Amazing place! So much detail, beautiful. I really liked going here, I attended mass, it was lovely. Everything was organized, there are arrows pointing to all the installations. Definitely reccomend visiting this church.

A little disappointed, as it would of been so much better if there would of been signs/placards of what you were seeing. It was a beautiful church, attendees devoted to the patron saint, but again, would of liked to of known what I was looking at!!!!

(Translated by Google) The visit to the state and the magical town of Huamantla will be loaded with visits to churches.
For the same reason, this is one more of them.
As in all of them, the baroque style is noticeable in its external and internal configuration, on the façade smooth walls but on the "front" if there is baroque decoration with so much ornament, it is its carving, as well as the interior altarpiece.
Its furniture is sober, but it stands out that in addition to the main room intended for the main mass, they have other spaces dedicated to praying for special issues.

The National Puppet Museum, located in a renovated building on the zocalo, features an impressive collection of dolls and marionettes from around the world. The museum offers a fun and educational experience for visitors of all ages, with informative guides and occasional puppet shows on weekends. While some visitors found the layout confusing, arrows on the floor help guide guests through the exhibits. Although photography inside is not permitted, many recommend this unique museum as a must-visit attraction.

Visiting the image of the Virgin of Charity, in its spacious and modern Basilica-Cathedral, is the objective of a planned trip, to be at the sanctuary punctually on that date. The will of the Huamantlecos to create that ephemeral art is admirable, with all the work and expenses that it represents, to create that dazzling effect of light and color. There are 10 km of carpets that the image travels in about 6 hours or more.

Tehuacán is a colorful town. Great amounts of delicious food and nice people.
It has a very rich collection of animals, especially cats, including white tigers and lions. The bears were huge! Yes, the space is quite small, but the management did a quite good job with building several layers of platforms and passages, practically expanding the available space vertically so that the animals can run around as well as up and down. They let the chickens, ducks, peacocks, and pheasants freely roam around. The spaces of the primates and herbivores (especially bisons) should be bigger though, and I hope the management will have the chance to expand the area or downsize the inventory of animals by donating some of them to other zoos, to open up some space. Nevertheless, the animals all looked healthy and content. There was one rather young-looking tiger confined in a somewhat small cage, separate from others (probably to prevent aggression by the alphas). It looked somewhat scared. I lowered myself to its level and tried cheering. After a short while it got up and started going up and down the cage, scuffing against the bars and chuffing, which is a sign of affection tigers show. It was feeding time when I was about to leave, and I can say all the animals are generously fed.The place was overall clean. It is obvious that the place is running on a low budget. I hope the owners/management will be even more successful, for the sake of both themselves as well as the well-being of the animals. In short, I had a very good experience.

Small neglected museum - quick to walk through.
The museum is housed in a section of "Ex-convento del Carmen" - a courtyard and 3 attached rooms. The old convent is much larger than this - the other side can be visited for free and is in a better state of repair.
In my opinion, it should be considered to merge this museum with another, as the current space could be repurposed for other activities. It appears that the museum is not well-visited, as I was the only one there on a Saturday. Alternatively, the museum could be refurbished by expanding its size, providing WiFi, and implementing a system of barcodes that link to a website with audio narrations and additional information in multiple languages (which can easily be achieved using automatic translation).
Admission is 70 pesos. However, if you're interested in seeing similar ceramics etc, I recommend checking out Museo Amparo in Puebla. It's a much larger and better-presented museum that is free to visit.

