Find this gem through a skiing website beginning with H and same name as Klum (won’t let me post otherwise). Wonderful hotel, lovely room (we had a family suite with 2 rooms) and amazingly helpful, friendly and accommodating staff. Cleanliness was first class and the whole feel was calm and relaxed. Would highly recommend. Oh, and the food in the restaurant is delicious as well.

My wife and I particularly enjoyed the hotel's location, which is just a 5-minute walk from the crowded town center. Even the standard rooms were surprisingly spacious, and the renovated bathrooms added a nice touch. Breakfast options were plentiful and self-served. We also recommend trying the hotel's restaurant for dinner. Guests can use the garage to safely lock their bicycles.

This hotel is designed and constructed with extremely nice materials. Quiet rooms and relaxing atmosphere. The owners and staff are super attentive and welcoming. The restaurant is also very good with nice wine selection especially from the area. Highly recommended :)

Good hotel at a quiet location, close to the city centre. Our room felt a bit dated in terms of interior, but everything was clean and there is a lot of space, including a nice balcony. Finally, the service was really good. We had to reschedule some of our travel plans and the lady from the reception was very helpful to find us a room at short notice. Much appreciated!

Absolutely loved Hotel Lipa! The family that runs it take such pride in the hotel and restaurant (and Slovenia) - they are all wonderful! Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Especially loved the shower! The restaurant is the best we went to in Slovenia. Be sure to do a wine tasting too! Highly recommend! Location is also perfect - right in the centre of Kranjska Gora and the start of the Vrsic Pass (a must do!).

Very helpful and friendly staff, delicious food and nice rooms. Unfortunately we had to shorten our stay, but we will definately book again in the future. Last but not least: very beautiful view from the room balcony!

We made reservations well in advance and asked for some vegan options. We were served a four-course meal although we specifically said upon making reservations that we would only like one dish. The vegan portions were very small and the price was completely overblown, not to mention that there was a fly and dirt in the salad. But maybe we would not be that bothered by it if the staff had been at least professional. The two waiters who served our table were very unfriendly and quite rude. We will never return to this place again.

I can very much recommend this restaurant. The service is very good and you feel welcomed. It is the great specialty to cook the meat in big stone grills. This makes it very tender and tasty. The portions are huge. I took half of my pork piece with me. The grilled fish is also very tasty. Only the salad is bland and not well spiced. The prices are ok.

Our visit to the restaurant was truly excellent. We went there for a lunch with colleagues, so I don't have nice pictures, but I must say the food was absolutely amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return to try more dishes from the menu, especially the slow baked ones.

A little bit of warning, the portions are enormous. The food was really delicious and we had leftovers packed with no problem. The staff is lovely, really nice to talk with. From the terrace, there's a pretty view on the mountains. One of the best places I've been to.

Here, the food is a experience! Magical place, nice and funny servise and mainly delicious food, especially from the grill. The plating is exceptional and the size of portions is little bit challenging. This restaurant has 100% my honest recommendation. PS. Doggy friendly.

Great place with traditional Slovenian cuisine, cooked and grilled right there. The portions are very big, if they say something is for 3 pax, it is for 4, always add 1 ;) the food are delicious, good quality, the smokey flavour gives an extra kick to the dishes. Also, the homemade iced tea is one of the best I ever had. The servers speak English well and provide a great, flexible customer service. Prices are okay, good value for money.

Hands down the best restaurant in town. The vice was immaculate and the food just ad good. The chicken trio is to die for, so juicy and tender, the charred flavorful is great and it’s well spiced. The hamburger was amazing, the meat was of great quality and perfectly cooked. The hamburger XXL is huge and super good. The cheesecake was surprisingly great, not overly sweet and slightly citrusy. The staff is awesome, everyone is really nice.

Good place to eat meat or local traditional food the food was very tasty. Good portions sizes . The service was slow, my waiter did not have patient…They took 25 mins to take the payment. I had the money in cash the manager keep saying I need to wait for my waiter. The staff was posing for pictures having a laugh and not cashing the money . Worse part I had some tickets purchased to go to a show in Ljubljana I was running late. Toilets could be more cleaner

Very good, tasty food! Menu has lots of variety, there is something for everyone. The grill with different meat is a great option for group of people. The waiter was super nice and fast. I definitely recommend if you wish to try a good authentic Slovenian food! I love this place ♥️🇸🇮

Amazing as always! Great food, huge portions. The only downside still remains the service in peak times :( but when served, everything is just great. We welcomed honest recommendation from the waiter to reduce amount of food we were about to order. He was right - we didn't even make it to eat all of the 2 portions we ordered at the end.

