Parque Nacional Lagunas de Chacahua is a stunning coastal area with five lagoons and sandy shores perfect for swimming and surfing. The location also offers birdwatching opportunities, among other activities. Accessible via HWY 200 or La Costera towards Rio Grande, the park is just an hour away from Puerto Escondido. Visitors can hire Lancheros to take them to the national park, which costs between 1500 to 2000 MX pesos.
The cellular and internet connections and wifi are not always working properly but you can make connection with the sea, the lagunes, the excellent waves to surf and the cheaper prices...In chacahua, the people are nice , the nature wonderful.

I wonder how I’ve never heard much about this place even being a Mexican. Very interesting finding one of the few Afro communities that exists in my country.
The mangroves are very pristine and the beach seems to be a good place for surfers.
The were very friendly and warm, this place is a hidden gem

Transportation from Puerto Escondido:
any Collectivo Shared Van service direction Rio Grande- tell the driver you are going to Chacahua National Park and need to exit at El Zapotalito. The stop or "parada" is on the main highway at a dirt road intersection. Cross the highway and wait at the small wooden Collectivo stand. A Collectivo Taxi will cost $25 Mxn for 10 min drive to the lancha /boat docks. Here is the tricky part! Make sure you use the far LEFT docks for the "local" lanchas. Google Maps "Lancha Collectivo" in El Zapotalito.
This is where the lanchas are reasonable in price. The local captains are kind and fair. Direct non stop from El Zapotalito to Chacahua $200mxn per person. Or in Collective lancha to the Collective Camionetta to Chacahua is $50Mxn per person. Find Felipe he owns his own small lancha and is very kind for a Direct ride without Camionetta. WhatsApp +529541479971.
**CAUTION: DO NOT use the Lanchas at the far right side from where the Collectivo Taxi stops- they have a large colour sign with prices showing ..Tour of Mangroves $3,500 total trip and $2,500 direct nonstop to Chacahua total trip. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND A COMPLETE SCAM!! Walk to the far left and use the "local" lancha Captains. We had no idea and were 3 people to share the cost..$830 per person from these "sharks"!
The beach and cabanas: Beautiful- Spectacular!! Stay on the Ocean side as the Lagoon side is less expensive but is run down and swimming is among the lancha boats going back and forth.
The Centre square has tiendas and restaurants- Chacahua Wings is very good, the Guacamole served at the place to the right of Wings is amazing, the Barbacoa Burritos are so good across the square from Wings! The centre square is where the Collectivo Camionetta drops off and picks up passengers for El Zapotalito.
Go visit Miguel at the restaurant beside Cabanas El Paraiso fir amazing, delicious Enchiladas Verde! We loved our private room with toilet and shower and mosquito nets at Cabanas El Paraiso...right on the ocean beach..with hammocks and bar.

What a gorgeous place to spend the day. You will have to take HWY 200 or also know as La Costera towards Rio Grande. It is 1hr from puerto escondido. You will have to pass Río Grande an take a left on Chacagua. Down the road You will get into the lagoon and there will be different Lancheros that will offer You their service to take You to the nacional park. The amount berries between 1500 to 2000 MX pesos. It is worth going to chacagua. An amazing place to stay or go for One day.

We visited at night for the bioluminescence lagoon, and oh my gosh. It was pure magic.
The ride to the lagoon itself was so much fun, zipping around the mangrove canals in the dark, avoiding fishing nets with all kinds of birds and bats flapping over head.
And the bioluminescence? Bright, magical, and a one of a kind experience. Definitely a must see and well worth the hour drive from Puerto Escondido.

It's a bit if an adventure getting here but well worth it. To get here from Huatulco you need to take at least 2 buses, a taxi, boat and then a truck it's a fun trip but you're looking at about 5-6 hours of travel (at least). Once you are there you have a boatload of restaurants to choose from, plenty of cabanas to rent and access to beach camp grounds. The natives are incredibly sweet and welcoming. The views are breathtaking and the waves are a surfers delight.

