Love this place for a nice nature walk. Only negative I have to say is there are no trash cans along the trails, just at the parking areas. So people leave dog poop bags on the trail.

Great walking/bike trails with lots of signage. Not very crowded on a Sunday midday. Parking lot was full at 1pm with lots of cars on the street. Saw a few birds but overall it was a pretty quiet day.
Michelle Hayes — Google review
Toddler friendly trails, just come prepared with rain boots if it has been raining because the entrance is pretty muddy.
The trail is wide enough for a stroller but if its muddy you won't be able to go through.
Great breathe of fresh air, great family activity, clean and safe! Did not spot any wild animals other than squirels.

Nice park with lots of good signage about plant life. Feels like it could get crowded. The loop for now is only 3 miles as spring Creek trail is closed due to construction. This is a popular mountain bike spot but I have yet to ride it
Matt Triola (Tree) — Google review
The walking trail is nice. They have lots of markers with QR codes to see where you're at on the map. There's alot of options to meet any of your walking needs.
Sabrina — Google review
Excellent trail markers with QR codes linking to online maps. Good trail maintenance overall. Such a treat to get out and enjoy the shade. Lots of cyclists and amenities for them, such as repair station. Generally they were polite and gave warning of approach, but you have to be aware. Pet-friendly. No restroom facilities on the Flintridge loop trail or parking area. Sections of the trail are wheelchair accessible, but some areas are too rough or the fill material, sand or wood chips, too soft for traction.

Lots of trees down today after big storm last night. We were the only ones out, it was quite the adventure. Beautiful place to visit.

Very easy hike and lots of animals to be seen as you go! I highly recommend bug spray here.

The preserve is heavily wooded, providing a real sense of being close to nature. Mosquito spray is a must! It is wonderful to immerse yourself in the quiet and escape for if only a moment.

Had alot of fun . Make sure your aware if your hiking or walking bc it is a bike trail as well.

Awesome place to take your furry little critters. It's hard to get lost with the QD code maps and all. Interesting foliage compared to what I'm used to here in Austin. Definitely recommend this for a hike or bike in the woodlands.

Went there today to hike with a couple of friends of mine, a teenager, and a small Pomsky. Beautiful 48° morning, blue sky, you couldn’t ask for a better day for hiking. The trails were very nice, just one or two parts where motor vehicles went through followed by the rain which caused a little mud however, it didn’t really affect the hike. This trail is very well maintained and extremely well marked. We hiked 6.8 miles in about three hours eight minutes. Don’t miss this opportunity!

Great adventure getaway in your own backyard. Once you get into those woods you forget just how close you are to civilization. Wonderful trails, bridges, ponds and quarries await.
Go, you won't regret it if getting back to mother nature is your thing.
We hiked but the bike trails looked good too. Varying degrees of trails, some more travelled and others more rustic. Have fun!

Lovely place to go for a walk any day of the week peaceful and relaxing

Fun place to ride, i appreciate the trail markers, and they look well maintained. Recommend helmet for the low hanging branches. The bike loop is a great technical single track loop.
G Contre — Google review
Did a 4.3 mile mountain bike trail on my Pint X. Pretty challenging for my first ride on this trail I look forward to crushing it in the future.
Trails were well maintained and somewhat technical for a Onewheel ride. If you're not used to going over lots of pine tree roots you will struggle as you navigate these trails. I did have to dismount twice for fallen trees but other than that it was awesome 😎
Armani Outlet Premium Outlets Houston is a clothing and accessories store that offers high-end designer apparel from the Armani brand. Nice outlet for best selection and best price From G-Line to real Georgia Armani clothing. You can get very good discount if you keep searching here . Products are like in new condition not like other stores where sells and returns and Mary go around. Good thing here is all sales are final and only exchanges up to 14 days .

Very unpleasant experience. I tried on jeans and wanted to wear them immediately. Treated me as a thief. I was not allowed to shop anymore and was forced to go to the cashier. One sale rep asked another one how many pairs of jeans I tried on. I understand this is some precious measure, but please try to do it in a different way and not in front of a customer.

Store needs training in customer service. I walked in, and the employee did not greet, did not notice I was inside the store, and was running his mouth with a customer. I could have easily taken stuff. I looked round and still did not notice I was in the store. I went to Burberry, and Versace wonderful service also felt welcomed. If they don't care to acknowledge the customer, then don't spend your $$$ at armani.

Armando went the extra mile for me. Even though his store didn’t have the black tux I needed in my size, he called a tailor to see if they could size the larger tux to my size. When that didn’t work, he found the tux I needed at the Allen, TX. store. He’s a customer service professional of the first order. I’m a national sales manager- he is the one we’re all looking for! yeah

Never had such a hard time spending a thousand dollars in my life. Refused to swap a pair of pants from a suit to make an correctly fitting ensemble. Instead found it a better idea to try to sell me on a jacket that did not fit correctly. Have bought suits from here in the past where the employees had no problem switching out the pants to the correct size. Would love to buy more suits from here in the future but the policy prevents me from doing so. Unreasonable policies, unhelpful employees and deceitful sales tactics made my most recent visit a 1 star experience.

Manager doesn't want to exchange a polo tshirt from xl to large ,she ask me for the receipt but I lost it.

Be careful about the products’ price of this location. I bought a watch for $242 and it was originally listed for $445. As soon as i got home I checked on google and found that the watch listed on many other websites including Amazon for only $140 and the seller is also Armani. There is no refund, no price match, only exchange but I don’t trust their products anymore
I feel so disappointed the way i am not trusting this brand any more. I called the store there is no email for corporate to communicate with. I can only talk to the store manager when she comes back to the store, which i am sure won’t offer me a full refund
But how come there is no customer service for a company like this !!!! No email neither phone number!!!!

After being rudely talked down on by a Calvin Klein employee for dressing unprofessional and not allowing us to try on the pieces assuming we had no money, We ran over to this lovely establishment. We were in a rush to find a suit for my interview so Alise, a super helpful and wonderful woman, helped us choose out an amazing woman’s two piece $1500+ suit that was for sale $279! WHAT A STEAL! Not only was she sweet and super helpful, She let me try on the clothes too! Unlike CK, she knew exactly what she was doing and never looked down and degraded us for how we dressed! So, not only did I leave with my first Armani suit! I also got the job!!! Thank you so much Alise for all your help and patience and hard work! And thank you Armani for such amazing pieces! 💕💕💕

Typhoon Texas Waterpark Houston is a vast and entertaining destination, featuring snaking water slides and a relaxing lazy river perfect for tubing. Along with various dining options, visitors can enjoy the Bullchute slide which sends riders down a 7-story free fall or experience the double and single tube slides in the Snake Pit. The park also boasts a wave pool and plenty of splash pads providing ample opportunities to beat the heat during hot summer days. Additionally, it has hosted successful events like Katy Taste Fest.
Back to school party it was! The family had a great time. It was 🔥 hot, but the water and the fun was worth it. We will definitely be back next summer. Tickets were very affordable and I truly loved the cabana and snack pack for the kids.
kisha everson — Google review
We recently attended the Katy Taste Fest here and the venue was fine for that event. The water park is larger than we expected so we may return in the summer for some wet fun.

This water park is great for little kids to play. I can’t complain with prices of food because the bar made my day no matter the price. The next visit I will buy a booth so the kids could relax after playing. They also have a live performance by the wave pool that keeps everyone in joy with games.

This is our second summer with a season pass, and we love going as often as possible. I would recommend arriving early in order to get a table in the shade near the wave pool. You can't bring food in, but we pack a cooler and eat in the car for lunch for a chance to cool off. The food in the waterpark has always been good, but of course gets expensive if you go fairly often. The park is large enough to have something for everyone to enjoy, but small enough that I don't worry about my kids getting lost. We love it!
Katy Mills is a popular shopping destination with more than 200 outlet stores. It is also home to several restaurants and a 20-screen movie theater.

It really is a vast, open circle of malls. It has almost everything you can think of, and it’s a great place to shop and have fun. There is a wide variety of restaurants and shops, so you can eat while shopping. I always come here during holidays, and they always have some great discounts.

This is one of the reasons for going to Katy Mills mall. To look at the wildlife. Explore new items at the Out Door World. Overall, it's a pleasant place and location to spend some quality time.
Jerome Singleton — Google review
Ah, such a clean & wonderful mall! I really do enjoy all the different stores in here. Even though they label it as a outlet mall sometimes, not every store is in outlet store.
One of my favorite discoveries is the f.y.e. Store that has a ton of pop culture material. There is something available for everyone!
One of my other favorite stores is the bubble tea Stores! The food court recently got a Korean corn dog restaurant and it is absolutely delicious!
- k-dogs are definitely something to try. You may like it you may not like it. You will not know until you try!
Other awesome stores include a five below, Hot Topic, Ross..
Give this mall a try, there is something for everybody.

We had so much fun at Katy Mills today! Our whole family and my daughter's friend did some window shopping 🛍. We went to Miss A's and got some cute things.. then we grabbed some Dippin' Dots!! Yum! We checked out the movie theater to see what's playing and took time to grab a couple of photos 📸! Great day and nice mall! 👍🏻

I love this place it's a lot of fun and good exercise too. I walked it three times yesterday after getting an amazing massage at the kiosk they have at entrance 6. A day later I still feel great.
Whitney Fagg — Google review
It's a nice place, but it's not healthy to return when the freshly-applied asphalt parking lot leaves your car readings at 106° and the roof of the mall is waterproofed with tar - except the area above Marshall's (that store has multiple leaks when it rains.) I understand that it's a tough summer; could y'all paint the roof a reflective white and switch to a light shade of concrete for the parking lot?
(This is likely not going to be seen nor forwarded to those who can improve this, but at least this message is added with the growing complaints of others with similar concerns.)

It is a kind of hyper shopping area combining a mall with outlets for some brands.
In addition to the shops, there are coffee shops, food court and cinema
Faisal Abu Abdullah — Google review
Wow! Last time I came here was ~2014. I came back again (3:00 P.M.) to see this colossal mall turn from a bustling building into one with way less people than last time. Katy Mills is too big to have this few of visitors. Other than that, this mall has a great variety of stores.

I love Katy Mills, great old school mall feeling. I come here every year to grab my kids their shoes and clothes for the new school year, and we spend hours in here. We usually take a break from shopping and head to the Tilt to enjoy putt putt golf, rides and arcade games. I'll grab a candle from Yankee for the misses, and grab a bite at the food court. I hope to keep coming back for years to come. 😎👍

I thought malls were dying out.. WRONG Growing up I was here often due to my dad's office being down the road! It has changed (for the better) . Did you know a walk around the mall is a mile? I definitely didn't know back then! I now I need to bring my inhaler! Haha! Came here because I thought a new indoor slide park was open to take my 8 year old to but it hadn't even been started or it wasn't open at all. The signage and other mall employees did say fall as in September 2023 and there was no other signage. When I looked at their website there was no mention of a Katy Texas location. Anyways we did have fun and looked at a few stores. We had the chance to go to the arcade by the movies (which is also close to where the slide park might be). That then also gave us a chance to ride the train! Of course we ended at the rainforest cafe! We also slept WELL that night!

This mall is a destination all in itself. It has all the major stores and more. There is a carousel in the food court. A couple of real nice restaurants, Cheesecake Factory and Rainforest Cafe (kids). Parking lot and restrooms could use some attention and all the kiosks are a little annoying. Bass Pro Shop is a fun store. Some really nice outlets. Have Fun.

We went here 3 days in a row and finished our trip on Halloween. The experience was one thing the kids will remember for years to come. I’m grateful that it’s not too far away from the house and that there are different activities available to do inside as well

Although my experience was not terrible because I completely ignored the cons of going to this mall, I still feel like I should address it. The kiosk lady by the perfume stand was doing way too much just to get me to buy something. Before they get hired maybe there needs to be better training on how to approach people instead of making them your next victim to scam them out their money. I had to literally say no about five times. It was really rude of her to tell me “oh, well you can get your boyfriend to buy for you.” This was after I said no, on top of me telling her that it was his birthday like why should we have to even feel like we need to go as far as explaining ourselves. Not everyone likes every item that is being sold. This is why others ignore them, and the experience of wanting to just mind your business and peacefully go to the mall gets Ruined. I understand a job has to be done but there needs to be way better training in that department or hire more professional people. Also this place needs way better security. Any one can just walk in here, and there has been a lot of crime in this specific mall. Do it for everyone’s safety not for just us but for your employees as well. I really want to see this mall do great because it already has a bad rep. These reviews are up for reasons, please listen if you’re interested in any type of change.

The reason I’m giving this place a one star review in general when I have given certain certain locations five star reviews is because this place’s quality has gone down completely since I first saw it. They used to have beautiful colors surrounding the entrance and all throughout the mall but ever since the 2010s the mall has turns to a grayscale modern look and it’s horrible. But as always much love from Houston and the universe.
This Katy park has a playground, a stocked fishing pond, miniature golf, an indoor fitness and aquatic center, a large picnic area with a barbecue pit, and more. There are also several shade trees in the area.
This is a pretty awesome park for the whole family. It has many swings, slides, and other climbing and spinning activities. It also has a nice mini golf course and a trail around a beautiful stocked lake. The trail can be used for walking, jogging, and bikes.

