This place is a great slice of Tennessee History! Unfortunately, we got there right after the public buildings had closed. But we enjoyed strolling through the "neighborhood" and peeking into the windows.

A beautiful community orginally created in 1880 by Author Thomas Hughes. Peacefully sitting in the Big South Fork National Park. A church, Library and school house still remains open. A gift/information center is open seasonally . Special events are held especially during the fall.

Rugby is a living history. Beautiful architecture, quaint shops, cemetery, unique history, and residents who are wonderful to chat with.
One of my favorite memories will be seeing Beauty in the bird feeded outside the visitor center.

Small town with some nice historic buildings. Pair a visit with a local hike and it can be a great weekend

It was nice, not what I expected I guess.
I did the Gentleman's Swimming Hole and the loop. Very pretty. Most of the trail runs a long the river. Nice cliffs and overhangs.
Make sure to take a walking stick. Wear good shoes and spray yourself really good with tick spray.

I did a walk to the homestead. Not much there but a wooden fence. There are information boards with pictures and info about the people that lived. I enjoyed reading a bit of history for that area. Walked down to the old Spring house too. Watch the small bridge over the water, its tilted and very slippery.

Who knew such a cool place in the middle of nowhere with such deep history well worth the diversion and side trip to take it all in.

Historic village in middle Tennessee. Irish Road Bowling was a hoot! Lots of hiking trails.

Rugby is a small town just east of the clear river and south of the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. Visitor center is beautiful with and historic look into the town and the Johnson Theater is also located in the center. Driving around the town you can see old homes and churches restored and easily photographed.

Very nice people and food, stayed in campground also very quiet.

Nice place to see it was one the small british town in tn with houses build around late 1800's but for the tour you need reservation otherwise is free

Glorious Fall day to walk around this quaint historic area. We enjoyed the trail behind the Visitors Center, just a little over a mile loop. It's a lovely forest area. We used a map from the Visitors Center and did our own self guided tour of the houses/buildings.

My family goes here every year for their British Festival/Queens tea. It's usually on mother's day weekend. We always have so much fun and enjoy all the shops and history!

What we did get to see of this place was really cool, but I think one would benefit more from doing the guided tour than the self guided one. The self guided tour was a little confusing. We got lost quite a few times, and were limited to only seeing the outsides of many of the buildings since we were only doing the self guided tour. We did however, get to go into the printing press building and got to see a really cool demo of how newspapers were printed in the 1800s. If we go here again, we’ll definitely do the guided tour to really get the full experience of the place.
Burgess Falls State Park boasts of four waterfalls that cascade into a large pool via foot trails with varying levels of difficulty, ranging from moderate to strenuous. The park is incredibly beautiful and also features hiking trails, a butterfly garden, a playground for children, and a store in close proximity. Visitors are encouraged to visit the park at least once as it is an absolute must-see destination for waterfall enthusiasts.
This place is Incredibly Beautiful ❤ our first trip..about 2 hours 30 minutes each way but it was definitely worth the travel!! I'm sharing some of my pictures for everyone to see what we seen so you can judge for yourself! There is at least 4 falls but you do have to walk half a mile or so to get to the big tall one. They also have a Butterfly Garden, hiking trails, a playground for the kids, & a store very close.I encourage everyone to go see this but the people who are waterfall fanatics...IT IS A MUST!!!

This place is magical! Parking was available and not too crowded. There's a cute little playground for the kids and restrooms close by! There's a covered area behind the restrooms with tables and benches too! The parking lot is right at the trail entrance and as soon as you enter you are blown away by a tranquil waterfall! Stunning view of Burgess falls and super easy trail with only one part with stairs, maybe 30 or so stairs going straight up but if you can manage those you are golden! Not a super long hike but so worth the view! Love, love, love this little trail!

We kayaked from Cane Hollow Recreation Area a few days after some big rainfalls. The trip to the Falls took a little over an hour and we took our time. The Falls were nuts given the large rainfall, but in an amazing way. This is a must do trip if you like waterfalls! Oh, nice launching area. Only porta-potties available and they are not on flat ground. Yikes!
Martie Guy — Google review
We love this park. If you take the lower trail you can see the lesser falls as well as the major one. They were all beautiful. The lower trail is harder with lots of roots that you have to be careful of and a large flight of stairs. There is an upper path that is mostly flat and much easier to traverse that leads to the main fall. From the main fall lookout there is also a path that goes down so you can look out from the top of the fall. My young adult sons loved that part. Also a ton of stairs on that path.
Jessica S — Google review
We walked the trail around 10am and the majority of it was all shady which made it very nice. The hardest part of the trail is if you decide to walk down from the view point to see the water up close. There are quite a few steps that are very steep! Beautiful hike and I loved the waterfalls!
Kimberly Krueger — Google review
Was a nice little day hike! It took about 1.5 hours total with stopping at the lookouts. We thought it was going to be more strenuous than it was. Not a lot of hiking but some. Mostly walking paths through the beautiful forests. There are two waterfalls on the hike! Would go here often if it was closer to home
Nathan Wranovsky — Google review
My pups and I really loved this park. The trails were easy to walk through. I have two small dogs and they did fine. It wasn’t busy at all and everything was beautiful. The falls were big and worth the walk. It’s so wooded, shaded and peaceful. It’s also close by to another state park that also has a pretty big waterfall. This was also dog friendly. I would suggest to anyone who wants to see some nature while visiting the city.
Devin Ganka — Google review
Spectacular views, well marked path and a gorgeous fall day to adventure. We went early and arrived before others so it was more peaceful but it is a highly trafficked area. The bathrooms were clean and there were picnic tables and grills both in the open and under a pavilion. It was a lovely short hike with amazing views! The park had railings and steps and garbage bins along the hiking trail. Dog friendly too.
Beth Rekoske — Google review
I had not looked this lake up before visiting, such a wonderful suprise. That waterfall that's hidden in that lake is amazing. It was about an hour kayak trip from Cane Hollow (lots of parking there) Very nice lake, lots of wildlife and the water was perfect for swimming.
April Smith — Google review
First off. No matter how many pictures you take, the sights don't touch the quality of the picture. It's breath taking. Absolutely gorgeous.
The hike itself. It's steep and strenuous, it makes a little easier since there's steps which doesn't make it seem as bad, (good cardio) but if you're a plus lady like myself with poor lung function, I advise you take it easy and slow, don't rush yourself. The end is so worth it and it's rewarding knowing you did it!!!
We all had a blast, it was great fun. You'll enjoy it. We took our dog too and she had a blast!
Shawntee Stuller — Google review
Fantastic scenic place. Park area at top of falls offers a nice view.
The bottom is accessible by kayaking about two miles and then hiking the final stretch (assuming the water level is down as was when we visited.
Visiting the base is amazing. Scenic waterways w stellar views. We saw a bald eagle on the water while kayaking.
When the water is low you’ll need to walk in sometimes rocky, muddy, and hilly areas. You’ll be forced to cross the water at times and climb over some larger rocks.
Do it. It’s amazing.
Randy Silver — Google review
Super cool hike to above the falls! If you like living on the edge, this is the place for you! You can walk out to the edge of the falls where there is rock and see it from the tippy top! Don't fall in though it's 135 ft down the falls. Pretty cool the history of the falls powering a mill to power the town back in the day.
Alieda Short — Google review
Beautiful area! The trail was not at all crowded on a Thursday even tho the parking lot had quite a few vehicles. Happy to check this state park off my list! We really enjoyed the walk to view the falls. Beautiful scenery every where we looked!
Dawn Williams — Google review
Absolutely beautiful hike. You get to see falls in many different areas which is incredible and there’s a designated viewing area for each. The whole walk you’re surrounded by trees which this time of year (April) were pretty much entirely green. A few trees contained flowers and were in full bloom.
Nicole — Google review
Beautiful waterfall and easy hiking trail. Dogs on leashes are allowed. There is water access at the cascade near the parking lot and I think the only way to swim at the bottom of the actual fall is via kayak or canoe.
Kimmie B — Google review
Beautiful park with a nice and mostly easy to moderate hike.
Walk right up from the parking lot to enjoy the cascading water immediately or take the journey down the easy to moderate path to the large falls. From there, you can view from the top or take the moderately difficult journey to the bottom of the falls.
Worth the drive from any distance!
Kenny Holland — Google review
Such a wonderful park. The trail to the top of the overlook was moderate, but mainly due to the amount of stairs and spacing between each step. There is an access road that you can walk down to make it easier, but you will still have some stairs to navigate.
JF — Google review
Nice moderate hike with beautiful falls at the end. It took us about 20 min to slowly enjoy the route. Multiple falls along the way to the main one. Restrooms are nice, dog friendly, picnic places, dog friendly.
Mary Valdez — Google review
Fun little hike and absolutely beautiful! It's dog-friendly and parts of the hike can get a little narrow with all the trees and large roots.
Because of the sections that can be slightly narrow, please please do not bring dogs that are not friendly toward other dogs. Ours was almost attacked by a larger dog that the owner couldn't handle and had slipped away from her.
Even with that, however, I would definitely visit again.
Kimberly S — Google review
Updated to add more pics and say that it is still incredible being in this park!! The park is beautiful and the falls are incredible!! We took our fur babies and did the hike to the Overlook, the entire trail was amazing!!!
Carrie Carter — Google review
Oh my goodness, this place was absolutely gorgeous! Several waterfalls throughout the hike and the last one is breathtaking. The hike was very nice, however, if needed, there is an easier way to access the waterfall by taking a road.
tracey sotelo — Google review
The 3/4 mile walk to the Big Falls was worth it. I walked on the gravel trail. It only had 2 moderate hills to walk up and had benches at the top of the hills if you needed to rest. 1.5 mile round trip.
tammy raines — Google review
One of the most beautiful waterfalls to hike to. The hike is about 1.5 miles roundtrip. Not a hard hike to do and well worth it. Multiple cascade waterfalls to view along the way. Burgess falls at the end is such a stunning waterfall to view from a platform and can walk down to the top of the falls afterwards. I recommend seeing this beautiful piece of nature.

Historic site of 2 former mills is now a popular spot for swimming & hiking.
Beautiful place!
We did the overlook and the base hike.
The overlook honestly was not worth it. You could barely see the falls.
The base hike was great! I'm sure it changes with the seasons, I was in October 2022, the water was no more then knee level throughout the river. I didn't think the hike was as difficult as others had described, besides crossing the river twice, and watching out for the slippery rocks, it was pretty easy getting across the huge boulders. The waterfalls were very nice and the fall colors were coming out too, overall very nice fun adventurous hike.

This place is really beautiful. Due to recent rains the water was high. That and the temperature stopped us from hiking the gorge, but there were people hiking it. You could tell the water was cold. We hiked some of the outer trails, but a recent prescribed burn left most of the scenery charred. It was a bit windy at times and we ended up covered in soot. It was decent exercise for the day. 3/5/22

What an amazing place! It was a challenging trail but so worth it! We experienced this with 3 adults (1 over 65) and 2 kids (10 and 6). Overall everyone enjoyed our time at the park. I would recommend the park have places along the trail with garbage bins but even without that... 5 stars!!!
Claudia David — Google review
We had been planning this hiking for a long time, so we arrived around 9:30 AM; for the first time, we did the tour, including the waterfall overlook, and then we took the Blackburn fork river trail, you can see map 1; the route was 2 miles, and we covered it in 1 hour 2 minutes to Cummins falls; I recommend patience and enjoy nature there is no rush, and the was stony path; There is a part of the trial where you have to cross the river, it is super slippery there.
After swimming and submerging, and swimming in cold waters, the route was lighter see map 2; but you have to take your time going up to the parking area; it takes us 34 minutes in 1.1 miles.
Alvaro Zea — Google review
CAREFUL! By far one of my most memorable hikes yet. You can access the overlook easily, but the hike becomes extremely strenuous once you travel to the base. You must have a gorge permit which you can purchase online and screenshot, but make sure to wear some water shoes with good grip bec you WILL have to enter some water along your journey. I'd recommend a backpack or fany pack to keep your hands free, but the views were definitely worth it.
Unjala — Google review
Beautiful area, go early for less people. I saw the falls from a super easy walk. I did not want to hike the gorge in March if it required getting wet. I didn’t see any people on the other trails I took. Not sure why but all restrooms were locked up. There is plenty of parking, dogs welcome on a leash. The park staff were friendly.
Beth Rekoske — Google review
Must get the permit to hike the gorge. It took a total of 1.5 hours from the parking lot to the base of the Falls. We crossed the river at the little waterfall on the right first. The water was about upper thigh high (I'm 5'2") - the 2nd crossing was a little slippery, the water was just below knee high - we followed the rock bed through back to the left side. The walk down to the river gets steep the closer you get. The hardest part of the hike is the walk back up from the river to the parking lot. The level was a 3 the day we hiked 5/8/22. The day before 5/7/22 it was a 4 - gorge closed. Go as early as you can because this is an out-and-back hike, it gets busy and some of the trails are very skinny.
Alieda Short — Google review
This hike is amazing. You NEED water shoes, I was most comfortable in shorts and bikini bottoms as pants will get wet. Need to get a permit beforehand online. I also had a backpack and put my phone and car keys in a ziplock bag and boy did that save my life with the deep water, highly recommend if you don’t have a waterproof case. The water was waist deep in spots when I went since it rained all week, so definitely check the weather and know what to expect as well attire wise. It was pretty strenuous with a dog, but so much fun. I got there at 8am when the park opened so I could get pictures of the falls without people standing all over the falls. It was so peaceful going early. It’s not marked, but when you get down to the river, you turn left and hike upstream. You basically hike until the path runs out then cross the river and hike the path on that side. I crossed 4 times total the whole trip. I ran into 3 other hikers who were really cool and fun so we all walked together halfway to the falls. I can see why they say it’s hard for young children, I suppose if they are carried in a pack or you pick them up for certain boulders they could do it. But it’s tough! I was picking up my 50 pound pit-bull sometimes! It’s definitely worth the pain though 10/10 yes do it if you’re in the area.
Alexis — Google review
Fantastic swimming hole. Didn't seem overcrowded and rangers on duty to keep people safe. Dog friendly too! Small fee to enter the gorge but totally worth it. The hike to the falls is not super hard but there are some slippery/rocky parts. Bring decent shoes and have a spare dry pair waiting in the car and you will be fine.
Gary Roberts — Google review
Wear appropriate hiking/water shoes! Geeze people are down there in flip flops! Lots of large boulders, slippery algae rocks when you have to cross through water, etc. Bring a backpack with lots of snacks and waters, and pack out your trash. This hike is such an amazing experience and well worth it when you arrive at the waterfall. Make sure to get your gorge access pass online to make things simple. People were jumping off the waterfalls, but it was only about 4 feet deep and all three people hurt their feet. Also, the rocks on the upper ledge are super slippery, one lady and child fell and slipped off into the pool below, and another man slipped and fell on the boulders trying to leave the falls area. My own daughter fell and took a chunk out of her knee. Also, check the weather and go when there's no rain a few days prior to help make sure the water is ankle deep and not thigh deep.
Make sure you stop to see the fossils along the rocks, and enjoy the brisk water. We brought our own life jackets. Enjoy it!
me ow — Google review
Amazing place! We were lucky to have a beautiful 70° day in November. The water was low and had not rained recently. Definitely impossible to keep your feet dry, bring old shoes or sturdy sandals not flip-flops! Worth the rugged hike over large rocks, not for the casual hiker. The return hike back was just as rugged and then it's back UP the steep hill to your car! Walking sticks/poles would be a good idea.
S K — Google review
Please take your water shoes to enjoy the hike.
You will have to cross the river twice when headed towards the falls and twice again while returning.
It can get strenuous if you are trying to avoid walking in the water and stick to the land.
Pets had a great time.
It's take about 3-4 hours for the entire trip.
Most scenic and beautiful views at the falls.
Deepti Kalkur — Google review
Checking in and getting a permit to enter the water at the falls is worth it. The hike to the gorge itself is beautiful than when you actually reach it you're blown away. Wear sturdy shoes you don't mind getting wet, wear or pack a swimsuit. And throw a towel in a backpack. Don't bring anything you can't afford to get potentially wet. This is not an average hike. Technical terrain with rocks and small boulders. The water is cold but very refreshing on a hot day! Highly recommended this experience!
Clayton Woodward — Google review
Amazing falls and the park has well maintained trails. Rocks are slippery of course but the crossings weren't too deep. Don't forget to plan ahead with a permit and for rain. It will close for any rain forecast due to risk of flash floods.
Madeline Hattman — Google review
This was so beautiful!! I do think the park should warn you more about how tough it can be to actually get to the falls and have signs reassuring you of which way to go to get to the falls. You must, must, must have water shoes or sneakers on that you don’t mind getting wet and you must have good tread on your shoes. Once you get to the actual falls you realize it was worth all that trekking to get to them!!!
R S — Google review
This is one of the top favorite places to visit when we have friends and family in the area. We live about 2 hrs away from Cummins Falls and love to make a day trip out it! We make it a point to show off this Tennessee beauty every chance we can!!
The hike can be a bit challenging for those some, but it is definitely doable if you're determined. Love that they offer life jackets and rangers are on stand-by.

