Il Pirata Ristorante is a restaurant with beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea and a lounge bar set in a cave. The food is elevated Mediterranean seafood and pasta with epic seafront views, and it's worth it to pay the fabulous view. The cocktails are very good, and the staff are friendly. Melonchello is a must try - it's an ice-cold fruit drink that's delicious!
Waw this view! A little more expensive, but worth it. You pay the fabulous view. Veeery good cocktails. We ordered a bruschetta. Simple but very good. Very friendly staff.

Wonderful restaurant with an amazing vibe, specially since it's isolated right in front of the sea. We had and amazing meal, prices a bit higher than average but totally worth it (several around €17 to 24) Exquisite food and ingredients. They didn't had the ravioli with cheese and 3 tomatoes but suggested to change to the stuffed gnocchi with the same sauce. Couldn't have better. Also ordered the traditional gnocchi and the carpaccio for starters. Lovely evening and next to it, they also have a bar for a later drink.

The stuff was nice and professional. We don’t have such a bad experience as the other guests in the reviews. 😊 Food was delicious but be prepared for a smaller positions. 🤷‍♀️ amazing drinks 🍹 and the view and atmosphere is just perfect 😊🤌🏻 but it’s a bit pricey. We paid 170 euro for two people for lunch. 💰

Beautiful place to grab a few drinks and enjoy the ambiance. The drinks are a bit pricey but overall I would return. Melonchello is a MUST try!!

We loved the setting, we loved the food, we loved the service. We visited on the last night of our honeymoon and it was utter perfection. Recommend calling ahead as we were told we had to wait until 21:30 for a table, however a space came up early so we were seated by around 20:15 instead, thanks to the very kind and friendly staff. We were given a stunning table looking over the sea. Not quite as stunning as the area that is literally at sea level on the sea rocks, but incredible none-the-less. The menu is online and has all of the allergens listed - perfect for us two vegans! Our waitress was also so lovely and accommodating, and they were able to make us two beautiful bowls of pasta, with some vegetables on the side. 5 star service and 5 star food. The only downside was it was unclear when we ordered that the veg to go with our pasta (replacing the cheese) would cost us as two extra sides... And it wasn't cheap as it is. But for the view and the experience, and fairly okay portion sizes, it was 100% worth. Thank you Il Pirata - you stole our hearts!
Alisha C — Google review
Yeah, 5/5 - even without any food service;-) Why? The sea was too rough for our beach club plans (sunbeds had to be removed from the plateau where situated). The manager kindly (without me asking!) offered to refund the EUR90 for the 6 beds. We had some rosè and lemon sorbet and a nice - and exciting…, hour at restaurant level, including a wave that cooled us down… Good experience and nice staff!
Sveinung Skjeggestad — Google review
Honestly, not worth the positive reviews. The view is fantastic. The restaurant is gorgeous. But the food is overpriced and mediocre, especially compared to the others nearby. Our service was slow - not always a problem honestly for us - but the waiter was quite rude. The food was not very tasty and very over-salted. Like I said: Great view, terrible food. I probably wouldn’t eat here again.

