Lidice Memorial
Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Historic Sites
A museum, rose garden & bronze statues honoring a namesake village destroyed in 1942.
If you love Prague, you should visit the Lidice Memorial, at least once in your life. It’s the tragic history of revenge, of the Nazi’s, after the assassination of Heidrich, in Prague. The Nazi’s decided to completely erase the village of the two brave Czech troupers. Men were killed, women deported, and the children were first deported and then killed. And the then the village was erased, asif it never had existed.

The history of this place feels me sad. I recommend you visit it yourself and find out why 😉. Overall, Great views to walk with family and children. Don't forget to bring water as your kids would ask for it along the way coz it's a vast piece of land to walk.
Travel Pa More! — Google review
A very sad place. I have been here many times to pay respect. Lidice was destroyed by the Nazi’s during WWII after Reinhard Heydrich was killed (died from his wounds related to assassination attempt on his life in Prague). The Children of Lidice statue and memorial is one of the most powerful and sad statues in the world that I have come across. To think humans can kill children is just beyond words.
Michael Mack — Google review
Having briefly heard about the story of Lidice in an audiobook, I decided to take a morning solo trip out of Prague to check out the museum and memorial. I am so glad that I did. The museum is small, but very informative and powerful. Then taking a walk around the peaceful gardens and beautifully put together memorial, is incredibly moving. You can't help but connect with the little village that once existed there. More people should be aware of this story and visit this memorial. Not an easy morning learning about it, but very worthwhile.
Scott Fotheringham — Google review
Beautiful place with dramatic story. Indeed, the place of tragedy and the place of hope. And also it's a real kingdom of roses.
The Museum of Lidice is worthy to visit. To delve into the story of those innocent ones who were found guilty.
Besides, its a peaceful place with lake and vibe of silence.
Tetiana Yermolenko — Google review
A beautiful memorial.
Its a lovely tranquil place and the silence and what appears absence of the wildlife here, enhances the emotions that are felt.
My son left a teddy at the child's memorial, and there are candles and lanterns.
We didn't visit the museums but walked the friendship and peace gardens and through to the children of war memorial.
Dogs are welcome kept on a lead and there are plenty of bins but bring bags to keep the place clean.
Regards Shon — Google review
Lovely, peaceful memorial for this heartbreaking part of Czech history.
Diane Huebner — Google review
Intense experience but absolutely worthwhile to make a visit. The memorial does honor to the horror that occurred here. The memorial is peaceful and expansive due to the large open space and walking trail that leads you through the grounds. Be prepared for some emotions.
Luke Gulbrand — Google review
A calm a peaceful park on the site of the original village. A historical "trail" allows you to imagine the atrocity that occurred here.
Nicky Vatter — Google review
This shouldn’t be forgotten. This place is okay to visit to all age groups. The staff here is incredibly nice and kind and they really like to help. Most of them are children of mothers who returned from concentration camps. Also the set is here is great.. the toilets were clean and cafeteria offered normal prices. Thanks to all the staff who took care of us the whole day. I recommend this place to visit. Absolutely worth it.
We went here for a teambuilding with 20+ people for Fort Boyard. I knew this activity since childhood times (popular tv show). I was little bit worried if it will be worth it, but I can DEFENITLY RECCOMEND it for everyone (best teambuilding so far). Staff, premises, activities and bus driver which we have ordered were extremely nice and helpful. Thanks a lot, will come again for sure :)

Great experience, many challenging rooms, and each requiring little different set of skills. We had a lot of fun during competing the other teams. It was worth the travel to the quite detached location. Only issue was that we didn't fully understood the rules before the game and had to repeat the first room several times before understanding how to correctly initiate the game and how to finish. So learn all before not to loose time as the game is paid by play time. Recommended.

Heaps of fun, everyone enjoys. Highly recommended to visit!

Perfect for fun activities but needs to improve on the accommodation side. Overall a quite nice experience for us, over 1 night stay.
Ciprian Radu — Google review
Terrible experience.
Went there with my family and most of the rooms were unbearable to stay in cause of the smell. Many things were broken or just not functional. Very expensive for a bad maintained attraction.
Ema Kozáková — Google review
Practically nothing was done properly. Some of the challenges where not properly maintained - red floor did not trigger the alarm, hitting the hole with the ball many times did not register it, you could unknowingly skip a checkpoint, successfully reach the end... but the system registered it as a failure. Some of the staff behaved like it was forced to be there. Food tasted funny, Birrel also tasted funny, had no foam (probably old). Could be a great place if someone cared.
Daniel Zeman — Google review
Great place for a group activity or day trip from Prague. The whole venue is well organised and decorated. You can easily spend 4 hours here which makes it excellent value for money. The rooms are varied and challenging so there is something for all abilities and ages. There is also a small self-service cafe with cheap drinks and snacks.
Tam N — Google review
This is good corporate fun. A bit shabby. Poor English.
Jakub Mareček — Google review
-1 star because of insufficient ventilation - after about 3-4 hours of playing, some of the rooms were almost unbearable to stay in due to bad smell.
The earlier you start in the day the less of a problem this is.
Jiří Štros (이리카) — Google review
Awesome experience of fun, team bonding, competition. We were 3 great friends and emerged victorious with one of the best game score, as even greater friends, we went all in with our skills and engagement.
The environment is awesome, huge and beautiful, the chambers are well balanced with skill areas such as patience, dexterity, power/Stamina and intelligence. Even though we would appreciate more endurance type of rooms, with moving obstacles etc., there was only one. But we probably had expectations because of Ninja Factor and the Boyard TV show.
I understand that this was constructed for wider public, so all could make it if they tried hard enough, not just for top physically skilled people, its not a TV show with many attendees and big prize.
Our team was also not fully satisfied with the higher price, either there could be +5 more rooms or so (now being 25 total) or lesser price. This way we were pushed to rush in order not to pay much, coz you pay for the time played. Otherwise we would slow down a bit more and had a feedback, celebration after each round.
All in all, great experience, totally worth it. Made our day!
Karlštejn Castle is a beautiful Gothic castle in the countryside southwest of Prague. It is home to many royal treasures, including paintings and portraits of the emperor and his family. There are regular tours available, which are recommended if you want to see this magnificent building up close.
Excellent bathrooms and cafe up at the castle. Also were street vendors in the courtyard serving food and beer. Not a bad wake in that environment at all! Great view of the city or rather town below. The tour of the castle itself was engaging and interesting. Just about the right length of time.
James VanderWier — Google review
We went to see the castle as we had some spare time in Prague. It was nice to see the land outside the capital. Very very green.
The castle is nothing special. There are tours in English but you have to pay different tickets if you want to visit the whole castle.
Robert Reds (UltraVires) — Google review
It is better to choose another castle to visit, in Czech there are plenty from what to chose and for sure much more beautiful then this one. One important thing. There are 3 different types of tours. If you decide to go there, my recomendation is to take the Chapel tour

Hello everyone, I would like to share the happiness and beauty that I have visited. I would like to recommend everyone to try visiting. Everything is beautiful and very impressive. If there is a chance, I will go back there again. It is a great place. A place where you should take your family or couples to relax and take lots of pictures. I hope everyone can happily see the pictures I have shared. I have fallen in love with this place:) And you!!??
อุดม จันทร์พินิจ — Google review
Located about 30 kilometers southwest of Prague, Karlštejn Castle started life in 1348 and has since risen in the ranks to one of the best castles in the Czech Republic.
Karlštejn Castle was founded by the Charles IV, King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor as his private residence and a place of safekeeping royal treasures, especially his collections of holy relics and the Imperial Crown Jewels. In 1355 Charles IV stayed here for the first time, overseeing the construction and decoration work, especially in chapels. The construction was completed in 1365 when the Chapel of the Holy Cross in the Great Tower was consecrated.
The Chapel of the Holy Cross was the place of safekeeping the imperial crown jewels until 1420 when the Hussite wars (religious civil war) began, and they had not ever returned to Karlštejn Castle. After the wars in 1436, the Bohemian crown jewels were taken to the Chapel of the Holy Cross where they remained till 1619.
The castle was a representative residence of Charles IV and his son Wenceslas IV only, i.e. till 1419. As a fortress, Karlštejn Castle protected the crown jewels, holy relics, and royal archives till the 17th century.
After 1480 the castle was rebuilt in the late Gothic style, in the last quarter of the 16th century in the Renaissance style. During the last reconstruction that took place at the end of the 19th century (by architect Josef Mocker) in the spirit of purism, the castle gained its present appearance.
The preserved original stair-arrangement of individual castle buildings is very impressive. The lower section with a small courtyard by the Well Tower and the Burgrave´s House continue through the majestic five-storey Imperial Palace and the Marian Tower. At the highest point, the construction of the castle culminates in a monumental, 60-meter-high Great Tower and its massive fortifications.
An unique original 14th-century wall decoration, a set of 129 paintings created by Master Theodoric in the Chapel of the Holy Cross (the largest in the world), the largest portrait gallery of kings of Bohemia in the Czech Republic, a replica of the royal Crown of Bohemia, a unique castle well. The castle is also famous as a set to a comedy play Night at Karlštejn Castle by Czech poet Jaroslav Vrchlický.
After centuries of lying in near ruin, much needed restorative work has restored the Gothic castle to all its former glory, making it an immensely popular destination. The bustling tourist crowds are a stark contrast to the peaceful surrounding countryside which offers views of Karlstejn’s stunning exterior.
From November, 01st, 2021 to March, 31st, 2022 the castle is closed to the public, including the garden.

