Just a wonderful and magnificent event! I felt like I was stepping back in time. The are so many food vendors, acts to watch, fun activities for kids, and shaded seating. It is so fun.

Santa was there!!!!!!
Lots of lights and blow ups in the drive through portion. Very enjoyable. Be sure to tune your radio to FM87.9 for your drive. The inside was weak with nothing really to do. The torture chamber was available but we didn’t go because it doesn’t support a Christmas theme, now does it? We did the train ride but would recommend the hay ride instead. The fumes coming off the train engine was super strong and the music/horn were not enjoyable.

It was a fun family friendly atmosphere. We had a blast. Dressed in costume and had several "fan" pics taken with us. Some thought we worked there, lol. Good food and several adult beverage locations if you enjoy those. Even bought some merch from a few of the shops they had as well.

This display will be more of an interest for smaller children. It is a drive-through scene with many inflatables vs. Christmas lights. At the end, you can park and explore stores, petting zoos and scenery (which we didn't do, so there may be an added bonus there). Castle looks cool. We felt that with all the space they have it could be so many more Christmas light scenes to display. I would recommend for the kiddos.

Great Family Fun, Well worth the entertainment. Halloween being my birthday & Anniversary. It was a great time spending All Hallows Eve there. Will return again.

I haven’t been to any other ren faires so I don’t have anything to compare it to but this is one of the most wonderful things I’ve ever done. Magic at all times around every corner! The most wonderful of vendors you’ve ever seen selling the most beautiful things you could hope for. Be prepared to spend way too much money on delicious food and beautiful wares

Went to the Ren Faire totally worth going to. My family had a blast dressing up and running around the faire ground. Best birthday ever. Spent all day there would recommend for any family. It's a place everyone will remember.

Wonderful little Renaissance festival located right here in Oklahoma. Great vendors great entertainment great food. It's a Family friendly good time. The honey booth inside the castle had some really great and unique goodies!

We went this year for my birthday. Went for a Halloween scare. It was a fantastic time. We drove up, spent the night and had a two day experience there. Haunted attractions were great. Plenty of room and plenty of vendors for food and drinks. We're planning on returning next year, or possibly at their Christmas festivities.

We really injoyed the drive through The Castle. The first part were light displays simular to Denison TX( Loy lake park) or Ardmore OK. Then you get into the Castle. It was mostly inflatables but you can't imagine how many it's amazing that they don't blow away in Oklahoma, I bet it's a challenge. Over all it was super cool and well worth a drive especially when paired with the garden of lights a couple blocks away. I believe there is also a walk through section we did not do because it was windy and cool. We went on a Monday night there were others there but there was no wait.

Great place to be! We went the Celtic Weekend and had a blast! We went to the King’s Smoker (21+), the Ceilidh (21+), and even had lunch with Queen Mary of Scots!
There are sooo many quality handmade items that you can choose from. “The Silver Tongue” is a silversmith shop that my bf and I got rings from that I absolutely love! There’s another shop call “Handcrafted by Heathens” that sell lotion candles that smell super good!
Lots of nerds that dress up on period style costumes and it’s wonderful!

The Castle of Muskogee is my families Go-To for Halloween fun AND fireworks! We’ve also drove by for the Christmas at the Castle a few times and it was awesome as well! They always have the entire village decorated and the staff is super involved and friendly. I highly recommend for a family or friends day out!

This is for a rating at Christmas time. The drive thru is a donation at the end of $5 or $10 cash. The drive thru is okay. You can then park your car. They have activities that cost. We got dinner at the food court. The burgers were good. They also serve alcohol and soda. The gift shop was fun to walk thru. You most likely will buy something. ☺️
The food at the food court ranges.
An area where you can buy kettle corn, hot cocoa, and hot cider.
I didn't get popcorn. But the cocoa and cider are $2 each. Smores kit $2 each. Feed the animals at petting zoo $5 each. Train ride $10 each. Pony rides, but I didn't look at the price. Individual igloos that are set up really cute with heat $25
Everyone who works there is very friendly. A nice environment.

Went there after having dinner. We used to live in Yukon, where there is a huge light show. It back traffic up to the interstate.
This was nice, but I think the rain we had in the last two days, loosen some things up and they were on the ground. Some light displays were off.
Once you get to the castle area, it becomes a little more lively, and they offer activities for kids.

We absolutely love the Castle of Muskogee. My daughter and I got the Fright Combo plus tickets to the Haunted Hayride. Despite the rain we attended Friday Oct 27th and Saturday October 28th and had a blast. We had some really good food, fried pickles, chili cheese fries, Medallions (deep fried oreos) and Churros, everything was great. Sadly the price was just too high on the turkey legs ($18 each) this year so we didn't get any. Overall we had alot of fun and will be coming back each next year! Thank you to everyone that makes this place so magical you guys rock! (owners, staff, actors, vendors, security)🖤🎃👻🧡☠🍂

My first and probably only visit to the castle of Muskogee. I was not impressed. Extremely long lines for mediocre attractions. Buildings in serious need of paint and repair. Boards hanging off of buildings boards missing from buildings. Light bulbs in light strings burned out all over the place. The ultimate maze was not ultimate in the least. The haunted hayride was a joke at best. The hayride drivers were driving exceedingly fast for a hayride. Not to mention that with them barreling through the entire attraction made it not scary at all. The zombie Hunt was okay. However safety glasses were extremely scratched up and we were assured by the staff that once you get inside it won't matter. Probably works out in their favor seeing how the place isn't very zombie-like and the extremely scratched safety glasses obscured the glaring flaws in their decorations. The catacombs and torture chamber were extremely boring. The one bathroom I used had two stalls three urinals and a single tiny sink. This prompted most visitors to the bathroom to not wash their hands as they left, gross! The staff we encountered were extremely friendly and very helpful. I'm sure they are overworked and underpaid. It was definitely an experience but not one that I care to repeat anytime soon.

Me and my two teenage granddaughters had so much fun! Everything that costed money was at a reasonable price! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to the Castle of Muskogee during Christmas!

First year attending the Renaissance fair and it was truly AMAZING! My only regret is that I never went before and the 2 times I was able to go this year, I got there about 2 hours before closing time. I missed out on so much! 😫 but it was still definitely worth going.
The WWII ship, the USS Batfish, is housed at this park with memorials to lost US soldiers.
It’s always a great trip to visit our Nikita try history even without it being open :)

Like super cheap enter to the museum!
Lot to see and like that kinda stuff you do not see elsewere, I give few foto as example of those unfamiliar things🙀
This sub USS Batfish was nice to see, but it needs funds to get fixup.
You can't enter in sub, but that's why ticket to museum was only 3$!
Recommened to visit there if you are close!

Given this is a volunteer organization they've come a long way since river flooding tried to steal their centerpiece. Good things are ahead for this museum.
Bob Pope — Google review
Excellent visit. The curator was very knowledgeable. Took the time to answer the questions of my 7 year old grandson with answers he could understand. Recommend it to any and all history buffs, or anyone looking to spend a couple of hours in a nice small museum.
roger weist — Google review
Great little place. You cant go on the sub becuse of the flood but its neet to see it.
Justin Douglas — Google review
Very much enjoyed. Closes at 5pm not 6. The curator (a PJ) was very nice and helpful. It was good to have a serviceman show us the memorial. Our prayers are with our men, women and their families who have and are serving our nation.
Athena Elliott — Google review
Omg I loved it but what makes me sad is the submarine it's still closed to the public but overall it was awesome definitely coming back again
pierce mayberry — Google review
Even though the boat itself is closed, the rest of the memorial is still open Friday to Sunday! There's more to see than just the Batfish, including over a dozen different artifacts ranging from torpedoes, to naval mines, to 5-inch naval guns, and more! The volunteer there was extremely friendly and was happy to answer any questions I had.
If you're visiting I recommend donating extra, as entry is only $3/person at the moment due to the submarine's closure, and they're trying to raise funds in preparation to move her to a permanent, more submarine friendly, location down the Arkansas River.
Charles W. — Google review
Very informative and interesting. Lots of original memorabilia both inside and outside to peruse. The only downside is that being in a flood plain, you cannot get onto the ship at this time as it’s not safe to. The volunteer Curator said there are federal funds allotted to secure it, but won’t happen overnight.
PS— we saw a bald eagle overhead too.
Wolf Gugler — Google review
I highly recommend visiting the Muskogee war memorial. This was our second time attending and once again it did not disappoint. For just $3 you get to enjoy the museum and view the USS Batfish amongst other large war machines. Jim is the best tour guide! His knowledge and passion are above and beyond expectations.
Ann Hatton — Google review
A charming little museum in the town where squares can definitely have a ball! The best part of this visit was James A. Erb, Jr. He is a POW survivor with an amazing story which I won't spoil, but get him to tell them to you if you visit. There was also the submarine which is currently no visitable. You still can get a good external view of it though and go out and walk around it. This place has a tribute to every U.S. submarine that has fallen with a detailed story of the ship's adventures and her crew's service for those downed during World War I. The museum itself is manageably sized with a side room featuring some hands=on exhibits. Be aware of the Friday- and Weekend- only hours! I would recommend this museum for any history buffs and military history history buffs especially.
Eric Glock — Google review
Curator/volunteer was very knowledgeable and friendly. Just a heads up, the flood of 2019 picked the sub up and moved it off it's secure spot, so you can't currently go on or in the USS Batfish sub, but there's still plenty of US sub history and memorials to all the subs on "eternal patrol".
Allen Eiken — Google review
at the time of this review there is roadwork leading up to the memorial. It wasn't open so we only drove around but it was still really cool to see. I didn't realize torpedoes were that huge. great memorial to visit if you've never seen a submarine before. the uss Batfish is at this memorial and signs guiding people to it refer to the memorial as the batfish memorial
Haikey Creek Park is a vast county park in Bixby, with picnic areas and playgrounds as well as an 18-hole championship disc golf course. It's also home to sport courts for football, soccer, and tennis, softball fields, and baseball diamonds.
It's a really good park if you just wanna kick back and relax. You can play Frisbee Golf. The park is super clean well maintained and kept up. Pretty sunsets with great views

Very pretty. Nice hiking. Lots of birds and animals to see. Some water features that you could walk down to. Overall it was a very enjoyable day I had at this area. Saw some people with dogs so you can walk them there. And there are some people picnicking by the creek.
Jonathan Yang (Jo-Nathan) — Google review
We were looking for PickleBall courts and found these. They were nice and clean. Other players were friendly and didn’t get bothered if the ball accidentally entered their court.
Kristi A — Google review
Very nice park; several areas worth at least two separate playground, lots of pavilions, a Disc Golf Course, walking trails, etc. Absolutely the cleanest and best smelling restroom I have ever seen in a public park.
Shelley Chandler — Google review
Very beautiful walk area. Great disc golf. With a nature area. People get really offended at this park if you have a large dog off leash. Small dogs who cares. But my Great Danes seem to offend Karen’s. Work out area play ground covered eating area ball fields it’s got it all along with a creek my Danes love
Kelley Matson — Google review
Bathrooms were rather lacking, the fields are 300 ft, and the dugouts have no shade. However, the staff is friendly, it's a beautiful spot, and plenty of trees.
Faith Branstetter — Google review
The cleanest, most well maintained park in Tulsa. The perfect place to go to escape into nature. The staff are friendly and hard working. We appreciate all that they do, even working Fathers day of 2023 to keep the park beautiful and safe.
Thank you guys!

Beautifully-maintained park. Great work BA! Visitors are even conscientious and respect rules and expectations of a public place. Tulsa and Bixby Parks could learn a ton emulating this municipal gem.

We had a really great time over here at the park, they have 2 different playgrounds, park is roomy enough for the kids to play soccer. Park was clean. I personally loved the scenic view. We will definitely be back.

This place has a great walking path. It is very fine chat (cinder?) and I find it very easy on the feet. I go out of my way to walk at this park. It also seems hugely popular for frisbee golf and dog walking.

I got married here 14th of October 2022. Bestest day of my life. Today is my first day back. Sitting under the same tree we married at. He’s left me now. (Not dead) I still love him endlessly. I’m talking to him as if he’s in the tree. This park will forever hold a place in my heart !
Boating, golfing, horeseback riding & more at an expansive lake & forested area.
Beautiful park that has shelters, swim beach, bike trail, stables, hiking trails, nature center, lodge, golf course, and several campground. It is HUGE! We only hiked the Fitness trail (.6 Mile), and we loved it. It was an easy hike with beautiful scene. I wish we had more time to hike other trails ( total trail length: 10 Mi)! The Three Forks Nature Center is rich in history. For people who love animals, it is a great place to spend time and learn more about the animals that they are taking care of here. Playful Red fox and super cute otter stole my heart. They were super cuteeeee.

Sequoyah State Park is one of the best in Oklahoma. I come back time and time again and I'm impressed each time. It's the perfect place for a quick stop to enjoy nature and scenery, to take a weekend camping trip, or spend longer at the lodge or one of the cabins. Park staff is friendly, and the campsites are clean and quiet. There's never a bad view and there's something for everyone. It's the state park I recommend to anyone who asks.

We had the best time camping at the Sequoyah State Park - Seminole campground. The camp host was fantastic! Very friendly and helpful! He was able to call the dear right up to the campsites. He says, "come here girls" and they cautiously walk right up. Will definitely stay here again! Very clean, great for the family...lots of hiking trails. A+++++

What a beautiful place! Hiked 4 of the trails. All were well marked, clear, and had lots to see. So many deer here! This state park is very suitable for families. Lots of activities!

Impromptu camping trip with the family and pup. It was a lot of fun. The hiking trail is paved so it was nice not having to worry about the kids tripping. The water was freezing but we played in the sand. Cute nature center where they have a beaver, coyotes, fox and owl. The downfall is they require you to reserve your camping spot beforehand. I did and when I got there the campsite I picked was rocky and on a slope. The picture they provided was not helpful. Which is not ideal when sleeping in a tent. They also do not allow you to swap campsites. You will have to pay full price for another spot.
Bethany — Google review
We stayed in a cabin by the lake and loved it. We walked the trails, went to the nature center, swam, and played on the playground. We had plenty to keep us busy.
There were lots of ants in the cabin, which was frustrating. The restaurant was terrible.
Overall we enjoyed our stay

The Choctaw area is very nice for RV camping - concrete pads, full hookups, and fun playground for the kids. Beach/swimming area is close- nice walk. Trailheads are close.
Best part for us was the Nature Center. Live animals! One employee was superb and had lots of information about the animals. (She was a young assistant with a cool tattoo of a storm trooper with flowers.). She fed the snakes and made learning fun. Kids loved her!!! Do not miss the Nature Center - it's the best!!!!

Love it here. Been coming to this park for 35+ years.

This is the nicest park we have visited. From their quant hotel to their tucked in cabins. There are plenty of things to enjoy at this park. We were fortunate enough to offer our karaoke services for the evening for the Oklahoma Rural Water Association conference and everyone had a blast. The setting location and the people were awesome. Best venue so far!
Keith Long — Google review
It is a beautiful place to visit, picnic tables playground equipment volleyball courts horseback riding golf course walking trails and much more. They have rooms available inside the lodge and cabins for rent that are close to the lake. The reason that I'm giving it four stars instead of 5 is because of the high prices of accommodations, everything else is within reason and a lot more affordable. They are in my opinion about $50 per night higher than what they should be. At dusk and Dawn, you are likely to see deer around the stables, golf course and in the woods as you drive through the winding roads to or from the lodge. It is really worth a visit, I hope that you enjoy yours too.
The Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium is an amazing place that showcases Tulsas rich aerospace heritage. The museum has displays of vintage airplanes, interactive exhibits, and a state-of-the-art planetarium. There are also military and child friendly locations that offer discounts on admission.
Great local air and space museum! The planetarium is a hidden jewel as well and surprised how many people aren't even aware we have one!
The museum has great traveling exhibits and something new multiple times a year. Definitely worth a visit!