Such a beautiful waterfall!
I recommend appropriate footwear (they will get we). There’s lots of rocks to maneuver around but a great activity overall. If it was summer I would definitely jump in the water.
Any Orellana — Google review
The gorge and falls exceeded our expectations! Plan on getting wet feet at least. Use the 3 points of contact rule when scrambling over wet river boulders. (Or you might eat sh.t). Make sure to pack in and pack out. The trash left by lesser humans is a real bummer. Matter of fact, next I my partner and I visit we’re gonna being an extra trash back and pack to clean up what trash we find. I think the weekends are gonna be very busy especially through the summer. Try to get there early or on a weekday. Beautiful spot. $6 a person bc there is a limited number of visitors per day fyi.
Make sure to use the restroom bf going down to the falls. Nowhere to even try to pee in the gorge. There’s nowhere to hide. Lol
Make sure to visit Rita at the country store at the entrance to the park. Great ice cream and wonderful service.
andykalber — Google review
It's beautiful there, but the walking path down to the creek before heading to the falls is a fantastic workout going back up🥵. Do that 3 or 4 times a day and you'll be skinny in no time😅😅. I went in the beginning of December so the water was very low. You could see the bedrock and walk on it. I noticed kinda a lot of trash on the sides of the walking paths and near wear the water meets the banks. The park needs to get in there and clean that up a little. Saw some Hawks and deer on my walk. Not one chipmunk or squirrel, which is weird🤔.

Great river hike up a gorge to a stunning waterfall that is tired and has a large pool of water at the base. Many great rocks to scramble over. Water proof boots are useful when crossing the stream a couple times.

Really great place with nice staff. They were showing us a snake that looked awesome. They also did a great job at letting us know about the dangers of the gorge.

It's absolutely amazing. Beautiful trails. Peaceful place. Swimming hole at the waterfall. Great park Rangers. Definitely going back.
At first glance it appears like the patk doesn't have much to offer. Many people appreciate for the historical value. Many enjoy hiking and fishing along the banks of Wolf River. At the mill there is a playground and people play in the water below the dam. Above the dam people fish. It is often stocked with trout. My favorite activity was kayaking up the Wolf River which is also an excellent way to fish the river. To see our adventures subscribe to SIMPLE LIFE BIG ADVENTURES on YouTube.

Awesome experience today touring the York homestead. Our SP Ranger tour guide was very friendly, helpful & informative on many items with this state park. Beautiful day to enjoy the outdoors. Plus we received a Tennessee State Park passport book for free. Bathrooms were very clean.

Beautiful place to visit with the whole family or just by yourself. There are Paved sidewalks to the bathroom and throughout the park . A Pavillion and a play area for the kiddos. Can swim but wear swimming shoes because it has alot of stones and plus people fish there as well. Has a beautiful little waterfall. Also has a building with some old artifacts that you are allowed to explore. There is a little store down the road you can go to for odds & ends. I go to this park as often as I can . It's also a beautiful place to bring a date if you're into nature & peace and quiet. Have a fantastic day and enjoy . P.S. Not to far away is a Restaurant call Simply fresh in Jamestown, TN that I highly recommend going to if you are looking for a awesome place to eat after your park adventures.

Some fascinating history of Sargent Alvin York. Fought in WW1, at this time had no knowledge about the war and because of this he was a conscientious objector to the war. Uncle Sam said too bad you have to go fight, and he did. You need to either watch the movie or read the history. It is fascinating. Our tour guide was very friendly, and informative on the history and life of Sgt York.

Beautiful area with a water mill and beach area. Nice picnic shelters and clean restrooms. There is a playground for children. Across the street is Sgt Yorks home with tours. In behind the house is a trail that leads to a replica of the WWI trenches. The trail leads on through the woods to a swing bridge, but sadly, it fell down last year during a storm and has not been replaced!

Me and my family finally came here yesterday for a picnic, and to check out the historical sites. We were pleasantly surprised! Our first stop was to the old mill area. I wish I had known there was a beach at the river/dam area because we would have brought swim suits! But there’s a lot of picnic benches and covered pavilions to enjoy. A really nice playground/swing area, and the beach section is great. Nice water falling, shallow areas to explore and look for river rocks. It was really nice. The mill itself was cool too. It’s from 1880. We then went over yo the York home, which is only open during tours, and as masks were enforced we didn’t go inside. But I’m sure it was cool. We also walked to the WWI bunker replica, and took the walking trail all the way down to the suspension bridge that crosses the river. Over all it was a great day and the area is beautiful. There’s also a general store right there as well. We will definitely be back to spend a whole day by the water next time!

We had such a great visit here! Started off with a $3 guided tour of the York home (under 12 are free). The guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. We walked across a swinging bridge to the burial site and church. The kids enjoyed getting to experience the trenches as well. Then we had a picnic at the Mill and dipped our feet in the Wolf River. Definitely recommend!
Underground cave tours are a great way to explore Bowling Green's Lost River Cave complex. The attraction offers an interesting experience on a subterranean boat ride that is appropriate for all ages. The tour guide provides information about the history of the cave and underground waterway while visiting "blue pools" near the entrance of the cave.
We really enjoyed our visit today! The boat ride was nice and the cave is beautiful. Our tour guide was super funny and made it so much more enjoyable as she educated us on the natural history of the area. I felt good spending money here, knowing that the proceeds go to and not for profit foundation set up to preserve this historical cavern. The site also ties in with Civil War history, which was an extra bonus for my boys.

If you love being surrounded by the wonders of God's creation then I highly recommend the nature trail here. With beautiful scenery and interesting facts about the Lost River along the way it is sure to please any nature lover. I have yet to take the underground boat tour but I'm sure I won't be disappointed when I finally do. The gift shop has unique and beautiful items for sale and the employees are very friendly. My grandchildren enjoyed the rock mining and the Lost River spring more than anything. I could go here every day and discover something new.

We've been through numerous caves, and although this one does not have the massive stalactites and stalagmites (which they explain about during the tour), it was a very interesting cave and I loved hearing about all of the history surrounding the cave and the area. Our guide, Jayden, was both personable and knew what he was talking about. I wish I had known ahead of time about all of the trails in the area as well because I would have planned to have more time before or after our tour to explore the area some more. I am very glad that we decided to do this.
The walk down to the cave was intermixed with things to see and stories to hear, so it wasn't too fast for anyone in the group and our overall group ranged from somewhere 6 months to somewhere upward of 60. You walked back on your own and at your own pace for the uphill part, and it really wasn't bad. There is a gravel parking lot at the very back of the property that will knock about 10 minutes off of the return walk if you are worried about the total distance. One woman had her son go and get their car for her. Nice short distance, so very easy to drop one person at the front desk to check-in, then drive those worried about the walk to the back of the parking lot and park there.
The only warning I would have for people with balance or knee type problems is that the two steps down into the boat can be a bit hard to manage since there isn't anywhere really good to hold onto. The guide was holding the boat steady, so he wasn't able to help much. Even though I was headed to the left side of the boat to be seated, I walked in on the right side and used the rail on shore to hold onto, then moved over to my side.

We had so much fun on our visit to Lost River Cave. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Nashville. This was our sons favorite part of vacation. It is just a short 45 minute drive from Nashville and well worth it. I purchased our tickets online and there are a few benefits of that. I was able to get a discount on the kids mining buckets which they loved! And you also receive a coupon for the gift shop. The tour guides do an amazing job and know a lot of history about the cave and area which I enjoyed. Really all the staff from the gift shop to the guides are super friendly and helpful. If you are visiting when it is cooler be sure to bring a jacket you do have to walk outside some and will want a jacket.
Just a note our kids are 9 and 2.5 and it was perfect for them. I was unsure if our daughter would enjoy it or be entertained long enough to sit still for the tour but she did fine. I highly recommend the mining bags or buckets kiddos get to pan for treasure (gemstones shark teeth and geodes) outside of the gift shop and ours loved that experienced.

This cave was beautiful! I enjoyed learning facts about the place from our tour guide. You can also rent the area for a wedding! It was really pretty and very neat to ride the boat through the cave, my son loved it. Also I think its less than a 20 minute walk to the cave or for the start of the cave tour. They are kid/baby friendly as we took a 9 year old and a 9 month old on the tour. The gift shop had lots of cute knickknacks too! We didnt have a wait to buy the tickets but we had about a 20 minute wait from time we purchased tickets until our tour actually began, which was totally fine with us as there was plenty to see to occupy our time.

2nd time here. 1st time seeing the butterfly exhibit. I love that they did it, but dislike that people touch them too much. The boat cave tour was amazing. Hannah was a great guide (5/28/23). Loved hearing the history of this place. Please go out and support this amazing little wonder!

This tour was good, not great, but a nice stop if you have extra time near Mammoth Cave.
This was the only truly wet cave we ventured to. It was a nice albeit short boat ride through the cave. Our tour guide Emma-Claire was so passionate and informative. You could tell she was interested in what she was talking about, and did a great job of inserting humor in with the history.
The cave is very pretty and the gift shop has a good selection of trinkets and handmade goods from local artisans.
This wouldn’t be a tour I would repeat, and think the price doesn’t necessarily match the length and overall experience, but still glad we experienced it.

Just got done with the boat tour and loved it. What a unique experience! Our group had a toddler and it was great—they had kid-sized life vests (required for those under 13). This seems pretty doable for different activity levels, with these two things in mind: 1) there is a bit of a walk to get to the start, so give yourself extra time, 2) at one point on the boat you have to duck pretty far down so as not to hit your head. Staff was really knowledgeable and friendly. Nice visitor center and bathrooms. Other activities available and spaces for picnics—could spend several hours here. This is run by a nonprofit. Would totally recommend to others and go again!

Such a cool experience! The short walk back up the hill is worth it! Our guide was so knowledgeable and had great dad jokes! The cave is beautiful. Was hoping it was bigger but hey its a cave! Was so interesting learning all the history and with that was put into this. Definitely worth the stop! Oh and the gift shop has so many good tourist stuff!

We took the boat tour very informative guide great visuals and very educational. Also in the park is a it's a 2 mile walking trail that could that currently has many scarecrows for the Halloween season a lot of fun for the kids and adults as well. The cave entrance can be rented out for events the day we were there it was set up for a wedding with crystal chandelier

Tour guide is very passionate and knowledgeable about the cave and knows how to deliver information to audiences with different ages. It was fun listening to all the information he gave to the tour group.
Lots of interaction between the tourist and the guide, pointing out formations of the rock, and ducking our heads down to squeeze in through the cave made up the entire experience
The whole tour was very exciting, and memorable experience. I did not know that Kentucky was full of cave until I got here and learned about it.
Highly recommend to come check this place out! Family-friendly!
I don’t know how often the tickets sell out, but you can book it online or in person!

Absolutely loved it! We had Becky as our tour guide and she did a great job with commentary and history. It’s not a super long tour so you can talk smaller children on it (there are life vests and the water is only around 4 feet deep). Would definitely recommend.

This place is really relaxing and calming. I love coming here when I am in Kentucky. They have a great gift shop and very friendly staff. The grounds are beautiful, there is hiking trails and a butterfly garden that is fun to see. It is a good place to get out in nature. I love seeing the creeks and hearing the water.
The tour is short but I enjoyed the boat ride. You don't go that deep into the cavern but I would definitely recommend coming here. It is beautiful.

Definitely book this tour! We were searching for a cave tour that is easily accessible as we had two with us that had small mobility issues that could not do much of the hiking which would be involved with the other cave tours around. They both made it up and down to the entrance with ease. Our tour guide was fantastic, knowledgeable and made the adventure enjoyable! The boat tour itself is gorgeous.

Lost River Cave is phenomenal! I had my wedding here over the weekend and I got so many compliments! The staff were so helpful and professional. Their get ready building was so helpful! I got to hang out with my girls and hook my phone up for music! I strongly recommend this venue for weddings! 10/10!
We also did the tour and that was so much fun! We encouraged everyone from our guests list to go before the wedding as well!

We came for spring break, and the boat ride through a cave is one of the things our kids were the most excited about. It was their favorite cave tour. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience here. The hiking trails were perfect for our youngest child’s little legs, and well maintained. The boat tour was a lot of fun, and a different experience than the other caves we toured. Something I saw earlier in the week at their gift shop was gone, and they were able to go into their storage area and get exactly what I wanted. It made my day because I came back to the gift shop a few days later specifically hoping that item was still there. Would recommend to anyone!

What a neat experience! It was quite unique.
We had an entertaining tour guide who shared a lot of stories about the cave and area.
The actual time on the boat in the cave was shorter than I was hoping, and you don’t travel very far. Other than that it was fun. I wouldn’t go a second time but I’m glad I did it once.

Great tour to check out the caves. We purchased tickets ahead of time, and the tour was right on schedule. The time in the boat on the water was only prob about 10 min, but it was cool to be down there. If you're in the area, I would recommend adding it to your list of things to do.

This was a different cave experience than what we are used to since this one is in a boat. It isn't a long boat tour but it is interesting. The grounds are very nice and the staff is nice and friendly. Our tour guide was fun. They also have ziplines, a butterfly sanctuary, and nature trails. There is also a very nice gift shop. This is one tour that you probably wouldn't repeat, but it is definitely worth visiting.

The National Corvette Museum is a car museum located in Bowling Green, Kentucky that features over 80 Corvettes from across the lifespan of the car. The museum has interactive exhibits and allows visitors to get behind the wheel of a Corvette stimulator. It is a great place for families to visit and learn about Corvettes history.
I was honestly surprised how much fun it was. I'm not a huge fan of cars, but there were some seriously impressive cars, but also great displays and artifacts in the museum.
My husband and father-in-law absolutely loved it and they are why we went.
The tickets were not too expensive and worth what you got out of it.
I particularly enjoyed the sinkhole exhibit.
I probably could have spent longer at each exhibit, but we were a bit pressed for time. I'd say give yourself at least 2 hours to go through the whole tour.
Erin Grigson — Google review
This place is beautiful. We didn't get to see the private collection, and I wish they had some sign at the check-in desk that have the hours of when they are open. Also the cafe was closed (closes at 3p) when we went and I was looking forward to doing that too but they weren't open.
The Museum has a wonderful collection of corvettes over the years. They deliver their timeline beautifully. TCM also shows their entire sinkhole collection and history of everything. They have a special room. It's magnificent to see. You really feel the energy from that day in there. It's displeasing to say the least. But, wonderfully put together.
There are lots of photos of the different era cars on the Google page, however, I clicked the snap button on my favorites.
I did check out the brick engraving and that's $125 to do that, but gets shared after a while due to weather. However, they do have nice octagon shaped bricks inside and those are $250 for non members and $200 for members. This would make for a better option if you would like your legacy to live on for years to come.

The experience was a great learning experience for the history of the corvette. Well worth the stop for car enthusiasts. My kids enjoyed some of the interactive exhibits. The corvette collection is fantastic. So many I would love to own. Also the sink hole exhibit was interesting and educational. The children did the simulator and both were frustrated with the steering of it but both were glad they had done it. Probably just a one time event for me..

Great private tour. Well informed docent. Excellent exhibits put together in a highly understandable fashion. The cars on display were of high quality and possessed distinctive pedigrees. I’m so glad that we took the time to tour this facility.

This place has a little something for everyone to enjoy! My husband and teenage son loved the cars from top to bottom and from the inside out! The younger kids loved designing their own car and seeing it displayed on the big screen! The girls particularly liked the different scenes of cars displayed during their various eras. The sink hole has its own special displays, which was fascinating for everyone! We were tight on time, but we’ll be back!

You don't have to be a Corvette nut to absolutely love this place, but it helps to love cars!! A superb museum with everything you need to see and know about Corvettes. The main lobby is also the delivery area for people to collect their new cars, so you get to see the absolute latest cars too. There's also a great exhibit about a sink hole that swallowed a load of cars from their collection... very interesting.

