A beautiful place to stop and view local artists work along with others work! It's a class above a lot of others in my opinion! Do hope they continue long into the future🙂

Definitely worth the visit. The furniture and Steel artwork are beautiful and impressive.
Magnificent gallery art and very friendly staff.

Was wonderful looking at all the great workmanship on offer for sale. Worth a visit. Cafe was closed when I was there. All was saved from the bushfires that ravashed the area earlier this year 2022.
Christine Ewen — Google review
Heads up. There are no public toilets in the gallery. For some of us that is awkward. (And on the day we went the food place next door was closed and their toilets locked. So no toilets for miles.)
I liked the furniture and steelworks. I always enjoy seeing the art of local artists and artisans. High quality.
Artist who was volunteering and manning gallery was a little abrupt, when I first stepped in - about the no dogs rule. I get it. Though she is small and I carry her, and never her put her on the floor -it's the prerogative of the owner. I can't remember if I got a chance to ask or not. My husband managed to have a lovely long look and enjoyed his conversation with this gentleman. I feel it's important to add that.

Well maintained and beautifully presented with a wonderful variety of local product. Personally I felt it was quite expensive and may appeal more to the overseas buyers but quality non the less. Gorgeous furniture if only I could fit them in my suitcase!

Lots of beautiful art pieces which are mainly glass and wood. The wooden table were lovely. There are also lots of metal animal sculptures and a cafe.

Well worth the visit beautiful furniture and nice cafe
One of a series of regional tourist caves with guided tours of several underground chambers.
I visited both the Mammoth Cave and Jewel Caves today.
I liked that the Jewel Caves had a guide to take you through this amazing natural beauty. Mammoth is a self guided tour using a headset.
A tour guide allows us to ask questions as we go, and l always like to see how engaged they are in what they are teaching us.
Tom, our guide, was truly professional and hilarious at the same time. Great tour through the Cave.
What a fascinating story on the discovery of the Cave and how the environment (global warming) has affected the Cave in such a short time. We even saw the skeletal remains of a possum (see photo).
The walk is via internal stairs and pathways, both up and down over 3 levels.
I highly recommend seeing this Cave and any of the others in the Margaret River region.
Raelene G — Google review
Absolutely stunning! Fully guided tour with very knowledgeable guide. The formations in the cave are remarkable, as is the story of its discovery. 300 steps down with viewing platforms spread along the way. A must see if you're in the Margaret River area. A little easier to negotiate than the Ngilgi Cave.
Meredith Spangler — Google review
Jewel Cave is perfectly named, filled with beautiful forms. We enjoyed having Ava as our tour guide. She shared her extensive knowledge and answered many and varied questions. There's quite a few stairs in this cave, but never pressure to hurry. Some sections are steep, but the treads and hand rails are very secure. The cafe is a great spot for coffee or lunch. Jewel Cave is well worth a visit on your exploration of the Margaret River region.
Deb Kairn — Google review
This is an experience not to be missed. First time in a cave and I would highly recommend a guided tour (such as this) for the first time. Teaching all about stalactites, stalagmites and all the other incredible formations. Showing us the different sections of the cave and how many thousands of years it took. Incredible.
Ali Lloyd — Google review
Truely a one of a kind experience getting to easily walk around one of the biggest caves I have ever seen with these kinds of formations. Our guide Murray was fantastic and you could tell that he was genuinely still excited and interested by the cave’s history. Highly recommended the hour walk around to view over 3 ice ages of limestone build up. Just mind all the stairs.
Janita Dal Cin — Google review
Spectacular spot! The cave is 2km long ( tour only access 700m) and 42m deep. $22 per adult for a one hour guided tour. It worth to have a look. In this area there are a few other caves, I don’t know which one is the best.
Rong Wu — Google review
What an amazing experience! Just under $50 for two adult tickets. The cave is absolutely phenomenal! There are 250 steps in, and 250 steps out. The largest cave in the area, this is definitely not one to be missed!
Nicholas van Rheede van Oudtshoorn — Google review
What an incredible experience! The largest cave in the region, Jewel Cave is aptly named and it is beautiful. Quite a long tour with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. There were some places that were narrow or low to get through but that just added to the experience.
Moaz Raza — Google review
Josh, our tour guide, was awesome!!! Super informative but funny and witty too. The caves are amazing. So glad we did a guided tour instead of going solo. Jewel caves are a must see if you’re in the area. Highly recommend 👍🏼
Kath Hinds — Google review
Beautiful natural formations make this attraction a must on your trip down south. We took our 7 and 5 year old and they were fine with the stairs. If you're down near Augusta then you'll want to book a tour (we recommend booking online before you get there).
Adam Burnet — Google review
One of the best stops on our entire trip. It was amazing to see the natural formations of the cave but this was made even better by our tour guide Murray’s expert knowledge. He explained the history, formation and other interesting details of the cave which really enhanced our experience. He was great with the kids on our tour too, and made it fun for all ages.
Once in a lifetime experience, wouldn’t miss this one.
Alan Matotek — Google review
Really enjoyed this tour. Was amazing to be down so deep inside the cave.
Our guide was great . We did a 9:30am tour with only 5 people , so was awesome
Mel Jane — Google review
Wow! What an amazing experience! The cave is absolutely phenomenal! This is definitely not one to be missed! Guided tours every hour. Ticket $24 per adult. Tour took roughly an hour to complete.
Chantel Vorster — Google review
Richard the guide was exceptional and so were all other caves staff. Very beautifully maintained inside and out. Gorgeous views inside the cave. Wear good shoes and take some water, probably not the cave of choice for larger people as there is 250 stairs in and back out, quite steep. Great little cafe at the reception area with lots of cute giftwear.
Kristen Dugan — Google review
We recently visited Jewel Cave and was absolutely blown away by its natural beauty. The cave formations are simply breathtaking, with stunning stalactites and stalagmites around every corner. The guided tour was informative and engaging, offering fascinating insights into the cave's history and geology. The lighting inside the cave was perfectly done, highlighting the intricate details of the formations.
The temperature is around 16 degrees C, but you don't need a jacket. It's quite pleasant.
Overall, Jewel Cave is a must-visit for nature lovers and those interested in geology. An unforgettable experience!
Sam — Google review
Jewel caves name was very apt for the experience it gives to one and all.
It was such a lovely feast fir the eyes and ears. The guide was fantastic in explaining the history of the caves and the preservation process. Amazing it is.
We were a small group of 8 from various places across globe.
The visitor needs to walk a bit and climb the steps which were very narrow. We booked the tickets in advance, which i recommend to all. Persons traveling to Perth, do not miss visiting these wonderful caves.
Giri K — Google review
The cave is an astounding sight to see, really makes you wonder how lucky we are to be a part of this planet. Make sure to book beforehand as slots can be filled up really fast. Parking is abundant, but if you’re coming on a public holiday, it might get tricky.
Luan Phan — Google review
Beautiful cave. The tour guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable and abit too overwhelmed for my mind. Which is actually good, not negative at all. It makes me read more about the cave information and history.
Anthony Liew — Google review
Amazing as always, the experience has changed a lot since my last visit 9 years ago, but it was still just as wonderful! Our guide, Josh, was fun, informative, and passionate about the tour, also very kind when my partner needed some help at the end of the tour.
Can't recommend this gorgeous cave and it's lovely team of guides and caretakers enough!
Nym W — Google review
We booked tickets online, the website has them in groups of 30. Check in was easy, told to wait in the cafe area. As we were waiting people came up and bought tickets on arrival for the tour at the same time as ours. Our group was over 40 people and it ruined the experience. The tour guide was good but we had to wait for everyone to walk up and down and thru the areas. The platforms where the guide stopped to explain things or for show were packed so it was challenging to get photos, hear the guide, etc. it's very reasonably priced which probably explains it popularity.
Helen Rimmer — Google review
Visited this cave many many years ago. The cave is well maintained and the guides are humorous.
A lot of geography to digest so will be great for people who are interested in this area.
Guide did mention that the carbon dioxide level in the cave that day was a bit high and I did feel breathless especially when ascending from the cave (I do have asthma).
Hsuet Funn Chan — Google review
Arrived just before a tour was about to start and was able to jump into it. The tour guide was full of knowledge and happy to answer questions and have discussions. He was also very accomodating of the young children in the tour group and kept them well engaged, answering all their questions in an understandable way. A must recommend for people who love geology or caves, or looking for something interesting. An amazing experience and would love to come again.
Samuel Hennessey — Google review
It is one of the must-visit places if you happen to stay around Margaret River for a few days 😜
Although it is considered as a "young cave" it has many elements and history to learn from. The guide was patient in explaining the details and history of the cave and kept the visuals engaging.
Overall it's an awesome experience and not to be miss!
Brookwood Estate Winery in Margaret River is a charming destination with amiable personnel, delectable cuisine, and superb wine. The CabernetShiraz blend is particularly delightful. The Rosemary Fries accompanied by Aioli are truly scrumptious. All the dishes on their tasting menu, such as prawn&chorizo, Asian Chicken, and Pulled Pork, come highly recommended. Moreover, they offer freshly baked bread and provide games on the lawn to entertain children.
Great delicious asian food with vineyard view. Bonus points... food is halal! Must try lamb satay.
Sharifah Ruadi Syed Mustapha — Google review
Lovely spot with friendly staff, delicious food, awesome wine. Loved the CabernetShiraz blend. At the restaurant the Rosemary Fries with Aioli was delicious. All the dishes from the tasting menu was fabulous - prawn&chorizo, Asian Chicken, Pulled Pork all recommended. Freshly baked bread. Games on the lawn to keep the kids busy. We will return.
Ursula Groenewald — Google review
If you go to the Margaret River than Brookwood Estate is definitely a place to visit. Very friendly staff, wine is very special and taste great! There is no much choice to eat - more just a tapas. We had pulled pork and it was yummy! Highly recommended to spend couple hours with a pretty view and a bottle of wine!
Alexandra Katsubina — Google review
What a superb place. First visit to this relaxed cafe/restaurant. The weather in late November is mild and ideal for sitting on the deck enjoying the sweeping views across the vines.
I had the aracini starter and rib beef and my wife had the duck and tiramisu. Very tasty. My wife especially enjoyed the duck.
I just thoroughly enjoyed the view and atmos. We'll be back.
John Finkelde — Google review
Visited the cellar door seeking for a nice wine. One of the oldest pioneer in Margaret River, you can feel the country feel from the beautiful little cottage. The staff was very friendly and we loved the Cabernet Shiraz.
Ayaka I — Google review
Before you make the track out there, this is not a cellar door, there is no wine, infact there is no alcoholic beverages at all. The new owners are just doing food with an Asian influence and it is mediocre at best.

