It is a nice mall has good shops in it.
Not too many fast food restaurants to choose from but it is still good

To much construction 🏗️. Place is neat, but alot of walking for very limited stores. Carrefour seemed bit confusing as they trying to renovate during this time. Tim Hortons outside was nice to see and the WiFi was a nice addition to have.

Although there has been a recent mall redevelopment, still my go to mall as they have the biggest Carrefour, huge retail park at the back for more home decor needs, more bus routes, and a lot of good finds most especially in American Eagle. Excited for the upcoming Jimi Mall as soon as the renovation will be fully completed.

I was surprised how big this mall, almost all brands are available with multi choices, maybe the parking need a bit more space, currently there are expansion plan at the main entrance on progress.

The most beautiful mall in the UAE (in my opinion). I especially liked the exterior design of the mall. It was so beautiful.

I have seen many beautiful malls here in Al Ain and this is one of them. Its structure is unique and occupies a very large area of land. It has a wide parking area and well structured. I used bus 970 to get to this place and it was cool. Anyone who wishes to go there with bus will need to find out if the bus numbers going there have changed. I suggest the bus stop at the mall be built with seats so people could sit as they wait.

I recently visited Al Jimi Mall and I was quite impressed. The mall is large, clean and well-maintained. The mall has a good variety of shops and restaurants, which cater to a wide range of tastes and budgets.
One of the things I liked most about Al Jimi Mall is the variety of stores. Most of the brands here are international brands, like HM, Uniqol, Muji, Daiso, Footlocker, etc. As a young person, I prefer to buy clothing from this mall since it is quite modern. I also like traditional clothing brands but for daily looks I prefer casual clothes. And most of the brands here are affordable.
The mall also had a good entertainment options like a cinema which was great for families with children.
However, many of the stores are still awaiting for the brands. Hopefully it can be much busier in the future.

Jimi Mall is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for some great shopping and entertainment options. There are so many stores to choose from, and Vox Cinema is one of my favorites. It's a great place to catch a movie and spend time with friends. All in all, I'd highly recommend Jimi Mall to anyone looking for a fun day out.

Almost most of shops are closed, only one parking side is working, two entrances, very slow traffic and crowd, spending an hour just to park your car and get frustrated because of closed shops is a big tragedy.
So go to Al Bawadi or Al Ain mall.

Hili Fun City is a family-friendly amusement park with classic rides and shows. It's one of the best Al Ain tourist spots, and offers a lot of thrills for those who want to experience something new. There are also plenty of rides for those who enjoy spending time on their feet, as well as an ice rink and theatre.
It's a great place for families and children. Many many rides are here to enjoy their visit.
Hariprasad T — Google review
Liked it. Had fun. Though the tickets were expensive on public holidays ( aed 60 ), they are offering all games / rides for free. So, obviously you have to wait in long queues at each ride. Overall, it is fun , enjoyable.

This is not the same Fun city we saw many years back. Not colorful , Many games not working , Rollercoaster ride was fun. And the Paddle boat. 5D cinema is also very nice. But it still looks like a very old setup. Anyway the ticket was cheap. AED 30 for weekdays and 60 for weekend & holidays. For that price all the games are free. They should do some more attractive entertainment tricks. And my favorite ride Thunder Bolt was closed. It was a scary ride those days. If they renew those games in a more attractive way, more people will visit.

Things to note:
1. When I went to this park with my brother and cousins the local receptionist told us that we can't go in the park because we were not family according to municipality. Family days were separately marked on the board outside the park wall. After us other locals with no family (bachelors) got in through the gate without being questioned. Why this biasness?
2. We went to different receptionist and she asked nothing regarding being in a family and just said thay we had to pay 240aed for tickets (60aedperticket) (pretty high in my opinion)
3. Nevertheless, we family got in through the gate because the security just took our ticket and let us in. Didn't get why the whole family drama was?
4. After completing my visit I noted the that many shops and rides were closed down.
5. There was no male prayer room.
6. The park was not maintained properly and up to standard. The water in pond where you drive the duck boat is contaminated and green. The infrastructure overall and the machines of rides were very old.
7. This is by far the most annoying thing. Local kids broke the cue to the rides again and again and the management seemes to be helpless and frustrated and couldn't do a thing to stop such behaviour. They would run through empty spaces and climb over the barricades of the lanes.
8. One of the fountains that I saw wasn't being used or wasn't working. It had no water.
Overall, the quality of the park went down from my last visit in 2018.
I would say if you are coming from Dubai to spend your Eid holiday or perhaps and any other day. Please don't go to this park. It's not worth it.
Driving 1hr from Dubai to and from the park is very tiring. It may be good for those who live in the same area and who don't have a second good option. This park used to be so charming couple of years ago.
It can be improved if the above issues that I experienced are acted and implemented upon.
Thank you.

An old style outdoor park with rides
If you want to go back to memories this is the place !

This is the best outdoors for the entire family in winter. There is no need to purchase tickets online as it is never crowded. It opens at 2 and has all the facilities to spend the whole day, so go early to skip the queues. Clean washrooms and prayer rooms. Ample cafeterias for quick grabs.
Operators are always present at the rides and repear it as many times as you wish.
Some rides are only for adults and big kids from 7 above, like Rollercoaster, spinning ship, turbo spin. Wish they had mini rollercosters for younger kids, too.
Park is really old. Hence, the rides look rusted area is clean and still need more maintenance, especially for 5D cinemas and some broken rides.
Overall, it is a great place to enjoy away from hustle playareas in the city.
Sameera Ahmed — Google review
Games are not so good but 3 out of 5 stars. Even many games are not working. All games are out door game so in hot weather it is not good idea. All games are free inside. If all games are working then entry is not expensive. They said kids less then 1meter are free but I don't think so. Adult looks like charged 50 to 60AED. Price can veri
Ghost — Google review
The ticket price is reasonable, as your entrance fee will cover all your rides! It’s a really fun place to go with friends and families to find those childhood memories: not just the rides, but also vibes and all the childhood toys!
You can also bring your own snacks and picnic blanket. The grasses next to Mary go around is perfect for an afternoon picnic!

