Joy! Warm, modern church. So beautiful. Full of the beauty of a consequential monastery. Employees in gift shop friendly.

We were there on February 15, 2022. It was very cold that day so we didn't walk the grounds, but will come back and do that. The Visitors Center is every nice. And the ladies working were so nice. We bought a Fruit Cake, and some fudge. Both were excellent!

Very peaceful place. We wanted to go to confession at 2:30, but the line was at least 15 people long with only one priest hearing confession.

I have visited the Abbey for retreat four times now and it will always be a place of refuge and tranquility to me. Each time I've visited I've been greeted by the kindly Br. Gerlach at the front desk and his demeanor always sets the mood for my retreat. Everything from the sweet lady who takes the reservations, to the property itself, to the gift shop, to the meals (the ladies in the kitchen are the unsung heroes of the whole experience) to the guestroom accomodations is perfect. I never thought anyone could make me love fruit cake but even that has been added to my amazing experiences there.
Many people go to the Abbey because of Merton's having served there, but it is so much more than that. Please go and let the tranquility of this special place calm your all your ills.

(I'm a Buddhist, I say this with great respect and love ....) I visited 30 years ago. The visit has had a profound, and positive effect on my life. It still does. The Sanctuary is very beautiful, very simple. The sung Office (Chant) is tremendously moving. As is the (stillness of) silence. Christianity at its best. Thank you brothers.

One of the most serene experiences I've ever had. This was an amazing place to hike. So quiet and peaceful. A wonderful place to meditate and pray. I am looking forward to going back very soon!

Most amazing place… at least my 13 yo daughter who wants to be a nun says so. I’m fairly fond of it myself. The only place I can be in silence and at peace. Usually I have to be moving and doing something. This place is different. Thank you Jesus!

The moment you pull in the Abbey is just absolutely gorgeous. The welcome center shows a great movie about Abbey. There is a gift shop the sells many different kinds of sweet treats the monks prepare. There is a great selection of Thomas Merton books as well as other great authors. Listening to the monks pray was truly emotional and special. I suggest going to the balcony for a better view. The trail to the statues has two entrances. One through the woods and one that is flat. I suggest the wooded as it was very beautiful and pretty easy. Overall a very nice, peaceful afternoon.

Beautiful location, building, and grounds. Very peaceful. Honey, fudge, fruit cake in gift shop, all made there. Many great items in gift shop. Take the time to watch the full movie in the room on the left as you enter gift shop building. It shows a day in the life of a monk. We'll worth the time. Seemed like 20-30 minutes. It's on continual repeat so you can start and stop on your schedule. Plenty of free parking. Some great hikes across the road. Inquire at gift shop. You can sign up for a personal retreat here if you're interested.

I had a very prayerful, peaceful, restful retreat at the monastery.: The staff and a couple of monks we were allowed to talk to were all very kind.

This is a very nice and peaceful place. Great for meditation. We were there on Sunday, so didn’t get to see gift shop. Numerous hiking trails are there for the adventurous.

It's totally weird rating a sacred space as if it were a tourist attraction. I spent a full week here as a retreatant, and it was one of the most significant weeks of my life. I have every intention of spending more time here. A 5 star investment in my journey.

Sad. Super modern church. Not beautiful at all. Devoid of the beauty of a traditional monastery. Women in gift shop were not friendly.
Maria Hidalgo Dolan — Google review
Such a peaceful, tranquil spot. Was able to enter the visitor center, gift shop and the church! They have several trails on the property across the street wasn't able to hike them today but will go back again!
Natural woodland habitat featuring native trees & wildlife plus groomed trails, gardens & fields.
What a neat place. FYI: the 'admission' fee is a suggestion of $10. They ask for a donation and would likely accept any amount you give them.
Guy at the gate was quite friendly and helpful for us first-time visitors. Gave us a map and told us the visitor center was closing at 4pm. According to the information provided to us, this place has 40 miles of trails. There are large stretches in the center area that are unshaded, so please bring plenty of water. Quite a bit of one-way roads and so forth, so watch the signs and pay attention.
Restrooms were very nice. The visitor center and gift shop appeared to have nice things inside, we just didn't go in. Parking lots and spaces all over the place. Kids area looked cool. We did see several charging stations in the main parking lot by the visitor center.
Go do the forest canopy overlook thing. Very deceiving from the map, but it's a pretty good drive up there (couple miles maybe?). Many of the trees and stuff have markers on them so you can learn about what you're seeing. Quite a few quotes from folks and informational signs, too.
The 'giants' are quite adorable and very cool. Make sure you see them all. Just because. They're just really neat for sure! I'd like to go back again and do some more hiking/walking around. Take it in better. Give yourself a few hours and don't rush. :)

Beautiful!!!
The lady (I think Linda was her name) at the entrance was so welcoming and friendly and gave great directions.
My mom and I enjoyed it so much we went back 4 days later with my daughter and grandson.
Follow the the big yellow footprint 👣 and you will find the Giants, but there is so much more to see.
Mr. Richard one of the park ranger was super helpful.
Encourage the children to observe with their ears, not just with their eyes.
Nature is beautiful
Parking is good, bathrooms are clean.

Wished we had better planned so we could've spent more time here. Is not free to get into the park ( highly encouraged $15 per car "donation") but huge park with beautiful trees, trails, and the Forest Giants! Even had a Kona ice truck on one end of a trail as you crossed over the main roads you get to other trails. Would like to go during the fall and cooler months as I'm sure the all the foliage is beautiful! Take water with you as you will be thirsty.
Sidonia Martin — Google review
This park is BEAUTIFUL. It is free, but I'd recommend donating at the front gate as this park deserves it. It has maps at the visitor's center where the employees are incredibly knowledgeable and kind. The trails are very clearly marked and there are different trails with varying difficulty levels. I'd recommend bringing quarters to feed turtles and having a lot of time to explore! Some trails close early so if you're looking to do a longer trail, get there early. The Cafe has the freshest food that's grown in the park and the prices are incredible! In the gift shop, products from local artists/small businesses are available and they're so worth the prices. Definitely prepare for ticks/bugs but that comes with any outdoor place. I would certainly recommend this place to anybody - it's truly incredible and there's so much to explore. It's a must-see for sure!

Went here on a nice warm, not hot evening at the end of August/summer. Was able to find two of the giants from driving to the different parking areas and walked a short distance to find them. We were not prepared to do the 2 mile hike around to them all. I think the last one is further away is why we didn’t make it. This is a really nice and clean park. Definitely going to stop back in when I have more time. Was in the park only about 1.5 hours. Really want to visit when the leaves start changing colors. Make sure to have some quarters with you to feed the fish and turtles some food. They turtles will come to where you’re standing waiting to be fed but we didn’t have any with us. It’s free to enter but donations are welcomed.
Jess C — Google review
What a cool park! It’s a $15 vehicle entry fee/donation and well worth it for the size, trails, and sculpture gardens along the way. It was too windy the day we went, but there’s also an elevated canopy trail there where you “walk in the treetops”. Spring had sprung when we went, and the red bud trees were beautiful. We also saw different kinds of water birds and some turtles. Very nicely kept grounds/trails and a full visitor center/cafe.
Jennifer Gallerani — Google review
I loved this place so much. It’s a large imaginative playground and garden. The pond was full of turtles and fish waiting for a bite to eat. The giants were super neat. We spent about two hours here. I would love to go back.
Cristi K — Google review
This Arboretum is absolutely gorgeous and the forest giants are so fun! It is free admission but they recommend a donation. The trails are relatively flat to see the giants and very accessible. There ate more advanced hiking trails as well. We really enjoyed the cafe that is inside the welcome center/gift shop. They have healthy fresh options that are made from food grown there on site! It was chilly the day we went (Sunday) so it wasn’t crowded at all!
Caitlyn Kirchoff — Google review
My kids love it here!!! I told them we were looking for giants so that was thrilling. The natural park for kids is unique. So many trails and sculptors throughout the park. Not many people the times I’ve gone. We pack snacks and food because we spend hours here and still haven’t made it through the entire park or to the third giant.
Whitney Bright — Google review
We had a great time here even in the cold! Well worth our donation entrance fee which is optional! I wish we could have arrived earlier to visit the visitors center! A great place for families with children, so much to see and do and it’s all hands on fun! Would love to come back!

Beautiful grounds, well maintained and thought through. We spent several hours here walking the Forest Giant trail, as well as several others. The kids loved the playcosystem - not your run of the mill playground. Definitely worth a stop!

Visited this beautiful wonderland during winter so there were not many people or plants blossoming but it was still stunning! Some of the main buildings were closed because of off-season and renovations but it still have tons to see. There are multiple pull offs and parking areas and plenty of places to stretch your legs or walk your animals. Lots of hidden away areas to chill, tons of trails and big open green spaces. I would say that this whole place is wheelchair accessible although it might be a bit rough accessing everything since it's quite a large park and of course not all of it is paved. This place has something for all ages and health levels. Gorgeous wildlife here too! For a donation of $10, your vehicle full of people can stay all day and finally get that well deserved peace of mind and fresh air. It is very worth it!

What an interesting experience! This is a pretty large park and of course has unique pieces of art scattered all around! It is definitely a place you can come back to again and again just so you can eventually see everything!
Thanks to the large main road looping around the entire park, we were able to see 2 of the 3 main giants and at least a dozen art pieces in 2-3 hours.

This was an unexpected treat! The Trolls were huge! The scenery and grounds were GORGEOUS! Butterflies, gardens, wildlife...beautiful manicured walking paths with lots flowers. Plenty of portapotties, and friendly folks.
Don't dismiss the natural gardens either!
Gary Rosier — Google review
It was hot out there but worth the trip. We did the hike for the Forest Giants and it was pleasant. There was a lot of wildlife on the trails. There was even more to this place that we didn't see. We will absolutely be back in the fall to see the trees changing and to walk in the cooler weather.
It is free but they ask for a donation at the front gate. Cards are accepted. There are a few stations along the pond to get fish/turtle food for a quarter...definitely do that.

Awesome Beautiful Afternoon adventure. Short visit. Arrived at 3pm. Not much time to walk more. Park closes at dusk (5pm) . The Visitors Center is amazing and there is not enough time to look. Was traveling back to Tennessee around The Tri- City's Area caught my Attention so turned in for a look SEE. THANKS 👍 👍 The staff are very delightful people.

Beautiful park. I wish we had more time to spend. It would probably take multiple days to do everything.

It was a great visit with plenty of trails to walk and semi easy access to see all three creatures. It is quite a walk to visit all three, but you can drive around the park for quicker access. Overall, we enjoyed the time outside and hope to visit again. They do ask for a donation per vehicle. We gave $15 and feel it is well worth the price. I do wish they would fix the wood on the creatures that is falling off.

Place is spacious and oh so amazing. I was really pleased. If you have children their playground has to be one of the best I've encountered in all of the country. Playground designers should take note and bring these concepts to playgrounds nationwide. The gift shop has an assortment of cool local items and relevant items I wished there were more Giants related merchandise. The giants are a sight to behold. Really phenomenal work. Also, we saw a blue heron on the premise. It was magical. What a lovely trip.

Such a beautiful and relaxing place. Support the forest by getting a membership. Donation of $15 (per car) is suggested when entering, but I'm sure they will take $5 or $10 if that's all you have. I don't think they would turn you away. Four trips at $15ea will pay for the membership then you just show you membership card upon entering. Actually a great deal. Members get a discount on special events. I haven't been to any special events yet.
Very nice hiking trails or just walk near the lake or giants. The gift shop is very nice and the staff are extremely friendly. Enjoy your visit.

We have visited this park twice in the last couple of months and have had a great time. The second time we went to canopy tree walk and it was beautiful. Especially now that it is the fall season. We also have had a lot of fun seeing the giants. They seem to do a good job of keeping the place maintained. We have already recommended this park to others who have come and checked it out and had a good time.
The Cave Hill Cemetery is one of Louisville's most popular tourist destinations with its beautiful gardens and notable graves. The cemetery includes the graves of many famous people, including Colonel Sanders, Muhammad Ali, and Meriwether Lewis Clark Jr.
This cemetery is a certified arboretum and hosts an incredible selection of large old trees including a 9' diameter ginkgo, specimen quality oaks, magnolias, bald cypress, black cherry, zelkova, tuliptrees, bays, hydrangeas, and more. Many are labeled or number tagged corresponding to a website database with info. If I lived in Louisville I would visit here once a month.

I would have loved to have had time to walk the entire place. Amazing resting place! Got to see Muhammad Ali’s grave and Colonel Harlan Sanders graves. Plus tons of other interesting monuments. And a hawk lounging on a nearby tree looking for a snack.

I'll try and write something that hasn't already been said. I visited on Feb. 1, 2022, and the grounds were immaculate - no leaves, no trash anywhere, and there were lots of cemetery workers out doing their jobs, and doing it well! Who would think that even in February a cemetery would be that well maintained. It made for an extra nice visit since I'd never been before. And let me end with the security man who greeted me at the gate, was extremely nice and helpful!
Dan Pfirman — Google review
Listen to these reviews - Seriously cool and worthy stop. I can’t adequately express how pretty it is. It has earned its designation as an arboretum. Whether you walk through or drive around this is a free attraction that is as meaningful as it is pretty. You can stop at notable graves or enjoy the flora and architecture. Something for everyone. Make this a several hour stop or drive around to kill some time. It really is worth it and was actually my favorite stop for a brief day and a half trip to Louisville. Grab a map and good luck trying to navigate!

Loved, Loved, Loved!! What a unique cemetery with so much to see and learn. Very different tombstones (tree trunks w/log branches, sculptures, scriptures and not enough time). Would like to come back for the tour. Appreciated the map given by greeter for visitors. The map alone was interesting.

This is one of the Louisville's best places to visit. My four year-old daughter asked if we can go back. There are lots of cool markers and statues. It's a great place to meander on a day when the weather is favorable. The roads can be labyrinthian, but Google Maps does a good job of helping you to navigate. I recommend checking out the newer graves (near Ali's site). They are creative, and a lot have pets.
Ted Carter — Google review
Don't miss this place if you're visiting Louisville for more than a day! Some heavy hitters are at rest here: Muhammad Ali, Colonel Sanders, "Pappy" VanWinkle, and others. The vast grounds are wondrous and serene with gorgeous flowers and plants and peaceful streams.
Chad Levitt — Google review
This is a very neat and historic site. This Cemetery, also called "The City of the Dead" and holds a couple of icons: Muhammad Ali and Colonel Sanders (KFC) . The map that they have for the grounds is very helpful to find some key sites. In addition to some iconic resting sites, there is a lot of history with the cemetery, like the rustic house and the Civil War soldiers' graves. Throughout the cemetery there are abundant beautiful headstones, landscaping, and more. For someone who enjoys and respects the beauty with death and cemeteries, this is a very nice site.
Hazel LePage — Google review
My 16 year old and I had a great afternoon wondering through the beautiful grounds. The caretaker gave us a map, which was super helpful. It pointed out some special areas and gave info on some key people who remain. We both found it interesting.

Big Cementery with great looking places of rest to some well known Americans (Kentuckianas). Visited Colonel Sanders, Muhammad Ali and other Military Brothers, including Union and Southern Soldiers. Pretty landscape and interesting Statues decorate this graveyard. I was not too impressed to see that Southern Soldiers tombstones were not at par with Union Soldiers.
We enjoyed both gift shops. The Kitchen Table restaurant and bar is a nice experience. Good food and drinks. Great overall experience.
*Get your tour tickets in advance if possible. They sold out for the whole day by the time we got there.
*Mask required (03/05/2022) for tour and gift shops.

Amazing tour! This was one of our favorite tours on the Bourbon Trail. Our guide was very informative and entertaining. The tour takes you behind the scenes of their state of the art facility and provides so much insight into their history and their bourbon making process. We had the opportunity to bottle our own Barrel Proof Knob Creek and the tour was followed by a traditional tasting of their products. They have a very large gift shop selection in addition to an on-site restaurant. We didn't get an opportunity to eat at the restaurant but we heard great things about it and we look forward to trying it on our next trip. Following our tour, we were able to purchase a Lineage bottle, however they did not have any other allocated bottles available. The staff advised they frequently put out other allocated bottles at random times throughout the day. I highly recommend stopping by the distillery. You won't be disappointed.

