I brought a 9, 15 and 16 year old and we all had our money's worth of pulse-pounding, fear-tinged fun. The park offers yellow, green, blue, diamond and double diamond courses. Each features a variety of challenge elements, such as ziplines, climbing and crossings from tree to tree. An ingenious double carabiner system means that you are always attached, so there is zero chance of plummeting to the ground. The safety instructions are readily understood and easily mastered. Arrive 30 minutes early to allow time to park, get your wristband at the ticket booth (even if you purchased online tickets), and hike a short distance to the park. There are picnic tables and benches for those who just want to watch. After 2 PM, the crowd thinned considerably. Staff were engaged, friendly and helpful. A great experience; we will be back.

An adventurous way to cross the state line! Fun staff and beautiful views. Check it out if you're in the area.

On October 15th, I attended the adventure park with some of my friends. As we were checking in, we informed the lady working at the box office that one of our friends would not be coming and asked if it was possible to get a refund. She told us that she could do something about it and asked us to stop by before leaving. We had a great time at the park and were so hungry that we forgot to stop by. By the time I remembered, the park was closed, and we were far away as we had to drive back to Boston.
I called the next day on 10/16 and explained the situation. The person on the phone was kind enough to request my information and informed me that I would receive a refund within a few days.
I checked my bank statement on 10/27 and noticed that Catamount had still not issued a refund, so I proceeded to follow up and called again. Another person answered and I explained my situation, mentioning my previous call. They looked up my order and assured me that they had just processed a refund, and I would see it in a few days.
Today, on 11/7, I followed up again as I still saw no refund. I explained my situation and mentioned my previous interactions with different employees and their unfulfilled promises regarding my refund. The lady on the phone identified herself as Lisa, the manager, and told me that they had a no refund policy and wouldn't be able to issue me a refund. I communicated how unfair this was, as her staff seemed uninformed about their refund procedures, and had me chasing this money for about a month. She seemed to laugh at the fact that I didn't remember who I had talked to, almost mocked me for not knowing their names, and low key insinuated that I was making this up and that I was lying. Lisa, your behavior was extremely unprofessional, and as a guest who drove almost 300 miles to have a good time with their friends, this outcome is disappointing.

I brought two 15 year olds today. We did the 12:00 zip line. The guides were engaging and fun! The equipment was well taken care and I felt safe the entire time. I actually have a huge fear of heights and one of our guides went at the same time. The view at the top is amazing. We all had a great time! We will see you in the winter for some boarding.

Had an amazing time with the whole family! Staff was super friendly and accommodating. It felt very safe, but super exciting at the same time! Would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a different type of adventure! We all had a blast!

Fun place. They have courses with a range of skill levels. Do not underestimate the double black! The only downside is you only get 3 hours. And they don't really have a nice commissary to eat after your workout. They do provide water. The final zipline out is a nice long set of elements.

This was a wonderful adventure. The guides are super helpful and supportive. They make you feel comfortable and ready for the rides. The equipment is well cared for and new. It’s a great ride.

Went ziplining for the first time ever. Had a blast. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and that helped make it a great experience. Will definitely do it again.

Have come to the aerial park many times before. It was an awesome day and the staff were really engaging and helpful. I am really bummed that they took out the zip lines back to the lodge. There were 2 or 3 consecutive zips that were quite a nice distance and height but no longer there. I was told that the new owners removed for skiing purposes. That’s too bad.
Omega is a place where you can practice your spirituality and share with people with same interests. You can learn from the diversity of workshops, or just stay as a guest and enjoy the activities and spaces availables. The food they serve is the most vegan and vegetarian and is so delicious. The library is plenty of books. All the place es so peaceful and beautiful as well as the staff is very kind. I want to comeback soon.
Dani Su — Google review
Omega is a great idea, but I think something may have gotten lost over the years. The programming is great. The grounds are lovely. It seems to me that everyone could use one or more of the 'classes', but nowadays it is geared toward 'the ladies who lunch' crowd. Very pricey. Not as open and friendly as they used to be. It's a well oiled machine rather than a spiritual organization. I'm not saying we won't go again, but it would have to be for an exceptional program and prices will have to be more realistic.
Tony Best — Google review
I was at Omega for a week long retreat last week. Omega staff created a wonderful space for retreat and respite. The setting is serene. The property features spacious gardens, lush foliage, many areas to sit and reflect and nature to walk and explore. The Ram Dass Library is very nice. You cannot borrow books but enjoy in the AC comfort. The main hall is spacious for events. The dining hall features enough indoor, porch and lawn seating. Lines are never too long. The food is healthy, featuring plant protein, One day they served an unappetizing shredded chicken dish. Gluten free options were available but basic and not too inspiring. They have a lovely assortment of teas. There is a lot of veggies and a strong hand with garlic and spices and onions. There is always fruit and hard boiled or scrambled eggs.
There are cabins, campsites and dorms. My semi private cabin was comfortable and clean and pretty modern but, due to wooden frames and the door latches, movement from dorm and cabin mates can impact your sleep hygiene. I shared a cabin with a short person who weighed about 150# and I swear an elephant was in their room. I tip toed in mine and still made noise. We sorted out the door latch to be courteous.
The arrival system is flawless. There is plenty of parking as well.
The cafe has a nice assortment of beverages but limited food. I did not see the desserts ever that were advertised on the video. Their locally made kombucha is divine.
The bookstore is chock full spiritual treasures. Their prices are very good as well. They also have a personal care area where I scored my beloved Skin Trip lotion,

I've been coming to Omega for 20 years always been very satisfied until now. I attended a retreat over Labor Day weekend. There was not an option to just do R&R as they advertise on their website/catalog,. My cabin was set in the back, and was very rundown. Moss on the roof, which is lovely actually but portions of the deck were deteriorating. Rotten, ant infested wood. There were cobwebs everywhere - no one had bothered to sweep. Just off the deck was a patch of poison ivy and dead leaves and fallen tree branches. I understand Omega is not immaculately landscaped, I'm not looking for that, but this looked like the area where they dumped all the fallen leaves and debris.
The room was not prepared - clean towels were tossed on the bed, no soap, and there was a lot of dust and dirt in the bathroom as if it was vacant for some time. There was a filled recycle bin left inside.
I complained to the staff after the first night. I waited a night, because when I booked my stay, I was told they only had one cabin left. I thought it was pointless to complain, but when I did, they told me they had another cabin which was situated up the hill. I looked at the cabin, and it was exactly as it should be - clean and in good shape. Unfortunately, my friend did not want to move because she had injured her wrist and did not want to repack. It was good that I was given the option, and the stuff was exceptionally kind and considerate.
The food at Omega is outstanding and the grounds are lovely. Sadly, we were not able to utilize the lake due to bacteria levels (a state regulation). This was out of her control.

My words cannot describe .... a unique and safe environment to attend a workshop, retreat, or wellness weekend or week.
Cate La Barre — Google review
I think it should be kept in mind that this is primarily a camping environment. It’s not the most comfortable space and the food leaves room for improvement. However the workshop I attended? Fantastic. Like really, really lovely.

Amazing place! Incredible experience here. The place is spread out like camp so it is not well suited for people who have difficulty walking around. Staff very friendly. Accommodations are simple but there is AC. Clean, quiet. Food is mostly vegetarian with great variety and just fantastic. There is a snack bar with other options. Beautiful meditation room high on a hill with incredible energy. Highly recommend you find a program in the catalog that speaks to you and go!

Very nice place for a meditation workshop. Beautiful location, healthy food and great cappuccino. I'm very happy they require COVID vaccination.
I commuted from the Best Western, Kingston NY.

Wanted to love this place.
I’ve been to many retreat centers in North America and this place has a definite East Coast vibe. Very much like Kripalu.
Didn’t appreciate the rigid meal times with no snacks available for those arriving late. (Don’t be late, I observed staff standing on sidelines and rushing to shut everything down as soon as the minute struck the end of mealtimes)
Also, they have staff at dining hall entrances checking your status and counting patrons.
Wonderful teachings and programs.
Registration staff were very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful surroundings, I went during fall foliage and it was wonderful to see and smell the fresh air.
Awesome library.
Completed a couple workshops at Omega over the years and I am glad I went.
SiriDev Tara — Google review
I'm finishing up a five-day workshop and while I'll probably come back again, it was disappointing, at a few levels. First, the food. Yikes. To be fair, I'm not a vegetarian and am a hardcore foodie. I found most of the meals depressing and borderline inedible. Every day, it's salad, rice, and overcooked veggies in flavorless sauce. There were no desserts or anything to provide even a shred of dopamine. They did have good coffee and plums, though. Also some decent local bread. The hiking trail was my other biggest complaint. I'm from Maine and am used to rugged terrain, but this was just poorly maintained: broken and inconsistent trail markers, tons of downed trees and rocks. I didn't stay on campus (I got an Airbnb close by) and don't think I would in the future, based on what I saw from friends' spaces. The rooms (both cabins and dorms) seem small and dated. For not much more money, you can find some great spaces off campus. Maybe it's just that I'm not the right demographic for this place, although I am a middle-aged, upper-middle class white woman with disposable money to spend on self-improvement, which seems to be 99% of the people on campus.
As a plus, I liked my workshop, but I knew what I was getting into with it. The campus was also pretty and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Being here (2009, 2010) was one of the most profound experiences of my life. Holistic, inspiring, uplifting, educational, calming... and reminding me of my true self. The best vacation, best seminars, best meditations, and some truely amazing people. Unforgettable!

Pros:
*I made some beautiful connections
*The surrounding nature and wild life is breathtaking.
Cons:
*The People and Culture department is really NOT for the people.
*Very cliquey and no genuine sense of belonging.
*Gives the appearance of being a spiritual community, but is clearly all about profit.
*Not a place for people who are doing the real inner work and serious about their spiritual path.
*Besides the salad bar, a lot of processed, carb-heavy food that reminded me of a high school cafeteria.
*No real support for their staff's well-being or the space to express grievances.
*For the amount being taken out of paychecks, the living spaces are deplorable and need to be updated.
Advice to Management:
My advice is to hold up a mirror and ask yourself, "When it comes to my job, am I living in integrity?" You can have all the retreats and ceremonies you want, host the best of the best spiritual teachers, use the perfect wording to get your retreat center to stand out amongst the masses--but it still won't hide the fact that Omega Institute is brewing a very toxic work culture. I've lived in a lot of communities and have seen the best and the worst--but nothing prepared me for what I experienced at Omega. I wanted to come to this place for years and it's safe to say that I will NEVER return. Not as staff or otherwise. The Universe sees everything that you do and until you start doing right by your staff in a way that is genuine and not FAKE--you'll continue to have turnover and reviews like this.

Absolutely beautiful place for spiritual retreats, great food, great accommodations, incredible store & cafe ! My Mom has done many workshops there and we love it.
Informal suites offering kitchenettes & living rooms, plus on-site dining & over 40 ski trails.
Love this place. Great atmosphere and good place to learn how to ride. This is the first mountain I’ve been to and it great that they have a bunny hill, lower mountain and upper mountain. In one night I was able to learn how to go down the bunny hill and progress to the lower and upper mountain. I also did the twilight pass which made it a cheaper option, and had less people around for me to run into.

Visited Jiminy Peak ski resort and had a fantastic time! The mountain had a great variety of runs and the views were absolutely stunning. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. The lodge was cozy and inviting, with plenty of amenities to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommended for a winter getaway!

This property felt very safe, easy to find, and had plenty parking available. The check in process was very quick and easy. Our room was extremely clean and equipped with plenty towels, pillows, etc. The bed was very comfortable. The wall were pretty thin so you could hear almost almost everything happening in the hallway, kids running, talking, etc. My only complaint was it was a little difficult to find our room, the way finding could have been better. But overall great stay and I would recommend!

We spent a Saturday during President's Day weekend here, and had the best time. The snowy weather really helped, but Jiminy Peak went above and beyond in other ways. First, even though we booked late, they still fit both our children in ski school. Shout out to Malia for the help there, you made our weekend! The ski school instructors, Beth, and Feliza, must have done a great job because our kids were all smiles! They went from not being able to ski with Mom and Dad to skiing down the 180 lift trail easily with us after the lesson! The lodge was clean, food was good, and most of the mountain was open. Mom and Dad enjoyed the greens, blues, and blacks. The ski conditions were typical New England, with clumpy powder on the greens and blues, and some ice on the steeper blacks. Lift lines were fast, especially if you can sneak in the single rider line on the express 6 pack. The 1150' vertical is most in MA and made the runs long enough to truly enjoy. It was an overall magical experience for us Floridians, thank you Jiminy Peak!

Went to the resort for the day to ski. First had a 90 minute skiing lesson at the Bunny Hill with Ian who was a great instructor. He was encouraging, patient and great at explaining the subtleties of skiing. I felt far more comfortable with the skis by the end of the lesson. The bunny hill was great for me to improve a bit at skiing and I had a fantastic time. I hope I will be able to come back soon.

BUYER BEWARE, We booked tickets for the Aerial park and my eleven year old daughter got overwhelmed after 15 minutes, so she came down. When she wanted to try it again all the workers were too lazy and could not be bothered to re-harness her. A park is supposed to be a happy place for kids to have a good time, and not even one of the employees could find room in their heart to be nice to a young kid. We paid for a 2 hour slot and got 15 minutes. So, just know there are no good Samaritans among the employees at the Aerial park .Warn your kids!

The bike park is one of the most underrated in New England. Great lift access with the high-speed 6 pack, and no line. The trails are incredibly fun and offer a great selection of varied terrain. Provides a unique experience with none of the annoyances of the typical bike park. The fact a day ticket is only 34$ is just another bonus.
Maxx Parys — Google review
I love the ample amount of green trails for beginners and the high speed 6-person lift. The lift line is minimal and the staff will try to encourage people to use all available seats on the lift to shorten the line. Staff are friendly and always helpful. The minor blemishes are the small parking lot and not enough chairs in the bag storage/changing area. However, I can overlook all of that because the actual skiing experience (for a beginner at least) is excellent.
Peter H — Google review
This is a fun, resort-style mountain that has plenty of variety when it comes to difficulty of trails. There's a 6-person main lift which gets you to the top of mountain pretty quickly which is nice. I mainly stuck to the green and blue trails but the main issue is that at the top of the mountain there are initially very long stretches of completely flat terrain which makes getting to the actual downhill part pretty laborsome especially if you're a snowboarder. Some trails also had extended flat parts midway which meant that snowboarders like myself have to unstrap and skate to where the downhill starts again which I wasn't a particular fan of.
Matt Smith — Google review
Great mountain with plenty of wide open trails. Perfect for beginners or more experienced riders too. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly including JP, the instructor who provided lessons. Dan in the repair shop came through when my son's binding broke. And Lisa in reservations helped with some minor lodging hiccups that were quickly resolved. The cabin we stayed in was dated, which is a shame since it could be really great with a little TLC and update. Overall though, excellent communication with the owner/maintenance (not sure who's on the other end of the texts) to get any issues resolved quickly. Looking very forward to returning and highly recommend this mountain.

I grew up going with friends here to Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort.
We all were there to ski. It was so amazing! It is absolutely exhilarating. As a young kid, I felt the freedom of going skiing ⛷️ with friends. A little more than fear going up so high on the lift. I can remember when I would ride the lift with the cute boys, I would try to play it off like I wasn't terrified up there! Lol.
I will never forget learning how to go down the more technical slopes than the kiddie ones. Sheesh, I loved the speed of the ride. The gust of wind through my hair while I'm focusing on the ground ahead. Moguls are worth all of it! Whoosh... up in the air I go. Silence fills my ears. Now that is what I enjoy!
I found Jiminy Peak to have some nice slopes.
Once I made it down to the bottom, I realized that my limbs were practically frozen to death & definitely could use some warming.
Jiminy Peaks lodge was always toasty with or without a fire 🔥! 😃😉 So many gorgeous people in ski gear.
So sexy!
Some of my friends never left the lodge. 😁
After I left for college, I found that Jiminy Peak had been an amazing place to learn how to ski.
I've enjoyed many different slopes over the years. However, Jiminy will always be my 1st love.