Very beautiful place, worth the visit. It's quiet and peaceful. If you want a break from the city this place is perfect. No internet or service. So if you can adapt to this life it's amazing. The locals are one of friendliest people I met in Oaxaca!
Barra Vieja Beach, situated about an hour outside of Acapulco, is a serene and secluded beach known for its breathtaking landscape. Visitors can indulge in a range of enjoyable activities such as horseback riding along the coastline or treating themselves to a personal message under the tents available on the beach. The local cuisine, particularly seafood dishes, is also worth exploring while at Barra Vieja Beach.

Sand and sea - the seelevel sinking very gently but the currents can be tough though.
Many services offered by locals, drinks food massage horses but I dont like the noisy, smelly buggy carts racing around in front of you.
Dont forget your sun-lotion!

Volveré a ir.

(Translated by Google) Quiet beach, it does not get crowded (at least not like Caleta, Majahua and Pto. Marquez), the waves are not so calm but the sea at a prudent distance is not that deep and many people go swimming and playing.
The sand is soft and it is very comfortable to sit or walk on the beach.
The restaurants are super good, many on the beach and the people are very friendly.
The only bad thing are the horse abusers exploiting their animals (as long as they don't work) but fortunately the people who come to this beach are more educated and do not condone the exploitation so the ATVs are more successful.
It is the beach with less garbage that we visit in Acapulco.
(Original)

Acapulco Diamante is famous for its diverse selection of luxury condominiums and contemporary hotels and resorts, some of which stand out amidst the lush hilly terrain. This coastal neighborhood along the Pacific Ocean is home to the popular Revolcadero beach, known for its shallow waters and large waves. Adjacent to it is Puerto Marques Bay, which boasts additional beaches and a line of waterfront restaurants serving up delectable seafood dishes.

The Capilla de la Paz is an open-air sanctuary perched atop a cliff overlooking Acapulco Bay. The imposing pyramid-style building features a large cross towering over the landscape and offers sweeping views of the water. Visitors are free to enter and explore the chapel, which is open daily.

This chapel is breathtakingly beautiful. There isn't anything too complex about the architecture. It's simple yet stunning. The English translation is "Chapel of Peace" and it truly gives you a sense on peace as you sit inside the chapel. There isn't a particular religion associated with the chapel, everyone is welcome. The scenery around the church is beautiful, the palm trees, the view of the Bay and the property is well maintained as well.
There is no entrance fee to visit, however you can give a donation to one of the staff working at the facility.
I would definitely recommend a visit to this Chapel on your trip to Acapulco, Mexico.

The city park Zocalo Emlilano Zapata La Sabana is well-maintained and spacious, providing ample room for people to stroll and enjoy themselves. It boasts a pristine appearance and radiates brightness throughout. The recent renovation has completely transformed the park, offering a new and pleasant perspective. However, it is worth noting that this small plaza lacks adequate children's play equipment. Despite this minor drawback, the park remains an inviting space for individuals to relax and engage in recreational activities.

The diving service and the banana, quite accessible. Arriving at La Roqueta, the view of the lighthouse is great, although the bad thing is that you cannot enter the lighthouse, but the view is worth the trip. The lovers' beach is beautiful, very private and quiet. On one side of the pier the sea is shallow and quite calm. I was able to swim to the buoys without problems and my children loved swimming on said beach without waves. The ideal is to bring your own food and drink, if you don't have much of a budget or if you want to save unnecessary expenses. I recommend arriving early, so you can explore everything without problems. It is also cheaper to buy tickets in Caleta, the boats have a round-trip service. The last one leaves approximately 5 pm. I will definitely return to this place!

The food in the place is very bad in taste and quantity.
There are spectacular views and the beaches are beautiful.
To get there you have to take a boat or boat that is taken in a cove, or you can opt for some with a route such as Dinka or Coral that are taken before.
If you are going to take the tour, keep in mind that they will ask you for a tip for everything, because it turns out that no one on the boat gets paid.

Is it NOT possible that one as a tourist comes to do their bit to continue with the reactivation of the port and they come out with it??? I was close to asking to speak to the manager and asking them to cancel my purchase but my mother told me to calm down and I agreed to let the guard take a look at my bag but I still felt offended.
It is the first and last time that I visit that store. I prefer to avoid another bad moment and I'll stay with Liverpool WITHOUT A DOUBT!!! That's what I get for going to that crappy store!

