Absolutely breathtaking. A must do for all of Brisbane's inhabitants.
The journey to and from is quite the experience too. Hop a passenger ferry ride from Cleveland to North Stradbroke Island, services available 7 days a week and about 15 bucks a head (students get half rate). Vehicle ferries too are possible, but be prepared to dish it out (about 70-100 bucks each way) and would need to be booked well in advance.
Comfy ferry ride! Stay inside with some a/c on your face, or get adventurous and get some gale strength sea air puffing out your cheeks on the top deck seating area. I've heard that one of the ferries even has a café of sorts. Ride time - 45 mins.
The bus journey (Go-cards won't work) is $10 for the entire day, as many bus rides within the island as you please, again 50% off for students. Get ready to walk a fair bit within the island, though, as buses may not be around every 10 mins like in the city.
The bus journey from the ferry point ends at North Straddie's gorge walk. Ride time - 30 mins~.
The gorge walk - The sights are too pretty to be true. Our attempt on a mildly sunny day produced crystal blue ocean waters, refined golden sands, and sculpted cliffsides that are simply too beautiful to describe. The gorge walk takes about 20-30 mins to complete and is a fair stretch to your legs (especially if you're lugging around some food and drink).
You finish the trail almost at where you started (it's basically a big loopy circuit on the cliffside) and camp it out with a picnic sheet on the grassy banks overlooking the clear blue sea. Sightings of sea turtles and whales are quite a common occurrence. Mind the 'roo poo, though. Plenty of fellas hopping around, with a blatant disregard to the touristy kind, carrying on with their business!
End the day with a dip in the sea, the Cylinder beach is about a 45 min walk/5 min bus ride (if you time your journey right - we didn't!). The indoor showers/changing rooms at the beach could be a little better maintained, but to be honest, it was really no big deal!
All in all, a Saturday well spent. Happy days!

Crystal clear water, beautiful place to visit. It's a shame they charge 25 dollars for the bus!

Huge beach with lots of space, this was the nicest beach we found on the island. The swell was pretty strong though, even though it looked calm.

Perfect beach for toddlers - small waves and soft clean sand. On a weekday in Feb there was plenty of parking making it a short walk.

A great not-overcrowded place to hang out at the beach! Great waves for surfing. Beautiful Sunset!

SeaLink North Stradbroke Island
Ferry service
Transportation
Ferry rides to North Stradbroke island, known for its lakes & beaches, with an on-board cafe.
Super awesome service from ticket purchases to getting on and having a safe trip thanks again for an awesome time

Great trip over and back. Need to improve the coffee. Had a small flat white, like warm milk. Very much under extracted. You have the equipment just need to train the staff.
Andrew Retchford — Google review
This was our first trip to Stradbroke Island in nearly 50yrs!!! The trip over on the ferry was great and we enjoyed a good coffee & croissant served by really friendly staff as we relaxed in the cafe until time to disembark. We enjoyed our visit to Brown Lake - spine to a local lady about the origins of what the place meant to them (birthing place) Enjoyed the stroll along the beach & the fish & chips lunch. We even witnessed 3 whales playing out in the ocean heating south!! Great day trip - will return again - hopefully not so long between our next trip

Have travelled on the vehicle ferry twice in the past 2 weeks and although we always find the office staff and checking in staff extremely helpful, both times we’ve been very disappointed with the attitude of some of the staff directing us onto the boat. Clearly they don’t want to be there but no need to take their frustrations out on the customers. Has made the experience unpleasant to say the least.
Philippa Telfer — Google review
Was very easy booking & boarding process. Got there early, and the team put our 2 vehicles on an earlier vessel. The vessel had cafe which very convenient & tasty ☺️

Highly recommend for peaceful break , Great beaches/ swimming, dog friendly, good people and great bush and beach walks - food at North Stradbroke Hotel could improve for the high price - Great views, but food at Bowls club much
better and good value.

We had a day trip to Straddie and this is probably the 3rd time we have been there.
Each time we have thoroughly enjoyed our journey, thanks to Sealink.
I have been on 2 different types of Vessel carriers from SeaLink and in my opinion the one with the vehicle ramp has a much better lounge area. Highly recommend the authorities to have more such luxurious carriers.
Having said that, the old ones are good too.
The extra courteous , ever smiling staff on board makes the experience even more enjoyable.

Minjerribah, aka North Stradbroke Island, is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited on this planet 🌏! Some say it has the highest healing energy in South East Qld, and it is home to so much native wildlife and marine life. The beaches are white and sandy, the waters are cool and vibrantly turquoise, and the wind can be wild or balmy but it’s usually basking in sunshine. We’ve been coming here regularly for more than 30 years, and so hope to return for another 30 more!!!
Maya 熒暎 Krikke — Google review
Yesterday we avoided Brisbane’s heat with a day trip to Minjerribah. We took the car so we could have a good look and enjoy the island. The ferries were great - on time, friendly staff, well stocked cafe and clean facilities. Thank you Sealink! We had a wonderful day
Vicki McMenamin — Google review
Great experience on the barge. There are multiple viewing platforms with a windy chill. There is an indoor seating area upstairs to get out of the wind. There is a cafe with food available but it's a short trip over to Stradbroke taking about an hour. Saw a few dolphins as well so not a bad way to travel
Stephanie Reyes — Google review
CFC caught the Minjerribah Ferry yesterday to North Stradbroke Island, to attend a meeting. Amazing service, actually departs and arrives on time. The journey is smooth and you have the opportunity to take in the breath taking views of the Redlands.

The ferry across was great, no complaints. The trip home was late, so not so good ended up over 30 minutes late. North Stradbroke was very relaxing, good camping spots and close to shops.
Rob King — Google review
Fast little passenger ferry to and from Stradbroke island. 40 minutes or so. Bus goes from ferry terminal, Dunwich, to Point Lookout.
Try to get off the ferry quickly to get a space on the bus.
We didn't and had to wait around half an hour on the next one. Nice people on the ferries!
Anthony M — Google review
Easy booking, value for money and an excellent service and very easy travel experience, staff were very professional and knew exactly how to load the vessel expertly. Flexible with needing to change a booking and very prompt and helpful with any communications. We had a fabulous time on Minjerribah (Stradbroke island). Thank you Sealink
This is a brilliant service which runs up the Brisbane river. We took the cat from south bank to north shore Hamilton. A 2 hour ticket was just over 4 dollars for an adult. This also offered a hop on off facility .
Brian Sharples — Google review
Great trip on the river around the city. Nice new and clean stations, friendly staff, clean and tidy ferry's.
BUT NO WAY TO BUY A TICKET.
You've got services, crew on board, lighting and power just put in a kiosk where you can purchase a go card. Extremely frustrating when you are travelling from interstate.
Failing that how about an app on ya fone
Nathan Cooke — Google review
The iconic South Bank Parklands in Brisbane showcases the incredibly scenic river that wanders through the city. Filled with colour, birds and activity, ‘Southbank’ is a fun place centrally accessible to most parts of this beautiful city.
Dean Owens — Google review
Bossy staff, only letting 8 people on the ferry at a time (although the ferry offered much more seats). We waited for half an hour and then still didn't get on the ferry, so we decided to take the bus instead. Bit disappointing.
Place was clean though and offered enough seats in the waiting area.
EdenApparelBoutique — Google review
very nice. we took the ferry from Hamilton down to eagle street pier and is very romantic, we sat outside on the deck
Barbara madsen — Google review
Having recently relocated to brisbane, we spent our morning traveling with the city cat . The staff were absolutely amazing , with the incredible Camille offering sunblock to hubby and me, so that we could continue standing at the front and soaking up the views. She even offered us a cold bottle of water that she brought from home, to help keep up hydrated.
The trip it self was very good, but the City cat staff make the trip an experience. ! Can’t wait for the next adventure with the city car :)
Vicky Houle — Google review
More often than not we encounter a friendly welcoming crew but it’s not an ideal mode of transport if you’re in a hurry and please please sort out the payment method. Every trip we see people boarding and deliberately not paying as well as tourists who want to pay and are obviously confused by the fare purchasing advice, which compared to other services is antiquated and cumbersome. Please introduce EFTPOS facilities, most people have this payment method on them.

Just wanted to say thanks to the very helpful City Cat Ferry Driver (Cheerful, helpful man with Beard) on Eleanor tonight. Just new to city - and knew nothing.
Lovely service.

Good spot to get a ferry up or down the river from South Bank. The terminal is well designed with plenty of space, even when it's busy. There is a ramp for accessibility and some seating. The whole process is pretty efficient. The views from the river are fantastic on a nice day.
Tristan Claridge — Google review
The ferries were good and the crew were helpful. However, we were visiting Brisbane and we couldn't buy a ticket or get one through an app. We had a 10 minute walk to a spot to sell a ticket. Not good enough for the handicapped or seniors.Come on Brisbane this is 2023

This is a review of the CityCats rather than this particular CityCat terminal- which is all much the same.
Riding a CityCat is a must for any visitor to Brisbane and a surprisingly rewarding experience for locals.
This is the ultimate way to see the variety of Brisbane lifestyle, buildings and landmarks in a relatively inexpensive and easy to use service.
Depending on how much have, you can explore Brisbane from the quiet rescue residential area of St Lucia to the busy reaches of the Brisbane river around Hamilton.
The CityCat is part of the TransLink network so you use your GoCard or [or it’s soon to be introduced Smart Ticketing]
Simply tap on and ride the CityCat for the entire round trip.
For example, if you get on at South Bank, go upstream to the University of Qld, stay on the boat and then go right to Hamilton, stay on the boat and return to South Bank.
That round would trip will take about two hours and 40 minutes all up. The off-peak cost for an adult at the time of writing is $3.37.
But you can jump on and off and off and if you get back on without an hour it is considered as a continuation of your journey for the one fare.
The new generation of CityCats has a top deck that you ride on. Otherwise, the front or rear decks provide an exhilarating experience.
Full details of the CityCats are at the TransLink website or the Translink app

This elegant Brisbane casino and hotel has a delightful high tea for mothers, with bubbly wine and delicious food. It's also home to 6 restaurants and 5 bars.
I don't visit here often, nor been since the beginning of the pandemic.
But upon our visit on Tuesday afternoon our wedding, we enjoyed a quiet few drinks and gamble on the floors.
Clean and tidy, with courteous staff.
Can't wait to visit again.

