Safari Ramat Gan is one of the best zoos in Israel and a great time to spend with kids. The zoo has an extensive collection of animals from all over the world, including lions, tigers, elephants and more. There are also several exhibits devoted to nature hikes and live animal shows.
A great attraction for kids and grown-ups.
With magnificent animals and places to sit and eat and drink something.
Not a lot of shadows in the walking area, but a lot of sitting zones with enough shadow.
If going with kids it's recommended to arrive with a stroller or other vehicle for them because of the long distances walking for them.
Itzik Reuven — Google review
Well laid out. Good the zoo is shady for the animals and visitors, there was a nice breeze when we visited too. The website makes it hard to purchase online to get the online discount. It kept running but not completing scripts. May work better on a laptop rather than a phone. However, the gentleman at the entrance ticket booth was very helpful. We got a train like ride through the safari to the zoo entrance which was great. However, we did not see it for the trip home. The shuttle is actually a mini bus. Beware the mini shuttle bus does not stop right at the shuttle stop where there are seats in the shade. It stops near the drink and food stores and does not check for passengers at the shuttle stop. There is also no timetable for the shuttle.

So-so safari. There are tons of zebras and a scattering of other animals. They don’t seem to get anywhere near your car though, so it feels like driving your car through a zoo. There was a very long line to get into the lion section which was decidedly underwhelming. The lions were surrounded by an (invisible) electric fence and they were so far away you could barely see them. When we were there they were all sleeping on top of a log pile.
Tuvia Greenberg — Google review
Really nice place that we visit frequently.
The wild animals part is really nice when it's not hot and the animals are active.
The zoo part is also nice when it's not too crowded.
Many exhibitions have been renovated in the last few years, and they are now more modern and let you watch the animals from closer range.
Feeding times are always good to watch.
Don't come on holidays since it's way too crowded.
dani shemesh — Google review
Great place to be with a four year old on Sunday when it was not crowded at all. Four hours in the afternoon was sufficient for almost two rounds: we went to see the lions before that area closes 4:30( probably will be closed earlier as winter hour will come).
The playground is with sand and is high up in the middle of the air.
Had a good time.
Emily Peng — Google review
I was impressed by how clean the zoo is. Even the toilets. I wish there were more water-coolers/drinking-fountains around, especially in the mid-summer heat.
There is a great picnic area and the kids loved it.
And of course they loved all the animals and the information boards for each animal.
It was a great experience.
Meirav Sachs — Google review
They have discounts for Ramat Gan and Tel Aviv residents! Besides that, this place is full of emotions that cute animals can share with you. I love giraffes, zebras, orangutans, and night foxes. The 90 years old giant grandma-turtle is happy to blink you with an aye slowly. You can watch an orangutan TV show series live. Penguins are cooling down and eating fish. It's fascinating. And the animals are taken care of very well. Be aware that the lions’ site closes at 3 PM.
Nikita Nakonechnyi — Google review
The place is not maintained as one would of expected.
The entire zoo is full of rats, even in the bears' cage!!! The ponds in the animals' cages are so filthy that it is difficult to see the bottom of the pond. Moreover, the crocodile's surrounding is very dirty, filled with trash and plastic bottles. Also, we hardly saw the lions because they were far away and their yard is surrounded by an electric wire that prevents them from approaching the cars.
It was a fun experience for the kids, they enjoyed it.
However, very disappointing...

So many impressions!
The park is well fit to the environment, real feeling of being in a jungle
We spent around 4 hours here, and I think it's an adventure for a whole day
What Is important for us - animals are well cared and the company is working on ecological projects of breeding endangered species.
Definitely will come back
Андрей — Google review
Did not love the experience. The animals were so lazy that almost all of them were sleeping.
Few animals weren't in the cage.
It's boring to come all the way just to watch sleeping animals.
Products other than the tickets are overly expensive.
The trip was about walking and watching, nothing such as feeding or petting the animals.
Ruba Egbaria — Google review
Overall great experience for families with children. Loved the drive through part. Seems like in some places, animals need more shade and water sources.
Heila Myara — Google review
We were on a night tour with guidance for our doughter's BT.
Nice and special expiriance.
The guide talk alittle bit too much, but it was really good.
Refael Or-Gabso — Google review
A nice big Zoo, lots of animals. Its the third time I arrived. I didn't see the black panter anymore.
You can't find the Tiger.
The orangutan apes cage is just sad. No real trees, no shelter from the sun. Yet the gorillas had a huge cage with trees in it.
The glass for observation is usually very dirty which makes it hard to see through.
At Friday when all the people get to go out and explore Israel, the Zoo keeps minimum staff. Not many food stops and the food isn't worth the price.
The staff issue is a problem when families feed the animals with chocolate which is toxic for some animals, and there is no staff that you could report to.
Overall, nice expirence for once a year visit.
The Palmach Museum is an interactive museum documenting the history of the Jewish fighting brigade, Palmach. It's surprising because it also has narratives from the fighters themselves!
Not really a museum but more an experience traveling through multiple rooms telling the story of the Palmach. Personalised by relating entirely to a small team. Used original and recreated film which are clearly distinguished. Brings the early struggle for the state to life
Sara Levene — Google review
I went there now at 9.00, but the museum is closed though it should open at 9.00. There is no anouncement on the homepage (neither in the english nor in the hebrew section). The guards said that they open late today only at 10.30. I am an ICOM-Member and visit many museums. Something like this only happend to me in provincial village museums: very unprofessional!

The Palmach Museum is located in Ramat Aviv and is dedicated to the Palmach strike-force of the Haganah defense organization that operated prior to the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948.
shalva1948 — Google review
A most impressive 3D experience. The visuals are immersive and the details bring the history of the emerging nation of Israel's military efforts to coalesce a national defense force. Well done!
Patricia Norcom — Google review
Place starts on time. Walking through 12 rooms with videos that take you on a journey of the beginning of the palmach and the foundations of the idf.
Avi Baldasare — Google review
Honestly the most boring museum I have been too in a long time. I was externally disappointed with the lack of accommodations this museum provided. Note that this Museum does not offer subtitles on any of the films.
Elijah Muhlendorf — Google review
You MUST have a pre-arranged reservation and your passport to get through security and pay the ₪30 entrance fee. There is only the timed, guided tour through the museum that has been built into a military facility.
The tour itself starts with a short speech from your guide, followed by a series of film projections in specially curated sets. The story follows a founding group's experiences through Independence and the subsequent Arab conflicts from the Isreali perspective as the Palmach transitions to the IDF.
There is also a large collection of photographic artifacts and a small Café. Often there are vetrans that visit at the end of the tour for questions and photos.
Daeniilanen E — Google review
Amazing museum. Tell the history in a very engaging and emotional way. You really get into the story. And you learn the values that allowed us to get our country. Very educational experience for kids and adults.
The sound system is not amazing, though.. and it's not recommended to young kids, or highly sensitive...
Bring tissue paper...

