🕊️ The fabled Sea of Galilee is where Christians believe Jesus walked on water, calmed the storm, and made Peter and Andrew into “fishers of men.” It's where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. And it's where Jesus fed the masses with a few loaves and fish and gave his Sermon on the Mount.

The Sea of Galilee (Hebrew: יָם כִּנֶּרֶת, Judeo-Aramaic: יַמּא דטבריא, גִּנֵּיסַר, Arabic: بحيرة طبريا), also called Lake Tiberias, Kinneret or Kinnereth,[3] is a freshwater lake in Israel. It is the lowest freshwater lake on Earth and the second-lowest lake in the world (after the Dead Sea, a saltwater lake),[4] at levels between 215 metres (705 ft) and 209 metres (686 ft) below sea level.[5] It is approximately 53 km (33 mi) in circumference, about 21 km (13 mi) long, and 13 km (8.1 mi) wide. Its area is 166.7 km2 (64.4 sq mi) at its fullest, and its maximum depth is approximately 43 metres (141 ft).[6] The lake is fed partly by underground springs but its main source is the Jordan River, which flows through it from north to south and exits the lake at the Degania Dam.

We're happy to have experienced sailing on a wooden boat across the Sea of Galilee. A good and unforgettable experience for all of us. The skipper even taught us some dance steps while sailing. After the boat ride, all of us were given a certificate that we had survived the trip. It's one for the books. It's a good thing the weather cooperated with us, so sailing was a breeze.

Best stops along Haifa to Jerusalem drive
The top stops along the way from Haifa to Jerusalem (with short detours) are Old City, Western Wall, and Baháʼí Garden Haifa. Other popular stops include Sea of Galilee, Yad Vashem, and Church of the Annunciation.
The Bahá'í Gardens in Haifa, Israel, consist of a series of terraces descending 19 steep steps to a domed shrine that is the final resting place for the prophet-herald of the Baha faith. The gardens offer breathtaking views from the platform at the top and are well worth a visit even if you don't have any interest in Bahai culture or religion. Tours are available in both Hebrew and English and are first come, first served.
What a beautiful place to visit and experience. Have been to two Baha’i gardens including Los Angeles, CA., but this one, In Haifa, is breathtaking!!
Wear comfortable shoes she nice there are lots of stairs and exploring.

One of the most beautiful gardens I’ve ever seen in my life. Starting from the top, the sea view through the garden is amazing. The grounds are immaculately kept and everything is so pristine. Learning about the Baha’i religion and it’s inclusiveness was also really interesting.

Beautiful gardens with an astonishing view of the area. Gardens are very well maintained, free of litter. A great place to take photos with your loved ones.

A beautiful and inspiring sanctuary on the hills of mount Carmel. Offers sweeping views of the Haifa harbour and bay. The gardens themselves are immaculate and we'll maintained. I enjoyed my visit. The gardens were closed to the public when I visited. We were able get a view from the top viewing deck and then joined a small guided walking tour from half way down (access through another gate). Our guide was informative and accessible.

Serenity. Peace. Presence. Otherworldly. It isn’t everyday that you can find a piece of heaven on Earth. There are places on our planet that may enable you to reach a higher conscience and touch the heavens, whether spelunking, redwoods, walkabout, pew in a “holy place”, it is possible. These gardens do it for me and many other fortunate friends.
Chawn Aray — Google review
There is this upper part, middle PaRt and bottom point. All separate entrances. So my plan of starting from the top and walking down did not work out 😂😂
In drakes words you got to start from the bottom to get to the middle and top.
View is amazing 🤩
Architectural excellence and heavenly garden that is the heart ❤️ of Haifa. Amazing at night as well.
Faraaz Ali — Google review
An ordeal to get there unless by taxi or you're very, very fit to walk there as it's all uphill. Taxis are extremely expensive unless you can get a group together to share the cost. The view from the top, however, is fantastic, providing panoramic views of the Haifa Bay area.
Fiona Vaughan — Google review
The gardens and the view of the Haifa Bahá’í Gardens are amazing. Haifa is a beautiful town north of Israel, the view from the top of the garden is spectacular. Do not miss this place if you are in the area
Miguel Opacic — Google review
It is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful places I have ever seen. The gardens are an absolute must-visit for anyone traveling to Haifa.
The gardens are built on a series of terraces, each offering a different view of the stunning landscape.
One of the highlights of my visit was the view of the city and the Mediterranean Sea from the upper terraces. The views were breathtaking, and it was a truly peaceful and serene experience.

First of all the entrance is free, which is a great plus for a place like this. Very nice view and beautiful gardens. Unfortunately isn't possible to visit the gardens on your own, but you have to wait for the guided tour (available in Jewish, Arab, English and Russian). A big no from my point of view is that you must stick to the high pace of the guides, so you have a very little time to enjoy the place and take some pictures, furthermore, the guide does not wait the group for the explanations, so if you waste one minute to take a photo, you'll miss the explanations about the place, the religion, etc.
Giovanni — Google review
Some of the most beautiful gardens in the world. The Bahai faith is extremely welcoming and kind as you walk through the gardens at their holy site. Highly recommend going.

Very beautiful place to visit in Haifa. If you are in Haifa, it is essential that you visit this garden. You will not be able to miss it since it is so grand and pretty.
Highly recommend you book the tours given by the staff. They will give a history about the Baha’i religion, the beliefs of Baha’i, the structure of the gardens etc. The guide was really informative and engaging.
If you are lucky to be in Haifa at night, be sure to head to the German Colony to take night views of the gardens
Nahshon — Google review
The best thing to do in Haifa! The gardens are immaculate and run completely by volunteers. My husband and I went on a guided tour which was free. I definitely recommend going on the tour as this is the only way to view the upper terraces. An absolutely beautiful, peaceful place.
Denaes Adamson — Google review
The Gardens are beautiful. First the top level is free to all great views of the Haifa bay and the Baha’i gardens and shrine from the top. However if you really want to experience the gardens then get tickets in advance. If you are in Haifa it should be a must. The tour is about 60 minutes. It is 750 steps down. You will have a guided tour in English if you want and can stop at about 4 levels. You cannot walk back up the steps. You can take a bus 136 -7 stops (I think you need a Rav Kav. Like a metro card to board the bus) to return you back to the top, or walk through the German Colony Blvd and get a taxi. It a bit of a walk but there are cafes along the way back to the Carmel mountain
David E — Google review
If you have the chance to visit the beautiful city of Haifa, you don't want to miss this wonderful park! From the entrance at the top, you have wonderful view over the city and the Mediterranean Sea. We've been lucky enough to entrer the terrasses, though it seems like it's not always possible. Nonetheless, simply the views from up there are worth the visit.
The Louis Promenade is a well-known attraction in Haifa, featuring a pathway surrounded by trees that provides stunning views of the city and Haifa Bay. The promenade is particularly popular for evening strolls and admiring the sunset. It offers visitors a unique vantage point to take in the beauty of their surroundings while enjoying a peaceful walkway.