The spot makes it worth it! A spot I continue to come to every trip to Amalfi. The food is good and the service is too! We ordered fish, pasta, and veggies. The plates are not huge and the price is pretty expensive but worth it to come once on your trip here!
Sylvia Guso — Google review
Very good service and a diverse menu for any appetite. Lovely setting overlooking the water. They also have a cave bar where you can enjoy cocktails just a few steps above the restaurant.
RH Erie — Google review
Amazing! It is hidden in the end of the beach and has a great view. It’s not cheap, but if you don’t want to eat much, you can spend 30 or 40 euros. The soup with seafood is amazing, and also the plat of the anchovies.
Priscila Yazbek Marques — Google review
Best restaurant I went to in Positano. I loved my time here. The lobster was great and the drinks were amazing. Very generous bartender 😉. Location is not ideal for anyone staying in Positano, but well worth the private limo we took there and back. Originally we had a yacht planned to take us there but keep in mind if you are looking to do the same. If it’s a windy day, the yachts won’t come out to play.
Domenico Di Martino — Google review
You have to come to Il Pirata if doing Amalfi. Really reasonable priced sun loungers on the most PERFECT spot. Ladder down to swim and you can have drinks at your lounger too. We spent every day there! Then went for the Special candle lit dinner in the evening and it was amazing the lobster pasta and incredibly romantic. Then go for a drink in their cave bar which is stunning. Lunch prices also really sensible, it’s just a great atmosphere with sensible prices. Also the owner and his wife are always there which is sweet - he really seemed to love and care for the place. Couldn’t recommend more thank you!
Bea — Google review
Our visit started off rocky. When we arrived they did not have our reservation. Frustrating as it was a special occasion and I booked one of the special tables. I even showed them my confirmation and they were at a loss, but didn’t apologize once. No biggie, we got a nice table anyways. Couldn’t sit at the special tables because of the waves, but they sat us on the patio higher up as they were not busy. Food was good, but I ordered steak medium rare and it came back medium well… server never came to check on us and I wasn’t able to call them over so I couldn’t send it back. Ate it anyways and it was still good due to the amazing red wine sauce, but disappointing nonetheless as this was my honeymoon and I don’t splurge on filet often. We wanted to order another course of pasta, but as we couldn’t get our server anywhere near the table we ended up just getting our dessert when they finally came over to clear our plates (20 minutes after we had finished) then going to the bar. Again, they were not busy so I’m not sure what the reason for this was. Dessert was delicious. Management seemed unconcerned when we spoke to them, again disappointing. The bar was a different story. Excellent service from the bartender and excellent cocktails in a truly unique setting, a can’t miss.
Connor Malone — Google review
Beautiful restaurant tucked into the side of the cliff near Praia beach. The atmosphere is amazing where you can sit right above the water and have some delicious fresh seafood and pasta. We went for lunch and the service was very fast and friendly. Highly recommend the stuffed shrimp tartare gnocchi and the grilled octopus. Also if you like anchovies the appetizer is really delicious. Definitely recommend this place, the parking is about 4€ an hour and if there is room at the valet just do that because it’s the same price and you don’t have to worry about feeding the meter. The staff speak English and have very good recommendations but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
Stegramedia — Google review
Wonderful food, wonderful setting, wonderful service …. What else could I ask for. Perfection.
Greig Mellis — Google review
We really enjoyed this place. I wish we would have reserved the special table if I had known I would. Service was quick and friendly although it states service not included which I thought was interesting and haven’t seen here. The views are amazing. Definitely a trek to get all the way down to the restaurant if you don’t come by boat. Both enjoyed our food and drinks. Berry smoothie was amazing. We stayed and had a drink in the lounge after and it actually ended up turning into a sort of club which was cool!
Nicole Morisco — Google review
What an amazing evening spent at this ristorante. We took a water taxi to location, it was sunset and I highly recommend. We arrived earlier than our reservation to enjoy drinks in the beautiful cab bar and adorable sitting area. The drinks were fab and they surprised us with snacks and complimentary mini croissant appetizers. We booked a special table to be at the waters edge, high key recommend! STUNNING VIEWS. When the sun sets with slight cool breeze, bring a wrap. Our meals were delicious, see photos for what we ordered. The desserts and espresso were just as good. We decided to order a private car for the ride back as it got a little cold for the water taxi. High key recommend Pirates for a fabulous evening!

