Sights & Landmarks
Rila Monastery is a popular cultural site with vibrant frescoes and a museum. The monastery stands out against the green mountains, offering stunning views. While reaching the monastery can be challenging, renting a car for the trip is recommended. Visitors can explore the church adorned with beautiful paintings and also visit the museum, kitchen, guest rooms, ethnographic museum, and tower by purchasing a combo ticket. The complex includes magnificent rooms with wood carving and painted ceilings as well as local clothing exhibits from different regions.
Very beautiful! Totally recommend if you are visiting Sofia and enjoy beautiful architecture and Bulgarian History.

If one visits Sofia for more than 2 days, I would recommend to visit the monastery. We went by renting a car, which is really cheap and worthwhile. Just for the trip up there, the trip is worthwhile. The monastery itself is stunning. The church is jaw dropping. I get "anxious" in a place so filled with "stuff", but it's still interesting to see. We went to the restaurant right outside of the monastery, and had a drink. Definitely worth recommending. The views are amazing and the staff very friendly.

It was a beautiful day to visit the monastery. Amazing architecture and so much history behind. It’s public holiday but not busy in the morning, we arrived at 10am, crowd came around 11:30-12:00. There’s some souvenir stalls/shops around and the monastery is surrounded by amazing scenery and nature, truly relaxing. We also visited a smaller monastery along the river/falls just outside the Rila monastery.

Looking for a great place to visit in Bulgaria?
This ancient monastery is still being used today. It’s a great piece of Bulgarian history hidden in its mountains.
To get there, you’d go by tour or drive. But let me tell you, it’s sooo worth it.
It’s like you were sent back in time. Definitely a must see on your Bulgaria bucket list.
I came here with my best friend and went on a road trip in Bulgaria. So we decided to check this place out.
Be prepared to pay a parking fee. And be sure to bring a bottle water to get some water from the fountains there.
Reminder there is no photos inside the buildings and be mindful of what you wear.
I definitely recommend trying the monastery bread when you get there

The most iconic place to see if you are in Sofia. A little far from the center but the driving and the bus don't cost much. The frescoes are beautiful and the facades are beautifully decorated. Unique architecture between stone and wood decorations. Inside the guard staff is the rudest person seen in all of Bulgaria. You can't have your hands in your pockets :)
Adriano Bova — Google review
The Rila Monastery is one of the symbols of Bulgaria, included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. Amazing atmosphere, beautiful nature and crystal clear air. You feel the positive energy of the place as soon as you cross the threshold of the monastery. Definitely a location that is a must visit, especially if you are in the area.
Svetozar Boykinov — Google review
Very beautiful and spiritual place. The ride to the Monastery is calm and enjoyable. The place itself is quite inspiring. There's some trails, restaurants, souvenir shops. Parking is paid - 5BGN, but it's a question of lick whether you'll find a spot there. It is definitely worth the visit. Recommend.

Amazing temple. Beautiful designs. The way to the monument is great. The toilets are awful and smells very bad. They collect 5 lev. For the parking, too high.
salame zahereldeen — Google review
A beautiful monastery from the tenth century, UNESCO world heritage site. Everything is big and impressive and colorful, and it's worth coming here even if you're not in the area. The entrance is free, the parking is not free and behind the monastery there is a bakery that sells a classic Bulgarian pastry (Mekitsa) that you need to try while you're here
Shachar Pinkas — Google review
Super worthy visit, the most beautiful frescos I ever seen. Entrance is for free, you need to dress accurately to enter ( no shorts or showing shoulders ), there are little fountains with drinking water and few toilets. There is also a small bakery in the other side outside the monastery, she speaks Spanish and they take euros too if you don't have Bulgarian cash (they don't take cards)
Beatriz Garc?a Mart?n — Google review
I had visited Rila a couple of times before, but this time was special .. Some scenes and traditions are just different from any other monastery.. We got back in time to 1873 year old.
Just one concern , 😟
The public bathroom must be renovated asap .. 🙏
Lighting candle, hearing the prayers, the bells 🔔 of the church and many other things made me feel like crying..

A Sofia must visit if you're in Bulgaria. Located a short distance from downtown, this is a truly magnificent place.
An ancient Orthodox Christian monastery that has some beautiful architecture, murals, craft work and more. You can walk around and take in all sights and explore the mountains too. The painting in the main building is truly amazing.
Grab some snacks if you get hungry too.
Free entry. Donations are welcomed. Please dress respectfully
Joe Macpherson — Google review
Just amazing. Worth the drive and the wander. Be sure to get the ‘breakfast’ bread from the back of the monastery. There is also a restaurant and more parking back there. We arrived around 1230 and it was very busy and chaotic. By 2 it was 1/2 the people.
Ninette — Google review
Worth day trip when visiting Sofia, best for us was taking an organized tour in a small group with a tour guide (in our case Traventuria). The frescos in the Monastery are very well preserved and they are restoring some of them, you can even stay the night in there.

Such an amazing place to visit, peaceful and beautiful. The journey till there takes around 2 hours from Sofia but completely worth it.
Super interesting place, interesting history...definitely an obligatory stop if you visit Sofia.

You should definitely buy the combo ticket with visits to the museum, the kitchen, guest rooms, ethnographic museum and the tower! For 20 leva (10€) per person, you get the private tour to a huge kitchen complex, then upstairs some magnificent rooms with wood carving and painted ceilings, local clothes per region. Then climb the tower which is the oldest building (in 1300's) with beautiful fresco on the top floor!
Yich Hg — Google review
I am giving 4 stars because there's no bank machine at the restaurant / souvenir shops outside of the monastery walls and they don't have any way to use credit or debit cards. however, it was an amazing place to visit just bring cash with you
Davin Wright — Google review
‼️BRIEFLY 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I think it has been probably one if not the best building I ever visited.
It has bright colors that against the green of the mountains around allow it to float in the space.
You cannot visit the houses of the monks but you have the option to visit a museum and the church.
The church is kinda dim but it is brightly covered on the outside walls by beautiful paintings.
❗KEEP IN MIND: getting here is not easy. I would recommend getting a car for one day as organized tours are quite expensive.

Beautiful monastery nestled in the woods of Bulgaria.
We arrived from Sofia, with a rental car, it's not too far away: an hour and a half journey, through the beautiful landscapes of Bulgaria.
The monastery is stupendous and has a mystical air, it is still inhabited by monks. Outside the secondary door of the monastery there is a pleasant path that leads to the ancient cemetery where the monks are buried, a quiet place because few people go there. Recommended visit!
André A. Duiella — Google review
A scenic drive from Sofia taking approximately 1.5 hours into the Rila Mountains. Arrive early to avoid the bus loads of tourists!
The church is covered in incredible paintings, many of which have been restored to bring out their bright colours. Keep a look out for the icon to the left as you walk in which includes the relics of many saints.
Having a guide will be advantage to learning the history of the place and seeing the main highlight. There is a fee to enter any of the museums.
NSLondon — Google review
Amazing place... Really shows how the eastern churches haven't changed much over 1000s of years. The similarities between this monastery and any Coptic monastery in Egypt are striking...
Michael Habib — Google review
Highly recommended. We went via a tour from Sofia and loved our time there. It is now a bit touristy, but truly is a beautiful place with the frescoes and natural scenery. We skipped the museum just given the tour’s timing, but spent time looking more closely at the church and frescoes, went up to the tower (just ok), and ate the infamous meketse pastries with jam and honey (super tasty). Note this is just outdoor seating.
Facility wise there are toilets but note they are squatty potties without paper so bring your own. There is also a bookshop, souvenirs, and not overly busy car park (in March at least).
Becky T — Google review
Very nice and peaceful place. Must go if you are going to sofia on vacation. Getting there is difficult without a private transport or trip planners. We rented a car which was quite cheaper than day tours.

No wonder this is a UNESCO World Heritage! Rila Monastery is an absolute must-see if you happen to visit Bulgaria! This place is magical, very hard to describe in words or display in pictures, you have to feel it! It is cultural gem, very spiritual and an architectural splendor! I recommend that you spare a day here and also enjoy a few wonderful hikes in the area. Peaceful surroundings, vibrant frescoes, detailed murals, wonderful colors! Plan a day, don’t miss!

