St Wulfram's Church

Churches & Cathedrals
St Wulfram's Church in Grantham is a remarkable medieval parish church that boasts a magnificent 282-foot spire and a 16th-century library. It has been classified as a minster and is situated in the historic quarter of Grantham. The church features large stained glass windows, impressive memorials, and interesting grave stones in the yard. The shrine of St Wulfram once occupied the crypt before the reformation period.
Beautiful church, large stained glass windows and memorials inside. This is classed as a minster. There are toilets inside and it is in the middle of the historic quarter of Grantham. The grave yard has some rather interesting grave stones. The crypt is where the shrine of St Wulfram once was in pre reformation time. The spire is the third tallest parish one in the UK. There is a central nave, side aisles and a chancel. There is guide books and literature about the church which you can purchase and a donation pot.

Stunning medieval parish church on the outskirts of Grantham town centre, surrounded by some beautiful buildings. We popped in on a Saturday when the coffee shop was open and enjoyed seasonal stollen. It was lovely to see the church being visited by all ages. I was surprised how light it was inside and incredibly welcoming. There is so much to see, including imaginative stone heads, a variety of stained glass installed over 150 year period, a fairy tale castle of a font cover and information about Saint Wulfram. A beautiful and peaceful church.

Paid a visit here to the annual beer fest. Beer fest was great, the signage for it was awesomely produced, very eye catching. Held in one of the most iconic places in Grantham, such an awesome building that has some great history and architecture. Well worth a visit on a weekend to have a look around.

What a wonderful display of flying angels in the nave. Also had an individual tour of the Trigg Library.

Marvellous heritage building with 283ft spire and the oldest public library in England. Formal worship every day. Regular functions and an annual beer festival, organised with local CAMRA branch.

Pleasant and helpful volunteers on hand to help with any questions along with members of St Wulframs clergy. A planned event for . Mental health awareness week. A very peaceful and beautiful place to visit. Event was held at Grantham House Gardens.

This church is definitely one of my favourite buildings ever! It is incredibly grandiose with one of the largest spires on a UK church. The church towers over Grantham in tremendous style, it is a great sight to see. The inside of the church is just as great.

A beautiful building and many diverse events - worth keeping an eye on what's on!
Deborah Wylie — Google review
Absolutely amazing experience. We were fortunate to be visiting when the organist was playing the pipe organ.
Heather Smolas — Google review
Have always wanted to visit this church as I pass it every day on the train. Finally visited and used their cafe and wandered round. It is just stunningly beautiful and clearly well cared for. If you want to while an hour away you'd be stuck for something better to do. A small group of people are clearly shifting the dial with fundraising to preserve this church for the future generations and I applaud them. You can see their efforts in this cared for and beautiful building.
Barry R — Google review
A beautiful church and the interior is amazingly lit, especially the roof. The highlights for me are the font, the modern stained glass windows, the roof over the alter and the shrine of St Wulfram. When we arrived there was a young girl playing the organ which really added to the ambience of the place.

Incredible atmosphere. Excellent carving. Wonderful frescoes. Impressive organ sound. I'm glad we were able to visit this church.

National Trust - Belton Estate

Country house
National Trust Belton House is a grand country house built in the 1860s and filled with opulent decor, fine furnishings and gardens. It has one of the biggest adventure play parks that have ever seen.
Absolutely beautiful place, perfect day out. I visited with a 7y old and 4y old. We visited the cafe, bookstore, orangery and adventure playground. We ended up spending a long time in the playground, it was brilliant and the train was a lovely addition! There are so many beautiful spots to sit and have a picnic or watch the deer. We will definitely be back hopefully many more times to explore some more and actually visit the mansion as we ran out of time.