Seafood restaurant
Trattoria Da Armandino, located in the picturesque fishing village La Praia, offers a memorable dining experience beneath towering cliffs. With a jovial host named Armandino at the helm, this restaurant serves up delectable traditional fish and seafood dishes that are complemented by a selection of local wines.
This place is incredible. Don’t be concerned about the walk down…or think about the walk back up! 😳It’s worth it! The service is perfect, waiters happily speak English and complimented me for my almost nonexistent Italian, but they seemed to appreciate my attempts. Food was perfect in an absolutely gorgeous setting. Prices were standard Italy and very fair for the combination of location, view, service and perfect dishes.
John Adams — Google review
Atmosphere is fastinating and comes with delicious food. Beef steak was super cheap for the portion and quality. Vino del casa is also good.
Batuhan Altinsoy — Google review
Great restaurant for a cosy home style dinner. Mr Armandino is a vet friendly warm person. Staff is alsovery friendly. They suggested a ravioli with spinach and ricotta, made by Mrs Armandino,as i am vegetarian. Absolutely amazing dish it was. My husband had their fish. Fresh and flavorful. The desserts were the best! Don't miss that.

This place was soooo good, I ate here twice during my 4 day stay in praiano. Seafood was fresh and delicious, over quality and flavour was superb, and the house wine - amazing and complimented my dishes perfectly. Both of my meals were at dinner time- I'd recommend going for lunch if possible, so that you can enjoy the view and atmosphere.

This is our favorite place we have dined at in Italy!! Armandino is so cute and nice. It’s his own restaurant and he introduced us to his wife in the back while she was cooking. We loved every dish that we ordered. After our first entrees, we loved it so much that we ordered more. Our group of four ate seven entrees— we couldn’t get enough!! They had a strawberry tart that was delicious. The view is lovely and it was so nice to sit out on the patio and enjoy the ambiance. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Ive just spent the last month around Italy and this is the best meal I’ve had hands down! Everything was so fresh, the service was amazing and very reasonable priced for the Amalfi Coast. Calamari - €17 Gnocchi - €12 Arancini Balls - €8 €50-60 for two people, best food in the area can’t say it enough I highly recommend coming here if you’re staying or visiting Praiano

I had octopus salad as starter and sea beam as main. Best sea beam that I ever tasted! I been asked if I want it to be cooked on grill or local style (in garlic, oil and lemon sauce) I choose local style and it was just perfect! Amazing octopus salad! My wife had lemon risotto for main. It was really tasty and large portion. We loved the place! The prices were really decent for Amalfi Coats. Local house white wine was smooth to drink, we really liked it.
Utku Can Utkan — Google review
Best restaurant im the region! The local red squid is a must and the home made pasta with shrimps is amazing too. Just let the waiters guide you and enjoy the food journey. You won’t regret! All the staff are really kind and funny! Can’t wait to come back here someday!
Rita Alberti — Google review
My husband and I had dinner here our second to last night in Praiano and had a spectacular time! The wait staff was so friendly and helpful, and the owner was super sweet and taught us some Italian while we ordered our food! We got pasta, fried seafood, and caprese, and everything was incredibly fresh. Especially the tomato in the salad, the best we had all trip! We finished with some tiramisu and overall it was one of our favorite meals in Italy! Amazing!
Brynna Kathleen Sweet — Google review
Such a great dining experience! We’ve been back multiple times, and every time the food is good. We had the ravioli, risotto, gnocchi, pork chops and meatballs. Every single thing was delicious. The ricotta in the raviolis was insanely good. They bring out fresh baked bread as well with your meal. The owner is warm and will come chat with you and make recommendations. We loved the family-run feeling, and the restaurant is right on the water in the most beautiful place. Highly recommend!

We stopped here for some cappuccinos and lemon cake. Was really good. Amazing view and unique experience.

