Exhibits & videos detailing the impact of the Oregon Trail & pioneer settlement on Native tribes.
An incredibly eye opening experience! We left with a completely different view of the history we've been taught compared to reality, so sad, and wished we could apologize to everyone on behalf of all the awful things we did to all the native tribes. Very informative along with stunning displays and pictures. Incredibly clean, well laid out, and the staff is very friendly. We believe everyone should experience this museum to understand the truth of our nation's history.

It was very educational. Enjoyed everything it had to offer.

The Institute is a rich, deeply moving experience of immersion in Native culture and history in the Columbia Plateau region. It is a continuing process of telling a story from the Native perspective that will be worth another visit soon. I appreciate those who have invested themselves in making it such an enriching experience.

We visited with our school. I loved it! It's nice to learn about different indigenous cultures around the U.S. This cultural center focuses on tribes from the Pacific Northwest.

Visited the museum while staying at the Wildhorse RV park. Highly recommend, very informative, and amazing historical displays!

A truly powerful and, at times, sad experience. This was a chance to really get some education on the local tribe and their history. If you live in the area, this is a must. If you don't, you should make the effort regardless. I would recommend this museum to my friends and family.

Our family loved our visit to this fantastic museum. The displays were beautifully designed to take you through time and history. Very immersive. The staff were so friendly too. We got a snack of fry bread and corn and salmon chowder from the cafe and both were delicious. Cute little gift shop too with lots of stuffed animals for the kiddos. I loved this museum and am so grateful for the love and time it took to put together. I also love that they have reserved shaded parking for elders. We should have that everywhere! Go and visit this lovely place.

What a touching and beautiful representation of The Confederated Tribes: Umatilla, Cayuse, Walla Walla. Very thought provoking.
Rosemary Joy Espinosa — Google review
A nice museum to spend
an afternoon learning
about the history of the
Confederated Tribes of
the Umatilla Reservation
- The Cayuse, Umatilla
and the Walla Walla tribes.
The exhibits take you
through the traditional
longhouse, the seasonal
cycle of food, and the
introduction of the horse.
The ancestral lands were
taken by treaty, and the
tribes were forced to
give up their traditional
ways.
The church and boarding
school forced the tribes
to give up their language
and become assimilated
to western ways.
The tribes have in recent
years built a casino, hotel
and other ventures to
bring a better life for the
people.
Located easy of Pendleton
on Highway 84 and behind
The Wildhorse Casino.
A nice stop in the Pendleton
area to learn about the
history, struggles and
future of The Confederated
Tribes of the Umatilla Reservation.
Wildhorse Resort & Casino is a laid-back destination that offers various dining options, a golf course, and an indoor pool. The facility is smoke-free indoors, with smoking only permitted outside. It features amenities such as a bowling alley, arcade, movie theater, and children's entertainment center. The resort also provides comfortable accommodations and a casino for guests to enjoy. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and affordable food at the sports bar during happy hour. Additionally, its convenient location makes it easily accessible from Boise.
Fun gaming (love that it is still a non-smoking facility). Good food options (although we miss the original deli). Lots of family entertainment...swimming, bowling, movies. Tower hotel rooms are clean, comfortable, modern. Friendly and competent staff.

We had fun here! Staff were all very helpful, courteous and friendly. The room was clean and decent but could use a little updating. Not complaining though because we did get a discount! After signing up for the club card we got our second night for $35 because it was a Tuesday night. Nice surprise there! Overall a very pleasant stay.

The good: Nice room, nice casino, great sandwiches, good bartenders, good parking, easy to get to. The not so good: pool was cloudy and smells so we did not get in, check in was very slow. Not just slow but "what in the world are they doing up there?" , slow. We thought about staying a second night but would have had to change rooms so we decided to get a few hours closer to home instead.

Amazing place! We did a golf trip with 16 people and the accommodations and staff of the resort, bar, and course were amazing. The bar manager, Anna, booked us a private area of the bar for 2 nights. The server, Lisa, was incredible! Best server I have ever had! Lastly, the golf course was in amazing shape and everyone who worked at the course was amazing.

Very convenient from Boise! Cleaner rooms, and no smoke in the air. Dealer, restaurant staff, and cashiers were all very friendly- no matter what time of the day! Food at the sports bar is CHEAP and GOOD! the nachos are always my favorite. Happy hour is half off apps, so my boyfriend and I got a whole table of food and a couple drinks for $50! That's a crazy good deal, especially for a casino/hotel. The pho place is tasty, and relatively cheap as well!
They also have a pool and dry sauna to use, as well as a well maintained mini-gym! I haven't utilized the bowling alley or movie theater yet, but I'm very glad there's some things to do aside from gamble! I'm always very impressed, and the slots pay out pretty well, too! They've got a $5 minimum hand that pays 3/2 on blackjack most mid-days, too, which is awesome for a beginner who doesn't want to spend $15 or more a hand anywhere else.
For $60/night at the hotel, it's an amazing place to travel on a budget for a weekend getaway!

Hoping the new tower will be up soon. The first two nights in the tower were great but had to roll down to the old part on Sunday, New Year’s Eve. Getting the buffet back would also be great. Lost or shall I say contributed for the most part, suggest you check out high spade flush (newer card game) or double action combo of 3card poker and let it ride. Had to stand around to much waiting for positions to open at the card tables. If we are standing watching ya’ll are loosing out.

We stayed at this hotel three times now. They have a nice newer tower where the rooms are probably nicer, but we have to stay in the courtyard because of our dog. These rooms are definitely dated but it's nice that they allow dogs. It's very convenient to get outside lots of grassy areas. Hotel also has good restaurants, food court connected theater in bowling alley. Staff here is very friendly. I want to give a shout out to Britney at the front desk who was especially helpful when we needed to extend our stay because of our sick older dog, recuperating from oral surgery.

We love coming to Wildhorse! The Traditions restaurant is delicious as is their food court! We love that they are a smoke free facility so smoking is only allowed outside. They have a bowling alley, arcade, movie theater, children's entertainment center (which is a day care for kids 13 and under), pool, hot tub and of course the hotel and casino. We have stayed many times and utilized all of the facilities. They were all fantastic!!! The children's entertainment center is amazing!!!! They are all so very kind and engaging with the kids. They have. Play structure in there, video games crafts and other fun activities. You pay by the hour and can include meals and drinks for your kids. We love that it's super secure! You present your driver's license when checking them in and out and only you can get them out. I could literally go on and on about Wildhorse! Check it out, you will not be disappointed!

I have always enjoyed my stays at Wildhorse. Rooms are clean, quiet, and reasonable. The Casino is usually busy and it's really nice that it's smoke free. The poker tournaments are well run. You will enjoy the golf course. Good discount on stays and food on Tuesdays for seniors.

Previously had issues years ago when it was under different ownership. Issue was resolved asap and management apologized.
Power happy guard doesn't know how to tell the truth and avoid power struggles. I was crisis trained through Cornell Universities program. The same training cops are required to have. More credentials than private security.
Was treated like I was a liar and like I was crazy even though I've never had a ticket or offense in my life.
I was compliant, wasn't rude, and did exactly as I was told as the moron decided to tell me I was kicked out for 24 hours. Even though it was the first time I was told I wasn't allowed to do what I was doing. Proceeded to tell me it was my last warning even though it was my first. I came back and talked to other departments and they didn't understand why it was an issue to begin with and agreed that the situation didn't need to be handled the way it was.
After being told I couldn't do it anymore, I left and I was followed by a tribal police officer all the way back to town. More than 5 miles which is illegal. Management did not talk to me or tell me what was going on and neither did tribal police. The only person who talked to me was the power happy security guard who of course handled the situation alone.
I told him I was recording and the guard repeated "I know I am." He doesn't need to intentionally gas light and use manipulative statements to subtly irritate others. It's completely unprofessional.
I'll be carrying something from my own personal collection valued at $8k. If I'm forced to throw my own things back I'll pull out the receipts and file charges.
He's lucky I don't file charges to begin with since I have disorders and harassing a person with disorders is a crime. Psychologically manipulating people with disorders is known as abuse too. Treat me like I'm crazy again and I'll press charges against the exact person who did it as well as the company if it's not handled appropriately.

