Husband and I came here from Illinois, we couldn't WAIT to visit this place! It was so freaking awesome to be inside the racetrack and also to see all the history inside the museum. Our whole family had a great time! Next time for sure we will go earlier so we can go on one of the tours!

Though I'm not a racing enthusiast, I still thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Speedway Museum! We added the Kiss The Bricks tour to our day and it was well worth it. It was very informational and gave a great look into the track itself.
The staff was some of the nicest I have ever interacted with at a museum. Right, when we walked in we were greeted and they helped us plan out our day to fit our interests. They truly made the experience even better!

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum delivered an unforgettable journey into the world of racing history. Our visit was filled with memorable moments, from experiencing a lap on the legendary track and seeing the iconic bricks up close, to immersing ourselves in the museum's comprehensive exhibits that beautifully narrate the full racing history. The museum proudly showcases two cars listed on the National Historic Vehicles register, highlighting their significant role in the racing world. The gift shop offers a wide selection of merchandise catering to all racing enthusiasts. The museum staff were exceptional, providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance throughout our visit. The only minor suggestion for improvement would be to relocate the buses from the fountain area, as it would enhance the photo opportunities in that picturesque spot. We were thrilled to find the Borg-Warner Trophy available for photos, along with the chance to sit in a racing car and enjoy the simulators. Our experience at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum was nothing short of fantastic, with the staff being the highlight of our trip.
Join as a team member for the best value on seeing the museum and saving at the gift shop plus many other perks! Give yourself time here we spent 5 hours and it was not enough! Can't wait to go back, since we are members we can as many times as we would like for the year which is great for all the changing exhibits they have.

The museum was very well laid out. I enjoyed looking at the cars, the winner wall and the other things in the displays. We chose to take the tour too and really enjoyed seeing some of the 'race day' behind the scenes areas up close. Our tour guides were fun and knowledgeable and I learned all sorts if interesting trivia. Frankly, not a fan, but still overall enjoyable.

I came here right before the remodel for the first time. I had a great experience and prices were cheap. The building was very clean and organized. We bought the tour bus tickets and got to kiss the bricks and take photos with pagoda from the track. The tour guide was very nice. We also went to the gift shop. They had a very wide variety of items that were fairly inexpensive

Excellent hands on experience of the most famous racetrack in the world. Took a bus tour of the track (unfortunately only at 20 MPH), got to kiss the bricks. Took a tour of the museum. They say every car starts up and runs. You can try to break a speed record in their video game race game (free). Price breaks on active military, veterans and seniors.

Great tour of the facility. We did the tram tour with 3 kids and it entertained them too. The museum has plenty of old cars to look at and examine. The information about the history is amazing! Ferrari’s were on the track the day we where there and sounded amazing.

Unfortunately, the museum is under renovation and is not set to open until April 2025. We did receive a tour of the grounds, the 'Winner's Circle', the Pagoda, and we were able to go to the gift shop. We were only here 30-45 minutes.

Enjoyed my visit at the Indianapolis Speedway Museum! Not really into the Indy 500, but wanted to stop anyway. It was really interesting to see the exhibit and cars of past years winners.

Even if you're not a racing enthusiast, you'll enjoy this stop. We added the tour to our package and it was well worth the additional charge. The guide was great, shared his life experiences as a Indy 500 fan which made the tour much more informative. Only item which couldn't be included was the speedway lap because it was in use by Chevy running Corvette test trials. Museum has many of the past winning cars and an interactive area with racing simulators.

Awesome experience if you are a race car fan.
The toure around the track was really good.
Lot of things to do. Plan to spend at least 2 hrs. It would still be a rush.
Sanket Lopes — Google review
Had a great time visiting. Take a moment to get into a real Indy race car, plus a free 4-lap virtual qualifier was a good time. The main exhibit is smaller compared to similar (vintage) we have been in around the US, but it was still a great stop to make

Way cool! If you even remotely like cars this is a spot to go. They have cars from almost every era. The staff are friendly and plenty of things to see and do.
They had neat simulators to try when I visited, super fun! The tour was informative and interactive, was told all the cars here function as well regardless of the date. They host team builder events too.
Was definitely worth the visit.

A neat tour about the history of the speedway. You can take an on-track tour of the race course. They let you out at the starting line and give you a chance to "kiss the bricks" and take photos. Inside the museum has many displays that tell about the history of the speedway. There are many cars on display that won previous races as well.

While temporarily closed, they are still doing tours when available. Took a great tour of the pagoda and got to see views of the track I’ve never seen before. Tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly answering all my questions. Seemed to be well organized even though they just changed locations due to closure of museum.

If you are any kind of a race fan this is one of the most iconic tracks in the world! Unfortunately the museum is closed but we took the tour and visited the gift shop. Our tour guides were great and made the tour even more fun. We got to visit the winners podium and suites. There also happen to be a test of the new electric Hummers going on so we did get to see some of that. Overall great experience and I hope to come back for a race day and when the museum reopens.

What a fun experience! Definitely recommend the Kiss the Bricks tour! Buy tickets in advance! Give yourself a few hours to spend at the IMS! On the KtB tour, they take you on a 45 minute narrated tour around the 2.5 mile track and provide you with a wealth of history along the way! Once you arrive at the bricks (finish line), you’re allowed to exit the bus and take photographs, and even kiss the bricks like the tradition is for the winner of the Indy 500! The museum is awesome too! Many of the vehicles used to race are on display. There are interactive exhibits as well! At the end, there is a large gift shop with tons of items to purchase. We definitely recommend doing this tour if you’re ever anywhere near Indy or Speedway!

I came into the tour and museum with basically zero racing knowledge. I learned quite a bit about the history of racing and particularly the history of the Indy 500. I found it fun and informative and felt that the staff rolled out the red carpet for our group (we were there with the FFA during National Convention week).

The IMS Museum of "old" was a must visit for any motorsports fan, history buff, or Indiana native. It has always had cool up close displays of Indy 500 winning race cars, & cool Pace Cars from the Brickyard 400 & 500. I had to visit 1 last time before the remodel & can't wait to see the updated Museum in 2025! The staff has always been very friendly & knowledgeable about the displays.

Great place, lots of interesting race cars and history. We did the kiss the bricks tour around the track. Museum closing November 6 2023, for remodel. Reopens in 18 months.
Marc Antoniello — Google review
While the museum closed on Nov 5, 2023 for renovations which will take 18 months to complete, they will still be offering tours of the race track, which was a highlight of our visit. You can even walk across the finish line and kiss the fabled bricks.

I thought that I was not a big fun of auto racing until we visited this museum. I bought tickets in advance, just wanted to entertain my boys. When we came to museum we were offered an extra guided tour to the racetrack, Victory Podium and the iconic Pagoda. After visiting Victory Lane. We traveled to the top of the Pagoda for a breathtaking view of the Speedway and the surrounding downtown skyline.
The museum is full of vintage cars, trophies, photographs, fine art, and other artifacts. So fascinating.
As you pull up to this place, it really feels like you’re just coming to visit some friends. And the staff treats you like they’ve known you forever as they help you make your selections. Come have a tasting, buy a flight and listen to a live band. Made for a wonderful Saturday afternoon.

Had my first visit to Blackhawk winery with three of my friends. We enjoyed ourselves drinking the wine and listening to the music of the Mulligans. Everything was fine until we reached my car. A note was taped to the driver side window. The note said, “I know what you did. I have your license plate number.” Two empty beer cans were placed under my windshield wipers.
My three friends were baffled just as I was about who would do this. One of my friends went to go get security and brought back the owner. Come to find out it was the actual owner of Blackhawk winery that had written the note and had placed the beer cans underneath my windshield wipers!
The owner of the white truck, hat was parked next to me, had reported to the owner of seeing two beer cans near or under my car. During the conversation with the owner about what had happened, the owner assumed that they belong to the driver of the car and he admitted to placing the beer cans underneath my windshield wipers as well as taping the note to my window. The owner of Blackhawk winery went on to explain how frustrated he was with the amount of trash left on the grounds each time they have these free events. I pointed out to him that anyone could have thrown the beer cans underneath or near my car. Just because they were near my car does not make it that they belong to me. I said a note would’ve been fine, but for him to place the beer cans underneath my windshield wipers was vandalism and unacceptable. He said it was not a smart move, but even though I explained to him that I do not drink beer, he still felt that I had left the empty beer cans on the ground instead of placing them in a trashcan. His parting words were not to do it again!
After he walked away, my friends and I felt that he should’ve handled this situation much better. If you are going to run an establishment where people are going to be parking cars on your property, one should not be surprised that some trash is left behind because people can be inconsiderate by not disposing of their personal trash responsibly. Hopefully he will learn from this incident, and not make rash judgments about people, as well as taking out his frustrations on an innocent person.

What makes this winery stand apart from others is being a home away from home. It’s the homiest, camaraderie-interwoven winery I’ve been to. Husband and wife owners (John & Deb) are very personable and involved during visits; you’re more of a guest (and possibly a friend) than a customer. Wonderful wine selection (their Diamond and Cranberry wines are da BAWMB); and their internationally inspired Wee Bites events are a fun culinary trip around the world from the middle of Indiana. This is one of my favorite places in the Midwest, hands down.

Nancy is very knowledgeable about the wines and recommended multiple pairings for us. Beautiful farm and vineyard, grapes harvested right on site. I'm a sweet wine lover and Nancy broadened my horizon with a mix of Mareschal Foch (red) and Blackberry. Fantastic mix. Would highly recommend this "off the beaten path" winery.

It is just a nice place to spend an evening listening to music and enjoying a glass. Parking isn't a problem. Not too crowded. Your view is fields and the vineyard.

Nice little quaint winery. Very secluded out in the middle of the country. Out of the hustle and bustle of the city. The live music is great and the staff is great as well. I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our first visit at Blackhawk! We were greeted by Faith and she was great! She explained about each wine and we loved having our tasting😊❤ and the smoothies are amazing!! We bought some bottles of wine also. We definitely will be back! I am sharing how great you guys are to everyone! Thank you Faith! Thank you Blackhawk!!

