Visited The Bear Hotel today for a meal and highly recommend it. Despite being warned about potential delays in food service, the Real ale was exceptional and the dishes were individually prepared and served hot. The portions were generous, leaving me unable to finish my plate. I will definitely return to this favorite establishment for its consistently delicious meals. The owners are warm and welcoming, ensuring a pleasant dining experience every time.
Been in today for food . Could not recommend this place more . Was warned that the food might take some time to come out . But this was fine because the Real ale was superb 😁 and the food was worth the weight every dish individually cooked come out piping hot good size portions could not finish the plate 😋 Will definitely be going back 👍🏻

Great pub. Loads of space and good fresh nicely cooked food. The staff are always lovely. Really recommend if you are in Alcester.

Fell upon this place by accident! We ate first and second course, too full for dessert!!! Both excellent and piping hot. When we got the bill we thought they’d made a mistake by not changing us for the drinks. When we asked her, had she forgotten them she said no she hadn’t. This was our bill! EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY

Located conveniently on the main street, Cardamom Avant Garde Indian Cuisine is a well-designed and comfortable BYOB restaurant. The service staff warmly welcomes every customer and offers a friendly atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of delicious tandoori and curry dishes, with appetizing papadom & condiments starters to begin your meal. The naan bread and Malay curry are expertly seasoned and truly delightful.
I just had the most wonderful experience!. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is excellent and real top tier Indian food. I came with my fiancé and we were sat in a cosy snug round bench which we really appreciated! The service is second to none, our waiter Jay was really attentive and a credit to the restaurant. Thanks guys. Definitely going to be back 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Elena Dixon — Google review
This restaurant isn't your typical Indian, it's far too bright and more like a take away waiting area. The service was good and the food was excellent, with large portions. Only soft drinks are available but you can take your own drinks .The cost was reasonable.
Tony Jefferies — Google review
I'd just like to say I've ordered from this Indian 3 times now and every time the food as been beautiful. Tonight at short notice even when they were really busy they managed to do extra for me in a fast time so that the meal I had ordered was not ruined. They always put extra in which I feel is such a nice gesture. The place is immaculate and they are really welcoming. I highly recommend them and the food is really good value for money
Elaine Rooke — Google review
They fitted us in as a walk in, we were visiting our daughter who was working at Ragley Hall for the weekend. The food was fast, hot, very tasty, and prices are super reasonable when we compare to our locals in the west mids. We will go again if in the area.
Alison Rea — Google review
Cardamoms is good value for money and the food is very tasty. You have to take your own drink, which I don't mind but may put some people off. The waiting staff are friendly and helpful. Friday nights seem to be the time for large numbers of young people to get together for a meal, which is great, but the noise in the restaurant is terrible. I couldn't hear the person sitting next to me, let alone the rest of our party. Not the place for an intimate meal for two but great for a meet up with your mates.
Clare Smith — Google review
I love the service. Birthday-Party-meal, for 10 of us, really enjoyed the food, honestly could say its the best Indian-meal I have had in years! Very modern decor with very helpful staff who went beyond to cater for my son who has an allergy to nuts. i really appreciate their efforts for customers!
Fernando Ballard — Google review
This was my first meal at The Cardamom Restaurant with friends and without any doubt it was a total win for us. I'm sure this will not be our last visit to the restaurant we were all very impressed with the food and the service I would definitely recommend this Indian restaurant as one of the finest in the surrounding area. Just checking in diary now to see when we can arrange our next feast.
John Blockley — Google review
Met friends for a meal out and the food was delicious. Lots of choice and the portion size was very generous. I had a salmon dish which was fantastic. My wife had Garlic Lamb Tikka which was also lovely. We had Prawn on Puree as starters. It is a BYO so that is another great selling point. We parked in the car park just around the corner, behind the restaurant, which is free and only a short walk away.
Peter Lowe — Google review
It's conveniently located on the main street. The BYOB Indian restaurant is nicely designed, clean, and comfortable. Service staff is welcoming and friendly when we arrive! Good selections on the menu with different tandoori and curry dishes. The papadom & condiments starters are nice; the naan bread and Malay curry is well seasoned and delicious! The pilau rice is bit undercooked, with plenty of dried-rice! My spicy madras mixed tandoori meat Balti is average in taste and the lamb and prawns are overcooked...else the chicken is tender and well cooked! Overall there's still room for improvements, although this seems popular for the locals, and it's reasonably priced!