The whole experience was amazing! The rooms are very cool! We had a Parlour King room, and we absolutely loved it. Service was amazing. All the staff were so helpful and polite. We also ate at Black Hide also amazing (especially if you like steak!)
Tip: if you are not a Stars member, go to the Stars desk on the bottom floor of the Treasury Casino and sign up. You will get drink vouchers worth $40 per new member that you can use right away. Also you will get a voucher for a heavily discounted room next time you stay!

Located in the heart of Brisbane, this casino housed within a stunning heritage building is an absolute must-visit for anyone exploring the city. The location is ideal, with easy access to public transport and plenty of car parking options. The casino itself boasts an impressive range of facilities, including top-notch restaurants and bars, luxurious accommodation options, and even live entertainment. Whether you're looking for a night out with friends, a romantic evening with your significant other, or just a fun way to spend some time in the city, this casino has something for everyone. The restaurants inside offer a range of cuisines to suit every taste, from fine dining to casual bites. And if you're looking to extend your stay, the hotel options are top-notch, with luxurious rooms and suites that offer all the amenities you could want. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to this casino during your time in Brisbane.

I stayed in the hotel with my daughter for her birthday. We booked a king parlour room with breakfast included. We found parking easy and affordable, on check in we were told we were gifted a $50 food/beverage credit for any bar / restaurant in either the hotel or casino. We were also given a late check out of 12pm without asking which was very much appreciated. The room was perfect. The breakfast included a choice of one cold and one hot dish from a list of each. The location was perfect. The staff were all very helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Ah the sounds of casino winners all around. Sadly, not me. I may as well have thrown my money on the floor and gone outside to enjoy the velvet evening air.
On the plus side, there are tons of slot machines and it’s a lively place. Join The Star Club for some good perks.
Helen Darbyshire — Google review
Look, great hotel, service was perfect, you can hardly fault the place, but a word of warning to anyone looking to hire the Casino Suite here. DO NOT let them give you room 3250! The room itself when you walk in is amazing, but upstairs there is an ensuite that has a continuous running water issue in the pipe in the floor. You can hear it..... ALL NIGHT. I asked them to check and they say it is normal. I couldn't sleep a wink and closing the door did nothing.
Like I said, the place is amazing though, just stay away from that room.

Amazing experience staying at The Treasury! The rooms (and the ceiling heights!) were incredible, and the vibe of the whole hotel was relaxed and welcoming. The staff were all phenomenal, particularly Grant (concierge) and Christina (restaurant). Grant anticipated all our needs and was so personable. Christina was such a lovely and attentive waitress. Plus the food portions included with the breakfast were huge! The hotel is also very close to the Botanical gardens and to all the food and shops, so a great location for us. The whole experience was great - we'll be staying here every time we go to Brisbane from now on.

The Treasury Hotel was the perfect choice of hotel to stay for our wedding. The staff were more than helpful and nothing was too much to ask. They did everything they could to make sure our stay was perfect.

Superb location, nice staff, amazing architecture (back to 150+ years ago - high ceiling, dark wood etc)
Very convoluted structUre, it’s 2 separate buildings with parking in between (under a park that separates buildings) it’s hard to find your room, reception, restaurant, parking, lifts, gym, everything.
Lighting inside the room was way less than enough. Had difficulty finding my stuff in the early morning.
Will I stay here again? No
Will I come again for a visit or nice meal/coffee? Definitely yes
Maryam Hajiaghaei — Google review
The Casino itself is old and rundown, hence why it is being replaced I guess. Carpet and general interior needs a renovation.
Lack of selection with electronic gaming machines as well, heavily focused on dragon links, dollar storms and bullfighters.
Tables are still good, though hard to find a spot when it’s really busy.
Service was great, had some really friendly and professional dealers, particularly “Den” was great. Personable, fun and respectful all at once.
Beverage options extremely limited, same as catering options.
All in all a good experience but bring on the new casino.

We stayed at the Treasury for one night in the hotel suite and this place did not disappoint absolutely fantastic the moment you walk into the building it feels very luxurious and welcoming, staff behind the counter were very friendly, professional and ready to help as soon as we walked into the reception room could not have asked for a better experience.
The room itself the first word I could say was , was blown away how beautiful the room was you could see why it's a 5 star hotel. The room was huge, spacious and just felt like it's own luxury apartment, the bathroom was absolutely stunning the bed was huge and super comfy. All we could say was love love love this room
The Food was Amazing so delicious again could not fault and the room service was fantastic.
The Lab restaurant was super amazing the staff again all very friendly and very professional and free breakfast really blew us away we were so amazed and the food was super fantastic my hat goes off to the chefs it's definitely topped my list as the best place I've ever had a free breakfast that came with a hotel stay.
To the staff all we could say was thank you for the most amazing experience we've ever had staying at a hotel

I've been here many times. Great atmosphere and great food. The reason for the 4-star rating is due my recent experience (April 2022), where the meals all came out at different times, waiting at least 5 to 10 minutes per meal, meaning people started eating so as to not let the food get cold, whilst others watched. Other than that, perfect.

This was my first time here. I mainly just wondered around and played the poker machines. It is such a beautiful old building I could get lost in there for hours. All the staff were lovely and some even went out of the their way to help us fund certain machines. Will definitely be back :)

The Treasury Hotel is everything I expect but rarely find in an Australian hotel. Housed in an imposing restored heritage building, the hotel and neighbouring casino are conveniently located in central Brisbane. Check-in and check-out were efficient and the staff charming. Our king suite was magnificent in decor and proportions. The room service breakfast was delivered promptly and was good. We loved The Treasury Hotel and look forward to staying again on our next trip to Brisbane. Thank you for your hospitality.

I recently visited the Brisbane casinos, and my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. While the service left much to be desired, the overall building, spacious rooms, and the abundance of slot machines and live gaming tables were impressive.
Let's start with the positives. The architecture and design of the Brisbane casinos are truly remarkable. The building itself is a sight to behold, with a blend of modern and classic elements that create a luxurious atmosphere. The spacious rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, providing a pleasant stay during my visit.
One of the highlights of the casinos was the extensive selection of slot machines. There were plenty of options to choose from, ensuring that even the most avid slot player would find something to enjoy. Additionally, the live gaming tables offered a variety of classic casino games, from blackjack to roulette, providing entertainment for all types of gamblers.
However, the service aspect left much to be desired. The staff seemed a bit disinterested and lacked the warmth and attentiveness one would expect in a high-end establishment. It was evident that the customer service could use some improvement, and this aspect of the experience did mar the overall visit.
Furthermore, it's worth noting that some of the gaming areas felt a bit dated. While the building itself was impressive, some of the equipment and furnishings in the gaming areas could use a refresh to match the modern aesthetic of the rest of the facility.
In summary, the Brisbane casinos offer a unique experience with their stunning building, spacious rooms, and a wide array of gaming options. However, the service quality and the dated aspects of the live gaming areas were disappointing. If you're primarily interested in the ambiance and gaming choices, it's worth a visit, but be prepared for a less-than-stellar service experience.

Took a visiting business colleague for breakfast at LAB. Service was great. Food was excellent. Coffee was hot and I just love the old worldly charm of the place. I feel as though I'm in a luxurious and charming early to mid 1900's Vienna hotel. High ceilings, thick walls and dark wood panelling. Some beautiful old hotels like this in Germany too. An elegance we seem to be missing being such a young country. Only my opinion and some may not agree with me and that is allowed.
Raymond Row — Google review
As you look at the old building from the outside and the surroundings, it seems almost out of place. Inside also has an old school charm as i wonder if the lift will work or should I just take the stairs. The room is big, and the ceiling is high. I sink into the soft king bed with pillows full of clouds and snuggle into the blanket with the air-conditioning on. I fill up the bathtub with bubbles. As i sip on a glass of champagne. In this room, the windows are on the inside, so there is no view.
I give 5 stars to the night manager, who i think his name is Joe. For being very polite as i turned up late from a stressful day travelling.
Overall the staff were nice. Location is easy to walk to places or catch public transport. Parking was not hard to find.

This casino is located in an old building, which is nice and interesting, but it needed to be renovated inside the building for a better atmosphere and feeling. The casino looks too old, low quality air-conditioning with limited table games. Most of the bars look not fancy and/or luxury. This is a place people come to spend money on and enjoy. Hence, it is necessary to evaluate Brisbane casino for sure to grab more people and more money!

What a great experience we had at the Treasury Hotel. We managed to get a great deal online for the weekend, and included parking, breakfast and $50 off our meals at night that we had at the Black Hide and The Fat Noodle over at the Casino.
Every staff member was professional, friendly and helpful, and their attention to detail for our anniversary was really appreciated. We have mentioned our anniversary a few times before at different venues, but there was never any recognition of the moment. We were given a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine on arrival, and our dinner reservation at the Black Hide was also acknowledged with the best seat in the house and complimentary dessert. Then each breakfast we were made to feel a little special as well. Not that we were expecting all of that, but it makes a difference to your stay when it happens.
The rooms were a decent size for 2 people but felt a lot larger due to the high ceilings. It would have been nice to be able to open the door onto the verandah for some fresh air and to be able to appreciate the view outside more, but I guess they are locked for safety reasons. The facilities in the room were pretty good and what you would expect for the price. The bed was really comfortable too. Some areas looked a little tired, perhaps just due to the age of the building, but overall the hotel was very clean, with housekeeping doing a great job in our room.
There was a real sense of nostalgia wandering the hallways and you could imagine what it was like in times past, as they've done a great job of keeping many of the original features and character of the building.
Despite all the construction going on with the new casino, we didn't hear any noise. This might be different though during the week or if you have a room on the eastern side or southern side.
The location is probably one of the best in the city, in my opinion. South Bank is easily accessible, the Botanic gardens are a short walk away, and it's 5 minutes to the mall.
Overall, we had a great experience here and will definitely go back. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Clean and does what a casino does .. win money. Good night here. Some signs for parking would be good. And the bar closes between 5am an 7am.