This place is a hidden gem. I'm not big on sweet wine, but the spiced pear alone is worth the trip.
I would add a charcuterie board to the menu because I would bet good money that these wines pair with cheese well.
Traders Point Creamery is a farm where they produce their own dairy products using locally sourced ingredients. From April through October, visitors can take a self-guided tour of the property and enjoy some delicious desserts while they're there. During the summer months, parents can bring their children to visit the farm and watch them feed the cows and chickens. In addition, during the fall season, Traders Point Creamery sells ice cream in pint containers as well as cones and fro-yo.
2nd visit… we made a reservation for Friday afternoon at 1pm but looked like we needed none. we realized quickly that none of the weekend brunch specials were available on a Friday. Which we get since the business doesn’t get its weekend crowd. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the ambience and most of all the farm made classic vanilla ice cream in the orange float. The flavors and bits of cream in the ice cream were sinfully decadent. Overall we paid roughly $80 for a cheese board entree, grilled cheese sandwich and a Mac and cheese (dessert included) the price was definitely on the highest end but we were celebrating an occasion. The menu is super Americanized leaving us wanting to try more flavors but it is what is so no highlighting but no complaints!

We stopped just to see what it was about and ended up having lunch. My daughter had the kids Mac and cheese ($9) and a chocolate milk ($3.50) I LOVED the chocolate milk and her Mac and cheese was phenomenal! Very creamy! My husband and I ordered a burger ($22 each). The fries were disappointing, however the burger was the BEST burger I've ever had! It was delicious! He also had a hot apple cider with whipped cream and cinnamon sugar ($8.50) and loved it too! We did end up grabbing some ice cream from the store to take home. Also stopped by the barn to see some chickens and the cows! It was expensive in the end, but worth it and a very fun side stop. I highly recommend!

Such a lovely day and place. We started with brunch and shared the chicken and waffles with jalapeno butter & two eggs. Took the 1.5 mile farm walk ($3 each). Finished our visit off with some hand scooped ice cream.

The ONLY reason I gave this place a 4 is because I asked the waiter if the fish was farm raised or wild caught. I felt that a restaurant that highlights farm to table should know where their fish came from. The food is always exceptional and fresh and the flavors that combine is always fun to experience. The character of the restaurant alone is worth the trip. It’s gorgeous. I’ll continue to return.

Lovely evening out with the hubby and this was a delightful experience. It's a pretty small restaurant so I'm glad I reserved a table on OpenTable. Rustic atmosphere and nice staff. The food was good. I'm a foodie so I have to say it's nothing that I would particularly rave about, especially for the price point. But like I said it was a good experience and everything was fine.
The bread was yummy, but kind of felt like something that should come with the meal rather than having to pay $8 extra for it. The mussels were really tasty. The swordfish was very good, but the accompaniments didn't enhance or really go with the dish at all. My husband's steak was cooked correctly and he enjoyed the char on the outside. All in all a good night, definitely glad to have finally tried this place.

I went there with my 18 month old & 4 year old granddaughters. The farm store was quaint and well stocked. The girls loved petting the cows. We stayed until it was milking time and we were the only people there, so we had an up close and personal time. The farmer was super friendly and answered a ton of questions. We then went to the Dairy Bar and had some ice cream. It was so good! We ended up purchasing 2 chocolate milk bottles and 2 pints of ice cream (strawberry & coffee chocolate chip). We will be definitely be going back.

Took my 8 year old for the first time. She LOVED the dairy bar ice cream, feeding baby cows, and playing in the sand next to the pond. The staff was incredible. Fantastic afternoon.
Kids menu is limited but reasonably priced. Adult meals are delicious but a little expensive. Chicken and waffles was good. Paying $6 to walk the grounds seemed odd but feeding the cows made it worth it.

Absolutely beautiful atmosphere and the food was fantastic as well!
The service was impeccable, friendly and helpful.
We look forward to coming back for dinner and a tour around the farm.
The blue cheese was the best I’ve ever had.

Lovely place for brunch or a small intimate event. Pretty outdoor spaces and organic food. Definitely worth a visit. We called in for brunch which was fine. Lost a star for cold coffee and potatoes. I had eggs Benedict my husband has chicken and waffles. Great service.

My wife and I are fans of farm to table concepts. This was our first true experience and it was delectable. We went for Saturday brunch. The location is nestled beside the creek and tall trees (if you choose to trail the farm). Chicken and waffles were delicious. And my wife was happy with her mushroom and cheese loaded omelette. Freshness of the food was evident in its taste and later on we had a nice walk along the path around the farm and open grazing fields. It also has a small store where you can buy fresh products.

Love traders point creamery. Great place for weddings and engagement shoots. Was recently there to capture a proposal and it was a lot of fun. Plus, the restaurant there has great food. I love seeing all the cows whenever I visit.

This farm-style restaurant is just breathtaking! The building, the decoration and setting, the friendly and attentive staff are few of the things that made me and my famly love this place. Then, there is the food...OMG!!! The freshness, the combination of flavors, the taste... Absolutely superb! We were on vacation and decided to try something different; so happy, pleased and delighted we found this unique and exquisite place!

Traders Point Creamery was delightful with its charming ambiance, friendly staff, and the fresh quality of their menu
The cheese and meat board was a great way to start our dining experience. The kitchen staff went above and beyond, providing a thorough explanation of each item’s origin, sourcing, and preparation.
The short rib is a true melt-in-your-mouth delight, was served over a bed of garden-fresh vegetables
Our waiter made the recommendation of pairing the pumpkin pasta with salmon and he was spot-on. The salmon, a thick and perfectly cooked fillet, at only $9 extra was well worth it.
To complement the meal, I highly recommend trying the Mandarin Cardamom Refresher. It’s a unique and delicious non-alcoholic option.
This was our first time here. My only recommendation is to ask to be seated inside. We didn’t know and ended up on the covered balcony area. It was dark and a little chilly, but perhaps my only complain of the night was paying $150 for a dinner that was served on cheap patio tables. It did not match the rest of the quality or attention to detail. The tables inside looked nice, and next time we’ll be sure to request that.
4.9/ 5 stars

Hands down, the creamery has some of the best brunch, best service, and best atmosphere in town! The staff were both courteous and accommodating- particularly re: food allergies.
Additionally all the dairy-based products (from butter, to frosting, to cheese, and ice cream) are made in house- and it shows. This Nut-free reviewer approves! ☺️

This place might be ok as a restaurant, but as an outdoor wedding reception venue there is a lot of room for improvement. I felt very bad for the bride, she was served her food last. There were a lot of flies, which I guess should be expected with a dairy farm, but I feel like the problem could have been solved if they install ceiling fans on the barn porch. There were also wooden beams on either side of the porch which impede serving and guest movement. Speaking of service, I’m not sure if they’re short staffed, but assigning two servers to a wedding party is too few, guests were having to clear empty glasses and dishes from the table. The weird speech from staff about the ingredients before dinner was unnecessary for a wedding. We had thought they had forgotten dessert because it was pretty delayed. The food was ok, the salad needed more dressing and the green beans needed less nutritional yeast or whatever was on them but overall ok, which is why this place gets two stars instead of one, in addition to the lovely scenery. The table setting was nice, but I’m not sure how much was because of the wonderful job by the bride’s sister and not the actual venue. Also, the water in the glass bottles on the table tasted awful, not sure what that was about. I don’t recommend the chocolate martini, it’s just chocolate milk and vodka, not a great combo, and really attracted the flies. This is not a handicap friendly venue either, guests have to walk uphill to the restaurant for restrooms.
Eagle Creek Park is a huge park located in Indianapolis, Indiana. It has plenty of trails and activities for tourists to enjoy, such as hiking, biking, fishing and more.
Many great areas for hikes. Small lake has path around. I liked the idea of a ropes type area, often not seen in a park. Also have nature center and a very unusual climbing structure. Beautiful place to see fall colors! Lots of picnic areas and ramadas. Canoe, kayak and pontoon rentals. This place has it all!

A great place to hike! Visited the place around 5:30 late in the evening and it was lovely! The weather was lovely and we did the blue trail which was around 3.25 miles and it covered the Lilly pond and one other which where lovely!
One should definitely plan a picnic or sorts and the place has great infrastructure for the same as well! Must visit if in the area.
Entrance: For people in and around the place it’s $5 and if there is someone not from the nearby county it’s $6. Usually North gate is the place you end up at if you coming from the state highway. Do get a map at the gate for better navigation
Trails: As I explored it on foot, we understood that there were three trails for hiking. The longest was around 5 miles (blue trail); followed by red trail around 3.25 miles ans the smallest being green of approx 2 miles There is a great trail for biking as well.

I am surprised I had not been to this park until recently. It seems peace and natural beauty can be found in central Indiana, assuming you do not mind the occasional plane engine or jet noise fading in and out overhead. It is dog friendly, has restrooms readily available, and the cleanliness stands out the most. Unfortunately, this park does not allow bikes on trails. For those who ride MTB, we are stuck with either driving to Brown County Park or using the local Town Run Trail Park for our fix.

I love Eagle Creek. What can I say? There are deer, birds, tons of options for trails, great views of the water. There aren't many strenuous hikes but, if you choose carefully, you can find a trail that isn't much-used and you won't pass another person. Great place for dogs on leashes, but be warned that the large deer population means ticks are rampant-- check yourself and your furry friends if you visit!

It's always well taken care of the layout of the hiking trails are very nice and the map is amazing we have been to several parks we're hiking is extremely hard because the map is not laid out right and you can get lost easily. Far exceeded my expectations! In town for a conference & had some extra time. Started on the red loop (6 miles). Stopped at the marina & saw they had kayaks to rent, so did that for 2 hours. Saw a ton of birds & turtles. Finished with the rest of the red loop. Marina has a good selection of drinks & snacks. Water faucets scattered throughout the park. Highly recommend!

We're here for the eclipse. A lot of of the restrooms have just been opened up and not fully cleaned yet (they did warn us), but they did set up porto potties that seem clean and functional. It's early season for parks, but everything seems pretty well maintained. Several nice playgrounds, trails, picnic areas. A bit muddy in the areas, but it's spring - that's what parks are like this time of year.

This park is one of Indy's best gems. Miles of wooded, dirt paths wind you through pines and other new and old-growth trees. I love that they pepper benches through at beautiful overlooks around the trail that goes around the Ornithology Center. There are miles of marked trails, though they can be a little confusing sometimes. You can always just make your way back to the water. There are also kayak rentals and a launch point. It's a beautiful place.