Visiting Rila Monastery in Bulgaria on a sunny winter day was a captivating experience. The serene atmosphere and stunning architecture left a lasting impression on us. The snow-covered surroundings added a magical touch, making it a truly memorable visit. Highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful and culturally rich excursion.
Access to ski runs in winter, plus hiking & biking trails & a mountain water slide in summer.
summer cable car 8am to 4:30pm, return tickets cost 30 BGN , sunny day great views.
Angelia Lee — Google review
Just like other reviewers, not worth to wait at least 1-2 hrs every morning.
Or taxi 10 leva person and shutter bus 8 leva, very long queue in the morning.
Plus when you up there, there will be queue again at the ski lifts.
What a nightmare. First time and last.
Khanthana Sk — Google review
It's a gondola.... We were in Bansko week before Feb half term and after 9am it was mega busy, 30 minutes wait minimum if you don't have the magic queue jump pass.
Runs all day up and down with a mid station stop at Chalin Valog. Takes about 29mins to reach the top.
Tickets bought via crystal Ski so can't comment on the usual cost.
Kev Sutton — Google review
Bansko Gondola is one of the worst mountain lifts I have ever seen and it is not because it’s old. It is massively overcrowded. On a busy day you could wait for 1-2 hours to get up the mountain. So either you have to be very early (before 8am), either after 12pm, or you can chose to pay additional 15 levs for minibus service.
All the rest is pretty good, if there is sufficient amount of snow.
However we have spent great time with family in Bansko.
Karolis Zilius — Google review
Pros:
It is a nice place with great infrastructure.
Cons:
The fake snow unfortunately became ice after 13:00. Ratrack machines did not brake the ice. Unpleasant experience to skiing on the ice.
The gondola lift is the bottleneck unfortunately. The rest of the lifts are fast and there were no queues (except Gondola) 🚠
It makes sense to take a shuttle bus in order to avoid the Gondola.
That's why I give 3 stars. Mainly about the snow quality.
Klearchos Klearchou — Google review
Lines can take up to three hours or longer to take the gondola! There was only one ticket machine working, so I recommend buying your ski pass the day before at the windows, between 4pm and 5:30pm. Another option is to take a taxi up to the lifts instead of taking the gondola, sometimes it is worth it just to skip the gondola line.
daniela vega — Google review
This is more of a review for the gondola and main base area than the whole resort: Undersized, overcrowded, and poorly managed. 1 hour ques for skiing are ridiculous. They need to build a second gondola to reduce crowd size.
Having a season pass with "fast-pass" access through the back is the only saving grace from waiting in the huge line.
Snowmaking is fantastic and the nearby bars are great. Always fun to take the ski road home.
Zach Phelan — Google review
Wonderful view of the mountains. Just the right speed. Windows for clean air. The only downside was the ticket price per adult.
Nikolay Georgiev — Google review
The Gondola takes you up to Bunderishka Polyana advisable to get there at 08.00 or after 10.00 otherwise the cues are long . 30 minute ride with stunning scenery . Ski school , restaurants and the beginning of the Ski run ( Ski Road) 7kms of Blue Run ( I found some of it more of a Red Run in places - however my skiing was abit rusty ! , several nice cafes on the way down . Gloriously Sunny all week .
Gondola closes at 5pm for descents .
Kay Crane — Google review
Have to get there early to avoid standing in queue for over an hour. Resort was okay, but the gondola is a horrible bottleneck in the morning. Don't make the mistake of going during British midterm break, it is the busiest time of the season and the slopes are also very crowded and get covered in ice quickly.
Pihel Saatmann (Pihel S.) — Google review
Good if you have season pass. Without season pass you can stay in a line for hours
Ekaterina Sharapova — Google review
Gondola ride is great for sightseeing. You can get tickets only for the ride if you're not skiing. If you're planning to get coffee or food up there, remember to bring cash with you, as one store we visited didn't accept cards.
Nicolas Sivridis (nyko) — Google review
Unfortnately very crowded when there are hollydays in Romania or Bulgaria. Otherwise is a good and quick way to go on the mountain.
Dani Bis — Google review
Excellent ski resort.
If the line in the gondola is too long, take a taxi to the top.
10 lev for each person.
Very good solution!!

Tranquil, medieval-era monastery attracting visitors for its frescoes & ancient architecture.
Rozhen Monastery “St. Nativity of Mother of God” is one of the few medieval Bulgarian monasteries well preserved until today. And there is No doubt its one of the most beautiful and peaceful places we have ever visited.
Eve Navaie — Google review
If you are planning a trip to southwestern Bulgaria don't miss Rozhen monastery! It's 5 min by a car from Rozhen village and 20 min by walking. If you are staying the night in Melnik you can hike to the monastery for 3-4 hours.
It is one of the few medieval Bulgarian monasteries well preserved until today. The monastery is a must-see destination for anyone interested in history, architecture, or religion. It's believed to be founded in 13 century and you can see frescoes that are still preserved from 16 century.
We went there during Easter and it was amazing experience. You can not make pictures inside the monastery. When you go inside you will see the big icon of “The Holy Virgin Portaitissa“. It's a copy of Virgin Mary icon that was found in the sea by monks from Mount Athos.
“The Holy Virgin Portaitissa" is a really old icon . It was painted in 1790 and it's believed to be miraculous and healing. People from the whole country come to pray to the “Holy Virgin Portaitissa” to bring them health.

Tips for Visitors:
Wear modest clothing that covers your shoulders and knees.
Be respectful of the sanctity of the site.
Consider making a donation to support the monastery's upkeep.
Combine your visit with a hike to the Melnik Earth Pyramids for a truly unique experience.

I took the trail Melnik - Rozhen monastery. It is a great walk, and the monastery is one of my favorites. There are pretty old, authentic structure buildings built in 12th century but demolished and rebuilt again in 18th century. There are pretty unique wall frescoes.

Uniquely beautiful nature, the monastery fills you with adoration and awe. The monks are very warm, cordial and hospitable with a delicate and pleasant sense of humor. One of my favorite places.

I love that Monastery. Whenever I travel to Bulgaria I always try to make time and visit. The energy is so peaceful, quiet and makes the needed space for a prayer\meditation\contemplating or whatever you feel is right for you at that moment. The surrounding views are beautiful and there's a lot of interesting information about the monsterie's history in both English and Bulgarian.
After or before make sure you take the short hike to Rozhen sandstone pyramids, it's gorgeous :).

It's a really underrated place to visit... Absolutely a must. The views are jaw dropping, the facilities are good and it costs nothing....you are not allowed to film or take pictures in the main chapel, but that was not an issue. Overall I would highly recommend ❤️🇧🇬
Tomas M. (Tomas985) — Google review
It's a great old traditional monastery, with great history worth reading about it, perfectly preserved through time. It's up in the mountain, and even though most of its rooms are close to visitors, you can visit the old chappel, the huge yard and some other places in the monastery, enough to get an idea of the peace and the harmony it is supposed to have. We liked it so much that we stayed in the yard talking and taking photos of the beautiful scenery at least an hour, because we really loved the serenity the place has to offer. If you value that feeling, I totally recommend visiting it.
Μηνάς Χρυσανθακόπουλος — Google review
By far the most calm monastery I have visited in Bulgaria. I have been here 25 years ago and now, a month ago. It is very well maintained and the interior of the church is magnificent. One of the only places I have visited in Bulgaria where the candles are self-service and one leaves money for the candle and gets the amount of candles corresponding to the left money.
The young guy sitting inside the church was kind enough to explain to me why one of the icons inside the church has a donkey head in stead of human. The parking is a bit away from the main entrance in case you have mobility issues. I would definitely come back to this monastery. If you fancy buying souvenirs or local produce such as jams there are few vehicles parked on the parking area. Lovely view of Melnik hills from there.

Nestled in a serene setting, Lake Kerkini offers a diverse range of activities and natural beauty. The area is renowned for its abundant birdlife, making it an ideal spot for bird watching. Visitors can enjoy fishing, boat rides, and captivating views of the surrounding mountains and forests. Boat tours provide an opportunity to observe various bird species, including rare and protected ones.
One of the most beautiful lakes in Greece. Good for bird watching, as many spieces of birds both rare and protected exist in the area. Also fish variety, beautiful forests and mountains around the lake. Boat tours are available. Local people are producing many traditional products (i.e. steaks, sausages, milk, sweets) from Buffalos which exist in the area. Good accommodation options at the nearby villages (i.e.Kerkini village).

Amazing place with tremendous flora and fauna. I believe there's no entrance fee as it's an open park. You can take a boat ride that will take you to a spot with most wild birds, it costs around 8 EUR per person. The place is great to visit each season. In the winter it will be full of pink flamingos and pelicans as they stay there for the cold months. In the summer there will be a much greater variety. When the waters go down, you'll be able to see the cattle. Make sure to take the camera!

Having read all of the following comments and having visited this area several times I have to say that "Despite the abandonment", which unfortunately prevails by the competent people the place is worthy of admiration !!! Why..?
1) One of the largest and most important wetlands in Greece.
2) More than 250 species of birds and not only.
3) Surrounded by 4 terms: Beles, Krussia, Hook & Mavrovouni.
4) There are over 10 activities that you can enjoy small adults, some of which are: boating on the lake, hiking, hiking. 5) Located near the town of Serres and the town of Sidirokastro.
For a daily or even better two-day excursion, I would also recommend to visit:
1) Rupela Fort
2) Monastery of Agios Prodromos (Serres because there are 2 in the area)
3) Serres Town, valley & Acropolis
4) Loutra Sidirokastrou
5) In conclusion: May (We) be useless and we can not create and sustain anything, but it seems, however, that Nature itself is a struggle for survival.

Explore the mesmerizing Cave Aggitis River, where you can witness spectacular sights such as illuminated chambers, stalactites, and a subterranean river with a calm yet actively flowing underwater stream. These caves have been formed over tens of thousands of years and boast a comfortable 18-degree temperature. This underground experience is definitely worth a short visit and nearby is an excellent restaurant nestled amidst towering trees along the riverbank.

Having visited the Alistrati Cave just yesterday, we were hesitant to visit another one so soon. Once i read that this is the only Cave with a river inside i knew we had to check it out and boy am i glad we did so! Beautiful Cave formation with clear waters, you'll meet bats and even fish that live there. The cave is some 12km long, but only 500 meters are accessible to tourists. There is another cave that is included in the guide which were used by prehistoric people and also just the last century as a watermill. This is definitely a must see!

A lovely cave, so unusual because of the river running through. Walking inside isn't difficult at all. It is completely flat and the pathway is well secured. I recommend it for families with little kids, too. I visited with mine, 2- and 5-years-old. We spent inside approximately 40 minutes. The local guide was very knowleadgeable and since me and my family were very lucky to visit on our own, he gave us the talk in English.
The area around the entrance is shady and very pleasant for photos so waiting for the next entrance slot is pleasant.