Museum of science dedicated to exploring the world of science and technology. The 400 exhibits cover a range of topics such as electricity, water, motors, sound and the human body. The building which houses the museum is from 1910 and was originally meant to be the Technion's first campus.
Amazing. We spent 6 hours with our kids, and felt like minutes. The kids were so inspired by each and every room in all 3 floors ! The exhibition outside was nice as well. Highly recommend. Will surely visit again soon

First of all Madatech is worth visiting if you have kids. There are many interesting exhibitions there, providing useful and interesting facts. Some of them involving participating as in a game or exhibit. The museum is quite large, so arm yourself with patience.

Great place to enjoy with the kids for few hours, especially on hot or on rain days.
Each room designed on different subject, and invite you to play, touch and explore each one and one of the items.
The place recommended for kids over 3 years old, and it is fully accessable.
This days there is also a dinosaurs exhibition, which is very lovely and highly recommended.

Great hands-on experience for kids and super engaging. The bottom floor is suitable for toddlers, and the first floor is great for kids. The second floor is awesome for bigger kids/teenagers to learn. Kids from all ages can find something that interests them here. It’s a huge place. Three hours easily passed without notice.

Got discounted tickets, went with our 3-year-old. He absolutely loved it! He could've run around for hours! Both the outside part and the children's section were perfect for him.
It was great that at any point there were employees around to help! Even the bathroom cleaner was super sweet!
Only downside is the cafeteria- not much variety and quite pricey.

Ordered tickets in advance and then had to choose an entrance hour. This process is pretty cumbersome.
Came with the kids on a public holiday, it was busy but still felt like there was enough space for everybody.
We had loads of fun, the kids loved the interactive activities, the place is huge with many rooms in different themes.
I would totally recommend it, especially the magic room on the last floor.

Madatech has some interesting exhibitions on science, space, engineering, and health. It's geared towards kids and young teens, but adults might also find it interesting. The Fool Me exhibit is especially fun, where you learn how to do magic tricks and how science plays a part in magic shows. This isn't to be confused with the "Magic of Science" demonstration, which I suppose is for kids aged 4 to 15, where the scientist demonstrates what happens when various chemicals are combined. Madatech was a fun way to stay out of the heat, but it would have been more interesting if I was 10 years old. Pro tip: If you're going to Madatech in the summer with your kids, bring towels and swimming clothes. There's an outdoor water fountain for kids to play in, which looks like a fun way to cool off.
Yossi Karp — Google review
Madatech, the former site of the prestigious Technion, is a great family experience. The science museum has permanent exhibits accesible to a wide range of ages and audiences and maintains halls specifically for changing exhibits - on our most recent visit it was climate innovation and Klimt, but previously we enjoyed dinosaurs, virtual reality, and others.
The museum boasts a real fighter plane, thought-provoking physics experiments, interactive programming and a well-stocked, if expensive, gift shop.
My only critique is the museum coffee shop, which has museum-level prices but far from museum-quality coffee.
Yoni Geller — Google review
We actually came for Gustav's Klimt exhibition (that was absolutely stunning btw) and after we continued for the rest of Madatech's exhibitions and it was amazing! Very interesting, including another of explanations, possibility to touch and feel the most of a showpieces. The place is suitable for any age, highly recommended!

We had to the pleasure to visit at the museum, this is full day family experience, a lot of information, great opportunity to learn, for the kids and the adults, over all, in, for Israelis the place clean and organize. Got packed after 4 pm, when the place became open for free.
Aviv Vered — Google review
So the store at the "Fool Me" exhibition sure "fooled" me. This lego "set" (if we can call it that) cost 140 NIS. The store assistant and I were both convinced there would be more Lego parts than was displayed in the tiny plastic display box (considering the price). Imagine my child's frustration - and mine - when we pulled out a pile of cardboard instead of the more parts we expected. Now we are the proud owners of "over 100 quick builds, activities and challenges" booklet without the parts to actually build them...
Otherwise, the visit to the museum was actually pretty great.
It's almost certain that Jesus taught in the 1st century synagogue that's been excavated here. The new chapel on site is wonderful, with an atrium dedicated to women, beautiful mosaics, and a great painting in the lower room of the woman receiving healing by touching Jesus' cloak.

Very interesting to learn how they discovered these ruins. The entrance fee is very cheap and they assign you a volunteer that gives you a tour either long or short depending on your time and it’s included with the entrance fee. I’m really happy to have insisted to come here.

My wife and I really enjoyed learning even more about the interesting history of Magdala and seeing the ongoing preservation efforts of Mary Magdalene's home village. Like all of the significant holy places on our journey through the holy Galilean area, this place has a story to share!
William Anderson — Google review
It’s always a grace to come to these places and this one is especially precious as there has been so much invested into the archeological sight as well as into the new buildings. The church is especially stunning and build and created in stunning art and excellence. It is absolutely worth it going there and seeing and experiencing it first hand!

The # 1 most inspiring place in the Holy Land to me. This is the synagogue that Mary Magdalene met Jesus of Nazareth (most likely, almost for certain). It was covered with mud from about 100 A.D. to 2009 A.D. Jesus taught here. Jesus walked on these tiles. If you search for “magdalen synagogue discovered” you can read all about it.

Awesome place to stay at. The rooms are spacious with excellent bathrooms. View sight on premises are so nice. Very relaxing quiet place. Peaceful. Buffet is always fresh. Has its own archeological site. Very chill cool spot. It’s a pilgrimage housing but they are very respectful and will not infringe on anyone’s beliefs or practices. Highly recommend it.

Such a special place. There is a lot to see here. I love the beautiful chapel that has a direct view of the Sea of Galilee. The ruins are stunning, and the views of the sea are so beautiful! We would spend lots of time dipping our feet in the water and taking in the beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

Second time I visited! This time, the mosaics, the painting of the woman touching the fringe of Jesus’ garment, the sculptures and the view from the chapel over the Sea of Galilee really hit home! I will be back for sure!

Suck an amazing and breathtaking location, the history and scenery and not to mention architectural marvel that are the caves are a sight to behold.
The trail itself is quite easy and suitable for families of all ages, with options ranging from easy to hard.
Very well preserved also woth a resting area complete with a mini shop, facilities, large parking spot and free drinking water.
All in all an amazing place definitely worth a visit.