A quaint museum with friendly and knowledgeable staff at an affordable price. There are a lot of objects to view within the small museum, many photo ops for the family and/or just the kids. It wasn't very busy during morning hours, we paid for the exhibit and the planetarium star show. The exhibit was better, but the show was a nice way to kill time. Though a little outdated, and sometimes moved a bit too fast (making my kiddos and I a little queasy) it was still nice imagery. Nice little stop for passerby's.

What a cool place to stop in and learn and see a glimpse into the air history of Tulsa international airport. The guys working the museum were incredibly helpful and more than willing to give you a tour of the place. The exhibits were in excellent condition and the place was clean. Being able to get up close to the F-14, the space exhibits, and the Huey outside were neat to see and experience. If you are looking for a spot to stop at in Tulsa, I would highly reccomend adding this to your travel stop.

Worth a visit in the Tulsa area. It's a bit small for what I'm used to but there are several planes and a number of interactive displays for the kids. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. I did both the museum and planetarium. The planetarium is unique in that you see a movie projected onto a dome--almost like an iMax. However, the movie I happened to see was nothing of the quality of an iMax movie, so I ended up disappointed. In the main museum, I am very glad they had a replica of the beautiful art deco facade of the Tulsa Airport. That was really cool.

Bryan made the planetarium. His voice was articulate and not too fast. Larry also was super friendly, helpful and funny. I would recommend this to anybody and any family wanting to find something fun to do in tulsa.
Phillip Harrington — Google review
Was just okay! Not worth the price of admission. 58 dollars for 3 people including the planetarium seems a little high. To much crammed in a small space, and some of the exhibits were used for storage for other things. Good place for a road trip if u have something else to do.

9/30/2023 - Absolutely a 100 percent experience on this day. We came here this warm sunny afternoon so my companion could tick off his number one item on his bucket list and fly in a P-51 Mustang, "Gunfighter" that was available at this air base on his birthday. The pilots were very personable and complete professionals. Experience of a lifetime. Highly recommended for airplane enthusiasts. Cockpit tours of other war planes are also available for $20.
The museum has some interesting items of note in terms of aviation history from innovative engines to flight simulators. The planetarium has impressive film footage to view with alternating shows throughout the day. "Destination Mars: The Final Frontier" and "Dream to Fly" were showcased during our visit. Tickets are $11.
We enjoyed the "Bombers, Brew and BBQ" event and live music provided by "Midlife Crisis" that concluded the evening. Thanks to the band for letting my partner sing a song on stage for more birthday fun.

Great air museum in Tulsa, right across from the Tulsa zoo so can have a nice day out of the house.
From time to time they will have different traveling exhibits that are well worth checking out. The latest one I witnessed was the B-29 "Doc" that we were able to take a tour through.
They also have a planetarium that you can visit whether you tour the museum or not.

As a local, I can't help but sing praises for our beloved air and space museum. It's a treasure trove of interactive exhibits and thrilling games, perfect for all ages. From marveling at the array of historical planes to exploring the latest additions, there's always something new to discover. The museum's vibrant energy is matched only by its fantastic gift shop, offering unique souvenirs to commemorate every visit. It's clear this gem deserves more recognition for the sheer awesomeness it brings to our community.

I had a couple hours at KTUL and always looking for a museum and this was aviation based, so right up my alley. Glad I stopped over, a blue star museum, veteran friendly. A small but mighty museum with a great staff of volunteers. Also caught a show in the planetarium. Wish I had time for all of them. If you’re into aviation and in Tulsa, give it a go. I highly recommend it.

Such a neat experience, I was like a kid in a candy shop! So much to, not only see, but to experience. The staff was friendly & the museum itself did not disappoint, it actually exceeded my expectations. The planetarium was an awesome experience as well. Note - the planetarium was about the history of flight, not about the universe or space, but still very amazing to watch!

The Tulsa Zoo is one of the largest and most popular zoos in the U.S., and it's perfect for all ages. It has a huge variety of animals, including African lions, Australian kangaroos, South American jaguars and Malayan tigers. The zoo also has a Safari Train, which riders can ride around the park. There are also various exhibits that visitors can explore, such as an underwater viewing station that invites guests to view the playful creatures from below.
We LOVED the zoo so much last weekend that we bought the year membership so we can keep going this summer! I personally hadn't been in years I think my oldest was 4 part time we'd gone & he about to be 8 so several years & so much had changed! They've added several exhibits, upgraded the playground, added restaurants & a family area for feeding young ones, changing them, or just a quiet place to catch your bearings from all the activity! The animals were very active when we went, chimpanzees & sea lions really put on a show for us!! They're opening the new Zoorassic World exhibit this weekend (we got a small sneak peak see pics) & we are all so excited to go see it! It will be open until September so make sure to see it if you go in the next few months! I had so much fun I felt like a little kid again, my son can't wait to go back, & we've decided to have his little brothers Wild One party there in July!! Highly recommend the Tulsa Zoo if you get the chance!

It was my first time visiting Tulsa Zoo & I would definitely recommend it.
We visited on a Sunday and arrived about 11 am.
The wait time to purchase tickets at the gate was a bit long. We purchased the majority our tickets online, but we needed to purchase 4 more at the gate. Our wait time to purchase tickets at the gate was about 15-20 minutes.
The line for members & online tickets moves much faster!
We enjoyed all the exhibits & park...especially the Dinosaur Exhibit!
The Dinosaur Exhibit is a temporary exhibit through the end of summer 2022. There is an additional cost to enter.
My only reason for 4 star review is restroom cleanliness. I'm happy they take such good care of the animals, exhibits, habitats and grounds but the restrooms need more frequent cleaning.
Overall...great zoo to visit!

This Zoo is such a nice place to visit. It brings me my childhood memories. I also like that they have a trail of different in-house themed enclosures for desert, sea, rainforest, and tundra environments. Though it is still best for animals to be in their natural habitat, the animals here look healthy and well attended.

I have loved the Tulsa Zoo for years. The Wild Kingdom is an excellent addition. This was our first time experiencing it. Also, the zoo is super child friendly! They have playgrounds that are better than city park play grounds! Finally, the accessibility ♿️ of the park is tremendous. The photos are of two of the bathrooms we saw. Tremendous job!

This is a great Zoo for the size of the city and community it is in. The facility always keeps getting expanded and refreshed and is the perfect place for families and kids for spending the afternoon or longer. It is well organized and maintained and the exhibits are informative and interesting for all age groups. I have been an occasional out of State visitor when visiting the area over many years, but going to this Zoo with kids and other family members is always a fun and relaxing experience. There is also a little train that goes around, adding to the enjoyment and mobility around the place. Well worth the visit.

We visited the zoo during Spring Break 2024 and it was nice. They had a picnic area and tables to enjoy a preplanned picnic lunch. To add on to the beauty of the zoo right by one of several picnic locations featured a large play park for the older kids on one side and a smaller area for the little children that enabled the adults to chat at the tables while still being able to keep an eye on the kiddos. This extra feature prompted me to purchase seasonal passes because a trip to the play park with a picnic is a helpful go-to outing during the summer season. The zoo also had refreshment stands throughout that featured cold drinks and slushes as well as beer on tap! They were featuring the Life-Sized Bug Museum and that was a pleasurable experience. Hearing the natural sound of each insect was very educational and fun for myself as well as my grandchildren! The rain forests climate change was surprising and interesting. They had several walk through buildings featuring monkeys, birds, fish, different tiny animals etc. I thought the sloth particularly interesting as I found out that it sleeps 20+ hours a day, wow👀! Riding the train around the entire zoo provided the perfect scenery of the totality of the zoo as well as offering tiny feet a much needed break. This was wholesome family-fun for everyone. The children feel asleep on the drive home within the first 5 minutes of the car ride. Gather the fam, pack a picnic lunch, remember your sun screen and refillable water bottles and set out on a guaranteed day filled with fun, learning, surprises & exploration!

Quiet a nice zoo. Been to many across the U.S. and this is a favorite. Our visit was over Thanksgiving week so the zoo had already switched over to it's winter displaying of animals. Some were inside and not able to be seen outside but it didn't effect the experience. This zoo is laid out extremely well. The course you follow wound through so many interesting sights that it didn't seem long or tiring, even for an old man like me. My two grandsons, ages 8 and 3, had a blast. There is a very good and fairly large playground near the middle of the journey so adults can sit and rest while the kidos burn off energy. Great idea. Price was right. Not too crowded. Weather was great, especially for late November, and I was with some people I dearly love. Very great experience.

My family loves the Tulsa zoo! We have the annual membership and it is well worth the price. We go monthly and most time every other week. It’s become our favorite family tradition! My daughter loves seeing the moneys and goats. The updated playground can keep her entertained for hours, if we let her stay that long. The staff is always so nice and welcoming to us and every guest. The animals seem very content, happy, and well taken care of. I recommend the Tulsa Zoo to everyone who visit Tulsa and to anyone in the area with children the membership is worth it!

My wife and I loved our visit. There is a wide variety of animals to see. Make sure to look out for non-caged native creatures also. Keep an eye out for "Easter eggs", hint: look for the wood carved owl sitting up in a tree near a food court. The Train ride is inexpensive so make sure to take a ride. We can't wait to go back!

The zoo is always a great time. The landscaping is really nice. The recent updates to the animal enclosures are so natural and spacious. Certain times of day, however, the glass is impossible to see through due to it being so reflective. It is great to check your hairdo, but disappointing when you know the animal is so close.
I am also disappointed in the train ride from the sea lions to the entrance. If you love large a/c units and warehouses, you will find it very educational. It would be nice to not be charged for that half of the train ride.
We have family passes, which I highly recommend if you’re going to visit a few times a year.

Beautiful day! Reasonable cost for entry. Sad Red Pandas weren't out on display yet, but hopefully soon. The animals that were out were beautiful and fun! Had a great day! Cannot wait to go back!

I had not been to the Tulsa Zoo in years so my family and I went! We had such a a great time! They had half price admission for the whole month of February!! What a great deal for non Zoo Club Members! They have changed so many things! I am super excited for the next elephant exhibit being build!! Also the Tiger Exhibit was awesome!! Can't wait to come back next time!!

Cleanest zoo I've seen yet I think. My daughter loved it. They have a really big playground area for them to play and the exhibits are actually out and about. They have nice statues for u to take pics of the kids too

Nice large Zoo with a ton of exhibits. Cute little train does a loop around, and can catch it halfway if your're tired and need a lift back to the front. It drops you off right by the carousel. Plenty of cool indoor exhibits as well. Also a petting "children's zoo" and playground for the kiddos. Overall a nice place to spend a few hours.

This was actually a little sad for me. The very first thing we saw were the chimpanzees. They were laying around on the higher planks so it was difficult to see them. They weren't asleep, they were just laying there. One was munching and getting some water and seemed just fine but the other two looked sad. I visited all the other enclosures and other than maybe the bear who stayed in it's cave or the tiger that laid in the shade a few feet from a pool, everyone seemed pretty happy and cared for, but those chimps make me sad. I hope they're doing things to ensure the happiness of the animals there. It was pretty clean and the employees were helpful. The elephants were awesome and there's supposed to be more elephants coming. Everything drink and food-wise is pretty expensive but that's to be expected. If I went again, I'd go in the cooler weather and maybe see some happier faces lol

I'm giving the zoo five stars because I believe it is usually a five star experience.
We really enjoyed it - gorgeous flower gardens, enough indoor options to give us a break from the heat outside, and the animals were will cared for. My kids loved riding the carousel, as well.
Buyer Beware: ask what exhibits are closed before purchasing tickets.
We were told at ticketing that the train was closed and we were okay with that. We were not told that half the zoo was closed. We hit blockades everywhere and finally went back to the carousel to ask the ladies how to get to the lions, giraffes, rhinos, and such. With orange blockades closing off walkways and an actual gate closing another, we went in circles for a while before finally asking. Yeah, literally half the zoo was blocked off.
That was really disappointing. We're visiting from Texas, so we aren't members who can just return a different day. I wish we had been told before we purchased tickets.
Even with that, it was still a fun experience and a beautifully maintained zoo.

Great zoo. Allow at least 2-3 hours. Lots of fun play spaces for the young ones as well as beautiful animal exhibits. They have penguins among their animals . I would love to visit here again!

I haven't been to many zoos in my life, and the ones I did visit I was too young to remember anything. Tulsa zoo is absolutely amazing, my wife and i went alone and even without kids we spent 3 hours here. They have such an amazing selection of animals to see and the enclosures for the MOST part are large and don't seem sad and cramped. It's over 80 acres of zoo land so bring good walking shoes.
Tristen Nord — Google review
Had a wonderful time at the zoo with the kids. I recommend the zoo pass, it makes it easier. The one complaint would be the food prices compared to the food quality. Other than that had a blast.
Greg Wilson — Google review
Im not sure if it were the time we went (1:30-4pm) or the time of year (early spring) but the animals were so active. The animals in these exhibits were more active than any other zoo and I’ve been to. They have a lot of unique species as well I’m not use to seeing in other zoos. Such as a python and naked mole rats.
My favorite exhibits were the Diana Monkies, the chimps, the giraffes, and the giant tortoise's. The elephant exhibit was closed today.
My only thing is that a couple exhibits had unfair space compared to other animals such as their white and black swan and the a larger sea turtle in one of the indoor exhibits. The bald eagles had clipped wings as well whereas so many other birds had ability to fly.

I found out that you can reserve wheelchairs, strollers, etc. ahead of time. Calling in even before the day of tour visit. They give discounts if you have a picture ID and EBT card at entrance. Cost is really reaonable even without discount. Great presentations of animals, plenty of variety of animals. Mechanical bugs area children seemed to be REALLY ENJOYING I observed. Thinking early in the day is better, as many were resting around noontime.

We pay for the family membership pass since we come here so often! Our kids absolutely love seeing all the animals! We also love the food (pepperoni pizza is the kids' FAVORITE) definitely worth the money and drive for some people.

I’m a bit disappointed… the tickets were expensive for a half zoo. They were updating a lot wich is fine but nothing on their website. The animal houses closing at 4 pm but entering the zoo is until 4. Makes no sense since you won’t make it to see the entire zoo. Half cages were empty but paying the full price. The restaurants were mainly closed abs the one that was open sells chips and other snacks for a horrendous price. The gift shop only for rich people since a toy cost 30-40$!! I guess you have to decide on your own if you can afford it. Kids will definitely have fun but I would not go there again. The map very confusing and the way the zoo is organized very strange… we walked in circles a lot and wasted so much time. Please make sure you come at latest at 1 pm to the zoo to see snd enjoy it all.

First time at a different zoo than the one in Okc and we loved it worth the trip. The zoo is set up very well and it's like your in the experience with the animals. For sure recommend going if your have never been we will return for another visit.
The Blue Whale of Catoosa is a well-known curiosity situated along Route 66. Erected in 1972 on a small pond, it boasts a nearby picnic area and gift shop that can be accessed through the whale's mouth. Although swimming is no longer permitted, visitors can still take photos inside the giant blue whale's jaws.
I highly recommend visiting. Liz has done a fantastic job at bring the blue whale back to his glory days. It's also close to Tulsa downtown. You can climb up in the head and the tail. You could also stay and have a picnic at one of the tables. You can also purchase a souvenir while your there.

This is a nice stop, if you happen to be in the area or if you need a Tulsa bucket list item. I hear upgrades to the area might be coming in the future. It’s fun to see some of the Route 66 history. You can climb into the the top of the whale, but there is no swimming anymore and the general grounds are okay. Visit the whale … check.

