Al Kout Beach Hotel offers a relaxed and upscale beachfront experience with various amenities such as dining options, a gym, indoor and outdoor pools. The hotel is praised for its good service and food, making it suitable for a weekend getaway with family. Some areas for improvement include addressing lighting issues in the kitchen and bathrooms, maximizing the potential of the sea view cafe, and upgrading overall facilities.
It's a great hotel for staying as well as organising your parties and celebrations. The food is fantastic and the staff is very courteous and hospitable.
The restaurants and party areas are very spacious and the interiors simply blend into the outdoor environment.

I repeatedly go to the hotel, especially the restaurants, but in the last three times someone called Mr. Soliman changed my mind and I really start to look for another place to relax. He doesn't show any kind of respect. My family and I felt insult last time. So the hotel is out of our plans these days

This hotel is a local brand and has a lot of potential, the service is good, food is good, the view from a sea view suite is not bad. For a non touristic country like Kuwait it’s more than enough for a weekend getaway with the family.. They have some lighting issues and should be addressed specially in the kitchen and bathrooms.. The sea view cafe has a lot of potential which isn’t used to its max.. Wish they really work on upgrading their hotel to reach a better level..

It is very clean, accommodating, beautiful, etc. The parking is also great since there are many spots and you’re guaranteed to get a spot, even on the busiest of days. It has entertainment for all kids, teens, and adults which makes it a great hangout place. Overall 5 stars.

The “Grand Avenue” side has many luxurious shops and restaurants, including the new “Fendi Caffe” near the Waldorf Astoria. There’s American style eating like “P.F. Located in Kuwait City, Al Mubarakiya Cafe & Restaurant offers a variety of traditional Middle Eastern dishes as well as brewed coffee and tea. The market that has been in business for over 200 years is also home to a wide range of products, including jewelry, gold, artisanal perfumes, vegetables, meat, fruit, fish and spices.

Here you’ll be able to find all sorts of things from spices to traditional clothes, antique pieces and authentic food.

This market is one of the oldest markets in kuwait. It gets crowded mostly in winter. You can find a lot of stores that sells traditional things. Like gold stores, restaurants, cafes, fish market, meat markets, vegetable stores, and a lot of other stores. You can find almost everything here or around this place. The store owners are kind and respectful. The other nice thing about this market is the atmosphere. You can come shopping with your family and friends, and while shopping there are plenty of places for the kids to get entertained. You also can find stores that sells wholesale products but you should look for them. It was an amazing experience we’ve enjoyed it.

This popular traditional market is located in Kuwait City, between Abdullah Al-Mubarak, Abdullah Al-Salem & Palestine Streets. This market has been around for at least 200 years. The market was damaged during the Iraqi invasion in 1990, however it was renovated and it got back its traditional flavor.
You can spend hours in this market strolling around and discovering reasonable bargains on heritage goods such as Persian silk carpets, real Arab antiques, perfumes like musk and oud, and traditional costumes. This place is perfect whether you want to shop, eat, or for sightseeing. Al-Mubarakiya features a variety of shops such as dates, honey, spices, sweets, vegetables, fruits, meat, and fish. In addition to a range of shops accessories, gold and silver jewelries. The market also hosts two mini museums: Sheikh Mubarak Kiosk and the first Islamic pharmacy in Kuwait, and admission is free.
There is a courtyard near Al-Bahar or Sea Mosque, where you can find traditional cafes brewing their teas over coals, and several small restaurants are lined-up where they serve authentic Arabic, Indian, Persian food to the customers in the open air. The prices are the cheapest in Kuwait. On hot summer days, water mist is sprayed from pipes over the tables to give you a cooling feeling. A children playground is nearby and shisha is also available.

المباركية شارع سوق الغربللي خلف ماكدونالدز، مدينة الكويت،, Kuwait City, Kuwait
The Grand Mosque of Kuwait is the biggest mosque in the country and one of over 1000 in the city. It survived an Iraqi invasion and was built at a cost of $46 million, equipped with extravagant features like palm tree-lined courtyards, stained glass from France, Moroccan mosaics, chandeliers from Germany and Italian marble detailing. The interior is decorated with opulent blue and gold-studded designs featuring teak wooden doors from India.
Went Oct. 19, '21 around 9:30am they are open for tours.
My friend and I were overwhelmed by the beauty of the structure, it is purely amazing! The tour guide, Ms. Kholoud is very friendly and informative. Visiting the Grand Mosque is a must if you are staying in Kuwait.

This is a beautiful mosque and the heart of Kuwait City. What I liked best was the friendliness of the staff and tour guides. Also, there is a small but nice calligraphy museum on-site.
My tour guide actually spent over 10 years in the United States and spoke excellent English. She was friendly and jovial, and a big advocate of Kuwait. She was very knowledgeable and answered every question I had.
Although this may not be the largest or most beautiful mosque in the world, it's worth a visit if you're in town.

The tour normally is free of charge and lasts upto an hour.
At the end of the tour, the organizers are generous enough to offer water, juice and coffee for the attendees; again without any charge.

Heaven on earth.. true paradise in the midst of the modern city. I'm very impressed with the organization, the the thematic art through out the vast spaces of the park.. running tracks, walking paths, greenary and natural habitat all over the place.