This is fantastic little hike. The circular route takes about 2h. Be aware that the begining and end of the hike uses handgrips, as it's very steep. So while it's not a very long hike, it can be challenging. Hiking boots recommended.
In the middle there is a detour up steep steps to visit an old fortress, for those interested in an even harder challenge. There is very little shade, so come early during the summer.
The view is breathtaking and makes this one of the most amazing hikes in Israel.
For groups with a bus, you can choose, instead of the circular route, to head down the mountain in the middle, thus not having to climb back up with the grips.
There is also a shorter hike/walk option that takes you up to the edge of the cliff to see the view.
Avi Jacob — Google review
Had a great time with the view at the top, and then hiked down the west side. Anticipate an extra 45 minute or more if you do that instead of going directly back to the bus

Wow! I was here in 1986 - /87 and how it has changed. The history that has been revealed through the work of the archeological team and the volunteers is breathtaking! You must visit this place if you're in the region!
This site is definitely worth your time if you're in the region.
If you like history and archeology then, there's no question and you should make time for it.
It shows some of the most beautiful mosaics in Israel.
I have attached several pictures, hoping to convince you to visit this site.
One last recommendation, try avoiding visiting it during the vacation and Hagim (Israeli religious feasts) as the site might be quite crowded.

Make sure you get to this place before you leave Israel, and if you live here, keep going back. Tzipori is one of the most interesting and important archaeological sites in Israel, providing deep insights into Jewish culture and history, and also offering astonishing mosaics from the first centuries of the Common Era. It's a large, rich site. Make sure you give yourself enough time to take it in.

Tzipori, also known as Sepphoris, is a first century Roman city just a few miles from Nazareth. You walk on a Roman built road with deep wheel ruts, see floor mosaic's and discover bits of 2000 year old pottery. An amazing Roman/Byzantine city!!!

Before I start, one recommendation:
Keep going to historical site but do your self a favor, learn about them before you go there, it will make your experience SO much better.
An amazing gate to the past, allows you to visualize life here from 2000 years ago, let’s you understand how history folded, how people lived and enjoyed life, what they believed in, what they ate, what view they woke up in the morning to, what kind of weather they experienced. Tzipori is a well preserved site showing a mixed city from the Hellenistic period where Jews and Roman’s lived together. Dig deeper into history, learn how this place affected Jesus (not in a religious way), it really opens your eyes and gives you better understanding on the old world.

Incredible site to walk about! Very well maintained national park. This should be on a tourist list to see! Beautiful Roman period mosaic floors excavated, layouts of the original city site with ancient roadways, a later dated crusader fortress still intact to explorer, outdoor amphitheater intact even used for modern day concerts and an ancient synagogue restored to view. A great find for anyone interested in the lands history

There is a old building that was sadly shut but next to it there are more ruins which have lots of stories told through stone mosaic paintings. The place is still being searched for more historical things. If not much then just visit it for the views. Locals come with families and friends for afternoon picnic or meals.

An important historical and archeological place for as well Jews (from time of Talmud and Mishna - center for Sanhedrin, Yehuda haNassi compiled the Talmud) - don't miss the beautiful synagogue, as for Christians to visit (home of Joachim and Anna, parents of Mary according to Christian beliefs). Don't miss the water system at the entrance of the park on the left side (park and walk over), from the Roman times.
Tiberias is a city situated on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee in Israel. The Old City contains significant Jewish and Christian pilgrimage sites, such as Abulafia Synagogue and Tomb of Maimonides. Along the waterfront, visitors can find a marina, fish market, and Yigal Allon Promenade lined with restaurants. Hamat Tiberias National Park is located south of the city and boasts mineral hot springs dating back to ancient times.
The Centre International Marie de Nazareth is a diverse cultural complex located near the Basilica of the Annunciation that focuses on fostering relationships and dialogue among Christians and other religions. This Roman Catholic-run venue offers an archaeological site, gardens with Biblical flora, and a cafe with stunning 360-degree views of Nazareth. Visitors can explore in situ ruins dating back to the First Temple period in the basement while enjoying panoramic vistas from the rooftop garden.
Go here! Visiting the center will add to your experience of Nazareth. The best part: the very friendly and smart receptionist guy who will tell you about the ruins and architecture of ancient Nazareth. The 4 videos about the story of Mary and Jesus are interesting if you don't yet know the story. Otherwise you will not learn anything new. The view from the roof terrace is very nice. A good quiet spot to enjoy the sun for a few moments. Entrance fee is donation based.

The rooftop provides a good view to Nazareth. Worth the visit to get some valuable historical insights on Nazareth as well.

This is a wonderful, wonderful place to visit in Nazareth. A short walk from the Roman Catholic basilica of the Annuciation of Mary it has wonderful people and a beautiful movie experience that takes you through the life of Jesus and Mary in Nazareth. This center also sits on top of ruins of what a typical house may have looked like back in Jesus' day. You will not regret stopping in to say hi and learning even more about Jesus and Mary.

I visited the center awhile back and wanted to write a review to encourage others to visit. An excellent multimedia biblical movie, a stunning presentation. Visiting the center was absolutely worthwhile (which is opposite the Basilica of the Annunciation of Mary). A very informative and beautiful experience. A must see!

A must visit place for tourists here in Nazareth. It's just right across the street to the Church Of The Annunciation. I'd recommend everyone to watch all 04 (15 minutes each) video clips in 04 different theaters before walking all the way up to the top level where you'll have a wonderful view of Nazareth from the above.

The chapel is beautiful, and the people are too. Come for a coffee, quiet prayer, or an informative tour/multimedia show about the life of Mary of Nazareth. One of my favorite places in all of Nazareth.

I'll never travel to Jerusalem without this trip planner again
The Church of Annunciation is a modernist, Franciscan-run Roman Catholic basilica built in 1969 on the site where many believe the Annunciation took place. It dominates the Old City skyline with its lantern-topped cupola and stands on what many Christians believe to be Mary's home. Visitors can walk inside for free and attend mass by checking schedules within the facilities, making it an ideal destination for those interested in Jesus, Mary, and Joseph history.
Beautiful, amazing, spiritual and peaceful place! As a Catholic being able to visit the place where The annunciation happened to the Virgin Mary was a simply wonderful and religious experience. The church is beautiful, on the exterior you can see images of the Virgin Mary for all different countries, worth to enjoy each one of them.
Miguel Opacic — Google review
One of the most famous and touristic place in Nazareth.
An entrance is free but be careful and wear clothes that cover your shoulders and knees at least.
You can find a gallery with frescoes from different countries. Also basilica is open for visiting.
Unfortunately the Museum on the territory was closed.
Good for visit.