I knew about the whale and planned a route on Route 66 just to visit this attraction. It is a nice little park. The whale is very nice and the people responsible for this should be commended. Unfortunately the gift shop had just closed as we arrived. So we didn't get to look around. We probably would have purchased something. Either way this is an attraction that you really should not pass by. How often do you get to do something like this?

The Blue Whale or Catoosa is an iconic Route 66 landmark. It needs a bit of sprucing up but there are bathrooms and a picnic area.
There is now a no swimming sign posted and I'm assuming because the pond may not be safe to swim in. We did see turtles while we were there.
There was a tornado rolling in and some random dude was upset about the no swimming sign. You can fish here but it's catch & release only.

Traveling along route 66 to see many of the quirky roadside attractions and had to stop at the place. Cracked me up and I would really like to know the whole story of how this was an anniversary present for someone! What would possess a person to build an iron and cement blue whale in Catoosa Oklahoma? There is a ladder available to climb on top of the whale's tale, which I did not do. The wooden ark appears to have lights strung on it that spell out "ark" (in case you couldn't figure that out 😄). Regardless if you're driving along route 66, you cannot miss this place, so why not stop and smile? There is a small rainbow painted building between the ark and the blue whale that appears to be an ice cream stand, but it wasn't open when we were there.

In the last several years they've really fixed this place up to be a nice roadside attraction. It's a great place to have a picnic on a nice day, and hardly ever crowded as far as I can tell. Totally worth stopping for if you're driving along 66.

This is one of those original "Road side route 66 attractions" that really shouldn't be missed. A good place to rest from driving. You can walk onto the whale, but there is no longer swimming, or climbing on top of the whale. The little snack shack has food for the fish and turtles, which they will all come right up to you when you walk out onto the whale. Just a heads up though, the bathrooms leave little to the imagination. I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't need to be THAT close to anyone. There are 2 separate toilets on the women's side that are not divided into stalls, nope. Just right there knee to knee with your neighbor. The kicker is the room is actually large enough to accommodate 3 or 4 divided stalls. I guess they do things differently in Oklahoma.

The wife and I decided to go out for an old-fashioned picnic and based on the closeness we selected Blue Whale of Catoosa. The old wooden whale is pretty cool, and the kids seem to like exploring in and around it.
The lady working there was very friendly and explained the history of the original attraction. She may have been a family member, because she really seemed to enjoy telling the story.
The site has a small gift shop that offers related merchandise. Besides the big whale and pond there's picnic tables available. There are multiple walking paths that are well kept and shaded.
We spread our blanket on one of the tables, had lunch all while enjoying the great weather beautiful surroundings.

This was a sudden stop as I was out exploring. However, it is part of the Route 66 tourists stops also. A quick place to learn how far you are from places across the nation on the Route and picture opportunities. Also, you say like Jonah you have been in the belly of the whale.

Absolutely adorable old school RT 66 attraction that is free to see. You can walk out onto the whale, which extends out into the lake. They also have a little shop and sell snow cones during the day, but we arrived after closing time. They even had bathrooms open after hours. Well worth a visit. This old guy has such character!!

I was only in Tulsa Oklahoma for a weekend, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this is the Pearl of Oklahoma. I'm fairly well traveled. I've stood awe before the Statue of David. I've wept before the Mona Lisa. I've scaled the steps of Himalayan Buddhist monasteries. I've walked the entirety of the Great Wall of China. All of that pales and comparison to the Blue Whale of Catoosa. This is a must visit. If you are in Oklahoma, you owe it to yourself to make the pilgrimage to this modern marvel. I recommend bringing a tent and provisions for an extended silent retreat, at least two weeks, to ponder the wonder that is the Blue Whale of Catoosa.

This was on my bucket list of places to see on Route 66 and I’m so glad I finally got to visit this summer! The Blue Whale is the best kind of kitschy. The story behind it is also very heartwarming. I’m beyond thankful that it’s still here for travelers to see. I can only imagine what it must have been like back in the day. The whale truly gave us a smile!! 🐳

What a cute Route 66 attraction. They are going to be doing some renovations soon for the upcoming 100th anniversary of Route 66 so it should be interesting to see what they do. There is a gift shop on site with my favorite souvenir, the smooshed penny machine. Definitely fun to stop and walk around. It's free so that's a plus.

Cool location, they had the whale all Christmas'ed out. Neat little gift shop, enjoyed chatting with the fellow working there. Does not appear that you can go upstairs, but you can walk through the main body of the structure. A Route 66 icon, and worth the stop. I grew up nearby, so anytime I am through the area I stop with my kids for a bit. This is a great place to swing by for a half hour or more. This didn't exist when I was young, but now there is even a small store to grab a Blue Whale collectable. This was the 3rd stop of the day for our route 66 passport journey. All of the kiddos loved this stop. So many cool things to see including firearms, knives and swords, taxidermy, instruments and much more. Definitely worth a trip. $10 family admission.

Important info: this is NOT free as described in many places online. The sign says "customary donation- single $5, family $10" I didn't see a card machine and didn't think I had any cash. My husband had already stepped inside a few feet further so I was going to go talk to him and the older lady behind the desk stood and said "it is a customary donation of $5 each to walk around". We were able to find enough cash, but I was SUPER annoyed with the demand of donation. So before you come, know that they do charge admission and you need cash. In my opinion, the demand of donation made me wonder if they are just skirting having to pay taxes on the admission by calling it a donation, which seems a little shady.
HOWEVER, it is a cool museum. We didn't leave enough time to see everything before we had to go.

Such a well taken care of place to learn about an iconic man. The Will Rogers Memorial Museum has a beautiful theater where you can watch some of his films.

The museum is well organized, they've got a map, there are interactive displays, and there's even a movie theater where you can watch short movies (my kids liked The Ropin' Fool).
There's bathrooms and a drinking fountain; they're not requiring masks, though we wore ours anyway.
In the basement there's a mini children's museum, which was unexpected. The kids loved it, especially the dress up area. (Photos are of the kid area.)
Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for kids 6+; 5 and under are free.
We came for the passport stamp, but it ended up being more interesting and more kid friendly than I expected.

What can I say? A classic museum about a classic American! We thoroughly enjoyed learning about Will Rogers - he was before our time, but have heard about him all of our lives from our elders. The museum covered his life very well. I especially enjoyed the movies about Will Rogers' life (roping & a biography) which were suggested by the docent, Tom! The short films were helpful to see more than just photos. I am sure I will never confuse Will Rogers with other stars of his era again. There's also a children's area that looks like it would be fun!

Completed in 1961, this folk-art park features elaborate carved totems created by Ed Galloway.
Wonderful piece of history right here in Foyil, OK. We came from Andrew's Academy with the Preschool class for our Native America week and they had a great time. We had lunch under the pavilion and the park had lots to look at, climb and learn about but going inside the 90ft Totem Pole was a thrill for sure! They were allowed to climb and walk around the 18ft base and discovered what all the animals meant. There was access to a public toilet and a gift shop where we were greeted with smiles and kindness by its keeper Annie. 😊 Thank you Annie for your generosity and beautiful park.

The story behind the park is interesting, but the actual sculptures, are rather uninspiring. The biggest structure (pictured here) is 90 feet tall and massive. It is touted as the world's tallest Totem. Technically, this may be true, but it is not a Totem Pole as it is constructed of cement. The little store / museum has tables and, I thought rather oddly, violin cases Ed made as a hobby. He was a gifted artist. This visit was part of a loop to see the Park along with the Wiganon Cement Mixer and whatever else might be along the way. With the other things, the trip was 4-5 stars. Click on pics for full size.

This was such a magnificent stop during our Route 66 passport adventures. The children loved ever bit of it including all of the history inside of the museum. The lady running the museum and gift shop has an incredible amount of knowledge about Ed Galloway and all of his work. She even stated that he taught wood working for over 20 years at a boys home. We were able to look at all of the fiddles and several other antique pieces in the gift shop area. The kiddos also got to purchase arrowheads as a souvenir from the trip. Traveled Oklahomas Route 66 with my family while on vacation and knew this was a must see! Absolutely loved it! The detail and love that was put into this artwork is amazing. Ed Galloway respected the Natives and it shows. So glad that we got to stop and see this.
Only downside was that the older women working in the gift shop/ fiddle house was a complete grouch. She obviously doesn’t not like children. There was a young toddler in the gift shop with his mother and the older lady made unnecessary remarks about the toddler to my family and I because he was doing what normal toddlers do and making some noise.
We spent about 15 mins in the shop. I bought some items, my nephews bought some items, my mother bought some items and so did my boyfriend. We even made a donation to help preserve Ed’s art. Me and my boyfriend went back outside to finish up taking some more photos and so my mother and nephews sat inside the shop for a bit as we finished up. It’s over 100 degrees out, my mother is older and has a hurt knee. Sitting inside was best for her. As they were waiting on us inside the older women rudely asks my mother and nephews: “ Are y’all going to be here all day? I’d really like to eat my lunch”.
That is not how you treat costumers. We just spent over 100 dollars in your shop and now you’re basically kicking us out..? Sorry we spent 20 mins in your shop. I was extremely disappointed that this was how we were treated. But after reading other reviews I’m not surprised. Ed Galloway would be extremely disappointed too I assume. They definitely need somebody with better costumer service, or just a better personality in general working here. It’s a tourist attraction…
But nonetheless, please stop by and enjoy this art!!! Take pictures!! Just try to avoid the mean lady at all costs. (:

It's a few miles off 66 but is well worth the short drive. This place is awesome. We enjoyed looking and learning about everything there.

This park opens back up in April but you can still walk around and see all of the totems on the property and access the walking trails. It is amazing to see all the artwork and native American reverence here. It is part of the OK route 66 passport book too.
We ended up here after Googling caves near me while visiting Eureka Springs. One review said it was the best cave they had been to so we decided to see if it was for ourselves. This experience was the best! Best tour guide, best cave, best gift shop! Great location and some where I would definitely recommend other going to see. I could have taken a 1000 pictures. We had such a good time! Thank you for putting up with a large crazy group we will never forget it!!!

This was a great stop. Our tour guide, Jackie, was super! They give tours every half hour or so. You can call ahead but reservations are not required. The cave and grounds are well kept. It's not the biggest tour I've been on but we enjoyed it. There are a few steps and some areas under 4ft or so where you will have to duck, but nothing too bad. I'm 6'1 and 230lbs and I squeezed through just fine. They do have salamanders, crawdads and bats in the cave, which is cool. The gift shop and museum are small but nice. Prices were fair for what you get. Thanks again!

The cave was amazing! We really enjoyed our tour guide Emma and her friendly demeanor. She did a wonderful job throughout the tour and answered all of our questions with a smile. The gift shop and museum were very nice. A huge thank you to all those who made this trip so interesting! Highly recommend this destination!

Amazing tour with an amazing tour guide. Very funny and protective of the caves preservation yet also incredibly informative. We saw three out of 5 breeds of salamander and can’t wait to come back for the Wild Tour. It’s amazing that the cave has stayed in the family since its discovery. Whatever pay Cory makes, he deserves more! He goes above and beyond. At the end of our tour, he didn’t hesitate to grab a golf cart to take a man with a cane to his car. Incredible. Please go support this amazing place. 💜

We saw a brochure in our hotel for the cave and my 5 year old wanted to check it out. As his first time exploring a cave, this was a great experience! Boon was an excellent tour guide keeping it fun for everyone and had so much knowledge of the cave and its history! We also enjoyed going through the gem museum and gem hunting. Definitely worth the trip! Thank you for sharing this cave and experience with us!

Bluff Dwellers Cave was an amazing quick day trip for my family. The five of us, all adults, thoroughly enjoyed it. The grounds are very well kept, they have a cool gift shop with historical artifacts and other trinkets, and the tour itself was entertaining and educational. The cave is, in my opinion, beyond cool inside. Such a beautiful place. Our tour guide was Boone, and he was amazing. He was very informative and entertaining, and made sure we stayed aware of everything around us during the tour. The most difficult part of the tour is the stairs when you first arrive. There are some with varying heights, but I was able to navigate, and I do have some difficulty walking in general. The cave is always 56 degrees, and a sweatshirt and jeans were perfectly comfortable. The tour was almost exactly one hour, and we bought tickets on arrival and started the tour within 10-15 mins, enough time to wander around the gift shop and look around. I highly recommend this cave tour!

Loved our experience at Bluff Dwellers cave. We had a private tour experience with Cory (AKA coolest cave dude ever)
Cory knew all the cave animal hiding spots so we were able to see a ton of wildlife, he also was extremely knowledgeable and presented all the information in a fun and exciting way. I absolutely plan on returning with my children. This place is an excellent family experience. There is a lodge located on the premises as well, we didn’t stay but it’s something I plan on looking into our next trip around. There are a TON of caves and state parks in the nearby area.
I will note however because of this attraction being a cave it is not wheelchair or stroller friendly.

I loved this tour! Saw the signs on the side of the road coming from Joplin and decided to stop. I was early, but it was worth the wait. My tour guide, Vianna, was amazing. So many amazing things to see underground. I’m so glad I stopped. One of the coolest things I’ve done on my travels.

Tour Guide Cory was wonderful- so knowledgeable & had great jokes! The cave was one of the most beautiful we’ve seen, & we had a great tour. We also got to see around 15 different salamanders. Highly recommend bringing your family here!

Our guide 'Boone' was great, very knowledgeable. The cave is fantastic, this was the second time our family has visited. I took the kids when my daughter was 12 and my son was 3, this time she was 21, he was 12. They loved it both times. I highly recommend purchasing a bag of gems in sand to mine for your gems in the sluice box they have outside the cave. We all had a great time doing that. Lots of good family memories. We will be visiting again and again.

Amazing tour with an awesome guide!
Cory was fun, knowledgeable and the highlight of the tour! He shared facts and history with some (many!) puns sprinkled in!
The hour tour is worth the price. And I’d gladly go back.
My husband and I panned for gemstones and relaxed after the tour. The guides walked by and continued to greet us and check out the stones we found. Everyone was super great from the time we pulled in to the time we left!
Thanks for some great memories in Missouri!

Quite the surprise. We added this cave to our schedule after a suggestion from the owner of the Spanish Treasure cave. It was awesome. Pretty, informative, safe, and the tour guide was great. This ended up being our favorite for the scenery in the cave. The guide was incredible. She was good with the kids, bubbly, patient and did a fantastic job. Worth the trip.

My boyfriend and I visited on our weekend vacation and we had a BLAST. It was his second time visiting and my first time. We were the only two on the tour, which was pretty cool! Our tour guide was awesome, cracking jokes but making sure we learned a lot! I got some awesome shots of the wildlife including a couple salamanders and bats!
We had to do minimal ducking which I was surprised by, and we were on pretty flat ground for the whole cave. We stopped at the gift shop after our tour and checked out the museum and black light room which was pretty interesting!
100% would recommend visiting, even if you have to drive out of the way a bit! Bathrooms are also available before you enter the cave which is a huge plus!

Fun tour, the tour guide was amazing! My 4 and 8 year old really liked it! They planned for treasure and found tons of mineral rocks and lots of "shark teeth" although I think some of them were not shark teeth haha it was still the excitement! We will definitely go back. The guide was funny and educated. We were the only ones there I'm assuming because it was the last hour of the day, but I think it being just us made it even better. The inside of the cave was cool and dark, but the guide had a flashlight that kept it plenty bright inside. The gift shop was a little pricey, but what gift shop isn't. They got some awesome souvenirs and my kids already asked to go back!