More like a 4.5 Had a lovely autumnal day out with my sister and her family. The adventure playground area in the woods looked like a lot of fun for the children. My niece was most excited for the little train ride. We spent a good amount of time in that area then we moved on to the house tour. The house was well-preserved and really interesting to explore. The decor and furnishings were amazing to look at. I loved all the details on the ceilings and walls. Also there was a lot of original art pieces. Anybody with an interest in history would love it in there. We visited the gardens and the orangery which were also lovely. We lastly went to the indoor play area which my niece had lots of fun playing in. Us adults relaxed and enjoyed a coffee in the cafe area whilst she played. (They do give you a one hour time limit but it’s more than enough time). Notice for people with prams: most of the place is pram/ wheelchair friendly but the house is not. We had to leave the pushchair outside but my nephew can walk so it was fine. Also in the garden areas you do have to go round to go to the ramps as there are a few steps to get down/ up. It’s also not possible to go into the orangery with a pram.
NeverTrustADuck — Google review
Large country house, home to the Brownlow family over the centuries. Guided wander through the house with a house guide brochure, which you can either put back or purchase if you so wish. Knowledgeable guides in every room will fill you in on the history and quirky facts about the family and the various rooms. Nice Italian garden and orangery plus a large parkland you can explore. There's a nice church but it was out of bounds on the day we were there. Nice cafe with outside seating and old stables converted into seating area.
Steve Mann — Google review
We took in the garden tour when we first arrived, very interesting - more to do with architecture and history of the garden than the horticulture itself. The house was stunning and the guides very informative pointing out various items we may have missed. I loved the Chinese bedroom in particular.
Denise Faulkner — Google review
Overpriced but a nonetheless typically well-oiled NT experience. Far and away the best thing for families is the adventure playground and train in the woods. The house is a bit of a sideshow. £45 for a family of 2 adults and 2 small children isn’t terrible but nonetheless feels steep for what you get. You have to pay extra for the little train, which the kids of course absolutely loved (and there was no way that a ride was not going to happen!) The ice cream shop is also more or less obligatory with kids. It was a bit confusing and slow given how many staff there were. Prices were not clearly labelled. The house itself was ok but seemed a lot smaller on the inside than it looked on the outside. The various Old Master paintings lurking high up in sometimes small, dark rooms were surprising when spotted, and not particularly well presented or explained. There were a few imaginative attempts to make things more fun for children, however. So at least some thought had gone into the house as an experience rather than a showcase. All in all probably worth visiting if you’re in the area with a family and the weather is good. The adventure playground (and train) is a must if you have kids. The house less so. Cheaper than some places but pricey enough in financially terrible times that you might wonder why you don’t just go the seaside or go for a walk in the countryside for free.

This pace is amazing! We took our 12 Yr old. There's a mini train ride. Acres of climbing apparatus and park equipment. Climbing trees, woodland walks, art, sculptures, acres of beautiful gardens ♥️ Superbly maintained grasslands for picnics, cafes, and coffee huts. Superbly maintained toilets everywhere. A huge conservatory with amazing planting, A gift shop. You need a full day to see everywhere, and of course the house, we're going again next week😂😍

Our first visit to the National Trust's Belton House. Undoubtedly a stunning place with gorgeous grounds. Very helpful staff. We had a tour around the house with fabulous guides and the conservators were on hand to explain the painstaking work they are doing. This was exceptionally interesting, particularly the lady who explained about how the books are preserved. It's great for families, too and there's a lovely bookshop, gift shop and cafe on site.

First time visit today. The house is really interesting. Volunteers are able to provide valuable extra information. The gardens are really lovely (cut short by heavy rain☔ The cafe is filled with usual snacks, sandwiches and hot and cold drinks. The seating area in the cafe is really good, using the stables for seating areas

We went to a Christmas event at Belton house which was in the evening. In the daytime we went around the house and it was really nice and had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. One room in particular had cosy sofas and chairs and Christmas reading books for children so their parents could sit and read to them. In the evening Belton had lots of Christmas lights..see the photos.

Lovely place to visit. Grounds are great to walk around with a fabulous children's play area. Really nice cafes at Belton serving great food and drinks. Large new car park with plenty of parking.

We have only just joined the National Trust, why have we not done it years ago. Its the bargain of the century access to hundreds of unbelievable amazing places like Belton house. The house was incredible, I was mesmerised by the quality of the building its architecture and furniture. The staff and volunteers were beyond friendly. If this is the measure of visits to come I just cant wait to get out there and soak it all in. If your not a member, sign up you wont regret is all I can say.