The nicest family owned winery business, we came here as a family and by far the service and the friendliness was amazing! Recommended the wine is awesome :)

39m-high lighthouse at continental Australia's most south westerly point, with a visitor centre.
Amazing place. You should definitely visit. When we went it was going under major renovations. So please call or confirm with them before you go there to not end up disappointed. Breath taking views. Ample parking. Kids can visit the museum also. Very nice short movie to watch in the museum.

Lovely spot and able to see how the lighthouse staff lived.
Museum very interesting and interactive.
Staff very pleasant.
Take a jumper, jacket and a hat. I suspect the weather is always pretty windy and changeable.

A must visit historic light house at the south western tip of Margaret river at Albany. Do visit the museum next door to the cafe to get to know about the history of the place. The views are spectacular, if weather permits you can see the two oceans meet.
Jagoo Boy — Google review
A piece of history is worth the trip to see. The story of all the light keepers and the cottages built there is very interesting. Beautiful coastal views. It is best to get there early for a carport, though.
Linda Barclay — Google review
Amazing history, the new museum was special giving insight into how the light house keepers lived. Be sure to drop in and visit this historic area
Brendan Mitchell — Google review
Good place to see the lighthouse where two oceans (Indian & Southern or Atlantic) meet. Quite a historical site and sight! Make sure to bring along something warm if you are wary of strong cold winds! Pay $20 to understand the history and climb up the lighthouse- it's worth the trip!
peter h t seow — Google review
Tallest lighthouse in mainland Australia at 39m and stands on the meeting point between two oceans. If you’re all the way down here it’d be silly not to include this in your itinerary as there isn’t much else in Augusta anyways.
Tours are $21 for adults and run every 30min or so. There’s the option to get onto the grounds for $7.50 but only the full tour will allow you to enter the lighthouse and it’s definitely worth it. Just make sure you have some warm clothes/a windbreaker cause the winds can get pretty intense.
Gabe Shakour — Google review
A wonderful place to chill out. However there are lots of flies around this place. We couldn't open our mouth even to talk. We had to rush back in a short period of time from the location.
Giri K — Google review
Great views from lighthouse compound. Yes, you have to pay to go up to the lighthouse and visit the lighthouse keepers building. You need to pay more for the guided tour inside the lighthouse itself. We opted for just the lighthouse compound and were happy with the views.
Dave T-Y — Google review
Visit worth as well during renovation, you get discount on fares as well
Well arranged exhibition with people, technology, historical events, and more using original exhibits and interactive screens and videos. Our kids really love the lens animation where you pick the different lenses to focus the beam and see the advantage of the fresnel lens. Exhibits with kerosine lamp,Halogene lamp and LED lamp.
Reik Winkel — Google review
We just loved the place. It's a short-walk from entrance to light house. The walk was so enjoyable.
You have both ticketing option With Lighthouse entry or without lighthouse entry, fees are different. That's good.
The walk to light house was so enjoyable. Lightkeeper's house to know more about the history and amazed with collections (we didn't have time to spend more but make sure you do).
Most importantly, the viewing platform was simply the best of all.
Nelufar Yasmin — Google review
The place where the Indian Ocean meets the Southern Ocean. This is the most south western point in the Australian continent. The tour of the lighthouse is well worth taking as it provides spectacular views over the ocean and coastline. A guide takes you on the tour and provides a very comprehensive overview of how the lighthouse has operated over its lifetime including up to the present day. However, be prepared to walk up and down 176 steps. Cost of the tour is $21 for adults.
Chris Fellows — Google review
Can enter and enjoy a variety of food while sitting looking out protected from the weather by huge glass panels. Dress warmly.
Food looked ok. Cappuccino was nice. Prices seamed reasonable.
A large range of souvenirs can be purchased. Admission costs beyond this point required. See photos for ticket prices.
John Rockyo — Google review
Meeting of two oceans - Indian and Southern - beautiful location for a stunning lighthouse. Loved visiting here and going through the keeper's cottage. The scones are superior to any previously enjoyed.
Deb Kairn — Google review
Easy to find, ample parking. Very reasonable fees for entry and for the lighthouse tour. The cafe does a stellar job, with slightly limited operation. Shoutout to the male staff member who sold us tickets today. Pretty sure I talked to the same gentleman when I finished the Cape to Cape. He was friendly, helpful, and informative. The views are spectacular and there is so much history to read about. Worth a stop every time you are in the area

An interesting historical site located where the Southern and Indian oceans meet. It costs to enter the area, but you can visit the small museum and take a tour of the lighthouse. A beautiful spot, but be prepared for high winds most days.
Michael Cooper — Google review
Amazing feeling we had after the visit of cape leeuwin lighthouse.
We took the guided tour of the light house, and it was well worth it. Museum turned Keeper's house also worth to look at for a while.
We climbed to the point right below the light and went out onto the veranda or deck. The wind was so strong that I had to hold my mobile really firmly. The intensity was incredible. It was a wonderful tour that deserves to be experienced.

The historic Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse sits at the tip of a spectacular peninsula, where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet.Just if you have a time visit this history place and you will read all the story behind that scenes.$7 for entry and I think worth it,clean, great view, strong wind too.I love WA 🥰
Mila Schätze — Google review
Excellent tour of the light house, with an added bonus of a wonder around the grounds as well as, a sticky beak through the light house keeps house, which is now museum.
We took the option of the guided tour of the light house and it was well worth it, being in one of the tallest light house in Australia and seeing the thickness of the walls, the number of stairs to the top, plus getting an understanding of the effort to build and support it over the years was great.
We climbed to the just below the light and went out on the veranda or deck & the wind was strong enough, to even take a young lady out of Prince Andrew’s grasp, the force was amazing & it was only a mild day.
It would be hard to believe somebody going out there in a gale.
Overall it was a wonder tour, well worth doing.

An historical site that will make you forget the stress. You turn any side , you see the nature's beauty. It was nice to see the video about the lighthouse presented in the Museum. Toddlers are not allowed into the Lighthouse.

The nostalgic feel of cmg again to feel the big breeze at the far north lighthouse. They have a cute little cafe and a toilet after the ticketing station. Souvenirs are beautiful there. They have now a house filled museum which is very interesting and u can find out how many lighthouse guardians there are from then till date!