I grew up in a Corvette family, so this was a must to stop and see. It just happened to be on our way home from vacation. We added a night in Bowling Green to be able to see this and Mammoth Cave. The history is fantastic and the cars are oh my!! Both new and old, fantastic! If you love cars or Corvettes, then you need to stop here! I did purchase my tickets online ahead of time. They do say they are food for 1 year from the purchase date as long as it is not a combo ticket. We went on a Monday morning and it wasn't super busy yet.

Our final stop before heading back to Michigan! Guess you could say we saved the best for last. The museum was super cool and has so much to see. There’s also go karting available at the tracks, but we didn’t do it since it was cold and rainy. Definitely do if you get the chance though! And the little restaurant inside is AMAZING.

Wow!!! This place is amazing! What a great job of preserving and presenting the history of the Corvette. The displays are immaculate. The entire museum is very well lit and all the signage is easy to read. I did not know that they had a cave collapse that wrecked eight cars. I couldn't stay as long as I wanted, but I'll be back SOON!!

Good museum and not just for fans or owners. A bit pricey for what you see but it’s inline with similar museums.

You need to go visit this place if you like cars.
We decided to add the guided tour to our ticket. We thought it would add more to the experience. Wow, were we correct. Our tour guide, Jackson, was amazing. Although he was young (19 to 21, we guessed), he knew so much about the history and construction of the Corvette. Jackson worked on the assembly line, as did his father and grandfather. You could tell his love of the Corvette. With 3 generations of knowledge, Jackson was able to bring in personal stories to the tour, not just dry facts. We loved every minute of our tour.
The museum is extremely interesting. They have Corvettes from 1953 to today. The displays are well thought out and the descriptions well written. It isn't just a bunch of cars lined up like a car show.

Had a great visit to the Museum. Glad to see that they were open on Sunday and went with my 2 sons. The place is very well kept and modern. They had a restaurant, library and archive (not open), gift store, stimulator and of course the main museum. We loved the Education center and all the interactive activities within. It kept my 8 and 4 year old entertained and excited. The 'shrine' to the cave-in was awesome and informative. I do wish they left a bit more of the cave-in exposed but probably couldn't for safety reasons. All this along with the awesome, historic Corvettes made it a trip to remember. We plan on returning.

Great place to visit for car lovers and just a hour north of Nashville. Interesting collection and history, plus a look down at the sink hole that swallowed millions of $ in vehicles a few years ago. Even got to see some buyers take delivery of their new cars. Affordable

My boyfriend and I went to visit for the first time on his birthday weekend. We had a really great time. We loved the seeing the authenticity and beauty in the cars and learning about them and the people that made them. We were a little disappointed that when we went some of it was closed off because of renovations. But we still had an awesome experience and cannot wait to bring our kids!

Beech Bend is a family amusement park with a large variety of rides for all ages. The amusement park is open from May through September each year, and offers plenty of excitement for thrill seekers and families alike. With nearly 30 rides for the whole family to enjoy, Beech Bend is perfect for summer fun in Bowling Green KY.
Came to the Tri-Five Nationals for the first time and was blown away. Such a beautiful area! The bathrooms were clean and well managed. Everyone was so helpful if we had any questions. The cars were beautiful and just extraordinary. So much classic history in one place! Can't wait to go back again next year! The drag race was amazing!!

I like this place but I honestly expected more from it. They have a small pool and splash park area for babies and toddlers which is really fun. Their wave pool, lazy River, and splash park for bigger kids is always a good time and keeps everyone cool and happy. Food is decent but the lines can get ridiculously long. There aren’t enough rides for small children but it is a good time if you have older kids. The workers there for the most part though are awful. Terrible attitudes, obviously don’t want to do their jobs, and some of the ride operators seem really young to be doing their job or seem like it isn’t a priority. It’s also very expensive so just be prepared.

Took my girls for a small getaway. We had a blast! The kids loved everything! We were a little short for one or two rides. But that just makes us want to go back next year. The magic show was great. My little one got to go on stage. She loved it! Rides are great! The haunted house ride to us is our favorite. 10 plus times of riding it. It had been years since I had been. Loved everything about it!

Beech Bend isn't a bad park, but it's definitely fallen off from when I considered it a five-star local park.
Let's start with the rides. Beech Bend is mostly populated by a large variety of carnival style flat rides, ranging from a swinging ship, to a classic tilt o whirl, to the newer Vortex and drop tower rides. There are three notable coasters - a very rough wood coaster, the Kentucky Rumbler, which has gotten considerably more rough in the last few years despite an excellent layout, a steel spinning wild mouse coaster, and a spinning kiddie coaster. Not bad, not great. Given some maintenance and retooling, the Rumbler might become a great coaster again. There are a great selection of water slides if that's your thing.
Now for amenities. Parking is free. Drinks were free in years past, but are now $3.50 for a 20 ounce drink (very disappointing). A burger runs 6.50, chicken strips and fries 10. Beech Bend Hall, which was previously a decently well supplied arcade, is now empty but for five claw machines and three carnival games. Ironic given that the walls still have skee-ball and arcade signs.
There are few places to cool down besides the water park, and little shade. I cannot recommend Beech Bend during the heat of the summer for those reasons. If unlimited free sodas return, then we'll talk.

Went a while back (prior to COVID-19) and loved it. It’s a nice place. Rides didn’t have long wait times. It was very clean. Not too crowded. This park deserves more love and I plan on returning this summer. Such an under rated and under appreciated little amusement park. Would totally recommend.

The park is clean and a great size. Big enough for the entire family to enjoy but not *too* big to where you have to worry much about your kid getting lost. Nice size lazy river that connects to the wave pool and adult beverages are available, which is sometimes nice. Good variety of water slides and amusement park rides!

Street Outlaws NPK 2023 was awesome. Parking for the VIP ticket holders was less than acceptable. The access to the pits and starting line was a great experience, but seating was a nightmare. All in all.....we had a good time and will be back in the future.

This is the perfect place to bring teens that just want to hang out together and ride some rides and eat some junk food. It's also great for families with young children as nothing is very spaced out. It is a smaller amusement park, but don't let that be a deterrent. My son and his friend had an absolute blast here.

This is like a big county fair meets a community splash/water park. They have a drag strip and camping too but we came for the park for our 3.5 year old. He loved it. The go karts werent running when we were there and the haunted house is probably PG17 at best. I went in it alone to scope it out. I wouldnt recommend it to young kids or those afraid of surprise shots. Regular tickets are $49.95 but we got discount from our local radio station.
El Sayre — Google review
The physical space in the park is okay, but only okay. There are a couple of roller coasters, but other than that, it's all state fair style rides that you can find anywhere. The staff are neither friendly nor particularly helpful. My biggest issue, though, is the fat shaming. They literally weigh you before they will let you get on the water slide, and if that weren't bad enough, they don't do it until after you've waited in line and climbed a bunch of stairs, meaning that if they decide you don't fit their perfect little mold, you then have to walk all the way back down the stairs, against the line, and process how you've just wasted a whole bunch of time waiting in line only to be humiliated and fat-shamed when you got to the end. I read the other reviews, so I already know that every time they get called out about this, they make excuses about how the manufacturer set the weight limit, but they're the ones who chose where to place the scale, and they're the ones who chose to buy a water slide with a weight limit in the first place. It is totally unacceptable and not that hard to fix. Do better, Beech Bend.

Family-geared zoo attraction featuring Australian animals such as kangaroos, plus cave tours.
We had a group of 11, made reservations online for a golf cart and believe me with the steep hills and wonderfully spaced out exhibit areas it's a must. We went to celebrate my Granddaughter’s 10th birthday and Mother's Day. The ages in our group ranged from 10-63, a very diverse group and the 15 yr old loved it as did the late teens early 20s did. The adults as well it was a fun experience for all of us.
All the staff was friendly and patient with all the questions asked. Everything to me was fairly priced.
The gift shop was nicely equipped, the fudge is wonderful. The cave your was short but very interesting. There is a staircase and Steep 44 steps coming back up. If you have knee problems you might want to rethink going but that's up to you. The price of the cave is included in your ticket. Go if you can you won't be sorry. The pricing is great.

Very clean, well kept. Lots of hills so the golf carts are a huge necessity. All staff are friendly. The cave tour guide is funny and makes it enjoyable. My family and myself had a great time. Getting to interact with the Kangaroos was amazing. The birds were very pretty. It was fun inside the bird cage.

We've been twice now, and my family loves it. We rented a golf cart this time because it was an extremely hot day, but it can be walked easily. The mammoth onyx cave inside the park was really cool and is free to go inside after you've paid to get into the park itself. Highly recommend.
Terra Roberts — Google review
I have mixed reviews about this place. There really aren't too many animals for the pricing of this place which is why I rated it 4 stars and not 5. Also, I felt like I had no choice but to rent a golf cart with the layout of the zoo and how hilly the paths were just to get to the first animal, especially with 3 younger children. They loved the golf cart and it was amazing to use as refuge from the rain and easier to get to each place. So the pricing seemed over the top including a golf cart.
However, the cave tour that is included was a really neat one. We actually almost enjoyed it more than mammoth cave. So that was worth it and personally to me, petting the kangaroos and emus was worth it as well. The feed was a little pricey but once again, if you have ever wanted a close up encounter with kangaroos and emus then this part alone was worth it. They also have animal shows that we did not get to enjoy due to the rain that possibly would have also made it worth it. The little gift shop also has delicious fudge that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Overall, if you're OK with spending the extra money for a few cool encounters then I highly recommend this place. If you're looking for a full zoo experience of many animals this wouldn't be the place.

Oh my goodness! My family had so much fun here while vacationing in Cave City, KY. We were able to take a quick cave tour with a very entertaining tour guide. We got to see and interact with many exotic animals. And, they had two great gifts shops. Our favorite two activities were the sheep herding and feeding the kangaroos. The gal with the sheep was so knowledgeable about the sheep and dogs and was so impressive to watch. The kangaroos were so friendly and SOFT!!! I could have stayed in with them all day. This was the most fun interaction with animals I have ever had! There are no time limits once you are inside the park so you can take your time to explore the park. They even have golf cart rentals for families who would like to visit the park in extreme comfort or for those who aren't able to get around the large park by walking. This place is fantastic. I highly recommend a visit here for people of all ages!

We live about 4 hours away from Kentucky Down Under and it was a perfect day trip. Absolutely worth while and memorable! Feeding and petting the kangaroos was a wonderful experience for myself and my kids. Also loved all of the amazing wood carvings throughout the entire park! Overall wonderful place for kids and adults alike!

We highly enjoyed interacting with the various animals and exploring the Mammoth Onyx Cave. Our tour guide within the cave did a great job of explaining the history and making us laugh. Definitely recommend renting a golf cart if you come on a hot day or are with small children. There is an incline after the main entrance, and we were glad that we rented one!

Admission was $28.54. There is a small cave tour. They have dingos, wolves, a feeding area for donkeys, and goats. There is a gated area where you can enter and walk among emus, tortoises, and kangaroos. Just do not get too close to the barn with the do not enter signs. The employees will make an example out of you. Anyhoo, I had a lot of fun. I got to pet a kangaroo!

This was one very fun trip with our kids, we felt instead of watching animals behind enclosure, it’s fun to pet them and especially feeding Kangaroos, Feeding birds, feeding goats, sheep’s. Kids were thrilled and loved that experience. Also the Onyx cave is good, but the way they are not keeping the cave very well but the feeding and petting animals was worth. It’s not budget friendly - charge for entrance, high priced food, shopping as usual and golf carts rental is kind of needed to avoid walk but prebook you plan to take one. Overall it’s good to visit.

Love going to this place, it’s a bit pricey, but worth it because you get up and close with the animals and it’s never as crowded as the zoo. The animals are fun and friendly (the ones they let you interact with). Being able to feed kangaroos is such a cool experience, getting to be up close and pet a giant horse was also great since us city folk don’t get to do that often 🤪

My 11 year old daughter and I spent an afternoon here. We were there from 1:15-5, which was plenty of time to do every without rushing. However we could have easily spent the entire day 9-5 going to each exhibit repeatedly. The staff were incredibly friendly and engaging. They were patient and would answer every question with a smile on their faces! The animals are very friendly, you could tell that much love and kindness are given to them by the staff. The bathrooms were clean, the cafe was reasonably priced and tasty, and the gift shop was not overwhelming! Lastly, we absolutely loved being able to rent a golf cart to drive the beautiful grounds! We will definitely return bringing family and friends!

As a truck driver, this was a very convenient place to visit, being across the street from Loves. They do offer a discount for CDL holders. Most of the employees were relatively friendly. however, the young girls at the front desk were quite rude and clearly didn't want to be there. My dog enjoyed getting out of the truck and doing something fun. Overall, the park was nice and well kept. The animals were great, except I had an issue with one of the bird enclosures. They were flying into the walls, clearly trying to escape. That was kind of a downer. Regardless, we enjoyed our trip and enjoyed a cave tour on the way out. You don't need a golf car unless you're really that lazy. Would definitely recommend it as a good afternoon activity.

Beautiful little zoo. My kiddo enjoyed every minute inside. Clean & Well maintained. Restrooms conveniently located. Golf carts help to go around. Cave is marvelous. We can feed kangaroos, goat and many more. Shows are very interesting. Your trip will be well worth every penny and you will not be disappointed. Only suggestion I have is to have parking paved.

Nice place to visit. The cave tour was nice without a lot of narrative. Lasted approximately 35 minutes. The animals in the zoo were well kept. Wolves and foxes were active despite being hot. Birds were on full display. Kangaroos and emus were easily approached and we enjoyed the albino roos a lot. Great place to bring the little ones!

The zoo was nice to see and the peering zoo was fun for the family. Kangaroos were gentle and interactive. Little pricey for a cart rental but makes it way easier to get around area. Cave was nice but obvious signs of decay.

Went here while in the area visiting Mammoth Cave National Park. We were originally drawn in by the offer to pet kangaroos but also saw they had a cave tour. Long story short, this place did not disappoint! We walked the grounds to see all of the cool animals (there were a lot) and also got some hands on time with attractions to feed the birds, emus, kangaroos, goats, cows, donkeys, and wallabees! Super kid friendly and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. After touring the grounds, we went on the cave tour on the property and learned a lot. When we originally toured this cave, it was our first of 5-6 while in the area and would land middle of the pack for cool caves in my opinion. I am not sure if the cave tour was included in the original entrance fee but was still pretty cool. Make sure to ask about the “Cave Wars” in the area!

Pretty fun little place to stop, especially if you have kids. Lots of Kangaroos to pet. Be sure to bring cash so you can purchase animal food to feed them
It's not a large area to walk around if you're average fit, but you may want to rent one of the golf carts if you have children or elderly with you.

Not worth the $100 it cost for 2 adults and gold cart rental.
Hardly any animals out, no birds it should be closed during the colder months. Only takes about an hour to complete minus any "shows" or the cave tour which took 20 minutes
Go to the Safari park in Alamo TN well worth the drive and you pay by the car load. You drive through the park took us 2 hours and we were quick about it. You feed all the animals from your car they will come and stick their heads 8n the vehicle. It's on a open field. Definitely going back so many laughs and memories.

Was very worried when we pulled in and saw empty school busses but even though the place wasn't that big we weren't ever crowded. We didn't get to visit the caves because our toddler was getting fussy but we loved feeding the kangaroos and birds. We also fed the horses and goats. I felt the feed prices were reasonable and affordable. We didn't eat at the Cafe but used their conveniently located restrooms. We also enjoyed the animal show and got to hold the turtle. We rented a golf cart and am so glad we did. Will revisit again for sure.

We had the best time here with our 3 kids. The kangaroos, wallabies, and emus were so friendly (and you definitely get an up close experience). Feeding the Lorikeets was a great time as well; they’re gorgeous birds!
Definitely don’t miss the cave tour. The guide was awesome and informative, and it is by far the coolest cave we’ve been in so far!
We did miss seeing a few birds that weren’t in their exhibits, but understand it may not be the best time of year for them, so we will see them when we return- which we definitely will be doing.

The family and I had a fabulous time visiting KY Down Under. We had agreat interactions with Kangaroos and Birds of all types. The staff was friendly and helpful. We rented a 6 seater golf cart to get around the property, which was a life saver with the Mother in Law. The Kangaroos fur is incredibly soft. Thisnplace is so unique to the Southwest United States. It was not a massive place by any means, but we had fun with all the animal encounters. We missed the cave tour this time because our 3 year old doesn't love them.

I had the best day ever it was a little pricey for a small zoo but it was worth it I didn't get to see the horses but at least I had a blast I saw a cave and they have kangaroos & you get to feed them and the goats and birds. I don't know when I will be back but when I do I will have a lot more money to spend. Also tell Nemo the kangaroo 🦘 thanks for smiles I really needed them today. I know I got dirty but it was worth it. And I save a snake from being run over.

