiful gardens and water features in the middle. Always nice to walk around with friends and browse the shops. This place has been around for at least 20 years and it looks so well managed and taken care of! During the month of July they had the Sand sculptures on display. One major downfall is it’s not very wheelchair friendly throughout.

We came for a relaxing day trip to Peddlers Village for the Holiday lights and shops. My family and I really enjoyed the Christmas/Holiday feel of the entire village. The village has a timeless vibe and feels like a winter wonderland (without the snow ;) it was too warm and early for any snow).
Really enjoyed how friendly the local folks working at these boutique shops. Some shops were a bit pricey and also some pretty affordable ones too.
If you plan a trip up there, make sure to make reservations at the local restaurants. They book up really fast, so we couldn't get one. They did have a few food trucks that looked pretty interesting. We drove and ate at a place further away from the Village.

First time experience, went to the sand sculpture exhibit and they are very elaborate with so many details. There were 6 of them spread out throughout the village so it's like a little scavenger hunt as you go to find them.
We went on a Monday because it sounds like this is the type of place to get packed on the weekend. There is free parking everywhere at all ends of the village. It is hilly with some brick sidewalks but stroller/wheelchair accessible. There are so many little shops and restaurants to check out and public bathrooms. Overall it was a fun day and worth our 3 hour drive to get there. Check out the website for the events going on daily and throughout the year, because there's a lot happening at this place especially around different holidays/seasons.

Displays around r beautiful -absolutely wonderful landscaping as a horticultural buff.
my only complaint would be it is a bit pricey to shop and I'm unable to take my father here anymore because it's not very senior friendly or just not a handicap friendly area. those who may be wheelchair-bound there's really not wheelchair entrances

In the area visiting family for Christmas holiday. Peddlers Village is a charming area to visit, shop, dine, and partake of holiday festivities. Be sure to check local listing for activities, dining, and shopping hours.
Typically, it is fairly crowded on the weekends. However, we went on a Monday afternoon to see the holiday lights and partake of the Free Smores. Most of the shops were closing at 5 or 6, but some are open later. Dining was open longer hours as well, and there are some very good options for the hungry traveler!! Button wood has delicious burgers, and Nina's Ice Cream and waffles is worth a drop in!
Folks in the village are helpful and friendly, and I will definitely be back to do some holiday shopping next year.

Easy drive into PA.
Lots of parking in different lots on the outskirts of the "village". Walk and browse all the different shops and a few restaurants.
Went on a Tuesday, zero crowds, no lines, immediate seating at the restaurant.
Shops include candles, sports, last name crests, popcorn, bakery, jerky, honey, kitchen gadgets, jewelry, clothing, bourbon, BBQ sauces, and more.
Grounds all lit up with Christmas lights, gazebo has Christmas tree for pics, nice day, nice atmosphere.
Hart's Tavern was great for dinner, good prices, and the Kitchen Sink desert was AWESOME!!!

A Magical Christmas Wonderland at Peddler's Village!
Peddler's Village is truly a holiday haven that exceeded all my expectations! I recently spent a delightful day there, immersing myself in the festive spirit of Christmas, and I couldn't be happier with the experience.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the breathtaking display of a million lights that transformed Peddler's Village into a twinkling wonderland. Every corner was adorned with festive decorations, creating a magical atmosphere that instantly put me in the holiday mood.
As a shopping enthusiast, I was thrilled by the variety of unique boutiques and specialty shops that Peddler's Village boasts. From charming gift shops to stylish clothing stores, there was something for everyone. The Christmas-themed merchandise was especially enchanting, making it the perfect place to find one-of-a-kind gifts for my loved ones.
The attention to detail in the decorations and displays was impressive, and it was evident that the staff put a lot of effort into creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The festive music playing in the background added to the overall joyous atmosphere.
What sets Peddler's Village apart is not just the shopping, but the sense of community and holiday cheer that permeates the entire area. Families and friends were gathered around, enjoying the festive ambiance and creating lasting memories together.
Whether you're a local or just visiting, Peddler's Village during the Christmas season is an absolute must-see. I highly recommend this charming destination for anyone looking to embrace the magic of the holidays. It's a gem that sparkles brighter than the million lights that adorn its streets!

If I could describe Peddler's Village in one word, it would be charming. I discovered this place through a friend's instagram posting, and I immediately fell in love with this place prior to visiting. I first drove down here over a year ago, and I just loved browsing through all of the cute little shops. It kind of reminds me of Olde Mystic Village in Mystic, CT. But be forewarned that it can get quite costly, but this place has a store for whatever you are looking for. They have an abundance of parking spaces and clean restrooms, but I would suggest going early as this place gets crowded rather quickly, especially during the holidays. I definitely recommend anyone, whether they live in NY, NJ, PA, or beyond, to come check this place out.

A true eastern Pennsylvania Gem of the perfect spot for a Countryside Road trip. If you want the quintessential Hallmark experience you must stop by Peddlers village. The shopping, the landscape and the total ambience makes for the perfect daytime getaway by yourself or with the family. Cobblestone's Boutique shops and seasonal events make for an enjoyable experience. We love the ease of navigating through the village and there are shops for everyone from jewelry clothing food wine and plenty of dining options. On the day we went we experienced the October Fall Foliage theme with fun and exciting scarecrow scattered throughout the village. The weather was perfect and the local musicians added to the ambiance. A very Charming town to say the least.

Beautiful little village to enjoy some Christmas lights and check out local shops and restaurants! Loved the quaint feel and variety of the shops, from the Cloak & Wand Harry Potter themed store to Fehrenbach’s Cuckoo Clock’s, there’s truly something for everyone here. Loved that they have a pretty busy calendar of events going on throughout the year too. Parking is kind of a pain (give yourself plenty of time to find parking), but we’ll definitely be back again.
The Parx Casino, also known as "Racino", provides a combination of live horse racing, slots, table games and poker. It boasts an array of restaurants and bars for visitors to enjoy during their stay. The grand opening event is set to coincide with the start of the Bird's preseason games. Games are a great way to relieve stress and fatigue after touring. Visitors can indulge in delicious food and beverage options at the Parx Grill, although it may be considered pricey by some patrons.
Went here for a concert. The place is very modern and appealing. The venue for the concert was very personal and elegant. The casino floor is well laid out work multiple areas for gaming. A few exclusive table areas specifically set for private games or competitions. They have a few restaurants within the casino, as well as a fast food area for a quick bite. Overall this place was great. I'm almost certain anyone would Iike it.

We enjoyed an amazing dinner with friends at the Parx Grill. My wife and I enjoyed the professional skills of our Server Scott. He meticulously handle our order from our special drink requests, starters, entrees and dessert. The Chilean Sea Bass was delicious and my wife's Salmon Oscar was over the top. We couldn't resist the Creme Brulee with Berries for dessert. Scott always treated us with the best of care and attention. His wine pouring skills are also a "show" in itself. Thank you Scott for making us feel so special.
Our evening continued in the Theater with a Holiday Show by Martina McBride. Every seat in the theater is a great seat and the huge video screens, amazing acoustics and sound system made her show really come alive. Martina's performance was spectacular. After the show, our visit in the Casino made our evening even more special. We really enjoy the variety of slots, games and tables they offered. Lady luck was with us. Parx does such a great job taking care of their guests and we felt very special. Thank you Parx and Scott.

I play poker often, and also travel a lot as well. Parx has one of the best poker rooms on the east coast. They really need to bring back the big stax tournament series or something of the sort, and make use of that beautiful massive old poker room they used to use.
Definitely plenty of cash game action for all different stakes 24/7.
One thing also nice about Parx Poker is the amount of mixed games they have. This is the only poker room that has a lot of mixed cash games regularly in the area.
Big casino, but easy to navigate. Not completely impressed by the food selections throughout the property and think they need to make better use of the event center.

Bought my dog a Patty with cheese. He loved it. Will go back. ONLY ISSUE I HAD... TRUCK PARKING is non existent in that area. I was chased off after about 3 hours. Told I couldn't park there. Here is a picture of the parking lot from my windows. (OH and the amazing burger) Truckers have A LOT of MONEY that they would spend at this location. The beach was calling but the weather didn’t agree with that decision. So after eating we did a random Google search and found escape rooms were not happening on a Sunday after 6pm, but Axe throwing was available. We came thru the doors of this Lumberjack playground and it was clean with plenty of open space. Immediately we were greeted by Rob (sidenote - ROB is the MVP and made the night what it was…definitely invited to the cookout; he is family now). My whole group got involved they had many different games and competitions which works for all ages. Our group consisted of ages 10-68 and everyone was engaged. Don't go here, this place is terrible. If you like serene views and a super nice walk, just avoid. My wife and I did have a great time, but we're into that sort of thing. Nature and kayaking, happy people in the sun in a nice place. Awful. We stayed there for a while and made plans to go back. It's a place our daughter would certainly enjoy too so that's another big strike. We're gonna have to bring her there after she's born and we'll all make some really nice family memories. Gross. Picnicking and teaching her how to ride bike and Rollerblade along the nice paved trail with a view of the water. It seems to stretch on that way for miles. We're all gonna totally love it, but for you I don't know about this place. The ice cream truck was even there. We will definitely want to hit that up. I'm really looking forward to it. If you're into that sort of thing.

Had an amazing day out here. Very accessible but feels wild and natural at the same time. Saw many blue jays and vultures. Stained my hands on walnuts and fell out of a tree but I can't blame the park for that.

Historic, intimate performing arts venue for live music & comedy shows by local & national acts.
Had a complete blast, a really good time strolling down memory lane with this act, AM Radio. I'm a pro musician and have a decent ear for well played, well rehearsed acts. These guys and gal delivered. They play there often opening up for other acts, so if you get the chance to see them, they will not disappoint.

Went to the theater for the Queen cover band recently. Almost Queen is amazing. They do a great job looking similar to the band. Each individual was wearing similar clothing to the band as well. I really loved the performance, theater employees are very nice. The going and finding a seat was easy. Overall a great experience. Although the parking system is an actual cost, cash only so that wasn't known. Would've saved me a hassle had I known.

I recently saw Kick here. While the theater is on the smaller side, it is very well laid out. The acoustics in the building were very good. Like most smaller venues, the downside is you're packed in. Though that was to be expected.

I've been here a handful of times over the last 2 or 3 decades I've lived in the area.... Mostly with the kids for summer/library activities. I'm SO GLAD I finally got around to doing "dinner and a show"! (Restaurant review, separate.) We picked a comedy show, got cabaret seating. The whole place is just the right size for this - not too big, not too small. We never felt squished or crowded at our table, yet there was also a decent crowd. There is a bar in the lobby, so I got to have a nice drink at the table. 🍺 The comedy show was FUNNY! Such a great experience, all-around! Plus, tickets were reasonably priced! 3 times as pricey or more to go to a similar show down the city, plus it was just a 5 minute drive home, here. Plenty of parking.... Totally looking forward to coming back - both for the library/family event they do every summer, AND for dinner & a show sans kids!