This is one of the first cave/caverns I have ever been in, and if I could give it six stars I would. It is spectacularly breathtaking. It goes into the mountain about 500 m and you must take a guide. There is a river running through it, and it is the only river cave in Greece. There is evidence of bones from 30,000 years ago, but until they discovered it in the '80s, there is no evidence that any men have been inside. There are a few species of animals and insects that are particular to this cave which makes it very cool. They don't allow cameras or especially flash photography, but the guy was nice enough to allow us to do it.

The Archaeological Museum of Pella is home to a vast collection of artifacts from ancient Greece, dating back to the time of the Mycenaean civilization. The collection includes objects depicting everything from domestic life to warfare, and provides an excellent overview of the culture and history of this important period in Greek history. Visitors can explore the museum's exhibits in either Greek or English, and there are also several guided tours available.
We’ve visited a few different museums while we’ve been in Greece, but this is our favorite. Really interesting history/artifacts, beautiful building, and lots of information about Pella and Alexander the Great. It’s difficult to decide on a favorite, but the floor mosaics were really well preserved and displayed. The ticket was €7-€8, I think, and it includes entry to the archeological site as well. We arrived a little after mid-day and there was plenty of parking, which was nice because it was really hot and a long walk might’ve done me in.

Don't miss the ancient city itself.
Though the mosacis in the museum are more well preserved. A good map of all the sites in Pella provided by the museum could have been much help .

The building itself is not the greatest in terms of aesthetics, but inside it is very well laid out with plenty of information. The mosaics can be enjoyed from different levels.
Pity the museum shop was closed but overall a great place to visit.

The museum is awesome. Such an amazing place, full of history. Adult ticket costs 8 euros and you can go to the archaeological site too. Also, the museum is just the right size, not extremely big, not too small.

A very good Museum. They have quite a few decent mosaic but the most important things are the grave site jewellery and armour weapons etc worn by the Royal dead.

Very good museum. Climatized, this may be very good in summer. First you see a film, then the artefacts. Do not touch the metal door things, its so tempting. ;-) may be good to visit before you go an see the actual excavations. We did it the other way round which was also ok.

The museum itself is small and hasn't got anything outstanding, the real draw is the ancient ruins of Pella. Nothing much of the city remains, particularly the temple to the mother of the gods across from the Agora (don't bother with that). But it still fascinating to walk the same streets of Phillip II and Alexander III. Highlights being the baths and mosaics. I believe they're working still on the palace complex at time of this post.

I enjoyed this museum a lot, it had enough but not too much interesting information. The ticket was 8€ and included the entrance into archaeological site as well! A very kind staff is around too. Mosaic frescas were my most favourite thing as well as the 7min video in the beginning of the tour.
The Church of St. Demetrios is an ancient building that honors Thessaloniki's patron saint. It is built over the site of a Roman bath house and contains Saint Demetrius' body. The crypt beneath the church contains Dimitrios' relics, which are an important part of Greek culture.
The Church of Saint Demetrius, or Hagios Demetrios (Greek: Άγιος Δημήτριος), is the main sanctuary dedicated to Saint Demetrius, the patron saint of Thessaloniki, dating from a time when it was the second largest city of the Byzantine Empire. It is part of the site Palaeochristian and Byzantine Monuments of Thessaloniki on the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO since 1988.

This magnificent church was the highlight of our Thessaloniki trip. Walking in you feel the spiritual aura embrace you. Saint Demetrius, we were informed by a local, is the protector of the city. We noticed a line of parishioners to the left of the altar waiting their turn to enter the white round structure that housed Saint Demetrius’s picture. Speaking to two separate locals, one mentioned she prayed for anything that she needed divine blessings for, and another mentioned prayers were usually for the young as saint Demetrius died when he was fairly young. As we were about to leave, John who we were about to purchase a momento from, asked us if we visited the crypt in the lower level. We are profoundly grateful to this kind stranger. Because of him, we had the most incredible experience. We walked down the steps expecting to find a small crypt, but it was a huge ancient excavated site where the remains of Saint Demetrius was discovered (facing the altar, steps are on the right of the altar, at the back). We appreciated the English translations as the history of this religious site is incredible.

If you have a passion for history, art, and culture, then the Holy Church of Saint Demetrius in Thessaloniki is an absolute must-visit! This incredible church holds the prestigious title of being a UNESCO World Heritage Site and serves as the main sanctuary dedicated to Saint Demetrius, the beloved patron saint of Thessaloniki. It stands proudly as one of Greece's largest and most significant churches, making it an essential stop for any traveler.
Prepare to be enchanted by the stunning Byzantine architecture that graces the church's façade. Inside, you will be greeted by an exquisite collection of mosaics and frescoes that are sure to take your breath away.
There are a few hidden corners requiring some exploration on the visitor part and of course do not miss the crypt (basement).
The crypt is the place where Saint Demetrius was martyred in the early 4th century AD. You will find there a network of chambers and tunnels that were originally used as Roman baths.
However, after Saint Demetrius was martyred, the baths were converted into a crypt and a place of pilgrimage.
These contains the tomb of Saint Demetrius and few of his relics.
We visited the Church on mid week morning which was a joy as the Church was quite empty and easy to explore.
A highly recommended visit!

Probably one of the largest churches in Greece, not only in Thessaloniki, a true symbol of Orthodoxy. It contains numerous holy relics, including those of Saint Demetrius, icons, frescoes, mosaics and other religious objects of great value and significance. You can also enter the basement area, the crypt, where the remains of Saint Demetrius were found. For believers visiting Thessaloniki, a visit to this holy place is mandatory

The Church of St. Demetrius is the patron saint of Thessaloniki, it is among the most visited sights of the city. The building lies on old Roman baths. The temple was built in the 4th century AD. In the 5th century it was rebuilt into a three-building basilica. After a large fire, only the ruins of the present-day church remain of the basilica. This happened in 629-634.
A hexagonal tomb lined with silver is kept in St. Demetrius, and there is a bed on the tomb on which no one rests, and it is believed that the structure has a symbolic meaning rather than a real tomb.
Very beautiful place!

A beautiful building with an amazing crypt. A very busy church as there are many icons and the remains of St Dimitrios which has a constant line of those wishing to pray. The crypt is wonderful. The stairs are a little hard to find. When you enter the church go to the far right hand aisle and go to the end and they are just to the left. There are toilets to the left of the buildings but squat toilets.

It is a building that represents the city of Thessaloniki very well. We went during the service, it had a different and mystical atmosphere. It is a historical building that must be visited in Thessaloniki

I was lucky to be here on a Sunday with a baptism being held, it was moving and felt special. This is very much an active church, you need to be suitably dressed and respectful of worshippers. There are many icons devout Orthodox Christians were kissing and praying at. As a tourist it can be hard to see past the showy gold of the icons but take at least half an hour to walk peacefully in the church. You may like to write a slip of paper for a prayer for a loved one or light a candle. Whatever the weather, a good reprieve and space to gather your thoughts.

Very beautiful church service on Sundays - fully packed congregation with a range of local people (young adults, families, senior citizens). You can feel the sanctity of the church as well as the divine essence encompassed within the grounds. The incense used during the service was beautiful.
The catacombs downstairs are very fascinating as well. The staff could be a bit friendlier (not the people leading the service but the ones responsible for replenishing candles and maintenance of the building).

This would have been a 5 star review if we were not charged 1.30 EUR per person for a small piece of bread which we did not order and which is usually a compliment! I guess traditional Greek hospitality is a thing in the past in Ladadika.
Despite this the food was okay, not wow but not bad either.

Today, while having lunch at restaurant Marathos, our experience was ruined by the restaurant host, a man in his 40s who was incredibly rude.
He approached a table of guests at a nearby restaurant who were dining outside with their dog. The dog was simply being a dog, barking and greeting other dogs passing by, which is quite normal for outdoor dining areas where various noises are expected, including those from vehicles, animals, and music.
However, the host suddenly approached one of the guests, who was enjoying lunch with his family and baby, and made a completely uncalled-for and offensive remark. He stated that in Greece, barking dogs must wear a mask. His behavior created an extremely unpleasant atmosphere for everyone nearby.
As an employee whose primary responsibility is to welcome and assist guests, his behavior was completely unacceptable. Instead of attracting guests, he ended up attacking them, especially those who were not even guests of his restaurant. It's disappointing to encounter such a lack of manners in someone whose job is hospitality and politeness.

Aristotelous Square is a vast public square in the heart of Thessaloniki, Greece that is surrounded by some of the citys most luxurious residences and cafes. Designed by Ernest Hebrard, the square features an impressive view of Mt Olympus and was originally built to showcase the citys Byzantine heritage. Today, its buildings are home to a diverse range of architects and boast a grand rhythm reminiscent of the rue du Rivoli.
Really busy and buzzing Square full of action. There is a cinema nearby, the lovely beach, shops and restaurants alike, making it a hot-spot for tourists. Thoroughly enjoyed the area, stretching further to other busy spots without noticing the walk. I'd suggest walking around and searching your preferences on Google Maps to find the right food place, though I'd strongly suggest traditional restaurants. Checkout my reviews of restaurants in Thessaloniki. There are loads of things to see and do around.

An indispensable part of the city’s heritage. This type of architecture demonstrates how unique this place is. The only downside is that the government should be stricter with vandalism and pay more attention to damages happening throughout the years in an attempt to retain the area intact and beautiful. The square could also comprise mini shops or activities for the visitors, instead of being a large empty square solely used for walking. The area should be treated more as a landmark, than being empty and just surrounded by nice buildings and a bus stop.

