A must visit place if you enjoy seafood! Extremely affordable and great variety. Upon entering, the waiter will bring you to an area where there's a massive menu on the wall. You can then choose which dish you'll like and choose the seafood you wish to have that dish with. The best part is, you get to choose how many grams of each dish you like and the prices per kilo are already stated there so you don't have to worry about being ripped off. Once you've finished ordering, they'll bring you to your seats and you can wait for your delicious meal. I don't recommend getting coconut as it isn't served cold and was not sweet. Their ice lemon tea was great and refreshing though! We were really surprise when we ordered the salted egg crab and one crab (500g), only cost $15! One downside was, the lala was disappointing. The shell was huge but the meat was tiny. After finishing the entire dish, we felt like we barely ate any lala. The flesh was very underwhelming. We also tried the cereal prawn but we tried mantis prawn. Not our type of prawn so will stick to regular prawn in the future. Will definitely come back in the future!

Affordable seafood, and quality of food was fresh. Placed our orders by heading to the wet area where the seafood was and the staff can advise which items were in season and not in season. Prices were also displayed per 100g for your consideration.

It's a rustic restaurant build over a the water with a very nice kampong feel. It event has a stage, and allow the customers to sing karaoke during dinner. Food is nice (maybe I am spoilt with too many good food, so I give it only 3 stars), considering I am here on a company event with over 200 people, the service is fast and the food is nicely cook. Highly recommend

For affordable and pricing of fresh live seafood, you won't go wrong at Golden Prawn. Staff are efficient and friendly. We ordered whole table of dishes and struggled to finish. And the bill was 1,12mil Rp.

Food is nice, served hot. Service is excellent & prompt. Place is clean except there are roaming wild cats. Love the fried fish & prawns & sambal kangkong.

Went here for lunch on a Sunday during a long weekend marking end of Ramadan. Not too crowded. Available sea food were: variety of small and big fishes, prawns, tiger prawn, clams, mussels, sea snails, lobsters, crabs, etc. You can pick fresh seafood and weigh on the spot before they cook in the kitchen. Also got some vegetable dishes. Nice restaurant to try out the local seafood. But the food taste not too special. Price is definitely cheaper compared to those in Singapore.

Very very delicious and worth the money. We reached at about 6pm+ and although there were many people, we didn’t have to wait for seats. The view on the decks is great and you can enjoy the sea breeze. Food came fast and it was all very delicious. We ordered a big crab, prawns, sambal kangkong (huge serving) and tofu for only 629k including taxes. The only downside was the coconut was sour and not chilled.

I had a great experience here having seafood lunch with friends through a packaged tour. Food was tasty, service was good and the atmosphere was overall nice. The toilet could be given more care and the wall fans could have been adjusted better to cover everyone in the table. Hence 4* from me.

Golden Prawn 933 had been one of my favourite seafood restaurant every time I go Batam because of the price and atmosphere. The place is extremely huge that you definitely will find a place to be seated without waiting. I paid around RP 400,000 for a 1 KG Grouper and a 700G Lobster with a few additional dishes for 2, which the portion can be easily consumed for 3. However, the food standards had dropped by a little after COVID which made me award a 4-stars rating for the food itself instead of 5, even though I could say they are extremely fresh. The rest of the aspect such as service, atmosphere and even the value of it are extremely noteworthy.

Food wasnt that fantastic. But the options to choose our own seafood. And different choices of cooking. Spent 200,000rupiah per pax for 5 person. Even had live band and singing, DJ FANDY FTW

Place is quite accessible with huge carpark. You can choose the seafood before making way to sit inside the restaurant. Place is huge and plenty of tables. Seafood varieties are alot but really depends on your budget. I had 1 hongkong style steam red snapper fish, 2 crabs in butter garlic, 4 mantis shrimp using salt and pepper style, 1 ayam goreng small, 1 sambal kang kong medium and 1 hot plate egg tofu medium. On top, has 2 bottles of beer and 2 coconuts. The otak otak need to order from another person. Total cost 1.4million rupiah. To me price is okay as the seafood are live. The only problem is there are alot of mosquitoes which is super annoying.

we were surprised the prawns cost similar price with Kang Kung. We ordered nestum prawn, medium crab and belacan kangkung for 2 people. Cost around RM 100.. worth it

Food was delicious, especially the fish which was very meaty and soft, the lala that we ordered was also very nice and buttery. Cereal prawn was alright.

It needs improvement with the ambiance.. too much carpet floor took away the "homey" feel of the establishment. I didnt like the "gunggung" however all other dishes were good as compared to the price and the standards

The name is Teras cafe, se we sit down in teras, looking pretty and awesome. Staff are very kind and food is very fast. But the food is quite salty. But good for hanging out with friends while drinking beverages. Closing time is quite late so it's good to have late dinner. :)

This place must come. Serves one of e best steaks in town. Ordered e Aus Tenderloin on hot plate. So soft to cut but still retains e beefy texture and bite. The black pepper sauce packs one heck of punch. Dessert is also great. Must order.

It’s cozy place. I ordered Nash goreng with omelet on top. Looks so nice. Taste is also good but not very special. Price is reasonable.