Hili Fun City is a great place for families with smaller children. The park have some Rides for adults, many Rides and play area for childrens. It's extremely popular on the weekends with local families due to the good-value admission fee. The ticket price is AED 60 (Thursday-sunday) for ( Monday to Wednesday ticket price is 30 AED). it's best to plan your visit for the early evening so that you miss the heat of the day. You can easily spend time here with many fun activities. Food costs is also reasonable. Have lot of spaces for parking. But some of the Rides are closed I don't the reason. But it's Worth to visit that palace with families and childrens.

So I had My Visit here , Eventhough the Site was beautifully Constructed with Modern Heritage Theme To it , It still wasnt that great since it lacks activities or things to look at .
Arabs Has a very enriched Cultured, and Many things could have been brought up in a Heritage place like this , example could include like they could have enlightened us with the music they used to hear , types of dresses they used to wear , Traditional Food that was popular at that time and even could be the more details of their social customs and their way of hospitality..
All this place has was screens to read of and Rooms to look at ,Nothing more interesting ...
Hopefully they make good use of this beautiful site and enrich us with more customs and traditions in future cause we will be enlighten to understand and appreciate Arab Culture More 🙏

Water flowing structures in the outside of the fort is marvellous. Better to read the information engravings installed in the surroundings for better understanding about the history of the fort and site.

Qasr Al Muwaiji has played an important role in the history of the United Arab Emirates and represents a fine example of early 20th century mudbrick architecture. It was built in the time of Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Zayed the First (r. 1855–1909) and his son, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan. Later it became the home and administrative base for the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Founding Father of the UAE, when in 1946 he became the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region. His eldest son, the late H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was born at Qasr Al Muwaiji two years later and spent much of his youth there, learning from his father.
North West Tower
Qasr Al Muwaiji
It was here in the rooms located in NW Tower where H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the second president of UAE (2004-2022) spent much of his childhood. On 4 January 2010, the world's tallest man-made structure, originally known as Burj Dubai, was renamed the Burj Khalifa in his honour.
The Three towers
The towers at the three corners (NE, NW and SE) served purpose of protecting the settlements and Muwaiji oases from roaming bandits. In times of attack the large central courtyard was used to shelter the people from raiders.

The fort has 4 important things to see - The Gardens, the Mosque, temporary exhibition, the old fort and the Mubarak Bin London exhibit before you exit. The temporary exhibition focuses on the restoration efforts and walks through an experience in the temperature controlled temporary exhibit. Pictures speak a 1000 wishes . Peaceful place to roam and be in the nature. You see lots of dates cultivation and birds chirping around.
It’s recommended to visit this place around evening. Because it’s not that hot and very cool weather. There’s also a cafe inside it. It is little bit expensive but good food and coffee.
You can also rent a cycle or small vehicle if you do not like to walk.
Outside the oasis, you can see the park which is quiet big. There’s a playground for children as well. So you can bring your kids and have a good quality time with your family.

The place is beautiful. I liked the yellow date the best. I know that it wasn't ripe, but it was so good. I have a new love for dates. I would have loved to climb the tree, but my body said no.

Way nicer than we expected. Perfect for a 1 hour bike ride around the grounds in nature. Beautiful thick canopy for shade and nice weather in January. We rented 2 bicycles but they have e-scooters and 2 person quadcycles as well. There's not really a place to park the bikes and picnic if that's your plan but can have a nice ride then eat afterwards.

The sections with the palm trees are consecutive and they form nice walkings. There are the main streets that you can follow and enter in some section with the gate open. Visible all the falaj system, very interesting. some parts with the water and others no.

I have truly fallen in love with this place! I believe it reflects the core value of UAE where you can find the palm trees, traditional food, and lots of music and arts shows. Souq Al-Wahat has added a special vibes to this place where family and friends can meet to stroll around in a cheerful place as it is.

Nice for a walk and seeing a different place. But it doesn't offer too much. We hired a quadro bike, it has a closed roof, so it feels closed. I felt walking would be a better choice. Or normal bicycles. There is a nice cafe in the middle. Food was good. Especially date cake and coffee.

Beautiful oasis. No entry fees. I recommend to plan ur visit during winter time. We took a bicycle for 2 persons to go around for 60 aed per hour rent. The area is quite big and easy to get lost. Get a bottle of water before u start ur journey as there is no place to buy water or a snack after u start walking around. I would definitely come back again in December or January.

The Al Ain Palace Museum is a historic home of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE. The museum tells the story of Sheikh Zayed and his family, including his role in building the UAE. Exhibits include furniture, art and jewels from throughout Sheikh Zayed's life.
The Birthplace of H.H Sheikh Zayed, now turned into a Museum, you can get ideas from how the King had lived and what kind of activities did he enjoy doing in his free times….

The Al Ain Zoo is the largest and most important zoo in UAE. It is home to 197 different species of animals, many of which are endangered. The zoo has a research facility that specializes in breeding and conservation programs for local endangered species. Some of the highlights of the zoo include viewing grazing Arabian oryx, big-horned Barbary sheep, rhinos, hippos, tigers and lions.
We visited this zoo on a Saturday morning and it was quiet at 10am. We got tickets for a family of four for around AED55+ with gov discount - very good deal indeed. We managed to see most of the animals like lion, tiger, leopard, giraffe, hippo and crocodile as mostly was out or under the shades as it was not too hot yet. I can imagine they will hide maybe later in the afternoon when it’s warmer. Overall, the zoo was very well run, clean and lots of space to walk for the kids. Took us almost 3 hours and would recommend especially for a family outing in the winter months.

