Excellent place to visit and take photos you get a spectacular view of Mt.Hood and the valley.
The only issue I'd say is parking sometimes 🅿️ during the day but aside from that it's a must visit! 5star⭐
Mellow Red Rose — Google review
Beautiful view of Mt. Hood I'd breathtaking even on a hazy smoke filled day. These pictures don't show it well, but what looks like clouds is actually smoke from the fires in central Oregon drifting North August 19th, 2022 (left is north in these pictures). The river below is the Sandy, which flows N/NW to the Columbia a few miles further from here.
Parking is tight. RVs and buses are supposed to be able to get in, but they'll be squeezing through. Consider parking on a side street and walking over to the viewpoint if you have a big rig or trailer.
Enjoy the view and Oregon pioneer history!
Christine Dahl — Google review
The view is amazing. The information made it possible for us to see where in relation to Mt. Hood we were on our hike. It made for a nice end to a fun day.
Tim Johnson — Google review
Beautiful viewpoint overlooking Mount Hood and the Sandy River. No Hiking of any kind just park walk 10 feet and take in the amazing view. Its a great stop on your way to all of the waterfalls near Mount Hood. There is a small parking lot which was empty the day we went as it was a bit rainy. Worth a stop.
Paul S — Google review
Beautiful view, has tight parking and few spots. Other then that, I recommend checking the view out if you are passing through Sandy,OR.
Ramblin J — Google review
This is an utterly beautiful scenic overlook. You get to look over to Sandy River and get a terrific view of Mount Hood. Actually, I don't think there's a better view anywhere.
The parking is a bit tight, with spots for about six cars. There is a fountain and a bench to sit at. Definitely a quiet place to come.
Charles Nguyen — Google review
Without a doubt one of the best places in Oregon to get a picture of Oregon. An unobstructed view of Mount Hood, thirty miles distant at this point, a beautiful spread of the Sandy River Valley. Worth the stop!
Samuel Klein — Google review
Amateur photographer? Pro? Jonsrud Viewpoint overlooks some of the most beautiful countryside imaginable and offers one of the most splendid views of Mount Hood that one could possibly hope for! I'm partial to going in the early morning due to its potential to show visitors the greatest sunrise they'll ever experience! Located in Sandy, Oregon, just a half hour east of Portland.
Dana Laib — Google review
Great place to view MT Hood. We were the only ones there on a Tuesday evening. There is parking for several cars and a bus. No bathrooms.
Amy Jo Trager — Google review
This is an amazing view. The photos I've added are in order, starting about 20 minutes before sunrise. Stunning!
Nate Douthit — Google review
The view was beautiful. We did an afternoon visit and a sunrise.
katie lynn — Google review
I grew up driving past this every day. The view is freaking amazing and so worth it! This last time I went back home, I got up and went to the viewpoint to watch the sunrise. I love this place.
ColdplayCarrie A — Google review
Quick little view point not a lot of parking max 4-5 cars. I wouldn’t go out of way to come here but definitely worth the stop driving by.
C B — Google review
Really just a beautiful spot to stop and take it all in. They have tower viewers so you can see every detail on mount hood as well. Small but convenient parking lot.
Vivian L. Sims — Google review
This was kind of a surprise as we were driving the scenic route heading to Mt. Hood. We came across this view point by accident and was surprised by how beautiful the view of both the balky and Mt. Hood was. It’s a small area in a neighborhood but there’s parking for a few cars and it’s worth the stop.
The Lan Su Chinese Garden is a tranquil botanical garden in the Old Town Chinatown of Portland, Oregon. The garden features rare plants native to China, decorative stonework and a tea shop.
We went there yesterday and we love it. Great place for tea time and relax. We ordered 2 cups of tea and enjoy our time there. When we headed out, the security guy asked us if we would need a bottle of water as it was hot yesterday (so nice of him). Recommend to spend about 1 hour - 1 hour 15 mins for a self guided tour including photography and tea time. Pay with app would work best if you need to extend the parking time. We ordered 3 cups of tea, around $6.5 each. We love the view :)

I got here for the Chinese new year and it was decorated decently. I love what they have done with just a small space, worth a ticket to go and see. I enjoyed the waterfall the most, I love them. So peaceful and calming. The tea and gift shops were neat and the the teas were tasty!
White & Gray Matters — Google review
My friend and I had a great time coming here. Very peaceful and casual. You are totally free to wander about at your leisure and take as much time as you want. It was not crowded either. Plenty of cool architecture and things to look at. Amazing bonsai trees, statues, and mostly shaded by beautiful trees. What really made this experience special was the tearoom. The tearoom is absolutely amazing, on the second floor. An amazing selection of high quality teas to choose from. You can try several, and they serve it to you with a kettle of hot water so you can re-steep your tea as many times as you like. While you enjoy nice views of the entire garden out the windows. Very relaxing, and great experience. Highly recommend!
Phil Foster — Google review
I like what they’ve done with such a tight space!
Very peaceful and quiet inside. I loved the pond and little bridges & pavilions built over it.
The tea shop was good! I tried the mint & Tulsi herbal tea and quite liked it. The red bean mooncake was good too. Nothing to rave about, but good!
The gift shop has some interesting little souvenirs. Overall, I wished it was a bigger space - especially for that admission fee of 13 bucks.

This was a true zen experience. It doesn't draw the crowds that the Japanese garden does, which means the lines don't exists either. Purchased tickets ahead of the visit online, parked in a nearby lot and walked to the gardens. It was delightful and surprising that once inside the gardens a lot of the city noise dissipated. It was beautiful and the tea house was such a pleasant stop.
Bri — Google review
First-time visitors are in for a somewhat quick and short walk through. It's not too big good for a short visit. Easy access to walking. Limited with space for walkers or wheelchair. Just because the pathways are somewhat narrow. Would be definitely good to go first thing in the morning before it gets crowded. One-time visit.
Robert Herrera — Google review
Wonderful oasis in Old Town! It's nice to see thriving businesses and locations in the neighborhood. There's a great amount to learn visiting the garden and ultimately it's just a nice place to clear your mind. Definitely a Portland gem.
Kareem Alston-Rosales — Google review
I loved my visit here. I had concerns about going due to the location but I'm glad I went. It's a tiny paradise. They offer a tour and you can wander around at leisure. The teahouse was lovely and smelled amazing like tea and incense. I will probably buy a cup next time. The staff made us some complimentary Tangyuan...tiny dessert of glutinous rice balls filled with sesame paste in a hot sweet sauce that tasted like sweet tea. We did a fun scavenger hunt also as we walked around. I'm grateful for the Chinese community for keeping this garden and old buildings maintained to perfection for the public to enjoy.
Laura Core — Google review
This place is small and amazing. I like the atmosphere and decorations. It looks very expensive to maintain. It cost 15 dollars to get inside. It is a nice place to walk around and take photos. Sit down and enjoy some tea. I like it here more than the Japanese garden. Wished it was bigger
Johnnie Lau — Google review
They had a cool dragon dance to celebrate lunar near years! We took refuge in the tea house for warmth. Would definitely come back spring/summer - I imagine it’s even prettier then.
Trung Phan — Google review
A cute tiny garden within downtown with attention to detail about architecture & art. Has a restaurant that serves bit pricey teas and snacks. Parking is curbside.
Ram Dongre — Google review
Not a bad place to go and chill out. They had some fun activities for kids but, as someone who doesn't like being around kids, they were actually easy enough to dodge so kind of best of both there. Tea house had some good views.
Christian Pate (trekkie1701c) — Google review
Love visiting the Lan Su Chinese Garden especially around Chinese New Year. This is the Year of the Dragon (obviously). The tea house has undergone some renovations and we would have stayed if we had more time. They have a very old Poncirus citrus trifoliata, Flying Dragon Tree, in one of the courtyards while we have one that is just a few years old by our front door. Very cool tree! It's in one of the pictures. From their website: "Lan Su Chinese Garden offers infinite paths to discovery, whether you are a visitor simply taking in the beauty of the garden for the first time or a member who comes back day after day to sip tea in the teahouse. One visit just isn't enough to take in the depth and abundance of experiences. Lan Su is ever-changing —by the minute, by the hour, and with the seasons. Something as simple as the shifting of light throughout the day can dramatically alter the garden's appearance and your experience. You'll always discover something new at Lan Su."
Kelly Thomas — Google review
Beautiful garden! Loved the feel. It's in the middle of the city so a big juxtaposition between serene garden and run down buildings. I loved it, it was pretty but $14 for something that took us 30 min max to do was steep.
Lisa Zauner — Google review
An absolute oasis of tranquility in the heart of Portland. Easy access from the Max line also makes it convenient to get there from many locations. Fully walled off with tranquil water features, this is a reproduction of a Japanese scholars home from centuries ago. Plenty to see and do, guided and non-guided tours available, and a tea house on site. One note is that as of October 2023 the tea house is closed and being renovated, bit they are opearting a pop-up tea shop where you can buy tea and accessories and a cup of hot tea during your visit. I'm glad we took the time to visit while in Portland for a convention, totally worth it.

Wonderful gem in Portland. Authentic style Chinese Garden with lovely architecture and details. Tea house was closed sadly but I understand it will be coming back thankfully. Fun tip is to take off your shoes and walk barefoot on the amazing polished stone walkways for a nice foot massage. 100% recommend this place. The plantings, detailed architecture and authenticity are worth seeing. Also it's critical to support local gems like this.
Andrew Engel — Google review
A really beautiful garden and awesome tasting tea. It's only $3 entry for EBT/Snap card holders. The only downside is the area of town is covered in homeless. I didn't feel safe walking with my daughter here or parking our car nearby. Have someone drop you off and pick you up later if possible.
Rachel Flaat — Google review
We spent a lovely drizzly time here yesterday, enjoying a docent led tour and spring blossoms. Will surely return to savor more of this beautiful space!
The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is an expansive museum with plenty to keep the whole family entertained. From rotating science exhibits to planetarium shows, OMSI has something for everyone. The weekends can be especially busy, but it's all worth it for the amazing exhibits.
First time to visit this museum.
My daughter liked it very much. It has many kids friendly spots for them.
Many things to learn in different topics.
They offer a real submarine tour and a planetarium theater for extra fees.
Avoid weekends for crowds.
Nada ElSabry — Google review
A place to checkout while in Portland! This place is very interactive and interesting. A family-friendly place with a lot of activities and attractions for all ages. A personal favourite while visiting OMSI was the Nelson Mandela exhibit. It was well-presented and outlines his early life until post-presidency. It was a great visit!
Patrick D — Google review
Very nice museum with various activities and exhibits for families! The museum is smaller than I thought and you can go around and see everything for a day. They have a Marvel exhibit! They also have a movie theater but the movies being shown are selective and not necessarily the movies that come out from a regular theater. There are tons of activities for kids and some of them are also appropriate for adults. They also have a submarine outside the museum and the tickets for a tour are sold separately. The staff are very helpful and friendly! Overall a very good museum and weekend getaway for families!
Lennon Garcia — Google review
We got there around 2pm Saturday, it was very very crowded, with a movie event going on. Paid for parking. Lots to show the kids but couldn't really do much due to others using and looking at each thing there was at each station. Tickets sold out fast for the submarine. The kids were amazed by the animal and critter exhibits, a good amount of species to see. Grabbed a coffee from the cafe wasn't too bad, the photo booth did not work. Overall we felt rushed with not many choices to do while we waited for our turn to experience anything. As it got closer to closing time we did manage to experience more. We will be going again just maybe earlier in the day and maybe a week day.
Victoria Hawkins — Google review
Our trip to OMSI was pretty awesome! We were sad to see that the exhibit hall wasn't open. I guess that's my bad for not looking it up. I was happy to see that all of the children interactive exhibits were open. My 6-year-old ADHD son had a blast! We spent 2 hours there and all of us felt we saw all we needed to see and had a great experience. Definitely fun for the whole family!
Jamie L — Google review
Nice museum, the staff are really customer care oriented, the exhibits were spacious and not overcrowded. Lots of learning on all levels, one area is specifically geared towards children and I can see that the people in that area enjoying themselves. The planetarium was nice and comfortable, watch the Black Holes documentary.
The submarine was great and informative, every question I had was answered with their Naval military experienced guides.
I would definitely come back for another visit.
Dwayne Benallie — Google review
Super fun place for kids! Very informational and easy to understand exhibits for children. I went here as a solo adult and honestly there wasn't a lot geared for adults unless the special exhibit is something you're interested in. There is also a planetarium that shows a few different programs. Not sure I would come back here again to be honest. It was smaller than I expected and many of the exhibits that weren't 100% kid-focused were not very detailed or extensive.
Leah Pinkowsky — Google review
OMSI has so much to offer for kids of all ages primarily under 12! The benefits definitely outweigh the disadvantages listed below.
If you go to the water play area, strollers are not allowed. Bring a towel and extra pair of clothes. Even with the waterproof aprons they provide, kids still get soaked.
The Cafe is nice and has lots of seating.
The signage is great throughout the museum.
The Planetarium is cool and they have lots of different events including a cool laser light show!
The IMAX theatre is nice for movie watching!
Lots of cool science things available - membership has perks! Plan a minimum of 4hrs if not the entire day to spend here!
Disadvantages:
- Parking Kitty app not reliable and parking lots do not feel incredibly safe or secure
- the general location around OMSI after dark is surrounded by graffiti on buildings and people living in tents
Crystal Atkinson — Google review
Absolutely enjoyed ourselves once again, this time got to take the niece and nephew. The 15 years of laika was absolutely amazing, I would love to go back to check this exhibit out again. The amount of interaction for the kids in the engineering station area is amazing. They had a blast. Spent about 5 hours here, and not a dull moment ever. The amount of knowledge they and we took with us is unforgettable. Best Saturday afternoon ever. Highly recommend, I plan on getting a membership, totally worth it. The gift shop is quite amazing as well. Found quite a few goodies in there as well.
Jessica Hughes — Google review
Definitely one of my favorite spots in the downtown Portland area. It's a fun and interactive museum with some good stable exhibits as well as rotating featured exhibits. Their Marvel exhibit was super exciting with a lot of cool things to see, such as props from the movies themselves. It's a great place for both locals and tourists, as well as for people of all ages to visit, though the kids can get rather annoying and in your personal space. It's an awesome place to explore with your partner for a date night. Entrance tickets are reasonably priced, though the merchandise and gift shop stuff is expectedly pricey.
Angelyka C — Google review
This is always a great place to visit with kids especially during the rainy season.
Always something new to see and interact with.
The staff have always been nice and informative.
Much has changed since the last time I was here and some stuff is the same, however it was all new to my youngest.
The submarine tour is always fun.
Jeremy Colbert — Google review
It was very fun to go in but just I wish there was a little more to do with just the basic ticket, I feel like if I was able to go to the submarine or go outside (it was a rainy day) it would’ve been better. Overall fun and even better if you have kids
Mikey — Google review
Pretty fun exhibits. Loved the puzzles part, and sadly one of two of them had missing pieces. Googled for an answer to the rope with rings, but all good.
And the submarine tour was nice! Simple walk through but with explanations from the staff with less history.
The Orca exhibition was pretty well crafted too, and the foetal exhibits were amazing.
Jason Foo — Google review
This was our first time at OMSI, but it won't be our last. The exhibits were varied and incredibly well done. Guaranteed to provide a great experience for everyone. The facility is very clean. All staff members are very helpful and willing to answer any questions. I understand the exhibits change so I look forward to seeing what is in store for us on our next Portland trip. Highly recommend!
Janice Walters — Google review
Nice quick museum, but the main exhibit hall was closed so admission really only got access to a biology exhibit - which was neat - an industry wing almost entirely devoted to kids activities, and a fairly barebones space exhibit (planetarium shows cost extra). The submarine tour felt a tad rushed and tickets sell out quickly.
Christian Pate (trekkie1701c) — Google review
A nice rainy day activity. The submarine was the highlight for me. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor.
The museum is hours of fun for children but as an adult you can breeze through in about an hour.
The museum location is beautiful along the river with the city's backdrop.
Dawn D. — Google review
I visited this museum last year to see the Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes exhibit. I am a huge comic book geek, particularly Marvel comics, so this was so much fun to walk around and look at this exhibit. The displays were great and there was a lot of information to read on about the comic book art. I would love to visit this museum again one day to see other exhibits. I highly recommend visiting here whether you are a local or a tourist.
Carina Jahn — Google review
My kids always have a great time here! Great exhibits ans activities. We can spend an hour and half just on the hands on activities alone.
Lisa Zauner — Google review
It is one the best museums in Oregon. It was fun to discover all the exhibitions and kids' playgrounds. There are some kid's puzzles that I could not solve as an adulte but I enjoyed them overall. I would love to be back soon
Danny Tram — Google review
Great museum with interesting cultural pieces, too!! Unique birth exhibit on the top floor! Lots of live animals for a limited time!!
Jenn Islam — Google review
Thoroughly enjoyed the Studio Ghibli film festival at OMSI. It was pretty cool seeing a large turnout to enjoy the film together and I hope OMSI continues doing things like this!
After the movie, I got to enjoy the other parts of the museum and saw a real live sloth in the exhibit.
The walking trail next to the waterfront is also wonderful and wish I could have spent more time there. It has a great view of the river and bridges.
Deedee Chiang — Google review
Two thumbs up!👍👍You are going to absolutely love OMSI. Our favorite visits so far have been Marvel Superhero’s, Dinosaurs Revealed and the submarine tour❤️. Definitely worth getting a membership to save money. Or if you’re just in town for a short trip it’s worth taking your kiddos for a visit. Check the website for the latest exhibits and be prepared to go and have a great time. Helpful tips: Extra fee for parking, tickets can be purchased in advance online and membership available. Located in the heart of Portland, Oregon's South Park Blocks, the Portland Art Museum is a world-renowned institution with an expansive and varied collection ranging from ancient artifacts to contemporary masterpieces. The museum is perfect for art lovers of all levels, and its tranquil setting provides a perfect backdrop for exploring its collections.
We went shortly after it opened and it wasn't too busy for a weekday. Lots of different styles and tastes to view. So much history and beauty to behold. Definitely a place to check out as their exhibits change every so often.