While on vacation my husband thought it would be a good idea to check out some caves. Most of them were closed this time of year but this one was open so we gave it a go. So far this was the best part of our trip. We were very nervous bringing our children because theres no touching and no strollers allowed and we didn't know how well they would do. Our tour guide was amazing though and he kept everyone entertained and engaged in the information he shared with us. He made it so much fun and we loved how much he enjoyed his job. We would definitely go back because it was such an awesome experience.

Awesome cave! My guide was Boone. He was very knowledgeable and also made the whole experience a lot of fun. I saw a cave cricket, salamander and bat. You can see fossils hidden within the cave walls. I also learned some great history about the cave including Native Americans visiting the cave. I have been to a lot of caves and this one had some real unique aspects to it. A real hidden gem, I highly recommend it!

Amazing! We came to Miami, Ok from Northern Michigan to visit family, they had never been to Bluff Dwellers Cave. After driving 15 hours to get to Oklahoma, a 50 min drive seemed like salt on a wound. After seeing the beauty of God's creation within this cave, I would walk 15 hours to see it! Highly recommend stopping here!!! Add this item to your bucket list!! The staff and the grandson of the brave explorer that found the cave were exceptional!!! Far surpassed any and every expectation! Laura did a great job as a tour guide, using facts, stories, and some humor! American businesses, take a look at this team as an example of how a business should be, and how a team should work together!! Such an amazing experience for the entire family! Thank you all!

Absolutely stunning cave system, surprisingly low cost for the tour! Our tour guide, Boone, was incredibly informative, funny, and made us all feel right at home. He showed us many beautiful features of the cave, and was knowledgeable about the history of its formation, discovery, and excavation. More importantly, it was obvious he loves his job! I would definitely go again. We detoured about an hour off our main path to see this cave, and it was worth every second!

We visited this cave on a Friday during spring break. It was quiet on location and very peaceful just out front. The gift shop was full of minerals and gemstones as well as other cave related findings! The museum inside the gift shop was very informative, and had lots of artifacts on display. We used the pans to search for minerals and there were SO many stones in the dirt, it was worth the money! My children both crawled the crawl space that was outside several times and enjoyed the entire place.
Our tour guide was Boone and he helped make it a magical, musical, and memorable! He very much knew a lot about the cave and the Native American history of what was there. He shared stories throughout the tour and answered our questions. He was genuinely excited to see an adult salamander living inside the cave, and to show my children the bats that were sleeping. He even took time to explain the unnatural things in the cave that had been put in by man.
We will be back with more friends!

Incredible hidden cavern in a little bitty small town. The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Lauren was an incredible guide and very knowledgeable about this amazing cavern.
This cavern is very family friendly and or large groups. Our family of 6 with kids of different ages enjoyed every aspect of this cavern. So much history and a great educational experience! I loved that it’s still family owned and operated to this day. Amazing atmosphere and I would recommend to anyone.
Musicals & plays staged in a restored 1929 performing-arts venue with ornate architecture.
Restored theater, much original, even was able to recover the original pipe organ. Had a nice tour. Tours are free but donations are welcome

I went in to see the theater and they were about to give a tour so I joined. What a gorgeous well taken care of theater. The beautiful chandelier. The gold-guided accents. The custom carpets. And of course the pipe organ which we got to hear play. Very neat. I gave a small donation as I know it's a lot of work to keep this place going. Pictures definitely don't do this place justice. A must see.

Bravo to the staff and volunteers for being the caretakes of the Coleman Theater. It was an amazing experience to take the tour and learn about the community-funded restoration...the well-kept original stage backdrop, the return of the Mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ, the remake of the original carpeting, and the seating being replaced using the same company that created it in 1929. You were pleasant and informative during our visit with you and we thank each one of you!

The Coleman Theater is amazing! Fully renovated and available for tours. I love the stained glass under the balcony, backlit to display their beauty! They have a pipe organ, The Mighty Wurlitzer, with pipes on either side of the stage, hidden in what one would think was box seating. If you tour the theater, you will get to hear it!! I highly recommend this theater, and I've already purchased a ticket for an upcoming event.
Steve Simmons — Google review
The obvious is that this theatre is beautiful and really gives you a sense of what "going to the theatre" really meant back in the day. But also as a modern day concert hall the small size and comfortable seating really makes it an intimate venue, so you really get your money's worth no matter which seat you buy. It felt more like I was in the performers living room than at a concert. There was ample bathrooms and concessions (including a beer garden) and the staff was amazing. So friendly and very helpful! They have done a great job at the Coleman!

As a local, my family loves visiting the historic Coleman Theater.
We have attended numerous showings, live theatrical plays and we have visited every year for the Halloween boo ha-ha downtown trick-or-treating event. My senior prom in high-school was even hosted here. There have been soo many great memories made at this theater and I love that I now get to carry that on and share it with my own child.
A visit to the Coleman Theater never ceases to disappoint and it is always a treasure to remember. I highly recommend a visit to any local or passerby traveling through Miami, OK. on Route 66.
Twyla King — Google review
This place is a beautifully restored historic theatre. As is the case with most everything anymore, income was the only thing on the designers mind when restoring this place, there was not enough room between seats, my knees were against the shoulders of the people in front of me. If you are over 5’5 you are not going to be comfortable in the seating. There seems to be no handicapped seating. I as well as many others were with great difficulty climbing stairs to be seated, as there is no elevator. The sore we attended was in February and still it felt as if we were roasting in the balcony
David Shrum — Google review
A Route 66 must see! I grew up in Miami and had the pleasure of performing in band concerts at the Coleman Theatre. They were in the process of restoring it while I was growing up and have done an amazing job. I popped in on my recent visit for an official tour and was able to learn a bit more of the history and see just how beautiful the theatre is restored to her former glory. I have fond memories of watching many performances including operas, silent movies with the mighty Wulitzer organ, plays, and concerts just to name a few. I'm so happy to know that the Coleman is still providing the same wonderful shows and bringing a variety of art offerings to the community and visitors alike, and hopefully will be for many years to come.

A GRAND THEATER of yesterday's gone by but still holding her illustrious beauty.. Fully functional to show films, hold plays and concerts... I cannot say enough about the beauty of this star spangled building built in 1929...

The Coleman Theater is a stop on the official Oklahoma Route 66 passport. A gorgeous theater from another era. Of note are the chairs with the names of delegates representing the American Indians of the past. It is very somber. It is a place to go and be quiet and reflect.

This was our first visit to Indigo Sky. The casino was a lot nicer than I expected.
Beautiful lobby very clean. Friendly staff. That had a small glitch with credit card reader when we went to check in. Had to go back in a couple of hours. They were so apologetic and truly sorry for the slight inconvenience. The fireplace in the lobby is very cool place to sit around.
The rooms were perfect. Clean and no smoke smell at all. No microwave in the room but there is one just down the hall.
Now down to the casino. I liked it a lot very bright and plenty of machines to choose from. There were plenty of 50 cent and quarter machines.
I won some money and lost some money like any casino. They have three different bar areas and several food places.
The food was very fresh and delicious.
Logan worked the main bar area and she worked very hard to make everyone there happy. She as we’re all of the workers at Indigo Sky very friendly and helpful. Thanked us for coming in.
Overall very pleased with hotel security Resteraunt’s and the machines. I don’t play table games, but I heard lots of yelling in those areas. I never saw a full ash tray.
Got a free backpack, carry bag or garment bag for only 100 player club points. We got two of them. The wife loved her stay there as well. My wife works at a different casino no where close to this one and she to was impressed overall with this casino. Overall loved it I will be back again.

One of my favorite places to gamble at a casino since we moved to Missouri. We drive 2 hours to come to this casino.. There is a restaurant in the back not the one in the corner but the one next to it has great buffalo wings and drinks and at the bar there are slots to play while eating and usually we do ok on thought slots too. The hotel rooms are to standard for the price rating and don't offer your tubs inside any of the rooms

LOVE, LOVE this Casino! Only Casino that lets you play the games and see what they can do (bonuses/free games). Well worth the 2 1/2 hr drive from KC. Only Casino we go to, don't like the casino's in KC. We go to Indigo Sky about 2-3 times a month. They have the BEST STAFF, super nice and helpful, Travis Morgan is our Host and he is awesome. Indigo Sky is the Best Casino around the KC/Oklahoma area in my opinion. The hotel rooms are great, clean and comfy. Dinning is great too, the food is very good. This is a must TRY Casino. We always have fun there and ALWAYS tell friends and family about Indigo.
My husband and I love this Casino! We are from Kansas City and we drive the 2 hr 45 minutes to Indigo, well worth the drive! Casino is clean, don’t ever smell smoke and we are smokers, plenty of ash trays never have to look for one like you do in most casinos, staff is nice and helpful, hotel is beautiful and reasonably priced and the slot games are fun, tons of games to pick from!

As far as casinos go, it’s just okay. It has a fair selection of games and it’s pretty easy to cash out. A lot of technical issues with games or games being down though. But the staff is decent except the bar staff. Slow and rude covers that part. Awesome food redeems it for them. All you can eat crab night is a little expensive but worth it! I frequent this place and recommend to give it a try. It’s not for everyone though. Gambling addicts should not visit here.

Went there for Thanksgiving lunch/dinner buffet. The food was very well prepared, my hats off to the chef and his crew. The front of house staff also did a great job, very personable and friendly, good service. We had a wonderful time there. I wanted to check out the Truckers lounge. I was, way more than surprised, at what we saw. I expected slot machines. I was very wrong! It is an old farm house and inside was remodeled very elegantly!! Not a slot machine in sight. T.V. room, laundry room, computer, showers!! I think they turned a couple bedrooms into showers! They are huge!! Toilet, sink, shower and enough room to do cartwheels.
We played some blackjack and the dealers were very friendly, as expected. Didn't win but had a few hours of fun entertainment. Our room was nice and the bed was comfortable. We live 1/2 hour away and will most likely spend more nights there.

As a truck driver, this is most definitely my favorite casino to visit. Truck drivers get treated like we are nothing but trash in most places. Not here, we are treated with great respect. They have created a awesome drivers lounge for us. It is equipped with showers and sitting area. You can shower once a day free, and up to 3 loads of laundry done per day free. The casino gives drivers a $10 food voucher every day. And every morning drivers may go to the hotel and eat breakfast for free. Now this doesn’t sound like much to so, but for a driver who spends a couple months away from home working. This is just enough to recharge the batteries. If I could give them 10 stars I would. I have been driving for over 25 years. And hand down my favorite stop.

The people that work here are very friendly. The showers were clean and very nice. The laundry machines were very nice. Ten dollars for a 12 dollar buffet. Great place to stay, it is right beside the casino and you can even get a shuttle to and from if necessary. The resort is very nice and clean with excellent staff. They have a full breakfast in the morning that will be served to you just say what you want and the amazing host/server with get it for you and or bring it to your table. Breakfast stops at 11am.
Buffalo Run accommodation also includes truckers. They have plenty of truck parking, showers and complimentary $10 voucher every 24hrs for cdl holders and plenty more. Also $25 free play for 1st timers. But you have to play at least $10 to get the free play.
They also have indoor top golf and 2 restaurants and an 24hr bistro that is very good. They have plenty of games to choose from and actual gambling tables.
I have been to a few other casinos here in the area and so far Buffalo Run Casino and Resort is my favorite.

Great casino really is and especially if you're a trucker, one of the few that respects us! They have a truckers lounge where you can have your laundry done, beautiful shower room and a voucher for $10 for food each day I believe. Plenty of parking. Also I had a suite room when on a 34 hr reset there and the food was great and the room was pretty nice and big! Room was close to 5 star rating but this hotel definitely deserves 5 stars especially for being considerate and respectful.

I had a good time, while doing my 34hr restart. Not as good as the last time, about 6 weeks ago. I didn't have any luck at the Blackjack table this time. I don't like where they moved all the table games into a side room. I liked it better when they were on the main floor area. Feels like it lost the ambiance it had before!!

As A Truck Driver this is my go to spot when on the Toll road. Plenty of parking, nice modern yet cheap hotel rooms for guest and Drivers. The food is good. They have a new Drivers lounge. Which is awesome! But I like playing the slots, and the staff is very friendly and helpful!

Signs all say more jackpots more winning more fun. Well I didn't win anything no jackpot for sure so not much fun. I know you won't win every time but don't claim to have loose slots if they are tight and don't really pay out. I couldn't even break even. I will say it's a nice casino and staff was great but a casino makes to much money to not let you win more than you do. Overall not a bad place just don't expect to win or break even. You might get lucky who knows.

Took my son and family here for his birthday and wanted to treat them with nice meal....
Was told 35 minute wait which was way over an hour, no biggie. We all had lots of questions about menu and waiter did great job with it. Got our drinks and salad and he was waiting a new table that came in, he took them their drinks and bread, told us he would bring ours in bit... felt like the other table was more important. We get our food and 3 out of 4 dishes are like warm to cold. Very disappointed, because could of been very good. Flavours were there but big bite of cold gravy on mine, cold chicken for pasta was not good. Waiter did comp free dessert, but would rather had hot meal. The boys were starving and ate theirs, but my daughter and I took home so we could hear and eat it hot.
Would of been nice to been checked on by mgmt about the experience.

I was really impressed with the free showers, free laundry, free casino credits, free truck parking in a clean and roomy lot, and a $10 meal voucher. You make it easy for me to give 5 stars 🌟. Thank you so much for the love.🙏🏾

This place is awesome! Employees are extremely friendly. I'm a trucker and this place goes above and beyond to make sure truckers are made to feel welcome.
I lost $800 last time I was there, but it was worth it. I had a great time winning and losing . I had an absolutely great meal. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area and have spare time

I had a great stay here with my family last weekend. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms were generously sized, clean and comfortable. The tiled walk-in showers were very nice. I also enjoyed the gift shop and morning coffee in the lobby dining area. Too bad we didn't stay during weekdays when the breakfast buffet is open. However the food at the 3 casino restaurants next-door was really good with generous portions. Overall a great deal!

All staff in every area are super nice. Big wins every once in a while. Usually enough to keep you alive & have some fun. By the way, they LOVE truckers! They provide ample parking, a separate building with showers & lounge, and their CDL discount isn't just 10%. It's $10 every 24 hours. We always stop here for the night whenever we have the chance.

I was given a room with toilet running, fridge door would not shut due to all the frost build up and a napkin behind tv stand. I asked to be put in a different room they refused my request. I checked out.
We love truckers not. I've stayed here other times this was the worst experience ever. I always make it a point to stop when on the area. That ends today.

Used to be my favorite place to stop. I'm a truck driver and used to love the truckers lounge. It's 10:00 in the morning, ain't no coffee made and can't do laundry because Desmond the worker is using all the machines for herself. I think I'll find me another favorite place to stop. Looks like she's doing her personal laundry. I didn't know they were allowed to do that as employees.

Exceptional! I looked at the other reviews before going and thought it was too good to be true. This is a truckers paradise. The machines are loose and the staff is super friendly. They made our first visit a good one and we cannot wait to come back. Free showers and laundry for truck drivers. They also give you a $10 food voucher as well as free play on your first visit. Buffalo Run, you have us forever and I look forward to returning. Thanks for a fun time.

Def lots of good parking for truckers, casino is nice inside, however, the Trucker Lounge is only open from 0700-2200, 7 days a week, but on the Sunday we were here, someone didn't show up to work, so no restrooms/shower access. The roving Security guy gladly took husband to the casino, because it's a pretty far walk. Hope we get to use the facilities next time.
Sleek lodging offering 2 pools, a casino & a spa, plus a free shuttle to a nearby golf course.
My wife and I visited on a holiday weekend, so it was really full. The gaming was fun and the people watching was amazing. We both lost $20, but it was cheaper than a movie. The incredible thing for me was how the staff sanitized each slot machine after someone used it. We'll go back soon for sure.

