What an amazing time I had here. My friends and I loved the tour, loved the scenery and learning all the history and we especially loved the sampling. The ultimate experience was buying all the chocolates 🍫 ❤️ we could fit in our carry-ons. The staff is do warm and friendly. This is a must-do when visiting Switzerland.

Visiting this Literal Chocolate Factory was an incredible experience and I definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to this part of the world. It was a very enlightening and memorable tour through time on the history of cocoa. I recommend bringing 3.5mm headphones to plug into the story teller thing. That way you’re not holding it up like a phone the entire time. But besides that everything was incredible and the chocolate was delicious!

Interesting tour of a chocolate factory. It's really more of a show that you walk through. It tells the story of chocolate and of the company. It's a dramatisation with sound effects, sets, and special lighting. It was not crowded the day we went but they are well equipped to handle big crowds. There's a mini factory set up at the end of the show. There's also chocolate tasting at the end. A delicious way to end our tour.
Anisa Lowrey — Google review
We didn't go round the museum, instead we did a chocolate workshop which was amazing. The incredible multilingual chocolatier showed us how to make and decorate delicious bar and shaped chocolate of our choice then it was our turn. My bar and teddy bear efforts weren't as good as his but every bit as delicious! I would heartily recommend this experience to anyone young or old - it's great fun for all ages.

This is a great stop to see in Switzerland! It is like entering the real world Charlie and the Chocolate Factory if it was filmed in the modern era. You go room to room exploring the history of chocolate and the development of the Cailler brand. You sample chocolate and flavors along the way. Absolutely a must see and must try place!
Kat J — Google review
Unfortunately, we were not able to visit the factory because we did not purchase tickets in advance. We found that the queue could take more than two and a half hours.
We sat in the restaurant lounge and had some desserts. It was really delicious. We bought fresh chocolate and the coffee-flavored chocolate tasted amazing.
The outside seating area is very nice and provides space for the kids to play and have fun.
Really great experience. Don’t forget to purchase your tickets before you go 😊

Wonderful place in the town of Gruyere to learn about Cailler Chocolates. They have a 30 min tour filled with amazing (and sometimes horrifying) stories about how chocolate was found in the world and how it became such an integral part of our lives. You also get to taste so much chocolate throughout the tour with the only condition being not to take the samples outside the tour area.
The price of admission was 15 CHF per person but it was absolutely worth it. Must visit, particularly if you have kids, who will enjoy this experience a lot.
You can finally also do some Chocolate shopping at the end of the tour. The best thing about these chocolates is that Cailler doesn't use any palm oil in their chocolates, only cocoa butter, which is so much better for you and the world.

Better than I could have expected!!!
Maison Cailler Chocolat Tour provides an amazing experience for both adults and kids - the tour is magical and well set, there are hearing kits with a variety of languages, you get to point and pick what you’re gonna hear next. Super interesting.
Price about 11€ per adult.
There’s the opportunity to smell and taste the chocolates - it’s lovely.
At the end of the tour there’s a gift shop with awesome products and some “sales” items.
The parking is great and super close to the facilities.
Luisa Balaniuc — Google review
This was awesome! A complete tour explaining the entire history of chocolate (in a fun not so boring way). You also get to see them making it. Virtually unlimited chocolate samples! And the hot chocolate at the cafe was truly incredible!
Mike Roberts — Google review
Parking is free but about 100 meters walk to the entrance. Entrance is $17CHF. You might want to get the Swiss Day Pass if you're going to the Maison Gruyere cheese tour and castle tour, along with using public transit on buses and trains. The tour itself is very informative and interactive. You get to sample the hazelnuts, almonds and cocoa beans. But, don't get too full on the chocolate wrapped candies because there's even more samples at the end, unlimited too! See pictures below. You just have to eat it there and not take any to go. That's why they have their souvenir store to make all your purchases.

I think this is the most enjoyable tour imaginable. It was fun for adults and kids alike. We laughed out loud a good few times! It was great to learn the history of the place. Very generous tasting at the end of the tour and great gift selection. The personalized gift boxes - fantastic idea, we had to stock up. The cafe was excellent, with fast service, with tasty treats.
You could smell the chocolate for hundreds of meters!

Overall a good experience. We were a little sceptical following some reviews here, however we were happy after visiting. You need to buy tickets on a specific time slot. When we were there it was really empty, so no problem. But I think it is worth buying tickets online in advance if you want to visit during peak season. You will get an audio guide (many languages are available) and have first a guided tour which is around 15-20 minutes with some historical information. After this you can go by yourself and explore the rest of the stations. There are several stations where you can taste some chocolate. You can eat as much as you want but it should only be eaten there and not taken home. It's not that big but it's worth a visit. Don't expect to see a lot from production. There is only a production line shown and the rest is not really there. There is a shop which is a little pricey compared to other stores where you get the same products. Big free parking available within a 2-3min walk.

I visited the factory in 2017. I took the chocolate train from Montreaux.
I had the opportunity to see how the manufacturing process of a legitimate Swiss chocolate is and also to taste and buy the products that exist there.
This visit is worth it !

This was a neat walkthrough experience with a good mix of history and factory. There was a ton of free chocolate/nuts on the tour and the tour was offered in numerous languages by individual audio controls. You can see the languages in the attached pictures. I highly recommend if you’re staying in the area or passing through. Kids and adults will enjoy!
Mike Crenshaw — Google review
Great outing for a family! The tour is very accessible and tells the story of the company's history, takes visitors through the factory to watch chocolates be made, and finishing off with a tasting room where visitors can try delicious, fresh chocolates.

A great place to visit and learn about the history of Swiss chocolate. Interesting narration. Some parts are interactive and at the end we could taste all different types of mass produced chocolates. It’s best to book a time beforehand as we had to wait 1 hour before we could enter.

For those who have never been here, this is one place you should try visiting. Unfortunately, radio information is not yet available in Indonesian. Hopefully, in the near future, it will be available soon.
Here, after seeing the history and process, you can try various types of chocolate. The staff is very friendly, there are also toilets and cafes available while waiting for friends and family when they shop for chocolate.

We paid for a tour here, which was not given to us because of a mishap (technically, several mishaps) with the tour company. Do not buy tours through Tours of Switzerland (booked through Get your Guide). Incredibly disappointing.
The place is lovely from the outside and the hot chocolate is delicious though. Hence, 2 stars instead of 1.
Sophie Henning — Google review
Ok this was FUN!!!! I felt like a kid. Chocolate express train picked me up and dropped me off right at factory. I bought tickets at the booth, no line and no wait for the tour. You get a radio according to your language. Then the tour begins!!!
Loved the tour, chocolate process and the SAMPLES! I ate more than I should, but they were yummy.
Bought some chocolate souvenirs on my way out! 🍫
Queen B Jules — Google review
Absolutely outstanding experience! Our tour was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Not only did we enjoy a delightful journey through the history of chocolate making, but we were also treated to delectable samples at the conclusion of the tour. I cannot speak highly enough of this experience - it's a must for any chocolate lover visiting Switzerland!
Booking tickets online is highly recommended due to the limited time slots available. With only 20 people permitted per 20-minute session, securing your spot in advance ensures you won't miss out on this extraordinary opportunity.
This visit truly stands out as one of the most worthwhile experiences in Switzerland. As the oldest chocolate manufacturer in the country still utilizing milk instead of milk powder in their chocolate production, the heritage and quality of the chocolates here are unparalleled. Don't hesitate to make this part of your itinerary - you won't regret it!

I’ve had the chance to visit the museum, but what I loved the most was the experience of making chocolate for about an hour. I would 100% recommended as it is very worth it for just 25 Swiss Francs

Visited cailler chocolate factory during my visit to Switzerland. They have a walk through presentation on how chocolate is evolved & manufactured from the time. It's very good to go through their process. Had tasted all their chocolates samples after that. Chocolates are really good. Bought different chocolates at their factory outlet after the visit at good price. Liked the visit. Kids enjoy a lot .

The experience was really nice and unforgettable , the tour includes a joyful brief of the history of chocolate.
The chocolate tasting is just amazing but in matter of comparison , I would definitely recommend Lindt factory.
Lindt quality and varieties are way better than Cailler.
Lindt factory is more far in matter of distance from Genèva, but it definitely worth the visit and highly recommended over Cailler

Good experience with the automated chocolate journey they have created. One tip from my side is to go easy on chocolate tasting

Excellent experience! Tour was great. You get to try samples at the end. Couldn’t recommend enough.
Mind you, the chocolate itself is 5 star. Wish it was sold directly in Australia!

Bern Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is renowned for its arcaded walkways, fountains, and Switzerland's tallest cathedral. The capital of Switzerland has a very atmospheric and cultural atmosphere. I want to feel the local tranquil atmosphere here. The ancient city is also very amazing. 👍It doesn’t feel like the capital. Walking here and enjoying the shopping experience It’s a good time in the morning. 👍The nearby scenery is also very impressive. There are also many scenic spots that you can go for a walk. It’s a very distinctive capital. It’s a pity that it was cloudy when I went to Bern that day, but I think I’ll save it for the next time I go to Bern. Come and enjoy this beautiful ancient city again if you have the opportunity!👍👍

Overall the city was beautiful. I went on a Monday and many shops are closed that day. The good news was, my guess, fewer people the bad news is there were some great shops that had displays that could not purchase. My guess is 50% of the shops or greater was closed. I truly enjoyed the shops that were open!

The Bern's Old Town is the No.1 Must See Place when you go to Bern. I admit that I had doubts before I came here but then, I fully understood why this old town had become a world's heritage! Its calmness, medieval buildings, streets, fountains, & the beautiful & elegant clock towers, have made this Old Town be possibly the most pretty Historic Town in Switzerland!
Tips: It's easy to get here from the Bern's Station too, just look up & follow one of the clock towers.
(Please note that the picture showed as the caption in Google's UNESCO Von Bern is actually the Zetgloge Clock Tower, which is an ancient landmark from the 13th century.)

Bern being the capital of Switzerland is an ancient city. Has many historical buildings and scenic lookouts. You have to stay within the city limits to enjoy the sites as they are accessible via light rail. Book a hotel near to the city centre and use the light rail and buses to get around. First time visitors get a free pass within the 2 city zones. Rent a car and travel to Zurich and Geneva to enjoy the alps and historic towns. Busy during the summer. The cost of food etc are very expensive here specially being the capital. Good only if you’re into scenery and historical buildings.

Bern's Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the historic center of the capital city of Switzerland. It is renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture, charming cobblestone streets, and numerous historical landmarks.
It is situated on a peninsula formed by a bend in the Aare River. The layout of the town has remained largely unchanged since the medieval period. The Old Town is known for its covered arcades (Lauben) which extend for miles and make Bern one of the longest covered shopping promenades in Europe.
A walking tour is the best way to explore Bern's Old Town. You can take a guided tour to learn about the history and significance of various landmarks, or explore at your own pace. Be sure to visit the Zytglogge (Clock Tower), one of Bern's most famous landmarks, to watch the clock's elaborate mechanisms and figures in action as the hour changes. Don't miss the area's selection of chocolate shops. Explore the Swiss Federal Palace, home to the Swiss government, and take a guided tour to learn about the country's political system and history. Visit the Bear Park near the Old Town to see Bern's emblematic animals. Finally, take a stroll along the Aare River for beautiful views of the city and surrounding hills.
Bern's Münster Cathedral is an iconic landmark with an impressive façade and beautiful stained glass windows. Climb the tower for panoramic views of the city. The Einstein Museum, located in the building where Albert Einstein lived while in Bern, offers insight into the famous physicist's life and work. Kramgasse is one of the main streets in the Old Town, lined with shops, cafes, and historic buildings. It leads to the Zytglogge and provides a lively atmosphere. The Old Town is also dotted with colorful and ornate fountains from the Renaissance period, each with its own unique design and history. The Rosengarten (Rose Garden) offers beautiful views of the Old Town and is a great spot to relax and take photos.
The Old Town is best explored on foot, but there are also trams and buses available for easy transport.

The city of Bern is great to visit (as for most Swiss cities I would avoid going there on a Sunday as most shops are closed and some restaurants too). Bern has a beautiful old city center which is easy to get to from one of the many parking places around the center or (of course) by train. Really nice view from the Rosengarten and while you are there it’s nice to walk downstairs to the bridge to have a look at the bears at ‚Bärengraben‘. Beautiful City!
Please leave a thumbs up/like if you think this review was useful.

A lovely little old town that we stopped by for just a day on our travels. We didnt get a chance to do anything but in about 4 hours we felt like we had seen everything that bern has to offer.
Its worth it to atleast once walk up towards the rose garden to the east as you can then really see over all of bern. There are pretty streets, sculputers and building all over. Apparently the fountain water is also drinkable.