Loved it! Beautiful products and fun tasty wines, boysenberry and pear sparkling, yum!
The cafe was amazing. The salad probably the best I've ever had, coffee amazing and just a beautiful place to stop surrounded by gorgeous gardens and beautiful birds. Literally 10 blue wrens came and flew around.
Definitely visit for lunch!

We came across the berry farm cafe whilst quickly looking for a place to go for lunch, and we are very happy we did. The sausage rolls were beautiful and it’s perfect with the side salad and some wedges. The scone was nice but not my personal favourite kind of scone. I did however love the jam that came with it. I highly recommend coming by here, they have great options and it’s such a cozy place, great for the kids as well.
My partner also surprised me with some sticky date pudding which came with hot caramel sauce, ice cream and custard which was divine. The awesome girls at the cafe also kindly surprised me with a birthday song along with it. We will definitely be back!

Can't decide what to get for lunch??
Just get the vegetarian platter for 2. Although it will easily feed 3.
This is one of the best platters I've ever had, and we've had the veg platter at The Lake House in Denmark.. Which is amazing, but this beats it!
Great beer selection too, gotta support local breweries and they do that here!
Bird life is pretty good,
Although I spotted a child throwing chips at the birds.... Please don't do that as it actually harms them.
Thanks Berry Farm!

Lovely place!! We took a 2, 3 and 4 year old at around 10am in January and it was perfect for them as there was a shaded playground. The scones and jam were to die for! Lovely staff. Will definitely be back!

Delightful place to visit. The boysenberry pie was absolutely 100% delicious and will be back for more! The birds are everywhere and love helping you finish your sugary delight. Great kids playgrounds to keep the little and big kids busy whilst mum and dad smash the treats! Add this place into your itinerary

I like the venue because Nice atmosphere and lots of birds in the cafe. It was my first time to order a pancake. I’m disappointed it. I can tell you guys use a microwave to heat it up. I was traveling to the pancakes from home … better make fresh… It was lots of berries I like the point. Thank you

Cottage Cafe with nice environment and friendly crews, the only down side is limited choice for non beef eaters. Other than that, all are good. It’s a berry farm, so you can get nice desserts with fresh jam, and you can always buy back fresh jam at shop nearby after meal.
Kathy Lee — Google review
Great place to take the family for an afternoon relaxation and enjoy some scones with jam and cream. The kids have a nice play ground to burn off some energy. For a small fee, you can buy some animal feed to feed the farm animals.
Mark P — Google review
Cool place .. 3 nice playgrounds for the kids to play on. The wood playground down the bottom could do with some shade, and the flying fox on the middle playground needed repairs, but apart from that, all good and the kids loved it there. Being able to see the animals was good fun, but the kids really wanted to get amongst it a bit more (petting/feeding/other perhaps?).
The food was ok, but it was the playground (for us) that made it worthwhile.
Joshua Quirk — Google review
Best birthday lunch ever! The pasta in the kids meal were cooked perfectly! (tried myself! we're Italians🤣). I went for the Chorizo plate and it was amazing. Fresh bread baked in-house and delicious wine. Awesome atmosphere and kids friendly. There's a playground at the back.

This place has nice outdoor areas, at the front and back. We chose the back area because it’s bigger and lots of birds were there. From the counter, I can feel this place is very environmentally friendly. Bird bath and feeder are there, and little blue wrens and honeyeaters were plenty around. The staff are very friendly and showed us if you put sugar on your palm, all these honeyeaters will eat from your hand.
Had scone and their burger. Scone was very nice, but jam was quite strong so don’t use too much of it. Love that they are generous with the cream. The burger was amazing. Not only it has a lot of fillings, they are looking colourful and pretty! The taste was well balanced with the sweetness of the sauce. Very impressed overall. But we realised we didnt even see any berry plant or maybe we didnt look hard enough.

Great set up with the shop and cafe seperated. Several decent nature playgrounds too.
Scones where nice and warm with fresh jam and thick cream.
Heaps of wrens flying around which add more to the character.

I came to The Berry Farm last year but didn't get a chance to come to the Cottage Cafe.
This time I made sure I went in and I had their burger.
It would have to be the best burger I've had in Australia.
The price is reasonable for the best burger you'll eat!
The Berry Farm Beef Burger was $28
It had Homestyle beef patty topped with swiss cheese, caramelised onion, Berry Farm Zucchini Pickles & Beetroot Relish, with fresh tomato & lettuce on a warm potato bun served with hand cut potato wedges & Berry Farm Sweet Chilli & Tomato Sauce and you can order (GFO/DFO)
On the next table the birds even ate the desert scraps, which were amazing as well!

I See a lot Of reviews disappointed with the atmosphere based on the wether. Personally, I’ve never had any problems no matter the weather. People talk about how the ideal weather is summer but I disagree, I enjoyed the Berry pies thoroughly during the winter.
I had the pancakes just today and they have a delicious berry compote and ice-cream. However the pancakes don’t exactly taste like buttermilk pancakes, although still enjoyable. They didn’t seem fresh, but I wasn’t fussed by that, but I think a good crusty buttermilk pancake could enhance it so much more. The pie is perfect though. Good crust and it’s very hot, but that’s how it should be.
People complain about the flies, personally didn’t have a problem, and I don’t think that’s the venues fault.
The scones are traditional and great, good jam, personally not a fan of the strawberry chunks but I know it’s intentional, I’m just funny with textures. Gift shop is great.
Burger was DELICIOUS, my brother says. Best burger he’s ever had, he’s a fussy eater and ate absolutely everything in that burger.
Service could be a tad better, but the food is what I prioritise if I’m ever recommending a place to someone.
Always looking forward to berry farm when I’m down in Margaret river. Never disappoints

my partner and I have been here numerous times over the last 5 years and it has always been such a relaxing place with quality food! I highly recommend the sausage rolls, authentic and hand made 😍 the honeyeater birds get very up close and personal with you if you happen to order sweet things! this one that I was lucky enough to catch a video of really loved the chilli jam (it's my favourite at the Berry Farm too, I had to buy some to take home!) they are also famous for their fairy blue wrens, a little more elusive but you may get to see them up close too!
today the lady in the Berry Farm souvenir shop let me hold Bella the baby kangaroo, her fur was so soft!!! it made my day 🥹🥹

Many flies during this season, good to have swoosh swoosh device to keep flies away from dining table. Food was okay, playgrounds are good for “distracting” kids while adults can enjoy their meals.
Busselton Jetty is a renowned tourist spot featuring a 1.8 km wooden pier that houses an underwater observatory, interpretive center, and museum. It is highly recommended to check the timings beforehand to avoid long wait times as it can get quite crowded. The place offers a lively atmosphere with scenic views and requires visitors to wear sunscreen and bring their own water bottle during summers.
Beautiful scenery and lively atmosphere. It's was the Easter holidays so we missed out on getting the train from the jetty so we walked down to the other, we didn't realise how long the walk actually was but still enjoyed it. The Underwater Observatory was beautiful to see as well.
Zhia Soo — Google review
The jetty is 1.845 km long and makes for a fabulous walk out to the end and small aquarium. The views are magic as you walk through people fishing. You can take a small train if you like though we preferred the walk. The jetty is in spotless condition. Make sure you bring a sun hat. Cost to walk was only $4, a great investment.

Always love a visit to Busselton Jetty. It's just such a peaceful and relaxing spot especially on non school holiday periods. The foreshore has had quite a refresh with the new playground and skate park now and new brewery on the waterfront. You can walk to end of the jetty to visit the underwater observatory or take the train in. Tickets apply. Highly recommend a visit with the family ✨️

We were so excited about this experience because of the photos we had seen. The train ride was very slow, the guided tour at the observatory was well led but with just a few windows to view from there was really not a lot to see other than where the coral had attached itself. We spent about 5 minutes of the 30 minute free time taking a little look around about about 25 minutes waiting at the top for the train to return. Was 2 hours I wish i had back in all honesty.
Ryan Reid — Google review
Cool spot but wouldn’t say it’s something you have to see in WA. Just did the walking tour since it takes just a few minutes longer than the train but the train did look very cute & fun. It’s one of only 6 natural aquariums in the world which is really cool but when I went there weren’t many fish to see. Wish I had a bit longer in the actual observatory. Overall really good experience but just wouldn’t put it at the top of my list.
Taia Hara — Google review
Good place to visit with kids, for swimming, diving, snorkeling and fishing. There is something to do for everyone. We visited on a sunday and the train was booked out for the next 2hours when we arrived. It's possible to walk on it but if you want to experience the train better Book in advance. The walk is about 20min one way. Better put sunscreen on and have a water bottle with you.

