Still one of our favorite art galleries. It had been several years since our last visit. The staff are super welcoming and very knowledgeable about their artists. Always a pleasure and a feast for the eyes as you walk through the gallery.

This gallery is just one of our favourites so we stopped just to have a look. Definitely coming back when in the area. Always grat service and a friendly reception.

We had such an amazing experience at this gallery. I can’t say enough good things about it. The artwork was of amazing quality and a huge selection. The owner was extremely nice, helpful and of a great kindness. In fact, all the staff was like that. My wife and I purchased a piece and promised ourselves to come back for more. To the owner, un grand merci pour votre temps, gentillesse et franchise. Vos histoires et connaissances des pièces étaient super et très apprécié. Strongly recommended for all.
Merci Carl et Beverly

Amazing collection of Canadian art. We really enjoyed browsing through the gallery and found many wonderful artists. The gallery owner took time to show us many paintings. We look forward to returning soon!

Oh gosh what a fantastic gallery you walk in and immediately your spirits are uplifted the art is truly amazing I wish we could get the pictures on the plane with us, and the lady who runs the gallery was a delight to talk to.

A wonderful place to see in Charlevoix. Here you'll get a glimpse of Quebec and Canadian soul. Nevertheless the staff is nice and very knowledgeable. I'll say that if you are interested in art, it's a MUST see.

Finest museum from LA Malbaie to Baie Saint-Paul in our opinion. The Trebay family not only exhibits amazing works in 15 rooms; their fabulous China collection sits on shelves above the paintings. Hard to extract ourselves from this gallery...spent 3 hours.
Shauna Stoltz-Laurie — Google review
We were there in July and bought two beautiful paintings. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable and the gallery has an incredible selection of painters from Quebec and Ontario. A wonderful experience and a highlight of our trip to Charlevoix!

THANK YOU for the wonderful tour of your gallery on Saturday. My husband and I, and also my mother-in-law said it was our most favourite event of our weekend in La Malbaie -- even better than whale watching and a tour of Jardins de Quatre-Vents! Thanks for taking the time to connect with us, and to describe in depth each work of art. You are a gem!

Best art gallery I've ever seen. Super friendly owners are always on location to answer questions. Absolutely NO pressure to buy. Everyone is treated like an old friend. Don't go through La Malbaie without visiting this gallery!

Château-style casino perched on the river cliffs offering slots, table games, bars & restaurants.
Its small and i would love regular blackjack tables. They have the regular BJ at virtual tables but its not the same experience.
Marie-Christine Lemay — Google review
Not what it once was: The place is crammed with tacky slot machines, the Bar ambiance is trending downward since the renovations and overall the experience now feels very artificial and rigid with games like roulette and such now being Electronic.

Amazing view but very loud you can hear everyone walk outside the door do not recommend if u trying to have a romantic date

Spent a few days at this amazing property in August. The hotel is breathtaking, both inside and the outer grounds. You can really feel all the history of this place (and read about it all through the hallways and lobby). Great location, right next to the casino. Had a bit of a windfall this year, so decided to try my luck :) Only negative I would say is that the hi roller area is not as big or developed as the other casinos in Quebec. But overall great place!
Matt Mm — Google review
A casino with 2 floor levels. Main floor has more games where as the lower level is more quiet. There is a St Hubert BBQ restaurant on site, so you can play the slots/ have something to eat/and then play the slots again. A great place to pass some time especially if you have your hotel within walking distance.
Ernest Thoma — Google review
Wandered around the grounds for a while trying to suck in some of that philanthropic ambience....I felt it, and went inside. There's a lot of poker machines and I'm a frugal kind of gambler. The treasury department suggests "Gamble Responsibly"....and I do, but when it comes to drinkin'!!%??
I had a couple of beers and lunch, the young lady at the bar was very courteous, helpful and kind.
Lonely Traveler — Google review
The casino itself is very nice, enjoyed the atmosphere and a good selection of machines, however the older gentleman at the front entrance was very rude, not a good first impression.
maria besharah — Google review
Staff is really nice, diverse slot machines and few tables with reasonable minimum bet size
Alexandre Fradette — Google review
Cute casino, not very large but has all you need, at least if your not a big player. Went a Saturday evening when google said it was very busy but still had an easy time finding a spot to park in the 6$ covered section. They have slot machines for all tastes. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Kim McDonald — Google review
The 2nd best casino after Montreal, visit this instead of the one in Quebec City!
Sachin Tewari — Google review
Small casino, but entertaining nonetheless! There's two areas to park, one is covered and paid ($6) and the others are a bit of a walk and free. There is a ton of slot machines, but not many games tables (blackjack, roulette, craps). There seemed to be a lot of people present for a Sunday evening, but we managed to find a spot. Won a whole $3, covered half the price of parking ;)
Meghan S — Google review
I regret to report that my experience at this casino was significantly marred by the behavior of the staff. Rather than displaying the cordiality and professionalism that one would expect from a reputable establishment, the employees were unapproachable, rude, and demonstrated favoritism towards their regular patrons. Disturbingly, I observed instances where they instructed paying customers to vacate their table in favor of their preferred clients, especially in the roulette section. Such conduct is wholly unacceptable and creates an atmosphere that is not conducive to an enjoyable gambling experience. As a result, I left the premises feeling disheartened and disappointed, with no desire to return to this particular casino. I would advise potential customers to carefully consider their options before visiting this establishment, as the inhospitable and disrespectful conduct of the staff detracts significantly from any potential enjoyment that the casino might offer.

Beautiful and breathtaking! Too many things to explore. Scenic hikes, mountains, waterfalls and rivers.
You might get a small camp site if booking for 2-3 people. But amazing camping spots. Neat, clean and well maintained washrooms. Will definitely camp here again!

This is a magnificent park where you can so so many activities from kayaking to hiking.
We tried to do the main 6 km hike but we weren't ready for it. It's a steep climb of more than 800m.
Even where we stopped at the 3 km mark, we could see wonderful views.
Definitely gonna go back and beat that 6km hike :D

This really is a beautiful remote area with very little people. On the Le Riverain hike you have magnificient views on the Malbaie river and its green mountains. We came back explore the Rivera by Canadian canoe. Highly recommended!

Chalet Écho : perfect little cabin with everything you need (except a freezer). Very comfy and modern, fully equipped kitchen, BBQ outside, 2 rooms with 2 single beds each that you can push together. One of the rooms closes only with a curtain, but it is still rather private, so ok for 2 couples. There is a wooden box full of free firewood when you arrive at the cabin. Amazing view and setting! Definitely recommend!

visited this park a few years ago, however it’s become my favourite Sepaq location that I’ve visited in Quebec. The hike to the summit is not relatively hard, as the trail is very manicured. You can make it up there in about 2 hours, if you’re at a decent pace and physics condition and don’t take many breaks. The views are worth the drive and if you’re in the area I definitely recommend adding a visit to this park to your journey.

I did the Acropole des Draveurs with my girlfriend, very nice hike with a nice view at the top.
PS: They bring you at the foot of the hill by bus, after that you're off for the hike with a pretty steep start (about 1km) then it's slows down. After 5km you get to the first summit and see the second from there, when you go to the second you see third and last summit. The hike is back and forth (no loop).
Augustin Cr?met — Google review
One of the best hiking experience we had. Difficult trail but lead you to the fantastic panoramic view on the top. Hiking shoes and good socks preferred. Has to return from Summit 3 at least 3 hrs before sunset.

If you want to be one with nature, it's the place to be! Beautiful hiking trails ! Great camping grounds. If you are lucky, you can get a camping ground right in front of the river! Imagine waking up and listening to the flow of the river as you wake. It's one of my favorite places!!
Sheila Potante — Google review
I don't even know how to explain this place, other than absolute beauty, we only did a 10k trek up to "the yeti" view point so there will be so much more to see than I have and truthfully it has topped a lot of what I've seen in my life, and will be hard to beat for a picturesque view.
The walk through the woods alone is epic but the pinnacle points are absolutely divine and I would recommend this park in a heartbeat.
I'll be going home to Scotland with a renewed sense of exploration and a hunger to tackle the munroe mountains again thanks to this park 🙌
Also the staff at the centre were incredibly helpful and welcoming.
David Grimm — Google review
Great service from the rangers and team throughout. It was amazing to get away and enjoy rustic camping. Each camp site is private so not to hear each other, with access to the river. Would recommend a few days to chill and take the opportunity to explore the different hikes available

Wild Nature. Amazing Parc to spend at least 4 nights to do all the hikes.
Our favorite was renting a canoe to enjoy the landscape from the river (no current, 2hours rowing) and then doing a hike visiting the waterfall. You can also rent a kayak or sup, and also rent a bike or walk.
The camp (pin blanc) was very nice, beside the river, hot shower and very spacious, the river was a little noisy but very beautiful.

OMG! Canada is a really great country that you must get out to see!
First time to this region of Quebec, and it's breathtakingly awesome! Images can't do justice to the shear magnitude of the cliffs, waterfalls, trails, and rivers here.
This park is pristine. All expected services and amenities are available. Even the shuttle drivers love what they do.
Highly recommended.