In my opinion, one of the most impressive and amazing churches in the world. The visit to the Church of the Annunciation is powerful and interesting, the structure is amazing. The church was established at the site where, according to one tradition, the Annunciation took place. The church has a variety of works of art in different styles from all over the world.

One can light up an electric candle 🕯in this church - I really liked this idea as I believe that it is more friendly to the environment.
Another thing that I liked is an alley with the paintings and mosaics to the church from all over the world 🌎 One can find donations from the South America, India, and my homeland Ukraine 🇺🇦 It feels really good to find things related to your country when you are that far from it, especially when your country is under attack from the terrorist russian state.
If you plan your visit in advance, I also recommend to bring coins and cash for the donations to support the church.

Beautiful place in the center of Nazareth, open untill 5pm and free to visit. Inside you can see very colorful windows and many latin inscriptions. The thing i liked more was the collection of Maria portrait from all over the world. I strongly recommend to visit it and maybe take some pictures at night, because with all the lights on it's amazing.

Basilica of the Annunciation Nazareth, also known as The Catholic Church of the Annunciation, is the most impressive and spectacular site in the city and is considered to be one of the most holy churches for Christianity.
Basilica of the Annunciation an outstanding building in the center of town, is built where it’s believed the house the Virgin Mary was.
On the lower level is the most holy place – Mary’s cave, the cave in which, according to the Catholic-Christian tradition, Mary was visited by Archangel Gabriel and told her she is destined to carry Jesus in her womb.

What a beautiful place to get connected with some of the Jesus, Mary, and Joseph history. This place is a must for every person reaching for a great historical destination in Nazaret. The entrance is free and you can walk inside the churches, you can even attend to mass, just look for schedules inside facilities

What an adoring site. To have that preserve reminds us how grateful we should be to see history which changed the of Billions. Love the mosaic from different parts of the world.
Robert Sedillo — Google review
The city around it seems a bit chaotic and dirty, but don't let that discourage you from visiting the basilica itself.
The basilica is rather modern, built in the 60s, with beautiful mosaics and paintings of the Virgin Mary decorating the church's walls. It's a stunning sight to behold, and I was impressed by the attention to detail in the artwork.
But the most interesting thing about the basilica is on the lower floor. Here, there is a preserved cave where Angel Gabriel supposedly told Mary she was going to be pregnant with Jesus. It's one of the few places that keeps the original ruins of the first century, and that's well worth a visit.

There was a mix from different Cristian churches, orthodox, catholic etc and some of them was really strange. The way it was built is also strange. Although the building from outside is not ugly. I hope this is not the best church in Nazareth but our guide show to us only this.
Nikolai Nikolov — Google review
The church was built at where angel Gabriel announced to Virgin Mary that she would be pregnant and give birth to baby Jesus. And the town of Nazareth is where Jesus grew up. Beautiful church. 30% of Nazareth population is Christian.
Megiddo National Park, also known as Armageddon Location, features ruins of walls, gates, tombs and temples from Canaanite and Israelite settlements that date back to 4000 BC to 400 BC. This sun-scorched hill was predicted by St John as the site for the last great battle on earth (Revelation 16:16). Walking trails connect remnants from over 25 distinct historical periods.
A must see if you are travelling up north in Israel. Megiddo was one of the most important cities, during Biblical times, situated at the cross roads between Egypt and former Mesopotamia along the sea route "via de maris"

Fascinating and well kept archaeological site. It was bigger than I expected and plenty of signs explaining the various sections, levels and buildings. Also auditory explanations available if you have ear buds (if not, you can buy them at the shop). Great views of the surrounding area from the look out points. The last section is the tunnel down to the spring which supplied water to the inhabitants. Around 100 stairs down and 70 up, worth the effort if you can but can be skipped. The shop is one of the best stocked I've seen at such sites and the small museum next to it is an absolute must.

Tel Megiddo is a great place. If you struggle with mobility. It’s probably too strenuous especially if you do the hike down into the cistern. It is an impressive archeological ruin and really well preserved. The video they show at the visitor center is well done and engaging. The cistern is a must see attraction if you can handle over 150 stairs down and up.

Megiddo was one of the strongest and most important cities of Canaan. The remains of the palaces, temples, gates, and the sophisticated water system of the city are evidence of its great power.

Absolutely beautiful scenery and lots of information to take in, would also recommend walking down the steps to the water system (worth the walk). Also really good food at the in-house restaurant, would recommend the falafel!
Wonderful place for kids. Kangaroos and many other animals that you can see up close and even pet some of them.

We visited the park this Pesah. Was not very full. Lovely place. We enjoyed very much from kangorus. There was also a tuki place where you can feed and put birds on your back! My girls liked it! Also there was a fun water shower corner for kids which is big fun after a walk in the hit.
There is icecream & water shop at the picnic area.
I also like that the staff was friendly, patient and told us interesting facts about some animals!
The only sad thing was that my new dress and ny husbands pant got ruined from color on the bench, it was unprofessional to use such color that melts in the sun. But we were very pleased when the administration called us and were sorry. They offered us a refund. I found it very nice that they took care.
Recommend this park to have nice fun with kids!

A lovely Australian zoo with kangaroos, wallabies, parrots, fox bats and other animals from Australia.
There's also a bush maze with mechatronic dinosaurs.
The kangaroos are very friendly, can be fed and petted and are nice with kids. Special food for the kangaroos can be purchased on the spot from vending machines for one shekel. In the bird house, friendly parrots fly around, land on the visitors and can also be fed with fruits handed out by the staff.
Overall a very fun experience both for the kids and for us. We highly recommend going in the morning hours before it gets hot outside.
We had a lot of fun and would definitely return.

Great place to visit with family.
It is a great place since there are many interactions with the animals, children will enjoy it a lot.
Moreover, and most importantly, that the animals are taken care of and look happy, compared to other zoos.

Who knew you could find a slice of Australia in Israel (outside of an embassy). Great for families and animal lovers alike. You get the chance to get up close with a variety of animals (parrots, kangaroos, goats, the occasional wandering peacock) and the chance to feed them. Kangaroos can be fed anytime by paying a Shekel in a food dispenser while the bird feeding areas occur only at specific times. The staff here are extremely knowledgeable with the animals and clearly care for them deeply.

I really couldn’t have loved this more! Oh yeah the kids too! :) Beautiful park with several animals but the ticket was worth the kangaroo petting zoo alone. You get to sit and pet and feed and play with several kangaroos of different types. They were friendly and the staff were helpful and provided lots of educational facts to our group. We will be going again whenever we are up north!

