Had a great time here! Excellent wines and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. You can tell that the staff gets along really well and treat each other as family. That warmth and positivity really comes through in their high quality wines! Great variety of wines with all local grapes and many unique flavors.

Amazing Pinot Noir and a variety of sophisticated wines. Local and organic, so the same wine tastes different from year to year. Ordered a case after doing a tasting (free with the purchase of a bottle).
Dillon Sandhu — Google review
We enjoyed our visit to River's Edge very much. We stopped for a tasting and enjoyed chatting with Mike very much. He was entertaining and informative. The tasting and their wines were very reasonably priced. We purchased a bottle of their Elkton Cuvée Pinot Noir. It was delicious! Wish we had more! The tasting room was small, but ample sized for the four of us. Five out of five - do recommend!

What a cool place to hangout and get a glass/bottle of wine. Great wine, tasty charcuterie board and hummus. Our waitress Melissa was super friendly.

We were feeling like we were in an RV caravan heading east on Hwy 38 and wanted a change of scenery. We like side trips and we like wine so we decided to stop in River’s Edge Winery on the corner of River Dr and Hwy 38. We are glad that we did. Colin Dudley did a great job of educating us on the wine and telling the story of the winery. All the wines that we tasted were excellent. We like trying unique varietals and we bought a couple bottles of their 2016 Baco Noir. We tasted the wine about week later and regret not buying more. We visited two other wineries that day and it reminded me of Sonoma County 40 years ago.

We visited a couple of the vineyards in Elkton and River’s Edge was by far our favorite. Colin was very knowledgeable of the wines and the region and made our group’s tasting experience great! We tried many of the wines and they were all excellent (especially the Aligoté). Highly recommend making the stop!!

I recently spent a few days with my daughter in Oregon and we decided to go for a wine tasting at River's Edge. It was the best experience we could have had. Amazing wines, a great conversation with one of the employees (sorry, I can't remember his name), hummingbirds outside the window and lots of free running turkeys for entertainment. Just ordered a case of wine, because it was definitely worth it.
Katharina Nagy — Google review
We had a great tasting experience at Rivers Edge! Our tasting was very personalized to us and we enjoyed learning all about the winery! We ended up leaving with a couple bottles and will definitely be having some shipped to our home town. Would recommend to anyone who appreciates great wine and quality service!
Lindsey Petersen — Google review
Colin is the best, kept the place open right at the end of the day so we could enjoy our tasting! Delicious wine!

I love love LOVE stopping by this winery on my way to the coat. As a Native Oregonian, Pinot Noir is in my blood! Not really, but you get what I'm saying: I'm a fan of the varietal. Rivers Edge has some of the best Pinots! And they new guys that took over are super knowledgeable and friendly when it comes to tastings. In addition to Pinots, the do a bunch of fun whites including a Sparkling! Rivers Edge knocks it out of the park with service and wine style. I highly recommend giving them a try when you're in the adorable town of Elkton.
Tourist here... Just traveling through and wanted to stop to do something fun. This place is lovely. Highly recommend.
In addition to wine, they have beer on tap, as well as other beverage options and a small snack selection too.
They have a heated, covered outdoor patio where dogs are allowed.
Rachel Konsella — Google review
An excellent place to stop for great wine and superb service. A beautiful patio to sip wine that is family/dog friendly. Inside the tasting room is large and clean with several varietals. Wine was great for any palette. Service was amazing with friendly conversation and knowledgeable staff. I won't be going through Elkton without stopping from now on.
Matthew Krunglevich — Google review
Excellent wine tasting room near their winery. Pleasant ambiance; exceptionally pleasant service.
They serve up many high quality wines (award winning), including several somewhat unique varieties (white Pinot noir was my favorite).
$5 tasting fee waived with purchase of 3 bottles. Highly recommend visiting.

Absolutely awesome afternoon! The owners are delightful and full of information. Wines were fabulous. We brought appetizers and enjoyed all the wine and sun. And we took home quite a lot of wine! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Sue Wyatt — Google review
Can't speak to the wine. We wanted to taste, but not for $15 for four tastes. Oh, and you had to buy *three* bottles to get the tasting free! 😲🤯 Hard pass. Especially with so many other wonderful options in Elkton. Too bad. Lovely patio.
Kat4cats — Google review
Might drive 2 hours just to return here! Super family friendly, with toys for toddlers available. The server was knowledgeable and gave me a great first wine tasting experience. Everything was gorgeous, particularly the patio and upstairs. Truly, if you’re near here make the stop!
Dee H — Google review
Enjoyable place. 4 tastings for $10. Buy 3 bottles and the tasting is free. Good Sauvigon Blanc. Able to park our truck and 5th wheel across the street. Outdoor patio tent with heater. Very pleasant.

Had a nice long chat with Terry, the owner about his history in wine making. Tasted four wines, which were all pretty good! Bout the white pinot.

Talk about family friendly!??? My friend from out of town and I came with our two boys. We didn’t know they were “technically closed”, however they still let them play on the bouncy houses while we enjoyed some delicious wine!!
I will return often and bring any visitors that come to town!!!!

Went here to a holiday market. Very nice people. They have a great sale going on their local wines and offering free wine glasses. The vendors for the holiday market have some beautiful things perfect for gifts.

Great little Winery. Scott the owner was very friendly. Meet us at the door and was a great Hoast. Spent the night there thru Harvest Hoast. Some excellent wines. Thanks.

We went to the winery on Sunday the 13th of August and the very gracious lady was informative and helpful! She took the time to explain things my wife and I. The wine Veraison is TREMENDOUS and a very drinkable wine. This is a great spot and they are very down to earth. A real gem!
Gaylord Buck — Google review
A lovely afternoon, in a beautiful setting, with great, welcoming people. Our family enjoyed our afternoon here. It was great to see Mr. Scott Henry as he greeted us upon arrival. Many yard games to play, bring the family and relax!

Best wine ive ever had and I guess rare too! Definitely worth the drive. Family owned and ran
AJ DeLay — Google review
Henry himself sat and drank wine with us. I can only describe this as a magical experience. He shared his life story with us and made us feel like family, sitting around, telling stories and drinking amazing wine. The scenery was breath taking and the company was even better. Cannot recommend a better place to spend an evening. Great wine, great people.
Leah Reed — Google review
Wonderful service, super friendly and very personable. Scott and Karen took the time to get to know us during our tasting and shared with us so many great stories and experiences. Scott's Valentine's day chocolate teddy bear was the cutest and he reminded us of Carl from the movie Up. They had a unique selection of wines, and their Veraison was amazing! We'll definitely come back this summer when the weather is nicer and covid let's everyone enjoy life a little better. Thanks for starting our Valentine's Day on the right foot!
Whenever I have friends visiting from out of state that would like to visit a local vineyard, I take them to Reustle (pronounced rustle, like rustle the leaves) Prayer rock Vineyard. It is always a first class experience and they come home with lots of wine to share. One of the benefits of being a good host. The wine tastings are a delight, the pairings with snacks are always fun. I've been to almost all of Douglas Counties wineries and Prayer Rock is at the top of the list.
Rudy — Google review
Went here with a few friends and had a great time. This was my first visit to a winery. They had a live band, and the grounds were amazing. I am not a wine drinker myself(I had a beer), but my friends loved the wine. I observed a wine tasting and learned about the wine. Had a great time.
Brian — Google review
Beautiful tasting room. Kevin provided great information during our wine tasting in the wine cave. Very informative and knowledgeable about wine. Our favorite was the Tempranillo.
Jack gave us a tour of their production facility and was also very knowledgeable about wine making.
Wish we could have enjoyed their outdoor seating but it was raining.
Lindsay Young — Google review
We joined the conseires club in november and just picked up our second month of 6 bottles. They brought us around back into the cave in a members only area. It was all decked out in christmas decore. The gal helping us was super nice and introduced us to the owners wife. She was very delightful and welcomed us to the wine club family. We ordered a cheese and meat plate, which is amazing, and enjoyed a bottle of our wine in a private pod on the front patio. Very romantic and always a pleasure to be there.
JK K — Google review
Company did a presentation for my local Wine Group, promoting great customer service, Christian beliefs and doing the right thing
Let me say my experience is far from that , they made a mistake on shipping and say they will make it right. Do not believe them
Still waiting for replacement of wine ( which they said to me over the phone they would do ) many many weeks later still nothing
Actions speak louder than words
My wine group will never invite them back

The entire staff goes above and beyond to make sure your visit is one filled with wonderful memories. When we have guests it's one of the places that we love to share.
Sallie Kennedy — Google review
Amazing venue. Range of wine. Great service. Highly affordable bites to eat. Yes. really. The wine cave is absolutely gorgeous (rec to owner-play some Spotify guitar music lightly on the background)
Wines range from pretty good to amazing. Tasting comes with accompanying bites and tasting fee dropped with purchase (fee $15 pp, spend $50 pp to waive fee)
Such a terrific venue…..go!
Tom Ettel — Google review
This was an amazing experience. The wines are fabulous and of the 10 we tasted were consistently 4/5 to 5/5. The tasting room, building and grounds are amazing. The staff was incredibly warm and good educators without any pretense. The wine club is incredibly well thought out with a better system than others. I highly recommend a stop and don't doubt you'll be back.

Don't know why more folks don't go out to enjoy fall colors in the Vineyards.
Nice, quiet wine tasting today - thanks, Jolene!
Kay Doolittle — Google review
Escaped the kids for a few hours tasting some beautiful wines here. My wife and I shared two separate wine flights on the recommendation of the server. This gave us access to taste 8 fantastic wines. We also had some small cheese bite pairings to enjoy with the wine. We enjoyed ourselves and really appreciated the time they took to educate a couple of wine rookies.
Kevin Watts — Google review
Underwhelming experience. The staff was very impersonal and did the absolute bare minimum in welcoming you. Such a cool spot with potential but the people are what bring you back and this place, I would highly suggest going elsewhere.
We are from San Francisco and love Mexican. This review is a rare one for me because the food really did blow us away.. it’s been a while since we were all really impressed. We were really really impressed with the food. Our kids ordered plates with two tacos rice and beans. The plates were big beautiful ceramic plates, beans hot with a touch of cheese melting, rice was deliciously cooked seasoned, the chicken in the taco was moist and delicious, with fresh salsa. My wife and I had the fajita bowls where the onions peppers were fresh and just seared. The chicken grilled perfectly, over rice and black beans. I could taste the roasted tomato, I asked for roasted jallipeno and it was also done perfectly. Sour cream on top.. it’s was all fresh, grilled veggies came through, flavors amazing.
Hats off to the cook! Dude You are much appreciated.. I can see why the reviews are all so good.
It’s about 5 min off I5. We’ll be back.
The only down side was the side of guacamole. It was so so . Chips were perfect, hot, crisp..the place is a bit hidden.. it’s Not the Mexican place next to the gas station..