4 of us stayed one night. Apparently Valet was not running. This makes sense because of covid and staffing challenges; i recommend having a sign out so that new/infrequent guests know this.
Check in was friendly and smooth. Our room was spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was low and the hot water was only hot coming out of the handheld wand (handicap accessible room).
I enjoyed the gallery displays as well as the gift shop. We also gambled a little and had fun doing so.
I recommend and would stay again.

Esthetically beautiful hotel, but seriously lacking in pretty basic advertised offerings.
1. In 3 days we never saw housekeeping.
2. Coffee bar hours are 10am - 3pm. Super weird hours for a casino resort. Also...a "large" vanilla latte will set you back $8. It wasn't comparable to any coffee shop quality in any way.
3. The sports bar never opened during our stay.
4. The buffet. Shockingly bad. We went twice to give it another chance. Fail x 2. The cost is $18 per person for dinner buffet. It is very bare. Most stations were empty or just not available at all. After two trips, our group consensus was that the mashed potatoes were the high point. Just...not good and waaaay over-priced for the very limited offerings. There are restaurants 6 miles away...just make the drive, because there is not a good meal option here.
5. Casino. Lots of options, but out of our group...all losses. Slots will bleed you dry. I mean...I just wouldn't bother.
Overall...make the drive to KC if you're looking for a quality casino resort stay. This place is a disappointment on lots of levels.

I just went Mid July for the first time. It was a free room. I was very impressed with the rooms. The beds were super comfortable and the shower was encased in glass, and quite large! You could also heat it, if you choose to. I visited Nee Spa, and had a wonderful experience there. Well worth the money paid. I will be returning ASAP!!!

Decent-sized casino and hotel. We did not stay at the hotel, but did spend some time (and $$$) at the casino.
Happy that the casino offers free-play to new members. Be sure to check the promotions to see if there are any extra incentives for that day. Not all slot machines accept free play however, so be sure to check first.
Dollars-to-points ratio is not great - figure about $5.00 to "earn" one point. There are several hundred slots available, including both class 2 and class 3 games. There are also table games if that's more your speed.
There are a couple of food options, between a steak house or a buffet. The food at the is a good value as it is all-you-can-eat with soups, salads, sides, entrees and desserts.
Had to deduct one star for the indoor smoking - not a fan. Ventilation is moderate and you WILL stink of cigarette and cigar smoke if you spend any amount of time there.

I gave the room a 4 star because first room we have had that did not have hair and makeup area with lights and mirrors. Had to sit at desk to get ready and it was hard because it was to dark lighting.
Rooms are great otherwise.
Casino was good to us. There were 2 couples and we both left with more in our pockets. Always have a good experience there. Food is not great in buffet. We use points or wouldn’t eat there. Steaks are always tough and very little variety for the price.

Downstream made our favorites list. We frequent casinos, (occasionally) and ran into this gem on a Texas- Missouri run. Rooms were large and comfortable. Service was great and friendly. (Did not get chance to sample restaurant.) The whole place was very clean and well taken care of. Slots were loose that night. We'll be back.

Had such a blast staying here a few months back! The Legends Sports Bar was our go to food spot. Great for Burgers and sweet potato fries... they have a sweet honey sauce that is AMAZING. Games are fun and the rooms are very clean and nice. I know plenty of people from Tulsa that go here for a weekend getaway.
I LOVE DOWNSTREAM!

Been here many times, never won over 50.00 but I do know people that have one 20k+ in one night. Food is about par in the sports bar, awesome in the steak house, and usually so-so in the buffet. Service is excellent but slowwww in all. My main complaint is this place is WAY too loud when the band comes on, nobody comes for the band turn the damn volume down. My main draw here is the very cool vibe, the architecture, the bartenders are top notch, the dealers are top notch, and security is everywhere. They are not letting this place go down hill, it’s as good now as it was when it opened!

The casino is very beautiful and spacious. The games are not stacked on top of each other. The buffet was not worth the money. Other guests thought so as well while chatting amongst other customers while dining. Our waiter was very attentive to our table. The grill area of the buffet was not open, and I asked the cook if it was going to open, and he assured me no.

The staff here are all so friendly! We are thankful for the RV sites with water and electric. ( and a spot to dump on the way out). Nice view of the buffalo if they're around. You can call the shuttle to pick you up right from your rig as it is a bit of a walk, especially in the heat. The buffet was pretty good, and the staff there are the friendliest in the whole establishment imo.

If we go to Downstream it's for convenience. I've personally never won any money in the hundreds of times I've been there. The $20 buffet is not good anymore and only worth it if you have resort credits that pay for it all. The rooms are very nice! The little walk up restaurant serves pretty good sandwiches that they change the menu of every now and then.
It's a nice place if you don't want to drive farther into OK. It's rare I see anyone win money unless they bet at least $10/spin.

My husband and I frequent downstream and love the atmosphere and the workers are really friendly. This weekend my son and brother came to visit for my sons 21st. Sunday night into Monday morning we were there at midnight so we could buy our son a drink and everyone just loved it. My son went to the craps table and guy by name Bruce he just could not say anything bad about! Monday night we stayed at the hotel for the first time so our son could enjoy his birthday and just had an amazing time! Rooms were amazing and loved our time, thank you Downstream casino for a great weekend

Overall this was a nice place to visit. The buffet was excellent and Vera was our server, she was from the Ukraine and very pleasant. I did win some money but not enough to make a big deal about. The band was great and the atmosphere enjoyable for the majority of the time. Was there to try and win their million dollar giveaway and didn't get my name called but maybe next time. I do recommend this place. Four stars for the buffet and five to the server Vera.

I am avid gambler. Join many of your promos. Not once have I been called. Or compensated for not winning. The machine are cold as ice and no winning. Need newer, machine so many out their. Get my monthly flyer and my amounts go lower and lower each month. I think it's time to drive further down the road for my fun. Just frustrating.

Another fun day at downstream. We love this casino! It's so much fun we go there play and eat, it's like a mini vacation. People working there are always so nice and the food at the Buffet is very good. Huge variety of slots and my husband loves to play blackjack.
We haven't stayed at the hotel yet as we live reasonably close to home.

Didn't stay for the night so I don't know about the rooms, just went mid range. The location is amazing and we had a great time. We had the Thanksgiving buffet and it could have even better but for a buffet it was good. We didn't really require any service except for during lunch but it was good.

I got caught in a snowstorm and didn't want to drive in it so I called to see if I could get a room. Fortunately, a room was available and I sure appreciated that! The busboy as well as the hotel front desk clerk were exceptional! The next morning the housekeeper that was cleaning my floor was doing a great job of cleaning! I was really impressed with my stay!!

Throughout the years the rooms have gotten a bit worn out . In places, the carpeting is frayed and showing age . It’s a beautiful casino /resort but in need of updates .It is obvious that help is hard to find . Services that were once available have diminished and restaurants have left or have limited days and hours. .The quality of the food at the buffet is up and down. The television reception was terrible due to tiling . The best time to come is after the outdoor pool opens .That makes it worth the trip !

I really can't say enough about how wonderful this resort really is!
We had a great time in the casino, winning big a few times!
We loved the decor and our room was amazing! It really felt like we were royalty.
The buffet was delicious and totally worth the price, c which was really reasonable for the amount of food you get.
The pool and hot tub were fantastic.
We can't wait to go back.
The people were so nice too.

This place is by far the biggest casino in the area. Plenty of parking and even parking for semi trucks. They have a buffet all you can eat I had 5 adults and 1 child and the bill was $96.00. Not including a tip. We had the brunch buffet which has so much to choose from you will not be disappointed. The dessert bad is amazing and made fresh daily.
Plenty of slots machines and card tables to where you don’t feel like you have to stay in one place. The staff if very helpful and you get free play when you sign up as a first timer.
My wife and I will definitely be coming back here, it was definitely an enjoyable experience

This place is huge, lots of machines to choose from. I don't think it's possible to get bored here. Great environment, friendly staff, very clean. Can't say much about the payouts because we didn't win. 😂 However, it is a cool place to visit if you have never been here. Didn't stay at the hotel, so we can't speak on it either.

Very little ventilation considering the amount of smoke/smokers present. Every drink ordered from the center bar was terrible. They kept running out of everything and it was difficult to get quick service on what they did have. The live music was a nice feature, but the acoustics made it nearly impossible to enjoy. You can't hear if you're on the other side of the nearest bank of slots. If you're any closer, it's just loud noise that's unbearable to tolerate for too long. The seafood buffet wasn't too bad for the $22 base price. The add-ons (crab legs, lobster tail, steak) were a complete rip-off though. None of our 30+ size group had a winning night. But! The dealers were nice and engaging.

Had fun at the casino, slots was great assortment, stayed at the hotel which was very nice! Husband is wheelchair bound, we got a handicapped room, but the beds sit really high up so he had a struggle transferring to the bed outta his chair, wished the beds sit lower to the ground. Room was clean and inviting. Wished they served a free breakfast and had coffee bar😣

Went last Saturday for the seafood buffet with all you can eat crab legs. Spent $52 dollars per person and the food was horrible. Everything on the bar was overcooked. Crab legs were mushy. Deserts were obviously frozen and dry. Would not recommend. Service was pleasant. Best part of the meal was the steak they added for no additional cost. Would not recommend.

What a wonderful experience. My family and I have visited this place, around eighteen years ago and we recently visited again. If you haven’t heard of this person and his contributions to humanity, this would be a great learning area for adults and children. The building that houses the history behind this man has been updated and is very clean and full of historical information. There is also a large area on the grounds to walk. A trail leads to sites where he grew up. As a historian, I was impressed with the plethora of information here and the significance of his contributions to humanity.

Very nice memorial center at the previous home of George Washington Carver. Carver was a Black Scientist and Inventor who created many things from peanuts and other crops. He found alternative crops for farmers and helped improve their soil quality. He became a Professor at the great HBCU Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University). The center has much about his history including rooms like his lab and classroom at Tuskegee. There are also interactive sections for children. The property includes his former small home and the forests with a 3/4 mile trail he walked daily. A great history lesson.

GWC was a great American and a tremendous inspiration, overcoming tremendous obstacles to rise to the pinnacle of America success... interesting to note that the man whose name he took - Mr. Carver as well as his wife - took in an orphan born of slaves and encouraged him to get an education, taught him to knit and crochet, in a time and place when virulent racism was the rule, not the exception... fascinating life of service...

The Precious Moments Chapel is a tourist attraction that boasts of colorful murals inspired by Precious Moments figurines. One can take tours, visit the gift shop and cafe to fully experience this simplistic yet ornate place. The stained glass, wall art and murals are exquisite with a heartwarming story behind it. Even though it's half an hour away from Branson, it's definitely worth visiting as the artwork and detail are fantastic.
It's beautiful and heart felt. If you ever suffered the loss of a child this place is emotionally comforting. It is simplistic, ornate and beautiful. I opted to get a blind grab bag which was awesome. I got 4 figurines for the price of 1. I loved all the ones that I got. Very friendly people and very knowledgeable. Here are only a few pictures. I don't want to spoil it for you..kinda like telling someone about how a movie ends while you're watching it. Definitely worth another trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We started at the picnic tables out front under the trees to have a picnic lunch on our road trip, then went in to tour the chapel, see the cave look out, and enjoyed a very knowledgeable guided tour of the chapel paintings and history in the chapel. Wow. What an amazing place. You really don't need to be religious or even spiritual to appreciate this one. It is an incredibly beautiful of one man's artistic expression of love. Everything is so intricate, so soothing. It's a place where one can genuinely sit in solitude and find peace.
It's free to visit, off the beaten path, and well worth your time. I'm posting many random picture to give kind of a feel for it all but they do not do it justice by any means. What a beautiful experience. First walking up from the parking lot you see the fountain and the horse sculptures and the adorable RV camper off to the side. Going inside to see the life-size figurines. Just really neat. They also have a few different smooshed penny machines which I love. Walking out around the building to get to the church the walkway is lined with more sculptures and another fountain. Love it. The gates are so ornamental. Then proceeding on to the church you're greeted by the gorgeous hand carved doors. And then walking inside it's just overwhelming how amazing the interior is painted. Such detail. And the stories of the bible on display with each painting and stained glass window. Breathtaking! The room of Remembrance and the book there to sign. Just such a meaningful experience. All of it was really great and I'm glad I stayed for the free tour. I really enjoyed learning about the history of Precious Moments and Mr. Butcher (a fellow Michigander). Well worth the time spent here. If you're in the area definitely stop. Really needs to be seen in person.

No cost to enter and has changing tables in both the ladies and men’s bathroom! We took our 2 YO and 1 YO as a place to stretch legs while traveling. It was perfect! They have a beautiful outside part with fountains and statues. The kids also LOVED the chapel and just wanted to sit in the pews pointing out all the things they could see in the HUGE painting. The museum was nice but the kids could have cared less about that part. But everyone we met were so nice and it did a great job of letting my kids get some energy out :)

It has been years since I was last here. I enjoyed everything. Lots of good memories.
I was thankful they had wheelchairs available since the electric one I rented for our vacation wouldn't hold a charge.
Museum dedicated to Big Brutus, the world's biggest electric shovel, which is located on-site.
I've been wanting to check this guy out for years, and it was totally worth it! So much stuff to check out, the museum is small but super informative, the land is beautiful and I was lucky enough to basically have the entire place almost all to myself (Tuesday afternoon). It's so much more impressive in person, obviously, and getting to climb up into the beast was super cool (although a bit tight for being 6'6"). Also, didn't know there's a campground as well, something to keep in mind. Also, the girl working there was super nice and helpful, I'll definitely be going back with friends and family!

Bug Brutus is huge and an amazing site to see. There are also other mining items to see, and there is a nice display in the museum in the visitor center.

This is one of those perennial tourist attractions that locals easily overlook, but if you haven't taken the kids or gone since you were a kid, you really need to stop by and visit again. Brutus is amazingly huge. And it's fun to climb up and around in it. The indoor museum is cool, too, and there's a nice picnic area and mini playground for young kids. I thought my crew would spend about an hour there, but we ended up leaving 2 hours after arrival, and that's without reading all the mining info. Definitely stop by and visit!
Abbie Stratton — Google review
Far from the tourist traps off I-70 (literally), Big Brutus ended up being a fun stop. You can see everything in 45 minutes or so if you breeze through. There is a small mining museum that has some interesting articles and items. The earth mover itself is massive (I put a banana for scale in one pic)! The tank tracks on it are over 6 feet tall! You are able to go inside the machine and explore. For anyone over 5ft tall, or that has issues with stairs be warned: there are narrow stairs, several tight spots, and plenty of places to bang your head. There are other exhibits on the grounds that do not require climbing. There are benches, paved paths, and restrooms for those who need them. Worth the stop in my opinion for anyone heading through SE Kansas. There is an RV park there but I didn't see any campers.

If you're out in this area, it's a great stop! It was interesting and the staff was friendly. It's a self guided tour but they made sure we had materials to guide us. My nieces liked climbing through Big Brutus. I'm not a fan of heights or closed in spaces so, I did not go all the way up but still enjoyed the site even without going completely through it.