Sellersville Theater is a beautiful, intimate venue. It is very well cared for, the staff is friendly, and the bathrooms are clean. There isn't a bad seat in the theater. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Sellersville Theater is a great place to go see bands play out. They have a small bar. The theater is so nice and they have such friendly employees. Go check out a show. You'll have a great time. TIP: Go early if you want to get a good parking spot!

Saw The Seldom Scene. I think that this concert was one of the best that I have ever been to, simply because first I was so close to the stage - every seat is the best seat in the house! Second was because The Seldom Scene was one man down because of Covid. Their fiddle player tested positive this morning and this band had to on the spot make changes to pretty much every single song without rehearsing the change. They lost their cues to come in, a lead singer, a harmonizer, a fiddle player. I laughed so hard as the improvised and laughed with each other, made mistakes and just had fun with their mistakes and the audience. We ate it up because it was so real, so personal and special to be able to witness these incredibly talented musicians be humble and human. Bluegrass at it's finest! I couldn't have asked for a better time!

I see a lot of concerts and this is my favorite small venue. About 300 seats means you're up close and personal with the performers.
I live about 2 hours away so I stay next door at the Washington House Hotel, which is owned by the same family as the Theater. The staff/volunteers at the venue are really nice people too.
Cool part is, due to it's intimate setting, some performers have meet and greets and even then they usually mingle with fans after the show.
If you see a show there you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful, historic theater! We got tickets for Jared James Nichols and were not disappointed! Intimate setting, great acoustics, tables of 4 in front allow a closeness to performers not found in many venues. Parking was free, great selection of snacks, beers, drinks and wines, complimentary ear plugs. Loved it!

I suppose this is probably a great theater to see a nice, calm band or catch a play or smaller production or something. This is an "intimate" venue. The show we went to, Celtic Nova, is a rock/folk/metal/high energy band. There was no space to move around, stand up, nor dance. There were tables set up in the very front that might have served for a dance floor but nooooo. It seems there's a bit of an older demographic here. It's difficult to just sit through a show. We ended up following them to Poughkeepsie, NY and joining them on stage there, which totally made up for it!
Update; we're seen a couple bands here now and same review. Tame and lame, but at least intimate.

Just saw Doug Church perform and it was amazing. He looked and sounded just like Elvis. Good sense of humor as well. The venue is cozy. Just as I remembered it from watching movies there as a kid. The acoustics in the theater are excellent. I'm looking forward to checking out more shows in the future.
Overall, our experience here was wonderful. The vineyard is beautiful and very well taken care of. We did a wine tasting and every option was delicious. It's a drizzly Thursday on vacation, so what do you do? You don't whine about it, you wine it! As luck would have it, I stumbled upon Plagido's Winery and was better for it. A small, family-owned winery, they take pride in everything they do and it shows. Each wine was masterfully poured by owner Candice, who imparted her wine wisdom with each chosen option. Locals (aka The Boys of Summer) stopped in for a glass of their favorite of the month. It's so nice to know that it's not just a stop on a wine tasting map, but also a place where people come to enjoy the wines over and over. I love the familiarity of that. All their wines are made from grapes grown either on their property or from other local properties, without sulfites, and the quality showed. It must have, because I left there with a case of their wares. So now I, and my friends to whom I will gift some of them, will all benefit!

Had the best time here ! I made plans to meet a friend at another local winery for tasting & when she was running late , they were not accommodating or kind, so we switched to plan B and showed up at Sharrott when it was busy with no reservation. They could not have been more kind and accommodating. On top of that , the food & wine was fantastic! The mushroom flatbread & pork belly were my favorite and all the dry whites were lovely . Beautiful place, great food & drink and beautiful people! Can’t wait to go back again .** I also wants to acknowledge the bartender Jasmine as well as our waitress Karen who were both fantastic !

I have come here for years but have only recently returned after moving out of state. The menu is more extensive and every dish I have tried is delicious. The items are priced incredibly fairly and there is so much flavor. The wine, of course, is what keeps me coming back. I prefer dry whites and there is an excellent selection. Pours are generous and the options for flights are great. The service, no matter the time or day, is dependable and is paramount to the experience. Ashley, one of the servers on staff, is so kind, patient, and accommodating! I highly recommend Sharrott to locals and those passing through. Also I have to mention Brian and Mindy - the musicians that have become icons. They are incredibly talented and I hope to see them again at Sharrott soon!

I would definitely go back and recommend you go for a day-date, brunch or just because like we did. The interior was also very beautiful. And let me not forget that they had live music!!

Very open restaurant with outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is on a hill and somewhat dangerous lol but very cute overlooking the vineyard. The waitstaff serves indoor and outdoor so its easy for your order to be late or forgotten while sitting outside. For more attentive waiting I would suggest going off peak for a better experience. Wine is great ! Food is also good. I loved the fig jam on the charcuterie cheese plate. The crab cakes were also tasty.

We frequent Sharrot, since we really love the wine choices and the food is amazing! Our server, Ashley, was wonderful. The young man and woman working at the front, however, were not pleasant at all and were quite rude. As was another male server as we were being seated for our reservation. My husband made reservations for my birthday almost 2 weeks prior. When we arrived for our reservation time, the man and woman at the front told us that we only had 30 minutes to order since they would be closing early for comedy night. We were unaware of this prior to our arrival and already had other guests joining us on the way. If we would've known ahead of time, we would have made reservations elsewhere. We were told, "it was all over social media that they would be closing early". We aren't frequently on social media, so that wasn't the best way for us to know. Also, a reservation time for 4 should not have been available, if last call would be 4:30. I explained the situation to our server, Ashley, and was upset and contemplating just leaving on my birthday and not ordering. She was so understanding and was able to extend our time. I really appreciate her helping make my birthday special. I do not appreciate the other rude staff. Thankfully, there are so many other winery and restaurant choices in Hammonton!

The people at Balic really know their wines! I am pretty much a novice when it comes to wine and I told the gentleman that and he was very kind and he suggested some things that I could start out with. Let me tell you everything that he thought I would like, I really did! I don’t think they have any bad wines. He was very happy to chat with us about food and wine as long as we wanted. My friend and I stocked up. We can’t wait to come again. Our only regret is that we didn’t bring a nice cheese tray with us to eat in there outside eating area. We will do that next time for sure!

Nice variety of wines. The free wine tasting was a plus and meeting Mariah was a bonus. What a sweet dog. You can walk around freely and enjoy the beautiful vinyards. There is seating inside and outside and you can enjoy the beautiful view from wherever you choose to sit. This was a BYOF (bring your own food) type of place which I love because some places charge so much just for cheese and crackers. You can bring outside food or snacks or even have food delivered to you while you enjoy a nice bottle or 2 of their delicious wine. There is also parking and the place was clean. We had the Cream White wine which was my personal favorite. The only thing missing was a bucket of ice to keep the bottle cold while there. My husband and I loved Balic Winery. I definitely recommend it and will be back for sure.

The Liberty Bell is an iconic American historical landmark, originally cast in Great Britain but recast in Philadelphia to adorn the State House. It became a symbol of liberty and hope for advocates throughout the 19th century, ringing to call the Pennsylvania Assembly to meetings. The bell's famous crack remains to this day, and it has been adopted by many others as their symbol.
We got there fairly early as soon as they opened and so the wait was very brief.
The entrance is free and there are no timed tickets etc necessary.
There is security and scanners- so plan for the wait. No food and drink allowed - so plan for the coffee to be done as well. :)
The exhibit is wonderful- the Bell quite spectacular. The Park Rangers are all very pleasant and engaging. The backdrop of the Bell against the tower in the Independence Hall is quite stunning and humbling.
Highly recommend this stop. Also the exhibit on the display in the center was very good as well.

Must do if you go to Philadelphia. We went early on a weekday morning soon after it opened and experienced really no wait other than getting our pictures with the bell. Some decent historical information to see before you get to the bell. Without a large crowd, it really doesn’t take much time to check this out at all. No tickets or admission fee required. Just walk up and go in.

If you're in Philadelphia, make sure to visit this place. Depends on the time and day you visit, it could be crowded, but the line moves quickly. Before reaching the Bell, it's a good idea to read some intriguing historical information. The surrounding area is also quite nice.

This is nice place lots of history, the Liberty Bell star of show. The wait was about 15 minutes and they made sure to move the line very quickly this was an amazing experience to see not just “Is Liberty Bell”. But the history of the Bell and what it means just as Americans, But to others from the other parts of the world. It is something for everyone to see and take how lucky you are to live in the United States.

It's been a very long time since I've been to the Liberty Bell, certainly prior to 2003 when they built the new building. The new exhibit was stunning - the layout was easy to follow, there was so much to read and learn, and they had a good mix of audio/visual to plain reading. Such an important part of our nation's history!

Pros:
Historical significance
Educational exhibits
Interactive displays
Clean and well-maintained facilities
Convenient location
Cons:
Can be crowded, especially on weekends
Lines can be long, especially during peak times
Overall, I would highly recommend the Liberty Bell to anyone interested in American history. The bell itself is a powerful symbol of freedom and democracy, and the exhibits and displays do a great job of explaining its history and significance. The interactive displays are also a lot of fun, and they help to make learning about history more engaging.

The amount of history enveloped in this, Liberty Bell is unfathomable.
This place is busy at all times of the day, so you can expect at least a 15 minute wait. To see the bell itself, there are no tickets required. Simply join the line and go through security before you are able to see it.
The exhibit is pretty nice, and it is incredible to see the bell itself.
I highly recommend going across the street to the visitor center for even more exhibits and videos.

06/20/23 - short line, not particularly busy, weather was perfect.
I love the preservation of history! It was equally viewable all the way around. Plenty to read and look at while standing in line to see the bell itself! Make the time, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. There was not much of a line at all. Total time in and out was less than an hour.

The entire Historic District should be explored on foot only. The building in which the Liberty Bell is showcased is nice with a lawn and the experience starts with a history and significance of this great bell and how it was a symbol for liberty and freedom not just for Americans, but for many global situations.
The entire trip at Liberty Bell would take about 40 minutes to an hour, culminating with a few moments at the Bell itself.
Your trip to Philadelphia is not complete without this.

So, we went on a Wednesday & it looks like the schools do their field trips on Wednesdays too, just like NYC. The line was really long. You can see the bell from the outside windows, but you can't see the crack. You can get tickets (free) but it doesn't look like that will help with the line to get in. There is a lot of information to read all around so there is a lot to learn. The grounds are beautiful and full of interesting information to read at every turn

Excellent FREE piece of American History to explore. They have lots of plaques inside the visitors center describing how the bell was made, when it rang, where its traveled to, how the crack was formed, and more. Across the street from Independence Hall, close to George Washington’s old home, and right next to the Visitors Center, there’s lots to do in this little area!

I always get mixed feelings when I view stuff like this. I appreciate the fact that they are preserving history, but I don't feel that it's being done respectfully. There's way too much emphasis on the slavery part of it all. From pictures to videos. Constantly pushing the narrative of that's who we are. Consistently showcasing people of color in a negative and destitute state, rather than showing our accomplishments and triumphs, regardless of the attacks that are still presented on us today.
I am disappointed in the lack of representation of my people and the whitewashing of history. Downplaying the vicious role that was and is still being orchestrated today by those who created the battle for justice.

