What a brilliant place to go for a meal, be it on a date, with the family or friends.... this place has it all. Oozing class and warm atmosphere, you feel cosy and very well looked after. Very clean, beautiful decor and the smells of all the delicious foods gently floating around makes deciding on a meal very difficult. There is a choice for even the most picky of dinner and the price is exceptional value for money. Parking brilliant also with fantastic wide open welcoming entrance. The foods we ordered where so fresh, full of flavour and just perfect. Definitely recommend and will return.

Large selection and well-priced food. The space is large with many seating and there’s parking attached to the building. Pizza and pasta are overall good, you do end up taking a while to order as the menu is ENDLESS (ie too much to choose from). They also have cocktails and plenty of desserts to choose from.
Nichell — Google review
Good ambience, friendly staff, good portion size. But food didn’t look appetising, and no flavour. Food is tasteless. Mock tails were good :)
Maya Prakash — Google review
Free parking and staff were fast and efficient. The price was pretty good considering and all the food was hot and tasty. Would come back due to value and decent food. Send pretty popular with locals as well which is a good sign and the kitchen is open so you can see they are clean and tidy in there.

My food was deliscious i could not fault it one bit.. party of 14 of us and mostly all empty plates.. people loved the deserts and the atmosphere wasn't bad for a Monday night either, id say its a great spot on a weekend night

A five-star review from Escobar doesn't come easy, but Mr. Macaroni has obviously worked very hard to get this place tip top. The menu is extensive, the prices are reasonable and the staff are great. The food is tasty, and there is plenty of it. Escobar is up in the beautiful country of Scotland on a bit of business. I decided to bring the whole family because it is so lovely. Escobar loves Edinburgh and was busy all day in the city centre. Sadly, we were not able to stay overnight (reason is classified) and found ourselves in Livingstone. Looking around for somewhere suitable, this place stood out. Don't let the fact that it's attached to a Travel lodge put you off, they won't make you stay there ha ha. Try the pizza or the pasta, the are both delicious but just make sure that you are hungry!

This is the third time I’ve been to this Toni macaroni and the third time the restaurant has been absolutely freezing 🥶 The waiters and stuff were absolutely amazing but the Italian host was rude to us on a couple of occasions. Which is usually easy to ignore but when I asked for the baby changing room for my baby daughter he just shrugged his shoulders and said “on other side, middle door”. I had to walk about about asking other people before being told he meant other side of the restaurant near the front doors. There’s far warmer places to go with a much warmer welcome than we received here, just over the road in the shopping mall. Alternatively wear a nice big winter jacket

Tony Macaroni is just brilliant I have never had a bad experience in my meny times visiting. The staff are so inviting and polite. I will always recommend tony macaroni 11/10

If you’re craving for authentic italian, this is your spot. Service was quick and good. Staff were good. Food came fast and fresh. They offer a lot of variety of drink and food selection. Good for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options.

Great friendly welcoming, all explained in detail for first timers. Great food, very tasty and satisfying. Went on Easter Sunday for lunch with my wife & our two teenagers before going to the cinema. Visited every counter, but never got stuffed & bloated, there was a constant flow of freshly prepared food. Great selection, China, India, Japan, Mexico, Uk, Italy & well, exactly a world banquet with a carvery to boot! Happy friendly staff, your plates are immediately cleared between every course/visit. Bottomless soft drinks are a plus. Left Happy & very satisfied. Will definitely visit once a month. Money well spent.

Decent and reasonably-sized local buffet in Livingston. Good selection of Chinese and Indian cuisines, plus desserts. Well-priced and lovely staff.
Nichell — Google review
It was our first time here. The staff were friendly and hard working! The food was decent and they have a good selection but the chicken curry was very dry & the scampi was cold, even though it was not long open. The chicken korma, chicken pakora & sushi was delicious 😋 The ice cream was nice too! I hoped there would be shredded duck with pancakes but there wasn't. Maybe something to add? I also think that hand wipes or gloves should be made available as so many people touching the serving spoons. Buffet was £14.99 per adult for lunch.