This was a great experience for the family. It’s near Mammoth Cave, and a slow place where you can see exotic animals like Kangaroos, Ostriches, camel, and many birds. The gift shop is a nice place to stop by after riding your golf cart around to have some fudge. Highly recommend getting the golf cart, lots of land to walk if you don’t have wheels.

Wonderful weekend or day trip. We went kayaking and returned the next day to go horse back riding. Staff deserves to be tips for the hard work and making your visit full service. Your day will be enjoyable for everyone. The property is very clean and animals are loved.

We loved the one hour horse ride! Our guide, Justin, was fantastic. His helper, Ella (I think), was super sweet and had the kids comfortable and well instructed before we headed out. We went with kids almost 6 yr old, 7 yrs and 11 yrs.
This was the closest to real ridding I’ve ever experienced on a trail ride. The trails weren’t manicured, there were steep ups and downs, and you needed to actually guide about 1/2 the horses.
It was hot! But the trail was all in the woods so that made it bearable for us and the horses.
If you can, wear tick/bug spray, and bring cash to tip your guide. 😀

This was our second to last adventure before heading back to Michigan. We did the ziplining and horseback riding. Staff was incredible and will explain everything step by step to ensure you’re comfortable and safe. I would advise parents to be cautious of letting the little ones ride alone on the trails though as they are very tight in some areas and the horses like running downhill. Very nice horses though. We had a blast, thank you.

We had so much fun. Our guides were very nice and great. I believe our guides names were Justin & Grace. I can be wrong. But either way it was a lot of fun.
We did have to wait about 30 minutes for them to set up the gear.
They had dogs exploring out front and they were very nice and friendly.

Wonderful people, sweet horses, and multiple trails to take through the woods. It was so much fun we went twice!
The kayaking was also a blast! I wish they could have some updated vehicles, but for transporting wet customers they work! The people at both locations were wonderful and they truly care about you and the park. They were helpful, informative, kind, and willing to go above and beyond. Highly recommend all of their services!

Made a last minute decision to go riding here , it was awesome I can’t remember everyone’s name but I believe two of the guides were Ella and Brandon ? And another gal with cool purple hair !, I rode on Pixie and my friend rode on Misty , the trail was adventurous compared to most other trail rides I’ve been on and the horses were great , they had some spunk to them for sure and weren’t just zombie horses that went on autopilot ( definitely be honest with the guides about how much horse riding experience you have so they can match you with an appropriate level horse ) . It’s neat to know that the animals are well taken care of and they rotate them out to pasture through the seasons . Everyone at the facility was super friendly and there were a couple dogs they had hanging out that were friendly as well , I’ll definitely be returning with friends who come to town for a visit !!!!!!!

It was a lot of fun for me and my family. My kids, (youngest in Kindergarten) all had a good time. (Especially in the gift shops 🙄)It was beautiful inside and out. My only complaint is that I wish that the tour operators had given us a little more time to look at everything. (Like the writings on the walls from the 1800s. I would have loved to have see more of them.) They kind of rushed things a bit, but to be fair, I understand that they have other tours coming through. The tour guide was very nice and had fun stories about everything. It was a great experience. I would be careful choosing what type of tour you book if you have physical limitations. Some of the areas are incredibly narrow and steep. It would definitely not be possible for some. We will be going back again!

Just for a FYI they have more than just horseback riding so check them out.

Horseback riding was great. Our guide was super helpful and knowledgeable about the animals. You don't need much experience at all if any. Beautiful horses and great scenery on the trails.
Kayaking was awesome, the boys that provided transportation to and from the river were fun and respectful young men. The owner was super friendly and welcoming. The green river is a must see if you love the water.

They really have a lot to do here. We only took advantage of the zip lines and the obstacle course with our two grandsons 8 and 12 years old. They both enjoyed the zip lines a lot the 8-year-old wasn't quite ready for the obstacle course, but the 12-year-old excelled at it. The area we were at also had horseback riding. Lots of animals horses dogs Etc walking around the area. Very cool rural place.

We were coming from Chicago, and we had booked our Kayak trip a month out, unfortunately we were unable to kayak the day of our reservation due to thunderstorms.
The staff was friendly and understanding of the situation so they helped us out to solve the situation. We wish we could have kayaked or done the other outdoor adventures but Mother Nature had other plans that day!
If we plan to come back to Cave City in the future, we would wait until booking any adventures until the day of or even before if the weather turns out to be a thunderstorm.
Thank you again to the staff for being understanding!

Mammoth Cave, situated in central Kentucky, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an International Biosphere Reserve. Maker’s Mark is a must stop on the bourbon trail! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Taylor. The distillery grounds are beautiful and they have a very historic feel. It is amazing to learn how much of this production is still done by hand including the cutting of the labels and the wax seal. A fun experience in the gift shop is that you can buy an unsealed bottle and dip it in the wax yourself. They tasting consisted of 5 pours. They have plenty of parking here but the tour ends at the gift shop that’s a ways away from the parking lot but there is a shuttle bus that will take you back.

We made the two hour drive out here, because we heard it was a great tour. It was! It was totally worth it!! We were a little nervous, as the three of us were teamed up with a party bus group of guys - but they wound up being awesome, too. Our guide was wonderful; she was very knowledgeable, fun, professional, and personable. Whisky kitty was a bonus. At the end, we got to dip our own bottles. The selection available was really nice, as was the staff. Thank you for such a great tour!

Chet was a fantastic tour guide! I really enjoyed The Remarkable Experience, which is definitely worth the money, having a small group and exploring parts of the distillery campus not everyone gets to see. The stained glass and art around campus were beautiful, and so were the lake and private tasting rooms. Chet answered all our questions, and we looked up a few he didn't know off hand. Stopping at the gift shop mid tour was fun, and we were all able to dip bottles before continuing (the gift shop would have been closed since our tour was the last one and 2.5 hours) Ethan joined us for the last part of the tour going around the see the animals and lake. His insight as the resident grounds/animal caretaker was fantastic.
This trip to Makers prompted us to take advantage of the ambassador program, I'm excited to come back in the near and far future.
We were sad the restaurant was closed, but i hope to enjoy some food next time we visit. Everyone said it's an amazing and rotating menu/always changing.
Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend it! Next time, we will look into the Oak Experience or Wax/Honey one with Ethan!

This is simply a MUST VISIT on the bourbon trail. Our tour guide was incredible. He was funny but also went very in depth with his explanation of the facilities, the grounds, and the general history of Maker's Mark. I learned so much about Maker's Mark during my tour. The grounds were absolutely stunning and the tasting at the end of the tour was great as well. Then we got to dip our own bottles in the gift shop which was awesome! They also have some exclusive flavors only offered at the gift shop. Overall experience was a 5/5 and I would return just for the offerings at the gift shop and to dip another bottle!

In one word, beautiful.
But this a review and more words are required.
The standard tour was thorough and had a great tasting at the end.
Great drinks at the bar and you can take one on the tour with you, until you enter the distillery proper.
Words can’t capture the quality of landscaping and attention to artistic detail on this property. A true visitor experience.

The grounds are truly beautiful. Whether you cleft a formal tour and see the production, bottling and stamping facilities, or you grab a cocktail and walk the beautiful 100+ acres that they own, it’s a fantastic time. And to answer the question everybody has, yes, you can still dip your own bottle without going on a tour. They have a selection of bottles to choose from and purchase to then dip in the iconic red wax in their gift store. Absolutely recommend, but be careful if you use Google Maps, it will take you down the skinny backroads and can be a bit sketchy to get there. 10/10, would recommend.

What an incredible, unique experience we had at Maker's Mark Distillery. The grounds are exceptional, the tour is fantastic, and the tasting is second to none. I had my doubts going into this, and coming out I was a believer. The bar experience just before going on the tour was fantastic and the tour itself was an eye opener. Everyone should experience this the smells and the sounds and the sights are worth every cent you pay.

The grounds of Makers Mark are beautiful and the company is focused on sustainability and using as much as they can from their land in their food and cocktails. Our guide Lexi did a fantastic job. She’s very knowledgeable and was able to answer every question that our group asked. There is a restaurant on site open for lunch.
My husband and I chose the Remarkable Experience tour. At the time of our visit, it was $100 per person. The tour was 2.5 hours and we saw the distilling process, bottling, the gardens, a rickhouse, an aging area with a limestone wall, and we finished at the lake with a pour on the side of the water. Most of the tour is walking, but guests ride in a vehicle to the farm/lake area. We appreciated the extent of the tour but felt the price is too high. We didn’t get to sample a rare product or keep the glass. For us, the best part of the tour was getting to sample a pour straight from a barrel.

Such a great experience on the tour. Our tour was fun and very informational. The campus was beautiful and we got a great look at how they make their bourbon. I especially liked the look at the cellar which makes MM46 and the distillers select. This is definitely one of the must see distillery’s on the bourbon trail.

We did six or seven tours / tastings while we were here this week and this one was both the one I was looking most forward to, and the one that was overall probably by favorite. The property alone was absolutely incredible. The tour, given to my group by I believe Andrew, was fantastic. He really shows how passionate and knowledgeable about bourbon and everything Makers Mark... From the history to the processes involved in all phases of making their products to the tasting. Such a cool place and I was not disappointed in my expectations. Probably even exceeded. I would totally do this tour again if I'm ever back on the trail!

Had a fantastic time at Maker’s doing the tour. Our guide was Tim, and he was excellent - super informative, funny but casual and his passion for bourbon and the brand was obvious. The tour is brilliant, you really feel that you’re going behind the scenes and they don’t hide anything, showing you everything from the mash tubs, the labelling, storage and even the bottling. Recommend buying and dipping a bottle at the end, a great gift. Would love to go back!

The grounds and tour are amazing. The stained and blown glass are worth every step to see as well as the garden. The only “warning” is that they do not accept cash and the “tips” are included as a service charge. 40$ for two cocktails and not the usual friendliness from the bar tender.

We went on a Beyond the Bourbon tour today with our host Jim. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We showed up exactly on time and had to run in to make sure we were a part of the group. We honestly thought we were in the wrong area, thankfully we were not. The tour was very in-depth and Jim was full of so much knowledge about the process, the history and did a great job making sure we saw all areas of the grounds. Their grounds are top notch! We enjoyed 4-5 samples along the tour. We did pay to dunk a bottle after the tour, we tried to get a slam dunk, but the vat wasn’t very deep 🤣. After we walked around some more we had a few cocktails at the bar. The Apple butter Old Fashioned was phenomenal. Our bartender was very friendly and made is feel right at home. I highly recommend adding this to your trip!

We had a wonderful time on tour at Maker’s! Josey was a personable tour guide that made it such a fun experience. The tour is unique from others where you get to see the printing room, hand dipping line, and the private cellar. The on site sandwich place was way too pricey for lunch but good food and decent service. If you’re trying to grab lunch before a tour give yourself at LEAST an hour or get takeout sandwiches. We like the vibe of the facility and loved the art museum in the visitor center! Only wish they had more EV chargers.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Maker's Mark Distillery tour, and it was nothing short of a delightful journey into the world of bourbon craftsmanship.
From the moment I stepped onto the picturesque distillery grounds, the warm Kentucky hospitality was palpable. The staff were not only knowledgeable but also passionate about sharing the artistry behind Maker's Mark. Our guide, Sarah, infused the tour with humor and insights, making it both educational and entertaining.
The tour took us through every step of the bourbon-making process, from the carefully selected grains to the iconic red wax-dipping of the bottles. Witnessing the massive fermentation tanks and the meticulously maintained barrel warehouses was a visual feast for any whiskey enthusiast.
One highlight was the tasting session, where we sampled a variety of Maker's Mark expressions. The knowledgeable staff guided us through the nuanced flavors, allowing us to appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into each bottle. The ambiance of the tasting room added an extra layer of charm.
The scenic beauty of the distillery, with its rolling hills and charming architecture, only enhanced the overall experience. The attention to detail in preserving the distillery's history while embracing modern innovations is commendable.
One minor suggestion would be to consider expanding the tour options for visitors looking for a more in-depth exploration. Nonetheless, the current tour provides an excellent overview for both novices and seasoned bourbon enthusiasts.
In conclusion, the Maker's Mark Distillery tour is a must-visit for anyone seeking an immersive and enjoyable journey through the world of bourbon. The combination of warm hospitality, expert guidance, and the distinct flavor profile of Maker's Mark make it an unforgettable experience. I left with a newfound appreciation for the art of bourbon-making and a bottle of Maker's Mark to savor the memories at home. Cheers! 🥃

I enjoyed the self-guided tour of the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln. He started off with a 15 minute movie and then browsed through the historical displays at the visitor center before going to the memorial. Lots of history here that I didn’t know before and seeing it firsthand was great. All of this for free, what could be better?!

Very neat historical site! You can go up some stairs into a building that resembles the Lincoln Memorial. Inside of it you find a replica of the home Abraham Lincoln was born in. There are staff in there that speak about the history of his birth, etc. There is also a short hike and a nice visitors center. The visitors center has a small gift shop, some exhibits to learn about Abraham Lincoln’s family and the time he grew up, and even a movie viewing room where you can learn more. Definitely worth a stop if it’s near a path of travel!

What an experience! It was great learning about the man himself and seeing where he spent some of his childhood. He has such an incredible story and I love learning new things about him which this location offers. Free parking and access plus a friendly helpful staff. We came late morning and it was pretty empty but when we were leaving two bus loads of students pulled up. Glad their learning but also glad we were there before them.

This was a very neat historical place to visit. The building had a walk through exhibit with a couple hands on activities for the kids. Very informative about Abraham Lincoln, his ancestors and his childhood. Interesting items to see. Inside the memorial building is a replica of his log cabin he grew up in. There are some neat paths to walk and check out. Overall, I would recommend this as a stop if you have any interest in Lincoln, how people lived back then, or if you were looking to get a junior ranger badge.

20230911 The main area of this historic site is actually a lot smaller than I thought, I didn't explore the trails, which probably covered a large area of this property. I'm not sure if the Lincoln Inn is operational. The property is very well maintained. I didn't take the stairs down to the natural spring where Lincoln drank from. It's just about 10 or so stairs down and back up.

Well maintained trails. There were a variety of trees labeled and what the wood was potentially used for. The memorial building was awesome. The visitor center had so much information. It was a great site to visit.

This is a nice little place to visit in Kentucky. There's a short but very educational presentation in the visitor center. Our kids enjoyed our visit and it's close enough to mammoth cave that I highly suggest visiting the place if you're already in the area.
It's very interesting knowing how Abraham Lincoln family traveled from the east to Kentucky then moving to Indiana then to Illinois. I also learned that he has a sister who died while they were still living in Kentucky.

Beautiful place to visit. Took about an hour to go through the whole park. Definitely a cool place to visit if you love history.

Never disappointed by the National Parks Service and their dedication to preserving history and nature. This site is no different. Informative and beautiful, you need to visit the early beginnings of our 16th President.

People usually think about Illinois when thinking about Abraham Lincoln but he was actually born on a farm in Kentucky and his early days in this state were the foundation for the man he was to become. It is definitely worth the visit if traveling through or visiting central Kentucky. The visit does not take long and they have an excellent informational film in the visitor center. You might want to use your GPS for navigation. I lost cell phone signal well before I got there.
My Beautiful Fiance Trinia & I visited Lincoln's Childhood home on Labor Day. It was her first time experiencing it. We enjoyed it very much. And we even hiked the trail there as well.

This place is pretty neat! The museum is actually an old pub that was converted. This is the location where President Lincoln spent a lot of his childhood. The site offers a replica log cabin as well. There is a hiking trail that takes you around the property. It is located in a beautiful valley area. This site is free to visit. I wish the museum was a little bit bigger, but definitely still worth checking out.

This place is right beside the road. Wonderful area to visit and see some cool history. Abraham Lincoln lived here at Knob Creek as a boy. Free to pull into parking lot and walk around. Highly recommend.

Really nice little park. It was cool seeing where one of our greatest, if no the greatest, president spent some of his childhood. When we went the visitor center was closed, which was a bummer, but we were still able to walk around and see the cabin.

Another part of Lincoln’s birthplace exhibits. Great to see how he spent his early childhood. Good park rep answering every question. Must visit if you are already visiting the birthplace about 10 miles away.

Great place to walk around and see some nature as well as take in some history. Well manicured grounds and plenty to read on the stations in the park.

