Very wide beach with beatifull sand. The water was not so cold as I was afraid it could be.
(Translated by Google) Descent to the beach along a pleasant path - if you enter the path from the lighthouse, the descent is practically in a straight line. I recommend immediately heading to the right side - the beach is starting to be covered with tufts of grass, which adds charm and a substitute for a wild beach. Clean nice sand. in front of the promenade to the beach, there is a free parking lot in the forest, and a paid parking lot next to it.

(Translated by Google) The beach is narrow, but it doesn't bother me that much because there is enough space. Just walk a bit to the west/east of the descent and you will be able to spot a spot close to the water. It's just a pity that there is no piece of footbridge/wooden walkway along the beach (dunes). Krynica is strongly geared towards families with children, but it is difficult to walk on the sand with a stroller. Either way, that's no reason to subtract stars. It's ok. P.S. specials PLN 8 per cup, others PLN 9 ;)
(Original)

(Translated by Google) Beautiful beach. Wide, with a pine and beech forest in the back. You can meet wild 🐗🐗🐗👍 clean, white sand. There are catering facilities at each entry to the beach, and you can rent deckchairs and beach equipment. There are many attractions during the season - animations for children, dance lessons for adults, beach volleyball courts, and guarded beaches. It's beautiful 🌅🌅🌊🌊🌊🌳🌳 the only downside is that the view is a bit monotonous compared to e.g. Tricity beaches

Seal sanctuary featuring an aquarium & historical & conservation-related exhibits.
A great and beautiful experience, if you visit Hel you MUST go to the fokarium. You'll see some cute and playful seals, and you will learn things about Seals and marine life ! If you come around 11:00 or 14:00 you can see seal Eat and Play with the stuff ! I enjoyed a lot the visit !
Lorenzo Bovo — Google review
Huge queue, no information in any other language than Polish. Very crowdy. The seals are cute though, but the environment not too attractive. Acceptance/ticket coin system is also very crazy - only 5zl coins accepted. Yes, there is a changing mashine but can also accept only limited types of banknotes (10 and 20 if remember correctly). A bit of dissapointment after Gdansk zoo.
Sigita Remeikiene — Google review
Absolutely awful, just been there waste of a day. No english speaking, 4 seals and the water was so dirty, you couldn't see anything any way. English speaking people avoid at all costs. So disappointed, we asked for help and all they gave us was a booklet with very little information but it had a donation requests
Alison Owers — Google review
The main place to visit while at Hel peninsula. The seals here are magnificent. Although, almost all of them are seals that were rescued. In normal conditions seals live freely on the Polish coast.

Great sea lion sanctuary. Make sure you come for the feeding, otherwise you may not have much interaction with them. Tickets are purchased via machine by the entrance and even with a long queue it goes pretty fast. 15zl for an adult ticket.

Great job done by the team and it’s our duty to contribute for the safety and future of Mammals n Animals and also to avoid throwing trash in the sea … it was a big line but worth watching the seagulls with kids

Interesting place if you haven't seen seals before. Really lacks information in English. Entrance is two 5zl coins you put into machine (automated). Next to the entrance you will find a machine which will chane 10 and 20 notes into 5zl coins. No possibility to pay with a card. Go during feeding time - seals are active and do show some nice tricks.

Feeding times of seals here to watch are at 11:00 and 14:00. 15 zl per person.

Preserved Nazi German concentration camp with WWII exhibits, artifact displays & a large archives.
It's very strange to give this place 5 stars. I give the 5 star review because off our tour Guides knowledge and the way he told the story of Stutthof. The history of Stutthof is just barbaric. You can't believe this ever happened. The way the Germans treated human life is just unbelievable. We strongly recommend every human being to have a guided tour at Stutthof, just to learn the history of WWII. We have to thank Mr.Shuttle for a interesting trip and additional knowledge of the Gdansk area and history.

I am not sure if it was 'lucky' per se, but when I visited Stuffhof it was getting dark, it was very cold and covered in snow. All of this added to the atmosphere of the place which is quite cold and eerie to say the least.
When you park up (Fee is 15PLN) you are free to roam the site and visit at your own pace. I did not see anyone else there, no staff or public so I had the whole place to myself.
Information boards are in Polish and in English and there are plenty around the site detailing which areas are which, as well as giving a further look into what happened.
An absolute must for anyone interested in history; we all know it happened but visiting an actual site gave a much deeper sense of it all.

Very interesting and well preserved camp of ww2. To see what horror was inflicted on people is unbelievable.
Adrian Hughes — Google review
What a sobering place. It feels insensitive to say that I had a great time. I had a tour by Thomas, an English speaking tour guide: I highly recommend having an expert show you around to explain the history behind this tragic place. It's the first time I've been to Poland, and to a concentration camp. We really must never forget the atrocities that happened at places like this. The juxtaposition between the rusty barbwire and watch towers seen alongside the natural beauty of the camps surroundings are haunting.
R S — Google review
The history of this place is very upsetting, however I believe we should remember the atrocities that the n*zis committed. My experience was great. The guide explained everything very well, and the signs were also translated. I'd recommend this place only for audiences that aren't easily disturbed.

I feel weird rating a place like this with its history. It is a simple camp but with great detail and information. I recommend the movie(available in English) and learn more about the history of the camp as well as the people who worked there. I also recommend the audio guide(available in many languages)as you learn more than just the signs(in English as well). Unfortunately, if you want to buy any books or souvenirs you must buy them in the beginning when you buy your tickets unless you want to walk back to the front of the camp. The entrance and exit are in 2 different locations. I wish I would've have known that before I went through.
Kelley Kagele — Google review
I found this museum profoundly moving. The information I received about the existence and daily horrors for inmates, whose only crime was their personal circumstances, has changed my perception of life and what I consider to be challenges. In my view everyone should visit such a camp and I believe that they will come out a changed person with more compassion for others and better appreciation of life and freedom .
Jo Eley — Google review
A very impressive historical place to be and to see. It is full of memories and well preserved. The surroundings are quite beautiful especially during the autumn. The museum has free entrance but you have to pay for parking. Definitely worth the trip.

This was the first concentration camp built outside of Germany and the last one to be liberated. Worth a visit if you are visiting Gdańsk, you can get here with the 870 from Dworzec Autobusowy, a little more than an hour travel. Entrance to the camp is free of charge as of 10.06.2023.

Free entry. Clean toilets. Bus transport from Gdansk takes about an hour. Bus payment in cash. This was a truly arresting place and experience. In concentration camps, human evil and history become concrete. Peace to the souls of all Holocaust victims.

A guide is 80 EUR, highly recommended, call and book from the homepage. Place is quiet, calm which makes it especially chilling when you know what's been going on at this place.
Peter Larsson — Google review
If you have the time you must see this place, if you don't, make time. The camp it a chilling reminder of what happened to citizens and civilians during WWII. It is really well presented and a good portion of the camp is still left standing.
The exhibits and text are in English about 40% of the time but it has a lot of visuals. You won't need a guide if you don't want one.
Brett Gottfried — Google review
It is worth a visit if you are in Gdansk. They had an exposition with a bunch of different stories from actual inmates and their fates.
Tiago G — Google review
Very underadvertised and clearly not visited nearly as often as Auschwitz but no less worth visiting. An impressive museum and well maintained. Only thing I wish would be changed is that they offered more books in English at their gift shop. And that the English versions weren't more than double the cost of the Polish editions

Not worth the price of tickets. Ocean park and only 1 aquarium with living fishes. Not for kids below 3 as movies are for older. Everything outside so not good in bad weather. Very dissapointed in visit

