Well, this was the beginning of our camping season and we started with Sauble Provincial Park. It was super cold night but was fun. Awesome experience, the tent sites were little small but no complains. A special mention for the washrooms, they were very tidy and showers were very clean. The service staff was super sweet. Definitely a thumbs up and will recommend this to anyone wanting to try this out. Please like my review if you find it helpful.

Nice small but updated campground close to Sauble Beach. Campsites offer good shade and mid to low privacy. I think it's a 4, but give it a 5 for the updated modern infrastructure. Washrooms and showers were clean, with integrated laundry and dish washing facilities. They even had a L2 electric vehicle charger there too. Not much to do in the campground other than a short and easy walk to the falls. The main reason you would camp here would be to go to Sauble Beach, but there is a playground and easy use shelter. TIP: nicest sites are along the river but you are high above it and can't really access it in the west campground.

Not really a big water fall
Would enjoy if donot have any expectations
Lot of camp grounds or motels around to explore the places near by and also there is a provincial park in sauble along side a beach to plan day accordingly
mohan reddy — Google review
It was the second time we went to Sauble falls, I loved kayaking here but it was closed this time it is one of the ‘things to do’ in this park. The camping site is really well maintained with access to clean washrooms and ample parking for visitors, camping is next ‘to do’ item in my list. If you are going on trip to Sauble beach check this out.

Lovely camping site. Well maintained washroom and shower rooms. Ample of space with parking. Though kayaking was not open on weekday which did not make sense, if camping site is open, the other activities should be open too.

Nice park with all amenities needed. Our site had the river behind us which was nice. Very quiet and well treed. Even met a new friend 🧡

Camping was the best option for us this summer. Not a big fan but it worked. Now, Sauble Falls Parks is a nice place to change your pace, however, staff not friendly at all. Being nice and courteous is cheap but front desk girls and boys are off on this.
Besides that, if you want to stay safe, SB is a good idea

It was a great provincial park! It had nice walking trails, quick access to the falls, and great places to just sit around and chill. The campground was really well maintained by the workers and my time spent here was amazing! It was also a great location as it was close to many nearby attractions.
Bharat Bhargava — Google review
This is a nice park and well kept. The one issue is that site descriptions are misleading. We had a site for a trailer up to 32 feet, and our 24-foot trailer almost would not fit, and our fire pit could not be used because we had to park almost on top of it. It was also on the back side of our trailer. They need to update site descriptions or trim the trees and change the site setups. Our site was not the only one with this issue. This was site 17.
Bradley miller — Google review
We spent a little over 2 hours here. The view is amazing. The kids loved jumping off one of the ledges of the waterfalls. Make sure you have water shoes or sandals that can get wet.
Amy McDonnell — Google review
Loved the park! It is pretty small but has renovated comfort stations and for us this is a big advantage. I had to work and Fido coverage was amazing everywhere. The falls are very close even though our site was on East campground that is on the other side of the road. You have to drive to the beach and parking is not free, you have to pay. But if you go to the town, the main street has 2 hours of free parking, this is more than enough to come and watch the gorgeous sunset. So the park is great! Only one disadvantage - there is no beach in the park.
Nadejda Golovenkina — Google review
The campsite was excellent. The washroom and shower facilities were impeccably clean. The staff was incredibly friendly, and it's conveniently located near the beach. You can purchase wood and ice at the entrance until 9 pm. Additionally, there are laundry and dryer facilities available.
One important tip is to make sure to lock your car. I had a bad experience where I forgot to lock mine, and during the night, a raccoon managed to open my trunk and eat all my breakfast. So, it's crucial to keep your food stored far away from your tent.
Mert Sozdinler — Google review
Nice little spot to do some kayaking or very light hiking. We parked up at the north lot which allows you to check out the falls quickly for about $6. You need to pay online or at one of the machines. Was able to see the falls and everything in about 10 minutes. Not much else to do on that side, some people were out in the stream swimming which was kind of trashy but whatever. Not worth making it your destination, but if you pass by on the way to something else it’s a decent pit stop.

Best camping location ever!
Sauble Falls are amazing, remind me the very famous Dunn’s River Fall in Jamaica.
We are very lucky to have a campsite right besides the river, so easy launch the boats into the river. The river water is very clam, excellent for paddle boarding and canoeing. Just the water quality is not the greatest.
5 mins drive to Sauble Beach. The water is so clear, waves are awesome to play with, sands are so fine and soft.
Accessible to many other great places. We also make a day trip to Lion Head.

Beautiful mature trees that provide plenty of shade and privacy, clean bathrooms and amenities. Lovely 3km trail on the west side of the campground after the Sauble falls. FYI if your expecting rain during your stay I don't recommend site 44 as it sits low and turns into a pond.
Sheldon Campbell — Google review
Really nice park & staff.
Good spot to stay to explore the area, fishing, and paddling.
We got a canoe rental from Outervision Adventure Tours as the parks canoe rental is closed for the season.
Mary Lynn — Google review
Loved heading up there for a camping trip. The fall colours had just started so everything was beautiful. Park was clean, especially the bathrooms! Only issue was with checking in: we waited at the window of the gatehouse for a bit before we parked the car to knock on the windows. It did take a while for them to come out but they apologized for the wait and answered all our questions and provided a map and directions to our site!
Abbey Clark — Google review
Pros:
Nice
Clean
Quaint
The mini falls are nice to walk through and see
Not too busy
Canoe/kayak rental available
Cons:
Small
One trail
Not much to do
If you want to spend a day here, there really isn't much to do. It's worth a quick pit-stop for me or it's worth camping if you're driving into Sauble Beach everyday. Again, very cute and clean.

A river runs through this public park also offering sports facilities such as a pool & mini golf.
Harrison Park is convenient, it has camping 🏕️ amenities, washrooms, trash 🗑️ cans, trails, picnic tables, playground and a nice restaurant to relax and enjoy a good meal with the family after hiking the property and checking out Weaver's Creek Falls, please don't litter, keep your children close to you as the current can be treacherous. Enjoy your visit!

A beautiful park, lots of free parking. They have a playground, bathrooms and a restaurant. The Sydenham river flows through it, very beautiful. There is a trail that leads you to Inglis falls. Takes about 1.5hrs but we'll worth the hike. The park seems to be very popular is the nice weather.
Brent — Google review
Such a beautiful park. We went here to try out their mini golf they have inside the park. Unfortunately it was closed but we weren't that sad when we explored around the area.
Right along the river and you can see the fish swimming. They have a little zoo area with all different types of birds and lots of seating. It's a beautiful area to explore.
Jade Ryan — Google review
Such a wonderful park to visit. A playground for all the ages with something to do for everyone. From camping to hiking, basketball to swimming, tennis courts to actual playgrounds. When the fun is all done settle in for an ice cream in the summer at the walk up window or have a sit down meal at the restaurant.
laurie coish — Google review
Wonderful place to spend a day! You could either take a short walk around the park or walk all the way to the fall. Or you could enjoy at the restaurant or at the picnic area. Has a great playground including golf area for kids. Bonus: There are barns including different kinds of gooses, swamps, peasants from different parts of the world!

This place is great for family picnics. Get togethers for your kid to spend an afternoon and get tired out. Lots of different options for playgrounds and a long trail to walk along a beautiful river. Highly recommend it for a great afternoon!! Also there is burgers and hot dogs ice cream right in the middle of the park, beside parking area.

Beautiful park, it’s actually pretty. Upon entering the place you go through a well designed driveway. Lots of families here so it’s a wonderful place for couples, families, and friends. There’s also many activities to do here, even restaurants and camping is available at this place. Nature lovers will surely love it here the same way I did!
Josiane Kabusoro — Google review
All inclusive City Park. They even have nice long several trail and campground. They don't need to go far place for camp or hike, that is plivilege for people live in Owen Sound. There is a concession near the restaurant and their ice cream is sooooo good. They provide some famous ice cream shop in London, Ontario.
Cindy — Google review
While I haven’t had the chance to use the park to its full extent, hiking from Harrison Park to Inglis falls was one of the most picturesque trails i’ve hiked in a while. The terrain varies from smooth and paved, beneath a gorgeous canopy of trees, with several bridge crossings, has some moderate hill climbs, an easy walk through an arboretum, then back into the forest walking along the Sydenham River. As you get closer to Inglis Falls, there are several footbridges and also the ascent to the top has a fair bit of rocky terrain. Takes about an hour from Harrison Park to Inglis Falls on that trail.
Beautiful scenery.
Great treaded hiking boots recommended.
Trails is well marked.

This was probably the best place we've visited in Owen Sound; this park is free to enter and free parking with camping available (at a fee). This park has everything for everyone, from playgrounds and a basketball court for kids to trails and a restaurant for the whole family. The only thing this place doesn't have is a gift shop for shopping.
There are a lot of trails in this park, some of which connect to Inglis Falls (around 1 hour hike for myself and wife). The trails can be muddy from recent rain and have many uneven grounds from tree roots and rocks. We missed the entry point to Inglis Falls, but there was one available, but you would need to pay a fee to enter (or free if you go from the trails).
There is a decent restaurant on site with average prices and food and a concession stand on the side of the building. The park also had a fenced area with swans and other small bodies of water.
Overall, I would definitely recommend coming here whether you are from Owen Sound or just visiting. We spent a few hours here hiking and ate at the restaurant afterward. Also, the ice cream you get from the concession stand comes in a generous amount (recommend).

Super polite staff! Wonderful place for family/ friends or a special night for just the two of ya! From so many hiking trails we probably missed some. But never ending this too pass the time! Definitely have referred some Friends and have another stay planned.

A Lovely Jewel In Owen Sound
My family and I visited this park back in August 2022 during our long trip from Ottawa to Tobermory. Sorry that we could not spend much time but there was enough time to appreciate every aspect of the park (picnic tables, mini-zoo, beautiful trails, etc). Staff were very friendly especially the young lady at the rental place). Will definitely consider coming back. Well recommended.
The Inglis Falls Conservation Area, situated south of Owen Sound, is a conservation area that boasts an impressive 18-meter-high waterfall. The area offers well-maintained trails and picnic facilities for visitors to enjoy year-round. This particular waterfall is a popular attraction during the winter season due to the stunning frozen cascade that forms over it. The landscape surrounding Inglis Falls gives the impression of being deep in the rainforest but is easily accessible from the parking lot.
A must stop when in Owen Sound!!!
Beautiful waterfall. It's an amazing place to take photos and also explore nearby trails and area. Water flow was massive and looked amazing.
Waterfall is easily accessible from the parking lot. Please note there is $10 parking fee.
Priyanka S — Google review
One of the best waterfalls in Ontario, in my opinion. A must see if in the area. The viewing area is a short walk from the parking lot. But the conservation area has lots of hiking trails as well. We parked down river at Harrison park and hiked up. Was under 8 km and took about 1.5hours. Beautiful scenery along the whole trail. Lots of parking in the conservation area, but doesn't get quite busy on nice days. Will be going back in fall when the leaves turn. We've been going here for years, in all season and will continue to keep coming back due to its beauty. A perfect place to spend an afternoon exploring.

Came by chance as the server at the restaurant where we ate suggested this place to visit.
Just 7 minutes away from Sabitri global cuisine we decided to check it out.
Covered in snow and icicles the river flowing turns into a gushing waterfall, it’s so magical watching water turning into ice.
Lovely spot for a quiet relaxing space and it’s great for trails in the summer.
Gunjan Asher — Google review
We visited several waterfalls in Grey County on our recent trip there and we thought Inglis Falls were the most beautiful. The access to the falls was also very well laid out, so you can get a good view of the falls. There are steep stairs and a rocky path to one of the viewing areas, so not everyone will be able to manage this, but there is still a good view of the falls from close to the parking lot. The washrooms at these falls are also above average.
Francesca Mallin-Parker — Google review
Good place for relax and enjoy the beautiful view. I visited this place and also walked on the trail, which was not very difficult. I would recommend this place for the relaxation and enjoy the sound of waterfall.

We were here in May. Perfect weather. Beautiful place with tons of nature to see. We spent about three hours here walking and exploring. The woods have some deep holes crevasses. Beautiful, but I could see being a little troublesome with small children or pets.

Absolutely beautiful waterfall! We didn’t do the trail as this was just a pitstop for us, but a lovely place to stop for a quick picnic!

A must visit waterfall, you will amazed to see the flow of water. Very peaceful place to visit it has also small trail to walk around. Overall very good experience to visit this beautiful place of nature.

Inglis Falls are very nice. It is short hike from parking lot, 3 min ish, however there are trails where you could spend time walking/hiking. I went on Inglis Falls Pine loop trail for walk. So you could go to All-trails app to find the trail which suits you and how much time you want to spend outside. Trail is mainly in shades (trees) and is easy, just some sections of rocks and roots.
Happy hiking.
Mapolenka S — Google review
Gorgeous water falls. My son thought there was a hidden passage way at the bottom. Can only get photos from a distant. Pathways don't let you visit the bottom of the falls. Downfall is $9 for parking is fairly high. Recommend parking at Grey roots museum and walking across. 5to10 min walk. We didn't accomplish the hiking available and cant comment on conditions.
Great falls.
Henry Lukassen — Google review
What a beautiful waterfall in Owen Sound. This place expects no hiking from you to see this beauty, but a short walk along the man built walkway. It’s closed for the winter so you’d be disappointed, but definitely check here out when it’s not winter. Parking is $10 and covers different places such as Eugenia Falls.
Rissa H — Google review
Inglis Falls is one of Owen Sounds well-known waterfalls, with excellent views of the falls.
The hiking trails is more like a lollipop style, with the option to do the top loop or to hike to Harrison Park with the out-and-back trail.
The trail starts off like a fairly typical forest trail, then as you begin the descent of the escarpment, it understandably becomes very rocky and muddy (rainy days) the hiking trail follows the Sydenham River and there are several footbridges and river crossings. The trail then climbs up to a beautiful arboretum and continues back into the forest along the river where it leads into Harrison Park, where the path is balanced and covered with a lush canopy of trees.
Trail- easy to moderate
Hiking boots recommended
Approximately 2hr hike to and fro

One of my favourite falls in Ontario. Particularly breath-taking during the fall, but beautiful all year long. Love making the drive up from Toronto, many fun shops and restaurants to stop at along the way. Ample parking available, as I find it never gets TOO busy.
Sarah F — Google review
This one has been on my list for a while. I visited during a snow storm. This area gets lots of snow and has whiteout conditions so if you visit during winter check the weather before you go. It was worth the wait. Stunning views are a short walk from the parking lot. $10 parking fee.

Pros.
My brother-in-law did not fall into the falls. Ongoing problem.
The best view is down the steps.
It's an amazing view.
Nice walking trails throughout.
Not that busy on a weekday.
Cons.
The bathrooms. My god. No ventilation. Broken urinal. Gas! Gas! Gas!
Other then the bathroom smell. It is a wonderful little site.
If your in the area it's worth the visit.
The Murphunzios — Google review
This really is one of the best waterfalls I've seen, especially in this area near Owen Sound. However, we had a hard time finding the entrance to the falls when we put the location on the map (turns out we had to drive a bit further down to reach the parking lot). But thankfully, we didn't find the entrance because there would have been a fee to get in with the car, but we were able to reach the falls from Harrison Park.
Free parking and much better way to spend your day in the park than at the falls, but I would definitely recommend paying a visit to these falls because they really were a very nice sight to see. The trail to the falls from Harrison Park had some difficulty but definitely doable, but it took us around one hour (one way) but worth the hike in my opinion.

MacGregor Point Provincial Park is a diverse natural area located along the Lake Huron shoreline, offering visitors a wide range of outdoor activities and events throughout the year. The park features a well-equipped visitor center, multiple campgrounds, hiking trails, a beach, playgrounds and pet areas. It is also an ecologically diverse habitat for many carnivorous plants and bird species.
We stayed here over the Family Day Long Weekend and loved every minute of it. The skating trail was a lot of fun and we enjoyed 2 of the Snowshoeing trails !! Our site was private and spacious. The bathroom facilities were well kept and clean. The staff were friendly also. Lake Huron is a beautiful lake and so magical with all the ice. Port Elign is a cute place as well and very close to the campground ( Walmart and other businesses are there) I can't wait to come back soon!