A beautiful, modest-sized park that is seated in a deep valley and next to a rock-heavy creek. the park also includes a pretty intense trail up to an overlook. However, the view from up top isn't as impressive as anticipated due to bush/tree overgrowth. Would be awesome if Park Service could get up there and clean it up a bit and open the view. Nevertheless, my family thoroughly enjoys the park and it's never too busy.
Joseph Stabler — Google review
Great little visitor center with a small gift store and some exhibits. You likely won’t need longer than half an hour there, unless you decide to hike the 1.5 mile (estimated) hiking trail around the main field

Quick stop in addition to Abe Lincoln's birthplace site.
It is simple but very informative. The knob creek hike is enjoyable.
The staff is very helpful.
Beware of the spotty cellphone service In the area though.

20231011 Albe is now Mary Todd and she is doing great in her new home. She gained some weight, is very talkative, and hasn't given birth yet.
20230911 I pulled into a parking lot and a sweet tuxedo kitten walked up to my car. This is very unusual. She was so thin. I gave her some of my dogs' Stella and Chewy freezer dried patties and some chicken jerky. She chowed down 1.5 patties and a piece of chicken jerky. Poor thing. Another lady from CA walked up and was thinking about taking her home but not sure how she would do it since they flew here. I was considering taking her home to VA with me if no one takes her. Then a pickup truck pulled up, and a nice lady said that she was coming back to see if the kitten is still here, and would take her back to NH with her. That's when she informed me that the kitten is pregnant. If she decides to keep the kittens, she has a barn on her property. The kitten found a new home, and her new name us Albe, named after Abraham Lincoln 🥰. That was the highlight of my visit! This historic site us pretty small. Not much to see but still interesting to stop by on the way to the national historical site. The restrooms were locked.

Very cool place with a lot of history. The buildings are very nice and the area is well kept. This is extremely easy to locate and there is plenty of parking. This was a cool little pit stop on the way back to ohio from Nashville. There are benches and bathrooms as well as a visitor center. We got there right when the visitor center was closing so we were not able to go inside. There were very few people there at 4pm.

Lots to learn about Lincoln here and was a pleasant place to visit

Stumbled on it on the way back to the hotel. Tavern was closed for the season. Plaques around grounds for self tour.

Free admission to an interesting piece of history. While the site dispels the myth that Lincoln came from a dirt poor background, it is obvious that frontier life was both humble and challenging. It was truly amazing that he rose from these beginnings to the presidency.
The cabin on site is that of a boyhood friend and was confirmed to be period specific. The property sits on the old Cumberland Road (now a paved state highway that is a beautiful drive), and you can see the land the family worked.
Walk down to the creek where the Lincoln family got water. The rangers said it had been mostly dry for a couple of years, but it had running water when we visited. I presume the name is where Knob Creek bourbon derived its name.
The Visitor Center is housed in a Tavern built on the site in the early 20th Century which payed homage to Lincoln.

When Abe was two years old the family moved ten miles to the Knob Creek farm because of a land dispute at the Sinking Springs farm. He lived here until the age of eight years and when Abe's father lost the dispute over the land claim they moved to Indiana. His first memories were at the knob creek farm like walking over a mile to school with his older sister to a school he called a blab school because everything learned in books had to be recited due to a lack of writing instruments. He almost drown in knob creek but his friend for life Austin Gollaher pulled him to safety. The National Park Service people were very helpful and knowledgeable. The gift shop was nice also.
The Willett Distillery is a rustic outpost where visitors can experience distillery tours, sample Willet bourbon and other spirits, and purchase gifts. The tour provides informative insights into the distilling process with ample opportunities to try different bourbons. The tasting room also has delicious appetizers available for purchase. A highlight of the experience are the single barrel "Purple top" bourbons which are unique and high quality. The facility has a welcoming atmosphere with touches of family history adding authenticity to the experience.
Our tour guide was hilarious, but also very knowledgeable. We got to see the fancy pot still and everything. I enjoyed how the tasting wasn't all at the beginning or all at the end. This tour was much more enjoyable than I expected. You do needs reservations for upstairs though. We tried going up and it was full.

It’s our second time visiting Willett, and we enjoyed both visits. Last time was during Covid, and The Bar was not open. This time we had lunch at The Bar, and it was a nice experience. Remember to make reservations in advance, or you probably won’t get seated since it very busy, a popular place. Both the food and cocktails were delicious. We did the whiskey tasting last time, and it was great, and that’s how we discovered Johnny Drum, a great choice for making Old Fashioned. Don’t miss the souvenir store. By the way, there is an adorable cat on the property. We saw it each time we visited.

What a beautiful distillery! Steeped in southern heritage and charm, the ambiance is relaxing, warm and welcoming. The staff were all so kind and helpful! Our tour guide, Ila, was knowledgeable and funny. She really seems to enjoy sharing her knowledge of Willett and the family history behind the bourbon. The tastings along the tour were wonderful! This was mine and my husband’s first distillery tour for our wedding anniversary and Willett definitely set the bar high for us. We will be back to visit again!

Our visit to Willett Distillery was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to their incredible hospitality and attention to detail. We were grateful for the last-minute group accommodation they made for our team, ensuring that our visit was seamless and enjoyable.
The old-fashioned cocktail we enjoyed at Willett Distillery was perfect in every way, perfectly crafted and served with precision. The unique technique of cooling the glasses with dry ice added an extra element of sophistication to the experience, making it truly memorable.
Not only were the drinks superb, but the small plates and appetizers served were delicious and brought out quickly, allowing us to enjoy a variety of flavors that complemented our cocktails perfectly.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Willett Distillery for their exceptional service and for making our visit truly special. We look forward to returning and continuing to explore the world of fine spirits with them. Cheers to an unforgettable experience!

Go, simply go. It's the best distillery tour and tasting I've been to. The tour is informative and it has bourbon throughout. The bar has great food as well, it's appetizer style, but delicious. Last and most importantly, the single barrel "Purple top" bourbons in the bar. They are unlike anything I tasted in the rest of distilleries They are expensive, but it's the quality and flavor that the entire rest of the industry should be pouring on their tours. It's not even close, Willet wins by a mile.

The staff was amazingly kind and friendly. They took time to talk about the distillery, the bourbon, and even their own experiences. The grounds are beautiful. And I can imagine a better day to enjoy it. What was going to be a quick stop, lasted for a couple hours as we took it all in.

One of our stops along the bourbon trail. We didn’t do a tour but stopped for a flight. The grounds are beautiful, and welcoming and the people are friendly. While many of their offerings aren’t favorites of mine many seem to really enjoy them, just a different palette than mine. Absolutely worth the stop for a pour.

Great tour! The tastings are spread throughout the tour rather than being stacked together at the end. Mason, our guide, was knowledgable, bright and cheerful. Even after the tour he visited individually with his members as they browsed the gift shop.
Knowledgeable host, beautiful distillery, excellent bourbons and now I know why!

The Willette tour is among the best ever by today's standards (very much like the old days at Wild Turkey, Barton 1792, etc where you really toured the place!) and our guide, Bianca, was outstanding. They started the tour with a tasting and had several more along the way with two different offerings at each place, and again at the end.
Cheers!

We didn't get to take the tour, but stopped in for the restaurant and gift shop. Beautiful grounds. Super friendly serving staff. The food (small plates and dessert) was tremendous. Great cocktails. Can't wait to take a tour next time we are nearby.

Beautiful distillery. Our tour guide Shannon, was outstanding. She was pleasant and knowledgeable. The food in the restaurant was excellent albeit slightly overpriced for the portions.
Now for the bad. I really wanted to love this distillery. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined at the outset by an extremely rude and unprofessional front desk worker that actually told me the person she was speaking to on the phone was “more important” than me after I waited patiently for her to get off the phone and check me in for the tour.
The whiskey is way overpriced and average at best. Charging upwards of $90 per oz at the distillery to taste their special releases is ridiculous. I felt like I was at a bar on whiskey row rather than a famed distillery. Best word to describe the vibe here is pretentious.
For a place to call itself a “Family” Estate, it is lacking the hospitality and friendliness of such an establishment. Really disappointed by this experience.

We highly recommend Willett as a tour destination. You can sample products at several stops during the tour. My wife and I were able to sample more different products than any other tour that we have taken. The grounds are beautiful and you can feel the passion that the staff has for their Bourbons, and Whiskeys.

Absolutely Beautiful campus, especially during our fall visit. Love the history, enjoy the product, friendly and knowledgeable staff and guide, love being able to get up close to the workings of the distillery and seeing workers actually present and working, and having our picture made with the working Pot Still.
The cats are a treat as.well. Loved how they knew the routines and basically made themselves at home throughout the whole tour. Will definitely recommend Willet Distillery for anyone planning a Bourbon Trail experience.

Of all the distilleries we did, this was our favorite. The grounds are gorgeous, their story fantastic, and the drinks great. We LOVED that the tasting was spread out at various locations on the tour. You get to see it ALL and the value is outstanding. We will come back and tour this again for sure. This is 100% worth your time.

Our tour guide Bianca was amazing! She was very informative, gave great history about the family and how Willet was started and how it still operates. She was friendly and loved her sense of humor. Tastings along the way were a hit with us, that is so different from the other tours we did. At the end Bianca asked if there was an anniversary which was ours and showed us lots of love and everyone got to try a high end purple top which was the absolute best! Later we had drinks and food upstairs which was by far the best we had anywhere! I would highly recommend the Willet tour!

We toured 5 distilleries — this was my favorite. Tastings spread out throughout the tour instead of all at once, smaller distillery with a commitment to quality and a family feel, a great bar, and great bourbon. Everyone is super friendly. Also, distillery cats are a plus!

We had SO much fun at this tour! We have visited a few places along the bourbon trail and this was by far our favorite. For the basic tour, we still got to try countless bourbons that this distillery makes, and were sent home with a nice glass from our tasting. Mason, our tour guide, was absolutely phenomenal. I will be bringing other family members back with me soon. PS: the "nope" signs are legendary, and also extremely helpful.

Favorite stop on the Bourbon Trail, and one of my favorite bourbons for sure. Shannon welcomed us at the door and then gave us one heck of a progressive tasting & tour of this little gem of a distillery. I can’t say enough great things about the vibes, the facilities, and the product of this family owned and operated place. Keep up the good work, Willett! I’m a loyal fan.
Same as the distillery don't miss this place it was great and the staff were awesome do not close but just promote it more!!! The best Bourbon Balls and free tasting. Do not shut down the History of this place its amazing. The free bugs is a nice touch. The Bourbon Liquor was so good. Management would be crazy to stop the tours but promote it more instead would help the brand for sure.
Cater to the audience at hand.

We were unsure whether we had time to stop during our road trip. The free admission actually had us worried the 25 minute detour was not going to be warranted. However... this place was amazing. There are a lot more vehicles than expected and all are beautifully kept. The folks working the museum shared personal stories about each car, answered questions and even opened up the cars to show us more features. This stop is well worth it! They even have restrooms available. We spent just over an hour there before returning to our road trip.
Bravo to these fine folks for sharing this collection with the community.

I don't consider myself a car person but I have an appreciation for nostalgic things and this car collection is amazing. It has some things in there that you don't typically see. I really appreciate the family keeping this going since Bill has passed away.
Kart Kountry is a sizable family-friendly amusement park with the most extensive go-kart track in the United States. Besides go-karts, it has plenty of activities such as bumper boats, batting cages, miniature golf, and an arcade to keep visitors of all ages entertained. However, some games may not be available due to maintenance issues at times. While most activities cost six credits or more per game, guests can purchase 100 credits for $22.
It’s an absolute blast. The giant arcade was a little too much for my kids (100+ machines), but the outside activities are the real star of the show. We played putt putt and rode the go-karts. The tickets were just $6 per activity.
Howie Lindsey — Google review
So 4 stars cause half the games was down. Bumper boats not open 😑 batting cages waiting on parts not open. Mini gold courses very well kept. Volcano course is quite a challenge. Most games take 6 credits or more. $22 for 100 credits. The go kart track was awesome if it's nice out you are gonna be waiting for awhile tho. 1 ticket 1 lap. Can't use multiple tickets you get 1 lap and get back in line.
Kayla Adams — Google review
It was my daughter's first time on go car she really did love it. we had a good time also on the bumper boats.
The only bad thing about this is i didn't know where to go to get tickets or anything until you walk around in the arcade. There's Nothing pointing you where to go to get started. Just walk around the arcade and you will find it it's kind of at the back.
Prices are fair I'm thinking it was $6 for the go-cart one lap and $6 for the bumper boats for 5 minutes.
My honest opinion is I wouldn't waste time on the bumper boats but if you have little kids this is great.

Great place to bring your kids. There are plenty of things to do for a couple hours. We played the Volcano Putt Putt Course and then we took some swings in the batting cages. Batting cage speeds were 35/40/45/50/60/70. They threw pretty consistent.
There is also an arcade with tons of games and their prize selection is way better than other arcades
We will definitely be returning!

Great place to make memories with the family! Fun attractions such as the 1.5 mile long go-kart course, mini golf and an indoor arcade. Would have been 5 stars but some of the arcade games were not working and a few took my credits when trying to get the game to start. It is an older place so expect some wear and tear on some of the machines but I feel it's the owner's responsibility to service their equipment when it comes time to repair them. Overall great place!

Kids had a blast. They did every attraction and played a ton of arcade games. Even the old games. They have a great selection. Even the audios got into it.

Great place to spend a couple hours with the kids. The lines for the tickets can get a little long, but that's expected. There's 2 courses for mini golf and the go kart has a pretty good long track. The go kart even has a system that keeps the line moving instead of waiting for everyone to get back at once.
Joe Forren — Google review
There should be a way to load more money into.your player card that doesn't require you standing in the very long line. Even with two people behind the desk, the line was still super long. We left after we ran out of money on the card because we didn't want to spend 30+ minutes waiting in line.
A few of the gocarts didn't run right and had a slight miss or would cut out for a second.
The mini golf was cool except for one hole that your ball would get stuck in because there wasn't enough water pressure to push it.
Brandon Cleary (th3cavalry) — Google review
Had absolutely wonderful time! Go karts, bumper boats, mini golf and arcade games it was all fun! The only disappointing thing was the snack bar was closed. Staff said it was only open on the weekends 😕What? It's summer time! Kids are out of school. My kids alone would've bought $20 worth of ice cream and slushies. I get that decision if school is in session but this is such a no brainer for the summer. I would have left 5 stars but i just couldn't.

Great experience. Versus the indoor competition elsewhere. Would highly suggest bringing in your own safety glasses , there will be debris flying from nature and from off the track. The dirt could be avoided if the track was swept before opening. The safety team on the carts are also on point. They will attend to your needs if the go kart fails while on the track.

The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass is a contemporary open-air outlet mall located just a short drive from Louisville, Kentucky. It features a wide range of popular brand-name and designer shops, as well as casual eateries. Visitors can explore stores like RH Outlet, Coach, Kate Spade, Nike, and Polo Ralph Lauren. While some shoppers have found great deals here, others feel that not all stores offer significant discounts. The friendly and helpful staff make the shopping experience enjoyable for many visitors.
Very neat clean open air facility with many authentic name brand legitimate outlet priced stores. Most of these stores are ver easily accessible from the main walkways with multiple very helpful directory boards stationed around. There are multiple layers of security for your safety. The restrooms are very well kept.

I really like the outlet mall. It always gives you this sense of 'it is okay to buy' (or it might be just me). The areas are always clean, there is a good variety of stores; always have good sales going on. They decorate so pretty for each holiday/activities/special day. The bathrooms were cleaned the last time I visit and the waiting area inside of the woman's bathroom is very comfortable. I will like to see new stores thought and for some reason the times that I have been inside the food court it is always empty even if there are a lot of shoppers around.

I made a special trip here for my first time since it is well over 3 hrs drive for me. I went for 3 shops only. The first one was for shoes. The outlet was tiny and didn’t have my size. The second was closed with no explanation posted on the door. The third was the dog treat store. It was open and I bought treats and that’s why I am giving 2 stars rather than one. This is place has the smallest selections of stores of any outlet center I’ve ever been to. I won’t be back without more stores moving in.

The only thing I'd suggest about going here... Go with an attitude that you're not buying anything. Sometimes you'll luck upon a few good deals but a large majority of the stores say they're having deals but you'll look around and realize... They don't have any deals.

My husband surprised me with this trip. The shops which were many, the employees were friendly and helpful. The prices are great. If you are looking for a place to shop and pretty likely find something for someone in your life or you need a shopping day for yourself. This place is where to go.The only thing I would improve on is the food court. The selections of food wasn't good, place was so small, no seats for the amount of food traffic they get everyday.