We were a little concerned that our children (2,4,6) wouldn't have much to do, but they loved running around and especially loved the star fountain. It's easily one of our favourite places in Kuwait thus far.
The Kuwait Towers are iconic structures in the country and a popular tourist attraction. The towers are made of blue-tiled panels and rise to 187m. There is a viewing deck at 120m which offers 360-degree views. A gift shop and restaurants are also available. The towers became famous for their design and it is worth visiting to see them up close.
Absolutely amazing and breathtaking sight day or night in incredible Kuwait City!!! The view from the observation sphere is quite phenomenal! I have been there twice in the past month (day and night) and the staff there is simply wonderful - very helpful and quite friendly all over the area.
The snack bar on the observation deck has many tasty treats and beverages to choose from. One of many beautifully rich and historic sights to see in Kuwait.
Completely recommend!

One of the highlights of the Kuwait Towers is the magnificent panoramic view it offers. As I reached the observation deck, I was greeted with stunning vistas of the Arabian Gulf, as well as an unobstructed view of the city skyline. It was a truly mesmerizing sight that left a lasting impression.
The entrance fee for the Kuwait Towers is 3 KWD. It's worth noting that the towers also house a revolving floor.
Furthermore, the Kuwait Towers allow visitors to witness the beauty of the sea from a different perspective. Whether you choose to take a leisurely stroll around the base of the towers or simply stand and admire the vastness of the ocean, it is an absolute treat for the senses.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Kuwait Towers to anyone visiting or residing in Kuwait. The entrance fee is justified by the remarkable views it offers, giving you a chance to appreciate the natural beauty of the sea and the city from a remarkable vantage point. It's a must-visit destination that will leave you with unforgettable memories.

One of the coolest spots to visit in Kuwait. If you plan accordingly you can come enjoy the cafe or one of the restaurants inside. Take your time and enjoy the rotating observation deck. It cost about 3 KWD for entry only. I’d schedule around 45 minutes for this visit if you take your time.

The Kuwait Towers are such an iconic part the of Kuwait City skyline. And also they are one of the most recognized buildings in Kuwait. I definitely recommend visiting the Kuwait Towers it’s a must see! You also get an amazing view of the Kuwait City skyline and Persian Gulf from inside the spheres. I will definitely be back if I’m in area again.

Good place to visit in Kuwait. One of the iconic plac which you can't miss it. The viewing gallery is very nice and the rotating platform gives you an actual 360degree view from there. They could have added few seat's at least in the cafe area for the people sit back and enjoy the views. It's really disappointing. Very friendly staffs you find from the ticket counter to the end. Please choose a day with clear weather to get the actual beauty of this place. Feel like the evening timing could be the best.

Amazing place. These two towers are actually water towers.. the middle tower looking like Capitol Hill tower contains lighting system for decoration during the darkness. When you go on the top tower, there is a cafeteria, and a section that spins around and it takes 30 minutes per revolution. During that spin, you have sight at a beautiful downtown, water (gulf) and nice buildings around downtown. After that spin though your head start feeling dizzy. Lower tower is where you find your gift shop . Customer service is epic! People take you in elevator up and down, and go above and beyond to help you around!
Please don’t bring any other currency other than KD. Please do not smoke in the area and the compound around. Overall the price is 3KD which is approximately $9.0. Way cheaper Compared to Willis tower downtown Chicago if you ever visited. Otherwise they call can speak English!

The Kuwait Towers are a great place to visit. It costs only 3 KD to get in, and once you're up there, you can enjoy an awesome panoramic view from 120 meters high. The area around the towers is also really nice, with restaurants and coffee shops where you can hang out and relax. It's definitely worth checking out

Pretty cool. 3 kd to go to viewing deck. Not big, but offers really good view. Upper viewing deck has a small drink and snack bar. Has a moving seating area that slowly rotates for 365 viewing while seated.

The best time to go is evening with sunset, the view is beautiful.
The towers are standing beside the sea, nice place to take a slow walk after dinner.
Quite a lot of families picnic at the beach.
Very relaxing place.
Just need a bit of walk if taking public transportation.

One proper landmark in Kuwait. They've maintained the prices the same (from 1996) and not over charged still. The area around at ground level is well kept. The parking needs to be maintained better & the glasses from the viewing sphere needs a thorough cleaning.
Yet, nothing to be taken out- proper 5 stars!

Kuwait Towers - three towers made of reinforced concrete in Kuwait. The main tower is 187 meters high and serves as a restaurant and water tower. It also has a rotating observation ball located at an altitude of 123 m above sea level. A full rotation takes 30 minutes

We went on a weekday.
It was empty.
The staff downstairs are polite as is the lift operator.
The ticket salesperson couldn’t be less enthusiastic but we had our tickets.
1 hour maximum for each visit but there isn’t much to do aside from snaps.
We went it was 40 degrees outside and a ride share taxi is recommended.
Bit overpriced but good clear views;

The ticket counter is just located at the entrance. The view the place is neat clean service is best in class . From the 120 floor the view is amazing 😍. I went to the place the 1 st time in my life . One time visit is good as I went just for the view

It requires 3 KWD per person as an entry fee. The observatory deck is not very big and becomes crowded if a large number of persons visit it at the same time. The deck rotates itself, which takes approx 30 minutes for a full round. The city side view is not so far enough and gets obstructed by other taller buildings. The sea side view is not clear enough due to either hazy weather or unclear glass windows. About half an hour is enough to visit it.

