One of the most beautiful places to see in Spain, we had a tour guide and we ate a lovely restaurant overlooking the town, taking in the sun and view. The architecture was breathtaking and the history was rich. We found out there is a hotel part of the palace you could actually stay at, the next time we are in Spain we will have to do that. Simply amazing.
Danielle Buhrfiend — Google review
Beautiful in every area you walk. Shows how the Muslims architecture was there most advanced at the time. Detailed writings carved beautifully throughout the palace. The gardens were amazing to walk through and the fountains were very nice with water running through the marble floors which was like cooled floors! I would go there again and I'm sure to see new things.
Sherif Labib — Google review
Truly beautiful with water gardens, fountains, courtyards, mosaics and stunning architecture. Incredibly well preserved and accessible albeit located on a hill so quite physically challenging for those with disabilities. parking is locally available and close to the site and the guided tours are well worth considering as there is so much history. Takes a minimum of 3-4 hours to enjoy fully so plan a full day and enjoy some lunch break in-between. Mid summer can be very hot and there is limited shade so be sure to use sunblock and consider taking a parasol.
amir khan — Google review
Not only is this one of the most beautiful human made structures I have ever seen. It is also a remarkable heritage that holds century old stories through several civilizations. I personally loved the architectural richness and the visual representations representations and ancient (sacred geometry like) patterns sculpted in the walls.
Book your tickets in advance for a chance to visit this place that is just out of this world! It may feel a bit busy in some areas, so if you don’t like crowds, try to go early in the morning.
Monica Randriamialy — Google review
I'm surprised that anyone would have anything negative to say about this place. Yes, you have to reserve your tickets ahead of time and yes they will check your ticket at several checkpoints throughout the visit, but this place is absolutely MAJESTIC. It is one of the most beautiful displays of art and architecture I have ever seen. The structure and art are pristinely kept and the visit is very organized. I recommend reading about it before your visit you can truly understand the value of this building and everything about it. Rich in history, rich in details, rich in everything. Don't miss it. Reserve your tickets at least one month in advance, but you can do it way ahead of that. What a beautiful experience!
Adriana Perez — Google review
We booked our tickets 3 months in advance as the visits are limited, and only visits with a tour guide are allowed. It's a fascinating, magical place, full of history, considered one of the most famous monuments of Islamic architecture and one of the best-preserved palaces in the historic Islamic world, in addition to containing notable examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture. It’s good to see but does it worth all the trouble to get in, I’m not sure. Our tour guide was funny and enthusiastic, yet he persisted in naming it the most beautiful spot on earth, revealing at the end that he didn't see elsewhere.
Matthieu ALHURAISH — Google review
A Place Of Pure History It's Like Going Back In Time. You Need A Good Entire Day To Do All The Palaces. Highly Recommended To Do All Of The Palaces. Buy tickets in advance also don't forget you must bring your passport as evidence to get in.
Michael Ireland — Google review
This place is magical! I had been there a couple times and it is breathtaking. Seriously, you can't get enough of it. I strongly recommended walking up to it and back down to and from downtown Granada through the national park between the Alhambra and the town, such a beautiful hike!
Rick Gura — Google review
Great experience. Plan on at least three hours here. There are many things to see and experience. The general life gardens were our favorite. We came in March, it was cold but we still enjoyed it.
Christopher Acarregui — Google review
Awesome place and definitely the place to go in your visit to Granada. Don’t do like me and get the tickets in advance with a minimum of one month at least. You can be there more than 2 hours for sure. Try to avoid heat hours in summer.

C. Real de la Alhambra, s/n, Centro, 18009 Granada, Spain
The Generalife is a beautiful and historic palace complex located in the Alhambra Park in Granada, Spain. The gardens and structures of the Generalife are an exquisite oasis in the summertime, and are popular with tourists. One of the main attractions of the Generalife gardens is their beautiful pools, courtyards, and flowerbeds.
Generalife is a very beautifully designed and well maintained garden. You can see the ingenuity of the gardeners from the combination of various tall trees, bushes and flowers, among the fountains, ponds and small yards. Although it is always flooded with tourists and it can be really difficult to take good pictures, still it’s very worth the visit.
Sherry Zhang — Google review
Immense. I have no idea why the place I’d named Generalife. Sounds like a crackpot pill being sold my a Trump pilot fish on Fox News in America. I think it refers to the grounds of Alhambra. I enjoyed the grounds more than the castles and museums. I spend summers riding through Europe on motorcycles and I’ve overdosed on castles and museums. I love the traveling and the natural beauty. The grounds are pretty nice. Formal. It would be nicer if they would identify the more spectacular plantings. In Spanish, English, and the proper botanical Latin.
When I see places like this I become uncomfortably and acutely aware that all great empires were built on slave labor. It all winds up in and as museums.
Robert Lee — Google review
Nice gardens but it is too crowded to enjoy, even with drizzle on the day packed with people trying to all get the same picture and just standing still in entrance ways to get their pictures. Least favourite part of the Alhambra.
J. M. Posma — Google review
This shouldn't be missed if you are visiting the Alhambra in Granada! This gorgeous buildimg and gardens are a perfect destination to learn about the Islamic past of southern Spain. If you can visit in the spring, the gardens are spectacular!
Rebecca LeDoux — Google review
Light and airy and sitting on top of a hill, this beautiful palace has some of the most memorable gardens that I've seen anywhere. Elegantly understated, with simple but gorgeous water fountains and water running literally all over the place, this summer palace overlooks the older palaces of Alhambra, the Albaicin neighborhood and the valley beyond. The perspectives are to die for. No matter in which direction you look, there will be an infinite number of beautiful shots waiting for you. While the Nasrid Palaces will impress you with architecture, this palace's gardens are its main attraction. Choose a beautiful sunny day. Try to get there early in the morning - it opens at 8:30 - to avoid the huge crowds, especially during the summer.
Georges Younes — Google review
Free entrance, I recommend going there separate from Alhambra or after all palaces with the paid entrance.
In March there weren't too many plants so as a garden it wasn't impressive. It does have a few nice views over the city but I'm glad I didn't have to pay for entrance, expected much more from it.
Natalia Li — Google review
IMPORTANT: There are quite a few checks for passport and your ticket in this area. Make sure to bring these with you or else they’ll deny you entrance. Would highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance.
A beautiful garden amongst the old fortresses and walls. I would advise to visit these areas in the earlier parts of the day, ideally before noon as that’s when the rush begins to settle in. I had a great time with my family and this part of the tour took about an hour to complete with lots of photography spots along the way.

Part of the Alhambra Palace tour taking in breathtaking gardens and the summer Palace. Magnificent.

Gorgeous grounds to walk through, so peaceful. Beautiful views!

Generalife was my favorite place. Absolutely stunning, it is a beautiful symphony of nature and ancient architecture.
The Sinagoga del Agua, a 14th-century Jewish synagogue, has been unearthed in a real estate project. The property developer intended to build apartments but instead discovered the archaeological remains of the synagogue and rabbis house. Original masonry was used whenever possible for the sensitive re-creation of this fascinating historical site, which features a women's gallery, bodega with giant storage vessels and miqve (ritual bath).
Fascinating to learn about the history of this place! A true gem.
Gitty Rosenberg — Google review
Beautiful place, Isabel our guide was great and went out of her comfort to support non Spanish speakers at the tour.
Fabiana Oliveira — Google review
Fascinating place, you have to visit it as part of a tour (in Spanish) but there are guides in English
Nick Slocombe — Google review
Wow!! A magical place, full of history. A must-see in Úbeda. I could have done the tour twice. The guide explained the history and told us the stories of this place in a really interesting way. Highly recommend!!
Rachel D — Google review
This is a fascinating place to visit. Previously hidden synagogue and small houses discovered during building works and restored as well as they could. The guides are very friendly and informative. We have been twice and the option of an English explanation has never been mentioned but obviously that doesn't mean they don't do it! We are fine with Spanish but it may not suit some foreign visitors. Well worth visiting.
Marion Green — Google review
Amazing space and story! Well worth it and affordable
Sandi Sullivan -Varga — Google review
Interesting guided visit for €5 of a fairly recently rediscovered medieval synagogue, or so it is believed. Developers of three adjacent buildings in 2006 found a basement with huge earthenware vases half sunk into the ground, all covered in sand and debris. Further excavations revealed a number of wells in adjacent cellars that were full of rubble, and a perfectly preserved large rectangular ceremonial bath down seven steps, all carved out of solid rock inside what must have been a prehistoric cave created by underground streams. Also a number of arches, columns and architectural features including a double prayer gallery as used by women in synagogues, above a central space that would have been used by men. Archaeologists concluded that during medieval and renaissance times this building had indeed been used as a clandestine synagogue during periods when the Jewish faith was persecuted in Spain.

