Fantastic venue with stunning views inside and out! We absolutely love working at this gorgeous venue and its excellent staff. Thank you so much to the staff and our wonderful clients for having us capture such beautiful pictures at the Grand Island Mansion.

We went for Sunday Brunch! The food was amazing, best buffet we have ever been too. Staff were very attentive making sure we had plenty of coffee and Mimosas. Grounds were absolutely beautiful. Would highly recommend!!
Heidi Oestreich — Google review
Our 1st time here and it was for the Easter Brunch. The exterior grounds are very warm and inviting as we walked from the parking area. The hostess greeted us at the front door to the mansion. She offered my wife and I a drink of white Zinfandel and juice. Excellent. She seated us at our table in a very beautiful dining area . Our table was a quiet romantic spot off to the side and close to a fountain.
We were greeted by a team of 2 fantastic servers. They were very helpful in explaining the setup for food, and general information about the mansion itself. We were then offered Mimosas and shown the way to the buffet.
The buffet contained a good variety of food choices. All that we tried were excellent. The fresh greens for salad, a pear dressing, 2 choices of bread. Next were the cubed beets, asparagus with carrots, mushroom crepes, ham, salmon and prime rib with au jus and horseradish.
We both went for a second but less food trip since the dessert table glares at you when you first enter the food area. We of course had some dessert and coffee to top things off

We went for Thanksgiving and it was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀. The Sunday Buffet is also so so delicious. The level of preparation, dedication, and commitment to excellence is evident in everything they do here. The estate is impeccable. The staff are hands down the best! The food is magnificent. From the sides to the main courses and the desserts. Everything is prepared on the highest level. Absolutely amazing! Also say hello to Chef David he is so a good person and is so dedicated. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A very enjoyable experience. They opened up 3 bedrooms for us to explore. They were very nice! Food was good. A bit pricey, but I think it's worth it to go to a mansion to eat brunch. You don't pay for parking, and the drive to the mansion is very scenic.
It is a buffet, and the menu doesn't change except for Thanksgiving and Xmas. I will definitely go again. The experience is enhanced if you go with friends and dress up really nice.
My cousin was pounding down the mimosas. I love pasta, and this pasta was one of the best I ever had. The pear salad dressing was very good! I didn't care for the dessert though, and I wish they could do better. Their cakes were dry, especially the white one.

Food was great. Beautiful venue for weddings. Make sure you make a reservation on the website, otherwise you're not eating bunch (no walk ins)

Came for Thanksgiving brunch and as always great service. Matt and Debbie were our attendants and always made sure we were taken care of. The food was cooked amazing and everything was so fresh. I do always think they are missing an opportunity by not having the espresso machine up and running in the basement or even the bowling alley while people are on the premises.

Such a dreamy venue, so happy i was able to be apart of this monumental event! Can’t wait to be back here. The team is amazing and so helpful 💓

Grand Island was a lovely place for Father's Day Brunch. Roast Beef was superb. Excellent desserts. A couple of minor details seem to have been overlooked. The dinner rolls were cold. Although they were very tasty, they could have been so much better, if they had but been warm. For a place working toward elegance, serving butter in foil wrapped bits seem a little off. Ambiance was wonderful. Service was faultless. Mimosas were terrific. The champagne was excellent. All at a quite affordable price. What's not to like? Well worth the trip to the country.

If I could give a thousand stars I would! My daughter was married on 05/06/23 and it was the most beautiful, elegant, and superior service hands down! The staff was absolutely incredible and so professional. We did not have to want for anything because everything was handled. This is an amazing venue with awesome staff and service. WOW!!! Forever grateful.❤️

Such a wonderful Sunday buffet! The grounds are captivating, and draw you in as soon as you get there. Enter into the beautiful lobby, where you’re escorted to the perfectly set table. The food was outstanding. The servers were very attentive and brought fresh silverware each time we visited the buffet.
Great place to visit and take a tour of the building afterward.

Loved this venue! This spot has so many good opportunities for portraits and also is an incredible backdrop for just organic and candid photography as well. It has a lot of variety and gives you ample options to help with some flexibility throughout the day. Can't wait to shoot here again!

Research library & museum featuring historic & vintage cars in sprawling, contemporary digs.
My two favorite type of museums, a natural history museum and cars all in one!!!! Great great collection of both. Never heard of this museum before, just found it by chance while looking up museums in the City. Skip the City traffic and comes to beautiful CA rolling hills which is where this hidden gem is located.
Marisa — Google review
Absolutely amazing! My kid loved it so much. He especially likes the Ancient China exhibit. It is unique and can barely be found anywhere else. The demo of the Forbidden City is so eye catching and impactful. Love there.
We spent 3 hours there. I hope we could have more time since there is so much fun to explore.
Zhongqi Li — Google review
The museum is great. We liked the car exhibition very much. And younger children adored animals and fish. I have photos only of the car one. Highly recommend this place, good day with a family.
Oleksandra Akinsheva — Google review
Wonderful place! The vintage cars are a treat to watch! Kids will enjoy the animal world too. You will enjoy more if you are history buff, especially in the Wild West section where they detail American history.
Tickets are also nominally priced. Adults pay $15 and kids go free! All in all, a nice place to spend time on a weekend with family!
Pavan Manjunath — Google review
This place never disappoints. We were pleasantly surprised with the new wildlife area. Not sure when it opened but it was new to us. So many different things to explore here that I did not get pictures of. I really enjoyed the little display of old makeup compacts as well.
Natasha Mccaslin — Google review
This place is really cool with many different artifacts and vehicles from all over the world. They have a very cool western and animal exhibit.
Greyson C — Google review
Very elegant picture and exhibitation in the "into China", "the world of nature" and the "Spirit of the old west world". You cannot tell those arts are real or fake. The museum is not crowded at weekend. It is a great place for older people and young kids to learn the history and culture from the other side of the world. Thanks to the creator of the museum.
Liang Tang — Google review
A great place to go during a rainy day. I took my family here for the first time and I was thinking about springing for a family membership but the animal part was scary for the kids. Not to say that it wasn't great or beautiful because it truly was! But they just weren't comfortable due to it, I think it being so dark. But the kids are free and the adults were $15 a piece.
Vanessa C — Google review
this is a wonderful place for all car enthusiasts. auto exposure is gorgeous . other expositions are also worth a visit: the history of western exploration, see Chinese terracotta warriors 👌💪 take your children with you, they will like it
Vladimir Mashukov — Google review
Best of its kind collection of vintage cars. Should not miss visiting if you are visiting bay area. Also the section displaying African and Chinese culture/history is amazing. Visiting from India with passion for cars it was a quality time spent on Sunday.
Pranay Mehta — Google review
Pretty great museum! I can’t believe they have so many exhibits. From vintage cars to wild animals. From western cowboy to Indian. They also have a big “into China” room. A great place for all years of kids. Will come again soon.
Yoyo Yo — Google review
Absolutely a hidden gem of a museum! Not just a showcase of antique cars, but has a terrific area showcasing fish, animals, birds, butterflies, & moths from all over our planet in displays showcasing their natural habitat. Plus additional rooms showcasing African art, and Chinese works of art. They have an upstairs exhibit too, but it was too close to closing to find out what was up there. You have to visit this museum to experience it for yourselves. We went on a Friday afternoon (closes at 5pm). Check for what days this museum is open before going.
J. R. — Google review
This museum is amazing! It has so many beautiful and valuable items. Not only super cars, but also historical items and great demonstrations. This museum is great for family and kids. We really learned a lot from it. Strongly recommend this museum to everyone!
Rui Ding — Google review
The museum is great, it has a great collection of cars, art from Africa, spirit of the old west, into China, world of nature, if you want to tour the entire museum go early because there is a lot to see.
Klever Benavides — Google review
Awesome museum, lots of stuff to see and learn about! The car collection was hands down one of the best parts of this visit. I was surprised with how big it was and how eye-catching some things were. I would definitely recommend this museum. The car collection & the China exhibit were hands down my favorite parts of this visit.
Michelle Chesmore — Google review
Loved the cars, Interesting artefacts of African art and the old west, as well as some good bits of Chinese history
Shilov Mani — Google review
This is one of a kind museum and a must visit! They have an amazing collection of cars, a wildlife exhibit unlike I’ve seen elsewhere with a huge variety of animal exhibits up close, a massive and awesome section on America’s history of the West, and dedicated galleries on China and Africa.
San Francisco Premium Outlets is an outdoor shopping center located off CA-84 Exit 51. The mall boasts a wide selection of designer and brand-name clothing, shoes, accessories, and housewares from over 175 popular brands. Despite the occasional long lines due to short staffing at some stores, shoppers can expect to have a great time exploring the different shops in the mall. Visitors are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes as this is a big outside mall with plenty of ground to cover.
Spacious outlet with so many brands which mostly have sizable stores and wide collections.
The amenities are fairly good.
Plenty of good deals especially if you’re VIP member.
Easy to navigate through and plenty of parking.
Yousef A. Almubarak — Google review
One of the great places for shopaholics to come to San Francisco. We spent 3 hours here but still feel it is not enough. There are stores with items selling extremely attractive prices. But there are also famous brands that you queue to be served. Great shopping experience in a fun space. You can find here very delicious, tasty, and reasonably priced dishes.
Lee — Google review
San Francisco Premium Outlets in Livermore, CA is an absolute dream for those who love big brands at outlet prices.
This place is a shopper's paradise! The selection of stores is incredible, with all the major brands you could ever desire. From high-end luxury labels to popular household names, you'll find it all here.
The quality of the merchandise is top-notch, and you can trust that you're getting authentic products. The layout of the outlets is well-organized, making it easy to navigate from one store to another. The parking facilities are ample, and I never had trouble finding a spot, even during peak hours.
San Francisco Premium Outlets has an impressive range of stores to choose from. Whether you're looking for fashion, accessories, footwear, or home goods, you'll find plenty of options to suit your taste. In summary, if you're a bargain hunter or simply enjoy shopping for big brands, San Francisco Premium Outlets is a must-visit destination.
Tung Ho — Google review
Had a great time going in and out of the different stores. This is and outside mall and the temperature was about 42 degrees so my jacket and face mask worked OK. Some of the shops had lines that you had to to wait in before being allowed in because the shops were short staffed. This is a BIG Outside mall so wear good walking shoes and be prepared to wait outside at some of the shops. Security wise I felt safe while walking around and enjoyed the sales that were going on. Am looking forward to going back there soon.
Robert Rendon — Google review
Really a great place with lots of factory outlets. They have very good deals most of the time. They have decent parking spots so on regular days it is not too hard to find parking spots. It really gets crowded on special occasions so plan accordingly for those. Overall my experience was great in this place. You can bring your friends and family and have a super awesome shopping experience. They also have a play structure outside the mall. They also have lots of great options for dining, drinking etc.
Rajeev Kumar — Google review
San Francisco Premium Outlets hosts some famous brands in Fashion, Apparel, Cosmetics, Home Stores, Eye Wear, Footwear, Gift Shops etc, such as Old Navy, H&M, Adidas, GUESS, GAP, Calvin Klein, Forever 21, Banana Republic, Aeropostale and more. We visit regularly and find more outlets being added every time. Cafes for a meal are such as Villa Italian Kitchen, Green Leaf's & Bananas as some have moved out. Parking is large, but it is still crowded on weekends or holidays.
V Ganapathy Subramanian — Google review
This is absolutely my favorite place to go shopping.
I really like how you have all of the department stores all in one place, but what I really love is that you get to be outdoors enjoying the sunshine while having an espresso coffee.
It’s one of those places where you see people from all over, and of course don’t forget the beautiful dogs with shoes and hats.
Alejandro Garcia — Google review
It has Starbucks, restrooms, Gucci and Armani just to name a few. A playground and water fountains. Not to mention the great outdoors with palm trees everywhere. Come on down and enjoy.
Obaid Mohammadi — Google review
Right off CA-84 Exit 51, impressive outlet featuring at least a hundred and seventy-five popular shoe, apparel & houseware brands.
B Thomas — Google review
One stop shop for premium brands. Parking space will be tight during weekends. The connecting passages to shops are open to sky. Therefore if you are visiting during peak summer/ winter/ monsoon, take appropriate precautions.