Entrance fee to the tower - if you d like to go up is 3KWD.
The rotating platform on 120th floor is really cool. There is a snack/coffee ahop upstairs. (Sandwich for 1,5KWD - regular prices)
Restaurant is on 86th floor.
Sadly the windows of the tower are dirty so the quality of the pictures are not great.

**Kuwait Towers: An Architectural Marvel on the Arabian Gulf**
Nestled along the Arabian Gulf, the Kuwait Towers are a trio of iconic structures that have become synonymous with the country's modern skyline. Designed by Danish architect Malene Bjorn, these towers have stood tall as a symbol of Kuwait's architectural prowess since their completion in 1979.
**Architecture and Design**
The three towers form a striking ensemble, with their distinctive circular shapes and varying heights. The main tower, known as the Main Tower, stands at an impressive 187 meters tall. Its spherical structure houses two observation decks, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the surrounding gulf.
The two smaller towers, known as the Auxiliary Towers, are 147 meters tall. These towers contain water reservoirs that supply the city with potable water. The spherical orbs at the top of these towers serve as restaurants, providing diners with a unique dining experience with stunning views.
**Engineering Marvel**
The Kuwait Towers are not only architectural masterpieces but also engineering marvels. The Main Tower features a unique suspension system that allows it to withstand high winds and seismic activity. The water reservoirs in the Auxiliary Towers are supported by a complex network of pillars and beams, ensuring the safe storage and distribution of water.
**Tourist Attraction**
The Kuwait Towers have become a major tourist attraction. Visitors can ascend the Main Tower to enjoy the panoramic views, dine in the revolving restaurants of the Auxiliary Towers, or simply admire the towers' striking architecture from afar. The surrounding area features a park, fountains, and other amenities, making it a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.
**Symbol of Kuwait**
The Kuwait Towers have transcended their architectural significance to become a symbol of Kuwait's progress and development. They have been featured on stamps, banknotes, and countless souvenirs, and their image is instantly recognizable around the world.
**Conclusion**
The Kuwait Towers are a testament to the architectural ingenuity and engineering prowess of Kuwait. Their striking design, engineering marvel, and iconic status make them a must-visit attraction for anyone traveling to Kuwait. As a symbol of the country's modern identity, the Kuwait Towers will continue to inspire and awe visitors for generations to come.

The Kuwait Towers are visually striking landmarks best admired from the outside. While their futuristic design is impressive, the interior experience may not match expectations. Limited attractions and views diminish the visit's value. However, their iconic presence against the skyline makes them worth a stop for a quick photo.

The Kuwait Towers are a group of three thin towers in Kuwait City, standing on a promontory into the Persian Gulf. They were the sixth, and last, group in the larger Kuwait Water Towers system of 34 towers (33 store water; one stores equipment), and were built in a style considerably different from the other five groups. The Kuwait Towers were officially inaugurated in March 1979 and are regarded as a landmark and symbol of modern Kuwait. The towers were closed for maintenance from March 2012 to 8 March 2016, with a massive fireworks festival commemorating the re-opening. Kuwait Towers facility is operated and managed by the state-owned Touristic Enterprises Company. The Main Tower served as the venue for TEDxKuwaitCity event in 2018 and 2019.

It's a barren land (almost) with relics of Gulf War all around. This calm n quiet place will surely be a relaxing gateway for you. But my suggestion would be going for one day trip if you have your family along with.

If you are in Kuwait you can not escape this piece of history. We booked a day tour with The Ikarus booth outside Starbucks at the outer exit of Marina mall. Ikaros is also the Greek name which was given to the island during the time of Alexander the Great. Our package included to and fro transfer as well as a buffet lunch. The service was excellent and we got a personal jet boat. The lunch was limited variety but doable. You will have to check if there are other options to eat but we were more into exploring the island than searching for food. Additionally we were carrying a bag full of snacks. Failaka Island takes you back to the ancient history of kuwait. The island has a beautiful beach to spend your day on. We did kayaking and enjoyed the sea and the sunset. There is an interesting museum which has specimens from the Bronze Age and the earlier kuwait civilization. Apart from this our package also included a bus tour of the island. We saw camel farming as well as some warfare antiques left after the 91/92 invasion of Kuwait. It's best to visit between November to April as you will experience cooler breeze and a pleasant weather.