I visited the park during the 2024 eclipse and had a fantastic experience. All of the staff were so nice and helpful. This park is beautiful and it was fun driving thru the property to see everything that was there. The night before the eclipse, the park manager sent out an email with addresses, important information, and even a video of a staff member driving to the park to make it clear where to go. This was a really nice touch, their effort to go above and beyond made for a really great experience. Thank you!

I'm a bit of a wine connoisseur. I love trying new wines from different areas and have been to wineries all across the country. This place was one of my favorites.
We were in town for a convention, but since the winery was so close to the hotel at which we were staying, we decided to visit one evening. We were not disappointed!
They do not offer just a few of their wines to taste - you can try any of the many wines they sell. They divide their wine list into two categories - dry and sweet. Both my friend and I prefer sweet wines, so we decided to each get a tasting which included five wines for $5 then we each tried a dessert wine for $3. The tasting portions were incredibly generous. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the wines.
The wine quality was fantastic and very reasonably priced. I'm accustomed to paying nearly twice as much for a similar quality. Needless to say, my friend and I got a case of wine to bring back to the east coast with us.
We'll definitely be planning on coming back when/ if we're in the area again.

We went to the Friday Food Truck event. All the food trucks were great, lots to choose from for dinner. The winery was busy as expected but the lady that handled our tasting seemed very interested in socializing with employees rather than being helpful, preoccupied. While other wineries we have visited were very attentive and helpful. All grapes used to make their wines are from California. I would prefer local vineyard support.

Nice place to just go and enjoy some wine with friends. The staff is always so nice and very helpful. They have music on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer which is always nice to go and enjoy with friends and family. They also do speical events for holidays and have an event room upstairs for party's or what have you. Definitely should stop by to check it out. The wines are always changing too, so you can always expect something new to pop up.

They sold out and fired the entire staff. They don't even make the wine there anymore. My original review was five star. Written as(Only thing better than the wine is the staff that Joy has put together here. Had a great experience!) But I won't be back now.

We went for the wine tasting. The place was busy, but Kevin moved from group to group and kept us entertained. We found a wine we did not care for, so he gave us another one to try. We had never done this, but enjoyed ourselves and are planning our next trip to do it again. Hopefully, we can get a group to go.
Martinsville Candy Kitchen is more than just candy canes. Their chocolates are extremely delicious. Salted Caramels, Turtles, Mud Balls, Clusters and more. And so many different flavors of candy canes. They are all delicious too.
We stopped by for butterscotch chocolates, candies and Valentine's candy canes. Delicious as always.
The best is the caramel. It is a deep golden color, chewy and sweet. You just can't have one because it is so delicious.
My and family and I had a great experience watching and learning about candy cane making. It was truly fascinating, and the aroma of fresh peppermint filled the air. We were able to enjoy fresh and warm peppermint candies.

Quaint old-fashioned candy shop and ice cream counter. Super friendly staff. Viewing area to watch their infamous candy canes being made. (Demonstration sporadic - could call ahead to learn schedule) variety of flavors and designs throughout year. We just picked up Sassafras- and Wintergreen-flavored green shamrocks. Huge selection of homemade candies plus some outsourced favorites. Prices reasonable given homemade treats. Personalizing a box of chocolates is ideal.
(Google Maps kept directing us to Post Office. However, Martinsville Candy Kitchen is located on west side of downtown square)

The candy is super good. Best part is the staff. Really nice people. They go the "extra step" to be friendly and helpful. We go every year a Christmas time (they have Santa and candy cane making). Even our teenagers still look forward to this!

Where to begin! We went to the candy kitchen based on several word of mouth recommendations. My family and I were in awe of the history, class, and warmth of the establishment! We met the owner John, and he and the young lady with him provided us with top-notch service! We came in strangers and left out friends! The ice cream, candy, and assortment of nuts were delicious! We highly recommend this business!

Great selection of chocolate and ice cream with decent pricing. After walking around the square of Martinsville its a good place to have desert. Staff was very nice and helpful if you want to try new things. They also have a cool selection of knick knacks

Super cute candy shop! And they have ice cream. We went for the first time today. Excited for some candy from a local shop. Well this place has been around for 100 years and they know exactly how to treat customers to keep them coming back. We had a scoop of ice cream each and sat in the quaint shop. Our candy enthusiast helped me pick a sweet treat as well as sample a couple ice creams before we decided on our favorite. My only regret is that I didn’t get a candy cane but we will return another day. The staff made this experience exceptional and will be back on our next adventure!!

The Candy Kitchen is a wonderful & family friendly place to go and have some delicious treats with a warming atmosphere. I personally want to thank them for having us yesterday to do my daughter & her boyfriends Prom Photos, and being so welcoming, because it made for some gorgeous photos. Near or far this place is worth the visit, and you won't be disappointed, and you won't leave without wanting some of their amazing chocolates, warm Cashews, or even one of their fantastic Milkshakes. Thanks again for letting us make beautiful memories there yesterday that we'll cherish for a lifetime!

Wonderful visit with so many hand made chocolates & known for their hand made candy canes-- order EARLY in the season tho!!! Viewing window where you can watch candy be made several times a day. They also have ice cream and other goodies. Super friendly and personal service! My first visit here lived up to all the hype!
Just visited again & lived the huge selection today! Super friendly& helpful... answered my questions & on my way home!💜
Joined my sons' class on a field trip. We enjoyed the wide variety of apples and seeing the chestnut trees. The playground is very nice and the shop had a lot of options. The big pumpkin I bought was very reasonable and looks great on my porch. I would definitely recommend and will be visiting again!

Spent the day with friends. While they picked apples, I enjoyed some fresh apple cider, and a caramel apple. Walked the grounds, and enjoyed seeing all the products they had to offer.
The frozen fruit, and vegetable section was a plus.
Looking forward to another visit.

Picked Apples, had a great time as always. Friendly staff, very well laid out place, dare I say huge even. I mean the shop is big enough you don't feel crowded even if they are busy. The Orchard is Huge, so many varieties of Apples.

We visited Anderson Orchard in the fall, and I cannot recommend it enough!! We visited on a Sunday afternoon. It was crowded but not overly crowded. There was plenty of parking in the lot. Walking through the orchards was a blast and the live music made it so fun. We tried the apple cobbler, caramel apples, apple cider slush, and fried biscuits with apple butter. It was all so delicious, but the fried biscuits were are favorite! I wish we lived closer so we could visit Anderson Orchard every fall.

This place was everything we had hoped for. Just happened to stop by when they were doing their Octoberfest weekend. Soooo many different fruits and vegetables to purchase. Plus canned goods like jams, local honey, apple butter, vegetables and salsas. We walked away with so much produce for very little cost. They had a concession stand that made apple pie, cobbler, apple cider slushies and elephant ears. I will be coming back here again.

I went towards the end of apple picking season but there was still a wide selection of apple tree varieties to pick from. This is a sprawling orchard that you can walk, bike or drive through. I recommend walking. Once you’re done, you can purchase local items, and eat at the concession section. Everything is reasonably priced and this is a great activity for friends or family. This was my first time apple picking and it’s fun!

Highly recommend! Produce is amazing! Extremely reasonable pricing and so many options. I live 2 minutes down the road from apple works and would rather drive here to Anderson. Apple works has went down hill since new owner took over. Go to Anderson instead!

Our apple-picking experience at Anderson Orchard was absolutely wonderful! The orchard's sprawling apple trees were full with ripe, juicy apples waiting to be plucked on the tree and in the barn. The joy of handpicking our own apples was exciting, and the staff was incredibly helpful, offering tips and smiles throughout our visit. The crisp autumn air, the scent of apples, and the laughter of fellow pickers created a perfect day. We left with bags full of delicious apples and hearts full of happiness. Anderson Orchard is the quintessential fall destination for fall enthusiasts!

Monday 3:30pm. Not busy. First visit.
Small 50 year old chocolate shop where you can see the chocolate being made. A lot of variety from dark chocolate to white chocolate. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I got a small 1/4 lb box of a white chocolate variety. (9.95+tax). They have larger size as well. I also picked up a white chocolate bar $7.95. Boyfriend got box of truffles for $27.50.
The cashier upsold us on the white chocolate pretzels. Delicious!! They also had dark and milk chocolate pretzels.
If you think chocolate is just chocolate, then you won't enjoy this place like I did, but if you know a good chocolate when you taste it, go in and get some. They have samples as well. I enjoyed all the chocolates that we purchased.

I want to give it 5, but the prices are just too high. $40 per lb for chocolate is just way too absorbent. And there really are only a few kinds they sell here that I like.
Great dropzone, great staff, my favorite pilot Ted Ganger. All equipment is in great condition! Everything is clean, convenient for skydivers and customers! I am in love with this dz.

I recently took my brother jumping as a wedding gift. Our initial jump was cancelled the morning of due to high winds, which was no problem. Rescheduling was simple and we jumped a few days later. We arrived a couple minutes after 5PM and we were back on the road by 7PM. We jumped on a weekday.
The staff was very kind and in great spirits. I jumped with Raul, who was great. He asked me if it was my first time, to which I replied yes, and he said “cool, me too.” Lmao.
Photos and videos were completely worth it. I didn’t realize until I saw the footage (which I received the SAME day) that I sported a huge, goofy grin on my face basically the whole jump, haha. Like a kid on Christmas!

Just got done skydiving with my instructor Andre! He was very clear with all the instructions and made me feel safe and calm. Such an amazing first experience, definitely made me want to do it again. Couldn’t wish for a better first experience 🤞!

Went skydiving for the first time ever yesterday and I was really scared leading up to it. I for real can't even get on step ladders without shaking, but waiting and watching other groups go up and come back down with big smiles on their faces was really reassuring. By the time you have your harness on, there isn't much time to think about being scared. It is a really surreal experience and a rush like no other. I am so glad I did it! Lukas and Chuck were awesome and helped me feel safe and comfortable. I would do it again. :)
Some notes:
-We were rescheduled twice due to weather and that's okay because we would rather be safe than sorry. Our weather was perfect on the third try and we went around 7pm so the almost-sunset-time views were really beautiful.
-Bring water and some snacks in case you have to wait a while for your group to jump. They also have vending machines if you have cash.
-Seating is a little limited if they're very busy, but there are picnic tables and chairs outside, too. (Bring sunscreen - some aren't under shade!)
-You only feel like you're falling for a moment when you jump out of the plane. The rest is like floating!
-If you are worried you will look floppy in your video, you will actually look even floppier than you are imagining. But it's worth it!
-It's much quieter than expected once the chute opens.
-It's very cool to be the first one out of the plane. Plus, you get the best view!
Thanks so much, everyone. What a cool experience!