Beautiful place with a fantastic open air park for the kids. And an awsome train which is affordable for everyone. The house is beautiful inside and out. The adjacent gardens wood and lake make fantastic walks. Would recommend for anyone plenty to do and run off some steam. And lots of beautiful areas to explore
Simon Smith — Google review
A place you can spend a day exploring. The cafe is excellent, with a nice selection of food and drink. Plenty of toilets. Shop with plants and a normal selection of gifts. The gardens are incredible, full of colour even on a dull day. The park land is extensive with sheep and deer. You can't walk to the tower now but you can still wonder around the grounds. Play area for the kids
Ashley Lightfoot — Google review
A National Trust property not far from Lincoln. The collections in the house are very interesting, the gardens as well, but in my opinion the best feature of the site is the second hand bookshop. I visited it on an august sunday, and I would advise you to go early, as it was getting crowded and crowded, mostly the car park.
Rom? Jim?nez — Google review
Such a lovely place !! The park is huge I mean absolutely huge, for a family of 5 I feel it’s a bit expensive to get in however if you get the National Trust pass it’s free. The ground are VERY clean and tidy, they are currently updating the car park at the moment. 7/8/23

Lovely Country Estate to visit. House is being restored which is great to see. Large grounds to walk around. Good cafes on site. Be warned, check before you travel as there are some restrictions in place and you may need to book. Car park is being updated in time for Christmas.

Stunning house and beautiful garden. A day trip venue for all ages. Families can have meals at the cafe. Children can play the rope game or at the playground or the mini train. Other options include going for walks at the two lakes. Don't forget about the big bench, greenhouse, maze, and church building.
Gordon Choi — Google review
Came here for an afternoon out with the dog and so glad we did! What a stunning place. The gardens are incredibly maintained and the walks around the lakes are beautiful! The mansion itself is beautiful inside and very well looked after and all the staff and very knowledgeable about the rooms. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a day out. There is plenty to do with the dog. We didn't walk the parkland but the space was vast but deer do roam so keeping them on lead is a must.
Ashley Hall — Google review
Unfortunately the house was closed for refurbishment. However fantastic views, lots of gardens to walk around. The stables tea room had a great selection of sandwiches, hot food and delicious cakes. Not forgetting the luxury hot chocolate, with whipped cream and marshmallows. Definitely makes sense to be a National trust member to get access to locations like these and it supports the work they do. I also use my membership to get free parking in National trust car parks throughout the UK
Ian Pascall — Google review
Had a lovely family day out here in October, it’s a huge estate with plenty of parking and only a few minutes walk to the main entrance. There’s plenty for the kids to do. There’s a huge adventure playground with a ride on train (small fee), a soft play and various spots with activities to do. There’s a few cafe/restaurants on site as well as an cream parlour. The grounds are beautiful too and the kiddies and adults all enjoyed strolling around them. It’s dog friendly too. Would definitely recommend a day out here, we booked in advance but didn’t really need to but i imagine it gets booked up in the warmer months.
Laura Henry — Google review
Yet again the National Trust excels itself, with Belton House being an exceptional example of Restoration architecture. It is surrounded by formal gardens, land including a lake and deer park. To keep you refreshed there are a number of food outlets (one focusing on ice cream). Car parking on site can be challenging in the winter months when it gets a tad muddy. But I believe this is being improved. I've also spotted a large child's play area to keep the youngsters entertained. Plenty of space to find some peace and quiet and enjoy a nice walk.
Jo G — Google review
A great location to visit for any group of people from young couples to old families. The grounds are beautiful, with fields, wooded areas, play parks for kids, and historic buildings to explore. The grounds often host events throughout the year, many of which (such as the Christmas lights display) are well worth attending. If you live nearby, it makes a National Trust membership a worthwhile investment.
Jim — Google review
Gone every year now for 3 years. Such good displays. Set to music. Drinks available half way round (Hot choc to mulled wine) and Santa to talk too, easy walking or mobility scooter. Car park good. Even with all the rain over the month in excess of average, it is still in good condition but a little muddy. Dress accordingly when you go.

