The castle is characterized by coral-colored brick towers and serves as the home of the excellent Trakai History Museum, which displays various artifacts from past eras including chainmail, medieval weapons, embroidery and glassware. During summer months, the castle's courtyard becomes a magical stage for concerts and plays.
Very beautiful place. Exactly in hot weather I am very recommend to rent a water bysicle and go across the island around the castle. I will love it, I promise you. For renting any water attraction you need a cash! Souvenirs in front of the main bridge to castle supports card payment. All restaurants also support cards.

Trakai Castle, located in the middle of a lake, like in fairy tales, reachable via wooden bridges that connect it to the mainland. My luck was to see it in frozen mode .. Even more impressive. It is surrounded by a park where you can walk. The interior of the castle is also very interesting and I recommend a visit.

Absolutely stunning fairytale-esque castle, visited in March and walked the whole trail from the train station and back. Castle is very interesting with lots of exhibitions inside, well worth the entry fee. Highly recommend!
Diana Currier — Google review
The exhibition inside the castle is not the informative. There is not much stuff of the castle preserved but the reconstruction still stay true to the old image. In wintertimes, it’s a very peaceful place. The souvenir shop is the cheapest among all the touristic place I’ve been to in Lithuania. Recommend shopping gifts here.

One of the best days in Lithuania. Very well preserved castle and also impressive museum. There's a lot things to do apart of castle like boating, swimming, flying, food is fantastic too.
Juris Podnieks — Google review
It is a 12euro ticket per adult but I found it worth it. There were many well illustrated rooms showcasing bedrooms, chapels, weapons, religious relics and treasures. Really enjoyed our tour. The place also have very clean bathrooms.
Kharuna Ramrukheea — Google review
Nice, mostly reconstructed castle with an interesting audioguide (€1.10 at the Android play store) located on an island, accessible over a bridge from the shores of the lake. The entrance fee of €12 per adult (as of August 2023) is worth being paid. The views are very nice, both on the castle from the shore and also from the castle. The walk around the castle walls is free.

Beautiful castle and well maintained.
There were lovely exhibits within the grounds and it was not too busy.
It was very difficult to travel there with a pram because of all the stairs and gravel but there is an accessible life so the venue is somewhat accessible but not fully.

I felt like i was back in time , such a dreamy beautiful place. Surrounded by water. It is a beautiful museum. About 12$ to enter. I enjoyed it

Very great place to visit when the weather is nice. The area overall is very nice and the castle itself has a very rich history which is enjoyable to look at and experience. Certain things were repetitive, but in general we spent around 2 (maybe more hours) just walking around. I think it's definitely worth a sunday getaway.

Definitely worth a visit if you are passing by on your way to Vilnius! The castle itself is very well renovated and true to its historical appearance. The various rooms of many exhibitions about the history of Lithuania.
Johannes — Google review
The castle is really neat but it was the priciest castle I visited throughout all 3 Baltic countries. 12€ for adults and it was also a lot of random artifacts that did not pertain to the castle itself. Still cool though.
Laura Cifelli — Google review
Some of the areas and rooms are not accesible anymore (I visited it few years ago) and it's probably because of too many tourists like other tourist places but overall its still a beautiful restored castle and I recommend to visit it. Most exhibitions and the history of items or places are explained in Lithuanian and English, few more are also in Polish and Russian languages. There's also a lake around the castle and a lot of restaurants and souvenir shops
Nequs — Google review
Beautiful castle, picturesquely located on a lake. Many different exhibitions about it's history. Lovely view of the interior. Really good souvenir shop that is not to be missed. Overall it's definitely worth visiting as a day trip from Vilnius.

A very well preserved castle that is worth visiting. It gives you a good feel of the past and teaches a bit of history. I like how they organised it so that you go from one room to another and get to see everything without wandering around back and forth. There are also some hidden surprises 😉

Cute little castle on an island in Trakai outside of Vilnius. We went on a Sunday and it was remarkably quiet and peaceful.
You cross a bridge over the lake to get to the castle island. You can then either pay for a ticket to see the castle or you can simply walk around the perimeter of the castle. We were short on time so we opted for the latter. We walked around the outside and didn’t see a single person in the middle of the day on a weekend.
We also got to enter the main castle gate and have a look at the courtyard without paying for a ticket.
Zubair Shehraz — Google review
Beautiful! Many historical antiques. It's probably too boring for children, but it's a fascinating look into the history and cultural development of Lithuania. Low admission price.
David Miller — Google review
This is a lovely castle and certainly worth a visit if you are staying in Vilnius or surrounding area. It makes a great day out. There is ample parking in the town and the castle is an easy walk. All the usual tourist souvenir shops are on the way.
The castle is in excellent condition and has a large number of exhibits from around the area over the centuries. This are arranged in the rooms, mainly in the main keep. They cover different periods in the castle’s history.
You can walk all around the castle, both around the outside and within. You can even rent a boat and go right round the outside. Some of the views across the lake are really nice, though there is nothing that really stands out. The gift shop is really good and actually cheaper than many of the market stalls in the village. I would certainly recommend a visit.

Beautiful castle on an island to explore when visiting Vilnius. It's an easy 45 minutes away from the city center by car. The museum shares information about the history of the area with the castle as well as the restoration of what the castle looks like today. Probably the highlight of our trip to Vilnius.

Loved this place- interesting, small but well done with basement and 3 upper floors that affords you fabulous views of the city for €3 entry

Nice to visit and see a little bit of history. The museum inside was small, but nice to escape the wind. The outside of the castle is beautiful. If you have some time to kill, going inside is nice but isn’t necessary.

Kaunas Castle is a calling card of the city) This castle is even older, but only a fourth of the original building remains. It was destroyed and rebuilt many times. After the Battle of Grunwald, Kaunas Castle lost its strategic military importance and was used as a residence.
Today the Castle is a must-see attraction for everyone who visit Kaunas. It looks well-kept but there's no interesting exhibitions inside. But still you can took a photo in front of the castle or have a nice walk in a picturesque place.
Iryna Panina — Google review
A nice tour in the castle, nothing extraordinary. The Castle is big, but the exhibition tour is relatively small. Recommend for a quick visit.
Mishal Almudhaf — Google review
The castle and the museum is so small and do not worth the price of the ticket. If you want to watch the view from the top of the castle you can definitely go up the stairs in front of the castle, you would have a better horizon than going into the viewing platform.

I saw in Winter when it was cold and everywhere were surrounded in snow. But yet there was a man sleeping inside the castle, have no idea how could he get in, and non-stop snoring loud like a mountain troll... Great memories.

Nice walk to the Kaunas castle even if it was snowing. There isn't much to be seen apart from what is on the photos. I didn't went inside cos there were some soldiers practicing around the castle.

The gentleman at the tickets stand was great owtner for conversation about history of the places. The visit is cheap and the castle is very representative for local rulers.

It is a lovely castle by the river. The murals around are so beautiful and worthy of admiration. You can enjoy walking through the park nearby along the river.

Really worth a visit. It is full of very interesting artefacts that are well displayed in their relevant settings. Superbly displayed and cared for, with detailed explanations of their functionality. Whole rooms are re created, you are transported back in time. Fun for adults and kids,it gave a good insight into Lithuanias glorious past.

Remains of a medieval castle, not much left but fixed up nicely. When we were there, there was two men dressed up as knights demonstrating how knights fought, very cool!

Lots to explore in this area. You can start with a trail to the view point of Kaunas then go through the castles whilst enjoying a variety of bars and restaurants, all walking distances from each other

You must see this castle when you visit Kaunas. It’s really beautiful especially during sunset. You can walk along the river and it’s refreshing. :)

Smaller Castle with great surroundings.
Only went to the outside of the castle and not the actual inside with museum. But I would still recommend just to see the outside and the surrounding park.
Since you have the Santakos park just right by and also the old city in close proximity.
You have very good views if you climb the castle stairs since you can go up there separately from the inside portion that's paid (3€ normal ticket and 1,5€ reduced)
If you're traveling by car you also have big paid parking very close.
Martin Palm — Google review
A nice historical monument that is in excellent condition. The whole area looks very good, also maintained thanks to small automatic lawn mowers. It looks very futuristic when they have a whole "army" of them. There is a nice view from the castle, there is also a park, amphitheater, restaurant and river banks.

Yes, the museum is small. Yes, only a small part of the castle remains and yes, it is mostly rebuild as only a tiny part is original. But still, you cannot overpass this site without giving a look when you are in the Old City of Kaunas. Besides the nice view, it gives an idea how the place was during the medieval era.
Nikos Gkekas — Google review
Absolutely loved this place. This place is full of historical landmarks. The castle is situated on the coast of the river. The information about the castle may be seen in front of the castle. There are statues and playgrounds around the place. Definitely worth seeing.

The Druskininkai Aquapark is a large water park that offers visitors an exciting experience with its numerous thrilling slides and waves, as well as more relaxing bathhouses and saunas. It is the ideal location for both relaxation and fun. Those without children can enjoy the quieter bath area, which features a pool, saunas, hamam, and allows drinks inside. However, it is disappointing that there are currently no bathhouse programs available.
Perfect place for relax and fun. If you don't have kids with you, you can go only at bath area. It has same pool but more quiet and peaceful and allowed of drinks inside. Also it has saunas, hamam etc. Really worth a visit!

With kids spent all day! Loved the place. Aqua park is separated in two sections. Section for families and kids and another for adults (entrance only 18+). There you can try different spa experiences (face mask, scrub, honey procedure etc.) included in entrance fee or have other extra procedures for additional cost.
Līga Zaumane — Google review
Was disappointing that theres no bathhouse programs and it unknown when they resumes. Some slides was under maintenance but 4 hours went by in a flash.

The best aquapark in Baltic States I’ve ever seen. The bath and sauna area just superb, with all their free of charge extra programs to enjoy your stay and relax properly. Wide variety of saunas to try and stay in one forever🥰 it is the quiet place with no kids allowed in bath area, so you can have your kids entertained in open area with river and pools, special kids area. Special thanks to the young man in pool bar and two ladies in upper bar - your attention to guests is heartwarming. The cafe in open area - delicious food, but quite rude and unwelcoming two ladies behind the counter, which stained the atmosphere and experience.
In overall - definitely going to come again, one star down just for the cafeteria.
Anna Romen — Google review
Went with family on a weekday. Pretty packed, but not overcrowded. Had some issues with entry with a 2 year old, which I needed to bring in carrying him over the gate - otherwise you can’t open the gate twice, had to ask for assistance to get in (could have been warned). Didn’t try the slides, but kids had good fun in the kids area. Convenient when it comes to the restaurant - you scan the entry card and pay when you leave. Had a lot of fun at the artificial wave pool, although it (as sort of an important attraction) Was a bit overcrowded. Overall - good place to spend some time with family. Youngsters did enjoy their time there and they do want to come back.

Our time there was amazing. This place is for everyone's liking, starting from peace and quiet in the sauna area and ending with extreme slides. There is a lovely area for little once, too. They can slide, they can enjoy a water fountain, shallow water, and even a big sandpit.