Lovely food by the beach. The only plate we didn't like was dessert but the rest was amazing. Would recommend it. 👌
Francisco Lorenzo — Google review
Seafood mixto, gnocchi, lemonchiello spritz, pistachio cheesecake all 12/10. Views are great if you sit on the end, we were in the back and the views are still pretty of the area and we got a nice breeze. Every table was full and while service wasn’t the fastest I ever had, everyone in the restaurant was HUSTLING. We saw them going to all of the tables and they were working hard! Definitely recommend!
Mary Lepa — Google review
Pistachio cheese cake was one of the best i ever had, had it w espresso on the side. Ravioli good, meatballs good, caprese good, octopus good. Potatos needed salt, some things might be undersalted a bit, which is common in italy in some places. Service is slow, and servers tend to be forgetful, ie ordered extra parmesan, it never came, ordered salt and olive oil twice and waited 5-10 mins for it. Would go again, just be ready to lounge for a while

Italian restaurant
Kasai is a vibrant and trendy eatery located in a peaceful area above the main street of Praiano. Its terrace offers stunning views of the coast below. The diverse menu features delicious dishes made from fresh local fish, seafood, and meats, all prepared with an imaginative touch that generally succeeds. Patrons can enjoy unique pasta options like squid with truffles or fishy ragu, as well as lamb, baccala (salt cod), and pizza.
Kasai is a triple threat with tasty food, breathtaking views, and excellent service. Add this to your go-to list! We stayed close by and enjoyed dinner twice here. After going to other restaurants on the coastline, I would have to say this is the best dining experience. Must-try options from the menu are the Fried Margherita Pizza, Mussels, Truffle Pasta, and the Salt Cod Ravioli.
Neila Pierre — Google review
The best meal I’ve had in Italy! Possibly EVER! Thank you so much for the wonderful Food, excellent truffle education and just a wonderful experience. We loved it so much we went twice. No, not the cheapest but if you can a meal here will be so worth every penny.
Claire Rosser — Google review
This place was so good we ate here two nights in a row. Make reservations or get there early. The service was wonderful and the food was incredible. We got the lamb dish, tuna tartare, truffle pasta, red squid pasta, mussel soup and scallops. Highly recommend!
Lindsay Borges — Google review
We fell in love with this place and went 4 times on a week long trip to Praiano. Staff are amazing, all of the pastas were delicious - but the truffle taglioni was exceptional. We loved that the chef would split the pastas in two so we can share without sharing one plate. The bar manager was wonderful and had great wine recommendations. We will be back!
Ally Hill — Google review
One of the best restaurants I’ve been in! I was here for 2 days in a row because it was amazing. All of the dishes are perfect and the Black Truffle pasta is even more than that.
Chen Goldenstein — Google review
We had an excellent dinner here one late July evening, seated outside along the Praiano coastline. The food was delicious, the service was great and welcoming, and the prices were fair! If you're in the Amalfi coast for an extended stay, this would definately be worth checking out one evening. Come around 9, and the place is vibrant and alive!
Rob Brockman — Google review
I very rarely write a review unless I think the restaurant was exceptional. This place is very very special. The location and the view are stunning , the owner and staff are just amazing - attentive , passionate about the food , wine and service , the atmosphere and dinner music are wonderful ……. And then there is the food ….. we came here twice over 5 days (our last night we had booked elsewhere and decided to return - and am so happy we did)…… the food is beyond delicious and the vino is wonderful…… lastly the tiramisu is one of the best I have had in Italy …… this place is a special gem and hopefully remains hidden to the masses …. Oh… and make sure to reserve a table outside at least 1-2 days before you want to go. Thank you to the wonderful staff for two incredible nights of Italian food in a spectacular location (Greg and Caroline) P.S. the lights/grape vine leaves on the Pergola and the wood fire pots in the colder months (we were here in May)…… just make this place even more magical .
Greg Harrison — Google review
Excellent service and view. Food was very nice especially the mussel soup. The black truffle pasta was OK in favour but the homemade pasta was very good. Overall highly recommended
WEI WAY K — Google review
The best dinner that we have ever had in Italy. Lamp chop is so tender, and the steak is awesome as well. And tiramisu is the most delicious that I have ever had in my life. We sat outside the restaurant and there’s heater near every table, they think of every customer very well and nice atmosphere here with wonderful view. The most important thing is their service and attitude is very sweet and nice. Must go restaurant