I love this casino! This is my local casino and yeah everyone loses every once in awhile. But I somehow always win jackpots here. I have won jackpots ranging from $500-$5000. This casino also has a kid friendly children's entertainment center and arcade that doesn't charge an arm and a leg! And the rooms are always clean! They also have awesome staff. I would recommend anyone to try this casino out, you won't be disappointed.

Service can do better. It seems like everyone working there is less motivated. Don't get me wrong, you have some workers that make the experience enjoyable, but overall, most seem unhappy to work there. I get it life must be unhappy at times, but the customer is paying for experience and for the service. Just because we are not paying 5 star resort prices does not mean we should take 1 star resort services. A paying customer is a paying customer. It doesn't matter if we tip big or tip small if you don't want us there, then we are glad to our money and spend it where we are appreciated. Everything was okay. I'm going to say it's a 5 star place, but the only thing I recommend is to make every customer's experience the best experience regardless of how much we pay and for goodness sakes please put a smile on your faces. It does not cost anything to treat people nicely, kind, and with respect.

Review is for the casino only. Did not stay in the hotel. Second time here, walking out a winner again so obviously I LOVE this place! I had $150 free play from my last visit and $10 for food. 😀 I only play slot machines but I come in ready to lose it all so if you're not ready to take a loss don't do it! I didn't lose last night tho, or the last visit 😬 Oh, and us truck drivers are HUGELY thankful for providing us with a safe place to park overnight. Thank you thank you THANK YOU!

Had a great time with my family. Great staff that were helpful and friendly. Pretty clean overall. My only complaint is the music videos of choice playing on the big screen for my 2 yr old, 4 yr old, 9, and 11 yr old to see and ask questions about why they were seeing such inappropriate things..... call me old fashioned but my kids arent allowed to see or are familiar with skin showing and mature dancing. 🤔 firework show was pretty cool! Would definitely go again better prepared. Just change the music video selection, pretty please!
Sincerely, a mom trying to raise her kids right.

My only complaint was they needed to clean their hallways. The hallways looked like they haven't been cleaned in a month. The rooms was very nice and cleaned. I just got a little nervous walking down the unkempt hallway but when I got to my room, it was a pleasant surprise. Very nice work to the cleaning people.

Wild experience and a fun New Year's Eve! We spent one night her and 2 additional nights elsewhere due to availability. The room was clean and I had no complaints. The only downside was that to get to the pool you had to walk through the lobby, next to the check in desk and past the gift shop for access. Great weekend overall!

Jen RN, travel nurse from Florida. We were just passing through and stayed for the night, but this definitely looks like a great place for a large group to get together and have a fantastic time.
The RV park is PAVED! Pull-through sites big enough to accommodate our 41 ft toy-hauler. 50 amps! Well maintained grounds. Quiet. Lovely views. I definitely recommend ❣️

Room was out dated and definitely needs new clocks and outlets were worn-out and plug kept falling out. But dinner was good at the sports bar. Didn't do any gambling but a good selection of games and table games too. Valet was good too, they let us park our bikes were they could see them and all was good. Would I stay there again? Definitely, just hopefully they will update the outlets and clock. The room did have a mini fridge and it was quite and worked great and clean.

Rv resort is ran down and could use some attention. Casino is a run of the mill casino. Staff are very friendly. Arcade is nice. Children’s play area is lacking. Food court has excellent food for the price. Ice cream is good as well. We did not partake in the movie theater or bowling so I cannot comment although both look nice.
Ryan Martin — Google review
We went bowling here, and we had a great time, even though we're not good at bowling. A friendly server brought over a pitcher of water and cups for our group. There are a lot of family-friendly options for entertainment, and there is even child care for ages 3 to 13. The sign says your child should be potty-trained because they can not change diapers. The employees in the child care area were very kind.

I loved the fact it has SEMI TRUCK PARKING!
Has shuttle from the parking lot to casino area for us drivers!
It has a clean food court to chill in!
Love the ice cream place & you got your moneys worth for the 3 scoop bowl! It was only $4 you can’t get that at the truck stop! Lol
Movie theater & bowling alley was clean also!
Reasonable prices for movie .. $10 for adult & $9 for small snacks including drink ..popcorn.. & theater sized candy!

2/26/24 stayed one night for my birthday. The room was gross. Carpets badly stained, holes in the curtains. Furniture is very old and has finish worn off and stained, bead spread was dingy tattered and losing threads. Toilet is from an elementary school about 12 inches tall.
It was a Monday night so the good restaurant was closed. No place to get anything but bar food. A diner with an extremely limited menu. When seated they put a sign in your face telling you there’s a 90 minute maximum at the table. Overall a very unsatisfactory experience and won’t be returning. Even though I won money. It’s the furthest one can get from a resort experience….

The Courtyard rooms are old and need updating. The Tower is much nicer.
When I booked my room I wasn't given an option. The casino is nice. Reatuarants were great with excellent food. There's a movie theater and bowling alley. So mich to do!

Gross treatment from the dark-haired lady at the lobby bar. She tried banning me because she thought my ID was invalid & was super rude about it (I had 4 other employees check it throughout my stay and no one had a problem with it, I even joined their club with it) So they need to get their employees on the same page and teach her specifically customer service skills

RV overnight dry camping stay. Great location and lots of amenities at this casino, including a movie theater and bowling alley, ice cream shops, a food court and restaurants...and the casino! The best part is that they do not require RVers to join the players club or register to overnight in the dry camping area of their parking lot. We had a great dining experience at the Traditions Restaurant, too. We walked the family friendly carpeted path at the outer fringes of the casino and hotel to get a bit of exercise after our dinner. We'll be back!

We were detoured here after the I-84 was closed. Wonderful, free RV parking. We went to the sports bar to try and find the Vancouver Canucks game. Everyone tried really hard to find it but unfortunately it wasn't available. Staff here are so amazing
Our server was Samantha, such a sweetheart! It was so busy but she smiled all night. A great place to stop!
Known for wool apparel & blankets, this chain also sells non-wool clothing, decor items & linens.
Such a cute city with lots of shops and an interesting history. The underground tours are very informative. The Tamastslikt cultural institute, just outside of the main streets of Pendleton, gives you a different perspective on the indigenous Americans and how these last 200 years have affected them. I would also absolutely recommend stopping by the Pendleton woolen Mills for wonderfully crafted wool sweaters/ blankets.

Absolute must-stop. We were there on a rainy day and did the tour of the mill. It's not easy for a non-native English speaker to follow everything, also due to the noise from the machines, but despite that it was interesting and great to see the process. Large store attached to it with friendly staff and good deals.

Pointing out sales and explaining pricing. Extremely high prices, I could not find a single product made in USA. Everything in the store is made in China. You are paying for the Pendleton tag but not getting Pendleton products. Very disappointed. I will now cherish my old school Pendleton gear even more.
Update. Do not be confused by the response from Pendleton. Two of us spent 45 minutes looking for a tag made in the USA, never found a single one. Just like China, don't trust Pendleton and their deceptive ways.

First time here. Glad we came. Great displays of history and products. Will return during the week (Mon - Fri) to take the Mill tour.

We love stopping in here. Before reading on, I have to say I graded them down two full stars because their employees are so unfriendly. Not rude, just super cold and unfriendly.
The store is always clean and well stocked. The quality of their mechandise is top shelf. We have three of their blankets, numerous shirts, suitcases, bags...... their goods will last a lifetime. Taking the mill tour, which I have done 6 times over the past 30-years, is a blast.
It's worth a trip here, we just wish they could find a friendly face to hire.

We visited Pendleton Woolen Mills and it was a great hit with the family. They sell blemished blankets at a discount which is a fine way to acquire a Pendleton wool blanket without breaking the bank. I bought a coffee mug and hat. My wife purchased the blanket and she was so pleased. I observed many people leaving who were super happy - one lady was even happy crying.