Not only was the park amazing but every staff member was kind and helpful for us first timers! The alpine slide is amazing and the longest one I've ever been on.

The beautiful scenic views are a Bob Ross painting. The hotel is clean, cozy, quiet. Rocking chairs to take in the views.
Dip in their pool, Jacuzzi.
Rides were fun, I'm trying the obstacle course next time.
Enjoyed my stay.
Wish they had food room service.
There's restaurants on the property but once closed, either order in or drive far.
The peak looks like it could touch the sky.
Just wow.

This review is specifically for the activities at the resort. I only give it a 4 star because the prices are no bargain for the “rides”. Each individual activity cost $15/pp or you can get combo packages. It’s not cheap. Last year we took the ski lift up to the top just for the ride and the view. It was very nice. But cost something like $40 for two adults and a child.
This year we did the Alpine slide. First, one of the staff members, I think her name was Dorothy, she was SUPER nice! I’m afraid of heights and she talked me through the whole thing. She was so patient that even my 8 y/o had no worries tackling the slide on her own. So we did it! In retrospect, it was perfectly safe and so much fun. (Doesn’t change my fear of heights 😩🤣) worth the cost of admission for that ride.
Overall, the area is clean, has some shops and restrooms. There is a snack bar and restaurant, though we didn’t visit those. Lots of free parking and getting there is easy because it’s really well marked. FYI, they also have a country store on site which is a major convenience.

I took a three-hour drive from Queens, New York, to check out this resort for some skiing action. This review is just about the skiing part. When I got there, I noticed how spacious, clean, and well-kept everything was. If you’re into skiing, you can buy a 4-hour or 8-hour lift ticket and rent all the gear you need if you don’t have your own—like helmets, skis, boots, and poles. There’s also a restaurant where you can grab some food, snacks, drinks, and even booze. The staff were really friendly, and the views were amazing from everywhere. But if you’re a newbie to skiing, might wanna skip this spot ’cause the slopes are pretty intense. But for me, it was cool to challenge myself and try something new.

I visit this resort almost every year and each time, it's amazing. It doesn't matter the size of the room or the location on the property... It's always amazing.
I travel here for tattoo related business (off-season in October). It's one of the few places that I can hope to see staff over time and make friends. It's a truly lovely place and when it comes to hosting us quirky tattoo artists, this place is soooooo lovely!
The events are called Paradise Gatherings and even though this name isn't because of the location, it might as well be for how amazing Jimmy Peak has always been to us.
Thank you for a stellar stay! Always!

This is the place to come and learn. The Jiminy Cricket chair was made, it seems, just to teach beginners how to get on and off a chairlift and get used to riding on a slope. It is small, quaint, and the perfect place for beginners. After years of skiing and snowboarding I wish I would have started off at Jiminy. I would have had a much better experience. Took my teenage son there for the first time and he had a blast. Once you get your bearings they have great terrain for all skill levels. On top of that the lift ticket prices are so reasonable and the General Store is not overpriced. The paninis at the General Store were excellent.

First time visiting Jiminy. Not sure why we haven’t come here before. We have been Epic pass holders for the last 4 years and just tired of the poor conditions and limited snow making at their east coast properties. Great for families or adults. Plenty of food options and very well maintained.

It is after 2am and I am so tired from our long drive back from Jiminy Peak however there is a concept in Judaism call Hakoras Hatov which loosely translates as recognizing the good! Before I retire for the night I wish to express my gratitude to Jiminy Peak for a trip of a lifetime!
We went as a family for our very first ski trip after sorting through the options we decided on Jiminy and that was a great decision! It felt that EVERYONE on their team is courteous and friendly and I mean EVERYONE! Not one of my children husband or myself had even one ill experience.
Everything runs so smoothly and friendly.
As it’s our first time skiing we booked lessons for everyone. Everyone learnt the trade and that’s a testament to trainers that want their students to succeed!
I watched very young kids to seniors having a marvelous time! It’s truly a one size fits all!
There is so much more I want to relate but time for sleep, we all look forward to returning g-d willing for more fun!
To be very clear I have left less than a handful reviews in my life which says how full my heart is, THANK YOU!
The USS SLATER is a museum located in the U.S. that offers tours of the last remaining WWII-era destroyer escort ship still afloat in the country. Visitors can explore various areas of the ship including the galley, guns, and quarters. The knowledgeable and informative guides provide insight into what life may have been like during active service on board. Unlike other boat museum ships, visitors are able to sit on and move the ship's guns around for a more interactive experience.
We took my son and his friends here today. Our tour guide, Austin, was very informative and friendly. We bought the 2 year family membership and will be heading back soon.

If you fancy yourself a history buff you must visit this wonderfully restored relic from a harder time. It's hard to imagine what these sailors had to endure, but it's slightly easier when you can put your hands on the same bulkheads and see their sleeping quarters and eating quarters and fighting stations. All that's missing is the smells and the rocking of the open sea. Easy parking right beside the ship. Nice little gift shop. But the tour guides are what add another level of enjoyment.

An absolute must activity to visit in Albany or even if you're passing by via I87. You will not regret the stop over and the superb historical guided tour of this 'tin can' destroyed from World War 2.
The folks are all volunteering to keep this place open, functional, accessible, maintained and a pleasurable experience. John did an incredible job with his presentation and the whole tour was absolutely fascinating.
The USS Slater is a very affordable tour and has free parking on site. I highly recommend the 2 hour guided tour or the 1 hour if you're pressed for time.
Please donate whatever you can to the cause for future generations.

Highly highly recommended. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative; really gave you a good feel for what life could have been like when the ship was active. Also it's the last ship of it's kind; and unlike other boat museum ships you can actually sit on and move the ships guns around.

Highly recommended! The ship is carefully restored by the VOLUNTEERS (that was the most impressive fact for me). Admission is with guided tour only. And let me say, you are lucky if your guide is Fred. He is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour! 👍

The USS Slater is one of the most interesting museums in upstate New York . The USS Slater is the last of all 563 destroyer escort ships from WW2. It is moored in the Hudson River in the Port of Albany. The ship is 306 feet long and weighs over 1,200lbs. The ship last saw service for the Greek Navy in 1991.
A countless number of volunteer hours went into restoring the ship, and today most of the people who give and help maintain the ship are also volunteers. A video at the beginning of the tour goes over the historic legacy of the ship. The tour showcases the kitchen, sleeping quarters, engine room, ship's weapons, and officer’s quarters. The shower facilities and 60 second shower are a memorable part of the tour. The living conditions for the sailors on the ship must have been difficult. It is amazing to think they lived on this ship during the midst of WW2. You are allowed to not only see, but touch a few of these historic places on the tour.
At the end of the tour there is a nice gift shop with reasonably priced items. Downtown, Albany is located right nearby. A must see for anyone who loves history. Thank you to all the volunteers who put so much time into making this a great place to visit!

Toured the USS Slater with my family on Saturday. Our tour guide Austin, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, made the tour enjoyable and fun. You could tell he really enjoyed his job. My family and I learned so much and have now fallen in love with the Slater. Can't wait to go back!

It is incredible to think that when the volunteers received this ship from the Greek Navy in 1993, the ship was basically a rusted hull of a wreck and those guys were able to rejuvenate it to its 1945 look. I cannot imagine how much work and how much effort it took to locate spare parts and then restore the ship into top shape. I was told this was the only DE destroyer left. Very knowledgeable tour guide and very nice ship with a lot of historical artifacts.

Wasn't expecting the stem to stern tour to be what it was. This tour made me appreciate what our veterans had to endure during war and their life style on board. Literally exploring the USS Slater from top to bottom and purchased the engine room tour. This was an amazing experience and highly recommended to be on one's bucket list.

Went this summer. An amazing visit. The volunteers are doing tremendous work keeping her seaworthy and looking as original as possible.
The displays and components are the best I've seen. My friend and I went to 20 separate musuem ships and Slater rated number 1 on our favorites.
The guide was very friendly and informative. Wish I remembered his name.
Just visit. You won't be disappointed.

When we first got into the store to check in, the staff was extremely kind and helpful. Our guide, Charles, was amazing and made the tour even more enjoyable. This whole experience was really once in a lifetime because you get to hear stories of WW2 and the history of the ship you are standing on. It is truly an honor to be there and be able to touch/interact with some of the objects used in WW2.
The tours are inexpensive and highly educational. You get to see what the soldiers really went through.
All in all, just book a tour, it's worth it!

We had such a great time touring the ship with Alan. He went above and beyond explaining all the history of the ship. My grandfather was on a ship just like this one and it was so neat to learn so much. Everyone on staff was so friendly. John brought out a uniform from my grandfather’s ship and we were loved seeing all the artifacts in the museum. Highly recommend the stern to stern tour.

Never been however, I pass by many times.
Not sure if we have to pay to see the battleship or making a reservation eather. If so, no way Jose. It is just me. It's not my thing. However, if war memorabilia means something for you, come and check it out. It is never crowded. Although, there isn't parking spaces in the attraction, there are plenty of parkings close by, you only have to walk a little to get there. The area is safe and as I told you before not too crowded. There are other attractions around to check them out as well. The Dutch Apple Cruising, The Jennings Landing, Corning Preserve. Also, The Albany Rowing Center, which offer rowing classes during Summer time. Also, the new Skyway. All this facilities are located at the bike trail along the Hudson River Waterfront. You can't miss it. A short walking distance from one attraction to another. All this facilities are family oriented. So, there is something to see for everyone. Living your problems, angers and bad antisocial attitudes will be a plus.
Relax and enjoy yourself.

Art and Liam where amazing guides we booked the stem to stern tour (2 hours)! We enjoyed all the stories they both had about the ship and it's crew. Art has been a tour guide for 27 years and his enthusiasm is through the roof,he truly loves his work. Liam was only 2 weeks into his training but he was very knowledgeable about the ship so when we return we hope to see Art and Liam again for another stem to stern with a large group...

Enjoyed walking around this wonderful ship with my tour guide. My guide was very knowledgeable of this beautiful piece American history, and being a former Navy Reservist made it all the more meaningful. I would highly to anyone who is considering touring this ship to be a part of the 5% that that take the "Stem to Stern" tour, as well, the 1% to visit the "Flying Bridge".

My interest in touring the USS Slater was that my Dad served on a Destroyer Escort during WWII. The tour turned out to be a much better experience than I anticipated. My main goal was to gain some idea of what it was like for my father to have lived on board a "Tin Can". I was able to achieve that goal and more. Fred was our guide and he did a GREAT job. It's really nice to meet someone who loves what they do. I would recommend touring the USS Slater to anyone who has an interest in WWII warships.
Ziplines, rope bridges & climbing tower, plus 600-ft.-high line that's the fastest & longest in U.S.
We did the mid mountain tour because the skyline tour was closed since there was still a bit of snow on the trail up. Brandon and Zack were awesome! Could not have felt any safer with them! They explained everything in detail and in a way that you could understand everything, but with a little added humor to ease your nerves. They have tons of fun facts, history and dad jokes to tell you in between zips/bridges and kept up a positive fun energy the entire time. The day was beautiful and our group was a lot of fun! We would definitely go again!

Josh and Luke were very knowledgeable, supportive and friendly throughout the entire experience! If you needed a little push to get you through - they’re your guys, literally!
I would recommend bringing sunglasses (with the strap that goes around the neck) especially if you wear contacts or have light sensitivity! The views are to die for!

We did the sky rider tour yesterday ! It was hands down the most amazing day! The colors were gorgeous. Our tour guides were Brandon and Tink, and you literally should request them!!! They were energetic, enthusiastic, fun, supportive and very informative! We felt safe and comfortable the entire time! I will 100% be back! If you’ve been thinking of doing it, so it!!!! I can not wait to go again!

For two first-time zip liners, the mid-mountain package was perfect. Our guides, Luke & Tink we’re total pros. They ensured we had a safe AND fun evolution. Overall- great experience. Look forward to the next level.

Just did the sky rider tour with some of my friends, and we had an absolute blast. We got to go on 5 ziplines and walk over a really cool suspension bridge. It was during peak fall foliage, so the views were absolutely stunning. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable, engaging and fun! I would highly recommend booking a tour with them if you are in the area, you won’t be disappointed.

This was my first time zip lining and I was a bit nervous at first but the team was great! Josh, Tink, and Brieanna are a great trio!! They made us feel welcome and sad every step of the way! They have tons of fun facts to dispense between zips and kept up a positive attitude the entire time. If you’re on the fence, do yourself a favor and give it a go!

What a fun day! We did the full 3 hour tour with Sam, Luke and Bryan who made the whole experience a lot of fun. They were great guides and clearly love their jobs. The length of the tour definitely made it worth the price! Just be prepared to use your 'abs'.

Awesome time. We did the mid mountain tour for starters but definitely want to return for the skyrider. We had a ridiculous amount of rain and ended up completely saturated but it didn't stop the fun at all. I mean if you haven't ziplined down a mountain in the pouring rain, did you even Zipline? Such a fun time and the rain made us go faster 😂 our guides Brandon and Kincaid were awesome. We had a lot of laughs and fun during our experience. Looking forward to the skyrider in the future.

The zip lining was an absolute blast today, I would 10/10 recommend everyone go and enjoy themselves! The tour guides Zack, Nate and Dustin were hysterical and fun easing everyone's nerves, and really made the experience even that much more enjoyable. Can't wait to come back again someday!

Make sure you have a way to secure your phone and stuff. I forgot this and bought a Fanny pack-type-thing for $20. First time zip lining for my girls and me but we had a blast. Group size will be about 5-10. Guides are very patient and good about getting the little ones to take their first zip when they are 50 feet in the air. They don’t get frustrated if it takes more than 5 minutes for the kids to let go.

New York Zipline Adventures skyrider tour exceeded our expectations by far! It was such an amazing and fun experience, with incredible views of the mountain range! Coming mid-October was a great idea as the fall foliage was beautiful. One of the best parts was our guides. Tink, Dustin, and Dakota were so awesome, we felt very safe and in good hands! Not only were they very knowledgeable and experienced, but all three had the best personalities and told funny stories which made sure everyone in the group had a memorable time. I definitely want to go back again, and will be absolutely requesting the same guides.

The New York State Museum is a vast exhibition space that showcases the history and culture of New York. It features collections that highlight the natural and cultural past of the state, including artifacts from the tragic events of 9/11 as well as a beautifully crafted carousel from the 1890s. This museum is an exceptional destination for visitors who wish to learn about New York's fascinating heritage without limitations or restrictions on their curiosity.
What a gem. It's actually quite massive - we were there for a couple of hours and only got to see half. Maybe even less. The 9/11 exhibit is detailed and quite emotional- I couldn't even take any pictures. There are exhibits on various eras that are detailed and well documented. Even if you don't want to read so much, they are wonderfully well put together. You don't have to follow any chronology, but it's set up so that you can if you want to. Really well thought out and lets you really appreciate our state. Note: its free to visit. We did not have to reserve time slots online either. The people at the front desk are super helpful. Outside, there are some wonderful memorials as well, and the space is lovely, you can sit and reflect for a few minutes.