Park with warm spring water pools for swimming, a waterfall, picnic area & an archaeological museum.
Great place for swimming. Lots of fun to be had here as the water is comfortable year round. The day was comfortable warm and the water had the right temperature. And the colour of the water I found spectacular. Fantastic mountain retreat with crystal clear freshwater and an amazing back massaging waterfall. The place has a large pool suitable for swimming. It has numerous colored fishes. The open space is of grassland and a suitable place to spend time. The reflection of trees in the water is breathtaking. They have facilities like water supply, place to make BBQ, sitting benches, parking and washroom with dress changing space. Wow huge place lots of parking and space. The water is amazing. This is a must to go place in Israel🥰🥰🥰🇮🇱

A beautiful park. A sweet place to swim and do a picnic. All natural pools make you feel like your in ancient times. The upper pool is crystal clear, and quite deep. They have shallow portions, and a smaller shallow area for small children. Water temperature is very pleasant, not cold. There are restrooms, with showers and changing areas. A few kiosks selling basic things. Picnic tables all over the park. Lifeguards on duty and security personnel. The entry fee is worth it for the amenities, and because they keep it clean. I'll be coming back.

The day was comfortable warm and the water had the right temperature. And the colour of the water I found spectacular.
The park has several natural waters, we stayed in the first area, like most people did. But it's way bigger then it looks like.
Two small water falls with small fishes nibbling at your feet (not appreciated by my kids).
It was a great afternoon for 150 shekels for 5 people.

It is a large place for picnics, taking your children, I guess swimming as well. I was there end of September and water was not really clean, neither the facilities. There are only 3 showers so you have to wait in line for them, bathrooms were very dirty so I guess many people prefer the water….if you bring bbq and lots of food you can enjoy but not really for quiet environmental relaxation.

We went midweek in May and again early June. Not crowded, the water is comfortably warm, crystal clear, an amazing shade of blue. The grounds are well kept, plenty of shade available. There's even a section where no bbq's are allowed, which is quite refreshing. Just about as close to paradise as you can get. Take plenty of water, swimming gear and sandwiches or buy at the shop.

National park encompassing the substantial & well-preserved ruins of an ancient Roman city.
Spectacular place to visit. Spent a good afternoon exploring in the heat and the shade. It was exciting to see the excavation. I visited the bathhouse and public latrines area. The main street was exciting as well. I didn't climb the hill and focused my time in the town.

We visited two weeks ago. We had national park pass, so it was free. Mostly the place includes remains of the ancient ruins. Amazing architecture. Wondered how they designed the bathroom with hot steam underneath the floor. The structures were similar to caesarea national park. Don't miss the entire view from hill top. Amazing and beautiful during sunset. Need atleast two hours to cover the entire area (on foot). Closing time is 4.30 pm. It has a souvenir shop.

Nice spot to see some ancient history! It was great to be able to see what a city would have looked like. If you do stop in be sure to check out the Egyptian ruins at the top of the hill overlooking the entire city. Lots of remains of ancient ruins like the colosseum, public sanitary, the theater, the city etc, etc. The architecture is amazing and what’s left of the buildings tell an amazing story about its greatness. Extremely good Roman archeological site….for its shape and all well preserved ruins (many mosaics, good theater,….) it is absolutely at the level of Rome forums

Stunning remains of over 20 layers of civilization. Most notable are the recent Roman ruins. One can picture chariots heading up and down the main street.
The 7000 seat theater is mostly standing and the original public bathrooms are nearby, what a gas!
There is an entrance plaza, a large bathhouse, streets, shops, a bridge, a ritual compound and more.
An earthquake in 749 shook the Roman temple and the huge columns fell. They still lay there and it's hard to imagine that this is all real and not replicas.
Amazing experience.

We attended the evening sound and light tour which includes a ten minute sound and light and an hour guide led tour of many of the sites. The park is well lit in most parts.
The sound and light was ok, projected onto the walls of the theatre sometimes the graphics were not the most clear.
The tour is a bit intensive and at some point we left to just enjoy the spectacle without the guide.
There were many children in attendance but I think their attention wanted as the tour progressed
Small children might be frightened by loud music and sounds during the light show.

Nice park. Best part was the parrots section which might sit on your sholder or head, which is very fun for kids and adults alike. There are a few picnic tables and a coffee shop inside. There aren't any drinking points which I expect to have especially during hot summer days. The place feel like it could use a good round of maintenance and definitely reprice the entry fee which is very high without using different discounts.

The place is beautiful, as well as the flowers, great for nature loving people , and for whoever wants a short 2 -3 hours tour. The park has Lots of spots to sit around and have lunch. However I wish there was a bit more animals, and I wish they would put them together in bigger cages , instead of small & lonely cages.
Guided exhibits & activities provide educational & social opportunities at this children's museum.
Great dialogue of dark experience.
Allow PLENTY of time for traffic. It took us double time to get there. If you’re late you’ll miss tour.
Also not well signposted but it’s hidden away in Peres Park by the swimming pool in the corner.

beautifully designed large shopping center, with ponds in which live Koi carps and water flowers, and what wonderful fountains in which young children happily bathe. Very large free underground parking, always very clean.

Opens on Shabbat! Great help when I need to take kids to buy shoes for them. There is a small water play area with fountains but without a shade. Parking is under the mall so it's shady and also hightech to know where they have open slots. Not all the shops are open on Shabbat but quite a lot to see.

this whole building does not have a pedestrian entrance - you can get there only from the underground parking or via staff entrances...
but the movie theater is awesome: has all those movie heroes' statues
and the Babylon game zone is also great mainly because of its staff

Such a nice place to stroll, have coffee, something to eat, shop; it has a very special family environment. What I like the most, is the fact that it is outdoors and next to the train station in Ashdod.

A "one of a kind" open pedestrian shopping mall in Israel. Original, pleasant and effective design,. Beautifully designed shops, lots of conveniently located elevators and plenty of parking. Recommended!
Rugged mount within the Judean Desert known for its Dead Sea views & cliffside monastery.
We took a cable car from ground level to reach the top, and then climbed up the steep ascent to reach the Mount Temptation Greek Monastery. The weather on the day we visited was crazy 40C and I couldn't take a nice photo of the monastery from the cable car. It was worth the visit. Women are allowed in the Monastery and it was built inside a cave, and the ambiance was really amazing. I included some photos to show its interior here.
? ?Hannisze — Google review
First of all, based on its name, it's not exactly what you might first think. The Mount of Temptation is regarded as the mountain on which Christ was tempted by the devil during his 40-day fast. A Greek monastery built on the top looks like a huge floating structure from a distance.
If you have a car you'd drive real close but still the last 5-600 feet will be more than strenuous (and the drive itself is, say, interesting).
Your best bet is to take the cable car. The view is fantastic and once you get out a pleasant walk takes you to the Monastery. Once in a lifetime experience.