This is an absolute must try experience. You can bring your whole family to this place. You must check times before you go there otherwise you will have to wait there for hours for your turn. For example you might have to go at 2 pm for the last show. Call or check online so that you dont waste any time. Wear a hat and sunscreen in summer. Bring your own water bottle .

Booked the train trip, was great to learn about the history of the jetty as told via the commentary. Only had 8 minutes to spare at the end of the jetty before having to jump back on for return trip. Would have liked a little more time to experience the top end. Very enjoyable otherwise 😌

I would have loved to go on the walk. But the kids were dead set on the train. It was an hour round trip with plenty of time at the end of the jetty for photos.
The train has blinds for if the weather isn't pleasant. Luckily that day was the best of our trip! The train is solar powered and has road wheels for off track 😁
I'm glad we did this and would do it again whej we come back 🤞

Well worth the visit if you're in town! The train ride is good if you have kids, but otherwise the walk is probably better as you have more time to enjoy the jetty!
The underwater observatory sells out pretty quick so book that in advance if you're keen (we would have loved to visit it but it was booked out on the day we were visiting).
Pretty amazing how shallow the bay is given the length of the jetty!

You’ve probably read this already, but I’ll reiterate…it’s a LONG walk to the end of the jetty, especially with a full set of dive gear in the hot sun. Make sure you bring a trolley to cart it all and plenty of water…there is a shaded area where you can set up though and an easy entry/exit with a ladder. Despite the long walk there and back, it is 100% worth it - the spot is world class with great sculptures, an abundance of marine life, and cool atmosphere with all of the pylons. It’s a shallow dive so you get plenty of bottom time to explore!

Probably the only fun place to be in Busselton. You can swim, tan, fish, dive and even ride a train. Keep in mind it is always crowded, weekdays and weekends alike, could be even more people during public holidays. Buying a ticket in advance is very advisable!

This the most beautiful jetty in Perth. Love the view and walking along until the end. Also best place for snorkeling, so many fish down there. Highly recommended for everyone:)

Went to Busselton as my son competed in the triathlon so we went on the jetty walk and tour on one his relaxation day and we caught the little electric train up and went in the underwater observation deck. Quite good and very interesting but our tour was full and would have been better if less people were there. So choose a time when its not heavily booked for better results. We ended up walking the 1.8 kilometres back and it is an enjoyable stroll but is a must do especially if you have kiddies with you

Loved the train ride to the underwater silo! So good listening to the history through the speakers. An absolute delight. Shannon, our tour guide, was excellent!! We’ll have to visit during the summer and try to find the seahorses next time. Thank you for making the experience so great 😁 highly recommend!

As one of the most popular tourist attractions in Western Australia, it is a must see for any visitor to the Capes Region. The heritage listed Busselton Jetty is the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Construction of the Busselton Jetty began in 1865. Beginning as a mere 161 metres, sand drift resulted in an additional 131 metres being added in 1875. Further extensions were made throughout the following 90 years creating the remarkable 1.8 kilometre length.
After more than a century of use and servicing over 5000 vessels, the Busselton Jetty officially closed as a Port in 1973. Once closed to shipping, government maintenance ceased.-BusseltonJettyweb

Busselton Jetty offers a mesmerizing experience, stretching gracefully over the crystal-clear waters of Geographe Bay. The scenic walk provides stunning ocean views, and the underwater observatory offers a unique glimpse into marine life. The historical train ride adds a nostalgic touch. However, maintenance issues were noticeable during my visit, affecting the overall appeal. Despite this, the Jetty remains a must-visit for its natural beauty and recreational activities.

Nice way to spend a couple of hours on a slow walk. Well it was for me you can get a train. We were lucky enough to see a sail training ship mired alongside and to watch them cast off

Definitely worth a stop on your way down to Margaret River. Only $4 for the walking pass and it takes about an hour to walk to the end and back. I saw a large pod of dolphins. The underwater observatory, snorkel trail with sculptures, and train look cool but I wasn’t able to do these due to time and because I didn’t make a booking in advance.

What a lovely spot! A huge fig tree with so much bird life in it. A train along the jetty pier...great safe swimming beaches and cafes and restaurants. A little over-priced but nothing more than you'd expect in a great spot like this. Would come again and again!
Alan Blac — Google review
We’re not much into tourist attractions but somehow got into a different mood when we read about and then saw the Jetty on our walk and swim at the beach.
There wasn’t too much tourist traffic at the Jetty so we set off on foot, bought a $4 day walk pass and walked the Jetty.
Definitely worth it. It’s pretty darn cool to be out on the ocean over 1km on foot. Don’t forget to put on sunscreen, you’ll be exposed almost the entire time of the walk.
For those who don’t want to walk and spend the money, there’s a little e-train going back and forth.
Pretty sweet attraction.

Love the busselton jetty, especially at sunset, so beautiful!
We walked the jetty $4 for the walk to maintain the jetty, highly recommend the train ride for adults and kids alike, was good fun.
The aquarium seemed a bit pricey so we didnt go, but the rest was great. Good to see kids having fun swimming off the pier.

Busselton Jetty in Western Australia is a true gem! The stunning, 1.8-kilometer-long structure provides an unforgettable experience. The crystal-clear waters below reveal a mesmerizing marine world, making it a paradise for snorkelers and marine enthusiasts. The interpretive center offers valuable insights into the region's rich marine life and history. Sunset walks along the jetty are a must, offering breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. With its charming atmosphere, friendly staff, and iconic beauty, Busselton Jetty is a must-visit destination that leaves a lasting impression. Remember a hat and sunscreen :-)

It's a nice walk and interesting to learn about the jetty's history through placards along it. The staff were generally nice. However, be aware that you must purchase tickets at least 15 minutes prior to your desired train time.
Busselton Visitor Centre is an information center that offers brochures about local activities and provides tourist advice from volunteer staff. The staff are fantastic, informative, and willing to go the extra mile to help visitors find things to do, even when it's not a typical tourist activity. They offer recommendations for family-friendly activities in the region as well as suggestions for food and tourist attractions. Visitors can also purchase souvenirs from the gift shop.
Had the best service from the lady we spoke to today. Were given a map of the region, as well as recommendations for the family over the next few days while staying in Busselton. Kid bought some goodies from the gift shop, and recommendations for tourist attractions and food were on point. Thanks again!

Sorry to be less enthusiatic but my experience wasn't good. I asked about pet friendly accommodation and the assistant said they did not have a list (Margaret River Visitor Centre did) but she pointed out that they were funded by members and so did not have every accommodation listed. They were not independent. I thought all Visitor Centres were funded by the local authority but this one isn't.

I came in yesterday on crutches and whilst the lady was explaining where we could go my leg was giving away and I asked if they had a seat which she replied, we do not provide seating, so I had to leave. She did tell us to visit Cape Naturaliste as it was wheelchair friendly. Why didn’t she mention it is closed for two weeks.

Rang them for information. A machine placed me on hold for over 20 minutes !!!!
I couldn't wait any longer so I put the phone down.
I'm sure their representative will try to excuse this with some blah blah blah blah blah reply, or that they're short-staffed or something similar.
Well, that's not good enough. Employ another staff member to take calls. Treat people with respect. The Margaret River region can definitely afford to employ another person to take calls. Don't be stingy.

I had the good fortune to speak to Liz at the front counter. Big smile, very warm welcome, lots of enthusiasm and tons of good information. I asked about bird watching and she knew exactly where the pamphlets were in the drawer behind her. I purchased a gorgeous indigenous bag from the shop. Then I bumped into Liz again at the cape Naturaliste lighthouse ! Still smiling cheerful friendly and helpful. Front reception is a difficult job, especially with the public rocking up expecting miracles. Meeting Liz made my day, not once but twice!! 🥰 thank you Liz 🙏 YOU MATTER….

A 5 star history display built around the oldest train in WA. The Ballaarat locomotive has been impressively restored and there is an informative overview about its history and the economic history of the Busselton region. The only thing missing was a map of where those first railways went. As a QLD visitor this made it it very confusing to understand where exactly everything mentioned happened in relation to Busselton. The visitor centre is a much better historical display than the one at the Museum, which was too old and unfocussed to be of interest.