Since I’ve already been to the Jack Daniel’s Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, I had to give this one a chance!
I booked the Beam Made Bourbon Distillery Tour & Tasting for my significant other and I on their website. I even brought my dog along. This experience was a total of 1.5 hours.
The entrance took us down a winding road around the campus. It was quite large, so the signs helped tremendously on where to go to find parking. We entered through the American Outpost building to get things started. We were each issued a physical ticket.
At the start of the tour, we were greeted by the two tour guides. After being told the rules, they directed us to go on the shuttle bus outside. It was a short ride to our first destination. We used the shuttle bus throughout the tour, as the campus was so much larger than it appeared at first glance. We were also in and out of certain areas, so if you have the chance to visit here, you may want to dress appropriately for the weather. Unfortunately for us, it was cold outside.
After we viewed everything on the tour that was used to make bourbon, our last stop was to actually try bourbon! With bourbon around me for over an hour, I was pumped to arrive at the tasting room. I was able to choose my own seat and there was a tasting palette prepared in front of each seat. The palette consisted of Jim Beam, Basil Hayden, Knob Creek, an empty glass for Your Bourbon Of Choice, Booker’s Beaten Biscuits, and Water. We were guided on how to properly perform a bourbon tasting. Without giving too much away, there was a process, trust me. This tasting was, in a way, elegant. I enjoyed everything on the palette, including the oddly placed Biscuit. For my Bourbon Of Choice, I chose Booker’s. I figured that it would be a good choice, since it was a fairly old bourbon and being the oldest of the choices. It was a mean bourbon! I’m glad I chose it.
The service at every angle of this place was outstanding! The tour guides were both filled with knowledge and even answered random questions from other guests on the tour. They never rushed anything, which gave me optimal time to soak in each set of scenery.
Overall, I had a great time here! The cold weather was saddening, but of course that wasn’t their fault at all. Going in and out of the buildings accompanied by the moments in the shuttle bus gave me blasts of warmth. I would definitely return here in the future!

Great tour. It was fun to see so much of the campus on the tour. They do have sell some allocated bourbon in lower gift shop, but like all bourbon at many times sold out. The tasting was good 4 small pours but that is legal standard. The tour guide was knowledgeable and it was fun to learn.

This was an incredible experience! We arrived about 30 minutes before our tour was to start. It gave us the opportunity to look around the gift shop. The tour started promptly at 10:00 AM. Our tour guide, Courtney, was the bomb! Knowledgeable, witty and sometimes funny, she made the tour fun. Even if we were calling here credibility into question about half way through the tour. (Inside joke there, take the tour and you'll get it!) The bourbon tasting at the end of the tour was interesting and informative. There were 4 different bourbons and they each had their own unique characteristics. This place for sure gets 5 ⭐'s from me!

This place is gorgeous. We came in and felt welcome to learn about their history. Because James Beam own multiple brand under them, they offer many cool selections for whiskey. During this time is high season, reservation is required. I was trying to make reservations two weeks prior, nothing was available. So we just browsed around and picked up a few of Distillery exclusives bottles.

What a gorgeous property! We didn't expect to enjoy our time here as much as we did. Beautiful fall decor, and fabulous staff. We had a fun tasting with Lily, though the tasting room was great, it was a little loud with a full room. We had lunch at the Kitchen Table afterward and had a great meal and the best old fashioned I've ever had. We bought two excellent bourbons to add to our collection. We visited to check Jim Beam off of our bourbon trail passport, but we'll come back just for fun.

Definitely a distillery you will want to include on your Kentucky tour.
Pros:
*Beautiful campus filled with rolling hills and decorated buildings for Christmas.
*Lovely gift shop with lots of items for sale with all their different brand logos.
*Nicely appointed restaurant with a lot of unique recipes with both outdoor and indoor seating.
*Many picturesque spots with lots of bronze statuary to take some great group photos.
*Extremely nice and accommodating staff both in the gift shop and also the restaurant.
*Free wifi
Cons:
*The lunch items we ordered, while good, were not as hot as expected.
*The drinks we ordered at the restaurant were mainly ice with very little alcohol, which seems odd for a distillery.
*Tours start at $25 dollars and include a tasting, but several other distillery tours in the area have free tours and tastings.
*The gift shop is pricey and the vast majority of the clothing while very high quality looking were mostly 100% polyester.
Well worth including in your itinerary!

10/10 recommend the tour. Our tour guide Nikki was beyond knowledgeable. They have quite the history and Nikki did not miss a beat. For questions she did not know, which was rare, she found the answer quite quickly. She kept our tour group engaged and entertained the entire 1/5 hours. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the restaurant is top notch. There was not a single thing on the menu that we would not get again. The duck poppers, the sausage pizza, the red salad, absolutely delicious. Our server April was extremely friendly and personable. Everybody we came into contact with was friendly and happy we were there.

We went for the Basil Hayden food pairing. It was a little loud from the restaurant but we could hear our host and she was very friendly. The food tested our palates with unique creations. By far the fanciest food we've ever had. It was enjoyable tasting each bourbon with the flavors of each course. Would recommend for something different than a bourbon tour.

Absolutely great experience! From start to finish the tour was outstanding! Daren and Chase did job! Our entire tour group was engaged, laughed and had an overall great time! I would recommend this to anyone. Please plan ahead and book your tour in advance as they do fill up. Stop in The Kitchen Table while there. You don’t need reservations but I would recommend them. Or, there are usually spots available at the bar. We had a drink at the bar that wasn’t on the menu call “ When in Rome.” I think I have a picture of it in this post. If you have time pick one up and you won’t be disappointed.

A must visit on the Bourbon Trail! Be sure to schedule a tour in advance since they are often sold out. Our tour was both informative and fun! You can even bottle your own bottle of Knob Creek and put your fingerprint on the top.

Amazing experience on the bourbon trail! This is a must-see if you are in the area and looking into the rich history of Kentuckys heritage. Not only is the tour entertaining, you get to sample a number of their bourbon's. The restaurant is a bit pricey but the food is absolutely amazing.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Bourbon the Beam Way experience. Tour members board a shuttle and are taken to the buildings being toured. Our tour guide was Holden who was engaging, funny, knowledgeable and welcoming. Dani was our shuttle driver and she did a great job. Once inside, visitors learn about how Jim Beam started, how the process works from crop to bottle, and then moves on to barrels. My understanding is this part of the tour can change based on what is being bottled that particular day. My husband and I enjoy Knob Creek so we were thrilled that product was chosen for the day. A person in our group got to partially fill a barrel and then 3 people in the group got to dump part of a barrel and we all got to sample it - in our hand! That single barrel Knob Creek taste was fantastic. We moved on to the bottling room. The participants can elect to buy a bottle. If you want to, you take an empty bottle and place it on the production line. Participants can watch it be filled, labeled, and the wax applied. You get to put your fingerprint in the wax on the top. The tour ended with a tasting of 4 products.
Don’t skip the trip to the upstairs bar! Of all the distilleries we have visited, this one has the best deal on higher end pours. For $20, you can pick two 1/2 Oz pours. We got the 18 year Knob Creek and the Lineage. We also got two of the three Hardin’s Creek. The bartender was patient, fun, and engaging as well.
Jim Beam should definitely be included on your Bourbon Tour.

Solid tasting experience and a good gift shop. There's a lot of history on display from original bottles to special hand crafted editions made 40 to 50 years ago.
There's a tasting bar on the second floor where you can try almost anything on offer in the shop.
Was very pleased otherwise with both the merch and whiskey on offer.

We hadn’t planned to visit this distillery, but I’m glad we did! It was a beautiful spot with great photo opportunities and a gorgeous tasting venue. We learned about some of their lesser known (to us) labels, and enjoyed the opportunity to taste and purchase products we can’t get in Texas. The tasting felt a bit rushed and we didn’t get to sit with our party because it was a full tasting room with no assigned seating, but it was still enjoyable and informative.

KENTUCKY KINGDOM – also knows as KY Kingdom – is a HUGE amusement park that is right next to the Louisville International Airport. Besides rides, the park has a waterpark (Hurricane Bay) with slides, lazy rivers, splash zones and family-favorite wave pools. With attractions such as roller coasters, games and shows, it's perfect for all ages!
We loved it! Be sure to get the two day pass, and get there early enough both days so you can enjoy everything! If you.can, go on a weekday. It's extremely busy on weekends. Almost TOO busy. Ride lines were super long, and some of the water rides (Tornado) didn't have enough organization. People fighting over floats, without attendant. But nonetheless, fun time had by all! It looks like an old park. signs are faded, carousel looks old. In general, the colors of the water park are paying the bill of time and it is seen that they do not invest much in some areas. The park is large and there are a variety of games to have fun. They have also brought new attractions that will leave you breathless if you enjoy the rides. Prices. Admission $58.00 at the entrance. $3.70 for a drink. Locker for 2 backpack $18.00. Better if you get tickets online before get on the way.
Abe Q — Google review
I wanted to just get 2 tickets online for my kids. The price of one ticket was so high it was outrageous for just one day admission. While I understand the reason why amusement parks want people to buy ticket in advance to benefit from cheaper prices, it is very hard for me to schedule ahead due to work and other personal reasons😤 I ended up buying the season passes. One season pass is cheaper than 2 tickets if bought separately.
My kids love the park and all the attractions in it. It was not very crowded since we went on a Tuesday, so they ended up going on the hot attractions such as " Lightening Run", Scream Extreme" and " Free Fall" more than once. We easily spent over 5 hours. One of the season pass perks is free parking which usually costs $12.
The food is more expensive than in a restaurant. For example, a cheese burger and fries are $12.99. 3 chicken tenders and fries also cost $12.99. Kids and adults equally LOVE the dipping dots; a kiddie size is $5.99. Be ready to spend money especially if you have kids.
We did not visit the water attraction today: We will be visiting Kentucky kingdom again very soon :))
I did not take many photos unfortunately but I took one video :)

2nd time coming here. We came on a Sunday in September and it wasn’t busy at all. There was no wait getting inside and really no wait on most rides either. Tons of parking available. Tons of food options available around the park. You could definitely ride all the rides multiple times from the time the park opens to close. Definitely recommend if in the area or just needing a smaller park than the others.

I like Kentucky Kingdom. It has 6 roller coasters, all of them pretty solid in their goals, and for coasters enthusiasts, it has two very good rides among them, Lightning Run and Storm Chaser (this last one is super good). The kids section is fairly big, with several attractions, and Hurricane Bay, the water park, can give you some fun if you get to enjoy it (personally I highly prefer Holiday World Splash Safari water park, but the one in Kentucky Kingdom is not bad). Food and drinks are somehow expensive if you don’t have the season pass, by the way, so a warning there.

My kids, grandkids and myself had an awesome time here! The rides was fun especially loved getting to ride the Farris wheel! Never encountered one rude staff member everyone was very helpful and friendly. I bought season passes for us all and the kids have gone back a few times so far. A great place to cool off in the pools and just have a great time. See ya again soon.

Storm Chase was the best ride at this theme park. Was also the main reason we checked out the park. Park and restrooms were clean with good prices on the snacks. Could use some more coasters to add thrill to the park and run more than one train when the lines are longer. Overall, it was a good experience.

We bought the season pass last year and only went once.. it’s a great place to spend an afternoon, they have a variety of rides but NO FAST PASS which forces you to wait, and wait, and wait on all the popular rides. This park has an insane amount of potential but they definitely need a fast pass system to make it more enjoyable for the people that are only there for the rides.

This is a hidden gem. My two older children and I spent a day here, and had a great time. The rides were very fun, and there is a variety to choose from. I especially recommend the Storm Chaser, and T3. Both of them very thrilling to ride.
The staff was accommodating, and the environment was clean.
As far as amusement parks go it represents a great value. We will probably return next year.

My boyfriend and I were skeptical since the last time we came was when Six Flags still owned Kentucky Kingdom, but we had a great time with the updated park.
There were barely any lines for a summer weekend, and the staff was fantastic - especially the gentleman in charge of Thunder Run who went out of his way to track down a lost pair of sunglasses for us (which he didn’t need to).
I’m not a thrill chaser myself, but my boyfriend and his sister devoured the roller coasters and we all took over the splash park in the afternoon.
Do yourself a favor and buy the park bottles to fill up - .99 for soft drinks, and water is free. I think that saved us for our long, hot day of fun.

A great place to spend time. The staff are friendly. There are alot of different games that meet different ages. The drink station are always ready. I highly recommend you to visit this place where you highly enjoy your time.

Fall leaves and funnel cakes, ya'll! Decorated currently for their pumpkin/Halloween type theme, and it's very well done. Many photo ops, snacks, costume contests, and even some light trick or treating for kids. Lots of seating, several restrooms, and snack places located throughout the park. Small parade passed through about 3 times during the 5 hours we visited. Hardly any wait for the rides at all. Lines moved quickly for food vendors and rides (we visited on a Sunday from about 4-9pm). Recommend seeing the pumpkin decor before the season ends. Plus... funnel cakes, ya'll! Bonus: I found discounted admission tickets on Groupon, so it might be worth checking!

Me and my 8 year old love coming here.
I’ve seen this park improve and grow over the last 2 or so years. Their special events are on point and I’m looking forward to the new added events in the upcoming season. I have the diamond pass this year and I’m already liking my fancy drinking cup. Keep up the great work Kentucky Kingdom

First time visiting since I was younger when it was ran by six flags. The pumpkins at the park was great. Lots of cool decorations, and some of the rides at night looked great. Some pretty good rides. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because numerous rides including Thunder Run were closed for the remainder of the season even though the website and Facebook page makes no mention of that when buying tickets. We will eventually return.

Had a blast with the kids. I only wish they had a fast lane because some lines were nearly two hours wait. We had a free drink armband though and that definitely was worth it because you can get as many as you need throughout the day at pretty much any food or drink stand. Overall great day !
Heather Curtis — Google review
Had a great time! Park was clean and the rides were really fun. It was a slow day during the week so the lines weren't long either. Only bad thing is a handful of rude kids that work there. Cutting me and my son off while walking through the park. Still quite a few rides shut down as well.
David Patrick Burns — Google review
I came here with my friends and spent about six hours exploring the whole park and enjoying our day off.
Upon entering the gate to this place, you have to pay a fee per car of $12, and the individual ticket is cheaper to purchase online than in person at the ticket booth by $10! I should have known this before buying my ticket in person, and I could have saved money. (You don't have to make this mistake, though.)
Once you park your car and get your tickets, there's another expenditure you must make other than drinks or food: a locker. I purchased a large locker that fits my beach bag with my stuff in it. If you bring a medium-large backpack, you must buy an XL locker, as a large locker won't fit your gear. Again, once you are done settling your locker, you are ready to explore the whole park!
There are plenty of rides to see, which my friend and I did initially before enjoying all the water theme rides. Bring a fanny pack for your handheld devices and other things, and get your water! You have to stay hydrated, especially when the weather outside can be very humid and hot.
This is a fun place to go to with your friendsand family. There are different activities and rides for diverse ages, and everybody gets to have fun all day! It is worth checking out occasionally (maybe for summertime).
Nat Rose — Google review
They had no water park in may, just few rides for the kids . Took 7 minutes to circle the open section. No free drinks! $48 a person. Not worth the drive or $10?? Recommend Holiday World cheaper tickets, more ride, and above all free drinks for everyone!!

Kentucky Kingdom is an absolute blast! I had a fantastic time at this amusement park and water park combo. The variety of thrilling rides and attractions cater to all ages, making it a perfect destination for families and thrill-seekers alike. The park was clean, well-organized, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I especially loved the water park area, which provided a refreshing escape from the summer heat.
The roller coasters were exhilarating, and there were plenty of entertaining shows and events throughout the day. The food options were diverse and delicious, offering something for everyone. The park's commitment to safety and cleanliness was evident, and I felt comfortable during my entire visit.
Whether you're looking for a day of excitement or a relaxing time by the water, Kentucky Kingdom has it all. I can't wait to visit again and create more wonderful memories. If you're in the area, don't miss the chance to experience this fantastic amusement park! 🎢🎡🏖️😊

Highly recommend the pumpkins at KY Kingdom. Great rides, they offered face painting, balloon animals, dancing and candy. The lights and decorations were awesome. Myself and my 14 year old had a blast.
Kart Kountry is a sizable family-friendly amusement park with the most extensive go-kart track in the United States. Besides go-karts, it has plenty of activities such as bumper boats, batting cages, miniature golf, and an arcade to keep visitors of all ages entertained. However, some games may not be available due to maintenance issues at times. While most activities cost six credits or more per game, guests can purchase 100 credits for $22.
It’s an absolute blast. The giant arcade was a little too much for my kids (100+ machines), but the outside activities are the real star of the show. We played putt putt and rode the go-karts. The tickets were just $6 per activity.
Howie Lindsey — Google review
So 4 stars cause half the games was down. Bumper boats not open 😑 batting cages waiting on parts not open. Mini gold courses very well kept. Volcano course is quite a challenge. Most games take 6 credits or more. $22 for 100 credits. The go kart track was awesome if it's nice out you are gonna be waiting for awhile tho. 1 ticket 1 lap. Can't use multiple tickets you get 1 lap and get back in line.
Kayla Adams — Google review
It was my daughter's first time on go car she really did love it. we had a good time also on the bumper boats.
The only bad thing about this is i didn't know where to go to get tickets or anything until you walk around in the arcade. There's Nothing pointing you where to go to get started. Just walk around the arcade and you will find it it's kind of at the back.
Prices are fair I'm thinking it was $6 for the go-cart one lap and $6 for the bumper boats for 5 minutes.
My honest opinion is I wouldn't waste time on the bumper boats but if you have little kids this is great.