Holy moly!!!! I was excited as soon as I stepped into this place. Meat is cooked on charcoal and on the grill. Service was to the point and fast. We ordered a mixed platter for a table of 4 to share. Everything tasted great and was succulent. I can’t wait to come back!

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. First of all the portions are really huge, so if it says it's for one it can easily be for two not that hungry people. The meat is grilled right in the restaurant and it has a delicious smoky flavour. I personally recommend the Soč baked dishes (the pork leg or the baked veal) The service is also so friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable for the portions. I really recommend this restaurant.

Great ambience and service, overall pretty good food, enjoyed the tagliatelle, grilled trout. Hamburgers were too salty though. They serve lots of meat too including horse steak/sausage which is less common. Various types of house made liquor too, tried the blueberry liquor and enjoyed it.

A fantastic restaurant at the foot of the skiing slopes in Kransjka Gora. We were 4 adults and 4 children for lunch and we had a great time. This restaurant is great for group lunches or dinners, service is very friendly and menu offers a number of local dishes. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful setting for a lovely meal and drinks. Nestled at the foot of the ski slopes, this charming restaurant with wooden hut style buildings will make you feel very welcome . The food was very good and the Slovenian red wine was just as good as any French red wine at half the price . Great to enjoy with kids.

A casual welcoming place teeming with skiers. The menu is extensive and the food is very good. The waiters give good advice: the portions are generous and a dish for one is more than enough for 2 hungry eaters. We started with an excellent mushroom soup, then had the recommended veal and potatoes, baked under charcoal, with cole slaw salad on the side. An enormous portion which we shared. Followed by an equally big slice of homemade apple strudel. The service was quick and friendly and the prices were very fair. I like that the waiters protected us from ordering too much food.

Very nice and welcoming place, we found a table in the smallest room because they only accept reservations for groups of four people and up. We took the grilled meat for two, very varied and tasty, normal waiting times, good service. The house wine is good, however they have some wines à la carte. Prices perhaps slightly higher than other places in the area, but it is certainly not a big problem given the combination of location, food and service. Grilled meat for two, a bottle of water, half liter of house wine, two grappas, total € 80.

This place is a find. Catering to skiers, you get a warm welcome and very good advice about how to order. The portions are very generous, and one mail usually is more than enough to feed 2 hungry eaters. We had the charcoal baked veal and potatoes, with salad, Ajvar, and fresh onions all included. The veal was melt in your mouth tender, and the potatoes were perfectly cooked. Really delicious. We had mushroom soup for starters, which we strongly recommend. And an enormous Apple strudel with vanilla cream for desert. Fair prices, good service and very good food. Highly recommended.

Extremely unfriendly owner. I parked in front of their restaurant, looking for an entrance. The owner comes by and started questioning me what am I doing there. When I said I was looking for an entrance he started being extremely rude, he just simply thought I wanted to park there for free without planning to visit their restaurant. They might have the best food ever, but restaurants aren't just about food... It's about people! And I would not even consider visiting them ever again

If you want to eat a good schnitzel that’s the place to be. The food is good, but the plates in general look a little bit old fashioned and the prices are too high for this type of food. Also, we had a small dog with us which had to wait in the car (fortunately it wasn’t summer and the temperature allowed it) - not pet friendly - which is ridiculous, since it’s not a michelin star restaurant or a museum...

We ordered takeout for a picnic. The food was good (especially the fried calamari) but they had no takeout dining utensils.

It's one of my favorite restaurants in the world! Yummy food! Awesome service! I always bring visitors there. Awesome Calamari, and Chicken, and Cremeschnitte! But then again, their entire menu is authentic and very tasty.

Wonderful tavern in The Valley. Very friendly and competent staff, excellent food and the Gibanica as dessert is a dream. The fried chicken is also a speciality - rightly so.