A nice family friendly camping provincial park. A clean park with plenty of campsites. A nice bike route that goes from one end of the park to the other. A well protected beach cove with clear water and a big playground nearby. A few hiking trails, from boardwalk paths to rough forest terrain. There's a small visitors center to explore. The park store is well located in the middle of the park.

Fantastic spot to camp. Great beaches, very clean (even the dog beaches). My kids love the ice cream at the Park Store. The trails are awesome for biking or hiking.

Great park; visited in the winter before really any snow so we got good use of all the trails. The park staff is amazing, so friendly and super knowledgeable. The trails are well maintained and well marked and the work put into the trails through the “Friends” is phenomenal. I’ve hiked interpretive trails before within Algonquin and other trail systems however the work and detail put into this park is great. Thanks so much!
Just pay attention to what’s open during your season; the washroom at the visitor centre is open during the down season!

Lovely place to visit during winters. Yet to visit it during other seasons. The snow covered trees makes the park look absolutely stunning!! There's even a ground made for ice skating. One can get to see variety of dogs since there is also a dog park in the same place. If the weather is good, it's like a cherry on the cake since the park looks even more beautiful on a sunny day

Spent a weekend here in one of the cabins, and they're incredible! Clean, nice, well insulated, and very spacious. The park itself is very nice, lots of hiking trails available and a fairly nice beach. Loses one star because the bathrooms (at least the ones near our camp) were not nice and had a permanent sewage smell.
Samo Szakal — Google review
Fabulous park! The day use beach is beautiful white sand and dog friendly, the campers beaches were all rock and not as nice. We camped in Huron and the site was large, flat, had a lot of privacy, and an older comfort station. We'll come back but probably try to get a site closer to the day use beach as it was the only one that was nice for swimming.

In winter my husband and I stayed in a cabin and it was absolutely amazing. I'm used to tent camping in winter, this was luxury!
There was a propane fireplace that heated our cabin within minutes and if anything it was too hot a few times and we had to open a couple of windows. The beds were more than comfortable and very sanitary. The small fridge was perfect for our needs.
We enjoyed a nice fire outside at the pit in the evenings and I went for a polar plunge in the lake. Cannot wait to return!

Great trails and lovely beach. The facilities were clean. Customer service was great. We stayed in a Yurt and it had everything we needed (electricity, indoor hearing, propane bbq and stove, comfortable bunk beds).
Manuela Quintero — Google review
My daughter and I spent the May long weekend there, and we really. In spite of it being a long weekend it never felt overcrowded. The people we song we're all friendly. And this included a cross-section of cultures. Trails were easy to follow. Most trails were both cyclable as well as walkable. The beaches were clean, in fact the whole park was very clean. The only critique I really had was for the younger staff. I think they forget that while they're on duty, they are being watched by all campers. Goofing around or behaving unprofessionally can be done I a staff area but never in places like the shower areas where campers are waiting to get in. Nor should this be the case in camping areas. Older staff clearly understood this, for example in the store.

Very nice park, nice private campsites, great scenery, good hiking trails. I just wish their trail heads and routes had more signage at each trail. You will need the map they give you on admission for every hike otherwise it leaves you guessing a bit.

Excellent park with clean facilities. This is one of the few parks where if you visit once , you will visit again and again. Most of the camp grounds are separated from the other very nicely . The park is pet friendly and you will find many of the campers with their pets. Children will love to play in the play ground and the beaches are also very quite and fun to sun bath

Great camp sites for the off season, plenty of nice hikes and a campground host so you can buy wood in the off season without trekking all the way back to the front office. In the summer, swimming can be a bit slimy near the shore but clears further out. Check out the self guided forest therapy hike on the first part of the tower trail.

We had an absolutely wonderful time renting a cabin here. We’ll definitely be back again next winter. Cabins were clean, warm and cozy. The park is gorgeous and we lucked out with the perfect weather.

Nice beach, great sunsets, lovely trails, excellent cycling park, campsites are large and mostly private, staff was friendly. Got it right with separate trailer fill/dump stations. Should be Ontario Park standard. Comfort station was clean and the oak veneer stall paneling is a nice touch. 😉 Just hate to take away one star for the terrible location of the hydro posts for electrical sites. I understand why they do it. It's more economical. But you'll need 60 feet of cord for most sites.
Chris Whaley — Google review
We spent a weekend camping here. Had the most privacy of any provincial park campsite we've ever been to. Felt like you were alone in the woods. Facilities were clean and well marked. The sunset from the beach was beautiful. The staff we all super friendly and eager to help. Didn't do much in the park as we spent most of the weekend at the grotto, but still a fantastic place.
Brent — Google review
One of the best Provincial Parks we have been to. Our site (167) was private and level. On the day we were there it was quiet enough although the sites were full of families with young children. The beaches are probably too far for most people to walk carrying stuff, so you'll want to drive, but there is plenty of parking next to the beach. Sunset Point is worth the walk. The best beach is the day use one, which is absolutely delightful on a sunny day, and totally doggie friendly. It also has one of the few comfort stations with light and heat and flushing toilets. This is important because most of the other toilets are vault toilets, only suitable for use in an emergency!!!
Paul Robinson — Google review
One of our most favourite provincial parks in Ontario. Booked on a whim and now we find ourselves spending at least a week here every summer. Spectacular sunsets, large and private sites, and a great proximity to Port Elgin and Sauble beach. If you're looking for a provincial park with exceptional beaches, plenty of electrical sites, and well maintained biking/hiking trails this is the one for you. Cannot say enough good things about this Park.
A Historic Beacon with Scenic Views!
Visited the Kincardine Lighthouse and Museum and was thoroughly charmed by its historic appeal. The climb to the top rewards with panoramic views of the harbour. The museum is small but packed with interesting local history. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Only wished there were more interactive exhibits. Nonetheless, a great spot for photography and learning about Kincardine's maritime past. Would recommend a visit!

By the time we got there was after the sunset but I think this is a great place to see a sunset. There are two piers but they do not let people go there. The beach is closed and no boats there yet. It is sad that the regular people can not enjoy anything but those that has cottages with front beach they are allowed.

Nice place to visit and do the sights and the day we came they had a street festival.
What a bless to have the view from the bridge. The fall colour, fresh air, the shady trail, and the shallow river below for fishing. Another must go place in Goderich. Lots of parking on the entrance by the trail to the bridge. Short and easy way up there. Not crowded even on Sunday.

Part of the Tiger Dunlop trail. Free parking at the south end of the bridge- walk up the gravel path for a stunning view of the golf course on the right/east. Lots of birds.
The bridge is amazing and there are some historical signs.
On the left/west side, at the north end is a loop trail - no distance but I would say maybe 2km? It is mostly flat and easy to follow. It follows the river at first, so you can see (and hear) the salt mine facilitates. I thought it would bring us to a nice view of Lake Huron, but no. It’s all woods. There is an ancient oak tree with it’s story on a plaque. When you get back to the bridge you can continue north if desired.

Amazing! It's a well maintained wooden bridge. It's fantastic scenery from the bridge. You can overlook people fishing on the boat and canoeing. Some people rode through the bridge. We were there in a Saturday morning in September. It's not crowded. The parking is free with 3 hours limited. It's close to water front tourist area.

Perfect day to walk and see a nice view of Lake Huron, parking is free ( big bonus! )... there are trails that you can enjoy after the bridge as well.
We walked here last July 2nd, and the view was super pretty. We even saw a beaver from the other side of the river swimming across. Just perfect for our afternoon delight.

What a beautiful day for a walk on the bridge, they called for rain but we missed it. My friend and I enjoyed the beautiful view and met the sweetest lady who was camping near by, she told us about her travels. I think we were both in awe at her experiences, she was retired and just camping from place to place. Thanks for the wonderful, memorable day.

The Huron Historic Gaol, a distinctive building that operated as a jail with a focus on humane treatment since 1841, is now a popular tourist destination in Goderich. Visitors from around the globe flock to this site, often booking tours in advance. Led by knowledgeable guides, these tours take guests through the corridors while providing insights into its history. Goderich boasts rich Ontario history and the Huron Gaol stands out as one of its key attractions.
Neat little history stop for those looking to learn about Canada’s past. Was very interesting to learn about the penal system back in the olden days. The Governor’s house was really cool to see, very well preserved with some great facts to read about as you go around. Staff were friendly. Not ideal for those with mobility challenges though.

Very fascinating to see in person. Almost medieval the way things used to operate at this place back when it was still in use. Definitely worth checking out.

So happy we stopped in to visit! We were the only two people visiting this morning which was great! They give you your own audio wand that you punch in the numbers to hear information about this person or that room. Nice, short and sweet, gets to the point and is interesting to listen to if you don’t want to read. I liked having my own audio wand and wasn’t distracting for others.
Spiral staircase was fun and learning around the prisoners and that most stayed in jail for a month but still tried to escape. Interesting to know the house was built onto the jail, and family lived right on sight which is crazy. Definitely recommend you stop here and check it out. So much to see and learn about.

Unfortunately this monument was closed at the time I visited. Beautiful from the outside and can only imagine what the interior looks like.
Well maintained exterior grounds. Lots of parking and gives a true sense on were we can from as it's older than Canada as we know it.

We took my son, 7 years old, and my niece, 4 years old, for a visit here. They loved walking around the old cells, and seeing the other areas of the gaol. I really enjoyed the information presented in the displays. I learned quite a lot.

Cool jail to check it out! Spent about an hour there. There was way more stuff to look, read, and listen than I thought. $ is totally worth it. If you're visiting goderich check it out
Martina P — Google review
My family explores the gaol earlier today. It could have been better with real your guides (rather than devices you hold up to your ear--of which they didn't have enough) but the facility is well done and admission is reasonably priced. They told me it's always busy on rainy days, so if you want to avoid crowds, go on days with nice weather.
Peter Law — Google review
I strongly recommend visiting this historic site...it's like no other you've been to. I learned a lot about life in the past for the inmates and the goalers (and their families). It was surprising to learn that young children were also jailed (there). I'm glad for the persistence of the "Save The Jail" Society for now many will learn of this important part of history of Huron County. It was good comparing the living quarters of the goaler's family before and after the building of the Governor's house. If you have the time, I recommended visiting this site.

Wow. The Historic Gaol is a must see if you are in the area. The entrance fee is reasonable and there was plenty of parking close to the entrance. The only drawback is there are many curving, steep steps to negotiate to see the entire building. It is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
A handheld audio tour is included and a must so as not to miss anything.
They recommend 45 minutes, but we actually took twice that to take in the entire experience of Gaol life in the 19th century.
Can't say enough about how interesting we found this building.
Pamela Hoos — Google review
Had audio tours, but had to use their devices and hold it. I think they could have done better with structuring the material around a timeline. Following when each major event happened was not the easiest. But all in all great historical details and educational.

Grand Bend Beach is an urban beach situated in Ontario, Canada. This beach is famous for its water sports rentals and a boardwalk filled with shops and eateries. It has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag certification for meeting rigorous criteria such as safety, environmental management and high-quality water standards. The town of Grand Bend has a long history as one of the first beach towns in the region, where visitors can enjoy ice cream stands, hot food sellers and other summer activities.
My favorite beach out of all. I come here 2-3 times every summer. Nice long drive with peaceful scenery and a big beach which will make you want come here every summer.

This area really is an amazing place. Feels like the Caribbean on calm sunny days, and the Pacific (surfs up) on rough days. Everyone should experience both! Grand Bend Beach is a well equipped location complete with water park, life guards, concession and lots of bathrooms. It does get busy though, and traffic is a total disaster up the strip so plan ahead. Live music at the beautiful band stand, sponsored by many members of the community including Ellison Travel. Enjoy!

Great beach! Nice sand and very wide. It can get packed on summer weekends, but otherwise our favorite Lake Huron beach. Water is very swimmable. Beautiful sunsets of course. Quite a few restaurants and bars close by to grab a bite and a beverage. Be aware that parking is limited.
Alexander Babin — Google review
Grand Bend was packed on a hot August weekend. Water and sand is stunning. All day parking is $25 but it's all luck to get a spot. Washrooms, change rooms and water fountain available on site. Rocky along the shore when you're stepping in but then it's sandy. It gets deep without walking too far out. If you don't pack food there's food avail from different vendors. If you forgot any beach gear they have local shops. Evenings they have live music. Bylaw officers patrol the beach. Dogs aren't allowed here you have to bring them to another area (or receive a ticket). Believe the hype about this place.
Tiger Lilly — Google review
You got to get here nice and early if you want to find a spot. Parking fills up pretty quickly and so do spots on the beach, both were packed. Actually, it's probably best to stay here overnight, we did a day trip from Toronto and it was exhausting. Definitely take a walk up and down the strip and check out all the shops, you'll find some nice patios and fast food. The actual beach is very nice. The water was semi calm and cool. You can hang back with your cooler full of snacks and drinks. And have a good time. I'll be going back next summer.

I come here very often for sunset observing or just want a solitude time by the beach. It’s nice, quiet and peaceful. Parking does cost a bit, no alcoholic access. Police will check before you enter the main beach.

The entire town is busy in Summer and Spring, and often times over crowded and “almost every piece of asphalt is paid parking”. But Grand Bend has some of the most beautiful beach sight and you are able to see the sunset view across the Lake. There is amole space and scope to swim and enjoy the food afterwards. The whole town is a tourist town so, you will have your time taken by buying all nity grity stuffs from local stores. Not much to do in winter and very cold too (often cold in summer too), and the town seems to lose its charm. The distance is also very far, specially if you are travelling from a 401 city. “Anakin Skywalker” would probably avoid this place

Extremely nice beach with tons of food/patio options. Outdoor shopping and indoor shopping with tons of different things. Beautiful apartment buildings and occasional live music. I will absolutely be returning for more. Life guards take their job seriously and they absolutely add to the vibe and security of the beach. Feels more California than some California beaches.
TONS of people though. If people aren’t your thing, avoid this beach. I visited on a Saturday and there were thousands of people.

Grand Bend has never failed to please us.
It was my second time visiting Grand Bend Beach with family and friends
Pros:
- Clear water with waves 🌊🏖️
- Soft sand
- Plenty of options to eat/dine in
Cons:
- Parking isn't available easily 🅿️❌
- Always long lines for Washroom 🚻☹️
but good that they have a few changing rooms inside the washroom
- Never find the best place/area to sit because it is always crowded because of the weekends especially during Summer
But my kid and my friend's kid always love playing on the beach and swimming in the water so it is all worth visiting Grand Bend 😍🏖️🩴🐚🌊

Visited in August 2023. Water was clean (lots of waves) and beach area was busy but clean as well. Was surprised by the amount of rules and constant checking by the by-law officers. They are walking up and down the beach all day to enforce rules.
A couple of things to note: no alcohol, no smoking, no pop-up tents, and no barbecuing. Lots of rules but that keeps the rest of the beach pleasant.

Grand Bend Beach offers an enchanting escape that makes the two-hour drive well worth the journey. My recent visit on a sunny Sunday morning left me in awe of its natural beauty and the splendid experiences it had to offer.
Arriving at the beach around 10 am, we opted to park in the north parking lots. The early start worked to our advantage as there was ample parking available at that time. However, I'd advise future visitors to aim for an early arrival, as the lots tend to fill up rapidly after 11:30 am.
The moment we stepped onto the beach, we were greeted by a scene of sheer serenity. The pristine shores stretched before us, adorned with fine golden sand and caressed by the gentle waves of Lake Huron. The beauty of the surroundings was complemented by the perfect weather, creating an ideal setting for a day of relaxation and fun.
The highlight, of course, was the water itself. Crystal-clear and inviting, it was a true pleasure to swim in. The temperature was just right – refreshing enough to provide relief from the sun's warmth, yet not too chilly to deter us from taking a dip. Whether swimming or simply wading in the shallows, the experience was nothing short of rejuvenating.
Grand Bend Beach has undoubtedly earned its reputation as a popular destination. The combination of its stunning shoreline, inviting waters, and the pleasant weather makes it a true gem for anyone seeking a beach getaway. As you plan your visit, remember that arriving early is the key to securing convenient parking and making the most of your time by the water. All in all, my day at Grand Bend Beach left me with wonderful memories and a strong desire to return for more moments of bliss along its picturesque shores.
Pinery Provincial Park, situated on the pristine shores of Lake Huron and located just outside Grand Bend in Ontario, is a vast coastal park area spanning 21 square kilometers. The park offers a plethora of outdoor activities year-round, including hiking and biking trails, groomed ski trails, camping options ranging from car camping to group camping in cabins or yurts.
The beach view is great! I won't recommend it for hiking tho. It's very flat. But a great place for camping! We went in mid-April and it was still cold. It snowed one night. You want to get prepared with a thick sleeping bag for -15/-20 degree temperature to keep warm.