A Shopper's Paradise: An Unforgettable Experience. I recently had the pleasure of visiting San Francisco Premium Outlet and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped foot there, I was captivated by the area’s vibrant atmosphere and extensive range of stores. There were diverse range of stores, well-designed layout, variety of dining options. I highly recommend visiting San Francisco premium outlets to anyone seeking an unforgettable shopping experience.
Ayesha A. Sahi — Google review
First of all, the total area is very large and there are many brands in the store, so it was fun to see and buy. It was the last weekend before the Christmas holiday, so there were a lot of people, and there were a lot of vehicles trying to enter from the moment they came out of the highway. In front of the popular brand store, you had to wait in line, and even though you were calculating, you had to wait in line, so you had to leave the items you wanted and turn around. You have to go in the morning to park, otherwise it's hard to find a parking space. At that time, it might be a way to do valet parking. It's $15.0.
Kai Dwd — Google review
Shops are not under one roof - on rainy days you get wet walking from store to store.
No free wifi and a small food court added to my disappointment.
Thomas — Google review
Do you like to shop? Do you like to shop all day? You're going to need a full day to visit over 180 outlet stores. There is a wide range of name brand items at discount prices. The mall has an upscale feel with spacious walkways and plenty of natural light. The selection of stores is impressive, with everything from fashion to home goods to electronics. If you want name brands without the price, this is the perfect place to shop. This is a great date spot. Peruse the stores while getting to know each other better. If you need a break from shopping, there's a food court to grab some lunch or a freshing beverage. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY

I have been to many outlets around the world; this one, indeed, is a real deal. Most of the brands are giving really good prices. Also, many brands can be found here.
The place is big, yet organized and clean.
The only con is the limited number of coffee shops and restaurants.
akram alfliow — Google review
This outlet store has a couple shops and it is worth going to. They give big discounts to branded shops and also has their cafeteria like popeyes and etc. Each store has free wifi and usually you only need to register to their websites which is linked to their wifi and opens up when you click it.
The Anonymous — Google review
The place is quite complete with so many brands. It is quite far outside SF but the access is easy with public transport (train and bus). Very convenient place for shopping branded items, but many stuff from premium outlets not available here.

Went to a baby shower there. Grounds were beautifully kept, lots of seating. Inside area set up nicely with floral decorated tables and comfy stools to sit on. Enjoyed the afternoon at Hannah Nicole Vineyards..
Kathryn Kendler — Google review
Honestly, I'm not a big fan of wines, but this place changed my opinion. I stopped by Hannah Nicole to pick-up a few bottles for my staff as Christmas gifts. The hostess at HN was super friendly. We has a nice conversation which led me to taste a few of their wines. I was very impressed and enjoyed each one. For the very first time, I joined a wine club. I have hosted some guest and everyone had great things to say about the place and wines. If you have a chance and in the neighborhood, take the time and check out HN. Cheers!

Wonderful friendly staff and fantastic selection of wines. All of the varietals are grown on the estate...they also have a great wine club and special events going on all the time!

Couldn't have had a better time, with all the attention to ourselves. And Patty was delightful. She is very knowledgeable in every phase of the winery's operation and product. I strongly advise going during the week, early. I bought a bottle of their cab to enjoy another time. Fyi, they have several events on the calendar, take a look.

Beautiful facility for an event, or to hang out. Their wines are delicious - I enjoyed both of the cabs. Friendly and knowledgeable team too.

Nice spot. Family friendly grass area. Sadly no pets. Would have given 5 stars if I knew there was no tastings after 4PM. Staff great.

We had a lovely experience, Patty was such a lovely person to pour our tasting with and it meant a lot to my mother in law that she was so kind! Also GREAT wine and an amazing view!!

The place often organizes dinners with wine tasting and concerts. Sweet!
Olga Crawford — Google review
The best tasting room around! They have live music sometimes and the wine is great. Very relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful views.
A pretty nice wine tasting experience from Bay Area without doing the Napa drive. This place is big, has super views and lots of outdoor seating. As it was windy, we chose to sit inside. Great place to have picnics in Summer as their lawns are big. We visited with friends and I highly recommend making reservations if you wish to spend sometime and hit up the wine tasting.
Lots of parking available and drive wasn't that far from Pleasanton.
Pragati Reddy — Google review
We were made very welcome even though we arrived very late for our reservation. We were given a taste of their Sauvignon Blanc right away and escorted to the patio where there were plenty of heaters to keep us toasty. Our server was well informed about the wines we tasted and actually brought us a Port and a sampling of another one of their Sirahs. I loved their Petite Sirah. We spent a wonderful couple of hours tasting some very nice wine. What could be better?
Darrell & Jeredene Ollenberger — Google review
Probably the best wine tasting experience within a short driving distance of the Bay Area without going to Napa. This place is simply excellent with fantastic wines, indoor tasting rooms, outdoor patio seatings, a large grassy field where you can buy a bottle of wine and picnic with friends, and an outdoor wine bar.
This is an excellent place to visit with friends. I recommend making reservations if you wish to sit inside or on any of the tables that are covered. However, the outside uncovered tables and the entire grassy field are completely open! When we came, we bought a bottle of white wine, brought a blanket, and just hung out and had a picnic. It was a great time.
The facilities are super clean and the staff are really nice. Just be aware that sometimes people will book events here and you might not be able to stay as long as you want without a reservation, so take note of that and call ahead.
There is plenty of parking here and it's pretty easy to get to. I'd recommend bringing sunblock if you plan on being outside. Also, bring a camera because there are some fantastic places to take pictures and you are welcome to walk around the immediate property to take photos!
Brendan — Google review
Their reserves are good, but being able to buy a bottle, sit on the lawn and eat lunch while the kids play on the grass is worth the visit.

Beautiful Vineyard and amazing staff! Thank you for your education, hospitality, and delightful wines.

In addition to their great wines, we enjoy visiting Concannon Winery due to their friendly staff. My wife and I had a very nice time on our most recent visit, and Luella was a big part of that; she was super friendly, knowledgeable, managed the times perfectly between wines… ask for her on your next visit!

Concannon Vineyard is situated in Livermore CA founded by James Cannon in 1883. Excellent vineyard supposed to be the 2nd biggest in California. Went there on 16th April on weekend. Is huge but at the time of my visit there was no grapes crop, may be not the season however the vinery was functioning. You can taste their wines and also purchase. Excellent wine to taste but if you are in a group of 8 or more then you have to take prior reservation or else you can walk in for tasting and purchase. There was a discount of up to 40% in purchase of 6 or more bottles of wine. Lots of place for sitting to consume your wine both inside and outside the billing. There's a big lawn with chairs and table for that. Excellent Vineyard.

That's a solid winery and I would recommend going. Beautiful grounds for a picnic or some Instagram stuff if you're into that. I am not a wine connoisseur, so I won't pretend to know what I'm talking about. We got a bottle of white wine cause it was real hot out and I didn't hate it at all, that's a win!
DJJ — Google review
Busy busy busy. At the wine tasting room no one was there to tell us where to start, finally found a place by the counter and it was just several empty glasses no one was cleaning up. We moved from there because again no one helped us, by the third counter a lady told us somebody else will help us because she was waiting for a group, the guy tried to help but the cashier register didn’t work. We decided to go outside and more than 1/2 of the tables where reserved. We got a bottle of Chardonnay and it was ok not great.
By the time we left it was extremely busy.
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! This was a beautiful discovery 😍 of fine wines. Home grown here in Lodi. Friendly atmosphere, with charming gathering places, in various corners of their courtyard. There was even a Vineyard that you could walk through to educate oneself on. Well layed out, be sure to add it to your bucket list of things to do whenever you're in this neck of California. Follow me and catch up on all my sites and places to just sto into. Check out "Beautiful Places in Hawaii"...enjoy! Ciao for now.

A wonderful selection of local wines are available for tasting in a large space. Service from staff was excellent. There appears to be a hotel near the tasting area and a nice coffee bar next to it.
Douglass Brown — Google review
The staff there were friendly. After the wine tasting, we bought 2 bottles of wine, that were very well packed for us. When I just arrived home and opened the package, I found the expensive wine club exclusive Heavy Hitter Petite Sirah was not sealed. I talked to the manager the next day and he explained some wineries simply send in their wines to the visitor center with the bottles not sealed. This exposes a safety concern to us, because the content of the bottle could be easily changed. It was said there were some environmental concerns with the foil sealing. If so, there should be some sort of replacement like wax sealing. Wine sold with the bottles not even sealed in any way is not acceptable.

Helpful, knowledgeable and nice staff help you get a great overview of what makes Lodi wines special and suggestions on which wines and wineries might suit your style and budget

Thank you Brooke, we were so glad to have this fantastic experience tasting a little bit of Lodi during my work trip! This is such a brilliant concept to have in town. I appreciated it so much! Lodi does not disappoint with their wines and we will be back in the area for sure, cheers!

Great place to stop by to teste local wines and to have an intellectual conversation. Paul was a great and knowledgeable host!