Amazing place to go for a hike. If you want to go to the high test peak (acropole des draveurs) you need to arrive before noon since it requires a bus shuttle to arrive at the trailhead and their last shuttle leaves at noon on the dot. I missed it at 12:03

Lots of local dairy products, cow and goat cheeses, hard and soft, and other local treats. Some ready to eat right away, but other than many many curds (poutine obviously!), Most of our purchases needed the cold pack!

Mountain resort for skiing & snowboarding, with river views & trails for summertime hiking & biking.
Lots of great runs and the view can't be beat. The food at the cafeteria was decent. We also did the luge run and it was fantastic. You need to book in advance but it was well worth it. We snowshoed and it was beautiful. But the catski option would be good too.

Le Massif is an amazing place to ski/snowboard! We spent 3 beautiful days skiing over Ontario March break (different timing then Quebec March break) and Wow! No lineups for anything in 3 days, food, tickets and most importantly lifts were all ready to serve.
Tonnes of well groomed trails and skill levels to choose from. We stayed at a Hillside Chalet beside the trail at the top of the hill to ski in-ski out from and it was worth it. Saved time, parking and food, meant longer ski days! Gorgeous view of the St. Lawrence river from every run and lodging, this place… it’s definitely a must.
Standard food prices and lift tickets were on par for a big hill but I believe they limit the amount of tickets available to control crowd size on the hill. Tickets(card) was reloadable on line to again save time.
Well planned, well laid out, very worth while!
There is a Club Med at the base of the mountain for the all inclusive crowd.
They also have mountain biking in the summer and a chairlift Light show that’s worth checking out from the looks of it.
Great job Massif!
Not great pics from my old phone but gives you an idea.
Jay Gagnon — Google review
Very nice slopes, and it would have been better with more snow. Although not all trails were open over the holiday break in Dec 2021, it was still a great skiing experience. Would surely come back to see if Le Massive staff warmed up to the ClubMed members (may be it's just us but sensed a little hint of attitude there).
Olga Gagarina — Google review
by far one of the best, if not the best slopes in Quebec. beautiful runs paired with beautiful views of the forest or the river, very very hard to beat. i visited right after a decent snowfall and the snow was amazing to snowboard on. if you’re looking for a good spot to ski/snowboard in Quebec this is definitely it.

I tried the new Le vol d'oiseau mécanique from the top of the mountain. You need to reserve in advance and the price is on the expansive side. You start with a walk down with small lanterns. Then, you take a chair lift down that goes quite fast. During this walk and chair lift there is little animation (music or light show-wise). Then you take the chair lift up, and that's when you get beautiful light shows and music.
Audrey Deschênes-Renaud — Google review
This place is a gem. Amazing views. No lift lines in late December. The infrastructure seemed pretty fresh (gondola, high speed quads, even the T-bar-type lift were all new-ish and worked well). The ticket RFID scanners at the lifts were nice and efficient. The food in the lodge was expensive but surprisingly healthy/good food. Zero fries/burger/hot dog/etc. It was almost shocking how there was no junk food. I think adding some basics for kids (with kid portions and prices) would have been nice. Overall a great place, we’ll be back.
Mike Lovas — Google review
Not recommend for first time skier. The green is challenging as it has mixed terrains.
Other then that, it’s fabulous place to ski. The view along with the way make everything so worthwhile.
By the way, try their sledding, it has a lot of fun for both kids (age 10 above) and adults.
Jessica Zhang — Google review
We went for 'Le Vol de l'Oiseau mécanique ', the light show at night time. You spend a good time on the chair lifts in complete darkness. So, if you are afraid of heights, it's not for you, but if you are in for a challenge, do it. There is also some walking in gravel and some spots it's an uphill hike. So if you have any health problems like asthma, be aware. Bring a warm windbreaker with a hoodie, even a hat, because it gets really windy and cold. I also recommend some gloves because the chair lift bars get cold. All in all, I loved my experience!
Cristine Guiomar — Google review
Don’t leave phone in pocket next to ski pass it stops it working.
Good customer service in ski rental. Foot measured and bindings adjusted for boot.
Boots, skis and poles $50 Canadian. Lifts easy to use and plenty of good parking.

The Laurentian Mountains, one of the world's most ancient ranges, can be found in a nature reserve where visitors can enjoy hiking and biking trails. The Mont Tremblant National Park features well-maintained paths and amenities such as dry toilets at the start of hikes. Dramatic canyon with suspension-bridge trails, waterfalls, rappelling & zip lining.
A beautiful natural canyon for hiking and family activities. This is an enclosed area of the river with many waterfalls and beautiful hiking trails.
There is a charge of $16 for adult to get in. If you want to have an areal view of the canyon, you can pay an extra $10 to ride an open cable car to get up to the hill. I prefer walk to get close encounter with nature.
There are suspended bridges and lookout areas to see the waterfalls and the streams. Some lookouts are more challenging in getting there.
The leaves are starting change creating a beautiful scenery in the canyon.
Get down to the lowest point of lookout, you will be able to get a photo of the whole canyon waterfall. But prepare to do some climbing of stairs. So ware some comfortable cloths and a good pit hiking shoes.

Gorgeous views from the walk. The story at each view point kept my kids entertained. My 3 year old actually walked the whole way round including the 187 steps. There is a ride that shoots you across the canyon that looks fun. My kids were too small and husband scared of heights. Dogs are allowed. Some cool suspension bridges too. Clean well maintained public toilets and a play structure for kids. Shop and a Cafe but we didn't go into Cafe.

It was a nice walk down the Canyon over nicely built bridges and sometimes paved walkways. Lots of sitting areas for a picnic, right by the river or in covered areas in case it rains. It was like catered hiking that was well marked and maintained. Lots of space and many great picturesque locations on platforms right by the river overlooking the falls.

WOW. This place is gorgeous. My partner and I had such a fun time exploring it. Took us about 2 hours to go through the whole thing. They have a trail for kids too, which has interactive stories as well as some games. The falls was phenomenal. We ended up going on the air canyon thing, it was nerve racking but so worth it. The view you get is worth every penny. We did buy our tickets in advance but not sure the benefits as we still waited in line to get registered and what not. Could have easily just bought them there! The staff was also really friendly :)

Amazing place to visit. It's about 45 mins from Quebec City, it's not too far. It's an incredible gift from Nature. The view in autumn is just stunning. There are a lot of visitors from Asia. Just look at my pictures, you will fall in love with this place 😍🍁
It's not the best place for a kids troller. Better to let them walk and run by themselves.. there is a fence all the way, so there is no danger at all.
Véronique Fortin — Google review
July 2021 an amazing destination that's worth the visit. At a cost of approximately $23 per adult and $17 per child with the cost of going on the zip line, this is well worth the visit. Parking is free. The zip line itself only lasts about 10 seconds and if you go early, there's a short line. The zip line stops just above the canyon at about 10 storeys high for a brief moment while you take in the scenery. The park is well maintained. Stairs have handrails and pathways are paved with gravel or asphalt. Lots of suspension bridges and a path that leads you around the canyon and past multiple bridges and look out points. Front entrance has washrooms, a picnic area, and a small playground for the younger kids. A great stop to past by. Your looking to spend about 2 to 2.5+ hours. If you need to wait at the zip line, add another 30 mins. Plan 3.5 hours if you plan to take things slow.

A beautiful place with nice natural walk while observing the waterfall. Did the air zip line and it was fun. But had to wait in line for more than 30 minutes to get to my turn. It’s worth visiting for sure.
Lidia Lee — Google review
This is a fantastic place for a walk and to explore the natural beauty of the canyon. It's not a difficult walk, but there are a decent number of stairs. There are also several suspension bridges over the water, so just be aware if that's something that makes you nervous. None are rickety or sway too much, and they all feel very stable.
The views are amazing and there are many lookouts that are great spots for photos, or just to admire the natural scenery. There are also plenty of signs to provide information on the area for those who are interested.
At the entrance there is a restaurant and gift shop, as well as bathrooms. There aren't bathrooms anywhere else in the park so use them at the start before you head out. There are also picnic tables available under the trees if you'd like to bring your own lunch/snacks.
You can get to the bottom of the canyon and back in an hour or so, but if you like a slower pace to take in the sights and read the signs, plan for this to be a morning or afternoon activity.
Definitely worth the visit. If you like the outdoors, you won't be disappointed.

This is my second time coming here in 4 years. I live this place. Nature hiking with a bit of stairs at its finest. There are 2 ways to go. 1 way is the wheelchair accessible and the other loads of stairs. Brought my doggo and he loved every bit of it. There's water bowls for your doggie every couple hundred meters. Defo recommended this spot to any nature enthusiasts

Canyon Sainte-Anne was one of my favourite stops during my trip to Canada - it had breathtaking waterfalls, awe inspiring views and an adventure zip line that is not to be missed. Our trip lasted about 3 and half hours and this included a leisurely stroll across the canyon; the air canyon and a bite to eat at the ample picnic benches provided. Added to this the gift shop was excellent and everything (including the entrance and air canyon) was very reasonably priced and you’ve got a great day trip.
We arrived early and had the place pretty much to ourselves but noted that by lunchtime that tour buses were arriving and so for the best photographs I’d maybe suggest arriving at one of the less busy times but whenever you go you’ll have a fabulous time

Not for people who are scared of hight ! ! Entrance is 14 if you are visiting the park and 25 is you will take the air canyon. Beautiful hanging bridges and look outs. The last bridge has 187 stairs so be aware. The whole trip takes 1:30 max. The aircanyon is scary . I recommend to visit!