Schilthorn, a tall mountain in Switzerland, can be reached by either cable car or hiking. The cable car station is conveniently located near the landing spot for paragliding, and Swiss Travel Pass holders can ride the cable car for free upon presentation of their tickets. At the summit of Schilthorn stands a revolving restaurant that was featured in a James Bond movie. This must-visit destination offers spectacular views and dining experiences amidst stunning natural surroundings.
One of the best, less crowded mountains in Suisse. The views are amazing and also has a good piece of Bond history. Take public transport to reach here. The place is surrounded by amazingly breathtaking views as far as the eyes can see. Stand there and soak in the amazing views. Lovely experience and cannot be forgotten. Do have some snacks and hot coffee as well.

The view was great, I could just sit for hours and watch the scenery
Even tho it didn't snow when I was visiting it was still really cold.
The 007 museum was fairly small but still interesting if you enjoyed the movie and are a big fan. For me the main point was yhe outside.
The 360 restaurant was very enjoyable and not to packed. We got a table on the moving platform and experience the entire view, a quarter was clouds but the rest was breathtaking.
I didn't eat but enjoyed the coffee and hot chocolate with friends and it was great.
A place I would visit again for the view but not the museum

Check the webcams before going up to make sure its not drowned in clouds. If its clear, the cost of the pricey ticket is worth it as the views both on the way up and from the top are stunning. Really on top of the world if you go outside. There's also a walkway around the cliffs which includes a glass section of wire tunnel for thrill seekers.

Journey starts from Stechelberg to Murren then up to Birg, finally last ascend to Schilthorn.
Take time and enjoy the view in each stop before reaching the Schilthorn.
I went for a short walk in Murren, spent some time in a cafe having a cup of hot chocolate and Rhubarb pie, enjoying mountain views while eating. Once filled up my stomach head up to next station Birg, weather was cold, windy and misty in Birg but we able to see surrounding mountains. The thrill walk and skyline walk was closed during our trip. The final station was Schilthorn. The cable car ascending to Schilthorn was truly awesome. The 360 degree mountain views from Schilthorn really amazing. Bring layers and hand gloves as the weather up there can go below freezing level.
Spy world and cinema is free of charge.

Views, views and more views! A great attraction in the Swiss Alps that’s paired with the Birg Thrill Walk along the way. Extremely cold up there so be prepared to bring a jacket (thickness depending on time of year). I wore a lighter down winter jacket that was adequate for the climate but still got quite cold. Views of the big 3 mountains are a solid 10/10 and you also get a great view of Lake Thun. The journey up is the same route taken by those skiing/snowboarding, so be prepared to get stuffed into a cable car like a can of sardines on your way up. The descent down provides a more spacious ride devoid of the winter sports enthusiasts. Also included at Schilthorn is a fun 360 degree revolving restaurant and general rest area for a nice break to take in the views and use the washroom. Prices are a bit brazen as they were charging about 9 francs for a cup of instant noodles so I recommend bringing your own picnic snacks/lunch. Another fun attraction is the James Bond exhibit as this is the location for one of its older movie shoots, “Her Majesty…”. The exhibit includes a cool helicopter and bobsled exhibit that’s open for use by the public. A cherry on top for those James Bonds fanatics out there. Met a local couple from the town of Thun playing hooky from work while there kids were in school on this weekday morning. A kind and warm couple who proceeded to shred the slopes after hopping over the fence barricade we assumed was not accessible. The Swiss are definitely built different!

We drove and park the car at Stechelberg station, we have to ride/transfer 4 cable cars to go top of Schilthorn.
We experienced from warm and sunny to cold and snow on the way, full filled with snow and glacier on the mountain. Also can over see another 3 famous mountains from Schilthorn.
James Bond 007 also film in here before.
Pay attention if there is altitude sickness happened when you are on the top of summit, just slow down and take a rest. Because it happened to me.
Diana Hsieh — Google review
A cable car leaves from the top every 30 minutes and you need to stop at 3 different stations to get to the top and every stop has its speciality or attraction that you can visit and take pictures around. There is a restaurant at the top and Bond world. The tickets are a bit expensive for this but it is worth it and there is a 50% discount for switzerland bus pass holders but do read about it on their website as this might change.

At the summit, visitors can enjoy stunning vistas of the surrounding mountains, including the iconic Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks. Schilthorn is also famous for being the filming location of the James Bond movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

The price of your ticket was worth it on a clear September morning. Check for a discount if you are the first to ride in the morning. It is cold on top. The 007 area was lame and fun at the same time. Use poles if you plan a descending hike.
Sharise Anderson — Google review
The place where 007 movie was filmed. Took train from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen, change to bus 141 to the cable car station. And then took 4 cable car rides to reach the top. 50% discount for Swiss pass holders. Can see Jungfraujoch from here. Nice views, some easy walk on top. Worth a visit if you’ve got extra time in Interlaken.

I had the most breathtaking experience at Schilthorn and the Piz Gloria Restaurant! The journey to the summit is an adventure in itself, with stunning cable car rides and panoramic views that will leave you speechless.
The revolving Piz Gloria restaurant is a highlight, allowing you to dine while taking in the ever-changing scenery. The James Bond connection (featured in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service") adds a fun element to the visit.
Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a movie buff, or simply seeking unparalleled alpine vistas, Schilthorn delivers on all fronts. Don't miss this gem when in Switzerland! The revolving restaurant offers different views throughout your meal, so every moment is Instagram-worthy.
Schilthorn and Piz Gloria Restaurant are a must-visit for anyone exploring the Swiss Alps. It's a memory I'll cherish forever, and I can't recommend it enough. Even though it's one of the expensive cable cars of Switzerland, I would recommend not to miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime experience! 🏔️🍽️ #Schilthorn #PizGloria #SwissAlps #BreathtakingViews

Beautiful scenery as far as you can imagine. 2970 meter above sea level, temperature was about 10°C. Dogs can come along without a carrying bag. Prices are 216 CHF for 2 persons, but it's worth every penny!

A very expensive cable car trip from the valley, but absolutely worth it. The views of the mountain peaks are spectacular. I only briefly visited the James Bond museum, since I don’t remember the Lazenby movie very well. Didn’t eat at the restaurant either, but it looked okay and the prices weren’t outrageous.
The Musée National de l'Automobile - Collection Schlumpf is the largest automobile collection in the world, located in Mulhouse. This grand museum showcases over 450 classic European cars, including 120 Bugattis, all tracing the history of automobiles back to their early days. The exhibition features 400 vintage, prestigious, and racing cars that will fascinate car enthusiasts as well as those with a general interest in automotive history.
Really impressive collection of cars from the beginning of the car history. If you are a fan of old cars especially Bugatti then this Museum is a must visit. They also have a small track where you can drive some classics for a fee.

Fantastic place! Watching it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. In a huge hall, hundreds of cars in beautiful condition. From the beginning of driving, you can find a lot of models here, looking at some of them, a frame from a movie comes to mind. We'll come back again, because it's a full-day program if someone wants to watch it more thoroughly.

Absolutely amazing visit! The displays are superb, and I can highly recommend spending a lot time here. Sadly I was under time pressure, so rushed through parts. But will be back.

From classic cars to iconic models, the museum offers a fascinating journey through automotive history. The interactive exhibits and informative displays provide insight into the evolution of automobiles. The museum's layout is well-designed, making it easy to navigate and enjoy at your own pace. Overall, a fantastic experience for anyone with an interest in cars! Highly recommended

A car collection like none other. It's a step back in time - and yet has one of the greatest new cars ever made on display. The classic/supercar driving at the end is a brilliant addition, too!

Despite not being a car enthusiast in any way, I absolutely loved this museum. There are vehicles spanning from carriages to formula 1, as well as lots of Bugattis. I would have liked to read more info about the vehicles, they only have a sort description. And more information about the founders of the collection would have been useful. I read up about them after my visit but their story could have been presented better in the museum. You can easily spend hours going round here.

This is an impressive collection of cars. There are a few fun hands-on activities as well plus a roll over simulator. There is a collection of children's pedal cars as well, which my children enjoyed. I am not a car fan by any means, but I enjoyed the museum.

Jaw dropping. The sheer number and range of vehicles is amazing. Quite a privilege to see the early models, and with good descriptions. But also the other categories, through the decades, as well as top end models and racing cars.

I don't visit museums that often, but this one is worthy of all the admiration. Great exposition, excellent descriptions for each car and really collected a huge number of exhibits
I will say right away - that allocate 2,5-3 hours to visit.
I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of a restaurant on the territory and a cool event after the end (the event is held on the territory of the museum every Sunday).

With one word - it is an extraordinary museum! If you are a car enthusiastic, or someone who is into mechanical designs and engines, you should definitely see this place.
The open gallery is very well prepared for a great exhibition according to years with brief, but attention taking descriptions and stories. The collection is one of a kind with very unique and rare cars.
And the idea of "Car lost in the Nature" is truly beautiful. We paid €18.00 for an adult ticket without waiting in the line on a Friday afternoon.

The Musée National de l'Automobile in Mulhouse is well worth a visit for every car enthusiast. So many beautiful examples of automobiles from the very beginning of car manufacturing until the late 1970ies. Maybe the biggest collection of Bugatti in the world. Amazing! We were lucky and there were not too many people there so it was perfect to take pictures. I would like to go again. Or go to an event where the old racecards are really driven. Extraordinary!

Very nice exhibition. They have hundreds of car maybe more but you can't sit or touch. For children there is a car race for their fun in the middle. For extra you can drive a each car for additional charge. Overall nice place to visit.

Huge museum but seems stuck in time pre 1980. Some important early cars in here especially Bugatti and others and interestingly includes a modern day Veyron. Vast majority of the collection is very old and either early cars or from 1930s, 40s and 50s when obviously the collection was being assembled. Some really interesting cars too from micro to pedal cars, clangers like the Aston Martin Lagonda, Ferrari 512 and some fun hands-on things for kids. Very cold inside the day we visited and could have been heated. Parking outside is 2euro an hour.

I’ve been to lots of automotive museums around Europe but this one has been my favourite up to now, if you like cars the history and development of you’ll have a good day here. I particularly liked the easy layout of the museum which means you won’t miss a thing

Absolutely stunning collection of mainly Pre War Classics with an outstanding number of Bugatti Cars, but also some other classics can be seen. The space is arranged very well with no unnecessary stuff , we enjoyed the walk through the building.
The only downside is the missing ability to get something to eat in the afternoon, a small bistro menu with fries, Cake, Crepe or Baguette would be a great addition.
Jochen Sch — Google review
The collection is downright fantastic. It's incredible to see that many old cars, all the way to the 1890s, all in perfect operating condition. Fun activities as well (packing a boot to the brim, manually starting an old car...).
Beware of the cold, however, if you visit in winter. The exhibition hall has no heating at all anymore (due to electricity prices). I visited on a freezing day and while it was above zero indoors it wasn't a lot higher!
The bar also isn't particularly remarkable and has a tendency to close early (4:30 is too late already).
All in all, pick a sunny day, go early enough, and you'll have a blast!

My visit to the Mulhouse Automobile Museum was an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped in, the friendly staff members Charlotte and Lauris made us feel welcome. The museum itself is a treasure trove, boasting hundreds of classic vehicles and racing cars. Each exhibit is a masterpiece, but the Bugattis stole the show, giving me goosebumps! Spending the morning with Olly, reminiscing about his childhood and cars, was a highlight. I highly recommend a visit, but don't forget to wear warm clothes, as it can get chilly in March. Be prepared to do a lot of walking, as the place is huge. Overall, a fantastic experience that I'll cherish forever!

Not much of a car enthusiast, but this museum is spectacular. You don’t have to be knowledgeable or even all that interested in cars to thoroughly enjoy yourself here. The way that the history and progression of automobiles are displayed is quite captivating and we ended up spending 2-3 hours here.

I forgot to make a mention for the guy at the bar counter inside the museum. I never saw a guy so crazy like him. You can talk to him and he still doing his job, don't answer to you, give you his shoulders and don't care what you ask to him. I asked for a plastic bottle of water, I showed him a translation in French and he stills no answers and doing his own!!! Very very very rude!! I think it will be good to change your staff
Basel Minster is a famous Protestant Gothic style church with twin spires and a tiled roof built in the 9th century. It is located on Munsterhugel, the highest point in Basel, and is easily spotted by its prominent spires and brightly patterned roof tiles.
One of the most iconic landmark in Basel that you have to see. If you are brave enough to climb to the top of the tower, you will be rewarded by the breathtaking view of the city across the Rhine. And if you look further, you can even see across the French and German country border. Even if you don't have the strength to climb atop of it's tower, the cathedral has an ornate interior as well as a monastery with courtyard right next to the cathedral.

One of the most beautiful churches i have ever seen. Loved the painted glass and the columns, the ceiling and arches. The entrance is free but if you want to go up to the tower you have to pay 6 CHF. And you will want to go to one of the towers, because the view to the river and the city is breathtaking. I never miss this part anywhere, and now i wasn't dissapointed. You will not regret it.

