Callum/Larissa were extremely attentive for our anniversary meal. I surprised my partner and told Callum he could go all out, we were surprised with balloons, confetti and an anniversary prosecco! The food was absolutely gorgeous and all the staff went the extra mile to make our evening special. We'd 100000% return, thank you for everything ❤️

Went here with friend's for an evening meal. It was fantastic! There was a lovely, friendly atmosphere. The surroundings were cosy and clean. The staff were great. We had a bit of fun with one of the waitresses. And the food was the best we've had in a very long time. Totally delicious! We would definitely recommend Abbeys and we shall definitely be returning!

Hidden gem in Grimsby, recommend to us and very appreciated. Delicious Eggs Royale for brunch, tasty mushroom on toast also. Nice coffee before back into town. Only thing missing is some cake (rather than dessert) but otherwise very pleasant. Staff friendly and helpful. Returned for a delicious lamb shank for lunch, also very tasty.

Great place. Lovely atmosphere and food was great. Me and my girlfriend went two weeks ago. Special mention to Sophie who made us feel so welcome; she was an absolute delight.
Rob Sanders — Google review
We've eaten at Abbys a couple of times now - once for a tapas evening and once for a relaxed breakfast. The food was fantastic on both visits and the service / product knowledge from staff was excellent - couple that with great value and what's not to love? Will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Located on Osborne Street in Grimsby, Sage stands out as a hidden treasure, claiming the position of runner-up. Its delectable food presentation and charmingly intimate ambiance make it an unsurprising choice for many.
The best steak I’ve had in a very long time! Lovely salmon starter, accompanying dauphinois, sauce and stir fried veg delicious. Worth every penny. It was slightly noisy due to a few loud women in another group and unfortunately with no carpets, curtains to dampen the sound it spoilt it a bit.
Andrea Sewell — Google review
Lovely restaurant, we've been as a couple, and for family celebrations, everytime the service is excellent, and the food delicious. Can't fault it 🙂
Maria Graves — Google review
This was the best meal I’ve had in months and months. And spoke personally to Ian annd his staff to express our delight ( there were 3 of us) . Excellent Fillet, Sea Bass and Salmon and Starter of Tandoori chicken skewers. One small note:- Please consider table menus rather than blackboards

Great food, good atmosphere and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the king prawns starter. A must for foodies looking for something different in Grimsby. £88 for 2 x starters, 2 x mains 1 x dessert and a bottle of wine, plus tip. We’ll be back 🤗

We had king prawn cooked in olive oil , then mushroom pasta and grilled sea brass and king prawn then finished off with chocolate concrete with custard . I expected king prawns size is bigger but anyway . Pasta tasted good , Cooked well . Grilled Sea brass not as good as what I’m expected but anyway , overall good dining experience .

An invitingly small but bijou establishment. The maître d never stopped smiling and exuded a sense of pride, and so she should. The menu was small but exciting and the flavours exploded the taste buds. It is an experience I will be keen to repeat when I visit Grimsby again.

We arrived at 7.30pm and we finished eating at 9.50pm, a very very rude waitress came and literally snatched my plate from me, saying that they close at 10pm. All our food was totally overpriced and overcooked, all in all a very disappointing experience.

What a delightful surprise this place turned out to be! We stumbled upon it after our initial restaurant plans fell through, but it ended up being a wonderful experience. Despite not being able to bring our little dog inside, they provided a lovely outdoor seating area with cushions and blankets to keep us comfortable in the breeze. They even thoughtfully brought out a dog bed and water bowl for our pooch. The service was exceptional; they anticipated our needs before we even mentioned them, making us feel truly cared for. As for the food, it was outstanding—delicious and satisfying. Overall, a memorable visit thanks to the impeccable service and delightful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Not kidding when I say this...Best pizza I've ever had in my life! Texture, flavour, ingredients and size were perfect! The garlic pizza bread was served with a lovely garlic butter on the side, which you don't see often. Marie cooks the pizza and is part owner I believe, such a wonderful person with so much passion which clearly translates through the food. Staff seem happy to which is a good sign. The place is beautifully decorated also. I'd recommend this to anyone dinning in or taking out 10/10 5*!!!!! 👏👌💙🙌