Such an interesting and inspiring place! Take the cable car up or even better... walk and talk in the desert atmosphere. There's a cafe and restaurant at the top for refreshments and to take a break.
Unfortunately the place is full of tour groups - mostly Russians - who push in and act like the place is theirs and no one else need enjoy themselves.

Just perfect! Great vibes, nice view. You can get there with the cable car. It is the best option. With the personal drivers it is so expensive. The cable car is a very nice experience, you have good views on the way, it does not take long time and it was not expensive.

A mountain over the city of Jericho in the West Bank, in the State of Palestine. According to Christian tradition, this is the location where Jesus was subject to the temptation of the devil

Temptation mountain or deir Quruntal
Quruntal in Latin means 40, refers to number of days that Jesus fasted and then Satan tested him. A monastery was founded in the 6th century. From there, very amazing view for the whole Jericho and Jordan. If you want to visit, contact Palestine tours on facebk

Worth the trek up the hill and steps to fully appreciate the magnificence of this monastery built into the cliff face.

This is the place where Jesus was tempted by the devil over 40 nights. It has a church, the cave where Jesus stayed and a stone seat where he allegedly sat. Great views from the top. Lots of steep steps at the top. Ride the cable car up and walk till you drop. Have a pomegranate juice drink before you go back down.
The Tel Jericho archaeological site is a well-excavated mound with ruins and structures of the oldest city in the area. It offers scenic views and showcases ancient rocks alongside newer stone. However, the site may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Nearby, there is a shaded fountain and even camel rides available. As tourism begins to return, visitors can enjoy empty beaches and clean shops in this safe location. The historical significance of this magical place spans over 10,000 years of history.
Magical place for 10000 years of history.

Overall not very impressed, even if the site is being restored quite nicely there's not much to see.
Entrance fee is very cheap 10ILS.
Be sure to check the adjacent spring fountain and avoid the souvenir shop.

Oldest city in the world! The archaeological digs are impressive, especially the trenches. You can view Temptation Mountain from here and you can also see Jordan! Elijah’s Spring is beautiful and refreshing as well.

Well excavated site from VERY long ago. Oldest city around. You can see the most ancient rocks and then newer stone. Not wheelchair friendly and if you use a cane it could be hard. Nice fountain on the street below in the shade to wait. On our day there was a man there for camel rides!

A very interesting place that you should visit if you are at Jericho. Don't expect impressive buildings like ancient greek or Roman period, but you will see the phases of a place with 10000 years history and some ruins of the oldest city at 8000 bc. The ticket is cheap only 10 shekels. The entrance is opposite the cable car that goes to monastery krntl or monastery of temptation.

Truly remarkable that the ancient walls are still somewhat intact; although they had to be unearthed. It is very hot in the summer so bring plenty of cold water as the temperature can get up to 120 F. Very well preseved and worth traveling to see.

As an international marina is it well managed, good services and relatively well guarded.
You can check into Israel through passport control at the marina, it needs to be coordinated in advance.
There is a shipyard with a large boat lift. Services are very professional but do not come cheap.
There is no chandlery, but parts can be easily and quickly shipped from chandleries in Ashdod, Tel Aviv, Herzliya and Haifa with same day delivery for most.
The bathrooms always have hot showers and are cleaned every morning. The men's side is not very clean by the afternoon hours. The women's side is usually much better.
24/7 groceries very close by, not very cheap, but they sell all essentials at all hours.
A bus ride takes you to several cheaper supermarkets and shopping centers.
The only serious problem is the very very loud music coming from different establishments during the weekend until 3 o'clock in the morning. It is often absolutely unbearable, so do not visit during the weekend.
Nearby are gorgeous swimming beaches and a beautiful national park, all at walking distance.
Mind you, the weekend is from Thursday evening till Saturday evening. Sundays wednesdays it is usually quiet.
Most restaurants in the "marina mall" are ridiculously expensive and not very good. Landwer Cafe has a few good vegan options as well as salads, but everything is somewhat expensive. Beerpoint has a large selection of beers on tap, chasers and very basic food and is not expensive. It is open most hours of the day and night.
Up the stairs of the top part of the marina mall you will find Oren Meshi bakery, with good pastries and cakes, of high quality.

Really excellent camp site and national park with plenty of room to pitch a tent or have a picnic. We found a spot overlooking the sea which was spectacular (see picture). There are plenty of other things to see around the site. We'll certainly be returning.
Toilets were clean at all hours of the day. Showers were fine. There are fridges and phone charging facilities available. Mattresses can be rented.
The site is clean and rules are followed so that there are no morons blasting music and it is quiet at night.
Parking is fine and we were able to enter fairly quickly. There are trolleys to ferry stuff around but not many and you have to hunt them down.

Museum in Jerusalem that tells the story of the 6,000,000 Jews who were killed by the Nazis during WWII. The exhibits are extensive and cover everything from concentration camps to methods of murder and torture. It is an emotionally difficult but important tour.
Absolutely fascinating place. You'll need a booking reservation. This can be completed on arrival, but entry could be delayed. Bags aren't permitted. Free lockers are available downstairs. There is more to the place than you may think. Be sure you have plenty of time. It's definitely worth the time.

It will never be possible to understand how such evil existed. This place takes you on a journey through time and year after year reveals the events that led to it. This is a rare and humane record of the atrocities that took place, and of the starvation that took place. This is a visit you should not miss. It will definitely make you think about human nature and the things it is capable of doing to other human beings.

Nobody can miss it! There are a lot of real videos, pictures, belongings and statements by survivors. Spare 3 to 4 hours to spend there. The whole experience is just amazing and very touchy. I suggest you leave the children's memorial to the end. I got there by tram + short walk. Quick, easy and cheap. Entrance to the museum is free but you need to book in advance. A must visit museum for every person on the planet. The horrible history our not that distant ancestors experienced must not be forgotten and learned in the near and distant future. One of the most incredible museums about the holocaust I've ever been to. So many objects, statements, information, etc. You need to book your visit in advance, due to this museum is sooooo busy, you not going to be able to get access without a previous booking. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, commonly known as Golgotha or simply the Sepulchre, is a Christian holy site in Jerusalem that preserves the remains of Jesus Christ. It is also claimed by some Christians to be the place of his crucifixion and burial. The present building was constructed mostly during the Crusader era after a previous basilica was destroyed by Persians.
Although crowded with numerous tour groups, nothing can detract from the holiness that fills this massive church. If you close your eyes as you kneel at the place of Jesus' crucifixion or where his body was laid to rest, you can feel His presence in your heart and soul. An incredible experience.