Something unusual in banking matters and very rare for something like this to happen in debit card behavior, I had never heard anything similar. As you can see, they couldn't solve my problem, so since yesterday BanCoppel lost one more client because I listened to them in withdrawing my balance and I no longer opened an account with that representation. Pity; We were working very well and until today the reasons they had for canceling my account are not known. Thank you BanCoppel for your services, there were many years of mutual collaboration in our financial matters. We are going to miss each other......!!!

The Acapulco Historical Museum, located in the pentagonal Fort San Diego built by the Spanish Empire in the 17th century, showcases 13 exhibition halls that comprehensively cover the city's history. The museum offers interesting displays in both Spanish and English on Acapulco's past as a vital port for trade with the Philippines, including information on galleons, cargo, and piracy.
A great place in Acapulco! Few people know it’s the most historical place in this area.
This historic museum has a beautiful art
collection and expositions. We hope they reopen again soon.
The architectural particular style makes it unique also. It is like a star structure. And also from here you have a lovely view of the bay.

Hornitos s/n, Centro, 39300 Acapulco de Juárez, Gro., Mexico
La Quebrada is a well-known tourist attraction in Acapulco, featuring high oceanfront ledges that are famous for cliff-diving shows. Professional high divers perform daily shows for the public, diving 35 meters from the cliffs into the sea below. They must wait for the right moment and avoid serious injuries by timing their dives with incoming waves. The depth of water in the "Gulch" can vary depending on the waves but averages at 12 feet.
Climbing down the steps were scary and then up was a workout! But it was an amazing experience to see how the brave men dive into the waters. Please make sure to donate at the end. These men do an amazing job at making sure you enjoy the show!

Family water park with wave pools & hardcore freefall slides, plus tubing & a lazy river for kids.
El rollo what can I say about this place I've been going for years since I was to small to ride the big rides this is one of those places that your really just have to see and check out for yourself it's well worth it just make sure your kids are taller then 48in if not they still have plenty of rides for the little ones and two little water parks not far at all from all the action. One of my favorite rides is El racer you basically control the speed the harder you push off the faster you go and if you paid attention in science that's an advantage as you know when to pull up and drop your weight.
Aye yoo let's go — Google review
The river ride was the best! There is less stringent rules here and a lot more fun to be had! Unfortunately not everything was open and some things looked rundown.
I would encourage El Rollo to do a little more maintenance and upkeep and this place could be five stars.

It was a fun place. I just didn't like the fact that the water rides were only open at certain times and would be rotated every 2 hours. I wish all the rides were open at all times the park is open, and we get to choose which water slide to ride next.

I visited El Rollo Parque Aquatico on January 26th. My family of 6 arrived around noon to rent a villa for the day which cost us 3,500 pesos or approximately $200 usd. The water in the jacuzzi was not warm and when we raised our concerns, we were told that they were looking into the problem. We waited 2 hours for the water to warm up and in that time the jacuzzi was checked 3 times. When we asked for a refund we were initially told that it was not possible because two hours had already lapsed, and that if we wanted a refund we should’ve asked for it when we first arrived at the villa. Instead they offered a 50% discount on our next visit, which needed to be by March 15th. That was not an option because I live in the U.S. and do not plan to come back to Mexico until next year. We insisted on receiving a full refund because they had us wait for the water to warm up, which it never did. In the end, they did issue us a full refund. We had to pay for the food and drinks we consumed in our short time there. I am very disappointed with our experience at El Rollo Parque Aquatico because I was told very good things about it and decided to visit while on vacation. They could’ve at least offered us free entry into the water park so we could enjoy what was left of the day, but unfortunately they didn’t. Hopefully others have a better experience than we did.

Very fun for all ages. They have many slides in all sizes. There is a really fun kids zone and even a toddler zone. I wish I had more pics of the slides. You can take your own food but certain things are not allowed inside the park for example glass, foam cups or plates, and speakers. Also if you take your own beer there's a fee you have to pay for each can you take into the park.

