🕊️ The fabled Sea of Galilee is where Christians believe Jesus walked on water, calmed the storm, and made Peter and Andrew into “fishers of men.” It's where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. And it's where Jesus fed the masses with a few loaves and fish and gave his Sermon on the Mount.

The Sea of Galilee (Hebrew: יָם כִּנֶּרֶת, Judeo-Aramaic: יַמּא דטבריא, גִּנֵּיסַר, Arabic: بحيرة طبريا), also called Lake Tiberias, Kinneret or Kinnereth,[3] is a freshwater lake in Israel. It is the lowest freshwater lake on Earth and the second-lowest lake in the world (after the Dead Sea, a saltwater lake),[4] at levels between 215 metres (705 ft) and 209 metres (686 ft) below sea level.[5] It is approximately 53 km (33 mi) in circumference, about 21 km (13 mi) long, and 13 km (8.1 mi) wide. Its area is 166.7 km2 (64.4 sq mi) at its fullest, and its maximum depth is approximately 43 metres (141 ft).[6] The lake is fed partly by underground springs but its main source is the Jordan River, which flows through it from north to south and exits the lake at the Degania Dam.

Sea of Galilee aka Lake Tiberias. Is the famous lake where JESUS walked on it and also calmed the storm.
It’s also the lowest fresh water lake on earth.
Peaceful lake indeed and breeze was so cool.

We're a group of pilgrims from the Philippines🇵🇭.
We're happy to have experienced sailing on a wooden boat across the Sea of Galilee. A good and unforgettable experience for all of us. The skipper even taught us some dance steps while sailing. After the boat ride, all of us were given a certificate that we had survived the trip. It's one for the books. It's a good thing the weather cooperated with us, so sailing was a breeze.

A truly beautiful Monastery . It is a peace of heaven on earth and a brilliant church. Actually you have 2 churches, the old one is small and a new big one.The people are warm and inviting.
It is a great blend of modern worship and older hymns, as well as in depth preaching and teaching every Sunday. Very special event every 22nd of the month. This really is the crowning jewel of any visit to Lebanon. A must visit. May saint Charbel bless you all.

Largest ski resort in the Middle East, with 42 slopes & 50 mi. of groomed tracks for all levels.
So here is some information about this year prices:
25 US $ half day and 40 US $ full day
It's slightly cheaper for kids.
Mainly Mzaar Ski slopes are the most visited slopes in Lebanon. Caffee there are quite overpriced (around market price x 2.5).
Overall, everything else was very nice
Mira Abdallah — Google review
One of few skiing resorts in lebanon but definitely the best, around 100km of well maintained slopes and breathtaking views. The only downside are the tickets prices, overpriced and they go up every year for unexplainable reasons. Overall the staff are friendly and well trained which is a big plus for me ✌🏻
Rabih Ar — Google review
Beautiful view, great slopes, nice snow, lots of different pistes to try put.
Little more expensive than I'd like, and the staff can be a little mean with the beginners.
Hassan Khalil — Google review
Amazing location with different level slopes for everyone. Usually a bit crowded since it’s the main ski location in Lebanon but still you can enjoy your time. Tried the baby slope since it was my first time and it was a very good experience
Mike Aoun — Google review
Nice hotel with very friendly staff although it needs some renovation.
I recommend it especially if you're planning to ski the following day, you can have a very nice breakfast (open buffet)... They start serving it at 6h30 AM so you can eat and hit the slopes very early... Of course you should buy the ticket including "Refuge slope" or you won't be able to take the lifts from the hotel. In case you don't have your own skis/equipment with you, you can rent what you need from the shops at floor (-2).
After skiing you can hangout in the lounge and enjoy a snack) drink near the chimney for example :)
I also tried the Italian restaurant, the food was ok but the portions are very small and you will need to order several ones...
The swimming pool is great with a stable temperature of 29°C all the time.... Amazing view with snow surrounding the windows :)

Love this place. Slopes are well maintained and the resort is in a great location.
Only down side is the chair lifts that are slow and a bit old but for the day pass price it's well worth it.

I had a lot of fun, it was very nice. However, I wish the prices could be more affordable to be able to visit more often, and I wish the staff could put more care for the people there. There are several things that could be better still but the experience was good overall.

Had a visit with some friends, the place is enjoyable, the atmosphere was amazing, prices were affordable, the negative thing was not having arranged parking space, most of the cars are parked in a awful way, hope to see more improvement on my next visit .

The largest ski resort in the middle east. Great value for money on the weekdays, especially when both mzaar and warde slopes are open. Big enough to not get bored.
Elias Mefleh — Google review
By far the most sought after ski resort in Lebanon. The vast parking spaces aren't enough for the amount of clients, both locals and tourists.

Weather is amazing today, but very crowded in weekend and the parking was full at 9 am so should be early...so if you can visit it on weekday will be better,
Manal Fayoumi — Google review
Amazing experience, my favorite place for skiing!
Jad Masri — Google review
The resort is ok but very crowded, so you should expect long waiting lines at the ski lifts. Also, unfortunately people are not very respectful of nature and they throw away their trash on the slopes or, in most cases, right before the ski lift arrivals. But apart from that the slopes are in good condition, relatively easy level (mainly blue and some red, very few black). The parking lot is packed so you must arrive early to get a spot. Like between 7 and 8 maximum.
Michaël — Google review
First time skiing in Lebanon and I was super impressed with the vast mountains and amazing sceneries. The snow was fluffy which made skiing exciting. I would highly recommend Mzaar, the resort is well organized. Parking needs some attention as it was crowded and no one was there to direct the traffic out of the parking.
The Umayyad Mosque in Damascus is a significant cultural and historical site. It features an impressive prayer hall, intricate ancient mosaics, and a shrine dedicated to John the Baptist. The mosque is also known for being a royal burial site. Visitors can appreciate its architectural beauty and religious significance. Women planning to visit should bring their own Abaya to wear before entering the mosque's prayer area. This iconic destination should be on any traveler's must-visit list when exploring Damascus' historic sites.
Too visit The Umayyad Mosque was in my wish list for very long time felt great the memories to remember rest of my life experience.

Great history and beautiful design. One of the most popular and important mosques in syria and the arab word.
The place is entree free but you can't enter without being dressed modestly. The details of the buildings are amazing and the must ask for assistance in the tour to understand the real history.
This place can be over crowded and safety measures for corona are not taking place well.

Such a beautiful place and a spiritual atmosphere to make your daily prayers in. Clean, peaceful and quiet. If you are visiting Damascus for the first time you must visit the Umayyad Mosque.

This is such a different, beautiful mosque with a long history - a mix of Persian and Ottoman detailing, so quite different from the blue ceramic tiling you see in other mosques. The courtyard and minaret are breathtaking. The inside is very spacious as well and can accommodate lots of visitors and prayers. Females are given brown cloaks to wear.
Al-Hamidiyah Souq is a bustling marketplace that has been running for over a century. It offers an array of local food and handicraft stalls, making it an ideal spot for shopping like a local. In addition to the souq, visitors can wander through the streets of Old City and explore historical sites like Ma'alula Village and Mar Sarkis. For more information on other places to visit, travelers can utilize the Damascus route planning tool.
you cannot come in syria and don't go to this souq. this is the most incredible place i have never seen in my life ! for me the best way to visit it, it's too take all day and loose yournself inside it , you will discover so many beautiful shop, restaurant, patio etc...

Very old and nice street. During the day it is very crowded, even though it is a must to visit. It has many shops and stores, mostly for clothes and antiques, but there is also the very popular "Bakdash" shop, if you want to try Arabic ice cream with pistachio or Mhalayh. For me the best time to walk and get to enjoy all the nice details of this street is at night when all the shops are closed.