Beautiful, well managed and landscaped public park that has adaptive play areas as well as inclusive equipment for children who may have mobility limits. There is miniature golf for free, gazebos for lunch or celebrations, picnic tables, a huge tri-level playground with several swings and even a creative musical play section. Nestled throughout are walking trails and a lake with several ducks. Great family place or morning to afternoon stroll in addition to the community center that has restrooms and various classes.
Felicia Wilson — Google review
This park is awesome. Great playground for the kids, putt-putt, BBQ pits, and a walking path around a lake with benches to relax.
Also, the restrooms are clean. Well, I can only speak for the men's restroom. I had to take my 4-year-old daughter to go #1, and I wasn't repulsed for her.
I went during Spring Break, which contributed to it being more crowded than I like, so I can't take off a star for that.
I haven't been on a non-weekend holiday, but I hope to do so soon with the family.
As for safety, worry not. It is right next to a police department.

Otis had so much fun at this dog park. I was excited to see that it has a small watering hole for the dogs to swim in, ample space for the dogs to run around in, lush greenery and trees for the people to be surrounded in (and dogs to stare up at the trees looking for squirrels) with benches for sitting in AND even some dog exercise / relay equipment. This park delivered so much more than expected. The only problem was that it was a little bit difficult to find even looking at a map.

Lovely park for a morning or evening walk. It is a well paved trail and is wheel chair accessible, the loop is about .75 miles. Nature and some wildlife in abundance. The kids playground is top class and the mini golf is the icing on the cake. Please bring your own golf equipment if you planning to use the mini golf facility.

Beautiful scenery. Great place to walk with your family. Small disc golf course that is enjoyable. Bring some old bread and a slingshot to feed the lake birds if you're bored. The fat ones will come up and keep you entertained.

My family and I love coming to Mary Jo Peckham Park. I see families bringing everyone for picnic time, parties, get togethers and lots of good family fun at the playground. We usually don't even make it to the pond with ducks, but we have enjoyed walking around. Although there are vultures, they usually hang out around the pond and NOT at the playground.
I do appreciate the bathrooms, but also bring hand sanitizer if they run out of soap which happens from time to time. Once June and July hit, try going early in the morning as it is deserted by noon (way too hot for the summer months).

My clients and I love meeting here for classes! There is so much for the dogs to see. Great place to train your pup to overcome distractions and to get general socialization.

This is a very nice park. It’s small but great for runners as the trail is not concrete. The loop total is about 0.75 miles. It had a gazebo, playground, golf, koi pond and restroom on site. The lake is gorgeous and there was a dock area to sit. There is plenty of seating at this park. You can also do pole fishing if you have a license.
It was nice to see the ducks however the park should be cleaned and taken care of more often with them in the area. There was duck poop everywhere. All over the seating and tables in the gazebo. It was misty while I was there so that made for a nasty sight.

We visit this park often. There is mini golf, plenty of places to walk including paths with ducks, a playground, a gym and indoor swimming pool as well as a koi fish pond. We love it there! My grandson loves to see the fish when we go. A nice nature spot for bird watching too. I saw a variety there today. Katy did a great job of creating this space for families in the area. We need more places like this! 10 stars! ⭐️ ♥️ ♥️ ⭐️

Wonderful park. Walking trail, fishing, playground, miniature golf. Indoors there is a huge pool, weights, treadmills & stationary bikes. They also have workout classes- all this stuff inside is free for katy residents. Outside is free for everyone! Also outside restrooms very well maintained and clean. Great place for kids parties and there are grills to cook on. Love, love, love this place! Next door is a dog park with agility stuff. Inside I noticed sign up sheets for senior bus trips to all sorts of fun things. Great place for community.

Railroad museum offering tours & model train exhibits, plus an observation platform & a gift shop.
This place is amazing. Very family and kid friendly. Justino, who gave us the tour, was so nice and patient and explained everything amazingly. He took his time to make the tour super fun, and even our 3-year-old was super interested. I definitely recommend coming here. The entry prices are very reasonable as well. Fun day trip for the family. Try to take the tour they start at 10.30 and then every hour. You won't regret it. You get so much history and information. It's just great. They also have a wooden toy train where the kids can play and climb in and a fully stocked play room where they can play while the parents look at the model trains. The tour ends right by the playroom, so this was a nice touch. We will definitely be back.

This was so much more than I expected! The museum exhibits were great, but even better were the restored train cars that we got to tour the inside of. The model train sets had amazing detail! Our 8 and 9 year old boys enjoyed playing by building their own train set in the Education Center. And the picnic area was an added bonus. Our guide was so informative and knowledgeable! This museum has something for people all ages.

After hearing other moms talk about bribing their kids here I decided to do a little day date with my husband. I had doubts that my kids would enjoy a museum about trains so I thought I would check it out before spending the drive time and money to bring them here and leave after 5 minutes. This place is interesting to me as an adult; it’s not somewhere that I would take my kids to as it’s was a bit on the boring side. It’s very informative but kids don’t want to be informed about trains and their schedules. They want to touch things and climb on the trains and play and have fun.

I have small kids with short attention spans so opted out of the tour. Don't do it! Or ask for a kid tour possibly? Everywhere is locked if you don't go on the tour.
Luckily we had some nice workers walk is through the big train and model area in the back. My kids would have stayed in the play place for hours.

Great rail road museum in old down town Rosenberg. The tour was great and the model train room is filled with various layouts with different train sizes. They have a G Scale layout outside.
They also have a toy play area that has many Thomas and friends toys and plenty of track for your child to build his own layout.
I've been twice and will return, great places to eat around the museum as well.

Worth every penny and more. The guide was very nice and knowledgeable. Our kid was super happy and excited. Thank you so much for making our visit a great memory.

A great place for young and old. we were there in February (28th?) Our guided tour guide was very knowledgeable which made the tour very interesting. After that whenever we see trains going by we look at the train and cars with a different view. If you are ever in the area this is a must stop and take the tour.

First time here: my hubby and I took our nephew here. They have visited before, but this was my first time. It was a cold and cloudy day, but we still enjoyed the tour. Our nephew loves trains and, despite being only 7 years old, he is capable of memorizing several names and numbers, so this is a stimulating experience for him each time he comes. For younger kids, they have a playground and a play room, which is double nice. The only cons were that the bathroom smelled terrible and some of the tour is very inaccessible to anyone in a wheelchair or with any challenges with steep, hard to reach stairs.

This was a pleasant surprise. There was more to look at than expected. Great displays and friendly staff. Nick did an awesome job giving the tour.
Love the fresh produce at Dilorio Farms and I love supporting our local farmers! Though they have a wide variety of tasty pickled veggies, I tried my hand of making several jars of homemade bread & butter pickles with the pickling cucumbers I purchased here. Yummy! Wide variety of fruits & veggies. They also have some meats and cheese and nuts, and some plants and decorative items.

This place has been a must-stop road trip destination for my family since I was a little girl. I loved bringing my son to continue the tradition of picking up tasty treats for the road! The selection of fruit and vegetable chips was seriously impressive!

Most of the local homegrown farms are delivering their products right here. End of July is perfect. Best watermelon and cantaloupe I've purchased in a long time. Some prices are fair some were a little high. I had to throw away the roasted salted sunflower seeds because they had a funky smell but it was only $2.15 for a large bag. That was the only negative. This is my go-to place for fruits and vegetables. Don't forget to check their freezers for fresh-picked beans and peas that are frozen.

Relaxed atmosphere. I hit them up a few times a week for fresh vegetables. They have dried fruits and nuts as well as some cold items. The front of the building is outdoor plants. Inside they have a selection of house plants, pots and garden decore. All the plants I have bought so far I grew successfully. If you need soil, mulch or firewood you can find that here, too. Small Town business. Buy local

Interesting place to stop off the main highway. They have some hard to find produce like fresh shelled peas. They also have a large and varied amount of houseplants and planter pots. When I stopped, there were baby turkeys and ducks. 😁😍

This is a great, mostly indoor farmer's market that rivals the big produce markets on Airline in Houston. They have a huge variety of everything! From plants to produce to dried beans, rice, snacks, jams & jellies, and more. It is worth a trip to get some great looking produce!

Great produce at great prices!! The homemade jams and jellies are incredible. You can get any kind of beans you like here fresh or fresh frozen.
Now is the time to get gigantic pumpkins!!

Saturday bought watermelon $11.99
When got home 1 hour away. Cut it open it picked early, sour, 1/4 white instead of red because not developed. Sunday returned to market with pictures. They picked out another watermelon got home .. it just as bad….

My family has been going to Dilorio's for generations of decades. My grandmother is from Hearne, TX, my grandfather is from Calvert, TX, and we have friends w/property in Navasota. My grandmother started us to going there as a family. Now, it's tradition. And we do not NOT go if we're going to"the country." I ALWAYS buy watermelons there as I'm addicted to this superfruit and the Hempstead area has some of the best in the country. This past weekend, after the family reunion, on the way home, we stopped for these melons, pineapples, mangoes, coconuts, cane syrup, and fig preserves.
There is so much to try, and everything is always fresh and delicious. If you're in the area, make the stop! You will not be disappointed!!

Great place to shop locally and get some fresh fruits, vegetables and plants. They have a wide selection of things. The employees were nice and helpful, except for the cashiers, when checking out we got no acknowledgment and were a little busy chatting about personal drama. Some of the bagged good they have like the nuts need to be better rotated and the bathrooms were a little bit on the dirty side and you couldn’t lock them. Besides that it’s an excellent place to get your fruits and vegetables or even some baby chicks and ducks.
6 miles of hiking & biking trails on 663 forested acres, with a lodge, shelters & camping areas.
Very cute hiking paths. We had half a day and hiked nearly all trails. Interesting amount of diversity of plant growth in the different sections. Beautiful weather made it all the better. Only consolation was the sewage smell for a portion of our hike and one of the trails being not accessible at the time. But the bathroom was VERY clean appearing especially compared to other state parks!

This was a really nice and quiet park. We are trying to get to each statepark in Texas. I was able to buy a magnet from this park. The shop was one of the best I have seen. There were so many cute things. I wanted them all! The Rangers were nice. The bathrooms were real flushing toilets, so that was a plus. We had a picnic and took a short walk. My pup decided she had enough walking. And the mosquitos were out in force.

Stephen F. Austin State Park has many trails all of which are short and easy. Head here for quiet stroll. Camping and day passes are available here. It was a pretty place but nothing that stood out as spectacular which is why it got 4 stars. My favorite hike was Brazos Button as it was a little more out of the way and I was the only one on the trail.

We LOVED the park! The trails are beautiful, well kept, and fun for both biking & hiking! The restrooms/showers are so clean and nice. I love that the sites are all pull-throughs, but I wish there was a little more space between some of the sites. All in all, GREAT park!

Nice park not too far from Houston to take a nice stroll. Today, we saw plenty of beautiful birds, lizzards, spiders, deer and a cute armadillo! The park was also decorated for Halloween which is also a nice twist. The only reason I didn't give the park 5 stars is because the bathrooms need some work, I couldn't even close the door to the stall because it wasn't aligned with the lock.

This was a fun place to go camping. No real topography (i.e., hills - very flat) but lots of trees. Initially we were in the more expensive campground. Had showers, hot water and a Dyson hand blower in the bathrooms. However, there was also a couple of large scout troops that came to camp and they were LOUD. Playing football right behind our tent instead of in their area. Nice they outside, but made our experience less than enjoyable. So the second day we moved to the other camping location - primitive. Cheaper and SO much nicer. Quiet. So quiet. Bathrooms did not have showers, hot water or the fancy Dyson blower, but did I mention how quiet everything was. We even saw deer run through. So much nicer. Thankful to the Rangers for letting us switch campsites. All the campsites have to be reserved, so you need to check if the site is available to be reserved. There is a nice series of hiking trails around the area walking from the campgroun. We walked a total of four miles. Not too bad. So many beautiful stars that second night in the quiet with lots of dark.

I love this State Park. My husband and I really love camping and have been a lot of places throughout Texas. We live in Katy, so only 30 minutes up the road from this park. For the convenience it totally deserves 5 stars alone. I knock one star just because there’s no water resource to fish in, and the play activities for kids is pretty slim. We found ourselves trying to figure out stuff to do to keep my 3 year old entertained. It would be awesome if it had a better playground! Overall, the park was clean, the tent spaces were spread out really well, and the bathrooms were very nice. The grill on the fire was adjustable, and for us that’s important since we cook everything over the fire. Just an FYI- this is also a camping spot where you can’t gather wood or you will be fined, so be sure to bring wood with you when you come.

Great place to go camping. They have full hook ups for trailers, tent spots, and cabins you could also stay in. Beautiful trails with so many wild dew berries if you come at the right season. The trails are beautiful, and some off map trails as well. One off map trail can also lead you to the shore of the brazos river, although it's a steep incline, and off map so caution when going off map. Overall had a great experience here with the family. Also the park pass let's you go camping at any Texas state Park for free for one year.

This state park is on the smaller side, but worth visiting. It has really enjoyable hiking trails with a variety of wildlife. One trail goes back to the Brazos River, and it has a great place to picnic. The primitive camping sites are well maintained, and the more advanced sites are a perfect place to feel like you have the body of both worlds. There is a wonderful nature center. I would love for it to be open more! Most importantly, I always feel safe here, and the Park Rangers are awesome! Great for solo adventurers or quality time with your family!

Dec 2023 - Hidden secret here in San Felipe is the Stephen F Austin Golf Course. It's a bit of a rough cut course but very nice contours and topographical layouts on the holes. I love this place! 😃 it's challenging yet easy on the size of the fairways and greens. Give it a shot. You won't be disappointed. Unless your one if those type of folks that need a PGA feel.