It was definitely a scary experience, but I was so grateful for the staff who made this experience unforgettable for my family. My daughter's dad has always wanted to skydive, so we surprised him for Father's Day. The staff at Skydive helped make this surprise even better through their great energy and good vibes. We felt so welcomed in their space.
Lucas was my jumper, and he made my experience better by reassuring me that everything would be okay. All the staff were funny, and helped calm my nerves!! I couldn't believe I had jumped out of a plane!!!

August 13th I did it. Always seen people floating down, as we would drive by in the car, I would always say "that looks like fun". WELL it was absolutely positively amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My tandum instructor, Hyder Ali, was very instructional and calming, I hope I didn't make his job too difficult. The photographer, Johnny, got some great pictures. Not knowing how they do their job, I got a slight nervous inside, cause this fellow was on his back and my instructor was holding his feet, all I could think was please flip over I don't want pictures , but he knows what he doing and is great at it. My daughter's did it too and they enjoyed it also. Skydive Indianapolis in Frankfort, did an amazing job,!!

Museum in 1 of only 3 remaining rotary jails in the country, with regular events.
We loved our tour. It was very informative and fun. My daughter says she had a blast while learning about the history. She had smiles and enjoyed telling others about what she learned when we left.
We were told about different events that they hold. If you enjoy spooky things, they offer something at Halloween. There are classes held and also open for event rental.
They accept cash ( best option for entry) because Square can not always be reliable in my opinion. It's just $5 entry and that leaves extra for donation for preservation.

Most interesting museum we've ever been in! We've traveled the US and several countries and I must say, this is the one that we stumbled on that will forever be remembered! Who knew a rotary jail was a thing? Not us!
The guided tour takes you through the sheriff's residence which has several original furnishings and household items. There's plenty of history to read on the walls and other time period items to learn about but the main attraction is of course the jail! Our tour guide was a bit odd and he was pretty short in his stories and explanations but the gal that toured the jail and basement was perfect! She explained everything in detail and embellished with some tales of the jail!
The jail rotates! Literally spins around with one door in and one door out! Well, that was the way it was built originally and operated until 1933, then they said no more rotating, too many prisoner injuries! It still rotates though, the only one in existence so definitely a must see!

Are you into historic stuff? Does old engineering amaze you? Does history make you curious? Then you are in for a Trifecta treat. This jail is the last working jail of this kind in the country. The history of the building is fascinating and the demonstration was particularly cool. If you are interested in historic one of a kind locations then this is a cheap must stop location for a brief tour through jail life history of this one of a kind rotary style system.

My husband and I had a great time! We had an awesome guide who knew all kinds of history about the jail and the town. Definitely recommend the guided tour so you can get the whole story, and he rotated the cells which was super cool to see! Beautiful building in the living quarters with lots of original furnishings. A cast of John Dillinger's death mask was displayed which was neat and creepy. Also, the story of John Coffee from The Green Mile came from this jail! All in all, a unique experience to be had.

Went here for my boyfriend’s birthday, we had a private tour where we saw the wolves and bison; but sadly because it was raining the day we visited the foxes weren’t in the mood to be outside. The staff were kind and knowledgeable about the wolves and sufficiently answered any questions we had. The gift shop was cute and moderately priced as well. Highly recommend for anyone that loves wolves and wants to get a close up experience!

We took our 11 year old and her cousin on a private tour as a Christmas gift. What a great experience! Even in the winter we were able to see all of the Wolves, the Bison and most of the other animals. We watched The Wolves during their training sessions which was really cool to see! We plan to go back the summer. The park is very well maintained and you can tell that the animals are loved and well taken care of. Our tour guide was very informative and was able to answer all of our questions. Highly recommend checking this place out

Good experience. Evening howl session with 11 and 8 year old kids. We saw 3 wolves, 2 foxes, and some Buffalo in the distance.
Howling with the wolves was fun and we learned things we didn’t know. Overall experience was different than what we expected. Not bad, just different: 30 minutes of open time to see the 2 foxes and a sleeping wolf. Then, 60 minutes outside on cold bleachers listening to our guide talk about wolves. He did a good job. The staff was kind and friendly. No complaints and glad we went, just not an experience with high entertainment value or anything that blew us away.
Gift shop was nice. Good variety. Fair prices.
Parking was easy.
Bathrooms were clean and accessible.
The overall experience is probably better for older kids and adults.

My husband & I went to Howl Night on a Saturday evening & we had an amazing time! The whole park is very well kept! All the animals seem to absolutely love their caregivers. A very nice park, close to Purdue and West Lafayette. The park has multiple outside enclosures for wolves and they have evening events called Howell knights as well! The signage in the city is a little confusing on which road to take and Google maps also gets confused. They have a large gravel parking lot lay out front so lots of parking.

I visited Wolf Park with my grandma on a Monday afternoon. We were able to enjoy the fox and turtle enclosures, and Wolf Park lookout accessible with $5 general admission in near privacy. We were thrilled to see the foxes being well taken care of, and had fun finding them in the different hideouts within the enclosures. The best part? The staff, 100%. They went above and beyond to ensure my grandma, who uses a walker, was comfortable, and they shared educational information about all the animals with us. We were able to watch the trainers engaging with the foxes in their enclosures, even if the foxes were a bit lazy with their heavy winter coats on this exceptionally warm day. I will be back for a specialty tour (which I recommend booking in advance) - to see more of the park, specifically the bison!

Action-packed park featuring a seasonal zoo, walking trails & a high-energy playground.
This is a cute little park in Lafayette, Indiana. They have a zoo, water slide, baseball field and all the amenities for a fun day out with the kids.

Small and easy to walk around zoo. Fun for my toddler and stroller friendly. It costs me $6 to get in and $4 for the train. We also paid for 2 feedings for goats. Admission was way less than you’ll ever spend at another zoo!
There’s a micro splash pad that doesn’t throw water up too high. We did grab a few cold drinks from the gift shop.
All in all we spent 1.5 hour there, less than $20 and had a good time.
If you are going with a toddler, I highly recommend a stroller. It’s a good hike from the street parking lot to the entrance.
They do have a handicap parking lot behind the entrance.
After leaving the zoo you can pop over to the community park. It’s free!

This was a really fun and cheap trip. It was only $2 per person to get in. For .49 you can feed the goats. That was really fun. The goats were way gentler than I imagined. Make sure you get your goat feeding tickets at the entrance. They don't sell them at the Family Farm. It was really fun. There was a good amount of animals and you can tell they are well cared for.

A nice local town zoo. Has expanded over the years and is a fun visit. Used to be free, but now there's a $2. charge. The train ride is also $2 each. My 5 yr old thinks the butterfly house is pretty cool. There's a water feature at the entrance that is fun. Be careful feeding the goats with little ones, they all come a running!

9/23/23- Great place for kids and to grill. Lots of things to do besides the play area. You can take a walk around the pond and see the fountains. You can take pictures all over the place.
Today the Tippecano Latin Festival was held there today with lots of people and sponsor's. Plenty of things to do for kids and adults. It's a yearly event. Lots of fun!
We saw a wedding on our way out. I guess you can add that to the list of things to do. Great time!

It's not a large zoo, but it's nice. It's very clean. It's 2 dollars a person to get in, goat feed and train are extra, but worth the few extra bucks. Our only disappointment was not being able to see the penguins because of the air quality. We will definitely be making several trips to this little gem!!!

The zoo area does not have many attractions, but the enclosures are nice. It also has a really nice play area with age themed jungle gyms and play areas. It has many gazebos for picnicking, and I do believe I also saw small grills built in. Also a live band stage.

I loved this little zoo! There aren't many animals but the ones they have aren't the same ones you see at typical zoos! Definitely worth the price and the hour drive we took to get there!

Been taking my daughter there for her entire life. A great little zoo with a petting zoo with goats, a Llama, & Shetland pony (a little horse?). The cooler morning has the prairie dogs put about with their babies, the baby goats are always adorable, and the penguin exhibit is nicely done.

Went on a overcast Autumn Wednesday. It was a beautiful, peaceful day for some one on one time with the little. LOTS of new animals and stuff to do!
Also, a new restaurant/pub on Scott Street! We had lunch there before the Zoo and it was phenomenal! Reasonably priced, absolutely delicious food, very kind waitress, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend a day trip! It's all in one spot! Food, Zoo, Playground, and ice-cream! All at reasonable prices! 😊
Absolutely incredible facility. This place has generational character, and a story that warms the heart. As a place of joy zipping from tree to tree while observing the scenery from within the depths of the wilderness, this family owned business has a knowledgeable and friendly stuff.
We never felt rushed and always felt safe and comfortable while on the lines. This was my first time ever, and I was able to overcome my fears.
When you first arrive you'll head in and get all the payment and waivers sorted out, you'll then proceed to get geared up, and then get some instruction on the gear, before you head to the first meeting area to gather the group and go over the instructions for zipping.
Dylan and Krista were our guides, and took us through a wonderful experience and confidently had us and the group laughing and having fun while sharing stories and getting to know one another. They had mentioned that larger groups can get congested but ultimately encourage everyone to take it all in every chance you get.
TYSM to the entire staff and family here at Indiana ZipLine Tours. We look forward to coming back with the rest of our family.

We had a blast! Our guides were spectacular, Bill and his wife, whose name I cant remember. They were amazing with my 4 year old son, who had a blast!! This was his first time to zipline. They were so kind and did all they could to make this a wonderful experience! We would love the opportunity to come back!!

An all around excellent experience. The guides and staff are great. 5 and 9 year olds both had a blast. There are 8 total lines in the course with the 3rd and 8th being the longest and fastest. It uses the contours of the land so there are few stairs.

We arrived 4 hours before our appointment due to travel time, and they allowed us to go as soon as we got there. We went as family of 4, ranging from ages 7 yrs-40+. The first run was scary, because you don't know what to expect. My middle child was hesitant, but after a few minutes went for it! He had a great time!! After the fear of the first line, it's fun, exciting, and almost therapeutic. We had a great time and could have done gone on several more runs. Our guides were Krista and Caden. They are very knowledgeable, kind, funny, encouraging, and comfortable. It's a very clean, organized, and professional set up. I HIGHLY recommend this amazing place!
Founded in 1869, this school is known for its air & space, engineering, science & English programs.
One of the greatest US higher education institutions. A real focus on engineering and agriculture issues that matter. Graduated more astronauts than any other school including Neil Armstrong. The engineering program may be the best in the US or world, tons of research going on and they have a lot of associated research campuses next to the campus including with aerospace companies. Great internship opportunities for students. They are really focused on getting students real skills to get a job which contributes to society. The campus is full of fun bright young people who restore your faith in the future and our youth. It is a real college campus feel, so much fun and so incredibly well run and operated. They treat their students like their "customers", and really do what the very best for them.