It could be slightly warmer inside. It was very cold even though it said 28°C

We visited aqua park on Wednesday afternoon. Not too much people, no crowding, apart from Bermudai slide, wait was 15 to 20 minutes. Not scary slide, just parts of that is pitch black. Azartinis slide is good for kids, and people who are not in extreme things. River around is with strong stream and be prepared that not always there will be yellow tyres available. Sea wave pool has 1.50 metres deep and really big waves, with 1.64m height don't step in there without tyre, waves will go over your head. Cafe upstairs, coffee €2, cold coffee € 3.50, beer 2.70 small glass, good prices for other food too.
Recommended to go on weekdays definitely. 3 hours more than enough for children.

Łazienki Park is one of the most beautiful places in Warsaw and is a popular tourist destination with a range of attractions including palace, gardens, amphitheatre and various follies. The park is well-maintained and peaceful and is perfect for a relaxing day out.
Beautiful park in the center of Warsaw, I advise all tourists to visit. Admission to the park is free, there are also museums on site, which can be accessed for a fee. The territory of the park is very large and spacious, you can take beautiful photos and just relax in nature. Peacocks also live in the park and there are many squirrels. Incredible place! 😍😍😍

Lazienki Park in Warsaw is like a quiet, beautiful garden in the middle of the city. It's full of pretty plants, big old buildings, and calm ponds. You can walk around, see historical places like the Palace on the Water, and enjoy the Chopin Monument and you will have a lot of birds , chirping sounds make it even more beautiful. It's a great place to relax and learn about history if you visit Warsaw. Toilet signs are not well placed, you have run around to realize it's within the hunting museum.

Nice place. It has different sculptures: par example, Greek. Famous female sculptor from Athens came here to create something called “center of the world”.
Furthermore, You can observe ducks and pigeons happily exploring the vast fields of grass. Ducks like to swim and approach people.

Came here on our trip to Warsaw for a bit of time away from the city. Was a fair walk from the centre but worth it for this peaceful atmosphere. I can imagine it’s beautiful in the summer but we still enjoyed it on a grey winters day. I was there during the summer and it was beautiful, a lot to see around , relax , breath the air and walk around. You can find some hidden spots to sit surrounded by the trees and nature . Recommend for anyone visiting Warsaw to spend a day here in nature and explore the history. However dogs are not allowed in the park. Heads-up for dog owners . Warsaw is generally dog friendly. A family day out here would be lovely. It’s kids friendly. The map is helpful so lay your hands on one of you can .

The Royal Łazienki (the Royal Baths) was one of those places in Warsaw that enchanted me completely! I am a total fan of greenery, and here in the very center of the city there is a huge, vast area drowning in greenery with charming paths, monuments, squirrels and walking peacocks. Contact with nature, peace, quiet, the opportunity to watch jumping squirrels, all surrounded by 18th century architecture. Everything was amazing there.
Rynek Starego Miasta, also known as the Old Town Market Square, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Warsaw that has been meticulously restored after being nearly destroyed during World War II. Surrounded by pastel townhouses and historic museums like the History Museum and the Museum of Literature, this square is a vibrant hub for dining, shopping, and people-watching at its pavement cafes and boutique shops.

00-272 Warszawa, Poland
I'll never travel to Prague without this trip planner again
The iconic Palace of Culture and Science building in Warsaw is a towering structure with plenty to offer visitors, including theaters, a congress hall, and private companies. The building was constructed by Soviet workers as a gift to the Poles, and its height - at 237 metres - makes it one of the tallest buildings in Poland.
I strongly recommend going on the observation deck in the Palace of Culture and Science while visiting Warsaw. The view is truly stunning. The tickets are quite cheap and there's no time limit on the top. The lift is quite fast, but even the short queue (~25 people) took us like 20 minutes to get to the lift. I recommend checking busyness on google maps before visiting.

This place is very special place to visit in Warsaw, Poland.
From this place, you can see whole Warsaw. There is a fees of 25 zloty for adult and for students there is a student discount.
You can see all big skyscrapers from this top.
For a normal people it’s only allowed to go to 30 floors maximum.
Inside there is a small restaurant type where you can have good food.
The view is just amazing.
Good during evening hours so that you can watch sunsets and also the lights switching on of different skyscrapers.
It’s super.

Really beautiful icon and could be considered some kind of second Eiffel Tower for Warsaw.
Even though it's a symbol of Socialism and could be thought of as just a Communist monument, it's really a well-designed Palace.
Definitely worth going to viewing terrace

Stunning landmark in Warsaw, boasting awe-inspiring architecture and a rich cultural heritage. From its grand exterior to its captivating interior attractions, including theaters and museums, it's a must-visit destination. Don't miss the chance to admire panoramic views of Warsaw from its top floors. Conveniently located in the city center, it's an essential stop for anyone exploring Poland's capital. Highly recommended!

Loved that building on my trip to Warsaw. Very impressive architecture style and dimensions. Nice photo subject at day and night. I recommend to go to the viewing platform in the evening while it's sunset and blue hour.
Dominik Schulze — Google review
The building isn’t anything special but the view from it is really magnificent, especially during the golden hour. I recommend to visit this place in the evening if you want great photos. But the waiting time was longer than we expected (around 20 minutes). That was because only one of six lifts were working. So keep in mind that.
Lucie ?panihelov? — Google review
The first thing you think of when you’re in Warszawa. Easily accessible thanks to the well planned transportation system in the city. This old piece of soviet architecture is truly stunning. The details in the building itself along with the views it gives from the top are just something else. I truly recommend visiting this palace to truly understand that grandeur the city played during its time and current history.

Had an incredible view of the city, was a very interesting experience.
Only 1 lift worked so was very busy, was the polish version of the Empire State Building in New York. I'm terms of iconic recognition, beautiful and importance however has a very interesting history.
Izzy Creative247 — Google review
Warsaw historic site. At the top of the palace you find panoramic views of the city which are worth seeing. In my opinion, the price of the ticket to enter seems a little high for the simple fact of using an elevator.
Anonimo X — Google review
Lovely looking Tower, given to the Polish from Stalin as a gift back in the day.....
Nowadays its a cultural marker in a modern city surrounded by nice and shiny high rise office towers.........its still holds its elegance well, and is a beautiful building to look at from below.
Going to the top, or at least some of the way to the top, one has to queue a little as its busy....... and with only one lift working on the day.....it did take half an hour to first buy a ticket, then get inline for the lift......
But at the top, the views are great, and one can see as far as the eyes can go of the city of Warsaw in all its splendid glory. Great views at the top.
Going back down again, another bit of a wait to the bottom.......another 20 or 30 minutes .......but I didn't mind really as the lines were moving, just slowly!
Worth a visit to see the skyline of Warsaw

This building is magnificent. It seems like the communist version of the Empire State Building. It is equally impressive and maybe more since it is not crammed in the city but there is plenty of space around it. Modern scyscrapers are around as well as the mall and train station my favorite building in Warsaw.
Panagiotis Grontas — Google review
Nice architecture/building in the middle of Warsaw, nearby the central station. The location is just perfect. The surrounding area is nice to walk around and even to visit inside and go up for panoramic view. Ticket is very reasonable, the view of Warsaw from above is amazing. Many restaurants/shops are nearby and next to this palace is a shopping mall. Get there early to avoid long queue but it should be fine.
Luqman Hasan — Google review
Terrace view was amazing, definitely recommend. Elevator was too fast and queue was passing quickly. If you are going to visit lots of museums, recommend getting warsaw-pass ticket, which cost 150 zloty for 24 hours. It includes 25 museums and other benefits. Bad part was that stuff was really rude.

An imposing and impressive building in the heart of Warsaw. Surrounded by gardens and fountains at various points.
I would recommend going up to the top via lift where you get great aerial views of Warsaw. Tickets are reasonably priced too. If you have time, I would recommend spending dedicate walking in grounds surrounding the building.

Nice view at the floor 30 viewing platform. They didn’t closed on time, which allowed visitors to stay about 30 mins more after 8 p.m. closing time. A place for the night view of Warsaw.

Really cool view from the terrace. You can get up there with the super quick elevator in 20 seconds. The building itself is interesting with art deco elements. Restaurants, cafés and theaters inside.
Catherine Baumgartner — Google review
For 25 zloty you can go up to the 30th floor. The view is amazing, but after that you really cannot do anything else. At the top there is a cafeteria and souvenir shop.
Máté Szél — Google review
An absolute "Must Do", when you visit Warsaw.
Ideally, you'll want to visit the iconic Palace of Culture on your first day and pay the 25z (£5) to visit the viewing platform on the 30th floor. This will give you a breathtaking view of the city and give you an idea of the lay of the land. The queue to the elevators can appear to be lengthy, but they move quickly.
Built in 1955, the palace itself is beautiful and quintessentially Soviet. The architecture is both impressive and imposing.
The palace grounds form part of a much larger attraction. The palace contains a museum of evolution and the grounds boast many beautiful statues, monuments and fountains within a spacious park. The palace is surrounded by other areas of interest such as the impressive Zlote shopping mall along with plenty of restaurants and other standalone shops.
The site is easily accessed from the subway (Świętokrzyska, Centrum and Rondo ONZ), and is about a 30-40 minute walk from the classic Old/New Town area.
Exploring the palace and its grounds will require several hours, so allow yourself plenty of time (at least a half day), to fully enjoy and appreciate this wonderful part of Warsaw.

For me this building is Warszawa. The first readily identifiable building when flying into Chopin. It was the biggest building rising from the destruction of the city during WW2. It is very much in the Stalinist style of architecture. It is usually well lit and colourful when it becomes dark. I love it and take far too many pictures.

Nice visits over Warsaw. However you have a big queue to go up and a big queue to go down. I could skip it if I was in a rush. Buy tickets in advance. There are two lines, one for the people that already bought the tickets and the other one for people who haven’t bought. Pay attention because when you arrive it looks like just a single line but it isn’t

Must visit place when you strolling around Warszaw city! So many part to be visited like the museum and the 360 degree point of view at the roof top. The cafe at the entrance also the theater!

Impressive building, viewing terrace
on the 30th floor with beautiful hall and ceiling, breathtaking views of Warsaw. Sadly, the weather was rainy and foggy, so I did not see much, but I will return another time. Not free (!?) Tickets should be bought to get there. Other floors are filled with offices. Good cafe and eatery on the first and ground floor.
This museum tells the story of Warsaw's 1944 uprising against Nazi occupation, during which some 15,000 Polish Home Army soldiers were killed and hundreds of thousands deported. The museum is extremely comprehensive, with displays on three levels covering the history of Warsaw, the uprising itself, and the aftermath.
I came here on a Monday and it was free admission. I really enjoyed the well curated exhibit that walked me through the history and impact of the uprising. I recommend getting the audio guide that allows you to hear the extra commentary about the various exhibits.
This museum is actually very impressive if you like world war II history or you want to have a better understanding of Polish people and their willingness to fight against evil during world war II. Highly recommend.

Interesting museum about the history of the Warsaw Rising. The museum explores the background and the future of the city and the rebellion. If one is not a huge history fan, the museum might get a bit boring after a few exhibits. We visited on Sunday, and the queue lasted around an hour.

This is a really awesome museum if you are interested in WWII, polish history, and military history. It is a pretty large place and took us a while to see everything. There are a lot of guns and artifacts from WWII, as well as a lot of personal items like letters and journals. Speaking polish would be nice, but there was plenty in English also, so I felt like I got a lot out of it still. Highly recommended!