Old Jerusalem is a fascinating location that had historical relations with many of the world's religions. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is one of those locations within the walls, and was very interesting. A place filled with history, and for some, with spirituality and pure emotions. Unfortunately, let down by the byzantinoid behaviors of the people looking after it, and of many of the people visiting it. Quite filthy, literally. Good to see it once in a life time, but not the place to quietly meditate and pray time and time again. A shame, because it could be much better.

I’m a Christian and a priest-in-training, and this just wasn’t for me in terms of finding a connection with Jesus or feeling close to God.
I can appreciate the craftsmanship of the building, and the significance of the site, but for so many reasons I felt sad and anguished in this place.
Worth a visit, but leaves you with much to reflect on. There were many other places on pilgrimage that left me breathless. The Holy Sepulchre was unfortunately not one of them.

See where Christ walked along the Roman stones, see the place where Abraham was to sacrifice his son and the place where Christ died, his prison, where is He isn aid to rest.

Really mixed feelings about this place. You really need a guide to understand this place. We had one which made it tolerable. Otherwise we would not have understood what we were looking at. The hole where the crucifix was placed into the rock... It's under a table. We crawled under and saw and felt the hole, all thanks to our guide. Otherwise we would have totally missed this. The church is full of niches, parts, i don't know what you call them. It's sort of a mess. Have a guide to explain. We're glad we visited. We don't plan on returning.

This was the most impressive museum we have ever been to! We enjoyed it so much we went twice during our time in Jerusalem!
Thinking we were just going to see important Israeli artifacts, we were extremely surprised to see archaeological remains from around the world, painting a picture of the evolution of civilization. There were also Jewish displays of life and art, modern and contemporary art from around the world, and the most amazing outdoor display of a replica of Jerusalem’s Old City during the time of The Second Temple. The biggest treat were The Dead Sea Scrolls, which I did not know much about until seeing this exhibit. Excellent collection!

The Israel Museum in Jerusalem is a great experience to visit. Huge place with a lot of exhibitions. I highly recommend to visit the Shrine of the book where you can find a significant exhibition of The Dead Sea Scrolls and Qumram.

This was a highlight of our trip. It's a huge museum with lots of various exhibits with various themes and overall, it's very well done. It is very big though, and directions to certain exhibits weren't as clear as we'd hope so we did waste some time looking around for things as it's not labeled well.
With that said, there's a lot to see and learn about. The must see is the Shrine of the Book where you can see the Dead Sea Scrolls and Qumran. There are a lot of archaeological artifacts all throughout this massive place and so getting here early in the day is advised so you can see as much as you want without having to rush. When we were there, they had replicas of various old synagogues from different corners of the world and it was very interesting. I could ramble on and on about everything there is to do there, but it's forever changing, so when you know you're going to the area, look up what they have showing and head to those exhibits first.
Based on the fact that there's so much to take in and exhibits that change often, this is definitely a place you can come to several times. There's a beautiful gift shop at the exit (of course) and I can't really speak to parking much as we took a taxi there and back, but definitely be sure not to miss out on a visit here when you're in Jerusalem.

A must go for all visiting Jerusalem. The synagogues from around the world are incredible, the shrine of the book is unique, and the different temporary exhibits are great. This is also a kid friendly museum. It's open on shabbat which is the best, and the cafe with excellent coffee is also open on shabbat, one of the few in Jerusalem. It's not a quick walk there without Public transit, but it is worth it.

Disappointed with the amount of fake mosaics and other things in the museum. While the model of the second temple is interesting, it reminds me of the miniatures in Lego Land. But biggest disappointment was with the Dead Sea Scrolls. You can’t take a picture in there despite the fact that what’s there is also a fake (which is politely termed a facsimile). Overall, the amount of fake items completely detracts from the visit.

My visit to the Israel Museum was a remarkable journey through history, culture, and art. The museum's expansive collection impressed me with its range, covering everything from ancient archaeological finds to modern artworks. The Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls, was an absolute highlight, offering a profound glimpse into the past.
What stood out to me was the thoughtfully curated layout of the museum. The thematic arrangement of exhibits made it easy to explore different aspects of Israeli heritage and global artistic achievements. The attention to detail in each display was evident, allowing me to learn and appreciate the significance of each artifact.
The outdoor Billy Rose Sculpture Garden was a serene retreat, offering a unique blend of nature and art. I found it to be a perfect place to reflect after my indoor explorations. Additionally, the museum's educational initiatives and engaging workshops showcase their commitment to fostering learning and creativity.
The staff's knowledge and passion were evident, as they readily shared insights and answered questions, enhancing my overall experience. The museum's location in Jerusalem, surrounded by the beautiful landscape, added to the charm.
Visiting the Israel Museum was not just a visit to a museum; it was an immersive dive into history, culture, and artistry. Whether you're a history enthusiast, an art lover, or simply curious about the world, this museum offers an exceptional and enlightening experience that should not be missed.

The scale model of first century Jerusalem is with the visit. It’s spectacular. Very disappointed in the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit; was hoping to see an actual scroll, not just a facsimile. Perhaps because we went on the Sabbath (Saturday), there were many families with strollers and young children. As you would expect from a country with a birth rate of over 3, I felt the national character was tolerant towards children. Some people bring their dogs with them, so we let them in with them.
The exhibits have the feel of a national museum, and the exhibits related to Judaism are overwhelming.
Biblical manuscripts, cultures from various parts of the diaspora, and the Torah are of particular interest.
The exhibits on Islam and Greece are also more extensive than I expected.
I was amazed by the glass technology of ancient Mesopotamia.
The contemporary art museum also has many exhibits, and the Dead Sea salt art is particularly interesting.
The adjacent shops are also recommended.

This is an absolute must see venue. The expansive, well documented display cases with adequate room to comfortably view and study. This place multistory so plan on several hours of enjoyment and learning. We need to go back a second time! The mosaics are beautiful.
The Old City of Jerusalem is a historic area surrounded by ancient walls, home to several sacred sites such as the Western Wall, Dome of the Rock Islamic shrine, and Church of the Holy Sepulchre. It is divided into four parts: Jewish, Muslim, Armenian and Christian Quarter. The city features markets selling religious items like prayer shawls and rosaries alongside food stalls serving falafel and fresh-squeezed juice.
The Western Wall is a wall that was built in the 2nd century BCE as part of the Jewish Temple. It is a site for prayer for Jews from all over the world, and it supports the outer portion of Temple Mount, which is where the Second Temple once stood. The Wall is open to members of all faiths 365 days a year and modestly dressed visitors are welcome.
I'm not jewish, nor a religious person, so not so meaningful to me, but still interesting place to see in terms of culture and history.