Portland Art Museum is a nice museum houses good collection of works related to American Art, European Art, Chinese Art, and sculptures from Asia, China. The Art works displayed are very beautiful. The paintings of last decades/centuries are superb. Native American Art is also very beautiful. Museum Store has collection of Arts and Crafts. One can buy collectors items as a memory of the visit to museum. Overall a very good experience.
Nandakishore KV — Google review
We were pretty disappointed in the museum. It's under construction, so much of their exhibits were in storage and not displayed. There were only 2 exhibits available, both of which were relatively quick to walk through.
They still charged the full $25 entrance fee in spite of having a much smaller exhibit on display. I think they should have adjusted the prices to reflect that.
Also, there seemed to be no staff around the museum floor except one guy who mostly avoided the crowd. The bathrooms are hidden in the back downstairs area, and finding them took almost 10 minutes of checking everywhere. Very minimal signage to guide you there.
There were several large groups of high school or college age kids walking the museum shouting and laughing and touching statues that were clearly not meant to be touched. Overall, they made it a lot more difficult to stop and appreciate the art with any degree of focus. To he honest, they sort of ruined the experience and I'm not sure I would go back any time soon.
The guides did nothing to quiet the groups and instead seemed to avoid them like we did. My partner and I found ourselves hurrying ahead of them just to see a few things in peace. Not worth the $50 to get in.
I've never been to a museum where it was okay to shout and yell and disturb everyone else without consequence or even a warning.
The silver lining is some of the art was very good, including a single Monet on display and some contemporary art.
Alexandria — Google review
I liked my time at the P.A.M. They are hosting the Diego Rivera and Frita exhibit which made the entrance fee worth it alone. Had wonderful paintings and intimate photos of their lives. The museum is larger than it appears from outside and I comfortably got through it in about an hour and forty five minutes. Seating and restrooms with a nice gift shop on the end. School groups can make the rooms loud along with the creaky wooden floors but overall a pleasant experience. I would give it a recommend while in Portland as long as it has a major exhibit going on.
The K Green Show — Google review
My second time at this lovely little museum. While their exhibitions are always top-notch, be aware that only half of the museum is on display while they finish their renovations. I would've still paid the admission to get in, but I think it would've been appropriate to let guests know that ahead of paying for a fairly expensive admission. Still, a lovely time and a beautiful curation.
Grant Nielsen — Google review
Fantastic walk through experience. Making Pinocchio was fascinating, still life galleries kept me enthralled for hours, and a good variety of pieces in these collections.
PAM does feel pretty small for a city the size of Portland. Though I visited the museum during exhibit changing and moving so at least 2 spaces were closed.
Nicole Weiler — Google review
Toured the Guillermo del Toro exhibit today. ❤️ loved it! Lots of sets, behind the scenes information, tearing the animation into parts, and describing how it's made. We really enjoyed our visit.
Kim Owen — Google review
The most interesting part of the museum is a temporary exhibition “Africa fashion”. Everything else is not very interesting, unfortunately 😔 But in general I am satisfied with the visit
Oleksandra Synytsia — Google review
Under construction in 2024 but not closed. They got creative with their displays so that old and new works are integrated and the rotating exhibits on the first floor challenge the imagination.
Fileve Tlaloc — Google review
Pretty cool place to check out in Portland. The abstract section was a lot more interesting in my opinion, but there were a lot of eye catching painting I came across looking through the whole museum! Definitely worth taking a look at if you enjoy art appreciation
Zack Tyler — Google review
Great place to muse over the arts. Give yourself a few hours to soak it in. I barely touched the surface in 45 minutes. I’ll have to go back to get the full experience. The place is staffed by some friendly folks. The Botticelli piece on exhibit is the phenomenal. Such vivid colors for being nearly 600 years old. Lovely day in downtown Portland.
Judson Cato — Google review
I was disappointed that even with only 2 exhibits open due to construction, they still charged us the full amount. It felt like a waste of time visiting, and that they should’ve told us the limited amount of art and artifacts available to see.
Jocy Fajardo — Google review
The African Fashion exhibition stole the show. I literally cried while walking through all the magnificent designs. If you have no other reason to visit Portland, this exhibition is it!

What an educational day! The exhibitions: African Fashion & Black Artist of Oregon took us through the historical context of beautiful cultures and gave us the opportunity to make connections with the uses of visual and literary tools.

I'm normally not one for art, but I really learned about Pan-Africanism, and the fashions across African nations and the diaspora overeas! Really awesome displays! Tip of the hat🎩 to the curators for putting on an exhibit! Well done! I can't wait to come back and check out other exhibits!
Too bad my girlfriend wasn't here with me for this 😢, but I'd like to take her here with me some day. Also bought a banglet for her at their gift store. Definitely worth checking out!

I have had the opportunity to visit this museum multiple times, and I must say it is great. However, it is worth noting that certain sections of the museum are currently undergoing renovations.
With that being said, if you're an animation enthusiast, make sure not to miss the Crafting Pinocchio exhibition. It provided me with a deeper understanding of the intricate process and the tremendous effort invested by the team in bringing this movie to life. It is one of my most favorite exhibitions! There are also some related events, check them out.
Tana P (Bank) — Google review
A cute local museum to walk around and view exhibits. My friend & I thought it would be larger (our first time visiting) we were in and out in maybe a bit over an hour.
Emily Creasy — Google review
It's a wonderful museum with a great exhibit going on right now on Black art. A definite worthwhile visit while you're in Portland.
Dawna Raven Sky — Google review
I’m sorry to say that this is the worst experience I’ve ever had in a museum.
No artifacts.. Nothing from heritage.. it’s nothing like the Smithsonian museum in DC.
I couldn’t stand 20 minutes of senseless art that has nothing to do with Africa.
Sorry if my words are harsh.
Adees Gulbenkian — Google review
Several significant sections of the museum were closed off either due to construction or exhibit changes, but still probably worth the price of entry. It's a small but extremely well-varied collection including everything from ancient Native American art to famous impressionists to modern art including pieces produced by active, contemporary artists with the last few years. We spent about two hours to appreciate everything on display, but some art lovers may need to budget a bit more depending on their viewing pace.

This was a great experience during our first trip to Portland. Most of the gallery was under construction but the shoe exhibition was top notch. Glad I got to see it.
Great little market with a nice variety of vendors. Beautiful flower, produce, and handmade items. Nice location at CCC for the winter market.

Fabulous fresh and locally grown Fruits and Vegetables with a nice mix of music, several opportunities for kids to participate and made to order Food Carts. This market focuses more fresh produce than Jewelry or other non-edibles.
They have a weekly Summer market on Saturdays and a Winter market every other Saturday.

Love this market! Have my handful of favorites I always go to, like Sun Love farms, and enjoy the rotating booths as well. So many amazing humans and delicious produce!

A little bit of everything is here! Oregon Artisans are well-represented here as an abundance and variety of goods are in this small-ish market. Fresh berries and breads and flowers being the main offering there’s also meats and cheese and fish farmers, artists and craftsmen to round out about 40+ vendors. Musicians performing too.
It’s low key and a great location, plenty of parking.

It’s such a great farmers market! The flowers are the best and the live music is fabulous. We buy produce and pastries on Saturday to get the weekend started. You can get your knives sharpened while you wander. It needs to be on your list of hints to do on Saturday’s between 9-2 May-October!! It’s located up by the Public Service Building for Clackamas County.

Fantastic local Saturday market. Baked goods, coffee, live music, flowers, berries, fish, meat, crafts, and wonderful veggies. I highly recommend Coyote Ridge Farm (beautiful certified naturally grown veggies), Campfire Farms (excellent meats), and Grano (bread loafs). Plenty of parking. Great variety of displays hosted by helpful and informative vendors. They were extremely patient with all of my questions. Very family friendly and I found everything was very reasonably priced. What more could you ask for? Oregon City Farmers Market rocks!

The International Rose Test Garden is a public garden in Southwest Portland, Oregon, United States. It is 4.5 acres (1.8ha) and has award-winning rose varieties, as well as Shakespeare Garden adjacent with flora mentioned in the Bards most famous works and roses named after characters from his plays. The garden is open daily from dawn to dusk during the summer months.
We when here a few years ago and I absolutely loved it! It's such a beautiful place to walk around and take pictures with the many different types of roses! The fact that it's free is a bonus in my book.

An awesome place to visit! You get to see so many varieties of roses and colors ! It’s very gorgeous and feels so good. Best of all there is no entry free to visit this place. You just need to get parking or can opt for pay by your parking. Do visit this place in jun end types for full bloom. You can easily spend two hours.. there is also a open area where you could plan a picnic with kids n enjoy leisurely the beautiful garden! You can’t get enough pics of the roses !

The garden was an absolute delight. Even though the majority of the roses weren't in bloom yet the grounds are beautiful. You also get a lovely view of the city and mountains. The park is very hilly but has good ramp access. Although the park was very serene, unfortunately, my car was broken into. There didn't seem to be any security or cameras in the parking lot so do not bring any valuables to the park.

Definitely not in season for roses but still beautiful! Loved the blossom trees. $2 per hour parking spots you can pay at meter with card or cash.

All the roses are in full bloom now! Now is the best time to see this garden! This Free entrance rose garden is one of the best rose garden I ever seen. So many pretty roses! It surely is garden lover’s dream come true. Try to avoid the huge crowds go on weekdays or late afternoon on the weekends. Parking is a little hard to fine, but I can guarantee you that this place is worth your patience to drive around for a parking spot.

The rose garden is so beautiful and if you come on the perfect day then it just makes it more amazing. My wife and I came here today and the weather was great. The sun wasn't out yet, it was in the mid 60s and the air was fresh. We uber here so we didn't have to look for parking. The roses here are all amazing and you'll have a beautiful background no matter where you take your pictures. They also have a little Gazebo if you want to sit under there and take photos. The gift store here also have some nice products. My wife got 2 of their purses because she like the roses design. There a bathroom near the gift shop and they also give free tour at 1pm. You cannot go wrong by visiting this place because it's also near the Japanese Garden and amphitheater.

Such a beautiful place with so much to see. Find any colored rose here even tie-dye roses. Easy to access and get around with many places to sit and relax or to take a small break. Very very recommended. Close to the zoo, the children's museum, Japanese garden and a few other places you can spend an entire weekend in and near the area parks.

This is our second visit and we live 2000 miles away! The roses are so beautiful and the variety is fantastic! Acres of the most amazing flowers you’ll ever see! The most peaceful experience you’ll ever have with the exception of the Japanese Gardens across the street.

If you appreciate roses and beautiful gardens with pleasant pathways, and stonework in general, you’ll love the International Rose Test Garden at Washington Park.
This lush, tranquil and large garden setting is a perfect place to get your mind off the mundane day to day whilst taking a stroll or reading a book. I would recommend the summer months til October for the optimal experience as the roses are obviously not blooming in winter through early Spring (not sure why some reviewers were so surprised at this). Parking right now in October is best especially if you’re going on a week day, if you want to have a good experience here and avoid crowds definitely go on like a Monday.
Finally I’d recommend taking your time to fully enjoy the blooms, beautiful greenery and lovely setting, it’s a garden so strolling is best not a place to grab a few choice shots and then be off…

My family had a nice time visiting the rose garden and we will have to revisit again to be able to explore it in it’s entirety. You could easily spend a couple of hours here. They have different sections the roses are organized in. There is the Shakespeare Garden and an amphitheater. It was free to look around, we only had to pay for parking which was around a few dollars. Everything was very well kept, nice and neat.

06/11/23: what a gorgeous And fabulous rose garden!! It has different varieties of roses and they smell SO GOOD! aha, I would say it is an enormous garden connecting to different spaces (picnic areas, Japanese garden, Washington Park) and there is a fine for removing roses!!
There is no ticket and tons of paid parking lots in front of the garden. It does worth a visit and I would love to make several more visits to this beautiful garden

We loved the International Rose Test Garden! It is so beautiful and they smell amazing!! Parking was only $3.50 for two hours, and it was right by the gardens. They have tennis courts, a botanical garden, and an ametheater. People were having picnics, doing yoga, and playing soccer throughout the gardens. It is a relaxing and awesome place to go see.

This is one of the best rose gardens I’ve ever been to. There are so many varieties of roses to choose from, and I love how many colors there are. If you visit Washington Park, make sure to stop by. The garden appeared to be in full bloom in mid to the end of June. There is no fee to walk through the garden, so take your time.

Lovely lovely lively! Many variety of roses to see and smell. The roses are in full bloom during this time of the year. They were beautiful and scentuous. We went on a weekend so I think there were more people visiting than on a weekday, but can't say for sure as I never been here during the weekday. Parking can be hard to find so you may need to park farther away, but the walk is not bad. There's a free tour, but they're only for a specific time of day. You can also do a self-guided tour. There are restrooms and even a souvenir shop.

The time and care and love put into raising these gorgeous roses is made evident by the luscious lawns and vibrant petals that cover these grounds. It’s well worth a visit, even though parking can be tight on days with good weather.
Excellent place for a date, boys and girls 😘

Beautiful place and garden. Roses were still blooming as of Oct 22. The parking is $2 per hour. I found it easily. It's an amazing place with great views of the buildings as well. The Japanese garden is also closest. A lot of trails around and you can see a bunch of people running, walking and strolling their dogs. Definitely check it out if you can.

Came here to spend a Saturday afternoon while visiting Portland. Very impressive varieties in all shapes, sizes, and colors. You can easily spend 1-2 hours just walking around the many varieties. They allow you to walk along the rows, trusting you won't touch the roses or bees pollinating the flowers. Basically, leave no trace behind.
There's different sections from the test garden, gold medal garden, Shakespeare Garden, climbing roses, miniature roses, landscape roses, shrub roses, grandiflora roses, floribunda roses, etc... Even if not a rose or flower expert, you can easily appreciate and learn about the many different varieties of roses. Definitely worth the free cost to walk around the roses.

So wonderful! I love the rose snow ones in the summer, but year round the whole place is gorgeous. I wish there were more sheltered spaces so people could come and enjoy the view in the winter months, but it's a cute spot! Bathrooms are not the cleanest, but what can you really expect from a public park?

Very nice and peaceful place to go for a walk. When the roses are blooming they look great right now I'll have to wait until spring. I highly recommend this location.
The Portland Japanese Garden is a tranquil, peaceful space with features like a waterfall and teahouse that offer stunning views of the cityscape. The garden is composed of five different styles of gardens spread over 5.5 acres and offers visitors a chance to learn more about Japanese culture through displays and activities.
You should definitely check out this Japanese Garden if you're in the area because it is totally worth it. You have to pay an admission fee to enter but it's not a lot and you're supporting the garden. You have to take a small hike to go to the main entrance but it is well worth it. They have a little cafe here but there isn't a lot of options so just be aware. The view that you get of the waterfall, design and being with nature is wonderful. You can spend a good 30 minutes just walking around and enjoying your view. There are also workers around the garden as well if you need help or someone to take your picture. We really like the main little waterfall that they have here. Parking is not free I think so just be aware that you might have to pay for that as well. They have a little gift shop where my wife got an earring from. Just follow the pathway and you won't get lost.