Great day trip just 30 minute train ride from Prague. The mandatory guided tours are informative and full of neat information. During winter months, the main part is closed off for preservation, so best to visit after May. We still enjoyed our time at the castle and in town, despite not being able to see everything.
Kelly Fortner — Google review
Beautiful bohemian castle not far outside of Prague. My guide said many consider it to be the most beautiful in the whole country. However, I visited in April and a portion of the castle (including the chapel) was closed to the public. Also, the village that the castle is located in is seasonal, as there were no stores or restaurants open in the town on a Tuesday afternoon! I would recommend visiting between May-October.

Such a beautiful stop, this could be a quick adventure throughout your visit , it literally takes less than an hour to get here from the main train station and like 20 min walk from the train stop to the castle , the tours are 300 czk for the most basic one , and there are a lot of shops and restaurants that are along the way.

Very nice historic castle. Book a guide it helps understand the historic context. Try to visit weekdays because it is very crowded on weekends.
Zdravko Ruzicic — Google review
Impressive views, of and from the castle.
It's a nice good really up the hill, through the small village at the foot of the castle.
Many pitstop temptations before getting to the castle itself, I suggest considering a restaurant stop when coming back from the castle.
The tours are organized in Czech and in English.
Although there was a partial reconstruction in the courtyard that didn't impact the overall feeling of the place, its history and beauty.
Florin Hercal — Google review
Karlstejn Castle may not have a lot of history to back it up, considering it was constructed in less than 10 years and served as a storage for crowns and jewels rather than an official residence, but it's worth a day trip from Prague. If you don't drive a car, I recommend taking a one-way cab (Uber / Bolt) from Prague to the castle, after which you would only need to walk up to 5 minutes to the entrance where the tours begin. It's convenient and saves you the uphill climb. While going back, there are of course no cabs available so you'd need to take the train. The train station is a 30 minute walk from the entrance of the castle, right on the other side of the river, and the train itself takes only 45 minutes to get you to the Prague city center. It's quite convenient.
Second, I also recommend buying tour tickets in advance on their website, after which you only need to wait at the meeting point and do not have to queue up for tickets (note that you cannot enter the castle without a guided tour.) There are three types of tours available - I booked number 3 (View from the Great Tower), which is a short, 30 minute guided walk up to the fourth floor of the tour, and then you get 15 minutes to take pictures from the tower. Note that the tower is an enclosed space and the pictures are taken through windows, so you cannot take a picture of yourself with the castle from up the tower. This tour involved climbing some stairs but it wasn't too much.
There are also some areas you can explore on your own after the tour ends - the Clock Tower and the Well Tower are notable ones. I highly recommend the Well Tower, another 2 minute walk from the entrance, which has splendid views of the entire castle and is the best point to take a picture of yourself with the castle background! The well itself is also quite deep, and I also recommend a small souvenir shop by it, really cute hangings, bells, and fridge magnets available there.
The first few pictures I've added are from the Great Tower guided tour, and the last one is from the Well Tower. :)

Kristyna was our guide and she was absolutely delightful. We went on the Czech Tour (for time's sake) and she figured out pretty quickly that we didn't understand Czech, so when we stopped at different spots on the tour she would then speak English for us.
We were very appreciative especially since we knew she didn't have to do that.
Wonderful castle. Bring Czech crowns though. Most things in the little town on the way only take cash.
Wes Campbell — Google review
Beautiful castle and the village. We went by train from Prague main train station. It's cost us £18 up and down. Spend only few hours. Wish could go earlier. But managed to have a tour inside the castle last one.
Sabina Mostafa — Google review
There's nothing to see inside the castle!!! Total disappointment. The castle is just beautiful from the outside.... The excursion is about 30 minutes or so. I couldn't believe that people pay money for that. It is forbidden to take pictures inside but actually there's nothing to photograph :( It is much more exciting to go around the castle and take pictures and read the history in Wikipedia.

It is a place where we can get a train from Prague Smichov Station in less than an hour..
For the museum entry, I would recommend buying at the counter if you are not on a tight schedule because they offer a guided tour only.

There's a train station 20mins walk away that's connected to Prague (ticket costs around 3-4€ one-way). Multiple stores that sell Czech drinks and food, restaurants with Czech food are open nearby. There are guided tours in Czech and English that I recommend taking. They cost 260 CZK. Beautiful scenery all around, nice photo spots, interesting castle history. Worthwhile visit, perfect for a one-day get-away from Prague
Stefan Popov — Google review
Excellent guide in English. It’s just a shame the visit is divided into three separate tours you can’t book at the same time as you miss out on a lot of rooms.
I recommend you plan your visit ahead and try to book all three back to back.
The grounds are breathtaking and so is the view. It’s real easy to reach the castle via train from Prague (40min ride - a train every half hour + 15min walk).
Don’t miss out on the video in the movie room, by the toilet under the main courtyard. It gives a nice picture of how the castle came to be.
Mr Paps (Paps) — Google review
we had a bad and stressful experience. We visted the castle at 8. March at 3pm. the lady who led the Czech tour didn't let us join the English group even though we don't understand a word of Czech. of course, she didn't even try to speak to us in English or explain herself, so we stood for over 20 minutes like complete idiots and listened to something we didn't understand at all. after the friendly guide from the English group agreed to let us join her group, the person in question still insisted that we must stay in her group. she was terribly unpleasant and unkind and annoying. it is completely unclear to me why and what is the point of it, but the experience we had was very miserable. another thing is that until 1.may. over half of the castle is closed. including the most important part that remained closed to visitors when we were there. the ticket price was not adjusted for that, but we paid the full price as if we had seen everything, which I personally think is wrong. I wouldn't go back again

We went here to visit the castle with a tour guide. Make sure you're on time because they are really on time to start the tour. We were 5 min too late because of traffic and the group already left. It's a fun place to visit and really great to see how the people lived in the early days.
Make sure to buy tickets in advance and yes they really do check your tickets when you enter.

Absolutely GORGEOUS CASTLE! There are several tours for visiting different parts of the castle, tours are available in both Czech and English. Drinks and snacks are available there in the castle. You cannot do self guiding tours, which I don't blame them for, and it's quite nice! It's a good hard hike up the hill, I believe I saw rides available for purchase for those who can't physically make the climb

An iconic czech castle. We visited during late winter and had an amazing castle tour.

An amazing place to visit when you want a break from the crowds in Prague. An easy drive or train ride and up hill walk from the city - this medieval castle does not disappoint. Definitely worth the cost of the exclusive tour - I did not expect to see such amazing art and history up close. You are not allowed to take photos inside the castle but I will remember it for a long time. All this set next to a charming village and lovely countryside. Well worth the day trip.