This is a free and very well kept historical site featuring the Liberty Bell. It’s cool to see but underwhelming. Thankfully it’s free, so points there!! It’s cool the view of independence hall right in the back but you really don’t spend more than like 5 minutes here. Reading Terminal Market is a must-visit spot in Philadelphia, easily accessible by bus, subway, or the hop-on, hop-off bus. If you’re at the Convention Center, it’s perfect for a lunch break; just remember to stamp your hand for re-entry. The market, located indoors, offers a comfortable environment with heating and air conditioning. Given its size, it’s wise to plan your visit or check the online directory beforehand. The market boasts a wide variety of goods, from seafood and meats to sweets and souvenirs, all conveniently located next to each other. With numerous seating areas, it’s a great place to enjoy a meal. While I’ve heard it houses about one hundred vendors, I’m certain I’ve only scratched the surface despite multiple visits. The market is always bustling, even on rainy days, attracting a diverse crowd of tourists and locals. You’ll encounter people in traditional Amish attire, individuals in burqas, and others with turbans, adding to the multicultural vibe. Most vendors accept credit cards or cash, with some even offering Apple Pay. However, the market could benefit from more garbage pails and maps at each entrance of the vendors, as currently, people have to go to the website to find the map of the market. While I can’t confirm if parking is free, there are parking garages nearby. Don’t miss this exciting exploration opportunity!

This is one of the coolest places I've ever visited and I've lived in several different countries. They have a variety of different restaurants, vendors for meat, seafood, poultry, pork, cheese, you name it you can get it here. What ever type of food you want there is a food spot for you. This is a must see on your visit to Philadelphia along with the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall

Weddings at The Reading Terminal in Philadelphia are a unique and unforgettable experience for everyone who attended. The venue, Reading Terminal Market, is perfect for those who love food and Philadelphia, and it's easily accessible, with a parking garage directly behind the market, and many hotel options nearby. The layout of the market is unlike anything you've seen before, with custom furniture for guests and a stage setup for the band or DJ, and areas for more quiet. The staff, run by All About Events, were beyond helpful, and the food was amazing with a huge variety of different options, including custom homemade pop tarts. The wedding was unique with no sit-down dinner and no assigned seating which created a relaxed lounge type vibe and more time to spend with different people. I highly recommend checking this out for your wedding reception!

I have been to Reading Market before in my previous trips! However this time I really took the time to walk through the entire market numerous times! I went at different times of day so I could take it all in without being overwhelmed. I got to have some really yummy bagel sandwiches for breakfast and made to order juices and smoothies. If you’re looking for donuts they have those too. They were okay but not yeasty enough for me. I tried cookies, pies and cakes. The Caribbean shrimp curry was so good I had it twice! This is a must go!

This is just an awesome place to visit for a foodie. It has EVERYTHING. I am most impressed with the pastries. Amish doughnuts are amazing! They are some of the best I have ever had. Definitely a must. I stop by specifically for those delicate delicacies. If you don’t like what you see, please message me, and we will see if we can get you right.

Amazing food and produce here. Visited by tourists and locals. Had a Philly cheese steak.. But there were nicer and more unique foods available. About a 20 or 30 min walk around all the stalls. Highly recommend if your travelling. Great safe atmoaphere. And nice surrounding area. A big contrast on the empty mall over the road.

Great way to spend a rainy day. Breakfast at Down Home Diner is a great place to start. Their biscuits are amazing and the people were really kind. After that, hop from aisle to aisle and pick from desserts, coffee, or small trinket shops. It really is just a great way to spend a morning or afternoon.

It’s a good thing I can’t go here everyday because I probably would. So many delicious options. A mix of groceries and food to eat there or takeaway. There are seating areas in the middle and at some of the stalls/restaurants.
The pretzel was as good as I heard it was. The apple and blueberry fritters were delicious. We had to try a cheesesteak of course and I was happy they offered a half option.
Definitely visit if you can and enjoy some great food!!

That's an awesome market, we went during the weekend and it was very crowded.
There are so many things to see and eat here, we had such a hard time choosing a spot for lunch.
There are also great spots to buy unique ingredients, we especially enjoyed the olive oils and the balsamic vinegars!

Just an amazing food hall in downtown Philadelphia that you must try! In fact, it may be the best place to eat in town! So many options to choose from for just about every kind of cuisine you could want including plenty of stuff for your sweet tooth. It’s also a legit food market for those wanting to buy stuff to cook at home. Very, very busy almost all the time so you do have to fight the crowd a little bit. But, it’s really a lot of fun just to wander through the whole place and take everything in. You’re going to pay between $10 and $15 for a meal but that’s not too bad. I would personally recommend the Fourth Street Cookie Company, and the donut shop. The Dutch Eating Place has a hot turkey sandwich platter that was amazing and a great value. There are places to sit inside the food hall, but getting a table can be a bit of a challenge. Just go check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

We ate every meal of our stay in Philly here. You get quality, variety, and value. We had some great fried chicken, a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, breakfast at a Dutch place, pastries from same Dutch place, oysters, and Pad Thai Noodles. It was all super good.

This Market is a culinary gem that serves both locals and visitors with its rich tapestry of flavors, diverse offerings, and historic charm. If you're a foodie or just looking for a memorable meal, this market is a treasure trove that embodies the spirit of Philadelphia's vibrant food scene. From restaurant vendors, to gift shops, or straight up deli/seafood counters.. I couldn't decide on where to eat because of how many different and unique vendors sprawling around. I ended up choosing a Georgian cuisine place that was so delicious. My visit left me with a deep appreciation for the city's culinary heritage, and I can't wait to return to explore more of what it has to offer.

Great experience visiting Reading Terminal Market! Food and more food! You can purchase cooked food like cheesesteaks from By George or Philly’s famous soft pretzels from Miller’s Twist. Or you can get specialty popcorn or chocolates and goodies from Sweet as Fudge. There are a few tables to sit and eat, but it was way too crowded for me. There are also places to buy fresh seafood and meat, delis, and souvenir shops. There are so many things to see and try that it can be a bit overwhelming. But a great time overall and a definite stop if you’re visiting Philly.

Quite a variety of food stalls there in most every genre. High quality too!!

A foodie paradise! The food portions are generous and very reasonable. It's a bit like a labyrinth and the aisles can get clogged with people coming and going. I recommend The Dutch Place for one of the best breakfasts you'll have in Philly. Along with food stalls are kiosks that sell herbs, candy, meats, and seafood.
Eastern State Penitentiary, a national landmark in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was designed to reform rather than punish criminals and is famous for its wheel-like design. Today, visitors can explore exhibits on topics like prisons today and Al Capones cell. The prison also features tours of the cells of some of America's most infamous criminals.
I loved visiting Eastern State Penitentiary. I absolutely love that they've left it as is because it feels like an urban explore, but legal. historical and haunted. the vibes here are heavy but it makes you want to stay and explore more. incredible spots all around to take pictures and explore at your own place.

Came for a history lesson and educational tour while visiting Philadelphia. Arrived right at opening during the week and there was not any line at all. Purchased the Daytime Self-Guided tour as you receive a audio headset that gives you prerecorded info for each area. As you go from one area to another, you'll see signs which tell you the audio clip to play on the headset. This allowed you to tour the facilities at whatever pace you wanted in whatever order you preferred. It also had many extra audio clips that weren't part of the main tour, but you could listen to you if you wanted. The paper map also gives the locations of the various areas the audio clips reference. There was no time limit, so you could stay as long or as short as you wanted. I'd say the main tour lasted about 45 minutes.
As far as the tour overall, this was very interesting, educational, and somber all in one. They did a great job of preserving the penitentiary just as it was until the closing in 1971. There were also many interactive stops along the way and several artists exhibits throughout the facilities. It wasn't just about the penitentiary itself, but also the role the penitentiary system played in the 1800's - 1900's and even to current days. It also looks at different perspectives from punitive, restorative, or reformative justice. This was a nice tour full of interesting and educational facts.

This was our favorite tour while in Philadelphia. We were here during the day, which made it not as creepy to walk through as it would be at night. There was a very heavy feeling throughout the entire facility. We did not see or capture anything that would be considered paranormal, but there is definitely some energy that is felt. This was an amazing tour. Whether you are interested in the paranormal or just in history, this is a great place to visit!

Such an iconic place. Some parts are completely in ruins but somehow, it gives energy to this place where lies a strong history of convicted people. It has a great audio guide that provides you with details about the the penitentiary. Save, at least, 2,5 hours to enjoy the visit and the audio guides.

Great experience!
Lots of history.
Some of the cells have been preserved and used for Art Installations. Hand sanitizing stations throughout walk. Didn't understand why some areas were closed off but are open at certain times of the year (cell block 12 for example) still had a really nice time reading and listening to the Steve Buscemi narration of audio guide. Would love to return for a night time visit!

My daughter (18yo)and I really enjoyed our visit. We spent several hours there. There is so much well presented information to take in. The building is fascinating but the education aspect is as good. We learned so much about the current state of the US and global penal systems. It was pretty shocking stuff. I am left with the insane comparison of the much higher annual cost of incarceration versus an Ivy League education. I think that all citizens should see this. They may develop greater sympathy for convicts and why they need education as well as a loss of their liberty.
Will Davey — Google review
Definitely recommend coming by for the walking tour, audio provided by Steve Buscemi. The tour takes you through the history of the prison, life of the guards and inmates, and discusses some topics like solitary confinement, US modern prison system and the need for reform. Worth the price and will definitely give you a new perspective.

This place is really cool... and creepy. Most of the buildings are slowly falling apart but certain areas have been restored to provide visitors a glimpse of prison life when Eastern State was operational.
We walked here from our hotel by City Hall and purchased tickets at the gate. We chose the self guided tour where they provide headphones that have recorded information about different locations around the prison. The narrative is fascinating as you learn both the history of the prison and the history of incarceration in the US.
I'm definitely interested in returning for their Halloween festivities.
This is a must-visit attraction in Philadelphia.

I've done so much reading up on this venue and finally had the opportunity to tour this place. I took my kids with me and they really enjoyed the experience to tour such an old facility. The audio tour was phenomenal and added to the experience. I really want to do the haunted tour they do in the fall. I'll be back again soon in the future to tour this great facility again. It's amazing that most of our prisons are structured off of the design of Eastern State Penitentiary.

Coming here is like an interactive museum, and it’s guided with an audio tour which is cool. Despite it being very fascinating and full of history, it felt solemn walking in an area where many were deprived of basic human needs, and seeing the different facts of this prison and the injustices that occurred. There are exhibits all around besides the actual prison which are very interesting and informative, and don’t forget Al Capone’s cell is here too! A must see exhibit is the Prison Today, which is interactive and based on the modern day US prison system. Overall, I really enjoyed coming here because it’s not only a great history lesson, but much needed eye opener.