Came here to hike a few days into the new year with my 6yo and we had a great time. The gift shop lady was nice and they had a big selection of patches/pins since we collect those. My son’s only complaint was their playground only had a set of swings, which he was very disappointed by, but otherwise we had a great time.
Morgan Whitney — Google review
I’ve camped here many times and the only bad experiences have been due to other campers, not anything with the park.
The proximity to the river can make some sites quite humid, which means winter camping can get very cold. There’s a good bit of bare dirt at the primitive sites, but the drainage is great so any mud dries out pretty quickly.
Beware the raccoons: they’re very bold and will happily haul off food… or anything else you leave out overnight. Also be aware of the bees - there are a LOT of them, which is nerve wracking if you’re allergic.

We were camping with our pack. My youngest son is in cubscouts, and Fall Camp was here. It is a beautiful park with trails, a playground and a big area for camping. We were around 60 people. Bathrooms and showers close to camp. Only complaint was that family bathrooms were disgusting. Maybe cause they were a lot of scout packs camping at the same time. Other than that, everything was fine.

Very well maintained and easy to follow trail. Good for hiking, camping and enjoying nature. We’ve seen a group of deer and lots of unique birds.it’s fun!
We had an awesome experience. They allow you to watch the factory floor from an observation deck up high (behind windows)…which is super cool. They were packaging all sizes of ice cream from the single serve to the giant ones they must sell to ice cream parlors. The gift shop is great as well. They have typical Blue Bell merchandise like t-shirts & mugs and they have a few extra cute things like baby toys & ball caps. The $1 scoops of ice cream are plenty big and they offer a lot of flavors at any given time. We tried Mocha Almond Fudge, Moo-llennium Crunch, Cookies n Cream, Peachy Peach, and Blackberry Cobbler. So good! It’s a great place to take the kids. They even give out little paper blue bell hats. We would highly recommend this place!

Iconic creamery that can't be missed! Pay attention to the hours and what is open on weekends (no museum or observation deck). The creamery closed at 4pm the Saturday we visited. We got there at 3 and had enough time to have ice cream and see the shop. Plenty of seating even though it was very busy. You get your ice cream first and then line up to pay. Credit cards are accepted. It's only $1 for a BIG scoop! They had two flavors that are currently not available in the store, Happy Tracks, and Salted Caramel. The country store was smaller than I expected and is just at one end of the creamery. They have Blue Bell branded merchandise and other things as well. I bought a great ice cream scoop. The creamery is upstairs but there is an elevator straight ahead when you go in the doors.

We took a day trip to Brenham and, of course, had to stop here. The ice cream shop and gift shop were nice, as well as the observation deck. It was cool to be able to see the ice cream being packed. It was definitely worth 30 minutes to stop and check out.

We had a great visit. You can see all the history and their is an observatory where you can see the production (no pictures there). The gift shop has all kinds of cool unique items. Then the best part is the actual ice cream! It’s only a $1 a scoop! It’s a good size scoop too.
My one suggestion is it would be cool if they did flights where you could choose three flavors for a price. I’ve seen that at other creamery’s. It’s easy to go get another scoop though.
Anyway, great place to visit I recommend!

Blue Bell Creameries was a delightful experience. I came on a Friday afternoon so it was busy. I didn't find out there was additional parking until after I parked so just a heads up, if you have trouble getting a spot in the front, there's additional parking to the right of the building. I made it in time to see the Conservatory Deck and it was a nice group working dillegently and a few folks interacted with some of us above by waving and playing rock paper scissors. They have a great selection in the gift section and a lovely garden outside in the front. The ice cream was perfect for a hot sunny day. 10/10

Perfect place to come with the kids, there is a small museum about the creamery and how they make ice cream (no fee), and there is an observation deck in the second floor, with windows so you can see the ice cream machines and the packing machines, also the people working there, very interesting! (No fee!) also there is a small store for souvenirs and you can buy ice cream ($1 each) with lot of flavors they don’t offer at the supermarket. Would be a nice place to come for a field trip or any day to get out to the country.
It’s open mon-Friday only. Masks required to enter.

Really fun visit to the plant where Blue Bell ice cream is made. You can only walk upstairs to the Observation Area, but it is nice to see everyone in their sanctuary white scrubs packing boxes and moving cartons around. Small museum in the Visitors Center is worth a stop because there's a five minute movie of production in progress. Ice cream cups sold too, for only $1 scoop. Good road trip stop.

I can’t get enough of Blue Bell’s Fun and Enjoy Ice Cream! The quality is top-notch, and the price point of $1 per scoop is incredible. Whether you’re craving something classic or adventurous, they have a flavor for you. Treat yourself to a scoop (or two)!

Went during spring break and it was super packed! But it was still great! The observatory is only open til 2, so get there earlier because finding parking is a good 10-15 minutes depending on if you go during a busy time. Their ice cream scoops are only $1 as well and they give you a good 3 scoops in their cups which is nice. You can also order a platter of all the flavors as well. The workers working the ice cream parlor weren’t the most welcoming and I’m assuming because of how busy it was.

This place is beautiful! The museum and observation deck were closed because we visited on Saturday, but we still had plenty to enjoy. There was a small but cute baseball museum downstairs and beautiful spacious ice cream parlor and gift shop upstairs. Generous scoops for $1. Highly recommend!

Fun family favorite!! I enjoyed this little day frip from San Antonio. We got here at about 10 am and used very clean and large restrooms to refresh us from the drive.
Next was the Visitor Center. There is a history of Blue Bell to explore and read. There were very sweet people behind the Information booth who answered any questions that we had. The history was reading, it would have been nice to have some interactive things where we could push a button for it to read to us. I have a child who is dyslexic child, but I would read it to myself and them summarize for her. We did take some fun pics in the 2 areas where pics were available. We loved the paper hats to wear!
We then took some pictures at the first delivery car and then the cow statue.
After thar, we looked through the baseball coach hall of fame. Finally, we went upstairs to the observation deck!! Watching the workers package my favorite ice cream was super cool! Adding the oreo cookie pieces to the cookies and cream was super cool to see. They were also packing the big packages of strawberry for ice cream shops. The last thing I saw them packing was the single serve cups of chocolate ice cream. Seeing them measuring and packing the cartons was so cool!
We then went shopping in the store and found some really cute items to take home.
My favorite part was getting ice cream! $1.00 per cup. We tried the peach, Krazy Kookie, Lemon Pie, Dr. Pepper float. They were all super tasty and enjoyable.
This will probably be another fun thing to come to just to see what kind of ice cream they have changed the items to. I would love to come back.

After much anticipation, we were finally able to visit the legendary Blue Bell Ice Cream shop in Brenham, Texas. The opportunity to taste several ice cream flavors exactly where they are produced was fantastic. The ice cream was COLD and of course wonderful, and I had a nice time at this location. Particularly given how HOT it was outdoors at the time, it was the ideal relaxing setting.

$1 bowls of ice cream!!!!! So good! They call them scoops but as you can see in the pictures, they are very generous with their “scoops”. We tried all the flavors, so worth the stop. BTW they stopped doing tours but you can still go up steaks and view through windows inside on how they make the ice cream. They also have a museum where it shows the history of the company and facts about the ice cream. We found out new favorite rest stop.

Omg! All you icecream lovers have to come! It's a super cute! In the visitors center you get to learn the history of Blue Bell. The have photo ops for the kids. From there we walked to another building. When you enter they have a baseball memorabilia. You can take the elevator or stairs to the 2nd floor where you enter the ice cream parlor. You choose the ice-cream you want and they charge $1 per scoop with no tax. I tried the peachy peach and the mango. Super delicious! On the side of the parlor they have a gift shop. Really neat and cute items! Further along the hallway they have the observation deck. From the deck you get to watch the employees make and package ice-cream. The observation deck is open M-F 8am-2pm. The rest is open M-F 8am-5pm. There are absolutely no pictures or videos on the observation deck. Please be respectful. There is an employee there keeping an eye and answers questions. The outside they have a free library inside a truck, you give a book and take a book. They also have bronze statue of the cow and girl blue bell logo along with the first refrigerated truck. There is no fee to enter the facility. Overall it was a nice experience. If you are in the area I highly recommend you stop by and check it out.

A step back into time. Loved the experience with my family. We are from Oregon, so it's nothing like the Tillamook cheese factory , but it's great in its own ways. The tours were not open when we went on Monday of spring break 2024. But you can't beat $1 scoops! Good size scoops, too. I made the mistake of getting 3 for myself. But for my family of 6, we spent a total of $8 and gas to have a great hour or so. The history is pretty cool, too. The gift shop is pricey but to be expected, with scoops being so cheap. They had I formation on the local mural scavenger hunt in the old Town town which we were looking for info online and didn't find but here it was in the visitor center. So we will be doing that on another day. Highly recommend.

So I first went to Blue Bell, bout 30 years ago as a young lad. Came back today and it was a fun little trip to the past.
Dollar scoops of Ice cream can't be beat.
But I felt like there was more to do when i was younger.

Blue Bell is one of the crown jewels of Texas and coming here with my family was an absolute delight. At the Visitors Center we learned about the company's origins and history. The we went to the Observation Deck and Ice Cream Parlor. It was great to be able to take a glimpse at the process of how Blue Bell makes ice cream for us. At the Ice Cream Parlor you can't beat the price of a $1 a scoop (it's a cup-full of ice cream which I thought was great for the price) plus they let you sample flavors if you need to do so to decide what you're getting. I highly recommend the Lemon Pie flavor 😋 👌. Overall, we spent about an hour and a half there and had a great time. Definitely arrive as early as you can to beat the crowds.

Really cool thing to see! At the time my wife and I visited this one, it was by far the thickest tree we'd ever seen! Much wider than I am tall....lol. Totally amazing to think that this tree's been around since the times of England's King Henry VIII and Christopher Columbus!
Forgot to mention something. There's another place in Columbus where you can see two oak trees growing out from the street on both sides. It's on Bowie Street between Hwy 71 and Tait Street. Just exercise caution not to bump those trees with your vehicle, and it might not be a good idea to try driving between the two trees.

It was a simple tree, nothing fancy, in someone's yard, and yet also it was surreal to think about everything that tree has been around for: 500+ years old. There's a little pull off lane on the road right in front of it. Take 15 minutes and enjoy standing alongside history.

Was so excited to stumble upon this place in Round Top. I didn’t have any idea what to expect. I thought it was going to be more antiques. It is super cute and very trendy! If you are looking for cute western wear, hats, t shirts it’s perfect. I did think it was quite spendy for what it was. If you are totally ok with paying $75 for a t shirt it’s your type of place.
I did really love a lot of the decor and styling of the space. They also had a lot of cute Texas themed items!
They also have longhorn cattle outside!

I've driven past Junk Gypsy each time I've been to the Roundtop Market. I'm usually sourcing for clients and felt this wouldn't be a fit for their needs. This Spring Market I took 3 friends with me and used this as the perfect opportunity to visit this store. It didn't disappoint!! We all enjoyed the visit and some of the girls made purchases. It's a decent mix of antiques/flea Market finds and newMarket. The store is simply adorable and well arranged. Even though it was super busy it was very easy to navigate your way into the patking area and around the store. It's easy to lose track of time here with all there is to see and enjoy. The prices were a little on the higher side, though nothing shocking to me. I've seen prices sky rocket in the design industry lately so it was as I expected. The music outside and the abundance of seating was a great way to retreat from all of the walking that comes with shopping at Roundtop market.

Stopped in because of all the hype. Cute store. Friendly people. Prices high as with any tourist spot. Had live music & a bar outside. Also had Mark Bowe with Barnwood Builders on site. We have met him before & he is always super nice & friendly. Bought a bottle of wine. Price was double what an ok tasting wine would be but the affiliation to Miranda Lambert made you want to at least try it. Parking was ample & outside was mostly in the shade.
Family-friendly water park featuring slides, a wave pool & a lazy river, plus on-site campgrounds.
The best camping experience we had last weekend!
Staff were very nice! Cabins and their public bathrooms were very clean. They have staff who maintained the cleanliness of the area.
There are a lot of activities you can do as a family; they have boating, biking, kayaking, and etc.
We asked one of the staff there if we can have a late check out, and since nobody was checking in in our cabin, they were kind enough to allow us to have a late check out WITHOUT any additional fees. We were very pleased with their service and accommodation.
We will definitely go back!

For several years as a season pass holder, this destination was a solid five star choice for my family. Recent adjustments to the family orientation of the park have forced me to reconsider our summer plans.
I was truly shocked last season to see the inclusion of a smoking area for guests. By accommodating a new demographic, park management has alienated a significant part of its base of support who would prefer not to expose our children to second-hand smoke. Its presence was clearly detectable from the “smoke free” portions of the park.
There was also a noticeable difference during the last two seasons in the behavior of guests. Park rules (teens running through crowed areas, rampant profanity) seem scarcely enforced.
Although I am sympathetic to the labor shortage the park must be experiencing, especially given their distant rural location, I was troubled by the number of attractions that were closed on each visit. Our trips were planned to correspond to lower demand days, but there was no appreciable difference in line length.
I was appreciative of the reopening of shower facilities last season. The previous year, they were unavailable as an effort to mitigate the dangers associated with COVID, although I never saw how isolated showers were more dangerous than large gatherings of people. It seemed more like a reduction in labor requirements from my perspective.
I truly hope the park succeeds given the fun my family had there years ago.

This is an awesome Rv campground and water park. Been coming here for quite some time and they really have everything one might want or need. The cafe has good food and drinks. They host a variety of events throughout the year. Just recently they had a car show and chili cook off. Which I did not win but hey, there is always next year. The catch and release pond has a tons of fish in it. It can keep the kids and adults occupied for hours. They offer RV spaces, tent spaces and they have cabins as well.
Over all this is a not so far out of the way campground with all the amenities needed for a great weekend. If you haven’t been you should give them a try.