An amazing castle just 1 hour from Prague. Photos just do this place justice. Def worth a visit.
Křivoklát Castle, a 12th-century hunting lodge nestled in a dense forest, has a fascinating history as a royal residence and even a prison. The castle was rebuilt in the 19th century and now features a chapel, dungeon, and museum showcasing sleighs. A tour of the castle includes highlights such as the impressive library with over 52,000 books, the Royal Hall, and Gothic chapel.
Visited during Easter. 2nd visit already. Recommended but be aware if with small children no place for strollers bring baby carrier

Suggesting to buy tickets online, because if the weather is good and during the weekend there might be a lot of people and exhibition tours has a limit, so might be sold out. Unfortunately the tours are only in czech language, but still it's nice to see the castle from inside. Double check via phone maybe they can organize it in English if you inform in advance.

Definitely worth visiting .
The stuff is really nice and even if you don't speak Czech, there is a written guide available in nearly every language. In our case two really nice guide explains us everything in English, even the tour was only available in Czech!! Thanks a lot for this wonderful experience 💕
The castle itself is in a very good condition and contains also a big library of the former owner. Also the Chapel is very nice 👌
Go there, be nice and the guides will show you everything!

A beautiful medieval castle perched on a hill surrounded by forest. Great views from the tower(s). Only a few foreign tourists, less crowded than other famous castles. We had a fun day trip from Prague by a retro train.
Renaissance-era castle with its origins in the 12th century, with dining in medieval-themed tavern.
Great castle Hotel about an hour outside Prague. Excellent food and drink. Nice cosy spa and great views across the countryside

It was a majestic place with lots of history, beautiful views and great audio guides.
Eldar Bakerman — Google review
Access is only available on a tour. All tours are in Czech with with audio guides included in the price of 195 Kc.
The English audio guide was a very abbreviated version of the actual descriptions of the guide and in places it was not accurate.
Our group comprised one couple who spoke Czech and us. The guide at times spoke for 5 minutes after the audio guide finished and he made no effort to include us in the tour. He seemed to be a humourless soul but to be fair he did the 11.00, 12.00 and 13.00 tours back to back with no break between tours.
What is on display is ok, unfortunately the inadequacy of the audio guide means I can not recommend this tour.

The castle is great, you can feed deers there and look at beautiful peacocks. I liked it but I expected the territory to be bigger. I would suggest you to visit on weekday so deers won't be as fed and you can get more of their attention.

Beautiful . There are 2 yours available. These tours are given in Czech but they do have printed booklets that go along with the tour in English German Russian and i think French. I loved it especially because this is where one of my favorite movies was partly filmed, Šíleně Smutná Princezna. You can enter the Castle gardens separately which costs 30 KČ per person. Beautiful 300+ year old trees. Lots of beautiful peacocks and you can pay to feed deer.

Fantastic place to walk and visit on weekends. The park is huge and walking relaxes you and you see the deer pass by your side. You can offer them special food (carrot) that you take there. Going around with the lamas is a great experience. I had a wonderful time visiting Blatna Castle and its deer park. The castle is a hidden gem, with a beautiful exterior and interesting history. The guided tour inside the castle was informative and engaging, giving a great insight into the life of nobility in the past. The deer park is a peaceful and serene oasis, with well-maintained pathways and plenty of deer roaming freely. It was a joy to observe the deer up close, and feeding them was an unforgettable experience. The castle grounds are picturesque and offer many opportunities for stunning photos. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Blatna Castle and deer park for its beauty, tranquility, and historical significance

A bit park with an area to feed some deers. They are way over fed and don’t really like to be touched. Nice to bring kids if it’s not too far from you. Not packed with tourists as it’s basically in the middle of nowhere. Bring cut apples, they like it. Carrots much less

Great for a visit with kids! The castle park is very big and good for walks. There are also many deer in it that can be fed by hand. At the time of our visit there was also a nice Lego exhibition inside the castle. I recommend Blatna for a visit.
When visiting Pilsen, the Old Pilsner Urquell Brewery water Tower is a must-see attraction for beer enthusiasts. The brewery, in operation since 1842, offers guided tours that take visitors through the history of Pilsner Beer production. Tour highlights include a visit to the old cellars and a taste of unpasteurized beer at the end.

With more than 1h30m of explanations about the construction of the factory and the beginning of the production of pilsner beer
It was worth every penny
Tasting a glass of unpasteurized beer that will serve as the basis for large-scale production
I recommend the store at the end of the tour for unforgettable souvenirs and also to taste the beers ready for consumption

You will also visit the old part of the new one.
And the best is the underground which is really big.
And at the end, of course, a tasting of unfiltered Pilsen, which matures in underground barrels.
And be sure to visit the souvenir shop.

The Cathedral of St. Bartholomew is a Gothic cathedral built in the late 13th-century with the Czech Republic's tallest spire. It showcases Renaissance paintings and provides a beautiful panoramic view of Plzen and its main square from the top, which can be reached through wide stairs that are not too steep. A net cage completely encloses the platform at the top for safety reasons.
A grey cathedral. The cathedral is a wonderful example of gothic medieval architecture. You can walk around the entire structure, as it is located in the middle of the beautiful main square of the city. The interior has many lovely paintings and altars. The hanging central cross with mourning John and Maria’s is exceptional. You can climb the impressive tower for a far view of the area. Well worth a visit, which is free when we went there.

The inside of the church isn't anything special, but the tower is definitely worth the climb and admission costing only a couple of euro. It's the tallest tower in Czechia and offers stunning views overlooking Plzens historical city center. Dogs not welcome.

We visited this church this past weekend while visiting the Pilsen Christmas Markets. A beautiful cathedral in the center of the Pilsen Square. Recently renovated over the past few years. We did not go up to the bell tower, but the views from the top must be amazing.

Great place to visit in Pilsen, it’s in the centre of the city and during Christmas it looks so beautiful along with the small Christmas market, few people etc. Great experience.

A beautiful church located in the city square. Highly recommend stopping by and taking a look around, it's very well maintained and preserved. We sat and had lunch on the outskirts of the block, it's a beautiful view from the outside too. There are little markets around the outside on the weekends for shopping, souvenirs, trinkets, and snacks.

One of the best landmark to city center in Plzeň. Various celebrations used to happen around this cathedral all over the year! Yearly christmas market is happened around the square.

The St. Bartholomew's Cathedral in Pilsen is a Gothic cathedral from the late 13th century, adorned with Renaissance paintings and boasting the tallest church tower in the Czech Republic. It is centrally located on the main square and is beautiful both on the outside and inside. For those without a fear of heights, you can ascend the tower during the day, where you'll be treated to a wonderful view over the entire city of Pilsen.

Beautiful round view above Plzen and the main square from up there. And in addition it's not too high and very well stairs (wide enough, not too steep) inside.
The platform on top is completely closed with a net cage for safety reasons.
If you enjoy a view (or to get an overview) over a city you're visiting, I'd recommend going up there.

Beautiful architecture inside and out. The climb up the stairs is worth it to see a birds eye view of Pilsen.

Visiting the cathedral was a stairway to both awe and exhaustion! The climb to the top's 13 floors felt like a marathon for my calves, but the view was so stunning that I momentarily forgot I had legs. It literally took my breath away - and not just from the stairs. The panoramic spectacle from the tower is worth every step, and the feeling of accomplishment at the summit is like reaching the pinnacle of a comedic workout routine. Definitely a must-visit, just be prepared for a workout with a side of breathtaking beauty!

The Cathedral of St. Bartholomew in Plzen, Czech Republic, is a magnificent religious monument that showcases a unique blend of Gothic and Baroque architecture.
Located in the city's historic center, the cathedral's exterior is a stunning example of Gothic design, with soaring spires and intricate stonework that have been beautifully preserved over the centuries. The interior is equally impressive, with an ornate Baroque altar and a stunning ceiling fresco that depicts scenes from the life of St. Bartholomew.
Plzeň Zoo is a combination of zoo and botanic gardens that boasts over 1300 species. The park offers a breeding program and visitors can see animals such as rhinos, cheetahs, hippos, lemurs, and leopards with their cubs. There are snack bars available throughout the zoo which is quite big and takes approximately 5 hours to explore due to the abundance of animals to admire.
Surprisingly big with lots of exotic animals. Unfortunately tigers were not out on display but the Lion cage made up for it! Super cool how they presented the lions, let's you stand just a few feet away with nothing but glass between you so makes for awesome photo opp!

This zoo is lovely. There is a lot of interesting animals. They see to be well, with enough space in most of the enclosures. The zoo is colocated with the botanical garden, so you could get a look at some plants when walking around.
On a Friday in March, there was no crowd, so the visit was really smooth (except for some construction work - but that's reasonable that they do the expansion of animal pavilions in low season).