Simply spectacular. It is a half hour drive east of Quebec City, but well worth the trip. The ceiling tells the life story of St. Anne from one end to the other. I visited here about 48 years ago. Sadly, they had to remove most of the canes and crutches from the pillars because of Covid - too many people wanted to touch them, so that profound impression is lessened. But the sanctuary, and the chapel downstairs are just beautiful.

No words to describe the beauty and serenity of this historic shrine. Free Guided Tours are a must to explore to full extent. Huge parking lots. Currently renovation work is going on. A must visit place when in the area

This is an incredible and beautiful cathedral! Well worth a visit to take in all the exquisite architecture and beautiful detailed artistic workmanship throughout the interior design. (we visited in August on a bit of a rainy day) From the many mosaics, stained glass, carvings, and marble accents to the incredible gorgeous bronze interior front doors! So peaceful and calming and healing. Powerful experience ❤️

This is a must place to visit in Quebec. The church is located in a very scenic location. Very beautiful, huge solemn church. Very memorable and miraculous for us couple. There is a public toilet outside… Interior architectural design is amazing as well. The St. Lawrence river is awesome. You can find some restaurants and fast food shops along the road. We really enjoyed driving here.

Beautiful sanctuary. The interior and exterior of this structure make it a iconic spot to visit. The architectural design is truly mesmerizing. The beautiful mosiac art and its sculptures are truly worth it. It is well maintained inside and outside. Overall, a beautiful place to visit with family or by yourself. It was a great experience for my family and I and its worth experiencing some time in your life.

An architecture masterpiece well worth the visit. Beautiful mosaic work and art. Also be sure to check out the chapel downstairs and sculptures outside the main building.

Absolutely beautiful church outside of Quebec City. The church is considered a pilgrimage site, dedicated to St Anne, Mary the mother of Jesus' mother. The interior decoration and architecture is fantastic. Unfortunately, we witnessed a house on fire directly across the street during our visit. If you happen to take the time to go here be sure to check out the basement as well. Very beautiful. Follow for more...

This has got to be one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. I am surprised there is no entry fee here while they charge a fee to see notre dame in Montreal which in my opinion is not as amazing as this basilica.
Incredible architecture and the mosaic work is simply beautiful.
Very impressive and a must see place on Quebec.

Amazing place . Church is well maintained and peaceful. The facilities are well-maintained, and the worship services are conducted with reverence and enthusiasm. The music and worship team's performances are heartfelt and moving, contributing to the overall sense of reverence and connection.
The church is a welcoming and spiritually enriching place that offers a blend of tradition and contemporary thought, fosters a strong sense of community, and actively contributes to the betterment of society. Whether you're seeking a place of worship, personal growth, or meaningful connections, this church is undoubtedly a remarkable choice.

This church is extremely beautiful to see, both from outside and inside, with delicate and well-planned sections that are easy to miss.
There are multiple layers of religious depictions. On the outermost layer inside church, Old Testament figures are shown. Then the next layer shows the stations of the cross. Then on the pillars around church are scenes from the life of Christ; the carved details on the pillars are magnificent (see pics)!
Then on the top of church is chronological art of St Anne’s life from her birth (starting from back left when facing altar), circling around the church, ending with death of St Anne (at back right side). Using Google translate helped make sense of what’s written in French :).
The four corner pillars in front of the altar are carvings of the 4 Gospel writers, commonly seen in Catholic and Orthodox churches.
Presented in this way, I interpreted it as showing the OT prophets who prefigured Christ (at outer layer) and Anne who indirectly influenced Christ (at very top), as those who surrounded and played an integral role in Christ’s life (as seen in center and middle of church).
The outside area of the church are also beautiful to walk around; plus, don’t miss the chapels downstairs. Additionally, the golden door on the outside include integrate details of Scripture scenes. Well worth the visit!
The church opened my eyes to a historical figure often overlooked. The mother of Christ, Mary, is who she is due to the influence of her parents, Anne and Joachim. Anne’s background and upbringing of Mary brings to light her influence on the mother Mary.
It’s worth noting that on the top of the altar are three figures in middle, Mary, Christ, and Anne. Those on the side of Christ depicts the immense influence of these two women!

Most amazing church in Canada!
Started building in 1658 and has taken almost 200 years to finalize the build. Architecture and build quality is truly outstanding!

This is a must see in the Quebec City area. It is a massive Romanesque basilica built on a site with a lot of history. The only problem is that it is quite a way out from city center. I recommend taking the Unitour bus tour.

Glorious basilica outside of Quebec city. It's totally worth the visit.
Beautiful inside and outside.
Didn't have to pay to visit.
Underground chapel is pretty, but the main nave is a must-see.

Incredible church. Serene and stunning architecture. Lots of parking space. They also offer free tours.
The facilities are well maintained. It's a definite visit if you are stopping at Old Quebec city. There is some construction going on in front but this doesn't impact the glory of this church.
Animal park home to bears, wolves & lemurs, with farm animals to feed, food trucks & a pizzeria.
A perfect location for a family day out. The layout and planning is quite Impressive and intriguing. The warm members of staff would definitely make you want to come again… I only wish the guides could be bilingual and the plaques also have English translations.

Best zoo ever. You have lots of proximity to the animals.
You have a good variety of animals.
One thing that is great at Miller Zoo is that you can see they care about the animals. They look healthy. One example is the tiger. He has the most beautiful fur I have seen from any zoo around the world.
Great job to the managers and employees.
This is alwats great to go because it is evolving from year to year.

Had an amazing time at the Miller Zoo. The animals were beautiful and each of them have their own history and personality. They feed animals in front of you and give you a lot of facts about the species. There’s a restaurant and a food truck. We came from Montreal and weren’t disappointed at all. I’ll go back for sure. I recommend !

It was an excellent activity for the day. The kids loved it and there were a large variety of animals. The food was really good as well and both the park and the restaurant were reasonably priced. It was a bit of a drive but it was scenic. the only thing I would have liked to have seen was to have the information cards throughout the park be in both French and English and not just French. Loved it though

We love Miller Zoo! It’s a great place to spend the day. The site is enormous. There is a multitude of animals. There are picnic tables scattered throughout the site if you want to pack a lunch. There is also a restaurant on site and food trucks parked at the entrance if you’d rather purchase your food. There’s a playground for the kids. A gift shop to browse. And the staff is polite and knowledgeable! Our favourite part is the tiger feeding hour. Definitely worth the drive to visit!

Great place! The animals seemed really well treated, the park was clean and the staff friendly.
Some extra shade for visitors would be nice in extremely sunny conditions and the toilets on the reserve side were less than ideal but otherwise it was a great experience.

It's still a work in progress but it is good to have a zoo in the area. There are portable toilets for public use. There is also a food truck on site. There are plenty of picnic tables in the shade but I do recommend that you get there early so that you can park close otherwise you may have to ride a shuttle bus to get there.

Great parc with lots of animals to see and wonder around in their habitats. The cast (most part) seems to enjoy their work and specially those sharing stories of the animals arrival, history or fun facts (those of bears are always interesting). Most animals are in good shapes, with space to hide from you when i imagine they had enough of being seen 🤭... yet a great experience for kids and adults. You get a “food court” at the entrance, parking and reste area.
Khalel Leconte — Google review
My favorite zoo. From one month to the next there are constant modifications and upgrades to make the animals enclosures bigger and better. You can feel that they are here to help and the animals not just to bring in the tourists and that is ok with me. We visit like 5 times a year.
Catherine Manitius — Google review
Very friendly, welcoming zoo with close contact with nature
Went there with a friend, had barely heard about which is a shame, the place is great! Price is very very fair, the animal variety is nice and during winter you can go in the enclosures!
Would definitely recommend, but bring a pic-nic! They do have a small gift shop with chocolate bars and drinks but nothing else
Very family friendly, nice "home-made" feel and the animals are adorable and they look comfortable
Mαrc EC — Google review
I would give it a 1.5 star if I could. It is unfortunately far from the city and incredibly unorganized. You show up and end up in this massive field to wait for over an hour for a shuttle to bring you to the zoo, where you have to wait in line again to buy your ticket, since you can’t buy anything online. The total wait to even get in the zoo was over 2.5hrs and we still showed up decently early. It was so crowded and difficult to see anything or walk anywhere. Almost no COVID regulation was followed, even by the staff members. I overheard a staff member saying that there was over 5000 visitors that day, on a weekday.
The enclosures look like they barely make the minimum requirements for the animals. We only saw one animal being rehabilitated. Many enclosures are under renovations or empty. Unclear signs as to where the animals are or which animals are in what enclosures.
The only feeding time we were waiting for was for the lion one, with about 200 other people. Turns out we waited for no reason because there was another lion enclosure and all of us were at the incorrect one. They should be the times written on the enclosures for clarity.
The only thing I did enjoy was the little monkey in the attached photo. We completed the park on under 1.5-2hrs and left incredibly disappointed. On the way back we took the little shuttle that did not take us to our parking field, but to another shuttle that then took us to our car. To be clear, we waited almost 30 minutes for that shuttle.
Overall, the Miller Zoo looks like it’s a zoo that got big too quickly and it couldn’t keep up. Watching it on TV will be a much more enjoyable experience and a chance to actually see some animals. With the price we pay to go to the zoo, hopefully they will put it to good use.