Such a great place to stop in for a day! Kids loved it, especially the large wave pool; that was the best they said. Not all the big slides were open but there was a good variety available. Lines were long to get a tube for popular rides and those double tubes were beastly so be ready for the stair climb! There were plenty of places to find shade and big plus to ability to bring your own cooler in without a fee. We'll definitely stop back through again! Best to get there early because it's a full day if you want to try to ride everything.

Very fun and spacious for families. Great water slides and believe me, hours of fun for your family. Great hot food and plenty of bathrooms and changing stations. I recommend this place for all families. Also forgot, pricing is fabulous but parking could be way better for how big this place is. They also have plenty of cabana huts you can rent out for social distancing, parties, or just your own private enclosed enjoyment.

We have used the RV spots and the cabins. Both were good experiences. Most RV spots have shade and room for the kids to play/ride bikes. The cabins are clean and do stay cold during the summer. Even upstairs wasn't bad. Plenty to do even when not using the water park. Water park is also clean, roomy and multiple food and drink options. Great family vacation spot. We will be back.

Splashway Water Park and Campground is a very nice place to camp at. We went, but the Water Park was not open at this time. They had all kinds of activities to do during the day and had a movie each night. Everything was reasonably priced, and it was good to see the families riding their bikes or golf carts. It is pet friendly as well. We bought season passes for the Water Park. So we will definitely be back soon. The showers and restrooms were very clean and cleaned throughout the day. The staff were very nice and courteous. The fishing was pretty good, too, with bluegills and bass to catch. The ducks and geese were friendly. There were 2 ponds one was being used for fishing and the other for swimming. We can't wait to see the water park when it is open.

Non stop fun water piping, fast tubing, relaxed floatN, exhilarating riding experience for me and my family! So fun, ya just cant stop til it closes. Clean park-Your staff was friendly too-Oh, and I love all your plants throughout the park, so pretty- Thanks for a fun time!

Very nice Waterpark! It's definitely worth the hour drive. (As long as you don't go on a day, it might rain, of course) There is good variety of water-slides and then there is the lazy river that connects to one of the wave pools. Food is pretty good, but I think the prices could be a buck or two cheaper. But other than that, it's great to bring friends and family to take a day off and just have fun!

This was our first time coming to Splashway Water Park and it wont be out last. My family had a great time and the kids had so much fun doing all the activities. We did miss smore night but the park still had so many things for us to do. The park was kept very clean and everyone was so nice and helpful. The water park was amazing but what I really loved is the care my son got when he got sick from one of the rides. The staff kept asking me if he was ok and the EMTs went above and beyond to make sure my son was doing okay. The staff at the water park even called me 1 week after we left the park to make sure that our son was still doing fine. That showed us that they care for the customers and they have earned my business going forward. They do have two small lakes and I was able to catch small bass with crank baits and top waters. The RV spots all were fantastic and all the connection worked perfectly. I think we will get a spot near the trees next time we come, so I can set up a hammock.

Thrilling Slides! Perfect size for me and my 8, 10 and 40yo guys ;) to get to ride everything multiple times. Food was great for a theme park. We recommend the Meg Funnel Cake. The restaurant makes yummy margaritas too!

We've been making this place the last blast of summer for the past 7 years. We have watched the park grow, but still keep that same small town family feel we all know and love!!! Splashway is the best there is in this category, and we are so thankful for the memories made here! Spend a day or spend the week, Ray doesn't care, just come have fun! Zero regrets!!
Had such a delightful Saturday enjoying the birds singing in the recovering butterfly garden. The staff was so friendly at the Texas Quilt Museum and seeing all the incredible talent in the various stitching and techniques was inspirational

Very very beautiful quilts and display of quilts with the stories behind the quilts made. The 'No Photography' rule is dumb and definitely not followed by me or anyone else, as you can see by others pictures posted. The only reason someone would want to go is for the pictures to show off the beautiful quilts and tell the story behind them. Only museum I have been to that says no photography. I didn't follow the rules because I wanted a useable hard copy memory of my trip w my family. Just outside of the Museum is the "Grandmother's Flower Garden", that is nice to walk through or sit on the bench & just enjoy the beauty around you. Birds and butterflies around with benches and a gazebo to sit at.

Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable, and it was a really nice time to walk through the three exhibits/galleries they had. We recommend this whether you know anything about quilts or not (we didn’t); these are pieces of art and we learned a lot.

What a wonderful experience! The quilt exhibit was so beautiful 😍 and there is a stunning amount of research available on quilting in the library. They even have storytime for kids at 3 on Saturdays. The gift store had great selections and don't miss Grandma's Garden next door! My Mom loved her visit ❤️

I absolutely loved admiring the spectacular quilts on display. This exhibit showcasing All Creatures Great and Small is wonderful- I would post more photos, but I want to encourage you to go and see for yourself the beautiful works. The staff were friendly and spoke with us about both the building and the quilts. The only thing I would have liked to see that wasn’t there was where each quilt was made.

We drive from Austin to La Grange at least three times a year specifically to visit THE TEXAS QUILT MUSEUM. Always a fabulous show and the All Creatures Great & Small exhibit and the main gallery selection of animal quilts is just wonderful! The small side gallery has a collection of handmade quilts from 1820 to about 1930. Also a great exhibit! JUST GO ... and ENJOY!

Love love love the Quilt museum.. so many different styles by different textile artists.
The memorial in gallery 2 was such a beautiful sentiment to a very talented artist.
The use of beads in her work blew me away.
I recommend anyone interested in quilts to visit.
They change out their exhibits .
Going into the resource/ library was so interesting. Was able to admire fabric pieces from 1700s-1800s. My favorite was a beautiful French blue toille (spelling).
Make sure to visit the Grandmother's Garden.. breathtaking and so peaceful.

This was a revelation and a wonderful artistic experience! They have numerous quilts, some up to a hundred and fifty years old or more... Very interesting and beautiful. The variety and incredible craftsmanship is breathtaking. Also, they have a small but charming gift shop and helpful docents on staff. There is an admission charge, and you are asked not to use your camera. There are clean restrooms on site. If you have an interest in art, American folk heritage, or just skill and beauty... You should stop in to this Hidden Gem.
Next door is a lovely garden area and ample street parking nearby.

Part of the painted churches of Texas trail, like 20 in tx alone, this one was on my way to San Antonio. I got to stop since I'm a fan of religious art. The tour is available for a fee, but it is not worth it. Tour the churches if you have time to drive from one to the next. Beautiful interior, it reminded me of the Sistine chapel in Rome,

Well worth the drive to see the glory my mother was in. The stain glasses were amazing and breath taking. And the detail of it all too. We were lucky, a tour group was there so we were able to listen to the gentleman explain the history of the church.

The "Queen of the Painted Churches" or the "Queen of Schulenberg". This is a beautiful church, very intricate and decorated on the inside. Free to go, open 8-5 daily. Note that this is an active church, not just a tourist attraction, so respect is necessary. I would check beforehand to make sure you aren't visiting during mass.

Yearly Labor Day Church picnic run by the parishioners! The German-Czech food bar none is the best (like home cooked) Lots of activities for the kids, silent auction with good contributed to the church (lots of it is home crafted) Lots of free country and polka bands all under a pavilion with huge warehouse fans to keep you cool. Grilled hamburgers and all kinds of refreshments for kids and adults! At the end of the festivities at 10pm was the Speculator Firework's that was awesom! Recommend that you add this to your calendar to attend every year. My daughter won the best carrot cream 🎂 cake at the Cake Walk stand!

Historic brewery for Shiner beer offering weekday tours with tastings, plus a gift shop.
For Truck Drivers, Delivery Drivers, they have a entrance for delivery trucks and few parking spots to wait your turn for a dock. A phone number to call with your pick up delivery appointment Number ( see pictures ) or go next to door 7. They will call you when a dock door is available for you. I don’t think you can park overnight here. On the street is no space to park on what I saw. Unloading was not to fast not to slow, from the time of check in to check out 2h 30 min. Good Luck professional drivers!

The tour lasts about 45 minutes and features multiple audio-visual presentations as well as some interactive demonstrations. The highlight for me was the long hallway overlooking the canning/bottling line. You get 3 beer tokens with the basic tour bag, which you can cash in before or after the tour (and you’re allowed to bring a beer along with you). There are several nice photo opportunities along the tour. Same day reservations are by telephone only, but you can plan multiple days out on their website. They also offered a great discount on the tour for veterans and active military. Make sure to stop in the gift shop for some great Shiner merch too!

Love, love this little Bavarian brewery in Shiner! We toured the brewery back in the 90’s when we lived in Houston. It has grown up and expanded quite a bit since then. All Shiner beer is brewed here and shipped to all U.S. states and several countries around the world. Instead of the wooden nickels, we got three black chips to trade for beers in the taproom. Some varieties are only found here. I sampled the last keg of the eclipse pale ale. ♥️ After the tour we had an awesome sliced brisket bbq sandwich. We won 12-packs of the seasonal Peach Wheat at the end of the tour. We also bought a growler which was filled for free with our choice of beer from the Taproom. Love this little brewery!
Michelle Musser — Google review
The tour is very well designed and informative. Their beer production line are extremely clean and modernized with robots handling heavy lifting and moving jobs. The beer taste room serves dozens of delicious Shiner beers. There are many seating areas in front of the entrance with beautiful old oak trees. Definitely a 5 stars tour place!
Simon X — Google review
There's a heads up you should know before visiting and this is not a review of the beer itself. I like Shiner beer. They're excellent for relaxing which is what I wanted to do at this brewery. When I stepped into their gift shop I was asked if I wanted to tour. I didn't have time to wait for a brewery tour to start and spend time touring so I said I only planned to grab a beer. Turns out you can't buy beer here directly. You buy a pint glass or brewery tour to get beer tokens. The glass gives two tokens and the tour gives three, with each token able to get you a pint. Since I didn't have time for a tour and don't want another $10+ pint glass I wasn't able to buy beer. When I asked about a tiny sample I was told you need a token for that. Not allowing samples helps me not buy beer. So reader, please know that to get beer here you're buying a pint glass or taking a 45 min tour after waiting for it to start. They literally won't take your money for beer otherwise.
That aside, their venue is fantastic, the patio is lovely, and the restrooms are extremely clean. It'd be a great place to enjoy a pint of you could get one. A brewery can't make it inconvenient to buy beer.

Beautiful grounds and amazing BBQ. We came out on a Thursday, when they had southern green beans and giblet rice, which was to die for. Highly recommend! You can also tour the Brewery and they have a gift shop.

I'm not a beer drinker, but my spouse and my boys are. Shiner her we come!
The place is really spectacular. I love the outdoor venue with all the tables and games. Plus, they have a canopy area where they let people sing.
We decided against the tour. I didn't think $25 was a good deal. We instead opted for buying a glass for $8.12 and got three tokens for any beer we wanted. We also got to taste everything they had available. My favorite part was the mixed drinks they have on tap made with their vodka, gun, and moonshine. You could taste any of the mixed drinks. If you like the drink, you could choose to purchase a full glass for $8.
The gift shop was very nice as well. They variety of items to choose from. They also have older shirts at a discount.
We really enjoyed our trip. If you are close by, make sure you stop in for a beer, sit on one of the picnic tables, and enjoy some music.
Shelly Hubbard — Google review
I regret there was no food available on site nor nearby in a radius of 30 miles, maybe because of the pandemic or because it was Sunday, and they give you three coins to exchange for beers with the tour fee! We did not want to waste it so we managed it jejeje.
The tour was A+ very informative and the band playing outside was nice.

What a great brewery tour! You can’t buy beer here, you have to buy a glass or do a tour to get tokens for beer but the tour is totally worth it. Good selection of beer and very helpful staff. We’ll be back for sure!

Okay your probably looking at a population of Shiner TX at about 2k + and wondering where to get some food before a brewery or distillery tour (do it :-) ) this bbq joint is inset to the brewery and is making some knock your socks off bbq. Pictures below is the sausage sandwich combo. They jave salads which you can eat by themselves or add any of the daily meats. Local made and sourced sausage was absolutely killer. Small snack trays to enjoy with an adult beverage and more. Open air dining, but we even had live music on a Friday. Swing in, you wont be disappointed. Brewery tour is great, nice swag bag and great tap beers.

Great brewery experience located in the small country town of Shiner, Texas. Usa today has it as part of the 10 best brewery tours in Texas. #5! When you get here the main parking lot is kind of small, but there's additional parking in the lot behind that one, connected by a small trellis bridge to walk walk to the main area. The brewery is made up of the tap room, the takeout restaurant filled with barbecue goods, the shop, and the beer garden which is partially covered, and complete with band, and full bar. It's important to note that they actually don't sell beer to drink. What you can do is buy various things that come with tokens that are good for a cup of beer. We purchased the $25 gift bag that had sunglasses cups and other things in it along with three tokens for three beers. If you're here during spring break, go to the gift shop and let them see that you've liked one of their posts on Facebook and they'll give you a free 12-pack of shiner Hill country peach wheat seasonal beer there's people everywhere walking with their arms full of this beer LOL. The food is pretty good the beer is great the experience is just what you'd like it to be: country music playing with the smell of barbecue and beer everywhere! Alright alright alright.

We stayed in Cabin 9 for 4 days from June 26th-29th. It was me, husband, and 3 kids aged 13, 11, and 6. It was a great experience. Our cabin was air conditioned and had adequate space with microwave, stove top, and refrigerator. Rangers were super helpful and kind. We made reservations for pool and enjoyed swimming in their pool that went to 8 feet deep. The trails were mostly paved and had lots of wildlife along the trail. We enjoyed fishing in Mina Lake. The playground was fun for the kids to enjoy. This was our first overnight stay at the park. We will definitely be back again.