It is a lovely Zoo. A truly interesting location to visit it is quite a unique place filled with many different experiences. It is a very nice Zoo to visit and I had went there many times as a Child and a couples times as I got older. I had many fun and enjoyable moments there. The Animals were in great condition and seemed healthy. As well as going to the Safari with a good guide who explained things about animals and the zoo itself. The bird show was very interesting and knowledgeable filled with many unique birds and how the birds were surrounding us and flew around us was amazing. Would highly recommend to go during the afternoon after 3 pm go with a bag packed with food and water.
The Penguin Exhibit was one of the best parts seeing them through a glass separating us from them and where they stayed was an area with glaciers of Ice and cold water with an extremely cold climate.
The exotic animal exhibit was nice as well it had Snakes, Reptiles and other such animals in a dark showing room with each animals being separated from the other in a different hold.
We managed to see most of the animals like lion, tiger, leopard, giraffe, hippo and crocodile as mostly was out or under the shades as it was not too hot yet. We had such a great time with the kids. There were lions, Dino, giraffes, endangered oryx, deer, gorilla, leopards and more. We enjoyed the safari which was just 40 mins.
The area is so big we unfortunately did run out of time to see the reptile section, furthermore we missed out on the Cheetah run and other experiences that had been cancelled. So it’s best to check ahead what is showing. And make sure to allocate a full day. Unless you hire the cart rides to navigate around the zoo.
The bird show of raptors, vultures and eagles was great except we wished the person presenting the show was more clear in speaking. We couldn’t understand her English at moments, which was the same with the safari tour guide. Food options inside are limited. It’s best to eat ahead before getting in as there are some food stalls outside. Overall a great experience. Thanks!

It was a nice experience to do safari from here. Not much expensive even. The guide with us was so supportive and was very helpful. I actually forgot her name. You should always try Safari, Rather than just going for the shows and cages. Clean and well maintained. It’s good to see everyone embracing the digital culture.
We bought the ticket online and it helped our entry very smooth without any delay. I will always suggest to get the tickets online. There was a big queue at the ticket counter for those who were trying to take the ticket from there. Keep this also in your plan along with Jebel Hafeet and it will be pretty good.

We recently visited this zoo, and it was an incredible experience! Tickets can be purchased online or at the entrance, which makes planning your visit easy.
The variety of animals they have is truly impressive, and it’s clear that the staff is dedicated to their well-being. The enclosures are spacious and impeccably maintained, ensuring a comfortable environment for the animals.
What truly makes this zoo stand out is its educational focus. Informative signs and engaging exhibits are scattered throughout, creating an enriching experience for both children and adults to learn about wildlife conservation.
There’s a wealth of entertaining activities, including the opportunity to feed Giraffes, enjoy Penguin feedings, and witness captivating bird shows. Additionally, the kids’ play area is a fantastic attraction. You’ll also find cafes and food stalls inside, making it convenient for refreshments.
Overall, our visit was a perfect blend of fun and education. Just be sure to plan your visit during pleasant weather to fully enjoy this remarkable zoo!

Visiting Al Ain Zoo Safari was an unforgettable and enriching experience for us. We had the pleasure of spending our day immersed in the wonders of the jungle safari, where the off-road land cruiser adventure brought us up close and personal with a variety of fascinating animals.
The process of booking our safari was smooth, having arranged it a day before our visit. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we arrived at the zoo location an hour later than planned. To our delight, the staff at Al Ain Zoo Safari demonstrated exceptional professionalism and were incredibly accommodating.
The staff's helpful and friendly demeanor played a significant role in turning our slight delay into a seamless and enjoyable experience. Despite our tardiness, they efficiently managed to ensure that our visit remained nothing short of amazing. Their dedication to providing a positive encounter for visitors was evident throughout our time at the safari.
The jungle safari itself was a highlight of our visit. The off-road land cruiser adventure allowed us to witness animals in their natural habitat, creating an authentic and immersive experience. Al Ain Zoo offers an enchanting experience for wildlife enthusiasts and families alike. From the moment you step through its gates, you're greeted with a diverse array of well-maintained enclosures housing a wide range of animals. It's the perfect destination for a day out with family and friends, promising both educational insights and the sheer pleasure of observing magnificent creatures in their natural habitats.
During my visit, I found myself thoroughly immersed in the fascinating world of wildlife, thanks to the zoo's informative exhibits and engaging presentations. From majestic big cats to playful primates, every corner of the zoo seemed to hold a new discovery, making it an enriching experience for visitors of all ages.
The environment within Al Ain Zoo is conducive to leisurely strolls and exploration, with ample opportunities for visitors to interact with the exhibits and learn more about the animals. The signage throughout the zoo is clear and descriptive, enhancing the overall experience and ensuring that guests can navigate the grounds with ease.
Moreover, the security personnel at Al Ain Zoo are incredibly helpful and accommodating, readily available to provide guidance and assistance to visitors as needed. Their presence adds an extra layer of comfort and safety, allowing guests to fully enjoy their time at the zoo without any concerns.
However, it's worth noting that some areas of the zoo may be restricted or under maintenance during certain periods, which can be disappointing for visitors hoping to explore every corner of the facility. Despite this minor inconvenience, Al Ain Zoo remains a fantastic destination for fun and enjoyment, offering a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
In conclusion, I highly recommend a visit to Al Ain Zoo for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the wonders of the natural world. It's a true gem in the UAE, providing countless opportunities for adventure, learning, and unforgettable memories. Don't miss out on the chance to experience the magic of Al Ain Zoo – it's an experience you won't soon forget!

It's a beautiful zoo and it's very large. I love this zoo because it is not just a place to view animals as there's a research Centre. There are enough trees providing healthy and beautiful ambience to the zoo. It was a good exercise for me as I walked around the zoo. They have a good number of staff at strategic locations ready to help tourists with information. The zoo is clean. There are shops to buy snacks and drinks. There's shuttle service for people who would like to ride around. The zoo has very large car park. As at when I came here, it was possible to come here riding in any of these busses from town - 904,905,914,915.

Zoo is spread over a large area. I recommend taking the shuttle service if the weather is hot, as it is exhausting to walk in the heat although it can be expensive if there are more people. Some of the exhibits were closed or opening soon when we visited. The penguin experience was fun. We were able to feed them. Ms Noora , our guide took care of us and was very courteous. She even helped getting us around the park. The cheetah run was very short show. By the time you actually settle and watch the show it is over. Would be nice if they added more activities to it. The bird show is worth to watch. Got to know a lot of information about different kinds of birds.