Very good experience overall. The Dino park is very childish and small and is only good for children but it is very expensive. Don't waste your money for the Dino park. The zoo is beautiful and has lots of snack bars around. Quite big and we needed about 5 hours plus as there are many many animals to admire. The lemurs are the best as they roam freely around you. That alone got our money back which is very fun! The birds look the most unhealthy in the zoo as the cages have been built too low. The birds are not able to fly at all. The leopard mother is very fierce but her 2 cubs are extremely adorable. Recommended to go if you are in that area!

Very nice middle-size Zoo, parking at front door payed at entrance, fine entrance fee, many toilets and restaurants available, the most seen thing I can write is the cleanliness, every enclosure was very clean and well arranged, animals looked in very good condition, snakes and other reptiles were the most exciting, but underground was very ineteresting too, and of course the Czech corner was beautiful, I recommend this Zoo...

I really nice zoo for a good price. They were currently reconstructing the lion's den but we still got to see them. The descriptions were written in both Czech and English. I really liked their indoor expositions, terrariums and cacti expositions. The Asian gardens were also very interesting. There were restaurants all around with pretty reasonable prices. If you want a map, ask the cashier when buying your ticket.
And this cute lizard stole my heart
Hilltop, fortified castle complex ruins, dating from the 14th century, destroyed by fire in 1720.
This castle ruin is easily accessible from the center of the town Rabí. The parking now costs 100 Kč per car, guided tour 160 Kč per person, discounted 130 Kč. We chose limited unguided walk for 50 Kč as we were pressed for time. The short access directly to the ticket booth and castle gate is extremely uneven and steep, full of jutting stones and slippery on a rainy day when we were there. Once you get in, the walking gets much easier, as there are more level dirt paths and maintained grass areas. Inside the restored horse stable was a nice photo exhibition of Šumava localities. When you are done here, consider a stop at the well known restaurant in the town square.

The largest castle ruin complex in Czechia.
To see more than the first courtyard, you need to pay quite a steep entry fee of 150 CZK/person, which also includes a 40 minute long tour guide in Czech.
The tour starts at the precise time, no matter what the weather conditions, which can be harsh if it's windy or rainy (remember, it's a ruin). Our guide was a bit rough around the edges and sometimes shouted at the kids or adults in the group to stay quiet, but I personally enjoyed his no BS character.
Overall interesting, but I couldn't find the price justifiable, because the complex gets enough visitors and doesn't aim to restore the castle into its full original state.
Joe Lobotka — Google review
Castle ruins in a beautiful state with a great location above the city. Well seen from around the city as well as great views from the castle over the surrounding area.
Only the inner court and the old stables can be visited without a tour. Various tours are offered (here even in English) to see all of the remaining buildings of the castle you need to book various tours. Due to time limitations we only could take the palace tour.
Would definitely visit again to explore the rest of the site.

No English tours and they don't allow you go around without a guide. So you have to pay for a Czech tour guide who you will never understand. Also if you pay to enter just to the castle ground you have to pay 50 czk per person and let me tell you, if I dropped somewhere and lost 50 czk, I'd feel much much less sad than paying castle Rabi, literally nowhere to go around. Sad.
Medieval fortress with a porcelain museum, a prison & a ceremonial hall used for weddings & events.
Lovely Czech castle. Unfortunately I couldn't bare torture room, but my husband and kids enjoyed it as well as the running around the castle. Family 2 adults + 2 kids ticket 18 euro. If you want a guides audio, then 23 euro.

So far the most beautiful castle I've seen, not only does it look incredible from far away sitting on the mountain rock, but also on the inside it still has the medieval sense to it, add to that the amazing views around it (forests).
Also you're free to roam inside as you wish, so few restrictions, plus a surprise in the dungeons!
Karim AG — Google review
From the outside, this castle is absolutely beautiful, and the view of the hill with the castle on it is a must see. This review does not concern the outside of the castle (as seen from afar), rather the inside.
Firstly, the mini-exhibitions in the different rooms seem to have nothing in common with each other, there is a lack of coherence throughout the entire road of the “tour”. Most of the items look like they were picked off in a local flea market for a discounted price. There is no explanation as to what connection the content of each room has to the castle itself, some rooms therefore look like storage units.
Secondly, the inner ground of the castle is without any genuine meaning to it other than the unappealing stands.
Overall, the insides do not look well thought out, and are in need of some serious investment. (especially the stairs and the walls)
Would not necessarily recommend visiting the insides of the castle.

Absolutely amazing castle to visit. Even self-guided tour was great, so many areas are open to visitors, including parts of Roman rotunda that was hidden in staircase. The prison area is very realistically done, mannequins staged in cells to demonstrate gruesome torture devices (avoid if you are sensitive). History is explained, though there is room for improvement in making it more visitor- friendly (like an audio tour for example). There were few interactive areas for kids
I rarely give 5 stars to anywhere but this place is fabulous. Top sight in Klatovy. It’s very modern with good explanatory information. A few video reels as well. The mummies are amazing. Most preserved I’ve ever seen a yet in the world. As they explain, it’s natural mummification because of the hot dry atmosphere. A must see in Klatovy. Unfortunately I can’t post pictures of the mummies because it’s not allowed by Google. Same as art that shows nudity. Art censorship

Iconic and yet very gorgeous colonnade which represents the whole Marienbad. It is very similar like Carlsbad colonnade and what is very cute, that u can feel, that it is feminine-like architecture in its form and architectural accent. It is not worse nor bad, it is simply Marienbad icon, which represents the character of this place. The only thing which is bit sad is the flooring, which should be reconstructed and changed to some marble, limestone or other much higher quality material that will last. But by the end of the day, still beautiful.

The Singing Fountain, also known as Zpivajici Fontana, is a popular tourist attraction featuring over 250 water jets that dance to classical and popular music. Lit up after dark, the fountain offers seasonal displays with hourly performances throughout the day and evening. Built as part of the reconstruction of the Maxim Gorky Promenade in the 1980s, this architectural marvel was designed by Pavel Miksik and features specially composed music by Petr Hapka.

If playing pre-recorded music to a water fountain is a tourist attraction, my morning showers are worthy of a map pin. To be fair this visit was during daytime and there might be more to the spectacle at night with lights. For me, the most surprising aspect in visiting this fountain was the "reborn" meetup surrounding the outer fountain wall with proud collectors displaying their babies and vintage carriages, filling the space between the on-the-hour fountain event with photo opps galore.

Soos Nature Reserve
A nature reserve, curiosity and European rarity in one!
The Soos National Nature Reserve lies not far from Františkové Lázně. The vast peat bogs with lakes, mineral springs and gaseous carbon dioxide springs are reminiscent of a prehistoric landscape. The most interesting places include a nature trail that leads directly above the bogs along meandering wooden walkways. You can see a natural geological park, a museum dedicated to the local nature, the history of the Earth and an exhibition of life-size models of prehistoric animals.
It also shows the flora and fauna endemic to this species due to the specific geological conditions of the soil and subsoil.

Zoo with 200 species, from lions to lynxes, plus a beer garden, café, play areas & stone-age house.
We do this every year with our kids, and they love it. The team is super helpful. Today, there was a mix-up with our English guide, and the director of the tour went ahead and did it for us. The highlight for this year was the lions. It is a smaller zoo, but they still have lots of cool animals. The perk of being a smaller zoo is that it is not as crowded. So, we went to see the lions, kangaroos, tigers, and other animals without being crowded for space. They do have a small food stand with the usual German foods and a small treat selection. There is also a playground, gift shop, and place to feed some goats up close.
I recommend checking them. Can't wait until next year.

Clean, great variety of species to see, small enough for a 3 yrs old to walk and be independent, affordable. They have a park plaza, and concessions stand. If you have a picky eater bring your own food. We visited during the week in the morning time and it was just perfect.

It’s a tiny zoo but it has quite a few interesting animals. I find it easy to get around because it’s a linear way through, as you can see in the photo I posted with the map. I spent 1,5 hours there and saw everything, taking my time to take it all in.
My favorite animals to see: the tigers, bears and penguins.
Normally there’s also lions in the zoo but they are temporarily not present since they are raising funds to expand their “zoo home habitat”.
There’s also a section where you can feed tiny goats, that was cool.
I recommend it ✔️

Amazing place for both kids and adults. All the animals there are very well cared and active during my visit early in the afternoon. The inside + outside view design allow visitors to view and observe the animals from various angles. 7 Euros per person and free parking are indeed worthy!