Great place to bring your kids. There are plenty of things to do for a couple hours. We played the Volcano Putt Putt Course and then we took some swings in the batting cages. Batting cage speeds were 35/40/45/50/60/70. They threw pretty consistent.
There is also an arcade with tons of games and their prize selection is way better than other arcades
We will definitely be returning!

We drove an hour to get here, and this is the second time we came. We had a blast and the prices were reasonable. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to. My kids loved the go karts and they even had one that a large fellow like me could ride. We will definitely be back.

We loved this place!!!! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We purchased the 5 attractions for $27 which was the best deal. We rode the go Karts 3 times, the bumper boats and played the 18 hole mini golf. We played in the arcade afterwards. This was a great family friendly experience!

Great place to make memories with the family! Fun attractions such as the 1.5 mile long go-kart course, mini golf and an indoor arcade. Would have been 5 stars but some of the arcade games were not working and a few took my credits when trying to get the game to start. It is an older place so expect some wear and tear on some of the machines but I feel it's the owner's responsibility to service their equipment when it comes time to repair them. Overall great place!
Nathaniel Weathers — Google review
Kids had a blast. They did every attraction and played a ton of arcade games. Even the old games. They have a great selection. Even the audios got into it.
Carla Pasley — Google review
Great place to spend a couple hours with the kids. The lines for the tickets can get a little long, but that's expected. There's 2 courses for mini golf and the go kart has a pretty good long track. The go kart even has a system that keeps the line moving instead of waiting for everyone to get back at once.
Joe Forren — Google review
There should be a way to load more money into.your player card that doesn't require you standing in the very long line. Even with two people behind the desk, the line was still super long. We left after we ran out of money on the card because we didn't want to spend 30+ minutes waiting in line.
A few of the gocarts didn't run right and had a slight miss or would cut out for a second.
The mini golf was cool except for one hole that your ball would get stuck in because there wasn't enough water pressure to push it.
Brandon Cleary (th3cavalry) — Google review
Had absolutely wonderful time! Go karts, bumper boats, mini golf and arcade games it was all fun! The only disappointing thing was the snack bar was closed. Staff said it was only open on the weekends 😕What? It's summer time! Kids are out of school. My kids alone would've bought $20 worth of ice cream and slushies. I get that decision if school is in session but this is such a no brainer for the summer. I would have left 5 stars but i just couldn't.
David Patrick Burns — Google review
Great experience. Versus the indoor competition elsewhere. Would highly suggest bringing in your own safety glasses , there will be debris flying from nature and from off the track. The dirt could be avoided if the track was swept before opening. The safety team on the carts are also on point. They will attend to your needs if the go kart fails while on the track.

The Kentucky Derby Museum is a heritage museum located in Louisville, Kentucky that preserves the history of the famed horse race. The museum features exhibits on the race and its participants, as well as an event space that can be rented out for weddings or other private parties.
I haven’t bet or even watched any Derby before, but after my visit, I am definitely trapped by its charisma.
The introductory movie is nice. It gives you all the details about the game. But what’s really amazing about this visit, is the tour after the movie.
We went to the field where Kentucky Derby has taken place for more than 140 years. I learned a lot about the horse, the Jockey, the game, the price of seats and how the field is maintained.
The visit really opens my eyes to a whole new world that I have not touched before. It’s a wonderful visit!!!
Even you are not a Derby fan, you should check this museum out. It’s worthy!!!

We showed up and did the Barns and Backside tour, which is an hour, then did the walking tour an hour after that concluded. Really great tours. We went to the museum in between the tours and saw the greatest race movie. Currently a lot of construction but it'll be great once it's done. Highly recommend the tours. The barns and backside gets you to the other side of the track, which is nice, but I wish we could have walked into the barn area, although I understand why we couldn't. Great experience.

A very affordable and informative tour. I was able to ask questions of the guide both during and after the tour. The amount of knowledge he had was incredible. We got to walk out to the track and see where it is that the horses run. Hard to believe more than 150k people can fit!
Outside of the tour, the museum has so much available information for you to read and go through. There are incredible artifacts and interactive features to engage with. We really enjoyed the 360° video experience as well.

Lots of history and a great location to visit even if you are not totally an avid fan and follower of horse racing. The tour and museum will give you a solid understanding of the sport, both past and present. I recommend anyone coming to do one of the two tours available to get the most of your trip here. Just simply walking around the museum is not enough. The tours are between 1-1hr 30 min and you can either tour the grandstand and spectator areas or the stalls for the horses.

Very interesting place about Derby History, you have to take the tour to the barns to see the horses but you have to be older than 8 years old. The history tour is very interesting and it was so cool to hear about the history and care they give to the horses definitely a must seen spot of Louisville 😉

Worth stopping to see even if passing through. The 18 minutes video plays every hour. You can watch it from the second floor or inside the room. I recommend getting to museum at top of the hour to watch The Greatest Race for better appreciation of the museum if you know little to none on this American tradition.
The walking tour is great. Tour guide was high in spirits, knowledgeable, and respectful to keep guest in shade on a hot day.

Book in advance!!! We woke up Saturday morning and decided we would add this to our list for the day. The website showed all times for the tour were still available, so I decided to wait until we got there, since I wasn't sure when we'd arrive. We got there about 2pm and all the tours were full. We still paid full price to see the museum. Plenty of free parking was available! There is a lot to see and do in this small museum. Very informative! My daughter loved the exhibits and being hands on with racing equipment. Secretariat’s exhibit was amazing! The employees were very friendly! The store was a bit over priced and very small. The café closed at 3pm which seemed kind of early too for me.

Visited Churchill Downs at Louisville, Kentucky. Loved the museum and watched the history of Churchill Downs too in a 360 degree auditorium screen. Had taken the tour too to see where the most attended and most watched horse race takes place in the United States. Would love to come back to Churchill Downs in May to watch the Derby in person. One can buy different memorabilia from the gift shop too.

The short film, " The Greatest Race" is stunning! I might be addicted because I kept going back to watch it. Warning, it may give you goosebumps and a sudden urge to buy a racehorse!
Let's not forget, there is a gift shop. I absolutely loved the displays. The products are quality and the prices are reasonable.
Oh, and I must mention one of the most important parts... The customer service is excellent! The staff is friendly, fun and knowledgeable. They will make you feel right at home.

I visited the museum as part of its annual Horses and Haunts Tour during October. Our guides Heather and Molly were excellent guides, providing a lot of history to this native and Derby attendee (for 45+ years)! It was super cool to see the track at night and hear these stories under the hallowed spires. Highly recommend visiting the museum and taking advantage of this tour every October!

Girl Scouts have an opportunity to earn a patch here as well.

This is a must if you are in Louisville and are interested in the history of horse racing. Our tour guide Max was wonderful- we took a chance on the day that we went and were blessed to have seen an actual horse race which was for selling of the horses. There is a lot of history- we highly recommend that when you take the tour you ask as many questions as you possibly can as it makes it more interesting for both you as a spectator and for the tour guides as well. The museum has a lot of information so plan to spend a good amount of time there. It is also interesting for kids of all ages - there are video horse races that you can choose your own horse and ride and control the horse, there are life-size mannequins and horses of great history and there is even a mock starting gate for you to climb onto a horse for a great photo opportunity. Should you get a bit hungry there is the Derby Cafe where you can get a quick bite to eat however check for when it is open as it was closed on Sunday which we were aware of and plan for accordingly. Highly recommend

Really cool to be on the grounds of something that you've only seen on TV completely packed with people. The museum gave a great history of the race, the grounds, the horses and the jockeys. The 360 degree movie was super heartwarming and a great addition to the museum. The track tour was cool. The facts about the grounds were very interesting. There is a lot of construction going on right now so the cranes and such were in a lot of my photos. The staff helping in the front were not super friendly or helpful with providing what was available that day. The entire thing was definitely something to see, not sure if I'll be back again.

The behind the scenes tour was phenomenal- Barry, the guide was extremely passionate, patient and knowledgeable. His passion for the Derby was infectious! The actual museum was interesting but nothing compared to being able to drive past the stables , talk to the hands and hear all of the interesting rid bits. What a great find! The KY Derby Museum was better than I expected. They have an excellent film and a beautiful museum that covers all parts of horse racing - horses, jockeys, trainers, owners, and Churchill Downs, and more. The trackside tour is informative and engaging. We saw a few horses and riders on the course, too.
We also purchased the Barn & Backside Tour. It was cool to see some of the Derby horses already housed here. We saw a few horses arriving in preparation for the Derby.

We were visiting from out of state and specifically stopped in this area to visit Churchill Downs. There were not races at the time, but we did visit the museum and I will say it was amazing, even my non-horsey family enjoyed this experience. If you plan to visit, I would recommend purchasing tickets prior to arrival, this will ensure you are not spending a long amount of time in line, it will also preserve your space to see the track tour which is awesome. The docents that walk you into the track have years of Churchill Downs track experience and love sharing their experiences and track history with you. The visual inside the track is beautiful and a great picture opportunity. If you get an early enough walk through you may get to see horses working out on the track. Also, while there be sure to watch the track movie. It is extremely well done and touching if you are at all interested in horses, horse racing, or are just the idea.
The museum is two floors with the first floor dedicated to track and track racing history. The second floor is dedicated to exhibits about Secretariat (racehorse), D. Wayne Lukas (trainer), and Bill Shoemaker (jockey), they are all very well done.
I would also recommend, at the end of your visit, taking a stop into their cafe and try out a Mint Julip and one of their sandwiches.
Overall, this was a great experience at $20/person, I would definitely recommend visiting this gorgeous museum.

An amazing place to visit. We went there this mid-week in a large group and bought tickets in advance. The experience was very good. We learned many things about the Kentucky Derby and all of its history. All the guides were super friendly and cordial. We had the guided tour which was a very unique experience to learn and visit this museum. There was a 360 degree movie called "The Greatest Race" included in the tour. That was a unique experience to have. There was a gift shop there that has a large variety of souvenirs and hats. Overall, this museum is very good to explore. If you get the chance to explore Louisville in Kentucky, I would definitely suggest having this in your list.

Churchill Downs is a horse racing track located in Louisville, Kentucky. It has hosted the Kentucky Derby since 1875 and is also a National Historic Landmark. The track usually seats up to 50,000 people, but on Derby Day it can hold up to 150,000 spectators.
We paid $17 each for a 30 minute tour of the grounds as well as entrance to the museum. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and encouraged us often to ask questions. As a childhood fan with very little knowledge of the history race, I was amazed with the history our tour guide was able to share in just the 30 minutes we were there. If you know more than me, you might ask questions and be pleasantly surprised to hear her explain Churchill Downs trivia. Since it was only a 30 minute tour, we didn't go far from the museum, but we did get to see the track and the winners circle under the twin towers! The museum is quite large and holds of a lot of interesting facts as well as interactive and informative games for some of the younger (or young at heart) crowd. 10/10, must visit!

One of the coolest things I've ever done! If you have the chance, visit Churchill Downs. It's an experience you'll never forget! When we visited, they had a bunch of food trucks in the vicinity. It was neat because you could walk around to a couple of food trucks, purchase some drinks, dance to the live music, and then go watch the horse races. We just sat in a general admission area which worked out perfect because we were there during the week when it wasn't crazy busy. Overall, we had an absolute blast!

Very interesting museum visit and short tour. The entry fee includes an immersive 18-minute video on a 360-degree screen with surround sound, all museum exhibits, and a 30-minute tour. There are rotating stools for viewing the video so you can easily spin and see everything. Our tour guide, Steve, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Videos are shown at ten minutes past every hour with a ten minute intro on the hour. Tours begin on the half hour, and the guide picks you up in the theater, which is called The Great Hall. There is a nice gift shop with loads of merchandise and a cafe that can both be visited for free. The only issue we observed is that the parking lot is quite small, so leave extra time for arrival, as your reserved video and tour times are set.

Went to see horse races. Was a phenomenal experience. We got our tickets when we arrived which ended up costing us a third of the price. Has a parking lot concession stand for food drinks and a gift shop. You can smoke inside while watching the horse races. Once you enter you can't return. Races take place all day. Minimum bet for a horse race when we went was $50.

Great experience! This was my first visit. We took a tour of the city and this was one of our stops. Enjoyed seeing the horses race and exploring the grounds, which are very beautiful. The gift shop has a good variety of items, such as derby hats, shirts, magnets, and derby collector items.

If you get the chance take the Superstars and Spires tour. At ninety minutes it covers a lot. Our guide, Bob, was really good about sharing stories and historical insights about this great track. The tour takes you through all the grandstands and high end seating where the stars and celebrities enjoy the Derby. There is a museum to visit as well as a theatre to watch a movie about The Race, which is a must see. Visit the store for some swag and the cafe for a mint julip.

We went to the November live races and I would rate that a 5. We bought tickets to the millionaire’s row section which was great and included a buffet and all you can drink soda. The buffet was very disappointing. It went from 1 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. We got our food at 1:15 P.M. after the first race was done. The pasta was warm to cool in temperature, the chicken was dry. The dessert selection was very messy in presentation. That lowered our rating. Is that really how it is for the Kentucky Derby when people are paying $10,000 or more for tickets? Thank goodness ours were $61 each (includes entry to Churchill Downs).

I had such a wonderful, enjoyable day/experience here yesterday(Sunday, November 5th, 2023).
I came with dear friends who are parents of a deceased army son.
We attended the Military remembrance day for surviving families.
11 stares were represented.
Such good food, a band, face painting, activities fir the children and so much more was provided at No cost to the families and their guests.
The staff I talked to and got to know we're absolutely so friendly, caring and a joy to meet
We had such a wonderful time.
Thank you to your staff throughout the building and grounds.
I will definitely come back!

Definitely recommend purchasing tickets for tour ahead of time and including the video and track tour. We had our tour at the end of the day so we didn’t get to enjoy the museum before the tour. Plan for more time on the front or backend to be able to wander through the museum.

We went to Opening Night 2024 at Churchill Downs. It was a great night. I enjoyed the night racing. However, they need to improve on their food concessions. We spent $65 for 2 burgers, bratwurst, and sprite. There was no lettuce, tomatoes on burgers. We couldn't get mustard or ketchup either, and fries were cold. For the price you pay, they should have a condiment station at least.

There are few greater places in the entire world than the Legendary Churchill Downs.
Fortunes have been won, and fortunes have been lost.
At times, the rush of nostalgia will rush over you, coupled with the roar of the crowd, and the thunderous stampede of the thoroughbreds down the back stretch.
Memories are made here that last a lifetime.
The sun always shines bright at this Ole Kentucky home.
And you ain't never been anywhere, or seen anything, until you've witnessed a Kentucky Derby in person.

My wife and I toured this well-known site in late February and unfortunately, it was cold and windy. But we were still able to walk through the stands to the finish line and the guide braved the nasty weather to give us some interesting tidbits and insider info. The museum is also a must-see, especially if you are a horse racing enthusiast. The museum offers a well-rounded history of Churchill Downs, the horses that have run there as well as the jockeys, trainers, and other workers who made the Kentucky Derby world famous. I’d love to see a race here!
David Pelowski — Google review
The museum was actually much bigger than I thought it would be and much more interesting that I thought it would be so I ended up thinking it was worth the money to get in. It also included a tour down to the stands which was pretty cool to see and able to see the track up close as just part of the basic tour is a very cool place to go with a lot of history.

I would love to experience a race event in person some day.

Home of the most famous race in the world the Kentucky Derby. I would have loved to go to one of the races but I came here in the off season when there were no races running at all. There are a lot of different tours to go on: Backstretch Workout Tour, Barn and Backside Tour, Black Heritage in Racing Tour, Bourbon and Bridles Experience, Race Day Experience, Hermitage Farm and Derby Museum Tour, Ultimate Churchill Downs Tour, Throughbred Workout Tour, Superstars and Spires tour (I really wanted to go to this one but it was sold out), Guided Track Visit. I went to this last one, you got to see the track as well as the grandstand. Nice quick tour if you aren't a big fan or in a pinch for time but I definitely recommend the other tours if you are a big fan.