Visited for the pick up party which was well attended this year. Good food catered by Wine and Roses restaurant/hotel next door and a good selection of wine tastings from N2, Michael Klouda etc. We enjoy the wine club here because we get 4 reds from different member wineries each quarter. Recommend visiting and tasting.
Bruce Hall — Google review
The older woman with dark hair and glasses working at the wine tasting counter was very rude to us. We were trying to figure out our shuttle pick up location. When we returned to the visitor center from the hotel staff who sent us back to her for clarification she turned to customers she was waiting on and said “Oh, they’re back” in a very snotty way even though our communication towards her had been very friendly and upbeat. She told us she couldn’t help us and we should wait outside (in the cold) even though the visitor center was empty. Then, a man in a blue vest jacket came out from the back area and said our shuttle would pick us up in front of the center and we could wait inside where it was warm. The older lady changed her demeanor at that point and echoed what he said. So rude and poor representation of the Lodi wine community. This experience was a birthday celebration and our first time visiting Lodi to spend money. Poor behavior from one human being to another. Thanks for that. Here’s a tip: treat people with dignity and respect! Stop making baseless judgements on the way people look or dress because they don’t match your IDEAL client.
Del Valle Regional Park is a sprawling natural reserve that provides a variety of recreational options such as hiking, camping, swimming, boating and fishing. The park boasts well-maintained trails and beaches surrounding a large lake with convenient boat launches. Additionally, the park features facilities for equestrian use and offers easy access to individuals with limited mobility.
Amazing views. The hike up to the hill to view the lake is steep. However you reach in about 30 mins and get this stunning lake view. Best time to visit is now. Very few parking spots and a lot of people park on the street which is not advisable and can lead to tickets. Would suggest coming early and parking only in designated areas.

The grass is beginning to turn green, which indicates that spring is coming. Most of the time, the hills here are full of hay. The more rain in winter moistens the place, a lot of water has been drained from the reservoir. It is full of life and has pleasant view, including cows, deers, wild geese, turkeys, eagles, squirrels, and many water birds like herons. Today we were lucky to see the soaring bald eagle, which is the national bird of the United States.

Good view with lake and grassland! There is a small parking lot with availability of more than 20. But you may park on the opposite side of the road. Multiple choices for hiking, the main route is wide enough for the stroller. Besides, it’s a perfect place for walking a dog here, and also for kids at all ages. Mobile toilet and washing facility are available next to the parking lot.
Angel Hou — Google review
While the main entrance was closed due to washouts of trails from flooding, we found a nice open trail at the end of arroyo that landed us a piece of the lake. The trail was fairly easy, but we stayed on the main path and doubled back after reaching the lake instead of continuing on. Dogs can go off leash 200 yards from the trail head. Beautiful hike. Will definitely go back and explore a little more.

Walked the East Shore Loop to Lake Del Valle, a 4.4-mile trail with amazing views. The trail has no shade, so it's best to go in cooler months. If you visit in summer, start early to avoid the heat.

Del Valle is a beautiful County park 🏞️. It offers day use, camping, hiking 🥾, swimming, boating, fishing and equestrian 🐎 use. There is easy access ♿ to persons with limited mobility. The marina and boat rentals are operated by a concessionaire. The marina store is well stocked. If you choose to rent a boat on their discounted offers make sure you ask and understand the convoluted prices that are not clear on the website. This park is a real gem 💎 in the east bay area.

Nice Park with friendly staff but the patrons don’t clean up after their dogs, there’s a lot of poop everywhere. The picnic areas are plentiful, restrooms are clean and I live the fact that they have lifeguards.

The park is very beautiful with the amazing lake and mountain views. There are multiple trails for walking around the lake and on the mountains. There are also a marina where you can rent a kayak or boats. Definitely a nice place to have a fun day with your family and friends.

My bike got beat up! 💓
Beautiful views, multiple trails 👣
Next time I return MTB I'll have a better bike! (Advanced trails, need good brakes!)
For Kayaking I will touch the waters next week!
Plenty of body water for fishermen.
-Great spot right in between the bay and C.V
*Begginers: Bring Plenty of H20 and Snacks
-Hills are steep / Read the heat report the day prior of your hike 🚶♂️
*MTB'ers: Good Brakes are a must, or you will risk crashing into a Cow 🐄😉, Trust me - It can happen!

There is a parking lot where you can leave your car and walk along the trail enjoying the beautiful scenery. I advise you to take care of a hat and sunscreen, and water (of course) because there are few trees and shade. We hiked this trail with our dog and we're glad we spent time here.

Great park! Dog friendly ($2 fee extra to the $6 entry fee). There’s even section where you’re allowed to have your dog off leash.
The one downside is that, if you’re meeting people there, make sure to confirm your meeting spot ahead of time since you can enter to the south and to the north of the lake, and once you’re there, there’s zero cell reception until you get to the top of one of the hills.

We opted for East Shore Trail to Venados group camp which is a 2.5mile hike. It was suitable for my toddler who loved hiking along the stream. Couple of picnic tables were also available on the way, but restrooms were not too tidy though. Plenty of parking spots were available.

We have been using Del Valle Lake for all of our kayaking trips and also hiking the trails! It is so beautiful and serene on the lake but the trails can be hot and brutal during the summer! They do offer camping sites next to the lake but it is under construction after a bad winter, it’s closed until further notice ! It’s the best lake for kayaking and we’ve been coming here for years!

The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum houses one of the largest collections of Egyptian artifacts in western North America. The museum has exhibits from pre-dynastic times through Egypt's early Islamic era, and also features a replica 18th dynasty Rosicrucian Peace Garden.
Very interesting museum. If you can’t go to Egypt anytime soon and really need to feed your curiosity about ancient Egyptians, this place will definitely help. They covered a lot, very well planned place. Amazing collections. Easily can spend a day. Outdoor gardens are amazing. It wasn’t that crowded at all. Ticket prices are fair and totally worth it.

Recommend to download their app and get the audio tour. Description in museums are self-explanatory. Some portions of exhibition reminds of movie The mummy. They have nice outdoor spaces as well.

I didn't know this museum was here. Anywho, this place is awesome. It is surprisingly much larger than it looks from outside the compound. Inside the museum, there are plenty of authentic artifacts and relics to look at and to read about. The tomb replica were you walk-thru was a nice touch and gave it an immersive experience. Will definitely go back since it's local.

When 1st looking into visiting, google hinted at the average stay time of 2 hrs. I stayed nearly 5 hrs and really enjoyed both the grounds and the museum (I'm a bit of an art history nerd). They allow in & out privileges, too. Parking is free, easy, and nearby. The art is incredible.

Great museum with many gorgeous artifacts. It was quite busy this Sunday, but we were able to see all exhibits at our leisure. Don't miss the tour through the tomb. It's worth your time. The exterior is absolutely wonderful.

If you are in San Jose, this museum you should visit. It's a cool place for family too. If you drive to this museum, there are two free parking (on Chapman St) behind the museum. Must visit the garden, it is beautiful. The biggest hibiscus tree I have not ever seen. If it's your first time, please stop the section behind the reception. The video shows the introduction of this museum. I love the idea they have their own app. It's so interesting to learn from this app and visit every sections. My trip for this museum was around 2.5 hrs. Love it. Strong recommend!

I've been coming here off and on since I was a kid and honestly nothing has changed and that's totally okay because now I have my own kid and he was so excited to just be around somewhere that had what was to him "monsters". We explored inside first and then afterwards he got to do all the running around in the garden.

This museum is a hidden gem and houses a wealth of history. My family and I visited late in the day and we were only able to see the main building. However, we did take a quick walk around the gardens which are beautiful. We will return to see the library next time.

Very Cool! Tons to see and read. Very Large Exihbit. Make sure you have at least 2 hours or more, to really see everything.
The staff were professional and friendly.
I highly recommend this museum for all ages. A great place to take your family.
I recommend bringing ear pods or headphones, so that you can do the audio part, through your cel phone.
Parking was pretty easy in the back. We went on the weekend.
Enjoy.

You could easily lose sense of time if you are here at Rosicrucian's. It is a quaint place , telling you the history of one of the oldest & very impressive civilization on earth ! They also conduct workshops to engage visitors of all ages. Fortunately, on the day of my visit they had mummification workshop, where folks were given a kit with fake organs to wear like a jacket and the experts explained the process of mummification. It was fun and very educational. The artifacts, slabs, sculptures and the overall experience is very authentic. Also enjoy their peace garden, just roam around and you would be transferred into another world.
If you get tired or need to step outside for a hot beverage, there is a Starbucks just around the corner , roughly 200 ft down the road.
You must plan your next visit soon.

Great time, the self-guided tour was easy to follow. Accessibility can be a bit challenging, but they have ramps for all the stairs. The gardens are beautiful! So many ancient artifacts. The passport book is great for kids

I can say that I thoroughly recommend this museum for all groups of all ages. The curation is diverse and entertaining. There are guided and self-guided tours with a passport system to keep track of what you've done. There are interactive games for you to play and the area itself is free to browse.
They maintain their grounds well, you can tell a lot goes into keeping this place looking prim and proper. There's complimentary parking on the side and ample street parking all around.

Highlight for me when visiting this museum? The Egyptian tomb beneath it. The audio gave a detailed explanation of what I saw on the walls. This museum has plenty of beautiful relics, models of archaeological sites, sarcophagus, and even an outdoor garden to enjoy. You won't regret visiting this museum of you are into Egyptian history.

The tour of a replica Egyptian burial tomb was the best part. Very old aesthetic, inside the museum. A good amount of the museum is about death, coffins, and mummies. The lighting inside is very dim. The outside garden could be kept better. There are some nice Egyptian fixtures out there. Parking is free with a lot behind the building.

Amazing hidden gem in the heart of San Jose. I have lived in the area for years and never thought much of going to this. It looks small from the outside but like the ancient pyramids, there's more than meets the eye! There are actually several levels inside, including an underground tunnel and recreation of a tomb deep within the catacombs. The grounds are much more extensive than what can be seen from the street and are nothing short of spectacular, including sculptures, fountains and ancient Egyptian symbols hidden amongst the myriad trees and swaying Papyrus. I'm so glad I finally went with my family! It's also reasonably priced and they even offer discounts for students, veterans and more. Do yourself a favor and take a trip through ancient history to visit Egypt in your backyard!

Fantastic collection of historic items and insightful remnants. Everything from collected pieces of tools and wares, to scale models of various buildings and temples, to even some full-body preserved remains. There's lots to see here, and it's all presented really well. There's also a guided walking tour through a mock-up of an Egyptian tomb, which is absolutely worth checking out (though it can be a bit claustrophobic in some areas). Absolutely worth the visit, and it's also worth it to check out the gardens outside the main building as well.

What a beautifully curated museum with fine attention to detail and thorough respect to all of the artifacts!
There is literally so much to see and read! It took us about 3 hours to get through the in door portion of the museum.
Please make sure to spend some time in the beautiful tranquil garden and relax, eat a picnic lunch or read a book. You won't regret it!

This is our second time here and it was just as fun as the first time!! The exhibits are so informative and well laid out. We always learn something new!
Must go into the Tomb it is so cool but a little dark to give the effect of being underground. So many details to look at. There is a room with diagrams of different life styles, like the queen in her room, or carpenters building, a family having dinner, etc. The details in the displays are so great and well done!
Entrance cost $20 for two people and we spent a whole afternoon here. There are outside grounds you have access to before paying to enter the museum part. The outside grounds are beautiful, clean and relaxing. You could take a book and sit out there for hours!
We will be back. Also staff was so friendly!

Educative museum that contains way more inside than what it seems on the outside, with an actual preserved mummy! The grounds are beautiful too with many paths through greenery. Can be quite busy on the weekends.