Went on a weekend excursion for the kiddo, and honestly held lower expectations than we should have. The wife and I were actually impressed with how interesting everything was. It's definitely something to stop and check out. The facts and overall massive size of Brutus are an experience that we definitely recommend. The gift shop isn't overpriced, but the woman in the gift shop is definitely overly friendly. Thoroughly enjoyable

As a kid, I always remember seeing pictures of my mom and stepdad visiting here and was something I thought would be neat to see someday. Needless to say it did disappoint, and it is massively fun to go tour from the inside to the outside. Lots of history to read about and they give a data sheet so you can do your own self guided tour

We visited on 3/15/22 and at first I thought we would only spend 30mins looking around, but over 3 hours later we were finally leaving! Amazing piece of machinery. Truly some of the nicest Staff. Joe talked to us a lot and gave tons of inside stories and information-which was just the coolest thing! We even got to meet an Electrician Jimmy L who actually worked on Brutus when it was in operation-SO COOL! He was such a nice guy and shared with us some stories about Brutus. They have QR codes that link up to videos from the men who worked on Big Brutus, so interesting to hear the personal stories. So much information, WELL worth the $8.75 entry fee. They allowed our dog to be with us on the grounds as well! Highly highly recommend. Five stars for sure.

Super fun experience nestled into Kansas back country. Easy drive, and easy to find from a distance(thanks Brutus). Staff extremely knowledgeable on the history. Definitely a fun hike around a part of history most people don't get to experience. The only want from this place would be an insurance waiver to be able to climb all the way to the top.

11000000 pounds of BIG. This is fantastic to look at. Huger than huge. Great history you can read about or watch video and even listen to the people who run the registers as one of their jobs. We thoroughly enjoyed climbing up inside and just being awestruck in general. Thanks to the people in the museum for topping off a great visit.

Great place! Cool museum and a great piece of Kansas history. If you're nearby, it's worth a short drive for sure!

I went here as a young man in the early 90s. It was just a crane in the field. However, it is now a museum with loads of info about the history of the crane and company, and an unguided tour through the crane itself. Very cool and my little girl loved it.

Spent the weekend camping at Big Brutus for the Big Iron Overland Rally. The volunteers were amazing and kept the place very clean and orderly.
Big Brutus is a site to behold. You need to visit the museum and then check out the inner workings of this massive machine. Really fascinating history.

Red Oak II is a historic community in Carthage, Missouri, featuring buildings bought by artist Lowell Davis. The area includes a general store, church, and cafe and pays tribute to the past of Missouri. It's a cool little town with lots of history inside and is well worth a visit for those interested in exploring the area along the "Mother Road.
This place is so neat. I loved being able to just explore the grounds at my own pace.
Worth the stop for sure

If all the stores, and features of this AWESOME place were up and running it'd get 10 stars on a 5 star review scale. What a showpiece for a labor of love! I got to pet an emu. Hold a tiny baby goat, and see so much artistic talent displayed. Do Not Miss out on A trip to Red Oak II !!!

This museum, about a mile off Route 66 was amazing. I had no idea it was even here as I had not read about it in any Route 66 literature prior to my trip. I only found out about it thanks to the owners of the Best Budget Inn in Carthage (great motel I stayed at).
Red Oak II is such a nice area to park and walk around, looking at all the amazing buildings and artwork. I even spent some time talking to the owner in the gallery / store on the property. She was as sweet as can be and told me a lot about the history of the property.
My favorite house on the property was the skinny house near the pond on the property. It was so beautifully built and I loved looking around inside it.
I'd say Red Oak II is a must visit if driving Route 66 or in the Carthage area. The artwork is amazing and well worth an hour of your time, even if to just stop at and stretch your legs. There is no charge for admission, so be sure to buy something at the store or leave a donation so they can keep this property open for future generations. It's really worth it.

We spent several hours here seeing and enjoying what Lowell Davis had created. We got to talk at length with his widow and really appreciated the time we spent there. We have several pieces of his artwork at home since my wife grew up in Carthage. Do yourself a favor and spend some time here, it is right on the old Route 66 route.

An open air museum considered by some to be a ghost town. Enjoyed walking around and seeing what was there. Well kept, scenic, nostalgic.

This was a great find on our way down Route 66 headed to Oklahoma. We could tell that when Lowell Davis created this he had some grand ideas and we enjoyed taking in the art pieces and old buildings we saw there. A little more information for visitors would be helpful, but overall it was worth the stop!

What an amazing place!! Really quite surreal, it's like being teleported back in time.
It would appear that areas are undergoing construction or renovation, so was only able to walk around.
Didn't see anyone that looked as though they worked there, other than the construction folks to ask questions.
Would've loved to get a drink or food from the cafe, and wish there was some information about the town, but hopefully that's coming soon!
It is a little confusing at times where you can/can't go - appears to be a mix of private and public areas, I was worried at times I might've been trespassing.
But given more time I could've easily spent a bunch of time here!

Red Oak II is a fascinating place. It's a ghost town, but it's not really a ghost town. It's a recreation of a ghost town, created by artist Lowell Davis. Davis grew up in the original Red Oak, Missouri, which was abandoned in the 1950s. He decided to recreate the town on his farm, using old buildings and materials that he found.
Red Oak II is a beautiful place. The buildings are all in good condition, and they're set in a lovely rural setting. It's a great place to take a walk, relax, and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Davis also created a number of sculptures and paintings that are on display at Red Oak II. These works of art are beautiful, and they help to bring the town to life.
If you're interested in history, art, or just want to take a walk in a beautiful setting, I highly recommend visiting Red Oak II. It's a unique place that you won't find anywhere else.
Here are some pros and cons of visiting Red Oak II:
**Pros:**
* Beautiful setting
* Interesting history
* Unique experience
**Cons:**
* Some of the buildings are in need of repair
* It can be a bit of a drive to get there
* Admission is not free
Overall, I think Red Oak II is a great place to visit. It's a unique and interesting place that offers something for everyone.

Americana preserved. This is a unique glimpse into a simpler time and a condensed look back at the Ozarks of the past. Lots of wonderful outsider art scattered along the way that adds whimsey and enchantment to the tour of small-town life from days gone by.

It’s not strictly a ghost town, rather, all the buildings have been brought here from around the country, to be restored and looked after. It’s a really cool place to visit

Found out about this place when eating lunch in Carthage. Must admit it’s quite an exceptional place, and unexpected. We visited during off season and I guess coming during an event would be best. Being and old Air Force pilot the Beech aircraft interested me the most. This aircraft is an WWII veteran.

I found what I believe is a parking spot, then walked the Red Oak 2 loop. It took me about 20 minutes. I was stopping to take pics. The houses and signs are cool/beautiful. The road is a loose gravel which may be hard for wheelchairs. I was unsure if people are allowed to enter the houses, so I did not. This is a nice stop for a quick and scenic diversion.
Lots of fun..big wins. Frequent bonuses on lots of games. Before and after win pics below. Friendly atmosphere and FREE drinks 😊

We saw Cody Canada there last night. The venue was wonderful. The staff was super nice. The only thing that could have made the indoor concert venue better was to have restrooms. The restrooms were close by but you had to go out into the casino area. The casino looked nice, clean, and smoke free. We walked through it to get to the concert.
I would definitely go to and concert there. I want to try their restaurant too. There was a line for it when we got there.

I only visited the casino. There is lots of free parking. There are plenty of handicapped spots near the front door. Wheelchair accessible entry, lots of slot machines and a few table games, a bar, restaurant, and unlimited free self-serve coffee, tea, and soft drinks. The wheelchair accessible ladies restroom has many stalls and was very clean. We went on Tuesday and ladies night, from 9:55 to 11:40. There weren't many people there. I'll return.

The casino was a typical casino, the slots look like they were penny slots, but when you bet it can be anywhere from $3.50 to $5.00 per bet. I thought the employees were top notch caring for anyone and at times it seemed they knew people needed help before they asked. As casinos go this was by far the least smoked fill. Even though people were smoking (which bothers my breathing) this place didn't bother me at all. Loved walking around watching, learning, than participating.

Was a decent room but there wasn't a microwave in the room and the coffee pot was stashed away. More bothered by the lack of microwave than anything! Although the bedsheets were lackluster to say the least!! I mean $130 a night you would think the fitted sheet would fit the mattress and stay on the one full night sleep. I was not happy with the room for the price. I have stayed in Super 8's that were taking care of better and cost me less to spend a partial night in. I checked in at 2am and left at 9am. All I needed was somewhere to rest for a few hours so I didn't end up a statistic in a ditch in Eastern Kansas. But these greedy folks had to get full dollar value for the room, which would have been fine had the room been immaculate and posh! But it was not a $130 room..

The staff at the desk could care less. We were there for a wedding, couldn't get our room to get ready. And they definitely were not trying to accommodate. Finally at 4, when they said check in was, our suite was still not cleaned, so we didn't get the room we were supposed to after waiting 4 hours in the parking lot with 2 dogs. And we asked a staff member if the were short handed and they said no, full staff.

$5 live craps, that alone gets 4 stars. Doesn’t exist in nearby Oklahoma (does quite a few hours to the west) and to the north you won’t find another $5 craps table until Des Moines (I travel a lot 🤪). Had an absolute blast, the dealers were fun, the non-alcoholic drinks I asked for were free, the place was clean, I walked into the hotel and it seemed fantastic, clean, and upscale compared to the standard area motel. The Caesar’s sports bar looked nice although small. I didn’t try but the restraint looked nice and had a normal priced menu.
I will be back for a stay again soon. Unfortunately I only had an hour free before I had to continue the journey home, in for $300, out for $305 and $12 to the dealers for a fun game. Well managed and personable. I could have flushed the entire $300 and the review would still be 5 stars.
Coming from KC this is an easy drive and would be a fun spot to watch big boxing events, and chiefs games during the day. Every gaming table had a TV playing football right nearby.
Please do not change this $5 game. It’s rare, and in a place as nice as this, it’s a true gem!

I stopped there once before and the food was half decent today. I went there and was absolutely terrible. Worst place I've ever eaten. I'm pretty sure mcdonald's value menu would taste better. While I was waiting on my food. I sat down and put $200 in a machine and didn't even hit one time.

BUT 6 dollar beers? I will not be back because of that. I make decent money, but refuse to pay that if I want a beer. By the time you include a tip, it is 8 bucks for an aluminum can of beer.

Short, low-key tour of a pretty old house. Presidential birthplaces (and birthplaces in general) are relatively pointless things to commemorate—and yet. God bless our public parks. It’s nice to walk around. It’s nice there’s a house with a sunny upstairs bedroom and you can look around it for a minute. And a cat showed up!

A fun family friendly and kid friendly outdoor experience in the fall with pumpkin patch, corn maze, corn pit, a giant scarecrow that gets set ablaze with fireworks on a special weekend (Sat Oct 21 this year), zombie staff walking around, slides, swings, a giant jumping pad, goat and calf petting, snacks, kettle corn, local honey, apples, cider, cider donuts... You can rent a firepit also and staff will bring logs out regularly. Outside food and coolers are welcome.
It is a bit expensive right now at $16 per person, and then some additional add on costs for the jumping pad and a few other things.

I visited the Arboretum when it was new, years and years ago. I remember it was pretty, but the plants were small. To say I was blown away today would be an understatement. The gardens have expanded like several people with magical green hands have been hard at work for decades. The water features are soothing. The tree cover is refreshing. There are air conditioned bathrooms with running water just when you need them. What a fabulous experience to come back to after seeing the beginnings of these humble gardens. I highly recommend the Arboretum to guests of all ages and interests.

The Overland Park Arboretum is a nice park that is themed in a botanical fashion. There are nice flower gardens. There are nice paths through woods. There are mini railroad sets which sometimes are running - when the area is staffed.
I did prefer the arboretum when it was a no fee city park. More people have to decide if they want to spend $5 per person to go for a walk in the park.
They have a nice new wedding venue, complete with a reception area, meeting rooms, a snack shop and a gift shop. While it is a nice facility, I have to ask: Why was the decision made to use a bunch of land at a botanical garden for a large building and parking area that are not botanically themed? Pave paradise and put up a parking lot.

In town visiting family. Took a 7yr old here to explore. We loved the train garden with the miniature towns and active train dioramas. Nice area for a picnic lunch near the entrance. Admission is really affordable so you should take some time to enjoy the natural trails and flowers the arboretum provides.

The Overland Park Arboretum is one of my favorite places in Johnson County and is always worth the drive. It’s a huge area with plenty of trails to walk and explore. There is also beautifully done gardens with paved walkways if you’re less inclined to venture deeper in. There is wildlife and sculptures you can see. It’s become my go to place for when I want to be outside but not sure what I want to do. I highly recommend bringing comfortable shoes and a water bottle!

This was our first time visiting here. Have wanted to come for awhile now. It was better than we expected. So many different trails to choose from. We chose the rocky trail because we wanted to do some hiking. Make sure you have good walking shoes! The main pond has HUGE coy fish. Lots of bridges, places to sit and different plants etc. Dog friendly. There’s also a concession stand indoors and bathrooms. Absolutely family friendly and a super cheap way to enjoy the day. Definitely hoping to make this a regular stop weather permitting.

🌟✨ Terra Luna Event at the Overland Park Arboretum was a dazzling experience! The lights in the show were absolutely breathtaking, creating a magical atmosphere. The tour took us on a 1.5-hour journey through the trails with multiple captivating shows, but it was disappointingly crowded. It felt like they allowed too many people for one time slot, which detracted from the overall experience. Nonetheless, the Monet gardens and the scenic walk around the lake were absolutely stunning, making it a worthwhile visit if you can avoid the crowds. 🌼🚶♂️🌌

Registered online for a Bird Walk on 4.13.24. Enjoyed learning about the birds that visit the Arboretum. It was a fun group and I was able to get some good pictures. Highly recommend going on a bird walk here.

The electric glow at the arboretum is incredible! Spent an hour there and could've stayed for another 30-60 minutes if we had the time. It's beautiful at night and if you take the longer path (1/3 mile) the trees block a bunch of the wind so it's quite pleasant even on a cold night. Highly recommend this for date nights and family outings. Thanks to all of the people at the arboretum to make this happen!

This place was so nice. It had a variety of leisurely pleasures from nice walking trails that are easy on the knees to more complicated trails for those who like a challenge. A beautiful stream through the trails offering a nice place to relax. There are statues through the area to ponder and enjoy. The gardens are so relaxing with beautiful tinkling fountains great for mindfulness exercises. The koi are gorgeous, too. My family loved our afternoon here.

Not the right time of year, which means many things were not open (train area wasn't running and of course not many plants/flowers to see). It's a beautiful campus though, I am sure at peak weather season it probably is amazing. If we're back in the area come spring or summer, we'll be stopping in. The gift shop was nice and employees were kind.

First off, this was my first time seeing the new welcome center. It's gorgeous! The staff was very nice and the cafe was delicious.
We attended the Electric Glow walk, and it was stunning. The pictures do not do it justice at all, you have to see it for yourself. I highly recommend taking your family to one of the night time holiday walks.
Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead is an Overland Park family attraction that features a one-room schoolhouse, nature trails, farm animals, butterfly gardens, birds of prey, show gardens, and more. The attraction is open seasonally (April through October) and offers a variety of activities for children of all ages.
A lot of fun to be had here! The mining experience was fun! We also enjoyed petting and feeding the animals. Would also recommend the wagon ride, very fun as well!

A great morning at Deanna Rose Farmstead. Kids love it! Chickens, cows, horses, goats, pigs, fish & more to see (and even feed). There are plenty of trees so even on hot summer days you can find shade. Playgrounds & a general store & ice cream shop makes for a great outing. Lots to do! And entry fee is reasonable for a large family!!

Great place to take our 2 year old granddaughter. She loved all the animals and plants. We ended with a stop at the ice cream shop. Even though we thought it would be busy there was enough space to wander without running into others.

Cheap entry fee for a nice outdoor experience for the kids. Favorites: feeding the baby goats with bottles and feeding the grown goats. Plenty of shade to stay cool and small water spray area. Playgrounds and activities for all ages. Wish all the "characters" in old town building were more interactive. Although bank "employee" gave us a lot of good history and explained to kids how banks used to work.