An amazing experience to watch a live Horse race. You can't imagine how good a vibe is created during the horse race. We bought tickets in advance. We watched almost all the races that day. Very good experience. There were plenty of food courts inside. Next year, we are planning to go there to experience the Kentucky Derby that has almost 170,000 viewers. In Louisville, this place is a must visit.

2024 opening day at Churchill downs. Very organized this year. Signs on Taylor boulevard navigated me to the Blue parking pot were my ticket was valid to park. There was plenty of parking still available as well as handicap. I was close to the entrance but still had a goal cart rode for free to the door. I went to a gala in the Trophy room on the 6th floor. The attendants are not very knowledgeable about navigating to the right places. But overall I jad a blast and Churchill downs gets better and better every year.
My Beautiful Fiance Trinia & I visited Lincoln's Childhood home on Labor Day. It was her first time experiencing it. We enjoyed it very much. And we even hiked the trail there as well.

This place is pretty neat! The museum is actually an old pub that was converted. This is the location where President Lincoln spent a lot of his childhood. The site offers a replica log cabin as well. There is a hiking trail that takes you around the property. It is located in a beautiful valley area. This site is free to visit. I wish the museum was a little bit bigger, but definitely still worth checking out.

A beautiful, modest-sized park that is seated in a deep valley and next to a rock-heavy creek. the park also includes a pretty intense trail up to an overlook. However, the view from up top isn't as impressive as anticipated due to bush/tree overgrowth. Would be awesome if Park Service could get up there and clean it up a bit and open the view. Nevertheless, my family thoroughly enjoys the park and it's never too busy.

Great little visitor center with a small gift store and some exhibits. You likely won’t need longer than half an hour there, unless you decide to hike the 1.5 mile (estimated) hiking trail around the main field

20231011 Albe is now Mary Todd and she is doing great in her new home. She gained some weight, is very talkative, and hasn't given birth yet.
20230911 I pulled into a parking lot and a sweet tuxedo kitten walked up to my car. This is very unusual. She was so thin. I gave her some of my dogs' Stella and Chewy freezer dried patties and some chicken jerky. She chowed down 1.5 patties and a piece of chicken jerky. Poor thing. Another lady from CA walked up and was thinking about taking her home but not sure how she would do it since they flew here. I was considering taking her home to VA with me if no one takes her. Then a pickup truck pulled up, and a nice lady said that she was coming back to see if the kitten is still here, and would take her back to NH with her. That's when she informed me that the kitten is pregnant. If she decides to keep the kittens, she has a barn on her property. The kitten found a new home, and her new name us Albe, named after Abraham Lincoln 🥰. That was the highlight of my visit! This historic site us pretty small. Not much to see but still interesting to stop by on the way to the national historical site. The restrooms were locked.

Very cool place with a lot of history. The buildings are very nice and the area is well kept. This is extremely easy to locate and there is plenty of parking. This was a cool little pit stop on the way back to ohio from Nashville. There are benches and bathrooms as well as a visitor center. We got there right when the visitor center was closing so we were not able to go inside. There were very few people there at 4pm.

Free admission to an interesting piece of history. While the site dispels the myth that Lincoln came from a dirt poor background, it is obvious that frontier life was both humble and challenging. It was truly amazing that he rose from these beginnings to the presidency.
The cabin on site is that of a boyhood friend and was confirmed to be period specific. The property sits on the old Cumberland Road (now a paved state highway that is a beautiful drive), and you can see the land the family worked.
Walk down to the creek where the Lincoln family got water. The rangers said it had been mostly dry for a couple of years, but it had running water when we visited. I presume the name is where Knob Creek bourbon derived its name.
The Visitor Center is housed in a Tavern built on the site in the early 20th Century which payed homage to Lincoln.

When Abe was two years old the family moved ten miles to the Knob Creek farm because of a land dispute at the Sinking Springs farm. He lived here until the age of eight years and when Abe's father lost the dispute over the land claim they moved to Indiana. His first memories were at the knob creek farm like walking over a mile to school with his older sister to a school he called a blab school because everything learned in books had to be recited due to a lack of writing instruments. He almost drown in knob creek but his friend for life Austin Gollaher pulled him to safety. The National Park Service people were very helpful and knowledgeable. The gift shop was nice also.

I enjoyed the self-guided tour of the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln. He started off with a 15 minute movie and then browsed through the historical displays at the visitor center before going to the memorial. Lots of history here that I didn’t know before and seeing it firsthand was great. All of this for free, what could be better?!

Very neat historical site! You can go up some stairs into a building that resembles the Lincoln Memorial. Inside of it you find a replica of the home Abraham Lincoln was born in. There are staff in there that speak about the history of his birth, etc. There is also a short hike and a nice visitors center. The visitors center has a small gift shop, some exhibits to learn about Abraham Lincoln’s family and the time he grew up, and even a movie viewing room where you can learn more. Definitely worth a stop if it’s near a path of travel!

What an experience! It was great learning about the man himself and seeing where he spent some of his childhood. He has such an incredible story and I love learning new things about him which this location offers. Free parking and access plus a friendly helpful staff. We came late morning and it was pretty empty but when we were leaving two bus loads of students pulled up. Glad their learning but also glad we were there before them.

This was a very neat historical place to visit. The building had a walk through exhibit with a couple hands on activities for the kids. Very informative about Abraham Lincoln, his ancestors and his childhood. Interesting items to see. Inside the memorial building is a replica of his log cabin he grew up in. There are some neat paths to walk and check out. Overall, I would recommend this as a stop if you have any interest in Lincoln, how people lived back then, or if you were looking to get a junior ranger badge.

No cost to enter! Self guided tour allows you to visit at your own pace. Don't miss the Spring at the bottom of the memorial from where Abraham Lincoln likely had his first drink of water.

Bathrooms by the visitor center are very clean.

20230911 The main area of this historic site is actually a lot smaller than I thought, I didn't explore the trails, which probably covered a large area of this property. I'm not sure if the Lincoln Inn is operational. The property is very well maintained. I didn't take the stairs down to the natural spring where Lincoln drank from. It's just about 10 or so stairs down and back up.

Abraham Lincoln's birthplace holds significant historical importance. Located in a small cabin near Hodgenville, Kentucky, it's a symbol of humble beginnings. The site is preserved as a National Historical Park and features a replica of the log cabin where Lincoln was born. People usually think about Illinois when thinking about Abraham Lincoln but he was actually born on a farm in Kentucky and his early days in this state were the foundation for the man he was to become. It is definitely worth the visit if traveling through or visiting central Kentucky. The visit does not take long and they have an excellent informational film in the visitor center. You might want to use your GPS for navigation. I lost cell phone signal well before I got there.
The Caesars Southern Indiana hotel has an indoor pool & a spa, as well as refined dining. There are live shows in the casino and a range of different games to play.
Excellent atmosphere, lots of game selection available, and the fanciest room I've ever stayed in! I unfortunately forgot to take pictures of the suite when we were there. If I get another opportunity to stay in one I will most definitely take pictures! It was absolutely gorgeous with a huge jacuzzi tub and stand up shower with multiple shower heads. This sweet even had four different sinks in it. I would highly recommend this casino and hotel!!

The casino is great. Wish it was easier to get a drink. The bars aren't always open and the lines can get quite long. The band that was there when I visited was great! Wish they had more old school machines to play but still a great place.

When arriving, it is a bit confusing to find the hotel lobby as the signage is a bit confusing. The lobby is also dated and doesn’t set the tone for the rooms, which appear remodeled and were nice. The facility’s exterior was a little rough and kind of run down looking, but the interior was fine. ONE THING that was a bit odd was that the WHOLE hotel smells like weed no matter where you go. Even our non-smoking room smelt pretty dank, which doesn’t really bother me, it was just surprising. The staff we encountered were all super friendly, the spa staff were especially awesome and the service was great.
We really enjoyed the food options from Gordon Ramsay Steak, to the food court in the casino, we really enjoyed everything. We did try to order in-room breakfast but it never arrived which was weird.
The room itself was comfortable and clean, it was equipped with a mini fridge and coffee maker which was helpful.
The casino had some TIGHT machines, we spent around $3,000 and played for like 3 hours total with conservative bets, they don’t give much.
I’ve read some reviews commenting on family friendliness, it is a casino at the end of the day so it’s not going to be a great spot for kids.
Things I wish were improved:
- Less weed smell
- A better maintained property
- A lobby that matched the vibe of the casino
- Elevators randomly went out
- Pool area bathrooms were dirty and corroded
Things that were awesome:
- The staff
- The casino design
- The food
- The drinks

We came here on my birthday. They give you nothing on your birthday. It was really smoky and the non smoking section is small. The game I wanted to play was only offered on the smoking side. There has a cafeteria style restaurant and it looked like about $20 a plate which seemed over priced for cafeteria food. I will not be coming back here. I recommend the Derby City Gaming Casino instead. They chicken place they have there is delicious and reasonably priced. The smoke isn’t overwhelming and they give you free game play for your birthday.

The last time i was there, it was still on the riverboat; so i was excited to see the new casino. The casino itself is very nice, the staff very friendly and helpful. I tried the new virtual blackjack and video roulette, didn't care for them to much; i like the interaction with the dealers. There wasn't many table games open, but i did get there at 9am so maybe that was why. They have raised the table minimum from $5 to $15, which i didn't care for. I will go back once more and see if my experience is any different. All in all a very nice place to go and have fun.

Absolutely horrible property!! Even worse management! Nothing is open, can’t get breakfast much less dinner after being at thurby all day. Management could care less. No breakfast being served today, asked for a muffin. Didn’t have my license. Had my cc with name and room key. Front desk said no! Wouldn’t help me!!! Save your money, stay at place that appreciates your business.
Smells like weed and cigarettes even on non smoking rooms. Rooms are paper thin. Can hear simple conversations. No signs for hotel lobby, which is a joke when you finally find it. No valet, bell service. Par course with this place, just a sign saying services are suspended. When you do finally figure where to go, 1 elevator is out of service. They don’t tell you that the food court is not operating just more signs, not in service. That is not good enough. Be transparent!! Our group had over 30 rooms booked. They lost this for next year. Wouldn’t subject anyone to this place.

Great casino if you want to lose money. I've been here multiple times to give this place a chance but the payback percentages are astronomically low. I've talked to other guests here and they've had the same experience. Bonuses are rare and when they hit, the bonus wins are unreasonably low. I've visited casinos from London to Vegas and several states and locations in between and this casino has by far the worst payout percentage that I've experienced. The games may look the same as other casinos but the payout percentage is not the same. I get that the house always wins, but that's a long-term metric, and this casino makes it a short, medium and long-term metric, so much so that it's not even an enjoyable gambling experience. There are no ups and downs here, just downs.
If I were you, I'd save yourself a drive. Set aside your gambling money and burn it on fire and then just play whatever game you wanted to play in one of those free slot machine apps. You'll still have your budget lit on fire, but at least you'll save a little gas money, which will give you an edge on visiting this casino. Would not recommend.

We stay here every year in the spring to visit the Louisville Zoo for the Wild Lights. It's close and the rooms are so much cheaper than anywhere in Louisville. They have the absolute best pool. It's huge, never crowded and well heated. The hot tub is also bigger than most. It's the highlight of our stay with 2 young children. There isn't much close by so you're kind of committed to the quick dining by the main check in desk unless you want to drive 20-30 minutes but the food is good and they have fresh fruit bowls and some healthy options. They also have room service which we only discovered last year. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is large and the towels are fluffy. We love staying here every year.

This review is based on our stay in the hotel, the casino was fine. We stayed for one night to celebrate my birthday and upon arriving in the hotel we at first didn’t notice the lack of cleanliness until we came back up from a long night of gambling. Once we realized how dirty the room was I was honestly shocked. I didn’t even sleep under the covers because I felt so uncomfortable. There are stains all over the borders of the bed they look like they’ve never been wiped off. There was a coat of dust over all the furniture, once again not wiped off. There were stains on the curtains, couch, and even the little table next to the chairs. The toilet was stained as well. I took pictures of everything and would post if I could. simply the room didn’t look like it had been properly clean and from a 4/5 star reviewed hotel I’m beyond disappointed with the lack of cleanliness. Also when checking out, they didn’t even ask how we enjoyed our stay, just rushed us away, we did mention there was dust on the furniture and all she offered was to call housekeeping and did in the middle of us talking. Also spent $30 on breakfast that was cold on arrival and tasted like hospital food. If you plan on staying for your birthday, I highly suggest looking elsewhere.

My husband and I had booked a stay for my birthday, had requested and received confirmation for a smoking room. Upon arrival we were told there were no smoking rooms available, and we would have to take a non smoking room. The lady at the desk was beyond unhelpful and never even so much as apologized for the inconvenience. When I was actually able to speak to her supervisor he was also no help.
Beyond those issues, the room we were given, wasn't cleaned well. There was lunch meat from previous guests still in the mini fridge when we opened it.
And my advice is, if you want to take a shower or bath, turn the water on at least 30 minutes beforehand or you'll be taking a freezing shower. Hot water is pretty much nonexistent.
Overall, not worth the money. The Caesars in Vegas is the gold standard, this is the bottom of the barrel. Unless I hear back from management its unlikely I ever return, when there are other casinos in the area.

Our room was clean and ready for us when we got there, the thermostat was set on 65, so it was freezing in there. Great water pressure and temperature, the curtains kept the room nice and dark. The casino was very busy, but it was a Friday night. There didn't seem to be a ton of bars open and the lines were long. The cups you get your mixed drink in have a sharp edge, so grab a straw.

Used to be one of my favorite places to just relax with a cigar, play some blackjack, and have a good time. Sadly a lot of the charm went away when they got rid of the boat, they also went from smoking on 3 out of 4 floors to a small section with only slots, no smoking at any tables. Don’t really see a reason to come here anymore. Band was good, but it was also relatively dead on a Saturday night.

This rating was tough. It's an overall rating but I will explain the parts that brought it down.
The layout of this place is very confusing. Even the ins/outs of parking is nuts. The hotel and casino are far apart so expect long walks.
Good parts was the casino and casino staff. The check in was easy (once I found it)
Now the downfall......security. honestly if I could give them a rating by themselves it would be an absolute 0.
I have an oversized vehicle and called 8 hours in advance to find parking. The main person answering the phone is going by a script and doesn't listen. Took my 5 phone calls and eventually I ended up with security who I thought would be able to help. I was assured there would be a spot to park and they instructed me to call when I was a few moments off and someone would direct me in late at night.
When I arrived I called security and they were confused on where I was even at (don't they have cameras). When they finally found me they sent some 19 year old kid out who didn't even know where the casino or venue even was. I eventually got parked at 1:30 a.m.
Now this last part is for whoever runs security. Taking peoples driver's license to gain access to come in and out of venue is not appropriate. However, I reluctantly gave security my passport which they freaked out over because I refused to give up my driver's license. Note: a passport is an ID. my driver's license is for when I am driving. Learn the difference.
The worst part is when we were done and I went to retain my passport. Security had lost it. You have no filing system to match the number on my badge you gave me to my name.......absolute failure on all sides of security.

Most unexpectedly filthy hotel room I've been in in years. I expected so much more. The casino was fun but used to feel more exciting and the staff seemed to be a big part of the overall appeal in the past, livening up the atmosphere and energetic but I barely had eye contact with anyone. Definitely not the same vibe as it used to have.
Amelia Seidl — Google review
The room was not that great for nearly $300 for a night so we left and went back home to sleep in our own beds. My husband ate the pot roast for almost $30 a plate and the staff was rude. The casino it’s self is not fun like it use to be considering it is now all on one floor. The dealers were rude and the overall atmosphere was not pleasant. We wanted a fun night out but was so disappointed we decided to go back home. If I wanted to play slot machines we could have done it much closer to our home!

Amazing staff, very friendly dealers, rooms are always clean and the beds are so comfortable. The only complaint is that the room only comes with 3 pillows. At check-in, just ask for extra pillows to be sent up to your room. Please be sure to tip you hospitality staff for bring up your pillows.
My wife and I stay here 20+ nights a year, and it never disappoints.

I stayed for 2 nights during the 2024 solar eclipse because everything in the path of totality was way overpriced. Caesars was nicely priced and I ordered a room on a non smoking floor. The room smelled of cigarettes and the smell kept coming through the vents. The restaurants on site were way overpriced and a very long walk from the hotel (in the casino on the opposite side of the property). There isn’t another restaurant within 10 miles of the property so bring food with you if you don’t want to eat in the smokey casino or get room service.

