The perfect place to have our wedding. Sonya and her staff were always available for all the questions we had.
The day of our wedding, the staff were great. They served our guest quickly and were extremely polite.
The venue was beautiful and accommodated our decorations perfectly.
The outside area across the bridge and by the pond created an absolutely wonderful back drop by our ceremony.
I highly recommend Castle Finn for all your events.
Charity Elliott — Google review
Castle Finn is a very beautiful venue for any occasion. We have utilized it for a wedding, birthday, and retirement party. The owners are amazing and have been so helpful in assisting us to make each event special for our family and friends. Highly recommended!

I loved the wine flight. The building and grounds are beautiful. Friendly, helpful staff. We are hoping they also have beer next time

My granddaughter had her Weddings reception here. I felt for the money you don't get much. She got a room and a bartender that quit when the dj quit even though the room was rented until 10 pm. No fire in the outside fire pit. Water feature was not working. You paid 25 cents for food to feed fish in the pond but there are no fish. Nice clean room.

Great place to stop and sample localy made wine. You can also purchase wine by the bottle as well as cheese and crackers. Lots of seating inside and out. There is a lovely lake out back to relax by. Also a venue for weddings and events.
The Candles Holocaust Museum and Education Center is a small but impressive museum in Indiana that was founded by a survivor of the Holocaust. The exhibits are informative, interactive, and provide detailed explanations about the history of this tragic event. Visitors can also attend presentations given by the founder herself, who shares her personal experience as one of the Mendel twins at Auschwitz. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, making it an enjoyable learning experience for anyone traveling through Terre Haute.
Very good museum. Your given a choice of viewing yourself or having a guided tour. No cost difference. Your going to want the guided tour, you will learn so much more. Allow 2-2 1/2 hours for the guided tour.
Bobby Hester — Google review
Great museum! Loved the information that we got. Even though it was policed by them not by myself the parent what my child could learn. Docent was very informative and passionate. No where on any site did it say admission was only for an hour. Was disappointed as we drove from Indy and was rushed out before even finishing the second room. The lady at the front cut off the docent mid story and barely allowed to take a picture in the room due to time when we didn't necessarily opt for a guided tour but got one anyways from the docent (who again was lovely, we did enjoy her stories). Was not really left alone to peruse by ourselves again resulting in missed part of the museum by time end which was weird for a museum. Make sure you have plans on top of the museum, as I'm not sure I would have came for a rushed tour with a 3 hr round trip.
Overall a lot was left to be desired by experience. Daughter left frustrated that they refused to answer questions and only stated that she was too young to understand concepts she had knowledge of prior to coming to the museum. Wish we could have walked around by ourselves so I could explain it myself to her. Would have more pictures to post if they let us take more.
Ashley Kleeberg — Google review
I absolutely love this place! I wish it was bigger and had more but what it does have is so amazing! Can't wait to go again! I would highly recommend! Great to visit if you are traveling though Terre Haute. Only need a few short hours.
Jessica Weir — Google review
A wonderfully informative experience. This was such a horrible time in history that is respectfully presented.
The hologram question and answer session was something I’ve never experienced before and very neat. I’m glad I finally had the opportunity to visit with my family. The docents were very informative and would happily answer any questions. We all left learning quite a bit of information and had lots to discuss on the ride home.
My only suggestion would to be to be open a little longer than 4pm. It was hard to plan a day to visit where we could make the long drive and still have enough time to go through the museum and not have to rush.
Kerri Heslin — Google review
This museum is a must visit for anyone, but is important to teach our children what can happen if we as a nation don't watch what our leaders are doing. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.
edward schrey — Google review
I found the museum very informative about the life of Eva Moses Kor and her journey as a holocaust survivor. I liked theater where the docent asks Eva’s holographic image questions because you get a feel for the her as a person in her own voice. It’s a small museum but I felt it was well worth the price of admission.
Tim Doak — Google review
This is a very sobering museum and very well presented. The hologram of Eva Mozes Kor is remarkable. You can ask questions and she will answer them, sometimes a little more generically than you would like, but since it was all programmed before Mrs. Kor passed, It is amazingly. Well done. Her stories are very sad and it's amazing that she could be able to forgive the people the Nazis who did these things to her and to the rest of her family.
I plan to go back again because it's a lot to take in at any given time.
Carolyn Niemantsverdriet — Google review
I had no idea there was a holocaust museum in Indiana. Very informative. Staff was super-friendly and explanations were detailed and interesting. Virtual interview of a holocaust survivor was amazing
Adam Heller — Google review
Fantastic resource on an aspect of the Holocaust that not everyone is aware of. You can see and feel the passion that Ms. Kor had when developing this place. Everyone should visit this museum at least once. Knowledgeable staff who clearly have a passion for educating others.
Small facility that only takes a couple of hours to see. Make sure to take time to visit the interactive program and ask questions.
Not really a negative but I do wish the staff were less intrusive with their multiple offers to go with you though the facility. Offer once or twice then let visitors ask if they want assistance. We were asked no less than 14 times in the approximately 2 hours we were there. Sometimes, especially with a topic such as this, a person just needs to be able to process things on their own and at their own pace.
Tiffany Pulkowski — Google review
Wonderful museum with a rich history, the founder of CANDLES was a holocaust survivor and one many Mendel twins at Auschwitz. The staff were attentive and generous with their knowledge. Exhibits full on information and interactive.
Sarah Hartman — Google review
We went for a field trip with my daughter's school. It was a informational and moving couple hours. We learned some things and got to hear about Eva's story. Definitely worth the trip!
Heather Williams — Google review
While it's a small museum, my dad and I spent a little over 3 hours here. The employees giving the guided tour have a wealth of knowledge and add a lot of extra information to Eva Kor's story that you wouldn't otherwise find out about just by solely reading the signs.
Gregory Padgett — Google review
I loved this place! I learned a lot about the Holocaust, Eva Moses, and her family.
Gavin Tuel — Google review
Welcomed with warmth as we made our way inside after visiting the beautiful outdoor mural painting. The stories spoken by a hologram of Eva M. Kor came to life and gave me the chills. I now understand how her forgiveness helped her (and her twin), to survive that gruesome past. A small museum that had to be rebuilt after vandals torched it, was yet another reminder to forgive, carry on, and rebuild. This was quite educational throughout the whole experience and how much it affected many ethnic backgrounds who were held captive and killed. The docents are very knowledgeable
about the life of Eva Kor and Walter Sommers, another holocaust survivor.
Judy Haskell — Google review
A very cool place to visit. My wife and I learned a lot. The docents were all top notch.
Max Hotz — Google review
Eva Kor survived the Holocaust and was a victim of Mengele's experimentation. She lived 30 years in Terre Haute, and the museum is a lovingly crafted tribute and testimony to her life and pursuit of peace and forgiveness. The museum's docents are knowledgeable and helpful. The tour can take from 2-3 hours, and on-site parking is available.
Terre Haute Children's Museum is a long-standing establishment that offers interactive exhibits on science and technology. It caters to children of varying ages and provides a lot of activities for them to enjoy while learning. The museum has policies in place, such as mandatory mask-wearing for visitors above the age of 5, but some have observed that they are not strictly enforced.
This is an awesome place to bring your kids!! They have so many cool exhibits and activities for the kids to do, and most of them have some sort of lesson to them. This is also a great place to take your kids and have them run around and burn out their energy. There’s so much to do here, and it was genuinely an enjoyable experience! I 100% recommend it if you have kids!
Nathan Foxworthy — Google review
If you go early enough on a weekday you might get lucky enough have the whole place to yourself like we did! Took my son around 11:30am on a Wednesday and we had an absolutely wonderful time.
A broken exhibit or two was noticed, but for us it really wasn't an issue because with the several other properly working exhibits we were happily overwhelmed with activities.
We will definitely be visiting again soon! ❤️

