The temple is still shady and nice to sit and relax as usual. It's very good. There is an ancient sim that was built in 1832, which is even older than Khon Kaen. It is considered to be a temple that has one of the oldest historical sites in the Isan region. Recommended for anyone who wants to visit ancient sites. This temple is considered very important and cannot be missed.

Andrea Musolino — Google review
It is worth a visit. it's about 45km from Khon Kean. It's a small ruin, so you can walk around it in half an hour or spend 2 hours just taking in the tranquil beauty of the buildings.
Prasat Puei Noi or “Phra That Ku Thong” is the largest historical site in the region. In the Khon Kean Province, it is more than 800 years old. It is assumed that it was built between the 11th and 12th centuries. Combining the Khmer arts of Bapuan and Angkor Wat. To be used as a place of worship for performing rituals.
According to Hindu (Brahmin) beliefs, the plan is Mount Meru. which is considered the axis of the universe, which is the dwelling place of the gods called "Sasana Banphot," in front of which the main prang's crypt is carved.
It is a Nagarat shape with a beautiful pattern. The lintel is carved with the image of Narayana Banthomsin. which is still in good viewing condition, complete there is also the Kachalakshmi lintel considered that this is the only place that faces west, (all other buildings face east) and the door is closed. This is different from the general religious place in front of the gopura, and there is a door to pass through for good fortune.
There is no entrance fee, and there was no one else viewing.
Mark Eliot — Google review
It is not a huge complex, indeed beautiful. For the distance it's located I would have planned detour as 4pm there is no one here. If you have many days for vacation this is ok due to distance. Nice building and surrounding.

Very small Khmer site but I have been there half day and nowbody else. It's a bit off the scene but if you are looking for a quiet place it's a visit worth. For me it was perfect and I could feel the mystic aura there without any distourbance
Martin Spring — Google review
There is no cost to enter. It is in the middle of a grass field next to a pond. Very tranquil location there was a mother and her young boys who left shortly after we arrived so we had the place to ourselves. Very glad we made the effort to get here. We caught the train from Khon Kaen to Ban Phai and there engaged a private driver to take us to the ruins wait and then drive us back for 1000 TBH.

Ancient ruins. No entrance fee, no tourists, you basically have the whole place to yourself and pose for photos til your heart content. 1h15min drive from khon kaen city.

Interesting to see a 350 year old tree that’s said to be the largest in Thailand, with the single tree’s multiple trunks supporting a canopy that covers a few acres.
Only worth stopping by when visiting the temple buildings in the historic centre of Phimae.

A place there is full of banyan trees. Although not far away from town, it is not convenient to get to. Local people pray at the goodness of banyan tree for good fortune and prosperity. Nice place to walk around if you like the nature of banyan trees
Yee Lee — Google review
The huge holy sacred banyan tree with incredible scene under the its shade. Shady and feeling cool. There are many shrines inside this place. A little market at the entrance. But overall environment is not good at all. There are many garbages, polluted pond and weird bad smell. A lot of free parking lot.
Ruby Lib — Google review
350 year old banyan tree not fast from the historical park. If you have a spare hour or 2 in Phimai it’s worth a visit but wouldn’t go out of the way to come here. It’s very cool and peaceful. Lots of picnic tables and chairs to sit under the tree and relax. There are also a few vendors selling food, souvenirs and fish to release into the water.
The Phimai Historical Park is a rectangular temple complex filled with intricate carvings and stone sculptures. It is an impressive Khmer ruin located in Thailand, known for its grand scale and detailed designs. Built as a Mahayana Buddhist temple, it features carvings of Hindu deities and design elements similar to those found in Angkor Wat.
This place was stunning!
I remain amazed - after visiting ancient ruins in other countries - how much of this complex was accessible to the public. There’s not really anything off limits, and only the normal rules binding visitors to decency in a holy site.
The structures are all incredible, and the details truly ornate. Plan at least a couple of hours to wander and soak it all in.
There is a higher density of visitors here than some of the other sites we’ve visited, but for good reason.
It’s an amazing feat of human engineering, and something worth witnessing first-hand.