Located in Quebec City, Montmorency Falls are a tall waterfall with beautiful views. Tourists can visit the falls from an observation deck, and in winter, they can also ice climb on the falls' slopes.
This place was enchanting beautiful views of the waterfall the bridge the city the river everything rolled up into one. I went here in the rain and had the most amazing time ever you could possibly have in bad weather. The crowds weren't too bad and I was able to see the falls from various views and I would recommend this place for quick romantic getaway for two or family fun. There's not one thing I can think of to make this experience better and even parking was still pretty easy to manage. This is a definite place you should visit 100% while you're in Quebec and don't even think about leaving until you do. 😁

It was nice. Quick and short, it is a nice short walk, about 7 minutes. It's a lovely waterfall. The area is clean and well plowed. I suggest really good snow boots if you are going in the winter, consider snow cleats for your shoes because of the ice. It's well paved and plowed but there's ice that can't be helped. They add gravel and sand to help with traction when walking. The bridge is perfectly fine and very safe, it's a lovely bridge.

We arrived early and paid in advance online. This is a great place to visit, it wasn't overpriced and if you arrive early it's not too crowded. An added bonus is they have carnival exhibits still available in the summer. I cannot stress the importance of arriving early, it got quite busy as the day progressed.

The towering waterfall and suspension bridge offer a captivating natural spectacle. Hiking trails provide varying perspectives of this stunning wonder.

And to top it off it's not really expensive!

It costs to enter but is well done. Park and walk past the gondola and historic manor to the foot bridge over the falls. Continue walking around past the zip line and down nearly 500 stairs with views to the bottom of the falls. Continue around the boardwalk to the other side of the falls, then walk back. Or take the gondola up if you are tired or want a different view.
William Szepesi — Google review
Beautiful, clean place. Adult tickets cost $8-9, and given that we climbed the stairs (rather than cable car), there were no additional fees. The bridge itself is crowded with tourists, but the view from below and above is already breathtaking.
Aisha Rem — Google review
Beautiful scenery. Beware of the stairs if you aren't particularly active/fit else be prepared to take many breaks. Also recommend to wear a jacket or layer as some parts get very misty from the falls. Worth the full walk around at the bottom to get some great photos of the falls

Amazing place to visit. The suspension bridge is right above the fall... Beautiful walk among the nature. The cable car system is a good experience too.. you can buy tickets online.
Kiran Mishra — Google review
An amazing excursion not too far from the heart of the city! I loved that we could see the falls from a number of different vantage points, including from the suspension bridge, the stairs and at the bottom of the falls.
It's set up really well, especially if you don't mind a bit of walking and aren't afraid of the staircase! But there's also a cable car that takes visitors to the top and bottom of the falls if you don't want to or cannot navigate so many steps.
There are a number of snack bars on site so it's easy to get some refreshments and there are plenty of picnic benches and lots of greenspace where visitors can relax and take in the sites.
For the more adventurous visitors there's a zip line and rock climbing guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping!
Highly recommended! I would absolutely go back.
Cheryl — Google review
Exceptional waterfall with multiple places to see the attraction from different angles. Note that you can pay and park at first level to see the fall at lower level and then you’ll need to exit and search on your navigation for suspension bridge to park at top area (the same ticket can be shown for both places). It’s worth seeing from top and bottom area.

Visited this spectacle with a group of friends during a trip to Quebec City (prior to the pandemic). This place is absolutely gorgeous--the photos don't do it justice. You must see this in person to fully appreciate it. Standing over the bridge suspended just above the Falls is a breathtaking experience. It truly allows you to appreciate the beauty and power (from the sounds of the cascading water) of the Falls. Strongly recommend everyone to visit!!! Look forward to returning sometime in the future!

Had a great visit to the falls. We rode the 800 bus from old Quebec city, and it dropped you off right near the entrance. The falls are very nice they have nice trails to walk across the suspension bridge and to the stairs where you can climb down to the bottom. Lot of lookout points for photos. There are washrooms available to use. It's definitely worth a visit

The Quebec City Mural is a large trompe l'oeil painting of the city's history and important figures. It is located in Petit Champlain district, and can be seen while walking around Place-Royale.
It is quite big and the history behind it is interesting. The mural features individuals who either are from Québec or have a significance to the city. There are signs available on site explaining who each individuals are. There’s also a ramp going up towards Breakneck Steps if you want a higher-up view. Date of visit October 14, 2021.

I love Quebec city. So vivid and beautiful. This mural is so beautifully drawn. I visited Quebec City last summer and one of the highlights of my trip was seeing the Quebec City mural, also known as La Fresque des Québécois. This mural is a stunning example of trompe l’oeil, a painting technique that creates an optical illusion of depth and realism. The mural covers the entire wall of a building on Rue Notre-Dame.
The mural is very detailed and impressive, and I spent a long time admiring it and trying to identify the different elements. I learned that the mural features 15 historical figures, such as Jacques Cartier, Samuel de Champlain, Louis de Buade de Frontenac, etc. who played important roles in the exploration, settlement, development, and identity of Quebec City. The mural also shows some of the city’s landmarks, such as the Château Frontenac, the Parliament Building, and the fortifications. The mural also incorporates elements of the seasons, the geography, and the cultural diversity of Quebec City.
The mural is a great way to learn about the history and heritage of Quebec City in a fun and artistic way. It is also a testament to the creativity and talent of the artists who painted it. I highly recommend visiting the mural if you are in Quebec City. It is a must-see attraction that will leave you amazed and inspired. It’s free. Enjoy!!

Old Quebec City is a magical place that transports you back in time to a different era. The cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and charming shops and restaurants make it a must-visit destination for anyone who loves history, culture, and architecture.
Walking around Old Quebec City feels like stepping into a European city, with its narrow streets, beautiful churches, and old-world charm. The highlight of the city is the iconic Chateau Frontenac, a grand hotel that towers over the city and offers stunning views of the St. Lawrence River.
The city is full of historic sites and museums, including the Citadel, the Plains of Abraham, and the Musée de la civilisation. Each of these sites provides a glimpse into Quebec City's rich history and culture, from the city's founding to its role in the battles that shaped Canada.

In the heart of Old Quebec City, this mural is a beautiful piece of art that also tells a lot about Quebec history. There are a lot of details to pick out if you care to look, and it's interesting to see, for example, the different types of clothes that people wear over many different time periods, all in the same mural.
The mural is in an open place so you can step back and appreciate the enormity of the art as it towers over multiple stories, but you can also go right up to it and examine all the details. My kids loved posing for photos and interacting with the mural.
It's free to visit and right next to the many restaurants and shops, so the area is full of life. Definitely worth a visit.

Traditional hotel with unfussy rooms, some with river views, plus optional breakfast & free Wi-Fi.
We arrived at Hotel Terrasse Dufferin and WOW what an awesome surprise. We were greeted by Amélie, who instantly made us feel welcome and like we were the most important guests ever! The hotel in our opinion is perfectly situated right near the Chateau with views of the river. Our room was also great we couldn’t fault it, large and very comfortable. We originally booked for 2 and stayed for 5 nights.
Amélie and Simon have only taken over the hotel recently, we wish them the very best in their new venture with all the plans for improvements they have and are positive they will be extremely successful. We will be back!!

If you’re considering booking because of the ~low price - I would stay away! The hotel is near empty and for our short 2 night stay they placed us on the very top floor. The stairs are very steep and there’s no elevator. It’s absolute hell going up and down multiple times a day, not to mention dragging your luggage along. I payed directly through their website so they should have had the courtesy to place us on the lower levels because there was no fee cut through a 3rd party booking site!
The Queen Room is tiny, literally feels like a prison cell. The bathroom sink is abnormally low and in a tight cramped corner that you have to squeeze into. If you have wide shoulders - good luck!
There is no AC and it’s so stuffy inside that it’s hard to breathe. There also a lack of ventilation in the rooms. There’s a ceiling fan that is completely useless and provides no breeze. Speaking of useless things, they included an old box TV which I suppose is just for decor because it also doesn’t work!
The icing on the cake is the rude man at the reception. Overcomplicated a simple check in process.
The hotel isn’t entirely that affordable to suffer through all this so spend the extra $50-60 and stay at a decent place.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Terrasse Dufferin. The location is incredible just steps away from a toboggan ride and the St Lawrence River. We came for Carnaval and it was so easy to walk to the venues.
Everything was very clean, housekeeping was provided to us every day, alongside a complementary snack/drink stash (an amazing extra that made breakfast so easy). Service overall was amazing.
Also the option to be able to store luggage on check out to explore the area a little more before leaving.
Only thing to note is that the building is old, so there were loud creaks at night, but we just used earplugs and were fine.

Great Location and views of the St. Lawrence and the promenade. The hotel itself is a little old and a little tired, but so what, who goes to Quebec to sit in their room! The service is super friendly and helpful, and the money we saved staying here, we spent on fine wine and dining! Had a great time over the Canada day long weekend, would stay here again in a heart beat!

The location is wonderful, the people are nice, rooms are clean. We asked for a room on the 1st floor because we are older & didn't want the stairs. We had room #2 & it was wonderful. This is a 100+ year old building, so if you want something new & Shiney, this is not for you. We loved it!