Thessaloniki, a vibrant city with a rich history and lively atmosphere, captivates visitors with its blend of ancient charm and modern flair. The city's enchanting streets and waterfront offer a feast for the senses, making it a must-visit destination. However, planning a visit during the Christmas period may pose challenges, as finding a parking spot can be a daunting task. Despite this, the spectacular sunset over the cityscape serves as a breathtaking compensation, casting a warm and golden glow that enhances Thessaloniki's allure. Consider timing your visit outside the holiday rush for a more relaxed experience.

Nice open place. Beautiful ocean site. Shops and restaurants all around. Many of the tourist attractions are within 7-12min walking distance (Agia Sofia Square Church, Ancient Agora/Roman Forum of Thessaloniki, Agios Dimitrios, The Rotunda, Arch Of Galerius, etc). We had a 6hrs stopover, on our flight from Frankfurt to Athens, so we took the opportunity to check out Thessaloniki, the ancient capital of Macedonia! The airport shuttle took around 45minutes (Bey Hamam bus stop). Cost only 2€ pp! Taxis are available too. Everyone speaks English and very helpful and kind. The bus stop (we found) to return to the airport was 1 min from Arch of Galerius. Across from Holy Church of Panagia Dexia. Bus # (O1x). If you are in Thessaloniki must visit this place.

The very first step when you enter this square tells you that it is worthy of the name it bears, surrounded by buildings that are placed in a specific way. Came to Grecee from 16 Aug to 28 Aug from Singapore. A party of two people total. We mainly did a self drive with a small car to get around from location to location.
This is like the main square here and you walk all the way up, it looks really nice the first time but it gets pretty normal afterwards. The whole sqare itself gets quite crowded sometimes esp during dinner time.
Its quite an easy street because you can always re-direct yourself once you come across this square. There isnt alot of seating here and I've seen a few public restrooms as well but I cant say if they were clean or not.
The floor is made of marble and is quite smooth and nice

Aristotle Square is one of the most beautiful places in Thessaloniki. Basically, it is a little more reminiscent of Venetian architecture than an authentic Greek style of construction, but regardless, the atmosphere is wonderful. Great building and Tower. Not really white ;) Though the second biggest city in Greece, Thessaloniki does really feel smaller - a plus, I consider, for such a historic city. There are many historical sites all over Thessaloniki, many of which are not widely known. On Google Maps, just tap the compass to see these, filter by attractions and distance, it'd bring attractions near you and just explore.

The cost to enter the building was 3 euros. Nothing is written in English. You would have to pay for and audible device to listen to for the tour. Just FYI is to watch your head. Most of the ceilings and the entrances to each rooms are built for Hobbits. I did really enjoy the overall experience though. The view on the very top was beautiful. I would recommend to see this place.

It's worth going up to see the view from the top. I didn't find the museum as interesting. They provide audio guides in a variety of languages but these are far too long and the voice is rather monotonous. I already learnt about the history on various tours I had done across Thessaloniki, so I had a good understanding of the history and significance of the White Tower beforehand.

The Tower is a relic of the city’s fortification. Currently a museum of the history of Thessaloniki. The entrance costs 3 euro and you better take that audio guide with you (it’s free od charge) because everything is only in greek. Six floors of interesting content and a balcony with a magnificent view. Prepare yourself for some stairs (start a week before on that stair climber at your gym ;)).

A beautiful place with a panorama. The ticket (6€) includes an audio guide in 4 languages (English and Russian for sure), but you need your own headphones for the audio guide. This surprised me a little. There are a lot of installations inside, but everything is in Greek and an audio guide would help to understand more. At the very top there is a beautiful panorama of the city around.

Had to be visited as the main attraction point in Thessaloniki. The area around it is great and externally it is an impressive building. The view from the top is great but than again it is not hugely tall and after a few photos I assume you get down.
I can't see the appeal of the exhibition inside unless you are Greek speaking.
There is not a single English description next to the exhibitions.
Audio guide recommended by QR code was: done poorly and not good to walk through the exhibitions (single audio track per floor). You can't listen to it on mobile unless you had earphones on you or quickly each floor is filled with cacophony of multiple visitors listening loudly on mobile.
Google lens for translation worked on some exhibits but is will drain your mobile battery quickly.
This could easily be improved.

The most known place of Thessaloniki. The tower is dominating the area. Thousands of people flock on this area at times. It's one of the most popular spots in town for many reasons and it's the main city attraction.
The Museum of the Royal Tombs at Aigai (Aegae) is an underground museum located at the actual site of the royal tombs. It features a reconstructed tomb of a 3rd-century B.C. Greek ruler, showcasing treasures like a delicate gold crown. The museum also includes over 3 miles of funeral mounds and various other tombs in addition to those on display.
History and glory. Philip father of great Alexander continues to amaze even from the grave. Glory, attention to detail and the vast history of the man are only few of the reasons you should visit these archaeological sites. Whatever I write is an understatement to the feeling you get when you visit the tomb. It will take you around an hour to pass threw and then you can also visit the palace which is very near from the tomb with the same ticket.

The tombs themselves are amazing! Only reason for dropping a star is it is confusing what is and isn't open, most things are closed, and €12 a person is a bit steep when most things are closed. But the exhibit is really well put together and still a must see. We went just out of season amd the place was intermittently busy and quiet.

Along with The National Arch Museum in Athens and the Arch Museum in Heraklion I’d consider this one if the top museums in all of Greece. Beautifully arranged inside the burial mound. The entrance ticket is €15 but this also gets entrance to the polycentric museum a few miles away. Worth the admission.

Amazing underground tomb (Great Tumulus) that is the final resting place for three individuals: King Phillip, father of Alexander the Great, Alexander’s son and half brother. Artifacts from the tombs are on display and you can walk very close to the doors of the tombs of Phillip and Alexander’s son. Please be respectful and follow the rule to not use flash when taking photos as this degrades the treasures.

This place is full of wonderful treasures with real tombs and ancient armor worn by great warriors. The tour guide had an amazing way of talking about the stuff all around us that you would get really immersed and feel as if you where there inside the story. The museum is beatifully built and the representation of the items inside the tomb where very clear. It's nothing compared to the regular museums you probably have been. I won't spoil much, you need to see it with your own eyes!

This is a definitely must visit location if you are interested in Ancient Greek history and archeology. The finds from Philip II’s grave are astonishing and extremely well preserved. If you are around do not miss the chance to pay a visit and you won’t be disappointed

FANTASTIC! Filip the 2nd was that time the person who ruled the most of the "known land" ! The whole necropolia in this area was about 200 ha, where about 5 ha was dedicated to citizens of the capital of Macedonia around 350 B.C. Possibly the area sorrouning the Royal Tumulus of Filip the 2nd is 5 ha and there are also burried here about 35 000 soldiers of Alexander. Absolutely must-see!!! Many interesting information you may find on English wikipedia. Full ticket 15 Eur and 8 Euro reduced price. You must have document with photo to get reduction for elderly citizens. The ticket is valid fot the Museum of Royal Tombs and archeological sites nearby.

We went to the royal tombs after a long trip from Florian. The staff were polite and the exhibit breathtaking. The dark lights and strategically placed artefacts created a unique atmosphere. However, two things had affected us. The text next to finds was sometimes too small to read or easily attributed to finds. Also the signage and directions to the royal tombs were not clear.
Vasilis Tsamis — Google review
Very impressive museum of one of the most important archeological sites of ancient Greece. The dimmed lights offer a surreal experience of the tombs of many Greek Royals of the Macedonian Kingdom with most important Phillip II (Alexander the Great's father).

This is an incredible museum, they've done an amazing job in the way they have excavated this and allow you to walk through the tombs. I believe this is a must see if you're in the area.

It was absolutely amazing to see this beautiful prepared exhibition about Philip II in the original tumulus!
We forgot the time and stayed nearly three hours, one hour with a guide and two hours by ourselves to enjoy every detail and to remember everything in a close memory.
One of the best places to remember that Greek was a high culture and Europe and Asia share more than just "one" history.
This museum is a must for anyone who wants to understand history as more than just dust and legend.
Be aware of the opening hours!

I had the honoro to meet Professor Andronikos back in the early 80s as he hosted archeologist from around the world to view his findings and hear his story. I feel in love with Greek history due to him. I love visiting this place.

Excellent!!! The museum is built underground so you get the feeling of entering the tomb of Phillip the second as you descend. Lighting is kept low and only the artefacts and exhibits are lit, drawing the visitor in for closer inspection. The whole experience is magical and very unique. I highly recommend a visit.
Richard Stefanou — Google review
We purchased the tour through Ammon Express, which also took us to Pella. The exhibition of the Royal Tomb was great, some parts are very dark and I would recommend you watching your step. You could feel the history and seeing the entrance to the tombs was neat.

My visit to the royal tombs in Vergina was a magical experience. Archaeological excavations reveal the antiquity and wealth of the era. As I walked the corridors between the trenches, a sense of awe and wonder of discovery came over me. The presence of history is omnipresent, and the royal tombs of Vergina highlight the intense culture and exquisite art of ancient Macedonia. This experience will remain unforgettable, a unique encounter with history that lives on even today

The winery Ktima Gerovassiliou is located in Thessaloniki, and has a museum with a lot of history. The staff are very friendly and the wine is good. If you're visiting the area, it's worth going there.
One of the best designed wineries in Greece! Perfect location, excellent tours and a fantastic wine-tasting experience afterwards!