I love hanging out here. The pool area is amazing. The food is amazing. The games are amazing. The rooms are top notch. If I've ever had an issue they fix it. They have always been good to me.

We have been here many time. Always one of our favorite casinos. This time we brought our adult kids and 1 year old granddaughter. We fully expected to take turns going to the casino because that is no place for a baby. However, we did not expect to not have food offered to her on the property, except for breakfast. If we must leave to feed her, we will do other things while visiting. We are diamond elite and diamond. We agree that children don't belong in the casino, just don't understand why there are not options are not here. Very sad. Ceasers definitely lost money on this one.

Am staying here. Really nice rooms other than I really like hot water for showers; was not hot enough for me. Parking great in parking garage; no walking in the snow. Food excellent and plentiful. Have had breakfast, lunch and dinner. WARNING: if you get the nachos in the restaurant on the gaming floor, make sure there will be several eating them. They are awesome but enough for several people. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

I one time didn't have the best experience here one time but that was only once out of several visits. After some time & some learning with a different perspective & realize more or the ins & outs of the business & I will say overall the company/ casino is courteous & professional & I have almost always had a pleasant experience when there! I appreciate the employees & the management!
It's a great place for some entertainment & worth checking out!

Front desk staff was not helpful. There was a glitch in our reservation due to a legal name change snd they could not figure out what to do. All documentation was presented and still they couldn't figure out what to do. Casino staff was AWESOME! They saw the situation and rectified it in moments. Didn't hesitate to be friendly and helpful. Hotel staff management needs to be trained better. Reservation was for non smoking room, they put us in a smoking room. Room wasn't particularly clean with cigarette ashes on the floor in the bathroom.

Contemporary museum featuring collections of old automobiles built from the 1900s to the 1960s.
had a day to kill and stopped in this afternoon. it was smaller than I had expected, we got through in about 45 min. well worth the visit. a good collection of beautiful cars. guy at the desk was friendly.
not much to do in this area, this was worth the visit

The owners here are the best! My husband and I stopped to look at the car collection, and we were not disappointed! The cars are pristine and such beauties each with their own personality. I highly recommend stopping. You'll be glad you did.

Beyond beautiful collection of cars. Being from Detroit and seeing all the packards makes me wish I was alive back in the days to see the city in it's prime. So many all original cars in this collection. If you're looking for beefed up muscle cars he has a few but if you're looking for some classic cars that are beyond beautiful this is the place. And it's free too. Highly recommend stepping back in time and take the time to see how far cars have come. Unreal !!!

We were unsure whether we had time to stop during our road trip. The free admission actually had us worried the 25 minute detour was not going to be warranted. However... this place was amazing. There are a lot more vehicles than expected and all are beautifully kept. The folks working the museum shared personal stories about each car, answered questions and even opened up the cars to show us more features. This stop is well worth it! They even have restrooms available. We spent just over an hour there before returning to our road trip.
Bravo to these fine folks for sharing this collection with the community.

Quick and easy stop in Elizabethtown if you want to explore some historic automobiles from 1910 to the late 60’s and beyond. Quite the collection, free of charge, make sure you sign the guest book when you visit. I was ordered by my cousin to give this review 4.8 stars, because he saw no Lincolns, all joking aside, great collection with some awesome history.

Lots of beautiful cars and it's free! The woman there knew everything about each car. Very knowledgeable, and offered to give us a guided tour but we turned her down because she had just started her lunch. After she finished she gave us all her attention. Could have spent a lot longer there, but had other plans. We will stop back.

On a family road trip and we stopped by. It was great! You have cars from the early 1900's through the 60s. There's a lot of information on each of the cars and you can even request a tour. My 11 & 6 year olds really enjoyed it, and it's free. Doesn't get any better than that. Definitely recommend stopping by.

SO GOOD! This is a definite must see even if you're not a car person it's free so why not stop in you will not be disappointed and afterwards you may be a car person. I don't consider myself a car person but I have an appreciation for nostalgic things and this car collection is amazing. It has some things in there that you don't typically see. I really appreciate the family keeping this going since Bill has passed away.
Military museum devoted to the famous general, featuring tanks, weapons, memorabilia & more.
First off, trust the directions on Google Maps! I was looking for signs, coming down from Louisville and you won't see any when you get up on the Museum. We got turned around and there's not much coming from the south either. When you come from the north (Louisville), look for the coned-off highway turn lane in the median. Yes, you're turning into a fenced-in area with scary warning signs. But, if Google Maps says you're there, you are likely there - it's right next to the highway inside that section.
Parking is a bit of a walk from the building. There are a small handful of tanks out front and a much larger collection of concrete pads that probably held some really cool 'toys' in previous years.
The museum is way bigger than it looks. Even if you're not a history or military person (I mean, I didn't really know much about Patton), do yourself a favor and allot for roughly 2 hours there. Give yourself time to read the plaques, panels, and so forth. There's a lot to learn and digest.
I'm not sure if a 'map' exists of the interior, didn't think to ask at the front desk, but make sure you take it all in. Uniforms, photographs, memorabilia, vehicles, weapons, video displays. Tons of stuff here. Hit every corner and display. There's even stuff unrelated to Patton that incorporates nicely (Vietnam, Korea, 9/11, etc.). Gift shop has some neat things in it, as well.

Great museum and hard to believe there is no entrance fee! We came here on a journey between Mammoth Cave and Louisville and weren’t disappointed, some awesome displays and artefacts not just about General Patton but other inspiring American leaders. Worth the trip! And right next to Fort Knox if you want to tick that off your list too
Alex Ainsworth — Google review
Great experience. There is a lot of amazing memorabilia here. Pattons leadership philosophies, his ability to use history to win on the modern day battlefield are unmatched. The museum also has articles used by George C. Scott in the "Patton" movie. Seeing the Vietnam displays and the fire truck from the Pentagon on 9/11 was also very interesting. I spent 4.5 hours here and still felt like I did not see everything. Definitely going back next trip to Ft. Knox.

Fabulous museum with a bit from every conflict. The car and Huey were neat. Pretty easy to maneuver around it in a wheelchair. I'm happy you don't have to go on Fort Knox proper to see it. Pretty well laid out. Good gift shop.

A great spot for history. Its free and a quick spot to stop with easy in and out access. They have a nice little gift shop with Fort Knox, Army and Patton souvenirs. I think it is worth a quick stop if in the area.

One of the best museums I have ever seen. This museum is so much more than General Patton. The story can be told in the cleanliness and expertly laid out education that you wouldn't expect.

Some more recent armor/tanks would be a welcome addition.

Excellent presentation of general Patton's life. Great war memorial with lots of WWI and WWII memorabilia, artifacts and equipment. Worth a visit. Could take an hour to 2 depending on how much of each fascinating display you read.
John W (Travelin.Johnny) — Google review
Nice museum. It’s a little bit of everything with Patton cropping up throughout. All the displays are very nice, but there are renovations going on so it’s a work in progress.
I was impressed that they had the car from the accident that killed him.
Family-geared zoo attraction featuring Australian animals such as kangaroos, plus cave tours.
We had a group of 11, made reservations online for a golf cart and believe me with the steep hills and wonderfully spaced out exhibit areas it's a must. We went to celebrate my Granddaughter’s 10th birthday and Mother's Day. The ages in our group ranged from 10-63, a very diverse group and the 15 yr old loved it as did the late teens early 20s did. The adults as well it was a fun experience for all of us.
All the staff was friendly and patient with all the questions asked. Everything to me was fairly priced.
The gift shop was nicely equipped, the fudge is wonderful. The cave your was short but very interesting. There is a staircase and Steep 44 steps coming back up. If you have knee problems you might want to rethink going but that's up to you. The price of the cave is included in your ticket. Go if you can you won't be sorry. The pricing is great.

Very clean, well kept. Lots of hills so the golf carts are a huge necessity. All staff are friendly. The cave tour guide is funny and makes it enjoyable. My family and myself had a great time. Getting to interact with the Kangaroos was amazing. The birds were very pretty. It was fun inside the bird cage.

We've been twice now, and my family loves it. We rented a golf cart this time because it was an extremely hot day, but it can be walked easily. The mammoth onyx cave inside the park was really cool and is free to go inside after you've paid to get into the park itself. Highly recommend.
Terra Roberts — Google review
I have mixed reviews about this place. There really aren't too many animals for the pricing of this place which is why I rated it 4 stars and not 5. Also, I felt like I had no choice but to rent a golf cart with the layout of the zoo and how hilly the paths were just to get to the first animal, especially with 3 younger children. They loved the golf cart and it was amazing to use as refuge from the rain and easier to get to each place. So the pricing seemed over the top including a golf cart.
However, the cave tour that is included was a really neat one. We actually almost enjoyed it more than mammoth cave. So that was worth it and personally to me, petting the kangaroos and emus was worth it as well. The feed was a little pricey but once again, if you have ever wanted a close up encounter with kangaroos and emus then this part alone was worth it. They also have animal shows that we did not get to enjoy due to the rain that possibly would have also made it worth it. The little gift shop also has delicious fudge that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Overall, if you're OK with spending the extra money for a few cool encounters then I highly recommend this place. If you're looking for a full zoo experience of many animals this wouldn't be the place.

Oh my goodness! My family had so much fun here while vacationing in Cave City, KY. We were able to take a quick cave tour with a very entertaining tour guide. We got to see and interact with many exotic animals. And, they had two great gifts shops. Our favorite two activities were the sheep herding and feeding the kangaroos. The gal with the sheep was so knowledgeable about the sheep and dogs and was so impressive to watch. The kangaroos were so friendly and SOFT!!! I could have stayed in with them all day. This was the most fun interaction with animals I have ever had! There are no time limits once you are inside the park so you can take your time to explore the park. They even have golf cart rentals for families who would like to visit the park in extreme comfort or for those who aren't able to get around the large park by walking. This place is fantastic. I highly recommend a visit here for people of all ages!

We live about 4 hours away from Kentucky Down Under and it was a perfect day trip. Absolutely worth while and memorable! Feeding and petting the kangaroos was a wonderful experience for myself and my kids. The Land of Lorries was also so fun, with bird flying all around and landing wherever they want- include on top of heads. The cave tour was short, but beautiful. Gift shop had a great selection! Also loved all of the amazing wood carvings throughout the entire park! Overall wonderful place for kids and adults alike!

We highly enjoyed interacting with the various animals and exploring the Mammoth Onyx Cave. Our tour guide within the cave did a great job of explaining the history and making us laugh. Definitely recommend renting a golf cart if you come on a hot day or are with small children. There is an incline after the main entrance, and we were glad that we rented one!

Admission was $28.54. There is a small cave tour. They have dingos, wolves, a feeding area for donkeys, and goats. There is a gated area where you can enter and walk among emus, tortoises, and kangaroos. Just do not get too close to the barn with the do not enter signs. The employees will make an example out of you. Anyhoo, I had a lot of fun. I got to pet a kangaroo!
Carl Fansler — Google review
This was one very fun trip with our kids, we felt instead of watching animals behind enclosure, it’s fun to pet them and especially feeding Kangaroos, Feeding birds, feeding goats, sheep’s. Kids were thrilled and loved that experience. Also the Onyx cave is good, but the way they are not keeping the cave very well but the feeding and petting animals was worth. It’s not budget friendly - charge for entrance, high priced food, shopping as usual and golf carts rental is kind of needed to avoid walk but prebook you plan to take one. Overall it’s good to visit.
Kiran Jd — Google review
Love going to this place, it’s a bit pricey, but worth it because you get up and close with the animals and it’s never as crowded as the zoo. The animals are fun and friendly (the ones they let you interact with). Being able to feed kangaroos is such a cool experience, getting to be up close and pet a giant horse was also great since us city folk don’t get to do that often 🤪

My 11 year old daughter and I spent an afternoon here. We were there from 1:15-5, which was plenty of time to do every without rushing. However we could have easily spent the entire day 9-5 going to each exhibit repeatedly. The staff were incredibly friendly and engaging. They were patient and would answer every question with a smile on their faces! The animals are very friendly, you could tell that much love and kindness are given to them by the staff. The bathrooms were clean, the cafe was reasonably priced and tasty, and the gift shop was not overwhelming! Lastly, we absolutely loved being able to rent a golf cart to drive the beautiful grounds! We will definitely return bringing family and friends!

As a truck driver, this was a very convenient place to visit, being across the street from Loves. They do offer a discount for CDL holders. Most of the employees were relatively friendly. however, the young girls at the front desk were quite rude and clearly didn't want to be there. My dog enjoyed getting out of the truck and doing something fun. Overall, the park was nice and well kept. The animals were great, except I had an issue with one of the bird enclosures. They were flying into the walls, clearly trying to escape. That was kind of a downer. Regardless, we enjoyed our trip and enjoyed a cave tour on the way out. You don't need a golf car unless you're really that lazy. Would definitely recommend it as a good afternoon activity.

Beautiful little zoo. My kiddo enjoyed every minute inside. Clean & Well maintained. Restrooms conveniently located. Golf carts help to go around. Cave is marvelous. We can feed kangaroos, goat and many more. Shows are very interesting. Your trip will be well worth every penny and you will not be disappointed. Only suggestion I have is to have parking paved.

Nice place to visit. The cave tour was nice without a lot of narrative. Lasted approximately 35 minutes. The animals in the zoo were well kept. Wolves and foxes were active despite being hot. Birds were on full display. Kangaroos and emus were easily approached and we enjoyed the albino roos a lot. Great place to bring the little ones!

The zoo was nice to see and the peering zoo was fun for the family. Kangaroos were gentle and interactive. Little pricey for a cart rental but makes it way easier to get around area. Cave was nice but obvious signs of decay.

Went here while in the area visiting Mammoth Cave National Park. We were originally drawn in by the offer to pet kangaroos but also saw they had a cave tour. Long story short, this place did not disappoint! We walked the grounds to see all of the cool animals (there were a lot) and also got some hands on time with attractions to feed the birds, emus, kangaroos, goats, cows, donkeys, and wallabees! Super kid friendly and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. After touring the grounds, we went on the cave tour on the property and learned a lot. When we originally toured this cave, it was our first of 5-6 while in the area and would land middle of the pack for cool caves in my opinion. I am not sure if the cave tour was included in the original entrance fee but was still pretty cool. Make sure to ask about the “Cave Wars” in the area!

Pretty fun little place to stop, especially if you have kids. Lots of Kangaroos to pet. Be sure to bring cash so you can purchase animal food to feed them
It's not a large area to walk around if you're average fit, but you may want to rent one of the golf carts if you have children or elderly with you.

Not worth the $100 it cost for 2 adults and gold cart rental.
Hardly any animals out, no birds it should be closed during the colder months. Only takes about an hour to complete minus any "shows" or the cave tour which took 20 minutes
Go to the Safari park in Alamo TN well worth the drive and you pay by the car load. You drive through the park took us 2 hours and we were quick about it. You feed all the animals from your car they will come and stick their heads 8n the vehicle. It's on a open field. Definitely going back so many laughs and memories.

Was very worried when we pulled in and saw empty school busses but even though the place wasn't that big we weren't ever crowded. We didn't get to visit the caves because our toddler was getting fussy but we loved feeding the kangaroos and birds. We also fed the horses and goats. I felt the feed prices were reasonable and affordable. We didn't eat at the Cafe but used their conveniently located restrooms. We also enjoyed the animal show and got to hold the turtle. We rented a golf cart and am so glad we did. Will revisit again for sure.

We had the best time here with our 3 kids. The kangaroos, wallabies, and emus were so friendly (and you definitely get an up close experience). Feeding the Lorikeets was a great time as well; they’re gorgeous birds!
Definitely don’t miss the cave tour. The guide was awesome and informative, and it is by far the coolest cave we’ve been in so far!
We did miss seeing a few birds that weren’t in their exhibits, but understand it may not be the best time of year for them, so we will see them when we return- which we definitely will be doing.

The family and I had a fabulous time visiting KY Down Under. We had agreat interactions with Kangaroos and Birds of all types. The staff was friendly and helpful. We rented a 6 seater golf cart to get around the property, which was a life saver with the Mother in Law. The Kangaroos fur is incredibly soft. Thisnplace is so unique to the Southwest United States. It was not a massive place by any means, but we had fun with all the animal encounters. We missed the cave tour this time because our 3 year old doesn't love them.

I had the best day ever it was a little pricey for a small zoo but it was worth it I didn't get to see the horses but at least I had a blast I saw a cave and they have kangaroos & you get to feed them and the goats and birds. I don't know when I will be back but when I do I will have a lot more money to spend. Also tell Nemo the kangaroo 🦘 thanks for smiles I really needed them today. I know I got dirty but it was worth it. And I save a snake from being run over.