What an outstandingly high class property without the high end prices. Highly recommend to anyone who likes to enjoy the finer things in life, without the hefty, often out if reach price tag all conveniently located within walking distance of quality shopping stores as well as grocery and convenience stores. Public transport as well as e-scooters and e-bikes are also extremely conveniently located around the premises. Go and check it out for yourself. You will not be disappointed
The Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane is a modern and contemporary art gallery that offers temporary exhibitions as well as a wide collection of works by both international and Australian artists. The Children's Art Centre at the gallery allows kids to become engaged with art through exhibits that are often brightly coloured andboldly designed.
Such a beautiful art gallery with so much history. All the staff are super friendly and are happy to help you. The exhibitions were just amazing! Definitely will be back

Great selection of art and a brilliant way to spend a couple of hours. The gift shop also has some classics with unique covers which can be hard to find anywhere else. Reasonably priced too. Loved visiting, would definitely go back again ☺️

A lot of aboriginal art as you'd expect, some modern European art but not as much as I was hoping to see as I'm interested in all art not just one culture. The tours that explain the art are fab and free so definitely worth doing. You can spend as little as an hour to as long as you want here, depends on your taste. Not good for kids, please don't bring them, there's a café and there's big bag storage. Staff are very friendly.

Stunning venue.
Event - Slim Fashion Awards 2024.
Service was excellent.
On the rooftop there should have been some fans, and everyone could have enjoyed the event without feeling uncomfortable.
Catering - a tad underwhelming, as was sadly very over cooked steaks.

The closest parking lot to the GOMA was closed in Apr-22, we just found parking in a side street nearby.
Very interesting gallery, budget 1 - 1.5 hours to tour the galleries and then a little more for exhibits.

The Gallery of Modern Art is a must-visit destination for any art lover visiting the city. The gallery is located in a beautiful building and is home to a stunning collection of contemporary art.

It's such a nice museum with very beautiful layouts, and the exhibition is so well presented with good commentary and background of the artwork. It's very quiet and there are staff walking around to make sure everything is well organised. There's also a little gift shop, toilets and cloak room at the entrance. The best thing is that it's free!

Nice place regardless of weather condition.
Specious, clean, modern, changes every few months. Great opportunities for yound artist and groups.
Queensland Art Gallery was established in 1895 and moved to its current residence at South Bank in 1982. It was joined by the Gallery of Modern Art in 2006 and the galleries now house a globally significant collection of contemporary art from Australia, Asia and the Pacific.
If in Brisbane it's nice place to visit.

I love the exhibits artworks here, the modern art displayed is tasteful and refreshing unlike most "morderm art" in other museums which is literally trash. I also love how the galleries are setup and the flow of traffic is rather easy and the staff are really very polite and friendly. I wouldn't mind coming back here on the next chance I get to visit Brisbane

This is my favourite gallery/museum in Brisbane by far. It always seems to get a good set of exhibitions each year and has built a good collection for the free parts of the gallery. Kids love it, and there are always good activities for them. Great restaurant, too, but you need to book!
Myles B — Google review
As someone who loves art, I was delighted to visit this free art museum in Brisbane. The collection is impressive, with a diverse range of artwork from both local and international artists. I particularly enjoyed the contemporary pieces and the thought-provoking exhibitions that challenge traditional ways of thinking. However, compared to the Queensland Art Gallery, which is also free to enter, I found that this museum lacked some of the depth and breadth in its collection. Nevertheless, it's definitely worth a visit, especially if you're on a budget and looking for a cultural experience in the heart of the city. The museum also has a gift shop where you can pick up a souvenir to take home. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would recommend this museum to anyone looking for a dose of art and culture.

We bought tickets for the exhibitions on display eX De Medici and Michael Zavros which were both excellent. The gallery spaces are fantastic, modern, spacious and easy to navigate. The staff were very helpful. There is a cloak room, an excellent cafe, and a shop on site. There was only one other free exhibition which was a little disappointing but such is life.

Yesterday I check out the Fairy Tales Exhibition and I had an amazing time there. I especial love the Labyrinth, Mirror Mirror & Alice in Wonderland exhibitions.
And hope GOMA might do more movies or tv series displays in the near future. Maybe do a Bridgerton display with the costumes and props from the tv series. I would love to see that at the Gallery later on. Thanks everyone!

Roma Street Parkland is a 16 hectare urban park located in the heart of Brisbane, Australia, designed by Lawrence Halstead and opened in 2001. The park features display gardens, waterways and an amphitheater and is popular with locals and tourists alike for its relaxing setting, excellent wildlife spotting opportunities, playgrounds for the kids, music festivals and alcohol consumption.
These are exceptionally lovely gardens. So peaceful and relaxed. Easily accessible from Roma St Station. It was so wonderful to be able to walk around and see the plantings and watch the lizards. Had a beautiful few hours here. Many beds are in full bloom, with others not far away. Fragrance permeates the air and whether or not you are a gardener, it's a good place to be. I use a mobility scooter and the accessibility is excellent. There are lots of places to sit and just enjoy the views.
There is a playground and lots of picnic areas.

I think Roma Street Parkland is underrated! It’s so beautiful here and so much to explore. So many spots to sit and have a picnic as well. The fountain is absolutely stunning.. and there’s even penguins. Just kidding but the ducks are so cute. Not really too many places to park but to be honest this is the first time I’ve been here so didn’t look too hard. There’s even a few playgrounds for kids too.

I love this parkland. It's much bigger than it looks and there is plenty to explore, with footpaths and bridges taking you on different routes. There is also a nice flattish area of grass where you can enjoy a picnic or some sports. Overall really chilled place to spend a weekend or after work

Amazing public gardens. Many beautiful lush zones to explore, it rivals most botanic gardens we've visited. Two small, but very cleverly designed and lovely play equipment spaces. Again, clean and well maintained. The larger of the two is aimed at younger children and my toddler and baby had a wonderful time exploring the space. The pathways are clean and clear, the whole park was immaculately maintained and tended too. We saw lots of cheerful workers who were all happy to stop and wave and chat to my 2 year old who was fascinated with their ATVS and bright uniforms. There was a more than ample amount of BBQs and covered picnic tables. Parking was easy to find on street within the park and we paid a very reasonable $5 an hour and were a three metre walk from the bridge entrance. Our only complaint was that the Parkland Explorer train is no longer running, it's been moved out to the Ipswich Rail Museum. It would have been absolutely magical to ride the train through the park and we very much hope it is reinstated soon!

Amazing with so many beautiful flowers. Easily accessible by public transport and a great place for slightly older people because the walking path will suit their needs. I had an amazing volunteer who explained to me a little bit about history and different flowers there. There's even a children's playground and plenty of quiet spaces to catch up on your reading.

What a beautiful parkland. Bursting with spring colours and plenty of paths to explore. We saw lots of water dragons in and around the gardens and water. Everywhere we went we could hear the sound of running water. Just beautiful. The kids enjoyed a play at the playground and loved all the creative seats and vegetable gardens as well. Well worth a visit.

Exceptional gardens, ingeniously designed planting and layout packs a huge variety of experiences from walking through tree canopies to exploring cool shaded fern gullies with garden rooms of bright flowers and interesting water features. If you love nature and only have time to explore one place in Brisbane this would be my top recommendation. Bring a sun hat and camera! Congratulations to the talented gardens team for their work and to Council for having the vision to keep these gardens so well maintained as the gardens have grown into a superb experience for tourists and residents alike!

Fantastic. A great place for full day out. There is plenty to see and do. The parks are family friendly and there was plenty of seating available at the time of visit. The amenities were clean and functional. They also had disability support available and mothers change rooms as well.
I have been told that there is an excellent guided tour available which makes the Parkland even more interesting. I have not had that experience as at time of this review.

Awesome parkland, lots to explore. The children's play area is good, the water fall was picturesque and the toy train journey was really good for the kids. It had a bit wait time, though, but worth it. The gardens are beautiful. A good place to spend a day.

Absolutely beautiful gardens fitting for a clean city like Brisbane! Lots to do here and easy to get lost in adventure while going for a casual walk. The gardens are well maintained with waterfalls and water park features to provide lush ambient sounds drowning out the city noise. Very relaxing place!

A very relaxing place to visit in contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city. There are multiple zones through the parkland dedicated to different types of garden and flora.
Many flower beds are in full bloom, with others not far away. Fragrance permeates the air combined with vivid colours, which can be appreciated by all.
The park has multiple seating and viewing areas where people can stop and enjoy their surroundings. The one detraction from this is the multiple signs everywhere telling you what you can't do.
Accessibility is good for all throughout the park via wide pathways, which is great for those who are mobility restricted.
There are picnic and fantastic playground areas catering to families. There are multiple picnic sites with BBQs. The playgrounds are integrated with the gardens and the terrain, allowing for a great experience for the younger ones.
There are ample public facilities (toilets, baby change, etc) which are well maintained and clean. There are also cafe/shop options. However, the ones internal to the parkland are only open on weekends.
I appreciated the ANZAC corner, which had a very well maintained area for quite remembrance.
It is a small annoyance, but it is a pity that the external entrances are so far apart.
It is a great place to visit with something new to see/discover every time you wander in.

Kudos to the creators and those who care for it.

Well-maintained and beautiful gardens in the middle of the city. Lots of street parking spots around the gardens, but can get busy on a beautiful day. For a first timer exiting at the same spot as entering can be tricky, so keep note of the entry point.

Really great park. Beautifully manicured gardens. Fantastic lawns to chill on and play sports L. Amenities are clean. Lots of tables and Bbq's. Fun play ground for kids - not big enough though. .I think the only thing that has changed and for the worse is the train costing $6 each to ride. It was gold coin donation just 6 years ago.

A very nice park with only one negative point. Many plastic bottles in the pond and the small creek which are not removed. If you are in a wheelchair you can easily reach certain points on your own when you are sporty, you can for the upper part you need help.

Roman Street Parkland in Brisbane is a true urban oasis, a gem nestled in the heart of the city. From the moment you step into this lush paradise, you're greeted with a sense of tranquility that is hard to find in the bustling cityscape. The park's well-manicured lawns, vibrant flower beds, and towering trees offer a picturesque escape that invigorates the soul. It's not just the greenery that makes Roman Street Parkland exceptional; the thoughtfully designed walking paths, which meander through the park, invite visitors to enjoy a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk, all while basking in the beauty of nature.
The attention to detail in this park is astounding. The playgrounds are a delight, offering a safe and exciting environment for children to play and explore. The benches strategically placed throughout the park provide perfect spots for relaxation or for simply soaking in the serene atmosphere. The water features add a calming element, their gentle sounds providing a soothing backdrop to the natural setting.
The park's maintenance team deserves a special mention for their relentless efforts in keeping the space pristine and welcoming. Their hard work ensures that every visit to Roman Street Parkland is as enjoyable as the last.