Wow! Wow! Wow! Stunning tour of history! You need to call ahead and make a reservation and keep in mind that the tour is appropriate for 6 years and above. The tour keeps all your senses including smell in mind as you are shuffled through time underground. Fantastic! Compelling and as always, whdn considering the personal stories of Israel history, bittersweet.
Elana Aroch — Google review
Very INTERACTIVE Experience!
You move through many different rooms/years and witness personal accounts that make the story real! You can’t get bored
Cool Museum
Great History (though a bit biased)
Definitely worth seeing

A highlight of Tel Aviv. An immersive exhibition that keeps you hooked and tells a powerful story. Run by service personnel who were super helpful. Worth booking in advance as you are guided through at particular times and cannot roam around as per a traditional museum.

Hayarkon Park, located in the citys north, is Israel's most famous park. With 6 landscaped gardens and a pond, as well as sport facilities, open lawns and mini-golf, it complements Tel Avivs urban charm. The park also features 3,500 species of plants and an impressive botanic garden.
My favourite park in TA. Suitable for long walks In summer days it smells eucalyptus. Bicycle accessible.

Very big beautiful park to walk around and enjoy nature, cycle, have a picnic, read a book, etc... includes a lake, with small boats and paddles, a beautiful tropical forest, and old water mills. You could see some fishes, ducks and other animals,

Huge park in Tel Aviv. A great place to relax and walk. A large number of different animals, especially at night. The park has a lot of entertainment and sports grounds. At any time of the year here you can find something to do.

Places like this should be celebrated inside cities! Long story short, it’s a beautiful park that can offer a great stroll, the ability to do any sport imaginable, and somewhere to relax and enjoy your peace of mind! Give it a go!

You can hike along Hayarkon while staying close to the trail. There are also seating areas riverside if you need to catch a breath. This river attraction is located at a National Park with more things to do like the Rock Garden with live Cactus and a bird observatory.

The ANU Museum of the Jewish People is a heritage museum tracing the history of the Jewish people from antiquity to the present day. The museum is situated in Ramat Aviv, a northern Tel Aviv suburb and is popular with Jews from all over the world. Permanent displays take visitors through history, introducing them to important Jewish figures. The museum also conducts educational programs to teach about Judaism.
I highly recommend going to this well-invested museum. Also suitable for children but aged 10+. There are many interactive displays to connect visitors to Jewish history. Includes original items from history. You can spend a good few hours in the museum. There is parking nearby.
Josh — Google review
Fascinating (and very large) museum tackling the concept of “being Jewish”, what it means in contemporary context and through history. Some standout exhibits, some interactive ones, educational and fun for all ages. Could mystify the uninitiated.
Moshe Bar-Levy — Google review
Very interesting museum about Jewish identity. 3 floors, each with a different topic. Be sure to have plenty of time to spend here, there’s a lot to see.
Nom M — Google review
The museum tells you the history of Jewish diaspora and describes Jewish contribution to world culture, as well as the state of the art of the Israeli culture. Consists of three floors focusing on different parts of the subject, it is hard to encompass all the content in one day. Contains interactive features, such as touchscreens, headphones, games. Overall very interesting, although sometimes overly sketchy. Some exhibits are no more than the info from Wikipedia. It is good that they collected it all in a nice form, but I would love to see more insights. In general, a very interesting place, I would come there again.
Oryna Ivashtenko — Google review
The museum has a considerate although often contesting, conflicting and pretentious, content. It might be worth visiting to make up your own opinion. Hence the second star. Also, I had at first a super friendly staff welcoming, but this is probably just to charge me a quite high price of almost 15 eur. However, due to construction, arround the University campus, almost alll entrances to the University campus were closed. It took me more than an hour to reach the entrance with no clear guidance just in a hope walking on the perimeter of the campus in the 32 C hit. One group of 5 people didn't even tried finding the entrance. Phone was not answering but authomatic messages. When asked the staff if possible to use the entry ticket for the following day due to lost time, I was refused. :( So I could see only one floor from three in remaining time. Souvenirs shop and cafe closed, due to weekend. but this was comunucated on the website.
So I guess you meed to take care more for the people willing to learn about your interpretation of the hystory at least providing a clear guidance for entrance and a little jesture to offer at least some compensation acvess for the time lost searching the entrance would had been a friendly jesture.