Chinese professors in American universities always give U.S. taxpayer-funded scholarships to Chinese students who came straight from China, whose parents and grandparents have never paid taxes to the IRS. These Chinese students get to attend American universities and graduate for free.
Scholarships should only be given to students who are U.S. citizens.

A University should want their students to succeed and set them up for success with proper housing. Purdue exhibits terrible treatment of students. No planning whatsoever for the students major area of study when placing the students in housing so they can be placed in the part of campus closest to their classes. For example they place many engineering students furthest away from their classes. No concern whatsoever for students. It does not take a lot of effort to place students in housing close to where their classes will be for the most part.
Purdue over enrolls for the financial gain and then puts three and four students in rooms designed for two.
Horrible crowding!
Prospective students beware!!! We were lied to during campus tour and told housing issues had been resolved. Far from it!
Much too expensive for out of state students to be treated so badly by the Purdue Administration. There are many fine universities that treat their students like human beings, Purdue not being one of them.

If you are a transfer applicant, please don't apply for math or anything else that is related to the department of mathematics and statistics. I have heard a lot of cases where they refused many good background transfer students who applied math. They give some vague reasons, like space limitations or unsatisfaction with prerequisite courses. They don't show any information about their limited-space programs like other universities do. And they never ask for your course syllabus before denying your application. And the academic advisor at this university I contact is kind of pretentious; she seems to leave me with the impression that Purdue is the best university in the US. I need to try my best to get admitted at all costs, no matter what major I choose, though I have shown my preferences and interests.

Beautiful campus during the summer. Visited the Neil Armstrong statue and the surrounding areas - recommended for first-time visitors. Both of old gate and new gate were beautiful. We saw people taking wedding pictures in front of the gate. The lawn was also maintained well with many flowers. Enjoy the vibes on campus!

Fun university to walk around. The building architecture is a mix of brick and modern. Lots of fun little shops in the downtown area as well. Overall an enjoyable campus to visit
Beautiful historic bridge that you can walk across. Amazing that these were built so long ago and are still standing. I've heard that this is the one you must visit if you have to see any of them. You cannot drive across this bridge although some of the others you can.

Favorite place to go to the covered Bridge Festival. Mostly flat areas, times to come are early around 8am and around 3pm to avoid massive crowds. If you bring baby strollers nice to have the ones with big tires as there are some places with larger rocks to push over. Parking prices are 5 dollars to 10 dollars. Lots to buy and see.

This is the bridge to see if you can only see a few. It's along the black route. It's picturesque and quaint. The rapids beneath the bridge gave me a feeling how old this thing is. The bridge itself is well-maintained while still looking like a covered bridge and the mill across the stream is a stunning addition to photograph.
And the landscaping around the bridge area gives it an old time feel.

Visited for Covered Bridge Festival. This is my favorite area to go during the festival. All kinds of foods and crafts. It rained and their are many indoor shopping areas thankfully.
The view of the bridge and the trickling water underneath is also beautiful. I had a delicious BBQ bowl and brought home some home decor and a couple beautiful turquoise rings.

Park with pioneer-era sights offers canyon hiking & horse riding, creek boating, camping & more.
We went for a day tour and totally enjoyed it. The park is easily accessible and offers a lot of fun and activities. A lot of hiking trails and all offers lovely views. They have different levels of hiking trails, from easy to rough. The canyon trails take you inside the canyons and they are beautiful. Inside of the canyons are cool and offers great views. All the trails are properly marked and the map also well marked. Overall, for $7, it was a great dayout for us and would recommend it to all.

It was the first time visiting for my four year old daughter and I and I'll tell you what she was in awe as much as I.
We didn't cover the whole property but in six hours we seen so much beautiful landscape and exotic sandstone carving.
They have a public swimming pool also so after all the hiking and splashing around its a perfect place to end the day.
We drove 3 hours total there and back and I would do it again in a heart beat.

I absolutely LOVE how Indiana parks organize their maps & trails. They’re numbered & marked level of difficulty. They also maintain their trails better than where I’m from. (Illinois) Lots of different things to see at this park from giant boulders moved by glaciers to beautiful waterfalls, interesting ways to get around like ladders & really old stone stairs built into the side of the hills, great views, cool bridges, canyons they have it all! The lodge is just alright but worth it if you want to stay IN the park. I might try camping next time. Super cool & worth a visit for sure. Nice to have at least one full day to hike but I still have so much to see yet! Been twice & still plan on checking it out again.

Great time for sure. We just stayed one night at the campground but did a lot. We rode bikes around the campground and then down to the state park. We had to ride along the highway about one mile to get to the state park but it wasn't too bad with traffic when we went. We saw the horse stable and had to go for a ride. It was a nice ride through the woods. After that we started biking again and saw the snake out on the road from the house stable.

The hiking is absolutely beautiful! Most of the trails are nicely shaded. There are quite a few rugged hikes, for those who are adventurous. If it's a hot day, I highly recommend doing a floating trip or kayaking with Sugar Valley Canoe Trips. We also took advantage of the Olympic size pool. There were a lot of families with their dogs at the campgrounds. There was also a playground for the kids. The bathrooms were very clean and the showers were nice as well.

Turkey Run was absolutely gorgeous. We went early in the morning on a Friday and nearly had the park to ourselves. The kids did a great job hiking and were absolutely awestruck. Great day trip location. We had a cabin booked but a storm knocked out the power and we had to cancel our reservation. Will visit again.

We loved the park. We hiked down #6 and just got lost in the trail system from there. The suspension bridge is pretty impressive. We made a reservation for lunch early in the day, and I am so glad we did. After that hike, I was happy to sit down to a warm meal. They had some pretty good fried chicken and these little key lime pie cups that were delicious.

My parents haven't been here since 1986 and felt it was time to go back. Very nice park. Gets real dark at night, so make sure to bring a form of light with you. Rockville is about 15 to 20 minutes from the park if you decide to hit the town or need supplies. Wildlife can be seen and heard in the campgrounds, so bring you food in after you are done or a raccoon will eat it.

The best park in Indiana, my eyes for this beautiful gem of a forest in Marshall. I love the trails, the geysers, the rugged landscape and the tough and not so tough hikes. I have enjoyed the scenic beauty of each of natures creation and so enjoy hiking endlessly for hours mesmerized by Turkey run’s beauty. Ample parking, kids area, camping spots, an inn for campers and sufficient provisions for campers as well as hikers. There’s a $7 fee at the entrance and allows access to the entire park. You are given a good map and pamphlet which includes all details to the park. Lovely tourist spot!

We stayed overnight on a weekday, and it was not busy. The cabin was cozy and near the main lodge. The restaurant and pool were very nice. The trails are well maintained. There are a variety of trails offered from easy, moderate, and experienced. The creek was very low and easy to walk across. Trail 3 is the one to go on!

Always the best hiking for us! We stayed at a pet friendly cabin at the Turkey Rum Inn. It’s a fun place to go! The cabin is pretty small but great for sleeping. Heated swimming pool and Inn restaurant were nice! Lots of trails to accommodate anyone!

I first came here over 40 years ago and couldn't wait to go back. I finally made the trek and brought my two children. It was magical to watch them bond on the trails and help each other as they explored the natural beauty of this park. Trail 3 was their absolute favorite! They enjoyed hiking through streams, mud, ladders, and were glad that they dressed accordingly. They want to come back and would not making the nearly 4-hour drive to do so.
CAUTION: Some of the trails are not for those with questionable health or limited mobility. There are LOTS of stairs, ladders, tight spaces, water obstacles, etc. to make it potentially difficult to say the least. Do not hesitate to speak with park staff about any concerns and take their advice. They are here to help you.

Turkey run state park is just breath taking! We arrived late on a Friday evening with our camper. Woke up Saturday morning to an absolute beautiful day. Hit the trails (trail 3 was one of our favorites) all day and came back to the campground at the state park and had a great cookout. The campground is clean (if you're pulling a camper be aware some lots are not the most level). All in all this trip gets 👍👍

This was our second visit to Turkey Run. We hiked trail 3 which is one of the more rugged trails. We had to go through streams, small gorges, and up and down tall ladders. A thunderstorm passed through in the middle of our hike but the rain was refreshing. Lots of mud when it's been raining so prepare for that! The temperature was around 95 degrees that day but it is so much cooler through the trails. Such a beautiful place!!

Beautiful state park! Went during labour day weekend and it was pretty crowded but we still had fun. We parked by the nature center and crossed over the suspension bridge which was so fun for the kids. There are parts of the hike that are on the adventurous side. Also, it’s a muddy trail so plan accordingly. Trails are mostly shady. Highly recommended.

My wife and I booked a room for the weekend at the Inn. A wonderful experience! We were greeted by a very gracious young woman behind the reception desk, her name was Rain. We booked ahead by one year which is suggested if you’re stay is on a weekend, and scored a redecorated room. The trails are absolutely awesome. Some of the most beautiful scenery, with views of sandstone clifs with trees growing right out of the moss. Highly recommend you wear appropriate shoes. Leave those white gym shoes at home, waterproof is best. And if the trail rugged expect to be crossing streams. Its hard to find anyone not having a great day here. And again the staff is tremendously welcoming and gracious. We have never camped here but there are spots for tents and even some for motor homes.

What a beautiful and magnificent place! We went there today. The weather was so good. Omg, this State Park is so beautiful. There are lots of fall colors visible there right now. We really enjoyed hiking there. This is the best hiking trail zone we have experienced so far. I would recommend exploring trail 3. The whole trail 3 hiking is a special experience. Notable things to visit Rocky Hollow, Punch Bowl, Falls Canyon, etc. Most of the trails are so good and these will be unique experiences from one another. A beautiful place. This is by far my favorite State Park in Indiana. We stayed at the INN and had multiple days to explore all the trials. The trails are very interactive. Climbing ladders, getting a little wet, and hiking up little waterfalls might happen. Most trials have stairs. Lots and lots of stairs.