On last Tuesday before coming to Pakistan I visited the main Damascus City Market.
This market has 7 doors (as per local information).
In this market you will find huge stuff for male and female, boys and girls and all the things are real made by Syria.
Syrian chocolates are awesome I purchased 2 to 3 KG.
Syrian peoples were nice to me.
I visited this market 3 times during my trip.
I recommend to you please go and must visit.

The souq dates back to the Ottoman era, being built along the axis of the Roman route to the Temple of Jupiter around 1780 during the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid I,and later extended during the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid II. Nowadays it is one of the most popular shopping districts in Syria, being lined with hundreds of clothes emporiums, handicraft shops selling traditional crafts and jewelry, cafés, grocery stores, food stalls and ice cream parlors.

Amazing place to buy traditional Syrian items. It gives me the authentic Syrian taste. It has shops for mostly everything as such, traditional Syrian textile, cloths, Syrian decorations, Arabic items, musical instruments, fashion and home accessories and more. All sellers and shop keepers are very friendly and helpful. They helped me to find what I need after welcoming me with a great cup of coffee on the Syrian way. It's must to visit when you are in Damscus.

Awesome place, enjoy the forest, national trees of Lebanon, snow and amazing view. It worth to visit it several times. Try to go early to enjoy many hours there.
David Zaki — Google review
Shouf Biosphere Natural Reserve is the largest well protected in Lebanon, with many entrances (Bmahreih, Barouk, Maaser, Niha...) where nature lovers can enjoy plenty of trails, plus there are lots of side trails maintained by the reserve all around Shouf area...
As of Barouk entrance there are many nice relatively easy to moderate trails for hiking and snowshoeing and there are options to spice up your hike so hikers can extend the hikes from barouk forest to Maaser or to Bmahreih...
The forest as well as the tracks are well maintained, clean and safe due to the efforts by the reserve staff, you can hike by your self or you can have a guide.
There is no specific time to visit the reserve you will enjoy the hikes all around the year.
Here are some notes and recommendations from my many visits and hikes up there all around the seasons:
* Entrance fee should be paid at the entrance and you can use the ticket to visit other Shouf Reserve entrances on the same day
* Pack your hiking and safety essentials.
* Take photos and memories and leave nothing behind
* Keep on trail, to help protect young trees and wild life
* In the snow season you can rent snowshoes at the entrance
*Stick to the regulations and instructions given at the entrance
NB: for guidance and information about this trail or any other trails feel free to contact me ☺️

We decided to take a guide and didn't regret it. The guide took us to one area of the reserve and explained everything about the cedar trees.
Will definitely recommend the guide if you're looking to learn more about the ecosystem, the reserve and what they do to protect this place.

Magical views!
The air smells so nice and clean.
The quiet is just amazing, you don’t hear anything but the birds calling, it’s so so quiet.
The place is colder than Beirut (if you’re coming from Beirut during Summer in the morning or afternoon then it’s 10°c colder but still very nice).
People said this area is covered in snow during the snow season in Winter.
Prepare to walk, bring comfortable shoes and water. No bathrooms near the biosphere, you need to take a car from the beginning of the forest to reach a restaurant/cafe.
I highly recommend you visit this place at least once, the long road trip was so worth it.

I recently visited the Cedar Biosphere Reserve, and it was truly an awe-inspiring experience! The natural beauty of this sanctuary left me speechless. The abundant flora and fauna created a serene and captivating environment. The staff was extremely friendly and informative, offering simple yet informative explanations about the reserve's conservation efforts.
Walking along the well-marked trails was a delight, and the breathtaking views from the observation decks were a highlight. I was delighted to spot various wildlife, like colourful birds and graceful deer, in their natural habitats.
The facilities were clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable journey. I appreciated the clear signs and easy-to-follow maps, ensuring I didn't get lost in this vast paradise.
Overall, the Cedar Biosphere Reserve is a perfect destination for nature lovers of all ages. Whether you're a seasoned environmental enthusiast or just seeking a peaceful retreat, this reserve won't disappoint. I left with a sense of wonder and gratitude, knowing that such protected places exist for future generations to cherish and enjoy. A definite must-visit!

A 5 star rating is mainly to support and spread the message for eco tourism in Lebanon.
the reserve is well maintained, with lots various tracks accessible for all ages. Aged trees and newly planted trees are spread across a vast area of the land.
There isn't a specific time of the year where the reserve is best to visit. As long as it is accessible it will be interesting to watch.
Note that there is a small fee to be paid on each adult visiting 7000lbp but again this is for a good cause.
i recommend also taking the mountain hike that leads to the lake (don't take short cuts) as the scenery is really rewarding.
guided tours is also available for those who like learn more about the reserve.

Keshet Cave is absolutely a must-see whether you are an Israeli or a tourist. Admission is free 24/7, with plenty of parking and many picnic tables. The only downside is the stationary public restrooms which are permanently closed. The only option is to use stinky plastic booths. Otherwise, a great place to experience!

Beautiful spot. Short walk on the clifs with a beautiful view of the Galilee. Lots of space for sitting around nicely shaded picnic tables.

If you’re in the area, don’t skip this little gem. The parking lot is fairly close to the arch, maybe 10 minutes of walking. Coming in the right season (spring/early summer), you will still experience amazing blossom of wild flowers and native plants along the short trail. The cave itself is an amazing site, beautiful view of the mountains and theMediterranean sea. We also saw a family of rock hyrax. Beautiful.
The missing star is for the unfortunate trash along the path.

It's almost certain that Jesus taught in the 1st century synagogue that's been excavated here. The new chapel on site is wonderful, with an atrium dedicated to women, beautiful mosaics, and a great painting in the lower room of the woman receiving healing by touching Jesus' cloak.

Very interesting to learn how they discovered these ruins. The entrance fee is very cheap and they assign you a volunteer that gives you a tour either long or short depending on your time and it’s included with the entrance fee. I’m really happy to have insisted to come here.
yael cohen — Google review
My wife and I really enjoyed learning even more about the interesting history of Magdala and seeing the ongoing preservation efforts of Mary Magdalene's home village. Like all of the significant holy places on our journey through the holy Galilean area, this place has a story to share!
William Anderson — Google review
It’s always a grace to come to these places and this one is especially precious as there has been so much invested into the archeological sight as well as into the new buildings. The church is especially stunning and build and created in stunning art and excellence. It is absolutely worth it going there and seeing and experiencing it first hand!
Salvator S. — Google review
The # 1 most inspiring place in the Holy Land to me. This is the synagogue that Mary Magdalene met Jesus of Nazareth (most likely, almost for certain). It was covered with mud from about 100 A.D. to 2009 A.D. Jesus taught here. Jesus walked on these tiles. If you search for “magdalen synagogue discovered” you can read all about it.

Awesome place to stay at. The rooms are spacious with excellent bathrooms. View sight on premises are so nice. Very relaxing quiet place. Peaceful. Buffet is always fresh. Has its own archeological site. Very chill cool spot. It’s a pilgrimage housing but they are very respectful and will not infringe on anyone’s beliefs or practices. Highly recommend it.

Such a special place. There is a lot to see here. I love the beautiful chapel that has a direct view of the Sea of Galilee. The ruins are stunning, and the views of the sea are so beautiful! We would spend lots of time dipping our feet in the water and taking in the beautiful sunsets and sunrises.
Benjamin Griffin — Google review
Second time I visited! This time, the mosaics, the painting of the woman touching the fringe of Jesus’ garment, the sculptures and the view from the chapel over the Sea of Galilee really hit home! I will be back for sure!