It was such a lovely place! I visited Grantham for the very first time. Small quiet city I must say. I decided to visit the park, maybe a wakk to look around. I was impressed by how neat the park was, very well kept. The mapping, the walk ways. There was the beautiful stream with what looked like staircase waterfall thing. The scene and the sound was very relaxing. The children playground was fun too. Lots of play options, I found myself on the “rollercoaster" rolling and laughing like a kid, I visited some of the courts; table tennis, lawn tennis, football pitch, older children playground, bowling side. The outdoor gym was spacious and easy to use. There were so many sit outs and corners for photoshoots, picnics, had me imagining what summer would look like. There was this boat riding place, not sure what it was as we met it closed but it looked interesting. Lots of people were walking there dogs and I paid particular attention to a lady who picked up her dog’s dung as soon as it did the poo, it made me appreciate the neatness culture. Ofcourse there were bins on all corners so it seems pretty easy to keep up with good sanitation. I will definitely visit again if I find myself in Grantham sometime in the future. Please find pictures and video below.

Found this wonderful park today and was really impressed by the beauty, cleanliness and atmosphere. The visitors centre was lovely, the toilets clean and there's pleanty of things to see and do. Would highly recommend. Also great for picnics cooling off in the paddling area or a swim in the stream.

It's a beautiful park for family, friends or for a solo date❤️ the ice cream palour has a great variety of delicious flavors and drinks. There's limited gym equipment for those who want to gym outdoors. The tennis court is big enough for a fun game, but its advisable to bring your own racket. The sound of the small waterfall and leaves brings about a sense of tranquility to relax your mind and body and just breathe 🌬

Grantham council are putting Sleaford to shame. So well kept with lots of things to do, they’ve even got table tennis tables. Grass cut and it generally has a very well kept feel to it. The Guildhall Arts Centre is a small but excellent performing arts theater located in a stunning 19th-century building. The venue always puts on amazing pantomimes, even without the inclusion of famous celebrities or large venues. The Box Office staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating towards visitors' questions and concerns. The exterior of the building is beautifully lit up, making it an impressive sight to behold, especially during special occasions like Armistice Sunday.
Another FANTASTIC panto!!! I have been to different pantos, some with celebrities and in big venues, but I can honestly say that the ones at the Guildhall have always been amazing. Cinderella didn't disappoint. This was my niece and nephew's first panto, and both were awestruck. Additionally, the staff in the Box Office are always so helpful and happy to help with any questions and queries. Thank you! See you all next Christmas.

The Guildhall is a beautiful old building, now used as a theatre and events venue. It has a lovely cafe on the ground floor, perfect for a coffee and a cake or a spot of lunch. The theatre hosts all sorts of productions, such as plays, musical acts, tribute bands and pantomimes. There are also two rooms that can be hired for weddings, celebrations & meetings. See my pictures below. The ballroom is stunning. We used the smaller room (the Newton room) recently for a memorial service and it was perfect. Very friendly, helpfull staff. I highly recommend the Guildhall as a venue.

Family restaurant
The Farrier Brewers Fayre is a laid-back family pub and restaurant chain that serves classic dishes and international favorites. Even without a reservation, the customers were able to enjoy their visit as they were only passing through. Although there was no available table in the restaurant, they were offered seating in the quieter bar area, which suited them well since one of them was deaf.
Relaxed atmosphere, kids play area, great food(incl.amazing Sunday carvery), good prices, and great service. Overall a fantastic afternoon. Thank you 😊
Lynette Lawson — Google review
I find the food at any Brewers Fayre tends to be ok but quite low quality ingredients generally. It's fine but you don't come here for fine dining. What was really good was the service, especially the lady who welcomed and seated us, and the reason we came was that it is so family friendly for our 5 year old who could go and enjoy the soft play safely. All in all a good experience, although if we didn't have young kids with us I probably would go elsewhere.
Tim Aldrich — Google review
Wouldn’t rush back! Staff were terrible especially the chief on the carvery. Needs to work on his people skills! Asked another member on staff for a child’s ice cream but was it possible to have some chocolate sauce on. He said it would have to be charged as an adults, as it had sauce on. £2.49 for a tiny bowl. Would have been better going to an ice cream van.
Vicki Renshaw — Google review
We enjoyed our visit. We had not booked as we were only passing through. They said they did not have a table in the restaurant but we could sit in the bar area. That suited me as I am deaf and the bar area was quieter. Our food was delivered quite quickly and my lasagna was hot and tasty. My husband enjoyed the prawn cocktail. A pleasant visit. Thank you.