The garden was beautiful! It was a little smaller than I expected, but it had nicely paved paths, nice spring blooms and a peaceful vibe. The queue for the Japanese cafe inside is super long, so make sure to reserve your spot first thing when you get in. Would be even more beautiful if the cherry blossoms weren't at the end of their bloom.

Definitely worth a visit! It was super peaceful and so beautiful. They have tours there but it seemed like most just walked through on their own. It’s not huge so you can get through it somewhat quick so take your time. The paths are uneven but there was a sign saying they did that on purpose so you would be forced to take your time. It’s all very intentional which is super cool. All the sounds of nature are really pretty and it’s well groomed. Bought our tickets ahead of time so we got in pretty quick at our allotted time. There is parking up top and I think it’s a couple bucks an hour but we just walked our way in. I’m sure the parking fills up quick though. There’s a nice little cafe and gift shop and information center at the top before you walk into the garden as well. The gift shop was cool and it seemed like the cafe had some authentic options.

Really lovely, the map you get given does look like it's a big place but when you walk around, it's actually not as big as you think. So take your time, enjoy it. It really is an amazing piece of artwork.

Absolutely stunning and peaceful. The beautiful nature combined with the maintenance of the garden is just incredible. So many beautiful statues, structures, settings, and more. We went on a lightly rainy day and walked around for approximately 3 hours. It was definitely a hike, so be prepared shoe wise. Be respectful.

At first I thought the price for entry was a bit on the pricey side, but I think it was well worth it. The garden was very peaceful and relaxing. Went in the morning when it was still cool and crisp out. The sounds of the flowing streams and the few small waterfalls while staring at the zen garden make all the difference. 10/10

The Portland Japanese Gardens extraordinarily beautiful. I happened to go when it was a perfect day and I enjoyed every aspect of it. I read some complaints about the hike up, but to that help to segment the garden to its own world. The gift shops were really awesome. There were a pretty large variety of items to purchase. On top of that there was a showcase of art right next to it. The garden itself has multiple sections to walk through. Each segment had its own unique identity. Truly my only complaint about the garden is one it’s entrance fee and two it’s size. I felt that for how small it was the fee was not up to par. If it was bigger I’d honestly be completely okay with how much I spent. Though I wouldn’t let that deter any new newcomers because it’s still an amazing experience.

Walk into a place of tranquility and rediscovery. This is oasis hidden among the city. A leisurely walk through the garden will put your state of mind of calmness and escaping the day to day. The views are beautiful. The bonsai trees are a very welcoming addition. Go from place to place and see what a bit of meditation can bring around. Take in the air in its purest form. This is definitely a place that I'll come back to visit again. Gift shop, restrooms, and a fairly decent sized restaurant. There are plenty of customer service attendants walking around if you do have questions regarding the area. Go by and see. Look into your own personal life and see what happens.

Beautiful, of course. Can't take in outside food or drinks. There is ramps in places, but a lot of stairs and uneven ground. Lots of benches to stop rest or take it all in. Think fall would be the best time to come and enjoy the mapels showing off and a nice chill in the air

Very beautiful Japanese garden. A wonderful and educational place for family pastime and enjoy Japanese culture. We walked for 2 hours and enjoyed it very much. We managed to see the feeding of koi carp, it was very interesting for the children. Beautiful and very picturesque place, solitude and peace. Wonderful gift shop. There is a restaurant nearby in case you get hungry after a 2 hour walk through this incredible place. The price justifies expectations. Thank you very much, we will definitely be back.

Our early October visit to the Portland Japanese Gardens provided us a monochromatic view of the beauty of the gardens. Having read some of the Google Maps Reviews, we saw how other visitors have contributed photos of beautiful gardens full of color. We missed that season by months, but that didn’t take away from our visit. We were fascinated by the textures, the variety of steps, the water. Even though the clouds were low and it began to lightly rain, it didn’t distract from our visit.
We did take advantage of the free shuttle to the top of the hill and enjoyed our stroll down.
There are no restrooms by the entrance; they are at the top of the hill.
Would love to return and visit during the other seasons.

This is an oasis in Portland. The grounds are meticulously kept, and the buildings are beautiful recreations of historic Japanese structures. There are tours offered, a gift shop, and a modern tea house on site. However, it was an hour and a half wait on the Sunday we visited, so we had to skip it. It is a hike to get from the shuttle drop off area or parking to the top of the hill where this resides but there is also a free shuttle back and forth from the top fi you need it. Limited options for refreshments: On Sunday afternoon we went, I was informed they had sold out of water, but there were a few water fountains available. The bathrooms are nice, and the garden areas are varied. Your experience may be affected by others who don't understand keeping their voices subdued in tranquil and relaxing settings. There are plenty of small seating areas to enjoy some snatched privacy or the views. On a clear day like we had you can also catch an amazing view of Mount Baker in the distance towering over the city.

Very nice design. It has three levels, ground entry level, middle exhibition level, and garden level. You can enjoy the design concept that combines artificial with nature in an elegant way. You need to spend at least 1 hour to appreciate the beauty of the garden.

This place is beautiful! Very relaxing and amazing place to take pictures. My girls really enjoyed the fish and site seeing. They have a Cafe restaurant, a gift shop, a learning center and bathrooms. The walk is not crazy long but it took is about 1 1/2 hours to go through it all. Most of it is up hill , with some leveled areas. If you have never been it's definitely a place to try out.
Parking was tight lots of people on a Sunday. You have to pay for parking and then line up to pay the entrance fee. Children 5 and younger are free.

What a great start to our weekend Portland trip. The grounds are beautiful and so well maintained. It took us about 1.5 hours to wander the grounds. The only feedback I would give is that when I researched the garden before going it did not mention that there is a bit of a hike to even get to the garden. I navigated it fine but I could see this being an obstacle for others.

This is definitely one of my favorite places in Portland and one of my favorite garden spaces in the country. What a gem of a space. Definitely sign up for a tour as it is time well spent getting the background and history of the space and learning about all of the thoughtfulness and intentionality that went into this beautiful space. It was great to catch a tea ceremony demonstration and to have tea in the tea house at the end. This is one place in Portland I will plan to visit on every trip.

It is best to arrive early to avoid the crowds and truly soak in the serenity. This was my first time, and even at 11am on a summer Wednesday, there were lots of people on the paths. There's a lot to enjoy from the bonsai, trees, bushes, bamboo, coi fish, stone pathways, streams, and gift shops. It was inspiring to consider some of these designs for my own garden.

This is a wonderful place to stroll through. The ticket price is justifiable considering this is a private funded garden. We spent 2 hours walking through. Fun art installments and gift shop. Not to mention the cultural performers. This is a fun outing and worth a visit. Thank you Portland Japanese Garden!

Probably THE Most popular tourist place in Portland city. Claimed to be the biggest Japanese garden in north America. True to the fame, the garden is really well designed and staffed. Beautiful view throughout the year. Often you can find surprise local Japanese capture presentations at the site for free. Also right next to the Japanese garden is the beautiful rose garden. so lot of things to do there. At the top of the hill, some time it could get chilly. Bring a thick jacket if needed.

The Portland Japanese Garden is a serene oasis that offers a tranquil and beautiful escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. As you wander through the paths, you’re greeted with meticulously maintained landscapes that showcase the art of Japanese gardening. Each area of the garden has its unique charm, from the peaceful Koi ponds to the stunningly manicured trees and plants.
The attention to detail in every aspect of the garden is remarkable. It’s a place where you can truly appreciate the changing seasons, each bringing its own unique beauty. The garden also offers lovely views of the city, adding to its charm.
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, contributing to an overall welcoming atmosphere. It’s a perfect spot for contemplation, photography, or simply a peaceful walk. A visit to the Portland Japanese Garden is a must for anyone looking to experience a slice of tranquility and beauty.

If you're out in Portland visiting, I highly recommend coming here! It was raining when I went, but I was still able to see everything the garden had to offer. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and there's enough to keep you occupied at least for half of the day. It wasn't too crowded either and very peaceful to walk around the garden. There's a decent sized parking lot, but you do have to pay. Also, you do have to walk uphill and climb a few stairs to get to the actual garden as a fair warning. But I had a great experience and would come back again!

If you’re coming here you probably have an interest in Japanese gardens or wanted a pretty place to be in nature whether by yourself or with friends and family, well I have to say it was indeed beautiful.
I’d say if you were to really speed run the sites you can walk through the whole park in 30 minutes to an hour but considering we should be mindful of the details that go into this beautiful garden I’d say if you’re an adult you can properly take in the sites and surroundings in 1.5-2 hours. So many small details and signs of beauty you would miss if you hurry through.
It was a great way to spend the day, it was gorgeous and I really did feel at peace here while trying to be mindful of the work the staff put into maintaining this beautiful garden. On a clear day there’s a wonderful view of Mt. Hood? And you could spend much longer than 1.5-2 hours there if you chose to do so. You can walk up from the entrance to the main gardens or there is a bus and or parking that can get you up to the main attractions (I think). There’s also an area in the gardens where they hold exhibits, the current miniature exhibit (as of 02/24) was great and interesting and I’d recommend checking it out as well.
There were no real negatives but I’ll list out what I wish I knew, as of now (02/24) the koi aren’t out in their usual numbers as they are doing something to keep them healthy until spring time comes in. And the traditional tea house is not what’s generally open to the public but a place where you can take photos of and walk by. I’m sure you can reserve a tea ceremony somehow, but I was excited to drink tea in a traditional tea house and didn’t realize the tea house/cafe on site was more modern (yet good and welcoming but not what I was hoping to do while here).
Overall it’s gorgeous, a good time and when in Portland I’d recommend checking it out for sure, even in the winter (02/24) it was gorgeous and I can’t wait to experience this place during the different seasons!

We went 3/24 - the cherry blossoms were gorgeous and in full bloom, along with the camellias and magnolias. It was a wonderful stroll but definitely not very accessible, lots of stone pathways and rocky slopes. I would also suggest putting your name in for the cafe when you first get there - you can then enjoy the garden and have tea after as there is usually a long wait it seems.

I've been to the Portland Japanese Garden twice, once with a buddy of mine and then again with my partner. It's such a tranquil environment to spend some time in a controlled and well-organized mixture of culture nature. The garden itself isn't huge and you can explore a lot of it in a couple of hours, but I would recommend taking your time in viewing the scenery and experiencing the places with all senses possible.
If you're able to go on a weekday, it's especially well worth your money, as there are less people and you can enjoy the calmness of the environment. My partner and I went here on Valentine's Day and had an amazing first part of our day. It can get distracting and hectic here on the weekends with more people and a lot of kids involved, which I feel can be detracting from the place, though they do a good job attempting to combat that problem by setting a limit on how many people can enter at a certain time.
The garden is different during all four seasons, and now my partner and I want to experience all of them together. There are a lot of reasons to go back besides that, though. It's a nice way to spend some time and decompress while still being outside and feeling productive. They have a cute little café and gift shop. Employees are kind and knowledgeable, and they look happy to work at this place.

The paths, the well-kept plants, and the calm atmosphere made our time there very enjoyable. The Umami Cafe offered We especially liked the small ponds and the view. It's clear a lot of care goes into keeping the garden beautiful. Adding to the experience, the Umami Cafe offered great-tasting tea and pastries that are definitely worth trying. We had a great time and definitely recommend a visit.

Wrapping 2023 in a peaceful and tranquil place. As soon as you walk in the garden you feel relaxed and your mind quiets down. Everything looks so green and fresh in the rain, I’m sure that spring time is gorgeous with all the flowers, I will have to go back to check it out then. There is a little cute shop when you get to the top of the gardens and also a miniature sculptures exhibit. On a nice clear day you can see mount Hood. There is enough parking space but you have to pay for parking, and of course a restroom on premises.
This 16,000 square foot French Renaissance mansion from 1912 is now a museum and features period furnishings and scenic views. It is interesting to learn about the history of Portland and how it has evolved from a tiny Northwest town to its current city status.
The start of the story of Portland. The home of the family that put Portland on the map. If you want to know the story of our city you must visit the Pittock Mansion at least once. The architecture is beautiful, the gardens are well maintained. The views are a must see wether on a rainy or a clear day. If you only have a few hours in our city go to the Pittock Mansion. There’s some wonderful trails on this side of the park too. Just don’t forget to pay for parking.

I can't believe in over a decade living in Portland I've never visited the Pittock Mansion. What a spectacular glimpse of history. Loaded with beautiful architecture and fun facts about the family and home. We really enjoyed our visit. I'm glad it's ticketed so it didn't feel too crowded despite a beautiful, December weekend day. I can't wait to be back and stroll the property (on a less chilly day!).

Beautiful place to visit. It’s fun to read about the history of the mansion. You do have a pay for parking and then tickets to the mansion were $14.50 a person. They also have a gift shop. The view that overlooks Portland was really nice. The rooms are set up and some of the pieces are originals but some are not.

Really nice mansion with a lot of information on the origins of Portland and history of the city. The furniture is more representative of the period than actually from the mansion itself. Tickets can be purchased at the door, there was no wait on a Saturday. Museum is paid, although you can walk the grounds and go to the viewpoint for free.

I enjoyed the visit to Pittock Mansion. I was able to avail of the Cultural Passes through our local library and get two free adult tickets and one child ticket. I paid for one more adult ticket and it was an easy process on the website. The house is delightful and the views from there look to be beautiful. We visited on a very foggy/overcast day, so sadly did not have the greatest vista views, but I can see they would be great on a sunny day.

This is a charming historical mansion built in 1914. Being from the East Coast, I am used to houses built earlier, so seeing one restored to the early 1900s was especially interesting. It is a self-guided tour. Informational signs made it easy to learn about the house, family, and time period. There are also wonderful gardens and trails that we didn't have time to explore.

Fantastic views over the city and excellent photo ops in the beautiful surrounds. A small expense on parking only, about 2 dollars an hour. Could be a great trek or hike down from here to Washington park but we drove to a from. A great first stop when visiting Portland to get your overall bearings. Possibly worth touring the mansion too but we didn't have time. Give yourself 30mins to an hour to explore the outside surrounds.

My friend took us here right before they were set to close to get a nice view of Portland at sunset. We arrived at the parking area at 8:50pm and the ranger told us that he closes the gate at 9pm. But he still let us go check out the view quickly and also look at the mansion. The mansion looks nice from the outside because we couldn't go inside. But the view from the backyard is priceless and was perfect at sunset. They have a decent amount of parking but I think it can get busy during the afternoon time.

The botanical grounds and views are arguably the best in Portland. Add in a hike on the Forest Park trail the intersects.
Interior on the home is kept in period pieces and decor. Cared for by a non-profit, not the city. Consider donating!
Parking: try parking on the city street outside the gate to avoid crowded parking, then walk up to the Mansion or find the trail offshoot just inside the gate and stay to the left to end up at near the Mansion after a short walk.

06/10/23: this awesome mansion is near the Witch’s Castle and it definitely is worth a visit. It has an outstanding horizon view of the city of Portland.
I did not buy a ticket to get inside the mansion but I heard so many great things inside. Please consider buying a ticket to have a full experience. The mansion is well-maintained, clean, and spacious. I enjoyed the beautiful view and historical meaning of this mansion. Worth a visit!!

Beautiful house on top of the hill, love all the flowers along the way. On a sunny day, blue sky, green grass, colorful flowers - the view is just fabulous. Looking at the mountain and the city, probably one of the best places to visit in the area.
The Christmas decorations are beautiful.

It was nice to see the property and learn a bit about the history. The Christmas decorations were fun for my wife and the views are great. During December they have live music which was nice. We got lucky with parking. Worth a visit or two. We would like to come back in the Spring / Summer to see the foliage and flowers in full bloom.

It's hard to believe I've never been here in all the years I've lived here! So glad I came when it was all decked out for Christmas!
Note: park in the pull outs up the driveway for free and hike up the road a tad to avoid the city's parking meter and minimal parking. You must use their parking kitty app or their meter, which was not working when we were there. Parking tickets are sky high if they issue you one for not paying so word to the wise!
They do have an elevator, clean bathrooms, a gift shop, and a wonderful view of the city!
The 16,000 Sq ft French Renaissance style home is characterized by its impressive architecture and 23 art- and antique-filled rooms, where you can learn about the fascinating success story of early Portland moguls Henry and Georgiana Pittock, instrumental in the city's development.

It is a well kept mansion that represent what wealth could buy a hundred years back. The architecture is beautiful, art and amenities are excellent. Ticket is bit pricey for not letting the viewers to see the upper areas. Paid parking is bit annoying.

Great stop on my trip to Portland, the house is beautiful and there’s a lot of history to read about. The view was super scenic and a short ride up from the inner city! Highly recommend if you enjoy historical sight seeing.

