This place is beyond superb!! Was on a few week road trip up the coast and ran into this little HEAVEN a few weeks ago. I can’t remember the last time I had such great customer service. Just all around Genuinely kind , groovy folks, and loving their jobs. Food was great, we got a bit of everything. Ate next to the water and fire pit, where they allowed my dog to join. Met the owner who lives on the property , who was also a darling.
These People are doing it all so right!!
Thank You !!!

Went there for deliciously fresh clams, oysters and crabs and the view was so beautiful. Ariel was so wonderful, she explained how to order and let us pick our own crabs. After eating we sat by the fire and enjoyed the views before heading to the next destination. Great experience overall, can’t wait to come back to Oregon just to go to this place for seafood lol

Great time on the water crabbing. Grant was super helpful and full of tips and information. Boating was better having someone explain the controls and be nearby for help, if it was needed. Caught a 🦀 in the first few minutes.

If you want some of the best and fresh tasting crab of your life you need to come here. It is definitely a trip out, but the views and atmosphere makes it even better. The people working there were really nice and the place overall was so peaceful. 10/10 recommend!

Yesss! Perfect afternoon on the dock w our two kiddos. Pulled up at least 50 crabs in 2.5 hours, only two of which were big enough. No one else on the dock, beers and beauty. Unpretentious and approachable. Ate our crabs plus oysters and clams on paper plates w bay seasoning by the smoldering fire and threw the shells back to the sea and seagulls

Amazing spot to pick up fresh clams and crab! This was our first time doing this sort of thing and the staff were all super friendly and honest with their recommendations. We got 4 crabs and 2 lb of the Manila steamer clams. They prepped and cooked them for us to take home for dinner. Plenty of food for 5 adults. We absolutely devoured all of it! While we waited the 20 mins for them to cook we enjoyed the wild life in the area. Otters were playing on the dock and swimming around, seals were laying on the beach across the water and seagulls. Such a cool spot!

I almost hesitate to write this review because I don’t want the secret to get out about this place. Jetty is awesome. The staff are fantastic, you can’t beat the views and the dock crabbing is hot! You can buy fresh seafood if you don’t catch your own and eat it fresh by the fire while you enjoy a beer. We love Jetty and recommend it over anywhere else in the area. 🦀🎣

First time here and had a lot of fun. Watched as the family collected crabs, threw back the females, and had a few escaped on their own.. lol, they got a great little shop with food, supplies, and even ice cream. But the one thing to mention was the folks that worked there. They gave great friendly service with a smile. When so many businesses are running short staffed, Jetty Fizhery did it with a warm-hearted smile. Great job, guys, and I will be back again. Say hiya to the pelican... He was a nice added gem to the place.

We stayed at the RV sites and launched our boat from there dock. It was a bit pricy $60 a night to stay but there's power and water at each site. The location was spectacular and the people working there were super nice and helpful. A woman working there (didn't get her name) was extremely helpful with tips on crabbing and where to get the best crab. All in all I really liked the place. If you wanna shower bring quarters.

Grant and Josh were super friendly and helpful. Carl the orca (a.k.a. cat) is incredible. I recommend getting a crab all to yourself. It was so delicious 😍 At the end, you can throw your scraps to the seagulls!

A great Marina on Nehalem Bay. Great place to get seafood, hang out and watch the crabbers and fishermen by a well stoked outdoor fire. Very pleasant and helpful staff!

My wife and had a great experience what an awesome stop on our driving vacation. We didn’t have time to rent crab traps and do some fishing, but we did get to order some crabs, oysters, and a couple of beers. Highly recommend Jetty Fisheries

Always the highlight of our trip! Our kids love eating crab, which they do faster than we can crack them open. Friendly and very helpful staff! Love coming here!!

Had the BEST TIME EVER on the Northern Oregon Coast!! This place is such a gem!! From the awesome staff...really, truly, genuinely great people, Thanks Josh M., to the seafood dinner prepared there...Best Crab and
Steamer Clams I have ever had, to the clean quiet waterside space...I have found my family's Basecamp while we visit nearby family and explore the area. Do yourself a favor...skip the crowd everywhere else and stay here. We had an RV site for our truck but they offer tent sites as well. Also boat rentals and crab gear....a small general store and last but certainly not least...clean restrooms with a shower....I may never go home!!
And don't even get me started on the sunset......

Came and went crabbing for 2 hours. Rented a boat, came back caught 6 huge crabs. Had them cooked by their staff and it was the worst cooked crab I have ever had! Usually we go to Kelly marina. Our trays were covered in water. Everytime we cracked the legs water poured out. It was beyond horrible! Definitely sticking with Kelly marina after trying this place. We only came here because Kelly had an event going on where a company rented all their boats…. Plus Kelly doesn’t require a 300 dollar deposit. You don’t know about until you arrive. And their atm is a 3.50 fee in case y’all are wondering

Great place to stay, small and quaint. Everything within walking distance. 1 1/2 mile to the beautiful wide open beach. Amazing crabbing & claiming right there. Extremely friendly and helpful people. We had a wonderful stay and will be back again!
I think Rockaway Beach is a great place to vacation and live and I confidently predict it will become one of "the" places to be on the Oregon coast within the next few years. I spoke with the City Manager, Scot, over the phone. He was objective, professional, pleasant and responsive to my queries. It took some time to get a hold of him, but I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation.

Old-fashioned steam locomotive offering riders a trip along the Oregon coast & scenic views.
We had a wonderful evening dinner train ride. The food was good and the service was great! I love that this is a family business. The train ride was there a relaxing. Some very lovely views. We also spotted Jetty fishery Marina. Later we went there and had grab, clams and oysters!

Found a nice day to go on the weekend in late April. There were lots of open seats on the train. It was a pretty relaxing ride, you can get up and move around while is moving. Some good views later in the trip.
Michael Shinner — Google review
Took my dog on the train ride. Really enjoyed the trip and the scenery. Very polite employees as well. My dog loved the bones she got from the conductors. You can stay at your destination for 30 minutes or several hours and then ride back.
Yes, you can drive the same route and see the same scenery. But, it is the enjoyment of a relaxing train ride that sets this experience apart. Being able to take that trip with my dog was the best!

We took the kids on an adventure on the candy cane express this year! It was quite the experience! The kids absolutely loved it! You can tell they put a lot of time and effort into making the experience feel authentic for the kids which I truly appreciate. My only complaint is that I wish that the train ride was a little bit longer. Technically it was a good length for the kids, but for what we paid, I think the parents would love to see it go a little bit farther down the line. But I would highly recommend doing this with your kids if you're considering it, it was so much fun and something that they will never forget!
Aria Brooks — Google review
The train ride was fun. It wasn't amazing, but enjoyable. They make it look a lot more fun on the commercial. If you sit on a certain side of the train, you only see the highway and bushes. The other side is where you see all the pretty scenery. We were able to switch seats so we could look at the scenery better. The ride back was full, so we had to sit in our assigned seats, which was fine, because we had already seen everything. The train runs on the same track, so if you go round trip, you see everything twice.
Angela Winters — Google review
Great fun! Wonderful experience for all ages and family's. Definitely worth the money and time to ride. Use the bathroom before you go as there isn't one on the train. Beautiful old rail cars and the ride isn't as bumpy as we expected.
Couple downsides, they don't enforce teens/kids following safety rules. We had to switch train cars (we purchased historic wilson car seats) to sit comfortably as many people that got open car tickets took indoor seats anyway. While seated in the open car teens would come out from the closed car and hang over the rails in front of our seat (at the end of the car) making it difficult to get pictures or even enjoy the view at times. They did get spoken to towards the end of the ride but it doesn't seem to be effective. Their parents came out and then engorged the behavior after the staff spoke with the kids.
Suggestion: emphasize not moving up and down the rail cars wherever they please and enforce that people not hang off the cars.

Such fun riding by the ocean through the tree's and the train features a 106 year old oil burning steam engine and another car built in 1911 and more restored cars. An Excellent affordable experience.

Lived in Oregon our entire lives and never knew this existed. Shout out to Jacobsen Salt for posting a reel highlighting the Oregon Coast Scenic Railway. We took our girls, and I had just as much fun as they did. Beautiful views. Tour guide was fun and informative. The entire crew was so friendly and welcoming. Can’t recommend this enough. We will be back for the Fall Splendor Excursion!

We did the Easter there and back 60 min ride. Great staff. Two of the kids were bored, but we were able to get one interested. Ride was really slow, almost walking pace near the end.
Could do well with some narration or description of what we saw outside.
Pretty pricey. Not sure we could recommend for others.

It was fun and relaxing.. weather was perfect.
Love watching the little kids and there faces. They were so excited and when the whistle they were so amazed by the whole experience. At both stops there is a restaurant.
The crew was very friendly and would explain what we were passing by…
I would go on this again and have told alot of friends about this train ride…

We stopped at Rockaway Beach just to walk around and saw the train was about to take off. We bought a ticket for $25 each last minute and decided to take the ride. Round trip was about an hour and a half. They have seating inside and some seating outside. Lots of great views on the train ride.

This company offers train rides up and down the coast a little ways. It is so much fun and really cool to learn about the history behind it— all the train cars are original from the early to mid 1900s. The staff was super kind and easy to work with. I will be coming to ride again!

Moonlight Train Ride with wine and cupcakes: overall a nice ride. The power went out; coolant was needed; the wine was not good (red was super salty and the white watery) but they ran out; not much moonlight; and not much ocean scenery. The cupcakes were actually really good though! The staff were very friendly and this experience could be wayyy better with a bit more planning and attention. Photos of some of the views.

Just did this, Saturday so worth every penny beautiful views, steam engine, especially great for the drivers. My husband never gets to see great views because he is always the driver. So this gave us all a chance to really enjoy the beach!

It was fun the train was a calming slow ride. I will have to take the kiddos next time, they would enjoy it. The cocoa was good, the cookies were a fun touch. I took my husband gor his first train ride.

This is a fun, slow( train goes 5-10 miles an hour) , unique excursion on the coast. Train staff are hugely friendly, informative and helpful. Arrive early to get a sea side seat on the train. Bring a hot beverage and snack and take in all the coastal views and wildlife. Wave at the friendly fisherman and take pictures of the eagles , pelicans sea lions and otters. Poke around the sleepy town of Wheeler especially the antique mall and return to Rockaway beach for a stroll on the sand weather permitting. Worth paying for an inside car seat as you are allowed to go to the uncovered and outside car for photo ops. Fun throwback to a time long since past. Highly recommend!

My husband and I took our 9 year old daughter on a round trip. We had such a great time. I would recommend arriving early to get seats on the water side for the best view. Also recommend layers. Even the enclosed cars are drafty and chilly! We sat in the Historic Wilson River car traveling to Rockaway Beach and got to hear all the history and fun stories. I booked the Neahkahnie car for the return trip, just with the intention of experiencing two different cars, and I'm so glad I did. The table made it much easier to enjoy the snacks we picked up in Rockaway Beach! We really had so much fun, we'll definitely do this again next time we visit, and maybe leave longer than a half hour inbetween rides for some beach time!

I took the train in the evening. The train is beautifully decorated with lights that can be appreciated better at night.
The only thing that would make this even better is if at least they played a Christmas story or songs while on the train. Ohhhh no restroom on the train
I took the train the day we were lighting up Rockaway's Christmas tree. Very very fun experience

Highly recommend riding the train especially if you are a family with kids. Friendly and welcoming staff share interesting history of the train and local area during the 90 min ride while enjoying the scenic views. If you are like us and plan to ride more than once I suggest purchasing the family membership. Our kids and big kids love riding this steam train!
Basic cabins, some with wood stoves, in a rustic ranch with a park, streams & horseback riding.
What a wonderful trip! Our wrangler Jewel was fun, friendly and very animated. She was so sweet and even took pictures of our group for us! I can't wait to go back and am highly recommending this ranch to all my friends! Beautiful scenery and ride and loving and gentle horses!

We went to Flying M for the 1 hour horseback riding tour and it was great. Everyone was very nice and they're located in a gorgeous area near a wedding venue and a few other buildings. The ride crossed a few streams and fields and the horse we're very kind and mellow. We plan to go back again to do some of their other rides like the steak dinner one and the starlight ride. Definitely a great experience for new and experienced riders lookinf for a relaxed trail ride.

I Love this Ranch!! The owners are always so nice and the wranglers that go out on the trail ride with us are Awesome as well!! It is so Beautiful there, and the trails are gorgeous, with the Sun shining thru the trees, going thru the water, it is so tranquil and serene. My best friend takes me here every year for My Birthday present to go horse back riding on the trails. It's something I look forward to Every year!! We have been doing it for about 15-20 years!! I am a horse lover, so this is such heaven for me to be around the Beautiful Horses. Their rates for the 1 hr. Trail ride are very reasonable, and they have other packages as well, and even camping. I would highly recommend this ranch!! If you've never gone, you should visit and go on a trail ride. You won't be disappointed!!! 💖💗

Really friendly owners help beginners and riders of all experience along a beautiful one hour trail ride across a small river and through a beautiful forest. I would go back just because of how nice they were to our kids and myself.
Dusty Playz — Google review
They were nice at first but after we were only there a day and a half because my family and I were site seeing and had to go through empty camp spots to get around. They made us leave because we were in other camp spots . so if you like only being confined to just your assigned site then it would be great other wise do NOT go there. It's nothing like when I was younger. Rude owners.