This was my first time visiting. Food was good with good-sized portions at a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and attentive.
When I arrived I was met with water and chips & salsa.

Recently had cause to go to Ashland, and was excited to knock a few towns off the Great Oregon Burger Bucket List (my quest to have a burger in every town in Oregon). Found a Mexican restaurant with burgers, La Pinata, in Drain, and headed over. Really cool local spot. Serves just about everything, friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere. Huge cookies!! Being sold to pay for trips to watch the Atlanta Braves, of which this is a mini Mecca for fans.
I asked if it was a decent serving of onion rings, and boy howdy!! They gave about twice as much as most places do. Great prices, $20 with the tip for a big bacon burger, lots of onion rings, large drink, and two huuuuge cookies. Onion rings were great crispy batter with a soft onion inside, mild taste to the batter. I don't normally use fry sauce for onion rings, but wanted to try it, and the fry sauce is very solid-a slight tang and very smooth. If I lived in Drain, I'd probably probably be here twice a month just for fries & sauce with a beer to wash it down.
I got the bacon mushroom Swiss burger, despite not being a typical mushroom burger guy, because it was recommended in reviews and is their top selling item overall according to the very helpful waitress. It was a burger you could smell the meat from while it was being brought to you. The tease of the scent alone promised a solid burger, and it lived up to its tease & reputation. Juicy beef and thick tasty bacon with a very generous helping of veggies on a solid bun. The mushrooms were great, just noticeable enough to know it's a mushroom burger without being over powering.

Great food, friendly staff, generous portions, great prices - this will be a regular stop as we head to the coast.
Jason Carnahan — Google review
Very good food very good service. The couple across from me were very picky there wasn't anything the waitress could do to make them happy. I tried to pick up their tab but it was already done so I gave her a generous tip in hopes it made up for the difficult people she had to deal with LOL
Amber Chamberlain — Google review
Stopped in late one evening since it was nearly the only place open after 7 pm. Lucky us! In a time when restaurants are skimping and raising prices, we were professionally served a delicious, generous plate with great salsa. We look forward to eating there again.
Sally Anne — Google review
They double charged me : once under "The Totem" and once under "HACIENDAVIEJAMEXICANRE"
$80 for 2 beers and 2 entrees. Save your self the hassle and go somewhere who won't steal from you
Josh Vader — Google review
Ordered the 16 ounce top sirloin rare .they brought me a little piece of reheated prime rib, when I mentioned it they ignored me and walked away ,I said something agian and the waitress "the menu was wrong" and walked away ?? Didn't ask if I wanted something different or offer to knock off a bit from our 140 dollar bill (there was six of us) .no I did not eat it and she had the nerve to ask if I wanted a to go box.......
Tanner Langdon — Google review
Food was good but the service really sucked, had to ask for napkins, had to ask for go boxes never asked if we wanted refills never came by the table to see if all was ok just sat and talked with coworkers. Will NOT go back.

Loved the small town atmosphere. No Mexicans in sight but surprisingly Great Mexican food. MASSIVE portions, low price and amazing customer service.

Our first time out in 2 months. Fried zucchini!, Fried mushrooms!, Yes love it.
The food is good, would I come back? Yes if i lived near.

Awesome little place to enjoy some yummy Mexican food and strong drinks! Wow!
Wildlife Safari is a 600-acre park that boasts an impressive collection of animals from around the globe. Visitors can embark on a 4.5-mile drive-thru loop to see these creatures up close and in their natural habitats, including deer and emus giving birth. Beyond the drive-thru, guests can also explore the barn and get even closer to some of the animals.
Awesome place to go with family and friends!
Lots of animals to see and even feed a few!
After the nice relaxing drive around you can even park and see more animals!
Staff was very friendly! Some of the staff even stayed next to the animals and said a few facts and were always making sure you enjoyed it!
Definitely recommend going to this place!
Cornel Curea — Google review
The Wildlife Safari is located in Winston, Oregon. You can pay to go through the drive through to see bears, bison, elephants, giraffes, and many other animals, but if you plan to go through the drive through a couple more times it is best to buy a membership for $120 annually. You can go through the drive through as many times as you would like the entire year. You can add a person onto the membership, so you could also just go in on a membership with a family member or a friend. You can walk through and look at many other animals for free, with donations kindly accepted. There is a small playground for children, a cafeteria/ restaurant, many different species of animals to look at as well as a petting zoo area.
Megan V — Google review
Great little set up. Lots of great things to see. My advice is don't let the guy behind you rush you through. Tell him/her to go around and race to the finish on their own time. You only get the one trip through and it's not by the car but the passengers inside so take your time and really enjoy the presentation. I love the fact that they are doing this the right way and not like some nasty places that try to make money off the poor animals.
E R — Google review
Tons of family fun. Lots of animals to see, plenty of activities in the village. Playground, petting zoo, camel rides, train rides, Photo Booth. snacks, gift shop. Everything extra cost extra. Place is affordable for the most part and about average. Lots of more intimate options for interacting with animals for a cost. Arrived at 2pm and many animals were napping already. You could see them; just laying down. Earlier arrival time would be best we assumed. Village layout is a little confusing and viewing window glass had major glare. We will be back.
Scottie McKee — Google review
We spent today here. It had been many years since we'd been there, so some things have changed, such as some of the predatory animals not roaming free as in yrs past. But, I do understand why they probably had to change that. Still, we enjoyed it so much. The weather was perfect, and this place is so well maintained. Definitely do the walk through as well, if you have time. The landscaping is very pretty, too. Both adults and children really love feeding the birds, in the aviary.
Northern girl — Google review
Drove through with family, it was a lot of fun. You must stay in your vehicle at all times. We bought some food in cups to feed the animals through our windows. We had enough time pause in our car and take pictures along the way. There's souvenirs available at the end, highly recommend as a family stop!
Stephanie — Google review
Loved it so much and only wish we'd got there earlier in the day to experience more of the safari village! The drive through was huge, so many animals roaming free - it was really quite spectacular to see such great care for all creatures. The bears were my favourite, also loved the feeding area where we had fun giving snacks to the deer and emus (one of them stole our cup and got chased around by his mate, we were laughing for ages). We ended our tour with a sticker for the van and a little peek at the cheetah. I'd definitely recommend this safari for all ages, stay for the whole day and enjoy it!
Mikaela Korth — Google review
I love this place. Went with my granddaughters. They had a blast. They loved feeding the animals. The ostriches and deer came straight up to my car. The bears are my favorite. They seemed so relaxed laying in the shade. The leopards and cheetahs were nice to see. We saw them eating their dinner. The walk in part of the park was very nice. We walked around and saw several animals there. We loved the babies. I would highly recommend this place. It is a great place to stop while on vacation or if you just want to have a special day.
Becky F — Google review
A great place for people young and old. The kids we're super excited each time we spotted a new animal on the drive through, and the adults felt a child like anticipation. The walk through village offered an educational experience with different animals to see and interact with and the chance to see some creatures very up close and personal.
Constance Duffle — Google review
Drove down from Portland for a day adventure with my 3 children. This place does not disappoint! So much fun, much better than the Oregon Zoo. Animals had more than enough room to roam freely and all seemed happy. My kids loved feeding the deer and the emu's! Well cared for and kept together. We'll definitely be back!
Kaleena Holzinger-Fancher — Google review
This experience was amazing!!! We saw so many animals up close and happy in their environment. Bonus was seeing a 15 minute old deer and watching an emu give birth. Our entire party was incredibly happy with this experience and still talking about it days later. Enjoyed walking around the barn and seeing other animals after the drive through. Highly recommend.
Monet Shepherd — Google review
This was quite amazing to do. We were pressed for time, but with your admission you can go around a couple of times on the drive. Plus the walk through area is included. That is where you can do the camel ride and train. It was nice they honored both a Veteran discount and triple A discount. Will definitely go back again 😀
Mike Shirey — Google review
I have been visiting Wildlife Safari for the past 35+ years (about every 4-5 years we make a trip down). It's a wonderful experience, and a treat to see so many animals- some up close! Some things have changed over the years. For example, the lions used to roam free to the point they had to open a gate to let each car in and out. Now they're contained behind fences. I'm guessing it's an insurance requirement (which says more for society than anything). It's still a great place to visit.
The day we were there this time was pretty hot. The rhinos were hiding in the shade near the top of the hill, but other than that, pretty much all of the other critters were out and about. We didn't do the train or camel ride this time, but have in the past (and enjoyed both).
All in all, Wildlife Safari is absolutely worth a trip- granted it's no Loro Parque, but is educational, charming, and enjoyable in it's own way. Yes, we will absolutely be back in a couple years.
Kevin — Google review
Great way to watch animals which can roam freely than being in cages. They have all variety of animals, mainly, well fed and healthy. Groupon made it cheaper with discounted tickets.
Ram Dongre — Google review
Beautiful sunny day that wasn't too cold so we could enjoy the animals with the windows down. Went in the afternoon of a weekday, so very light traffic & the animals were all out & playful. This preserve is spectacular & massive with so many animals from all over the world. Today's favorite was the young grizzly bear playing & running. Also, two Emos fighting over the feed cup LOL. Make sure to bring at least $5 cash so you can feed some of the animals. This place is a must see & I'll be going back at least once a year!
Melissa King — Google review
Very fun. Could only be reasonably improved with clearer signage. Staff is friendly. Park is clean. It is not charge per car but per person which is a bit ridiculous. I do recommend going.
Heatherann “Nausi Windstrider” Price — Google review
Wow wow wow, This was such a great experience. We last minute got tickets for this safari on our way up to Portland and it was 100% worth it. There was a slight drilling so it was am interesting experience. Many of the animals were out cuddled up with each other. We spent around 2 hours here. Not many cars on the trail. Be careful feeding the emus... food go everywhere haha. This is a must stop !
Ryan Lobsien — Google review
This was a fun experience to drive through. I wasn't expecting to see Rhinos! The drive takes about an hour. There is a small walk through area as well. A lot more animals then I was expecting.
Fig Newton — Google review
I had a close cheetah encounter. She was majestic up close. The staff was very friendly and clearly had a close bond with the animals. Fun to spot other animals along the safari!
Beautifuly elongated park with plenty of shade and shares it distance with the
S. Umpqua. Because of the baseball diamonds, tennis, The Y and Disk Golf Coarse in close proximity youll find active people from all walks of life feeling content and shareing smiles and weekend moments with family and friends.

Little man, as usual, had a blast here. Not a big fan of the number of homeless there, though.

Fairly family friendly spot. Have found vape cartridges and other trash around. The playground is great. There's a spot for younger kids and older kids. Lovely view of the river. The old train is fun too.