Excellent staff, very clean facility, lots of family fun. My kids and I did the Ropes Challenge and we had a great time climbing around the different obsticles. It was a little scary but fun to push the limits knowing you are completely safe and can not fall because you are wearing a full body harness. My kids were ready for bed by the time we had been there for 4 hours. All I can say is this place is fun, fun, fun!
james cree — Google review
I took my 5 year old here on a daddy daughter date and we had such a fun time. Definitely worth checking out!
ry serna — Google review
We had a great time. The first time we went, we did lots of fun stem and learning activities. The second time we went we tried the ropes course and it was awesome! There are many cool balancing things like balance beams, rope bridges and more. The zip line was very fun.
julielagree — Google review
Place was very cool. Only problem is most of the exhibits had very little instruction on how they worked or what they were for and some just did not work at all. Also we paid for the ropes course and told it closed w the rest of the business at 5 so we waited to do it and wound up not getting to do it at all because they closed it at 330. They also would not refund our money but instead wanted to offer a do it again vouchers to go back another day and do it. Other then that most of the exhibits that worked or had all the proper pieces and instructions were pretty cool. My kids enjoyed it anyways

My family and I went here to spend some time together on a Saturday afternoon. My son had so much fun while learning some things along the way. The employees were so nice and helpful.

Great place to take kids. My great nephews are 6 and 7, they loved the hands on. They kept busy for 3 hours.

I used to take my 2 grandgirls here 14 years ago. I'm lucky to take my 2 year old grandson. He loved the market and shopping carts. So many things to explore. It was a great day of fun memories
Lisa Blair — Google review
It's way too loud, the sound carries from one side of the place to the other. With all the excited children, it makes for an unpleasant experience for anyone with sensitive ears. We stayed because my kids were having fun, and going is about them.
Athena — Google review
Nice. Several interactive areas. My toddler has fun... Only a few items were too big for her. We stayed for 2.5 hrs. (Note: charged for 2 yr olds...most places start at age 3.)
Dt B — Google review
This is an awesome place to take kids. There is no shortage of fun activities to keep your kids occupied all day. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly and helpful.
Cassidy — Google review
My G. Granddaughter loved it. She is 2. 5 minutes after we arrived a swarm of kids arrived. I thought too many children at 1 time but they all had chaperons.
Sally Whalen — Google review
My girls, 2,4, & 6, loved this place! We chose to go here because on their website, and posted on their door, it says that everyone 5 and up must wear a mask. At first, it seemed everyone was complying but as time went on I saw more and more who weren’t. So it doesn’t seem they are too concerned with enforcing their policy which is why we won’t be returning. Lots of activities and a meet little place but don’t seem to care for safety as much as they say they do.
Alisha Lynch — Google review
What a fabulous little place! So glad we ran across this adventure. Not huge but a great few hours of entertainment that the kids will want to go back to! We'll definitely be returning soon!
BunnyLynn B — Google review
Lots of stuff to see and do and wasn’t overly crowded. I did feel like some areas were lacking in supplies for what you were meant to be doing which made things a little difficult because trying to explain to a young child that they can’t complete the task because there aren’t enough supplies available is tough. Otherwise was a good and cheap day trip for our family.
Kristin L — Google review
Lots to do and lots of fun for all ages. It's a smaller museum than Indy so you can easily explore everything in a afternoon. Ropes course is extra but worth it for the older kids and adults. Also has a nursing room which is a plus. We are access pass members so we're able to go for only 2$ each. Anyone that receives any FSSA benefits including medicaid is eligible and it's amazing!
Update: Getting frustrated with the small portion sizes for the amount. Got the Mediterranean flat bread and it was on a 6 in round pita for $6.50. I understand it's quality ingredients but it doesn't make me want to eat lunch here.
Best cookies in town straight from the land of the world's best baking powder. Their lunch menu is very good, I love the pesto sandwich. Great atmosphere inside, vintage and historic but modern. Cool displays of coffee machines and old elevators inside. Their Bakery is my favorite part, everything is amazing. You have to try the cookies, and little cakes. The first Friday of every month, they have a Chef's Night. It's a pop-up kitchen that has different category of food each time. I look forward to this the first of every month.

A gem of history and heritage, along with delicious food! I’ve had lunch at Clabber Girl many times, always a great experience. Recently I had the chance to try their breakfast and it was even better than I expected.
I ordered a veggie omelet made with egg whites, and I had only just sat down with my coffee before my breakfast was on my table. The omelet was heaped with fresh spinach and tomatoes. The biscuit was so soft, buttery and warm, probably fresh from the oven. Every meal tastes authentically scratch-made, like it’s straight from grandma’s kitchen.
Having all the black-and-white photos and historic artifacts in the dining rooms and the museum really completes the feeling that you’ve stepped back a century in time. Really well done!
Carla Knapp — Google review
Cool story and history of family and business. Museum was well done and a nice detour before or after a bite to eat. Had the Turkey Avacado sandwich and was fresh, nothing fancy, yet good...probably add some side chips to make the value better.
JAM — Google review
The environment is very nice and expected a lot. However, ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and it is processed chicken. Tasted like a Mcchicken sandwich from McDonald’s at seven times the price (7.25 vs. a dollar), and the sandwich came with no sides. My wife left hungry. The soup I had was very good though.
David Sweeley — Google review
I ordered the veggie sandwich and garlic tomato soup, it was delicious! I will definitely be coming back for more. The Brookie (brownie cookie) is also to die for as well as the Rex coffee. Such an awesome place in Terre Haute.

Came into town my cousin brought me here. I made sure we came back 1 more time before I left. Really cozy, quite a really good place to hang out with friends.

We had an overnight stay in Terra Haute on a road trip and stopped here on a whim. The Clabber Girl bakery was exactly the kind of gem we look for on our cross country road trips! Friendly service and good food were great, plus the free museum inside was a perfect pit stop. We will never look at the baking aisle in the grocery store the same!

Deming Park is a vast recreational area spanning 177 acres, offering an array of facilities and activities for visitors to enjoy. The park boasts amenities such as a swimming pool, disc golf course, several pavilions, ponds and beautiful grounds that are well-maintained. Additionally, the park has special pressure protection asphalt for people with disabilities to ensure they can access all areas easily.
Beautiful and spacious park in terre haute. Sweeping grounds with multiple pavilions, ponds, a public pool, and disc golf course. Grounds were well maintained and roadways easy to maneuver.

Such a beautiful park! The walking trail is great!
The grounds are kept very well. There usually isn’t a day. A lawn keeper isn’t keeping the grounds.
Great play area for children also.
Train, ponds, gazebo’s….just an overall beautiful place to go!

One of the largest and nicest parks I’ve visited! Set in a lovely neighborhood, this park is perfectly shaded by large, beautiful trees. There is a creek and a pond with a fountain. There are multiple shelter houses for picnics. The playground is awesome - lots of great options to play. There is a pool, a railroad, disc golf, and golf course available as well. A great place to go!

Great place to take your children. They have the special pressure protection asphalt for people with disabilities. Took my daughter out she lives the musical toys. The butterfly girl at the front reminds us that no matter your daily struggles just like a butterfly we will spread our wings and fly one day.

