State park
Nature & Parks
Park
Nature park featuring waterfalls & rapids on the Amnicon River, trails & camping.
Definitely a different vibe during the winter but it’s a really quick beautiful hike! Small loop near falls couldn’t have taken more than 20 minutes. Many smaller falls within the area near Aminicon falls. With big rock walls carved on by rapids and rushing waters. A few walking bridges and an iconic covered bridge! Gorge like a multiple areas, it’s great place to explore, right off the highway!
Quincy Blackwell — Google review
Very scenic park. The small rapids along the park road when we first drove in really caught our eyes. I was excited to see the covered bridge in person. The multiple waterfalls and the rocky stream are very picturesque. The park is smaller but a lot of fun to spend time at. I want to go back and eat lunch in one of the many picnic tables. The restrooms were pit type but they were clean. We spent 45 minutes here and wish we had more time.

Amnicon Falls State Park has such a beautiful set of waterfalls that are a must see for any nature lover. This is definitely one of the best state parks in Wisconsin, and one of the most scenic and wonderful places around to make a visit to. The river running through the park makes for an awesome and unique hike. They have some great and unique campground sites. The covered bridge between the two waterfalls is an amazing site to see. I highly recommend making a visit here.

This is one of my favorite state parks to camp at! The waterfalls are stunning. There is a covered bridge, campsites, picnic areas, and awesome hiking trails. The forest is full of cool plants and mushrooms, and so much more! Highly recommend this for camping with family, the kiddo loved it!
Gretchen Gosnell — Google review
Went to hike the waterfalls. Very nice trails to walk and explore the falls. Walked down to the river and enjoyed some beautiful pictures.
Some people were swimming under the big falls, which was fun. Covered bridge was beautiful too and very unique! Loved the fairly easy hike. Ground is uneven and rough, but we did see someone with a stroller getting around.
Really cool feature was the selfie stand, never seen one before, tried it, and worked really neat!
Andy Weinkauf — Google review
Beautiful State Park and well taken care of. The trails to the falls and covered bridge were easily accessible for my husband with his walker which was a bonus for both of us. Mosquitoes were plentiful so take proper care.
Deb Hanson — Google review
Omg this place was so beautiful!
Multiple falls and view points.
Check out snake pit.
Now and then falls wasn't flowing when we were there.
There's an approximately 2.5-mile loop that goes all the way around.
We mainly stayed on the one side but hiked down the gorge to get right up to the falls.
There's a cool covered bridge you can view the falls from as well.
And you can walk right along the river listening to the flowing water.
It was stunning to be standing down in gorge looking up. The pictures don't really show the true awesomeness of it.
I would definitely recommend stopping here. We were waterfall chasing, so we didn't spend a ton of time here, but you definitely could!
There are picnic areas.

Awesome place! Stopped by while visiting duluth and will be making another trip back to spend the day checking it out. There are so many trails to check out and waterfalls around every bend of the river. Was not expecting this place to be this cool! Also took a quick drive through the camping area and looks great woth all the camping spots separated by trees.
Chris Steinhaus — Google review
This is a terrific park for an easy hike around. It has well maintained trails, plenty of benches for you to rest on and tons of picnic tables. I think this place is a great option for families, couples, or anyone who can't hike challenging terrain.
Misty Daniels — Google review
The waterfall area will remind you of Zion National Park scenery, if you've been lucky enough to visit there. If you haven't been that lucky, then see Amnicon State Park for sure and you'll get an idea of what you're missing. Bring your swimsuit and maybe a floatie so you can soak and float in the dark water near the waterfall. In July the water is not cold. It's perfect on a hot day to take a refreshing swim in the temperate water. The geology of the area is fascinating; be sure to read the signage and if you can, take the geology self-guided tour. In some parks you have to stay on trails so as not to damage the fragile foliage off-trail. But here I didn't see any signs ordering you to stay on the trails. People were going down into the waterfall and stream area, so we did too. Gorgeous on a sunny day. Little fish in the water, even saw a tiny crayfish eating algae off the rocks. It's worth the 6.5 hour drive from Milwaukee if you also hit Pattison State Park. See if you can squeeze in Copper Falls as well.

Amnicon Falls State Park was beautiful during the fresh snow on 12-30-23! I love how this park has several waterfalls!
James Charmelo — Google review
Beautiful, rustic campground. I live finding little gems like this. Not a crazy busy, big park. Great place to relax. Nice, easy-to-use and beautiful hiking trails. So many pictures taken, and they definitely don't do it justice. We have visited in the summer and in the spring just after a nice blanket of snow, not sure what time was my favorite. Just so much beauty in this little state park! Could just sit and listen to the falls all day, can't wait to go back!
Ann Bigelow — Google review
If you like waterfalls, don't miss Amnicon Falls. These falls cascade over two arms of the Amnicon River. The park extends over more than 800 acres. Access to the falls is provided by trails, many over uneven granite trails. The covered bridge is a lovely feature.
James Aderman — Google review
First time camping here and it was a blast! The sites are spaced nicely, we got one of the two walk-in sites for added privacy, each came with the standard bench, picnic table, and fire pit. The front office has very kind workers with maps, firewood, and suggestions on trails and other parks nearby. The rain didn't keep us down! Get some ponchos and get a little dirty! We've gone just hiking here before and the falls will always take your breath away, or if that's not enough take the plunge into the Snake Pit ("no jumping" 😉). We live 5 hours away but would gladly come back any weekend.
Miklyn Paige — Google review
Went Here For the First time last Summer and WOW it was breathtaking, the views and getting up close with the waterfalls! Would Very Much Recommend!
Madi Greenbush — Google review
An absolutely gorgeous place for an afternoon picnic or swim. The shallow river runs through boulders and outcroppings, allowing visitors to easily walk down its shores. Two deeper spots lie beneath the two main falls, making for perfect swimming holes during the summer.
Lovely place!! So many beautiful art pieces. The couple who runs the place were very kind and fun to chat with. Totally worth the stop if you're in the area.

Oulu Glass Gallery is such a unique and amazing place! The building alone is an architectural wonder, handmade by the owners in a creative and inspired fashion, with a life of its own.
The glass artworks is gorgeous, with an array of different colors and designs available at reasonable prices.
Definitely worth a visit! Come in the spring/summer for events like tea and music.

This place is unique and special. I have brought several people here and each have sincerely appreciated the art everywhere. It's an experience! I have also gotten lost and driven way too many miles down some rough gravel roads when I tried different routes.

Very friendly and talented people! Go check out this incredible art form and see talent in action at their forge!

Blown glass items are available for sale year-round, but glass blowing takes place in cold months. There are demonstrations and the glass blower / owner will incude volunteers sometimes. It is a nice opportunity for kids and families. The process is fascinating and the owner does a good job interacting with his guests.

Once again I was completely in awe of this place. So many choices. Best place to go for a gift. It's like wandering through an art museum.

It was so fun to find this on our way home from Ashland, Wi. It’s such a treat to taste local products! Please visit this neat cozy place! I didn’t get to snap much photos but they do have all kinds of Mead drinks & ciders. The couple John and Kim (Hamilton?) has been running and making these local drinks for the past 28 years! We support local 💯 and they deserve to be recognized more. They are lovely and kind people which makes it an impressive impression, surely!
There are toys for kids to get busy with too! But the real deal is the challenge they give to kids with cup & ball, not sure about the name of the game but if you visit you’ll know!
Cheers to more Wisconsin place to discover ☺️

We had an excellent tasting here! It was a great place to do an afternoon trip while we were visiting the area, and the staff even helped us find other hidden gems to see while in the Iron River/Bayfield/Ashland vicinity! They ship, too, so we didn't have to worry about taking our selections that day.

First time for Mead . Was pleasantly surprised. Our host was extremely knowledgeable guiding us through the experience. Thank you we will be back

Thr folks at White Winter are always amazing. Their meads and ciders are awesome. You need a gift for someone? Their products will make you everyone's favorite gift giver! They'll ship!
If you get the chance, stop for one of their music gatherings also! We are...again!!

This winery offers a unique offering of a Wisconsin staple. Wine has for a long time been part of Wisconsin but the smooth silky flavors along with the special attention that us shown at White Winter is amazing. Jon & Kim have perfected a blending process that give their Meads a high class flavor no one else can come close to. The attention, care and respect they have for what they do goes beyond reproach. Don't pass on the chance to experience White Winter and what they have to offer you would definitely regret it..

Did the mead mile today! Sampled the full flight, it was delicious. Work the drive and the cost was super reasonable. We'll definitely be doing it again!.

Wonderful selection of honey wine and ciders.
The raspberry tickled hard cider was a treat on ice in this hot weather. It took my taste buds a while to decipher the hopped cider but it presented a lovely citrus note after a moment. Very nice. Can't wait to try the maple syrup mead. Thanks! White Winter ... Iron River has a gem here.

What a fun find! The place is lovely, the staff is super friendly and the wine and mead are wonderful! The awards on their products speak for themselves. We will be back.
Bar atmosphere. No blaring music 👍🏼A few tables to eat at. Sandy was an excellent waitress. All you can eat broasted chicken and/or deep fried cod, yes, you can get both on the same order! Served with a breadstick, fries or wedges, and coleslaw. Scrumptious food!

Very good burgers… small but decent beer selection. And broasted chicken looked and smelled awesome!