Brought my children there just as my mother brought me 30+years ago. A few things changed, but several of the exhibits from my childhood were still there. We loved the first people's, ice age, wildlife of NY, etc. Rode on the carousel on the 4th floor too. Not too crowded on a rainy Tuesday in the summer. Finished the trip by going to the Corning Tower observation deck on the 41st floor. Parking was $10, and suggested family donation was also $10.

Very nice museum with many amazing and informative exhibits! I particularly enjoyed the ones relating to Native Americans and their way of life, along with the sobering reality of their 9/11 exhibition. It is technically free to visit, as it is by donation, but I hope everyone who visits gives what they can to keep this place afloat! Five stars all the way, a wonderful way to spend a few hours!

I go to this museum often, love to wander through the many rooms to study the exhibits. My favorite place features gemstones and minerals from the state of New York. The collection is amazing. There is a great room filled with historic 9/11 artifacts (very emotional). I do wish the exhibit covering Safe Haven and the Holocaust still existed. Such an important part of history - never again. I was told this was coming back, but that was a few years ago and I don't believe it is going to happen.Overall, wonderful place, great for all ages.

This is a fabulous museum for anyone with a wide variety of interests from history, to geology, to anthropology, and everything New York State! We spent a day here, recently, with a friend visiting from out of state on his first trip to NY. It was enjoyable being able to offer a taste of what it’s like to be a New Yorker and refreshing to be able to have so many interesting exhibits under one roof. The best part? It was free! Here we stood with our wallets in hand as our super helpful host let us know we were good to go and gave us an excellent run down of the exhibits and where each one could be found. The minerals were by far my favorite, but there’s definitely something for everyone here and a gem of a way to spend an afternoon.

I came here this past weekend for the first time. I was shocked that the admission was for free and that they only suggest giving a small donation ($5 for individual and $10 for a couple). This museum is absolutely fantastic. The place is clean, including the bathrooms and the displays are so well maintained. Some of the exhibits were closed as well as the gift shop, but I saw a good amount of displays while I was there. The one exhibit that stood out and really hit close to home since I am from Brooklyn, NY was the World Trade Center exhibit. I don't think anyone can look at those displays and not want to shed a tear about what had happened on 9/11/2001. They have some really interesting pieces, including the original flag that was on top of one of the towers. I also really enjoyed the Birds of New York exhibit. I never realized we have so many feathered friends flying all around us. Overall, this is a great museum for any age and a wonderful look into the history of New York State. I will definitely come back again!

The New York State Museum is a treasure for artistic, historical, and environmental legacies. This museum and research center captivates visitors with its diverse exhibits.
On both visits, we reveled in the sheer abundance of artifacts. The museum houses a captivating collection that spans from pre-ice age to modern times. And the cherry on top? Their Ferris wheel! It’s a whimsical touch that adds a dash of fun to the experience.
The display of kids’ artwork is heartwarming. It’s beautifully curated, showcasing the talent of young artists from upstate NY schools—including my kids’ art! As a super proud mom, I was truly impressed by how thoughtfully everything was set up. And the best part? It’s free! A place where kids can learn, explore, and have a blast.
I absolutely love this place! Whether you’re a history buff, an art enthusiast, or just looking for a family-friendly outing, the New York State Museum delivers.

The New York State Museum is a must see destination when visiting Albany, New York.
In March of 2022, I brought myself and my wife for a visit to the museum and we very much enjoyed our time and experience there.
The museum features numerous artifacts, both prehistoric and historic, as well as a multitude of exhibits, ranging from but not limited to the “Ancient Life Of New York” Black Capital:Harlem In The 20’s, & The Fire Engine Hall.
Both my wife and I enjoyed touring the World Trade Center:Rescue, Recovery & Response exhibit, which showcases the history of the World Trade Center & 09/11 attacks, & The Metropolis Hall exhibit which features a New York City Subway Car, Little Italy Barbershop, and a Sesame Street attraction.
If you are interested in learning about the history of New York, and exploring these exhibits, then you should definitely stop by and visit the New York State Museum!!!

I’ve been waiting a while to bring my kids here due to their ages and COVID. Coming here was one of my favorite things to do as a kid. As an adult, I still love it just as much.
I loved being able to teach my six year old about the geological history of New York State, and show him the first people known to have inhabited the area. He was most excited for the Mastodon because that was excavated right in our back yard. My four year old’s favorite part was the carousel.
It’s a great family activity on a stormy Sunday afternoon. Parking in the lot was free and easy. The suggested family donation is $10, as opposed to the $70 it would have cost for us to go to the MiSci museum in Schenectady. Of course- all museums need yo be sustainable so it’s not really a comparable expense. But if you’re looking for something that is a free activity, this is certainly a great choice.

Great place for the entire family. But make sure you have at least 3 or 4 hours to view everything. The exhibits are fun and informative. Don't forget to ride on the carousel...all free!

We’ve been here as a family twice now. It’s a free museum with beautiful and thoughtful exhibits. It’s huge inside. Took us a few hours to go all around. And many displays were new few our last visit. They also have clean bathrooms and easily accessible throughout.

Wow! Quite the museum and lots of fun. We made a pit stop here on a road trip and were really impressed with the exhibits. There’s lots to see - we spent about 2 hours here and could have spent even more time. Our daughter went through the rooms saying “wow” and we did too!

It's a decent museum that's free! If you're in the capitol, it's a must see! I love the wild life exhibits and they also have Sesame Street, an old subway car (including the smell), olde time NY, 9/11, and more!

Wonderful donation based museum. I've been coming here for years. They have really great exhibits in Dutch colonization, native American exhibits including part of a life sized long house, a mastodon and much more. The staff is really great too. I was able to schedule an appointment and look at some of the behind the scenes artifacts. A gem for upstate New York.

We especially love this museum because it shows NY history, and when my kids are studying Native Americans/Indigenous people in school, they get to see the life-size Longhouse in person!
We actually stayed here overnight years ago with the Girl Scouts twice, and it was great! Most everything is on the main floor in a horse shoe shape, and there is a carousel on the top floor that runs every 1/2 hour.
You could do about 1.5 hours or as much as 3 or 4! There is a Discovery section more geared toward little kids. We went on a Saturday around noon and parked in a lot on the side street of the building (it was free at that time). Stayed about 2 hours, including 2 carousel rides, and the two 10 year olds were happy with that. It is technically free, but donations are suggested, and there are boxes to drop donations just as you go to enter the galleries inside. Maps available at the desk.
Serina B — Google review
Great free entrance museum with event space a Carousel upstairs that runs at 30 min intervals and a kids touch and explore area. Suggested donation is $10 per family and it is well worth it to keep this beauty running. The architecture alone is worth the visit but the exhibits are really well done and engaging too. Parking can be limited but its totally a great few hours.

Excellent museum depicting life in New York, past and present. You need 3-4 hours to do justice to all exhibits. They have antique cars, a carousel, fire engine hall, many neighborhoods in NYC like Harlem, the garment district, an especially touching exhibit on 9-11, birds of NY, etc. And it is all free, but please donate what you can. I plan to come back and spend a whole day here. Look at their website for parking details.
The New York State Capitol is a stunning historical landmark with a renaissance-revival design that serves as the seat of government for the state. The building boasts intricate architectural details both inside and out, including features reminiscent of a French chateau. Free tours are available on weekdays, providing visitors with an opportunity to appreciate the beauty and grandeur of this majestic structure.
This is a beautiful building inside and out. My wife and I went on one of the guided tours (The tour guide Grant was awesome!) and it was a great experience. It’s a beauty to behold!

I've always been intrigued by the Empire State Plaza, but this time I was able to tour the Capital bldg. It is impressive by size and detail. What a shame the tower was never built. The materials used and grandeur are overwhelming. The artwork very fine. I'm used to seeing portraiture of past Governors in the statehouses across America, but this one has additional paintings from around New York, and they are also beautiful. Sculptures of important and unknown figures, adorn the grand staircase that in itself, is also a work of art and reminds me of underground caverns. The war room artwork on the ceiling, leaves One speechless, as it's scale and beauty are breathtaking! One of the finest!

Very fun capital to tour. My tour guide was amazing and very informative. You are allowed to roam the building following the tour but I either didn't receive instructions on leaving or missed them so I had to wonder for a bit to find my way out. As it is a old building some cool spots on the tour are missed if you are wheelchair bound or would otherwise need to use an elevator over taking stairs

The 5 stars are for the building itself and its architecture, not the politicians inside. Gorgeous building. Almost looks like a gigantic French chateau. Majestic.

Beautiful building and pleasant tour guide, but be prepared for lots of demonstrators chanting and present at several points in the tour. It's democracy at work, but don't expect a quiet, peaceful tour. Directions and signage helping you to park and find the tour meeting point are very poor. My wife and I spent a solid hour walking around and talking to people to ultimately find the tour starting point.

Grew up in the next town over but never gave Albany a second thought. Partied here a few times in my late teens before joining the service. I left New York back in 2000 because I was sick of snow. This past December I returned, a bit reluctant but now I'm thankful. There is so much history here, the architecture and the small shops are incredibly intriguing. These are things I would have never recognized or appreciated in my younger years. Somehow I feel we lose our sense of culture in our struggle to survive day to day.

Hunter Mountain Resort is a convenient option for those seeking to stay close to civilization. The accommodations consist of unpretentious apartments equipped with kitchens and fireplaces, as well as a ski school. The mountain boasts various terrains, with the majority being intermediate and above, making it stand out from other local mountains that are less challenging. However, there are still ample opportunities for beginners to learn. Additionally, the lodge provides all necessary amenities typical of resorts in the area.
Another of my favorite mountains in the NYC area. The drive is worth it. This mountain is amazing. The views are great. And the waffles are delicious. I have to come here at least once every season. Pretty high up in elevation so it’s freezing but that’s the point. It’s best to get here as soon as it opens so you have the whole day to snowboard because they close before night.

We visited this resort to experience the fall foliage ski lift and the Oktoberfest. The line for the ski lift was almost 1-1.5hr long. Ensure to buy tickets online as they close the ticket booths due to the rush. The ride up and down was beautiful as you have expansive views. Clean bathrooms and ample free parking available. Very limited options for food…

Good at making snow, slopes well groomed. Terrain Park was, interesting... Definitely not the best for beginners and also jumps weren't very uniform and the park pretty much had no flow to it. Food was okay, extremely over priced but I'll blame that on Vail buying them out. When I went, not enough lifts to spread people out effectively, also the online reports did not reflect which lifts and trails were open. Overall still a fun day on the snow, I recommend sharpening your edges before you go though.

Great mountain for it's proximity to civilization. The lodge itself is good and has all the typical resources you would need. The mountain offers plenty of diverse terrain. Most of the mountain is intermediate and above (blues and blacks) which is great for the area because that is not often the case at other local mountains. There is still plenty of area for new folks to learn though.

Hunter mountain is definitely for skiers and snowboarders who have been doing them for awhile. I went with 6 of my friends we were all beginners. I must say that the slopes were not crowded and for the most part it is clean. They have a nice rental crew inside. The lady where you get the boots and Timothy. I liked them both because they were so kind and accommodating.
The place has a cafeteria. I did not expect anything different from the selections. Typical burgers, fries, chili, and roast beef sandwich. They are pricey. A chili bowl cost me almost $13. So I suggest be prepared for that. Other than that, my friends and I had a great experience! Will definitely come back but would have to lodge as it was 2 hours away from where we live.

This is a summer review and has nothing to do with their winter/skiing.
Hunter Mountain’s site brags in large letters” WE ARE OPEN FOR SUMMER”. are they though? I was a huge fan of area summer visits and always going to Hunter. The best zip lines and sky rides around! But the Zip lines are defunct and sky rides are only running 3 days a week?! (Not the days we were here)
So we explored the very close by Windham Mountain. Great sky rides and they offer hiking and mountain bike trails from the top of the mountain! Incredible set up. Insanely fun!

Went for the fall foliage ski lift. Arrived at 2:30 pm. Waited in line for 70 minutes before being able to get on the lift (so many empty lifts being sent up). If you have issues standing for long periods of time, this may not be difficult. It was about 8 minutes up and 8 minutes back.

A great day on the slopes. For me as an advanced skier I had a great time. Lifts were not super crowded and trails were still in decent shape even in the afternoon. My husband was in the beginner area using the magic carpet and he said it would take him 30 mins to get on the carpet. I tried to get him on one of the chairs but he was not ready.

Fairly busy, but not too bad. One downside is that their lifts work until 4pm. I don't know if this is every day or just on holidays, like Jan 1st.
Rented equipment is as good as it can get. Staff is nice and helpful. Food is good.
One great thing about this place is that they are high enough to be able to make snow when there is snow anywhere 50 miles around.

Check the weather before you go, and dress accordingly. Sometimes it’s not easy to find lodging, so I booked a room at holiday inn, just 30 mins away from the resort.
Jorge Madrid — Google review
Enjoyed the weekday skiing. Barely anyone there. Which made the mountain more enjoyable since a lot of trails weren't open. A could of the trails probably should have been closed, just because a could portions had mud and rock to get around. The lodge was comfortable and good food choices. I wish the grilled cheese sandwich wasn't just a weekend thing.
Matty — Google review
Expect big crowds and 2-3 runs an hour max. on busy weekends if you use the main lift. During the week it is much better. The mountain is great if there is natural snow, if it is a bare winter then don't expect all of the trails to be open. Hunter and Windham are comparable offerings and the better mountains to ride if you are located between NYC and Albany. Food is ok, around $20 for a burger and fries.

I've only ever been here during the summer so it's pretty dead. But I appreciate that they allow use of the ski lift. My favorite thing to do! I bet this place is amazing during it's peak season

We stopped by Hunter Mountain during their Oktoberfest in early October 2023. It was a pleasant little festival, but not as big as the website and other promotional material led us to believe. It's hard to judge the resort itself when one has only visited it out of season, but the lodge building seemed a bit run-down and was suffering from numerous leaks in the roof which were still dripping a couple days after the most recent rain. The facilities within, however, did seem quite good.
Bob Schroeck — Google review
The lodge was beautiful!
The employees were nice and very helpful.
I think the rooms, or at least the one we had, need some updating.
We had a studio. It was nicer than we thought from the online pictures.
However, they don't, have a refrigerator or microwave. I didn't mind no microwave, but we had leftover food and cold drinks.
We had freezer packs, but they wouldn't hold them in the freezer downstairs. I have never had a problem with any other hotel as far as that.
They had a double bed!
When was the last time they had a double bed and not a queen for 2 people?
There was also a huge cabinet for a small TV.
Who uses entertainment centers anymore?
Needless to say, they need some updates.
The room otherwise was clean and served it's purpose for just one night.
The atmosphere downstairs, the surrounding areas, and the staff made up for what was lacking.

Hunter Mountain Resort in NY is a fantastic destination for all seasons! The skiing and snowboarding in winter are exhilarating, offering thrilling slopes for all skill levels. In the warmer months, the scenic beauty and outdoor activities like hiking and zip-lining make it a perfect getaway. The resort's amenities and hospitality enhance the overall experience. Highly recommend for an adventurous and enjoyable retreat!

Our first visit to Hunter Mountain was absolutely amazing and definitely worth repeating. Skiing was awesome and our stay at the resort was perfect. Ski in ski out was very convenient and so was the ski storage. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The deluxe studio had everything we needed. We had a great experience.