This is a ghost town with not much to explore. We went on a day trip with Ikarus marine in their yacht. The trip consists of entry to the heritage village and activities there of. There is camel ride, horse ride, mini zoo, boating in a artificial lake, mini golf, mini museum with heritage antics, bus tour of the island. The lunch provided is also sumptuous with wide variety of dishes. There is also a cute Failacaffe with nescafe machine coffee, from an old defunct bus. The bus tour around the island includes visit to a yard with remnants of Iraq war 1991; there is tanks, howitzer guns, Jeep, trucks etc. The camel farm visit also includes a bonus of camel milk tasting for visitors. There is also a small patch of beach near the harbor with jet skis and swimming. There is old cooperative store, NBK branch, civil defense station all damaged during the war. It is a must see for everyone in Kuwait. The staff from Ikarus are very friendly and helpful. There is a lot of scope for improvement for the setup there, it is a big opportunity for tourism development in Kuwait.

ChoghaZanbil Ziggurat is an ancient complex with a remarkable stepped design situated in the barren desert surroundings. It is globally recognized as the most excellent surviving specimen of Elamite architecture and has been enlisted by UNESCO. The site's magnificent bulk and splendid semi-desert isolation are awe-inspiring even for those uninterested in ruins. Constructed entirely of bricks, this monument was once used for religious worship and is one of the most ancient structures worldwide.

Chogha Zanbil temple is located in Khuzestan province in southwestern part of Iran and about 40 kilometers far from Susa.
About more than 3000 years ago, in 1250 BC Untash Napirisha, king of Elamite ordered to building of a 5-story building for their biggest god, Inshushinak, they believed that the god protected their city and when they finished the temple, he put the statue of Inshushinak on the pick of the temple in a room.
The temple was decorated with colorful bricks and there were more than 6000 cuniform bricks on the temple's wall.
Unfortunately in 640 BC Ashur Banipal, Assiryan king, attacked them and set the fire on the temple.
It is the first Iranian monument registered with UNESCO in 1979.

In 1979, Chogha Zanbil became the first Iranian site to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
If you look at google maps you will see that there are many historical palaces and houses around it with different distances from the main temple, but unfortunately there isn't any pavements to reach them.

if you are in to the historical landmarks then this place is definitely for you. very very old structure which has been gone through a few reconstruction but still had many original stuff which are untouched. it is extra ordinary and beautiful, definitely recommend to visit.
we get there very very late at night which usually this place is closed but the security guys were nice and let us in.
This place is full of original cuneiform writing over the old bricks, there are some info stand near them which had the translation both in Farsi and English. You can see the map and info related to it at the entrance. be careful to not miss THE FOOTPRINT which is left on one the floor mosaics, there is a lot of stories about this foot print, if you visit at day time you will probably going to benefit from the presents of a tour guide for this place.
Although the provided facilities for this place in not good but the light works provided an exceptional look for this place at night time.
It is sad the official government in Iran won't do much about such great landmarks, the least they can do is to promote these as tourists attraction or save them for futures.

The Shushtar Historical Hydraulic System, a UNESCO world heritage site, is an intricate irrigation system that has been operating for over 1000 years. It features dams, tunnels, canals and water mills powered by artificially created waterfalls. The system diverts water from the Karun River for irrigation purposes and is considered a masterpiece of creative ingenuity. At night, the mills are illuminated by floodlights as they cascade down a tight ravine surrounded by sluices and millponds.

Shushtar Water Structures is the biggest industrial structure that even before the Industrial Revolution, Bashtar Kemer tried to fix it. I don't say this, but the famous French archaeologist Madame Jean Delaufoy mentions it in her travelogue. For 2000 years, mud, clay and water have remained strong and stable together to form 13 water structures and bring prosperity and life with them. The sound of waterfalls echoes in your ears. The wind creates small waves on the river in the middle of the structure and you can see the happy birds flying around.
No matter how much I say about the wonder of Shushtar's water structures, I have not said enough. You just have to be there yourself to understand its magnificence bit by bit. With all the ups and downs that this structure has seen, its life is now in danger and one day there may be no news of all this beauty and originality.
There are 13 water structures in Shushtar and it was registered as one of the national works of Iran on December 17, 2017. In 2009, this structure was registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List

Huge castle dating to the 3rd century, overlooking the river & city from a hilltop perch.
It was fantastic.Falak-ul-Flak Castle, which is also known as Shapurkhashat Fortress or 12 Tower Castle, was once a safe stronghold for the rulers of the country to protect their territory. A few hundred years ago, during the Sassanid period, the Falak El Aflak castle was built with an area of 5300 square meters on the hills of Khorramabad, made of stone, brick, raw clay, plaster and lime. Here, which is one of the sightseeing places of Khorramabad, has been one of the most important routes between the central plateau and the south and west of Iran. A river flows near this castle, which makes the path to Falak El-Aflak Castle seem more pleasant and clean. If you want to know more precisely where Falak Al Aflak Castle is, you should follow Imam Khomeini Street in Khorramabad to reach the castle.
In this part of the Alibaba magazine, you will travel with me on the way to Falak Al-Aflak Castle so that we can enjoy learning about its interesting information. I promise you that after reading this article, you will have good answers to the question of where is the Flak Al-Aflak castle.

Located on the top of a large hill within the city of Khorramabad, western Iran, Falak-ol-Aflak Castle, is a historic monument built during the Sassanid era (224–651) which covers an area of 5,300 square meters.
The architectural masterpiece has been renovated and reconstructed during the Qajar period and the materials used in it are unique.
Since Khorramabad is a city with a pleasant climate and at the same time flood-prone, the castle has been built on a hill and interestingly has a dehumidification system.