Food was fantastic will go back thanks and they have a robot waiter what more can you ask for lol

We love dining out at Hot Flame, the staff are exceptionally lovely, the service is great and the quality of food is great. You are never made to feel you've stayed longer than you should and they have their usual choice of dishes but then there are always different choices to try too.

Great selection of food. I enjoyed their lamb curry and grilled food the most. Shout out to the Malaysian grill chef for his amazing grilling skill.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary with our kids. Welcoming and nice staff, delicious food and wide range of selection. Highly recommended 😊👍
Dora K-B — Google review
My fiancé and I came for lunch today and was told we had 30 minutes to enjoy what we could before the restaurant closed for turnover in time for reopening for dinner service. While we appreciate you and your staff thrive for professionalism across all areas of the business, and as a Hospitality Supervisor, I personally feel as though the company would benefit from doing less cleaning after lunch/before dinner service, and leaving the cleaning until after dinner service. This way guests don't feel like they have to feel rushed and actually be able to relax and enjoy their dining experience with you. The company would also save on labour costs by not having so many staff on shift during unnecessary times. Pawan was kind and generous enough to discount £10 off our bill, and for this we thank you graciously.
Sarah-Louise Tait — Google review
Was here last night for a family meal there was 10 of us, great choice & selection of food something for everyone! Staff were friendly & efficient when it came to clearing tables!
Stacie Fisher — Google review
Has everything you could want even a robot that serves your drinks! The kids loved that! Food is fresh and good choice of items. Get the freshly made naans they are great! Dessert bar has a chocolate fountain and a ice cream soft serve machine. If they only made fresh steaks on the grill would I rate the food higher. Only thing I was disappointed with are the teppanyaki steaks and scallops. Scallops were tiny and overcooked, as well as the teppanyaki steak.
Michael Bell — Google review
absolutely disgusting, was served raw chicken and when brought to the managers attention he was rude, dismissive and told me it was a ‘’fatty bit’’ when the chicken was clearly raw, he did not attempt to resolve this issue at all. this had been reported!! do not eat here!!!!!

This place is absolute chaos! I have gone up 3 seperate occasions and come back with an almost empty plate. There's barely anything left, you can hardly move for the people. I thought I'd grab something from the hot grill section and got steak slices asked for medium rare and couldn't finish the meat because it was so tough. Almost had a panic attack while waiting due to the crowd. I'm usually a big lover of sushi but I was really unimpressed by the strange selection available. Didn't try Indian food as I didn't fancy curry, almost everything in the Chinese section has been finished both times I attempted to get something. I ended up with a couple of slices of crispy pork and a spoonful of rice, a little overcooked steak meat and a few pieces of sushi I didn't like. I didn't even go near the dessert bar. I'm usually quite positive in my reviews but this is crazy.

Steak house
The Deer Park Beefeater is a popular pub-style chain that offers a diverse menu of grilled meats and international favorites like fajitas. As part of the Beefeater brand, this restaurant guarantees top-quality steak, with their 8oz fillet being particularly well-received for its tenderness. All their steaks are aged for at least 30 days, expertly grilled to perfection, and bursting with flavor.
Good food. They have an outside seating area which is handy if you're a dog owner. Ordered a burger and a mixed grill. Good portions.

Haven't been for a good while and now our usual closer place has decided to finish serving early this will be our new restaurant for a quick weekday or weekend bite. Plenty of choice on the menu and although I've not fancied burger for ages I went for one, not disappointed and was tasty. I like a thinner patty and this was perfect. Loads of dessert choices and will definitely be back to try others. This time I went for the crunchy cheesecake. Overall a good place to go where you can almost guarantee a seat and reasonably priced tasty food.

While the waitress was pleasant and polite, she was also forgetful. Ordered a drink and, as we were sat near the bar, I could see it was still there ten minutes later. I had to ask her if the drink was coming. Later, we were asked if we would like to see the desserts menu. That just never arrived. We ordered the kids dessert for my daughter and then asked for the bill. The menu has also changed dramatically and not for the better. Less choice than before. The glazed BBQ ribs were dry with small splodges of BBQ sauce on it. All in all, it was 90 minutes for a single course. I doubt we will be back.
Chris Scyner — Google review
I haven't been here in a while, and it wasn't bad the late time, but how it changed. l under the cost of living has gone up, but the cost was stupid for what you got. Portion size was very small, and when the food was brought out, some of the food was missing. over all it was not busy, but I had to change my order twice as they didn't have what I wanted in. so overall, very poor, don't waste your time money. Just nip down town only 10 min way and have a much better meal.