I came out to this place for years back when the first Lodge was there I know the people that live in this Canyon I know the Mitchell family, they're salt of the earth people.
this is a special place unlike any other and I'm happy to call it my home.
come see what Oregon has to offer in this majestic canyon and the trask Mountain.
The horseback riding is incredible you get to see things that you only see on television. The camping is clean Clear Mountain Air and there's a lot of places to camp.
And the wildlife that you discover is beautiful you might say I'm biased but I speak the truth come ...you will be amazed...
This place is beautiful. Lots of beach exploring to do. Even a small section that is just rock which makes for good exploration. Would be a great place to stay for the weekend.
Jason Heglund — Google review
I'm reviewing the trail only. The trailhead parking is at the entrance of road down to the lighthouse. We hiked in April and it was quite muddy, and moderately steep, but the nice little beach cove at the end was worth it. We are average shaped middle-aged. We did the hike down in 20 minutes and the hike back in a little over 30 minutes. There is no restroom at trailhead, but there is one down by the lighthouse parking.

Love walking the trails here. It is simply beatiful. The drive is beautiful and it is easy to ditance here, wear your mask and enjoy the trails and hikes around this lighthouse.

We love coming to Cape Meares to observe the sea birds and the breathtaking views. Be sure to bring your binoculars. A spotting scope us even better. (Volunteers will let you look through theirs on the weekends.) Also, don't miss the lighthouse and the Octopus Tree.
Helen Honse — Google review
The Big tree is the main attraction. 800 year old state champion spruce. Beautiful tree.
Justin Bayola — Google review
Beautiful place. The trails are a little rough and very muddy, so I wouldn’t recommend it for children. Also, if you want to see birds you really need to bring binoculars since they are pretty far off shore.
Colin (Colin Urmson) — Google review
A beautiful location for a hike along coastal areas. On a sunny day, the ocean views are stunning. Walk along the beach and smell the salty brew of cracked, picked apart crabs and other shore life while enjoying long walks in the low tide. Visit the Octopus Tree aptly named for its numerous trunks. There are trails that wind through the hilly growth. Set your camera on stun for stunning photo ops. Bring along a few snacks or picnic basket.

Gorgeous rocky beach at base of the refuge trail. But be warned, it's slippery and as I write this, some serious obstacles are blocking the trail at points. Trekking pole(s) and good treads recommended!
Aircraft collection in a World War II blimp hangar, one of the world's largest wooden buildings.
I'd been to the museum many years ago. I'd heard it had gone downhill. But found it not to be. Enjoyed the dioramas. Found the battle ship my dad was on USS Pennsylvania. My 8 yr old grandson loved the hands on exhibits
Cynthia Crowley — Google review
The museum itself has a lot of nice features - you can walk through the fuselage of an old TWA plane, there's a really nice Holocaust memorial, and there are flight simulator machines on display along with old fire engines and the like. The large hangar gives you a feel for how large the blimps that were previously stored in there are. But the museum also needs a little help and upgrades - the roof leaked somewhat and the lighting was a little dim. I would definitely recommend a visit however.
Wendy Meyer — Google review
We had a good time visiting this museum. The person we bought our admission from was great. She was very helpful and informative. The museum does have some unique aircraft, but is fairly small compared to other air museums. They have an expansive WW2 exhibit with handmade models donated to the museum by a local person. They also had a Mini-Guppy out front open to tour. The bottom line is we had fun, and would absolutely visit again.
Matt Storm — Google review
Great experience at the Tillamook Air Museum. A large hangar with a multitude of planes and aircraft. We have been to a few air museums but none have been as enjoyable as this one. What made it fun was so many aircraft that our child can climb into and sit in. Very interactive experience. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Afterwards our kid was able to take a bi-plane ride over Tillamook. What a wonderful ending to a perfect day. Highly recommend.

Wasn't planning on stopping in but was glad my son and I had time. The building, an old naval blimp hanger, is huge. Had to explain, but just awe inspiringly huge. would have like to have seen more displays and have had more time. They had some neat displays. Good shop. Will need to spend more time next time
Jason Reis — Google review
Such a great little peek into the history of aviation and WWII. They had one of the best WWII Navel histories I have ever seen. Place has something for everyone. There is a nice collection of antique fire engines, tractors and planes. The price was surprisingly inexpensive as well. Definitely worth the time and money.
Steven Albin — Google review
I thought this was really a neat museum. They had so much to see and so much thought has gone into the exhibits!
Right now, Top Gun Maverick is huge at the box office and it was so awesome to see an actual F-14 that was used in the first movie!
Definitely well worth your time to visit!! The building itself is gigantic and it's amazing to think of it housing the blimps in its prime!
Kristi Larson — Google review
Was a random road side attraction stop for me today. This WWII blimp hanger is huge. I swear it has its on weather/atmosphere inside it.
Was awesome to see such iconic aircraft, but moreover the training/simulator/aids that they have on display that you can actually touch and interact with
The models and displays that chronicles WWII was a neat surprise. A lot of hard work and talent went into make it them.
Worth the stop.

Not a lot of planes but it was set up nicely. It wasn’t expensive about $10. What was nice was you were able to go into the planes. They had the history of each plane. I would say stop and check it out.

Nestled along the stunning coastline of Oregon, the Tillamook Air Museum is a hidden gem that aviation enthusiasts and history buffs alike must not miss. While the museum boasts an impressive collection of vintage aircraft and artifacts, it's the breathtaking scale model exhibit that truly takes visitors on an unforgettable journey through aviation history.
The scale model exhibit at Tillamook Air Museum is nothing short of awe-inspiring. As you step into the exhibit hall, you're immediately greeted by an expansive panorama of meticulously crafted miniature aircraft and detailed dioramas that recreate iconic moments in aviation history. The attention to detail is astonishing; every aircraft, every building, and every landscape element is rendered with an astounding level of accuracy and precision.

My boyfriend and I had a blast here! At first we were apprehensive but quickly got into it and had a good time. The building is so cool to see in person on the inside. Pictures couldn’t do it justice. Definitely worth a trip or a stop on the way, for all ages!

Some wonderful aircraft and displays. The World War II recreation model displays are amazing. It is a pleasure to help preserve these pieces of history. Even the hanger is one of the architectural wonders of the world.
Brian Randleas — Google review
This used to be a hangar that was functional during WWII. It used to house blimps that would patrol the PNW coastal area, monitoring the entire belt. It is now a museum which are of great interest to plane, train and car enthusiasts. Also has the old architecture of the hangar with fuel supply lines which is cool to see. The area nearby is quiet and scenic too!
Gagan N Kangovi — Google review
A wonderful museum, the atmosphere/ feel is great and they have plenty of interactive options for children as well as good info for those hoping to learn some about our past in aviation.
I would have loved to see this one in its heyday. It was awesome walking in the doors to a gentleman who either was or was doing a great job of acting as a military vet in perfect attire for the place. I would also love to see this museum get enough exhibits to use the whole hanger (not that there wasn't enough for me and the kids), it would just be that much more impressive. I would also like to see them supported enough to get some repairs and close up some of the leaks on the hanger so they can focus on the nicer/well kept exhibits without extra effort.
David — Google review
This is a good museum. You can see a lot of fighter planes F14 tomcat, transporters, prop planes, 1970s TWA cut out, simulators, lots of aircraft engines. There is a big blimp. There are also trucks, fire engines, tractors. Good place for kids. The inside is cavernous, I was amazed to see such a huge hanger. It was used for the blimps. There is a mini guppy at the front, you can go inside, unfortunately it is slowly rusting away being exposed to the Oregon winter rain, they could take it inside, there is enough space. It is a majestic building to see to really appreciate the enormity of the building. If you go towards 3 pm then ticket price is $5. 1 h may be less but can see most of the exhibits. Guppy is outside and they waited after 4pm for us to finish the tour. We liked the place.
P Nayak — Google review
I love this place. My grandfather served here and my mom was born on this base. So many great exhibits. I just wish there was more history about the base and the people who served. It seems like there is little info to gleen about it. Even from the navy.
Still worth the stop to see the building and all the planes they have collected.
Shawn hensley — Google review
Price point seems fair if you are into the planes or history of world war II. There's some good exhibits that you can really take in information. Lots to learn if you take the time to stick with everything and not just rush through it. The small plane portion of it is pretty cool.
Avery Schlatter — Google review
First visit here was 7 years ago. We were on a vacation from Virginia, visiting family in the area. The size and scope of the hanger can only be appreciated by walking inside. The history of it all will be felt as soon as you do. Now that we live here it's still one of our most favorite places. A "must" kind of experience for all ages!
Dymone — Google review
Displays developed over years by dedicated volunteers in a rare blimp hangar. This immense wooden structure is awe inspiring and can easily be seen from the highway. There are cockpits to clamber into, a helium room, (no you can't inhale helium in the helium room! but it is pretty cool to learn how the gas was reclaimed to float WWII blimps). There are some sobering displays about the perils of flight for one local pilot and the Holocaust. Flight enthusiasts have assembled a collection of small planes and experimental aircraft that visitors can view up close. Don't miss the room with uniforms and personal memorabilia from women and men who served America during WWII.
If you've never been inside a guppy you can do that, too. It's a freebie to the north end of the hangar. Tickets are required to enter the hangar space but the gift shop and cute weekend diner are open to the public. The ticket prices are modest and they do support the great work this volunteer organization puts together for all of us to enjoy.
Did I mention? There's also a train locomotive inside.
Jeanelle H — Google review
Truly an unforgettable experience. A piece of history that should be remembered for eternity.
There was a beautifully touching holocaust tribute, many stories of soldiers lost, and the story of a fire in the belly of a grieving nation, on its way to WW2.
Billie Robertson — Google review
Cool place (literally too). Bring a hoodie or jacket if you're going when it's not warm.
I enjoy airplane Museums, & this was my first time visiting this one. The hangar alone is fascinating. I think it was built in 1943, but I could be wrong. It's a massive wooden structure, & when I walked up, I could hear tin flapping on the roof. Once you're inside, there are puddles here & there from the leaking roof, but it just gives a lot of character. It smells like metal, fuel, & old wood inside.
There's a mini-guppy parked outside of the hangar, in which you can go inside (after you get your tickets).
The bathrooms were clean. There's a small nostalgic diner, but it was closed when we went.
There were lots of cockpits you could check out. I admittedly got in a few.
There are a couple of rooms with historical hand-painted miniatures & models.
There's a tented area full of small planes, vehicles & interesting things like a gyrocopter.
There are no aliens here. Just a silly photo-shopped imaged.

Haunting and awesome. The building alone is worth the visit. This museum is worth the visit and boasts a decent collection of airplanes and other exhibits.
Yes, go chasing waterfalls. This 319 foot one after rainy days is spectacular. Doing it amongst the changing season and carpet of fall leaves was even more magical.

We are in the area visiting, from Easter Oregon. Just a day around Lincoln City. Drove by and saw the signs so we went up to the trail. Such an easy hike and absolutely beautiful! So worth it!

Wow ! Beautiful Munson Falls,
in Winter . Drive in had lots of potholes,
take it easy..
Spacious parking lot . 🅿️
Keep your valuables with you !!!
Walk in approx 1/2 mi , a little rough , esp. when it’s raining.
But then, there are the beautiful Falls , so worth walking in to view.
Last saw these falls in summer and they were nothing like today.
A trickle in summer and raging in winter

Would take off a star because signage could be improved (we drove past trail head turn), but don't want to discredit an amazing place. Plenty of parking room, easy trail, railings and stairs where necessary. Fantastic stop.

Coming from CA, this is a pretty and short hike with small creeks here and there, nice photo spots, and the main event, the waterfall at the end. We did this hike on the spur of the moment and finished within 2 hours with ample time to relax and do some photos.

Super easy drive and really easy hike. It was a fast stop on the way to other plans.

Ok this review is from someone who lives in the area not someone who has travelled far to visit. Love the short hike next to the creek for going with kids. The waterfall in winter is pretty good!! It’s can be hit or miss in the summer.

Ok. The falls are nice and the delicious woods make me want to stay forever, but my beef is that this is a state park. Much of the road is dirt and gravel. Ok cool, this is the woods, but after your car is subjected to underbelly scrapes and plumes of dust, you start thinking..."is this the right way?" And after a couple more miles of this, you think "this is NOT the right way". Google Maps actually took me up a worse road and I thought I would get stuck. Signage practically doesn't exist, low riders risk getting stuck and quite frankly, this teeny tiny sad trail isn't worth it. The walk, not a hike, is about 1/8 mile, and you can't get close to the falls unless you disobey park barriers. Don't do this please, it's so wrong for the ecosystem they are trying to preserve. However, more could be done if this is to be considered a "park". I wouldn't call it that.
It's pretty, but dude, not worth it in the grand scheme of things.

An excellent stop to witness nature's blessing and a very tall waterfall. The whole area is majestic in nature and it seems like a place out of the movie avatar. The trees are the best and most beautiful I've ever seen. If you are in the area or driving through, make sure and make a stop to witness this place. It is such an amazing place including the waterfall.

Very short hike with VERY big views. I'd highly recommend to anyone make this quick walk.

Even though we could not walk all the way to the waterfall, it was worth the short walk. The trail is narrow but easy to follow and not difficult out to steep.
You can easily see the waterfall from the trail before you get close. I highly recommend making noise along the way as we found several large dens just off the path. You wouldn’t want to spook any of the wildlife!