Warning: This museum is a rabbit hole - once you are in, you won‘t leave! A very good museum that presents Jewish history, cultural life and religion in a modern way. With interesting short movies, good explanations and historic artefacts. Must-see if you have the time and you are interested in Jewish culture.
Mark Nierwetberg — Google review
An amazingly and well designed museum. So much to see and explore.
Had a great time with my 7th grade class.
2 hours isn't enough.our guide, Doron, was excellent and knowledgeable.
miri johnson — Google review
This museum tells about the history and partly the culture of the Jews, and from different angles (music, cinema, theater, religion) and from different times. We can say that here you can see and read everything you would like to know about the Jews.
Very interesting exhibits and their descriptions. Some look like full-fledged small rooms filled with "what the museum wants to show you." It was an interesting experience.
P.S.: The museum is located on the territory of the "university campus", to get into it, you need to go through the checkpoint, and not look on the map for a direct entrance to the museum from the street.
Alexandr Orlov — Google review
I have been to the previous Diaspora Museum a few times and this is my first visit to the renovated and modernized new museum. It’s almost a brand new experience with so many interactive, hi-tech items that kids can play with. It’s so much fun and educational at the same time. The whole atmosphere is different: diverse, colorful, bright, modern, and optimistic. I love the new museum a lot more than the previous one.
Peggy He Guan Mizrahi — Google review
A very good museum to learn more about the Jewish people. 50 NIS per person. We spent 2 to 3 hours there. Level 3 to 2 were the best. Level 1 needs a bit more work. Getting of the tickets could be faster.
Rhys Travel — Google review
Great museum you can easily spend 2 to 3 hours immersing yourself into history of the jewish
The map doesn’t have updated information on the construction going on and where exactly to enter. It took us a while walking to figure that out. However really worth going to the museum and learning
Reinaldo Kibel — Google review
Do yourself a favor and visit this phenomenal museum if you are in Israel or in Tel Aviv as a tourist, as this is one of the highlights of my trip to Israel! I just learned that the place has been renovated and re-opened last 2021, and could probably be the reason why the museum looks very remarkable - ultra modern, spacious, eclectic, and very well-curated. I have learned more about the Jewish people of today and yesteryears, and I was surprised that some very famous people are Jewish (Einstein is Jewish :)). Plus, the in-house tour guide or staff was a phenomenal guy who can speak English very well, and his enthusiasm was enthralling. Highly recommended!
Raymundo Atienza — Google review
A very impresive and comprehensive museum for the jewish history since the bible until today. The exhibition shows its contents in a modern and interesting way, for adults and children alike. We spent 6.5 hours as a family and could even stay longer... The heroes room is an extra charge but highly recommended for children, has lots of activities introducing important jewish figures and their work.
Don't miss it if you are in the area of Tel Aviv.
Museum in Jerusalem that tells the story of the 6,000,000 Jews who were killed by the Nazis during WWII. The exhibits are extensive and cover everything from concentration camps to methods of murder and torture. It is an emotionally difficult but important tour.
Absolutely fascinating place. You'll need a booking reservation. This can be completed on arrival, but entry could be delayed. Bags aren't permitted. Free lockers are available downstairs. There is more to the place than you may think. Be sure you have plenty of time. It's definitely worth the time.
Paul Pimrick — Google review
Most beautiful architecture, very user friendly with audio visual recordings. The chronological arrangement and the flow is well thought out. Picturesque views of Jerusalem at the end of the memorial. Would definitely like to visit again, with more tissues of course.
Tess Mwende — Google review
I visited this place with friends, you should prepare yourself very well emotionally and spiritually, it's not like any museum, the way it design is really unique and the narrative meanwhile the diversity of the contents, the way they present in the same time the politics aspects.
I hope this place will be more open to accepting people from different perspectives and religions.
The location of this place is provocative for some people and neighbors, that's what I heard.
Hamdi Hato — Google review
It will never be possible to understand how such evil existed. This place takes you on a journey through time and year after year reveals the events that led to it. This is a rare and humane record of the atrocities that took place, and of the starvation that took place. This is a visit you should not miss. It will definitely make you think about human nature and the things it is capable of doing to other human beings.

Nobody can miss it! There are a lot of real videos, pictures, belongings and statements by survivors. Spare 3 to 4 hours to spend there. The whole experience is just amazing and very touchy. I suggest you leave the children's memorial to the end. I got there by tram + short walk. Quick, easy and cheap. Entrance to the museum is free but you need to book in advance. Map is 12 nis and I suggest you buy it. If you are blessed like me, you will meet a lovely lady who is a survivor and she will explain the map to you.

Yad Vashem: Will be one of the Most Historical, Beautiful, Educational, Somber and Sorrowful Places You Could EVER Visit. As if Learning about the Holocaust wasn't enough; This Place puts everything you ever learned about the Holocaust into a WHOLE Different Perspective and I couldn't Stop Crying The whole time. I was enveloped with every photograph, every sound, letter, artifact, diary, projections on the walls, music; even others walking around with hands over their mouths to muffle their cries. This place puts your Mind back into another time in World History, where Millions of innocent Lives were Taken.
A must visit museum for every person on the planet. The horrible history our not that distant ancestors experienced must not be forgotten and learned in the near and distant future. One of the most incredible museums about the holocaust I've ever been to. So many objects, statements, information, etc. You need to book your visit in advance, due to this museum is sooooo busy, you not going to be able to get access without a previous booking. Only 15 minutes from Jerusalem's city centre it is a great opportunity to see a big collection of one event we hope that it never happens again.

A must for everyone. It is an educational visit. Budget ample time. It isn’t easy. But it’s necessary for Jew and non Jew alike. There are no tickets or admission fees. The mammoth Mahane Yehuda Market is a popular destination for tourists and locals in Jerusalem. It offers a diverse selection of goods, from fresh produce to clothing and shoes. At night, it's lively with music and graffiti.
I learned about this market from friends who went and took a culinary tour here. I saw several of those tours and people looked like they were really enjoying it.
I walked around on my own and it took a few hours. There are loads of fruit and vegetable stands, halvah stores, olives, spices, candy, a few Judaic stores, cell phone stores, meat and fish stands, places for gifts and loads of restaurants.
It’s a great place to shop.

This is a great market for a variety of local foods and drinks, as well as a few other things, but mainly food and drink in abundant variations - check the photos. As well as stalls selling food, there are various restaurants, cafes and bars to drop by. The market is not too big, easy enough for a stroll around and makes a nice walk, on the sunshine from the old town.

Maybe the most colorful markets in Israel (and one of the most in the world). People come here to buy food, to eat, to have drink with friends or just enjoy the atmosphere. Restaurants, bars, special vibe especially on Friday's noon which is very packed. Have attached light train station.

This is a diverse and varied market that at some points in the week, can be chaotic and fun!! You get all the vibes, all the music and the people are friendly!! Fun experience with a wide variety of things to see, smell and try.
Many locals come to buy their fruits and groceries here which gives you a hint at the quality. After about 100 meters in, you have the "copy paste" of the previous stalls, just slightly differently decorated.
Worth a visit for the experience.
When ordering, be sure to give a requested weight of what you want to order, otherwise they will fill your bags and you will end up paying more than you perhaps expected i.e. With nuts and seeds

Local Farmer's Market of Jerusalem. The freshest produce, cheeses, meats, poultry and baked goods. Lots of bars and hole in the wall eateries. From traditional to exotic. It's where most of the locals shop. If, like me, you're into and like to explore bazaars and local Farmer's Markets, then you have to experience this one. Prepare to spend couple of hours. Especially if you plan to sit and enjoy some fine eateries, wine and cheese shops.

One of the best markets I have been to in Israel. Extremely clean, and the place sells such a huge variety of items (fresh fruits, dried fruits, fish, sweets such as halva and baklava). Jaffa Gate Hostel offers simple dorms and private rooms, along with amenities like a TV lounge and guest kitchen. The hostel is conveniently located near the Tower of David, also known as David's Citadel, which showcases Jerusalem's rich history through changing exhibitions and various activities for visitors of all ages. Situated by one of the main entrances to the Old City, the museum features artifacts from different periods in Jerusalem's history, providing a comprehensive narrative from ancient times to modern declarations.
Cheap, great location, very helpful and friendly workers. Do not expect luxury, it is very very basic, but correct and clean. Photos on booking corespond with reality. I could recommend it for people familiar with cheap hostels. I had shared room, there are also separate rooms. It was quite and quite cold, no windows. Have your towel etc.