Beautiful beach!
One of the best beaches in Ontario.
Breathtaking colors, clean shallow beach, safe to swim for kids as well.
There are pebbles along the shoreline, few steps into into the water, sensitive feet may require water shoes.
Cool camping sites.
Washrooms and changing rooms may need some improvement.
Weekends are quite busy with 10-20 minutes waiting time at the entry gate.
Overall beautiful, good experience!

I love this park! Lots of nice trails and the beach is beautiful. There is a dog beach as well. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Lots of activities to do as well. You can rent canoes and kayaks as well as bikes to go trail riding.
You have to pay for day use or book your campsite online. I advise doing this early so you can be sure to get a good spot.
Lots of bathrooms and they even have showers at some of them too. Be sure to get a park map so you can find where all the amenities are throughout the park.
Amazing views, a beautiful place to spend the day.

Went there for camping for 2 nights this summer. Some campgrounds are so small. And the washrooms near by the camping area doesn't flush very well and smells around the faucet. The electrical washrooms, however are good.

Piney Park was a beautiful place to visit. The beach was lovely, the water was clean and crisp. The park is well-maintained, considering how big it is. This isn’t a complaint for the staff or even the facilities. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is because the park is huge. It’s just not the vibe that our family likes, and we weren’t expecting it. There is a lot to do within the park, with a store and a separate rental space. But you have to drive everywhere, or accept that bike rides will be longer than at most provincial parks. That means with two kids under four, you are having to use the bike trailer to go everywhere instead of having them bike themselves. Same goes for putting the kayak’s in, since you can walk if from your site. Cars also really drive way too fast in the park, and the speed limit didn’t seem to be enforced. The nearby Grand Bend was really a great place to visit off-site, and if we went back we’d spend a full day there. As my kids get older, I’m absolutely sure that this four star will turn into a five star. But I just want parents to know what to expect! It’s kind of like visiting Algonquin, but without the highway.

Beautiful park. Great for first time campers and family’s with small children! They have kayak, canoe, and bike rentals, a well-stocked park store with groceries, a small restaurant for something quick to eat, and a cute ice-cream shop. They also have activities and programs for kids (check their calendar) and amazing trails.
The beach is amazing but there are a lot of rocks on the shore so water shoes are very helpful. The dunes beach (accessed only if you’re camping there) is beautiful but the parking gets full QUICK and is a great spot for the sunset. The day/use beaches P1-9 are great but the further you go, the harder the trek is to the beach from the parking. The easiest accessible lot (non-dog beach) is P3&P4.
The bathrooms and showers are cleaned between 2pm and 3pm everyday, and the park staff are very friendly!

We always wanted to go to this park and finally could do it on a very chilly weekend 🥶. We went for day use only and had our parking pass booked online. The map given to us at the entrance was very helpful and showed us a very detailed view of the park. We headed to the P2 parking lot at the beach and started our walk on the very very beautiful and sandy beach . It was cold, windy and very chilly on a sunny day but the walk was so worth it with the calming sound of the waves of lake Huron and almost the entire beach available to us, there were hardly 8-10 people that we could see as far as our eyes could. There are many viewpoints on the map, but honestly all the views are the same 😁. If you are parked at the P4 parking lot ,then you can watch the lake from your car. There are park stores, a visitor center and a cafeteria in the park but they are open only during the summer(post May). So, during the off season please pack a picnic and enjoy a fun day walking, swimming, running and on the beach. We waited until sunset and watched one of the most beautiful sunsets that we have in Ontario. Please note that there are no lifeguards on the beach.

The park staff are nice and friendly! The campground/park is well maintained and very clean! Some areas of the park (trails, campgrounds, etc…) are closed for the season but there’s still a few trails that are open. The day use area is open until 10pm which holds nice big picnic shelters, picnic tables, pit toilets and several beach areas including a pet beach. Since I visited during the off season, the campground was very quiet with only a few campers around. I stayed at the Riverside campground (not that much privacy since the campsites are so close to each other) and noticed they also have yurts (not the tent kind, more like a tiny cabin).

Beautiful park. Well kept, and the bathrooms and showers were also clean. The dog beaches are great. Would love to see some improvements in the trailer dump sites. There are only 2 dump sites for the whole park and only 1 RV can dump at a time, causing big line ups. We had to wait 1 hr to dump before leaving the park. Additional dump sites, or multiple dump spots on each dump site would greatly minimize any line ups, and allow guests to leave in a timely manner. All in all, a great place for camping. I will be visiting again in the future.

Pinery provincial park is a fantastic place for either a day use or camping. We have visited a couple times and every-time there is some good happening there. There is not much of winters activities in the area so we were surprised with all the options at Pinery. They have snowshoeing, Cross Country skiing, Tobogganing etc.. if you go at the right time the line ups are jot to bad, but this place can get sometimes really busy and have long lineups. Closer to other options like Grand Bend makes its an ideal spot. Will be visiting again.

Fairly large and very well travelled Provincial park. The beaches are very nice and you always get a beautiful sunset. Dog friendly beaches on both ends of the park. Campsites are fairly private and most are decent quality. As with all provincial parks, the online reservation system gives you a good idea what to expect from each site. Each campsite is a little different, but all are close to the beach. Visit many times a year! Even has skiing during the winter season.

Wonderful Park. Great beach, excellent store, great sites, great staff. I have stayed at 7 different parks this summer and this would be my favourite. As always, check the site thoroughly when booking on line. While most are large and well treed they tend to. Be shallow and sometimes poor privacy. Also, be prepared for a long run to electrical. My site was about 25 m but description said only 15. That is a huge difference.

This isn't a hotel, it's a campsite. I went with a group of 12, and we had a blast. The site was large, well laid out, and in good repair. The bathrooms were clean and in good repair. The beach is within walking distance and was great. Accessible only to guests of the park, it wasn't overcrowded. There are no lifeguards, so keep that in mind if you've got little ones or aren't the strongest swimmer. The winds can really kick up the waves, and the undertow was quite strong.

Came to the Park for the beach. I reserved online in advance for the day use. The beach is a mix of pebbles and sand. The water is clear and I didn't see much algae. To access the beach, once you parked, there is a path over the dunes from the parking to the beach. There is a hand and foot washing station near the parking as well as washrooms and picnic benches under a shelter.
There are more washrooms near the beach as well. The beach was not crowded. Advisable to wear water shoes makes it easier to walk on the pebbles. The water was calm during the day but the waves got heavier towards the evening.
It's fun driving in the park the road is paved and surrounded with trees.
There is a store in the park. Rental for bike and canoe.

The park itself is great, the staff is great as well. Washrooms are clean. The only issue is the gate system. Unlike every other PP, you have to wait in line everytime you leave the park even if you already have your permit. Some days if you pop out to get supplies you can wait an hour or more just to get back in. They need to open an additional lane for permit holders.

We went there on a weekend of late fall for a day trip. Barely anyone else was there on the beach. There are total 9 beaches. But only #9 was open to park our car. The park people were nice and very friendly. This park is great for cycling. Paved roads are long enough to ride a bicycle and enjoy the spectacular view of nature. We enjoyed a great view of sunset from the canoo launch platform near the shop. It was one of the greatest memories to remember in coming days. There are many trails to explore. We will definitely give it another visit.

Beautiful large expanse of sandy beach. Lake Huron water is bracing . Be mindful of the strong undertow. Sensitive eco systems throughout the park so visitors are encouraged to stick to the trails. Loads of hiking opportunities !
Upon arrival you are given a map which outlines the various points of entry. Each point of entry has a separate parking area with comfort station. The comfort station consists of a small sink, counter, mirror and soap. This is all open concept and directly outside of the outhouse. We changed in our car.
The entire beach and surrounding areas were very clean. Well maintained park.
Gorgeous natural setting ! Kick back and listen to the waves rolling in on the beach. Reconnect with your happy place.

Checked into the lake view hills golf and country club and was greeted warmly and efficiently. We hit the links and the course was in good shape and our foursome enjoyed our round till it was interrupted by rain. Our clubs where looked after by the staff so back to our rooms for some r&r and then to the dining room for dinner and it was a delicious meal. Not many patrons so we had more attention from the staff and everyone was so friendly. We had rain on Tuesday morning so went for some shopping and a visit at the Cadillac House, so great, very historic with a bartender (Jake/Jacob) that mixed up some delicious mango maniacs, so good! Then back to hit the links and managed to finish 15 holes. Dinner was very good again, Wednesday got the full 18 in and really want Dennis and all his staff how much we enjoyed ourselves at his lovely golf course thanks again from the Birdie Babzs….all the best for the rest of the summer, thanks again from your fans from Canada!!

First time I have Stayed here 2nd for my parents who said the rooms have been remodeled since their last stay in 2019and they were very nice. The beds and pillows were so comfortable everything was spotless, pure clean white towels. Shower was beautifully done and view to the golf course was nice.

Had a great day. I wish the starter had let us play the front nine rather than starting us on the back. By the time we finished our first 9 the front was backed up for a good hour, so we just played the back again. Kind of disappointing. Otherwise enjoyed my round and will be back

Have stayed here for many years on and off, but they have not been too willing to work with us. They have done some remodeling and the rates reflect it, more than double the price. Maybe to recoup the investment quickly. Same lumpy beds as they had before. Only bright spot is that it's close to where we work.

Course has driving range ..south course has little elevation , blind shots, tight fairways, greens are in good shape , over all good pace of play, book early so you don't get stuck be 4 somes and families .

Nicely laid out course. There’s a few long par-5s but mostly 3&4’s. There’s a putting green but no driving range so better warm up in advance. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

My hubby and I loved the food..it was amazing! We had the perch, salad and french fries....oh my goodness we never ever tasted french fries that good...
Our server was Caitlyn, she was just awesome, so friendly, always smiling and all around just the greatest! We will definitely be back...

This place is absolutely amazing. Gorgeous views, right by the water. We felt so welcome. The food was amazingly delicious and the staff was pleasant.
The rooms are super nice. I would recommend this as a vacation spot for everyone.

This was over a year ago, so maybe things were different for 2023, but this place left me with an odd taste in my mouth. The whole experience was very uneven. A group of us stayed in the on-course house and I can't say enough good things about that place. Spacious old school house with game room, etc. Incredibly convenient being right on the course.
Things were weird from the beginning though when they would not let me pay for my golf/lodging with a gift card that I'd been given as a gift. Didn't seem to make any sense, but whatever, I'd be needing it for food, drinks, etc. anyway. Well, every time I tried to use it at the bar, restaurant, etc., it was a huge issue. They would need to call someone and go through a huge rigamarole to get this card to work to the point that it made me feel bad for wanting to use my card-which would have been not an issue at all if they would have just let it go towards my room/golf. It really made no sense.
I got the feeling that the place is not very organized and that there are various parties at work that are not all on the same page. I also felt overwhelmingly that since we were a group of out of town guys renting the house, they automatically assumed that we were going to trash the place and cause problems. I felt tolerated more than welcomed. They didn't seem to want us to be there, much less have a good time. It's little things-like I understand if you want to be sticklers about bringing your own beer on the course (they sticker every can to make sure it's legit). Most courses have a gentleman's agreement that you buy some, you bring some. But if you want to be a stickler, at least make it easy to buy from the clubhouse!
It also seemed that they had no idea of who was where on the course. 12 of us where scheduled to play 36 and we needed to eat lunch at the pub in between rounds pretty quick to make out time. They were totally unprepared to handle us-even though they knew when we'd be off the course and when we needed to get back on.
The courses themselves were great designs-but even the fairways were pretty thick-making it hard to find the balls but I get it-course maintenance is tough. I never got any perch-it got devoured by another group immediately. Point is-the place has great potential. but if you're going to be in the hospitality business-you need to be hospitable. Guests should feel welcome, not treated with passive-aggressive surliness. Hope things have changed.
Ben Shooner — Google review
Played the south course for the 1st time. Overall its a decent course. However considering its $65 and out in the middle of nowhere I would expect the fairways to be better maintained. Really couldn't tell the difference between the fairway and rough on most holes.
Also the pin placement was silly. Like why would you cut a pin on a steep slope on multiple holes? If the ball comes to a stop 2 inches from the hole it shouldn't roll off the green.
The pace of play was good and the staff was friendly.

The owner was so unprofessional and had an attitude . We complained about the pool being green , which is bacteria. He thinks it's iron in the water . I was told by a pool guy that iron would turn it orange. We are upset by his attitude more than anything else. The workers at the front desk continue on a personal call why she made us wait. The coffee pit didn't work, no toilet paper. Terrible service, terrible owner. Also, the owner cuts you every time
You tried to explain something, not good business.

Has potential to be a great course. Ive played here quite a bit and ive seen it in amazing shape before. Just needs a little maintenance and this place can be a good test and a fun time! Would really love to see this place revamp there bunkers. Some nice edged bunkers and flat tee boxes. Quite a few hilly mounds on some of the tee boxes.

Horrified after a large dinner party. Portions are small & outrageously priced. One glass of wine was $18. Service was slow. Food was cold. We'll never return & neither should you!
A beautiful facility that offers for than just golfing.
Relaxation, friends and beautiful surroundings all come to mind when at Fire Rock.
Beautiful course and you feel one with nature while here. It is truely an experience.

We ate inside the restaurant because we had a newborn with us. The patio is much nicer than inside the building. Food was solid, our kids enjoyed the pasta. Pad Thai was alright but didn’t have much peanut flavour. Fish tacos were good but smaller sized serving.

Very nice course. Lots of character and well maintained. The only negative, and it's a fairly big one is the bunkers. The front nine is old, rough, brown sand. The back is gravel....literally. if the would do white sand in the traps, this would be an easy 5 star. Oh, and no beverage cart but that that may because we played on a Wednesday morning.

Awful… called in advance to see if they were opened. Yes was the reply until 7 pm. Waited nearly an hour for nachos, we were the only ones on the patio / restaurant. Would have preferred an honest answer .. sorry the kitchen is not opened yet.!!! 30 dollars for precooked chicken nachos. Very disappointed in overall service and wait time. This was on a Sunday.

My partner, Jake, and I got married at FireRock Golf Club in September 2021 and it was the absolute best choice we could have made. We were looking for a one-stop-shop venue that could host the wedding ceremony and the reception. FireRock checked all of our boxes and more!
Katie and her team were phenomenal and provided complete start to finish planning and execution. They were with us every step of the way and no question or concern went unanswered. Table linens, dinnerware, cutlery, bridal lounge, set up and takedown amongst many other touches were included making FireRock the full package.
There was no stress regarding our outdoor ceremony thanks to the retractable patio roof. Thankfully the weather was beautiful, however we still used the roof for added shade and to reduce any overexposed lighting for photos and filming.
The food did not disappoint, our guests are still raving about the roasted red pepper soup. We enjoyed a tasting evening with our maid of honour, best man, and our moms. We got to sample all the seasonal offerings which helped us choose the wedding menu with confidence.
I was thrilled with the requested burrito bowl (Chipotle inspired) as the vegan entree which wasn’t even an available option. FireRock made my wedding taco dreams come true with a fantastic late night build-your-own taco bar complete with multiple proteins and toppings to choose from. They allowed us to bring our favourite hot sauces to spice up and personalize the table. We loved the special touch of the bride and groom signature drinks and we could drink those caesar cocktails for days!
It was truly a day to remember that we will cherish for the rest of our lives! Our friends and family danced the night away and weren’t ready to head home. We are so grateful that FireRock helped us pull off an incredible wedding which gave us many happy memories and laughs for years to come. 💙

I visited the pub restaurant just to eat.
There are seats available at the bar, table, and also patio which is very nice.
The seats inside the restaurant is little bit dark, so some people might experiencing hard time reading the menus.
When the weather is nice, I would reccomend seating in the patio area with a beer which will feel you "I enjoyed the day" mood.
I tried the house-made burgers and it was very delicious and when you take-out the burger, you will also like it as well.