Snow Tubing here is so much fun! The lanes are fast and fun. My only issue was the double tubing policy. You will need special permissions to use it. If you have young kids that you want to ride with, please 🙏 check their policy!
Greg Farrell — Google review
First time here for snow tubing and we had a blast. Our tubing time was from 3-5pm on a Saturday and it wasn’t too crowded but there was a line to the top of the slope. Took a few minutes to reach the top but once we got there it sure was exciting. Hill didn’t appear steep from the bottom and in reality I guess it wasn’t but boy did you fly down the hill. It was a little scary at first but after a while it was just fun. We will definitely be back next year. Only negative aspect was the waffles we ordered from the cafe. Tasted terrible and overpriced for what is was. Other than that our tubing experience was great!

Their customer service is garbage! I have called numerous times to try and find out pricing/information for adjusting ski bindings and have been directed off site every time. Do they not have anyone at the phones whatsoever?
Not to mention conditions are usually an ice pit. Perfect timing because I am now strongly considering switching to an IKON pass after this experience.

Trails were groomed great for so late in the season but the day was ruined when we stopped for lunch and drinks at the main bar. The female bartender was super rude and ignored us after giving us our first round of drinks. I would maybe recommend bringing your own booze and just go to the food hall instead of wasting your time at the main bar. Wasted over an hour waiting for a quick bite :/

Pros:
1. Received lift tickets quickly. Pop up canopies were set up near the main ticketing area for online lift ticket sales.
2. A big thank you to Jeff, who resolved an issue we had at The Marketplace.
3. The ski conditions were better than expected. Recent snowfall and the snowmaking machines were running as well.
Cons:
1. Getting on and off the chairlifts were dicey at times because the seats are too close to the ground. And the loader, referring to the staff member who usually holds the chair as you sit down, was not doing such a great job, as the chair would hit us with force because they were just looking on.
2. Vail Resorts, the parent company of Hunter Mountain, needs to make capital improvements, especially to chair lift safety and capacity.
3. Get your runs in early! The chair lift lines are very long by 12:00pm. Hunter Mountain's proximity to the NYC metro area makes it so. Bring your own equipment if you can. It saves tons of time on the rental line.

January 27, 2024. We came for snow tubing. The ticket girl gave us a great attitude by ignoring what I kindly said. Magic carpet(belt to take people up to the hill) stopped working in the middle of our first climb. Snow was not slippery at all, hardly reaching in the middle of the track. We were able to slide twice in an hour and my son didn’t even want to do it again because it was hard for him to walk all the way up there and it was not even fun tubing. Plus waiting 20 mins for it. Muddy, watery ice everywhere. Not enjoyable at all. Overall very bad experience. I will not come back or recommend snow tubing here.

Hunter is a nice place. But Kaatskill Flyer normally has too much people. If that is the case, get to the peak & go to the West Face if you are an expert and North face is you want something easier. Both are accessible via Belt Parkway. If weather doesn't permit Kaatskill Flyer to open, don't panic, and use Broadway, and then F lift to get to the top. If all/most of the trails are open (at least one on each face) it's about the best you can get on the east coast in the US.

I always enjoy this theater. It's easy to get to. Parking on the weekend is free. The seats are comfortable. The women's restroom on the first floor has many stalls, so you're not waiting for long. The shows are always enjoyable and the sound system is very good.

Decided to go to Fandom Fest for the first time. What a great little adventure it turned out to be. From the guest, to the geek garage, Hollywood snapshots, cosplay, artist alley, vendor hall to the exquisite theater that held the panels.
I had a fantastic 2 days & will definitely be going back!

Spot light balcony isn't worth the cost! Couldn't see any of the beautiful details. very disappointed 😞 we came from a distance to major traffic jams with no assistance with directions for patrons. Overcrowded with no organization of merchandise booths, Bathrooms, (were inadequate for the amount of patrons) and exits. Not enough time to use facilities and the staff will lock you out of show. I understand respect for the great and amazing actors. .We needed more time and better organization. We paid a small fortune to NOTsee the stage clearly. Again will not visit here for any entertainment unless it's front row, i would still think twice...

Always a fantastic place to go to see a play, music events, movie, or small concert, Depending on what the schedule is for events.
I took my granddaughter to see Bluey’s Big Play, all the staff were friendly and welcoming, as always it was clean and well kept. There are a few shops in here with some fantastic items in them. It can get crowded in here, but it’s so worth it. Much love for this place

Saw Waitress. Good play, funny, well written, beautifully sung and acted. The theater is gorgeous. The volunteers are friendly, courteous and helpful. The seats are a little close together, but all of them seem to have a good view of the stage. Entering and exiting the theater is well managed.

This is a beautiful, old theater from another era. The architecture inside is beautiful. I went to see Hamilton which was fantastic. The lights and sound were incredible. The theater doesn't have very steep stadium seating, so if someone really tall sits in front of you, it's difficult to see. But, as I said, theater is from another
era, so the seats and rows are also rather tight. But nothing to complain about. See a fantastic show there and you will be very pleased.

First and foremost - this building is NOT suitable for its large events! The narrow common areas make it impossible to get out quickly!!!
That being said, the remainder of my experience was wonderful! Saw The Lion King with family. The production, displays, props and actors were beyond awesome! Staff here were helpful, polite, and professional. This old theatre is clean, well kept, and beautifully decorated. Parking for the event was close, convenient, and free. Leaving the event is similar to leaving a concert at SPAC, but patience gets you on the outskirts of Schenectady in about 10 minutes. Bravo!

What a fantastic show! I went to Proctors with my sister. We both loved the show, we laughed (and cried a little). We canvassed the people around us during intermission and and after the show and everyone loved it as much as we did. It is one of the best shows I’ve seen both here and in Broadway. Definitely worth your while!!!

We went to see pretty woman. Excellent show . Beautiful old theater . Just the right size where you can see the stage without any problem. excellent staff plenty of parking short break drinks and snacks. Then back to an excellent show. We've been to many shows at proctors. We've enjoyed them all. We made the trip over from Vermont. Some traffic when you try to leave the parking area but after that was fine.

Sincerely enjoyed seeing Hamilton here. I love the architecture. I do think there could be better signage about where to exit to make it to which street, but I also probably missed a sign or two. Overall, we loved it! This is the 2nd time we went. The first time we sat in the balcony and saw lion king (2016) and loved our view then too!

I used to go to Proctors Theatre often, having had grown up in Clifton Park. It has been a long time since I have been to the theatre since I moved out of the area. I just saw Ray LaMontagne this past Saturday. The theatre was even more beautiful than I remember. It looks like everything has been meticulously maintained! The acoustics were amazing! I used to always sit front row, center in the balcony, this time we had orchestra seats. It was an amazing evening that brought back some of my very best childhood memories. I will be checking the schedule to see when I can return again!

I've been coming back to Proctor's for decades; tonight drove home why. Trying to buy tickets for a show in another local city the person who answered the "box office" phone snidely asked me if I thought that there was anyone sitting in the box office selling tickets ... I STOPPED by the box office at Proctor's, picked out my seats, AND saved nearly fifty percent for the same show! So yes, this historic theater is worth five stars! From Beethoven to "Gone With the Wind" to "Phantom of the Opera" to Dancing With the Stars, Proctor's has it all. I can't wait to see "Lord of the Dance" next month. 😉

Been here twice and it's been brilliant both times. I loved the shows I saw so freaking much! Thrilled about the convenience and ease of parking, as well as helpfulness of staff and different viewpoints from seating in the Mainstage theater. The bathrooms and some of the halls can feel kind of cramped and could use a bit of updating, but it's really not that big a deal. I saw Lion King as well as Fiddler on the Roof this year and they were so so excellent. Will definitely be back for future shows!

I suppose if you want but a casino experience in upstate New York, you could certainly do worse than this, but the building looks garish, and it is an eyesore against the quaint, historic elegance of Schenectady. It is nothing but the most ostentatious, tawdry golden colossus, surrounded by an endless, bleak sea of parking. There's no semblance of harmony or order between the structure and its overall environment. It strikes me as a clumsy edition to a comfortable and welcoming old city. I am giving two stars instead of one, because the casino seems to be rather clean and well-run. Still, I try to avoid the entire casino area when I am in Schenectady, as it seems to betray the basic essence of its environment.

The room has multiple chairs that are very comfortable for sitting and watching the games. Behind does chairs are a bunch of tables where you can say eat food with a group of people and relax and watch the games. To the right of the TV or the chamber guys who are there to take your bets. To the left of it they're automated machines as well as more behind the tables where you can place your own bets. They are showing all the major sports games and the TVs are pretty clean. Usually smells like degenerate gambling and weed.

We were getting our car serviced at Mohawk Honda and they offered to take us to River Casino since it was going to be about 4 hours. We didn’t know about River Casino. As long time Atlantic City goers this was a pleasant surprise. Upon getting dropped off we did a walk starting on the Bike Trail along the Mohawk River before entering the Casino.
My wife got a player card and played some video poker. I walked around checking out the rest of the casino as she played. It’s a nice looking casino with a few places to eat and lots of machines to play at. We plan to go back and do an overnight trip so we can check out the hotel and other amenities.
Overall River Casino has a good vibe and a nice look. It’s well worth a visit if you like casinos.

It's a scam. Machines are tight. The hig limit room is always empty. Their waitresses never come around. Spent 1800 bucks and dis not get a single bonus. Denied my disabled father a scooter saying they don't do it anymore. 5 min later they gave one to someone else. My father is in wheel hair 24/7 and a veteran. And they treated him like he doesn't matter. And all I've asked for was a apology. Haven't gotten one. Is this the type of place you run? Bad news is that they won't even respond to this. Seems like they don't care. They got their money so why care. Thousands spent there and nothing to show for it. I'd like a response to this. Thanks

Long story, so read throughly.
On 11/12/23 I was having my wedding at Rivers Casino. Prior to that I was in search of the appropriate venue that could host, cater, sleep and provide an overall quality experience for 150 guest. Rivers casino/ Landing hotel was able to not only sell me a service, it was a pressure less, no obligation initial meet with so many questions. Fast forward, the sales team not only met me with every bit of detail to expect, the numbers and services they provided us with included efficient and timely responses and highly accurate figures in which I could expect to pay.
After the meet and greets and agreements. We provided a list of ideas, a vision in which we were ready to capture on our big day. These folks executed this task flawlessly. From linens and napkins to floor layouts and bar setups. Cocktail hour planning and signature drinks. We had flowers delivered and setup but they assisted in minor adjustments as a courtesy. Rivers has some amazing folks working on their team. Operations team was essential as they helped to coordinate our wedding parties movements, timing, line ups and how we were to execute entrances as well as exits. The constant check ins and follow ups with us was unanimously agreed upon and seen as beneficial.
The food service was profound. At our tasting I made some critiques and alterations that the kitchen was very receptive of. When it came to the big day, the dinner came out with every addition and alteration made. It surpassed the standard, and was perfect. We chose Salmon, Steak, Gnocchi with mashed potatoes two ways.
The Landing staff for the hotel included desk people all shifts, custodial staff and cleaners. Locked doors, lost keys and plenty of back and forth they were there for us.
I can't express enough gratitude to all things perfectly done by these supporting individuals. I highly recommend booking your upcoming wedding.

The casino is a good size with enough machines and table games to have fun for a whole weekend. There are live bands every Friday and Saturday and they are top notch. This was our second trip to Saratoga. We are on a mission to visit every major racetrack, especially the ones where Chad, Todd, and Brad race. It was a beautiful day and we got autographs and met all the trainers including Chad Brown, Linda Rice, and Jenna Antonucci. We made sure to stop by the Big Red Spring. It was disgusting, I didn't expect it to be carbonated. It tasted like carbonated metal water, RJ said it was "ok". We were told that it's an acquired taste and that it's good luck so down the hatch it went before we placed all our bets! We pretty much broke even at the end of the day so maybe it helped us a little bit, at least we weren't in the negative. Saratoga is our favorite racetrack by far. The grounds are beautiful and they have plenty of drinks and concessions all over the property. It’s always a beautiful day at Saratoga!

If you don't like gambling don't go here. But even if you do like gambling I would suggest you limit yourself to a few dollars, certainly don't borrow money to bet here. Easy to get in, regardless of time of day. You may have to park extremely far if you’re looking for free parking. Food options are limited to mostly warm food which on a hot day may not be desirable. Otherwise fun to watch horses race and plenty of places to stand.

We loved the track and the grounds overall, the thing we had issues with was the 3 days in the turf terrace clubhouse. The view was spectacular, but there wasn't any room to move around. The tables were so packed together you were constantly bumping the person behind you when you tried to get up from the table, and if you were on the inside of the table, everyone had to get up and walk into the narrow aisle to let you out. It was like they crammed an extra table in each row of the seating areas. The food was decent, service was okay. Other than the over packed clubhouse, Saratoga is the one of the best tracks we've ever been to.

Great experience, I recommend doing this at least once in your life. Concession stands a great. They have so many different types of foods. I recommend reserving a table in advance in case it does rain. At least you're under some cover. Saratoga is a vibe of its own. The experience is enjoyable and there is something there for everyone from food to shopping to picnic tables! It pays to bring your cooler of water on the family days and your fancy hat on date days! Horses are beautiful, not my form of entertainment to watch animals run for human pleasure, but the crowd and ambiance is the draw!

Saratoga Race Course is a fun place to spend a couple hours or an entire day. One may picnic on the grounds, enjoy races from the clubhouse grandstand and roam around the area in between races. You may bring in your own food and beverages or purchase them from one of several vendors on site. The best part is seeing the magnificent thoroughbreds and the excitement of the races.

Going to the horse races in fun. You can get into the stands early and watch the jockeys exercise the horses. We also took a guided tour of the grounds. Very informative. You have to leave around 9 or so then the track officially opens for the day around 10. During this time we went across the street to the racing hall of fame museum. By the time we got finished there the track was open and full of people having a great time.
Located in the heart of the city, Saratoga Spa State Park is a popular spot for visitors looking for a range of activities and amenities. The park features two golf courses, several mineral springs and pools, hiking trails, and more. In the winter months there are also snowshoeing and ice skating opportunities.
This is a huge tranquil park with something for everyone! This park is easily accessible with plenty of parking. You'll fall in love with the paths and trails that snake through this historic land. Bike rentals, golf, tennis courts , BBQ areas and restrooms will give you plenty to do. The park is also the home of two famous museums, the automobile museum and the museum of ballet.
Pro Tip: Do not exceed posted speed limits while in the park.

when you hear you are going tasting and to bring a cup, the last thing you think of is water. We showed up at a large beautiful park. The buildings on this complex look like the old Greek education centers. The buildings are red stone with awesome looking arches that give the illusion that they go on forever. This park has a number of different springs all with different flavors. History says it is believed that the limestone bedrock cracked and allowed the water to come up in different places through different minerals setting up their unique tastes. The Iroquois natives believed that the water had natural healing properties which was later passed down to the European settlers. Most of the water is naturally carbonated but there are at least 2 that are not if you don't like that sort of thing (like me!!!) Walking around it makes you think about how much you take water for granted. I turn on the faucet and water comes out. But that is not the way that it was for people 100 years ago. They had to search for water and know that it was healthy to drink. These special waters with their high mineral contents kill bacteria and make the water safe to drink (let's not talk about the tastes!!!). Wondering from spring to spring is like a thirsty treasure hunt, never knowing what you get until you taste it! This is an adventure that has to be tried at least once. Beautiful place to come with family, dogs, alone. Trails for running, biking, and walking, places to picnic, gorgeous architecture, celebrate events. There's a creek, mineral spring geyser, just a great way to spend time out in nature.

Lived here 10 years ago for a little over a year and had no idea what this place really was. While visiting decided to actually walk around and was extremely pleased with the beauty of the park! The paths around are fantastic and offer incredible views, beware the trails can get extremely muddy. The perfect place for quiet reflection and just to enjoy the nature. Very cool to see the different springs and the way the mineral rich waters have changed the landscape. If you've got a free hour or so would recommend it!