A friend took us to this winery. We took part in a 45-minute tour of the winery while the guide explained the origin of the winery and the winemaking process. Very interesting and educational. The winery contains its own museum as well as various sculptures by famous world and local artists. I am delighted with this place. At the end, we tasted wines and cheese on a sunny terrace with a view of the vineyards.

Nice setting over the hills of Epanomi. I wasn't convinced by the wines beyond the famous Malagouzia but I enjoyed very much the generous cheese plateau, the friendly service and the excellent atmosphere. Wine tasting is always a very unique experience and this was a worthy one.

We felt this winery has the best setup for visitors we have ever experienced. The guided tour is exceptionally well designed (and short of wine making jargon). The tasting (see photo) is a flavor experience. The setting of the winery and vineyard is beautiful. The modern art dispersed through the vineyard is tasteful. The experimental vineyard is a great experience if you are into grape varieties. The winery’s museum is the best estate museum I have seen so far (ok, Mouton Rothschild’s museum in Pauliac is also quite good). And the personnel is very knowledgeable and helpful. Don’t miss visiting this winery if you happen to be in the area and like wine.

An amazing estate with an exceptional wine museum.Especially the private wine opener collection. Highly recommended for art lovers too. The tour was informative, but the wine tasting session was really bad. We tried the ECHO wine tasting that includes different vintages of red and white wines... The staff just served us 7 glasses on the table and left....No info, no discussion, no hints or food recommendation about the wines we sampled. Not even a little booklet with info about the tasting profile of the wines. Big disappointment....

A hidden gem near Thessaloniki. I’m surprised more people haven’t found out about this place (but also glad). We have visited twice and both experiences were awesome. The first time (September 2021), we did the tour and then tasted some vintage wines. The second time, we sat outside, had some great cheeses and cured meats, and tried some more wines. The charcuterie is out of this world, the options were fantastic (ask for the holzhofer, you won’t be able to find it anywhere else in Greece except a small deli in Athens). The space is beautiful. Just vines everywhere, a really peaceful winery. The wines are amazing, and we loved how many vintage wines you can taste. The staff is very knowledgeable and they helped us a lot both times. I can’t wait to show this place to more people!

Had a great time at Ktima Gerovassiliou. We went on a walking tour around the vineyard, production facilities and museum with an impressive collection of corkscrews and other agricultural equipment (the tour was in Greek and English), followed by wine tasting (we went for 'craft your own tasting' option when you can select the wines you want to try) & some wine shopping.

A jewel winery 20' away from Thessaloniki. The estate is located on the top of hill outside from Epanomi, with great 180° view of Thermaikos gulf, and surrounded by 200 acres or 800.000m2 of vines. Within the estate you can find a cafe-restaurant with glass walls (to enjoy the view) and a fabulous wine museum which among all its exhibitions includes also an enormous corkscrew collection of more than 2.500 pieces. The estate offers tours for the winery and the museum. Congratulations to our estate's guide for his thorough knowledge!
Petralona Cave is a prehistoric cave full of stalactites and stalagmites that offers tours to visitors. Adjacent to the cave is an anthropological museum. Although it was closed for renovations until December 2021, visitors who made the journey had an adventure getting there as there are no direct buses and it takes over an hour uphill walk. The tour inside the cave took less than an hour, but the guides were knowledgeable and answered all questions well.
Easy access . Sufficient parking space. Clean restrooms . Helpful and friendly personnel. Self service canteen with seating area and low prices.
You enter the caves in groups , escorted by a guide. Not slippery at all ! There are a couple of narrow passages but nothing extreme.

This was nothing short of a magical experience. I cannot describe the beauty of the natural formations at this cave. The cave is very beautiful and attractive. It Is like Indiana Jones movie. But our tour guardian (as she calls herself) was rushing us to finish the tour in 20 min. Increase they don't offer any kind of guides unless you pay 100€ for a private one. So that's why the visit was like sheep crossing a mountain road - in silence, no permission for questions or photos. Pity!

We went one hour ago to the Petralona cave. The cave was spectacular, but there was not any guided tour. There was no time to see anything as you had to walk fast and in the meantime nobody was telling us anything about what we where seeing. Supposedly somewhere in the cave there was found a skull but even for that nobody told us where it was found.
And not only that but after the end, when we were leaving , we saw that the next girl that was entering inside was talking to the people and she was offering them a guided tour.
Really unacceptable all the situation that happened, they are only interested to gain money from the tickets and not to inform the tourists about the attraction that they have paid for.

It is great experience to visit the cave and the museum. Our guide Grigori explained a lot for the cave an the proces of creating the stlagmites and stalactites. About the animals and humans using the cave as a shalter rather than home. Its temperature is 17 degrees celsius during the whole year. You wont regret the visit of the cave.

Located at the foot of sacred Mount Olympus, Dion served as a holy city for the Macedonians and was primarily dedicated to Zeus and his daughters, the Muses. As one of the most significant historical sites in Northern Greece, it is highly recommended for visitors to Thessaloniki. The stunning landscape surrounding the site adds to its appeal as well.
Dion archaeological site in Northern Greece. Definitely the most significant site after Delphi and surely a must visit in case you plan to visit Thessaloniki. Amazing landscape at the shadows of mount Olympus, the mountain of ancient Greek Gods...

Awesome archaeological site. It's vast so even if you walk quickly you definitely need 1.5 hours. Lysh greenery, impressive canopy over our heads creating shade, lots of little rivers and small ponds. We visited ( 2 adults, 2 pre teen kids) early August 2022, at 18:15, on a 36 degrees Celsius day and felt the heat only dyring the last half hour walk. Signage needs improvement in the site. More paved walkways are needed too.

If you are an ancient history buff this is will suit you well. It is a huge sit with many ruins. Unfortunately it is very run down and unkempt. There are a few nice mosaics but mostly it is foundations with a reproduced small theatre and loads of foundations. There is an extensive excavation and maintenance program but it is not there yet. Nice to wander through the park but disappointing otherwise.

Very historic place. Not much left of the ruins but very interesting if you read the signs. Nice little museum with remaining statues.

Archeological site is like a huge park with trees, river and remains of old village, including 2 theatres - Roman (small) and Hellenic (big). Hellenic theatre that you see on satelite map is inside the complex, so you go straight to entrance, get the tickets and path will guide you throug.
After this site I recommend to visit the Museum in the city (Archeological site tiket price covers it as well) so the full image of old Dion will be even more close.

We really enjoyed our time here. I’d recommend stopping in if you’re in the area. You need about 1.5-2 hours to see everything properly - and I’d recommend walking the entire grounds. The bath house was fascinating. Some better placards and directions would make this site even better.

The place is absolutely stunning and huge! It is a true walk through ancient history.
Piece of advice: do not visit in July or August because the heat will melt you. We wished to spend more time in the archeological site, but we simply couldn't bear the heat and we gave up after an hour of walking in the scorching sun.

Victor Mihailescu — Google review
The Park itself is a place full of history and by itself an interesting place to visit. Unfortunately the place seems to be taking care of itself. Some visitors make it worse by littering the park. Plastic bags and cups were seen on the soil and water streams close to important sites there. This was shocking.
There is no guide, no suggested route so you basically walk around clueless until you stumble on some ruins. There is no folder with a map you can take, not even in digital format that anyone could download with a qr code, for instance. Instead, you have info boards and some are so damaged or dirty you can't read them. This place has a lot of potential to attract tourists and be an educational hub. Instead, you will be as amazed to see the sites as you will be shocked by the lack of interest in keeping them in good shape. Still, it's very much worth the visit.

It's quite a journey to go through the whole park, we even couldn't finish it. I don't know why but they didn't let us to return to one side of the park when we cross the street to the part with Roman baths and wanted to come back to the places before.
The area is huge, definitely prepare more time to completely discover all the sights. Several sights are not that breath-taking in the eyes of public, some of them are more interesting. The information boards are in Greek and English.
It's quite hot there during summer, in some parts you need to be prepared to walk some distance without a shadow.
There are several water sources to cool down which were nice.

Very interesting and huge archeological site, nice opportunity to take a look how ancient city Dion was organised, many sanctuaries with greek and roman theatres were in one part and urban area with roman baths and odeon in other part. There are also many remains of public toalets and beautiful mosaics and also nice way to see how roman baths functioned!

The archeological park is huge, if you want to walk around you're in for at least 60-90 mins walk. Quite tiring, I recommend the sanctuary of ISIS if you don't want to walk so long and the ruins immediately at the entrance, there were some impressively intact mosaics on the floors of the initial buildings that you can still see parts of. Please be careful to have water, there are absolutely no shops to get refreshments from!

There is a park with the river nice to walk and you can visit here the ruins of roman and hellenistic city, Dzeus Sanctuary, Demeter Sanctuary, Isis sanctuary, roman and hellenistic remains of the theater. This place was in the ancient time a sea port! You better reserve your time 1- h to visit ALSO archeological museum located in the village, where mosaics and monuments are present that was found by archeologist.