Great variety of plates. Western food, steak and burgers, Japanese curry and teriyaki. Tried as well some of the cakes and drinks. Food taste and quality is very good. Portions could be a little bigger. Service was fast . Price is acceptable except for some of the imported steaks which is quite understandable

Disappointment! I had ordered French onion soup and premium Australian sirloin. The soup that I received was a cream soup that taste like Campbell cream of mushroom soup. Thinking that they made a mistake, I sent it back but was given back the same soup 2 minutes later. The waiter insisted that it was French onion soup as there were three little onion rings inside. After a while I gave up arguing with him. To the owner - please change the description to cream of onion soup so as not to mislead your customers. I requested for the sirloin steak to be medium but what I got was well done. Should I send it back? Maybe, but after the soup episode, do you think I can convince them the steak is well done and not medium? I had read mixed review about this place and only reason I ate here tonight was because I couldn't decide where to eat and decided to give it a try. My mistake! Disappointing dinner and the steak is no better then what the stall at A2 Food Court nearby would serve and they are much cheaper. If you want to eat here, please lower your expectation so as not to be disappointed like me. The attached pictures show an authentic French onion soup and what they serve. Also picture of their premium Australian sirloin and the supposedly medium done steak that I had.

I felt full even without eating rice😂 Well..we ordered grilled salmon🐟, rib eye steak🥩, lamb chop🐑, chicken steak🐓 and grilled saba fish🎣 too. Typically, the taste is okay for me😌. We prefer the blackpepper sauce because it's taste is savory and rich. Lamb chop tastes good for me, it's tender, not so tough to bite👍🏻. But, I think the salmon has lost it's fat to enrich the taste during the grill. Overall it's still okay, thank you!🙌 🙌 🙌

Ordered the Japanese chicken curry, tasted fine. It arrived within a timely manner along with other dishes. The other items such as steak is cooked at medium rare as requested. The servers are well mannered and helpful. The outdoor dining area is quite dim but it makes a romantic atmosphere for some. Lastly, the parking lot is limited and may only fit medium sized vehicles. Overall, the restaurant is well worth it if you’re visiting Batam.

The ambience is really nice and the place is very cosy. I had coffee with cheese cake, but the cheese cake was average. I didn't try the main dish. Breakfast there would be nice given the nice ambience, but unfortunately they seem to open only in the afternoons. The staffs are friendly.

Food was Great! Stepped in for its steak and lambchops. Staffs were very friendly. Price is reasonable but depends on the kind of meat you are ordering. Imported meat cost more of course. Many sauce choices to choose from. Great place to hangout with your loved ones. Relaxing ambience especially after 9pm. Closes at midnight.

Is a hidden gem in the area. You can get beer or any unusual animal meat dish here. By unusual I mean, [ alligator/crocodile, rabbit, deer, snake ] meat. As their shop name implies, their main product is beer. 8% is the highest amount you can get. If you like to hangout with friends and beer, do came here.

Shake with cabe Hijau was gooood. Beef with ginger was overcooked. Frong Mentega was fab. Prok ribs weren't tender enough but ok lah. Stir fried mixed veg was ok as usual.

Sadly no longer serving house brewed beers - only usual ubiquitous Heineken Bintang and a few other canned imports. Lots of menu items unavailable. In the middle of abandoned shop lots. Ok for a sundowner but wouldn’t say it was a destination.

Too bad they stop brewing and selling in house beer. Was here for that exactly, however this is a nice place to hangout, alone or with your gang. Waiter is really friendly. And oh, they serve widerange selections for you carnivores; bat, deer, pork, lamb, crocodile (or aligator -dunno if it matters) beef, toad, snake. And seafoods.

One of the best place for me in batam. Price reasonable, place not noisy, food excellent. Always go when have free time and bring my own fish there ask them cook and also taste excellent.

The beer is fresh and tasty with some fun tabletop serving options. The food is ok but come here for the beer. Great atmosphere and the live music is enjoyable. Staff are helpful but not attentive.

Decided to take a ferry to Batam just to look for this place after reading about it online for its exotic menu available. (Don't worry, there are 'normal' food selections too for everyone) Took a 15mins cab ride from Harbour Bay terminal as I wasnt confident of finding it as it's not along the main road. Started with the green beer. Taste wise, domestic lager. But I am not there for that. It quenches and has the ABV so no complains here. Jumped in with Crocodile, had it goreng (fried) and had the snake meat cooked with black pepper. LOVED both. The black pepper was so aromatic. The fried sliced croc made perfect bar bites with beer. Portion wasnt too big so I could order the Biawak (Monitor Lizard) which is only served Goreng style. It comes on bone so dig in with your hands and dip it in the spicy sweet black sauce. Meat has a natural sweetness to it. This has to be my fav dish of the 3. They have taken bat off the menu so that was a slight disappointment. But hey, still a strong exotic offering. Very friendly female staff who tended to me. Will be back again to try other food!

A popular place for all the travellers from Singapore. We bought once but not big fan..