Fascinating history of the serendipitous discovery of a synagogue and mikva in Úbeda, Spain
Jim Sears — Google review
Stupid that it costs you more to order the tickets online than at the door. And no effort is done by the cassièrre / guide to speak anything else than Spanish. The French and English texts don't explain a lot, are quiet rubbish. The whole visit is done very speedy, you are not allowed to take your time to admire anything. Definitely, in those circumstances, not worth the money.
Robert-Jan Engelbrecht — Google review
Most disappointed. We paid our entry fee. No audio guide. There was a spanish tour starting. We were obliged to join it. We were then told we could not proceed ahead of the tour, which was in spanish only, and taking 15-20 minutes per room. We left. We asked for our entry fee back. After consultation with the tour guide, this request was granted!!!! So we wasted 45 minutes and saw the 1st room only.
What a ridiculous bunch of clowns!
Gary Duffy — Google review
Very unusual , unique well preserved . Historically very interesting of Jewish community. Good guided information .
luc de block — Google review
Refused us entry because we were one minute late.Hugely disappointing! Must admit we do not have great admiration for those in charge. We are from the states and returning to this area would be an extremely remote possibility.
Located in Almería, the Conjunto Monumental de la Alcazaba de Almería is an archaeological museum that features impressive structures and gardens from the 12th to 16th centuries. The fortress is a great place to visit with its protective stone walls and exhibits on history.
Magnificent castle, beautifully preserved, with lovely gardens and fountains. It offers spectacular views on the city and the port. There are some wending machines inside the castle with beverages, snacks and coffee to freshen up, and also public toilets. I definitely recommend the visit (you'll spend there a couple of hours). The entrance was free of charge.
Predrag Petrovic — Google review
Fantastic travel to the past of the Muslim architecture in Spain. There is a great. Work in progress to bring this fortress and palace to its original splendor. Free entrance. Great for kids
Joaquin Ramirez — Google review
A must see place when you visit Almería. Located just 10 minutes walk away from downtown, this is a beautiful fortress to visit. There has been a lot of work to recover the structure and gardens and once again you can experience its greatness. The flow of water throughout the property is impressive as well as its impressive views of the city. The entrance is free but my suggestion is to charge for it to maintain both the Alcazaba and San Cristobal.
Fabian Novoa — Google review
Beautiful, didn’t expect such a monumental views but exceeded the expectations. Great place to have photo shoots and even movies if you can take permission. Can see the Spanish architecture clearly. Lot of greenery restoration is happening as well- must visit if you’re in Almería
Nikhil Reddy — Google review
Very much worth a visit. Its free and all you do is say how many in the group and what country you're from.
They could easily charge and it be worth a visit! It's very interesting and offers lovely views of Almeria.
There are buses that service the foot of it if you don't fancy the hike up the hill towards the entrance! Taxis are an option too
Simon Ross — Google review
Nice and well maintained fortress. Open from the morning until 9 pm in the off-season months. Free entry. Some small expositions in one part of the castle. Vending machines with snacks and toilets. Beautiful views of the whole Almería city.
Anezka P — Google review
Free entrance. Super well kept and lovely garden... Not too much to see but very pretty :)
Barbara Petreti — Google review
Great castle with free entry and continuous improvements and absolutely fabulous views so why only 4 stars?
There are no refreshment areas, just a small room with self service machines and one set of toilets. It desperately needs more refreshment areas which surely would be a valuable source of income?
There was a gift shop but that was closed and litter bins are a rarity. Some of the information boards have English translation but but all so a few more boards translated would be great.
However overall a great day just carry plenty of water.
Ian Sawyer — Google review
Castle in the process of being restored. Magnificent building but some steep climbs involved. When work completed, should be unmissable but well worth a visit now. And free to enter!
Raymond Ashcroft — Google review
It has an amazing view over the city, and it is very interesting inside, very well preserved, and also very informative. Moreover, it is free, so it makes for a nice walk.
Ana Rodrigues — Google review
A nice historical and architectural tourist place to visit in Almeria.
Interesting views for the town, port and gardens (at my pic)
No access for wheelchairs and baby carriage, there are stairs!
You can leave the baby carriage at the information point.
No need to book a ticket, it's free!!!
Marta Medovová — Google review
A fascinating old building with great views over Almeria. We spent about two hours wandering around the alcazaba and the other buildings on site. We didn’t take a guided tour but that is possible if that’s what you prefer. We were lucky with the weather and got some good photos of the building and over Almeria.
CHARLES ARNESTAD — Google review
Fantastic museum attraction showcasing a beautiful 10th century Arabic fortress that also has the benefit of being free! It’s a huge complex with beautiful views of the city, gorgeous gardens and fountains and lots of detailed archeological exhibits throughout. As a fun bonus, there are a bunch of cats that live at the Alcazaba, most of which are very friendly! I was only about to spend about an hour there, but I could have easily stayed way longer!
As a warning, this may not be the best attraction of you have mobility issues, and pathway up to the Alcazaba, as well as many of the internal staircases and walkways, are pretty steep and uneven - as is the case with most 10th century stone masonry. Skip the flip flops and wear sneakers/walking shoes for maximum enjoyment.
Mini Hollywood is a theme park that re-creates the American Wild West, offering cowboy stunt shows, museums, a pool and zoo. Visitors are urged to experience this unique place at least once. It boasts plenty of restrooms for convenience and features amazing animal exhibits including snakes in the reptile house. The views from the top are stunning and you can also catch a train ride for added adventure.
Amazing experience! 🤩 We spent 6 hours here and we definitely could have more if it wasn’t such a hot day. 🥵
We absolutely loved the western set 🤠, we dressed up and took some pictures, saw the shows. We bought the tickets with lunch included and that was good too. Great variety.
The zoo is massive, more than double the size of the western set. Lots of animals, birds, reptiles. There is a bird show with parrots 🦜
A full day without lots of things to do. 100% recommend! 💯
No?mi J?nv?ri — Google review
You need to go at least once!
There is no other place like it.
We live within 45 minutes so we have an annual pass, our children are 7&6 and still enjoy it everytime.
As a parent it's reassuring to know there are plenty of bathrooms.
The cowboy show might be violent for some people's taste. The show in the saloon is loud especially when they shoot the guns.
Don't forget the reptile house, the snakes are awesome.
The animals are worth seeing, go all the way to the top, the views are stunning. Or catch the train.
Keep in mind that it's a lot of walking, this isn't ideal for older people or people unable to walk long distances.
Peace Bailey — Google review
A fun day out but it could be so much more. We watched two shows which were entertaining. The buffet was good for vegetarians as there was quite a bit of choice.
The museum exhibit was interesting and informative. We were here in November and it was 21⁰C which was a perfect temperature and it wasn't too crowded.
We didn't like the zoo as the enclosures were small and the animals looked sad.
If it was just Mini Hollywood I would have given it a higher score
Emma Cameron — Google review
Fantastic place to visit. Watching the Western show, Can Can dancers and Cow girls. The town was interesting to walk. Only part that let it down was the zoo. Looking at the big cats and some other animals was upsetting as some of them living in the heat they do with no clean water to drink and the Tiger being a Siberian in nearly 40 degree temperatures looked ill along with others. Pay more attention to the animals as its cruel.
Rich Lount — Google review
Have always wanted to go with my family, after 7 long years we finally arrive here, from the moment we arrived with helpful & polite staff to the amazing things to see & do, we even had the all you can eat buffet, I highly recommend, its definitely worth the money. Amazing animals to see too. You just need to wear comfortable footwear as there is alot of walking involved. We can't wait to visit again. Thank you so much 😊
Kimbolio C — Google review
Great experience here. The set is so fun to walk around, very cheesy and perfect to mirror the spaghetti westerns. Great shows and staff. Good value for the money, and if you park across the road in the dirt lot it's free.
The zoo was quite good, *most of the animals had decent enclosures. The rattlesnakes were not well looked-after and their enclosures were very dirty. They really need to hire or train a venomous snake handler to improve the conditions. I would've liked to see an informative exhibit on the Good, the Bad and the Ugly since it was filmed here as well.
Serenity Joy — Google review
If you like this review give it a 👍
Nice theme park. It feels like you're visiting the wild, wild west. Not just because of the Western town but also because of the surrounded area. It's for a good reason the used this area, in the past, to shoot Western movies. It's fun to walk around and experience how an old western town would have been. There's a show (2 times a day) which is worthwhile to see.
The animal park is of nice size. Although to my opinion keeping wild animals in cages is something of the past, it's worth while walking around.
The Cactus garden is a little limited.
L&R D — Google review
We drove past this park when we arrived in Spain and it was high on my husband's to-do list, so we took the 1 hour drive from where we were staying and arrived just after opening time.
We booked our parking and entry tickets in advance and were able to park under cover and walked in easily with no wait.
I'd definitely recommend arriving early as it's that but quieter (and cooler!) So you can get some great photos and enjoy the different buildings.
We watched the 12pm and 5pm main shows outside plus the cowgirl show in the saloon.
Everyone gets to the shows very early, so you need to do so too, if you want a good view. There are staff in full western gear all over the park and happy to have photos with you.
We had the buffet which was very busy, but offered a lot of variety. Everyone was queuing in the sun for the 1pm opening which was a bit uncomfortable, but when we were in it was very fast to get seated. Add this to your pre-booked tickets - it's quicker and cheaper too!
The zoo area seemed unnecessary to us and the animals in the big cat enclosures were clearly very hot and enclosures were too small, so we decided to give the rest of the zoo a miss - we didn't feel that the park, or our day out, really needed any more than the wild west area anyway.
We all had a great day (family with 11 year old) and would recommend it to people visiting the area.
Kirsty Wood — Google review
Great place to visit as there is a lot to do including the Western town, animal park and water park. There are shows daily in the town both inside and out, get to the 'square' early to pick a good vantage point. The buffet lunch is excellent but will cost more, (the park doesn't allow you to take in food or drink). There are many refreshment points around which is a necessity when visiting in the summer. If you arrive before opening you will have to queue unless you buy tickets in advance, but if you arrive about an hour later there is usually no queue at all. Shows are in Spanish but this is not a problem, as it is quite obvious as to what is happening. Prices in the saloon and cafes are reasonable. The water park is small but popular with Spanish families. Plan for spending the whole day here.

Visited here on 24 December 2023 after we left Fort Bravo just down the road. This place is more Hollywood style with professional looking actors, but we preferred the Fort Bravo cowboys. The cowboy show was a bit distant to difficult to see clearly what was going on. Great show nevertheless. The can can show not really our taste but the saloon was staffed by wonderful ladies who made great effort to please. The zoo has a great location in the hills making it feel like being in the Savannah. The parrot show was entertaining and the grounds lovely although some of the animals (wild boar) didn't look too content.
Meera Lynn — Google review
We went in April 2022 which was perfect as temperatures were in the mid 20s and not too busy. Really enjoyed the day, well worth the visit and with the zoo it makes a full day out.

If you're anywhere even remotely nearby, you must visit this place - such an unforgettable day! The scenery alone was jawdropping, and the actors and shows were just a step above. A really fantastic experience!!
Catherine Channon — Google review
Oasys Mini Hollywood is great value just for the experience of being on the set of the Spaghetti Westerns and the shows that they put on there. When you realise that they also have a Zoo/Animal Park there and that the prices for food and drink are really reasonable for such an attraction (€4 for an ice cold pint of lager and €2.70 for an Iced Tea), you won't be disappointed that you ventured out into the Spanish Desert! Well worth a visit for all ages... I'd take my kids and my parents next time! 👌🏼🤠👢

So fun! So realistic. Beautifully set up. Also the zoo and the swimming area were beautiful. Yes, the animal living areas can definately be bigger. With all the land around it, this must be an option, right? Though I think, if I read it well, they will be working on that in 2024. :-)
Our son of 5, and we had a lovely day!
Chantal Roodveldt — Google review
Our 3rd visit in 20 years.
There have been some noticeable changes over the years, with more still planned for the coming years.
The park was very busy considering it was out of peak season. We were there from 10:45am until 4:30pm.
Wild West show was awesome as ever, easily understandable no matter which language you speak.
The zoo is always improving, Animals look great, although the animal section is up and down hills, which can be tiring.
The bird show seemed short and a little lack luster, but the weather did turn very windy by 3pm, which is not ideal for flying birds.
CanCan girls were not traditional like in the movies, but a more modern cowgirl approach, which was well presented.
Tickets are a little cheaper if brought online in advance, like most places, but you still have to que up with walk-up customers to collect tickets. There should be different systems in place for online and walk-ups.

A great way to spend the day.
Make sure you see earlier show if you want to visit the zoo!
Snacks and drinks can be bought inside.
No need to book for the lunch option.

Not a minute was wasted here. Great show outside and on stage, ladies and gentlemen performing, great applause! The realism of the place is perfect, hence hundreds of films directed here. The whole thing, together with the vehicle museum, the zoo, the desert that perfectly matches the scenery and all the buildings, create a fantastic atmosphere that you won't find anywhere in Europe!

It's been a while since I've been bug ug was fantastic. As well as bejnv a mush for spaghetti western fans, the zoo is great. It's a really nice day out, and I can't recommend it enough for a great service experience.

Really enjoyed our day. Watched the gunfight , drank in the saloon to watch the cancan girls. Found the cinematic museum fascinating. And enjoyed walking around the animals. The large pool at the back of the animal area looked great, - we just didn't have time to take a dip. Loved it .