They are friendly and nice to help all the stuff and questions , which help a lot
And the room for dorm is in traditional stone , it is so cool ( a bit cold at night )
And good to go up to the rooftop to see the night view of Jerusalem , it is really beautiful and amazing !
All the best to the Jaffa Gate hostel !
And it is in a convenient location !

Lovely cosy hostel in the heart of the old city and with easy access to all the main sights! The rooms are beautiful with stone walls and ceilings. The staff are kind, welcoming and very helpful. The rooms are great value for money and are cleaned daily. there is also a roof terrace with beautiful views over the city. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Hi there me and my partner would like to stay at your hostel in March but out flight isn’t due to land in Tel-aviv until 21:15.
We are just concerned we won’t be with you before 23:00
Is it possible for us to check in between 23:00 and 00:00
Ben Dumpleton — Google review
Ok how to start, pros: the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hostel is in an unbeatable location at Jaffa's gate. The price is very affordable considering where it is. It has very nice views at the second floor and you can hear the call to prayer from the minaret and the bells from the churches.
The cons: WiFi is only available at the ground floor. The rooms are made of rock which is nice but terribly cold in winter. The staff provide us a heater superfast when we mention it. The toilet in the room was functional but maybe for some people it would not fit their standards. Dustier than other places I have been and maybe the beds are not the best.
If you look for a central, functional place with nice people running it and you are in a badget but want to be in the old city this is your place. Also somehow and on the romantic side it was a nice experience to be here. Notice that maybe is not the best place to go with kids or elders.

Look, I'm not into posting bad reviews usually, but this place needs to get it together. The beds were horrible, the sheets, pillows and blankets were just disgusting. I asked for different ones but they all were the same. They do not clean the place at all. Just the floors. My room was so dusty that I sneezed all night and my eyes itched so bad. Zero sleep here. Internet is in lobby only. The boss was nice, but his worker kept charging me more than the boss did, then pocketed the extra, and told me not to tell him. Sheesh.

Jaffa Gate Hostel has great location, we stayed for two nights on July 7th and 8th, and were supposed to be for 4 more days from the 23rd to the 27, but we cancelled as the room was very dirty, and when we told the lady did not say anything. To bad!!!

The Mount of Olives is a historical mountain that is mentioned in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Today, it serves as a cemetery and sacred spot for many people. It is one of the most important sites to visit in Jerusalem, along with the Old City. If the weather permits, tourists can explore these areas on foot. However, if it's too hot or cold outside, visitors can opt to visit museums or underground sights instead.
Definetly a gorgeous place to visit at least once in life.
Hearing the local stories and being part of the history is something awesome.
Will be glad to go back sooner.
You will visit places where Jesus actually were long time ago.
Is just unveliable.

Such an amazing spot to visit. The views over Jerusalem from the top are incredible. The hike up is steep and takes some time, but is definitely worth it. The views are especially amazing during sunset.

Great spot to enjoy the view of Jerusalem. I recommend to visit after 4:30 pm, because I went around 3pm and the sun was to heavy. I think is necessary a place to buy drinks in the area

This is a really interesting place to visit. Having read a lot of the history about this place and seen both the films about Jesus, series Jesus of Nazareth and the 2017 series The Real Jesus of Nazareth, it was great to actually visit where Robert Powell went in the series for myself. It’s a unique experience even if you are not that religious. There is a lot of history in this area. It’s a bit of a walk from the city, especially walking up from Gethsemane to the top.
The views are fantastic, you can see right over the city and clearly see how the old city used to look. If you go to Jerusalem, walking up to Seven Arches ( the actual location of the top ) is a must.

The best spot to see the old Jerusalem. The sunset view is amazing. The old jerusalem Panorama is breathtaking. It's a must place to visit. The Church of Ascension is also located here.

We walk from the old city .. took the steps all the way up .. Great vantage point to see the city.. . If you don't feel like walking you can catch a city bus outside the Damascus gate. ( find bus route/ directions on google maps ) that will take you to the top of mt of Olive to the Vantage point.

"The Mount of Olives offers breathtaking views of Jerusalem's Old City and is a sacred site for Jews, Christians, and Muslims. It's a must-visit spot for its rich history and serene atmosphere, including the Garden of Gethsemane and the Chapel of the Ascension. Come see the beauty and significance of this holy mountain."

This is where you get the iconic photo of old city Jerusalem. It is in walking distance from old city, just exit from lion gate and walk up the hill. Taxi will cost you about 10 usd but since it is about a half an hour walk I recommend walking. There is also a viewing area specifically for taking the photos

Amazing view, can see Al-Aqsa is all it's glory. Be prepared if you plan to walk up as it gets quite steep. Also met a lot of media up there as well as they use this backdrop often.

The Mount of Olives provides a panoramic view of Jerusalem at the base of the groves of olive trees.
The Mount of Olives is named for the olive groves that once covered its slopes. The southern part of the mount was the Silwan necropolis, attributed to the elite of the ancient Kingdom of Judah. The mount has been used as a Jewish cemetery for over 3,000 years and holds approximately 150,000 graves, making it central in the tradition of Jewish cemeteries.
There are several key events in the life of Jesus, as related in the Gospels, that took place on the Mount of Olives, and in the Acts of the Apostles it is described as the place from which Jesus ascended to heaven. Very powerful site.

I wanna go here in Jesus name, this is where Jesus ascended into heaven Acts 1:9-12 and this is where he'll come back Zechariah Ch 14. Hallelujah Glory to God 🔥🦁🕊️ please get to have a relationship with Jesus before that dread and terrible day of the Lord. John 14:6, John 3:16, Romans 10:9, Romans 10:13. 👌🏾

There’s no need to mention the million reasons for visiting Jerusalem. There is, however, good enough reason to mention this beautiful mountain ridge right outside the city. The Mount of Olives, so named for the olive groves that once dotted its slopes, is East Jerusalem’s most prominent point, towering over 800 meters above sea level. This holy site is associated with Islam, Judaism and Christianity, and has been used as a place of prayer and burial since the days of the First Temple. The mountain provides breathtaking views of Jerusalem and beyond – you can enjoy the panorama from the observation platform at the peak.
Go for the Sunset views!
Taybeh Brewing Company is a small but impressive brewery that produces high-quality beer which can easily compete with the German standard. They brew a range of styles, all of which are executed well using Bavarian hops, local water, and Israeli malt in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot. The owners have a fascinating story and their brewery is an example of Palestine's diversity.
This is should be a must see on your trip. You can get to the brewery by catching a taxi or shared taxi from Ramallah city centre. I was in awe of this brewery, beers that challenge the UK scene and a very hospitable staff. I felt very welcomed and glad we got to hear their story. I'll 100% will be back and will also have to add their Oktoberfest festival to my bucketlist now!