The tour of Pittock Mansion was amazing. Its French Renaissance style really caught my eye. I loved the fancy woodwork and beautiful stained glass windows. The gardens were lovely too, blending perfectly with the mansion. It was a visit I won't forget!

The self guided tour during Christmas is the best as the mansion is decorated for the season. I would plan for good weather to tour the grounds and view point, at the front of the property, as it is best on a clear day. We were lucky enough to see portland and down town. Allow about an hour to tour the mansion.

Pittock Mansion is a museum dedicated to Henry and Georgianna Pittock. The museum is located at the top of a hill that is somewhat steep.
The museum is in pristine condition and is very popular. The mansion is well organized and offers a glimpse into life at the beginning of the 20th century.
Parking is not free and it is best to download the app. The reason is, the kiosks are not always operational and parking enforcement does patrol the area.
A bit of advice, avoid insulting the place out loud. You might regret it.

Perched in the West Hills, Pittock Mansion offers stunning city views and a peek into early 20th-century life. The mansion and its gardens are beautifully kept, making it a great spot for history buffs or anyone enjoying a scenic outing. A must-see in Portland.

One of the best views in Portland Oregon all for free. The views are treasures by many who live here for good reason, as the moment you see Mt. Hood and the rest of the city on a clear day your breath will be taken away and you'll gain an appreciation for the beauty of our city.
One of my favorite spots to climb to by bike (very hard but fun!) and one of my favorite spots to enjoy thirty minutes of our beautiful city and nature.
Washington Park is a large and well-maintained park in Portland, Oregon. The park has a variety of attractions, including a zoo, Japanese garden, rose garden, and Children's Museum. The park also has 15 miles of trails for walking, running or biking.
We visited the Japanese Garden, and it's beautiful! The waterfalls, the landscaping, and the trees are so amazing!
Parking fee was $4 for 2 hours. Entrance fee was $18 for adult, not bad at all.
From the parking lot, you have to hike maybe about one fourth of a mile to get on the top of the of hill to the garden.
Lots of friendly employees to show directions and answer questions.
As you enter into the garden, you'll notice a lot of rocks and mini waterfalls. And, a lot of stair!
Food is not allowed in the garden. Stepping on the moss is not allowed either. They really take care the garden beautifully.
One of the most beautiful place to visit in Portland Oregon!!

The zoo is an always amazing! I love the zoo! All of the otters are my favorite! My only complaints are I wish they would fix parking and maybe have more zoo volunteers and keeper engagement.
I wish keepers would talk more about our animals on their youtube channel similar to some of the zoo tv shows that exist. It’s fun to learn about the animals personalities and get to know them personally!

Absolutely-loved-it. Fantastic. Green all around, great for the lungs and circadian rhythm. Not hard, but might not take little kids who aren't used to a little hike. (Think tree trunks and mud, small hilly areas.) Really liked my time there, think we hiked about an hour. (We walked down from the gardens, through the rose garden, to the right past the playground and on a trail up around the back of the garden.)

Lovely park on a hill overlooking Portland. Especially enjoyable are the gardens available on the grounds. The International Rose Test Garden is free to go in and wander and features an amazing assortment of different varieties of roses. The Japanese gardens are ticketed ($20 for adults at the ticket booth currently), but are well done and worth a visit if you enjoy Japanese gardens. Plenty of good spots for kids to run around as well, including an amphitheater area. The park is roughly a 30-45 minute walk from downtown Portland (45 minutes from the riverfront, less the closer in you are), but the hill could be a bit of a challenge for some.

Washington Park is a beautiful area with lots of trees and plenty of hiking trails. It is amazing that this huge park is in a city—you can easily forget where you are. There is a beautiful rose garden and a Japanese garden as well, if you care to visit. We enjoyed riding our bikes around the park but be warned—there are some hills.

Rose Garden and Japanese Garden were both beautiful. Rose Garden was free to walk through. It wasn't far from the Japanese garden. It was just after the tennis courts. Japanese garden was very relaxing. There are lots of places to sit and just take in nature. I would recommend going early and making a reservation if you want to eat at the cafe.

Love this place. I visited the Forestry Building, the arboretum, the test gardens, the rose garden, the Japanese Garden, and diner inside the zoo entrance gates.
And the Max and Park shuttle are the best and easiest ways to travel

We visited the Japanese Garden in January -- and it was so beautiful to me, a Montanan! Green! A sunny day. Warm enough to be comfortable outside. It was a weekend so more crowded than I would have liked but who's complaining? Go on a weekday for a more serene experience. If I lived in Portland I'd visit the garden at least once a month.

Absolutely beautiful hike through trails upon trails of urban forests with lots of really cool trees to look at and learn about. HUGE PLACE, we were not able to do everything on site and will have to be back for the Japanese Garden, the Zoo, etc. But we did hike for like 6 hours just taking everything in that we possibly could in the Hoyt Arboretum, and we visited the Rose Garden which was gorgeous.

Everything is great here. Parking is scary. If you are able-bodied, there is more available parking down Sherwood Blvd than up near the park entrances. The rose garden is lovely and worth a visit. We also enjoyed the playground, it's ideal for 5-7 year olds I'd say

The Washington Park Rose Garden in Portland is a stunning oasis in the middle of the city. The garden is absolutely breathtaking, with rows upon rows of beautiful roses in every color and variety imaginable.
The aroma of the roses fills the air, making it a fantastic destination for anyone who loves nature. The garden is well designed, with pathways that allow visitors to walk among the flowers and appreciate their beauty up close. Moreover, it provides a perfect spot for photography and couples' shoot.
In addition to the sheer beauty of the garden, the park is also well maintained, with clean restrooms and helpful staff members who are always on hand to answer questions or provide information about the different types of roses.
Overall, I would highly recommend visiting the Washington Park Rose Garden for anyone visiting Portland - it's an absolute gem and a true testament to the beauty of nature.

Spent less than $2 on parking and $22 on a admission and walked through for an hour. This was my second time visiting the Portland Japanese Garden, but first time during the middle of Fall season. The Falls colors are breathtakingly gorgeous and this would be a great location for a romantic outdoor picnic, depending on weather, and it's super peaceful and tranquil. They have restrooms, water fountains, a gift shop, a real tea house, and at certain times guided tours! Wonderful place to visit and walk through to just slow down and enjoy nature!

Beautiful park adjacent to the Japanese garden in Portland. Tennis courts and roses...two of my favorites things. What a welcome surprise this was, only discovering it because I couldn't find parking nearby. Faced with a long walk back to the car, I was looking for a shortcut, and decided to cut through Washington park. This place was stunning with roses as far as the eye can see! How I wish I had made time to see the entire thing but what I did see just walking through the edge of it was spectacular!

I love Washington Park for its numerous grand features! Amongst the vast hilly expanses and winding trails are various thematic gardens, including the massive arboretum! You have the Japanese Garden and Rose Garden just next to each other, and behind them runs Wildwood trail, leading to the Winter Garden, and then the Magnolia Garden as one of my favorite features about this enchanted gem! And can't forget the free-to-use outdoor archery range! 😱 Oh right and the zoo too.

This is such a beautiful park near downtown. There are tons of tennis courts, a playground, not to mention the rose garden, etc. We drove around the park and walked a bit, and we were so jealous we didn’t have our dogs with us to walk! Incredible for walking pups, a picnic, etc. So huge we didn’t even get through it all driving!

One of the greatest, if not the greatest urban park in the world. Can be accessed through a hike through the hills if your in downtown or a ride through the MAX, Washington Park will give you unfiltered access to the beauty of the PNW, all within a short reach of downtown. This is a pinnacle of how we should combine our cities to the nature that surrounds it, instead of an urban sprawl that destroys it. So many trails to explore, hills to climb (if you love to cycle) and sights to take in. Must visit for anyone in Portland.
The Oregon Zoo is a large zoo with many different animal exhibits. It is focused on promoting conservation and has many endangered animal species.
Went on the first of January and they still had some snow from the week before but all the pathways were very well cleaned and salted. Couldn’t see some of the animals because of the cold I guess (it was a 27° kind of day). Some staff giving out some good information here and there like in the polar bear place. Cute Christmas lights all around and enough coffee and food shops. Some fun places for kids all ages to play around too. Totally wheelchair and stroller accessible.

07/08/23: the ticket is $24 per non-membership adult, and I thought it was a little bit expensive for a zoo ticket. However, the zoo experience did not disappoint me, and I enjoyed every minute of there
There are tons of animal shows which are at 11:15 am and 1 pm. We visited on Saturday morning, and it got crowded quickly with parents and children.
The Oregon Zoo is completely beating the Seattle Zoo in many factors: animal diversity, sceneries, and food trucks. I would love to be back soon

fun zoo the pathway is a little confusing sometimes and did cause us to backtrack to see the penguins. By far the coolest seal enclosure I've seen. the elephants seem well taken care of with lots of space compared to other zoo's. we went on a very hot day so some of the animals were away which I cant blame them one bit. overall good zoo experience. we have a 2 year old that almost never got out of her stroller cause she was tired and the zoo is very stroller accessible.

It's worth the membership.
I have a toddler and anytime we need an activity this is an easy go-to. The animals are well treated, the staff is decently friendly and, more importantly to me, trustworthy.
Twice I've lost items that were sent straight to the lost and found by the time i exited the park.
Plan ahead! See any of these viewings and you won't be disappointed:
Penguin feeding, Bird show, Elephant bath
You can also pet goats in the mornings, if you're into that sort of thing.
My toddler loves the train ride! It's super short and you won't see animals, but we always enjoy a little choochoo ride.
Find the harbor seals and the otters! They are my personal favorites.
I'm adding some holiday zoo lights photos as well.

This is definitely one of the most unique zoos I have every been to. It was beautiful with huge enclosures for all of their animals. I was especially impressed that you can see the animals pretty much anywhere they were in their enclosure. There are several ways to view each enclosure so you can be sure that you will get to see almost every animal they have. When we arrived at the zoo the bear cubs were high up in a tree and you could see them from the front gate. That was pretty awesome! My favorite enclosure was for the polar bears. They were playing in the water and were the most active I have ever seen polar bears in a zoo. There appears to be a lot of enrichment for the animals at this zoo and they appear to be pretty content. While we were there I would say we saw 95% of the animals they have which is pretty good in my experience. Usually there are animals put away or in areas that you cannot see. The way the zoo is laid out is really nice as well. We were there on a Tuesday morning in April and the zoo was fairly empty. It was really easy to get around and spend as much time as we wanted at each animal enclosure. I would definitely recommend going to this zoo if you are near Portland.

With a membership it’s a steal! Me and my kid and their friend were free. Only 21 for my boyfriend. Today was extra special because my daughter got to see her favorite animal -the cheetah up and close. We also saw an elephant playing with toys and numerous other animals! This zoo is a beautiful place set with numerous walking paths through wooded areas. A little water fall along the path and plenty of areas where kids can play. Good eats and you may also pack your own food. Just a word of caution…it’s very stinky in the area of the penguins and bats, so plug your nose! My kid wanted to leave immediately and I was hoping she would stay to watch the penguins more. Enjoyed the carousel and watching the train. You can easily spend all day here! Also, FYI the bathrooms near the elephants have more stalls than the front. If you need to go, that’s where you go!

Wife and I had a great time at the Oregon zoo. It was amazing to see the Polar bears. The zoo keeper calling them so that the public could see. They have a great structure in the zoo. Nice food (must try the elephant ears), great washrooms, lots of places ti site and take some rest. You can see the animals are well cared for. The gift shop is also a great stop, with lots of sustainable gifts. Staff is very polite and helpful.

A bit pricey at $24 per person, but overall a great experience. We visited on a Sunday and even with timed-ticket entry the zoo was crowded. There were multiple animal "shows" like scheduled feedings that were fun to watch. Very well planned walking path through the zoo, so visitors can view an animal enclosure from all sides and multiple angles.

Our family loves visiting this zoo. Besides normal visits, throughout the year, the zoo hosts fun events, like zoo lights, zoo nights, Halloween, etc. Our son loves looking at the variety of animals, especially the ones he has particular interest. The zoo also has a train he loved riding on, which does cost for each family member to ride on. If you plan on visiting more than twice I'd recommend getting an annual pass. Also, keep in mind you'll need to reserve a time slot before arriving. A great place to enjoy any time of the year!

This zoo is a really fun place to take your child. I've also taken dates here in the past and that was also fun. There are so many exhibits to see and interact with. Plenty of statues, and photo opportunities. The only problem I had was how expensive the food and drinks were. If I could give you one piece of advice it would be to bring all of your own food and drinks. You are allowed to bring your own so take advantage of it and do it. The zoo is already expensive unless you are low income and can show you receive food stamps or TANF. The elephant exhibit is amazing and I suggest seeing it.

Best medium sized zoo I've been to. The winding paths and elevation gains and losses create an adventure walk. Everything seems very well designed, organized, and enjoyable. The one way design makes navigating the crowds easier. Lots of food options about half way through is great. Elephant ears were a hit and we enjoyed the lunch we packed under a 4 bench picnic table with an umbrella. It was a workout making our way back up to the entrance. If we had more time, we would have enjoyed the train ride. Plan to go back if in town again in future.

Beautiful zoo! We went in late summer-early fall when the zoo was full of gorgeous flowers and plants between the exhibits which made for an amazing nature walk. The animals seemed well taken care of and happy. Fairly easy parking available with a lot of restrooms throughout the zoo and even free water filling stations which were nice on a hot day. They also have places you can buy lunch, dinner, etc; however, it is pretty expensive. For a water be prepared to pay $4+ and I believe a pb & j was pushing $7-10. You can bring your own picnic stuff though so come prepared. We didn’t make it into their store to shop as the day went by too quickly and we ran out of time. Check-in was simple with a quick scan of our mobile tickets. The online ticket situation was a bit confusing as they didn’t make it clear with the timed entry if that meant you only had a certain amount of time to be inside the zoo or they just wanted an idea how many people where inside. We were never told we had to leave in a set amount of time which was nice as the zoo takes several hours to make it through. The paths were clearly marked, they also have a zoo map available online and we also rode the zoo train that was fairly priced and our younger child really enjoyed it. Note there are not many animals you can see other than than elephants if they are where you can see them. It was a great family outing and we plan to go back again in a few years.

We did the Zoo Lights event! It was very well organized, free over flow parking with free bus ride to the front gates. There were some concession up with things like kettle corn, and elephant ears. The train ride is fun and you get so see even more lights. They do an amazing job getting so many lighted displays up. My 5 year old daughter really loved train and the trees that were wrapped in lights. The bug house was open for warming up and for viewing bugs. Most animals were not viewable, but elephants are awake at night and we were able to go to the indoor viewing area. 3 elephants were in their playing and eating! The keep was setting out hay bales to reach for and eat. It was wonderful.
It was sold out… but felt a bit crowded for my liking. Our group worn fun Christmas lights and it made it easier to keep track of each other with so many other people around.

I felt this zoo is underrated and should be more famous. The setting is beautifully done and each animal is given a lot of space to move around unlike the typical zoos. Probably this was the reason, every animal in here was actively moving around rather than lethargically lying in a corner. This makes it a fun experience for adults and kids alike. There were also some unusual exhibits like - Vultures feeding on a whole deer carcass which you can view at your own discretion, a beaver who has an underwater home inside a tunnel, weaver birds busy weaving pretty nests, playful otters, a mountain goat and much more. It's divided into ecosystems like African savanna, Polar passage, Primate forest, Great Northwest etc. There are other interactive experiences at different times and also a zoo train for five bucks. We went two hours before closing and had to rush through everything to complete on time. Ample amount of paid parking available.

Restrooms are clean mostly. Cafe and restaurant are pretty ok and little bit pricey. Parking lots are big but sometimes overcrowded. Summer time Friday and Saturday are busiest days. Wow what an amazing zoo! The amount of trees and shade is wonderful on a hot day, the animals had a lot of room to roam and looked very healthy, and all the facilities were well kept.
We came on a Friday morning when they opened. We bought our tickets via mobile phone maybe 15 minutes before we entered prior to getting into our car to drive there. There was still a decent amount of availability. Entering was easy with the QR code we received.
We saw some otters, bears, went on a merry-go-round, and had a blast!

We really do have a nice Zoo. The animals were all out and lively. The Red Panda was so adorable, I didn't get pictures, though. The Lions are just so majestic, I dropped everything and took pics of them.
However, the so-so food is really over priced, and they close way too early. They wouldn't let us go into the gift shop 30 minutes before closing. We were ready to overspend in there, but they were more concerned with closing the doors on time. That's fine. We will just bring our own food next time, and go earlier I guess.