Great experience! We took our kids age ranges 2 to 6 and they loved it too. The western area and show was so well done and the zoo is very well maintained

Carretera Nacional 340A, km 464, 04200 Tabernas, Almería, Spain
Located in the southeastern region of Andalucia, Parque Natural del Cabo de Gata-Níjar covers an area of 340 square kilometers and offers a diverse range of natural beauty. The park features stunning beaches, steep cliffs, and semi-desert areas that are home to a variety of plants and animals adapted to its arid environment. Additionally, visitors can explore the intriguing history of mining through abandoned mines and peculiar rock formations scattered throughout the landscape.
I just love this area. So much to see, both inland and by the coast.
Colin Elliott — Google review
This would be a stunningly beautiful place, if only it wasn't strewn throughout with litter, disused building and packaging materials, and huge amounts of plastic from the ubiquitous poly tunnels that seem to cover most of this area (yes, even in this "natural" park). It's truly awful. And shameful that the local government hasn't seen fit to get it cleaned up or maintained in any way.
Ligia Kasanin — Google review
Beautiful, natural surroundings. Fabulous beaches. We'll worth a visit. And great tapas in the not to far away service stations 👍🏼

Amazing beaches with crystal clear water. Mostly enjoyed by locals! Just know that there is time slot to enter the car park. Outside of these slots, you will have no access but you will be asked to park at the 1st car park until the relevant time slot!

If you are looking for calm and peace, this is the place. Very steep shelf into water so watch the kids but it makes for a great swim. Lots water sports too. Amazing food at the chiringuito right on the beach..good quality and good value. Worth a drive. X

Avoid the infamous sea of plastic in the middle and stick to the coastal roads only. Some of the best beaches are n the world, the prettiest fishing villages in Spain and Europe's warmest, driest winter make this unmissable if you find the right places.Aquaamarga,Las Negras,Rodalqyilar and San Jose are all worth a visit and can be viewed in one day if touring not staying. However I recommend staying, especially if it's winter.
The Playa de los Muertos is a beautiful and secluded pebble beach that can be reached via a challenging hiking path. Located in the Almeria region of Andalucia, this 1km-long stretch of idyllic shoreline was named after shipwrecked men who washed up on its shores. Though it's not a touristy spot, this picturesque beach is certainly worth visiting for those looking for an authentic experience.
Fabulous beach 🏖 worth to go
The access to it could be somehow difficult for elderly or disabled (stepped, rocky, quite steep at times)
Michal Magyar — Google review
This beach is one that you need to literally walk down the side of a steep hill to get to. The walk down is a bit dangerous if you are not wearing proper shoes. I wasn't warned about this and so I was in flip flops, needless to say, I slipped and fell over. Now, that said, this beach is well worth the walk because it is amazing. I've never been on a beach like this! Amazing water where beautifully colored fish come right up to you!! You can walk along the beautiful white sand and also little caves where you can take some refuge from the sun if you need to. No wheelchairs or baby carriages. Pack your beach needs wisely. Returning back up if you forget something would be trying. I will definitely return to this beach the next time I'm in Almería!

One of the most beautiful beaches ... unfortunately its almost always wavy and its not possible for not professional swimmer to swim... but its really amazing to spend the time watching the amazing waves while lyong down on the small stony beach... walking from the parking around 15-20 minutes... snorkeling would be amazing here on the extreme right sode near the big rocks... a lot of amazing things to see, if u go deep u might even see octopus 🐙

Amazing beach. Worth visiting. Be prepared for some hiking, so sneakers are mandatory. Carry some food and water and don't forget an umbrella. There is a parking next to the entrance that costs 5euros, I think but when we went there it was closed. So I don't really know if it's free or not.
Teatro Romano de Cartagena is an ancient Roman amphitheater that has been restored and turned into a museum displaying artifacts found by archaeologists. Visitors can enjoy walking through the amphitheater, taking in the views from the top, and exploring the surrounding hilltop area. Tickets can be purchased from various locations including the boat travel ticket box on the front of the marina at reasonable prices to avoid waiting in queues for entry.
Interesting trip through the museum, but the real attraction is walking through the amphitheatre, up to the top, and taking in the views.
I would also recommend taking a left turn out of the exit, up the steps and heading right up to the very top of the hill (where the tall metal spikes can be seen). Had we not done so we would have missed out on some great sights and amazing views of the whole city!
Worth also mentioning that we got our tickets from the boat travel ticket box on the front of the marina and found the prices very reasonable. I'm not sure if the price was different from buying at the museum, but it meant we did not have to queue to get in, which is worth it for that alone.
Phil Dunn — Google review
Only 5 euros each and 2ell worth a visit. There is an informative museum piece and a small complimentary guide. the amphitheatre is very well presented and restored. You also get access to the gardens above which lead up to a castle and museum with videos etc. the castle is 3.5 euros (April 2022)

Just amazing only discovered in 1990 after being built over . Go through the museum to enter, this also well worth it. Very quiet when we visited on a winter week day. Highly recommended. Mind you the whole city of Cartagena is wonderful. Lots to do and see. Great history.
Malcolm Thomas — Google review
The museum is well set out and surprisingly spacious after entering the Tardis like small entrance. Spread over various floors but with escalators it easy to navigate. Some good exhibits highlight the importance of Cartagena as a port in Roman times. The teatro Romano itself is well worth seeing for it's overall effect. Of course it has been heavily restored after having been built on for generations. It is not always easy to see what is original and what isn't, although there are some maps that try to help. But well worth a visit.
Peter Clark — Google review
Stunning restored amphitheater with additional info on other finds and the surrounding dig area. Beware it can get crowded due to large group tours. You can peer over the edge for free at the street above, but access is not expensive and worth seeing up close if you’re interested.

Well worth a visit if in the area.
I took my 3 year old free entrance for him €5 for me.
By the way I see people confused on entry point of Teatro, it’s right facing the Ayuntamiento building on the Main Street.
There is levels to this place with various Artifacts on display all very interesting.
Escalators take you up to the mid level of Teatro.
Views are absolutely phenomenal, the place is immaculate and been kept very very well, you can almost feel the atmosphere from years gone by in here.
Brilliant day enjoined every minute I will be back again.

A return visit to this epically beautiful place. This is part original and part restored and its obvious where restoration has taken place but its been done so well. The grandness of the place, the beauty and history is wonderful. The museum before you get to the actual theatre is so informative as you find out the various iterations of function of this place. We will come back again!

This place is well worth a visit. Cheap entry fee that you don't have to pre book. When we went it was very quiet so you can get great photos without crowds in them. The main building is cool with great AC so you can wander around and read the history in comfort. Outside however is a different story. It was 40c when we went and we couldn't stay too long as it was horrendously hot. I highly recommend a visit to this historic place if you are in the area.

Palacio Pascual del Riquelme, Pl. Ayuntamiento, 9, 30202 Cartagena, Murcia, Spain
The Catedral de Murcia, a Roman Catholic church located in Plaza del Cardenal Belluga in the heart of the city, is a renowned example of Spanish Gothic architecture. Construction began in the 14th century and lasted two centuries with several changes made to its original sketch. The building was consecrated in 1467 and has since undergone expansions, repairs, and new chapels. The ornate Baroque facade contrasts with the mainly Gothic-style interior.
Loved this cathedral and Murcia in general. Really interesting mix of architectural styles and wonderful artwork. You could spend hours just wandering and examining each hidden gem.

Wow don't miss the cathedral so much to see there and take time to absorb the atmosphere. Beautiful windows.
Denis Parker — Google review
Very beautiful indeed! The statues have intricate carving with immense detail. The side has several restaurants and the front has a large courtyard with more restaurants.
Tarang Srivastava — Google review
Built between 1394-1465. The heart and the entrails of the king Alfonso X the Wise are buried under the main altar.
The bell tower stands 300+ feet tall - the tallest in Spain.
Look for the Chapel of the Apes (the Velez Chapel) - a great example of Flaming Gothic style.
On the outside there is a huge stone chain that runs along the chapel: I had only seen another example of this (although a belt rather than chain) in one of Portuguese convents.

We visited Murcia Cathedral at the weekend, our first visit to the city. There is plenty of parking and the underground car park is about 5 minutes walk from the cathedral. The building is magnificent and is covered in wonderful medieval stonework. It is a mix of styles with the tower being a far newer eighteenth century baroque construction and the main building is fourteenth century gothic.
The interior is vast and has the usual mix of wonderful carvings with very gaudy decoration in red and gold. We didn't spend as long as we'd have liked inside as it was a Sunday and we didn't want to intrude but it is certainly somewhere we'll return to.

It doesn’t really look like a cathedral inside. More like scenes of Saints and lots of Jesus figures and paint. Very much Jesus oriented. I missed history context. There is mentions of Saints and personalities, but not history or further explanation of who they were.

The Faro Cabo de Palos port authority is located on a cliff in the province of Cádiz, just beside the bay of La Manga. The lighthouse features a large pedestal and can be seen 24 miles away. Beautiful scenery and great area to go for a walk are some of the reasons why this port authority is well-loved by visitors. The area around it also has a kiosk, with great staff and toilets, which makes it perfect for an enjoyable visit.

Nice views and nice lighthouse with interesting history. If you don't speak Spanish you will miss most of it though. Half way up the lighthouse, the guide said they had some leaflet in English for my partner but it was never materialised. The visit started 10 minutes late due to the previous group running behind, but there was nobody to tell you or any waiting area, just a laminated note outside the closed doors of the lighthouse to say you had to wait there for your guide. There are many stairs and it is quite steep that some people will struggle with so, it would be good for the organisation to advertise it better or include some kind of warning to avoid nasty surprises or disappointment.

Beautiful lighthouse on a cliff just beside a bay. You can catch a nice view on the La Manga strip from this cliff. But if you want a lighthouse tour, be careful of its visiting hours and the tours need to be previously scheduled. If you plan to visit the strip, this is a nice stop.

Zenia Boulevard is a sprawling outdoor shopping center in Orihuela Costa, boasting over 100 national Spanish and international brands. The mall features an American-style layout with an Italian-style Piazza at its center. It's not just a shopping destination; the venue hosts live music performances and events throughout the year, offering daily entertainment for children during the summer months. Additionally, it houses a bowling alley, video arcade, play fountains in the main square, and a massive Alcampo supermarket.
So many shops.... Decent Al Campo Supermarket....... Decent food places........ I love going there!

Great place for a day out. Great shopping, great kids park on second level, take socks for kids if going in play frame as they need them. you can pay for socks but plan ahead. you can't really leave them in the in summer as it gets too hot and you need to get them water but they will love it. The central square has water fountains that kids love and go into in swimwear. surrounded by cafes so you can cool down with a drink while the kids cool down in the water. Food options are plentiful get there early for lunch for the all you can eat options. great value but very busy. kids love those as they can go up multiple times and try everything. Overall, a great place to spend a day.