Fun park for the family. They have a train ride, Christmas lights, and a play place for the kids. An all around fun time.
Bob Beck — Google review
The play area is nice and enclosed so only one way in. It’s older but mostly well kept. There is a ton of nice grassy area to have a picnic or run around and also nice pavilions which we didn’t use. Nicest park bathroom I’ve ever seen, clean, with soap and towels. Very well maintained. We stopped her on a long road trip and it was close to the highway and easy to find.
Samantha Althoff — Google review
Absolutely love the park. So many things to do for all ages. We had a nice luncheon with the family and all ages was accommodated from 5 to 75. The walking trails to the playgrounds and all in-between was clean and easy to access. The restrooms could have better lighting but other than that Deming park was an amazing time out with the family.

This is one of the nicest parks in Terre Haute. The pool isn't great, it's mostly deep which isn't that great for little kids or even just playing around, but it's the only one in town. Other than that, this park is beautiful. It has ponds, trees, shelters, and a great playground. It's always clean and perfectly maintained. A+

We went sledding today. It was great that the park put hay bails in front of the trees and fencing up in front of the ditches for the purpose of keeping slender safe!! I love that!!

Wonderful very quiet manicured park , you can tell the city and residents love this park they have a pool here and a train ride in the middle of the park. Lots of shelters to have a picnic at and a Frisbee golf course. Also many huge old trees in the park so shady :)

This was my first visit to the park. The playground is awesome, with a large area for bigger kids and a small area for Littles. I am excited for the train to open and to see the park in the spring. I was surprised at how many people were walking dogs, I thought it was a dog free park. I will update my review in the spring.

I went to the park to go walking. Beautiful park. Amazing job at keeping it clean and mowed. I enjoyed walking around the park, there are benches all over the park to stop, sit and watch birds and squirrels. There are a lot of shade trees and plenty of places to have a picnic. Impressive18 hole disc golf course
This place is amazing! Really enjoyed the tour and our guide was really nice and very insightful on all the cats and their back stories. Keep in mind this is a RESCUE center. These people do an amazing job saving big cats and giving them a better home.

Joe has created an amazing sanctuary for big cats. Many of these animals spent a majority of their lives in unimaginable conditions, and now they have the space and care they deserve. The enclosures are huge. The staff follow strict procedures to keep both humans and cats safe. We had an amazing afternoon seeing these beautiful creatures up close. Check them out if you're nearby!

Absolutely so much for all ages. Our tour guide was fantastic and very informative! For $10, you cannot go wrong with this amazing facility. I drove 2 hours away to get there and would do it again!
Carlee Russell — Google review
In a half-hour tour, we learned about many of the animals they care for, how they came to be at the rescue center, and saw their unique personalities. It's clear that the staff love and care for the animals. We visited late in the day, when the animals had already been fed, so they were sleepy. The best time to visit is a cloudy day around 10 am.
Margaret Hiscock — Google review
This was a nice up close experience with the exotic cats. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us the stories on what landed the cats at the rescue center. My entire family enjoyed our experience. I am only rating it 4 stars due to the following that could be improved upon. There wasn't a parking lot. The bathroom facility was a port a potty. The animal enclosures look as if they could use some updating as far as fencing goes, but then again, we are also not experts in this field. Overall an enjoyable experience for our family at a reasonable price, and we will likely be back!
Megan Smithhart — Google review
Took my daughter on a spring break adventure to this amazing gem of a place. I've loved cats my whole life especially tigers. It's wonderful to see these beautiful babies living a peaceful life for the rest of their days. A lot of them have come from bad places so it's amazing to see them given a better life. It was an hour long walk around the park. It's a wonderful place to take your family. Small kids are welcomed but I honestly don't think they would enjoy it as much as an older child. It is a bit of walking. I wish I lived closer or I would be a more frequent visitor. You should consider a trip if you enjoy cats like me. Also consider donating so they can continue doing an awesome job!

The staff was fantastic. It's good to know that places like this are here to take care of these beautiful cats. So much information and so sad how these beautiful cats were treated before they came to their new home with them. Everyone should visit and help support these beautiful Animals. Please visit.
You will really enjoy and learn so much about them.

We had a great tour with Sam! We needed a ride for our tour, which they accommodated. The path is gravel/stone, so if you walk, at least wear sneakers. The work they are doing here is so impressive. The cats look healthy and content. We highly recommend a visit!
Monica Schwarz — Google review
My friend took me to this place one chilly morning in January recently. I was really not sure what to expect. But this place is really one of a kind. Having paid the modest entrance fee we chatted to the lady in the kiosk who then turned out to be out informative guide. We were joined by 4 local gentlemen and the 7 of us then started the tour. Our guide was extremely well informed and had little anecdotes for almost every tiger, bob cat, fox, leopard, puma that we saw. And there are many animals to view here. I don't think that I've ever been so close to these beautiful but dangerous animals. Some of the stories about their past were very sad.
Anyway, on such a dreary January day it was somewhat depressing to think that most, if not all of these animals will ever leave. They're bound to live the rest of their lives out here. And that's also sad as most have only a modest amount of space to prowl up and down.
If you ever in this part of Indiana I thoroughly recommend that you visit this very unique place.

Great place to go to see big Cats up close.
Make a reservation ahead of time since they take small groups on their tours.
A guided tour through the grounds with any available information on each Feline.
They rescue all types of felines from all over and many of the big cats are hollering at time during the tour.
You are walking through paths & grass etc so wear shoes or sneakers.
Will definitely go again.

It is a very neat tour. You must stay with your guide and they talk about each animal. Our 5 year old grandson had a little trouble staying quiet and listening.

Lovely walking tour with many well cared for exotic cats (lynx, bobcat, serval, tigers, white tigers, lions and pumas). The mornings are a special treat with the lions roaring back and forth to each other. It's very informative and the big cats are taken care of very well. Children love this place!

By far, my favorite place to go! I can’t imagine people giving this place lower than 5 stars! I would give it more if I could! Joe and all of his staff are incredible! I’m a CVT, so learning about how they take care of all the cats on a medical stand point was fascinating. The work all the people do here is incredible! I’ve been multiple times and have even done the overnight experience! One of my favorite memories!!
I love this place and I can’t wait to go back!

Pretty decent place!!! They're doing great work. I had a 7 and 3 yo and the only issue was they just wanted to see the cats and not hear the tour guide. Maybe guides could shorten it down for the littles?
Ashley Jones — Google review
This is a place that was created out of necessity. If it wasn't for this place some of these beautiful cats would have been put down. The visit here is 1000 times better than the zoo. It's you and the majestic cats divided by a chain link fence. This place is compassionate, exciting, sad and a once in a lifetime opportunity. Just wait when a Harly rides thru there! You will feel the vibration from the lion's roar. It's beyond incredible.

Rescue center shelters wide variety of big cats and you can experience them from near (relatively). They have started keeping other animals too like foxes etc.
The environment was quite calm and away from city - about 2 hrs drive from Lafayette. Definitely a must see if you visit IN.
Trinity, our guide, was very articulate and clear during the trip. She was patient enough to answer each of our questions with best of her knowledge. Looks like cats will start loving her too eventually as she is relatively "new" to her job.

Andy and Janice were great tour guides. This is way off the beaten path but should be a must-see for any student of WW2, history buffs in general, and maybe even journalism students. Ernie was at one time the most well known Hoosier in the country and probably the most well known journalist.

Find a way to visit or set up a visit. Phill Hess gave us a tour that will stand as one of the best tours ever taken. People need to read columns by Ernie Pyle to truly understand what went on at ground level during WW II. It may curb some of today's whining about so many things...

Wow!! Our tour guide Phillip Hess was amazing, recounting Pyles columns and stories from memory. What a tremendous homage to Pyles storytelling. Took you to the front lines of WWii. Died a heroes death in battle
Beautiful historic bridge that you can walk across. Amazing that these were built so long ago and are still standing. I've heard that this is the one you must visit if you have to see any of them. You cannot drive across this bridge although some of the others you can.