I played FireRock today in a foursome. The course is in outstanding shape. The pace of play was great - we finished the round in 4 hours and 5 minutes. Greens were fast and challenging. If you are looking for an exceptional public course to play in the area, this is it. The staff are friendly and welcoming. A round of drinks and a meal on The Pub’s patio is a wonderful way to cap off your day on the links.

It was great to get out to play our 1st round of golf, in early March, at one of our favorite courses, FireRock GC. The course was in amazing shape for this time of year. Greens were quick and consistent. It was a little spongy in spots but mainly nicely dried out. Did I mention it's only Mar 4th? It was a popular spot so it was a bit backed up (about 20 minutes behind schedule) when we teed off just after noon. We just enjoyed the 21 degree day and ignored the slightly slower pace of play.

Went later in the season (Nov) but was a great day for golf. Played 18 on a Sunday afternoon. Course was quite soggy but playable. The grounds crew has done a great job keeping the leaves off the green so finding your ball was a breeze. Only negative is that the bathrooms huts were locked, and when we finished our round at 4:30 the clubhouse was locked up, so there was no where to go to the bathroom.

Katie and her team at Fire Rock were absolutely fantastic during our wedding, rehearsal and the whole planning process! The whole staff were extremely friendly, professional and attentive and the food was incredible! Our guests are still talking about how awesome the staff and food were at our wedding. We appreciated all of the little details and gestures that made our day so special and seamless. Simple touches like providing individually requested drinks on the head table, prior to our entrance really impressed myself, my husband, our parents and our VERY LARGE wedding party. They also made sure appetizers were placed in the Bridal Suit for the bridesmaids that were busy breastfeeding during our cocktail hour. The golf course and the driveway provided the perfect backdrop for our first look and our wedding party photos. We would HIGHLY recommend Fire Rock to anyone looking for a wedding/event venue! Thank you again to all of the staff at FR!
Canatara Beach & Park is a picturesque destination on Ontario's Blue Coast that offers a range of recreational activities for visitors. In addition to its crystal clear waters, this Blue Flag Beach features a rocky shoreline that adds to its natural beauty. The park also boasts a petting zoo, BMX track and mini train ride for kids and families to enjoy. Canatara Beach is an accessible location that provides plastic mats for strollers and wheelchairs.
Nice beach . It's still early in the season and facilities are closed. The weather is starting to get nice, maybe summer will finally show its face. There is a ton of nearly kept trails, and the sunset / sunrise are gorgeous here on lake huron. I prefer the sunrises as there are very few people in the morning. Plenty of parking and benches to just sit and relax to enjoy the park. A note to dog owners, the beaches are off limits to them as the city has a bylaw in place, although I've seen a few people walking their dogs early on. Personally i have no issues with that as all the owners I've seen are responsible.

Beautiful day - 17 degrees. Feb. 9/24 The sand was quite clean which made our walk enjoyable all along the beach. The park itself is quite large with many people out and about today, along with their canine friends. There was one brave soul who tested the water! I would guess this is a beautiful park for swimming during the summer months. A place to relax, take a moment, and enjoy the water.

Nice and Clean, Easily Accessible Park!
My family and I made a brief stop last summer (Aug 2021) at this place to have a glimpse of famous clear bluish waters of Lake Huron. Everything I read about was true. It's unfortunate we didn't swim because of time constraints and weather (very sunny but cool & windy). I marked this place on my itinerary for the next time we visit.

Yes! Certain other communities could learn a lesson from sarnia ! Fabulous beach, sparkling water( a little rocky in the first few feet of the the water though). Loads of FREE parking right at the beach, so no stress about meters, ticket machines that don't work ( Port Stanley) limited spaces or having to park in areas to far to trek to and from with all the stuff we all haul to the beach . We spent a few days here , it was perfect.

Well, Canatara Beach & Park is like a magical escape! When I got there, the sand was soft, the sun was shining, and I could hear the waves crashing. The park was full of green trees and colorful flowers that made the whole place look amazing.
The best part was feeling so peaceful. I walked by the water and felt calm with the sound of the waves. And the sunset? It was like a painting in the sky, with beautiful colors that made me stop and stare.
I can say, this place isn't just a park—it's a place where you can make great memories and feel the magic of nature all around you. Whether you're looking for adventure or just a peaceful time, Canatara Beach & Park has it all!

Beautiful park and beach. We went on Labour day, and parking was no problem. It was also Free. There is chip truck near the beach area and washrooms are regularly being cleaned. Also no biting flies on this beach! Unlike all other beaches I've gone to this summer. The water is warm, with bearable waves for swimming.

Huge park with long Blue Flag Beach recognition. Lots of parking close to the beach. I only went to the beach area further into the park but the beach stretches for a long length. There was an icecream cart there and washroom facility (no showers) with foot wash station and charging plug for electric wheelchair. Washroom building opened from 8:00am-9:00pm. Building also houses a lifeguard station. There was lifeguard supervision in sessions of the beach as signage indicated. Beach was sandy with some pebbles. Monitored with video cameras. I enjoyed the beach, especially watching the water skiers and boats going by when I was relaxing and not in the water; however, I was NOT impressed with the litter people left on the beach...such a surprise! The beach closer to the entrance has showers and more facilities. As for the park itself, it is huge with lots of picnic tables and shady areas, trails, playgrounds, children's zoo, bike park with moguls. You can spend all day there if you want.

🌳The best park in Sarnia! It's a great place to relax, in nature, by the lake. Also, it has picnic areas(great for family reunions), dog friendly, washrooms, animal farm & play areas

The Blue Water Bridge is a stunning architectural marvel that connects Sarnia to the United States, offering breathtaking views of the sky-blue water and beautiful waterfront. This border community provides easy access to major markets in both Canada and the U.S., making it an ideal destination for travelers. The bridge itself may not be as visually striking as others, but its functionality and efficiency make it a popular choice for crossing between the two countries.
I always love making my way to the bridge. Not only is it amazing to have a border crossing so close to home for the purpose of travel. It's also beautiful just to see all year round.

Entry point from Canada to the US State of Michigan. Great view from the bridge. Very long wait for the people in cars. One single lane dedicated to cars. Towards the US end it sub divides into approximately seven lanes for border clearance. Post this , it all depends upon your luck how much of traffic you may face. Going either ways, it’s exactly the same story.
At the same time the Officials manning the respective posts are extremely cordial while performing their checks.

The water in August is not as blue as the one in June and July. Near the shore it was light green instead of crytal blue. The snake along shore in the park now is much bigger and longer. You have to except the bad traffic on some days and the great engineering of the massive bridge that crosses the St. Clair river. A beautiful area to watch the ship go down stream or enter the mouth of Lake Huron. French fries are available as well as a playground for the lil monkeys. Bring a light jacket for those cool evening visits. Also fish feeding is available at the Blue Water Fish Hatchery (not sure if that's the appropriate name).

One of the main bridges between Canada and the US.
We take this crossing a lot as we go to Toronto often.
The bridge itself is nice, not particularly pretty like the Ambassador bridge or Mackinaw bridge but it's very functional and moves fast.
The border patrol agents are all over. Some have been very polite and others are clearly on a power trip and looking for trouble but that seems to be the general vibe from all US government agents.
The fee is $3 for a car and is more than fair.
Crossing here is fast and most of the time an uneventful trip.

Great little outing for myself & my favorite Littles (aged 2 & 9). Pricing for touring the museum was very fair for the 3 of us. We learned a lot & we loved looking at all the animals- big & small- up close & personal. At the end of our adventure through the museum portion, we checked out the gift shop which had many unique & reasonably priced items.
One thing that would have made our experience even more enjoyable would be to have had a tour guide to help us take in all the information Stones 'N Bones has to offer.
All that being said, we are sure to be back in the future!!

This place is a hidden gem. Located in Sarnia’s bayside, the owner has amassed a tremendous collection of animal exhibits. Touch a beaver pelt, see fossils up close. Incredible examples of rare minerals. There are so many things to see. I’ve been there 3 times and I still feel like I haven’t seen everything. Often, the owner is there in person. The guides that take you through the exhibits are knowledgeable and overall lovely.

On June 7th my wife and I attended Where the Heart is and at the start of the performance a gentleman made a brief announcement about the play . At the end of his speech It was said -- I can't give you back your time but we can give back your money --- Well I am asking for reimbursement and so far am being denied. We departed at the intermission for reasons I have already given. Hope you have a change of heart. Thom Robinson

Just came from the opening show of Camelot, and I was totally blown away. All the performers were great, but Michael Vanhevel performance was entrancing. Hiss ability to emote was next level. He made us laugh, cry, and hold our breath. Bravo!!

Parks Blueberries is a charming country store offering a wide array of blueberry products, from jams to pies, and the opportunity to pick your own berries. The store also features an assortment of home decor, fashion items, and novelty products. Visitors can enjoy a cafeteria-style lunch with options like sandwiches, soups, and pizza, as well as delectable desserts and pastries. The on-site bakery is particularly renowned for its scrumptious scones.
The best selection of treats, the absolute best scones around, and love their beef pot pies, apple pies. The staff is friendly and very helpful

It's always a treat to visit PARKS BLUEBERRIES & COUNTRY STORE!
I haven't visited since October 2022, and the following noticeable changes have occurred:
1. Servings of lunch items are significantly smaller and more expensive.
2. No more added fresh blueberries on the plate or salad when ordering a meal.
3. No more asking if we wanted our pieces of pie heated or if we wanted whipped cream with the pie.
4. No more counter with utensils, cream/milk, or sugar for your coffee/tea. It makes ordering a hot drink awkward because I have my way of fixing up my tea or coffee. Now, I had to tell the server how much cream to put in my coffee until it had the right colour.
PARKS, please bring back the coffee counter and at least 1 free refill of coffee with the purchase of a meal.
5. By 5 p.m. there was only one salesperson left at the cash. She had to handle ringing through customers, go down isles to help customers, and handle a few price checks because items had no price tag on them.
PARKS, please bring back a couple of additional of your amazing salespeople! Have one on the sales floor to assist customers and answer questions and another at the till until closing time, especially on a holiday weekend.
6. I may be wrong here, but I was sure that Pumpkin Spice Muffins with Cream Cheese Filling were available in September 2022. I couldn't find any at this visit which was too bad. I hope they will be available soon!
7. On a positive note, we found a few unique and great items in the country store that we purchased.

Stopped by Parks Blueberries on our way home from camping. What a great little spot. There were a lot of nice home decor options and their desserts were spot on. The blueberry turnovers were my favorite. The sandwich counter at the back of the shop was a nice surprise if you're in need of a fresh sandwich or slice of warm pie. Prices were on the higher side of things but you can't beat a perfect blueberry and white chocolate scone!

Always a pleasure to visit! Lovely day trip, driving backroads countryside and picking out the quilt blocks on the barns. Gift shop is so unique. The bake shop is a must to bring home yummy treats. The restaurant offers homemade lunch and dessert offerings! Blueberries fresh or frozen are the best!!

We really enjoy taking a trip to Parks! All of the bake goods are amazing. My personal favorite is the blueberry lemon pound cake. I never come home with less than 4. They have an interesting store/gift shop to look around in as well.

The roast beef sandwich was excellent and enough for two meals. The egg salad sandwich was one of the best. Of course, had to follow with a dark chocolate raspberry scone and my partner had the mint Naniamo bar. Always a great spot to stop and pick up lunch for our travels in the area.

Best blueberries ever, I live over an hour away by car, but I will drive there just so I can make my muffins. It's only Parks Blueberries for me. Worth every penny. These are my fresh out of the oven, mouthwatering blueberries muffins.

Cute and well stocked little country store! Lots of unique kitchen items, as well as fresh baked goods. Frozen meat pies are excellent as well! The lunch counter is a nice addition, though the prices are high for the offerings. My $10 egg salad sandwich was bare bones (not even lettuce or a tomato slice). Definitely miss the blueberry tarts they used to have!
J. Shaw (Worms) — Google review
My family and I have been going here for several years. We enjoy having lunch and then picking blueberries. Unfortunately, Parks has priced themselves right out of our price range for blueberry picking. You have to pick at least 2 pounds per person and they're $3.75 (I'm pretty sure) per pound. With my husband and I, that's 4 pounds that we will never be able to use. Freeze them? We've done that. I just used up my last bag a week ago and they weren't that tasty. Lunch prices have gone up; as they have everywhere and the lunch staff were very curt today. The service at the lunch counter was far from friendly. So, with the higher prices, mandatory 2 lbs picking, I think we won't be back to Parks.

Foods great here, awesome store if you like country style decor! Pies for days! Lol also, I nice outing if you like picking your own blueberries. They have an amazing turkey club I get every time I stop there. Check it out if you're in the area, it's worth the stop.

Lovely place in the country full of gifts and food. The blueberries are ready to be picked you can pick or buy already picked. We went for lunch which is a cafeteria style where you grab a tray and order as you walk by. They have a good size menu of sandwich’s soups and even pizza. There are also desserts pie and other goodies. The best thing and the reason we go there is the scones. They are expensive but are the best 6 for 15.00. The scones are big, I usually cut them in half and freeze them. Thawing is quick or 30 sec in the microwave and they are good to go. If you need to get away for a little while try them out for lunch and a stroll through the gift shop and bakery. The scones are so good I’m glad I don’t live too close.

Always an amazing place to stop when you’re on the road any time of year. But it’s always extra special during Christmas season when you cut down your tree from Sloan’s right down the road & stop here for lunch right after. Their turkey dinner is absolutely outstanding. Oddly my favourite parts are definitely the squash & blueberry/cranberry sauce! They are both so well done I just can’t get enough of them! Highly recommend

Just spent an incredible two hours at the Josiah Henson Museum of African-Canadian History. From the moment we walked through the door, to the moment we left, we were treated like family. Our 11 year old had a project to do for school so we made the 2+ hour drive and are certainly glad we did. Those hesitant to go with children, shouldn't be! Jackie provided an age-appropriate description of history and historical artifacts that was interactive and engaging. The gift shop had wonderful items at very reasonable prices. Our child will have an incredible project to present now! Thank you for a fabulous visit!

We had our first virtual tour of this museum today, and loved it! Since it is not possible to go to a place that is so far from our school, it was wonderful to be able to receive a tour over Zoom! The hostess explained everything beautifully, at the level appropriate for my students. They could ask questions and ask for clarification when needed. We were able to see all of the buildings on the property and felt as if we were really there!
Above all, it was totally affordable.
I highly recommend this to all teachers studying this time in history.

We are delighted that we decided to visit the Josiah Henson Museum of African-Canadian History. The museum impressively portrays Josiah's transition from slavery in the United States to freedom in Canada. One highlight for us was the timeline exhibit in the Center, which vividly illustrates the challenges faced by Africans in various historical events over the centuries. Additionally, we appreciated the well-preserved historical buildings on the site, including Josiah's house, the church, and the new settler dwelling.
We were pleasantly surprised to discover that guided tours are available at the museum, which added to our overall experience. Special thanks to Morgan, who did an outstanding job as our tour guide!
We highly recommend a visit to this museum; it offers an exceptionally educational experience.

I had been wanting to visit this museum for a number of years and finally took the opportunity to come in, listen and learn, as well as pay my respects to Rev. Henson and family at the family cemetery. Jackie, Steven, and Whitney are wonderful ambassadors, and are truly dedicated in their passion to welcome guests, and share knowledge. I recommend taking a guided tour if it is available when you visit, as it will really bring history to life.
If you ever had a passing idea of visiting the Josiah Henson Museum of African-Canadian History, you must do so. Also be sure to spend some time perusing the items in the gift shop; from books to handmade items, you're sure to find something.

A busload of 40 women from the Bob Hayward Y in London attended the museum on June 27 2023, and were impressed, educated and delighted with the presentation by Jackie Bernard. Her passion about the subject matter moved us all, and brought to life the trials and tribulations of the freed black slaves. The “true” story of Uncle Tom’s cabin is one we should definitely hear!

