Well worth a visit. You won’t leave hungry. Great tasting smoked meats from the smoker in the garden. I’m trying three little pigs burger. Good deals through out the week. Today is 20% off the food bill. Fridays from 12-3pm

excellent dining experience, friendly attentive staff, good facilities, the food was amazing, we had the pit sharing platter with turkey, brisket, pork belly and chicken wings. All the food was beautifully cooked including the sides of chips, mac n cheese, coleslaw and smokey beans. Highly recommended from a very picky customer. Parking is limited when it’s busy but theres a car park near the canal and it’s a lovely walk to the pub.
Gemma Varney — Google review
The food was really nice and the staff working there too! We ordered a two meats platter with pulled pork (amaaaazing flavour) and brisket, and a brisket bap. The food was more than enough for two and we also had leftovers. Teagan was our waitress and she was really happy to provide us with takeaway boxes! Wonderful experience!
Chris Koups — Google review
Stopped here just passing through, found the staff very friendly. The food smelt amazing as you entered. They had a good selection of ale's,cider's and lagers. Highly recommend the philly cheese steak. Fresh pizzas coming soon. Would definitely eat here again if I was passing through

Well, do not go if all you want is a light snack! The portions here are huge. Parking is quite limited so you have to park on the road unless you are lucky to get a space in the car park. Food is amazing, something quite unique so it was really enjoyable. We only had mains hoping to have dessert but couldn't eat another thing after the mains. Staff are great, attentive and service as well as food was fast, we were in and out in an hour. Will happily go back

Great atmosphere, beautiful place. Staff were attentive and food was excellent. They have cute outdoor covered seating with heaters and colour changing lights which is lovely too. Reasonably prices for drinks and portions were massive.
Chelsea Brown — Google review
Friendliest restaurant ever, so so welcoming and lovely people. Amazing food and huge portions. Love the decor and outside area is lovely. The boyf was impressed that the heaters all had isolator switches which shows attention to detail! Nothing bad to say whatsoever

Wonderful tasty homemade food, the smoked meat was amazing & all the accompaniments were homemade. Great value on the pit plates. Also cater for gluten free ! Fantastic. Even gluten free brownie !!!!

Love going to the Hickory Inn. The food is great and portions are generous, to say the least. The staff are always cheerful. The only thing I don't like is the sachets of tomato sauce. A bottle would be better.
David Cave — Google review
We travelled over an hour from our holiday resort to visit here and it was worth it!. Everything we tried was absolutely amazing, the meat was so tasty and cooked to perfection. We tried the Cajun meat platter for two and a pit plate for one with pulled pork. Huge portions!. Couldn't recommend this place enough, we would definitely be regulars if we didn't live so far away. Staff were really friendly and the outdoor pods were ideal as we brought our dog. 10/10!!

This place was amazing, best food we've had eating out for a long time. Definately a full belly and content on exit! The best meat we have ever had, everything from the coleslaw to the pork and my fiance couldnt belive all of the meat was soo tender. Lovely mac and cheese as well. Great vibes inside, relaxed and chilled environment. We have just moved locally, will definitely be returning! Couldn't fault anything. P.s Milkshakes are a winner and I dreamt about the coleslaw last night. Shame this place isn't heaving- it should be, my picture doesn't give it justice- the platter was almost the size of the table!!

Starter I had southern Comfort pork burnt ends For my main I had the In The Buff Burger, Buffalo patty's and mozzarella cheese in a pretzel bun it was amazing The Food was outstanding and I will 100% come again. Bar has a awesome wide selection of local brews went for a Utopia IPA and the Mena Dhu stout Brilliant spot for craft beers and out of this world BBQ food.