We stopped o. Our way home from our PNW road trip, purely because we knew my mother-in-law would get a kick out of it. She loves Pendleton! We walked through the store. Found a few fun things for my mom-in-law. The bathrooms were clean. The store was well organized and clean. There were no tour's happeing that day but we could see into the mill through glass doors. Was fun to see the wool and threads stacked up and a blanket being wooven. (I thinks thats what it was anyways.) The staff were friendly and helpful!
Pendleton Underground Tours offers a walking tour that delves into the city's intriguing history, including its shady past involving gamblers, opium dens, and Chinese laborers. The tour explores underground tunnels where Chinese laborers lived while working on regional railroad operations and where illicit businesses like brothels and speakeasies operated with hidden escape tunnels. This unique experience provides insight into Pendleton's captivating past and is a must-do activity in town for those interested in local history.
I've heard people talk about this underground tour and wanted to check it out.
This tour did not disappoint! The history is AMAZING and simply fascinating!
Becky (I think was her name) was our tour guide. She was fabulous! She has a stellar personality and made the tour fun and informative.
There is one downfall-- I wanted more! I didn't want it to end. I wanted to go as far as the underground would take us!
We will definitely do this again! They told us about an adult tour that sounds awesome!

This has been on my bucket list for years and I finally got to cross it off.
The tour guide, Matt Ramirez, was so knowledgeable and entertaining; that place is historical beyond belief.
The historical value of this endeavor is priceless and I commend the Non Profit for this undertaking in doing their part to preserve the history of this area.
The tour itself was fascinating seeing how people were forced to live and how they, as a people, overcame their obstacles.
I'm not proud of the facts this history represents, but it is vital we keep things like this alive, so future generations can learn from it.
It truly is remarkable and a MUST SEE whether you are local and have never been, or just passing through.
There is also a quaint gift shop and the young lady working there was delightful and I found several must haves to take home with me.
It was all well worth the afternoon we spent there!
Just a few of the several dozen pics I took, simply fascinating!

This was a neat thing to do while passing through. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. It was interesting going through the rooms and learning about a shady part of history. So why 4 stars? First, our guide was great, he explained things as we walked through each room. The price was a little high but in todays day and age it was worth it, especially seeing our guide pointed out other local free attractions and let us know if we showed our tickets where we could get discounts. The 3 issues to bring it down a star, first, way to many people on the tour, you are in tight little rooms down underground with no air flow, put that with a big (about 14 people) group it gets hard to breath, plus mid tour 2 people left early because they felt ill, again they where crammed in tiny rooms with us for the last 45 minutes, the second issue is the bathroom situation, they encourage you to drink water as some rooms can be very warm, but for the 1 1/2 hour tour there is no bathrooms, and the third, doing the tour is not easy, your going down stairs, then up stairs, then back down and up and down and up, and the flooring in almost every room is uneven and you have to watch your footing, if you have any difficulties with stairs, or walking in general pass up on this tour. It was interesting and overall a good time and the guide was great, I would recommend doing it if you can get in with a smaller crowd.

Watched bull riding at Happy Canyon. Small but good venue. Expensive beers and whatnot but that's to be expected. The seating moves slightly so that was a little bit anxiety-inducing. Fun all around though!
Pendleton Whiskey Music Festival was pretty freaking awesome. The stadium was just the right size. Parking was a little rough for the event but it was well worth it.

I love the updated stadium seating area I haven't been here in a while and I was really impressed that there was bathrooms on the second floor which was really nice. I wish there was more food options because there was only three food booths to choose from and they weren't the best.

We lucked out on our time at Waterbrook. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time on their patio. We felt like the waitstaff were excellent all around. My wife and I came mostly for the food, but our wine was great too. I had their Chardonnay (I can’t remember what my wife had, but she liked it enough to get a bottle to go!) with their cheese and bacon sandwiches. We got a side of onion rings, which was good too but a bit much. I guess we were hungry!

Wine was good, the charcuterie boards were wonderful. Our server outside was fantastic. However, the long hair gal on Saturday, May 21 working the tasting room approximately 12:20 pm greeting people at the door was atrocious. We were a bridal party- on a chauffeured wine tour- and she snapped at us because we stated a last name for the reservation- and when we stated we were with a tour company, her response was “well that’s what you should have said.” When our chauffeur came out to tell us it was time to Leave for the next stop- we went inside to pay our bill- as our server was very busy taking care of multiple parties- the same gal flipped us attitude- and said “You all need to show patience, your server is busy.” Not sure what this gal’s role actually is- but she needs to be upgraded to “unemployed.”

We made an impromptu stop here because it’s the only winery in Walla Walla that has a full-service kitchen. Boy, were we delighted! We should have made a reservation, but they were kind enough to make it work so we could grab lunch.
The food was incredible, the wine was perfect, but the best part about it was the service. B (Bethany), the tasting room assistant manager, treated us like royalty and took care of everything we could possibly need. She checked on us often enough, but not too often, accommodated our 3 year old and was super positive and thoughtful. The rest of the staff were very kind, as well.
Overall, a 10 out of 10 experience and we will absolutely be back to Waterbrook again and again. Can’t wait for the summer when their gorgeous patio (which overlooks an incredible sunset) is warm enough to utilize. We love Waterbrook!

Beautiful location, attentive staff, delicious food, and excellent wine! We began with a charcuterie board with excellent cheeses, fruit, bread, and meats. So beautifully presented. Caprese salad in a generous serving, Ziti Sugo alla Bolognese, followed by Klickers Marionberry Cheesecake, New York style. And red and white wines paired with each course. Absolutely delicious!

Took my parents here for breakfast and wine tour and it was amazing. The area is nice, the food was great, and the wine was amazing. My wife and I got the mimosa flight thinking we would get a few small mimosas, but ended up splitting a full bottle of champagne and had 3 different juices to choose from that were all great. Everyone really enjoyed their food as well!

I had a great experience here. The wine was great and I really appreciate the recommendations the staff was able to give. Sky was a great server and so was the woman who gave me a sample of her favorites of the purple sticky note. One of the wines of the flight was not my favorite so she brought me a different red instead. This place was gorgeous and had a nice path to walk, a bridge and fire pits. I will definitely be back! Thanks so much!

We went to Waterbrook on a group tour with 25 people. The Events Manager, Bryce, was great to work with and actually waited on our group onsite. We had a private area on the patio with a beautiful setup. Bryce was very knowledgeable with the wines and answered all our questions. They brought out charcuterie boards that were amazing! The lemon cheese was my favorite! The winery dog was super cute and we enjoyed watching him dive for frogs. Our entire group loved the experience and wine!

Tasting experience was great here. There are a number of flights you can choose from, and all the dishes we ordered tasted excellent to be paired with the wine. There’s seating options indoors and outside.

My husband + I came over memorial weekend w our two kids. Biggest bummer was that their fryer was broken and they didn’t seem to be staffed enough to be serving the patio and running the inside. But we had made a reservation online the night before and it automatically blocked out 2 hrs on my calendar and we were in fact there for two hours, so I can’t complain. If you’re looking to be in and out, this may not be the place for you. My husband and I got a flight and we all ordered food. Everything was good and the staff were very friendly, even w us having two younger kids. My 5yo was really into the pond and lawn games, which was mainly why we came. Really pretty place and it worked out well for us.

Darren was great host to us, kindness and information! Beautiful property if you only have half a day, come to this one with restaurant and tasting all in gorgeous room. Our teenage kids had a nice time too. We ordered Chef's Board $16 and a flight of wine to share . See the wine menu attached.
Very tasty award winning wines on a lovely property that has a playground for children! That's a winning combination!!
We enjoyed getting personalized service from friendly staff on a slow day that made it possible to also push our daughter on swing! The Cabernet Franc was a highlight for us! But everything was worth the drive out to school house, even the non award winners. The whole family loved spending time here, and we even saw a rainbow on the way back to the car!

Stopped in on way through for a tasting. Young lady was very knowledgeable and it was a great experience… Wine was great too… tasting was $20 but received that waived if you bought any wine… which we did…

Excellent wines and Ciera was an great host. The old school house building is cool. The only detractor was that the room we were in was very loud which made it hard to hear our host describing the wines. It was raining the day we went, but we would go back again on a nice day and use the outdoor seating area. We left with several bottles. L’Ecole had some of the best wines we’ve tasted in Walla Walla.