What an amazing Museum. The story of those who came before us preserved over time lest we forget what the cost of freedom really means. If your in the city as a tourist this is a must see attraction and more importantly a history lesson for the world that we cannot remain silent when faced with evil.

Wonderful experience. So much information, historical facts documented. The museum had a lot of objects from the second world war, including telephones, motorcycles, some movie registrations. I would totally recommend this museum to be visited by everyone who goes in Warsaw. I would visit it again, if I will have the chance.

A great memorial dedicated to the human spirit of fighting against all odds. Very moving, detailed and systematic display of everything related to the uprising. The two movies are well made. Really liked the story telling divided over 4 floors. Good place for adults and kids. It's a traffic style of brave people like us who fought for something they believed and lost but told in a very engrossing way. It's quite crowded. Even on a weekday afternoon in August.

Very nice, bug and interesting museum. Important history of Warsaw Uprising August - October 1944 insurrection in Warsaw during World War II by which Poles unsuccessfully tried to oust the German army and seize control of the city before it was occupied by the advancing Soviet army.

This Museum is well organised, very interesting, well laid out, and has a lot to see. I was thoroughly impressed and enjoyed every moment inside. It is so well worth the entrance fee. It's a must when you are in Warsaw. We bought Metro tickets for the day for 3 pounds I think and moved all over town on the tram. Loved it. Warsaw Poland is definitely so European. I can't wait to come back again. There is too much to see for a long weekend. I also found Warsaw to be affordable when travelling on the Pound. I honestly never thought of Poland as a travel destination for myself, and now, I am excited to return some day. I loved my experience here. I felt safe, and there is order.
Come and visit Poland. You're welcome.

A nice museum with a lot of material to see. 30 minutes might be just enough if you are quick, but for some people even several hours might not bee too much. Depends how precisely you want to read through all the texts and such.

This museum was an in-depth dive into Poland and its uprising during the war!
I think it’s a crucial piece of history with details into specifics suffered in Poland and the incredible bravery mustered up by the people who refused to settle into the horrific position they were put in. It discusses the ghettos which was very interesting and something I personally didn’t know too much about
The museum layout was a little messy and the 3D fly through was a very interesting experience but was about a 40 minute wait for about a 7 minute film - wouldn’t recommend this
Otherwise the museum was a great one to visit and learn about Polands history! ✨

Great experience. Interesting museum, very informative and everything has an English translation. You need a few hours to fully enjoy all of the museum.
There's really big lockers for bags in the yard opposite the entrance. You need 5PLN coin to operate the lockers. I used a 50 euro cent coin which worked perfectly.
Free to visit on Mondays. I Highly recommend a visit

Must visit for anyone interested in Poland's WW2 history! It helps contextualize the country's difficult situation to a great extent. What I liked the most were the detailed descriptions from Hans Frank's diary of how the uprising was hurting the Nazis. If there's anything to improve it's making the visiting route clearer

I visited here on a Monday.
The signs are not clear on entry, as to where to get your tickets from🤦♂️🤷♂️
Being English, the ticket sign was written in Polish! In areas there was English written alongside Polish signs.
I had to get directions to find the ticket area. Oh its written as 'Kasa' a little building set on its own at the end of the courtyard👍
After all that, getting into the ticket office, I was surprised to find out it was free on a Monday! Result😀 so as I left the ticket office, I donated money into this huge glass collection box, outside.
There was no queue today, about 1.30pm.
There was no English tour guide available, so had to wander around and check out all the displays and read up on them.
It is another amazing part of Polish history! Solely based about The Warsaw Uprising.
There are so many areas based in here, all with written information or recorded vocal and filmed footage.
The struggles of the Polish people is truly upsetting, then the admiration and bravery of their Polish ancestors, fighting, sometimes an impossible fight.
The stories of support from other nations is commendable!
There is information here of the atrocities they went through, but the strength Polish men, women and children, even their Goats, supporting them with well need milk supplies😱
The stories of how they coped in the underground, then to try to fight against the strength of the Germans.
Living and moving through the drainage system, only to surface for well needed supplies!
The cinema room shows photography from an aircraft circling Warsaw after all the bombing! Truly upsetting😢 but admiration to all of the Polish people that tried to fight back!
Was nice to see the footage of Germans being captured and taken prisoner's after the war, some karma coming back to them, although the Polish were not barbaric like the Germans were.
You have to take several hours to take all the information in here at the Warsaw uprising museum.
I highly recommend coming here, just to learn what people have had to suffer and not to let it happen again.
Knowledge is power👍
I will have to go to the Tomb of the unknown Soldier again now, to pay my silent respects to all❤️

Great place to learn about the struggles and the resistance that took place during Natzi occupation in Warsaw. Obviously you go there to also pay respect and remember. It's a school kid age destination so you won't be there alone but it wasn't too crowded when we visited.

The exhibition is interesting and well executed, a lot of historical pieces and stories about the polish people during WWII.
I do think that the part of jews in the resistance against the Nazis during WWII should be told, as it was one of the greatest rebellions against the germans during the war.
More over, it is hard to look at the polish people as complete victims knowing that a lot of polish people cooperated with the germans in the mass murder of jews during the war.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at the Warsaw Uprising Museum. The attention to detail in the interior design is remarkable, truly capturing the essence of the era. I was pleasantly surprised by the wealth of information provided. I could spent an entire day engrossed in the exhibits, absorbing the stories and events that shaped the city's history.
Even though my visit was relatively short, I left with a profound sense of connection to the past. I'd strongly recommend allocating a good 2-3 hours to fully appreciate the experience. It's not just a museum visit – it's an journey that allows you to immerse yourself in the struggles, sacrifices, and triumphs of the people during that pivotal time.
The Warsaw Uprising Museum is an absolute must-visit, and I'm already planning to return. Whether you're a history buff or just curious about the past, this museum offers an exceptional opportunity to explore and learn. Don't miss out on this enriching and moving experience.

Unfortunately a great museum. Lot of interactive parts, with a well explained visit path, and the possibility to rent an audio guide for a more complete experience. Plan at least a few hours to completely experience the whole experience, as they also screen some movies and have a temporary exhibition on top of the standard museum that in itself is worth visiting when in town.
Jasna Góra monastery in Poland is a renowned spiritual site that was established by the Paulite order from Hungary in 1382. The hill on which it stands, Jasna Gora, is considered as the country's spiritual capital. It houses several remarkable sacred artworks apart from the celebrated Icon of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa. Pilgrims visit this shrine to witness miracles attributed to this painting in Lady Chapel, although there are other notable attractions too.
Beautiful place, I love it. The services are very often and also in different languages. Car park by the road next to monastery costs 7.2 zł (1.5£) per 3 hours. You can also eat very good food not far from the monastery. We ate at Kredens and food was delicious. It is 3 min walk from main monastery gate.

The sanctuary of Jasna Góra is a meeting place for Christians of a large part of Europe. It does not matter which time it is, it is always crowded. The sanctuary and the church are beautiful, and the guided visit is very instructive. Anything you would like to know will be answered by them. It is near the centre of Częstochowa, and is located in the most beautiful area of the city, being the sanctuary the highlight of it. A compulsory visit if you go to Częstochowa.

It would be nice if they would provided an electronic copy of the transcript to the email address of customers that the guides say to visitors only in Polish. We were required to arrive 15 minutes early, which we were lucky to do as there was a car accident on the way. So we arrived at 3:15pm ready for a 3:30pm session. Then there was nothing important to do between 3:15pm and 3:30pm apart from go to the toilet and check we had some water.
During that time of they had offered an electronic copy of the transcript I could have translated it into English online since we still had internet connection above ground. Then during the tour at each stop I could have just read the relevant section in English from my mobile phone instead of standing around understanding nothing.
I only speak English and barely any Polish, and my partner only speaks and understands intermediate Polish. I didn't understand anything they said on the 2 hour tour apart from a couple of words and my partner also struggled to understand, so it was actually incredibly boring and after the first 30 minutes I wished there was a way to end the tour early as there were more things I could have been doing. On the tour we did spurts of repeatedly walking and then the guide would stop and talk in Polish for a long time, and we were in a group of about 11 people so often the only chance to take a photo where others weren't blocking the photo was when people started walking again but then you can't take too long to take the photo since you have to stay close to the group. There was a short ride on the hanging train at the end of the tour and it ended at an underground pub. Our other family members went on a different longer tour that started after ours so we bought some beer and waited for them there since the beginner tour ends at the pub

I come from Zabrze and have lived here most of my life. I wanted to show my roots to my girlfriend and decided to pay a visit to this internationally know heritage site. Even in the description of the tour at the start, the guide highlighted that Guido is one of the most renowned industrial, touristic sites in Europe. Having that in mind, one member of staff could only speak English and there was no audioguide available or even an English, written guide. The staff had to hand out a4 printed out pages. It was not a problem for us, as I kept translating what is being said, but there was a party from Britain who did not have this privilege and had to read from these pieces of paper in half darkness. That needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Audio guides are a must for a site like this.
Having said that, the tour was really well organised, interesting and very well planned. Long enough, very informative and our guide was just brilliant. His passion and noticeable experience made it extremely engaging. He needs a praise and a raise! Seeing the machines used in mines from close up, and working, makes it so much more real too.
I recommend this place to everyone, but if you do not speak Polish, please check if measures have been taken to provide for your needs, or prepare to be slightly disappointed! :) Come on Guido, you can improve this.

Even better zoo than I imagined. You can see the animals really close. It's really modern, clean, and has beautiful waterfalls and an overall vibe. Old-world rooms & suites in an 18th-century castle offering a genteel restaurant & a spa area.
Wow! A completely fairy-tale castle, just across the border with Czech. They are still renovating the outside at the moment, but it will be gorgeous when the summer comes around. It was free to walk the grounds and enter the main part of the castle, but there will be paid for guided tours in the summer.

Instructions for parking at arrival could be more clear and more organized. The park is very well taken care of and it's a great place to relax. The castle is not as accient as expected but the tour is beautifully arranged and even the tools of online guide and explanation help understand the history and an addition to the whole experience.
SUNIL KUMAR MAURYA — Google review
There is nothing historical in this place. Don’t recommend to go inside. There is nothing special or authentic. Everything is poorly arranged and decorated not in the style of the original design. Paintings on walls are just awful! Worst way to spend 46 zł. Better to take a ticket only to park zone access.

Guess I was lucky. Booked a single room and got one in the renovated parts of the castle that resembles modern low tier business hotels. The room itself was small but cozy. Everything was spotless and clean. WiFi reception is brilliant.
The hotel and castle give mixed feelings. You can clearly see that it’s a “work in progress”. Given that through the years management is constantly improving on everything it’s fair to say that this place deserves a good grade.
There is no modern day elevator that covers every floor. The rooms are scattered all over the place: I had trouble navigating through the corridors to find my place.
The breakfast menu was very good. Including vegan and gluten free foods.
Hotel staff is helpful and responsive.
It’s not ideal that in order to get to the parking spot one needs to get out of the vehicle in order to press a button to call reception desk. Imagine that in a pouring rain…
It’s promising and I hope it will get to a point were all of the pieces fall into place and this will offer a boutique style experience. It has potential.

Beautiful castle very impressive architecture. Not a lot to see inside unfortunately as most places been converted to hotel. The garden is nice place to hangout and spend good times.