(Translated by Google) Terrible service.
When we arrived at the facilities we went into the pool and it was all dirty, full of leaves and animals, the water was more than freezing, after two days the water was already more than cloudy. At the beginning of renting it we were told that the pool had a heating system, when we arrived it was not working and there was not even an intention to fix it or clean the pool.
There is no water to bathe in, as well as hot water, the bathrooms smelled horrible, the locks in the rooms didn't work, the door practically stays open.
There is no towel service, there is no cable to watch television and the televisions don't even work.
The showers are covered and with a small stream.
The rooms are very small.
The sheets were dirty.
The Internet is more than terrible.
Lots of infestation of animals, you barely sit in the hammocks and spiders already fall on you.
The parking lot is too small if it is for more than 5 people/families.
They do not have staff service to do the cleaning (you have to clean yourself)
It is not as shown in the photos, the place looks more neglected and too small.
I do not recommend this place for vacation at all. A more than dissatisfied experience.

Botanical garden with regionally themed sections, seasonal blooms & a restaurant.
Beautiful park and well maintained. The only thing is the cars that drive people around unless you have an older or handicap guest don't pay for is a waste of money. The restaurant wasn't great to busy and should have some one serving instead of everyone opening lids to see what was offered.

Lovely gardens, staff is kind. My only recommendation is to rent transportation since the beginning as the weather is really hot. Meal at restaurant is high quality and very visual 👌. Don't forget to use a hat /humbrella and sunlight protector.

A very beautiful and well preserved collection of botanical gardens with the most typical styles from around the world. The place is quite big and it takes from 2 to 4 hours to walk across all the gardens and visit the open spaces that the place offer.
The entrance cost appear to be a little expensive but it's really worth it, it's almost like entering to an amusement park.
You can pay an additional amount (50 pesos at this time) to use the internal transport which I recommend if the weather is hot or if you are visiting the place with kids or elder people.
Food from the restaurants inside the park is really expensive and it's not that good, a lot of people were complaining about the taste of the dishes, beverages are not included in the buffet. For food I suggest to go to a nearby town, Tequesquitengo which is 10 minutes by car from the park where you can find much better food with much lower prices.

The buffet has nothing for kids unless they eat Mexican food, only no burgers or chicken for kids . Then I got a bill that we paid and said pay . The waiter came back to tell us that we owe him 445 pesos because he didn't charge us correctly , even though his service really stinks . No refill in water , no checking back on your guest , just waiting for his tip without service. It's a great strategy ! 👍 Them we went to the park and 10min into the walk started to rain cats 🐈 and dogs🐕 . We had to leave due to the weather no rain check for you to come back because you couldn't see the place due to weather . They should have a policy if you come and can't enjoy the park for 2 Hours a least. You should get a return check for your next visit it will be the correct way to handle guests' complaints!

The place is nice, it is very well taken care of and you can see several plants. If you're into such well "groomed" gardens, this is the place for you. The WOW effect were the orchids and the cactuses. Easy to get to. You have to wear masks also outdoors. The buffet restaurant is nice, food is good. Drinks are not included.

Wonderful place to spend the day walking in magnificent gardens! Though a little bit expensive to get there, it was worth the trip! I will love to go back in another season of the year to enjoy the blooming of the different gardens!
I even enjoy an unexpected dance show from Veracruz state. Very, very good!
Bring your children! They will love discovering the different environments!

The buffet is delicious and not expensive. The gardens are amazing! It's really a nice place to go for a walk and have fun. You can learn about plants, flowers and trees; and the landscapes are marvelous.

Fantastic experience. Incredibly interesting exhibits and some very colourful sights.
Everyone gets a free plant at the end of the visit, too, which is a bonus.
Be mindful that the food, drinks and souvenirs are quite expensive so prepare for the heat by bringing your own water.

This place is good for the experience but in our case were wait for hours for plane and after jump. Once time in the earth, we were wait for more hours by the videos and photos for that pass to the cel and the usb. The experience is incredible but the attention is a little bad.