Favorite place to go to the covered Bridge Festival. Mostly flat areas, times to come are early around 8am and around 3pm to avoid massive crowds. If you bring baby strollers nice to have the ones with big tires as there are some places with larger rocks to push over. Parking prices are 5 dollars to 10 dollars. Lots to buy and see.

This is the bridge to see if you can only see a few. It's along the black route. It's picturesque and quaint. The rapids beneath the bridge gave me a feeling how old this thing is. The bridge itself is well-maintained while still looking like a covered bridge and the mill across the stream is a stunning addition to photograph.
And the landscaping around the bridge area gives it an old time feel.

Visited for Covered Bridge Festival. This is my favorite area to go during the festival. All kinds of foods and crafts. It rained and their are many indoor shopping areas thankfully.
The view of the bridge and the trickling water underneath is also beautiful. I had a delicious BBQ bowl and brought home some home decor and a couple beautiful turquoise rings.

It's the covered bridge festival time. We love to just walk around and enjoy everything this place has to offer. Me and my family come down every year for the past 14 years.
Fun, history tour to Mansfield Roller Mill lead by the Racoon Lake Park rangers. Three floors to explore and see it in action. Bonus is the Mansfield Covered Bridge right next to it. This bridge you can still drive your vehicle through which I is a cool bonus.

Absolutely thrilled tonight ! First time in a long time I've had fun going to a vineyard! Wine was incredibly and I even went home with a bottle! Nightly reccomend, the ladies running the counter were very friendly and helped me find the right kind of wine for my tastes! Overall very pleased!

Beautiful vineyard with nice variety of offerings! Great place to pass time with family and my girls loved the farm cats! The wine slushies are worth the trip on their own, but definitely take a growler or bottle with you when you go!

We stopped in near closing time as we passed through on the way back to Indiana. Had a tasting, including the Winey Mary. Meghan provided amazing service and suggested mixing a Bloody Mary mix with their peach jalapeño wine. It was amazing. A must try for all Bloody Mary fans. We also tried Sol, Three Amigos, Pasión, and Sour Puss. All of which were good. Three Amigos and Pasión stood out the most. Three Amigos with its sweet grapy flavor and Pasión with just the right amount of dark chocolate. A must visit!

Wine is very good, but their events need better organized. Trying to serve warm beer is not acceptable. It's very easy to buy a large cooler if anything else. Barn is pretty, but kind of hard to get around the way the tables were set up. Band was good, but they needed a better sound system for the building. We couldn't understand words or anything when someone would talk.

Visited here on Sunday afternoon. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the wines. The wines were good. They have a good selection of different styles of wine. The winey Mary was different and very good. They have a nice rustic building and outdoor seating area.

Cute little Winery with plenty of seating and a great selection of wines. The property coming in was very beautiful. The only thing that made it a 4-star experience was witnessing the women behind the bar pour themselves a glass of wine. Day drinking behind the bar didn't scream responsible to me. Despite that, the women were nice and seemed knowledgeable.

I came up with a nifty set of questions you can ask yourself to decide if you would enjoy it here. If your answer is yes to any of these questions head over ASAP. Is your favorite style wine actually cough medicine? Have you ever been to a pizzaria and thought "I wish this was made in a factory, frozen and then warmed up in a toaster oven"? Do you like cutting artisinal cheese with a cheap plastic serrated knife? Do you enjoy wineries with rodent infestations? Do you think Ritz crackers are simply sublime?
Also, in our short visit we observed four American flags that were defaced. Thanks for that.

Lovely place...can hear some of the highway noise, but nothing too distracting. The wines (dry reds) were good. I would have rated it 4 1/2 stars...but my husband wasn't a total fan of the 4 resident cats roaming around...I however. Loved them!

A very beautiful place to hike during the Fall. We visited it on the last Sunday of October, 2023. We hiked the South riverview loop trail which took us 1.7 hours as we also stopped in between to take pictures. The trail was marked and we didn't come across any poisonous plants. This was an easy trail, except in 2-3 places there were steep ascent and descent. Was less crowded. We didn't use the other recreational facilities at this place. There are restrooms at the beginning and the end of the trail.

We spent 3 days at the campground. Upkeep of the grounds and modern facilities was ok, a few patches of weeds etc. Trailer pads were all level and graveled. I give them major points for having ADA accessible spots that were nice and big plus were paved. The area has lots to do with well kept trails, fishing and a lake with boats boats and swimming.

Great for canoe or kayaking not so great for everything else. Trails are not maintained well, lack of signage near trailheads and a few playground areas lack some serious TLC. Algae growth is prevalent in many areas. Restroom areas are filthy and windows are broken.

Last stayed here four years ago. It's a one nighter for us but very pleasant. There seems to be a lot of work for the workers. The grass was cut just around sites, bath houses, etc but hardly a step further. Looks like a huge storm must a come through a few weeks prior to our arrival.
Important stuff for us was good: clean enough toilets and bath houses, level enough site and camphost was kind. Our stay became better by kayaking and eating some grub over at Kickapoo Adventures (see review). Will we stay here again? Most likely if through this area. Suits our needs, just wish the State of Illinois would provide a little more cleanup services after huge storms. 😊

Been wanting to visit Kickapoo (from Indianapolis) since I started mountain biking last year. Some tight single track, and intense climbs (had to walk two of them on trail 6), and challenging flows. Big thanks to the local mountain bike club for the great features. I started and ended at the playground. Best place to session I found in the Midwest so far. I’ll be back in the spring.

What a beautiful place to visit. I am used to back country camping so this almost felt like cheating, the first thing I'll say is that this is a community style campground. There are electric sites available as. Public restroom and shower. Disc golf corse and multiple trails to hike. I have not hiked here yet.. this is a very beautiful lake with 2 side by side boat launches goodto boat, fish, kayak, canoe and paddleboat, ect. This is a park for a family camp gathering or just get outdoors for a day or few. nights.

Very clean, quiet park. The shower houses are cleaned regularly. Between the 3 camping spots and 6 campers, we saw deer, weasels, wild turkey, great blue Herron, and osprey. The wood is very good and reasonably priced. This is the 3rd time camping here will definitely be back. The first time, my sister and I rented a paddle boat. So fun!
We went on one of the longer trips. Drop off and pick up were smooth. Equipment was in good working order. Creek was low in places, but they have no control over that.

Could use some help with getting the business of floating down.
Getting on and off the river is not visitor friendly, staff is lackluster and there is absolutely no care for the river itself. No trash bags were provided like most floater outfitters. I spent the entire 10 miles picking up trash, just to find out that there is no dumpster or anything to do with the trash at the take out. Unless you want to convince people in the van to give up seats to bring trash back.
You can obviously tell there is no stream clean teams because I was finding old trash. And so many tires and glass.

Kayaking the Sugar Creek is much more tame compared to the whitewater rafting we are used to doing. We booked the 6 mile kayak trip. Water level was low. There was more maneuvering around shallow spots and trying not to get stuck - July 2023. The only reason for the 4 star is the lack of enthusiasm of the staff, except the driver of the bus thanking us for coming.
Joseph Vorrier — Google review
Had a great time. . Other than the guys driving like it was an off road drifting race in a Lil bus it was great. I mean it was kinda fun going that fast on a small bus though so whatever 🤷 🙃... also had to get out and walk the kayak probably like a dozen times cuz the low water but still worth it certainly... 👌

Took the 3 mile trip. On that one you see two covered bridges and a suspension bridge. Pack a lunch as there’s a great stopping place half way down river by the suspension bridge to eat, stop and cool off in the water and/or let the kiddos play.