Get the feeling you’re in Disneyland without going all the way to France. About a 90 minute drive from Wrocław, it’s definitely a good place for a day or weekend trip. There’s a substantial park around the castle, included with a lake. Great place to relax and wind down.

This is a place for those who love Harry Potter or are interested in seeing a fantasy castle. You shouldn't miss this place. Half of the castle is a tourist attraction, and the other half is a hotel where you can stay for as long as you want.
This castle has small shops at the entrance where you can buy souvenirs. The entrance ticket is 38 zloty per person. This ticket includes a castle and garden, which I think is a scam. You also have to pay for parking around 10 zloty.
Overall, this place is a must visit.

We were there for an excursion and dinner, not stayed in the hotel. Fairytale 19th century castle with partially hotel and partially museum with restaurant and cafe. We enjoyed excursion and castle as well as dinner. Could recommend it, especially in the summer when you could enjoy nice garden and lake nearby.

I was there as a visitor only. The beautiful palace, quite well preserved, even grabbed by Soviet troops after the war and used to service as the... mental hospital for prominents. Absolutely worth visiting. And I recommend the restaurant! Prices acceptable.

The rooms inside are so impressive. This place is so nice everyone must visit there at once .

The back looks great but the fountain is also not working. I was told they will complete the renovations by December 2022. The inside is amazing, but very few original pieces survived after Soviets destroyed everything. Still a great place to visit. I will definitely go back in 2023!

This castle with its 99 towers really looks like a fairytale. Surrounded by a vast area with old trees and a playing fountain, it makes a huge impression on visitors. The castle is actually a palace that belonged to the Tiele-Winckler family. The castle survived World War II, but during the occupation by the Soviet Army, the interiors were destroyed and many paintings and sculptures were taken away. Now the castle is open to the public. A hotel and restaurant have been operating here since 2013.

Booked a tour ticket online. Unguided tour & without an auto guide. Just walk the building and follow the arrows. I wouldn’t say the staff is extremely helpful but Interesting interior and gorgeous exterior. Makes for a great photo stop.

Superb place for a visit, castle has been renovated and it gives, looks like from fairy tale. Tour is not long, would say it takes an hour but it's worth it, some rooms are massive and give a scale how this place used to be.
Park and fountain are another gems: there is even a music. Very clean, polite service, they even have restaurant inside if you are into having a meal in posh - and I mean it - environment, but didn't have time to do it.
Highly recommend.

While planning for visiting this castle didn't expect a lot. When arrived to the parking lot there were many tourists, which is the good sign of the popularity of this place. Castle is renovated few years ago, some works are still continue at backyard. It looks really nice. Different architecture styles, good park for short walk. Cafe and restaurant inside of the building. Part of the castle is functioning as a hotel. Lovely place to spend few hours.

I didn't stay at the hotel but visited the garden and the rooms.
The castle is very beautiful however be aware that the walls are not stones but an imitation with concrete. The few rooms available for visit are nice despite many decorations for Harry Potter events might bother you if you were more interested in the historical side if the castle. The gardens are very nice to have a walk, and the grass around the fontains perfect to chill

I am allowing for the fact it is an old castle building however the beds should be made up but weren’t, the mattress was stained! the garden area while told it was open eventually was unlit and only accessible via the front door, there was no bin or fridge in the room and no ventilation / fan supplied. Service was also poor as originally told the garden was closed but then it was open if I was only drinking 🤷♂️ the castle itself and grounds should mean it is a great place to stay however I would 100% avoid as accommodation.
The Wrocław Africarium is a large zoological garden and oceanarium that contains exhibits of over 1,000 different animals from Africa. It is one of the oldest working zoos in Poland, and open all year round. The zoo also has an exhibit devoted to the flora and fauna of the Dark Continent, which are unique on an international scale.
A excellent place to spend with your family; The kids loved it; Various animals and everything is so near, you think you can touch the animals by hand; the Zoo is arranged very cleverly and the numerous signs everywhere help you find everything conviniently and enjoy your visit; The price is not cheap - but it is worth the money;

Very good experience. Plenty of water life to see and good size tanks /displays. This is set in the main zoo. Lots of educational stuff and displays. Loved seeing hippos and the seal lions / penguins and sharks. Possibly the highlight was the large turtle.

A part of Wrocław ZOO (you can go in on a regular ZOO ticket). It's really worth it. There are tunnels inside aquariums, hippos, seals and free birds flying around. Mind you it's meant to mimic African climate so it's hot and humid inside. If I were to complain about something it's that the modern building doesn't really fit the historical buildings in the rest of the ZOO

Huge zoo and well worth the money spent for a ticket. Lots of animals and facilities, the flora was also very impressive. You can spend a whole day there. We bought tickets online, scanned the barcode and entered the zoo. Bring your own food our have a meal at their bistro. Lots of vending machines if you want to grab a quick snack or get souvenirs.

Amazing place to visit while you’re in this large Wroclaws ZOO. Would be good to implement traffic wardens who would push those hundreds of people through, system similar to some of the larger museums - no way back and no blocking. Queue times are ridiculous but definitely worth waiting.

Our visit to the Wroclaw Africarium with my family was an unforgettable experience filled with wonder and excitement.
The highlight was undoubtedly the breathtaking underwater tunnel, where we were surrounded by graceful sharks and colorful fish, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
A visit to the Wroclaw Africarium is a must for families seeking adventure, education, and pure joy!
Felipe Almeida — Google review
The overall planning is good. There are some facilities to assist children and drinking water. Although some enclosures are empty or under renovation, it does not affect the knowledge about animals conveyed here, and it can be seen that the animals are well taken care of. I really like the pavilion of cold-blooded animals and mimicry, but it was a pity that it closed too early and I couldn't finish it.

This is a must-see spot for people travelling to Wrocław with their family. The transportation by tram is easy from the city center. The building is right by the ZOO’s entrance. It houses all kinds of fish, mammals, birds and reptiles. There is a large seal and pinguin sanctuary. The restaurant resembles a passenger ship and offers a nice top view to see the penguins. It can get crowded on weekends. It is definetely worth checking out. Kids love it!!!!

We've spent literally hours there and I would gladly spend even more time. It's a tremendously well thought out and built attraction where you can watch animals in ab environment very close to their natural one. There are beautiful views including a tunnel over which sharks, turtles and other creatures freely swim. I loved the experience immensely.

The Africarium in Wrocław adds another layer of excitement to the city's zoo experience!
This specialized section immerses visitors in the wonders of African aquatic life. With a separate admission fee, it's a unique opportunity to explore marine ecosystems showcasing African flora and fauna. The interactive exhibits, informative displays, and vibrant marine life contribute to an educational and visually stunning journey.
Whether you're fascinated by underwater worlds or simply seeking a captivating extension to your zoo visit, the Africarium is a must-see attraction in Wrocław.

A bit crowded, best part of Wroclaw Zoo without this one probably I would count the visit as mistake. All water attractions looks a bit dirty - don’t know if it’s a matter of water or dirty glass. Should be addressed by Staff as it breaks animal experience for everyone. Under aquarium tunnel and under water windows makes great experience - zoo should somehow control amount of people- crowds all over this attraction makes difficult any movement around.

It's such a huge zoo that it took me 4 hours to get around it completely...I highly recommend going on Friday to see the wolves before 12:00 noon! Because we were not warned and didn't see them there. You should also get your tickets online because there are long lines.

Very clean ZOO with great aquarium. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the water and glass. The part where you can sit and just relax is a great idea. Though not sure how it will be during busy times. Definitely will recommend everyone to visit. For sure, nothing is perfect, but I left with 5 star feeling. Haven't eaten there.

Some places of the zoo are really nice and animals look well taken care of, but we were disappointed with the monkeys. They were all stressed, angry or depressed looking, and that building where there is one old chimpanzee sitting behind bars on a bathroom like floor is really sad. Looks like zoos from the 60s or something. This Zoo definitely needs more reconstructions and enrichment for animals. Please don't let those poor monkeys suffer.

A lovely day at the zoo.
Lots to navigate and a delicious finale at the bistro.
It seems most animal are well cared for, with the exception of some with small areas to roam. The birds seem distressed and unhappy and I think the monkeys are plotting a coup to overthrow the management staff.
Otherwise, a lovely experience.

Dramatic, winding wooden bridge offering mountain & Morava River valley views, plus a spiral slide.
Amazing spot, right ext to the longest suspension bridge in the world and a crazy bob sleid right from the top of the mountain to the bottom. Amazing experience, beautiful views and adrenaline drive in area. Big recommendation!
Ivica Srncevic — Google review
Wooden construction for nice views at woods around. As I see it, this tower makes it more interesting for pictures than the Sky Bridge, that was originally the most interesting attraction for me at Dolní Morava. At the same time, I spent here much longer time. Me and my boyfriend were for about 2 hours taking a look at views, taking pictures, trying to stand at the . Other people were doing the same.
The place offers additional attractions, such as bob slide from the top down to the bottom of the tower. For this kind of things, there were additional queues, long ones. I think that you need to have an extra ticket for the bob slide at Stezka.
Since it can be cold on the top of the hill and especially that elevated, I recommend some warm clothes and maybe a hat or gloves.
I recommend to buy tickets for the tower in advance, including the cable car, if you want to go for it. The tickets are pricey anyway, but if you buy them in advance, you can save some money, but mostly time otherwise wasted in queues.
Jana Kri?tanov? — Google review
Visited in summer and winter. Be warned that sky walk tower is inaccessible for hikers in winter. Signage is nearly nonexistent and confusing. Met a fair amount of people aimlessly wandering around the woods between car parks and the peak, with the same goal of hiking up to the tower and bridge. It's a shame as its a relatively short hike, perfect for kids, who are rewarded with further attractions at the end of it. Summer time - Tower is just as other structures of that type in the region, views are interesting, can be pretty busy at times.

The walk was pretty windy, but it was expected. Sadly the slide wasn’t open because of maintenance. The possibility of making a photo at the top was rewarding :)

Great spot but overloaded with people in summer and roads closed. None of the lifts open and 1 bus that runs every 45 min with 40 people. Far too much dangerous construction with pedestrians. Horrible experience if you have small kids. Don't come here if you want safety and enjoyment. Great hike with large trucks every 1 min.

We took a rail trip ticket at 13:00, after the bridge we found that it's requitable to take smth like queue number note. Our numbers started from 1300 when the actual queue number was 700. now it's 18:00, and we are still waiting! For God's sake, we are wasting our time here and they saying that they close soon!!! Btw the price on the top is chipper then on the bottom! What?!

Very nice attraction. Would appreciate little more educational content but that's my private opinion. The net at the top is very unnerving but fun and the same goes for a tunnel shortcut in the middle. Both are made of steel rope so there's no need to worry about the safety of the thing. Didn't try the slide from the top as my daughter is too short to ride (120cm)

Kłodzko Fortress, constructed during the mid-17th century under Austrian rule, is the largest and most well-preserved fortification of its kind in Poland. The fortress covers 17 hectares and boasts walls that measure up to 11m thick in some areas. A really interesting place to visit. Tour guides are well prepared and knowledgeable. The only drawback is small quantities of artifacts from history but this is not the fault of the place. Książ Castle, the largest castle in Lower Silesia, is a grand chateau-style complex situated on a hill overlooking the river Pelcznica and part of the Waldenberg mountains. Originally built in 1288 and expanded in the 16th century, it showcases Gothic, Baroque, and Rococo architectural styles. The castle offers guided tours with informative audioguides that seamlessly lead visitors through its rich history and art gallery.
This is a lovely castle, with a lot of history. Much of the interiors are unadorned compared to what they were, but the setting is stunning. It feels like stepping back in time, especially in the fall. There are paths to walk the grounds and access from the road is simple and scenic.