I visited once in 2010 and now again in 2022. They're consistently friendly and have an amazing space! If you can get a school house tour, you should! Back in 2010 I was a white wine drinker and loved their Sémillon. Now I'm a red wine drinker but I STILL love their Sémillon!
Their staff is also super knowledgeable. I included a picture of a rock from one of their growing regions and the info about how it's different.
Worth the visit, would go again :)

Fantastic wines! Very knowledgeable, friendly staff. Nice setting in an old school house that they renovated. Definitely recommend visiting this winery.
Shirlene Betts — Google review
Enjoyed the venue. Outside, the replica schoolhouse bell is a pleasure to ring. Beware the lovely Loud ring. The schoolhouse was founded in 1915. Longtime W² family refurbished the school which closed in '74. A gorgeous staircase from a local Orphanage was rescued before its demolition and added to the schoolhouse. The wine is quite unique. The history is a wonderful part of the visit. Downstairs is an original water fountain and a mural created by former students. The main room has a piece of furniture from a local bank. Also a lead glass window behind the bar counter with the letter 'F' in the center. The book collection within the 'library' shelves is amazing. Don't let the new Highway 12 bypass let you miss this fab bit of history. A big thank you to the Baker Ferguson family for this save.

It was a quiet day there being it was the Friday after Thanksgiving. What a beautiful old school house restored and a delight to have a wine tasting. The lady helping us was awesome as she was professional and courteous. The bonus was the nice wines too.

Fantastic winery in an old school house building. Beautiful ambiance inside and lots of seating outside. You can also take the wine and food and sit on picnic tables in the lawn. Excellent selection of wine, especially the Syrah. Staff are friendly and know their wines. One of the must-see wineries in Walla Walla.

Very cool winery with a unique history. The grounds set in an old elementary school. The staff is great, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the history of the winery and about the wines themselves. We really enjoyed the tasting, and enjoyed trying the flagship Ferguson afterwards as well! Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to try some good wines in a simple locale.

Old French schoolhouse has tons of character and interesting layout. Tastings done inside and outside. Reasonable prices
What a gem! The wines were excellent! The hospitality was even better. Terry was an absolutely awesome host. We sampled the wines on the flight list plus a couple more. Terry answered all our questions patiently and demonstrated his mastery of the WC portfolio. Free shipping on an order of 6 bottles or more was a pleasant surprise. My wife had to have some of their "pizza" wine. A solid blend. And I could not live without their cab franc. No reservation required. You'll be glad you stopped!

I can't give this place enough stars. It was the 6th or 7th winery our wine group visited on our Walla Walla trip, and even though all 8 of us have very different tastes and preferences in our wine, it was hands down the undisputed favorite for all 8 of us.
The grounds themselves are nice and quaint. Nothing fancy. The tasting room again is a small room with modest furnishings. The wine being poured was sensational. They offered 2 different tastings and each pair of us got 1 of each so as to taste them all. Nothing was poured, it was all delicious, and several were revisited. We bought a case of wine between us all which had not yet been done. Some prices were very reasonable and others bordered on too expensive. However in my case, when deciding on a $70 bottle (for example) the quality and taste was 100% worth the cost. No one in the group was at all surprised or phased at the prices for these wines, which is not true of every winery we visited.
On a next trip we will be visiting a whole new set of wineries (there's over 150) with the exception of Woodward. This place is just that good.

We are new to the Washington wine scene and came out to better understand it. We had four well reviewed wineries on our list and Woodward was by far our favorite. Well executed wines that should age well. We bought six different wines. And the tasting room scene was fun as well. We’ll keep exploring but so far Woodward is our favorite.

We stopped at this winery on the way out of town and we’re were blown away by how fantastic it was! The wine is a great selection of mostly reds, but great uplift and flavor! There is a small parking lot outside but you can also walk over from the winery next door. The tasting room is very inviting with plenty of seating outdoors.

My wife and I just spent two amazing hours with the team at Woodward Canyon. Scott and Terry did an awesome job of explaining and educating us on why the wines were what they were. Opened up some items for us not on the tasting list. Very generous and friendly, plus we enjoyed our chatting with our neighbors from Edmonton. We left feeling well taken care of and special. It made our anniversary weekend. Thanks again! We will be back.

Beautiful 1800's building in downtown Echo restored for the Winery, huge Ball room with gorgeous chandelier and cozy outside seating! Wonderful local wines and live music! A must see destination in the area.
We had the wonderful experience of sipping wine and enjoying the beautiful garden patio at Echo Ridge Cellars last night.
We started with a tasting flight and each wine was delicious making it difficult to decide which one to choose as our bottle for the evening. In the end we ordered the Rodeo Red. As fun as this wine sounds it was seriously delicious.
The owners Jay and Kim circulated around the guests and we were lucky to be able to chat with them for a while and hear their stories.
A very fun evening, Jay and Kim, and we are so happy to have met you.

***Spread the word!*** Ours was a tasting experience that exceeded our expectations and one we highly recommend. The owners are a husband and wife team that are living out their dream. They have assembled a talented wine making team with one of 168 Master Sommeliers inputting on the wines. Every wine we sampled was spot on and the bottles were reasonably priced! The pours were generous and we sniffed and sipped our way through a few single varietals on our way to Bordeaux Blends that would give the Grand Crus of France a run for their money. The tasting venue was a transformed historic grain elevator. I found myself transported back to a time when I used to go with my dad to one in Arkona, Ontario Canada with wheat from our hobby farm. Our host capped off the experience with a sample of their version of a Ruby Port which also held up and did Oregon proud. Our group made our way to Oregon on our way to Washington on yet another of our 'follow the grape' themed vacations. We have been to Napa and Sonoma, Tuscany, Bordeaux, Rioja and Porto amongst other lesser known countries and regions. Echo Ridge winery is the real deal and a must visit.

Lakeside park with boating, swimming, hiking, biking & a fishing pond amid arid sagebrush hills.
Nice State Park just outside of Hermiston. Hat Rock itself is very picturesque and can be accessed by a gravel trail. There's a boat ramp and a lot of green space, too bad the place was basically empty. Free to visit.

One of those truly magical places. It is still basically wild but has a ton of history and some serious variety of nature. There is recently a suspected arson fire that destroyed quite a bit of wilderness but it's already regenerating just like it should. I did the hike from the Lewis and Clark trailhead Up to hat rock. Along the way you'll see some weird old things I'm pretty sure it's remnants of a old train depot and the foundation ,a bread Baking oven ,a stove And many old rusted remnants of the past. As you walk along you'll see animal paths coinciding with human paths as well as the old railroad grade. Work your way up to hot rock and you'll see an amazing view from the top. One of the best sunrises and sunsets can be seen in this area. Please pick up after yourself not many people will and it becomes a problem if things get chucked over and over and over. Also pack it out if you can instead of overloading dumpsters and making your problem somebody else's problem. I know all of this sounds hippie but we just need to do our part. If you're a strong swimmer there's an enclosed Swim area but you also can venture beyond and go out to the small island not too far. Don't be safe and you might be sorry ,be safe and you'll do much better. There are 2 campsites that are free but you have to reserve them it seems to be fairly difficult to get ahold of the agency in charge. Also be aware that this is rattlesnake country and they come out at night, so protect yourself. They don't want to hurt you ,they're just looking for a warm place to sleep. There are wetlands and scrub brush trees rocks animals just about everything in ecosystem needs. Go experience it. This is real Washington!

A Long Time Ago...we had a boat and house at McNary Yacht Club. Yachts? No, not really but it is a great area. Hat Rock is cool, a pillar of basalt. Which is what Oregon has quite a lot of. Went boating on the Columbia on a quiet day. A relative was in from Missouri and wanted to see the river...Beautiful. Had to launch in Hat Rock State Park, McNary is no longer open to the public. We did go in the harbor though to see how it looked. This is where we moored our boat way back when. McNary Dam has locks the ever-present barges go through.

This is not an ideal location. The Park is located right near a busy highway so traffic all night was very loud. Plus, ignorant or inconsiderate campers/ RVer's being loud all night and walking past with flashlights was not ideal. It was hard to get a good night sleep after driving a long ways. If you're able, I'd get a spot somewhere else if sleep is what you're looking for.
As far as Service goes, the Camp Host was amazing. We got in late, a little after 10, and he was there pretty much waiting for us and kept the gates open a little late just in case. Thank you so much for doing that! He was super nice and helpful!

The Host are a lot over zealous with their take on the duties. Don’t try to come early even with a 2/3 empty park if you have a reservation you can’t come in before 2pm. There is water but no water hookups for rvs. The spots are kind of tight to park in for larger rvs. But when the park is mostly empty it beautiful.