Place is good for children only, not for adults without kids, a bit too boring, that's just my opinion, it could be more fun for other people. Entrance price is included with one ticket for a ride, want to ride more you pay extra. You can get something to eat if you want. If you got children go there if not don't waste your time/money, go instead to a restaurant and put your money there.
Pawel P — Google review
The park has no real fish, sea creatures or aquariums. Only statues.
Came with 7 and 5 year old and found it very boring. Spent the whole time at the playground.
Definitely not worth the 1.5hrs drive from Gdansk and the price (120 zloty for 2ad+2ch)
Niv Gilboa — Google review
Ugly, empty and ruined place that begs for demolition team. Literal scam, offers nothing but huge trash statue of whale and few others smaller ones, everything is in bad condition. Tunnel with sharks consists of sharks painted on the wall (no joke). Avoid at all costs and most of all, don't pay any money for scam. If you ignore all red flags and wander inside, don't try out food. You have been warned! 🐳🚫
Bernard Orlikowski — Google review
50 zloty for a park with only 5 real animals. The rest is not even realistic sculpted or drawn on walls. The only thing that made a little fun were remote-controlled to cars. You can go to the zoo for half of the money and see more and real animals or you can go to the playground for free. This was a waste of time and money.
Anuska — Google review
Huge disappointment. No real animals, just a bunch of old rusty whale models lying around here and there. My daughter was really sad after visiting this place and kept asking where were all the real fish and sea animals. Waste of time and money. Oh, and don’t eat anything there, the food is awful.
Wojtek Bauman — Google review
Waste of time and money, overpriced, attractions simply not attractive. Tunnel with sharks is a joke. Kids enjoyed inflatables (hard to call this an amusement park!), choice of cafes was poor too. It’s a nice idea but needs some work to finish it off.
Simple rooms in a casual budget hotel close to beach, offering a shared kitchen & kids' play area.
(Translated by Google) It's an okay place, the owner is very nice, I don't know how you can have a problem with him. The place is old-style, it could be an advantage. It wasn't dirty, just old equipment, e.g. you can see the stone in the bathroom and maybe something would really need to be replaced, I'm mainly thinking about the shower handles, but everything served its purpose. We've already stayed in a nicer place in this town and we also had to have our own soap and toilet paper (there was just not enough), but ours are also more reliable in terms of cleanliness, so I always have such things with me and I don't see a problem. A large parking lot, we could still use it after leaving the room. There was a kettle and a fridge in the room and they worked.
To sum up - a completely good place to stay, you just have to think about having the necessary things, flip-flops for bathing too, and you won't have to get frustrated.

Czajnik, lodówka w pokoju były i działały.
Podsumowując - zupełnie dobre miejsce do noclegu, trzeba myśleć, żeby potrzebne rzeczy mieć, klapki do kąpania też i nie trzeba będzie się frustrować.

(Translated by Google) I give it 1 star because I can't give it less.
Drama, I will never visit this place again. Not only do the equipment, couch and room furnishings remember the times of the Polish People's Republic or even earlier, they are very dirty. While staying in the room at the "Herkules" guesthouse, we had the impression that the room had not been cleaned at all after previous tourists. Something disgusting, even a brush couldn't be used to sweep it, because disgusting clumps of old hair were sticking out of it. The couches were full of sand, nothing had been vacuumed, and the bathroom floor was full of hair. We were afraid of catching anything, so we equipped ourselves with cleaning products at our own expense to feel at least a little safe and that we wouldn't come back from vacation with some parasite. The water in the shower did not flow, the water stood above my ankles during the bath, the toilet flush did not work properly and, in addition, a terrible stench came out of the bathroom sewage, like a toilet. The corridor was also in a deplorable condition, there were clouds of dust on the floor, tangled with hair and sand, someone spilled something on the tiles, and during our entire stay in the guesthouse, none of the owners bothered to wash or at least vacuum the staircase. Moreover, we were a little late and on arrival it turned out that our room had been rented to someone else, but luckily we managed to find another replacement.
The only advantage of this place is the fact that the distance to the beach is small, but I think it's not worth it because the stay is not super cheap and for this price you can definitely have much better conditions and feel comfortable.
I don't recommend this place to anyone.

(Translated by Google) Rooms - PRL, that's a fact. The advantage is that the rooms (at least ours) were quite large with a view of the nearby food stands :) Plus the balcony. However, time stopped there a long time ago. My wife and I are not demanding, but a torn sheet or standing water in a slightly moldy shower may bother someone more. Two stars only because there were no worms ;)
Service? It's hard to tell. I talked to an older lady on the phone and settled accounts with a young lady - we only saw her twice (arrival/departure).
The place makes up for its location. Right at the entrance to the beach (with a ramp for strollers, which is very important, because this is probably the only such entrance), nearby the Żabka store, a supermarket (small) and alcoholic beverages. Very close to restaurants and a place to party :) The noise didn't bother us, everything went quiet from around midnight. Generally, we were rarely in the room, we are not demanding, so 3 out of 5 stars is a realistic rating, but if someone expects a five-star hotel, this is not the address ;)
If we come to Jelenia, we will come to Hercules again.

My,jeśli zawitamy do Jeleniej, to przybędziemy ponownie do Herkulesa.

(Translated by Google) Once and never again I will visit this place. The rooms and the entire atmosphere in this place are reminiscent of the era of the Polish People's Republic. The service was at the level -1 and greedy for money - a different price was announced during the telephone conversation, another (of course more expensive) turned out to be the right one. I highly do not recommend this place to anyone!

(Translated by Google) A stay cheaper than a hotel stay, although not as cheap as advertised. I was surprised by the need to pay for the stay in advance before the room was made available. I didn't have that much cash with me and I was forced to look for an ATM (one was crowded with tourists and the other was temporarily closed). When, out of breath, I returned to the guesthouse with the money and was given a room, it turned out that there was neither a towel nor a piece of soap. Although I had a towel with me, I had to go outside again to look for soap. After driving 400 km, it took a long time before I could wash my hands. There was no mention of issuing an invoice for the stay. I won't mention the conditions in the guesthouse because I didn't see all the rooms. In my room, which I ordered as a 2-person room, there was one double sofa and two single sofas. There was no longer enough space for a small table, which we had to place on the casing of a small refrigerator, moving it accordingly - a nightmare. I would advise the owner of the facility to provide at least a room for a shared kitchen equipped with dishes and cutlery in such a large guesthouse. The kettle in the room does not meet the needs for preparing a basic meal, especially since it could only be prepared on the refrigerator. I was also surprised by the savings on lighting - the entrance to the stairs outside was completely dark, especially dangerous for elderly people. Small measures would be enough to improve the aesthetics of the concrete balcony and unfinished raw plinths. the lack of even a small table on the balcony and the replacement of old ropes and clips from the times of King Ćwieczek with newer and aesthetic products. I also ignore the TV offer. There is no cable TV, not to mention satellite TV. In short, anyone who only needs a place to sleep and eats in the so-called city is welcome - I will definitely not use this place again.

Niewielkie środki wystarczyłyby aby poprawić estetykę betonowego balkonu, nieobrobionych surowych cokołów. braku choćby małego stolika na balkonie i zastąpienia starych sznurów i klamerek do przypinania z czasów króla Ćwieczka wyrobami nowszymi i estetycznymi.

Most rooms have a balcony overlooking the main street. I recommend. A big advantage is a large parking lot and a large playground next to the guesthouse.
And people who go to the seaside to watch TV better stay at home.

Byłam w tym pensjonacie dwa razy. Polecam.

Popular water park with slides & a shark pool, plus a spa/sauna area & a shopping center.
One of the most AMAZING aqua parks in Poland 🇵🇱❗️
Full of attractions, helpful lifeguards, professional management service and creative slides stimulating mind end emotions 💓🧠

Very nice place to take a rest and forgot about all daily stress 👌..Sharks nice but not all the people can see them as you need to swim to window and is no other possibility . Even when many people pay just go there to see the Sharks ...for this big minus...