Been to many caves and caverns, Squire Boone is by far the most interesting, unique one I have been to. The fact that there is an active river with waterfalls is awesome. It gives you a very unique perspective as to how the caves were formed, not to mention beautiful. Our guide (can't remember her name) was very informative. Excellent tour!

We stopped here on our way to completing the Indiana Cave Trail. It was a Thursday, so not busy at all, which was good in some ways, but the soap making and sweet shop were closed. We were a little bummed about that.
Our tour guide was really nice and knowledgeable, unfortunately we couldn't hear more than half of what she said during our 1 hour tour because some folks thought it was a good idea to bring two kids under two years old on the tour. They fussed and cried pretty much the whole time. I do not recommend bringing children under 3 years old on any cave tours, once you're in, there's no way out until the tour is over. Not good for little ones.
I did manage to get some great photos in the cave and the highlight for us was seeing the final resting place of Squire Boone and hearing the history behind that. Very neat!
My kids loved feeding the goats and pigs on the property. The lady who runs the candle dipping could have been a bit friendlier, she got a little short with my kids when they weren't following her (not very clear) instructions.
Everyone else who worked there was very nice though! The gem mining was fun and they found some gems they hadn't seen before.

Awesome cavern site with family and kid-friendly things to do and see. Lots of parking. Great staff and customer service. We did the tour with maybe 12 people total and it was the perfect amount of people to easily move along and see everything without feeling rushed. The on-site restaurant is pretty good. The water mill is really cool. The rock shop and candle shop and fun to see, too.

WHAT’S GOOD?
1. The reason this is one of the best cave tours around is because it is a variety of cave experiences packaged up in one convenient tour. This cave is wet and dry. It has wide open spaces and narrow passages. It has muted colors and a rainbow of lights. It has still ponds and racing waterfalls. The different sights packed into this 45 minute tour is a “mammoth-size” value!
2. Our guide, Rissa, was fantastic! You can tell she loves this cave and is so enthusiastic. She definitely enhanced the tour.
3. Other staff on sight was very friendly on our visit.
4. This property is a beautiful, well maintained campus featuring a number of other shops making this much more than a cave tour. It truly is a destination.
5. For those in need, the property features a large, shady picnic area.
——
CAUTIONS:
1. Cave tour does require a lot of steps. Should not be an issue for most.
2. Picnic area needs a large playground for the kiddos.

Absolutely gorgeous cave! Everyone was very friendly. We visited on the off season and they only do tours four times a day. We missed the noon tour by a couple of minutes as well as another family and the next tour wouldn’t be until 2 pm. The people added a 12:30 pm tour for us! Our guide Malechi was awesome! Very informative and kept it interesting. Definitely recommend a visit! Hope to get back here another time.

Every time I try a new cave experience in the area I think there is no way it can be as good as or better than the one before but they are all so good. Squire Boone Caverns was so much fun and there is so much to do. Everyone was incredibly nice too. There is a rock hut with all kinds of cool stuff, a candle shack where you can make your own candles, a spot to get good food (the pulled pork was excellent), a zip line, animals to feed, and of course the cave tour. The food was pricy as most tourist places are but was really good. The cave is simply amazing and a must see destination. If I do have criticism, it's that the tour leader needs a microphone and speaker. The cave has actively flowing water and he spoke so low I only heard about 50% of what he said for the whole tour. Thankfully I'm very familiar with caves and the beauty of this one kind of speaks for itself. Great experience though and one I would highly recommend

This place is a childhood relic that actually got BETTER! The cave tour is about 45 min, not too long. It's gorgeous and the lighting is awesome now. Our tour guide knew her stuff (Carissa/Karissa), and was amazing with the kiddos. They have a place to eat now! There is a soap making shop, a candle shop where you can make your own, a rock shop where you can pan your own bag with garunteed precious stones, and a kick butt gift shop with really reasonable items. We had a blast and I can't wait to go back!

Best cave tour ever. We stopped on our way down to mamouth caves. Mamouth caves were awesome, but our whole family agreed this was the best cave tour we went to all week. This cave tour was only a small group and the tour guide, way better than the huge tour groups at mamouth. There were tons of formations, and the river was cool to see up close. I would 100% recommend to stop here and check it out.

Best cave experience ever. Reasonably priced and awesome gift shop. This has to be one of the most beautiful and jaw dropping caves in the world. The tour guide was very entertaining while telling us the history behind the cave.

A stunning experience, with kind and helpful staff. The rock shop has great fun things at a good price, same with the candle shop. The restaurant was a little expensive but tbh it was worth it cause everything tasted amazing. The cave of course has the coolest history with beautiful views and the best running water exhibits I've seen in a cave. However from the back everything was a but quiet because of how loud the water was so if you're hard of hearing I suggest going to the front. Or a speaker on the guide would be beneficial- either way the cave connected to the mill which was unique to see so overall 11/10 for Squire Boone.

Great place to take the family. Besides the cave tour they have candle making, you cam sift for gems, feed and pet animals and a few other things.

Cool spot for a day trip. It’s setup like a little village so you have more activities than just the cave tour. The cave starts out about 30 feet below surface and deepest part is 90 feet. The tour is about an hour ish. The initial decent is a spiral staircase as well as the staircase going back up which is about 70 stairs. The formations are beautiful, saw white crawfish and even one bat which apparently is super rare. The waterfalls inside the cave are unique to the area. It was a timed entry tour. A little pricey imo, we’ve been to Carlsbad Caverns and Mammoth so I would think it would be cheaper. A $7 add on to ticket let’s kids mine for gems and fossils and feed the animals. Nice way to spend time if you’re waiting for the cave tour. Lots of picnic tables. Restaurant on site. Grist mill was a short walk and educational for the kids. Of all the caves we’ve been to we did appreciate the different color lights.

Beautiful cavern that is well maintained and cared for. The staff are friendly and informative. Guide (Iggy) did a great job in explaining the history of the grounds and the different rock formations. This cavern is a great place to take the family for a weekend trip.

Amazing place! The cave formations are really stunning, and the whole place is postcard lovely, with the creek and the beautiful Eastern Redbud trees. Also, the gift shop is full of cute affordable souvenirs to remember your trip. Highly recommended! 👍

Beautiful cave! My family loves visiting all the local caves and this one definitely didn't disappoint! Lots to see and the waterfalls made it that much better. Walking over one of them on the path was really neat as well! Our guide Coroline did a great job explaining everything and showed us the cave carawfish that she found swimming in the water.

Quite far out but worth the experience. Be prepared to walk. The tour is about 1hr total. There are slick stairs descending. And 72 stairs ascending. Very beautiful cavern and grounds. Cost $24 for adults, kids$14 or free if 4 and younger.

This is the best cave tour I've been on in Indiana. We were the only ones in our group, which was actually nice. Our guide, Izzy, was very informative and friendly. We also fed the animals and mined for gemstones. Both were fun little add ons. I would recommend this cave if you are in the area!
We had a blast coming to the Squire Boone Caverns Zipline Adventures. Definitely would recommend spending a little more and booking the Long Course Tour. We went through 8 zip lines with 2 of them being long distance over a meadow and stream. It was beautiful and very memorable!
Frank, Ben, and Colin made this experience worth while. We had a lot of laughs with this personable group, all while ensuring our safety. Would make a great family trip!

My husband and I had a great time at Squire Boone Caverns Zipline! The course was a great length of time and lots of fun. All of our guides were very friendly (Frank, Collin, & Ben) and clearly knew what they were doing, so I felt at ease.

I took my dad and sister ziplining at Squire Boone's for their first time. They were a bit nervous, but quickly got over it. Our guides, Eli and Brody, were friendly and fun. It was a great way to make some family memories.
Also,I recommend purchasing tickets for the Long Course because that's the only way you can experience the last 2 zips and they were the best

We had such a blast this weekend ziplining with the guys! They were professional, friendly, and made sure everyone in our group felt safe while having fun!
Heads up: there's a bit of a walk up the hill to get to your first zip, so keep this in mind if it's rained recently and wear decent shoes for walking.

What an incredible thrill! The new longer ziplines at Squire Boone Zipline are amazing!! I felt like I was flying!
Our expert guides, Doug and Ethan, were focused on safety and made sure that we were well apprised of the basics before we started. At every station we were clipped to the surrounding structure while waiting our turn and I felt very secure traveling on the lines. I was pleased to learn that not only was the facility inspected/certified, the instructors were too. (Unfortunately, inspection and/or certification is not a requirement in Indiana).
I took my daughter and our German exchange students and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I am so glad we made the trip from Indy to do this!!! Would highly recommend!
This place holds oh so many memories! Old and now new! We stopped in for a "redo" of a photo from 12 years earlier. This is an epic place for kids and adults that love dinosaurs. They're not interactive.. so, the younger crowd tends to appreciate them more. We had fun sharing our memories and making new ones! If you're in the mammoth cave area, most definitely recommend!! 💚

We took the grandbabies and they absolutely loved it. Price was reasonable. Nice outside area for the kids to see lifelike replicas of dinosaurs and learn about them. Most of it has a concrete sidewalk to walk on. There's a dinosaur themed playground for the kids to run around in with slides as well as a covered area with picnic tables to sit at. There is a fossil dig area and water way to do a gem station which both cost extra. There is a little museum to see fossils too that is free to go visit.
stephaine eells — Google review
The kids loved dinosaur world. It was a nice walk through a dinosaur scene. There was also a fossil dig( though I wish the kids could have picked more than three because they were small) they did the gem excavation which was awesome and they got a lot from that. The dino museum was informative for the kids, they had a small gold course, and the playground was a great place for the kids to play when it was all done. They also had plenty of picnic tables. The store has some pretty awesome stuff too.
Ramshackle Farm — Google review
We took our 3- year old dinosaur- loving grandson. The exhibits are dated, and the museum displays were blah, with many displays as replications. We felt the tickets were overpriced, paying around $45 for the 3 of us to get in. There are lots of large dinosaurs on display on a trail. Most of the trail is paved, but it is up and down hills. May be challenging for someone with mobility issues. There are benches along the path. He really enjoyed the play area.
Eric Ericsson — Google review
Upon arrival I was thinking it was all inside a small building. The gift shop is the first part where you purchase to enter the trail. Definitely wasn't expecting that amount of walking. That was the great part about it. The trail is about a mile and a half or two. The worse part the 🦕 🦕 🦕 doesn't move or make sounds. There are places to rest throughout the trail. And I'm pretty sure there's cameras in the eyes of some dinosaurs 🦕, so keep those kids off the dinosaurs as they ask. If it had a little more animation this place would be a 5/5 for me.
Shawn Gotti on Facebook — Google review
Fun place to take kids. This was our 1st time here. The staff was nice but non informative in the least. We walked the trail, and my 11 month old grandson loved seeing the dinosaurs. 3/4 of the way through the trail, there were workers blocking the way and wouldn't move. It seemed weird to us. The small museum was fun., and the gift shop was full of fun things.

Spent 2.5hrs here with an 8 and 12 yr old! I didn't expect to spend so much time here. It was fun taking silly photos, digging in the sand to reveal bones, playing the really miniature golf (included in entry fee)... Lots to do. Worth the trip. And money.
There are picnic tables to lunch at. Fresh popcorn at the store... Video playing about dinosaurs, another Fossil dig area that had timed entry. You can also sift thru your bought bag of rocks. The museum is a little lack luster, but does have an animatronic dino! (It's at the beginning, does roar pretty loud).
Sara Canary — Google review
Awesome place to stop for an hr or two on our yearly road trip Chicago to Atlanta. The kids can run around outdoors and get some excersize on the playground. The gift shop is not super overpriced like many tourist places. The dinosaurs are life sized and tucked into the woods, kids LOVE it!
Cyd Runion — Google review
It's pretty cool... especially when you have 5 kids and 3 of which are dinosaur crazy. Most of the information signs need redone although they are readable for the most part. Had a great time and will most likely be back when passing through the area

Saw this the last time I drove through and planned a stop this trip. It was a great roadside stop. Great way to stretch your legs. The trail and dinosaurs were well maintained. The indoor museum exhibit was also a nice break from the heat. Only negative was the price. 20$ per adult seems a little high for a static attraction. The staff was rude and unfriendly.
Michael — Google review
We enjoyed the grounds. It was a nice walk, not strenuous. Great dinosaur variety and information. The playground was fun, not too big to get lost in. The gift shop had a variety, something for everyone that had reasonable prices. My husband and 14 year old went through the museum, but I skipped it. They said the 6 year old probably wouldn't enjoy it. We did gem mining, which got them a nice variety of gems. They even provided a zip bag to store them in.
Mandy Milan — Google review
Not bad. Unique experience where you can spend a lot of time. Prices on fossils and crystals are a little higher than most other places we visited in the area. Really fun for kids. Not sure if the place warrants a second visit if you spend more than a couple hours there and return with same group. Glad we had the experience and would recommend doing at least once if staying in the area. We went during the area dollar days, so there was a entrance discount that helped.
Jeff Brown — Google review
I give 2 stars because my total was 78 dollars I told them I wouldn't need a receipt but when I checked my bank statement they charged me over 100 dollars. Some of the things I paid for was not available. It was fun but over priced and I feel as of I was scammed because the price they charged was not the price I saw on the register after taxes.
April Huff — Google review
As I told a few employees there last week, what an incredible two-hour+ experience walking to every single setting, including the billboard, movie, museum and gift shop...and we're both in our mid-60's or so!

If you're kid loves dinosaurs then this is a place yo check out. We found it to be a little high priced for what it entailed but we were also pleasantly surprised that there was more than just Dinosaur statues. The little nature trail that had the dinosaurs all along it was neat and the kids enjoyed seeing all the different dinosaurs. There was a little playground for kids under 12 to play in. There were these mini golf platforms that entertained the kids for a few minutes but was nothing like a normal mini golf place. There's a little musuem that's just a couple hallways of little windows showing different Dinosaur bones. There was a hut like place that played a Dinosaur video of what seemed like something you'd see on the discovery Channel. Overrall my kids enjoyed it but personally we could've went without going since our kifs are out of the Dinosaur stage.

Only came for the rock and fossil shopping. Prices were average. I would have liked to see more authentic affordable fossils. The larger, higher-grade fossils were beautiful specimens though. There were a lot of casts and replicas. Be sure to read display cards carefully.

I’ll start by saying make sure you tell them how old your kids are because they tried charging me for my 2 year old without asking how old he was. It’s a very short trail so I don’t feel it should be so expensive but it was cute. The older lady was very rude. They don’t tell you that certain areas require tickets so when my toddler trying going to the fossil digging area she told me “this requires a ticket and this session is over” if you are passing by and stop it’s worth it but not something I would make a trip to see or come back for.
Wonderful weekend or day trip. We went kayaking and returned the next day to go horse back riding. Staff deserves to be tips for the hard work and making your visit full service. Your day will be enjoyable for everyone. The property is very clean and animals are loved.

We loved the one hour horse ride! Our guide, Justin, was fantastic. His helper, Ella (I think), was super sweet and had the kids comfortable and well instructed before we headed out. We went with kids almost 6 yr old, 7 yrs and 11 yrs.
This was the closest to real ridding I’ve ever experienced on a trail ride. The trails weren’t manicured, there were steep ups and downs, and you needed to actually guide about 1/2 the horses.
It was hot! But the trail was all in the woods so that made it bearable for us and the horses.
If you can, wear tick/bug spray, and bring cash to tip your guide. 😀

This was our second to last adventure before heading back to Michigan. We did the ziplining and horseback riding. Staff was incredible and will explain everything step by step to ensure you’re comfortable and safe. I would advise parents to be cautious of letting the little ones ride alone on the trails though as they are very tight in some areas and the horses like running downhill. Very nice horses though. We had a blast, thank you.

We had so much fun. Our guides were very nice and great. I believe our guides names were Justin & Grace. I can be wrong. But either way it was a lot of fun.
We did have to wait about 30 minutes for them to set up the gear.
They had dogs exploring out front and they were very nice and friendly.

Wonderful people, sweet horses, and multiple trails to take through the woods. It was so much fun we went twice!
The kayaking was also a blast! I wish they could have some updated vehicles, but for transporting wet customers they work! Highly recommend all of their services!

Made a last minute decision to go riding here , it was awesome I can’t remember everyone’s name but I believe two of the guides were Ella and Brandon ? And another gal with cool purple hair !, I rode on Pixie and my friend rode on Misty , the trail was adventurous compared to most other trail rides I’ve been on and the horses were great , they had some spunk to them for sure and weren’t just zombie horses that went on autopilot ( definitely be honest with the guides about how much horse riding experience you have so they can match you with an appropriate level horse ) . It’s neat to know that the animals are well taken care of and they rotate them out to pasture through the seasons . Everyone at the facility was super friendly and there were a couple dogs they had hanging out that were friendly as well , I’ll definitely be returning with friends who come to town for a visit !!!!!!!