The river doesn’t photograph well. It was surprisingly clear. The person that updates their Facebook page with river level had me concerned but it was fine. It was a much better experience than the water level on the Blue River near Marengo Indiana. It took us 4 hours for the 3 mile float but we stopped some.

We had a blast floating down the creek! It was a nice 2 miles. Took us around 3.5 hours. It was a perfect way to spend a hot sunny day near turkey run. I would definitely recommend it for a peaceful afternoon
Park with pioneer-era sights offers canyon hiking & horse riding, creek boating, camping & more.
We went for a day tour and totally enjoyed it. The park is easily accessible and offers a lot of fun and activities. A lot of hiking trails and all offers lovely views. They have different levels of hiking trails, from easy to rough. The canyon trails take you inside the canyons and they are beautiful. Inside of the canyons are cool and offers great views. All the trails are properly marked and the map also well marked. Overall, for $7, it was a great dayout for us and would recommend it to all.

It was the first time visiting for my four year old daughter and I and I'll tell you what she was in awe as much as I.
We didn't cover the whole property but in six hours we seen so much beautiful landscape and exotic sandstone carving.
They have a public swimming pool also so after all the hiking and splashing around its a perfect place to end the day.
We drove 3 hours total there and back and I would do it again in a heart beat.

I absolutely LOVE how Indiana parks organize their maps & trails. They’re numbered & marked level of difficulty. They also maintain their trails better than where I’m from. (Illinois) Lots of different things to see at this park from giant boulders moved by glaciers to beautiful waterfalls, interesting ways to get around like ladders & really old stone stairs built into the side of the hills, great views, cool bridges, canyons they have it all! The lodge is just alright but worth it if you want to stay IN the park. I might try camping next time. Super cool & worth a visit for sure. Nice to have at least one full day to hike but I still have so much to see yet! Been twice & still plan on checking it out again.

Great time for sure. We just stayed one night at the campground but did a lot. We rode bikes around the campground and then down to the state park. We had to ride along the highway about one mile to get to the state park but it wasn't too bad with traffic when we went. We saw the horse stable and had to go for a ride. It was a nice ride through the woods. After that we started biking again and saw the snake out on the road from the house stable.

The hiking is absolutely beautiful! Most of the trails are nicely shaded. There are quite a few rugged hikes, for those who are adventurous. If it's a hot day, I highly recommend doing a floating trip or kayaking with Sugar Valley Canoe Trips. We also took advantage of the Olympic size pool. There were a lot of families with their dogs at the campgrounds. There was also a playground for the kids. The bathrooms were very clean and the showers were nice as well.

Turkey Run was absolutely gorgeous. We went early in the morning on a Friday and nearly had the park to ourselves. The kids did a great job hiking and were absolutely awestruck. We loved the park. We hiked down #6 and just got lost in the trail system from there. The suspension bridge is pretty impressive. We made a reservation for lunch early in the day, and I am so glad we did. After that hike, I was happy to sit down to a warm meal. They had some pretty good fried chicken and these little key lime pie cups that were delicious.

My parents haven't been here since 1986 and felt it was time to go back. Very nice park. Gets real dark at night, so make sure to bring a form of light with you. Rockville is about 15 to 20 minutes from the park if you decide to hit the town or need supplies. Wildlife can be seen and heard in the campgrounds, so bring you food in after you are done or a raccoon will eat it.

The best park in Indiana, my eyes for this beautiful gem of a forest in Marshall. I love the trails, the geysers, the rugged landscape and the tough and not so tough hikes. I have enjoyed the scenic beauty of each of natures creation and so enjoy hiking endlessly for hours mesmerized by Turkey run’s beauty. Ample parking, kids area, camping spots, an inn for campers and sufficient provisions for campers as well as hikers. There’s a $7 fee at the entrance and allows access to the entire park. You are given a good map and pamphlet which includes all details to the park. Lovely tourist spot!

We stayed overnight on a weekday, and it was not busy. The cabin was cozy and near the main lodge. The restaurant and pool were very nice. The trails are well maintained. There are a variety of trails offered from easy, moderate, and experienced. The creek was very low and easy to walk across. Trail 3 is the one to go on!

I first came here over 40 years ago and couldn't wait to go back. I finally made the trek and brought my two children. It was magical to watch them bond on the trails and help each other as they explored the natural beauty of this park. Trail 3 was their absolute favorite! They enjoyed hiking through streams, mud, ladders, and were glad that they dressed accordingly. They want to come back and would not making the nearly 4-hour drive to do so.
CAUTION: Some of the trails are not for those with questionable health or limited mobility. There are LOTS of stairs, ladders, tight spaces, water obstacles, etc. to make it potentially difficult to say the least. Do not hesitate to speak with park staff about any concerns and take their advice. They are here to help you.

Turkey run state park is just breath taking! We arrived late on a Friday evening with our camper. Woke up Saturday morning to an absolute beautiful day. Hit the trails (trail 3 was one of our favorites) all day and came back to the campground at the state park and had a great cookout. The campground is clean (if you're pulling a camper be aware some lots are not the most level). All in all this trip gets 👍👍

This was our second visit to Turkey Run. We hiked trail 3 which is one of the more rugged trails. We had to go through streams, small gorges, and up and down tall ladders. A thunderstorm passed through in the middle of our hike but the rain was refreshing. Lots of mud when it's been raining so prepare for that! The temperature was around 95 degrees that day but it is so much cooler through the trails. Such a beautiful place!!

My wife and I booked a room for the weekend at the Inn. A wonderful experience! We were greeted by a very gracious young woman behind the reception desk, her name was Rain. We booked ahead by one year which is suggested if you’re stay is on a weekend, and scored a redecorated room. The trails are absolutely awesome. Some of the most beautiful scenery, with views of sandstone clifs with trees growing right out of the moss. Highly recommend you wear appropriate shoes. Leave those white gym shoes at home, waterproof is best. And if the trail rugged expect to be crossing streams. Its hard to find anyone not having a great day here. And again the staff is tremendously welcoming and gracious. We have never camped here but there are spots for tents and even some for motor homes.

I have absolutely fallen in love with this park... my best friend and I went to Kennekuk County Park together to celebrate her birthday. We hiked on the trails some, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful, healthy trees, tons of birds and butterflies, frogs and toads hopping in and out of the marshes, and all of it was so peaceful! When we got to the river, we waded to a sandbar and found a variety of shells, and just relaxed listening to the river flow and the breeze through the trees. Life at home is busy busy busy with three sons that I homeschool, and not only was Kennekuk the perfect getaway for a day, I can’t wait to go back and take my kids for all of the incredible adventures we can have together, and because there’s a vast amount of science and history in this park with educational opportunities abounding! Fabulous woodland preserve. Their nature center alone gets six stars - Build with wood reclaimed from trees on the location, it has classrooms lined with posters, books and props to thrill a child. The woods are pristine, from the oak hickory mix up high to the pawpaw and spice bushes in the hollows. Should there be a desire there is a white oak barn available for receptions and events, with a playground nearby.
Absolutely incredible facility. This place has generational character, and a story that warms the heart. As a place of joy zipping from tree to tree while observing the scenery from within the depths of the wilderness, this family owned business has a knowledgeable and friendly stuff.
We never felt rushed and always felt safe and comfortable while on the lines. This was my first time ever, and I was able to overcome my fears.
When you first arrive you'll head in and get all the payment and waivers sorted out, you'll then proceed to get geared up, and then get some instruction on the gear, before you head to the first meeting area to gather the group and go over the instructions for zipping.
Dylan and Krista were our guides, and took us through a wonderful experience and confidently had us and the group laughing and having fun while sharing stories and getting to know one another. They had mentioned that larger groups can get congested but ultimately encourage everyone to take it all in every chance you get.