Hey, the tower is an absolute must-visit! The views are absolutely jaw-dropping, giving you the perfect overview of the city. Plus, the ticket prices are a steal compared to other towers in Europe. But hey, here's a tip: don't tackle the climb solo. Some parts of the tower can get pretty spooky with darkness, and those stairs? They're high and narrow, like something out of a medieval adventure! So grab a buddy you trust and make a day of it. Exploring the tower will easily fill up an hour of your time, but remember, it shuts down at 4 pm sharp. So get there early to soak in all the views and enjoy the breeze!

I recommend taking a guided walking tour of Basel like us which covered almost all the attractions including the cathedral with interesting history of the city.

Basel Monastery is located in Basel, Switzerland and is one of the city's major tourist attractions. The monastery is on the Swiss national heritage list. The monastery, which was originally built for the Catholic Church, was transferred to the Protestant Church after the Reformation. The building, which was influenced by Romanex architecture and Gothic architecture between 1019 and 1500, was destroyed in the 1356 Basel Earthquake and was rebuilt by Johannes Gmünd, the architect of the Freiburg Monastery, and completed by Ulrich Ensingen in 1421. The south tower was completed by Hans von Nußdorf in 1500.
When you go to Basel, you should definitely see this place and the Palatinate (Palatinate) Viewing Platform next to it.

The visibility can be tricky due to the clouds so I would advise go a little bit later during the day. The cart all the way up (return) was around 70 e per person.
There is a parking near by that cost us 5 euro for 5 hours.
There are restaurants all the way up. We took fries, coke and pretzel for total of 17e
The hill itself has few small hikes around the peak which is great.
It is possible to hike all the way up or down from the peak.

Wonderful place with a fantastic scenery. A lot of short (but steep) trails and beautiful climb up by the cable car. Take the time to visit the area half way up. It provides a different and nice angle.

The fun thing is that we can get down at any of the stops and hike up or down as per our choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the clouds above, it felt like we were in heaven 😂, everything was blanket white. We hiked down a few kilometres till the last gondola stop. It was one of the best trips we’ve had in Switzerland. There are different routes to do it, we chose to go with the boat from Luzern, then the funicular up the mountain and then the gondola and cable car down to Kriens and the bus back to Luzern - it was absolutely brilliant. Took a total of 5 - 5.5 hours from the moment we got on the boat. It is recommended to reserve a time slot for the cogwheel train otherwise you would need to wait more.

and Swiss watches shops and restaurants.
Don't forget to wear comfy clothes and shoes, otherwise it will be difficult to hike.
The Freiburg Cathedral is a beautiful, iconic Gothic cathedral located in the heart of Freiburg, Germany. Freiburg Cathedral, since 1200s. Some interesting facts about this masterpiece. It’s actual foundation is based on a church started in 1120s, in line with that in 2020, Freiburg celebrated in 900 years Anniversary. Only Gothic church in Germany dating back to Middle Ages, which survived wars and still smiling.
Out of 16 bells, the oldest dating back to 1258, oldest Angelus bell in Germany. It took 300+ years to realize this dream. The church is surrounded with market on weekdays, called as Münster market which brings local produce for sale. This tradition has been here since Freiburg wrote its name in history. So, a visit to the market is a different vibe. Can you go the church tower. Of course. 300+ steps will take you to the top of church tower base, where you can enjoy panoramic view of Blackforest and the city. Best time is Autumn during sunset. Check closing time before the visit. The church tower Entrance ( Münsterturm) is outside the church on left side.
Wish you beautiful day.

A spectacular cathedral, right in downtown and surrounded by some beautiful old buildings. The entrance is free, and the environment inside is darkish and quiet. The glass windows are beautiful, and the shafts of light coming in are amazing. The ceiling has lovely textures, so do look up. It is nice to take a moment to sit and take in the calm. It is also lovely to walk around on the outside and notice the stone carvings.
The Chapel Bridge in Lucerne is a wooden bridge that spans the Reuss River. It is one of the oldest covered bridges in Europe, and it is named after nearby St. Peter's Chapel. The octagonal water tower, built in the early 14th century, is the city's most photographed landmark.
Beautiful place for sightseeing. The old wooden bridge has a sad history but pretty to look at. One can easily roam the entire city and admire the old Town architecture.

Chapel bridge is one of the most beautiful bridges I've seen. It is spectacular to catch a sunset from the bridge or while looking at the bridge. The flowers are real! There are vivid old wood paintings along the inside of the bridge. I highly recommend visiting.

Luzern is a beautiful city, a combination of modern and old ways of building so this bridge fits perfectly into the environment. The story of him is also very interesting. It's worth a visit.

The oldest bridge in Europe. You can read the historical facts online or follow one of the many walking tours available to grasp its significance.
This bridge provides a different architecture scene compared to its surrounding. Yet it does not seem out of place. Rather, it elevates the scenery as one of the most picturesque in Luzerne.
There are tons of alfresco dining available around the area which allows you to enjoy the scenery while eating and drinking.
Because of its popularity with tours and tourists, this bridge can be very crowded and will be difficult to navigate.

It's gorgeous and it's for free. What's not to like? It's worth noting there are stairs involved so there are some potential accessibility issues if you are not so mobile or have a stroller with you (like we did). Wasn't too busy when we visited (end of winter) but I can see this bridge getting packed with tourists during more popular times.

We visited world's oldest truss bridge today and happily ticked one item off our bucket list. This bridge restored after a fire in the 90s still has some of the original paintings left in it. It's at the centre of town connecting the two banks and looks wonderful with the water tower beside it.

Iconic landmark of Lucerne. Aside from the incredible lake, it's a must-see, or you have never been to this city. But it's busy, crazy busy, and you need to be patient to get that shot. I wished we had more time to see more sights of this lovely city, maybe another day.

An old wooden bridge which has a historical importance in Switzerland, once it was destroyed and then reconstructed, the bridge is kept clean and the water flowing under is crystal clear, the bridge is decorated with flowers, an important tourist destination almost all tour operators prefer.

Best place to take photos and it’s better to go during evening or night time and it’s walkable distance from Lucerne main station. The scene is best as bridge beautifully ornamented with real trees. There are churches near to this bridge which you might visit.

Close to city center. Simply walk on the bridge and appreciate the views. Also some information given inside the bridge. The entry is free. On the other side there are some restaurants and bars and cafes. They are quite good

A popular destination for tourists, Lake Lucerne is the fourth-largest lake in Switzerland and offers boat trips with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The well-preserved old town situated right on the lake adds to its allure, making it a must-visit place for alpine scenery enthusiasts. To fully explore this compact city, it's recommended to spend a whole day on foot. The train station located in the city center provides easy access to all parts of Lucerne via public transport.
Passed by around this lake to prepare Boat to Mountain Pilatus, everything was good, but unfortunately the cable car isnot working that day

This lake and this area in general, is very scenic and relaxing. The water was placid and tranquil as well. It offers nice views of the surrounding city of Luzern and it's mountains. I recommend taking a boat tour of the lake. It is an hour long with one stop round trip. Definitely worth seeing and pretty hard to avoid if you visit Luzern.

It is stunning, with a backdrop of mountains and punctuated by little towns, villages and settlements along the coastline. The water is pristine and often changes colour.
Better still, if you're heading to the Gotthard Panorama Express, catch the paddle steamer all the way to Fluelen, a trip of about 2.75 hours and the scenery just gets better and better (have your camera ready). If that is what you are doing, then you can book your luggage through to the train at the departure point in Luzern, so you don't have to worry about carrying it on board.
Narender Kumar — Google review
Best place to be visited during all season. Super combination of mountains along with lakes and also boat rides makes it complete package.
Debjit Ghosh — Google review
Sailed from Lucerne to Flüelen on the Uri, Europe's oldest paddle steamer. The 100 year old boat is in the best possible conditions and offers all amenities with a flair of the grand old times. The panoramic boat ride lasts around 2:45 h, in early October there was a fresh breeze so bring warm cloth if you plan to stay outside. The upper deck is beautifully sunny, but other areas more wind protected. The morning fog soon lifted and views opened, so don't be deterred if the morning looks gloomy. The restaurant serves food and drink, but nobody minds if you bring your own either. Indoors there are information panels and one can watch the steam engine in full action. It looks as shiny and new as it started operations yesterday, not 100 years ago.

Lake Lucerne is surrounded by beautiful mountains, picturesque villages and the Old town which makes the cruise through the lake an enjoyable experience.
We took the boat from Luzern Bahnhofquai to Kehrsiten - Burgenstock and back which took around an hour.
The trip was very relaxing. You can immerse yourself in the calmness of lake Lucerne and enjoy the sights of the floating swans, the majestic snow covered mountains, the green meadows with village houses popping up and the regal structures of the Old town.

We took the train from Zurich to Lucerne. It was a beautiful summer day, and I was wearing my favorite cotton high-top shoes. From Lucerne, we boarded a boat that crossed the lake toward Alpnachstad station. From there, we would take the train up the mountain to the top. Lake Lucerne shimmered in the bright sunlight as we sliced through the crystalline waves. While I twisted in my seat to get a better look at the landscape, I shifted my feet, turning them left, then right. My ankles were sore, but I couldn’t figure out why.

The Cathedral of Strasbourg is a beautiful, gothic edifice built in 1187 to 1439 with a 16th-century astronomical clock and rose window. It is considered the world's tallest building from 1647 to 1874 and still the sixth tallest church today. The walls of the cathedral keep a 1000-year history of luck and disappointment, victorious victories and unforgivable defeats.
What a wonderful cathedral!! The clock inside is really neat. I loved the nativity scenes and I'm so glad they were still up when we went in January. We climbed up the tower, which was a highlight of our entire vacation!

This is a must see location if you are within 100 miles. Strasbourg the old city is just incredible for old buildings and interesting sites. The Cathedral is very impressive from the outside and the inside is just Great. The altar and the backdrop are very well done. The stained glass is amazing as well. I walked to the top of the Cathedral and highly recommend doing this if you can. Great views and interesting views of the Cathedral as you climb.

Exceptional views, beautiful architecture, in my eyes it is a must to visit during your stay in Strasbourg. Ticket is absolutely worth it, considering the effort to climb the way up. Inside the cathedral entry is free. The size, area, mosaics made me deeply think how much time and effort it took to create and build this miracle. Miraculous❤️..

Came over from offenburg Germany. It was a short drive. It was on a French holiday so I think it was extra busy. The cathedral was very pretty. You could walk around on your own. There was no English translations quite. If you get an app on your phone you can just shine it on the signs and it'll read it in English for you. It was a recording picking on every now and then to ask us to shush. Although I don't think we were being loud, the crowd was in the church at that time.

I was surprised to discover that this is also a beautiful cathedral. It is not that far from the one in Paris. The line to get in (on the left of the front side) is for free but can get very long. The line for going up to the tower (on the right side) has a cost. Definitely recommended!

Very impressive cathedral. It is breathtaking to look up and realize how small we are. It is a very historical cathedral and 142 m high. It is for free to go up the stairs. The view has to be amazing. Unfortunately the queue on weekends especially sundays is too long. But the city has a very nice atmosphere. I liked and enjoyed it a lot.

The cathedral is breathtaking from every angle, with stained glass, spires, and intricate designs living every inch of the building. You won’t find yourself bored when visiting here. I waited for maybe a minute to get inside and did not have to pay. Niece inside you are free to walk around within the designated areas. If you are feeling in the mood, you can buy and light a candle in the cathedral. There is also two gift shops!

Absolutely beautiful but at the same time has to make you question the money and power of the church. It is a beautiful sight but the people could benefit in so many more ways than the enormous expense building.

A wonderful cathedral, truly a work of art in every way. Entrance is free into the church, but a ticket of 8.5 euro to take the stairs up - which you must do, the views are spectacular {approx 300 steps up and 300 down, on a spiral staircase}. The clock at the back is a marvel to behold, from the 16th century. The church area is peaceful, take some time to sit and reflect no matter your religion.

Wasn’t a huge fan of Strasbourg overall, but the cathedral is absolutely worthy of the trip; it is imposingly beautiful inside and out. You can see the cathedral from just about anywhere in the city and it’s still difficult to fathom the size of it once you’re upon it. It was stunning.

Beautiful Historic Monument. Probably one of the most beautiful religious cathedral from France.

The astronomical clock is impressive and has so many resources and surprises.

The most conspicuous building in Strasbourg. It’s full of beauty and historical charm. There are lots things to see - external decorations, climbing to the top to have a great view of the city, internal decorations and carpets. Finally there is the Astronomical clock inside. The history of the cathedral reflects the history of the city which is breathtaking. In front of the church you can find lots of Noel markets in the holiday season in winter.