This has become a favorite spot for my family. Love the fact that it's so easily accessible for the parking the ticket prices the areas and how everything about it is so perfect. In order for me to rate a place five stars I would have to have a wonderful experience and that I did. I love that Bald Eagle although questions popped in my head about haha. Very great place to takes amazing photos with the family. Great interactive areas and informative. Super friendly for children to enjoy. Love their little shops with their western theme. Great assortment of animals I didn't expect to see. Definitely recommend if you want something calm and easy to enjoy

We went to the Deanna Rose Pumpkin Patch with my toddler. It was really cute, we got to take a horse-drawn hay ride from the farmstead to the pumpkin patch.
The pumpkin patch had lots of different kinds of activities for all age ranges. Mini golf, corn-hole, checkers, slides, mazes, hay-pits to jump in, hoops to shoot basketballs in, bowling for kids (you set the bowling ball on a slide and it rolls down and knocks over the pins).
My favorite part was that they had a separate area for toddlers. Sometimes it can be overwhelming for younger kids to play with the 'big kids' and they took that into account and provided an area for them to play and have fun.

Took my family here as this is a place I have enjoyed for many years growing up. The price is perfect at just $3 per person 3 and up. There is a vast variety of animals to see and even animals you can feed. My daughter who is 1 enjoyed the ducks and the baby goats who wanted to nibble on her clothes. It has old timey places to explore and well over 200 animals on the farm. I enjoy the fact that it has a hay ride pulled by the most beautiful pair of horses I’ve laid eyes on. At certain times you can milk the cow and if you have older children fishing is a plus!

It is such a nice area to walk around and see animals. We love the feel of the old time stores. Don't forget to take a vintage picture! They're hilarious. There's a general store and ice cream shop. Admission is very affordable.
You can easily see the whole area in a day.
Bring quarters to buy feed. Dispensers are available throughout the area to feed some of the animals. There is a playground area and plenty of shade. We love looking at all the beautiful plants grown here, too!
They also have movie nights!

This is a fun place to go with the little ones and it really doesn't cost much. We had fun playing in the water while looking for special rocks that you buy from them. We got to feed goats, which the grandkids always love to do. Hayride and a park that was fun also. We didn't do the pony ride or fishing because it was Sunday, and we had to be home for Chiefs game. We had a wonderful time. We can't wait for the pumpkin area to open up to enjoy that next time.
Michelle Hobbs — Google review
This place is more than worth the $5 entry fees for what it provides. A beautiful space for young children to interact with nature and learn about farming and animals with the addition of multiple playground areas.
Minus one star because many of the facilities, especially the wash stations, benches, and playground areas could be much better attended. If one person litters or vandalizes them in any way, there appears to be virtually no one there who will fix it with any expediency. Many of the wash stations were extremely dirty, littered, rusted, and in disrepair, there was dirty stagnant water with trash due to the unleveled concrete in the children's splash pad, trash in the artificially dyed blue pond with the fake swans, and trash on every other bench. They need to hire more on-site maintenance personnel and security to regulate unruly patrons who care nothing of the public good.
Otherwise, this is an ideal place to spend a day with children productively.

We love this place. It takes us about 15 min to get here from our house and we have been here a few times and just keep wanting to go back. It is free from 2 in the afternoon so I sometimes pick my children at their day care sooner and we head there. Still enough time to see animals, feed goats, ride tractors, get ice cream and have fun at the playground. Definitely a perfect place for families!

Very affordable! And so much to do! I had my 2 year old and 9 month old and we spent about 2.5 hours and didn’t see everything but they were getting tired by that point so we called it a day. They have multiple play grounds and of different kinds. Some are all about tractors while others are more traditional or others are done around a garden. You can feed baby goats, big goats, fish, go fishing, see milking with a big machine, and go on a hayride pulled by horses.

We drove over 4hrs from Iowa. We had a great time, the kids loved it. Unfortunately after a long car ride and the sun finally deciding to come out, it was really humid, so we didn't stay as long as we planned, but we have decided we are coming back with the kids next year, and when the weather is a little cooler. Definitely recommend going, it is a great place to take kids

seasonal festivals & a kid-friendly food farm.
After having lived here for thirty years, I finally bought a membership last year. I try to go twice a month during blooming season. It's just a beautiful, relaxing walk. Even on hot days, there are plenty of benches and tree cover to keep us cool. The garden isn't dog-friendly, but they do allow ESAs (with proper documentation). It's fun to chat with locals and visitors from all over, too. A little piece of heaven in our corner of the world. We're lucky to have this attraction.

We received a guest pass for Christmas. What an incredible gift! Today's weather was perfect for exploring the spectacular gardens, grounds, paths, and exhibits. The orchids alone are worth the trip! But you'll enjoy far more...sculptures and artwork, daffodils, hostas, snowdrops, redbuds, oaks and maple trees, hydrangeas, and so much more. You can stroll, sit, ride a golf cart (extra $), push a stroller or wheelchair, or hold hands with your sweetheart. Whether you go alone to journal and sketch or to behold the beauty of creation with others, you won't be disappointed!

A great place to walk & take in the beauty of nature. Sidewalks throughout so it's easy to navigate strollers or wheelchairs. Snacks & boxed lunches available, beer, wine & other beverages sold. A great kids play area! Plenty of restroom stops if you are bringing kids. And a great gift shop! We loved it.

Beautiful... very peaceful... very big! Kids loved the "Fortopia" area. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful.. and patient & kind - I had to leave my backpack purse outside of the Butterfly House for the sake of the butterflies, and they made sure nobody bothered it or ran off with it. The bathrooms were cool, clean, and we'll maintained. It was a very hot day and there were water stations and water-fans scattered around to help cool us off. We had a great time. Tiring, but nice. :)

Visited during Festival of Lights. Was beautiful! Really enjoyed the walk through. Took 4yo and 7yo, they enjoyed the displays. Not going to lie, got a bit cold at times but the warming centers definitely helped us keep going. Waited about 20-30 mins to see Santa. I recommend going with 2 adults, one can stand in line while the other takes kid[s] inside the children's center where it's warm and they can write their letter to Santa. Might make this a yearly trip!

Powell Gardens is a kid friendly, beautiful and extensive garden. They have maps readily available at the front desk. There are plenty of areas available for seating to enjoy the view at any point of the walking areas. You hear streams and birds all throughout as well. Around June there are many butterflies 🦋 out and about. Overall it was a pleasant experience!

This is such a great Botanical Garden, they always have wonderful festivals and exhibitions here as well. A couple of my favorites are Dark Forest in the fall and Festival of Lights for Christmas. Most of the paths here are wide, mostly flat, concrete. It's very handicap accessible with nice indoor facilities and fireplaces give it great ambience. It's also a great value.

My husband surprised me with tickets to the butterfly festival for our anniversary and we weren't disappointed. They had a tropical butterflies 🦋 walk through area, and a moth cave which we both enjoyed. Then we strolled the grounds and enjoyed the beautiful displays.
We spent over 3 hours there walking and enjoying all the different trails and garden areas and still didn't see everything.
100% recommend you visit, even the kiddos will love it with the splash fountains and playgrounds!

Wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring a jacket forsure as it cooled off quite a bit. It's a fun venue in the woods. The hot apple cider was very good. Nachos looked yummy. Quite a few different things on the menu. A good selection of beer and wine as well. Loved the Firepits they a nice touch. Great views from the tower overlooking the Gardens. As far as the Dark Forest it was really well done. It's an immersive light show with a few characters in the path dancing. My wife struggled with the mile long walk. She would of liked to of had a bench somewhere to rest. She toughed it out though. It was a little confusing figuring how to get out of that place. Not enough signage or attendant's helping with that. Overall it was a fun experience. A little pricey but the propane alone probably cost them a thousand a night. Worth the visit.

The Starlight Theatre is a popular and iconic outdoor theater in Swope Park that hosts Broadway shows, rock concerts and other productions. The theater's community theater stage features free shows before tickets go on sale for the main attraction.
First time at Starlight, what an exceptional venue! What a great evening! The seats are great, the views are great, the concessions were good and not even too outrageously priced. The drive out after the show was even smooth, easy, and quick.
Bill Perkins — Google review
Not really a bad seat and the sound system is great! Parking is easy, but depending where you park there could be a little bit of a walk to the gates. There is a steep ramp/incline after getting through security, some may have to go slow up the hill. The folding plastic seats are comfortable, roomy (seat and leg room both). The seats are also well marked by section, row, and number. There are LOTS of helpful staff members everywhere to guide you to seats or tell you where to find food, drinks, restrooms, merchandise, etc. Concessions are available to either side of the stage or at the very back, where there is also a plaza with tables to sit and eat. Starlight is cashless, accepting cards or digital payments, and each transaction asks for a tip (you can edit the percentage). They allow one sealed water to be brought in per person, up to 32 ounces. The box office phone staff are refreshingly polite and helpful. I've been to Starlight many times over decades and always enjoyed attending both plays and concert here.

Great venue. There is not a bad seat in the house. They play the music a bit loud so I would recommend anyone with sensitive ears to bring ear protection especially for kids. Vendor pricing is reasonable with quality on par for events. Pay the extra for concrete parking (if you pay in advance it is cheaper than at the door). The grounds around the venue are fun to let the kiddos roam a bit to get their wiggles out.

I went to Starlight for the first time ever on Saturday 5/18/24 with my daughter, my friend, and her daughter. We were made aware of the clear bag policy. However, it also stated on their signs that a bag no bigger than 6.5 x 4.5 could also be carried in but required a search. I carry a wallet that is just this size for events like this. I was told that I had to take it back to the car because the policy had changed recently. The policy did change 5/3/24 but the policy still stayed bags no bigger than 6.5 x 4.5 would be allowed in even if they weren’t clear. We also were told that there would be no activities inside the theater on one side of the park but when we walked around to the other gate we were told where to line up for activities. My first impression of Starlight Theater was not a pleasant one! It seems that they definitely need to communicate to their staff about policy changes and what the policy actually says. As well as activities that take place inside the gates. Also, if they want to go to clear bags only then their signage at events needs to be updated or taken down until the right signage is available.

This truly iconic theater has been bringing top notch entertainment at an affordable price to Kansas City for over 70 years! The starlight theater and the dedicated staff are one of the many unique venues that make Kansas City a great place to live , work and raise a family. Thanks to the generous support from multiple generations of benevolent citizens we can enjoy this terrific theater with our family hopefully for many years to come. I have personally enjoyed not only popular Broadway productions but also music concerts, comedy acts and now I have experienced Van Gogh Alive, an deep dive interactive look at the life of the great artist himself. My wife and I attended this event last night and enjoyed every moment of it. I highly recommend this event that is worth the price of admission. We both learned a great deal about his life , his friends, his challenges and how these things effected his art. A great story told at a classic venue. Don't miss it!

Starlight is a Kansas City classic. A beautiful outdoor venue with clean site lines and good sound. I've seen concerts, Broadway shows, magicians, variety shows and all have been enhanced by the unique atmosphere. My first trip to Starlight was 40 years ago and most recent was last week - they've done a great job of keeping the facility clean, well repaired and up to date.
On our most recent visit we got the buffet beforehand. It was good but not spectacular and the conditions were rather hot. I'd only recommend if the weather is cooperative.
Pro tip seats a bit further back and higher up catch the breeze and can be more comfortable if the weather is hot.

Wish this venue sold out as much as it should. Best venue in KC in my opinion.
75% of acts that play sandstone should be playing here., better prices, staff, vibe, location, scenery etc etc etc!

This is the first time we've ever attended this venue, and it was a 5-Star all around! The seating was great, plenty of room and the view was wonderful! I'd say there's "not a bad seat in the house!" The people were great along with the staff! The facility was impressive and easy to navigate in and out of! When the crowd stands up. the airflow circulation is cut off so if it's a humid or warm day, be prepared! Parking was easy with plenty of staff navigating the route for you to follow! The building is "fun!" The acoustics are loud and easily heard! They resonate throughout the entire complex quite easily! And they sound "really good!" You're watching the concert and just start looking around at how beautiful and captivating the stage and building really is! The food is good, and drinks flow from several different directions all around you! It's worth visiting and watching an event! It's not the safest part of Kansas City, so find an area "away" from the venue and "inquire" prior to making reservations during your planning stages! Be smart! Enjoy, it was one of the best!

This was my first trip to the Starlight. I will definitely be back! This venue is amazing. From ample parking to amazing sound, it really is a great spot for a concert. Plus the grounds are gorgeous! There are at least 4 buildings of restrooms that I seen (there could be more). They were very clean and air conditioned (which was wonderful for the 97+ degree day that it was! ) The seats are nice with enough leg room! There are at least 6 food vendors there. You can get everything from pizza to street tacos, to burgers and chicken! Plus the standard popcorn and nachos. The show was spectacular and it didn't even take long to get out of the parking lot after the show was over! I'll definitely make the 3 hour drive for more shows there!

The zoo is a large, state-of-the-art facility that is home to many different kinds of animals. It has five themed areas, each with its own set of animals. The Polar Bear Plunge is especially popular among children, as it's home to Nakita the polar bear.
Kansas City Zoo is pretty incredible. The sheer size of the zoo makes for a great time that can last for hours. The layout is done very well and the ability to travel either on foot or with the tram or sky ride is very convenient. The exhibits are spacious and always seem to have great enrichment for the animals to enjoy. You can tell that Kansas City Zoo truly cares about the wildlife they take care of. The staff and docents are very knowledgeable and helpful and the merchandise is very fun and unique. I can’t say enough great things about this zoo!

We had an amazing time! Since we went on Sunday, not everything was open, but that’s okay!
The Staff was all so friendly and informative! That was very appreciated! The Train and Tram operators we very crowd pleasing. I am in a wheelchair and they had the ramp down, ready for me to load up, as soon as they send me headed that way!
My biggest complaint, as is with most places like this, the price of a bottle of Water was well over $3 for a 20 oz bottle. There were 19 of us in total, 7 being kids. More affordable would have been nice. There were stations to fill the bottles, but the water was lukewarm, at best.
The giant Flowers, and other crafted statues made things look so fun! We, of course, loved all the animals and how clean their habitats were.
We’re already planning our trip for after Labor Day next year to be able to go to the new aquarium.

I always love going to the zoo! It is really cool to me that they have some enclosures set up with natural trees and lots of open space for the animals. The kangaroos being out of an enclosure is also really nice too! I just think there are some places that could use updating and the polar bear definitely needs the changes to come first, that polar bear never looks happy and I really hope something is done to make it better for that animal. Overall, hope to be back soon! Thank you for a great experience at the KC zoo!

This weekend, I went to the Zoo to see the wildly anticipated new Aquarium. I made my reservation online, which was very easy to do. It is very nice that the aquarium ticket is included with your zoo ticket since, as of right now, the aquarium has reservations. You have to show up at your time of the reservation, but you can enter the zoo at any time of the day of your ticket; the aquarium is a good size, they have a description of what to look for, and they have staff answering questions along the way, they have bathrooms (all genders and a family one ) inside the aquarium and a little store before exiting the aquarium, definitely worth it, super fun for kids a new activity to enjoy with the family.

Thank you for sharing the animals with us! We went the first week of December and had a blast! Lots of stations were closed but we came to see animals and we were not disappointed!! Be sure to bring quarters for souvenir penny making and for food to feed the goats and camels 🐫 We also came back next evening for GloWild and enjoyed that just as much! Dress with warm layers! Like all zoos, there is a ton of walking between exhibits. We loved the Aquarium touch tanks!! A++ experience for our family!

The zoo was great. We learned the best time to visit is when they open or when they close. The animals are more active during those times. They like to nap during the day.
There was beautiful landscaping, beautiful lake, and flowers that smelled amazing. Lots of picnic areas. Great family outing. We also thought it was a great place for a date.