It was a lot of fun for me and my family. My kids, (youngest in Kindergarten) all had a good time. (Especially in the gift shops 🙄)It was beautiful inside and out. My only complaint is that I wish that the tour operators had given us a little more time to look at everything. (Like the writings on the walls from the 1800s. I would have loved to have see more of them.) They kind of rushed things a bit, but to be fair, I understand that they have other tours coming through. The tour guide was very nice and had fun stories about everything. It was a great experience. I would be careful choosing what type of tour you book if you have physical limitations. Some of the areas are incredibly narrow and steep. It would definitely not be possible for some. We will be going back again!

Horseback riding was great. Our guide was super helpful and knowledgeable about the animals. You don't need much experience at all if any. Beautiful horses and great scenery on the trails.
Kayaking was awesome, the boys that provided transportation to and from the river were fun and respectful young men. The owner was super friendly and welcoming. The green river is a must see if you love the water.

They really have a lot to do here. We only took advantage of the zip lines and the obstacle course with our two grandsons 8 and 12 years old. They both enjoyed the zip lines a lot the 8-year-old wasn't quite ready for the obstacle course, but the 12-year-old excelled at it. The area we were at also had horseback riding. Lots of animals horses dogs Etc walking around the area. Very cool rural place.

We were coming from Chicago, and we had booked our Kayak trip a month out, unfortunately we were unable to kayak the day of our reservation due to thunderstorms.
The staff was friendly and understanding of the situation so they helped us out to solve the situation. We wish we could have kayaked or done the other outdoor adventures but Mother Nature had other plans that day!
If we plan to come back to Cave City in the future, we would wait until booking any adventures until the day of or even before if the weather turns out to be a thunderstorm.
Thank you again to the staff for being understanding!

The National Corvette Museum is a car museum located in Bowling Green, Kentucky that features over 80 Corvettes from across the lifespan of the car. The museum has interactive exhibits and allows visitors to get behind the wheel of a Corvette stimulator. It is a great place for families to visit and learn about Corvettes history.
I was honestly surprised how much fun it was. I'm not a huge fan of cars, but there were some seriously impressive cars, but also great displays and artifacts in the museum.
My husband and father-in-law absolutely loved it and they are why we went.
The tickets were not too expensive and worth what you got out of it.
I particularly enjoyed the sinkhole exhibit.
I probably could have spent longer at each exhibit, but we were a bit pressed for time. I'd say give yourself at least 2 hours to go through the whole tour.
Erin Grigson — Google review
This place is beautiful. We didn't get to see the private collection, and I wish they had some sign at the check-in desk that have the hours of when they are open. Also the cafe was closed (closes at 3p) when we went and I was looking forward to doing that too but they weren't open.
The Museum has a wonderful collection of corvettes over the years. They deliver their timeline beautifully. TCM also shows their entire sinkhole collection and history of everything. They have a special room. It's magnificent to see. You really feel the energy from that day in there. It's displeasing to say the least. But, wonderfully put together.
There are lots of photos of the different era cars on the Google page, however, I clicked the snap button on my favorites.
I did check out the brick engraving and that's $125 to do that, but gets shared after a while due to weather. However, they do have nice octagon shaped bricks inside and those are $250 for non members and $200 for members. This would make for a better option if you would like your legacy to live on for years to come.

The experience was a great learning experience for the history of the corvette. Well worth the stop for car enthusiasts. My kids enjoyed some of the interactive exhibits. The corvette collection is fantastic. So many I would love to own. Also the sink hole exhibit was interesting and educational. The children did the simulator and both were frustrated with the steering of it but both were glad they had done it. Probably just a one time event for me..

You need to go visit this place if you like cars.
We decided to add the guided tour to our ticket. We thought it would add more to the experience. Wow, were we correct. Our tour guide, Jackson, was amazing. Although he was young (19 to 21, we guessed), he knew so much about the history and construction of the Corvette. Jackson worked on the assembly line, as did his father and grandfather. You could tell his love of the Corvette. With 3 generations of knowledge, Jackson was able to bring in personal stories to the tour, not just dry facts. We loved every minute of our tour.
The museum is extremely interesting. They have Corvettes from 1953 to today. The displays are well thought out and the descriptions well written. It isn't just a bunch of cars lined up like a car show.

Had a great visit to the Museum. Glad to see that they were open on Sunday and went with my 2 sons. The place is very well kept and modern. They had a restaurant, library and archive (not open), gift store, stimulator and of course the main museum. We loved the Education center and all the interactive activities within. It kept my 8 and 4 year old entertained and excited. The 'shrine' to the cave-in was awesome and informative. I do wish they left a bit more of the cave-in exposed but probably couldn't for safety reasons. All this along with the awesome, historic Corvettes made it a trip to remember. We plan on returning.

I like this place but I honestly expected more from it. They have a small pool and splash park area for babies and toddlers which is really fun. Their wave pool, lazy River, and splash park for bigger kids is always a good time and keeps everyone cool and happy. Food is decent but the lines can get ridiculously long. There aren’t enough rides for small children but it is a good time if you have older kids. The workers there for the most part though are awful. Terrible attitudes, obviously don’t want to do their jobs, and some of the ride operators seem really young to be doing their job or seem like it isn’t a priority. It’s also very expensive so just be prepared.

Great family fun day! Plenty to do for all ages. Great restroom access, free sunscreen, parking and tubes. Souvenir cups only have $1 refills and can be used the entire season not just the day.

Took my girls for a small getaway. We had a blast! The kids loved everything! We were a little short for one or two rides. But that just makes us want to go back next year. The magic show was great. My little one got to go on stage. She loved it! Rides are great! The haunted house ride to us is our favorite. 10 plus times of riding it. It had been years since I had been. Loved everything about it!

Beech Bend isn't a bad park, but it's definitely fallen off from when I considered it a five-star local park.
Let's start with the rides. Beech Bend is mostly populated by a large variety of carnival style flat rides, ranging from a swinging ship, to a classic tilt o whirl, to the newer Vortex and drop tower rides. There are three notable coasters - a very rough wood coaster, the Kentucky Rumbler, which has gotten considerably more rough in the last few years despite an excellent layout, a steel spinning wild mouse coaster, and a spinning kiddie coaster. Not bad, not great. Given some maintenance and retooling, the Rumbler might become a great coaster again. There are a great selection of water slides if that's your thing.
Now for amenities. Parking is free. Drinks were free in years past, but are now $3.50 for a 20 ounce drink (very disappointing). A burger runs 6.50, chicken strips and fries 10. Beech Bend Hall, which was previously a decently well supplied arcade, is now empty but for five claw machines and three carnival games. Ironic given that the walls still have skee-ball and arcade signs.
There are few places to cool down besides the water park, and little shade. I cannot recommend Beech Bend during the heat of the summer for those reasons. If unlimited free sodas return, then we'll talk.

Been to quite a few drag strip in the NE and this one (albeit more "central") is by far the best. Washroom situation (from last year) is solved, clean up is quick & efficient. Staff are courteous and conditions are great.

Went a while back (prior to COVID-19) and loved it. It’s a nice place. Rides didn’t have long wait times. It was very clean. Not too crowded. This park deserves more love and I plan on returning this summer. Such an under rated and under appreciated little amusement park. Would totally recommend.

The park is clean and a great size. Big enough for the entire family to enjoy but not *too* big to where you have to worry much about your kid getting lost. Nice size lazy river that connects to the wave pool and adult beverages are available, which is sometimes nice. Good variety of water slides and amusement park rides!

Street Outlaws NPK 2023 was awesome. Parking for the VIP ticket holders was less than acceptable. The access to the pits and starting line was a great experience, but seating was a nightmare. All in all.....we had a good time and will be back in the future.

This is the perfect place to bring teens that just want to hang out together and ride some rides and eat some junk food. It's also great for families with young children as nothing is very spaced out. It is a smaller amusement park, but don't let that be a deterrent. My son and his friend had an absolute blast here.

We won tickets and got to experience this fun little place. It's like a carnival and a few big water slides. We went during the week... so not many people, that was nice!

We loved visiting here and was very impressed on how clean and kept up!! Kids loved the water park lots to do and it’s great for smaller kids.

This is like a big county fair meets a community splash/water park. They have a drag strip and camping too but we came for the park for our 3.5 year old. He loved it. The go karts werent running when we were there and the haunted house is probably PG17 at best. I went in it alone to scope it out. I wouldnt recommend it to young kids or those afraid of surprise shots. Regular tickets are $49.95 but we got discount from our local radio station.
El Sayre — Google review
The physical space in the park is okay, but only okay. There are a couple of roller coasters, but other than that, it's all state fair style rides that you can find anywhere. The staff are neither friendly nor particularly helpful. My biggest issue, though, is the fat shaming. They literally weigh you before they will let you get on the water slide, and if that weren't bad enough, they don't do it until after you've waited in line and climbed a bunch of stairs, meaning that if they decide you don't fit their perfect little mold, you then have to walk all the way back down the stairs, against the line, and process how you've just wasted a whole bunch of time waiting in line only to be humiliated and fat-shamed when you got to the end. I read the other reviews, so I already know that every time they get called out about this, they make excuses about how the manufacturer set the weight limit, but they're the ones who chose where to place the scale, and they're the ones who chose to buy a water slide with a weight limit in the first place. It is totally unacceptable and not that hard to fix. Do better, Beech Bend.

Underground cave tours are a great way to explore Bowling Green's Lost River Cave complex. The attraction offers an interesting experience on a subterranean boat ride that is appropriate for all ages. The tour guide provides information about the history of the cave and underground waterway while visiting "blue pools" near the entrance of the cave.
We really enjoyed our visit today! The boat ride was nice and the cave is beautiful. Our tour guide was super funny and made it so much more enjoyable as she educated us on the natural history of the area. I felt good spending money here, knowing that the proceeds go to and not for profit foundation set up to preserve this historical cavern. The site also ties in with Civil War history, which was an extra bonus for my boys.

Pulling in the parking lot we had no idea what to expect. After entering the gift shop to buy spots on the tour, we found a wonderful place for souvenirs.
The staff was super friendly and gave us all the information we needed to start our adventure.
Walking down to the cave is a beautiful Scenic route. 🚶♀️🚶♂️🚶Once we reach the end of the path and saw the cave, we were pleasantly surprised at its splendor. 🤩
Our guide was full of energy and made us laugh many times during the boat ride.
I recommend you don’t forget to fit this itinerary on your next vacation. 😁

A very short experience in the cave itself. The surrounding area is beautiful and well maintained. Plenty of parking and staff to assist. The gift shop is on the pricey side but has all kinds of options for everyone.

If you love being surrounded by the wonders of God's creation then I highly recommend the nature trail here. With beautiful scenery and interesting facts about the Lost River along the way it is sure to please any nature lover. I have yet to take the underground boat tour but I'm sure I won't be disappointed when I finally do. The gift shop has unique and beautiful items for sale and the employees are very friendly. My grandchildren enjoyed the rock mining and the Lost River spring more than anything. I could go here every day and discover something new.

We've been through numerous caves, and although this one does not have the massive stalactites and stalagmites (which they explain about during the tour), it was a very interesting cave and I loved hearing about all of the history surrounding the cave and the area. Our guide, Jayden, was both personable and knew what he was talking about. I wish I had known ahead of time about all of the trails in the area as well because I would have planned to have more time before or after our tour to explore the area some more. I am very glad that we decided to do this.
The walk down to the cave was intermixed with things to see and stories to hear, so it wasn't too fast for anyone in the group and our overall group ranged from somewhere 6 months to somewhere upward of 60. You walked back on your own and at your own pace for the uphill part, and it really wasn't bad. There is a gravel parking lot at the very back of the property that will knock about 10 minutes off of the return walk if you are worried about the total distance. One woman had her son go and get their car for her. Nice short distance, so very easy to drop one person at the front desk to check-in, then drive those worried about the walk to the back of the parking lot and park there.
The only warning I would have for people with balance or knee type problems is that the two steps down into the boat can be a bit hard to manage since there isn't anywhere really good to hold onto. The guide was holding the boat steady, so he wasn't able to help much. Even though I was headed to the left side of the boat to be seated, I walked in on the right side and used the rail on shore to hold onto, then moved over to my side.

We had so much fun on our visit to Lost River Cave. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Nashville. This was our sons favorite part of vacation. It is just a short 45 minute drive from Nashville and well worth it. I purchased our tickets online and there are a few benefits of that. I was able to get a discount on the kids mining buckets which they loved! And you also receive a coupon for the gift shop. The tour guides do an amazing job and know a lot of history about the cave and area which I enjoyed. Really all the staff from the gift shop to the guides are super friendly and helpful. If you are visiting when it is cooler be sure to bring a jacket you do have to walk outside some and will want a jacket.
Just a note our kids are 9 and 2.5 and it was perfect for them. I was unsure if our daughter would enjoy it or be entertained long enough to sit still for the tour but she did fine. I highly recommend the mining bags or buckets kiddos get to pan for treasure (gemstones shark teeth and geodes) outside of the gift shop and ours loved that experienced.

This cave was beautiful! I enjoyed learning facts about the place from our tour guide. You can also rent the area for a wedding! It was really pretty and very neat to ride the boat through the cave, my son loved it. Also I think its less than a 20 minute walk to the cave or for the start of the cave tour. They are kid/baby friendly as we took a 9 year old and a 9 month old on the tour. The gift shop had lots of cute knickknacks too! We didnt have a wait to buy the tickets but we had about a 20 minute wait from time we purchased tickets until our tour actually began, which was totally fine with us as there was plenty to see to occupy our time.

2nd time here. 1st time seeing the butterfly exhibit. I love that they did it, but dislike that people touch them too much. The boat cave tour was amazing. Hannah was a great guide (5/28/23). Loved hearing the history of this place. Please go out and support this amazing little wonder!

This tour was good, not great, but a nice stop if you have extra time near Mammoth Cave.
This was the only truly wet cave we ventured to. It was a nice albeit short boat ride through the cave. Our tour guide Emma-Claire was so passionate and informative. You could tell she was interested in what she was talking about, and did a great job of inserting humor in with the history.
The cave is very pretty and the gift shop has a good selection of trinkets and handmade goods from local artisans.
This wouldn’t be a tour I would repeat, and think the price doesn’t necessarily match the length and overall experience, but still glad we experienced it.

Just got done with the boat tour and loved it. What a unique experience! Our group had a toddler and it was great—they had kid-sized life vests (required for those under 13). This seems pretty doable for different activity levels, with these two things in mind: 1) there is a bit of a walk to get to the start, so give yourself extra time, 2) at one point on the boat you have to duck pretty far down so as not to hit your head. Staff was really knowledgeable and friendly. Nice visitor center and bathrooms. Other activities available and spaces for picnics—could spend several hours here. This is run by a nonprofit. Would totally recommend to others and go again!

Such a cool experience! The short walk back up the hill is worth it! Our guide was so knowledgeable and had great dad jokes! The cave is beautiful. Was hoping it was bigger but hey its a cave! Also in the park is a it's a 2 mile walking trail that could that currently has many scarecrows for the Halloween season a lot of fun for the kids and adults as well. The cave entrance can be rented out for events the day we were there it was set up for a wedding with crystal chandelier

Tour guide is very passionate and knowledgeable about the cave and knows how to deliver information to audiences with different ages. It was fun listening to all the information he gave to the tour group.
Lots of interaction between the tourist and the guide, pointing out formations of the rock, and ducking our heads down to squeeze in through the cave made up the entire experience
The whole tour was very exciting, and memorable experience. I did not know that Kentucky was full of cave until I got here and learned about it.
Highly recommend to come check this place out! Family-friendly!
I don’t know how often the tickets sell out, but you can book it online or in person!

Absolutely loved it! We had Becky as our tour guide and she did a great job with commentary and history. It’s not a super long tour so you can talk smaller children on it (there are life vests and the water is only around 4 feet deep). Would definitely recommend.

This place is really relaxing and calming. I love coming here when I am in Kentucky. They have a great gift shop and very friendly staff. The grounds are beautiful, there is hiking trails and a butterfly garden that is fun to see. It is a good place to get out in nature. I love seeing the creeks and hearing the water.
The tour is short but I enjoyed the boat ride. You don't go that deep into the cavern but I would definitely recommend coming here. It is beautiful.