Imposing neo-classical edifice with a marble hall housing plaques & busts of illustrious Germans.
Impressive, outstanding building. A few minutes by car from Regensburg away. Two parking places only a few minutes by feet away. Or you ride with a bike along the Donau. Perfect for a nice trip. Wonderful point of view.

We parked car, got our ticket (2,50€), and then began to head up the stairs. Once we reached the top after a short walk, I instantly spotted the main building and wow, it’s impressive.
To the right are toilets, which were surprisingly clean, and a bit further ahead was the option to get some drinks and ice-cream. To the left is the Walhalla itself, and you can either take the stairs or head up the ramp to reach the inside.
You can walk along the arcade, and head around the building to reach the front. There you can either enjoy the scenery and fantastic view, or head down the stairs to enjoy a different perspective. I walked down all of the stairs, and then decided to take the ‘forest’ walk back up. And gosh, that really wasn’t the best decision I ever made. Only take this walk if you are prepared for a steed walk up.
If you want to, you can then head inside, which costs 4,50€ for a standard adult ticket. Currently only 35 people are allowed inside, and due to that I was able to take photo with not a lot of people walking around. I don’t know what numbers are usually allowed in, but if you want to enjoy it without masses of people, head there now or during the week.
The hall had been built in the style of Greek temples, and inside you can find busts of “great men and women” important to German history. I personally found the older ones really interesting look-wise, but the more modern ones rather lacking in comparison. Inside you will also find a statue of Ludwig I. who was the one responsible for this building. You have to wear a mask inside, and on the outside you need to be a bit careful as most visitors didn’t really pay attention to keeping distance or wearing their masks where they should have.
Overall the Walhalla is really worth a visit, especially if you like to take photos and enjoy the Greek architecture.

Impressive place with a lot of history, well kept. It has a small parking lot that we managed to park in summer. Cost of 2.5€ for parking a car (didn't return my 50 cents of change) and 4€ per person to enter the building. Amazing views.

Great escape into a Roman architecture monument just couple of minutes away from Regensburg. Nice place to stroll and hike around on a sunny day. Inside the monument you get to see beautifully made sculptures and the place has an entrance fee. There is a bus connection every 30 minutes or so and also has a parking and a nice church nearby.

We were totally inspired by the greatness of the monument. The building is the successfull copy of Pantheon palace in Athens. There is beautiful view from the top and it is wonderful chilling spot for picnic. You will hardly find even more romantic place than this. Visit, see and enjoy ! 🤩

It's quite a spectacular site, the views while you approach are magnificent. There is a cost to park and when you get to the top, if you want to look inside there is also a cost. I would just peek in inside as it is only that one room and not really worth the cost of going in. But I highly recommend coming having a picnic and taking in the great views of the Danube!!

Walhalla provides an extraordinary experience! The temple's awe-inspiring architecture left me speechless, adorned with intricate carvings and majestic columns. Upon entering, I discovered a remarkable collection of busts and plaques commemorating Germany's influential figures throughout history. The panoramic view of the Danube River from the temple was truly breathtaking, complemented by meticulously maintained gardens. For those with a passion for history, culture, and impressive architectural wonders, Walhalla is an absolute must-visit destination. The ticket price was €4.5 and car parking was around €2. And also accessible by public transportation. wholeheartedly give it a five-star rating!

It’s wonderful historical place to visit. If you are in good health, park down somewhere in the village and walk all the way up to Walhalla, it’s a beautiful hike. For those who have trouble walking up can park close to the building. Parking is €2.50 for 2 hours.

……What an incredible experience to come and witness this picturesque site which the Neoclassical Temple is built on the top of the hill overlooking the Danube River flowing through the valley below! When you arrive at the parking area which has ample parking spaces for many vehicles there is a Parking Meter Machine where you pay first and display your voucher in the cars windscreen before making your ascent via more than a hundred long steps to the top! It’s so beautiful as the pathway is lined by very tall trees 🌲 displaying its autumn 🍂 colorful leaves 🍁 and the grass is lashes and green. When you arrive at the top in the distance you see what you are about to encounter the “PARTHENON” a massive Neoclassical temple. There are benches for you rest and catch your breath after the steep climb. The surroundings are impressive-lii beautiful with the well maintained landscapes surrounding the Temple. It’s really huge with many large marble pillars meters high. When you eventual-lii arrive at the front door and entrance you are overwhelmed by the beauty of the Danube river flowing below and the picturesque valley. It cost €4.50 per adult to gain entry to this Parthenon-like memorial to noted Germans! There are 130 bust the likes of Mozart, Einstein, Beethoven etc, etc. It’s really a fascinating experience to behold….a must visit when in this area near Regensburg! NB! There are very clean and user-friend-lii toilets …

Splendid view over the Danube river. Located slightly outside of Regensburg, easily reachable by bus and a short walk, this is a must see old temple. The beauty of the building is mesmerizing. A bit different from ancient buildings and architecure that you see in Germany. If the weather is clear you can easily spend an hour enjoying the views.

Beautiful building and architecture. It appears older than it is. The views are stunning.
In case you are not very mobile, there are a few steps to navigate to get up so plan for a bit of extra time.
We didn’t go inside as it was near closing time so I can’t comment on whether that is worth the entry fee.

If you are in the area around Regensburg, Germany, I would highly recommend a stop at Walhalla! Compared to the rest of the region, it is not as old, but incredibly majestic and it provides a fantastic view of the Danube river and, in the distance, a view of the city. I would encourage a visit near dusk, where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset (maybe with a picnic basket). For the best views, get there early as there can be a crowd on evenings with good weather.
The Regensburg pedestrian bridge over the Danube is a Medieval engineering masterpiece that has been in use since 1146. The bridge is made of stone and spans the river with 16 arches. It is still in use today and is a popular tourist destination.
The interesting thing about this Stone Bridge (Steinerne Brücke in German) is that it is one of the oldest bridges in Germany and an important Romanesque building in Regensburg. According to the natives of Regensburg, the bridge is shrouded in legend

….:It’s so nostalgic to be walking around a town on the Danube River that dates back to the medieval days of the 1200’s almost 800 years later and it is so well preserved and maintained. Very impressive is the beautiful “Clock-Towers” all around the town it is said that there are nine of them in total around the town of Regensburg. The Old Gate entrance to the town from the Danube River is so awesome 🤩 and well preserved. The cobble stone roads are still walkable no loose stones to trip over this tells you that those responsible are rep-lii doing an excellent job preserving what is to be encountered here in Regensburg for generations to come and see…NB! Something worthwhile to mention is the fact that the town’s leaders remember the citizens (Jews) that went missing during WW11 because around the town where these persons lived there is a high-lii polished “Brass-Plate” with their names on…May their souls R.I.P…😇

This is the main attraction to see in Regensburg. The bridge itself seems to recently have been cleaned or renovated, as the bricks seem to shine in the sun. The bridge links both sides of the historical city center to each other. It also offers great sunset shots over the Danube.

Nestled in the heart of Regensburg, the Old Stone Bridge is a true testament to the city's rich history. As I strolled along its cobblestone path, I couldn't help but be captivated by the sheer beauty of this ancient structure. The weathered stones tell tales of centuries gone by, and the view of the Danube from the bridge is nothing short of breathtaking.
What sets the Old Stone Bridge apart is the sense of authenticity it exudes. Unlike some tourist spots, this bridge hasn't been overly commercialized. It's a place where you can immerse yourself in the past, imagining the footsteps of those who traversed it long before us.
The surrounding architecture adds to the charm, and the play of sunlight on the stone creates a picturesque scene that's perfect for capturing memories. Whether you're a history enthusiast or just seeking a quiet escape, the Old Stone Bridge is an absolute must-visit.

1- Enjoying the architecture of the old town in general and the surrounding of the bridge.
2- Enjoy seeing the Danube River, especially at night! The sound of the river's flow will provide you with an unbelievable!
3- Enjoy the bridge itself, its lights, its architecture, and the enthusiasm and live of the people that you see there.