We took a tour at Taybeh brewery and was stunned with the quality of beer we taste. I could finished all their IPA if I could. I tasted over 100 kind of IPA in my life but Taybeh’s IPA is the best that I ever tasted in my life. We encourage everyone not miss the beer tour at Taybeh. Taybeh littery means tasty and boy they live to their name, all their beers are Tasty.

I turned up unannounced and the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. I was given a brief tour followed by a sample of their delicious beer. The brewery is surprisingly small but the effort and hard work they put into the product is impressive. Go visit (I visited alone and caught the shared yellow minibus from Ramalleh), buy a beer and sit outside in the sun enjoying the Palestinian countryside. You will not regret it.

I cannot recommend a visit enough! The beer is very, very good and can absolutely compete with the german standard. They managed to brew completely different beer styles and they do them all well!
When I visited we were welcomed with their wheat beer and given a short tour thru the production facilities, which ended in a longer conversation with one of the owners. Their story is fascinating and a great example of the diversity that makes palestine.
My personal Highlight of a great trip and the bottle holds a special place in the collection.

Antique building, part of the ancient city. Now restored and open for various events. There are two entrances: to the territory of the old city, and to the area with cafes and shops. If you do not plan to have lunch, then it is better to pay only for one ticket - to the old city.

Nice concert venue. If you’re going there for a concert, maybe try packing a pillow or something soft to sit on like a jacket because the stone seats can be kind of painful after a while. As a visit during the day, it’s nice but nothing to write home about. But definitely would appreciate cleaner toilets.
Caesarea National Park features the remains of a port city built by King Herod, including ancient Roman ruins such as an aqueduct and amphitheater. It also boasts upmarket harbor shops and dining options, making it a great destination for history enthusiasts and those interested in archeology. Visitors can swim in the sea at nearby HaBonim Beach, which is less crowded on weekdays.
Beautiful and rich in preserved history. If you like history, archeology and having a glimpse into how people in the past lived, these Roman ruins will give you a great view. It is worth the stop to see.

Loved it.
I love the Israeli park system but this one in particular was a little annoying. It seems they’ve allowed to much of the world to deep into the antiquity; the amphitheater was dressed up for a concert and every where you turned there were concessions blasting junky western music.

Very cool place to visit in Israel. Has very deep history and beautiful features. Highly recommended to come during weeks days, less crowded.
Parking was free, at least when we visited!

If you want to see everything, it will take you about 3 hours to walk around. Take your time and drink a lot of water.

A must visit! This is a good half day tour from Tel Aviv or if you travelling to Haifa. Relatively big ancient ruins site, including the hippodrome, amphitheatre, and a stunning view of the crystal clear blue sea.
You can also watch a short clip about the history of Caesarea and how/why the Romans built the city.
If you are going on a sunny day, be sure to put plenty of sunscreen, bring a hat and water! There’s really not many shades available to hide under. Also don’t forget to visit the Aqueduct which is 5 minutes drive away (and is free to visit!)

Love love love this city. So much to see and do. History and artifacts are everywhere. Definitely pack a hat, comfy walking shoes, sunscreen and water as there is lots of walking and exploring to do and it gets quite warm with little shade. Nice places to stop and eat overlooking the water but make sure to book if you want a window seat. Really cool place and a must see if you are in Israel. Highly recommend.

A roman historical place built by Herod the Great. I visited this place by night and it had a different feel to it. The lighting at night is really beautiful and the sound and smell of the ocean complete the vibe. I was here on a Saturday night and it was very lively, music playing, couples walking around, people dining and wining. Definitely a historical and beautiful place to visit on your trip to Israel.

Great place for being immersed in history while having good restaurants all around. I was shocked that they closed at 5pm the entry to the ancient remains.. I mean where do the directors of the place leave? It is Israel in august, you need to offer an early evening tour as it is too hot during the day!!! We had a full day with friends, restaurant, ice cream and a nice walk, plus we went to the beautiful little beach just after the beach bar and had a great swim (but remember to bring shoes as it is very rocky). It would have been 5 stars if it wasn’t for the place closing at 5pm!

One of the most important national parks in Israel, very interesting and well organized. I was there on a Monday and I parked for free right at the main entrance to the park.
If you intend to visit several national parks, I recommend you to buy the Israel Pass for 3 sites (78NIS) or 6 sites (110NIS).
You must reserve at least 2-3 hours so that you can admire all these special places in no rush.

Beautiful and rich in preserved history. If you like history, archeology and having a glimpse into how people in the past lived, these Roman ruins will give you a great view. It is worth the stop to see. This is an impressive Roman era ruin. It is vast and beautiful because it was a right next to the Mediterranean Sea. I enjoyed seeing all the first century arches, the ruins of Herod’s palace and bathhouse, the hippodrome, and the amphitheater. Going here is like walking into history. Paul and Peter from the Bible spent significant time in this place. Even if you are not a history buff, it is easy to imagine people living here and their way of live. It's also a home of amazing restaurants and craft galleries. A must visit.
Alex Drukpa. — Google review
It's all the ruins of what once was great port city. Most of the structures are gone, what's left are pieces of such structures, many are mounted on metal posts.
I had visited other ruins of old towns/cities in my global travel. This one gave a distinct disappointment as there seems to be no signs of archaeologic activity on site.
What's notably left here are:
1. the Roman Amphitheater, which has been dressed up and used for concerts: really? in such a fragile environment???
2. the Hippodrome, a miniature version of Roman's Palatine.
3. portions of the citadel and tower.
I'm not sure the 39NIS (10.26USD) is justified.

Went for a day trip here. Takes about 2 hours to explore it all. Can spend more time to relax by the port in restaurants within the park. Ruins from the Roman times..the view is enhanced by the sea besides. Two beaches nearby to add to the trip. Worth visiting for sure when in Israel or when a short one day vacation is what you are looking for.

If you love history, you're gonna love this archeological park! The Roman amphitheater, the Hippodrome, the Aqueduc and the ruins of Herode's Palace, built for Roman Emperor Augustus, are really something to see. You can even see Cleopatra's Pool ;-)

The history is amazing. How civilizations built this port city long ago shows the ingenuity of the time. A sobering fact is of how this was only accomplished by the sacrifice of slaves.
The Mediterranean is a beautiful sea and you can at least do your toes here.
The hippodrome was the most fascinating to me as I love horses. All I could think about was galloping around that track. On a horse of course.
What an experience.