Iconic glacier-topped volcano & Mexico's highest peak, a popular destination for climbing.
Nice place for climbing... It is safer to start climbing through the South Face. You didn't have to pay anything and you can camp at Cargaderos Park.
Valter Paralovo — Google review
I climbed this with a Mexican guiding company owned by a friend of mine. This is a great peak and after getting up to the Piedra Grande hut we did a short acclimatisation hike on the first day. The summit day we were away at 1.15am and after a night time slog up the shale/rocky path to the Labyrinth we found that there was quite a bit of ice on the route that required front pointing and pick work. This was done in rope teams but it was easy enough. After getting through the Labyrinth we started the three hour cold, windy slog that took us up the steep 40 degree slope up to the summit. It was cold and very windy this day but we were rewarded with top summit views. A hard 8 hour slog in total to the summit. Quite a good time and we took 4 hours on the decent. All in all a great mountain day but hard work.
david howells — Google review
It's an amazing experience, beautiful volcano. Not very technical climb but the glacier is quite steep so make sure you're ready for it and rope up. Also go with someone who knows their way through the labyrinth part (it's called that for a reason).
Egle Zujute — Google review
First of all i want to say it was amazing experiance. I climbed the peak unguided. It was beautiful. We had a group of four guys in fairly ok shape. From the hut, it took us 6 hours to the top and 3.5 hours coming down. The first 2/3 of the hike is dirt and rock with some scrambling and then glacial travel for the last 1/3. Most people do not rope up, but crampons and an ice axe are a must. There are multiple trails through the Labyrinth below the glacier. A lot lf people got lost in Labyrinth part. When coming down, I recommend tracking the trail so that you can follow it on the way down. Also stick to the trails on the left when you are in the Labyrinth. We used summitorizaba. com for our accommodations and the lodging and transportation was fantastic. Once again, amazing.
Damir Vidanović — Google review
Usually takes about 12ish hours, great experience. The labyrinth is challenging if you don't have a guide, be sure to have a proper gpx file and such. It's recommended to rope up on the glacier although not necessary- just don't slip!

Amazing mountain! At 5636 meters above sea level it is the highest mountain in Mexico and the highest volcano in North America. If you plan on summitig this beautiful volcano, you need to consider acclimitazation as a crucial factor. Don't make the usual mistake people from the US or Europe make, by thinking they are above the experience level needed for proper preparation. Wether you need a guide or not is up to your judgement and experince level, but you will need technical alpine equipment to get all the way up to the summit. It is a serious undertaking. I hired Javier Leyva to guide our group. You can find him on his Facebook page Senderismo Mexico. Awesome experience!

The Eco River Park in Orizaba offers a scenic riverside walk with murals and animal enclosures, making it a must-visit destination. The park features pedestrian and vehicular bridges crossing the river at frequent intervals, providing easy access for visitors. Tourists can enjoy observing a variety of animals such as lions, tigers, monkeys, and turtles while appreciating the effort put into their care.
It's totally free. Family and friendly. You can see lot's of exotic animals, kind of a zoo. Must wear comfortable clothing and shoes because you have to walk a lot. Perfect for spending your free time. Better watch out and find out what the trip hides! (For example, you can take a look at the locks of love and friendship placed on the bridges).

Wow. In 2023 Mexico there is a zoo from 1900. Crammed cages with overflowing wild animals. Depressed animals. All in the name of keeping species alive.??!! I’d rather be killed. Jesus and this is a catholic country! And this is a pueblo magico??!! Giving props to a city that visibly abuses animals is disgusting. Catholics and Mexican citizens should be outraged and embarrassed. For this reason I will never return to Orizaba —which is a shame because everything else about this Pueblo is magical.
Howard Goldstein — Google review
This is the end of the riverside walk, admiring the murals and the various animal enclosures, around 3 km one way from the teleferico area and double that for returning in the other direction on the opposite bank. Pedestrian bridges as well as vehicular bridges ( with steps to reach them) cross the river at frequent intervals. Not to be missed on a visit to orizaba. Here is where one finds the tiger, hippo. Some animal enclosure enroute are too tiny, wish they had more space.