We arrived 4 hours before our appointment due to travel time, and they allowed us to go as soon as we got there. We went as family of 4, ranging from ages 7 yrs-40+. The first run was scary, because you don't know what to expect. My middle child was hesitant, but after a few minutes went for it! He had a great time!! After the fear of the first line, it's fun, exciting, and almost therapeutic. We had a great time and could have done gone on several more runs. Our guides were Krista and Caden. This is one of my favorite places that isn't too terribly far from my location. Everything is well maintained and kept up. Plenty of parking and areas to spread out.
Year round activities at the Nature Center.

Beautiful park with lots of great trails. Most of them are very wide, smooth, and easily accessible, though there are some steeper hills. The trails are all clearly marked with icons to make it easy to keep track of where you are. Trails go through a number of different types of ecology, including plains, marsh, and forests.
There are lots of spots to sit and take a break overlooking the river. The Nature Center also has a bird-watching room with lots of info on identifying birds. There are a few turtles and snakes in the nature center, plus a ton of posters and flyers on local flora and fauna.

Love McCloud Nature Park! The park's naturalists are very informative and great with kids! The fall prairie maze is a family favorite too!

Excellent park. Saw an indigo bunting and several bluebirds, fish in the creek and a lot of flowers still coming up. Well maintained trails you do not have to stare down to navigate and an abundance of beautiful greenery.

My friend and I had never been to or heard of this park until about a week ago. We decided to do a Google search for fall festivals and this one came up. This is a beautiful park! It is absolutely lovely.

This park is the best!!! Not many people know about this park, which makes it a great choice if you want to go to a park and don't wanna bother with a crowd. It's a great place to have a picnic. Great place for families. They have added swing sets recently. The park attendants are very polite as well. Highly recommend if you prefer a secluded place. Have gone there many times.

Great historic theatre. Seats are very comfy and well spaced.

The renovations look great. The seats have lots of leg room. No drink refills but the drinks and snacks are quite inexpensive when compared to other theaters.

I was passing through Hoopeston and noticed the Lorraine Theatre was open. A few years ago I was part of the mold assessment team for the theatre rehabilitation. The cost was in the hundreds of thousands. Jim Richards the president of the Lorraine Theatre foundation said it was too much and wanted to only get the bare minimum done to open. Based on my experience and the "clean up" done, mold at this theatre is a very serious concern now. I would recommended a new mold reassessment be done quickly for public health reasons. I just can't see how this theatre was allowed to open based on what I saw. If I can find the pictures, I will post them.

Love what the Foundation did for the theater. Hoopeston, the whole town should be proud! Beautiful job of restoration. Even the restrooms! The Heather Land show was awesome. I look forward to seeing the concession mural being framed and once again on display. My mom saw vaudeville type shows there when she was a kid. She took my sister Phyllis to see Wizard Of Oz as a first run movie. The first movie I remember she took me to see was Old Yeller. Countless Saturday matinees..... The foundation should at some point put out a book detailing the history and their yard work of getting this beautiful landmark to where it is today. They should look into getting the Lorraine Theater onto the registry of historic landmarks.
Museum in 1 of only 3 remaining rotary jails in the country, with regular events.
We loved our tour. It was very informative and fun. My daughter says she had a blast while learning about the history. She had smiles and enjoyed telling others about what she learned when we left.
We were told about different events that they hold. If you enjoy spooky things, they offer something at Halloween. There are classes held and also open for event rental.
They accept cash ( best option for entry) because Square can not always be reliable in my opinion. It's just $5 entry and that leaves extra for donation for preservation.

Very interesting history. Turns out there is some truth behind the story of the Green Mile and John Coffee. Had never heard of a rotary jail. Worth the visit!

Very cool museum, fascinating history of a time where prison rights were very lax. Interesting rotatory mechanism that was later found to be inhumane. Our tour guide Becky was very knowledge and energetic, we learned a lot. This is a must see if you are in the area.

Most interesting museum we've ever been in! We've traveled the US and several countries and I must say, this is the one that we stumbled on that will forever be remembered! Who knew a rotary jail was a thing? Not us!
The guided tour takes you through the sheriff's residence which has several original furnishings and household items. There's plenty of history to read on the walls and other time period items to learn about but the main attraction is of course the jail! Our tour guide was a bit odd and he was pretty short in his stories and explanations but the gal that toured the jail and basement was perfect! She explained everything in detail and embellished with some tales of the jail!
The jail rotates! Literally spins around with one door in and one door out! Well, that was the way it was built originally and operated until 1933, then they said no more rotating, too many prisoner injuries! It still rotates though, the only one in existence so definitely a must see!

Super cool place to visit! It's the ONLY FUNCTIONING rotary jail left in the country! The other 2 do NOT rotate. The tour guide was passionate about doing her job and was very good! It was only $5 for adults & $3 for kids under 12y.o.

Are you into historic stuff? Does old engineering amaze you? Does history make you curious? Then you are in for a Trifecta treat. This jail is the last working jail of this kind in the country. The history of the building is fascinating and the demonstration was particularly cool. If you are interested in historic one of a kind locations then this is a cheap must stop location for a brief tour through jail life history of this one of a kind rotary style system.

My husband and I had a great time! We had an awesome guide who knew all kinds of history about the jail and the town. Definitely recommend the guided tour so you can get the whole story, and he rotated the cells which was super cool to see! Beautiful building in the living quarters with lots of original furnishings. A cast of John Dillinger's death mask was displayed which was neat and creepy. Also, the story of John Coffee from The Green Mile came from this jail! All in all, a unique experience to be had.

Great off the wall, unique museum! The docent was very knowledgeable, and frankly, the whole thing is fascinating!! There's not much to do in town, but I went there as a side trip from Indianapolis. They also have a John Dillinger death mask copy on display with other notable pieces of early 20th century memorabilia.

The General Lew Wallace Study & Museum features 19th-century buildings belonging to General Lew Wallace, a renowned author of the classic novel Ben-Hur. The museum showcases original pieces from his study and offers untaught history on this accomplished individual and war veteran. The tour guides are knowledgeable and friendly, and visitors can enjoy clean bathrooms and a nice gift shop. Whether you are a local or not, it is definitely worth visiting this interesting historical spot.
A fabulous experience! Tom gave a guided tour that was detailed and interesting. The life of General Wallace was important. From writing Ben-Hur, to military and diplomatic careers, he was a significant Hoosier. Worth your time.

25$ a person, need to have a flag for your vehicle. You can buy one there or attach your own. Can bring your own car as long as it has some sort of 4wd, we took my friends 2002 TJ Jeep without a problem, road legal. There is a huge property and you can go wherever you want. There is dense forest, sandy flat, sandy dunes (steep ones), and even deep muddy trails. Try not to get stuck, try not to roll over 💯

Badlands Off Road Park is the go-to spot for off-road enthusiasts, whether you’re on an ATV, dirtbike, or SUV. The park offers a variety of trails that test your skills across different terrains, from easy rides to challenging paths. Notably, the park maintains cleanliness—quite impressive given the muddy adventures. Showers with hot water are available, a blessing after a day of riding.
There’s plenty of camping space, making it perfect for a full weekend getaway. Nights here are remarkably quiet, providing a serene atmosphere to unwind after an adrenaline-filled day. It’s more than just an off-road location—it’s a place where you can relax and have fun, regardless of the weather. Prepare for an exceptional experience, because Badlands isn’t just about mud and full throttle; it’s also about the great atmosphere and the people you meet. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to let loose and relax at the same time

It was okay for being in the Midwest. A lot of very narrow areas. It's not anything like the southwest trails where I'm from but it was okay. Trails could do a bit of maintenance and cleanup. The signage throughout the park could also really use an improvement to help you where you're at and where you want to go to. Overall, I didn't hate it or like it.
And the staff was great. Just thought to say that as well. The store is very good.