The Zoo is a everlasting source of joy, offering year-round fun for all ages. With kids in tow, our visits are never hurried, and that's part of the charm—we always discover something new every time we visit.
Having cherished memories of this zoo since my own childhood, I've witnessed remarkable changes. The upgrades and new exhibits have transformed it into a captivating space. And let's talk about the Zoo Lights—it's a must-see! While there may not be many animals on display during this event, the breathtaking lights make up for it.
The Zoo Lights experience is pure magic. The dazzling display creates a spectacular atmosphere, and the best part is, you can go at your own pace. It's a mesmerizing journey that adds an extra layer of enchantment to this already fantastic place.
In summary, the Zoo offers not just a fun time but also a touch of magic, especially during Zoo Lights. The upgrades and thoughtful additions have truly elevated the experience. Highly recommend for families and anyone seeking a delightful escape!

I love this zoo. It is constantly improving. I've been going to the Oregon Zoo for 30+ years. It was fun to spend the day reminiscing about the way it used to look. Where the entrance used to be. What animals and events I'd been to over the many years. I love the knowledge of the volunteers and the friendliness of the staff. The animal enrichment keeps the animals rewarded and engaged and is so fun to watch. Membership is worth the price.

First off, I really liked the loop design where you follow a one-way path all the way through. The exhibits are organized into biomes, and the Pacific Northwest part was my favorite due to the shade and tree coverage above the walkways. Good and semi-reasonable priced cafes at the entrance and exit. Also plenty of restrooms and water fountains throughout.

The Oregon Zoo is absolutely amazing. I especially appreciate their elephant habitat. It is absolutely huge compared to any other zoo. They do a great job at providing their elephants with space. There is an enormous indoor space for when it rains. There is an elephant size pool, deep enough that the elephants can actually swim. The enclosure wraps around a significant portion of the zoo. Elephants can range quite a distance. Zoos are always a bitter sweet experience. Seeing such a large variety of majestic wild animals in one place is a great educational opportunity. On the flip side seeing the animals confined to enclosures instead of ranging freely in nature is always a bit sad. The Oregon Zoo does a great job of balancing the quality of life for their animals against the ability of the public to view and experience the animals.
Daniel Green — Google review
I was impressed. One of the most beautiful zoos I've been to and the high quality of animal care was apparent. We saw some playing tigers and bear cubs, a young orangutan, and something I'd never seen up close before - sea otters! The interpretation was also good at noting conservation efforts for the species and how guests can take action themselves.
A few critical notes. The zoo key felt like being robbed since the machines were hard to locate and rarely worked. We also were turned off by the large cutouts of cartoon animals stationed around the zoo. I think they were going for a fun whimsical take on wildlife, and sure, art is subjective, but our group found them to be rather undignified and running counter to the zoo's apparent goal of encouraging respect for animals. The other upsells like the carousel and train were also pretty underwhelming.
All in all a good visit and worth taking a look. Just please be respectful and kind when observing the animals!

Loved loved loved!! Absolutely amazing how the zoo felt like it was part of the natural landscape. Amazingly curated of animals with educational information to learn more about the individual animals and its species. The way the zoo flows just makes sense and keeps the flow of people moving.

A beautiful garden with endless rows of gorgeous flowers. Dahlias have such a wonderful variety that Make you want to look at all of them. I could stay here for hours watching them. If you are buying fresh flowers pick them right away or you’ll get last pick because they won’t add more flowers.
Warning! Come early to not be there at around closing time… they start yelling that they are closed and follow you to the car like you are a criminal. We tried waving goodbye and didn’t even get a smile from them. It made a beautiful experience become uncomfortable in the end.

Oh my goodness if you've never been there you really owe it to yourself to go. I believe the event is going to continue to Labor Day and it would be worth it. Hopefully we'll get some rain between now and then in order for the place to really look bright and wonderful. There are over 200 types of dahlias and they're all very wonderful in their own unique kind of way. If you have time to really explore the property and to look at all the beautiful flowers smell the fragrance in the air I really do not believe that you will not be disappointed.

We visited Swan Island in February, so the Dahlias were not in bloom - they told us to come back in August or September, which we will definitely do! We were, however, able to browse the gift shop and pick up a free copy of their catalog.

I can't miss an annual visit to this garden. All of the dahlias are displayed in gardens and out in the fields. During their annual festival, you can purchase cut flowers, and food vendors are on site. There is a beautiful koi pond near the gift shop. This is a perfect place to view the dahlia varieties before purchasing bulbs.

Beautiful dahlias everywhere! We were blown away with just how many flowers were in full bloom and how many varieties! My 4 & 6 years old enjoyed running around with the large sprinklers and getting wet. Kids and I also enjoyed learning and reading all the funny and beautiful names for each variety. We went on a Sunday and there was live music with a band called Fox & Bone (I think). We loved their music. We bought some simple food and drinks (for 1 adult and two kids $40) and the gifts were cute and reasonably priced in the store. Portable toilets were readily available. The koi fish were beautiful to look at also. We were all very happy to have made the trip!

I love to visit when the dahlias are blooming! The festival they hold in August and September keeps getting better and better! Besides the beautiful dahlia, there are many other gorgeous blooms! I especially love the dahlias in the trial garden! Outside of trial garden the dahlias are named so you can order the tubers for the next year based on the beauty of blooms this year! There is also an amazing selection of garden art. Today we enjoyed a wonderful group of musicians, sat in the shade of a big umbrella with our pup while we enjoyed a vanilla crème cold brew! I purchased a gorgeous bouquet of pink dahlias. It is lovely way to spend a summer afternoon!

Every color in the rainbow. And a couple that aren't too! 😉
If you're into flowers of any kind, you need to visit here at least once in a life time!
Plenty to see & do & buy.
Thanks again for a great afternoon!

Absolutely stunning place. Love the layout and how you can see all the different kinds. We LOVE T-19 and want it added to the catalog so bad. Great place for pictures and to just spend a nice afternoon. Awesome that you can buy bunches of flowers. Love love love

Gorgeous Dahlias. Wander about taking photos of the flowers and tags you would like to purchase. Place your order for springtime delivery of the tubers. Live band on weekends during late summer. Food vendors. Arts and crafts. Nice couple of hours outside Portland.

Going here is a treat to the eyes and the senses. The dahlias are so beautiful! You can stroll around the field and the gardens. So much care has been put into this place. It’s dahlia season and the flowers are bursting with color. There are food carts and a gift shop. There’s also live music (please check their web-site for schedule and hours)
Plenty of parking. If you love dahlias or flowers, come and visit this place. The Annual Dahlia Festival is going on this month (September 2023)

We love the Annual Dahlia Festival at Swan Island Dahlias! This year, we made it in time to see the dahlias in full bloom. So many different varieties to choose from with a lot of fun names, too. You can order tubers online in advance and purchase fresh cut dahlias on-site. Each fresh cut bunch is $10.00 each, or you can purchase 3 for $25.00. We loved the dahlias so much that we bought 3 bunches.
There's free admission and parking. On the weekends, there's a farmers market, food trucks, and live music, too. And if you like tutorials and classes, they have many different offerings, too.

THE PLACE for dahlia growers and anyone that wants a thorough introduction. The owners have grown and developed dahlias for years and years. It shows. The free festival features classes, ample parking, food trucks, live music, fresh bouquets to purchase, plus acres & acres of beautiful, blooming dahlias. So impressed that the owners teach the classes and are very present. The website is easy to navigate to purchase tubers and supplies. Will definitely visit again and again.

Very pretty flowers! Tons of different types of Dahlias. Going to the fields is free which is awesome, you can purchase the bulbs to plant, and lots of little shops and food trucks around.
Historic racing cars, muscle cars & interactive exhibits in a museum dedicated to fast travel.
Awesome!!! Great exhibits, wonderful open layout. So glad I found this while browsing Google maps. The exhibits and history are great. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. We are already looking forward to visiting Oregon again amd seeing any new exhibit they may have.

Brought husband here as a surprise for his birthday. He really enjoyed it—spent 2 hours looking at and reading about the cars. He had fun doing a 12-minute race simulator. Establishment is quiet, very clean, modern and full of educational materials.

Great place to come and appreciate the concept of horse power!
The fee is minimal, they rotate part of the exhibit in and out for multiple things so, its never the same all year.
There is interactive exhibits, old to knew examples, pure power and even a huge hydroplane power boat!
There is a gift shop, a eatery and tons of things to learn.
We enjoyed our selves very much. Then again, we are Porch fans and love racing so, for us it was a double win!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
Very friendly staff and lots to see.
Been there twice, both times very interesting, exhibits change often.
They have a great interactive kids place, and a well stocked gift shop.
Only $10.00 for a great experience.

I'm not sure who enjoyed it more... the kiddos or me! Very cool cars. Amazing collection of other era items. The staff are rock stars. I highly recommend you do the car racing simulators. I only wish my but would've fit in the indy car. NASCAR was equally fun. I'm gonna drive the Lotus next time through! Great family outting. Worth the money. They have food available too!

Great experience at the World of Speed Motorsports Museum! So neat seeing their exhibits. They change frequently which is great. I was there during their Mustang and Rally exhibits and the volunteers were all very friendly and knowledgeable. The simulator was a blast and I highly recommend it! They also had a nice little area for younger kids to play around that may not have the patience for the rest of the museum. 🚗

A fascinating cavalcade of facts about cars, racing, land speed records, and there's even a speed boat. Plenty of interactive exhibits and stuff to keep you interested, and the gift shop has a lot of unique trinkets to look at.

What a fun place to visit. The people who volunteer here are awesome and so very friendly. They are also very helpful. Not afraid to approach you and just start talking. The love most of them have for cars and all of that is very apparent. We learned a lot of history with some of the vehicles in which they have. Very fun. It is also a walk down memory lane with a lot of it. I am not big in to racing but I love great looking machines. This was a great birthday present for the hubby.
Farm hosting an annual tulip festival featuring vast arrays of flowers, with an all-year wine room.
Today was my second visit to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm for the Tulip Festival. I attended a few years ago and this experience never disappoints.
On this visit I got to see the sunrise behind Mount Hood. It was spectacular. The weather was perfect.
The Tulip Festival is a great family outing, a great place for portraits, a great place for drone photography, and a wonderful place for beautiful nature.
Create special memories with a hot air balloon ride at dawn.
Julie Diebolt Price — Google review
First time visitor to this tulip farm. Wonderful way to enjoy and appreciate the Spring season. Paid in advance around $45 for two adults. Spent a solid 2-3 hours here. I also enjoyed perusing around their gift shop. Benches spread out and around the farm to take a rest and also great spot for photo ops. The carnival rides for kids and the handmade/craft stalls and vendors were a nice surprise.
Rachel D. — Google review
The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival is a must see. The fields are beautiful and have lots of opportunities for photos. There is a gift shop, rides and food available for purchase. There are hot air balloons and antique tractors that are great for pictures.
The feedback I would give on what could be improved is:
1.Please allow tickets to be purchased at the door and not mandate reservations. Also consider lowering the prices. At $20 per person, it limits the amount of families that can afford to come-especially locals. The prices are quite high considering other flower festivals have little to no charge.
2. Employees could be kinder when telling people to stay out of the flowers. One employee in particular was quite rude. It is better to inform people as why they shouldn't be doing something than yelling.
3. Lower the prices of potted tulips or bouquets. At $20 per bouquet with only a few tulips in them or the pots it wasn't worth buying which we had intended to do.
Kelsey Perez Lopez — Google review
Stopping here was such a fun add on to our road trip from Eugene to Seattle. My college daughter and I walked through the tulip fields and took pictures and just enjoyed all of it. The gift shop was fun too, got a coffee and hot 🍫 and looked at all of their amazing and pretty things! We were too early to see all the vendors as they were not set up yet. Definitely worth grabbing tickets- you have to buy them online ahead of time.

Every year I get a season pass. I love going a few times and the pass makes the most sense rather than daily tickets. It can get very busy on weekends. The festival is over a month long and worth a visit if you've never been. The flowers are gorgeous! All colors can be found in the fields.

How neat and awesome is this place? Very! It was a bit cold, overcast, and windy but, boy, oh boy, it is beautiful!😍

Stunning tulips! The most beautiful place in the Spring. My mom lost her call phone and we live an hour away so I emailed and Jessica (a staff member) walked out to the field we were parked in and looked for it. She was so helpful and kind. 10/10 is all areas for this gem of a farm. I will forever be a returning customer.

The Woodburn Tulip Farm is indeed a must visit specially this season! It all colorful and bloomed! I loved the fields, vast and lot of photography opportunities! We had our pet enjoy as much as others! Loved the gift stores!
Have few feedbacks!
1: employees can be little sweet, i know you guys are working hard, but very rude when it comes to addressing customer questions
2: i wanted to fly a drone, but i was told to take permission prior, wish they mentioned this earlier and also the front office guys are clueless on how to go about it
3: washrooms can be better, it was stinky and horrible!
20$ is too much, but if u can improve a bit, its worth! But hey, we got good photos!

Beautiful weather and very little mud, tulips in full bloom were lovely. A bit pricier than expected for day tickets (includes parking) but they offer a variety of kids rides & games, food trucks, and places to buy souvenirs and beer/wine/Cider either at the tulip fields or back at the barn.
Ponzi Vineyards, established in the 1970s by Dick and Nancy Ponzi, is one of the pioneering families of winemaking in Willamette Valley. The facility is comparable to those found in Napa Valley and offers a beautiful outdoor patio area with a fire pit for wine tastings. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their wines, which include delicious whites that even non-white drinkers can enjoy.
Facility itself was top notch, on par with wineries in Napa Valley. My party had our tasting outdoors on the patio, around a fire pit. Since it was winter, the staff provided blankets and a extra pillow. The wine itself was great, better than the few California wineries I visited. The price for the flight didn’t break the bank as well.

Fantastic experience! Did the lunch pairing and the food was great and paired very well with the wine. The experience felt personal and private and although we weren’t members we never felt less than.
The som seemed knowledgeable and stayed professional throughout. Any additional wines that weren’t included in our tasting that we wanted to try, she made happen.
If visiting the area if definitely give Ponzi a go.

We spent a delightful hour and a half sampling fine wines snd sparkling wines at Ponzi Vineyards. The scenery is stunning on the Chehalem Mountains and service was excellent.

Ponzi is quite an experience. We just moved in OR a year ago, and learned about Ponzi last summer. We visited the vineyard, and their service is beyond our expectations. Joe, was very knowledgeable and accommodating during our first visit. We can’t get enough of them that we decided to be part of their family and join their membership. They offer events to introduce new variety of wine which i think is a plus.
Their wines are great, good for gifting and it will not disappoint. I am lucky to have found this gem in Oregon.

We enjoyed our tasting out on the patio around the fire. The staff was very friendly and explained all the wines well. I don't normally like whites and I enjoyed the ones they poured. The views were beautiful and made for a relaxing morning wine tasting on our mother daughter trip!

We had a great experience today at Ponzi! The staff and the hosts are amazing and professional, the tasting room over looking the vineyard has a breathtaking view! We enjoyed it. The wines are superb

Fantastic views, delicious wine, beautiful and spacious. Here’s my problem… you can’t order a bottle of wine and sit there to enjoy it. You have to take it home. What?
You can only get flights ($45 and $75!!) or a glass (most are $20). So, it’s pretty pricey. One star off for the fact that we can’t enjoy a bottle of wine in a beautiful atmosphere. That’s a loss in money for Ponzi, unfortunately.
Elle R — Google review
Beautiful view! Very relaxed day, they were not busy as we visited on a Monday. Great service! I even got a bonus tasting of rosè! I also want to add I love the 21 and older policy. I have been to wineries that allow children and in my opinion it's not the place for them. Thank you Ponzi, much more enjoyable without children running around or crying.
Michelle Brown — Google review
Ponzi Vineyards has been our favorite since relocating from Portland to Hillsboro. Beautiful surroundings and views. The seasonal plate and flat bread options are always good, but even improved since their new chef started.'
Staff is always so nice, but Phillip this last visit stepped up to another level. Very knowledgeable and easy to chat to.
A great experience, don't miss it.
Franklin Wong — Google review
Philip is an absolute delight! He shares the stories of the wine with such passion and enthusiasm that you can’t help but be drawn in. We just joined Ponzi Wine Club and as we told Phillip, he was a very big part of why we were drawn to adding another winery membership. The area has fantastic wines, but it’s the people who live and breathe the wines, and can share the stories of the winemakers that will draw you in. We can’t wait to be back and share more time with him!
K Myers — Google review
A truly awesome facility and pinot's are good, but pricey. On top of the price of the wine, they charge a $25 corkage fee for drinking their wine, bought right there in their tasting room. I have NEVER heard of corkage fee at a winery for product bought on site...not even in extremely overpriced Napa Valley.
Joe Feyder — Google review
We had a terrific time at the Ponzi winery recently. The grounds and tasting room are gorgeous, the wines on the tasting menu were uniformly great, and the hosts (Genevieve and Kayce on the day we visited) were informative and welcoming. In short, the experience ticked all the boxes for a winery we'd like to revisit again and again, which is why we became members of their wine club. We also had a nice phone conversation with the wine club manager, Abigail. This winery excels at providing a top-notch wine tasting experience for its customers. We can't wait to return for more chardonnay and pinot in their lovely tasting room.