Four Adults visited and four meals were partly consumed. Two Carveries on cold plates that rendered both meals cold before half the meal was eaten by which time the two other two menu ordered meals were still to be delivered to the table. A winner winner Chicken dinner should have simply read "just don't have this dinner" - definitely not as advertised! I'm still not sure what the smothered chicken was partly covered in? Very disappointed and would have complained but they wouldn't have heard us over the sound of the vacuum cleaner that was out as soon as tables cleared... With half of their food left on cold plates!
Rae Leeson — Google review
Can’t fault the unlimited breakfast! First time of visiting the farrier and we enjoyed this pub so much, everyone was friendly and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Great little soft play area for kids too.
Cara — Google review
All you can eat breakfast. The only downside....I was able to book a table for 10.15am and on arrival was advised the food stopped being available at 10.30am and the pub was locked at 11am to prepare for the afternoon carvery. Fully understand that but at least notify when booking a table at that time, that time will be restricted. Because of the timings we all felt pressure to down the food and get out. Shame, as food and service really great.

We ordered smothered chicken which was awful and cold. The trio of pies whilst was ok the portion size of the dishes was poor. The food took a long time to come and we were disappointed with the food. Shame because the menu description was good but the dish let it down. There was also no quality check done otherwise I would have said. Also not asked if I had enjoyed my meal when paying
Andrew Sanders — Google review
Quite a good menu selection. I chose the scampi and my mate, the gammon. The scampi was ok but quite over cooked and, again, the chips were average. The gammon was fatty so my mate didn't eat it all. In general, a very average meal.

Went for a birthday meal a few weeks ago. Food great, service brilliant. I delivered a birthday cake earlier in the day and it was bought to the table after the meal. Candles lit, happy birthday sung when bought out. Then they gave my husband a birthday card and lovely box of Foxes biscuits! I was amazed as it's been a long time since I have received that level of service and the above and beyond approach. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend for any event. Prices very good value too. Nothing was too much trouble.

We went to the Farrier Monday 18th March 2024 for a family birthday meal. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the bill was extremely reasonable considering there was 16 of us. I visited Katana, a Japanese restaurant, for the first time and was extremely impressed by the exceptional service and high-quality food. As someone who hadn't dined at a Japanese restaurant before, I opted for their basic set 3 course meal which included a meat dish as the main course. The portions were generous and reasonably priced. The service was efficient and considerate - they served miso soup while we perused the menu and provided hot towels after we finished our mains.
Went for the first time and was blown away by the service and quality of the food. We hadn't been to a Japanese restaurant before so went for the basic set 3 course meal that included one meat dish as the main. So much food and very reasonably priced. Service was very quick and thoughtful - miso soup was served while you look at the menu and hot towels brought after the mains. It was busy with a nice atmosphere, everywhere was lovely and clean. Would definitely recommend. If you have a larger party, they have teppanyaki tables where they will come and cook the food in front of you.

We've come to Katana many times before for their excellent Sushi but tonight we had Teppanyaki - and it was great! Special thanks to our expert chef Gee who was not only a superb chef, but also fantastic with his knives and kept us both amazed and laughing all evening

First time we have been and we were very impressed! Food was great, tepanyaki was really good, our chef named because was very entertaining and made it a special night celebrating our daughters GCSE's.! We will be going again soon!

amazing service and fab food. all of the staff were super attentive and we couldn’t have been more impressed with our chef V - made our night. had the set meal and everything was cooked to perfection. thankyou for having us !

Food was absolutely delicious, went for our 1 year anniversary and booked a teppanyaki table, our chef was very enthusiastic and sushi was deffo my fav, they could however do better with their mocktails ;)

We probably chose the wrong dishes on the menu to be fair. The Tepanyaki choices in hindsight are the 'entry level' items, so it's not that memorable. Service was impeccable and timely, and the food was nicely presented

old review at bottom.. New review... Bang, so nailed it tonight... 13 of us came out for a full frontal cook up.. got light, burns and steak on a juicy bed of all you could ask for tonight... Well done team, I will be back. PS Miso soup needs some attention please.. It's good, not great and I really think you need to be on the main tables to get your monies worth...