Ohhhh my god just ordered chicken chat, chicken spinach Balti madras, plus naan bread delivered earlier than expected, and ohh my god I've eaten Currys for a long time all over the midlands, and this is up there with anything I've ever had B4,thankyou will definitely be back
Martin Shannon — Google review
Popped in for dinner at the BYO curry house with the family as we were staying nearby. It was empty and absolutely freezing when we arrived around 6:30pm on a weekday. It must have been 15 or 16 degrees in there, and it stayed like that for the duration (I guess it is too costly for them to heat such a large space). That and the speaker distorting above our table somewhat detracted from the atmosphere... Friendly service and pretty decent standard Indian restaurant food (but definitely, and probably thankfully, nothing 'avant garde' about it!) Seemed to be just the one guy taking takeaway orders and waiting tables so it took a while to get the bill, but otherwise it was ok.

The Indian restaurant Panache 50 offers excellent cuisine and good service. Even during a busy weeknight, when the Euros were on, they took the time to explain the menu and offer dishes that were not familiar to us. We tried some off-menu items such as chili cheese and keema naan, which were absolutely delicious. The food was all of high quality with generous portions and full of flavor.
Fantastic food and superb staff who were very patient and helpful with the menu and our many questions. Nice atmosphere and super clean so absolutely first class, we even met the chef Ali who was so friendly and humble despite his huge talent and obvious experience. Looking forward to our next visit despite living over 100 miles away!

Wow...Great food with perfect service 👌. Well done guys for providing us with a great night 🙏.
Richard Ashman — Google review
Excellent food, service was good too, we visited early on a week night during the Euros, we were the only diners. The waiter took the time to explain the menu and some of the dishes we were not familiar with. Ordered a couple of things not on the menu including a chilli cheese and keema naan. This was no problem and utterly delicious. All the food was excellent, good portion sizes and plenty of flavour. I enquired about dessert, hoping they might do something prepared by the kitchen to the same high standard as the rest of the food, but unfortunately they don't. At least they don't offer a bought in choice Everywhere looked very clean and well presented. Looking forward to our next visit.

My only go-to Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant/takeaway. Stunning food. Excellent service. Great ambiance. Always made welcome by Ray, Omar and the team. I've eaten most of the menu, but I especially recommend dhansak, and ask for it extra hot, if that's your thing.

We have had the BEST experience at Panache this evening, we have been well and truly looked after with unbeatable, friendly service and delicious food! We enjoyed a variety of starters, mains & finished with a baileys. We have never had a bad meal at Panache, including takeaways and will always recommend these lovely guys to everyone. Thanks again, we will definitely be back very soon. Amy! X

LOVED IT HERE! I love that the staff treated us like friends and took the time to have conversations with us outside of the usual chit chat and Ray even bought us a drink. Food was exceptionally good. I particularly enjoyed my starter. Would highly recommend this place.

Didn’t have a table booking but seated us quite quickly. Service was great. Mojas was great server. Food was also very tasty. We had the tandoori mix think it was a little too small though for £14 and then the lamp chop curry was lush.
Laxmi Mistry — Google review
Lovely little find. After walking the river in Bideford we wanted a place to stop off at before heading home, this place was lovely. The staff make it, we felt like King and Queen with the chairs pulled out for us and quick service. The food arrived very quick and was super tasty, a little hot for our taste but still tasty. Next time we are in the area we will definitely go back. Thank you Panache 50 team for a lovely evening.

What a treat! Super food and service. Great atmosphere but it is the food and service that is excellent. Add the fact that this all comes with superb value for money. Will be going again soon. Love it!

Pub
The Turks Head is a charming establishment with friendly and attentive personnel. The warm reception and crackling fireplace create a delightful atmosphere for lunchtime visits. It is advisable to book in advance to secure a table at this popular English pub restaurant, known for its dedication to customer satisfaction. The menu offers delectable options such as the delectably baked cod with mushrooms and chorizo, all reasonably priced. This fine old pub emphasizes excellent service and provides an enjoyable dining experience.
Excellent pub ,food was tasty nicely presented and good value for money.Service attentive.

A very busy pub. Saturday night rammed. We had a table booked. The "music" was just instrumental noise. Very strange but they turned it off in our area when we asked as we couldn't hear ourselves think or talk to one another. Food was ok. A different selection to run of the mill pubs which was nice. Everything looked nice. Some things didn't have a huge amount of taste. The fish cakes were ball shaped but didn't have much fish in them. We would return but not on a Saturday night.
Alison Kielty — Google review
Had a nice time here and the food was delicious and I didn't think it was overly priced and the staff were really nice to talk to. The outside area is nice and cosy too.
Queen Dee — Google review
We enjoyed our starters so much we wanted to order them all over again and maybe skip the mains... but a delicious Pizza and a Turks Head Burger didn't disappoint and rounded off a very tasty and enjoyable meal... No room for pud but... like Arnie... "I'll be back..!"... Recommended ;-)