Absolutely amazing experience when visiting! Highly recommend for both tourists and locals. The scenery was magnificent. So many different flowers, plants, trees, water features, and little critters were there to soak in!
The sounds of the city are completely drowned out, which contributed amazingly to a quiet and peaceful experience. The abundance of flora made the air smell sweeter and clean.
There is a playground within the area for little ones to enjoy and to give parents and guardians a spot to sit and rest. It was fairly clean all things considered, and hazards are limited.
Multiple events are held at this location throughout the year for families to enjoy, and they're rather spectacular!
A huge highlight of this location is its accessibility. I had 0 trouble getting around with my wheelchair from start to finish. The pathways are wide enough to accommodate more than one wheelchair user side by side, and the steepest hills are still manageable when using a manual wheelchair.
I intend to visit again, and highly recommend this location for all ages.

Best place to get the perfect view of the city. The premises do include some long range binoculars which operated by 2 dollar coins. However if you wanna take some nice clicks of the view, you might need a long range camera as a normal mobile cam gets obstructed by the tree range just beneath the look out.
However the a sunny day and looking out is one of the great things do in Brisbane, if you are visiting. Don’t forget to try the restaurant as well, its quite good.

Nice spot with a great view of Brisbane city. Limited parking at the top when it's busy and not a lot of space to turn around up there. This is a great lookout with an outstanding view of the sea and city. You can park in the car park and walk or hike some of the trails on the mountain. We went down a gravel trail and back up a paved one next to a nice stream. Plenty of birds including magpies and bush turkeys, too. The loop we did was about 5 to 6 km. Great way to see the natural local environment. We've hiked many forest areas and nothing has been like this. A real Australian forest in the city. Go to the top of the summit (we took a city bus) and hike down to the botanical gardens. It a bit of a walk, but mostly down hill. The hike up, especially on a typical hot day would be a challenge at best.

We have booked for the wild dophin feeding but was told to cancel due to some flood reasons. At the island the staff told us that only guest at the resort can book for the feeding. As we are not the guest but on a one day trip, we are disappointed that we are given the wrong reason. Nevertheless we watch from the stand on the feeding. At the same time there was filming.

Fed 2 dolphins. I think the order of the dolphins made it a bit better.
Of the bucket of fish, I grabbed the ONLY wrong fish haha
My first feed was to Echo. Echo was a little rough, scared me because I didn’t expect him to push forwards so much, sort of pushed me backwards a bit.
My second feed was to Comet. I was expecting the chance of roughness so when Comet went for the bite I moved back a little scared that he’d get my hand in his mouth. Although Comet was gentle so I did pull the fish away from him 😅 just glad he was still gentle afterwards and went for his bite slowly.

Rare opportunity to feed wild dolphins right in the ocean by hand. Draws a fairly large crowd but they handle it quite well, especially given that the number of dolphins is unknown each night until they come in for a feed.

If you want a really honest review, read this one. This review is from a P&O customer who came to the island via a cruise. We spent approx 1.5 - 2 hours on this tour. They gave food at the beginning which was average and we didn’t even get a chance to eat much as we arrived ON TIME and others arrived earlier and ate everything. A little disorganised there. Then we sat down for a presentation. Highly educational but not in a boring way. It was a very good presentation. Then we went to the beach and waited for some while to feed the dolphins. All this time you get super enthusiastic and excited to feed the dolphins but unfortunately when you get called, you put your hand in the water, the dolphin eats the fish, and they tell you to get out of the water. Overall you spend about 2 minutes with the dolphins and mind you, you’re not allowed to touch them. The 2 minutes was still great and staff were extremely nice, however don’t get mislead by the way they advertise this tour. This is exactly what happens and it is very unique but at the same time extremely disappointing especially since it is the most expensive tour on the island.
ekaterina chertenkova — Google review
Dolphin feeding was included in our Tangalooma package and it was obvious that many other had the same; after sunset loads of people lined up on the beach to feed a fish to the dolphins. To move all these people through quickly we had to line up in 5-6 queues after which we took turns entering the water. Our dolphin snatched the fish in a millisecond and we had to exit the water to allow the next person in. It was dark and we could only see a bit of the animal in the big lights that were directly toward the water. More of a factory-conveyor-belt than a nature experience unfortunately.

I definitely would do it again - the dolphin experience is something I won't forget and it's your chance to see a wild dolphin up close

Beautiful island. Crystal clear water, beach is never crowded even you find lots of amenities in the area (pool, restaurants etc.)

Great experience. A couple of tips: it takes quite a while to cycle through everyone, so plan on lining up early. We were told 6:15, but line was already 50 deep by 6:10. You can bring your own camera/phone into the water with you as long as its one-hand operation.

Did an Explorer bus trip from the Carnival Splendor today .
The resort is just stunning with a huge variety of activity options & is now on my bucket list..
HOWEVER our bus driver Mark gave absolutely NO narration, information or descriptions on the shipwrecks, history or lay of the land as apparently the microphone wasn't working?
Why the hell NOT❓❓
At $170 for a day tour, we learnt nothing, zero nothing which was very disappointing to all the first time visitors Australian & International visitors. The only reason we learnt anything on the return trip was because a passenger was sitting up in the front seat asking questions..
Brett, the other driver was thoroughly informative & friends on his bus advised us of his expert narration.
A total waste of money.
The lunch sandwiches were delicious!

Unfortunately the dolphin feeding experience was quite underwhelming.
From the photos / videos we’d seen we were expecting quite an intimate experience with 10-15mins in the water with the dolphins.
It was more like 200 people and very commercialised.
There was a HUGE line to queue up. They then slowly checked everyone off a list and made you stand in another queue. Rather than splitting the people who lined up first to the front of the 5 smaller queues (which seems fair) they filled 1 queue and then moved onto the next. It also seemed like the perfect opportunity to get the feeding started so people got to enjoy the experience.
We waited at least 30mins before they then started a talk. At this point everyone was fed up, children were running wild & we couldn’t even hear the microphone. Finally we got 1 fish each and about 1 min in the water with the dolphin. Before having to grab our bags and leg it to the boat.
SUCH an inefficient experience, which felt very rushed and impersonal. The resort could manage the whole feeding process so much better so it was a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.

4 dolphins came in during our feed time. They were very playful. Quickly took the fish from us. My 6 year old was mesmerised by them.
Beaches, dunes, marine life & several shipwrecks count among the attractions at this scenic reserve.
First stop on a private helicopter pub crawl. Unbelievably the “Gillian Island” feel. Would loved to have stayed longer.

Although the place is beautiful, it's definitely not suitable for humans. The weather is as hot as a desert, and you could get a sunburn in just 5 minutes under the sun. People are constantly applying sunscreen and jumping into the water to cool off. Unfortunately, I think this is the reason why all the coral appears to be dead.

I enjoyed my tour, doing snorkeling, kayaking, 4wd trip to the “dessert” and doing sand boarding.
You can just buy the ferry transfer and enjoy by yourself. It’s not that big.
Only way to drive there its with a 4wd car.

My sister and I did a 5 day cruise from Sydney to Moreton Island in Feb 18. A perfect destination for a cruise. Lots for activities on the island for singles, couples and the entire family. A bucket list item for those who have never been. Very beautiful!

Wonderful holiday destination. Very water sports or relaxation orientated. We did a 5 day cruise from Sydney to Moreton Island and return. My sister and I did Quad biking, kayaking in clear kayaks. The fish were amazing to see around the shipwrecks. Finished off with parasailing over the magical blue waters of Moreton Island. Then we cooled off in the beautiful clear waters before relaxing at the island bar and heading back to our cruise ship. A must do! We will be back Moreton Island! You left your mark on us!

We stayed at the resort in July the rooms are nice and tidy and most have amazing views of the ocean .
the ferry ride is enjoyable and the captain points out all the local places on the foreshore which is pretty cool . also they arrange all of the baggage to be delivered to the rooms 👍
the dolphin feeding is pretty amazing and a good chance to get some pics .
all the staff on the island are really helpful and friendly we will be back in summer for sure !
The wifi is super slow but with a beach like that it doesn’t matter !!!

Beautiful island, you need a 4WD to explore unless you book a tour. Equipment hire is quite expensive but worth it to look at the wrecks and thousands of fish that inhabit the surrounding area. Worth a visit for sure!
Unique walkway honoring the namesake pop group with statues, photos & a musical light show.
Great free streetside museum that’s open to the public 24-7! Really cool, commemorating the Gibb brothers careers and rise to fame! At night they boast a light show and there is a continuous stream of their biographies and highlights in an outdoor big screen and of course their many hits! Then you can stroll down the boardwalk at Moreton Bay! Beautiful!

This is a walk way between shops, so totally free. It's set out so well. You can take a leisurely stroll whilst listening to Bee Gee's music which is played continuously. There is so many photos and information to look at and read along your stroll. The status are great and very life like. It is out doors so if raining you will need an umbrella.

Awesome tribute and mini museum to the Bee Gees. Inside not know that they were from Moreton Bay and the entire display was not only very informative but entertaining and organised very well. There is a free light show on every night along with a documentary interviewing the Bee Gees. Great trip down memory lane as my parents loved the Bee Gees and I listened to them as a kid.

Bee Gees Way is located in Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe QLD 4020.
This unique place was put together in collaboration with Barry Gibbs, who is the living member of the Bee Gees.
This 70 metre walk, though Bee Gees Way takes into account the musical history of this fabulous family group of talented musicians, their truly wonderful range of music created over many years together.
You can relax & listen to the many songs & videos that are available 24 hours a day.
The wonderful facilities that have been created through Barry Gibbs & others are definitely worth visiting this magnificent area of the Redcliffe Peninsular.
You can sit down & just take in the nostalgic range of everything that the Bee Gees had to offer over the decades past.

A successful street montage on the life and lives of the Bee Gees, the three Gibb brothers, and the family's ups and downs. This is a very honest presentation that benefits from have time to read the details. Very positive, can get uncomfortably busy and cramped. The tinny music is a bit too much. Good to see the display is lovingly maintained. Definitely not a fake.

Zero acknowledgment of the original indigenous people of the area. No mention of their tribal names, languages, sacred places, artefacts or cultural perspectives on history of the area. Too much emphasis on the triumphant achievements of the European settlers (invaders). The place needs a complete overhaul and rethink

Interesting artefacts from Bribie Island history such as growth of tourism and arrival of holidaymakers via the popular steamboat ferry. There is an informative display about Bongaree who was Mathew Flinders travelling companion and the man who the town is named after. Feline lovers will appreciate the exhibit about Flinders seafaring cat Trim.
Take in the sight of a variety of sea creatures preserved in specimen bottles.