I would improve a little bit their logistics but the fact that I am back after skydiving with them makes all the things before that to be forgotten. The experience is incredible, I was a little afraid to do the jump but my instructor calm me and handled all the jump smoothly. Definitely an experience you should have at least once in your lifetime. Get there with at least half an hour before your appointment and be metalized to be at least 3 hrs more after you get scheduled for the jump. There are only beers, soft drinks, food and snacks for sale, so if you are looking for other drinks just be prepared yourself.
Milton Mora — Google review
The dive was amazing... my guide speaks English and he made the instructions very clear. I opted for 3rd person camera which cost 1350 pesos, worth it.. the diving video is of 90 sec long... But there were few more videos where they captured the flight take off, me preparing for the ride, how I felt before and after the dive...
Our flight took 6 clients (us) and 8(crew) members... Take off and watching your friends jump were the frightening things... Once you jump it's just the adrenaline rush on seeing the amazing view and the spins were awesome
(free fall spin - first 6sec,
initial mini parachute spin, you being horizontal to the earth trying to float - next 45sec,
finally the last spins with the parachute, you being vertical controling the parachute to have a perfect landing)…...
Try to take a slot which is afternoon or late morning.. the brighter the sky the better...
Also the place offers food and drinks.. they are affordable and the service is quick...

Skydive Mexico is one of the best and literally the cheapest sky dive experience in the world. Its located at Emiliano Zapata 19, 62680 San José Vista Hermosa, Mor., Mexico and is 2 hours drive from Mexico city on the Acapulco road. The drive is smooth and depending upon the crowd you can complete everything in 3 hours. The divers are extremely experienced, very well behaved and fun to be with in the overall experience. Don't miss this if you are in Mexico. The place also offers souvenirs and light munches. Overall a memorable place.

Conservation-focused zoo home to hippos, big cats & hyenas, offering hands-on feedings & safaris.
The giraffes came right over to us and ate through the sun roof! Capabaras were so cute and we could pet them. Hippos were awesome, loved the habitats in the drive through areas.
Simone Brown — Google review
We are big fans of Africam Safari in Valsequillo, but we loved the closeness with the animals in Zoofari. We loved to feed a giraffe (this king of experiences have an extra cost in africam). Save food for the last part, we ran out of food and Animals are very keen for looking for food from the cars and constantly close the way for you to stop and give them food, you need to be careful
Arturo Aldave — Google review
The place is beautiful, and the experience is amazing with the smaller animals they have roaming.
You then get to see buffaloes/bison, deer, zebras roaming around in herds and relaxing. It was splendid to get to see them in real life and see that they are being taken care of so well.
* Spacing issues:
However, it instantly became evident that not all animals get the same treatment. Big animals are in very small spaces, it was heartbreaking to see the majestic elephants, hippos, big white lions, dromedaries, chimpanzees, and hyenas in small spaces.
Two big hippos in a smaller pool, the elephants each had a small space where all they'd do is walk around in circles. The "Zoo" area (after the safari), had animals boxed up too including a cassowary, smaller birds and goats.
They are trying to work towards preserving endangered species and I fully support this, but I can't unsee the unequal treatment ESPECIALLY towards the species they are "saving". I attached some images so you can all appreciate the chimpanzees (there were about 5 total in that semi circle of grass and one threw a rock at us, yes he missed by a lot and there was NO DANGER), but I don't blame his anger)
The 2nd star is only because the "safari" area that have species like white dear, buffalo, and wild goats is huge and great. But not all animals get to roam around freely and enjoy a bit of "freedom".
The rest of the animals suffer all day and they are all pacing, back and forth, back and forth. Leave them in nature if you will have them in a box until they die.
* The GOOD (mostly the beginning of the tour "Stage 1"):
The safari space and tour is amazing. There are animals roaming around, and you can interact with them such as geese, swans, capybaras, Patagonian maras, they sometimes release the giraffes, wild goats that all want you to feed them. This was an adorable experience that I will forever cherish.
* Staff and information:
The staff is very friendly and informative, but the areas of the zoo don't all have information about the name of the animal in the tiny cage. I'd like to see the name of the species and what their habitat is, diet, mating information, etc.
* Pricing:
There are too many bad reviews for pricing. The price is fine and accessible, and knowing that your entree fee is used to maintain such a beautiful environment for animals and to feed and care for them should discourage people from complaining about things being expensive. Organizations that preserve wildlife don't have that much support and we should make that change with at least not complaining about entree fees. donations are welcome to help these creatures out.
I had high hopes for this place. I am sure that with more support and donations they can continue to improve. So I welcome you to visit and have the experience of your life and share feedback like this with them.
Kay C — Google review
Face masks and social distancing not enforced... most enclosures are shamefully too small and some animals look bored and have open sores... I refuse to take my kids to zoos because of the cruelty but was convinced to try here... although it is better than zoo's it does not go far enough... adjacent land would be cheap and should be purchased to give, especially the big, animals more space to run and exercise.