Great experience. Even my 7 year old enjoyed it a lot. You take the tour on your own at your own pace. Handicap accessible. They provide you with audio recordings going through about 10-11 sections. The sounds and the story telling turns it up a notch. They sell water and snacks in there so you can actually snack as you walk around. Was it scary? I would say not at all but if you can put yourself and your all into what you are hearing and witnessing it can be.

An atmospheric place where you understand that it is better not to go there in reality. Huge passages, small cells without windows, with a narrow gap in the ceiling, high walls surrounding the prison, death cells, abandoned deserted corridors, from which mystical cold blows. This is a very interesting historical place, I highly recommend visiting it. And yes, there is Al Capone's camera, with the music of those times and the setting. I recommend buying tickets in advance online with a discount coupon.

I saw this while looking up things to do in Philadelphia and immediately added it to the to-do list during one of my upcoming trips.
I decided to go on an early Sunday afternoon. There is lots of street parking available in the immediate area...but its probably best to stick to the main streets (Fairmount and Corinthian Avenues...). Once you get into the side residential streets, the signs there mention "permit" which made me a bit nervous. I know some neighborhoods require residential permits to park on the streets and I didn't want to take the chance.
Admission prices were $21 for adults and $17 for childen. Children under 6 are free. (Online prices...not sure if was more at the ticket window)
After entering the front, you pick up your audio device. A small device with headphones that you can select various numbers marked throughout the penitentiary that will tell you a bit about that area or exhibit. I hope at some point, they would offer an app or online guide where you can use your own phone and earphones for this...the device provided is very dated and comes with wired over the head headphones which can get in the way if you are carrying items, a camera for example.
The penitentiary itself was great. While the audio device was cumbersome at times, the information provided throughout the self-tour was impressive. It is very well-paced and guides you through the main areas before letting you know the formal tour is over and your are free to explore. There are many smaller areas and exhibits throughout the penitentiary with wonderful little details about prison life at that time. A must for any history or architect buff.
One of the larger areas is the prison yard which leads into an indoor exhibit focusing on the impact of prison reform and overall effectiveness of the various prison philosophy. I like how they included something relevant to modern-times and its impact on today's society. It really stresse that we, as a nation, can do a lot better.
I usually get through museums pretty quick...reading the exhibits while taking lots of photos. This took me about 2 hours to get through most of the areas. There were certain areas I was less interesting in that I didn't read or listen to the entire description. So give yourself time if you plan to see everything...also wear comfortable shoes as there is quite a bit of walking.
There is a small gift shop toward the end of the tour with clothes, mugs, books...etc...what you'd expect to find in most gift shops.
There is also a bathroom trailer as you exit...very clean actually.
All staff I encountered were friendly and polite.
As for children...some older children may be interested in the history and stories of the prison...but there really isn't much "to-do" for younger children. The entire tour is on one level throughout the cell blocks, prison yard and other sub-areas...there arent any stairs except for one view from the upper cell block level.
The penitentiary is in walkable distance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Rocky Statue and Steps and surrounding park. There are also some nice eating options along Fairmount Avenue which leads right into the park...not a bad idea to make a day trip to include the penitentiary, food stop and park.

This was a bucket list item and it was awesome! Sure, it's not as scary as it probably is at night during a ghost hunt, but it was still really cool. Lots of great history, and the audio tour was very information. The entire experience was fantastic.

One of the coolest places I've been to in a while. We did the hand on history where they take you to the places the regular tour doesn't take you and it was the best part. We eneded up going to the kitchen, chapel and hospital wings. Gary was our tour guide and he was the best. Answered all our questions and was so nice. Definitely a must see. If you love history and want a real life experience this is the place to go. I was in shock of just how they preserved this building but at the same time seeing the decay of the cells was great. I enjoyed the walk through audio tour. Also there was a section where local artist came in within one of the cell blocks. I would get there earlier to ensure you have enough time to see everything.

I think it's the best tourist experience I've done in years, it's immersive. I did the night time tour which dded to the experience without a doubt. I was limited by the 10pm close so only spent 2 hours but could've done 1-2 more working through the art installations and experiences they've included.
Great value for money and it's the one thing I'd tell anyone to do first as a must do activity in Philly.
The Barnes Foundation is a world-renowned art museum that features the work of some of the most celebrated painters in history, including Renoir, Cezanne, Matisse, and Picasso. The museum is located in a beautiful setting in Spring Garden, Philadelphia and is perfect for any admirer of fine art.
What an amazing and unique museum! I kind of love that nothing is really labeled, it makes you look at the wall as a whole (lots of symmetry going on) and sort of enjoy what you enjoy without other telling you how important it is. And it's not just impressionist art, though that is the bulk of the collection. There are African pieces, furniture, and lots of hardware - decorative hinges, locks, metal bits that I found fascinating. To learn more about a piece that catches your eye, there is a website you can pull up on your phone, point it at the painting, and it will give you all the info.
It's set up inside like the old house the collection was originally in but the outside is very modern and concrete. I really loved the juxtaposition. Make sure to catch an introductory talk in the ground-floor classroom - it explains the history and why everything is set up like it is.
Sara Beth Wade — Google review
In my opinion, the architecture of the building is far superior to the actual collection of art. Some of the individual pieces were really good but it’s curated so poorly… there’s maybe like one good art piece in a room of 45 bad pieces from famous artists who had not yet developed their skills yet. In a way, it’s fun to see that these recognizable artists had so many failed artworks that were really missing the mark before they started creating great impressive art… but in general that’s the impression I got from this museum. So many of the artworks could be filtered out to really make the handful of amazing ones stand out.
The lighting in the rooms is horrendous which made it very hard to appreciate the color and strokes of the art, and the quirky arrangement of art all stacked one on top of the other was somewhat interesting at first and then became incredibly annoying because you couldn’t fully appreciate the art when it was hung up next to the door in the hall where everyone was walking or above the door higher than you can comfortably see.
The museum app allows you to scan the art to get info on each piece and then they send you an email with the art you saw. I liked that. I thought it was a nice modern touch. In general, the museum is worth going to, but just not the best museum I’ve been to. Could be improved.

The small garden just outside the entrance is amazing! It makes me think about my trip in Japan. The mirror-face pond is so beautiful. I arrived before the museum is open, so there is no others. The sound of winding blowing among leaves and the birdsong both give you a sense of tranquility.

What a unique perspective on ART! De. Barnes was ahead of his times! I would have enjoyed a lecture or two by this great educator! His free thought and fluid ideas truly allowed magic to happen among artists and those who followed his teachings. The fact that he was able to collect all of this art was mind-blowing! Random: They used metal detectors and appreciated that as an added layer of security. Some staff were more welcoming than others. My favorite pieces were of bakeries dancers. I enjoyed learning how the rooms were put together!

Amazing experience for any art lover. Large collection of European and American modern paintings including Renoir, Matisse, Degas, Rousseau, and many renowned artists. The rooms are packed with pieces curated in thought-provoking ways by Barnes himself and without overwhelming texts or explanations like most museums. It was highly experiential and inspiring. Recommend at least 3 hours to properly enjoy all the galleries.
Ina Li — Google review
The most pretentious museum I’ve ever been to. It’s obviously a huge scheme for the Barnes family to avoid taxes by investing all their money in art and a non-profit organization (which I’m sure turns a hefty profit). Also, Mr Barnes has a very particular taste in art…many, many female nudes. An excessive, distasteful amount of female nudes. It’s a nice building. I’m glad I went on the free day but I wouldn’t want to pay for this.
Juliana — Google review
My favorite museum experience by far. The Barnes is unique because it lets you, the visitor and viewer interact with the art as you please. It is up to your own personal perspective, creating a evocative experience. Unlike a traditional museum there are no plaques or descriptions of the art. The only signage is a tiny, almost microscopic plaque of the artist’s name at the bottom of the frame. The Barnes is an immersive treasure trove of Impressionist art that forces you to think outside the box. Must see if you are in Philly.

Superb collection of Renoir paintings! Sweet museum, well laid out, mostly in one floor. Galleries are a bit tiny and chock full of art and objects. Wonderful restaurant. Great gift shop! Need to be technically savvy since artwork information is accessible only by using a QR code and an app. If you don’t add your email address, you’ll lose the snapshot info when you zoom in on a painting. Other than that, photography is clearly ok, as seen by the manual photos I took and shared the old fashioned way.

We had a lovely time at the Barnes Foundation, which has a beautifully designed building that holds a variety of post-impressionist and early modern art. WOW! Over 4000 pieces of art in this incredible museum. When admiring the works, one of the guides (Mark) was incredibly helpful and informative, educating us about the Dr. Barnes, the collection, history, the location, and about specific paintings. They have an app where you can use your phone to scan the art and it'll tell you all about it (look for the QR code signage when entering the exhibit after the cafè). They have a coat check (required), and very nice and clean bathrooms. Don't forget to go upstairs to admire the rest of the collection!

This was on my bucket list of art museums to visit, and it did not disappoint. It not only exists as a showcase for beautiful and amazing art, but Albert Barnes’ belief that art is for the enjoyment and edification of everyone. As you go through each room and view the paintings amongst the furnishings, metalworks and other art objects, you can’t help but marvel at the care and effort that Dr. Barnes took to purchase and place each piece. What was he trying to highlight with each arrangement? What was he trying to teach? In addition, there are more Renoir and Cezanne paintings here than anywhere else in the world, and that includes France. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I can’t believe I waited so long before going to the Barnes foundation. The number of pieces they have is absolutely astounding and it’s such an intimate way to enjoy some of your favorite impressionists. But as you may, or may not know, their collection is definitely not limited to impressionist art. I went on a free museum day but I would 100% go back and pay full ticket price to experience it again. Expect to spend some serious time here. It also is one of the best museum gift shops I’ve ever been in.

The Impressionism and post-impressionisms lovers dream! This museum was amazing, not only was the collection incredible, but how it was curated was really enjoyable. It felt like I was just walking around somebody’s house. A house that’s filled with billions of dollars worth of art. It really humanized things, and it was special to see different pieces together in one space, highlighting the differences and similarities amongst artists and movements.

The Franklin Institute is a family-friendly science museum that features many interactive exhibits and displays as well as a planetarium. The exhibits are designed to stimulate all five senses, and the museum also has a special events calendar that rotating offers new experiences for visitors. Some of the highlights of the Franklin Institute include an exhibition based on the Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook which tests guests' survival skills, as well as Hall of Fame Gallery which showcases real worst-case survival stories.
I came for the Harry Potter experience and stayed for the rest of the museum. And I would say as an adult on my own, that took me about half a day. If I had kids, it would take significantly more, I think.
The Harry Potter experience takes a solid hour or so to go through. You check in and get a wristband that you can tap throughout the experience to earn points for your chosen house. It's beautifully lit and designed, with several interactive bits and photo ops. I loved most the port key and the dueling wands!
From HP, you can more or less make your way from the top of the museum to the bottom, via a large central stairwell featuring Foucault's Pendulum, proving the rotation of the earth on an axis.
There's a kinetic energy area great for little kids, a sport zone where you can test your skills, a 3D printer in a tech studio, walk inside a giant heart (adults can totally fit!), play with electricity, stand on a map of Philadelphia, pretend to do a weather forecast, climb into a fighter jet, and see a humongous steam train up close. It's mostly aimed at kids, but I still enjoyed walking around and touching stuff. I even caught a fun theater show about liquid nitrogen.
If you're an adult and interested in Harry Potter, you might want to just do that, but if you've never been to the Franklin Institute, it's definitely worth walking around the rest as well.