Beautiful easy hike for all ages and activity level. The upper trail to the falls is closed, but you get a great view of the 300 foot drop from the platform
Cape Lookout State Park is an oceanfront park located around 8 miles south of Netarts. The park offers a beach, campground, and hiking trails that lead to a peaceful viewpoint on a spit. The two-mile trail in the park is moderately easy but often muddy. Due to road maintenance work, the North Trail to Cape Lookout is currently closed with no information about when it will reopen; however, visitors can use the South Trail to reach Cape Lookout Point.
This is a picture from the top of cape Lookout. We could see a whale very close to the shore. It was going around in the same area and also spouting occasionally. The sight was unbelievably good 😍 the place looks so beautiful from the top. Could spot a lot of people surfing here as well!!

All round a beautiful campsite with nice neighbouring trails and a long expansive beach to explore. Friendly wardens as such and very clean & put together. Warm showers as well (by warm I mean rather toasty!). Surrounding area is okay. Tillamook is a little empty, but the cheese factory (or ice-cream) is an experience of it's own.

Nice preview for visits later in the spring and summer. Got to see where the cabins are and talk a nice walk on the sand. Many folks were enjoying the gorgeous weather and picnicking.
Note: the North Trail to the Cape Lookout is currently closed. I didn't see any info about when it might be reopened. To reach the Cape Lookout Point, use the South Trail.
There were some crews doing road maintenance, likely in preparation for a busy summer.
We caught a glimpse of the yurts from the road. I have some friends that stay here year after year. Looks amazing.

1-star if you camp in January:
Easy layout, SUPER close to the beach...which is a double-edged sword. We camped in January and there was a storm that destroyed our stuff; 2.5" of rain, 70mph winds, flooded the campground trails, flooded our camp site, flooded the road in/out and the raccoons are especially devious here; They figured out how to open our difficult-to-open cooler and dragged food items into the bushes, opened a latched box with shoes and carried the box away and they ran off with our unopened half & half (I saw the half & half trail leading into the bushes. I will never camp here in the winter, ever again, but if YOU do, choose the loop that is back in the trees, nearest the yurts, away from the first 1/2 of the park. It's a beautiful setting, and it's remote'ish, so you won't have a lot of "curious" people driving through to worry about. Staff wasn't particularly friendly, but that's similar across the board at all Oregon State Park campgrounds I've noticed. Bathrooms were clean, but the weather chased us away before we could get a good look at the showers.

Cape Lookout is among the best state parks on the northern Oregon coast. Please check a tide table before you go and visit at low tide if you can. At low tide there is a wide flat beach ideal for a stroll, flying a kite, or playing with a dog. At high tide the ocean will cover most of the beach. Besides the beach a real treasure here are the trails that traverse old growth coastal forest out to the tip of the cape, or north or south to the beach. Pure magic when it is foggy. If it is clear views north and south from the tip of the cape are nice. Tends to be busy when it is nice, visit on a week day.

Lots of stuff at this park. The Cape Trail is a great hike, although very mucky, so bring appropriate footwear. The campground is extensive, and the bathrooms and showers are nice. It's often difficult to get a site with full hookups, so check availability, even in the offseason.

I’ve been here twice and it’s a nice place to camp. There’s a good stretch of beach and the sites are close enough to hear the waves at night. There are a LOT of sites here and the bathrooms and the landscaping is a little run down. The sites are small and close together but mostly separated by brush and trees. They do have showers and flush toilets which is nice. Lots of families and kids and dogs. The yurts look good too.
Shareen Wornson — Google review
Check-in went smoothly and campsite was clean on arrival.
This is a somewhat primitive Campground, set barely among pine trees. Flush toilets a short walk from our campsite, water available adjacent to our campsite.
Fireplace clean and of good size. Campfire wood available for sale at Campground. Ocean beach a hundred yards from our campsite.
The Pacific Ocean beatiful, the beach clean and uncrowded. The sounds of the ocean surf will be sending you to sleep.

Some how I came across this gem on the west coast and it was nearly empty! Beautiful beach, massive and very well equipped campground, the trail out to cape lookout just a couple miles up the road was stunning, though tbh the 2nd half was extremely muddy. The first half is worth the mile hike definitely, but if you can deal with the mud, the second half is absolutely worth it, unbeatable vistas and the trail was a lot of fun.
Austin Hildebrant (r3gl17ch3d) — Google review
I love, love, loved this hike!!! It was super easy with not too much incline at all, and the ENTIRE hike was just absolutely stunning. We were warned about the mud, and although it was really bad in parts, the whole trail wasn’t muddy and wasn’t too much to handle especially with hiking shoes. Our dog did great, and we also so many children on the trail, so I would definitely say family and dog friendly. The trail is extremely well maintained. The lookout was beautiful, but so were the views along the way, I especially loved the bits with dense forest. This became one of my all time favorite hikes and I cannot recommend enough. There were a couple steep scary bits, but as someone who is extremely afraid of heights I can promise they were not long lasting lengths of the trail and it is very doable for someone with minimal fear of heights!
One of the nicest wineries I have been to. Kalina was very knowledgeable about the wine, the winery and the owners. She was very personable and even took pictures of us in the vineyard. The wine was excellent and the views are amazing. How nice to drink wine where the grapes grow. Well worth the trip.

Beautiful views, wow! A bit more of a drive and Google will often take you down the wrong road. Wine and tastings were great. Wine overall is a little more on the pricey side, but certainly would recommend the tasting and the chance to soak in the views!

One of the best locations/views we've encountered at a winery. Great spot to just sit or wander, plus friendly 4-legged companion to keep you company. We enjoyed most of the wines, and also appreciated getting to chat with the owners, who also shared some samples of local nuts they were going to be serving later on at a wine-club dinner.

I visited with a group of friends around the time they opened on March 13th. Out of all the wineries we went to that weekend I had the most fun here. We got to meet Jody and she was a joy to chat with! I loved every wine I tried and I was lucky enough to get one of the spots in the wine club! The view here is stunning. It was a little windy and chilly but I imagine how wonderful it would be later in spring to sit on the patio and drink wine. If I'm ever in the area again I will be returning.

This place is a must go, the views alone are worth the drive up the hill. Their wines are delicious and the 828 was like the French wines off the Rhone river, and I love my French wines. J Wrigley Vineyards has a large selection of wine grown from their own local estate vineyard. Lots of choices, so there's something for everyone.
The views are breathtaking and my pictures don't do the place justice. They also are part of the Harvest Host program so bring your RV, they have power and water, but call ahead spaces are limited. This is what we did last night. We made pesto pasta dinner in the RV and enjoyed our dinner on the patio with their J Wrigley wines. Perfect ending to our trip to Oregon.
They also offer a VRBO so stop in an stay for the day or stay for a night. The Vineyard is owned by John and his beautiful wife Jody. Their staff is so great, we were running on "Baby Time" we called to let them know we would be running late. They were so sweet and told us not to worry and they would see us soon. Jody and her daughter Jordan welcomed us with their Border Collie in tow. Jody opened the tasting room for us and made us feel at home. It was so comfortable and just steps to the outside patio.
What you see is what you get, and that says alot, just good people who care. John came up in the morning to see us off. Thank you Jody & John, see you in October and blessings for another great JW harvest. Cheers

My wife and I stopped here on our honeymoon while driving from Portland to the coast. We absolutely loved it. It was truly one of the highlights of our week in Oregon. First, the view is absolutely stunning. It was so relaxing sipping and decompressing after our wedding week. Second, the wines were fantastic. I don't like white wines, but I really loved their Chardonnay. We especially liked their Pinots. The young woman working in the tasting room was delightful. When we arrived and mentioned it was our honeymoon they popped a bottle of their sparkling "Jubilee" to celebrate. Then, while paying for our tastings at the end she told us to go take any bottle we wanted, "on the house". We were completely surprised by this generous offer, but she insisted! We had an unbelievable bottle of Pinot Noir that wasn't available for the tasting flight. We opened it later that evening while watching the sunset on the beach.
I can't recommend J Wrigley Vineyards enough! We will go out of our way to come back the next time we are in the Portland Area. Thank you all for such a lovely visit!

Beautiful area with fantastic views a pleasant hiking. You can walk the beach for miles, climb the dune, explore, then grab a bite to eat at Pacific City
Gennaya Mattison — Google review
Talk about a hike.. To see these vistas, you have to walk straight up a 200+ ft sand dune.. but it is WELL WORTH IT. Located just steps from the main drag of pacific city, this sandy, duney cliff offers some of the best view of (the better) Haystack Rock.
You don't really want to do it barefoot because once you get up there, you will find lots of little spots to explore. There are great views not just of the beach and the rock, but also crashing waves, little ocean spots, and tons interesting rock formations like caves and trenches.
If you can make the trip up the hill, it is a great place to spend a few hours taking in the natural views. It is also well gated and I felt completely safe the entire time I was up there.
If you are visiting Pacific City, add this to your list!

This is my wife's favorite beach park. The sand mountain defies gravity and the logic mind, having steep sides and reaching higher than sends possible. The hike to the top is strenuous, but the views once there is well worth it. Pay attention to the signs warning of steep cliffs and dangerous drop offs as they are not kidding. The water is deep so the waves crash against the cliffs with great force, carving out caves and arches that are beautiful to look at but dangerous to explore. To the north of the sand mountain is a favorite place for hang gliding on the Oregon coast. On a good day you can see several hang gliders dancing on the breeze, seeming to be suspended from invisible strings as they effortlessly hover and move in their hypnotic patterns. I highly recommend visiting this state park.

Awesome State Natural Area and Park in Pacific City, Oregon giving great views of the preserved area and the ocean. Unfortunately it was rainy and misty and a storm was coming which made me quickly return to my hotel room. The short hike up the sand dune to the lookout was pretty cool.

Nice place to visit. Surfing was a little rough out in the larger waves, but the smaller surf was really fun to surf in. There's a subtle rip-tide close to the rocky cape (to the north), so be mindful of that (pulls that water further out). Awesome place to visit and not surf, there's an enormous sand dune to climb and explore the upper cape area. Simple tide pools nearby the cape, and a great view of Haystack Rock. Lunch at the Pelican is nice, but between $10 for parking and going to the one restaurant around, expect to pay some. Alternatively there's a burrito restaurant which also sells ales next to the surf shop, and I'd venture to guess that with a little walking, street parking is attainable. Hiking the sand dunes is a must, consider doing it barefoot, and running down the sand dune afterward is required!

This is a fabulous beach and natural area off the beaten path of 101. You'll typically see lots of surfers here. Tide pools here are lovely and I suggest going at negative tide to see it's full glory. Please respect the sea creatures and plant life! The sandstone is beautiful against the deep green blues of the ocean. Huge dunes but beware the recent sinkholes. Also, respect the fenced areas. There have been many deaths of teens and young adults in particular ignoring the warnings. Pacific City is a great place to get some food and a little shopping. Go north to McPhillips Beach to drive on the beach and explore the north side of the cape.

Must see for anyone in the area. You can make the climb to the top of the sand dunes, or stop along the way for equally stunning views. The trails are clearly marked, so Don’t ruin it for everyone else by climbing the fences. There is a large parking lot nearby, with some small shops and a restaurant. Photos taken mid October.

Beautiful Oregon coastline area in Pacific City. Nice place to hang out and just take it all in. Lots of white water on the ocean. Lots of sand! One can walk in both directions for quite a ways.
Beachside taproom & restaurant serving house beers with pizza, pasta & seafood, plus brunch.
My wife and I are visiting the Coastline of Oregon and decided to stop by this restaurant for dinner. The weather was rainy and the small town seemed quite empty, not a lot of movement. As we entered, there were a few people dining for such a nice size restaurant. We ordered Mac n Cheese with layered brisket and half of BBQ chicken with mash potatoes. As an appetizer, we had asked for the calamari and to our astonishment, the food was quite tasty! The staff, servers, etc were very polite and respectful and I would like every customer service to be. Though it was super dark outside, you can hear the waves crashing in the shore which is a very cool sound to hear. I highly recommend others to visit this place if ever in the area.

Outstanding place to stop by for a bite to eat while sipping on an ice cold beer. And you can’t top the view from the back deck either. Truly gorgeous.
Enjoyed lunch with three of my girlfriends on a Wed, and we still had about an hour wait for a table even though it was a weekday, but it wasn’t too terrible considering they take down your phone number and give you a call when your table is ready. So you aren’t forced to wait at the restaurant itself the entire time. So we were able to roam about freely.
I had the Spicy Burger which made my mouth water, it was so tasty, and the Beak Breaker Double IPA which I also really enjoyed, given that it was super hoppy, which I personally love.
Overall, 5 out of 5. Will definitely return on my next visit to Pacific City.

One of the best breweries in Oregon and good quality food. The food is little pricey compared to regular food prices but the quality is great. I personally like the custom dishes and beer glass. There is a outdoor seating also but i choose the indoor. Their menu also says what beer to pair the food with. I came to the restaurant to have dinner and watch the sunset but the marine layer came and was chilly.

The food was pretty good, but definitely over priced. The French fries were probably the best part of this meal. We ordered our meals then we sat in the car until we thought they might be ready. Once they were ready they said because the meals were to go that we couldn't even sit in the parking lot. We got them to go because we didn't want to sit in a crowded restaurant. The waitress was really nice!

I went just before closing, so I didn’t get the full experience. Plenty of parking and seating, indoor and out. I tried the Hazestack and it was good. Nice flavor, not too heavy. Got a burger to go, and it was fine, but pricey for a burger and fries. The fries were better than expected since they were towards the skinny side. I’d go back to try more things and enjoy the outside.

We walked in and were seated few minutes, and we got placed inside the restaurant. An outdoor option was excellent, but it was a bit windy and chilly. The food was terrific, and they had a great beer selection. Service was fast; after they served us our appetizer, we finished it in just a few minutes! The seafood option is plenty, and people that don't like seafood have options too. We enjoyed everything here; we had so much fun!