Silver Falls State Park is Oregon's largest state park and offers a variety of outdoor activities including camping, swimming, picnicking, cycling, and horseback riding. The main attraction is the Trail of Ten Falls Loop which is an easy 8-mile loop that leads visitors through a basalt canyon filled with thick forests teeming with ferns, mosses and wildflowers. This serene park features ten waterfalls along the dog-friendly trail, as well as campsites and cabins for overnight stays.
Amazing, probably the most popular park n hiking trails in the states. Its tons of hiking trails with different lengths from easy to hard. Well maintain n managed. You could see lots of falls n great view.
You need state lark permit which could be bought online for a year or from kiosk in parking lots for $5 a day.
Even weekdays they are good amount of people all around the park
Arash D — Google review
The best 9 miles I ever hiked. Covered all the trails. Bring good hiking shoes because it is quiet muddy, the trail is not at all difficult to do.
I love the north water fall and the south water fall.
The map is so confusing, it never tells you where you are. Better to download the hiking map to help you in forest because there is no service in that area. Park in the main parking lot.
Nidhi Jha — Google review
Absolutely loved this hike. I've always wanted to go behind a waterfall. I think the lower south falls was my favorite, you're behind the fall and pretty close to the water too.
Ten waterfalls all in 1 hike! But give yourself a lot of time, I only managed to see 8/10 waterfalls. I think it took me about 3 hours I forget how long exactly.
And definitely go early, when I got back to the car around 12:30 there were a lot of cars waiting with no parking spaces available.
I went at the end of May and the waterfalls were still a wonderful sight to see, but I wonder if I went earlier in the year the water flow would be higher? Some of them didn't seem that big but I'm not sure if that's just how they normally are.
All in all, a great hike, not too hard in difficulty, but long in length, I love that it's a loop trail so you don't have to turn back around at the end.
Park is kept very clean, I think $5 fee to park there.
Ritelriaa Snoh — Google review
The trail from the South entrance was absolutely beautiful. The first two waterfalls are a must-see. Make sure to take water with you if you plan to hike the entire loop, or even half of it. Be careful for loose rock and wet slippery places. There are some steps, and the trail gets fairly steep in spots, both up and down.

I cannot describe what a wonderful experience I had here. My boyfriend and I were on a road trip to the coast and this was our first stop. We did the 10 Waterfalls hike and I was amazed during every second of it. The fact that we were able to walk behind so many of them just made me feel like I could really experience it. And all the moss everywhere was a dream. The trail is good with only 1 steep downhill and then steps to get back up or visa versa depending on how you hike it. The bathrooms were clean and even warm. They had many different kinds of buildings to explore, we didn't but you can easily spend a whole day there. 10/10 recommend to anyone who loves waterfalls.

Such a cool place for a family hike! Was recommended by a friend and definitely don't regret a single second we spent here. Highly recommend going on the hike that at least takes you through the 7 falls if you are up for a 5+ mile hike. Not too strenuous either.
Christian Hagler — Google review
On a Friday morning we decided to drive an hour from Portland and go for a “little” hike. We are non-hikers so the 2.8 mile loop was plenty of a hike for us. Easy, beautiful hike down to see the lower south falls but the switchbacks coming back up to the parking lot were brutal. We had to take several breaks. It felt good to complete the hike and we definitely would do it again though!

I planned to stop here just to see one waterfall and a short hike... 6 hours later, I didn't want to leave. It's truly stunning y'all. For those with mobility issues, it will be a challenge to get down to the waterfalls. The paths are fairly steep but well maintained. I've never been behind a waterfall and that was the coolest. They have an awesome shop and lodge too. Even cabins for rent! Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful hiking area. Trails are moderate, wide and well kept. 10 waterfalls of various sizes and length to see and experience. A few you can walk behind the water which is fun. Lots of picnic areas so bring a lunch. 3 different parking lots. The south lot is the largest.

Very well maintained and easy to hike park. The waterfalls are breathtaking. It turned out to be a rainy and cold day, so we were limited on time but I would love to come back and do the full hike to see all ten waterfalls!

Wonderful! Less crowded than similar areas. We did the beginning of Canyon Trail from South Fall and then switched to Maple Ridge Trail. Great short hike with two big waterfalls. Will definitely bring more time when I visit again.

What an awesome day! Checked out all 10 waterfalls and the hike was not too bad and took about 4 hrs. Make sure to wear proper shoes or bring an extra pair of socks if you wear running/cross training shoes. Gets pretty wet on the trail especially when you go behind some of the waterfalls. It was dope!
Virgilio Villasenor — Google review
This place is a hikers dream. 10 falls in a 9 mile loop is simply heaven. I visited on 07-04-22. The terrain was shaded, cool, wet and extremely fun to hike. There was a slight elevation at some parts and some stairs throughout. There were a few bridges along the trail as well. Definitely wear water shoes for the hike and keep a spare pair in the car for later. Try wearing quick dry clothes.
Start by paying $5 parking fee at the kiosks.
Take snacks and water.
Take a hiking stick mostly for safety.
Be considerate of others while taking pics. Don't hog the trail and let other pass by safely.
Know your comfort level if you decide to get under the falls or in the water at all. Safety can't get to you fast enough once you are around double falls.
Keep your phone charged to capture the beautiful moments.
Take your time and enjoy to the fullest.

Didn't know what to expect. First time here. As busy as it gets for a Sunday, there was still parking available. With cool temperatures during the late afternoon, the lush nature and breathtaking waterfalls set the mood for the hike. The sound and streams of the waterfalls made it a very pleasant experience. The cafe and nature store in the park is a great visit. Felt the burn on the inclines, although challenging, it was manageable. There's bike trails and some paved paths. Great viewpoints and pathways. Will definitely return for the full loop.

I love this park as much as I love the Columbia River Gorge. You can see 10 waterfalls and some you can walk behind. Some are easy to spot from the parking areas but most waterfalls require a hike. There are stairs on the trail from South Falls to Lower South Falls so beware of that too!

The Woodburn outlet mall is a mecca for shopping. There are hundreds of stores to choose from. There are enormous parking lots, but it is a very popular place so often it is very competitive to try to find a spot. There are many dining and refreshment options that are moderately priced. The retail stores range from small odd ones to very large well-known brand names. Much of the mall is covered so even on a rainy Pacific Northwest day, it is possible to walk around and stay dry. Overall this is a tremendous shopping experience and it is conveniently located between Salem and Portland.

Here for 4th July mainly for shopping and hopefully some bargains but also to escape from the searing heat. Definitely good buys to be had but you need to shop about. North Face was especially good. Despite the parking lot being almost full at the front it never really seemed that busy in the mall. There are however limited options for food here and what there is really is a rip off.

Lots of parking and the prices were great we got 60% off off of our north face TNF stuff which is totally worth it!! #stoked!!!

This is a really great outlet mall. There is a large variety of shops to choose from and it looked like new ones were coming soon, specifically Lululemon.
The parking can be a nightmare as it’s almost always full. But I love that there are so many people with dogs walking the grounds.

Best thing is no tax but hard to find any deals and it’s not like it was in the past. Not many food options and didn’t find anything interesting. Similar to Seattle premium but tax there and few other additions here like north face and new balance. Usually I end up find things at the normal stores with styles and sizes that don’t work out.
Cozy rooms with fireplaces in a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed hotel set in a botanical garden.
The visit was enjoyable. The gardens are beautiful. The restrooms were clean and stocked. The well maintained paths made it easy to enjoy each garden. (Folks with mobility challenges may have issues in some areas of the garden.) However, a tram is available during the busy season. Our grandson enjoyed the kids garden. It was nice to see that a garden was specifically designed for dogs. We will definitely be back!

I’m someone who’s typically not super interested in nature, but the Oregon garden was absolutely incredible!! The place is gorgeous and has so much variety of nature, while still feeling authentic and not forced. Great place to be alone in your thoughts.

Beautiful garden experience. This facility can be walked on foot or experienced via tram for mobility limited folks or do both as the tram ride guides you through the gardens and narrates some of the history and unique features of the gardens you might miss other wise. We did both with the tram ride first and went back and strolled the gardens to take more time seeing the features. Definitely worth the drive to Silverton, Oregon. Also of note take your time driving through town lots of well maintained Victorian style homes.

This place is like a Shangri-La, a hidden utopia. Every turn takes you to a new garden. See if you can find the blue snake hunting for tree frogs in the pond in my first picture. The other four pictures were from last summer. That tells you how much we love this place.
Plus they got the best fireworks show on July the 4th eve.

The Gardens have come such a long way from its early days. I finally bought a membership to support its continued growth and expansion. The grounds are relaxing and beautiful, and I love that dogs are welcome. There is a small nursery onsite that sells great plants at minimal cost, and a lovely gift shop to browse. I'm a little concerned about the reed canary grass that has taken over the wetlands. Eliminating it will be costly and time-consuming but eventually ecologically necessary. Regardless, the Gardens are a great place to take visiting friends and family or to spend a day on your own. Highly recommended.

We visited the Oregon Garden at the beginning of September for a special homeschool day event. The gardens were beautiful! There were many different flowers, plants, and water features to see. It was a lovely walk. The kids had a lot of fun - there were frogs and caterpillars to find, a big pirate ship to play on, a dinosaur fossil sand pit to dig in, an underground tunnel to crawl through, some cute chickens to see... And more :) the staff were all friendly and very kind as well! We spent over 4 hours there. Lots of spaces to have a picnic with your family and friends.

I'm a school bus driver by trade but a gardener at heart. I drove the honor students up last Tuesday and couldn't resist going in. Just stepping foot inside the gates and my soul opened up and I was in heaven. Its early spring still so not everything is in full bloom but thats perfectly okay. Everything I saw was beyond words. If your into earth and sun and moon or just into beautiful flowers this place is where its at. I left feeling centered and grounded and loved. I can't recommend this place enough. I bought an annual membership because I found my new sanctuary.

Lovely well maintained garden and the colors of the flowers make the garden more beautiful. Butterflies hover around the flowers. Saw lots of bees too. One can take the tram too if one does not want to walk around the garden. I was really mesmerized after seeing so many types of beautiful trees and flowers. It is a must visit.

This is a beautiful place that we didn't really know about until a month ago. The size of the gardens rivals anything in a big city, and is extremely well laid out. The garden art and sculptures were lovely. The only thing I was disappointed in was the secret garden. It was not well maintained and almost felt "forgotten". There is a large tram that will take you everywhere if you can't or don't want to walk. We will definitely come back with our Mom, and try to see it at Christmas too.
Ann Thomas — Google review
Such an awesome place, even in the early spring things are blooming and the kids had a blast.

I love this garden. Half hour tram ride will show highlights of the garden. Tram is $4 per person. Free for kids. Reciprocal memberships are available starting at $50.00, meaning there are more than 300 gardens and arboretums in the country that accept your membership as a "paid in full" entry. The garden is separate from the resort and cannot be accessed from the hotel. The Visitor Center shop has wonderful plants, gifts, and souvenirs and closes at 4 pm. Paying guests may remain inside the park and exit through an outdoor gate after that time.

120 acres of peace and serenity!
I made the mistake and came here for the first time yesterday! Now, I am going to purchase the season pass and come once a month! I am going to take the tram every time and find my favorite, of the 25 unique gardens, then walk my 10,000 steps. It is the perfect place to get exercise because they have 5 miles of pathways!
I am so glad I found Marion County! Just driving to the garden, you feel the fertility and fruitfulness of the soil. I just wish every plot had a sign to label what was growing!
This will be a perfect field trip for my students too!

Really lovely. Feels a world away from Salem, yet is less than a 30 minute drive. Wish we lived close enough to visit a few times a year to see how it looks in different seasons. Definitely spend the small fee ($3 when we were there) for the tram ride overview before setting out to explore on foot.
Adelsheim Vineyard is a leading figure in the Oregon wine industry, known for its exceptional service and hospitality. The winery offers a delightful tasting experience with a cozy outside tent equipped with heat lamps next to every table. Their range of pinot noirs caters to various preferences, from earthy and musky to bright and fruity flavors. They also have aged vintages that are ready for consumption or can be cellared for a few more years to improve their taste further.
Excellent service and hospitality. One of the best tasting experiences in oregon. They have a beautiful outside tent set up that is very warm and cozy with abundant heat lamps next to every table. They even gave us some vertical tastings, which were very fun. Very knowledgeable and passionate people about their wines. Wheather you like earthy, musky or bright, fruity pinot noirs, they have very nice releases. Some are a tad acidic and could use a few more years in the cellar and become very good wines. They also have ready to drink older vintages. P.S. check with them on their available magnums. They are priced very well!

Stopped by today during a bike ride and with the temps in the 90s I asked for some ice. Two nice women helped by providing a bucket of ice, which I quickly added to my 1.5L pack, and the cold drink really help restore my body. So thankful.

Reservation is a must; we arrived a little late than our reserved time slot. The weather was nice. We tried their Chardonnay and pinot noir flights. We took some pictures of the vineyard, but unfortunately, they didn't have a tour of their wine cellars. It's nice that they come to our table to present us with each wine, but I prefer a walking tour of the place. It would be educational and fun, in my opinion. It takes a while for them to serve the next wine, but at least we don't feel rushed.

Very much enjoyed our tasting. The staff was well educated and made us feel like we were just family or friends they were shoving over for a glass of wine. The Boulder was our favorite, the perfect red.
The outdoor tent was great for a sunny day in March with comfortable patio seating. The snack box and chocolates were a little small for five people to share, but still had a good variety. It included crackers, meat & cheese pack, almonds, olives, goat cheese and an apricot jam.

Loved the tasting here. The space is picturesque and they make some awesome wines. The staff entertained my detour from the norm tasting in my quest to find a particular taste profile I has in mind for the region
Came close but I'm wondering a bit if maybe my memory is wrong. Either way would definitely give them 5 stars and highly recommend for others to visit

Fantastic wine tasting with Sara. As an FYI they do not require proof of vaccination. So those are older reviews. Beautiful views while having a great selection of wines as Sara provided a history of the winery and of each tasting. Excellent burrata dish and an all around enjoyable day at Adelsheim.

Went here to try some sparkling wine a couple weeks back now. While they didn't have a flight of sparkling wines they made one up for us. Enjoyed what we tried and ended up buying a few bottles between the two of us. I wish the weather was nicer when we went as I'm sure it's great in the summer but unfortunately the Pacific northwest weather was not going to give us any sun this early in the year.

Driving up the driveway one will immediately notice the expansive and impressive vineyard views. The winery building is equally capturing with ample seating offered in and outside. We sat inside facing one of the outdoor views as Pablo - a well spoken and very (very) knowledgeable sommelier - provided us with valuable insights on each wine we tasted (they are all delicious), and imparted valuable advise to newly wine cellar owners from Virginia. Look around the walls inside the winery for art from local artists and how Adelsheim incorporates this on their bottles! Look for two olive trees inside that we can say are historical! We are recommending you visit (run don’t walk).

TL:DR: Where to start, Sarah (with an H) was an amazing individual. Not only did she serves us well, she talked about the different wines and the process it took to make! I advised she became a sommelier due to her talents!! The wine tasting was fantastic, the view was amazing, and the food was such a great tasting! Highly recommend!! (Drone shots included)

We came to visit on a recommendation from Lachini Vineyards on the same road. We were greeted with smiles and a taste of rose. We had our very young Doberman with us. Wonderful wine, beautiful scenery and the best staff! Jacob was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to that he truly made our experience. So much so that we made a special trip back before our flight home. The burrata with the Ribbon Springs Chardonnay is a must try! Also the arugula that’s in the dish with the Blanc de Blanc is next level.
We visited Knudsen Winery tasting room yesterday. I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures. This winery is a must stop! I am lucky to live close by to the Oregon Dundee Hills AVA and have enjoyed many different wines at different wineries. This one is will make the favorites. Many different Pinot’s to try, one of my favorites was Backstory. It is a fruity full flavor taste with a smooth finish. The Chardonnay was very good as well. The indoor tasting room is a bit small but very comfortable and I am looking forward to sitting outside on a warm spring day. The staff is very knowledgeable about the fruit the processing and the finished product. We were welcomed by Page one of the owners. She was very attentive during our whole stay. We came home with quite a bit of wine and a warm blanket and a book about their journey. Make your reservation today you won’t be sorry.