Beautiful park in Saratoga. Park offers many different activities. Lots of walking trails and springs to see! Very cool spot to stop at as you make your way up north! Pet friendly, lots of parking, and clean restrooms. Small entry fee but worth it as park and facilities are kept very clean.

Mineral springs tasting is major part of the experience. Taking free tour at environmental center is highly recommended since guide explains what mineral content to expect from each spring. You can get some sort of hiking in Ferndell section of the park with some beautiful views of hemlocks.

Last night I wanted to Saratoga to see the grateful Dead for the last time. Last year touring it was really crowded. Took us 45 minutes to an hour to get parking and we waited in line over an hour or better. Missed 45 minutes of the first set but once we got inside they put on an excellent show. Really enjoyed myself. Very crowded and think of the sold out 40,000 or better a crowd that size. I think they need to get a little bit more staff and get their act together. Get people through the lines. I don't miss the show after spending a lot of money for the ticket and getting there

Surreally beautiful. The spring water bubbling up and out is a wild thing to witness. Some of the springs are natural water completely clean tasting, others infused with natural compounds add flavors of high iron and salt with heavy sulfuric odor. This is a beautiful place protected as a natural park removed from commercial exploitation and rightfully so.

Came here in the winter. Lots of things to see, specially the water springs. You can plan a whole day to visit here. Its better to park down by Polaris spring then it’s easier to reach to most of the spring without long hike. Spring water taste like lemonade and it’s really good.

First visit to NY. The reviews looked good so decided to visit. Definitely wasn't disappointed. The park is excellent for walking especially on a bright sunny day in February. Got to visit the spring in the centre of the park. Would highly recommend a visit. I'm sure the park looks even better in the summer but still looks good on a day where there is snow on the ground.

Beautiful park with lawn and pavilion seating. We bought our tickets online and enjoyed it so much we went to a second concert 3 weeks later. Highly recommend pavilion seats as we had thunderstorms at the last concert. Pavilion seating has its own restrooms, food and beverages.

Such a beautiful park with so much to see and explore, especially in the fall! I highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a nice place to enjoy a picnic or if you're just looking to go for a scenic walk or hike.

They have some very great taste in water at this park. Filled up to 7 gallon containers to bring back to Niagara Falls. We will definitely be back in this park and we will definitely get some more water.

We found this stunning grove on a -1 F February day. Trekked to all corners aided by sunshine&daydreams. The park became a living de Chirico painting in grayscale.

Victoria Pool was great. Get there when it opens as there’s already a line by 10 AM & it can be tricky to get a chair. $8 cash or card. They have a cool book case with options to read if you don’t have anything. A bar with food outside, very convenient. The water is lovely. Gets a little dirty (overstuffed trash, bathrooms) by end of day but altogether a great swim with spring water and easy parking. Would definitely go back!

Congress Park is a vast and landscaped green space in downtown Saratoga Springs, NY. The park features several springs that give the city its name, as well as lush gardens and statuary. It's a great place to take a walk or relax in the sun.
Wonderful park in the center of Saratoga Springs. Has multiple springs and fountains. Nicely landscaped.
Plenty of parking around the area. A perfect place to relax or to get away from the busyness of the day.
Multiple areas to sit. Plenty of space to run around for the kids or dogs.
Very interesting if you’d like history.

A lovely place, very pretty, quiet when I went, and a place I'd love to visit again. We tried out the different spring waters here. I wouldn't recommend it too much, the water at the state park just down the road is what you're looking for. All great nonetheless!

The day we were in Saratoga Springs it rained non stop. Despite the rain we still went to the park to see it. The ducks were amusing. The park is very nice with beautiful vantage points along the path. We did try the water from the 2 fountains. Can’t say I’m a fan of the flavor, but it was interesting to see.

We visited in spring and the park was incredibly lush, and well kept. There was a unique vibe about it on a Sunday. Kids can feed the ducks, safe spaces to run and there are some of Saratoga’s famous springs surrounding the park.

Congress Park is always a perfect experience.
This evening was extra special because it was my birthday. We had spent the evening at a restaurant in Saratoga springs, and then enjoyed a walk in the park.
I love that there are so many things to look at, including beautiful fountains and the amazingly historically preserved carousel.
Spencer Trask and his family are basically the founding family for Saratoga. There is a lovely statue dedicated to their prolific giving and generous spirit.
As we left the park we saw what looked like a flash mob dancing and singing. What it turned out to be was a proposal! It was an amazing experience that happens quite often in this park. It's a perfect location for those kinds of memories.
The weather was perfect so it was an amazing walk in the park and a perfect moon for a perfect ending to a perfect evening with my perfect love of my life.
Happy Birthday to me!
I'm a very lucky person.

Gorgeous park with a Carousel
Our first stop in Saratoga Springs was to the Visitor information centre (across the street from Congress Park), and the lovely ladies there advised us to check out the Park.
We checked it out right away.
The park is gorgeous, well landscaped, beautiful gated entrance. The park has a lovely walking trail to explore it all. There are a number of sculptures, ponds, and a creek running through it. The main attraction is the Spring water fountains that many tourists come to to try the natural spring water that the city is famous for.
There is a carousel within the park that was carved by Marcus Charles Illinois. As avid lovers of carousels, we wanted to take a ride, but the carousel is cash only and we didn’t have any cash on us.
Plan to bring cash if you visit so you can ride the carousel.
The Italian Gardens at one end are beautiful and have a number of statues.
There are bird houses throughout the park.
This is a gorgeous first stop when you visit Saratoga, but don’t forget to check out the Saratoga Springs History Museum on property as well. This park would also be a great location to enjoy a picnic lunch.
There is parking inside the park – but it is limited and very tightly monitored. If you park in a spot that is not authorized you will get a ticket within minutes of parking.

Such a beautiful park with rich history, it makes for the perfect early morning walk or afternoon stroll. I definitely recommend taking a rest on one of the many benches in the park so you can relax and take in all the beauty it has to offer!

Great place to sit and rest the legs after walking the main strip in Saratoga Springs. What a happy home for a flock of black ducks! The fountains offer plentiful habitat for these waterfowl, but they seem to enjoy human company more than you would expect. One duck was very interested in my camera! If you’re into close encounters with the avian kind, this is the place to be.

Congress Park in Saratoga Springs is a delightful urban oasis that seamlessly blends history, natural beauty, and recreational activities. Strolling through the park's manicured gardens and tree-lined paths is a serene experience, providing a respite from the bustling city. The picturesque lake, adorned with elegant fountains and charming swan boats, adds a touch of whimsy. The park's historic landmarks, such as the Canfield Casino and the War Memorial, lend a sense of grandeur and cultural significance. With ample green spaces for picnics, a delightful carousel, and a charming pavilion, Congress Park offers something for everyone, making it a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike.

What a lovely park. Right off Broadway, beautiful and peaceful. Lots of cute baby ducks! I even saw a yellow one zoomin hard in that pond & a couple I met said there are never yellow ones! Lots of mineral water spring fountains to check out, a carousel, benches, etc. Meander over to Caroline street for a drink after :) just lovely at dusk!
Howe Caverns is an underground wonder featuring unique limestone formations, a lake, and guided tours. The cavern was discovered when Lester Howe noticed cold air blowing up from the ground where his cow stood in a neighbor's pasture. Visitors can easily purchase tickets online for tours and explore the gift shop for souvenirs. It's recommended to dress warmly as it gets chilly down there. The experience is highly recommended for families with kids who love rocks and caves.
Cool spot to visit! Very organized tour in a colorful cave and a fun boat ride included inside and then you walk back out the same way, friendly staff that takes you around. The group size was around 20-30 when I went (a few months ago around the Labor Day break).
There's also a secret cave nearby but I didn't have time to go there this time, will have to come back again in the future!
Book the tickets online in advance to reserve the time you like, they recommend coming 30 minutes early but we ended up getting here late (from fixing a flat tire on the way) by 10 minutes and they took us to our group to catch us up right away, great experience overall and I'd definitely recommend it to others. You do have to wait a bit when walking around to wait for the group but not too bad.

10/10 would recommend to anyone! The caverns are amazing and the commentary from our tour guide was fantastic. This was the last stop on a mini road trip for us and we were so impressed by the experience. It's beautiful. Our tour was thankfully very small (9 of us) but other tours passing us was very large and the guide said they go up to 36 people per group. We just happened to be lucky, but keep that in mind. We went on a random Wednesday afternoon at 245 pm and was very happy with the small group. If you're anywhere near here, it's worth the stop. Oh, its very cold, bring something warm.

Went with family (of 5) all adult but far more better for kids especially. So much fun and very useful information can be absorbed from the tour guides (it is only done through guided tour) we still loved it. *Be mindful of a ton of information to be coming at you* Our guided tour was done by Betsy, and we loved it!!
It’s 52° down there so be prepared for a bit chilly weather down there. Also wear sneakers- a bit slippery from all the little dripping water (it’s natural)
TICKET MUST BE BOUGHT ONLINE *beforehand* and they’re also open on specific days so don’t drive for over 2hrs or more without online booking! The tour is 1hr and 30min long, and very on time so if you’re not there at least exactly at the reserved time then you WILL miss your reservation. No wait time unless you arrive too early
Humayra Binte Amin — Google review
Buying tickets online was easy and effortless, we got there alittle late due to monsoon rains that day, just made our tour. You can’t bring bags in the tour with you so we choose to do the gift shop after the tour, but we didn’t realize that the gift shop closed early, so when our tour was done the gift shop was closed, that was a huge bummer for my daughter she couldn’t get rocks. I took my 6 year old daughter who loves rocks and caves! She loved it! Definitely wear a jacket and pants, it’s freezing down there. I went here as a kid, and it was time to carry the tradition down to the next generation. Tour guides were informative and nice, our tour was a bit rushed, you couldn’t just stop and admire the cave, you had to look while keep moving. The tour guide stops at important areas but just felt rushed. Most of the attractions around the place were closed, so we didn’t really get the whole effect of the place but would go again in a few years.

We went here as part of a vacation where we were camping near this area.
The cave tour was fantastic. It lasted just long enough that the kids remained interested in what was going on the majority of the time, and there were plenty of different things to see in the cave that kept them involved.
The short boat ride at the end was also very fun, and broke up the walking portions nicely while providing a different experience.
I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area, though you'll want to make sure you're not claustrophobic (though I suppose that should go without saying on any cave tour).

I grew up in upstate NY and used to love going here as a child. Just went as an adult and I LOVED it! Our tour guide was fantastic and had a hilarious sense of humor. Made every minute interesting. The caves themselves were so beautiful! Loved all the different colored lights, and especially enjoyed the boat ride. It was breathtaking! Will absolutely visit again.

This place was really cool I didn't know if I was going to like it as much as I did this was my first time in a cave. The tour is awesome there is all kinds of awesome things to see and it's just a different feeling being over a hundred feet underground. The boat ride was just the top and all. Our tour guide April was top-class very intelligent right on point with everything. April probably the best tour guide they have. They also have this awesome other tour will you go cave spelunking in a place that they just opened up to the public after a hundred years that is my next visit. All in all this is a very family-friendly , they have a small cafeteria on site with an eating area anda gift shop and fudge store.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the motel and took a tour for our anniversary recently. We both haven’t been since we were kids, and had been saying for a while that we should go again. I’m so glad we did. We got a king bed room and it was a lot bigger than we were expecting. It was very clean and the bed was extremely comfy. We also got a little goodie bag in our room! We did the Tour & Stay package which came with a ½ pound of their homemade fudge & one large bag of gem mining rough that we did the next day at home. The cave is the same temperature all year so don’t be worried about going in the winter! We ended up having the last cave tour of the day and were lucky enough to get Betsy as our tour guide. She was very nice and welcoming. During the tour she kept us all laughing and intrigued. You could tell the caverns mean a lot to her throughout the tour and I absolutely love that. Thanks for the wonderful stay, we will definitely be back this summer, hopefully with some friends.

Our family (kids age 9 and 6) had a great time. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the caves are magnificent, and the motel was clean and nice. There was a freak late-April snowstorm and a snowplow team came early to clear the parking lots and roads. Excellent customer service, would recommend.

Nice above ground facilities! Beautiful underground cave! Wish the Cafe had been open past 4pm when our tour finished. Will need to be able to walk a mile and climb a few sets of stairs for the cave tour. Don't forget a sweatshirt or light jacket for the tour. Great place for families!

It’s was a fun and cool activity. The tour guide was knowledgeable and funny. It was a fair distance of a walk not too long not too short. One thing that is important to remember for the summer days, is to bring a sweater and long pants because it’s a constant 52 degrees down there year round. If you do forget they have a gift shop that sell warm sweaters and hoodies. Besides that happy exploring 😊.

Had a great visit with my 13y/o granddaughter. Took in the afternoon cave tour and really enjoyed ourselves. Purchased tickets online ahead of time without any difficulty.
Trip consists of both a walking tour and a small boat trip on a cavern lake. “Gondola” type pole push and guides hands on the sides of the cavern walls.
On-site cafe, candy shop, and gift shop. 3 hours total maximum.

A very fun experience! The caverns are well lit and maintained. The tours are decent sizes, but not overwhelming and the tour guides do great jobs making sure everyone is included. The tour is mainly walking with several sections of stairs, but there is a smaller section where you are seated on small boats. Overall, I think a whole family would have a great time together! There is a pretty large size gift shop in the upper levels of the facilities.

I'm a little claustrophobic so that was interesting especially the last part of the tour where they take you through a very tight maze. Funny thing is it ended up being my favorite part. I also loved when we were on the boat and they turn the lights off in the cave so you could see how dark it is. This was an amazing tour and I want to come back with the rest of my family. Definitely would recommend it to everyone of all ages

They've added some different lighting and new twists on some of the stories associated with the cavern. It's worth the drive for the views of beautiful upstate NY, and the cave tour is fun.
Get some fudge while you're there and DEFINITELY try the cave Aged cheddar.

I went here on a class trip many years ago (15 years ago). I still think about this place from time to time because of how cool it was. I remember the tour guides being very nice and the place itself was very well-maintained. This is a place that everyone should go to at least once.

Truly unique among bucket list experiences, Howe Caverns afford one the opportunity to not only descend into the earth but go back into time over 350 million years. A combination of geology, biology and history, the caverns are a prime example of the natural beauty residing below our planet as well on it. I best enjoy them when I can quietly stroll among them at my own pace, considering their truly ancient age and the fascinating processes that carved and sustain these natural wonders. My one wish is if more personalized/private tours were available at similar rates to the public ones to truly appreciate these magnificent formations.
Naturally formed caverns with waterfalls 100 ft. below ground, various formations & fossils.
Wonderful cave experience for all ages!!! Bring a rain coat, boots of some sort and a flashlight. While the guide has one and the cave has lights , I found we wanted to see other things and the guide was up ahead or talking to other guests. Phone lights wasn't enough. There is a really epic waterfall at the end of the cave!!!

This was my first cave tour in a long time and it was great! Tour guide was very informational and told the history of the cave. Tour starts with how the cave was "accidently" discovered by two cows in the 1920's. Then you go down over 100 steps into the caves. The cave has colorful lighting to illuminate the best spots in the cave. While the cave doesn't have any really "roomy" spots it does have the 100 foot waterfall at the end, which is one of a kind.
Unlike many other places you can see and touch the walls. On my tour they even shut off the lights to see what is like without the lights! Passage way to waterfall can be narrow and wet, but that adds to the authenticity of the tour. If in the area definitely worth seeing. Tour is about an hour long.
Gift shop and tour is cash only.