1- You will fall in love when you see this place, especially in autumn and spring. 2- To me, changing the area around the TAQ BOSTAN from a pool to a lake and creek and reviving the fountain that happened about 3 years ago, is one of the best decisions. 3- One of the best times for photography is at night when the moon is in the sky.

A must visit if you are nearby don’t miss the opportunity. You can park quite close to the main attraction, the entrance is cheap and worth the visit. Quite peaceful and rich historic place surrounded by the mountains and water, if it’s the Spring time it’ll be greenish and the water ways will be filled, enjoy it if you can! Love the memories of many years visiting this place with my family n friends !

I was there for the first time in my life, my friends which was born in Kermanshah told me that this place was a one of the most beautiful places in Kermanshah to explore, with the lake full of water and waterfalls in the middle of the park, but suddenly now there's no more clean water and greens in the area.

These Sassanid rock reliefs are another beautiful example of Persian art in the heart of Kermanshah. The area has a lake and several giant trees that double the beauty of the place. A must-see highlight while in beautiful Kermanshah.

Very nice place to visit. Those places have always been an attraction to people. The carvings are great. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to get directly in front of them. By a distance of about 10-15 m you can hardly get any detail. Especially the carvings on the side walls of the big cave can't be seen.
Don't miss that place especially during Springtime, it looks a bit like an alpine panorama.

It's very beautiful with some ancient reliefs belong to Sassanid era. It's a relief from qajar era too.
It has some springs that the biggest one's called Anahita spring. Every season you can come Kermanshah and visit Taq e Bostan but it's the most beautiful in spring and fall. Enjoy your trip.

I am from Hamedan,Iran. GANGNAMEH is one of the beautiful historical places in the city of Hamedan.

Ganjnameh in Hamedan, Iran, is a historical site known for its ancient rock inscriptions and scenic beauty. The twin Sassanid-era cuneiform engravings, set against a backdrop of lush greenery and mountains, offer a captivating glimpse into Iran's rich heritage. Visitors can explore the archaeological significance while enjoying the picturesque surroundings. However, limited amenities and accessibility challenges may impact the overall visitor experience. An awe-inspiring site that combines history and natural beauty, Ganjnameh is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

Ganjnameh (Persian: گنجنامه, romanized: Ganjnāme, lit. 'Treasure Book') is located 12 km southwest of Hamadan (ancient Ecbatana) in western Iran, at an altitude of c. 2000 meters across Mount Alvand.[1][2] The site is home to two trilingual Achaemenid cuneiform inscriptions The inscription on the upper left was created on the order of Achaemenid King Darius the Great (r. 522–486 BC) and the one on the right by King Xerxes the Great (r. 486–465 BC).
The two inscription panels of Ganjnameh, carved in stone in 20 lines on a granite rock above a creek, measure 2 × 3 m each. Written in Old Persian, Neo-Babylonian and Neo-Elamite, except for the different royal name, the contents of the two inscriptions are identical; Ahura Mazda receives praise, and lineages and conquests are listed. According to Stuart C. Brown, in the pre-Hellenistic period, this mountain was apparently the main "east-west pass" through Mount Alvand. During the Achaemenid period, Ecbatana functioned as summer capital due to its high elevation and pleasant weather.
The site received its name from local natives, who believed that the inscriptions contained the secret code to a hidden treasure. Two modern contemporary carved tablets have been placed in the site's parking lot with Persian explanation and its English translation

Ancient Inscriptions are belong to Xerxes (Khashayar Shah)and Darius Shah from Hakhamaneshi dynasty (about 2500 years ago).
the translation of Inscriptions is on the other side of Inscriptions in two language of Persian and English. both of them has the same passages except the name of kings, in short the meaning of Inscriptions is:
I am Xerxes the son of Darius
a king from the kings
the king of a vast land with lots people
the god granted me this dignity
and so on...

Hamedan is one of the most beautiful cities in Iran and Ali's tomb is the symbol of Hamedan city, but Hamedan has other historical sights besides Bu Ali Sina's tomb, the historical background of Hamedan reaches more than 2500 years ago. Buali Tomb has a special beauty that you can go to the square to see Buali, but there is definitely no place to park on weekends and holidays, so I suggest you park in the nearby streets where parking meters are installed. Visiting in the evening is better because of the lighting Abu Ali Sina Mausoleum is the tomb of a famous Iranian physician and philosopher who lived in the 4th century AH. This tomb, which is considered one of Hamadan's landmarks and a symbol of this city, is not just a tomb, and in addition to the tomb of Sheikh Al-Raees, it is the burial place of Abu Saeed Dakhdouk, one of Ibn Sina's friends, and the tomb of Abul Qasim Aref Qazvini, the national poet of Iran. There is also a museum to learn about Abu Ali Sina and the science of medicine in this place. A beautiful green space can be seen around the tomb, which has given it a double charm.

Last resting place of Avicenna, or Abu Ali as he is locally known as. Grounds are nicely kept, the museum is disappointing for such a great historic figure who has contributed so much to the world, even into modern times.