There is still a lot of construction going on here and the lake is still dry but it is still a beautiful park worth visiting. I'm not sure how the recent wildfire has affected the area. This is a beautiful park in which you can see the Lost Pines in their splendor! There has been much reforesting and new growth since the fires of 2011. It is quite lovely now. There are new trails in the park and they are all gorgeous. The cabins have been refurbished and the dam is being rebuilt. Dogs are allowed on a leash. This is always one of my favorite parks in which to hike.

40 minutes from Austin, you are transported in a completely different landscape. The 400 feet tall pine trees off of the perfect escape from the bustling city. The weather was extremely hot, as one expects it to be in the middle of August in Texas. But the campsites are beautiful, and the facilities are amazing.

This state park is beautiful! The showers, the bathrooms, and the nature trails, and so many other things to do while you’re there. There’s also a swimming pool unfortunately, it’s already closed but when summer comes, it’s a great place to go to swim. There’s no fishing except in a small pond because of the damn breakage and they’re repairing that damn but no time expected if when it would be finished. About $30 a night for two people to camp water and electricity or you can go completely nature. Quiet, peaceful serenity. Scattered with live oak trees and pine trees that touch the sky. The stars come alive at night. Burn ban is in effect. But you’re allowed to use a propane stove or electric Skillets. The lots are big. And you can park close to your campsite if you’re tenting and it’s beautiful if you have an RV everything is so convenient. So if you’re looking for a weekend or just an overnight jaunt, I highly recommend Bastrop state park. A little sidenote it is constantly being surveyed by the park rangers so you can feel safe and secure.

We stayed at the Copperas Creek campgrounds. The campsites were awesome, the tent pads were level and no rocks. There was a fire pit and a grill. The bathroom facilities were top notch for a state park, heated with hot water for showers. My only complaint was the noise from the highway was pretty bad at night. And the hiking was meh.

Some pleasant hiking to be had here with a nice mix of flat and up/downhill, and open and shaded paths. Hills are not very steep but some parts are just enough to get one panting a little bit. Restrooms are very clean, and there's a playground/camping/picnic area that you can drive to. Very cute little bridge crossings along the trails. Trails are marked well enough so you won't get lost.

Very nice state park with a wide variety of hiking trails. We took the old road bed and scenic overlook trails. The trail bed was generally sandy or small gravel. The gravel could be a bit slippery at the downhills, but not the large, more treacherous rocks on many of the hilly state parks. The trails were generally well marked with small sign posts. Trails were mostly gradual up and down and well tracked. Trail was scenic, often in piney woods. We hiked 5.2 miles in 2 1/4 hours. Some nice shady and scenic points. Good parking areas by trail crossings. Overall medium difficulty & pleasant.

Beautiful and accessible. It’s perfect for a calm getaway without breaking the bank.
The only thing that can break it is the sound of the highway but it’s really not that bad.

Weather was mild and cloudy for Easter, so literally no-sweat, with five grandkids on the egg hunt and nearby playground. Grilling on the provided grill was perfect, the unit was heavy-duty and easy to clean beforehand and after. The adults could keep the busy kids nearby with ease and the low number of park goers insured a wide open parking areas that didn't threaten the kids racing across it to the playground all afternoon.

Looking for a cost effective way to learn a bit of history. Head to the jail. It is filled with a very cool walk-around the building, here you can feel the scratched names into the walls, see the architectural history and read about the many stories, get inside a jail cell. Excitement of knowing what you're at and who could be haunting the very floors of you're walking is quite the adventure. For under 20 bucks we got all 4 tickets and even a gift from the shop for both kids!

I wish there were easier access to the river, but most everything was what I would consider "wild access".

A must see if you are driving in the area or just passing through. It's free, take the time, and enjoy a little nature hike. Rangers are amicable and informative. You can rent cabins, camp, al facilities available, or just spend the afternoon canoeing, rental available too. Check the attached pictures for more info

Probably one of the best parks that we've been to! I mean WOW!! We did go after a rain storm so the mosquitos were out in force and they are huge!! We had no idea but we ran into a young woman who kindly let us use a little of her spray and then two park Rangers who let us some of theirs too. Everyone there, staff and other hikers were super nice and helpful. The bathrooms were super clean and we'll kept too! We will definitely be back and hopefully do some camping there too.

Palmetto state park is a stunning (and frankly underrated) park that I will definitely return to in the future. There is a small lake where you can swim and rent kayaks/paddle boards. Some trails go near the San Marcos river which is very calming. There are many trails throughout the park all with a diverse array of birds. If you are quiet and early enough, you can spot some deer as well. This is a great park for folks who are new to hiking since all the trails are pretty easy to traverse. This park was not crowded at all despite being rather close to Austin and San Antonio. The staff in the main office are really friendly and helpful.

A beautiful place. Many good hiking trails (easy to moderate) where you can take in some of the most photogenic scenery in Texas. Friendly staff and nice modern park facilities. Easy access fishing dock on Oxbow lake. It's a very popular park so it's difficult to find available RV camping spots in the short term. I recommend booking a campsite at least a couple months in advance.

Unique state park with interesting trails and plants. Saw wild turkeys, deer, water snakes, and various birds. The facilities were well maintained, although one shower did not work. Very friendly park hosts.

We stayed in site 15 in a 38 Renegade. Tight but no problems getting in. We were able to park our Jeep in front of the RV. Beautiful shade trees. Lots of really nice, well groomed walking trails including a walking bridge over San Marcos River. This is a very small park so make your reservations as early as possible. Lots of room between sites. Had 50 amp w/water. Lots of trees so didn't even try Starlink. AT&T hotspot gave us 15 mbs so no issues streaming. A Plus 11 miles from Bucees (Luling, Tx). We camped at Palmetto State Park in a Motorhome.

Fun state park with great trails, boardwalks throughout the trails, beautiful foliage, lots of trees and plants. I meandered amongst the trails and walk/ran 2.5 miles. After a picnic lunch, I took the paddleboard out for three loops of the lake (.5 miles down and back). Scenic and peaceful, I’ll definitely be back.

Overall another lovely Texas State Park.
Compared to some of the other parks with difficult and advanced trails, this is much more laid back. The trails are well maintained and easy to follow, perfect for bikes or even a stroller. You can rent Kayaks or stand up paddle boards to take out on the lake. We saw plenty of fish in the lake and some turtles too. The restrooms were clean along with the grounds. Every Park Ranger we came across was friendly and helpful. A perfect place if you're looking for some outdoor time and have little ones or are enjoying your retirement and need a quiet place to relax.

Palmetto is one of our favorite places to visit! We got engaged here and then had the wild idea of getting married here as well! Definitely worth it. The scenery and pavilion are absolutely amazing. We used a little of what they provided and incorporated our own touches. The park rangers were super helpful (they even came to blow the leafs away before we set up) here are just a handful of photos showing how we used the space inside and out. The backside of the pavilion made for the perfect dance floor!

Such a beautiful park, clean & peaceful. Showers are the absolute BEST! Hot water & great pressure. Whether you are wanting a quiet getaway, hiking trails, water views, fishing, kayaking, playground for kiddos, this park has it all plus awesome amenities. My first time but will definitely be back! Thank you Palmetto State Park & thanks to the wonderful workers! To my fellow Nomads, this park is wonderful for overnights or even day visits. 👌🏽

Great experience, lovely facility, extremely clean campgrounds! Neighbors came and went while we stayed and were a friendly bunch. All ages and stages of life, neat conversations. Many different options of camping experiences tio choose from.

We loved the trails and rode our bikes on each one. The trials are about 75% shade, if not more. We went last weekend, and the RV sites are mostly shaded as well. The San Marcos River was flowing, and we enjoyed cooling off in it. We are hoping to reserve more weekends there. On our way to the State Park, we stopped in Lockhart for some BBQ!

Awesome little park. No sewer, but they have electric and water. Bathrooms have clean showers with high water pressure. Trails are great, easy for anyone to hike or bike on. Definitely a must visit park.

When we went it was pretty nice and quiet. There are workers living quarters by the water campground so thats nice for some safety. The skies were pretty dark and the stars shown brightly if you don’t have lights on or your neighbors you can stargaze. By the restrooms on the back of the large notification boards they have the community books you can borrow. The restrooms by water camp ground have two stalls one regular size and one handicapped the restroom with shower has if I remember two regular size and one handicapped and two showers are kept clean. There is a tornado sign by the shower/restroom so I believe that is where you would take shelter if needed. On the trails I could hear different birds and we also saw deer. Of the three trails I walked on they were well maintained and easy to follow. We didn’t have any issues with bugs. We also needed air for one tire and was able to do that at the park headquarters. There is a Bucee’s nine minutes away if you need more snacks food or drinks. If i came back again I would like to bring my pupper she would enjoy the trails.

Best camping experience so far. The tent grounds and the "Artisan Well" are just spaced out enough to have the privacy to talk amongst your group. The weather was perfect 👍

Pretty site, went to look at potential camping and pavilion use. Camping sites look cozy, flat, well kept, standard amenities. Pavilion info: Six "door" openings are 7ft by 8 ft. Eight picnic tables that seat about 8 each are inside, and 2 larger picnic tables on back deck seat about 10 each. There's an enclosed kitchen and enclosed "dining room" with fireplace attached on the right side of the pavilion.
There's 1 electrical outlet in the main part and bathrooms on the left side. It has 4 ceiling fans and 2 chandeliers, lightswitch not visible, probably in locked dining room/kitchen. Two electrical outlets are visible in (locked) bathroom section. RV camping is close by, and day-use areas are adjacent to the parking lot (about 25 spots) and around pavilion. There are ramps for wheelchairs. There's also a water spigot outside and San Marcos river access.

Great Park, well kept RV spaces 50 amp with water. Does have a dump station for after of during your stay. Trails are excellent about 5 miles worth. There is tent camping which is in separate area of park, far away from. RV spots.
The Circuit of the Americas is a 5.5-kilometer racetrack in Austin, Texas, that hosts professional car racing events such as Formula One United States Grand Prix. The track was designed to give spectators clear views of the action, and its main identifier is an observation tower with a double helix staircase. If you're looking for speed, this is the perfect place to find it.
Awesome venue for racing! Prepare to do a lot of walking as the track is huge, but lots of well spaced amenities during major events. Main grandstand tickets are well worth it when the temperature gets hot as there is almost no shade around the entire track. Most importantly, there are great views of the racing action throughout the venue!

The track itself is nice. Makes for some good racing. I went during the F1 weekend and camped in lot N. They price gouge for everything. Food is 4x normal price, souvenirs are double what you get them for on the official website, and you can't bring anything in from outside. If you come general admission (grass seating only) is oversold these days and it makes for a packed experience. But it's still a great weekend of racing. Lot N camping is very noisy, 1/2 the people run open frame generators all night, there is no enforcement of noise rules at all. Overall. The place is well managed, good directions around, tons of food stands, bathrooms, etc for the crowd size. Come to races very early to get good seats, expect to spend a ton, and have a good time. If they either allowed outside food/drinks or made the prices reasonable, it would be 4 star. 5 star would need to enforce some sort of noise rules or get a bit more space for people. Compared to other tracks I've been to, this is the best track, but not the greatest experience.

Amazing place, Amazing experience. Getting there it's a little bit challenging if you can't walk long distances, parking depending of the event, can get EXTREMELY PRICEY and the cheaper spots are obviously far. Other than that, everything is very organized, important Police presence, people directing traffic to make things flow, others to guide you inside. Everyone had a great attitude, plenty of food options, drinks, it was just fun and exciting. The whole place looks beautiful, very well taken care of.

Such a cool racing track! You have an amazing view from whatever corner you’re sitting at. And of course you can never go wrong with F1 races here in Austin! Amazing crowds make the experience much more fun. Lots of food vendor options and activities for people of all ages. They also have an observation deck with views of the track.

Peppermint parkway is by far one of the best light shows you can attend during Christmas in Austin! The drive is convenient for those with Children that want to stay out of the cold or to avoid winter weather and it's a beautiful drive! Millions of lights and a great selection of displays.
For those that want to visit the village it's packed with fun activities, rides and delicious holiday food and drink options. Fun and convenient for the whole family!

Outdoor events in the summer time in Texas are off putting to me, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. We went for the Godsmack/Stained concert on 8/30. There were plenty of places for food and drinks and water refill stations. Indoor bathrooms were close by and clean.

Had an unreal time at Circuit of the America’s! I was originally going to go for a Cars and Coffee event but it got canceled. Since I was still in the area I still went cause I’d never been there. I was nervous driving around the grounds cause I thought I wasn’t allowed but I was able to park and walk around some amazing cars! I took a shuttle to the observation deck (which was $10 so not bad!) and had a great time. All the people working there were lovely. If you’re a car enthusiast, definitely a must visit.

I got tickets online for the peppermint parkway and the plaza which came with 10 tickets. I also got scammed into purchasing the fast pass which not one person mentioned at any ride or around the raceway. Anyways, ten tickets was more than enough for 2 kids as we had purchased ten more and had to frantically use them up at the end of the night. There were a lot of cute photo ops and plenty to see. The staff was incredibly friendly. My kids had a lot of fun. Really the only complaint I had was the fast pass ordeal. Cool place overall.

