This historic, trapezoid-shaped castle on a rocky hill offers sweeping ocean views from its towers.
Fantastic for a quick visit not to expensive tickets at only 4€ per person.

Good for a 45-60 minute visit as it's not too big. Nice views of the sea on one side and mountains on the other. There were information tablets along a route set in the castle, but they only described the architecture rather than the history.
Mattias Hallberg — Google review
Walk through the maze of narrow streets to the top of the hill to find this castle. Restored walls make for an interesting walk through. There are no relics to speak of as it isn’t a museum but there are audio tours available to describe what you are seeing. The views of course are spectacular in any direction from the tops of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the north to the beautiful shoreline of the Mediterranean Sea. The man selling tickets (4 euros) was pleasant and informative.
Chris Bartholomew — Google review
The views from de castle were spectacular.
Very nice castel and very cozy city of Salobrena.
Lucia Ojog — Google review
Historic castle which has been rebuilt over centuries. Recent excavations showing 15th century Moorish baths. Great views. Nice climb up narrow streets to get there, or a bus if required. 4 or five great tapas bars nearby - if you can find them.

Loved this place. So beautiful. Excellent views. 2€ entrance fee. Drove to top. Parked. Lovely hotel /restaurant. Food good. Service good.

Worth a visit to this historical castle. It's easy to walk round with clear pathways and written information points. Great views from the top. Toilet facilities inside.

Lovely old castle with spectacular views, and a fascinating walk through the old town of Salobrena to get there. Entrance is free. Closed in the afternoon between 1pm and 5:30pm.

Nice views. Well restored. You can walk up from the bus station (leave bread crumbs) or pro tip - take a taxi up and walk back down :)

The old part around the castle is an absolute must to see. Gorgeous ❤️
laura mason — Google review
I may be partial because the Alhambra is 15 minutes walk from my house but this fortress lacks a lot. It's beautiful from below but once you are in all that's really beautiful are the views below. There is a section labeled Arab baths but it's mostly covered by later patios. 4 euros for each adult.

Castillo Arabe was begun by the Moors. Then the Christians from as early as 800's AD.
It has been renovated and commands fabulous views from the Battlements. The Towns of Motril abd Salobreba stretch out along the Mediterranean Coast line. Costa Mediterraneo.

Only $4 admission and such good VFM.
Steep hill to climb to get to the castle ,and limited parking( once you've driven up the very narrow, windy streets)but worry the effort.Check the opening times ( opened at 17h when we went)
Amazing views, a brilliant experience
Tim Cannon — Google review
Steep climb to castle but worth the effort especially for the views, which, considering why castles were built is obvious. Only 4euro entry fee.
Paul Bateson — Google review
This place is definitely worth a visit. A white Andalusian town Salobrena is topped by a medieval Arab fortress. Do not be lazy to climb up the mountain and see the stunning view of the cozy town, the marvelous sea and beautiful mountains. The castle is well maintained, all necessary information is available. The legend of the castle is beautiful and magnificent. If you are lucky as i were you will feel and see the soul of Zorahaida in a butterfly messenger.
I'm really greatful to the man at the entrance (Manuel) for his politness and readiness to help. It was very pleasant of him.

El Majuelo Botanical Park is a charming botanical garden located in Almunecar, nestled between the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. It boasts a diverse collection of tropical and subtropical flora, as well as well-preserved ruins of a Phoenician fish salting factory dating back to the 4th century BC. Beautiful park near the centre of the old town and close to the beach. Great outdoor venue for various music acts and fairs

(Translated by Google) Very close to Granada and distributed between the provinces of Granada and Almería. Steep landscapes and very typical and pleasant towns. Many rural houses in all the towns of the Alpujarra. With its characteristic architecture. In Lanjarón, there is also a lot of hotel options, thanks to the spa and being a good starting point for visiting the area.
The most typical towns are Pampaneira, Buión and Capileira, which can be visited on the same day, although if you like hiking it is a good place to stay and take routes from there. Spectacular views from these towns in the Sierra Nevada and you can see Pico Veleta and Mulhacén. Very picturesque towns dedicated to tourism and crafts. From Capileria, the highest town in the ravine, there are impressive views.
If you go through the Alpujarras, be sure to visit Trevélez, one of the highest towns in Spain, and eat in one of its restaurants with a view of the valley. Ham is typical in this town. You can also order Alpujarreño dish, a hearty dish not suitable for all stomachs, but those who like it will repeat.
The roads are worthy of mention, escaped ravines, impressive curves, viewpoints that leave you breathless...