The wonderful Khmer cultural sanctuary. The largest ancient Khmer temple in Thailand. It was taken care of very well. The inside has beautiful scenery, clean and a lot of photography corners. I really enjoyed my visit to Phimai Historical Park. The temple is a beautiful example of Khmer architecture and the carvings are simply stunning. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the park and the Khmer people.
I would recommend Phimai Historical Park to anyone interested in history, culture, or architecture. It is a truly impressive site that is well worth a visit.
Specific comments about your suggestions:
The parking is very limited. I would recommend parking at the main entrance and walking to the temple. The walk is about 10 minutes and is a great way to get a feel for the park.

This is a good, quick little stop if you’re on your way to Phimai Historical Park.
It is not staffed, and there’s no clear directions for what to do or where to go. As such, I think we may have missed some of the exhibits.
What we did see gave us a good education on ancient burial practices.
For a free visit, it was worth stopping in. Just don’t make it your main destination.
Charlie Morse — Google review
Only worth a stop if you are passing on the way to or from Phimae. It’s only 5 minutes from the main road and you’ll spend no more than 5 minutes in the “museum” then a short walk to the archeological dig for another 5 minutes there.
Andrew Rixom — Google review
Turned down the road when we saw the sign, had not planned on going here. Was fun, signs were in Thai and English. A young man appointed himself our tour guide and he only spoke Thai--usually too fast for us to follow. But he was nice. There are two covered pits with skeletal remains. If there was an official info desk or center, I did not see it.
The village itself was small, and during our visit, all the locals were spreading out rice to dry. The souvenir had some Thai crafts at low prices.

Prasat Hin Phanom Wan is a Khmer sanctuary that dates back to the 15th Buddhist century and was later renovated in the 18th and 19th centuries. The ruins feature pagodas, a Buddha statue, and remnants of a moat. The temple is well-preserved and maintained with minimal visitors. It serves as an excellent example of ancient Khmer stone architecture without modern technology or machinery.
An excellent Ancient Khmer stone temple site with very few visitors.

This is a beautiful complex and I highly recommend the visit.
It’s amazing learning about all of the different periods in which this compound was utilized, as well as how.
It is peaceful and quiet, quite serene.
Every part of the temple complex is accessible, which made for some great exploration, and it’s really just a beautiful place to be.

Phanom Wan is a small and beautiful old temple. The grounds are extremely well maintained and you can clearly see that a lot of effort is put into the upkeep of the temple. Admission is not free, but in my opinion it is well worth it. I would include the site in my itinerary again at any time.

Quiet and not crowded with visitors, had a good amount of time with the ruins to myself before others trickled in, but still left plenty of space to myself.

From the old bus terminal in Nakhon Ratchasima, you can take a songthaew to a nearby village (15 baht). It was information that it was a motorbike taxi from there, but I walked because there was no waiting. It was 17 minutes on the straight road. It was not hot on the day, and the weather was not sweaty, so I had plenty of time.
There seems to be an entrance fee of 50 baht, but for some reason it is free. Some kind of anniversary!? Well, I'm lucky.
It seems to be an archaeological site of the same period as the Phimai archaeological site. The area appears to have been important to the Khmer Empire. The building has been restored and you can go inside. However, many of the decorations, such as lintel stones, are preserved in the Phimai Museum. There are some things left, but I feel unsatisfactory. The scenery from the back is beautiful.

An impressed ancient religious place was built up about 15th-17th Buddhist century (around 800-1000 years ago). The tipical points of focussing on it are not only the assembling from a huge number of regional stones brought from around 100 kms. away sources, but also the founding of the evidents that shown transforming from Khom culture which followed to Hindu values to be Buddhist faithful culture in the following period. These shown the influences of Khom in this vast regional area before the in coming of Buddhist culture which was fundamentally established firmly and stands still until nowaday. The Prasat (Castle in English, which does not represent directly to the suitable meaning in foreign word), itself, indeed, closes to the meaning of the word:Temple, was the place for King or hi-ranking peoples in those age to do respectation to the Prophet in those era. You will be appreciated with those impressive physical scenes after visiting the hall of information(recommended) that will make you understand deeply in its historic story from the in-place explainer there. The Prasat is along the main highway and seperates to local road in short distance and situates in the mid of villeageous area. You should prepare for walking around in those ruins about 2 hrs., with your cap or umbrella that will help you a lot to meet the appreciation of old Khom/Buddisht temple.