It's a beautiful 😍 place to visit in Germany amongst many others. There is a pictorial lake in the heart of this historical town. The town is a beautiful one and renowned for cuckoo clock ⏰️
There are plenty of things to do here with family, especially if you love outdoors and nature.
There is an Indian restaurant within the heart ❤️ of the town, which also serves delicious food.
Every side you see, it's stunning 😍
The only issue here is toilet facilities.
One of Germany's highest waterfalls, accessed by hiking trail, plus shop & café at the bottom.

I highly recommend going now during the fall when the leaves are changing colors. It is absolutely stunning. I have been here a couple of times and really enjoy this beautiful town in black forest. The waterfall itself is the main attraction in the town. It's definitely worth the visit once but, the charm of the town is something else. A bus goes from Triberg station to the market area from where, you need to walk around 200 meters to reach the entrance. Check the DB app for transport information as Google maps doesn't show the bus information (at least this was the case for me, every time I visited).

This place is good to spend your evening with or without family. Its not that tough hike. There are two ways if you wish to complete the hike, one is simple way they have made who is not in mood to go breathless and other one is steep where you can shred some fats. But both the ways are not tough at all. It is worth to see this waterfall not only in summer but in winter. Since we were students we got the ticket in 7.5 € per person otherwise it is 8€ for adult. There are benches at all the level and bridge where you can stop by and relax and enjoy the view. Inside there are no counters to buy food but you can bring ur drink n food if you wish. Outside of waterfall you have lot many restaurants where you can enjoy. Its kinda tourist place so you will find international people as well. Overall it's good place to visit once at least to chill and relax.

Pretty outstanding. Very accessible on paved walking paths, is it a little pricey at 7 Euros per person for access to a short hike up the trail, yes, but you are here for the experience not the low cost.

A lovely place to go in summer as the water spray is cooling. At first the climb is relatively steep, but after that it winds gently through the woods. There are apparently red squirrels although I saw none, and I paddled in the higher pools in the ice cold water, which is also very welcome in the summer heat. Triberg itself is pretty, scenic and worth seeing.
Philippa L — Google review
Great day out. Entry fee of €6 I think, cash only, ATM on site but it charges €3. Need to wear hard hats, plenty of antibac wipes if needed. Route is well designed, you don't need the strongest of calf muscles but there are a lot of steps. There is a round route walk you can take once at the top of the waterfall route taking you through a forest (a long steep incline), then open countryside to a chapel, and finally down a woodland path. Route takes about 3 and half hours at a steady pace (I'm not a fast walker). The chapel has fresh running water to drink outside.

Due to winter season we were only able to do partial way that coated about 6/7 euro each.. we went in like 10min hiking for someone short,, for tall and those who hike that was about 5-7min walk.. still the waterfall was really nice and was not disappointed.. definitely would be more worth it in the summer..

Beautiful waterfall with a well laid out series of paths to walk the height of the falls, taking in various views of the fast flowing water. Fairly tame red squirrel in abundance alongside other fauna.
Beware whilst these are good quality pavement-like paths they are, by necessity, very, very steep in parts!

Gorgeous place. The green moss surrounding the waterfall makes me think at prehistoric times. I expect dinosaurs to pop out from behind the trees. The waterfall is not busy at all in winter but you might not be able to go all the way up due to ice and snow. The entrance is only 6 euro and it includes the Black Forest museum and the Triberg Fantasy.

I am so glad we went. If you park at the parking garage in town, the waterfalls are only a short walk up the hill. There is an entrance fee (about 8€ for grown ups) but it also includes the entrance fee to the Black Forest Museum and entrance to Triberg Fantasy. Make sure to hang on to the receipt!
There are two ways to see the falls. One easy way and one strenuous. We are both middle-aged, out of shape people, and we did the strenuous walk, no problem. There is so much to see that you will catch enough breaks. There are also different levels you can walk. Several bridges crossing the falls, giving you the chance to end your walk and walk back to the entrance. It is beautiful, and the shade is great in the summer heat.

Awesome place for a day out (or in). Very well curated technical museum with tons of machinery to see and best of all interact with. The biggest machines are also accessible and you can climb inside and have a look: airplanes, a space shuttle, boat, submarine, trains. It's an endless list and definitely worth a full day visit. Great for kids too as they're allowed to touch and even have a giant slide from a top a Lufthansa airplane. Absolutely recommended!

For me personally, the highlight was the robot at the gift shop that picks and delivers you the stuff you choose to buy.
We also enjoyed the simulation vehicle at the entrance of the museum.
There are washrooms in both the sections, that's a big plus being with kids.
The cafeteria inside the premises is also very good. Pizza, coffee etc. are delicious and not too pricey.
Must visit 👍

Wow! What a great museum. My son loved checking out the planes, trains, boats and more! This place is huge and well organized. Employees are friendly. Most signage was bilingual (German/English) which was helpful. We also had lunch in the restaurant and found the food to be decent. The only downside is the cost. I found the entry fee to be a bit steep. Could be an expensive day trip.

Fabulous museum. Scary trip up to 747 perched up in the air on top of a building. A bit too high up for me so I went to Viscount plane instead. Still weird to be walking through a plane perched at an angle. Rest of museum very impressive. Unfortunately I couldn't appreciate it fully as was only in Speyer for a couple of hours - needs a full day to get round all the exhibits..

An amazing day out, so much to look at and it was fascinating. You could go inside loads of planes, including the 747 where you could even walk out onto the wing. Planes, helicopters, trains, submarines, cars, fire engines, motorbikes. Could spend days there. Highly recommended, and we chose to visit it over the other nearby Technik museum as this one is more focused on aviation.

I also visited their sister museum in Sinsheim. Speyer had a great space exhibit and really good aircraft, submarines etch. You name it, it's probably here. I'll definitely visit again.

Not as good as in Sinsheim, but still perfect and worth visit. Unfortunately.... some exhibits were closed for no apparent reason. Some of them were closed only in the morning, not after lunch 🤔. It looks more like a mistake than a covid regulation. Pity..it would otherwise be 5 stars.

Loved visiting this museum! The vehicle displays are incredible, there is a vast amount of history here. It’s a great museum for anyone interested in transportation of all kinds, especially kids. ***TIP: Be sure to bring some change to make some of the displays work.
One of the interactive displays involves climbing up a bunch of stairs in order to slide down a long slide….it’s a bunch of fun!

Amazing museum, they have everything.
Entrance tickets costs 21 euro and parking is 5 euro.
But it's totally worth the price because this place is big and has a lot to offer. Definitely go there if you can!

Travel back in time and enjoy the details of every little piece of art.
The museum is a piece of heaven for enthusiasts and soon-to-be enthusiast. Great variety of different exhibits. It takes on around 3-4 hours to see all the exhibits. Make sure to take a slide carpet before you walk upstairs to see the 747 ;)

The museum is amazing. Kinds under 4yo are don't pay entrance. There's parking lot but it costs 5€. To see some attractions working you must pay for it. The IMAX is amazing although the scanners don't work properly. Gift shop has not so much to choose. Exposed pieces are scarced although amazing. Restaurant is ok although more food might be required.

Awesome museum with numerous displays outside, as well as in multiple hangers and buildings. We spent about 2-3 hours enjoying the museum and then purchased several neat items in their Giftshop!

Sprawling museum with both indoor and outdoor exhibits. "Technology" is primarily transportation and mostly military. Cars, trucks, locomotives, planes, ships, submarines, etc. Good exhibit info in both German and English. Wander at your own pace and interests. Go inside many items, including a 747, submarines, and the only remaining Russian space shuttle. Plan on spending at least 4 hours.

Absolutely brilliant museum with something for all tastes. Due to time constraints and my desire to do their sister museum in Sinsheim first I was limited to just under 3 hours. Managed to cram all I wanted to see while there though albeit a bit rushed

Great museum that showcases something from every aspect of transportation from trains to bikes to cars and planes. Hard to see it all in one visit so will have to go back another time!

A fitting tribute to Europeon influence in space, engineering, and technology. A great place for kids, budding science, and technology students with lots of exhibits. A must-see when traveling to Speyer.
Hostel '68 Heidelberg (Old Town) is located near the picturesque ruins of Heidelberg Castle, which sits on a terraced hillside above the Old Town. The castle, built in the 16th century and made of red Neckar sandstone, is a prime example of German Renaissance architecture. The Old Town itself is well-preserved, with medieval buildings and cobblestone streets. It's also home to Germany's oldest university, adding a lively student population to the area.
Great old town you could walk around for hours

Heidelberg Palace is a ruined red sandstone castle that sits on a hillside in the heart of Heidelberg, Germany. It is one of the most beautiful ruins in the world and is popular with tourists for its incredible views across the Neckar River. The only way to see the interior of Heidelberg Palace is by tour - after 6pm it is open to the public for free.
Beautiful, highly recommend for a lazy stroll. The views of the palace and the city from the terrace is breathtaking. We went on a rainy day and still managed to have a great time. There’s a short hike, moderately steep but absolutely doable. Wear comfy shoes. I saw some cars up there too, so I guess it’s possible.

Really cool castle! The views of the city are incredible. The walk up is pretty steep so be prepared if you are going that way. Don’t miss the pharmacy museum and the giant wine barrel. The inner part of the castle costs 9 euros but it’s worth it. Also check out the garden in the back for even more great views.
deependablereviews — Google review
If you like explore castles, this will be educational and fun.
Starting with a hike up the castle is highly recommended! It made me appreciate so much modern amenities - there is a cable car you can purchase to go up and down as well (€9 will get a person up and down the hill for the castle). The grounds outside the castle is fun to walk around simply for the view it offers of the town. Once up at the castle level, get ticket to the courtyard. It can be included in the cable car. It will take maybe an hour or hour and half but seeing the massive wine barrel - it will be the biggest ever! and learning about the start of medicine/ pharmacy in Germany will be a fun experience in the museum inside. Wander around to the front of the castle the view is great not just the old town below but also the castle structure itself.
Happy travels

Visited the palace during the weekend
Busy time but not crowded.
Took the train car up to the castle.
The views from the castle grounds are extracurricular! Definitely a must see when you're visiting Germany.
While in the palace, you have the opportunity to see some historic artifacts and museums that are unlike no other. The palace gardens are also a true wonder.

Some really great views of the city and the area below. A lot of good walking. There's plenty to see. However, I was disappointed that I was displaced from the ticket shop for not having the right mask on. Apparently the n95 mask that I had on did not suffice. I'm sure this will change in time.

Great attraction. There is a train to the top, I learned this after walking up the dang hill. Wonderful views of the city. The architecture and decor are awesome.. The statues have amazing details carved into them. The garden is huge. The pharmacy museum was very interesting and offers signage in multiple languages to include English. Definitely worth taking family when they visit. Bonus, it's open on Sundays.

Beautiful palace situated up above the town with gorgeous scenery from its balconies and garden terrace.
Impressive facades throughout the palace.
Must do the guided tour to see its real beauty and learn about its historical misfortunes, the chapel at the end tour is exquisite.

Such a nice place!
Both the castle and the gardens are worth a visit. You can access the gardens for free but will have to pay to enter the courtyard.
Adult ticket is 9€ (August 23), which also includes access to the funicular going up and down.
You'll need to pay an extra 6€ if you want to actually enter the castle which is only available through guided tours.

Great place to check out, it was wet and windy but we still enjoyed the site and your. Highly recommended the guided tour, they take you through the castle you can’t go through with a normal ticket. The garden was really cool with great city views and we could see the hustle bustle of Christmas markets from there too. The tour showed us some cool stuff in the castle and told us pretty detailed history about it. The tour group wasn’t huge either so could see/hear pretty much everything. Only 8-10 min walk up a hill or stairs to it also on old cobble stone walkways. Hope to see again some day.

What a beautiful place. Rich with history. The palace is well worth taking a tour. I went with some friends and we really enjoyed taking photos and admiring at the grand and plentiful works of art. The view is incredible. The tour (i took in English) allows you to walk inside the hallways. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the palace.

One of the best “ruins castles” in Germany. We really enjoyed the tour through the castle. The views of Heidelberg from the castle are fantastic as well. It is a bit of a hike to get up to the castle. I would recommend taking the tram if you have issues with climbing stairs and hills or have strollers or older folks with you. The climb is pretty significant. I have now been to this castle several times and I’d go back again and again. Such a great place with such an interesting history.