Not recommended for an Italian pizza. Better eat at Pizza Express or Domino's. At least you know what you are getting. On the menu and website it had Neapolitan like pizza which got me into thinking but was intriguided by the good reviews. Ordered antipasto Melon with Proscuitto which was good. Would have preferred a more mature and sweet melon. Only issue with that is that it was served on a narrow stone dish and was not given any plate to it. The house rose bottle wine came opened. On the label it was saying that it was Pino Griccio, but it was diluted and tasted as a mixture of grapes of various varieties. Lastly the pizza came which was undercooked but burned on the top. Not sure if it was due to the sourdough or due to high temprature in the wood oven. Toppings were cut into very small pieces not typical of neapolitan pizza (5-10mm in size). Ate it all as it was small and I was very hungry and tired to reorder. Personnel working there seemed not properly trained for an Italian cuisine pizzeria, but they were helpful and well mannered. Place is well decorated but had loud dancing music which was out of place in a dining place. Needs improvement as it has the potential to be an excellent place for business travelers (next to the Holiday Inn Express). Edit 28/04/2024 Dear Simon and Marie, Thank you for the detailed reply, which basically was not a direct answer to my comments, about the pizza been not prepared well, the quality of wine and open bottle served and the loudness of the dance music at your establishment. Yes in regards with the comments of how a pizza should be made are almost correct. The criteria for the yeast for the dough are set by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN) and they can be: • Compressed fresh brewer’s yeast, an organic product with a yellowgrey color, a bland favor and a low acidity level in packs of 25 – 500 grams (Saccharomices cerevisiae) (Ministerial Decree 03/21/1973 and 06/18/1996). • Dry yeast from Saccharomices cerevisiae in the proportion of 1/3 compared to fresh. • Natural “sourdough” Oven temprature should be around 485C when wood is used (almost to the 500C you wrote), but it can be lower too between 430-485C if other types of heating source are used. You did not write about the fermentation cycles and process (how many were and how much time in total) but I hope that you followed the correct one for your place's humidity and temprature. It is good that you wrote about the marinara (tomatoe sauce in plain english), because I forgot to write that the tomatoe sauce was not in accordance with the AVPN criteria as it did not contain any oregano vulgaris (vulgaris=common in english), basil or thin slices of garlic and no virgin olive oil was placed in a spiraling motion. Could you please upload the documents of completion of training of the young girl that was preparing my pizza and the young boy that was baking? To finilize my lengthy reply, I understand why you write in your website and on the menu Neapolitan like pizza. It is because your pizza is not a Verace (True) Pizza Napoletana and you are not registered member of the AVPN. Here in the UK are 31 AVPN registered pizzerias and a couple of them I have been to, make an excellent Verace (True) Pizza Napoletana. You should not pay expensive training for your co-workers there by Mr M. Fuso, if they cannot make the pizza correctly. I hope my lenghty reply to your comments will give you the push to become a registered member and go through the proper course of training for the preparation of a Verace (True) Pizza Napalitana. Thank you for improving your pizza in the future and becoming a registered member of AVPN. Kind regards, Dr Kyamidis

Ate here lunctime on Sunday. We found it has a lovely warm atmosphere, staff were pleasant and helpful and the food was amazing. The pizza was as good as any pizza I've eaten in Italy. Will definitely be coming again.
Jem — Google review
Pizza was amazing, really lovely and didn't need to hang around long for it. Very messy though if you traditionally like eating pizza with your hands.. we got burnt bits literally stuck in our nails. We all said maybe a small bowl of lemon water for when finished would have just been perfect. The surroundings and set up were really lovely.
Danielle Worrall — Google review
Service was great, food was good, however what spoilt it for me was the cold. The restaurant has two areas, the one where we were was so cold they even provided blankets on the chairs. The other side of the place was noticeably different in temperature. This was not expected in an inside restaurant.
Chris Bullen — Google review
Booked in a party of 8, nice cosy restaurant. Had shared antipasti starters and pizzas, good quality food and good service. My only suggestion would be to have a better choice of wines as there is only one red and one white and wasn't that keen on either. A choice of say 3 reds and 3 whites would be good. But top marks for pizzas.
Giovanni Alberici — Google review
Amazing pizza and customer service. It is similar to authentic Italian pizza with its wood fired crust. The servers were all lovely and friendly. We ordered the garlic pizza, mozzarella salad, verdue and bianca.

Such a lovely little gem in the middle of Grimsby! Loved the cosy dining set up, and the service was all very friendly and welcoming. Great to have somewhere different for tasty and affordable vegan options along side the meaty ones. Also biscoff on pizza dough, do I need to say more?

The bacon sandwiches were yummy 😋🤤 and the coffee was spot on, the Barista made them perfectly ❤️ Lovely selection of cakes 🎂 and cookies 🍪 on offer also. Single communal toilet 🚽 with baby change facility. Nice and clean. Certainly worth a visit 🙂 We'll be back the next time we are in town! Thanks for hosting us ❤️🚀

We’ve been to a few of the street food nights now and would highly recommend. Most recently we went to the Moroccan themed night where we were served a tasting menu of plates to share. The courses kept coming, each as fresh and tasty as the last. It’s great to get to try a bit of everything and new dishes I haven’t had before. And even better that the full menu was vegan friendly. Looking forward to the next one! P.s petition to get the baklava on the menu permanently!