The Bahá'í Gardens in Haifa, Israel, consist of a series of terraces descending 19 steep steps to a domed shrine that is the final resting place for the prophet-herald of the Baha faith. The gardens offer breathtaking views from the platform at the top and are well worth a visit even if you don't have any interest in Bahai culture or religion. Serenity. Peace. Presence. Otherworldly. It isn’t everyday that you can find a piece of heaven on Earth. There are places on our planet that may enable you to reach a higher conscience and touch the heavens, whether spelunking, redwoods, walkabout, pew in a “holy place”, it is possible. These gardens do it for me and many other fortunate friends.

First of all the entrance is free, which is a great plus for a place like this. Very nice view and beautiful gardens. Unfortunately isn't possible to visit the gardens on your own, but you have to wait for the guided tour (available in Jewish, Arab, English and Russian). A big no from my point of view is that you must stick to the high pace of the guides, so you have a very little time to enjoy the place and take some pictures, furthermore, the guide does not wait the group for the explanations, so if you waste one minute to take a photo, you'll miss the explanations about the place, the religion, etc.

The Gardens are beautiful. First the top level is free to all great views of the Haifa bay and the Baha’i gardens and shrine from the top. However if you really want to experience the gardens then get tickets in advance. If you are in Haifa it should be a must. The tour is about 60 minutes. It is 750 steps down. You will have a guided tour in English if you want and can stop at about 4 levels. You cannot walk back up the steps. You can take a bus 136 -7 stops (I think you need a Rav Kav. Like a metro card to board the bus) to return you back to the top, or walk through the German Colony Blvd and get a taxi. It a bit of a walk but there are cafes along the way back to the Carmel mountain

Got discounted tickets, went with our 3-year-old. He absolutely loved it! He could've run around for hours! Both the outside part and the children's section were perfect for him.
It was great that at any point there were employees around to help! Even the bathroom cleaner was super sweet!
Only downside is the cafeteria- not much variety and quite pricey.

Ordered tickets in advance and then had to choose an entrance hour. This process is pretty cumbersome.
Came with the kids on a public holiday, it was busy but still felt like there was enough space for everybody.
We had loads of fun, the kids loved the interactive activities, the place is huge with many rooms in different themes.
I would totally recommend it, especially the magic room on the last floor.

My family and I visited the science center on a Sunday. We got in for free as we have a membership with the science center in Toronto.
The kids enjoyed the various displays and the splash pad outside. I love that it is an old brick original building showing modern displays.

Great place to enjoy with the kids for few hours, especially on hot or on rain days.
Each room designed on different subject, and invite you to play, touch and explore each one and one of the items.
The place recommended for kids over 3 years old, and it is fully accessable.
This days there is also a dinosaurs exhibition, which is very lovely and highly recommended.

Madatech has some interesting exhibitions on science, space, engineering, and health. It's geared towards kids and young teens, but adults might also find it interesting. The Fool Me exhibit is especially fun, where you learn how to do magic tricks and how science plays a part in magic shows. This isn't to be confused with the "Magic of Science" demonstration, which I suppose is for kids aged 4 to 15, where the scientist demonstrates what happens when various chemicals are combined. Madatech was a fun way to stay out of the heat, but it would have been more interesting if I was 10 years old. Pro tip: If you're going to Madatech in the summer with your kids, bring towels and swimming clothes. There's an outdoor water fountain for kids to play in, which looks like a fun way to cool off.

Madatech, the former site of the prestigious Technion, is a great family experience. The science museum has permanent exhibits accesible to a wide range of ages and audiences and maintains halls specifically for changing exhibits - on our most recent visit it was climate innovation and Klimt, but previously we enjoyed dinosaurs, virtual reality, and others.
The museum boasts a real fighter plane, thought-provoking physics experiments, interactive programming and a well-stocked, if expensive, gift shop.
My only critique is the museum coffee shop, which has museum-level prices but far from museum-quality coffee.

We actually came for Gustav's Klimt exhibition (that was absolutely stunning btw) and after we continued for the rest of Madatech's exhibitions and it was amazing! Very interesting, including another of explanations, possibility to touch and feel the most of a showpieces. The place is suitable for any age, highly recommended!

We had to the pleasure to visit at the museum, this is full day family experience, a lot of information, great opportunity to learn, for the kids and the adults, over all, in, for Israelis the place clean and organize. Got packed after 4 pm, when the place became open for free.

So the store at the "Fool Me" exhibition sure "fooled" me. This lego "set" (if we can call it that) cost 140 NIS. The store assistant and I were both convinced there would be more Lego parts than was displayed in the tiny plastic display box (considering the price). Imagine my child's frustration - and mine - when we pulled out a pile of cardboard instead of the more parts we expected. Now we are the proud owners of "over 100 quick builds, activities and challenges" booklet without the parts to actually build them...
Otherwise, the visit to the museum was actually pretty great.
Park with warm spring water pools for swimming, a waterfall, picnic area & an archaeological museum.
Sheer magnificence. Our children’s favourite spot in Israel. We had to go back twice because they couldn’t get enough. Go when it’s warm enough to swim. No way you could ever be disappointed.

Great place, pleasant warm water. Unfortunately too many visitors leave their rubbish behind. If everyone would take his rubbish home and a few more from floor it would be much nicer.

Great place for swimming. Lots of fun to be had here as the water is comfortable year round. The day was comfortable warm and the water had the right temperature. And the colour of the water I found spectacular. Fantastic mountain retreat with crystal clear freshwater and an amazing back massaging waterfall. The place has a large pool suitable for swimming. It has numerous colored fishes. The open space is of grassland and a suitable place to spend time. The reflection of trees in the water is breathtaking. They have facilities like water supply, place to make BBQ, sitting benches, parking and washroom with dress changing space. Wow huge place lots of parking and space. The water is amazing. This is a must to go place in Israel🥰🥰🥰🇮🇱

One of the best water holes in all of Israel!
It would be wise to bring water shoes, sun screen, and of course, a lot of liquids.
Be sure to keep an eye out for the small fishes in the pools. They like to nibble.

A beautiful park. A sweet place to swim and do a picnic. All natural pools make you feel like your in ancient times. The upper pool is crystal clear, and quite deep. They have shallow portions, and a smaller shallow area for small children. Water temperature is very pleasant, not cold. There are restrooms, with showers and changing areas. A few kiosks selling basic things. Picnic tables all over the park. Lifeguards on duty and security personnel. The entry fee is worth it for the amenities, and because they keep it clean. I'll be coming back.

The trip from Ramat Gan to this National park was enjoyable and what a beautiful place this is in the North of Israël.
The day was comfortable warm and the water had the right temperature. And the colour of the water I found spectacular.
The park has several natural waters, we stayed in the first area, like most people did. But it's way bigger then it looks like.
Two small water falls with small fishes nibbling at your feet (not appreciated by my kids).
It was a great afternoon for 150 shekels for 5 people.