Stewart Park can be found on a half block of turf off Wells Ave. at Stewart & Wells.
Two thirds of the Park is Au Naturel, where the sods is . well maintained & Trees line the perimeter of this area.
I've seen all kinds of activity here; from Soccer games to locals having picnic lunches
Tho, the No.1 activity I've noticed is..." Just Walking the Dog!" Locals are at Stewart park daily exercising their pets.
The backend of the park has several areas of interest. A basketball court, New Age Jungle Gym/slide for small children & lastly both, open air & shade covered picnic tables are in the Southwest corner of the park!
Restrooms are usually up & running. Within a 1 block radius are 2 convenience type stores should one need some amenities like sodas, water or light food items!
Anyway, I'll be by Stewart park today & I'll snap some photos to add to this post later in the day.
God bless & Good Health to all!🌹

Although this is no fault of anybody, beware renting the pavilion. It's really not safe, the homeless become hostile when you ask them to leave. We had one guy walking around talking about prophets, maturbation and cursing. I wish the park workers or somebody would clear them out prior to events. Also, tons of wasps swarm you when you try to eat, I understand it's nature, but some traps would be helpful.
Other than that, it is nice, decently kept and convenient with the playground nearby.
Sara T — Google review
One of the best places to take kids. You can swim in the river(be careful and kids should have an adult) play on the playground play Frisby golf walk or bike the 4 mile trail. In the summer they have movies in the park for kids and music at the halfshell. Great place for birthday parties or any occasion you can rent a covered space. Also for 4th of july its great for watching the fireworks

I was transitioning from being a full time nanny to living in my car due to inability to find and secure a rental. I stay in my car over night there along the road and felt empathy and compassion from the park host. I am so very grateful ❣️
Dawn Shafer — Google review
I took my grandkids there, and they had a blast. They can't wait to go back. The establishment was very clean. The staff was friendly. The only suggestion would be more upbeat music. My 11yr granddaughter said, "Even 80's music would be better." I said that's because it's the best. Lol! Will definitely go again.

Stewart Park is a nice park to bring your family to next to spend the day. What time walking past it goes all the way around the Roseburg VA in golf course that's YMCA and baseball fields. The only down sing about it there's not much parking.

Always a great place to walk your dog. Homeless can sometimes be an issue so park by the ymca or golf course, and not in the actual park.
James Eshleman — Google review
Beautiful, well established park. Stewart Park is well utilized by the community and provides pavilions and grass for BBQs and picnics. As well as bike trails, disc golf, wildlife, and a fun play structure for kids.

Museum featuring natural history & history exhibits with a local focus, plus a nostalgic gift shop.
Awesome museum but then which ones aren't. Place was cheap. Lots of stuff you can touch. The staff was polite and helpful and weren't mask pushers. Always love that. Lots of history on the lumber industry, Indian tribes, railroad, and animal/dinosaurs. It was fun and took about an hour to see everything.

Open Sundays! (10a-5p) AWESOME experience!! We drove down from Eugene area and we are so glad we made the trip. So much to see and learn. My favorite part was the animal/taxidermy exhibit. You get to touch lots of stuff (tons of fun for the kids), even real animal pellets/hides.

Fun little museum. Good for about an hour. Lots of things to see and learn about the Umpqua Valley. Fun things for littler kids to play with and touch.
Rory Silva — Google review
We went to view the Archie Creek wildfire that threatened our area 2 years ago. This is a very well done exhibit it may be temporary there. But, is well worth a visit.
We spent a couple hours viewing the rest of the museum. They have some excellent dioramas showing prehistoric and current animals. Many other exhibits show birds from the area that are identified.
This is truly an excellent museum.
The admission fees are very reasonable.
Without hesitation, I would encourage you to take a half day and visit this museum. We will definitely go back.
Dick S — Google review
This was my first time here. I've lived most of my life in Oregon and it took me moving to Illinois for five years to finally stop and check it out.
I've got to say for a smaller museum it was pretty great. I enjoyed the new exhibit on the Archie Creek Fire from 2020. The pictures were mind blowing.
The rest of the museum has a lot of different things to look at. There is a downstairs, but no elevator to ride down. You either need to use the stairs, or it looks like you can walk outside and around the side of the building to get through a gate if you are mobility challenged, or maybe have kids in strollers.
It's not overly expensive and has a little gift shop near the front door.
If you are visiting Roseburg Oregon, I recommend stopping in and spending some time here.

A very cool local museum that gives a good history of the area and ancient animals that inhabited the region. Founded in 1969, added on in 1979 and 1989. Good place for kids to see and learn history as well.

If you like natural history and getting to know an area, then this is the place for you. We enjoyed exploring the museum. Some of the best parts were reading some of the displays about the people. Honestly some were quite funny. Take the time to read them! There is also a little gift shop

It is such a great little museum! 2 floors of exhibits and the detached train station is filled with timeless charm and exhibits with a running train. There are some interactive features for kids and an indoor and outdoor play area. Affordable, clean and well maintained.

This makes your genealogy come alive!
I followed my family back to the 1890s. I don’t know if they came by wagon or train, but I was able to see both. I was transported back to a time that appreciated hard work. I am jealous and wish that I lived back then!
I believe every child should come to this museum while they are studying Oregon state history!

For only $8 dollars, you definitely get your money's worth. It may look small from the outside, but there's a lot to see on the inside. There are plenty of things for children to see and do. We spent an hour looking at all of the exhibits. Make sure you explore the outside because you'll miss a lot.

There is lots of interesting stuff here but I think the highlight is definitely the taxidermy and animal skeletons showing past and present wildlife in their habitat.
Be aware that wheelchair access to the downstairs exhibits (pioneers, farming equipment, a train car, the 1959 Roseburg explosion and a kids archaeology dig, as well as the accessible restrooms) involves going outside and down the hill on the side of the building (and then back up the hill on the way back.) The day I was there, I could have taken my car and parked by the wheelchair entrance to that level, but there isn't marked disabled parking there, so you can't be sure someone won't block your lift if it is busy.

Wish we could have spent more time. Different areas have hands on exhibits, 9 year old loved it!
I absolutely LOVED this bridge for some reason.
The surrounding area made the bridge that much more beautiful.
Saw a gorgeous Blue Heron. Just memorizing.
The town itself was quaint and I just wanted to jog all morning there!
The river was swift flowing and the sounds were music to my ears and very soothing

One of my favorites I've found so far! It's definitely worth seeing. Whoever restored this bridge did an amazing job! However, parking is hard to find but if u go to the backside of where the bridge is you'll find a section to park in.

One of many covered bridges in the area. But I think this is one of the best. Lots of information to read and it is restored so beautifully.

This bridge is fully accessible, unlike most of the others in the area. It has a fairly thorough permanent display, giving the history of the bridge and the area in general.

This is a truly impressive covered bridge. Renovated using locally sourced materials from a lumberyard variable of working with such large lumber. It would be even better if they put a real stream engine at the entrance.

There really isn't any parking but the bridge is cool and there is a neat little metal train out front

We made a stop here to check out the bridge on our road trip from Portland to Crescent City. There isn't much here other than the bridge, but it's a nice spot to have a picnic. You can also read about the history, which I really enjoyed.

This historic covered railroad bridge has been meticulously restored and has many unique and fun touches to notice. For example, keep your eye out for the train tracks embedded in the floor, the outline of a train against the north wall, and short fun facts about the bridge along the railings. On the east side of the bridge, there is a bench and a shelter area with interpretive signs about the bridge and the history of the area. Parking was a challenge as there was no dedicated parking lot, and the street was generally too narrow to park on. We parked at a pull-out up the street (on S River Rd) and walked to the railroad bridge. It looked like there might also be parking on Tyler Ave.
Go check it out! 5 stars! If you like Cottage Grove it's definitely worth the visit!! Such a cool place, and shares a space with the Gold Mining Museum for double fun! Just wish it was open more often.

They were informative, nice and eager to help. They've done a lot of good work.
Went on a Sunday afternoon. It got busy but we were able to get a table outside. What a wonderful place! The scenery is lovely with the free range chickens and horses/ goats in the background. Absolutely beautiful space. I had a mixed wine flight that was perfectly balanced. I also had the broccoli and brie pizza which was very good but could have been cooked just a tad longer. Overall, I’d definitely come back. Also pet friendly!

Went to the grand opening of Saginaw on Friday, they did live music which was great and they have a really nice Sarah , which we got the last bottle of that night. Was a little dissapointed with how packed the place was. They didnt have enough chairs at tables, the tables were pretty packed into the old barn/seating area. Food was very expensive, $28 for a medium sized pizza that could only feed 3 or so. It was noisey with all the music and folks talking over eachother. People standing shoulder to shoulder inside. Spent most of the time outside as it was very claustrophobic. I would say the building its self was very nicely decorated, its a very cool 100 year old farmstead. If you go at another time it would probably be calmer, how youd expect a vinyard to be. Friday night felt more like a packed pub with roudy customers.

Cute little winery right off of I5. Beautiful old barn tasting room. Went on Friday night and had a blast! Great food, awesome live music from 6-9 and also played some Wine-O (bingo) between set breaks for the band. Had a great time out and will definitely be back!

We visited in May 2022. We loved the tasting room and the gentleman that helped us was very nice and funny. We enjoyed the wines we tasted and ended up buying a couple bottles. We opened a bottle of 2019 Pinot Noir on Christmas and it was terrible. It had a slight smell and taste of vinegar. We were so bummed. Just wanted to let you know. Maybe we just got a bad bottle. ☹️

This place has such a great vibe! We came for the first time during an art event where local artists had artwork for sale. Their wine flavors are true to description and their blackberry one was my favorite of the few I had. They also have various animals that roam the property looking for food and/or attention. I met a very polite sheep and several goats. We were encouraged to go pick blueberries for free too and they were so sweet! Will definitely keep an eye out for the blueberry port coming at the end of fall!

Laid-back casino resort offering rooms & RV spaces, plus 3 restaurants, a spa & live concerts.
I noticed that none of the bathroom fans worked in any of the 3 rooms that my family were in on the second floor. 🤔 I really liked the fresh new look in the public restroom, pool dressing room, and dry sauna. 🙂
We were there to celebrate my daughter and daughter-in-law's birthdays. We had a great time and they even won some birthday cash! 🤑
We'll be back!! 😁

If you booked prior to January 1st, double check the rate you booked at and the rate you’re actually charged! First, the newly remodeled rooms are very nice and clean. I loved how spacious it was and the comfortable seating area. Only problem with the room was the A/C, no matter how low we set it (on high, cool or auto cool) it wouldn’t drop below 76 at night which made it hard to sleep. When we checked in the front desk agent did not verify the dates we were staying or the rate and I didn’t think to ask as I had booked over the phone and was emailed a confirmation. The next morning there was a receipt under the door so I called the front desk to double check we were still booked another night and they said when there system updated it changed our stay to 1 night, they said it would be taken care of and they’d change the rate to $112 which is what I was originally quoted. Housekeeping still tried to come into the room and tell us it’s after checkout, so it was never communicated. We went down, got new keys, and a manger fixed the reservation. I then asked him to verify the price for both nights and they were set about $70 higher than I was quoted even after I was told it would be taken care of. Again, they said the system update changed the prices, so I’m sure a lot of people got charged more than quoted. He was very friendly and fixed it for us. We then asked for a 12pm checkout and again the next morning housekeeping knocked and asked if we were a late checkout, again telling me it wasn’t communicated even though we asked the night before. The food at Cow Creek was great, and everyone was very friendly.