Got lost trying to find a care home which we were visiting, decided to go for a coffee and consult Google maps. Pulled up outside the Riverhead and, after having looked at the menu, decided to have lunch as well. The staff obviously enjoy working together, there was a great atmosphere and they were so genuinely friendly. I had a filled bagel and my husband had a sandwich, we were in no rush so decided to stay for another coffee and cake. We sat outside people watching, even though it's right on a busy road, it was really nice. If I ever find myself in Cleethorpes again, I will definitely go back.

Quirky little diner, in a nice way, with great coffee and an interesting, "modern" menu. I had baked sweet potato with cream cheese and thinly sliced bacon on a bed of spinach. Very nice 🙂

A very nice little coffee shop. We went in late afternoon and was just in time to be served and have a seat inside. Coffee was beautiful and I had a scone whilst the Mrs had a piece of flapjack that could quite easily have served us both. Staff were friendly and the place was clean and welcoming. We'll worth another visit.

I am so blessed working so close to this amazing cafe! At Riverhead you always feel welcome and the food is to die for. If you have a sweet tooth there is always delicious desert on the side. Absolutely love everything that’s on their menu, especially when you are mindful of healthy eating. Eat for beauty at Riverhead 💚

Lovely little coffee shop, great atmosphere allowed in with my dog who relaxed comfortably. Had the hot choc and it was luscious, also tried the choc caramel brownie/cake it was very rich in flavour. The staff were very polite aswell. Little wait for my drink but was worth It in the end. Overall if you pass I'd recommend taking a stop.

Not impressed, coffee was served in cold cups and breakfast cold bowls a hot plate would have been better. Should have chosen better for breakfast .
Chris James — Google review
My partner suggested this one for a coffee and brunch one mizzly weekend. Plenty of choice on the menu, and loads of options for those of us who eat breakfast but don't enjoy eggs or avocado- a rarity these days, thanks! I deliberated for ages but decided on a pancake stack with fruit compote and Nutella. I got 5 pancakes, some were a little tough around the edges but otherwise nice. The fruit was tasty and there was a dollop of Nutella that'd feed a family for a week. Even as a seasoned chocoholic, I couldn't finish it. My partner had some soup and a vegan sandwich. He loves a good cheese and carrot sandwich but raved about this one, all I remember is that it had beetroot and mint sauce in it but he seemed very impressed, I think the mint sauce topped it off. Ingenious. Coffee was nice and we had a good morning. Thanks guys.

Fine dining restaurant
Figs is a charming eatery that specializes in serving fresh local meat and seafood. The restaurant boasts a cozy atmosphere with stripped floors, making it an inviting place to dine. In addition to their regular dining services, Figs also offers outside catering options. For those seeking a more upscale dining experience, this boutique restaurant is highly recommended. Guests have praised the afternoon teas as being top-notch and the fish and chips as wonderful. The panna cotta has also been described as amazing.
We went yesterday after having a look at their afternoon tea menu. The afternoon tea was very quirky and nothing traditional. The food was impeccable as you can see from the images. High quality tasty warm food and the dessert section was scrumptious! Would definitely recommend and will be rebooking. 10/10

Really nice place and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food is good, quality and quantity and very nicely presented. My only feedback would be that they need to read the situation and not ask very so often if we need something or push for more. I do understand why but it can leave a bad impression of rushing your costumers. If that's the case, do let people know how long they have at the table before they need to finish their meals.
SEBASTIAN TSITSEOU — Google review
I've been here twice now and I would go again. The food the first time was better but I like to try something different every time. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxed with a warm feeling. The only thing is you seem to have to get the attention of the staff when you need something once you have ordered your food. But overall I would definitely recommend.

I rarely place a review anywhere and my opinion is normally shown by my returning and eating in places as a result of the quality of food and service. We as a family eat here regularly and I felt this evening a review was required after witnessing challenging customers and unwarranted complaints. The level of professionalism from the staff in dealing with this was outstanding. The food was absolutely spectacular as always, the service was unequivocally spot on and we shall be returning for as long as you'll have us!!!! Compliments to all staff and the chef!!!

A great little find amongst alot of very mediocre restaurants and cafe/bars in area. Really lovely welcoming staff. Great selection of good wines. We had a lovely table in the window and the atmosphere was upmarket, comfortable, good quality. The menu was varied enough to suit our party. The fish was cooked really well. I loved the Millionaires salad. Crispy taco filled with fresh seafood, something I had not seen before so keen to try and it was so good we made a return booking to bring out of town friends. Easy parking outside too.

Extremely accommodating ladies who sorted an appropriate accessible table for my Husband &I even though it was a rather busy lunchtime. He chose the haddock & homemade chips and his face when it came out was an absolute picture as the fish was HUGE 😂 It tasted so fresh it must've been swimming in the sea this morning and the light and crispy batter was a delight ! I chose the 3 taco shells and I've honestly never tasted anything so amazing when eating out . The beef was tender and the sticky sauce was just perfect with the pickled salad and chili piece a great addition❤️👍 Only downside ? We are only here for the day 😉but if ever we return to Cleethorpes then here will be our first port of call 😃👍