Being from Montana, we braved the outdoor seating on this rainy, windy, a bit chilly day. The sun came out here and there, but the views were so awesome we just couldn't bare to sit inside. Besides, the food was really good, and our server was beyond good, so sitting outside was so worth it. I like dark beers, so he had a few suggestions and samples for me to try. Both were very tasty. We ordered fish and chips, clam chowder, seafood Mac n cheese, the Hawaiian burger ( came with a giant slice of pineapple), and the gf ginger veggies, rice noodle bowl. I thought 25.00 was a bit of a crazy price for rice noodles and a few vegetables. I felt like that price would be reserved for some seafood in it. My daughter liked it alright though and it was the only thing she could decide on that didn't have gluten or dairy. She is very allergic to both.

What an amazing experience! Highly recommend!! Even though I am nervous around horses the guides were very experienced and knew their animals well. They were great with people and horses. The horses are well cared for and like their treats at the end of the ride. If horseback riding on the beach is on your bucket list this is the place to do it!

The riding experience on the beach was incredibly fun and memorable! We had a great time taking in the scenery. I would definitely come back to do it again. My only concern is that children run the facility so I'm not sure they're able to make the best decisions when it comes to the overall health of the horse and the safety of riders. That day I was paired with Jet and I realized that something was wrong when I heard the two girls working there whispering and looking at each other. I asked one of them if Jet was okay to ride and she said yes that she was just sore. Once I got on Jet, I tried to calm her down by petting her and I could tell that she didn't want to go on the ride. She would fall behind and then trot to catch up probably making her injury worse. Again, throughout the ride I would pet her to make her feel reassured. By the end of the ride she was irritated and trying to fight other horses while I was on her and she walked towards her corral letting me know she was done for the day. I kept calm the entire time as I have had lessons prior but if an inexperienced rider would have been paired with her, it could've been a lot worse. I would give this place 5 stars but after looking back, I realized that the overall health of the horse should be a priority. I don't know much about horses or riding but putting someone on an injured horse is dangerous. Although this did happen, we still had a great time and would recommend it to family and friends.

Green Acres is the BEST place to ride a horse on the entire Oregon Coast!!! They are so friendly, give clear instructions, and make sure that everyone has a good time! Their horses are the sweetest & they have a horse for every experience level. I rode with them in 2018 and today.

We chose this place because of it's high rating and multiple positive reviews. My friend and I got a confirmation the day of our booking. We arrived early just as we were asked. There were others there waiting with us. No one from their company came to greet us and their phone line went straight to voicemail. We were there for over an hour. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of the provided service, communication, and professionalism. Thankfully we were given a refund, but there was no explanation given as to why no one showed up the day of our appointment & not providing the service we originally paid for. I was so excited to do this as it was my first time ever riding horses on the beach, (especially with the weather being absolutely sunny and perfect for riding), but was let down by this business. I recommend going somewhere else.

Do not book with this company. We booked a ride on their website, I paid a deposit, it was confirmed and we even got a confirmation email the day of the ride. We got there at the time specified and were there with others who had booked at the same time. No one showed up. No one came for our ride. We knocked on doors, tried to call them and no one answered it went straight to voicemail. We waited for an entire hour and no one came. This is very unprofessional and sad to many of us who were looking forward to riding on the beach. I hope they will refund my deposit, but I don’t know if I will even get that back with their lack of communication.

Beautiful beach with picturesque giant rock in the ocean! The sunset was magical. Quaint beach town. We took a walk and happened upon the local free petting zoo that had camels, deer, and horses, etc. $100/hr for a guided horseback ride on the beach. Very peaceful and beautiful town!

We arrived 15 mins early for our 10 am booking on a perfectly sunny Saturday morning. Soon after some others arrived for their 10 AM booking. There were 6 of us waiting for the company to show up with the horses... no one came... no one answered phone calls... just crickets. So me and my wife decided to leave after waiting 50 minutes! The rest of the grouped stayed even longer... waiting for nothing I found out later! Emailed for a refund.. so far no response....

Extremely friendly owner and employees! Went with a group of 6 and had an absolutely amazing time. No experience needed to experienced riders - they put you with the perfect horse to your needs. The views of the ocean and forest are just breath taking! Would most definitely do again. An experience of a lifetime. They also use your phone to take pictures for you on the ride! Make sure to bring extra cash to tip your guides because they definitely deserve it!
Swimming, fishing, horseback riding & more in a coastal park with a beach on over 480 acres.
Another beautiful beach in pacific city.
It was beautiful out but windy and cold today.
Got there at 11 am and the parking lot was empty, an hour later give or take it was full.
Great beach to spend summer. It was so cool seeing horses on the beach 🤩. There are public restrooms. We absolutely love the Oregon coast 💜

As of mid March the path to the river trail was flooded so I didn't get to see that part. The sinewy trees near there were very cool though. Other than that this was another chilly stretch of Oregon coastline, could have been anywhere on the coast. If you're nearby, sure, check it out. I wouldn't go too far out the way to swing by here though, it isn't the most unique chunk of coastline. I'd recommend Sitka Sedge a little further north for a more memorable outing.

Beautiful open fresh ocean air!
Horse riding close.
You can drive on beach.
You can find cool things!
Not overly packed with people.
Very long beach.
Will come back again.

Very good place to ride horses as a designated horse park. However, there need to be signs around reminding patrons that this is a horse park. The law states that everyone yields to horseback riders and most people don’t realize that.
Chris Jour — Google review
It was windy and wet while we were there. But not that cold. The waves were magnificent and the clouds ever shifting. We took our shoes off and luxuriated in the light sand. There wasn’t a lot of flotsam and jetsam from the storm. Barely a thing to pick up and wonder over. But that was OK because we were on to more adventures that day. I got to take my best friend from high school here, it was the first time that she got to see the ocean in person. She was giddy with delight and I don’t blame her.

Make sure to check the Tide Tables!! This place is best enjoyed at low tide!! You can walk the 2.5 miles on the beach to the Nestucca River and back. There are tide pools at the very end where you can spot some sand dollars!! You may also see stone eagles if you're lucky!!
The view of Chief Kiwanda Rock is spectacular and makes for a dramatic backdrop for your photos. Going in the off season has been great as the coast is packed in summer and during holidays.

Beautiful state park which is a DESIGNATED HORSE PARK. Because it’s a horse park, it would be nice if people wouldn’t dig holes and leave them. Not even safe. Make sure you’re keeping an eye out for the horses and giving them the right of way.

We arrived on a unusually hot day for the Oregon coast. This state park was not as crowded as others in the area. The parking lot had plenty of space, the facilities were all operational and fairly clean. The little hike up to the crest of the dunes and then down to the beach wasn't too bad. Sand filled our shoes quickly! The beach had a nice long expanse and was clean. We had a nice view of Haystack Rock out of Cape Kiwanda. All in all you couldn't ask for much more.

The best place for horseback riding on the Oregon coast! Bring cash for the day use parking at the boat ramp area ($4) and don’t be afraid to leave your trailer parked there all day. Explore many miles of forest and beach trails. Ride along the top of the dune ridges with an amazing view. Don’t forget to start your ride tracking app when you set out, and drop a pin for your location in case you get lost!
Spirit Mountain Casino offers both table games and slot machines, as well as hotel rooms and RV spots for guests. Visitors can choose from several restaurants and enjoy regular live entertainment. The layout of the casino is beautifully designed, with a smoke-free environment that allows for easy walking around. A gift shop is available with great items at reasonable prices. The overall experience at Spirit Mountain Casino is wonderful, with friendly staff enforcing safety measures such as masks and frequent cleaning of machines and restrooms.
After almost 2 yrs we were able to come back! Since then they have remodeled their rooms. They look amazing. We had a double queen room and then a king bed room after we decided to stay an extra night. I did NOT get a pic of the rooms though. Their rooms are clean and spacious. Customer service was great throughout the whole place. Even though the Buffet still remains closed they do have other dining options. We had our Thanksgiving dinner at the Summit View. A bit pricey but deliciously worth it. We had breakfast from the Sports Bar. Had the regular breakfast that consisted of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy. All was good. Prices here were great. From the Deli we had a salad, cheeseburger and hot dog. Quick meal and affordable. They also have the Sipps Cafe. It opens early which is great! Has a variety of options for coffee, lattes, smoothies and ice cream. Decent prices. Their gift shop is a bit pricey but always has great stuff. Gaming options are great. They have a lot of new slot machines and a few of the older ones which I enjoy! Good pay outs. Location is great. You are between Salem and Lincoln City. Will definitely be back!

I stayed a night in the lodge with my girlfriend. The lobby to the lodge very warm and comfortable. Especially with the huge fireplace. Our king size room with a tub was excellent.
I found the free soda fountain next to the gambling area convenient and there was food choices aplenty, in case we got hungry. We ate at Amore with reservations and it was fantastic. Great service, food, wine selection, and atmosphere there.
I also got lucky and won a few bets, including a straight-up bet at the roulette table. Overall, we had a super fun time. We definitely will be returning and racking up those Coyote reward points in the near future.

I highly recommend Spirit Mountain Casino in Grand Ronde, Oregon for your next convention, group event or weekend getaway.
The events department is amazing to work with, especially Tanya and Donna! I can not tell you how helpful, knowledgeable and awesome these two ladies were to work with. The whole events staff was friendly and helpful, it’s a great group.
The lodge facilities are modern and lovely. My room was beautiful and had a tv, coffee maker, fridge, iron and board, hairdryer and the best lighting in the bathroom. Plenty of plug-ins and USB ports.
The casino itself is beautiful, the flooring is vibrant and facilities are clean. There are many places to eat and enjoy, including a sports book, buffet, Mexican food, Chinese food, bar and coffee shop.
I don’t think you can go wrong staying at Spirit Mountain Casino!

My wife and I went for a concert last night. We got there early and ate dinner at one of the many places inside. The service was great and the food was delicious. A little pricey for the area but that was expected.
The concert venue is small, 1,600 to 2,000 seats, but the sound quality is excellent! Security is very visible, which is a good thing in today’s world. They were all professional and friendly and all the interactions that I saw were handled well.
We will definitely come back for a longer stay.

Good casino, good food, watch out for security they are always watching you. Don't have any for sale signs in your car windows or they will kick you off of the property. Do not sleep inside or outside any casinos. We can't have that now! There are no clocks inside or outside the casino so bring a watch or phone. Gamble high or low, they both work, but if you have the money gamble as high as you can. Maybe you will will the GRAND Prize for only 50 cents. I know....HAVE FUN, LIFES TOO SHORT

Spirit Mountain Casino at Grand Ronde, OR is an adult entertainment destination about 60 miles outside of Portland proper. In addition to the casino, there is a hotel on property which is conveniently connected to the casino.
The hotel rooms are nicely appointed with contemporary decor. The halls are well lit with clean carpets.
The casino is filled with both slot machines, mostly video-style and an assortment of table games such as Pai Gow, Blackjack, and Craps to name a few. The casino is clean, well lit and completely non-smoking. There is a designated smoking casino, which is enclosed. The Casino provides unlimited non-alcoholic beverages, alcohol can be purchased through a waitress or at the bar.
Located near the hotel, Spirit Mountain is home to a concert hall that hosts various concerts of all genres throughout the year. Although there is no bar inside the concert hall, multiple mobile bars with limit menus are stationed immediately outside the auditorium in the reception hall.
Spirit Mountain has a handful of eateries to choose from. In addition to the sports bar located near the main casino entrance, there is a pizza/concession area hosted by 10 Barrel, Chinese food, Mexican food, and Italian restaurant. There's also a small food court and snack shop. Spirit Mountain used to be known for its amazing buffet, but in this post COVID world, the buffet is no longer offered. There are special events such as the Seafood Feast buffet that is offered periodically throughout the year.

Spent 2 nights just to enjoy and relax with family. The rooms are nice and clean. The bell person was so nice as every time we walked by him he always had something nice to say and input about the casino.
Had a good time yet did not win but the food was good. Our server was not as nice as the last time I was there bit the food was still good.
Took some time and travel to Tillamook to enjoy the day.
Go and try it yourself and share if you agree.with me or not.
The one thing I was sad about is no swimming pool 😕.

Surprised that you can actually breathe in there, not filled with cigarette smoke. It had been years since I last visited, nice atmosphere. They have a separate closed off smoking area. When you walk by it you can definitely smell the smoke but it's mostly away from everything else.
We ate at Happy Dragon, food was just ok, fruit fly in one of our water glasses. A few of us got sick later that night. Won't be going back to that restaurant. Casino was enjoyable!

its alright.. if they had better promotions. i only come here out of convenience and its not that convenient. and the $5 once a week freeplay (some months they do $10) that you can only use monday through friday (and not on a holiday) is almost insulting. it may be worth the drive then if it were more or they had more promotions like mini games once per day to get free play or something at the kiosks. but id honestly rather drive just a little further to chinook to get the better promotions plus theres the beach too! 🥰 or even just drive to ilani in the first place.

We came for a wine tasting over memorial day weekend with a fairly large group and had a wonderful time. Katie gave us a tour and did the wine tasting and was absolutely fantastic! Great wine, but we paid $40 each for a Mother's Day brunch and were extremely disappointed.
When we arrived, an employee berated us for being late (Happy Mother's Day, Mom.). After that, we wandered around looking for things to do with our one $40 glass of wine. We sat in the shade to enjoy the scenery, and the same employee kicked us out of our table to seat another family while plenty of other seating was available for them.
We left after a half hour and had a wonderful Mother's Day after that, but it definitely wasn't worth the money or time.