Lovely welcome from the pleasant staff and roaring Wood fire for our lunchtime visit today. Always best to reserve ahead. Beautiful baked fillet of cod with mushrooms and chorizo, and very reasonable price. Definitely recommended, a fine old English pub restaurant that cares about customer service.
Paul Unwin — Google review
Had a fantastic meal 19/01/24 evening with my family. The pub was rammed but the food and our hostess were utterly superb, nothing was to much trouble. We had visited last summer on a lunchtime and decided to give an evening meal a try, not disappointed everybody loved their food. Will definitely be back and our extended family will be trying to. Thank you to all the staff at the Turks head for a blinding experience 😍

We stopped by in a weekend trip recently for some lunch and weren't disappointed. The spicy burger and Cajun chicken pitta were both delicious and the real ale was perfectly kept. Highly recommended.

Didn't book a table for dinner but the nice chap behind the bar found me a table for one. Great menu, not over complicated & really good food. There was a buzz about the place & other guests leaving had all had a good visit. 2nd visit to the Turks & will be a regular stop when in the area.

Booked a table for 7pm. service was excellent within 5mins we had our drinks, had our menus, couple of staff checking.back an forth to see if we were ready to order, place was rammed in the bar as we entered, the lounge was at the rear with plenty of room tables. Food came within 15mins, great service, great staff, really nice tasty food, drink, main meal, pud for £23 a head, kids welcome, all in all a great 65th birthday treat

Decided by the off chance to see if i could get a table. The staff assistant was friendly and welcoming. The wait was longer than normal for food to arrive(around 35mins) The food we ordered ( big turk burger & chicken and mayo) was unreal. Great taste and the high light was the big juicy chips.

The Roebuck in Alcester is a traditional pub that provides comfortable rooms and a complimentary breakfast. It also features an elegant dining area and a patio. This venue has gained a reputation for its outstanding food, attentive staff, and welcoming atmosphere. It is particularly popular during the Christmas season as it can accommodate large family gatherings. Although not widely known outside of Alcester, locals are aware of its excellent restaurant offering delicious meals at affordable prices.
A hidden gem of a pub and restaurant. Not well known outside of Alcester, but locals all know it for excellent restaurant food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff, table service for drinks and food. Spotlessly clean, well presented to inside. Real wood fires to keep you warm in cooler months. Plenty of free parking.
Stuart Beamish — Google review
Went for Sunday lunch yesterday and all 4 of us chose the roast, pork shoulder. On a positive note, the Roebuck is a very smart looking restaurant and the staff were very polite and attentive. However, a little too attentive at times as we were asked THREE times if our meal was OK. As for the meal, this was a disappointment. I appreciate one man's meat is another man's poison but, although the pork was nice, the crackling had no taste except the taste of old fat. The stuffing was too soft, not crispy and the roast potatoes were also bland. The cauliflower cheese was also bland with stringy cheese which suggests mozzarella was used rather than mature cheese. Our biggest issue by far was the fact that everything on the menu was priced up EXCEPT the Sunday roast. We soon found out why when the bill arrived. To charge £23.95 for a Sunday roast is a disgrace. This was almost the price of a steak. When we have dined in other local establishments, a Sunday roast is usually £14 to £16, and I have to say they have tasted much better than this one. Unfortunately we will not be returning for overpriced underwhelming food
Andrew Bird — Google review
I have eaten at the Roebuck many times and cant fault it. The menu is varied, food always well cooked and well presented. The portions are good as well. I can thoroughly recommend the Roebuck. Service excellent as well.

Recently enjoyed a lovely large group meal here. Nothing was too much trouble! The homemade tomato soup created by owner himself was divine. Also really enjoyed my burger, highly recommend! The group ordered a variety of dishes and everyone commented how good the food and service was!

A lovely place to eat. I highly recommend it. The food was really great and the staff very hospitable. We had a late arrival and they waited for her to arrive before cooking our menu choices. We also felt comfortable sitting and chatting afterwards whilst they tidied up around us. We'll definitely go back if possible.

As always brilliant, venue, superb staff and great food. We go there annually for a Christmas family gathering as we are scattered across the southern half of the UK. We always request then snug or side room as it accommodates about 12 of us and we can relax without being overheard. I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending this place.

When in with three friends for a meal after attending a classic car show at nearby Ragley Hall. Lovely food in relaxed and comfortable surroundings complemented by excellent service. Funnily enough a notable part of the meal was the quality of the French Fries: they were amazing!!!

My fella and I popped in one Thursday evening. Took the dog and sat in the bar area. They supplied a bowl of water for her which was a thoughtful touch. Food was really good. Great atmosphere with friendly staff. Got chatting to either the owner or landlady when leaving about dogs. We will definitely be returning