WOW 🍜 🍣 🍱 🍤 🇯🇵 What a place! New fave restaurant right here 🥰 I’m so sad it’s not closer to home (we came about 15 miles based on a family recommendation having had a recent 21st birthday there). Beautiful food, fresh, so tasty, light and piping hot! Exceeded all of our expectations. Champagne cocktails, Tokyo coffee and ferrero roche ice cream. Lovely atmosphere, clean, chilled, funky toilets, and the staff were all so attentive on a really busy evening, friendly and welcoming from the second we walked in. Very passionate about the restaurant, their food and your experience. The restaurant was full of large groups and still we felt like we were the only ones there, miso soup to the table as an appetiser whilst we chose our starters, personalised recommendations based on what we had eaten elsewhere before and our mood. Hot towels at the end and just such a lovely feel. This is my perfect restaurant. Thank you all. We dined on a normal table from the normal menu as we have had tepinyaki many times before in the UK and abroad and just wanted our own space and table tonight. First visit and we are already sharing and telling all of our friends and family. We will be back for sure 💓 thank you all @ Katana xxxx

We came to celebrate a special birthday and we were not disappointed. Our chef V, made our night so special. His skills are amazing 👏. The food was so fresh and tasted absolutely awesome. Thankyou for singing 'happy birthday' with us and presenting a lovely surprise at the end of our meal. We definitely will be returning.

We had our sons 15th birthday there this evening, we was very happy with the services and the food, it was lovely and the man who cooked our food in front of us (M) he was amazing they all went the Estes mile for my sons birthday they sang happy birthday twice and gave him a dessert and free drink 🍹 would definitely go back! Lovely people, lovely food and we all enjoyed it! Thank you

What an amazing night out. Having date night with the wife we had the set menu which was 4 courses for £19.00. Well I have to say it was by no means a budget quality meal as everything was so fresh and tasty. This was everything you could ask for in a night out. The staff was so pleasant and polite added to the speed of which everything happened was fantastic but at no point did we feel rushed. Just want to say a huge thank you to all the team from top to bottom.

Shocking, the food was not as advertised, the lobster, soft shell crab and rib eye were all poor substitutes, see photos was told it was a new chef how is that an excuse and why put him on a Saturday night the busiest night. It was very poor all round our 41st wedding anniversary was a bust

The Leaf Grantham offers a fantastic Valentine's Day meal with delicious home-style cuisine from Kerala and Goa. For just £21 per person, diners can enjoy a great value 3-course menu that fills the stomachs with heartfelt cooking. This hidden gem provides a unique dining experience, thanks to Rama boss and Manersha who deliver homely hospitality. The restaurant creates a wonderful atmosphere, ensuring every table is filled on Valentine's night.
Delicious! Wonderful array of choices and fantastic flavours. Such kind hosts also to offer alternatives if certain things were unavailable at the time (and the alternatives were actually the highlight!). Will be going again to try out some of the other gorgeous dishes.

Based on reviews and recommendations had an evening meal of ghee dosa as well as idlis. Dosa is like a lentil and rice pancake- usually with spiced potato filling-I had mine without any filling.Idli is a steamed rice cake while vada is like a fried savoury lentil doughnut. At my request the chef made the dosa really crispy and kindly substituted an idli for a vada. All items were served piping hot, freshly made and authentic. Service and food were excellent and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back to try other dishes. Highly recommend. Have been back and had Chicken Biryani, lemon rice and a vegetable dish. Biryani served with pickles, papad, raita is excellent- and very reasonable at £9.99.

Me and my girlfriend stopped for one night in Grantham to break up a long drive and chosen to eat here as we both love a curry. The food here was exceptional! We've eaten at alot of indian/curry places and even spent a couple months in India myself. All the food was really tasty and truly authentic, portion sizes perfect (for us anyway and we have healthy appetite) which one of the staff helped with and told us that it would be enough for us both rather than happily letting spend more money than we had to. Highly recommended

Fabulous valentines meal. Delicious home cooked style cuisine from kerala goa cuisine. Great value 3 course menu for £21 pp - excellent value filling our tummies from heart ❤️ felt cooking . So different it was a hidden gem. Well done to Rama boss and manersha both delivered homely hospitality from a passion to make everything enjoyable and it was, they really cracked the valentines night, with every table full in restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere. We will return definitely Nikki and Andy thanks to chef and all of you for making it special with a free rose and special effort making attention to detail, a nice touch making you feel relaxed and an easy restaurant to enjoy as a calm atmosphere. Blessings 🙏❤️❤️

Food was very tasty, a great introduction to South Indian cuisine. The atmosphere was warm and well decorated, however there was no music playing, causing some silence when we arrived that was somewhat uncomfortable. Small room, but many tables. One overhead light flickered now and then, and some of the ceiling looked poorly maintained. The staff were friendly, although we didn't receive very much guidance with our food choices, even when asked specifically for help. As a group of 5 we waited 80 minutes for our food. The portions were smaller than expected, also note you have to order rice separately. To our delight the food was enjoyed by all, authentic and delicious. I would recommend you try it once if you're hungry for adventure.