Byzantine Castle of Platamon
Mentioned on
Castle
Sights & Landmarks
The Byzantine Castle of Platamon, located in the south of The Prefecture of Pieria in Platamonas, is a picturesque 13th-century fortification that offers stunning views of the Aegean Sea. Situated on a rocky protrusion, it is considered one of the most beautiful and well-preserved castles in Greece. Visitors can explore this historic site and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
In a landscape of unparalleled beauty in the south of The Prefecture of Pieria in Platamonas, lies the Castle of Platamonas, one of the most beautiful and best preserved castles in Greece.
It is built at a strategic point, on a rocky protrusion, in the blue waters of the Aegean, in the area that fully verifies the name of the place: PLATAMON means "rocky edges on the sea".
It is worth visiting it even if you do not wish to see a castle because it is sure that the endless view to Halkidiki, the coasts from Katerini to Mesagkalas, west the village of Neos Panteleimonas and northwest the mountain Olympus will compensate him.
The distance from the parking lot to the entrance of the castle is about 300 meters.

Nice view and a well preserved piece of history. Dominates the view in the surrounding area.
Can be approached from the land via car or from the beach through a steep forest path. Unfortunately it was closed when I visited, but was still worth to take a look. The view is nice from the top of the hill it is situated on top of.

As a castle it comes with great history, the view from the top is breathtaking, but it isn't for sure comfortable walking on top of sharp rocks at the path until you get to the castle. It would be nice if they built a new path right next to the old one, so that people with disabilities may have access. Inside the castle the area is a little disappointing as if they don't care to preserve it. Overall it's worth visiting but it isn't easily accessible, make sure you wear boots and have good balance.

It has a spectacular view, the fares of the tickets are great (free for EU citizens under 25). It is good that after the exhausting journey up the hill to the castle, there are plenty of space to relax under the trees, so in the summer it is also okay. The only thing that I miss is proper exhibition-like experience: displayed information or visualized historical elements.

Well worth the visit. A small walk up the hill and you are drawn in by the towering castle walls.

I liked the experience - I believe it is a great tourist attraction and provides opportunity to sightsee in the area. In the summer it is open until 19:30 and the tickets you buy when you enter the fortress and not right away when you enter the premises. There are not many information signs but it is nice to walk around and see what has been preserved as well as the view from the top is breathtaking. There is parking, also discounts for families and children. There is no opportunity to climb in the tower so don't expect that.

Amazing place to visit. The top is full of trees and benches, so people can relax and rest while looking at the old architecture and walls.

Remember to take some water.

One of the best experiences at a beach I've had. The sea has crystal clear water, but I wan you it is cold :) . There are loads of restaurants all around that serve tasty dishes at reasonable prices. All in all I recommend this wonderful place to anyone !

Beautiful beach! Nice and crystal clear sea!
Unfortunately overcrowded.

Beautiful beach. Easy to park and good stairs down. There are also a couple of restaurants and bars nearby. The water is perfect blue and the rocks on the beach are really nice but I would suggest to use slippers, especially at the other beach.

A complete must.
A bit of a long drive down hill, but on a paved road in very decent state. Get early as the cliffs surrounding the beach start to cast shade early in the afternoon.
Great restaurant overlooking the sea next to the parking lot.
Nico B. — Google review
Fairly easy access with paved road all the way. Parking at the top and a medium walk down to the beach. Beware of windy days when the waves are tall! Tragic prices at the beach bar. 20 euros for two beach chairs and an umbrella! Bring your own there is plenty of natural shade. There is also a fresh water shower and a changing room.
Sotiris Zafranas — Google review
Totally overrated beach!
It's very narrow and in case of waves, the beach almost disappears. The little rock arch is ridiculous. The little booth which sells over priced food and drinks is also ridiculous. And to make things worse, they charge
20 Euros for a sunbed and umbrella
whiches is three times the price you pay on the beaches nearby.
We were there during low season and even then it was overcrowded.
We left after 10 minutes. Don't waste your time with the long drive to get there. Not worth visiting!
Jack Lobo — Google review
Rocky beach, not very large, so gets crowded easily. The waves may hit hard so don’t set too close to the water. Large cliffs to jump from for who’s interested. Rocks and small caves to explore for children. Parking not very generous also, so best if you come early. As a general conclusion, not to be missed. The views are spectacular from above and on stairs, even though it’s not the most comfortable beach in the area
Adina Iordache — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. The water is clear, warm and full of small fishes. There are some sun beds and umbrellas and a bar.

Woooow!
One of the best beaches in Pillion.
The beach is surrounded by nature and the sea is super clean with clear blue water and clean sand.
There are many big boulders in the water and kids are jumping from them to the sea and you can see bigger kids doing some extreme cliff jumping from high places. Between the boulders and it the cliffs surrounding the beach there are many caves and passeges that you can go through.
The beach is basically divided to 2 parts and the only way to get to the other side is through a big stone arch. There is a nice Cafe and showers in the middle of the beach.
Getting there from the parking area is through a path with many stairs that will take you about 3 minutes to go down and 6 minutes to climb back up.
Very recommended.
Joni Gritzner — Google review
This is indeed the beautiful beach. It is divided by 2 by the rocks and in my opinion, the 2nd part is even better. Water is super clean and that makes something special. However, the beach is a bit narrow and full of people. Better to come early. There is also a bar and restaurant there. At the time we were there, we had big waves, making it even more fun.
Lukasz De — Google review
One of the best beaches in the region. There is one bar where you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds, the prices are ok. There are two parts of the beach divided by huge rock, it is very interesting and nice. The sea is clear and has that beautiful mixture of emerald green and blue colors. There is a parking, and once you park the car you will need to go down to the beach but the path is easy, there is even a small caffee on a way down.

The Athanasakio Archaeological Museum of Volos houses a collection of ancient artifacts, such as tombstones, gold ornaments and sculptures. The exhibits are displayed in a refined neoclassical edifice.
When you first walk into the museum you would naturally think it’s relatively old style with high ceilings and outside lighting through skylights and bright lamps that reflect of glass. Also white walls with hessian backings. These days lots of modern museums are dark with close LED lighting focused on the objects. However what you find is something very special. Many of the most important objects - mostly in the Neolithic section - are actually not behind glass at all. That gives the viewer a real close and personal contact with the objects. And the Neolithic objects are quite brilliant. A very important museum to visit.
jeremy kalous — Google review
Closes at 15:30, 4€ entry, most explanations are only in Greek and only two sections of the museum are open.
Interesting, but not a must.
Nico B. — Google review
The museum was disappointing, even on a rainy day with few other things to do in Volos. The exhibits were quite interesting but poorly explained and not put into context. Especially for children it was not very accessible. Also the exhibition is much smaller than the size of the building would lead to assume.
Tobias Stapf — Google review
In the museum you get an opportunity to obtain hands-on experience of the life in ancient Greece. There is a kiln, where pottery was made. There is a tavern, where food was cooked and served. There's a dark room where treasures of a tomb are displayed. There is even a music room, where you can listen to different music instruments.
Part of a Palace and a theater are on display as well.
Not to mention the treasures of the basement. There's a giant foot of Zeùs and other interesting exhibits.
And in just 2 minutes walk outside the museum garden, you can see for yourself rebuilt houses of a Neolithic settlement along with the walls around it.
Elizaveta Rodina — Google review
I would recommend having a guide to help explain what all the artifacts are and their relevance to history. Thankfully we had a guide that was passionate about her job.

I visited it yesterday, 19 December. There are four rooms on the ground floors and a big one in the basement. Every piece of information, but in one room, is in Greek and English, making the tour truly educational even if you struggle with modern Greek. In one room
they could not switch the light on, so a lady from the staff apologised profusely, saying a few words in English as I was uttering a few words in modern Greek.
It is definitely worth a visit.

The best is the thermal outdoor pool but the spa treatments are expensive. In the room there isnt any cofee machine nor an electrical kettle. At night they turn on the heater too hot and dry you out in your sleep. The TV screen is too small and the team is not professional, only the manager is. Across the street are the thermals in the public beach inside the sea which are absolutely great.

Have stayed in this hotel several times in the past . As I was unable to get a room on a bank holiday weekend I kindly asked the reception staff if we could pay the admission fee for the hot springs . The lady with the long brown hair ( can’t recall the name ) started shouting at her colleague NO NO NO as if wasn’t even there listening . This is not a behavior appropriate for such a hotel and especially when the request is made not just for recreation but for health reasons. A polite way to deny is what I would expect . I hope the manager takes note of my review . I will certainly think twice before staying here again or use their spa services . It is a sad decline .

It was an okay hotel. Worth the 5 stars just for the size. Giving 3 stars because:
1.I asked for a room with nice view, I got one that had a view of the street with 2 trash boxes as view.
2.We had to cross over to room by passing by an underground hall (really? For a luxurious hotel?). You could see cars parked, abandoned play room filled with chairs e.t.c
3. Massage: was maybe the worst one. I booked for 3 people and this guy literally rubbed us (literally just rubbing) around for 1 hour. And I also paid 300+ € for this. Very very unprofessional for a spa hotel.

Eve N — Google review
Treatments expensive and poor value for money - pleasant, but nothing remarkable and priced at top tier international rates. The place has had a fresh lick of paint in the last year or two but that can’t cover up the fact that it’s actually quite run down and that thermal pools are dirty. Go elsewhere unless you are happy with three star service at a five star price.

On the Aithipsos promenade, there are plenty of restaurants, but if you walk right to the end; near the thermal spars, you’ll find this place. No waiting for a table, immediate table service. A menu designed with sophistication in mind.
This is an expensive restaurant to eat at, regardless of circumstance. But you’re paying for the highest quality.
The chefs are artists. Magicians dedicated to the high arts of culinary mastery. The service staff know exactly how to make you feel at home. In fact I would go as far as to say, this is the closest you can come to a home cooked meal on all of Euboea.
The menu specifically states that the chef learnt from generations of Greek grandmothers. I do not believe there is a better source to grasp mastery of cooking than Greek yayas.
Eat here. Every mouthful you will exclaim a “wow” or an “omg”. Well worth it.