Concrete Kingdom!!! We love the different yard items we find in this store. The one at the outlets has more of a selection. My mom wanted another yard wind mill and they did not disappoint. We ended up buying the 🦉 one for our yard. Our neighbors love to stop and watch the display. I can watch them all day. I’m sure we’ll be back again.
Louisville Mega Cavern is a subterranean recreation center that offers activities such as zip lines, ropes courses, and underground bike park. It's one of the most popular attractions in Louisville due to its various adventure-focused activities.
This adventure was the best idea, something different, and it did not disappoint.
I registered, purchased tickets, and signed wavers all online and via digital delivery. It was so easy. I pulled up and drove around and found the location. There was not anyone else really around and even though there were signs I didn’t know what to do. I think those main tour doors needed to be construction orange or green with a big clear enter sign enter sign . There are lots of signs and info but needed to be a little more clear and simple..
After entering through the side and walking down a creepy hall, I walk into this massive room and there was the tram, and across the giant room was a town façade and waiting area. I made my way over and when walking into the underground welcome center was warmly greeting by seven or so staff. There was a gift shop, snack area, very nice restrooms, and an open indoor ropes course to the side.
My tour was the first of the day of a Thursday so that was probably why there was no crowd to follow but it added to the adventure for me! The price was $21.94 and the tour lasted a little over an hour. It was awesome to see the inside and understanding the history and purpose of the cavern and it’s evolution.
Shout out my tour guide Skeeter! He was the best! Great guide, extremely funny, and delivering an up beat, educational tour with a side of humor.
I won’t give away all the history and stories so there will not be any real spoilers from the tour but I will say this was a great experience and so glad a booked the tram tour. It was definitely something different and fun to do.

Super cool place! I have never taken a tram car thru a cavern before. Our guide was great, too. He explained everything in the cavern and how it was created. It was interesting enough down there to keep my 11 month old grandson occupied. I definitely will be back!
FYI, I have night vision on my phone. It is a lot darker than it looks...

We had a great time here. We decided on the walking tour, and it was pretty fun. The guide Olivia did a great job. It is a little pricey for what it is, but we are glad we did it. It is so neat down there. It is amazing how large it actually is in person. The entrance is a little weird, and we weren't sure we were in the right place. It is a long hallway that looks abandoned, but eventually opens up to the cave.

According to the owners quote, they "transform it into a holiday light spectacular for the Christmas season. "
If you consider displays of Marvel's avengers, Mario brothers, minions, and tanks to be part of the Christmas season, then I guess the quote is right.
Only about half of the 15 minute drive through was holiday-themed. It seems like the rest of it was put into place just as a filler.
Not to say it wasn't neat, but it's not as neat as they make it.
Brokk — Google review
The Louisville Mega Cavern tour proved to be a regrettable experience, particularly disappointing for several reasons. First and foremost, my visit did not coincide with the Christmas season, meaning that all the festive lights were packed away except for a few stray decorations lingering visibly, adding to the overall dreariness.
Furthermore, the cavern itself is not a natural formation, which diminished the excitement right from the start. The tour primarily focused on the cavern's history as a fallout shelter and a storage site for salt, interspersed with some rather dull videos. This narrative did little to enhance the experience, leaving me questioning the value of the tour.
The worst part, however, was the environment within the cavern. The air was thick with a dust reminiscent of a construction site, making it uncomfortable and raising concerns about its quality. Throughout the tour, the main sights were abandoned vehicles, sealed-off doors, and a collection of low-quality props—hardly the engaging or educational content one might expect.
Spending $20 and an hour of my time in an artificially excavated, dusty cavern observing these lackluster displays was frustrating. With the money and time at hand, almost any other destination would have provided a better experience. This was the first time I truly felt someone dared to charge $20 for a tour of what felt like a vast, polluted parking garage. The disappointment was profound, and I would strongly advise against this tour for anyone looking for a meaningful or enjoyable outing.

The zip line tour is so cool, we’re big zip line fans and doing everything in the dark with bright lights was something new and we had a really good time. The tour guides make you feel confident and safe about the whole experience. We really enjoyed ourselves!

Excellent tour with our tour guide Skeeter. Skeeter did a good job of providing us with laughs while also giving us the history of the caverns.
My family and I chose the Tram tour since we have a small child. It is cool in the cavern but not cold. We were fine with a light jacket.
It's not really a lot to see if you don't Zipline or do more of the exciting attractions. Kids might get a little bored on the tram.
It is a huge place, I think about 17 miles and the tram is about 2 miles long. It's a unique experience and one I'd definitely say to give a try.

We came here to do the Mega Quest aerial adventure course! The guides explained everything well and were friendly and helpful. We felt completely safe and confident in using our gear, the belays are easy and intuitive to use. I liked that it wasn’t a linear course, and you could go through it at your own pace and choose which routes to take. The short zip lines in it were our favorite! You’re also allowed to leave the course at any time to take a break and remove your helmet and gloves, just don’t take off your harness because then you are done. You get two hours on the course which was more than enough time, we even ended up finishing a little early because we were so sore!
I recommend short sleeves because you get really sweaty, however personally I’d recommend long pants because with all the ropes on the course, I did get a couple small rope scrapes. Nothing terrible, just keep that in mind!
There are lockers to store anything you don’t want to take/wear on the course, but it takes quarters so make sure you bring cash or prepare to use the on site ATM that charges a fee. Make sure to have cash to tip your guides too! They’re working hard for you!
We live in Ohio but I’d love to come back some day to try the full zip line course or the tram tour!

I purchased the Mega Tram ticket since I was already doing so much walking on my vacation. I called before hand and was told that the Mega Tram and the Mega Walking tours covered the same route. Our tour guide was great and made jokes along the way. The cavern was a pleasant temperature since I visited on the hottest day of the year. Definitely worth seeing if you want a break from the heat of summer but not what I would consider over the top exciting or a must-see. I like caves and caverns so I enjyed it.

We had a walking tour with Sophia. The tour was informative and interesting. There are a lot of cool facts and funny jokes as you go along.
Some cool lights to see as well in the dark.
The space could have more cool displays added with time. The adventure gym seems cool and the zip liners seemed to have fun.

Much cooler than I expected! Mega Cavern is an old limestone mine that is massive. It has some interesting history as well once being a fallout shelter. Now it is a driving tour, adventure area, zip line tour, light show and even commercial storage. Worth the visit!

This was an absolutely amazing experience for the whole family. There's a display for everyone. Dinosaurs, Christmas scenes, marvel comics characters, heavy machinery, veterans, Disney and other characters, America/USA, and amazing light shows at several places. Very entertaining and we will definitely be back again. We'll probably take the guided wagon ride through next time just for the better view!

Well worth the cost. Lots to do while waiting. I was disappointed in the gift shop. They seem to have cut back after Covid. Our tour guide was very informative. In the picture of the original caverns look close and see a man standing in the original 60 foot high cavern. They hauled in 40 feet of fill.

So much fun! Everything started on time and we were with a great group. The guides Abby and Bambie so sweet, clear about what was needed for the zip parts and had fun comments to add in. We had a blast.

We did the walking tour and it was pretty cool - the lights make it fun and it’s interesting to hear the history of the cavern. Our guide talked a LOT - could be good for people who enjoy awkward jokes and hearing the same voice non-stop, but it wasn’t for us. Might have been better with a different guide. Entrance is through a long hallway, just keep going even if it feels like you’re not at the right place.

We visited, and went on the walking tour through the Cavern, which is very much worth adding to your list of things to see/do while visiting Louisville. We explored the Cavern with a guide named Sophia, who was very friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. At the end of the tour I asked how many times she had walked the cavern/given the tour. Expecting her answer to be in the hundreds, I was amazed to hear that it was her very first solo tour through the Cavern. She did an absolutely incredible job, and we left with a great bit of interesting information regarding the history of the Cavern, and would absolutely visit again.

More then worth the drive. The kids loved it and it was just enough time spent driving thru before it became too much. Xmas Eve was the right time to go and the price wasn't overpriced by any means. Music and lights were fabulous

A very unique display of lights, nothing compares. If you have your tickets on your phone, there's no reception in the cave at the attendant, so maybe take a picture of it, they do have your name so not a problem

10/10 recommend for families. Eat before you arrive (Wendy’s, coffee shop, and Kroger near entrance). No outside food at cave. No good food options in cave. Bring cash to tip. Buy tickets in advance. Lockers available for $1.

Absolutely loved it. We went on a weekday and got there around 10:30 to 11:00. There was no wait and we drove right in. The beginning was good and it just kept getting better and better as we went through. The finale at the end was the best experience. I highly recommend it for both kids and adults as there's plenty to see for both.
Visitors can tour a system of underground caves & an old pioneer village at this family venue.
Been to many caves and caverns, Squire Boone is by far the most interesting, unique one I have been to. The fact that there is an active river with waterfalls is awesome. It gives you a very unique perspective as to how the caves were formed, not to mention beautiful. Our guide (can't remember her name) was very informative. Excellent tour!

We stopped here on our way to completing the Indiana Cave Trail. It was a Thursday, so not busy at all, which was good in some ways, but the soap making and sweet shop were closed. We were a little bummed about that.
Our tour guide was really nice and knowledgeable, unfortunately we couldn't hear more than half of what she said during our 1 hour tour because some folks thought it was a good idea to bring two kids under two years old on the tour. They fussed and cried pretty much the whole time. I do not recommend bringing children under 3 years old on any cave tours, once you're in, there's no way out until the tour is over. Not good for little ones.
I did manage to get some great photos in the cave and the highlight for us was seeing the final resting place of Squire Boone and hearing the history behind that. Very neat!
My kids loved feeding the goats and pigs on the property. The lady who runs the candle dipping could have been a bit friendlier, she got a little short with my kids when they weren't following her (not very clear) instructions.
Everyone else who worked there was very nice though! The gem mining was fun and they found some gems they hadn't seen before.

Awesome cavern site with family and kid-friendly things to do and see. Lots of parking. Great staff and customer service. We did the tour with maybe 12 people total and it was the perfect amount of people to easily move along and see everything without feeling rushed. The on-site restaurant is pretty good. The water mill is really cool. The rock shop and candle shop and fun to see, too.

WHAT’S GOOD?
1. The reason this is one of the best cave tours around is because it is a variety of cave experiences packaged up in one convenient tour. This cave is wet and dry. It has wide open spaces and narrow passages. It has muted colors and a rainbow of lights. It has still ponds and racing waterfalls. The different sights packed into this 45 minute tour is a “mammoth-size” value!
2. Our guide, Rissa, was fantastic! You can tell she loves this cave and is so enthusiastic. She definitely enhanced the tour.
3. Other staff on sight was very friendly on our visit.
4. This property is a beautiful, well maintained campus featuring a number of other shops making this much more than a cave tour. It truly is a destination.
5. For those in need, the property features a large, shady picnic area.
——
CAUTIONS:
1. Cave tour does require a lot of steps. Should not be an issue for most.
2. Picnic area needs a large playground for the kiddos.

Absolutely gorgeous cave! Everyone was very friendly. We visited on the off season and they only do tours four times a day. We missed the noon tour by a couple of minutes as well as another family and the next tour wouldn’t be until 2 pm. The people added a 12:30 pm tour for us! Our guide Malechi was awesome! Very informative and kept it interesting. Definitely recommend a visit! Hope to get back here another time.

Every time I try a new cave experience in the area I think there is no way it can be as good as or better than the one before but they are all so good. Squire Boone Caverns was so much fun and there is so much to do. Everyone was incredibly nice too. There is a rock hut with all kinds of cool stuff, a candle shack where you can make your own candles, a spot to get good food (the pulled pork was excellent), a zip line, animals to feed, and of course the cave tour. The food was pricy as most tourist places are but was really good. The cave is simply amazing and a must see destination. If I do have criticism, it's that the tour leader needs a microphone and speaker. The cave has actively flowing water and he spoke so low I only heard about 50% of what he said for the whole tour. Thankfully I'm very familiar with caves and the beauty of this one kind of speaks for itself. Great experience though and one I would highly recommend

This place is a childhood relic that actually got BETTER! The cave tour is about 45 min, not too long. It's gorgeous and the lighting is awesome now. Our tour guide knew her stuff (Carissa/Karissa), and was amazing with the kiddos. They have a place to eat now! There is a soap making shop, a candle shop where you can make your own, a rock shop where you can pan your own bag with garunteed precious stones, and a kick butt gift shop with really reasonable items. We had a blast and I can't wait to go back!

Best cave tour ever. We stopped on our way down to mamouth caves. Mamouth caves were awesome, but our whole family agreed this was the best cave tour we went to all week. This cave tour was only a small group and the tour guide, way better than the huge tour groups at mamouth. There were tons of formations, and the river was cool to see up close. I would 100% recommend to stop here and check it out.

A stunning experience, with kind and helpful staff. The rock shop has great fun things at a good price, same with the candle shop. The restaurant was a little expensive but tbh it was worth it cause everything tasted amazing. The cave of course has the coolest history with beautiful views and the best running water exhibits I've seen in a cave. However from the back everything was a but quiet because of how loud the water was so if you're hard of hearing I suggest going to the front. Or a speaker on the guide would be beneficial- either way the cave connected to the mill which was unique to see so overall 11/10 for Squire Boone.

Great place to take the family. Besides the cave tour they have candle making, you cam sift for gems, feed and pet animals and a few other things.

Cool spot for a day trip. It’s setup like a little village so you have more activities than just the cave tour. The cave starts out about 30 feet below surface and deepest part is 90 feet. The tour is about an hour ish. The initial decent is a spiral staircase as well as the staircase going back up which is about 70 stairs. The formations are beautiful, saw white crawfish and even one bat which apparently is super rare. The waterfalls inside the cave are unique to the area. It was a timed entry tour. A little pricey imo, we’ve been to Carlsbad Caverns and Mammoth so I would think it would be cheaper. A $7 add on to ticket let’s kids mine for gems and fossils and feed the animals. Nice way to spend time if you’re waiting for the cave tour. Lots of picnic tables. Restaurant on site. Grist mill was a short walk and educational for the kids. Of all the caves we’ve been to we did appreciate the different color lights.

This is the best cave tour I've been on in Indiana. We were the only ones in our group, which was actually nice. Our guide, Izzy, was very informative and friendly. We also fed the animals and mined for gemstones. Both were fun little add ons. I would recommend this cave if you are in the area!
Churchill Downs is a horse racing track located in Louisville, Kentucky. It has hosted the Kentucky Derby since 1875 and is also a National Historic Landmark. The track usually seats up to 50,000 people, but on Derby Day it can hold up to 150,000 spectators.
We paid $17 each for a 30 minute tour of the grounds as well as entrance to the museum. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and encouraged us often to ask questions. As a childhood fan with very little knowledge of the history race, I was amazed with the history our tour guide was able to share in just the 30 minutes we were there. If you know more than me, you might ask questions and be pleasantly surprised to hear her explain Churchill Downs trivia. Since it was only a 30 minute tour, we didn't go far from the museum, but we did get to see the track and the winners circle under the twin towers! The museum is quite large and holds of a lot of interesting facts as well as interactive and informative games for some of the younger (or young at heart) crowd. 10/10, must visit!

This where all the action happens for The Kentucky Derby. Lots of interesting historical trivia about the horses that ran in past races. Beautifully kept grounds and stalls..a great tour and we stopped for a Mint Julep at the end our tour (this was on our own). Off Season they are reasonably priced at their bar/cafe. It was a very tasty cocktail. They have a gift shop on site next to the cafe with all types of Churchill Downs Memorabilia.

One of the coolest things I've ever done! If you have the chance, visit Churchill Downs. It's an experience you'll never forget! When we visited, they had a bunch of food trucks in the vicinity. It was neat because you could walk around to a couple of food trucks, purchase some drinks, dance to the live music, and then go watch the horse races. We just sat in a general admission area which worked out perfect because we were there during the week when it wasn't crazy busy. Overall, we had an absolute blast!

Very interesting museum visit and short tour. The entry fee includes an immersive 18-minute video on a 360-degree screen with surround sound, all museum exhibits, and a 30-minute tour. There are rotating stools for viewing the video so you can easily spin and see everything. Our tour guide, Steve, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Videos are shown at ten minutes past every hour with a ten minute intro on the hour. Tours begin on the half hour, and the guide picks you up in the theater, which is called The Great Hall. There is a nice gift shop with loads of merchandise and a cafe that can both be visited for free. The only issue we observed is that the parking lot is quite small, so leave extra time for arrival, as your reserved video and tour times are set.