Pros - The actual track is amazing,. The main entrance is beautiful and for F1 weekend there were plenty of Porta potties and the main restroom was wonderfully air-conditioned with very organized attendants. The race itself on Sunday was spectacular and the events all weekend were fun entertainment.
Cons - parking, getting in and out was awful. Hour and 22 minutes to park and 3 hours to get out from Lot F on Sunday race day. Traffic controllers were awful.
Food selection while good, lines were so long to get anything to eat or drink, sometimes an hour wait and there were no water bottles to be bought by noon on Sunday. We saw plenty of space where additional food stands or even food trucks could be, to alleviate the long lines and time spent waiting!!! Same with particular merchandise...cleared out by Saturday which was extremely disappointing. Sign posting and lighting inside the track needs improvement and especially for people that are coming in for the first time. Organizers need to go back to the drawing board! The large crowds were expected as seen in ticket sales therefore a much better action plan should have been executed. Just hoping Miami goes a little smoother!

My first in person F1 event and it was everything that I expected. It was so much fun and the cars were amazing to watch. Festival like atmosphere and everyone was so friendly. Plenty of food choices and lots of rest rooms. The only downside is if you park in Lot R be prepared to walk a lot. We had 20,000 steps round trip each day from our car to Section 9. Shuttle service is non-existent from our to Lot R. Shuttle service in general is very lacking for a event like this. I give it 5 Stars for the event and 1 Star for the parking.

Had a great time at the culture club, Berlin and Howard Jones concert. Bought a VIP table up in the Tower Club and was totally worth it in the hundred degree plus weather not to mention we had our own entry and we didn't have to stand in line at the gates. Private bar with your own waitress or waiter, shade, table to put your food, and air condition bathrooms just for your area. Staff was friendly and gave us a great experience. At the end we discovered that there was a roller coaster and some other rides that were included if we so chose to use them. Overall seems to have improved from the last time I was there about 9 years ago. Will definitely be returning.

When I post this and say that it was free that's because I was a team member visiting the track. It was an excellent experience. I have been before with NASCAR teams but this is my first trans-am event which I thoroughly enjoyed. With one notable exception, who shall remain nameless I found the track staff to be ready, courteous and helpful. They were in the process of putting up the Christmas light display and from what I saw it will be truly amazing. Although I did not have a chance to enjoy it first hand.

You want me to come back? Don't try to make all your yearly income in one weekend. $20 for a subpar ("premium"?) can of beer flavored water. Over $30 for a plate of food. The race track layout is good. Resurface it! As F1 drivers were asking for years. Run shuttle to ALL parking lots you charge obnoxious fees for, I'm not here for a hiking trip. You were so not ready for the hot weather weekend, I saw people fading in the line for food, multiple people. Some umbrellas maybe? I'm not asking for cooling fog stations. Still wondering why attendance is dropping for your biggest event of the year?

Came here for the Besame Mucho festival! I had such a great experience seeing so many bands and musicians! This was a whole day event, you need to make sure to bring comfortable should because you’ll find some areas that are grass and others that are with rocks. Other than that, this was such a nice experience here for the festival. Can’t wait for the next one!

Great racing! But I really thought the logistics of getting in and out of the parking lot would have been hashed out by now. Definitely need some more pedestrian walkways from the track to the lot to avoid all the traffic. Plus more seat ushers are needed in the Grandstands. Too many people with out tickets crowding the area for people with tickets.

Went in December for the Peppermint Parkway event and was blown away the walkable events once we got through the light trail. I recommend buying tickets for the fair online as they are cheaper and there are rides worth checking out: roller coaster, Ferris wheel, large carnival rides. Hot cocoa was cheapest at a food truck at $4.75 and $5 everywhere else.

I have gone to F1 since they opened the track in 2012. This was the hottest weekend by far. They were not ready for this. There weren't enough shaded areas, and people were passing out by heat exhaustion.
The food options are good, and the prices are what you would expect at an event like this.
We purchased a parking pass when we purchased our tickets, highly recommended. Also, I would suggest booking your hotel immediately as hotels book up quickly.
I LOVE Formula 1..
I loved seeing Qween with Adam Lambert. It was a GREAT concert.

The electric expo event here was so much fun and organized well. Unfortunately there was a Tesla driver early on Sunday who ruined it for the rest of us and crashed, so we were maxed at 55 mph, but still got to drive on the track which was an incredible experience by itself! Not to mention the Ford drifting demo, my driver Notorious Nick was insane and awesome! I had a great time and got some cool swag but it's kind of like going to an amusement park. You wait in line 30-1hr but you don't get to ride the roller coaster, you're just driving a car down the street 😂 That said, I did get to drive a Porsche, Tesla and BMW (the BMW on the Cota track, the others were on the city street) along with the Ford drifting demo and that took almost all of 5 hrs, but it's definitely recommended if you're interested in all things electric.

First time camping here and loved it! It's a smaller park - only 20 sites & some are quite close together! There are tons of little beautiful trails to explore and enjoy. Not sure if this is the norm here but while camping in April, saw a ton of caterpillars - found out they are Forest Tent Caterpillars. Also there is one restroom area here with three stalls and one shower. Weirdly, this park is known for having a golf course. Definitely check out this gem to get away from the city and chill!

I really enjoyed my first visit to this state park. While not the largest park, I was impressed by the many interconnecting shorter trails which have their own distinct personalities. I parked by the beautifully ccc-constructed recreation hall. Starting down the ccc trail.... I walked all of the trails with the exception of the hilltop trail (which is a shortcut from the southern edge of the park) in about 90 minutes which included many stops to read informational signs and for photo ops.
Finished off with lunch on one of the rec hall benches.
I would count all the trails as easy, but for those not sure-footed, loose rocks on steep downward or upward sections may be of concern.
Well worth another visit!

One of my favorite state parts because of the small trails under the trees. I lost my credit card on the trail and two ladies found it and called the park ranger Jennifer. Lovely state park - perfect walking trails
All the trails are short but with most of them going through minor elevations, this can be a good workout on a weekend.
Most of the trails are a combination of mud and gravels, except clear fork trail - that’s mostly mud. With that said, consider avoiding clear fork trail after the rain or cross over through the creek side- the slopes get slippery and muddy.
Happy travels

Took the train ride, fed the animals that poked their heads into the train and walked the cave. I bought a nice stone necklace at the gift shop. Fair pricing for tickets and merch. There is a place to eat inside the gift shop area and food trucks are parked curbside. Be prepared to get wet when passing under the water fall. Stay seated on the inside of the train if you don't want to get soaked. The tour guides were funny and enthusiastic about their job.

This was a fun experience! It’s like a smaller version of natural bridge caverns. It’s fairly priced I think for what you get. We were able to go in the train ride and hand feed the animals. My daughter loved that! I like that the group we were with was not too big so not overly Crowed. You are guided by a tour guide the whole time, but it moves pretty fast for two hours.
They do have an underground cave to see as well which was cool. Tight squeeze in some areas but you make it work.

We only did the caves in a very busy weekend (labor day weekend)
The down was the administration put like 40 people in our group and It was claustrophobic while we were in the smaller rooms inside of the cave, it became hot and a few of us were dizzy.
The pro, I have to admit we were very impressed by our tour girl ( I think Ashley was her name -Sunday at 3:30pm caves tour) who managed to keep us ALL under control, informed, and comfortable under the circumstances while we cruised the caves. Thank you, girl!
For the caves I think it is a worth experience to explorer them, very unique origen and story behind the place! The star less was because the huge group that shouldn't have happened, so we'd actually enjoy the whole experience properly.

It's a haven for shopaholics, offering luxury and designer labels at discounted prices. The outlet features an extensive range of brands including Prada, Nautica, Valentino, Ann Taylor, Lululemon, Tory Burch, Banana Republic, Gap, Nike, Gucci and more.
The biggest Premium outlet in Texas! It was everything you need to shop. Most of the big brands are located here with big spaces to showcase all their items.
There is a big parking area so even if it gets busy you will have a space to park.
I would advise to go there on weekdays as it gets too crowded on weekends to enjoy.

I love shopping at the Kate Spade and Lulu stores! I also enjoy driving around to see if any store catches my eye. Very nice outlet mall where you can find great deals. I had snacks and water in my car so that I could drop off stuff and take a mini break before driving to other stores. I did stop at restrooms every now and then, and had to look at a map and then drive to them.

Really nice big Outlet with high end Shops.
Prada, Gucci, Versace, Coach, etc.
And I hope you don’t have to use the restrooms!
THEY ARE DISGUSTING.
At least the 3 that I inspected during my review.
The Lawns and Grounds need attention.
Management needs to walk the place and see the flaws……..

This place has everything for everyone to shop from! Lovely place! There's lots of food, snack, n drink choices and places to sit n take a break as well! ...EVEN a extra large chess game in the courtyard to play! 🥰👍👍

Beautiful shopping center with nice stores. I do wish the outside vendors were held to higher expectations and the indoor food court was definitely lacking. You would expect more for the type of stores around.

Love this place! They have all the stores the I love, I come 3 times per year to get all the things the I need, the prices on the high end store are AMAZING!!!
Pd. The new store of niche perfume is really good 👍 , the got all the Valentino collection

Some deals. At this outlet most things are priced pretty close to retail. After 3 trips over 2 years I finally found a deal at the under armor store. The Coach store was out of a variety of mens accessories 12/28. The bathrooms at the food court are horrible. Most truck stops have better bathrooms. Whats up with that. Not good !!!

A very very big premium outlets with lots and lots of brands so you can be pretty much guaranteed that you will be spoilt for choices. I don't think I want to start writing down the name of shops as it is gonna be a long long list! ;)
Parking spots are easily available if you go early. But since the area is so big, be prepared to spend easily the whole day if you are a tourist and you have a lot of stuff to buy.
I recall seeing a few pop up stalls selling food and drinks but I don't think there is a food court around nearby. And the washroom looks pretty old and not clean so that is the only reason why I deducted one star.
Otherwise I usually drops by at least once whenever I am in town.

Plenty of walking around and a lot of outlets to see. The parking wasn't great they could add a bit more parking to the area of even a parking garage. I did not see any public restrooms that were available in the area that we were walking in where all the clothing was. Not a lot of food stands but, the food stands that were there did smell great as we passed it by.

My family and I love shopping here!! It has many stores and restaurants to choose from. My kids love coming to spend thier birthday money here. Also the bathrooms have always been very clean and well stocked every time I've used them. Good way to get your exercise in too.

Very large outlet. Almost all well known brands are there. I been here in a cold rainy day and walk around shops but I recommend to drive between quarters as parking are available and easy to find. Not all shops with outlet price and no discounts. So expect to pay full price.

Good outlet just a lot of walking and i. The summer bring water and prepare to walk or repark car. Went today and the high was 112 being all cement and not much shade besides the walkway outside the buildings

I'm not sure how the ratings are so high. It's not worth the 6 hour drive we made. There are no phenomenal prices. Everything is the same as the sale prices you can find at home in the normal store. This is truly a normal shopping center. There are plenty of stores in one place though so I gave 2 stars.

Visited the outlet after many years and was impressed with the variety of brands available.
Due to Black Friday the parking was hard to find. Has huge parking lot. Tanger outlets are right next to it.

The place is like heaven for shopping,You will almost all brands outlet here. They have good deals during festive time. During holiday season some outlets have long queue to enter to it,Going early in morning on those days will help avoid queues.
Ample car parking available. Also have play areas for kids and clean washrooms.
If you are travelling from other states I think you can also claim back the Tax amount spent on purchases.

So many great stores here…..Abercrombie and Fitch, Coach, Aeropastel, Klarin, Pottery Barn, Nike, Converse, Lu Lu Lemon, New Balance, Francesca’s, Gap, Guess, and SOOOO many more! You definitely need a couple days to shop this whole outlet center! There are some great deals to be had also. My daughter and I had a great time exploring all of the great outlet stores!
Theresa Goodwin — Google review
This places USED to have great deals. Their prices are not at all outlet prices. I have found much better deals at retail outlets like Macys and Dillards with much less of a hassle. False advertising. With the 50-70% off you will still be paying a high price not at all outlet price. Now, it’s just hype-beware.
juan lozano — Google review
They have most stores you would expect from a Simons Premium Outlet. I love the architecture, “castle” vibes. Huge! Wear comfy shoes, you will walk a lot. Lots of parking “free” (at least when we went, which was on a Friday), we had to re-park since the place is too huge and did not want to walk so much. Also, Decent prices, not a lot of sales going on when I went though. This only get 3 stars mainly because I was so disappointed from the lack of food choices. You would think, the biggest outlet in Texas would have variety of food choices but boy you’re so wrong. There is a food court, yes. But there are literally only 3 stores open and the food was horrible, seriously. So bring your own snacks if you plan to spend a whole day here, dont even waste your money buying food from the foodcourt because it’s not worth it. You will have fun shopping though.

What can I say this place is a shopping paradise and a non-shoppers nightmare. Parking can be crazy on the weekends as the place fills up fast. There’s pretty much every store here with decent bargains if you look around. We come once or twice a year and always leave feeling we got some good deals.
Year-round, kid-friendly destination featuring rides, go-karts, a climbing wall, water park & more.
Had a great time here! If you are a rollercoaster enthusiasts, this place is definitely worth the trip for the credit. Switchback is a very unique wooden rollercoaster with some surprising elements. If you want to visit with most bang for your buck I recommend coming the last 3 hours the park is open. $20 for unlimited rides on most of their attractions. Throw an extra $8 and you get dinner as well!

This is an awesome little family owned park right in a country town. Definitely exceeds expectations! Perfect for a birthday or really any event. Pricing is great. Recommend a membership if you're within an hours drive.