Thank you Celine and Father Kelly for such an informative yet passionate tour, thank you for your heart for Jesus. Magdala is certainly a place you can’t miss when visiting Galilee region. Scan the QR code here to schedule a guided tour.

A very large spread out site on the sea of Galilee. Lots to see and learn. There is a local church body that also meets on the site and we met some people speaking in teaching so cool stories that helps bring available to life in a new way.
Nathan Bantle — Google review
Father Eamon Kelly is fantastic! He spent time with our whole group, gave answers to difficult questions and brought insight to the scriptures.
Seeing the synagogue where Jesus would have taught and the roads he would have walked on brings light to the whole story. The facilities and building look incredible and have layer after layer of detail.

Really nice. The audio guided round walk with 45 stations is entertaining and keeps captivated. Acre (Akko) has a rich history which is actually great explained during the walkabout.

Nice place but nothing much to see or do so be aware that it's going to be pretty short like 25min tops
Alon Dolev — Google review
I didn’t enter the museum, making do with a beautiful walk in the winter sunshine around the citadel walls. They are wonderful, informative wall, texts, charting the story of Napoleon’s siege of this Ottoman stronghold.
David Cohen — Google review
We stayed in Acre overnight, primarily to visit the Citadel. We arrived just before 9 and went straight in. There is a nice route laid out with plenty of information boards and exhibits. There is lots of information about the Military Orders, the Crusades, life at that period as well as an area that is family friendly with interactive displays and I think some dressing up areas.
The place is obviously pretty large and it took a couple of hours to see everything and by then it was crowded with lots of coach parties so if you want to see it in peace, arrive at opening time.
I'd recommend combing this with a trip to the nearby tunnels (very quick - 15 minutes there and back) and also the sea walls to look at the Ottoman walls and remains of the Crusader fortifications.

Not my first time and still worth the time.
The walk on the citadel at sunset is priceless, the view on the sea, the wind, the city, everything is just perfect.
I warmly recommend the experience.

Buy your combo tickets here for the citadel, museums, bathhouse and Templar’s Tunnel. It was well worth the 49 sheckal price for all of them.
The citadel itself was a really well done and well preserved structure. There was an excellent entertaining audio guide and I especially enjoyed the bathhouse videos.
We also paid the extra for the Leonardo de Vinci exhibit and enjoyed that.

We loved beautiful, romantic old part of Akko.
It is full of history which is presented in attractive, visual stories.
There is combined ticket you can Explorer Akko and Rosh HaNikra with. Very good choice!

Well presented and preserved crusader Castle in Acre, (Akko), Israel. Great museum with great audio visuals. Don't miss the secret tunnel that leads to the sea! Great for adults and kids. Lots of fascinating history. Headphones for tours in various languages as well.

Very interesting Museum of the crusaders. Easy and informative with the audio guide. It was perfect for us because it was so hot outside today and the museum is under the earth, nice with a good temperature. Price was 49 Schekel per person including an audio guide and it was for the other attractions too, the bath House s as bad the tunnel etc.
Roman Catholic church built in the Romanesque Revival style in 1914 on the site of old churches.
Beautiful church on top of what is believed to be Joseph’s workshop.
Israel Bimpe — Google review
Worth a short visit since it is only a very short walk from the big Annunciation Church. It only takes a few minutes to see. There is a nice church and then you go downstairs to view the location which might have been the home of the Holy Family and/or Joseph's carpentry workshop. They have kept the downstairs rock-hewn humble.

This is one of the most iconic churches in Nazareth.
Best visiting this when you already feel lost, dont know your purpose and about to give up in life.
Going here makes you reconnect with our God. Makes you feel connected again with Him. Trully amazing and priceless experience 👍👍

The church is nearby the Basilica of the Annunciation in the old city of Nazareth. It is relatively a smalll and quiet church that is believed to be the carpentry of St. Joseph. Underneath there are caves, old mosaic. Being there feels comfortable, cozy and relaxed.

The Centre International Marie de Nazareth is a diverse cultural complex located near the Basilica of the Annunciation that focuses on fostering relationships and dialogue among Christians and other religions. This Roman Catholic-run venue offers an archaeological site, gardens with Biblical flora, and a cafe with stunning 360-degree views of Nazareth. Visitors can explore in situ ruins dating back to the First Temple period in the basement while enjoying panoramic vistas from the rooftop garden.
Go here! Visiting the center will add to your experience of Nazareth. The best part: the very friendly and smart receptionist guy who will tell you about the ruins and architecture of ancient Nazareth. The 4 videos about the story of Mary and Jesus are interesting if you don't yet know the story. Otherwise you will not learn anything new. The view from the roof terrace is very nice. A good quiet spot to enjoy the sun for a few moments. Entrance fee is donation based.

The rooftop provides a good view to Nazareth. Worth the visit to get some valuable historical insights on Nazareth as well.

This is a wonderful, wonderful place to visit in Nazareth. A short walk from the Roman Catholic basilica of the Annuciation of Mary it has wonderful people and a beautiful movie experience that takes you through the life of Jesus and Mary in Nazareth. This center also sits on top of ruins of what a typical house may have looked like back in Jesus' day. You will not regret stopping in to say hi and learning even more about Jesus and Mary.
Jamie Symens — Google review
I visited the center awhile back and wanted to write a review to encourage others to visit. An excellent multimedia biblical movie, a stunning presentation. Visiting the center was absolutely worthwhile (which is opposite the Basilica of the Annunciation of Mary). A very informative and beautiful experience. A must see!

A must visit place for tourists here in Nazareth. It's just right across the street to the Church Of The Annunciation. I'd recommend everyone to watch all 04 (15 minutes each) video clips in 04 different theaters before walking all the way up to the top level where you'll have a wonderful view of Nazareth from the above.

I'll never travel to Tel Aviv without this trip planner again
The Church of Annunciation is a modernist, Franciscan-run Roman Catholic basilica built in 1969 on the site where many believe the Annunciation took place. It dominates the Old City skyline with its lantern-topped cupola and stands on what many Christians believe to be Mary's home. Visitors can walk inside for free and attend mass by checking schedules within the facilities, making it an ideal destination for those interested in Jesus, Mary, and Joseph history.
Beautiful, amazing, spiritual and peaceful place! As a Catholic being able to visit the place where The annunciation happened to the Virgin Mary was a simply wonderful and religious experience. The church is beautiful, on the exterior you can see images of the Virgin Mary for all different countries, worth to enjoy each one of them.
Miguel Opacic — Google review
One of the most famous and touristic place in Nazareth.
An entrance is free but be careful and wear clothes that cover your shoulders and knees at least.
You can find a gallery with frescoes from different countries. Also basilica is open for visiting.
Unfortunately the Museum on the territory was closed.
Good for visit.

In my opinion, one of the most impressive and amazing churches in the world. The visit to the Church of the Annunciation is powerful and interesting, the structure is amazing. The church was established at the site where, according to one tradition, the Annunciation took place. The church has a variety of works of art in different styles from all over the world.

One can light up an electric candle 🕯in this church - I really liked this idea as I believe that it is more friendly to the environment.
Another thing that I liked is an alley with the paintings and mosaics to the church from all over the world 🌎 One can find donations from the South America, India, and my homeland Ukraine 🇺🇦 It feels really good to find things related to your country when you are that far from it, especially when your country is under attack from the terrorist russian state.
If you plan your visit in advance, I also recommend to bring coins and cash for the donations to support the church.