St Peter Cathedral is also known as Regensburg Cathedral or Dom Peter. It is of Gothic architecture, having two spires. The exterior features some intricate and interesting medieval sculptures, while the interior has the same plus stained glass windows.
In comparison with many other cathedrals I have come across, this is not the most elaborate, but I believe it still deserves a score of 5 stars.

Saint Peter's Cathedral is the most important point on the map of Regensburg's history. Its imposing building is the only example of French Gothic in all of Bavaria. Earlier, there was a Romanesque temple in this place, but after a fire in the second half of the 13th century, it was decided to build a new structure. Construction work lasted over 250 years, although the construction of both towers was not completed until the 19th century. You can enter the cathedral for free from 6.30 am till 5.00 p. m. Inside, stained glass windows from the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries delight, which have been preserved in their original condition thanks to the city's avoidance of bombardment. According to some, it is the most beautiful collection in our part of Europe.
She is world-famous for her boys' choir, created a thousand years ago. From 1964 to 1994, its choirmaster was the elder brother of Joseph Ratzinger, by the way- a former member of the choir.

The cathedral was under construction but it did not affect the interior architecture. Spectacular stained glass art was definitely a highlight. The noon prayer session at 12:00 was perfect for meditating and finding some peace of mind in the middle of the day, but the organ music was a little underwhelming, because I expected more from the "intimidating"-looking "pipes" of the organ.

We have already seen many cathedrals, but this cathedral made me ecstatic. What a beauty! Most of all I liked the stained glass windows. And although the cathedral looks a little dark, the old stained glass windows let in little light, but the atmosphere in the cathedral is very authentic. We really enjoyed. Now the cathedral is being reconstructed. But this does not prevent you from admiring the Gothic beauty of the temple.

This is the landmark of Landshut, and there are less chances of anyone missing it from any part of town centre.
The church is made of bricks, and 2nd tallest brick structure in the world. As with most churches in Bavaria and to most of Germany, the architecture style is Gothic.
It has got a huge crucifix hanging from the roof directly above the altar. For me it was the biggest indoor cross I had seen.
It's a good time to see all through year around, and gives Landshut Town Centre a definitive face. It does go without saying that visiting the church during mass is not allowed.

Towering landmark of this beautiful town Landshut. What is there to not like about this view?
Liberation Hall, a remarkable edifice commemorating the triumphs of Germanic tribes over Napoleon during the Wars of Liberation, is an impressive sight to behold. The building exudes beauty and grandeur that captivates any onlooker's attention. However, visitors should be aware that parking comes at a cost of 2.50 units of currency per vehicle. Additionally, due to corona restrictions, climbing the stairs leading to the top of the monument is prohibited.
We parked our car, then walked down towards the Hall where we took the first set of stairs up. Right in front of the entrance we had to wait a bit, as only a certain number of people are allowed inside right now. I don’t know if this was different before Corona, but I really have to admit, that it was amazing to not haveto share this Hall with too many people at a time. We could see everything and even were alone inside the main hall for some minutes which enabled me to take some really cool photos.
The Hall is round, and on the outside you can see 18 statues representing the German tribes who were a part of the battles against Napoleon during the wars of liberation from 1813 to 1815.
The main hall is 45 metres high and has a 29 metres diameter. There are 34 statues, and these victory goddesses have their hands resting on a shield, facing the inside of the hall. After heading up a couple of stairs, visitors can walk right behind these statues; they can also advance even further onto two balconies, both offering fantastic views.
Be aware, however, that this is a rather narrow staircase and in hot weather I’d suggest to walk this really slowly, unless you want to pant a lot once you reached the top.

This cultural landmark is amazing. I don't know why it isn't better known. It's imposing but also elegant. Make the time to take the stairs to the gallery level for a different view of the interior. We couldn't access the exterior walkway, but normally you can.
There currently isn't any real information about the hall inside but the gift shop has free brochures and there are a few signs with information in German and English on the path to the monument.
Road construction affects access right now (you either walk or, on weekends/holidays you take a shuttle).
This is well worth the effort to get there. Impressive inside and out.

Awesome experience! Learning about the liberation of a people and seeing the different locations represented there was very insightful.
Also, the views from the top are breathtaking!! The climb was well worth it.

Fantastic destination. However a bit light on how the Bavarian kings left out the part where they were eager collaborators of Napoleon. Some more didactic elements would have been great. Beautiful though

As this place Kehlheim is very beautiful, but only around the river... This Hall is also a place to visit there, just meters 3from parking. But what's the use if u have to read the history of it on phone.. Oe can do it from standing at the bank of river.. No no.. If u like to climb 165 steps, not having any vertigo issue, and love marble work, this place is for u... Else.. No

This place is amazing. Modelled on the Pantheon in Rome. If you can climb stairs go to the top the views are amazing
Caroline Sawle — Google review
It is stroller and person in wheelchair accessible! Just follow the path around the Liberation Hall building and you'll see the elevator.
There's parking also for a fee.
Or use the blue tram city train for visitors from the city center.
There's visitor center office in downtown Kelheim too for more info.

Beautiful location. But be aware, entrance to the hall is limited time during the day. Check before heading there! (Still beautiful to see outside though) 🥰

Really cool, beautiful building. We had to pay 2.50€ for parking and when we walked back there was no longer anyone collecting money for parking..? Also I would’ve liked to know beforehand that due to corona were not allowed to climb the stairs of the building so that was disappointing.

Liberation Hall in Kelheim, Bavaria is a stunning architectural gem with panoramic city and river views. The on-site cafeteria/restaurant adds convenience, making it an ideal place to unwind, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.
When traveling by car, it's recommended to use the car parking address as the destination to avoid abruptly ending up on the main road.
A must-visit spot in Kelheim for a delightful experience.

This impressive memorial, built by Ludwig I, offers breathtaking views from its gallery. Even if the hall is closed, the hike and surroundings are worth it. Don’t miss this remarkable monument in Kelheim! 🏛️🌟

History and views in one spot! A great quick (one hour) stop if your in the area. Parking was only a couple euros per car then entrance fee was about 4 euros per person. A small walk from the parking lot to building. You can enjoying the stunning structure of the building from both inside and out, along with a bit of history information as you walk to the building. If you can handle stairs and aren't claustrophobic, I would highly recommended walking the stairs inside the building to the top where you can have an amazing view from above in all directions. Or stay below and enjoy the acoustics and high pillars, surrounded by giant angel sculptures.

This place can be a lot of work to get to if you park at the bottom however it felt great making it all the way to the top! Lucky for me the rain held off and was a good hike. Inside the liberation hall which you have to pay to enter just go to the visitor center. But it has some gorgeous views from the top! Definitely a must! Lots of history marked in here.
Courtney Darder — Google review
A very nice historic place to visit. The place is well maintained . It has a very scenic and fabulous view from the top of the Galerie. Kelheim looks wonderful from top. The architecture was excellent, and loved the inner sculpture of the hall. I have taken pictures of almost all the 18 shields inside the building. One can climb to the top of the Galerie inner and also the outer .. it has 165 spiralling stairs to the top.
Bharani Shankar — Google review
Wonderful place to visit. It's located ~20 min of walk from the city centre.
Inside the hall it's cold, so be prepared and rather have a jacket. You can walk up through another ~200 stairs to get an extra view.
You need to get the tickets in the small building which is located another 300m direction west.

Amazing Rotunda! How Incredible!
And also, you can visit the upper floor using the stair. It gives you amazing perspective view. Enjoy!
It takes 25min by walk from the bus station.

This playful, soaring observation tower offers sweeping views of the town & surrounding countryside.
Interesting tour of the brewer. Includes a beer and a pretzel at the end of the tour. The highlight is going up the tower
Phil Woo — Google review
Another magnificent architecture by Hundertwasser.
They have a guided tour of this brewery which costs you 20 EUR.
The tour is in German but at the counter they give you a booklet in English which explains everything what tour guide says in German.
Brewery is beautifully constructed and maintained.
Weekdays are the best days to see a fully functional brewery.
They have enough parking space.
You can get a Beer/Soft drink + one pretzel for free when you book a guided tour.
Bharath Kumar — Google review
Crazy what you do, of you fall in love... With art!
Awesome great example for a Hundertwasser tower and the whole theme is carried through the brewery!