If you don't go into this hotel stay thinking you're booking somewhere with a marble shower, elevator, chic lobby bar etc., you will be thrilled. This isn't your Instagram hotel. If you want to stay in the best location at a reasonable price, this is the spot. Yes, rooms are small and dated, but who wants to spend that much time in their room on vacation anyway? The whole city is there for your recreation.
The important parts: rooms are clean, well maintained and dark at night; beds are comfortable if a bit soft (my husband prefers a hard bed but liked this one!); there is serviceable coffee in room; shower water is hot; room was sufficiently air conditioned; we checked in after 10pm and a key was waiting for us in the lock box (customer service texted with me which was super easy).
I would stay here again in a second. Our room was on the top floor which might be hard for some people (the front door of the hotel isn't accessible so this place isn't an option at all for people with mobility devices) but I'm 7 months pregnant and managed it. There are little chairs on every landing so you can have a rest between flights 😊. We didn't have a view but looked out the window of a riverview room and it was gorgeous!

Terrasse Dufferin is a charming family hotel nestled by the Saint Lawrence River, just a stone's throw away from the iconic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. This historic gem, dating back to 1880, offers an enchanting blend of old-world charm and modern comfort.
Our stay at Terrasse Dufferin was nothing short of delightful. The location couldn't be better, with all of Quebec City's attractions within easy reach. Whether you want to explore the quaint streets of Old Quebec or savor the breathtaking river views from the hotel's terraces, you're in for a treat.
What truly made our stay special was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the owner's daughter, who fluently speaks English. Her genuine hospitality and knowledge of the area added an extra layer of comfort and convenience to our visit. The rooms were cozy and tastefully decorated, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing retreat after a day of exploring.
Terrasse Dufferin is more than just a hotel; it's a gateway to the heart of Quebec City. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, and we can't wait to return. If you're looking for a home away from home with a touch of history and a dash of hospitality, this is the place to be.

This 180 year old hotel is an experience by itself, which adds to the old time and timeless charm of Quebec. Conveniently located just a few steps away from the iconic landmarks of old Quebec (Terrasse Dufferin, Château Frontenac, Citadel). If you are looking for a posh and an accommodation with modern trappings this ain't for you. The building is antiquated but for some reason my wife and I end up loving it.
Apart from that, Amelie is probably one of the most welcoming hotel staff that we have come across in our years of travel.

This is hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed in. It feels so cozy and welcoming and not to mention the historical aspect. Its over 180 years old and is so well maintained and just beautiful on the inside and out. It’s right beside the Fairmont and the boardwalk with the 1884 Dufferin Snow/ice slide not even a 2 minute walk away. It’s also a good walking distance from so many restaurants, shops, transit, and the ferry to Lévis! The staff are so charming, friendly and knowledgeable, they’re above and beyond!

6 Pl. Terr. Dufferin, Québec City, Quebec G1R 4N5, Canada
The Notre-Dame de Québec Basilica-Cathedral is an imposing structure that has been rebuilt several times and features beautiful artwork, including a sanctuary lamp given to the bishop by Louis XIV. It's home to many impressive items of art, including an Episcopal throne canopy and a crypt housing the governors and most of Quebec City's bishops.
Extremely beautiful interior here! It's always a good idea to check the hours of operation so that you can get a look inside and take some photos. Note that they actually hold mass here so they can be running mass while you are visiting

So calm and beautiful! It is such a wonderful feeling to be in Canada's oldest church. You can spend an hour here, just sitting with awe in front of the gold-plated apse. There is also a small museum on-site dedicated to the church's 375-year-old history and the story of Quebec's first bishop Francois de Laval. Best of all, it's completely free!

Breathtaking church! Everything inside is so well thought out and elaborate. The holy door was very cool to see (inside on the left-hand side if you are facing the front).

⭐Stunning Interior - Full of History & Cultural Significance⭐
Constructed in 1647, this Cathedral is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a must-visit location in the historic quarter of Old Québec. It is perhaps most iconic for being the burial place of François de Laval, as well as having a Holy Door installed in 2014 (under authorization of the Pope) to commemorate its 350th anniversary.
The interior is simply stunning and photos can't capture (albeit I have done my best!). See it in person for an unforgettable experience.

Church was very nice! The most friendliest welcome I’ve ever got! Would definitely recommend visiting! Note: Pictures are aloud to be taken inside

Beautiful church in Old Quebec, Quebec City. The staff is very friendly, they talk both English and French to help the visitors. They have a small museum inside where you can read about the history. They also have relics of different saints.
It is a must visit place if you love the architecture of churches.

Gorgeous architecture, quiet place to grab a few minutes rest and peaceful contemplation in Old Quebec!
Sy Pham — Google review
This was the best “attraction” I visited in Quebec City. It was definitely worth the uphill walk! It is completely free for everyone to go inside. This was an amazing experience. It truly felt euphoric and serene being in such a beautiful church. A wedding in this church would be an out of this world experience. This is a must see.
Emilia Hajjar — Google review
The most powerful place I have visited in the entire province of Québec. We were fortunate enough to visit during the 350th anniversary of the Basilica, so the Holy Door was open. It was such a moving experience to hold Jesus' hand while pushing open the heavy door, crossing from the outside world into the peaceful and spiritually-inspired world within the Basilica..
Such a breathtaking space! The architecture, the wood, the statues, the paintings, the stained glass.
There were great bilingual pieces of information throughout, and we felt we learned a lot about the history of the Basilica.
The modest gift shop had the most modestly-priced mementos in the whole city, which is typical of Catholic Church shops. As a result, we spent more than we were inclined to because it felt we were supporting a genuine non-profit cause.
Full disclaimer: my great great great grandmother was baptized in this Basilica in 1831. She was born on a ship coming to Canada from Ireland. They would baptize babies at churches in the first port of call, in that case the Basilica in Québec City.
DEFINITELY will revisit this Basilica when I come back to Québec.

stumbled across this beautiful cathedral in old port quebec city. it is free admission and donation is encouraged at the exit. very pretty and beautiful inside and although i wished there was english translation, i very much enjoyed taking a nice tour of this church

Beautiful cathedral. More expensive than most of the other cathedrals I’ve been to. There was no tour the day we went and just spent time enjoying the details, stain glass and beautiful alter.

Amazing place to visit with beautiful architecture. Be warned, there is construction going on in front of the church but it does not detract from it’s beauty!
Corbin Musselman — Google review
The architecture that make you wonder the limitation of human beings’s creativity and imagination, every single details remind you of the devotion and perfection. And it’s free entry too, there’s small museum on the introduction of the creator of the cathedral.

This is a beautiful church and is located just near Chateau Frontenac. This church is peaceful and serene. The moment you enter you are welcomed by this golden glow structure.
There is no entrance fee. We went here on a weekday and there were only few tourists inside which was a plus point.
Ashwee D — Google review
It's free to enter so no complaints there. We visited around 9am on a Friday morning. Enjoyed the 12 minute film about Francois de Laval. Smaller than the basilica in Montreal but just as ornate

Let me start by saying WOWWWW!
Hands down the best church I have ever been to.
Just gaze and ponder over the marvel, the beauty of this amazing ornate cathedral.
Very peaceful and serene ambience both inside and out. This church built in 1660s is an epitome of the architecture and religious artwork. The carvings, paintings and stained windows are so picturesque and speak for themselves about the history of the church.
No entry fee. If you get a chance then do sit for the prayer. It's very meditative. Amidst its grandeur, you can find a peaceful haven for introspection and connection by sitting through the prayer.
Dipanshu Garg — Google review
Wow... This is beautiful.
This church was built in 1647 and its architecture and artwork are beautiful and mind blowing. The carvings, and stained windows are so detailed, and beautiful.
Entrance is fee.

Indeed a beautiful Holy place. It is a must visit. The only Catholic church in North America to have the Holy Door and it is open only this year 2024.
M G — Google review
Gorgeous cathedral and free to access (unlike Notre Dame in Montreal where there is an entry fee of 18 CAD) with the lines you normally find in more northern European cathedrals as opposed of the Portuguese or some Spanish cathedrals for example.
I liked it's simplicity with only some golden adornments around the altar area besides the usual stained glass typically found here.
Quiet, despite being located in the busy part of the old Quebec town and just beautiful.
EV US — Google review
Beautiful basilica that you must visit if you are in Quebec (even though there are lots of churches in Quebec). This cathedral had significant historical importance and if well worth a visit.
Michael Wu PhD — Google review
This ornate cathedral is a must see in Quebec City. The gold plated statues give one the impression of Christ rising to heaven. Do a self guided tour at the bare minimum, and if you can, sit through a church service to get a true feel for it’s history.

Visit on Sunday December 10,2023. Notre-Dame de Quebec Cathedral Basilica, built in the 1660's is a lovely place to visit and take in the beautiful architectural features and religious artwork. This, the oldest church in Canada, celebrated its 350th anniversary in 2014. Mobility impaired accessible entrance. Check for opening times and avoid any times which may have a service.