Pizza with sauerkraut is the best! MUST HAVE! MUST TRY! If you are in this area don't pass this bar! Very clean and pleasant atmosphere.
Ana Bundy — Google review
Granted, it was Sunday evening of Memorial Day weekend, but service was horrendous! When we came in, it took a while to get a menu & be told they were only serving broasted chicken & appetizers vs. the full menu. Ok, we can handle that. Took 10 minutes or more to return to take our order. We received no warning that there would probably be a LONG wait for our food. The server didn't come back to check on us for at least 20 minutes after we ordered - probably longer! After we'd been waiting at least 35 minutes after ordering, she looked at us from halfway across the room and said, "You're next." At least 10 minutes later, she said that our chicken would be next to go INTO the boaster, but no comment as to when it might be done. Fifty-five minutes after we ordered, we finally received our meals. The server did apologize and offer the food for free, but frankly, I would rather have received notice up front of how long the wait was likely to be. How hard is that? The number of orders, including ours, times the length of time to cook each order. "Your wait will be about × minutes." Had we known we were in for a 55 minute wait, we wouldn't have ordered! We won't be going back!

My two favorite food items are the Buffalo Chicken Wrap (hands down the best I’ve ever had-EVERY TIME!) and the Broasted Chicken! My boyfriend likes the Grilled Ham and Cheese and Pizza’s. Our go to drinks are Spotted Cow (On Tap) and Carbliss (All Flavors-Veteran Owned WI Company)! Great local family owned bar/restaurant where they always make you and the family feel at home with their cold drinks, hot food and warm atmosphere.
Stopped at Tommy's Too High Wines and had an awesome time! The owners and staff are awesome to talk to. Awesome wines- all made in small batches so each visit could have different flavors, making it a unique experience! We will definitely be back!

We had a blast at Tommy’s Too High Wines! It was our first visit to the area and based on so many great reviews, we had to try it. This place is magical. If you want to sample some of the most unusual & delicious wines anywhere, as well as meet some really fun people, we highly recommend it! Janet is a rare gem. Ask her to share a few stories & some of her wine wisdom.

Really fun place, casual atmosphere, excellent wine! We will be stopping anytime we are in the area. Bought two bottles of wine and already wishing we had bought more. Our favorite is "Prospect", a blueberry wine that keeps you wanting more! The owners are super friendly and the service was excellent!

Great wine and the staff is amazing. I love this place. I have been all over the usa and this place is great. A shout out to the staff and owners. They are great. If you have a dog they welcome them inside and outside. Please put this place on your list to visit. You will not be disappointed.

The owners and employees were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Tommy, Jan and Molly were awesome. The wine tasting was free with a good variety and the prices for bottles weren’t too high. They kept us full of snacks. Tommy told us the background on each wine. Their customer service was unmatched. They really were incredible.

Being "newbies" to the Danbury area, we venture out to find great spots for fun, food and just about everything! We found a fantastic gem at Tommy's Too High Wines. Not only were Tommy and Jen fabulous, funny, and great hosts, the wines were delicious! My only regret is we didn't find it sooner! Can't wait to go back!
Diane Palmer — Google review
Tastings are free but they don't tell you till your about to leave that you have to buy a bottle&drink it there or a glass of wine. I would have rather paid for a tasting. 2 stars cause wine was very good(bought wine to take home) but still only came for a tasting. Felt pressured to drink more then wanted.

This is such a great place. Everyone is so nice. The wines are very good. The man who served us for our wine tasting, was very knowledgeable and Informative. After the tasting, we sat outside with a glass of wine and enjoyed the entertainment. It was a great time.
What a fun place to bring family and friends! This family owned and operated business has a great atmosphere. On Fridays and Saturdays we enjoy coming into the winery and listening to live music and trying their latest wines. Out of The Woods Winery has a great selection of wines and they make tasty wines right on site as well! If you’re in Hayward this place is a must!!!

This place is an absolute must when you are in Hayward! We own a few rental cabins in Hayward and this is at the top of my list any time someone asks what to check out downtown. I don't know a ton about wine but the wine is good in my book but the thing is this place is really about the experience. The owners are about the nicest people you will ever meet and genuinely enjoy welcoming people into their space. Thank you guys for having this in Hayward!!

We stopped in to do a wine tasting and had a great experience. Our favorite wine ended up being the Cherry Moscato. We have already talked about planning another trip up with more family and this is for sure on our list of places to stop again. Thank you for the friendly and great service!!

Absolutely love this place! Love to share it with our friends who visit us in town…. Besides the tastings (which are awesome) the wine slushees are our favorites! The gentlemen who run the place are fantastic, friendly and make this an absolute destination in Hayward!

This place is adorable!! I highly recommend a visit. The owners were so kind and we had so much fun doing our tasting! There are so many great wines to choose from— some they made & some that are made else where. They also have some snacks, wine slushies, and wine bloodies!!! Definitely stop when you’re in downtown Hayward.

We had a really enjoyable time today at this winery. We were visiting the area doing another activity and we love trying new winerys so we fit this one in. So glad we did. Left with 2 cases of wine!!! Very pleasant owners ... loved his stories. This is definitely a place to go to!!!
Sharon Lyda — Google review
I can't say enough good things about this place or Jess and Dan. The product is ever evolving. Every time I'm here, there's something new to try along with my tried and true favorites. The real take-away is these guys do everything they can to make each and every customer feel like they're their favorite costumer. In times like these where customer service and hospitality are understandably wishy-washy, these folks stand tall above the rest.
Slime After Hours — Google review
This place is amazing. I need to start out by saying I am not a wine drinker. We stopped here for my wife. By the time we left I had 3 bottles for myself. Their wines are delicious. The owners are great hosts! Their hospitality is second to none. This place feels like a family gathering. Very relaxed and chill. Even though we are 4 hours away, we will definitely be back and I will wear my Fred Flintstones shirt!

Fun little place. People were very friendly and owner was nice as well. Got to try some of his creations he was making in front of us. Mango wine was great, environment was fun and was an enjoyable little place to go on our trip up north. Would love to come back and actually try my own glass of wine this time 😂. Got distracted talking and trying the complimentary creations and sharing the wine with my partner that I didn't even get to have a glass of my own before we had to leave. Will be back!
This is a quiet, peaceful river. Along the journey, a deer was by the water and stayed as we rowed by. A train came along the waterway, adding to the variations you see. The two drawbacks are a lack of places to pull off to stretch after your first few miles and the heavy paddle for rowing. Otherwise, great service and a beautiful place to kayak.
Michelle W — Google review
You will not be disappointed. I've been coming here for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience. The facility and staff are the best. Beautiful stretch of river with excellent small mouth and trout fishing. They provide everything you need from tubes and cooler rafts to canoes, kayaks, paddles, and life jackets.
John Gilbertson — Google review
We canoed the Namakagon this year instead of the Boundary Waters. Was very impressed with the river and this service! Jack’s had all of our gear ready and drove us to a drop off and then we ended at their outfit where we had parked out cars. Definitely much easier, logistically, than the Boundary Waters.
The river is also beautiful and ever mile felt like a completely different geography. Plus we saw 14 bald eagles! Would definitely canoe this river again through Jack’s!
John Cronin — Google review
The staff was ok, they said it would be a 3-3.5 hour trip down the river (which we were fine with). It wasn't until we got to the drop off point that the guy driving the van said that there are several down trees in the river, and to watch out for them. The current was not strong and the river was very shallow. The entire trip took 4.5 hours. Way too much time was spent walking and carrying your tube because the water was too shallow to float down. This was my first and last time tubing. Never again.
John Piraino — Google review
Went as a group of 15. 4months- 38 years old. Everyone had a great time! I highly recommend water shoes, which are available for sale in the office, and umbrella's, im not sure if they had them for sale. We were on the river for a good 5 hours so sunscreen and water are also a good idea! So many places to stop and hang out, or plenty of room to float on by.
marlene jackels — Google review
Great experience! They let you pick your route on the river, and then drive you to the landing, giving you your lifejackets, canoes, and paddles. Great river to canoe on, very chill and beautiful, with tons of wildlife (2 saw 2 deer and plenty of birds). Probably reasonably priced, but I don't rent canoes often so I can't say for sure, and there are very friendly staff! Would go again.
Levi Rainwater — Google review
Can rent kayaks and tubes and caneos. Recommend children to wear life jackets which they provide.
Walk up the when done tubing and eat at river ends bar and had ice cream shop next down. The staff is very helpful before and after tubing .
,Three to ,three and half hour float. Easy to find with big yellow sign.
Will shuttle you to earl to start the tubing.

Great experience every year. I have been using Jacks Canoe for once a year for the last 20 years. We always float down the river with the entire family. Great people that work there, the drivers are always nice and help you get the boats down to the river. It is easy to get out of the river at the landing. You leave the boats down at the landing and bring everything else up to the building. they have trash cans at the landing so it is easy to keep you trash out of the river.

We had an amazing time tubing down the river! Just went last Saturday for my first time. Just me and my partner and it was great! Took most the day as we stopped to enjoy lunch and watch the passer-byers can’t wait to bring the kids next time and do it again!