This is a beautiful castle with a lot of history. When you go in and purchase the ticket they give you several options one with the tour of the Underground included and I would recommend going that route as the tour underground is also very good. They will give you an audio guide that will walk you through the whole castle and give you the history and events that transpired through the years. The tour takes about the proximately 2 hours to complete with the audio guide and I like the way they set up their audio guide as you can skip ahead to something that interests you a little bit more which is a nice touch. The audio guide is location based. There is so much to see here and what I especially liked was the turn of the century pictures of everyday life. Some of the places in have amazing views of the surrounding Countryside and of the Immaculate Gardens. The gardens around the castle are just beautiful unfortunately the day I was there it was raining.

Castle Ksiaz... there are a lot of things which I can write here about this castle. But surely it is just impossible to tell all interesting things about this castle here.... it is much better to open Wiki or other sources and read, there is a lot of interesting information including medieval history, Hitler's "golden trains" and many others. Or you must come, take an audio guide (included into entrance fee) and see & listen.... there are a lot of very interesting stories, there are many unsolved secrets even now. Enjoy the castle, the subterranean, the magical terraces...

The price of the ticket is worth paying. Huge area to see. They gave an audio guide that automatically switches while you changing different halls. The audio guide is available in a few foreign languages. Parking is overpriced: next to Castle the price is 30 pln, further - 20 pln. And when you enter the castle there is a toilet with an entrance fee - 5 pln, which in my humble opinion should be included in the price of the ticket. Overall it is a great place to spend a day with a family or loved ones.

I enjoyed this place a lot. Very good destination to spend your weekend. Picturesque hiking routes of different difficulty level, underground tunnels of the third reich. I didn't enjoyed a lot the castle interiors, but from the outside it's probably the most beautiful castle I've ever seen. At the moment they have a very interesting photo exebition of the last chef. We just visited the castle from outside as we didn't have enough time to go for a tour. There's an individual or combined ticket for castle, palm house and the undergrounds. Car parking is not free after the security guard, unless you're visiting the castle hotel. You can park it in the open parking space before the security guard for free. There is an ice cream shop near the castle which is a necessity in hot summers. Not sure if there's any restaurant though. There's a small vertical sprinkler through which you can go to refresh yourself in hot weather. You can visit Viewpoint too, which is a small walk type trek for 15 minutes. There's a fresh corn stick seller, each for 8 PLN. You can bring park stuff (mats, food, play items etc) also for relaxation. There are a lot of gardens and you can sit anywhere. The place is definitely worth a day trip.

A self-paced tour of the castle was amazing! I was lucky to visit right before the Christmas decorations were going to be taken down, so it was twice the awe and pleasure.
Everything is so nicely organised, with the cheerful staff meeting you at the ticket desk, and then - second surpise with the Polish museums on this trip - a cloakroom employee kindly offering me a Ukrainian audio guide. Great thanks to the Castle team!
The exhibitions are a wonderful combination of the family history of the castle owners, of the Polish and world history impacting Ksiąz and its residents, and some terrific works of art.
It is also very efficient to have a "smaller tour" and a "broader tour with the family stories", so that you can choose what to listen to, also in terms of time available.
I listen to everything and loved it.
I learned a lot about the underground of Ksiąz and visited the Palm Garden 5-min drive away from the Castle (included in the ticket), with a huge collection of plants.

If you’re looking for a super good hike and an incredible view from the highest point of the Table Mountains, Szczeliniec is the place to go. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting this intense of a hike when my friend’s grandmother took us on a visit to Poland (but, to be fair, I’m also pretty out of shape). Within the first five minutes, I thought I was dying and the remaining hike up to the peak was a blur.
Once you recover physically, and scrape up the last remains of your dignity after having a 70+ year old who climbs this trail once a week he’ll drag you up the last 100 or so metres, the view is 100% worthwhile. You overlook the Czech Republic, and Stołowe National Park. There’s also a little chalet up there, where you can grab a drink and snack before making the (much, much easier) descent back to the base.

Nature reserve with a group of imposing sandstone rock formations for tours & rock climbers.
Absolutely worth visiting. The Rocks are beautiful and the paths are clearly marked and mostly easily accessible even for inexperienced visitors. You can use a paid parking nearby. There are some eateries, gift shops and a free WC at the entrance.
It will take you 15-30 min to go around the lake and 1-1.5h to go the main route (of course depends on your pace).

Very unique National Park with its amazing scenarios of unusual landscape. Great for short or even longer trip with kids. You can’t really ride through by bike or with stroller.
Mat Benda — Google review
The feeling was like in a circus with clowns, crazy rules that prevent people from enjoying nature, half-witted grandfathers are running around everywhere and writing fines to people on plain paper, because they have become where they were not allowed 🤦♂️ the entrance has an unjustified price, for this money they do nothing there! If you climb out once a year from your apartment, then this option is for you, all you can do is walk along the path, where they allowed! Nature here 5/5

Absolutely stunning. Great way to spend the afternoon. The majority of the pathways are very accessible and well taken care of and the directional signs are in multiple languages.

my favourite place when is outside very hot and you need cool down..very busy place in the summer...a lot polish people.. few places to eat outside of the complex.. nothing is inside so take your drink and food with you.. beautiful walk..dog on leash welcome .. better book before you go on their website..

So fun! Beautiful and fun to explore. Reasonable price to get in.

Very enjoyable park with beautiful sights. We read the history on the park's site which is accessible in English as well. The park itself isn't accessible and has many staircases to amazing view points. It's about 3 hours drive from Prague 1.

Visited during a 3day hike. Great place, beautiful scenarios, panoramas, rocks, nature.

Great place to visit. Even with kids. There is a separate route for families with small kids.
Amazing views!

Worth to visit, but choose wise which road to pick, because even 2nd half of green road is hard to walk with kids and for elders. Yellow road have a lot of steps and you'll have to climb them all way back so plan your time (+3h) picking yellow road

Amazing place with stunning views! The lake is so beautiful! Prepare to walk for a half of day :) Whole path is doable for kids as well. Rocks are amazing, a lot of stairs to go and really tiny holes to go through.
Lina Staškutė-Keršienė — Google review
Awesome nature but we were shocked of the amount of people. Otherwise totally worth it. We loved to explore all of it! Little tip, the yellow path on the card they give doesn’t end. It’s an ongoing way and will just walk further away from the rocks and the paths from the park

Amazingly beautiful place, it’s great for walks and enjoying nature

Very unique place, like a magic world, you feel so little inside. Unforgetable indeed. It took around 2 hours moving quite fast with long stops to admire the view.

This place is absolutely stunning, I went in winter and it made me tear up many times by the shear beauty of the nature around! This is very pleasant and easy to get to as its right next to adrspach train station - booking online is easy!
It is slippery in winter so be careful, especially on the staircases but it is truly worth it! I can’t wait to return and visit this in summer sometime and explore a little further 😍
12th-century church, constructed similarly to Viking longships & moved to this site in 1842.
Historical landmark worth visiting, the square holds a few things to look at and the church is worth visiting inside where a tour is given and information about its origin. It is not free and it costs 2 PLN to walk around the square alone or 10 PLN to also enter the church. The tickets can be bought at the shop near the gate entrance.

Awesome Church ⛪️❤️😍
Beautiful Architecture and engineers have done great wooden work inside. It’s an oldest Church in Poland 🇵🇱 since 12 Century.
I wish , I would visit this beautiful Holy place once again.

We really loved visiting this church. It's definitely worth it to pay to go inside and see all the cool engravings on the wood. Very interesting history! It's also really beautiful to just walk around the church and see the cemetery and sculptures there

Beautiful church located next to Karkonoski nation park. This church was moved from Norway and re-erected in 1842. The entrance price is pretty cheap and will give you access to the church grounds and short audio history. Worth the visit.

We watch a Christmas Carol Concert here. It's beautifully done, small and cozy. It's made of wood without any nails used to build this Church.

The church is very interesting. What we did not like was that there were other buildings very close to it. Also everything is paid, if you want to have a look inside, you must pay, if you want to take pictures, you must pay... Otherwise nice architecture.

Place which should be mandatory to visit. One of few churches built in Scandinavian way. Uniqueezterior and interior. Also, great history behind it. Cemetery next to it a
has some historical tombstones, also of famous Polish poet, Tadeusz Różański

I love this church so much. It’s so gorgeous and I’m genuinely obsessed with how stunning it looks (and how stunning the views are from it).

The best Norse church you can see in Poland! Formerly a church in Norway from early middle ages moved to Karpacz and built again in 19th century. The area is very nice, although packed with tourists and entrance to church is paid. However the adjacent cemetery is really nice and the sights from the hill to the valley and mountains too. A must see when visiting Karpacz.
Oldřich Olaf Poděbradský — Google review
Very nice old wooden church, originally from 12th century Norway, transplanted to Poland, lovely old details remain, cozy ambiance, comfortable place for quiet reflection. The grounds offer a little bit more to see and ponder, one or two memorials, an old graveyard and an excellent panoramic view. Good visit.
Popular hiking spot on the border of Poland & the Czech Republic, the highest peak in the latter.
Hiked up the mountain during winter in December and despite it being an easy hike, it was difficult as some of the steep paths were covered in ice and snow making it super slippery. The tower at the top resembles an alien spaceship and there is a bar at the top too.
khawajai — Google review
Amazing views from the top over both Poland and Czech Republic. A number of routes to the top, some of which are pretty challenging, or you can take the cable car from either Polish or Czech side. Limited facilities at the top, with a small post office selling drinks and snacks and a cafe in the cable car station.
James Smith — Google review
If you want to reach the top from the Polish side, it's recommended to wear proper shoes since the fastest trail has a steep slope. I saw many people hiking with gym shoes but personally I recommend to wear hiking shoes to reduce the risk of slipping or take a twist.
There is also a different way to reach the top which is less tiring but longer in terms of time.
Take your own food and water with you since there is no chance to buy them on the top of the mountain (there is a Czech Post Office!).
Giorgio Montaldo — Google review
I had such a great time climbing this mountain, it's a long way to go and definitely hard to get up, but the feeling of success and exploration you get when you reach the top is well worth it, however this is not a hike for people that are afraid of heights.

With its 1603.3 m above sea level, Sněžka is the highest mountain in the Krkonoše, Sudetenland, Silesia, Bohemia and the whole of the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, since the peak of Sněžka lies in Poland, the highest peak in the Czech Republic is Luční hora. Many hundreds of tourists come here every day. You can get to the top by walking route there and back, which is a trip with children for the whole day. It is also possible to use the cable car, which is two-stage, but unfortunately there is no guarantee that it will be in operation every day. What happened to me too. The walk up the hill was breathtaking and from the early morning I walked through the levels of the cloud. Around noon, the clouds parted and the sun came out, which meant the most amazing view of all time.

The trip to the highest mountain in the Czech Republic was a great experience. We went up the mountain by cable car from Růzová hora station. We went down the Czech-Polish friendship trail. There are many beautiful views along the way. It was a very nice trip.

