Yūtoku Inari Shrine, a well-known temple built in the 17th century, is an important and famous Shinto shrine located in Saga prefecture. The shrine boasts of beautiful architecture surrounded by lush greenery and offers scenic views. It hosts a popular new year's festival that attracts many tourists every year. Regardless of one's religious affiliation, Yūtoku Inari Shrine is worth visiting to experience the peaceful environment and cultural values it represents.
One of the famous and important Shrines of Saga prefecture. The beautiful architecture with greenery is very beautiful. Visited during my graduation trip and was worth to visit. Also one of the best tourist attraction place for Thailand citizen. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. The environment is also very peaceful which makes us or body and mind calm. Either you are Buddhist or of any other religion you must visit this place once if you live in Saga. Highly recommended for foreigner who lives in Japan so that they can learn the cultural values of Japan.

This was a beautiful shrine to visit. The path going to the shrine is also pretty especially when there are cherry blossoms. The elevator has a 300 yen fee, but the stairs to the main shrine aren't that bad. You can also climb further up to reach the peak to get a good view of the area. I would say this was worth the 1h20m bus ride from Saga.
Audric Sy — Google review
Little bit difficult to visit unless staying nearby, but worth the trek. Beautiful shrines and buildings and a rather atmospheric trail leading up the mountainside. Caution: the descent down the mountain wasn’t the easiest; steps were uneven and sloping. Wear sensible footwear.

Very beautiful place Lots of parking space. A little hiking to the top of the hill was very nice that you can see the mountain view. Traditional Japanese garden was also amazing to see. Very Recommend 😊

One of the nicest shrines in Kyushu that resembles the iconic Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto with its multiple Torii gates. During my stay in Nagasaki I took an hour and half train ride which was followed by a short bus trip to visit the Shrine. It was recommended to me by a friend and I wasn't disappointed with its beauty and charm. It's off the beaten path but I highly recommend you visit to experience one of the less popular tourist Shrines in Japan.

Apparently, it's very busy around new year, but in early July, it was anything but. Very quiet. It's well off the beaten track so you'll need a car to get there or an organised tour. I would find it hard to justify if it wasn't on the top of your list to see in Kyushu.
Chris Hill — Google review
Lots of torii along the way to the top. Also great views up there (no need to pay for the ropeway-just walk.) Beautiful shrine with a way to the tops of the hill next to it - by walking thru a lot of torii along the peacefull and beatiful greenery path. Not so many tourist when we visited, that made out visit super cool!

Beautiful expansive shrine complex, sprawling across the mountain. Quite a hike up to the top, walking through a series of tori gates. Glorious view of the town and valley below from the top. Unique glass bells ringing with the wind.

One of the most beautiful shrines we have visited. Also one of the 3 most famous inari shrines. Loved the atmosphere and the fact that there is very limited number of people! The kois here are massive .... Literately bigger than a small child. I loved the charms we got as they were very unique! To get here most likely you will need to drive. For us, we were able to rent bikes from Hizenhama stations information center. It was about a 15min ride.
Phil L — Google review
Fantastic temple complex with an amazing view if you reach the top, the steps aren't particularly comfortable, but the climb is easy enough. I would say that this is a more enjoyable visit than Fushimi Inari Taisha. If you are staying in Kyushu you should take a trip here.

Yutoku Inari Shrine in Saga, Japan is a remarkable destination that offers a glimpse into the country's rich cultural heritage. This stunning shrine, which is dedicated to Inari, the Shinto god of fertility and prosperity, is famous for its beautiful vermilion torii gates that lead visitors up a hillside to the main shrine. The shrine's architecture is breathtaking, and visitors can explore its many buildings, including the main hall, which dates back to the 17th century. The surrounding gardens are also a must-see, with their carefully manicured landscape and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. In addition to the beautiful scenery, Yutoku Inari Shrine is also known for its traditional festivals, which are held throughout the year and are a vibrant celebration of Japanese culture. Overall, Yutoku Inari Shrine is a truly unique and unforgettable destination that everyone should add to their travel itinerary when visiting Saga. #SagaSpirituality

if first time to go, ok, but no second time, Ninja cosplay has just 1 black style and no mask, simple clothes with a toy knife, i feel this theme park is perfunctory, so few people to go, guess under 20 peoples when we got there.

Cool place to visit, seeing the ninja in person , be inside the ninja house, going through maze, ghost house, and watch the show. Ninja costume is available too if you like. This place could easily spend 1.5 hours if you take the time and going through each area. Kids would love it.

I just decided to visit this on a day off during the week. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I am pretty sure my wife and I were the only ones in the entire park at the time though... Even with a lot of things were closed, we still spent about 3 hours there having fun and looking around. I heard on the speakers there was a "Ninja Show" every day, twice... but we weren't there at the correct time to see it. Do they still do a show if no one is in the park to see it? This place opened back in 1990... and well, it hasn't been maintained much since then. It's a kind of sad. We only paid 1100 yen, so the value seemed totally worth it. If you plan on going to this, go on a weekend. There will be more things open. Even though it's run down, it's still worth checking out for it's Japan Bubble time early 90's theme park charm. My Favorite attraction in the park is..."The Ninja Fun House." (it's not actually called that) Some things in the park obviously require Japanese language to fully get full enjoyment. I want the park theme song CD, but they are sold out forever!

Taineizan Zuikoji

Mentioned on
Buddhist temple
(Translated by Google) It is said that Ruiguang Temple was founded in 1369. In 1368, China had just entered the Ming Dynasty. There is a stone tablet at the entrance of Ruiguang Temple, which reads "No meat or wine is allowed to enter the mountain gate." It seems very strict, but in fact, the entire atmosphere of Ruiguang Temple is peaceful and pleasant. The biggest feature of Ureshino Zuikoji Temple is its "green". There is a large camphor tree in the temple, which is estimated to be 820 years old and is still lush and full of vitality. After walking around, you can stop and recite a section of the "Heart Sutra" as the end of your visit. (Translated by Google) Tainingzan Zuikoji is a temple of the Nanzenji sect of the Rinzai sect, located about 50 meters north of the Ureshino-cho Onsen 1-ku intersection on National Route 34. You can feel the history in the large precincts of approximately 3,000 tsubo. The Ureshino clan founded the main temple in 1369, and it was opened by Zenji Ishimuro Zenku, the chief priest of Kofukuyama Kenchoji Temple in Kamakura, Soshu. After the death of the Ureshino family, it was protected by the Hasuike clan, and for 98 years from 1765 to 1862, it was used as the Ureshino-juku headquarters for magistrates traveling on the Nagasaki Highway. Even now, tiles with the clan's emblem still remain in the Jizo-do hall, which tells the story of those days. As stated on the information board at the entrance, it is a famous temple where, ``Once you enter the tower gate, you will be reminded of the prosperity of bygone days in a temple hall with a thousand-year-old history, surrounded by thick old trees.'' The Nanzenji school of Rinzai sect began when Mukan Fumon founded Nanzenji in 1288 (first year of Shōō) in recognition of his efforts to surrender the demons that haunted the imperial palace of the retired Emperor Kameyama. Nanzen-ji Temple (Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City) is Japan's first Zen temple designated by the Imperial Order, and is a special temple located above Kyoto Gozan and Kamakura Gozan, and has the highest status among all Zen temples in Japan.