(Translated by Google) Breathtaking scenery. It is also worth taking a detour to the town of Trevelez, where you can buy delicious ham made there. However, the pork for the ham does not come from the area, but from all over Spain, as we were told. This is because the Alpujarras are under special protection and keeping pigs is forbidden... the ham still tastes great! :-)

Atemberaubende Landschaft. :-)

Absolutely brilliant, fun way to see Nerja. Really enjoyable, the guide was lovely, the route was good. Instruction was spot on, even for total beginners. It's quite costly for a holiday activity, but personally I thought it was good value for money and well worth it. I'd very much recommend them - next time I think we'll go for a Segway tour of Granada!

Really loved it, your guide Sam couldn't be more accomodating. I was sceptical being a family of very different interests but all 3 of us loved it. My advise to a novice is Don't doubt yourself and your capabilities of manouvring -it was so easy after a few minutes. I avoided a segway tour in many cities but I will now do it every time. Cannot recommend enough. A+++

A nice long beach with promenade just off main road. Lots of restaurants & cafes and a few shops. More found in the side streets leading to main road. There is a small children's play area on the prom. Large car park beside the Riu hotel(now changed its name,) giving access to the beach. Various areas renting loungers and shades .

I have to admit that I had never ventured to Torrox Costa beach before I was stunned by the fact of just how nice it is. The beach is just a few miles away from Nerja and it is a long level stretch of sand that goes for miles. It is skirted by a wonderful flat promenade with resturants, cafe bars, children's play areas with just a few feet of the sand. I can't recommend this area highly enough because it is a shining example of how a beach resort should be. It is perfect people with disabilities through to families with young children.