We had the privilege of touring this gorgeous vineyard with Paige Knudsen, the vineyard owner. She shared a wealth of information. My husband and I learned a incredible amount during the hike. Paige is a fantastic host. She treated us like guests in her home. I loved the wine tastings set up in two places during our hike. WOW! Best hike ever! Hike and wine! When we returned from the hike, the gracious staff served our delicious lunch. We tasted a variety of the amazing wines during our lunch on their beautiful patio overlooking the vineyard. What a visceral experience! The staff at the tasting room is second to none. We enjoyed learning about the vineyard from both Paige and Lester. They ensured we enjoyed every moment at Knudsen Vineyards. We loved the wines so much we joined the club! We look forward to enjoying a "taste of Knudsen Vineyards" at our home in Arizona each time we open a bottle. We will return here!

We had an amazing experience with the vineyard tour, lunch, and wine tasting at Knudsen on May 15th! Our tour guide Lester was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of wine making at Knudsen and in the area. We got rained on quite a bit for the tour, but honestly I expected nothing less from the PNW. We highly recommend the full walking tour to anyone interested in learning more about the wine making process.

We had an amazing tour of this beautiful vineyard on a wet, even snowy, day in late March. The tour included interesting stories about the history of the vineyard, the grape varieties and why they were chosen, why they are planted the way they are, and the wines they produce.
The tasting confirmed everything we expected about the fine quality of the Knudsen wines - a terrific rose, fantastic Chardonnay and, of course, out of this world Pinot Noir’s were had.
These are wines, and this is a vineyard, worth a visit! To continue enjoying these wines, we became Knudsen club members on the spot and are awaiting our first case (as soon as the temperature rises above freezing).
And, we will be back for another visit!

Delightful, chill tasting experience of Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs. Charcuterie plates and other nibbles available. We really enjoyed all of the wines tasted. Lester was friendly, knowledgeable about the wines, region and wine in general. Precautions for Covid are good, vaccine cards required (cool), good ventilation and the extra nice touch of blankets on our seats to allow for open doors on a bit chilly day.

We celebrated Father’s Day at Knudsen Winery with some of our kids and every aspect was truly fabulous! We ordered a couple of bottles: the Family Series 2019 Pinot was perfection-in-a-bottle and the rose is perfect on a warm summer day! The tasting room is nestled within the sprawling and beautiful vineyard - very picturesque! Guests can even book a guided hike that includes wine (of course!) and lunch!
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and are on hand to answer questions, or they are sensitive about giving guests space and privacy while checking in periodically (our preference). Our family loved the entire experience and cannot wait to return!!

Where to start?! Knudsen is tucked away down a gravel road leading up to the lookout. Here there is plenty of outdoor seating which is very family friendly. Knudsen even offers a kid juice tasting with a cheese and meat plate. Their staff is wonderful and kind. They have created a family like culture that extends to their guest. You can take a tour around the winery see picturesque views. Definitely check them out if you are in the Dundee Hills area!

The garden brunch, tastings, and walk around the vineyard was a true delight! Reservations were easy to make and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The brunch food was fantastic! My partner and I really enjoyed learning about the family’s history with the land and the exciting new things they have coming up… bubbles!!!!!
The Outlook and tasting room areas are beautiful and have lovely detail yet they felt comfortable and relaxing. It’s clear the Knudsen family has placed importance on welcoming visitors to their *home* and have created an environment that allows for connecting with others and enjoying the full experience.
We left with an additional bottle of Pinot Noir to enjoy at home and can’t wait to get back this fall for more, including some of their events! Thank you, Knudsen Family, for a great start to our day and for the history you’re sharing with your visitors.

We had the most relaxing and lovely experience here. Not only is the setting beautiful, but the service was so knowledgeable, offering so much info about the wines without being intrusive to our socializing. The wines were incredible especially the Pinot noirs we tried. Great value for a tasting and I have been to many in the area.

We have been members for many years, and remain loyal and avid fans of the wines. But today was the first time we experienced the Farm & Forage culinary adventure. Beautiful grounds and facility but the experience didn’t quite match up to our expectations. The staff was wonderful and kind, but we didn’t get the tasting experience we anticipated. We were served room temperature flight of their selections in carafes poured ourselves (could be COVID safety protocol still). Overall, it felt like the staff was there to serve and not so much as to guide us on a tasting adventure. The meatball appetizers were excellent!

Sokol Blosser was one of the group of early pioneers in the Oregon wine industry back in the 70's along with Erath and Ponzi, They stayed true to their roots, and still produce some of the best wines in the valley. First came here in the mid 90's, and while they built a new tasting room about ten years ago I was glad to see they restored the original tasting room and still use it for special events. The old space has such a great vibe, and view.

Had a delightful experience with our tasting reservation and enjoyed the tour provided by Sebastian, one of the resident felines.
We appreciated how Sokol Blosser's tasting room is set up so that most tables have a view to the well landscaped area around the building and don't leave you feeling like you're sitting on top of other patrons. While walking around outside and checking out the landscaping, I could see the plants chosen would provide a nice display as often as nature allows during the different seasons.

The tasting I had here offered one Chardonnay, a rose and Pinot which is more variety than I anticipated considering Oregon is known for Pinot.
There was a distinct difference in the taste of each pour based on the location it came from and it made the tasting all the more enjoyable.
We loved hearing about the winery’s history as well and hope to get a full tour on our next visit.

Had not been here before, but went for Meltdown, which happens in part of the Willamette Valley every February. I had done 14 other ones before theirs, and theirs was the best I had. With a side salad that was more like a large, it was only $19, with $2 going to charity. I was also able to taste their wines. I didn't realize they were one of the first, in 1971. The staff was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Would suggest going here for any visitor to OR.

I think Sokol is one of the most beautiful wineries in Willamette valley. The whole place is tastefully designed. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a reservation and we couldn’t do wine tasting, but we had a glass of wine and sat at the picnic tables. I found it weird that they’re taking orders at the same counter where they check people in for tasting. The same girl who checks ppl in at the iPad, takes wine by the glass orders, goes back to the tasting room and brings your wine. Then repeats. Not an efficient process imo and a bit weird as a lot of people might have to wait in the small check in area. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would like to be back with a reservation for wine tasting.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sokol Blosser Winery, and I must say that it was a delightful experience. The quality of their wines was exceptional, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds. Our wine steward who guided us through the wine tasting was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing our overall enjoyment. The winery's commitment to providing a positive customer experience was evident in the attentive and warm service we received. I highly recommend Sokol Blosser Winery to any wine enthusiast looking for a great selection of wines and a pleasant tasting experience. We ordered couple of bottles to be shipped to our address to keep enjoying our experience!
Easy access to the creek and 3 spectacular waterfall views. There is a lower, mid, and upper lot - each with a small picnic area and kid friendly trail access to one of the nearby falls. All of the trails link up so I'd suggest parking at the lower lot and hiking up towards Majestic Falls so your return hike will be entirely downhill. This seems like a great spot to picnic and cool off in the summer when the water is not charged from spring rains and calms down a bit. Beautiful wildflowers and native wildlife all along the trail as well. The drive out this way from Eugene is peaceful and serene.

Beautiful place, short hike from the parking lot to the upper water fall, stairs are a little steep but not too bad, my kids were able to make it with no problem!
There’s a trail that takes you through all the waterfalls /views in this area, starting from the lower parking lot (the one with bathrooms) all the way up, very worth it!
Parking was not an issue, maybe because is the beginning of the year (February) lots of open spots!
I will definitely come back to this place!

It's a steep hike, if you start at the large waterfall it's all uphill. We parked at the top by Majestic Falls, walked down to take photos, then drove to the Royal Terrace Falls- not knowing the trail was connected. But that was an easier and short hike.

Lived in Oregon 25 years and just stumbled on this precious gem of a hike. Love the elevated pathways, and the canopy of the trees. This would be a great hike in the heat of the summer as most is in the shade. It’s a little steep at times for those with limited mobility but very doable if you are fairly active. If you live in Lane or Linn county, this is a must! Free Parking and bathroom at lower parking lot (where Google maps takes you)

It's an awesome walk through the woods. Feels like you're in Ferngully! Paths are well defined and easy to walk on. There are some wicked stairs... wooden if you go one way, stone when you go the other way. So it's not for everyone... but it's worth the walk. You can take a quick walk or spend a couple hours in there, and as long as you stay on the pathways, there's no worry about getting lost. Waterfalls are a little thin in the summertime... because... it's summertime...(duh) but beautiful none the less.
There is a bathroom at the 1st parking lot only, and picnic benches at both lots and throughout the pathways. Oh... and the picture of the clovers... if you see those, try eating one! They taste like sour apples!!

The trail is beautiful! We hiked to the top of the middle falls and then turned around because we weren't prepared to do the whole thing with our three little kids. We drove up to the parking lot for Majestic falls and had a look around as well. Would definitely recommend!

Oregon State Capitol is an impressive establishment that features a remarkable dome and provides visitors with guided tours. The grounds are filled with cherry trees and adorned with Oregonian art, making the surrounding area picturesque. The building is well-maintained, and its architecture is fascinating. It stands out as a superior state government office compared to Olympia/Washington, even on a foggy day, making it worth visiting for anyone interested in state capitals or American history.

The grounds at this capitol building are more beautiful than any grounds I've seen elsewhere! There's so much grass to relax on and gorgeous rows of trees lining the fields. At the center of it all is a unique water fountain. The very best time to visit the capitol is in the spring. The flowers are blooming and the trees are in full blosom. The outdoor play area includes structures such as slides, steps to climb, forts to explore and a large mammoth skeleton exhibit. Additionally, there are several themed rooms inside the museum including a farm, doctor's office, outer space exhibit, submarine display and an airport-themed room.
We’ve visited our fair share of children’s museums as parents of 6 kids, but this is one of the most interactive and unique places we’ve ever seen! All of our kids, from kindergartener to college student were engaged and had a great time exploring.
The Erector set structure is huge and fun for all ages, and our boys loved the sand pit and mammoth skeleton area. All of the kids worked to create experiments in the creativity center and then tested their creations in the engineering test lab. The green screen room was another favorite.
Highly recommend this museum!

Pretty cool place for kids to play. 3 houses with different themed rooms in each one. One house was bottom level only and all arts and crafts. There’s also a greenhouse style place with bubble making. I think the best part was the massive playground in the center of it all. It is an old school wooden one. Loved it and was able to chase and play hide and seek with both my kids for a while.
I gave it one star off because the area the place is in is horrible. Homeless camps everywhere and junkies walking around. There was even paraphernalia in the parking lot of the museum! I included pics of it. A plunger from a syringe, empty dime bag, and cotton swabs (used for injecting). I understand they can’t clear out all the transients but maybe sweep the parking lot? I was genuinely concerned about discarded drugs and needles being tossed over the small wall into the playground area or my car being broken into.

We love this place! You would think as big as it is, and as many visitors as they get, they wouldn't recognize people, but they do! Feels so friendly. The staff are lovely. They keep the place clean and full of good vibes, even though they have to re-clean it every 5 minutes, we always feel like our 3 year old is free to explore each activity to the fullest. Reasonably priced snacks and cold drinks are available, too.

I have fond memories coming here as a kid and recently brought my own children for the first time. We were not disappointed! We spent 4 hours exploring what each house had to offer and playing outside. I’ve been to many different children’s museums and this one is one of the best! Some of our favorite rooms were farm to table, the craft area, and the veterinarian clinic. I was surprised that there wasn’t tiered pricing based on age, but honestly the admission was well worth it for the amount of time we spent there. Will definitely be back!

We love this place! We have been bringing our kids here for many years and they always have new things to do and new improvements. Last time we were here was before the pandemic, so it’s been a little while and I’m so glad they brought the bubble area back! I remember it from when I was little and it was probably our favorite spot. Everything is well maintained and clean even with a bunch of kids playing with stuff. Kids can pretend play for hours and have so much fun. We were kind of bummed that the outside area was under construction, BUT it looks like it’s going to be super cool when it’s done! And there will be places to sit and eat lunch again!
We bought a family membership (best way to do it) that also includes OMSI and the Evergreen Aviation Museum, so we are excited to be able to do a bunch of things over the next year!

The outside park area is being remodeled and closed until late summer. Our children enjoyed playing in all of the themed rooms. Their favorites were the bubble room and the fort building room. Unfortunately there aren't any elevators so the second floor of two buildings is not wheelchair accessible.

Great place for your little ones to play and explore and learn! There are so many different themed play areas, both outdoors and indoors.
Outside there are slides and sand/dirt boxes, steps to climb, forts to duck into, a big mammoth skeleton to examine, and more. Also lots of benches and tables for parents to sit/eat at.
Inside there are a bunch of themed rooms incl a farm, a doctors office, outer space, a submarine, an airport, and more. One room has metal walls and a bunch of magnetic ball tracks that can be experimented with.
Our little guy loved it. We stayed until we all got too hungry hahaha.

This place is wonderful, however I really dislike that they charge parents to enter.. it makes it very expensive and this is a kids only place. Parents simply observe their kids while they play. I think it's not right they make the adult pay to enter.. no other children's play place makes adults pay their own ticket to enter somewhere

It is difficult to find one place which is good for indoor kids and outdoor kids but this is the one. There is tons of indoor and outdoor activities, wide range of age's children will love this.
But it could be dangerous since many kids are really exited to play around, they would never care about the tiny kids around them. Since my was approx 2years old, i was not happy with that sometimes. That is only my complain about this location, I can understand that point and parents had to look their children otherwise something dangerous could happen.
All of Staffs were great, helpful.
There is one parking right in front of this place and another large one parking spot were there seems it is free during weekend. Total 60s car capacity which is many enough for this park.
What I really like is that they are trying to keep toys to clean. There is box right next to the playing area and you can throw toys if you think that is dirty. There is party room offered only 2 hours and that looks nice too

They have some new updates to each room and a renovated outdoor play area. My kids love coming here each time, so much so, we are now members! ❤️
Riverside green area with a playground, an amphitheater, a carousel & the Eco Earth Globe sculpture.
Great paths to walk, bike, or even scooter. The dogs love coming here and so do the kids. Great open spaces to throw a frisbee. You know want to have a picnic well you can, it’s a park! It’s a great place to bring the family and enjoy a spring day!

This park is really cool! First time ever being here. Very clean! Lots of trails for walking, and talking your dogs with you. Friendly people! The big sculpture of the earth was really cool to see, and of course the cool bridge you walk across, over the river!! Great park to explore!

This park is a go-to for our family any day. There's a playground/water park for the kids, plenty of space to run your dog and lots of lush trees to sit under. Nice wide, paved pathways easy for bike riding, strollers or handicap and benches to sit on along the way. Between being an active young family and/or outdoor ventures with the grandparents, we're at Riverfront weekly.

Probably the most popular park in Salem. Good for walking, running, biking etc. It has a nice playground and the carousel. This park connects to Wallace Marine Park and Minto Brown Park through two walking bridges. The bathrooms are usually kept up. I like to start my runs here and then go into Minto brown and loop back around.

Amazing location to do a bit of everything. Waking, biking, skateboarding, riding scooter is just a few activities you can do. There is a playground, spray park, bathrooms, picnic benches, lots of green areas to play. This waterfront is very well taken care, it’s clean, bushes and grass are trimmed. Definitely a place to spend a few hours with the family.

Passing through Salem, we had a few hours to "do as we see fit". So glad we picked the Riverfront City.
Mid morning on a Sunday - there were joggers, a family with kids, an elderly couple holding hands out on a walk. As we walked past the huge fisherman's statue, he said, "I'm certain he wasn't as tall as that!" And we smiled at each other.
I felt that the Riverfront City Park is a happy place. If I have some time to spare in Salem, I will visit again.

Best place in Salem! For years and years the riverfront area of Salem was taken over by grim industrial uses. Then for years of recovery, just tangled fields. Now, a changed and improved landscape that went from the worst to the best!
I and my partner just took a chance that Salem had done up it's water front and we were not disappointed! There is free parking at the Park, but by the time we left, around 11:30am on a Sunday, it was filling up.
The main feature of the first part of the Park is a great big kids play area, with restrooms. Everything is ADA accessible.
There are a lot of curvy paths but they mostly led to the cool bridge over the small channel of the Willamette.
My partner and I had our bikes and we eagerly crossed the bridge and found ourselves following the pilgrimage out onto the island, there were bikes, there were lots of pedestrians, there were many kids.
We passed many plaques describing the history of the park and the land. The local politician Peter Courtney gets a shout out. The big flood of 1855, the paper mill, the flour mill, and what wild life lives here now.
The park merges with Minto park and covers the whole island, paths go along the main fork of the Willamette are level and ideal for all ages and abilities. People are asked to be quite near the eagles nest.
Back at the park near the parking lot, we wandered North along the paths and noticed a converted Train Bridge that was now a pedestrian bridge across the Willamette.
We also noted the cool statue of the late governor Tom McCall.