My group had a great time canoeing the Namekagon from Hayward to Jack’s. Lifelong memories were made. Jack’s runs a superb operation. We reserved two canoes and they had them loaded up and ready when we arrived. They were busy on a hot July Saturday with tubers, but check in was still quick and easy. Within minutes the shuttle van pulled up beside our cars so loading our gear was easy. It was a seamless operation. At the end of our three days on the river we paddled up to Jack’s landing and were on our way home without any fuss. The canoes and equipment were solid and could handle scrapping past the occasional rock in rapids. We felt safe and well taken care of. The Namekagon River is now my favorite river for canoe camping in wisconsin. We are beyond words and over the moon about much fun and peace we found on this river. My group was already planning a return trip for the next leg of the river before we even finished this one.
Kenneth Casper — Google review
After telling my son and a friend about a canoe trip I took as a teenager down the Namekagon and St. Croix rivers 30 years ago, they both said they really wanted to do something similar. After reaching out to multiple outfitters in the region, I choose Jack's and I'm glad I did.
I didn't want to transport my 17 foot Grumman aluminum to upper Wisconsin and take it through the rapids. We were also going to need to rent a second boat anyways and needed a shuttle. I started looking into local outfitters. They were quick to respond to my inquiries and answer my questions. They also were willing to not only rent us a canoe and a kayak and provide shuttle service, but they answered my questions about what I'd need to do for a multiple night trip down the river.
We camped at their site for the first night and put in right there so we could paddle down the river, across Trego Lake, portage the dam, then continue down the Namekagon and St. Croix Rivers over the next couple of days.
The equipment they rented us was in good condition. We had no issues with the paddles, PFDs, or boats. The shuttle van was clean and well maintained. When we looked at the camps all of them where in nice, clean conditions. The port-a-poties were clean. They have a store on site to purchase any items you may need to go down the river.
The staff was friendly and nice. It wasn't busy when we arrived and was able to chat with some of them. It's a family own and operated business. We had scheduled a 3pm ride back to our vehicles on our last day but due to our underestimating how fast our trip was, we got there around noon. I called Jack's and inquired if there was any way they could pick us up early. Knowing they're busy I highly doubted it. Their response was they didn't have any drivers available right then, but if one becomes available early they would send them our way. We really didn't expect anyone to get there until 3pm. However, around 2pm the shuttle arrived. If we had to wait until the scheduled pick up time that would be understandable, but because they had the availability and could come early, that was pretty awesome in my book.
If you're looking for an outfitter to go down the river either via canoe, kayak, or tube... I can't recommend enough Jack's.

Had a fabulous day on the river. This was the highlight of our summer vacation while visiting from Florida. Super friendly people that run this establishment! I highly recommend doing this if you’re in the area.
A small museum but very informative. You can probably be in and out in 30 mins. A good quick stop to learn of some history of American Birkebeiner, which I never knew about. Free entry and have cool display 3D map of trails that were used.
Museum complex devoted to freshwater fishing, featuring antique motors, vintage rods & mounted fish.
Fun for all ages. Lots and lots and lots of fish, birds and other wildlife replicas on display. A few interesting tidbits for history buffs, too. Solid value for the admission price. They have a nice little fish themed playground for young kids including a real actual wooden see-saw that you can crack your butt on when you come down too hard. And, of course, the HUGE FISH.

Even if you are not an arbor fisherman, this place is a must-see! So much history, it's just amazing.
Well curated with photos, mounts, equipment, tools, and beautifully landscaped.

Fun place to go. Lots of interesting fishing related things to look at, catch pictures, old boat motors and poles, statues of fish from all over the United States and more. We spent probably 45 minutes there. Admission is really affordable too. A unique place to go.

Good to bring the young children. You can have all the information about fish and fishing inside the museum. The giant big fish statue is ready to climb up it's a fun for all. And many other fish statue is there. You need some more time in your hand to explore the museum.

My first visit in probably 20+ years. I forgot how much cool stuff they have. I have to go back soon to finish seeing everything. The vintage lures, reels and motors are the highlights for me. Lots of nostalgia, including a copy of the reel I’ve had since I was a kid. And a very fair price to get in.
Douglas Ahmann — Google review
Place was great. We were in there for at least 3 hours and we definitely going back because 3 hours was not enough. It has all kinds of interesting stuff in it. All about fishing in the history off. Also all kinds of old boat motors, lures, fishing poles, big stuffed fish, etc. Also the gift shop is probably the most reasonable gift shop I have ever been in. The kids will love it. The adults will love. So much interesting stuff. Also entrance fee is very reasonable.
Marion St. John — Google review
On our way back from hiking the Apostle Island, my partner and I wanted to explore the smaller towns on 63. We do not fish, but we greatly enjoyed exploring this museum. You enter thru the gift shop, and then there's a ticketing fee to see the garden and exhibits. Adult tickets are $8.95 per person, kids and seniors are discounted.
The garden not only had large sculptures of cool fish, it was surrounded by colorful flowers and bushes. There were two buildings that had educational and historical exhibits on almost anything about 'fishing;' and an impressive collection of taxidermies.
Signage were helpful, and this venue is ADA-friendly, and very clean and well-maintained.

Pretty cool little museum. It’s cool watching around the museum and looking at all of the fish models and old fishing technology(motors, lures, etc). And of course the main attraction is the giant Muskie statue, which is very impressive. The other large fish statues are also cool.

Cool things in a cool place. As far as considering it a hall of fame...... no not at all. When asking what it takes to be inducted I was shrugged off. These people need some people skills. It's more of a tourist trap. You guys should be more welcoming. My family tied the first fishing flys as displayed in your museum however I'm laughed at for mentioning it.
Adam Rea — Google review
This was a fun stop. Lots and lots of fishing equipment. Not being a fishermen myself, once I've seen one, I've seen them all! But it was still enjoyable to walk through the museum. The view from the mouth of the fish was nice. The grounds was beautiful and well maintained.
Christina Walborn — Google review
Very nice. Lots of stuff to see. I do wish they had more funny lures that were a highlight. I think they should put fish in that pond. And more hands on and interactive parts would get the kids to not get bored like my little brother did. But my husband and I were very intrigued and learned new things about fish and fishing.

One of the best tourist traps I have ever seen. I was waiting for a person to jump out in a fish costume. Definitely needs a lot of upkeep! $8.95 a person you should really keep this place clean and in top shape. Place was dirty and a huge wasp nest right inch away from someone face. The wings smell of dampness along with dust everywhere. The city should really donate some money for the upkeep.

This is one of my favorite museums in Wisconsin. Absolutely massive collection of outboards, Taxidermied fish, lures, and rods. The huge Muskie is a must see!
Will P — Google review
I had visited in the past but had to stop to show my 9 year old son. This is the type of museum you have to visit just to say you did. There's nothing like standing in the mouth of a muskie overlooking Hayward. Walking around the yard looking at the larger than lifefish sculptures is fun for the kids. The museum itself contains mire lures, rods, boat motors, and reels than people could imagine as well as some great examples of the size of these fish. There are also many photos of people's catches across the country and record-breaking catches as well. If you're in Hayward, stop by to tour it just to say you did!

Enjoyed the exhibits and the history of fishing, seeing the record fish. Snapping some photos from the muskies mouth. Affordable admission fee, small playground for the kiddos
Been coming to Wilderness Walk for nearly forty years. It's a great place to relax and enjoy some time with the various animals. While some people may be put off by the use of cages since modern zoos typically use more natural habitats, all of the animals seemed well cared for. The animals also interact with guests a lot more than typical zoo animals.
In addition to the zoo, there is a western themed mini-town for kids to explore with mystery house, jail, gold panning, maze, and cafe.
Overall this is a relatively inexpensive way to enjoy a half day in Hayward.

Loved everything about this place! Lots of animals to see, some we could even pet and feed. A nice little cafe for snacks and fun buildings to go in. We spent a few hours in there going on the trails and checking out all the info on the posts along the way. Definitely a place for all ages everyone should stop by and see!

This is a roadside zoo with depressed animals in deplorable conditions who are deprived of proper shade or shelter to cool or warm themselves or to participate in their natural behaviors. Small, dusty, concrete cages where they can never even touch the grass. Ducks without access to water to swim in, penned up a few yards from a bubbling stream. A lone wolf pacing frantically (wolves are social animals of course). Two black bears losing their minds in a concrete pit. So much dust in all the cages it’s hard to breath. I could go on and on. Don’t support them. Sponsors should pull their funding or pressure them for changes. Ideally, most animals should be relinquished to proper sanctuaries or at least they could improve conditions and increase cage sizes—the property has tons more space. Such a shame.

Let me start by saying I understand that there is new ownership and that changes are being made. We visited with 2 seniors, 3 adults, and a 3yo. Admission was a little high at $96 for our group, if things were a little more organized this would not have been as big of an issue. We asked for a map and were informed that they had just gave away their last one. We were able to navigate but some direction in the zoo would have helped. Some of enclosures with the animals did seem a bit small but we could see where the new ownership has already started adding space for the animals. A suggestion would be to put up more signage that tells you about the animals, none of the enclosures had more than one and many had none. We found ourselves using google lens for the ones that we didnt know. Animals appeared healthy and several had direct interaction with us. The little petting zoo as you come in was a nice area allowing you to pet deer, goats, rabbits and Guinea-pigs. The walking paths could be a little better for people that have to use walkers. The buildings that we entered were weathered but again could see that they are making changes with the new ownership. I can't speak to the little Cafe that's there as we did not eat there. I believe if they continue with the changes we seen all this will be resolved.

Pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a small glorified petting zoo, but this was So much better! A fairly large area, good variety of animals and things looked in good condition; I especially liked feeding the bears; highly recommend.

Such a fun time! The petting zoo was amazing, with lots of baby goats, rabbits and Guinea pigs you could pet. The rest of the zoo was also great, with a large amount of interesting animals. You can also use quarters to feed most of them, but it’s not exactly needed. The only section that was not the most enjoyable was the tiger, since he looked a little depressed.

This wall Zoo was fun! There were some animals (mostly deer) that walked around with us.
They had a baby animal section that was interesting. There we several baby deer that were adorable!

We love coming here when we travel up north! Great for all kids! My girls love the petting zoo the best! Bunnies, goats, baby deer, ferrets, chinchillas, and even a baby skunk! The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. It is a little pricey, but the girls really do love going here.

We had a super fun time as a family visiting while on vacation. Easily walkable, a great variety of animals, and the people operating it were great. You get way closer to the animals than most zoos and the free roaming animals were fun to interact with.