Av. Costa del Sol, 29793 Torrox, Málaga, Spain
I'll never travel to Madrid without this trip planner again
The Nerja Caves are a spectacular cave complex located 4km east of Nerja in the Costa del Sol region of southern Spain. The caves were not discovered until five local men stumbled across an opening in 1959, and they are now one of the most popular tourist attractions in Costa del Sol. The cave complex is filled with fascinating rock formations, subtle shifting colors, and stalactites and stalagmites that evoke the look and feel of a submerged cathedral.
Amazing place 🤩A fabulously beautiful cave. I have never seen such a great cave hall before. Totally monumental rock formations. Like from some fairy tale. Perfect place for some fantasy movie. I highly recommend visiting this cave. Don't miss it.
Raff Tatee — Google review
The caves are impressive. Everything is built up so it is as comfortable as possible. Gift shop was nice, parking was free at least when we went. My only complaint is it is not accessible ♿
Tatiana Popovitchenko — Google review
Very interesting site. Crowds limited and well managed allowing room to move at your own pace, take photos and listen to the commentary. Download the audio guide prior to arrival to save others waiting behind while you sort out your issues. Make time for the virtual reality experience. It is short but very entertaining. Beat the crowd on the tourist train by booking an early spot.
M J — Google review
Makes for an excellent half day visit! The caves are fantastic - huge, and with a very interesting tale of how they were found and of the people who lived there in prehistoric times. A tour of the caves will take about 40 minutes to an hour, but there is quite a bit more to see and do. The virtual reality show is definitely not to be missed!
Malcolm Cliff — Google review
Totally fascinating caverns! It's a good idea to ensure you have the audio guide downloaded & ready to play. There are many steps, but there are some benches to rest along the way. It's quite warm deep in the cave so you won't need your coats.
Christine Swan — Google review
Cueva de Nerja is not just a cave. It is a complex where you can have a good time, including a picnic area and a children's playground, a museum and a VR room. Large parking lot - price 2 euros (pay with coins when leaving)
The cave is very well equipped, safe and very cool. You need to download the audio guide and listen to the information on your own according to the numbers that are clearly visible in each hall.
Entrance costs 17.50€ at the entrance or 15.50€ when you buy online.
It is possible to visit the cave for free... every day there are 60 free tickets for 09.30. Tickets must be ordered on the website and received 48 hours before visiting the cave. This ticket includes a visit to the Nerja Museum, which is located in the center of Nerja
Oleksandr Protsenko — Google review
What an amazing place!
Beautiful deep caverns full of surprises! The chambers get more stunning as you walk through. It's worth a visit to the VR area. This really enhanced our visit, and the restaurant was super, too.
It was quite busy so would recommend booking in advance.
samantha robertson — Google review
Loved our experience here. I had never visited a cave like this and was really impressed. Make sure the audio guide is downloaded to your phone before in full because there won't be wifi in the cave! They try to take photos of you and a tourist item and have you buy it at the end. If you don't want it anyway just refuse the photo at the beginning
Kara — Google review
By far one of the most exciting place I've ever been. It's a giant natural cave completely hidden from the ground.
Highly recommended.
There wasn't so much queue but tickets can be purchased online.
Remember to download the guide before getting down the cave. obviously there is no internet connection down there.
Not for people with disability.
Andrea Paindelli — Google review
I had a decent experience. The cave formations were interesting to see, but I felt that the lack of storytelling detracted from the overall experience. It was a bit difficult to fully appreciate the history and significance of the cave. That being said, the natural beauty of the cave formations is still worth seeing and they are magnificent, and if you're in the area it's worth a visit. However, if you're looking for an immersive and educational experience, I think there still needs a lot to be done.
Linh Phan — Google review
Awe inspiring caves - gigantic structures, better than expected. not accessible for wheelchairs or buggies. Lots of steps.
Nice gift shop and restaurant with great views afterwards.
Train to and from the caves - timings and stops online were incorrect. Could have more accessible stops on route.
Sophie Took — Google review
Absolutely must see if on a visit to Malaga, the caves are astonishing, photos can't capture the intricate beauty of this natural work of art. The virtual reality room experience was amazing. Toilet facilities are clean and the view from the restaurant located on site is breathtaking.
Priti L — Google review
Too long queues. Got train up and back €4. Too far down obviously have to climb back up very steep steps. Lots of people sweating like a fat kid at an all you can eat buffet. No mention of this for us "young uns" . In my opinion €18 entrance fee is far too much. The sales person said" including the train there and back and doing the caves should take 2 hours. Train ride 15 minutes, inside Cave no more than 7 minutes. Train ride back 15 minutes.
Michael Little — Google review
The Cueva de Nerja caves are known for their stunning stalactites and stalagmites, as well as the prehistoric cave paintings. It serves as a popular tourist attraction and a site of scientific interest. Plenty parking in February and the caves were warm enough lots steps to climb so won’t be suitable for those with breathing issues and mobility issues - there is a virtual reality show in a building to right of ticket booth please don’t miss this absolutely amazing show you actually feel your taken back 40000 years I personally wish I’d gone into this before entering caves as it gave you a better understanding of the actual caves - beautiful restaurant botanical gardens and toilets - little picnic area in gardens the entrance fee is excellent value at approximately 17 euros
Debz X — Google review
Great place to bring your family. There are plenty of things for kids to do beyond just the cave, which was interesting. The second chamber is pretty cool. But there is also a restaurant and activities for the whole family. It was very clean and well organized.
Christopher Acarregui — Google review
A must visit attraction when you're nearby. A spectacular cave with plenty of unique elements. What's interesting is that this cave was discovered not so long time ago. It also has very nice facilities, including a playground for kids (probably the best one in Nerja).
Micha? R — Google review
Simply stunning and awe inspiring place to see. The huge rock formations have to be seen to be believed. And to think it took millions of years to look like that. Audio guide or no audio guide it’s a fabulous photo opportunity. Acres of space to move and well lit. Well priced too. And you get a nice photo to take away. Nice walking distance to Nerja.
Paul Anderson — Google review
Wasn't expecting this at all!! You really go deeper and deeper into the cave and it's fascinating to stare at the cave structure. For me, I really enjoyed it but I did have to adjust for the first 5 minutes because I felt somewhat claustrophobic, however, once you do down further there is a lot of space. Do not do this if you have any issue with stairs, you will be walking down and up a lot of stairs. It's also quiet hot in the cave so dress appropriately.
Sinead Kennedy — Google review
Absolutely incredible sight to see! I was hesitant in going as I thought a cave system wouldn’t be as fun but I was completely wrong. The cave is massive and is really beautiful, a lot of history in these caves since they were discovered and the surrounding areas (Botanical Garden and mountain trails) make it even better. If you are staying in Nerja or even south Spain please go and visit as you won’t be disappointed!
Jago Clark — Google review
There's no doubt that the caves are impressive. It's worth the trip just to look at the stalagmites, stalactites, and various other rock formations. If you expect to see cave paintings, you will be disappointed. The caves have a cyanobacterium that grows in the presence of artificial light that would be necessary to see the paintings. Were they to light the paintings, the bacterium would destroy them.
Rod T. — Google review
The caves of Nerja are a must see while visiting. They are super impressive and I can definitely recommend getting the audio guide as you will hear the history of the place. It has a lot of steps and you will go down quite a bit. I recommend buying the tickets online and in advance. We looked the tickets up online and they cost €15.00, you have to book a timeslot though. We didn’t do that and payed for them directly at the counter and paid €17.00 per ticket. Therefore, I recommend buying them online.
Cheyenne Blatter — Google review
Average €80 entrance price. It was a beautiful cave but I'm not sure it was worth the price for a family of 5. They charge additional for the photo they take just before you enter. But the grounds are kept very well. They have facilities inside the area. Beautiful lighting inside for viewing geological structures. It took maybe 20 minutes to see the whole thing.
Marcelina — Google review
Absolutely amazing experience! Booked tickets online that included the train ride from Nerja. Go early in the day if you also want to do the 2 hour hike from the park. We didn’t have time,as there was only one last return train on the schedule at the end of the day. The caves are spectacular. Be sure to download the app so you can listen to the podcast! Really incredible to be underground for so long and see so much!