The Temple of Apollo is an ancient historical landmark with significant cultural and religious importance. It boasts 6 restored Doric columns from the 300s BCE and has been visited by many over thousands of years. Located in Delphi, the ruins include the Fountain of Peirene, the Agora where Paul's trial by Gallio took place, and the famous Bema stands. Another famous Temple of Apollo is located in Naxos, known as Portara or Doorway.
Great temple with historic value, it takes a while to get there but the entrance is not that expensive and everything is well explained, I recommend going here with a guide for the full experience, the ticket is 12 euros and includes a visit to the museum. Both sites have toilets

The temple of Apollo was so neat. I personally found it more interesting than the Acropolis in Athens. The setting in the hills of Mt Parnassus made it even more incredible. The only downside was that the stadium was closed while we were visiting.
We went in the middle of April during the week and it wasn’t too crowded.

It is hard to imagine how this place looked at its glory. It took more than a thousand years to fully develop this site.
This is the most famous Oracle site in the ancient world. Has fallen into decline in 5th century after Christianity was officially introduced in Greece.
Tomek Ikea — Google review
Got there at 3:15 pm and was denied entry because last entrance is at 3:10 even though Google maps says 8:30-4:00 pm.
I came from overseas and drove all the way from Athens to see this temple, and the ladies would not budge to let us in, even though we would pay and had travelled so far. She even had the nerve to ask “what I was doing all day” since they open at 8:30 am. Ridiculous way to treat guests who are visiting your country for the first time.
Anyway, there’s a cool hike behind the temple that overlooks the mountains. Much better than just the temple and it’s open 24/7! :)

Delphi is a modern town located west of the ancient archaeological site. The town was established to accommodate the population of Castro, which had to be relocated for the excavation of the ancient Delphi site. Ancient Delphi, situated on Mt Parnassos with views of the Gulf of Corinth and surrounded by olive trees, is considered one of Greece's most spiritually significant archaeological sites.

The Delphi Archaeological Museum houses a vast collection of architectural sculptures, statues, and other precious objects donated to the ancient Greek oracle from the 8th century BC onwards. It is a matter of debate whether to visit the museum or site first, as both offer unique experiences. The museum provides visitors with insights into what the site may have looked like during its prime, featuring wealthy buildings and vividly coloured statues.
The museum is right next to the Delphi ruins and holds most of the (small) items found on the site and the more monuments/decorative stones used on the buildings.
The museum isn't that big and takes the general visitor less than half an hour.
Including the Delphi ruins this is a sight worth seeing.

Really incredible museum and building! Loved how the building stands on stilts overtop of an archaeological site with several places to view from. It's easy to understand why it has won so many awards with its thoughtful design that compliments the exhibits without taking away from them. Note that you are not allowed to bring backpacks into the museum. I was asked to check my backpack but it was free and an efficient system. No worries there.

Archaeological site and museum locate beside each other, just off the road. Finally, found a spot in 5 – 10 minutes’ walk. Since no specific parking lot provided, there is a chance, need to go back and forth to find a spot after somebody’s leaving. Staff were very nice and welcome. Site is located in the heights and good looking landscape. You would see different nationality, professional and nice travelers, interested in history. There was some information about monument but it could be more. There were some shops for statues and souvenirs with good price. Still there is a chance to negotiate. Local people were welcome to provide information, to help to find parking spot, and to show the ways.

Visiting the Delphi archaeological site and museum was an unforgettable journey into the heart of ancient Greece. The site itself, nestled on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, offers breathtaking views and a palpable sense of history. Exploring the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the theater, and the stadium was like stepping back in time, imagining the rituals and competitions that once took place there.
The museum, with its impressive collection of artifacts, beautifully complements the outdoor experience. From intricately carved statues to delicate pottery, each exhibit tells a story of the people who once inhabited this sacred place. The highlight for me was seeing the iconic Charioteer statue up close, its serene expression and masterful craftsmanship truly awe-inspiring.
The staff at both the site and the museum were knowledgeable and passionate, adding depth to the experience with their insights and anecdotes. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply seeking to connect with the past, a visit to Delphi is a must-do. It's a place where ancient wonders come to life, leaving a lasting impression on all who have the privilege to explore its treasures.

Incredible history behind an ancient center of religion. Imagine asking and then getting advice from a woman who babbled from inhaled vapors which then were interpreted by priests in a vague manner so as to allow the questioner to figure out the answer for themselves. And then the vast mini temples and tributes to the Oracle...
It blows the mind as to how powerful and influential this place was.

Worth the drive - don't miss Delphi!
This was one of the best parts of the our Greek trip! Delphi is so beautiful and magical. It was worth the two hour drive from Athens. We took a tour with Getaways Greece which was a day trip. The vistas were just beautiful on the drive. Once you get to Delphi it's like you're transported to somewhere magical! I loved it better than Acropolis which was so touristy. The crowds were sparse here and it was lovely to take in the sites at your own pace without being herded like cattle.
Mind you it does take a bit of walking if you want to get to the top to see the stadium. But even if you don't go all the way to the top it is still a beautiful place to visit and you can still get a lot out of it without going to the top. Wear comfortable shoes.

This museum wasn't too bad, especially since the ticket to the Sanctuary of Apollo came with the museum ticket. Great place to visit if you're in the area. Plenty to see and learn during this site.
The path is nicely laid out, and you should be able to see everything should you follow the correct path.
The archeological site also offers an amazing view of the mountains, especially as you get higher towards the stadium.
The ticket price also offers entry into the museum, which offers historic displays and artefacts from the archeological site.
Don't forget to visit the other two archeological sites just a little further down the road (gymnasium and Athena... Something - should be visible on Google Maps).
Walkable to and from the town of Delphi as well, so you can definitely spend a good few hours there, wandering around and learning about this site and its historical importance.

You can visit this amazing place from parking to peak in an hour. And if you do, you're cheating yourself. If you don’t want to leave with regrets, commit at least four hours for this exploration of antiquities and yourself. We were on a private tour. It was supposed to be a small group of 6 to 8 people. But we were the only customers that day so it was my partner, myself, our guide and our driver. It was perfect! Do not, I repeat, do NOT book a large group tour! You will be one of 60 people wearing a headset, separated from everyone, in your private purgatory, trying to stay within range of your distant guide’s transmission. But don’t trust me. “Know thyself.” Know for yourself. Visit & form your own opinions.

It is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and situated between the towns of Distomo and Kyriaki, about 23km southeast of Arahova. The monastery comprises two churches, including the principal church that houses some of Greece's most exceptional frescoes from the Byzantine era. Visitors are expected to dress modestly (no shorts).
Amazing exemple of Byzantine culture and religion. Now we can see not only perfect wall frescoes and mosaic from X cent., but also olives maschine, monastic garden, cells, cemetery. The place of cult of St Luka of Steira from IX/X cent.

We saw this monastery a few days after the area had been ravaged by wildfires. The air still smells of the burning. The monastery was saved but some side buildings were burnt as the fire came to the very edge of the ancient property on Mount Parnassus from the 11th century (modern by Greek standards).
We loved the church and the artwork across the property. It has an amazing history and contains the tomb of the founder, now Saint Luke. Great gift shop.

Roughly 40 minutes drive from Delphi.
Worth a visit for the lovely mosaics and murals and the amazing views. But a number of areas that seemed like they normally would be open were closed off. Admission appeared to be free unless you wanted to visit the museum building, we paid to be nice (only 4 euros each) but skipped it since we were short on time. There’s a small snack and museum shop on site.

Beautiful and peaceful setting in the mountains in Greece. Absolutely worth a visit if you're already headed to Delphi.

Beautiful place, an amazing church, almost like Agia Sophia in Istanbul. The mosaics are wonderful with gold from Ravena.
I would have like more time to explore the monastery. Well worth the visit, even if not the religious kind to appreciate the architecture.

Neat little monastery to check out. I would have loved more information on the saint it is dedicated to, but a beautiful place.

The first octagonal byzantine church with combined with a complex of churches and crypts and extraordinary mosaics. The church is included in the catalogue of Unesco. Amazing views, tranquil environment and amazing people

A true highlight of the day trip to Delphi. If you are on an organized tour, make sure they allot at least an hour to view everything.

Sublime and well preserved monastery, with breathtaking view over the olive trees landscape. My tips :
*/ better visit at the end of day, when the sunlight is warmer and fewer visitors on site
*/ don’t forget to visit the “olive press” part, a bit hidden at the end of the visit

Peace and Beauty. Absolutely a marvelous holy place, quiet and serene with amazing views and lovely people. I was so welcomed at mass, the locals noted my quiet awe at where they worshipped that after mass a local walked me to the icons the resting place of thier Saint and despite a language barrier I knew and she conveyed the special place this was. Thank you Greece, I arrived a guest and left like family.

We visited Hosios Loukas from Meteora on our way to Athens. Located near the town of Distomo, it is a nice stopover although the road condition was not always good. This is definitely a scenic monastery in the valley, and I saw l lots of olive trees and grapes on the way. The ticket is just 2 euros, but you definitely need your own car to come all the way here.
The Old Evripos Bridge, also known as the Chalkida Old Bridge, is a charming arched traffic and pedestrian bridge that was constructed in 1962 to connect the island of Evia to mainland Greece. It spans the Euripus Strait and offers stunning views both during the day and at night. The bridge is a popular attraction in Chalkida, offering visitors the opportunity to take leisurely walks along the waterfront esplanade or drive across its expanse.
The Chalkida Old Bridge is an absolute gem that is definitely worth a visit! The sunset views with all the lights illuminating the bridge create a magical ambiance. Taking a leisurely walk along the pathwalk surrounded by restaurants and bars adds to the charm of the experience. It was the perfect spot for us to stay and avoid going to Athens for an early flight. If you're looking for a picturesque and convenient location, the Chalkida Old Bridge is a must-visit destination. Don't miss the opportunity to soak in the breathtaking scenery and enjoy a memorable time by the bridge!