It’s an amazing castle, I will tell any one about my visit there, the view from castle above the city is beautiful. If you would visit it, try to go before 5:30 pm, because the bus from down to castle through the mountain will close and last trip to enter it will on 5:30. It costs 14€ or 9€ for adults to buy a ticket. Garden around the castle is also nice. Enjoy 😊 (The stairs are long if you want to walk up, you can go up walking but maybe will be difficult for some people)
Samer Fahed — Google review
Amazing place, I could expend days just wandering inside and outside the castle, is simply amazing. The views that has to offer are also out of this world! I bought the ticket for €14 that allowed me the funicular and museums and then at the castle bought the audio guide which is totally worth it tbh. They had it in different languages. There’s also a Michelin 2020 restaurant inside the castle.
Cesar Holguin — Google review
Very nice old palace, you should definitely walk around and visit the garden. All the surrounding are accessible for free. But the entrance to the courtyard costs 9 euros. It’s unreasonably expensive, on my opinion. The size of the yard and what you can see inside is not worth the money. The yard is really small and partially closed for restoration, some cars are parked in places, there are too many people... In addition, to get inside the castle you need to pay even more and book a tour. So I was very disappointed.
But again, the castle itself is spectacular and worth to visit, just consider thoroughly whether you need to go in.
As an advantage, free toilet next to the cash register😉

This castle is located atop a hill with beautiful views of Heidelberg. There are several displays inside showing what early pharmaceutical equipment was like. You can walk to the top of the biggest wine barrel you will ever see. There is a large open area where you can sit in the shade and enjoy the views. Food is available at a couple of different places on the castle grounds. The castle is accessible by foot (a little bit of a climb) or by train (tickets are available for purchase). You could easily spend a couple hours here.

A beautiful, amazing site that has tremendous views! Over looking the entire old town, this castle is a must stop if In Heidelberg! I highly recommend going there during sunset because it’s magical to watch the city and castle grounds light up at night!

I find this castle ruins romantic, specially when going there before sunset. Start by exploring the old bridge which offers lovely views to the city and the castle. Then walk around the old part of Heidelberg city. There are many restaurants offering different cuisines and amazing architecture. Then walk or drive to near the castle and spend the late afternoon there. There are benches to sit on.
Emy Evans — Google review
Definitely worth the trip. I took the funicular railway from station Kornmarkt, they offer different tickets, 1 to the castle, single or return, another 1 to the top. I bought the whole trip to the top, cost 14 euro. Price include entry to Heidelberg Palace. U can go all the way to the top then to the palace or stop at palace then continue to the top. I went to the top first, it was very foggy due to rain, fully covered with fog, mist. I just walk around a bit to enjoy the nature n cold.
Then I went to the castle, was raining... but it has a much better view at the castle. It is so beautiful, although ruined but still majestic. There are 2 museums, pharmacy and the brewery..is free, just go in to get some shelter...but the wine barrel is so huge and the wood used to construct the barrel is so solid. I would highly recommend a trip to Heidelberg Palace/ castle

The majestic castle ruins in Heidelberg look down on the city is one of the most impressive sites to see. It is an absolute recommendation for a day trip, with great views on the city and beautiful architecture that you can enjoy even though most of it is ruins. Heidelberg Castle is a true gem nestled in the heart of this historic city, and my recent visit left me utterly spellbound! The absolutely breathtaking view of Heidelberg city.
The architecture, the history, and the sheer grandeur of Heidelberg Castle make it a must-visit destination.
But the real magic happened when I reached one of the viewpoints overlooking the city. The panoramic view of Heidelberg spread out beneath me was nothing short of spectacular. I definitely recommend also taking a tour of the topmost part of the castle.

A truly amazing infrastructure with a breathtaking view of the city of Heidelberg. It was well worth it coming here. I took the stairs going up which I wouldn’t advise if you’re not doing much cardio like me. Better to use the other path or the cable car.

Visually appealing historical monument that tells the story of opulence and power. Every ornament has creative details of history and artisans with skills beyond ordinary. The texture, color and breadth of the different parts of the castle are worth seeing in a lifetime.

A must see.
We visited on a Sunday in late Feb 24. Weather was cold but dry. Wear comfortable shoes/trainers.
This is a great place to go and visit. Park in the underground carpark in the centre of town. Allow at least 3 hours for a visit. Entrnace was €9 per adult (includes a return ride in the funicular and entrance to the castle). We also booked an English speaking tour (lasted about 90 minutes and you get to see places the public are not allowed in (€6 per person - you can purchase it when at the castle, but check times first. Highly recommended).
Most information boards in English and German. A couple of souvenir shops.
The Porsche Museum is a museum dedicated to the history of the Porsche brand of automobiles. The museum features some beautiful vehicles from the early 20th century to the present. It also has a variety of multimedia installations that are perfect for children.
Excellent collection of classic and modern Porsche cars. Interactive displays and audio guides in English intrigued our sons, who were happy to spend a few hours learning about the history of the Porsche company (including its involvement in WWII). Definitely worth visiting if you are a car lover.

The building is impressive to see. Selection of the cars is comprehensive and well laid out. Good coverage of Porsche's engineering era and innovations. One of the best museums ever. Forget the fact that I'm a Porsche enthusiast. The museum does a wonderful job of telling the story of the company as well as displaying some stunning cars. The location is convenient and the restaurants in the building are wonderful. The real selling point is how the cars are displayed. The cars are not behind glass or roped off, which really ruins pictures. They are accessible to be walked around and appreciated. For a Porsche person, this is a bucket list item.

Was a little underwhelmed by the experience of the museum. It’s well-laid out and easy to follow, yet lacks a real depth of cars and history.
Paid €12 for entry, and took about 1 hour to walk through the whole place, despite being quoted longer on google.

This is an OK museum, a good range of cars - but not particularly big, lacks depth of content and other than a handful of exhibits not very hands on. I've done Mercedes, BMW and Audi - all much better than this. Travelled quite a way to see this and honestly felt let down given how good the Mercedes museum was the day before.

Fascinating! Took my three young children here. Ages 4,5,8. With your admission ticket you receive a handheld smart device to punch in the numbers at each exhibit. This give you an audio description of the exhibit and other options to interact with the exhibit. Even for my three little ones this was captivating. A solid 2-3 hours worth of entertainment. There’s also food onsite with a kids menu that is reasonably priced.

A small but a very good museum! First of all there is no option to purchase tickets online, you have to buy them at the front desk. As for the museum, the food is very impressive for a cafeteria inside of a museum. Second, it’s a small museum compared to some others but it’s packed with interesting cars and stories. Definitely worth the visit. Car park is 4 euro for 4 hours, not bad!

Apart from the high popularity and prestige status of this famous brand, you can also learn German's high quality in art, design, manufacturing and technology. The transportation is very convenient as it is just next to the train station. Highly recommended!

Very slick and polished just like the car itself.
Polite service all around and the cars were amazing too.
The audio guide works by you keying in the exhibit number and then deciding if you wanted to listen to the general history, technical information or even if you wanted a kiddy version.
The escalator takes you to the museum level and you work your office at the round and up (ramps not stairs) and at the top, once you are done there's another escalator to take you all the way back down (gift shop and cafe/restaurant)
We loved the cars and all the history.
There's an area where you can sit in an actual Porsche car and have your picture taken and printed out for free.
Definitely worth a visit!
If you go to the Mercedes museum after, show them the Porsche tickets to get a discount on tickets.

Quite accessible by public transport right next to the train station.
Overall quite underwhelming compared to to the Mercedes Benz Museum I visited earlier but this may be because of the smaller range of Porsche products and singular design.

Nice museum to visit especially if you’re into cars obviously. The building is very interesting architecturally as well.
The collection exhibited is pretty complete.
The museum itself as an infrastructure doesn’t seem prepared to receive so many people. There are only 2 toilets which really made a huge line of wait, the cafe was full, there were no seats, no one checked our tickets to go in the museum, felt like a lot of chaos and lack of organization for this flux of people !

Attention Porschephiles! You MUST SEE this museum and the car/art they have within the walls. There are 1 of 1 examples, there are some of the finest race cars to see, there are examples from nearly EVERY model line (focus on the 911, of course) and there are some superb examples of the models that are known to makes us almost cringe to look upon. ALL of this done in a most efficient, guided semi-spiral walk-through exhibit that leads to and from both the cafe and gift shop at the entrance. I KNEW I was in for treat, but this surpassed my expectations when we got to sit and take photos in a brand new Shark Blue 911 Targa! Stunning piece of art, seriously. The hand-held audio device for exhibit interpretation is complimentary for day of use and you get to keep the Porsche lanyard as a free gift. Very well done, nods to the man himself, Ferry Porsche, and hats off to the crew who put this museum together. 10/10 Recommend! --J

Absolutely stunning museum designed to hugely enhance the amazing displays of historic and current Mercedes-Benz cars. We spent over two hours there and, had it not been closing time, would have stayed a lot longer.
We thought the price of €12 per adult was excellent value for money and, as well as truly appreciating the sublime architecture, we were massively impressed by the world history displayed in the panels down each of the curving walkways on each floor.
And to the cars! An awesome display of high quality vehicles of all types with individual plaques to explain their significance. No-one could fail to be impressed by the range, quality and descriptions for each vehicle on display. From the first historic cars to the most current Formula 1 cars, the range is quite unbelievable.
The toilet, accessibility and food facilities are all top class, as is the range of items to purchase in the shop. In all, a highly recommended experience which is too good to miss if you're in Stuttgart. Thank you!

One of the best automobile museums that I have been to (as an automotive enthusiast)! The museum was filled with not only detailed history about the car as a mode of transportation, but also world history so that one could understand the context of which the inventions or innovations were made in. Such a diverse collection of cars, iconic and legendary. 4 stars because I would have loved to see the latest cars from Mercedes-Benz. The newest ones in the museum were only concept cars from the past decade. Bit disappointed in this respect but all in all, worth the visit!

Brilliant museum! I loved the mix of past and present. It truly was a journey through time. Sad I didn't get to see a mention of Bruno Sacco but still everything else was amazing!

The MERCEDES-BENZ MUSEUM was amazing! When you first arrive, you take the elevator to the top floor and walk down the spiralling path. It starts with the earliest vehicles and the vehicles get progressively newer the further down you go. The museum was well laid out with plenty of lighting. The parking garage on the backside of the museum made the visit painless and easy.

Impressive museum! Sadly I got an audio guide with a low battery and it died in the middle of my visit. You get to keep the strap of the audio guide as a souvenir by the way.
It takes around 2-3h to see everything depending on your speed. It starts with a chronological order since 1900. There is a lot of information for car enthusiasts and also for people who just want to learn more about the history of car making and the different inventions/technologies throughout the history.
The design of the building itself is amazing. There are lockers and coat storage places. Toilets, which were remarkably clean, are available not only during the start/end of the museum but there is one in each level as far as I remember.
At the end of the tour, some fun interactive activities are available which can also be suitable for kids, I think it was called science center or something similar. The gift shop had a very limited selection and was quite overpriced.

This was my first visit to the Mercedes Museum and I have to admit that I was really positively surprised.
The architecture is amazing and totally fitting to the themes that are shown.
Each of the eight levels tells unique stories throughout the history of Mercedes Benz.
It’s easy to navigate through the museum and just beautifully made.
Worth a visit! Or another one.

Great place to learn about the history of Daimler and Mercedes, and a bit of Mr. Porsche. You can see many of the original classic cars to rare prototypes. It’s nice to see big companies are helping to reduce environmental impacts.

The MERCEDES-BENZ MUSEUM is amazing place with plenty of vehicles. When you first arrive, you take the elevator to the top floor and walk down the spiraling path. A well-presented and arranged museum that not only encompasses the history of Mercedes Benz but also the history of the automotive world of cars.
There are many of beautiful cars, trucks,F1 cars, buses. Everything is explained really well and plenty of information about every vehicle. Few euros for a ticket is really worth. The tickets were well priced and included a free audio guide.
Good restaurant to dine in after your walkabouts. ne can easily spend 4-5 hours and if you are a car enthusiast even more. The museum was well laid out with plenty of lighting. The parking garage on the backside of the museum made the visit painless and easy.

We've been there on Saturday afternoon, didn't felt crowded. Museum is HUGE! Amazing experience, would recommend it to everyone. The entry is low in comparison what you see. You can even enter in some vehicles. Employees were mostly all very friendly. We can recommend also restaurant in museum, very cosy environment, friendly staff and food was delicious. 🙌🏻

Even for non car lovers, this place is still good to visit. What more for car enthusiasts.
Having gone to 2 famous car museums in Stuttgart, here’s my take for Mercedes Benz, the exhibits are informative and I like how the museum flows with time and also with other world events. You will see why the entire Mercedes Benz or (Daimler) group is so important to the history of Germany
The gift shops are well equipped with pretty nice souvenirs to get from.
There are cafes and a restaurant.
There are also locker rooms and coat rooms if you are bringing bigger bags you can store them and go for your tour.
Went alone and spent about 2.5 hours or so in there. Staff are helpful and friendly.
This museum is more family oriented and there are 7 levels of exhibits.
I enjoyed myself especially knowing the history of Germany and the company. Ever wondered the names of Daimler, Benz, Mercedes and how are they related and why is it being used interchangeably? What does the logo stands for? You will get your answer here.