Definitely book this tour! We were searching for a cave tour that is easily accessible as we had two with us that had small mobility issues that could not do much of the hiking which would be involved with the other cave tours around. They both made it up and down to the entrance with ease. Our tour guide was fantastic, knowledgeable and made the adventure enjoyable! The boat tour itself is gorgeous.

Lost River Cave is phenomenal! I had my wedding here over the weekend and I got so many compliments! The staff were so helpful and professional. Their get ready building was so helpful! I got to hang out with my girls and hook my phone up for music! I strongly recommend this venue for weddings! 10/10!
We also did the tour and that was so much fun! We encouraged everyone from our guests list to go before the wedding as well!

We came for spring break, and the boat ride through a cave is one of the things our kids were the most excited about. It was their favorite cave tour. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience here. The hiking trails were perfect for our youngest child’s little legs, and well maintained. The boat tour was a lot of fun, and a different experience than the other caves we toured. Something I saw earlier in the week at their gift shop was gone, and they were able to go into their storage area and get exactly what I wanted. It made my day because I came back to the gift shop a few days later specifically hoping that item was still there. Would recommend to anyone!

What a neat experience! It was quite unique.
We had an entertaining tour guide who shared a lot of stories about the cave and area.
The actual time on the boat in the cave was shorter than I was hoping, and you don’t travel very far. Other than that it was fun. I wouldn’t go a second time but I’m glad I did it once.

Great tour to check out the caves. We purchased tickets ahead of time, and the tour was right on schedule. The time in the boat on the water was only prob about 10 min, but it was cool to be down there. If you're in the area, I would recommend adding it to your list of things to do.

This was a different cave experience than what we are used to since this one is in a boat. It isn't a long boat tour but it is interesting. The grounds are very nice and the staff is nice and friendly. Our tour guide was fun. They also have ziplines, a butterfly sanctuary, and nature trails. There is also a very nice gift shop. This is one tour that you probably wouldn't repeat, but it is definitely worth visiting.

Park with a water-play area & a playground, plus 3 signature fountains with a show every 15 minutes.
This is absolutely the most amazing park we have ever been to!! It is absolutely huge, river front view is even better, plenty of walking/running and relaxing areas and space!!. Summer time, they have water area to run into!! Adults can even play with their kids in this whole entire park!!. A little far from home, but always worth the drive!!. Yearly weekend trip for sure!!. Photos do not do justice for this park!. Everyone with kids from young to older need to come here!!.

Absolutely beautiful, well maintained park. We visited on a Monday evening about 6 pm, and it was not crowded at all- granted it was close to 95* still, but a nice wind blowing.
There is a HUGE play structure, and within it are areas specific for different aged children. The child I was with was 8 so she was in the “Fox” play areas. There were 3 Fox play areas and let me tell you, some of that climbing equipment was challenging for me! I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the play set as did my much younger friend. The ground is cushioned and the equipment was clean and graffiti free.
Walking along the water, there were many, many different types of seating available. From standard plantar wall seating to beautiful metal swings, to really cool metal boxes, plenty of shaded and uncovered seating. We walked just about the whole length of the park and it was all very clean- no litter, no graffiti. Should mention the beautiful splash pad- looked very refreshing on this hot evening. We enjoyed our time at this lovely park and plan on coming back to enjoy the play set and concession stand soon!

What an incredible playground park for kids in the 3-12 range. It’s massive first off, with tons of rooms for a lot of kids. It’s got a lot of character too with huge trees you can explore and walk through, rope bridges, climbing walls- and of course complete with a splash pad. All this nestled up to the river with beautiful views of the town and the bridge. Way to go Owensboro!!

The downtown riverfront and Smothers park is one of the best parts of Owensboro. The downtown area is clean and well maintained. The playground is huge and great for kids of all ages. The views of the river from downtown are amazing and the large paved walking path along the river is really nice with a lot of benches along the way. If you want an even better view of downtown, get on the top floor of the parking structure. There are a few restaurants along the river but most are within walking distance one block away. Would recommend going to the downtown riverfront and smothers park for a nice stroll along the Ohio river.

State park featuring a 351-ft. memorial obelisk topped by an observation room, plus a small museum.
A rather interesting state park located at the site of the birthplace of Jefferson Davis. Though Davis is remembered as a Mississippian, he was born here before soon moving to Mississippi. The obelisk on the site is the largest unreinforced concrete structure in the world, and one can’t help point out the similarities between this and the Washington Monument, two obelisks for first presidents of American nations. There is a small museum with a small entrance fee (a discount on that and going up the monument exists for military and US government). There is also a little shop selling everything from General Lee mugs to prints of paintings, to books by Booker T. Washington.
Outside the visitor’s centre, there is a WC, many park benches, a playground, and open field where one can recreate. I think it’s worth a visit for history folks and regulars alike. It was cool to see people coming together and enjoying themselves, not frothing at the mouth because of politics or correctness. Cheers.

With all the madness about monuments I've kinda made point to go seeing and taking kids to learn about those around us just in case one day they are gone. It's amazing how this is well kept the people are really nice and sweet. They have tons of knowledge. Kids really enjoyed the playground out in the back, kinda cool swinging on the swings wit the monument right there. The museum is small but, educational.

Beautiful 😍 place, the person who guides the tour to go up the elevator to the tower tells the story of Jeferson and does it with such passion that it seems that you are watching it in a movie. From a purely historical standpoint, it's cool that this monument is in the middle of nowhere KY honoring the confederacy's only president. This structure is impressively massive, and the park lands are very nice. Small museum behind the structure and elevator inside the monument when it's operational. Beautiful place, amazing and informative tour, and the tasting selection.. Just amazing. Can very much recommend, and I've done a bunch of distillery tours.
The staff was eager to answer questions, knowledgeable, and a delight to interact with. Tons of history, stories, and old charm.
Definitely make this a stop on your long strange trip.

My wife and I discovered this distillery just last week and decided to book a tour. I'm so glad we did it is a great unique story of the history and pride taken by a family making some excellent bourbon, moonshine, and rye. I apologize. I didn't get the lady's name who conducted our tour, but she did an excellent job. They are Kentucky proud using and employing Kentucky products and resources. A must visit on the bourbon tour. We will certainly return.

Great tour and tasting on a random Tuesday afternoon. All the recent renovations make this [relatively] fledgling distillery legit. Captivating stories, engaging memorabilia, historic photos and pretty good juice!! And apparently they're not even done with the renovations. Had a nice long conversation with Peg afterwards, and AJ autographed out bottles.

Stopped in for a tasting with my wife while in Hopkinsville. Very pleasant experience with the tasting. The owners came by and greeted us. Definitely recommend. Dog friendly.

Great spot to stop on the Bourbon Trail or if you have an RV you can camp there via Harvest Host. They had over 20 offerings for the tasting, you get to pick 10. The two of us did 10 different so we got to try all 20. They’ve got a bar if you want to have additional drinks, an outdoor patio and meticulously cared for grounds with a small lake out back.

This was a fun place to visit. We stopped after we visited grandma in Tennessee. Dad liked tasting the stuff and the little tour was cool. It really tuckered me out. So dad bought a sweatshirt and got me all cozy for more driving.
An ancient 55-foot-wide cave is the attraction at this wooded park overlooking the Ohio River.
Went for a quick little trip to see my family, long time coming! My arrival was late at night so didn't get to see very much scenery. The state park is about a block from my sisters home. We went through the woods and the winding roads and beautiful scenery, it was around 3:00 in the afternoon and looked at the tip of this hill and saw a deer just standing there watching us. There are many paths you use to go into these caves. They were amazing! The park is also huge and everything is spread out so people can have plenty of privacy. There is the tent area and camper area, I also saw the biggest fire pit I have ever seen, unfortunately I didn't snap a pic. The drive from Kokomo was a easy 4 and a half hour drive. Go check it out. I also added a few pics of the ferry ride. Outside of the State park was a Jail house that had two holding cells. The jail itself was tiny, I didn't see any info on the history, but we sure had fun taking some pics.

Always a great place to visit. The inside of the cave is great for kids to explore. There are lots of steps and you can get so close to the river. The restaurant at the top of the park is really good!!

My photos can't do it justice but it's an amazing spot. And I absolutely adored all of the painted bicycles with flowers planted in the baskets! They're scattered all around and make the small town seem very picturesque and quaint.

Nice, shorter trail. Nice picnic areas throughout. Restrooms available throughout as well (outhouse style.) Most of the trail was paved until you got close to the river then it was sand. Stairs to get to bottom.

Good short hike. Lots of stairs. Vault toilets near shelter 3. We walked this just after the 25th with about 3 inches of snow. The cave goes pretty far back. Definitely a must see for the area.

Lovely cave along the river. The park offers lodging, a restaurant, picnic sites, and gorgeous views!
We spent about a half hour exploring the park. There are several steps that lead to the cave which entrance faces the water. The trail leading into the cave is a couple hundred feet and then it opens into high ceilings. It is not very deep.
If you've check the reviews, it's worth the trip!
Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything!

This is a really neat cave. The state park is simple, but there is some play equipment for kids and places to picnic. The cave itself has unfortunately been vandalized a few times, and there were several people smoking inside when I was there
Amanda Hughes — Google review
The river is higher than the path going to the cave right now, but people were wading along the rock face in 3 foot deep water and were able to get to it. Nice views of the Ohio with barges going upstream and beautiful birdsong in the still-bare trees.

This place is fantastic! On my way to the Garden of the Gods I always stop here first because it’s such an interesting sight. Looking out from the inside of the cave of the cave presents a awe inspiring view(I even made it my profile picture haha). There are also carvings all over the walls that are interesting to look at, the oldest I found was from 1835. There is also a great deal of history behind the cave, such as it’s use by pirates on the Ohio River. This spot is sure to be a hit for anyone who checks it out and is great nearly year round.

Cave In Rock is a place we enjoy revisiting. The park is beautiful. There are picnic areas, play ground, rest rooms, a few shelters, beautiful areas overlooking the Ohio River, a restaurant and of course the cave itself. I recommend reading about the history of the cave, has a very interesting past.

Loved it here. Not a very long walk to the cave but there are stairs. It is beautiful along the Ohio River. The Cave has a large opening and a narrow walkway that opens up inside. The cave has amazing lighting due to a crack that is open at the roof of the cave. Good place for kids and dogs. Plan to visit for at least an hour.

Wonderful! The cabin was clean and bright, the private deck over looking the river was blissful. GARDEN OF THE GODS was breathtaking. Ferry to Kentucky was such fun. We were not huge fans of the food but the staff and deck were terrific.

We had a buffet lunch, with fried catfish, chicken, mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans, fried okra, corn on the cob, mac and cheese, salad, dinner rolls, and a good selection of dessert. Their tarter sauce is delicious! The catfish was cooked perfectly, and all of the food was good. It's a bit cramped for space, but all in all good with a great view of the Ohio River. Will definitely go back.

Family-oriented aquatic amusement park with speed slides, a lazy river, a wave pool & more.
The park offers a variety of water attractions, including water slides, lazy rivers, wave pools, and kiddie play areas.
One of the standout features of Venture River is its diverse range of water slides, catering to different age groups and thrill levels. Whether you're an adrenaline junkie or prefer a more relaxed time in the water, the park has something for everyone.
The lazy river is a great spot for relaxation, allowing visitors to drift along peacefully on inflatable tubes, taking in the scenic surroundings.
Venture River also provides amenities such as changing rooms, food concessions, and picnic areas, making it convenient for families and groups to spend a full day at the park.

Really fun experience for the kids, a really nice lazy river for the adults. The slides are exhilarating! I recommend the cliffhanger! We stayed alllll day and left with a healthy sunburn and smiles!

Not every site has sewer but they all have electric and water. The place is very clean and you can walk to the water park. This is an amazing place to take the kids because currently it's buy one day. Get one day free if you're staying at the RV park.

The park was clean, efficiently laid out, and fully staffed. It was crowded but not uncomfortably so. Bonus, the water chemistry was perfect (didn't feel harsh, no chlorine scent, but clean and refreshing)
The shelters, while a little pricy, provide a nice way to bring your own lunch and to store your items.

It was a lot of fun!!!!! Just don't forget sunblock for those who burn and flip flops you can carry on the rides or don't mind losing cause you'll get blisters from the concrete and watch ur kids in the wave pool it gets pretty crazy!!

Today was me and my family's first time visiting here. We live over an hour away and I read beforehand that it's cheaper after 3 p.m. The park isn't huge, but a nice size for anyone who enjoys the water. The water appeared clean. It's not huge waves like holiday world splash park, but still has wave pool. There was plenty of lounge chairs to relax in when not swimming. My daughter went down the slides. She had a blast!! I'd return for the p.m. swimming.

Great Waterpark, lots of rides for all ages and a great value. This is our second summer coming here and we love it. The food is at a great price point and tons of seating all around the park. If you've never been it's worth a visit.
Come and stay at the RV Park next door and stay for a weekend, you won't be disappointed.

I took my granddaughter 5 yrs old (2 wks ago) and we both loved it. It is something for all ages. The price I paid was very reasonable because where we stayed the night, if you buy tickets at the office (cash) you got 2 nd day free. Can't say enough good things about this place and all the workers and lifeguards. We will be back this summer. Love it!!

This was our 3rd visit and the 1st time the weather made us exit the water. The best part was waiting in line to order lunch while literally poured on, the rain was so heavy! It was okay though, I was dressed for it 😜 we love this water park! Love love it! The entrance fee is reasonable, plenty of fun for everyone, and we are always excited to come back. Cant wait to go back again next summer!

We took a 3 hour drive to Land Between the Lakes so that we could check out the campgrounds before we plan our next year's vacations.. the scenery is beautiful!! And I hope someday we make it back.. unfortunately we were unable to drive through the main campground due to trick or treating... we did check out the smaller campgrounds there, and marked off ones that would be a good fit for our camper.. not all sites are level, or have much room at all..lots of trees and cliffs.. If your planning to travel there, I would definitely encourage you to check the sites out first. Hopefully this helps others..

Beautiful and peaceful scenery all around! We drove all the way to the top from Dover, TN and the amount of wildlife we saw was incredible. Plenty of eagles, great opportunities for bird watchers. Would also be a nice place to have picnics or lunches, as there were many stops with those designated areas. Would highly recommend the planetarium. It was very informative! Lots of great places to take photos, and to learn about local history.

Awesome place to explore, we stayed at Canal COE campground just north of bridge. Trails are awesome on foot or bike, use alltrails for maps as cell signal spotty in most places. $5 to drive thru Elk and Bison Prairie is the highlight, we did the loop twice.

Pretty cool national recreation area. Tons of things to do, hiking camping fishing scenic drives etc. They have an enclosed area with bison and elk. Nice campgrounds ohv areas and scenic overlooks on the lakes. This is an area affected by the Tennessee valley authority creating dams and flooding rivers to create lakes and displacing the people that lived there.

It's a beautiful drive, worth the time. I can see why folks love camping here as it's quite peaceful and scenic. If nothing else, you must stop at the South Bison Range! The tornado damage is pretty heartbreaking, though. I don't know that I've ever seen anything like that. My only complaint is that there really should be more places to pull off so photo opportunities can be properly entertained.

I love, Love, LOVE this area. Cannot believe I'm from Indiana and have never before heard of it. A nature lovers must! Camped at Energy Lake, each area is a small circle with maybe 10 lots and each has a bathroom/shower house. Camped basic for 16 a night and paid $5 to see elk and bison up close and personal at Elk and Bison Prairie. The best experiences at almost nothing rate!

Had a great time got lost and someone helped us out the map they provide is incorrect and that can be dangerous if your not careful! There are some amazing trails here but they need to remark them better than they are now! All in all a awesome place to ride!

We didn't get to see the red wolf, but for a very good reason. She was tending her new pups! The 2 Bald Eagles were standing proud and almost like they were posing for a picture.

A very enjoyable ride through the park. Stopped at visitor centers which were nice but unfortunately we were pressed for time so did not take the opportunity to tour the old homestead nor the planetarium. We did drive thru bison and elk preservation and enjoyed that tremendously.

Very clean, beautiful scenery, and tons of Elks and Bison to see! Even got to see some turkeys! Glad we made the stop on our trip across to the west coast! The Golden Pond Visitors Center has the larger gift shop and is also the planetarium.

Me and my father go off grid camping. This is 1 of our favorite spots. My uncle passed away a few years back, and this is where we spread his ashes. We call it Ole Joe Holler in his memory. Very peaceful and relaxing.

So much to explore here. You can enjoy paved roads, some that are not, and some that are super rowdy. We had a great time checking it out. Found a cool area to swim in. Map recommended since you won’t always have cell service. Lots of tiny roads to explore. Bison were fun to see as well. Clean restrooms at visitor center and energy lake campground where we stopped.