We came here for dinner. Friendly owner, food was certainly enough, we had some leftovers, the owner provided us with a box to take it with us.

The hotel is good, the rooms are comfortable, but the downside is that there is no exhaust hood above the food preparation area, when you cook in the rooms the smell of food remains for a long time and this is bad! Wi-Fi also does not work well, it is impossible to work properly!

It's simple: the food is about 50% overpriced. It's not bad, but the quality is nowhere near the asking price, and they know it. 23 euros for a stew with wooden meat and bread that's a bit old. You get a big plate of food, but it's masking the fact that the food is mediocre at best. The staff was pleasant and the service was okay. Three stars is generous, 2.5 would be about right.

I stopped here for lunch. The restaurant is cosy and the personnel is friendly. It was also pretty easy to find park for the car, there is plenty on the streets of the village. I will definitely go back there to eat.

We had a nice dinner here. Lovely place and very good food. We had chicken breast with curry and burger meat with rice and fried potato. Big portion, excellent! Kremsnita (famous from Bled) recommended for desert. Be aware it is big! We usually take one with two people. Honestly best Kremsnita we had.

Nice slovenian food, and the pizza with Tartufata was great. The atmosphere js cozy, and what's really nice is that they have free parking.

The food was awesome. We ordered the grill-plate with fries and it tasted great, the meat was juicy and well flavored. The Wiener schnitzel was really crispy but still tender. The veggie were well spiced.

The staff refuses to serve before the opening hours. Don’t recommend. Says it closes at 22 but they stop serving at 21, so disappointing. When we enter at the restaurant the waitress start looking at the watch. What a bad impression.

Massive disappointment. Was abruptly told "No pizza today" after we entered. Given the price, the quality of the food was below average. Especially since in Kranjska Gora you can get a delicious meal food half the price. For 5,5eur I asked for a beef soup - was told to get it myself at the table at the bar, then I found out it was just the liquid with no beef in it and I could add some carrot and bread balls. It was warm but not hot. I went to get a second plate since the first wasn't even full (I had to bring it to my table myself) and was charged two portions. Unbelievable. The tasting plate for 44eur for two we ordered was okay to eat at best - the meat was dried and the vegetable rice simply weird. The staff didn't actively serve us though we were the only guests in the restaurant. In general, we'd have left at the beginning hadn't it heavily rained outside. Don't recommend this scam place.

Traditional local cousin of average taste but for fair price.

Very simple but good quality of food and professional service, however…..PRICES ARE A TOTAL JOKE. No lunch menu, everything is “a la carte” I paid 25€ for a simple lunch. Small self service salad is €6, self service soup is also €6, they even charge 1€ service fee for tap water. Avoid if possible, avoid Kranjska gora in general, the whole destination is a rip off

Perfect spot for food in Kranjska Gora, very kind staff and service, there is small kids playground oposite to the outdoor seating. We had pizzas, salad and pasta and everything was perfect, really quick service we could not believe how fast the food was prepared I especially suggest to try any pizza. It has nice authentic atmosphere for mountain holiday. Happy with dark beer they are serving even wife had to order one😀

A great restaurant with authentic Slovenian cuisine (and some others of course) and unbelievable views. I'll start with the view, anywere around you, you'll see mountains and hils and enough green to make you smile. The service was excellent, quick and all the people there were friendly. As for the food, we opted out of eating Slovenian cuisine, but the picas and salads were top notch! Also the prices are not that high! A warm recommendation from me and my family to anyone looking a nice place to eat, with nice people and breathtaking views of Slovenian mountains and hills.

So far one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in!! The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. They try their very best to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as they can. The rooms are newly renovated, nicely designed and always clean. Thanks to the comfortable mattress we had a great night sleep! The restaurant is right next to the hotel and they serve the most delicious pizza. Prices are reasonable and the menu is full of options. Overall we had an amazing experience staying at the hotel. Would 100% recommend it to anyone😉

Short of words, what a lovely old world chalet hotel with some amazing team members. Location Location Location and Brilliant Italian and local food within the property. Ms. ROMANA & her team play the perfect kind hosts one would expect to find on a vacation. Already dreaming of returning soon in the near future.