Overall it's a good shopping center, 15 minutes drive from Torrevieja Centro so not bad located. Lots of shops to sarisfy most tastes I'd say and also quite diverse food options too which I love haha.
Just like the Habaneras shopping center, when is windy or the weather is not great it's not s pleasent experience to go around and shop or enjoy having a coffee on of the teraces since the shop is completly open.
Other than that a good experience coming here a couple of times per week.

I paid €2.70 and had my 4 year old in a pushchair so didn't need to pay separately for her which was awesome. It is all very accessible and the staff very helpful. The toilets were very clean too.
My 4 year old loved the section on evil toys.
It is so worth the visit especially as it is free

We climbed up at 10 am. It was about a 15-20-minute walk, 170 m high up. Even then, it was already hot but still manageable. At 10.30 there was a guided tour in English, it was worth taking the tour. Only 3 of us took part in the tour, which was 1 hour long and free. Then, we walked around and took some photos. It was a nice way to find out more about the history of Alicante.

"Visiting Castle Santa Barbara in Alicante was an unforgettable experience! The panoramic views of Alicante and even glimpses of Benidorm from the top were absolutely breathtaking.
Ascending to the castle offers not just a historical journey but also a visual feast, with every step revealing more of the stunning landscape below. From the Mediterranean Sea stretching out to the horizon to the charming rooftops of Alicante's old town, every angle offers a new perspective.
The castle itself is steeped in history, and exploring its ancient walls and towers adds an extra layer of fascination to the visit. Whether you're a history buff or simply seeking a scenic spot to soak in the beauty of the region, Castle Santa Barbara is a must-visit destination."

Lift is open. €2.70 to go up. FREE to come down. We walked up and got the lift down.
FREE to walk around the castle with stunning views and cute little cafés.

Great experience , you can use the lift from seaside to get in but the best option for active peoples is to get there on your own .
Great place to visit. Nice views amd snack bar . Entrance is free.

To be honest I went up for the view and it didn’t disappoint me. If you’re in Alicante it a must visit. Pro tip, go there late afternoon to avoid the big queues for the lift.

At this place elevator is located. It costs 2.7 euro to use it both sides up and down. It's quite useful because you can also go on foot but it's exhausting. The place is absolutely amazing! The best views you can find in Alicante. No lines in the Morning but when I was going back in about 12am there were a huge line to get upstairs.
Mikhail Naskalau — Google review
It's great that this lift exists. Without that we would be unable to go to the castle as we were with two little kids. The drawback is that there is only one lift and the trip takes a while so there are queues. Beside that it's great.
Nevertheless if you can I would suggest you going by foot as it seemed like a nice trip with nice views and surroundings.
Rafa? Pydyniak — Google review
The castle lift is great, as are the staff. However, there are no leaflets giving the history of the castle, but there are a few plaques here and there. It seems that the views from the castle are the main feature. They are stunning. There are no facilities for those with limited mobility once you leave the lift. I still take all my visitors here tho.

We walked through Alicante and entered via a steep walkway at the rear of castle (main entrance is opposite beach via a lift and tunnel) that had some houses with pretty garden pot arrangements, walk was fairly difficult but views are good, good castle to walk & on our visit food and other stalls with some street entertainment,
toilets and a lovely viewing cafe.

Explored this enchanting castle with a fantastic view – a visual treat! However, disappointed as the website claimed it's free, yet an unexpected fee was charged. Despite the queue, the beauty of the castle made it a worthwhile visit.

This is a very interesting place, saturated with the history that goes back almost 2000 years. Besides the place will give you one of the kinds of views on the city and surrounding area. Absolutely breathtaking view. The only downside is that you might stay in line for the elevator on top and back if the place gets too crowded
Alex Serebrov — Google review
Really big castle on a high cliff. You can hike up or take the elevator from the beach (2.7€ per person - can pay with card). The castle visit is free and gives very nice viewpoints.
craziyass — Google review
Absolutely stunning views all round from the top of the castle, stacks to see round the castle also. wheelchair access may be limited as there are some very steep places to walk.lots of places to get food and drink and there are toilet facilities scattered around..you can walk up the steps or take the lift up..the photo I put on with the blue lights on the ceiling is the tunnel you walk through from main road to the lift..

Lift to the Castle. Free for over 65s! No queue in December. Great Castle with audio-visual history of Alicante. Great views of surrounding mountains.

The best thing the city could have created 😄 an elevator takes you straight up to the fortress and down. During the day huge lines and it's quite hot up there. I would recommend to come around 6 pm - almost no line and enough time to explore everything.
Yulia Zinchyk — Google review
Horrible experience. It was a weekend in May, so not even high season, and there were only perhaps 20m of line to the elevator in the tunnel. Yet, due to a slow, tiny elevator (maybe 6 people + operator max) it took us almost 45min to get up. The walk alone to the end of the dark-ish tunnel (probably 300m or more) already made me wish I would've just walked up.
There's no kinds of regulations for entry and I saw some with huge luggages (taking the space of 1 person) or children's cart (2-3 persons). Couldn't these be left down for the time of the visit? This also a security issue.
Note that it's not free, but 2,7€. Card is accepted, not sure of cash. There are two machines to buy tickets with, but there's only one person who will "sell" you the ticket using it - so basically only one is in use at the time.
Overall, I recommend everyone physically capable to just walk up instead of wasting your time waiting for the elevator. Most of us could use the exercise, too.

A fantastic castle with a gorgeous view of Alicante. There is an elevator, however we made the choice to walk up and enjoy the scenery as we went. There isn't a ton of educational posts but this feels like a real working castle and not a museum.

This beach was amazing! There's not a lot of waves, practically no seaweed, and the jellyfish are harmless. Got to pick up some of them... very goowy 😅 There's water to rinse your feet at every station and bathrooms at station 7.

Levante beach is a public beach located in the heart of Benidorm. It has wide sands, plenty of sun loungers and facilities such as showers and volleyball nets. It's one of the busiest beaches in Benidorm, especially during the summer months.
Absolutely beautiful beach to visit on your holiday to Benidorm. There are always activities going on during the summer time that anyone is able to take part in. There is also plenty of space if you would prefer a more quiet and relaxed area.
The beach is filled with beautiful views and I was very surprise with how clean the beach was. There was no rubbish at all on the beach when we went to visit. There is food and drink always near by. All the pubs and bars seem to be family friendly along the beach so I believe it would be a nice location for families too.
We often found ourselves walking along the beach front in the afternoon to watch the sunset. It is very beautiful during this time. At night the strip is light up and so are the bars, but there is no lights on the beach and the sea are becomes extremely dark so be careful with any children.

Levante Beach is a standout in Benidorm with its lovely sandy shores. We hired beach chairs for £6 per day, which was a great deal, and spent several delightful days here. The kids absolutely adored it, making it a perfect spot for families.
Our beach days were complemented with refreshing drinks at Heartbreak Rock Bar and 7 Seas Pub, and delicious ice cream from Pinocchio Playa. The staff at these places were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
If you're in Benidorm, I highly recommend Levante Beach for a day (or more) of sun and fun, and don't forget to visit these fantastic nearby spots for great service and treats.

El Castell de Guadalest, also known as Guadalest, is a picturesque Valencian town nestled in the mountainous region of Marina Baixa, Alicante, Spain. Visitors can explore charming bars and restaurants as well as a diverse array of museums.
Mundomar is a multi-animal park located in Benidorm, Spain. It offers visitors the chance to get up close and personal with dolphins, sea lions, parrots and other exotic creatures. Many of the shows are performed by the animals themselves, including dancing dolphins and pirates. There's also an area where children can become keepers for a day.
What a day! We went for the VIP ticket and there was only 2 of us on the tour! We learnt so much from Victor our guide and how the animals are cared for. The park is amazing and what they are doing for conservation is outstanding. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and knowledgeable. The icing on the cake was getting to touch the Dolphins and to go into the lemur enclosure and have them sit on your shoulder. AMAZING! So worth the price and the park has amazing views. We will be back for sure!

I came here 18 years ago, I have photos of me with seals and dolphins so I took my family here in 2022. They enjoyed it, we watched the seal/sea lion show and the dolphins. Enjoyed it all even if most of it was in Spanish. Well worth a visit especially their top dolphin breeding program.

Would highly recommend a visit if you're in Benidorm :)

What a lovely place to visit ,,we saw the dolphin show which was brilliant .
All the animals look healthy and well looked after .
A little bit hilly upto the top of the park ,but not too bad.
Only negative was the cheese burger ,which was tasteless and bland .still tasting it hours after consuming it ,so suppose you get your moneys worth.
Overall excellent day out and good price if you go to round the town travel .

We loved it so much!!! It feels animals are well cared for and have sufficient space. And the guides are outstanding, we had Victor to walk us through the park, and he was brilliant sharing all interesting facts about each animal. Meeting Black and white Madagascar lemurs and feeding birds was experience to treasure for long! Thank you Victor, you made our visit to MundoMar a very special one:)

What an amazing place, we booked the V.I.P package for €59 each and was not disappointed when we arrived we were all given our own Mundomar bag and t-shirt and introduced to our tour guide we had Carla who did an amazing job showing us around and teaching us about the animals. Also included in the V.I.P package was meet and greet with the Sea lions, Dolphins and Birds, but much more than we had photos with the giant tortoises, fed the Lorikeets and Lemurs which was amazing. The tour also provides free drinks and food so well worth the money. The views overlooking Benidorm from outside the restaurant are breathtaking. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff are all very friendly. This is must do day whenever you visit Benidorm we loved it.
Andy Wigley — Google review
It's a great experience and the dolphin show is amazing. I would recommend not taking pictures with lemurs or any other animal, as it will cost you 8€ and you will get a very poor-quality picture. This is because the staff doesn't take more than 2 seconds to take a picture. It's rushed and very obvious that it's just a way to make money off the tourists.
Tina Puc — Google review
We loved the sealion and dolphin shows. The sea lions come right up close to you and you can have pics taken and if you like buy them at the end. A small play area for little ones to play. Beautiful views from the top and a gift shop. We stayed 3hrs and that was enough to see it all. Overall my kids loved it.

Amazing Day Out. We went for the VIP experience with guide Vincent and was fantastic. We managed to learn so much about the animals, have unique experiences within the cages and have photos alongside dolphins, sea lions and parrots. They even provided a drink and some sweet and savoury snacks. Plus stayed in the park 30 minutes after closing. They really do care about the animals and is well worth the price.

Fantastic experience for young to old. The VIP experience is well worth it, including a free t-shirt and bag. The photographs and hands-on moments with the dolphins, sea lions, birds and black and white lemurs will be something to remember for life.

An amazing place to visit for the day , plenty to see and walk around. The shows have Spanish, then English speech so if you are here on holiday , you'll know what's going on . Staff are so friendly and understanding (my daughter is autistic and broke a bone in her foot just before we came out so is in a boot and a crutch) 100% recommended booking online , you can do same day booking !