We had a beautiful dinner here at Kasai. We walked in without a reservation with a desire to sit outside so we decided to wait. I would say we waited for about 45 minutes during which they gave us a complimentary Prosecco while we waited. Once seated, the service was quick and the food was amazing. The seating, the ambiance and the overall experience were all top notch.
Parth Malhotra — Google review
Service is outstanding - we came w/o reservation and asked for a table. They were more than friendly, offering us Prosecco while waiting and we enjoyed the amazing Amalfi Coast view. Burrata is fantastic, so is Tagliolini al Tartufo. Special remark gets the self-made bread and the service team. We can recommend the regional Aglianico Talento. Without any objection you can have a fantastic dinner with a special sea view 🤗
Sandra B — Google review
Amazing place!! Definitely a must try, amazing food, try the spaghetti with truffles, they are excellent. Must try with the limoncello spritz, amazing but not for the weak hearted! The food comes in just the right portions, staff is amazing, the view is unique, great for groups and also for a romantic date!

Best restaurant in Italy. From start to finish. Amazing service and great food and atmosphere. Highly recommended Would definitely come back here
Latoya Zuri — Google review
What a gem!! Service was impeccable from the moment we arrived. Attentive but not crowding and so very Italian. We did not have a reservation so didn’t get a chance to sit in a very lovely outdoor space but indoors was very comfortable and had a great atmosphere. Everything was absolutely delicious. Scallop with celery foot purée was one of the best preparations of scallop I’ve had. The sea bass was succulent and black truffle pasta absolutely divine. Desserts didn’t disappoint either with tiramisu and really exceptional chocolate ganache-like dessert. I mean truly WOW. Didn’t expect to have the experience we had but oh so worth it. Highly recommend paying them a visit when in town.
Alexandra Nova Connor — Google review
Incredible meal. Friend and I had heard great things and booked for dinner. It was our last meal in Priano, so we ordered multiple courses and everything was incredible. Unfortunately, there were no specials that day, since it was the day after a bank holiday, but the regular menu was also incredible. The truffle pasta was some of the best I’ve had in Italy. I also can’t say enough about the eggplant parmigiana. The catch of the day was a delicious grouper and the eggplant pate that came with it was to die for. There was also a very cute restaurant cat, who was friendly with patrons. It is on a busy street, which is the only downside, but the views are incredible. Make a reservation. About an hour into dinner, a huge line formed waiting for tables, and given the quality of the food, it’s clear why.
Moira Moynihan — Google review
My fiancé and I came here for our last night in Italy as it was recommended by our air bnb host. We absolutely loved both of our meals, they were two of our favorite dishes we had the last 11 days. I had the truffle pasta, he had the red squid pasta, and we shared the tuna tartare for an appetizer. I can’t remember what our dessert was called but it was amazing nonetheless! We couldn’t have asked for anything better.
Kasey Williams — Google review
Fantastic restaurant on a quiet street! My wife and I came here in November 2023 to enjoy the Amalfi coast with less traffic + tourists. We wished we had more time here so we could go back to Kasai. Food was upscale without being pretentious, and you could taste the quality of the ingredients and the chefs’ skills in every dish. Highly recommend for all travellers!
Alac Kim — Google review
Upon arrival, there was a short wait, which is always a very good sign! The staff greeted us with a complementary glass of Prosecco while we waited for a table outside. Both outside and inside tables have amazing views. The kitchen is open and you can see the fresh pasta right through the window. We ordered a variety of things from the menu, everything was amazing! I think the fried scallop was my favorite thing. Definitely try to save room for desert if you can.
Stegramedia — Google review
Okay it is a must stop if you are looking for a perfect dinner in the area. Authentic vibe, local atmosphere and very good food. The fish of the day was wonderful, fresh and well cooked . The Tartare was also great. Pasta was also handmade and tasty. So dont think twice! This is a good place to eat and come back again.