We went to the November live races and I would rate that a 5. We bought tickets to the millionaire’s row section which was great and included a buffet and all you can drink soda. The buffet was very disappointing. It went from 1 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. We got our food at 1:15 P.M. after the first race was done. The pasta was warm to cool in temperature, the chicken was dry. The dessert selection was very messy in presentation. That lowered our rating. Is that really how it is for the Kentucky Derby when people are paying $10,000 or more for tickets? Thank goodness ours were $61 each (includes entry to Churchill Downs).

We went to Opening Night 2024 at Churchill Downs. It was a great night. I enjoyed the night racing. However, they need to improve on their food concessions. We spent $65 for 2 burgers, bratwurst, and sprite. There was no lettuce, tomatoes on burgers. We couldn't get mustard or ketchup either, and fries were cold. For the price you pay, they should have a condiment station at least.

There are few greater places in the entire world than the Legendary Churchill Downs.
Fortunes have been won, and fortunes have been lost.
At times, the rush of nostalgia will rush over you, coupled with the roar of the crowd, and the thunderous stampede of the thoroughbreds down the back stretch.
Memories are made here that last a lifetime.
The sun always shines bright at this Ole Kentucky home.
And you ain't never been anywhere, or seen anything, until you've witnessed a Kentucky Derby in person.

My wife and I toured this well-known site in late February and unfortunately, it was cold and windy. But we were still able to walk through the stands to the finish line and the guide braved the nasty weather to give us some interesting tidbits and insider info. The museum is also a must-see, especially if you are a horse racing enthusiast. The museum offers a well-rounded history of Churchill Downs, the horses that have run there as well as the jockeys, trainers, and other workers who made the Kentucky Derby world famous. I’d love to see a race here!

Home of the most famous race in the world the Kentucky Derby. I would have loved to go to one of the races but I came here in the off season when there were no races running at all. There are a lot of different tours to go on: Backstretch Workout Tour, Barn and Backside Tour, Black Heritage in Racing Tour, Bourbon and Bridles Experience, Race Day Experience, Hermitage Farm and Derby Museum Tour, Ultimate Churchill Downs Tour, Throughbred Workout Tour, Superstars and Spires tour (I really wanted to go to this one but it was sold out), Guided Track Visit. I went to this last one, you got to see the track as well as the grandstand. Nice quick tour if you aren't a big fan or in a pinch for time but I definitely recommend the other tours if you are a big fan.

Excellent tour and was amazing to see this historic place in person. A shame I wasn't born when Secretariat run the Derby in 1973. His record still stands. There is a beautiful display about him on the second floor of the museum adjacent to Churchill Downs.

2024 opening day at Churchill downs. Very organized this year. Signs on Taylor boulevard navigated me to the Blue parking pot were my ticket was valid to park. There was plenty of parking still available as well as handicap. I was close to the entrance but still had a goal cart rode for free to the door. I went to a gala in the Trophy room on the 6th floor. The attendants are not very knowledgeable about navigating to the right places. But overall I jad a blast and Churchill downs gets better and better every year.
The Kentucky Derby Museum is a heritage museum located in Louisville, Kentucky that preserves the history of the famed horse race. The museum features exhibits on the race and its participants, as well as an event space that can be rented out for weddings or other private parties.
I haven’t bet or even watched any Derby before, but after my visit, I am definitely trapped by its charisma.
The introductory movie is nice. It gives you all the details about the game. But what’s really amazing about this visit, is the tour after the movie.
We went to the field where Kentucky Derby has taken place for more than 140 years. I learned a lot about the horse, the Jockey, the game, the price of seats and how the field is maintained.
The visit really opens my eyes to a whole new world that I have not touched before. It’s a wonderful visit!!!
Even you are not a Derby fan, you should check this museum out. It’s worthy!!!

We showed up and did the Barns and Backside tour, which is an hour, then did the walking tour an hour after that concluded. Really great tours. We went to the museum in between the tours and saw the greatest race movie. Currently a lot of construction but it'll be great once it's done. Highly recommend the tours. The barns and backside gets you to the other side of the track, which is nice, but I wish we could have walked into the barn area, although I understand why we couldn't. Great experience.

A very affordable and informative tour. I was able to ask questions of the guide both during and after the tour. The amount of knowledge he had was incredible. We got to walk out to the track and see where it is that the horses run. Hard to believe more than 150k people can fit!
Outside of the tour, the museum has so much available information for you to read and go through. There are incredible artifacts and interactive features to engage with. We really enjoyed the 360° video experience as well.

Lots of history and a great location to visit even if you are not totally an avid fan and follower of horse racing. The tour and museum will give you a solid understanding of the sport, both past and present. I recommend anyone coming to do one of the two tours available to get the most of your trip here. Just simply walking around the museum is not enough. The tours are between 1-1hr 30 min and you can either tour the grandstand and spectator areas or the stalls for the horses.

Very interesting place about Derby History, you have to take the tour to the barns to see the horses but you have to be older than 8 years old. The history tour is very interesting and it was so cool to hear about the history and care they give to the horses definitely a must seen spot of Louisville 😉

Worth stopping to see even if passing through. The 18 minutes video plays every hour. You can watch it from the second floor or inside the room. I recommend getting to museum at top of the hour to watch The Greatest Race for better appreciation of the museum if you know little to none on this American tradition.
The walking tour is great. Tour guide was high in spirits, knowledgeable, and respectful to keep guest in shade on a hot day.

Book in advance!!! We woke up Saturday morning and decided we would add this to our list for the day. The website showed all times for the tour were still available, so I decided to wait until we got there, since I wasn't sure when we'd arrive. We got there about 2pm and all the tours were full. We still paid full price to see the museum. Plenty of free parking was available! There is a lot to see and do in this small museum. Very informative! My daughter loved the exhibits and being hands on with racing equipment. Secretariat’s exhibit was amazing! The employees were very friendly! The store was a bit over priced and very small. The café closed at 3pm which seemed kind of early too for me.

Visited Churchill Downs at Louisville, Kentucky. Loved the museum and watched the history of Churchill Downs too in a 360 degree auditorium screen. Had taken the tour too to see where the most attended and most watched horse race takes place in the United States. Would love to come back to Churchill Downs in May to watch the Derby in person. One can buy different memorabilia from the gift shop too.

A must see for everyone! A fantastic way to explore the rich beauty of the Thoroughbred racehorse and the splendor of the Kentucky Derby. This is a wonderful attraction for all ages. Even if you don't follow the sport, I would recommend a visit. If you love horse racing, you will be in heaven!
The short film, " The Greatest Race" is stunning! I might be addicted because I kept going back to watch it. Warning, it may give you goosebumps and a sudden urge to buy a racehorse!
Let's not forget, there is a gift shop. I absolutely loved the displays. The products are quality and the prices are reasonable.
Oh, and I must mention one of the most important parts... The customer service is excellent! The staff is friendly, fun and knowledgeable. They will make you feel right at home.
Take my advice, just go and enjoy yourself!

I visited the museum as part of its annual Horses and Haunts Tour during October. Our guides Heather and Molly were excellent guides, providing a lot of history to this native and Derby attendee (for 45+ years)! It was super cool to see the track at night and hear these stories under the hallowed spires. Highly recommend visiting the museum and taking advantage of this tour every October!

Great museum with helpful staff. Be sure to sign up for the track tour, it's included in your ticket. If you love horse racing I would plan to spend a few hours here. Staff was helpful and gave great suggestions of exciting past Derby races to watch. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Highly recommend visiting for horse racing fans. Girl Scouts have an opportunity to earn a patch here as well.

This is a must if you are in Louisville and are interested in the history of horse racing. Our tour guide Max was wonderful- we took a chance on the day that we went and were blessed to have seen an actual horse race which was for selling of the horses. There is a lot of history- we highly recommend that when you take the tour you ask as many questions as you possibly can as it makes it more interesting for both you as a spectator and for the tour guides as well. The museum has a lot of information so plan to spend a good amount of time there. It is also interesting for kids of all ages - there are video horse races that you can choose your own horse and ride and control the horse, there are life-size mannequins and horses of great history and there is even a mock starting gate for you to climb onto a horse for a great photo opportunity. Should you get a bit hungry there is the Derby Cafe where you can get a quick bite to eat however check for when it is open as it was closed on Sunday which we were aware of and plan for accordingly. Highly recommend

Loved it! Did one of the tours, so worth it. Make sure to book a tour ahead of time. Would love to go back to do one of the other tours that were already sold out on our only day there. The museum was neat to walk around. Also, I loved the movie, got me a little emotional.

Really cool to be on the grounds of something that you've only seen on TV completely packed with people. The museum gave a great history of the race, the grounds, the horses and the jockeys. The 360 degree movie was super heartwarming and a great addition to the museum. The track tour was cool. The facts about the grounds were very interesting. There is a lot of construction going on right now so the cranes and such were in a lot of my photos. The staff helping in the front were not super friendly or helpful with providing what was available that day. The entire thing was definitely something to see, not sure if I'll be back again.

The behind the scenes tour was phenomenal- Barry, the guide was extremely passionate, patient and knowledgeable. His passion for the Derby was infectious! The actual museum was interesting but nothing compared to being able to drive past the stables , talk to the hands and hear all of the interesting rid bits. The gift shop was reasonably priced and offered a wide variety of souvenirs to satisfy a passionate enthusiast and casual stroller

What a great find! The KY Derby Museum was better than I expected. They have an excellent film and a beautiful museum that covers all parts of horse racing - horses, jockeys, trainers, owners, and Churchill Downs, and more. The trackside tour is informative and engaging. We saw a few horses and riders on the course, too.
We also purchased the Barn & Backside Tour. It was cool to see some of the Derby horses already housed here. We saw a few horses arriving in preparation for the Derby.

We were visiting from out of state and specifically stopped in this area to visit Churchill Downs. There were not races at the time, but we did visit the museum and I will say it was amazing, even my non-horsey family enjoyed this experience. If you plan to visit, I would recommend purchasing tickets prior to arrival, this will ensure you are not spending a long amount of time in line, it will also preserve your space to see the track tour which is awesome. The docents that walk you into the track have years of Churchill Downs track experience and love sharing their experiences and track history with you. The visual inside the track is beautiful and a great picture opportunity. If you get an early enough walk through you may get to see horses working out on the track. Also, while there be sure to watch the track movie. It is extremely well done and touching if you are at all interested in horses, horse racing, or are just the idea.
The museum is two floors with the first floor dedicated to track and track racing history. The second floor is dedicated to exhibits about Secretariat (racehorse), D. Wayne Lukas (trainer), and Bill Shoemaker (jockey), they are all very well done.
I would also recommend, at the end of your visit, taking a stop into their cafe and try out a Mint Julip and one of their sandwiches.
Overall, this was a great experience at $20/person, I would definitely recommend visiting this gorgeous museum.

An amazing place to visit. We went there this mid-week in a large group and bought tickets in advance. The experience was very good. We learned many things about the Kentucky Derby and all of its history. All the guides were super friendly and cordial. We had the guided tour which was a very unique experience to learn and visit this museum. There was a 360 degree movie called "The Greatest Race" included in the tour. That was a unique experience to have. There was a gift shop there that has a large variety of souvenirs and hats. Overall, this museum is very good to explore. If you get the chance to explore Louisville in Kentucky, I would definitely suggest having this in your list.

The Big Four Bridge spans 2,520 feet across the Ohio River linking Louisville Waterfront Park with Jeffersonville in Indiana. At night, the bridge is illuminated with colorful decorative lights that create an amazing spectacle.
Beautiful 1800s rail bridge connecting Kentucky and Indiana. Now just for pedestrians, no pets. Kept clean and LED lit by private group. Gorgeous park on the Kentucky side close to Lincoln memorial and kids' park and splash pad, hot dog stand and bathrooms. Cute shops and cafes on the Indiana side. Easy to walk, bike, etc. while enjoying the panoramic views.

A very peaceful and relaxing walking trail bridge across the Ohio river and connecting two states.
Very beautifully converted 19th century railroad bridge. One will also learn the history along its way.
Suitable for all ages and also for physically challenged.
An exclusive approach path, a spiraling pathway starting straight from the parking lot is creative and impressive.
A nice view of the cities on either side of both the states and of the river is very refreshing.

Very nice pedestrian bridge that crosses the Ohio River and has stunning city views. My family and I walked this bridge on a pretty hot day and wished there was at least one spot for a break for some shade, but the shade created by parts of the bridge provided some nice shade with a forgiving breeze. I don't believe pets were allowed on the bridge nor those pay-by-time electric scooters (they shut down on the bridge). I did see a few bicycles on the bridge, so I assume they were allowed. Surprising classical music was playing at one end of the bridge. A nice and cute surprise. If you walk on a hotter day, make to bring water as there were not many options nearby on either end for refreshments. I would like to visit this bridge again at sunset/night for even more spectacular views!

This is the third time, I think, I’ve been up here and it’s amazing every time. The views are great and it’s nice to have something to do in downtown that’s free.
Only issue I have is the number of motorized scooters flying through.
Oh, and if you go at night, make sure to be careful up against the railing…a lot of spiders hang out there 🤢

You absolutely need to check this out especially if it's your first time in Louisville. It was well worth the walk across to see beautiful views of the river and downtown. If you walk all the way across you'll find yourself in Indiana which makes for a fun experience in itself. The Indiana side has a bunch of cute restaurants and plaza area to enjoy. The bridge lights up at night for an even more special experience. We spent about an hour here. Heads up though, no pets, no scooters or motorized bikes on the bridge.

Great place for my morning walk. It’s nice watching the sunrise over the Ohio river. It puts things into perspective and starts the day off right . All of the people who use this bridge are pretty friendly and it’s not uncommon to hear a good morning during the walk. The views of the city from hear can’t be beat even with a basic camera you can still get some great shots in. If you are a airplane enthusiast you can get some great pictures of aircraft coming into the city.

I recently walked on the bridge from the Kentucky side to the Indiana side. The bridge is a wonderful way to view the river and both sides of the river including the Louisville skyline and Watefont Park and historic Jeffersonville IN.
It is a great way to exercise and enjoy the beauty of nature and the river. There are benches if you want to linger. I walked into Jeffersonville where many shops and restaurants are in close proximity to the ramp that accesses the bridge.
A stroll along the river on both sides is a treat also. I highly recommend giving the bridge and the surrounding areas a visit.

This museum in Louisville, Kentucky is a must-see for fans of baseball bats. The museum has a factory tour that charts the journey of a bat from a humble piece of wood to an expertly made professional baseball bat. Other noteworthy exhibits include the world's largest bat, Buds Batting Cage, and interactive displays like Babe Ruth's batting helmet. The Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory is easily recognizable by its towering 120-ft steel baseball bat, the Worlds Biggest Bat.
A fascinating place for baseball fans as well as those with just a passing knowledge of the game. Watch bats being created out of blocks of wood. When we were there, they were making bats for opening day. You can also get a personalized bat. There are displays highlighting baseball greats and other unique facets of the sport. A great attraction and an easy walk from downtown.

Totally awesome tour and definitely worth it. All of my kids enjoyed it. The free mini bat is a nice touch either. Keeping four boys from poking each other with them is a different story. After the tour you get to see the museum which has some nice extra items in it. We came on a holiday on the fourth of July weekend and only had to wait 10 minutes for a tour to start.

If you like baseball history you will luv this place. They give you a great tour of the factory where they make 4000 bats per day. They also have lots of pro baseball items you can buy that are signed. At the end of the tour you get a free souvenir bat. You can use the batting cages or check out the bat cave and gift shop. Ez parking.

As a former baseball player, it was a really cool experience to see where these bats are made. Also, the amount of time and dedication they take to craft each one. It was also cool to bat in the cages to test out different players' bats. I would definitely recommend it to someone who played baseball before or someone who appreciates woodworking!

You can hold a bat that belonged to Babe Ruth in 1933, you can see bats from Joe Di Magio, Roberto Clemente, Jackie Robinson, Roger Maris, Tyler Cobb, and some other legends. You can buy nice souvenirs at the gift store and even get a customized bat. I highly recommend this museum.

This was a pretty cool tour as it was in a real production facility where they are not afraid to show off the pride of their product. Overall, it is always cool to support a family business even if it is a big one. Pro tip: they give everyone who takes the tour a mini bat which saves on souvenirs for large family groups. Pro tip #2: they laser print all types of bats for gifts and it is pretty quick.