We had a 1 night stop here on a Friday evening. The site was electric but the outlet kept shorting out. The camp host was very kind & helpful in helping us with a converter. The showers were ok. The restroom area has a permanent ammonia order and needs a good power washing. When we set up our tent, we began to get spiders and other critters on it. By morning we had quite a few decent sized spiders on our tent and our car had about 5 of them we had to kill. They were big enough to be creepy. Not a fan of this campground.

Hood Park and Campground.
Park has a boat launch area and a small beach area. Plenty of picnic areas and big and small pavilions.
Campground has dump station. Both back in and pull through spots. It has a amphitheater where you can watch kid friendly movies on Saturday nights.
The restrooms and showers are cleaned every day between the checkout time and the checkin time so you are never bothered my the cleaning crew.
The price is $30 per site with electricity. No water hook ups. If you have the National Park Senior pass then it is only $15 per night. Very very clean. Playgrounds in both the park and the campground.
The sites are all hard surface.

The park was excellently maintained and park staff was always on the grounds if you need to check in, check out, or anything you need help with. The bathrooms are cleaned daily. There are nearby trails with tons of wild flowers and berries and birds.

Beautiful park! HORRIBLE AMOUNT OF MOSQUITOS & EARWIGS 🤮 However the park attendants on duty were amazing! They were a very sweet older couple and helped us out when we needed it. Nice park, good amount of space between campsites. Be aware that you only get 30amp power at your site, no water or sewer connection. There were lots of sea gulls, geese and spiders. Stop taking away our state funding for parks!! This could be a wonderful park. But this unfortunately is low on the list of state parks. So the grass gets cut but it has serious sprinkler problems and upkeep. The people who work there do the best they can with as little as they get.

Employees who drive around on the gator carts are on an absolute power trip. The park is trashed. Garbage everywhere, a street covered in leaves that was more convenient to put a cone in front of than actually pick up leaves. Grass needed mowed and was full of weeds. I used to love coming here. Now I wonder why I pay to access a park just to employ a group of power tripping Karen’s. It’s sad when there are more employees in a park than people. Sad…. Do better!

The park is located at the confluence of the Columbia and Snake rivers. It is such lovely park with lots of picnic tables under large shady trees. It has a boat dock and paths with informative signs about the area and its history. However, a 10-dollar fee or a 30-dollar annual Discovery Pass is required to visit the park.

Free to come here and fun little parts of history. The museum is the cost part, the park is open year round and has horse shoe pits, picnick tables, docs ($5 boat launch fee), volleyball pit (not maintained during winter spring), and swings. Mule deer wondering through as well.

Had a lovely social hour here with a group I belong to. The hands on exhibits are fun. The info on agriculture and the Morrow county area are well done. Unfortunately the hot air balloon exhibit wasn't open. Even the adults in our group enjoyed trying the tractor driving game.

A great place to stop, charge your EV, and walk around the museum ($10/$8 senior rate). There is also a dog park nearby. The SAGE staff are very friendly and helpful!

Sustainability in my Sociological Environment isn’t what I had anticipated when I visited with an open mind. Surprisingly, however, a sense of belonging is what I found. My family owned and operated a 4 generational 2000 acre wheat ranch located in Pendleton and this exhibit not only put it into proper context of the region for me but gave me a sense of belonging because of it. For that I am very appreciative. Thank you Sage Center. Keep up the valuable work in contributing to our beloved New Local environment.

We had an excellent time at the SAGE Center! The kids all had fun, I learned some stuff. The staff was friendly. Admission wasn't terribly expensive. We spent about 2 hours there. Definitely worth it.

I only stopped to change my Tesla and use the restroom.
Boy!... when I looked around and went inside, the country and architecture were phenomenal.
I only stopped inside for a little bit but the two women who were collecting admission (I'm fairly sure it was as admission) were most pleasant. We chatted, shared stories... insights - I lost track of the time!
The only reason for 4 stars is the admission. Yes, they must be funded somehow and who better than those who use it. Still, all in all, such places 'promote the general welfare ' ... a phrase that you may recognize. Thus We The People benefit and should finance such endeavors.
Yeah I know you might disagree...so be it.

So much great education about our farming in USA. The Ballon ride was down when we were there. If in the area fir a few days or need a break from driving, we highly recommend. Plenty of room for large motor homes & tow veichles

Upon entering the exhibit hall, the first thing you see is a massive two-story potato processing machine that explains the steps necessary to make curly fries. It's very informative and well done, but after that the experience quickly devolves into what is essentially walking through a commercial for factory farming.
For example: You can watch a video at one kiosk that shows how corn goes from the field to your table. It shows a bucolic field with an overalls-clad farmer husking a ripe corn cob, then smash-cut to a a harvester dumping what is clearly shucked animal feed corn or ethanol corn, and then fade into a fresh cob of yellow corn slathered in butter. The video neglects to mention that less than 10% of the corn grown in the US is meant for human consumption.
There are some areas of the museum that attempt to delve into the history of Morrow County, although they are very heavy on emphasizing the 5-6 famines that own the major factory farms in the area.
The museum does not hide the fact that it is one big advertisement for Big Ag. One kiosk in particular had recently been removed and replaced with a "Your Ad Here" message written on a whiteboard.
But the moment you realize you've been bamboozled into paying $10 a head to walk through a commercial is when you see the Amazon exhibit--complete with replicas of Amazon packages stacked up next to some fiber cables that represent an Amazon project that is currently underway in the area.
There are a handful of other annoyances ("The government too-heavily regulates how much water we use to grow alfalfa that we ship to India" etc) but there's too much to list.
I would compare it to a forest museum that touts the economic benefits of clearcutting old growth trees or an aquatic museum that extols the virtues of making baby seal burritos.
It has clean bathrooms and a nice playground.

We walked in and were warmly welcomed into this very cool space!
What a neat way to connect with the food grown in Oregon. It's a small fee to get inside but, worth it.
The museum has a little path you follow to see the history of farming. There are tons of little nooks with hands on information for you and your kids. Lots of flaps to lift and ways to explore.
They also have freshly scooped Tillamook ice cream for sale in a cooler out front. Yum!

Clean bathrooms, playgrounds and picnic tables, lit parking lot and portapotties for after hour stops. Tesla super chargers on-site.
Nice spacing between sites. Beautiful paved pathway to walk along the water. Sunset was a bonus. The only downside to this park is goat heads. It’s a weed that drys into a stiff thorn and they are all over in the gravel. We staid in early spring when they are still green and not a problem. It is priced very good for the quality also. Very nice community park. Also the staff was very pleasant.

Clean, well maintained facility with a relaxing river front atmosphere. RV lots are roomy with full hookups. Some people complain about the sound of the trains, but eh, I like it and have no problem sleeping through it. We've been coming for years and love it. And there are conveniences within walking distance like restaurants and a hardware store. Grocery store is across the freeway, but still not that far away. A great place, all around!

My husband and I stayed here for 5+ nights while he was on a work site. It may have ended up one of the most beautiful places we’ve been through. The park is absolutely lovely. Very quiet but busy, their online booking is awesome though and let’s you pick your site. I recommend google earthing before you pick. We backed our 40ft class A into site 39 no problem. There’s disk golf and work out equipment right there along the trail. And the staff was just as wonderful. Oh, and dog heaven. Happy wagging tails galore :)

We have stayed here frequently and really enjoy the park. The spaces are large and the grounds are beautiful. It's too bad that so many people don't bother to clean up after their dogs when they are at the park. The $60.00 per night is a little steep.

Gorgeous little area with a frisbee golf course. If you are a tent camper stay away! I’m on my bike riding to CO and this was the only option for camping, they were very nice but extremely unaccommodating. made me pay 54$ for rv spot to set up my tent because they only allow tents on weekends.

What a wonderful place with a great view to the river, a hiking path, plenty of trees and a lot of space between the RV’s . I wish we had more time to explore, than just one night. Hello Campers! An aging town of Boardman beautiful RV Park.
Staff was very helpful. I did leave feedback with staff. Many dogs running loose, drones flying overhead, no enforcement observed with the required leash rule. Sites 54,56 tree roots growing under neath pavement, site 56 not level, dog poo everywhere. Some site had 3 vehicles, boat, dog fencing etc. Park is being run into ground . Host was very friendly.