Overrated, overcrowded, and overpriced!
Standing in a que for over an hour in a cave!
And on top of that, the personel had the biggest attitude. When taking a picture, we've got rudely being told to move on and if not obeyed to be kicked out.
I expected more.. See the pictures of what to expect.
Alexander Schaaij — Google review
It's one of the prettiest caves I have seen and a great place to visit during the stay in Nerja, however I felt like there were a little too many human changes made to the natural structure of the cave. I prefer a little less lights, stairs, tiles and wooden railings.

The caves are interesting. I could not get the audio guide to use my Bluetooth headphones so I had to broadcast it to the people around me. Not good. Also be aware that if you don't like heights then you might have a bit of a problem. There are several places with 30m drops.

Sammi Simpson — Google review
This chocolate shops sells so many different types of dark, milk, and white chocolate that you wouldn't find anywhere else, at a very good price at about €1.50 for a small bar.
The chocolate is fantastic quality and I loved the variety such as blueberry and banana.
There is an English menu on the reverse of the Spanish menu which is very helpful when ordering. The staff were very accommodating around the language barrier but were friendly and welcoming.
You also get a small packet of testers which I liked, although this does contain a piece with nuts.
They also sell milkshakes and ice cream in a wide variety of flavours.
The kitchen is behind the counter, where they make the chocolate, and there is information about the chocolate in the entry hallway, although this is in Spanish.
I would not describe the shop to be wheelchair friendly as it is underground and the slope to it is quite steep.

This is one of the best escape rooms EVER. Especially the fact that the host gets into character right from the start, is so cool. We don't speak Spanish but we got help in French. We absolutely loved it from the first minute till the last.

(Translated by Google) We have been a group of 6 people, it was the first time we tried an Escape Room and we loved it. As soon as you arrive you get into the role and you put yourself in detective mode. If you get stuck somewhere they will give you a clue, but never reveal anything important. As time progresses, you feel the pressure, and you're going to get a scare for sure. The guy who was there has played the role very well, it must not be easy to hold back your laughter when you see six of us. The price is 100% worth it, you are going to have a very entertaining time and it is an experience that is worth it without hesitation. I would recommend it to everyone, we liked it a lot!

Guadix is a town in the province of Granada that occupies part of an elevated plateau among the northern foothills of the Sierra Nevada.
When I visited the town I thought it a rather quirky sort of place. I had driven there from Almería and as I approached the town it appeared to be set amidst a lunar landscape. The town centre is conventional enough. The Cathedral with its Baroque tower looked impressive from the outside but inside I felt that it was rather dark and gloomy. It stands in the Plaza de Constitución and this area of the town, the Barrio de Santiago, has many fine buildings.
There are two other districts in Guadix - the Barrio de Santa Ana and the Barrio de la Cuevas. The Barrio de Santa Ana is the old Moorish quarter that consists of a network of narrow alleyways with whitewashed house, decked out with floral arrangements. However, the most famous feature of the town is the cave dwellings in the Barrio de la Cuevas where around half the population live. When I visited the area, I thought that I was in a scene from 'The Lord of the Rings'! It was just like 'The Shire' - with little white chimneys poking out of the ground! The caves are not primitive dwellings, however but are a solution to the fierce heat of the Andalucian summer. The interior of the cave houses are cool in summer and warm in winter and have all the necessities of modern living - it is quite strange seeing television aerials on the little hillocks!

Oleoturismo Jaén - San Francisco Oleícola S.L. offers an intimate and informative tour of a working oil mill near Baeza. The owners, Manuel and his brother, provide a personalized experience, guiding visitors through the olive trees and demonstrating the process of transforming olives into high-quality oil. The tour covers the history, production methods, and the qualities that distinguish extra virgin olive oil.
We came with our two kids and everyone enjoyed the visit. The lady doing the tour was very informative and engaging, allowing us to interact and have all of our questions answered. We now have a deeper understanding and appreciation for extra virgin olive oil. We bought our favorite oils for home and some olive beer that we're eager to try!

We took a private group tour to this small family oil producing factory and were treated to olive oil tasting, a small cooking course, an historical overview of olive oil production and finally a tour of the modern techniques currently used to produce olive oils. This region is the largest producer of olive oil in the world. Olive groves are everywhere! Our guide was very thorough and had an excellent grasp of english. One of the owners joined us for lunch and shared fun and delightful stories about growing up producing olive oil for human consumption.