The aquapark on itself was nice and clean.
Only the woman with long black hair working in the restaurant (3 january 2022 at 16h14) area was very rude and not friendly.
It looked like she didnt care at all about customerservice.
No one was sitting in the restaurant area anyway on this time.
This made my mood change to a less positive one!
Too bad because the aquapark on itself is pretty nice!

My kids found this place on YouTube, so for them it was a great adventure to finally be there and must say we were not disappointed. Lots of water activities for all ages, and I loved the waves simulator. The legendary rotating water slides was my best part just that we had to pay extra for it as price not included in entry fee but its a must see fun part of the water park. Will I visit again DEFINITELY. There was also the under water shark tank and free parking. We did not try the food, but maybe next time.

We had a incredibly nice day here and can strongly recommend it to everyone. We arrived at 13 and by 21 we still had stuff to do so there is definitely enough attractions. There is many slides some calmer, some more extreme. Our favorite was the aqua spinner, it was insane you where inside it and you didn’t know where you where going, you didn’t know what’s up or what’s down.
But we also visited the spa area in between to calm down and relax and I can say that it was one of the best spa areas I visited in all of Poland. There was all the normal things what you expect from a spa but also extras with made the experience much better.
So to summarize I can really recommend visiting this aqua park and spending 1-2 days here because they even have a hotel directly inside the aqua park.

Amazing aquapark. Spent 3 hrs there with mrs. and a kid. All 3 of us had so much fun. For more adrenaline junkies, there is a super fast waterslide. I would also recommend an aqua spinner, which is additional 5 zloty per person/per ride but it's so much fun that we went 3 times. Shark slide also amazing where you finish your slide in an underwater tunnel located in a shark tank. All in all a perfect experience.

Great spot! We had lots of fun. Buy your tickets up front. Bring towels and shoes for when you are inside. The website lacked some info about age limits and attractions.

Nice place to enjoy your day, not too many slides, but you can still have fun. The Spinner and Ultra Fast was the most fun. Long queues for the slides though. Probably most fun tor the kids. A bit strange that the spinner was extra each ride, because the tickets are not too cheap. Alltogether a nice experience.
Krish Nagelis — Google review
Loads of people, you should come at the opening to enjoy rides without much queues. All but one are with floats, and for families. There is one slide for adrenaline junkies only. The rest is pretty boring. Also the spinner is with additional charge, 5pln per person, min 2 people per float (150kg). If I pay *not little by the way* I should be able to enjoy all slides in a given zone. If you want unlimited ticket, you have to buy it in advance through the site. Also, the swimming pool is with an additional charge. Ridiculous.
The hairdryers are slow, but the showers are clean and warm.
Good place for families with small children.

A great aquapark in a small place called Reda outside Gdynia. It is about 1,5 hour with train from Gdansk Śródmieście togstasjon.
Remember to bring your slippers, as well as your swimwear and towel. Be aware that there is several small changing roms that you can lock, and separat showers. But the wardrobe and locker area are for all genders together.

The park itself is absolutely fantastic! The process to get in, get changed, figure out lockers etc was very confusing for people who have no experience with indoor water park processes. We wanted to purchase 3 hr tix but went with 1 hr bc that was the only online option and tickets in person were too confusing for me to figure out(probably not for someone who knows Polish).
Bottom line great slides, wonderful lazy river. Would have loved to have more time to check out the other pools and kids play areas and also the rotating slide. We spent easily 30 mins trying to figure out lockers going in and coming out. ** all of this time is in the 1 hr we paid for**
We also had to wait in line for the 2 slides we got to experience once.
We ended up going over our hour by 15 mins and had to pay on the way out which was fine but in my opinion don't even bother unless you pick the 3 hr option. By the time you get in change, and get out and change you MIGHT have 30 mins to enjoy the park and 10-15 of that time is wasted waiting in lines for slides.
Sopot Pier is a public square, concert shell and lighthouse located in Sopot, Poland. The pier has a long wooden construction and provides stunning views of the Baltic Sea. The main attraction at the pier is its length - it's the longest wooden pier in Europe.
Beautiful place for rest! Sitting on bench, listening to the sound of the waves and watching breathtaking sea landscapes is beyond price! There are often a lot of people, but if you're lucky, you can enjoy this place without crowds. Crowds of people, not birds. Birds are always there hahaha! Seagulls, thunderbirds, pigeons, ducks, sparrows, swifts, crows and even swans live there! But don't feed them with bread! Bread kills birds!!!!
There is restoraunt in the end of pier designed as ship! Btw, little sailboats moor to this pier, so you can watch this interesting process!
I think, this place is necessarily to visit if you're in Trójmiasto!

An attraction to take a look at and experience, but it's not very eventful in and of itself. You can take a relaxing walk and check out the views and argue with the gulls a bit. It's pleasant and there is a cafe and a restaurant at the end where you can get something to eat or drink. All throughout the pier there are benches where you can take a break. The whole pier is crowded even during the off season but it's a must when in Sopot.

Stunning location, apparently one of the longest piers in Europe. The boardwalk is awesome and wide. In the summer you need you pay to enter the pier but we didn’t pay. Totally worth the walk to edge of the pier though.

An ideal place to relax and have lunch, both for children and adults, day and night. In this square there are bars, shops, cafes, restaurants, nightclubs and much more. Something nice for everyone. I recommend that tourists take a walk along the wooden pier built in 1827 and the beautiful sandy beach. You will have a nice time there!

Fantastic place on the very north of Poland. It cost to walk on the pier but not much. The town is busy as always this time of the year. There are cruises and fast boating experience is available straight from the pier. Also there is a restaurant at the end. There is a boat harbour also on the side where it is possible to enjoy or envy looking at the amazing yachts and speadboats.

It was a beautiful tourist attraction! I only had time to grab food and go, after walking on the pier. Well, I ate ice cream cone first because I didn't want it to melt. LOL It had lots of souvenir shops, restaurants and there were things to do like walk in the lighthouse.

Place changed over the years but still has this atmosphere. Definitely Must See when visiting Sopot. Tip. If you are visiting Gdańsk take a boat to Sopot. The journey takes around 1h but views are spectacular and you're going straight to pier, so you can avoid queues to get ticket at entrance.

Sopot Pier in Gdansk is an absolute gem of a destination that should not be missed. The pier's breathtaking views of the Baltic Sea and the lively atmosphere make it an unforgettable experience. Strolling along the wooden structure, with its charming cafes and souvenir shops, creates a sense of nostalgia and relaxation. Whether you visit during the bustling summer months or the more serene off-season, Sopot Pier offers a delightful escape. Watching the sunset from the end of the pier is truly magical, making it a perfect spot for romantic moments or serene reflection. The combination of nature's beauty and the vibrant atmosphere of Sopot creates an ideal balance for a day of leisure. If you're in Gdansk, a visit to Sopot Pier is a must-do, and you won't be disappointed.

Biggest wooden Pier in Europe and quite massive. As we come towards beach, pier we can see the crowd thronging this place but once in pier, we don't feel the same crowd thanks to the size of this pier which can accomodate lots of people.
Must visit place in Sopot and main attraction of Sopot and something unmissable. There are lot of spots where we can take pics. There is also an restaurant in the middle of pier. In summers there is an entry ticket of 9zl and there would queues for buying tickets.

A nice little town comes out of the train station leading to the pier. However, it's a little disappointing for its claim that the longest wooden pier in Europe. I expected the pier would go straight and to the sea. But this one is going L shape and part of it overlaps and disrepair. I am not sure does this counts as it. We found hundreds of jellyfish along the pier. Nonetheless, the beach is nice although the water is not clear. Also, you can find a lot of stalls selling gifts and souvenirs.