A lot of love and care has gone into this. I thoroughly enjoyed my day passing through and seeing all the animals in reasonably sized enclosures

Alameda Francisco Gabilondo Soler Cri-Cri is a unique park that features a war hero memorial and an area dedicated to the popular cartoon cricket, Cri-Cri. The park offers various amusement-like attractions and food stands. It is also well-known for its child-friendly environment where kids can drive little cars around, often crashing into each other and pedestrians like future Mexican drivers. However, some visitors have suggested implementing red lights and police presence to control the chaos caused by these young drivers.
This is a crazy park, one of the craziest I've seen in my life and I did see a lot, trust me. So many children in the little cars, and they drive like crazy crashing into each other and into pedestrian, like true future Mexican drivers. It's in their blood. This park needs some red lights and police to control this wild horde. Other than that there are some food stands and amusement park like attractions. I have also seen a coupe getting profesional photoshoot in the middle of the park (fortunately crazy little drivers won't go upstairs)

The Teleférico de Orizaba is a cable car located near the Palacio Municipal that takes visitors to the peak of Cerro del Borrego hill, offering stunning views of the city and access to hiking trails. The ride lasts about five minutes and covers almost one kilometer while ascending 320 meters. There are several lookout points at the top, as well as amenities like bathrooms, a convenience store, an outdoor gym, and a zip line.
Awesome views! Inexpensive at 50 pesos to go up and down. Smooth ride and many look out spots at the top. There is a small convenient store, bathrooms, an outdoor gym, zip line at the top.

Killer views of such a incredible area. Very kind & helpful staff working the summit. The hike back down was fun, but quite slippery from the mud from recent rain. Took us about an hour to finish the hike. Worth the money

Omg!!! Out of this world experience. My husband and I enjoyed our second honeymoon so much and were simply delighted by this amazing city and the teleferico ride. The view when you get to the top is indescribable. The feeling of breathing life, how welcoming people are and all the history of the place is just a great experience. Highly recommend. Don't miss it if you are in the area.

Great way to get a birds eye view of the city as you go up and down. Felt safe, and it was a quick 5 minutes up. Beautiful scenery once at the top. There is a little tienda, washrooms, small kids play grounds, zip lining. Also, very inexpensive. Must do if in Orizaba!
Niloofar A. — Google review
The ride takes about 5 minutes to the top. The most inconvenience thing about it is buying the ticket. It's not go there, buy the ticket and taking the ride. There are always lots of people, who want to take the ride so if you are unlucky, you have to buy the ticket for a later time slot. If you are up there, you have few hiking options, a Museum and of course a beautiful sight over the City.

The teleférico was a great experience. The cost per roundtrip is $70 pesos and your ticket includes discounts for another attractions in the area. Six persons per cabin, three cabins go up and the go down. Travel time per leg 6 minutes 30 seconds. Atop the mountain you can do some activities like ziplining, walk down the mountain or just admire the view.

If you like heights (or even if you’re a liiiittle scared) and nice views, this is definitely recommended. You get a nice view of Orizaba as you stop and get off at the top of the mountain to explore more things and get a better view. We loved our experience here!

We booked a canyoning tour. When we arrived we were given wetsuits, an abseiling harness, a helmet and a life vest, i felt very safe. We were driven to the countryside where we would go canyoning in the river. They had explained everything clearly so we were confident in being able to abseil from waterfalls. Our guides were super friendly and patient. The route we did was super cool and being able to abseil and zip-line off waterfalls was exhilarating. When one of ye hurt their leg, there was no problem to stop the tour a little earlier and we hiked back to be picked up and brought back to base. The Cascada de Texolo is an impressive waterfall located in a forested gorge, accessible via a path and observation deck. Visitors can enjoy a pleasant 3km walk or drive along a bumpy road from Xico to reach the 80m cascading falls. The area features additional attractions such as the Cascada de la Monja and Sendero de Ocelot, which offer stunning views of the falls up close.
The way down is a bit long and rocky, so wear comfortable hiking/walking shoes. Going back up is quite a workout but it's worth it. The place and view is majestic and impressive!

I walked there. For someone who is 65 years old, and used to a lower altitude, going down to the waterfall and back up was difficult. Had trouble catching my breath. Very beautiful, interesting birds to be seen in the area, and coffee farms along the road. If you are a tourist visiting from Xico, I would recommend hiring a taxi if you aren't used to the altitude, so you don't have to walk back to Xico.

We old so we only made it to the new bridge & just a bit beyond but it certainly is a beautiful area! Unfortunately, there are 2 negative points: #1) the trash bins were overflowing everywhere, like noone had emptied them in quite a while! It was very gross! and #2) my wife was attacked by a swarm of no-see-um's &, afterwards, her legs were covered by red welts, all the way up to her thighs! So, make sure you take insect repellent & use it before you start walking!