I love Seven Feathers. I have been to many tribal casinos in the US and everything they do far surpasses all of them. They are extremely clean, they keep decor fresh, great casino floor staff as well as front desk. The restaurants are great and their point systems rock. It isn’t too big and it isn’t too small. This is by far my favorite casino to come to even when I lose! Great job management and team!

Location is convenient because it's right off. The freeway staff is kind of far and few between. But the arcade It's pretty cool. Me and my son went in there and played a bunch of video games.where I don't gamble. Maybe nicer if they expanded the video game center a little more for kids that are here with their parents and made it a little bit more affordable. The way I see it is you already make so much money off of the gambling. Why not give it back by making your arcade a lot more affordable Say a quarter of a game, it's not like you're have very much maintenance and doom and not like you have to watch Over him. Like you do the video game slots. I don't quite understand why they charge so much for it. And don't have a big area, but it was cool.

Always a good time here with friends and family. Love the arcade, pool, sauna and hot tubs. Good food, customer service could be a little better. Waited forty-five minutes for someone to help us in the arcade after i called for assistance, no one showed up. We took a shuttle for free to a restaurant down the street. Nice, friendly driver. Overall great experience.

If you gamble even a little bit, this is a perfect stop on I-5 in southern Oregon. The place is just plain nice. The check in is easy, the rooms are awesome and the Casino is a happening place. Try the new game of Spanish 21....... My buddy and I both did well. Finish your day off with a great tub in the spacious spa. I will definitely be back.

Was a quick trip but I enjoyed the hot tub and kids really liked swimming and the arcade room. Wish there was more food choices to eat, felt limited. Great Casino to stop at if you’re traveling with children. They have a pool and arcade to keep the kids occupied as well as a few family friendly restaurants. The only thing as a downside is the prices of the restaurants are a bit expensive for what they are. For adults the casino has a wide variety of machines as well as a good number of table games. My family and I stayed the night and the rooms were spacey and pretty luxurious.

Love to get away to this lively place, fun to get away and have a meal, or play some machines maybe take a moment to stop in the bingo hall and play a few cards. They always have live concerts or some kind of attraction going on. The rooms are very decent priced and well kept up. Also they have a vip room its amazing should definitely check it out if you haven't yet.

This place sucks unless you like giving money away. We never win. Not sure why we come back ever except that it is close to home. We figured we might win at least once. Never happens, might as well just walk in and hand them our money. They are to greedy for us. Will not be going back. Would rather drive further where at least there is a chance to win. The only reason there are good reviews on here is because the hotel is nice as long as your not going to gamble don't waste your time or hard earned money.

Our car broke down on the way to California and we needed a place to stay for the night. Fortunately they had rooms, although it was pricey!! The room was nice. No complaints. The casino area was not too crowded, but seemed smaller than expected. I liked that there were beverage areas for sodas and coffee as you were gambling. We ate in one restaurant, diner type. It was okay. I felt like we waited a bit for the waitress to take our order. All the staff that helped us were nice. They also have an indoor swimming pool that a lot of families were using. Would I stay again, probably not, but if I lived in the area, I would for a short getaway.

I've not stayed in the rooms as it is my stop heading up north with my RV. No hookups, but it's great to have a rest here for the night. The place is very clean. Diner Restaurant was nice, and breakfast was great for the grandson. Nice perk was we happen to be there a day they host a Farmers Market. The grounds are beautiful, especially all the roses. Great to see they offer their venue for a space for the community to have a farmers market where we bought several items for the reminder of our trip. Also, across the highway, they have a fabulous fuel/struck stop. So clean!

Cow Creek Cafe has large breakfasts and they are very tasty. The casino and hotel Christmas decorations are the best I have seen in a public place in quite a while. Sorry there is not room service or cleaning because of Covid. But the service was outstanding. We could ask for fresh towels or extra glasses and be served quickly. Everyone was friendly and nice. First time I have stayed but won't be the last.

Atmospheres nice, the people are really happy and comfortable working there. They really is no stress on the gambling floor. All the games are clean. It smells really nice. The only problem is the food seems to be designed for the older palette. So it's plain and a bit mushy. I had hash browns that taste like there was mashed potatoes inside. Very odd. But other than that it's a really great place to go and hang out and get your gamble on.

Last summer (2022) we visited and had a good time. Fast forward to this summer we received some coupons and free play dollars—we spent a total of two nights this time around. Excellent modern rooms. The casino has a great vibe, and I appreciate they have lots of places to chill besides just in front of slots.
The pool is great, and the restaurants are a great value with great flavor. We don’t live close so won’t be back for a bit, but look forward to going back. Easily the best casino in Oregon!

The casino is nice for those who like to gamble. The hotel was not worth $220 per night it has very poor water pressure in the shower couldn't even was my hair. I was just blown off when I let the front desk staff know. We did stay in the side they said was the better side. Not a luxury hotel. I would say good option if you want to drink and gamble and not get a DUI.

This establishment is widely regarded as one of the premier gaming destinations within the state of Oregon. However, it does have one notable drawback, which is the relatively early closing time. On the positive side, smoking is permitted within the premises. I would like to inquire if there is a designated non-smoking section available. I frequent this establishment periodically and consistently return due to the exceptional quality of the games offered.

The rooms were clean and beautiful, the water pressure was amazing, and the water was hot hot! Wish their coffee tasted better in the room.
Wish they had a breakfast special for guests staying . Only complaint about the casino….the cigarette smoke it awful! Needs better ventilation. And more dining options.
Overall was a fantastic stay!

I expected a nice meal but I was served raw chicken. Management probably hires an inexperienced chef. I asked for a refund and i was told that I ate it already by the server. Poor chef poor, staff and a lying waitress! I broke the chicken into piece due to one that was RAW. Too bad I was willing to tip. I will not miss this place! Adios their slots sucks 700$ in and no payout on a bonus feature.

It’s a casino and that is pretty much it. There are services for kids. If you bring your children with you there’s a nice large pool and small arcade. There are very few restaurants that are kid friendly, but there is a nice cafeteria, which has the best food prices, and probably the best food, I have pictured it in my photos. The service overall was OK. There was a mix of workers who were happy to be there and others who did not like their job and it was apparent. Don’t expect any extra accommodations. If they do something wrong they don’t seem to care at all. Stayed the night, the accommodations were comfortable, so no complaints about the hotel room. However, if you’re sensitive to smoke, the casino does allow smoking in most areas and you can smell smoke through most of the halls of the hotel, and sometimes through your vent in your bedroom, even though the rooms are non-smoking. They kept saying over the speakers that someone was winning over twelve hundred dollars like every hour or less but I never saw someone win money or that large of a sum of money so it felt like it was a recording. Most gamblers did not seem to be happy Did not really see many people winning so if you’re going there, expecting to win don’t. If you’re a strategic gambler, you might do well, a lot of the workers on the tables seem to be newer, which could also mess you up as well if you are experienced, so overall it is a mix of everything. Restaurants are not too good there was a fly in my drink twice at one of the bars but don’t let that stop you from trying the food. Don’t have any expectations. I would go back again though. Overall not too bad.
July 10, 2017 -- My first whitewater rafting trip! I can't imagine having a more expert and fun guide than Bill. Whitewater rafting had always been out of my comfort zone, but my 16 yr. old grandson was visiting from Massachusetts, so my husband and I, both in our sixties, thought, 'what the heck, we ain't getting any younger,' so we did it, thinking it would be a great memory for our grandson to have of us together. Personally, I wish I'd started doing this years ago; we had an absolute blast! (Even if Bill did seem to always hit those rapids so I'd get swamped! I think that's the cleanest my left ear has ever been!) Seriously, Bill's calm, easy manner, experience/knowledge of the ebb and flow of the river, and it's history, made it a wonderful day. So if you're up for a little adventure, beautiful scenery and just a genuinely good time, I highly recommend North Umpqua Outfitters.

You literally could not have a better guide than Bill. He has been riding this river for 28 years and he knows it like the back of his hand. Bill knows the current, the flow, and where the hazards are just below the surface. More than that, Bill knows the history of the North Umpqua River, and he tries to make sure every guide that works for him knows it. Hearing the history as you're on the river really helps to connect you to the whole experience! 4/11/18 was my second run on the river and I cannot wait for my next one! Make sure to get a seat up front if you want to get the full experience!!

Susan Creek waterfall trailhead is across the street from the Susan Creek day use area. The waterfall hike is .9 miles with some uphill travel to the waterfall in areas, but not bad. It’s a pretty mellow hike and easy for kids, BUT BEWARE the entire trail is surrounded with poison oak! It was difficult keeping kids from touching it, since it was dangling over the path. Letting kids know if you see “leaves of three, leave them be.” You can tell little ones that all you want, but kids want to pick up sticks and hop all over the place! So, if you catch poison oak pretty bad, either wear a full body suit or find a different path!
They have been working on cleaning up the fire damaged trees in this area. There’s only enough space for three cars in the waterfall trailhead parking but the parking lot is covered in cut burnt trees at the moment. Also, the trash near the bathroom was horrible! Pick up after yourselves people! This is the reason why many of our beautiful natural places are not open to the public anymore!
Once you make it to the end, you will love the reward! The waterfall is powerful and you can sit close enough to get a nice refreshing mist!

I went in early September. Plenty of water still running over it. Unfortunately the fire really decimated this area and most of the trees are dead. Like all of them 😔 Tons of poison oak took over and is everywhere. Encroaching on the trail in some places. Super easy trail that is handicapable. There was a couple on their mobility scooters when I was there. I would advise not to bring little kids because the the poison oak but it's your thing, do what cha wanna do. Wish I could have seen it before the fires.

This was probably very beautiful once. But the fire had ruined the landscape around the fall. The fall itself is still beautiful, but the trail is not. The hike was short and full of black berries and poison oak, all the trees are charcoal, and the parking lot is semi abandoned looking.

This is a very nice hike to a lovely falls. The hiking trail is easy and well maintained and has placards along the way telling you about the fauna. The waterfall is easily accessed on both sides and makes for a lovely photo.
Bonnie Moreland — Google review
The length of hike was perfect for us and our two kids. The completely burned down forest was sad. Because there is no shade, go early in the morning or on an overcast day. There was poison oak everywhere, meaning we couldn’t enjoy a few of the ripe native trailing blackberries. The waterfall was beautiful. Whoever is responsible for this plot of land should be pressured to remediate this land with native forest. It was like a graveyard of something once majestic.