Beautiful pier! I visited during a busy long weekend holiday rush week.
At a walkable distance from the Sopot train station
You can get entry tickets for 10zł from automatic vending machines just outside the entry gate to the pier.
There are two bistros at the far end of the pier—enough benches to relax and enjoy the view of the Baltic Sea.
You can also hire a speed boat ride, a pirate ship, and a regular ferry ride from the pier.

I like this place. It is best for chill. especially during snowy winter days..
But it is meaningless to buy a ticket during summer. I can't understand why, specifically, summer they allow to enter only with tickets.

This modern museum is dedicated to the Polish experience during WWII. It contains shocking exhibits about the Holocaust and the Sovietization of Europe.
An impressive museum which tells the story of the Second World War with considerable clarity. The staff were friendly and the museum was generally very easy to navigate. My visit lasted around three hours and there was plenty to see in terms of videos, exhibits and text. Everything was available in English and lots of thought has been put into the design of the museum. Will likely revisit in the future.

I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about visiting this museum because it seems like Poland spends lots of money on World War II memories instead of investing millions in present happier projects. However, I was impressed with what I experienced. 🎫 So, I got online tickets, and there was no waiting line. It's recommended to visit this place at 3:00 pm at the latest because it takes around 2-3 hours to see everything without rash. 🎧 Audioguide - recommend because it's nicely synchronized with the area you enter. The history is presented very well, and the interior made me feel like time-travel at that time. I would say that it's worth visiting this museum at least once. It's a great piece of work—a very professional and international-level museum. ⭐️

The Museum of the Second World War left a profound impression on me. I spent nearly five hours there, engrossed in the detailed and comprehensive exhibits. The audio guide was fantastic, providing valuable insights into the context, lead-up, and events of the war. The museum's respectful and non-biased approach allowed me to learn a lot and gain a comprehensive understanding of the war's complexities. It was a remarkable educational experience that highlighted the importance of learning from history and appreciating the sacrifices made during that time.

The Museum of the Second World War in Gdansk is an exceptional and honorable place of historical and tragic memories.
Its organization is truly remarkable, making it one of the best organized museums I have ever encountered!
From its in-depth exploration of the root causes of the war to its meticulous depiction of the events and nations involved, the museum provides invaluable information. It is a rewarding and informative destination, a must visit when you are in Gdansk.
This space allows us not only to never forget this event but also to honor all those who endured the atrocities of this time.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all those who participated in the creation of this museum and who diligently ensure the maintenance of this singular and remarkable place.

You need to set aside 4+ hours. We purchased our tickets but forego the audio option as I had already read a post saying not required. There is a free cloakroom for outerwear - great idea. There is lots to see, read and hear. Very moving in places. Started reading and listening to as much as I could but after 2 hours, it became a bit of a struggle. There is only so much you can absorb however we were only half way through. By the time we left we had been inside the exhibit for 4 hours. There are toilets half way. Would suggest taking some liquid refreshment, which we had not. Probably why I started to struggle. There is a cafe on leaving and more toilets. The permanent exhibition is on the lowest level and there are a few steps down but also a lift. It is 29 PLN Zloty each for entry (approx £6 pp). Well worth the visit. Not suitable for children due to the amount of time you need to spend walking around.

A fantastic museum giving an indepth insight into the second world War from the Polish experience of it. The museum is packed full of exhibits well displayed. My only wish would have been that the cafe had been inside with the exhibits as it took over 3 hours to go around and a pause would have been good. We definitely recommend a visit.

A beautifully designed, modern, emotional journey through WW2. In depth exhibits and clearly marked touring directions.
Definitely worth a visit.
The only downside is the lack of reception as the main exhibit floor is underground, which could be a problem to some as thoroughly touring the museum can take an upward of 4 hours.

Highly detailed museum covering all aspects of WWII. Taking you from the background of the First World War through to rise of totalitarian and the war itself. Everything was well presented in Polish and English. It covers a tragic and very sad period of history in a well balanced way. You need to allow plenty of time for this museum.

Every Tuesday free museum entry. This museum is very informative. It covers entire spend of WW2. Well designed and organized exhibitions halls. Well worth entry cost if you are unable to visit it on a free day. It will take you about 2-3 hours to go over most of the material this museum has to offer. Some materials presented show killings and murder, so please consider this before taking young kids.

It's hard for me to describe this place. I'm curious and scared at the same time. Perhaps the creators of this and tried to achieve. The museum is quite large, it will take several hours, but I highly recommend finding them and seeing everything here. Poland was almost the most affected country in this war, and all the pain is perfectly conveyed here, probably in no other museum related to the war (except concentration camps) there is such detail. It is a pity that this place exists, but the past cannot be changed, all that can be done now is to visit it.

Visiting this beautiful gives you mixed feelings, gives you a sense of pleasure of how accurately the world war II has happened, how it happened and what impact it had in people, but on other hand it provides you with a sinking feeling of how actions by select few can impact lives of so many and how it leaves lasting impression on how we live.
Great presentation of facts and it does show how much impact has been created for Poland as an nation and remembering the unsung Poland heroes.

Unreal museum. So much history in one place. As a fan of this period, I was amazed by the way this era was portrayed. A lot can be learned and seen. Everything is very neat and orderly, so you can't skip anything. The museum is very crowded, so be prepared to be patient to see some of the exhibits. The ticket is around 4 euros and you can buy it directly there because there are a lot of counters and they are very fast. This museum is dedicated to documenting the history of Solidarity, a prominent trade union movement in Poland. It has exhibits on the dedication of Solidarity to freedom and democracy and its role in ending Communism throughout Europe. The museum is free to enter and there are various facilities available such as a library, conference halls, playground, and terrace.
This is a great museum. It was large and had signs in English and Polish. The staff were very friendly! The museum in itself was great. A large number of displays that provided a deep view in the Polish communism and the uprise and rebel of the polish people. This is perfect after going to the WWII museum to provide a more modern understanding of Poland’s history. The interactive displays are great. They also did an excellent job of combining displays with recreates of rooms and places etc. They emerge you into the environment creating an excellent experience. The exhibits provide a great in-depth view to life in the war! This is a must stop if you are in Gdańsk!!!

If you only have time to visit one museum in Gdańsk, CHOOSE THIS ONE! We absolutely LOVED this museum, it truly blew us away. The audio tour was outstanding, so easy to follow, so informative and well laid out. My husband knew very little about the solidarity movement and walked out so amazed. The interactivity of the museum is excellent and again, so easy to follow. You are completely immersed in the time period and transported to each moment through both audio and visual prompts. More museums should use this as a model. Highly, highly recommend.

SOLIDARNOST (Solidarity) - a very powerful, emotional and meaningful word in Poland. And, for a good reason.
I must admit despite excellent reviews I entered the museum with low expectations. Coming from a similar country I knew pretty much about the events that initiated changes in eastern Europe. However, after the first 15 min I was blown away and enjoyed the rest of my visit to maximum.
Museum is located north from old town Gdansk, just aside the entrance to the shipyard where it all began.
In front of it is a monument of 3 huge crosses with anchors on top of them to commemorate the victims of the first strike from Dec 1970. Interesting fact is that it was erected in 1980, still during communist oppression, and therefore is considered first such monument built during communist regime, but when Solidarnost gained some rights.
Museum architecture is amazing - ultra modern edifice with rust like modern facade resembling ship's body. Interior is a huge atrium like open space with glass and greenery resembling freedom.
From there, excellent audio guide takes you on a tour through several levels.
I rarely take audio guides as they're sometimes boring, with unnecessary facts and sometimes difficult to understand.
This one is state of the art - you don't need to do anything. It automatically tells you stories (easy understanding and with interesting and important facts) depending on your position where you are, and tells you the way you should go.
Apart from the audio guide, there are so many interesting exhibits, short movies, hands-on displays, articles from newspapers, pictures, personal items,....
If you have any interest in that part of Europe history, I strongly advise you to visit this museum. Count on around 2 hours for a proper visit.
Congratulations Poles on your will and strength to fight communism oppression and big respect to SOLIDARNOST

Awesome place, buy with the audio tour, it triggers when you are in certain points and guides you through. Lots to see. Anyone with an interest in freedom, human rights, free speech should see it (and all jaded politicians to remember what happens when you don't listen to the people)

Awesome place everyone must be visiting on their trip to Gdansk. Personally, I'm not a fan of audio guides but for this exhibition I highly recommend it since it is planned perfectly and the guide is interactive with the rooms. Long tour takes about 2.5-3 hours where the short one lasts 1 hour less. Nothing more, anybody who is concerned for these solidarity values would be in love with the place after the visit. Go and check here out immediately, you won't be disappointed!