The place is beautiful, not a lot of tourists so there are no guides or shops. Just a peaceful place with ancient structures.
Klang Villa, a compact shopping center with an appealing layout and moderate foot traffic, offers a pleasant shopping experience. The supermarket and bookstore are of good quality, providing various options for customers. Additionally, the Messo cafe on the ground level is an ideal spot for studying or working.
A small mall, well designed and not too crowded. There are quite nice supermarket and stationery/book store. It is also a good place for studying or working inside the Messo cafe on the first floor.

THIS IS A SMALL SHOPPING CENTER THAT HAS A SMALL KLANG MARKET THAT HAS MOST OF WHAT YOU NEED ON A DAILY BASIS. THERE ARE A FEW PEOPLE IN MANAGEMENT THAT SPEAK SOME ENGLISH AND TRY TO MAKE YOU FEEL WELCOMED. IN THE MARKET AREA THEY HAVE A COFFEE SHOP THAT MAKES A GREAT MOCHA FRAPPE. THERE IS ALSO A BOOK STORE THAT EXTENDS TO THE SECOND FLOOR.
ON THE SECOND FLOOR YOU WILL ALSO FIND SOME SMALLER SHOPS ONE OF THESE SELLS MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND HAVE A GREAT SELECTION. OTHERS SELL LOCALLY PRODUCED MERCHANDISE. THERE ARE ALSO QUITE A FEW FOOD STALLS. THERE IS ALSO A VERY NICE RESTAURANT THAT SERVES AN ARRAY OF PORK, CHICKEN, AND BEEF DISHES. I HAVE EATEN HERE MANY TIMES AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
IN THE SAME SHOPPING CENTER THERE IS A KFC, AN ICE CREAM STORE AND A VERY WONDERFUL ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET RESTAURANT. THE MANAGER OF THE BUFFET SPEAKS SOME ENGLISH AND IS MORE THAN WILLING TO HELP WITH YOUR FOOD SELECTIONS. SOME OF THE THAI FOOD CAN BE A LITTLE CHALLENGING AT TIMES AND YOU MAY BE A LITTLE INTIMIDATED BY WHAT THEY ARE AND SHE WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND EXACTLY WHAT IT IS THAT YOU ARE GOING TO CONSUME.
THE REALLY NICE THING ABOUT THIS SHOPPING CENTER IS THAT IT'S JUST DOWN THE STREET FROM WHERE I LIVE SO IT'S VERY CONVENIENT FOR ME.
THE DATE IS 22 JANUARY 2019 AND I WISH TO ADDRESS SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED TO ME AT THE KLANG MARKET EARLIER TODAY. I VISIT THIS MARKET ALMOST ON A DAILY BASIS. LIKE I SAID, THEY HAVE MOST OF WHAT I NEED. I PROBABLY SPEND BETWEEN 15,000 AND 20,000 BAHT HERE EACH MONTH. YES, SOME THINGS ARE A LITTLE HIGHER THAN I CAN GET AT BIG C OR THE LOTUS MARKETS OR EVEN 7-11. LIKE I SAY, IT'S CONVENIENT FOR ME.
LAST NIGHT I OPENED A LEO BEER THAT I HAD PURCHASED FROM KLANG MARKET THAT DAY AND PART OF THE LIP OF THE BOTTLE CRACKED AND FELL INTO THE BOTTLE. SO TODAY I WALKED DOWN TO THE MARKET AND ASKED TO DO AN EXCHANGE. I WAS TOLD BY ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE GREETED ME WITH A SMILE EVERY TIME I COME IN THAT THEY COULDN'T DO THAT. I ASKED TO SEE THE MANAGER AND SHE TOLD ME THE SAME THING. SHE WENT ON ABOUT THE WAY THEY PURCHASE IT BUT I COULDN'T REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT.
I ASKED HER IF A 55 BAHT BOTTLE OF BEER WAS THAT IMPORTANT THAT SHE WOULD LOSE MY BUSINESS. I THOUGHT ABOUT SMASHING THE BOTTLE ON THE FLOOR BUT I FIGURED I WOULD END UP BREAKING THE TILE AND THAT WOULDN'T BE RIGHT SO AS I WENT OUT THE FRONT DOOR I TURNED THE BOTTLE UPSIDE DOWN AND DUMPED ALL THE BEER IN THE DOORWAY AND ON THE GLASS SLIDING DOOR. I SHOULD HAVE DONE IT IN FRONT OF THE COUNTER WHERE THE MANAGER WAS. IT WOULD HAVE MADE MORE OF A STATEMENT.
I WILL NOT ONLY NOT BE GOING BACK TO THIS STORE BUT ALL OF THE KLANG STORES IN THAILAND. THEY HAVE LOST MY BUSINESS FOREVER. AND YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK.