We came for lunch and were not disappointed. Great food and excellent, attentive service. Also the location is very convenient, and the atmosphere is great. Bonus point for kid-friendly coloring activity while waiting for meal.

We only stopped here while driving for lunch, had the best experience. Great food (game goulash was so good), service, vegetarian options and very kids friendly. Little kids play kitchen in the dining room and the best kids toilet I've seen. Wish we could come back.

Incredible. We expected individual pizzas for roughly 9 euro each, and received these large pizzas. Many choices on the menu, and you can adapt them as you wish too, by removing toppings or adding others. Had to take half of each pizza home!

We enjoyed our dinner there we had to wait but the waiting time was ok, the waiters are so busy but still they can put smile on their face, it's holiday so I guess in normal time the service would be great, but in general I recommend it, the atmosphere is very nice.

Yesterday we came here for a pizza. Everything fine so we decided to come back today. Ordered a gin tonic, soup and two main dishes. Everything was served WITHIN 5 MINUTES. My girlfriend was not even finished with her soup and the main dish was already there. The waiter was rushing so hard it became unpleasant. I would have ordered a glass of wine with my main dish and a schnaps to finish, but because everything came so fast, there was no time for this. Very disappointed with the service today.

Our favourite restaurant of our time in Kranjska , so good we went back 3 times. Service was swift and polite, food selection was superb. From local delicacy all the way through to pizza for the kids. The fried calamari was unbelievable, and I’ve had a lot of calamari in my time. The portions are huge so bare that in mind. Kids loved it to.

Great place to take the family, good varied menu . We called past and asked for a table for 6 adults/5 children and they had it ready for us at 18.30 excellent service and food.

One of the best pizzas I've ever had. I recommend San Danielle and Tartufata pizzas

The good things first: The pizzas looked really good. Unfortunately none of us ordered any. The food we had was mediocre at best and lacked any passion. The presentation was loveless and it looked like when I cook on on a weekday evening for myself. That's fine if you don't take money for it and you just cook as a bare necessity but for a restaurant this is simply not enough. To make matters worse this continues with the staff and the interior. The waiter was just nice enough to not be considered unfriendly and everything looked like restaurants looked 20 years ago. It was fine but nothing more.

Again we used only the restaurant, so no info on rooms and general hotel conditions. Staff was super nice, food (pleskavica with kajmak, rostbeef with onion and gnocchi with mushroom) was delicious and portions of the meat were enormous. It's worth adding that this was the only restaurant we found open on Tuesday afternoon. The most amazing thing was that the food was served within 5 minutes from ordering. Seriously, it's not figurative speech. As we were super hungry after the whole day of sightseeing, we appreciated that a lot.

I can not comment on the hotel, but both pizzeria and restaurant are of good quality. Would you choose simple pizza or hearty local dish - no disappointment is expected you. Service is as good as food and even table wine more than just acceptable.

It was a Saturday night so maybe a little busier than normal. There was a queue to be seated that took some time. We were seated and then a long wait before our drinks order was taken. They arrived quickly after. Food arrived quickly once ordered and was okay. My partners pizza was good, mine was okay. Probably just the choice of pizza. It then took a while to clear our table. We asked for the bill and the waiter proceeded to move menus from one side of the outside to another. After 10 minutes we asked again and still no one came with the bill after another 10 minutes. I then went to the bar and asked, they assured someone would be right out. Another 5 minutes passed and still no one. The original waiter appeared and we asked him and he then sorted it quite quickly. Overall an average experience that could have been made better with a little better service. I appreciate Saturdays in particular can be busy and harder for the staff but the whole bill situation let the experience down this time.

The service is extremely bad, although I booked the restaurant a week ago, it took them 40 mins to seat us. No one came to take our orders for an hour. When we ordered, it took them another hour to bring our food. Avoid this restaurant

The food was delicious, but the pizza truly stood out as the best dish. I can also recommend the grill mix plate for 2 and the Nutella pancakes. Despite the restaurant being full when we arrived, we only had to wait 2 minutes for a table. I've seen some reviews mentioning service complaints or wait times being either too short or too long. Given the bustling atmosphere, it's understandable, but our experience didn't reflect any of these issues. So, overall, everything was perfect.

We had lunch and were surprised by the very kind waiters. We were served super fast and the food was delicious! 5stars!