Everything we had was absolutely delicious. Some of the best food we've had in Italy. I had the pumpkin soup and cannelone and my husband had the fish tartare and a delicious fish dish with potatoes and asparagus. Tiramisu for dessert. Everything was elevated and fresh tasting. A+

La Gavitella is a luxurious beach club located on the Amalfi Coast, offering four guest rooms converted from old fishermens huts. Accessible via 200 steps or a glass-fronted elevator, it sits just above the blissfully secluded La Gavitella beach. The westward direction of the beach allows for breathtaking sunset views. Visitors can enjoy lunch or dinner at the restaurant and even book sun loungers and umbrellas depending on the time of year.
A friend of mine from NY suggested this place on the Amalfi Coast. We took the restaurant's boat from Positano and the cruise was fantastic and refreshing. In the first place, we stayed at the beach club, we booked the big sunbed, very cosy and the view of Positano is absolutely the best of the coast. We had lunch at the restaurant, and I have to admit that I have eaten the freshest seafood of the whole vacation around Europe! As a starter, the waiter Calimero suggested the little fried calamari and a seafood mix, very delicious! Then, the pasta with shrimp and lemon is simply amazing! The staff at the beach and the restaurant are very accommodating, smiling and professional! We can wait to get back to this place on our next trip!

If you are looking for a beach club that isn’t about loud music & instagramers then you have found the spot. The beach club has a wonderful view of Positano. The beach can be accessed by the side. The beach has a fresh water shower & free beach for the locals too. The restaurant is amazing & the staff / food is amazing. I love the calamari & salads. I’ve been going there for the last 3 years. It’s just beautiful.

We went to this place for our break during a boat tour. Located above a rocky beach close to Positano. Their food was very good but the service was not the fastest. They took their sweet time and confused our friend’s order. Their fried calamari was fresh and yummy. Lemon fusilli with baby shrimp was also delicious. Tubetto e totani was okay. Overall good but it is a bit pricey.

Came here with my boat tour, the good thing is the view of the sea. The service was cold (except for the girls) and the food was plain, with no salt or sauce/flavor. It’s also too expensive and you get small portions. I would recommend going to other places with better food and prices.
Carol Rodriguez — Google review
There are two beaches on the rocks here. The one with the orange umbrellas, usually in photos, you need to call and reserve a spot in advance during high season and it's also a bit fancier with dance music. Just next to it there is a cheaper one which is connected to the lovely restaurant, same access point to the beach and more chill. You can rent a chair and umbrella or walk a bit further and lay your towel down for free. The ceviche was simple and fresh.
Rachel Martin-Austin — Google review
Thank you Aldo!!! Had a great day at the beach club, we got the “Deluxe” package which came with front row seats, a bottle of champagne, two cocktails, mixed fruit, appetizers, and water. It was totally worth it! We also went up to the restaurant to grab a bite when it started to sprinkle out and it was amazing food, service, and view! Service at the beach club was great, Aldo and the other life guard were awesome!
Marlaina Rohmann — Google review
I sadly fell ill on the day of the booking but as we had already paid I inquired for them to rebook. They did this hesitantly. Beware, there are numerous staircases to this, so it’s not the destination for those with bad stamina, moreover the rails along the staircases up have red ants all over. The place itself was not as fancy as I assumed, there appears to be a clubbing-style American beach club next door where you can hear the music, party-goers and drug users. I was surprised to find out that we needed our own towels and the sunbeds weren’t that extravagant. The beach guard charged us for water, until he realised we were paying guests and came to give the money back. The scenery was nice though. The food was nice but nothing extraordinary. Service was okay.