Kings Beach is a seaside district in the Sunshine Coast Region of Queensland, Australia. It lies due east of Caloundra CBD and had 2,788 residents according to the 2016 census.
Australia Zoo, located north of Beerwah in Queensland, is a renowned tourist attraction and wildlife park founded by the late Steve Irwin. The zoo houses an extensive collection of animals from all over the world, including crocodiles showcased at the famous Crocoseum, dingo dogs and Tasmanian devils. Visitors can also enjoy exploring the Cambodian-style Tiger Temple and seeing a variety of critters such as hairy-nosed wombats.
Such an amazing place to visit, especially having always been a big fan of Steve Irwin. It's a beautiful zoo, so well maintained and a great variety of encounters to choose from. Entry is a bit pricey though, especially with a larger family and all children above 14 requires an adult ticket.

Not only is it huge but the quality and cleanliness of each exhibit was impressive.
The shows were wonderful and I highly recommend you go to them all.
It's a very big so, so if you have small children with you make sure to get a pull-trolley which also has storage and drink holders.
The food has improved substantially since my last visit.
A great family outing and must for all Australians and tourists.

Definitely recommend visiting the zoo at least once. It will need a full day pretty much to cover the entire zoo and view most of the shows - with the crocodile show being the highlight that can't be missed. The cafe is very average and just fills your stomach to get you going. Recommend bringing your own food. But a great enjoyable experience overall.

And, if you know the Irwin family, it's an extra treat if you see them. First trip and planning our next one in a months time with all the family. I'd say it's worth purchasing annual tickets.

Visiting Australia Zoo was one of the highlights of our trip. A good escape from busy Brisbane City.
The animals seem content and the premises well maintained. Easy access in and out-with ample parking. Main restaurant had typical fast food and restrooms were available just below.
Watched a show but think that it could do with some improvement-the human side. The animals performed 100%!

It was first our visit to Australian and we had such a great experience. Spent about 5 hours walking from one section to another. So big variety of different animals, fantastic show with the stories about them. Huge territory with lots of cafe, water drinking stations, toilets and souvenir shops. Beautifully maintained, very spacious, the animals are well taken care of, even the shops are great.

We were so impressed. Importantly, there were happy, healthy animals and reptiles. Happy staff, who love their work. The thought behind tributes to the country of origin, including Africa and Asia was well considered and a welcome experience. The care to alleviate stress for the animals, in the landscaping and running water was equally thought out. We went weekday, there would have been hundreds but it's also so well managed throughout, it still felt like a personal journey. Thank you Irwin's and staff 🙏 bravo

Our third or fourth visit over a period of 15 years and this place just gets better & better! The gardens are stunning, the animal enclosures seem to just blend in and the whole place is beautiful. Really impressed with how clean the entire place is, and all the staff were friendly & seemed very happy. If you are trying to keep costs down, pack yourself a byo picnic. There are drinking fountains about the place too, to top up your water bottle.
Such a huge variety of animals, all so well looked after! Really impressed! Try to set aside a whole day (but you could do it in half a day if you didn't linger at every enclosure).

Very well presented zoo. Friendly staff, great family vibe; the toilets have great kid’s facilities, very well maintained, clean. Huge variety of animals that seem well looked after. $199 family of four cost. The restaurant was a little in on the expensive side and we were a little disappointed with the crocodile element of the main live show. We did have high expectations. There was an extended ice breaking crowd interaction element and lovely unexpected birds show, and appreciate working with live crocodiles wouldn’t be easy, but the shows ending was a little of a let down.. we were still sitting, wondering if in fact it had ended. It was like the guys suddenly just decided it was the end and the crocodile had had enough. The use of video and extra AV is a nice touch, especially as you get to relive Steve Irwin’s incredible passion for wildlife. Overall well worth it, just a little let down by the croc show, probably due to having had such high expectations

The day was great from start to finish. The animals were great as I had hoped but it was better than that as the staff were truly invested in the well being of the animals. I was very surprised with the food for the humans as well. I am a bit of a problem being gluten and lactose intolerant but was able to get a great Caesar chicken salad my wife had a beef wrap both were a good size serving and for a very reasonable price. This is certainly one of the best parks in Australia.
Everything is very well conserved, the animal's hair is treated better than that of many women out there (sorry girls).
Everything clean, and very organized.
The coffee is good, restaurant is great as well and staff is really friendly.
The only thing I missed was cold water to drink along the park. But you can grab ice from the coke machines in the restaurant.
Besides that, everything was simply perfect in the minimal details (almost like Disney).

I HATE zoos in general as they are usually extremely sad places for wild animals to live BUT Australia Zoo has been on my bucket list for years because of the amazing work Steve Irwin and his wonderful family are doing to help animals on this planet. I've watched the TV shows and knew I had to visit. I was NOT disappointed! The enclosures are large and clean and made interesting for the wildlife that live there. The Zoo is well run, well designed and the animals are all happy and healthy. The zoo-keepers seem to genuinely love their jobs and the animals in their care; they were extremely informative at all the feeding sessions. Oh, I miss Australia, we were just getting to know it a tiny bit. I want to go back! That being said, it is nice to be home! One place I really enjoyed was the Australia Zoo home of the Crocodile Hunter. When we pulled up, I admit I was a bit skeptical. A zoo, really? Then I saw the entry price and nearly fainted. An adult ticket is $70, $60 for senior (68 and up) or student. On the way, I was looking at their restaurants and was equally dismayed at their prices! After experiencing about half the place, seeing a few of their daily shows, and learning about their shared passion to preserve the natural beauty of native wildlife, I have a whole new attitude! I love the place! The admission may be a bit pricey for a zoo, but it's a small price to pay for entry into the world of the Irwin family and their commitment to preserving global wildlife! As for the food, we only sampled some of their carnival type food. It was very good and freshly prepared. Well worth the price. Their 'sit down' restaurant had offerings you might only find in the fanciest of places. While I originally thought $100 per person was a lot for a 'zoo' I realized that in any amusement park in the states you'd spend that much for a couple bottles of water, yesterday's burger, soggy fries, a soda, and an ice cream sundae. It is also encouraged to bring your own food and have a picnic lunch! Oh, and unlike the airport, they let you bring your own water and even have filling stations for free water refills. So, if you should ever find yourself near Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast of Australia, do make the trip up to "Steve's place"! You'll be glad you did!
PS plan to spend a couple of days if you want to really experience the place! They have two day passes for just a few more $.
The SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium provides a fun and educational experience for children with its diverse displays and engaging programs. Although it may be pricier than other zoos and aquariums, the seal show is a cool highlight. However, it can get crowded in the seal show area despite requests for social distancing. Booking ahead makes entry easy and the friendly service adds to the overall positive experience.
Great day out for the kids booking time made it easy to get in and the service was very friendly. The seal show was great and the new penguin 🐧 area was interesting. All the displays are well thought out and there is heaps to appreciate if you take a closer look.

Amazing place to take the children. A little bit expensive compared to other aquariums and zoos which had more to look at. The seal show was cool, however expect to be crammed in like sardines. They request everyone to be 1.5m but we were almost sitting on the next persons lap at the seal show, a bit pointless having the set times as it was jam packed in there.

I haven’t been here since I was 7, it didn’t disappoint as I’m 28 now and loved it all, from the petting tanks to the seal show, and all the other exhibits. Had a fantastic day, about 3 hours spent in total. Would recommend

Nice couple of hours with the kids. No food kiosks in there anymore and all OK to bring your own. Animals looked very well looked after. Seal show was lovely, very informative. Make sure you pre-purchase tickets. Happy days

There are no wheelchair car parks. Staff suggested stopping in the loading zone, unloading and then parking. There were buses parked there though so stopped in the road. Also I shouldn't be leaving my client alone while I park the car. We enjoyed the seal show.

The behind the scene tour was informative and interesting. Amy was friendly and knowledgeable.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time here. it didn't appear to be crowded as we walked around the aquarium. Seal show was fun and entertaining, advise you to get there early as the stands full up quick.

What a great way to fill in a few hours on the Sunshine Coast, especially on a hot or rainy day. It is advisable to buy tickets online and arrive early to avoid crowds. The staff are helpful and friendly. There are many tanks full of wonderful sealife, from starfish, seahorses, jellyfish and lobsters. There are penguins, seals and frogs. Of course the seal show is a highlight as well as the shark under water tunnel. So many giant stingrays and sharks as well as turtles and giant gropers.
Kids and adults will have a ball. There is a cafe and air-conditioned playground for the kids.
Such a great outing and definitely recommend visiting if you are at the Sunshine Coast.

The aquarium was quite small. However, it was packed with interesting exhibitions. The conditions of the sea creatures looked fine. There were quite a lot of visitors even during weekday to my surprise. The show was interesting and the penguins were really cute !

Nice little attraction up the coast if you're holidaying for a few days. Always quite busy. We went on a weekday not on school holidays and was still a bit pokey to navigate with staff and other patrons. It's expensive for what it you get. Id find the kids would be just as interested looking around rock pools. The staff weren't overly friendly. The seal show is a highlight but I think they need more interactive experiences.

Absolutely love the place!
Have been here many times,
Here are some of the great things:
Amazing food - doughnuts there are great!
Amazing staff - well maintained area too!
Amazing views - great for taking photos
( I have some linked to my profile,
feel free to check them out! )
Lego exhibit they had was amazing too :D
Would come back again many times!

A true sunshine coast must.
I love how much love there is and how content all the animals are. This is my fourth visit and I'll continue to come back with my family! It's small but enough. Penguins in mating season has an interesting aroma lol ! 🐧

Amazing time at Sea Life again today. Did the shark dive extreme activity and it was wonderful. Training was direct and clear with good examples. Staff were extremely knowledgeable about both the animals and diving which was a great combination

Recently did the Shark Dive Extreme at Sea Life and it far exceeded my expectations. I would especially like to thank Charlie and Joel for their clear instructions and information during the dive. At all times I felt safe, had fun, and felt like I learned so much. The experience itself was a once in a lifetime sort of moment with sharks swimming mere centimetres away from me. Highly recommend if you are thinking of doing this.

This is our 4th annual pass. We come up from Brisbane very often as it is just such a wonderful visit. A must visit for everyone regardless of where you are from, and what age you are. Need I say anymore really?

We love going to sealife with our little girl. It's free for her whilst she is under 3 so we got annual passes. Great experience for her being able to teach her about marine biology and conservation. We went on a Monday this time straight after school holidays finished lot of other preschool aged kids but wasn't to bad. Been told Sunday afternoons are quietest time which we usually try for.