We spontaneously visited this Oil Production Facility and it turned out to be an amazing and unique experience!
There are different guided tours in Spanish, French and English. The guided tour we took was just with the both of us and we learned a lot about the history, production and also the quality of olive oil. It was awesome seeing the old and new machines and realizing what a difference in quality and quantity this technological advances have made! We will never ever again leave our Olive Oil standing in the open sun or judge the Oil by its color. ;)
Moreover, you shouldn't leave this place without taking some of the unique and delicious products sold in the small shop with you. :)

My husband and I love olive oil and have always been curious about the process. We wanted to do a tour that was not part of a bus tour but something more intimate. Manuel and his brother own the plant and he led us on a tour of the olive trees, showing us how, when and why they harvest them and then back to the plant to show us the transformation from olive to oil. We had a tasting at the end which was illuminating. My only regret is that I didn't buy more olive oil at their well-stocked store. Luckily the olive oil is also available on line!
Karen — Google review
We stopped by without reservation in an attempt to get a tour and tasting of olive oil. Unfortunately the official full guided tours where full when we arrived. However we still got a short tour and explanation of the factory. Good experience and very interesting. But I definitely recommend to book in advance and also go for tasting if possible.
Anders Tonning — Google review
Had a great time and has the added bonus of watching the machines in action at sundown (from the olive being unloaded and funneled into a hopper, separated from the branches, washed, etc)
Luis has inherited this business from his father and has won many international awards for his extra virgin olive oil. He was a hospitable guide, fluent in english, and shared insight into the art of olive oil tasting and how olive oils are critiqued and the care it takes to ensure his product is top quality.
Delicious educational and fun!

Booked and paid online just a day before for our visit on 7 May. There were only two other people visiting at the same time. Our guide (a young blonde haired girl from Baños de la Encina) was very enthusiastic. She spoke solidly for more than half an hour, then gave us time to look around by ourselves. The tour was in Spanish. I didn't ask if there was an English option and can understand that it would take twice as long to do it in two languages. It would be nice if there was a paper copy of some key points in English for foreigners whose Spanish isn't fluent. We loved the castle and would definitely recommend the tour. There is a large public car park just below the castle, near the tourist information office.

You can feel history in places like this. Old convent and castle. The guided visit is a must. The views from the top of the castle are impressive. It was intended to protect the pass to the north from muslims in the south. The road to the castle is really bad. Sharp uneven rocks give an ancient look but also the feel. Restaurante San Antonio Valdepeñas offers a taste of regional Spanish cuisine and an impressive selection of wines, all within the charming setting of an 18th-century building. The restaurant is highly regarded for its outstanding food, excellent service, and inviting ambiance. Diners can savor a variety of dishes, from exceptional risotto to delectable fish and tapas, complemented by a great wine collection.
The food was excellent, and at a fair price (€17.90 menu with 2 courses, bread, drink and dessert). I couldn't finish my cachopo and was offered to takeout.
Unfortunately the serving time was extremely high (almost 50 minutes waiting until the first dish), but they told us they had a problem at the kitchen and is not the norm. I believe them, and I still rate 5 stars because of the extremely good quality/price ratio. Just beware it's not a place to eat in 40 minutes.

Absolutely outstanding in every way, this place is one of the area's hidden treasures, which, if you're in the area, you cannot afford to miss. Ambiance, service and foodwise, very much worth the kilometers that many endure in order to reserve a table here. An outstanding risotto, great fish, tapas and - as behooves the area - a great wine selection. You will absolutely travel back in order to enjoy the varied items, a-la-carte or in a tapas-style experience. Try it once, and become a lifetime regular. Also great for that business occasion or important event, with an absolutely unbeatable price/quality balance, with which you will undoubtedly surprise your associates and guests. Came after 17 years to watch the play El burlador de la sardina, as part of the International Classical Theatre Festival directed by Ignacio García. The Corral de Comedias dates back to the XVII century and is, together with the one in Alcalá de Henares, the oldest in the world. These were the first theatres, contemporary of Shakespeare’s original Globe, where people would use the patios between houses to represent plays. If the plays were successful, lots of people came by horse, reason for which you still tell actors and actresses, directors and technical staff, when you’re about to do a play, the phrase “Mucha mierda.”
Anand Enebral — Google review
Classic spanish theater. Offers guided visits. It is an inner "patio" of old houses, where audience occupies the ground floor and the balconies in small wooden chairs. No roof, just covered with some awning to protect from sun (or cold days). Plays are also centuries old. An interesting experience.

Small national park & migratory bird site, explored by off-road vehicle, Segway or on foot.
Peace, tranquility and surrounded by nature. That is how everyone should spend at least one day every few months! Las Tablas is free, a lovely walk while admiring, small birds, geese, ducks, etc. The trees are amazing! There is a boardwalk to get you over the wetlands safely and to get you as close as you can to admire the scenery. There is a big parking area, restrooms, visitors center, observation area, and plenty of benches along the walk to take a rest if you need too. A wheelchair can make it through with some help (through some dirt areas). This is a very nice National Park which has been under the government's protection for over 50 years. I totally recommend a visit.