Got to say, for a little beach side restaurant, this place punches above its weight. The food is excellent and probably the best I had in Praiano. Unusual and unexpected little gem that I would highly recommend if you can handle the steps. Staff are really lovely, too. The view is sensational!
Mitch Lambert — Google review
I am surprised this place does not have 5 stars! We were meant to go to One Fire Beach club who charge 100 euro a beach chair. Instead we stumbled upon this location! Their prices were fair at 70 euro for two beach chairs and a 30 euro credit to use at the restaurant. We ordered an Aperol Spritz and Lemon Spritz that were delicious and kept cold in an ice bucket for us. It was simple to get into the water with a beautiful beach along the side where you can walk right in! It was one of our favorite parts of the trip. The attendant, Aldo, was friendly and accommodating. Great service, great drinks, and a beautiful view!
Gabrielle Cucciniello — Google review
As another commenter mentioned, the beach club and restaurant is closed. There are 5 orange chairs out that no one is using but you have to rent with the hotel upstairs or something? Not sure. People still sunbathing just no service. No mention of closing on their website.

The best meal I have had on the Amalfi Coast. We walked & it was definitely a trek, but it was so worth it. The best seafood I’ve ever eaten.

We didn’t get any food but it looked great. The staff was amazing and they put on a big show cutting up a watermelon. There are two entry ways to the water and they are both beautiful. The prices are high but that’s expected for a location like this. My wife and I had an absolute blast!

Ristorante Franchino is an excellent Italian restaurant on the Amalfi Coast with mouth-watering food and breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and there's a wide choice of menu items to choose from, making it perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. Outdoor seating is available in good weather, while indoor seating offers a more romantic setting for those chilly evenings. There's also free wifi and parking nearby.
We loved dinner here! Service and food were very tasty. Very beautiful views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. If I was able to do it again I would book a bit earlier to see the sunset.

The food was fantastic. We took all the recommendations from our server and he didn't miss. The octopus was the best we had ever had, and squid/calamari is one of my favorite appetizers. The lemon risotto with fish was delicious and of course the lemon dessert, but the orange dessert was one of the best we had ever had... and that is beating a lot of chocolate dishes. Highly recommend.

Amazing dinner, service and atmosphere! We loved all 5 dishes we ate: the delicate fried fish, the crunchy eggplant croquette, the calamari Ripieno, the trancio di pesce, the dessert. All very, very good, my husband is a chef on Cape Cod, and this was the best dinner of our vacation. We will be back and will recommend to our friends, everyone always asks us where does a chef eat on his free time! What a wonderful experience! We sat outside and felt like it was a super special place on the water. Not to be missed when coming to Amalfi coast. Super cute. See you soon for another dinner!

Absolutely spectacular. We enjoyed the ambiance, the service, the scenery and mostly the delicious food and drink. I had the grilled octopus appetizer, the catch of the day, and the lemon cake for desert. The four of us were very pleased. I would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat!

The food here was outstanding!! My boyfriend and I got the stuffed squid as an appetizer and I’m picky with fish but it was amazing! It wasn’t chewy and there was no strong fish smell. For dinner we shared the beef fillet and the spaghetti with clams and cherry tomatoes. While I like my meat well done and my boyfriend likes it medium/medium rare, he still enjoyed it and we agreed it was super tender and flavorful. The flavor from the spaghetti with clams was so good as well. We completely cleaned our plates so definitely worth a try!

Definately a must experience if you are staying in near Praiano! The food was elegant and exquisite! The view and ambiance elevated the entire dining experience, and the service was of high calibre. This was one of our better meals in Praiano, and I would highly recommend it!