Buy your tickets online in advance. Great experience for little kids. For adults you would get through it in a few hours. Seal show is great, you can get a photo with the seals too. Nice gift shop and the staff were all very friendly.

I loved our visit here. Only stayed an hour, could easily have spent more time. I was really surprised how much sea life was on exhibit. My only complaint was that the cuttlefish tank seemed a little small for the poor fish.
craig bennett — Google review
We took two toddlers today and they had an awesome time. The exhibits are colourful and full of underwater life. The seal show was a favourite and good fun. Before we left we wandered through the gift shop, which had a good array of T-shirt’s, toys and knickknacks. Definitely worth going, no matter what your age! 😊

Sea Life aquarium is a wonderful place to see marine life and even some freshwater fish and creatures. Plan on 2-3 hours. Though not outdoors or spread over several acres, the spaces are well utilized. Very child friendly but also very interesting for adults of all ages. It can get crowded by noon. Maybe try arriving around noon and staying for the afternoon after all the early birds head out for lunch. Lots of parking at the wharf area. But probably gets full during holidays.
Andrew Brueske — Google review
Very busy on the weekends, so plan accordingly, was very difficult to find a car park.. for those with sensory issues, parents are not overly concerned about their kids wildly screaming and running around, and the tunnel can make you feel weird. All animals look well cared for, and the touch pool was a bit bare but still interactive and fun. Most staff engage with you, some more shy than others. The seal show was good. I would have loved it to be a bit longer. Seal photos are $30 per person. Overall, it was a great experience. I do appreciate the work Sealife does.
Take away: buy sustainable fish and always put your rubbish in the bin 😉
Charmaine Harris — Google review
First time here. Full of colour, very organised, well structured, (additional payable options available inside depending what more you want to do). Very clean and easily to follow route and takes 2 plus hours ( if you attend the tunnel tour and watch seal world show, as well as some other activities included in base price).
A lot of the interactive stuff however just didn’t work on the day of visit which was a pity because they promised so much and I felt it lacked a bit of the big WOW factor in comparison to similar type venues.
Mooloolaba Beach is a trendy and vibrant seaside location featuring upscale resorts, chic shops, and open-air restaurants with cocktail bars. The beachfront esplanade presents an array of foodie temptations while the patrolled beach offers breathtaking blue waters and pristine white sand. This destination has been voted one of the best on the Sunny Coast, attracting travelers with its holiday ambiance and frequent sightings of dolphins and whales.
One of my favourite holiday destinations.
Beautiful beaches, lots of nice shops and good restaurants around.

A beautiful family friendly beach to visit either when heading up further north or local travel from Brisbane. Beautiful white sands and perfect water temperature and lots of food options for kids and everyone right opposite to the beach.

A big yes for an Family Beach Holiday time. Very busy during public holidays for sure but live the energy here.
About 2 hours up the coast from Brisbane.
Parking is not easy (always) but it helps save much time and effort if you just drive straight to the paid indoor parking for a flat rate of $12.5 then all is good.

My favourite beach anywhere in the world. Large horse-shoe shaped beach with beautiful sand. Two areas patrolled by lifesavers. One closest to town has nice waves, but is very busy during peak seasons. At the opposite end of the beach it's a lot calmer and family friendly. A great beach to walk along any time of the year. The local council has done a great job in recent years to improve the board walk and esplanade. Love it!

Love this beach! Beautiful family spot but swim between the flags as there are loads of rips and submerged rocks. Very rough swell so good for boogey boarding. Low tide reveals many hidden rock pools. Lots of shells and pretty rocks!

This is our second time back at Mooloolaba beach and we are so happy to be here. The beach itself is centrally located with the surf club, shops and food outlets a stones throw away. There are plenty of tables and grassy areas for a picnic. The lifeguards usually patrol here when you swim between the flags. It’s a close walk to accommodation such as the mantra and others. Parking is relatively easy with a few parking lots close by.

Love this beach, it's got everything - showers, toilets, surf club, undercover eating areas, playground, plenty of parking and it's close to a tonne of shops.

Beautiful beach. Yes there's a safe and patrolled swimming area. However, I tend to walk along the beach to where it's less populated. Lots of space to sit, read a book, watch the surfers, explore the multitude of rock pools that expose themselves at low tide, close my eyes and listen to the ocean. Or grab an ice-cream or take-aways from one of the many restaurants and sit on the beach. Or watch an amazing sunset, moonrise, whatever! Love this beach!

Love the vibe, but still prefer Sufer Paradise in Gold Coast. There were not many shells and the sand texture seems different from Surfers’s Gold Coast

You have to ask !
Assistant was too busy chatting to notice that we had been stood waiting for ten minutes !
They would sell more, if they had samples out for customers.
Thank you for your reply.
Maybe you could ensure that there is an assistant available at all times, to help customers….as I would have made a large purchase.
However, she was far too busy chatting for ten whole minutes !!!
We won’t be back.

Skip the ginger factory across the road and come here instead. You can see into the warehouses of how they make and process these wonderful macadamias. You can even get a free sample if you smile and wave to the chocolate maker. The macadamias were amazing, we got the dark chocolate ones which were sublime. Everything is also well priced!!

We visit often. We all know macadamias are awesome, the variety of flavours available is mind blowing. I'm slightly addicted to the Maple Pancake ones. Just so good. All the staff are wonderful, Kate in particular shines, what an asset she is! Ohh and try the scones! Yum!

Nutworks is opposite The Ginger Factory. The staff there were pleasant and gave us some tasting of different flavours of macadamia nuts. There's different packaging and weight for different flavours of nuts probably depending on their popularity. Further in, there's a chocolate production too with many different flavours as well. Money well spent.

Visited today and the products are always amazing. Over the years it has always been a fantastic place to visit.
On this visit, our first in quite a while as we live interstate now. The team there are amazing. We came over the road from the Ginger factory and realised we were only about 20 Minutes from their closing. To the teams credit and Jaidene in particular who made us feel really welcome and non stressed. We were so happy to get brilliant service and helped us to have a great visit and buy lots of wonderful treats to take back home with us. (Most will / might make it home).
The Garden Cafe is also a great feature and really blew us away with how it is looking. It’s such a nice atmosphere enjoying a great coffee and nibbles amongst the plants.
A credit to the lady who has arranged them and put them into an array of displays. We would happily buy many of them if we had the chance.
We will be back again and really loved the feel and experience. Made our day, thank so much.
Theme park with displays about ginger, train & boat rides, a tropical garden walk & concessions.
What a fun morning out we had at the Ginger Factory. Entry is free to get you into the shops and cafe inside. You can buy tickets for various rides and tours.
We went for the ginger factory and tasting tour. Cost $56 for 2 adults and 2 children - I feel that it was well worth it! They talk you through their history, how they grow and process their ginger, and at the end, a tasting of a few different food made with various ginger products. Eye opening how versatile ginger can be!!
James, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable & has such a fun upbeat personality, which made our morning so much more fun.
Definitely try their various ginger ice creams sold at the food court - we tried the ginger beer sorbet (a hit with the kids), ginger macadamia & ginger cappuccino (my fav).
Loads of space and activities for families with younger children.
There is also a nursery for you to buy ginger plants - they have gorgeous flowers!! Very reasonably priced.

Amazing place for a day out with kids. Lots of activities depicting what and how they perform their operations. Lots of local honey with different flavours available. Ginger beer tasting. There is a beautiful rainbow umbrella walkways besides the restaurant for photography. The restaurant has a small but nice menu and the staff are very accommodating in all respects. To conclude there is a something for everyone no matter the age.

Have been here many times but this time my friends and I went on a package deal and toured the Ginger Factory proper, the Beehive tour, and then, after lunch we went on the train and into the boat.
The only thing I will say is that the Beehive lady doesn't need a microphone. But her love of bees shone through and if anyone can get us to but a hive it's this lady.
I had great trepidation about the boat thinking it was just for kids. But I had no idea that we'd be on a floating boat and going around the world made up of 250+ puppets made by locals. Sometimes these things look like they need some TLC but everything was in working order, freshly painted, and just so much fun.
We had lunch with a water dragon couple, went through the shops at the back and left at 4pm.
The only thing that spoilt it was the fact that during mandatory mask using there were 5 couples with 10-12 children between them who didn't wear masks and we were in the vulnerable age group. Wearing our masks is not going to keep us safe from your breath going into our eyes, the most absorbent part of the body.
The guide said he couldn't control it but we were told no mask no entry so why couldn't the Ginger Factory tell them to don or leave?
That was a wonderful 5hrs taken up along with 4hrs return trip drive. Plus goodies that we normally don't purchase.
Super day just before the weather bomb.
How lucky were we!!!

We had a family reunion late last year and decided to stop by to entertain the kids on our way back from Noosa, what a wonderful idea that turned out to be!!! It was our first time visiting the Ginger Factory - the kids had a ball and so did we. There's lots to do and lots to see. Loved the train ride and watching the kids take it all in. Overboard was the highlight of our visit as we got to do the boat rides and fit our families in 2 boats one after the other. Definitely coming back! We had a quiet ride home as the kids were zonked and slept all the way home 😴. Worth the visit and fairly priced for what is offered at the The Ginger Factory 🤩☺️

Wow! We took our elderly father for his weekly out-n-about and the Factory was amazing. I learned a lot from the factory tour, watched the young kids enjoying themselves, and the adults relaxed and unstressed. The gardens are well maintained and amazing. The faculties clean and hygienic. The food court was fabulous and for the first time in a long while, I have to remark how well kept it was. The tables were quickly reset and cleaned with staff removing empty plates and utensils unnoticed. The food selection was boutique, a bit on the pricier side, but we happily paid for the quality and efficiency. We absolutely loved the factory tour, our guide was informative and engaging, and the food tasting at the end was professional and well thought-out. The ginger tidbits were delicious and besides the cheaper factory sample pack we ended up buying lots more from the gift shop to try our hand at some ginger recipes later at home. We planned to stay for an hour, but Dad wanted to see everything! He adored the August art fair. Four hours later we left totally satisfied with our experience. Very worth the entry price. One suggestion for management is to have a look at the railway crossings which are difficult for small-wheeled mobility chairs to negotiate. A minor point that detracted little but a point to consider if you need wheelchair mobility. Highly recommend we will be back!

