Lots of food, the supermarket is my favourite, nice massage, did my hair too. Head to toe pampering session. And of course your tummy will never growl for food.

It call Nagoya Hill Mall. U can get all ur needs here especially if u wanna buy a souvenir. Everything is in here from supermarket, mobile phone, restaurants, merchandise shop. Only 1 thing, ehailing cant pick up u at the entrance coz they dont allow, only taxi can.
amir mohd — Google review
It's huge but as a visitor the things on offer doesn't seem that interesting. There are plenty of food options however the options itself may seem quite repetitive. There is a huge hardware store and supermarket which can be of interest as they have some items that are cheaper there compared to Singapore.
Andy Ho — Google review
I enjoyed the following things in Nagoya Shopping Mall: 1. Watching movie at Cinema 21 2. Shopping at the huge hypermart in the ground floor. 3. Tasting Layer cakes. 4. Shopping at the multiple stores in the mall. 5. Having Indonesian food at the several restaurants available in the mall. The outside of the mall does not look very pleasant. There are a lot of people sitting and smoking, mostly taxi drivers waiting for a pick-up. The mall has a good rated taxi queue as well. It costed 60,000 idr to be dropped off at Harbour Bay.

One of the biggest mall / shopping plaza in Batam. Lots of nearby hotels. Very popular for tourist shopping destination. You could find gifts, branded shirts, bags and wallets with different grades and prices. This mall is usually very crowded in the weekend.

We went on a 15th so there were many people praying there. There's a eateries next to the carpark, but only 1 stall is vegetarian food. The rest are dessert n drinks stalls or other food stalls. The veg stall was not open on the day we went.
Alice — Google review
Just like other religious places, this temple brings peacefulness in our mind when we are there. This temple will be flooded by people during specific occasions. Not only a place for prayer, it offers much more than that. We can see and learn things. I always feel cozy when being in a religious place like this temple.

Morning walk well spent. Garden and temple is well maintained. There is also a row of stalls where we can order food. The bakuteh has a generous serving of liver, “papas” (coagulated blood) with texture same as soft tofu.

Place for worship. Peaceful and with a small garden with some statues and a koi pond. People are friendly and helpful too.
Terence Teou — Google review
This place of worship has been around for more than 50 years. I will drop by whenever I visit batam. It is located in the Winsor area. I stayed in Swissbel Hotel harbourbay. The taxi ride to this Chinese temple is estimated at +- 20 minutes. Then again, all depends on the road traffic too.
Koh Joo Keng — Google review
Extremely quiet place to put down and leave behind all the stress, troubles, and worries. A relatively good place to visit either for sightseeing or for praying. Not sure if it is due to Friday while we are visiting, the place is empty which makes it easy to pray, meditate, and take photos. However, they are renovating this place at the moment so a number of infrastructure thus limited access to some of the places.
Jarius Draslaric — Google review
One of the most important religious places in Batam, Indonesia to visit. The statues are really awesome. You can see a lot of people coming here to worship the god. You can see three main statues of Buddha inside the temple and the place is very clean. The cleaners clean it often. Also, you can chill near to the pond with a lot of color fishes.
Sinthukan Erampamoorthy — Google review
A peaceful place of worship for Buddhists and Taoists and also who love exploring confucianism principles. There are many statues of figures in Buddhism and Taoism. There are also small ponds with pretty koi fishes and turtles. The principal statues inside the temple are three Buddhas - Buddha of past, present and future. Though some parts of the complex are still under renovation process, it's still worth exploring. The caretaker was telling there would be many rituals especially during CNY, we were not fortunate. Even if it's not a place of your beliefs, I recommend visiting it for the peacefulness and grandness of the compound. It's near Grand Batam Mall.

Its a good place for prayers. In this temple, you can find Tua Pek Kong. Behind this temple, it's near to a buddhist temple. If you are a buddhist/taoist, you can make your prayers in this temple.

This temple is located at Nagoya area and it is worth visiting! It is also popularly known as Tua Pek Kong temple by the locals. It is very huge, and I particularly like the design of the temple, which is very spacious, airy and well-ventilated! It is very beautiful with many lanterns and huge josssticks outside the temple providing a magnificent view! It is also very serene inside the temple. There is a well kept and beautifully landscaped little garden beside the temple.