My husband and i had a very good time here! It was a really nice stroll and we got the chance to admire a few species of birds and mammals. There was also a dolphins show which we enjoyed in particular.
We bought the tickets form the ticket booth but they would have been 20 euros cheaper had we purchased them online. However, we received coupons with a discount for Aqualandia, which was nice.
We got there by car but visitors can reach Mundomar by taxi or bus as well, so this is an easily accessible location.
We were able to admire fish, apes, parrots, penguins, seals, flamingos, dolphins, ducks, lemurs and a few other species i can’t remember right now.
Also, the view from the top is fantastic!
I recommend this place to families with children, couples and groups of friends. This is an activity that people all ages can enjoy. And i would also recommend purchasing tickets in advance, as they are much cheaper that the ones purchased from the booth.

The Valencia Bioparc is a modern naturalistic zoo in Spain that boasts an array of African animals such as lions, gorillas, and giraffes. The park's focus on education and conservation sets it apart. The innovative landscaping creates the illusion of free-roaming animals without visible fences segregating their habitats. Madagascar is particularly magical with lemurs cavorting around waterfalls among lush vegetation.
Very nice experience! Animals looking good and healthy. The installation are very clean and well kept. A lot of freedom for the animals. We liked the fact that different species are together kept as in their natural environment (co-living). Happy to visit again. Entrance price is in good relation. You can see that they take really good care of the animals ans the park. Enhorabuena, Team Bioparc!

We liked the park because of the beautiful surroundings and everything is nicely put together. They have a lot of beautiful animals which you can see from quite small distance. We didn't like the price regarding the size of the park. It's actually quite small, was expecting a larger park... you can't bring some sort of food with you, which they don't have written on their site so don't bring many snacks with you, fruits are allowed. In general it's a lovely zoo but there are a lot more beautiful and larger round the Europe...

Bioparc Valencia is a fantastic zoo that is sure to please visitors of all ages. The zoo is well-maintained and organized, with informative signage and exhibits that teach visitors about the animals. The animals are well-cared for and seem to be happy in their enclosures. The setting of the zoo is also beautiful, with lush vegetation and ponds. I would highly recommend Bioparc Valencia to anyone visiting Valencia.
Pros:
- Well-maintained and organized zoo
- Large collection of African fauna
- Informative signage and exhibits
- Educational and entertaining for all ages
- Beautiful setting
Cons:
- Can be crowded during peak season
- Some exhibits could be larger
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Bioparc Valencia and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Valencia!

Very nice place to spend a day, very clean and well maintained. The animals are well-cared and have spacious enclosures, a lot of clean ponds and spraying water during the day.
Even in hot summer day, there was so much shade it was actually comfortable.
Food is expensive and not very good quality, but you do not visit Bioparc for the restaurant.

Bioparc was beautiful and very well designed. We enjoyed seeing the animals from different viewpoints. Eating lunch outside where we could see giraffes, lions and other animals was a great experience. Your food choices were amazing. It wasn’t “junk” food. We enjoyed Bioparc more than we have enjoyed zoos in the United States. The admission prices are fair and well worth the visit. Thank you.

I honestly loved this place. The enclosures are fantastic as different species live amongst each other. The animals looked relaxed and happy too which I find the most important factor. Plenty of drink vending machines and toilets dotted around the place.
Maria Nagli? — Google review
One of the nicest zoos I've visited. The enclosures are built in such a way as to feel as natural as possible to both visitors and the animals of the park. You will hardly see any fences or cages, it all feels a lot more natural. The theme is Africa and there are only African animals in the park. The highlight has to be the fact that you can enter the lemur enclosure and have them running around you and up in the trees above you.
Emil Oprisa — Google review
Beautiful place, the Bioparc Valencia it is known for its unique design that aims to recreate and preserve natural habitats for animals. .
The zoo focuses on African wildlife and providing its animals with spacious enclosures that resemble their natural habitats as closely as possible. This allows visitors to observe the animals in environments that are more similar to the wild, promoting both their well-being and education about their natural behavior.
If you have an interest in wildlife and conservation, it is definitely worth a visit. Kids will love the place.

I've been to many zoos and this is among the best. Focused only on African species, they combine several different animals in the same exhibit. For example rhinos and zebras or giraffes and impala. there is a great flow to the design and you usually have different viewpoints of the animal areas. not a traditional cage anywhere. highly recommended.

Awesome park. Very pleasant place to spend time, especially with children. Very comfort spaces for animals, big, spacious, a lot of clean ponds and spraying water during the day, there is almost none quilty feeling on visiting zoo. A really great animal park - clean and animal friendly. The enclosures blend in with nature, there are no cages.
Visitors really enjoy this place! Suitable for visiting with small children.
Animals can be viewed from many angles. Their activities can also be observed in their private places - caves.
Many food places that allow you to enjoy this pleasant park longer.
What is very important for families with children - there are toilets everywhere.
Some birds are "free range" (see picture!)

The kid-friendly atmosphere here is remarkable. My children were captivated by the diverse array of animals and enjoyed every moment exploring the park. The interactive exhibits and educational programs kept them engaged and entertained throughout our visit.
Overall, Bioparc offers a perfect blend of entertainment, education, and environmental consciousness. A must-visit for families and nature enthusiasts alike!

Amazing place with various animals (yes it is not a typical zoo) - the animations are very educational (some of them are only in Spanish) and the visiting path is well designed, no need to look at the map all the time as there is only one main path. The animals are in quite good condition. The dauphin animation starts with a quiz (6 questions) to select a winner to have the opportunity to be interact with the dauphin which is a great idea! However the animation itself is a little bit “messy” as all dauphins are doing different activities on the same time.. the buffer restaurant has a great view on the giraffes and lions.
Highly recommend to buy the tickets online in advance which saves time and money (slightly cheaper than buying on site)

However, we hoped to see more species of animals such as snakes and others!

Truly amazing place. It's designed in a way that allowes you easily navigate to see everything without getting lost or using the map, although the map is available.
You can spend there 2h but I'd recommend spending at least 5-6h. Personally I saw the whole park and after that I attended every event possible.
Activities like live exhibition or meeting with keepers are enjoyable even if you don't speak Spanish.
You can get a ticket online, including the meal which is a bit cheaper than buying it on site. Nevertheless it's not expensive either way.
Bioparc is located 10-15 minutes on foot from metro.
I should add that the whole place is so adorable, I'd go there even without any animals inside.

The Central Market of Valencia, Spain is a massive and beautiful market filled with fresh produce, spices, and specialty ingredients from all over the country. It's one of the largest markets in Europe and is also home to a Michelin starred chef who prepares bites at Central Bar. There are many stalls selling unique items from all over Spain, making it the perfect place to buy souvenirs or find regional dishes to cook at home.
Very lively place with tons of great spots for food, souvenirs and several other items. I particularly enjoyed the variety of typical foods, Spanish hams, cheeses and the ambience of the market. It is surrounded by restaurants and shops so it makes for a very nice area of the city.

A unique market experience and must-see for tourists! While you might not be able to purchase many of the items, there are still fresh juices, drinks, snacks, and other take-home items. The freshness of every market item is unlike anything I’ve seen in the states!

The market is a dream come true for any foodie. We visited twice while in Valencia and got to try a lot of stuff. The produce is all fresh and the prices are absolutely fine. There are also bathrooms right by one of the main entrances.
I'd appreciate at least a small corner to eat the food you purchase there. There's plenty of outside seating by one of the side entrances, but no shadow.

This market is incredible! It's probably the best indoor market I've ever visited.
I'm almost lost for words.
The building itself is beautiful, but it's the amazing amount of authentic working stalls inside that has to be seen to be believed.
The choice of fresh seafood, vegetables, cheeses, meats, sweets, the list goes on, will take your breath away.
The fact that this market serves the local community rather than pandering to the hoards of tourists adds greatly to its charm.
Not to be missed.

The Central Market is one of the iconic places in Valencia. The architecture of the building itself, specially built for market trade, is noteworthy. But the most interesting thing is inside. There are fruit and vegetable rows and butcher shops with such a variety of jamon! Fish ruins are easy to find by their specific smell. But this is not the smell of a week’s catch, but a mixture of aromas of the freshest fish, octopus, cuttlefish and many more unknown sea creatures. Here you can wander around just like that, watching with interest the interactions between sellers and buyers, plunging into truly Spanish everyday life.

Fantastic place. First of all, the building is phenomenal, well maintained and beautifully decorated. The market has something for everyone, lots of seafood, different fruits and vegetables. Of course, there is also the famous prosciutto, which you must try. You haven't had breakfast, everything is waiting for you here 🙂🙂🙂

Very nice covered market in a very nice building!😍 If you are in Valencia you should definitely see it. Fresh meat, fish, vegetables, herbs, etc. A feast for the eyes. You can also enjoy coffee / tea / wine etc at the bar in the Mercado. Super friendly people, we will definitely come again. Love it!❤️Until next time😃

Wow, what an unbelievable site. There are so many vendors, fresh foods and delicious treats all over this place. There are a few things to know before coming here.. Some of the vendors only accept cash, they do not allow you to TOUCH the fruit unless you are purchasing it, it says it closes at 3:00 but everything shuts down at 2:00pm. On the back there is a nice bar with a long wait to sit at where you can grab coffee or a drink. It is crowded with locals and travelers. Go early on if you want a more upbeat relaxed experience because if you go towards closing there is a rushed feel. Next to the bar is a key copying place & a place to fix leather. This market is worth checking out!

A must visit for tourists and locals. One of the oldest markets in Europe that has been renovated and it shows; the architecture is beautiful and looks really clean for a market - so be sure to look up at the building as it can be missed with the other eye catching produce on offer.
There can be an overwhelming amount of stalls to choose from and the market is huge, so give yourself ample amount of time to explore. There are plenty of cultural foods and drinks all at very good prices - there is bound to be something you will like.
Minor issue is there is not much place to sit in so be prepared to either eat outside or standing up. Also there is a small fee for the toilet use.

Notice the parrot symbol all over the place, including the old parrot structure on top of the dome of the entire building. This bird is emblematic of the market being the place for news of town gossip! This symbol has existed since the central market has existed!
Numerous fruit stands, delis, butchers, artisan products and etcetera. Also has a few restaurants to eat in while you are shopping. You will see that even locals shop for their greens and fruits here.
I would recommend getting a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or a quick cafe cortado before walking around this massive commercial areas, which used to be the center of town.
If wanting solid photos with less people in the vicinity, I would recommend coming right before siesta hours so that the place is semi-empty!

Amazing! Very hot and crowded -so maybe go early?
Food was so fresh and was a great experience! Fruit, food, meats, a bar, desserts... Make sure to get the avocado toast in the back! Salads made fresh and such friendly service!!

Beautiful market, full of fresh produce, food and souvenirs. Make sure you try a few pots while walking around admiring the architecture.
I was disappointed it was closed on a Sunday as I wanted more time there, but I'm glad I got the chance to see it regardless!

Nice place to visit to grab some snacks and taste some of the localities.
There you can buy veggies, fresh and cured meats, cheeses, oils and amazing seafood and even some jewelry.
The Pescados stand was amazing, there you can get some fresh Unis ( sea urchin) and oysters 🦪 by peace and try right there with lemon. That was so yummy!
We tried cheese and sausages too.
As well as some really nice olive oils.
Amazing place to check out if you’re a foodie and you can get some gifts too!