Very nice spot for some rest and relax. I recommend going here early because then it's hot there are a lot of people. If you don't like smoke from grill u won't like it here, there are grills everywhere.

It is a large place for picnics, taking your children, I guess swimming as well. I was there end of September and water was not really clean, neither the facilities. There are only 3 showers so you have to wait in line for them, bathrooms were very dirty so I guess many people prefer the water….if you bring bbq and lots of food you can enjoy but not really for quiet environmental relaxation.

I recently visited Gan Hashlosha and had a fantastic experience! The natural beauty of the park is truly mesmerizing, with its crystal-clear pools and lush green surroundings. It's a perfect spot for families and nature enthusiasts. The facilities were well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed a relaxing day here, picnicking by the water and exploring the gentle streams. If you're looking for a serene escape from the city, Gan Hashlosha is definitely a must-visit destination. Highly recommended!

The Church of Annunciation is a modernist, Franciscan-run Roman Catholic basilica built in 1969 on the site where many believe the Annunciation took place. It dominates the Old City skyline with its lantern-topped cupola and stands on what many Christians believe to be Mary's home. Visitors can walk inside for free and attend mass by checking schedules within the facilities, making it an ideal destination for those interested in Jesus, Mary, and Joseph history.
Beautiful, amazing, spiritual and peaceful place! As a Catholic being able to visit the place where The annunciation happened to the Virgin Mary was a simply wonderful and religious experience. The church is beautiful, on the exterior you can see images of the Virgin Mary for all different countries, worth to enjoy each one of them.

An entrance is free but be careful and wear clothes that cover your shoulders and knees at least.
You can find a gallery with frescoes from different countries. Also basilica is open for visiting.
Unfortunately the Museum on the territory was closed.
Good for visit.

In my opinion, one of the most impressive and amazing churches in the world. The visit to the Church of the Annunciation is powerful and interesting, the structure is amazing. The church was established at the site where, according to one tradition, the Annunciation took place. The church has a variety of works of art in different styles from all over the world.

One can light up an electric candle 🕯in this church - I really liked this idea as I believe that it is more friendly to the environment.
Another thing that I liked is an alley with the paintings and mosaics to the church from all over the world 🌎 One can find donations from the South America, India, and my homeland Ukraine 🇺🇦 It feels really good to find things related to your country when you are that far from it, especially when your country is under attack from the terrorist russian state.
If you plan your visit in advance, I also recommend to bring coins and cash for the donations to support the church.

Basilica of the Annunciation Nazareth, also known as The Catholic Church of the Annunciation, is the most impressive and spectacular site in the city and is considered to be one of the most holy churches for Christianity.
Basilica of the Annunciation an outstanding building in the center of town, is built where it’s believed the house the Virgin Mary was.
On the lower level is the most holy place – Mary’s cave, the cave in which, according to the Catholic-Christian tradition, Mary was visited by Archangel Gabriel and told her she is destined to carry Jesus in her womb.

What an adoring site. To have that preserve reminds us how grateful we should be to see history which changed the of Billions. Love the mosaic from different parts of the world.
Robert Sedillo — Google review
The city around it seems a bit chaotic and dirty, but don't let that discourage you from visiting the basilica itself.
The basilica is rather modern, built in the 60s, with beautiful mosaics and paintings of the Virgin Mary decorating the church's walls. It's a stunning sight to behold, and I was impressed by the attention to detail in the artwork.
But the most interesting thing about the basilica is on the lower floor. Here, there is a preserved cave where Angel Gabriel supposedly told Mary she was going to be pregnant with Jesus. It's one of the few places that keeps the original ruins of the first century, and that's well worth a visit.

There was a mix from different Cristian churches, orthodox, catholic etc and some of them was really strange. The way it was built is also strange. Although the building from outside is not ugly. I hope this is not the best church in Nazareth but our guide show to us only this.

The church was built at where angel Gabriel announced to Virgin Mary that she would be pregnant and give birth to baby Jesus. And the town of Nazareth is where Jesus grew up. Beautiful church. 30% of Nazareth population is Christian.
The Centre International Marie de Nazareth is a diverse cultural complex located near the Basilica of the Annunciation that focuses on fostering relationships and dialogue among Christians and other religions. This Roman Catholic-run venue offers an archaeological site, gardens with Biblical flora, and a cafe with stunning 360-degree views of Nazareth. Visitors can explore in situ ruins dating back to the First Temple period in the basement while enjoying panoramic vistas from the rooftop garden.
Go here! Visiting the center will add to your experience of Nazareth. The best part: the very friendly and smart receptionist guy who will tell you about the ruins and architecture of ancient Nazareth. The 4 videos about the story of Mary and Jesus are interesting if you don't yet know the story. Otherwise you will not learn anything new. The view from the roof terrace is very nice. A good quiet spot to enjoy the sun for a few moments. Entrance fee is donation based.

This is a wonderful, wonderful place to visit in Nazareth. A short walk from the Roman Catholic basilica of the Annuciation of Mary it has wonderful people and a beautiful movie experience that takes you through the life of Jesus and Mary in Nazareth. This center also sits on top of ruins of what a typical house may have looked like back in Jesus' day. You will not regret stopping in to say hi and learning even more about Jesus and Mary.

Worth a short visit since it is only a very short walk from the big Annunciation Church. It only takes a few minutes to see. There is a nice church and then you go downstairs to view the location which might have been the home of the Holy Family and/or Joseph's carpentry workshop. They have kept the downstairs rock-hewn humble.

We visited two weeks ago. We had national park pass, so it was free. Mostly the place includes remains of the ancient ruins. Amazing architecture. Wondered how they designed the bathroom with hot steam underneath the floor. The structures were similar to caesarea national park. Don't miss the entire view from hill top. Amazing and beautiful during sunset. Need atleast two hours to cover the entire area (on foot). Closing time is 4.30 pm. It has a souvenir shop.

Rosh Hanikra is a geological wonder situated on the border of Israel and Lebanon. The cliffs are made of bone-white limestone, and visitors can access the cavernous grottos with turquoise water via a steep cable car ride down to the bottom. The caves have been shaped by waves crashing against the rock, creating a mesmerizing sight and sound experience. Additionally, fruit bats are known to nest in the folds of these rocks.
The cable car ride down is incredible. Just be advised that if the sea is very rough they do close the caves. It is an incredible sight to behold the way the light changes the colors of the water in the caves.