Best and one of the only Egyptian museums around. Many genuine artifacts. They have a very good current exhibition on Alchemy from the ancient world. $10 bucks gets you in so it's also one of the cheapest ways to spend a few hours.

The museum is very cool. Grandkids enjoyed it. The tomb tour was fun. Two tour guides did a very good job.
But they need to hire a grounds keeper. Part of the experience is enjoying the outside areas. I couldn't because it is in such poor condition and the pond is so dirty. I was very upsetting to see the 2 Koi fish in disgusting dirty water. The peaceful garden was definitely not peaceful.
The SAP Center is a huge indoor arena in San Jose, California that is well known for being home to the San Jose Sharks hockey team. It has also been used for large concerts and events, such as Disney on Ice when I was a kid. The arena always has a lot of excitement going on, and its perfect if youre looking for an unforgettable experience while in San Jose.
The SAP Center at San Jose is an awesome space/arena. It’s a nicely built facility for the San Jose Sharks 🦈 hockey team and it’s a great venue spot for the many concerts 🎶 that play there. The facility looks clean and operations are run well. There are plenty of parking options around the SAP center as well. Acoustics in the center are great for these concerts.

Absolutely amazing venue to host a party at. I was fortunate enough to spend the evening in one of the Penthouse Suites. The food was amazing with dishes of chicken, ribs, pork slices, and pizza. They waited until all the guests arrived and brought amazing platters of Sushi. There was a huge tub of delicious popcorn to snack on all game long.
I went there for a Sharks game and was grateful to see them finish with a 2-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets. How wild is it to say I saw the Sharks battle the Jets on ice. A rather Shakespearean affair set up with a dramatic evening. All the world is truly a Stage and we are merely players as the playwright would say.
I highly recommend obtaining a parking pass for the ABC lot because it made life so much easier pulling in and leaving. The people at the ticket were kind and courteous at the entrance and carried the smiles as we left as well. SAP Center really is a top notch venue for entertainment. It was my first, but it will not be my last time. Thanks for a great time.

I live just a short walk away and it’s a great venue. I’ve worked for venues for years and always feel safe here. The employees always pay attention to things around them. It’s just the right size that any seat is a good seat here. I’ve gone for a concert back in December, a hockey game, and Disney on ice. You can also pay a little less by going to the box office to buy tickets.
Update: Watch out in what section you buy for. Sat in section 120 last night for Blink 182 and the leg room was worse then a spirit airline flight. I was in shock I’ve never seen a venue with leg room that bad. I don’t remember the previous event I attended having space that little. Will definitely make me think twice about coming to another show. If we’re paying the amount of money and fees we do to attend live events we should at the very least not feel like we’re sitting with our knees to our chests

We came to the SAP Center for a Bellator MMA fight and it was such a good time. We sat in section 128 and our view was great. Seats are comfortable and I like that the stairs are not steep. Parking for our event was $30. Plenty of food & drink concession stands. Restrooms have many stalls and are clean. Sound is great and the temperature is perfect. There was no staff guiding us to our seats so people were getting confused but it wasn't hard to find. Overall, we had a great experience at this beautiful venue.

FANTASTIC time last night at the SAP Center (Shark Tank, for those of use from the SF East Bay) seeing Duran Duran!! Venue was great but I've been here before other events. This time tho, we paid extra for the "Jack Daniel's Lounge" before the show for a "special experience"w/food & drinks & early entry. We were celebrating our Birthdays. It was really worth it. Food was WAY better than I expected. They said "appetizers" on the ticket but what they served was more like a meal. Had a regular single bar, but also 3 "themed" drinks related to DD songs. And I have to say, our seats were EXCELLENT! (thank you, Ticketmaster 😉) As a LONG TIME DD Fan (since 1982), these were some of the best we've had in a long time. DD was EPIC & it was awesome seeing Nile Rogers & CHIC for the 1st time live.

What a beautiful building! I enjoyed my 1st hockey game here today. The weather was gorgeous. The seat tickets were cheap but extremely tight seatings. You'd have to get up for your neighbors to walk by. Other than that, the food was okay. There were plenty of drinks, alcohol and non alcohol. There were self checkout for some snack stations. There was plenty of vendors with merchandise to sell. There was even an ice cream and taco vendor. I will definitely be back with my kids.

The Tech Museum of Innovation is a popular museum in downtown San Jose with exhibits on cyber-security, app development and more. It's located next to the historic Montgomery Theater and is the perfect place for anyone interested in gadgets.
Really fun and highly interactive place with 3 floors, the first floor is the place to check-in either with your membership card, online or on-site purchase, IMAX, and the souvenir shop; the second floor with the exhibit of human body and organs, and other tech activities; the underground is a place that you may have experienced hand-made creativity and other games. Definitely is a ideal place for kids to releasing energy and to kill the time for at least 3 hours! We bought tickets to see Beautifica, and the show was great. BUT, if you don't want to enjoy it, buy the normal tickets. You'll have to wait outside in a very long line to enter, and then wait even longer for people with VIP tickets to go in first. When you finally get inside, there are hardly any good seats left near the front.
I understand the difference between VIP and regular tickets, but this was a terrible experience. I'll never go back. It felt very rude.

I can’t entirely imagine what demographic this really hits with, but it wasn’t my husband and I and definitely isn’t toddlers.
Some may say I should have known better, but from what I saw on the website- there were enough lights and electricity to make it seem interesting. My tech-centered husband was most excited, and he too was disappointed.
With a Groupon, this cost over $80 for me, my husband and our toddler. I would say it was the equivalent of an expo with lots of booths and large posters of words to read. Go to learn something, don’t go for entertainment. That was our bad.
We have a planetarium in our area at home that is free and infinitely cooler than this place. Needless to say, I’m disappointed.
I’m sure someone out there would like it, but like I said- don’t go for the entertainment factor

Amazing local museum. We went during the week (but on the local schools' winter break) so it wasn't too busy. The "Solve for Earth" exhibit that launched last year is breathtaking. It was surprisingly emotional watching my young son "fix" the Earth by turning dials on the Connections Wall. Just really beautifully done.
The museum seems a bit run down, we tried a number of things that didn't work, but it's so interactive and gets so much traffic that things are bound to break I suppose. Really glad we took the day to visit.
I think the museum is really more of a sweet spot for 9-12 year olds (understanding most of the exhibits requires a lot of reading and the topics are quite complex), but we still got a lot out of it, and the space is fun to explore. Had it been any more busy it would have been a bummer because queues form at the most interactive exhibits even with relatively low capacity.
Appreciated the little café as well so we could grab a snack!

Kids liked it. About 30min wait as there is only one cashier for non-members. 1:30-4:30pm is a bit short for $18. Kids got disappointment we had to leave so early. Strollers not allowed unless kid cannot walk. Kitchen play area has way too little items for all the kids. Older ones snatched most of them. Younger ones standing in front of empty grocery shelves. Cashier calculator is not working. For $18 per child I would expect more. Most hand sanitizer station are empty and need to be refilled. Else a nice museum/playground.

It's probably my favorite of all time just yet. It was so much fun to see my kid play hands-on learning. Expected to stay more than 2hrs and recommend come with extra clothes, snack and plenty of water to stay hydrated. Got ebt? Come in person.

This place was great to take a child who’s full of wonder and energy! It’s pretty interesting and fun to check out. I want to point out that they do not allow strollers but I can’t remember if they provide them but I know the website says something to warn you, so I would read it closely. It’s a great learning experience for kids and adults as the info provided is helpful along with the history of various things we use on our daily lives. It’s a place you have to try at least once with your kids just for enrichment purposes if nothing else. It’s not Disneyland but it’s a must see staple of childhood for well rounded growing up experience. Gotta love San Jose!

So much to see and explore! We’ve been here twice. Once when my oldest was a toddler and twins were crawling. And this second time my son is older and twins are preschoolers. And with these trips I noticed that this museum is best for younger kids 7 and under, but the older kids can still find something to enjoy. The baby crawl area on the second floor is my favorite! I was able to let my babies crawl around and explore in a safe space. The outdoor backyard is a lot of fun too, my kids were excited about the garden and the strawberries that were growing in it. Each area is a ton of fun and there are so many learning opportunities to be had with your kids here. I like to sit back and let them play in each area for a while. Bring water and snacks! There is no food court probably because of COVID, but there are water bottle refill stations. I saw lots of shirtless kids because they got too wet in the water play area lol so an extra set of clothes is a good idea.

Such a perfect place for little ones to explore. We took the first session on a school holiday week and the upstairs section was just us until ~10am. There are 2 calm spaces on 1st and 2nd floors which can be used for kids on the spectrum if required. Check when you enter the museum, the staff is friendly and very aware of the needs of kids on the spectrum. If kids like the water play area take a waterproof coat or at least a change of clothing.
We used the public parking($7) right under the 87 ramp, it’s just 2 mins walk from there.

I will say it’s a good museum for kids above 1 year.
I will no recommend this museum for kids over 5
Most of the activities are for toddlers.
I have 2 kids, the oldest 3 1/2 and he had a blast. And being a kids museum I thought there were going to be activities or sensory stuff for my youngest, he is 8 months, and he was literally all the time in the stroller because there are almost anything for this age.
So if you don’t have a kid older than 1 don’t waste you time.
The museum allows strollers if you have infants if you don’t, you have to park the stroller outside the museum.
There are easy access to parking lot .
The museum is no too big, you can use 2 hours and do all the activities.
We loved the outdoor patio
Overall is good place to do something new and different with your kids.

My kids love the museum and have fun whenever we visit. Love this place! So many activities for kids, my kids love to explore and spend time here. The best part my kids enjoyed was the water area.

Was fun for the kids but definitely not a lot to do. I guess it depends on the age of the kids. We’ve been to several kids museum or kids play spots and this is not bad but not 5 stars.

Lot of fun activities, my kids had lots of fun with different science experiments, outdoor tree climbing, air maze, drawing. I am visiting Santa Clara and Google maps took a conference parking which costs $25 minimum unless you have coupon from conference organizers. Try to look for parking spots before you visit.

We took our 9 year old on a Saturday, second session. First time visiting and just paid for one visit. It was a good place to get away from the usual playground scene if the weather isn't good. I would say this museum is good for kids 9 and under. Any age over that, they will probably find themselves bored. Our 9 year old had fun and kept busy for about 2 hours. There's an ambulance and an old fire truck the kids can get in. A resident artist is there and you can create a craft. There are vending machines for snacks. An outdoor play area to take a break from being inside with lots of kids and noise. Near the airport, so there's always airplanes flying over.

Definitely recommend this place for kids as they have a great variety of different activities for kids to do. They have an outside jungle gym playground, large bubbles and water play area. Arts and crafts and many learning activities for kids all ages. But do recommend to go early since it can get crowded. But kiddos and families will have a great time. Enjoy...