It so desperately needs more water to reestablish its glory. What little remains still holds a great compliment of birds, however the majority of the reed beds are now dry.
The reserve is expertly maintained by a dedicated staff. But will it ever return to its former glory? Not with fields of new vines and olives planted sucking water from the water table. Nation help is needed to retain this Spanish treasure!

We visited on a sunny and warm Sunday afternoon at 6pm. There were still 100's of families, couples and guided parties walking round the various routes. We were lucky though to have a guide who was able to explain quite alot in English. The levels of water have fallen due to the dry weather and this has pushed the wildlife further away from the walkways and viewing areas. I suggest you either take a pair of binoculars with you or go on a guided walk that provides them. I think the best time to visit if you want to see as much wildlife and in particular the birdlife is in the mornings and from Monday to Friday as the numbers of people visiting are significantly lower than at the weekends. There are toilets situated at the start of your journey so I would say if you need to go do it before you set off walking. There is also a small shop selling souvenirs as well as snacks, water and ice cream etc. Try to visit in April and May or even earlier as the water levels drop as the summer months approach. On the plus side if you have travelled in a campervan or you are towing a caravan, you can stay overnight in one of the grassed car parks. Remember to bring your own food as Daimiel is about 14km away.👍👍👍👍

On the day, protesters had closed the main road to Daimiel, so I detoured by Villarubio de los Ojos.
I expected Google maps would take me on the minor road to Daimiel town but Google maps was rubbish, taking me along rough farm tracks, told me to turn left onto a field - no tracks within 200m. It insisted on directing me to a hide that is only accessible on foot from the visitor centre, but refused to direct me to the visitor centre.

A beautiful Natural park to spend with Family and Friends. It was a beautiful experience walking around the park. During summer it is good to visit during morning because it could be very hot during tge middle of the day.

Bird watching in an easy way. Almost flat and well prepared with walkways over the water takes you to the observation posts. From these wooden cabins it is worth to use long shot photography and telescopes to watch wild life upclose. Big cranes arrived early november this year in numbers.
Ducks, storks, herons, cormorans...

These windmills are really well preserved and the area surrounding them very well done. If I compare the visit to the windmills in Consuegra, this visit was more pleasant. There are several bars, cafés and souvenir shops right next to the windmills. We had a coffee and a snack while sitting and admiring the views. The parking area wasn't huge, but they are working on it...this area is in construction and when it is finished, it will be even better. Very good experience overall. If you can only visit one set of windmills on the Don Quijote trail, let it be Campo de Criptana. No tickets needed.
Michelle Martínez — Google review
Difficult to reach, but if you can get there either by local train or rental car (our option), it's worth the visit. Nice to see small towns in Spain that aren't overrun by tourists and remain true to their own culture. The atmosphere is very calming, as there is almost nothing going on during the day, and the streets are empty. This also means that everything was closed for a couple of hours in the afternoon, presumably for a siesta.
The windmills themselves are magnificent and stand on top of a hill that has a good view of the rest of the town, as well as a landscape of distant mountains beyond.
Tourist Information center spoke little to no English, but were nice, and provided an interior tour of one of the windmills.
Not much else to do in the town except visit the windmills, but it's worth it for a few hours long day trip.

I went there on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't crowded. The scenery was beautiful. The Cafe was more expensive than I thought.

What a wonderful place to visit! The views from the top are breathtaking. There are a number of windmills with working machinery and a traditional house that are opened to visitors. Additionally, there is a gift shop and a few very nice places to eat.

We've been to both but if you are short on time, we think this is a very good option instead of Consuegra which is heavy on tourists.
Luis R Granados — Google review
Very good examples of windmills, unfortunately you can't go inside any of them.

Wonderful place to visit. Near is excellent michelin recommended restaurant. From this position you have best view on the city. And ofcourse you can enjoy in famous Don Quixote windmills. Visit is free, but some windmills are open where you can buy souvenirs or learn more about culture of the area and more about windmills.

It was great to see the windmills the views from up here are amazing
Kevin Gast — Google review
Beautiful location with the best views of the city! These famous windmills have been featured in Don Quixote’s match scene so if you’re a fan of the book, a visit is worth it! It’s free to visit plus some windmills are open sometimes so you can go in and view the inside as well which is fantastic. There are gift shops and restaurants here as well so if you want some original Don Quixote gifts or food, this is a reasonable place to purchase them.