What a fun experience! This was the cleanest, most well maintained small zoo I have ever been to. With some of the coolest animals, too. They were friendly and there was a lot of hands on engagement for the littles. Plus, the deer roam free! We saw all the animals, and fed most of them. The goats were very welcoming, and the Bears were a lot of fun to watch. There were so many species of birds to see. We loved the little gift shops and fun "houses" to explore. There is a lot of walking, so wear the proper shoes! If you have littles, this is a must see and experience place!
“ What happens at winery - stays at the winery “ is the best quote for this spot! If you are looking for a traditional winery / wine tasting - go to California?!? Or else where …This is a unique spot.. the wine is unique and the owner ( male( as others have described)) even more unique. Pat the owner is what makes clover meadows a good time- but you have to enjoy his genius and wit. Embrace his playful comments / banter and you’ll have a blast. Or be a heartless Karen and say this place sucks. But I’d encourage people to enjoy this space and the wine for what it is and enjoy the owners fun banter because he is creating a business offering so much good! We ended up leaving with one of the owners drawings - and a few bottles. The tasting was a blast! But you cling on to the experience… of what clover meadows is!

1st time there, it is a very unique place and environment. The owner was extremely pleasant and explained the assortment of wines about why they are unique to this area. Fun place!
Russ T — Google review
Off of the dirt road tucked back beyond the trees is a quaint winery/distillery. Surrounded by horse and big windows looking out with a wood fire stove burning in the corner. You enter and it is not like any other winery you have been too. Two rescue dogs greet you - you'll later realize they have 48 + animals in rehabilitation and all proceeds go to helping the animals and wine, liquor and brandy making is an incentive to your donation. Taste a variety of different organic homemade wine. Talk with the owners and sit back and smile over a bowl of chew-mix at how homelike you feel. There is plans for dispersed camping, RV-hookups and more. Live music and game night. This is the perfect place for a girls days, date night, family frenzy or a tourist stop. Clover Meadow Winery and White Wolf Distillery was amazing and I hope to learn about the rest of their horses, wine making skills and the phenomenal stories that are told.

2 stars for Beautiful grounds & rescuing horses, nice building. Friendly gal behind counter. Long haired fella....oh so rude.
Wines just not good. Asked for 2 different wine tastes to decided which bottle and he seemed highly annoyed so we picked a randdom...the rubarb. Was terrible...everyone has different tastes but wasn't for us 4. Think the rudeness of gentlemen set the tone first, went down hill from there. Sorry won't be back.

Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience. The wines all smelled and tasted of vinegar. Either corked or too old. The owner (male) was very off putting and quite rude throughout our time there. At first we thought he was trying to be funny or eccentric but he wasn't. He also made some strange comments to the women in our group. We were all very uncomfortable. Definitely wouldn't recommend a visit here.
A extremely nice owner/sales associate named Denise. She helped me find everything that I was looking for and went above and beyond in helping me. It’s very rare these days to find someone who will help you with everything that you need and has all the answers to all your questions. Usually you get someone who doesn’t know and doesn't spend more than a minute to help you. Denise on the other hand showed me everything and even things that I didn’t even know they had. She spent a good 20 to 30 minutes of her time finding and getting the items that I came in for. I appreciated it so much that I went back the next morning before leaving to buy a item that caught my eye when I left the first time, which was the fish in my pictures and she had a bunch of different designs of them. She provided me excellent service, beautiful items that the quality of are like no other, and information about where I can learn more about the items I bought. I highly recommend you go to The Potter’s Shed in Shell Lake, Wisconsin if you are in the area and ask for Denise. Thank you again Denise for all your help.

Come. Visit. This stop is a MUST on your way through or to Shell Lake, WI. Just off frontage road from highway 63. (Accommodating for a variety of gluten free dairy free beverages) Coffee, Ice cream, hot drinks, cold drinks, smoothies, bakery, stickers, Shell Lake shirts, sweatshirts & more! That's just in the cafe. The decor is rustic & creative all mixed together. Lots of seating for a variety of group sizes. (Ours was a party of 7). The outdoor patio is absolutely beautiful with 100 perfect spots for pictures. (As you can see from my own attached pictures). This business also has the pottery area, lovely & providing opportunities to learn a new craft! Yard decor for sale in the patio and a wonderful venue for bands & parties in the backyard. Check them out online (which I didn't) to see if they are hosting bands or events this summer. Would be worth it to attend an event here in the backyard!

They have a great selection of pottery, jewelry, wood crafts, & Glass items, and many other one of a kind things all from many different artist. They also have a area where you can do pottery and crafts. They also have a area where you can order food and sit in booths or tables to enjoy your meal. In the summer they offer an area with outside music certain days of the week with adult beverages and pizzas which we will be back for. The bathroom is very very clean. Would recommend stopping here.

The St Croix Casino is an incredible place to visit and stay at. You wouldn't expect it from a Wisconsin town but the place is large and incredibly popular. Two massive rooms full of games. Ranging from cards, to dice, to slots. They do take care to keep the place clean as well. Ate at the restaurant and recieved timely orders and good food. Watched a live event of Dirty Little Secret on a stage that performed an incredible production for the band. Would absolutely love to come back as soon as possible.

1. The cash machine near the main entrance double- charged me on a withdrawal on my debit card. After a month and 30+ phone calls, I had to file a claim with my bank. Got my money back the next day. Save your slip even if you don't get money!
2. Restaurant closed on Sundays. Ouch.
3. Most smokers are inconsiderate. Wish they would open a smoke free room...
4. Don't plan on getting rich there. LOL!

The night started out great, had a fun time, was enjoying some drinks and slots, had popped outside a few times to get some fresh air, last time I went back in I was stopped and asked for my ID which I gave to the gentleman without hesitation then was told I would have leave because I smelled of alcohol. I was not drunk, I did have a few in the span of 4.5 hours, but was not incapable of making smart decisions. This was my second time gambling and I was excited and having fun and they took that energy and the fact that of course I smelled like alcohol because that's kinda what you do at a casino, as a reason to deny entrance. I found this a bad experience and do not wish to go back any time soon, especially because this didn't just happen to me that night. I do wish things had gone differently due to the first half of the night being a very enjoyable time but being kicked out for no good reason has made my decision to not go back very easy.

I went to this casino and had a horrible experience. The waiters, staff, and security were nothing but rude during my time there. When I unwrapped my silver ware my fork was still dirty. I was parked in a parking spot and they made me move my car all the way back for what? 2/10 even the Building wasn’t the nicest, when I went to the bathroom the sink didn’t turn on and they were out of paper towels. Not going to be returning ever, do NOT recommend. What i would recommend is driving further distance for a better casino.

The bar supervisor was good to cut off my boyfriend from drinking anything further tonight. It was a fun two hours, I walked out with an extra $100 from what I brought in.
I don’t come to the casino expecting to win anything and always come with limited money I allow myself to spend, if you find the right machines. You can play off $20 for half an hour or so. I only spent $60 out of the $200 that I brought.
I didn’t eat at the concession but usually when I do the food is pretty decent. And when I’ve eaten at the restaurant before the food was very really delicious.

Friendly place, good food, games are pretty good. Cards and dealers are fun. The sports book area is awesome for an area but honestly it's the worst sports book I've ever witnessed. No live betting. No props. Limited parlays. The machines time out to much. Also I miss the self serve pop.

Place is nice and clean, they allow smoking inside, but you barely notice the smell unless someone is smoking next to you. Slots are slots several different denominations 1 cent to 1 dollar, the tables were nice and dealers will help you with rules if your new to it. I would go back again.

Very cool casino, I thought all the bells and whistles and lights were awesome. But I'm sorry, I had to leave almost right away because of the cigarette smoke. So my review is neutral, great place to smokey for me. I did not stay at the hotel. I was in the same location Saint Croix casino.

The employees really work hard to keep things clean around you. Always empting ash trays and picking up after people's trash. The staff at the TLC booth are always ready to answer your questions about promotions. I find the staff at the dining area are friendly and always willing to get whatever you need to make your dining experience enjoyable. I've seen first hand the care, concern and compassion shown toward guests that have collapsed because of a medical emergency. Overall my experience has been really really good. Especially some of the entertainment acts they book. World-class performers coming to turtle lake and their other casino locations. Definitely a huge economic boost for the tourism industry.

Went to place a bet @ the Book. Wanted to do it at the counter, rather than a kiosk to make sure I had done it right. Unfortunately it was not manned. I asked some of the staff when it might be, but no one knew. It would be nice if they had hours/days posted when the counter would be covered.

A few months back, we came with a larger group. Having a great time, excited to be there. A few people had started doing well at the craps table and we cheered them on. Apparently that is grounds for cutting people off who had just got done with their first drinks. When asked why we were being cut off, they responded with “visual cues”. Again, we had just ordered our first drinks. Even that was a struggle. Your staff is rude, disrespectful and not welcoming. Highly advise that if you have a group event, spending a good amount of money… go elsewhere. They treat you like garbage here.

We ate at the restaurant Saturday 9/10. My friend ordered the french dip sandwich and the server informed her that it comes as a half sandwich "because either I or another employee will eat the other half." She said no I'll be taking the entire sandwich and the server became obviously angry. Strangest dining experience of my life for sure. We followed that by losing $160 in 25 minutes on the slot machines. Enjoy it Turtle Lake.

Been here a few times when visiting family. Not sure what the actual payout percentage is, but slots seem a little tight. I've been going to TLC for almost 20 years. January 26th, 2024 we went and I took money from the ATM, apparently the ATMS were having network issues and while it took the money from my bank account, it did not dispense any funds. I flagged down an employee right away and while waiting for an ATM worker to come by, I was informed I was not the first person who this happened to. The ATM worker came over, shut down all ATMS in the casino as I was 'the 10th person' this happened to. Then he informed me that they can't give me my money but I need to call some 800 number of who owns the ATMS and they'd get a report issued and get my funds back. I called immediately while still in the casino. They advised me 3-5 business days to get my money back. It's now been just shy of one month and I have no money back. I dealt with the terrible (unaccredited) ATM company they use in the casinos, who said they issued it back on January 27th but I needed to wait the full 10 business days and then after the 10th day I was informed that they did all they could and now it was up to my bank to 'find the money' using some tracing number. I have called the ATM place, they do not return my calls. I have reached out to Turtle Lake Casino 3 times and no one has ever returned my calls. I filed disputes with my bank on February 9th but still...I'm out several hundred dollars and Turtle Lake Casino couldn't even be bothered to call me as they said they would. I might not spend big bucks here but I'm here 3-4 month and to not even get a call back is such a disappointment, I don't think I'll be visiting anymore.