Santa Prisca de Taxco is a prominent landmark in the town, featuring a majestic and opulent baroque architecture dating back to 1758. The church's facade is the standout feature with its elaborate Churrigueresque belfries contrasting with the simple yet elegant nave. The rose-colored stone used on the facade adds to its exquisite beauty, while inside intricate sculptures and gold-covered altarpieces are equally fine specimens of Churrigueresque art.

What a beautifully designed church. It is the heart of the town. Beautiful Inside and out. Once inside everywhere you lay eyes on you see intricate designs. The silver Virgen de Guadalupe is life size and is a testament of Taxco being the capital of silver of Mexico. Zocalo, Taxco is home to the stunning Santa Prisca Church, a religious building known for its Spanish colonial Baroque architecture and interior covered in gold. The area also offers affordable dining options and a cable car service with scenic views. This magical Mexican town is nestled among mountains in Guerrero, offering delicious food, picturesque spots, and pet-friendly locals.

Plaza Borda, also known as Zocalo, is the heart of Taxco's local life. It features the stunning Santa Prisca temple and holds historical significance as the former residence of Mr. Fidel Figueroa, an American painter. The house, known as the House of Tears due to its history with mistreated Tlahuica people, now showcases art donated by Figueroa to the government.

Cristo Rey, also known as Cristo Monumental, is a must-visit spot in Taxco for breathtaking city views. Perched on a hilltop, it offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the city. While some visitors hike up to reach this stunning viewpoint, others opt for a short taxi ride. However, safety concerns have been raised due to some visitors standing on the fence for better pictures.
Great view point of Taxco. Definitely don't attempt to go on foot, you'll need to go by taxi. It's worth the trip! You don't get hassled by vendors either. There is also a photo spot where you can lean over the edge and get a good photo, but there is a guy there trying to make money from it. We gave him money for taking our photos.

Great views of the city. Too far to walk and definitely don’t drive. The roads are narrow and windy and mainly only have room for one car at a time so many times someone has to back up to allow cars going the other direction to pass. Worth a taxi ride.

Take the little van bus or "combi" from the Zocalo (catch it right near the steps of Santa prisca) each Combi will have a number of destinations written on it, find the one with teleferico written on it.
The bus waits about 10 minutes in the zocalo and then takes off with a few stops on the way up the steep steep streets to the cable way. The cost is eight pesos and you don't have to pay until you get off if it's crowded. If it's not crowded and the driver the money at a convenient time for him.

This park offers tours of its gardens & impressive cave system, one of the largest in the world.
Coolest caves I've ever visited! The place is *massive*. Unfortunately they did not have English-speaking guides (which are mandatory). Would have been cool to have geological explanations for some of the crazy rock formations we saw.
Note it is very humid in there so you will likely be hot. In January, shorts and t-shirts still had you sweating a bit. Street footwear was sufficient.
Guillaume Labranche — Google review
Amazing natural caves with a 2km walking tour of two hours (1 km each way). The entrance fee is 100 mxn per person with additional cost for restrooms found both at the entrance of the park and midway through the caves. During the tour the guide will be explaining details and sharing interesting rock formations. The tour is through a well laid paved path without any significant climbing needed (the few areas have paved steps to go up). - Note that tourist must stay on the path at all times.
Overall a great experience and the reason for the 4 stars is the tour group size (probably over 100 people) which means it will be hard to listen to everything the guide says. - Note that private tours are available.

A delightful creation of nature, striking in its scale and beauty. A magical place where you feel like you’ve accidentally visited the underground giant kings.
With all this, this place is perfectly equipped and even with children, traveling through it is safe and easy.
Unfortunately, I simply forgot to buy a permit for “professional filming,” so don’t blame me for the photo...