Beautiful place in the center of Nazareth, open untill 5pm and free to visit. Inside you can see very colorful windows and many latin inscriptions. The thing i liked more was the collection of Maria portrait from all over the world. I strongly recommend to visit it and maybe take some pictures at night, because with all the lights on it's amazing.

Basilica of the Annunciation Nazareth, also known as The Catholic Church of the Annunciation, is the most impressive and spectacular site in the city and is considered to be one of the most holy churches for Christianity.
Basilica of the Annunciation an outstanding building in the center of town, is built where it’s believed the house the Virgin Mary was.
On the lower level is the most holy place – Mary’s cave, the cave in which, according to the Catholic-Christian tradition, Mary was visited by Archangel Gabriel and told her she is destined to carry Jesus in her womb.

What an adoring site. To have that preserve reminds us how grateful we should be to see history which changed the of Billions. Love the mosaic from different parts of the world.
Robert Sedillo — Google review
The city around it seems a bit chaotic and dirty, but don't let that discourage you from visiting the basilica itself.
The basilica is rather modern, built in the 60s, with beautiful mosaics and paintings of the Virgin Mary decorating the church's walls. It's a stunning sight to behold, and I was impressed by the attention to detail in the artwork.
But the most interesting thing about the basilica is on the lower floor. Here, there is a preserved cave where Angel Gabriel supposedly told Mary she was going to be pregnant with Jesus. It's one of the few places that keeps the original ruins of the first century, and that's well worth a visit.
Samuel Leça — Google review
There was a mix from different Cristian churches, orthodox, catholic etc and some of them was really strange. The way it was built is also strange. Although the building from outside is not ugly. I hope this is not the best church in Nazareth but our guide show to us only this.
Nikolai Nikolov — Google review
The church was built at where angel Gabriel announced to Virgin Mary that she would be pregnant and give birth to baby Jesus. And the town of Nazareth is where Jesus grew up. Beautiful church. 30% of Nazareth population is Christian.
The Bahá'í Gardens in Haifa, Israel, consist of a series of terraces descending 19 steep steps to a domed shrine that is the final resting place for the prophet-herald of the Baha faith. The gardens offer breathtaking views from the platform at the top and are well worth a visit even if you don't have any interest in Bahai culture or religion. Tours are available in both Hebrew and English and are first come, first served.
What a beautiful place to visit and experience. Have been to two Baha’i gardens including Los Angeles, CA., but this one, In Haifa, is breathtaking!!

One of the most beautiful gardens I’ve ever seen in my life. Starting from the top, the sea view through the garden is amazing. The grounds are immaculately kept and everything is so pristine. Learning about the Baha’i religion and it’s inclusiveness was also really interesting.

A beautiful and inspiring sanctuary on the hills of mount Carmel. Offers sweeping views of the Haifa harbour and bay. The gardens themselves are immaculate and we'll maintained. I enjoyed my visit. The gardens were closed to the public when I visited. We were able get a view from the top viewing deck and then joined a small guided walking tour from half way down (access through another gate). Our guide was informative and accessible.

Serenity. Peace. Presence. Otherworldly. It isn’t everyday that you can find a piece of heaven on Earth. There are places on our planet that may enable you to reach a higher conscience and touch the heavens, whether spelunking, redwoods, walkabout, pew in a “holy place”, it is possible. These gardens do it for me and many other fortunate friends.

There is this upper part, middle PaRt and bottom point. All separate entrances. So my plan of starting from the top and walking down did not work out 😂😂
In drakes words you got to start from the bottom to get to the middle and top.

An ordeal to get there unless by taxi or you're very, very fit to walk there as it's all uphill. Taxis are extremely expensive unless you can get a group together to share the cost. The view from the top, however, is fantastic, providing panoramic views of the Haifa Bay area.

It is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful places I have ever seen. The gardens are an absolute must-visit for anyone traveling to Haifa.
The gardens are built on a series of terraces, each offering a different view of the stunning landscape.
One of the highlights of my visit was the view of the city and the Mediterranean Sea from the upper terraces. The views were breathtaking, and it was a truly peaceful and serene experience.

First of all the entrance is free, which is a great plus for a place like this. Very nice view and beautiful gardens. Unfortunately isn't possible to visit the gardens on your own, but you have to wait for the guided tour (available in Jewish, Arab, English and Russian). A big no from my point of view is that you must stick to the high pace of the guides, so you have a very little time to enjoy the place and take some pictures, furthermore, the guide does not wait the group for the explanations, so if you waste one minute to take a photo, you'll miss the explanations about the place, the religion, etc.

Very beautiful place to visit in Haifa. If you are in Haifa, it is essential that you visit this garden. You will not be able to miss it since it is so grand and pretty.
Highly recommend you book the tours given by the staff. They will give a history about the Baha’i religion, the beliefs of Baha’i, the structure of the gardens etc. The guide was really informative and engaging.
If you are lucky to be in Haifa at night, be sure to head to the German Colony to take night views of the gardens
Nahshon — Google review
The best thing to do in Haifa! The gardens are immaculate and run completely by volunteers. My husband and I went on a guided tour which was free. I definitely recommend going on the tour as this is the only way to view the upper terraces. An absolutely beautiful, peaceful place.
Denaes Adamson — Google review
The Gardens are beautiful. First the top level is free to all great views of the Haifa bay and the Baha’i gardens and shrine from the top. However if you really want to experience the gardens then get tickets in advance. If you are in Haifa it should be a must. The tour is about 60 minutes. It is 750 steps down. You will have a guided tour in English if you want and can stop at about 4 levels. You cannot walk back up the steps. You can take a bus 136 -7 stops (I think you need a Rav Kav. Like a metro card to board the bus) to return you back to the top, or walk through the German Colony Blvd and get a taxi. It a bit of a walk but there are cafes along the way back to the Carmel mountain

If you have the chance to visit the beautiful city of Haifa, you don't want to miss this wonderful park! From the entrance at the top, you have wonderful view over the city and the Mediterranean Sea. We've been lucky enough to entrer the terrasses, though it seems like it's not always possible. Nonetheless, simply the views from up there are worth the visit.

National park encompassing the substantial & well-preserved ruins of an ancient Roman city.
Spectacular place to visit. Spent a good afternoon exploring in the heat and the shade. It was exciting to see the excavation. I visited the bathhouse and public latrines area. The main street was exciting as well. I didn't climb the hill and focused my time in the town.

We visited two weeks ago. We had national park pass, so it was free. Mostly the place includes remains of the ancient ruins. Amazing architecture. Wondered how they designed the bathroom with hot steam underneath the floor. The structures were similar to caesarea national park. Don't miss the entire view from hill top. Amazing and beautiful during sunset. Need atleast two hours to cover the entire area (on foot). Closing time is 4.30 pm. It has a souvenir shop.

Nice spot to see some ancient history! It was great to be able to see what a city would have looked like. If you do stop in be sure to check out the Egyptian ruins at the top of the hill overlooking the entire city. Lots of remains of ancient ruins like the colosseum, public sanitary, the theater, the city etc, etc. The architecture is amazing and what’s left of the buildings tell an amazing story about its greatness. Extremely good Roman archeological site….for its shape and all well preserved ruins (many mosaics, good theater,….) it is absolutely at the level of Rome forums

Stunning remains of over 20 layers of civilization. Most notable are the recent Roman ruins. One can picture chariots heading up and down the main street.
The 7000 seat theater is mostly standing and the original public bathrooms are nearby, what a gas!
There is an entrance plaza, a large bathhouse, streets, shops, a bridge, a ritual compound and more.
An earthquake in 749 shook the Roman temple and the huge columns fell. They still lay there and it's hard to imagine that this is all real and not replicas.
Amazing experience.