I'll never travel to Ottawa without this trip planner again
This vast, star-shaped fortress is home to military memorabilia and artifacts dating back to the 1700s. Visitors can explore the site's attractions, including guided tours and a museum area, as well as regular changing of the guard ceremonies during warmer months.
Had a very good, hour-long tour today, guided by Dominique, in English. He led me around some of the museum exhibits, then out onto the grounds, describing the buildings and relating stories about the 22nd Regiment’s service and members. Saw inside the prison and the chapel and had a wonderful lookout over the old city and river.
Laura Carolina — Google review
Very interesting museum and still an active military establishment. The views are incredible.
Plan ample amounts of time to visit the museum and go all the way to the end to see the medal room. Very impressive.
The tour is pretty fast and the stops in the little sub-museum spaces were a little too fast to get the opportunity to read the signs.
It's located at the top of a rather steep hill. There were steps so I wouldn't recommend going with wheels (although the museum does have ramps) .
Toilets are at the back of the museum.
The little gift shop has Interesting toys and souvenirs.

I went on a quiet sunny weekend in April, the area was clean, free of debris, the walkways and boardwalks well maintained. There were lots of stairs but also lots of opportunities to rest along the way. I suggest bringing a water bottle, I was grateful I remembered mine. I absolutely enjoyed the views, the history and friendly smiles.

A must go if you are in Quebec city. There is a lot of history here. The entrance is hard to find but once you make it in you're transported back in time. The guards and bare skin hats are on century and you can see them fire off a cannon everyday at noon. The museum where you buy tickets gives you a nice background on the citadel but the tour led by wonderful staff is definitely the highlight. Our tour guide was informative and very funny. Make sure you get free tickets to tour the governor general's quarters after your main tour. It is definitely worth going to see. We were lucky enough to only be in a group of three people.

This is one place you should definitely not miss when you're visiting Quebec City. We love history and La Citadelle de Quebec is a full of historical events between France, England, Canada and US. You cannot walk around the citadel without a guide since the fort is still an active military base. Thank you to our tour guide Marcus for the excellent walking tour of the citadel. He was informative and funny. The Royal 22eme Regiment Museum is also worth a visit with their amazing display of collection of the regiment's and the Canadian history, especially through the two world wars and the Korean war. We really enjoyed it very much.

It was a pleasure to listen the guided tour.
And the views from the Citadel are magnificent. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t very supportive, so we spent more time inside the museum.
Will be especially interesting for those who like history and military.

Really cool old fort right in the main tourism hub. You have to pay for the guide because it’s an active military base. Our guilds in English was great! Just about 1 hour in length, if that. Be warned, it’s almost entirely outdoors… if you’re going in winter, dress for it!
Selena Borek — Google review
This historic citadel is still an active military base of the Canadian army. I recommend you book the guided tour in advance before visiting the place. Our tour guide was kind and knowledgeable. Knowing the history of the fortress and how strategically designed the citadel was interesting a lot. There's also a small museum that tells the full history of the fortress next to the ticketing office. The view of Quebec was also amazing!
Junhyun Kim — Google review
We took the guided tour, which is provided both in English and French. Given its an active military base, the entry into the Citadelle is only through guided tour. The place also has free parking spot wherein you can park for max. two hours.
The Citadelle itself is beautiful with history behind it. However, dont expect it to be very rich in history in comparison to the European museums.

Informative tour offered in English and French. We took the tour of the military side, but they do offer a tour covering the government side as well. The docent was well informed and shared a great deal of history with us. A good walking tour of about an hour. After the tour, you can visit the museum and then walk around the outer walls for fabulous views of the river and city.

Neatly maintained and ample parking available. The guided tour was very informative and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in a bit of history. The tour takes about an hour. There is a two hour parking limit so people can take a walk around the areas of the Citadel post guided tour.

Massive place we reached on a very warm September day as we came all the way from the Dufferin terrace, which was at the back of the Citadel (good to know if you want to go straight to the entrance of this place).
The Citadel is packed with history and it reminds me of so many fortified European cities all the way from the Atlantic ocean to the eastern part of the Med.
Lots of info around and inside the place, entrance of around 15 CAD (if I remember correctly), souvenir shop, toilets etc

Very cool historical place that is still the actual military base. We saw musical performances at 10am and had a guided tour on English. At noon, the military fires blank shots from a cannon. They have very nice museum with lots of artifacts from WWI. Also, changing guards is very interesting as well. You will not find anywhere in the world French speaking soldiers in British uniforms, and do not forget the goat.

Amazing... there is interactive games and people are there to answer all your questions and teach you the 40 steps to load that old gun... it so was so fun we have learned a lot... and there is that 4D movie about the war... it was well worth that 15$/person

It was one of the best museums We visited. Although limited or small in size, it offers a great experience. You can touch and interact with most of the things in the museum. There's an Imax style 30-minute video that tells the history of the plains.
On the second floor, there are soldiers' clothes from the 1750s era that you can put on with three accessories.
You can do the full museum in 90 minutes or less, including the video.

Very fun and interactive museum. Great for kids or couples visiting
Andrew Naylor — Google review
Some of the exhibits are geared towards children; others not. The film about the battles provides interesting information, although it runs too long for children’s attention spans. Included in the entry fee is entry to Martello Tower 1, a bit of a walk away from the museum. I found the tower more interesting than the museum. At the tower, you’re given a screen and headphones, which convey the construction of the tower and the life of soldiers posted there.

This was a very interactive museum but is based for younger children. I would highly recommend not visiting this museum considering there are many museums in the area that are better. The facts are based on witnesses, the clothing and other items to see are not from the past but are made today as a representation. The staff was nice but it felt like a complete waste of my time.

The Ice Hotel is an amazing addition to this park and is definitely worth a visit!

Sadly lacking in decent Vegan Vegetarian food options.

It’s a very nice water park with a lot of green areas. The only problem is that during the summer it tends to be crowded and it’s hard to enjoy the water slides. However, it does not spoil the experience. I recommend buying the season pass in case you live in Quebec and surroundings.

An incredible destination to revel in a day filled with snow! Whether with family or friends, the numerous mountains offer thrilling opportunities for slipping. The on-site cafeteria provides basic yet satisfying options like poutine and drinks.
Additionally, there's a spacious dining area where you have the flexibility to bring your own beverages and food, adding a personalized touch to your experience.
The cost, at 63.226 CAN taxes included per person, ensures a reasonable outing.

Quiet and clean - no waiting lines even though it was a rainy day. Surf spot, death drop, wave pool, hot tub…Lots of fun for kids and adults. Lifeguards and staff were great. Walking upstairs to eat your packed lunch was a bit painful though - you have to walk around the lockers and use different doors to go in an out and all in your wet bathing suit. We are a group of 4 and we had good experience in three spots. One is the Tubing, second one is Bora Park - Swimming and Waterpark, Skating & Ice House. Everything is separate and needed to be paid separately.
One each would be around 30-40$.
Tubing is the best out of all, trust me. You have multiple levels out of all Everest and Himalaya were the best.
Go early and spend good quality time! Parking is there. Even on the top of the glides there are washrooms and heater room.

The Sanctuaire Notre-Dame Du Cap is a renowned Catholic pilgrimage site, known for its unique octagonal design and pyramid-shaped dome. This historic church attracts many devotees seeking spiritual solace and connection with their faith. The structure's distinctive architecture sets it apart from other shrines while also serving as a testament to the strength of the Catholic tradition.
Wow. What a beautiful day to visit a beautiful building. Worth the trip to see. Temperature here is colder than in Montréal where we left from. Also windy due to open area.

Very peaceful place to walk, the river view is amazing and the church building is gorgeous. There is a free parking and even nit was a Sunday after Canada's day holiday I could find a spot. There is also a canteen in the main building that you can buy hot meals and coffee. I would definitely recommend a visit.

What an architectural marvel, both interior and exterior! It was 4:40pm when I got there so I didn't get to visit the museum and gift shop, and there was Sunday mass at the time so I didn't fully walk around and explore the interior, but even standing at the back, I was in awe at the interior. Would love to visit again to fully explore the site!

Boréalis is a heritage museum located in Trois Rivieres that focuses on the paper mill industry of the region. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, it has been closed but visitors can still enjoy the surrounding area which includes a beautiful view of the river and an Amphitheater. The museum provides a hands-on paper-making activity and showcases antique equipment highlighting the history of this industry.
Andre-Ann was a joy. She speaks amazing English and explained everything in detail. She made our day. The museum has an english guide book and that made life even better. The museum is well maintained and the restaurant outside has a great atmosphere. Would recommend highly

It was closed due to the Covid 19.
But The place around it was really beautiful. You can see the river from there.
Beside the Borealis there was an Amphitheater.
There was also the big sign board of TROIS RIVIERES.
A lovely place to be and to do the walking.
You have parking also...
A must visit if you visit Trois Rivieres.

Not a big museum but it is fascinating, unique, well laid-out and well worth visiting! The scaled-down paper-making machine is so intricate and a sight to behold, and something that you could rarely see anywhere else (unless you work at such a factory)! The exhibits overall had great and clear explanations, and I learned so much about Trois-Rivières's industrial heritage (it was once the most densely populated city in Québec!). But now, the city's historical importance is not well known, so I would highly recommend visiting the museum.
Some other highlights include the corridor leading out to the rivers, which has a preserved water filtration facility and great views; the underground exhibition area where you could see the water filtration machines and even try your hands on pumping water to filter it; and, of course, the former underground reservoir. It is preserved such that there are still water drops/puddles on the ground, and it was just such a unique experience to walk through it.
I would highly recommend spending a few bucks to buy the booklet "Premier « shift »" at the gift shop. It is bilingual, well made and a perfect souvenir on the bygone CIP (Canadian International Paper) days of the city and a great tribute to the people. Also, admission was free the day I visited; I'm not sure whether that was a one-time offering or a regular occurence. Worth asking about.