Stopped for a car show and it was well maintained.
Both public bathroom houses where clean and well maintained.
Lots to do if you watch your kids (homeless downtown are 5 times more than 5 years ago).
Clearly the city has put the road funds into maintenance of this park...lol.
Carousel, playground, splash zone, river access, amphitheater, bike paths and pedestrian bridges over both river/creeks.

Riverfront is a must. It looks different in every season. Amazing views for runners, walkers, and cyclists. Family friendly. Playground, carousel and Gilberts House for the kiddos.
Salem's Riverfront Carousel is a non-profit organization that features an indoor carousel with over 40 hand-carved horses. The attraction opened in 2001 and relies on volunteers to run smoothly, providing an affordable opportunity for kids to have fun riding the ponies. The staff is known for being kind and passionate about creating a welcoming environment for visitors. In addition to the carousel, there is a cute shop and fresh popcorn vendor available on site.
How can you not like this place? The staff are kind, the kids love it, and they run on volunteers, so you feel like they really love this place and want to just see kids having fun. Buy the big punch card and it's like a buck a ride, and that's so well priced that anyone can afford it- which is their whole goal. We love bringing our kid to the park, then letting her ride the ponies before coming home. Thanks to all the folks who put love and detail into the carving, the staffing, the cleaning- you guys are amazing!

We loved being able to visit the Salem Carousel downtown! 🎠 It's super convenient for families and accessible for those with disabilities. It's right beside the waterfront park so make a day out of it! The gift shop is attached to the carousel and you can buy your tokens to ride here. The price is perfect! The kiddos love dropping their tokens in the box before they ride. The carousel is super cute, clean, and fun! All the animals are so creative and bright. My little one had a hard time choosing her favorite for each ride. If you have a toddler or younger kiddo you can ride beside for free.
Masks required here and there is hand sanitizer available. The staff does a great job of keeping things here clean and they have a good routine to sanitize between each ride. Great place to visit if you're traveling with kids or anyone who's young at heart. Highly recommend. I love to support this place! ❤

I took my brother, his wife, and daughter to Salem's Riverfront Carousel and they enjoyed it immensely! We marveled at the craftsmanship of each horse (or other piece) on the carousel itself and how each is hand-carved and painted. Truly iconic in this day and age, and one that is definitely a "must see" when visiting in Salem, Oregon!

Such a fun carousel. The staff was nice, friendly, and informative. We even got to see some of the characters that were in the process of being made. It was so cool to learn about the process and see them before they become the amazing characters we ride on. There's a park that has a splash pad and playground right in the same area. Perfect place to spend the day and have a picnic.

The experience at the Carousel itself was wonderful! My son and I had so much fun. However, the shop manager was rude to me, I don't want to say it was "discrimination" as I was dressed "relaxed/sloppy".... But that's what it felt like from treatment, tone and verbal communication. I still purchased the toy for my son but I will not be returning to buy anything other than carousel tickets. It's a shame. I probably would have purchased more things if the customer service was different 🤷🏼♀️. The carousel operator, food stand and the rest of the environment was amazing.

My kids and I had fun at the carousel. The employees were very nice and friendly. The have carvings on the top sides of the carousel that represent Oregon. Fun stop on our road trip to stretch the legs. I was shocked at how clean the park and grounds were. Cleanest public bathrooms I have ever seen! We loved seeing the craftsmen working on new horses. It was simple fun.
Enchanted Forest is a well-established amusement park that offers a variety of classic rides and storybook-inspired attractions for children. The park caters primarily to younger visitors since some areas are small and require crawling. However, the pizza served at the park may not meet everyone's expectations, as it has a school-like flavor. The limited options for snacks and drinks were also noted by some visitors. Nonetheless, Enchanted Forest features several enjoyable areas such as the haunted house.
I have lived in Eugene for 24 years and had never been to Enchanted Forest until today. My husband and I took my son for the first time, he is 2.5 and he absolutely LOVED it! The storybook houses, the slides, the beautiful Oregon backdrop, the rides and the staff were all wonderful! It is kinda spending, but in my opinion, worth every penny! I highly, highly recommend for any kiddo 2+! We will most definitely be back very soon!

We had so much fun with our 6 year old. This place is worth every dime you spend and every mile you drive. It will take all day to enjoy your visit if you want to e place every attraction and ride every ride. There are lots of hills to walk up and down so take your cane if you need one. It's totally wheelchair accessible. There are gifts for everyone and food. It's not overpriced at all in my opinion. You can tell the owner put his heart and soul into Enchanted Forest. Cute little place!
On our drive back to California we decided to stop w/our 2 year old.
It’s a walking fairy-tale tour at first, with a western town and some rides and activities.
2y/o loved the story/fairy tale tour and ran all around!
Cute little place for a fun quick stop.
It appears you can take food in. So it would be a cute half day to take a picnic/food and get the kids out!
Wish we lived closer but it was fun!
$22 is the adult ticket price and was a bit steep considering it’s just a walking thing but it was still fun.

This is easily my favorite theme park. The shady trees make even the hottest days bearable, the attractions are quirky and cute, and it’s fun for both kids and adults alike.

There are a lot of hands-on play for little ones. There are no all-day passes, so expect to pay $3.00 -$5.00 per ride, per person. However, you can bring your own food and food prices at the park are reasonable, So it balances out.
I came here when I was 5 and now my grandson comes here. It's cool to take pictures of him in front of the same attractions that I did as a child. For me, it brings up a sense of nostalgia and I enjoy coming because I remember my father and I playing on the witch slide, the old lady in the shoe slide, and other attractions that are still present. Now, I get to make new memories with my grandchild. I do wish they had a annual pass so that I could come more often.
Another positive is thst this park is family-owned and you are supporting a local business. They seem to make sure that things are reasonably priced. It's well worth it if you have little kids.
There's a Western Village, an Old English Village, castles, and plenty of photo opportunities. There are a few rides and attractions that would be fun for teenagers, but they may get bored quickly. Teenagers may not have such a great time, save for the unique pictures they could take in front of a variety of locations. So, if your teenager is big into selfies and picture taking, a few basic rides, and a haunted house they may enjoy it for a little while.
Me, personality, I love coming here with my grandkids.

Overall it’s a great place to take kids mostly since half of the places to see are too small for adults to crawl and do all the times of moving haha . The pizza was school pizza flavor in the sense of would be delicious but it wasn’t up there . Wish they had more options like teas and pretzels . Half of the stores were closed when we went . Did enjoy the theme and areas like the haunted house . Tickets are up there in price so save money before hand because for two adults and a kid your already up to like $70 . That doesn’t include rides you want to get on . Enjoy it though since it’s rare to have places open now a days.

Always a great place to take the family. The parking lot was full but they had an overflow lot down the stairs street with a shuttle bus that would drop you off right in front. There is an entrance fee, once your inside, you will have to purchase tickets to go on rides. Very nostalgic for those who grew up going there. Feels good to support a local family run amusement park.

Beautiful location, on a hill in the woods. So it’s protected from the heat!!!
The windy ways with angle make it hard for toddlers to walk around. My and my friends little took a dive on the pavement. Our toddlers were 2,5, our oldest 5 years. They’ve had the perfect age for most rides. It was disappointing you had to pay for every single ride also when you HAD to get in the ride with your little one even tho they would’ve been perfectly fine without you. So entry+snacks+ rides ends up in a pretty spendy day. So definitely nothing we will be doing every year and especially not more than once since it really cuts into a budget. But nevertheless it’s a beautiful park with lots of love to the detail. Coming from Germany visiting amusement parks was a thing k grew up with. But you pay admission and the parks are filled with rides you can get in all day long as many times as you want. So this was a disappointment. We will definitely do our amusement park visit in Germany next year and are excited! If you ever get close to Oldenburg there’s k e right at the ocean!!!! Amazing vied and a day full of fun!!!!

I went to mock what I expected to be poorly-made,yet kitschy Disney knock-offs in someone's backyard, only to be stunned by a delightful theme park that truly punches above its weight.
The place is compact, allowing you to experience all of it — live shows and rides included — in just a day. And that's not a downside. Shake off the Disney and big amusement park trauma, and revel in a day filled with quirky attractions, from Pirate sing-a-longs to genuinely thrilling log flume rides. During my visit, the lines moved swiftly, especially in the early hours.
The food is astonishingly affordable for theme park fare. In fact, it's a steal even by regular fast-food standards. While it may not be gourmet, it delivers exactly what you'd hope for, with a few pleasant surprises thrown in, like a barbecue joint and an ice cream shop offering dole whip.
In addition to admission, you so have to pay extra for thrill rides (Haunted house, alpine coaster, log flume water ride, and an interactive dragon shooting ride), it is worth it.
Yes, there are some odd (ugly), offbeat, and occasionally malfunctioning sculptures and animatronics. But there's such inherent charm and whimsy in it all that it's easy to overlook. I walked in a snarky skeptic, only to walk out proudly donning a souvenir t-shirt and wearing an incredulous smile.
Highly recommended.
A perfect score of 10/10 enchantments.

The biggest thing I would suggest is wait until your kiddos are old enough to walk the park. Bring backpacks with whatever food/drink you want for the day. Do not bring your stroller, or your wagon. You won't be able to get around inside of hardly any of the attractions. You'd be able to walk the normal paths but you'll be stuck to the main trails and unable to go inside the attractions. I own a Wonderfold wagon and we went to take it into the first castle and we couldn't even make it inside. If you have a small baby, I suggest wearing them. :)
There are no more ride bracelets so rides cost $3 -$5 per person per ride.
I have two toddlers I took with me and was hopeful we could ride the MTN ride but no one was able to give me an answer as to if they both could ride with me. I was told id have to purchase tickets, wait in line and ask the operator. HOWEVER tickets are refundable.
My kids loved the slides! They wore themselves out running up and down the slides ❤️

I love this place and would fight to keep it open as long as possible. Robert Tofty worked hard and it's hand crafted with love . With that being said, you also can't charge guests $10 admission and $5 per ride. Going as a child when it was $2 per ride or a ride wristband was the best part. Won't be going again this year or in the future because it's ridiculous to run you $20 for 4 rides that last under 5 minute's per ride . They are pricing out low income families being in Turner that's not sustainable.

I was really surprised by this under reported gem of a theme park. My 5 year old had a blast. There is some fun and spooky decor (not necessarily intentionally spooky) very retro storybook land but my kids still enjoyed it. There were plenty of open concession stands, prices were affordable for food and rides. Tons of parking. Lots of uphill walking but not a problem for us. Staff were on top of making sure the park wasn’t dirty almost constantly sweeping and taking out the trash.

Awesome amusement park for a young family. Very fun and young kids themed amusement park. Our 4 and 6 year old boys had an absolute blast.
Admission works on a paid admission and then tickets per ride. Each ticket is $1, but any leftover tickets can be returned when you're done for the day for a refund.
Rides range from 3 to 5 tickets each.
Very affordable drinks, snacks, and food. Incredibly clean for such a well visited location.
Super friendly staff.
Here are some highlights of some of the rides;
The Haunted House creeped our little guys out a bit in a good, fun way, lol. Wasn't some lame carnival style one. This was lengthy with some imagination put into it.
The Bobsled was a very fun rollercoaster for the whole family.
The Challenge of Mondor was a fun monster shooting ride that the kids wanted to do twice.
Panning for treasure was only 1 ticket each, and participants get to take home a bag of "treasure".
Highly recommend for a younger family!

We called them to see if they're open and they said they were, got there 40 min later to a sign saying "sorry we're closed". Would've been good to know before driving all the way down.

Wonderful family run business. So much to pick berries in the morning and come home to make smoothies, freezer jam and raspberry bellinis!

So fun! We got to dress up in the old clothes and take a picture by the old wagon from the Oregon trail! They had lots of rooms set up like back then. Very interesting

I personally enjoyed the small, old fashion theater set up. We got to pick out our desired VHS to watch from an array of choices. Mouse Hunt was our choice. Lots of history to look at. Free admission, though donations are encouraged to keep them up and running.

The museum is a fantastic place to learn local history for the Mid-Willamette Valley. The volunteers are knowledgeable, dedicated, and kind. The artifacts are fascinating. Take a walk past the Halsey Bank or study a map of the indigenous Calapooia prehistoric mounds. You can even watch Stand By Me in the little theater!

This is a fabulous, jam-packed museum with a very helpful and informative staff. For years, we saw the sign for this museum from the I5 and never had time to stop in. Today, we had the time and stopped in. We’re glad we did and we’ll likely be back. Did you know Stand By Me was filmed here? They’re developing an exhibit that showcases this. Can’t wait to see it!

Starzjeepcrew always stops once a year for Stand by me weekend or as tradition self guided tour with friends if we can't make it that weekend. This museum is the most informative in oregon.

Wonderful ladies who work here- they are very knowledgeable about the history of Linn County and the museum is so fun! I love the interactive exhibits like loading an Oregon trail wagon or dressing up like the people from the time! I also really liked their caboose exhibit. I think having the boxcars included in the layout of the museum is clever and unique, and the sweatshirt I got was both affordable and super comfortable!

This museum packs a huge punch into a relatively small space. Located in the railroad depot building dating back to the late 19th century, a large portion of the museum is in train cars - including the theater.
Dress up in authentic pioneer clothing and take a picture with the actual covered wagon the Drinkard family used to cross the frontier in 1865 - one of only 3 known actual Oregon Trail wagons still in existence.
They also have extensive artifacts from the pioneer days - blacksmithing equipment, and replica General store, doctors office, bank, and more. You'll even see hair art! 🫨 You have to see it to believe it!
The volunteers are very kind and knowledgeable. Admission is free - they accept donations (and I highly suggest supporting them!) but they will not ask you to donate.

A gem in Brownsville! Michelle and her staff are lovely hosts and know their stuff! Love that she supports local farmers when she can. Home made food and delicious wine pairings. What more could you ask for.

Our favorite Go to place!
The largest open-air park grills I've ever witnessed have captivated my interest. The river flows through the park, accompanied by a trail situated right beside it, which I thoroughly enjoyed. However, if one plans on camping there, it tends to be quite crowded. Nonetheless, the day park itself is exceptionally impressive! It boasts the most remarkable public shelters I have ever encountered in a park.
It's one of my favorite places to go with a cup of coffee, to soak in some sights and sounds of nature. Plenty of space for kids to run, and nice access to a few beaches for some rockhounding at the right times of year.

We stayed at the Campground in our RV, It was AWESOME, Carole the manager was one of the greatest people I have met on our 2 month Florida to Oregon trip, we will definitely go there again and highly highly Recommend, Price is the best for miles around, full hookups, and a great location.

The park is a beautiful place. The attendant at the RV spaces could be kinder, but all in all we had a good time and enjoyed our celebrations. We barbecued and visited and went down to the river. It was enjoyable.

Years ago the park was lush and green, Grass could use some water its now dry and yellow (Fire Hazard) Still a nice park to go for a walk and or picnic. Has shelters and tables and barbeques Has a Boat Launch to get your boats into the river There is another section in the park that is away from others but has been gated for a number of years. Has walking paths and as dog friendly (Leash required) Photos only show the walking trails and the river the grass is ugly and dead I gave it 3 stars because of the grass

The surrounding is very beautiful and the park itself is in an enchanting location. The staff however is not very nice or helpful. They are way overpriced and the amenities, such as their 5min showers are horrible. Not worth the price. Great for a day trip but definitely not for a place to lodge.

Love camping here. Close enough to town if you forget something or want to run to breakfast. Can float the river or kayak and take out here/be at your campfire in minutes. Friendly, helpful staff. Great rates for full hookups and pull throughs. 50 and 30 amp available. Lots of space to picnic, generous sites.

Wonderful RV campground and park near the city. Full hookups. Wonderful spacing between sites. Fully paved pads, that are mostly level. There is a laundry facility on-site. The RV sites also include cable TV, and there is WIFI available.
Verizon and AT&T signals are strong.

Armitage is hands down, one of the most gorgeous campgrounds I've camped in. Just minutes off interstate five in the cute little town of Coburg. Coburg is also home to some fun antique stores!

Biggest outdoor park grills I've ever seen, so that has since tickled my fancy. The river running thru with a trail RIGHT NEXT TO IT, loved it. However, if camping there....well its packed!!!!!! But the day park is super cool! Coolest shelters I've ever seen a park have for the public too
