The Ishibashi Cultural Center is a hub of cultural activity, boasting an array of artistic amenities and meticulously maintained outdoor spaces. Visitors can enjoy a variety of experiences, including strolling through the beautiful gardens complete with rose garden and fountain or exploring the impressive children's library. The center also features a music hall and museum for those seeking further cultural enrichment.
(Translated by Google) Visited 2023.07.23 As expected, the roses were finished, but the garden was wonderful. The William Morris exhibition at the museum was interesting, and I bought some souvenirs related to it. There is also an art museum, Hanjiro Sakamoto's former atelier, Shojiro Ishibashi Memorial Hall, etc., and you can eat at a relatively cheap price at Rakusuitei.

Such a wonderful park, free entrance too! Famous for having a lot of flowers. Supposed to be near hydrangeas season now but was there too early and the flowers were not in full bloom yet. There is a rose garden and there are so many varieties of roses. Even though the roses were not in peak bloom, they were still insanely gorgeous! There are other gardens for other plants too, but they were not in season. There is a big lake, with a swan, and many fishes. The area surrounding the lake was wonderful. You can spend hours here just enjoying the peaceful and beautiful park, strolling along the paths and around the lake. The area is quite big.

This quickly became one of my favorite parks in all of Japan. From the message at the entrance, beautiful statues, fountain, seasonal flowers, and museum, this place was so relaxing. Everyone there was very friendly and we even had a kind older woman come up to talk with us, and later she found us and gave us discount tickets to the art museum! There was a small festival, with some food booths and a jewelry stand as well. I don’t know who is in charge of choosing, planting, and arranging the flowers, but they deserve a raise because everything was beautiful. I wish I lived nearby so I could spend more time here and experience the different seasons. The park itself is free, and they have some paid parking available.

Saga Balloon Museum is a one-of-a-kind museum featuring engaging exhibits and interactive experiences for visitors. The museum boasts a hot-air balloon simulator, as well as displays showcasing the evolution of flight from early balloons to space travel. Additionally, there is a gift shop on-site for souvenirs and mementos.
It is a best displayed museum. You can spend your time and walk around here, especially who have children in group don’t miss this place. I recommend!!!! In the museum there is simulation where you can try controlling a balloon. My sons love it so much. Furthermore, your tickets can be exchanged for coins to play Gachapon machine with 1 ticket/coin.

Amazing experience! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming even with the language barrier. And the museum has interactive exhibits, hot air ballon flying simulator, vibrant movies and great photo spots! I would recommend this for anyone in the area.

There is an entry fee of ¥500 which you could purchase at the ticket machine before going into the museum hall. There’s a mini theater that you could watch a video montage of the yearly Saga Ballon Festival before going up to the first floor where you could learn all the history and events that led into the establishment of Saga Ballon Festival. There’s a multilingual digital guide for each sections that requires you to scan the QR code for you to read it. There’s also a mini hot air ballon stimulator that you can try. There’s a guide video and the staff is more than happy to help you out. There’s a souvenir shop that you could buy souvenirs, postcard, sweets, snacks and drinks. It’s an ideal place to visit for a day trip. You could either take the bus or walk for about 10-15 minutes from Saga Station. There’s a lot of shops and interesting places that you could discover when you walk or cycle along the streets going to Museum. It’s also close by to a few historical attractions places that you could easily have access too.

The balloon simulator is the highpoint of this fairly humble museum, which basically traces the history of the annual balloon festival in Saga. There's little English but the staff do their best and there's a good cafe at the end. A brisk 15 minute walk from the station.
David Kellaway — Google review
Brilliant museum with some of the best interactive exhibits I've ever seen. You can try your hand a piloting a balloon, see the history of flight from the first balloons to space ships and have your face superimposed on the side of a balloon in a video screening.
Philip Hall — Google review
A couple of interesting exhibits, including a hot air balloon simulator. Not a great deal of information if you don't speak Japanese, but most things are self-explanatory. The main disappointment was that there isn't a single complete balloon. Yes, that's right. A balloon museum that doesn't have a balloon! I didn't expect to see one fully inflated, but just a deflated one for scale would be nice.
Alan Purvis — Google review
Really nice museum. Very new and interactive. There is a fun game that you can play where you can try to fly a hot balloon.

Saga and Ballon festival go hand in hand, this is the one stop Ballon shop with a nice cafe gift shop and museum! Very cool a must see in saga if that's what your doing there! If not then it's nice to pop past and say hi!