We learned a lot about the logging and papermill industry and how it shaped Trois Rivieres. The landscape went from farming to multi-story walk-up apartments. It's a really interesting tour and you have a chance to make paper!

Great museum experience! We took an audio tour in English and it is the perfect balance of information, interaction, and visual exhibits. The architecture of the biding itself is fantastic and the remaining industrial relics are compelling. It is a great hertigage museum which to engage adults in the tour. Wonderful way to spend a couple hours a day well worth the price of admission which was very inexpensive. There are also pic is tables outside and the area is part of a river park.

Vieille prison de Trois-Rivières is a museum that showcases Quebec's culture as well as a historic prison. The museum opened its doors in 2001 and offers tours in both French and English, although it is recommended to inquire beforehand. During the tour, visitors can learn about true stories that occurred within the jail from an experienced guide who possesses vast knowledge on the subject matter. Notably, exploring the prison's "hole" provides a spooky experience for tourists.
Great experience. Tour was really informative. They don't offer bilingual tours (when we were there) but I was able to translate for my family and the infographics on the walls were french and english. Don't forget to check out the museum attached as there's a section dedicated to the prison. Our tour guide was nice, knew lots about the prison. I would recommend this tour.

This is very unique attraction and a must-visit in Trois-Rivières! You could only visit the site on a guided tour, and it's super cool to see the different floors, and even the dungeons in the basement (if you could even call that a basement). Note that most of the tours are in French, and English tours are not always offered - you could check the website for the timing and availability. There were only French tours when I visited so I took that; however, it turned out that the guide we had talked so quickly that I could barely understand him (maybe only 10%). In comparison, I listened to the French audio-guide at the nearby Museé Borealis and I understood about 70%, and there were even a few times on the prison tour when we passed by other groups and the other guides clearly spoke at a slower pace. I asked our guide if he could speak slower and he did for a few sentences before picking up the pace again (I do understand that without conscious effort it is hard to change your speaking speed).
Additionally, our guide spoke as if he were reciting, which felt a bit robotic, and always delivered a long speech at one or two stops per floor before giving us a long-ish time to explore around. It would have been much nicer if he talked like telling us a story, and made more stops in different rooms with shorter explanations each. Overall, I would love to visit again and perhaps try a different guide in French, and I hope the administration would take note of these suggestions.

Went for the English tour and it was really nice. The tour guide spoke English very well and was very animated and answered questions. The prison itself was small however that didn’t take away from the intrigue.
If you’re in the area and have been curious about visiting an abandon prison and learning a little more history, I would start here!

Very interesting tour with a friendly guide. I did it in French but you can ask for English tour at the reception (it's not everyday that you can have in english!! So maybe it's better to get the information before to go).
If you are lucky you can get some true stories that happen in the jail. I feel I little sad but it's interesting to know !

Replica of a Quebec village circa 1810–1930, with many vintage buildings & costumed actors.
Amazing place for everyone that is interested in history. The moment you cross that tunnel to get to the village, you feel like you're in the early 1900. The characters are all playing their roles extremely well, they will interact with you like you were someone coming from the future and they will show and explain to you their way of living. I personally loved it, i learned a lot of things. 👌

I am an Anglophone who speaks French well. Although I didn't understand all the expressions used by that day (ex: by the town cryer, at the x-ray and the "idea inventing" machine) I thoroughly enjoyed the village experience. The villagers stay in character all day (they move around in the village) and they have some adorable story lines (the men who came back from their 10-month logging trip, the pregnant wife who complains about her husband, etc). You begin by entering a time machine tunnel (very effective) and you can spend hours there with family or friends (any age). The experience this year was very different from last year so I don't know if this was a (positive) one time upgrade or if they change the village experience from time to time.

My partner and I were not expecting the long waits in line to get into each of the haunted houses. I feel that they should have a limit of reservations per day, so that people don’t have to wait in line as long. We waited close to an hour for some of them…
Also, we are very disappointed by the fact that we were RUSHED out of the haunted houses, we wanted to take our time and look at all the cool and intricate decorations that they had. Why invest so much time and money into the decor when the visitors don’t even get the chance to PROPERLY look at them?!
Overall, the decor and actors were very good but there’s a lot in terms of the organization that could be better…

Great place to spend time with kids. Mine 9 years old was really impressed and enjoyed the trip. Old style thematic houses are really special, well maintained and acteurs gives pretty interesting explanation what it was for post office, pharmacy, doctor’s office, barber and a lot more. It has a little farm where you could get by horse forced wagon. There is a little train, ice-cream, donuts, bakery with fresh bread. Worth to spend entire day there! We’re definitely coming back there.

Was disappointed that a lot was closed for a Saturday night. The wooded trail was closed and that's a big reason why we paid to go. They could've posted a warning online. Personally for 40$ each person and we didn't get to do everything, not because we didn't have time but due to the fact it was closed because of rain. It's our own choice and money. Being in a haunted village you would expect to trip and fall on a tree root even during rain or shine. Their excuses weren't valid. Especially since they had pretty good warning signs of not being responsible for any injuries mentally and physically. Don't think I'll go back since a lot we wanted to attend was closed or started to close and say goodbye to people at 22:00 instead of 23:30. No warning online about any of the events or trails being closed that night or closing early due to rain. The actors did good I was enjoying the atmosphere but personally the fact I enjoyed the pop up trailer haunted machine more than anything else. To me that's a personal bust. They had so much potential. If maybe more stayed open especially the woods I would've found it more worth the drive as well as the cost for entry but we were very disappointed. We would've changed our tickets for another day if we knew some of the attractions were closed. We showed up at 19:30.

We visited the village during Christmas of 2020. Everything was well organized and Covid restrictions are well respected. We enjoyed seeing the old buildings and the Christmas vibes. Lots of lights and Christmassy music. It is a nice activity but dress appropriately because all the activities are outside.

My girlfriend and I went for Halloween. The organizers should be ashamed of themselves. They overbooked the event. We waited 2 hours for a single haunted house, it was NOT worth it. After the long line I lost all interest and we left. Considering how much they charge and how many people were there, then they should have increased their budget for actors too. Not nearly enough of them going around. Awful event and a huge cash grab.
Tyler Wood — Google review
Compared to last year and the year before last year, it was so boring and exhausting! Some of the houses did not even have something to provide! You just enter from one door and exit from the other one without anything existing!
The had also canceled out some trails in the woods which was so exciting!
The one which starts from the church! Thus time it was only the church and even the subject was not at all exiting!
I WAS THE FAN BEFORE, BUT NOT RECOMMENDING IT ANYMORE!

Popular mountain for skiing offering 141 trails, including numerous lit runs, plus restaurants.
Love this place. It was my first season pass and second time snowboarding ever.
The slopes have a good diversity of complexity from bunny slopes, to green, blue, diamond and double black diamond.
There is an insane amount you can do and see here... Numerous bars and cafes to hangout at and the slopes are variable.
The view from the top is incredible.
Sometimes the lines can get insanely long at night and on weekends. I have waited 30mins to get on a lift a few times... But honestly it is worth the wait.

Went back … nearly 30 years after my last visit. It was my goto place at the beginning of the 90’s for mountain biking.
A bit expensive if you don’t bring your bike and you don’t have a subscription. However, it is worth every penny even if you have to rent a bike (they are quite good btw).
Notes: There are a ton of trails of many level. Be aware that the green trails are not as easy as they seem. The same logic apply to the other levels.
Like the old days, doing 4 to 6 descents per day is propably the maximum if you want play safe.

There are many trails to choose from on the snowy slopes, and there's a restaurant at the summit for a great rest. It's an excellent ski resort, and there are plenty of staff on-site to ask for recommendations on the slopes for the day. 👍👍

Bromont’s winter beauty is the perfect place to enjoy a ski day with friends and family. The
mountain contains many trails suitable from beginners to experts. When you are at the peak of the ski mountain, the view is simply mesmerizing, especially during a sunny winter afternoon. The peak also has a resto/café to keep you warm while you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee or their soup of the day while you get to enjoy yhe view.

Nice ski slope, but crowded. We arrived on Sunday and skied on Monday. The Sun was extremely crowded. The Mon was a 1/2 hour wait for the 9am lift. The snow was deep, well groomed and very nice. They had lift loading attendants so the lift lines were not chaotic and elbowing. There is a lot of housing as condo rentals or hotels, so it is a nice destination slope. I recommend it.

Probably the best mountain that is in close proximity of montreal. There are many trails for all skill levels, and conditions are fairly well maintained. The facilities are also pretty good, there a chalet at the more popular chairlifts, where you can warm up with a quick bite and some hot cocoa or coffee. At the main chalet there is a bar sit down restaurant where you can relax between ski sessions. The staff are relatively friendly and ski patrol is very attentive for everyone safety. My only complaint is the ski lift by P5 connecting the main mountain and P5, there always seems to be issues causing it to stop. Other then that it’s a great place to ski or snowboard.

Storied zoo featuring more than 200 animal species, plus thrill rides & an Amazon-themed water park.
We brought my son here for the first time and he loved seeing all the different animals. The lions, rhinos, giraffes and zebras were his favorite and they were all close enough to the edge of their enclosures that we got a fantastic view. Some of the monkeys seemed to be a bit sick but apart from that the animals looked healthy. There was lots to see and all in all it made for a great afternoon trip.