Wat Sala Loi is a tranquil and serene Buddhist temple that boasts an impressive white Buddha sculpture, a boat-shaped hall, and a mesmerizing waterfall. Visitors can pray for the well-being of their loved ones to the revered Khun Ya Mo, who is deeply ingrained in Korat people's beliefs as a heroic figure and exemplary mother who loved her family and community. This great place allows people to make merit in accordance with Buddhist teachings while immersing themselves in the peaceful surroundings.

Wat Phayap is a contemporary temple that pleasantly surprises visitors with its unassuming exterior. A chamber within the temple has been meticulously transformed into a cave-like space, creating an awe-inspiring effect. The construction company responsible for the temple's creation stumbled upon an actual cave during foundation work and sought guidance from their spiritual advisors to incorporate it into the temple. Consequently, the Cave Temple was born, offering a unique and compelling experience for those who visit.
I like it, it's a nice place to visit in Korat

The story goes that a construction company was digging away on a building foundation when it came across a cave. They spoke with their spiritual advisors at the monastery who told them to move the cave into the temple. Hence we have the Cave Temple. Unique and worth a visit. Wat Phayap is located in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat City). It is a very interesting place with a cave temple. It was named Parat Cha Wemonmoree to honor the monk who was its head and originator. The hall is decorated with calcite and limestone crystals, and the roof and walls are made of polished granite. The effect is impressive and it looks great.
Harborland Terminal 21 Korat has won the hearts of many visitors, including families and kids. The mall is known for its cleanliness and overall perfection, making it a favorite spot for an evening visit. Visitors appreciate the modern ambiance and reasonable prices, especially for food compared to other locations like Chiang Mai. Additionally, the unique "prison" style toilet adds an interesting touch to the experience at this flashy mall.
Nice shopping mall with cinema and activities for children

Please note that many of the good reviews refer to the mall, not the Harbor Land. The price is extremely high for a Thai attraction. We got in a bit cheaper as we entered past 18 p.m. Still, you have to buy no slip socks. You cannot bring your own as they all need to look the same. The children get a bracelet with a color (apparently according to their size). What I did not know at that time: Children are only allowed to use slides and so on according to the color of their bracelet. And most of the stations cannot be used by younger children. Our 4 year old could not use most of the slides!! As I asked to measure again they confirmed less than 100cm (two doctors measured 101cm within less than a month from visiting harbor land). There is a lot of staff, but almost no one speaks English. The staff is very friendly. Would never go there again - particularly at this price point.

I felt like I’ve been ripped off!!!! On top of high entrance fees they made us buy their socks although i brought my own anti slip socks for kids and on top of that , despite of me saying that I will be sitting at the waiting area they made me buy the socks as well which made me really angry! I didn’t have a choice as I promised kids to take them there otherwise I would happily just walked away !!! Also - why charge the parents if we don’t use playing facilities???!!! We go there and we spend our money on buying drinks and snacks from their coffee shops!!!!!! Just disgusting!!! The day was spoiled for me! I won’t be bringing my kids there again!!!!