I usually don’t use audio guides in museums and just prefer to read the texts in the walls. However, this museum changed my mind about that. It was one of the few highlights in my visit to Gdansk and a must see if you are in town.

Great museum! In two hours you can learn a lot about the Solidarity movement in Poland and how create the domino to make communism fall down. Really worth a visit there

I really enjoyed this museum. Tickets very cheap and definitely the best audioguide experience I have had in a museum anywhere, it just worked so well.
A really interesting insight into trade unionism and workers rights in Poland, powerful and inspiring

An extremely underrated museum: as someone who grew under the Commonwealth high school history curriculum, we learned about the Solidarity Movement as a footnote without much explanation.
However this interactive museum told its visitors the origins, development and aftermath of the movement and how life under the communist regime was like. Everything was presented in English. Don't forget to visit the less visited hall nearby where the Solidarity Movement was made.

A must-see museum dedicated to modern Polish history & "Solidarity", the Polish civil resistance movement against Communist regime. The building itself is very modern, accessible and easy to navigate and the permanent exhibition has huge amount of exhibits. There are also many interactive parts of the exhibition. Great place to learn more about the modern history about Poland (and Europe) and about the struggle for freedom in Communist Eastern Europe. You can buy tickets online to skip the queue and the audioguide (comes with individual ticket) is very informative.

Absolutely recommended for visiting when being in Gdańsk. It takes 2-2.5 hours to see, read and listen to the audio guide and get inspiration by the exhibition. I loved that place for its price as well. I paid 10 zł and was completely satisfied after. I’m really glad to know that there are places like this one! I was very interested in learning more about the formation of democratic Poland

The European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk is a beacon of historical remembrance and contemporary enlightenment. Its extensive exhibitions transport you back in time, providing a profound insight into the Solidarity Movement. The architecture is a symbol of industrial heritage, while the green rooftop symbolizes hope. Each corner tells a story of resilience, making it a riveting, educational journey. The staff's dedication enriches the experience, making it a must-visit epitome of Poland's enduring spirit.

Firstly I visited here for my free time without a big expectation. I bought a ticket there and went through the museum with an audio tour device. Since it was my first time in Poland, I had not known some historical events well. Throughout the tour, I could get to know how Poland could turn into democracy from communism by some tragic but honorable events. Thanks to this, I feel I could keep enjoying my travel in Poland.

Very enlightening - very moving. Almost mindblowing. The story of how the changes for the shipyard workers came into being, and the troubles ahead of 1980, is just fascinating and heartbreaking. Recommend to anyone to whom humanity, democracy and peace matters.

This Museum is good
Some interesting items to capture during world war 2 and polish involvement in it.
The port machines view from the top floor was good.
The cobblestone pedestrian promenade of Ulica Mariacka is lined with historic buildings and shops with charming little terraces. It's one of Gdansk's most photogenic lanes, and it was almost entirely reconstructed after WWII.

Stunning street with cosy buildings and an adorable cat, that I guess has lived her whole cat life on this street. I have been to Gdańsk several times and every time I can’t believe my eyes how beautiful and mystical a street can be - especially in the early mornings then it’s still sleepy and empty 😌

Charming street, specially in misty weather. Full of stonework details, stairways and balconies, it is the centre of te amber trade. Lots of choice and some good deals, alongside others not so good and probably a bit too expensive. I bought a few amber items in another street, not far from this one.

A beautiful and quiet street, really worth it to sightsee. Better in the morning or in a moment not too packed of people, you can feel -and live- the Gdansk old vibes 🙌😃, like travelling in a time machine 😁
Długa Street, situated in the heart of Gdansk's old town, is a historic thoroughfare flanked by notable buildings that links the Golden Gate to Green Gate. This wide street exudes a European ambiance and features an array of bars and restaurants with hosts offering enticing discounts. One can find the Hard Rock Cafe here as well. Though currently under construction, Długa Street remains an excellent place for walking and exploration of inner Gdansk city.
Great ancient stone flooring. Main street of old town.

If you are in Gdańsk, then this street is a must visit. This is the Main Street of old town Gdańsk. The most prettiest street with beautiful architectural buildings, consisting of cafes, museums, houses, shops, fountains, restaurants. Everything about this street is so unique and beautiful, I simply fell in love with this street.
Also at night there is a particular alley - Amber street where there are amber jwelery on glass display on the street, making it a wonderful experience to walk even during night.

Dluga Street, also known as the Royal Route is the main pedestrian old town street.
Have in mind this is not a shopping street like in many towns, but a very historic and beautiful street, restored with amazing attention after WWII devastations.
On its western side Dluga begins with two medieval gates - High Gate and Golden Gate and ends on the eastern side with Green Gate (former Royal residence, now a Museum) at Motlawa river. In between are postcard like restored Mannerism houses, imposing Old Town Hall with museum, Neptune fountain,...etc.
The street is specially beautiful at night

Malbork Castle is a prime tourist attraction in Malbork, Poland. This 14th-century Teutonic castle is home to a museum exhibiting medieval artifacts, paintings, and an impressive amber collection. The castle's construction began in the 13th century by the Teutonic Knights and served as their headquarters for almost 150 years. Its massive size symbolizes its significant history.
The largest brick Gothic castle in the world. And frankly speaking, it corresponds to its status 100%! I strongly recommend taking a tour with a tour guide, especially since his services are included in the ticket price. As of today (29.01.2022) the entrance ticket for one person costs 60 PLN. There is an opportunity to take a tour with a tour guide, or with an audio guide. The area of the castle is 16 hectares. Inside everything is beautiful, restored after the war. It is difficult to describe in words this beauty, you just need to come here and see everything. The tour time is 3 hours. Well, in everything else, you will be satisfied and impressed. Highly recommend! :)

Beautiful place. I always wanted to go there and I wasn't disappointed. Many exhibition. Visiting with the guide (paid extra) or free audio guides. Audio guides have different options and choices of visiting trails (longer or shorter). We picked kids trail to keep our children interested. I'd like to go back there and see the castle again with the guide.

Amazing castle to visit. Would really recommend buying the tickets online beforehand as the lines for the tickets get quite long. That being said it is an amazing castle and they have audio guides in several different languages including English, Polish, German, Lithuanian and more! The audio guides are excellent, the whole tour takes around 3 hours.
Taja Zuozait? — Google review
Great place to visit. We took the 3,5 h tour with family discount. We chose to buy our tickets at the ticket machine but would by tickets online next time, because you have to wait a little time. You mustn’t take the tour with the guide, even though it seems to be very good. But we chose to go alone because it was the right choice for us with small children. Wasn’t that easy with a stroller but you can leave it if you want in the yard of the castle. We recommend the extra trip on the top of the tower for 12 zloty. You will have a decent view. The audio guide is very informative. All together it’s a beautiful castle. The restaurant next to the riverside is also very nice.