I will return in 2024 for Emancipation Day and most likely again next Fall for a Teacher Workshop. In the U.S., the stories of the Underground Railroad end at the Canadian border and freedom. There is much more to be told!
Dave Bellamy — Google review
This hidden gem should be a destination spot for every Canadian, educator, history buff, and all around lover of people regardless of race. Learning who Josiah Henson was outside of being associated with Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beatrice Stowe was a paradigm shifting experience. As a Black person seeing and learning how 1 Black man was able to rescue his entire family plus 118 others from the evils of slavery, as a teen listened and memorized the bible because it was illegal to learn how to read to become a preacher and ultimately put Canada on the map as the only Black person to have an exhibit at Queen Victoria's world fair.
The ability to achieve that and more in the face of such adversity is what should be taught in every school and a visit to the museum a must as a school trip. It's not just Black history. It's our history - Canada's history.
Donna Cain — Google review
So let me start off by saying the sign on the 401 doesn't do this place justice. It's not just a historical site, but actually a history lesson in slavery and the underground railroad. There is an education centre, a short film and a historical timeline of significant dates in history. Then outside, there are actual buildings to go in plus the burial grounds of Josiah Henson and his family. You should definitely check it out.
Tanya Hutton — Google review
The facilitator's expertise and passion for the subject shone through brilliantly as she vividly brought to life the remarkable story of Josiah Henson and provided invaluable insights into African-Canadian history as a whole.

The park is okay, there's not a lot for kids if you're in the back sites. Very breezy and inconvenient times for the bathrooms to be closed and cleaned. And they were not well stocked on toilet paper.

We had a descent spot for our 44ft 5th wheel. Little gravel & grassy, pretty level. Only 30amp h/u, no water or sewer. Has dump & water fill station. When it rains the sites get pretty flooded & muddy. The mosquitoes are brutal. Dog walking & poop stations are good. Great biking trail. Views of river are great. There’s a shooting range there so you hear gunfire a lot. Very close to town for essentials. Had to pay $40 each for vehicle AND motorcycle for park passport, ridiculous! Oh and the roads & potholes are horrible! We would probably stay here again.

Park was clean and views were beautiful. I hate when campgrounds go on and on about the wood issue in Michigan and then don't sell wood. Other than that everything was nice. We will definitely be back

Their drone signage is illegal and violates PA 436 of 2016. The parks have absolutely no jurisdiction of drone usage and they’ve been sued numerous times and lost every suit.
Perfect state park campground other than the crumbling roads, which I assume will be repaired within a couple of years 🤷♂️
Surrounded by quiet, quaint little towns with a boardwalk in Algonac, a beautiful beach in Marine city and ma&pa restaurants along the entire river.

Nice park and friendly staff! This is a nice quiet campground and if you’re able to get a site on the river, you’re going to get a great view. If you are a boat nerd, this is definitely the place to be. Right now sites are just electricity, but I hear water and sewer are coming soon. The mosquitoes get bad at night, but that’s no fault of the park. My only complaint would be that the sewer area could be cleaned up and repaired a bit.

I'm so glad I purchased a pass to enjoy the Metro Parks! This is one of my favorites. I tend to park near the spot where you can enjoy the Wind Surfers and walk over to the wetlands park - beautifully preserved and cared for. I saw a Gopher and a Crane enjoying the beautiful day along with me. Perfect natural reset... 😍

What can I say. I absolutely love this park. Everything about it from the nature trail to the walking trail. I love the amount of nature that there is. The fall colors. Even in the winter which I do not like winter. This park is very pretty. The bathrooms are always clean. The park is open in 365 days a year. Every time I’m here I always try to snap a pic of some thing. If it’s a turtle or a bird or the water or the sunset or the sunrise or the deer or a groundhog, there’s many things. I’ve grown up coming to this park. Over the last couple years I went to all 13 metro parks in Michigan. I do prefer this one the most. These are some of my photos

The pool was clean, a little cold, but clean. Not to busy for a Friday. Arrived@ 1pm stayed until 5-530 pm. Lifeguards were on duty. Waterslide was fun! There's also rock climbing in the pool. It's $5 per person to enter into the pool area. Bathrooms were decent. Cafe has good food. Definitely would come back.

This is by far one of the best metro parks available in Michigan. I found it by accident- a pool near me charged 36 dollars for my toddler son and I, so we went looking elsewhere. $10 to enter the park on a daily pass- $40 for an annual pass. We have gone so often that the employee in the ticket booth noticed I had a ton of daily passes on my windshield- which equaled $40 so they said I can now get the annual pass when I turn in all of my daily passes, without having to pay another fee. Pool is $5 to get in and free for kids under 30 inches of height. The beach is no extra cost after you pay a daily or annual fee. The beach is beautiful, the water has been warm too. There are concessions available as well. We go at least twice a week now. The splash pad is no extra cost either.

Had my son's 2nd birthday at shelter J. I visited in June and worried about the taller grass around which had not been pictured when I booked the sheltered. There were bugs everywhere, because, you know, June. We had the party at the end of July. It was perfect. There were still bugs but not nearly as many, we didn't have a problem with gnats. The shelter was easily accessible via shuttle and was removed from all the beach activity which could still be enjoyed if you simply took a shuttle back. Our guests loved it too. There was a clean restroom nearby, a slide with a couple of swings, plenty of space to run around for all the kids. I'm thankful we hosted his birthday there.

A sunlit haven for photographers and families alike!
I recently had the chance to visit Lake St. Clair Metro Park at sunrise, and the experience was nothing short of magical. The way the early morning light touches the serene waters, creating an ever-changing canvas of hues, made for some truly breathtaking photographs. If you're an enthusiast of capturing nature's beauty, especially the calm elegance of dawn, this park is a must-visit.
But Lake St. Clair Metro Park isn't just for those with a camera in hand. It's evident that the park has been designed with everyone in mind. Families will find it particularly appealing. The waterpark, which caught my eye, seems like the perfect escape for the young ones to cool down and have a blast on a hot summer day. It's spacious, well-maintained, and filled with features sure to elicit joyful shrieks and laughter.
And then there's the expansive beach! Stretching out invitingly, the sandy shores offer ample space for picnics, sandcastle building, or simply lounging and taking in the tranquil surroundings.
All in all, Lake St. Clair Metro Park serves as a delightful blend of recreational activities and natural splendor. Whether you're an early bird photographer or a family in search of a wholesome outing, this park will exceed your expectations. Highly recommended!

Beautiful area with lots of walking paths and nature. Trails for great outdoors exploring, beaches and lakes for swimming or water sports. There's a nature center that has fish, turtles, and a snake and great information in animals around the area. They also have stuffed birds, owls, and animals from the area. Side note they have nice bathrooms too.
Just know that if you don't have a Metropark pass, it's $10/ day. Pack some lunch and snacks there's plenty to explore. Enjoy!

The nature area though a little small is still a nice place for a walk and allows the opportunity to see deer, owls, nesting water birds, and the usual assortment of small woodland friends! I decided to take my baby to the beach. He absolutely enjoyed it. As you can see he jumped in the water for a quick swim. In the playground they had a house with free books for the kids. I thought that was really nice, "take a book, give a book''. We walked around a bit people watching. Nice park with walking trails, beach views, and many activities for every season.
Par 3 golf, mini golf, pool, splash park, beach, picnic areas, sledding hill, cross country ski route in the winter, natural ponds for ice skating, lots of good spots for fishing.
There is a nice playground, with sections for children of all ages and an exercise center just outside the fence.
Lots of space taken up with parking lots however, and it can get busy on the weekend - especially during summer.
On a weekday or during other seasons it can be quite empty, and It’s almost like having the park to yourself

The Detroit Institute of Arts is an art museum located in Detroit, Michigan. It was founded in 1885 and has since grown to house over 100 galleries with a range of American and international art on display from ancient to modern eras. The Beaux-Arts building was designed by Paul Cret and quickly became the temple of art, adding two wings in the 1960s and 1970s.
The Detroit Institute of Arts was an absolutely amazing experience! The exhibits, architecture, and artwork are top notch and this is one of my favorite museums I have ever visited! We spent all day here and I feel like we still didn't even scratch the surface. If I could change anything I would have planned to come right at opening so we could experience this for the entirety of opening! You will be amazed at the beauty of this museum, I highly recommend it!

This place is beautiful! The staff is so wonderful and friendly and helpful. You can buy tickets once you get there but if you buy them in advance, it goes faster. Good museum with a variety of collections. A variety of collections from across the world. Some areas are better represented than others in terms of history of the art from the region.
Some interactive bits across the galleries for young patrons. A few more interactive moments would be nice, and would provide more talking points for groups who visit the galleries.
Asia, Africa, and Hellenistic collections are good introductions to the arts. The gallery on Egypt showcases select pieces, and makes for a great introduction to the culture. Native American section represents art pieces from the south, central and north America. Residents of Wayne county have free entry on select days at the museum.

There is just so much to see. I could spend days just staring at the artwork. Mind you I am partial to art. We went and they had a car exhibit and they were so unique. Also seeing a real life van Gogh painting was really cool. I'd definitely go again. They also had art from Mexico, middle east, native Americans, Japan and Korea. I love international art so it was fun to look at everything. Also seeing a real life mummy was really cool but creepy to think there's a skeleton in there.

Fantastic art museum with friendly staff members! Upon entering, I was met by an enthusiastic staff member who explained the layout of the museum to me, and then struck by the majestic Great Hall. But the highlight lied beyond the great hall - seeing Diego Rivera's Detroit Industry Murals in person was such an awe-inspiring experience! There were staff members stationed in the area, one of whom had a great chat with me surrounding my questions about the murals.
The Rivera murals was not the only reason that made the visit worthwhile - I found that the museum has quite a comprehensive art collection, not just of Western art movements from medieval to modern times, but also of non-Western art. The African and Islamic galleries were pretty good-sized, although the Egyptian gallery was a bit disappointing. It would have also been nice if the museum put more thought into the re-creations of the cultures' architecture; the current re-creations seemed half-baked with artifacts combined with modern materials.
Depite that, the interior architecture of the museum was quite varied and worth seeing for an architecture enthusiast. I liked the modern designs of the stairs and Prentis Court as well as the historic-comtemporary charms of Kresge Court (which very well reflects the identity of the city!).
In all, I only had 2.5 hours to spend at the museum and that was only enough for an in-depth visit to about half of the galleries. A jewel and a must-visit in the city!

One of the absolute most unique and interesting collections I have ever seen. Not many public art facilities match up to DIA. It can get crowded but the staff is willing to lend knowledge even if you aren't on your. The lady that explained the Diego Rivera mural was the highlight of the day.

I am a huge museum visitor, and this collection is by far one of the best I’ve seen in the US. Not only that, but the courtyards are stunning. I only spent about five hours here and saw maybe 1/3? I recommend visiting it over two days. Enjoy lunch or drinks in the cafe- the flatbread and summer drinks were amazing.
All in all, this is one of my top places to visit recently. I highly recommend.

The museum has an amazing and diverse collection. My particular favorites were the Native American, Impressionists, and Modern exhibits. And the gift shop is a collection all by itself! Amazing! I even enjoyed the curry chicken salad at their Cafe.
I didn't see everything, and I'll definitely return!

One of the highlights for sure is to see the Diego Rivera mural. This mural is enormous in size and absolutely mesmerizing. This will be my second visit here and I really enjoyed both of my visits. During this last visit I had the opportunity to see a wonderful photography exhibit by James Barnor, this series followed his work from his early days of filming in black and white to his later years of using color. I enjoyed the photos so much I bought his book. I love this museum and will continue to visit it each time I pass through Michigan. Detroit is a fabulous city with much more to offer than expected and this museum is the same. Parking is easy, staff are friendly and helpful, there is a cafeteria and a indoor cafe that feels like you are in an outdoor courtyard. There is a great gift shop, beautiful building, clean bathrooms and many exhibits of all types. Whatever type of art you are interested in they have something that will satisfy! Support the arts and this community and pay a visit here and just down the street check out the modern art museum as well.

A tremendous collection of art pieces from all over the world, covering centuries of different cultures. Very impressive and certainly a “good deal” for the cost of entry.
I would knock off 0.5 stars if it were possible, simply because the layout of the rooms becomes very confusing and you may end up missing some exhibits because you almost get lost on the floors.
Wish the flow was just a bit better organized…

I spent a great deal of my childhood at this museum and was very excited to bring my family. The Diego Rivera is a must but there are a great many musts, and it is very kid-friendly. They had a cozy coffee cafe in the courtyard and a lunchroom. It is still an amazing collection, impossible to see everything in a single visit, and I am looking forward to returning on our next visit to Michigan.
Our visit was on the weekday. We found street parking that was good for 2 hours only. Download the app; you can renew only exactly when the 2 hours is up. Backpacks are not allowed. The front desk directed us to the FREE and secure lockers.
The only downside was we had 3 interactions with security; two for being warned that we were too close to an exhibit (?) and the 3rd for leaving out of an exit door behind other patrons only to be told it wasn't an exit. A sign off to the side said "Emergency Exit". Very poorly placed. Oddly enough, I've heard this same complaint from other patrons both friends/family and on Internet reviews.

An impressive place. I heard a rumor, years ago, that the city was thinking of selling off the art in an attempt to raise cash to avoid bankruptcy. I'm very glad that didn't happen.
This is a really nice museum! Three floors with exhibits from Native Americans, S. Korea, Africa, South & S.E. Asia, Egypt plus the more expected European (Italian, British & Dutch when I was there (3/21)) works. Marble busts, huge canvases, metalwork, ceramics, masks, beadwork and more.
And if you live in the three counties (Macomb, Wayne & Oakland) you get in for free. The parking is $7 across the street.
We (my teenage son & I) meandered thru in just over two hours, saw all three floors, but didn't linger anywhere. Kind of a "drive by" viewing experience.
Guided tours and school groups were also there on the 1st day of spring.

An excellent museum for various arts and sculptures. They have arts and sculptures from all over the world spread over 3 levels. Must spend at least 3 hours to cover the entire museum. Also free for residents of some counties. Check website for details.

Informative museum. We spent over 3 hours on the weekend. A very nice cafe tucked inside with overpriced croissants😅
Overall a pretty way to spend a weekend (hit the wide selection of restaurants for dinner later)

Free! Need to show id for tickets. They have free coat and bag check at front. So many cool exhibits. The craft room was cool and kept kids occupied for a while. Cafe is nice but closes at 3 I think so keep that in mind.

This is truly a world-class museum. In my particular area of interest, Medieval through Baroque art, the collection is equal to the best. The Dutch and American paintings have few peers. This is an encyclopedic collection, and there are excellent Native American and Asian sections, although the Egyptian and Classical collections are not a strong point. I spent three blissful days here and didn't see everything; I'll definitely be back!

The DIA is one of the true treasures of Detroit.
I have been dozens of times and will continue to go every so often. The art is amazing but the architecture of the building itself is breathtaking.
Entry is free for Wayne and Oakland county residents, not sure about others.
It's always worth a visit, HIGHLY recommended.

Haven't been in years and while visiting Detroit decided to take my daughter for the first time, was not a disappointment. Very well run very well-managed, really really enjoyed some of the surprises of the famous painting and works of art. Definitely will be back... Oh and the Cafe in the middle of the location has improved drastically and the food was fan-freaking-tastic. To be honest I would probably go back again just for lunch even if I didn't want to get through the museum!!!

A hidden gem in Detroit. It is a wonderful museum that is well worth a visit! The building itself is beautiful, and it has some truly special and iconic art pieces by artists such as Picasso and Van Gogh.
The Motown Museum is a popular tourist attraction in Detroit that tells the history of the recording studio where some of the biggest hits of all time were produced. The museum features displays and exhibits about the development of Motown, as well as artifacts from the hit songs that were made there.
I made it to visit just in time before them closing for renovations. Coming here was such an invaluable experience. I learned so much about important milestones in music and black history. I was in town for work but made a point to come visit and it was super worthwhile. Your admission cost includes a tour and although it’s only an hour, you learn so much. The guides and staff are all really knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. I highly encourage experiencing this. It’s a cool and unique experience. The tours are really well done. It was easily the highlight of my trip.