The Museum is very nice. Starting at the top floor you work your way from the invention of the first engine, to the first motorized carridge to the first car and get a good historical view of transportation as we know it today. We enjoyed the exhibits that were much more than just looking at cars. The museum shows connections between world events and the car industry avoiding controversial issues.

This is such a great place to visit if you are fond of cars, technology or history. It would take 3 to 4 hours to cover all the sections. The audio guide works seamlessly. The cars on display are maintained with utmost care and are very well organized.
Overall it's a must visit place for any automotive enthusiast!

My time at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart left me with mixed feelings. 🏎️💔 While there were positives, some aspects fell short of my expectations.
The museum layout and historical insights into Mercedes-Benz vehicles were well done, and the reasonable entrance fee was a plus. However, the lack of significant changes over the past 5 and a half years was a bit disappointing. 🕰️🤔 I hoped for fresh additions to keep the experience captivating for returning visitors.
A downside was the presence of unrelated political propaganda along the walking route between floors. 🚫🗳️ This seemed out of place and distracted from the museum's automotive focus.
The souvenir shop at the end didn't live up to expectations due to high prices. 💰😕 It dampened the overall value after paying the entrance fee.
I recommend avoiding the museum during summer holidays due to large crowds. 🌞🚶♂️ This can detract from the enjoyment of the visit.
In conclusion, the Mercedes-Benz Museum has highlights, especially for car enthusiasts, but updates, pricing, and overall visitor experience could be enhanced. 🏁🚗

A great place to visit when in Stuttgart. I have been there twice now and I am mesmerized each time. Their organized manner, way of storytelling is just amazing. We started at the very beginning of human civilization of using horses as a mode of transportation. From there, the discovery and use of motor vehicles, steam engines and fuel engines was just marvelous.
A huge collection of collectibles and historical facts made the entire experience worthwhile. This was really a great experience for us.
They also had a nice cafeteria and souvenir store along with a simulation centre.
Tickets are subsidized for students, kids and senior citizens.

Absolutely loved it here. Organisation is excellent. Range of exhibits is vast - including cars, buses, racecars, etc. Wide range of German and works history also covered. Audio guide is super helpful. Took us about 3 hours to explore the entire museum. Cafe is expensive for what it is (€8 for two coca cola bottles). Public transport is good to here. We cycled from central Stuttgart no problem. But trains also available.
One of the best places I've ever visited. Thank you.

I very much enjoyed my tour of the Mercedes-Benz museum. You take an elevator ride up to the top floor and begin with looking at some of the oldest cars and engines and walk your way down to today’s modern automobiles.
As you journey through over 100 years of car history, you get to enjoy looking at all the cool cars, trucks, and other various automobiles Mercedes-Benz have manufactured.
I recommend getting lunch in the cafe/trying out their restaurant in the basement as well and making a day trip. It took me about 3 hours to get through everything and eat both breakfast and lunch here and I came by myself, so I’d say prepare at least 5 hours if you’re visiting with a group/your family.
The Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof is a grand station adorned with Neo-Renaissance accents that serves both regional and long-distance routes. The ground floor hosts platforms for long-distance trains while the underground provides access to the S-bahn and U-bahn systems. Facilities such as paid restrooms, food and beverage shops, and seating areas are available within the station.
The wonderful old architecture of the railway station🤩 During the pick time is a bit more crowded but that's everywhere. The navigation signs are still very easily visible and understandable.
There is a plenty of different connections across the city near surrounding and far distance connections.
Included a lot of food stores for the convenience of traveling or short stops. Thank you 🤘🏼🚀

This station is the backbone of the transportation system in frankfurt as you can get Trams, metro, national and international trains from this place, but still it's not crowded as we see in many places, sometimes it's a bit confusing but one can manage if they check the details properly.
Moreover sunset view is amazing from this station.

It is a beautiful train station with its own architectural features. There are many convenient services in the train station, such as DB information desk, bakery selling German specialty breads, fast food restaurants, mini-markets, etc.
But the sanitary condition, not particularly clean and hygienic. There are a lot of pigeons in this train station, resulting in a lot of bird poop, and there are some homeless vagrants.

Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof is the bustling main train station of Frankfurt. Very busy at times. There are many food kiosks and other services available. Unfortunately there are some transient/homeless people who wander through the station, asking for money. The immediate area outside the hauptbahnhof is also a little sketchy, with some open drug dealing, but it's not unsafe. Deutsche Bahn runs a very efficient service, trains run very much on time.

The main reason I choose Frankfurt Haputbahnhof as the starting point for my personal travel is that there are quite a variety of public transportation tools that can easily to use from day to mid-night. No matter what time it is, the crowd is obviously everywhere inside or outside this station. Very busy train platform, but easy to locate the appropriate train based on all the signage and platform updates. There's plenty of food shops, places to sit and wait. Liked the architecture of the station. It's very huge and gorgeous. It's a typical terminus station where the railroads end in the station, so you can just walk to the end of the platform and move to another one without using the bridge. There are fast-food restaurants and convenience stores in the station.

The train station is beautiful! It has a historical charm that reminds me of Harry Potter heading to Platform 9¾. However, I must admit that the train system can be quite complicated, especially for non-German speakers or tourists in general. The costumer service desk is not very helpful, the workers have an attitude and are not willing to help. I accidentally boarded the wrong train and ended up receiving an 80 euro fine from one of the train ticket officials. It would be great if they could be more helpful and friendly towards tourists, offering guidance and assistance when needed.

Large and efficient station, as one would expect from Germany. Trains that connect all over Germany and the rest of Europe including Amsterdam, Vienna and Basel.
Tram and metro also connect to the station. Lots of electronic and physical signs so it's impossible to get the wrong train.
Tons of cafe and sandwiches type places available as well as a few sit down restaurants and the usual junk fast food.
Unique architecture here and it is a visual treat. Overall a very pleasant experience

This has to be the most used train station in Europe for me. I lived here for two years in the 80s; I love train so much that I make my trips around it - it was great when German DB was reliable and dependable.
Not during my last few trips, especially 2022. Accidents, delays ...
Oh, I'm off the topic.
This station although heavily used, but I don't think it has a supermarket ... foods / coffee bars are plentiful. Some under ground tunnels feels icky. Many buses and subways merge here (duh)

A nice train station with a beautiful architecture. The main train station in Frankfurt with connections to almost all major cities across Germany and Europe. Signs are very well labeled making it a bit easy to navigate your way to the right platform, especially if you don’t speak German. There are many shops and restaurants to keep you busy as you wait for your train. There are also numerous public benches if you just want to chill and not spend a dime. It wasn’t that busy when I visited but a bit rush. Pretty sure it gets chaotic during rush hours. Good thing is they have service desks where you can visit any time and an attendant will help you find your way.

The best experience and also the most challenging is to climb the stairs to reach the viewing platform at the top of the cathedral. Narrow staircases, straight upward climbing is quite exhausting. But really worth of giving it a try. Also the view from the top is really fantastic, a mesmerizing birdeye view of Ulm.

If you are ever in Ulm, or passing by with a few hours for your next train connection, and if you like Gothic style buildings, you need to see this very interesting church building.
If you like taking bird’s eye views, this place will interest you, but be aware, there are many steps to climb up if you want to take great pictures of the town from above. Likewise, it will take you time to get back down.
The inside of the building is also marvellous with great designs and centuries old architecture.
This place is close walking distance from the Ulm Hbf train station and I would recommend a tour visit and if you can, go up to the maximum point where you can take unobstructed photos.

The Gothic-style ancient cathedral boasts a spectacular interior with soaring ceilings and intricate sculptures. Sunlight streaming through the large stained glass windows of the nave bathes the entire space in beautiful hues, creating a serene ambiance. When the bells chime, a tranquil stillness envelops the surroundings, offering a moment of spiritual clarity.
Climbing the high tower is an option, and if you have the stamina, reaching the top provides a breathtaking view of the surrounding city. Currently undergoing maintenance, access to the tower is limited, but once the restoration is complete, I look forward to returning to this place to embrace life anew.

Amazing place for small and big kids. The wait time for the rides is quite long so the Express pass is worth looking into. Or spend two days, there is enough to experience!
Markus Tacker — Google review
Very nice experience if you or even better your kid is a Lego fan. I imagine the experience for kids is really amazing. On the other hand, the park does lack rides that would be suitable for older visitors.
All in all would recommend, but don't get your hopes up too high as the park is also not really that big.

Amusement park for kids all ages starting from 5 or 6 years old. 2 days 2 night is perfect compromise to enjoy and have some rest however the park is not extremely huge so if not so many people best attractions can be tried in a shorter time...about the cost I wouldn't say that park, overnight, food is cheap but surely everything around including toilets are very clean

Legoland is the top attraction in case you have kids. Few tips & tricks to plan your visit well:
- if you can, plan your visit during work days, avoid weekends and public holidays. Even on Monday there were many people.
- Online tickets available only, please take care to buy it in advance. Parking ticket might be purchased online as well
- install app for queues monitoring, attractions planning, navigation
- note all rides closes 1 hr before park closing. And yes, Sealife aquarium also categorized as ride 😁Kids loved it! Diverse settings with fun rides and playgrounds. Main dining area best value to eat, especially, pizza. Take water since expensive to purchase on site. Get there early with a plan as to priorities in rides since some have longer wait times as the day progresses. I suspect summer months will have this park very crt due to its size (small).LegolandWe came here to meet friends who have older kids. I thought my one year old wouldn’t really get much from it. I was wrong! We all had a lot of fun! The duplo area is just perfect for the little ones and he absolutely loved it there! The food at the restaurant was also really good and the changing rooms are super well equipped. We’ll come back!

A great theme park with lots of activities for kids in all ages. Most of the rides are suitable for kids 6 and older, but even the older ones can find lots of fun activities. You’ll find roller coasters, water activities, 3D, maze, tea cups, food and drinks.
Don’t miss the Lego mini cities- quite remarkable!
Park closes at 18:00 and can be quite busy during the holidays.
Make sure to download the app for navigation through the park and queue times.

Great place for kids. Some attractions may catch attention of parents as well. Of course every attraction is hindered by queue, sometimes 40 minutes long Large parking place nearby.

Had a great time there with my kid and husband, spent 1 day there and we would have needed more time. We bought the tickets in advance, about 2 months before the day.
The child was able to enjoy all the attractions even though he is around 120 cm tall (for some was mandatory to have an adult with him).
All the attractions were closed at 5pm.
The food is not that good, just junk food.

We had an amazing day out at Legoland Germany. We stayed locally, the night before and spent the entire day there. We went mid October Monday, so crowds were small. It’s was epic. Could have easily filled in 2 days, but had to keep moving. The kids 13 & 8 loved it. Roller coasters were appreciated by both the kids and adults. As an adult, I’d have to say, way cooler than I expected. Way cooler.

LEGO land in Gunzburg is one of the best playtime for kids. You need 1 full day to cover this park.
I have been just 1 week before Halloween and it was best experience for my daughter.
Ticket prices are variable and better to book early. Also I suggest to book online instead waiting in Q.
If your kids 3 above and looking for safe rides, then this is the first choice.

We booked a 3-night stay 20 days ago, the price was 330EUR for a campervan place to park and 2 day tickets for 5 people. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, the holiday Village was rather full. The facilities were clean, there was also a special cleaning machine for chemical toilet. Just be careful, some people use drinking water to clean their toilet. Yuck. It took about 7 minutes to walk to Legoland through a small wood. In the morning they open at 9.45, the rides start at 10 a.m. The waiting times differ a big deal- we waited 30 minutes for the top rides, 5 minutes for others. When it started to rain on Tuesday, there were absolutely no waiting times and the kids enjoyed Maximus ride 5times in a row. If it rains and you have a raincoat, you are in for a lot of fun. Just a note - there are definitely not enough places to hide from rain. If it rains and you want to sit for a while, no chance... just 2 pizza places which are permanently full. The food was nothing special - fast food schnitzel rather bad (10 eur) chips good (6eur), waffles very good (6eur), pizza okay(10eur), popcorn good(5,50eur). Alltgether the kids were over the moon, a place to go.

Awesome!! I highly recomand to buy tickets in advance!! My 4y and 6y were super excited. Even if we were in winter season and many attractions were closed, we barely had enough time to explore 80% of the park in ~6h

It’s a great park if you’re a Lego fan although somehow it feels older than it is (20 years old). Rides and attractions are ok although without much capacity, meaning you need to queue a fair bunch for very short rides (2-3mins). I can’t imagine that ratio during the high-season… Most of the staff was ok and average rude, not many English speakers. Plenty of shopping opportunities. We had a great family time but it’s unlikely that we will make the trip again.
Located in the heart of the vineyards in Wurzburg, Germany, is a grand 18th-century palace known as Würzburg Residence. This lavish castle offers guided tours showcasing its exquisite frescos and paintings. It also boasts formal gardens that add to its charm and beauty. The Residenz palace is a significant architectural landmark, representing various European styles brought together under one roof.
I've visited the Residenz many times over the years and it's always an amazing experience. I love walking in the gardens, climbing the terraces and enjoying the view of the palace. This time I went inside again after several years and it was a very pleasant surprise to see how the presentation has changed. The large prints of black and white photos showing the destruction after 16 March 1945 add an impressive layer to the historic rooms.