We ordered takeaway from The Leaf Grantham, which came to £53. The Lamb biriyani was vile cooked in old oil, and the lamb was primarily fat and chewy. So-called fried prawns were just boiled in water with lemon juice and onions added. The vegetarian dish was contaminated with meat, so my partner, who is a vegetarian, was unable to eat. On the whole, it was the worst Indian food I ever had. I called the restaurant and offered to return the food, but they refused to refund since we had consumed some of it. The restaurant doesn't get a simple logic that one has to consume to say if the food was good or horrendous.

Had multiple satisfying experiences. We had done both dine-in and take-away experiences in a row. Both the times, the quality of food reamined impeccable. The service and conduct of staff grab par excellent remarks from me and my family. The cuisine was both economical and extreamly delicious. The interiors of the hotel is designed in such way to reflect the cultural legacy of Grantham town. I affirmly reccomend this place for both take-way and dine-in.

Leaf is a wonderful little South Indian restaurant in Grantham. I'd read the good reviews, so decided to give it a try. And I'm so glad I did. I decided to try a typical south Indian dish that you don't get in the typical North Indian (or Nepalese) restaurants. So I went for a Masala Dosa, which is like a giant pancake with potato & veg curry inside. This comes with a vegetable curry sauce and coconut chutney. It was AMAZING. I'm a carnivore, so was a bit hesitant that there wasn't meat involved, but what can I say? It was delicious. Give it a try. To top it off, the service was excellent too.

Avoid this place at all costs. I have eaten all over the world and can honestly say, ive never had such poor food. The food was quite frankly nothing like what was ordered. I have no idea quite how they managed to get the mushrooms so dry, quite an achievement! After tasting everything we decided to leave as neither my wife or I had and confidence in what was slapped on the table, only to be charged for two dishes we never even ordered.

Very quiet on a Thursday night. Lovely service from our host. Decent bottle. Merlot for reasonable price. Never eaten kerala food before. Found it beautifully cooked spices we're spot on. We shared squid to start, delicious. Partner had kerala chicken and I had the goat curry both were tasty. This place is well worth a visit. If I was local thus would be my go to curry house. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Authentic South Indian food that is simple, delicious and extremely cheap for the quality. The decor is a little tired, but don’t worry about that, it’s the food that you come for. A very large party arrived after we’d started and they struggled to deal with the numbers with just one server in duty.

Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed at the entrance of Taj Mahal Buffet Lounge. The staff promptly provided me with information regarding the upcoming dishes and their expected serving time. Throughout my visit, the attentive employees struck a perfect balance between attentiveness and not being overpowering. Additionally, there was a festive atmosphere due to an ongoing birthday celebration within the restaurant. The food itself was absolutely delightful; every dish that made its way onto my plate was consumed with great satisfaction.
Super friendly service, great choice of buffet starters (x8) with all the sauces & poppadoms you could hope for. Same with the Mains & naan bread prepared & cooked to order. Highly recommended, I shall go back again.

I was greeted at the door. Was informed what dishes are coming and what time it will be ready. The staff were attentive but not overpowering, there was a birthday party progress, the food was wonderful I ate all I put on my plate. We enjoyed our meal, I will visit Fusion Buffet again and I will be booking my birthday and wedding anniversary meal there. Fusion continue to keep up the good service. I'm glad my wife booked that Saturday meal. Well done. Thanks to all the staff at Fusion. 👍🏻😋👌😋 O. Lewis

This place is fairly basic. It's a good buffet! Food is really nice, Staff could be more professional. The biggest downfall is the restaurant isn't very decorative. It lacks comfort and the walls are basic. Do I recommend it? Yes! But if you don't want a boring experience go when it's busy 👍

We ordered a take away for a get together for special occasion. The owners were really nice, they customised the menu according to our choice. The food was very tasty, both veg & non-veg(according to Indian taste) & the quantity was more than enough. We would definitely re- order from them in the future. Highly recommend Fusion Buffet.