When we were standing in line a group of 15 people passed us by. People were upset and yelled at them but yet they cut in line anyway and even answered back rudely. Very sad, such a beautiful place to see and explore but the entering was a big hassle and drama. Still it was worth it once you entered. Listen to the cave bats, you can hear them clearly and loudly. It's almost certain that Jesus taught in the 1st century synagogue that's been excavated here. The new chapel on site is wonderful, with an atrium dedicated to women, beautiful mosaics, and a great painting in the lower room of the woman receiving healing by touching Jesus' cloak.

Very interesting to learn how they discovered these ruins. The entrance fee is very cheap and they assign you a volunteer that gives you a tour either long or short depending on your time and it’s included with the entrance fee. I’m really happy to have insisted to come here.

My wife and I really enjoyed learning even more about the interesting history of Magdala and seeing the ongoing preservation efforts of Mary Magdalene's home village. Like all of the significant holy places on our journey through the holy Galilean area, this place has a story to share!

It’s always a grace to come to these places and this one is especially precious as there has been so much invested into the archeological sight as well as into the new buildings. The church is especially stunning and build and created in stunning art and excellence. It is absolutely worth it going there and seeing and experiencing it first hand!

The # 1 most inspiring place in the Holy Land to me. This is the synagogue that Mary Magdalene met Jesus of Nazareth (most likely, almost for certain). It was covered with mud from about 100 A.D. to 2009 A.D. Jesus taught here. Jesus walked on these tiles. If you search for “magdalen synagogue discovered” you can read all about it.

Awesome place to stay at. The rooms are spacious with excellent bathrooms. View sight on premises are so nice. Very relaxing quiet place. Peaceful. Buffet is always fresh. Has its own archeological site. Very chill cool spot. It’s a pilgrimage housing but they are very respectful and will not infringe on anyone’s beliefs or practices. Highly recommend it.

Such a special place. There is a lot to see here. I love the beautiful chapel that has a direct view of the Sea of Galilee. The ruins are stunning, and the views of the sea are so beautiful! We would spend lots of time dipping our feet in the water and taking in the beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

Second time I visited! This time, the mosaics, the painting of the woman touching the fringe of Jesus’ garment, the sculptures and the view from the chapel over the Sea of Galilee really hit home! I will be back for sure!

A very large spread out site on the sea of Galilee. Lots to see and learn. There is a local church body that also meets on the site and we met some people speaking in teaching so cool stories that helps bring available to life in a new way.

Father Eamon Kelly is fantastic! He spent time with our whole group, gave answers to difficult questions and brought insight to the scriptures.
Seeing the synagogue where Jesus would have taught and the roads he would have walked on brings light to the whole story. The facilities and building look incredible and have layer after layer of detail.

The Sea of Galilee is a revered site for Christians, believed to be where Jesus performed miracles. It also serves as a popular tourist destination where visitors can enjoy the beaches and relax. Lavnun beach is one such spot, known for its popularity and activities like raft building that offer visitors unique experiences.

🕊️ The fabled Sea of Galilee is where Christians believe Jesus walked on water, calmed the storm, and made Peter and Andrew into “fishers of men.” It's where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. And it's where Jesus fed the masses with a few loaves and fish and gave his Sermon on the Mount.

The Sea of Galilee (Hebrew: יָם כִּנֶּרֶת, Judeo-Aramaic: יַמּא דטבריא, גִּנֵּיסַר, Arabic: بحيرة طبريا), also called Lake Tiberias, Kinneret or Kinnereth,[3] is a freshwater lake in Israel. It is the lowest freshwater lake on Earth and the second-lowest lake in the world (after the Dead Sea, a saltwater lake),[4] at levels between 215 metres (705 ft) and 209 metres (686 ft) below sea level.[5] It is approximately 53 km (33 mi) in circumference, about 21 km (13 mi) long, and 13 km (8.1 mi) wide. Its area is 166.7 km2 (64.4 sq mi) at its fullest, and its maximum depth is approximately 43 metres (141 ft).[6] The lake is fed partly by underground springs but its main source is the Jordan River, which flows through it from north to south and exits the lake at the Degania Dam.

Sea of Galilee aka Lake Tiberias. Is the famous lake where JESUS walked on it and also calmed the storm.
It’s also the lowest fresh water lake on earth.
Peaceful lake indeed and breeze was so cool.

An amazing place to see with my own eyes. I read all about this place and Jesus' ministry here. I also enjoyed sailing on the Sea of Galilee. Luckily, it was a calm and beautiful day.

The place where Jesus Christ performed many miracles including walking on the surface of the water and the feeding of four thousand people.
A very good place to visit when in Israel.

"The Sea of Galilee is a stunning natural wonder in Israel, steeped in religious and historical significance. Take a peaceful boat ride, relax on the beaches, and marvel at the breathtaking scenery."

We're a group of pilgrims from the Philippines🇵🇭.
We're happy to have experienced sailing on a wooden boat across the Sea of Galilee. A good and unforgettable experience for all of us. The skipper even taught us some dance steps while sailing. After the boat ride, all of us were given a certificate that we had survived the trip. It's one for the books. It's a good thing the weather cooperated with us, so sailing was a breeze.

The vibrant Old City is a maze of narrow, pedestrian-only lanes filled with old synagogues, and ancient houses whose blue doors and windows indicate the locals' Kabbalistic beliefs. Galleries and workshops line the streets of the Artists' Quarter, alongside wine cellars and kosher restaurants. Close by, the Khan of the White Donkey cultural center hosts yoga classes and weekly concerts in a restored 1300s building.

Gorgeous location, despite not spotting many birds at this time. A wonderful place to picnic and spend the day. A golf cart is recommended around the track, but bare in mind it has to be returned within 1.5h.

Lookouts
The place offers a stunning view over the valley and a monument to COVID-19 pandemic - the site is deserted and cable station is closed. Rumor has it that it has not recovered after covid lock downs.
Ya Shu — Google review
Most beautiful view in Israel in my opinion. We rappelled down a part of the cliff and hiked the rest.

Pro's: The place is amazing - there is an incredible view from both of the sides of Manara. We also took the tour guide inside Manara, and it was good.
Con's: There is a long waiting between the rides - when you are coming with kids, it can be a problem. Also, the tourist-guide was "semi army", and even that all the security issues are interesting - for kids it's useless, and it's better to give a bigger spot for the amazing nature that we have around the place.
Oren Zur-Shavit — Google review
Good views, but very long wait between rides. The staff is poorly trained and realy not welcoming. The rides are short. The guided tour of manara views is not suitable for young children, with tales of terrorist attacks. Stay away on busy weekends, summer and holidays as the site is not functioning well when there are big crowds.
Eran Guenzberg — Google review
the rides are only open on weekends and holidays except the chairlift and alpine slide which are open daily. great view up there !!!!