There are a lot of stairs to walk down to get in and back out of the cave. We had two smaller children on our tour. The guide and others in our group were very patient with them being slower, which was fabulous to see. They were very slow at the time that we went, late afternoon. There isn't much to their gift shop. The cave tour wasn't very long. The most impressive part of the tour was the waterfall at the end.

The Secret Caves is a great place to visit for a unique and adventurous experience. The caves are well-maintained and easy to navigate, and the tour guides are very informative and friendly.
The cave tour takes about an hour and covers a variety of different formations, including stalagmites, stalactites, columns, and flowstone. The tour guide provides a lot of information about the geology and history of the caves, and they also share some interesting stories and legends.
One of the things that I loved most about the Secret Caves is that they are not overly commercialized. The caves are still very natural and untouched, and it feels like you're really exploring a hidden gem.
Another thing that I appreciated was that the tour guides were very respectful of the caves and their environment. They made sure that everyone stayed on the marked trails and did not touch any of the formations.
Overall, I had a great time at the Secret Caves. It's a great place to visit for a unique and adventurous experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and educational activity.
Here are a few specific things that I loved about the Secret Caves:
* The caves are well-maintained and easy to navigate.
* The tour guides are very informative and friendly.
* The caves are not overly commercialized and still feel very natural and untouched.
* The tour guides are very respectful of the caves and their environment.
**There are a few stairs involved in the tour, so it may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.
Overall, I highly recommend the Secret Caves for a unique and adventurous experience.

Secret Caverns was a very cool experience. We've been to another local cave in the area, but Secrets Caverns was able to create a more personal feeling adventure. Our tour guide, Matt, was very knowledgeable and funny, and the pace of the tour was not rushed. I would highly recommend checking out Secret Caverns if you're in the central New York location. My one piece of advice would be to make sure you wear proper footwear because it is a bit wet in areas of the caverns.

We had the pleasure of speaking with the owner while waiting for our tour. Great guy with tons of knowledge and experience. The cave is outstanding. Guides are fun to talk to. CASH ONLY. Fun, quirky, one-of-a-kind, multi-generational family business. Tour the natural cave with several underground oddities. Safe, guided 45 minute to an hour tours. Beautiful underground waterfall. The company isn't too strick about things... pretty laid back. :. Nice gift shop/mini museum. Some real treasures in evert direction. Great for kids who can handle walking for a while. Not overly strenuous (~100 stairs). Approximately 45°F tempure. Recommend light jackets, no sandals.
We arrived at SOC a hour before closing in hopes to try out the lazy tubing. Staff aka O’Ryan was incredibly kind. He helped set us up for lazy river tubing. We enjoyed every minute. Couldn’t have asked for more. We paddled with our arms up the river and found a Tarzan swing. There is a strong current underneath the river‘s calm surface. If you decide to use the Tarzan swing -just be ready to swim against the current. Lazy tubing was the perfect ending to our trip. Highly recommend this place and will be returning.

Don't do lazy tubing here. The water was funky and there was nothing lazy about it. The lazy river is part of the Hudson. Had to fight upstream for 50 minutes then float back down the 50 yards to the launch ramp. Super overpriced, it's 35 dollars person. Only stayed 1 hour. Staff was friendly so there is 1 star.

This is an outfitter that provides guided whitewater raft and kayak trips on the Sacandaga River. The river is dam controlled, with releases nearly every day, so it's one of the few whitewater rivers with reliable water during the summer. The trip they offer is more tame that the Hudson Gorge, so it's more suitable for children and those that are new to whitewater. The outdoor center is conveniently located at the take-out (the confluence of the Hudson and Sacandaga Rivers), so there's no drive back to your car at the end of the trip.

CASH ONLY! $20 per adult for admission and $4 for grain cups. This place was awesome! We got there at just before 10 when they opened and did the walk through first as the drive through part didn’t open until 11. We fed giraffes some grain which was amazing! Do that first! The camel stole my cup of grain right out of my hand but it was so cute. Get extra grain just in case. The drive through was great! The deer were so cute and they loved the grain. Unfortunately they also knocked it out of my hand🤣Get extra grain. There were lots of emus and they were obnoxious and pushy about getting into your car so beware! The drive through part took about 45 minutes. It is self guided. The walk through part is hilly and uneven and would be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. This was a last minute trip for us. We were in Schenectady for The Lion King show at Proctor Theater and it was an easy 45min drive up there.

Me and my two friends went to Adirondack Animal Land and had a great time. I wasn't sure of what to expect. If you buy the animal food cups, when the animals approach, hold on with both hands! My friend dropped it and got covered with the food. Lots of Camels, ostriches, llama, alpacas, deer. Zebras cannot be fed ( not sure why), a couple of very friendly donkeys, some pigs. Just be patient because the animals walk in front of cars, takes time to drive through.

We went through the drive through section and got to feed and see the animals. My grandson loved it but watch the birds the stick their heads in the car and peck at the cup of food. The deer will eat of.your hand. We then went in the zoo area which is very nice with a picnic area. You can feed the caged animals in their pens. Climax is feeding the Giraffe carrots by hand. They bend their long necks over the fence to get a nibble.
Great way to spend an afternoon. They start to close up at 3pm section by section and by 4pm it closes. They also have a kiddie ride area.

It was quite nice, a little pricy at $48 for a family of 4 in one vehicle with food for the animals extra. Beware the camels at the entrance, they'll gobble up everyone's food before you even get through the gate. Camels, emu's ostriches, guinea fowl, pigs, various deer alpacas and llamas in a short driving course. Very nice for the kids.

We stopped here on our way to our Air BnB and really were pleasantly surprised! The walking area wasn’t huge but it was a great size for kids. And the animals all seemed happy and well cared for. The best part was the drive through safari. My kids loved having the animals stick their heads in the car, especially the camels and emus. And for a nominal fee you can purchase cups of feed to give to the animals. Just be careful, the camels like to steal cups and the emus can be relentless. There’s also a small gift shop with very reasonable prices and multiple picnic areas. Overall a fun way to pass a few hours.

My first time ever there, definitely not wheelchair or walker friendly, but still managed to be able to see everything. Absolutely love the animals. I felt like a little kid going through the drive-through safari. I absolutely loved it!

Unexceptable enclosures for monkeys, Moscow birds, giraffes, kangaroos and various other common or exotic animals. Not nearly enough space for them to roam and as a zoologist, I can tell they are stressed. The two monkeys in a tiny enclosure with barely any space to climb or roam are attacking each other due to this, the one bit and ripped off the other ones tail. Disgusting conditions, needing to be inspected and investigated in order to change these conditions and improve them. Along with this the speakers that were supposed to play music were broken and constantly having static and screeching noises, that the animals have to endure all the time. None of the animals have enough space when there’s more than enough land unused and large areas of entertainment that are taking up space instead, make the enclosures acceptable for holding life. They live in these conditions 24/7 and it’s inhumane, as a zoologist and someone who is invested in animals well-being I am upset and will try to find ways to make sure this place gets improved. The drive through part was acceptable but regardless the conditions of the animals through the walk-through are unacceptable and disgusting, something needs to be done as soon as possible and I will be reporting to USDA.

Lots of fun. The drive thru safari was a blast. The kids had a great time feeding the animals from the car windows. The walk through part was a bit dated but the kids (5 & 9) had a wonderful time.

Love this place, used to go as a kid now I enjoy going at least once a season as an adult. Very enjoyable and relaxing and is never over crowded. Drive through is my favorite and all the animals look very healthy and happy.
Cozy cottages in a Nordic-inspired resort offering cross-country skiing, forested trails & 2 cafes.
Truly wonderful and exactly as advertised on their website. Friendly, helpful staff, well groomed and lovely trails for all levels, and nice refueling options. We had a XC ski lesson from Richard, who was calm and knowledgeable - highly recommend! We rented equipment and it was an easy process and in great condition. It’s magical and peaceful on the property. All visitors were respectful. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Wonderful facility with great staff. Conditions were absolutely perfect over Presidents' Day weekend. The trails are well laid out and marked and there are great trails for all skill levels. The Kids Club lesson and Reindeer Rally games were a hit with our girls (ages 10 and 7). Highly recommend a visit to Lapland Lake for cross-country skiing!

I felt like I spent the day in a brochure...everything was perfect! Trails were expertly groomed, every staff member was polite and helpful, and COVID protocols were enough to make me feel safe without being onerous. I took a lesson with an experienced instructor who competes internationally. She knew how to adapt for my ability and experience. I needed to get new ski boots and the salesperson in the shop was equally knowledgeable and truly helpful. I can't wait to go back!

Hidden gem! Family owned business personal, friendly service. The cross country trails are amazing, well kept and satisfy all levels of ability from beginner to advanced. Snowshoe trails too. Peaceful location, spectacular scenery and a beautiful lake. Equipment rental on site.

We did not stay there, so I could not rate the rooms. We snuck in for a quick snowshoeing loop. Great little spot, seems like the cross-country skiing trails are well maintained. They've been in business for a long time for a reason, looks like they know what they're doing. We will definitely be back.

LOVE THIS PLACE! The Tupas (cabins) have just enough amenities to make things easy yet do not overdo it so prices stay affordable. The staff are friendly and attentive. The trails are great, well groomed, and well marked. The lake view is incredible! We’ve only been on the weekends and it is never too crowded. Just not enough good things to say!

We had another wonderful stay at Lapland Lake! Probably our 10th stay in the last 13 years. We live 5.5 hours away and can only come once a year and we chose Lapland again. The conditions were perfect. We were there from 1-22-23 to 1-26-23 and it snowed off and on the whole time. We love the little cottages and that you can ski right outside your door. A very unique cross country ski experience. The owners and staff were wonderful as usual! We hope to go back next year.

Lapland Lake is a gem for cross-country skiing! Perfectly groomed trails for skate and classic styles, trails for all ability levels, and surroundings that include a lovely forest plus a lake make this a stunning location. Separate nearby trails for snowshoeing keep the ski trails pristine. The cozy lodge and fully stocked ski shop (and even a heated waxing room) create a relaxing destination, no matter the weather.

Snow chasers paradise! Plenty of snow when everywhere south has none. Honest snow reports, great lodge, and easy-on easy-off trails. There is no cell service at Lapland, so be sure to load your playlists at the lodge which has an excellent public wifi network. Nice little shop with the things you might have forgotten and things you didn’t know you needed! I didn’t try the cafe upstairs, but it exists. They sell beer.
Trails were perfectly groomed and wide. Minimum 10-ft with others wider than that. Very few two-way trails and fantastic trail layout for long meanders. Highly recommend Lapland! I shall return!

Went for Cross-country skiing for our first time. We took a a lesson first and the Instructor gave us the skills we needed to hit the trails on our own and successfully traverse the gorgeous well groomed trails to the lake and through the beautiful pine filled forest. The staff was very knowledgeable, kind, and all around wonderful. Had some delicious hot chocolate from the snack bar/restaurant upstairs and sat by a fire pit outside. We had the best day. Cannot wait to go again.

Great trail system, beautiful wooded environment, well groomed, and very enjoyable, even under sub-par weather/snow conditions we got this weekend. The staff at the lodge are very friendly and helpful, too. I wish we lived closer! :)
(I'm not reviewing the rooms, since we just skied on the trails, and didn't stay in the tupas.)

This is a charming, family run cross country ski center, on a beautiful property.
I have visited twice.
My first time I stayed in a cabin that we absolutely adored. I think it was my favorite cabin ever. Rustic, yet comfy and well designed, I absolutely loved the kitchen space and cooking meals here. This is the cabin that is right across from the ski lodge and a bonus is you get to see the groomer going out and skiers on the trail. You can certainly have a great visit staying off the property too, but the cabins are really special.
The cross country ski instructor was really great, he did challenge us to improve our skills and we were really better for it.
The ski trails are very well groomed, the whole property is well cared for. I do find the topography here to be slightly better suited to advanced beginners and up especially if conditions are icy.
One really special feature is the snowshoe trail. It leads through the woods out to the lake over tiny bridges. It's good to have a trail on snowshoes. I really enjoyed my hike and it let me see some advanced trails I would not get to on skis.
My friend participated in a clinic for skate skiing, and thought the instruction was top notch.
The lodge has a ski shop, a lounge area with a fireplace, and up the stairs is the cafe area which has a great amount of space and lots of light from big windows. The sell sandwiches and soups and baked goods. I thought the red pepper gouda soup was delicious. You can also bring your own food.
I also think this would be a lovely place to visit in summer, especially if you swim at the lake.

Anyela's Vineyards is a standout among the wineries in Skaneateles, offering stunning views and an expansive facility. The vineyard boasts a selection of exceptional reds and whites, with unique flavors that stand out in New York State. Visitors can enjoy live music while savoring wine and taking in the breathtaking scenery of Skaneateles Lake. The friendly and knowledgeable staff add to the inviting atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind with a glass of wine.
Very nice place to sit and have a glass of wine. The view over skaneateles lake is AMAZING! They have bands regularly during the spring and summer months. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable about the wine.

Anyela's Vineyard is the gem of Vineyards in Skaneateles! It is also the only one I am aware of given the high cost of land in the area. This large vineyard offers some great views, a nice facility and the best reds I have ever had in New York State! All of the (4) reds I tried were amazing and unique. The whites were a hit a well and on par or better than most others in the region.
We came at an off peak time of year, but we can see how this location would be packed during prime season. They have a jazz festival with attracts thousands of visitors each year. There is a specialty room (lower level accessed from outside) which is available for parties.
Carter was our wine expert on our visit. From the area and knowledgeable not only about the winery but the lake and geography of the area as well. Who knew it is the finger lake at the highest elevation and boasts some of the cleanest water in the United States. He added interesting insight to our experience. We will return again!
HINT: If you are looking for an excuse to visit the area (Summer concerts and live music along with a Charles Dickenson Christmas Carol events during the weekend (the later in town). The area is beautiful and somewhere worthy of checking out!

Split the red wine flight with my husband (2oz pours so easily shared) and then purchased a bottle of the Cab Franc, along with a bag of pita chips and cheese curds, to enjoy. Very enjoyable and priced right. We'll be back when the weather is nicer to see what the outdoor area is like!

Excellent Winery located in Skaneatlus NY. We visited twice while we were visiting the village of Dickens festival. We bought 4 bottles of wine. 2 reds 2 white. Red: cabaret franc and White: avail. I highly reccomed both. Tasting was both knowledgeable and fun! Thank you. Second time we came to visited we enjoyed sipping on wine and listening to the live music. We definitely will return to Anyelas Vineyards again next time we are in Skaneatlus.

I usually like red wines over white but their white wines were really great. The wine flights were decent pours for 15$ for 4 glasses. It was a nice time and atmosphere. For not really liking wine this is a great place.
David Darrow — Google review
TL/DR over priced and low quality
The wine is average, but definitely over priced. The liquor tasting is terrible. The cheese plate was decent but really for a maximum of two people.
The event space and vibe is cool, most of the tall seating has no backs and is uncomfortable. There is essentially zero AC so definitely dress ready for being hot.
If you decide to come here maybe buying individual glasses of specific wines would be better but the flights are not impressive.
The pizza is the best thing here... That tells you enough about the wine.
You can't get tap water they charge for bottles, or atleast the employees expected us to pay.
We definitely left dissatisfied with 150 dollars less in our pockets.

This winery has an amazing view facing the finger lakes with a patio to sit, drink and eat. It was my first time coming here, so I tried the wine tasting. I loved their wine so much, I bought five bottles to bring home to share with family and friends. Will return this summer!