I'll never travel to Madrid without this trip planner again
Twelve whitewash windmills built in the 19th century for grinding flour with a tourist office.
Visiting the windmills in Consuegra transport yourself for a moment to Don Quixote. A place full of history and magic. You can enjoy a unique view where the photos do not need any filter to be spectacular. This is one of the emblematic points that are part of the Don Quixote route. 100% recommended

If time is limited, go to the end parking lot directly. There is one windmill with better souvenirs and you can pay 1.5 euro to go upstairs to see a short movie about the windmill working principle and history.

We visited enroute from Madrid to Cordoba. Parked our car below and took a 15min hike up. The view was spectacular. Love it! No crowd on a Monday morning. Hugely recommend a stopover.

Incredible views and scenery of the famous Don Quixote windmills. We arrived before the busses came with tourists and were able to have the place to ourselves. We hired a taxi from Toledo that the tourist information place recommended and it was a return taxi for 95€. Well worth it. The taxi driver was also kind enough to stop in the small community at the bottom for us to take a few pictures. No regrets at all on this excursion and loved that it didn’t include 60 other people on a tour bus.

We visited the “Molinos de Viento de Consuegra” during our trip in La Mancha (Ruta de Don Quijote) in April 2022. It was not crowded and beautiful weather, which I think are the two most important things when you want to visit this place! The view is amazing and the perfect scenery to take some nice picks! We didn’t visit the castle though, because of lack of time…

Amazing place with a really nice view on the mills. At the evening it is a really romantic place with a very nice view. Also there is just a few people in this time in there. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful places in Spain.

Great spot to visit if driving from Cordoba to Toledo (or vice versa). Free access to the windmill site, drive all the way up to the end and there are parking spots. You can go inside one windmill if you want to see the interior mechanism. Cost 1.50€ per person. Well worth it for the price.

A great place to stop on the drive from Madrid to Córdoba. Besides the Molinos, the Castilla is worth a visit as well. There is a fee to enter 5€ but the include a fantastic birds of prey exhibit that was very educational and they were great people. There was a guide available for English if needed.
10th-century castle on a ridge with windmills, host to guided & theatrical tours & cultural events.
This is a really fantastic place. We took a slight detour on our way to Cordoba and it was well worth it. The windmills and castle are fabulous and the walk up was fun. There's great motorhome parking at the foot of the hill and you can either take the road or climb directly up the hill on the well trodden informal path. Great views and plenty of windmills to see. The town that you travel through on your way up is also interesting and unspoilt by development. Highly recommended.

Worth driving there to have a look at the olden days windmills and the castle, which was closed, but nevertheless a place to take great pictures.
The small road that leads up to the castle might seems like a one way lane but just proceed and the lane will get wider for 2 cars.

Due to covid restrictions you should ideally book online. 7€ per person gets you into the castle and one of the windmills. Can only enter with tour guide, speaks in Spanish very fast so if you are not fluent you will only get snippets, but, there are boards in 3 languages including English.

The visit was fantastic because the castle is a beautiful historical monument and the views from the tower overlooking the windmills was spectacular, but also because our tour guide was excellent! She did a great job. I'm really happy I made the trip.

Wow! What a cool experience (visited 24/5/23). Super friendly tour included in the very cheap 5 euro price. The Army Museum is a fascinating and varied exhibition showcasing historical artifacts such as suits of armor, weapons, paintings, and other exhibits related to the Spanish military. The collection includes items from different cultures around the world beyond Spain such as Oceania and Japan. Visitors can marvel at an impressive assortment of swords. Although admission fees apply on most days, entry to the museum is free on Sundays (as of January 2022).
Interesting and very diverse exibithion. Every kind of old and modern items from all around the world, not just Spain. Oceania, Japan, amd many other cultures are represented. Amazing collection of swords. However it's too late for me, but on Sunday it is free to visit (2022 Jan)

I can't remember exactly why but I came on a day when there was free entry. Overall I enjoyed the museum. I would recommend for anyone that enjoys Spanish and/or military history. It took us about 2 hours to see everything. I have been to most of the Spanish speaking countries so it's great to see where it all started.

A bit disappointed. I had a great memory of this museum. It's been updated a lot, so the building is great, but I find the setup and floorplan very confusing. I fell we haven't seen the most interesting ones. Also many of the objects are reproductions.
Etienne Sturm — Google review
Not that great, the people at the museum’s not friendly at all and it’s more like a maze. Some days are free entry so If you got kids, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to walk around for a while but not that great. Take into account that the Alcazar and the museum are separate places, so one can be opened and the other’s under maintenance

Beautiful train station in Toledo City in Mudejar style Architecture
Hector Gonzalez — Google review
If you travel to Toledo, Spain by high-speed train, you will see this beautiful building, built a hundred years ago, but so lovingly preserved that you could believe it was inaugurated six months ago. Other than that, it is the gateway to one of the most beautiful cities in Spain.
Paulo Márquez Herrero — Google review
The railway reached Toledo in 1858. The original station was of functional design. The present station opened in 1919 or 1920. It was designed to echo the historic architecture of the city. The central section is flanked by two side naves, one of which is adjacent to the clock tower, which imitates the style of Toledo church towers.
The station has been declared a Property of Cultural Interest and classified as a monument. It was restored in the twenty-first century in connection with the inauguration of the Madrid–Toledo high-speed rail line in 2005. The old line along the Tagus valley in the direction of Aranjuez has been dismantled, and Toledo no longer has a conventional line.