Amazing! I love it, and my inner child does too. My goddaughter and I had a great time, she's 8yo and had a blast.
The museum is interactive and fun for everyone, lots of fun facts to learn and skills to develop for the young ones (and not so young ones).
Colorful, diverse and wonderful 😊

Arrived before 9am an bought tickets in advance no waiting. When we left at 11 it looked backed up an because of the odd entrance it create a bottle neck of traffic. Because everyone’s trying to play with the large fire truck at the narrow entrance.
The dance room on the right seemed pointless an took up space.
The bottom floor is literally nothing but more of the same thing you can see on the main floor.
The outside play area by far is the most entertaining.
They need more bones to look at but the area was really cool.
The weight drop that spins the fan. The hole is large enough for a kids hand to get stuck in when others are trying to pull.
We went on a weekend an found it very over crowded.
Bathrooms clean
Staff wonderful
No food inside as in your not supposed to be eating in there…..parents need coffeeeeeeeeeeer an food lol.
Parking - Parking lot across the part or under the freeway on either side. The free way is $7 an has an attendant. The large parking lot where you cross the bridge is a bit more.

We come and help clean as a service missionary every year! We love the to see the children! We are from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!
Excellent wines and beautiful outdoor tasting areas. We arrived on an unexpectedly hot day (84) but stayed cool under their patio cover. Loved their bubbly and light wine flight. Open daily and very dog friendly! We will return;)

We had a wonderful visit and wine tasting at Klinker Brick Winery in early April of 2022! Their winery is in the agricultural area of Lodi: grapes, walnuts and more. Our hosts were gracious and helpful. The three of us chose to taste the three flights they offered that day. Mostly reds with a couple of sparkling, and roses. We found their wines to be enjoyably dryer than our usual selections. It provided us a palate pleasing contrast. We spent the night at the vineyard via harvest hosts. It was a beautiful sunset in the arms of the grape vines.

The tasting room is so pretty here, especially decorated for Christmas. I've tasted here before on a weekend and was blown away that there were four flights to choose from. This time there were two. The wine is reasonably priced and tastings are waived with a bottle purchase (2 bottles purchased to waive the reserve tasting). This time I headed in about an hour before closing and felt rushed by the staff despite there being several other people still tasting in the room. The patio area is beautiful and I may try again in summer.

The staff is super nice. The tasting room was great! I enjoyed the Zins but I’m not sure we would come back and visit. Although we spoke to people that really love all of the wines here, we felt it wasn’t our favorite. I think it’s a matter of taste, but worth a try as I know they work hard to produce!

We were very pleased with the selections here. Our server was very helpful in finding the wine we liked. We ended up buying 1/2 a case! She also helped us find other area wineries we might like. All-in-all, a great experience with a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and great wine!

Klinker Brick never disappoints. The wine tastings are amazing. The customer service is wonderful. We arrived within a half hour of closing and they accommodated us. Our friends were amazed by the quality of the wine and the beauty of the locale. 10/10 recommend.

We had a complete blast tasting wine with host, Brennan last Tuesday, 1-30-24. My wife's favorite was the best, most balanced semi-sweet white I've ever had called Vorganger, and mine was the Old Ghost. Of course we had to join their wine club! Thanks for a perfect time, Brennan! Klinker Brick is a great place to experience Lodi wine - my favorite wine in the world!

Great value wine tasting. We did the $10 tasting and got to try 7 amazing wines they produce. The location is gorgeous and the attention, superb. Will be back and will.tell others visiting our AirBnB in Stockton about it too.
Manuel Hernandez (Manny) — Google review
Nice winery tasting venue, beautiful patio so you can taste outside or inside. You get to pick a flight ranging from $10, $15, or $20 for 6 tastes. Good idea is to share different flights. The wines range from light dry Albarino to full bodied reds. We like the Old Ghost Zinfandel, Farrah Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon the best. Prices for the wines are very reasonable.
The only drawback is very little attention from the staff if you like to ask questions about the grapes and the specific wines but there are answers on the website which we accessed during the tasting. The offer deli style bites also reasonably priced.

We picked a great day to visit Klinker Brick Patio - Mild 72 degrees on July 9th! Our first time here, we will definitely be back. We had exceptional service from our server, Heather. We throughly enjoyed the bubbles, the wine and the live music!

Stopped in during a work trip to the area. Friendly staff and great wine. Absolute steal for the quality you're getting. Old Ghost is probably one of the best zins I've ever had. My winemaker father would agree.
The zoo features a variety of rides, attractions and animals for kids to enjoy. It is located in a 16-acre (6.4-hectare) park and is open from 9am to 6pm from April through November.
What a perfect blend of "small animal" zoo, and kid -friendly amusement park rides, all included in one price. A great way to spend 3-4 hours (at least). Bring your own lunch and make a day of it! If you're coming from another zoo membership, check with them about reciprocity discounts. Highly recommended.
Dustin Ooley — Google review
Great day out with grandchildren aged 2 through to 8. Very reasonable price. Plenty of ride options available albeit some with height restrictions although there is what is called a yellow zone when the child must be accompanied by an adult. (Great excuse for Papa to take the ride)
Picnic areas throughout the park so bring your own Food and enjoy. Animals more visible early in the day.
David Munroe — Google review
My kids and I love Happy Hollow. We love the animals and the park the rides. The only thing they lose a star for is the expensive food. I mean I know prices are through the roof for everyone and businesses but c'mon. I think I saw $7 for hummus and veggie sticks. And look at this chicken sandwich. That was just gross. Other than that I enjoy it. So next time I'll remember to pack a real lunch for my kids and I.
T V — Google review
The kids loved it and they keep asking to go back, so we will have to become members. Definitely a fun theme park and animals you can pet and feed, rides, theater with story time, plenty of good food and friendly service, there's a gift shop, and ice cream. This theme park was well thought out and put together and there's plenty of parking.

I love this zoo to bring the little one to. It’s by far smaller than the Oakland and SF zoos, but it’s right in the middle of San Jose, so wasn’t expecting it to be crazy big. 😅
Unlike other zoos, there are plenty of rides that children (none under 2 except with an adult) can go on and there is a large play structure within the zoo. There is also a petting zoo and throughout the day they bring out snakes, as well as other small creatures. As for the habitats, there are lemurs, meerkats, parrots, an alligator, capybaras, African tortoises, and a jaguar but the rest of the other animals are not larger than a jaguar, last time I went.
I’m surprised I didn’t get an annual membership pass sooner. The membership prices are fantastic. Children under 2 are free and the adult plus membership ($100 as of 4/2024) pays itself within 4 visits because it includes a parking pass. The parking location is where the Japanese Friendship Garden is so that’s a plus with the parking included in the membership. The memberships also gives you discounts throughout the gift shops and cafe.

Being that this was the first time for my family were were super excited to see how beautiful and spacious this place was in comparison to The Sacramento Zoo.
Upsides : any kid 5 and under would literally have a blast here and run out so much energy. The rides are free and after paying to get in any parent can appreciate not having to pony up more money for the rides. And there is literally so much room to run and play that it’s almost impossible to not have fun especially with the huge 3 story playground located in the center.
Downsides : there are literally less animals than the Sacramento zoo and I promise I didn’t even know that was possible and to still list the place as a “Zoo”.
Out of the 13 animals located on the left , there were 7 missing or not in the exhibit . I brought my 7 and 17 year old and realized 20 min into this trip that it was going to be very short .
With the lack of animals actually out in the public and the rides going from adventure to boring in a matter of seconds at the ages I had with me …..it was an hour and a half at 70.00 for a family of 4 + parking making it 80.00. I could have went to the mall with them and got them something 40.00 each and the experience on our vacation would have been slightly better because we have something to show for and would have been walking for 2 times longer .
All in all : decent place for kids 5-9 solely based on the huge playground. (Not worth the money just to play in a park. )
Not a place for a first date or for anyone single or without children. There’s not enough for adults to do period.
Totally not a place for a teenager unless there working there. But it’s cute and perfect for babies.

Used to come here as a kid 50 years ago and it has upgraded for the better! Love the new bridge entrance and ticket prices are great for what you get. All the animals and all the rides are included. Plenty of grass and shady spots to relax and eat a picnic lunch. The bread basket offers sandwiches, pizza burgers and drinks. They still have the old maze and crooked house. Danny the dinosaur will take you around the park too! If you like playgrounds there are plenty around the park for all ages! The huge wooden playground will keep your little animals entertained for hours! Definitely recommend for families! Thursdays, once a month they have senior walking too!

Great place for kids. All spaces feel like they are specifically designed with children's experience in mind. The zoo has only a few animals but the enclosures and pathways are designed and maintained well. The food court and the surrounding area offers a pleasant space for families to sit and enjoy their food. Overall a pleasant and memorable day with our kid.

Visited Happy Hollows for a friends daughters birthday party and it was a sweet place for all the kids got to hang out and explore the park together.
The place is a good size for so many different activities for the kids in addition to just the zoo. They also have a petting zoo which all the kids enjoyed a lot. There are many rides that the kids thoroughly enjoyed.. it reminded us a bit of Disney’s. We got to see beautiful turkeys, ant eaters, and the goats and stuff.
Definitely happy to come back anytime and it’s a great day trip with kids to do several of different activities :)

Happy Hollow is a great place for the family. Lots of animals and open space. They have cute one of a kind kiddie rides. Large playground for the kids to get their energy out.My favorite animal is the ant eater, something you don’t see everyday:)
Parking is $10.
Unfortunately they have recently changed their hours and days of operation due to staffing shortages. Double check their hours before you go.

Great zoo & park!! Our family spent the entire day there. We went on a Friday and there were barely any lines. It's moderately sized with plenty to do - and we were able to circle back and see our favorite animals again. The rides were fun, playgrounds were really cool, and the staff were all very nice. The park was very clean. Would highly recommend!!

The place is great for kids with the zoo and rides. Plenty of places and activities. The zoo is not fully filled with animals. Kids like the maze, which is below ground level, so adults can watch the kids running inside. The anteater is Hugh, too big for the enclosure.

Loved the zoo and park. It's a solid one day activity for young toddlers. My daughter enjoyed petting and feeding the goats. There are couple of rides for 2yr olds as well. I will definitely recommend this to other toddler parents.

Fun experience for the family. It's small enough for kids to walk around on their own. We brought my 7 year old nephew and 9 year old niece and they had fun looking at the animals and going on the rides. Definitely check if exhibits and rides are open before you go ...when we went a lot of rides and exhibits were closed. We also went on a weekday so there were no crowds or long waits for rides.

Small but fun spot! The highlight is definitely the two capybaras. So cuteeeee! The zoo isn’t huge, and one area is purely for kids, but it’s well maintained. Great place for families or a quick nature break, for capybaras, and for a relaxing day and some quality time with colleagues creatures

Very well done! It’s been some years since we last visited this museum & the improvements are quite impressive. The bright open interior accentuates the high ceilings, wood panel flooring, decorative moulding. The Fine Arts are beautifully showcased, telling an elegant story. The Historical Collection amazingly preserved. The Sci Fi Collection an amusing addition. Bonus: We went on “Free Saturday”, which happens once monthly.