Good range of local supplies, grocery items, combination of wet and dry market. Available of local delicacies and snacks. Recommend to stopover for getting snacks and dried seafood.
Phoebe nlp — Google review
It’s a local wet market where you can get fresh meats, seafood, vegetables, fruits and many cook food stalls and dried food. There are many other wholesale shops around the market too where you can get their local snacks and other daily stuff like bags, shoes, stationeries and children’s toy to name a few. Do try their Chinese stir fried carrot cake it’s yummy!
Alvin Toh — Google review
Busy fresh local wet market with many hustling vendors. Reasonably priced items and good for a walk around this market.

A lively market bursting with treats. Prices were fair and so much variety
Jasmine Adams — Google review
I think this place not to be missed and a must visit place if you come to Batam! Why, because you can get first hand experience of the local culture and the lifestyle of local peoples. The food stalls by the market sell many delicious and cheap local foods! There are also many shops by the wet market selling many local produce, dried sea produce, crackers and souvenirs. Inside the central of the market is where you get fishes, meat and vegetables. I feel Penuin is the best place to stay because of this market, and there are many good hotels nearby too, like Aston Gideon, Artotel..Grand Batam Mall and A2 food courts also within walking distance from here..Besides, there are many massage shops around here providing authentic and good massage.
Khor Yong Kean — Google review
A place to get all your dried goods and crackers. We went to one of the shops (refer to photo) the staff was a bit pushy to ask us to buy their stuff, but the stuff there was pretty expensive. For example, one packet of lobster cracker is S$5. Some shop selling S$2.50. Overall, prefer to shop at "SNACK HOUSE 98" because there are more varieties to choose from. For both dried goods and crackers, free sample to try. And the staffs there are very friendly, most of them know how to communicate in Hokkien if your Malay words are limited. Anchovy is about 500g S$9 if I remember correctly.
Eunice Gay — Google review
Experience how a real market should be - As local as it gets. The smell, sights and the sound. Hawkers selling their fruits, vegetable, seafood and meat, all in a single stretch under this roof. You can grab your breakfast there before your wet market run. Interesting even if you're not planning to buy anything.

Grand Batam Mall

Grand Batam Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in Batam, offers a dynamic experience featuring department stores, boutiques, casual eateries and a children's arcade. It attracts crowds during weekends with its vast array of options for dining and shopping. Visitors can find TOP 100 - the biggest department store in the mall - among other outlets that offer Japanese, Korean or Indonesian cuisines as well as American food.
One of the biggest mall in Batam. Every weekend, this mall will be crowded by people. As you can see in the pictures, i capture the scene on weekend (December 2019). It is still crowded on my recent visit, hard to to find parking place, you must park it in the rooftop. On this mall, you have the biggest department store which is "TOP 100". You can find anything on this mall, you can have Japan, Korean, Indonesian or maybe American cuisine. It's very neat and cozy here. Every floor have their own scene and views. Go explore yourself at Grand Batam Mall!

One of the better mall for high end product or retail goods. Problem is crossing the road if you coming from nearby hotel. No traffic light in sight. Good thing is the mall security guard is very nice. He help mall customers to cross the road by stopping the vehicles and walking with you. Very nice guy. Hope the mall recognise his efforts.
Dennis Wong — Google review
Visited the mall on 18 Apr 23 @ 1120 hrs. A modern mall with many retail shops, eatery & cafe. If you are a vegetarian lover, there are 2 stalls selling vegetarian food. One at basement selling local food at a very affordable price, did not try the food but look delicious. The other one is at level 4 selling vegetarian Vietnamese cuisine, food is nice and price is very affordable. Recommended.
Kim Siew Ng — Google review
Huge mall with many restaurants and shops. Many people here when we were there. There's few levels and 2 lobbies. Good to shop here. There's also small shops selling kueh lapis in the 1st floor.

Its one of the new mall in Batam. Mall not so big. Not my prefered place to shop even its new. There's not much choices. E-hailing can pick & drop u here.
amir mohd — Google review
It's a classic shopping mall similar to many others that you'll find in Singapore. It's more like a heartland mall, than a luxury mall. Vis a vis comparing this mall to BCS, this has better quality, better brands, and better consistency. Would I spend too much time there, not really. But would I come here, probably for a movie, some good food at a fraction of what you'd pay elsewhere, before heading back home.
Flo Yeow — Google review
Really modern and fancy mall in Batam, they have a lot of renowned brands like Koi, H&M, Genki Sushi, Pizza Hut, etc. Price wise, H&M is the same as Singapore prices, but Koi was half the Singaporean prices! :p They also had a lot of things going on - there were stalls, games, booths and even a Comic-Con fest kinda thing, so a very happening place for sure.
Aashmika Varma — Google review
Really huge mall with tons of food options and occasionally some events on the floors there’s a arcade and a movie theatre as well and other stalls from fashion to daily needs. Would recommend as it’s rather new also.