The tour guides are not by any means giving you an in depth scientific explanation. They mainly mention interestingly shaped structures but that's about it. With that being said, it's fascinating! Definitely worth the trip.
I suggest you take public transit or the buses that leave from the "Costa line" bus terminal. $44 pesos per person on those buses, the public transit doesn't pass by too often.
Don't be afraid to ask the locals for your best option in regards to getting there's majority of locals are very hospitable and honest!

Pictures do it no justice to this place. You will pay about 600 Mexican pesos on tolls if you decide to drive from México City to the caves. Plus another 100 pesos ~ $5.42 USD for the entrante and ~ $3.00 USD to park.

ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!!!!
Seeing such a place from photos is absolutely NOTHING. One can never grasp the real feeling of that 85 million year old cave, the feeling what you get when you are walking there for 2 km, when the air gets thinner and thinner and you breath heavier and heavier. But the feeling is absolutely overwhelming. How small and insignificant one feels in that cave is absolutely unbelievable. It is a majestic and wonderful place to go to, an absolute must when you're in Mexico. The private guide is extra 400 pesos, but it is so worth it when you have your own tour guide for your own group.

It's huge! Prepararse for a long walk(2km one-way and you have to regresar via the same route)! But I think the feeling of walking inside the cave, especially on your way back with the silence and emptiness around you is an one-of-a-kind experience and unforgettable.

Best national park tour available! The tour guides are not only informative and knowledgeable but sprinkle in family friendly humor throughout to keep it interesting. Be prepared though the trek is long but the guides constantly check in with the group to assess the overall stamina and give plenty of heads up as to how much longer the tour lasts. The views of the cavern are breathtaking as the guides really know how to keep you engaged throughout the tour.

Biggest and most extensive cave system I’ve ever been it, it did not disappoint. I also rode a zip line which was fun.
When you go in to buy your tickets you can also find fun excursions.

The caves are a sight to see, it is worth the trip, I have visited it several times.
There are some additional things to do around, but not that important
Warning:
1) the food on the small restaurants is expensive and not recommended, it's ok but not worth it.
2) the caves are hot and humid, and it's a long walk, make sure to have lots of water
3) they charge you for using the restroom, so bring change (coins)
4) it's hot outside, so if you brought a car, make sure to cover it, so it won't be too hot.
5) the road has a lot of curves so be careful or you will get dizzy
The trip inside takes about 2 hours, so get some snacks

Wow! If you're reading this, stop, get in your car and go visit this place immediately! I've been to a lot of caves, including many wild caves. This one is just gobsmackingly astounding! The tour is 2 hours long. It's not as cool as some caves, and is very humid. Bring decent footwear; the walkway is good, but is wet in spots and can be a little slippery.
150 pesos for adult admission.

It was a great experience with my family in Mexico to visit this amazing place. The reason for the 3 star is that every thing is so expensive to buy anything in here even a beer is 35 pesos like in the beach and you can't drink it anywhere you have to stay there in the business what is funny because in Mexico anyone drink anywhere even inside the car driving so what's the point

I gotta say, i wasn't to sure what to expect from this place since it's out in the middle of nowhere-svillle, but I'm glad I was able to experience this amazing ecological park and cave. We did this on our way Taxco, Guerrero; México.
The opens around 10-1030ish and there is a fee to park ($50 MXN, $1 USD). Just be prepared to get swarmed by vendors selling trinkets and what-not. It is the culture here, however I got used to it.
To get into the caves there are guided cave tours ($8 USD, $150 MXN per person). Our guide was excellent, she explained the history of explorers and how the cave came to be, the inhabitants of the cave (bats), and some science of the minerals of stalactites and stalagmites. She spoke enough English to explain some things as well.
There are also other activities like Ziplining where, instead of walking across the bridge to the cave, one can Zipline across which i think was $60 MXN.
This trail is about a 4 KM (2 mile-ish) walk in dimly lit terrain in a humid enclosed cave, so if you or someone in your party is not into that you're able to turn around. Also, there are about 100 steps towards the turn around. BE PREPARED WITH WATER!
Once done with the caves, thee are so many vendors selling coco frío, micheladas, and other excellent foods. We ended up at Fonda Mary that made excellent, fresh quesadillas, tacos dorados, and so many other delectable foods.
I highly recommend this experience if you're on the fence about doing it.