One of my favorite castle in Germany. It’s a really beautiful place and there’s so much to see. The rooms are very beautiful and some impressive. However, the staff was quite unfriendly and even a bit rude. They also do not allowed photos inside but I saw a lot of people doing it and the staff ignored them so I did the same. I also want to mention that they have beautiful blossom in their garden during spring. It was magical!

It is very beautiful residence in Würzburg. We can not take a picture for inside of residence. However there are many amazing displays. Especially I would like to recommend to see a painting on the ceiling. It is most beautiful around the Germany.
The garden is also beautiful and you can visit freely and take a picture.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside - you definitely don't want to miss it!
The incredulous wall and ceiling paintings, the breath taking mirror room and the amounts of silver and gold throughout are just one part of it, there's lots more.
Saying that, I usually don't like castles too much, but this one.... Boy-oh-boy

Beautiful place inside and out. Visit the gardens. Been many times as a child and it’s still the same. Worth a visit. You can park and walk around the town but you do have to pay for parking.

one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. You will never regret paying only 9 euros for it. It is one of the must-see places if you are in Würzburg. It took me 3 hours just to soak up the interior. Very amazing sculpture, building, color meaning, everything is amazing. And the park next to it was also clean and comfortable, of course you can enter it for free. And don't forget one thing. You have to leave your bag and put 1€ in the locker to keep it and get it back when you're done. I had a 50 cent coin and it wouldn't work. A perfect place to take a perfect picture, just like a painting.

Nice Residence, internal visit is also interesting. It costs €9,00 per person. I recommend it. But unfortunately you cannot take photos of the interior. All the signs and boards with the history of every part of the place are in German and also English.

Strongly recommended if you are in Würzburg. A beautiful piece of architecture with an amazing interior and an absolutely beautiful garden. The only drawback is that you cannot take the pictures of the palace from the inside. A very well maintained garden area with many varieties of flowers and a fountain in the backyard. The entry to the garden is free and you can see the palace from inside with an entry fee of 9€ per person. Garden has several vantage points of clicking nice pictures.

Beautiful place to visit if you stop by in Würzburg. With the entrance ticket you will get a free tour within the residence. It start every 20min and will take round about 20minutes. The offering the tour in German and English Language. Backpacks are not allowed in the building but you have plenty of lockers there were you can put you luggage. You need a 1 € coin.

Pleasantly surprised 😲 by the visit to this palace, baroque art in all its splendor.
Entrance at €9 euros per adult, it's worth it. We spend a good hour there admiring all the rooms.
It's not cold there 🥶, the rooms are heated. On the ground floor you will find toilets 🚽 located next to the storage room, after the checkout room.
A lift is available for 🦽 disabled people.

On the 10th day of our Viking Grand European Tour, we stopped at this grand location. This is part of tour package so we didn’t have to pay the entrance fee. The Residence is grand on the outside as well as on the inside. It’s just a little bit disappointing not to be able to take pictures inside but to see it with my own eyes is great. Upon completing the inside tour, you can also visit the courtyard garden and enjoy the flowers, shrubs and trees that complement the grandeur of this tourist attraction. By the way, the place is also wheelchair accessible via an elevator if you want to go to the main attraction inside the building.

Definitely worth doing the tour in English as the guide was both informative and amusing. The entire palace is quite extraordinary, particularly since it was reconstructed following the British Obliteration in the Second World War (May will be forgiven please).
The attention to detail in the restoration is worthy of particular comment, no one would know that these are not the original plaster, stucco or frescoes.

We did a day trip from Munich to Würzburg and the palace is breathtaking. The work on the walls and the lighting and decor was mesmerizing. The fact that Napoleon spent a night at this very palace is special.
You can get a tour of the palace in English and the entry ticket costs €9/ per person and if you are w astudent you pay one euro less. The palace gardens are stunning.
Must visit if you are in Munich for a while
The Imperial Castle of Nuremberg is a majestic castle complex from the 11th century that includes a royal palace and gardens, offering breathtaking views of the city. Originally built as a court, it later became infamous for being used by the Third Reich to enact oppressive laws in 1935. However, its most notable historical event was hosting the 'Nuremberg Trials' after World War II.
I had a great time walking around the castle, appreciating the history and contemplating what my home country looked like at the time the castle was built and bustling with activity. I went on a rainy, dreary day but I still had good views of the surrounding area.

Wow, wow, wow. Excellent castle visit to the Imperial Castle.
Located at the top of a hill, overlooking the city of Nuremberg, the Imperial Castle is reached after a serious climb uphill. Not difficult for the fully able ,it is a long rather arduous slog up to the courtyard.
*******,Handicap VERY difficult , if not impossible, not made any easier by the cobblestone road .*********( that said, I did see a gentleman with a walker!!!)
The museum entry is 7 Euros, 6 if you are a senior or a student.
Wow----super excellent presentation and displays of the medieval history of this castle 🏰. Armaments, armor, clothing, artifacts, explanations and visuals were superb. One of the best. Great value for the money!!!!

It was amazing to visit this imperial castle of Nuremberg. The constructions were protected with 3 layered thick wall with around 10 ft thickness and 2 stages of different heights. The tunnels, the rooms, the towers, the gardens, the dungeons, the underground pathways designs and the city view points were awesome to see. I felt like I entered in the Game of Thrones series.

Amazing medieval castle that have been kept so well.
This is truly a castle with super strong defense.
Not far from the city center market, easy to walk to. Free to walk into it and there is a good view of the old town.
Even though Nuremberg was 90% destroyed during WWII, the old town was rebuilt and restored according to the pictures they had of the old buildings and structures. So, much of the history is preserved. Otherwise, if they had decided to build everything new, there would not be not much of the past left to see.
Very impressive old town city market with a gorgeous fountain and church, and you can buy fantastic food, flowers, gingerbread cookies….
If you are a WWII history fan, then you have a lot more places to see.
Really worth visiting.

It's incredible how well-preserved the castle is post-World War II. Its grandeur and size are truly breathtaking. From the top, overlooking the town, you understand why it was strategically placed there. The surrounding city walls in Nuremberg are still intact, offering about an hour's walk around them. Navigating the city is convenient; everything is within a 30-minute walk from the center, allowing you to discover hidden gems like bridges, churches, and historic buildings along the way. The castle itself offers free entry and plenty of areas to relax. Exploring its various sections, like the converted horse stables and food storage areas, is best with a knowledgeable local guide to delve into its history. Though it requires a bit of uphill walking, the panoramic view from the top makes it all worthwhile, showcasing the city's landmarks and beauty.

This iconic castle is likely more interesting from the outside than the inside.
Due to destruction during WWII, most of the interiors are redone as a museum. The anvient weapons and armor displays are nice.

I still can't believe that the castle is still in such good shape after the Second World War. Breathtaking, massive, magnificent. When you go up to the top and look out over the town, you get a sense of why they built the castle where it is. I cannot get over how impressive it is. Also, Nuremberg is still surrounded by the great city walls. It takes about an hour to walk around them. That's the great thing about the city. You can walk anywhere and it never takes more than 30 minutes to get to the other side of the city centre. Best of all, while you are exploring the city on foot, you will find many other gems on your walking adventure. From bridges to churches and other lovely old buildings. Enjoy!🏰✨️

The ibis Bamberg Altstadt is a basic, laid-back hotel located in the heart of Bamberg. It offers complimentary Wi-Fi and a 24-hour snack bar. Overall it is a nice hotel in a great location within walking distance to some great sights and places to eat. Hotel staff were super friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious with a comfy bed, BUT there was a very strong sewer smell in the bathroom and the shower was small and in a triangular shape so it was difficult to have a shower.
I would stay again

My husband and I arrived, during Christmas Market time. The concierge's name was Abdullah, who was very professional, personable and helpful. This hotel was close to the festivities and had underground parking. Parking fee was $20 euro for the parking, which was convenient not trying to find parking elsewhere or the possibility of walking long distances, with suitcases. The room and bathroom were very clean, location mostly quiet (in the middle of the night, there were people smoking and speaking loudly outside, which wasn't the hotel's fault), beds and pillows were comfortable and the temperature pleasant. If one didn't want to eat at the hotel, Cafe Luitpold was nearby with a delicious, fresh and nutritious breakfast. If we would travel again to Bamberg, we would consider this hotel again.

I stayed in this hotel for three nights and the staff was friendly during my stay. The room they gave me was spacious, but basically equipped, which is common for Ibis hotels. The bathroom was tiny and the holder for the shower head was broken, so it was uncomfortable to have a shower. The WIFI was fast and I liked the quiet location of the hotel not directly on the main shopping/entertainment street.

The only modern/budget hotel in the old town. Ask for rooms facing the street side (better view) and ending in 15 or 19 (larger). Not the best Ibis shower that I know (they're generally excellent), the shower floor levels with the bathroom (don't wash too enthusiastically), and there's a GREY shower curtain that doesn't let light it (now that's a first-timer!).

The Documentation Centre Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg is a museum that provides an in-depth look at the history, politics and why behind the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich. The museum is currently in renovation. Currently, there is just one small part arranged. The entrance of 6 euro is a bit steep for what it is now, but already to stay in a real place of the history that you explain is a big plus. Then, even though it is temporary, it is well done and give you an understanding of the area.

Heavy stuff, but super enlightening.
I can’t imagine how crowded it would be on a busy day, but my party and I were able to take our time and not feel crowded.
I recommend several breaks for fresh air like me if stuff like this can weigh you down.
Several tours walked through while we observed, read, contemplated, interact with displays, and processed all this information ℹ️.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions, it is alright to not know something. We are all here to learn.
Time should be taken if distractions tend to be a problem, because I have issues staying still at all moments. There is a lot to take in and it’s easy to miss things.
Take pictures, ask questions, and be willing to listen 🎧 👂 .

St Peter Cathedral is also known as Regensburg Cathedral or Dom Peter. It is of Gothic architecture, having two spires. The exterior features some intricate and interesting medieval sculptures, while the interior has the same plus stained glass windows.
In comparison with many other cathedrals I have come across, this is not the most elaborate, but I believe it still deserves a score of 5 stars.

With it's tall spires and Gothic design, this impressive structure is a sight to behold. Inside, you'll find stunning stained glass windows, ornate carvings and beautifully crafted altars, each telling a story of faith and devotion. The size and attention to detail are truly remarkable.

I have been visiting my friends since 1987 they live 12 km near Regensburg and are the owners of a 15th Century Castle with a Brewery. I love Bavaria, particularly Regensburg with its historic old stone bridge, museums, galleries Heid Platz markets, and of course the beautiful Cathedral where I enjoy contemplation and taking photos from your not so usual angles ...Guten tag!

Very nice Dom that shows the might of the Catholic church in it's hay day. I can sit in here and image a time goneby when this place would have been the center for community, politics, faith and life in general. The layout does justice to the importance the placed on the church leadership. The whole experience is really mesmerizing.

St. Peter's Cathedral in Regensburg is an architectural marvel that transports you through time. The intricate details of Gothic craftsmanship and the soaring spires create a breathtaking spectacle. Inside, the awe-inspiring interior and the majestic organ contribute to the cathedral's spiritual ambiance. The historical significance and the panoramic views from the towers make this cathedral a must-visit in Regensburg. A testament to the city's rich cultural heritage.

Along with Cologne Cathedral, the Regensburg cathedral is one of the most important Gothic cathedrals in Germany.
+ France-influenced type of "classic" Gothic cathedrals
+ Characteristic are the basilica complex with a three-storey elevation of the central nave, the transept and an imposing west facade with two towers.
+ overall very imposing and peaceful feeling

One of the most beautiful and large cathedral in Germany. The sense of unity with the town of Regensburg is most attractive. Almost windows in the cathedral are wonderful stained glass. It is a place that must be visited at least once.

Saint Peter's Cathedral is the most important point on the map of Regensburg's history. Its imposing building is the only example of French Gothic in all of Bavaria. Earlier, there was a Romanesque temple in this place, but after a fire in the second half of the 13th century, it was decided to build a new structure. Construction work lasted over 250 years, although the construction of both towers was not completed until the 19th century. You can enter the cathedral for free from 6.30 am till 5.00 p. m. Inside, stained glass windows from the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries delight, which have been preserved in their original condition thanks to the city's avoidance of bombardment. According to some, it is the most beautiful collection in our part of Europe.
She is world-famous for her boys' choir, created a thousand years ago. From 1964 to 1994, its choirmaster was the elder brother of Joseph Ratzinger, by the way- a former member of the choir.