The Central Market of Valencia is one of the oldest markets still in use in Europe and has been declared a ''Heritage of Cultural Interest'' site by the Spanish Ministry of Culture. After about ten years of work it was inaugurated in the course of 1928 and decades later, in 2010, it was completely renovated. It's a popular spot among tourists as well as locals, as it’s the perfect location to immerse yourself in the heart of local culture and to get lost in its numerous aisles filled with local products.

Central Market Valencia is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves fresh, local food and an authentic shopping experience. The market is a bustling hub of activity where vendors offer an incredible variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, spices, and baked goods. The quality of the products is outstanding and the vendors are friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to offer tips and advice on preparing and cooking their products.
The market is also a feast for the eyes, with colourful displays of fresh produce and beautiful architecture that captures the essence of Valencia's history and culture. The market is conveniently located in the heart of the city and is easily accessible by public transportation or on foot.
Overall, Central Market Valencia is a wonderful place to experience the local food culture and indulge in some delicious, fresh, and healthy ingredients for your meals. Highly recommended!

This place was very nice! We got this delicious candied orange there and fresh fruits and smoothies. You can’t get lunch there but tons of places to get snacks. Tons of restaurants around the outside though. The setup was just beautiful though. Definitely worth checking out!

Fascinating old market building with all variety of foods on offer. Very Spanish and a treat to see all of the fresh produce. Worth going when there is some hustle and bustle around the middle of the day. It opens from 7:30am to 3:00pm so don’t make the mistake of trying to visit in the evening!

This is a beautiful traditional Spanish market with great architecture both inside and outside. You can find pretty much anything there including turon, sweets, chocolates, exotic fruits. It is also a great place to eat small tapas for lunch.

The biggest and most popular market in Valencia. We visited on two separate days to be able to see every shop. Multitude of options from trinkets and souvenirs to butchers and food stalls. If you’re a tourist looking to buy souvenirs to bring back home, this market is your one-stop shop.

This should be your number 1 place to visit whilst in Valencia if your a foodie like myself. It is simply stunning with a vast array of different shops and little restaurants inside. We spent a couple of hours here but could have stayed longer as it was so much fun. Free to enter and free to see all the beautiful types of foods from this area.

The Central Market in Valencia is great. It is in a very good location with lots on offer nearby, bars/ tapas/ street food, seating options a plenty.
the street area around the market has lots to see with a number of vintage and artistic stalls. The indoor area is foodie heaven! With lots of local delights . And beyond that, lots of windy lanes to explore.

It’s the place to be when you want to buy fresh vegetables and all other ingredients. We saw a lot of things. If you just ho to the Central Market you can find all the ingredient to make a whatever dish you want to cook.
We bought delicious Turron here to eat. Our first time. The atmosphere is good. The market is clean and hygienic. Even the fish and meat area are clean.

Beautiful old local market. Go early! Everything is closing down by 2pm (14:00).
Great option for small bites, local specialties and local meat and seafood. If you’re a fan, look for the local fish mongers with fresh oysters 🦪 and uni/urchin,…or look for a favorite cured meat, paella, or seasonal fruit, all of which you can enjoy on the spot.
For fresh food, be prepared with cash. Some vendors only accept cash, others only cash for small purchases, and most did not want to accept the Mercat certificados (cash coupons) that say you can spend them on market purchases. Most vendors told me they wouldn’t accept the certificates at all, or they were only for parking but not purchases.

The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is an extremely impressive state-of-the-art science complex set within a landscaped park with a huge aquarium & IMAX screen. The architect Santiago Calatrava is largely responsible for the stunning architecture, which has been met with mixed reactions from Valencians. It's well worth visiting for the beauty and scale of the buildings, as well as the variety of exhibits on offer.
Amazing place. One of my favorite spots and definitely a must visit if you are in Valencia. The complex was designed by Santiago Calatrava and the architecture is just amazing. It includes different buildings, each one really beautiful and overall is a great place for pictures and for taking a walk.
I bought a ticket that included visits to the science museum, a movie and the aquarium. I do not think the entrance to all of these it's worth it, but you can try, specially if you come with children.
Andr?s Zamudio — Google review
I provide the review for the complex only.. as we did not have time to go inside the premises.
To be honest, the architectural designs are extremely amazing. I cannot describe how it really impressed me. You can see from the pictures and video. The best is to experience the complex in the afternoon and enjoying the sunset to take pictures.
We love the water entertainment too.
Definitely in love with this place in addition to the paellas 🥳

Much fun for kids and grown ups. The science museum is one of the most interactive ones I've been to.
The aquarium was well maintained, even though a bit expensive.
Took us the good part of a whole day to cover both, ideally they should be done one a day. Buy your tickets in advance for sure, even for weekdays.

Special place, different and a must visit if you are in Valencia. Well served by means of transport and 10 minutes from the center. Futuristic structure, you can visit the botanical garden. the science museum, the innovation pavilion and what is on offer in the period you are in. Unfortunately, we came across a short period of exhibition and we still appreciated the architecture, the beautiful swimming pool with the equipment that you can rent. A moment of relaxation. You can also rent bicycles to go to the park next door or visit the exhibition space which is very large.

Amazing place. Even if you don't visit any of the buildings there, its still a great place to just take a walk and enjoy the amazing architecture. You can take a boat ride, grab a quick drink or sandwich at the small food stand. There is a small park there where you can sit on the grass and admire the view.
I visited l'oceanográfico, it was nice. The kids would enjoy it the most, I think. It takes about 2-3 hours to fully enjoy it, and taking your time at each room.

If you like Architecture, photography, and wandering around in warm weather then this is probably the place for you. The architecture is amazing and provides countless photo opportunities. The only downside was that when I visited (mid June 2023) there was a stage built by the science building that obscured many views and I understood it was there all summer as they had a number of concerts planned in the space. Also, at night it appeared that a lot of the lights went off at 10pm, and only the opera building seemed to leave the lights on later.
Michael Sutherland — Google review
The architecture is incredible. Each of the structures has distinctive features but maintains the space age style of the site.
You can buy a range of entrance tickets depending on which attractions you wish to visit, the oceanographic being the most expensive.
Also, it's only possible to enter the Opera House as part of a guided tour at set times.
If you feel adventurous, you can hire a board or boat and shoot around the lake for a while.
Each place is fascinating and worth a visit. You can also go in and out of the Science Museum as many times as you please during the day.

Absolutely loved this place as the glass and skeleton like architecture goes so well with the water surrounding the buildings. The buildings and gardens are maintained well and they are very clean. We happened to visit when there was a Christmas market which was lovely as they had a variety of food stalls and gift shops. We didn’t enter any of the buildings but a walk around here and the park is a great way to spend the day!

Amazing place. It looks like it’s from the future and I love it. You need to spend a full day there to really enjoy. I spent most of the time in the museum of Science and I loved the concept. There was a section for history of music, for the earth and mars and also different experiments you could try about a lot of scientific subjects. It is very educational and fund for children and people of all ages. I had fun.

These amazing futuristic buildings in Valencia are a must see. We visited on a cruise and the shuttle bus dropped up in the town centre where there are plenty of historic buildings to view. But I wanted to see the HEMISFERIC structure and other "star trek style futuristic buildings" and WOW WOW WOW. Thanks to Google maps and a cheap local bus ride to get us there.
glyn moore (ytgvmtv) — Google review
The low rating is specifically for the science museum. I paid €9 and it was a total waste of money. The building itself is incredible, but you can see it for free from the outside. The exhibits inside are 90% Spanish with no translations. Everything felt disorganized which was a shame given how much space they had to work with. This could’ve been an amazing place to visit, but save your money and just walk through the lobby and visit the outside areas.

The Oceanographic aquarium in Valencia is the largest of its kind in Europe and contains nearly 500 different species of marine life. The building owes its impressive concrete roofing to the architect Felix Candela, who designed it as a magical space of water and wildlife. Visitors are able to explore different sections of the aquarium over the course of four hours, and it is definitely worth reserving time in your itinerary in Valencia to visit!
This is one of the best attractions in Valencia. Some people in their reviews say you will be done in an hour and a half but we spend over 2 hours and we enjoyed every minute. We spend so much time watching each of the animals, they were all so amazing to see. The dolphin show is around 10 am or 11 so get there early as the seats fill up fast. Some of the best parts were the sea lions, the flamingos, and the most unique part was the tunnel where you walk underneath stingrays, manta rays, sharks, jellyfish. You can see their features up close it's amazing.

Amazing. A must see even if you don't have children. We had an absolute ball here. The day was a long one so be prepared to eat on site to make sure you get to see every attraction. Very worth the price and long day. The children and the grandparents loved it.

We have purchased tickets in advance, but can be purchased at spot. Plenty of parking, daily rate was 7 euro, with additional ticket taken in shops. A lot of connecting buildings, map can be taken at info point. Kids loved it, plenty to see and experience. We stayed about 6 hours and were able to see everything (about 8k steps :))

I visited L'Oceanogràfic on a rainy day in Valencia, and it turned out to be the perfect indoor activity. The aquarium is massive and incredibly well-maintained. The sea life creatures appear happy and healthy, making it a truly enjoyable experience. It was a fantastic decision for a rainy day outing.
The location is awesome, the parking is quite convenient.
I’d recommend to book the tickets in advance. This place can get quite busy on weekends and holidays.

I think it is a bit expensive for what you can see in the aquarium. Some animals, like the penguins were kept in a very small space and the dolphin show was a bit uncomfortable to watch, there are like 18 of them in a pool that is not big enough for them to swim and more so being so many of them being kept there...
I liked the layout, that you can be outside from one part of the Aquarium to another, but for that money I was expecting the animals to be in bigger and better places, sort of like the aquarium in Lisbon.
Also most of the vending machines were broken and it was very difficult to get a drink.
But overall it was good, especially the tunnel where you could enjoy seeing a great variety of sea life swimming around!
Memi GM — Google review
So much more than an aquarium. We spent hours there and didn't get to see it all. The kids had a great time hoping from one creature exhibit to the next. The animals all seem to be top priority and well cared for. So many different animals to see and very up close.
Tye dolphin show was a clear favourite. Lots of fun and amazing tricks. Make sure you arrive early because there is limited seating.

The place in total was really cool, and we had great experiences there. They had everything from tropical fish, to birds to penguins! They also had a dolphin show, which happens every few hours, and that was white cool also, and they also translated everything. Which was good. It does take a long time to visit everything, and I would say you need at least 5 hours to visit everything. The tickets were quite expensive, as for everything, we ended up paying 170€ for 4 adults and 1 child. The food there was also very good, however it was slightly expensive too. Overall, the place was really cool, and I would recommend. But beware, we went here even when it wasn't the crowded season, and it was still pretty full, so you might want to buy tickets earlier, depending on what time of year you want to go.