Visited before Xmas and I've been going on about this place to anyone that listens. The food is flavourful and fresh with nearly all the menu items made from scratch on premises. Their big smokers are going nearly 24/7, smoking meats on premises. We had the sharing platter which was immense, the portions here are substantial and you won't leave hungry. Prices, despite cost of living, are reasonable. Good beer selection and incredibly friendly staff who make you feel welcomed as soon as you step through the door. Bravo!
Chris — Google review
We ordered the 6 meat platter which came with mac and cheese, chips, onion rings, bbq beans and coleslaw. My son had nachos woth pulled pork with Southern fried chicken tenders. We were left sitting waiting for someone to take our order for quite a while, considering we were the only people in the restaurant. The presentation was beautiful but we went on a particularly cold day and it was cold in the restaurant. The 6 meat platter and all the sides are served on or in metal plates/platters. They didn't heat up any of the metal serving dishes before plating up and some of the meats were cold when they arrived at the table. The chips were over done and so extremely crunchy we didnt eat them. We ate what we could but I lost my appetite due to it being cold. I did inform them of this and they apologised. The nachos were bland. Over all a very disappointing meal. When I spoke to the gentleman who took my payment, he asked how the food was and I explained about it arriving with some of the meat already cold. He informed me I should have spoken before paying as I could have received a discount. I told him I'd spoken to the lady already. Sadly poor communication between staff. Staff don't check if everything is OK with the meal. You're only asked when they clear the plates away. He did very kindly offer a refund which I declined as I was walking out. I just wanted to go home and get something decent to eat. I never took any of the leftovers home as I was quite put off by the flavour of it. I will definitely not be returning. It would have been perfect if everything was served hot and on warmed up serving dishes. It could be a really good place, if only you paid attention to details (like warming up serving dishes) and checking on patrons during their meal. After we'd finished eating, it was busier, once again we had to wait for someone to get the bill and for someone to come and take payment.

I stumbled across this place when I first arrived in Tiverton and the owner was so friendly that I made a booking for food the next night. It did not disappoint. The food was absolutely top notch - their chef is extremely talented. Also, the front of house staff here are charming. They genuinely care about their customers and it really shows through. I hope I can return.

Small bistro, good drinks menu. Food menu not as expected but that's my own fault as I didn't realise the online menu was a sample menu. Would have preferred slightly more choice but what I had was delicious and I didn't have to wait very long between courses for meals to arrive.

Lovely little bistrot with an appealing menu, comfortable setting and excellent food. Nice little find which I thoroughly recommend.

Very good all round. Great service and cosy, homely surroundings and the food came out in good time. Good steak, great fish (the best fish seasoning I’ve tasted in a long time and your Hake special should be on the main menu), lovely puddings. I’m really happy with it all. I thought the fries could be a lot better, but that’s all. We’ll be back though! See you soon.

We have in the past had lunch here, but never dinner. Definitely not disappointed - delicious! The food is beautifully cooked and presented and the staff are really friendly. Lovely building and French- style decor really add to the ambience. Frou Frou is an independent restaurant to be treasured and supported. It is a real asset for Tiverton. Thoroughly recommended.

What a gem! I was extremely impressed by their genuine friendly service, I hadn't experienced that level of attentiveness for a long time. The atmosphere made of it a very relaxing experience. I ordered the steak, which was cooked to perfection They have a great selection of desserts and cocktails. I know I will be going there again soon. Highly recommended!

Didn't affect the food quality at all. Amazing food n choices for all. Vegans, vegetarians, meat eaters n gluten free. Cocktails were great too. Dog friendly what more could u ask for. Loved it.

Marvellous experience. The Mrs took me for a birthday meal out - the food was excellent- really impressed. I don't drink and she was heavily pregnant so we had soft drinks which were both excellent and not expensive. Overall, fantastic. Definitely be going again!

Bickleigh Mill is a functioning water mill in Georgia that features a bistro offering simple food and an assorted array of shops. Located nearby, Bickleigh Bridge provides access to the Fishermans Cot pub, offering traditional pub fare amidst a picturesque setting on the river Exe. For those seeking classic pub dishes, both the Butterleigh Inn and Lamb Inn country pubs are just a short drive away.
Stumbled across this place and thought we'd give it a whirl. Lovely setting with the watermill , peacocks and a variety of bridges! Food was pretty good, we had the sharing picnic. Chutney was gorgeous, asked what it was and was told fig and apple. If I'd have been told that before I would have turned my nose up! So it goes to show you... try everything once! 👍 Coffee was okay, nothing special and tap water was cold. Shops were cute, possibly a bit girly... bags, jewellery, teddy's etc... Peacocks sat on the fence as you came out the back entrance. Absolutely gorgeous close up. Will definitely book here for the whole family. Enjoyed it!

We enjoyed an afternoon tea at the café here. Both the food and service were great. Interesting shop for gifts and nic naks. There is an outside area for when we have nice weather.A peacock can often be spotted wandering around the garden.
Sally Kariba — Google review
Very good ploughman's but 1 cherry tomato and 3 very small pieces of bell pepper seemed a bit mean for over £12. But what there was, was very nice. The Mill shop is very well stocked and the Peacock was so cheeky. Beautiful place very well kept.