For those looking for some fun photos then this is a good stop. The area is a park and has a few trails, but the main draw is the cover bridge. If you are planning to take picture of cars, keep in mind this is a one lane bridge so be aware of others coming in and out of the park.
The grounds of the park are nice and a good place to picnic if it works out on your travels.

I have always had a thing for covered bridges since I was a kid and this one you can even drive through. It is in the perfect setting in a beautiful, quaint little town of Westfir, OR. The leaves were just starting to turn to fall colors which made the scene even more dramatic. Only a couple miles off of highway 58 if you are ever up that way.

Awesome bike shop. Marcel and the the team set up our entire big crew- young and old -with top gear, custom adjusted all setups, super great to work with, and made us feel like old friends. The shop itself is centrally located, has absolutely everything you could possibly need for biking, and then some. Highly recommend. In addition to a world-class bike shop, they also offer all sorts of gear and equipment, much of that you need for outdoor activities.

I was bike packing a section of the Oregon Timber Trail. The day prior arriving in Oakridge I had lost my camera on the trail. I was not sure where I had dropped it. I started to back track, but to no avail. I could not find my camera. I had just finished hiking my bike through miles of snow covered trails and downed trees. I was feeling pretty down.
The next day, I made my way into the bike shop and immediately felt at home. I wanted to wait out the heat before heading up a big climb out of town and then camp. I asked if I could leave my bike in the shop while I walked around town. They let me keep my bike in the chill area, where it was most chill. Nice area, essentially the backyard of the shop.I talked to Marcello and Kerri about my trip so far and mentioned losing my camera and my plans for later.
Later in the day as I was climbing out of town. I saw someone in a truck wave me down, it was Marcello. He had brought me my camera, I had lost the previous day on the trail. A hiker came upon it and brought it to the shop. I have never been so grateful. Thank you for tracking me down. I was in a good spirit for the rest of my trip.

I rented snowshoes. Good equipment, friendly service. The site closes at 5 pm but they allow even to return it after hours which is a major convenience. A perfect stop to get your rentals and a snow park permit.

Skip the visitor center! This store has it all! We came into town spontaneously after a day of climbing at Smith Rock. We walked in to the store and were greeted by several employees. Marcelo spent so much time going over the map and recommending biking trails and some hiking trails for this non biker (for now). He even recommended several campgrounds! We did not even buy anything but we will absolutely on our next trip to Oakridge! We were made to feel like long time customers and I may even try a rental next time in. Don’t pass this store up!

Had issues with my brakes, the got me in and fixed before my next shuttle. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. They even had a demo prepped just in case they could not fix in time. Big shout out to the crew there on 7/29/23. From the orange YT guy.

This shop is a gem. My partner and I had plans to leave before sunrise to head to Crater Lake for Ride the Rim this fall. As we were loading the car, I realized my bike tire, freshly pumped the night before, was totally flat and wouldn't hold air. None of the bike shops in Eugene would open for many hours--too late to help us. We passed this shop in Oakridge on the way to Crater Lake. When we pulled into their parking lot (before they were even officially open) the person inside getting things set up for the day opened up the shop for us early. He quickly fixed my tire for a very low fee, and our adventure was saved!

What an amazing place to spend your hard earned "cash" the banks may not have when we all ask for it, on that day! In other words, if you have money, are in Oakridge, Oregon on ANY day, go to Willamette Mountain Mercantile and spend it! A wide selection of quality camping, cycling, outdoor enthusiast gear at competitive prices? Check! Amazing staff? Check! A wide selection of bikes with expert service and lightning fast turnaround time when you have it performed? Check! See! If you want to check all the boxes for a business that doesn't just have one thing on their mind, (your money!) you have got to check this place out! Thank you Willamette Mountain!

We were on a road trip and not at all familiar with the area when we stopped by to take a look around and get some trail information. The guys here were so helpful. It was early in the season and lots of trails were still snow covered and they had all the current trail information and were able to give suggestions based on our skill level. We really didn't need to buy anything but we hunted around just for something to get because we felt like we owed them something for all the information. We had a great ride that afternoon and we will be back again some day for more riding in the area and if we need anything - this will be the place we stop! Great Crew!

This is a super cool store and sells more than just bike stuff. The kind lady at the counter shared great info for a gravel ride up Rd. 565, which proved to be awesome. Thanks!

Best Bike Shop in Oregon! Incredible service, very knowledgeable, and I think a good stock of parts. Olivia not only fixed my bike fast and correctly, she let me use a demo bike so I could make the shuttle ride. Then she made a warranty repair and didn't charge me for labor. Can I give her 6 Stars? Also, the shop staff have a great attitude, no arrogance. (I hope Fat Tire Farm reads this!) I'm coming back to Stoke-ridge just to do business here.
National forest waterfall with 2 80 & 40-foot tiers & viewing platform accessed via a forest trail.
Stumbled upon this on accident and I'm so glad I did, beautiful drive to the falls with an actual parking lot. The hike is short but moderate as the way to the falls is mainly uphill but so worth it. There are benches to sit on and admire the falls at the end.
Sunshine Eliana — Google review
Nice trail it’s only 1/4 mile to the falls. It has a nice viewing deck there to see the falls. It’s accessible in the snow just make sure you bring hiking boots the trail gets slippery and wet in snow.
Kevin Drost — Google review
Don't believe the raves about this place and it's beauty. I fell for it and was hugely disappointed. It is a nice waterfall, but the length of time it takes to find the waterfall is ridiculous and it didn't even turn out to be all that, not really worth it.
It's also easy to miss the turn off, because Apple Maps isn't completely accurate and because the cell signal drops off - it's important to really pay attention, or else a few u-turns or several point turns will be required on a narrow two way road.
I can't understand the big push of "Must See" or "Don't Miss Out" because no one can get that close from a birds-eye perspective.
There is a huge hole in the wire fence, that should be fixed, cause a small child could fall through it and
1. DIE
or
2. Get seriously injured
It's too bad the persons responsible for the safety of this area, haven't seen the necessity to fix it.
I can understand the need of hikers or other interested parties who want to see the waterfall up close, it probably is a better view. But there should be a trail, rather than jumping through a not so safe hole in the wire fencing.
The fencing is in place for a reason. Safety reasons!
Parking (only 10 spots) wasn't such a pain, b/c I got sucked into the hype of these falls and went early. There was only two other cars, when I arrived around 10a & the short trail to the overlook area was an easy calm walk.
There are no fees to view this waterfall. But I can honestly say, it's not as glorious or magnificent as so many instagrammers and other reviewers 'say' it is.

The hike itself was very beautiful and right in the parking lot there’s this old pipeline that looks really magical and rustic. The view of the falls is from a viewing platform so you can’t get too close to it. But the hike up you go along the river and you can see all these mossy plants and trees that are very serene and pretty. Lots of steps and stairs but fairly easy hike
Angeline Tong — Google review
A ten minutes hike and you'll see the most beautiful waterfall in the area. In my opinion, it's not the tallest, nor the widest.. but it's definitely the most wonderful one. Due to the water colors and the environment it becomes a phenomenal waterfall in o watch and you can literally found yourself just hanging there for a whole hour! Highly recommend! Please do yourself a favor and come visit this waterfall when it's a sunny day outside
Gev Elbaz — Google review
Where do I even start… such a beautiful waterfall. The hike is little .5 to the viewing platform… a little note… if you go and there’s more people think of others and move so everyone gets a good photo opportunity. I drove from California and I felt like someone people just don’t think of others… I wish they would do some type of stairs to go down so people have access to the bottom and so they don’t keep breaking thru the fencing…

Beautiful waterfall in the Umpqua forest. Quick small walk to reach the viewpoint deck. Parking is next to water pipeline. There is one washroom available at the start of the trailhead.

I was blown away by how beautiful it is. The trail is very well maintained and easy. There are a couple of sections that have stairs, so it is a little workout, but you will forget all about that once you get to the falls. This is the most beautiful waterfall I have seen to date. I went on a weekday in the afternoon so there was only one other car in the parking lot. Very nice and quiet.

Absolutely enchanting in the season of Fall. The hike is achievable with some elevation gain. Views of the water flowing from the upper stream to the waterfall is spectacular. A breathtaking and peaceful hike. Definitely will visit again 👍🏻

Vasy trail that is less than 0.5mile (one way) and takes about half an hour. There are a few spots where you can get pretty close to the water. You get a beautiful view of the waterfall at the end. The trail is very well maintained and they built staircase in the areas where you have to go up and down in elevation.

Visited in April after a spring snowfall. Trail was rather muddy in places due to this. Absolutely gorgeous falls. One of the best I've seen. The drive-by "car wash" in the parking lot was fun too.

Definitely worth a stop. One of the best waterfalls I’ve seen! It’s about a half mile back to the falls up and down steps.
Jason Bennett — Google review
What a place! One of the wonders of the US.
The parking lot is adjacent to an old wooden water line that has sprung leaks in it. It’s unnerving just walking along side it. It’s like 10 feet tall with high powered h2O spraying out of it all over. I feared it would just burst if I even looked at it wrong.
Hiking to the falls is beautiful in of itself. The falls overlook was nice. We were somewhat confused that there was no “official” trail leading to the falls since we’ve seen people down below online. Beside the overlook is a super sketchy descent not for the faint of heart. I am not faint of heart so I hopped the railing and rappelled down by rope.
Because traffic is low at the falls (not many people brave the descent), you basically have the place to yourselves (with a few other brave souls).
There was no way I was not going to take a swim so I did. The water is cold and refreshing. I loved it!
Jesse Maloney (GO TIME!) — Google review
If I had more time, I might have figured out how to get to the bottom where I see a few people, but today was just to the viewing platform. The falls looked great from a distance, and the hike was super easy. A few older people, kids, and some people barefoot made it. Halfway along the short path is a spot to climb down and get close to some water rushing by.
Scott Tencza — Google review
Beautiful place to see for sure. It was around 81 degrees. Little bits of mud here and there but other than that the hike to the falls was incredible! Lots of people with their dogs visiting as well. The only bad thing I can say about this area is the outdoor bathroom was really intolerant. The forest service must do a better job of maintaining the public toilet.
Brian Paillette — Google review
Without a doubt, Toketee Falls are incredible, nice, and easy hike about a mile loop. The aqueduct in the parking lot is massive and beautiful.
Picturesque natural hot springs in a small travertine pool with views of Surprise Falls.
Hiked down the hill this little beauty of a hot springs pool is right off the river. Was able to do the cold river dips and jump back into hot water.
Also a super private spot was able to be nude with significant other and have own space while people were up on top.
Totally recommend it to anyone who is bit more adventurous and comfortable in their own skin.
Wouldn't take a family here but solid date night, meet new people or explore wilderness naked. If your feeling bold do the hike in naked. Nothing better than a bare foot naked run. You can feel and focus on muscles more. Love Oregon.
Brent H — Google review
Extremely beautiful spot and well worth the drive and steep but short hike. It can get crowded so an open pool isn't always an option. Nudity is common here so if that bothers you try coming very early in the morning. Top pools are less slippery but there are some more down closer to the river.
Sunshine Eliana — Google review
Checked one of my list ❤️ Imagine soaking in a hotsprings in the middle of the forest . We went on a sunrise soak and the view was just amazing .There is a bit of a hike before you reach the hotsprings . Could be slippery so wear a comfortable shoe or sandals. I would definitely come back here. The pools made of rocks were just amazing.
Carina Basio — Google review
Totally worth a visit! The pools are gorgeous. Arrive early to avoid crowds. It’s a natural hot springs and clothing optional. There is a lot of organic matter on floor of pools. Walk up is short but steep.
Katherine E Heinrich — Google review
It's a mixed feeling.
The hot spring itself is nice, although the most high pool is the only one hot, the rest where the water trinkles down are warm and some are barely warm. There are lots of pools, about 8-9 in totals, if I recall correctly.
The not so nice part is that even on a gloomy Wednesday, the place was packed with a bunch of naked people flaunting their junk around like its their bathroom. It's not the prettiest sight! Definitely not a place to bring your kids.