There is a lot of hands-on stuff to help with learning about the body, space, art, and more, and it was a lot to see. Make sure to make time as you'll spend more than 3 hours here. My big problem was that the Lego Exhibit costs separately from the ticket to the institute itself. It's very expensive.

I expected that our group of six would enjoy our time at The Franklin Institute, but I can truly say that it exceeded our expectations. This is not your average science museum. I think the main difference and why it’s so delightful is because it offers lives shows and hands on exhibits. The lives shows are designed to keep even the smallest of children engaged, laughing, AND learning. The hands-on exhibits provide children with the ability to learn through visual displays and touch. As an adult, I was incredibly impressed to see how the exhibits help you visualize and understand concepts that you may think you already know. This museum isn’t cheap, so make sure to schedule the most from your visit by prioritizing the live shows and then exploring the hands-on exhibits on your own time.

Definitely a fun day. Plan ahead and get your tickets online. 3-4 hours should be adequate to see everything but if you want to do all the planetarium shows as well, plan to spend all day to get it all in. We opted for the yearly membership since we are close enough to make multiple trips throughout the year.

My daughter visited the Disney Exhibition with her Summer Camp. And she really enjoyed herself. She loved everything about the Disney Exhibition. It's was thing to see it on TV or at the Movies 🎥
There's a special feeling to see it in real life ❤️.

My children loved this place, especially the Brain and heart exhibits. I enjoyed the flight exhibit and my husband loved the machine area. The cafe area is large with plenty of seating and lots of food, drinks and snack options. You are also able to bring your own food as many people packed lunches for their kids and themselves. For additional fees, you can purchase tickets to the planetarium and the traveling exhibits. This is definitely cool place to bring the kids or to come enjoy as an adult.

Hands down an amazing Museum for adults and families with kids of all ages! The demonstration room with combustion and liquid air were phenomenal. The speakers were well versed and made the experience fun and engaging! I just can speak highly enough for this experience. It was a learning experience and made us feel like kids! If in Philly come to this Museum! It is worth every penny.

Amazing! It had so much things to do! The Harry Potter exhibit was outstanding! I recommend going there. The eatery was amazing cheap and good food. The workers where super nice and helpful. Tip when I got there parking near there was full so try to find somewhere else to park. Also you'll have to walk a few.blocks to the Franklin Institute.

The Franklin institute is one of the coolest science museums we've ever been to! There are 4 levels of super cool exhibits and the Harry Potter exhibit we went to was spectacular. It has a planetarium, trains, planes, space stuff, electricity, brains, heart exhibit... everything that is fun to look at scientifically. Even the restaurant inside was delicious. I highly recommend it! 👌

Great for kids and adults!
Great museum with lots of interactivity for kids of all ages.
Review just for the general admission. They do have a special exhibit you pay separately for. They had the Disney 100 out at the time but we decided to pass as I heard there wasn't much interactive station for the younger kids.
Took my 3 and 8 year old sons and they both had a great time. It took about 4-5 hours to go through everything there. Three floors split into different themes and the shows were all great. Definitely worth seeing the live science show on the 3rd floor. About 20 mins long and both my kids were engaged as they did a good job talking with the audience.
Plenty of tables and seats for lunch. We brought lunch as well as I bought a chicken sandwich and fries at their cafeteria, "the Eatery" and it was decent. Nothing to race about but it was hot food It was nice that you can just grab and go so no real lines.
Parking: they do have street parking walking distance all around the museum but they do have a 3 hour limit. They do have a parking garage underneath and it is $20.
Overall a great place for kids and adults to learn more about science and have a good time. You can definitely spend more than 4 hours there. Worth checking out if you haven't checked it out before.

This is as fun today as it was when we last went over 8 years ago. Our kids are older but still enjoyed it. Of course mostly same exhibits but the Disney was new (required timed entry purchased ahead of time which meant it wasn't overly crowded). It wasn't very science-related but if you're a animates/Disney fan you'd probably like it. The brain was one our favorite areas including the play/climbing structure. The heart was the favorite of my 5year old.

Fantastic experience for kids and adults alike! To begin, the architecture and lobby are breathtaking. We went for the Disney 100 exhibition, which was fantastic for all ages. The interactive science exhibits were also a lot of fun, these are certainly aimed more at children, but our party of all adults had a blast too. The GIANT heart is very cool. Hugely recommend this museum. We were rushed at 2.5 hours. I’d recommend allotting 3-4 hours to not feel rushed.

Great place for kids to learn and explore science. Then planetarium experiences great.!they have multiple types of shows for that. They also have Liquid and Combustion shows which are very entertaining for the kids. Their new space experience is amazing. They have many interactive displays that keeps the young minds engaged and curious to learn. Their Electricity section is also great where you can wait for the Faraday cage to go on every hour in the hour. Overall a great experience and a must do for late elementary and up kids.

This place is so much fun with the kids. They have a Lego exhibition that just opened up. Get here at open to get the slot of the Lego exhibition. Do not skip the planetarium tour where they show you constellations. There were a lot of interactive exhibits which were a lot of fun for our kids. You can easily spend half a day here.

Really enjoyed the space section and the heart! Some of the stuff wasn’t working which was a bummer but overall I really enjoyed this museum and the ability to interact and touch the displays. This is a great place to bring kids and I would definitely recommend if you wanted to let them run around because there are obstacle-like rooms. I went with my boyfriend and we enjoyed ourselves as adults! Definitely good as a more affordable museum and interesting.

It's one of the best places for family outings in the Philadelphia area. We liked the planetarium a lot. They had awesome shows, the souvenirs shop is very good too, bathrooms were clean. I think the only comments I may say: the cafeteria needs to have more selctions, and I think the institute needs to hire more associates to help guide the visitors. Definitely, we will go back there more times

This Institute is a wonderful place for science enthusiasts. This place is really huge in terms of different exhibitions.
The place consists of various halls on different levels and each one of them is specific to a particular field or branch of Science.
There are many wonderful models that explain the complex scientific concepts in a very easy and engaging way.
I highly recommend this place especially for school going students as the place creates a curiosity towards learning Science.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the new additions here.
I truly enjoyed the Lego Exhibit this year.
The artwork was very moving and I was astounded by the pieces that were made with legos!!
Took my boys and they were extremely excited and did not want to leave the exhibit themselves due to the overwhelming amount of legos they have for the children to play with in different ways.

Located at the base of the Philadelphia Museum of Art's steps, the colossal bronze statue of Rocky Balboa is one of the most iconic tourist attractions in Philadelphia. Created for the movie Rocky III, it was gifted to the city by actor Sylvester Stallone himself. The statue stands towering above passersby, and is a popular photo spot.
I went to the Rocky Statue yesterday, March 13, 2022. It was a special moment for me because Rocky has been a childhood hero of mine since I was 5 years old. Growing up, watching Rocky was inspirational and he was a true fighter against life. I love you Sylvester Stallone for creating such a beloved character that is a true hero to many of us around the world.

After the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, the Rocky Statue is the next Philadelphia stop for tourists. The statue is free to visit. There is always a line, but it goes fast. People spend about 30 seconds with the statue. You can ask the person behind you to take a picture for you. Sometimes there's an entrepreneur who will offer to take pictures for you. I paid one enterprising young man a dollar. Some people didn't pay him anything. I'm happy I did because he helped the line go much faster and he was an expert with camera phones. He took 10 photos of me in different poses and in both portrait and landscape modes, all in 15 seconds.

It's not in top of the stairs like in the movie. Only reason we saw it was because of the line. We pushed across the street and hopped it for pictures. It's free and people will definitely wait the few minutes for a pic. We even took pictures for each other. CAUTION: there are two guys offering to take pics with your camera however they expect a few dollars. I was used to it being a NYer but my friend was a little overwhelmed.... until I introduced her to Mr Softee🤣🤣

I parked in the parking lot directly across from the Rocky statue. There was no attendant to pay for the parking fee. After parking, you walk on the sidewalk, across two crosswalks and the Rocky statue is directly in front of you. There was no wait when I went. There is no cost to take your pictures of the statue or with the statue. I highly recommend stopping here. The parking lot that is across the street, DO NOT leave purses, pocket books, or other visible valuables in your car. I went back to my vehicle, and there were two separate vehicles that had their windows broken.

If you are in Philadelphia, of course you also have to come here 😉 Impressive next to the "Rocky" guide in front of the statue is the view from the stairs. Funny to watch at the same time how many "storm" the stairs, regardless of age, gender and physical condition, to celebrate themselves upstairs in Rocky Pose. 😂 The view of the Museum of Art at the top and down the stairs towards the skyline are impressive. It is worth strolling along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway towards the city.

I really loved this one, and this Statue Of Rocky is right next too , the Philadelphia Muesum of Art, which you should definitely check out but to get to the point I absolutely love Rocky Balboa even My Dad those like a lot so being able to get a picture in Front of the Rocky Statue and recreate the Famous Scene of Rockys Famous Run up The 72 step stairs which I recreated two times and it felt so good just like how Rocky felt if you are Visting Philadelphia like I having been doing you have too go over there and recreate The Famous Run from Rocky and get a picture in front of Rocky as well . It will be awesome

There was a long line forming at the statue. But if you come here already, you mind as well get a photo with him. It’s quite incredible that people here take him as a real life historical figure. I overheard so many kids asked their parents of who this guy is. Cheers to the movie that created cult following for Philly.

Near the base of the Philadelphia Museum of Art stairs and nearby surrounded by the beautiful park.

There was a line for taking pictures by the statues but it moved fairly quick as most people took a few quick photos and kept it moving...

Located basically right in the middle of the city
It’s is an amazing location right by the museum to the right of the museum to be exact
Tons of people have fun and running up and down the stairs for a little bit of Rocky nostalgia
Beware of the parking lot and your belongings
Also beware of people offering to take your picture at the rocky statue they expect a tip after and can get a little bit rude
Make sure to wear your walking shoes but it is well worth it !!

This is a famous statue of Rocky that has been moved around during the years. Now it sits at the base of the stairs to the Philadelphia Art institute that Rocky famously runs in the movies. The statue is larger than life sized, and free to visit. There was a line to get pictures. We wanted to hop back on the tour bus, so we didn’t wait for a picture, but still got to see the statue.

The famous Rocky statue stands to the bottom right of the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, which were also featured in the film franchise. This is a fun photo opportunity, and there sometimes can be a line to take a photo with the statue. Absolutely free, and make sure you run up the steps to recreate the same scene that Sylvester Stallone did years ago.