Nice place. An interesting brauerei tour. But be ready for Bavarian language, not German 🤣
Alexandr Velechshuk — Google review
I am not a beer enthusiast but this place was very interesting and the architecture was AMAZING. There is meaning in every detail of the structure.
We parked in the lot next to the souvenir shop which is where you buy tickets to enter. We were a family of four and that cost 36 euro for the tour and a beer/soft drink and pretzels at the end. The tour is in German but they offer an English script which is very helpful and informative. I don’t drink beer but wanted the full experience so I tried the Suße Liebe and it was surprisingly good. It was sweet with a hint of citrus and did not taste like beer at all. I definitely recommend going. We had fun!

A very nice Brauerei at heart of Abensberg. The Brauerei houses the Hundertwasser Turm and it is a must visit location. We were unable to climb up the tower as it was closed for public.

An amazing place, great Hundertwasser, tasty beer, nice staff, five out of five! :)

International embarrassment.
Beer garden is good but avoid the museum at all costs! There’s not much to see in the tower and prices are unreasonable. You can’t go up the tower freely and have to wait two hours to join a German speaking “tour”.
Staff are impatient, unprofessional and downright rude. Honestly such an embarrassment to the local community.

Very cool place to stop for a few minutes and admire Hundertwasser’s work. Unfortunately the museum and gift shop were closed when I went, but I’m still glad I stopped for a look.

Kuchlbauer Tower is amazing. However, if you go to the tower ensure you take the tour of the Kuchlbauer brewery. The backstory is amazing and so is the art. For two adults to do the brewery and tower tour it was €25. However, at the end of the tour you get a free beer and pretzel. The tour and tower both have elevators that are wheelchair accessible and there is a parking lot across the street from the tower.

One of Hundertwasser masterpieces, very nice and fun. The biergarten is surprisingly good as well!
Nice park for children. And the view point is not that much attractive but for one time you can try. The restaurant near by is good for pomes and some desert’s. Old flights are there but due to corona they are closed. Overall it’s good 👍.

If you’re into planes and have a couple of spare hours before or after your flight this place is totally worth it.
It’s a stop with the S1 from the airport and a nice 15 minute walk.
The playground for the kids is one of the coolest and the view at the top of the hill really gives you a close overview of the whole airport.
Be aware of having 1€ coins in hand, that’s the entrance cost to the hill.

Nice place for kids to play for about 2-4hours. Kids might get tired of staying there longer than that especially in summer(went there in summer and the sun was so scorching), the play ground doesn't have enough shade but there is shade in front of the restaurant.
The park also have a platform where you can see the beautiful view of how planes take off.
Also remember to bring your coins as your kids will need it to access some play machine and also for you to enter the platform for viewing planes take off.
The place closes at 5pm as at August 2022(time of writing this review.
Have fun😄😄

Great place to take young children. Our four year old grandson had a great time on the play equipment. Free to enter but It costs one euro per person to climb the hill to get a better view of the airport and planes landing and taking off, it was well worth it. There is a restaurant on site, a small exhibition area and a souvenir shop.
Karen Edwards — Google review
A good place to bring kids. Kids would enjoy the outdoor play places of different themes. Get a nice view of the flight's landing and take off. The food and beverages at the restaurant are a bit expensive though.

Really cool place to come watch planes. Several planes are located in the visitors park. They were not open to see much of when I was there, but good photos from the outside. Restaurant to grab a bite to eat. Plenty of areas for kids to play. Great souvenir shop. Well worth the visit to spend a few hours alone or with the family. Amazing hill to climb to watch all the movements at Munich Airport. Great experience.

People are currently not allowed in the plane as it is being renovated. But the viewing platform was okay at €1. You could see much of the airport and the planes taking off which entertained the children. Unfortunately there were a lot of off duty policemen in the restaurant eating and the restaurant ran out of most dishes.

Great view of Munich Airport, a large aviation themed playground, and some historic aircrafts - open all day. The viewpoint cost 1 EUR in coins or 5/10 notes.

Excellent option for the kids! We didn't visit the inner museum, because it was a paid tour. The outside park was perfect, kids loved it. There are an airplane for kids, a control tower and a zip line. For 1 euro you can enter in two of the three airplanes in the exhibition. For 1 more euro you can go up to the observatory.

Great Atmosphere and a lovely place to visit any time of the year.

This outlet is not a large place , so it doesn't take long to walk around.
There are the intersting brands like...
-Gucci (we took a long time here, a staff give a good sevice)
-Prada ( Bad staff , ignore customer 👎)
-Loewe. and more
you can check brandlist at their website

But I thought I would find more brands, and not all shops have kids section 🙁.

The shopping center is very clean and beautifully decorated. However, it's quite small and lacks high-end luxury stores. The only luxury brand available is Gucci.

Ingolstadt Village is one of the many Bicester Collection shopping villages in Europe. You can reach this place by taking a train from Munich. A return train ticket cost EUR29. From the Ingolstadt train station, you can take a bus to the village. The bus ride takes approximately 15mins. At Ingolstadt Village, you can find many luxury brands here...from Gucci, Prada, Bally, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, Armani, Coach, Kate Spade, Burberry and many others. The retail price of products sold here is between 20% to 50% off the normal price depending on the season. Good place for chillax with friends and family or simply for some shopping therapy. One can spend 4 hours or more just to explore the village and to discover the bargains offered by the many retail outlets here. A must visit place if you're in Munich be it for business or leisure.
Danny Tham — Google review
Was a very great shopping experience! The place is actually worth the visit. It has a bit over one-hundred different brands which is good enough even if some brands like Adidas, Skechers, LV were not available. For sure it had amazing discounts like how an outlet is supposed to be and the staff in every store were very helpful and kind. It also has a very huge parking lot for people bringing their own cars. Too bad they dont have a lot of indoor restaurants for the people who come here and the food available were like currywurst and other german snack like food and they were like in stalls which had no chairs/tables. You can seat on the public seats around there but if it’s packed then you have to eat while standing… even if this is normal for german people, it is not for international customers who come here… so definitely have to work on that. Another very unfortunate thing is that going back and forth from Ingolstadt Hbf/Nord to the village there were only two buses in one hour and these two buses had like two minutes difference in departure time so if you miss these two you gotta wait for an hour which is quite long for these kinds of places. Although overall… great outlet for shopping!

The outlet shopping village is awesome for shopping fans, like my wife, and not me :)
Take a train from Munich central station to Ingolstadt NORD station, around 1 hour + 10 minutes with bus no.20, you will be there. A lot of shops with reasonable prices, cheaper than Munich central Marienplatz twice. Recommend for weekend short trip.

Nice boutique's village, many shops with clothеs and accessories. There are discounts on Easter Eve. Тhe Coffee Fellows has a very tasty warmed sandwich with salmon and red velvet cupcake.
But the same village in Almosenberg is better, more pleasant.

General outlet stuff, if you’re interested in a specific brand, ok but not worth the trip, hard to find sizes and not so many stores actually. Burberry have their outlet merchandise, not high quality like the regular store; Gucci has all logos and kitch stuff; Balenciaga staff are very rude (i saw they have speed and some nano city bags); Loewe has very old and really the last remaining stuff; at Tod’s you can find cute stuff; Jimmy Choo also have nice shoes options plus the girls are really nice; Ralph Lauren has selection but the store is a mess and staff rude; Nike is the saddest store ever.
There are one coffee shop, one champagne bar (which is actually more of a kiosk) and i think 2 restaurants, one “Italian” with pizza & pasta only and i don’t remember the other.
Cosmina Davutoğlu — Google review
Nice shopping area, /w free parking and WiFi but try to avoid weekends and pre-christmas time (lots of people!). 😅
Many (mixed) brands:
Luxury clothing, sportswear, accessoires, hand bags, kitchen utensils and much more...
Most of them offer discounted prices, but some sizes or products are sometimes out of stock or not available.

Huge wildlife park with nature trails through free roaming animals, plus zoo & bird of prey shows.
Extensive parkland area with many animals. So used to human you can feed them from the palm of your hand. Excellent and extensive playground area with many age-appropriate equipment and a wonderful water feature. There’s a lovely ground with seating area for picnic so you can bring your own lunch. The kids loved it so much here we spent the entire day in the park through a snow blizzard. Highly recommended. We will be back for sure.