The Drift Creek Covered Bridge is a charming wooden bridge that was originally constructed in 1914, but has since been relocated 8 miles away from its original site. This historical attraction is a popular destination for tourists who appreciate the beauty of covered bridges. Visitors can learn about its history through printouts provided on-site and enjoy a peaceful drive to reach the location just off Highway 101. The bridge also features benches where visitors can relax and take in the scenery.
The history and beauty of this old bridge is well worth seeing! A very short drive from Highway 101 you can have a peaceful drive and relax on the benches there.

The Drift Creek (aka Bear Creek) Covered Bridge was originally located near Lincoln City, just 1.5 miles from the coast. It was considered the oldest remaining covered bridge in Oregon.
The bridge had served as part of a main north-south route along the Oregon coast. New roads and highways were eventually built, thus making the route and bridge obsolete.
Built in 1914, surrounding the community of Lutgens. By 1917 the town was now named Nice and had changed names at least eight times, prior to the post office closing in 1919.
When the bridge was bypassed with a concrete span in the 1960's, the county passed an ordinance preserving the wooden structure as an historical memorial to the early pioneers.
In 1988, the bridge had to be closed to pedestrian traffic due to neglect and it's deteriorating condition from rot and insect damage. Steel beams were installed inside the bridge to keep it from collapsing.
Dismantled in 1997 after attempts to limit access to the bridge failed. The structure was given to the Sweitz family who own land 8 miles north of the original site. They envisioned the structure being rebuilt over a concrete bridge that serves as a driveway to their property and home across Bear Creek, in a small, beautiful park-like setting with public access.

It is actually on private property since the bridge was rebuilt and moved. The bridge itself is really awesome, beautiful and historical. The people that own the property nearly ran me over while I was in the bridge taking photos so be aware if they're driving around.
Eric Peña (E) — Google review
The bridge and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful (even in the rain)!!
This is the oldest Covered Bridge in Oregon. The county demolished it where it originally sat and the Sweitz family picked up the pieces and rebuilt it on their land so everyone can continue to enjoy it.
The story on how the bridge came to sit on the land was inspiring and I wanted to read more 💕 (see pics).
I definitely recommend stopping to see this piece of history and thank you to the Sweitz family for putting it back together and most of all for sharing it with the rest of us!!
Made one wrong turn and miles later ended up behind a locked gate. Walked a mile past the gate to get to the trailhead, then had a steep hike back up the mountain since I went the wrong way. Don't miss the road turn that goes up the hill from the South Fork of the Siletz River to follow the east side of the North Fork of the Siletz River. Our confusion was due to not understanding where the old Valetz Lake bed is and trying to follow the BLM map. Directions on this site are more clear, but lack a map. I only figured this out later at home looking at old 1974 USGS quad maps that show the old lake and company town of Valetz. The newer quad maps don't show landmarks like the old ones did. Note that all other roads near the trailhead are dead ends and you can only access the site from Falls City.

A timber treasure hidden in the oregon coast range west of Salem.
Twenty five years ago as a Boy Scout, I camped at the trail head to Valley Of The Giants. There was an old growth log that had fallen across the river. Back then that old growth log was the foot bridge. Now the log is gone and an engineered steel foot bridge sets in the same spot.
The trail is rugged and steep in spots. It will be slippery and you should expect to land on your back pockets when it's rained. There are some spots on the trail where the roots may trip your feet up. This trail while being only 1.3 mils long, is probably best suited for the sure footed individuals.
Have you been here yet?

A spectacular hike through old growth with plenty of elevations and level trails. There’s 5 mini bridges to cross and plenty of views to take pictures. The forestry dept. has maintained the trail so all kinds of shoes can make it.
Once at the top a beanie can be handy.
Make sure your device is charged, you’ll be taking plenty of pictures. Elk is also present from time to time.
Grab a friend or go solo, but you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic hike with beautiful scenery. This place is difficult to get to, and you'll need to plan for about an hour and a half of travel time in each direction from Falls City. There is only one route to get to The Valley of the Giants, and it's not the way Google maps takes you. I've added a photo of the directions given to me by the Bureau of Land Management, this is the only route to get to the trailhead. The hike itself is about 2.2 miles, 1,200 ft elevation change. Steep in some places, a little muddy, but nothing was impassable. You hike down into the valley first, and cross a beautiful foot bridge over the Siletz river. Once in the valley, you hike up and around in a loop through the old growth rainforest, getting up close to 400 year old douglass firs. You loop back to the footbridge, then hike out. If you're going to do this hike, plan to make a day of it. It takes a long time to get there (you drive 30 miles in on back logging roads), and the hike itself takes about an hour. Pack a lunch and bring lots of water, and know there's no bathrooms at the trailhead. Overall, this was a beautiful hike and a unique experience. It always feels humbling to be around such big trees, and the forest is calming and very green.
Andrea Hagge — Google review
Valley of the giants itself was very awesome, although I almost didn't make it. Like others Google will not take you the proper way. You need to go to Falls City, cross the bridge and keep going straight. You will follow the main gravel rode through Valsetz (an open area with a foundation with boulders in it), you cross a bridge over the Siletz, keep following the road until it forks. You will see a sign that reads 100 that goes up hill, take this to the right, and then keep going for some ways. There will be another fork that is not gated (most forks are gated and it is fairly easy to tell which is the main road) and the road to Valley of the Giants is to the left. When I was there the road said closed for logging operations. I did not know this was the road as the loggers likely took down the sign, and kept driving until I found an Oregon Trooper who showed me to the same road, and asked the loggers if we could pass (they let us pass). You then follow this road for at least a couple miles where it forks and there is a VOG marker pointing to the right to the trailhead. The problem is apparently this used to be well marked, I saw no markings up to this point, and was also trying to use google maps or directions from the oregon hiker post (neither were too helpful, but I would have found it if the loggers had not closed the road). The logging up here is intense and the road to valley of the giants is being stripped clean. Valley of the giants in itself is awesome and made it worth it for me. The roads up are very scenic and not super rough. I made it in a Kia Optima, but it was a rental, I wouldn't recommend anything with less than 6-8 inches of ground clearance. I bottomed out on several occasions. The siletz is an amazing looking river to meander alongside and I even had to stop at one point to take a photo. Pictures certainly do not do the actual location justice though, you just can't get the scale of size or the colors you see in person. The hike was not too difficult around the loop either, with some moderate hills, but well groomed for the most part (some people have put in other side trails that make it a little confusing). It was wet but not too slick either.
Also as others have mentioned, there is no service here or in Falls City, know your route ahead of time, download the area in google maps before you leave, and probably call ahead too.

Nick was great checking us in. My daughter, baby and I checked into a nice roomy King handicap room facing the parking lot. We were there to relax. We had a nice dinner at the restaurant and walk on the beach. Then at 2:13 am there were 2 men looking at cars in parking lot. A couple fighting in their room until 6am. Tried calling front desk 3 times, no security and the reservation person said to go up to their room and knock on the door. The people were screaming the "f" word and throwing stuff...no way was I going to put myself in danger. So no sleep that night. In the morning I told front desk. Seems it happened all the time because no one seemed really concerned. Still charged full price and not sure if anyone checked on that room. We were so excited to finally stay at the resort. I think we will stay down the street and drive to the casino and restaurant the next visit.

After a very long day of driving we decided to try our luck at the casino hotel based on the success of the other two we’d stayed at the past few days. With fees the room was $300. First, know that the hotel is not connected to the casino so you have to walk or take a shuttle, it closes between 4 and 8 a.m. and you have to use stairs to get to the rooms. Upon entering it was clear this used to be a smoking room though we’d booked a nonsmoking, there is no balcony to view the ocean, only get to peek at it through a very dirty window, there were stains on the carpet and the bathroom floor was dirty. Basic furniture with nicks and scratches. Dated fixtures and sink in the room. Thank goodness the beds were cleaned and comfortable but we rolled out early the next morning to get out of that depressing space. Given the lack of luck my travel partner had at the casino we should have stayed down the road in a cheaper nicer place. Don’t be duped…don’t stay here.

Buffet should have been about $12.95 not $29. The main Prime Rib was absolutely the worst piece of meat I've ever tried to chew. Hard to believe they would try to sell that to anybody. The guy that was cutting the meat and spooning out the clam chowder soup was either simple-minded or a Jerk. I couldn't really tell. He skimmed the top of the giant container of soup to fill the bowl. There was no clams potatoes or anything just juice. The rest of the buffet was just OK. The best thing they had was the Indian fry bread tacos. Not really a taco but tasted like one. And to top it all off the deserts we're nothing to write home about. The caramel salted ice cream was about the only worth trying. Everybody was nice and knew what they were doing except for the guy slicing the meat and dishing out the the juice chowder. Just read a review about the prime rib from somebody that ate there that same night that said it was great. Don't believe that for a second. That was the worst piece of meat ever and I mean ever! Who paid that guy off to say that was great or even good??

Boy, this place was really crowded and so loud. We couldn't even talk to the guy next to us, that's her eye, because it was New Year's we expected it to have to be pretty crowded would have a great New York City party that they thrones with the DJ and the special room all free and compliments to the hotel. We didn't stay the night though. We're at a beach house. Are winnings were about equal. Came with a $100 left with a 60 .

The walls are paper thin, the people next to us and above had tvs on all night (which I can hear like it's my TV) and have been awake off and on all night talking. They sound like they are in our room...The room is the size of a larger bathroom... Barely got sleep, the rooms are not even connected to the casino .. we are very disappointed with our stay. Unfortunately we won't be back. Beware if you are expecting a nice resort getaway, this is just not the case here.

I had visited before and recently stayed in the area to go to the casino for the weekend. I really like this casino. They've got great views outside the casino, their nearby eatery was delicious and had amazing views, and their nearby hotel also had killer views (I did not stay at their hotel).
Most important - no smoking indoors!
This made for a very clean and pleasant gambling experience. The employees seemed happy and were clean and friendly.
I didn't win, but I still had an enjoyable time and will definitely return in the future.

It was our first time coming here. We had dinner at the rogue River steakhouse. I will have to say that food was outstanding and reasonably priced. I got the pork porterhouse which is a big pork chop. It was delicious with a nice barbecue sauce, a nice mix of vegetables and a baked potato. I like that they give you fresh out of the oven bread with plenty of butter. Our server was Joy and she did a really nice job of taking care of us. We will definitely be back!

So disappointed with Chinook Winds! My Husband and I booked two rooms because this is where our son wanted to celebrate his 21st birthday with us and a couple of friends lest start out by saying I have not encountered 1 nice employee in this whole place except for the bartender at the casino and the young men working in laundry rooms! We never got housekeeping service and were told but the rude front desk girl that it’s not something they offer! The machines are incredibly tight! And the food in the food court is nasty! The only nice thing about this place is the view as can’t see the ocean from Montana!

I've never given a casino a 5 star rating, but this one is well deserved.
The rooms are a wow factor themselves where each room has an ocean view. Upon entering the windows were slightly open offering that clean fresh breeze yet the temp was comfortable and relaxing.
The staff gets even a better rating (if that's possible) from the hotel staff to security and even the entertainment venue staff was outstanding.
I hope someday I have an opportunity to come back.
This place has it figured out.

Way too overpriced for what you get. $300 a night for a tiny room crammed into a small hallway with two other rooms connecting. Cigarette and marijuana smoke pouring into our room from the others connected. So loud you could hear every work from the other room. Phone did not work to call the shuttle to go to the casino or to anyone else to complain. Definitely will never stay here again. Booked out of convenience for a concert, but will stay elsewhere next time for half the price!
Very disappointed!!!!

Celebrating a friend's 21st birthday here was an okay experience; but Teri made it better! I wish we remembered to go to the employee referall box so she got proper credit. Genuinely adored her and how hard she works. On that note we tried to find an online version of employee ratings etc and found that the casino only offers meal benefits to day and swing time shifts but not graveyard like Teri. This information deeply upset me and my friend, so I hope maybe this can change and we can value people like Teri a little more.

We went to the Casino for dinner. We tried the Steak House but the wait was longer than we wanted. So we stopped at the buffet version of the Steak House, at first we were a little skeptical but the cashier told us what to expect and, wow was it good!! High-end items that were being replaced/refreshed often. Plates were cleared quickly, and our server was really sweet.

Come for 3 nights got a room in the older building on ground floor with a door to the ocean. Rooms were very clean and spacious, the beds were very comfortable. Has microwave and refrigerator. The only thing was the sink had very little space to put anything on. The tub was a little small and shower pressure was ok.
I would definitely recommend for anyone to stay, and I will be coming back. Just hearing and seeing the ocean was very relaxing

Lovely place as far as casinos go. The atmosphere is nice, or would be if there didn't have to be security guards everywhere. They actually make me realize (along with the guards everywhere you go) that we no longer live in a "free" country. Just the illusion of one. Makes it hard to enjoy the otherwise relatively peaceful atmosphere of the place. Of course everything is expensive, but it's a casino in the coast, one would expect no less ..

Somewhere between 3 and 4. Rooms are pretty basic. Bed, bath, TV, small fridge and microwave. Beds are fairly comfortable. You are right on the water so it's nice when the tide is out. Great deal if you can get a mid-week special. Not sure if I'm expecting too much from a casino but it serves its function. It has my vote for sure.