We stayed in the beautiful campground. Grounds are very well kept. Site, we had had the ground buckling due to tree roots, so ask about how level the sites are.

A lovely older park to stay at with views of the Columbia river. If you have a rig larger than 35’ this may not be the best place for you. The sites have lots of tree roots and felt the length of the sites were overstated (definitely not 75’ long). They were very accommodating to find us a site that worked for our overnight stay for our motorhome. Walking path close by.

Great r v park, but there are trains five hundred feet away that run twenty four hours a day. If you want to sleep you need to stay somewhere else.
Mark Faust — Google review
Beautiful park, tons of shade. Lots of people complain about the sprinklers but that's why the park is so green and not dusty like everywhere else. So be mindful of keeping windows closed and stuff put away that you might not want wet. The sites themselves have the sprinkler schedule posted on the number sign at each spot.
Most of the sites are level, if you're worried then bring more leveling options for your rig. We have a 35 ft fifthwheel and fit beautifully. With lots of room to spare, the spots are very long and clean and well maintained. The marina is cute and small, family friendly park we saw lots of kiddos. Keep your dogs leashed, we didn't have any issues with other campers dogs, some reviews did though.
The nearby pool is great, and great coffee and breakfast at "farmers cup" down the road. Only complaint is that we didn't stay long enough!

What a great RV park! Feels like camping—feels natural, and beautiful—but all the convenience of full hookups. Great space between sites. Super quiet! We stayed in spot #42 and felt super secluded—in a good way. I loved it.
Matthew Wilson — Google review
Had a very nice stay here except for Tuesday morning and the morning we were to leave.
Early Tuesday morning one of the staff was mowing everywhere around our site. We couldn't sit outside because of the mowing, and the noise inside our rig from the mowing was intolerable. I really had the feeling this guy was just trying to be a nuisance. He succeeded. He must have retraced his cutting paths a half dozen times on both sides of our rig.
On Thursday morning about 8, all the sprinklers on site 49 came on and we're still on when we left, about an hour and a half later. We got drenched while stowing gear, putting in slides, and leveling jacks.
There was a light breeze that blew the water from the sprinklers into our open windows and soaked us as we prepared to leave.
I went to the office to register my dissatisfaction, but no one was there. They could have at least told us when we checked in to be out by 8am on Thursday because of the sprinklers.
We have a 34 ft motorhome. Because of the sprinkler heads heads sticking up, it was extremely difficult to navigate out of the site without busting sprinkler heads or ruining a tire with the sprinkler head.
While we were having our ordeal with the sprinklers, I heard someone from a nearby site yell in disgust when the sprinklers came on there and soaked them and their chairs.
So are the park managers there that callous to paying campers or are they not particularly bright? They could program the sprinklers for after quiet hours in the evening or before quiet hours end in the morning. At least they should have some accommodation for when the sprinklers or mowing interfere with patrons, just saying.
If you stay here, inquire about mowing and sprinkler schedules.

Right from the start, upon our entrance, were greeted by a woman who came out of the office to greet us before we even put our truck in park. She confirmed our reservation and gave us the basics. She was so friendly and welcoming. Our stay was during some of the hottest days of the year. The park was immaculate and relaxing. Bathrooms/showers/laundry facilities were equally clean and functional. Our spot was #50 a pull-through and spacious. Our family of four enjoyed the easy access to the river for swimming and fishing. The entire park was full and the nights were peaceful and quiet. We will be back soon!

Worker laughed and so did I had quite a fun time while me and the employees filmed the whole situation. Unfortunately the video is too long to post. Be careful about getting trampled but other than that it was pretty fun.

We took our three year old granddaughter here for her birthday and she had a blast. She was wearing a birthday girl ribbon so everyone knew it was her birthday. Everyone was soooo nice! I believe it is run by volunteers. One of the volunteers, Pat, was so nice so her and always called out to her as we rode around on the carousel. A little girl came up to her and gave her a free token for her birthday. It was not crowded and the prices are decent. We may make this an annual birthday tradition. So lucky to have this in the community and kudos to the volunteers to make it work.

What a lovely place to visit! An indoor, beautiful, antique carousel that is over 100 years old. It looks an operates like new. The staff were all so kind and friendly. How refreshing that was! The children who think they’re just a bit too big to enjoy may be surprised to find themselves having fun trying to capture a brass ring. :)

Nice winery with a lot of character, despite being like a corporation (watch the trucks with grapes come and go). Make sure to go down the stairs and see the cellar with all the cases. The tasting room is very comfortable, enough space to taste and browse the wines.
Prices of the wines are very reasonable.

I'm going to be honest, I was a bit leery because it was such a big corporation winery. But it was actually a great experience. First of all $5 for 4, 5 tastes? Awesome. Second, the chateau they had was incredibly classy but approachable. Third, the attendant at the bar was incredibly nice, easy to talk to, and poured us drinks we were curious about, even if they were off the list. Good times and nice vineyard to walk around.

We had the best time at Columbia Crest Winery today in the tasting room with Vicky,. She made our day by being so welcoming, joking around with us and being so informative! She even got us some cheese and crackers to go with the tasting! We shared how much we were looking forward to our visit, but had been worried of our delay during the drive to the winery from the Columbia Gorge waterfalls, as it was much farther than we were thinking and it took so long to get there that we didn’t arrive until 4:30, just having discovered that they closed at 5 pm while we were on the way! Upon arrival we thought we would be rushed through the tasting experience at this, our favorite overall winery, after coming from Philadelphia to visit while in Washington. But nothing could have been further from that as she showed us numerous wines and even gave us an individual tour of the vine cellar and a tasting from a barrel during fermentation! She shared her Columbia Crest story with us and even took a picture with us! In the end we were there for over an hour and we would have never known that she and a few of her colleagues were staying to make our experience so special! What a wonderful representation of Columbia Crest she was! Congratulation to Columbia Crest for having a great staff member to represent your business!! Highly recommend others touring this beautiful winery!

Nice park. Pretty clean and well taken care of. Plenty of big trees, a splash pad for children, a playground, water access for swimming, kayaking and even boating, jet-skiing, etc. Access to various cruise ships and other water vessels and the like from several docks. Nice walking/bike paths. Benches and bench-swings, plus a concession stand and Hawaiian Ice. A few suspicious, possibly homeless, possibly substance abuse type people but they didn’t bother us. Overall we had a pleasant time this day and when we visited before. Would go back again.

A great park any time of year. And it’s only 3-4 min drive from the hospital, so it’s great if you have a wait. There is also a gallery/gift shop right next to it.
It has tennis courts, awesome playgrounds (one for 5-12 year olds, one for 2-5 year olds), all of the park benches are swinging benches, a boulder/rock climbing area), a music area with mallet percussion, a water front walking path, and a amphitheater. Beautiful views throughout. You can easily spend 30 minutes or many many hours there. Lots of tress for shade. It even had an AED on site for emergencies! I think there is also a concession stand, perhaps open during summer months. It’s also next door to the community center.
Park seems clean and well maintained.

This was one of the park we went to on our first visit to Tricities and instantly fell in love with the area because of it.
The park has a really neat playground for the children and cool swing benches you can sit on while enjoying the beautiful view of the Columbia river. We took our kids here one evening last summer and there were lots of kids at the playground laughing, screaming and running around. Now that may turn some people off, but I absolutely loved it. We live in a small town with a very tiny playground and barely see any kids play in it, so to see that many children playing in this park gave me so much joy. Even after dark there were still tons of people hanging around at the park and children playing at the playground. I didnt want to leave but the mosquitoes chased us away. 😅🤣
Pictures attached were from our last visit to Tricities before we move out of state this coming summer.