This was my first time here and I spent 3.5 hours visiting on a Friday. There are many enjoyable attractions for the whole family. The zoo is large so I would recommend wearing comfortable shoes, lightweight clothing and to bring a water bottle. There are water fountains where you can refill your bottles which is great. Misting stations allow you to walk through water mist to cool down, important since there's a lot of hot concrete and a lot of walking involved. If you're a KC resident, the zoo sends out free admission coupons a few times a year. I highly recommend visiting!

Pack some water if you plan to take the hike down to Africa, if you do it will be worth it! There are a lot of ways to take shortcuts through the zoo: trains, boats, a tram, the sky safari and the carousel... although that last one just took me in a circle.
The zoo is absolutely fantastic and I can't wait for the aquarium to be opened. We were able to see most every animal while we were there and got some great photos.

I've been to many zoos through the years, but this one is always in my top 3. The exhibits are up close and personal, the staff is always friendly, and the zoo is clean and well-kept. There are lots of opportunities to interact with the animals, and the animals always seem happy, entertained, and well-cared for. My son loves the "endangered level" scale on the signs, and was super excited to see an animal that is extinct in the wild. Lots of baby animals too.

Penguin March Sat/Sun at 11am through February! One of the single greatest things at a zoo I’ve ever seen. Live, out of cage, walk right up to you, and almost shake your hand!! If you like interactive such as the stingray petting pool, the penguin March is by far as unique and much more surprising! The polar bears are active in winter, and the aquarium is delightfully well stocked with swimming things! Friendly personalities and great zoo-tenders (people tending the animals not chicken bites lol) I like how convenient everything is in this zoo. What an amazing birding experience along with all the rest. Would make this a stop while in KC.

It was a warm January day so we decided to try the zoo. Best zoo trip to date! We got front row parking and no lines! I actually got to touch a stingray for the first time because there was no line! The new aquarium was great my kids really enjoyed it.

Sought out some photography inspiration at the zoo, and it didn't disappoint! It has plenty of signage and maps posted to direct you. Very child friendly with activities and areas dedicated specifically for them. If you purchase your tickets online, you'll save some money. $25 at the door, but online, 3 days in advance, they are $20. The new aquarium is lovely, and there is no additional charge to enter. Staff was friendly as well.

Beautiful exhibits. Nice clean zoo. Spread out and not congested at this time. Grand kids enjoyed the day, great for young children and Parents as well. Will be back soon to view the exhibits again. Well worth the trip.

What a fun zoo! We stopped here on a whim on a Wednesday morning after a concert the previous day, because we figured it would be fairly empty during the middle of the week. Ended up being a great idea, as it wasn't crowded at all, and we even got a couple small tours to ourselves from the friendly and knowledgeable employees.
Tons of great animal exhibits, including gorillas, tigers, elephants, and even polar bears. Probably nearly a thousand different animals, if I had to guess. We thought we'd only spend a few hours there, and almost stayed until closing time, as there was so much to see. It's not so big that it's overwhelming, but plenty large enough to get a lot of walking in, and see a ton of exhibits. What amazed me is even though it was a very hot day (in the 90's), almost every animal was active and easy to observe from the viewing areas.
Had a great time, and the zoo was very clean as well. Keep up the great work!

What a fun zoo! A family member told me they'd visited prior and didn't see everything with the time they'd given themselves because there is so much. They suggested I visit earlier in the day and I am so glad I listened. This is definitely a zoo to spend the whole day at! I was impressed with how clean it was despite how many guests were visiting. There were some exhibits with a sign that mentioned some animals might not be in view but we were actually able to see everything (with the exception of the few that were off exhibit). There is a great variety of species and some cool experiences like the stingray touch area and aviaries. We got the unlimited ride passes and it was worth the money. My daughter got to enjoy the carousel and transport rides several times. While there were a lot other guests visiting, we never had to wait in line for rides or transportation. We did spend a good amount of time waiting for Dippin' Dots and to enter the stingray building though.
*Be prepared to walk for parking. It fills up fast!

Very cool zoo with lots to see, with a huge aquarium/sea exhibit coming on 09/01/23 that cost hundreds of millions. Very excited to see that. Only complaint is the lake of drinking stations or vending machines. Also the ferry ride to get to one side of the park to the other closed down wile we were on the far side, and it was still running. We spent about 30 minutes lost with no help as there are lack of signs.
Suggestion: paint sidewalks to where you need to leave the place.

It’s a good zoo. It has a train with a really fun tunnel, along with a carousel (but it doesn’t play any music which we felt was weird), both are three dollars a ride with 2 and under free with an adult who needs a ticket. They do have family bathrooms so that both mom or dad can change babies. It was HOT at 98 degrees the day we went and the hard part was not having much shade at all on the walking paths. Other zoos we have been to do such a good job with that and I really felt like this is what the zoo was missing. Thankfully they do have a lot of indoor things like stingrays and tropical and penguins to help cool off. I did see one water bottle fill up place I would guess there are more…. But I wanted one and hoped it would show itself and I never found it.

Kansas City Zoo and Aquarium is pretty good. Today was our 3rd ever visit. The zoo is very well laid out. It is clean. The animals seem very well cared for. You can spend all day and have a great time. This was our 1st visit to the new aquarium. It was nice. Honestly, much smaller than we expected it to be. Really nice enclosures that were unique to other aquariums.
Here's the downside. You really have to go on a weekday, early, during the school year if you want to avoid the crowds. We went today, a Sunday in the afternoon and it was mayhem. People are pretty rude and will just cut in front of you. The aquarium is packed even though it's by reservation only. It's just overall not fun if you go on a weekend or afternoon.
My wife and I don't have children and we have been able to go during the week during school hours, and it's so much more enjoyable. You can freely walk the zoo without being trampled by strollers, children and their inattentive parents.
Overall, it's a great zoo. You just have to know what you're in for or, go during optimal hours.

It was fun. I really enjoyed seeing all the animals. I and my wife went on a weekday so it would be less crowded. Also, if you're not a fan of other people's kids, you'll be disappointed. A lot of those kids acted wilder than the animals.

It was fun, there's an area that the kangaroos can just wonder around you. There was quiet a bit open which I was surprised since it was Dec 8, so that was nice. I was upset they didn't have any souvenir cups. We stayed for the lights, that was lots of fun. The food we got at the one restaurant was actually good food so that was nice. The train was having some issues so that was disappointing that we only got to ride it once an we bought the unlimited wrist band. Nothing we can do about that. The sky safari was fun.

It was cooler, but still got to see a good amount of animals. Of course, I could spend all day in the aquarium. Just fascinating.
I do have a few things to point out though...... While they have improved the tiger exhibit from yesteryear, it is still not acceptable... Please help me get this out. If they can provide the lions such a large inclusive, they can do the same for the poor tigers. They still have so much land. While I love the aquarium, they should have focused on being the tiger exhibit and the Jaguar exhibit as well. Fix what you got before adding others. Just saying.

Wednesday weather was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the zoo and aquarium in Kansas City. I've enjoyed Kansas City for over fifty decades as a resident and I haven't been to the zoo in twenty-five years when I was a young mother. Our zoo and new aquarium are worth the visit and it may take an individual over eight or nine hours to see everything. My niece and I were here for three hours in the nice afternoon warm weather. We got to see maybe about a third of the zoo on the front and aquarium side. I will definitely be back to see more in the near future!

This zoo is Huge!
So many amazing critters to see and experience. They have trains, a sky tram, and you can even rent animal scooters to make your way around this behemoth area.
The sky tram is super fun! The animal scooters are also extremely fun, but at 35¢ a mile, it can get rather expensive.
There are multiple "wings" of different parts of the world. Immerse yourself in Australia, Africa, and don't forget the new aquarium!
Seriously, prepare yourself to be walking all day long if you want to see everything. My family and I spent three hours just in Africa! There are plenty of restaurants and snack stations along the way. A nice kids area right next to the area where you can feed and pet goats!
This zoo can get extremely busy, more so on holidays such as Spring Break, or on the weekends. I recommend buying your tickets ahead of time. If you think your family wants to do the tram or trains, you can buy a pass "package" along with your tickets so you don't have to wait in the long lines.
Definitely going to get your steps in if you visit this zoo, and I recommend you do.

It's a decent zoo, not too big nor too small. This means if you get there in 1st hour of the day, you can visit the entire zoo on foot.
I prefer to visit it at around 10 am , as the kids can have plenty of time to observe, take rest/snack break in a while, and see the entire zoo with much rush.
There is a Choo Choo train, a sky car, and a couple of more fun rides... if you are spending the entire day with kids and family,I feel that it's a better deal to take a combo ride package for 9- 12 dollars (I might be confused about the exact amount). As the package provides unlimited access to these rides and kids love doing it multiple times....
Avoid a visit after 2-3 pm , because you won't get sufficient time to see all the attractions.
My favorites were tiger, gorilla, lions, sting ray tank, penguins, etc
There are lots of beautiful places for sightseeing and relaxing.

Awesome animals! Food and drink too expensive. Tram ride to Africa is a scam, total waste of hard earned money. You don't see animals along the way like you'd expect. Very nice train ride and the conductor was interesting and entertaining. Skylift is totally different and fun, but the description says your feet are dangling over the animals, leading you to believe you're fairly close and you'll see alot.... Well, we saw geese, a heron, three ostrich, a few zebras and a bunch of Oryx, not that many and not close. Disappointed there. Twenty minutes to sit on the lift while they repaired the ride also. Boat cruise was still closed for the season. The free roaming kangaroos were amazing! Aquarium is really nice, the sharks would come so close to the glass. In our experience, they don't usually get that close. Penguin exhibit was the best we've seen. Lots of fun stuff for the little ones if you're lucky enough to have some!

The last two years our family has purchased the year membership and loved it! Affordable for our large family, able to visit any time we want, and get discounts throughout the park. We love the new aquarium that was added and all the exhibits. We plan to purchase the membership for years to come!
*Note: adults, stop banging on the glass or whistling at animals like they are domestic creatures. It is upsetting for those that actually care about the animal's welfare! It's one thing for a young child who doesn't know any better, but adults? Come on now!

Fun to walk around and the sky safari is nice too, my only complaint is the PRICES. At the new aquarium the price of an average sized snow globe was 43 DOLLARS. 2 small meals cost 33 dollars, and normal snow cone is 6 dollars. Everything is extremely expensive aside from the rides.

First time back this year and went to see the new aquarium, and wow, they did an amazing job on it!!! The zoo has really come a long way since I was a kid to see all the improvements to it and added extra stuff. Not as much walking to see stuff now it's as you walk. You see something dang near every corner. Really did enjoy the new aquarium, and almost all of the animals were out today. It would for sure be something if you happen to drop into the city to go to. There are tons of areas to see animals and not just one spot and overcrowded. We got the yearly membership and going 2 times pays for the basic as a Jackson County resident, so it is well worth it.

So much walking. Lol! Great zoo, many animals in hiding but was expected because it was quite chilly. We saw a lot that we loved. Our Lil guy was super happy seeing the sea turtle and the larger turtles inside. They have a pretty nice aquarium for a zoo, very neat! Polar bear was active and cool. Other than walking 15k steps, was a great day!
Really enjoyed the time learning about collecting tree sap to make syrup. The nature exhibits were great to see also.

Recently we visited the 40th anniversary and they had a free conservation carnival. It seemed to be organized well and lots to do for the whole family. Great food from local food trucks were on site, along with smokey the bear! Lots of information booths and games. As for burr oaks on a normal day. The trails are always well kept and very beautiful local scenery.

A really beautiful nature area in Blue Springs. It’s very close to I-435 so it’s easy to get here. We did the Bethany Falls loop trail and it was amazing. Lots of beautiful rock formations, a creek, valley, trees, wildlife and even a prairie that is accessible from this trail and leads to another trail. This particular trail (Bethany Falls) is not super short but also only took us maybe an hour, it was really a perfect distance and didn’t have much up and down so it’s easy to do. I forgot the mileage but it’s a moderately simple trail to follow and anybody can do it. We saw young children on the trail with their grandma so if they can do it, you can do it. I don’t own dogs but if you do, keep them at home for this one. Not sure about the rest of the park but the Bethany falls area does not allow dogs on the trail. There is many other trails in this park so if you have animals check those ones out if you want to bring a pet. Their website may have information about that I’m not sure. Final thoughts— one of the best nature spots I’ve been to in the Kansas City metro. It was clean, well marked, had information placards, benches etc. If you are looking for a beautiful and unique area to visit near KC this would be it! Oh and we didn’t see a waterfall but it was beautiful nonetheless and should be considered if you like the outdoors. Maybe there is a waterfall somewhere but I like rock formations better anyways and this definitely provided lots of those. Have fun, leave no trace and get outside and enjoy this place.

Great place for a walk in nature. You can use the trails even when the building is closed, provided the gates are open. I really appreciate a natural area being designated for conservation, free from (most) human intervention.

Hikes the Bethany Falls trail but didn't go all the way to the falls due to heat. Will definitely hike this trial again. Beautifully tree lined with these incredible rock forms.

Moved near the Burr Oak Woods a two weeks ago and I feel so blessed to have such an amazing piece of preserved nature in my back yard. Great walking/running trails with a decent variety of lengths with fantastic views and fun informational plaques about the area along the trails! Keep your eyes peeled when walking through the trails because you will see some of the cutest and coolest animals.

I live very close to this Conversation Center. The area is keep really nice and there are several hiking trails to enjoy. A must see. I ride my bike on the roads but it is foot traffic only on the trails. There is also Pink Hill Park next door which has the Blues Springs BMX track. That park also has baseball field and soccer fields along with tennis courts.

I walked two of the trails there and they were so pleasant. Nice little ponds in between the walk. They have restroom facilities at each entrance, from what I saw. Got to see a deer, bunch of squirrels, and some kind of bird walking the trail with us. Lol

I almost did not visit here because Google Maps says it's closed. You can walk most of the trails, though the close the gates at 8pm. Super fun, beautiful, and very easy trails to follow. There are little "adventure" trails from the marked trails, though I would only explore those with a friend or two. I used the AllTrails app to navigate and it was pretty much on! Some trails are dirt and grass, and others are paved or gravel. You can pick your own hike, or adjust on the fly. It's another gem of a trail area for eastern Jackson county! I would definitely recommend if you enjoy trails.

What a lovely space! Had never been to Burr Oak before, but I will be going back soon. Was very disappointed in the plant sale as many of the items were sold out by the time I arrived, & we arrived at 1215! My Sisters & Mom got there at 12 ~ event was advertised to open at 1230 ~ & said the people were already grabbing up everything in sight. Just disappointing about the sake, not the place itself!

Been here literally hundreds of times over the last 30 plus yrs. I love coming here! Great place to bring kiddos for nature classes, field trips or any time they are open. The nature center has big fish tank, snakes, frogs, turtles and tons of taxidermy animals and activities for the kids. There is a tree house with a slide. There is also an outside play ground behind the nature center. We love all the trails! The best trail for kids 3 and under is behind the nature center. The prettiest trail and my favorite is Bethany Falls Trail. There are a few more. There is a pine grove right past the entrance on the right. It is the so beautiful. Great place for pictures. They are requiring permits after July for photography anywhere in the park. You definitely want to wear bug spray and bring a water. They do have bathrooms by the entrance of the trails and at the nature center. You can pack a picnic this is a great place to have a family picnic. This would be great place for a picnic date too. There is poison ivy all over this place if you go off trails. They do lock the gates at dusk. There are no bike trails. They do not allow dogs either unless they are a service animal. They also do not allow you to fish the ponds here.