This zoo is not worth for any hype, most of the cages are empty and 5-6km of walking all around to see the cages. Now weather becoming not favourable for walking. Buggy rides are available with extra charges. Personally, prefer walking, taking our own time seeing animals and taking photos will be more fun rather passing by in train or buggy rides. Place is clean and maintained properly. Restaurants and cafes are available.
Washroom in front of the entrance are not cleaned properly and tissues are not disposed when it was full, even though two staffs are there.

I have visited the zoo a few times. The routes are a bit complicated, and it is quite difficult to navigate, especially during the summer months. I would like to highlight the way the animal areas or cages are designed, as most of the animals seek shade and are always on the other side from the viewing deck. I would not recommend visiting the zoo during the summer. In terms of value for money, there are better options available in other emirates.

Seems it's going under revamp. Quite a lot of exhibits were coming soon and a few were not even there. The overall state of the facility looked as if it has not been maintained well since quite sometime. Missing signs, broken shades and general upkeep was lacking. Food options are also very limited and high priced. suggestion: book tickets online as its 28.5 for adults whereas on ticket counter the charge is 31.5 per adult + 3 aed extra charge for card payment. Overall I was visiting after 7 years and it definitely lacked the overall experience as it was 7 years ago. I loved this zoo then but I think it needs to be upgraded now. I hope they do. :).

The zoo was huge. You cannot go on walking to see all the animals as they're spread out all over the place. It would be best if you went with the "shuttle service". The shuttle service works like the hop-on hop-off ways. There are five stations, and each station in the zoo has an animal category/region. In addition to the zoo entrance ticket, the shuttle service can be obtained by buying the ticket, too.
In terms of the animal collections, the zoo has (almost) it all, and they've been well taken care of. Although it was the best time to visit (December is cold enough in Al Ain), we had an unfortunate situation seeing these animals in their "habitat" at noon, as it was probably their rest time.
Best of all, the entrance ticket is relatively cheap, friendly staff, a good restaurant, a big car park, and (definitely) the animals.

Very bad experience. Most of the places are under maintenance. Very few animals. The entry tickets are expensive in comparison to what the zoo has to offer. After entry, the shuttle service is very costly. Even after collecting expensive fee, the service offered is horrible. You have to wait for long time at each station. Most of the exhibits are empty. No shades for visitors. I don't understand why they had a structure along the walkway without a top for shade. Dubai safari park is far better. Al ain zoo is not even 10% of dubai safari Park. Wont be visiting in near future. My advice, there are better options than this zoo. Still want to visit, keep your expectations low.

There are a lot animals, the zoo is huge and it is hard to cover on foot, many animals are hard to see because we went there in the early afternoon and it was hot even in December. Although it was a cool experience, the lack of clear signs and maps of the zoo made it difficult to see every thing, however the staff were very nice and guided us whenever we ask them a question. The Al Ain National Museum is a museum in Al Ain, UAE dedicated to showcasing the history and culture of UAE. The museum has sections devoted to archaeology, ethnography, and gifts, and contains a wide variety of artifacts from the Stone Age to the pre-oil era.

Al Ain National Museum was established in 1969 under the guidance of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Collections
The museum consists of two main sections:
The Ethnographic Section illustrates the life of people occupying the region during the pre-oil era. It highlights remarkable phases in the life of a typical citizen at that time such as birth, education, marriage, and working life. The section displays some old versions of the Holy Quran, manuscripts, women clothes and cosmetic materials.
The Archaeological Section exhibits the antiquities of the country's ancient ages in a chronological order beginning with the Stone Age, then the Bronze Age (The third and second Millennium BC), over the Hellenistic eras, and ending with the Islamic Ages. Discoveries of these various ages such as stone tools, ironware, bronze ware, in addition to pottery and arrow heads, are all displayed in this section. Moreover, this section highlights the modern developments and the cultural transition, which the country witnessed following the discovery of oil with all its socio-economic impacts.

Very informative place. Must visit the museum to know and see the history of Al Ain and it's nearby places. We enjoyed our visit to the museum and fort. The place is well maintained and worth more than the small entry fee of AED 3.00.

Nice historical place here in Al Ain. The place where the Founder of this nation Shiekh Zayyed stays for long time. You can see old age living environments here. Must visit very informative. Also it's free no entrance fee. Located in the central area of city easily accessible.

Quaint little museum attached to a small fort. Lots of antiquities from the country on show. It's 3 AED per adult for a visit, maybe it should have been free. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is no taxi line. Getting a taxi means a walk to the nearest main road across a car park.

The Al Ain Mall is a shopping center that offers a diverse range of fashion and lifestyle stores. It features an impressive hypermarket, as well as an ice rink and a 4-screen cinema, making it the perfect destination for families looking for all-round entertainment. The mall is aesthetically pleasing with fountains that provide excellent photo opportunities for Instagram users. Carrefour, the supermarket within the mall, has an extensive selection of products to choose from.
Awesome gym within the Mall which features a Women's only and Mixed Gym. High quality fitness brands, huge cardio and Group fitness Studios. Nice food court, plenty of shops and a large supermarket. Plenty of underground parking.

Beautiful mall in Al ain. Begin with ice ring in the main entrance which i feel very unique about this mall. It’s a very big mall and have almost all the shops inside for shopping and entertainments. Good for families and kid’s to enjoy weekends.

I was really impressed by the mall, how big it is , how you can find all the brands, and more than any other mall in one place so it's very enjoying for shopping, how the kids area is big and enjoyable for the kids.
The mall when you see it from outside you think it's small mall , however it's very huge from inside.
You can go inside the mall , and enjoy playing with your kids, enjoy shopping and have a great dinner before you return back home.
You can spend the whole day there and you won't get bored.
I really loved the place there among with my kids.