Turkey Run State Park was an incredible experience!! We visited during the fall so all the leaves were changing and the views were beautiful. We hiked trail #3 which included the suspension bridge, climbing ladders, walking on ledges, Rocky Hollow, and the punch bowl. We were surrounded by such cool nature the entire time. So many mushrooms! 10/10!
We went on one of the longer trips. Drop off and pick up were smooth. Equipment was in good working order. Creek was low in places, but they have no control over that.

Could use some help with getting the business of floating down.
Getting on and off the river is not visitor friendly, staff is lackluster and there is absolutely no care for the river itself. No trash bags were provided like most floater outfitters. I spent the entire 10 miles picking up trash, just to find out that there is no dumpster or anything to do with the trash at the take out. Unless you want to convince people in the van to give up seats to bring trash back.
You can obviously tell there is no stream clean teams because I was finding old trash. And so many tires and glass.

Kayaking the Sugar Creek is much more tame compared to the whitewater rafting we are used to doing. We booked the 6 mile kayak trip. Water level was low. There was more maneuvering around shallow spots and trying not to get stuck - July 2023. The only reason for the 4 star is the lack of enthusiasm of the staff, except the driver of the bus thanking us for coming.

Had a great time. . Other than the guys driving like it was an off road drifting race in a Lil bus it was great. I mean it was kinda fun going that fast on a small bus though so whatever 🤷 🙃... also had to get out and walk the kayak probably like a dozen times cuz the low water but still worth it certainly... 👌

Took the 3 mile trip. On that one you see two covered bridges and a suspension bridge. Pack a lunch as there’s a great stopping place half way down river by the suspension bridge to eat, stop and cool off in the water and/or let the kiddos play.

The river doesn’t photograph well. It was surprisingly clear. The person that updates their Facebook page with river level had me concerned but it was fine. Badlands Off Road Park is the go-to spot for off-road enthusiasts, whether you’re on an ATV, dirtbike, or SUV. The park offers a variety of trails that test your skills across different terrains, from easy rides to challenging paths. Notably, the park maintains cleanliness—quite impressive given the muddy adventures. Showers with hot water are available, a blessing after a day of riding.
There’s plenty of camping space, making it perfect for a full weekend getaway. Nights here are remarkably quiet, providing a serene atmosphere to unwind after an adrenaline-filled day. It’s more than just an off-road location—it’s a place where you can relax and have fun, regardless of the weather. Prepare for an exceptional experience, because Badlands isn’t just about mud and full throttle; it’s also about the great atmosphere and the people you meet. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to let loose and relax at the same time

It was okay for being in the Midwest. A lot of very narrow areas. It's not anything like the southwest trails where I'm from but it was okay. Trails could do a bit of maintenance and cleanup. The signage throughout the park could also really use an improvement to help you where you're at and where you want to go to. Overall, I didn't hate it or like it.
And the staff was great. Just thought to say that as well. The store is very good.

I have absolutely fallen in love with this park... my best friend and I went to Kennekuk County Park together to celebrate her birthday. We hiked on the trails some, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful, healthy trees, tons of birds and butterflies, frogs and toads hopping in and out of the marshes, and all of it was so peaceful! When we got to the river, we waded to a sandbar and found a variety of shells, and just relaxed listening to the river flow and the breeze through the trees. Life at home is busy busy busy with three sons that I homeschool, and not only was Kennekuk the perfect getaway for a day, I can’t wait to go back and take my kids for all of the incredible adventures we can have together, and because there’s a vast amount of science and history in this park with educational opportunities abounding! My boys are going to love, love, LOVE exploring and adventuring at Kennekuk

Very clean and well maintenance park. Have public restroom almost in every parking spot nearby. They have several pond we can go for fishing. Also on horshoe pond, there"s nice hiking trail that assist you around the lake. Alot of osprey / eagle around also, some canadian goose and other kind of duck nearby the pond. If we visit bunker hill historic area, they have alot of old historical building with very clean restrooom in this spot. The only things, i didnt see anymore train on this spot, i dont know what reason the train is gone. But generally, Very reccomended place to visit and get away from work and relaxing our mind while enjoying the nature around the park.

What an amazing park! So many great memories at this place. If you want to get out of the hectic city and away from the chaos just go to Kennekuk and forget all your trouble. If you like riding a bicycle this place is for you. Riding bikes in Kennekuk is so much fun and it's a very beautiful park. Kennekuk is by far the nicest park in the city and a great place to take your kids.

Fabulous woodland preserve. Their nature center alone gets six stars - Build with wood reclaimed from trees on the location, it has classrooms lined with posters, books and props to thrill a child. The woods are pristine, from the oak hickory mix up high to the pawpaw and spice bushes in the hollows. Should there be a desire there is a white oak barn available for receptions and events, with a playground nearby.
221 acres with a river & 22 ponds with sporting, scuba diving, mountain biking, fishing & camping.
Lots to see. Birds chirping in the morning over breakfast time. Fishing was good and very relaxing. Back to the campground for a homemade cast iron skillet Pizza over an open fire .we loved it

This is one of the nicest parks I've ever been to. Not to big, not to small, but just right. Great fishing, hiking, picnic areas can all be found here. Definitely worth spending a day or two.

A very beautiful place to hike during the Fall. We visited it on the last Sunday of October, 2023. We hiked the South riverview loop trail which took us 1.7 hours as we also stopped in between to take pictures. The trail was marked and we didn't come across any poisonous plants. This was an easy trail, except in 2-3 places there were steep ascent and descent. Was less crowded. We didn't use the other recreational facilities at this place. There are restrooms at the beginning and the end of the trail.

We spent 3 days at the campground. Upkeep of the grounds and modern facilities was ok, a few patches of weeds etc. Trailer pads were all level and graveled. I give them major points for having ADA accessible spots that were nice and big plus were paved. The area has lots to do with well kept trails, fishing and a lake with boats boats and swimming.

Great for canoe or kayaking not so great for everything else. Trails are not maintained well, lack of signage near trailheads and a few playground areas lack some serious TLC. Algae growth is prevalent in many areas. Restroom areas are filthy and windows are broken.

Last stayed here four years ago. It's a one nighter for us but very pleasant. There seems to be a lot of work for the workers. The grass was cut just around sites, bath houses, etc but hardly a step further. Looks like a huge storm must a come through a few weeks prior to our arrival.
Important stuff for us was good: clean enough toilets and bath houses, level enough site and camphost was kind. Our stay became better by kayaking and eating some grub over at Kickapoo Adventures (see review). Will we stay here again? Most likely if through this area. Suits our needs, just wish the State of Illinois would provide a little more cleanup services after huge storms. 😊

Visited park and did the cave tour via reservations. A must visit and a lot cooler than Texas heat we’ve been having. Park has camping and plenty of trails. Quiet and peaceful.

Been wanting to visit Kickapoo (from Indianapolis) since I started mountain biking last year. Some tight single track, and intense climbs (had to walk two of them on trail 6), and challenging flows. Big thanks to the local mountain bike club for the great features. I started and ended at the playground. Best place to session I found in the Midwest so far. I’ll be back in the spring.

What a beautiful place to visit. I am used to back country camping so this almost felt like cheating, the first thing I'll say is that this is a community style campground. There are electric sites available as. Public restroom and shower. Disc golf corse and multiple trails to hike. I have not hiked here yet.. this is a very beautiful lake with 2 side by side boat launches goodto boat, fish, kayak, canoe and paddleboat, ect. This is a park for a family camp gathering or just get outdoors for a day or few. nights.
Angelina Villar — Google review
Very clean, quiet park. The shower houses are cleaned regularly. Between the 3 camping spots and 6 campers, we saw deer, weasels, wild turkey, great blue Herron, and osprey. The wood is very good and reasonably priced. This is the 3rd time camping here will definitely be back. The first time, my sister and I rented a paddle boat. So fun!
Forested campground on a 59-acre man-made lake with hiking & fishing opportunities.
Quiet little state park. We went tent camping for a reasonable $8 a night. Electricity hookups for RVs is $20 a night. We went during the week, so pretty empty, but it does fill up on the weekends. Bathrooms are reasonable and they have playgrounds, fishing spots, and even a little cafe.

We are camping for 2 nights/3 days in camp site #31. It is a very nice site- surrounded by trees and it is a level site. We have walked many miles and we're pleasantly surprised to find the Cafe open. We have actually been there twice- once for ice cream and then for lunch- fish and chips- all good!! We really love this campground.

What a blast! We booked an entire summer during the pandemic. Tons of fun for the kids, trails, equipment park and concessions were just a few.
The boat ram was well maintained and very accommodating. Massive lake with endless branches of water. Great fishing and swimming. Plenty of room for water sports.
The marina was well stocked and very helpful. Throughout the week days were very calm but weekends get crazy. Lots of partying and golf carts. The water gets crowded and dangerous. Holidays are the same.
I would recommend 100%.

Electric only camp sites...only one water spigot, but the sites have tons of space, great shade. A chill quiet place with good trails. The cafe is great, kayaks were fun. We didn't catch a single fish all weekend...but we are terrible at fishing!

I met my boyfriend about 8 years ago. 2 years ago he brought me here because he knows I love hiking. I fell in love with what is basically a hidden gem. This place is so beautiful. I could spend all day here soaking up the views the sounds the smells of forest preserve. We come here every time we come to visit his family as I have dragged him to the northeast of Illinois now. I never get enough of this place, I’ve seen otters, deer, hunted for mushrooms, even got engaged here. my boyfriend now fiancé knew this was my happy place so he proposed to me right at breezy point while we were soaking up the sun.
Camping, trails, picnics , fishing you can do it all. They also have a food stand that’s open in the summer with a wide variety menu. Just come and see it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

I was sad to hear that the museum is closing down at the end of this month. I visited the museum in Summer 2014, while on a cross-country motorcycle trip, and had been trained at Chanute in 1969-70 as a flight simulator technician. The museum was one of the nicer ones displaying aircraft and I was pleasantly surprised to see an F-104 Starfighter, as well as a B-58 Hustler. While in training at Chanute, our formation had to march past a B-36 on display. After finishing my training, I was stationed at Castle AFB, outside of Merced, CA and trained B-52 pilots. During another motorcycle trip last summer, I also stopped off at the Castle AFB air museum, and much to my surprise, I found that the Chanute B-36 had been moved years earlier and is now on display at Castle!
Thanks, Chanute Air Museum for being there since the base's closure and the fond memories it brought back to me during my visit.