Monday 3:30pm. Not busy. First visit.
Small 50 year old chocolate shop where you can see the chocolate being made. A lot of variety from dark chocolate to white chocolate. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I got a small 1/4 lb box of a white chocolate variety. (9.95+tax). They have larger size as well. I also picked up a white chocolate bar $7.95. Boyfriend got box of truffles for $27.50.
The cashier upsold us on the white chocolate pretzels. Delicious!! They also had dark and milk chocolate pretzels.
If you think chocolate is just chocolate, then you won't enjoy this place like I did, but if you know a good chocolate when you taste it, go in and get some. They have samples as well. I enjoyed all the chocolates that we purchased.

I want to give it 5, but the prices are just too high. $40 per lb for chocolate is just way too absorbent. And there really are only a few kinds they sell here that I like.

Heard good things about this course but it’s not true. It’s dry and rock hard. Spacing tee times four minutes apart? $70. Sand traps overgrown with weeds…. Weird. Won’t be back. This is the 9th hole. (Still 4 groups on a hole with two groups behind me waiting)

Founded in 1869, this school is known for its air & space, engineering, science & English programs.
One of the greatest US higher education institutions. A real focus on engineering and agriculture issues that matter. Graduated more astronauts than any other school including Neil Armstrong. The engineering program may be the best in the US or world, tons of research going on and they have a lot of associated research campuses next to the campus including with aerospace companies. Great internship opportunities for students. They are really focused on getting students real skills to get a job which contributes to society. The campus is full of fun bright young people who restore your faith in the future and our youth. It is a real college campus feel, so much fun and so incredibly well run and operated. They treat their students like their "customers", and really do what the very best for them.

Chinese professors in American universities always give U.S. taxpayer-funded scholarships to Chinese students who came straight from China, whose parents and grandparents have never paid taxes to the IRS. These Chinese students get to attend American universities and graduate for free.
Scholarships should only be given to students who are U.S. citizens.

A University should want their students to succeed and set them up for success with proper housing. Purdue exhibits terrible treatment of students. No planning whatsoever for the students major area of study when placing the students in housing so they can be placed in the part of campus closest to their classes. For example they place many engineering students furthest away from their classes. No concern whatsoever for students. It does not take a lot of effort to place students in housing close to where their classes will be for the most part.
Purdue over enrolls for the financial gain and then puts three and four students in rooms designed for two.
Horrible crowding!
Prospective students beware!!! We were lied to during campus tour and told housing issues had been resolved. Far from it!
Much too expensive for out of state students to be treated so badly by the Purdue Administration. There are many fine universities that treat their students like human beings, Purdue not being one of them.

If you are a transfer applicant, please don't apply for math or anything else that is related to the department of mathematics and statistics. I have heard a lot of cases where they refused many good background transfer students who applied math. They give some vague reasons, like space limitations or unsatisfaction with prerequisite courses. They don't show any information about their limited-space programs like other universities do. And they never ask for your course syllabus before denying your application. And the academic advisor at this university I contact is kind of pretentious; she seems to leave me with the impression that Purdue is the best university in the US. I need to try my best to get admitted at all costs, no matter what major I choose, though I have shown my preferences and interests.

Action-packed park featuring a seasonal zoo, walking trails & a high-energy playground.
This is a cute little park in Lafayette, Indiana. They have a zoo, water slide, baseball field and all the amenities for a fun day out with the kids.

Small and easy to walk around zoo. Fun for my toddler and stroller friendly. It costs me $6 to get in and $4 for the train. We also paid for 2 feedings for goats. Admission was way less than you’ll ever spend at another zoo!
There’s a micro splash pad that doesn’t throw water up too high. We did grab a few cold drinks from the gift shop.
All in all we spent 1.5 hour there, less than $20 and had a good time.
If you are going with a toddler, I highly recommend a stroller. It’s a good hike from the street parking lot to the entrance.
They do have a handicap parking lot behind the entrance.
After leaving the zoo you can pop over to the community park. It’s free!

This was a really fun and cheap trip. It was only $2 per person to get in. For .49 you can feed the goats. That was really fun. The goats were way gentler than I imagined. Make sure you get your goat feeding tickets at the entrance. They don't sell them at the Family Farm. It was really fun. There was a good amount of animals and you can tell they are well cared for.

9/23/23- Great place for kids and to grill. Lots of things to do besides the play area. You can take a walk around the pond and see the fountains. You can take pictures all over the place.
Today the Tippecano Latin Festival was held there today with lots of people and sponsor's. Plenty of things to do for kids and adults. It's a yearly event. Lots of fun!

It's not a large zoo, but it's nice. It's very clean. It's 2 dollars a person to get in, goat feed and train are extra, but worth the few extra bucks. Our only disappointment was not being able to see the penguins because of the air quality. We will definitely be making several trips to this little gem!!!

Went on a overcast Autumn Wednesday. It was a beautiful, peaceful day for some one on one time with the little. LOTS of new animals and stuff to do!
Also, a new restaurant/pub on Scott Street! We had lunch there before the Zoo and it was phenomenal! Reasonably priced, absolutely delicious food, very kind waitress, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend a day trip! It's all in one spot! Food, Zoo, Playground, and ice-cream! All at reasonable prices! 😊
Diverse terrain for hiking, biking, birding, camping & more, plus working farm with public programs.
I love the open grassland trails. I walked trails 1 and 2. The pond on trail 2 was lovely and they have benches set up by it. Would be great place for a picnic.

One of the best places around to watch the sunset. Great to visit at any time of the year, but it really wakes up in April/May and is a great spot to see migratory birds (and early spring wildflowers). It's a must-visit place in late summer/early fall: native wildflowers create almost a sea of color in the prairie.

First time today, wanted to take advantage of the cooler weather. I hiked trails 3 and 4 and they were beautiful. The restoration going on along trail 4 is cool; seems like there's native plantings going on in strips and between them is kept mowed, presumably to allow the native plants to get going. I got a little turned around so I ended up taking the paved trail back to where I parked. Loved the paved trail, lots of people out and about. I will definitely return to check out the rest of the park. Looks like they have a part of the park showing how the indigenous peoples who resided there lived. Not very many benches along 4 unfortunately. I just plopped down on the ground to rest. I appreciate the cutouts to overlook the water along trail 4 as well. Lovely park! It's apparently the newest Indiana State Park, established in 2004, definitely will return!

This park exceeded my expectations! I will be back in the summer as there are a variety of fun family things to do. The Hiking is great as well! You have 2 options: you can stick to the miles of paved trails and a nice boardwalk through the prairie marsh or you can go on more rugged trails. Most of trails 1 and 2 are easy (a few wet spots in the grassy areas near the marsh). It’s a mix of hardwoods, open prairie and near beautiful streams and ponds. As you walk through the tall prairie grass, you can almost connect to the native Americans that called this place home. Note that trails 3 and 4 have more elevation changes and are easily susceptible to flooding (see pics attached). Be prepared for mud in those areas.