Visited classic cars museum attraction in Al Ain, however it was closed. I would advised you to call or to book an appointment ahead of time to avoid any inconveniences. Though Google says it's open from 9-5pm but when we reached there at 1pm, it's already closed, 10dhs entrance fee isn't bad at all to see these antique and classic cars.

The one thing I missed was the hot water springs that the place was famous for. Seems like there is some maintenance work underway.

Mbazzarah Al Khadra - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
The Green Mubazzarah Hot Springs Pools, nestled in a picturesque grassy setting, are a well-liked destination for both swimming and picnicking. This popular spot offers not only the opportunity for leisurely dips in the hot springs but also serves as a therapeutic location for recovering and treating ligament-related issues. Though entry comes at a price of 20aed, it's worth noting that there are no locker room facilities available, necessitating visitors to look after their belongings themselves.
It's a good experience to be in a hot water spring. They have made pools, separate for women and separate for men. Pools are well maintained with flow of fresh hot spring water released every few minutes. Cost per person is 25 AED for one hour & 5 AED for locker. The hot water from spring in men's pool was around 43 Deg Celsius & too hot to be in it for more than 15/20 mins. One hour is more than enough. Avoid hot pool if you had meal just prior to going to such pools. One feels giddy after coming out of the hot water pool & resting. Ample parking space. There are 2 men's pool, pool 1 and pool 4 which is further away. Towels are available for a small price. Winter is the best time to visit this place. One day picnic is the right way to here. Outside the pool area there is ample greenery and barbeque areas. There is a restaurant also nearby. Jabal Hafeet mountain peak is approx 11 Kms above.

For recovery and ligaments treatment in general is great to be.
The cost of the entry is 20aed and they have no locker room for you, so you need to take care of your stuff.

Recommend to stay not more than 15min in the water and try to cool your self down from time to time.

Experience the vibrant local culture at the renowned Al Ain Camel Market, where camels are traded for racing and breeding purposes. Visitors can witness livestock traders in action, particularly dealing with camels and goats, while also having the opportunity to take photos of these majestic creatures. However, it's advisable not to visit alone, especially for women, due to the bustling atmosphere and strong animal odors.

Ornamental market with goats, sheep and camels in Al Ain. Although often visited by tourists, original sales shops still take place here. Not entirely clean due to the system.
Although the staff are flown in from Afghanistan and Pakistan and live in shared rooms on site, everyone is very friendly and not at all intrusive.
Many pet food and vet shops complete the overall picture.
From my point of view, a clear recommendation.

Wonderful market. This is into camel, but close to it, there's bird, goat, sheep and cow market. I came here by 919 bus (909 is the same and you go close to a mall) and then less than 10 minutes walk. The place is surprisingly clean and tidy. I was the only tourist and all people were kind to me. The camels are into large cages but it is pretty free to go around.

My family and I recently visited Al Ain Camel Market and had a wonderful time. The market itself was very interesting and we enjoyed learning about the operations of the market.
What made our visit particularly memorable was the kindness and hospitality shown to us by the Pakistani and Afghan men we met there. They were extremely friendly and helpful, offering to take pictures of us with the camels and explaining how the market operates. We truly appreciated their warmth and generosity.

I loved the fact this place is genuine and not at all a tourist attraction. I was expecting something fake and dirty and turned to be a very good experience in a clean Dubai style clean place. Al ain camel market is not at all a tourist spot. But for a travel enthusiast it will be a unique experience . You can see livestock traders, specifically of camels and goats, see and take photos of camels. But, going there alone especially for women is not a good idea. The 1.240-meter-high Jebel Hafeet overlooks the city of Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates. The mountain is popular for hikes and picnics and is home to endangered species, including red foxes, feral cats, and rock hyrax. A 12km-long paved road completes a completely lit loop to the Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet hotel and coffeehouses at the summit.
Drive through many curves and deep sloped roads, and when you reach the top, you can even experience a very good view. This place will help you relax or cheer with your family & friends. Please note that it will be difficult to get parking on winter weekends. The road is well maintained, and you can see the emergency parking when you drive to the top.

The valley is characterized by vertical cliffs that expose more than 1000m dropoffs. The access point to this popular mountain can be achieved either by foot or 4WD. A double-arched gateway marks the entrance to the town that serves as a natural access point for historic sites such as Bahla and Jabrin.
Jebel Shams is a stunning area of natural beauty. 4WD car recommended as there are lots of twisty dirt tracks towards the top. Lovely and quiet, the place would be perfect for camping (although it was much colder there than in the low-lands!) Beautiful place to watch the sunset. A wide range of hotels and camp sites have been set up within the mountains if you fancy staying somewhere nice.

Mesmerizing views. You feel like you're in the middle of a desert wilderness here.
Moderate hiking in terms of difficulty. Take your time as you walk around to both enjoy the scenery and to find solid footing.
We barely saw any tourists and visited on a beautiful weather day.
The drive up the mountain is a bit long and winding so take your time.

Jabal Shams or Jebel Shams is a mountain located in northeastern Oman north of Al Hamra town. It is known as Jabal Shams because it is the first place to receive sunrise in Oman due to its high peak. It is the highest mountain of the Hajar range and the country. The mountain is a popular sightseeing area located 240 km (150 mi) from Muscat. In the summer, the temperature is around 20 °C (68 °F) and in the winter it drops to less than 0 °C (32 °F). Jabal Shams also hosts Al Nakhur Canyon which is labeled as the Grand Canyon of Arabia. Nearby is Jabal Akhdar, another prominent peak in the region.

This place has stunning views and breathtaking environments, literally. Because it is about 9000 ft above sea level, you might feel that you need a teeny tiny bit more effort to breathe but it is barely noticeable to some people. I went there in the beginning of May and it had a pleasant weather (24°C), about 15°C lower than the typical weather of Oman and it was fairly windy. If you have a loaded car with your family or camping equipment, I'd suggest you to lower your vehicle's tire pressure to 30 psi (it might change depending on your vehicle's specifications and load) because I feel that it is the safest lowest pressure on a tire since most of the road you'll be driving on is off road and also because the higher up you go, the lower the atmospheric pressure becomes and your tires will bulge up and might increase in pressure the higher up you go. I'm not sure of it but I felt the tires of my car had swollen up a bit. Also, most importantly the radiator of your vehicle should be working 10/10 because while you're climbing, the car may overheat for a while and you'll have to stop for it to get cold.
Overall the atmosphere and the scenery is amazing and a 4x4 is highly recommended although normal cars can reach up to the resorts easily. I had a Subaru Legacy 2005 which is AWD and it was fairly easy to reach the resort area without any damage to the under side of the car.