The location is beautiful. Although the easier walkable footpath and lookout is closed. Of course they didn't mention that... The only available natural footpath is extremely dangerous if wrong weather.

Beautifully found within the lush vegetation of Texolo in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. Vista point is mildly step to climb down to really appreciate the waterfall's true beauty, but very well worth the effort. The oxygen is so clean, rich and fresh it might help clean sinus issues as one of my colleagues found out. More than anything there is no quote or admission fees and there is some local artesan souvenirs shops at the beginning of the entrance trail as well as small regional eatery in case of cravings. Will definitely visit again if in the vicinity...

Friendly staff, the entrance was 50 mxn. There was a shop with some handcrafts, coffee products and upscale coffee beans (130 mxn for 250 gr a bit overpriced). Small venue. The greatest con was that the tour was way too long, more than an hour just to listen to some explanations about coffee and could definitely be shorter as some facts were not important or interesting but I do not know if this depends of the assigned guide. Then you get to participate in a more detailed explanation by drinking actual coffee (40 minutes). There was a café next to the backyard but they had lack of staff because it seemed that no one was there attending. An ok experience in Cordoba.

Wonderful museum - really clean, organized, and well laid out information. The garden is peaceful and they have a large variety of coffee plants all labelled. The café is great, was really excited that they had a tisana of coffee cherry and several methods of extraction! Shop is well-stocked with local coffee. Best of all is the (hourly) guided tour - Paty was super knowledgeable not to mention a great barista, if there's anything you want to know about coffee she will be able to enlighten you! If you're a coffee fan then ask questions! Your appreciation will be deepened. And if not, you just might become one..

This is white water rafting at its best. The 16 km course was exciting and beautiful. The owners and staff are wonderful, making sure you feel safe and valued. The food is delicious and special. Would come back again!

The price-performance ratio is amazing. Rafting and rappelling was awesome and the owners are very kind.
Food and drinks have been very tasty and there was plenty of it.
I would definitely recommend it! :)

I highly recommend Jalco Expediciónes. They are very welcoming and accommodating. The guides are professional but are all about everyone having fun. I was traveling solo bit I felt like one of the “family”. The Rio La Antigua is a great class III-IV river with lots of action, but just enough calm sections for some swimming. The pizza after the activities is not to be missed!

Jalcomulco hasn't too much food options. The same food and no good service everywhere. But this pizza saved out lives. One of the best pizzas in Mexico.
I didn't book their tours.

Wonderful!! The guides are world-class (in some cases, literally, former champions), the scenery was incredible, and the rapids were a blast! We could stop and swim, cliff jump if desired, and laughed the whole way! Marcela in the front office is incredible (with perfect english and spanish, too). Also a LOCAL BUSINESS, five generations on the river, not owned by a foreign businessman. Loved every minute of it!!! Muchas gracias a toda!!!

Wonderful team and experience. I was lucky to go with Huitzilapan for rafting and canyoning, under the week and off season. Both adventures were great, the guides lovely, the group small and like a family, the prices very good and the support from Yerisel in the office fabulous. She was very responsive and helpful, since I first had to figure out how to get from Xalapas to Jalcomulco.
Muchas muchas gracias!

Good place to spend a pleasant time and learn a little, the route you take on foot consists of seeing some ponds full of crocodiles, the vehicle tour consists of going to two artificial lagoons, it has a store with products made especially with skin and You must try the meat, the costs of the food and tickets are very affordable
Monserrath Madrid — Google review
Quite the scam actually. The free entrance for one with toll booth ticket does not apply to the long tour. The long tour also DOES NOT always feed the crocodiles, so ask beforehand. If they don't feed the crocodiles it is NOT worth the money. The guides are quite knowledgeable, but the office staff are cranky. Also there is 4% charge for using a credit card so bring cash. They say it is a 50 minute tour but it took 2 hrs, most of it waiting on people to take pictures. It's a tourist trap.