Meadowbrook Park is a vast area encompassing a farm, multiple gardens, and various trails. It combines art and nature to create a beautiful experience with paved paths through the stunning prairie filled with wildflowers and berries. The park features large sculptures from different artists scattered throughout the space. There are also small sections of wetlands, streams, pavilions, porta potties, and even an extensive wooden playground for kids and adults alike.
Lots of cool art pieces along the walking paths, the paths are a decently long length around the perimeter of the park, and the playground is still a great area for the kids(and even the adults,!) to blow off some energy! Great place to take family or friends on a nice Spring day!

I recently visited my first "sculpture garden." There aren't too many benches, so if you plan to explore it, bring a water bottle along because we couldn't find any other water fountains nearby, except for the park further away. The garden is quite extensive with numerous paths to explore. If you enjoy art or architecture, it's definitely worth visiting due to the variety of sculptures and installations.

The University of Illinois Memorial Stadium is a football venue that can accommodate over 60,000 people. It was constructed in 1923 and serves as a tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives during World War I. Although small compared to other college stadiums, it remains a popular destination for fans of the Fighting Illini team. Despite declining attendance in recent years, enthusiastic supporters still come out to cheer on their team.
I’m a Season ticket holder in the “cheap seats”. Never disappoints… more crowded this year but I guess that’s good!! Our tailgate area has improved through the years but didn’t get our first choice this year but did get our 2nd! Which has been great as well.

Can't give five stars, it's not Camp Randall. Notable is plenty of bathrooms, no lines during game, short lines before and after. Warm water for hand washing. As all schools, visitors stuck in corner of end zone. We won anyway!

Football games are totally cashless. Variety of food to choice from in the Football area.
Plenty of security around the campus and we felt totally comfortable walking back to our cars later in the night.

My visit to the University of Illinois Memorial Stadium was truly impressive. The stadium's grand architecture and spacious seating provided a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere for the game. I also appreciated the rich history and sense of tradition that the stadium exudes. It's an excellent venue to watch college football and a must-visit for any sports enthusiast
This place is so freaking cute!
The owner is sweet and wants everyone to have fun
The prices for food and hot chocolate are SO reasonable.
The hot chocolate is SO good. I think it’s made with water and not milk, which I like. And good for anyone who is lactose intolerant.
I would recommend, when going in the winter, take your tour when the sun is out because as you know it gets chilly when the sun sets lol.
The tour is about 15 ish minutes and $8 per person.
Totally worth it and I would do it multiple times just because.
The reindeer are so freaking cute and feeding them oats feels fun in your hand.
There is a playground for kids and a place where they can ride pedal go carts. And they have a little gift shop.
As an adult without children it was the best. They are friendly animals.

On the way to chicago we stopped off to see some reindeer. It was a rainy day so we were the only ones there on a Thursday afternoon. We fed the reindeer oats and crackers. This is an amazing Reindeer ranch. So happy to visit this place yesterday. We took the reindeer tour which was very good. Omg! Reindeers were so lively, cute and they were very gentle with us. There was a gift shop store. There was a wide variety of collections there, especially, for Christmas decorations and small souvenirs. I think the best thing to explore here is the reindeer tour and the second one is the corn maze. We didn't have enough time for the corn maze yesterday. Next time we are looking forward to doing it. Every year the maze changes and it's a really fun and exciting thing to do for the kids. I would definitely recommend exploring this.

I am a member of the Champaign Public Library. I don't owe a late fee, wasn't causing trouble, wasn't being loud, had my stuff in a corner out of the way. Looking for resources for a place to stay and cool from the heat and the manager guy walked up to me and said we can't accommodate you and you have too much luggage with you and made me leave. I thought Champaign was better than this.

I have never lived in a town with such a dynamic library! There are writers programs, and programs to help people who want to start businesses, and they are building expanded facilities in the basement for doing sound recordings...oh, yeah, and they have books. I've seen libraries that want to do away with books. Which seems dumb to me. They have a great collection of videos, too.
My favorite part, though, is walking into the building. The lobby is an art gallery with a new installation of art every season. It never fails to make me smile when I walk in!

Fantastic library, I feel like you can always find something exciting here. The children's area has a really lovely play space, with lots of cool, interactive art and toys for a variety of ages. There are comfy chairs with chargers for the guardians, and all gender restrooms with changing tables. The adult sections are well stocked, and the librarians have always been friendly and eager to help. The cafe is tiny but mighty, and has a good selection, including both snacks and sandwiches. There's lots here to discover - this is an award winning library for a reason, and there's a wealth of programs and resources to tap into, both in person and online. This is also a LGBT+ safe space. I remember the library as a magical place as a kid (let's be honest, even as an adult) and I look forward to showing my kids that.

Old-fashioned, 2-screen theater featuring first-run films, a kid-friendly gift hut & movie snacks.
Love this drive in theater. It's so nice and a fun way to spend an evening on the weekend. There's radios and chairs you can rent if you would like and plenty of snacks. There's 2 screens for movies, so you can pick which movie you would like to see and they will kindly direct you where to go. I would not suggest the pizza, but the rest was pretty good. I have absolutely no negative things to say about Harvest Moon! It is our GO TO place for dates as just a couple plus group outings with our kids & friends. We go several times each season and it’s always a blast. Heck, we have already been twice this year and they opened less than a month ago. Can’t get enough of Harvest Moon! Always a great experience. My son was so excited for Nightmare Before Christmas there after recently seeing Mario Bros as his first Harvest Moon experience. Concession stand is reasonably priced and the property is always so well kept, and has lots of “extras” like photo props and things. One worker ever gave my son a freebie toy last night that made his day… hasn’t stopped playing with it. Unless he wasn’t supposed to do that, then it definitely didn’t happen ;) haha Point being — the staff is always friendly and goes above and beyond. Thank you!

We go to Harvest Moon drive-in at least two times a month during their open season. I enjoy revisiting my childhood fun of going to the drive-in and sharing that fun with my children and my grandson. The staff is always friendly and the food is awesome. They are family run and I love to support those types of places. Have there been a few visits where things hadn't gone great, yes but I have had far more of those experiences at the chain theaters and they are not helpful at all in resolving issues.
Harvest Moon has special events throughout their season and they are always a blast. The Halloween events are always my favorite. Even if they sometimes have to be held earlier because of Illinois weather and the season coming to a close before the end of October.
Why not visit Gibson city and Harvest Moon instead of the big indoor theaters during the Summer months and enjoy a movie or two under the open sky!?

You can tell that the management loves their business and they love their customers. I feel like Harvest Moon goes above and beyond to make sure customers are happy. They provide radios to borrow or purchase, decently priced snacks and a reasonably priced tickets to make sure you have a great time at the drive-in!

After years of saying "we should go to the drive in" we finally went to Harvest Moon in Gibson City. It did not disappoint! We had a blast. Fortunately or unfortunately, we happened to go on a very busy Friday night (opening of Barbie). Despite the busyness, the staff was friendly and professional. We learned a lot for our next trip....
Bring a nice battery radio (my truck died :)
Bring extra blankets, and the kids wanted a pillow or two (it was a cool evening for us)
Get there EXTRA early for a good parking spot and relax and hang out.
All in all, we had a wonderful first time experience and will definitely be back.

I have been coming to Harvest Moon on and off for over a decade. My parents would bring my sister and I as a treat on our way south to go camping. We always loved the experience. I just went last night for the first time with my family, and we had a blast. The movie was great, the snacks were good, prices were affordable, everyone was friendly, and we were still able to get a good spot at 7:45. I didn't mind paying a small fee to bring outside food in either. I missed having this experience, and look forward to bringing my family more often when we go camping. Definitely worth the 2+ hour drive for us!

While I know I'm not expecting great video quality, I was expecting a little more than corrugated sheet metal. Did not enjoy the wavy appearance. I also did not enjoy the people smoking nearby. I also did not enjoy the tiny bathrooms with one sink. I also did not enjoy the long lines for expensive snacks. Not enough time to get snacks at intermission. I also did not enjoy getting my foot caught in a big hole where a pole use to be. Reservation 7 spot I'm looking at you...The noise from the other movie is distracting when there are quiet parts in your movie.
I enjoyed being able to sit outside with my dog to watch a movie.
There a lot of things that could be easily fixed to make this better.

Employees were awesome! Great experience and worth the price which is very affordable. We were able to bring our own food but there was plenty there for purchase as well. An age old treasure that I’m glad is still here. Brings back lots of memories. Great Halloween fun! It was cold tho! Lol

This was a great place to watch a movie though I couldn’t stay for the second feature. I was too tired. They are good about making sure the cars are distanced but the bathrooms do get crowded even with only three ppl in them. I would recommend buying tickets online especially if you want the front row. The burgers weren’t good but I liked the sweet options they had.
4/17/2022 update: Came back to see Secrets of Dumbledore and the experience was great. Check in was easy and if you arrive early getting a good spot isn’t hard. Lines are long but they did a good job of making sure you got your things quickly and kept the line moving. Definitely recommend seeing a show or two here.

Went to see a christmas movie and it was amazing! They Santa and Mrs Clause before the show to take pictures and the Grinch at the end for pictures well! There was hot cocoa and great popcorn, they even did light tricks that correlated with some of the movie scenes. It was a wonderful experience definitely recommend.
Great place to visit! Wooded trails, along the lake trails, prairie trails! Some neat historical sights too!

Lovely, small, clean state park! The trail around the lake is a delightfully scenic and moderate ability trail. I only had a day there, and walked it once in the morning and again in the afternoon. There are numerous docks and places to stop for a rest along the trail (and restroom facilities). Though I wasn't camping, I appreciate that the camping areas were accessible to the trail and then also the lake easily. Also, the fact that you can drive around the lake and stop at numerous spots to access the trail or sites just adds to the accessibility for individuals who may not want to walk the whole trail. The lake seems to be only for small watercraft with a trolling motor at the most. Quiet and relaxing spot. The Veterans Memorial is also respectful and contemplative. I will be back to explore it further with my family. Charming place to spend a day or camp I imagine. Highly recommend!