We attended the evening sound and light tour which includes a ten minute sound and light and an hour guide led tour of many of the sites. The park is well lit in most parts.
The sound and light was ok, projected onto the walls of the theatre sometimes the graphics were not the most clear.
The tour is a bit intensive and at some point we left to just enjoy the spectacle without the guide.
There were many children in attendance but I think their attention wanted as the tour progressed
Small children might be frightened by loud music and sounds during the light show.

Great place for swimming. Lots of fun to be had here as the water is comfortable year round. The day was comfortable warm and the water had the right temperature. And the colour of the water I found spectacular. Fantastic mountain retreat with crystal clear freshwater and an amazing back massaging waterfall. The place has a large pool suitable for swimming. It has numerous colored fishes. The open space is of grassland and a suitable place to spend time. The reflection of trees in the water is breathtaking. A beautiful park. A sweet place to swim and do a picnic. All natural pools make you feel like your in ancient times. The upper pool is crystal clear, and quite deep. They have shallow portions, and a smaller shallow area for small children. Water temperature is very pleasant, not cold. There are restrooms, with showers and changing areas. A few kiosks selling basic things. Picnic tables all over the park. Lifeguards on duty and security personnel. The entry fee is worth it for the amenities, and because they keep it clean. I'll be coming back.

It is a large place for picnics, taking your children, I guess swimming as well. I was there end of September and water was not really clean, neither the facilities. There are only 3 showers so you have to wait in line for them, bathrooms were very dirty so I guess many people prefer the water….if you bring bbq and lots of food you can enjoy but not really for quiet environmental relaxation.

We went midweek in May and again early June. Not crowded, the water is comfortably warm, crystal clear, an amazing shade of blue. The grounds are well kept, plenty of shade available. There's even a section where no bbq's are allowed, which is quite refreshing. Just about as close to paradise as you can get. Take plenty of water, swimming gear and sandwiches or buy at the shop.

It would be wise to bring water shoes, sun screen, and of course, a lot of liquids.
Be sure to keep an eye out for the small fishes in the pools. They like to nibble.
Ramat Hanadiv is a vast memorial garden and nature park located in Zichron Yaakov, Israel. It features a network of paths and hiking trails that meander through palm groves, rose gardens, and succulent beds. The park also houses the crypt of Baron Edmond de Rothschild, who played an essential role in establishing agricultural communities during Israel's early years.
Great place to visit. Beautifully kept park. Few activities for families and kids. Few types of gardens inside one place. Next to the park there are few restaurants. Inside the park there is a little shop to buy souvenirs, Cafe area with ice cream and coffee, toilets, big parking area

Beautiful park had a really nice time there, clean facilities, well taken care of reserve, gorgeous and artistic gardens and more! Environmentally friendly. Great place for lovely nature time, on each time of the year the place looks different due to many plants types.

Great walk for all ages and energy levels. Stopped here on Shabbat morning around 915am. We beat the crowd and heat. We only went to the memorial garden as my dad has issues walking (due for knee replacement). Beautiful gardens.

Very beautiful park for a short 30-60 minutes hike. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The plants variety is ok - they could add more exotic stuff. The "smells" garden is awesome!
Officially the entrance is free but you would likely arrive with a car and will need to pay 25 NIS for parking.

Very nice garden with beautiful flowers and plants. If you are a green thumb lover like me, you must visit it. You are not allowed to bring any food inside (good thing actually, as it is super clean). There was a nice guard at the entrance.

A wonderful garden with a view over the Mediterranean. A walk at a normal pace would take around one hour.
The park is accessible, and the walk is easy with many places to rest and sit along the trail. It might be a little chilly due to the height and breeze from the sea.
The entrance is free but the parking costs 25 NIS per car.

I live close to this park, a nature reserve, so weather permitting - which in Israel is most of the time- I go biking or hiking, walking, strolling through this park. My last visit was with a group of friends for a sunrise hike over the old ruins. Spectacular!

Amazing place to enjoy nature and have a closer look at the plants and flowers in Israel. The most incredible thing about it is that no matter how many times you go to the park you'll always have a great experience from nature and from the amazing things Rothschild has given our beautiful country . . .

Caesarea National Park features the remains of a port city built by King Herod, including ancient Roman ruins such as an aqueduct and amphitheater. It also boasts upmarket harbor shops and dining options, making it a great destination for history enthusiasts and those interested in archeology. Visitors can swim in the sea at nearby HaBonim Beach, which is less crowded on weekdays.
Beautiful and rich in preserved history. If you like history, archeology and having a glimpse into how people in the past lived, these Roman ruins will give you a great view. It is worth the stop to see.

Caesarea port is one of my favorite places in the world. So much history and the ruins and I love to sit on the walls and watch the amazing sunset.

Loved it.
I love the Israeli park system but this one in particular was a little annoying. It seems they’ve allowed to much of the world to deep into the antiquity; the amphitheater was dressed up for a concert and every where you turned there were concessions blasting junky western music.

Very cool place to visit in Israel. Has very deep history and beautiful features. Highly recommended to come during weeks days, less crowded.
Parking was free, at least when we visited!
Park has a very nice museum on site, highly recommended to visit and watch the movie about the park.
If you want to see everything, it will take you about 3 hours to walk around. Take your time and drink a lot of water.

A must visit! This is a good half day tour from Tel Aviv or if you travelling to Haifa. Relatively big ancient ruins site, including the hippodrome, amphitheatre, and a stunning view of the crystal clear blue sea.
You can also watch a short clip about the history of Caesarea and how/why the Romans built the city.
If you are going on a sunny day, be sure to put plenty of sunscreen, bring a hat and water! There’s really not many shades available to hide under. Also don’t forget to visit the Aqueduct which is 5 minutes drive away (and is free to visit!)

Love love love this city. So much to see and do. History and artifacts are everywhere. Definitely pack a hat, comfy walking shoes, sunscreen and water as there is lots of walking and exploring to do and it gets quite warm with little shade. Nice places to stop and eat overlooking the water but make sure to book if you want a window seat. Really cool place and a must see if you are in Israel. Highly recommend.

A roman historical place built by Herod the Great. I visited this place by night and it had a different feel to it. The lighting at night is really beautiful and the sound and smell of the ocean complete the vibe. I was here on a Saturday night and it was very lively, music playing, couples walking around, people dining and wining. Definitely a historical and beautiful place to visit on your trip to Israel.

Great place for being immersed in history while having good restaurants all around. I was shocked that they closed at 5pm the entry to the ancient remains.. I mean where do the directors of the place leave? It is Israel in august, you need to offer an early evening tour as it is too hot during the day!!! We had a full day with friends, restaurant, ice cream and a nice walk, plus we went to the beautiful little beach just after the beach bar and had a great swim (but remember to bring shoes as it is very rocky). It would have been 5 stars if it wasn’t for the place closing at 5pm!

One of the most important national parks in Israel, very interesting and well organized. I was there on a Monday and I parked for free right at the main entrance to the park.
If you intend to visit several national parks, I recommend you to buy the Israel Pass for 3 sites (78NIS) or 6 sites (110NIS).
You must reserve at least 2-3 hours so that you can admire all these special places in no rush.