Consistency, it's the name of the game for buffets. This one fails. No replacement tastes as the one it replaced. The jambalaya for example: chicken and shrimp is what it said it was. The first batch had no shrimp, which was fine with me. It was actually really good, so I went back for more. The second batch was super mushy from the rice being over cooked. This time, it was sausage, with no chicken. The spices tasted different and it was an entirely different color than the previous batch.
The cucumbers in the mixed greens for the salad tasted weird, but that's probably from sitting in the bin, mixed in with everything, rather than being in their own container.
The staff behind the line is not very engaging, and will continue to laugh and talk to each other while you stand there, so I didn't bother going back to try again on my other trips to the hot food side.
All in all, it was a very disappointing experience for the $50 I spent for the two of us. We probably won't be eating at the buffet again.
The only saving grace for them is the floor staff. They are VERY sweet and attentive. They are the ONLY reason I'm giving this 2 stars.

My favorite casino in Oregon. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of variety with the slot machines (I didn't play table games). Machines are kept clean and the casino is non-smoking. I always have a good time, win or lose. The only downside is restaurant options within the casino are limited, but the food that is served is great and you get ocean views from the steakhouse. I've tried out other casinos within a few hours drive, and even if they are bigger or have more food options I just tend to have a better time at Chinook Winds.

First and last time. I brought my nephew here for his 21st to show him a good time. Steak lunch with a killer view, and at 11 am on Sunday, the 23rd I went into the Steak restaurant and asked the bartender if anyone was working as he was loading his lemon and lime bin. He was the rudest person I have ever met in a public place. When I asked if there was anyone working, after sitting there for 10 minutes, he said yeah there out there somewhere 🤔 I asked if they served breakfast, and he didn't even turn around and said No! I'm busy. SO CHINOOK WINDS CASINO!!!! We had a couple thousand dollars we planned on spending... WE LEFT AND WON'T BE BACK JUST BECAUSE OF THAT A-HOLE!!!

We were very happy with our stay. We stayed in the junior suite and the room was beautiful and clean. The views from our balcony were breathtakingly stunning. Our room was reasonably priced as well. The staff was wonderful and polite. I love that the casino is smoke free. Thank you Chinook winds for the much needed rest and the fun at the casino and beach. We loved staying here.

As a traveler, I found this place by the ocean and signed up for a players card. I'm not normally a gambler but I appreciate places like this which have a safe parking lot and open doors... a good place to go on a rainy day. Friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere for a casino. Definitely appreciate that they allow overnight parking which enabled me to support this business. Though, there definitely are some loud vehicles that drive around the parking lot throughout the night. It's also within short walking distance to the beach so you can take a break and relax watching the waves. These qualities makes me want to come back every time I'm in Lincoln City. Thanks Chinook Winds!

I went to see a comedy show and enjoyed it. I gave them a 3 star on service because management isn't using the venue effectively. I was there on a Saturday night to see this show, waited 10 minutes in line to get a drink before the show because there was no waitress or private bar in the venue/show room. Meanwhile. I could see a 2nd stocked bar across the room, but no one was working it. After waiting, I was only allowed to buy 2 single serving drinks.

Don't bring the kids here. Arcade closed, pool closed. Winter time not great for beach walking. Rooms noisy. Paper thin walls. Beautiful view of the ocean. But will stay else where next time

The establishment is a casino situated in Lincoln City, Oregon, with the unique distinction of being the only casino in the area to be located adjacent to the ocean. Complimentary fountain beverages, including soda and juice, are provided to guests. The casino features an upper level accessible by an escalator, and parking is available at no charge. While I have not had the opportunity to stay at the resort, I can attest to the exceptional amenities and convenient location of the casino.

I had to stand in line for 30 minutes to buy a drink. I think they only employ 2 bartenders. It's bad enough that you have to buy your own drinks when you gamble. You also need a map to find the restrooms. The only one I could find was inside the Bingo event center. I'll just go somewhere else next time.

It’s a nice casino and we’ve always enjoyed our visits. Decent affordable eats on the casino floor, try the clam chowder! We win sometimes and we have attended many shows and events. Many holidays here and the events are fun and free. I am writing to tell you all the employees are very kind and welcoming, from services to restaurants and bars. Shout out to Jon at casino bar who has been serving us for decades. Every employee should be mentioned here as customer service is exceptional. They have reduced some gaming benefits so I dropped one star but this is a great place to hang and have a little fun. Use the free shuttle on weekends.

We arrived pretty late when we checked in. Our room was at the bottom floor with a beautiful window view of the ocean….that was about the only plus thing I can say about this place. The room smell like people were in there doing drugs and drinking all night. It had a bad smell along with cigarette smell! It didn’t feel safe. At 2,3,4,5 am, you can hear people walking around and at some point, they were shaking the door handle to our room! We checked out at 7am. We couldn’t even get any rest because we refused to lay on the bed. It was already after 2am, and it was not safe to sleep in our car in their parking lot. We tried, but a native man told us it would be a bad idea to sleep in our car, and that we were better off staying in the room. What a nightmare that was! I gave 4⭐️ for the location, which it was the beach. Other than that, I do not recommend this place to anyone.
Moderate hiking trail in national forest close to scenic waterfalls with a suspended footbridge.
What an amazing hike! The only downside was I wish it was a longer hike. There is an alternate trail just a short way up the trail & I strongly recommend people take it because it was beautiful and I didn’t see another person along that whole section. It also adds a bit more of distance which I like. The suspension bridge is impressive & the waterfall was stunning. Incredible views abound all along this trail. It’s worth stepping off the path because there are some amazing spots that most people just walk on past. The drive there is a bit hairy as the road is narrow in sections and it’s very curvy. Still it’s a hike that would be sad to miss.

This is a fabulous place to take the family for a day hike. My wife and I walked out to the falls and included the north loop. The total distance was 4.3 miles. Great workout but not too difficult. The suspension bridge was really cool. Well built and very safe. Really a fun day in the outdoors!

*The road to get here was a little rough. It was narrow, had potholes, and fallen trees/branches in some areas. You will have to drive a little slower because there's a lot of curves and can't see other cars coming down. It's basically one lane, traffic going both ways.*
It was a good trail. It was pretty flat most of the way, so I'd say it was a pretty easy hike. I loved the bridge and beautiful waterfall!

April 2, 2022 visit. Arrived about 11am and found a few parking spaces open in parking area. There is a pit toilet house, very clean, with two rooms at the trail head. Permits can be purchased at the trail head if you do not have one. Rain occurred the day before and we found the tail damp to muddy, as you move along. This is an easy trail to hike. Wooden bridges cross over the streams and creeks where needed. Tree roots and rocks make some of the trail uneven and if you try to bring a stroler you my be lifting it in areas to continue. Only one person did not have their dog on a leash among many that we encountered. The hike in was mostly down grade. At the falls is an fairly large viewing area. You can get down to the base of the falls if you feel the need. We returned to the tail head about 12:30pm and parking was full. Parking along the road was occurring. This is a nice short hike into some wooded areas and along flowing creeks.

The drive in is long and winding, but oh so gorgeous. Hiked in the pouring rain, but it only made the experience all the more mystical. Moderate out and back hike of 1.5 miles each way, beautiful rainforest the entire way, and the most beautiful view of the waterfall from a suspended bridge. I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve heard of this hike! Definitely recommend!
Kesslyn Fleck — Google review
The weather was perfect. The trail was dry. You will drive 12 miles on tight winding roads to reach the parking lot. Once reaching the lot, which has a bathroom, park and you will find the trail head. It should take about 30 minutes to reach the falls. As of June 2023, there were 5 to7 spots where trees obstruct the path. They will slow you down but won't stop you from continuing to your destination. The hike to the suspension bridge was easy. The hike down to the creek under the falls is moderate, you'll need to use your hands and feet. The view was spectacular.

Great hike without the mud! We’d just hiked another trail and ended up quite muddy. Not here! The well maintained trail was scenic and well groomed with packed gravel much of the way. The suspension bridge near the end was amazing. Being a little wary of heights, it wasn’t my favorite, but the view was great and the falls were beautiful. We enjoyed the hike as a family.

Beautiful exciting hike! It got muddy at some parts but the suspension footbridge and waterfall are totally worth it!
Please note, it does get busy throughout the day so parking can become an issue. I recommend early mornings!

The roads are narrow at times so be slow on your way to and from the trailhead.
There was plenty of parking left when we went around 10am. We were able to use restrooms and eat lunch at a nice picnic table before we hit the trail. Unfortunately there was no way to pay the day use at the time because the machine was out of order. Everyone we met on the trail was incredibly sweet to my 3 little kids as they tried to talk to everyone and show them the bugs they caught. LOTS of mosquitoes so be prepared. We didn't make it to the falls because my littles had too much fun exploring on the way.
Also, don't go by Google maps when attempting to leave. It told me to turn on some unnamed side road that was sketch and gated. I just went back the same way I got there.

Beautiful hike. Easy. Not too much up hill. Not too much down hill. Pretty even all the way to the falls. About a mile and a half total in and out. Well maintained trail and trail head.
Took us about an 2 hours in and back. That's with stopping to enjoy the falls.

Gorgeous and short hike. The hike isn’t hard. Kids can do it. It’s beautiful and you go over a suspension bridge at the end and see the falls.

Easy trail, not too short or long, but a fun payoff at the end (read view of the falls and experience on well-kept suspension bridge). A bunch of biting flies down at the water tho, but.... whatever, welcome to the outdoors. :) Lots of people on the trail, but not so much you have no privacy. Long, windy, steep dropp-offs on the gravel road from OR-22 to NF-17. Drive slower around turns, lest one of you go over the side. :)

Moderate to easy hike (1.5 miles) into a nice remote waterfall with a suspension bridge over the ravine the falls spill into. There is a nice close up view from the top down and then you can hike to the bottom of the falls and see the falls and the bridge looking up. It is about a 10 mile drive off of Highway 101 on a paved forest road.

Beautiful place. Signs say it's 1.5 miles to the falls. It's uphill on the return so it feels longer 😀 currently there are a ton of trees blocking the path so you mostly have to climb over and sometimes under trees. Overall the path is easy to walk through, and walking the bridge and getting in front of the falls was Beautiful. Would love to come again when the falls are much fuller.

This place had everything I am so passionate about, lots of cool rocks/fossils/taxidermy/art. Seeing CrankMaggot(Richard Difeo)'s original fusion art here really caught me by surprise and was so cool to see in person as a fan of his work. Examples of his work are the turkey headed snake, the boot with the jaws, the toad with opossum teeth, the alligator hand in the shell, etc. Between seeing one of my favorite artist's work in the wild and all the cool dinosaur/paleontology as well as cool taxidermy was definitely a highlight of my trip to the coast. There was a lot of affordable trinkets and authentic fossils to take home, the taxidermy is for sale as well and I highly recommend visiting such a unique shop.

I really love dinosaurs and places that have stuff that have dinosaurs and bones and stuff in that nature. This place is really neat for that. Also it has a neat collection of other stuff like different animals, jar filled weird stuff, and things that have been mummified. They also have cool collections of minerals, rocks, and gems. The only reason I give it four stars is because they just seem a little too pricey. Especially for like a stuffed animal for kids.

The Lincoln City Outlet Center is home to a variety of great shops, offering a fantastic shopping experience. However, it's worth noting that during holiday weekends, it can get quite busy. As a result, the close parking areas tend to fill up quickly, and visitors may need to be prepared for a short walk to reach the shopping area. Despite the potential parking challenge, the center's wide selection of stores makes it a worthwhile destination for those seeking great deals and a diverse shopping experience.

Expect to park in the secondary parking garage and know that it’s likely to be crowded on a weekend. Had a blast walking through the stores and could comfortably get to/from each under the large awnings, so rain or shine, you’re bound to have a good time 😜 a few places to eat lunch, but several “snacky” stores are also available. Good for older kids / adults but not great for small kids. We thought we might get some school shopping out of the way early we have some elementary age kids. However the only two outlets there that really applied to them had very limited selection and not that great a deals despite many of the other stores having good sales.
So if you like coming here cuz you're a little bit older you know maybe teens and above then it's probably for you. But little kids not so much

Good selection of stores. Dog friendly as they supply bags for pet waste in some spots. Gilgamesh Brewing recently opened so there are more options to have a bite, besides Momiji's and Salt. Only complaint is, if you challenged by stairs or bringing a wagon, stroller or walker, be prepared to be exposed to rain and weather if you need to utilize the ramps to get around.

The outlets were clean and well maintained. The assortment of stores was varied and there were a few places to stop and eat. There is a centrally located restroom with a customer help area. There isn't a lot of parking in the middle of all the stores, but there is a 2 story parking structure to the East that you can park in and walk over. Additionally, there is a Tesla charger on the south side of the building.

We stay in Newport seasonally for work and frequent the outlets often! There are always great deals and friendly people. During our most recent trip, one of my girls lost their brand new stuffy caterpillar outside of one of the shops. We noticed within 5 minutes of losing it and went back outside to check for it- but someone decided it needed a new home apparently and took it with them. My oldest was devastated as she had picked it out for her little sister and thought it was super special.
We ultimately decided to go to customer service/admin offices to leave our names in case someone brought it in. The ladies in the office were SO sweet. They even gave my girls a new stuffy with the tags still on to soothe the hurt of their lost toy. We were so surprised at that generosity and kindness! They said they keep a stock of new stuffies just in case someone loses their special friend.
I just thought it was so sweet. And so were the candies they gave us as well. Stuffies and candies. Can’t go wrong there!

Lincoln City Outlets is a great place to get good prices on the central Oregon Coast. Many major brands have outlet stores there. Good parking and you can go to the beach when you're done shopping. It is a very dog friendly place. They are ready for the Christmas shopping rush.