Due to the strong wind, the gondola lift did not reach the top of Sněžka, but it was enough for the start to Růžová hora.
I'll get back to you Sněžka. 🙂
Jonas Dromantas — Google review
Was a difficult hike for me, I’m pretty new to hiking but I’m in no way out of shape. Steep smooth stones that made to so thankful it wasn’t raining. Top was ok, bistro wasn’t great. And the gondola going down wasn’t open even though online it did say it was running. Thankfully there was a second gondola halfway down you could take the rest of the way down. The town at the bottom is very cute and worth lunch or dinner.
Addy Ren — Google review
I’m glad somebody else counted the stairs 😅 after we had a hard time finding a parking space we took a ride with the chairlift to the first station and walked from their to the top. Sadly their were so many people that it didn’t feel like a hike for us. But as we are fans of the views we still liked it.
Madlen Slc — Google review
My second visit to this top.
I recommend this climbing, nice views, places for the rest.
I really like the smell of fresh air here and it is the place where you could get moral rest.
Hiking not hard, the half way could be cut by lift.
Near the climb itself, there is a shelter where you can have a snack, drink a beer or just rest before the climb
Unfortunately, this time the fog and the strong wind caught me and there was a very mystical atmosphere
Taras Koshletskyi — Google review
We parked our car in Pec pod Snezkou and took a cable way from there to Ruzova Hora (cca 1300 m) station. Two direction ticket is about 13 EUR. From Ruzova Hora you can easily hike / walk to the top of the Snežka (cca 1600 m). You will need about hour and a half to the top, maybe even less since the trail is easy even for kids, dogs, older people. In the July, temp on the top was 8 C and the wind was 70 km/h so take a good clothes. And when we climbed to the top, we were in the clouds and big strong fog, so we couldn’t see nothing. View is usually good but not for us that time. So watch out for the weather if you wanna enjoy the sight view from the top. There is restaurant on the top so you can seat there for a drink or food.

Czocha Castle is a 13th-century castle that has been transformed into a dramatic hotel, offering classic rooms and free breakfast. With over 125 rooms, the castle hosts numerous events and provides a rustic yet charming ambiance. The friendly staff and on-site market add to the overall atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a tasty restaurant, cafe, and even sample honey mead. The castle's beautiful location offers great views and a medieval vibe inside.
Outstanding medival castle. Great interior and view and nice sightseeing. There is a hotel in castle so you can have a rest before your next trip. It's said on the web site that there are night tours but haven't found the date when it is.

Absolutely in love with this place! It’s way out of the busy city life. If you are a person that loves to explore nature and the woods, walking through hidden path, then this is definitely the place for you! I walked with my dog for hours exploring so many little paths in the woods near the river and we weren’t even closed to seeing everything! Highly recommend

This castle is a larpers paradise! With over 125 rooms, I imagine they host a lot of events. We loved the compound and loved that you could stay the night at the castle. It’s a little rustic but that’s part of the charm that make this authentic and interesting. The overall ambiance was fantastic. Everyone was helpful and friendly, and there was a market on site as well that added to the ambiance. There is a tasty restaurant and a cafe on site. We were introduced to the honey mead, which was quite nice. Also the castle beer is a must try - very smooth with hints of citrus. Wish I had brought some home with me.

Very interesting tour of the inside and photogenic place 😍 Interesting that it had multiple purposes during world war two and that the rooms can actually be used as guest rooms. A bit of a pity that it's not in great shape but it's still awesome!

We’ve gone to this castle twice and couldn’t get in. First time the castle was occupied by Harry Potter’s fan and nobody was allowed to get inside. The second time we came here with a small dog and exactly these days dogs were not allowed to get here. Staff was really furious and aggressive too.

Czocha is a lovely castle situated in a beautiful location, I've visited it twice and although I've not been inside, even spending time outside the castle is great.
Recently we attended a 'Medieval Food Festival' which was awesome, sampled lots of Polish food from across the ages (prepare fresh of course though 😄) and it was an awesome day out. Highly recommend If they organize this again.

A wonderful setting surrounding a brilliant castle.
Scenic views that were amazing with the snow that we had.
The only issue is that if you are staying on the 4th floor, make sure you are fit as its not easy getting up there and back down with heavy or bulky luggage

Fantastic place. A good day if you are in the vicinity. They serve okay food and have really nice rooms. The castle is well kept and renovated. It's a treat to see all the rooms and if you're lucky you can see some of the secret passages behind the secret Doors 😯 and if you have enough money you can rent the whole castle, which is very cool 😯

Great castle. But there is a big "but". Only guided tours allowed and you see not that much of the famous castle. The tour is very long (over 1h) for what you see, not available in English. First room - 15min talk. The tour guide closes with advertising restaurant and whatnot. I don't pay for advertising. Given we drove 1h to get there I find it was not worth it.

We’ve visited the place 5 years ago and it was amazing. Came back last week and realized that the place is falling apart. The service is great, the restaurant food is delicious, but the place itself needs urgent maintenance.

If you are not a polish speaker, just forget about visiting the castle. Only guided tours are possible, and you will be "welcomed" by a very unpleasant man that will make you clearly understand that only polish is spoken there.
A lesson on how not to attract tourists from abroad.

A fascinating place to take a tour. The hard working tour guide really goes into detail about the history and the building. She should be kept as was great learning through her guidance. Did not stay at the hotel, so no comment.

As a hotel it should disappear as *** hotel - it’s just not what people are expecting when they’re here. Quality and cleanliness don’t exist.
In regards to castle as a museum - it has stopped in time 30 years ago. Staff is unfriendly and rude, besides instead of doing job which were paid for - they preferred discussing political choices. It’s disgusting and disappointing to have staff trying to control or convince people who came to visit a castle to specific political orientation.
Sorry it’s a red flag.

This is an awesome castle, great views and everything! I really like the medieval vibe that this castle gives when you're inside it. I really recommend visiting this place, it has epic views, no trash, many things to look at and beautiful cobblestone buildings surrounding the castle! At the time i am writing this, the roof in front of the river is currently under construction.

One of the most interesting castles I’ve been so far. It’s so beautiful, exteriors and interiors, there were some secret doors I found when I was there🤪🤪🤪Spent the night in the castle felt exciting yet scary at the same time when you went for the night tour visit with awesome way of storytelling from the staff. The atmosphere was indescribable, you can see it for yourselves, I highly recommend the night tour guide for this castle and you can thank me later 😉 but one thing I would change is that there’s English version of the story so it would be even more fascinating for me 🥰🥰🥰

Just sightseeing, not staying overnight. So much history and still to be discovered, must-see if a mystery fan. Discoveries happening as we speak. Worth to visit again after a while. It is a beautiful place and definitely worth visiting however, not equipped to handle so many tourists (toilets).
Liberec Zoo is an impressive zoo that features rare-species breeding programs and exciting activities such as sea lion and penguin feeding times, as well as elephant training. The star attraction of this zoo is its special white tigers, which are definitely worth seeing if you're in town. Although the animals have rooms that may seem smaller than expected, it's important to remember that this is still a zoo. Visitors can easily spend two hours exploring the various exhibits on display.
Lovely zoo with many interesting animals. The Entry fee is really low. Can recommend planning to visit again this year
Pavel Plšek — Google review
We visited this zoo with our 2 kids. The entrance price is very affordable (€5,- for adults) and the zoo itself looks nice with lots of trees.
Many cages are kinda small for the animals and needs renovation.
There are 2 play ereas for the kids. Both are fun and looks neat.
Fati Marhoon — Google review
Very nice zoo with special white tigers - the main attraction. Definitely worth visiting while in town. You can spend there like 2 hours. The cats seems to have a smaller rooms that I would expected. That’s actually similar for all animals here - you would think they should have more space but yeah, it’s a zoo 🤷🏼♂️ there is only one restaurant and one cafe so when visiting during weekend the line was ridiculous.
Pavel Bodiš — Google review
Well-maintained zoo, some food stations with fast-food. There are WC, beautiful area in general.
Evgeniia — Google review
Smaller than other Czech zoos, but you can still spent few enjoyable hours there. It seems more oriented to families with little kids since there are multiple playgrounds spread throughout the zoo.
David Luksch — Google review
This is the oldest zoo in Czech republic, and it shows. It's not big like some other zoos, so you can see it all in 2-3 hours. The location is beautiful, with hillside paths, natural stream and the lake. The animals are well kept, even though during the winter many of them are confined to small enclosures or even absent at all.
Roman Kovbasjuk — Google review
The only reason I am giving 3 stars is the fact that animals are in horrible small cages and pens. Animals are looking bored and sad. Specially elephants, which are the most smart and sensitive mammals , I seen the same elephants in the same small yard even after 13 years that's the time when I visited zoo last time. They are still there at same small place, looking very sad, why you don't swipe their yard after few years with some other animal? Just to keep their mind busy, to explore and to be happy ? I have seen 1 elephant repeatly doing one move with head and front legs which is sympton of nervosity and psychical problems . Other one was lions and tigers behind the glass, no grass no space to run or jump on the trees . Yes it's nice to see them, so you keep them on eyes, but behind a glass and such a small place ? We will understand if we don't see them, just let them be more free . They have no privacy no relax just stress . Monkey at photo was also pretty bored, I think if he got some hay or some bedding will be more soft and fun for him to play in it.
Zoo also looked kinda dirty in yards with animals, and stinky a lot more like in other's zoo's. Otherwise I like that zoo, there is a lot of things for kids to do, a lot of animals but I feel sorry for small yards .
Martina Bajusova — Google review
When we first found out about the zoo, we didn't expect much from it, since the ticket prices were really low (6€ for adults, 5€ for students!!).
BUT WE WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!!! This Zoo is large, we spent 2 ½ hours here and were running out of time by the end!
Very very very nice place, it has so many animals and the terrain and location are really nice. Most of the animals are kept in relatively animal friendly enclosures, there were many baby animals, showing that the animals living there are content.
There are several smaller and bigger playgrounds for children to enjoy, most of the zoo is wheelchair and stroller accessible.
Staff is very friendly, even though they do not really speak foreign languages, they will try their best to communicate. I loved it!
Only thing I wished for were more languages on the signs explaining the animals, they were only in Czech but I don't blame them. The animal names were written also in English, German, and another language I can't remember right now.
Overall great experience, I had a truly wonderful day!!!
The Sedlec Ossuary is a small Gothic chapel decorated with garlands of human skulls and bones. It is also known as the Roman Catholic Cemetery Church of All Saints with the Ossuary, and it was built in 14th century AD as one of the earliest holy grounds in Central Europe.
While visiting Prague, Czech Republic we took the train to Kutná Hora to explore this unique church. The bones of people have been arranged as decorations and lamps. Piles of skulls are also stored there. #CulturalLandmarks_KutnaHora

Thousands of human bones arranged in intricate patterns, chandeliers made of skulls and dim lightning create a chilling and haunting atmosphere. A humbling reminder of our own mortality. Wanted to visit the place ever since I have seen it on the pictures over 30 years ago.
Daniil Karpenko — Google review
Worth a 1 hour trip on train from Prague. Train was late like 20 min, so pay attention. Once you're in Sedlec it's an easy 15 min walk to the church. Tickets are not sold there, you have to go back about 200m and buy it in info building. The amount of bones and skulls will send chills on your spine.
Alexander Paulavec — Google review
One of a kind place in the world, I must say.
Just amazing. Made out of human bones and skulls, this ossuary is a remarkable place to visit.
Remember, they do not allow photography inside now as stupid people have abused it as some kind of a haunted place on a social media.
You can either visit it first before entering the town or plan it at the end of the trip.
Rushikesh — Google review
The ossuary is a small basement, can be seen in 10 to 15 minutes. Nevertheless, the trip is worth it. The cemetery has a lot of interesting information too, and the Mary’s Ascension Cathedral is very close. Good visit spot.