Top feeding pool is the warmest. Very beautiful place. Had to hike in on trail that is on left side of river. It is a bit past the gates that are closed blocking the road.
Pretty good little hike about 4 or 5 miles. Rewarding little dip after and no need for swim suit or towel just go nude and dry off from the sun.
This gem is what life is all about. You have to visit. My female friends loved it.

Chances are you’ve already seen this on every “must see places in Oregon” list. And they’re not wrong. Around 6 pools to sit in, ranging in heat (the higher up the hotter). Short, but steep hike to the pools.
It can get pretty crowded but we went early in the morning/around sunset to avoid most of the crowds.
At the bottom, near the river, is another hot spring. There is a cave where you can see some bats fly around when it gets darker.

One of the most chill and beautiful hot spring I have ever been to OR. Perfect temperatures you can choose, people are nice and natural lovers. Not very crowded like others. Not easy to find and make sure be careful when you got there if it’s snowing. Microspike is necessary.

Lovely, relaxing, warm water puddles that are big enough for a couple people to sit in and relax. There are several of them, enough for maybe 20 or so people.
The gate was closed, which meant a walk of a few miles to get there.
Clothing optional (probably 90% of all people there when we were there were all naked). There was nothing weird or creepy about it.
We would come here more often if it wasn't that far from where we live.

Pay the parking fee, Ranger was out giving tickets when we arrived. The hike up wasn't bad but is uphill and lots of tree roots sticking out. The springs themselves were so nice! We went in the morning both times and were able to try all them. Saw 2 cig butts so super great people (mostly) clean up their trash there.

Beautiful natural hotspring in the middle of the forest. Several pools ranging in temperature, natural = expect sediment, nudity is common. Depending on day/time, may have to wait for a pool to open up. Parking at the lot near the bridge is $5 cash via payment envelope - they do have rangers checking. The drive beyond the gate to the parking lot is full of pits and potholes. Apparently there is a longer section of trail before the gate that you can take (2+ miles) but we did not see parking at that trailhead. Pit toilet at parking lot had toilet paper and was adequate. The trail is very steep in soft dirt; one section has wooden railing that is loose in a few areas. Shoes/boots highly recommended (no sandals), bring a towel, and pick up after yourself. I enjoy the natural beauty - If you're looking for glamorous, this is not it.
Angela Werling — Google review
Pack it out. This place is should be respected. Lots of trash, clothes, and cigarettes butts left behind. There are even trash cans at the trailhead. Road is still closed as of 3/23 so expect a longer hike to get there. Definitely a busy spot with lots of people going. The springs themselves are murky with lots of algae and other floaters. Very slimy but a few hot/warm pools this time of year.
Ben Derisgreat — Google review
5-6 soaking pools made from rock. The top one is the hottest, going down they get cooler.
The hike is a 10 minute, steep incline, to a graffiti hut and your there.
Other people said it wasn't busy, but the parking lot was full and every pool had a person in it. Half of the people were naked, No judge.
The view is amazing and worth the drive!

This place was great! We went once in the evening on a weekday and once in the early (7am) morning on a weekday. In the evening there were maybe one or two people in each pool. Not very crowded and we easily moved between the pools. There were clearly more regulars there and more n@kedness. In the morning there were less people but more photo shoots going on. Don't get me wrong, I got some great pictures too and am all for a little photo shot in a beautiful place but we weren't able to hop into some of the pools without obviously disturbing people's pictures. People were also very obviously waiting for the most picturesque pools so you were getting side eyes if you stayed in those too long. Anyways just two different vibes from two different visits both very relaxing.
Mac Elizabeth — Google review
Beautiful natural hot springs. There are several small pools and the top one is the hottest one. Since it is natural, it had mud in every pool. We went down the hill to take a dip in the river to get clean from the dirt. This hike was a little difficult, and not advisable if you have bad knees. There is a parking lot near the hot springs and a small half-mile hike from there to the hot springs. There is a long 2.5 to 3-mile hike too if you want to take it, but there is no parking space available near that hiking start point, so plan accordingly. We took this one way and saw a deer herd while we hike. Not many people take this long hike, so take the necessary precautions.
Amrutha t v — Google review
Relaxing, calm environment. As mentioned the top pool is the hottest, flows to the pools below at a cooler temperature. The pools are shallow, like a wading pool and the sulfur smell is at a minimal. great view of the sky, trees, and river below. Although it is family friendly I would not recommend bringing in pets or kids, they don't navigate wet cliffs with a lot of awareness. Hike in is steep but short and narrow at times, flip flops won't cut it. Pro tip for leaving is to walk down sideways.

Amazing large waterfall. This is one of the few large Oregon waterfalls you can use a drone at. Even without a drone, the view is spectacular. It's not even a hike, maybe a 2 minute walk max from the parking lot. Worth stopping by if you're in the area!

I was so excited about this hike. Except that the snow had better ideas for me. I am from the dirty south and Was not expecting snow to my middle thigh. I tried. I got halfway to the Falls and got scared and turned around. I hope that my company keeps me here for 4 weeks so I can try it again. The road is closed. And the snow was not walkable.

Second Tallest Waterfall in Oregon, Moderate Hiking Trail, that almost takes you to the base of the falls At the top of the falls its Wheelchair Acceptable. The Forestry Dept as done alot of Work on the trail going down new posts and chain rails Its worth Visiting You need the forest pass or the fee is $5.00 But its worth it the Fall is amazing There is also another trail there called Diamond Creek If your in the area stop by and check it out

Spectacular waterfall and an easy walk from the parking area. Visited in winter of 2023 and it should be known that while there is access, one must be very careful if the snow is piled high up, as the rail and fence may not safely protect one.

Gorgeous waterfall!!! The trails were packed down a bit, so it made navigating easier thru a few feet of snow. Didn’t make the trek down to the bottom viewpoint. Will be back to complete that when there’s less snow.

As the second highest waterfall in Oregon this place is an absolute must see! Trail to see the falls from above is an easy walk of zig zags. Along the way are a couple great stopping points ending with a nice platform view of about midway down the fall. Sadly the trail to the bottom has been washed away and don't recommend attempting to scale down. That aside this fall is so powerful and amazing!

Beautiful waterfall and hiking place. A very peaceful and pleasant walk for about a mile around this park with perfect scenery. A lot of places to meditate, read a book or have a piknik with barbecue. Gorgeous views!!

This was a very nice hike! The waterfall is beautiful and the trail is easy. There's even a spot where you can brave a steep decline to get closer the bottom of the waterfall! Great place for pictures, very shady.

Check out my YouTube channel- Waterfall whispering - Right off the road!! Easy access from the parking area, wheelchair friendly to the main viewing spot! Bathrooms smelled like cinnamon!!! The walk down is easy until the spot where the trail was washed out, very unsteady ground and rock to the bottom was of the falls. Do not attempt is my recommendation to most. If you get to the bottom, the wind and water spray while looking up at the falls is epic!

Beautiful waterfall. Well maintained grounds and pretty easy hike to the bottom!

Beautiful waterfall and easy enough hike for beginner hikers to enjoy a trail if you go in the summer. Snow is still very much present on this trail right now though; if you go, microspikes would definitely help with packed snow (and some unpacked snow 😬).

Well... After turning left at the first fork and driving past the "snow day use area" and winding around on gravel roads for awhile. Our group went back and turned right staying on the paved road and enjoyed stopping here.
There is a nice parking lot. The main bathrooms are closed, but they have clean porta potties. There is a historic display (for those interested in the details). The walk to the falls is paved and wheelchair accessable, although there are some sections that aren't wheel chair accessible and the stairs are a bit "rustic".
As a safety note for those with small children, there are parts along the wall a wiggly kid could slip and fall. This view pont isn't for those afraid of heights, the view is stunning!
There is a trail head here for those who enjoy hiking.
For the adventurous who decide to drive on the gravel roads they get a bit rough and one road leads up to the railroad tracks (lots of metal in the road at that point) another road crosses a narrow bridge over the water.

Beautiful site to see in the winter. They do not clear snow from any of the paths, so be careful. It's definitely worth the drive out to see.

Waldo Lake
Lake
Nature & Parks
Bodies of Water
Large alpine lake attracting visitors for fishing, boating, hiking & camping in forested surrounds.
Waldo Lake is a natural alpine lake in the Cascade Mountains of the U.S. state of Oregon. It is the second largest natural non-alkali lake in Oregon with just under 10 square miles of water surface and a maximum depth of 420 feet. Thick forests, hiking, mountain biking, camping, swimming and boating. Waldo Lake is a recreation gem of the Cascades (besides the hordes of mosquitoes in early summer). Waldo Lake is one of the largest natural lakes in Oregon. Lying high on the western slopes of the Oregon Cascades, Waldo Lake is one of the largest natural lakes in Oregon and one of the purest lakes in the world. It has no permanent inlet to bring nutrients into the lake for plant growth. The lack of plant life contributes to its purity. You can see to depths of 120 feet on a calm day. It offers a uniquely peaceful setting on the water and along remote shorelines, surrounded by forests of Douglas fir and Western Hemlock. Recreation in the area is abundant with the lake an ideal location for water activities like sailing, canoeing and swimming.

The mosquitoes were still quite active in Sep at shadow bay campground. Two stars because I don’t want it to get too popular… while I go back at every chance I can get! :) Such a peaceful place.