I had a lovely meal here while staying at the Premier Inn next door for work. The hotel booked me a table and on arrival it was greeted and rajen to my table. I ordered loaded nachos for a starter and mixed grill for my main and both were excellent, really tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout and iys a great place to visit for a meal and I'm happy to recommend to anyone.

Given menus by the server, then when tried to order were asked "where did we get them from, did we bring them in ". No Onion rings with steak, asked if still got comp side salad, told they would bring one, but we're charged £3.50. Ordered children's ice cream. Said didn't want choc flake, but raspberry sauce, came with flake no sauce
Mary Mclay — Google review
Staff are lovely, very welcoming and helpful. However, food wasn't great. Pepper sauce was cold and I had poured it all over my steakbeforerealising. One of our steaks was very rare in the middle and we had asked for well done. Breakfast - bacon and poached eggs was also cold on arrival. I would have sent it back if I hadn't been in such a big hurry.

I stayed with a colleague at the premier inn next to the Beefeater from the 16th to the 18th July 2023. We went to the Beefeater and had a single drink in the evening and also asked for a table. The jumped up team leader told us that we would have to queue up and wait our turn, (even though no-one was waiting??) We were sitting at the table next to waiting point and although no-one was waiting, and she knew we were waiting, she still refused to show us a table unless we stood up. She made us wait for two hours until we gave up and just ordered food at the bar and ate at the table we were sitting at in any case. So very petty and totally unfriendly. We believe that she seriously needs to have some customer relation training....

Stopped off here on the way back from Edinburgh airport and had a really good lunch. Chicken wings were super crispy.the tomato soup was nice and both mains fish and chips and the steak and chips were very tasty. The staff were all super friendly too.

We stayed for one night as its only about 6 miles from Edinburgh Airport. The price was really good. Got the mixed grill for dinner and it was nice and tasty, the nachos not so much. Over all the hotel was comfortable but could do with an update. I would stay again as its convenient for the airport. Yes there are closer hotels, but are much more expensive.

I’ve just had one of the best steaks from this lovely pub, I had it medium rare, it was a 10oz ribeye. It was cooked perfectly, it was easy to cut through and tasted beautiful. If your a steak lover this is the places for you

Ate at the beefeater in the evening and again the morning after while staying in the Premier Inn next door. The restaurant is super clean and the staff very pleasant. Food was good (standard menu stuff). Nothing was out of stock and service was very quick. A nice beefeater.

Nice food at affordable prices. We had a large group of friends and the staff kindly rearranged the tables so we could all sit together. The food was lovely and they offered some great lunchtime deals.

It’s a Beefeater.. you know it’s going to be good food and this was no different. The big thing here is how friendly all the staff have been during our weekend stay while up working in the area.. friendly manner and up for a laugh, which always makes a place more enjoyable to eat at.
Andy T — Google review
Booked online only to be told we had booked for a table “that didn’t exist”. The lady telling us had absolutely no sympathy, was incredibly rude and just straight up looked like she didn’t want us there, after we asked how long we’d need to wait got told that we’d have to wait a while as they had sat people at that table, honestly some of the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Place was practically empty and staff looked like they couldn’t even be bothered. Absolutely appalling

Pub
Restaurant
The Saltire is a traditional British pub that showcases televised sports and offers a familiar menu featuring grilled dishes and comforting global cuisine. The bar staff, particularly Lawrence, stand out for their exceptional service, always greeting patrons with a smile and engaging in lively conversations to foster a local atmosphere. With Lawrence at the helm, the bar/restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently, minimizing wait times for customers. The rest of the team also contributes to the overall enjoyable experience by ensuring everyone has a great time.
First time in the pub and I can say that it will not be the last. Not from the area but happened to be passing and thought we would pop in for a nice cold refreshment and WOW glad we did. 3 huge area indoors. 2 outdoor areas. Loads of TVs for sports. We then had a look at the menu and were spoilt for choice. We decided to get the flame grill burgers which were amazing. The staff were so friendly and well mannered. The manager was very helpful and helped us find a good seat and talked us through the menu. The place looked spotless. Seemed like it can just get busy in the matter of minutes and the staff could handle it. I would highly recommend going here. They even do functions and close off some of the restaurant which is then completely separate from everywhere else.