We brought our 5 children (ages 6-15) for their first ever ski outing. They transitioned through a few stages of training in a matter of hours. By lunch each of them were on the chair lift-skiing down beginner hills. It is not every day parents can offer their children a memory they will never forget. A day at Christie Mountain provided that for our family. Helpful staff. Beautiful setting. Rentals & slopes in solid condition.

The ski school did a great job teaching my 7-year-old to ski. He was able to go down green circle trails with ease and even skied a couple of blue square trails by the end of the day. I was very happy with the results of the lesson and the staff who led them.

The ride to see the fall leaves was a disaster. The temps was 87 and real feel was 90. The sun was extremely hot and the sky was hazy. Even if we went up you probably wouldn't see much. Probably due to the Canadian wildfires. The one who collected the money for the tickets said the wait time was 30 minutes.
I waited in line for 45 mins and made it 40% through. It was already about 4 pm for closing time. Instead of collecting the tickets at the bottom of the lift they started to collect from the whole line. Probably so people couldn't get their refunds. That was suspicious.
The wait time for the line using some napkin math was about 1 hour and 30 minutes. That's not taking into account the time crawling your way up and down the chair lift.
At the bar they said the Fat Cow Barbecue ran out of food at the top of the hill. They also ran out of water bottles at the bar. Nobody said anything until I asked. The whole thing was poorly planned with no communication. We ended up leaving without a refund. We weren't going to wait after baking outside for almost an hour.
I would suggest the following. Do some simple napkin math and give people updated wait times. Plan to have more food and water available or just refuse to sell tickets. Be more transparent and let people know what's available before they buy tickets.

The family and I had a great time. There was a good variation of different runs to accommodate different levels of expertise. My kids and I are novices and there were runs that were easy for us. The kids had a lesson. Alvin the instructor did a great job teaching the kids and getting them use to being on the slope. Everyone that works there is friendly and they have a good concession area.
Cocktails & American grub served in a lakeside grill with an outdoor tiki bar & live music.
The front of the building is deceiving of what a great establishment this is. Go around the side to the outdoor bar. Food and drink served there too. And the dock for lake customers to pull up to enjoy the atmosphere too. Great food and drink selection. Our bartender/server, Scott, was very personable. I used to love this place. I come here with my dog and eat outside together. Beautiful lake side lot with benches and tables. I would order at the bar and bring the food out myself. Until recently I was turned down food service for whatever "new rule" because people dont clean up outside!?? Their own patio, 4pm, on a beautiful fall day, but no food. This is strange. This place either needs better management, service or new owners who are willing to accommodate everyone who is not a sheep regular. Not happy, going to give my business to caddy shack who has excellent customer service, every time.

Ordered a couple wraps on Saturday evening while out on the pontoon. Pulled in and found a a spot to dock. Place was hopping. Picked up food easily and were on our way. Hawaiian wrap was Deeeeelicious. The salsa in it was something I want more of. Always have liked the food. Will be back.

Good food, if you receive the correct order or your poor service (wrong order) is remedied.
I am a local and have tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, multiple times. Taste is great, but watch your receipts, they will over charge, sneak on extra charges, and it isn’t aligned with menu prices or the order you requested.
It’s too bad, the service sucks, because the food is genuinely tasty.

All you can eat Wednesday night wings are back, so it was time to revisit one of our favorite places for AYCE scrumptious wings. We arrived later than normal, after 7 & were not disappointed with our food. I had the 4 piece basket & hubby had AYCE both with the onion petals as our side. The wings are jumbo size & the basket was more than enough for me. Onion petals are always a must!
Like all service industries, the staff struggled to keep up with customers. Outside seating was packed with both eaters as well as people listening to music. We searched for our server for more wings & the bill. We will be back again, earlier in the evening next time.

Love the food at this restaurant and the activities they do there. Was a bit disappointed originally with a situation I had there; however the manager reached out and resolved it. That to me makes all the difference. The Owner/Manager reached out and explained what happened and resolved my issue. Highly recommend this place, not only for the food, entertainment and atmosphere, but also because they stand behind their word.

Gilligans is a tropical themed restaurant right on Lake Chetek. Pull in the parking lot by vehicle or the water by boat. Seating inside or out. Things for the kids to occupy their time until the food arrives. Great food and drinks (and thank you, Alexa, for the pleasant, attentive service!)

Surprised by how lovely of a place this was. Food was very average and slow. Drinks were reasonably priced. There is a touch tunes outside on the patio and inside the bar. Plenty of seating on the patio as well as inside. There is a fair amount of tap beer selection too.

Food is excellent although the portions are definitely on the small side. However, everything was fresh and very tasty. The service was absolutely horrible, very childish servers who were very rude. Wanted to come back to try some more of the menu but honestly probably won’t be back, those young girls definitely need to at least not roll their eyes in front of customers.

Food & drink always OK but there were 4 people in the bar one early afternoon. Us and one other couple. The other couple saw us from across the room and waved. Later we got up to leave we a left a tip PLUS an extra $10 on the bar and instructed the bartender to get them a birthday drink. She pointed at them and said......them? I said yes and we left. Weeks later (when the couple never acknowledged our kind gesture), I asked them what they chose for a birthday drink. They had no idea what I was talking about. The bartender pocketed our generous tip and the $10 birthday drink money. I guess it was my fault for being so trusting of the bartender.

Ordered 4 Gilly burgers. 2 we're totally wrong. They wanted American cheese not Swiss. Sent them back and they came back with No bacon and onions. Then they brought them the bacon and onions. Bacon undered cooked. Another person has prime rib and wasn't cooked way they wanted it. Did nothing to rectify the bill. Waitress said it was out their hands. No manager or owner around. We brought a group of 11 people charged a high tip gratity. Because we didn't call and reserve. They lost our business. We spent over $400 as a group

A warm sunny day at the lake spent listening to music in the Tiki area. It was a chill vibe but service was very slow and seemed to cater to regulars. After waiting for awhile, the bartender left to help another person in the middle of speaking to me and taking my order. The process of ordering food took forever, and about an hour for it to come out once we ordered. It wasn't overly busy but they seemed understaffed so I'll assume it's due to that. We ordered wing baskets with onion peels which were pretty tasty, so besides the wait and general off-putting experience with the staff, Gilligan's was just fine.
Small old farmer town, with Valkyrie at its heart. They have so many beers for such a tiny spot and what a variety they have! Let me talk to you about their prices as well... cheap, crazy cheap. I've never seen a micro brewery with such unheard of prices. The clientele were fun and outrageous, I was sad that I literally could only stop in and then leave. I will be back for their Oktoberfest though!
Banle Gaar — Google review
Great microbrewery that's been in operation for nearly 30 years. Husband and wife team who brew and serve up a wide variety of beers and cider. Her artwork is hanging throughout the establishment - some very nice pieces. Cribbage boards on the tables, relaxed atmosphere. Nice pint glasses to take home and bring back to refill. Will definitely return when in the area.

This is a small brewery. The staff is friendly, the variety has items you don't see frequently, and they have some niche beers. Come in, try a beer. If it isn't to your taste, don't worry. The beer is cheap, and they offer free samples! I highly recommend you take a few trips to just sit down, and enjoy the atmosphere

The ranger inside was very nice. She was feeding the critters they keep inside. There are 3 trails. 2 hours, 1 hour, and 15 minutes. We hiked 15 minutes because of the mosquitoes.
My wife and I did our wedding and reception here, and what can we say, but WOW! The place in gorgeous by itself and they did such a great job maintaining it and getting it extra special for our big day. Teresa (owner) was great to work with and able to meet with us and accommodate us well.
The wine is good, best part is they are pro at doing such big events, so trust their recommendations for the crowd-pleasers. All of our guests were extremely impressed with... well everything! 5/5 stars definitely, but with some tips:
Have the pavilion for a back-up in case of bad weather, account for wind it is nice and breezy on the hills there (feels good, but may be REALLY windy and knock-over your vases, haha), the crops rotate from corn and soy (we did a soy year and it was beautifully green, the corn really isn't our thing), there is a noise ordinance in the area so inquire about certain restrictions (the party may shutdown earlier than some may hope), other than that enjoy and let the place's magic take you away!!!