The Rocky statue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a unique blend of history and pop culture. Standing at the footsteps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, it immortalizes the iconic movie character Rocky Balboa. The statue has become a symbol of determination and triumph, drawing visitors from around the world. While its historical significance may be unconventional, its presence is undeniably part of the city's cultural fabric. Whether you're a Rocky fan or simply curious about the intersection of film and urban landmarks, a visit to the Rocky statue adds an entertaining and memorable dimension to your Philadelphia experience.

I came here just to view it along with the steps that are right next to it. I took an overnight bday trip to Philly. It was cool, nostalgic, and worth it, I suppose lol. I've been a fan of Rocky movies since childhood, and I absolutely adore Sylvester Stalone. Did you know he wrote his own script and refused to sell it unless he was cast as the main actor. It took him years to make it happen, but he did it! Never give up!

The renowned Rocky Steps and Rocky statue are essential stops. They resonate with Rocky fans and Philadelphians alike, offering a fantastic view of the city. Conveniently located near Eastern State Penitentiary, the Franklin Institute, and the Riverwalk trail, and with a view of Center City Philadelphia and City Hall, it's an ideal walk if you're staying near City Hall.

Located to the north of the famous “Rocky Steps”, which are the steps for entrance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, on the right side of the steps, when facing the front of the museum and at the western end of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the statue is as big of a spectacle as the spectacular Museum. Oftentimes, more people are lined up to take a picture with the Rocky Statue than there are patrons entering the Museum. The statute came into existence during the third installment in the Rocky franchise during a dedication ceremony from the City of Philadelphia to Sylvester Stallone’s iconic character.
M.R. Cardonick — Google review
We went early in the morning and there was no wait to take photos at the statue. From there we ran up the stairs for some more photo ops, including Rocky's footprints so you can stand right where Rocky stood. We were in a large group and everyone seemed to have a good time.
I can't believe all of the 1 star reviews. If your car got broken into, that suck, but it has nothing to do with the statue. If you had to wait in line, or you just don't like pop culture, that doesn't warrant a 1 star rating. If the statue fell over and crushed your mother, then maybe you might want to give it 1 star. Maybe give the City of Philadelphia a 1 star rating while you're at it.
Eric Burgin — Google review
It’s neat to see the statue in person and go up the stairs like Rocky did in the movie. Not much else to do here besides going to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. There’s also a pop-up Rocky souvenir vendor close to the statue. Predictably, everything is over priced. Getting a close parking spot can be difficult, but you may get lucky and find a spot on Pennsylvania Ave.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is a world-renowned art museum located atop Benjamin Franklin Parkway. With renowned exhibits like the Creative Africa and re-imagined South Asian Galleries, the museum is constantly updated with new and exciting exhibitions. The Rodin Museum, which celebrates Auguste Rodins career, is also accessible with admission to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The artwork was spectacular I looked at just about every piece of art The collection was huge I stayed there for about an hour just taking pictures and viewing artwork if you're into art I will most definitely recommend that you go there now while they have their exhibition up. My favorite section was the section that had the medieval weapons and armor I even posted many pictures of what they had my favorite was the great sword it was cool

This was a fantastic museum with ongoing great exhibitions. I loved 'Matisse in the 1930s' and 'Macho men' exhibitions so much. Its permanent collections are huge. I couldn't even see half of it even though I've went this museums 2 days in a row ad spent 6 hours each day.
I love impressionism so this place was like heaven. This museum also has great American Art collection which made me surprised.
There was huge collection of glass art so if you love glass art this place is must go.
Overall, this museum was one of the greatest museum in the US I've ever been to and I am planning to go back soon so I could see all of its collection.
Admission ticket is awesome because you could use 2 days in a row with paying only 1 ticket and you could go to Rodin museum for free as long as you shows the ticket from Philadelphia Museum of Art. What an awesome deal for visitors!

Great place to sip a drink and enjoy the art. You can spend hours and hours here. This is an amazing place to visit In Philly if you are interested in art and history.
They have an impressive collection of arts and artifacts from different countries and time in history. Remarkably well preserved paintings, rooms to show lifestyle, and cultural artifacts: engraved rugs, and sculptures.
There was live music, you can get some light snacks or drink. They also have cafe and gift stores. They do have parking lot for visitors. I recommend buying tickets online, on first Friday of the month I think you can visit it at little cheaper than regular days.

Really beautiful and gorgeous building. One of the most beautiful exterior areas of any American museum. The ‘Rocky stairs’ and the jet fountain outside are stunning. Walking outside and seeing the skyline of Philadelphia is also spectacular. Inside, there is a beautiful collection on Impressionist art, however, I found the rest of the museum lacked the same quality. But a great collection nonetheless. Some good Picasso, Monet, and Van Gough.

I have been to The Philadelphia Museum of Art twice, but I have not yet been inside. On my most recent visit, it occurred to me that on my next visit, I'm going to make it a priority to go inside. I cannot comment on the interior of the museum; the exterior is lovely. If you are facing the museum, do not expect the Rocky Statue to be at the top of the steps. It is to the right of the steps on the street level in its own section. Everything about the exterior of the museum is exhilarating, from all of the people climbing the steps and shadowboxing, to the ornate statues, to the beautiful view of the city down Benjamin Franklin, to the endless photo and video opportunities. Even the walk down Benjamin Franklin is beautiful. Don't skip a visit to the Museum when visiting Philadelphia.

You’re absolutely right, and I apologize for the error. Vincent van Gogh’s “Sunflowers” is indeed not housed in the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Let me correct the review:
“The Philadelphia Museum of Art is a remarkable institution, renowned for its extensive and varied collection. This vast museum offers a comprehensive exploration of artistic achievements spanning across different eras and cultures. Visitors can easily spend several hours admiring works from Renaissance masters, significant pieces of American art, and a notable collection of Asian art. Additionally, the museum is famed for its ‘Rocky Steps’ and the iconic statue of Rocky Balboa, adding a unique pop culture element to its classical art prestige. Love this place. Size is perfect. Not to big, not too small, just right. It's manageable to spend a lovely day and still have time to enjoy the area or spend extra time contemplating a few of the marvelous pieces. They have something for everyone from most eras and most media. I'm a fan of European paintings and some sculpture. Come Friday night and enjoy live music as well. They're open till 8:45pm. I took my husband on a date at the Museum of Art on Friday night and we had a great time. On Friday, between 5pm and 8:45pm, the admission is free (donations are welcome). The atmosphere was perfect: a live band was playing jazz music and we grabbed a drink by the steps. The museum has a huge variety of paintings and pieces of art. Artists like Picasso, Duchamp, Matisse, Renoir, Man Ray, Monet, Manet mostly find a spot on the first floor. But don’t be shy, ask the staff about specific painting and they’ll be happy to help you navigate the museum’s map.

Quite possibly the best art museum I have visited! Our group visited for a Friday "pay what you wish" evening and loved every bit of the 3 hours we spent there. We spent much of our time in the European galleries and loved the inclusion of architectural elements in the exhibits.
Our one point of disappointment is that there was an event happening with loud, modern music playing and children participating in a "trick-or-treat" scavenger hunt through the museum. While we were happy to see a unique way to invite families with young children into the museum, we thought it would have been prudent to teach the children to conduct themselves quietly in a museum rather than interacting loudly.

This museum was beautiful. There was so much to look at that we didn't have enough time to explore everything. I would recommend setting aside an entire day or a couple days to visit the museum thoroughly. I give the museum itself and their collection 5 stars. It is worth the visit. The Rocky Balboa statue is also located here so that was a fun to see as well.
Most of the staff was very friendly but some were not. We were asked by a staff member to check our umbrella at coat check while we were already almost through an exhibit but other people were walking around with the same type of umbrella and weren't asked to do so. Another staff member asked us to step away from a painting that was covered with glass and explained that we needed to stay 18 inches away but he didn't say anything to the next few people who walked up to the same painting and stood where we had been. I understand the requests however staff should be consistent and polite, and apply the requests to all visitors.

Huge museum with sooo many must see pieces!
Note- the entrance at the top of the "Rocky Steps" is closed. You have to use the North/East entrances.
The printed map they provide has indicators of specific works that are renowned, so on my quick visit I made a point to see those. A huge variety of art and artifacts (American, European, Asian, Modern, etc). Helpful and friendly staff, clean restrooms, overall very respectful visitors. Highly recommend visiting this museum.

You can spend an entire day here, if you enjoy art and history!! If you are just browsing, you can go much faster, but if you like to stop and read quite a bit or just stare at pieces you like, you will want to ration out lots of time for this giant, gorgeous museum. We spent probably 5 hours and could have spent longer, but it was enough to spend time on what we wanted to see and quickly walk through the parts we were not as interested in - and we were tired by then.
Most of the items at the three gift shops we visited at the art museum were WAY overpriced, but there were sales on some of the items in the one downstairs which were more reasonable. But in general, ridiculous pricing, in my view. I'm not sure, but perhaps the museum might make more sales by lowering the cost.
The museum ticket is also fairly expensive ($30 for adults) so try to make good use of it by setting aside enough time. When you buy the ticket, you also get a free ticket to the Rodin Museum, if you go the same day or the next day. You probably don't need more than 20-30 minutes for the Rodin Museum unless you really love statues of hands and naked people, but it is also a nice place to walk through anyways, if you have some time.

Took a day trip here to check out the museum and surrounding area. The art inside and outside was amazing. The amount of statues and plaques outside on the grounds was incredible. Very detailed and historic. The grounds and buildings themselves were a sight to see. We posed near the Rocky statue and ran up the same steps he ran up in the movie. Once inside we were amazed at how grand and spectacular the displays were. One of the nicest and well laid out museums we’ve ever seen. There was a lot of areas that couldn’t be filmed so we put away our phones and just enjoyed the experience. They have a nice gift shop. There is a decent amount of paid parking and eateries in the area. We pretty much spent the whole day here.

We ate lunch at the cafe and everything was nice. There was a Korean art exhibit as well as many others. This was my first time going to an art museum. You know you hit the jackpot when you literally get lost inside of all the art. I will never forget it. We will be back!

Really nice art museum with big variety of pieces to view. It is amazing how close you can get to most pieces and view them up close. Organization of the collections is good easy to navigate your way around the building. It was nice they had free paper maps for use. Parking was easy in the underground parking garage on the property. Enter early in the day to make sure it isnt full. If using the parking garage, make sure to get your parking ticket validated in the museum as it will lower the fee by 19 dollars. Eating and beverage options inside are good with several options. There is a small beverage cafe, a sit down restaurant and a cafeteria style large cafe that include made to order options in addition to pre-made selections. While there if the weather is nice, take some time to walk the grounds and park on the north side where you can view the Schuylkill River and the house along boat row. If you are lucky there may be a growing team or two on the river for a workout. Buy tickets online as there are entry time limits and getting tickets early will allow you to get the time you want.

$30 is expensive for entry.
The organization of the museum is jumbled and lacked flow. The American art was scattered throughout, and while there was a Pollock, two Warhols, and several other great American artists, the lack of flow made it hard to appreciate. There is a great collection of circa 1900 art.
I thought the Picasso and Matisse collections were quite good. There are better impressionist exhibits elsewhere - I thought the lack of some key impressionist artists was surprising considering that's what a lot of reviews highlighted? Much of the museum was under construction. The high school kids present were not well instructed in museum behavior.