Amazing place to spend a day "into the wild".
You can see and feed deers and see a lot of other animals.
The show with the eagles, hawks and owls is absolutely amazing!
Sunday it might be terribly chaotic, mostly to find a parkind place, but once you get in (after 10/15 minutes), you are not able to feel the amount of people in the park (except when you are in the food/playground area).
I haven't rate it with 5 stars as I would expect:
A) More toilets in such a huge place. Mostly for kids.
B) More spaces were to eat without being under the sun.
C) Tables and sits might need to be renewed.

This place was a brilliant place to spend the morning. My daughter of 2.5 loved the free roaming deer, feeding them and the goats.
We were very happy to see wolves, bears and amazing birds of prey out and about. Incredible.
Then, the icing on the cake. A playground for every age as far as the eye could see.
I loved this.
By afternoon the place got quite full.

Excellent day out for kids. Main attraction is feeding the deers, goats, pigs and many more. There is a big children's playground inside and seating places for small picnic. Definitely recommend for families.

Amazing wild park! The animals there are kept in good conditions. Deer 🦌 and goats 🐐 are let outside to walk on the same path as the visitors.
The best part is that you can feed the animals!!!
You can buy a decent-sized bag of food at the ticket counter for just 50 cents!
But it’s better to buy food at vending machines there. It costs the same, but the animals like it better.

Large Wildpark with many well kept animals and many playgrounds.
We stayed 5 hours and the kids loved it, especially the dinosaur water playground and of course all the animals.
I suggest bringing your own food and beverages, since the capacity of the small fast food kiosk is limited.
- availability of food
+ many different animals to get close to
+ free raptor show
+ free parking
+ fair prices
+ well maintained playgrounds
+ free to use excavators

If you're taking little kids, pack a swimsuit. There's a waterpark :) When you enter you can buy pet food and feed the deers and goats. You can even pet them if they let you. Beware the geese even if they're pretty, they snap at you! There's picnic tables to eat at and lot's of space to walk. A keeper and his dog keep watch a little farther away. Have fun :)

Our family loves this park and we try to visit at least once or twice a year. The animals are lovely and well taken care of. The children enjoy feeding them and exploring this huge variety of wildlife. You can find bears, goats, nutria, bison, wild boar etc… The deer and mouflons come really close and eat from the hand.
The playgrounds are huge and offer lots of variety. There are slides, swings, a huge fort and a water playground which is great in the summer. From spring to fall there is a bird show which is included in the price.
As already mentioned we love this place and can only recommend it to anyone who loves animals and a nice stroll through the forest.

Phenomenal place. Huge, organized space for animals. We enjoyed our entire stay at Wild Park. A real corner for children and adults. It is recommended not to wear light-colored shoes, because there is a lot of mud on the trail, which is normal. A spacious area for rest in the shade of trees and children's toys. The bird show is the icing on the cake of this place. Recommendation for all animal lovers to spend their time in this park.
King SiZe — Google review
I really liked visiting it, because you stay in the fresh air, in a beautiful forest, walk there without huge human crowds, and see animals in a great shape, that are not locked in the zoo in cells, not are very free.
It's less expensive than the zoo, it smells better, amazing how birds who could fly away just stay there. Bears, lynes, wild pigs, peacocks, eagles, wolfs! And many goats and deers that just run where visitors go. They also have fish, chicken, cows, buffalos.
High recommendation in winter, when the park is half so full as in summer.
The Audi Forum Ingolstadt is a museum located beside the Audi factory, showcasing a range of cars and motorcycles along with restaurants and an arthouse cinema. The tour begins on the top floor and covers the entire history of the car manufacturer, including its role during World War II. A rotating elevator featuring various Audi motorsport cars is one of the highlights of the museum. Factory tours are not part of the ticket but can be booked in advance during weekdays.
This was great to add to my collection of museum experiences. So far I've been to the BMW, Mercedes and Porsche museums so this was the cherry on top. I spent 5 hours here just like I did the others and enjoyed every moment of it. The front desk staff was helpful when I had a question regarding my rental car's refueling and parking. Did I mention the onsite restaurant is amazing? Well, believe it. It is. It wasn't your cheap restaurant menu it had a FULL buffet of healthy foods. Great way to refuel after a long day of informative adventures past and present. They have so many cars on display along with the history of the formation of Audi. That revolving elevator of cars is really cool. I'm excited to see what awaits as I got a glimpse of the future of automotive technology provided by one of the finest car manufacturers on the planet. Will I ever be able to afford one? I can't say for sure, but it's worth a try!

Not that big museum if you are expecting to see a lot of items inside (only two floors) but pretty enough for getting the first impression about Audi and its history. 2G+ is mandatory in these days.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Audi Ingolstadt facility on a midweek Wednesday, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The museum, housing a remarkable collection of vintage automobiles, provided a captivating journey through the rich history of the Audi brand. Upon my visit, the museum exhibited a serene ambiance, as it was surprisingly devoid of a large crowd, enhancing the overall experience. The opportunity to explore the extensive collection of very old cars in such a tranquil setting added a unique charm to my visit.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the factory tour, which left me awe-inspired by the cutting-edge technology employed in the automotive industry. The precision and efficiency witnessed during the tour underscored Audi's commitment to excellence. The knowledgeable guides provided insightful commentary, enriching the tour with valuable information about the manufacturing processes and technological innovations.
The hospitality extended by the staff at Audi Ingolstadt further heightened the overall experience. The personnel were not only courteous but also demonstrated a genuine passion for the brand and its heritage. Their willingness to share information and answer queries contributed significantly to the positive atmosphere surrounding the visit.
I wholeheartedly recommend both the museum and the factory tour to enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
The combination of historic charm, state-of-the-art technology, and exceptional hospitality makes this destination a must-visit for anyone interested in the world of automobiles. Audi Ingolstadt truly exemplifies excellence in every aspect of its offerings.

The museum is next to the Audi factory. The tour starts at the top floor and it's walking through the entire history of the car manufacturer, especially the agitated period during the second world war. The highlight of the museum is a rotating elevator with different Audi motorsport cars. Factory tours are not included in the museum ticket. It's possible only during the week and booking in advance is recommended.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Audi Museum in Ingolstadt and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The museum offers a unique and fascinating insight into the history of this iconic automotive brand, and I was thoroughly impressed with everything on display.
The exhibits at the Audi Museum are both informative and engaging, with an impressive collection of historic vehicles and interactive displays. The attention to detail in every aspect of the museum is truly impressive, and it's clear that a lot of care and attention has gone into creating this world-class facility.
One of the highlights of my visit was the chance to see some of Audi's most famous cars up close and personal, including some of the iconic racing cars that have helped to cement the brand's reputation over the years.
Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the Audi Museum in Ingolstadt to anyone with an interest in cars or automotive history. The museum is truly world-class, and the experience is one that I will not soon forget. Thank you to everyone at the Audi Museum for providing such an incredible experience!

For an Audi enthusiast this is definitely a place to visit. It may not be a big museum but it does capture the history of the cars and surprisingly it wasn’t that busy. A few downsizes the gift shop I think is small than your average shop. If you want to do your the factory is better to book online as the tours get fill quickly. Don’t forget to present your parking card to receive free parking.

Small but with a nice collection of historical and racing Audi cars and motorcycles. The people there are friendly except near the closing hour they can’t wait any minute to throw you out of the museum as well as the shop. The Avus restaurant is highly recommended—food is great and pricing is reasonable, and the service there is great.

I would recommend visiting in the end of September or later, because the first floor, where the modern automobiles are, is closed until then.
There are not only automobiles, but also motorcycles and bicycles. You can also see how the different details of automobiles work.
You should schedule at least two hours to spend there, however it could easily turn into 3-4 hours. The entry costs 5 euros for adults.

Great museum, different from any other car museum with the crane that keeps turning and showing different cars. It’s easy to follow, explanstions are brief and there are some amazing cars. Unfortunatley there’s a lack of modern cars and it is a bit small in comparison to Porsche museum, for example. But it is really worth it. I recommend to check the website first, since first floor usually has temporary exhibitions and you might find it closed. I highly recommend the museum if you are in Bavaria (Bayern).

It is a great pleasure to be back at the Audi Forum in Ingolstadt, Germany, four years after my last visit in 2019. The Four Rings brand is Living with progress in the most inspiring way.