Lovely setting, bad experience.
I was a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding September of 2023. The winery is lovely and rustic, but I felt that the host went out of her way to be unaccommodating.
There was another wedding booked the same day, so we had to find another place to prep hair and make up.
We also scrambled to set up for the reception during the morning, then leave due to the other wedding ceremony taking place, then return to dress and assemble while the other wedding's guests were departing.
After dressing in the bridal suite we were allowed to use shortly before the ceremony, we were told that we were not allowed to leave any belongings in the suite. We brought our bags down to the tasting room. Following the ceremony, we were advised that we actually could not leave anything in the tasting room. We then had to throw our bags in a small cottage- super fun to shlep bags around in a floor length gown and heels multiple times.
Following the reception, tear down began and we were told we had to remove everything, trash included and be out of the venue by midnight. Then, she said we could leave trash for the morning as long as there was no food to attract critters.
I can empathize that running this business and maintaining the grounds is a huge undertaking, but the host's attitude and constant reprimanding was a bit of a dark cloud on an otherwise lovely day.
If you book a wedding here, just be aware that despite the fee, you are doing everything pretty much yourself. And read to think you leave belongings where they are not permitted.
Emily Reed — Google review
This venue was beautiful! A fairytale! Don’t get me wrong about that. Absolutely lovely location, but I would probably not utilize it in the future.
I was in a friend’s wedding and witnessed many nit picky rules when she worked with this venue. The earliest they will allow you to arrive is 10am (you pay extra for that, otherwise it’s not until 1pm), no set up or leaving items for set up the night before. This caused major crunch time for hair and makeup to happen in time for photos etc, before the ceremony.
They say that they use the morning to maintain the property, however there is a lot of overgrowth going down the steps to the ceremony site and one set of stairs is an accident waiting to happen - bricks and stones very uneven, broken and unsafe for heels or even flat shoes.
Next rule that made things a bit stressful was we had to have everything out of the bridal suite within 15 minutes once the ceremony was done AND they actually changed that the day of and said it had to be out before the ceremony. (What are you doing with this entire building that we have to get out of it so quickly? shouldn’t a bridal suite be a place to go get freshened up or get away from others if need be, to have some down time.) And the owner lives right on the site just a few feet away. Since they changed this the day of we rushed to get things out before the ceremony and they ended up kicking out our makeup girl very rudely during the ceremony.
When speaking with the owner she seemed nice enough the day of, but prior to, was very rude when the bride asked for suggestions relating to anything she may have experience seeing people do at weddings for the ceremony setup.
Lastly, she was very quick at getting tear down started. We didn’t need to be out until midnight and the wedding party did most of the tear down around 10:30 and folded up most of chairs (venues responsibility) ourselves. The owner grabbed items from the bridal shack (what you get for the rest of the night when kicked out of the suite) even though we were well on our way to grab them and still had a half an hour left.
You can tell that the property doesn’t have as much love put into it anymore like it did years ago when the winery was open. I hope someone that’s truly passionate about putting on weddings and events takes over this place in the future.

Absolutely beautiful place. I attended a wedding here, and there was just so much to like about it. If you were too hot in their tent, or needed a little space, plenty of areas for you to walk around in, and so much room for children to run and burn off energy. The bathrooms are adorable, as is the rest of the decor. Nice views, great accomodations.
1,300-acre park on the Chippewa & Fisher rivers, offering camping, fishing, boating & hiking trails.
This place was absolutely magical! We camped overnight the first weekend in October and the fall colors were amazing! Camping sites are spacious and the buildings are all kept in great condition. Highly recommend this State Park whether you are Camping or want to hike some awesome trails. They also double as Nordic Ski trails during the winter that seem like they would be nice if you are in to that as well.

A very beautiful state park with plenty of hiking trails, camping spots, beach, boat landing and ball fields. Personally I think this is a kayaker's dream spot as there are fantastic places to kayak all around the island including some smaller 'hidden' channels. Brunet Island State Park may be a bit out of the way and off the beaten path, but it's well worth the trip.

Spent a few days here in the non-electric (north) campground. Really nice to be so close to the water, and did a lot of kayaking around the little islands of the park and on the Chippewa River. There’s also a beach, electric sites, picnic and lodge area, hiking trails, etc. it’s really close to town so it’s possible to walk over and grab an ice cream or go to the brewery. Sites are really close together so there’s not much privacy but people keep to themselves mostly. Overall had a good time and feeling good to be sore from lots of paddling in the sun.

What a beautiful and relaxing location. Perfect campground for unwinding and recharging. Very quiet, no frills campground. Campsites are simple with only a fire pit, table and mostly dirt. Most border either a calm “lake” or the river. Great for families with easy access to Cornell and the Old Abe bike trail. Wonderful opportunity for kayak rental through the Friends group from the park office.

My wife and I take much pride traveling the state of Wisconsin camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, bird watching...you name it. We have been to MANY places in every corner of the state and have to say this place is a gem. If you like camping with Nature close by this place is a must we had owls, fox, and deer 30 yards from our site. Mushrooms growing everywhere and a number of edibles. The view was unreal with sunsets and ducks and herons in every nook. Kayacking was superb being able to tuck away all over. Even caught walleye, large and small mouth bass, perch, and northern. Bird watching here was quite amazing with all the different habitats letting us see anything from pleated and osprey to warblers and titmouse. Last but not least the camp host here are the nicest I've ever met ,wish they were my neighbors here at home.

One of the cleanest campgrounds I've been to. Everyone was kind, the views were incredible! The woman in the office was extremely helpful. Had great paths for little hikes as well. Restrooms in the north part of the campground were your typical pit toilets, but well kept. Mostly dog friendly aside from beach and picnic areas. There were plenty of spots for the pups to take a dip though.

Great little park for camping and fishing, this park isn't the largest in the world but it has a lot of areas near water and access points as well as lots of nooks and cranys for someone with a kayak or canoe to check out as well as numerous places to picnic and a area for larger events and a swim beach and a area for the kids. Also they have a few hiking trails to check out one of which I tried out that was 3/4 of a mile and was a pretty easy walk with the bridge being the hardest part of the walk.

I absolutely love this campground. Gorgeous site, well maintained park, super friendly DNR people and camp hosts. The shower house was well stocked with hot water and good water pressure. When you come make sure to bring your bike for the Old Abe Trail and bring or rent a kayak to enjoy the water. It is so quiet and restful at this place.

Lake Wissota has some amazing hiking, camping, swimming, biking, kayaking/canoeing, wildlife viewing and bird watching opportunities that are easily accessible to all because of the long main road that reaches through most of the park with lots of parking lots. Giving a 3 star because the hard to get to beach is a long walk and a big let down, dirty, lots of algae and full of rock with murky brown/green water. The oddly placed wood barriers and bridge around the beach are a hazard for children and elderly, you honestly have to climb over and jump down to get to the beach. If it was in order the park would be better for families. Im glad we checked it out before bringing the kids. Sure it has nice big facility at the beach, but no one is using them, they are empty and OUTDATED.
Not crazy about the fishing, went out multiple times for hours, morning and night and caught nothing.
The park staff was very polite.
The campsites do the job, some have lake views, there is lots of trails. The lake itself is pretty IF you can get on it with a boat or kayak.

A very nice state park within easy striking distance of the Twin Cities. Spacious, shaded camp sites with clean bathrooms and showers nearby. Interesting hiking and biking trails, a nice overlook to the water, small sandy beach for swimming (as well as other openings along the trail to hop in). Fireflies in the summer (at least while we were there). Extremely welcoming staff in the Ranger station. Camped in 2021 and 2022 and both times while connected to 30-amp service a vital electrical component in our RV got fried. Not cheap, and not fun. A beautiful state park but we will not be back.

Quiet, serene. My father recently passed and as a child he stomped these woods, which he held dear to his heart all his life. He passed this love on to his three girls. We were walking in his memory with our mother. Was a pleasant way to honor his life. And seemed perfect to ask in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the park to keep this sacred space maintained for future generations, such as his grandchildren and theirs.

My kids and I love this zoo. The animals are so active, clean exhibits, zoo associations constantly walking around and talking to people and just great information all around.
I especially love that they have the old machines that make the plastic animals on the spot. This is such a nostalgic thing for me and I’m so glad I can share this with my kids.
The outside of the grounds is beautiful walking in and all the exhibits are inside and close near by. This makes is so easy with little ones.

When I first came to the area to visit my boyfriend, he took me here! It was a surprise and now, every time we are in Chippewa, I ask him to take me to the park!
In the winter time, most of the animals aren't out... but in the summer you can see them all, plus some miniature horses, donkeys and even some goats (all of which you can actually pet and interact with).
A lot of these photos were taken in the spring, so around March/April, but I will post more once I go again and if the miniature horse and donkeys are out :)
If you're having a bad day, go visit some animals! You'll love it here.

This week was our first time visiting the area and visiting the zoo! It was lovely! We first did the drive-around park, back by the elk and buffalo, and then came back around to park and walk. We went inside the main building, where there is a little food shop, and saw some displays of items.from back in the old days. Then we walked the little zoo. It was a hot day, and we went right around 1pm, so most of the animals were inside. My son's favorite part was geesing pellets to the goats (25 cents for a small handful).
The greater park had playgrounds and picnic tables, perfect for a family day out.

Please update your website. Beautiful park that is absolutely free to the public and operates solely through private donations. Made quite a drive to get there and wasn't disappointed. Lots of room for activities, family get togethers, picnics etc. Playgrounds, benches, picnic tables, gazebos. Further back are the animals which you can observe while going on an extensive hike on the "loop" inside the park. Many of the animals were no longer inside their "homes" with no explanation as to why. Expect lots of people if visiting during the summer months. Further back in the park are secluded picnic areas, and waterfalls which we unfortunately didn't see but wish we would have. A historic handmade home, school and outbuildings can be seen further back deeper in the park. Ponds with geese, beautiful rock cliffs and old growth trees were some of our favorite sites. There is food for sale although it is rather pricey so if you're on a budget please keep that in mind. Overall, a wonderful & beautiful place to spend a warm sunny day with your family or even by yourself!

Monday, December 18, 2023, my dog, Buster, and I went to Irvine Park here in the rural town of Chippewa Falls Wisconsin. The park was decorated with a ton of Christmas lights and other Christmas stuff and temporarily named Christmas Village. It was awesome. Lots slowly drove through staying warm inside our vehicles like Buster and me. Others soaked up the enchanting experience walking around in the bitter cold. Well, we do that in Wisconsin. If you have kids or you are a kid at heart this is the best place in the world to enjoy Christmas. We just missed their special event where they had live actors. But to me, this Christmas Village was so exciting especially watching my dog Buster. He sat upfront and often hung himself halfway out the car window bebobing his head from side to side to enjoy all the sights and the people strolling through. I took a short video but you need to experience this yourself to understand.