We went to the bone church in Kutna Hora many years ago and wanted to show our kids. Very interesting to see all the human bones. No photography allowed inside anymore....
Carel van Niekerk — Google review
Had to buy the tickets at the info centrum 150 meters away. We weren't allowed to take pictures in the chapel. I was able to take pictures upstairs tho. But besides that I recommend visiting, it is beautiful and scary at the same time.
Lovana — Google review
This is worth the trip from Prague. Very easy to get to by train! Make sure you buy your tickets from the information centre before heading up to the church as they don’t sell tickets at the church.
Although the church is full of bones it is not “creepy” in anyway but instead quite spiritual. There is no photography allowed.
There are guides you can hire from the town to give you a tour however the audio guide you can get inside the church along with the pamphlet is all you really need!
There are souvenirs at both the I go centre and in the church at reasonable prices and helps keep the church “alive” as they get no other funding!
The lady at the info center is super helpful!

I came to this country just to see this and was more Amazing then I expect, wonderful and unbelievable art… I’ll be back when they fish the restoration but still it’s almos 90% done and it’s look awesome 👏🏼
Andres Infantas (King Fuego) — Google review
My first recommendation is to buy a digital combination ticket online before you travel. The ticket is valid for up to a year, so you don't have to pick a date. They don't sell tickets at the ossuary, so if you have a digital ticket with you, you can just scan and go and don't have to make your way to the visitor centre 150 meters away.
If you like ossuaries, you'll love this one. It's definitely macabre, but so beautiful! Bones and skulls have been arranged into intricate sculptures and decorations, it's stunning to look at!
It's a rather small church, but if this kind of thing interests you, you'll have plenty to look at. It's currently under renovation, so parts of the church are blocked off with scaffolding and tarps, but it's still a stunning place to visit.
Very close to other sights in Kutna Hora, so absolutely worth the trip down.

I've visited twice over the past year and it's an impressive sight and quite a unique place. Note that taking photos is no longer allowed.
The place is under renovation as they are cleaning/restoring some of the bone piles and there are support ls to keep the church safe.
In the season it can be really busy as busses full of tourists can be dropped in regular intervals. Buying the ticket online makes it easier to get it, and not wait at the ticket office, which is down the street.

Not worth the admission. The actual place is very small and lacked information. Can finish the visit in 5 minutes but takes over an hour to get here from Prague.
Also, photos are prohibited but no one enforces it. Just don't be obvious.
St Barbara's Cathedral, located in the Sedlec district of Kutna Hora, is a remarkable example of Gothic architecture. The cathedral is adorned with spiky spires, flying buttresses, and frescoes that add to its grandeur. It was constructed in 1388 and boasts five naves but was not completed until the early twentieth century due to construction delays caused by the declining productivity of the town's silver mines.
I love visiting churches when there are no priests and no preaching etc. This one is amazing!! Especially on a sunny afternoon ♡ From my whole trip to Kutna Hora, this was the highlight.
Karolina Ferfet — Google review
The cathedral was worth seeing although I think some of the comments about it being the most beautiful are not my opinion.
There are a lots of beautiful areas and you can climb the stairs to the top. There are some nice views and it’s interesting to see the irfan from the back - not what I would have pictured!
The grounds are nice to walk around or sit and have lunch.

Magnificent.
Feel so ancient yet strong holiness around.
It is amusing that the history of this great cathedral was from the working class, not the royal family! In this case was the mining worker in Kutná Hora centuries ago.
The interior was well kept with some fault to show how ancient it was.
It will be cheaper if you buy the ticket in a bundle with the Sedlec cathedral+kotsnice.

No dogs allowed.
Inside is spectacular and you can also follow steps in the corner to go upstairs and look down from above and also out to the front balcony which also give a beautiful view.

A magnificent Gothic church with gorgeous stained glass, murals, and an accessible upper choir featuring an exhibit on the various periods of construction and renovation the cathedral has undergone over the centuries. The colonnade walk outside is also highly worthwhile.

I love this place. This is one of my favorite places. The cathedral is in the Gothic style and is beautifully decorated inside and out. The cathedral is in a nice place with a view of the surroundings. Behind this building there are also nice gardens for walking or relaxing. I just love it here.

Such a beautiful church. The frescos are uniquely not all religious, more depictions of daily life in a mining village. The architecture inside & out is a marvel to look at. Absolutely worth the day trip from Prague (highly recommended).

Very similar to St. Vitus cathedral in Prague but not as breathtaking. Very very pretty on the outside, but inside disappointed me tbh. I was expecting more. Anyway, still very pretty cathedral.

Very impressive architecture and very unique. I loved the paintings inside. They're very different. The figures on the organ were also beautiful. It was worth coming to Kutna Hora to see it.

It is a UNESCO word heritage. It is one of the most famous gothic churches in central Europe. The construction began in 1388 but not been completed until 1905. The ticket is available at the information center. The architecture of the church is very beautiful inside and out. 1 hour is enough for the visit.

Beautiful cathedral inside and out. We got to spend about 30 minutes inside as part of our Viking Cruises tour. The stained glass windows stood out for me. They are beautiful and well done.

So much wealth and power was centered in Czechia for centuries. The silver mines provided the kings of centuries past vast resources and the money and effort devoted to their religion is amazing. The cathedral rivals all major cathedrals in the world for scale, beauty, and wealth.

Totally breath taking outside and inside, this amazing cathedral worth it every minute you spend in there. Sister of Cathedral of Prague, perfect conserved with one of the beautiful vitralius i ever seen and impressive orga, i dont have words enough to describe how beautiful it is. You cand rich this site walking along a wonderful terrase merged by monumental statues, part of the Jesuit College. So if you want to take a trip outside the Prague, you shound not miss this place for sure.

This church is magnificent. It’s enormous and the craftsmanship is outstanding. Glad we added this to our destination on our last day in Prague. We joined a tour group but you can reach this by public transportation.
Pravčická Archway, a stunning natural sandstone formation, is a popular scenic site that requires a 5km uphill walk from the paid parking or bus stop. The entrance fee is around 4 EUR and credit cards are accepted. The area offers good amenities and breathtaking views, making it perfect for a sunny day excursion. However, it may not be ideal during windy or rainy weather due to its exposed location.
Very beautiful place, even in winter time, quite easy to reach even for kids. Absolutely amazing view and very interesting geological case, plus you can get a coffee right under the gate. A small gallery, where you can find impressive photos of the place in different seasons of the year is worth of visiting too.

Long uphill walk of about 5km to get there from the paid parking or bus stop. Good condition needed. About 4 EUR to get in (credit card accepted). Good amenities. Still somewhat reasonable prices. Don't buy sugary drinks; the wasps will enjoy it ... You probably not. Stunning views around, so allow for over half an hour once inside to get to each of them and enjoy the view. Great for a sunny day. Likely not for windy days with rain, as the views are really out in the open.

An excellent spot for some walking! The place offers a beautiful nature and the building itself is also interesting. Plus there is a lot of small paths on the top of the hill so a person spends some time there. The entrance ticket to the top of the hill and actually the building costs about 100 Kč so it's more like symbolic price and I gladly paid it to keep the place in a good shape.
If there is normally some restaurant at the place, it was closed. Instead of that, there was a food window outside with the some snacks, but also with warm meals. I appreciated that, since the weather outside was still cold at time of my visit and it was very handy to eat something warm. Another thing that I appreciated was that the menu was both in Czech and German, as the majority of tourists speak at least one of these two languages.
It's real shame that the national park burned down from a big part in the previous year. Fingers crossed that the nature and the trees regenerates over the next few years.

It was a 1.5h hike for me, but the view was totally worth it!! Very unfortunate that some parts of the forest got burnt some time ago, but the arch and the rest of the view were breathtaking. Highly recommended :) the ticket was 80czk for adults and 40czk for students (show isic) They closed at 4pm. The restaurant up there was very reasonably priced as well surprisingly, considering that the place is very touristic and very high up on the hills

Impressive hike to do specially during the winter. Being reward with the largest natural arch in Europe is certainly worthy the difficulty to park at the beginning of the hike.
The whole hike was pretty stepped to do but nothing extraordinary.
There's a Restaurant at the top, on a very nice building but it closes too soon during winter time, so we couldn't get something to eat. What makes sense because it's pretty difficult to come down at nightfall.
The arch itself is pretty beautiful to see and I advise to go to the highest viewpoint to have a good sight not only of the arch but also of the amazing landscape surrounding you.

A very nice place, beautiful views, although after the fire the landscape in the area was quite apocalyptic in places. The path to the entrance is rather simple, anyone can manage it.

It was a great sight, however there was a very strong smell which you could not ignore. If you are anywhere nearby (even Germany or Poland) I definitely recommend u stop by or you can plan your whole trip around it. Definitely worth it. You can make a whole day hiking day out of it or just stop by for 2 hours. It is not wheelchair accessible and if you do not like walking uphill this is definitely not for you.

Nice place to reach at the end of a hike through the forest. Beautiful sights, a place to rest and grab a drink or eat (if you get there during the opening hours). It could get crowded on weekends. Best to leave early from the parking and have time to continue the hike to other parts of the national park.
Mihail Minchev — Google review
Although parking is 3.5km away, most of the climb up is beautiful with stunning landscapes. At the end is the arch, more lookouts, cafe and an amazing old building.
There is a charge to enter the top part.

This is a very beautiful getaway from Prague / Dresden. Not much visited, because there is very little information abou how to reach there etc. I drove to the base and looked for the shortest walk. My tip: drive to parking Soutěsky. This is almost the last parking before start of the trail. Try driving further and you may save another 500 mtrs. of walking if you find a parking spot on the one of the last parking. All parking have same price of Euro 8.
Total walk from this parking is about 6 Km of which you walk about 2 Km along the highway as there are no parkings directly at the start of trail. . Walk is quiet easy and surrounded by beautiful terrain.
Take plenty of water with you on a sunny day, there are no water streams on the way and you can only buy a refill at the destination. The area was under fire some years ago, so expect no shade.
Plan a day, the place is really beautiful and the walking up alone takes easily about 2 Hrs or more unless you are fighting fit.

Beautiful hike with some of the most scenic nature in Czech! The hike up and back took about 1.5 hours, not including stopping to take photos and grabbing a snack at the top (there is a small restaurant).
As of April 2022, a wildfire devastated the area, but as of April 2023, the top remains largely untouched.
Christopher Yandell — Google review
The walk to the top was intense, but maybe that's because it was 33 degrees in full sun and we already walked and climbed for 10km before we started this specific trail.
We parked our car at Na Hájenkách (Indiánská vesnička Rosehill) where there is a small free parking place.
Then, we walked to Mezní Můstek and went right, to Divoká Soutěska and bought a ticket for the boat through the river, which took about 18 minutes. During the boat tour, the tour guide will explain things in a humorous way regarding the river area.
Then we walked to Mezná, which is a rather intense continuous climb, and continued to Tři Prameny, the starting point for the trail to Pravčicka Brána.
Its advisable to bring plenty of water in these temperatures and bring sun protection. Our total hike was 12km and took about 4 hours, including breaks. We consumed 2,5L of water each.
When we got back the crossroad Tři Prameny, we took bus line 441 back to our parking spot in Na Hájenkách. To our surprise, the ride was for free!