No spoilers but there is a freaky trunk on the basement with a macabre story… Don't judge the museum by the outside, there is no parking lot, its surrounded by a park where many ppl go, but when I stepped in, it felt like a complete different World. A contrast of local history and old tractors with beautiful paintings and sculptures from late 1800. Downstairs the rooms you look in through a window are so incredibly well put together and your mind travels back in time for a bit. As well as amazing Native American art…Highly recommend a visit, park on the streets and walk through the park to the front door. Its great, Im telling you.

This is a world-class museum that is oddly located in Stockton California. They have an amazing collection of Leyendecker paintings. Some other fantastic artwork as well. I rank this art museum well above San Diego art museum. The staff is very friendly. Parking is on the street surrounding the park, it’s a short walk to the museum.

I joined a senior group as a caregiver on my little adventure. If you enjoy art and displays of local vintage artifacts this museum holds some information you might find interesting enough to check out. From agriculture, to Stocktons harbor along with a Native American exhibit. They even have a gift shop toward the end if your looking for a souvenir or memory to take home with you.
Elevators for the disabled and sturdy stairs for others willing to take that extra step. Restrooms inside as well as out in the park surrounding the area. Pop up shops sometimes selling snacks and refreshments. A small but fascinating place to unwind letting your mind explore the creativity and love of passionate people.

The art museum is just about the right size. The history museum is a little small. However, you can get into both for the same very low price, and they complement each other. I have been three times, and I have enjoyed the traveling exhibits each time.
Circular arena on the water with a modern glass facade hosting sporting events & live performances.
I have to thank the Stockton Arena for allowing the annual StocktonCon to take place in its venue. It is a great local convention and my family and friends always have a great time when we attend! I have also attended ice hockey games and it is a great place to see a game. The sky boxes are very nice too. The hotel next to the arena is a great place to grab a drink and bite to eat, and enjoy the cool lounge area down by the waterfront!

The stadium is alright and decent. Nothing really special to be honest, but it’s a good place to watch Stockton Kings games. There aren’t really many venues inside the stadium plus the food here is much cheaper, which is good. The stadium is much smaller when I got through and doesn’t seem to be crowded here. Not much hype here, but it’s okay.

Great place to see a concert! Easy to get to from freeway, ample free parking within close walking distance, loved the numerous smaller concessions and restrooms with smaller quicker lines rather than waiting in loooong lines at larger venues that only have a few giant concession stands. Great place for a concert, whether it's for one artist or several. Wide enough space for walking throughout the arena. Clean. Parking is clean and not hard on a car's tires or suspension.
Unfortunately, there is little to no security to ensure any valuables left inside a car is safe. So better to put items that can't be taken into the arena, in the trunk.
It's a little off the beaten path, not in the safest neighborhood, and a little hard to get out of once the event is over, but it's manageable.
Having multiple vendor booths for a artists merchandise, is easy and does not overlap with attendees standing in concession lines. A plus!
Concession only accepts credit cards, no cash.
The arena, itself is great for concerts, even the seats on the sides have a good viewing of the stage, and sitting in these seats won't even cause neck problems.
Security is pretty decent, nice, friendly. A few of the guards on the night I went, were a little rude, and invasive. Like they didn't know to keep their mouth shut or their voice down to a whisper, instead it was like they were at a boxing match cheering a boxer on, it was really disruptive.
And the people who worked the Concession Stand, they were really nice, friendly, patient and helpful.

Pretty nice arena. Parking was great, it wasn't sold out, but it's accessible. We watched the Stockton Kings and the kids loved it. The mascot would sign an autograph when a kid caught him alone, but it would always form a line. So he would tap his wrist like it was time to go. But, he tried. But I think he signed some after the game, also

I purchased some swimwear and shorts. I enjoyed the store very much! They had a good selection of camping gear and other outdoor gear. They have clean restrooms upstairs and downstairs. It is a great place for a homeschool field trip for the family! So many lessons can be made from all the cool animal displays, and they also have a beautiful waterfall and fish tank on the inside as well.
Another cool feature is the mock shooting range they have accessible on the 2nd floor. Would definitely recommend as a nice day trip. 👌

To say I was impressed is an understatement, and I’m pretty certain no matter what your need, you’d find it here somewhere. It is chock full of retail items, outdoor items, boats, atv’s, clothing, gifts, food, and on and on! I even think you could bring your kids here and just the atmosphere would excite them enough to make them think you’d paid for the experience. Massive taxidermy pieces are placed inside this store in record number, and it is quite a treat to see all of the wildlife up close and personal throughout the store. If there is anything you need, or even anything you didn’t know you need, you will definitely find that and more at Bass Pro Shops located in Manteca, California, right off the freeway in an easy off, easy on location.

I’ve gone to this theatre since it opened and have had nothing but good experiences. Today was my first time going since Covid, and I was shocked. The employees were not friendly and seemed like they did not want to be there at all. The place was disgusting I wouldn’t be surprised if there were rats running around. They were out of 90% of the candy and soda options. There was trash and popcorn everywhere on the floor, trashes were overflowing, and the floor was sticky from spilt soda all throughout the theatre and front area. Very disappointed. I understand most places are understaffed but there is no excuse for this with the amount of employees working.

This theater is okay but there are better options in the surrounding towns. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable and close together but the arm rest folds up at least. They do have self serve drinks and you can add your own butter to your popcorn which is nice. The movie theater sound system is old and can use an upgrade.

Good online system. Fast to scan tickets from phone code texted to me. No more them 5 min wait. Clean theater and seats. The floor is dirty and trash is full yes, but that are guests mistakes. Clean up agter yourself, people. The employees work hard, but they can't be everywhere at once. The amc theater was great overall and watching encanto in theaters was amazing experience.

Good location to pop in for a movie. Easy to purchase tickets online and stop in to have them scanned on my phone. Many theaters at this location and easy parking make it a good place to see a flick.

So I haven't been going to Manteca AMC theatres for a long time. So oldest and I watch a movie from last night. I'm was going to buy some nachos and there's a huge line for non-members. The staff was probably 4 at least and they're taking way too long. I'm was waiting in line more than 30 minutes because the staff was focus on the membership customer. They should step it up so they can make their customers happy.

Overall it's a nice theater with pretty good- friendly service. The workers there seem to be very friendly & have no problem assisting if you ask them for help. The only thing I would say as a downfall is that sometimes the window workers are a little slow and taking your money and processing your transaction for the tickets. Aside from that minor complaint.. my experience at 'AMC Manteca 16' has been pleasant w no issues. I would definitely recommend it to family, friends or even strangers! 😊👍📽️🎬🎫. I hope you enjoy the next movie you see there. Good luck ~

This is my first time here. We got tickets for Kung Fu Panda 4. It was very busy. The line was long for the food concessions. There are way more food selections than the regal theaters. The drinks are also self-serve. I am enjoying my time here.

Love our local movie theater! The staff are friendly, the popcorn is good, the restrooms and theaters are clean and I appreciate their movie selection. They’ll have indie selections at times when others in the area don’t.

Went to go see the Barbie movie with the husband and daughters on 6/23. We all used the bathrooms before, during, and after the movie (3 times total) and they were never cleaned and very disgusting! I have contacted corporate with no response 😕.

If you are watching a premier opener.
My advice is to get there 30 mins earlier.
The lines are super long. AMC theater should get more cashiers during premier opener movies.
The food was good, but way overpriced.
Overall atmosphere was good.

It's a beautiful theater touching if it will let me a video of The Crazies storm showers.
I would give five stars if they had the Ghostbusters collectible pins promised w/purchase for our showing. Pretty disappointed about that. ❤ GB Frozen Empire

They need to update to leather reclining chairs. They would be more easily to keep clean then cloth or whatever it is they have. It's cool that they have even more of a variety of things now as well, but the prices are crazy, but it's to be expected right🤷♀️ . On the flip side, it sucks that there are so many people who don't know how to respect the theatre because it doesn't belong to them. They want to be dirty and careless and destroy it. How hard is it for you to throw away your own garbage and be respectful. So I would give it 5 stars if it were nicer and more comfortable.

Saw the live action little mermaid here. Staff was nice. Very wheelchair accessible good snacks and drinks. It is hard to buy the tickets online depending on the movie. Overall very nice movie theater.

first time here and definitely my last, I came with my dad and 2 younger sisters on march 12, around 7:50 . When we walked in to buy tickets the worker was so impatient, and kind of rude. My dad ask for 2 kids tickets and 2 adults. And she immediately responded well 12 or over for adult. And said “so 4 adults”? Mean while I have a 11 year old sister she is just tall. And a 16 year old sister, we didn’t know what was considered a kid, or adult ( the age for it ). But she was not very friendly what so ever. She was a manager which is surprising to me, because that was not a manager too me. When we got into the theater the seats were disgusting and stained and basically carpet velvet like seats which is fine if they were clean, smelled horrible. I never do reviews mean at least. But the worker Leah, and these chairs are not it.
avery folsom — Google review
The seats are very outdated and are stained and smell old and like pee they aren’t reclinable and aren’t very comfortable. They need to be changed to leather so they are able to be cleaned better if they even are cleaned now. They need to be replaced and able to recline so people don’t feel like they have to put their feet on other peoples chairs. Also at the front the manager Leah wasn’t very nice and was being disrespectful for no reason but anyways the main part of this was how dirty the seats are they are disgusting and super outdated please change them or this might be my last time coming here they really need to be cleaned or replaced they smell like pee and smoke which people don’t want to sit on and you know these seats haven’t been cleaned in a long time because they smell like that and look disgusting.

Experience the ultimate adventure at Henry W. Coe State Park's Mount Sizer loop hike, a 15-mile round-trip journey that is considered the toughest in the Bay Area. The challenging route includes four climbs with over 3,500 vertical feet of elevation gain and one of the steepest trails in the region. Get ready to tackle rivers along the way, with water levels reaching up to your knees in some areas and even your bellybutton in others. But don't worry, the water isn't freezing cold 😀.

My first time hiking at Henry. W Coe State Park.( January/3/2021).
My hike started from head quarter to China Hole Creek.
It is 11 miles out and back, 1,717 feet of elevation gain.
It starts with downhill all the way and obviously uphill all the way back. it’s mostly narrow trails which make it unique and fun.
This was an absolutely beautiful hike: spectacular views, awesome creek, and not too difficult.
The view at the top of each hill was fantastic , the sign of green went on for miles.
I saw only 5 hikers,1 bicycler, few coyotes, hear several woodpeckers, and some deer.
It is secluded quiet, but very mighty area, those rocks and ferns wall does look nice and has good potential.
China Hole is Kelly Lake, since it’s not enough rain, so not much water left at China Hole. But still worth to spending sometime to hang out, it’s very pretty and peaceful, perfect place for picturesque.
Good hiking shoes, snacks, water, walking sticks, dress up warm since it’s winter.
Great scenery, definitely come back this park for different hikes.