Always an amazing time! I decided to visit during the winter, which meant taking a walk along the loop. It was absolutely worth it, even with a limited number of animals on display due to the freezing cold. The calm and content animals residing in their enclosures were very humbling to observe. Despite lacking a degree, I noticed how relaxed they all appeared. Being so close to these magnificent creatures was a truly unforgettable experience.

Irvine Park is a great zoo and the park are such unique spaces! My only suggestion would be to have more information on the website about the zoo. We didn't know it was free or the style of the space until we read reviews and saw for ourselves. Hopefully this will help others:
The Zoo is completely free, but donations are suggested. They have a nice smaller selection of animals (some common and some uncommon) and there are plenty of opportunities to take some wonderful photos! It doesn't take long to go through the first section - maybe 30-45 minutes, but another maybe 30-45 minutes if you take your time and see the rest. The park has a continuous road all the way around the zoo and park, so make sure you hop in the car and follow the path past the buffalo if you'd like to see all the animals!
The Park is gorgeous! Also free and it's beautifully maintained while staying wild. Great for walking, biking, kayaking, etc. There are picnic areas and a huge playground with plenty of room for everyone. There's also a pond with a fun spitting turtle fountain and a a little gazebo on the water. There are some wild waterfowl to watch and ducklings out and about. Very relaxing!
There is also a Visitor's Center, but they were closed when we went both days. I can't speak for anything about what they have since we missed them, but there is an Olson's Ice Cream sign outside with concession stand.
The Irvine Zoo and Park close at dusk, so it's a great way to spend the day! So absolutely worth visiting!
Wonderful tour! Ethan was fantastic! You could tell he loves his job. He thrived on the history and enjoyed taking questions! We very much enjoyed our tasting. The Chocolate Dunkel is fabulous!

#1 Tour. A MUST do! We had a wonderful day visiting the Leinenkugel Brewing Company. My husband and I did the Legacy Tour and Pilot Brewery Tour. Both tours were so awesome! It was so neat to see inside brewery on the Legacy Tour! Our tour guide Cindy was so knowledgeable and funny! We enjoyed a flight of beers before going on our next tour of the Pilot Brewery. It was fun seeing the small batches being made and talking with Matt Leinenkugel. We would highly recommend doing both tours to everyone!

Fantastic experience taking a tour. So much history and a really good walk through of the process. Thanks for making the trip worth it!

We did a brewery tour and our tour guide was absolutely amazing. Cade was extremely knowledgeable and made our tour an absolute blast. Afterwords he stopped by our table and answered even more of our questions. We were there for my birthday and I can honestly say this is a must see if you are passing by!
Also… Mix and match your beers!

A great place to visit for a tou, a flight or just a beer. Did a tour and very informative and personal. Thanks Shelby. The gift shop has something for everyone. Beers on tap are great and different from what is in my beer store. Spent about 2 hours here and had a great time.

Fun touristy spot. Exclusive flavors, merchandise for days, polite staff, and brewery tours. Book tours in advance as they sell out.
Only complaints would be the small parking lot, smaller bathrooms, and the lack of wasp control in the outdoor patio.
Would probably go again, but maybe not on the weekends.

Wonderful tour! Nancy was our tour guide, and she was fantastic. She only works on Saturdays, but I highly recommend asking to be on her tour. The only bad part about touring on a Saturday is that the factory is not in operating, but I don't think that really took away from our experience. We would definitely come back. The 5oz sample tickets are a great way to taste different beers in the lodge you might not normally try. For around $15 a person for the tour and 4, 5oz beers, I thought it was definitely worth it!

Just happened to stop for gas and saw a sign on the way into town, decided to take a road break and stopped in for the tour.
Informative, guide was great, didn't just throw a bunch of facts at ya, even let one of the guests lead the tour for a minute with some information they knew...then the samples !! Very Nice ! great gift shop, lots to choose from, would love to go back when they have the food trucks !

Super fun brewery to check out. It’s a must do in Chippewa Falls. Lots of areas to order beer inside. Tons of souvenirs and clothing options. Indoor and outdoor seating. Limited food, they did have a food truck parked outside to order from. Parking lot and free on street parking available.

Stopped in early on Saturday. The bar was empty, but the beer was tasty. Clothing is a bit expensive but fun to browse.

Touristy destination brewery, but they fully embrace it. All of their beers on tap is nice, but the 50/50 mixes they have are the real attraction. A lot of them combine the sweetness of their shandies with darker beers which works incredibly well. We got a 50/50 pint and 2 small pours for $10 which was a welcomed price tag compared to west & east coast breweries.
They offer brewery tours and merch if that's your thing. As far as destination breweries go, it's done well.

A must stop for all beer fans and even non-beer fans. Historic brewery with incredible welcome center featuring fantastic servers/bartenders. Employees really seem to enjoy working there. Almost 1 dozen beer styles on tap, including new releases. Tours are fun and well paced. Outside grounds are well maintained.

We took a tour of the brewery. Our guide, Shelby, was amazing and super knowledgeable. Beer was amazing and ice cold, awesome for a warm day. $15.00 well spent on an awesome experience and with (4) 5 ounce tasters included.
Carson Park is a peaceful and picturesque park that boasts a historic baseball stadium, a charming kiddie train ride, and an interesting local museum. It also features beautiful trails that offer scenic views of the river and a large playground with numerous engaging activities for kids. The park has plenty of benches, pavilions, and trees that create a warm atmosphere perfect for short walks or spending time with family.
The trails are very nice, one area overlooks the river. The playground is big and has plenty of activities for kids. There is also a large field with a few pavilions scattered through, lots of benches, and several trees that make the park feel really cozy.
This is a spot i like to go for short walks and to take my kids to play.

Beautiful park to drive through and or bike / walk through.. Great location on having a grill out and or having a picnic of whatever you decide to bring along.!
Many beautiful spots to pullover to sit as you enjoy the beauty of mother nature as you read a good book. Plenty of outside benches throughout the park to also sit at... Overall it's just a beautiful place to relax at as you get your mind off from the stress of life...! 🌳🌳🌳

We love going to Carson park! There is so much to do there. Sunday afternoons during the summer we love the train rides! Cooler summer days we love the playground! It’s great fun for my 2 and 3 year old. We’ve also loved fishing at half moon lake.

Very nice park that has been around for a long time. It has a number of baseball and softball fields as well as walking or biking paths and roads to drive on. It is very scenic with little Half Moon Lake and the Eau Claire river close by.

Went down to Carson on a warm October Sunday while the leaves were at their most vibrant stage. I went to lay in a hammock to catch up on some things for work and it was very relaxing .It was nice to so so many people our walking the trails, jogging, kayaking, fishing, celebrating with family and friends or just sitting and enjoying their lunch.

This park has more stuff than I could possibly list: museum, baseball park, railroad track, lake, and the list goes on and on.
Days of fun to be had here and easy to access on foot, bike, or by car. As long as there ain’t some major event you’ll always find adequate parking.

There is lots to do here, many options for different developmental stages and inclusivity. My kids really like the story walk that the library has here too. The only problem with this park is that it is pretty large so it can be hard to keep track of kids since it tends to be busy here. Also, be aware that if it's a really sunny day the play ground can get super hot because of the black crumb rubber on part of the play ground.

Definitely among my top 3 favorite city parks that I've ever been to. While the open areas and kids' playground section are quite nice, what I like most about Carson Park is that there's also a ton of lakeside pathways and patches of woods to explore! And let's not forget about all of the wildlife as well!

Excellent park! Sadly, it took the parks department a very long time to open up the main road, so people couldn’t enjoy the entire park until 100% of the snow was melted, when they easily could’ve made one pass with a plow and opened up the road weeks earlier. Additionally, a majority of the trash bins, and porta potties are in the middle of the park, which makes it incredibly inconvenient for dog owners who pick up their dogs droppings and carry transport them to the nearest trash can. Litter is a problem at Carson Park, I’ve picked up several bags this spring, but feel that it’s the fault of the city for poor distribution of trash cans. Very important to consider the visitors’ experience rather than the ease and convenience of city workers (I’ve worked for a public works park department and it would maybe take one person an hour to change bags once a week). Great park overall.

Great place to have a picnic or to go for a bike ride or a walk. They have a couple play grounds for kids to play on and multiple different spots for fishing. There is also a couple places around where you can go kayaking. The eau claire baseball stadium is also here, they have many games during spring and they are quite cheap to get into. Overall I would highly reccomend going here for a good time. 👍

Women come to the park dressed to impress when it's cold while there kids don't wear jackets hats or gloves. Seen a little girl playing outside with no jacket, hat, or socks or shoes and she was like two. While her mom wore timberlands had on a nice jacket hat and gloves. Made me feel so bad for that kid

Eau Claire is very lucky to have such a beautiful and historic venue to watch a baseball game at. Personally I enjoy the Fan Deck and its all you can eat features. But no matter where you sit it's like a time machine for baseball lovers.

Carson Park is one of my favorite parks to visit, especially in the fall. They're such beautiful scenery and wonderfully maintained walking trails and park grounds. Take a little visit today. It's worth it. Take a break out of your day and smell the fresh air and enjoy nature at its finest. One of Eau Claire's treasures, and it's so easy to get to. There's also opportunities to enjoy Moon Lake as well. It will definitely add a positive to your day!

Cute park , big playground . Not much for little -little kids geared mostly for kinder and above . We went on a Sunday late afternoon it was busy but the kids got to experience the whole thing . Beautiful scenery and trails .
The Children's Museum of Eau Claire is an excellent place for families to visit and have fun together. The museum offers educational and interactive exhibits that are perfect for children, as well as play spaces designed specifically for toddlers. In addition, there are plenty of art activities available to keep everyone entertained. The admission price is reasonable, making it accessible to families on a budget. Visitors can watch their children's imaginations run wild while exploring the exhibits and playing in the various areas provided for them.
Fun for the whole family! This is a fantastic children's museum and a great price. My 4 year old and 2 year old could spend all day playing in the exhibits. We enjoyed watching them let their imaginations run wild. One of the best children's museums I've been too. My little ones were all tired out by the time we left. They also have and arts and crafts section in the lower level were little ones can color and paint. I found myself amazed with the electrical and plumbing exhibit. So much fun! Definitely take your kids!