I had bought my ticket in advance and I visited on a weekday, so I didn't have to wait at all.
Unfortunately I did not have enough time to explore as much as I wanted, but this museum was breathtakingly good. Not only did they have an amazing collection, they also presented it in a very well-thought setting. Each hall had its own theme related to what was inside. I enjoyed this museum more than the MET and LACMA.
Plus, their shops are not ridiculously overpriced like some other art museums.

You need at least 2-3 hours to appreciate all the beautiful art in this museum. Although it is mostly know for being the "Rocky" steps, don't skip this museum if you are an art lover.
We enjoyed the highlight guided tour. It was free with admission. There are various tours you can take. Check with the front desk for times.
Take the time to see the large rooms with the cloister, the asian section and find the dog kennel it is truly unique.

One of the most beautiful museums I've ever been to! I'm really intrigued by how some of the displays are built into the ceilings of each room. There is an investment and permanency and that design that is unusual. The parking is expensive, even with validation. Plan to spend an entire day here if you want to see everything in detail! I was there for 4 hours with a lunch break and I only got to see two floors. You need to make reservations. I recommend being the first ones there; It was so peaceful to be on the floors by myself.

Long-standing, 2-screen drive-in movie theater offering first-run features & broad concession menus.
A cool experience that we really enjoyed. Not perfect, but it’s a locally owned theatre. Know what to expect before you go and you’ll enjoy. Since the concession stand is how they make money & stay open, we ordered dinner and snacks. The food was ok. Fries were soggy and not very hot, popcorn didn’t have any butter on it. Wish they at least open inside of snack stand for butter/condiments/etc. Didn’t wait long at the stand after we got the text that it was ready. Food prices are reasonable though and decent portions

I was hoping for more. Certainly enjoyable if looking for an alternative from the everyday but they have some work to do. Everything has to be booked online ... tickets and concessions. I ordered concession and got an email that my order was ready. Being ready meant getting on a line where I waited 45 minutes to pick up my order. That meant I missed half the movie, not at all customer friendly.

Just wanted to add, the food was incredibly reasonable and really good! This drive in is such a cool place to watch movies with your family. I was also really impressed with the video quality! I cannot wait to go back!

Worth the long drive, as always. Great selection of old and new films. Unbelievably reasonable prices at the snack bar--its like they must have kept the same prices since the 1950s. Would love to see more vegetarian/vegan friendly options. We often just buy the meal permit and bring food from our favorite vegan restaurant in town, Vegans are Us.

Went back to Delsea for the first time in 10 years. Saw Jurassic World Dominion with my family.
Ticket sales and Menu orders are completely done online now due to COVID-19 precautions. Delsea does allow outside food but you have to purchase a food pass to display on your dash.
All movies are double features. Lately the first film has been a current Hollywood release, with the second being an older film.
Get to the box office 15 minutes before posted opening times as good spots get filled up quick. Smaller cars get parked up front, with small SUVs behind them, then medium SUVs that are front facing next, with larger SUVs and trucks that are backed in bringing up the rear.
Be aware of the weather and possibly mosquitoes deeper into summer months.
The drive in is an experience that should be enjoyed as is. It harkens back to a time when going to the movies was not an In-N-Out transactional affair as it is today. Be prepared to spend more time at the drive-in than you would at your local multiplex. Also the picture and sound quality will not be as good as an indoor venue. But you already know that otherwise you wouldn't be going to the drive-in.

The Delsea drive-in theater is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is unique and inviting, with the glow of the screen and the hum of car engines creating a buzzing ambiance. A must-try experience.

I've been to this drive-in movie theatre several times over the last couple of years and I've loved it every time. They show two movies on both screens one after the other, for the price of one. You save some money there as long as you can stay awake.
You cannot leave your car running. It's a big no-no. They explain it clearly on their website. Get yourself a good portable radio or a speaker with radio capabilities like a Monster speaker and you'll be all good.
The food they sell is pretty good and like they CLEARLY state on their website (several times) the money they make from it is what keeps them operating, so I will gladly always pay for food - or get yourself that food permit and bring all the outside food you want.
There will always be a few individuals that either don't follow the rules or they don't know that they are not following the rules, because they did not research or someone hasn't told them. I've had to tell people there's no smoking or to turn their cars off. To this day, I haven't had a single stranger give me any trouble. Do not blame those things on the theatre. It's impossible to control what every single person does. They will do their part in removing individuals that are not complying.
I've read some of the bad reviews and the ones I've read are either misinformed or they didn't do their homework. Go to their website and read their house rules before you make a decision to visit. If you decide to go you'll have a great time.
Communicate with your fellow strangers about what is not allowed, get you some food, and let's keep this place running!

I love going to the drive in. Where else can you get to see two first run movies for 11.00? The staff is friendly and nice. The food is reasonably priced especially compared to movie theaters. The pretzel bites and so good. I also love that it's open into November. I hope they are in business for many years to come.

I drove 90 minutes to get here but the whole experience was great and looking forward to doing it again. Greatly organized, saw a few cars that left and it's only fair that you should use their concession stand with great service and plenty of choices or pay a reasonable fee to bring your own foods. You can easily go online to order from the concession stand and will receive a text when your order is ready for pick up. 2 screens, 2 movies at the price of less than one movie if you go to the cinema. I've been to plenty of drive-in theaters before and hands down, this is definitely one of the better ones.

The most super fun way to watch a movie! Always a double feature and affordable. Their menu options are endless for movie snacks and meals. They offer such a variety of food through an app to order ahead. Leashes dogs are allowed on either Saturday or Sunday nights depending on the season. We always get there early for a perfect spot up front. Movie sound streams through your car radio. Highly recommend!!

I took my daughter for the first time to see Taylor Swift Euro Tour. It was awesome! The staff was kind & courteous. The directions were clear & reasonable. If you don’t like them, don’t go! But there are no surprises & I applaud the owners right to protect their revenue! They provide the community a valued service, which was about to become extinct. I appreciate their effort & recognize it is a business & they must make money too. My daughter & I say thank you for the wonderful service you provide!

Absolutely amazing! I traveled to Delsea drive-in from another state in order to enjoy a nostalgic and fun experience with my fiance for a date night. The prices are extremely reasonable and the staff members were very friendly. The movie grounds and bathrooms are very clean and the food was incredible. We ordered chicken cheesesteaks and they were pleasantly delicious and fresh! It is really enjoyable to sit under the stars and enjoy outdoor cinema with buttery popcorn. With this being stated, you will definitely enjoy yourself at this drive-in and you will also have an enjoyable night with memories that will last forever! We truly appreciate the fact that this establishment still exists and we will surely be back again...and again! ❤️

I understand a business wanting to protect their revenue and setting rules to ensure everyone enjoys themselves, but this place takes it waaaaaay too far. Before you even buy your ticket, on their site, they have a million obnoxiously capitalized and exclamation pointed don't do this or that's which leaves a bad taste in your mouth before even arriving.. the nastiness continues once you arrive and you are welcomed with a sheet of rudely laid out rules, and attendants who only interrogate you about outside food.
Speaking of which, they won't even allow you to have bottled water. Which they don't even sell at the concession stand.. just boxed water? If they catch you with a water bottle it's a $40 charge. (No, I'm not joking)
You can only order food or beverages online and they refuse to accept cash (which is illegal in the state of NJ fyi and you can be fined should somebody report it) ...The site has a ten dollar minimum so if you want to grab a single drink or item later on, tough luck.
They have a little bit before the movie starts about how their concession stand keeps the place going and they need that revenue... Well if that was the case, then you would think they'd gladly accept all payment methods or let you order what you want. But they'd rather turn down business.
Honestly, I don't know how this place stays in business creating such an unwelcoming environment for it's patrons. I'd love nothing more than to see drive ins thrive, but this ain't the way to do it.

Great family entertainment. Make sure the MPA ratings suit your children. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I was not too impressed with my burger but the perogies and Rootbeer float were good. This was my first time and I plan to return. FYI - you can bring your pets on leach on Sundays. Also, you have to pay $20 if you bring your own food. Note: movie theaters make most of their money at concessions to pay for staff and upkeep.

Great family night out spot. Fun for all ages. The food here is also very good. They have a large selection. Plus they have Gluten-free options. You can always bring your own food also, you just pay extra at the gate. Over all great time
65-acre arts center in a wooded setting, hosting a glass museum, artist's studios & a picnic grove.
Great customer service, friendly staff, great discounts in the one shop, and extra coupons for the others! It was also a beautiful day full of fall scenery. Didn't get to watch them blow glass because of COVID-19 restrictions, but the shopping was special, with lots of beautiful gifts for Christmas 2021.

So I bought my tickets waaay back in like February? Before I knew what this place was really like and before all the reviews. I basically had no other choice but to go despite all the low rating reviews otherwise I'd lose out in like $30 something bucks. Anyways, my friend and I arrived right when it opened and they still had us wait to go in. The rooms were pretty underwhelming. The gold room and the crystal light room were probably the two best rooms but again the whole experience was just OK. I guess I just expected more but there really was only like 5 rooms. It was cool but not worth the price in my opinion. They must not be doing so well because I got an email asking to come back for free if we showed the front a picture of our initial visit? Again, just OK. I wouldn't shovel out $30+ for this.

Visit during winter, trees are dormant for the season, not too appealing. Entrance appears like a small town, no fee if just walking the grounds or walking the Nature trail. Parking is free. But the road needs some work.
If visiting The Glass, or Pottery studio or the Museum there is a fee. They are all interesting. The Glass and Pottery studios have presentation on how these are made. They like to answer questions.
The shops are pricey. But sell nicely made items.
Best to enjoy in spring and summer.
Worth exploring!

The Wheaton Arts Village is another one of those lesser-known (unfortunately) Gems of NJ that only us "Southerners" appear to be aware of as Destination place. In addition to their regular Glassworks Studio and Museum, the General Store, the Paperweight Shoppe, etc... Wheaton Arts often has outside Events, such as today's Eco-Fair and the Paperweight Festival starting May 17th! No more than an hour's drive from most of Central Jersey south, including Philadelphia. Check out their Website to see the plethora of Educational and Entertaining Program of Events... then make an effort to GO there, you won't be disappointed! The Glassblowing Shop has the greatest staff of devoted young people. Making their artistic Creations, and their Paperweight designs are fantastic & extraordinarily beautiful!