One thing not allowed is motorized boats. Just saw the SS Minnow going downhill as I was going up. Lol. Very clean beaches and safe for families. No dogs on the beaches!
North West forest pass to park, or the 5$ daily fee.

The lake here is absolutely beautiful. The water is perfectly clear and the views of the mountains and hills in the background is incredible. We went mid June and although pretty, the amount of mosquitos were unbearable. I’ve never seen so many in one place! I plan to come back later this year as there should be less, to bring out kayak out to the middle as I hear it’s just as clear there.
Emily Kimes — Google review
This lake is so beautiful. Pristine, calm waters. We went on a day that was kind of overcast and cold so it wasn’t quite as breathtaking as I’d hoped, but still a serene natural wonder. Kayaking was peaceful without lots of motor boats to make waves. Lots of beaches to get out and stretch your legs.

If it weren't for all the bugs (mosquitoes, bees, and flies) this would be my favorite place on Earth. The bugs are pretty aggressive, but other than that it's beautiful. If you can, try to camp up here along the lake, and go for a night kayak paddle under the stars 💖💖
Low-key lakefront retreat with simple rooms & multi-bedroom cabins, plus 3 restaurants.
Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming! We took a drive up on a snowy afternoon and enjoyed a cup of coffee/tea while watching the snow storm pass over the lake. This is a quaint, older establishment that feels comfortable like an old pair of slippers! Loved the door full of fish story photos in the gift shop!

This place is always beautiful. Cabins are decent so are the hotel rooms. You can definitely tell the staff is not happy. The rental equipment is kept at bare minimum for maintenance. Rented an ice auger and it wouldn’t even touch the lake. Most of the staff is good. You can tell they are paid minimum and treated like a number. Heard several staff conversations about how the place is ran off politics. This trip alone. If everything is jacked up on price for rental the least they could do is take care of the staff and have decent equipment

This place is very close to Crater Lake, only 30 minutes drive. Diamond lake is beautiful and clear. There are plenty of things to do around the lake. We did horse back riding, paddle boarding, motor boating, and swimming. There are LOTS of mosquitoes everywhere in the resort. We stayed in the two bedroom cabin for two nights. The cabin was quite dirty and there were so many bugs in it such as mosquitos, spiders, flies (both alive and dead). We found spiders in our beds as well. The facilities in the room were old and with grime. We were quite disappointed at the cabin considering the high price we pay for each night (near 300 /night). We also ate at the restaurant by the lake. The food and service were pretty good but it took almost an hour for the food to come. So be prepared if you are very hungry. The lady at the front desk was very nice. However she was not very familiar with the surroundings and couldn’t even answer questions like how long it takes to get to Crater Lake or which road to take to get to I-5 (We didn’t have any cellphone signals there so had to ask her).

We had a blast! We went for the snowmobiling package. Stayed in one of the lakeside cabins. They are adorable and rustic. I had read the comments on the resort before we went and was extremely nervous. Either people have high unrealistic standards or they're just picky. These cabins aren't super high-quality but they are cozy and comfortable, and fairly clean for being cabins in the woods (you know that thing called nature) with people having to trek snow and dirt inside them. I would recommend this place to people for sure. Great place to have fun with friends and family.

We had a blast!!!! The whole family had a great experience. All the staff were very very friendly. They welcomed you as if you were part of there family. Cabins were rustic but that was expected. Plenty of blankets and pillows. We will be back again

Rooms are old and musty, still cool and decently well kept for how old they are. Service in the restaurant is different. Food is not as good as it should be for the price. Not too many allergen accommodations either. Also little space for big amounts of customers, a cool area though.
firemaniak101 — Google review
The lodging continues to go downhill. Dirty rooms, missing amminities, cobwebs in every room, (so much for extra cleaning due to pandemic protocols). No luggage stands, no light above dining/game table. Bulbs burnt out, fixtures failing and not being replaced. Oven filthy and barely works. Very expensive for run down "resort".
The lake is beautiful and the fishing was great. I probably won't be back unless they do a complete renovation.
Clint Beers — Google review
The location can't be beat. The cabins are basic, but comfortable. My kids were somewhat aghast that there was not cell coverage and no Wifi. The restaurant was OK but suffered from inadequate staffing -- not the server's fault, they were just overworked.
Steven McGeady — Google review
We stopped here after a visit to Crater Lake to grab food and hang out at the lake. It wasn't crowded at all and it was a perfect day. We had fish n chips and it was pretty good (nothing out of the ordinary).
I was disappointed though because the website wasn't updated. They still show bumper boats as an option when in fact they haven't been available for years. We were looking forward to going on them because they look fun but it's ok. Hopefully they bring them back again one day. They do offer kayaks and water bikes I believe, as well as boats for fishing. They also have paid bicycles for rent. Prices to rent are so reasonable!
It isn't a "fancy" resort by any means, so don't have that expectation. However it's a great place to hang out and relax with the family (kids, dogs, etc).
Krystal Cruz — Google review
Friendly service and nice basic restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The cabin we rented was built in the 1940s, so it wasn't in great shape, but nothing out of a nightmare. Bathrooms are tiny.
Lake is awesome. Everyone seemed to be enjoying relaxing around the lake.

Peaceful and quiet during winter. Great place to relax in the snow. Lodge is fully open with services, dinners, etc. Bring your sleds. The groomed trails allow access all over. The Crater Lake rim is a 20-30 minute ride.

This is the best place to take the kids for a fun romp in the snow. We love tubing and riding on the snow CAT to the pizzeria. The restaurant has really improved. There were yummy salads with fresh greens, a mean patty melt, and a delicious chicken club sandwich. 😋

This is truly one of the best resorts we have in Oregon! This is truly a family friendly resort! And absolutely amazing with special needs children. Taking time out of their busy schedules to truly make your stay or dinner absolutely wonderful! Went to the Christmas dinner tonight, and my austic son decided it was time to sound off (he’s nonverbal) and instead of being met with ignorance and hatred. Their truly kind staff member/ manager. Not only spoke with our son, but took him and his much older sister out to the deck right next to us to play back and fourth, on a closed off porch. So that we could enjoy our dinner! And just to speak on dinner the prime rib was amazing and the amount of food that was offered for the buffet was delicious. I will be going back here and bringing more friends with us!

We stayed in a cabin and rented a boat for the day. Found the fish and caught our limit. Had a fish fry that evening. The weather was incredible, and the stay was cozy. Only thing missing was a fire pit- but we understand.

We just day visited. They have a nice grass area that leads down to a "beach" with a swimming area. Nice little gift shop. They also rent watercraft by half and full day. I forgot to take pictures.

The location of this place is amazing given that it's right on the lake and so close to Crater Lake, this is really the only reason they are able to charge so much. I stayed here September 2023 and it was fine for one night but don't expect much. There is no art on the walls, cobwebs + spiders everywhere, and outdated bedding.

As we pulled up we started singing Camp Granada. Its like a time warp to the 1960's. I felt like I was visiting a camp from my childhood. The buildings were from different eras and very camp style.
The setting on the lake is spectacular. The lake is surrounded by mountains and Forrest.
Our room was spartan but clean. The former man cave 4x8 wood panels were painted white. It stands out because there is no art work.
The glued lam wood ceiling is amazing. Completely unexpected architectural feature. Like a 1950's church celling.
The bath was large and very nice. The bed was comfortable. The heater worked fast.
We had a nice dinner on the restaurant patio while watching the sunset.
We had a great time

Stopped here for dinner and breakfast. There was a full bar, well stocked store, beach access, docks, and rentals for canoes, party barges, paddle boats, and paddle boards.
The food was very good, but service was kind of slow. Very friendly staff, though! I highly recommend the Rainbow Trout and the Chicken Pot Pie.

Diamond lake is a fantastic place to spend the day or a week! The lake has clear water and there are a number of spots to go in for a swim. Whether you’re tent camping, RV camping, or saying at the lodge, it’s always been a great experience for us. The service at the store/lodge is fairly good… it’s a “small town” type of environment/vibe, so staff may come off as a bit grumpy or like they don’t give much of a d*mn, but they do try their best to provide a great experience to their guests.

I Will Never Stay Here Again…
First I want to note it was not their fault that the power was out… but they are massively under prepared. I rented 3 of the fire side cabins. 51, 52, 53. When I get to the resort I find out that they changed my reservation I made 3 months ago with out any notice. I ended up with cabins 51, 56, and 65 NOW my family was all separated. They did not accommodate for no power nor did they offer me a refund or ANYTHING. They gave us 4 bundles of fire per day which did not last. When we asked for more wood they said we would have to buy it from the store. We had freezing cabins by 3 am. On top of all that we had tubing tickets that I can’t get a refund for either because apparently you can’t access the tubing when they have no power. They suggested I rescheduled the tubing with their third-party company that sells their tickets. NO i never want near this place again!!! If you wanna throw away $2,500 this is your place.

A winter wonderland with Tubing, snowmobiling, and skiing. We were focused on backcountry skiing on Mt Bailey. Numerous summits and copious powder were had. Currently they are rebuilding their cat skiing programn. The snomobile shop helped fix a binding issue on my teleskis. The Lodge is old timey and not luxury. The affordability reflected this.
Volcanic island with a 6,933-ft. conical hill & hiking trails, reachable by summertime boat tours.
The hike to the boat dock and also the hike up and down the Wizard Island cinder cone was challenging. The final obstacle was the climb up from Cleetwood Cove, we succeeded with patience and arrived happy hikers back to the trailhead. It's good to be back in Oregon.

On this magical and mystical island lives one of the greatest and most skilled wizards around. I went to this island hoping to find gold and I found diamond, the wizard is such a kind soul who made special magic tea and biscuits. I learned a few spells from the wizard but I must say that he is truely gifted and without a doubt the best wizard I have come across. The island itself is beautiful and well kept sanctuary. Such a wonderful, magical and mystical island. The lovely wizard prances around with his long beard and cloak making the island a paradise.

Crater Lake features two small islands. Wizard Island, is near the western edge of the lake, (and views of it are accessible from the Rim Drive) is a cinder cone approximately 316 acres in size. It is separated from the caldera wall by Skell Channel. The other island is Phantom Ship. Wizard Island's s tallest point is 6,940 feet, but it looks small compared to the height of the caldera. It is also accessible from the water by boat trip and private fishing craft. (Inquire about these at the Visitor Center).

No access to this part of Crater Lake during covid. But how it came about after the lake had formed is pretty cool.

Nice little cinder cone on crater lake, the lava flow created the rest of the island, you have to take a boat in order to get to the island, lots of dead trees in the crater. The island has no wildlife and pretty remote, there is actually many cinder cones in crater lake however this is the only one that is above the lakes surface

Crater Lake is the real 5star here. The visitor center is fine. Typical overpriced National Park gear to buy in the gift shops. Didn't have any issues with the park rangers or staff. Some of the buildings are in the process or being updated or renovated. Some of the grounds too, so some places are not accessible. But people come here for the amazing view of the lake. The Rim Village buildings are decent amenities.