It’s a great place to taste some wine, listen to music and eat a bit of pizza.
Took a few minutes to figure out where to order food versus get some wine or beer with the various rooms and areas to sit in.
Second and the oddest to me was the security person carrying a side arm with extra clips of ammo. What exactly happened there before or what are they expecting to happen? Trying to make sure that bridal party of Karen’s doesn’t get too crazy. Lol
Gives your wine tasting a slightly different vibe.

Went there on Sun 6/19/22 in the late afternoon with 2 friends and walked in. The female bartender didn't smile and greet me at the bar. While I was waiting for my friends she waited on a man. I asked her questions about the wine flights ($15 for preselected) ($20 for custom). I asked another we question and she was quite rude. My friends ordered wine. I did not and walked the grounds. I am not paying for rude service! The grounds were very weedy. If I was paying for a wedding, I would not be happy.

This 32-acre zoo showcases a variety of native animals, including bears, turtles & lynx.
Been coming to this place since I was very young. It may be on the smaller side, but its a great little zoo. Full of things to see and do. Early is the best time to come; the animals are more active. They have a small play area great for kids. The Wolverine was super active today. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

My family went to Zoo New York for the Earth Day event yesterday have been a couple times. It's a nice little Zoo and has some fan favorites like bears (black bears), bald eagle & otters. They're big on conservation which is awesome. We've only been in the Winter and now early Spring, so the animals weren't particularly active which is understandable. We can tell there will be more once the weather warms up, like the butterfly house. The pricing is very reasonable and we'll be frequent visitors.

Smaller zoo. Many of the animals when we went were not on display (the children’s farm being one). Very cool to see local animals up close.

Overall experience was good! It's not very big and has a focus on North American local wildlife with a decent variety of animals. That being said the animals were so fun to watch and the staff is so passionate about their work. We spoke with Keeper Brenda for a long time after her wolf conservation presentation and she was so nice and obviously loves her job, the animals, and knowledge of conservation efforts. Talking to her was the highlight of our trip.

Alright so I love zoos but this one was really disappointing.
1) They don’t post the time for the elk feeding and then when I got there at 11:50 and asked to purchase 2 tickets to feed the elk and then I was informed that they stopped selling tickets for that for the day (their hours are 10-5, so I was surprised they stop so early in the day), they said they only sell tickets for it from 10:45 to 11:46 and then the feeding is at 12. Which whatever I missed it, but then at 12:20 the one zookeeper had at least 10 cups of carrots that he was just chucking over the side of the fence to the elk, that was already prepared for visitors.
2) Then we went into the reptile house and out of the 6 enclosures inside 2 of them were empty and closed for renovation.
3) We went to the butterfly house at like 12 when we first arrived and it was locked, and I was told the zookeeper was probably on lunch and then I tried again an hour and a half later after I was told they’d be back between 12:30 and 1 and it was still locked. So we ended up leaving without getting to see the butterflies.
4) The petting zoo/farm animal area was also locked and not open for visitors just like the butterfly house, so we left without seeing them too.
5) They also had the wolverine and owl, and otter inclosure empty
6)They also said there was a pressed penny machine online and there was none.
There was quite a bit of play ground area and stuff for small kids to play around. Not bad for little kids but overall not a good zoo. I honestly wouldn’t advertise it as a zoo it’s more of a public park with the animals kinda like a second thought. Definitely not worth the $12 a person. Considered asking for my money back because of how disappointing it was but I didn’t even bother.

I have gone to this zoo for 52 years. I have pictures of myself in this zoo since I was 3 years old. It has changed over the years. I will always remember the sound of the peacock's that they used to have. Now the zoo is NY animal habitat only. I dont live in NY anymore but I visit every time I am home. I enjoy seeing the animals and taking photos.

So awesome! The exhibits are great, lots of good info, and the habitats are incredible. The zoo does lots of activities, nice gift shop.
Their concessions are very limited, there’s hot dogs and nachos and that’s pretty much it for “real” food.
I wish there were some educational books or coloring books about the animals, but the stuffed animals are ADORABLE.

My husband and I love visiting zoos when we are on vacation, so we had to come to this one on our way home. There were some cool interactive things to help kids learn and some nice exhibits, but overall, the value for the price was disappointing. Many of the exhibits were closed or empty. The butterfly house was locked and inaccessible. A lot of the animals were not visible. We did get to see a bald eagle and porcupine pretty close up which was cool. The grounds were clean and well maintained and the animals seemed to be well cared for.
Sarah Malczewski — Google review
With there being trash in certain spots, and most of the enclosures looking run down. My family did not have a good time. Albeit it was mothers day and my wife got in for free, which respectfully that was nice. It is such a small place and has maybe a handful of sad looking animals. I would hardly consider this a zoo. These animals need to be relocated and this land needs to be used differently. Will not return. However, the animals are still adorable. Maybe spend the 9 bucks to just jog there along the trails and have the animals near you? Takes about 30 mins to go around the entire zoo....walking extremely slow mind you.
Marcus Ruedin — Google review
Definitely a small zoo, but still an interesting place to see some native animals up close. I was glad to see that there wasn't anything too exotic, from an animal welfare standpoint, especially considering the harsh winters in this area. Nice place to walk around with my 6 yr old and fun to read about the animals, especially the stories of how they came to the zoo, like Pandora's comical story we laughed about! We also recently saw a wild barred owl and we love to go to Tug Hill in the evenings and call to them. We hear them so often that it was cool to see one much closer up, given all we have learned of them. Only thing I think definitely needs attention is the tanks inside! They were full of algae and a couple dead fish (pictured). The turtle was a kind I've never seen or heard of before, so it was cool to see that and learn how common they actually are. But someone really needs to be keeping up with tank maintenance!
Emmalee Jantzi — Google review
There are only some animals. Though we did find the park to be a good workout. It was neat being able to check out the animals that they do have. There seems to be some construction happening in some areas. They didn't have the wolverines. The white snow owl seemed hungry? Upset? I'm not sure tho when we were there it sounded off to us even when I dbl backed after a little bit.
Saw what seems to be some improvements. I wish, though, that the zoo was more like it used to be a few years ago. I mentioned to my daughter how it feels more like a farm now.

Fort Ontario State Historic Site is a 19th-century fortress with an intriguing star-shaped design. It houses military structures and walls, all of which offer breathtaking views of Lake Ontario. The site is well-preserved, and the exhibitions showcasing period relics narrate the area's rich history. Besides, historians dressed in traditional apparel offer insights about the soldiers' lives stationed here over many years. A nominal admission fee applies to visitors, but it's worth every penny given the experience on offer.
Love local history! I work nearby and always wanted to check this place out - so happy we finally did!
Admission prices are reasonable. Staff are dressed in period attire and very informative. Buildings are staged, have informational videos and the outside is a beautiful walk, below and above.

If you're a history buff, this is a neat place to spend a couple hours wandering around. The staff/ volunteers were dressed in Civil War period clothing and were knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions about the fort. There was a musket demonstration, and visitors have access to most of the buildings and areas. If there is a gift shop, it was not open the day we were there visiting. There is a historical cemetery behind the fort dating back to 1776/1783. Was sombering to see gravestones of soldiers who lost their lives for their country.
Overall it was interesting to see the long and varied history of this fort.

This is a great experience for the history buff. One could easily spend a couple of hours wandering around the old fort. There are some pretty great views from the tops of the ramparts around the fort of Lake Ontario. Even my 14 year old son had fun checking out all the displays in each of the buildings. We arrived late in the day, not long before close but were told if we came earlier there would be more re-enactments throughout the day and the staff we spoke to was very knowledgeable about the fort and it’s history.

Nice Fort they are trying their best to Preserve. I loved the iPads which gave you access to extra information on artifacts. I'm sure during bigger events there are more people there to provide information. When we went there was just one person in the gift shop and one person taking admission fees. We were lucky that a couple of the part-time summer hired groundskeepers were knowledged and answered questions and provided information to make the self tour more interesting.

Nestled along the scenic shores of New York's historic landscape, Fort Sackets offers visitors a breathtaking backdrop for memorable experiences. During my recent visit, I was immediately enchanted by the captivating sunset that graced the horizon, casting hues of orange and pink across the sky. It truly stole the show and left a lasting impression.
While the sunset was undeniably the highlight of my visit, I couldn't help but wish for a more immersive experience within the fort itself. The walking path, adorned with informative signs indicating the location of various points of interest, provided some insight into the fort's history. However, I longed for more tangible remnants of the past to explore and engage with.
Nevertheless, despite the lack of extensive fort exploration, the panoramic views offered from Fort Sackets are unparalleled. The serene beauty of Lake Ontario stretching out before me, coupled with the warmth of the fading sun, created a truly magical ambiance. It's a place where time seems to stand still, inviting visitors to pause and appreciate the natural splendor that surrounds them.
While Fort Sackets may lack in-depth historical immersion, its enchanting sunset vistas make it a must-visit destination for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike. Whether you're seeking a tranquil spot to unwind or a picturesque setting to capture the beauty of nature, Fort Sackets delivers an unforgettable experience.

This was the first time to visit the area coming from the south US and going into Canada. Getting the tickets was quick but a bit complicated on which one to get. The girl at the window was good to help us out understand the differences. The boat ride was quick and smooth. The island itself was gorgeous. My family and I spent 1 hour there and it was too short. You can spend the entire day until 5 or so for the same price. The building are gorgeous and the history very interesting. I definitely recommend doing this and spend more than just one hour here.

It’s a beautiful place! You have to take a boat
ride across the lake. There are stairs. They have food on the property. You can get married there.

We visited Boldt Castle as a part of the 5 hour cruise. The cruise stops over here for 2 hours to see the castle. It was a bit of a wait to clear US immigration. Once you are inside, it's quite spectacular to see all the views, architecture, and the way the castle is furnished. It's quite a sad history behind the castle, and some parts are left unfinished. 2 hours minus the time for immigration was not enough time to completely see everything but just right. Would have loved to spend more time. If you have a sweet tooth, don't miss the little ice cream store there. They serve amazing ice cream. The quality & quantity are out of this world.

Boldt Castle in the 1000 Islands is a five-star gem. The romantic views of the St. Lawrence River and its captivating islands make it a must-visit destination for couples and history enthusiasts alike. The castle's historical significance adds a layer of intrigue, showcasing the grandeur of an era gone by.
What's equally impressive is the ongoing restoration efforts that breathe new life into this architectural marvel. The commitment to preserving its heritage is evident in every detail. Boldt Castle offers a glimpse into the past while promising a future filled with enchanting experiences. Five stars for the perfect blend of romance, history, and preservation!

Wonderful place to hang out for the day! The people that run the place created a self guided walk through tour that is very easy to follow along with in the app and in person.
Can get crowded at times, but it's a whole castle so just go explore! So many interesting things you can look at here

This place was so amazing! The castle is being restored and much has, but there are rooms that they have left to show the progress, which is very interesting.
Boat tour over was fun as well, lots of cool things to see...
Highly recommend this one to see while in the area.

It was fun, but it was really crowded, and a bit chaotic. However, after touring the castle we found a quiet bench to sit on along the water's edge and watch the boats cruise by. The castle itself is fascinating, especially the higher up you climb into the unfinished areas. The yacht house was worth the extra ticket, the old boats, engines, and the building itself were amazing (if you like that sort of thing).

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Boldt Castle on Saturday. The Bridge Authority has done a wonderful job in restoring this great piece of history. The property inside and outside is so well taken care of by the staff. We were blessed by the experience to see not only what has been restored, but also to be able to see what is still in process. We have toured many places over the years and have never seen the behind the scene look at what goes on to restore a building of this magnitude. It was truly a gift to be included in the experience of the love George had for his wife in building this structure for her.

Keeping History alive is essential for future generations. The restoration in progress is amazing! Such a beautiful love story 💕 I felt so at peace exploring and learning more while I was there. A destination to remember for this Pin Up Model as a photo shoot is in my future here! Definitely Kimmy-Sue Tested and Approved 💋🇺🇲

This is a beautiful castle with a very sad story. While walking around the Heart Island , you can feel how great is the effort in building this castle and also to keep it as a museum grade attraction. Thanks for all the people who worked behind the scene. This is a place that I always want to go back to visit again. I enjoyed the 1000 Island cruises too !

Such a beautiful place to visit! Our relative brought us here as we were visiting the region, and we had such a lovely time here. They’ve done a fantastic job restoring it. The staff is friendly and gives lots of info on the property. There’s also an audio tour you can do via Wi-Fi on your phone. Definitely worth visiting!

Awesome experience to visit such a magnificent house. Plenty of history to learn about throughout the entire island. There are snacks available on site along with washrooms. Would highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area.

Beautifully maintained. I enjoyed the history of this place. The yacht house could have been better. Definitely worth a visit. The cafe had great pretzels. This will take about 3-4 hours to enjoy. Check it out if you are in the area.

We opted for the castle and yacht house tour on a September weekday. These are self guided tours with the option to use a free tour app. For those who aren't tech savvy, there are plenty of placards describing items throughout the castle. There is also a short video about the family and history of the property. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, willing to answer questions.

It was such an amazing place to visit and see how beautifully it has been restored and decorated to period!!! The history is tragic, but thankfully, it can still be enjoyed by the many people who visit. We will definitely stop over again and spend more time enjoying the beautiful grounds and castle.

We took Uncle Sam ferry to visit this magnificent castle. Uncle Sam ferry operations are quite efficient and reasonably priced.
There is so much to see on this small island, which is also called Heart Island. Plsn to spend at least a couple of hours to fully enjoy it and learn the history behind it. They show a 16-minute long documentry, which is quite informative.
Gardens are beautiful and so is inside of castle.

The Boldt Castle & Boldt Yacht House are great historical sites to visit with family, friends, and whomever! It might not be a Disney Castle but this is a real castle and boat house that you can thoroughly explore. You'll find the multiple pleasure boats and racing crafts in the yacht house, the bowling alley and play stage in the kid's play house, the swimming pool, the multiple rooms, the power house, the servants' quarters, and so many more. Great place to explore when you get the chance!

Amazing castle and castle grounds!
Such a tragic story but what a gift to people.
Looking forward to its complete restoration!
Phenominal work so far, you can feel the care and love tha has been put to restore every detail that was so tragicly lost.

The castle is beautiful. There are 4 floors totally redone and areas that weren't finished as a side by side comparison. The grounds are all nicely kept. There was a wedding even taking place. It's a very popular place! Spend an easy hour there which is perfect as the boldt yacht club runs a ferry every hour to and from. 30 for 2 people. Only runs to and from the castle.

In the 1970’s, my family visited Boldt Castle. I was so excited to return for the first time since then. We stayed in Watertown for the night, then drove to Alexandria Bay. It was all better than I expected! In the 70’s, the castle was in ruins. I honestly had no idea it was being renovated as this was a last minute addition to a trip in the Adirondack Mountains. It was worth taking a day to see the castle and yacht house and the area!
We took a boat over to Boldt Castle around 11:30 am on a Thursday. The boat ride was between five and ten minutes. We walked through the castle and around the grounds and spent 3 wonderful hours. We had a quick lunch at the cafe, then took a shuttle over to the Yacht House. That may have taken 15 minutes to tour (the boat ride was about 5 minutes). All so interesting! We walked through a few shops and were in our car and heading home by 4 pm.
I can’t wait to return to the area and spend more time here. Next time I would stay in Alexandria Bay for a few days!

Highlight of our trip to the thousand islands. I definitely recommend visiting Boldt Castle. What a beautiful Castle, rich in history and lovely grounds to explore and take pictures.