I enjoy these outlets often more than I do the ones in Woodburn. I seem to find better clearance deals and a wider variety during sales. There's a lot of parking in the back, so don't get disappointed if the small lot in front is full.

About like most outlet malls. Overpriced with no clothes for the tourist.
But the Rivian charger is top notch and the Ginger Roots shop is cool.

Pretty awesome outlet mall. We were skeptical of the whole outlet mall schtick, but this mall was cozy and there were deals to be had (especially at the Columbia outlet). Easy in and out and lots of shopping.

Lincoln City Glass Center is a remarkable art studio offering a diverse selection of glass art, ranging from decorative figurines and jewelry to plates and more. It's the ideal place to buy gifts for yourself or others. The studio provides an exciting create-your-own session that allows you to enjoy a hands-on experience while the glass blower guides you through each step. The entire process is informative and entertaining, providing great insight into glass blowing.
This was a supper fun experience! We were able to help make our item. Our glass person was very knowledgeable and helpful as we made our pice. We made a glob and really enjoyed the whole experience. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating. They also has protocol in place for the safety equipment so that they were clean!

We had an amazing experience learning the art of glass blowing! CHANDLER was awesome, great instructor with tons of info, let us be hands-on and create for ourselves! It was such a fun experience, I recommend the most timid to try... you won't be disappointed!

Took a blowing glass class and it was so worth it. I recommend everyone blowing their own instead of purchasing once from the showroom. And make amazing gifts if you can part with it. We are having troubles ever party with them they're so mesmerizing.

Can't say enough about how amazing this place is. My 13yo son loved his experience with making a glass float with Daniel today. Daniel was incredibly informative and kind. All the other employees were also just as awesome. Along with the float my son made we also found some beautiful pendants to take home in their shop.

This is a lovely glass shop with a working hot shop. Best of all, you can sign up to blow your own custom creation with the help of one of the staff. Slots fill up quickly, so book your class early in the week. Hot glass takes time to cool, so you pick up your creation the following day.

My husband Charlie and l looked for glass floats for 3 days. But no luck. So my husband went and made his own. The lady would helped him was great and the gentlemen working with her was great as well. Its not cheap but it's a one of a kind. My husband made the med float and had them ship it to us in sc.

Great shop with a wide selection of glass art, from decorative figurines to jewelry to plates and more. Perfect for getting gifts for yourself or others.
I enjoyed a create-your-own session, which was a lot of fun. It was hands-on and very informative. The glass blower did most of the work, but I still got to be hands-on for most of the steps. And then I came away with a beautiful piece to take home! Definitely recommend the experience!
Just come ready to splurge.

My wife made a paperweight and I made a small glass float. The price was reasonable, the glass blowers were helpful and friendly. We both had a good time and were very happy with the items we created. Note, that you will have to pick up your completed items the following day or they will ship the items to you. Look forward to doing this again the next time we are here.

I always wanted to stop by
a glass studio and was
amazed by the large selection
of beautiful pieces on display.
It was nice to find a large
variety of floats in different
sizes and colors with a glass

The other pieces included
paperweights, hearts, and
votives in different colors

The studio offers a hands-on
experience to make your
own glass design with one
of the professional glassblowers.
Located in a brick building
near Taft Park on HWY 101

This was so fun! I wandered in and they had an opening so I made a float. It was really fun and they helped make sure I didn't screw anything up. I learned a lot about the process and also the artists were giving tips on how to get started and learn more. Everyone was super nice there. The show room was really wonderful, some of the pieces were stunning.
Mike Billau — Google review
The folks here were super nice, very engaging and knowledgeable. But the prices are pretty high and you kind of have to wonder how much of it actually goes to the artists that make the pieces vs how much is retail markup. I do appreciate, though, that they have some smaller/cheaper pieces so there's kind of something for everyone.

We had so much fun with our glass blowing experience. We chose the medium float, and it turned out great. The staff was amazing and made our time there wonderful. The only complaint I have is the young lady at the gallery checkout counter. She was quite rude and felt the need to be utterly contrarian/rude toward anything we said and was downright unpleasant. If there's a reason we won't return, it's her.

Chandler was awesome and I was very happy with the experience and the glass jellyfish I got to take home. You can choose what you would like to make, pick your colors and then pick up the next day (they have to sleep overnight in the kiln). A friend suggested these great lighted stands and now my son and I have jellyfish night lights in our room! Would 100% recommend and plan to go back and take my other son and his girlfriend next!

Such a super nice place ! They give glass blowing classes but you have to reserve a time and day to be shown how the glass blowing process is !! It’s Amazing!! Everyone in the shop is super friendly and attentive! If we would have been staying longer I sure would have loved to have taken a class !! 👍
Devils Punchbowl State Natural Area is a fascinating location featuring a rocky beach with an collapsed sea cave, tide pools and trails. It is highly recommended to visit during low tide in order to fully access the middle of the bowl. The parking lot provides easy access, however it should be noted that the location isn't accessible from the view point one. While it's a great place to visit, caution should be exercised with timing as well as adhering to signage prohibiting drone usage.
I'm glad we stopped here on our way out of Newport! It was a really cool view with a nice little park area attached. Lots of outdoor seating, some cute shops nearby, lots of easy access parking, and seems to be a surfing hotspot too. Would recommend seeing this natural wonder.

Really cool place. Definitely go DURING LOW TIDE. Find out what time the tide will be decently low as that will really be the only time you can fully access the middle of the bowl. Its a fast easy walk from the parking lot, however you don't access it from the view point one. It's a little farther north on the beach. Awesome place just be careful with your timing.

Free roadside attraction. parking can be crowded for an RV on the weekend. Fairly easy in and out during the week. Check the tide table and go at high tide for the best show.
🍦 Friendliest candy shop, and least expensive ice cream on the Coast right near the parking lot.
Also super friendly surf 🏄♂️ and skateboard 🛹 shop at the same location. 🌊

So much to see and explore!! The lookout area is nice and gives a beautiful view view , there is also beach access on both side streets . However the heavy rains have destroyed the right trail so use caution if you have mobility issues, you will need to climb at the trail end. There are tide pools full of starfish, clams, etc. Definitely worth the work to get down to the beach, but wear appropriate shoes.

It's pretty spectacular HOWEVER you can not get to the punch bowl or the cool rock structures (legally/ethically/respectfully) as seen in a lot of the pics. There is a beach you can get down to that is pretty cool but not places like the rocks.

One of those places where I want to give a one star rating so that other people don't blow this place up and show up to have parties and get this area restricted to the public.
Great location to check out.
Wish they'd change the name.
Don't fly drones here tho 😉 the sign says not to, I promise I won't bring one next time 🤞👍

Nice view point from the top. Lots of dogs. LOTS of narrow stairs to get down to the beach to go into the bowl. The water was deep when we got there so sadly couldn't go over. Couldn't get to the other path supposedly able to access to get into it. No directions at all how to get to the beach or to get down into the bowl either. The beach was super nice even if very windy. Bathrooms at top of stairs were decent. On the beach many of the dogs were off leash.

This is my wife's favorite spot to watch the ocean. It is very mesmerizing watching the waves churn in and out of the huge bowl carved out of the Cliffside. There are also several shops here, including a Mo's Restaurant and a surf shop. You can't surf the punchbowl, but the beach just to the south is a great spot, and there are usually a few dozen surfer types hanging out in the water or on the beach. This is definitely a great place to hang out.

It's an absolute must-see for nature enthusiasts. The hike to the Punchbowl is a journey through diverse landscapes, ending in a jaw-dropping view of the awe-inspiring bowl-shaped rock formation sculpted by the Pacific's relentless waves. Accessible trails, informative exhibits, and captivating photo opportunities make this a perfect destination for all. Experience the raw power of nature in this coastal wonderland - a true gem of the Pacific Northwest.

This was our favorite place to visit while in Newport! We visited twice. Try to visit during low tide if you can. It is a tough hike down (part of the path at the bottom to the beach was washed away in the last year). Be careful while hiking along the rocks on the beach to avoid stepping on any animals. The rocks are very slippery in some spots. It was awesome to see live star fish and sea anemones in their native habitats inside the Punch Bowl. We returned during high tide to show to the kids how full of water it got and to illustrate why it is so important to be aware of the tides while hiking and exploring by the ocean.

We made our 2nd stop here this past September, our first was in June 2021. Definitely worth the stop for a second look. Absolutely beautiful and spectacular! Spotted some whales and their spouts a bit offshore to the north. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area.

A unique natural formation. Kind of stunning to see up close. Actually reminds me of back home. An inviting attraction but don’t. You need skills and maybe luck too so much better to enjoy from the tourist areas. Other stunning views os the coastline too.

This is a quick stop and a very short, easy walk to the viewing areas. We went on a weekday, so there weren't a ton of people. Beautiful stop. Watch your step for fencing sticking out by your ankles and know that they are doing some construction on it at the time of this posting.

The Devil's Punchbowl is an incredible place. We were able to park near the top but space is limited and anything larger than a truck would have a hard time turning around or parking. More parking is below the hill on C Ave. There are no fees to visit. We were able to see a couple whales breaking the surface while walking along the path. The wind was powerful but that's expected when you are on top of the cliff. There is also beach access on either side of the natural area and both are within walking distance. Check the tide tables to experience different views. High tide will bring unique water surge into the punchbowl. Low tide will allow exploration of the caves below. After our walk through we stopped at a small ice cream shop nearby. Perfect family adventure.

The overlook is more of a stop over. It’s a very nice view here but it’s not very big. We saw a lot of surfers but we didn’t make it to the beach. It looked like the tide was in already so we couldn’t go into the actual bowl. But I could see how nice watching the sunset is from here. You should definitely check this place out! Very
Nice!

Nye Beach is both a beach and a little neighborhood in Newport with several cute shops, restaurants, and bars. The beach itself is nice, but access isn't as easy as, say, the longer and flatter beach in Lincoln City because of a lack of parking at the end of several small, narrow streets. But if you're staying in the area, the beach is very nice (and a little quieter than some others).

The area was the first

A lot of little shops with very intersting stuff! Several restaurants to go to, but my favorite part of my trip of course was the beautiful beach! Crystal clear water over mesmorizing ripples in the sand!! Super calming and a good way to forget your troubles and enjoy the beauty of the Oregon Coast.
Daniel Lopez — Google review
A great beach, with restaurants and shops very close. When the sand is wet, a power wheelchair can navigate out to the water without the need for a special chair or a Mobi mat. However, the sand was in piles around the entrance, so an investment in a Mobi mat would be a wise investment for the community.

Picturesque and then some. Unlike many of the beaches which are flat, and unremarkable, this beach is nearly as perfect as Neskowin's or Pacific City's. There was one dog off leash, but with respectful owners in terms of space. Don't get trapped out on the rocks when the tide comes in!

The Newport Historic Bayfront is a vibrant and lively area located along the picturesque shores of Yaquina Bay. It offers an array of activities, including gift shops, art galleries, seafood restaurants, and resident sea lions. This district is home to popular attractions such as the Ripleys Museum and Pacific Maritime Heritage Center. Visitors can also enjoy exploring the Undersea Gardens or strolling through the bustling Bay Boulevard filled with souvenir shops and eateries serving up delectable seafood dishes.
We love watching sea lions here in August, stopping in all the unique shops and having coffee and ice cream along the bay front.

Weird. You can walk on the board walk part way and then you're walking behind operating fishing equipment. There is a bit of food and little shops, but I was expecting something different. It's short, awkward and difficult to maneuver if you just wanted to walk the water/marina boardwalk. The best part is the stretch of murals and marina views.

This place has such an amazing collection of shops and restaurants, am somewhat disappointed I didn't get to go to all of them. Has something I've never seen anywhere else: a dock surrounded by barking sea lions at all hours of the day. Was insanely cute and fascinating. Many of the buildings also have beautiful murals painted on the sides, all marine life themed. The view of the water, pier, and bridge is stunning from here, and you get to see all of the ships and things coming by less than a stone's throw away

Yesterday I went to the Mark Hatfield OSU Marine Science Center in Newport, Oregon, now I have been here several times in the past but haven't been back since the COVID-19 Pandemic back in 2020, and I think now they just finally reopened to the general public, like after the pandemic you had to make reservations to come to visit this place and there wasn't an admission charge except you can make donations towards the Science Center at the time. Now they're open to the public again, and you don't have to make reservations you could pay at the door which is only five bucks and I think it's worth it. It's a small, little Museum but it's got some interesting stuff. They have a Giant Pacific Octopus on display and several species of fish native to our Pacific Ocean like Rockfish plus several exhibits dealing with the environment and the geography of our area here on the Oregon coast. One of the coolest displays is the tsunami exhibit, you can play with a machine that makes its own tsunamis and you can build a Lego house and use a Lego figure and then turn around and unleash the tsunami on those Legos. In my honest opinion if you're in the Newport area and you want to find something to do this would be a fun little spot to take the family too. Pretty much there's something for everyone, and there's a nice little Estuary Trail that goes around the Marine Science Center if you decide you want to go on a little walk that gives you a great view of Yaquina Bay!!

Great for kids and adults! This is definitely geared towards older kids (probably best for 6+) but my 4yo enjoyed himself. There was a lot to read and learn - you could definitely spend a few hours here. They have exhibits about NOAA, fisheries, tsunami-proof architecture, and so, so much more. It's a unique place and not your typical science center or aquarium so definitely worth a visit! I'm glad we skipped the pricey Aquarium and opted to go here instead. We biked here from South Beach State Park and it was a very kid-friendly ride 🚲

Amazing indoor activity for kids; it’s perfect for a rainy day at the coast. Right now you need to make reservations online, and there is a $3 fee per person (kids younger than 5 are free). There are so many activities including touch pool with starfish and sea anemones, wave experiments, and so many fish aquariums to see. Highly worth it!