The Monument is surrounded by a very nice park. The Monument it self consists of a very massive base, probably inspired by frech revolutionary architecture of late 18th century and a quite bad interpretation of the Gonbad-e Kabus Monument. The Kabus Tower represents a star of twelve beams, that grows out of a cycle and ends in a cycle. It 's not a cylinder toped with a cone on 12 columns.
All in all a good example for architecture of the 1930s although built in 1954.
Museum has lacks lettering in English.

# Soltanieh dome
The dome of Soltanieh was built by order of Sultan Oljaito or Sultan Mohammad Khodabandeh, one of the kings of the Ilkhanid dynasty between 1302 to 1312
The Soltanieh Dome, with a height of 48.5 meters and an inner opening diameter of 25.5 meters, is the third tallest dome in the world after the Church of Santa Maria Delphiore in Florence with 86 meters and the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul with 56 meters.
Some believe that Al-Jaito built this building after converting to Islam and intending to transfer the bodies of Imam Ali and Imam Hussein to Iran, but for some reason he gave up. It is even said that he even converted from Islam and converted to his former religion. In different parts of Soltanieh dome, corridors and maps can be seen that have made some believe that Oljaito was built for some religious customs. He is said to have been buried in the surrounding mountains despite his will to be buried in the crypt.
In terms of structure and architectural decorations, Gonbad Soltanieh is one of the landmarks of Iranian Islamic architecture, which is said to have been a model of various buildings throughout history and is unique in many ways and I recommend you to see if you travel to Iran ,
Soltanieh dome is one of the first examples and according to many experts, it is the first example of a double or double shell dome. This method of construction has made the dome extremely strong and can stay away from natural disasters for hundreds of years. The dome of Soltanieh is mainly made of brick and its dome is covered with beautiful turquoise tiles and golden designs.
The building consists of 8 porches and 8 minarets, which are said to be modeled on 8 in heaven (gates of goodness or doors of goodness). The building includes two periods of decoration. The first round was brick and tile decorations, in which verses from the Qur'an , the names of Allah, Muhammad, Ali, and the name of the Sultan were written through bricks and tiles, but after some time, for some unknown reason, Sultan Mohammad Khodabandeh ordered the tiles to be covered with plaster.
The dome of Soltanieh consists of three main parts: the entrance, the tomb and the crypt.
Gonbad Soltanieh has been registered by UNESCO.
Don't miss it if you travel to Iran

Very unique experience, there are about 1600 steps up the mountains to reach the castle, the journey is great, the castle itself has no added benefits, it's just walls with a high crowded people all over it, the journey to reach there is actually good not the end location, but you should be prepared for the long walk and elevation, most people realize midway that it's very long and they might consider turning back, but once you are up there you feel a great relief and sensation for finishing this. After that it's just pictures and telling people not to give up on the way back.

This mountain castle is amazingly embedded in the green forest that overgrows its walls and courtyards. It is reached by a winding path, climbing gently through the shady forest. You can roam the castle for hours. At the path and at the foot of the castle there are plenty of places where you can eat or buy a variety of souvenirs [e.g. great local tea] can not say enough about the view and how gorgeous it is, it is a historical castle with an amazing view all around it. Nice story as well. But you might wanna be prepared for the journey, it's more than 1600 stairs on a mountain that you have to climb. It really is hard to get up there, but once you're there, you see that its worth it.

Going from Paresar for about 14 kilometers you reach an incredibly eyecatching road through the jungle. There is a bridge over the waterfall, but youd better go down beside the iver and reach the bottom of the river and waterfall. Its just beautifuuuuuuul

It is a rural water fall of paresar city in Gilan province. The road is not suitable for urban cars and there are cafes among the road to reach the waterfall. It takes about 40 minutes from start of the road to each the campus

Natural lagoon & wildlife habitat featuring a variety of birds species, grassy areas & water lilies.
Anzali Lagoon with an area of about 20 thousand hectares in the north of Iran is located in Gilan Province. Anzali Lagoon is one of the most interesting and greatest natural habitats of fauna in Iran and annually welcomes many birds that enter Iran from the neighboring countries. Anzali Lagoon is not comparable to any other lagoons in Iran due to its geographical position and in terms of its high humidity and water. The most famous plant in Anzali Lagoon which is world famous is “nelubium capsicum” which makes this lagoon be called nelubium capsicum.
One of the most beautiful water landscapes in the region is the international Anzali Lagoon.this lagoon is the place for aquatic spawn and the shelter for native and migratory birds and also the most important source of sturgeon and bony fish production in the Caspian Sea. There are outstanding islands in the lagoon and the two magnificent cities of Anzali Lagoon and Abkenar are located on its coast.
Anzali Lagoon was registered in 1354 in the list of international lagoons of Ramsar Convention. “Ramsar Convenstion, 1975”. Bird Life International Organization declared this lagoon as an important shelter birds.
Anzali Lagoon is one of the registered international lagoons in Iran. This lagoon is one of the first lagoons registered in Ramsar Convention in 1971.
Since Anzali Lagoon is a registered international lagoon, it is included in the Montreal List at the moment. Being in this list means the lagoon is being dried and needs attention.
Anzali Lagoon has a sister city relationship with Kushiro Lagoon in the Kushiro National Park in Kushiro-Shitsugen.