A magnificent aquarium. You can spend almost a full day in it. An aquarium that hosts animals that you may not see in your life. It is very pleasant to walk in. Every detail is very well thought out. You can also coincide with events inside. There was an event with dolphins. Although I was against the use of animals in these events for commercial reasons, it was a good event. I felt sorry for the small area reserved for penguins. I am saddened by the confinement of living things that were brought from their natural habitats to small spaces.

Boss day out. Kids love it here. Lots to do and seem food is good but expensive. Toilets everywhere which is always a plus with 4 little kids. Not like your usual aquarium can spend a good part of the day here and not go bored. Dolphin show is good. So are the shark area. Lots of good stuff and good staff. 4D show is also good abs with the extra for the shark one.

Huge place that will require several hours for the best visit. Make sure to keep your kids well fed and happy to ensure that everyone will have a good time in yours and the others' groups.
The exhibition will be crowded at times so have patience.
The dolphin show is a must see. I watched it twice because, to be honest, it was a bit hard to follow. Young children around me thought the dolphin show was too much talk and too little action. When something cool actually happened they missed it because they didn't know where to look.I also weren't prepared when and where they would perform a trick.
Penguins would have been so fun to see but the window on that exhibition was a bit dirty and had water droplets all over it making it a bit hard to see clearly. This diminished the possibilities of an amazing, once in a lifetime, experience.
All in all, at first I thought it felt expensive but was actually very good value for money. If you visit Valencia and have the time and the money, go there.

Had a very nice experience with my family here. It was the main thing we enjoyed in Valencia. For anyone that is a lover of animals and oceanic life than I would recommend spending a couple hours here. We also got to witness the dolphin show where they taught us about the latest technology used in research and I found that really interesting.
NOTE: We bought our tickets at the front office like a lot of other people. Definitely don’t need to book in advance unless you want to skip the line.

Amazing place. A must if you can - especially good for children. Sooo much to see. Be prepared for lots of walking both inside and out - place is enormous but very well designed and organised. Huge selection of rays and sharks. Beluga whales were the highlight for us and we feel privileged to have seen them.
Highly recommended buying tickets online beforehand

Recommending buying tickets in advance so you can skip the line. Need to know exact day and time of the visit to do so. There are some discounts if you buy combo tickets with other landmarks in the city. You can google it to see which ones. Also you need at least 4 hours to see all parts of the place, its really big. Dolphins show is worth it.

Such a great aquarium. I’ve visited many aquariums and this one is definitely top 5. So many different animals to see. I liked how they separated most of them by locations (where they would be found in the wild). They had very informative signs. Even though there were a lot of people, it didn’t feel overly crowded. We had a great time.

I did not know what to expect, but this place is really special. The buildings and facilities are amazing. You really need to 3 to 4 hours to see all well. The Delphine show is good (included as part of ticket price), but not super amazing, however it’s great for kids to learn. The shark tunnel is fantastic!

A diverse range of aquatic life on exhibit. Displays with an environmental theme are located throughout and feature powerful statements about pollution & plastics. Food services were not plentiful on site, but there are many nearby. Entrance price was a bit steep, but comparable to similar attractions in major cities.

This is definitely 100 times better than bioparc. It's got a huge space almost like the Disneyland of aquariums. It's easy to spend 4-6 hours here except the food options are terrible here so some people suggested bringing your own food. The dolphin show also is very boring, maybe it's very humane and kind to the dolphins but there was 70 percent lecture on saving the dolphins and 30 percent show. Kids couldn't even sit through it, the Spanish audience were the best though, they were singing and dancing thru the music which was much more interesting than the disorganized dolphins. To compare, even a tiny aquarium in Hokkaido Japan had a better dolphin show. However they do have some really cool tanks. I
There was one underwater tunnel they had Atlantic fish which was not so pretty bit there was another tunnel with sharks and tortoises. It's very cool. The bird case was a cool structure but looks better from the outside than from the inside. The octopus is totally cool to look at. The whole area is pretty big but it's not too hard to walk it all. Not really sure I saw it all but the kids were too tired to keep going after 5 hours. Highly recommend the sharks, penguins, belugas, flamingos and the octopus. Very very fun place. Worth the entrance.

This place is a true gem, and here's why:
The Oceanographic is incredibly well-maintained, showcasing an impeccable level of care for both the marine life and the visitors. The size of the facility is impressive, offering a vast and diverse array of exhibits to explore. It's like stepping into a world of aquatic diversity and beauty.
One of the standout features of the Oceanographic is its cleanliness. Everywhere I looked, the facility gleamed with cleanliness, making the visit all the more enjoyable. It's evident that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a pristine environment for both the animals and guests.
The exhibit layout is both extensive and well-organized, with various buildings dedicated to different marine themes. Whether you're fascinated by sharks, mesmerized by dolphins, or curious about penguins, there's something here for everyone. The diverse range of exhibits ensures that you'll never run out of new and exciting things to see.
The quality of the exhibits and the welfare of the marine life were top-notch. It's clear that the Oceanographic is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment for the animals. From playful dolphins to majestic jellyfish, the experience is nothing short of magical.

Hands down the best aquarium I have ever been too - A great variety of spaces and stunning marine life, all in pristine facilities. We went there thinking it would be a couple of hours, but easily spent 4 - 5 enjoyable hours. Dolphins were definitely a highlight 🐬
Would certainly recommend going if you get the chance. Plenty of choices for food if you get hungry too - Great place for a family trip out

Fantastic place! We spent over 7 hours here, strolling around the outdoor exhibits, watching the dolphin show, and going through the many underground exhibits showcasing a wide variety of fish including sharks, rays and eels, as well as turtles, seals, beluga whales, and penguins. And so many birds - flamingos, ducks, ibis, swans, and spoonbills. Take your time! It's well worth the price of admission.
This aquarium is well maintained and clean. Animals appear well taken care of. Staff are very friendly and most speak English.
We went in January, with no lineups, but still recommend buying tickets online ahead of time. Got to go straight in! Be aware you can bring in water bottles to drink, but no food allowed. This is to make sure you don't feed the animals. Reasonable request considering the circumstances!
This was definitely a highlight of our stay in Valencia. Highly recommend going for the day!

Awesome. We loved it. The spaces are out of this world. I love how it puts a lot of focus on the environment. We booked the backstage tour that takes you inside and explain how the water filtration works. Our guide Nuria was very knowledgeable and replied all our questions.
Also in case anyone needs it there are lockers, the size might fit a very small carry on, but otherwise I wouldn't take any luggage with you here.
We also tried the 4D movie theater, it was very good. An amazing experience, I believe it was only 3 euros. It's a must see in Valencia.

Wow what a big and beautiful aquarium.
I’ve visited some aquariums and I’ve never been to one where they pay so much attention to the animals and how big their living environments are.
This is how we’ve ended up spending almost 4,5 hours here, something we couldn’t imagine beforehand. There are a lot different animals to see. Very good of the park to separate most of them by locations (where they would be found in the wild). Must say that the signage in English is very good and placed at every item.

Castell de Dénia is a picturesque castle by the water, dating back to the 11th and 12th centuries. It offers a glimpse into history with artifacts on display, showcasing its Greek, Roman, Moorish, and Spanish influences. The climb to the top rewards visitors with stunning views of Denia and the mountains. While exploring the castle's ruins, visitors can also enjoy a café at the top.
Visited on a wild and windy day.
Still made so welcome. Very low cost to enter. Amazing. Fascinating history, spectacular views. Basic but good snack bar and facilities near top of castle. A very enjoyable visit.

On a bright day this is an affordable and scenic hike up and down a rather old and well preserved castle in the heart of Denia. Come prepared to climb and pause the climb, especially with elders. Refreshments can be found at the cafe on top. Stunning views with ample space for photos. Laid back vibes and not overly-crowded. A space equal parts history and imagination.

Loved this high hill castle in the heart of Denia’s old town. We visited early on a Monday morning, but even then it was clearly popular with locals and tourists.
There was lots to look at in the castle buildings themselves, but I must admit the views of the town from this high vantage point took most of my attention.
Excellent for just walking around and exploring, as well as getting to know the surrounding area.

I enjoyed a lot the visit there. It was in the 15th of August and it was crazy hot and humid, but anyways a great visit. It took us about two hours of slow walking to go around the whole place.

For only 5 euros the Castle and its views are a must when visiting Denia. It’s a steep climb to the top but worth the views

Absolutely gorgeous! Can't say anymore. The views are spectacular! The castle and ruins are so lovely and interestings! Little museums inside too. Loads of cats around! 🥰🤭

There is a huge amount of history to learn about by visiting this castle, from the Greeks to the Romans, Moors, Spanish wars and more.
It's well worth a visit if you are in Dénia, but decent shoes are recommended or at least good sandals as parts of the steep paths are uneven and in several places slippery.
There are great views from the top of the castle, a good reason to visit if nothing else. From the top you can see right over Dénia and the mountains.
Entry was only €2 each (seniors) which included a guided tour.
Tony Payne — Google review
An impressive old castle with a lot of history. Splendid views over Dénia and the surrounding mountains and landscapes.

The castle itself is nothing really special, but the views of the city are fantastic. We took our dog with us and had no problem whatsoever. The walk up to the castle through the narrow streets is beautiful with many picture opportunities. It's well worth a visit.

Platges de Comte is a much-loved beach on the western coast of Ibiza. It boasts three stunning coves with soft, golden sands and crystal clear turquoise waters that are perfect for swimming. This low-lying headland offers breathtaking views of the outlying islands and is an incredibly popular spot to watch the sunset over the Mediterranean Sea while listening to Balearic beats.

Beautiful beach with sand and clear water. I think it's the most famous beach in Ibiza. There are a lot of restaurants where you can refresh yourself. I really recommend to go there for a sunset which leave you breathless, very romantic!
To reach there roads are bad

Great views. Beaches lovely. Superb sunsets. Naturist beach to the west. Close to free car park.

My personal favourite beach to watch sunset.
Book a table at one of the restaurants for a late long lunch, then head to sunset ashram for a cocktail, have a swim and wait for the sun to set over the ocean.
A gorgeous beach with a great atmosphere

Stunning area to visit, great beach, safe swimming , lovely bar/ restaurant.

Beautiful views! There are only 3 of 4 restaurants here so not many choices. Buses back to San Antonio run every hour. They may come slightly early so be prepared! Good spot for surfers

One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen! Parking is clear when you arrive - just follow the cars parked & find a spot. Stunning spot for sunset too & make sure you get lunch at the restaurant Sunset Ashram - it’s great food & drinks.

One of the best beaches in Ibiza...there you can come with taxi or bus number L4 from Sant Antoni bus station or with your own car... There is parking if you come with car... The water is so clear and clean... It's not so deep, and you can come so far in the water from the beach... The beach is not so big, but always you can find place to put your towel... There is two great restaurants with so quality food and drink... It's not so expensive... There is lot of young people... One of the nicest sunset on the island... Great view... All recommendations for visit and spend all day if you are at Ibiza 👌

Great view, it is like divided in two. It is not too big so it can get crammed in summer.