Th Ginger Factory is a lovely place to visit with the whole family. It has a soft play area with ball pit, for the little ones, babies to 5 years, and for the bigger kids there's a good playground with tunnels and slides and also a jumping castle. All pram and wheelchair friendly paths and free entry! There are beautiful art displays, great photo opportunities, exquisite gardens, and nature friendly with heaps of bearded dragons and birds. There is a tasting room, walks, little shops, a great eatery, a gelato bar, and of course, the very popular train that goes around the park.

We had so much fun there. Highly recommended for people with children. You will enjoy it. We purchased the bundle tickets. So, we participated in every single paid activities there. We love everything except farm your.
Just a little bit about farm tour. To be honest, it’s nothing really. I don’t recommend you buy a ticket to see it. It’ s just a very small room with some old photos (you can’t social distancing) and you watch vdo about its history. Then look out for machinery from windows. Lastly, taste a little bit of some products.
I suggest the Ginger factory should open a gallery and dedicate some areas for educating people about your history and how to grow ginger and ginger flowers. People can walk around and spend sometimes learning about your factory. 😊

The Ginger Factory in Queensland is an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped foot on the premises, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made our visit truly exceptional.
What sets the Ginger Factory apart is not just its fascinating ginger-themed attractions and activities but also the incredible food experience it offers. The on-site restaurant is a hidden culinary gem, serving up an array of delectable dishes and some are infused with ginger flavours that awaken the taste buds.
The commitment to using locally-sourced and fresh ingredients was evident in every dish, and it truly elevated our dining experience. The attentive staff made us feel like honoured guests.
The knowledge of ginger and its culinary possibilities added an educational element to our meal.
In addition to the food, the Ginger Factory's café offers an array of ginger-inspired treats, from ginger ice cream to ginger beer tastings that are simply irresistible. It's a paradise for ginger lovers and food enthusiasts alike.
Our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated and friendly staff who made our visit unforgettable. The Ginger Factory's emphasis on hospitality and the culinary journey it offers make it a five-star destination that we can't wait to visit again. Whether you're a ginger enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable dining experience in a beautiful setting, the Ginger Factory is a must-visit in Queensland!

My 10-year-old daughter enjoyed it as much as we did. It was a little expensive for 2 x adults & 1 x child = $147.00 which allows you to go to the Factory & Processing Tour, Live Bee Show, Overboard Boat Ride, and a ride on the Ginger Train. We also got to do a free ginger and honey tasting. The people giving the live tour presentation were very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about ginger and the number of different varieties of the plant and the processing of the product as well as how bees pollinate and make honey and what bees do in hives. We didn't have to wait too long between rides or shows as we got there late in the afternoon, but I would expect long wait times if you turned up early in the day. Like most places, the food and drinks available to purchase are expensive and I wouldn’t want to do it in the middle of a hot day, so we did it in the middle of a hot afternoon instead 🥵

Noosa National Park is a large and picturesque area that offers a variety of outdoor activities such as mountain summit walks, coastal trails, wildlife viewing, and swimming opportunities. It boasts magnificent views of the coast, including the chance to spot dolphins. The park can be reached via a beautiful boardwalk along the coastline from town. At the entrance, visitors can find free walking maps and information on koala sightings at the Noosa National Park Information Centre.
This place is more beautiful than they seem in photos. Trekking route is mostly covered by trees. You can stop and enjoy good views in many spots.
I am so sad that I could not see most of the park because I could not park my car. Hours wasted... I see from the reviews that this is the case almost for all weekends. So, if you visit here at the weekend you should arrive before 8am in the morning. Or park your car far, take a bus/uber.

Gorgeous national park and one of the most easily accessed walk ways into the park itself. Recommend coming here early in the morning for the sunrise and to avoid the crowds. Beware the other holiday makers that will crowd the car park up. The beaches are gorgeous, if a little flat, so they're perfect for families or individuals who aren't interested in pushing themselves too hard. No flag or lifesavers so it's best to play it safe

Noosa National Park on Queensland's Sunshine Coast is a coastal paradise that captivates visitors with its natural beauty. My friend and I use the coastal route and we are satisfied with our decision. This is the recommended route because most of the walkways are even and cost least energy to travel (except the Sunshine beach, Alexandria Bay and some paths have stairs) but still can enjoy picturesque beaches, scenic walking trails, and breathtaking ocean views. The coastal track offers panoramic vistas and chances to spot dolphins and whales (but really rare, I don't have a chance to see them but hear their sound from a distance near Dolphin Point). The park's interior trails showcase diverse flora, fauna, and iconic landmarks like Hell's Gates. Well-maintained facilities and knowledgeable staff enhance the experience. People can still choose to experience Tanglewood walk and Hill walk but remember to follow the instructions along the way, do not walk alone and bring enough water with you. Be mindful of crowds by visiting on weekdays or arriving early as well. Noosa National Park is an enchanting destination for nature enthusiasts and have a great trip!

Magnificent views with 5 excellent walks of varying lengths. Parking can be tricky as the car park fills fast and early (by 9am). There is also street parking for about 30 cars but it's 2 hours so you need to be mindful of that. Having said that most walks/trails can be easily completed under 2 hours.
The coastal walk to Hell's gate is brilliant as is Alexandria beach. There is also a very small trail right at the entrance of just over 1 klms but it's brilliant also. We did 4 out of the five walks in 2 days followed by an hour or two cooling off at Noosa Beach. The water was 26 Celsius...
There is also adequate toilet facilities at the entrance and all walks are well signed. Enjoy.

An incredibly beautiful National park in the heart of Noosa. Absolutely stunning coastal views from all vantage points, and a walk for all fitness levels. I took the no.5 route to make the most of the coastal views, which was around 10.5km or good quality walking tracks.

A beautiful national park with good walking trails seeing fabulous views. Wear polaroid glasses for better viewing. We were able to see turtles swimming and a pod of dolphins. Definately recommend walking the trail and wear swimmers so you can swim at one of the beaches if you like. There is a dog beach on the southern end of the park at Sunshine Beach. Beautiful beach, great surfer place and even better a bush walking just close. Noosa Heads National Park has everything you need for’ family fun.

It feels wild to give this wonderful national park a star rating - as it is a six star just for the nature itself! An easy walk but can get hot. Pack water, go early to get parking.
WelL maintained and busy. Good for a walk, decent for a run. Super early mornings are my favourite

Small but beautiful National Park only minutes walk from the town centre of Noosa. Constructed board walk makes access easy for all ages to enjoy the serenity and stunning scenery. Don't forget to keep looking high into the treetops for the ever elusive koalas.

The Noosa National Park is absolutely gorgeous. The coastal walk offers such incredible views of the ocean and hidden coves along the shoreline. I definitely recommend doing the walk if you visit Noosa. It takes around 2 hours each way and does get at little rocky and unstable towards the Sunshine Beach end. But it is totally worth it.
Sophie A — Google review
Such a beautiful national park, the water is so clear and it's in turquoise colour. There're a lot of different walks to choose from but personally I think the coastal walk is the best. You can spot some whales during the migration season. There's also a fairy pool here, which is pretty cool, bring a swimwear if you'd like to do a dip! Definitely child friendly but dogs are not allowed here. Public restrooms are available. There's an information centre at the start of the walk. Parking can be hard to find if you come late.

The Noosa National Park walk/hike turned out to be a fantastic experience. With several trail options to choose from, I had the luxury of exploring the park in very pleasant weather. The symphony of bird songs accompanied me along the way, creating a soothing atmosphere.
To my delight, luck was on my side as I spotted a kangaroo during my walk. While I wasn't able to capture a photo, the memory remains vivid. If you're planning a visit to Noosa, the Noosa National Park walk/hike is a must-include item in your itinerary. It's an experience that showcases the park's natural beauty and wildlife, making it a perfect addition to your bucket list.

Had a lovely stroll through this national park. The car park gets quite busy. This was our third day attempting to visit the national park (due to parking difficulties). Lots of camper vans when we arrived at 6.30am however we were able to get a parking spot this time which was great. National park was very busy even this early in the morning. Lots of people running and walking, often had to move out of the way. Overall a nice morning out

Bring sufficient water if on a hot day! I walked from Sunshine beach to Noosa heads and only saw 1 water station over 10+km! Breathtaking views

What a beautiful national park. Multiple walking trails with amazing views. If you are looking for an active activity to do with the family, I would highly recommend a visit here. Lots of places to stop along the walk including secluded beaches, fairy rock pools and viewing docks. Making it to the peak at Hell's gate is well worth the trek. Be warned, it gets busy so if you can walk here instead of drive that is definitely the better option as finding a car park after 9am will be hard.

The walking trails are great but I wish we could of downloaded them prior to going so that we knew what we were really in for (appreciate this might exist already but didn’t fond it easily).
Anyway, this is certainly worth doing if you can appreciate a good view and some natural beauty. Pack enough water and maybe a snack!

Excellent walking tracks, spectacular views and fantastic swimming and surf beaches.
Only downside is that it can get quite busy on the trails and parking is difficult in peak times.

Wonderful place. I loved this Noosa National Park a lot. Walking around the forest and ocean road. There are some routes, I choose the two route - Tanglewood and it took around three hours.
The famous shopping street Hastings Street in Noosa is a popular destination for dining, nightlife, and resorts. It's located on the beachfront and lined with boutique shops, restaurants, and bars. Many establishments are wheelchair accessible, making it an ideal spot for all types of visitors.
Great shopping street one block off the beach. There are two free parking lots and one paid parking lot two blocks off the beach.

Hastings Street is at the heart of Noosa retail, restaurants, beach and Nat Park. There are a plehora of eateries and upmarket retail and it's easy to combine time on the beach with a stroll down Hastings Street before choosing a place for lunch or dinner.
It's often very busy, and while there's parking on the street, there are two good sized free public car parks adjacent Noosa Drive just near the corner of Hastings Street and Noosa Drive. Midday is busy and parking can be tricky but earlier morning or evening its very accessible.

Many nice and beautiful shops adorning the streets left and right. Plenty of parking areas. There's a number of eateries like restaurant and food court along the street. Plenty of seats too. Nice ambience and clean area. The shops sell stuff a bit on the high side probably because a lot of landed properties surrounding the area. Good vibes though.

One of my favourite places in Australia. Something special about this street.
It can be pricey, and it's also full of yuppies, but it's always kind of been like that.
Lots of nice boutique shops, as well as access to one of the nicest busy beaches in Australia. There are very nice boardwalks nearby too!