Beautiful place to go and see. Not only the place is gorgeous but also the way to go there and back. At a certain time there is no pavment just dirt-road (except at the very top). You will need a 4-wheeler in order to manage the serpentines. Be aware of the fact that the road can be closed due to rain. Yes, rain! A tour may be canceled because the dirt roads turn into mud besides streams of mud-rivers flood the street afterall. It can be dangerous by then!

Bait Al Safah is a living history museum located in the village of Al Hamra, Oman. The museum features a restored mud-brick house where locals demonstrate traditional Omani practices such as bread-making, coffee-bean grinding, and juniper-oil production. Visitors can also dress up in traditional regional costumes for photo opportunities. The experience includes sitting cross-legged in the reception room (majlis), sampling coffee and dates, surrounded by photos of local sheikhs.
Very interesting and nice place. We actually came here just by coincidence as we left misfat al abriyeen a bit earlier and were quite surprised about it at the end and think this area and house is a bit underrated compared to other attractions. At first we thought this is a very touristic thing when we read online about it and what can I say of course it is but it is somehow very authentic and you learn a lot about the culture and how omanis used to live. The guides are very friendly and helpful and sorry but thank you for the patience with all our questions! ;) I think we asked around 1000 questions about the omani culture and their daily life. We learnt a lot and it was very interesting. Thank you! Entrance fee is 3 OMR.

Entire Al hamrah village is down to ruins due to non occupancy since 1997. There is this one house which still stands and offers a local experience of living in this area.
The ticket to this place is 3 OMR which is a bit expensive but at this cost you get to wear Omani traditional dress, make Omani roti and other cultural experiences.
A tour guide will take you through the house and sit you in the kitchen to watch locals grind the wheat, and make bread. As well as oils you could buy for your skin. Later you will sit in a majlis and enjoy local coffee and dates while the guide tells you stories about the place.
Overall a decent place to visit amidst the ruins.

Very entertaining presentation of making traditional flatbread, coffee and perfume, which you consume for free.
This takes place in an old very well maintained mudhouse with 3 or 4 floors and a personal guidance in English.
You are also encouraged to try on Omani clothing and this all for an entrance fee of 3 Rial, approximately 7 Euro.

The Misfah Old House guesthouse is a pricey accommodation option located in the charming town of Misfat Al Abriyeen. While it may be more rewarding to stay overnight here, the cost may not be worth what you get. The narrow and winding streets surrounding the guesthouse provide a unique and picturesque experience for visitors. However, there are also homestays available in the area that offer an equally beautiful setting for a potentially more affordable price.
Not cheap, but what you get is a “feeling” that is priceless. Family owned and run, the price includes delicious Omani dinner each night and a great breakfast, and the opportunity to stay in a traditional room in a traditional Omani village. The village where the home is located is super charming (and the home is in the center of the village). Service is instinctive and seamless, and the staff are perfect (better than 5 star hotels).

Buffet needs to be improved. Decent & welcoming staff. I would go back again.

First of all, we wereńt too lucky with the weather and had to stay in the room due to lots of rain. So, our feedback is for the location itself. Location is certainly interesting for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. The village itself is interesting to walk around to understand the history and how they are organized with water. Guest House itself: I would downgrade the service part for the food. We did not like it at all (dinner) and other guests were not too happy either. The views, location and welcome process are wonderful though. Food options: There are coffee shops which seem to serve reasonable food too.

Snake Canyon (وادي الثعابين in Arabic, meaning: Canyon of Snakes, but known locally as Seer Al Zamah صير الزامة), also known as Snake Gorge or Wadi Bimah, is a canyon within Wadi Bani Awf in wilayat Al Rustaq in the South Batinah Governorate of Oman. With its awe-inspiring tall cliffs, impressively narrow paths and blue pools (sometimes murky & dried up – more on that later) Snake Canyon has been one of the most popular destination for canyoning and adventure lovers in Oman – with good reasons too! Having heard so much about Snake Canyon it over the past few years, with many planned trips falling through, I was very glad to finally be able to visit it a couple of times already over the past few months. The thrill of exploring Snake Canyon, a combination of trekking, abseiling down large cliffs, swimming and a couple of jumps, makes it a fantastic adventure that is highly recommended for any adventure and outdoor lovers visiting Oman

One of the best Wadi Hikes in Oman. If you are an adventure enthusiastic you'll love this place. Three abseiling points along with a couple of jumps, swimming and wading the journey is thrilling all the way along.
For ameteures this will be a bit hard, otherwise it's from moderate to hard trail.
Take ample of water and Gatorades. The dry sack is of no use because of the jumps and swimming, so wrap your essentials in an airtight bags. Keep your phone safe too
Caution: if it rains, never ever step in. Remember it's a wadi aka a river valley where there is no way to escape if flash floods come and Oman is known for flashfloods

Road to the Canyon is extremely rugged with some extremely steep slopes and climbs you will definitely need a 4x4 and good driving experience. Carry ample of drinking water and food.. there is no mobile and internet connection in the wadi and its very easy to get lost without internet.. and its no joke. Download the area map before going.
Reach early and leave before it dark, plan accordingly.
We couldn't reach all the way as we were not prepared for the hike, you will need some climbing equipment. We walked almost a Kilometer and then it became impossible to walk any further there were only a few puddles of water on the way.

With a history spanning over two million years, the cave boasts four lakes and rare species such as blind fish. I wouldn't recommend going to this place on purpose. If you are passing by, you can take a look.
We have been to many similar places and I can say that these caves are not remarkable.
There is a train from the office to the caves, but it doesn't work. However, it doesn't take long to walk to the caves. Unfortunately a lot of stalactites are broken and the place is too much exposed to human impact.
It will be stuffy inside, so if you have health problems keep that in mind. There is a first aid station at the entrance to the cave on the left.