Beautiful beach with three restaurants, worth visiting if you are in ibiza a return boat can bring you from san Antonio de portmany for as little as 12 euros
seanene browne — Google review
Gorgeous beach, one of the prettiest on the island! However, gets really crowded and transport there via bus and taxi is very limited. There is car parking a short walk away and there are multiple places to grab a drink and food but severely overpriced for what it offers.
Melike Bilgic — Google review
Perfect location for the sunset! There's 3 beautiful beaches, in 1 of them you can swim with or without clothes. Also there are 3 different places to enjoy some drinks & food!
This Cala was one of my favourites in the island, so bad we found it the last day :(
Enjoy it for me!

We came here for the sunset, like a hundred other people. It was crowded but we knew and expected that in high-season (end of august) - if you don't like people - stay away from this place because yes, there are a lot.
The sunset was really beautiful and if you can ignore a million instagram skin-showing models, you will enjoy it :)

The Cala Bassa Beach Club is located in one of the most beautiful beaches on Ibiza, with soft sand and crystal clear water. It has a pool that is perfect for swimming and diving, as well as a variety of dining options.
Great beach, calm and clear. Nice (but pricey) restaurant.

Very nice and beautiful beach.
BUT today was full on jellyfish so no one on the water and we left after short time.
Really shame. Jellyfish are a big problem in Ibiza. Specially in small Cala
AleX — Google review
Excellent location and nice beach club. However, given the pretentious appearance, the service levels don't live up to it. If you ask 250 euros for the Taittinger lounge, that service needs to be top notch. It simply wasn't at that level. So, could be 5 stars if price and quality of service match.
Marco Wanders — Google review
Excellent well maintained beach. The club charges 6 euro for parking but this is redeemed against drinks so effectively it is free. Drinks are overpriced but not as much as O Beach. Plenty of room to find to sun bathe in and beach is nice.
Vin Chenzo — Google review
We reserved the Taittinger Lounge, which was worth its price. Direct view on the sea, elevated from the beach, shade from the trees. Located in the quietest corner to keep you distant from all the busyness. The bay is very nice for a swim, the menu offers a good variety of food, in the lounge area you have your separate restaurant where you don't need to worry to get a table.
The only problem was to get the attention of the staff, some were good, some not.. but the place is so nice that you would not mind waiting a bit longer to ask for food or additional drinks. There was always a queue for the toilet, and no separate changing room. Which was a bit annoying. Remember to show your reservation at the entrance of the parking so that they direct you to the right place to leave your car for free and closer to the entrance.

Close to San Antoni de Portmany... You can come with bus L4, with your own car, taxi or with boat tour from Port Sant Antoni... It's small beach, clear water...I think it's family beach, always full of parents and their little children... In the main season there is very much people on the beach, and there is little hard noised if you want to relax...i think better to go there early in the morning or late afternoon after six... There you have some restaurants if you hungry or want some drink to refresh yourself... All recommendations for visit if you at Ibiza and take some nice pictures but in my opinion better in low season 😎

Good picturesque place, with rocky area for great pictures and good jumps into the turquoise water. And a sandy area for chilling in the sun
Prudvi Reddy — Google review
Great beach, beautiful views, options to use the beach club day beds, cabanas, sun beds which is pricey but you can chill on the beach or the bar areas for free, parking is 5 Euro but with your ticket you can exchange that for a bottle of water or a Corona - highly recommend a day here.

Nice Cala - what Ibiza is all about. Gets crowded, as you would expect. The beach club is the best option for comfort, and the beds on the beach can be reserved in advance. By law, anything on the beach is public and has a price limit in addition to reservations actually being illegal. The beach club allow reservations despite this and charge extras. Check out the website. Parking is ample, costs 6€ but get their before 10:00. Toilets are also available.

Located in a nice bay, with an equal amount of sun and shelter. Place kept nice and tidy. But completely overpriced and not good value for money. (Double sunbed was €270 for the day!!) Food and drinks were completely overpriced too! When we got our bill, they even tried to overcharge us by €80 for soft drinks that should have been included in the price of the bottle of vodka we bought! Thankfully we were sober enough to notice the “mistake”. Getting a taxi here in the morning was easy, but trying to get one to go home at 18:00 was impossible. There were even a few illegal taxis outside offering to take us where we needed, but for twice of the price!!! Thankfully a bus arrived shortly after this and we were able to get into Sant Antoni for €3 per person!

Absolutely beautiful view from the restaurants. The ocean is emerald blue in areas and light blue and pearly clear. The beach was very busy but their was room to walk and enjoy my dunk into the salty Mediterranean. Definitely a must visit
Adam Shabana — Google review
This is a nice beach
But it is really expensive.
We would rent sunbeds but for 6 it was 750 euro's
You get food and drinks for that (im not sure)
But the beach is nice and the water is crystal clear.
But we went away.
Wendy Hess — Google review
Beautiful beach with stunning blue water. It was pretty busy but we found a spot. There’s a lovely beach bar and restaurant so it’s easy to get some drinks and take down to the beach. Toilets are nearby just off the back of the beach.
The guys selling towels and umbrellas and the women trying to braid your hair are absolute pests.
Local taxis are a nightmare so either pre-book or plan other ways of getting back. We got the boat from San Antonio harbour which was brilliant - it costs €12 return and drops right at the beach.

Cala Bassa beach Club is a really very nice setup that there is everything for everyone like you can find very good selection of cuisines to few types of massage and many more better to come and experience to decide for your self.

I came here super early in the morning and got to enjoy the tranquility and purity of this beach before other people rolled in. The water was crystal clear, and the sand was pristine and soft. Not to mention, the sea life here was vibrate, and it’s quite an experience to swim next to so many fishes. The best part was that there was also a beach club called CBBC with amazing food, service, clean sun beds, umbrella and upbeat house music. Highly recommend.
SK Wang — Google review
The views are amazing. However make sure you take your own drinks and snacks as the beach bars are very expensive. With a 330ml can of water costing €5! There are a few lucky lucky men and women here, but as long as your polite to them it's okay, they're only trying to make a living at the end of the day

Platja de Ses Illetes is a picturesque beach located on a slender strip of land, boasting breathtaking views of the sunset and fancy boats docked nearby. It was voted Europe's best beach by TripAdvisor users in 2016 and ranks seventh among the world's best beaches. The sand is white, while pink coral adds to its charm, alongside turquoise water creating an eye-catching effect. This lightly developed area only features two wooden beachside restaurants.
It's definitely one of the best beaches. The only warning to avoid it during high season is way too many people it's magic is during the quiet months ... Wild and Acquamarina water !
Daniela M — Google review
Its a long stretch, there are plenty of mini-beaches on either side, all well-maintained. The water is crystal clear and cool. You can see atleast 4different shades of blue which make for pretty amazing pictures.
When we visited one side of the beach was windy and rough while the other side was calmer. There are rocky patches separating the 2 sides. These make for good changing areas where you can dry your feet and dust off the sand. Watch our for the scampering harmless lizards.
Plenty of free parking space available. The road leading here is quite bumpy with pot holes.

The best beach in formentera specially if you can sail there. Beautiful and deserted beach(in the early morning) so peaceful and the white sand and the clear water!
You can drive to the nearest parking and the. Walk.
It’s not ideal for toddlers due to the walk but it is still doable.
Avoid in the afternoon if you can there are way too many tourist.

The stunning Formentera beach offers a paradise of white sand and crystal-clear waters. It's the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun while marveling at the natural beauty of the island. Breathtaking sunsets and a peaceful atmosphere make Formentera a must-visit destination for beach and nature lovers.

Definitely my favourite one.
The great thing about this place is that it has a double exposure, so you can choose the side of the beach you prefer depending on the wind, just a few steps away from each other. The water is beautiful, very clear and colourful.
It is predominantly a wild beach, without beach clubs or private areas. There are few bar-restaurants nearby, although very expensive.
If you like nature, rent a bike at La Savina port and reach this beautiful beach riding among the trees overlooking the sea, in just 15-20 minutes.
Gaia Luna — Google review
Gorgeous beach, especially on the right side - much fewer people. Clearest water, just stuff of dreams. No shade so bring your own.

Many say it's the best beach in the world. I can't argue with that. Only downside is there is a little trash on beach and restaurants are all scammers. BUT AN INCREDIBLE BEACH YOU MUST SEE.

Incredible view with crystal clear water. Everything was fantastic except for a vicious lizard that repeatedly bit me while lying on the beach towel. 🦎 It was 5cm long, so its attack does not detract from the top rating. 😅
Recommend traveling here with anything other than a skateboard. Are unpaved roads when approaching the final destination. Bicycle, moped or taxi/bus is probably preferable. But if you still like to walk, do so.

📍😍Ses Illetes beach (or Playa de Ses Illetes) is located in the peninsula of Es Trucadors, in the northern part of Formentera island. It is on the west side of this trip of sand that we find the wonderful pink beach; this particular color is given by the union between the fine white grains of sand and the residues of coral dust that emerge from the sea.
❤️The name Playa de Ses Illetes means “beach of the small islands”: nearby we find Illa des Ponent, Illa de Tramuntana, Escull des Pou, Illa Rodona, Escull d ‘en Paia, Racò des Palo and the most famous Espalmador.
🤩Not far from Ses Illetes, precisely on the opposite side of the strip of sand, we find the beach Platja de Llevant; these two beaches are so close that they are often called “the twins” and have the great merit that, when the wind blows from the west and the sea will be rippled at Ses Illetes you will not have to do anything but go to Platja de Llevant; vice versa when the wind blows from the east and Platja de Llevant will be very windy you will go to relax in the quiet of Ses Illetes. Both beaches belong to an area called the Natural Park of Ses Salines. ✔️

Beautiful sea and city view from all the sides, cheap ticket like around 5 euros. Unfortunately, there are not many things to see except the impressive walls. Most of the rooms are totally empty. It could be an amazing museum if it had better maintenance and some exhibits. Some storytelling videos are projecting in the walls but with kind of poor quality

A Historic Gem,
Nestled on a picturesque hill overlooking the glistening Mediterranean Sea, Peniscola Castle stands as a testament to centuries of history and architectural brilliance. As I stepped through its ancient gates, I was instantly transported back in time to the era of knights and kings.
The castle's commanding presence is awe-inspiring, with its imposing stone walls and fortified towers offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Exploring its labyrinthine corridors and chambers, I was fascinated by the rich tapestry of its past, from its origins as a Moorish citadel to its role as a royal residence during the reign of the Knights Templar.
One of the highlights of my visit was the castle's impressive courtyard, where I marveled at the intricate craftsmanship of its arched arcades and ornate fountains. It was here that I could almost feel the echoes of past events, from grand banquets to fierce battles fought in defense of its walls.
The castle's museum provided a fascinating insight into its history, with displays of artifacts ranging from medieval weaponry to intricate tapestries. I particularly enjoyed learning about the castle's role in the Spanish Reconquista and its significance in the region's cultural heritage.
Overall, my experience at Peniscola Castle was nothing short of unforgettable. Its blend of history, architecture, and natural beauty make it a must-visit destination for anyone interested in delving into the rich tapestry of Spain's past. Whether you're a history buff or simply seeking a glimpse into a bygone era, this historic gem offers a captivating journey through time.