Small bridge over Europe’s Strait water. Bridge opens up for sailing boats which is popular among locals and tourists. Euripus Strait is a narrow channel of water separating the Greek island of Euboea in the Aegean Sea from Boeotia in mainland Greece. Many popular restaurants are along the water, close to the bridge.

The famous bridge of Chalkida and Evia, one of only 2 bridges that connect tge island with the mainland of Greece.
This bridge have a long history because of the water under it witg every few hours the flow change sides.
Every day (each time in different hour) the bridge is opening and boats are passing

A beautiful city, a historic bridge, the phenomenon of sea water under the bridge, a mild climate. An ideal place for the most famous inhabitant of Chalkida Aristotle.
Museum with a courtyard exhibiting ancient sculptures, pottery & other excavated objects.
The light in this site is unbelievable. Some mystery out of the marbles. Staff in entrance was very polite and informative. Also in the museum. Guides can be arrange also. Acoustic guide would be an extra and will add to the experience. Wooden corridors and stairs needs repairing also some information map with instructions on how to walk the site in a the best way will be very welcome. If you visit with small kids keep them on sight and better by hand because some old caves and wells do exist and some walls are very high and unprotected. Overall is a jewel in Elefsis, with obvious historical interest but also and very charm place to visit especially afternoon before the sunset.

It was very hot. No shade, just if you bring children. The informationbords was very uninformativ. In generel greek museums need to inform more. Both religion, historic and myth. In the museum There was No timeline or explanation to the very beautiful miniature sculpture. i could have used something to understand what i was looking at. But the sculptures, the doric colm - All very beautiful. I would go on a weekend or after 16:00. There is a school close by. And aparently they look after kids by yealling in a megaphone📣 that ruiend it a bit for me, because IT was difficult to Imagine how IT must have been with a man yealling at the kids All the time.

Club Hotel Casino Loutraki is an elegant and sophisticated beachfront hotel offering beautifully decorated rooms and suites. The hotel boasts of top-notch amenities such as a luxurious spa, two restaurants serving delectable cuisine, and even a casino to keep guests entertained. Its location along the promenade leading to the city is perfect for exploring the area, with all areas kept impeccably clean. Guests can indulge in relaxing and rejuvenating treatments at Oasis Aqua Spa, which caters to both adults and children.
Really loved my stay here! Such a great hotel - the rooms could have a different layout but still amazing 💙
The location is good - by the promenade that takes you to the city, all areas are clean and the breakfast and dinner have amazing tastes.
But that's not all, the personnel are amazing, such a lovely experience 🌈

Very beautiful hotel, interiors are just top notch. The forte of this place is the casino which stays open till late night, when we were there it was open till 5 am.
The vibes are beautiful, the direct view of the sea also gives romantic vibes. Plenty of places to seat and experience the sea waves.
Food dine in area is huge and this hotel has beautiful conference rooms for work or parties.
You can go out for a walk as well, many small shops can be found for souvenir shopping.

The 13euro per person buffet restaurant is totally recommended.
If you visit the area for multiple days go to the casino everyday to redeem your free perks & bonuses (6 first visits in a 6 month period).
At peak time the toilets can be cleaned more often.

It wouldn't be fair to rate the area around the hotel, when writing about a hotel itself but the previous comment is kind of true, the surrounding (roadside) are sad.
As for spa itself it's wonderful, the sauna is just right and the sauna view is amazing and it gives really a nice feeling to dive into a fresh sea right after.
We've booked our stay with breakfasts and dinners as well and I can't mention anything bad about the food either.
The big minus is a bad mannered society and some parents visiting the hotel with children who have absolutely no respect to others in public places neither show this respect themselves 👎👎👎
The place is obviously better for those seeking the good sauna - spa place close to Athens:)

Was here for my honeymoon with my husband. Our travel company booked this place for us seeing it being a 5 star hotel. However, I would say it is far from.
The location is beautiful with lovely views of the sea and mountains. However, that is where the good qualities stop.
The room is very outdated and is not of the caliber of a normal 5 star hotel. I would put the decor, room style, and overall experience on par with a motel 6 or a extended stay hotel.
The room was also dirty. There was hair that didn’t belong to my husband or I on the sheets and mattress when my husband and I hadn’t even gotten into bed yet at all (we always check the beds at hotels before getting into them), as shown in the picture. The shower head is also extremely dirty as shown, making the shower basically a waste knowing all of that residue is going on you.
The included dinner was a nice touch, but the buffet style didn’t have much to offer besides the delicious desserts that we very much enjoyed.
After seeing the dirtiness we were very wary of anything else in the room and we’re happy we only had one 1 night here.
Would not recommend.

The hotel is outdated but in good condition.
Same goes to the rooms which have the benefit of being spacious.
The breakfast room was not what one would expect from a seaside hotel. Wide selection of moderate quality.
What is unacceptable is that you will be charged for your coffee unless you are happy with the offered filter coffee.
Opening the breakfast at 7:30 is late for business travellers.

Maybe one day was very high standard hotel, the place is still very nice with pool on the sea and private beach (plus spa and gym), however the structure is dated, rooms clean and well tide up but nothing really extraordinary. Personnel is kind always available in case of need.

Area surrounding casino looks like its war torn. The city must do something to clean up the area. Casino needs some attention. Old broken slot machines and ripped up and broken seats. Casino entry and lines are a hassle. Back home the Loutraki casino would rate below a truck stop. Again the city should do something about the immediate area. The casino is trying but the city is not helping make the area attractive to tourist. Rooms were very comfortable and clean but a bit small. Big TV and many channels was a plus. Food options and quality at buffet was bad. The small store is hardly open. Imagine waiting for someone to show up to open a store an hour late. I counted four dogs sleeping and wandering at the entrance. Nothing new as I've seen dogs at the entry for several weeks. Mascots? Pool area is nice and food served outdoors was pretty good. I would stay there again but I wouldnt eat at either buffet. It is way overpriced and the food not so good. The city should show it's appreciation for having such a resort in the area. Loutraki used to be one of the cleanest and nicest places to spend the summer. Maybe if the city helped out the casino will make an effort to upgrade the site. Underground parking ceiling is very low. I've never seen such a thing. Broken elevators and toilets. A little attention is all that's needed. Not too much. The city has lots of work to do.

Great hotel on the beach. Not being casino regulars, we nevertheless found the beach and town walks, beautiful indoor gardens and outdoor pool very impressive. The restaurant does not offer a special variety of dishes, but everything is very tasty.
The rooms are not new, but clean and very well maintained. Our only problem with the safe was solved in just 5 minutes, which left us pleasantly surprised.
We used the hotel as a base for traveling around Loutraki and the surrounding area. We recommend this hotel.

All tourists avoid! You might be denied access if double vaccinated or recovered. The personnel is not knowledgeable of the covid rules for tourists. I landed today to celebrate the birthday party of my father by having a nice dinner at the restaurant and they denied entrance because the recovery certificate was of 4 months while the law says that that it is up to the validity of the certificate of the issuing country and up to 180 days. They claimed that here is Greece and there are different rules obviously not been aware of ΚΥΑ 6757/2022 and 8681/2022 of Greek law. By the way i am also vaccinated but again they had no idea of the validity. Extremely bad experience. Casino is not for tourists apparently.

Great weekend at Loutraki. My family (including a 6-yo boy) stayed in the hotel for one night including a half-board option. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The hotel also. Unfortunately the indoor pool wasn’t so clean the second day. We arrived on Saturday and used the indoor pool and it was perfect. The half-board food option was overpriced. You can find great restaurants in a walking distance with better food quality and comparable prices.
A rather disappointing issue was also the pool management as the rules were not fully enforced.

The whole resort is simply "relaxing".
The food, for a buffet, was really good. Ten times better than those found at other all inclusive resorts.
For me, however, the highlight was the bar/lounge. I fell in love with their "Mastiha fresh" drink.
Their spa facilities and services were on the ball as well.

Update: after I bought trousers and socks the did let me in.
I came to the casino after talking to them 1 hour before arriving. They didn't let me in because I wear shorts and flip flops. I asked them to check if I can enter only this time like this. They refused. Poor customer experience.

The location is truly magical the facilities although unattended and long time out of service are still great. The casino is downstairs and provide a plethora of games and lot of perks for the players.
In general there is a lot of room for improvements in operating but its well worth experience for people excited by gambling, picturesque locations or freeloaders looking for free drinks cheap food and shot of winning cash without spending a penny.
Philanthropical institution for the super-stingy.

Oceano restaurant fine dining at its best. Attention to detail .
It's a yes from me !
Shame the gym and pool does not open until 9.00am
Just stopped this weekend, the Aquarius restaurant did not meet my expectations. The personal service we had in Oceanio was not there,. Ten of us in Oceanio and they just placed the appetisers in the middle of the table , when they refilled our water glasses often little splashes were on the table , we had to ask for more drinks when we had finished our initial order where as in the Oceano they were quick to ask , would you like another drink ?