This is a large lagoon on the sea side in north iran. We visited in April and took a ride by a speed boat. The ride was nice but we saw no lotus flowers, which is a pity, as they appear later in summer.
We saw some birds but not as many as we expected and the animal living wild in the islands within the lagoon were only buffalos.
We paid over 10 million Tomans for the trip. Very expensive for Iran.
Is it worth it?
I don’t think so although we enjoyed the one hour ride.

Bandar Anzali Wetland or Bandar Anzali Marsh with an area of about 20,000 hectares is located in the north of Iran, in Gilan province, near Anzali Bandar. The wetland is located in Anzali city. This wetland is one of the most important and largest natural habitats of Iran's animals. Anzali Wetland receives a large number of birds that come to Iran from neighboring northern countries every year. Due to its geographical location, this wetland cannot be compared with any other wetlands in Iran in terms of high humidity and water.

One of the most beautiful Wetlands Landscapes in Gilan is Anzali Lagoon. With an area of about 20,000 hectares in northern Iran, located in Gilan province. The Anzali Lagoon is considered to be one of the coolest and largest natural habitats of Iranian herbivores, and is home to a large number of birds coming to Iran from northern neighboring countries each year.

Anzali Lagoon has several islands.
Due to the fact that the lilies of Bandar Anzali lagoon are only in summer (from late June to late September), the best season is to visit the wetland and the city of Bandar Anzali, the summer season. The interesting thing about this wetland is that its flowers are known as the Niloofar flower, but in fact these flowers are the marshy lily of the valley.

The Sheikh Safi Al-Din Ardabili's Shrine is a revered complex and a World Heritage Site in Western Iran. It features an ancient 1345 mausoleum tower and dome adorned with calligraphy, including the endlessly repeated name of God. The area surrounding the complex is currently under excavation, while a walled garden provides a serene reading sanctuary. The shrine houses the tombs of various members of the Safavi family and also hosts the Ardabil archeology museum.
Greatly worth visiting place in Ardabil! Inside the complex, there are several places you can enjoy visiting, including the breathtaking Sheikh Safi-o-din shrine (his own grave plus the graves of his son, grandson, & King Ismail I) with precious architecture and art works besides Sheikh Safi-o-din Khanegah (a place for peace and pray, spiritual retreat and reformation), and moreover the fully informative museum of discovered remains of different historical periods which is located beside the shrine. You can buy and enjoy delicious "Halva-Siah" ("Black Halva", a kind of sweet paste made from wheat sprouts) which is one of the Ardabil souvenirs as you finish your visit!

I recently visited Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the city of Ardabil, Iran. The shrine is the tomb of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili, a Sufi saint who founded the Safavid order of Islam. The shrine complex is a vast and impressive complex, with a number of different buildings, including a mosque, a mausoleum, a library, and a museum.
The shrine is beautifully decorated with intricate tilework, calligraphy, and woodwork. The mausoleum is particularly impressive, with a soaring dome and a beautifully carved mihrab. The mosque is also worth visiting, with its delicate stained glass windows and its intricate prayer rugs.
The shrine complex is a peaceful and serene place, and it is a great place to learn about the history of Sufism and the Safavid dynasty. I highly recommend visiting Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili Shrine if you are ever in Ardabil, Iran.
Here are some additional details about my visit:
I visited the shrine in the morning, and it was not crowded at all. I was able to wander around the complex at my own pace and take in all the sights and sounds.
The staff at the shrine were very friendly and helpful. They were happy to answer my questions about the shrine and the Safavid dynasty.
I spent about two hours at the shrine, and I felt like I had enough time to see everything. However, if you are interested in learning more about the history of the shrine and the Safavid dynasty, you could easily spend more time there.
Overall, I had a great experience visiting Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili Shrine. It is a beautiful and historic place, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning more about Sufism or the Safavid dynasty.

An amazing place to visit in Ardebil including various parts of Sufi community called Khanghah. This complex also contains an elegant Chinese utensils museum gifted to the king of Iran by Chinese emperor of the time. Museum guides were absolutely 💯 professional and knowledgeable. If you have just 1 minute to visit Ardabil, you would spend it to visit this place. It is an historical place with a special architecture and landscape. There are some tombs of Safavi family there. Also Ardabil archeology museume is located here.

Sheikh Safi al-din Khaneghah and shrine ensemble was built as a small microcosmic city with bazaar, public bath, square, religious building, houses and offices. This wonderful ensemble is of outstanding universal value as an artistic and architectural masterpiece and an outstanding representation of the fundamental principles of Sufism.

I like it.
It's entrance fee is 55000 rials.
Go on time to visit all of it.
In addition there is two museums that mostly have old swords.
I went to Sarein and passed the Ardabil ring road, I googled this place and realized I have more 1 hour time till closing time, changed my trip plan, enter Ardabil and go toward shrine, unfortunately when I reach there time was around 19:00 , that was closed. Although the area around was beautiful at night and lot of souvenir shopping ,but I couldn't visit the Shrine.I think time table of working hour need to be edited and phone number of person responsible for information and reception should be added
What a gorgeous town lake with a tiny island!
A must-visit in Gilan province. The landmark of Lahijan.
Great for walking, running & cycling. Lots of cafés & shops (souvenirs) around the pool. A dazzling touristy spot in 4 seasons. Beautiful birds also come here (birdwatching)
On weekdays it's not so packed with people.