I visited the Busselton Visitor Centre today with the hope of booking a jetty tour and seeking some local information. However, my experience was marred by the exceptionally poor customer service provided by the staff. Instead of receiving the assistance and guidance I expected, I was met with a dismissive and unhelpful attitude.
The staff seemed disinterested and appeared to treat my inquiries as an inconvenience. This lack of professionalism and courtesy was extremely disappointing, and it left me with a negative impression of the visitor centre.
As a visitor to Busselton, I believe that the visitor centre should serve as a welcoming and informative resource for tourists. Unfortunately, the behavior of the staff fell far short of this expectation, and I left feeling disheartened about the overall experience.
I hope that my feedback serves as a prompt for the management to reevaluate the customer service standards at the Busselton Visitor Centre. Every visitor, regardless of their inquiry, deserves to be treated with respect and receive the assistance they require.
I sincerely hope to see improvements in the level of professionalism and customer service at the Busselton Visitor Centre in the future.

I was quite disappointed. I wanted to find some information about local Aboriginal people, visit them and spend some time with them, meet the elderly etc but the visitors centre has zero info about them as if the Aboriginal people were totally massacred and exterminated by the English colonizers.

Tuart Forest National Park is a vast natural reserve that boasts of unique Tuart trees growing on coastal limestone. It features various hiking trails and stretches along the coastline, with Ludlow North Road to the west and Bussell Highway to the east. The area around this park is filled with beautiful scenery, and visitors can enjoy a tourist drive leading to the old mill town of Ludlow by following Ludlow Road. However, littering remains an issue in this natural haven despite its rich history.
Beautiful National Park. Huge Tuart Trees. One of a kind in the world. A number of Tuart forests stretch along this part.of the coast line. This was pretty upsetting. Just nothing to do- moreover a waste of time and money. My Family and I came here a couple of years back, it was exciting and a lot of activities were in place for us to take part in. When we came today, everything just felt so dry and upsetting with everything being more fenced off and the animals being moreover inactive and distanced. Even though we can’t control how the animals react, or behave it just doesn’t feel right how they are so bored. The only things keeping me entertained were the caged birds at the front that were eating the feed.
Bibin George — Google review
Always the best place to visit for birds and other animals. Habitats are designed carefully for the birds and animals, very impressive.
Rosa Tu — Google review
DON'T SUPPORT THIS! The animals live under horrendous conditions! We were shocked!
The birds all looked very tired and there's not enough space for the amount of birds. The spouts had cracks from climbing on the walls to get food from the visitors.
In general, all animals were trained to come closer to the visitors to get food and looked very thin and weak.
The kangoroos had infections you could clearly see but the workers seemingly ignored it. Their fur didn't look healthy at all and they moved around really slowly in their small compound.
The wombat looked half dead with short breaths, so not even like it was sleeping. It didn't move at all.
The reptiles had way too small cages and the plants inside them were fake. The turtle only had a small pond, the water seemingly dirty and hot.
The dingos and wallabies seemed extremely weak and exhausted, their compounds way too small. The only toys for the dingos were three plastic things.
If you care about the animals, don't come here. Visit real wildlife parks.

This was perfect stop over for us on our way back to Perth from Augusta. We had a nice walk around the park, fed some of the animals we were permitted to, and one of the staff was even kind enough to tell us more about the reptiles. Pretty average. Nice range of groceries - they sell everything you can imagine food wise and cater somewhat for people with allergies. I didn’t feel it was really a “farmers” market. Everything you would find at the big shops and the prices to match. The fruit and veg section was impressive, but the prices were not.
So many people, that was the worst part. It very, very, VERY overcrowded from the car park to the checkout. Would not recommend.

I'm so glad we went. The quality of the produce was excellent. The price was also very good and the staff were nice and friendly. We will be going again and highly recommend.

Amazing selection of both local produce, dairy and meat, along with delicacies from all over the world.
Lots of freshly produced snacks and drinks from the local produce is a lovely bonus.
Very crowded, but friendly staff and neatly kept.
What a great little swimming hole. Stayed a night in my camper van and it was just us and two other groups. So peaceful in the morning, with the birds chirping in the air. The water is kinda murky and there was some sort of oil pollution lingering but Workmans Pool isn't too far away and the water there is pristine and is hidden away from the campsites, surrounded by trees. I love this little place tucked away. It's truly a hidden gem.

Excellent day use area, pretty pool with nice shelter, seats and tables. Nearby campsite is pretty useless, better option at Workman's Pool just down the road.

A lovely place to cool down on a warm day. Easy drive for 2WD vehicles. Parking is limited, so be mindful of busy / holiday weekends. Well built pool deck and plenty of shaded structures. Barbeques and tables.

Pretty!
We were told "It's just a pool" (skip it) but I'm so glad we didn't listen!
Only detraction was the quality of those toilets - I won't go into detail but people need to look after them better! Going in the bush is preferable to the scene in the toilets 😑
The lake, bridge and waterful are gorgeous, and the bench is a perfect little spot to have a picnic.
Veronica Lowe — Google review
A lovely area for either a day trip or over night camping trip.
The camping area is located above the pool, so there is a short walk up the hill.
Their are toilets, bins, disability parking, fire bbqs and park benches.
The natural swimming pool is beautiful and very inviting. There are several stairs in and out of the pool, and a jumping area off of the end of the deck.
No dogs aloud 😕
Camping fees apply.

It was a hot weekend at Nannup and a swim each day at Barrabup pool was the icing on the cake . Beautiful water temperature , surrounded by trees and set up nicely for good access to river. Highly recommended.

Pool looks awesome, but cold even in April. The campground is a few hundred metres away up the hill. There are about six campsites and it has very friendly possums. It it a great place to base yourself for walking or riding the Old Timberline Trail

Great spot for a swim or hike! For a weekend in December, it was very quiet, just a couple of families around.

Did not go in. I just watched the young boys jumping in and enjoying themselves.
It is in a lovely location, a pure sun trap

Gorgeous and quiet camping spot, table and fire pit for every camping spot. Beware of the possums after sunset, a gang of 5 surrounded our dinner table and tried to steal our trash bag!

Reached this place as the light was failing, but my goodness - what a beautiful and serene pool. Would I want to go for a swim here? Probably not as it was July and it was freezing enough as it was. Plus, I think there's a dead snake floating over there. Nonetheless, I can spend hours here even though I'd skip the dip.
Kit Teguh — Google review
Wonderful location. The pool is stunning (although I'm not sure I would want to swim in it) and the wildlife amazing. The campsite is compact with good bush toilets. Just be mindful that none of the spots are level. Made it a little less comfortable.

Camping (tent/ swag sites close by)(caravan camping approx 20min walk), limited number of sites. Long drop toilets, shelter, table/benches, very well kept facilities. Nice area does get busy. Plenty of wildlife/birds, possums extremely tame and inquisitive.
Fantastic family run business. Hugh quality products matching traditional European cheese brands. All locally produced. Friendly staff. Will come back next time to stay in a Cottage

The grounds were lovely and welcoming. There was a showroom with enticing local products, but the hero was the cheeses. Tastings were available, and staff were helpful and knowledgeable.

A very nice surprise. Small but lovely. Lots of cheeses to try and they were just shearing the sheep which was entertaining. We did take quite a few cheeses with us as they tasted great. If you see the sign on your way past definitely take 20 minutes to visit this place.

Whenever we pass by we stop in for a cheese treat, taking 2 or 3 varieties with us. The people there are always helpful and friendly, and there is always something welcoming about the surroundings. If they had a coffee machine, and tables to sit at, it would be perfect.

Amazing cheeses! We did a free tasting of numerous cheeses; I think we tasted 8 - cow, sheep, soft and hard cheeses (gold coin donation appreciated). Beautiful jams, chutneys & cured meats available to purchase too. Highly recommend 👌

A beautiful place to stay! Cute farmyard cottage and views of the farm from every window. So still and peaceful, with little birds in the bushes and trees.
The kids loved seeing all the animals on the farm.
The fire pit is great for an evening around the fire. The farm shop has some great produce both from the farm and afar.

Had no idea we’d be able to try the best cheese on the way somewhere. Wonderful to know about sheep cheese and how great it tastes when I didn’t even know people eat sheep milk. The blue cheese wasn’t too smelly but tasted amazing. Highly recommend.

Fabulous place with beautiful produce. Yes it is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Support small country businesses. The lady who served us was very helpful and friendly.

Hidden gem. Beautiful view and surroundings. One of the best cheese, of course because of its quality you have to pay a little more, but worth it. Dogs not allowed, must stay in vehicle.

We arrived just before 3pm to taste the excellent cheeses, (some sheep’s milk, some cows milk), and then stayed to watch the sheep milking. The staff were all very friendly and we enjoyed learning about the process. Even Oliver the Clydesdale came up for a pat. There are some interesting historical photos in the old dairy too
Such an awesome playground... not as 'all ages' friendly as Katanning's playground but would love to take children to this one. Beach sand everywhere, green grass and awesome equipment. Toilets well presented and cared for.