This is a new find for us during our 5years stay in Indianapolis and when we are almost out of options as a new park visit in and around Indianapolis. And what a find. The trails are amazing. Grass land is choke full of flora and fauna. Great wild life. Nice fishing lakes and playground area. Superb picnic spots. It's not as big as other state parks, but small wonder. Best experience is to visit the farm and to experience the village life full of farm animals.

A quiet and open state park with campgrounds, activity centers, an aquatic park, a long loop for bikers/runners/hikers/walkers and a great mini-escape for those in town or passing through. The sunset in the spring is perfect weather for a brisk walk or warmly dressed sit-on-a-bench.

We rode about 30 miles on our bikes over 5 days, and the bike trail is awesome. The farm is really neat, especially for kids. The aquatic center was great. The hiking trails are well kept and clearly marked. All the staff was very friendly.

Nice place for a picnic with the family with accommodations for bicycles. Easy paths to walk and take your family dog(s). Beautiful scenery where the Indians lived and a family farm right out of a history book from the 1920's. Very interesting. Very fun to go through and reminisce.

What a breathtaking experience at one of my favorite places in the whole world. Prophetstown State Park has been well worn by the tread of my boots and well documented through the lens
of my camera. I have a special place in my heart for the memories I've had here during my time at Purdue, and owe my love for nature to the
accessibility of the park systems in the state of Indiana. Prophetstown was the first place I'd ever been where the wild felt like home. I've started countless friendships and strengthened bonds under the sun and stars on these plains. I hope everyone has a found there own place like this, and I hope you take yourself back there often. I cannot recommend this park enough.

Had a wonderful day fishing! We all caught fish and I do recommend sun block and bug spray!! The only downfall of the day was no open bathrooms.

This is our second year camping here. Camp sites with full hook ups and lots of shade (be sure to read site descriptions) and level. We biked 9 miles this morning on blacktop trails in the park. Great playground for the kids.

We loved camping here. Beautiful park. Even in the chilly months we loved it. Clean bathrooms and the trails for walking and riding bikes are wonderful. We can't wait to plan another trip

Small but informative museum with a very friendly, knowledgeable manager! The grounds and monument area are beautiful and well maintained. We had a nice visit and look forward to visiting again next time we are in Indiana!

A quiet park set on a backroad of Indiana. The museum was closed on the day I visited.
A visit helps tie history together.

The man that gives the tours is AMAZING! So informative and kept it interesting for the kids at the same time. Stop in at the museum and the nature center, they are both intriguing! Such an important piece of history right at our back door, loved it!

Research facility sheltering gray wolves, coyotes, foxes & bison, with guided walking tours.
Went here for my boyfriend’s birthday, we had a private tour where we saw the wolves and bison; but sadly because it was raining the day we visited the foxes weren’t in the mood to be outside. The staff were kind and knowledgeable about the wolves and sufficiently answered any questions we had. The gift shop was cute and moderately priced as well. Highly recommend for anyone that loves wolves and wants to get a close up experience!

We took our 11 year old and her cousin on a private tour as a Christmas gift. What a great experience! Even in the winter we were able to see all of the Wolves, the Bison and most of the other animals. We watched The Wolves during their training sessions which was really cool to see! We plan to go back the summer. The park is very well maintained and you can tell that the animals are loved and well taken care of. Our tour guide was very informative and was able to answer all of our questions. Highly recommend checking this place out

Good experience. Evening howl session with 11 and 8 year old kids. We saw 3 wolves, 2 foxes, and some Buffalo in the distance.
Howling with the wolves was fun and we learned things we didn’t know. Overall experience was different than what we expected. Not bad, just different: 30 minutes of open time to see the 2 foxes and a sleeping wolf. Then, 60 minutes outside on cold bleachers listening to our guide talk about wolves. He did a good job. The staff was kind and friendly. No complaints and glad we went, just not an experience with high entertainment value or anything that blew us away.
Gift shop was nice. Good variety. Fair prices.
Parking was easy.
Bathrooms were clean and accessible.
The overall experience is probably better for older kids and adults.

Fun place to go! I was lucky enough to get on tour while in Indiana. This Wolf Park is a neat place to see wolves in their own habitat. We also saw some buffalo too. The park was very clean, not too long of a walking tour and very informational.

My husband & I went to Howl Night on a Saturday evening & we had an amazing time! The whole park is very well kept! All the animals seem to absolutely love their caregivers. We saw a ton of bison, a couple foxes, & of course, several gorgeous wolves! We got to learn about wolves & conservation efforts that are in place for them. We had a wonderful evening! This is absolutely a must see for anyone of all ages! We will definitely be retuning!

This is a great experience for any age! So fun and informative! We did the howl night and had a blast. The wolves love the attention and are treated so well. I would go here again in the future just to see the animals again. Great gift shop, as well.

Was a really cool experience! We did a 1hr private tour and we saw all the wolves plus bison and foxes! Tom was our guide and was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot of new things! 10/10 would recommend, this is a nonprofit and is a good cause so the place isn't huge but if you are interested in funding a good nonprofit this is a great place!

The best part of the park is how invested the tour guides were in explaining amazing facts about the animals and place, their excitement was infectious! We went to the howl night and had a great time howling with the wolves and learning about their lifestyle! It’s a fun gateway to do around the area.

Great place to visit. We took a 50 minute guided walking tour. It was very entertaining and educational. Our guide was Lucas, who did a fantastic job. He is very passionate about conservation and told a very interesting story about his first face to face visit with one of the wolves. Great experience and we're hooked. We plan on returning with our grandchildren.
George Adey — Google review
Very cool experience. We were within a few feet of active wolves in their natural environment. The wolves interacted with us on their own before any event started. The 30-minute talk and handler experience was informative as well. We heard vocalizations all night from many animals in the park.

Amazing and totally worth it!!! A one hour tour about 3/4mile walk and we got to see the wolves, bison, and foxes! My aunt and I took our neices, nephews, and my son (7yo-13yo) and they loved learning about the wolves and seeing them! The facility is clean, the people are super nice and helpful, and the gift shop had perfect options (shirts, stickers, ornaments, plushies, jewelry) for all the kiddos. We will definitely be returning.

I'm so proud our state has a refuge like this. The park is well-managed, very clean, and the volunteers are thoughtful and eager to teach you about the animals there. The evening show is engaging and yes, the wolves will howl back when you call them! It was educational, family-forward, and is a great example of how Indiana is making an impact for conservation.

This was amazing to learn about wolves their hierarchies. the way they live ,about being endangered and now they're starting to grow in packs again . to meet these wolves that they have , just beautiful. they also have some bison which are absolutely beautiful and gigantic and the most beautiful and cute foxes.
John Ginder — Google review
Had a great time visiting the wolves. There are also two grey foxes and two red foxes and some bison. It's a great place to spend the afternoon. We went for the pumpkin party and howl night and had a great time watching the animals enjoy their treats.

A very nice park, close to Purdue and West Lafayette. The park has multiple outside enclosures for wolves and they have evening events called Howell knights as well! The signage in the city is a little confusing on which road to take and Google maps also gets confused. They have a large gravel parking lot lay out front so lots of parking.

I visited Wolf Park with my grandma on a Monday afternoon. We were able to enjoy the fox and turtle enclosures, and Wolf Park lookout accessible with $5 general admission in near privacy. We were thrilled to see the foxes being well taken care of, and had fun finding them in the different hideouts within the enclosures. The best part? The staff, 100%. They went above and beyond to ensure my grandma, who uses a walker, was comfortable, and they shared educational information about all the animals with us. We were able to watch the trainers engaging with the foxes in their enclosures, even if the foxes were a bit lazy with their heavy winter coats on this exceptionally warm day. I will be back for a specialty tour (which I recommend booking in advance) - to see more of the park, specifically the bison!