MOTOWN MUSEUM
Detroit, Michigan
August 29, 1993 - A friend and I drove my 1959 Cadillac from southern California eastbound on Route 66. After reaching the end of the route we drove on to Detroit to tour the Motown Museum. Absolutely awe inspiring to step foot into that recording studio where all of those classic tracks were born. Now all of these years later, it is so wonderful to see the expansion and renovation taking place. I have lasting memories of our visit and look forward to a return trip. Highly recommended.

**Please Note** this museum is not currently operating, it has begun renovations and for some reason the Google listing does not reflect this. **Edit: they’ve changed it to temporarily closed after I brought it to their attention. Cool. There is fencing around the museum (not shown in picture as I wanted a shot of the building and pushed my phone into the fence) and I had already gotten a ride there before realizing it is not operating tours until next year according to the sign on the door.

My bf and I have been waiting to come to the Motown Museum since he moved to Detroit in Jan 2021. Finally after a year and a half later, Motown Museum undergone some remodeling and we were able to go inside. It was $15 to go on and it was a 30 minute tour. Our tour guide was amazing. She gave us a lot of information and was enthusiastic during the whole tour. She gave us enough time to take pictures at different areas of the museum. We saw Berry Gordy’s actual apartment and saw Studio A which was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I can’t believe that small room created such amazing music. A lot of priceless history and a must see if you are in the area.

Absolutely phenomenal! The amount of culture and history in this place was mind blowing. The guide did an excellent job telling us about all the history of Motown and my entire family enjoyed the experience. You are literally stepping back in time when you visit this museum. My husband was born and raised in Detroit and had never been here. He thanked me for wanting to go because he loved every second of it. If you’re locals or from out of town and want to learn and see some iconic history, I highly recommend going.

Lifelong goal fulfilled and surpassed! The museum took me back to when I was growing up, the state of the world, goals, dreams, and the music that formed me.
❤, loved, 😍 it.
People were visiting from other countries and here I was a local who had never been. It's worth the time and money; the tour guides are worth a million.
The only improvement that could be made would be secure parking, but maybe that will be added with the improvements that are planned.
Well done! 🎶💞🎶❤

Would highly recommend visiting the Motown Museum if you get the chance. There is so much history and music to absorb! A lot of the museum has been left how it was when it was a recording studio. We had a great tour guide, Tyra, who made the tour fun and informational. You can't freely walk around the museum, you need to be a part of a tour so it is recommended that you book a ticket in advance online if you can so they don't run out of spots. Make sure you give yourself extra time for parking, there is mostly street parking available.

An excellent experience is to visit Hitsville USA and hopefully they you'll catch a good band playing while you're there. I don't know the bands name - but they showed up and showed out. I really enjoyed them, the audience started dancing on the lawn there were food/ice cream vendors available on-site. In addition, the Motown Souvenir tent had a variety of t-shirts, CD's, Keychains, jewelry and a large selection of other items to choose from. This was my highlight event while visiting Detroit.

The tour was awesome. We saw the famous Studio A where most of the iconic recordings took place. A lot of stuff in there are actual things from the 60s and 70s when Motown was at it's peak. And I finally hopped on a plane from Chicago to Detroit. And I have absolutely no regrets I'm glad I finally did. I plan on coming back many, many times again. I learned so much from Stevie Wonder on down to Boys to men. The music and vibe make you wanna cry happy tears that's how much you feel it. The staff are really warm and welcoming. You can take all the photos you want....as you can see I did! But they do ask that you do no video recording. It was amazing that this place look exactly as it does on the movies. If you go be sure to pick up something from they gift shop as well. Until we meet again Motown 😘.

We did the Motown Museum tour today ( 4 Jan 24) and it was incredible. First time in Detroit and visited the Motown Museum. This was one of the highlights of the trip. Learning about the history of music legends and was fascinating! How the world was changed from this location and it’s humble beginnings. This is true black history excellence!! We are standing on the shoulders of giants. Glad we had an opportunity to visit now and looking forward to returning when the multimillion dollar renovation is completed. We purchased our tickets at the door (student, senior and military discounts offered). There is a gift shop on site and the guided tour is efficient and completed in about one hour (60 minutes). Our tour guide was very lively and engaging. I will give him 10 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am a Detroiter, so I've been to Hitsville, U.S.A. multiple times. This time, I went for the sole purpose of reporting back to you!
Admission is $20 for adults. If you have a Bank of America credit/debit card, it is FREE the 1st weekend of every month! 🙌🏽
Parking is free on the street. Utilize both sides of the street.
Guided tours only. Groups go every 30 minutes, and it's an hour tour. There is a maximum of 25 people per group. If you are pressed for time, purchase your ticket in advance online. If you have time to spare, just show up! If one group is full, you can catch the next group in 30 minutes.

Incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We were lucky enough to score the last four tickets on a Saturday. If you can, purchase your tickets ahead of time to ensure you secure a spot. The only way to experience the museum is through a guided tour so if you don’t have tickets, you’ll only be able to check out the gift shop. Our tour guide, Monet, was perfect. Friendly, knowledgeable, kind, and even able to crack a smile after a long day of saying the same thing over and over again. The sites and sounds alone are worth any wait you endure or any distance you travel!

The Comerica Park is a baseball stadium located in Detroit, Michigan. It was built in 2000 and is the home of the Detroit Tigers. The stadium features a 50-foot Ferris wheel and diverse food court.
I am a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers and baseball in general. Each time I come to Comerica Park I leave with everlasting memories. The prices of food and drinks is a little high but coming to a game is the best experience ever. Come out to a game and support your Tigers!

Absolutely wonderful stadium!! We came here for the first time this past weekend to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert and it was absolutely wonderful! VERY clean, very good security, comfortable seating, very easy to find sections for seating too. Super friendly staff at all the food stands and nice fresh tasty food. By far one of the best stadiums I've been to! The concert was well put together and went wonderfully. The security check before entering was smooth and very fast and friendly. Even very easy to find parking areas all over by the stadium as well! All in all a really great experience. Highly recommend attending a concert or ball game here!

This is a beautiful park and a great baseball experience. The layout is great, beautiful Tigers at the home plate, and not a bad seat in the hose. We got to enjoy Beach night and Friday night fireworks which was a great 15 min show.

What a great stadium! My family and I were up from Indiana and attended our first Tigers game. Let's see where do I begin. This stadium does have a bag/purse policy. So if you plan on attending a ball game, make sure your purse is a wristlet 4 x 6. We had no issues bringing my granddaughter stroller in. It was actually a breeze going through security. The decor of Tigers 🐅 displayed in and around the ballpark was great. This ballpark is very kid friendly. My granddaughter enjoyed riding on the carousel. The 💺 were comfortable compared to some other stadiums.

I have no complaints. I do, however, have a confession 🤦♀️. I'm not a huge baseball fan. 😬 This was my first major league baseball game. We were invited by friends so we weren't going to turn the opportunity down. I felt like the stadium was very nice, clean and a lot of food and drink options. Obviously not without draining your pockets, but that is expected at any sports venue.

Comerica Park is so far the best baseball field I have been to. They have so many great food options including the classics like hot dogs and sausages, along with fair food like corn dogs and elephant ears, and others like tacos, nachos, pizza, ice cream, and more. My daughter and I went to the Tigers vs. St. Louis Cardinals games on May 1, 2024. We had a great time. It was her first professional baseball game.
We walked around and saw the carousel and different statues that were there.
If you buy food and drink, be prepared to spend about $100 on 2 people... plus souvenirs. I forgot my hat and had to buy a new one while I was inside. The hat was about $30. The cheapest food item I saw was $6. And that was for a bottle of water.
Overall, we had an amazing time watching them play!!!

Not impressed with the Kiosk system. People INSIDE were Great- people At Ticket windows, rude as can be, AS IF they're Doing You a favor getting paid to sell or accept tickets. Poor setting for concert- concrete baseball bleachers. Prices are Disgusting- 8.95 for a Hot Dog on rollers. 8$ for a 16oz water. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING AREA. Not enough restrooms, vendors, nada. We went. We enjoyed the show- from damn near the furthest row away from the stage. No Regular beer, All Craft or Light. We agreed, we don't care to go back. It was an experience we'd never had, and, neither care to go a second time. Not even for a ball game.

Had a great family night out! The Tigers didn't win, but it was a fun game anyway! Even if you aren't that into baseball, it is a great place to go for the food, activities for the children and great atmosphere! They do have a purse/backpack and diaper bag rule now, so be aware of that. You can't bring in purses or bags over a certain size, but they do offer complimentary bag check! I gave them my bag, and they took my name and phone number and gave me a ticket to bring back to retrieve my bag after the game. You can go pick it up at any time, of course, and you have up to 30 minutes to go get it once the game is over. It was a very efficient and smooth process! In all, it was a great evening and game. The food is always great and there is always something for everyone, just make sure you bring enough money. It's by no means super expensive, but not super cheap either. You do get what you pay for by way of quantity and quality, so that is a plus! In all, I can't wait to go back!

This used to be my favorite place to go. But this time before it's great, it's actually uncool. We booked our tickets online, we got in, - but were not able to go to our seats. Understandable, - it was raining and the game was delayed. Everyone needed to be undercover (because of lightning and heavy rain).
Once you're inside the venue you can't re-enter. Very much of a downside if you have kids. Often you forget something in the car (girlfriends or kids phone), or you need to medicate.
Also smokers have to survive without smoking for several hours. (The smoking section has been permanently closed ) They will not accommodate the customer, won't create a smoking section or even let people re-enter after they like to smoke outside.
We spent for 2 of us close to 1k for for just this day, including tickets, parking, food, drinks and updated fan attire - we like to support,
The drinks are expensive....... You can buy for sure a 12pack for the price of one beer here, - a water bottle is half the price, impressively similar is a cocktail .....
After all, we'll not be back unless we get invited - but even then I'll warn my friends about the smoking

Went to see the Cardinals play in Detroit at Comerica Park, located in downtown Detroit. Solid park. I love a ballpark downtown. It’s a modern stadium with two iconic features… the tiger statues and the outfield fountain.
Loved all the marketing using the D. I sat in the lower bowl with club access. The club was fantastic and offered elevated food for a ballpark like salads and wrap. Oh and probably my favorite thing was the Baseball Ferris Wheel.
Glad I went. Cards lost. :o(

Comerica Park was a pretty nice ball park. Originally from St. Louis and Busch Stadium is nowhere near as nice as this. So much room to walk around a lot of food choices. There could be a few more bathrooms but all in all a really great place to visit.
Andiamo Detroit Riverfront is an upscale bistro situated in the GM Renaissance Center, offering a sophisticated ambiance and stunning views of the river. This traditional Italian restaurant has been serving authentic northern Italian cuisine since 1989 and boasts an intimate dining space with a romantic atmosphere. Their menu features housemade pasta, wood-fired pizzas, fresh seafood, premium dry-aged meats, and indulgent desserts.
Andiamo Riverfront is my favorite restaurant. I used to come here with my dad growing up. The food is always free, the service is top notch, and the views are unmatched. I recently cane here this past holiday season with my extended family. They were able to accommodate all of us. All the food we ordered was delicious, and the area we sat was really lovely as they decorated it for the holidays. My favorite was the champagne, they have several available including my favorite. Overall, lovely experience.

Our server Brandon was amazing! He was attentive, friendly, and very professional! The food was excellent! The owner Mike came to our table and introduced himself, which was a very nice and personal touch added to the entire experience! Brandon and Andiamo made my birthday very special!

Love this restaurant. I have been there before but this was my first time since the pandemic began. Food and services both are excellent. Recently went there for my birthday dinner and our server Z was really great . All the dishes she suggested were really great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I went to celebrate my mom's 89th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. Mike H. Is an exceptional server and made my mom feel special. My mom isn't easy to please when it comes to dining out and enjoyed everything. The chicken on the 5 pepper pasta could stand alone on a dish by itself. Very flavorful, I didn't need to add anything additional to my dish and that's the hallmark of a great chef.

This was our second time coming here and both times Alex was our waitress and she was amazing! She’s considerate and goes out of her way to make her customers happy and comfortable. The manager personally came out to check on us as well, which shows how much he cares about his patrons. The food is incredible and cooked to perfection and Alex just topped off the evening!

It takes special skills to ruin scallops but at Andiamo they did it! The Cajun-style blackening resulted in the worst scallops I have ever had. I made some frozen scallops at Trader Joe’s m, sautéed on butter with some lemon that tasted way better than this. All I could taste from Andiamo’s scallops was the weird overwhelming “blackening” seasoning that totally ruined the natural sweet flavor of the scallops. BTW The less desirably natural flavor of the escargots were similarly drowned by a garlicky buttery tomato sauce, but I didn’t mind that! But the scallops! RIP! The chefs should rethink their approach and bring the natural flavors out of their ingredients rather than imposing some conflicting weird seasoning on them. Especially scallops, the best-tasting seafood that is really hard to screw up. Here they managed to do it. Two stars because the mushroom soup was quite tasty!

Andiamo at the Detroit Riverfront is an Italian fine dining restaurant in the Ren Cen building. They have other locations in the suburbs as well. We’ve been to the Bloomfield Twnsp on previous travels and we were happy to see a location in the Ren Cen where we were staying.
Food is very fresh, delicious and pastas are made in-house. Jordan our server was friendly and offered excellent suggestions of specialty seasonal items that weren’t on the menu.
We started with the calamari that was accompanied by a homemade tomato sauce that had fresh cut basil chiffonades (mini julienne type slice strips). Our salads both house and Caesar were on chilled plates and tasted nice.
We then had the seafood Alfredo. Jordan recommended to have the seafood grilled vs sautéed as it would taste amazing. It was devine! The fresh grilled scallops were huge and cooked perfectly. The shrimps had a Cajun like taste and married nicely with the creamy Alfredo. The generous sweet meat lobster tail was accompanied with warm drawn butter. We also had the Veal Milanese which was lightly breaded, tender and flavorful with roasted potatoes and green beans.
We were so full and although the desert selections looked amazing, we wanted something light. I asked Jordan if they had spumoni ice cream. He didn’t disappoint! That was the best spumoni ice cream I’ve had in ages. Beautiful flecks of kirsch cherry, chocolate ribbons and other bursts of flavor was perfect.
Great place for any occasion or just to treat yourself. Authentic fresh Italian flavors abound! Grazi Andiamo for a beautiful meal!

A special event was being held the evening. We might have thought twice had we known as we had to eat in the back in a room with no windows, which was noisy. However, the food was excellent and our server made up for it. We enjoyed the pasta bolognese...and lasagna. We also had creme Brule and caramel cheesecake, both were thes best by far wr have had locally.
We definitely enjoyed our meals

I went and sat at the bar with my friend to have Happy hour specials. The best shrimp pasta I had. The calamari appetizer was on point too, as well as the cocktails. My friend enjoyed her lambchops as well. The bartender made delicious cocktails and always checking on us. I didn't have a high expectations out of a restaurant in the hotel but I was wrong.

Had dinner with two business associates last night and everything was spectacular. Our servers was Talesha and she was top notch. She knows the menu, inside and out, is attentive, obervant, and brings top notch energy. To start we went with the the sausage and peppers (Peperoni Ungheresa alla Rustica) appetizer. This was absolutely amazing. The sausage and peppers were cooked perfectly and the sauce was full of flavor. I ordered the 8oz filet cooked medium which came with green beans, Italian potatoes and their signature zip sauce. The steak was cooked perfect, tender, and tasted amazing. Each of us ordered dessert, which included their season cheesecake (peanut butter and jelly), creme brule, and cannoli. Let's just say we cleaned all three plates!! Even though this place is expensive, it's definitely worth it and we will be back.

I planned my mother a 55th birthday celebration here at this location. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Super helpful to make my mom’s day as special as possible. For larger parties, they do make you put down a deposit and you can only use one credit card per party. Everyone who came enjoyed themselves and live band was very interactive with our group. My only critique was our server. He was nice, but not very accommodating. I understand it was a busy night and we had a large party but they should allow him to take care of only one party at a time if it’s too overwhelming. He did not thoroughly explained the menu, and how the pricing work, which caused a lot of confusion but overall we figured it out, and the meal was great and experience was even better.