Several fun outdoor amusement park rides, including a roller coaster, that the kids were able to ride over and over again to their hearts content. Inside they had lots and lots of arcade games that are all free play, and they had rock climbing and a trampoline thing. So much for the kids to do, and they can come and go from the different areas whenever. They spent 6hrs there yesterday and only left because the park was literally closing for the night. Not a cheap place, but you get a lot for your money, especially if your kids are there for more than a few hours.
***I was told that typically it's very very busy on the weekends, so get there as early as you can. They said it was unusual for it to be not crowded like it was yesterday.

Wooden roller coaster is super cool. Small little park (went in winter, so no water park) no lines, fun afternoon for a birthday. Clean and tidy.
Staff are polite and nice too.

We had a fun time at ZDT's Amusement Park. While they only have one rollercoaster, Switchback, it is a fun, fast, and unique ride that you get to experience both forward and in reverse. Additionally, they have several other thrill rides that you can go on when you get tired of the Switchback, as well as go-carts, rock climbing, arcade games, a MaxFlight Motion Simulator, and when in season, water rides. And I even liked the food here. Plus, they are cheaper to go to than SeaWorld or Six Flags in San Antonio and the lines are usually much shorter. All in all, ZDT's Amusement Park is a fun way to spend a day, and is definitely worth the drive from San Antonio or Austin.
Taylor Spencer — Google review
We had a great day! Forgot swimsuits so I can't rate water slides but the arcade and inside stuff was great. Outside rides were perfect for my family. Only time we experienced a line was for food (a birthday party backed them up) but the people running it did a great job.

My daughter loves this place. It was our 3rd year coming for her birthday. Admission is free for adults. We use a coupon for $135, includes:
4 passes with all attractions, x-lg pizza, and 4 drinks. That's a great deal.
Amber Alvarado — Google review
I can't say enough positive things about ZDT's amusement park! The all inclusive day pass, which include the arcade, roller coaster rides, bumper cars and water rides- oh, and there's also a two story indoor playground with ball cannons and a 60ft climbing wall, a roller coaster simulator like there's literally something for everyone to do and the price is only $29.95. You can also had a meal package to each ticket, which I believe is only $7? But check the website for more info on that. You just can't beat the price for all of the fun the kids have. It's also very group friendly, so for church groups or day cares the prices are extremely affordable. I took my 9 year old son and my 12 year old niece and they had a blast.
Sommer Holmes — Google review
Love this little park. Reasonable prices for entry and food, and no ticket fee for me, the adult chaperone! And reasonable rules- you can bring in your own food as long as you plan to eat in one of the outdoor areas. I brought three 11 year old boys, gave each an all-access wristband (including lunch) and parked myself at an air-conditioned table to get some work done and read. The food was great and the atmosphere was just right. I was easy for them to find and didn’t worry about their safety. Yes, it’s small if you’re comparing it to Six Flags, but I don’t want to go to Six Flags ever again in my life. I will easily come here again and again as long as my kids are happy here!

There is no measure to how much we are so thankful, grateful and blessed to have met Dan & Kayden at the Go-Carts. This was life changing and an experience we will never forget! We have been trying to get our toddler to ride anything for 2.5 years, baby slides, baby pools, even the toddler car quarter machine ride he would not go to. But Dan & Kayden were so nice and friendly, he got to go on his first go-cart ride with Mommy & Daddy. He looped around 6x!! He was so excited he couldn't wait to go down the water slide and we went down 6x again! The freefall, and even the roller coaster did not phase him anymore!! We will be forever grateful to the entire team out at ZDT, from the front desk, and all the operators. Everyone was truly respectful, helpful and friendly. Management has done an excellent job selecting this wonderful team. Place was immaculately clean, even I looked under the rollercoaster and other rides for litter. Service, Presentation, Staff & Entertainment beats all the other parks hands down. Great job team. Keep it up! Life-changing for our entire family of 5. Thank you again.

If I could give negative stars I would. Let's start this post by saying the pictures are deceiving. The pictures portray this place as way bigger than it actually is, but you will be sorley mistaken. The price is way over priced for what they offer. When we walked in there was only 4 rides and the arcade, which is VERY small, and the go-carts was a bit of a wait. That was the only thing that was kind of worth it. The rock climb line was ridiculous. I can't even tell you how long that line was. All the water rides were closed and it definitely was not clearly marked big enough on their website. I will tell anyone that is reading this, PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. PLEASE SPEND YOUR HARD EARN MONEY AND TIME SOMEWHERE ELSE. A regular park with swings and a merry-go-round would be more fun than this place!!!!

Had a great time visiting ZDT Amusement Park in Seguin. What a perfect place to bring the kids on a weekend afternoon. Plenty of fun which includes a very impressive wooden rollercoaster, race track, miniature parachute drop, amazing wall climbs, miniature water park, and vintage video games. Certainly a great place to have a kids birthday party with so many different party areas to choose from. The park is very well maintained and also very family friendly. Highly recommended!!

This is an awsome place to take kids or grandkids when your on vacation. It is a smaller more personal experience then the big theme parks in the San Antonio at a fraction of the cost. Wrist band pays for everything. Rides were great, Waterpark rides were really fun and the food was good and affordable. Wish we had a place like this back home in Missouri. I give this park 5 stars.

You can spend the day here and not get bored! The unlimited pass is a great deal if you want indoor and outdoor activities. The water park has 3 slides and a splash pad with a changing area. Lots of arcade games like guitar hero and halo. Large indoor playground, rock wall, bungee trampoline and virtual Rollercoaster. There is a Rollercoaster outside too with a few other rides and go carts. Bathrooms were clean. Food is a little pricey but no too crazy. Indoor and outdoor seating areas.
Gruene Historic District, established in the mid-1840s by German settlers, flourished with numerous buildings. However, a string of disasters led to its decline around 1922, causing many businesses to close their doors.
The Schlitterbahn Waterpark in New Braunfels Texas is a park with a variety of rides and pools. It's owned by a family and has been recognized as one of the best waterparks in the world for the last 15 years.
We had a great time. We bought the Premium meal plan which allows you to eat/snack every 90 minutes and get a drink every 15 minutes. It is well worth the price. Also, we got the Blast Passes so that we could reduce the time spent waiting in lines. Even with passes, you can't see everything in a day. I ended up losing my sunglasses, so if you wear glasses, make sure to wear the glasses string to keep them on your head!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still the hotest coolest time in Texas. Haven't been to the original in probably 10 years. So long that my son barely remembers and asked if we could visit. A lot has changed - digital codes to access the lockers instead of a key on a wristband, Google and Apple Pay instead of a wristband of plastic "splash cash" to buy food and drinks. Yet, much remains the same - free parking, the ability to bring in your own cooler of food and drinks, and more water rides and play areas than you can shake a stick at. I've read recent reviews complaining about rides and unfriendly staff this summer and lamenting the new ownership. This was not our experience. There were a few things that weren't operating, which was annoying in cases. However, our experience with the staff was as friendly as it has always been. It's still a great place to spend cooling off during the hot Summer days.

Schlitterbahn is a "must" for hot Texas summer. There are plenty of things to do and you need at least one day for each park to see and try most of the rides.

First time here. Lines were kinda long for rides but moved steady. Drinks were good and cold. The lazy river with the tubes was awesome and only 3 ft deep however the waves are forceful to propel us forward but can take a small child fast from his family so be careful with small children. I'm planning another trip already because I want to definitely go back.

Beautiful place along the Comal River. Rides for all ages and pools to hang out in if you don’t like lines. It was clean and had plenty of tables. Although many of kids employed around the park seemed clueless, there were lifeguards everywhere and they appeared to be well trained and friendly.

So much fun for all ages. I’m pregnant so couldn’t ride too many rides but we still had fun. The Kristal River was awesome. Kids loved the Falls and the kiddie area in the original park.

We started this trip with an excited experience but turned out with little disappointment.
Trust me its not to ruin your holiday mood but to consider these points to make your trip planning better.
And these points mainly applicable if you visiting on a weekend/holiday where heavy crowd is expected.
Visited on a weekend morning. Arrived around 10am but it was around crowded that time with all parking slots filled up.
Now we had to book in premium parking
Secondly no shade for entrance crowd for security clearance, lot of people with kids are standing under hot sun. Wish management does something for crowd management or atleast an shade.
Secondly every ride gets super busy/crowded and wait time gets multi folded. As well interacted with multiple people, at max you can do 3/4 rides in a park out of 2 parks
Its better you get 2 day pass if plan to visit both the parks.
Better suggested to visit on weekday or non crowded days for better enjoyment, a personal suggestion

It was a lot of fun. However the blast pass needs huge improvements. The wait times are not consistent with actual wait times. It showed 150min wait on the watch, while there was only 45min wait. But other than that, it was a lot of fun.

Nice facility. Great rides.
Entry fees are a bit outrageous 2 adults. 1x16 yo, 1x15 yo, 1x13 yo, 1x11 yo. $575. Never again!
And. Do NOT get your food or refreshments at the Lagoon Grill. Extensive, unwarranted wait.
Otherwise. Super Nice water park.

Note: we are Season ticket holders.
This water park is a great experience for me and my family. We have children ages: 18, 16, 13, 6 & 2. There are a lot of shaded areas, lockers, picnic tables, tubes, soda/icee locations, restaurants, etc.
As a season ticket holder you can bring in a cooler (27” x 16”) which is great. You can bring in your own personal bottle and you can fill it up with water.
I’ve found the staff to be friendly despite being in the hot Texas sun all day.
If you want close free parking come early.
I look forward to going back!

I went on a Saturday with my family. Very beautiful, clean and family friendly water park. Water tube rides aka lazy rivers had different themed courses and thrill levels. Water slides were enjoyable. There were long lines but they were fast moving. Every ride we went were worth the wait and money. We were able enjoy it more than once. Definitely recommend. ❤️

Seems very disorganized. Got there right as they opened but in order to get the blast pass that was paid for online, you have to go to the main entrance and wait in line to receive the wrist bands (for us it took almost 30 minutes of waiting) which seems so counterproductive. The blast pass is like a reservation and you can only make one reservation for a ride at a time. I get that it’s probably meant to not abuse the privilege but we were only able to utilize it on 4 rides the entire day. There needs to be so much more signage around the parks in general, it’s so easy to not know what you’re doing or where you’re going unless you are a seasoned member. Also, asking for directions or how to get somewhere you could get 4 different answers from 4 different employees. Just disorganized. Also, we brought several beach towels, there’s really no need if it’s hot outside. We dried off before we even made it to the shuttle because it was so hot. Also, water shoes/socks are a must! If you have older kids make sure you’re starting at the right park, we started at the wrong park which seemed to be geared more toward younger kids.

Thank you Schlitterbahn for the best summer! Buying a season pass was well worth it. I was there all summer having a blast. The negative is a blast pass is a must if you wanna have fun. The lines are too long!

Great time for the family. Love the free parking and bring your own food and drinks option available. Highly recommend to wear water shoes . Plenty natural shades in picnic areas. They force you to get off at the end, which is reasonable. Line for this was about 30 minutes. Line to get into the wave pool area was longer (can't just walk into the wave pool area anymore). No line to get into the lazy river in the kids area.

By far our favorite visit this summer!! A little disappointed with the lack of organization trying to buy the meal passes for the day. It took an hour and repeated visits to get our correct meals. It was 107 degrees the day we would hear a lot of people had the same issue with being able to refill their drink cups. It is so important to stay hydrated with this heat. There should be more stations available to accommodate. Two people passed out from dehydration. That being said, we had a blast. We loved both parks and all of the fun rides. We took the tram to the original park and fell in love with the wave pool. It was a BLAST!!!! We hope to be able to go again!

We had so much fun! I grew up in San Antonio, but live near Dallas. It was so exciting to bring my kids back and to see all that has changed since I was last here in the late '90's. We stayed ALL day and could've spent a few more days. The Falls was, by far, everyone's favorite ride, but the classic, Raging River, was still amazing. We can't wait to come back!
Landa Park is a popular urban oasis in the heart of New Braunfels, Texas.
Always love this park. It's a perfect place to get out and enjoy nature, visit a 300+ year old tree, take a train ride with the kids, picnic with family and friends. Also great for weddings and celebrations at the gazebo. I've been coming here for over 40 years (since I was a little kid). It's changed some, but only to bring enjoyment to more people. The city has done a good job keeping this park beautiful and for the people.

This park pleasantly surprised. Initially hailing from a place of remarkable beauty and awe, I was astounded upon arriving at this park with my family. The weather was ideal, with an unblemished sky. The ducks were inviting and friendly. I highly recommend this park to anyone seeking to enjoy the outdoors without venturing too far. The water is shallow, and the variety of trees is magnificent. Great park. Well maintained and clean. We stayed around the playground area for the most part and the equipment was really nice and clean. There are several separate areas of swings, small children (3-5 years old) play structures, larger children structures, etc. Most of them have the nice rubber floor that kids won’t hurt themselves on.
The play structures are all in very shaded areas which makes playing there very pleasant. Great place to bring kids of all ages.

We went as a day trip during spring break. The kids had so much fun and all the activities were very inexpensive. Landa Park has long been one of my favorite parks. This park is huge. You can see the river in several different spots, including where it springs up from underground. You can rent paddle boats and ride a small train. You can rent picnic tables. Or simply walk around or hike some of the trails. Its a beautiful place to exist in nature. You will probably see deer. Check out the tiny salt pepper historic mine as well. There are bathrooms thankfully.