Price might seem as a little expensive, but if you know that there is a wave pool and tons of free rides, plus 4 continents of exotic animals, it’s pretty incredible that they can keep it at that price!
It takes a full day visit. We visited when the wave pool was not open and arrived at noon. We stayed until 5 and were exhausted (mostly because of heat). So if you arrive at the opening at 10am, at a not too hot day, you should plan for a whole day, from opening to the closing.
Most of the animals seem healthy and well treated. The little ones will learn so much about the animals they saw on TV or Disney movies! Amazed by the muscleman gorillas, by the shear size of the hippopotamus, and the elephants. The animators of the snake, the gorillas and the elephants were super fun for the kids and full of knowledge and they are passionate of sharing their knowledge too!
My son and I had a blast with Lego animal constructions!

This is a fun zoo outside of Montreal. It’s not too big so it’s great for younger kids.
Several of the buildings are not stroller friendly. Most of the Door openers don’t work so you’re awkwardly holding the firing trying to get a stroller in. The cafeteria doesn’t have a stroller or wheel chair entrance.
The nursing room in the cafeteria was also disgusting. Covered in toilet paper And it smelled like someone had peed all over it. There is also only one in the entire zoo.

Visited Granby Zoo last Saturday and despite the crowds, we were pleasantly surprised to find no waiting times. Once inside, the expansive size of the zoo made it feel uncrowded.
The variety of activities available was impressive, with the standout being the captivating shows featuring different animals presented by the zookeepers.
However, there was a slight letdown as a significant number of animals seemed to be asleep and unengaged with visitors, almost as if they were completely hidden from view. Nevertheless, the zoo proved to be an excellent family outing that I wholeheartedly recommend. The food court was efficiently organized, and the pricing appeared reasonable.
Arriving around 10:45 am, I was able to secure a convenient spot in the P1 parking area, which is in close proximity to the main entrance. Additionally, purchasing tickets online in advance streamlined the entry process.

So for a first timer , we heard so many great things about Granby Zoo, and ended up dissapointed in it to say the least. First of all for a family of 4 (youngest is 2 years old) 97 CAD is a lot !!! And an extra 13 CAD to rent the stroller which is in the gift shop (a 1o min walk from the entrance ), and believe me if you have young kids you will need a stroller or carrier because it is a huge place (took us 4 hours and we didnt even visit it all) . Also bring finger food and snacks along, if you are visiting soon, coz only one restaurant was open and his options were limited to fast food.
On the good side ,we got to see lots of animals , they have a paper map you can get on the entrance to help you navigate your way, it had a big variety of animals...
But if you have sensitive nose , some places are extra smelly 😷 so be careful

We had a great time we started with zoo and the rest on the next weekend as we cannot finish all on the same day. It's a bit expensive but if you are planning to go more than 1 time.... then I recommend you to take the summer pass and visit as many times as you want.

First of all if you don't arrive at the parking lot at 10am you may waste an hour waiting to park which is inconvenient, the right turn on red at several intersections here should be eliminated!
It is recommended to stay here for two days, one day to see the animals and one day in the water park, there are many types of animals also you can interact with the animals, for example, spend $3 to feed the parrots. The water park has several programs that are very exciting, especially the barrel slides. The rafting program is very suitable for parents and children to experience, smaller children need to wear life jackets. The bumper cars and carousel at the playground are especially popular with children.

We have been a few times already and this time the animals were more active than usual which was great. The experience, attractions and atmosphere are all really good. Don't miss feeding the birds early or petting the manatees, both at the Oceana section.
The bathrooms and facilities were pretty clean and easily accessible no matter where you are.
My only "complaint" is that the price has risen by 20$ per person since the last time we came 2 years ago so that shocked us a bit but the exhibits and the work they do at Granby would justify it somewhat.
They have a new area in the Asia section under construction so we are looking forward to that next year.

I’ve been to a couple zoos in China and then I went to Granby “zoo”… this was a joke… most areas with the larger animals would have one or max 2 animals that usually didn’t have any energy and were far away. There were only two positive things I could think of. One it was not crowded but there wasn’t much to see anyways. Two the kids enjoyed staying in the water areas more than seeing the animals. I later brought them to a real water park to have more fun. Save your time money and energy from going here and choose another activity.

Fantastic zoo to visit... We went there about ten years ago and loved it. At the time we spent part of the day in the zoo and part of it in the water park. We decided to return and take our visiting relatives along, and despite the hot weather, we truly enjoyed the visit. Some of the animals were too hot and hiding, however we go close and personal with the Siberian Tiger and other animals. One particular experience was being able to touch and caress the stingrays, riding the camel and horse and pony (kids). The layout and map were not easy to read, but generally speaking, the flow is easy and will allow you to see the various sections of the zoo. You can bring your own food and I suggest bringing along a rolling cart (or you can rent one there for about $13). There are restaurants everywhere and ice cream shops as well. The staff is fantastic and very helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend this zoo for a family outing or visit.

My favorite zoo, super well done for family with young kids, also has waterpark and rides. My only complaint is it's pricey (ticket from 3+ years old) and the park opens only from 10am to 7pm in summer. It's impossible to do everything in one day and parking is not big enough to accommodate on busy weekends. A travel back in time ...
Old school general store ... A great choices of natural (vegan)soaps , shaving cream, wool blankets, mitts, hats, old school candies: Bazooka Joe bubble gum, Pop rocks etc ... There is also a beautiful outdoor lunch area for a pick-nick .

Very interesting, historical store and integrated museum. They are unable to serve meals during Covid but there are ample picnic tables outside.

Contemporary venue for local & international performances & visual arts programming.
Small and cozy theatre. I enjoyer a lot seeing the April Wine concert here. Chairs are confortable and spacious.

The Damn Truth rocked the house down as usually!!

The theater is very well design. Visibility and acoustics are superior and there is good spacing between rows. Restrooms are wide and clean and staff is polite and helpful. However, one point that made my experience less enjoyable is the fact that they started allowing drinks into the theater, a decision that translates into frequent spills when people put their glasses on the floor. It is very desagreable when your sit is over an sticky or wet floor. When the spilled liquid is beer, then the smell becomes extremely unpleasant during the whole show. I hope they will reconsider this unfortunate decision that significantly reduces the quality of the place, taking it to the level of a cinema theater.

Awesome place for concerts! Brigitte from the ticket box office was professional, friendly and very resourceful. She answered all of our questions for an upcoming concert next year. She is definitely an important asset to the staff of Centre des arts Juliette-Lassonde.

The friendliest staff out of all the wineries we’ve tried. The guy that took us on tour and wine tasting was so patient to explain everything so detailedly. We were lucky that it’s early in the year that there wasn’t so many visitors so we could ask all the questions we want. Honestly learnt so much from the guy! Highly recommended!

We wasted too much time here waiting for our food
*edit*
So when this review was posted keep in mind that we had been biking for a couple hours and our original lunch spot closed early for a "special event" during a long weekend. We were recommended to stop here. This vineyard is not set up to prepare food for a lot people. They had one small oven for a decently sized patio. The employees were working hard to keep up with the demand of a long weekend crowd, we were the tail end (near 2pm), and I cannot fault them. This will likely be an issue everywhere in the area, especially with nice weather...

I had big expectations for this place because of their pizza and wine concept but was disappointed. Maybe it’s only because of the COVID situation but it felt very much like a fast food joint more than winery experience. We were asked to choose our pizza, paid for it and wait for our number to be called. Pizza was served in a box, no utensils or plates. We could to eat our pizza and savory our wine in the back in the vines where they had some tables and chairs. The pizza was good and so was the wine but it could be better organized. A few parasols could be helpful given our unpredictable weather in Quebec.

As I'm drinking my Saint-Pepin, I remember when we visited on May 4th 2019, late afternoon, that I haven't written yet the review of my experience. They get 3 stars for their products alone, it is good but they lose 2 stars for using the same glass, unrinsed, between tasting of wines that have nothing in common, and serving an open bottle with cork bits in the wine. I know their reds but I wanted to try some of their whites. I'm happy with what I left with but really was disappointed when they didn't have water when I ask for some just to rinse my palette and that, I know for a fact that the red wine served after the white I tasted was changed because of the leftover. No apologies for the cork bits, the young woman even told me that I didn't need to have a clean glass for the red in the first. She was friendly and courteous but something was really off. Overall, I was disappointed of finally visited this place after knowing and working with their wines.

Lovely little vineyard. We really enjoyed our tasting of their full line of products, complete with a training on how to taste wine, a visit to the cellar, and a peek into the production process. Staff were so nice and approachable, even towards novices. Not to be missed!

This place would have been better if they didn't try to serve food. Their tiny pizza oven holds maybe 4 pizzas, which isn't very efficient when there are dozens of orders. We waited over an hour for food that was still partially frozen when served to us.

Wine is good. Haven't not in my taste range though. Good wine but not something out of the ordinary.
But the pizza... Oh god! Get a pizza and a glass of wine. Won't be disappointed.

The wine is nothing exceptional, and the pizza.. we waited over 30 minutes for them and please don’t get the margarita waste of money, the other are okay but very expensive for what you get.