The scenery was beautiful. The food was great and the service was amazing. I would definitely recommend getting anything with steak. I had the steak special. It was perfectly seasoned and the zip sauce added even more flavor. I definitely recommend this restaurant for a special night out. Mike the owner and Mike the server were awesome! 10/10✨✨

Brandon was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials, and they were both very attentive to our large party. The hotel Caesars Windsor is a luxury property with modern facilities, such as an indoor pool and spa, a casino, and restaurants. It is located just across the Detroit River from downtown Detroit, making it easy to explore both cities on your trip.
Rooms are clean, modern, and a good size. the bathrooms have a separate tub and shower and are very nice! Beds are a bit soft so our sleep wasn't the best. But otherwise it was great. The common areas were lovely, clean, and staff were great (with the exception of one snarky barmaid....perhaps she was having a bad day). The casino is terrific - the slots are fun with plenty of new ones.

Honestly the rooms were great. The casino was fun. The only complaint I have, was that the main check-in desk was a long walk from the tower we stayed in. There was very little signage or information given beforehand on how to check in. I ended up lugging bags from a parking garage, through a casino, up stairs, then had to retrace my route just to go back to another tower to my room. Those issues were the only ones. The rooms were very clean. Great views. Elevators always came really quick when called. Comfy bed. My girlfriend loved the heat lamp in the bathroom. The casino has a calm relaxed vibe until about 9pm when the younger crowd comes in, so depending on what you're looking for, plan accordingly. Staff at the casino were super helpful and friendly. I will absolutely come back.

Went and stayed here with my sis. The room was really nice and newly updated. We stayed on the side with just adults (which was perfect). In the room we had a great view, it was clean and the check-in process with really quick. Now checking out was a different experience, the person that checked us out was kinda of rude, but overall, all it was a nice spacious clean casino. It is a mini version of the Caesars in Las Vegas. Nice restaurants and their restaurants that are walking distance restaurants.

We have stayed there twice. The place itself if beautiful. We stay for days when we go. Both times could not get room cleaned. First time they said we had to ask for it. Second time we asked they said they only clean it after 3 days. After 3 days still not cleaned. When I went to call the phone didn't work. It's really disappointing. I clean in myself both times. Had to catch a employee to get towels. I went through hopper the last time terrible view don't do that. The time before Expedia great view. The rooms are clean when you get there. And the place is really pretty.

We went to a show at the casino that our kids bought us tickets for for Christmas. Everything about it was great. We ate dinner at Spago's,went to casino for a while, then on to the show. We paid for valet parking that was so convenient and well run. The dinner was very reasonable and also the parking. We will watch for shows that we want to see and definitely book something again. Absolutely loved the whole experience.

Came here for a show at the Coluseum. Love the entry re entry if you want to go get food before a show. Guest services and security are all very helpful.
Bars move fast and have a nice selection.
Seats are set up nice to face the stage with 2 big screens to show the audience farther away.
I recommend express parking next to the valet and very fast retrieval.
Clean casino floor. A handful of food options but leave some time if you're going to a show.

I am not into gambling, but if I was, I would certainly look to go here. Very friendly and safe establishment and very clean and modern. Tons of machines and tables and best of all, you do not pay taxes on your winnings like in the USA. Love the fact that there is plenty of indoor parking and it is free.

Great clean hotel and room. Friendly staff. Casino and few great bars. Definitely, challenging parking: park and walk to the hotel to the reception on the second floor or use valet. Another minus is linked room to next door room; do not like to have that option and honestly would like to know in advance if the room is linked. Enjoyed my staff and will be back!

My family and I recently went to Casino Windsor for my cousin's 19th birthday party, and we all had a really good time! The casino had many games to play and lots of fun activities for everyone.
We stayed at a nearby hotel that had a comfortable and clean room. The food at the casino's restaurant was delicious, and there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Rooms are clean and comfortable with modern furnishings. Nevertheless, the hotel is surrounded by casino. And casinos have little tricks to try to keep you on the gaming floor, for example, there are no maps of the premises, no pathfinding kiosks. The TVs in the rooms have a guide channel but they’ve left off programming info, they’d rather you not be watching TV. And you know they hide clocks on the game floor. Parking will fill up late on weekends. There are very few shops here, the jewelry vendor is most notable. And relatively few dining options in 2023. Still, I had a nice visit here, and will not hesitate to come back for shows and special events.

Can’t find the main entrance. The signage sucks. We checked in super late (2:30am) only to be woken up just past 9am by house keeping trying to clean our room. Knocked 3 times and I answered and she said I suppose you have a late checkout? I said when is checkout? she said 11! I said that’s in nearly 2 hours what are you talking about. She left after ruining my sleep. You need better communication with the front desk I think. I told the front desk and she didn’t seem to care. The phone in room didn’t work either. Was in charge but wouldn’t hold a charge to call downstairs so I had to use my personal device.

Booked 2 queen bedrooms on the Forum Tower (Luxury River view rooms) for the first weekend in August. Location was great since it was connected to the casino for a couple friends attending the poker tournament. Room itself was nice, large and spacious. Service level however, was disappointing. We requested rooms on high floor with nice views of the river but was assigned rooms on a low floor with a maintenance deck and a big smoke stack right outside the window blocking the view. We arrived and tried checking in just 10 minutes before 3pm (check in time) but was not allowed unless we pay an extra fee to check in 10 minutes early...doesn't make sense at all! To avoid paying this extra fee, we had to line up again after 3 pm when everyone was trying to check in at the same time. Also, when checking in, I asked if there were connecting rooms available (we booked 2 rooms) and was assured no problem and the staff confirmed we were assigned connecting rooms. Well, they were not connected at all once we arrived at the rooms. Anyway, we didn't bother to walk all the way back to Registration to clarify since we were only there for 1 night and simply accepted what was assigned. Honestly, I rather be told up front that no connecting rooms available than being reassured that they were and was assured the views are great but none of this was true when we got to our rooms. For the price paid for these luxury rooms, we expected to be better but somewhat disappointed with the service.

Visited from Detroit. Stayed on a Monday night for best price. Comfortable rooms. Was a bit of a maze to walk inside from the parking garage but when we were leaving someone tipped us that it's easier to just walk across from outside to the lobby rather than snaking thru the casino. One person in our party was 19 and had to show both his ID and US passport to security when going into the casino so make sure to have them both ready and on your person for that. Other than that our stay was a fun night and enjoyed the table games and some slots. Dinner at Legends was great too. Hope to be back soon.

Stayed here while we were in town visiting friends with our your son.
The rooms are beautiful and the beds are quite comfortable, we also had a panoramic view of Detroit which at night you are surprised by how nice it actually is.
when we came to put our son to bed though we we’re extremely disappointed to find out they no longer offer room service, nor are you allowed alcohol in your rooms.
You can go downstairs and get food and bring it back up to your rooms but not alcohol and they banned bringing alcohol from outside. So when the wife and I wanted to relax, wind down and just have a couple drinks and watch a film while our son slept we just couldn’t.
The TV’s also don’t have the ability to cast or airplay from your phone so unless you want to pay their ridiculous prices for rentals you are stuck with standard cable TV which was fine 15 years ago, but not quite what you would expect from a “luxury” hotel in a suite none the less.
Keep that in mind before booking or going upstairs for the evening.

Very fun place, the clubs are fun and the food / shows are good. I recommend playing digital roulette because there is no minimum bet, table is sometimes 25$ minimum.
- dress nicely or they won’t let you in
- bring 2 forms if ID, drivers license and health card works

Just stayed our first night there and enjoyed it. Initially finding our way to the self-park lot was a little more challenging than expected, but I probably have to own that myself.
Once we got inside the building the staff was friendly and helpful, but not all that accurate, in helping us navigate to the various places we had to go.
Room was spacious, with a very large bathroom, and also had a great view of the river. On check-in we made reservations at Nero's steak house in the property. That was pretty smooth given that they were busy due to a Russell Peters show in the the building for the night in question. However, when we called Nero's to adjust the reservation we weren't showing up in their system. That lead to a few anxious moments, but they were still able to squeeze us in, in the end.
Enjoyed some time in their pool area too. Spa is currently closed (still due to COVID, I believe), so that was a bit disappointing.
Overall good experience though. Will return.

To be fair it deserves a 4.5 star rating taking into consideration the following. Most likely Caesar's Windsor is the nicest hotel in town. Our room was on the 20th floor and we had a nice view. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The bathroom was also nice. I should have taken more photos. The town itself has little to do so I'm happy we opted to staying at the casino hotel. The parking is free but there is a resort fee. The service in the casino itself was a little slow to get a gaming card because they needed to amalgamate the card with other properties I had visited in Vegas so that's the only negative thing that happened. Not the fault of the employees, but waiting half an hour for a card is a little much. Food at breakfast was self service but the prices were reasonable and the food was good. The staff all over the casino were nice and helpful.

Finding the valet parking for the hotel was not easy. Hint…. Its the last sign that just says valet. But check in was fast n easy. The rooms are beautiful. The walk to the elevators though … I will be having them come get my bags. I think it was because I had river view. The river view rooms are spacious. Clean with the tub n shower separate. Super windy out so we stayed on site for dinner. Lots of options.

I was denied entry Saturday morning because I had a backpack containing my breast pump. I was told I would need to leave my bag in the car and pump in the parking garage. I ended up just leaving. My understanding is that this isn’t legal seeing how it is a medical device. Is this allowed? I would like to know for next time

I would only recommend this place if you have lots of money. Don't trust online booking, you get redirected to a 3rd party that adds another service charge of $139. I then was put in the wrong tower and while moved me to a new room they added $200 more to my credit card without telling me. And because I didn't want to be further gauged by valet parking I had to park off site and carry my baggage across the street. The rooms are basically just a cleaner version of any hotel with the same plastic cups. No closet even in the room I was in. I gave the extra star only because they were able to move me while still claiming to be fully booked.

The spa is my favorite part, the indoor pool with views of the river is great! Awesome gym, sauna and private showers, they thought of everything!! Highly recommend. Great for a one night getaway to a “foreign” country lol. They also have a list of awesome shows revolving through. Also the buffet is amazing and very vegan friendly with many Mediterranean options. Easy in and out across the border.

Visited to see the Tiffany Haddish show; booked 2 nights. Check-in took over 15 minutes based on some silly tiered member program.
Room was nice and updated, but a bit dusty. The view was good, however, our room had a conjoining door and we found the noise disturbing - called reception at 9:30 pm to request assistance, but the employee Chris refused to address the issue. As he stated that it was not yet 11 pm. By 1 am our neighbors were screaming profanities and asked to leave the hotel. We were woken again by 3:30 am. The hotel staff did nothing to remove these patrons, not address the noise complaint.
The food at Spage was delicious and the portions were generous. We found the resort very walkable, but staff are not well trained to address questions. Their overall service was far too casual. Don't allow the valet parking to convince you that self- parking is inconvenient; it's easy and leads directly to all amenities - save the $20 per day.

Hosts do not follow through with offers/accommodations, granted they left the company before we got there. Aggressive valet experience, filed a complaint, still no resolution. What was supposed to be a great weekend visit, turned out to be just not that. Lots of people holding machines with jackets/coats, one lady had 4 machines blocked and after multiple requests, nothing was done??? Will not revisit, regret going there.....zero resolution to anything....

Two towers with rooms. Right now (early 2024) Augustus Tower is nicer. The views of the ships on the river with the Detroit skyline beyond are great. The casino itself has everything you want. My one lament is the music, which is typical of the Buffalo-Cleveland-Windsor corridor: 1970s retreads (which the locals just can't get enough of no matter how many times they hear, apparently; definitely a regional thing).
Nero's steakhouse is worth getting a reservation or, if you luck out, you might score a seat at Nero's bar.
Outside, taking a walk along the riverfront is a great way to get some sun and fresh air while enjoying the views.
Parking is free and easy, but be prepared to walk because you have to cross the property to get to the Augustus Tower. Alternatively, the valet gives you the option of eliminating the walk (nice attendants and responsive service).

Desk assistant manager has a terrible attitude. We ended up canceling our room because she was so very rude. The hotel staff then charged our two different cards a debit card and credit card on file for the full amount. When asked about it they just said it would come back on our card. But we would be without those funds for 3-5 days is unacceptable. I will not be returning to this place and will spend my money elsewhere.

We visited the casino (our first time) and had dinner at Legends.
The casino is very clean and staff is very friendly.
Legends food was good. Prices were reasonable. Our waiter was super nice and efficient.
Edit: after looking at the reviews, I noticed the Casino only seems to respond to positive reviews and does not address the poor reviews. It's seems the biggest complaint is the check-in desk and housekeeping. I'm wondering if our planned return visit for a night may be a mistake. 🤔

Beautiful casino. Clean, stylish rooms. We actually had an accessible room (we didn’t know until we entered the room) and it was very spacious and had a walk in shower and a bathtub. We did not have a view, we where given an option, but we decided on a no view. No big deal to us.
The only complaint I have is that we entered the casino/hotel enter an e through the parking garage with suitcases, bags etc and we had to walk too far as in threw the casino up an escalator to get to the check out. Then back all the way through again. No big deal but luggage carts or something should be offered. Our bags were heavy and I can only imagine elderly people having to do the same.
But we are very happy with our stay and we decided to come back in a months time.

I can tell you that this casino has zero respect for their players. They don’t care how much money or trine you spend in their establishment. We are regular players (seven star) and even though we spend more time there than their staff, we get treated very poorly. I highly recommend going anywhere else, Detroit is minutes away… And they have 3 casinos that treat their players so much better!!! So steer clear of Caesars Windsor, and go elsewhere!!! Also found a dirty fork with cake icing on it in our room, next to the bed. Gross,

I enjoy going here, but what I don't like is mostly having to pay to get in for events, and having to walk miles from one area to another, or having to drive from one area of the park to another just to go to events. This last time I went, my husband had a work event at one side of the park, and there was another even towards the middle of the park. I wasn't about to walk with 4 children on a 90°day to a part of the park where they are charging people for food or drinks just so my kids could have some fun. The area where my husband's work event was held, had tables, garbage cans, free food, free drinks, swings, and a slide so we were content where we were and stayed there.

Very nice park. It has a lot to offer, playground, inline hockey rink, ice cream shop. We love to take our grandson here.

Lovely park to take a walk in with a paved trail that goes around the perimeter of the park. There is also a dirt trail that weaves through the woods if you are feeling more adventurous. The library is located on the park grounds which is also a bonus. The picnic tables by the pond offered a pretty view of the historic village as well as the many ducks and geese gathered there.

Great walking path. I like that there's a little wooded walking area off the main track. You can take it all the way back past the little secret lake to the firefighting school if you go far enough.
I also like walking around the 'main lake' little old time village set up and across the covered bridge.
I've never been to the baseball diamonds so I can't comment on them.

I took my soon to be wife here. It was a beautiful park. There is a baseball field and a super nice track to walk around? There is also a beautiful pond with a nice path to walk around with nice scenery. There is bridges and and old church, old train cars and so many perfect places to take pictures to remember a wonderful day in the park. You can also catch and release fish in The pond for this who like to spend time with there kids. But it’s the perfect place for a picnic or for a first date. Or even just a good place to clear your head and enjoy a nice day. There is also a petting zoo connected that is open on the weekends for the kids. So if your bored and in the area check out this beautiful place and enjoy the day and relax.

The pony rides were so nice!!!! And it's the perfect lil farm for toddlers!! The young ladies at the front desk were so nice! I wouldn't recommend for teens at all unless it's with younger siblings or friends that maybe tagging along.
My teen enjoyed himself because he was with his lil brother but as I stated before PERFECT place for the lil ones & elementary age children.
Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum is a vast natural oasis consisting of sprawling gardens, woods, and prairies. This botanical garden also features a visitors center, gift shop, and conservatory which houses an impressive collection of plants. Visitors can spend hours exploring the grounds and admiring the beauty of the flora on display. The conservatory alone is worth a visit as it boasts a diverse range of plant species that captivate visitors with its natural splendor.
Such a beautiful conservatory, if I lived closer I would visit every week.
We planned to visit the Natural History Museum afterwards, but we were so captivated by this wonderful collection of plants that we lost track of time!
We spent three hours in the conservatory & I still don't feel like it was enough time. We'll be back!
I added some photos, but the photos don't do it justice. This place is a treat & everyone deserves to experience it in person!