Malbork Castle is an extraordinary historical marvel that I had the pleasure of visiting.
Before visiting, I did some research on the history of the Teutonic Knights, and I must emphasize the importance of doing so. Understanding their role in medieval Europe and their connection to the castle greatly enriched my experience. The layers of history came to life as I explored the impressive halls, courtyards, and fortifications.
The scale and grandeur of Malbork Castle are truly jaw-dropping. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply seeking a memorable cultural experience, Malbork Castle is a must-visit.

Wonderfully restored and maintained medieval castle and abbey. You can wander the grounds or follow an audio guide. The passages are not always well marked, but usually there is an attendant to direct you. Plan on spending 3 to 4 hours to view all the exhibits and rooms.

Best castle I have ever visited! We only visited the outside but it’s really cool exploring at your own place the courtyards and passages. The audio guide is extremely helpful is very easy to follow making sure you don’t miss a thing.

Audio tour was fantastic. I can’t recommend this enough, and we got there 5-10 mins before opening to ensure we got in before the crowds.
This place can get very busy in between bus loads of school children and tourists sightseeing what is still impressive but back in the medieval ages - truly amazing.
T HW44 — Google review
Best castle visit I have ever experienced. The audio guide is excellent and the castle is just straight out of a fairy tale. Allow at least three hours and perhaps four to squeeze in a couple of breaks. The formerly renowned restaurant called “Gothic” no longer exists. There is another newer restaurant inside but we did not try it. Excellent day trip from Gdansk! Easily reachable by a 50 min train ride from Gdansk central station.
Ignacio V. P?rez Mart?nez — Google review
This is by far the best castle I've visited. Huge and cinematic, it makes you feel a hero of some medieval movie. The interior is simply astonishing, and although it was almost entirely restored after WW2, it feels quite authentic.
I must mention the audio excursion that comes with the tickets. A highly professional narrative of the speaker is subtly spiced with audio effects depending on the room or space being currently observed by the traveller.
All the necessary utilities and infrastructure are available on the site. Parking is paid, around 6$ or something per day.

It's an impressive castle full of history. The biggest we have visited. The castle is enormous and well preserved. The audio guide was excellent to learn about its history.
Mariela Sandoval — Google review
Amazing Teutonic/medieval castle with a lot of history. It takes a while just to do the main route, so it’s best to block the whole day out to visit the castle. There are also night tours and other routes, but it’s best to start with the main/castle route. I would definitely recommend coming here!
Kat — Google review
A really HUGE castle and allow at least 3 hours for a visit, and 4 hours if it is busy. The audio guide is excellent and very much to be recommended if you want to avoid the crowds following the tour guides. I would certainly book ahead during the high season, but it's not necessary out of season, although visit as early in the day as possible as it still gets very crowded. The castle itself is superb, and new exhibitions are being added all of the time. Due to the number of staircases, many parts of the castle are currently inaccessible for wheelchair users, or the less able. Altogether a fantastic (though tiring) experience, and one that we will do again.

One of the most beautiful castles in Europe. The place has a great vibe and the tours are great. The audio guides come in multiple languages and are well explained. It's amazing how the restoration was done after the brutal world war. Highly recommended.

Huge place, make sure you have comfy shoes. Very interesting though, and a huge undertaking to get it restored to this state. Worth the visit, though the train from Warsaw wasn't cheap (though I bought it on the day, likely cheaper if bought in advance)

A fantastic Castle to visit. You don't need more than the audio guide and can go at your own pace. It's not a bad walk from the train station and there is plenty to see when there.

What an amazing place! Get an audio tour and take it at your own pace. In addition to the castle structure itself (which is huge and interesting), within the castle are collections that would make, on their own, fantastic museum collections. Be ready to spend five hours or so. Bring a lunch and take a break in the courtyard.

It's huge. Like really big. But also very very nice. The tour takes from 2 to 4 hours so prepare enough time to visit this jewel of a castle.
The staff is very helping and friendly which also helps with the experience

This has to be one of the most impressive historical sites in all of Poland. The castle itself has been mainted very well and is actively being looked after although it would be nice if their were a few more furnished rooms, but the ones that were were certainly very impressive. Their were two options on how to experience the castle, a guide, and an audio guide, which has an impressive amount of languages, it even had Lithuanian so I didn't have to translate for my mom. The guide lasted about 3 hours and took us through a variety of exhibitions. Some were art installations, and others showed historical trinkets. All in all, I highly recommend visiting this place!

Google doesn't have enough stars for me to rate this castle. It is very large and truly a city within a city. At least minimum 4 hours to go through the whole castle. The audio guide is well thought out, very interesting to listen to. Learning history with him and walking around the castle is just great. This is the best castle I have seen in my life, I was very impressed.

Absolutely fantastic! Conditions allowing, the best option is to split the visit in 2 days, so much history and information available that you don't see the time fly. The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and keen to to answer our weird questions.
If you're cool enough to know Polish or , like me, have a Polish person to help, great , alternatively you can have the audio guide.
Incredible work by the restoration professionals , especially after WW2.
Don't forget to refill your energy at the "little cellar" restaurant after the tour, located in the main courtyard. Proper Polish food 🥟🍲

The largest brick castle in the world is really impressive in size and beauty. Lots of history and magnificent interior. Malbork Castle is located less than an hour drive southeast from Gdansk. It is the biggest brick castle in the world, built by Teutonic knights in 13c onwards. Over the centuries it was enlarged becoming a fortress-town. It consists of 3 castles within its huge and long walls - High Castle (the first one with the Cathedral), Middle and Lower Castle.
Beware, on Mondays the Castle is open till 4PM and entry is FREE (with audio guide included), BUT ONLY the exterior - you wont be able to enter any buildings inside it.
We didn't know that and had no option to reschedule our visit as it was our last day in Poland. Despite that, we enjoyed our tour which lasted almost two hours with amazing GPS audio guide telling interesting stories and guiding you around

A really great visit, we opted for doing a guided tour, the tour guide had excellent English and was very knowledgeable, I would certainly say it was worth spending the extra for it as she really made the visit. Really fantastic history.
Quirky upside-down wooden cabin with 2 floors to explore, including displays of paintings.
Entry ticket on official site is 35 pln. Lady charges 42 PLN. Cannot enter upside down house due to construction. View from outside. However i had visited multiple times before. We mistakenly thought this was a large outdoor museum but it's relatively small and you can't go in all the houses. It's an interesting way to spend 45 mins to an hour and is not expensive. There's also plenty of parking. There seemed to be a couple of restaurants but they weren't open in early April. We drove from Gdansk thinking we would be there hours, but never mind, the scenery around the park was nice.

This is something you should do once. As an American tourist it was affordable (4 to 1 conversion currently), but for regular Poles too expensive, and no children discounts except for small children! We traveled through multiple EU countries and were used to (spoiled by?) our 12 and 14 year old getting discounts. This place has the flavor of Americanism, everything is the biggest, longest, best, etc. Longest indoor table, outdoor bench, etc. Largest grand piano, brewery, which don’t really fit considering this place has heavy historical themes, except to add more “biggest” bragging rights. The Siberian cabin and history was the most interesting part.

Three parts, the first educational, the second fairy-tale and the third climbing. The fairy tale part needs fixing. Climbing is best for children and educational for older children. I gave one less star because each part is paid separately.