Puerta del Sol is a medieval gate in Toledo's old town, dating back to the 14th century. It features an arched entryway and offers picturesque city views from the walking path next to it. The gate is adorned with a medallion depicting the city's patron saint and images of the sun and moon added in the 16th century, giving it its name.
Constructed in Mudejar style, was built to give access to the walled city. Dated to last quarter of the 14 century
Further behind 100m is the Roman Puerta, layers of history abound in this beautiful town

Parque Warner Beach is a waterpark in Madrid that offers a refreshing and fun experience for families and friends. The park has expanded its attractions to include well-known characters from the Warner universe, creating a cinema atmosphere with shows, sets, and character appearances. With 40,000 m2 dedicated to attractions, restaurants, rest areas, and a store, visitors can enjoy an exciting summer day. While it can get crowded in August, visiting during other months may provide a more enjoyable experience.
I was there at the beginning of July, and I had a wonderful experience with my girlfriend. The place was not packed. We had time to go through all attractions and even repeat some. The staff was friendly to us for the most part. Although I saw a lady getting hurt (nothing serious) and the SOS swimmers laught instead of rushing to help. Other than that, everything was very professional. I guess that if you avoid August, you will enjoy it. I heard a local say that it can get crowded in that month.

Likewise the Florida parks.
End of April 2024 there was some work happening in some attractions and rides. There was no map available and that was not a good experience.
Dirty restaurants too.
Wait times are way longer than it was showing, like 50min to the Batman ride took 120min. That repeated to other rides as well.
Lack of responsibility or laziness.
Rogerio Barros — Google review
Where should I start? Maybe with the price: 28€/person. Here is what you get. Overcrowding: at least one hour between rides (even for the most basic swimming pool).
Terrible and frozen junk food, for which you even have to wait at least 30 minutes. This will be your only option, since you are not allowed to bring food in.
Poor covid measures: forced to wear masks on the line but in the children pool everyone was happily breathing without.
Poorly connected, took us an enire hour to reach from the center of Madrid (this is partlialy renfe's fault).
Would definetely not reccomend.
simone riedi — Google review
The park is nice. We were with 4 kids 11 8 5 3, and every child found his preferred attractions. We were at Thursday and the park was crowded. The waiting time for the moderate attractions was minimum 40 min and half of the time under the sun. There are no indicator sign of the waiting time (2023..?!). Bottom line it was a nice day to spend for hot days in Madrid, but can't be compared with other water park in Europe (Rulantica etc).
Ilan Benizri — Google review
Terrible experience. We paid €30 for the tickets and struggled to fit in 3 rides in 8 hours. Most rides require two queues (one to get the floater and another one to slide down), each longer than 1 hour. Do you want to grab some lunch? Be prepared to queue for another hour. The water park is rather small and has very few rides, which explains the waiting times. Perhaps they should consider selling less tickets.
Dasha Skrynnik — Google review
Great place to be however it is insanely expensive to get transport to this place.
Also if you have the money, invest in fast passes, they are expensive but do allow you first entry on almost every ride.
Be ready also to pay extra for the parque beach...its 12€ each and is not included in the standard ticket.
FreeMusicRep — Google review
It's a nice place to spend a full day with children (we were with 4 kids 11,8,5,3) all of them found an attraction to do, but the park was crowded and the waiting time was very long to the main attractions. The staff was not effective, I watched them and told to myself with more effective guide I think they can cut the waiting time by half, for example to provide to staff more oboes in the Batman/Joker slids).
Ilan Beni — Google review
The park was decorated really well for Halloween but as always long queues and few restaurants were open, always a bummer as you can't take your own food into the park!
BENJAMIN STEWART — Google review
It’s the worst aqua park in my life (I’ve visited 6-7 aqua parks). If you want to waste your time please come in because if you want to get on attractions you need to wait in two lines (in the major), first to get equipment and second to use it. All of your time you are under the sun rays and with out hat, because you do not have possibility to left it. Of course it’s not a problem, if you do not need to wait for an hour or more, but here you need to do that.
So:
- Maybe it’s a could place for those who love SM.
- On my mind that the main purpose of this park to get all your money (because you need to buy a flash pass (but it doesn’t help you fully) and drinks, a lot of drinks).