Fantastic place if you even have a remote interest in baseball. I would say if you enjoy watching stuff get made or are into woodworking you would enjoy the place. Nice space with some free exhibits, but if you want to enter the museum portion and/or do the tour, there is a fee.
I think the tour is a must try for fans. It was interesting to hear about and see the process. AND they give you a mini bat of your own at the end of the tour. When we went early in the morning, there was no wait for the tour, BUT when my friend wanted to do the tour later in the day, she would have had to wait about 1.5 hour for her tour group. So, buy the tour ticket early if you plan to attend around the noon time.

Really fun for families and baseball fans. The tour is easy and is with a guide. You walk through different setups in the factory and they play short videos with more information. At the end you get a mini slugger, watch out for everyone who gets super lit to get them - they start swinging.
There are other parts to visit including a history area with mannequin/statues of famous players. They also have a bat room. And the batting cage is fun if you have the time.

My wife has talked about Louisville Slugger Museum for as long as I've known her. It has an extremely strong anchor to baseball, especially professional baseball. All the majors, leagues and players, get their bats from here. It is where their bats are made. At this museum, you can see how bats are made, from the selection of the tree to the cut and shape of the bats. It features a tour of the factory itself and ends with its own museum of baseball history. It is a fascinating tour for anyone, whether you are interested in baseball or not. It is a highly recommended tour of Americana.

Greeted by the World's Largest Baseball Bat right out of the museum. I ended up taking the tour here and they show you beginning to end, the production of the bat. Starting from the piece of wood, how it was cut back in the day. Nowadays with machinery, you see how quick production can be. You get to see every step of the way from the carving of the machine, to a slope test, to the sanding machine and then they are finished in with some paint. Lastly some are branded and then ready to go for use! Overall nice tour and you get a small souvenir bat out of it. Very nice!

Great museum and if you're a lover of baseball, then this is a must do! The tour includes walking through the actual factory while the bats are being made, which I found to be the best part of the tour. The tour guide also went into the science of how they're put together. You also get to take home a nice token... you guess it, a miniature Louisville slugger bat.

I’m a big baseball fan and I really enjoyed the tour! Learning about where the wood is sourced and seeing a bat being made was very special. After the tour you can go to the batting cage and try out bats that are replicas of the pros both current and historic. My favorite bat is Hank Aaron’s, I had to try Babe Ruth’s bat too, it’s HUGE and hard to swing.
If you don’t have time for the whole tour you can just go to the batting cage and gift shop. There also a movie that talks about the history of the game and Louisville Sluggers roll. I’ll be back again!

Located in Borden, Indiana, Huber's Orchard & Winery is a sprawling farm with fruit and vegetable picking, wine tastings, vineyard tours and a bakery. The venue is perfect for weddings and events, with convenient modern amenities.
This tour of the winery and distillery was awesome. Ken did a fabulous job! The wine tasting was fabulous and you get to pick six wines or you also had the option to taste the spirits. There was music out on the patio and we also bout the package that included lunch. Burgers were huge and moist and fries were good too. If you are going to visit, I highly recommend the $35 package! Includes tour, tasting, lunch, glass of wine and a wine glass too! Pick a day when they have music. It was the perfect day and you cannot beat the experience for the price!

We brought the kids just to have a day outside and pick pumpkins and apples. Hadn’t been since a child and I believe there’s two locations now. We ate at the restaurant and went to the play area before doing the fruit picking options . Food at the restaurant was decent but not delicious like I remember it and not worth the price in my opinion but I think they have a Huber restaurant at the other location with more home style food. We had burgers and chicken strips at this place . Smaller kids can definitely run around and use up their energy. They charge you by pound for the apples you pick so if you go with a family be mindful . My family enjoyed the fish pond the most . May come back with just her so we can try wine tasting and just relax with great views. It’s beautiful land and everyone should visit at least once. Stopped in for a wine tasting while in town visiting my parents. Beautiful property and establishment. Had a great wine tasting and definitely will be back when I visit next. Took home the their lakeside white, sweet stella di luce, and limestone white blend as my top three but others were good too. My step dad did the spirits tasting and I'd love to try some of their cocktails. Sipped his black raspberry bourbon liqueur and it was delicious.

Ken at the tasting bar is the absolute best. Very informative going over the tasting menu and we even got to have an extra taste of one of the newer wines they have to offer. Wine Down Wednesday was a success!!

What a great find just a short drive from Louisville KY. Great wine and spirits along with a wonderful staff of 8 generations! My fav was the apple sparkling wine ! Hubby loved the blackberry whiskey. Shared lots of area suggestions with us. They also have a bakery nextdoor and the bread was fabulous. Lots of homemade goodies. Ice cream shop and picnic area also on site ! Will visit again. Highly highly recommend!

So much to do at this place. Orchards and patches, markets and shops. Something for everyone, including the kids. Bamboo and corn mazes, slides, inflatable, racetracks... The winery and distillery are great. Youll easily spend a whole day here. There are several restaurants in the grounds too.

My wife and I visited Hubers Orchard about a month ago and had the best time! We only expected to be there for an hour or two and ended up staying four hours. They have a winery with 15 dollar tastings but you get to pick 7-8 wines or spirts. Also they have a general store with fresh produce and other goodies. On top of that the parking was free and the hay rides were free (or at least it was when we went). Before we left I got some of their ice cream and my wife got their coffee (they were delicious). We definitely plan on visiting again sometime!

We visited this place in October 2023 and I thought it was one of the best places I have ever seen. We tasted wine, enjoyed live music, ate and bought local products that the farm itself produces. We picked apples, tried the best pecan pie ever, bought cheese bread, orange marmalade and apple cider vinegar. One of the best experiences for me and my family that you could have once you visit Jasper, Indiana

Patty gave us a wonderful wine tasting! She was very informative and a delight to talk to. The wine was amazing and we left with 3 bottles. Highly recommend this as a must-do activity for anyone visiting from out of town or even a fun time with friends and family. The fall harvest decorations were gorgeous and Huber’s was selling the most perfect pumpkins I have ever seen. We will definitely be back before fall is over to go pick pumpkins!

Picked punkins and apples. Ate the buffet, excellent. Buffet and drinks four people for 80 dollars. Hard to beat for an authentic home-cooked meal. Shopped and fed fish. Be careful!! I always spend too much money shopping here. Blackberry pie was 16 dollars, loaf of homemade cinnamon bread for 10$ we love this place!

This place has always been fun and just keeps getting better over the years. I went when I was a kid and with both my oldest on school field trips. So much for adults to do and children. The cherry on top is the scenery.

Love this place. My wife and I have been wine club members for several years. They have live music on the patio area, food to eat and a couple bottles of wine. Always well kept and clean. Staff is always friendly. The Family Fun Park is excellent for the kids. They have a plenty to keep them busy for several hours. We will be back soon.
I really enjoyed the “Madison’s Treasures Walking Tour” last weekend with two friends. Volunteer guide Happy Smith did a great job - very knowledgeable and personable. Now as I walk around town, I’m thinking about window heights, columns, fan lights and brick patterns! I highly recommend this tour.

We we in Madison on a weekday in April, and found when we stopped at the HMI office that most of the historic sites were closed. But we had a great conversation with Jess, the director, and learned enough that we know we want to come back! 2 tips we picked up - call ahead if you’d like tours, and Friday’s are good if you want to schedule tours at more than one site

Beautiful, quaint, historic town with plenty to do & see!
Carved oak & stained glass adorn this 1900 ice cream parlor with a classic American menu & a museum.
We loved this place! Great food, friendly staff, and an awesome atmosphere! Prices seemed ok for what you get and the environment that surrounds you. The real soda fountain is a fantastic choice as well as their homemade ice cream.
I highly suggest and recommend checking this place out, even if it's a bigger commute! You won't be disappointed.

Step through the doors for a journey back in time. Expansive marble counters, display cabinets filled with porcelain decanters, and a antique organ with a resonating sound. A truly unique experience. Regrettably with only 1 server and 1 busboy be prepared to wait.

I've been visiting here since I was a very young child, so many fantastic memories! I'm happy to see that it's been well preserved and remains a local icon. My mom said she used to come here for milkshakes during her teenage years . Amazing history. Prices remain affordable and the food was great.

Absolutely a must see place. The building and the artifacts they have inside were so cool to walk around and see. Literally pieces of history everywhere. The staff were amazing, nice, and spot on with their recommendations. Got a brownie sundae. It’s the size of my head! Exactly what I needed! Will visit again!

I take great pride in reccomending this restaurant to anyone who has never been. I have been going to Zaharakos at Christmas since I was a little girl and have now made it a tradition with my family. Today we went as a party of 10. One new comer. While waiting to be seated we we watched a girl at the soda fountain dippin ice cream her hair was down and every time she dipped her hair went in. We were attended to quickly after we were seated. We had a long wait on food but we were not complaining. When the food arrived, everything was cold. Sandwiches, fries and chicken tenders. There was a hair in a small cup of ranch dressing. No big deal, things happen. Then when we ordered the traditional ice cream sundaes, they came with the sauce in the bottom of the dish (maybe a spoonful) and not the traditional gravy boats we are accustomed too. The dip of strawberry my daughter received had a big long hair in it. I do want to mention that it was 2pm and they were not busy. All of this for 189.00 with the a 29.00 gratuity. They only thing we really got out of this tradition was pictures. Minus the Santa and Snowman by the kids table. I have never left a review for anything ever. But I look forward to a family trip there every Christmas and we have all agreed we may need to pick a different place.

Ice cream is awesome and worth the trip. The food is good but is overshadowed by the ice cream. Service was a little slow. That was the only reason it wasn't a five star review.

We were looking for a place to grab a sweet treat after and stumbled in on Zaharakos. We were a bit shocked when we walked in but what a neat experience it was. The ice cream was great and everyone inside was happy to be there. The old soda fountains were really cool to check out and reading the history of them all added a very museum quality to it. Even got an enamel pin from their little souvenir shop to add to my collection.

Yes I will have an old fashioned soda shop with a slice of Americana.
The Nickelodeon/ Calliope is LOUD but thoroughly enjoyed it. Soda floats and malts in any flavor you could want. Food was fresh and served Fast. Chairs have small seats.
New dairy free ice cream coming soon!

Great place for customizable sodas and ice cream treats. They have a limited menu but the food is pretty good. It has a great atmosphere but be aware that the electronic organs play music rather frequently. It can get loud. Bring some quarters if you want to play a specific song. The historical soda fountains are really cool to look at. The ice cream portions are huge. 2 scoops is enough for two adults to share easily.
Emily Scharf — Google review
Such a gem of a store, you need to visit if you’re close by! It’s decked out with Christmas decorations already and the staff is super friendly, plus the whole second half is a museum with old music machines in full working order and candy displays. Genuine soda streams built-in to the back of the counter. Plus the ice cream is delicious! The hot fudge is known near and far ✨

The atmosphere was exquisite. The decor was so elegant and very rich in history and nostalgia, truly a work of art. The mechanical jukeboxes were amazing and created such a unique dining experience. The prices were more affordable than one would likely expect. The flavor of the tenderloin was great, but it did take quite awhile and was served lukewarm. We all agreed it would have likely been a 5 star sandwich had it been served fresh and hot. The service in general was mediocre. Everyone was at least friendly. Now on to the ice cream! We shared the Big Z. It was enormous. It was definitely worth the price. We tried 5 different flavors and everyone liked them all. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stop back in.

My wife and I had a great lunch, and delicious single dip sundae! Our server Emily was friendly, quick to take our order, and brought our food out as soon as it was ready. The food came out in a timely manner, and was cooked and made as ordered. I really enjoyed my burger, and my wife enjoyed her turkey club sandwich. My sundae was brought out quickly after we finished eating and was delicious! I can't wait untill we can make it back!

This is a really cool experience. I felt like I was back in the 1900s with the music and style of the restaurant. They also have old soda fountains and jukeboxes that make their own music. Ice cream was really good as well I got the classic banana split I would recommend to share it as its huge.

Walked in on a Saturday around 1pm. The place did not appear to be particularly busy (not a lot of people waiting). The bar had about 4 staff members behind it, all of which ignored us when we arrived.
There are seats at the bar but apparently no bar seating.
The bar appeared to be the employee break table as they checked their phones, gossiped and double checked appearances in the mirror.
We stood behind a couple who arrived before us about 10 minutes before they were even approached by a staff member. It was about another 5 minutes before we were acknowledged, and then asked to wait longer.
After waiting nearly 20 minutes to even be offered a seat, we decided to walk out and head over to 3rd street dairy queen (which was quick service and plenty of seating).
This comes as a disappointment to my family as we have encountered this situation a few times before, once with family from out of state.
We want to be able to experience and share our love with others for this historic part of Columbus with our children and visitors but will find another substitute and settle for photos online.
Please, do better at managing the flow of your restaurant. It is a shame to be writing this.

A true step back into a simpler time. Fascinating displays of a time when even service machines were built with a sense of detail unheard of today. The fountains could stand alone as works of art. Everywhere you looked, the customers were smiling.

We hosted our Co Christmas party at Zaharakos & specifically picked the evening of Columbus' Festival of Lights parade. We rented the Green River Room upstairs with windows facing the parade, which comfortably fit our group of 60. The planning was made easy, by Carol who let us customize our buffet options. We had a selection of chicken tenders, Tenderloin sandwich & Gom cheese brr grr (aka sloppy Joe) served with french fries, Mac and cheese, green beans & salad with a sundae bar. We received excellent service & communication the whole way through. This was an hour drive for our team but it was definitely worth the drive. Carol went above & beyond to make sure everyone could easily get there (due to street closures for the parade.) I was very impressed with the food & service & of course the gorgeous venue, rich in history.

After leaving a wedding next door, we decided we’d go for a sweet treat at Zaharakos. My lady and I were all dressed up, and given phenomenal service by the two ladies at the bar top. One of their names was Lillie. Actually, after our dinner, Lillie was kind enough to go outside in 30 degree weather to take multiple photos of us. Afterwards, she expressed the internal satisfaction it gave her to do this for us. Thank you Lillie for making our experience special!
This is an adorable family owned winery. You are able to do 6-8 complimentary wine tastings. The bottles are really affordable (some are $9.99) compared to any other winery I've been to. My partner and I left with six bottles of wine. Definitely stop by Brown County Winery if you're traveling through this area.

My wife and I stopped here on our way to Nashville recently and were very pleasantly surprised. We had the pleasure of being served by Zach, who was knowledgeable, attentive and super personable. I really enjoyed this place. First off great variety to try. Second they give you 6 free samples which is unheard of these days but I really appreciate that. There were very good about waiting on us even though it was crowded. Love the Blackberry wine if you like sweet wines. Definitely try the port wines if you like that style they were deliciously smooth and tasty with a kick. We were fortunate enough To be there on a sunny day so set on the porch and drank a bottle of chilled win. Great way to spend an afternoon. Reasonable prices for their wines just make it that much better. Weekends
Definitely csn get crowded especially in nice weather.

Great tasting room and plenty of seating on the outdoor patio! We visited in the fall and the scenery around this location is wonderful.
Pricing is unmatched…. $9.99 for some of the best wines on the menu!
The service was awesome and the wines are delicious. Very good balance on the menu from dry to sweet, and the seasonal wines and port are phenomenal. Shoutout to Justin for his welcoming presence, menu walkthrough, and delivering a friendly tasting experience.

Although this winery lacks the beautiful secluded views of many wineries, their prices and quality are top class. Service was super friendly and personal. Very impressed with the Autumn wines. Highly recommend a stop when visiting Brown County. Cheers 🥂

My husband and I have been to brown country state park and downtown nashville about a million times, but we never had a chance to stop at this winery until now. We did a wine tasting, which was complimentary by the way... that's awesome! We loved pretty much every one we tried so we ended up buying a case of 12 different wines. Everything was very reasonably priced. Also did a little shopping in the little store. They had some really cute Christmas gifts for my girls at work! We then decided to take a bottle and some snacks onto their patio area. Such a nice relaxing afternoon getaway! Can't wait to go back!

Always try to make this a priority stop when on the road. Very easy parking for the RV, lots of shops to choose from - our faves are Nike and Under Armour. Several others get our money, too! Like the fun little rides for kids entertainment while the adults shop🙂. 6pm in a Saturday and it wasn't very busy at all. Shops close early or on-time. Be sure to leave time to hit the ones at the top of your list.

This is only addressing the 2 electric ‘charging’ stations that are near one of the side entrances. They don’t work. I did call in to the Help number on the screen and apparently the payment system was not working. However, they were able to unlock the unit, which allowed me to charge without payment.

This is a standard outlet mall. You’ll find all of the big name outlet brand stores here. The exteriors of the buildings are looking worn and there is no food court to speak of - although there are several restaurants bordering the property.