Weather is humid and wear light clothes, train is mostly not working so you need to walk for 500 meters to reach inside the cave. It’s an exceptional site to visit with rich and old history. A lot of stairs inside and if you can’t walk for 3-4 km then don’t attempt it. Strollers can’t be taken inside and you have to climb stairs again and again. It’s not dangerous but need to walk carefully. Lighting is good and some changes of slipping and falling due to water and area. Good for kids with age who love to do an outdoor activity.

I recently visited Al Hoota Cave, and I must say it was not as exciting as I had hoped. One of the disappointments was the train ride, which unfortunately wasn't operational for so long now. This affected the overall experience as it's supposed to be an integral part of the tour and you ene up walking all the way with same ticket price.
Another important factor to consider is the timing of the visit. I went during the summer, and I would strongly advise against it. The humidity levels soared to more than 80%, making it quite uncomfortable inside the cave. The combination of high humidity and the absence of the train ride diminished the overall enjoyment of the visit.
In hindsight, I would recommend planning a trip to Al Hoota Cave during a cooler season when the train is functioning to ensure a more enjoyable and memorable experience.

Wow, it was my first time to visit such a big cave, amazing, the formations, the rocks, the vast chambers and colorations, a natural wonder. I admire the settings for lighting and visitors passage they made to make our visit memorable, there are also tour guides, if you are patient enough to wait for the next one, it is always better to call in advance to get the tour guides timing, it is free guide by the way, spoiler alert ⚠, the sound they added for the rock formation of the 🦁 is a very nice add up, that elevate the experience and set the mood so nicely. I also loved the bottom lake, which they have programs with other guides, to go inside the cave from the other side, for those who loves adventure, we saw a group that came out from there, they took like 5 hrs trip in the water. I was also astonished by the fact that all what you see is actually 10% only of the cave overall size. There is also a small museum of geology at the entrance building, nice waiting area for your family who doesn't want to go in with you, not my wife 😅 🤫🤭

Very nice place to visit. We visited during Eid holidays so it was relatively crowded. They have train which takes you to cave entrance and then you walk inside on pathway created. It takes 45 mins to see whole cave. There is small water lake inside and you can hear sound of water at multiple places while walking. If coming from Muscat you will leave highway after 150km and rest goes from different villages. Road conditions are very good. They have small museum inside and small shop selling tea and popcorn.

This is one of the hidden geological treasures of the world. It's a a few million years old and just makes you think about the greatness of it all. Children will love the activities and learning they can have and adults will enjoy the informative guided service. Time your visit for comfort around the walk warmth. Be ready to do some walking on steps and enjoy the numerous photography options. For athletes, ask for the difficult route and swim option but be ready to spend at least 8 hours on the hike. For families and non high adventure sewkes. This is a decent 45 minute walk inside the cave. 28C year round, so ensure you wear something comfortable with good shoes. Stay dehydrated. Young children under 6 will have difficulty in completing the cave visit but can still enjoy the indoor museum and play. Totally recommended for half day tour/visit.

Oman is a geological wonderland and this cave is an example of why it is called that. The Al Hoota cave is a great example of a geological process called Krastification, a process where rocks are dissolved by water percolating the surface carving out caves underground, further water flow through the caves result in beautiful geomorphological features like stalactites, stalagmites, columns, shawls, flow stones and rim stone pools.
The cave is over 2 million years old while the rocks date back to the cretaceous period.
Although the cave is over 8 kms long/deep only less than 1 km of the area is open to the public. There are metal pathways/ staircases that let you explore the different sections of the cave system. You can observe the stalactites and stalagmites close and even touch some (although not advisable). The path is quite easy and even children and the elderly can climb.
There's a geological exhibition attached, which features some great examples of rocks, minerals and fossils from around the world and Oman explaining the formation and evolution of the cave system, the Geological history of Oman in general and the fauna and flora of the cave. There are some great interactive displays that visually explain the evolution of the landscape. I would highly recommend visiting the exhibition prior to visiting the cave so that you would understand the cave features better.
The entrance ticket is priced at 7 riyals, and there's a tour every hour, just make sure you purchase a ticket for a tour that begins after 30-40 mins so that you have ample time to explore the exhibition before being taken on a tour.
The guided tour is not in great detail, the guide walks you to the cave from the entrance and talks about the cave in general before letting you explore on your own later. I don't understand the point of such simple guided tours unless they want to restrict the number of tourists in the cave at any given time.
There's an electric train that is supposed to take you from the visitors center to the cave entrance but we were told that it is under maintenance and we had to walk all the way to the cave entrance. It was around midday and it was quite exhausting. There are water bottles available for free at the entrance.
There's a cafe attached to the visitors center.
The cave is unexpectedly cooler than the temperature outside. It's better to visit in the morning or just before sundown.
To justify the ticket price the management should work on fixing the train, make a simple guidebook/booklet with info about the cave available to the visitors and an audio guide for those who wish to have a detailed tour of the cave.
Overall it's a great spot not to miss from your Oman tour itinerary.

Al Hoota Cave is a must-visit for any nature lover visiting Oman. This cave system is home to a variety of stalactites and stalagmites, as well as a number of underground lakes. Visitors can take a guided tour of the cave, or explore it on their own.

A very good place to visit during any weather, avoiding the rainy season. It has a guided tour to the cave where the guide explains everything in both English and Arabic. Some really awesome limestone formations which date back to centuries can be found inside. Give it at least 1 hour. Usually there is a small mini train which takes you from the registration counter till the entrance of the cave, however the day we went it was under maintenance. The walk is only 7-10 minutes. Overall a very good experience

The guided tour was informative and engaging, giving us insights into the cave's history and significance. Exploring the underground chambers and passages was like stepping into another world. Overall, a must-visit destination for anyone visiting Oman, offering a unique and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

An interesting place having unique massive Stalagmite & Stalactite formations in huge caves. The facilities for tourists' visit is very well arranged. The guide gives an informative tour of the caves.
All information about the place is very well explained in the exhibition center as well. Really liked the way it's showcased and also in an interactive manner.
A must visit place to witness one of nature's most unique creations.