We traveled here mainly due to the excellent reviews. What a huge mistake. Restaurant as such and the view is excellent. However these exists everywhere on the Amalfi coast. This is a hotel pretending to be a restaurant, the kitchen tries to match the hotel and fails miserably. We cook a lot of food ourselves, risotto, pastas you name it, always made from scratch. Amalfi impressed us a lot, inspired us a lot. But not here. Service: although we booked for 5 and came as 4 they called us lucky because they just received a cancellation. We have empty tables around us the whole time. They forgot the drinks to the kids twice and told us it was on its way, it arrived when food was all consumed. Still they requested 16 EUR Coperto which is essentially an illegal fee. Food: it looks pretty, but 100 ml risotto with 5 minimal shrimps, I’m talking about less then half a normal shrimp, a vague taste of lemon, DOES NOT CUT IT, don’t waste our time. The homemade ravioli tasted too little, but ok, still looked pretty. Absolutely not worth its price. No wine as glasses on the menu, you had to ask for it. We paid 158 EUR for 20 min of poor rude service and well below average taste. The evening before we spent 100 EUR and had one of the top 10 meals of our life and an amazing view, live music, excellent quality from real chefs. Follow my profile and you will find the good places there, will post in a few hours, just had to get this horrible disappointment off my mind.

Food was absolutely amazing!!! From the Stuffed Squid and Eggplant Croquettes, to the Roasted Beef Fillet and Spaghetti with Clams - all were very, very flavorful!! I would not add or take away anything at all. The service/waitress was extremely kind and was patient with us as we decided what to get, and actually recommended the Stuffed Squid appetizer. She was very open and told me and my girlfriend that there were more bugs/mosquitoes than usual and suggested to keep the table light off, then turned it on as it started to clear out. Greatly appreciate her for everything. Topped off the night with the Hazelnut biscuit, raspberry, mascarpone cheese and wild berries dessert (also recommended by our waitress) - can’t describe in words how wonderful this was, wish there were more biscuits though to eat with the sweet flavors. Would highly recommend giving Ristorante Franchino a try if you want better than “just” delicious dishes.

We were so excited to come try this place based on the reviews and the location. We had previously passed it on our way down to the beach and said we would look at the menu/reviews before going. There were a couple bad reviews but mostly good so we figured we would try it. We are not fine dining people but will pay for a meal with a view such as this one. We were so disappointed in our meal. Between portions and taste it just didn’t live up to the price they were charging. €36 for Homemade pasta fettuccine with neapolitan pumpkin, black truffle and salted hazelnuts. €26 for Homemade stuffed pasta with Neapolitan beef sauce, ricotta cheese and basil. Plus a €4 cover charge per person, €4 still water, and €8 Shirley temple, €80 later and we left hungry and disappointed. I was going to order a second course but I didn’t want to be disappointed again. Maybe something was off with the kitchen or maybe the price is worth the view, just don’t expect the best Italian meal here.

Great spot above Marina di Praia. View is spectacular and the food was great as well. We came for lunch but would be a great spot for dinner. Service was good. Food very good, I will let the pictures speak for themselves

The restaurant is located on the balcony floor of a luxury hotel. There is parking near the hotel entrance. Leave a car key for the counter. The service is courteous and professional. The view is breathtaking. The food is varied and quite special compared to the restaurants in the area, the prices accordingly. not cheap Less suitable for children in my opinion because of the prices, more for a romantic evening.

Top notch, friendly, gorgeous, 5 star food.. on the way to the beach. We were able to dine in for lunch without being hotel patrons. We sat outside overlooking the coast. We ordered an incredible creamy warm pepper antipasti and a classic pasta dish I’d never had before with asparagus cream inside each pasta piece. Our waitress was lovely and allowed me to speak and practice Italian with her. A definite stay. The decor inside was bright white - just gorgeous. We also could view the people walking below and the dogs playing near the beach. Lovely!

It’s worth to experience. One of the most popular restaurants of Praiano. Located close to border of Furore. The food is amazing and delicious. The finest prep of Italian cuisine. If you’re after the view, better book during lunch. We went late night and it was pitched dark, i recommend during cold season to invest at least in heater stand. All in all worth the visit. Also excellent service from Thomaso. Thank you.