Beautiful and rich in preserved history. If you like history, archeology and having a glimpse into how people in the past lived, these Roman ruins will give you a great view. It is worth the stop to see. This is an impressive Roman era ruin. It is vast and beautiful because it was a right next to the Mediterranean Sea. I enjoyed seeing all the first century arches, the ruins of Herod’s palace and bathhouse, the hippodrome, and the amphitheater. Going here is like walking into history. Paul and Peter from the Bible spent significant time in this place. Even if you are not a history buff, it is easy to imagine people living here and their way of live. It's also a home of amazing restaurants and craft galleries. A must visit.
Alex Drukpa. — Google review
It's all the ruins of what once was great port city. Most of the structures are gone, what's left are pieces of such structures, many are mounted on metal posts.
I had visited other ruins of old towns/cities in my global travel. This one gave a distinct disappointment as there seems to be no signs of archaeologic activity on site.
What's notably left here are:
1. the Roman Amphitheater, which has been dressed up and used for concerts: really? in such a fragile environment???
2. the Hippodrome, a miniature version of Roman's Palatine.
3. portions of the citadel and tower.
I'm not sure the 39NIS (10.26USD) is justified.

Went for a day trip here. Takes about 2 hours to explore it all. Can spend more time to relax by the port in restaurants within the park. Ruins from the Roman times..the view is enhanced by the sea besides. Two beaches nearby to add to the trip. Worth visiting for sure when in Israel or when a short one day vacation is what you are looking for.

If you love history, you're gonna love this archeological park! The Roman amphitheater, the Hippodrome, the Aqueduc and the ruins of Herode's Palace, built for Roman Emperor Augustus, are really something to see. You can even see Cleopatra's Pool ;-)

The history is amazing. How civilizations built this port city long ago shows the ingenuity of the time. A sobering fact is of how this was only accomplished by the sacrifice of slaves.
The Mediterranean is a beautiful sea and you can at least do your toes here.
The hippodrome was the most fascinating to me as I love horses. All I could think about was galloping around that track. On a horse of course.
What an experience.
Open-air space including deer & other animals, plant displays, mazes & a musical water fountain.
Awesome I recommend very neat And clean place.. 💯 amazing

The place is not that big, a lot of visitors.
Options to interact with birds (parrots) and farm animals. Beautiful orchids park. Butterfly Pavillion is absolutely overrated. Animals are tired of kids, but friendly.
Surprisingly, the orchids they sell their are badly treated. They give discounts for the orchids because their roots are full of water, be aware while choosing.

It’s nice to go through the Garden and see all of the beautiful plants and trees, you can actually buy almost any flower or plant you see inside.
The place is very clean and organized.
I would skip the “water show”, seems like it didn’t had maintenance in a while and most of it doesn’t really work...

The best amateur park, it truly has good and nice places. But it is an amateur, all facilities are made from the same stuff you buy home.
However the entrance price, is like a professional park. The jerusalem zoo entrance . Costs the same.

Nice park. Best part was the parrots section which might sit on your sholder or head, which is very fun for kids and adults alike. There are a few picnic tables and a coffee shop inside. There aren't any drinking points which I expect to have especially during hot summer days. The place feel like it could use a good round of maintenance and definitely reprice the entry fee which is very high without using different discounts.

The place is beautiful, as well as the flowers, great for nature loving people , and for whoever wants a short 2 -3 hours tour. The park has Lots of spots to sit around and have lunch. However I wish there was a bit more animals, and I wish they would put them together in bigger cages , instead of small & lonely cages.
Kids' play equipment, a skatepark & modern sculpture in a sprawling green space with ponds & palms.
It's a very good place to go for a run or to, set for a picnic. It's great if you visit with family and friends, or walk the dog. Green grass, tall trees, and a walking trails. Great cafeteria and clean toilets, and a small two gardens for dogs. I love this place!

The perfect park to visit when undertaking leisure activities. Especially with the outdoor gym equipment and cycling paths.
The cafe/restaurant is decent, although the food, drinks etc may be fairly pricey but it's all worth it when you are having a great time on holiday!
My favourite thing about Kfar Saba Park has to be the green space, as the atmosphere is relaxing and it really does feel like paradise with all the palm trees in sight. If anyone happens to be in Kfar Saba, do visit the park!

Great, unique workshops for kids, for each age range there's a different coarse. Great place to take the kids - innovative, immersive, and interactive. They have "paths" with different themes for various age groups, including adults. The experiences are extensive, (2 hours the beatles one), so don't expect action all the time, but you and the kids will have great moments. Great opportunity to understand how a blind person feels. The Mount of Olives is a historical mountain that is mentioned in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Today, it serves as a cemetery and sacred spot for many people. It is one of the most important sites to visit in Jerusalem, along with the Old City. If the weather permits, tourists can explore these areas on foot. However, if it's too hot or cold outside, visitors can opt to visit museums or underground sights instead.
Definetly a gorgeous place to visit at least once in life.
Hearing the local stories and being part of the history is something awesome.

This is a really interesting place to visit. Having read a lot of the history about this place and seen both the films about Jesus, series Jesus of Nazareth and the 2017 series The Real Jesus of Nazareth, it was great to actually visit where Robert Powell went in the series for myself. It’s a unique experience even if you are not that religious. There is a lot of history in this area. It’s a bit of a walk from the city, especially walking up from Gethsemane to the top.
The views are fantastic, you can see right over the city and clearly see how the old city used to look. If you go to Jerusalem, walking up to Seven Arches ( the actual location of the top ) is a must.

The Mount of Olives provides a panoramic view of Jerusalem at the base of the groves of olive trees.
The Mount of Olives is named for the olive groves that once covered its slopes. The southern part of the mount was the Silwan necropolis, attributed to the elite of the ancient Kingdom of Judah. The mount has been used as a Jewish cemetery for over 3,000 years and holds approximately 150,000 graves, making it central in the tradition of Jewish cemeteries.
There are several key events in the life of Jesus, as related in the Gospels, that took place on the Mount of Olives, and in the Acts of the Apostles it is described as the place from which Jesus ascended to heaven. Very powerful site.

There’s no need to mention the million reasons for visiting Jerusalem. There is, however, good enough reason to mention this beautiful mountain ridge right outside the city. The Mount of Olives, so named for the olive groves that once dotted its slopes, is East Jerusalem’s most prominent point, towering over 800 meters above sea level. This holy site is associated with Islam, Judaism and Christianity, and has been used as a place of prayer and burial since the days of the First Temple. The mountain provides breathtaking views of Jerusalem and beyond – you can enjoy the panorama from the observation platform at the peak.

The Garden Tomb is a small and peaceful graveyard located in Jerusalem that some believe houses the tomb of Jesus Christ. The garden is filled with tranquil gardens and peaceful trees, making it a lovely place to relax or reflect on Christs life and death.
Beautifully maintained gardens and friendly staff. The rest rooms are clean and it was just a lovely experience. We were lucky enough to go during the day and also attend the Joshua Aaron consert at night. What an amazing experience.

A must see if you are in Jerusalem. Beautiful surroundings. Great presentation by our guide. She presented compelling evidence that points to the Garden Tomb being the actual place where Jesus was executed, buried and rose from the grave!
Karl Gabel — Google review
Although there is no absolute certainty that this was, in fact, the tomb where Jesus was laid and from which he rose, its internal structure is exactly the same as that described in Holy Scripture. The place is wonderfully well maintained. When in Jerusalem, a visit to this place is a must. Beautiful and exciting!

Beautiful place for reflection. Since there are not many tourists around Israel right now it was an unusually quiet and peaceful area.

Highly qualified guides do a great job of presenting the evidence that this is the actual site of the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Christ. The grounds are beautifully maintained and there are multiple sites for group meetings for lectures. Group admissions are regulated so that the grounds don’t become crowded. You can enter and view the Garden Tomb.
Jeffrey Harwell — Google review
Beautiful place. Clearly there is no claim that this the actual place, but it still is a better insight into what an actual tomb would have looked like than the holy sepulchre with all it’s trappings. A ‘thin’ place.