We try to support local, but when the local business doesn't want your business it's time to speak up. My husband and I came out to the winery just to share a bottle of wine and enjoy the beautiful grounds at Terra Blanca. We told the hostess we were just going to get a bottle and wanted to sit outside to enjoy the day. The young man at the tasting counter was very professional and helpful and once we had our bottle we headed outside. We found a table out in the sun and began to relax. Not even a couple minutes had passed and a different employee came and asked us if we had seen the hostess, we said we had checked in. She proclaimed certain tables were reserved for the grill restaurant and that we had to move because this table was apparently hers and we had not asked to sit in the grill seating. We told her we wanted a table in the sun so she promptly moved us to the interior courtyard with a minimal view of the grounds. We were the only ones seated in this area. It's like we were not good enough for them; like we didn't belong. We were treated rudely. Never offered water or even if we wanted to stay seated in the grill and provided menus. My husband was not happy at all with the service and went back inside to speak up. The hostess told him that there was a corvette club coming that afternoon and they had tables already reserved. My husband quickly responded, "so my money isn't good enough for you, I have to drive a corvette to get seated at a better table?" So we sat isolated in the courtyard, still with no water. The hostess walked by the opening with another employee a few minutes later, who both looked at us and smirked. Then passed back by on the way into the building. Again, never apologizing, offering us water or if we needed anything else. My husband called out to the other gal with the hostess and asked for the managers name. Darrell; if that's your name, you will be getting a call from me.
We've visited Terra Blanca many times for the wine and the views, even purchased a case of wine once. But this experience has left such an awful taste with us. We will never be back. And we will make sure to let our friends and family know of the poor treatment and lack of service. Clearly you don't care about taking care of the little guys, only the ones who have big pocketbooks.

We thoroughly enjoyed wine tasting and lunch on a Friday afternoon. The grounds, buildings and views are beautiful. Beautiful property with great views from the outside terrace, and nice big event spaces inside. We've been here a few times for wine tasting, and although some are good I've never really found any I have to have in my cellar. Tonight we visited for dinner, a special monthly reservation-only event, $45/person 3 course meal of salad, entree, and dessert. I normally drink Malbec, and theirs was the worst I have ever tasted. My wife ordered a glass of Cab Franc which was good. We opted to add the optional scallops appetizer - I didn't care for the texture of the scallops and guacamole wasn't a great pairing. The salad seemed like it was from a bag - dried out greens, but at least the dressing was good. Steak was stuffed with mushrooms that had the texture of canned, and served with vegetables that tasted like they were from frozen. The chocolate dessert cake was dry and firm, like it had been made a few days prior and frozen until serving. The meal just simply didn't live up to the 'gourmet' expectation or price.
I hope someday their business does well enough to pave the horrible pothole-filled driveway between the road and their parking lot.

The wine is phenomenal and the venue is absolutely incredible. Truly wonderful place to visit in the Red mountain area. $10 for the tasting is also a great value for the variety and number of pours one will get. Their prices are alright...but I have found that a lot of these wineries sell at cheaper prices at places like Bevmo, TotalWine, etc if you can find them. A bit ridiculous that a middleman yields a cheaper price.
Hands down best winery EVER. Red mountain is my favorite region in WA ad CA combined. They make their wine to age, as is traditional and best tasting! When wine industry exploded on the west coast, many took financial advantage and produced wine quicker to sell. Not Kiona. They make it to age and its incredible. Join and enjoy!

I’d like to start with the fact that this is my one of my favorite wineries in the area. Nevertheless…
The wine is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper at SafeWay/ Total Wine/ Online than at the winery… FYI….
Also 3/5 of the wine tasting glasses had soap in them.
Very disappointed. I normally very much enjoy my visits here. I trust/ hope this was just a one off issue with the soap.
Ultimately, I’ll definitely be a customer, but I’m not going to buy wine from the winery until they fix their pricing.

The winery is off the main road, pay attention to the signs! Inside it looks less like a winery and more like the entrance to a modern museum. With all of that space they could be better engaging the customer in their rich history, telling a great story about Red Mountain and their journey.
The service was interesting. The person pouring the wine, alhough attentive, may want to consider a career wiyh NPR instead of a sales position; customer engagement is not her strength.
The wines were a fantastic representation of Red Mountain. For those visiting, this place is a must for capturing the essence of the ava. For locals, you've been there, done that. Nothing they offer captivates the pallet.
Overall the place isn't very engaging, and their wine doesn't stand out, but for visitors this place well represents what Red Mountain has to offer.
Gorgeous inside-outside tasting room with great views. Good hospitality and very reasonable wine prices

Fantastic selection of wines. Oldest vineyard in the area. FYI though, check TotalWine or Bevmo for cheaper options on their bottles

Hands down, the best winery on Red Mountain. If you don't like their wine, there is something dismally wrong with your palate and you should seek medical attention immediately. The view is unparalleled, there is artwork on display, and the staff is super-knowledgeable and welcoming. If that's not enough, the owner is just a really cool guy who is frequently there mingling with guests, and have I mentioned that they are the oldest winery on Red Mountain? They've been doing this a VERY long time. In fact, I've been to France, and they know Red Mountain AND this winery there. Critics should probably go back to Seattle...or to a hole somewhere...
Fantastic little winery! Great service, and my wife loved all the wines, so we had to buy a bottle of each. We had a blast, thank you!!

Excellent experience. Owners are friendly, staff is knowledgeable and we’ve had so many great experiences we joined the wine club. They even cooked a great BBQ.

Our favourite winery in the Red Mountain area! The location is amazing with a relaxing atmosphere. We did not want to leave, ever! Very inviting and fun place to socialize. The food is delicious and the wine is a must try with it amazing blends. Definitely coming back to visit!

The wines here are amazing. Really loved the variety and ended up buying a couple bottles. And they were so friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend and will stop in again when I'm nearby.

You will NEVER have a bad wine at Tuccanon winery. I am a Red wine snob and in almost 9 years have NEVER been disappointed. Walking into this winery is like coming into your best friends patio. Please come in and enjoy.

Best wine tasting ever. This place was clean, comfortable, friendly, organized. I really enjoyed my stop there on a Silver City Winos 10 day wine tour. I highly recommend and I will be going back!

New owners in the last year = incredible new varieties! Hands down the best rose in eastern Washington, and if you haven't tried it you are missing out! Cute, quiet, and cozy venue with beautifully landscaped grounds and a knowledgeable and friendly tasting room staff. Try it out, you won't be disappointed!

What a fantastic little gem. The wines hit all the notes and were delicious. Top it off with friendly and knowledgeable staff and it’s a must go to in the area!
Tony Henriques — Google review
The staff here is warm and knowledgeable, the venue is small inside but has a gorgeous view of the vineyard & the wedding venue out back, the wine tasting is reasonably priced. Truthfully, I’m not a huge wine person. That being said, I enjoyed every wine they poured (they were offering some big pours too). The winter hours can be kind of a pain as they close rather early, that holds true for virtually all of the wineries in the region though. What really sold it was the staff - so friendly, welcoming, and eager to help you find a wine you enjoy!

We came as a group at 5:30 when they close at 6 we were encouraged to not have a tasting because they don’t do tastings that late we said we would be quick we hadn’t been there before they agreed to let us we were out the door by 5:45 and when we left the one of the people from our group was in the restroom the workers didn’t know and proceeded to go and had talk bad about our group to their friends who were sitting in the tasting room- good wine but due with that customer service we will not come back.
Fantastic wine, friendly staff, and yummy cheese plate. A shining gem in Washington Wine Country!

Usually love this place but our visit this past week was very lackluster. I miss the personalized wine introductions, service and even a few crackers to tame the taste buds. Maybe the changes are due to COVID but we’ll probably find a new wine club to join.

14 Hands has consistently delivered high quality, excellent value WA red wine blends for many years. The 2019 Juicy Red is another great example. Syrah based, it serves up complex, well balanced blueberry, dark cherry, black current, mocha and spices. We enjoyed ours during a delicious roast beef dinner. Still youthful for about an hour, it smoothed out nicely for sipping after dinner.

This place is amazing! I read a comment that said the wines are totally different than what is in the store and that is 100percent true. Great wines at a great price. The white cabernet is divine and the charcuterie board has the best cheese I've had in years.

Great time. Good wine. Sweet employees. Will go again!

We continue to enjoy going to 14 Hands each time we visit our family in the Tri-Cities so that we may select a few more bottles to bring back home to Napa where we live— we especially love their Cabernet Sauvignon! What we like is that 14 Hands offers a good selection of reasonably priced wines. We also really enjoy the wine tasting experience because 14 Hands has a very nice tasting room, a pleasant and knowledgeable staff, and a large and welcoming patio area— we recommend ordering the cheese plate, which we have found to nicely complement our wine tastings!

First time at a tasting room in Eastern Washington. This place was not crowded for a Sunday, but we were not their during the busy season. Learned about their process and how they get their wine. Had some nice reserves while there.