We visited as part of a hiking tour. The walk up is moderately demanding but the last section would certainly challenge anyone with mobility issues.
It is a long steady climb through a valley of trees devastated by fires in the last few years. As such it feels beautiful but slightly bleak, at least until the end where you climb the steep steps and slopes up to the chateau. Sited alongside the Archway, the chalet style hostelry offers refreshments and toilets. Seating areas overlook the beautiful scenery below and a very short path under the arch exposes you to a breathtaking view from the edge. Another short climb takes you to a viewpoint looking across the arch, much used in postcards and the like.
The walk back down is a bit hard on the knees for those of us of a certain age, but feels easy after the climb up. The weather was good when we visited but I can imagine a strategic inclusion of layers and waterproofs is in order at other times.
A lovely and rewarding hike

Wonderful experience, takes an hour or two from Hrensko. 3 Km from Hrensko to the starting point of the trail, then 2 Km hike.
If you come from Germany you can cross the border on a ferry from Schöna to Hrensko. (DB ticket works on it)
You can also experience the aftermath of wildfires last year.
Konopiste Castle, located 2km west of Benesov, is a fusion of medieval and Renaissance architecture with a Baroque palace built on top. It was once the secluded country retreat of Archduke Franz Ferdinand dEste, known for his passion for hunting and devotion to St George. The castle's extensive grounds bear witness to these twin obsessions. Its historical significance lies in its association with the assassination of the archduke in 1914, which triggered WWI.
The castle has a history of Franz Ferdinands and his apartments, weapons chapel etc. A particular tour takes up to an hour and costs around 250kc per person (plus 60kc for the Audio device if you want an English translation)
You will see the old weapons used, his bedroom, Church, some garments, etc and the history behind them.
Aside that, there is a nice botanical garden arround full of roses and peacocks.
Its worth the visit.

It’s our favorite castle. We came here a long time ago and recently brought our kids back to see it. It has something for everyone. My 13 year old son loved the armory and the sheer amount of antique weaponry, plus the number of animals on display. My 18 year old daughter was enthralled with the grounds, the peacocks, bear and other animals, and of course the romanticism of the castle itself. There are 3 or 4 different tours depending on what you want to see. We were short on time so we only did the armory. We would have done another if time had allowed. One of our favorite parts was the little walk up bar next to the gift shop in the parking lot. It was run by the nicest gentleman and had wonderful sausage stuffed in bread, lattes and desserts. We sat outside on a beautiful day and enjoyed the area. It’s also very close to Prague. We stopped here on our way to Hluboka. We were able to do both tours in one day! You can purchase tickets in the ticket office and there is a nice, free restroom on site.

Such a difference such a short distance from Prague! We went as it was recommended by a Czech friend who has gone their for years. May I suggest the second parking area? The first had a restaurant and plenty of parking but the walk up the hill was very steep and unpaved.
Walking around the grounds themselves was delightful. Statuary, views, and verdant lawns were in abundance. Near the castle entrance was a clever display board with information on over a dozen areas of interest and history - in Czech, English, and German. Picking the language was easy I learned things I hadn't known.
We didn't get to see the castle interior as all the tours the Friday we visited were in Czech. Our Czech is not nearly good enough! But the courtyard was lively, with little cafes and a peacock! The small dog with us was curious but left the big bird alone.
We found out that dogs are not allowed in the Rose Garden as well as the castle interior. The garden, what we could see, looked colorful and well tended. But our favorite place at the foot of the castle hill was the lake. Peaceful, cool, and watching the fish jump was a nice break from the hustle of Prague.
Czech Republic has a true gem in this hunting castle by the lake. Please visit if you have a chance.

Amazing castle, the nearby gardens are huge so you can find a place where you can just sit and hang out. The tickets for the castle tour is fine (240 Kč/person, kids and seniors have a sale). There were multiple beautiful peacocks. Near the castle entrance is a exposition where were predatory birds. Parking is near the castle and just 60 Kč for a day. The nearby "rose garden" is gorgeous during the spring. I absolutely recommend a visit to this castle.

We love spending time here with our kids. They really enjoy the surroundings, the peacocks walking around, having a picnic, watching the bear, buying tasty sweets from chocolate factory, feeding the animals (we always bring carrots with us).
We've been here in all seasons, but best time for visiting the place is during spring when all flowers bloom. During summer its pretty crowded, but still worths, during autumn are the best landscapes.

Overall one of the nicest castles we visited - rich history and lots of things to see inside. You need to choose one out of four possible tours (10-15 EUR/person) based on your interest. I couldn't find a way to combine 2 or more together without spending whole day here. English speaking people can get an audio book for 2 EUR (no english tours available today). Payment by card is possible, online information about tours is not matching reality.

This imposing church, built between 1220 and 1250, is one of the most important examples of Gothic architecture in Prague. Its ornate facade features a series of grotesque statues representing the seven deadly sins. The interior contains some beautiful stained glass windows dating from the 14th century.

Roman church on Hradczany, the first church on it’s place was built in 920. The monastery that is situated near the church was responsible for educating the royal family. After the year 1500 the facade of church got renaissance look, and after 1670 it was completely made into baroque style. The interior remains Roman though, the church is right now the main place for organ concerts in Prague. In the church there are also some graves of people from the royal family.

One of Prague’s most significant Romanesque monuments, this is the city’s second oldest church and was founded around 920 AD. Standing on Jiřské náměstí, the church is dominated by its two white stone steeples, which reach a height of 41 m. The wider southern tower is called Adam; the narrower northern tower is called Eve and stands at a slight tilt (about 40 cm). The Romanesque interior of the basilica with the tomb of the Přemyslids is included in the Prague Castle guided tour.

A surprisingly interesting Basilica! As with many parts of the castle, it can get very crowded, but there is detailed information available if you can manage to get to one of the boards. Unfortunately the truly interesting bits (e.g. a mysterious box of bones in a side room) aren't explained at all, with the nearby board instead discussing one of the artworks on the wall.
It's rather small, and you won't be here for longer than 10 minutes, but there's no reason not to visit if you have the basic pass that includes access!

A continuity with the other attractions here, there is very little information to be read about the attractions within. There is a paragraph of information for every 3-5 attractions which leaves you wondering about the significance behind a lot.
There is a lot of sitting room which is a good rest stop for anyone in their feet all day, but the attractions were crowded and there honestly wasn’t much to see. If you have time, see what this small place has to offer (look at the attached for references), but don’t plan your trip around it and don’t expect too much.
The Frauenkirche Dresdens rebuilt after World War II is a stunning example of baroque architecture and offers guided tours. Bach played an inaugural organ concert in 1736, and the church dedicates many concerts to his music.

Fürstenzug is absolutely a must-visit in this city - luckily, you don’t have to travel out of your way to see it. It is located right in the center of town, near many other famous sights in the city. If you visit in wintertime (like I did), you’ll find half a dozen Christmas markets within 5-10 minutes walking distance from Fürstenzug. As a woman who recently had the opportunity to admire the "Procession of the Princes" mural, I must say that it was an unforgettable experience. This stunning work of art, stretching over an impressive 102 meters, masterfully captures the history and grandeur of the Saxon rulers. The intricate details and vivid colors of the porcelain tiles create an awe-inspiring visual journey through the centuries. Standing before this magnificent piece, I felt deeply connected to the past and gained a newfound appreciation for the craftsmanship and artistic talent that went into creating such a monumental masterpiece. The "Procession of the Princes" is undoubtedly a must-see for anyone interested in the rich cultural heritage of Saxony.
The Zwinger museum features a carillon, porcelain collection and exhibits on historic scientific instruments. The palace is also home to three museums - one dedicated to classical music, one with exhibits on art and history, and the last focused on natural sciences.
The Zwinger is a really beautiful place housing a really nice museum that contains statues and art. It is definitely one of the places you simply cannot miss in Dresden.

The Zwinger complex is incomprehensible until you’ve visited! You have no idea how grand it is until you’re there. We visited the grounds and the Old Masters Picture Gallery. Even though the grounds are getting worked on, the architecture is impressive enough to appreciate its grandeur. We really enjoyed the gallery as well.

Unfortunately, during our visit, the courtyard was being renovated - with the entire thing having been dug up. The buildings are still impressive and the architecture is interesting. It's a huge building with multiply attractions. The place is a combination of a baroque palace, museums, an art gallery, a park, a terrace, with fountains, stairs sculptures.
A beautiful place to discover, learn and relax.. An absolute must see in Dresden!

Would have given it 5 stars but most of the inner garden was under construction. Lots to see as you walk around from stone carving to great views from the top of the walls. Lots of places to stop and admire the views and onions dorms and the very impressive chiming clock would like to call back when the garden works have been completed

A perfect place to visit during your time in Dresden. I went in spring and it was beautiful. It has many spots for photos and it is very nice to walk all around the gardens and the palace.

Incredible place! Sadly we were here during renovations, so we didn't get to see it in it's full glory, but it's super cool even under construction.

Very beautiful baroque historical place. Beautiful view, garden, lake. Good place for spending time with the family, friends or just to find a bench and spend time with yourself . And it’s a perfect place for photo session . We went there when it was reconstruction’s works . Exciting to see that next time when they will finish renovations. If you’re planning to visit Dresden it’s a must have place to visit.

Europe's most important baroque palace complex - and currently also a massive construction site. It is of course magnificent - but it would've been nice the Dresden website had a heads-up about the current state of the courtyard. Must visit - but especially when it's finished!

Very interesting set of buildings. Totally rebuilt after the war by using whatever blocks were still useable. The orange (as in the fruit) greenhouse is marvelous.

I found this area amazing. These buildings were an inspiration to restoration! When you look back at the history of Dresden and what happened to it during world was 2, you'd never think it had ever been obliterated. what a pretty city it is now.

A lovely Rococo buildings collection with their characteristic charm and lightness. The garden is currently under renovation and the water features are not working either.

Walking in history, you can feel the interweaving of time and space, the interdependence of light and shadow, as if you are traveling through time and space and having a conversation with history.

Beautiful complex with interesting museums. It’s better to buy a ticket that includes all museums. No need to buy it online.

Stunning and impressive. Most important monument architecture in Dresden. It is a complex with gardens built in 1709. Acknowledged a masterpiece of baroque architecture, it now houses internationally renowned museums and is the stage for many renowned music and drama performances.

Breathtaking and amazing palace. Even though I have been here countless times, this palace never ceases to impress me. If you visit Dresden, this place is definitely a must-see. It is free of charge to look around the building. (Unfortunately it’s under construction at the moment).

Beautiful
The whole museum is beautiful, whether it is on the inside or outside, the architecture and the collection will not disappoint you !
We took tickets for the porcelain exhibition and the gallery and didn't have enough time to visit everything unfortunately... But it was definitely worth it !