It was a nice experience. There's no 🚂 due to the maintenance. 5-10 minutes Walk to reach cave. While enter the cave it's another world. There are mainly 3 species of small bats, scorpion and blind fish. Long walk inside the cave. Entry fee for foreigners is higher. Please reduce the entry fee without a train it's very high. No entry for wheelchair.

Really worth seeing cave.
The long journey is definitely worth it.
If you come without a reservation and don't want to wait for the next tour (for me it would have been 55 minutes) you can walk through the cave alone at your own risk (a corresponding declaration must be signed).
The path is well developed, but in some places towards the end it's a bit slippery even without moisture.
You should be able to walk well to manage the several hundred stairs.
Michel Carus — Google review
We had to walk to the cave because we were told the train is broken and were still charged the full amount. The track to the cave is not suitable for wheelchair or stroller because you need to keep picking it up and placing it on either side of the track when you are blocked.
The cave itself is majestic and was a new experience for all of us. After returning from the cave and resting in the hall, the kid's did some wall climbing for which we had to pay separately. While I visited the small museum located upstairs. There was also a small cafe down there

Jabreen Castle, a well-preserved fortress constructed in 1675 with twin towers and uniquely painted ceilings, is a remarkable sight rising above the flat landscape. It is one of the most preserved castles that showcases an exquisite collection of architecture. A panoramic view from the flagpole offers a glimpse of the courtyard's latticed windows within the keep.
Amazing, majestic and beautiful castle. Enjoyed the visit. Entry fee is omr 2 per person (for residents). Reception sraff is supportive. They also provide an audio guide device. If you are a tourist its a must visit place.

Definitely recommend a visit to this very fine example of architecture and planning. Very interesting internal structure of the main building.
The staff is very friendly, the prices are more than reasonable and there is an audio guide.
Almost all parts of the castle are accessible from the casemates to the roof, and there is a small cafe on the grounds.
If you arrive at sunset, you will enjoy the fantastic views and sun-drenched rooms of the castle.
If you are an animal lover, there are cute bats 😂 waiting for you downstairs.

During our trip to Oman, we visited a few castles, but Jabreen was one of the best ones. We visited it in the night. This castle showcases the architectural and military marvellous of the time. It took us back into the history and the time. Castle is well maintained and clearly shows the intellectual thinking and logic behind the building and management of the castle. I would definitely recommend it to everyone to visit it. Please make sure you do reserved few hours for it. The staff was not friendly and they didn't help much in any regards that was a bit disappointing.

This castle is interesting because it's different to the forts in Nizwa and Bahla. The rooms are partially decorated and even furnished, so one gets an impression how life looks like back in the ages. It's very nice and artful.

Our visit to Jabreen was part of our Private Full Day Nizwa Fort Nizwa Souq Bahla Fort Jabreen Castle. After visiting we decided that calling it a castle was really a misnomer, in the UK it would have been a fortified manor house. The outer wall was quite low and more for show than defence while the interior was beautifully decorated and a palace type residence.
The ceilings in some of the rooms were beautifully painted and others had ornate plasterwork or stone inscriptions. Some rooms were furnished with carpets, travelling chests and books and there was also a small armoury to visit. The exhibition in one of the rooms told about the castle's founder, Imam Bil'arab-bin Sultan al-Yarubi in the seventeenth century. He is actually buried in the castle and he helped expand Oman as far as the coast of Mozambique, building the countries wealth through trading in slaves. He defeated the Portugese and even raided as far as India as well as expanding trade and education.
The rooms in Jabreen Castle were brighter than either of the previous forts, with tall windows in most rooms and the place had a lovely feel to it, despite being another warren. Interestingly, none of the places we visited today had a hamman, just bathrooms for sluicing yourself clean with water. My favourite feature and perhaps the one that made it most homey, was the open central courtyard. This was a beautiful and tranquil area in the middle of the fort that was immersed in shade but still plenty bright enough, just without some of the heat.

On the way between Nizwa and Bahla, it's a monumental structure that definitely deserves a visit. Nice views from the top
Bahla Fort, a fortress and walled settlement constructed by the Bani Nabhan tribe, is one of Oman's largest historical landmarks. Its mud-brick and stone architecture, featuring round towers and panoramic views from the battlements, has earned it UNESCO World Heritage status. After years of restoration work completed in 2012, visitors can now marvel at its scale and distinctive design. The nearby village built from mud and straw is also worth exploring.
Old and nice fort in bahla., very minimal cahrges for entry (0.5Riyal) Its huge and represent history of oman ,
Visit if you are near by Nizwa or Jabel Akdhar or Jabel Shams

The fort is well preserved and some parts were renovated. The fort itself is historical. However, if you are going by yourself without a guide, it is impossible to know what were the uses of all the rooms inside back in the days. There were no details, no information, nothing. It would be better to see some posters and photos of the fort back in those days if they have and informations should be there about the fort, what were the rooms used for, etc. The entrance fee is 3 rial for each person.
The person in the entrance fee collecting fees said that they are planning to make better changes soon. But the idea of building a coffee shop inside is a No for me.

Visitors can freely explore the ancient ruins and discover old pottery sherds scattered around the area. The 400-year-old mosque situated at the edge of the castle ruins is still in use, adding to the historical charm of the place. Heard of Tanuf as a water bottling company but didnt know there were ruins here. Visited this place as part of a day trip to Nizwa and was happy to see the place as there are not many places like this one can explore.
But at the same time I was disheartened as there seems to be nothing done to keep the place from falling apart other then leaving it untouched.
A few strong showers will definitely bring this place down and all that will remain will be pictures we click.
If you are interested in seeing these ruins and also the ones in Birkat Al Mouz, I suggest you dont postpone your trip further.