A local delicacies, off the beaten path which without guidance you will never found. Better get reservations for the cakes, their queue is unbelievable. Reach through calling, and manage to get 1. You will never found this kind of lapis in Singapore. Buy and eat to believe.

The cakes does taste better with abit of age, very well made Kueh Lapis with excellent service! We ordered and have them delivered to our hotel in the morning of our checkout date. Honestly it’s been a great service. Even coming here you will get to sample some before buying. Couple with free iced water to sip while you are here! 10/10 👌🏻

Have tried a number of places and Diana by far the best. The price is a bit higher than other but knowing that they use good butter warrants such price. There are those that are similar priced but are using margarine. Also, Diana’s cakes are fragrant and not overly sweet. If you buy the full size, it will be packed in Tupperware and not carton box. This prevents your cake getting flattened.

They offer only 2 types of cakes - original and prunes. The cakes are freshly made and using good ingredients. Like it especially as it’s not so sweet and smooth. Pricing is reasonable, similar to the popular brands.

Popular homemade layered cakes in Batam. In my opinion, the best one on the island. Comes in the original flavour or the one with prunes on the top.

Cake is nice but never ever pay in other currencies. Tend to overcharge according to their personal exchange rate/s.

Truly the best kueh lapis (layer cake). The prune one is simply awesome - my personal favourite. Full of flavour and moisture without being too oily. A must buy whenever you're in Batam. Congratulations to you all for this wonderful product!

The food here was incredible! My favorites were the fried chicken, fried fish (I think was catfish), and the spinach. They were all fried and cooked perfectly and had tons of flavor. I'm not used to cutting fish off the bone, but here it was pretty easy too. It was nice eating with the rice and some of then sauce. The fruit was kinda boring though.

All the fried food is fresh, tasty and not oily at all. Remember to order the soup and rice cos is very tasty. Clean and nice place to dine.

Nasi Liwet is highly recommended. Very sastifying meal at reasonable price R$614k (abt S$53) for 4 pax.

Lots of varieties of Gurame that you can try, authentic indonesian food. Still good when i dined in last evening.as usual fried Gurame is my fave. Recommended.

Good quality and taste of the food, if you dunno where to get your meal, just come here and it will never fails, my fave is nasi liwet and avocado juice.

Nice place to have grilled or fried fish, enjoy sundanese cuisine. Spicy chilli went well with grilled gurame fish. Nasi liwet was fragrant, rich with abit salty taste of small fish. I enjoyed the grilled chicken and fried squid.

Renowned restaurant for its indonesian cuisine and taste. Really recommend Nasi Liwet (Steam Rice with Fish), grill chicken. For foreigner price will be cheap. For indonesian, price is affordable but i can find cheaper and more delicious one. Haha. But recommend it for family dinner because spacious space and also they have private room up to 20 persons.

The restaurant has many branches in Indonesia. Serves West-Javanese cuisine. Interior was spacious, air conditioned. Service time was fast. Service crews were good. Food turned out to be okay, there's some adjustment to suit local palate. Price was fair (on the higher side), could see tons of tourists during peak period. Walk to Batam Center ferry terminal was about 15mins.

Nasi Leput is delicious. We loved their nasi goreng java too. Sambal is not spicy and it's free flow. Sedap!

Both fried fish and grilled chicken are so yummy !! Their seafood fried rice has very strong wok hey and toufu is very crispy and soft. Restaurant is clean with aircon.

One of the finest dining experiences in Batam! The establishment is impeccably clean and comfortably air-conditioned. The standout dish here is the Gurame Goreng Merah Putih, but everything else on the menu is equally delicious. The Nasi Liwet is particularly aromatic and delightful.

The dishes was ok, not fantastic (3 stars). But the rice dish called Nasi Liwet was really really good (5 stars). Fragrant coconut milk, mix in the fried small anchovies and the rice is so addictive and can be eaten on its own! Staff service was just ok. Atmosphere in restaurant was a little dim, lighting was not sufficient. Private rooms are available. Parking is plentiful outside.

The place is clean and well ventilated. The food here is good. Tofu is soft. The fried fish is good - the meat ain’t dry. Didn’t get to try soto ayam as it is sold out. Chili may be on the spicier side. There is some wait required especially if you visit during peak hours.

The ikan geprek was good, chilli is fresh. Fried squid was so-so, was cold when served. Coconut tasted artificial, maybe really isn’t the fresh one. Overall was okay.

The gurame goreng is the best dish. The soto ayam soup is not bad The vegetable dishes of bittergourd & sambal kangkong is ok but portions are small, so it can be deemed abit pricy The nasi liwet was something we wanted to try. It is ok but nothing great.

Was here for lunch, Ordered Gurame Bakar as main dish, the fish is big enough to be eaten for 2 person, the seasoning is nice and you also get 2 types of sambal. The portion for the rice and vegetables is a bit small though. Also had Es Tempo Doeloe as dessert and it tastes great! You could also share this since it is also big. The place is a bit pricy but the quality speaks for itself.

Many people here when dining hour and caused they forgot our orders. Fried squid and the fish is good.

The food was alright. EXCEPT that I LUV their coconut rice. It's not as different or special as we initially thought. So my review would be to not put high hopes on this place.