Great place to visit and wander around. Lots of things to see all over the island for those who love peering back into history. Highly recommended. If your Canadian, it's easier crossing the border and taking the ferry from Alexandria Bay. This way you don't waste time going through customs when you get on the island.
Tons of fun for the whole family! Lots of interactive exhibits, a jungle gym, and fun educational areas where the kids can learn about water. The staff were also very friendly, and knowledgeable. We ran out of time before we ran out of things to do.

Geared for younger crowd. My kids are 8 and 11 and they were bored. Drove an hour to be there for the 1 o'clock entry. We left for 130.
We did not see any of the shows so not able to comment on those. However my daughter did get to see the mermaid. Who was fantastic with interacting with the crowd as well as individuals taking pictures with her.

Our family had a great time interacting with the aquatic animals such as the starfish and hermit crabs. We enjoyed the various interactive stations set up for kids to play and learn too. Overall, a fun experience and we would go again!

We had a pretty amazing experience thanks to Corey Stitt. Note to self and to others. Buy tickets online ahead of time, and plan your trip. As well as be prepared to be separated from your kids for like two areas. I don't mean it in a bad way I just mean there is tunnels and stuff for them to see fish closer and to get onto the ship/slide, my son always has a great time here, but if you would like a less busy scene go after March break.

This was a pit stop on our road trip.
We weren't expecting something big, and yes, indeed, the Aquatarium is pretty small. However, it is so perfectly created, with enormous attention to details. It was a pleasure to spend here an hour or so.
There is a place for kids to play and give some energy away.
And you can also watch “shows” - feeding time for animals.
Super welcoming and friendly staff, they all acted as we were guests in their house.
Souvenir shop, the cafe at the corner and a restaurant on the second floor.
Roman — Google review
This is hands down one of the greatest family memories we have ever made. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to engage with our kids. I recommend this to anyone with children of all ages. Ignore the other reviews that tell you this place wasn’t stimulating for their children- we could have spent an entire day in the water table room alone. If your children (of any age) aren’t completely in love with this place, that’s likely a reflection of your parenting style, not here. We enjoyed this more than Ripley’s Aquarium (downtown Toronto) and the conservation aspect here is incredible (they rescue formerly mistreated beavers and otters). The otters will come right up to the tank and interact with you. Don’t even think about it, take your children here, it’s incredible.

Super fun museum for the whole family. We were a large group with 6 kids ranging in age from 2 to 18 and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
I loved watching the beaver eat the bark off a stick, feeding time for the otters, and feeding time for the longnose gar.
I highly suggest a trip to this museum.
Liisa Shafer — Google review
My family and I enjoyed our day at the Aquatarium. We were able to see the otters having their snack time, and the boys learned a lot of new things about sea stars and other creatures. We visited the Traveling Bricks exhibit, and ended our day with the escape room experience.
Jennifer Holmes — Google review
Aquatarium was a hit. It was our 2nd time there (ever), and we attended on the August long weekend. We spent about 2.5 hours there and could have stayed longer if energy levels allowed. Our group was two adults, a 5 year old and a 6 year old.
It is so well designed and interactive. We tried almost every exhibit and spent probably 45 minutes at the amazing ball station in the gift shop.
The only flaw from my perspective is that feeding times are packed so it's not likely that you'll see much from the animals unless you're early to stake out a spot before it starts and comfortable in a crowd.
It's walking distance to the south end of the railway tunnel, nice waterfront space, and several options for food.
Parking was a challenge. We were told it was much worse than usual as there was a boat poker run happening.
Of note, we also attended the travelling bricks exhibit. It was ok, but underwhelming for me. Parking was plentiful and free. We spent about 1h20min there. It was a few nice LEGO builds on display grouped by theme, then at the end there was a LEGO pit where the kids could build. If the Aquarium didn't throw in a bonus activity, I would have been disappointed at the value for cost. There is a little gift shop at the end. Table in the center had little Lego knock off sinks or sea creatures or a light up extension tube fidget thing for $3 each. Prices of other items around the sides were higher and varied. Bonus activity had to be chosen and time booked on arrival. Options were the train, obstacle course, or escape room.
The escape room was a fun, cowboy themed experience. It's got a time limit of 45 minutes.

This place is PERFECT for kids! My 4 year old has never been very interested in museums until this place- he had a blast in the water play table and the ball vacuum trucks in the gift shop. The place is clean and gorgeous inside and the animals are very well loved and cared for. And the employees are incredibly kind and helpful! We burned 5 hours here easily. 10/10! We came on Monday and we had the place to ourselves.
Kailey Griffin — Google review
Brockville is a small community and despite that they are fortunate to have a clean and family friendly aquariums. Don't set your expectations too high as if it were a world renowned aquarium, because it is not. However, there are lots of interactive live displays, educational tours and it is a nice place to spend a few hours. I liked going to the aquarium and recommend others to go there as well especially if you are visiting the area.
If you like my reviews, photos or videos scale your fin up.

Stopped in at the Aquatarium on a family road trip and it did not disappoint. My children are 3 and 6 and they absolutely loved it. We are greatful to the staff for accommodating the error we made in purchasing our tickets. I was blown away by the attention to detail throughout the building - from the elevator ride (which seems like you are in a submarine), to the details even in the signage for the washrooms, it was all spot on. The Centre is very interactive which is great with busy boys. I am also greatful to another family who was signing up for the ropes course - as it is a flat rate for upto five people they welcomed my son into their group. The staff were amazing and encouraging - He had an absolute blast. My three year old was fascinated with the sea creatures you can touch - the staff were incredibly patient and very knowledgeable. We also loved the 'secret passageways'. I personally loved that I could be a kid with my kids. We enjoyed otter feeding show. The building is fully wheelchair accessible and I had no problem manoeuvring a large stroller. We will definitely return!

Great place to visit as a family! Our children range in age from 5 to 18 years old, and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all! We got tickets online but something went wrong and we were charged for 4 extra people. When we got there, they refunded it no problem. The hands on activities, touch tank, and demonstrations are all worthwhile and add an extra special touch. Would highly recommend!

This is what all ‘museums’ should be like. Absolutely amazing, fun for all ages, informational, interactive, and a great way to spend your day.
They have live animals (fish, sea stars, turtles, otters, beaver) demonstrations, challenges, activities, crafts, informations displays, physics challenges (add on cost for the ropes course or escape room).
We went with our 6 month old and he loved it - we loved it too!!!!!

First time visiting the Aquaterium with my toddler and baby, and had a wonderful time! It was incredibly busy as it was opening weekend for the mermaids but the staff didn't bat an eyelash and even helped me wrangle my toddler from running off too far! The mermaid story times and swim were so much fun and we loved seeing the aquatic life, especially the hermit crabs. We spent a long time playing at the interactive sandtable too. We will definitely come back again.

The service was great. We arrived early and thought we would have to wait, but they asked if we wanted to go on the next train!!!
This was actually a great option and we ended up having a private tour. The conductor was very nice even took our picture for us.
Watching them feed the Otters was interesting and the set up of the aquatarium is very well designed for families to be engaged and interacting with their kids.
Definitely recommend it!

Love Tibbetts point. Historical landmark with a gift shop. Great for photos and view of the lake and Wolf island. A must see if you are in the area. Also a lovely ride from Cape Vincent to lighthouse with quite a few historic homes to check out on the way. I like to ride bikes, jog or walk from town to lighthouse for some great views with some exercise.

Took a nice drive to see Cape Vincent and the Tibbetts lighthouse. Even during off season it is beautiful. The water is a beautiful cerulean blue and viridian green. The sounds of the ice is magical. Their is no restroom/visitor center open during off season. Ty you can always head to town and enjoy a bite to eat.

We arrived after the visitor center closed, but it was still nice to be able to walk around the pretty lighthouse. It's a working lighthouse, so comes as no surprise that everything is well maintained, but also means you can't go up into it. There's a telescope (needs quarters) at the waterfront so you can spy out the places they have indicated on the deck rail. Canada & a large wind farm are across the river. You can see beautiful sunsets here!

Not bad for our first time here.
The slot machines are a little confusing to understand, where you may just he pushing buttons and hoping to win something.
With few tables to play and few seats available, if you want in on blackjack , it was the busiest one, with no chance to get in, so you're stuck on the machines.
As with any Casino, make sure you bring a limit and have better luck than us!!!

The outside is vintage 1950s/Art Deco signage which is super lovely. Security and Id check was fine. Had an issue with trying to get a card as they needed extra verification from HQ security. Also be forewarned that you need to fill out a PAPER form! Like why? That should have been my first indication. The cashier was the most helpful. The high limit room was small. There are a lot of older machines and only 4 Dragon Link games (the one I finally was able to play had been not working for a while even with the service light on).
It was an okay experience but I won't be back. The machines didn't pay; the sounds weren't working (and some were working too well) and the RTP was dismal. I was there for 90 minutes and the most I saw anyone win was 90$.

My family and I came here for Easter weekend. I just went to the restauraunt since I dont gamble. I ordered the chicken caesar wrap which I thought was pretty good. It was around $15 which makes it reasonably priced. I like how you can get a discount of 10 percent on the food if you get a card at the front. Later I ordered a wine and it was decent and also reasonably priced at $7. Service wasnt bad and sufficient. All in all, not a bad experience.

Fun time here, won some and lost some. It is a very small casino (but it's also in a very small town!) There is a ridiculous amount of parking, so no stress finding a spot. I recall checking out this casino years ago when it had just opened. The place was busy, beautiful and full of spectacle; what you might expect from a casino.
Unfortunately, the shine seems to have dulled over the years as maintenance has obviously not been kept up with.
I visited recently during what I would have expected to be prime time on a Friday night. The place was almost empty.
Sad, really. This could be a destination and instead management seems to be content with complacency. Oh well, at least parking won't be an issue.

1 star is too much. Manager Mike and doorman Mark were very rude when my wife and I were visiting and they asked to see her identification. She was very flattered by the request but when she showed 3 different pieces or identification all of which were her and she is 33 years old. I drove 2 hours to visit. Clearly they were not having a good night and didn't want our money!!! I'll never be back. Mike the manager is a real piece of trash as far as I'm concerned. You ruined our entire night. My friends and I were staying in a cottage in Lyndhurst and decided to check out this casino which was about 25 minutes away. We decided to apply for a player's card and were told that if we have a card from other casinos owned by Great Canadian Gaming Corporation the same card can be used in this casino. Since we did not bring our card with us the customer service representative checked the database and because we are already in the system, cards were issued to us. They really provided excellent customer service. They also have coffee machines and soft drinks machines inside the casino for players to help themselves. It is a nice little casino in Gananoque.

Casino is beautiful new great machines staff very helpful although they only allow you to have two drinks in an hour which seems kind of silly to me. They should be on an individual basis. Bathrooms were filthy, and there was lots of leftover empty drinks at the machines that stayed there over the few hours that we were there, overall, if they fix the issues mentioned above, I would give it five stars.

Visited this park for the first time in June. Nice private sites with lots to do within the park. Big Lake for fishing and saw a lot of people bring in some trout. We had some nice bass and pike during our 10 day stay.

Was a great part to spend a night camping! We unfortunately got rained out, and we’re unable to do the cave tour, and I recommend you take a look at if your site has good drainage, or if it is downhill! Luckily, we woke up just before the rain started to hit, And packed up before our site was a tad bit flooded. With that being said, we really loved doing the trail the day before! We can’t wait to come back and get a more dry experience!

Beautiful park. Well maintained. Was a little disappointed we couldn't go in the mines. Will definitely go back to hike more trails and maybe camping.

Nice beach, clear water, poor management
When we arrived there, the power was out because of the storm. I completely understand storm is not a common problem but each successful business should have backup plan for unexpected situations. We didn’t have bathroom there for 2 days. They can easily planned to have some electric engine to support power.

I love this campground, especially on weekdays in autumn. Barely anyone there. There were so many site options the morning I left Ottawa. The reservation was easy to make online for my trailer as there are good details for each site. There are vault toilets with sinks outside near my site #12. A ten minute walk and you can grab a shower and do laundry ($2 a load). It is dog-friendly so my little guy loves rustling in the colorful leaves. Swimming is pretty nice there at the beach - just don't bring your dog with you! Staff is super friendly! I will definitely go back!

Well managed park, clean and quiet. Beach was beautiful and the hikes were incredible. Due to Covid the mine tour is booked quickly with not enough spaces. Town of Perth was super quaint.

This is another beautiful Ontario Provincial Park, formed in 1967. Large, many varied sites, lots of trees, lots of shade, lots of good size lots, lots of access to waterways and hiking trails. The store is nicely stocked, lots of watercraft to rent and it has good facilities. Staff are friendly. Overall very peaceful, especially in September when their are no kids running around and only half the sites are in use.
Downsides include many of the sites are quite sloped. You need to be adept at levelling your RV. The sites tend to have a lot of exposed roots which are trip hazards. And bring 100 feet of extension cord as the electrical hookups are quite far away, shared between two lots.
But overall a “keeper” !

Great place to camp, nice beach for the kids. If you're into kayaking or SUP this is also a great place to go. The protected bay offers a nice place to explore. If hiking is your thing there are plenty of places to hike just be cautious of the tics in the area.

Great, quiet park worth the visit, we spent two days here. We wish we had spent longer as we really enjoyed the campgrounds, its well kept with multiple activities for families to do. The trail to the mine was a cool throw back in time. We also spotted deer multiple times threw out the trip with even the chance to get 10 to 20 feet from them and also had them walking next to our sites. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys camping

Great place for camping, hiking and kayaking/canoeing. Perfect for nature lovers. Mature trees and spacious park. Noise is not tolerated, which is fine for most campers. Lots of photography options, including birds.

Beautiful park that I’ve been visiting since I was a little kid! The sites are well immersed in nature and the Hogg Bay sites are a short walk from the beach. The bay is great for canoeing (which can be rented from the park store) and also leads to the Rideau River. There are lots of opportunities to see wildlife such as deer, turtles, raccoons, and more and you can also see fun educational presentations at the amphitheatre (the one we saw featured snakes)! Bonuses: I always see lots of shooting stars at night here and the camp store features great ice cream :)

I had a great experience here camping. Unlike other camping places this place had many spots unreserved through out the year excepts for a few months. This place is near Perth (20 mins).
The camping sites are really good . We booked the spot online and it was around 40 cad plus taxes. The first vehicle parking is included with this but if you have another vehicle you will have to pay another 11 bucks at the registration counter.
As this place has lot of rain, I would suggest you to check the weather and prepare accordingly (Setting up tents and dismantling it). Make sure not to leave any food leftovers outside before heading to sleep. If you don’t, probably the raccoons won’t allow you to sleep. 4-5 of raccoons come and fight just next to you and they aren’t even afraid of us.
The camp had pretty decent toilets for camping areas and also the garbage dump area was convenient. The swimming area of the camp was really nice with shallow and deep areas. No lifeguard so take care. Happy camping!

Booked site #25, it was large enough for our tent, dining tent, and privacy tent (plus the kids had a ton of room to play. The first night it rained (our tent wasn't up properly) and we got soaked. I was so thankful for the laundry facilities, so we could dry our blankets.
The showers had hot water, and decent pressure. There were plenty of well-kept washrooms, and the vault toilets were fairly clean.
Park staff were absolutely lovely, even when we got lost in our canoe and were slightly panicked.
The silver queen mine (free for registered campers) was so interesting. It was really cool to learn a bit of the history, and go into the miners bunkhouse.
I also loved the events and activities available to take part in around the park on various days.
We will definitely be returning to Murphys Point!

An incredibly beautiful park! Spent the long Thanksgiving weekend camping and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend making this a place to visit.