Fantastic little buffet in the town centre of Grantham staff friendly and welcoming we attended on a Saturday lunchtime very quiet while dining food was lovely, one of the best chicken kormas cooked. This is a must if you like buffet dining very clean sanitized Prior and after we left. Manish one of the waiters very friendly and will help you in choosing your food. To be honest have little plates of food saving room to try it all.

The food was terrible . The staff tried to accommodate us, by bringing out requests. When they brought out the requested food, it was frozen and had no taste. We then tried to explain to the staff what the issue is, they said it wasn’t their fault as they were just trying to get the food out to us, as quick as possible. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Gurkha Square is a restaurant that serves traditional Indian and Nepalese cuisine in an elegant dining area. The service provided is exceptional, with food that is not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting and comfortable. It is highly regarded as a favorite place to enjoy Indian food, not just in Grantham but possibly even throughout Lincolnshire.

This Nepalese and Indian restaurant is a culinary haven that we haven’t been able to stop talking about since we ate there. The menu is a delightful fusion of Nepalese and Indian cuisines, and is a testament to the chef’s skillful mastery of flavors. Each dish showcased the vibrant spices and diverse culinary traditions of both regions. It’s evident that the heart and soul of the kitchen are poured into every dish, creating a dining experience that is truly exceptional. The service here is genuinely warm and personal, reflecting the staff’s dedication to ensuring each guest feels like an honoured visitor. The staff’s knowledge of the menu and their enthusiasm in recommending signature dishes add an extra layer of charm to the dining experience. Standout dishes include the momos, perfectly steamed and bursting with flavourful fillings, as well as the aromatic Jomson that embodies the essence of Nepalese cuisine. The Bhutuwa is a must-try, offering a delightful assortment of flavours that take your taste buds on a journey through the Himalayan foothills. The lamb was so tender, and everything was cooked perfectly. The ambiance is unassuming yet inviting, creating a cozy backdrop for savoring the exceptional cuisine. The restaurant’s modest size adds to its charm, fostering an intimate setting that feels like a well-kept secret among those in the know. With its outstanding food, warm hospitality, and a genuine passion for culinary excellence, it has secured its place as the best dining destination I’ve encountered. If you’re seeking a memorable and truly delectable dining experience, look no further than this hidden culinary treasure. We don’t live in the area, but we are seriously considering the hour drive to visit this restaurant again soon!

Friendly service. Fantastic food. Good sized portions; which were definitely value for money. I was even able to order a Phal curry which wasn't on the current menu. Outstanding!
Daniel Sandford — Google review
Service was good, friendly people but food was not on par. The rice had been pre-cooked & heated up, there were clumps stuck together that were cold (like a packet microwave rice). It did not taste fresh. The Chicken Kalimirch was very unappealing when it arrived. We had one spoon each & left it. The Nepalese Duck Bhutuwa was slightly better. During a visit to the toilets you could see through to the kitchen, there were bulk trays of sauce and food sat out on the side and a lot of cleaning up to do. I wouldn’t not have eaten here had I seen the kitchen prior to ordering.

4.6 rating? I don't think so! DON’T ORDER FROM THEM! Called the store as soon as they open 5pm to be precise. I’ve ordered a meal for myself after a long day of work and travel. Made some especial request to put knife and fork in the bag. Was told delivery would be 45 minutes but ended waited for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Rang a few times to find out where my order was. People here are clueless and procedure or organisation. The food that was delivered were wrong, food are sub par and no knife & fork. No apology or anything. Absolutely appalling!

A recommended restaurant. Our group of 10 was split between 2 seatings. 8/10 throughly enjoyed their meal. The other two were unimpressed. I loved my Nepalese Style curry lamb, which came with rice for £14.99. The service was great, the beer at £4.50 a pint reasonable and overall I would gladly return.

I always get delivery and decided to tip 20% tonight. Ordered from here many many times, and without fail they have always been perfect! My usual is a korma and most places are pretty bland. But honestly it's the most flavourful Korma I've ever had. It's always packed full of meat, whatever curry I chose!! Portions are more than what you get other places as well. And it's well worth the money!!