What a GREAT weekend. After being fascinated by art glass for most of my life, I finally took the step from being a spectator to being a glass artist. Okay, I had a lot of help from Kendall, but in a few days, I'll have two pieces and I can call a joint collaboration. And thanks to my wife for supporting me and taking some great photos!
Wheaton Arts offers a series of Make Your Own sessions, and I did the Ornament and Paperweight ones on Saturday, November 5th. I get to pick the pieces up this weekend after they cool gently in an annealing furnace.
First, Wheaton Arts is simply great. But the glassworks area is phenomenal. Second, the staff are awesome (big shoutout to Kendall!!!). She was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, and fun to work with!!! She provided just enough guidance to keep you safe and sound, yet create a piece (in my case, two pieces), from YOUR vision.
A glass studio is incredible enough to visit and watch the professionals at work. But to be able to actually work with glass is an 'oh wow' moment that is just awesome to visit.
The grounds are perfect for a walk, the shops and museum are fun to visit, and the working studios (ceramics, flamework, and glass) are top notch with periodic demonstrations throughout the day.
Highly recommend it for a visit. BUT if you have any interest in art glass, I strongly encourage you to do one of its Make Your Own Experiences. I chose the Paperweight Experience since you use one of their antique molds - how cool is that! And it being the holidays, I went for two with classic glass ornament. They'll match too since I used cobalt and Iris gold as the colors to make them a set.
I'll post some photos of the finished pieces once I pick them up...can't wait! Until then, here are some of Wheaton Arts Glass Studio and a couple of my 'in process' paperweight and ornament!

Wow. We were expecting to spend an hour or so here, to introduce our 13 year old grandson to crafts. We ended up staying for almost 3 hours. Learning about bead making, pottery and glass blowing was made fun by the craftsmen. The museum was very interesting!
Ridley Creek State Park is an expansive area comprising of woodlands and meadows, providing visitors a refreshing retreat to indulge in various outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and picnicking. The park features both paved and unpaved walking trails spread out on over 2,606 acres that are perfect for jogging, biking or dog walking.
First, this is a huge park with lots of parking and picnic areas marked by numbers. So if you need to meet with a group, better share a specific spot or pin it on maps. Otherwise you may end up driving another 10+ minutes to meet your people.
Before I came for the group hike this morning, I thought this park is as “flat” as South Jersey. I was wrong. It’s more mountainous park. So there were quite some elevations going up and down the mountain trails.
We parked at #16 and took the White-Yellow-Blue Loop Trails, with a 6.9 miles today (04/25/2022).
The trails are all marked very well. It’s such a pleasant hike with birds chirping, spring flowers blooming, trees turning green all along. And the running creeks or streams you would pass by adds to the serenity.
In summer, it will be a great park to bring kids to have fun in the water while sitting on one of the benches built by the creeks. Or just picnic at one of the parking & picnic areas for your convenience.
This must be a good place to go fishing as I saw a guy carrying some fish back to his car by the roadside.
I will come back to explore/enjoy more of the park.

This is a great park to take a walk through. My love and I have been there a number of times, for power walks, strolls, or to give the dogs a long walk. There are plenty of mature trees along the walking path which meanders alongside the gentle stream... our favorite. We haven't explored the entire park yet, but I do recommend a visit. I love hiking at this place. They do a great job keeping the trails maintained and the Gary the ranger always has a cheerful attitude. You can tell he really enjoys being there. Full of local history / architecture / and one of the cleanest and most preserved forests in the area. The park offers a wonderful paved walking or riding loop, many different trail heads and parking areas, picnic areas with grills and Pavillions, great areas for fly fishing, and a well documented history of the local settlements. More than you can see in one day, make sure to come back for more and please help keep this park pristine and clean 😊.

Such a wonderful place to hike! They have a historical plantation you can tour (adults are $10), and so many bathrooms along the trails, I loved it! The trails were fun and sometimes challenging, and so beautiful. They intersect and loop around. I’m only giving 4 stars because the GPS directions took us to a dead end, closed off road, so be careful. I wouldn’t put in “Ridley Creek State Park”. Maybe put in something for the white, blue or yellow trail heads and go from there. There is a main area where you can park and also parking at the trailheads. There’s plenty of parking and it was perfect fall weather! They even had an educational display about bats. At the end of our hike, we got to say hi to some beautiful horses. Don’t pet them or feed them though!

This place is a hidden gem for forest bathers. Parking can be a bit challenging to find, but if you appreciate horses, nature, and the beauty of fall foliage, along with a mix of high inclines, flat terrain, and water features, this location might be perfect for you. It's a great spot to unwind and de-stress in the serene natural surroundings. I took some time off here and found it to be an ideal spot for practicing shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing. The area has limited cell service, which can be a blessing for those seeking a break from the constant demands of technology.
During our visit, we covered approximately 10 miles on foot, which was incredibly refreshing. If you find yourself running on low battery due to life's challenges, this is the place to recharge with some much-needed vitamin D. It's a peaceful setting that allows you to practice patience and self-discipline when you need it most.

I was not prepared for the lack of parking for such a well known park. There is no main lot, there are side areas you can pull off on that aren’t paved My recommendation is plan an early morning visit! The main walkway is paved and runs along the creek. We did not walk the main path for long, we found a treacherous deer path the takes you closer to the creek and one wrong step you could slip down the bank into the creek. It was muddy and my Golden Retriever kept stopping and wanting to leap into the water. We eventually came out to the main walkway again. We then opted to take a path that inclined up away from the creek. There we found some actual trails and our fun began! The trails are perfect for a good hike. The trail we took continued to incline for quite some time. The trail is wooded and the views are magnificent. We crossed a small stream that had a little water fall due to recent heavy rainfall. We were the only people on this trail so it was nice and secluded. I thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility and the work out from going mostly uphill. I’m not sure where the trail ends as we did eventually turn around and headed back the same way we came. If you plan to hike on any of these trails make sure you are wearing hiking shoes. I wanted to get some more pictures of the creek so we meandered our way up the paved walk and came to some lovely areas you can walk down to the water. We also came upon a little dock that goes out over the creek. The majority of visitors, at least while we were there, we’re out for exercise, a walk with their dog or out with their families . If you have small children as you can push a stroller all the way along the main walking path. There are no bathrooms just a couple of portapotties. As we were leaving there were large groups of people arriving, I have no idea where they were parking! We very much enjoyed our morning, I recommend adding this park to your must see list.
Tara Zeiser — Google review
Beautiful park! I love the paved walking trail and 5 stars to that trail! Plenty of parking and a bathroom! However I wish the hiking trail map was easier to understand and that there were physical sign posts of trails along the walk ways. I would feel more confident taking the trails more often. There is almost zero cell service in the park so make sure to download or screenshot the trail map on your phone before you enter. Paper maps are rare. Also, if you want to take hiking trails that are not white or blue, there is less parking options (especially on weekends). Orange trail is beautiful but is hard to park near it and it’s dangerous to try and park along the road. Your car might get stuck in the muddy parking spot too. That’s why I deducted one star. Otherwise it’s a fantastic local park!

My husband and I got married at Tyler on 12/4/21 and it was the most beautiful day. Everything we envisioned and more. Gorgeous venue and Lindsay and her team were great in making sure all of the details and decor came together. All of our vendors (recommended by JAM caterers) were excellent. The food was outstanding...guests commented (and I agreed!) it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. I really did not worry about anything the day of the wedding...the crew at Tyler handled everything so smoothly. Really very happy and grateful for such a special day to start our marriage. My children had a blast having deer and goats eat right from their hands, and they also enjoyed the playground. We were all a little disappointed that the website said there would be ponies to ride Labor Day weekend but come to find out they never have them this early in the late summer/ early fall. I ordered delivery of garden soil to my home. Service was amazingly responsive. They answered all my questions. Pricing was reasonable. The delivery was on time and helpful. So why only 2 stars. The quality of the garden soil was not great. The topsoil in the compost/topsoil blend was very heavy clay. They need to add something (maybe sphagnum) to lighten it up. It was heavy and clumpy and should be turned more to loosen up. Also, there were way too many ricks and twigs. Maybe, I’d be better off with a garden center in the future. Otherwise, I do like Linvilla.

This is an awesome place that is a blast for the entire family. You can pick your own fruit, shop at the farmers market, get pumpkins, and do so many other things it’s epic. Most of their baked items are good and the farmers market is excellent, although the items aren’t cheap so bring a few extra bucks. That said there are two negatives: parking and the number of people during the peak times. There is a lot of parking here (it’s best to bring a mid size suv since most isn’t paved), but during peak times there are A LOT of people. During peak times of the year you should expect backed up traffic and few free spaces when visiting mid day. This can lead to a lot of circling the parking lot and trying to navigate through the insane crowds. Non peak season parking is noticeably better so you can often just stroll on inside, but during the peak season get here early and try to come before 11am. Also! The pick your own shed is to the right of the lot so if you park close to the farmers market you’ll need to walk a bit to get to the pick your own shed.

Amazing experience 😍 Loved the field. Honestly, I had no idea it would be this hard to find good ripe strawberries 🍓 to pluck 😱, on top of that it rained ☔️. However the blueberry fields were amazing, perfectly ripe and quite enjoyable. I would love to go there in all seasons and see what fruits and flowers they have 🥰😍
Update: Just went to pluck autumn crisp apple 🍎 and Concord grapes 🍇. It was amazing 🤩 plentiful fruits.

Great place to take the kids on a weekday afternoon. I love that it’s free to see the animals, and only a dollar (honor system) to play at the playground which is great for small kids! The last time we visited, they had the cutest baby goats near the market that you could pet.

Our second year coming to Linvilla to pick apples and it def didn’t disappoint. We were at the tail end of the picking season for Pink Lady but there were still plenty on the trees. We also picked Granny Smith and Gold Rush. We had brought my in-laws who were visiting us and they absolutely enjoyed the u-pick experience. We ended up with so many apples that it was more than enough to share with family/friends and still have plenty left for us to enjoy for weeks. Looking forward to next season!

Me and my daughter had a BLAST. We arrived around 8:45 and it was empty so we had the playground to ourselves for a good while. Arrive early because at 10 am school buses arrived with so many kids . Face painting was 15 dollars (different options depending on what you get. The lady did an amazing job.
Seeing the animals was nice nd picking out pumpkins
Enjoyed funnel cake and ended it with a train ride that was 6 dollars
My advice bring cash
Only thing that annoyed me was the million of bees but thats just nature🤷🏾♀️

Good place to go and hang out with a couple friends. The pizza was okay... It wasn't the best but it was okay. Price was 12$ for a pizza- 13$ for a pizza with pepperoni. Beer is $7 for a cup. They have a huge hot sauce selection and same for jam and pickles.

If I could give this place six stars I would. This has to be the fall harvest Mecca! They have everything for the family including a beer garden for the alcoholic in the bunch, Lol. Animals, train rides, play areas and shopping for all Autumn Halloween related items. I don't even know what to call it, because it has everything. Apple orchard, cider mill petting zoo train rides everything you can imagine. Highly recommend this stop in the fall.

Awesome place for shopping, trying out new alcohol, seeing some farm animals, and going on their Hayride. I have gone on their Hayride twice, and loved it! Linville is a quaint, but fun place to be.

Linvilla is dear to my heart! Such a fun place! We come here often- as its open year round! Wonderful farm! They have fresh produce to pick with varieties during the year (with what’s in season)
Also love their produce market which has tons of local produce, their own crops & local baked/canned/jarred goods!
Besides the market, they also have a impressive greenhouse with every houseplant you can dream of. Lots of cute house decor items & anything you can think to purchase!
They can be busy on the weekends but have plenty of parking. Always fun during fall season with pumpkins & Halloween decorations!