This was my family second summer going here, they keep the camp grounds really clean!!
Bathrooms are okay I really don’t feel it’s the campgrounds fault it’s the camper who have no respect to clean up after themselves in the showers.
Our camp site was decent size just didn’t like it was going downhill so we got a lot of rain during the storm. Also didn’t like how only a few campsites had grills. Ours only had a fire pit. To my knowledge there is no way of knowing if the site has a grill or not until you show up!!
They have a little playground next to the restroom and more throughout the trails.
Camping was close to the lake, made going fishing everyday a fast walk with my family!!
We brought our dog the last two years without any issues or problems!
The main reason we came back again this year was the amazing trails they have. This year a lot of the trails were run down or closed so that was disappointing!!
All in all it was a good experience!!

A great little park with a small pond. A boat launch makes it easy for putting in/taking out your small watercraft. I’ve kayaked there a couple times and it is secluded from high winds and makes for some nice wildlife-watching.
A two-or-so-mile trail sticks pretty close to the water’s edge and is easily hiked with small kids.
Overall, it’s a great place to spend a couple hours, or even longer because of the numerous campsites available.

Really enjoy the long point youth campsite. We hiked around the lake. We did as much stuff as we could do in winter.

We stayed in the tent camping sites and thoroughly enjoyed our camping trip. The hike around the water is beautiful and a perfect length to take in all the sights. Plus - the trails are well maintained and the litter is minimal (as compared to Clinton lake recreation area, which is full of litter)

I love this place so much and have great memories of bringing my kids here for years. Today was so beautiful i had to take a walk around the lake for some photos, I hope you enjoy as much as I did taking them...

The Park is beautiful. The walk around the lake is an easy hike. The Veterans Memorial is a must visit while you're here.
During our visit, on a Saturday, the boat rentals were closed as was the concession stand. There were a few people in kayaks on the water.
We visited the campground to check out sites for a possible future stay. I'm not sure the conditions of the shower house & restrooms as it was barricaded off when we were there. They do have some nice campsites that are well shaded. The day we were there the campground was about 80% full.
I'd recommend Weldon Springs for a nice fay trip. Take your own food & water.

I used to come out here when I skipped work (sorry mom and dad) when I was younger. You can easily kill a few hours either walking trails or just getting breakfast at the local Hardee's and enjoying it while watching the sun over the springs. It's never crowded and you can always find a spot to yourself, I'll even go out just to clean out my car! Always been a fan of this place. I'll get more pics eventually...

Very nice park, we stayed at site 14 and tent camped. There is a trail at the back of the site that goes down the hill to the lake and there is a dock with a bench on it. It was almost like a private little spot, it was really neat. And don’t let the beavers scare you at night because there’s a whole bunch of them right next to the dock. The Veterans Memorial Park is awesome and should be viewed by all!

Beautiful lake to go camping, fishing, enjoy a picnic, etc. I came here to train for a marathon, there's a good trail just under 2 miles that runs around the perimeter of the lake with some good inclines and views. There's also a road that runs outside this loop that's a bit larger, roughly 2 miles long and easier on the feet. There's restrooms all over, a playground or two, some boat docks, and I believe a nature center. Really cool place!
DESTIHL Brewery is a popular brewery and beer hall located in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. It is known for its wide selection of craft beers and delicious food offerings. This establishment is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, offering a unique dining experience. In addition to their tasty brews, DESTIHL Brewery also hosts various events throughout the year, including their highly anticipated WebEaster Brunch.
AMAZING! Beer was great- get samples if you want to try something before committing to a full glass. Staff was incredibly nice! Food was delicious: Cheese Curds, Pretzel, Burger, Pizza and the Buffalo Chicken Salad. Atmosphere was beautiful inside. Will be back in the summer to hang out on the patio!

What a cool space! They have great outdoor seating and dog friendly which is a big plus. This is counter service place... you order and pick up your own food. We did not sample the beer but the food was very good. The pretzels are big and fluffy. Highly recommend the Sunday only fried Chicken dinner. Recommend this spot as it really stands out in Bloomington. It is very similar to Surly Brewing in St Paul, MN.

My husband and I had dinner at the brewery for the first time today ( I've never been to the restaurant)
I had the salsa verde pork tacos, and those tortillas reminded me of hometown in Sonora, Mexico! Congratulations on making this Mexican customer a happy one at heart. The tacos were absolutely delicious, not spicy but full of delicious flavors, I don't know what in the world was in the lime, but my mouth was on fire!! For the price, an extra taco would have been perfection, but I don't complain because it was 100% worth it.
My husband loved his burger.
We will definitely go back, and probably I'll just have more tacos.

Great place! Very welcoming and open space. Family friendly place and the staff was very cheerful.
I sat near the bar, on one of the high top tables. Their food ordering process is self serving. You order food at a kiosk and then pick up your food. That was a fun and quick way to do that.
Their cheese curds were awesome! Seemed home made. Yes we were far from Wisconsin, but these chees curds were pretty awesome and can definitely compete!
I believe their products are available at most stores like Jewel Osco.

What an awesome location for both craft beer and unique food. Great indoor and outdoor seating choices. Good is ordered at the counter then picked up at the counter. Beer can be sampled before ordering. Our food was fantastic. Staff friendly and helpful.

Stepping into Destihl Brewery for dinner was a GAME-CHANGER. Even though I don't drink beer, this place has great family vibes and a ton of awesome food choices.
Their ordering setup was dope - just hit up one of their ordering kiosks, enter your phone number, and wait for that text to pick up your grub. After some serious menu contemplation, I went for the BBQ brisket tacos, a slice of milk chocolate caramel cake, and a lemonade to wash it down.
Let me tell you, those BBQ brisket tacos were straight FIRE. Tender brisket, killer flavor, and the BBQ sauce on the side took it to a whole new level. Crunchy, flavorful - it was everything.
And that milk chocolate caramel cake? It was like a slice of heaven. Fluffy cake, rich chocolate, and that caramel swirl? Chef's kiss.
Props to the staff too - super chill and friendly vibes all around. Plus, they've got their own merch shop, which is pretty cool.
Already planning my next trip back to Destihl Brewery to try more of their bomb options.
THIS PLACE IS A MUST IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA!

Visiting Rivian for work I was challenged with utter boredom in Normal Illinois.
That was until I found Destihl Brewery. First reaction, this place is massive & must be the main place to go when venturing for a micro brew.
With excellent food , great beer & great vibes this place is hard to beat.

Absolutely amazing! Gordon Ramsey would be proud! Super simple menu and easy way to order. Food was amazing and delicious! Forgot to take pictures of the food before we ate. 😅 Would recommend if your in town. A must stop! We are not from around here but are returning soon. We will definitely be coming back!!

Such a cool space with great food and amazing beer!
We happened to stop by when they had a Deadhead event going on for a new beer release and it was such a cool experience to see everyone come together to celebrate.
We were visiting from out of town but went back the next day for lunch too because we knew the food and service was good.
The only downside is that they aren’t open very late.

Beautiful location, great vibe, fabulous food (although I wish there were more entree items instead of just pizzas, salad and sandwiches)!!! I had their Indian styled pizza, very very good, great crust, great residual heat, it really could use more tomato’s though. I added chicken for some protein, which was a great addition!
I really liked this place but I gave it a 3 star rating due to two things:
1. I really REALLY dislike having to order my food at a kiosk and then go pick it up myself at the window. I also really REALLY dislike having to go to the bar to order my drink. I would much rather have wait staff and be served…that’s kind of the point to going out for dinner, otherwise I’d go to a buffet. The self service thing totally downgrades the entire experience. And they have an upscale environment, but the experience is lacking….please get wait staff!
2. I realize it’s their brewery, however for us non beer drinkers, it would be nice to have some hard alcohols to choose from and also some wine that is not produced by the brewery. Maybe some seltzers like High Noon or something. Anything but just beer (and the wine that they produce). If I want their wine, I would order it. Oh and some sparkling water would be an excellent option as well! Perrier, Pellegrino, something!
Again, fabulous place, fabulous food, fabulous environment (that could be massively improved with the addition of wait staff)! They just need wait staff and other drink options.

Beer flight I had was great, lots of variety and good beers. The food was pretty good as well. Our favorite dish was the jumbo pretzel followed by cheese curds. The cheeseburger was also pretty solid, nothing crazy just a normal burger. I didn’t like the mac and cheese but my SO thought this was her favorite.

We really love this place, I have been here several times with friends and family, if you are looking for a place where you can enjoy a beer and relax this is the place, you don't have too many options on the menu but it is perfect for the occasion, If you are looking for more options to eat, they have a restaurant with an extensive menu a few minutes from here, which is also great. Definitely a place you must visit!

Great place, when I lived in Normal this was my go to place after a bad day at work.
Lots of great things on the menu and the menu changes to keep it from getting boring.
Problem is you'll always see Rivian people there, when they are slow staff stops at tables too often to take stuff and when you do a kiosk order(literally doing everything yourself) the default tips are pretty high.

I'm not from the area but was in town for a meeting and our team was having an outing here. I am not really a beer consumer, but I do like to try new things and was excited about trying something different!
I tried their apple cider and so glad I did! It was delicious. Their food was delicious as well!!
When visiting, if this is your first time, you will want to note that orders are placed by the bar and not at your table. Menus are provided and can also be scanned via QR code. When you are ready to order, you proceed to the order area inside. A line quickly forms once they open, but it does move rather smoothly and fast. Also, you will want to have your order ready to provide once you reach the counter. I would recommend looking at the menu at your table first and the proceed to the line with your order and/or any questions you may have once you are ready to order.
I gave this restaurant four stars because of the service. From the moment I walked in, to the end of our night the service was alright. Some staff of the was friendly and knowledgeable while others were not really friendly (like the one taking my order). Additionally, I felt rushed when placing my beverage order and the individual taking my order appeared bothered by the questions I had about their selection. (Which is out of sorts since one has to wait in line and there didn't appear to be any other place to ask questions).
The food here is excellent made up for the service. It was not too long of a wait for the food to arrive at the table, either.
Beautiful trail. I have not explored the entire trail. Used to go for evening walk in the trail stretch near the State Farm buildings.

Amazingly beautiful, well maintained, and safe trail! I am a professor at ISU & I take biking breaks in between work, so relaxing to walk or run or bike! On hot summer days the trail is ~10 degrees cooler. Be careful on quiet cold days...go with someone, there has been very few incidents, I had a close call too. The probability is extremely low, but still be careful ladies!