Nice little science center with some hands on learning for kids and adults. This place was only $5 a person and not insanely busy like the aquarium was. Staff was friendly and all the exhibits were working when we visited. It has some of the same stuff as the aquarium but on a smaller scale. The kids liked the ship simulator and it was nice they could access the touch tank without so many kids shoving in.

Fantastic experience with this place. My son is 14 and he enjoyed all of the exhibits. The volunteer at the touch tank was graciously patient with my child who thinks he knows it all. This wonderful gentleman listened to my son and then helped him figure out what the errors were in his thinking. My son couldn't stop talking about the new things he learned. All of the interactive stations captured his attention, but he really enjoyed the navigation training. Highly recommend stopping here and spending time.

type of gear used to
harvest them.
You will also learn about
commercial oyster, and
crustacean harvesting
Their is an augmented reality

We LOVE this place!!!! 20 bucks for our whole family and we spend a couple of hours learning about tsunamis, wave energy, oysters, rockfish and all sorts of marine life. The octopus was amazing and the kids loved the touch pools with anemones, urchins, starfish and a sea cucumber. The staff/volunteers are super friendly and helpful, they love what they do and it's evident in their knowledge and demeanor. It's all very interactive and hi-tech. Our favorite is the geology sandbox, the coolest invention ever! We easily spent 30 minutes just at that table. I highly recommend we go every summer - worth the detour!
Yaquina Bay State Recreation Site is a beautiful place to visit with its lighthouse, tide pools, and forests. The lighthouse is unique because it has living quarters attached to it, and the park offers visitors many different activities to enjoy.

This morning was cool and foggy. I very much enjoy the views with the fog. The Yaquina Bay Bridge is just 1/4 walk up the street so I added a photos of the bridge as well. Lots of beach walking available also. Take at least an hour to enjoy the various sites here.

Tough to beat the view of the bay bridge and the beach. Area is clean including the picnic area and bathrooms. The lighthouse history is very interesting. Make the stop, you will like it.

Amazing stop. Fantastic in the fact you can go inside, the original items inside are in pristine condition, the view is fantastic, there are bathrooms in the back, and picnic tables everywhere. It’s free to park and look inside. We went to 3 lighthouses on the coast and this was our favorite. Breathtaking.
There are quite a few stairs and a sloped path to get to the top, so it not wheelchair/disability friendly and might be difficult for the elderly.

This lighthouse was in operation for three short years to help ships find the Yaquina River-access to timber and oysters. A nice three story, free, tour. One room plays a decent video fir your information. Nice historic furniture and amazing views. You can’t get up to the top. It’s a ladder and is blocked, but it’s okay. You get a clear sense of hue a family of nine lived here in the early 1870s.

Beautiful setting. On the day we went, we couldn't go inside the lighthouse. But the tide pools down below are absolutely amazing. We spent the majority of our time down here. The have a nice dog area off the main parking area, so you can bring pups if you want, but not down to the tide pool area. Great for kids and adults alike. Plenty of parking.

A beautiful experience for myself and my husband, and such beauty all around us. I hope for the two of us to come back soon.

The lighthouse area was very clean and accessible via stairs from the parking lot. Beautiful old building.
This beautiful steel and concrete bridge spans Yaquina Bay in Newport, Oregon. It's designed by Conde McCullogh and is a stunning Art Deco and Gothic masterpiece. It's one of the iconic attractions in the city and is really worth a visit if you're ever in the area.
This bridge is so gorgeous, it's really worth a trip to Newport just to see it and drive over it. It may sound cliche, but they really don't make them like they used to.

Located in Newport Oregon the Yaquina Bay Bridge from the 1930’s. I believe it is a Landmark. It makes for some stunning views from the bridge and from the land. Made of Good Old Strong American Steel way back in the 30’s in an Arch to support loads. Below it is the Yaquina Shellfish Preserve.

Bridge is looking nice. Taking along time to upgrade. Will look so much better when it gets all done. So cool to watch the ships come in & out of the Port. Beautiful Oregon.

This bridge is so beautiful, I make a point to walk up every time I'm in Newport. There's parking and beautiful stairs conveniently tucked beneath the bridge and narrow sidewalks on both sides of the bridge. And, no sketchy people under! Score!
The photo opportunities are endless, I could have spent hours up here with a good camera. I would not suggest bringing small kids onto the bridge, as the sidewalks are too narrow to be able to walk side by side and hold hands. Well behaved dogs might be okay, but cars go pretty quick and there is little to no barrier between the sidewalk and the road.

The Yaquina Bay Bridge was pretty awesome to go across.
Not as nerve-wrecking as the Astoria-Megler Bridge about 3 1/2 hours to the north.

Beautiful bridge, try to capture it from all angles.

We braved the walk over and back one early October morning. The sidewalks are narrow and a little scarey but that didn't bother us. Ones you get to the top the views are nothing short of absolutely flippin amazing! We were blessed with a clear and sunny sky and i imagine a typical foggy or rainy day would not be as pretty (ok, it would suck...). We recommend going accross on one side and back on the other to get the most of the views. Wear a coat or a jacket or whatever. Gloves too. It gets cold and windy up there!

A good bridge walk. We parked on the south end and made our way from there. Took this photo from down on the south beach jetty road.
The Oregon Coast Aquarium is a renowned 23-acre facility showcasing northwestern birds and fish, along with seals, sea lions, jellyfish, and a deepwater tank. Accredited as one of the country's top aquariums by major publications such as Coastal Living magazine and USA Today, it boasts over ten exhibits that include the largest seabird aviary exhibit in America and Passages of the Deep where Keiko, from Free Willy, once lived.
Our family had a great time at the aquarium! There are a few animal exhibits not open. We watched the sealions get fed and we all loved the tunnel of fish and sharks! There is a hands-on tide pool area where you get to touch sea creatures and learn more about them. It was over $100 for 6 of us. It was a fun time!

Very cute aquarium!! A couple of things were closed for construction or because of the pandemic, but still lots to see and a fun time! A little difficult in the outside parts if you use a mobility device, but still lots of things to see indoors. Very large gift shop too! Also the fossil exhibit that is currently there is so fun and informative.

A very nice place to enjoy the morning with the kids. My son enjoyed watching the seals and sea lions swim laps and play by the observation windows. There is also a great playground to help burn off some energy. I would suggest getting a spot early for any of the feedings or you're going to miss out. It didn't seem like there were too many people in the park but the crowd appeared from nowhere at feeding time. A big gift shop with something for everyone. Great fun.

Perfect place to spend the day with family. The exhibits inside are better than expected. I found there be a lot of information on the wildlife and aquatics the seals and other animals were quite adorable what we love. The most was the aquarium with the sharks that you could walk through it was very cool definitely worth the money not as big as a zoo perhaps but still it’s informative and you could spend a good amount of the day there.

I never pass up the chance to go to a new aquarium. We were in town for our wedding, and weren't sure if we wanted to go on one of our last days here or just hang out. I'm so glad we did. The shark tunnel was seriously lacking. Basically looked like a concrete box. Terrible lighting, made it very hard to see anything. The rest of the exhibits were beautiful. So vibrant and well decorated, so many different species. I could have spent hours at the touch pool, a great variety of things to interact with. The staff at the pools were friendly and knowledgeable. The landscape of the property is lovely, it's a great immersive experience. The gift shop was mostly well priced, with some overly expensive items here and there. Compared to my local aquarium, their prices were impressive!
We also had lunch at Jellyfish Cafe. The prices were good, and not overpriced compared to other places in the area. We all got the chicken strips. They were nice and crispy, but the fries were definitely the star of the show. They were so good and nicely seasoned. We were stuffed but couldn't seem to leave any on our plate!Food came out quickly. We loved sitting next to the moon jellyfish tank.

My rating is based solely on experience as I interacted very little with staff. Unfortunately this aquarium did not live up to our expectations. For the price we paid I assumed there would be more to see. We had better luck at the waterfront in Newport. If you want an entertaining and close encounter with marine life head there. The best part of the aquarium is the shark tunnel.

It's under construction but still amazing. Dress warmly as half of it is outside. And you want to go outside to see the amazing under water tunnel exhibits with sharks! Buy a membership and then plan to visit more than 2 times to get your monies worth... plus they have a reciprocal membership agreement with many museums in Portland and Salem.

My wife and I went to the aquarium, and it was really neat! The aquarium was very well layed out, had just the right amount of stuff to see, and really fun to walk through. I recommend going if you haven't yet. The tunnels you walk through that are underground are pretty neat 👌!! It just really neat to see all the different marine life that is out in the ocean 😀. The lady that gave us our tickets was really friendly.

Had a fantastic time here with my daughterand her friend! So many fun attractions and animals. The bathrooms, tanks, and walkways are all so clean. Animals were visible and well taken care of. We loved every exhibit and recommended it to anyone and in my opinion it's worth the money. This place is great for anyone especially families too, lots of areas for kids to play in.

Oregon Coast Aquarium nestled along the stunning Pacific shoreline, offered my toddlers an amazing experience. They explored interactive exhibits that brought the coastal ecosystem to life, featuring a diverse array of sea creatures, from colorful tide pool inhabitants to majestic sharks. They loved the enchanting underwater tunnels providing a 360-degree view of the ocean realm. With a strong emphasis on marine conservation and education, the Oregon Coast Aquarium provided a memorable and educational experience for visitors of all ages. I loved the curated book collection for kids to read, along with the ones displayed for purchase. My kids felt that their favorite book, “Big Beautiful Ocean,” was brought to life.
My toddlers get excited when they see something from picture books in reality.

I will not lie, even with all the construction going on, we DID have so much fun. We came all the way from Sacramento, CA family of 30 people and we had adults had fun🥰 kids had fun, didn't want to leave. Thank you for all your work at this place, we enjoyed everything 💜
P.S BATHROOMS 🚻 ARE CLEAN 😊

Truly loved coming here again with my wife for our anniversary. One thing that was very fun and with the extra money was going behind the scenes to pet some jellyfish and learn more about them. If you love jellyfish you need to take the opportunity and do it.
I love this place and am so happy it's so nearby

Very fun experience with lots of opportunities to learn about marine life and ecology. The friendly volunteer staff are very knowledgeable and willing to provide educational answers to most questions. The wide variety of critters to see will also keep kids entertained (Be sure to take them to the touch pool!). The food is good. The gift shop has a great selection too.

Had an amazing time with my family! I also had forgotten my hydro flask and live in Portland, they were so nice and mailed it with care! <3 I love this aquarium! Can’t wait for the remodeling! It’s already super amazing and fun! :)

I don't know if I was unlucky but we waited a few hours in line and then ended up in a flood of people with limited space. I have hypersensitivity and get extremely overstimulated when lots of people are in one place with so much noise and movement, making it sort of difficult. From what I was able to see was fun and I really like seeing educators discuss poaching/over hunting and its effects on wildlife populations. There were lots of skulls and non aquatic animal information which was exciting for someone obsessed with zoology to be able to have such diverse information. The fauna swimming around were very unique and beautiful; the goofier looking ones really caught my attention, I love silly little critters.

A lovely aquarium and great for kids. I'd rate it 4.5 stars. It's easy to get lost in the rock formations. I think I spent a good chunk of my visit double backing trying to figure out if I missed something, and in the end coming out the wrong way. The glass tunnels are alot of fun and the highlight, according to everyone's photos. Having grown up with the Monterey Bay Aquarium, I'm a bit partial, but this is nice.
There is alot to look at, but even if you take your time it's over quickly. Currently a good chunk is under restoration, so you pay for the whole thing but see about 1/2 to 1/3 the park right now, bummer.
Last but not least, since there are alot of big exhibits, it's easy to miss the aquariums littlest friends.

Amazing aquarium for the whole family!
Lots of parking and ticket staff process you into Aquarium quickly.
Multiple great indoor and outdoor exhibits, filled with many staff and volunteers.
Indoor highlights are the touch and feel tanks and definitely the walk through tunnels, especially the shark area!
Outdoor highlights are the sea lion, sea otter, and the aviary. All are great!
There is also an expansive playground area for a wide age range of kids in the outdoor portion.
Multiple delicious food options suitable for the whole family. Plus a large gift shop.
Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this world-class Aquarium! Must visit!

We had a good time. Very interesting, informative, with a lot of visual activity. Even has a playground for the little ones. Walk inside and outside and underside of the aquarium. Very good activity for adults and children. A surprisingly interesting gift-shop!

This aquarium has a cafe and a jellyfish exhibit upon entry to the aquarium. The aquarium is not inside, but has outside walking paths to the exhibits. Some of the exhibits are puffins, and passages of the deep which has like an entire eco-system including sharks, schools of fish, stingrays, etc.
Overall I would come here again.

Definitely spend the money and take the family! The park is amazing everything is pretty much outside so dress accordingly to weather, but don't let that stop you! The walk ways all by the park are beautiful and the exhibits are amazing and interactive! Touch tanks and learning exhibits with the staff. The otter tank was being renovated when we were there so we will be back to check that out!

Incredible. We had a downright excellent day of exploring. Each exhibit is thoughtfully and beautifully presented. My favorite by far was the Coastal Life room - the displays in here are GORGEOUS. I absolutely loved the nudibranches.