A very interesting "gravity defying" piece of architecture and construction work. A must visit place in the outskirts of Gdansk through a very scenic road . Everything inside & outside the house is upside down. Some people find get a bit dizzy after some time inside the house as human brain could take a bit of time to get adjusted to this unusual place. I had too much fun. There are basically 2 floors inside the house and one can go to both levels. Some interesting paintings are in the "second " floor. Good place for photography too.
Pradeep Phukan — Google review
The ticket is 38zl. For nothing. On the area there are few other spots to walk but it’s pointless to come here. Just check the pictures and never come. And parking is also 10zl so you need to pay 50zl to go inside of a bunker (super small) see the longes log in the world (like anyone would care) and see smelly upside down house which is a 3 minute visit. Just not worth. Tickets should be max 5pln and would still be too much. Pointless.
Located in the village of Bobolice, Poland, Royal Castle Bobolice is a reconstructed 14th-century castle that offers impressive interiors for visitors to explore. Situated on a scenic hilltop, the castle has been meticulously restored by a private owner over the past 15 years and now stands as one of the top three most beautiful castles in Slaskie Poland.
A very picturesque and beautiful castle in Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowskiej.
The castle has been rebuilt by a private owner in recent years and
it is definitely worth to visit.
You can take photos in the castle chambers, but you must sign a commitment in advance that the photos will not be a source of income.

Michał Niezgoda — Google review
The castle is nice but the experience is disappointing because the visit is lasting only 30 minutes (even as they were very few visitors at the time) so we kind of rush and we are stressed for nothing. Let me clarify again: when you enter the castle, you have to leave 30 minutes later. There isn't much to see anyway so why the fuss about the time... There were a fair number of doors closed in the castle too (why...it's all new...). So I didn't feel like we visited the whole castle. We drove 1 hour to get there so it wasn't a very good use of our time. If you are nearby then it's ok but if you are further away then the visit is just too short. Apart from this again the setting is nice and also nice view but I just can't recommend with these limits above hence sadly only 2 stars.

Jasna Góra monastery in Poland is a renowned spiritual site that was established by the Paulite order from Hungary in 1382. The hill on which it stands, Jasna Gora, is considered as the country's spiritual capital. It houses several remarkable sacred artworks apart from the celebrated Icon of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa. Pilgrims visit this shrine to witness miracles attributed to this painting in Lady Chapel, although there are other notable attractions too.
Beautiful place, I love it. The services are very often and also in different languages. Car park by the road next to monastery costs 7.2 zł (1.5£) per 3 hours. You can also eat very good food not far from the monastery. We ate at Kredens and food was delicious. It is 3 min walk from main monastery gate.

The sanctuary of Jasna Góra is a meeting place for Christians of a large part of Europe. It does not matter which time it is, it is always crowded. The sanctuary and the church are beautiful, and the guided visit is very instructive. Anything you would like to know will be answered by them. It is near the centre of Częstochowa, and is located in the most beautiful area of the city, being the sanctuary the highlight of it. A compulsory visit if you go to Częstochowa.

This is a truly stunning place. The architecture is amazing, the interior is breathtaking. I am not religious but standing inside this building I can honestly say i was left humbled and at peace. The art work is amazing, the sacred Black Madonna is beautiful. Do not miss this opportunity.

One of the largest church in Poland with a huge yard and a wonderful interior. The statues outside and inside the building are very beautiful and are very old. Its then main attraction of the city. I would recommend to dedicate a whole day for it.

Part-restored 13th-century fortress with a museum, exhibition gallery in the dungeon, bar & dining.
This is an extraordinary and beautiful castle, straight out of a fairy tale. It has been sensitively preserved, creating good access without spoiling the character or atmosphere, though it's not really suitable for people with mobility problems or who find stairs difficult. Stunning views across miles of countryside can be had from the walls, and there is a bar serving coffee and hot mulled wine.
Julian Griffiths — Google review
Definitely place to visit. Very interesting castle ruins, well maintained. The path can be challenging if you have mobility issues as the staircases are quite narrow and steep and there are few places where steps were carved in rock and can be slippery. But if you are ok with that I recommend to climb the tower and enjoy the walk around this piece of history.
Andrzej Jaworowski — Google review
An interesting decent fortress with ruined parts. It is definitely WORTH VISITING. From aside there is a piece of rock. But as you get inside - a plenty of space+towers.

Beautiful old castle.
Good place to spend weekend with the family to see around.
But the only problem is there was no a proper public toilet. Which people really need in this kind of touristic place. The council or whoever responsible for this castle should consider to think about build a proper public toilet because the current toilet is really really bad..
Not to mention that you pay a ticket for entering this castle, so at least the customer will get something better not only the view/entertainment of the castle but also the public toilet must be clean and nice.

Nice place but very touristy. Missing a bit of the exhibition of the past life. It would be perfect to show more daily life of our past. But the awesome remains of a castle

Its nice, but honestly i am used to something different in Italy. Around the castle there is an amusement park, sort of, and tons of little shops and grills. It's nice because i ate there, but i think it would be so much better to improve the experience if it was more natural. Now its just a normal touristic attraction. Still nice inside

It was great experience to visit this castle 🏰. Takes you back to medieval times especially after watching witcher it makes you visualize more about the older times. The surroundings of the castle are great and you can have nice relaxed time there. If you are coming back or going to Krakow then you can visit this beautiful castle on the way aswell and this castle is also part of the castle trail in Poland in this region.

Absolutely breathtaking views. We loved this place. Great place for a family trip. Other than seeing the castle, for the kids, they have a ropes course, bumper cars, and a mountain coaster. We will definitely go back and stay a little longer.

If you want the best view from the eagle nests of Jan Kazimierz, then this is here. besides the castle there are very beautiful places nearby. Be sure to walk around the castle and take a walk around the nearby places. It is better to visit for the whole day. There is a cafe near the castle where you can have a lunch .

Excellent place to visit with family. It's a place for every age group. Kids can enjoy science park, rides, and miniature park. Adults can experience the beauty of medieval castle.
There are lots of souvenir shops from where you can buy beautiful things. You can also enjoy food and ice cream.
5/5 marks for this beautiful place.

I arrived a bit before 10 on Sunday morning. It was pretty quiet which was nice. The setting is really nice. The nature is just as good as the castle! The castle is huge and the views are amazing. There's tons of stuff to do for kids aside from visiting the castle. And, there are plenty of vendors if you want food/ drinks or souvenirs.
By the time I left it was getting quite busy. If crowds aren't your thing then go early.
Life-size dinosaur models & high-tech evolution displays, plus a time tunnel train ride & 5D cinema.
Really cool place with amazing dinosaurs! Affordable prices and good 5-6h of fun including theme park, bouncy castles and playground! Perfect place for kids!

It seems some attractions need a bit updating.

A great fun place for all the family. Lots to do for any age.. The food is petty decent too. There is a great variety of fun, with enough space to accommodate everything. Interesting interactive surprises. A very clever way to do it right. Been a number of times and always enjoy it. Downside is not enough staff, so beverage areas were closed and long queues. You must do the train ride!!

The Jewish Museum and Synagogue in Oswiecim, Poland, are located near the Town Castle and the Museum of the Town. The Memorial Auschwitz-Birkenau is just 3.5 km away, while Energylandia, Poland's largest amusement park, is situated 16 km away. Visitors can take guided tours of the museum and synagogue to learn about Oswiecim before WWII and commemorate the town's community through documents, photos, and archive objects that survived WW2 and the Holocaust.
I visited the museum for the first time in October 2021, after 4 times in Oświęcim.
We toured through the museum displays that commemorating the community of the town who have lived there in the past, through documents, photos, and archive objects that survived WW2 and the Holocaust.
The center contains the only synagogue that was not completely destroyed by the Nazis, and it is in good and caring loving hands.
As an Israeli and 3rd generation of Holocaust victims and survivors, this center is a wonderful, magical, educational, welcoming and worming place.
Our guides, Artur Szyndler and Kamil Gut were available to any of our questions, they showed a lot of knowledge and were very understanding and caring.
I returned there since then for 3 more times and found more new things each and every time.
GO AND VISIT !