Just a must to see where Jesus was crucified. The tomb from which He has risen. This is a place of prayer. Has a beautiful garden. Archaeological heritage of the first century is in this garden such as tombs, water cellars, ancient winepresses. Reading the bible verses and exploring this place are chill to the bone. I saw this hill that looks like a skull. This tomb behind it. Peaceful garden in Jerusalem that contains the tomb of Jesus.
Located just outside the city walls of Jerusalem you will find The Garden Tomb, a possible location for the crucifixion, burial and resurrection of Christ Jesus. The local tour guide explained the history of the Tomb and the garden. The area of the tomb is open for visitors to see.
Near to the Damascus Gate and standing in the shadow of Skull Hill you will find this beautiful garden with its ancient empty tomb.
The gardens are beautiful and peaceful with many chapels throughout with people praying and singing.
Alex Drukpa. — Google review
No matter if this is a specific historic spot it is a great representation of a stone hill next to a garden in which a garden tomb was built. They did not claim to be the actual spot of Jesus's burial but that it could have been based on the time period of the place and what has been found. Early traditions point to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre as the actual site but this site gives you more of a feeling of how it would have actually looked in the first century. We also were able to have a lovely worship service with communion at the site.

Absolutely AMAZING!! The GARDEN TOMB is probably the NUMBER 1 place to visit on your trip to Israel 🇮🇱, in Jerusalem.
To sit quietly in these beautiful gardens & to have HOLY COMMUNION is SUPER SPECIAL!!
To go INSIDE & SEE the EMPTY TOMB & to KNOW our SAVIOUR & our MESSIAH IS ALIVE!! Hallelujah!!
This was one of the Highlights of our trip - DO NOT MISS IT!!
There is also very good & knowledgeable guides (missionaries) from the UK, that gave us such wonderful insight on the events that took place in that particular area as well as in Jerusalem. Highly recommended to ask these tour guides to explain & to give some context to the events that took place there a couple of thousand years ago!! As we were praying, praising & worshipping JESUS CHRIST & having HOLY COMMUNION we became SO aware of the HOLY SPIRIT - we couldn't hold back the tears ...

For non Catholic Christians (I'm Catholic) they believe Christ was crucified and hurried here. I've been to both and I don't care both are plausible and actually very close to each other. So I have no problem with either speculation. I love them both. As an adult I can say I wept like I never thought I could.

The mammoth Mahane Yehuda Market is a popular destination for tourists and locals in Jerusalem. It offers a diverse selection of goods, from fresh produce to clothing and shoes. At night, it's lively with music and graffiti.
I learned about this market from friends who went and took a culinary tour here. I saw several of those tours and people looked like they were really enjoying it.
I walked around on my own and it took a few hours. There are loads of fruit and vegetable stands, halvah stores, olives, spices, candy, a few Judaic stores, cell phone stores, meat and fish stands, places for gifts and loads of restaurants.
It’s a great place to shop.

This is a great market for a variety of local foods and drinks, as well as a few other things, but mainly food and drink in abundant variations - check the photos. Many locals come to buy their fruits and groceries here which gives you a hint at the quality. After about 100 meters in, you have the "copy paste" of the previous stalls, just slightly differently decorated.
Worth a visit for the experience.
When ordering, be sure to give a requested weight of what you want to order, otherwise they will fill your bags and you will end up paying more than you perhaps expected i.e. With nuts and seeds

One of my favorite places in Jerusalem to start a day trip in this special city. Walking through the market, grabbing a cup of coffee and buying some fresh baked goods and other stuff. Highly recommended!

Local Farmer's Market of Jerusalem. The freshest produce, cheeses, meats, poultry and baked goods. Lots of bars and hole in the wall eateries. From traditional to exotic. It's where most of the locals shop. If, like me, you're into and like to explore bazaars and local Farmer's Markets, then you have to experience this one. Prepare to spend couple of hours. Especially if you plan to sit and enjoy some fine eateries, wine and cheese shops.

Crowed but it’s where to feel the real life of Jerusalem. Food there is diversified and bars have incredible atmosphere

One of the best markets I have been to in Israel. Extremely clean, and the place sells such a huge variety of items (fresh fruits, dried fruits, fish, sweets such as halva and baklava). There are many food options in or around the market, so it is a good place to grab some lunch or a bite if you are hungry. Definitely a good place to buy some Israeli snacks home

This is a diverse and varied market that at some points in the week, can be chaotic and fun!! You get all the vibes, all the music and the people are friendly!!
This is a great market for a variety of local foods and drinks, as well as a few other things, but mainly food and drink in abundant variations. Great market with good selection of food options and little delicacies to taste. Had a sabich and a pita falafel to go. Do visit this place if you are in Jerusalem and want to get a vive of the lively and the biggest marketplace in the area. It stays closed on Saturday.

This location is one of the 'MUST visit' locations that I found while visiting Jerusalem. The marketplace has everything from a variety of foods ...to clothing, and even if you don't buy anything - this is an amazing opportunity to walk around and see some of the vibrancy, and friendliness that make Jerusalem a wonderful place to visit.

A kaleidoscope of color, aroma, taste, sound and touch. A feast for the senses. Well worth a slow wander around, trying various tidbits on offer, making select purchases, stopping for an aromatic coffee and fresh pastry.
An easy walk from anywhere around central Jerusalem, or catch the light rail.

Usually completely crowded, this market is where you experience the city. Everything here screams authenticity and makes you want to come back for more. The food selection is diverse as well as the bars all over the market.

Obsessdd with this market in Jerusalem, so many delicious food options. The bakeries are incledible. You will also find a lot of snacks, fruits stands, clothing, souvenirs, bars.
Different vibe at night, the market transforms into a fun place to hang out, have a bite and drinks.
The Israel Museum, Jerusalem, is one of the most important museums in Israel and has a comprehensive collection of historical artifacts from archaeology to modern art. The museum features regular and rotating special exhibitions as well as cultural programs for children.

Amazing place, especially the indoor-outdoor flow. Loved the Shrine of the Book and the model of the Second Temple and the Old City! A absolute must-see while in J’lem!

This was the most impressive museum we have ever been to! We enjoyed it so much we went twice during our time in Jerusalem!
Thinking we were just going to see important Israeli artifacts, we were extremely surprised to see archaeological remains from around the world, painting a picture of the evolution of civilization. There were also Jewish displays of life and art, modern and contemporary art from around the world, and the most amazing outdoor display of a replica of Jerusalem’s Old City during the time of The Second Temple. The biggest treat were The Dead Sea Scrolls, which I did not know much about until seeing this exhibit. Excellent collection!

The Israel Museum in Jerusalem is a great experience to visit. Huge place with a lot of exhibitions. I highly recommend to visit the Shrine of the book where you can find a significant exhibition of The Dead Sea Scrolls and Qumram.

This was a highlight of our trip. It's a huge museum with lots of various exhibits with various themes and overall, it's very well done. It is very big though, and directions to certain exhibits weren't as clear as we'd hope so we did waste some time looking around for things as it's not labeled well.
With that said, there's a lot to see and learn about. The must see is the Shrine of the Book where you can see the Dead Sea Scrolls and Qumran. There are a lot of archaeological artifacts all throughout this massive place and so getting here early in the day is advised so you can see as much as you want without having to rush. When we were there, they had replicas of various old synagogues from different corners of the world and it was very interesting. I could ramble on and on about everything there is to do there, but it's forever changing, so when you know you're going to the area, look up what they have showing and head to those exhibits first.
Based on the fact that there's so much to take in and exhibits that change often, this is definitely a place you can come to several times. There's a beautiful gift shop at the exit (of course) and I can't really speak to parking much as we took a taxi there and back, but definitely be sure not to miss out on a visit here when you're in Jerusalem.