One of the biggest mall at Batam. Plenty of shops, F&B restaurants here. Also here is TOP100 supermarket which is one of my must go places whenever I come Batam. TOP100 here has one of the biggest supermarket floor area and large variety of products to look for. From groceries, household, toiletries, electrical appliances and even apparels available. Shouldn’t miss this mall when you are at Batam. 🤗👍👍👍

Grand Batam mall is new mall very expensive n I don’t see any difference from other currency like USD or SGD or AED Avoid shopping in this mall unless required for clothings Kids toys are good but expensive n same as other countries Super art is good with wide variety of local stuff must check n can buy There in the basement got lots of food n coffee shops affordable Although discounts available but still did not see worth of spending money in the mall . Just nice to hang around n go for shopping opposite to the mall which u get the solar small small items over there at reasonable price unless you think u want to get only in mall n not on road side shops

Strategically situated in the heart of the city, this shopping mall is a bustling hub of activity. Its allure is further heightened by the presence of a large supermarket, drawing in shoppers seeking convenience and variety. The nice hallway shops display a wide array of products, catering to diverse tastes and preferences. Moreover, the mall is packed with reputable restaurants, offering an impressive selection of culinary delights to satisfy any craving. Additionally, visitors will find a range of medical and dental clinics conveniently located within the premises, ensuring that their healthcare needs are easily met. As a bonus, the mall also features a movie hall, providing entertainment options for shoppers looking to unwind after a day of retail therapy.

New mall in Batam and definitely worth the trip! Nice restaurants and dessert places available. Arcade and train rides to keep the kids entertained! Theres also Bohopanna where you can find really cute kids' clothes!

Very big mall with many shops & stores like Uniqlo, H&M, Skechers, Adidas etc. Things are pricey here. There is a supermarket at the lower ground. There are many restaurants at the highest level. Kek lapis is sold in the mall too.
Junainah M.T. — Google review
The Grand Batam Mall is one of the bigger and more sophisticated malls in Batam. If you're trying to book a grab taxi you will probably have to indicate to the driver the lobby where you will be waiting at. The mall has a fantastic Cineplex which should be a delightful treat for movie buffs on the topmost floor. There is a huge Top 100 supermarket in this mall. It's so big that it takes quite some time to get from one side of the supermarket to the other or even just to find a product. In addition the supermarket was heavily crowded at the time of my visit. Many branded retail stores are located in this mall. There are a few traditional clothing shops however they are a little pricey. The mall is spacious and seems to be popular there are a few spots that are currently vacant but will soon be occupied. The mall was fairly clean and had a fresh smell. The ACE hardware store is quite big and should be amongst the anchor tenants of the mall. The lower floor of the mall has a few property agents trying to sell properties.

Located in Nagoya Hill Mall, Kangen Cafe is a new addition to Batam's dining scene, offering an Asian menu concept. The cafe boasts attentive service and a comfortable, artistic atmosphere. If you're craving affordable dishes, head to the first floor where you'll find other outlets like Malaya and Baresto. The indoor food court FoodPoint is also nearby.
Everytime I go to Indonesia and this time is Batam, I always eat Bakso/meat Ball. Never miss it. I love this food, alot! So I found that at Kangen Cafe Nagoya Hill is serving Bakso so I give it a try. Not bad though for light meal. I ordered Bakso campur mix with wagyu cincang without noodle. The service was good. The staff is helpful and friendly. The price is great specially when you live on abroad. The ambience is good also as that time i was a solo traveler.
Nunki Ang — Google review
So so food at a relatively low price. Soto ayam really couldn’t make it. A standard Malay stall in Sg will do a better job. Nasi goreng kangen was just spicy without any other taste.