Stunning views. Hiked to top of Willson peak and back down. Note that trails can be insanely steep, at times exceeding 45 degrees. Worth it though

It was a cloudy and cold day in the Southern Bay Area, so we decided to go hiking. When we drove up the mountain, the sun was shining brightly, and the mountains in the distance were shrouded in clouds and mist. It looked very beautiful. We had a wonderful afternoon hiking here, and it was very relaxing. We like it here.

Be ready or don't do it. After a 14 mile loop, I was cramping near the end ran out of water. Packed 3 gallons it went quick, the hills are not for the lighthearted they will crush your spirit or attempt to. Incredible scenery and wildlife, plan accordingly and be ready to face the spirit of the hills. I pack in food and thought I was ready, in for a suprise near the last few miles I was cramping, rolled my ankle and had to take so many breaks. Goodluck and good hike!

Henry Coe is a great escape from the city. Mileage wise, it doesn’t seem that far away but the road past Anderson Lake gets pretty narrow and winding so allow some extra time to get there. The road and limited parking inside the park keeps the crowd size down so the hikes afford some solitude. It’s also interesting to see Anderson Lake look like a lake again instead of a creek basin after being drained for dam repairs. This will likely be temporary because of the major rainstorms this year but was scenic to see.

Beautiful and peaceful views. Everyone there was very helpful and friendly. Lots of cute wildlife and plenty of fresh air! It’s a huge park so there are a lot of different trails to go on and explore the nature around you! You can see the Mammoth Mountain peaks from here on a clear day 😊

Beautiful wilderness. Hiked to Mississippi lake, camped the night, and returned the next day. Pay close attention to staying on willow ridge trail near the creek at los cruzeros. I ended up going up to Mahoney Meadows, had to track back, find the trail slightly upstream from the stream crossing, and then go up to willow ridge on the eastern side of the stream (ignoring the sign for lake coit). Take a good map and review route with the rangers.
Took me 7 hours to get to Mississippi lake, with the unplanned detours, for a total of 17 miles. Return hike was 5ish hours for around 13 miles.
Saw wildlife: wild boars, bob cats, and a mountain lion. Happy to report that the wildlife seems disinterested in humans.

Absolutely beautiful park . Would love to return and backpack for a few days. About 1/2 hour drive from Morgan Hill ( idyllic CA town) . We cut short our stay bc warmer than we anticipated this time of year and I didn’t realize dogs were not allowed on most of the hiking trails prior to arrival 😐These are primitive campsites - only water and vault toilet . Call ahead and ask for suggestions as to best site . The most beautiful sites with amazing views had high wind so be sure to stake your tent securely.

Beautiful land. Hiking trails and bike trails. 87,000 acres of land almost completely empty of civilization. Great place to get away from people. You see the occasional hikers bikers or photographers but always friendly. The park rangers are unbelievably nice and can guide you to what trails are possible on the same day or where it is best, depending on the season. Will continue to visit until I have seen everything, and there is a lot of open space to see.

Gilroy premium outlets offer high end brand names and designer stores at big discounted prices. Parking lot is big and it’s easy to find a parking space. There is a In-n-out burger food chain here. You might find a long queue at the burger’s drive thru.

The Gilroy Premium Outlets offer a diverse shopping experience with a wide range of brand-name stores. Shoppers appreciate the variety of discounted high-end and popular brands available. The layout is generally well-organized, making it easy to navigate through the numerous stores. Bargain hunters often find great deals, making it a worthwhile destination for those seeking quality products at discounted prices.

You would have more choices compared to the ones in the city center, worth driving 30 min. Prices are also somewhat better. The only thing I didn't like is the absence of a direct passage between the two wings of the mall.

Definitely a place to visit when around. It easily takes a day to Rome around.
There are 145 Brand outlets spread across this area.
Lookout for a deal over there portal so you can avoid so much walking but then miss the deal in the next brand.
They have huge parking space spread across the premises so just look for around if you even don't find instantly.
They have public toilet, look for the Guide board for one nearest to you.

This is a great area to check out. The outlet is located on 4 corners. I was shocked when I realized this. The restrooms are very clean and there are plenty of stalls. The food court (the restrooms are in the same building as the food court) is not open, I'm sure due to Covid.

Grand community-focused performing arts venue open since 2007 with 2 high-tech theaters.
Saw Windham Hill in the small auditorium. The group was great & the auditorium is cozy & comfortable.
The Gallo Center requires patrons to have the Corona vaccination or very recent negative test results so they are protecting us. Everyone I saw was wearing a mask too even though that was recommended but not required. However the state is requiring masks in all counties in a few days.

Modesto is very lucky to have this venue. We were seated in the last row of the orchestra (row X) in the wheelchair spaces and the view was great. I didn't go in the balcony but I doubt there is a bad seat in this theater. Ushers were quick to ask people to not use their phones. Everything was great.

Very nice theater. It had 3 levels and the seating rows were elevated enough that even a shorter persons view would not be obstructed by the person seated in front of them. Drink and food prices were decent. Just to note when purchasing a drink you will need to purchase an additional spill proof cup. The cup is reusable. I would go back also, encourage others to visit the theater.

I surprised my 85-year-old dad to see the Jersey Boys. So, for safety and not to disturb others, I purchased tickets in the last row up in the balcony in case he needed to get up and out multiple times 🚽😆 surprisingly our seats were perfect. We could see everything and sounded great 👏

The venue is nice and the theater is beautiful. The only problem is with the drinks. You can buy water, soda, coffee, hot chocolate, beer and wine, but........
The only way you can take your drink back to your seat, is if you purchase a tumbler. Otherwise, you need to drink your beverage quickly before you go back to your seat.
Although, the tumbler is $3, the drinks are not cheap. It's kinda a rip off. Otherwise everything else was fine.

The Gallo Center itself is fantastic. Beautifully built, clean and well maintained. An amazing array of entertainment all year long for all ages. I gave it 4 stars because the concessions is mostly alcohol and strangely caramel corn or nuts. Just not much in variation there. If you're going to offer that much wine and beer maybe some crackers or something would be nice as well. Intermission is a wonderful time to have a little cheese and cracker snack with your glass of wine. Just my thought.

Saw the symphony and was absolutely spectacular!! Great to know that Modesto is well rounded and has appreciation for the Arts. Impressive. Had balcony seating and the acoustics were phenomenal!! The views up there were captivating. Yes, you do have to pay extra to purchase an enclosed sipping cup for one to enjoy alcohol during the show, but totally worth it to support the Arts and to prevent from spilling drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful. Staggered seating throughout the theater. Clean restrooms as well as inside and out or the theater. The building’s architecture is quite grand and elegant. Tons of eateries & bars to try before the show that is in walking distance. Great location and will continue to watch shows here instead. ❤️

It's a great place to visit, hardly anybody there. Roads are well maintained. Lots of birds. It was a fun challenge to try and find birds in the big trees like hawks and owls. The drive around the Tule Elk compound was fun. The Elk know you're looking at them and they stare back at you, but they keep their distance. I would go back again, there's so much to see.

I really loved my visit here. I went in early August which is not really the prime season so I practically had the whole place to myself. The exibits at the visitor center are informative, well done and interesting to look at. The two people working there were both friendly and helpful and set me in the direction of the car tours.
I know there are a few different access points. The one I visited was the main entrance with auto tours, Tule Elk and Waterfowl. In the summer all of the marshes and wetlands are drained, but I did find water on the Waterfowl tour by taking a spur off the Chester Marsh trail. There's much more water off of the Tule Elk route and lots of little parking areas for fishing access and nice little spots to sit by the river.
If you take any of the car tours, it's great to be prepared to spend some time. It was so quiet I could have stopped anywhere I wanted for an hour or two and had a picnic. I really enjoyed the half day I spent, and no charge for any of it. Next time I go I'll bring enough food and water to make a whole day of it. So peaceful.

DOG FRIENDLY Visitor Center is perfect for kids. Younger ones will enjoy pushing buttons, opening drawers/doors, and touching pelts. Older kids will also enjoy looking through binoculars to search for Tule elk and birds through a huge window overlooking the refuge. Comfortable chairs for anyone who would like to sit and relax. The mile long walk around a marsh is on flat gravel with several benches along the route. Strollers, wheelchairs and walkers can make it, though the gravel makes for a bumpy ride. There's also picnic tables, restrooms (cinderblock Porta potties), and a wooden pier that curves out over the marsh.
Plenty of room to walk around on trails. Check out Chester's Marsh for a mile walk near the river for the wooden posts that are all that's left of the historical ferry crossing.
Plan at least an hour if you just to the short wak and visitors center, easy to spend three or four hours if you do all the driving tours and stop to look through the viewfinders to search for wildlife.

A few small trail to walk and I bigger trail that goes in a circle with a bridge to walk on. Beautiful views and sounds of nature. There is a auto trail that you can drive and see the Elk some days better than others but there is a area where you can view them with a scope they provide. There is also a information center. Dog friendly on leash, restrooms, and nice parking.

Great place for a quick visit, especially if you like seeing and experiencing native wildlife. It is free to enter and park, and there is a nice visitor center that has an impressive display of local birds, as well as information on the Tule Elk, and several brochures you can take on the go. The staff was helpful, and they pointed us in the direction of a picnic table for our lunch we brought.
We hiked the 0.8 mile trail near the visitor center and were fascinated with the bird activity, especially along the boardwalk that extends out into the marsh. We also did the auto tour of the Tule Elk enclosure and were able to see this amazing species native to California and once thought extinct. We easily spent 2 hours here, and will most likely return sometime to take the birding auto tour.
We went in the spring, and it was beautiful and green. But being in the Central Valley, I imagine it can get hot in the summers. We encountered some mosquitoes on our hike, but only in one section. And keep in mind that the auto tour roads are dirt - well maintained, flat, free of obstacles, but obviously a little dusty.
The Castle Air Museum is an outdoor facility that showcases over 40 restored military aircraft from the WWII and Cold War eras, including the Grumman US-2A Tracker and B-25 Mitchell medium-range. While the museum continues to acquire more aircraft, many of them require restoration or proper indoor storage. The indoor portion of the museum requires improvement in terms of display organization and professional presentation.
$20 for one adult to get in. The vc-9 tour was great only $10 extra per person. Tons and tons of cool planes to walk around. We really enjoyed our time here.

This is good museum many wonderful aircraft from many era. Unfortunately, many need restoring. The museum continues to acquire aircraft but really need to get them indoors or at least covered. They have been working on this for years. They really need to get more help in money raising because this museum deserves more.
The indoor portion of the museum is nice but needs help. Displays are not well thought out, missing explanations, and needs to look more professional.
All in all, it is a good museum that just really needs more support.
Kenneth Stevens — Google review
Overall a good museum to visit for aircraft enthusiasts. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could for a few reasons. 1. It has a good number of aircraft but they are all mostly in need of repairs/paint or refurbishing and the displays/descriptions of each aircraft are in a lot of places in need of repairs or missing. 2. All aircraft are outdoors (no problem) but you just get to walk around them (not too up close to see some of the finer details with chains limiting access around them) and when I was there the sprinklers were on around some aircraft I wanted to check out thus limiting closer viewing. 3. It's a little pricey for what they have (@ the time, $25/adult $15/child, $20 veterans/seniors). If you're cruising down/up highway 99 and are looking to view some older aircraft, it's a decent museum.