What an amazing park!!!! It is a park that suits kids with different ages. So many fun slides, train ride, swings etc. It also have under cover tables with BBQ. The park is very clean, not very busy either. We had so much fun playing with our 2-year-old. The only thing is that half of the park is not under shades, so it could be hot and directly under the sun. We loved it!

Donnybrook is a must-stop for us for our road trips in WA since 2018 and there’s no better place than Apple Fun Park to let the kids out of the car to expend the pent up energy that they’ve accumulated along the way. While Donnybrook may be thought to be small town to many tourists, this playground is hidden gem that is far more up to date and engaging than those found in larger cities in WA and where we came from (Singapore). Let’s put it this way - most of the adults in our group found ourselves engaged in at least one of the playground activities. We were supposed to do 15-minute pit stops here but they always ended up to be at least 1 to 2 hours.

A beautiful, bright, new park for all aged kids. Clean, Public amenities onsite with stunning 'Brenton See' flora/fauna mural on the exterior (stunning artwork).
Instrumental playground where the kids can play 'music'. A flying fox (zipline), spiral slide as well as all the normals for the kids. One side is for big kids, the other caters to the littlies. A large undercover BBQ with seating too. Also a small grassed area to have a hit of cricket or kick the footy.
You could easily spend half a day here if you came down to cook up your lunch and let the kids go nuts. Beautiful.

Wow absolutely one of the best park for the kids of all ages. Limited cover and BBQ facility, plenty of parking however. Very well layout this playground. There are different size slides for the kids, mini trampoline. The equipment layout out over 100 metres of the playground. Great way to stop over before heading to and from one destination, best part the little ones really enjoyed it.

Incredible playground for the kids with rest areas for the parents to relax. I believe it’s the biggest free playground in the Southern Hemisphere. A local farmer anonymously made the bulk donation to get this started. A brilliant gesture and fantastic concept. Well worth a day trip to visit.
Creekside walk lined by thousands of model gnomes donated by visitors & set out among gum trees.
What a fabulous place to take the family. Just loved it. Plenty parking, good toilet facilities. Who cares about the kid's this is a great place to visit. A good country drive, good roads. Will definitely go again.. Don't forget to visit frog hollow not far from Gnomesville. Another fun place.

This site is free of charge for everyone to visit and is set-up exactly like a village of Gnomes with an excellent just off the road carpark amongst the forest/bush, well maintained toilets and walking tracks to view in and around the figurines. It’s just amazing, I wrote my name on a small gnome which I picked up on my travels to WA from SA and left to live with his newly found family ❤️❤️❤️

What a surprisingly wonderful place in the middle of the Ferguson Valley. Quite unexpected. You will see thousands of gnomes in this area. It is not very large but you’ll have a good time just walking around and taking a break from the driving. You can also bring your own gnome and let them play with other gnomes. The carpark and toilet here are brand new and very clean.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Gnomesville, and it was truly an amazing experience! Gnomesville is a unique attraction located in Western Australia that features a collection of thousands of gnomes, all gathered together in a beautiful natural setting.
From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the whimsical and magical atmosphere of Gnomesville. The gnomes are scattered throughout the area, occupying trees, rocks, and other natural features, creating a sense of enchantment and wonder.
As I explored the area, I couldn't help but feel a sense of childlike joy and excitement. Everywhere I looked, there were gnomes of all shapes and sizes, engaged in a variety of activities, from playing music to fishing to reading books.
One of the highlights of my visit was interacting with the gnomes themselves. Many of the gnomes have been decorated and personalized by visitors, creating a sense of community and connection. I was able to leave my own gnome as a memento of my visit, and it was a wonderful feeling to contribute to this collective experience.
Another great aspect of Gnomesville was the natural beauty of the surrounding area. The attraction is situated in a picturesque valley, surrounded by trees and rolling hills, making for a peaceful and relaxing environment.
Overall, visiting Gnomesville was an amazing experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and memorable adventure. Whether you are a gnome enthusiast or simply looking for something fun and different to do, Gnomesville is an attraction that is sure to delight and inspire.

Amazing amount of Knomes.
Enchanting and a lovely spot to stop.
I wish I knew before hand that we would be stopping here.
I would of prepared a knome to be homed here as well.
There are knomes from all over the world and plenty of locals.
There are grottos, a little river and paths for you to explore.
Sitting benches and logs of fallen trees are good resting those weary legs.
Some areas are not wheelchair accessible.
Map of the area is also there. Great info on what else to do.
Toilets are on-site.
Small parking area and not sealed.

An interesting place to visit with a wide spectrum of gnomes places in and around. Gnomes come in themes, a play of different characters, some representing schools, those visited and those that have left their loved ones.
I liked this place as it allowed me to experience what someone left behind - maybe one of joy, sorrow or even a plain reminder that they were there.
**This is also a dog friendly place as long as they don't sniff or destroy the setting**

I decided to make a detour on my way to busselton to go and see what it was like. I thought I wouldn't find as I arrived to the roundabout but it was tight there.
There is a car park with spotless drop toilets.
Then you can start your walk surrounded with gnomes.
It doesn't really take long unless you look at every single name on each gnome 😉
It is worth a small detour.

Hundreds of gnomes through the trees on the side of the road. It's kind of impressive how many gnomes there are but wasn't quite as cute as I thought it would be. If you're nearby or passing through then it's worth a look but I certainly wouldn't drive further than 10min to visit.

Golden Valley Tree Park in Balingup, Western Australia, is a captivating natural gem that offers a unique experience for nature enthusiasts and visitors from around the world. Located within driving distance from Perth, it's a must-visit destination for anyone exploring this region.
One of the standout features of Golden Valley Tree Park is its International Tree Section, which is a testament to the park's commitment to biodiversity and conservation. Golden Valley Tree Park is the largest arboretum in Western Australia. I visited this place on 30 August 2022 because of some excellent reviews. Believe me it doesn't disappoint. Forget about being a nature lover or an avid botanist, this park is for all and in autumn it is just magical. One of those places where you are amidst nature and cellular 4G connection still working. I'm going to visit this place again in Spring and see what more magic unfolds.

An amazing couple of hours walking around some beautiful scenery for free! Donated (an options) anyway.
I climbed that tree after Gloucester tree and I found that one a bit more impressive. It was windy in the arvo so I stopped at the first platform since it was saying it was getting a bit tricky. Keep in mind there's more visitors at Gloucester tree than that can help.
Maud Cappelle — Google review
The tree ladder was under maintenance and not accessible for climbing. The two kilometres of gravel road from the main road to the entrance made me question my choices. I'll definitely add it to my wishlist for the next revisit, hoping the road will be easier to drive by then.

This is truly amazing, we highly recommend but if you don't like heights then it's definitely not for you, but still definitely worth a look and there's also the bush walk.

I actually can't believe that we were still allowed to climb the bicentennial tree. Such an incredible experience but definitely not for the faint of heart (or knee)! It surely can't be long before they shut this down for public climbing, if it's on your bucket list, get doen here and get up there.
EDIT 26/1/24 - As expected, they have closed access to the tree climb. We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to climb the tree before they closed it. Still well worth the visit, the area is stunning, however you can no longer climb the bicentennial tree.
Becky Matthews — Google review
A must visit if you are in the area. Old school fun as you climb to the top for an amazing view. 😎
Jason Pearce — Google review
This was such an awesome thing to do. I climbed all the way to the top and the view was amazing. The rungs of the ladder are very secure and there is a steel net that surrounds you as you climb. There is no harnas or other form of safety measure. You must not be afraid of heights or have a health condition.
Anja Van De Gronde — Google review
Wow that was a big climb. It’s metal rods for the first two sections then the very top is platforms and ladders (a lot easier).
Please keep in mind that this climb is quite dangerous and if it’s windy, wet, or you’re not physically fit - don’t climb this thing. If none of that is the case though, it’s well worth the view!

Beautiful tree! Definitely a must-do!
Wouldn't recommend going up if you're scared if heights, as the security is at bare minimum. But you should still stop-by just to get a feel of how big those trees are!
The bicentennial tree is the tallest point of the three you can climb in the area, the tree is 65m tall and they build a lookout 10m on top of it, which totals to a 75m climb. There's an observation point about halfway through if you need a rest, or if you're happy not going any further.

I'd say this is a must if you're in Pemberton.
The tram leaves from a lovely old station and takes a gentle ride through the forest to The Cacades, where you get 25 minutes to explore this pretty bit of nature. Obviously, you'd experience a lot more cascading water if you went before summer sets in.
The driver gives an excellent commentary all the way.
On the way back, it's more of an express ride, and just as much fun.
Highly recommended.