A beautiful winery serving one of our favourite Chardonnay’s!! Just a quick first stop on a whirlwind three week road trip, we couldn’t ask for more! Grabbed a few bottles to go for our evening “night cap” in the next town/state!! Thank you 14 Hands for making such tasty product!!

Went here for a wine tasting and they were so awesome and so nice that we ended up joining their wine club which has no membership fee. As a result our complete wine tasting was free and the bottle the prices of the bottles of wine were greatly reduced. It's a very nice wine tasting room with a big large outdoor area that wraps all the way around. Besides the tasting room in large outdoor patio area, they have some interesting vintage barnwood displays, an art gallery, and a little store. Employee Cassandra took great care of us and told us so much history of the winery and their different grapes and vintages. We had such a fun time, highly recommend.

We stopped by this lovely tasting room while on a road trip in July 2022, as a respite from driving in the 100°+ heat.
It was a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere of the tasting room is very nice, our tasting guide was wonderful and we enjoyed some unique reserve wines that the winery does not distribute very widely in liquor stores. So, of course, we ended up buying a few bottles. Highly recommended!

Recently married a couple from our church, and after the wedding ceremony, the reception was at Desert Wind Winery. We had the large back reception hall, all to ourselves. It was a very luxurious, well kept, clean, spacious place for this event. We had a great visit, and got to meet one of the owners while there, great smile and conversation.
100% Recommend this place for any large group event! Thank you Desert Wind!!

Good ambience and service but I have had better food in other places. Kale salad was over dressed and the Steak was over cooked. Olives didn’t work well with the steak gravy.

Three stars for past experiences only. This last experience on spring barrel tasting week was complete BS. Walked in and paid $16 per person to get a tasting of rose and then were not even told the barrel tasting ended a couple minutes later at 5pm. If you’re wrapping things up for the day, don’t charge people for the event at the door…Feel like we got completely ripped off.

Vacillating between 3 and 4 stars. We recently visited and were impressed by the tasting room and facilities but the kitchen was closed due to staffing issues. It happens a lot these days but more notice would have been nice since it's not within walking distance of restaurants. The staff in the tasting room were stellar! The rooms are gorgeous and the bottle of wine is a nice touch but our room was above the highway and it was SO loud that neither of us slept a wink. This room should be discounted! At the very least give people a heads up and provide ear plugs! It's especially frustrating since there was an open room on the other side of the building. Again, it was extremely clean and the staff were great. For the money though, it was pretty disappointing.

This review is only for the restaurant inside Desert Wind Winery. I went with my girlfriend and we enjoyed the location and atmosphere. Very pretty inside with lots of event space. We ordered a spinach artichoke dip, along with a blackberry jam and Brie grilled cheese and a burrata cheese. I had the rose while my friend enjoyed her Malbec. I realized after our lunch that I should have tried the Ruah wine, which is what put this winery on my list to visit - the server was lovely enough to give us both a taste of it.

Luxury and great wine. We stayed at the inn and they went out of their way to take care of us. Beautiful rooms and a surprise welcome bottle of wine! Highly recommend for ladies weekend or couples.

We stayed here one night in late August. The room is amazing and gets 5 stars. It's also nice that included with your stay is a bottle of wine from their vineyard and breakfast.
The downside was that the restaurant was closed because the cook quit. That's fine, it happens, but they didn't tell us beforehand. The only reason we found out is because we tried several times to make a reservation with no response to our voicemails.
We did finally get a hold of someone one night before our arrival, who told us the munu was limited to two items.
It ruined the inclusive "winery" trip we were looking for because we had to drive into town for dinner and couldn't enjoy wine before or with our dinner.
Also the spa was temporarily closed which we were not told until we arrived.
They should have told us before we came that the restaurant and spa were closed.
We are disappointed that we paid $400 for the night and did not get what was advertised.

What a gorgeous spot! The overnight accomodations were magnificent, the wine (we only got into the reds) is is exquisite, and the staff is BEYOND COMPARISON!
Lizze talked with us throughout the wine tasting, and really made us feel at home. What a natural in customer service, service, hospitality. We'd go back JUST to see her! Lacey was super helpful, sweet disposition, and added greatly to the experience. Eyden working to get everything ready for the holiday weekend, and did it with a smile and a great disposition! As great as the accommodations and wine are, it's the staff that sets this place apart.
Before we left we booked our next stay.... Can't wait!
We had some delicious beer, some peanuts in a shell and a really fun time! I love this hole in the wall brewery! Plus the service is wonderful!

Some of the best beers in Wa. Very down low atmosphere.watch the brewers work, watch a game, bring in food ( they are connected with Horse Heaven Saloon), just hang. And there is the occassional cowboy riding up on a horse, too.

The Daven Lore Winery is an experience that I highly recommend for any that love or even just dabble in wine. If you enjoy good conversation and are interested in learning a bit more about wine, this is also the place for you. Also, if you question your enjoyment of ports (normally I don’t), try the Ruby and you may change your mind!

I discovered Daven Lore Winery shortly after moving to Washington. The wines are excellent examples of bold Washington reds along with crisp, refreshing whites. The owner and winemaker, Gordon Taylor, is well versed in wine lore and enjoys educating guests to the tasting room as well as at other venues such as winemaker dinners and pouring events at various restaurants. If you haven't visited the winery, do so. The view is spectacular and I guarantee you will learn something about wine that you didn't know.
I attended the tour of LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave) with a group of Physics students from Freeman High school. Cassidy, our tour guide was phenomenal. She had a wealth of knowledge and was very good in her interactions with the students. I would recommend taking this tour, it was very informative.

Unveiling the Cosmos: A Stellar Experience at Sanford LIGO Observatory
As an enthusiast of all things astronomical, my visit to the Sanford LIGO Observatory was nothing short of breathtaking. This facility, a pinnacle of scientific achievement, offers a unique glimpse into the cutting-edge of cosmological exploration, and it did not disappoint.
A Marvel of Modern Science
The highlight of the observatory, without a doubt, are the massive x-y arms, crucial for the LIGO's mission to detect gravitational waves. Witnessing these monumental structures up close was awe-inspiring, offering a tangible connection to the abstract and profound phenomena they're designed to observe. The sheer scale and precision of these arms encapsulate human ingenuity's boundless reach, a testament to our quest to decode the universe's most elusive mysteries.
Enlightening Guided Tour
The guided tour was a cornerstone of the visit, transforming what could have been a mere observational experience into an immersive educational journey. The guide, brimming with knowledge and enthusiasm, elucidated the complex scientific principles with remarkable clarity. Understanding how these arms function to detect the ripples in spacetime created by distant cosmic events was absolutely fascinating. It was a perfect blend of profound science communicated in an accessible manner.
Architectural Grandeur Meets Scientific Endeavor
Beyond its scientific significance, the observatory's design is a visual feast. The x-y arms, stretching across the landscape, create a striking harmony between human-made structures and the natural world. They stand as a bold declaration of our presence in the cosmos, reaching out to listen to the universe's ancient whispers.
Final Thoughts
My visit to the Sanford LIGO Observatory was an enlightening journey that expanded my appreciation for the universe and the extraordinary efforts we undertake to understand it. The observatory isn't just a place; it's a portal to the cosmos, offering rare insights into the fabric of spacetime itself. For anyone curious about the universe, passionate about science, or simply in awe of humanity's capability to explore the cosmos, a visit to this observatory is an absolute must. It’s a place where science meets imagination, where the cosmos's secrets are within our grasp, and where the universe's silent music is heard loud and clear.

I flew out from Florida to visit LIGO Hanford and was not disappointed! Went on the "Second Saturday" tour, led by Michael Landry, Ph.D. I enjoyed the hands on demonstrations and the accompanying descriptions and applicability to gravitational waves.
Also, it was very cool to see the Nobel Prize in Physics to Rainer Weiss, Barry Barish and Kip Thorne for their contributions to LIGO.
I highly recommend!

A colleague of mine wanted to go here so we did a short road trip from seattle to here. The staff is super nice. We had an appointment for the observatory tour at 11:45 am and they were on time. They first explained about what they do at the observatory. And they took us to some few important spots in the campus. The person who was taking us on tour, answered all questions. We had a great experience. If you are interested in knowing more about the observatory, then definitely it’s worth the visit!!