Lovely coffee and caramel slice, in a beautiful setting. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Visited again today, 17/7/23. I enjoyed a lovely sausage sandwich and coffee, sitting in the garden in the sunshine. A special mention to the waitress who served me, she was new and still learning the job, however she was really polite, welcoming and cheerful. She seems a real asset to the business. Enjoyed a lovely return 112ml motorcycle ride to here. One of my favourites. Very friendly service, lovely latte, and teacake in a lovely setting.

Stopped off here again en-route to our holiday in Devon. Great choice of reasonably priced food. It was busy when we were there but the waiting staff all had smiles on their faces and did a Stirling job. A great place to eat !!
Mark Warner — Google review
Beautiful setting with the mill, really fabulous food...we only needed a quick bite so had the homemade soup (tomato & courgette) and the vegan sausage goulash. We are meat eaters but just fancied something different and were happy we did as both tasted great and very reasonablely priced. Our server, Robin, was so attentive and helpful. The shop next door is glorious, it was lovely to see the peacock strutting around the courtyard, the wishing well needs a bit of attention...we wished for that ;)

We went for my Wife and her Twin Sisters Birthday. With her Daughter and Boyfriend. We all had a Cream Tea ☕. One of the Diners were Celiac so had to be careful what to order. The Table was cleaned down properly to be sure everything was ok. Also the food was gluten free. We really enjoyed what we had.👍👍😁😁. Then followed by Ice Creams 🍦🍨all round well nearly. We also had a good look around in the Shops. And bought some nice things for Home. The Staff and Waitresses were Fantastic and Professional 👍👍😁😁. Look Forward to Calling Again. Thank You Very Much Once Again.😁😁👍👍

The shop is really interesting, it has very good cards, mugs, socks, candles & smellies, bags & other leather products, extremely cute baby clothes and old fashioned toys. Everything is of good quality. The cafe was quaint and the staff friendly and homely, although the cake was dry.

Excellent food and service as usual. Thoroughly recommended and not too expensive for the quality of food we had. Always interesting to look round the rest of what's on in the Mill for sale. In decent weather Nice to sit outside and be entertained by the peacock

Came for Sunday lunch and got a warm welcome from the publican. All the staff were really helpful and pleasant. The meal itself was delicious, and when we explained that my husband follows a gluten free diet, everything from Yorkshire pudding to gravy was GF. Roast potatoes were crisp, and the beef and veg were locally sourced and freshly cooked. Superb. Although we we went for the traditional roast option, I was tempted by other items on the menu. Good atmosphere and reasonable prices. Recommended.

Unplanned visit on the way home from a day of shopping and we weren't disappointed. Gorgeous food, lovely bar staff and great atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.
Jessica West — Google review
Decided to visit here as it was advertised as a dog-friendly pub and we had heard good things. We were welcomed at the door at 12:45pm on a Saturday and asked if there was a table for 4. They were really accommodating and said that they could fit us in if we ordered swiftly - perfect.having said that, we did not feel pressured or rushed and the service was really pleasant and calm. The food was ordered from a really good lunch and kids menu and the food came pretty quickly. I ordered a ploughman's with a certain amount of trepidation as I have had a few disappointing plates recently. I have to say that this was one of the best I have EVER had. A full variety of cheeses, nicely sliced ham, a plentiful amount of bread and butter alongside numerous pickled objects! It was delicious. The kids lasagna and fish finger (long and battered) went down really well and my wife's pub standard: ham egg and chips did the job. Would recommend this place to anyone passing through.

We visited on a Tuesday lunch time and were able to choose anything off the menu even though it was a quiet time. The staff were very friendly and obliging. We all chose a different selection and the food was delicious and plentiful. There is a good selection of beer and wines. The pub itself is a beautiful old coaching house type of place with bags of room and spotlessly clean. It is also dog friendly. We will definitely be revisiting.

What an amazing meal had by all of 4 of us at this restaurant last night. The food is absolutely delicious, the ambience is perfect and the Staff couldn't do any more for us. It's like they're cooking for their own family. They are also very accommodating in any food requirements. Definitely will be returning. I recommend this restaurant 200%. Daddy & Daughter birthday meal. We came in early - it was my daughter's 11th birthday meal and it's her favourite place. The food was superb as it always is. We had spring rolls, summer rolls, vegan curry and soft noodles in soy sauce (an adapted dish from the menu). We had Vietnamese homemade lemonade and ginger tea to drink, and because my partner had to stay at home with the baby, I ordered noodles for her and a pancake roll which I'm assured were delicious! My only slight problem was that it was a little cold in the restaurant when we first went in but it did warm up as more people arrived. Not even really a valid complaint in my opinion! Overall- excellent 👌