If you’re planning to take a ride on the tram beware that it only runs twice a day at 10.30am and 2.00pm. Each ride takes 75 minutes. There isn’t much to see here other than the tram ride. A ticket office opens only during the time of departures and arrival of the tram. The store also sells some souvenirs and snacks.

A memorable experience that takes you back in time.. great for the kids (and us too). The Driver’s commentary was informative and entertaining. The journey was a little more than an hour with a 20min break at the “cascades” before heading back. A walk down from the platform at cascades to the stream below is a fun activity. The train takes you through dense forests and over 3 old bridges.. it gives you a glimpse of life back in the early 1900s.. the carriages are immaculate and clean. I would recommend it in a heartbeat. The ticket price might seem a bit high, but for the effort they put in and considering the maintenance of the tracks, tram, station, and overheads it’s definitely worth the experience. It’s a bit of a shame that tourism WA doesn’t do much to promote and support it.

This was a lovely slow trip through the Karri Forest with commentary on the local history and area. The Cascades had flowing water and plenty of areas to climb over and explore. We had a great time on the tram. Nice to be surrounded by nature. Was a great activity to do with an older friend that isn’t able to walk much at all. Unfortunately there is a staircase/walk down to the cascades that she wasn’t able to do but we could all enjoy the tram ride. Conductor was great too.
We went on a Tuesday so wasn’t too busy, plenty of seats. We booked online the night before (tells you how maybe seats are left), you can pay online at booking or pay cash/eftpos on the day.

What a great way to visit The Cascades! Ben, our driver/tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining, and the trip was through lovely scenery and forest. It's great to see Ben and his family reopening this attraction and we wish them all the best. Awesome trip and highly recommended! Thanks

So pleased we did this. A thoroughly enjoyable trip. Ben the Tram driver gives great commentary about the history of the tram, the forest, the timber mill and the town. A lovely 25 minute stop at the Cascades gives you time to explore a bit. Worth going left and right to explore.

What an awesome experience to end our Easter trip after exploring the local region. The family operated business were very professional and accommodating to all passengers. We were even able to take our family labradoodle. Highly recommend this experience and we would definitely do it again next time we visit. Added great memories to our adventures @campexplore4x4

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend the Pemberton Tramway! Had a blast riding it with my furry friend – they're dog-friendly! The driver was both entertaining and knowledgeable. Plus, meeting Lassie, the adorable station dog, was a highlight. Definitely worth the experience!
52m-high, climbable former fire lookout tree with views of the surrounding karri forest canopy.
So much fun, if you are alright with heights then your going to be able to climb the tree and see the view from up on the platform.
If heights are not your thing there are plenty of lovely walk trails and a spot to have a BBQ.

Great fun, you do question your sanity as you get close to the top, but I can't resist the thrill and the view so always go back for more self punishment 😂
Sarah — Google review
Unfortunately the tree is closed to climbing at this time but it does look like it would be really cool when it’s open again. Still a pretty forest with lots of cool trees.

I went there on a Saturday morning and decided to go up at a slow pace and stop as I needed. It was really good experience and really nice views from the top. It gets windy up there but doesn't feel unsafe at all from the platform.
I recommend proper shoes to feel comfy all the way.

Magnificent tree once used as a fire watch. The tree was closed for maintenance when we arrived, but Parks allowed visitors to enter and visit the tree. Worth a look, only 3km from Pemberton.

Great climbing adventure! I am happy that they kept it basic with metal pegs and some mesh rather than "upgrading" to a safe Gucci tourist climbing highway. As of the Q&A there have never been a fatality from climbing but two heard attacks after returning to ground.

Great to visit even though the tree is closed for re Pegging. Amazing sight

The Gloucester tree, was not open, but, the grandkids loved the adventure activities! Great fjn!
Janene — Google review
This was fun for kids. We arrived early Sunday morning and were the only ones there. Keep in mind you will need a Parks pass to enter . It was fun for us. Upper half is closed so you can't climb to the top, it's quite high, so it is at your own risk .
Ivanka Marincic — Google review
It is a lovely place to walk around even though cannot climb the tree. It is no longer safe to climb anymore if you talked to the park ranger instead of making judgment by self. There is a national park fee required. If you have the annual national park pass, then you are good to go like us. We got lots of information from the lady from the entrance.
MeeLian Rozing-Lee — Google review
It's a great iconic piece of history to see in Pemberton. The tree was used as a fire lookout tower.
You need to pay an entry fee into the National Park or use your annual WA Park pass.
The Gloucester tree is a difficult challenge to climb. One that is a test on fear of heights or fear of falling. 58m climb straight UP, having only steel rods to hold onto. Many choose NOT to climb it, but l did (I'm 52). View at the top is obstructed by the ever growing canopy of trees. But great to see.
The 3 walks around the area are good. I did 2, but l didn't do the 10km one.

Awesome experience climbing this giant. Quite dangerous for younger ones as the gap between the steps is wide enough to fall through. Wouldn’t recommend unless your physically fit and confident at heights. The experience and view are quite awesome though!
This place is incredible. It has so many things to look at, you could honestly spend hours here! They have many unique gifts, there’s something for everyone. The gardens are lovely as well.
We always make sure to visit when we get chance to come to Bridgetown.
Definitely worth visiting!

Do make sure you stop by this pinkiest and happiest place when in Bridgetown! It's a place that will put a smile on your face and trust me, you will have a hard time choosing what and how many to buy 🤪 I also found a few candies that you can't find at Woolies or Coles. The lady owner is extremely helpful and friendly and even let me go behind her counter to take a picture from that angle. Love this place!

My friends and I went in to buy lollies and a man in a nice hat served us. It was lovely that he made so many great recommendations. Probably, it has been the best lolly shop visit of my life !
Ended up buying an immense variety and look forward to trying the ice cream !!

The shop is a true delight with an amazing variety of lollies and chocolates for kids and indulgent parents alike! Damien and Rochelle make the place so much more special happy to help out always with a smile and make a point of engaging the kids making them feel like they're the only little ones in the world! Don't make the mistake of driving past without stopping in, the whole family will walk out smiling!

Always friendly staff here at every visit. Great selection of lollies in a lovely little shop. You will find old favourites as well as new. Lollies are not made on site. Hard to visit and walk out without a purchase.
I will be honest, I was not expecting to like this as much as I did. Some really interesting pieces of work. It was $45 for a 30 bush walk for the family (2 adults and 3 kids). Seemed a little pricey initially but felt worth it by the end.
Scott Riddle — Google review
This place is so interesting and full with beautiful art that compliments life in the forest. The walk is easy and you are provided with a map with all art pieces and nature facts, as well as a collection of soft music and a podcast about the walk which is cool!
remi chisholm — Google review
Needs more maintenance. I think when it first opened, it would have been better. Lots of the art has deteriorated and the brochure hasn’t been reprinted since 2007 so it doesn’t include the newer art. It is still a nice place to visit but I wouldn’t go out of your way to see it.
Vanessa2Lee — Google review
Wow! A complete and most pleasant surprise. Had been expecting something fairly pedestrian but instead saw an excellent exhibition in the best possible setting. Do yourself a favour.
Andrew C — Google review
Have driven through the area many times yet never knew this was here. So delighted to eventually discover it July 2022. There was a $10 per adult entry fee to do the 1.2km walk via the Visitor's Centre, but well worth the price. So many creations to encounter, all with more or less something to engage the imagination. The walk took us about 45 minutes.
Most of the pieces show some level of decay from being in the bush (some since 2006), but that's part of what makes this type of art "alive".
Apparently you can do the walk with an audio track to listen to. Maybe that's something we'll have to go back for.

What a great side trip, one hour you will not regret. Thank god we have people who are passionate about art and nature and give their time, money and effort to such a wonderful display of outdoor sculpture.
Not to be missed when in the Pemberton region.

This is an amazing place to visit. The joining of nature and art. I felt like a kid on a treasure hunt as we followed the trail and the art unfolded behind ever bend nook and cranny. What an amazing story honouring the community's rise from the ashes. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS.

It's a good place to stop by and relax. We came on a public holiday (Queen's Birthday), it was not busy, and everything was open. There's an outdoor rose maze garden, a gift shop, cafe, and museum.

I've been wanting to stop here and take my time for years, but am always so rushed. This place is just beautiful. Local history covering yesteryear, shearing, flora, fauna plus the visitor centre, Cafe next door. A gorgeous display of freshly picked (with pickers license) wildflowers and native orchids that smelled divine. A really interesting stop and browse and well worth it.