A must go for all visiting Jerusalem. The synagogues from around the world are incredible, the shrine of the book is unique, and the different temporary exhibits are great. This is also a kid friendly museum. It's open on shabbat which is the best, and the cafe with excellent coffee is also open on shabbat, one of the few in Jerusalem. It's not a quick walk there without Public transit, but it is worth it.

I can't believe I have lived in Israel for 27 years and it took me this long to visit this incredible museum. I felt connected to the powerful history of this important city in a way that I never had before. I needed more time to explore than I realized that I would and I will return soon.

We reached there late, just 1 hour before closing time so was not able to see much thing.
The Musuem people asked us to leave by 4 45 itself.
I suggest if you are planning go to the Musuem be try to have enough time.
Where we went it was looking good and they have maintained it well.

Everything you want to know about Israel's history is in the museum. Dead Sea Scrolls, pottery jars, mosaics, money, ossuary boxes, bones, (including a heel bone with a nail through it - think Crucification). An excellent museum.

Must stop if you are in Jerusalem. The artifacts are amazing. Unfortunately you can't take pictures inside the museum itself. There is plenty to see and you can get a sense od Israel's history.

It's an amazing place! Delved not only in its own but all who inhabited and were near by. There was a great deal to see. If anything - start very early as you can be there all day! Free audio guide and roaming chairs included. Many sights/activities that are kid oriented with a neat 'Under the Ocean' themed area to make them conscious about the planet.

Disappointed with the amount of fake mosaics and other things in the museum. While the model of the second temple is interesting, it reminds me of the miniatures in Lego Land. But biggest disappointment was with the Dead Sea Scrolls. You can’t take a picture in there despite the fact that what’s there is also a fake (which is politely termed a facsimile). Overall, the amount of fake items completely detracts from the visit.

My visit to the Israel Museum was a remarkable journey through history, culture, and art. The museum's expansive collection impressed me with its range, covering everything from ancient archaeological finds to modern artworks. The Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls, was an absolute highlight, offering a profound glimpse into the past.
What stood out to me was the thoughtfully curated layout of the museum. The thematic arrangement of exhibits made it easy to explore different aspects of Israeli heritage and global artistic achievements. The attention to detail in each display was evident, allowing me to learn and appreciate the significance of each artifact.
The outdoor Billy Rose Sculpture Garden was a serene retreat, offering a unique blend of nature and art. I found it to be a perfect place to reflect after my indoor explorations. Additionally, the museum's educational initiatives and engaging workshops showcase their commitment to fostering learning and creativity.
The staff's knowledge and passion were evident, as they readily shared insights and answered questions, enhancing my overall experience. The museum's location in Jerusalem, surrounded by the beautiful landscape, added to the charm.
Visiting the Israel Museum was not just a visit to a museum; it was an immersive dive into history, culture, and artistry. Whether you're a history enthusiast, an art lover, or simply curious about the world, this museum offers an exceptional and enlightening experience that should not be missed.

Many expositions, occasional activities for children and nice garden. If you are not interested in particular exposition, but want to see all, 3 hours is not enough.

The scale model of first century Jerusalem is with the visit. It’s spectacular. Very disappointed in the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit; was hoping to see an actual scroll, not just a facsimile. The artifact exhibits were ok, but far short of what I expected given the richness of biblical archaeology in Israel.

Perhaps because we went on the Sabbath (Saturday), there were many families with strollers and young children. As you would expect from a country with a birth rate of over 3, I felt the national character was tolerant towards children. Some people bring their dogs with them, so we let them in with them.
The exhibits have the feel of a national museum, and the exhibits related to Judaism are overwhelming.
Biblical manuscripts, cultures from various parts of the diaspora, and the Torah are of particular interest.
The exhibits on Islam and Greece are also more extensive than I expected.
I was amazed by the glass technology of ancient Mesopotamia.
The contemporary art museum also has many exhibits, and the Dead Sea salt art is particularly interesting.
The adjacent shops are also recommended.

This is an absolute must see venue. The expansive, well documented display cases with adequate room to comfortably view and study. This place multistory so plan on several hours of enjoyment and learning. We need to go back a second time! The mosaics are beautiful.
Museum in Jerusalem that tells the story of the 6,000,000 Jews who were killed by the Nazis during WWII. The exhibits are extensive and cover everything from concentration camps to methods of murder and torture. It is an emotionally difficult but important tour.
Absolutely fascinating place. You'll need a booking reservation. This can be completed on arrival, but entry could be delayed. Bags aren't permitted. Free lockers are available downstairs. There is more to the place than you may think. Be sure you have plenty of time. It's definitely worth the time.

Most beautiful architecture, very user friendly with audio visual recordings. The chronological arrangement and the flow is well thought out. Picturesque views of Jerusalem at the end of the memorial. Would definitely like to visit again, with more tissues of course.

I visited this place with friends, you should prepare yourself very well emotionally and spiritually, it's not like any museum, the way it design is really unique and the narrative meanwhile the diversity of the contents, the way they present in the same time the politics aspects.
I hope this place will be more open to accepting people from different perspectives and religions.
The location of this place is provocative for some people and neighbors, that's what I heard.

It will never be possible to understand how such evil existed. This place takes you on a journey through time and year after year reveals the events that led to it. This is a rare and humane record of the atrocities that took place, and of the starvation that took place. This is a visit you should not miss. It will definitely make you think about human nature and the things it is capable of doing to other human beings.

Nobody can miss it! There are a lot of real videos, pictures, belongings and statements by survivors. Spare 3 to 4 hours to spend there. The whole experience is just amazing and very touchy. I suggest you leave the children's memorial to the end. I got there by tram + short walk. Quick, easy and cheap. Entrance to the museum is free but you need to book in advance. Map is 12 nis and I suggest you buy it. If you are blessed like me, you will meet a lovely lady who is a survivor and she will explain the map to you.

Yad Vashem: Will be one of the Most Historical, Beautiful, Educational, Somber and Sorrowful Places You Could EVER Visit. As if Learning about the Holocaust wasn't enough; This Place puts everything you ever learned about the Holocaust into a WHOLE Different Perspective and I couldn't Stop Crying The whole time. I was enveloped with every photograph, every sound, letter, artifact, diary, projections on the walls, music; even others walking around with hands over their mouths to muffle their cries. This place puts your Mind back into another time in World History, where Millions of innocent Lives were Taken.
A must visit museum for every person on the planet. The horrible history our not that distant ancestors experienced must not be forgotten and learned in the near and distant future. One of the most incredible museums about the holocaust I've ever been to. So many objects, statements, information, etc. You need to book your visit in advance, due to this museum is sooooo busy, you not going to be able to get access without a previous booking. Only 15 minutes from Jerusalem's city centre it is a great opportunity to see a big collection of one event we hope that it never happens again.

Outstanding. A must see if you come to Israel. The museum has a terrific, modern architecture with plenty of significance. The displays are in chronological order. I thought I knew a lot about the Holocaust and found out I knew very little. The displays are super powerful.

A must for everyone. It is an educational visit. Budget ample time. It isn’t easy. But it’s necessary for Jew and non Jew alike. There are no tickets or admission fees. But they will hand you and entry permit. Take Herzl exit in light rail (end of the line) and either catch a free shuttle or walk down road. 10 min max walk.

Very impressive and interesting telling of the story and terrible history of the holocaust. Inside is a lot of information and outside it's very nice to walk around. All trees are a memorial to someone who helped Jewish people during the time.