One of the few quality and accessible north facing beaches in Australia, accessible from the towns mains street and large enough to find your own piece of paradise. A must visit on the Sunshine Coast.

the first time i went there in 2016 , this place is very peaceful and quiet , suitable for families go there to relax on weekend. Love Sunshine Coast , love Australia ❤️❤️❤️
Dr. Ken — Google review
What an amazing and busy north facing beach. Wonderful deep sweeping beach with lovely beach and sand. So much space for beach goers with warm clear water. We went in February/March and the water temp was 26/27 degrees. The beach is patrolled every day and safe for adults and kids. Just read the beach report which is updated every day and situated near the flags for the patrolled area.
It's a gorgeous beach, with gentle waves surrounded by the national park on one side and Hastings Street and more natural beauty on the other.
It has good amenities (including indoor and outdoor showers) and plenty of beach side eateries along the board walk. Parking can be tricky at the beach but there is large amounts of public car parking near the corner of Hastings and Noosa Drive just before the roundabout (see pics) which is just a 1 minute walk. It's close to the perfect beach.

Beuatiful beach. If you drive right to the end of Hastings Street and park in the second parking section, you will be able to find trees to use as shade, which are only meters from the surf

Awesome beach! Very active surf club, safe place to swim between flags 365 days of the year! There is a board walk you can leisurely stroll to nearby parks. Main street nearby, so easy to grab a bite to eat. To the right is another walk to the national park. To the left is walk to dog park and the lighthouse. All these paths are paved! Beach waves are small, so makes for a relaxing swim :) highly recommend

Words are not enough the describe how amazing this place was! The water, surroundings and busyness was perfect!
Known for its "moonscape" appearance, this popular sandy area features cliffside views & recreation.
It's a short walk from Cooloola Drive to The Sand Blow. There are some steps to climb and uneven ground but it's not too difficult to make it to the sand blow viewing platform. From there you can look out to the ocean although you get better views if you walk out to the edge of the cliffs on the left. To the left there are also suitable spots to sand board. As you look out and walk over the spot you'll see that the sand is a mix of different colours and quite pretty. Note that it is a little more difficult walking on sand, so keep this in mind if you decide to walk down.
Ness Fez — Google review
This a great place to view sunrise or sunset. The view is stunning. It's also the start of the great walk. The carpark is not very big so get here early if you want a spot during the popular times. Kids will enjoy sliding down the dune on boogie board. Walking back up the sand is a good workout
Michael Jones — Google review
The unspoilt Carlo Sand Blow is one of the gems of Rainbow Beach. Less than 1km easy walk leads you to this beautiful sand haven where you can catch a gorgeous sunset view. There is a deck at the end of the walk to be able to leave your shoes (just be careful stepping off the deck as I managed to slice my foot on a rock, and it is quite a bit step down). Also, make sure you get there with good time for sunset, and have a torch to walk back as the path is quite dark on the return. Do not miss walking up here - and if you're on foot, be prepared for quite a steep hill on the road up to the sand blow along Cooloola Drive.

One of the must visit tourist attractions in Mission Beach. I visited mission beach without any planning and didt know this place until I asked the receptionist.
You will be enter from the cooloola great walk trail and take about 20mins to get there
When I arrived I was amazed by the wonder of this place, a sand hill all the way down to the sea.
You can see a lot of people paragliding there but from the notice board that you will be required to do so.
Overall, I'm impressed with this place
Neo — Google review
Amazing how wide an area of sand the place really is. If you walk closer to the ocean you can see the paragliders take off too. Not far from the car park at the top of the hill, some steps mean it is not that pram friendly but can be done as they are not long.

Amazing. Love this location at sunset, and it can get quite busy here with people coming to have a drink and watch the sun set! Fun to boogie board down the sand dunes and wander around, see the water and beach below. It's a short walk from the carpark through the bush (300ish metres or so, maybe?) with some stairs along the way. Love this spot!

Beautiful, recommended to everyone heading to rainbow beach.make sure you visit early in the morning and late in the afternoon to enjoy the beautiful view of carlo.the sand is super duper hot in summer time so make sure wear a tongs or shoes.

Absolutely magical experience we went for sunset which I just would highly recommend I have never seen views like it. From where you park your car, you do have to walk up quite lot of stairs and not so flat surfaces as someone with mobility issues I did struggle at times only due to the length of time it takes. An Australian 5 minutes is more like 10 to 15 minutes. The stairs are not steep but as I have chronic nerve pain so walking can be difficult at times i did find all the uneven surfaces and walking up a hill difficult. The views were worth it though. On our return we had to walk in the dark luckily we all had phones so we used the torches so be mindful of that when you go to see the sunset. But if you go to Rainbow beach this is a must!
We had a great experience feeding the wild dolphins. We were lucky to have a Mum and baby come in too. $10 a fish to feed the dolphins. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and gave a very informative talk whilst waiting for the dolphins to arrive. It's a very well run procedure and all the volunteers work well to make this a unique experience. My only suggestion would be to try and repair the small ramp that goes to the beach so the elderly and disabled area little safer. The Cafe was well run & pancakes were delicious.

We had an amazing time here, staff and volunteers are just amazing and bubbly. Unfortunately we didn't eat here but the food looked good. We attended the dolphin feeding and even got up close to feed them, wow so much knowledge was given about these beautiful creatures. No pets aloud as its inside the establishment.

Awesome experience feeding dolphins here. There are limited spots and it costs $10 per person. Come early to make sure you get a spot. Also, there is heaps of parking nearby. Once you get a token, you’re definitely going to get the opportunity to feed the dolphins as they only provide enough tokens- so you don’t need to be scared or rushed! The staff are all very friendly and courteous; they educate you about the history of the place and the dolphins’ names and lives, then they also make sure you are comfortable and safe during the feeding!

Feeding the dolphins was a great experience. All the volunteers were very informative and lovely to talk to. The cafe staff and food were nice. I do think there should be a much wider cement path for the safety of all the visitors to pass to and fro from the feeding area. And especially on a busy day (ours was apparently quiet) it definitely warrants another toilet.

The deepest lake on Fraser Island, this small, spring-fed attraction is popular for swimming.
If there was ever an entrance to heaven (or it ever existed), it would probably look like it!
An underrated location, mixed with lake on the one side, and the ocean on the other. Yes, you can't see much under the water, but it's still possible to swim in it (just watch it, it gets deeper quite fast when you swim towards its centre. Just watch the fish :)

The lake was okay. We thought it was average compared to some of the other lakes on the island. There were lots of fish in the water and it looked like a great spot to swim. The short hike to the lake from the beach was a nice little walk.

Lake Wabby is not bad, if you have no places to go, then check out this lake.
The lake is quite small but has a lot of fishes in it, I counted 5 big catfish and numerous other fishes.
Just remember there is a little bit rotten smell likely from the dead leafs and trees, so get used to it.

The walk from the lookout to the lake was a little harder than we expected, but so very worth it. The catfish in the lake are not in the least put off by human presence and are wonderful to watch and swim with. There are definitely dingoes nearby, as evidenced by the footprints we saw heading down the dune to the water's edge, so it pays to remain vigilant. The water was warm and delicious to swim in. Such a quiet and special place!

You can drive here more than 70miles direct at the beach. More challenging is the driving through the sand trails inside the island. Speedlimit inside is most of the time 30km/h. It is only allowed to drive the beach at low tide and not at all through the salt water. Really a fun but be cartefull and watch out for creeks comming from inside. You need to order the car right in advance.

The most blue and crystal clear lake I’ve ever seen
Jasmine Zhu — Google review
Lake McKenzie makes it probably the most visited natural site on the island. It is a ‘perched’ lake, which means it contains only rainwater, no groundwater, is not fed by streams and does not flow to the ocean. The sand and organic matter at the base of the lake form an impervious layer, preventing rainwater from draining away.
The sand here is pure, white silica and is not only beautiful to look at but feels beautifully soft to walk on. The sand acts as a filter, giving the water its clarity and helping to make the water so pure it can support very little life. The blues and greens of the lake are endlessly fascinating and it’s well worth getting up early to look across it in the soft light of dawn.
I have been here many times and it has always been an incredible place to be, but this particular visit was different as its the very first time I've really seen the true colours after receiving my colour correction glasses (I'm a colour-blind)... what did this mean?
Hard to describe but it's like visiting for the first time again... Simply mind-blowing!

Fraser Island is renowned as the world's largest sand island and a popular destination for camping and eco-tourism. Visitors can explore forests, encounter wildlife, and marvel at crystal blue lakes, Champagne pools, and a shipwreck. While last year's fire caused devastation to the island's vegetation, regeneration efforts are underway. The beautiful scenery makes it an ideal spot for tourists looking for a unique experience in nature while supporting the local economy.
Spectacular!!! this island is beautiful and unique, sad to see the burned trees from last year fire, the bush is coming back and it will be fantastic. the lake is my favourite and overall its a very recommended experience! please all of us should go there to support the economy and the reforestation in progress.

Excellent place to stay and camp or holiday in a house/unit. Beware of dingoes and leave them alone. Leave the land as you found it and respect the wishes of the land owners. The creeks and lakes are awesome to swim in.

The turquoise waters, Fraser Island got lot of sea life. The world’s largest sand island with vibrant rain forest and the World-Heritage-listed sand bar is simply stunning and the perfect spot for beach fishing. There aren’t paved roads here, just sand tracks, making the entirety of Fraser Island one big 4WD, off-roading adventure.

The Island is great and definitely worth a stop if your are passing the region... if not, plan a trip directly. The island self has many things to offer and you will be very surprised of what things you can see.
Additionally it is a very good experience staying at the the kingfisher bay resort.
Thank you!

Had a beautiful holiday on Fraser Island - kid friend - lots to do - lake McKenzie was the highlight of our trip - clear water and a beautiful sunny day. Lake Wabby was also a worth while trip. Champagne pools has gorgeous rocks which makes stunning photos as the waves comes over the rocks into the Rockpool. Saw some dingos chilling on the beach on 75 Mile beach.

Its a really good place to go with 4x4 vans (with acknowledge of the day trip as low wheels, etc). There were plenty of these! There are a lot of lakes hidden in the island so be sure where to go and HOW! Be aware of wild animals like Dingos and spiders & snakes, of course. There is a restaurant (also a resort) that has delicious food!

Love this place so relaxing. Camped there for the week. Great fresh water lakes and creeks to refresh in after the salt water. Lots of whales passing by in front of us.