Cute crocodile friends ! Learn about the Mexican crocodile and help conserve these wonderful creatures :) the tour takes a little over and hour and the guides are happy to answer your questions !
Catherine Swain — Google review
The tour is not bad.. but the office staff are lacking in basic social skills... Very rude... Type of people who seem bothered to do their job and take your money... Would it kill her to smile? We went on the longer tour... Had to pay per car... But were charged extra for a 5 year old... Advertised we would see them feed the crocodiles... But no... Overall, a big disappointment. Several Crocs with neurological problems and other deformities...

Roadside attraction, interesting and good for kids. Actual working croc farm selling meat and hide (and croc tacos weekends). Most of the farm is out of sight, small demonstration area, $50MXN tours. Learn a bit of bio-science along the way.

The park features thrilling slides, a meandering lazy river, an exciting wave pool, comfortable sun loungers, and a designated kids' zone. It is the perfect spot to spend quality time with family and friends while enjoying the lovely scenery and refreshing water activities. Visitors are advised to wear appropriate shoes or sandals for their safety while exploring this wonderful destination.
Grateful place for all ages, recommendation use and take appropriate shoes or sandals.

Awesome place, you can spend full day in their facilities.
There are activities if you like strong emotions or if you have small children.
Place IA safe, and the staff is always protecting people.
You will have a lot of fun.
Carlos Alberto Ortega Solis — Google review
This place was a small water park and that is ok for me. Business was not to busy. They do have a recommend dress code picture posted along with price which was very reasonable for the size. They will not let you bring drinks in but you can bring a bottle. Didn't make sense to me but ok. You can not ware cotton shirts on the rides. Wish I would have known that first but no information on that until I got there. Still is ok with me. My only problem came toward the end of the day when I made my way to the wave pool and started paying attention to the lifeguards. They were not on point and only 1 life guard at a time for the wave pool and they barely watched the water. That is a BIG NO to me. Out of the 3 different people I saw only 1 was doing his job. If it wasn't for that I would have easily given at least a 4 because baring the shirt and shorts rules which I can follow (had I known) I am sure I would have had more fun.

This water park surpassed my expectations. We came on a cloudy day and at first there were very few visitors. It got busier afterwards but it never felt crowded. The amenities are safe and well looked after and there are plenty of things to do. I'm not a person who is easily convinced to go to slides but I had a lot of fun and so did my kids. Also, the stuff is exceptionally friendly and well trained to deal with different situations (my kid got very nervous on one of the big slides). I would recommend considering getting an anual membership if you are in the area as the price is just marginally different from the day pass, I personally regretted not having bought one.

We came from the United States with our two year old. It is very nice/clean /spacious but they played American music with disgusting lyrics and cuss words. I finally had to ask them to change the music to family friendly music. If you want your kids to listen to cursing the entire day then it’s comfortable. Otherwise expect to hear crude “shaking a** fu** “ nasty cardi b rap music the whole time.
Also, you cannot assist your children down slides. Even if they cannot swim they have to go alone. Doesn’t make sense to me. They said it’s a “liability” for us to assist our child.

Great place to spend the day; whether you are going alone, in couple or with family & friends, a lot of fun in any case. I went with friends & family; there are attractions to all ages. We went two days in a row. A lot of fun. Don't miss the boomerango slide with your group, where you can share your experience with another 4 people face to face, and will be watching expressions and fun screams you might have not heard or seen in a while. Don't forget to bring aqua-socks/shoes, which are allowed in most attractions.

400 pesos each enter fee, arrived at 11 am only the pool was open no slides were open ( none )
Only two Slides opened at 1 pm.
No food or drinks allowed in. ( Even unopened water ) the food shop didn't open for food untill 12.
Complete waste of time and money tickets no refundable
Danny — Google review
No food from outside is accepted (not even 1 apple for a kid or a fruitmix for a baby!?!?!?!?!) and within the complex you can only buy pizzas and snacks !?!? ... Besides, you can not help small kids on the slides as no adults are accepted on the attractions for kids, what makes the experience very frustrating. Further the attractions are fine but the park is small for the high entry price.