Staff were really friendly, food was lovely. There had been an issue in the kitchen so before ordering were warned of a delay, we chose to stay regardless and it was worth the wait. Great service, nice atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble x

10/10 would recommend We celebrated my mums 70th birthday at the Satire livingston last night. Service was impeccable. Everything ran so smoothly. We did the private dining experience and it was amazing. Danielle and the team went above and beyond to help us set up and create a beautiful relaxed environment. A class. Could do enough for us. In the evening Shannon, Barrie and the kitchen team were the same. Could not be more helpful. Would highly recommend for all things food, drinks, atmosphere and function related. Didn't even get photos of the food it was polished that quick. We all had the best time. Service was impeccable and timing and food quality was top notch. 10/10 would saltire again. Thank you everyone for helping us create a fabulous night for my mums birthday. One to be remembered. We will be back.

Had lunch in the Saltire on bank holiday Monday, we had booked a table for 12.30, we arrived at 12.25 on entering the building we were greeted by a loud shout ' have you booked ' I timidly said yes, the female on duty then pointed to a table across the room and said You can sit at that booth over there. Not a great start to proceedings. We placed our order and bought a drink , while we were waiting on our meal and during our meal the loud female was constantly shouting ' have you booked ' at a constantly growing line of potential customers or loudly directing people to a table instead of walking even half the way . There were only two members of staff on duty, at least one more would have made things a bit easier. On the food side of things, We had two mains for £13.49 great food and great value. Good menu with a nice variety of meals at reasonable prices. Will go again. If you are going best book a table it gets busy

The vibrant mexican restaurant Chiquito is a favourite with locals and visitors alike for its modern take on Mexican cuisine. From sizzling fajitas to stacked burgers, bursting burritos and tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs, there's something for everyone on the menu. Quick, efficient and friendly staff make dining at Chiquito a pleasure.
Staff were so friendly. Restaurant was reasonably busy but service was great. The lunch was piping hot and a neat portion, enough for lunch, and very tasty. Price fair for a 2 course lunch was £11.50. COVID standards very good too, which is so important. I would highly recommend

Went for a late lunch and we loved the atmosphere and the nice touches. Food was good although not necessarily exceptional. Portions were rightly sized, the guacamole was really fresh, chicken fajita and seabass with pineapple cooked well. Pleased with everything. And the toilets were clean too!

Hand on heart one of the best meals out we've had in a while, and by far the nicest Chiquitos we've been to. Excellent food cooked and served by excellent staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Niall in particular was very funny, friendly, and attentive. The online booking system was quick and easy to use, and our request on the booking that we were given a booth was honoured by the staff upon our arrival. The food itself was all really delicious and cooked perfectly. We were also impressed by how Covid safe they were. All staff wore their masks properly and the doors into the toilets had a mechanism that allowed you to pull them open using your foot. Would definitely return. 10/10

I've never been to a Chiquito before. I was blown away with the decorations, the food and the service. And to top it all off the knocked the price off bill for the foods my fussy kids didn't eat. Would highly recommend 👌

Great themed restaurant. Staff really pleasant and food is good, service is very good and fairly quick. I was surprised to be able to turn up and get seated straight away. It's a nice relaxed atmosphere and your not rushed to order. Good selection of drinks, starters and mains, I feel a little overpriced on some of the main meals. Desserts, churro's heaven.

Popped in for a late lunch while shopping in the centre. The restaurant was quiet and we were easily seated. Never been before but knew there would be a good range of tasty dishes. I opted for the burrito and was stuffed afterwards. The portions are big (for us) so glad we didn't get a starter and we were too full for dessert. I would go again and try the other items on the menu