We had a lot of fun here! It was clean and workers walked around kicked up trash, put toys back the entire time we were there. As some others stated they could add a few more accessories with some of the stations however it didn’t stop my kids from playing here for 4 hours!
Will definitely return.

Although it says "museum", this place is more like an itty bitty city for kids and kids at heart. It was voted THE Best Of The Chippewa Valley Volume One Reader Poll 2019.They provide a safe, educational place for children and their parents to explore, imagine, play, learn, and grow. The place has 3 floors with different exhibit areas - some are permanent, some are not. The main floor is where kids can put on a stage performance or do role plays in the mini community. Kids 3 years old and younger can explore the Toddler Park, a decent size area where they can crawl and play safely. There's also a Reading Corner with plenty of reading materials and Body Smarts where little kids can climb in, crawl and slide down.
Things that you should probably know:
1. This place is close for 2 weeks maintenance and cleaning in the month of September - so if you want to book a birthday party, you might want to contact them in advance for your options.
2. You can download their activities for the month to view their upcoming events. You can also go to their website and check Parent Hub for things you need to know.
3. They have one time passes and annual memberships.
4. You can bring your food inside and eat on the third floor, just don't bring peanuts or peanut butter as some kids are allergic to nuts.
5. It is a good idea to bring extra clothes for kids in case they get too wet playing with water in the basement.
So you might ask, why only 4 stars?
I give this place 4 stars because it hasn't changed much over the years. Some of the stuff are not being utilized or broken - like we were never able to try the recording room. The mystery log has 3 out of 5 slots empty. The John Deere tractor's steering wheel is also broken. The grocery store and grub could use new stock of items. I wish they have more interactive activities as well. Overall, it is a great place for kids to burn their energy doing what they do best - which is play.

The Childrens Museum was such a blast for both of children. They are ages one and four and it was non stop fun for both of them. We bought a year pass and have already gone multiple times. They have multiple floors with different types of activies for varying ages on each floor. We will definitely be buying another year pass next year. Great fun for kids when its not great to be outside.

Lots of things to do for ages three and up. A little more limited for the toddler set. Plenty of play and educational activities and lots of space to run. Still easy to keep an eye on your kids with most activities being within line of sight.
Note:. First time Mom's can get a free membership for the first year if your child is under the age of one. Nice introduction to membership!

So much to explore! If you have been to the Betty Brinn in Milwaukee, this place is somewhat like that but they have a very fun, very interactive water table. We had 2 hours but our son ended up spending all of it with water. He got soaked so prepare some dry clothes to change into! They do have raincoats but if your child is as water-loving as our boy, you'll need a change of clothes!
Also, pics are the only times he wasn't with water! Can't risk getting phone wet!

We love coming here. So many things to do and see. Even as an adult I love coming to the museum! Last time we went a lot of the things didn't work like the lights in the brain, the bank tubes and a few other things but I'm sure the kids get ahold of them and break it. Otherwise it's a nice place to come and somewhere to tire the kids out!

The overall place is very clean and looks beautiful. My kiddo enjoys spending a good couple hours there.
Only gripe is some of the details and maintenance - the life-sized "Operation" is missing most of the inserts, a button-operated game did not work....little stuff like that - normal wear and tear that should get fixed.
Overall, though....it is a clean, safe, engaging, fun time.

We had such a great time in the new children musem. There was a lot to do for children and adults. We got to experience being a beekeepers, farmers, mechanics, paleontologists, firefighter and what its like to be vet! There is also camping, house, an exercise area, brain and digestive system. I like how they also had a cool down room for some who get over stimulated. We will definitely be returning. Oh, by the way they also have an outside area!

Great place for children to get their wiggles out. There are a lot of different areas of play and imagination for children to play with and even involve their adults! We have a yearly membership, and it's definitely worth it!
Chaos Water Park is an indoor aquatic playground that features a meandering lazy river, various water slides, and other exciting aquatic activities. Adjacent to the water park is Action City, a massive arcade with trampoline parks and ninja warrior courses. The venue offers plenty of entertainment options for all ages, including a maze course for younger children. Although enjoyable, visitors may find themselves spending significant amounts of money. It is advisable to arrive early on Saturdays to secure seating as tables fill up quickly.
Kids always have fun, adults can relax, there's something for almost anyone, & while it's crowded, we all have a great time! The only concern is those allergic to chlorine, it's heavy concentration in the steamy pool area this time of year. Perfectly safe for those without allergies ❤️

Kids had fun! We just came for the afternoon/evening swim. Seemed a bit pricey for the shorter time frame at $37.50 per person. I can understand that price for an entire day, but for the evening seems a bit stiff.
Not much change since the last time we came 6-7 years ago. Some of the water areas are starting to show their age.
Older Kids liked the slides & Lilly pads, little kids liked the water bucket and water playground!
The chlorine smell at the top of the big slides was strong and made the kids cough. Could use some better ventilation.
Overall we had fun and staff was fairly friendly!

Great place for kids... (nothing for adults) except the extra cost to allow them to experience the whole amount of activities which becomes seriously expensive. whether u book a room or not!
Yes, free access to the.(small) water park) if u book a room!
Yes, all staff were VERY PLEASANT and accommodating!
My only advice to future clientel...is to make sure u have PLENTY of money to fork out per child!!

Basically this contains a kiddie splash area, a lazy river, and 2 water slides. Overall it felt unhygienic in the locker rooms and stifling hot. Everything is so loud, you can’t hear yourself think or talk to your kids. Pluses: staff is nice, they serve beer.

We spent $147 for 4 adults and 2 kids under 2, and then more if you want to eat while you’re there of course. This would have been fine if the waterpark had more to offer but we got bored after an hour due to there not being much to do for the little ones. The kids did enjoy the little waterslide and the water was very warm compared to some places you go making it enjoyable. Truly though, the place is disgusting. The water table has slime on it, the tables and chairs have slime on them, the locker rooms are absolutely unexceptable. Wet towels and garbage scattered around, feces on the stalls and toilet seats, wet toilet paper, the smell is atrocious. We went on a Sunday afternoon so it wasn’t very busy but would recommend just going to the other side where the arcade and jump park is, way more fun!

It's okay, no real comfort in the rooms. Gray walls and no art and very cheap beds. The water park and arcade were fun for the kids, but the restaurant food wasn't to our liking. Very friendly staff, so that was nice.

This is our second time and it was even better this time. You see people from all.over which can be a shock to some, but we didn't have much incident. Most people were friendly and nice. The staff, was incredible to us. We were a large group and we stayed a couple of days and I felt the customer service was nice. The young peole really seemed like they wanted to work and not just hang out and ignore you. We had a problem with our all day jumping pass and they were quick to work it out for us. The young lady with the fancy spiky hair was so incredible to us. Also the gentleman running the go-karts. They were interactive and quick with problems with the spin outs. There was a gentleman with curly hair and glasses, I think, that helped us tremendously at the lazer tag. He made sure we could all go as a family. We had a blast. We were able to enjoy ourselves in a decent suite and bunkbed rooms and they were clean and neat. The outside of the suite was incredible. All we had to do is pull the car to the back and unload and upload. That was amazing. The only thing I didnt know is that pets are allowed. We have 2 people allergic to dogs and some dogs were huge. The check in was a little late. Not till 4pm, but at least we could swim. We didn't have any problems. Swim area was great and lifeguards very careful and helpful. We are already planning next years trip if we can wait.

It's so sad and disappointing how expensive this place is.
I took off of work 2 months ago to take my water loving baby here for her first time for toddler swim.
I took off to go for MY Birthday Because I love seeing my baby happy.
Only to find out it's the only day they aren't doing toddler swim.
How is $35 affordable to just sit in the baby area?
I've been looking forward to this day for so so long.

Our stay at the attached hotel included passes to the water park so we spent an afternoon in the whirlpool hot tub here to relax. It was not crowded so we only had occasional interruptions from cannonballing small children, who are not technically allowed to be in the hot tub unsupervised.
The signage is amusing, so be sure to read all the rules.
There is a locker room/ bathroom for those not staying at the motel.
Food is kid oriented with pizza, chips and candy as the main fare. We didn't order anything.
The drinks were expensive and mostly limited to what comes in a can because glass is not allowed near the pool. The offerings included a couple beers, hard lemonade, hard iced tea, and hard seltzer all at $10/can.
The room rental came with up to six guest passes to Chaos water park, which can still be used the following day after you check out. We spent the afternoon enjoying the larger whirlpool hot tub which was pretty good except too far from the bar.. I got out a few times to cool off in the lazy river. Luckily it was not crowded the day we were there.
They offer a seasonal pass although I didn't check the details. There were several kids' birthday parties going on and cabanas which could be reserved for parties, and one large separate room that could be reserved.

I really enjoyed this waterpark! It is located inside the Metropolis Hotel in Eau Claire. It's a great waterpark to go to throughout the year since it's located inside. It is perfect for young kids and has several different areas for different ages. It has a smaller play area for the younger kids, a lazy river, a bigger/slightly deeper area for the older kids with a basketball hoop and 2 slides for the bigger kids/adults. It also has tables and chairs everywhere so there's always a place to sit and set your stuff down. There is also a place called Monkey in the Middle Express (pizza) that's located inside the waterpark area so you don't have to leave to get food or drinks if you don't want to. Very pleased with our stay and can't wait to go back and enjoy this waterpark again with our kids!!