The most horrifying thing about this place is the WAITING TIME!!! Made me and my kids wait 60 mins for our food. and we still didnt get 2 dishes after all that waiting. i was waiting for 3 mee goreng for 1hr !!! wanted to cancel order after 40mins, but they assured food will be served in 5mins. bloody lied. Food came after another 15mins but the mos RIDICULOUS thing is, it cam COLD! mee goreng served on hot plate but EVERYTHING was COLD! see my picture.
ruzaini rohaizat — Google review
Acceptable food and price if you are not very fussy. Sometimes they have promotion price on their menu. But try not to visit this place during crowded periods like during weekend nights. The orders will take a long time to come and they forgot about it.
LJ Tan — Google review
Ordered food waited for 1 hour and still not ready. Ordered 3 drinks but came 2 and had to wait another 15 mins for the next one. Ordered the Beef Tendeloin Steak requested for Medium Rare came an hour later and was overcooked. Inedible. Very bad experience. The 1 star was for the staff who adjusted my bill as I had to cancel the rest of my order due to the long waiting time. Worst restaurant in Batam.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! 😡😡🤢🤢😵‍💫🤮🤮 Before my family even ordered, the menu was so smelly and oily. When we called the waitress, they barely acknowledged us. They’d look at us then continue talking among themselves for a while before slowly walking over. All three of the waitresses were busy talking to two male customers the whole time, neglecting the others. We ordered two drinks and four dishes. Only one drink and one bowl came at a reasonable time. The rest took forever and they had forgotten about the other drink. When we asked to cancel the rest and just bill for what was served, she immediately went to serve us another two bowls. The gado gado took 40 mins to arrive and the tofu in it was sour… not to mention it caused me to have a stomach ache after. Do yourself a favour and DO NOT EAT THERE. 🤢

i order indomie with beef, got indomie wth chicken. my son just eat because he is so hungry. i order gado2 and set c ( banana cheese and coffee) its take more than half hour to get it . very slow service. lastly i just told them to take away or cancel it.then the nasi with chicken sambal hijau .. worst. i think it mini chicken - small size . bigger than my hand.

Flavorful and well cooked food. Sambal for the nasi goreng is on the savory side and packs a punch. Ambience is ok, if it's not crowded. But it stops there. The last thing that came for us - are drinks - which came after 40mins (unusual), and after all the food has been finished. Dishes also didn't come with utensils (surprising), so that needed an additional 5-10mins to get a waiter and then wait for them again to come back with utensils. Also, please check that they do not charge you for dishes that you ordered but later wasn't available. That happened to me, but we managed to flag it out. At any usual place, food+utensils+drinks, usually come together. And most places clear entire orders by tables. It's pretty unusual for an order to be divided into several sub-components. The food was the only thing that came relatively quick - showing that food preparation and kitchen work isn't what's causing the service to lapse this badly.
Andrew Lee (Androne) — Google review
Came here on a Saturday night. Walk around the whole floor and was attracted by the wide variety offered by the cafe. Was craving for indomie and glad they have it on the menu. Food taste good though the portion is small, can definitely order sides or extra if you have man in the group. 2 of our orders were not available upon ordering. Minus one star ⭐️ for the baby cockroach 🪳 crawling around.

The worst thing about this place is the waiting time for the food to come. Food was ordered less than 5 minutes after arrival. Approximately after 30 minutes the drinks were served and then the Satay and even that wasn’t very good. We waited over 1.5 hours for the rest of the food and it still didn’t come! The staff weren’t helpful at all. We ended up paying for the drinks and satay and leaving. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant.

Explored it on Google and went. It's name isn't Taj but something else. May be the owner didn't update Google. Contact number given is correct but the boarding says some other name. Food was tasty. Toilet didn't have any light but just a candle. The manager was doing more than managing cashier counter. They catered to my dietary requirements of no eggs,no meat,no onion and garlic. Will visit them and feature them with photographs once I get an offer to try out sponsored food as an influencer. Thank you !!!

The best vegetarian restaurant in Batam and Bintan. Clean and neat. Great service. Telor saos tomat, kangkung terasi and tempe balado are my favs. Their fried rice are great.

Chicken restaurant
Ayam Bakar Taliwang Pelita is a popular spot known for its well-marinated and spicy chicken. The ikan bakar is also noteworthy for its generous portion and good flavor. However, the spiciness can be overwhelming for some, so it's best to be prepared for a fiery kick. Despite the traffic noise in the area, many visitors find this place a favorite dining destination in Batam.
Favourite place to have my meal whenever I’m in Batam. Their chicken well marinated and sambal is spicy ... Delicious meal. A place to visit !

- Chicken is not that tender - ikan bakar quite big portion and the taste is not bad Overall it is okay. It is quite spicy for chicken and the ikan bakar. Make sure you can withstand the spice, else it will be a disaster for you

Yummy food. Ordered ikan taliwang which costs 100,000 IDR - its a big fish. The tauhu tempe is fried in this wonderful batter, loved it. The spice level for the sambal was a bit too much for me, but it was delicious enough for me to eat everything. (I'm not very good with spicy food.)

• Compared with few years ago, now the Sambal not spicy :)

Ayam bakar taliwang and plecing kangkung, very spicy but a good combination for those spicy lovers. Sambal lovers heaven. On the expensive side though, I guess because the amount of sambal they provide for each serving. Nevertheless, recommended for chilli, sambal, and spicy lovers.