It was an unexpected stop as we travelled from Albany to Perth. But it gave our journey home an extra experience which we greatly appreciated - it is a special place which we intend to come back to and spend more time there in order to do it justice 🙂

Very insightful museum. Particularly liked the maze outside, which showcases the stories of three women from Kojonup, a Noongar, an English, and an Italian. Stories of mistrust and segregation.

We were looking for somewhere to lunch and had Gilbert's recommended by locals in the Porongarups. Almost didn't do the extra 15 minute drive north of Mt Barker. But the five of us were very delighted by the wines and the lovely tasting board of local products. Thoroughly recommend stopping off for lunch there, do some wine tasting and head off with a couple of wines under your arm.

One of the best wineries in Australia. The Riesling and Shiraz are absolutely incredible. Definitely worth driving here to sample not only the wine but food and the warm and friendly hospitality.

On a recent trip to the area we visited on a quiet Monday for lunch - Clinton offered the best cellar door experience of all our Great Southern venues that we visited. His knowledge and enthusiasm to discuss the history of their family winery is great, and that's exactly why cellar door visits are so important to the local wine industry. Highly recommend the '19 Cabernet and their excellent Rieslings. Nice food too!

We must have gone on a really ‘bad’ day. The food was probably the lowest quality we’ve had anywhere. Dry chicken and a few pieces of sweet potato on a bed of greens. A lack of creativity and quality left us feeling ripped off. I’d be embarrassed to serve the food to anyone in my own kitchen.
We note that 86+ of the reviews are over two years old with many 5,6 years!! If you doubt my review and that’s what this resource is here for, go there yourself and find out. The place needs an intervention. Perhaps this will prompt one. We had visited before, years ago, and it’s gone way downhill from then.
If you provide a straw that is shorter than a glass, imagine what the food is like!
We’ve eaten in many establishments all over the country and the world. Still the worst we have experienced.

1,099-m. peak in Stirling Range National Park featuring a popular hike with dramatic views.
Did you actually go to the Stirling Ranges if you didn’t complete Bluff Knoll? What an amazing hike! It does have a lot of steps, steep sections and you do need to watch out for the weather as it gets quite windy up there but just follow the warning signs. The views are spectacular and we saw many people of all ages doing this hike. Just give it a go; take your time and follow the path. There is heaps of parking at the base, but we left our caravan at the caravan park! There is a NP fee to get in.

Took nearly 2 hours to hit the peak. It’s class 4 hiking. Steep and lots of stairs. If you are beginner or not used to do hiking, def take more time to get up there. Recommend to bring heaps of water, snacks and a jacket, pretty cold up there.

Definitely a worthwhile hike. Aim to be at the top in the early morning as it can have the best views.

Beautiful mountain hike up a well maintained trail. There are many stairs up to the top but well worth it for the epic mountain views.

Epic, epic and epic! Bluff Knoll is no walk in the park, but worth the 3km up and 3km down for amazing views of the region. Bring plenty of water and some snacks and be careful near the edge. Someone had to get airlifted out while we were there. Once at Bluff Knoll, you can continue on for the Stirling Ridge Range Walk (bucketlist worthy - but some serious hiking/navigating experience is necessary).
Joel Hudson-Stewart — Google review
Unquestionably Incredible. An ideal location for hiking. Don't put your faith on the weather; always be ready for it. Because of its unpredictability, the weather can change in the blink of an eye. In addition, the hike is not as simple as you might anticipate, but it is unquestionably well worth the effort. Lovely and soothing in every way.
aqib khan — Google review
The highest and the beautiful peak in WA. Amasing sceneries and very well built path up from the skirt up to the top of the peak. I enjoyed the 4 hour climbing and descending with friends.
Mehdi Memarian — Google review
Bluff Knoll is a challenging hike - a test of one’s stamina but it’s highly doable, one just need lots of determination.
When they saw the mountain from afar, my 62 year old husband and 25 year old son had some doubts if they could really make it to the top - taking into account that we’d also just walked up to Castle Rock that morning itself.
Those doubts quickly dissipated when we met another family at the base… the two children younger than 10 years had just ‘conquered’ the mountain. Mid way up, we met another family with young children coming down in high spirits.
Having said that, walking (I say ‘walking’ bec technically it’s not a climb…) up the seemingly endless steps can be arduous and is not for those with mobility issues, fear of heights, medical conditions and infant children who need to be carried (unless you’re Hercules).
If possible, choose to go on a sunny day so that you can see the panoramic views that stretches as far as the eyes can see.
On the day we went, the weather was erratic… cloudy, heavy rain, sunny, windy… luckily during our actual hike itself, it was just sunny and windy… it would be difficult and perhaps dangerous to walk when it’s raining bec it can get slippery. Best to wear sturdy hiking boots with a good grip. A hiking stick would help too. No hiking stick? No worries, just pick up a long solid fallen branch like what my husband did.
It is very windy up at the summit so you’ll be thankful for wearing a wind breaker.
The total time we took to go up and down including a 20/30mins break on the submit is around 3 hrs 45mins.
Remember - this is not a race.
And it’s not all about the destination.
It’ll be good to stop once in a while to enjoy the views.
If you’re there in Spring, there’re plenty of pretty wild flowers along the way to admire too.
To fuel up before our hike, we had intended to have lunch at the Bluff Knoll cafe that is located at the corner of the road. But it was not open (even though Google says it was). Stranded on seemingly no man’s land, our stomachs growling, we decided to try our luck at a petrol station some way down the road.
Amelup Service Station.
It saved our day. Thank God it was open!
A petrol station in the middle of nowhere, frozen in time, looking like it popped out from the 70’s, served very very delicious burgers… it turned out to be an unforgettable experience like our walk up and down Bluff Knoll…
Alice Chua-Png — Google review
Be prepared for stairs and the way down is brutal on the knees and the legs in general (absolutely wish they had a cable car or zip line down) but the view is worth it and the experience is surreal! This is one of those experiences where you swear you won’t ever repeat but 6 months down you can’t wait to do it again!
Make sure to bring a warm jacket and good shoes and a walking stick if you prefer, it’ll help you loads!
Ian Wijewardene — Google review
Not for unfit old farts. Constant up hill for over 3Ks and mostly high steps. The view from the top is great and worth the effort if you are able. We took 5 hours to complete the round trek but had an hour or more at the summit. Take water and wear sturdy footwear. Good luck and enjoy.

Bluff Knoll was an adventure to remember! It's one of the highest peaks in WA, and the climb up can be pretty challenging, but oh boy, the views from the top are just unbeatable. You're looking out over the Stirling Range, and on a clear day, the panorama is nothing short of breathtaking. The trail itself is well-maintained, with some steep sections that really get your heart pumping.

Wow. Amazing. My wife and Ì did the climb for the first time. It took us 4 hours return, it was challenging but an amazing experience. We didn't rush and spent 30 mins at the summit taking in the breathtaking views. It's 6km - 6.5km return, 1.1km high. We are in our early 50's. Go for it and experience this amazing gem.
Dave C — Google review
Not an easy climb, took 5 hours in all being not in the best fitness condition. Stairs and more stairs, get a trekking pole to assist. Views from the top are stunning if not obstructed by clouds. Best time to do this trek is in winter without the heat and flies. Along the way is a really nice natural waterfall. Bring windbreakers as wind can be very very strong near the top.

An awesome museum taking you back to through history of settlement, in this, the first farm on the South Coast. Some amazing extra pieces in the gallery include an 18th Century Hearse Carriage from Transylvania, to a quite large piece of SkyLab Debris.
A fine collection of Vintage motor vehicles is also impressive, along with WWI memorabilia.
The homestead buildings, the Farriers building and others are very impressive. An early sheep shearing shed took me back to my early days on my grandparents farm in Western NSW, when I was a child. So many of the items in the museum were things that I grew up with.
The Cafe provides some fine meals (Breakfast & Lunch) daily, with Pizzas on Friday nights.
I can recommend the Carrot Cake.

Wellstead museum is a credit to Bremer Bay. Endlessly facinating historical artifacts, cars and buildings harking back to a harder agricultural existance in this area. The cafe here also made an azazing eggs benny with fab coffee. Definitely a must see when visiting the area.

My family and I (being Wellsteads ourselves) were very curious to see what the museum would be like. It left us astounded, there is so much family history there as well as many other parts of history. We were also blessed to be able to stay in the old girls cottage. This is somewhere we plan to visit again and again and again.