Clean and serene an experience that will change your life. Experience one of the holiest site in Jewdaism.
If you have yet to see it come, dress responsible, and modest. They won't let you in if you're showing too much skin. Also you should act responsible 😉 this is in the end of the day a holy site.

This 2,000-year-old city wall is all the remains of the ancient temple built by Herod.
I saw the Wailing Wall, a world cultural heritage, and it was very special that the meaning behind the Jews was truly understood. I saw many Jews come to pray, and I became reverent in my heart when I stood in front of the Wailing Wall .

One the holiest places on Earth for Jews. Hard to describe the feeling, atmosphere, impressions that surrounds you while trying to go back thousand years in time. Usually crowded, quite frequently a bit overcrowded because of tourists, yet magical, mysterious place. Must see to believe. (PS: it'd deserve 10*).

Regardless of your religion or upbringing, this place is a sight to behold. You’ll briefly pass through security and enter into a small promenade. You’ll see the wall. Although I didn’t know this, its a custom to not turn your back on the wall. Try to follow it. Getting to walk up to the wall in a city which is arguably responsible for the start of time is a truly humbling experience. Any message that you write and place in the wall is supposed to be read by God himself.
If you are agonistic or atheist, you can appreciate the history and cultural significance of this wall. You will be humbled. If you are religious, you can appreciate the holy magnetism of this site. You will be humbled.
Try to make some time to go and visit this amazing site.

If you’re tourist: This is a top attraction for many tourist. It is located in the old city in the Jewish quarter. This place is considered the holiest site in Judaism. It is the remaining wall that was in the court yard which surrounded the second temple.
If you decide to go the wall and pray, men go on one side and the woman go on the other.
All men are required to wear a kippah or a head covering like a hat. There is a information booth before you get to the wall.

Beautiful place of worship that no one should miss. After passing the security check point, you will get to the main plaza and from there you can observe the remaining part of the ancient retaining western wall of the old Jewish temple that is used now for reading of scripture, meditation and prayer. There is a different section for man and woman. For man, anyone can visit it without charge. Washing your hands and wearing a kippa is recommended. Wonderful experience to see how other faiths worship and understand God. Highly recommend.

The Mount of Olives is a historical mountain that is mentioned in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Today, it serves as a cemetery and sacred spot for many people. It is one of the most important sites to visit in Jerusalem, along with the Old City. If the weather permits, tourists can explore these areas on foot. However, if it's too hot or cold outside, visitors can opt to visit museums or underground sights instead.
Definetly a gorgeous place to visit at least once in life.
Hearing the local stories and being part of the history is something awesome.
Will be glad to go back sooner.
You will visit places where Jesus actually were long time ago.

This is a really interesting place to visit. Having read a lot of the history about this place and seen both the films about Jesus, series Jesus of Nazareth and the 2017 series The Real Jesus of Nazareth, it was great to actually visit where Robert Powell went in the series for myself. It’s a unique experience even if you are not that religious. There is a lot of history in this area. It’s a bit of a walk from the city, especially walking up from Gethsemane to the top.
The views are fantastic, you can see right over the city and clearly see how the old city used to look. If you go to Jerusalem, walking up to Seven Arches ( the actual location of the top ) is a must.

This is where you get the iconic photo of old city Jerusalem. It is in walking distance from old city, just exit from lion gate and walk up the hill. Taxi will cost you about 10 usd but since it is about a half an hour walk I recommend walking. There is also a viewing area specifically for taking the photos

The Mount of Olives provides a panoramic view of Jerusalem at the base of the groves of olive trees.
The Mount of Olives is named for the olive groves that once covered its slopes. The southern part of the mount was the Silwan necropolis, attributed to the elite of the ancient Kingdom of Judah. The mount has been used as a Jewish cemetery for over 3,000 years and holds approximately 150,000 graves, making it central in the tradition of Jewish cemeteries.
There are several key events in the life of Jesus, as related in the Gospels, that took place on the Mount of Olives, and in the Acts of the Apostles it is described as the place from which Jesus ascended to heaven. Very powerful site.

There’s no need to mention the million reasons for visiting Jerusalem. There is, however, good enough reason to mention this beautiful mountain ridge right outside the city. The Mount of Olives, so named for the olive groves that once dotted its slopes, is East Jerusalem’s most prominent point, towering over 800 meters above sea level. This holy site is associated with Islam, Judaism and Christianity, and has been used as a place of prayer and burial since the days of the First Temple. The mountain provides breathtaking views of Jerusalem and beyond – you can enjoy the panorama from the observation platform at the peak.
Go for the Sunset views!
Al Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron is an ancient holy site that houses the Tomb of the Patriarchs, where early biblical figures such as Abraham are believed to be entombed. The mosque holds great religious significance and attracts many visitors, including Israeli settlers who seek proximity to the revered site. To gain a better understanding of both sides of the conflict, it is important to speak with people from all perspectives.
Quite an experience both on spiritual and cultural level. Israeli police/army were very kind to me and helped me a lot in getting direction and feeling secure. As a Muslim I could not enter the tomb of Jacob though I hope one day we will achieve peace and be able to let the past go- and then I will visits Jacob’s tomb too.

The first man to ever live (not the first to die though) is buried here, aka Adam harishon and his wife chava (Eve) the first lady (no not Melania). Also buried here is Avraham Avinu who actually bought this cave from Efron in order to bury his wife Sarah (whom is still here). Yitzchok Avinu and his wife Rivkah is here as well however the section that has their tziyon (which doesn't mean they're buried there specifically) is used as a mosque and usually closed off (they open it a couple times a year). And of course Yakov/Yisroel Avinu and his wife Leah are here as well. Oh and don't forget about esavs (esau) head which wound up here as well (thanks to chushim Ben Dan). Not sure why there's no tziyon for Adam and Eve but they're still there don't worry.

This „HOLY“ place will give you chills all around! It’s a must see when in Israel. I visited both sides Jewish and Muslim and was amazed by all different angles of the graves of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs! So amazing! I can’t even explain how or why, but I was touched so deeply by the stories of this place and listened for hours to all the stories people told me. It’s so crazy and unbelievable what happened there and still is part of people’s daily life in this city of Hebron. Please go and see it yourself!

A tremendous cultural and religious experience. From my limited research there seems to be good evidence supporting the assertion that this site was constructed over the actual burial ground of Abraham and Sarah, the foreparents of Judaism and Islam. Symbolic mounds were constructed within this Herodian structure by Muslim followers who also hold the site sacred from a shared early lineage. If you're new to the area accompaniment by an experienced guide is recommended given the military checkpoints and tensions in the vicinity.