Lahijan is a city near the Caspian sea and the capital of Lahijan County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2016 census, its population was 167,544 in 58,378 families. Lahijan has both traditional and modern architecture.
Lahijan Natural and Large Pool with an area of 17 hectares and a depth of about 4 meters is located in the eastern part of Lahijan and at the bottom of the green and covered peak of Shamshad Mountain called Shitankuh, which in ancient times was called "Mountain Mountain", which flows through running water. They have been fed from the mountains and have in the past been a water reservoir for irrigating rice fields.
There is also a beautiful island in the middle of the pool, which used to be called "Between the ridges". The island is connected to the southern edge of the pool by a long concrete bridge.
The length of the margin of this pool is about 2 km and it is located next to the beautiful boulevard that surrounds the pool and is considered as one of the important sightseeing and entertainment centers of Lahijan.

Gobustan Mud Volcano
Volcano
Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Gobustan Mud Volcano is a bit remote, but accessible by car with caution or by hiring a local taxi. Visitors are encouraged to embrace the mud and its eruptions, which can result in unexpected showers. The area's windy conditions make capturing good audio challenging, but the lunar-like landscape provides ample photo opportunities. Whether driving with high ground clearance or relying on local transportation, this unique destination offers an unforgettable experience for adventurous travelers.
If you have car with high ground clearance car, you can go by yourself. Otherwise you need to hire a taxi from town with local drivers.

This is very small area but nice place to visit. Just few mints away from city. But you cannot spend more than 30 mints there. U need to change vehicle if you r going there with normal car. They increase their prices as they see tourist. Better book tour from your home country if u r taking tour bcs here it's depend on your tour guide if you get good one which is very rare.

Very beautiful and unique experience. Active mud volcanoes. Methane gas pushes out the mud from underneath the earth. There are small ones and then there is a big one (extra taxi charge) nearby, a must see. In the big mud volcano, people take a dive in summer and it is supposed to be good for the skin because of the natural minerals.
Also a large water pond that has methane gas bubbles is at a walking distance from the big mud volcano.
After a visit to the Gobustan museum, we went south on the highway to a nearby roundabout and our tour guide hired a taxi for 15 manat, then paid 10 manat extra for the big volcano.
The old Russian taxi took us off the road thru bumpy dirt road ride for about 20 minutes. Enjoy the beautiful landscape of the mountains and the roller coaster ride.
A very unique experience. Loved it.

These mud volcanoes south from Qobustan town are smaller than the ones to the north, but these are still bubbling. Their temperature is suprisingly cold. Accessible on a 10 km unpaved road from Qobustan, local drivers are waiting for tourists at the bus stops. The road itself is kind of an adventure.
Dániel Kuli — Google review
So this is a bit off the beaten track. You can easily drive here though. Most cars should be able to make it if you go slow. Trucks will have zero issues.
Otherwise park at the closest roundabout and hire a Soviet era taxi.
Once here prepare to get a bit dirty. You are going to want to touch the mud and your kids are definitely going to touch the mud.
If you are like us and you get up close you will end up with a mud shower from an eruption if you aren't careful.
It's very windy so good audio on video is hard to shoot. Pictures are plentiful and the landscape looks lunar in nature.
Enjoy the visit!

This is place with natural phenomenon, gas pushes clayey soil out giving a feel of a volcano spewing lava. The ones i have visited were small and there were no facilities for tourist of any sorts. Its just like in the middle of a desert. The clay is cool to touch but our guide did mention that it is radioactive although at a small scale. If you are curious of mud volcanoes this is a good place to visit.

It is hard to find because there are no signs, but if you look at Google satellite view, you can see the dirt road of off the Western side of Alat. It is inaccessible when it is rainy, and it's quite a hike up a mountain if a car won't take you. However, you are rewarded with a very unique place!
The Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape is an archaeological site in Azerbaijan that contains both natural and manmade caves. More than 6,000 ancient rock engravings can be found here, many of which are still intact today. This site has been recognized as a UNESCO-listed Heritage Site. Additionally, the area features the largest mud volcanoes in the world, created by geo-exuded mud.
This UNESCO heritage site is a quiet, peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. There's a museum with historical information and then the outdoor sites themselves.
Worth a visit!

Beautiful drawings & well preserved . Under UNESCO heritage. Nice place to understand the earliest inhabitants of the place 1000s of years earlier. There are petroglyphs from human civilizations carved into the rock here from over 40,000 years ago BC (or so archeologists conjecture). You can see more recent carvings as well. There is a lot of history between 40,000 years ago and the present, and this park (along with a guide - which I suggest) shows and explains what the carvings mean and how to tell what time period they are from based on what they depict, their size, etc... This was one of the highlights of our trip! We haven't seen carvings even HALF this age anywhere else and we travel often! Been to over 100 countries and counting. This was impressive!