This was a great experience. Walls of snow all the way around but all the roads were completely clear. It was an amazing sight to see. They have the gift shop and diner open. Once you climb on top of the snow wall to get a picture that's when the wind kicks in. Make sure you dress warm and have shoes with some grip.

Visited on a weekend in mid June, 2023. Nice little visitors center. But the real action is right outside. Crater Lake is just breath taking beauty. Worth the trip to see this marvel of nature.
They had roads closed because of excess snow. In mid June. But it's not surprising seeing how much snow we had seen driving in before entering the park.

It's 30$ for a car load for 7 days. It's magnificent, it was the most beautiful lake I've ever seen. It's 30+ miles around the lake, there are viewpoints and other cool things to see even a spot to go down to the water. Yes, you can swim in the lake. It's just extremely cold bc the lake is made up of rain water and melted ice. There's also a tour boat to take you to the island. Most definitely worth the trip and money!!!

I visited this area on New Years Day… it was an amazing winter wonderland! I will be back in summer to explore the rest of the park, but winter will be hard to beat!
Just know that the rim road and much of the park is closed down or extremely hard to visit in the winter months due to heavy seasonal snowfall

Nice gift shop! Went to Crater Lake and it was really foggy, we were planning on sticking around most of the day and we were glad we did because it cleared up beautifully. We also hiked to the bottom of the Crater, not for the faint of heart. Going down was easy, coming back was definately hard for this out of shape traveler and left me out of breath.

Friends said- There's no place quite like Crater Lake! And they didn't exagerate. We happened to be at Rim Village just for the few moments when the lake's surface was mirror smooth, with the sky reflected in the water. I was speechless. (And I've done a lot of traveling in the world, and seen much of the beauty...This was stunning.) Make sure that Crater Lake is on your bucket list... and be patient, you may get a view reflected on the lake surface. There is on hiking path down to the lake, but unless you are an experienced, fit hiker, I suggest you content yourself with views from the rim. AND I got a hat.

Visited Crater Lake with family in 1968. Blown away as a kid by the size, the beauty and the idea a volcano had blown up leaving a lake on a mountain top. Moving to Oregon recently I have visited twice in non-peak times to enjoy the area without all the people. Something I picked up living for years in Wyoming. The drive to the area goes through fabulous national forests making the drive worth the time even without the lake. I think the next visit will include a stay at the grand hotel during the summer even with all the visitors. Included are photos from winter and the fall. Bring chains in the winter!!

Incredible views of the lake after you walk past the gift shop. There is more parking past the initial lot. There is also a lookout point that was built into the side of mountain that has breathtaking views.

Crater Lake National Park, Rim Village, OR 97604, USA
On Day 8 of your trip, consider an early start to visit Crater Lake, Oregon's most famous national park. Located about 1.5 hours from Bend/Sunriver, the northern entrance offers a full day of exploration. For accommodation, Melitas Crater Lake is situated 44 kilometers from the park's south entrance and provides various amenities including Wi-Fi and outdoor picnic areas. The main attraction is the stunning lake, but there are also numerous activities to enjoy within the park.
When we visited Crater Lake National Park it was just starting to thaw around the lake. The snow was still piled high around the parking lot so it was difficult to navigate and get to many of the areas. That being said, it was still worth going out to see the park. It truly is breathtaking to see in person and the vast size of the lake is amazing. I wish we would have come at sunset or sunrise to see how the reflections of the lake change as I am sure that is quite the sight to see! This is a great day adventure by yourself or with the family and there is plenty of other wilderness around the park to make the trip even better.

I'm only writing this review and posting these pics because I want people to know how beautiful Crater Lake is. What I like about this area of Oregon is how you can hit Salt Creek Falls and Vivian Falls/lake, Deschutes River, and Crater Lake all in the area. Crater Lake is probably the most beautiful Park I've been too and I travel a lot. I hope you are able to get out there as well.

Incredible in spring as well.
We stopped by at noon because we were driving by. It was very snowy and since we didn’t have any snow shoes and limited time we didn’t hike far but the snow ramp had amazing views anyway. If you want to hike, definitely bring snow shoes.

Crater Lake should be on everyone's bucket list of places to see. It is truly an unbelievable site. Be sure to check the weather before you go to the Crater Lake and check if entry points are closed. I went on October 1st, and it snowed that day, and the northern entrance was closed. We drove to the southern entrance, and everything was open so we were good. Just be prepared when planning a trip here.

I have visited this national park 3 times. It's a new experience every time! A great time to visit is late spring, as you can still enjoy the snow at milder temperatures. Clear skies in late spring really show off that sapphire blue. To enjoy more hiking trails, then come in early summer. Many trails are still closed in springtime, however there are less visitors during April and May. Oregon state and private campgrounds can be found at lower elevations if camping at the NP are full.

Beautiful lake. Lodge has restaurant, but they stop serving food between 2 and 3 pm. Trolley tours sold separately and seemed a bit pricey if you have a family. Take a jacket or sweater since it is windy and chilly.

Outstanding place to visit with friends and family. The views are spectacular and well worth the trip. We took the trolley which you have to reserve at least a day prior and then pay, check in and hop in. It takes 2hrs with multiple stops for the trolley to show you all the amazing views and tell you about the history of the park. I highly recommend this location.

This place is amazing and totally worth it. Be sure to check the weather conditions to ensure the roads are ok. We went in March and there was still snow.

Crater Lake is one of those known but overlooked national parks it seems. The park itself is not super big and you can see most of the main areas in a half day whish is nice.
One thing to track is road closures as this park will sometimes get a lot of snow and have limited access till late summer. Those with kids will find some fun activities in the lower visitor center. Also don't forget to get the JR. ranger packet so the kids can earn there park ranger badge by completing the items in the book.
If visiting Crater Lake, make sure to check out some of the caves in the area as this was once a hot spot for volcanos so there are lots of spelunking opportunities. Note: make sure to pack good flashlights (torch for the England types) as these caves are DARK and your cell phone will not do much.
Adam Cook — Google review
Awesome experience! If you have the chance to take the ranger guided snow shoe tour, do it! The actual access to the lake was closed due to 14 feet of snow fall overnight.

Crate Lake is a sight to behold.. It is so crystal clear that it is like a mirror to look at. As such the clouds and such just reflect off the water to give you some spectacular views and pictures. There is still snow in places in mid June, 2023. Rim Drive was closed because of snow on the road. So our access was limited. But what we got to see was worth it.
It can be a little daunting having to sit in line and wait for access to the park sometimes. But it is very much worth the wait.
There is a gift shop and restaurant at the park entrance off or route 62. It has restrooms and a gift shop. But it also has a small restaurant that has more quick food. There is a visitors center up at the lake itself. And of course the crater lake lodge.
I can't say enough how the views at crater lake make it a place you really should see. It was one of the nicest places we've seen on our trip around the country.

Crater Lake was more than worth the stop. I wish I could've taken a boat tour down within the crater itself, but I'll look to next time for that. The view from the rim was absolutely breathtaking and pristine. It is vast and peacefully quiet, truly like looking upon a piece of art within a museum.

Super cool place to visit, not far from highway and intense blue color of the water is very different from what is usually the color we see bodies of water.
Also there are many many spots to pull over at, so you can do it all by car if you wanted.
This was one of the highlights of my trip.

Awesome, as always. The eastern section of the park was closed for road work. The place could use a few more restrooms at the viewpoints. The usual amount of Darwin Award candidates were present, standing on the edge beyond the signs and fences.

Great place to visit if you love nature! We really enjoyed ourselves here, although the food at the Rim Lodge was expensive and they didn't have all the stuff on the menu!

I have been meaning to come to this park for a decade, and it just hasn't happened. I'm glad I finally made it. It is a beautiful place to be, and you really don't get the same experience looking at photos. Right now, the East rim is shut down for the next few years, to repave it and make it safer.
If you want to be able to see inside the visitor center, which has more educational material, that is only open between may and August, so we missed it. There is a park ranger on hand if you have questions or want to get more information, but he was very reluctant to answer any questions. I found this odd as that is the reason he stands there, next to the visitor center.
Dogs are allowed on leash as long as they are well-behaved. Unfortunately, while we were there, there were a couple of older ladies who had wire-haired terriers of some kind, who were dog vicious... even if on leash. Our dog tripped over herself, trying to get away when they lunged at her, and the older ladies clearly were not in control and struggled to pull those dog aggressive terriers back physically.. I could hear that they were using shock collars, but the dogs were ignoring it. I was very disappointed to see the park rangers did not intervene or say one word to the ladies with the vicious dogs.
There are banded chipmunks running all over the place, and they will try to steal your food from you.
Gift shop is all China important junk. As is typical, it is all extremely overpriced. The bathrooms are outside of the gift shop in a building by themselves next to the paved walkpath with the viewpoints of crater Lake. There is also an interpretive area giving you more education about the area, the lake, and all the volcanoes in the area, down a steep, paved decline, and some steps. I found out that the center has been there since nineteen-thirty, so some of those steps are rather uneven, and they can be a trip hazard, as some of the patrons experienced heading back up.
Overall, it was a fun and interesting place to see once.

We went in early June. Still lots of snow and the north side of rim drive was still closed. With the north side closed you can't get on any of the boat tours either. If you want to do some hiking or get on a boat I'd recommend July or Aug. What a wonderful place.

Purest water 💧 in a natural water body!
Crater Lake is a stunning natural wonder located in the South Oregon. It's known for its vibrant deep blue color.
The lake fills the caldera of Mount Mazama, which is a volcano that collapsed thousands of years ago.
There are no rivers or streams that flow into or out of Crater Lake. It's primarily fed by precipitation, and the water is exceptionally pure.
It's the deepest lake in the United States, with a maximum depth of approximately 1,943 feet (592 meters).
The park offers various outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, and scenic drives. Wizard Island, a volcanic cinder cone, is a popular attraction within the lake.
Crater Lake is surrounded by diverse flora and fauna, and it's a beautiful place for nature enthusiasts and photographers.

What an amazing place! Loads of hikes, phenomenal scenery, the purest water you've ever seen!! Full of birds, butterflies, chipmunks, and squirrels; it's nature's paradise. Go for the day, or go for the week. Your $30 pass is good for 7 days!
So much to see and do. There are gift shops, restaurants, hiking trails, and even a lodge.
Although many bring their pets/dogs, be aware that they are not allowed inside places like the gift shops and restaurants. They are also not allowed on some of the steep lookouts or trails. And even on a 70-degree day, it's way too hot for your pet to be left inside your car. Keep in mind that the elevation is 7,000 feet. So, although the air temp may not be really hot, you are much closer to the sun, and your dog will overheat in the car literally, in a matter of minutes.
The views are stunning. You won't want to miss it!