This place was amazing. We went on a Monday and the indoor areas are closed on that day for maintenance so be aware, but the outside is huge and fully of interesting native plants and habitats. We especially loved the outdoor bonsai garden and the specimens were well cared for and impressive with at least one tree being over 800 years old it seems. They were so good they even impressed my 10yr old lol. Entrance was free but parking was up to $5 for the day. Good times we'll be back.

Ver crowded, not enough parking.
The parking machines need to be more user friendly. We had to stand in line 10 minutes just to pay.
Of course, it is a beautiful place. Not too much vegetation yet.
The trails for walking & biking are awesome!.
Can't wait for the Peonies at Nichols!

If you are in Ann Arbor and have time, come here! You won't regret it. First we walked along the nature trail and saw cardinals, blue jays, finches, squirrels and chipmunks, and deer. Just magical! Then we entered the gardens, which are equally as stunning. This property is immaculate and clearly well cared for. Such a great experience!

Really love this place! Very well kept and maintained. I've been going here for years (since 2010!) even though I don't live in the area any more. Extremely peaceful environment with beautiful grounds and a lovely conservatory. I really enjoy their trails as they have lovely water features (stream and pond). Highly recommend!

The kiddos and I needed to get out and thankfully a wonderful day was available, so we headed to the gardens. Our first trip was to the Sam Graham portion so we could participate in the leaf rubbing activity. I printed off the book from online and we took crayons for each kid (one book was enough to share for three young kids). I was worried about finding leaves but realized each station would have a plaque on a post, so no worries! We didn't get lost, which was also a plus :)
We went back a second time for the Conservatory and it was a great escape indoors even when the weather outside wasn't cooperating. The kids found a mango tree, a baby pineapple, the chocolate bean cacao and other plants that we consume produce from.
Excited to see more this summer!

Been here twice so far and I like it. Once in the spring and once in the summer. Each time it's been great to experience the different flowers of the season. Nice small botanical garden with small walking trails around the outside of the garden which can be finished in 20 minutes or less. Depends on how much you rush through. You could get through the whole botanical garden itself in about an hour or so. Nice selection of plants and nice chance to see some wildlife then strolling through the trails. Some benches are available and a couple of picnic tables as well.

Matthaei Botanical Gardens in the campus of Michigan University bursts upon you, as a pleasant sprinking of nature's bounty. I visited this place in July and flowers were in full bloom.
The Bonsai section caught my particular fancy. I just loved the tiny, yet mature, well groomed trees. The miniature pines are specially cute and lovely.
Do visit this delightful place. It is a treat for the research scholar, as well as a nature lover.

Absolutely beautiful! I was there in the winter, so not much outside. The inside was fantastic. I can't wait to come back when it warms up. I particularly loved all the desert plants. The gift shop was nice and had a lot of cool stuff.

Made our first visit to the botanical gardens and although it was short, it was sweet. You can easily extend your trip here by taking more time to stop and smell, i mean photograph each rose so to speak. We missed out on the arboretum due to weather but plan to come back and enjoy the outdoor area when weather permits.

We loved looking at all of the plants in the arboretum. Everything was well maintained and there was a variety of plants. I especially liked the cacti and the bonsai trees.
The restrooms were clean and in the store, we were able to get cold drinks and enjoy them outside while we watched several butterflies flutter by. There was plenty of parking and it was very reasonable, i believed it was $1 an hour. All of the staff we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.

This is a cool botanical garden. We went there in early April when the weather was still a bit chilly. There was an indoor section where we spent quite sometime in, and there were plenty of exotic plants to look at. Admission to this botanical garden was free, and the staff were very friendly.

A nice place to visit if you’re interested in plants. They’ve a good collection of plants from different regions- desert to tropical. They also have a bonsai garden which is my favorite. The garden is nice for photo shoots as well as relaxing. There is no entry fee but there is a parking fee.

Great place! We loved several of the gardens and the walking trails. It's amazing that it is free to view, because that's rare these days. We spent two hours here. Be aware that there is a charge for parking in front of the conservatory, but it's only $2.20 per hour right now and simple to pay at a kiosk.
The plants in the conservatory, cactus room and bonsai plant sections are awesome. A sign for a labyrinth caught our attention in the walking trails. I'm posting a photo here. If you get lost inside, just yell loudly and someone will come to help you find your way out. 😉

Fantastic experience, as always. What a gem. I especially adored the Rooting Reciprocity exhibit, this should be a permanent display and should be scaled-up to every botanical garden with important non-native plants. This was the most impactful learning experience I have EVER had regarding botany and I have a 4-year degree in Biology with a concentration in Ecology, including an International practicum...never was I probed to think so deeply, leading with HEART, about plant sources and their impact on the local community. My kids absolutely loved it too. THANK YOU!

Great hidden (and free) gem of Ann Arbor! It might be 32 outside but inside it’s a tropical wonderland. There are many huge versions of what you could only hope to grow inside your own place like a fiddle leaf fig that is as big as an oak tree and a big beautiful staghorn fern that greets you immediately as you step into the warm humid paradise.
I love how most of the plants are clearly labeled.
There is a cute gift shop and the staff is super nice. They told us about the outdoor trails and an exciting new beaver damn!

Trails are great, so fun hiking there. Kids love it here. They have a natural huge play areas in the Children’s Gardens. Lots of learning things for them while building log cabin, playing in sand, even dirt box & kitchenware to make all kinds of fun things. There’s so much. Little mazes in the hedges! Very cool. Take it from me, I’m a nanny & I pack lunch take 7 & 3 year old kids there a lot. They Love the place. Ages 1-99 will have a wonderful time here. Plenty of shade when it’s hot too. The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum is a vibrant, 4-story location that offers over 250 science-focused exhibits for children to play and learn. It is an ideal destination for kids of all ages and their parents. While some visitors have noted that it can get quite crowded during peak times (especially in light of current COVID-19 concerns), the museum features a wide range of engaging activities suitable for kids with various interests and heights.
Great place for kids of all ages (and their parents). We went over holiday break so it got a little too busy for our comfort (in the time of covid) but right around opening it was nice. Many activities for kids of all heights and interests. Our kids were sad to leave! Appreciated that everyone was wearing masks, but some parents could try to remind their kids to distance (especially for our under 5 crew). Also, I’d suggest the museum add many more sanitizing stations. There definitely were not enough for how much touching is happening. Thanks for the great time!
Rebecca Hogan — Google review
We visited on a Tuesday at 11am and upon walking in, we were a little put off at how busy it was. There were so many field trips and any time my son would get a chance to play with something other kids would come and try to take over. It was very off putting. We decided to leave and get lunch and came back around 1. By this time the majority of the field trips kid had left and the place died down drastically. We actually got to enjoy the exhibits and learn while we played.
I would recommend waiting until 1 on weekdays if you have younger kids. They have an eating area with limited vending, no real food.
Overall it was a nice museum with friendly staff.

It was our first time here and our 18 month old absolutely loved it, I don't think she knew what to do with herself, which made us love it. She absolutely loved the water tables in the preschool gallery and everything in it. Which also has an infant area. She was so overjoyed by each floor, she ran through everything. I was expecting it to be a bit bigger but there was still so much to do, we had a great time. And if you've never been there, to get to floors 3&4 it's by the eating/vending machine area which is by the room with the ambulance. 🚑 enjoy yourself, we did!

In the heart of an already lively city, this fun, educating museum is so great. Multiple floors of so many great inventions, technology , history and so much more. Hands on stimulating exhibits that are not only teaching the kids, and the adults too lol but making it fun in the process. Its kind of tucked away there on ann street, and parking can sometimes be annoying but its all worthwhile for the kiddos. Put the phones and the tablets down and get a membership their going to want to come back for sure!

Awesome place. There are activities for all ages. I have a kid of 5 years old and 1 year old and both enjoy this museum. I bought the family membership, I am planning to come often.
A good advice, Need to bring more clothes because there are water activities and are really fun.
The first 2 stories are the most interesting. The 3rd and 4th are small.

This is a cool museum! My 9 and 11 year old kids really liked it. There were tons of things to do. It is harder to find parking and I believe it is all paid parking. The reason I rated it 4/5 stars is that it is dirty. It is really dusty and you can tell surfaces are not wiped down. Especially high touch surfaces- it’s a little gross. I’m sure during the pandemic it was better but cleanliness is definitely lacking at this point. Kids and adults are $16 to enter. Visited on the Saturday after thanksgiving and I thought it would be crazy but it really wasn’t too crowded.

We have the family plus membership and we're using it a lot! It's nice to be able to bring guests with us. My kids, 4 and 1, both love the museum. Our top 3 favorites are the H2O, pre school area, and the ambulance. We avoided coming during special events such as winter break activities due to overcrowded visitors. We always try to come at 10, right when it opens, or later at 3pm, so it's quieter. That way the kids can explore more freely, and minimum to none waiting time.

My daughter graduated from Michigan as a triple major and then got her Masters in Management from Ross. She also played in the famous Michigan Marching Band. When she graduated she was offered jobs on Wall Street, as a book editor, as an advertising executive and at Google. There are not many universities in the world that could have offered her the excellent and varied education she got from Michigan. On top of that the Saturdays in the largest stadium in the country listening to the greatest fight song ever written is a thrill no other university can offer. Go Blue!

U of M is right in the middle of downtown Ann Arbor and so it is extremely pleasant to walk around on campus. The academic buildings are extremely nice as well, inside and out. It is a very large school so the student generally remains fairly anonymous (but if they make an effort, they can stand out) so they remain distant from the professors. The University also has tons of extracurricular activities of all kinds -- which is awesome, but does make it difficult to find time to study. Overall, it's a great place to be and offers so many opportunities, it can be an amazing incubator for professional success.

Update: the professor I had been in touch with, professor Lohmann, seems to be as unprofessional as the rest of the faculty I had the misfortune of dealing with. We had a fine zoom meeting where we discussed the program I was interested in and he’s the one that had me reach out to someone of Jennifer Alexander’s job title for further assistance as well. Lohmann was supposed to get back to me the following week and I have not heard back since. Take your money, yearning for education, and search for good mentorship somewhere else. You will not find anything of value at this institution.
Awful staff, such as Rose Cory and Jennifer Alexander. I’ve tried to go about seeking help with admissions and the only help I’ve received is from an actual professor. Rose Cory works in admissions and completely blew off our zoom meeting, later contacting saying another meeting went late but couldn’t even have the courtesy to send me a message prior to our meeting letting me know she wouldn’t be there. Jennifer Alexander is just pathetic and doesn’t do the job she’s listed to do on the schools website. I doubt I will continue to give this institution any more thought for enrollment. Absolute trash faculty.

BEAUTIFUL campus. I love every second here! So many amazing activities and extra curricular activities to get involved in over 2000! The professors are fantastic here too you can EASILY tell everyone has well over 10+ years of upper level experience. The students here… INSANELY nice as an introvert I can walk up to anyone and they’re super friendly and helpful. Biggest alumni group. HUGE school spirit even on the streets people all rep UofM. It’s a whole new loving world here. Night life is everywhere with good to high end restaurants. The roads are all proper especially for Michigan weather. Alumni donates heavily to this school. The city works with UofM to help them expand.. it’s like the whole area is family it’s incredible!
I legitimately can’t say a single negative and I am a commuter except I just wish I could drive less haha. So many parking structures lol it’s only a few minute walk. The M bus is accurate too.

My experience as a student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor has been nothing short of amazing! The campus is not only stunning but also buzzing with energy. The professors are world-class, and the wide range of academic programs ensures there's something for everyone. The resources available, from the libraries to research opportunities, are unparalleled. What truly stands out, though, is the sense of community and school spirit. Whether it's cheering for the Wolverines at the Big House or collaborating with fellow students on projects, being part of UMich is an unforgettable journey. I'm proud to call myself a Michigan student, and it's a definite five-star institution!

The Big House, the historic 110,000-seat football stadium at the University of Michigan, hosted a free Spring scrimmage event that was enjoyable and recommendable. The game was entertaining, and some penalties and calls by referees made it even more amusing. Children were allowed to meet players, get autographs and step onto the field. The stadium is an impressive piece of real estate with a rich history that can be appreciated even by non-Michigan fans. Highly recommended for all visitors!

Really I have nothing bad to say even walking to the stadium it’s really cool seeing the other wolverines walking and basically taking over the road lol.

A football game at the big house is an experience like no other. The atmosphere is unmatched. This is the largest stadium in North America and the third largest stadium in the entire world, so expect packed games because they almost always have sell outs. Crowds of over 100k are common place here.

Well it was our first game at the big house. It wasn't as bad as we were told. There are washrooms everywhere...
The seating is very uncomfortable. I suppose it would be if you were 5 foot tall. I'm 6'2".. I had no where to put my knees but into the back of the guy in front of me. Though I suppose it was ok as the guy behind me had his knees firmly pressed into my spine. The stadium holds 109000 though I'm betting if they changed that to 70000 you would have had more comfort. The atmosphere was amazing. Other then feeling like a sardine the whole time... it was a once in a lifetime experience.

Best stadium of any sport at any level. This stadium was meant for football. Awesome environment and the efficiency with which it handles 115,000 fans (parking, traffic, people movement, food, bathrooms, concessions, support staff, safety) is superior to any stadium - pro or college - by a long shot. The atmosphere and facilities are first rate. The fans are great. The football spirit is great. Not a bad seat in the stadium. The only criticism is that it's too crowded - well no duh, how else do you fit 115,000 fans? As a Chicagoan who travels to many different sport venues, U of M stadium is so much better than any pro-sport venue, its not even close.

Holy Moly, this stadium is large. My bucket list was fulfilled by purchasing, flying to Michigan, and watching the Wolverines host the Buckeyes and seeing who remains undefeated between two unbeaten and powerhouse teams. I have to say, I was overwhelmed with the crowd capacity, the energetic vibe despite very cold temperatures, and the overall collegiate Big Ten Football experience. I don’t know which is better, a very hyped college game or a dynamic NFL match-up game. I highly encourage true collegiate football fanatics to come experience the vibe here at the Big House when your team comes to play here, it’s unlike any other college stadium and football atmosphere.

We had so much fun at this game! They really make these games a full experience, it was really nice - once in a lifetime type of feel. We came to a college tour and I initially got scammed on tickets (my fault). During the tour I met some other parents/alumni and they blessed us with tickets they couldn't use. If you wanna come I highly recommend planning way in advance but it was such an amazing time. Getting in was easy and fast despite so many people (100K!). You can't bring bags in, but if you forget (like me) they also have a fast and easy bag check. I was impressed how they accommodated so many people. Even for bathrooms and concessions we never waited more than 1 minute in a line. Also it's extremely accessible for those in wheelchairs. 10/10 highly recommend, if you have an opportunity to go you won't regret it!

An absolute powerhouse of an experience! The sheer magnitude of this iconic stadium is awe-inspiring. I had the incredible fortune to witness many games here, and it was nothing short of electrifying. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and passion from the devoted fans. And to top it off, witnessing 'The Game' victory here was an experience I'll cherish forever (3 times in a row!). The energy was crazy, the cheers echoing through the stadium were spine-tingling, and the shared love for maize and blue among fellow supporters was awesome. The stadium's layout ensured an excellent view from wherever I was seated, and the facilities were top-notch. This stadium embodies the spirit of college football and leaves an indelible mark on anyone lucky enough to be a part of the action. A must-visit for any sports enthusiast or Michigan fan! Go Blue

Attended The Game on Nov. 25 and loved the experience. Go Blue! Great atmosphere, fans, and venue. If you’re a college football fan this venue is a must.

Great experience! This was my first visit to The Big House and it did not disappoint. They displayed the new light show and it definitely got the crowd hype!
It's a nightmare trying to get through the crowd so "quick" trips to the bathroom or concessions can be daunting.
Worth noting - Invest in a seat cushion. I'll be getting one with a back rest because it can become uncomfortable sitting on the bleachers after a while.