Whenever I guide KL Auschwitz, I add a visit here (even if I have to pay for it out of my own pocket!).
A must see to understand what was destroyed by Nazis and what replaced it in notoriety (the KL and slave/death facility).

Beautiful renovated synagogue and interesting museum right next to it. We visited on a Tuesday. The present historicus Dr Arthur was helping us a lot with finding documents about my grandfather who lived in Oswiecim. Thanks a lot Arthur. The museum, synagogue and cafe Bergson are located on a beautiful, quiet area with a lot of green in April. Absolutely recommend.

An ABSOLUTE MUST for anyone who wants to have a real insight into what the Holocaust really meant for Poland and Europe. A very small, modern exhibition telling the heart-breaking story of a big and prosperous Jewish community whose hometown became the center of extermination of European Jews.

As someone whose grandfather was born in Oswiecim, I thought they did a really great job in preserving this community’s memory and honoring it. I’d recommend, if you can, to ask for the keys to the cemetery and go visit there as well, also a very powerful experience

I visited the museum and synagogue of Oświęcim right after visiting Auschwitz. I received a guided tour by a museum employee name Lily who was knowledgable and adorable. Lily walked us through the different exhibitions and helped bring back to life the Oświęcim before WWII. The visit in the museum and synagogue was educating and even uplifting, in a sense that while the residents of Oświęcim may be gone, the Jews and the people of Israel and the spirit is still alive. Am Israel Chai!

Very interesting museum and a lovely tour done by a German Social Volunteer. English, German and Polish tours possible. Visit to the Old Synagogue is also nice and Jewish groups are able to hold a prayer with the old Thora. Beautiful, even though equipped with replicas. Very well worth a visit but don't expect much information on World War II. It's about Jewish life in the city.

This place is outstanding. There is an amazing amount of history in one location. The unique presentation of centuries worth of artifacts makes this museum a must-see. The staff was very educated and helpful throughout my experience at the museum.

A visit to this educational center is a must if you are going to Auschwitz-Birkenau. This Jewish Center is particularly recommended for schools and students who want to understand the history of the vibrant Jewish life in the region prior to the Holocaust. I highly recommend scheduling a tour with one of the very qualified museum staff or volunteer. The thoughtful displays and commentary will give the visitor a better understanding of the history, and importance, of the Jewish civilization in East-Central Europe. The Center also has a very nice coffee bistro attached to the facility.

The Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp is one of the most notorious sites of the Holocaust. It contains displays of gas chambers, and remains almost completely intact. It is essential to visit both Auschwitz I and Birkenau in order to truly understand the horror of the place.
A must see in Poland. There is so much history here. It's a much more real experience to see the remnants first hand than to learn about it in school.
Garrett Descoteaux-Friday — Google review
It's worth going here to get some understanding of the scale and suffering that Jews and others had handed out by the Nazis during their time in power.
Walking around the camp just shows what man can do to fellow man. The suffering and death on an industrial scale.
The museum does well to preserve the past so we don't forget.
There is a lot of walking involved so plan ahead especially if you take a guided tour as they move quickly but do give you lots of information about the camp and the people who went through the gates, many for the last time.
Chris Mcloughlin — Google review
I am giving five stars mainly due to the fact that many people and organisations have taken concrete steps to ensure people don't forget what happened here during WWII. This place is a reminder of the darkest side of human nature, to torture and kill another human for the heck of it..
I would recommend this visit to everyone, and to soak in the history that took place not so long ago.
Rajan Thambehalli — Google review
It feels wrong to mark your experience as "loved it" for such a somber trip. It is however a trip everyone should make at least once in their life. Soon people who survived this horror will not be among us. It's important we remember and never let something like that happen again.
Barbara T. — Google review
Probably one of the most badly organised tourist destinations in the world !
Always wanted to visit but was very disappointed, the complete cluster fxxk of the main entry, the inability to secure private tickets in advance via a official site, this resulted in almost 45 min to wait in a outdoor line until we could get to the ticket office and then another 2 hour wait until our time slot to actually get through the gate.
I'd gladly pay €5-10 for advance tickets if I could get a guaranteed time to get in when I arrive.
Once in there was no real flow or direction of what to see or what order to see it in. The official map was about as much use as sand in a desert, honestly a 5 year old could have drawn a better plan.
Inside large tour groups dominated all the various things to see and we were often barged out of the way or unable to pass them while they blocked doors or things to see.
My impression of the place has been ruined by visiting it and then when coming out, they don't even have clear signage where to get public transport back or a covered bus stop.
The urban planner / architect who designed the new entrance and coach part obviously never tried visiting as a tourist.
Brenden Bithell — Google review
Easy to reach from Krakow, it deserves at least three hours of visit including the near Birkenau camp. Exhibitions are very well organized and documented. I'd have preferred to be alone in the visit, but I appreciated very much the guided tour lead by Lukasz Celta.

Incredibly somber and emotional experience. Seeing the scale of what happened here is overwhelming.
We visited on a nice sunny day, but I couldn’t help but feel what the conditions must have felt like for those held within the camp during the harsh polish winters.
A must see for anyone to remind us of what happened and try to ensure it can never happen again.

A huge museum, which is being restored to this day and is still being preserved. Book the tour in advance because you can get alone and for free only after 15:00. We got a very nice girl guide, it was very interesting and pleasant to listen to.

This was part of my bucket list of places to visit and WOW it did not disappoint. Large zoo with a conservation program housing iconic animals on an island in the River Oder.
This zoo is beautiful and big. There is English posting for names and much information in Polish that can be translated with Lens. The ice cream was delicious and very clean place. Even better zoo than I imagined. You can see the animals really close. It's really modern, clean, and has beautiful waterfalls and an overall vibe. We went on a rainy day, so there were almost no other visitors besides me and my girlfriend, which made it feel like a private tour. We were there for at least 2.5 hours and still didn't see everything that the zoo had to offer.

Buchlov Castle, one of the most massive Czech castles, is situated on a hill with the same name. The heavily fortified hilltop castle offers stunning views of the Chriby (Mars Mountains) from its observation tower. The castle houses a museum with artifacts from the area's history and offers several tours for visitors to explore its grounds and learn about its rich heritage. While there are ongoing renovations and limited amenities such as a gift shop, the informative guides make the visit worthwhile.
Nice castle, quite well known within the Czech Republic. They have several tours and even with kids of the age of 3 years you'll enjoy trip. Overall there are 3 main tours and then some more (but not so often) if I am not mistaken, there is one tour per 10-15 minutes.
You don't need to buy tickets in advance. Maybe just for weekends when there will be more people coming, but when I went there on mid august, there was still approximately 10 places left for each tour.
For English speakers, some tours will give you an English text so that's quite nice to have.
As for a pictures, our guide told us that we can take them, but we cannot use flashlight (even tho the sign right below stairs says no pictures at all). The guide we had knew really a lot, and was able to answer all questions we gave her.
As a bonus, there is a restaurant inside the castle. Not very big choice of food, but when you're hungry, you'll eat anything.

It's a beautiful tower but if you are with small kids you will not be allowed to go inside the castle as it's possible to do only with a guide in a group and kids can disturb people around. The area "outside" the castle is free to visit. It's really small but you will find a lot of corners for good photo shoot. Near the castle is a place for parking (free) and cafe with simple food. There you can pay ONLY with CASH!!! So take enough of cash money. The road from parking to castle is easy, so you can go there with kids for sure.

Nice area. A bit history-failing, that even history mentioned like battle of 3 emperors, Czechs are added a 4 cornered column with themselves also on it feels like Czechia fought also in the battle and same sized as the Russian, French or Habsburg empire. Also the 4 trees - even it is a great idea to put trees from the participating countries - but the Czech tree..