Surprisingly great air museum! They have all the typical planes you would expect, but also a few rare ones, like the B-36 bomber, which only has 4 airframes currently in existence. While it wasn't too bad during the middle of the day, in summer, I'd suggest going in the morning or evening in summer and middle of the day during winter because most of the aircraft are stored outside. While they do have an active volunteer program, it looks like they could use a few more regulars, because some of their projects are progressing rather slowly and various little things could use a little more TLC, e.g. many cockpit windows are dirty on the inside.
JC Sunderland — Google review
I went to Castle Air Museum because it had the B-36 and SR-71 to view. On this particular day, they had open cockpit for most of the displays. The Blackbird had its cockpit to view. It took a while to see as they allowed 3 people at a time to go up the plane. One of the caretakers said that they will soon get the F-117 fighter/bomber for display. I will definitely comeback to see this. I just am not sure when that will take place, but will be checking up their website to be sure.

Loved it here. We had a lovely tour at the Presidential airplane, it was awesome. Then we enjoyed looking at all the aircrafts and the museum. If you love history this is the place for you.

Totally recommend, it has a issue with bees on some planes, son don't go with shorts or too sweet perfumes if you want to get close to the Peacemaker or so.
Is really sunny, bring sunglasses and sunscreen.
Is a big space, be prepared to walk.

Great place to walk around and see all the outdoor planes, a gift shop and a separate museum. Air Force One in-plane tours are only available on weekends and there is an additional cost for this tour. Added a few videos.

Always a great time, my kids love this place! We go 3 or 4 times a year. Open cockpit day is amazing! The staff here is nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. Also I recommend the tour of the old Presidential plane. "Air Force One." However an aircraft is only designated Airforce One while the president is on board.

Great place with lots of planes. Only issue is the lack of info about the planes (some basic weight/wingspan info, not even the years of service or main use). Also you can only see them from the outside except on "open cabin day"

Fantastic outdoor display of Cold War era aviation and recently retired artifacts. Great indoor museum also, displaying the history of Castle and a good gift shop as well. Give yourself at least 2-3hours to see everything.

So many aircraft to see. There's a Blackbird right outside the entrance! Neat and clean facility with wonderful volunteers and staff. The cafe is super nice with a great selection of food and beverages. Bring a hat and water because it gets hot. Do not forget to visit the museum in the adjacent building. Lots of cool military artifacts from WW2 and later..

Nice place to visit, few hours needed. Great for kids education and aeronautical inspiration. Its mostly volunteer driven. Every staff was good. Customer Service staff, tour guide staff Mr. Reggie, Mr John. Glad learnt something new. Minimum 2 hrs needed for exterior viewing and inflight visit Plan for 3-6 hrs, if kids educational and 1-2 hours for self guiided tour only. Good merchandise too. Little expensive 20-30% more than expected, but volunteer based and lot of work to maintain the museum.

Wow-zer! It's been a few years since I've visited this place and I was happily surprised! Everything is on point! Excellent customer service! Clean and organized! Fantastic exhibits! There is even an adorable old fashioned type of snack bar. We had a BLAST! This is a must for locals and visitors alike! Even if you are not an airplane buff you will enjoy the history and nostalgia.

One of my great grandsons is very interested in airplanes and becoming a pilot. We thought he would enjoy walking through aviation history. The airplanes included examples of allied fighters, Army, Navy and Air Force. Planes used in WWII, Korean War and the Vietnam War. It highlighted planes and pilots who have broken multiple world records. A beautiful sight was the VC-9C, Air Force One, majestically displayed, including the high flying flag of our beautiful county USA. Admission to tour the inside are scheduled certain days, be sure and check before you go. I highly recommend visiting CAM. Our whole family enjoyed and will plan another visit.

10.2-acre wetlands & grasslands known as a legendary wintering habitat for waterfowl & shorebirds.

This place is a beautiful refuge for migrating birds. You will find nothing but peace and quietness while observing the wildlife flocking amidst diverse managed bodies of waters with varying water levels. Each ponds has unique levels that each species’ preferences leads to their attraction or different behavior.

Best refuge in the grasslands to draw a hunting reservation for, just not in mid November. Pretty sunrise and time with my son and dog watching cranes and other birds, just not ducks!

Quiet, interesting, lots of birds. Thousands of snow geese right now.
Karen — Google review
Every time I come here, it seems like there's fewer snow geese and cranes hanging about until the the fields get plowed. Then it becames a huge spectacle, however, that's when I tend to see the vans and tour buses arriving, or large caravans of cars who think they have the right of way and will literally cut me off as I'm entering the auto tour route. Pretty annoying. It's a special place during the winter migration. I just wish the rangers would be more present to manage the refuge during these busy times. Best times to visit are at sunrise and during the weekdays.

A bird lover and photographer’s heaven.
There’s a car only loop that generally takes us about an hour to drive around oohing and aahing at the beautiful scenery, birds, or sunrise/sunset. Sometimes we drive through multiple times to try to see more.
The diversity changes depending on the time of year you go.
We’ve seen egrets, many ducks, plovers, grebes, kestrels, hawks, Sandhill cranes, geese, and many more. There are definitely great horned owls living nearby.

Maybe I went during the wrong time or season but there wasn't much to see besides some ducks and coots and other small birds. The only things that were most interesting to see were the cows towards the end of the trail and the fun facts posted all around. It was still a good fun first time experience.

Very quiet and peaceful. Not too many birds but it’s probably great in spring!
The trails are very easy and boring. No wildlife on the trails. But it wasn’t crowded and it was a nice place to be leisurely.
Only issue I had was apparently the park shares with the farmers pastures? I was run off the vehicle trail by a giant white farmers truck getting to his cows. Very rude and dangerous person.

So Beautiful!!! You need a lot of time to enjoy all of the beautiful flowers and scenery there . Or you have to coming back for more like I did. Remember !!! everywhere you going try to fill up your gas Bc the gas station was far so you can enjoy your whole day of trip.

April 2022. Even without super bloom the Monument is worth visiting. There are still many things to enjoy: the spectacular landscapes, the stunning blue sky, the breathtaking views, and the heavenly silence!
Four wheel drive SUVs would be much better. Make sure the fuel tank is full. And be ready for car wash immediately after.

Carrizo Plain National Monument is an incredible experience that's well worth the trip.
The camping here is great and the Soda Lake is something special - it's always beautiful, empty with its salt deposits or full after a winter of heavy rain.
This place feels remote and truly out of this world. If you're lucky enough to visit during a springtime super bloom, you're in for a real treat.
About 1-2 hours from the central coast depending on where you're located.
There are no services once you get out there. Make sure you fill up with gas/battery, plenty of drinking water and snacks before you go.
This place is worth the trip for anyone looking to experience the beauty of nature in a unique and unforgettable way.
Highly recommended!

Super bloom is here as of 4.7.2023 and not too crowded. On the way from entrance towards Soda lake, there is many spots where you can see mountain covered with wildflowers. There is few spots that are accessible too. There is some off-road which can take you to more secluded but majestic view points. You will have to take a high clearance car or hike to those points. Also, don’t miss the drive from soda lake to CA58 via 7mile road. Please be careful and don’t damage the flowers.

Brought our group out here May 2022.
We couldn’t have had better weather (high of 85F and 90F during our 5-day stay). Beautiful skies. Always a good breeze, thankfully. The super blood moon eclipse also rose during our stay, which was other worldly. Coyotes howled in the distance, and we were lucky to see no rattlesnakes or scorpions. While there was not a bloom this year, there were a few vibrant flowers. The foxtails were trimmed in our immediate camp area — lucky for our dogs — though grew taller and thicker further away from the dirt road. We brought an ATV and electric motorcycle to explore the nearby mountain range. Our vehicles had no difficulty accessing the campsite, which is just off the dirt road. Wide vehicles and/or vehicles without off-road capabilities will find it impossible to explore the mountains.
Try to find yourself a campsite with a tree. Trees are in extremely short supply, so good luck. Best time of year to visit is during a cosmic events, especially during late October through early May. So look up your full moons, new moons, eclipses, meteor showers, comet passings, and so on. No matter what, it’ll be lovely.

On 4/11/2023 we drove through the Carrizo Plain and visited the National Monument while searching the Plains for this years super bloom. We came in off of highway 101 just North of San Luis Obispo and drove through Santa Margarita to the Monument and then to Goodwin Education Center. It was a fantastic trip and due to the record breaking rains there was a profusion of wildflowers. It was simply breathtaking and it seemed at times like we were driving through a landscape of impressionistic paintings. There were plenty of places to pull off of the road and see the wide variety of flowers. The drive takes you past Soda Lake which is now full due to the rain. The profusion of wildflowers among the foothills behind Soda Lake was breathtaking and not to be missed. We stayed on paved roads and found the road conditions to be very good. There are a number unpaved roads to explore some in decent shape and other more appropriate for 4-wheel drive vehicles. This vast plain offers magnificent views of our rugged California landscape and as an added bonus offers simply fantastic wildflower viewing, at least for now. The views will be very different with each season. There are no gas stations or restaurants or other services so come prepared. Pack your own food, water and other necessities. Cell phone service is very poor and nonexistent in many areas. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys natural landscapes, rugged countryside, and a profusion of native wildflowers. Add this to your bucket list.

This spectacular landscape is a remnant of the grasslands of the Central Valley. I visited 20th April 2023 when the flowers were in full bloom and the normally dry Soda Lake and ponds were full of water. The sections with unpaved roads aren’t for the faint-hearted, but there was plenty to dazzle the senses entering from State Route 58 (the north entrance). Do the short hike at Wallace Creek to see the San Andreas Fault!
Christopher Smee — Google review
Visited in time for the peak of the super bloom and it was spectacular. We came in from the Santa Margarita side and stopped first at the overlook. Then we ventured to the visitor center. The best part was taking the unpaved road on the other side of soda lake. The flowers were covering the hillsides like a patchwork quilt. Bring water and snacks there are no services out here.

So beautiful! We come back every year. It is good for family trip.
Took a different road on the way to L.A. and ended up in Taft (I'm not a big fan of Hwy 5)
This was a spur of the moment trip so we ended up staying in Taft. At our hotel, we asked the receptionist what is something cool to do in Taft and the oil museum came highly recommended. On Saturday morning we went to the museum and let me tell you it's a historical treasure. You not only learn about the oil history in the area but you also learn about Taft, Maricopa, and all the nearby towns. The staff, all volunteers, are super friendly and they took the time and explained everything to us. I highly recommend stopping here if you like to learn about history and see the evolution of oil pumping machines. This is a must see in my books!