The cathedral was under construction but it did not affect the interior architecture. Spectacular stained glass art was definitely a highlight. The noon prayer session at 12:00 was perfect for meditating and finding some peace of mind in the middle of the day, but the organ music was a little underwhelming, because I expected more from the "intimidating"-looking "pipes" of the organ.

Dom St. Peter sits proud right in the heart of busy Altstadt of Regensburg, dotted by numerous restaurants and shops. A fine example of Gothic Architecture. Inside you can find several sculptures and beautiful stained glass windows. See the photos I've taken.

We have already seen many cathedrals, but this cathedral made me ecstatic. What a beauty! Most of all I liked the stained glass windows. And although the cathedral looks a little dark, the old stained glass windows let in little light, but the atmosphere in the cathedral is very authentic. We really enjoyed. Now the cathedral is being reconstructed. But this does not prevent you from admiring the Gothic beauty of the temple.

an impressive gothic church in Bavaria based on the French Architecture. dated to the 1280 and completed through years till the Neo- Gothic form in the 19th century. Today the right tower is completely covered due to renovation. the interior is impressive with the Gothic style. the visit is free to let you enjoy the beauty of early architecture.

The Regensburg Cathedral is an architectural masterpiece that breathes history. Its Gothic splendor, ornate rose windows and majestic towers are impressive. A spiritual and cultural gem that fascinates and uplifts. Be sure to visit!
The Diana observation tower offers breathtaking views of the city and distant mountain ranges. It can be reached by funicular or hiking, and is well-worth the effort for those who want to get a sense of Karlovy Vary's stunning surroundings.
Great view over the Karlovy Vary valley. There is even elevator up and down 😲. Worth to walk there as the forest park around is really nice 👍.

Must to visit place in Karlovy Vary. You can walk all the way up or cheat and use very unique cable lift. I was cheating of course. There is a small fee to be paid and off you go. Observation tower is walking distance from the cable lift station and there is a restaurant with the butterfly farm next to it. Entry to the tower is free of charge and there are steps up and down or lift in the middle. From there you can see the whole town of Karlovy Vary.

Absolutely stunning lookout. The lift was under maintenance apparently but i managed to climbed the 150 steps, it wasn’t that bad at all for average for healthy person. I went on Wednesday in November so there were no waiting times at all! Perfect! Went to their restaurant to refill the tummy, took some awesome photos in the beautiful autumn trees nearby. Worth it! If you dont visit here then you definitely do not officially explored karlovy vary town. Just make sure you take the right funicular/train, not the one in Imperial station as i made a mistake by going there.
Tried to buy funicular ticket online but couldn’t find the button on the website. Czech website kinda sucks most of them.

Nice view all over Karlovy vary city. We climbed on the funicular up and down. It wasnt a big line. the butterfly farm is not active on the winter.

Nice viewing point of Karlovy Vary. There is a lift that leads to it, but during my visit it wasn't working.
There is a restaurant and a souvenir shop next to it, and for the kids a small playground and a butterfly house.

This tower stands at a scenic viewpoint from which you can see the forests and the mountains and the town of Karlovy Vary nestled in the valley below. Many of the visitors to Karlovy Vary over the centuries have visited here, including Goethe. A funicular takes up to the top of the hill the. You can take an elevator free of charge to go to the summit, there are also pleasant paths and hikes through the surrounding woods. There is also a restaurent and small zoo with many cute little piggies 🐷.

Went up in Winter. Be prepared for cold weather with high winds but totally worth it for the view! Make sure to climb the tower on the top of the hill as it is free and gives you a 360 degree view of Karlovy Vary and the surrounding countryside.

I visited this tower during a day tour. The views from the tower are beautiful. You will find an restaurant as well with some animals behind the building which was also nice to see. The restaurant staff are friendly and the capucino is good.

Lovely place to go atop karlovy vary, Czechia. There’s a funicular but also a somewhat medium level trail that will take you to the top. We enjoyed the views at the top and the kids enjoyed the playground. There’s also a restaurant and a butterfly museum there.

You can get there by lift or stairs. It has a spectacular 360° view of Karlovy Vary and surrounding areas. A must visit if you have a few hours! You can hike up from Karlovy Vary or take the lift car. From there you can hike down and enjoy nature.

It was one of the nicest towers I've visited in the EU. 150 wide steps, all uniform construction, too, plus they are completely enclosed.
I like the signs telling you what is in the distance from each section of the lookout area. There's an elevator as well. I imagine maintenance funds come from the cable car fees (which were reasonable) from Karlovy Vary, just behind the famous Grandhotel Pupp.
Mallena Urban — Google review
Good observation point over old Karlovy Vary. It is reachable by feet over mild steep tracks over the hill or the one can purchase a ticket for a small up hill rope driven train. Observation tower has a lift and stairs, of course. For our great surprise - lift was free of charge.

When visiting Pilsen, the Old Pilsner Urquell Brewery water Tower is a must-see attraction for beer enthusiasts. The brewery, in operation since 1842, offers guided tours that take visitors through the history of Pilsner Beer production. Tour highlights include a visit to the old cellars and a taste of unpasteurized beer at the end.

Karlštejn Castle is a beautiful Gothic castle in the countryside southwest of Prague. It is home to many royal treasures, including paintings and portraits of the emperor and his family. There are regular tours available, which are recommended if you want to see this magnificent building up close.
Excellent bathrooms and cafe up at the castle. Also were street vendors in the courtyard serving food and beer. Not a bad wake in that environment at all! Great view of the city or rather town below. The tour of the castle itself was engaging and interesting. Just about the right length of time.

We went to see the castle as we had some spare time in Prague. It was nice to see the land outside the capital. Very very green.
The castle is nothing special. There are tours in English but you have to pay different tickets if you want to visit the whole castle.

Located about 30 kilometers southwest of Prague, Karlštejn Castle started life in 1348 and has since risen in the ranks to one of the best castles in the Czech Republic.
Karlštejn Castle was founded by the Charles IV, King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor as his private residence and a place of safekeeping royal treasures, especially his collections of holy relics and the Imperial Crown Jewels. In 1355 Charles IV stayed here for the first time, overseeing the construction and decoration work, especially in chapels. The construction was completed in 1365 when the Chapel of the Holy Cross in the Great Tower was consecrated.
The Chapel of the Holy Cross was the place of safekeeping the imperial crown jewels until 1420 when the Hussite wars (religious civil war) began, and they had not ever returned to Karlštejn Castle. After the wars in 1436, the Bohemian crown jewels were taken to the Chapel of the Holy Cross where they remained till 1619.
The castle was a representative residence of Charles IV and his son Wenceslas IV only, i.e. till 1419. As a fortress, Karlštejn Castle protected the crown jewels, holy relics, and royal archives till the 17th century.
After 1480 the castle was rebuilt in the late Gothic style, in the last quarter of the 16th century in the Renaissance style. During the last reconstruction that took place at the end of the 19th century (by architect Josef Mocker) in the spirit of purism, the castle gained its present appearance.
The preserved original stair-arrangement of individual castle buildings is very impressive. The lower section with a small courtyard by the Well Tower and the Burgrave´s House continue through the majestic five-storey Imperial Palace and the Marian Tower. At the highest point, the construction of the castle culminates in a monumental, 60-meter-high Great Tower and its massive fortifications.
An unique original 14th-century wall decoration, a set of 129 paintings created by Master Theodoric in the Chapel of the Holy Cross (the largest in the world), the largest portrait gallery of kings of Bohemia in the Czech Republic, a replica of the royal Crown of Bohemia, a unique castle well. The castle is also famous as a set to a comedy play Night at Karlštejn Castle by Czech poet Jaroslav Vrchlický.
After centuries of lying in near ruin, much needed restorative work has restored the Gothic castle to all its former glory, making it an immensely popular destination. The bustling tourist crowds are a stark contrast to the peaceful surrounding countryside which offers views of Karlstejn’s stunning exterior.
From November, 01st, 2021 to March, 31st, 2022 the castle is closed to the public, including the garden.

Great day trip just 30 minute train ride from Prague. The mandatory guided tours are informative and full of neat information. During winter months, the main part is closed off for preservation, so best to visit after May. We still enjoyed our time at the castle and in town, despite not being able to see everything.

Beautiful bohemian castle not far outside of Prague. My guide said many consider it to be the most beautiful in the whole country. However, I visited in April and a portion of the castle (including the chapel) was closed to the public. Also, the village that the castle is located in is seasonal, as there were no stores or restaurants open in the town on a Tuesday afternoon! I would recommend visiting between May-October.

Such a beautiful stop, this could be a quick adventure throughout your visit , it literally takes less than an hour to get here from the main train station and like 20 min walk from the train stop to the castle , the tours are 300 czk for the most basic one , and there are a lot of shops and restaurants that are along the way.

Impressive views, of and from the castle.
It's a nice good really up the hill, through the small village at the foot of the castle.
Many pitstop temptations before getting to the castle itself, I suggest considering a restaurant stop when coming back from the castle.
The tours are organized in Czech and in English.
Although there was a partial reconstruction in the courtyard that didn't impact the overall feeling of the place, its history and beauty.

Karlstejn Castle may not have a lot of history to back it up, considering it was constructed in less than 10 years and served as a storage for crowns and jewels rather than an official residence, but it's worth a day trip from Prague. If you don't drive a car, I recommend taking a one-way cab (Uber / Bolt) from Prague to the castle, after which you would only need to walk up to 5 minutes to the entrance where the tours begin. It's convenient and saves you the uphill climb. While going back, there are of course no cabs available so you'd need to take the train. The train station is a 30 minute walk from the entrance of the castle, right on the other side of the river, and the train itself takes only 45 minutes to get you to the Prague city center. It's quite convenient.
Second, I also recommend buying tour tickets in advance on their website, after which you only need to wait at the meeting point and do not have to queue up for tickets (note that you cannot enter the castle without a guided tour.) There are three types of tours available - I booked number 3 (View from the Great Tower), which is a short, 30 minute guided walk up to the fourth floor of the tour, and then you get 15 minutes to take pictures from the tower. Note that the tower is an enclosed space and the pictures are taken through windows, so you cannot take a picture of yourself with the castle from up the tower. This tour involved climbing some stairs but it wasn't too much.
There are also some areas you can explore on your own after the tour ends - the Clock Tower and the Well Tower are notable ones. I highly recommend the Well Tower, another 2 minute walk from the entrance, which has splendid views of the entire castle and is the best point to take a picture of yourself with the castle background! The well itself is also quite deep, and I also recommend a small souvenir shop by it, really cute hangings, bells, and fridge magnets available there.
The first few pictures I've added are from the Great Tower guided tour, and the last one is from the Well Tower. :)

Kristyna was our guide and she was absolutely delightful. We went on the Czech Tour (for time's sake) and she figured out pretty quickly that we didn't understand Czech, so when we stopped at different spots on the tour she would then speak English for us.
We were very appreciative especially since we knew she didn't have to do that.
Wonderful castle. Bring Czech crowns though. Most things in the little town on the way only take cash.

There's nothing to see inside the castle!!! Total disappointment. The castle is just beautiful from the outside.... The excursion is about 30 minutes or so. I couldn't believe that people pay money for that. It is forbidden to take pictures inside but actually there's nothing to photograph :( It is much more exciting to go around the castle and take pictures and read the history in Wikipedia.

Excellent guide in English. It’s just a shame the visit is divided into three separate tours you can’t book at the same time as you miss out on a lot of rooms.
I recommend you plan your visit ahead and try to book all three back to back.
The grounds are breathtaking and so is the view. It’s real easy to reach the castle via train from Prague (40min ride - a train every half hour + 15min walk).
Don’t miss out on the video in the movie room, by the toilet under the main courtyard. It gives a nice picture of how the castle came to be.

we had a bad and stressful experience. We visted the castle at 8. March at 3pm. the lady who led the Czech tour didn't let us join the English group even though we don't understand a word of Czech. of course, she didn't even try to speak to us in English or explain herself, so we stood for over 20 minutes like complete idiots and listened to something we didn't understand at all. after the friendly guide from the English group agreed to let us join her group, the person in question still insisted that we must stay in her group. she was terribly unpleasant and unkind and annoying. it is completely unclear to me why and what is the point of it, but the experience we had was very miserable. another thing is that until 1.may. over half of the castle is closed. including the most important part that remained closed to visitors when we were there. the ticket price was not adjusted for that, but we paid the full price as if we had seen everything, which I personally think is wrong. I wouldn't go back again

Absolutely GORGEOUS CASTLE! There are several tours for visiting different parts of the castle, tours are available in both Czech and English. Drinks and snacks are available there in the castle. You cannot do self guiding tours, which I don't blame them for, and it's quite nice!