This park is amazing, full of beautiful trees with one amazing old oak tree that if it could talk would definitely tell you the whole history of the area. They have picnic tables with grills all over the park, all under a canopy of tree shade. There is a train that you can hop on for a small fee that goes all around the whole park. They have paddle boats, bountiful walking trails, and hiking trails. The park is nature at its finest. The park is definitely one of the crown jewels of New Braunfels. It is maintained immaculately, clean everywhere you look at. The hiking trail is really fun about 2 miles round trip with lots of sub trails that you can venture off of the main trail. Very serene and peaceful is the only way to describe this park. It should be a must see for anyone visiting the New Braunfels area.

New Braunfels TX has no shortness of parks and water activities
Landa parks has something for everyone even a miniature train that you can ride around the park.
It has wonderful paved and unpaved trails. It has beautiful places to photo. Walking along the many parts that have water and the bridges that connect this well laid out park is wonderful.
When the weather is warm I really suggest a picnic lunch near any of the many spots. Many spots have ducks floating around.
It was not busy when we went there but understand it can get a little crowded during holidays.
My GPS kept leading us in the wrong direction so watch for the clear marked signs on the posts or use the map on your phone or the old fashion paper map.
We spent several hours walking the easy trails. New Braunfels has done a great job keeping this park up. Dog are permitted if on a lease.
One thing to be aware of is the parking fees so check ahead as they do not all take money. When we went in December I called to find out they do not charge in the winter months but unless you want to electronic pay give the park a call.
I hope you give this park a visit we certainly want to return.
Hats off to all the workers that keep this park in top shelf condition

Beautiful place with a lot of things to do. Nice gardens with wading pools, open spaces, a load of playgrounds and an inexpensive train ride for kids. Certain parking lots and roads are restricted for cars during the weekends and holidays, which makes sense for safety reasons since there are so many people near the play area. The trails are big too. Perfect place for a jog or a day out with friends & family.
Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo is a popular roadside attraction in New Braunfels with more than 500 different species of animals, including primates, exotic breeds, and a petting zoo. It features interactive shows and exhibits as well as an animal nursery.
Great experience! Loads of fun for its size. The variety of animals is awesome, they're so close you can actually see them and really get to know their size and beauty. Very informative too, the keepers are very knowledgeable. The petting zoo was awesome as well. The Llama was so gentle it let my 5 year old hug him several times. The goats were excited and were very involved lol. Overall was a great experience and I can't wait to see them expand!

This place is so much fun. My 4yo and 2yo both loved it, especially feeding the goats and llama at the petting zoo. Being the first week of August, it was really really hot and dry, so most of the bigger animals were secluded in the shade. We will be back to visit during a cooler time of year. One area is currently under construction, but the whole place was wheelchair/stroller friendly. The staff was very friendly and attentive when my niece got stung by a bee. Overall, it was a great experience.

We visited on an early Sunday morning. The line was not too long. When we left, however, the line was super long to get in. My daughter had a good time looking at all the animals. I enjoyed all the chickens and roosters walking freely. The feed for the goats is 5 dollars. I do wish they had the option of having a bottle with milk too.
I was surprised to see lions, a jaguar, panther, camels and other large animals there too. I thought they only had snakes and peeting animals.
Although I did like seeing the larger animals (like lions) up close I cant help but feel bad for them at the same time.

We loved this snake farm zoo, it’s very nice place to go if you love snakes, wild and farm animals and you can feed them as well. Very friendly, well informed people, clean and quite zoo. We didn’t buy the tickets before, no line and it was Easter holiday. You can buy for additional cost some food to feed animals, 5$ cup, happy animals and happy kids! Free shows with animals every 30 min. Absolutely recommended.

This zoo is awesome for kids! I brought my family and we were not disappointed. Lots of snakes and reptiles when you first walk in, and lots of animals when you go out the back. When I was there they had staff showing animals in a sort of class setting which I thought was awesome, and the kids loved the petting zoo. Only thing I didn’t like about the place was that they have a snow cone/frozen ice place in the back and it is completely overtaken by bees, but besides that it easily earns 5 starts!

Great experience took our 19 month old and we had a blast. I have never been so close to the animals at any other zoo. The petting zoo was especially fun with goats and the llama. The snake walk was nice as well. A vast array of reptiles in clean well kept cages. We will be back for sure. Better than Austin zoo by far.

The best Zoo I've been to. And I've been to the San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas zoos. They have larger animals like wolf's, lions, crocodiles, and buffalo. And my favorite the capibara.
They're missing large animals like gorillas, chimps, elephants, rhino's, hippos, bears, and giraffes.
For $20 I got to see the animals up close and visit the petting zoo area. Amazing place to bring your kids. The gift shop was great too.

I have passed the 35 Snake Farm for years on I-35. It’s always stood out like a sore thumb and appeared to be a random small roadside attraction that made me chuckle a little bit when passing based off the pure randomness of it.
I decided one day to give it a shot and I was very surprised! This “snake farm” small zoo is very well run and surprisingly feels bigger than what it appears from the road side.
The habitats seem very well kept and the paths to get to everything were spacious.
It was of course interesting to see all the snakes but our family really enjoyed seeing the bison and feeding the free roaming chickens and peacocks.
I was worried that this might be like Tiger King but the staff seemed overall very friendly an engaged with everything going on.
If you get the chance I people definitely recommend making the stop and checking it out. My family ended up spending 3 hours here and will be back again!

This place has grown a lot. I was unaware of the additions and was not disappointed. The wolf was in distress, the lion depressed, and the little fox was clawing at the door. You can see the fox's claw marks. As an adult, it was hard to enjoy seeing all that, but the children enjoyed seeing and feeding the animals.

This place is so cute. It's kinda small but it has a lot of potential. Tons of snakes and different animals. Lions, hyenas, jaguars, and even wolves. I would definitely bring the family. Kids would be excited about this place!

If you love snakes and exotic animals/big cats, then this is the place to go. Private family owned zoo that specializes in snakes (obviously), but also has other animals in their outdoor area, birds, lions, Jaguar, black panther, bison, hyenas, alligators, zebras, lemurs and more. There are chickens and peacocks wandering freely outside as well.
All the money you spend goes directly to support the zoo, they don't receive any state funding. They have a breeding program that helps requirements endangered species in partnership with other zoos, like the San Antonio zoo. They were featured on dirty jobs, so you can look that up to get an inside peak on what they do there.
There are periodical presentations around the park with various animals, a petting zoo where you can feed the animals, live feeding of the hyenas, wolves and lions as well as personal one on one interactions with the animals, that one you have to pay for. Very interesting little zoo that has more to offer than you would think for a small place on the side of the highway.
They told us that they just acquired another sizeable chunk of land to expand the zoo, so more stuff coming in the near future.

Small zoo but it's just perfect for visiting in the hot summer. Most of the outside is shaded. I love the free roaming roosters and peacocks. What I liked most is that all the animals were out so we didn't miss any of them.

Totally adorable little zoo! So much to see, learn and do! I loved the encounters. We had the Capybaras, Red Ruffed Lemur and Burmese Python. Kevin and Skyler were 2 of the animal hosts and they were wonderful. They really love those animals. Everyone was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve lived in Texas forever and have seen the signs for this place for years but never had went. I’m so glad we finally did.

We were delighted to stumble across this hidden gem in the San Antonio/Comal County area. My family and I frequent a lot of parks, zoos, museums, resorts, etc., so we're familiar with the industry/terrain of "family-friendly" fun. The line moved a little slow to get us in the doors but we eventually got in and got our tickets for entry; perhaps there are online tickets I could have purchased ahead of time? Disappointed at how high the costs were to enter; I believe it was around $30 per person? I understand the cost of running an establishment of this nature but for a family of four, that's $120 (maybe higher) plus tax? Plus gift shop, food to feed the animals, snacks/drinks, etc.; too high. There is, however, a great selection of snakes and animals to learn about. The place makes for a real educational experience. The kids and entire family had a great time with how close we were able to get to the exhibits/animals, the variety of species, and the petting/feeding zones. More restrooms are an absolute must and non-negotiable for how many people frequent the zoo; there are outdoor port-a-potties, but in this heat, who could stand being in there for more than 10 seconds? Way too hot for that. Overall, good but not great due to costs and restrooms. Let us know when you want us back and we'll try to have a better experience.

Wonderful time at the snake farm zoo! Lots of gorgeous snakes and even many unexpected animals like white lions and hyenas! We also got to pet Simon, a rather large python who was every sweet. Would absolutely recommend. We got there around 2 on a Monday and there were not many people there but after about 3p the families really came in! Tickets were a little cheaper in person at $20 per adult and the feed cups for the petting zoo were $5 each (definitely recommend).

Was quaint and small enough to enjoy in a personal way. They don't rush you, and you stay as long as you like. The variety of snakes is incredible. It is an opportunity to learn so much about snakes. The zoo animals are beautiful, and petting zoo is very entertaining. Adults and children will enjoy.

Fun family adventure!
The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable about all the animals. They have events every half hour, from feedings to general education shows. You can interact with the bisons, a baby alligator, goats, baby cows, a lama/alpaca, chickens, capybaras, pigs, and a snake.
There are animal encounters you can purchase. We chose the fox one, and we all got to take turns sitting with the fox on our lap and petting him (Joe). We bombard the handler with questions, and she knew all the answers. Was a very educated and fun experience!
They even have a snack truck on the lot where you can get beer!
I will admit, I've driven past that building at least 50 times over the past 20 years, and I never knew they had more than snakes. I think it's a common misconception. The eyes skip right over the "Animal World" and only focus on "Snake Farm".
I will definitely make my way back there again. It would be a fun adventure to bring visiting family and friends.

This was a nice little zoo at which to spend an afternoon. For $20/person, we definitely got our money's worth! My family and I were visiting from Southern California, and we don't have many zoos like this around.
As soon as you walk through the front door YOU ARE IN IT! Snakes and lizards to the left and right! They even had an anaconda and a black mamba! The staff are all very nice and helpful, and they make announcements for all guests to know when a particular animal was going to be fed so that you can join and, depending on the animal, participate!
I highly recommend that you visit this place!

I had a very fun experiencing getting to feed and interact with all of the animals! It’s a nice place to check out with friends and family. There’s also a lot of information regarding where the animals are from, what they like to eat, etc. Definitely make time to spend a couple of hours here as there is a lot to see and do.

This is a nice little zoo! It's expanded greatly over the last couple decades from a little roadside attraction to a full fledged and accredited zoo, which is great to see.
The place is kept in great condition, and the animals all were active and in good health. The staff were all well informed and friendly, and the different live shows and experiences made for a very enjoyable experience. I personally did the fennec fox experience, and got to spend some time petting Joe, an adorable fennec fox that was super soft to the touch!
They have plenty of shade in the outdoor areas with covered pathways, so you're not going to be in the sun all the time, which is nice. The place has been undergoing renovations, too, and the habitats for the animals, and pathways for the humans, look better than ever!
While I very much enjoyed my time here, I do have two complaints I hope this place works on in the future. A lack of bathrooms and food/water. There's a single bathroom, and several port-a-potties in one corner of the facility, and the only food was some bottles of soda and water with a water fountain at the front desk, and an ice cream truck in the back. A full fledged snack bar and expanded restroom facilities would help to make this place even better than it already is.

Great place to come and relax, especially during feeding time. I come here at least twice a week after work just to clear my head before I go home to the wife and kids. The prawn enchiladas at the gift shop are pretty good too, albeit a little on the spicy side. Clean bathrooms as well.

This place was a lot of fun! The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable! There were way more animals than I was expecting and the parking was adequate and free! I will say that I think you get a better experience earlier in the day, by midday the animals were definitely losing interest and weren't as engaging as they were earlier.
My only complaint is that they only provide enrichment for the large animals "at least 2x a week" and many of the animals were really bored and did not look happy.

I was disappointed to see many enclosures closed and empty. A lot is under construction and they are still charging full price. I went at noon during a week day and I don’t feel I got all my moneys worth. But we still enjoyed learning about the few animals that were there. Sad to see the panthers missing.
Had a wonderful experience with the staff here and where really friendly. Our boat was amazing just note they have red zones marked DO NOT GO THERE. Austin, Westin, and the deck hand on the 23rd where very helpful with anything we needed. 12/10 stars highly recommend you come here to rent. Nice boats and nice facility. BOOK HERE!!!!

My 13 yr old daughter and I rented a JetSki yesterday. These people made our experience very easy and they were so helpful with everything. This is one of our first vacations to do completely on our own since her father passed away. These folks were so pleasant and happy to deal with. Everything was explained thoroughly and they made sure we had everything we needed when we launched off.
We will always come back here when we come back to the beautiful Canyon Lake.

I had an amazing experience. You can get the jetsky for around 120 hourly at the marine place that is by the park entrance, they charge for every time you go inn so if you need to go out to get something, you gonna pay again even if you just got inn 😒. But anyway My kids enjoy the ride 😋

The entire team from the boat repair shop to the ship store are absolutely amazing! We have had two major repairs / upgrades completed on our boat over the past 5 months. Mike and his crew up in the shop were fantastic! The Ship Store staff and management are also fantastic. This place is our home away from home enjoying our boat on the weekends. Highly recommend!

Cute little spot to stop for refreshments or anything you forgot to bring on your boat trip … like gas ⛽️ 😂 …we did that, lol. Haven’t eaten at the restaurant yet but want to, it’s the only restaurant in Canyon Lake that’s actually on the lake!

Friendly staff to help with any questions you may have launching your boat from the marina boat ramp. Nice boat dock to temporarily park your boat while parking your vehicle with your boat trailer. Parking was great for boat trailer as well as plenty of room for additional guest parking. Clean and well maintained bathrooms with nice complimentary showers.
